Nice place for families and kids. Got kids parks and BBQ area as well.

A great spot in the summer. Fast to get to and plenty of parking. Not crowed out. Swimming was great. Water was refreshing but not cold. Swim platforms are anchored a short distance off the beaches. There is clean sand and grass perfect for picnics. A kiosk is available for coffee, cold drinks, snacks and ice creams. The dam is perfect for swimming with the ducks.

Was so nice to find this lake. A little beach area on both sides of the lake. Everyone was there swimming, paddle boarding. Great walking area over the bridge and to the other side of the lake. Also a tea house was there. Had a good variety of choices of food and snacks.

Beautiful spot to visit for a walk, fresh and play with the kids. Lots of picnic areas and parking. Toilet facilities available.

This is a beautiful and relaxing place to go, whether it be to just sit and enjoy the scenery or going for a casual stroll on the well maintained walking track around the lake. If you want you can go for a swim or take in a bit of fishing.

Beautiful lake. When we visited it started raining so could not finish the walk. I saw people enjoyong BBQ and swim in the lake. Great play area for kids too.

I used Cook Park as the background for a cake smash and it went fantastic. The grounds are beautiful - even in winter. The grass is green, the flowers are bright. There is a playground for the older child to play on while the baby had his photos taken, and the birds in the aviary were fantastic, both kids were obsessed. There are an abundance of picnic tables, so there's never a shortage of places to sit and enjoy the scenery, and there is parking along all sides of the block so parking is a breeze.

first time I found this park when I'm driving around Orange. it's quite a big for a park with a lot of huge trees. when you have a closer look to the tree, it has a box of description about the tree. apparently some of them is USA origin. It has aviary park, contain sleepy cockatoos (I really hope they can sleep well 🥺), and some other small colourful birds. It has female and male toilet. on the way there you can see a water fountain with statue in the middle, some boys pouring water. and there is drinkable water fountain next to it (just a friendly reminder, don't drink from the statue) 😇.

Cook Park truly is a gem in the heart of town. It's amazing how a space so tranquil and peaceful can exist in the midst of all the hustle and bustle. I particularly enjoyed learning about the history of the park while exploring the different sections, such as the Bagonia greenhouses. It's always fascinating to discover the stories behind these types of public spaces and to see how they have evolved over time. The park is flat and easy to navigate for people with limited mobility or disabilities. The stunning old trees are a highlight of the park and add so much character to the space. It's amazing to think about how long they have been there and how much history they have witnessed. Overall, I would definitely recommend a visit to Cook Park to anyone looking for a serene and informative outdoor experience. It's a great place to escape from the chaos of everyday life and connect with nature and history at the same time.

A good place to hang out with family and friends. Children will surely enjoy the fountain, pond, swing, birds, etc. I spent Australia Day 2022 here with my good friend. 😍

Stunning park. It has so many gorgeous things to explore! From an aviary, to a rose garden, playground and more. It has plenty of seating under the beautiful trees, toilets and lots of stunning picnic spots. Plenty of parking around the perimeter. Highly recommended.

The best garden in Orange. Beats orange Botanical gardens by miles. This is close to the city and nicely laid out. The main attraction is the pond, aviary and the tall cedar trees. Loved visiting this garden and will be back for sure. Well maintained.

Very nice place to visit on a Sunday afternoon. I love the amount of trees and the shade they provide. Plenty of chairs and open space for play or to relax. A nice rose garden and a free bird enclosure there as well. Pkenty of duck ponds if you would like to feed the ducks and ducklings. Would highly recommend.

Beautiful medium sized park, with lots to see (much preferred than botanic gardens). Autumn colours drifting into winter browns. Aviary (talking cockatoos, budgerigars, cockatiels, galahs) - seem happy enough for caged birds (cockatoo eager to hole punch a finger). Fernery and Conservatory (full of flowering Begonias) were shut, but could still look in the windows. Guild craft shop lovely to visit (especially if you like slices and jams / chutnies). Trees are magnificent. Roses wilting for winter.

This is a ture gem I absolutely loved the flowers tree s and sculpture s were magnificent the shop was excellent I highly recommend it to families with children because of the beautiful duck pond with the bridge and the trees are just splendid

A lovely little park, close to the centre of town. Hlit has a lovely little aviary, a fernery and a conservatory, and some magnificent mature tree specimens. There are often thousands of fruit bats roosting there in spring.

Really warm and inviting cellar door experience. Was pleased that Zac accommodated us at short notice. Good amount of seating inside and out. We had a table outside so glad they had the open fire pits going to keep us warm. Tasting was $15 a head for 6 wines which is on the pricier end. Very good wines although not my preferred in the region. Kids had a great time in the petting zoo and sand pit. Happy with the complimentary Tesla charging stations too.

Great wine tasting experience. Served by three legends Chris , Chewy and Lauren, made us feel so welcome, explained everything so well and were very patient with our questions:D , such excellent service. Heifer’s Pinot Gris and Merlot were the winners for us. Kids loved the animals at the farm. Highly recommended, especially if kids are accompanying you. You can enjoy wine tasting while kids are busy with lovely animals at the farm. 5 starts , will be back whenever visiting orange.

We had a lovely time with our family in the winery. Kids are allowed in the winery as they have a petting farm, sand pit for kids to enjoy while their parents taste the wine. 15$ each for wine tasting and the staffs were really good.

Absolutely loved the rustic farm vibe of this winery, and it was very welcoming to the kids. It's the perfect place to get out with the family, for a relaxing afternoon with delicious wine and cheese platters. All while sending the kids off to run around, play in the sandpit or pat the animals. Their range of preserved goods is also fantastic, I highly recommend buying a jar of their Zucchini Pickles. Its also extremely picturesque, so make sure to take some snaps!

Beautiful place to visit! We did a wine tasting while the kids had a mini lunch and got to see all the animals that are there. The atmosphere is relaxed and the grounds are amazingly kept, with some beautiful wines to try!

Beautiful venue! There are farm animals out the back to keep the kids entertained. We had the cheese platter with our wine tasting which was amazing! Couldn’t resist buying a jar of the marinated figs to take home 🤤

We had an amazing experience doing a wine tasting with chewy as our host. He was super friendly and down for a chat to explain the local history of the area and vineyard. We were there on a rainy day and the vibe was very cosy and relaxing. The cheeseboard was also delicious! We’d recommend everyone put this as a stop on their tour if exploring different wineries in orange

Friends recommended Heifer as must visit winery and we can see why. Very Instagrammable with friendly service, superb wines and even a farmyard animals, there was something for everyone. They even convinced me to give Chardonnay another go and I am a convert. It even came with EV chargers suitable for a Tesla or BYD which made our friends very happy to charge up whilst wine tasting 🍷

We shared a great wine tasting experience in the rustic building with the service and knowledge provided to be acceptable. You’re best to visit whilst there’s no rain to ensure you can experience outdoor paddocks with the farm animals.

Love every minute of this wine tasting experience. The wine makers were experienced and thoughtful when addressing her audience and was very generous in suggesting other avenues to explore. We had a wonderful time and will be back. This is a family friendly place with a little petting zoo and some fun old school games to play! Good times!!

A truly beautiful and cosy wine tasting experience. This cellar door was full of charm as was Chewy our wine tasting host. Stopping in towards the end of a day with a friend we were warmly met. The wines themselves were also poured with pizzaz and charm. We loved the cheese board so much we ended ordering a second. Thanks team for a truly beautiful destination to sample your story in a glass in great surroundings.

We were a group of six who enjoyed a very informative and fun filled afternoon …. loved the wine tasting experience and the cheese platter which was a big hit. Nice facilities including a welcoming fire place …. a very interesting winery with expansive grounds to explore. Had a lot of laughs with “hanson” “Chewy” …. a likeable and friendly lad, a bit cheeky with a good sense of humour who certainly knew his wines. A visit is highly recommended. Hey Chewy …. Visited during summer and felt that this would be so much better to visit during Autumn or winter. The park is good but is no match for the Botanical gardens in Sydney. You are better off going to Cook Park. But if you happen to be here, do enjoy it. Plenty of photography locations inside.

Beautiful garden to have a nice walk. Kid and dog friendly. A must visit on autumn. Just look at the beautiful trees!! A nice and huge playground nearby, and a cute little cafe that provides outdoor seating as well. They made beautiful coffee and food. Too bad we were there after lunch so they have ran out of stuffs that we wanted to try. Would love to visit the garden when it's snowing!

Nice walk around the Gardens with grandkids. They loved the turtles and ducks and birds .Great place for weddings ect picnics with family and friends.

Beautiful and close to the city centre. In autumn they have a few bunch of very beautiful colorful trees but the rest are mostly native and evergreen. Not sure about the spring flowers

When we visited the botanical gardens in Orange, we were initially surprised by the abundance of evergreen trees instead of the traditional autumn colours we had expected. However, we quickly realized that the lush greenery was just as beautiful. One unexpected surprise was the number of fruit trees in the garden. We were delighted to see a variety of fruit trees throughout the gardens. It was a unique and enjoyable experience that we didn't expect to find in a botanical garden. The garden's dog-friendly policy was also a plus, and we enjoyed seeing other people walking their pets. The park was peaceful and serene, and we appreciated the opportunity to escape the hustle and bustle of the city for a while. Overall, while the botanical gardens in Orange may not have had the traditional autumn colours we were expecting, we found the lush greenery and abundance of fruit trees to be a wonderful surprise. It's definitely worth visiting if you're in the area and looking for a peaceful place to take a walk, especially if you're a dog owner.

It was a calm walk, very serene. When it doesn't snow, it's not as pretty but then you get to focus on yourself and enjoy your walk learning about the different flowers and how they arrived in Orange.

What a beautiful botanic gardens! We didn't have time to see it all, but I loved the thoughtful collections. I especially loved the rosacea collection, the apple and pear orchard with windmill and the weeping elm. I look forward to seeing more next time. Plenty of spots to sit and enjoy. Bathroom facilities and cafe nearby. Looking forward to visiting again.

The ladies at the info centre were so helpful and understanding of our modest goals to get long term (all day), free parking and scones. We got the free, long term parking and scones. Google was not as helpful. So, yeh, ten points Information Centre. Lovely building too, good architecture and nice aircons on a windy, warm day.

A very clean and well organised centre. The staff were extremely helpful and answered all my questions. They provided options and made suggestions that I understood and made sense. The stock looked like good quality and were interesting and made great presents. Avery enjoyable experience.

Was from another town researching venues for a family reunion & the lady with whom we spoke with was brilliant, she marked venues on a local map , and shared a lot of local knowledge to help us narrow down a lot of venues to book something in . It was very much appreciated

Visited Orange this weekend to see what the area offered. Found the visitor information centre very helpful. They have a local history Museum for free and a good Cafe next door. Used the information received to get around. Especially the tip of a great curry restaurant Maithil Rasoi see my review. The wineries trip was a bit disappointing as the ones who had restaurants were booked solid and didn't have enough staff to serve. The views from the Borrodell wine tasting lookout were fantastic. See my separate review. They have plenty of maps and suggestions on where to go, even when it's raining!

Lovely staff here. The volunteers at the front desk and in the museum section were very nice. We had a great chat with a local woman who was keen to highlight some of the nice restaurants in town, as well as giving us some advice on the markets and other activities that were on over the weekend. You can get some great guides and maps here. This is especially good if you're looking for "what's on" guides. Sometimes the smaller venues or events are not listed online, so it's good to drop in and get flyers for local art galleries etc.

Great welcome and service from the ladies on the counter. Abundant information and local products to buy. Bought presentation boxes of local products to give as gifts.

Very modern centre that is also the entrance to the museum, with the art gallery across the court yard.

Clean and tidy with a few little souvenirs and supplies. Bought some local olive oil which was the main reason to go there. Plenty of parking in the street. Little Cafe next door although didn't go there, we went into the museum though.

Stunning views, plenty of walking/hiking tracks. The summit is a bit rough, but a must visit location of your in the area.

Great natural resource to visit near Orange. Multiple bushwalking options from short and flat to challenging. Toilet facilities at the summit. No dogs allowed though.
