It is one of safest beach in India,situated at South Andaman. You can enjoy total day here but some foods to carry. Back to back high tides would come but no need to dare. Without swim you can als enjoy Sun burn on beach side table. Scenic view is also best.

The cleanest beach I have been to on Havelock island. This beach is known for its sunset, which is definitely the best beach sunset I have seen so far in my life. This beach has a lot of tourist especially during the evening time, but its pretty spread out so you don't realize how busy it is.

This is one of the most beautiful beaches in Asia and we can say this is the most beautiful beach in India. For the unique beauty of the beach this is famous worldwide. There is no restriction on swimming there but when we visited this place last month, swimming was prohibited as a crocodile was seen near water some days before. Paid Lockers and showers are available there. The beach is covered with topical jungles from both sides. There are a lot of huts, chairs and benches scattered around the beach along with the tall trees which can give shade. So this place is perfect for relaxation and enjoying the extraordinary view of nature. There are different kinds of food stalls, restaurants, and shopping points around the entry gate. Foods are allowed to be taken with you and also you can eat them on the beach. To view the sunset it is better to reach there before 4.30 pm so that you can get enough time to relax, see the sunset and leave the beach area before it closes down. Left and right sides of the beach are the perfect places to walk in the evening enjoying the vibe of walking through the jungle as the area is surrounded by dense rainforest trees. Overall this place is one of the centre attractions of the Andaman tour.

Pristine beach, with clear water and white sand, which gives it that aqua blue appearance. Easily the cleanest beach I've come across in Andamans. Perfect for amazing sunset views too. We went during the peak season so it was very crowded. But if you walk further along the shore you are sure to find less crowded areas, as most of the crowd is usually right at the entrance. Changing rooms, toilets and locker facilities available close by, but we didn't use any of those, so can't advise on the quality.

We had landed up a bit early, in the sense that it was extremely hot on this Hot April afternoon. After a wait, sheltered under the trees where benches made of log of wood . Later we ventured out. If you come to the back and look at the white sand, blue sea and green trees, it was simply awesome. We really enjoyed the swimming as the water is very shallow and for safety sake a area was been disembarked so that you don't go to the danger area. I had invested in swimming goggles especially for this beaches where I know there is lot of marine life not actually visible over the water but as we go under water wearing the Goggles was amazed to see so many Jellyfish floated around. Yes, it's not surprising to find that this is one of the best beaches in the world. There is changing rooms, showering rooms available at a nominal fee. Which is good. There are a few restaurants and tea shops, snacks and coconut, fruits etc available near the parking lot

Had a good experience 😌. If you want to go to enjoy properly. Reach the museum at 3:50 Pm. The ticket counter closes at 4:00 PM. Get tickets and go inside. Explore everything in 1 hour. And also get a light and show ticket of 1st show. Book that show tickets online. And enjoy it and listen the veergatha for 1 hour. 5 to 6 pm in the evening.

This place holds the remembrance of the struggle, freedom fighters went through. The light and sound show was amazing, we got goosebumps throughout. It was beautiful and very well directed, showcasing the history of cellular jail and Andaman. If you are at Port Blair, this place should be at the top of your list. This place has great historical significance for India and the jail premises have been well-maintained. I visited on a weekday and it was still pretty crowded. Most of the tourists here are Indians. Don't be surprised to see tourists take prop selfies by locking themselves inside the prisons which once incarcerated freedom fighters. While a lot of modernization has been done, it could do better. Toilets need to be maintained better. Audio guides need to be introduced for places with historical significance.

Historic place. Also taking a guide will help a lot. The guides there charge a nominal fee but it will be worth it. The national monument takes you back to daunting and dark phase of our history. The stories we hear is so scary and sends chill. The light and sound show in the evening is pretty ordinary and honestly we thought it can skipped.

Visited the Light and Sound Show. The setup is very good, gives emense history of the Freedom fighters struggle and role in Freedom movement. The management is so organized from availability of tickets, entry and seating as per ticket number. The overall experience of visiting this Heritage monument is fulfilling. Great work from the management and organizers putting up the brilliant laser show, and must mention that the monument is preserved extremely well.. The island was named after Daniel Ross, a British marine surveyor. In pre-independence India, this island was a British colony where administrative activities were at a peak. It was called Paris of the East’ and even now you can find the remnants of that colonial period. A tour in this island takes you down to road of nostalgia and also offers you an escape from the clutter of busy tourist locations in Andaman. The flora and fauna you witness in this island are amazing, and the population of peacocks, birds, and deers on the island will amaze you too. The variety of plant species on this island is also great. The ruins of a church, the cellular jail, a bakery, and several other buildings are there to be explored too. Now, the Indian Navy maintains the former British Administrative Headquarters and its numerous historic ruins. There is the Smritika Museum (Indian Navy) which is well maintained and the newest attraction for visitors is a sound and light show. It takes place every evening barring Wednesday and major holidays. From Port Blair, the majority of tourists prefer using boats to reach the island. It does not take much time and the boat ride is quite economical too. A number of tour operators offer a trip to this island from the Phoenix Bay Jetty or Aberdeen Jetty. The boat ride from Port Blair to Ross Island takes 10 to 15 minutes, approx. Current name of this island is Subhas Dweep.

A secluded island near Port Blair with many destructive structures and ruins from the past. Not much to see here but there were a lot of spotted deer roaming this place so one can also touch and play with them. The water surrounding this island is very beautiful and crystal clear. Old British colonial architecture ruins and a beach that's inaccessible after the 2005 tsunami. Though efforts have been made to make the Ferar beach accessible now. You can see the lighthouse afar from a point that was depicted in the old red 20 rupee note.

1 hour given by boats is not enough to cover this island with ease. Try to talk to the boat guy to allow you to spend more time and return in another boat if possible. Do this if you don't plan to visit North Bay for water sports which is better to do at Havelock or Neil anyways

Ross island is a great place to spend a day. You can walk with deers who freely roam around the island and see a large species of birds. The light house is also great. It is better to not take the golf cart as you will miss out on all the great historical places that come along the way. Ferry ticket is 370/head.

A must visit place if you are in Andaman. We saw multiple peacocks, Rabbits and deer roaming around. A boat ride can be arranged from Rajiv Gandhi water sports complex which should take around 400 rs per person for to and fro. You will be allowed to spend a couple of hours and then can come back in same boat. Battery operated Rickshaws are available on Island, Rickshaw wala will also tell you the stories about island.

There is not a lot of things to see on this island. But view from here is breathtaking. Deers , rabbits and peacocks runs around freely in this island.

Ross 🏝Island, fondly called it the "Paris of the East".This place was once under the administrative headquarters for the British. This island was destroyed and damaged twice, first by earthquake and later by tsunami. Many buildings are consumed by the trees of the island. Can see free roaming spotted deer, many Bulbul, Bakery from the British Era. Old harbour and light House🏠. Light House is at the Northern end of the🍃💦 island on an offshoot rock, constructed in 1977.The photo voltaic panels were introduced for the first time in India to charge the batteries for the operation of light.

We took a boat journey which covered Ross island and North Bay island. The boat drops you at Ross island and lets you explore for 1.5 hours. You can walk and explore the island, and there are battery operated cars as well which charges 80 rs per head to pick you up and drop. There are abandoned old buildings from the British era, such as barracks, bakeries etc. At the end you can walk up to the abandoned lighthouse as well. Lots of deer and peacocks around. It was an okay experience.

Never seen such a beautiful Island. Andaman is blessed with one of the best Islands of India. The place will take you through the past. The buildings says its too old. You can feel History of British people here. This place will remind you how powerful is time. A must visit place in your lifetime. But take your time here. The boatmen are only taking you here for money they will only give you 1 hour to visit this place but this place deserves more than 3 hour to feel the oldness of this place. A nice place to visit. Just s 5 min boat ride from rajiv Gandhi water sports Complex to this island. But nowadays they want us to cover the whole island in 1 hour and it's very difficult. They don't allow us to trek and explore the place. We need to take the electric vehicle from inside which they were forcing us and was just for their business. But the place is really good to explore with deers, peacocks. The old buildings are completely covered with roots of trees and you get a different feel there. Walking through the bridge to the light house is also exciting

This is the one of the best attraction nearby Port Blair. You can reach here by boats from Marina Park jetty.It gives you a private island vibe. The moment you land, you will notice a valley of coconut trees along with a large number of deers just roaming around. You would feel like spending most of your time there. However, the best point of the island (the lighthouse tower) lies at the opposite end of the island. You can trek there if you have the stamina and time.It will take approx 30 min by foot uphill. Otherwise you can take the ride car.They will also give you some history lesson of the place. You will have to walk about 50-70 stairs for the lighthouse. But the view is worth it. The photos and videos on the bridge are truly insta worthy.Dont forget to try the kulphi ice cream on your way.

Very bad service. I have booked a ticket for today at night the payment was successfully done but they didn't send the Pnr.and there is no assistance for online booking. Then y u have given customer care and all if ur not providing any assistance at thev same time.

The boat ride from Havelock to Neil islands was like hell. The AC was not working and even after repeated requests there was no one from the team coming to repair it. The customers were left stranded, especially kids and elders who were feeling suffocated and nauseous. When asked to bring the technician, he did not come. When asked for his superior, the Chief Engineer came and said he was not authorised to handle such complaints. When asked to call the captain, he purposely did not come until the ship had to sail again and then he gave a warning that if we don't get off he will get us off forcefully. This is extremely bad behaviour with no consideration for the customers. More surprising was that they made other customers boars the ship for the next trip even though they knew that the AC was not working. I guess the captain (not naming to protect his identity) and his chief engineer at Makruzz just enjoy putting people in their suffocating ships! Pathetic behaviour of the team and no help provided by the management. Enter at your own risk! The team on board wasn't ready to take our complaint since as per them they weren't authorised. The team on ground didn't know what to do with the complaint. Highly mismanaged! P.S.: Images of the chief engineer running away when he got to know we were taking pictures.

This is the most commonly used cruise services to travel between the islands of Andaman. The well designed interior and low ticket cost(compared to others) attracts a lot of tourists. Advantage : 1. The view and the wall glass are very clear. 2. The payable food facility is good. Negatives : 1. The seat got changed at the time of cruise time. It does not remains the same as mentioned / selected during the booking. 2. The attitude of the representatives at the island are worst.

We travelled from port Blair to swaraj dweep...the cruise was initially late ...but overall a good experience on board...but they need to improve on their boarding announcements...there was a huge crowd waiting...and suddenly they announced that its a last and final boarding call ..there was never earlier calls...and when we confronted them , they didnt have a clue either...this is very bad professionalism...when a ticket has been taken , its the prime responsibility of the service provider to keep passengers informed ....they need to improve on this and equip their staff to all these informations to be relayed...but once inside it was fun all around ..the small eatery with cup noodles , samosa , tea , coffee etc...was good...managed by the staff well..on return the cruise was in choppy water , against the natural wave flow...hence lot of people became sick , but their staff ensured proper care of everyone....

I recently had the opportunity to travel with Makruzz on my journey from Port Blair to Havelock Island and back from Neil Island to Port Blair. The seating was comfortable, which I appreciated during the transit. However, my experience was marred by the presence of cockroaches onboard, which raised concerns about the cleanliness and hygiene maintained by the ferry service. Additionally, I was taken aback by the exorbitant prices charged for food and beverages. A Thums Up, usually priced at ₹40, was being sold for ₹100, and a KitKat, marked at ₹20, was available for ₹50. This significant markup on MRP is not only unethical but also illegal as per Indian consumer laws. When I questioned the staff about this practice, their response was dismissive, suggesting that I should take it or leave it. This attitude towards customer service and the blatant disregard for legal pricing regulations has left me disappointed. While the journey itself was smooth, the ancillary services provided by Makruzz need substantial improvement. I hope that by bringing these issues to light, future travelers will have a more pleasant experience, and the company will take steps to address these concerns.

Travelling between Andaman islands by a Makruzz Ferry is very convenient. Makruzz is the first private ferry company to start ferry services for tourism in Andaman island and has largest and long serving fleet of ferry. Over the years it has established itself for timely departure and schedule performance with the multiple ferry they operate. There isn’t an open deck. The seats inside Makruzz Ferry have windows which give you a clear view of the water outside 3 seating options are available there : Premium, Deluxe and Royal Royal is on the upper deck of the ferry with best and is the most luxurious class with big window with only 8 seats making it a exclusive class. Deluxe and Premium are lower deck of the ferry and also has window for outside view. Deluxe in on the front and Premium is on the back. Makruzz is a high speed ferry, all the passenger seating area and classes are fully air conditioned multi media and entertainment system all the seats are modern and provide maximum comfort with onboard cafeteria. It was a pleasant travel from Neil island to havlock island , that we undertook .

Was worried of delays, loud music and seasickness as mentioned in some reviews but everything was perfect. On time from Port Blair to Havelock and to Neil, music was good and moderate volume and it was a smooth sailing. Food options were also good as we were on board at lunch time.

A beautiful beach with clear water and clean sand. Less crowded which makes it so easier to take photographs. This is one of the must visit beaches in Havelock and one can spend some quality time here. It's a little sunny to visit during light hours. Visiting during sunset is apt and stunning view can be observed. Overall an important place to visit during your trip to Andaman!

This is a truly pristine beach with beautiful aquamarine waters. The waves are gentle and the sea is smooth. If you can make it over the sharp pebbles, the crystal clear water is perfect for swimming and floating. As an added bonus you get to see loads of fish swimming around you. There are toilets and changing rooms available.

Sea with different colors may be due to corals. If you visit at the winters, you will have shacks to lie down and watch the tranquility. You can drink, eat, sleep right on the sea beach. In the summer months you will get roasted due to heat.

Kalapathar beach is a long stretch of white silky sand with big black rocks beside the blue sea. It is situated on one corner of Havelock and is a continuation of beach No. 5. The beach can get a bit crowded in high season, but if you walk further to the south you’ll find yourself completely alone. There is a small lodging path through the green jungle, where once was an elephant training camp, but nowadays all you’ll find is a secluded beach. The water is deep enough to swim and it is not affected by tides. There are some rocks and corals so do take care while going into the water. Kalapathar offers a couple of umbrellas and wooden chairs. There is also a small picnic area with trash bins set in the shade of the trees. In season locals sell fresh coconuts and mango juices, but there are no other facilities.

Personally saying, This must be in your checklist while visiting Hevelock. So clear water and white sand presents exquisite Landscape. Less crowded and best for photography. If you want ideal beach photographs then this is the place. It's beauty can't be expressed in words yet underrated and unexplored

Easily the most underrated beach of Havelock. It's a very small beach but the water was so serene, a mix of blue at the far end of the sea, black of the stones and nearer green of the water. Relatively less crowded than the Elephant beach and Radhanagar beach. Didn't get the opportunity to see sunrise here but apparently it's a sight.

Kala pathar name came from Black Rocks. The beach has Rocks with sharp edges which makes the swimming difficult there and it is a relatively small beach compared to others. This beach is popular for the sunrise view. It is an absolutely amazing place to enjoy sunrise. To have the most amazing experience you have to reach there around 4.30 am when the surroundings are completely dark and then slowly you can see the changes happening on the skyline. Since it is located in a corner of the island, Private cars or rented bikes are the best option to reach there on time. The tropical forests on one side of the road and the kalapathar that decorate the coastline make the ride view wonderful. I loved the road to reach there. The view was beautiful. To sit and enjoy the beach side view and of course the sunrise, there are many wooden seating spaces available. The beach has no timing for opening or closing. But generally people gather there early in the morning. There are different food stalls and chai coffee stalls are opened very early as on demand. Overall it is not a very popular beach but only famous for the sunrise view which makes this place a must visit one.

If you are fond of casual beaches with lots of people and snacks and some water sports activities this is your place. Though taking a bath especially with the kids is not considered as safe here . But anyway you should visit this place . There are a few snacks options are also there . You would also get to see some old Japanese bunkers and on a lighter note the selfie loving generation of ours can also offer you a live show of how the Britishers must have celebrated after capturing those bunkers ( a little bit of imagination needed ). People must understand the significance of these historical bunkers.

Went for the sunrise. You need to book a cab or auto for the sunrise view as transportation is an issue at Port Blair. But safe to take an auto or cab. The best sunrise view. The stunning hue of the sun peeked at us at 4.56 a.m. It was a spectacular view.

The beach is full of water sports. The water sports include jet ski, speed boat. boating . The water boat ride makes you to travel to a nearby island which is full of dangerous snakes so the government had stopped the tourist to get into the island. But you can get a view near to that island. Here water sports starts from around 2500 to 5000 also. The park gets closed around 6pm in the evening before the sum sets out .

Mini sized but quite beautiful… the display of pure white fine sand just lures the way. As soon as the sand touches with ur feet the experience is next level. The sand is perfectly suitable for beach volleyball and other related sports. Jet ski ride … para sailing and similar water activities are available here. The beach is highly recommended!!

Nice beach, but does not seem to be maintained. It has water activities and one enjoy the waves. The waves are not very strong. The beach is shallow, kids enjoyed swimming in the ocean. There are few shops available for snacks. The beach has bus service, costs around 30 Rs per person. Also one could catch an auto approx Rs 100 for cheaper rides than cabs which charge around Rs 300 for each point. There also one Japanese bunker located at this beach. The government should try to maintain such historic landmarks.

Fantastic scenic beauty. If you just move from one end to other you can see beautiful scenarios which is not available in mainland. Don't take bath here. It seems that sand is very rough here (my experience may vary with others). A huge no of coconut trees, can also take a sun bath.

This beach is very beautiful & we went there in the afternoon. This beach is very congested because many water activities held here. We had parasailing 🪂 there. Staffs are also well behaviour. There are many shops like food, dress, hat ,jewellery. You can spend afternoon by sitting here quietly.

I visited Corbyn's Cove Beach recently and had a mixed experience. The beach itself is well-maintained and clean, creating a pleasant atmosphere. However, the water's lack of clarity and strong tides make it unsuitable for swimming. Despite offering various water activities like jet skiing, I found them to be overpriced and not worth the cost. One of the highlights was the incredible climate, making it an ideal spot for relaxation. I appreciated the fact that it wasn't overly crowded during my visit, allowing us to unwind peacefully. The well-maintained bathrooms were certainly a plus. Overall, Simple Beach is a decent place to spend about half an hour for relaxation, but keep in mind that swimming might not be an option due to the water conditions. Also, it's worth noting that drone flying is restricted at the location.

This beach is the only developed sea beach in the Port Blair city area. Because of the cove-like shape the name is cove beach. This beach can be reached by road from the city. This beach is also open for swimming. Corbyn's cove beach has a long coastline and many Japanese bunkers on its side. There is a watchtower and beach chairs are maintained by the Port Blair municipal council. There are many water sports activities to be done in Corbyn's cove including Jet Ski and speed boat rides. The best thing to do here is Parasailing and SeaKart. You may prefer to eat in the waves restaurant run by the tourism department. There is a 3-star hotel named Peerless resort which serves very nice seafood. Also the sea side food stall's sea foods are good in taste. It's a good evening place to hang out with family and friends, plenty of street food options available both veg and non veg. Corbyn's Cove beach- the coconut-palm fringed beach is ideal for swimming and sun-basking. This is one of the most occupied beaches in Andamans. So it is a must visit place to visit especially in the evening.

One of the nearest beaches to Veer Savarkar Airport. It is not very crowded. One can enjoy sea waves. One can do water activities such as Jet ski rides here. And if you are interested and a good swimmer you can also have fun by diving as this beach is not very deep . For Nature lovers I recommend that they must visit the beach in the morning to see the beautiful sunrise. You'll love it. And don't forget to enjoy the very fresh coconut water.

Local beach right in the city. Good to spend the evening at. Lot of water sport activities available if you want to try. It is crowded compared to the other beaches in Andaman. But I won't complain a lot this has its own happening vibe The water is also decent if you want just wet your feet or have a dip if you don't mind the crowd.

It's a very nice & clean beach in Portblair.There are many rides also like speed boating,water skiing.There are many stalls like hand crafts & foods.From Portblair to this beach there are many autos & private cars.Over all its a very safe place & enjoyable too❤️

It's a commercial beach where they conduct water activities like jet skiing, parasailing, boating etc. So not super clean as such, but it becomes cleaner and prettier during high tide and as you walk deeper from the road. Has a nice breeze and there are shops selling knickknacks and snacks.

Its a fab place for tourism and water sports. A few Japanese bunkers are still present here. A few of them washed onto the shore, but nit broken. Much water sports activities happen here. Any food and souvinier stalls available. Can walk on the beach and many shells. Can chill here too.

It's is a good beach for water sports activities like Parasailing and Jetskeing Boating etc ⛵ but the Beach is. so DIRTY .. YOU can find Plastic wrappers in water and beachside.. The water is so Sandy and not clean.. As compared to the nearby islands Crystal Clear water.. You can't Bathe in this water... it's Good for clicking pictures only 📸

It's a sunrise beach actually but people visit it throughout the day till sunset. The sunset view behind the beach is also beautiful at the beach (pic attached). There are few souvenir stalls (fair price, do check all the stalls for price), snacking options at the beach side and water activities like jet skiing, parasailing, boat ride, etc. If you are visiting other Islands/beaches try water activities there for clearer waters and avoid at Corbyn's Cove. Recommended 👍🏻

This Beach is only place in Port Blair which allows you to take bath at beach side, paid shower and changing room is there which is very nominal and it was clean Too. their racks are rusted so take care of it. Rest you can find their coconut water vendors, Maggi, Water bottles and every shop have stools and chair to sit. Best time to visit place is after 2pm and you can spend here 3-4 hours. Sports activities were also there. Family boat ride, jet ski.

One of the beaches to wet your feet and walk in the sands. A little over rated to my expectations. Exclusively catering for water sports and other activities. Speed boat ⛵🚢 water scooter, parasailing etc. Be cautious of the prices. Worth the try. Neatly maintained.

This place is very beautiful in the evening. Must visit this place if you are in port Blair. A walking Plaza is there and is about 1.8km. This area is very scenic but polluted by city filth. Water sports are too available. Small stall are there for eats and shopping.

Serene and pretty! Loved the calm vibe here. A must visit during your stay at Port Blair. Best time to visit - sunrise and before 12pm to enjoy the pleasant weather! We visited day before yesterday (December) and still it was very hot at 3pm.
