If you love waterfalls Watkins Glen State Park is the place for you. The Gorge trail is about 1.5 miles one way and follows the Glen Creek through tunnels carved into the rock, next to many waterfalls and you actually walk under two waterfalls. While there are over 800 stairs it is an easy trail because you stop so often to take in the views. Having said that the trail is definitely not handicap accessible. Use the main entrance as it gives you the best views. If you choose not to walk back there is a shuttle at the upper parking lot that will take you back to the main parking lot. Entrance to the park is free but there is a $10 parking fee. You can park on the street for two hours for free. I recommend going early in the morning to avoid the crowd which can get in the way of your pictures. Going late afternoon will give you a beautiful rainbow at Rainbow Falls as the water catches the sun.

Visited here last year with family and plan to go here many more times. You start from the top or the bottom of the loop either way is a wonderful experience. All the waterfalls and scenic views were just thrilling and picture worthy. Very well maintained park and area. It is a must item to have on any buckle list for outdoor excursions.

Stunning place to visit. Lots of trail options and most being dog friendly. Expect stairs and a fair few muddy areas so dress sensibly especially with some waterfalls spilling over and getting you wet. Some signage issues and things not so clear but overall great place to visit. Quite busy and seems to be a big tourist spot for some bus tours so expect busy and tightly packed paths

This place is spectacular. 100% reco a stop. There are a lot of stairs and it is muddy in places so wear proper shoes and consider bringing a hiking stick. The waterfalls are just amazing. There is parking just outside the park, but you can also find parking in town for free if it’s not a busy day. Dogs are only allowed on the higher trails, so suggest leaving them at home if you want to see the best parts of the gorge!

It is an amazing place to visit. More than 1.5 miles of scenic gorge, waterfalls, and beautiful nature. And many miles more trails in the woods. Make sure you are wearing good hiking shoes. The walkways are wet, sometimes muddy, and can be slippery. The park offers some truly breathtaking views. Thousands of stunning photo opportunities. All the amenities you could need are here. Several gift shops, rest rooms, sitting areas, food, parking, playground, grills and picnic areas, etc. Admission to the park itself is free. However, it will cost you 10 dollars to park your car for the day. This is a park you will remember for life. I highly recommend you check it out.

Hiked the northern room two weeks ago as the Gorge trail was closed. Although the main attraction was closed, the northern Trail provided a lot of good sites of everything below and plenty of rest points. The stairs getting up to the north room to start or not for the lighthearted, take them slow because there’s so many of them. You can take the northern room all the way to the end but you have to come back the same trail. We crossed over the suspension bridge to the southern room to end the hike back to the main parking area. Breathtaking views would love to come back here again.

I visited 3/29/22. The parking and entry were both free due to it being the off season. It’s in a busier area so not ideal for those seeking a more undisturbed nature type setting. The main gorge trail as well as the welcome center and bathrooms were closed for the season. They had porta-potties outside. The trials I went on that were open were pet friendly. There was some ice but nothing crazy, it was the worst on the suspension bridge as I recall. Some of the trails leading out of the park towards the south entrance indicated that they went in directions they didn’t aka the temporary signage they put up could’ve been better. I saw two other small groups of people there while I was. Overall it was a pretty sight to see and I would revisit again in the summer/fall if given the opportunity.

Amazing Views and trails. The mountains with beautiful creative shapes into amazing waterfalls. We did park our car at the bottom and took shuttle all the way up, shuttle charges 6 dollar per person. We started Indian trail from top going down with lot of look outs with good views. We were 4 adults and 3 kids so with kids it's easy to take Indian trail. They also have gorge trail which has amazing view but lot if stairs but would be totally worth it. Definitely worth visiting

Watkins Glen State Park was well worth the almost 2 hour trek from Syracuse! This was our first hike in New York and it was so worth it! $10 admission at the gate... No problem it is worth all of it! The Park and water falls were breathtaking! There are a lot of stairs but the views make up for it. I have never been to a place that has a different great view around every turn. The pictures don't do it justice. This is a must see location for any trip close to the area or even 2 hours away!

Definitely the Grand Canyon of EC !! Beautiful picturesque location, great scenery . I would recommend entering via South Entrance that way you can save on a few steps and still cover the entire park in the 3 mile loop. Wear rainproof clothing and good hiking boots as the rocks and the pathway can get slippery. Lots of crowds on weekends, if possible for good photos visit on weekdays..

Beautiful place in the winter leaving me wanting to come back! Unfortunately (although for good reason), the gorge trail is closed in the winter time. However, the rim trails are still open, providing for some spectacular views in a way that feels different than what you would see in the summer. It truly is a magical place with the snow and ice.

Beautiful and awe inspiring views and waterfalls!! Incredible to see the formation of this spectacular gorge!! An absolute MUST see!! Just make sure to wear comfortable shoes and clothing as well as bring water! This is an incredible walk with many... 822 steps to be exact to conquer! You can however start at the upper parking lot. And when you get to the bottom. You can take the shuttle back to your car. I suggest that for anybody with little ones or if you haven't done much cardio or steps. Very intense but definitely worth it!!

Awesome state park in Western New York. The must see is the 1.5 mile Gorge trail featuring great scenery with multiple waterfalls, stone bridges and the Gorge/river itself. You can combine this for a 3 mile walk with the indian trail and make it a loop. Neither trails are particularly difficult, other than a steep staircase at the end of the Gorge trail. No dogs allowed on the Gorge trail. There is a small visitor center, but it didn't look like there was any seating inside. Parking is $10 but I got there early enough to utilize the free 2 hour street parking.

Very nice park to visit. Proper footwear and clothing recommended for safety. Areas are often wet and could very slippery. Bring water as there is no place to buy one after you start your walk and unfilled you finish on the other end. Many waterfalls, colorful flowers (visited end of August).

Beautiful. The Gorge trail was closed for the season so check the website before you come. You an still take other trails. No dogs on the gorge trail but ok in the park and other trails.

One of the best state park with small river ripping thru stones and presenting natural curves and shapes. Definitely worth visiting.

It has 3 trails. Gorge trail is the lowest and nearest to all falls. I recommend use this trail if it is open for better view and magnificent scenery.

Very easy hike with beautiful scenery. Definitely recommend coming peak foliage and if you want to avoid crowds, try getting there before 10am. The hike itself is only took an hour and a half to go there and back; 2 hours if you're taking your time and stopping to take pictures. Parking is $10 for the day.

We have been for several times, and this place, definitely, the best place ever! It took us about 2 hours, you need to have snacks, comfortable clothes and sneakers! Go ahead 😀

Just Wow. A must visit place. Wonderful exhibits. They’ve different galleries, a wing alone for the historic exhibits, which were a lot (we weren’t able to see everything). And artistic exhibits are also Amazing. They’ve hot shops showing the glass demonstrations almost every 30 min, throughout the day. Definitely attend one. Don’t miss the innovation floor, it was quite interesting. There’s a beautiful gift shop with so many things and a good cafe, with vegetarian options. And Yes, make your own glass is nothing we can actually make, but only choose what shape and colours you want, and you can have really closer look, which was still nice to experience. It would be good if it’s specified clearly on the website what to expect. Also would love more interactive exhibits. Definitely a great visit.

Corning Museum of Glass is one of my favourite museums to visit, it is part art gallery. The glass collection is just stunning to see the creativity in this difficult medium. They have many different types of informational sessions throughout the day and are very educational for people of all ages. Children 17 and under are free of charge which is great value for families on a budget. Highly recommend visiting especially with children, it's a great learning experience.

Very cool and interesting displays. Nice gift shop. Cafe food was priced as expected, maybe slightly cheaper. The food had good flavor but was not even relatively warm. I will definitely visit again to see new displays. The sandblasting was really fun and the glass sculpture making was very interesting. Highly recommend, but first watch Blown Away seasons 1-4, makes it that much more interesting.

Very beautiful place to visit and also get lots of knowledge about glass making history and optical fiber. Don't forget to watch both of their glass blowing demonstrations. If you want to make your own glass, book it at least 3 months before your visit.

I love visiting this place. The modern art installations are my favorite part of the museum, but the whole thing is really well done with amazing architecture and always something to learn. This time we were able to visit a demonstration in the hot shop, which was really fun. And we also were able to take advantage of making some of our own glass after making a reservation. That was super fun. Looking forward to our next visit!

This museum was such an amazing stop on our way to Niagara Falls. Everyone enjoyed from toddler to adult. The sandblasting class (additional fee) was a lot of fun and the glasses came out beautiful. Our three year old even designed her own. I'd highly recommend. The cafeteria offered a wide variety of foods and was clean and fast. We look forward to visiting again.

Very engaging museum which can keep adults and children busy for several hours. You can explore the glass art gallery, discover the amazing science behind everyday glass objects, with many hands on displays that keep kids looking for more. Additionally there are free to watch live presentations (glass making and the exciting glass Breaking). For additional cost you can participate in a glass making session (good idea to pre register to save a spot). While this was interesting, we were a little disappointed since participation in the actual glass making is minimal. Also note that you either need to come in the next day to pick up your work or pay an additional shipping fee. Lastly there is a great cafeteria with a wide selection of foods that are very reasonably priced (not typical for museums). Free parking is available with an EV charging station. If you are up in the Finger lakes area this is definitely a great place to visit. When you're done, you can chill out in one of the many wineries or breweries in the area.

There are many lovely artworks to see that would educate your thoughts and consciousness. The museum arrangement is the only reason I gave it four stars. The galleries are not well-organized to display all of the artworks. You might miss a few of them because they are in a blind spot. In addition, the signs directing you to the galleries were unclear. While looking for gallery #6, we ended up in gallery #7. And walking the #7 led us to the #6 at the end. Aside from that, there is a live show in gallery #3 at certain times which a glass making process is demonstrated to visitors. Check the time slots and arrive on time to watch the show. It is included in the price of the ticket. On the ground floor, there is a museum shop where you may purchase the most stunning glass pieces. Based on the prices I've observed, the price range is about between $10 and $10,000. Overall, it's a must-see museum in Corning!

Great experience for all ages! Very interactive and engaging throughout! Went on a Memorial Day weekend a few years ago with wife and three kids. All of us had a good time and my wife was able to make her own glass ornament. We never realized how important Corning was to developing Pyrex and other glass products ranging from lighthouse glass to telescope development.

Really fantastic museum and HUGE!! It's quite an encyclopedic collection of a fascinating material. Everything from art to industry to science and more. We spent about two hours here and still didn't see it all. We did manage to catch one of the glass blowing demos though which was super cool to see. The gift shop was just as impressive as the museum itself, large and varied. Anyway, it's def worth a visit if you're nearby.

We had no much clue what to expect in a glass museum when we started our day here. But this place is mindblowing, and we ended up spending 5 hours going through everything here. We had such an amazing experience watching all the beautiful exhibits and learning many new things about glass. Entry is $30 for adults and free for kids of any age. We had basic sandblasting added as well, which was $14. The place is worth every dollar we spend. Live demos - we saw glass making and glass breaking demo as well. It was great to see how the glass is turned into different forms just by blowing and rolling. The glass breaking was very informative. We also did the sandblasting, which was a fun activity. Must watch place upstate newyork. Nature lovers can take a break and spend a half day here enjoying cool things made of glass and learning some new things.

Beautiful place to spend time with family to see some amazing glass work. They have superb crockery and gifts . Corelli Crockery was worth to buy . They have amazing pieces of glass and crystal from different artists. The place have baby care restroom which I have not seen at many places , since I have infant with me so It was a bless. They have shows where they give live demo of making of glass pieces.

This is an amazing museum with so many cool displays. There is something for everyone & the gift shop is the largest I've ever seen. It is worth the price of admission & they also participate in the Museums for All program if you receive food assistance with am EBT card. The parking lot is close but they do have shuttle busses if you park farther away.

I love this place! I've been going here since I was a kid, and I'm impressed every time. Gorgeous art with a lot of heart. I also really love making my own glass sculptures and necklaces when I go here. A little on the pricey side, but you definitely get your money's worth. I highly recommend getting the package deal with the Rockwell Museum to further enhance the experience.

The CMOG has a world-class collection of glass artifacts from the earliest beginnings of glass making, to modern art. If you are looking to experience "all things glass" this is a great place to visit. If you are looking to take an in-depth study of a certain subject, you will probably be disappointed. The entirety of the "Early American" bottles and glass items that are on display is shameful. The quality of the display shelves would be rivaled by Value City Furniture. In many instances there are killer (sometimes unique) bottles on a dark, crowded shelf where they can hardly be seen. An American museum that displays early American Glass so poorly is just a shame. The items that they probably have packed away in boxes that are not on display, is mind-boggling. But they will probably never see the light of day. The gift shop is phenomenal.

Sensory friendly! The museum offers a sensory backpack. My daughter wore the headphones the whole time and the sunglasses in bright exhibits. The fidget helped her wait her turn. The museum staff was awesome as well. Everyone was friendly and willing to explain things for her. We tried the make your own glass. I appreciate that it wasn’t crowded and activities were separated. My eight year old blew glass while my six year old fused a nightlight. On a six hour road trip with lots of meltdowns, the Corning Museum was the only stop that went smoothly. Happy mom. Thank You! P.s. We were worried about doing a hot glass project because they need to cool overnight. They said they could hold projects for up to 30 days. So we made it on our way up and pick it up on our way home. We recommend buying the make your own tickets in advance because they can sell out.

During our couple of days staying in the nearby town of Watkins Glen, we had the opportunity to visit the Corning Museum of Glass. I found myself wishing for more time to thoroughly explore the exhibits; 45 minutes simply wasn’t enough. Thankfully, the museum offered us a complimentary return entry valid for the next four weeks. Our visit began in the auditorium, where we were treated to a 20-minute live demonstration of glassmaking. The demonstration included a video detailing each step of the process, with a focus on the heating furnace used to melt the glass. The museum itself is segmented into various sections, including a prehistoric area, each richly filled with diverse displays. There was an impressive amount of security to ensure children didn’t touch any delicate pieces. The descriptions provided beneath each display were informative and added depth to our visit. The gift shop was remarkably large, the biggest I’ve seen in any museum. Although there was a café on site, it was unfortunately closed during our visit. Overall, visiting the Corning Museum of Glass is highly recommended for anyone in the area. It’s an enriching experience that shouldn’t be missed.

My daughter, mother and I visited on April 2nd and 3rd. We had an amazing experience both days. April 2nd we made glass flowers that came out beautiful thanks to Mona and her thorough help. She was the best. On the 3rd my daughter was chosen for her drawing from the daily, You Design it; we make it. Watching her drawing transform into the glass piece was just incredible. One of the most amazing museums I've experienced in a very long time. So impressive. We cannot wait to go back!

What an awesome time to visit during the week when it’s not busy. It was a little busy on weekday and I can’t imagine on weekends. The town is amazing too and one of the locals actually told us to come here. I would say get the membership as it about cheaper if you buy something at the end of the It’s works like a loop and easy to visit everything here. I learned a lot and get to see amazing glasswork piece. This place is amazing huge and just stunning.

We made ornaments and it was so much fun! The museum was a ton of fun! Both the modern side and the other side! Learning how glass is made, and has been made throughout history was just amazing! If you are ever in the area I suggest you stop by and do it!! You will love it because it is awesome!!

Really great museum. I wasn't expecting all the older glass pieces or the more modern designs. It was a real treat and am glad that I stopped by. I highly recommend visiting.

Great spot for kids and adults. Had a 3yr old and 8yr old. They loved it. Games stuff, play stuff, stories and reading. We enjoyed it as well. Butterfly observatory seems a little out of place but was a small extra and worth it. High ropes was likely the highlight for our 8yr. I did it as well and very impressed... Didn't have the nerve for all the high route options.

The Strong Museum of Play is such a unique place to spend the day. My husband and I visited and spent about three hours circulating all of the really cool exhibits. There were so many interactive things to do. We especially loved the video game section and seeing the history of video games. There are lots of things for kids to do and it's a great place for the whole family. The adults can reminisce on their childhood. We enjoyed seeing so many familiar toys in the hall of fame. We skipped the butterfly exhibit because I had been there previously. For all of the things to do, the price is reasonable. I would highly recommend visiting!

I probably don't have more to add then what has already been said, but if you're still wondering whether or not to visit the Strong National Museum of Play, just know you can stop now. This museum is truly a one of a kind travel experience, perfect for all ages. Just be prepared to stay all day if you can!

As this was my first time to Rochester..."The Strong National Museum of Play" was on my List of "MUST-SEE" Places. I'm Satisfied that I went and took many photos. There were childhood memories literally around every corner. It is DEFINITELY a place for "Children to be Children" and to Play, Explore, Learn and Just Release All Their Childhood Energy. Being by myself wasn't the best decision. This place is best to visit with Your Children, Grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews, Class Field Trip... (Just not really by yourself) Hundreds of Various Types of Toys Dating from just a few Years ago...back, to the Early 1900's. Life size Board Games, Modern and Retro Video Games and Consoles, Game Rooms, Arcades, Pinball, Dolls, Barbie, Avengers, Clowns, Marvel and Thousands more! A walk into the World of Sesame Street and a Full Rotating Indoor Carousel. The Colorful and Beautiful Architectural Design of this Building is Mesmerizing! HERE....Children RULE!

We've been members in the past and rejoined now that my son is a little older as the museum has the best selection of arcade and pinball games in town. Great to bring him and a friend to play some games, learn a few things, and see the butterfly room, which is a highly recommended experience. The ropes course adds a whole new dimension and completes the incredible value. My only complaint is they need to fill the food court with more options. The vacancy is glaring.

This place is amazing. For most of us with kids it’s basically the largest indoor playground you will ever go to. There’s so much in here for the kids to play with and it’s not that busy. Despite all the kids in here it is still kept tidy and the activity areas are reasonably organized. They have a free coat check area which is very convenient. The gift shop is rather small and most contains your classic board games and some legos. Food court is pretty reasonable. The butterfly conservatory isn’t worth visiting but the rope climb is amazing. Just make sure your kids are brave enough to do it. The rest of the place is actually a museum of play. The toy displays they have on the second floor really brings out the nostalgia. The cost to play the arcade games is pretty reasonable too. I didn’t think this would be somewhere I would go visit again but I definitely want to come back someday.

The strong museum was amazing especially for all ages. From modern to city vintage toys games. Pinball, mini shopping store for the kids, toy hall of fame. I could go on forever. Not only will the kids love it, I bet you will too!

This is probably the only reason you visit Rochester. The museum is getting bigger and better compared to last time we visit. I think best age to come is 6 to 13 but parents enjoy the visit too. Make sure you buy ticket online to save 2 dollar and there is a 5 dollar parking cost.

Amazing experience. I had as much fun as my grand daughter! Staff were helpful and very pleasant. There are so many activities. I highly suggest going as early as possible. I was impressed with the technology. I loved the scanner that actually transferred the fish we colored onto the water scene that was projected onto the wall and “animated” them. Yes, our fish were actually swimming!

The Strong National Museum of Play is a fantastic place for children of all ages. We enjoyed looking at the displays of toys through the ages, especially, those from our childhood. There are so many different areas for interactive play. The butterfly garden is a beautiful space for those who enjoy plants and watching butterflies. The museum also has different food options on site, a nice gift shop, and the cleanest restrooms.

This museum is for children, adults and older adults. There is something for everyone. Driving from Toronto, it was just over 3 hours (an easy drive). Be prepared to stay all day. There are lot of hands-on activities and it is great seeing all of the toys we grew up with and recent ones as well.

This museum is excellent! 5 stars in the activities department. Plenty of things to keep the kids busy and plenty of exhibits to keep the childhood memories flowing all day long. I had to take away a star for the prices of everything there, I do understand it's a business and ya gotta make money to keep the lights on. But cmon man. Family of 4 or more better bring some extra sheckles! 😅

While vacationing in Rochester, but wanted to find something more fun for the kids to do, and this fit the bill. Even us adults had a blast here, most of the museum is free. However, if you would like to play video games, you have to purchase tokens, we weren’t too happy about that considering we paid admission…… They also have a few other options that are stated at the entrance that they are extra which was fine. We got to the museum at 10 o’clock when they opened and we didn’t leave until well after 2 o’clock, this place is absolutely huge and I’m sure if we weren’t super hungry by that point, we would’ve spent a few more hours there my wife, and I really enjoyed the nostalgia of our own childhood, they have a lot of older toys From not just our childhood, but our parents and their parents and their parents, it was definitely sight to see. Our older children are teenagers, so they didn’t enjoy this as much as our seven-year-old did, so keep that in mind, if you plan on visiting with children older than than the age of I’m going to say 10. Many of the exhibits are geared towards children five and under which was a little disappointing. Overall, we had a lovely time and would definitely return. Should we be given the opportunity.

One of the best museums you can ever visit. Definitely a must go if you’re in Rochester. Lots to see and do. Suitable for all ages. Be prepared to spend the entire day here or at least 4 hours. Staffs are very adult and children friendly. Many fun activities that you can do here as well as learning about the history of games and toys of all kinds. Ticket is fairly priced and they have seasonal member pass for the year.

Fabulous place for a day full of fun. My son is 13 and we visited for his 9 year old cousin's birthday party. We didn't think he'd have much to do, but he spent hours here. Something for everyone. Rochester is truly fortunate to have such a place locally. Family friendly. Restaurants on site.

WHAT AN EXPERIENCE! Could have easily spent days playing, reading, interacting, exploring. Amazing exhibits, beautiful curation, so much fun! First time visiting from out of state and apparently The Strong had just reopened with new exhibits in advance of July 4th. Parking garage was $5 for the day, and there's metered parking on the street. Nice variety of dining options in the food court that appeased all our picky eaters. Exhibits for boys and girls of pretty much all ages, adults included. Only critique, wished the gift shop had more (relatively limited t-shirt and toy options). Still, we spent hours there and wanted to spend hours more. Can't wait for an opportunity to go back.

Give yourself more than two hours to explore, especially if you have a kid with you. I know we missed a few exhibits near closing time because we spent so much time in other spots. I'd also like to add that when my four year old took off into another spot while our backs were turned, staff was super helpful in locating him quickly and without panicking. Literally, it was less than two minutes and they had helped us find him, and were super nice about it. We are already making plans to visit again next summer! My only complaint seems to be a temporary one. Due to construction along the outside of the building, the entrance was not clear to us so we had to walk the whole way around the building and then through the parking garage. We also hadn't been able to figure out how to drive into the parking garage so we parked on the street. Hopefully this will be resolved once they finish their updates.

Incredible museum of play for kids of all ages. We got the family year pass which has already paid for itself. We love coming here just as much as the kids. So much to see and do that it never gets boring. You definitely need at least two or three four hour visits to work through the entire museum and that’s at a clip. The new galleries and outdoor areas are amazing. We love in particular the new video game and avatar halls, where you could easily spent a day itself exploring.

I've never been here before and it was pretty cool. My 3 year old absolutely loved it, I had to drag her out of there when it was time to go since we live an hour and a half away. It was pretty cool to see some of the museum exhibits but I was disappointed to find out that my girlfriend and I were charged just the same to watch my daughter run around. $75 for a few hours of my daughter playing was a bit steep I feel. Adults should be charged less I think but that's just my opinion. All in all it was a fun experience and I'm certain my daughter will make me bring her again.

We went on a busy day during the holidays so it was a bit crazy but even so it was so much fun! My 4 year old grandson loved the Sesame Street set, the carousel, the train, and the space imagination play area . I wish we could have made it to the butterfly area. There's just so much to see. Looking forward to going back.

Nice place to spend a 'WHOLE DAY'. We didn't know that but it ended up being a long nice trip. We didn't end up visiting all the places inside, but a good one for the kids with some hands on learning for the little ones! Grocery Shopping, Butterfly zoo, rock climbing simulation and a slew of others things to do! Definitely a must do if you have young kids and please plan for a full day! :)

This is a MUST for anyone with kids of any age. There's so much to do! I recommend a full day to get the full experience of everything they have there. The food court prices weren't any more expensive than going anywhere else. It's a bummer that any games or other activities cost more money after already spending money to get in but it's still a reasonable cost for a great mini vacation.

We travel 2 hours here to have a fun day here, and it's completely worth it for the ticket price. My kiddos have so much fun; from my oldest wanting to play every video game imaginable to my youngest checking out Sesame Street, there's something for everyone. You'll find yourself playing games with the kiddos (which is my favorite part). They have extra activities you can pay for, like the ropes course, the butterfly garden, the carousel, and the rideable train, which are all very affordable. They have multiple food options, and the parking garage is attached to the museum, so it's easy access.

There is always cool new things to see/do at Strong. But the maintenance on things could be better. There’s always broken machines, or areas “temporarily closed.” I went with my family today, and my aunt’s main reason for wanting to go was that she wanted to see the new outdoor part that’s out front. The door to it said the entire thing was “closed temporarily”, and it didn’t say why. It’s brand new and apparently cost a fortune, what could be so wrong with it already? The weather was totally fine, so it wasn’t weather related. The train ride was also broken down… The prices at the gift shop are ridiculous too. Museum gift shops are usually pricey, but not like this. I always buy a magnet for a souvenir when I go to museums, or anywhere really. But here their most simple, little magnet is $13! Not worth it.

This place is an incredible experience for kids and adults, alike. Go in preparing to play WITH the kids. Don’t just watch them do it. It will increase the experience for you ten fold. Puzzles, science labs, video games you can play, toys on display and toys you can touch, history, factoids, interactive displays, miniature Wegmann’s Supermarket, Sesame Street, climbing apparatus, butterfly gardens, and even a diner inside the museum! You really can’t go wrong.

The Strong Museum of Play is a wonderful menagerie of interactive exhibits and beautiful educational exhibits and activities. Many activities and exhibits revolve around businesses and places in the surrounding community, so children can interact in those locations the way kids do..such as a kids Wegmans grocery store where kids can experience every role of people in a grocery store. The carousel and train rides are really fun. There are many options for eating snacks or food. Bring extra money if you want to experience the Butterfly Garden. A membership is the most economical way to enjoy repeated trips to the Strong Museum. This is a wonderland that children.and families need to experience.

The Museum of Play is housed in a playfully designed, colorful building. It seems to be targeted towards 4-6 year olds with its many interactive exhibits. There are also displays that will interest adults and older children focusing on tabletop and digital games. I would have had a blast if I had a child with me but the experience was great even without one.

What an amazing museum! There is something for every age there. I loved the toy history...it brought back many memories. There is a carousel, train, arcade area, superheroes, hands on play areas, zip line, butterfly garden and food court. Very kid friendly and a place to spend the whole day!

Great place to take the kids. We could honestly be there from opening to close with no dull moments. The climbing and zipline area are terrific. Many different areas to climb, hide, explore and play. Craft section, theater, arcade games, outside area and of course the butterflies.

We visited the museum on a weekday, and the number of people there was very manageable as a result. Although some areas did get busy and chaotic, I'm sure it's much worse on weekends, summer holidays, and the like. There was a ton to see and do for all ages, with a lot of interactive exhibits and informative displays. We've been to other children's museums in other cities, and this is probably the biggest. We spent the full day there with kids ranging from 2 to 11 years old, and if there was more time, I'm sure they could've stayed longer. Rides like the train and carousel are extra (but only $1 per person), as are the butterfly exhibit and the rope course. For the most part, the different areas were organized and kept in order, despite showing some signs of age and wear and tear. They also have plenty of seating for people to take a rest, as well as a restaurant, cafe, and food court on site. Re-entry within the same day is possible I'd you get a stamp, and paid lockers ($5 for a jumbo one and $4 for a large one) are available roo. Parking was housed in the multilevel parking structure outside and costs $5 for non-member museum guests. Overall, definitely worth a stop if you're in Rochester with kids or if you're a fan of toys, books/comics, and games (board games, video games, pinball machines, etc.).

A must for anyone who is into arcade games, but there is much more to this museum. Fair disclosure is that the experience is directed at children. My visit was on a weekday, so free street parking was possible. Other discosure: This is more than 1 day to see it all. The membership may be better for most who wish to get the whole experience.

Worth the drive from Toronto! We visited Strong Museum for two days during Canadian March Break. I was skeptical at first but a few friends from Toronto had spoken highly of the museum so decided to make the 3-3.5hr drive down to visit. My two kids ages 6 and 7 had a blast. Especially on the first day when it was less busy and every nook and cranny was exciting to explore. Overall I was impressed by the museum and the sheer scope of what's in there, the attention to detail and the never ending things for kids to do. This is like a major city science center, arcade, indoor playground and toy museum in one! The admission price is more than fair. Highlights: - Wegmans Mini Supermarket (with operating scanner and printout receipts) - Adventure Land with a pirate ship, giant puppet, and a detective room with secret doors - Vintage Arcade (Ninja Turtles, X-Men, Mario Kart, Donkey Kong, and many more) - Outdoor play area with giant Jenga blocks, Monopoly dog and Scrabble pieces - Level Up interactive exhibit where you collect points at different gaming stations. Well done! - Vintage toys and games were very nostalgic and a nice memory to share with the kids Other comments: - Food court was well run, decently priced and very clean and modern - The second day we went (Fri) was noticeably more busy and was too packed for our liking. Would definitely recommend going early/mid week if possible - there are mini libraries throughout the museum which is a really nice touch - the butterfly garden was nice but not sure if I would re-do that. It's small and not great if your kid has a short attention span - we stayed across the street at the Hampton Inn. Very convenient since we didn't need to drive/park again and we could easily go back to the hotel midday if needed - we debated getting an annual pass but just got a two day pass instead. This might be fun to do once a year (coming from Toronto).

A must visit spot in Rochester. Perfect for both kids and adults. Historical exhibits on toy and game history plus many interactive play areas. Pinball gallery and many arcade games throughout the museum. Machines require tokens to play. Some video games exhibits with free to play games. One could easily spend many hours exploring.

This place is amazing! There is so much for kids to do and experience. We went on a Friday evening, they have half price tickets on Fridays from 4-8pm. You can’t beat paying $11.50 a ticket for that entire museum! Fantastic place!

Dinner at the buffet. Good variety. Clean. Pleasant staff. Efficiently served. Some food a bit salty for my taste. I don't gamble, but the game floor was spacious, clean and easy to navigate. At Remedy, the bar staff appeared overworked. My rum and coke was good although I would gave preferred a long island ice tea, which the don't make.

We had so much fun here! Came here with a large group of cousins and family. We played slots and had dinner. The place is clean and conveniently set up enough so when busy, it doesn't get congested. The food we ordered at the bar was delicious, in plentiful portions and very inexpensive. We want to go back on a nice day when the horses are running. They have a great track with plenty of seating. Next time I'm in Rochester, we plan to spend a day here.

Went for New years . Band was amazing. Bar tenders were rude! Told me they were to busy to make me a bloody Mary after I was giving $10 tips . Spent $800 in slots didn't win anything. Soda machines were out of ice and filthy.

Won $975 Wednesday, and then &1,600 Friday night, so yea it great, and also don't forget about the food "Delicious" , but don't take my word for it give it a try, but what do you have to loose beside a good time, and winning some money.

Always a good time! Friendly staff, especially the waitresses delivering drinks. Don't forget to tip them,that's how they make their money! I prefer the older games, but they're bringing in A LOT of new games. A fun night out!

Very nice gaming floor, with clean non-smoking areas with plenty of slots. Race betting area upstairs is a little dated and in need of a remodel, with newer TVs and lighting. Has a warehouse feel currently. Haven’t yet tried the food as the hours they are open are very strange.

Been to all the casinos of course... This one seems to be the best as far as actually winning. Money goes further here. Definitely won more here than the other 2 nearby ones. Really good food too! And drinks are decently priced for a casino

Clean, plenty of machines. Few if any are out of order. Valet parking is nice, often a little slow, but it's available. The buffet food is often luke warm, but it tastes fine. Love the pasta station. You choose your pasta, sauce, and toppings, & the portion is good.

Last time I came here was pretty covid and I liked coming here. Alot has changed since the pandemic. Doesn't seem like there's alot of winners on labor day. They were just doing rafles on free 20 dollar play for labor day. I don't think I'll be back here anytime soon.

Very nice atmosphere. Went to here a band play, they were pretty good but not super crowded. Plan on going back very soon to hear a big local band play. I expect that to be awesome. It's also fun walking around to watch people playing the slot machines.

For me, there was an interesting amount of games, but not nearly the amount of variety I had expected. Nonetheless, the experience was fun, staff was very helpful and friendly. A nice smaller casino experience.

Slot machines take your money fast. Me and friend have played here for many years when they first started slots. Never have won anything significant. The member card comps are laughable. We have stopped playing here and go to Indian owned casinos with free rooms, decent food vouchers and reasonable free slot play. It doesn't pay to be so greedy fingerlakes.

Yawner of a casino. No table games, no regular slots, just video lottery terminals. No hotel, nearest one is almost a mile away. No entertainment, no fast casual food, only one bar open with one bartender. A marked lack of cocktail waitstaff on the floor. The rare staff that you could interact with were friendly enough. Their player's club was pretty great. Super nice and efficient. Promotions weren't bad either, I received like $30 in free play with the $110 I lost. Bottomline: If it's on your way and you have some time to kill, it's not bad, but it's definitely not worth a special trip.

A large selection of machines to take your money but in a relaxed, friendly environment. The buffet and staff are excellent and outstanding. Food delicious!

The buffet was awful. The chicken was dry, and the meat station only offered one choice, prime rib The salad bar had few choices, and it wasn't maintained. Salad greens and dressings were empty. Others in my group thought it was good. I don't think they had any place to compare it to.

I would only go for daytime activities. It's too dangerous after dark. I hope security is there. I didn't see it in the parking area. The Casino is quiet so having fun is not noticeable. Maybe some music can help. I will try this again because it has to be a fun place. 💰🎉

The buffet has come a long way. Prune rib. Shrimp and taco bar. Finger lakes cares about the customers cuz it shows in how they do business on the floor. Bathrooms clean and smell like flowers, buffet has variety of items,the floor has employees to assist with beverages and clean machines. I would love to see more live entertainment.

Really nice place ti spend a cold day! Plus i won what i lost! Came home $50 ahead,lol. Clean and all employees very efficient and friendly. Wish they were racing love the track there! But it is to cold. Buffet not open on Thursday. So we didn't eat. We had a grwst day!

The Southwest Chicken Salad was great. Remedy was a nice place to Watch the UofM Football Game Against Maryland! The bartender was excellent. Very engaging and freadly to everyone.

We have visited Finger lakes a number of times and enjoyed it immensely. We normally visit the dinner buffet however, today we took a friend to the early Sunday Buffet for his birthday. There was no one in the line when we arrived. We walked up to the counter, and a lady asked for our gaming cards to check for any money on the cards for discounts. As we were checking in a gentleman and a lady came in, and we were asked to allow them to be checked in 1st as they were "diamond" members. Although, we were already at the counter and had already began checking in for the Buffet, we noticed that the lady had a walker and sat down as the man paid for their meals. No problem, was a pleasure to let them go ahead as it seemed the right thing to do. After the man left the counter, the lady behind the counter resumed checking us in, which took a few minutes for our party of 4. Other guests began coming in, and there was now a line behind us. Then another couple arrived, walked past the others in line, and again, the lady stopped checking us in and said that it was yet another "diamond" customer and we were asked to stop our transactions at the counter to allow them to go ahead of us. Now, that makes 2 times as we were checking in. We were told that "diamond " members have priority being diamond members. The problem we have with that is when we arrived, no one was there. We had already began the process of checking in (at the counter) when we were stopped and asked to move back and wait while the 1st "diamond" couple arrived but then after resuming our check-in and another "diamond" couple arrives, we're told again to step back. That was totally unfair to us or anyone else that experienced that sort of treatment. If we had not already been at the counter and were just next in line, perhaps it could have been understood. When we 1st arrived and walked up to the counter, there was still nobody else in line. We can understand that "diamond " members have some sort of priority however, there had been absolutely no one in line at all when we arrived and we were handling our business for 4 at the counter and were asked "twice" to stop and wait for 2 other couples who arrived minutes later, to jump ahead of us at the "counter". Was NOT a good experience, was embarrassing and unacceptable. Waiting on a call back from a Manager. I will add that the only pleasant part of this story is good staff in the dining area and especially a waitress named, "LU LU" that waited on us at the Buffet, who was absolutely AMAZING! She was extremely hospitable, friendly and made us feel very comfortable. We really loved talking with her, and she has a beautiful smile. She deserves a score of 10!! T :)

BEST PLACE TO SPEND TIME WITH FAMILY. We have been to many resorts up in this area and found this one the BEST. Staff is very friendly and helpful . The property is near and clean - follow good sanitation practices. The place is not crowded like other places - Stay and have fun doing many activities available on the property. RECOMMENDED 100%

This was my our first time visiting this resorts and let just say that we were totally blown away!! The rooms where vary spacious and they had everything that we needed for our 4 day excursion. The only thing I think that needs to be updated are the beds. The upstairs suite where we where staying had a queen size bed, and we found it rather to fall a sleep. If all of there rooms had king size beds that would be perfect. Despite the small bed we really enjoyed our stay and we plan on going back some time soon.

Nice place to get away. Hotel rooms are like going back to year 2001. 32 inch TV, DVD player. Elevator display surely will put you back in some prehistoric times. Overpriced for what you get. Driveway around the parking is a dirt road with large and numerous potholes, which is such a turn off. Forget about your white shoes.

All the elements for a 5-star experience were in place but execution came up short all around. We booked a room with a balcony in advance and were informed shortly before arrival that all balconies were off limits because they had been deemed unsafe. I do not believe we were provided any price reduction or credit for this change in room condition. We arrived at the lodge to find our room had been locked from the inside and needed maintenance to break in for us. When we were finally let in, we found that--despite it being unsafe--previous guests had been on the balcony because there was vomit and a towel out there (pic attached). It took considerable time for that to get cleaned because the door handle to the balcony was broken and the bolt lock required a special key that only certain maintenance staff had. So that was gross. The water park was fun for the younger kids but a bit boring for the teenagers. The shuttle to the mountain was mostly convenient but randomly went on "lunch break" without coverage and would leave people standing for 30 minutes. The mountain was in decent shape given the recent warm weather but many lifts were old and slow. Kids 6 and under ski for free, which was great. Lift ticket and rental prices were reasonable otherwise as well. The lodge offers complimentary ski and board storage, which is helpful. But we returned one evening and were told that no one was available and to just take our skis up to our room, which we did. The next morning, we were sternly spoken to by several staff on our way back out with our gear (which was one pair of 80cm skis for our young child). I don't think we'll be back and wouldn't recommend it to others until they dial in their level of service to match their prices.

We held our new years eve wedding at the Lookout and Chelsea and her team went above and beyond to make everything we wanted happen. I cannot say enough good things about the staff and venue. The day went incredibly smoothly, and I didn't have to worry about a thing. The venue was gorgeous and comfortably held about 170 people. It was nice and relaxing to be able to get ready with my girls at the venue before all the action in the beautiful bridal suites. The ski slopes in the background made for an amazing backdrop for all of my photos and the venue sparkled at night from all the candles and softly lit chandeliers. The fireworks at midnight gave it that extra special touch and made us feel truly taken care of. You cannot go wrong with using Greek Peak resort or the lookout for your next event or wedding!

We stayed at Greek Peak for Land Rover's 75th anniversary celebration. I have to say, compared to another ski resort we've stayed at, this one was much better. Our room had a queen bed and pull out sofa bed with a fully equip kitchen. It felt clean and we had a nice big balcony with table and chairs. There were only two restaurant options and a little Waffle Shack opened daily. The hotel had a nice heated pool and hot tub. I actually thought it was better than paying for the indoor water park where the water was cold. My kids enjoyed the wave pool but they were too little to do any of the big slides. Water park tickets were worth it for the kids but if I was on an adult only trip, I wouldn't pay for the water park. The hotel pool was the better option in my opinion. The resort had an adventure center with zip lines, mountain coaster, and other climbing activities. We only took advantage of the mountain coaster. There was also an arcade connected to the indoor pool. The kids enjoyed the arcade and it was pretty inexpensive to buy tickets for the games.

Beautiful location and lots of things to do. I am here in a conference and was placed in what was described as a triple room. It was my understanding that each person would have a separate room and bed. This, however, was not the case. The room has 1 bed, a Murphy bed, and a pull out sofa. I understand now why they have a spa downstairs, because after sleeping all of 2 non consecutive hours on a thin loud Murphy bed, my neck is out. Hopefully the ibuprofen kicks in. Honestly, in my opinion, the first thing a resort needs to consider is making sure their patrons have a comfortable sleep. The rest, although good, just isn’t enjoyable if you are tired from lack of sleep. There is nothing like sitting in a conference room for a few hours on little sleep and a stiff neck. The blanket provided for the sofa and Murphy bed was as thin as a sheet and added to my discomfort.

Enjoyed our stay. Beautiful building and grounds. Many outside activities even before ski season. Food and drink were wonderful. Room is pedestrian but large. Great place to go off season. People are especially kind and helpful

My son loved it, he enjoyed the indoor water park, the sledding and he really liked the chicken tenders at the steakhouse. It's a good place to go for a short weekend trip. There is plenty to do for all ages.

What a Gem of a location. Hosted a Real Estate Conference with 35 attendees. Ambiance, service and food were excellent. Location is easily accessible to major highway and the Lodge was beautiful. Nice rooms, with "Lodgey" decor and fireplaces was a really nice touch. Free shuttle transportation to Greek Peak Ski Mountain, with super friendly staff (shout to Shannon). Special thanks to Gina and Kyla for making our event successful.

The parking lot is a disaster, potholes like the moon. The quad lift is nice, but all the other lifts are beat. The new RFID system is great, very convenient. The slopes are generally well groomed. Not crowded at all during the week. If they would upgrade the lifts and fix the parking lot, it would definitely be worth the ticket price.

Room and the service was lovely. We had a loft bedroom, a full kitchen, living area, 2 bathrooms, and fire place. The state parks were so beautiful with the fall foliage! At the adventure center we did the zip line tour which was lots of fun!! We had a couples massage at the spa, which isn't the best we've ever had. The staff almost seemed uncomfortable at times. Also, the Steak House was nothing to brag about. We waited almost an hour for our food due to the fact that there were 2 weddings that day. Not super convenient for anyone else staying there due to the fact that the ceremonies were held right outside of the front lobby.

Great variety of terrain. They make improvements all the time. 3 new trails added this year. Way less lift lines than comparable resorts. Fun water park, mountain coaster, tubing, and zip lines in summertime. Good at both restaurants, nice spa that my wife loves. Outstanding disc golf course around the lake, as well X-country & snow shoe trails. If you don’t like Greek Peak you don’t like ice cream!

Stayed in a suite shared with friends. The setup is really cute. Service was mediocre for how much you are paying for the hotel stay, water park passes, lift passes, and food. Requested room to be cleaned several times. There was no follow-through. Every time I called the front desk, I felt like I was being an inconvenience. The hotel restaurant had good food but was greeted with an attitude for wanting to put in a pick-up order. There were signs everywhere saying to scan the QR code to order food... Every time we did, it stated they were not accepting orders. Why bother saying you can order then? The waterpark area was nice. Very well manned with lifeguards. Loved that! Overall, the kids had fun, and that's all that mattered. Just wish they were a little kinder to the adults paying out the thousands of dollars to be there.

Went Mtn Biking here! Had an absolute blast! Kira was awesome, professional, and she had excellent cosumer service. She was who we bought our day pass from. All the lift operators were very helpful and friendly. I highly recommend this place 👍 👍

I booked a "Mom to Be Massage" they had absolutely NO accommodations for a prenatal massage, the massage therapist had no suggestions on how to make it more comfortable, when she asked if pressure was good I expressed it wasn't and she continues to pinch/barely apply any pressure. I had originally booked a 80 minute after 10 minutes I said I could only do a 50 minute massage- she ended the massage at 43 minutes. It was awful I left more sore than arriving. I was VERY disappointed in the spa services.

First time with family. Great location with great amenities. Rooms are spacious as standalone, we got the cedar suite and it was amazing. Slopes are a shuttle away 2-3 mins drive. They have a great tuning/rental area, slopes are well groomed. Wish it was more packed or snow making despite natural snowfall. Kids had a blast as first time skiers. Prices are absolutely fair.

Right across the ski place. Suites were all clean, good repair, solid wood furnishings and cabin look. Staff was super friendly. Steak restaurant was nice, the hot tub in the indoor Waterpark was awesome for the adults in our party of 26. And the little mini Starbucks in the lobby was a hit too. Would def go back.

Best groomed ski trails in Central New York. friendly staff, friendly lift attendants, short lift lines, many trail options, summer water slides, reasonable restaurant prices and options. Parking area needs paving to make the experience top grade. It can be a muddy mess with deep holes that result in muddy vehicles, shoes and ski boots.

Greek Peak made a tremendous early season effort getting open early. Leak testing dozens of guns and laying it down for a decent opening run - top to bottom. Nice snow texture. Was impressive considering it was opening weekend. No cookies to speak of and could take a pair of dull skis with minimal edging through the snow. Well done. Had not been to Greek Peak in over 32 years and glad I did!

Huge mall with lots of stores. Easy to get lost in. Eatery was nice, but seats were not too comfortable. Tried to eat at TGIF but got turned away due to us having a large group (7)

Great mall with a bit of everything for everyone. From great eats to hobby stores, they got it all. Even got plenty of fun interactive things for kids to do. There are so many restaurants that are dine in and amazing.

I really like this mall! It’s big, clean, and has lots to do for all ages. My grandkids love going there because there are so many things to do that they love! They have a very cool antique carousel and car racing to name a few.

It is a very large Mall. Quite a variety of stores inside which is awesome! Good choices for restaurants as well. And seems to have plenty of parking. Also has fun things for kids to do such as ropes climbing, huge playground slide, WonderWorks, RPM raceway and so much more. Overall a good place to visit.

This is huge but no high end stores (Prada, Gucci, etc). There was an Apple store, Burlington, Dick’s Sporting Good’s etc. There is also a movie theater on the 3rd floor. It seems that they haven’t remodeled walkways but some the stores are very nice. They have a decent food court with Steakhouse and a Grill. There is a merry go round and laxer tag etc. Not much to do in Syracuse so if you like shopping then this is the place to be.

Huge mall, tons to see and do. It's definitely a place to bring your kids and burn energy. Plus, as you enter you can take pictures by the I heart New York sign, I would recommend

We drive 1 hour and 1/2 to visit Destiny USA, our kids love this place specially food games.

This place is huge and has so much to do and so many places to shop. There's food, games in the arcade, and lots of stores. There was what they called an indoor amusement park as well. Can't wait to go back. I gave a four because the bathroom doors didn't lock in the ladies room and the food court seating is extremely small and hard for bigger people to fit in. If you're going to visit this place for more than a quick stop and shop I recommend making it a day trip so you have time to experience everything this place has to offer.

The Mall is not as crowded and exciting as it used to be. It’s always a pleasure shopping over there though. People are awesome!

Use to be a fun place to go as a kid. Now I pass by it most days not giving it a second thought. For its size and amount of stores I feel like I only visit the same small handful. Recently the mall has had multiple instances of violence including firearms and while they have increased the security it takes away from the family friendly atmosphere it use to have.

It was a great stop to break up the trip on our way to the Adirondacks from Buffalo, New York. Perfect for all ages.

A great and huge mall with so many things to do! Make sure you check directory from website so you can better plan your visit there. From merry go around, rides, arcade games (Dave’s buster), indoor playground(Billy beez), rope course, movies, and interactive museum, shopping, and food! Too much to list but you can go there for more than once to enjoy them! Everyone from family can find something fun to their interest:)

Largest mall Ive ever been to and good to see there are still some surviving malls out there. 4+ floors, not bombed out like most malls, busy, a ton of stores and entertainment. Clean, not ghetto, and absolutely worth a visit!

The businesses here are all gouged for rent and trying their best. Like the rest of the heart of America, there’s little focus on maintenance or infrastructure of the building itself and the functionality of the facility suffers greatly. The seats in the food court are latticed metal, splintering apart and hardly clean, for sure a flawed design, and they are from the 1990’s. They are the same kind found in Great Northern and Shoppingtown, which have both shut down and have left their half as used seats if Destiny ever wants to repurpose those (please?). Either way I’m always fearing puncturing a hole in myself, my clothes, staining my clothes or picking up some sort of nested vermin from them. The dust and dirty windows, the broken elevators and half functioning escalators. Here’s a friend I legit made today near the food court.
