Pretty beach with nice views. If you’re not around I am not sure if it’s worth any effort to go there specifically.

Nice beach, water is clear good for snorkelling. No very easy to park around, €15 (all day) on the back close to the mountain.

The view is nice and the water is clean but there is no parking only on the side of the road, and when we came here, in October, the WC and the changing cabins were closed, although there were many people on the beach

Estonishing place, allthough try to come early as there is no place on the beach at noon. The only available parking space is near the mountain and cost 15 euro until 08pm. All in all, a very nice place to hang out for couple of hours.

On our recent trip to Varazze, we tried a new beach every day. For our family of 4, this was one of our favorites due to the family friendly environment with lots to do for the little ones. Plus the actual beach was the nicest (and smoothest) of any of the others we visited. Would definitely recommend.

We tried to find free beach places with the kids. This place was full unfortunately, which is not a problem basically. The problem was the attitude of the old lady in the cash desk: she was not even looking up from her mobile phone, was a kind of phlegmatic. As a new customer, I would at least expect some help or guidance. I just received passive stolidity. My customer experience was terrible. I would not even return if free places were available next time.

Discovered by accident couple of days ago. Deserves 5 stars: swimming pool wtih slides for kids, a sort of kid playground zone well equipped. Staff is super friendly and gentle. Good food variety and (for Tesla owner) Tesla supercharger is literally 10mins walk. Well done to bagni Pinuccia!!

We came into Marina de Varazze after the office had closed. We hailed the marina marinaros on VHF 9. Fast response and welcomed us in with great support. Eventually is a Helia 44. They did some brief paperwork hooked up water and electricity quickly. Great instructions on the marina facilities but we didn’t use them. The marina restaurants were packed you need reservations in the summer for sure. There is a great Gelateria that also has great pastries for morning. The Office staff were friendly and efficient. Mooring for 13x7M was €130 incl water and electric. There were many stores and services in the marina as well as boat servicies and what looked to be a great chandlery. We took a quick walk into town. Lots of small restaurants across from the waterfront.

Patrick Beach Varigotti is a hidden gem in Italy, offering amazing food and wine with quick and friendly service. Visitors rave about the delicious calamari and the best pinsa they've ever had. The beach itself is described as perfect, with clear water and clean sand, making it an ideal spot to relax with friends while enjoying wonderful food. The restaurant is highly recommended for its underrated yet special atmosphere, where guests can enjoy top-notch cuisine prepared by a talented chef.
Amazing food and wine, nice and quick service. Every meal we ordered tasted great, best calamari i’ve eaten this trip, and the pinsa definitely the best i have EVER eaten. Will definitely come back here. Very underrated and special place. Would recommend 10/10

Too bad that after 2 hours we tried to rinse our feet and we were attacked as if we were stealing from someone's house, and kicked out in a loud voice. Too bad we had just left €120 between the 4 of us. Without words really.

(Translated by Google) Very kind staff, nice and well-kept environment, it is probably the beach where we have eaten best so far in the west. The only flaw is the presence on the beach, before the shoreline, of a strip of Pietroline which is very painful for the feet, probably nothing can be done, but they remain very annoying. Slippers always at hand...

Personale gentilissimo, ambiente curato e ben tenuto, probabilmente è la spiaggia dove abbiamo mangiato meglio finora nel ponente. Beautiful location with wonderful sunshine (even in the winter time) but unfortunately rude and unprofessional staff (manager). I read a few reviews below and I guess they simply do not like foreigners. We walked in and sat down at table that had still plates and glasses from previous guests on it. It took them 20min (I had to ask 3times) to clean the table and only after 30min were we able to order. Employees are running all over the place like chickens without heads, poor management everywhere. When I complained to a guy who looked like the manager (owner?), his responds made me speechless - too many people... once a business owner complains he has too many customers, something is very very wrong...

The beach bar has a fantastic location! You can sit outside in the winter sun and it´s nice and warm! The food is ok at best (oversalted spaghetti vongole and mediocre pizza) and the staff is very friendly. For all this I would rate the place with 3-4 stars. But: We sat on the terrace on December 22nd, the sea was very rough, but the terrace had a railing with wooden panels, so we figured the area must be secure enough. The staff served us there, we had a good lunch and while we were drinking our coffee a very big wave came over the panels and washed us away. Two of us were soaked up to the waist and one of us even was completely floating on his chair in the water. Our smarphones who were laying on the table at the moment this happend fell in the water and even though my friend fished them out quickly they are 100 % broken now. I had my IPad in my backback which swam 5 m into the kitchen. It took around 10 minutes untill I got it back because we couldn´t find it. Of course it got wet inside. Also the Ipad needs a repair now. For the time being we were happy nothing more had happened and went to our holiday house to shower, get dry and change our clothes.
When we spoke to the lady boss the next day she apologized and informed us that she would speak to her insurance company about this situation. So we were hopping to get a little compensation for this experience (the repair costs for the phones and tablet would have been nice, we didn´t speak about my new shows and some of the other clothes). We went there every day for 12-13 days in a row and have been put off everytime untill the very last day when I was informed that the restaurant wasn´t liable for the flooding and it had been our own responsible to sit there. So we didn´t get any compensation not even a free meal on one of the following days.
I can only recommend: Beware of the sea when you sit on the beach terrace and keep your smartphones on you at all times!

The sea has a sandy entrance with shallow, crystal clear water. Attention to detail and attention to the environment (water in cardboard on the beach to avoid plastic). The restaurant is excellent and offers truly well thought out and well made dishes.
The offer of sports and entertainment is good even if visited in the decidedly off-season period. It's fine.

The Priamar Fortress is a medieval stonework prison and fortification established in 1542. This historic site, which features an archaeological museum and guided tours, is located in the city of Savona. The fortress boasts stunning views of the sea from its upper levels, and an impressive art gallery can be found at its base. Despite requiring some walking to fully explore, visitors can easily cover everything within a couple of hours if sufficient time is available.
When we arrived in Savona, we did not expect to see such a wonderful fortress, an incredibly beautiful place for a walk. Entrance is free. Despite the fact that the fortress has a toilet in its corners, it sometimes stinks of urine, which is disappointing but does not spoil the impression.

David WEBER — Google review
This place is too touristy and "trampled" to be a good place for tourists to visit. But, if you love old castles and everything connected with them, you can certainly visit it. From the top there is a good view of the city and port.

Surprised with condition of it. But nice view looking at the town side.

Elizka Pluta — Google review
Free entry, but on our visit on Monday, the archeological museum was closed and a lot of construction workers were busy building a stage. Little information on the fortress and how it is used, no people giving some explanation but this would be expected if it's free. I would be happy to pay for better experience. I'm no architectural expert, but parts of the fortress are renovated in a very basic way with recent brickstones and some newer, unstyleful buildings. They more or less ruined the old fortress. Also, the view to the east is over a factory terrain is spoiled by an ugly factory terrain.

Didn't like it, uninteresting place.
ill-conceived inconvenient for tourists. Of course, closed in the middle of the day.

Beautiful views and some good photo opportunities but no info about the building which would've been very helpful and interesting. There is so much potential here that is not being used. If it wasn't free to enter I wouldn't have recommended to go.

Not many things are free anymore but this one of them! Go enjoy the views and the history of this great monument!
Loved this beach, sandy and lots of space for dogs to run and kids to build sand castles. €60 for a lounger, a chair and parasol for the whole day. We paid €10 for an extra lounger. Especially loved that they give you a key for your own hut where you can change and leave your valuables.
Loungers are well spaced out, plenty of shade for the dogs. We even managed to buy a ball for our dog there so he could chase a ball into the sea.
Parking nearby (Margonara), we paid €6 for the whole day. We got the last spot when we arrived at 11.30am.
Staff are friendly. Bar is well priced for drinks, €5 for glass of wine and €7 for an aperol spritz, €10 for a very strong a gin & tonic.
We didn't eat there, as there are many options for restaurants along the sea front and nearby in town. Grass spots nearby if you leave the beach to let your dog do their business.
We have been to Rintin Beach in Pietra Liguria and Zero Beach in Alassio and this is our favourite by far.

Absolutely wonderful for pet owners!!! Love the concept. Doggie beach were you are welcomed too!! You can pay by the hour or by the day. If you chose the day option you will be given two chairs and a doggie water bowl. At the entrance there are doggie treats, necklaces, water toys, and paw protection for your dogs. There's also a little place where they sell basic human food. When you are done, there's a designated area to remove the sand off your dog. My only criticism is NOT ABOUT THE PLACE BUT... some of the people. These are dogs people of you don't want a dog running near you, or barking... GET YOUR OWN BEACH. Dogs are there to have fun NOT TO SIT DOWN OBEDIENTLY ALL DAY. COME ON!!

Very nice beach with nice some nice amenities. However, way overpriced. We arrived after 1pm, we paid 120€ for four people and a dog, which included 2 chairs and 2 lounge chairs. We got a bowl for water for the dog. It annoyed me that paying such a price, for using it only half a day, there was lack of flexibility, or better said: 120€ is just starting price, everything else was for a extra cost!! if you wanted 4 lounge chairs, pay 20€ more, warm water for you or your dog extra cost. Btw, the showers for humans and toilets were not cleaned/maintained enough
V Goico — Google review
Very difficult to find, lots of beaches with no signs, and occasional dogs that apparently were enjoying the beach even though it was not really allowed. When we finally found Bau Bau Village it turned out to have a fee of €40 for two adults with one dog. The beach was incredibly crowded on a Friday in July, and was very small. No particular amenities for dogs either. The dogs had a good swim, though, but not recommended.

Very kind people.Lovely and friendly. Even our dog who is not always easy with new environment, felt comfortable. Really good atmosphere. Nice sandy beach, not too much wave which is good for beginner-doggies :) The best. Don't waste your time bringing your dogs elsewhere. We've tried 4 beaches started from Alassio and Bau bau village was the best one of all (based on our dog happiness :))ps: worth the entrance fee

I was in the historic center of Albenga with my girlfriend during a weekend in the Ligurian city. The area is totally pedestrian with traffic limited to authorized vehicles only. You can find many shops and characteristic period buildings. Each commercial activity has an external paddle that can be rotated and indicate the opening or closing of the place. There are numerous bars and restaurants that occupy part of public land to offer an immersive experience to tourists and locals. The whole area is very safe for children too.

Si possono trovare moltissimi negozi ed edifici caratteristici d'epoca. Ogni attività commerciale ha una paletta esterna che può essere ruotata e indicare l'apertura o la chiusura del locale. Muretto of Alassio is a vibrant installation that commenced its creation in 1953. This tourist attraction showcases ceramic tiles filled with reproductions of renowned signatures. Alessio, the location where Muretto stands, is a charming and picturesque town that was frequented by famous individuals like Nelson and Hemingway. Very unique park boundary wall covered with little ceramic plates signed by various, mostly Italian, celebrities, composers and authors. The first to apparently sign was Ernest Hemingway! Lovely village and restaurants, making this wall the perfect place to take a passagiata after dining or bathing at the local beach!
5-kilometre system of unique underground caves and lakes, marked with colourful mineral deposits.
Fascinating walk through the caves. Refreshing to see caves lit properly, not using stupid colours. The beauty was more evident. Very interesting information from the tour guide.

We had the last guided tour on Wednesday, even though the we didn't expect it, but the guide, a lovely elder lady spoke a fabulous German. This an the fact that the caves are really 👌 scenic made it an outstanding event for the evening. Just the price, 9€ per person, was in out eyes a little in the pricey side, therefore just 4/5. For the experience 5/5.

We visited the caves one evening while on holiday. Unfortunately unlike other reviews we weren't offered anything in English to read I can just understand certain words so missed most of the dialogue. It was just assumed everyone was Italian. But the caves themselves are amazing and we'll worth a visit. Hopefully the people who work there stop assuming people are all Italian.

Picturesque cave with several ~40 minute guided tours per day. In summer it's a good way to cool down (air temperature inside is around +16°C). Highly recommended, if you're in the area.

It's 100% worth seeing this natural beauty right inside the rock. To access the cave, there's a need to book a guided tour. There are plenty of tourists there, so you'll not be alone. One thing to consider is that during 11:30 - 15:00, there is no service there. If you come later than 11:30, you'll have to wait till 15:00 for the next tour. So plan your time with this in mind. It's also challenging to find any restaurants or things to do around to wait so much time in comfortable relaxing conditions, as most of the places in this area are closed during the same time. The caves are great and fascinating! It was cold inside (16 degrees Celcius), but it was OK for many people to be just in a T-shirt. Some worm cloth would add extra comfort.

Fearing but God (not death nor the devil), I followed him and was rewarded with access to the beautiful (folding)altar you see in the pictures. There are nice flyers available of that there too.

Cantina Del Glicine in Neive was a fantastic winery to visit and tour. Our guide, Maurizio, was absolutely wonderful and fit us in for a tasting and tour last minute. He was accommodating every step of the way, giving the tour in both English and Italian, and sharing his extensive knowledge on the science of wine making and the history of the winery which dates back to 1582! Nice place to visit in Barbaresco, the lady who gave us the tour was friendly and correct. Expect a small tour of the facilities with some explanation and after that a tasting of the wines they have to offer. 1 very nice white wine, several very good reds and if you want they also have some good grappa's to try. The price is 10 euro per person for a tasting but if you buy a few bottles from the store they won't charge you this. Excellent deal, excellent wines

We made an appointment for wine tasting in advance and drove 1,5h to get there. Once we got to the place, the lady canceled the tasting at the spot. Apparently she had booked too many people. She did not offer us a new appointment. Very disappointing experience!
Säde Viitanen — Google review
Extremely unprofessional, rude older Lady running the establishment. After scheduling an appointment via phone call, a long drive to the Alba region and an additional waiting time of 20 minutes, she told our group of three, that we are not able to participate. We were shocked and wondered, if there was a language barrier. But she proceeded to tell us, that we have to leave and that the tour was full.
There were 4 other guests, most likely Italian and possibly french. My best guess is, that she couldn’t be bothered to lead an international group, or that she doesnt like foreigners.
No apology, no other possible date or any friendliness.
This was the worst experience ever in all over Italy, I can highly recommend to NOT waste your time and effort!!!
Best Regards

The Chiesa Collegiata di San Secondo is an important landmark in Asti due to its central location. It was constructed from the 10th century onwards on the site believed to be the martyrdom place of the city's patron saint. A notable attraction, it reminds visitors of the saint's imprisonment at Torre Rossa. In Ontario, there exists a replica of this beautiful and traditional church, built in 1926. So thanks for have created a play room in The middle of the show where we could paint a draw, read a book and built a tower . There is at present a very fine and large Chagall exposition, both paintings and drawings, that runs through Feb 3rd, 2019 Addittionally, the palace is worth a visit.

You can't see much of the castle, mostly an art museum. Staff is not very kind
Asti Cathedral, also known as Cattedrale di Santa Maria Assunta or the Duomo, is a significant landmark in Asti. Its origins date back to the 5th or 6th centuries, and it has undergone multiple reconstructions over the years. The current structure was finished in the 13th century with later additions.
Absolutely stunning cathedral with many incredible treasures and beautiful works of art. Do not miss this if you are in the area. Gorgeous and very kind staff.

Beautiful early Gothic church. You don't always expect such a great cathedral in a small town such as Asti so this was a wonderful surprise. The frescos are particularly incredible. They literally look three dimensional.

Superb architecture with history oozing from the walls.

It's part of my life, I grew up in the Cathedral neighborhood and this Romanic- Gothic church was my point of reference for a lot of time. It's a typical church of its age that is recurrent in the Monferrato area. It is surrounded by a big square where we use to celebrate big events. Every September the Palio parade starts from this square and during summer concerts happen here

An huge building with different spatial elements that are embellished by painting internally.
The best discovery of our summer with kids. A nice water park easily accessible (very close to the exit of a major highway) with areas and pools for both small kids and older ones. There are multiple slides (for the most challenging ones the kids must be 130cm tall), pools and playgrounds.

A very good water amusement park. Not many tourists. You can bring your own food and drinks but on the other side the food and drinks you can buy inside is more then fair. The pool areas are very good. There is a springboard and platform pool. A pool for small children. A pool for playing and swimming and a pool with water sliders.

Get there early if you want a sunbed or even a chair on the weekend. Most slides are min 1m height, 2 of them 1.2m.
