La Fontaine des Éléphants is a beautiful monument erected in December 1838 to honor the General-Comte de Boigne. Located in the old town of Chambery, it is marked by street signs leading to its center. The fountain features four splendidly designed elephant statues that spray water through their trunks, making it the most famous attraction in the city.
A beautiful fontaine, statue with an interesting story.

Great spot with lots of places to eat nearby. There was even a carousel for the kids when I was there.

Inaugurated in Dec. 1838, this is a monument to celebrate the General-Comte de Boigne.
Look carefully around, the path to the fountain is actually marked by indications on the streets of the old town of Chambery…

3.5🌟 we reckon.
On the way back from Annecy to Grenoble, we decided to stop in Chambery. It was still early.
We were pleasantly surprised that the town has lots to offer too. We parked near the main square. As usual, there are lots of restaurants, cafes, ice-cream parlours at the square.
Decided to stroll further after our evening drinks. We arrived at the fountain. Most fountains in larger towns we have seen are always grand and somewhat of a center piece. This one is no different.
The elephants have their backs again the fountain, which is of course a defensive posture. As if to tell everyone, they are protecting the fountain.
Walking further, we were greeted by several other monuments within the town.
A worthwhile stopover with many sights to see.

Beautiful monument and fountain with 4 elephants, 1 on each side spraying water through their trunks. Surrounded by streets that are pleasant to walk and many stores to do some shopping. It is freely accessible and well lit at night. An iconic symbol of the city created to honour a general.

A hidden gem in France. This is such a picturesque beautiful little town, with narrow streets and lovely restaurants. Slap bang in the middle of the French Alps.

La Fontaine des Éléphants in Chambéry is a true gem. The beauty of the sculpted elephants is simply breathtaking and the attention to detail is amazing. The fountain is surrounded by lush greenery, making it a peaceful and serene place to relax. The atmosphere is peaceful and calming, and it's a great place to take a break from the hustle and bustle of the city. I highly recommend visiting La Fontaine des Éléphants for anyone looking for a peaceful and beautiful oasis in Chambéry. Whether you're a local or a tourist, this stunning fountain is not to be missed.

Beautiful sculptures and fountains but the businesses surrounding them are so so... Could do with some landscaping and place making.
Zac Robinson — Google review
A large fountain with elephants on four sides. Water spouts from the trunks so when it's hot, you can have an elephant cool you a bit
Seimen Burum — Google review
There's lot's of beggars and homeless in the vicinity who disturb you by photoshooting.
Restaurants around the square are nice, though. With a nice scene for photography.
Mohammad Bagheri — Google review
Such a unique sight seeing at the center if Chambéry. A very beautiful fountain with great history. It’s located at the entrance of the old city of Chambery which is also a unique path to walk since the architecture is so really beautiful.
The Vieille Ville Annecy, a popular tourist attraction, is characterized by its well-preserved medieval Old Town. Visitors can enjoy wandering around the area without any specific purpose and admire the emerald-green canals that run beneath ancient stone bridges. The pastel-painted buildings from the 16th and 17th centuries are another noteworthy feature of this charming town, which basks in the warm sunlight.

Lake Annecy, located in France, is a breathtaking body of water that offers ample opportunities for swimming and various water sports. The lake is surrounded by mountains and adjacent parks with plenty of bike paths to explore. It's an ideal place to take a stroll with your family or furry friend as all stores are pet-friendly. For the ultimate experience, it is recommended to visit during the end of spring or summer when the weather is perfect for enjoying all that this magical place has to offer.
Beautiful lake with a stunning vista of the snow capped alps in the background. The water is clear and blue. A great place to take a leisurely stroll, but also seems a popular area for running or cycling around.

My visit to the Lake was so amazing. Annecy is a beautiful and peaceful city. The Lake had amazing views and it was simply picturesque.
The water was very clear and the rumours about the lake annecy having the cleanest water in Europe seemed true.
As a tourist to Annecy you definitely have to visit the Lake. There are alot of beautiful places to take nice pictures and after having a fun time at the lake there are a lot of restaurants and bars around you have a meal or drink at very affordable prices.
I will definitely be visiting again in the future as I love it so much my only challenge with the city is that it's very small so you there are no trains or trams to go around and I dont understand how the buses worked.

Definitely you cannot visit France without visiting this place “lac d’Annecy”. It is a magic place with these unimaginable views. Here you can walk with your family, your dog… all of the stores are pet friendly. I prefer to visit this village in summer or in the end of spring because the weather is the most important thing to enjoy it till 100%. Also, behind the pics, there is a big park with grass to rest a bit.

Truly stunning. I will certainly be back for a longer stay! There are water activities to try and the little village town has a lot more shops and restaurants than I had expected! Come for no less than a full day because you will want to enjoy the leisurely lunch, do shopping and enjoy lake. The morning market is really good and the locals are very friendly compared to the rest of France. The region is famous for its dairy products.

Such a beautiful lake with a magnificent view. You can enjoy a picnic with your loved ones while bathing in the lake or taking a sun bath. There is a good restaurant besides the lake but the number of food outlets can be increased to provide food at all times to the tourists.
Apart from that, clear water, blue vibes and the pure environment just makes your day. ❤️

Lake Annecy claims the Europe's most cleanest and clear lake! 😍 its such an amazing clear lake with a French Alps view 😍
There are plenty of activities to do on the lake such as kayaking, swimming (the temperature maybe cold thus suggested to swim during summer) , pedal boat, etc.
Must visit lake 👍🏻
La charming village of La Clusaz, located in the Haute-Savoie department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region of southeastern France, is renowned for its winter sports. It's a popular destination for snow enthusiasts and is one of the most sought-after ski resorts in the Alps. The area gained additional fame through videos featuring freeride skier Candide Thovex, showcasing it as a playground for off-piste aficionados.
My teenage son was in Bronze/Diamante group with Stefan and had a great time whizzing around the slopes and doing jumps in the snow park. He has definitely improved and had a great time. He really liked his instructor too.
I was in Adulte 3 with Matteo. We were 7 adults and Matteo looked after us, encouraged us and helped us to become more confident especially on slopes that were steeper for us. I hadn't had lessons for a long time and found it hard to find adult groups at the right level in the past few years. I felt that as the week went on I was skiing better than I had in a long time! My lack of fitness and confidence has been a real barrier for me over the last few years, but skiing in a nice group with a good instructor made my holiday. I felt so much happier skiing and confident in my ability as the week went on.
I would definitely recommend Prosneige and would book them again for myself and my son.

Had two 2hr private sessions with Mathilde. She was fantastic, really friendly, helpful and a blast to be with. The sessions started and ended on time and everything went smoothly. It's also a great location on the main strip in Val Thorens. Would highly recommend booking your ski lesson with Prosneige!

The guys in Prosneige treated me like a king and fitted the new boots with professionalism and care, I needed an adjustment to the right boot and they were great in doing it. Their service, attitude, and professionalism allowed me to have the best ski boots I ever had and if you love skiing and get to Val Thorens do yourself a favor and buy your boots here
Udi Kafri — Google review
Highly recommend using Prosneige for lessons. We had 6 snowboarding lessons with Charly and absolutely loved them! He provided really clear instructions, tips and demos for beginners and made lessons fun and varied, too. He kept the motivation up when I was struggling which was really important for me! Great instructor
Erica Don — Google review
I can't recommend Prosneige highly enough! Jeremy and all the team were absolutely fantastic at fitting some boots for me. I have *very* wide calves, but small feet, and several places in the UK weren't up to the "challenge". Jeremy put me at ease, knew exactly which boots to go for and encouraged me to keep coming back until the fit was perfect.
Being able to buy boots, ski in them the next day and then have any tweaks made there and then was ideal!
Really friendly team, great value service!

Our kids had a great time there. Claire and the staff are very friendly. Not always easy to manage young children, but they made it look effortless.
Me and my wife had private lessons and had a great time there with Milan. Hope to see you again next year!

I booked the adults beginner class for the week while staying in VT. This was my first time skiing and thanks to the fantastic instructor and all of the kind staff at Prosneige I cannot wait to come back again!! I left at the end of the week feeling confident with my skiing and overall had the best time, every minute of the class was enjoyable. Plus my group were all so friendly and everyone was there to help one another. It was like a little family by the end of the week.
Big thank you to Philip my instructor & see you again soon :)

The best ski school and instructors, I arrived as a really nervous absolute beginner and Milan taught me the essentials along with building my confidence. He adapted the lessons as I was progressing and was extremely patient. I can’t rate highly enough. I even booked more lessons throughout the week and I enjoyed them so much. Thanks Milan.

The hubby and I came to Prosneige after getting recommendations and got two pairs of ski boots fitted there during our stay in Val Thorens. The experience was beyond excellent.
Erik is a true professional, and the amount of time and attention he spends on each customer to get a perfect fit is astounding.
While we were at the shop we encountered a few returning customers who came for post-purchase micro adjustments, and they shares our sentiments. Needless to say they were given the highest level of service, as were we.
We highly recommend Prosneige Val Thorens. There is no better place to get a properly fitted ski boot.

Can’t recommend enough. At the ski shop, the two attendants at Fitz Roy were super helpful and did everything to make sure I got the perfect equipment.

My instructor Philippe (in Val Thorens) was amazing! I could notice that he enjoys teaching people and that makes a difference. He was super nice and really helped boost our confidence on the slopes. He knew exactly how to push us just enough to improve while keeping us safe. Even in group lessons, he somehow managed to give personalized tips to each of us. And his reminder to focus on enjoying ourselves made all the difference, which is something easily to forget for beginners. Merci, Philippe , for helping me improve in one week and reminding me to have fun!

We had the best ski 🎿 instructor this week!! Mathaiu (Matt) made learning so much fun! Improved our technique. Mixed it up with some off piste and improved our confidence on the steeper slopes. Thanks Matt - great job!! See you next year 👍 Charlie & Lisa

I took the adult beginner ski lessons in Val Thorens. The teachers Frederique and Lionel are both very friendly and patient, explained clearly, gave personal advise to each participant in the group. Thank you very much for the great experience! I definitely recommend Prosneige!

Prosneige School helped me enjoy my ski vacation so much better. I showed up on day one having completely forgotten how to ski. After 3 days taking lessons for 2 hours a day, I was already able to ski down some blue slopes. That's a huge improvement for me. Every day was fun and exciting to see my skill level go up. The instructors were all very friendly. They knew how to push my limits up while still made me feel safe. I would recommend them to anyone in a heartbeat and will definitely come back the next time I go skiing in Val Thorens.

I always avoid instructors and classes because I tend to be dissapointed by them. This time it was very different and I absolutely loved it.
I had a private instructor for me and my girlfriend who I won't name to increase the changes for him to be available next year when we are coming back. He had very clear and useful feedback during the 6 days.
We were not beginners but were doing many things wrong. In those days we were able to correct our parallel skiing, do some level of carving and go off piste in deep snow. Overall, we couldn't have asked for more.

Great place for beginner skiers. Huge selection of runs of varying difficulty. Maybe missing the nightlife of some of the bigger resorts, as it's spread out across 10 smaller locations, but after a day of skiing we didn't miss the late nights. Would definitely recommend for anyone new to skiing
Jeff Caro-Nash — Google review
I've been coming here for a few years and have to say it's an incredible resort.
Not only are there vast areas to ski at all levels, but it's the way they continue to keep the resort up to date in terms of lifts and skiing experience.
It almost feels that every time you come back there is a new high-speed chair or a modification to a run to make it that bit more interesting.
The runs are mainly blue, but they are fantastic, long, and interesting. Some being more suited to beginners and intermediates, and some getting a bit steaper to help people progress. The reds are then a welcomed challenge, with some being un grommed to give that mogal field joy we all love ;-)
The blacks are mostly ungroomed, with some being long and pretty steep in places to give a good challenge to those who want it. Granted, the blacks can often be closed depending on snowfall, but that is good to see in a way that they are looking out for the skiers who come here.
There is a vast amount of off piest skiing to be done as well for those who want the challenge.
I've skiied a good few resorts and do find myself comparing to la plagne just because of how well it's looked after and also because of the sheer volume of skiing to be done.
Well worth coming here if you can

It was fantastic. This was our first time at La Plagne. It was easily accessible by snow, foot or bus to each of the resorts. It was very family friendly and had great blue runs for our daughter to practice her skiing on!
We will be back as we didn't get to do some of the off slope activities so still plenty to explore for next time!
Emmia Stratford — Google review
It's the 2nd time here for my husband and I. We visited 5 years ago. The villages are all a bit different but It's a massive area with some great skiing. It has something for everyone.
Valerie Robinson — Google review
I spent the last week in March 2024 here. Was excellent. It's a group of small villages spread out over the mountain and all connected via lifts or buses.
The slopes themselves were massive, could easily spend a week exploring the mountain and never take the same run twice. It's geared more towards skiers, and I do wish there was some more green runs to just play around in and slow things down but it's not a deal breaker.
Nightlife is spread out across the villages and it's a couple bars that see most of the action. Nothing crazy.
Supermarkets do have some insane prices given the remote nature of the resort.
Lots of people take their dogs and there always playing in the snow which I love to see.
Great place overall.

Really wonderful wide slopes and enough lifts to serve all visitors rapidly.

La Plagne ski resort in France is an absolute gem! I recently had the pleasure of visiting this winter wonderland, and I was blown away by the quality of the slopes, the stunning scenery, and the friendly staff.
Firstly, the skiing experience at La Plagne is simply unparalleled. With over 225km of ski runs, there is something for everyone, from gentle beginner slopes to challenging black runs for the more advanced skiers. The slopes are impeccably maintained, with plenty of snowmaking machines ensuring that there is always a good base, even in warmer weather. The lifts are also modern and efficient, meaning that there are never long queues or waiting times.
Secondly, the scenery at La Plagne is absolutely breathtaking. Nestled in the heart of the French Alps, the resort offers stunning views of snow-capped mountains, glaciers, and pine forests. Whether you're skiing down the slopes or enjoying a hot chocolate in one of the many cozy mountain cafes, you'll feel like you're in a winter wonderland.
Finally, I have to mention the staff at La Plagne, who truly went above and beyond to make my stay unforgettable. From the friendly ski instructors to the helpful hotel staff, everyone was incredibly welcoming and accommodating. It's clear that they take great pride in their work and in providing the best possible experience for their guests.
Overall, I can't recommend La Plagne ski resort highly enough. Whether you're an experienced skier or a first-timer, you'll love the stunning slopes, breathtaking scenery, and friendly atmosphere of this amazing resort.

Good resort, quite big so plenty to do. Lots of restaurants around as well so you won't go hungry. Lifts are good though none have covers for when it's super cold but that's not too much of a problem. A few nice slopes for beginners but quite a few of the blues are also quite steep.
Kate Busby — Google review
Fantastic ski resort with a wide variety of runs for all ski levels. Never had to wait too long for a lift, and runs were well groomed and sign posted.
Freddie Hemingway — Google review
Lovely ski area which is huge if you include the linked Les Arcs. Lots of nice restaurants and a very wide range of pistes.
There is a problem with queues at pinch points like Plagne Bellacott and 1800 when the ski schools leave and at the end of the day when everyone is trying to get home.
Jeff Bulled — Google review
Fantastic week of skiing, luckily perfectly timed. High enough for snow sure and even on Xmas day only waited 15min for lift.
Average meal with drinks 30-40 euro.
Recommended.

First time skiing, and this ski resort is amazing. La plagne bellecote is high up, which means you wake up to snow outside your apartment. There are many runs from bellecote and you can also go into other la plagne villages for more runs!

Great ski resort especially for families. We were there in xmas week and we had great time. The snow quality was very good. There are many pistes for different levels and they all end at the same spot. There are many options for cafe and restaurants at the top and bottom of the mountains. There is an indoor galeri/shopping center very convenient for eating, drinking, shopping in the evenings. It also includes a cinema, ice skating area. In every 15 minutes there is a free bus makes it easy to move around la Plagne.
Tignes is a renowned ski resort with excellent skiing facilities and easy access to nearby resorts and amenities through reliable public transportation links. It features a funicular that takes visitors to a massive ski area, along with various options for eateries, hotels, shops, and even a lagoon. The ski area provides ample snow cover even in April, ensuring enjoyable skiing experiences for visitors of all skill levels. However, there are some outdated ski lifts that need replacing to improve the overall impression of the resort.
For the fourth time in this ski resort. Always plenty of snow, always nice weather !!! A place to return to. Remark, to replace a couple of old ski lifts which still spoils the impression a bit.
Marko Markovic — Google review
Having been to the relatively nearby Les Trois Vallées, I can say Tignes is comparable in many ways and offering a ski experience on par with its more premium cousin.
The resort boasts a large piste playground stretching over several key areas from the family-friendly Tignes (Le Lac, Val Claret, 1800) to the more advanced terrain of Val d'Isère with a wide range of pistes for different skill levels. Runs are great as they're groomed daily and the slopes receive tons of powder. Weather conditions can vary drastically throughout the week but we experienced some of the best conditions during our time with lots of bluebird days. And just as you think the snow's getting a little packed, fresh snow gets dumped to refresh the pistes. The resort is generally well-connected, allowing you to easily reach new areas to explore - otherwise, they have frequent shuttle buses that go between major stops around the resort.
The town is very walkable and has a decent range of dining options both on and off piste throughout the day and to kick back après ski.
Overall, it's a great resort with lots to offer for beginners and experts alike!

Very efficient ski resort with a large range of slopes from easy ones to very difficult ones.

Simply the best ski area in France, great lifts with few waiting times en perfectly prepared slopes.

Tignes and the whole of the Espace Killy is one of the best ski resorts in the world! Superb runs, fantastic restaurants, the Grande Motte, I could go on and on! A must visit for any skier
Andy Mack PT and Pilates — Google review
Been here twice this year, love it! Vast slopes to explore, 300km+ all connected with slopes or lifts, if you plan well , no need to take a bus but can always ski back to any places.
rayer vv — Google review
Direct access to slopes to a very large ski domein, a lot of snow, skiers are civilized, good to exquisite food on the restaurants. The landscape is spectacular. Hotels are in the architecture of the 80's but modernised will all necessary confort. Due to the attitude may be foggy and cold to frozen! Speak French, locals will appreciate it!

A super domain for skiing, with a lot of slopes for all levels. Great quality of the skiing schools with bilingual monitors. We’ll be back for sure.
Andreea Mitrache — Google review
Great resort, very professional staff, efficient transportation, well maintained infrastructure. One of our favorites in the french Alps.
Sébastien Delneste — Google review
Great position just below Grande Motte, restaurant food good and surprisingly not overly expensive. The Red Setter dog wandering around with "feed me" eyes was so lovely.
Cascate di Lillaz is an alpine waterfall consisting of three levels, and it's a popular spot for winter ice climbing. The area offers gentle trails suitable for a leisurely stroll, with various paths leading to the waterfall. While the hike provides stunning views, it can be challenging, especially in winter conditions where proper hiking gear is necessary. During dry seasons, the water levels may be affected. However, on hot summer days, visitors can enjoy the refreshing water streams along the way.
Beautiful cascade. You can just view at the bottom but there's a fantastic walk up the side and beyond alongside a lovely river through alpine meadows
Kathryn Barrow — Google review
The walk and cascades are very poplar and quite busy along the path at times. The hike up is short but steep, rocky and uneven. Nice cascades but only visit if it’s on the way to somewhere or if you have a lot of time to kill.
Rob Collins — Google review
It was a nice stroll around the Lillaz small town and the park, before getting to the waterfall. The waterfall hike had several paths. If you like hiking and taking an easier hike trail, this could be for you. If you're new, you could face some challenges (if you have vertigo, you can just enjoy the park without the hike).
Unfortunately when we were there, the drought had effected the water levels, hence the low level of water. There are several restaurants in the town that you could dine in before or after your hike/walk. Parkings (free and paid) are available before entering the town.
Ivan K — Google review
What a beautiful place to hike! We stopped here on our way from Turin to Courmayeur and could’ve stayed all day! Well manicured and marked trails and so many beautiful waterfalls! Plenty of free parking near the trailheads.
Niki DB — Google review
Absolutely stunning views but need to be prepared with full on hiking gear for winter conditions. We were a little over optimistic and spent almost 5 hours trying to get along the ominously deep snow and then down to incredibly icy and slippery decent whereby we both feel quite hard on countless occasions. Overall took us 8 hours to complete with the finish line being in complete darkness with only our phone flashlights to guide us. Probably very naive but want to make sure others do not make the same mistake due to the very easy climb up which then turns into a completely different scenario.
ella maggs — Google review
We went on a hot summer day when it's 32 degrees Celsius ,it's was dry but waterfall worth climbing and best part was we were able to enjoy water stream during our way down . It's a great hiking place !The town is also very pretty with all pink flowers in every balcony.

Very nice and easy walk to see the waterfall. Place to rest and may enter the water in a warm day in the summer. I recommand going up to see the upper waterfalls

Issogne Castle is a beautifully restored Renaissance manor located in the Aosta Valley. It boasts a richly decorated interior with Court Gothic wall paintings and remarkable frescoes depicting scenes from everyday life over 500 years ago. The castle offers guided tours, allowing visitors to gain insight into medieval court life. Surrounded by a garden featuring a unique tree-shaped fountain, Issogne Castle provides an elegant testimony to the region's medieval heritage and Renaissance style.
Nice place to visit! The history of the castle was amazing. Thanks a lot to our guide Francesca!!
Bistra Belcheva — Google review
The Castle is not the classic medieval fortress but a residence from the 1500s, which can be visited, with beautiful frescoes and rooms, in my opinion the interiors of the castle are the best in the whole of the Aosta Valley.
Luca Bigliardi — Google review
From the street it seems anything but a castle and you could have the will to come back because it would seem worth chump change from parking lot. Don't go away!
Once entered you can see one of the best preserved castle of Valley. And it's huge with a lot of frescoed rooms. 5€ for a guided visit it's the worth of it (free for children with less than 6 years).
Very competent guide in Italian language.
Rocco Affinito — Google review
From the outside it doesn't look too attractive. Really. But inside... so many interesting and unique exhibits and wall paintings. Go there if you are interested in history.
Michał Siekierski — Google review
One of the most visited Castles in the Valley. A castle and a palace, with colorful frescoes and furniture ( original or replaced but according to the style). Remarkable writings dating back 1700 or 1600 left by the pilgrims. The guided tour (in italian) was really interesting.

More a residence than a castle, but very interesting and well worth a visit
Gian Luca Lippi — Google review
The place was very beautiful. However the guided tour was quite disappointing. Not only the guide seemed rushed and spoke very fast (my Italian is basic but enough for basic understanding, my gf is Italian and agreed that she struggled to follow), the people around were disrespectful and would talk on top of her. The guide should politely ask them to shut up and continue presenting her idea, preferably showing interest in her topic.

My phone says I visited today but I was just picking up my daughter from school.. I've been there and I can say it's the best castle in the valley. Cost about 10€ per person.
The park Parco del Valentino lies in the heart of Turin, Italy. It is a lush green space with winding paths and shady woodland, and it is home to a medieval castle as well as rare trees and flowers. The park is perfect for a relaxing afternoon or evening out, and it features many historical features such as the Castello del Valentino.
Very large park situated along the Po River. Lots of walking/running paths, many kiosks for coffee/snacks, traffic free. Beautiful scenery. I see something new every time I visit. My only complaint is too many barking dogs.
Melanie Fick — Google review
Gorgeous park during the day, the chilly vibes are amazing, perfect for walking with friends or walking your dog.
The sounds of the city are like set off to make place for nature sounds that are not that common in a big city as Turin!
Really appreciated it, it has many places to seat and rest. And last but not least important the squirrels are so cute and fun!

it's really amazing huge park ( most probably the biggest park in Torino). there are many paths for walking, jogging, cycling etc. there's Po river pass through the park and it gave amazing view in different seasons, it's really colourful park, you can visit and enjoy every season, you won't regret, if you come to Turin don't misss that opportunity to walk in parco del Valentino

Simply mesmerizing. The attention to details is impressive. Huge variety of plants and trees, a lot of shade where you could rest (i recommend by the various ponds or by the stream).
Worth a visit is the medieval village, very peculiar.

Beautiful BIG garden boarded by a river. Visited during the fall, this park offers some beautiful fall sceneries with so many different colours and different animals like a beaver, a
squirrel, a duck... There is also an interest medieval village and a botanic garden. And there is a beautiful and original castle with 2 different architectures according to the sides. A very complete park

A great spot along the river Po where you can enjoy a stroll, a run or a simple people watching. With a number of cafés and rowing clubs. Let's not forget the Borgo Medievale and for the wildlife lovers, cheeky little squirrels that will eat from your hand.

Great for a quick visit. There is drinkable water fountain in the middle and overall great scenery. There are many medieval souvenir shops selling templar badges, harry potter handmade merch, small katanas and many more cool things.

The Parco del Valentino lies on the River Po and is a short walk from the city centre.
It is extremely varied with a French-style château which houses the local university's Faculty of Architecture, a faux medieval village (actually built in the 19th century), a huge fountain symbolising the 12 months of the year, etc..
Perfect for kids, walkers, cyclists or anyone who wants to appreciate some welcome greenery.

The Mole Antonelliana Museum houses a world-famous collection of cinema memorabilia and provides visitors with an in-depth look at the history of filmmaking. The building is located in the eccentric Mole Antonelliana district, which is home to numerous art galleries, shops, and restaurants.

The museum is also beautifully designed and laid out, making it a pleasure to explore. The center of the museum is pretty cool, with a huge open space with staircases on the walls.
The panoramic elevator is a must. Its pretty cheap and you get to see great view of Turin.

This place is AMAZING. Must see it in Turin. Fabulous museum of cinema (not only for the people whose like movies but for all of us!). Additionally there is a panoramic lift-it goes upstairs the Mole and the view is magnificent. Ticket for the museum and for panoramic lift costs 15 euros. You can buy also the ticket for the one attraction if you would like to. I recommend buy tickets online, you won't be waiting in the queue for the tickets office.

Love the cinema museum, a real highlight for any visitor, this was my second visit, I came specifically for the Dario Argento exhibit and it did not disappoint, we spent two hours touring, reading the film history, seeing some of the actual props and generally having a nice time, if nice is the right word to use when touring a horror exhibition.
There is lots of things to see and do here, this includes riding the wonderful lift.
Make sure you stay in the main hall for at least one whole hour so you can see it flooded with light as the blinds open up.
Amazing!

The most spectacular views of Torino from here! You will get a 360 degrees view of the entire sprawling city and the surrounding lush greenery, including the hills. The elevator ride is awesome when you will ride up through levels of shops, museums etc. The tower houses the national museum of cinema (Museo Nazionale del Cinema). You should plan on spending at least an hour up there up top taking in breathtaking views of each quadrant of the city. If you wanted to spend some time in the museum and take your time looking around, you will need to budget a few hours visiting this tower. Making reservations and buying tickets ahead of time is highly recommended.

It takes you through the history of cinema, from the beginning to today. It explains the entire industry surrounding a film in a way that everyone can understand. Stunning fort, incredibly well kept and in such an amazing position.
A must stop if travelling through valle d'Aosta.
There are usually different expositions inside, always interesting, might be a good idea to check in advance the programs.
The prisons are well kept and worth a visit, the mountain museum is a bit messy and slightly outdated, maybe more interesting to school groups rather than individual visitors.
Worth having a read online about the history of the place.
The medioeval village is just as impressive and there are some great shops and restaurants.
It would take at least a full day to fully explore the fort and village.

The entrance to the fort is free. The museums and exhibitions inside the fort are not. We chose the Alpine museum and the prisons. The Alpine museum was a bit oudated and only in french and Italian. We love it.
To go up, there are 2 ways: walk or with funicular.
The parking lots: underneath the fort (until in front of the fort) or just about 100m more for people who want to walk.
I don’t remember the price for parking. We spent more than 3 hours and we pay €4.
The parking lot on the basement are small space but you could go up until 2nd level and park just in front of the entrance.
4 times go up and change the funicular.
With €15/person you can go up with funicular (return ticket) and also visit 2 museums.
We have change to visit: museum of Alpine (this museum is huge and many interesting info and history, I f you like history), prison and first museum on the first stop of funicular (forget the name)
They have also many exhibitions and this is free.
If you are not fans of museum or history, just pay €8/persons and you have chance with funicular and visit one museum.
They have cafeteria and restaurant on the top.
Good service. They speak Italian, French and English.
Don’t forget to enjoy short video about the fort itself from the beginning until 20th century.

It is a pity because has potential to be a great museum.

The Basilica of Superga is a baroque basilica in the province of Turin, Italy. It overlooks the city and the Alps and is also the burial site of the royal House of Savoy. The complex was designed by Filippo Juvarra and completed in 1715.
The basilica itself is stunning,I suggest gettin tickets for the museum and for the panoramic view on top of the Basilica it's so worth it because u can see all of Turin and the Alpes surrounding it.

Incredible view of Turin. Unfortunately, the train that takes you up to the Basilica was not working the day we went (doesn't work on Wednesdays), but there was still a bus which brought us up.
The basilica is free to visit, but you have to pay a small fee per person (I believe it was 7 euro) for the guided visit of the tombs. Note that the day we went, the tour of the bombs was only running from 11:30 to 12:30, so make sure you are there on time. You can buy tickets on-site.
Note: There are toilets - for the men's bathroom it is on the floor, which was weird ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

We would rate this place as a 3.5⭐️.
The drive up to Superga is winding and road is narrow. Be careful.
From the parking lot (which is free), you could see a major part of Torino. The day we went up, it was misty. We could not see far.
Take some time to read the depiction of history behind the existence of Superga. It’s intriguing.
If you want a better view of Torino, climb to the top of Superga dome. Do this if it is a clear day. There is a fee to pay.

A tram ride took you to the top. The views on the way up were amazing. We walked around the Basilica, and it was beautiful. The views looking around and from the top were amazing too, worth a visit.

Beautiful Basilica above Torino in the Parco di remberance. The views of the city are amazing! The Basilica itself is stunning and has an amazing story behind its construction. Well worth a visit by car or the train that runs from the edge of town.

Worth the trip. Number 15 tram out of Turin then the tram car up the hill. The tram car is brilliant and the views from the top of the Basilica are fantastic.

Amazing church. It is old, beautiful and located in marvelous mountain. It is a great idea to go there in nice weather for a half of the day and get here by the old tram. I also recommend to get up on the roof. The views are absolutely marvelous. And don't forget to get inside the church, as it has beautiful statues and pictures inside.

My personal highlight of my holiday.
Getting to the station was a mare, but the train ride was so lovely.
The Basilica is a beautiful building and so grand. I joined a tour of the tombs (Italian only but the provided English guide sheet was helpful) and it was something else. The stairs to reach the rooftop were tough but the views were worth it.

Part of the Torinese history and an amazing Basilica on the Langhe hills just outside Turin, with a colorful and also tragic history. Walk up to the dome to catch breathtaking views. The final resting place of the kings of Savoyen. Offers great hiking tours. The basilica itself houses some fantastic marble sculptures.

Very cool church but it was closed when we visited. The memorial to the plane crash with the soccer team was very nice. The views of Turin are spectacular.

Absolutely stunning Basilica which gives you sights all over the City of Turin - it is a 20 minute journey out of Turin and it is only accessible to the terrace by steps but well worth it for the views

This is an amazing spiritual site located in an unbelievable natural setting. It is a historic place of importance in the development of Turin as a city and its independent culture. You will be in awe of the beauty of the church and the artwork inside. There are amazing views of the city and the alps in the distance. It also has hiking trails to see the natural area.

A must visit church if you are in Torino. The little flower shaped stone decorations are cute from a close look but create a majestic tone put together.

Wonderful place to visit using the funicular railway. The Basilica was delightful and beautifully serene inside. The views from the cupula were amazing looking over Torino.

One of the most stunning churches of Absolutism age in North western part of Italy designed by a famous royal architect. From Porta Nuova, it takes almost 1.5 hr to get there by 3 busses. The last bus will depart from this place at 5 pm approximately.
The perfect time to be there is around sunset to get the best view of the Torino. There is sitting benches and beautiful cafés with terraces overlooking the horizon.
Samiliow — Google review
It's location is just perfect. It can be seen from afar. We climbed on the dome, it costs €3, children under 18, free entry. One can see the Alps and the whole Torino from above, not only from the dome, but also from the plateau.
This is also the place of the memorial for the football players who died in there in 1949.
Ana-Monica Cojocarescu — Google review
Time wonderfully spent! This is a charming basilica located atop a hill.
How to reach - if you are planning to travel by bus, get off at the Sassi Stazione stop. Just a stone's throw away from this stop is the Sassi Superga tram station. Tram services start from 10 in the morning and departure schedules are available easily online on the GTT website (www.gtt.to.it). The tickets need to be bought at the station. A round ticket cost 9€ when we visited; with the piemonte pass, you get a discount and the ticket costs 4€. With scenic views and a nostalgic old-world charm about it, the tram ride is worth it! If you plan to ditch the tram ride, you could take the road instead and drive to the Superga.
Entry- entry to the basilica is free. However, to visit the underground royal tombs and to access the views from the dome, you will have to get a ticket (5€ for the tombs and 3€ for the dome). This cost is exempted for piemonte pass holders. A single swipe will give you access to both these attractions.
Experience - the basilica is beautiful and serene (visiting it would take you around 15 to 30 minutes). The tombs are worth visiting, especially for history buffs. Visitors are allowed inside in batches, along with a guide. While the guide speaks in Italian, there are written translations available in English. This tour will take around 1 hr to complete. The views from the dome are breathtaking. Again, visitors are allowed in batches. So there might be a queue and some waiting before your turn arrives. Factor in a waiting time of approx 20 to 30mins, especially on weekends when there are more people visiting. The climb is steep, so be prepared for a good workout! The views make up for the effort put in!
All in all, 2.5 hours is a good amount of time to cover all that the basilica has got to offer.
There is a cafe within the complex too, if you want to grab some short eats and caffe. A couple vegetarian options are available too. Alternatively, you could also bring some snacks with you and enjoy them with your family in any of the numerous seating options available outside the basilica!
Return - if you plan to take the tram back to the foot of the hill, check the schedule in advance and plan your itinerary accordingly. Also, if you are pressed for time and have other commitments/bookings lined up for the day, ensure u are at the tram station a little bit in advance and not at the nick of time, lest you end up waiting for the next scheduled ride. This is because sometimes, if the crowd is more, there is a long queue of people waiting to board the tram.
Varsha Hegde — Google review
Very beautiful hiking route if you enjoy being in nature you can also take the train which is 6€ each way.
The cafe is cheap and good I recommend it.
You can visit the roof of the church if you get the ticket.

Beautiful basilica. A very easy but somewhat of a nerve wrecking mountain drive from Turino. But there is public transportation. There are beautiful views of Turino and the surrounding mountains. We stopped on our drive to Milan and it was well worth it.
The caretaker was very helpful and friendly.
Adam Fordham — Google review
A serene spot with stunning views of Turin and the Alps. Great for photos, accessible by car or historic tram from Sassi station. Tram tickets are easily purchasable, departing every hour from Sassi. Be early; seats aren't assigned. The slow tram ride is a charming experience. Inside the Basilica, free entry, and an option to ascend with a ticket. Behind, find a mural honoring the Torino football players' tragedy. Tombe reali and a nearby bar add to the visit. Plan for 1.5-2hrs, including tram time.

The Messer Tulipano is an amazing event!
I had never seen so many beautiful flowers in the same place. It was very easy to arrive from Torino (we took only one bus). The locals were friendly and their English was good.
The town of Pralormo is very small, but if you have time I highly suggest going for a walk and seeing some of the farmlands as well.

Castello e Parco di Masino is an 11th-century hilltop castle with stunning views of the surrounding plain. The interior boasts original 17th-century furniture and frescoed salons, offering a majestic experience for visitors. Families can enjoy the labyrinth and playground on the grounds. The castle is easy to navigate, with multilingual visitor cards in each room.

Definitely worth the visit. It is an old medieval castle that one of the workers said dates back to the year 1002. Lots of the furniture inside dates back to the 1600s and is all original. The day we were there they were removing over 100 pictures from one of the rooms in order to restore it to the state it was in in the 1600s. Behind the pictures you could see the original frescos. In general the inside of the castle is majestic. The kids will enjoy the labyrinth and the castle play ground. The settings is amazing as you are surrounded my the Alps.

Lake Orta (Italian: Lago d’Orta) is a lake in northern Italy, west of Lake Maggiore. It has been so named since the 16th century, but was previously called the Lago di San Giulio, after Saint Julius (4th century), the patron saint of the region. Its southern end is about 35 kilometres (22 miles) by rail, to the northwest of Novara on the main Turin-Milan line, while its north end is about 6 kilometres (4 miles) by rail south of the Gravellona-Toce railway station, halfway between Ornavasso and Omegna. Its scenery is characteristically Italian, while the San Giulio island has some very picturesque buildings, and takes its name from the local saint, who lived in the 4th century. Located around the lake are Orta San Giulio, built on a peninsula projecting from the east shore of the lake, Omegna at its northern extremity, Pettenasco to the east, and Pella to the west. It is supposed that the lake is the remnant of a much larger sheet of water by which originally the waters of the Toce flowed south towards Novara. As the glaciers retreated the waters flowing from them reduced, and were gradually diverted into Lake Maggiore. The inaugural European Rowing Championships were held on Lake Orta in 1893. A frequent ferry service connects towns and villages around the lake.

Water park with slides ranging from gentle toboggans to fast tubes with drops & hairpin bends.
Went there with our 2 daughters of 4 and 6 on a hot summer day. Really big. Good atmosphere. Disco at the pool was amazing. A lot of slides. We had an amazing day. Great place, very friendly staff, water, and all the areas were clean. We booked both the bus from Milan and the entrance tickets on the park website, and everything went swift and rapid. We left our belongings alone on the lawns most of the time, and nothing was missed. You can even stay on the grass under a tree or the many umbrellas available. There is a nice variety of slides for different age groups. All my family loved it.
Fiona Gauci — Google review
The slides are fun and many are accessible almost to anyone, albeit they require parents to sign a waiver for kids under a certain size. The slides with the donuts are a lot of fun, especially those above the 150 cm threshold where the waiver is not effective. The food is not bad but relatively expensive (we paid 30 EUR for 2 hot dogs, a chicken nuggets menu and 4 mediocre ice creams).
The structure is not particularly new and it may require some maintenance, but all in all a pleasant experience.
Nice outlet! Very nice environment, super clean area, all you need you’ll find there. The Armani Shop does not have the Giorgio Armani brand, only the cheaper lines of Emphorio Armani and Armani Exchange. Also the clothes choice from these two is very limited and prices are not attaractive at all. The Hugo Boss shop has a very limited choice of collar shirts, but at good price of 52 Euros. It also has a very limited choice of clothes with weird colors and many sizes missing. The Trosardy shop is only about casual. The nike shops had models that weren't at the Torino outlet village. Be aware: Your ferry ticket will not cover the palace and gardens. These cost an additional 13€ per person.
That said, the gardens make for a lovely walk, and the peacocks are a delightful addition. They're friendly enough to approach crowds (and we sat beside one as we enjoyed a drink at the cafe.)
The path is often steep however, and contains a large number of stairs, which might cause difficulties for some visitors.
Also, the palace is littered with crude waxworks dummies, which made it more like a House of Horrors than a museum.

Lancellotto Borromeo married the daughter of the Doge of Genoa, Luisa Adorno and purchased the island in 1501 from the church and introduced the cultivation of citrus fruit to the island, the plants being brought from Liguria, along with a gardener to tend them. Lancillotto began the construction of the family residence on the island, which in the 1580s was extended in the Renaissance style by Renato Borromeo.
Among their many visitors have been Napoleon Bonaparte, Gustave Flaubert, and Théophile Gautier.
To make the most our of your visit, I strongly recomend getting a private guide. We were blessed to have Sandra as our guide, she spoke english and italian. She was really amazing!

Worth the visit! We visited Palazzo Boromeo on our half-day tour of the Borromean islands. We bought a ferry ticket dockside in Stresa for 2 islands (Isola Madre and Isola Pescatore).
I really liked this palace for three reasons. 1) It felt lived in and loved by its inhabitants. There were tableaux with furnishings, paintings and statues of men and women dressed in typical aristocratic clothes of the day. It wasn't glamorous or gilded everywhere ~ that kind of opulence is what you'll find on Isola Bella, should you decide to go there.
2) There is an extensive puppet theatre exhibit in a wing of the palace. At least 6 rooms are devoted to the puppets, scenery and costumes from their theatrical productions. I felt this was truly unique and unexpected.
3) The magnificent Cypress from Kashmir. The tree was restored to standing after a struck down during a storm. Also, the botanical gardens are lovely, and the peacocks and pheasants who make their home on the grounds.
Drive-through animal park with elephants, tigers, lions with breeding program, plus family rides.
We had just the best experience!
Our visit was just a few days before the Easter holidays, so it felt as if the Safari and the attractions were just waiting for us. It was not crowded at all, just a few families.
The Safari is very nice, variety of animals, you can see them very very close at their actual size.
Very well maintained, clean and it seemed the animals are treated well.
The attraction park is also nice, not too big, just perfect for small kids (teenagers can have some fun too).

Nice safari with the car between the animals.
We went on Wednesday and Thursday. You could enter for free the 2nd time. It was very quiet.
The children aged 2 and 5 really enjoyed seeing the animals up close. And the water park was absolutely fantastic!
We didn't really go to the fair.
The park opens at 10:00 am, but not everything is open then, the shop and eateries open later.
We had 2 very nice days

Good place for the kids. The safari was a pleasant experience. Less crowded. Calm place. The restaurant food tasted really good. The quality of the food was too good for a park that has very minimal visitors.

The park js a lil old and not that spectacular. The only really good thing here is the safafi tour. I would recommend to do it with your own car. The park himself is a lil boring and its quiet expensive. If you are arround and bored you could go otherwise i would not suggest

Very beautiful safari park, this is our first one of this kind. Really loved the place, animals are calm and close to the car. Even our small son who is almost one year loved it. The price is about 25 euro per person. There is a good buffet inside walking area, a bit further in the center

I want to break this review for the Safari and the rest of the park.
The safety was actually very nice, but if you think about it, how do they make all this enigmas to stand in the exact same place as on the map?!
The rest of the park is lame! The food is gross and expensive. The show is a little Crawl for my taste.
The aquarium was to lame to talk about. I had a friend with better aquarium 🤦🏼.
I came with my kid end expected to be there fool day, finally we left after an hour.
My suggestion, just go to another place. 😒

Organized safari and around 1 hour from Milano. The cost of ticket for kids and adults are expensive for the little provided services. All interaction games are paid separately which cost 3 Euro per game for 6 games for 10 Euro

Fun trip with family.
Being so close to lion's and other animals was really exciting. But kids also loved the reptiles.
Could improve in terms of environmental education, as it doesn't make sense to have wild animals within enclosures if not for a greater good.
Food options available inside (but avoid the really dry lasagna).
Ladies restrooms only has on the ground toilets

The idea of this park is very good. Everbody can find something interesting. We have spend a wonderful day in this park with a lot of animals we cant find everyday in real. But... The attractions looked to be old, the drinks Pepsi/Beer we have received werent sparkling, the ice creams too sweet in comparison of the wonderful ones we can find in the other touristic places, some staff members seemed to be bored to work there, the swimming pool still under construction even promised for 2023

Comfortable for going from milan city, good choice for one day trip for family travel. I have been there at 2016, I think at that time we saw more animals than this time, but this time we watched great show and some free playground equipments. Hope all the animals will healthy.
Huge aviation museum featuring real planes, flight simulators & a playground, plus a fast-food cafe.
I saw many aviation museums, but I can say that Volandia is among the best ones. You can find it right next to Malpensa int. airport in Milan.
In museum you can see a huge number of scale models, large number of real military and some civil aircrafts (they are in outdoor display too), you can even see some old and new cars. They also have flight simulators, but during our visit weren't operating!?
Inspite that I am big fan of aviation I would like to point out the space section in this museum. Personally, it was my favourite! This is really a must see because of so many scale models, space suits, solar system moduls, there are even pieces of real meteorites on display.
They've really done a great job!
For children are outside and big indoor playground, you won't be thirsty or hungry either, because they took care of that too!
I highly recommend it!👌🏻

Wonderful idea turned to a concept museum for airplane lovers. Absolutely a must seen place for those who love travelling. Excellent choice for those that need to spend some hours waiting to get on their next flight from the Milano malpensa airport. Big variety of planes, engines, crafts, civil and military ones, flight simulators (not high tech) teaching cockpits, modelism and also concept future cars. I spent almost 3 hours to see everything. The staff really friendly and helpful. Too ad that it is a little "abandoned". Some cleaning and renovation could turn this rock to a diamond. Totally worth the ticket.

What a gem of a museum. Worth travelling 2500km for.
Everything was in superb condition and you can get close to the exhibits and in some cases inside.
Worth every star of the 5 I have given it.

How to walk from the main terminal to the museum: from the "Departures/Partenze" (upstairs) go to the right (NORTH) and at the end of the bridge turn right. At the gate telephone at the published number and somebody will come and open it. Do not walk around the museum perimeter because of construction works: it could become extremely complicated or even dangerous.

Fantastic museum, with lots of interesting things to see and do. Highly recommend it.

Outstanding Museum. I spent 6 hours at this museum this past weekend. It was wonderful.
Short walk from Milan Malpensa Airport. Right now, it is only open on Saturday’s and Sunday’s (Winter Schedule). There is a gate at the back and if you call the number, they will come open the gate helping to avoid a long walk around to the front entrance.
Fee to enter was 15 euros for adults. There is a cafe in the main building and a small fast food restaurant on the property that opens at noon.
The vast collection of aircraft and helicopters is amazing. I love the DC-3, MD-80, and DC-9 that is on the property. The DC-9 used to transport Pope John Paul II and once transported the World Cup winning Italian soccer team.
They also had a Bertone Collection of cars exhibition that was outstanding. Really interesting.
I loved my visit and highly recommend to all avgeeks and aviation enthusiasts.

Short walk from Malpensa. Just follow the sign to the museum from the terminal. Walk across the white bridge to the back of the museum. You can either walk along the fence to the front entrance, or call the number on the back gate and ask the staff to bring you in.

Sacro Monte di Varese is a historical complex from the 17th century that boasts multiple chapels filled with art and frescoes. The uphill walk to the top may be tiring, but it can be done at your own pace while stopping to rest, take photos, and enjoy the view. The small village at the top is charming with its alleys and stone walls, offering a wonderful panoramic view. There are also museums to visit and restaurants with reasonable prices.
Winding mountain road from Varese, beautiful. Once at the top, park on the street (paid) and set yourself loose to explore this historical UNESCO city. Be generous with alloted time, you will need a few hours to go around. Lot of up and down hill walking, bring comfortable shoes.

Beautiful place, nice walk, great view. It's a pity that we didn't really find a coffee or restaurant nearby the parking point (First Chapel).
I was happy that the church was open.
The statues inside the chapels are not easy to watch and there are no English texts.
N?ra T?gl?sy — Google review
Great walk uphill, I little tiring but you can definitely do it at your own pace, stopping at each point to rest, enjoy the view, take some photos and drink some water. But GO TO THE TOP. The small village at the top is the cutest with all the alleys and stone walls. Plus the view is just wonderful. I wasn't sooo lucky because there's a bit of fog, so I couldn't see as far, but it was definitely worth it. Might go back to visit the museums and try to get a clearer sky. Plus, the restaurants have really reasonable price (haven't tried any as I took my own lunch).
I'd say it takes at least 3 ro 4 hours to truly enjoy all that Sacro Monte offers, whitout the visit on the museums.

Great place to visit if you are around! The "Santuario di Santa Maria del Monte" church on top is a must see! The lack of parking spaces makes it a bit hard to visit. Also if you don't speak Italian it's quite a puzzle to figure out things. All in all; a great experience!

Great but hidden unesco site that you should visit when in the neighbourhood. It concerns an unpaved road up the mountain which can only be walked. Along this secret way 12 chapels have been build. Each differently and inside being decorated with historical carved statues. It is a nice walk up and very calm and relaxing environment. Parking is a bit problematic but we finally managed to find a place.
Ewald Van Der Helm — Google review
Magical place. Follow a cobblestone path along many chapels, in each a depiction of Biblical stories though statues and fresco's. Not all the lights work in the chapels, which makes some art hard to see properly, but it's worth the walk uphill and pressing your head against the glass - especially if you think of the fact that all of these chapels were made in the 1600s. On the top of the hill, you are greeted by the lovely and storylike village of Santa Maria del Monte. There are a few free parking places at the foot of the Sacro Monte di Varese, but parking is reasonably scarce. The walk or "hike light" uphill is not too steep and very doable for anyone with okay condition, but might be challenging for people who have trouble walking up more than two flights of steps. Definitely worth the visit!
Santa Maria del Monte is also a great place to start a hike through the national park from, if you want more of a challenge.

So worth the walk up hills. Very interesting and surprising. Be care if you want to go in Santa Maria del monte church as no short shorts or vest style tops. There is a gift shop up there too. The village is interesting and pretty

Great walk in the Varese neighbourhood with 14 chapels up to the 'Sacro Monte di Varese'.
It is a nice walk, that you can decide to take from the bottom to the top as a pilgrim for atonement. If you are less fit, you can decide to start the visit from the top and visit the chapels in the opposite order (if you came by car, a bus would bring you back to the top).
It is not easy to see the interior of each chapel, but you will see more clearly on your mobile phone screen, if you put your device on the window glass of each chapel. Definitely a beautiful walk and a moment to think immersed in a nice environment.
Andrea Larcan — Google review
Very beautiful panoramic view, the amaizing 14 architecture capellas related to Christian religion, with sculpture installations inside, you can even press the button and turn on the lights inside the installation!) There are also the restaurants on the top, so you can give yourself a reward for climbing on the hill)

Beautiful place for quiet reflection, and a peaceful walk.
Amazing view of the surrounding areas too.
Would make sure that you are surefooted, and probably not suited for a pram unless it’s a Thule buggy or similar as the cobblestones are quite large.
There is also limited parking facilities, so would suggest trying to visit at non peak times too.

We had the most amazing time visiting Sacro Monte. We were so fortunate to meet a guide who acted as a tour guide for us, his name was Vittorio Valenta. We asked if he had a map and he told us all about the churches and took us to a few. We would have viewed the chapels and enjoyed the experience. But Vittorio made the whole experience come alive with his knowledge and enthusiasm. We have a 12, 10 and 8 year old who hung on every word he said. We can’t thank him enough. We were hoping to say thank you on our way out but he was busy doing exactly the same for another family. Thank you Vittorio it was a highlight of our visit. Gina and Joe (Cardiff, Wales).

A must visit site if you find yourselves in the area. A beautiful settlement on top of a hill with a beautiful view of lake Varese and its surroundings.
There is a path you can follow to visit each chapel. There are also cafes and restaurants that you can visit to have a nice, drink or a meal while enjoying the view.
5 stars, Highly recommended!

Renaissance-era square with arcades, now home to bars, restaurants & shops, plus a cathedral facade.
Even when we visited Vigevano in one of late September afternoons the piazza was almost deserted. It seemd that people were still on holiday and most shops were closed. It had a very calm and peaceful vibes to the town. Had a quiet stroll around the Piazza and had snacks and coffee. We enjoyed the couple of hours we had there a lot.

Amazing square!
Built between 1492 and 1494 at the wishes of Ludovico il Moro, Piazza Ducale was one of the first models of a Renaissance square and is one of the best examples of XV century Lombard architecture. Work on building the square began in 1492 and lasted two years. In October 1494 the new square was there to welcome the visit of Charles VIII. Donato Bramante was undoubtedly present among those architects involved in the work at the Milan nobles’ court.
The Piazza was built to add lustre to the town as the preferred residence of the Duke. The antechamber to the entrance of the imposing Visconti-Sforza castle, it originally had a flight of stone steps permitting the triumphal entrance of the Dukes to the Castle residence.

James Tierney — Google review
A few years ago I read somewhere that this was one of the most beautiful squares in the world. The numerous photos by pros and tourists testify it. Being born in Piedmont, I used to visit this quaint town quite often, appreciating its medieval cobblestone alleys, to reach the piazza Ducale and enjoy an excellent ice cream. A lot has changed, nothing stays forever, but the square has maintained its grandeur. The historical shops have disappeared in favor of expensive eateries with rude and hasty service, aiming only at you spending $ on mediocre food and drinks. Head towards the hidden, narrow streets that surround it and you’ll find small pubs and food joints with courteous and amicable service and decent prices. By the way, DO visit the Sforza castle, it’s a true medieval gem with frescos, ancient and secret gardens and horse stables. It’ll satisfy your cravings for history and well kept ancient artifacts

I thought I already rated Foxtown before but Google keeps on reminding me, so here goes. It's one of my favourite outlets as most of the relevant brands are represented. The quality of the products is pretty good for an outlet and the management is up to speed with new brands here and there. Worth a visit.

This outlet is known because of good prices, but we when, and it was almost the same as the fashion malls, nothing special.. so if you gonna hit the road looking for great deals, this is not really good on deals. To walk around like any other mall is fine, the place is nice and clean.

The shopping center impressed me with its extensive selection of stores, offering a diverse range of options. However, the design and pathways between stores were confusing, making navigation a bit challenging. An amusing observation was that a significant number of workers did not speak German. Despite these quirks, it was a pleasant experience, earning it a solid 4-star rating.

I recently visited a mall in Switzerland and was impressed by the wide variety of brands available, offering something for everyone. The prices were quite reasonable, making it a great shopping destination. However, I found the design of the mall a bit inconvenient, with multiple floors and extensions that were not easy to navigate. Additionally, I would recommend paying in Swiss Francs as opposed to euros, as it can save you money due to the exchange rates.

The Alfa Romeo Museum in Milan is a must-visit for car enthusiasts. The museum showcases vintage and prototype vehicles, as well as a 4D film, taking visitors on an exciting journey through the history of the iconic brand. The exhibition highlights the innovative spirit of Alfa Romeo and its stunning stylistic designs that leave visitors mesmerized. Even non-Alfa fans will appreciate this experience and may even leave wanting to own one of these cars.
We had great time with our kids (8 and 5 yo). Very clean, even shining clean. Every car has its history which is very interesting. You can look, but cannot touch the cars. The souvenir shop at the end of the tour has small car models you can buy.

Nice place but to hyped. I’ve been in couple car museums but this one was the worst from the all. I expect more than all we saw inside. There is lack of new models but also a lot of old ones are missing :( I won’t go back again. Also bus communication how to get there is a bad joke, if you don’t have car you have to put a lot of effort to get there.

The only reason I’m not giving this 5/5 is because it’s not an easy place to get to. We didn’t take a car, so it was difficult to get to by trains and buses. But once we did it was great. Was there right before the Monza Formula 1 Grand Prix, so was able to see the special livery F1 car too. Also value for money was amazing. 12 euro tickets was very cheap compared to similar museums. Definitely recommend, but take a car 🤪

If you came from the rail station it s difficult to buy bus tickets.
I recommend coming buy car if you can, or the bus that comes form Milano central station to the “Centro commerciale II Centro” (near the museum) and back. Google maps shows it, but not the route it takes. Can buy tickets form the bus driver.

Wonderful museum for Alfisti and car lovers alike. The building alsmost looks like an ordinary office at the outside but very well designed on the inside. Almost al cars can be seen from very up close.
Visit the Alfa Romeo Caffè for an espresso after your tour and check out the shop!
When you’re not in Milan with your own car, I recommend taking the dedicated shuttle bus from Milan Central to the Il Centro mall so you can combine both visits on the go (€5,- per person for a return ticket).

Museum is fantastic. A lot of astonishing cars and other items. They are well exposed. Worth the price. Nice official store inside. Bad things: Not quite professional service in the museum cafe. Transport: Good by car. But if You arrive by city communication (buses) watch out for (unmarked) controls! It is Italy, you can't buy tickets for local buses anywhere, (Milan tickets are not valid) but of course controllers prey on tourists and give mandates. Yours economy is based on tourism, so think about it better.

The collection is very complete, with exhibition in the museum highlighting important parts of Alfa Romeo's history, yet displaying them all in individual spotlights.
The Storage Room tour is an infinite addition to the visit, as you can see in-person, many pieces of the Alfa Romeo history, that one might have assumed that would be destroyed, if that's from another manufacturer.
The cafe is a good place to have a stop, lunch or a coffee, with a nice view and some surprises of exhibits lying around.
*Shout-out to Francesca, as the guided tour to the storage room collection is the best of the motor-valley journey, know the cars very well in the brand's historical background and details! Definitely top-notch quality, especially for a first-time English tour!

Obviously the cars are the main attraction, but the museum is well designed and laid out in a way that there's always something interesting round the corner. Cars are displayed in context and there's lots of space to see them from every angle. The museum charts the history of Alfa Romeo so there's aero engines, marine engines, saloon, sports and racing cars as well as various concepts.
We spent a good couple of hours there, all in.

Super museum, must visit for car enthusiasts and casual fans. Visited with 2 young kids, and they loved it! Very spacious, divided into different levels and different themes, 100+ cars from early models to prototypes to supercars to regular modern ones. There's also a nice cafe/lunch place onsite, and a well stocked souvenirs shop.

a wonderful museum, but there were problems with public transport on a holiday, it is very difficult to get there from Milan and back, it is better to go by car or taxi!
Il Centro is a large shopping mall with over 200 shops, featuring both Italian and international brands. The food court offers a variety of dining options. While the mall can get crowded on weekends, it provides convenient bus service from Centrale Station for visitors. Additionally, the nearby Alfa Romeo museum is worth a visit. The second floor houses numerous shops and dining areas, including facilities for families with young children.
Great place to spend time: either shopping or just hanging around walking through the store.

This shopping centre is impressively massive. There are hundreds of stores and dining options. Despite its size, the cleanliness level is good. Parking area well maintained and provided with several signs to conveniently reach your store destination. For further info on stores and public transportation I would suggest to visit the official website.

For one who likes shopping, has great many options to see, eat and buy. For one to spend time with wifi, excellent place to visit. Had a nice 22kw electric charger among other charging points for cars.

I visited il centro during the weekend. They have a lot of different brands and shops under one roof. Also the food court has sufficient numbers of restaurants. Though I feel it gets over crowded.
The bus service is really good to il centro and starts from centrale station. The ticket for the bus to and fro is just 5euro. Also you can visit the alfa Romeo museum which is nearby. The only issue is that buses aren't frequent enough so you have to plan and get back to the bus stop within time. Otherwise if you have your own vehicle then it's the perfect place to chill and shop on weekends.

Nice place for shopping. Just 30 minutes drive from Milano Centrale. A direct bus service also available to reach there. Just recheck your suitable time before go by bus. As it is operated at an hour interval. The bus ticket is just 5 Euro per person for to and fro journey.

Huge place! There is absolutely everything you might ever need to shop. You can lose multiple days in there. Giving it 3 stars, because the only place that it actually makes sense for the staff to speak English, is the information desk... Unfortunately they do not. Otherwise - 5 stars
Note: There are no ticket machines in the area. You can use the mobile app to purchase one

You can get everything in one place, good shopping mall and it even has food corner.

Crowded, impossible to find a car park if you get you timing wrong, loud… still the best shopping centre ever! Everything you might need is here, just one stop place!
All the shops, all the brands, all the choice!
Can’t give 5 stars, since there is no perfection in such a massive system and organisation, still a well deserved score.

One of a big mall in Italy. Many different kinds of store, shopping districts. Super markets, and food store.

Nice mall with lots of shops and resto and fast food areas up on the 2nd floor. Bathrooms are clean and accessible for families with little kids, they also provide microwaves in the nurseries so you can easily heat up your babies foods or plug in your baby heating bottles. During weekends the store is packed with people so I advise you to go during weekdays.

I visited shop yesterday. We had horrible experience. We left our car on car park which supposed to be safe place (video cameras everywhere). We came back to our car and 4 windows has been shattered!!! We went to “info point” to notify about situation and there were 5 people waiting with exactly same problem. Nobody felt responsible to help us get safe to home (I was with 2 children age 2 and 3 with no car seats as there were covered with glass), nobody warned other customers to go and check their cars as there is vandalism happening few meters away from entrance. I don’t understand how that kind of situations can take place and the only answer you can get is “call carabinieri”.
If you know that this happening on your ground you should try to prevent it in the future by looking in cameras rather that push responsibility elsewhere

Cool Mall... lots of trendy stores.
The food court is a mess. Not enough seating for the amount of restaurants there are.

It's the biggest shopping center I have been in here in Milan, they have a wide array of brands to choose from, and their food court offers a lot of choices whether it be Italian or foreign cuisine. They also have a spacious parking area which I like.

I liked the design of the mall, the exterior and interior design, awesome artistic creativity, there are a large number of children's stores, and they have many options for men and women, I liked the various coffee shops, the mall has a very comfortable design for walking and has positive energy, highly recommended, also the toilet are very clean.
