Karersee is a small but stunning alpine lake in the Dolomites. The view from all angles is beautiful and there are many panoramic trails to explore. Although it is not permitted to go into the lake, you can take a nice stroll around its perimeter. This picturesque spot was covered with snow during our visit, giving it an extra wintery charm!
The lake has great view and you can go around it In a circular route. Was A little bit too crowded

Visited in early April, it was a beautiful sunny day. Although the lake was still quite frozen, the trails around were walkable.

Amazing place! Pictures cant describe how colorfull it is. Definitely worth visiting.
Large parking (2€ /hour). There is also a snack bar and toilets.
Around the lake, there is a good walking path with some benches (though, usually occupied with people just enjoying in the sun and view).

We came across the lake completely by chance. We were surprised how beautiful it is. After a long journey, you can walk around it since it is quite small. There is no entrance fee to the lake, but there is a charge for car parking.

I went on a rainy day and was worried that I wouldn't be able to see much but it was worth it anyway. The Autumn colours in late October were stunning. It is easily accessible and you can take a nice walk around the lake.

Tranquil crystal clear turquoise water with the reflection of the surrounding Dolomite mountain ranges sums up the Beuty of this place. This lake is very close to Bolzano. Parking is nearby and the lake is small. On a clear day in summer water is turquoise as you see in my pics.
Note: if you are driving here, keep in mind, the road has speed cameras at every corner so be extra careful. I will definitely suggest to come early before 7 am to enjoy the serenity and the tranquility of this place.
Koel Ganguly — Google review
A very famous spot that you can easily Google the history. It's simply stunning from all angles and you have to stop here if you are in the general area. Large car park which isn't too expensive and several cafés are available adjoining the car park.
A tunnel takes you under the main road and directly to the lake where your mind will explode when you see the views. It's almost unreal and you can't capture it in your brain sufficiently:)

What a lovely place.went here for Christmas market on the way to Bolzano. The views were breathtaking. Completely covered in snow and the lake was frozen. There were little Christmas market along the lake serving hot wine and food. There was a big paid parking as well next to the lake. Overall a must visit if you are travelling through this place or if you are around.
Uday Kiran — Google review
I was there in March. The lake was frozen but the scenary was stunning! If you come in winter be careful as at some points it is very icy. There is a parking but except for this you can find only a clothes shop. It would be better if you could have a coffee or a snack.

Almost dried out. Global warming is a reality also in the Dolomiti. Don't trust Instagram mind-blowing pictures. They must have been taken a long time ago and edited. Moreover, the forest around the lake has been cut down. Human being negative impact at his best.

Amazing views of the surrounding area of Bolzano from the gondola ride. It takes 12 minutes to reach the top. Once in Soprabolzano take the train over to Collalbo, it takes about 30 minutes and the scenery is amazing.

Not a bad place to visit, there is nothing much to see except some good views the only good part is if you are using cable car must check before going there If cable car is working or not
Mohsin Ali Shaikh — Google review
Funivia del Renon offers an extraordinary Alpine journey that immerses you in the beauty and tranquility of the Renon Plateau. As the cable car effortlessly ascends, you're transported to a realm of panoramic vistas, picturesque villages, and a sense of serenity that's unparalleled.
From the moment I stepped into the cable car, I was captivated by the ever-expanding views of the surrounding Dolomites. The journey itself felt like a meditative experience, as I watched the world below transform into a patchwork of forests, meadows, and charming hamlets.
Arriving at the Renon Plateau, I was greeted by a landscape that exudes a timeless charm. The simplicity of life in the Alpine villages, combined with the natural beauty that surrounds them, created a harmonious atmosphere that allowed me to escape the pressures of modern life.
Exploring the Renon Plateau was a delight for the senses. The hiking trails, each offering a unique perspective on the landscape, allowed me to connect with nature on a profound level. The scent of pine trees, the rustling of leaves in the breeze, and the distant sound of cowbells created a sensory symphony that felt like a gentle embrace.
The Renon Plateau is also home to the famous Renon Railway, a nostalgic journey that offers a glimpse into the past. Riding the vintage-style train through rolling hills and verdant valleys was a nostalgic experience that harkened back to a simpler era of travel.
The culinary offerings at Funivia del Renon are a celebration of local flavors. Indulging in traditional South Tyrolean dishes while surrounded by breathtaking scenery was a treat for both the palate and the soul. It's a reminder that the joy of travel is as much about savoring moments as it is about discovering new places.
Funivia del Renon is a gateway to a world where time seems to stand still and the beauty of nature takes center stage. Whether you're seeking an escape into the mountains, a chance to reconnect with nature, or simply a moment of tranquility, this Alpine retreat offers an experience that rejuvenates the spirit and creates cherished memories.

Twenty minutes ride with great views. Bolzano station is about 0.5 km walk to the old town. Soprabolzano is a cute little hilltop hotel area. Great option for dinner for the views, or for accommodation instead of Bolzano.

Gorgeous views of Bolzano. Seems too easy to get to this place considering how high up the mountain and beautiful it is!

We could have gone by car to Soprabolzano but we decided to travel with funivia del Renon instead. The step in point is Bolzano is very close to the Bolzano trainstation. Tickets are not to expensive and the wait was non existent. The carriages are big and light. The ride up to Soprabolzano gives you an amazing view of Bolzano
Anja Van De Gronde — Google review
Cable car was well worth the 10€. Spectacular views, and I would also recommend the train ride for an additional 5€. You can get off and look around, or walk to the next spot along a well maintained walking trail.

The South Tyrol Archeological Museum houses a well-organized exhibit featuring the preserved remains of a Neolithic man. The museum is spread across three floors dedicated entirely to showcasing Otzi and includes a fourth floor for rotating exhibits. Visitors can make use of an audio app available for a small fee that enhances their experience and allows them to navigate the displays at their own pace.
Small but well organized museum. I’d recommend getting the museum audio app for your phone. It’s only $1 and helps to bring the displays to life, plus it allows you to go at your own pace. The first 3 floors are all for Ötzi and the fourth is what I assume to be a rotating exhibit. I didn’t reserve a ticket and had no problems with crowds, but I did go midday on a Tuesday. Bag storage is available too since you can’t bring large bags into the exhibit area.

An intriguing story of the ice man. It's a pity that everything revolves around one person and the discovery of the skeleton. I believe that the whole building and the story could be enriched with a broader horizon regarding how people lived at that time, what they did, what animals they encountered in their lives, and how they spent their spare time. And the exhibition on the top floor, organized somewhat forcefully, has little to do with the Ice Man. And definitely too few multimedia elements. Today, it's all about videos, and just talking heads in them don't solve the problem anymore! 🤷🏾♂️
A. Dream — Google review
This museum is really well-organized and utilizes multimedia to make the topic more interesting for the visitors. Make sure you reserve tickets in advance online to save time waiting in line. The lounge at the top floor is also worth a visit, especially for families with kids.

Interesting and unique museum dedicated to Otzi and related information. We'll worth the visit especially if you have the Bolzano card.

This is my second visit here and it is simply great, great value for money and a very well laid out museum. I took my Mum and step father this time and they loved it. I would definitely visit again, I learn something new each time!
Edgy — Google review
One of the most unique museums I have ever seen. Worth an extra effort to get here. The whole story of how it is believed Otzi lived and died, how his body survived 10K years under a glacier, how he was found and the details of his life/death are extraordinary. Spent several hours going through the exhibits and a couple more strolling the town center.

It was great! Seeing Ötzi was super cool and we didn't have to wait long either. It was fascinating seeing and reading about old techniques that were used on his tools and to see how trade was already well established thousands of years ago. 100% recognized going! They also have a lot of fun stuff in the shop :D

Famous Otzi museum where you can get all the info about the discovery of Otzi, his lifestyle and even see the frozen mummy. Suggested spot to spend an hour or so. Family entrance tickets available (e.g. 26 eur for 2+2).
Boris Susmak — Google review
Very interesting museum, definitely recommend it.
All information is given in German, Italian and English. There is items, texts, films, touch screens and, of course, the mummy.
There is lockers you are asked to put your things into and these can be used with 1€ or 2€ coins.
We got here at 9:45am, it opened at 10:00am and it took us just over 2h to visit the entire thing while reading all texts and taking it slow. When we left, there was a huge queue for entering, so be there early or reserve your tickets, we didn't do this as we came by spontaneously.
Anna KM — Google review
Pro: Very very cool to see Ötzi the ice man. It is amazing how well preserved his body, clothing, and some personal items were. The line to see the actual body moved pretty well.
Con: you can't take pictures of the whole museum. There isn't really much else in this museum (the other exhibit was small and lack lust). Couldn't take my small backpack in, although I seen women with purses large than my bag inside. Paid for parking nearby.
Toni Sterling — Google review
Nice museum where you get to learn about Otzi the iceman (Europe's oldest known natural human mummy) and what was life like in the area over 5000 years ago. The personal belongings ground along him give precious details about the skillsets and life style then with carefully sawn garments and shoes.
Emma — Google review
Amazing expo. We had to wait about 10 minutes in line to get in because we did not have a reservation. Buy an app for 2€ instead of renting an audio guide. The app has not only audio, but also pictures and you get to keep it after the visit. Take your headphones with you for the more comfortable experience. There is a special app for kids 6-10 years old that is free. The QR codes to download both apps can be found either on the website, or right in the cash desk area.
Eugene Bogatyriov — Google review
Otzi is a fantastic exhibit for all ages. A must see - you will learn a lot.
Every display is supported in 3 languages. The story unfolds as a journey from his discovery, his retrieval and preservation, through to understanding his lifetime.
The technology he used was astounding.
This is the best museum I’ve visited in Italy - highly recommended to everyone.
Thank you South Tyrol!

Went to this museum while in Bolzano to see Otzi, the iceman. It was interesting to see the artefacts of that period . Almost missed to see Otzi as he lay in his cubicle which is behind a wall and not well sign posted. There is a glass window through which you see his mummified body. It's remarkable to see this skeleton in its entirety knowing how old it is. Not allowed to take photos in the museum.

Very cool and interesting to see. This was a great stop and we’ll worth the few euros. Learned a lot about early life and how hard it was to survive

It was fascinating seeing and learning all about Ötzi the Ice Man! The museum is very well organized and contains lots of information about him and the period he lived at. If you got the Bolzano card you can use it to enter for free. One downside: The audio explanations app costs $2, which is something you would expect the entrance fee to cover
The Asiago Sacrario war memorial stands atop a hill and features cannons, panoramic views, a crypt, chapel, and exhibits highlighting historic events. This monument serves as an impressive tribute to veterans of World War I. The museum showcases various memorabilia from the unit and era, making it a must-see for history enthusiasts. The sheer size of this memorial is overwhelming; its significance can be felt through its remarkable architecture and displays.
We are currently world schooling to learn about WWI. This place had many artifacts on display, it explained movement, terrain and logistics and at the end you can honor those that fell when the battle came to them. It was interesting that so many siblings fought in this battle, many to save their city.
The views are outstanding. This memorial/monument was well thought out. A look at the town shows the influence on architecture from the war. This place was awesome.

Beautiful monument commemorating the enormous sacrifice of human life in the Altopiano. This monument, as well as the memorials in all of the Altopiano Village centers can only bring on to the conclusion that the price paid in this region for the sake of global warfare should earn the Alps and Italia a pass the next time humanity trust to destroy itself with world wars. My only criticism of the experience is the fact that it is closed in the afternoon for riposo... But that is all of Italia! 🇮🇹✌️⛰️🏔️🏚️⚔️🌎💥

Beautiful building and amazing to see so many names of soldiers. The magnitude really makes you appreciate the number of victims.
Despite this the opening times are ridiculous and the guards beyond rude. Despite saying the building closes at 17.00 we were rudely ushered out at 16.45 but in an over the top and aggressive manner. With unemployment levels being so high in Italy perhaps jobs should be given to younger more enthusiastic people who could share and talk to visitors. The guard ruined the visit for my family.

What a great Veterans Memorial. Very interesting museum with memorabilia of the unit and time period. As a history buff, I thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated coming here and experiencing this. The view of the town once you are at the memorial is also an added bonus. Beautiful!
Trauttmansdorff Castle boasts a tourism museum and is surrounded by sprawling botanical gardens offering striking mountain views. A visit to the castle museum can be a relaxing end to a seven-hour tour of the gardens, which are well worth the time. Although the restaurant experience was not ideal due to slow service and forgetful staff, this was the only negative aspect of an otherwise beautiful location.
Wow WHAT A PLACE, had a great time. Been there for 4,5 hour ( it was a hot day 33 degrees )
The only thing I’m mad off is that I climbed all the way to the birds and when i was finally all the way up it was closed for technical reason grrrr why could anyone tell me that at the entrance. Not cool!
But further it was a beautiful spot!

The most beautiful botanical gardens that I've ever seen in my life. We spent almost 4.5 hours admiring it. My kids were thrilled since there are a lot of interesting things there for kids alongside the gardens.
I strongly recommend visiting there, just make sure you have extra time.
There is also a tourist museum there (inside the castle), unfortunately due to a lack of time and a wonderful weather,we prefer to visit the gardens and not visit the museum.

Exceptionally beautiful botanic garden with a huge variety of plants and stunning views off the viewing platforms higher up on the hill. The different routes through the park are thematically arranged and guide you through the entire park. If you want to see everything, 3-3,5 hours should be sufficient if you walk at an average speed. There's multiple play areas and opportunities for interaction for children to make it more interesting for them. The restaurant is at an average price, the quality of the food we got there was however very good, and it was deliverd to the table rather quickly. Would definitely recommend this to everyone good by foot!

This place is so awesome I don't even want to write a review about it, it might make it busier in this era of overtourism.
But anyway: this garden is too beautiful to be true: the location in the Alps, the hilly terrain of the park, and the variety of plants and flowers and artwork. Usually it's sunny here which really helps.
We were here in late October which was perfect.
Walking around is not really doable for people who don't walk well.
Parking is easy, there's also a bus to the station and it's an easy detour from the Brenner tollway.
Michael Blok — Google review
In the castle there is a museum and left thst for the end of our tour there, to chill after we took 7 hours to visit the Botanical garden, and it's worth each minute. Restaurant experience want so great as we waited 15 minutes to just be served, even though others around us were served, they forgot to bring the water we ordered, got salads without the cutlery, and when we told we didn't get the water we ordered, we were charged another one on our tab. We sorted it our later but that experience is the only bad thing we had there.

Just great.
Nice to walk around to enjoy the flowers and trees but also the waterfall and ponds, terraces, and viewpoints above the valley.
Also an aviary and some mountain goats and green house with unique species.
Lovely and recommended to the whole family.

After reading so many glowing reviews of this place, we decided to check it out. The gardens are enormous and can be steep at times, so be prepared for a workout if you want to see some of the upper attractions like the lovers garden and the aviary which I thought were both worth the climb.
I’d recommend giving yourself at least 4 hours to see everything. We spent 3 hours here and weren’t able to see everything.

Fabulous gardens - also good cafe by lake and a good but v busy restaurant by the castle. Nice to see statues to Sissi in the grounds

Absolutely AMAZING place! Beautiful gardens, loads to see and explore. When I was reading the reviews, some people were saying that you could easily spend a whole day there - I was a bit sceptical. But actually, you could! We spent about 3-4 hours there! There are some spots for picnic too. There are also few restaurants to grab some food / drinks / gelato. Would deffo recommend!
Anna — Google review
This was our second visit, this time during the day - our previous visit was during the late opening one evening in the summer. The gardens are stunning, plenty of flowers and scents in early May. We were there 4h30m and didn't see everything, nor did we visit the museum. This is a place you can visit time and time again, but be aware that there aren't many places to shelter when/if it rains.
Finally, don't visit in good weather at the weekend if you are travelling by car, the parking was full! Public transport is a better option.

Art-filled medieval shrine on a rocky spur, accessible via a steep path in a 19th-century aqueduct.
Lovely monastery with lots of stairs... if you have a hard time with stairs, don’t even go through the door. It’s a religious place, where people come to pray, so you must be considerate when talking. It’s built on a rock and the view from the top floor is quite impressive, especially from the pointy balcony; watch your kids here.
The food at the cafe is not bad and it’s reasonably priced.

This sanctuary is built on the top of the 70m high rock. The surrounding mountains and forests create a very beautiful scenery. There are several churches and chapels in the sanctuary, the oldest was built in the 11th century. The entrance is free, there’s a cafe and a souvenir shop. You can take a walk from Sanzeno to the sanctuary and then continue the hike to Coredo and Tavon lakes and nearby towns.

We hiked here from San Zeno along the path carved out of the mountainside (watch your head!).
There are some short climbs, but it’s doable in less than an hour each way and the vistas over the valley are beautiful. There are some spots where you do need to pay attention, but it’s fairly well marked. While you’ll see fully kitted out hikers, there are also plenty of families and elderly people just taking a walk with regular clothes and shoes.
The sanctuary is very peaceful and their resident bear even came out to greet us.
Michelle Branco — Google review
You cannot access the sanctuary with a car during summer months but there is a shuttle bus to and from it (from Sanzeno), costing 2 EUR one way or 3 EUR both directions. You could also park your car at Museo Retico (paying parking lot) and go on foot which is more than worth it. The path is not too challenging and it takes less than an hour. We went to the sanctuary on foot and took the bus back. The sanctuary itself is worth the visit but there's not much to do more than 30 minutes or so...

Incredible shrine sitting on top of the hill. The shrine hosts a lovely bear which has become an attraction per se.
The car entrance is in Sanzeno, while the shrine is accessible by several walks.
One of the walk starts from Coredo, providing a majestic park close to an artificial lake.
From there the shrine is reachable by foot in 1h (2/3)km. The path is a bit steep at some point.

Dating back to the 13th century and having undergone significant renovations in the 1500s, this medieval hilltop fortress offers guided tours for visitors to explore its rich history. Once home to the Thun family until 1992, it is now part of the Castello del Buonconsiglio Museum System.
Nice castle with museum inside, it was quite cold inside, but very few visitors during off season

Awesome castle built high up on the ridge providing panoramic views of the valley below. Interior is furnished with gorgeous empire style furniture. Worth the time to travel there. Bring some vino and food as it is a good place to picnic afterwards.

Beautiful place! I was not convinced by the castle seen from the outside, but the internals are absolutely beautiful!

Been there in February 2020. Amazing place, in a stunning location. The castle itself is perfectly maintained and the guided tour is very interesting. The audio guide is recommended but not mandatory: there is a lot to see and to learn, since the place has a very rich and long history. Nice and friendly personnel. Only one remark: if you go during winter or in the beginning of spring, be sure to wear a jacket, as in the rooms it gets really cold. Anyway, definitely recommended.

The castle - amazing.
The people who work there are so happy to inform and help you.
Especially Marco in the Library who made great effort to explain in English, in length, about the history of the library and the region in general.
if you remain in the region for more than a day you should probably get something they called a “Trentino card” which will also be useful in Trento, for more guides and attraction of this kind.

Castel Thun, located in Vigo di Ton in the Val di Non region of the province of Trentino, is a breathtaking Gothic-style castle. Built in the 13th century, the Castle has undergone several restorations and transformations, most of which were done in the1500s. The Thun family inhabited the castle until 1992, when it was acquired by the Autonomous Province of Trento. Thun Castle is part of the Castello del Buonconsiglio Museum (based in Trentino) System. Amy Guides™ has a full article and several more photos of the castle to help you fully plan your visit. Enjoy one of the finest collections of artifacts in Italy at Thun Castle!
Buonconsiglio Castle Museum is a significant and impressive landmark in Trento. The complex comprises of a Renaissance palace, an art gallery with a wide range of exhibits, and the original 13th-century castle known as Castelvecchio. The edifice is heavily fortified, having been the residence of Trento's bishop-princes until Napoleon's arrival in 1801.
A gem of a museum with a lot to see. The complex is huge, and you can easily spend hours wandering through a multitude of rooms full of exhibits. This is a must-visit place in Trento.

Amazing piece of history. The design of the self-guided tour is pretty great. Only note, not a kid friendly design, more a museum than a castle tour. Save money with kids and just enjoy the exterior gardens.

Nice castle to visit, also if you don't want to go inside and only look at the outside (that is what we did). It has a nice garden with it to have a walk and make some pictures. I really liked it

The Buonconsiglio castle museum is well worth a visit. Pay the extra fee to visit the tower where there’s a beautiful old fresco, which documents, month by month, the lives of the people of the region. It’s a shame the room of mirrors is obscured by signs and panels. It would be much better appreciated without all the displays cluttering the space. Less can be more.

This is definitely the biggest attraction in Trento, therefore expect some waiting times now due to covid and the number of people that can be allowed in at one time. It's 10 eur per person to enter. Can spend about 2 hours if thoroughly looking at all of the exhibitions. Displays are various artworks and artifacts from Roman period to more present. One of the highlights are the rooms themselves, which are ornately decorated. The gardens are free to walk around. The tower affords nice views but we didn't go because too busy. Highly recommend.

A historical monument that is absolutely worth visiting if you happen to be in the city. The Castle is in fact very beautiful both externally and internally. The entrance fee may seem expensive, but believe me it is absolutely worth it. You might perhaps find a bit of a queue, but that's not so long, so I don't think it's necessary to buy tickets in advance. The museum also offers truly perfect toilets and also a very nice bar with prices in line with the other bars in the city.

A fantastic museum with many exquisite items and artifacts on display. It very nicely covers the vast history of Trento and the local area from as early as the Cooper Age to XX century. A separate gem is a tour to Torre d'Auila, where we can enjoy amazingly renovated fresc from medival Times of Prince Bishops of Trento. Absolutely recommend.
Wojtek Hellwing — Google review
The tower has a lot of exhibits, many of which have descriptions in English. The tour of the tower was a slightly frustrating. It’s beautiful but unfortunately you can’t do it at your own pace. You have to view it in groups and listen to very long and earnest audio descriptions on your audio guide at each stage before you can move on to the next one. Still worth a visit though.

A splendid castle located in the heart of Trentino. What I love about the museum is that the facilities are neat and well mantained, and there are many arrow signs that guide you throughout the visit. They're totally helpful in preventing me from getting lost. The entrance is free for every first Sunday of the month. A greenpass is required and you have to check it at the northest gate in order to get an entrance ticket. Suitable for families with kids and a perfect place to date if you're into history and stuff, but I don't quite recommend it for elderly, since there will be many stairs inside of it. But anyways, definitely worth a visit!

Visited the Castle Museum during the First Sunday of the Month offer (free entry). Loved the experience!! A nice video showing the history of Trento and the region it was displayed on a large screen on one of the halls. The back yard it was also impressive. A place to visit while in Trento definitely!

Památný hrad s krásným výhledem na město.//A memorable castle with a beautiful view of the city, a remarkable chapel with frescoes of 12 months. The Torre Aquila is the highlight of the Buonconsiglio Castle. The frescoes display an accurate portrayal of the middle ages economic, political, and social life of peasants and nobles through a typical year.

Edited-apparently my first review wasn't posted because Google Maps is censoring art.
Buonconsiglio Castle Museum is a must-visit for anyone interested in history, art, or architecture. The castle has been built and expanded over the centuries, and its different sections reflect the different architectural styles of the time. The museum houses a collection of paintings, sculptures, and artifacts from the Middle Ages to the present day, as well as a library and an archive. The castle also has a beautiful garden and a terrace with stunning views of the city of Trento.
I visited the Buonconsiglio Castle Museum on a recent trip to Italy, and I was really impressed. The castle is incredibly well-preserved, and the exhibits are well-curated. I especially enjoyed the Cycle of Months frescoes in the Eagle Tower, which depict scenes of court life and peasantry in the Middle Ages.
If you're looking for a fascinating and educational day out, I highly recommend visiting the Buonconsiglio Castle Museum.
Here are some additional details:
The castle is located in the heart of Trento, and it is easily accessible by public transportation.
The museum is open from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm, and the last admission is at 6:00 pm.
The entrance fee is €10 for adults, €8 for seniors and students, and €6 for children.
There are audio guides available in English, Italian, German, French, and Spanish.
The museum is wheelchair accessible.
I hope this helps!

This place was incredible. The first castle I have ever visited. Now, I have to go see more of them. The history, the walls, columns and ceilings; it was all incredible. We took the tower tour, with audio. Wow, fascinating. The frescos of the seasons in the 2nd tower. Holy cow. What a sight.
Piazza del Duomo is the vibrant town square at the heart of Trento, surrounded by charming medieval structures. It's a must-visit for anyone looking to immerse themselves in local history and architecture. The square's focal point is the magnificent Trento Cathedral, while its center features an elaborate fountain dedicated to Neptune, adding to the area's allure.

MUSE is a beautiful and interesting science museum with many high-tech, hands-on exhibits. It is located in the heart of one of Europe's most vibrant cities and is always busy with visitors.
We chose this option because weather was really bad and we could not ski. We were very surprised how amazing this place is. There are several floors of educative fun and whole familly including the 5 y old really enjoyed the stay. It is amazing how is the place interactive and very well managed. Something what is really extraordinary is the butterfly jungle and we were lucky enough to see the unwrapping baby butterflies which I have not seen before :). I highly recommend even for full price but if you have the guestcard from your hotel, don't forget to take it as you will receive great discount on your ticket, we paid only 21 Eur for 3 adults and kid.

I think it is probably the only aesthetically modern museum in Trento, even though if you visit Rovereto, you will find a modern art museum called MART. But now lets focus on this first. I like how everything looks neat regardless of the fact that it is not optimally organized. I don't get why the order of theme for each floor is quite absurd and hard to follow. Other than that, I really like the ambiance and lighting. The staff are quite helpful and nice to talk to. And I really hope that they provide a prayer room for Muslim because it would be very pleasing and convenient. Overall, I def recommend it 👌👌

It's the main scientific museum of the city of Trento, and has a meticulously curated permanent exhibition on subjects ranging from evolution, genetics, geography, climate change, mineralogy, etc. and significant amount of these can be interacted with as experiments or demonstrations. There are also many interesting events and temporary exhibitions. The only downside to the whole experience is that a single ticket only permits one to visit it for three hours, which is nowhere near enough time to see everything carefully.

Really outstanding, hidden gem of a castle, located about 20 minutes from Verona. The town of Soave is enclosed by old walls, whereas the castle is up on the hill. You can either drive or walk to the castle. There is free parking at the top. Castle closed midday and closes early in evening. It's 7eur to enter and highly worth it with amazing views of the town and vineyards, and alps in the distance. We spent about 45 minutes here. Can also climb the tower for superb views. A great little castle. Worth the trip to the top to get a view of the city and the surrounding landscape covered in vineyards. The amount of recorded history behind this castle is impressive. Only dislikes was that there is no pictures allowed inside the small renovated interior portion. This is fairly typical though of European castles and churches. There is a bathroom inside the castle grounds but it's not marked. Stop by when in the area. You won't be disappointed!

Beautiful Medieval castle, that protected the older part of Soave.
The castle has been restored and it is a private property.
It is possible to visit it and there's a ticket to pay.
Inside what was the lodging of the commander of the castle, you'll find a guide that provides interesting information about the castle, the Della Scala family (The noble family who used to own this castle) and what was like living in a defensive Medieval castle.
Climbing up some stairs it is possible have a walk along a portion of the defensive walls walk-ways.
Behind the castle there's a small car park. It is for free.

The museum Juliet's House is dedicated to the story of Shakespeare's play Romeo and Juliet, which is said to have been inspired by a true story from Verona during the 1300s. The house where the story took place can now be visited, and visitors are able to see a stone balcony that is said to have inspired Shakespeare.
The house is bigger than expected but the famous balcony is really small. You have to buy tickets online, otherwise they won't let you in. The house itself is cute and has a few old things like the clothes of romeo and juliet and some paintings in it

We traveled via train to Verona and had to stop by Juliet’s house. Due to COVID, you must show your green pass or vaccination card at the entrance. There is no fee to go in to the courtyard but there is a fee to see the museum. I thought it was cool but not worth going into the museum. Just personal preference! It’s definitely touristy but if you’re in Verona, you may as well stop by!
Eve — Google review
Romantic place turned into a touristic nightmare. The balcony and the place are awesome; but the crowd and people gathered in such a small square just makes the experience unpleasant. Yes, it's romantic, yes it's full of historical background and emotions; but most of the people visiting the place only think about one thing - take a picture of Juliette's statue with the breast in their hand or hanging a heart locker on the wall. I don't judge anyone here...just a bit disappointed by the atmosphere.
arnaud vanderroost — Google review
Entrance to the courtyard was free, but entry to the building was paid. It's worth a look, even if you you don't want to go inside.
The statue is also very popular for photos.
Steven Kemp — Google review
Honestly, this is 100% the worst sight in Verona - and this comes from a hardcore Shakespeare lover! The outside of the house is so so overcrowded it gets really annoying, and the inside of the house isn't really worth seeing - there's nothing interesting, expect for maybe the bed replica from the Romeo and Juliet movie. The balcony is cute, but with the hundreds of people around, you can't even get a decent picture. Free entry to the courtyard, you need to have a ticket and a reservation to be able to visit the inside.
Kristýna Vacardová — Google review
When we visited the museum that is attached was closed. We didn’t mind because we heard it might not be worth a visit. The area itself is generally busy but is a nice little place to stop by and take a picture. If you don’t do the museum it doesn’t take too much time so I think it is worth a stop on most itineraries.

The house is huge, and for those who love the story it is something you must visit. The tickets are only online so make sure you book before visiting. If you just want to see the figure of Juliette, then is another queue with no tickets.

It was finally good to see the location of all those hours of reading Romeo and Juliet in high school took place.
We were able to order tickets to view the house while everyone else stood outside to take pictures. It was very easy to do and foreign credit cards are excepted by the ticketing agency.
The house is MASSIVE, and it was good to get clarification on so many parts of the story that words and videos didn’t relay. It is over four stories tall and very wide.
It was good also to share the day with my ten year old son and told him that he has a head start on the subject.
The home was well persevered and had numerous paintings, sculptures and costumes.

I read a comment that says it’s a romantic place turned into a tourist nightmare and that’s the perfect description. People just want to go touch Juliet’s breast and take pictures doing it. Personal space is unbeknownst to those people. It still a beautiful place and there’s audiobooks available with QR code and it costs 2.5€, I didn’t buy it but it looks interesting. Overall the place have a romantic vibe and the store in front of the balcony has nice souvenirs (but you can find the same ones cheaper around the city). I tried to take a picture of Juliet only and couldn’t do it because people kept jumping to a breast holding picture, so I gave up and got the picture I wanted online. Bring your patience, and enjoy that balcony full of history!

We didn't enter the museum and the balcony itself, but it's freely accessible to enter the courtyard. From there you have a great view on the balcony and the statue of Julia, free of charge. If you want to enter, you'll have to pay. It's nice to see where Shakespeare got his inspiration from for the greatest love tale of all time, but you'll have to deal with the hordes of visiting tourists.

Make what you want of it here.
Get your Mrs to climb the stairs to the balcony.
It would be great if they did it on a personal note like have a bookable 5 min window to view and visit.
When we went there was a lot of people not doing a lot apart from blocking the way.
Make the most of it in its current state 👍🏼

Crowded but nice. You can't really see much but is a great experience if you want to relieve the lovely story between Romeo and Juliet. You can enter Juliet's home and stay on her balcony. You can also take a photo with her statue and, if you're with your loved one, you can express your love by putting a lock in front of the home of love.

Not sure it's worth the hype really.
Tickets must be bought online in advance of entry and this is the only way to access the balcony.
There are a number of items on display related to the story but really people are paying to pose on the balcony, myself included.
If you're a Shakespeare fan, still think it's a must on the bucket list.

Don’t be taken in by all these sites trying to charge excessive amounts. It’s free entry to the courtyard and then it was €1 entry to visit the house and stand on the balcony. There is a QR code in the courtyard which takes you to the site to book the tickets and they let you straight in. If you are unsure they will help you with the form at the house entrance. You are allowed a 1 minute max on the balcony and there is a queue but it goes down quickly. They have done away with all the love letters but you can get a padlock for €5-€7 from the gift shop to put on the padlock wall, they have a pen you use for free in the shop to write on the padlock too. There is a queue to touch the statue but I didn’t participate but it looked like it was moving quickly.

We tailored a 1/2 day trip from Milan to Verona via train called Regionale departuring from Stazione Centrale, with tickets bought online at the very last minute. It allowed us to get to know the Veronese’s Architecture, Afrescos, Arena, Art, and the grave of Giulietta! We got into her house and acknowledge that Romeo’s house is still alive but privately kept.

Nice to look at & the story behind it is “cute”. The little museo inside is a nice touch.
We went in Feb so the wait was next to nothing,

Only downside is the shop opposite, kind ruins the view from the balcony!

Lovely quaint place to visit. If you want to see the house and take a balcony photo you need to buy an online pass for 6 euro per person. You'll find a QR code to scan while waiting in queue.
I went on a Wednesday so it wasn't too crowded. 5-10 minutes wait for balcony photo and 3 minutes queue for the statue pics.
The Piazza delle Erbe is an historic plaza surrounded by cafes and buildings with quaint architecture. It is a great place to explore Verona's historic center, and features a statue of Madonna Verona dating back to Roman times.
Visited in early January, they had a Christmas market in which was good fun. Picked up chestnuts and mulled wine, purchased the usual tourist merch and marvelled at the buildings. Great spot at Christmas.

Really, I felt good in this place. It is the city’s outlet and the main square overlooks the restaurants and the square has this beautiful fountain… Everything is beautiful in Verona. It is a city with an identity that you will not forget because it is difficult to visit cities with a unique identity.

Piazza delle Erbe, also known as Piazza Erbe, stands as Verona's oldest square, situated above the former Roman Forum area. During Roman times, it served as the hub of political and economic activity, later evolving with the replacement of Roman structures by medieval ones.
Arosha Weerakkody — Google review
Every time I come to Verona I stay for hours in Piazza delle Erbe (the oldest in the city) because I consider this square a real charm .. and perhaps the truest corner of the city. A corner where palaces, towers, statues and architectural elements from various eras overlap creating a harmonious, unique and unrepeatable collage. Piazza delle Erbe is one of the most beautiful Italian squares in Italy I've ever seen! I have always loved the square for its continuous meeting point of people and cultures, and for its ability to generate authentic stories.

Lovely market, with a wide range of things on offer. Christmas Market is a great visit too- although very busy!
Brogan Harris — Google review
Its a square with lots of shops and eateries. Since, I went here in Dec, the square turns into a Christmas Market. It is very crowded. The old buildings are very nice. Reccomended to go during the shoulder season when the crowds are lesser.

A great combination of historical buildings and nice restaurants with a central view of the center. We visited this place on sunday and there was a bazaar with huge variaty of souvenirs. Defintely you should stop for a while and enjoy the atmosphere in here.

The old buildings flanking the piazza is beautiful. Well preserved and blends quite well with the restaurants and cafes below. The center of the piazza is filled with pop up stores and it is incredibly crowded. Skirt the to the side and enjoy the views of the piazza from there.
Beware of pickpockets.

The Piazza delle Erbe is a mesmerizing blend of history and beauty. As you wander through its ancient cobblestone streets, you'll find yourself surrounded by remarkable landmarks. The northern side boasts the grandeur of the ancient town hall, the Torre dei Lamberti, and the captivating frescoes of the Mazzanti Houses. Across from it stands the majestic Palazzo Maffei, adorned with statues of Greek gods, while a white marble column proudly displays St. Mark's Lion, symbolizing the Republic of Venice. Venture to the south and discover the Casa dei Mercanti, now home to the Banca Popolare di Verona, and the charming medieval tower-houses of the Ghetto. Don't miss the square's oldest treasure, the enchanting fountain crowned by the Madonna Verona, a Roman sculpture from 380 AD. With each step, history comes alive in this enchanting square, where every corner holds a story waiting to be discovered.

This is a very cool place to visit. Nice little shops all around with restaurants and vendors. It can get a little crowded as well. The pricing doesn't seem to be too bad either. So you can enjoy ice cream , fruit or a meal.

Very beautiful piazza with overpriced cafes on it. More beautiful when stands in the middle are closed , they sell some uninteresting touristic stuff and close the view and perspective. Beautiful anyway

Piazza delle Erbe was the forum when Verona was founded during the Roman Empire, and has remained in use as the main square for commerce.
Piazza Bra is a spacious square located in the heart of the city that is bordered by charming cafes and significant landmarks. At its center lies an attractive garden embellished with a mesmerizing fountain. The region boasts numerous Roman ruins, including the Verona Roman Arena which dominates Piazza Bra.
Castelvecchio is a beautiful medieval fortress on the River Adige, which houses a museum of art dating back to the Middle Ages and Renaissance. The museum is filled with beautiful sculptures, paintings, ancient weapons and more. It's an impressive sight from the river, and architect Carlo Scarpa did a brilliant job renovating it after it was damaged by Napoleon and WWII bombings.
One of the main historic attractions of Verona, top of the Must See list.
Rather busy place, worth to arrive early in the morning. Museum collection quite interesting, mostly paintings and some sculptures. Beautiful view point as well. Entry included in Verona Card.

I like castles so this was fun. I kept getting lost trying to find the exit. The museum itself was ok but i have been to many museums in Rome, Florence and Venice that were better
Shelby Dirkschneider — Google review
Lots to see, impressive paintings and sculptures. I'm taking a star off as it is like a maze, lots of routes end with dead end. Lots of groups there on tours, blocking paths, doors, I couldn't see glass doors to exit when I tried to leave! A large group stood in front of them, no signage pointing the way. Ticket cost reasonable, you should go early in morning to avoid crowds. Great views from walls.
Nic B — Google review
Great museum in Verona especially if you are looking for something less crowded than the Arena or Juliet's house. The museum has a good collection of medieval art starting from the 14th century. As you go around the castle you also get great views over the bridge. The setup could be slightly improved in order to make it more fun and interactive.
Henry de Chaill? — Google review
This ‘Old Castle’ is a must see in Verona! Built along the Adige river and the Castelvecchio bridge extending from there across the river, great history behind it. There is lots to see inside this museum and the Verona card gets you free entrance. The place is pretty compact but you should plan on spending at least a couple of hours, perhaps more if you want to leisurely go through the numerous displays of art. Amazing views of the river, bridges etc., once you get up to the top of the castle.

It's a nice place to visit with family. The museum and the artifacts on display are good. The views of the fortress and the views of the river beside it are fabulous, must visit
Lakshman Pusarapu — Google review
Bit hot inside but really beautiful art, especially for religious minded people. Restoration works are to be applauded. Climb the short flight of stairs up to the battlements if you're there. The only toilet is directly after the entrance, and it's strictly one-way traffic, so plan ahead.

This place provides a good overview of medieval architecture combined with a good collection of religious paintings from different eras. Also you get fantastic Verona views from the castle walls.
Aleksei Efimov — Google review
Castlevecchio is stunning and worth a visit. However if you are not interested in medieval art would not recommend the museum. 6euro entry to the museum part. Quite sparsely populated with art. Viewing points of the castle were closed though not notified of this until at the point. Some staff quite rude.
Niall Hanley — Google review
I’ve never seen paintings and sculptures like the ones here. Most if not all are Christian. The castle itself is interesting enough to visit!
6 euro per person, 1.5 hours enough to see everything.
There’s only one WC in the whole place so go for it if you don’t see any long line.
F Laz — Google review
Loads and loads of arts and sculptures of a lot of famous / amateur artists. It was very interesting but the focus could be kept only for the first 20-30 mins. After few rooms the interest starts to dip a bit. Maybe please do this visit with a guided tour. In order to finish the complete museum it will probably take almost three to four hours. We skipped almost 40% of the museum (saw all the important art pieces), still it took two hours for us.
Bharat Balakrishnan — Google review
I liked the bridge, althought it was historically a military fortress, it's a very nice touristic place in Verona. The bridge has many "windows" on its sides from where you can see the a beautiful river view. Just by the side of the bridge there is a small stoney cost where you can sit and enjoy the sounds of the flowing water of the river.
Chemes Allioua — Google review
Remarkably well-restored castle in the heart of Verona. Most of the rooms are filled with religious artifacts and paintings. The self guided tour of the museum takes you throughout the castle and up on the parapets. My only wish is that it had air conditioning -- something that will only be more needed as global temperatures rise.
Barbara Coffman — Google review
Interesting route from a historical point of view. There are so many works on display, it's a shame to have given so much, perhaps too much, attention to the liturgical theme, neglecting that of the history of the caste.

This family-friendly waterpark features tube and chute rides, a lazy river, an adult pool, and restaurants. It's perfect for kids of all ages, and is located in Lazise, a cultured area full of spas.
It was our first time to visit this place, it rain for the whole afternoon but it worth the fun!

Great water park with lots to do. We made the mistake of going on a weekend and it was super busy we didn’t arrive until after 11 so most sunbeds or places to sit were gone. The kids had a ball tho we got a wee seat beside the splash area and they played there all day. We would have loved to do the crazy river or even the lazy river but the cues for floats were way to big to wait in with so wee missed out on that. Otherwise the place is fab with lockers, showers and lots of great food places
Louise Gallagher — Google review
if you’re looking for some adrenaline in the lake garda region this is the place for you. we went in the middle of august and it was very crowed. also everything costs extra; parking, locker, etc. the shower situation close to closing time was very messy, many showers didn’t work and the locker and changing room area was way too crowded. maybe there should be some more space so more people could actually use the area at once.
the slides itself were so much fun!! even if you’re not that much into adrenaline driven slides you will find calmer ones such as the crazy river or lazy river. our personal highlight was the twin peaks slide. that one was crazy and so much fun! also make sure to bring water shoes as the ground can get really hot.
would definitely come back maybe when there are less crowds.

We came in a lovely day in August 2019 with our 7,4,2.5 year old children. The child below 1 meter did not have to pay. We had a very very good experience. The park was not packed and the lines was very short. The slides are very fun and designed very good. Thanks if will be in Garda again we will sure make a visit again.

Honestly loved this place. Had fun in almost every ride. However crazy river should have more employees to manage it as many people would get stuck making the queue very long.
Also the food was actually alright. i had a double chesse burger for €6.50 which was actually very good compared to food in theme parks in my country.
I’d also recommend buying the tickets online like I did, as I saw a long queue for buying tickets on arrival
sari miari — Google review
Parking was easy. The lines were a reasonable length for each ride. The food was not the best though, but I there is a fruit buffet. The rides were intended to.be.scaey and fun. Go there early and find the Crazy River ride, arguably the best but you must beat the crowd since the lines there can get very long.
Eldad Falik — Google review
We have been there during the week on Tuesday by the end of the season. Even though it was quite crowded and some attractions had queues for more than 20 minutes for less than 1min fun. The number of pools inside for relaxation is very limited pools are old and the water is cold. By the end of the day kids had some fun because crowds were already out and they can enjoy rides without big queues. We had no issues with the food, it was ok and without waiting time.

For kids and adrenaline junkies perfect! Top service in cabana suits. But the quality of the water in pools are not perfect. The cleanness in the park and restroom is okay. €€€- it's not cheap and the want to get 7 € for parking also 🅿️ Softdrinks 5 €, 🍔 6 €, 🍨 also 6 €

Spent the day here and all the family enjoyed it. We rented a private cabana for the day and it was brilliant not haven't to worry about trying to get sun loungers when we went in. We tried most of the slides and rapids, would highly recommend it for a day's activities.
Keith Kelly — Google review
A great park for kids and adults, we were two adults, a 10y, 8y and 3.5y and everyone enjoyed themselves and found slides and activities for their liking. As for the food, it was as expected, a bit pricey and a bit underwhelming. The daily lockers are a great help and we really recommend using those. We kept coming when we needed the wallet or to apply more sun screen. The park is a perfect getaway on a hot day.
Nimrod Becker (lvl20Dad) — Google review
Very fun water park.
We hired a private cabana - dear at €120 for the day - but if you can afford it they’re totally worth it. You won’t spend long there, but having a small private beach, somewhere to rest and grab refresh, and for us with a 18 month baby gave us somewhere he could have a sleep!
There’s a great mix of rides and slides for kids and adults. We went at the beginning of July and while it seemed busy we weren’t queuing too long for each ride.
The food prices aren’t too expensive either for such a place, but you could easily bring a picnic if you planned ahead unlike us.

Amazing park! Very well maintained and beautiful a lot to see! I recommend to rent a bike or explore by foot. Great views of Borghetto and the river, the maze is also nice there's a lot of shade to sit down and enjoy if you're tired.

My friend and I got the bus from Lake Garda down to this park on a very wet, rainy day. I was surprised how big it was!! Tucked away outside of the town, it is a huge space with gardens and woodlands, ponds and structures and best of all - the maze! It was a really beautiful place and I'll be it is incredible on a dry day. On a rainy one, I'd recommend good footwear and an umbrella! You can rent a golf buggy and drive around, or they have a few land-trains that you can pay to go on, which would also help avoid the rain. There were toilets and snack bars scattered around the park, though we only saw one which was open, by the entrance. All in all, I'd recommend a trip here! There is so much to see and do, it was well worth it!

My most favourite place in the area. Exceptional experience - a real festival of colour and perfume of various flowers, lawns and little passages. Golf car helps not to get tired. Suitable for a day trip with a picnic.

A beautiful well maintained park. It's worth seeing it. We needed two hours to explore it by rented golf car. The path is well signed so you drive all the roads without missing a single plant. The only complaint is for the toilets which are untidy and missing the seats.
Silvija Mrakov?i? — Google review
Nice park, you should rent the golf cart if not it's too big. Try to go in a nice season as we almost only see green stuff but no flowers.

Beautiful big park… If you like to walk a lot and spend some hours in the park, then yes walking is the option for you. But if you do not wish to walk a lot and spend so much time in the park then biking, riding the park train or having a lot of fun driving a golf cart is your option. One hour renting the golf cart is eur 20. We enjoyed a lot.

This is one of the most beautiful parks I visited! It definitely justified the entrance ticket price I had to pay! So majestic, clean, well maintained and secluded! The trees give beautiful shades and keep you cool during this hot weather! Great picnic spots to just sit on grass and enjoy a snack or a fruit. Nice little restaurants asking the way. Many toilets that are well maintained and clean.
Beautiful flowers, roses and plants everywhere! The maze is so gorgeous and a must to pass through when you visit!
Couldn't recommend this park enough!
Elena — Google review
Entrance price expansive I’d say (16€ for an adult), but the place is gorgeous, especially at this time of the year where the tulips are big, colorful and just beautiful.
Great for kids (there’s a maze inside, a farm with animals, dears in one area…)
Perhaps coming more prepared with a blanket for the grass and some games would’ve made it an even nicer experience.
We rented a golf cart (20€ per hour, 10€ for every half an hour extra) which was nice as the park is big, but if you’re more relaxed with time, walking seemed very nice.

Beautiful, immense botanical park just south of Garda lake. Rented a caddy to roam around this huge, lush park with an incredible variety of plants, some centuries’ old, and an outstanding variety of flowers. Great art, not enough info :/
The path is sometimes indicated in a subtle way, so it’s easy to skip parts of the visit.
While there are extensive descriptions for the main artworks and rooms, the rest of the labels are quite short and don’t provide much info.
You can book tickets online and the queue is shorter, but why don’t allow the purchase online altogether?
So: the art, the rooms, the history… all great. But as a museum it should be designed and managed better. Whoever is running things in this potentially fabulous attraction should do better to do it justice.

Great surprise in Montova which Is by no means the best known city of Italy, but this palace felt more as it was at the time than other more re-designed places. And if your kids know their Greek mythology (Illiad and Odyssey) this is like a giant comic strip. Don’t let the kids miss the horses painted on the roof. They change direction when the looker moves! Much more spectacular than Mona Lisa looking your way at the Louvre in Paris!

Unbedingt besuchen.

Truly palatial as we would say, dozens of rooms stuffed with magnificent treasures, entrancing views, stunning tapestries by Raphael, frescoes by Mantegna, Grechetto’s finest canvas, antique sculpture, more painted ceilings than you could ever imagine, secret gardens… it goes on and on. Definitely put it on the top of your list along with the stunning and bizarre Palazzo Te on the outskirts of the city—Guilio Romano had a hand in both projects.
Nathan Eddy — Google review
Honestly, I expected more from this palace, as a lot of people I know have always raved about it. The first part of the building is empty, with some dark paintings, therefore very ugly. The second part, however, is really very beautiful. About Camera degli Sposi, I thought it was more beautiful sincerely, but it's still nice to see it btw. However, what I didn't like at all is that you have to leave your umbrellas/things at the entrance, you have to put your backpack in front of you (literally no sense) and they are absolutely faithful to the time of entry. Too many people giving themselves importance in this museum...To then recover the things left at the entrance, you must exit completely and re-enter from where you entered. If it rains you literally get wet. Absolutely an awful management

The Basilica di Sant'Andrea is a grand 12th-century church located outside the original city walls of Pistoia, Italy. Its fortified facade features a relief of the Journey and Adoration of the Magi by Gruamonte and Adeodato. Inside, visitors can admire an impressive marble pulpit carved by Giovanni Pisano in the late 13th century.

Soul soothing and fulfilling. A feast for the mind and eyes just being in here. I personally prefer visiting churches compared to the Museums or Art galleries - it is usually free of charge, a lot less people and I get to relish their beautiful and unprecedented work of art and architecture. Treasure all around and above - It is best done sitting on one of the long pews and simply look up. There are a staggering collection of beauty and religious significance here. "Do not judge a book by its cover" it is a place that is unassuming on the outside but absolutely phenomenal inside and dominates over the Piazza Mantegna. Here preserves the greatest relic of Christianity: the Sacred Vessels containing the blood of Christ.

The animals and their habitats were lovely, well kept and clean, as was the rest of the park.
Highly recommended.

The zoo was amazing, the animals have a lot of space, lots of greenery! They seem well fed, cared for and loved! The place is amazing for families, friends and even for someone to go by themselves! We spent almost 3 hours there and the fee was worth it!

Really nice place! All animals are clean and well maintained! It take about 2-3 hours to walk around whole place.

Quite impressive for the small cost to enter with lots of high maintenance animals. Lots to see and places to eat. Plenty of parking. Some of the rides weren't open probably as it was low season but it really didn't matter. Very entertaining

I've been to many famous zoo parks across the world. This is one of the best in terms of quality of animals' life. To me it's the most important thing. It's not about "how many kinds of monkeys or birds does the zoo have". It's about their living conditions, how healthy and clean they are. I can honestly say that I was happy to see that this park has invested a lot of money in it. The animals look healthy and live in a relatively large spaces. No cages! I was also surprised to see bengal tigers, lions, leopards, cheetas, cougars, snow leopards - all in pairs. It's an impressive quantity given how much does it cost to keep them. So, my personal respects to the owners and sponsors of this park - please keep up the good work.

This is single handle the best park/animal attraction to take the kids to!! Big, clean, with so many animals, everything was looked after and very safe. Sanitiser gel at every corner, few different kiddy areas. All the bars were closed today but not sure if that is always the case. Pic nic benches, cosy corners and a variety of species to see for all animal lovers
Leolandia is a fantastic amusement park that offers a wide range of attractions for both kids and adults. Visitors can enjoy thrilling roller coasters, water rides, and miniature models of famous Italian landmarks. The park is well-maintained with plenty of dining options and restroom facilities. It's recommended to arrive early to avoid crowds, as the waiting times for rides are generally short.
Awesome theme park for the little once. If the kid is more than 105 cm, he could ride most of the rides. Entry could vary from 25 up to 38 euros based on how early is your reservation. The parking is 5 euros. The food meals are reasonably priced especially for kids. Not for the thrill seekers.

A wonderful space designed in thematic segments for the happiness of children, like a puzzle. Manufactured with good aesthetic taste, meant to capture the energy in a functionality of the fairytale landscape. We were more than happy ❣.

My little one loved the park! Park is quite quiet in March. We went on some of her favourite rides on repeat! Loads of interaction time with the characters. All the staff are extremely helpful and friendly. We arrived with suitcases. Easy to store at reception for €10.

We stayed whole Sunday over there, my 2,5 years and 6 years kid enjoyed it a lot! Great fun on summer day. Food is expensive as the toys, but drinks are the same more or less like everywhere in Italy. There's mini Italy as well as a small area with animals. The park is not big but the day goes away quickly and there's still plenty to see.

Great experience for the little ones. The park has a range of attractions to cater to all ages, from babies to 10s and 11s. The park is very clean and well organised. Probably best to spend 2 days in the park to see all the attractions as queueing can take some time. Highly recommended

A fantastic place to spend a full day with family. This place is not just for kids, but even adults can enjoy their time.
One day to cover all activities is doable especially if it is not jam-packed, but 2 days is more than enough to cover all activities.
The place is very well maintained, there are plenty of eateries and toilets, and is worth the time and money.

Great place to bring your family for a day of fun. The little italy is nice for get a moment of relax.. few place where to play with water so please don't forget the swimwear for kids.
There is animal that you can feed and Sn aquarium and a reptile area.

Great escape day. If you have kids this is the right place to go. Went there last weekend and it was very crowded, especially the "bettola". Had to wait very long to get some food. Attractions were nice
Marco Marinaccio — Google review
The park is great, attractions are enough and fun for children of various ages. I love the farm zone and "lake" side walk area.
What I would suggest:
1. Shuttle bus from Milan to Leolandia - Most parks have this. The gang which you have to pass from the Capriate highway station is so dangerous, dirty and bizzare. It's the last place to be with children. You cannot say that is a "safe" passage.
2. Cleanliness of the park - I would recommend having more people clean the park and restaurants area.
3. Shading zone - Please consider planting trees around the park. There are not that many shading areas considering the amount of people and roads in the park. It's difficult with kids in the sun.

Great albeit expensive experience for the whole family. We were 4 adults and 2 kids.
The kids had a blast and us adults had a great time too.
The shows and PJ masks museum are in Italian and might not be the most interesting for non Italians. All of the rest of the activities are suitable for everyone (depending on height).
Steven Globus — Google review
Very nice place. Has enough entertainment for kids. Most rollercoasters start from 105cm, so smaller kids can mainly enjoy water games, Thomas train, shows and there are a few slow ones.
Several areas for wood spread around, so no need to walk back and forth.
Get there early. It gets crowded closer to 12-13. Waiting time is low ( 5-10 min).

The botanical garden of Villa Melzi d'Eril is a beautiful place with statues, lakeside paths, and a villa on the grounds. It is a great place to visit if you are interested in plants and flowers.
It was named the most beautiful garden of Italy in 2016 and it deserve the label. It is a must do in Bellagio.
Such a beautiful, peaceful place.
The view is simply stunning.
There is a museum.
Plants have labels to identify their names and origins.

Beautiful gardens, recommend to visit it in the afternoon when the sun is high and the villa and the garden are well sunlit. We visit it in the morning. Also it is good that the tickets are valid all day so you can go in and out as much as you want.

Wedding photographer's perspective: We've shot here a couple of pre weddings sessions and it has always been a beautiful experience. The architecture of this villa is a great frame for elegant pictures and the gardens are simply a paradise on earth. They are super wide so that even if the location is crowded it's still possible to find private spots for photography. The light at sunset here makes everything magical and cinematic. Our couples have always loved exploring this villa. The fee for shooting here is one of the cheapest on the lake, making choosing Villa Melzi an obvious choice 10/10!!

Lovely well maintained gardens with excellent information to aid the experience. I was expecting more flowers, however there was mostly trees. The museum was informative with easily digestible reading. Great views overlooking lake Como.

Villa Melzi is one of the highlights of lake como.
Inside here you can find manicured and beautiful lawns; a chapel at the end of the garden, the villa itself with unique symmetry architecture, and a small anti-aquarium house.
The villa’s beauty will strike at your heart with its beauty.
The villa has an interesting history; especially on its ownership origins till today and is worth a read.
Seen in the attached photos is a map of the villa.
In the chapel are incredibly ornate marble sculptures; seen in the attached video is one example of marble sculpted to look like fabric.

Had such higher expectations but unfortunately was disappointed. It's a nice place with a variety of flower and exotic plants but not much else.
The museum is basically one room with a few statues.
The yard/garden has beautiful views but definitely not worth 8 euros per person. The aquarium is almost non-existent.
It has a few decent buildings, one which is still occupied by a resident.
Overall great for a stroll but not much to see other than different types of trees and plants.
Mostly used by newly-weds for wedding pictures.

The gardens of the Melzi Villa are huge pretty, and actually pretty basic. The number of trees and unique plants is fun, but you're not going to see any elaborate floral arrangements or planting patterns. For example, the Japanese section is an unexpected treat, but the water inside the pond was was very dirty and unwelcoming. I'm not sure €8 is worth the entry price, at least not in August (maybe other months have different plants in season). It takes twenty minutes to walk from the ferry port to the front gate so budget that time into your day. You'll spend maybe a hour in the gardens.

Beautifully manicured and well taken care of gardens. The house and chapel are in terrific shape. Wonderful plant and tree specimens throughout. Make sure to bring water as there are no services other than a WC.
Mark LoGiurato — Google review
A very spectacular garden with beautiful landscaping. There are 2 interior buildings which are accessible, the museum and the chapel. The house is closed off which is understandable since it's actually somebody's house. I felt very lucky to be able to see the garden itself.
The museum is interesting and takes you through the ownership of the house over time,.and key events that happened there. It also gave me some perspective on the Napoleonic and Austrian periods.
Arriving here is a short pleasant walk along the promenade from the boat stop, very easy to get to. Set aside at least an hour since even though the garden may not look huge, it's actually pretty big. Bring water. Note that to appreciate many hiddem parts of the gardens you will need to walk up steep hills, but you can still enjoy much of it from the main, flat, walkway.

Beautiful garden area and a lot to explore, there’s a small chapel, a lot of nature, places to take photos and access to the lake near the end. It costed around 8 euros per person and its free for under twelve years old. Definitely a must visit for at least 3 hours (most of the time at the lake and walking) for your day trip to Bellagio to visit Lake Como.
toulan khouqeer — Google review
Garden was nice with a map for all the monuments and trees. 8 euro per person seemed a little high as the place was rather small and didn't offer much to look at except a nice view of the mountains and a couple landmarks on the property. I understand landscaping is a tedious job to maintain a property I just expected more. Not bad but not great

Beautiful gardens just on the bank of the lake in Bellagio. The walk and landscape is beautiful. Although they call Villa it is more the view of the lake and the lush gardens are the experience. Typically you walk from one to another and back to Bellagio and can take an hour. The entrance fees are 8€ and free for kids.
The Villa Carlotta museum houses one of the most renowned gardens in Italy. The garden was designed by Gian Battista Sommariva and is a reflection of reason surrounded by its more romantic counterpart, the flashy theater of the following century. The art collection inside the museum is renowned for its many works by famous artists such as Canova, David, and Throvaldsen.
Fantastic villa on the shore of Lake Como with stunning views across the lake from both the museum and the garden. This Villa contains superb gardens and an excellent museum of the villa itself. The museum is large with lots of room to move around. It also has lots of different rooms, art, artifacts and antiques to see but my favourite part was walking around the very large garden.
Well worth a visit

Brilliant place to visit. They have two routes around the lovely gardens, one not so steep, and one fairly steep. But it was worth it for the views of Lake Como. They have a reasonable cafe, inside and out, with again lovely views. The villa(the museum) was ok

One of the best gardens I have ever visited! So beautiful and diverse!
Try going in the morning so you have more time exploring as the garden is pretty big. It also has picnic spots so it’s a great place to spend a day on when visiting lake como. Has fantastic lake views, the villa itself is gorgeous, but the garden is a botanical one with many cool plants. Has a bamboo jungle which is magical.
There’s free parking down the villa & there are elevators to take you up in the garden & upper floors of the villa, right outside of the villa in the south.
Absolutely recommend a visit, so worth the price (15€ adults)

One of the biggest and also most beautiful villas in the Lake Como area, with audio guides available and 2 suggested itineraries depending on whether you want a short walk around or a longer stroll in the garden.
Definitely worth the visit, for all ages. It was also made wheelchair-accessible by the gentle slopes and lifts.
Parking available along the road, both free and paid lots.

Beautiful Villa, beautiful gardens and a lovely walk on a perfect spring day. The cafe and toilets were open. I would recommend 2-3 hours for a leisure walk around the gardens before finishing at the museum (which ends in the villa and gift shop). We parked 400mtrs before reaching the villa in a paid parking place which we were lucky to get some space in. There are some decent restaurants and places to eat walking distance from the villa. There is a ferry stop across the villa and that takes you to Bellagio (another beautiful place which is a must visit).

We loved this place! The garden was amazing with different species from all over the world. So cool that they are able to thrive in Italy due to the microclimates around Lake Como. The villa had beautiful views of the lake and offered many opportunities for great photos. The café inside had a decent selection of food and drinks, although slightly overpriced.

Love it and hate it:) it was a great walk, very nice and scenic. Very poorly marked trying to exit. You need to really read the map as there is only one exit sign, and it's not at the exit. It is very confusing for most of the people there. Plan on about 4 hrs if you want to do the whole thing. There are signs that say 75 minutes for the full walk, maybe, probably not. Add an extra 30 minutes to find the exit. Think only 3 people work there, so you are on your own. Overall, it's a really great place with poor sinage.

Gorgeous house and gardens to visit. Lovely artefacts in the museum and sculptures.
The gardens are set in wonderful grounds, lots of it are not accessible for wheelchair users as it is very up and down.
Wonderful plants and flowers carefully set out with a waterfall running down the hillside. Great views from all angles and photo opportunities.
We visited on a very rainy day but this never spoilt our enjoyment.
Would recommend a half day visit. It has toilets and a coffee shop.

Beautiful villa with huge well kept garden. It has some old furniture dating back to the old times but also a collection of cutlery and crockery which don’t relate to the families who once lived there. In that respect villa Necchi in Milan is far more interesting. If you visit in the afternoon the sun has turned and you can take beautiful pictures from the balcony of the lake scenery.

My partner and I went without a ticket and after less than 5 minutes in line, we entered. The garden is the most beautiful thing I saw. Very spacious, it takes 1 hour to explore it. Then the museum is also very good to know how those owners lived from centuries ago.

Villa Carlotta is such a beautiful and peaceful place. The vast garden with the numerous flowers is absolutely breathtaking and the museum (inside of the Villa) is spacious and very lightning. I thought the place was smaller and that the visit would have been shorter but you have to take at least 45 min to 1 hour for the short visit (main garden tour and museum) and 1 hour 30 min to 2 hours for the big visit with all the garden.
It is clean, not too crowdy and I believe that Spring time offers the best images with the colorful flowers and trees everywhere. Don't hesitate !

The grounds are nice, however not easy to walk with a child and not wheelchair or pushchair friendly.
The main floor of the house is worth a quick visit but the other floors are not. The rooms are tiny and filled with minimal artifacts and furniture.
Worth a visit if in the area but your not missing out on much if you view from the lake.
The gardens are impressive from the Napoleon era.

Villa Carlotta Gardens in Lake Como, Italy, is an absolute gem. The lush botanical paradise captivated me with its exquisite beauty. Strolling through the meticulously maintained gardens, I was surrounded by a stunning array of plants, flowers, and ancient trees. The view of Lake Como from the villa's terraces is simply breathtaking, providing a serene backdrop for a leisurely visit.
The historical significance of Villa Carlotta, with its art collection and charming villa, adds depth to the experience. I was particularly moved by the art and sculptures on display, which offered a glimpse into the rich history of this place.
Also nice: doga were allowed to enter the gardens for a nice family walk. The longest red route is about 1 hour.

Villa Carlotta is a lovely botanical garden with so many different varieties of plants. There is such diversity in the fauna and flora growing here. For example, they have a rhododendron section, a succulent and cactus garden, a fern garden, and so many others. The layout of this garden has been planned by a mastermind., and many walking past throughout the garden. The villa itself has beautiful architecture and art inside. A lovely little oasis right on the waterfront and very close to the water ferry drop off.

What an experience!!!
My husband had been wanting to visit for a long time due to his love of movies in particular Star Wars & 007.
We visited the locations where the movies were filmed and wandered around the whole surroundings.
Villa del Balbianello is breathtaking, do yourself a favour and go!
Side note: We caught the private water taxi here and that helped capture some of these gorgeous shots due to the better access spot for drop off.

Charming Villa on top of a small hill which enjoys marvellous views of lake Como. The trees, the plants, the flowers, the rockery, the variety of natural landscapes and man-made pathways is simply amazing. Fascinating history of the place, full of twists and turns until the last owner died and donated it to a National Trust. The architecture blends in beautifully with the complexity of the natural landscape surrounding the villa. Almost a fairytale place, unsurprisingly used as a cinema set for some very famous movies. Not to be missed!

Amazing villa to visit which was one of our highlights during our stay in Lake Como. Be prepared for a 20 minute walk uphill or alternatively you can get a boat to take you around to the other entrance. Highly recommend attending early so it is quiet for you to walk around the gardens. Also the guided tour of the interior was really good and insightful, highly recommend doing that as well.

Beautiful place! Went round the gardens as hadn't pre-booked a tour inside. If you struggle walking definitely choose the shorter 20-minute route through the park to the entrance as the longer 40-minute route if very steep and rough terrain. Bus C10 takes you pretty close to the park. As a Star Wars fan this was so worth a visit for the famous arch and balcony. The views are incredible too. Would recommend if in Lake Como.

A beautiful villa by the lake. Two type of tickets for you to choose, one with guided tour into the villa and the other can only access the garden area. I recommend you to take a guided tour to learn more history about this villa, and you could see many antiques collected by the owner. The garden is as beautiful as you can see on pictures, and especially on sunny days, it’s also the filming place of star war and James Bond. Transportation to here from Milan is easy, just take the regional train to varenna and then the ferry.

This place is absolutely stunning. I went to both the garden and the villa (guided tour), and it was amazing. The villa was huge, great for taking pictures of scenery and yourself. The atmosphere gave out old money vibes, loved it. The tour guide who showed us inside the villa was really friendly and patient with us as well. The only downside was that it was a one hell of a hike before you can reach the destination ( a good workout though). Definitely worth a visit if you’re ever in Lake Como. 😎

Autodromo Nazionale Monza is a historic motor racing circuit located in the heart of a city park. The venue hosts regular car and motorbike races, as well as offering the opportunity to drive or be driven around. The circuit's old banked section is a must-visit for F1 fans, providing an interesting glimpse into its past. While not as modern as some tracks, Autodromo Nazionale Monza still holds charm and interest for those who are not fans of racing.
If you take tour on a non racing day, it can be very pleasant and cheerful experience. Ticket to drive you in a van od a race track is 20 euros and for the museum and full experience is 25 more. You can see old race track and go to carting track. You can buy souvenirs and little burago cars also. Souvenirs are a bit pricey but it’s Italy and one of the most famous track in the world.

Had a fabulous time (visited during Easter), the guided tour was really great and worth the money.
They have guided tours at 10, 11:30 & 14:00 on almost all days including weekends (do check if you are visiting during race week, Xmas & New Years). We opted for the tour on track + tour of the main building & podium (30€). There's a guide who explains the history, show you the important rooms like media, briefing, commentators box, VIP box, podium and race control. Our guide spoke in English and Italian. There is sufficient opportunity to take photos everywhere. The tour ends with a 5min ride on the track in a mini van (you can also ride this alone for 25€ but the one with the guide is worth it).
Getting to the track is super easy, if you are driving you can come till the info point and park... plenty of spaces. You can walk a portion for free that is near the famous parabola... you can visit the stands for a closer look. Cycling in the track is available only on select days. There is a toilet facility, cafe and souvenir shops.
The souvenirs are almost the same price as in the Ferrari museum and such, quality is nice. The race car model shop was quite interesting and not overpriced. These are also open all year like the tours.

I wasn't here on the raceday. However, the experience of walking along the original track was great. It was an equally great experience for me to sit in the stands and enjoy the view, even though the current track was empty. I recommend every F1 fan to walk around the track and enjoy the atmosphere.

Grand Prix F1 2023, Excellent experience and people are very friendly and helpful! The ground was covered with broken branches because of the storm they had some months ago and it was sometimes difficult to walk but I think overall everything was OK. As usual you can expect long queues for water and toilet but that’s normal when there are 10,000s of people.

We booked the circuit tour experience which was worth every penny, saw the media room, commentary box, cool down room and also went up on the podium. Later in the day we were driven round the circuit. Also had time to visit the old Monza banking. Staff were very knowledgeable, thanks!

Went here for the F1 2022 and found it to offer a poor spectator experience. Stands are flat metal benches, so pack a cushion and they offer limited shade, so a hat and sunscreen is essential. As for the food and drink options, along with a random token system, it was appalling. Hope they learn from it and do better in 2023 and beyond!

My family spent 4 days trackside for Monza F1, 22. We had the time of our lives. I recommend taking plenty of water. Race day we purchased 60 euro in tockens for food trucks. Lines were so long we didn’t get to spend them. Otherwise, we had a 5 Star Experience.

We visited the track for the 2023 Formula 1 Grand Prix. It was an exceptional experience and I highly recommend it for any motorsport enthusiast. Everything was well organised and the staff all around the track were helpful. The track offers excellent views of the racing with various grandstands all around it. There were also many food stations and bars to serve the tastes of everyone.

The circuit was amazing to see and the mini bus ride was the highlight of the trip. I do feel like paying €30 euro for the mini bus ride and experience tour was overpriced. I wish the guide had more energy during the tour and answered more of my questions instead of saying “I’m not sure” or “I don’t know”. If you’re a fan of f1, you’ll enjoy the tour nevertheless, but if you’re coming and don’t care much for f1 then it’s probably not worth it. I was also told they weren’t doing any more tours yet later I saw them conducting a tour for a couple. I feel like they said no because I was on my own. Nevertheless, felt a bit odd that I got turned away the first time even thought it was open on the website and Google maps. I bumped into the guide and the couple and had to ask to join the tour again. Overall a 7/10 experience, was cool to cross the line.

Was here for the 2023 Formula 1 Grand Prix. Amazing atmosphere, but also the organization was very good this year. No token system, and if timed correctly then lines for things like food and toilets were also quite short. I’m not sure who is at fault for this particular issue, but there wasn’t enough places to cross the track. Meaning that huge lines formed to cross a bridge that didn’t feel all that safe to cross in my opinion. But overall the tifosi were amazing and it was amazing to be there for a Ferrari pole position.

A historic track that was great to experience, being able to walk on the track was the best part; thought the methods and routs to get to specific locations and seats needs to be more clear but an unforgettable experience none the less.

The track is under construction and so you are deprived of the entire experience. Highly recommended but only after the track is complete (june 2024)

This is such an amazing venue. WE were there at WEC2023. The Food was great, cheap beer. Great chance to walk around Monza and experience from many different stands. The outer stands are too hot on a hot day. Don’t understand why they don’t put up some shade. But besides this everything was totally amazing

Well, for all the bad Press Monza received after 2022 GP we were pleasantly suprised by the general admission possibilities. Circuit has a lot of space to watch, a fair amount of GA grandstands (way smaller than the paod stands).
Overall hospitality was good, beer was icy cold!
All the staff were very kind!
The Villa Reale di Monza is a splendid neoclassical building located in Monza, Italy. It was originally built in 1771 and has been an important historical landmark ever since. The style of this structure is typically neoclassical and it emanates an aura of opulence. The Villa Reale was the home of the Governor of Milan at the time, Archduke Ferdinand of Habsburg.
We didn't want to leave this place.. Very enjoyable for our eyes with very relaxing gardens..!!!

I passed by in the zone of Monza and I saw this wonderful villa . It’s a historical building since 18th century and one of the largest enclosed park in Europe Italy. It’s entrance free at the park where you can walk by with green natures. While entering inside has a payment. It’s very relaxing and fresh air around. Must visit

Imposing and sumptuous villa, a few steps from the historic center of Monza. For a few seconds it seems to be in another era. The external visit as well as that of the gardens is free. A visit is worth the trip

Visited the Villa Reale di Monza today with my partner and our child. It is a fantastic place to go for a walk on a nice day. There are lots of different routes around the park. There is also loads of wildlife, there was fish, squirrels and geese. There were also cafés in the villa. I would highly recommend for a family looking for something to do with kids

It really pains me to take one star out from this review, because the food is exceptionally good. Service is extremely prompt and very courteous. The menu has a very good selection and all is prepared to the high standards and with a good presentation. Overall it's a nice experience with deliciously prepared meals and clean tables.
However, for a place called "Villa Reale" you would expect a better maintenance to the general decor, that has been a considerable let down for me.
Though tables are clean and tidy, the general "shabby but not-chic" look, with hanging electric cables, exposed plastic conduit, mismatching and tired looking chairs is not very pleasant to the eye.
Perhaps a small redecoration would greatly help into bringing the look of the place to the same very good level of quality of the food: pleasant to the palate but also pleasant to the eye.

Beautiful ancient royal residence where to spend a relaxing couple of hours in Monza. Entry fee is €10 bookable online or at the counter. Those days the garden was not available for site visit probably due to some trees brought down by storms, but still worth the experience. I would have preferred guided tours all along the rooms of the villa instead of just an introduction.

A very nice place to walk around and admire, it has a huge garden. A cafe on ground floor with seating inside and outside. I wouldn't go out my way to visit unless you are already in Monza.

Even if it is an amazing day in terms of weather we enjoyed the place. The visit lasted 2 hours and we appreciated very much 4 guides that helped us to understand better the history of the place. Very recommended 😍

Was incredible to be inside this Villa Real! The 10 euros entrance totally paid! The staff that told us the details of the Villa were very nice. Beautiful to travel back in time! Totally recommended in Monza!

Such a nice place to relax. Has a huge garden I mean it’s really huge. I felt like I was in old fantasy movie. I mean inside the garden whole world going to forget and you are in another world. Front of the villa it’s looks like Landon palace. I was able to get beautiful pictures and get a relax time. I went there in a weekday, there wasn’t crowded at all so I enjoyed it really well. I didn’t walk lot I just stayed near the villa. And I don’t have any idea about inside the villa because I didn’t go there but according to pictures that I saw, I think as the garden inside is beautiful.
You should visit that place if you’re in Milano o Monza.
