Known for its scenery, this pebble beach with pine trees & clear water draws many visitors.
Amazing beach with natural tree shadow. Make sure to arrive before 10, since the good spots are quickly occupied. Its great for snorkeling. The parking is too expensive, in my opinion, but you can park above if you arrive earlier.

Probably, if I had a tent or a sleeping bag, I would stay here overnight. To fall asleep and wake up to the music of the waves. This is an insanely romantic place) While I was taking photos and videos, couples in love did not want to leave these cozy caves by the water, and continued to admire the sunset, despite the coming autumn chill. Residents of Brela, you are incredibly lucky with your wonderful beach, take care of it)

Lots of natural shade. Beach is very accessible and well maintained.
You got a parking that leads you to the beach, you can pay by day or by hour.
We have spent a day there and we had a wonderful time.
It is a standard gravel beach, i suggest wearing water shoes.

The beach is spectacular and really-really beautiful. Its a nice pebble beach, the water deepens fast. Good place for snoorkering, near the famous rock there are lot of fish to see. If you are not staying here prepare to come early and pay a lot for parking (if you manage to find one) We’ve arrived at 9am and found probably one of the last parking spaces. Parking price in the bottom-near the beach is 20kn/hour, we stayed 9 hours and payed 180kn. No max price, pretty expensive. There is a parking lot a bit more up, there you can park for 100kn/day. Its around 4-5 mins extra walk, if we would visit again I would definitely park there. Other then that the place is superb! Also if you come early you can secure a great spot, it’ll get crowded around 10-11am. There are 3-4 places to eat, so thats pretty good. Also you can rent a jetski/sup if you would like.

1 star down for overcrowded beaches (main season) and -1 star because of cleanlyness. Someone should keep an eye over litter bins and "uneducated" tourists.
Otherwise this is a beautiful place for holiday, nice local people.
Fully recomended for families with children.

Famous beach in HR. Could be overcrowded and it may be hard to find parking place if you arrive late at the day. 08.2022 -we payd 130 HRK for all day parking, but the you don't need to pay for an umbrella, because the trees are close to the beach and you could stay below them.

Amazing beach! 1hr drive from Split in a road with beautiful landscapes. The beach offers all facilities and well organised: pedestrian path along the beach, parking, hotels, toilets, cafes, playgrounds. The views are stunning and the water so clear. Photos don’t make it justice 🙌🏻

THIS is a proper Dalmatian beach, as they once were, before folks started tearing down the trees and clearing them out. Historic city harbor & busy port with a rugged backdrop on a peninsula known for grain & salt trade.
I love walking in the harbor, looking at the boats and sea. And this place fulfilled it. The harbor is clean and sometimes full of people on the promenade.

I'll never travel to Dubrovnik without this trip planner again
Tucepi beach it truly beautiful. It sparkles on sunny days and has a stunning glow as the sun sets.
The clear sea is gorgeous and calm to swim in. We enjoyed sitting on the shore and swimming in the sea.
We enjoyed the walk past day or night.
It's a great little beach with lots of watersports and excursions going on! So you can relax or find something adventurous to do!
Just a tip- if you have your own sea shoes, BRING THEM! The stones are very painful on your feet. But if you don't own any, don't worry, the shops along the promenade all sell them!

Great beach, little bit of everything. It's in a little bay, so water is extra calm. Clean, with big rocks. Lots of natural shade as well. Few cafes here and there. There's also a dog beach here, so it's super nice for all furry lovers as well.

(Translated by Google) Awesome and incredibly impressive/beautiful place. You should wear sturdy shoes. (No sandals or similar) From the parking lot you can walk through the forest along the "crater". Please pay close attention to your children, there is only a railing at the top of the crater. (A kind of viewing platform) The path along the crater is very beautiful but unpaved. (And it's quite steep uphill) There is also another path, but it doesn't have a panoramic view.
A trip is definitely worth it. You should also have something to drink with you.
I was very impressed by the sight 😁

Krasser und unglaublich imposanter / schöner Ort. Man sollte festes Schuhwerk tragen. (Keine Sandalen o.

Blue Lake, also known as Modro jezero, is a picturesque crater lake with crystal clear, deep blue water. Surrounded by high rock faces, it offers a breathtaking backdrop and invites you to relax and enjoy nature.
The red lake, or Crveno jezero, on the other hand, is a fascinating phenomenon. With its intense red water and steep cliffs, it creates a dramatic atmosphere. The red color is believed to be due to the sediments and algae in the water. The sight of the red lake is unique and impressive.

Be sure to wear good shoes. Also note that swimming here costs money. 2.5 euro under 18 and above 5.5 euro. The lake is awesome. No need to bring snorkels, the water is clear but I haven't seen anything. Also no toilet or shops down at the lake. Toilets are present on top.

The Blue Lake is just fantastic. It’s a bit of a hike in and out as the path is just over 1/2 mile long with 450ft of elevation gain from bottom to the top, but it’s worth the effort. Take food and drink as you don’t want to have to go up and down any more than necessary. The lake is a sink hole and is just beautiful. Great swimming, diving and general fun that kept our teenage kids off the phones the whole time we were there. Will be back again soon.
Goran Raven — Google review
Really unique place with his own story.
Blue lake was always attractive to visit but last year's lake accessibility has been improved. There is a path which brings you (almost) to the lake itself.
Once there you enjoy the untouched nature and get unexpected refreshment from the lake.
Way back is not that easy. Do not hurry and keep in mind to take some wather with you.
However, once back on the top there is a great small place "Šimetrija" which offers different types of refreshments. Really great experience.

Absolutely fantastic place. Every time of year is different water level and just amazing landscape. It is possible to make hike around the canyon (sinkhole) in which is the lake

Lovely view very nice lake swim if u want i was swiming a lil bit cold water but still good choise not much people long route DO NOT TAKE SLIPPERS at the last meters heavy descent on the stones clear water take googles if u have nice plase to explore
Nice cute beach! I took a dirt road because google advised me to do so. It was a rocky road so would not recommend it if you don’t have a four-wheel drive. Apparently there is also a normal road going there so that one I took to go back up. Parking is 30 kn and a wooden beach bed is 100kn per two beds. I was alone so paid half. You can’t order drinks at the beach but you can buy it at the restaurants/bars 10 meters from the beach and drink it from your beach bed. Would like to go back here.
Carlotta Westra van Holthe — Google review
Use roadsigns not navigation to get to the beach, navigation is longer and the road is mostly gravel. Parking is paid, and so are the deck chairs. There is a bar above the beach. The shower is not available on the beach. Other than that the beach itself is a pure gem.
Mirko Gabelica — Google review
We were here in mid May and it was still blissfully quiet, not yet inundated by tourists. The water was blue and crystal clear, and while it took a couple of minutes to adjust, the temperature was not too cold. It’s a lovely beach composed of rocks, pebbles, and sand.

Beautiful beach 🏖️, you have to drive about 5 km down the hill but it worth it. Parking 🅿️ is charged 30 kuna per day. We also eat in konoba Mijo on the beach, good value for money, highly recommended to visit this beach

Amazing for snorkelling!

The place was amazing, one of the better pebble beaches I've been to. Pristine! Be care driving down as the road only fits one car. Don't drive fast!
John Topler — Google review
Beautiful beach, fantastic personnel and relatively realistic prices, you'd be able to drink twice as much compared to other tourist destinations, especially Croatian islands which love to overprice anything there is to sell.
Only downsides would be road quality, which is quite shabby, and parking isn't the best but considering the prices it is not to be complained about.
9/10 experience, will definitely visit again!

Beautiful and spacious beach. The views are stunning here. Way above the beach where the main road is you can see monumental rocky hills so be careful as you descend steeply down to this beach. The sea is clear but deep. Beach suitable for swimmers and kids also. Not a lot of natural shade.
marcoolinho — Google review
Instagram beach, absolutely beautiful but when you get close it's not all that.
Too much Trash; plastic bottles, plastic bags, cigarette butts, styrofoam, the water is not clear and there is small plastics in the water.
Parking they've just slapped on 30kn into the sign and collect cash only at the entrance, park before the sign and walk down for free. Cash only at the bar too
Don't turn where Google says, it's a gravel road, turn at the sign "pupnatska Luka" it's paved

Pupnatska Luka on the island of Korčula is a true hidden gem of the Adriatic. In this idyllic bay, nature is encountered in its purest form: a beautiful beach surrounded by crystal clear and transparent waters stretching all the way to the horizon. For those seeking respite from the summer heat, the forest on the side offers shade and a peaceful nook to relax with the sound of waves. What makes this beach special is its tranquility and serenity, far from the city hustle. It's also ideal for families with children, where they can enjoy a safe and friendly environment. If you're visiting Korčula, Pupnatska Luka is a destination you shouldn't miss. Highly recommended!

Large beach that gets very crowded. A lot of umbrellas for a price of 19 and 25 euros.
Above the beach, there are a couple of nice restaurants offering food and drinks.
The beach is both pebble stone and sand.
Semir Omerovic — Google review
Clean sea, amazing view and so nice round pebbles.
Has some shade on their corners of the beach.
Parking is charged by the day and beach deck chairs also (24h from payment), konoba and restaurant is there so you don't have to bring your own food.
I could stay there for days how nice and calm it is. Lots of people come after 12h so it is more busy in the afternoon than in the morning.
Andrea Ticic — Google review
This beach is such a special find! We took our hired moped down here. 18€ for sun beds but equally as nice to sit on the beach!
Lizzie Perrin — Google review
One of the crowded beaches on Korcula, however still worth visiting at least once as it is beautiful and the water is clean. You can grab a chilled drink from the local bar and have some food as well. The only minus is the cleanliness of the surrounding areas, guess this comes from the eastern european culture leaving a mess anywhere possible so it is a task for local authorities not only collect money for parking but start collecting some fines from people leaving s... behind.
Tibor “t.b.” Lak. — Google review
Perfect beach with facilities in a beautiful bay surrounded with pine forest.. When in main season recommend to start early as obviously gets crowded. 2 sunbeds with ubmrella for 25 eur a day seems fair price for me.. From 1st september price dropped to 20e. What a place to relax!
The Korcula Town Museum is a small 16th-century Renaissance palace which showcases exhibits on the history and culture of Korcula. The museum features an impressive collection of amphoras, photographs from the 1930s and 1950s, and other historical artifacts that have been arranged in chronological order. Visitors can explore the rich history of Korcula for a modest entrance fee of only 20kn.
Really good and modern museum occupying 5 floors. EUR6 entrance fee. The basement has the oldest pieces, and it gets more modern history as you climb up. Also a good toilet in the basement, which is handy! I particularly liked the helmet from the 5th or 6th century BC.
Ross Gerring — Google review
Had a visit to the museum guided by Vicko. Wonderful museum, even better storyteller. His English was impeccable and his knowledge of everything Korčula unsurpassed.
ivana f — Google review
Decent city museum! I definitely liked the amphoras (+music background) and photos from 1930's and 1950's. Someone put quite and effort to arrange the exhibition in chronological and well-arranged order.

Korcula Town Museum is located across the St. Marc Cathedral. The Museum is housed in Gabrieli's palace, built in the 15th and 16th centuries but newly renovated. It consists of 4 floors and shows how life on the island looked before.
I would definitely recommend this place so you can understand the history of Korcula better. My favorite parts of the museum are the 3rd and 4th floor but the other two floors are no less attractive.
Tanja Markovic Zaatman — Google review
Entrence is only 20kn, and you can explore a bit of Korčula's rich history. A the moment the museum is beeing rebuilt so entrence to the temporary location is just around the corner.

Good selection of themes, with interesting displays. I particularly enjoyed the seascape with amphorae, the 18th (?) century room, and the attic kitchen. Really quiet. €6 adults

The visit to the museum was the highlight of the Old Town Korčula. A newly renovated building with 5 levels is organized extremely well. Vicko, our guide is truly the best guide one can have for the museum, and Korčula Island really. Highly recommended! Ask for Vicko!
Casa di Oliveto Petrovac, Montenegro — Google review
Bit disappointed coz the actual museum is being renovated and only in temporary home and possibly a lot more would have been displayed ...
Trish Callier — Google review
Enjoyed my visit here. Spent an hour and a half looking around which wasn't really long enough to do the museum justice. Well organised on a logical, chronological basis from the basement up to the top floor.
St. Mark's Church is a 15th-century cathedral situated in the old town of Korcula, boasting stunning coastal views from its bell tower. Constructed using local limestone by Italian and indigenous craftsmen, the church has an intriguing Gothic-Renaissance style facade featuring naked figurines of Adam and Eve on door pillars, a two-tailed mermaid and elephant on the gable cornice at its apex.
The Cathedral of St. Mark, Korčula’s Gothic-Renaissance cathedral, hemmed in by a web of streets in the center of Korčula’s old town is stunning. Completed in the 15th century at the hands of local artisans with the help of Italian masters. The view from the top of the bell tower is beyond stunning.
Turi Galbraith — Google review
Beautiful old church with stunning views from the bell tower! Amazing view of the sunset from the top! Be warned - very narrow stone steps at first and then scramble up a ladder to the last part!
M M — Google review
Korcula is a dream place and The church was beautiful. The bell tower was also really good, at first there was a narrow stair spiral but after that the stairs were wider. The panorama at the top is good, you can see everything. You have to pay for the church and the tower separately, they cost around 25kuna for adults and 15kuna for children. Overall, I would say that it is worth it to see both of them, especially the church. Make sure you do it!

Found folks at Keen Korcula Island to be much more friendly, and laid back with island grace and friendliness. Korcula is a relaxing walled island steeped in history and rich culture. There are many coves and small beaches which dot this south coastline of Charming Croatia. We enjoyed the many narrow streets, beautiful churches and magnicent palaces of this charming medieval town in captivating Korcula. We also enjoyed a scenic coastal cruise as well. The Museums are closed on public holidays. We visited the ruins of the house where according to local legend Marco Polo was born.
Helen Lim — Google review
Certainly the most impressive church in town. Worth a visit when in Korcula, especially the tower which has great views of the town and the surrounding bay. The tickets for the tower and the church are separate.
Robert Chomicz — Google review
There are actually two entrances, one for the church, and one for the bell tower. There's even two different tickets for each of those.(around 20 kuna each). The cathedral looks nice, but I can't say it's something you've probably haven't seen before. But if you cherish art really well, you could enjoy it.
But the bell tower view is amazing. Just be warned, it's really steep and narrow inside. If you're afraid of heights or if you have a bigger constitution, it could be challenge to go upstairs.

Looking at the website and reviews we thought this would be a quality experience. It turned into the highlight of our trip. Ivan is an authentic and genial host. The lakes are stunning and the equipment is brilliant. It is fantastic value for money. There are a few quirky surprises on the way too which adds to it all!
Kravica Waterfall National Reserve is a popular attraction with stunning waterfalls and nearby amenities. There is an entrance fee, but it's worth the cost to spend time sunbathing, enjoying a picnic or sitting in a cafe. The area has rocky coastlines and swift water currents, so special shoes are recommended for swimming. Visitors can take great walks and capture picturesque photos of the breathtaking scenery.
Paid entrance.
But the park is worth the money.
It is better to spend more time here, sunbathe, sit in a cafe or have a picnic. But be careful, the water speed is high and the coast is rocky, take special shoes with you if you plan to swim.
Great place for walking and picturesque photos.

We visited these waterfalls now in July 2022. I can say that the place is more beautiful than in photos. The entrance can be payed by credit card. When arriving near the waterfalls we payed for the boat trip (60 euros for 4 persons). It is worth the money. It is 50 minutes and you can enjoy the landscape, the birds, the fishes and the specific plants that grow there. I recommend to everyone this place.

This is the most beautiful waterfall I've ever been too. It was so refreshing on a hot sunny day to get the lovely mist from the waterfall. The drinks available here were nice too.
Darian Thomson — Google review
The place is amazing. It is fantastic to be allowed to take a bath there, and there are many routes and paths. There is also a turistic train, you can rent sunbeds and towels, there are restaurants and bars, so the place is completely for tourists, beautiful, but crowded even in September as the temperature is about 34 degrees.
Luis Vidal — Google review
Beautiful waterfalls but not worth the extortionate price of €10. I don't see why the cost is this much. It's a natural feature. Tourist trap, perhaps?
We stopped off here on our tour and only had an hour. The water was cold, and if I had more time, I probably would have gone in for a dip. 1 hour wasn't long enough for more than a toe touch.
The falls are beautiful. It's surrounded by trees. It's more of a nature walk than somewhere you can sit and picnic. Again, I don't see how they justify the entrance fees.
There is currently building works in progress on the lower level, someone giving rides in a small boats, toilets at the top, and a small cafe that doesn't even sell 6 They only accept Convertible Mark (km) in Mostar. Conversion 2km = €1 yet here they only accepted Euros.

Very scenic waterfall in southern Bosnia , 2hrs drive from Dubronik. Cascade of waterfalls, 7 to 8 streams about 25 metres and 120 metres wide . Fee for adults/ children. You can see family's enjoying, many swimming around. Cars can be taken too. Absolute beautiful , breadth taking views turquoise green water, nature at its best. A must visit , while visiting the Balankan area. A pure Mediterranean natural wonder.

Breathtaking waterfalls and clear waters. Warmer months take a dip in the glorious water.
Decent stairs to get to a nice lil type beach area, with a clear parking lot making it easy to visit as well.

Pretty awesome place. The views are very nice. Its a good place to stop while on a road trip or just passing by. Its a good place for families to go. Kids under 18 enter free! Its 10 euros for adults to enter. There are a few restaurants next to the waterfall.

Boasting a stunning view that attracts crowds, this location is perfect for family visits. A mere 5-10 minute downhill walk will lead you there, and the path is quite accessible for both elders and young children. Despite temperatures reaching up to 33 degrees, the water remains delightfully crisp. For those seeking a refreshing dip, it's absolutely perfect!
Boat rentals are conveniently available, providing an exciting opportunity to get up close with the waterfalls. A selection of bars ensures you can quench your thirst, while comfortably lounging on beach chairs. Moreover, restrooms are available, adding to the overall convenience.
Whether you're seeking a bit of adventure or simply a place to relax, this location has a lot to offer. You'll certainly appreciate the natural beauty and well-thought-out amenities.

We visited the waterfall on a day tour from Split and highly recommend doing so of you're either in Split or Dubrovnik and it's really time well spent! Compared to other waterfalls or national parks in Croatia here you can actually swim in the water which is a great plus. The waterfalls are beautiful and a must see. Would come back for sure!

A place worth visiting if in the area. The tickets were 10.30 euro per person, we have payed by a card. The toilets are located just after the tickets office. Parking is spacious and free.
You can admire the beautiful waterfalls while laying down on the bathing beach, so it's worth staying there for a few hours. There are a few places to eat, but you can only pay with cash so be prepared. Word of advice, if you're tempted to buy alcohol from the guy mid way to the waterfalls - don't. The same products are at least 5 e cheaper by the parking.

The waterfalls are nice but it costs 10 euros and the toilets are absolutely disgusting. No toilet paper, smells like urine. There was nowhere to get food or drinks. What exactly did the money go to?

Very beautiful destination. I recommend visiting here after 18:00 because there is no entry fee (I don't recall the correct time). Getting here by car is simple. There are a lot of parking lots and parking is completely free. Make sure that you do not leave any trash behind. Always take your trash to nearest rubbish bin and recycle if possible.

Small multi waterfalls in the old Roman road. You can swim in it too. Reportedly the water was very cold. You had to walk down from the parking lot perhaps 100 meters because it is in a valley in Bosnia Herzegovina. The walk is convenient and delightful.

Wow has this place improved and got a life in the past 10 years. We were there when they only had 1 little hut thing to get drinks and you could still just off the cliffs near the falls. More restaurants now, but the cliffs and close to them has been closed off, so no longer possible. Amazing clean and fresh water!

Stunning waterfalls a short walk (down approx 100-200 steps) from the car park. It's filled with tourists, but this didn't diminish the experience. There are bars all around the edge of the waterfall plunge pool but they are relatively well priced. A very enjoyable freshwater swim will take you right up close to the bottom of the falls. On the far side from you where you come in there is a sandy shallow area where you can paddle. Well worth a visit. 10 eur entry pp, parking free.

Beautiful place :-) Down at the waterfall is a flat river where u can swim (it is cold and a bit fast so be careful!). The view is beuatiful and the sounds of waterfalls are out of world.
There is a parking nearby, then you walk for 10 minutes downhill by foot and youre at the waterfalls.

Monte da Cruz, also known as Križevac, is a sacred site that features a path adorned with the Stations of the Cross. The journey to its summit requires navigating rocks and red sand, making it a challenging endeavor in temperatures reaching up to 42 degrees during summer. It is recommended to bring at least 1 liter of water per person for this roughly 45-50 minute climb.
Cross Mountain in Medjugorje is a place of profound spiritual significance for many visitors. Rising 520 meters above sea level, this iconic landmark in Bosnia and Herzegovina has become a renowned pilgrimage site. The path to the summit is adorned with the Stations of the Cross, allowing pilgrims to reflect on Jesus Christ's journey to Calvary. The breathtaking panoramic views from the top provide a sense of peace and serenity, making it a perfect spot for prayer and contemplation.
Many pilgrims describe their experience at Cross Mountain as deeply moving and transformative. The physical exertion required to reach the summit is seen as a symbolic representation of one's spiritual journey and commitment to faith. The atmosphere at the top is often described as ethereal, with a sense of divine presence that is palpable to those who visit. Overall, Cross Mountain in Medjugorje is a place that invites visitors to connect with their faith, find solace, and experience a profound sense of spiritual renewal.

It is quite larger than the Apparition hill and quite steep and stony. There are stations of the cross while you climb and it is not meant for the faint-hearted. The stones are quite sharp so that in case of falling one may break the bones.

Worth going or at least trying challenge to get to the top, as temperatures over the summer hit 42 degrees and to get all the way to the top you have to climb over rocks and red sand. Bring at least 1l of water for each person + bare in mind it takes roughly 45-50 minutes to get there during the day. But view and entire spiritual journey is definitely worth going!
Dominik Komarnicki — Google review
It is moving and powerful to pray the stations of the cross as you climb Cross Mountain. I followed the tradition of carrying a stone, representing my sins, from the bottom of the mountain to the top, and leaving it at the resurrection station. I experienced great peace and consolation when offering my prayer intentions at the foot of the cross.

A labor of love 💘. The journey is arduous. It is rocky and steep. Young and old complete this trek up this mountain in a spiritual quest seeking guidance for a troubled humanity. Bronze reliefs of Jesus's last day on earth emerge as you go higher to the beautiful White Cross destination.

Its quite a steep but not too long walk. You'll get rewarded with a lovely view on Medjugorje. I didn't do it for spiritual reasons, I started in the early morning. Zvirovići, monte Križevac (monte Šipovac è stato chiamato appunto monte Križevac nel 1934), Bosnia & Herzegovina
Medugorje is a popular site where sightings of the Virgin Mary have been reported since 1981. A climb up Apparition Hill is a significant experience for Catholics, but it requires sturdy footwear and can take at least 30 minutes on a rocky path. The climb is rewarding, offering peaceful and serene views from the top of the hill. Visitors can stop at Lady Queen of Peace prayer statue to enjoy the beautiful scenery before returning back down.
The path is quite difficult, you will need good hiking shoes
Franci Kuncic — Google review
On pilgrimage to Medjugorje, this has got to be on your To Do list. On this barren hill, pray and meditate along the way. At the top of the hill, stay a little while at foot of the Crucifix and gaze for a little while into the smiling face of Our Lady of Medjugorje.

Visiting Apparition Hill in Medjugorje was an experience that left a profound impact on me, one that I feel compelled to share. Nestled in the picturesque landscape of Bosnia and Herzegovina, this sacred site exudes a sense of peace and spiritual significance that is palpable from the moment you set foot on its hallowed ground. The path leading up to the hill is lined with rocks and wooden crosses, guiding pilgrims on their reflective journey towards the site where the Virgin Mary is said to have appeared to six local children in 1981.
The atmosphere atop Apparition Hill is serene and inviting, encouraging visitors to pause and contemplate in silence. Regardless of one's religious beliefs, the sense of unity and collective faith among the pilgrims is truly inspiring. It's a place that doesn't just speak to the devout but to anyone seeking solace or a moment of contemplation in today's fast-paced world.
My visit to Apparition Hill was not just a physical journey, but a spiritual odyssey that offered moments of introspection and a deeper connection to something beyond the everyday. For those seeking a place of peace, reflection, and spiritual renewal, Apparition Hill in Medjugorje is a destination like no other.

If you visit Medugorje you must climb Apparition Hill, this is a very moving experience that you will never forget as a Catholic. Be prepared to climb for at least 30 minutes a very rocky path, so bring adequate shoes. The climb up is hard but worth it for the spiritual experience of growing closer to our holly Mary. Once you reach the top, f you will be very peaceful and serene. Stop at the little prayer statue of our Lady, Queen of Peace and turn around and you will see beautiful view from the top of the hill.

One of the most holy and spiritual places in the world. I've come here twice now. Each time has been food for my soul and faith as a Croatian Catholic. More recently, I made the arduous journey up the hill late at night which is very dangerous both up hill as well, if not more, as down hill. Once at the apparition site, it was beautifully silent. Amazing quiet which presented an atmosphere rife for prayer and reflection. If you get a chance to visit this holy place, please do. Take your time with the journey up and down. Allow yourself some time for prayer and reflection once you reach the site. Understand where you are. Understand what you are a part of and what you are witnessing.

This is a spiritual place, and if you are reasonably fit you should be able to get there. It is important to have strong pair of shoes. As always the descent can be potentially dangerous and a high level of caution is required.

André Stigberg — Google review
It is a lovely spot for a short hike. Many people travel here as a pilgrimage site. Not a lot of info there so do your research ahead of time. The hike to the site of the apparition is very rocky. The stones have been worn shiny by thousands of visitors. Even so, there isn't a distinct path and navigating the jagged rocks takes time.
No purchase necessary to access the hill. There's also free parking at a nearby dirt lot.

It was my first time being in Bosnia Hergizova, I went there with John Walsh Pilgrim Tour. I paid £750 for 8 days spiritual holiday. Our group leader Milka is an awesome and she is an amazing lady. The hotel was Dubrovnik hotel, it is a clean hotel. The church is 2 minutes walk away. The Risen Christ is also 5 minutes walk away. Viktore restaurant is just opposite of the church and they do amazing food. Reaching out to Apparition hill is extremely challenging, it is a very peaceful place, it is worth showing your love for Mother Mary. You definitely feel Mother Mary's presence when you reach to the top of the hill. I felt that she is watching over all of us & every single one of us😍😍😍I lovveee her so muchhhh, she is my energetic sugar grandmother in Heaven 11😁👍👼🏼💙💎🖤she is also here in this Hologram we all are living in. I am so happy I managed to find her. The hotel was clean, the staff was very friendly, the food was very tasty and they are very generous with the portions. I was so fortunate to be able to meet Ivan from the visionary children Mother Mary has chosen to deliver her messages. Imma & I were invited to the visionary arrangement meeting. Mother I believe Mary wanted to see us while we were in Bosnia Herzegovina on her birthday. I felt so special.☺️We also attended a meeting with the lovely priest gentlemen, he also said a pendant will be given to all of us, it has God Jesus & Mother Mary on it. I believe in their power, I love them both. ☺️I definitely recommend visiting Bosnia Hergizova. The delta of the Neretva river is an intriguing destination with both agriculture and reed beds flourishing. It presents a distinctive way of life between water and land, though its future remains uncertain. Exploring the area by boat is highly recommended to discover its hidden gems. The cuisine in this region features delectable dishes like eel and frog stews paired with unique herbal spirits alongside great wines.
It's a gorgeous Herzegovina river sourcing near the Konjic and finished in the Adriatic sea near Metkovic town. The river passes through five major places Konjic, Jablanica, Mostar, Capljina, and Metkovic. The most famous world bridge passes over the Neretva River and joins two shores, and of course, it's Old Bridge in Mostar, protected by the Unesco association.

The Mostar Old Bridge Viewpoint offers stunning views of the city, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Incredibly, the bridge was rebuilt in the 1990s following its bombardment during the civil war. Numerous cafes and restaurants line the bridge's banks, making it an ideal spot to spend a few hours enjoying the sights and sounds of Mostar.
The historic town of Mostar, spanning a deep valley of the Neretva River, developed in the 15th and 16th centuries as an Ottoman frontier town and during the Austro-Hungarian period in the 19th and 20th centuries. Mostar has long been known for its old Turkish houses and Old Bridge, Stari Most, after which it is named. In the 1990s conflict, however, most of the historic town and the Old Bridge, designed by the renowned architect Sinan, was destroyed. The Old Bridge was recently rebuilt and many of the edifices in the Old Town have been restored or rebuilt with the contribution of an international scientific committee established by UNESCO. The Old Bridge area, with its pre-Ottoman, eastern Ottoman, Mediterranean and western European architectural features, is an outstanding example of a multicultural urban settlement. The reconstructed Old Bridge and Old City of Mostar is a symbol of reconciliation, international co-operation and of the coexistence of diverse cultural, ethnic and religious communities.

The Old Bazaar in Mostar is a pedestrian-only street lined with 16th-century buildings, some of which are painted vibrant pink. The market is filled with traditional home-style restaurants and shops selling colourful handicrafts.
In the bazaar we find an "infinity" of items, but it attracts attention and are very visible the products made by coppersmiths ... for example a complete set for preparing and serving Bosnian (Turkish) coffee. We also find oriental delicacies. I was struck by the presence of many handycraft pieces that reflect the memory of the civil war, being made of whole cartridges, cartridge tubes or other ammunition.
The bazaar capitalizes the secular tradition of craftsmen who came here in the 15th century with the occupation of this province by the Ottoman Empire and turned Mostar into an important craft and trade center whose fame spread throughout the Empire.
In Mostar there are 30 different associations of craftsmen, some of them dating from 1762, such as bakers (ekmekdžije), the tailors (terzije), the shoemakers (baškmadžije), weavers (ćebedžije), goldsmiths (kujundžije), barbers ), builders (dundžeri) etc. Most of the traditional handicrafts activities are carried out inside the Old Bazaar area, representing a great attraction for tourists who appreciate the authenticity and beauty of the items (clothing, leather, copper and precious metals, fabrics, etc.).
The bazaar is called Kujundžiluk (goldsmiths ?) after the street that runs through the Old Town and used since the 16th century for commercial activities. It is a narrow, pedestrian street, bordered by shops installed in old stone houses and very crowded during our visit. In the central area of the street (bazaar) is the famous Old Bridge (Stari Most, bordered by 2 towers, hence the name of the city: "mostari" = the bridge keepers; built by the Turks in 1566), the emblem of the city. Almost completely destroyed in the civil war (1992-1995), both the bridge and the neighboring historic area were rebuilt with international help. The reconstruction of the bridge in 2004, simultaneously with the political reunification of Mostar, were seen as a symbol of reconciliation and restoration of the connection (physical and spiritual) between the divided ethnic groups (Bosniaks, Croats, Serbs). In July 2005, the Old Town's historic center, including the 16th-century market square, mosques and the famous Old Bridge were included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.

It is a small bazaar with not many variety or interesting items to buy other than souvenirs so only worth a visit if you are near the area. On the positive side, it is well-maintained and visually looks good plus it is also recently quiet in comparison to others in big cities.

Lovely part of the city that yet transports you to a completely different cultural experience. The national park occupies a vast area of 5400 hectares on the western end of the island, offering shaded walking and cycling tracks, stunning coastal views, ancient ruins, and saltwater lakes. The two main villages of Pomena and Polace are bustling with tourists during summer days but remain tranquil after boat departures.
Such a beautiful island, the lakes are like paradise and the restaurants and bars are lovely - couldn’t recommend it more

If you are a nature appreciator, you will love it here. Everywhere you look you will see beauty. If you love loud, bad music and pop your collar, you will be bored in 2 hours. This is island is sleepy. Def not a party place.
I came to the island from Dubrovnik. Take the kilro ferry to pomena, mljet. Rent a room at Odisej Mljet( bonus plug to them for serving vegan food)
The park is a short walk from the hotel. It’s like 20 USD/Euro to get in. Lovely trails, nice and gravely. Gorgeous, turquoise water that you can swim in. So lovely. You can rent bikes if you wish. You can take a boat (runs every 20 mins) to St. Mary on the islet of St. Mary. Long story short, it’s a historical church on an island. There is a cute little restaurant in the park where you can stop for an espresso or meal and admire the lake.
I really enjoyed this park, its maintained and it’s very well marked. No chance to get lost. Only thing that was disappointing is that there weren’t many birds or wildlife as far I could tell. In all fairness , I was there all three days in the afternoon when the sun was blazing. And Birds don’t like heat. Maybe there would be more action in the morning. Anyways. I loved this park very much. Incredibly safe for a solo, vegan , female ,nature lover.

Nr. 1 favourite place in whole Croatia. An island in the adriatic where there is a lake, with another island on it, giving a location to an old church and a nice restaurant. It is a little bit like Bled lake in Slovenia, but with salty water. :) It is a real beauty of nature, could spend there a whole week.
Csaba Kiss — Google review
Beautiful place, with no easy access, but maybe this is an advantage, because it is not so crowded.
The nature is stunning. Why not 5 stars? We did not like one of the city - Sobra with the worst omelette that I have ever eaten in my life😅
Pomena is much better! At first, we planned to stay at the hotel (only one in the island, but the hotel looks like from the eightiesand is very expensive - over 120 e per night, definitely not worth). We found an amazing room at SALEMA Apartaments in Pomea. I do not remember the address, but close to the entrance to the national park. The host is fab and the place - simple, extremely clean and with all u need. Value for money. 😀

Beautiful little island. Hired bikes and rode around the lakes.
Trish White — Google review
We visited Pomena which is a small village on the island of Mljet in Croatia that is so quaint and charming you may never want to leave.
It is still one of those hidden gems, but in recent years has seen a bit more development to make it very easy to stay, whilst still being somewhere that feels hidden from the world.
The nature surrounding it and the national park make Mljet perfect for nature lovers and hikers. Daily walks are a must.

One of the most beautiful parks we've visited. We rented out bikes and explored the park until we found this beautiful lake. Water was salty and it felt like we were on a beach surrounded by trees.

One of the most magical places in Croatia, super underrated! We took the car ferry and spent two nights in Pomena. We explored the Lakes and Odysseus Cave, which is a MUST. I'll cherish these memories for a long time, and can't wait to one day to come back.

Blagaj Tekke is a historic Sufi monastery located on the cliffs by the water, featuring a mausoleum and an old Turkish bath. Built in 1520 by the Ottomans as a dervish lodge, it offers a wonderful area to explore while in Bosnia. Visitors can pay a small fee to tour the inside of the monastery or take a short walk up an opposite path for a beautiful view of the shaded area.
Awesome natural and mosque, 10km entry ticket, very peaceful and historic.
Angelia Lee — Google review
It’s a special monastery in Bosnia. But if want to see the scenery as picture that don’t need to buy ticket. Just through bridge and restaurant then can arrive. Should spend around half hour to enjoy this stunning view.
Charlotte — Google review
We were lucky to get a parking nearest to the allowed walking area to reach the monastery. We decided not to enter as there was a large crowd waiting for admission.
Blagaj is, in my opinion too touristic to my liking. the eateries along the river were full of people. The place is quite picturesque though.
We ended up taking photos of the Dervish House from the outside, from other side of the river.
绚 喻Xuanyi — Google review
It's only 10 marks, but it's really not worth it. The best views are from the area on the other side of the river. Took only a few minutes to see the entire building.
Even if it was free, I'm not sure I'd walk through it. Save the time, cross the river. It's prettier from the outside.

This is an incredible place. When you come, you can pray and take its healing water. We couldn't take our eyes off this place that smells of history. It is a bit far from Mostar, but you can reach it by taxi. I think it must be seen.
Zeynep Keskin — Google review
This is a monastery build for the Dervish. There isn't particularly much to see inside. I was more so enjoying the views from the outside. So if you want to save $10, just enjoy the beautiful scenic views from the outside 👍
Aleksandar Kikic — Google review
Beautiful tranquil setting. Hubby and I came here for lunch after the strenuous hike up to the Stari Grad. Restaurant food was actually surprisingly good (from past experience normally picturesque places have expensive unimpressive food). As long as you are aware of the tour buses of people, it's an amazing place to visit.

Wonderful little area to visit while in Bosnia. It's a short walk, you can either pay a small fee and visit the inside of the monastery or you can walk up a short path on the opposite side and see a beautiful view, very shaded area. I didn't visit the cafes, but there are lovely places to enjoy a meal or refreshments while admiring the beautiful view. We were able to park nearby for about 2 marks. There are vendors on the walk towards the monastery. It's a nice stop if you're in the area.

beautiful place, quite ambience, the sound of the river is very relaxing and calming. I love it, 10 marks to enter the Dervish House, I just saw the photos, dont think its worth it unless you are rich
Aisar Darwisy — Google review
It's very touristy, but for a good reason. The Dervish House is beautiful, on the inside as well as the outside. It's recommended to have a guide to explain all the details on the inside of the Dervish House. You need to take of your shoes and wear a head scarf (if you're woman), since it is a religious building. The nature surrounding the building is beautiful.
Lisa van Oort — Google review
We came here at 10:00, before the opening of the restaurant. There were no people, and we could enjoy the views in silence. Drones are not allowed here (airport area and strong wind). Enter to house costs 10 euro.
The monastery itself was built in 1520 by the Dervish. The monastery was considered as a place of spiritual retreat and reflection.
That place is easily reached by bus or car from Mostar. The monastery is located along the river at the base of the cliffs, just a few minutes walking distance east of the Blagaj bus stop.

Drove 20 minutes to reach this spot, while we had an entrance fee of 10/- KM per person, we expected something to see inside that building. They only have the last building at the back to see inside. To be honest, it doesn’t worth it. You are better off just taking photos from the other side of the water stream for the whole building area

👍🏽 calm and by the water
👍🏽lovely scenery specially at early morning or late afternoon
👍🏽restaurants are near by
👍🏽lovely birds sounds at golden hours
👍🏽river steam out of cave

👎 expensive admission and barely anything to see at the dervish house
👎parkings are super limited specially if you are driving your own/rental car

This is one of the unique places in Bosnia. A islamic dervish established this place. He was called Sari Saltuk and he was famous all around Balkans. This place is breath taking, just amazing. Spring water rises from a cave.. Crystal clear water. In the restaurants they serve the fish caught in the river flowing just there. The fish i ate there was delicious. The building just in the bottom of huge rock.. The scene is magnificient. Just enjoy the natura here and hear voices of birds and water.. relaxing..

This is a perfect stop for lunch a few miles away from Mostar. Parking is a bit of trouble or you have to be ready for a walk. Once on the site you can take a boat tour or just walk the surroundings and take in the beauty if the place. Have lunch in one of the spots next to the river.
Stalwart stone wall popular for countryside views & access to a quaint town, castle & church.
Great little hike up the hill. 8 euros is a bit pricey if you ask me but the view is definitely worth it. If you're reasonably fit you'll make it in 25 minutes with a few hydration breaks.

Stonske zidine is THE BEST thing in Stone.
10€ tickets - definitely worth it. Me and wife had a wonderful morning "hiking" the wall from Ston to Mali Ston. This is like mini Great wall of China : )

I hope you like steps because there is plenty of them here!
There is two trails.. the left which is the steeper of the two but this is closed and by the condition of the scaffolding it’s been closed for a lot of years and will continue to be closed for many years to come. The right is not as steep and you can walk along it no problem.
You can’t walk up to the top of the hill as the path hasn’t been completed/repaired and I highly doubt it ever will.
I found this all a bit boring if I’m honest. Nice views is the only positive I can think of.

Wish there was a bit more information about the entrance. We parked in one of the entrance parking spots but it seemed closed. It turned out later that someone was at the closed gate but I guess they didn't just see us. Thankfully we did find the second entrance further away.
There are 2 routes but neither go to the top. One of them goes from the inside, looking over the city and at the end you can continue on the longer trail but that just goes on the side of the mountain to the other side. It was a bit dissapointing that we couldn't go to the very top.
Price is around 10€ per person but they don't accept euros and it's written that they accept cash and credit cards but they told us that they don't accept credit cards either.
The view was nice though and got a good workout from it as it was pretty intensive for the legs

Not as famous as other Croatian attractions but definitely worth seeing.I personally recommend Route from Ston to Mali Ston. Very picturesque!
But be aware! Climbing up the wall is quite demanding especially in high season when temperatures exceed 40°C. Make sure to take water and a head cover! Otherwise go in the evening or early morning:)

Absolutely an incredible experience!! The walls are the largest one in the world, just after the one in China . You can take three different entrance and make 2 different walks . The one who brings you from stone to Mali stone is very challenging. It has a very steep stairs within a narrow corridor , so make sure to do with proper shoes and be very patience. Overall it’s absolutely WORTH IT!! Not to mention the view how is outstanding!! Highly recommended!!!
Francesco Ricci — Google review
Very very cool experience. The wall walk is pretty grueling, especially in the summer heat. To go up and over to Mali Stone via the walls, then walk back via the road is likely going to take you 2 hrs with photo stops and water breaks. Take water as there is none along the way, and don't worry, once you get to the top of the Ston side, it's much much easier from there. Absolutely worth the effort though! Beware of old mate at the ticket office who told me it's cash only, but once I told him I had no cash he magically produced a POS terminal 🙄

You get fabulous views of the old town from its walls ,and if you are a Game Of Thrones fan then all the better for you .We are and we loved spotting some of the film locations .
Some of the steps are pretty steep ,so let's be careful up there ,people .
There are a few pit stops along the way for refreshments, just don't get too refreshed .
Some fabulous sunsets are on offer if you are lucky enough to catch one .
Buy a one day Dubrovnik pass which will get you entry to the wall and a few of the museums in the old town as well as public transport for 24 hours. Not a bad purchase as wall entry price is the same price.
So if in Dubrovnik it's a must ,you won't regret it .
Great to see the salt farm and how everything was done. The lady was very kind letting us go inside without paying for the entry fee as I simply wanted to buy some salt as a souvenir.
There's a small room where you can watch the video of the salt production/harvest process as soon as you walk in the area.
Various types of salt can be purchased just outside at the main entry and I purchased 3 different items.

This place offers to take you back to XIV century to show how the salt was extracted from the salt water, collected and loaded on little railroad carts. Also, it gives you an idea what the walls were for. Lots of history there. There is also a video presentation before you take on the tour. When visiting Slano or Dubrovnik, this is a good place to go, visit and eat some of their best dishes. Highly recommended!!!!!

You'll pay 4€ per person for nothing. Even in the 2x2 room where you watch short video they didn't put any Aircon. The salt is expensive as it's gold! You can walk between pools and that's it, take some photos. Environment I not maintained well.

If you are traveling near Vjetrenica cave, or even just around Trebinje and Dubrovnik you must stop by and visit this cave. It's amazing how wind blows at entrance. Regular tourist tour is around 600 meters long, even if that doesn't sounds great it is worth every minute you spend inside ( i would like to go even longer (deeper) next time). Also you can see one really rare creature its fish called Covjecija ribica, fish that has hands like human.

One of the most incredible places to visit in Herzegovina. Tours start each hour and run about 45 minutes. Hard hats are provided and required, mostly because in some parts the ceiling is low. Since temperature in the cave is always around 11 C, they also provide jackets if needed. We came on a hot day, 31 C outside, and we're met with a pleasant breeze at the entrance, like a natural A/C. Guides spoke English and expertly described the history and the formations in the cave. The cave itself is amazing, with very large chambers and beautiful lighting. Highly recommended!

A bit remote but still available destination, when you are tired of Croatian crowds and summer heat. The cave is giantic and spacy. Easily available and prepared for tourists. It is about 1,5 km walk. Be prepared, take sporty shoes and hoodie as there is about 11C and for the first 100 meters, you will be blown by strong cave wind speeding over 50 km/h. We were visiting this cave late August, midday and were the only visitors, that's great. They let you into the cave on your own, however, there are guided tours each full hour. Entry is 20 Bosnian mark, which is ~10 EUR.

Such an amazing cave! Outside temperature was 40C and inside always 11.4C
Windy is only at the entrance of the cave until you get deeper. Then magic begins... With a great guide it was a pleasure learning on cave biodiversity. Entrance ticket is about 7.5 EUR for adults and 4 EUR for children.

A very long and nice cave that has a huge bio diversity. It currently can be walked in with a tour guide for 700 meters, which takes approx. 30 min one way and 45 to 60 min in total including the return on the same path, depending on how fast one returns to the entrance. The tours are offered as guided tours only by the full hour. Another 600 meter are about to be finished in infrastructure with lightening and concrete path. As of summer 2023 the entire 1,300 meter (700+600) should be able to be visited. At the end of the tour a living salamander in a water pool is being presented. Absolutely worth the time and money.

Lovely place near old town and Gruž
Lapad is a large peninsula (not an island ! as some websites claim) situated just outside of Dubrovnik’s Old Town, on its Western side (check its location on the map). The distance to the airport is about 22 kilometres (14 miles approx) and to the Old Town is about 4 km (2.5 miles).
Getting there:
To reach the peninsula from the Old City you can take a bus from Pile Station – Libertas bus number 2, number 6 or 4 (see a map of public transport). The ride takes anything between 10 to 20 minutes, depending on the area of the suburb you are going to.

City Walls of Dubrovnik is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and it's located in Old Town. It's a popular tourist destination because of its stunning views of the Adriatic Sea. The walls are painted bright blue to evoke the shimmersing sea, and it's just steps away from the famous Buza Bar. There are three floors with dorms on each level, as well as a private room on the top floor with great views.
Great way to see the whole of the Old Town and views out to sea. Would definitely recommend if you're visiting Dubrovnik. It's worth getting the Dubrovnik Pass which will allow you access to the Walls and many other activities/sites in Dubrovnik.

Dubrovnik itself is a wonderful place, because it has a subtle uniqueness that distinguishes it from other places around the world. Therefore, it was registered as World Heritage Site. We can see well-preserved Roman era structures and buildings, especially in the castle town, residents actually live there. By walking along the castle wall road, we can see look closely the entire city, its structure, and the structure of buildings, but we can look the Adriatic Sea, and it's about 2 kilometers. And the sunset of Adriatic Sea is fantastic.

The 'must do' thing when you are in Dubrovnik. On a good day you can see for miles from the top of the walls and it is probably the best place to view the old city buildings from.
There are really nice views of Fort Lovrijenac from the walls and you can spot lots of Game of Thrones filming locations from them. Highly recommended and don't forget that the price includes a visit to Lovrijenac as well.

Walking the city walls is a great way to explore the old town. Its hot work, we set out early and it took just short of 2 hours to stroll around. There are many steps and uneven paths as would be expected of an old fortress wall. An essential activity during your visit to Dubrovnik. Approx €35 each, but under 18’s pay half price.
Paul Cahill — Google review
Beautiful views of Dubrovnik, this is really something you must do here. It’s a shame that the only way to visit the walls is by buying the Dubrovnik Pass, which costs 35 euros each and gets you into a lot of museums too, but which you may not want to go to too. But I suppose you have to look at the high fee as a contribution to keeping the walls in good condition for years to come. However it also means you can’t really go on and off the walls, you have to do it all in one circuit or you’d have to pay again.
Michaela Salmon — Google review
The walls are a must do it you are visiting Dubrovnik. It takes about 1.5-2.5 hours to complete as per your place. The views are just fantastic.
Wear comfortable shoes.
There are a few places to grab something to eat and drink.
The wall ticket also gives access to Fort Lorijenac for a duration of 3 days so don't throw it away.
The ticket costs 250 HRK.
Came to know later that the Dubrovnik card costs 250 HRK and it covers the wall and a bunch of other places so please do check that out first.
Best to do first thing in the morning to avoid crowds. Sunset is also a good time for great views

The walls of Dubrovnik are iconic, no doubt, but are they worth 35 Euro per person or almost $40? I'm not sure about that. As glamorous as it sounds, walking the walls is not that pleasant. There is no shade up there whatsoever, and the views, though initially stunning, quickly become repetitious, and in concert with the heat, they turn to old news as you start searching for shade, water and eventually the exit. I, for one, did not finish the circuit and bowed out before the heat stroke had the chance to do me in.

Lovely scenery from walls. Costs 35 Euro per person. We have been there with one 6yrs old and one 2.5yrs old, also our foldable stroller was with us. It was not too easy with stroller because you need to carry a lot. If you have foldable and light weight stroller, you can take it with you.
The easiest way to start is from Maritime Museum, less steps and easy to climb up. Rest of the entrances have more and steep steps.
It is one way walk, and you do not have to take round tour. We left the walls from Pile gate.

An incredible experience! Would recommend everyone to do it. There are roughly 1000 steps and the distance is approximately 2 kilometres but don't let that fool you, it is a serious workout. They advised that it should take an hour but it took us double that doing it with two small children. In the end the kids were exhausted and we were not able to visit the fort (the City walls entrance ticket allows you access to the nearby Fort Lovrijenac). Would advise to start early in the day if you're visiting in the summer as it gets quite hot post 11am.
Ashwin Kumar — Google review
Great view of the whole city. 35 Euros is a fair amount, but if you're interested in doing something else too (like visiting the fortress outside the walls which is 15 euros on its own) then it makes the price much more justified. There are breaks for food and drinks along the 2.1k walk. Lots of steep stairs, be a bit careful if you don't like heights.
Amazing though, definitely recommend as an activity.
Joshua Bunter — Google review
A must visit in Dubrovnik and where all the tourist crowds descend. Best to buy tickets online and an entry through the main gates which is a GOT famous spot takes one to the steps to go up and start the 2 km walk on the city walls. The walls are intact with sufficient walking space for the crowds and various view points inside the fortress walls and outside.
We visited in October and it was still packed with crowds. There are a few exit points if you don't want to do the full walk but I recommend a full walk and maybe even a second round to take in some of the views missed.
After completing the walks you can always get something to drink or eat in one of the many places within the fortress.
Be prepared for crowds and for those that need potty breaks there are toilets at least one halfway through the walk.
Must visit for all tourists

We did it on 14th October so it was not at it's busiest, or most expensive at €35 per person. You will need to be mobile and able to manage steep and numerous steps to do this walk. I highly recommend it.

Well worth the 35 euros entry fee. The views of the old town and port are stunning (much better than the funicular). Enter the walls at the main gate to the old city and walk the circumference of the city. It is not wheelchair accessible. The walk includes some stair climbing but is relatively easy.

In my opinion it was worth every penny (1 x adult ticket costs 35€), because the view from each point of the old city wall was amazing and wonderful! Stairs are in a very good condition and you always have the possibility to rest for a while and enjoy the fabulous buildings and old architecture as well as the sea 🌊!

The only way to see Dubrovnik’s true glory! The views are amazing! It takes about 2 hours to get around the whole of old town! There are stops and cafés to sit and relax along the way! Its 35 euros per person, which is expensive but it is worth it!

I recommend you purchase a City Pass. It is 35 euro and you can visit not only the City Walls, but also some Museums and the Fortress.
The view from the walls is simply amazing. You should enter from the main entrance, although there are other entrances. Once you enter, go up and make left, because that is the one way sense.
If you purchase paper tickets, make sure you keep them, because you have to present them along the way, due to the other entrances.
Also, if you want to avoid the crowds, go early in the morning. We started the tour early after 8 AM and around 10, when we finished, it was a huge line of people waiting to get in.
Do not forget to wear confortable shoes, a hat and have water with you. You can drink water from the fountain at the main entrance and you can put water from there in your bottles. It will surely help, especially if you visit the walls during the hot summer. For example, there were 30 C degrees at 8 AM.
Lovrijenac is a tourist attraction in Dubrovnik that consists of a medieval fortress with spectacular views of the city. It is also known as Dubrovnik's Rock of Gibraltar, and visitors can enjoy plays there.
Way less busy than the walls (17:30-18:30 visit). Stunning views! Pretty photos on the walk up to/around the fort as well. Inside is usually empty, but they were setting up for Romeo and Juliet so there were chairs and lighting etc.

Nice fort to visit when in Dubrovnik. The entrance is included when you pay for the wall walk. The fort was used many time in the firing of Game of Thrones and can be spotted often in the TV series.
On a good day you can see for miles from the top and it is probably the best place to view the old city walls from.
Tim Lawson — Google review
The fort is really beautiful, it has old time charms and game of thrones vibes. The view from every corner is breathtaking. We went in summer when it was very hot and crowded so couldn't stay here for longer but definitely a must visit place for anyone who goes to Dubrovnik.

so cool to see history. Lots of stairs to climb to get up there but totally worth it and if you’re in Dubrovnik for a day or even longer get the Dubrovnik pass vs paying the same 35 euro for the walls and fortress. Spent just a night and day here and was absolutely magical and I never even saw game of thrones - enjoy your visit

The fort has fantastic views of the Adriatic sea and of Dubrovnik old Town. The entry to this fort is covered in Dubrovnik card as well as the wall ticket. If you are doing a GOT tour then they will bring you here.

Perfect spot to see most of Dubrovnik and the walls of the old Town. You must have the city pass entrance ticket (150Kn pp) but it is worth it for what you get access to. There is a fair amount of stair climbing but nothing too strenuous. Probably the best place in Dubrovnik for views.

Fort Lovrijenac, perched majestically on a cliff overlooking the Adriatic Sea, is a formidable fortress that radiates both strength and beauty. The fort's well-preserved architecture and rich cultural heritage transport visitors to a bygone era, while its commanding presence reminds us of the city's resilience and enduring spirit. Fort Lovrijenac stands as a testament to Dubrovnik's captivating history and its enduring allure as a destination that seamlessly blends natural beauty with remarkable architectural wonders.

A must-see when visiting Dubrovnik. I recommend purchasing a day pass to the wall and the fort for 35 euros. It's called the Dubrovnik Pass, which allows you to enter many museums, free travel and receive discounts, e.g. in restaurants. Beautiful views, a wonderful bay nearby.
Piotr Kawalec — Google review
Pretty cool fortress, get free entry with the city walk ticket so why not go check it out. It’s alright, can spend a bit of time here and there’s lots of steps.
Beautiful views of the old town from here, the views are worth it alone.

Entering the walls is something that is definitely worth a lot. The views are BEAUTIFUL, the sea, the walls, the vegetation... Basically a perfect combination. Also if you are a student (and bring a student card) the entrance is only €5 so it is very cheap.
Whether you are a fan of the Game of Thrones or not, it is an experience that you can't miss.
Aina Company Gaya — Google review
A fantastic fortress, located in a beautiful city, on one of the most beautiful seas. The driveway itself is unreal. You will have the opportunity to sit in the cafe garden right on the coast, enjoy the unique view, before or after visiting the fortress itself. It may not be wise to go with small children, but they will enjoy it too, if you can be sure that it is safe for them.

There are lots of steps but not as bad as it looks great view unless you're a game of thrones fan not much else
Graham Nowland — Google review
Amazing experience on the outside of the walls and on the inside during a walking tour. We were fortunate enough to be the only two on the tour with our guide Marco, who was a local that lived inside the city walls. Marco gave us the history of the wall and answered each question we had in depth. Very nice walk around the fort around 5000 steps on a fit bit.
Alex Robben — Google review
Nice place views are great the Fort is the best attraction and can walk at top. The locals do try to hike prices up for tourists as you can hear them a different price for locals for the same product, which knocks a star off. Queues can be long even with tickets, so best to get them in advance.

Amazing view of Dubrovnik from the fortress. The entrance fee has to be paid. You have to climb many stairs in order to get to the top. It can be windy upstairs.
Matej — Google review
The view from here is phenomenal! With the Dubrovnik pass you can visit this fort + the city walls for 35€. You’ll be climbing some stairs but the view is worth it.
Ghazal — Google review
The ticket is included with Dubrovnik walls ticket. Absolutely stunning architecture and history to boot. Certain degree of fitness is required as there is a huge amount of steps, but the view is well worth it. Even more interesting from the water

Lovely view of the entire old town, and was better than the city walls in my opinion. Stairs are steep, so be cautious. Paid €15 pp at entrance, didn’t have a ticket in advance.

Well worth the hike up. Plenty of stairs but the views are amazing. We got our entrance via the Dubrovnik Pass. I highly recommend it.

Nice to visit and get my daily stair count in.
This is included in the 35 Euro ticket which you buy for the walls and museum.
Does not need to all be used on the same day. We visited the Fort on day 2.
Great views from the top.
Just be aware that the fort can host events so has days / times when it can be closed to the public.

I came up here after I knocked out the city walls walk with my Dubrovnik pass. It is up a few stairs so not super easy but worth doing to see this old fort and the awesome views.

This place is so whorty. Many stairs but the views are mind blowing. 😍
If you buy the Dubrovnik pass, this is included.
The Dubrovnik porta pile museum, located at the entrance to the historical Old Town, is home to one of the city's most recognizable landmarks - the Pile City Gate. The gate was originally built in 1537 and features two enormous stone arches connected by a wooden drawbridge. It is now approached by a stone bridge that crosses what was once the moat of Dubrovnik.
(Translated by Google) A great building. It makes a great impression. Orange trees grow at the entrance and below. The gate enters the Old Town. Great views. Amazing atmosphere. Age of tourists.

In the city you pay for almost everything, and a lot.... €4 for a bottle of water....

This large, ornate fountain features 16 water taps around its circumference and is a popular tourist attraction in Dubrovnik. The fountain was built between 1438 and 1440 by an Italian architect, and channels water from an aqueduct 12km away.
A series of fountains actually right inside the main gate. You can fill up your bottle with cool and crisp water or simple refresh yourself from the hot Dubrovnik summers. I was glad to have this nice oasis and the water tasted sweet and fresh! I would say one of the cooler water of city!

A strange, covered fountain. Basically a water dispenser with a bunch of spouts. Not that scenic, but made famous by instagrammers and you tubers. Good news is that the water coming out of the spouts is potable and free.
Dubrovnik's cable car provides an exciting way to take in panoramic views of the old city from a high point. The service has been completely restored and is now a must-see for visitors. The best way to enjoy the view is by gliding to the top on an ultramodern cable car.
One of the best ways to get a full view of the old town and other parts of Dubrovnik is this cable car ride. Runs every 15 mins, take you to the top where you can view from the telescopic lens located at the top. You can even view the details of Lokrum island from there. The ride is short but smooth. View from the top is one of a kind. We had the bad luck of going on a windy day so couldn’t stay up there for too long without things getting blown away. But totally worth the experience.
Tirthankar Shom — Google review
We waited until sunset and the views were spectacular. No queue’s getting up and down. The cable car takes about 5 minutes to get to the top. Lots of viewing spots. We got a cocktail in the restaurant while it got dark and the views are just as amazing at night. Worth the ticket price.

Fast, easy way to view the coastline of Dubrovnik. Plenty to do and see atop the mountain. make sure to get your tickets ahead of your visit or enjoy a guided tour of area. ( we used VIATOR and had a great guide w/approx. 15 total people. MORE Local Information this way. On our visit we had one day, The tour was lots & lots of walking. Be prepared !

This is an absolute great experience top to bottom. This would be a 5 star review but.... two things, first they have one person printing tickets, that person could not process enough tickets between cars to fill the cars to capacity, thus a line. Second the person is printing a 3 part paper boarding pass and credit card reciept for each group of 2. Not green at all, very wasteful use of paper and trees.
As for the experience... great, the viee is amazing, and the gondolas are fast and clean. Try to get a front or back row seat so you get a full view!

The cable cars go often an the ride up is very quick. I would recommend getting the tickets in one of the official sellers such as information points to skip the queue while you're there. The price is about £10 one way. We hiked down but that seemed quite dangerous so would probably recommend taking the return ticket. The views from the top are amazing, especially the sunset.
Paulius S — Google review
Easy way to travel up to the mountain. It's better to buy the ticket online so you can skip the long line. It will take about 2-3 minutes each way.
There is really nice view to the whole Dubrovnik especially to the Old Town.
PS. You can also travel to the mountain with taxi and it's lot cheaper. This way you miss the nice cable car view, but it's budget option.

Really great views when you get to the top. There's a gift shop and toilets in the centre at the top. Tickets cost €27 for a return trip. The best place to buy tickets is at the little booth where you queue for the cable car. The booth accepts cash and card. I can't remember if you get discount with the Dubrovnik Pass but worth asking. There was another place that sold tickets, kind of in an underpass store, but they added an extra fee on top, so I wouldn't recommend buying it from there.
Leanna S — Google review
Great experience whilst in Dubrovnik. Fantastic views from the top. There is a restaurant at the top, toilets and seating. Smooth ride both ways. Staff are helpful and friendly. You can buy your tickets at the entrance. If you buy them at the other booth on the way up, they add €2 for service charge per ticket.

Amazing views - must stay for the sunset! Great view of the mountains and obviously the waterfront and old town. Went in the off season and there were probably 5 other people in the 2 hours we were up there
Lauren Hatch — Google review
You MUST do this in Dubrovnik, especially if you have limited mobility like myself. It's the best way to see the most upon arrival. We arrived by cruise ship and needed to walk a short distance to the cable car entrance (just a small ways past the walled city entrance - e.g. GOT filming area). There's no need to buy tickets in advance or through shore excursion travel agencies, as it is readily available at the kiosk at the Cable Car entrance and is usually much cheaper on site. You buy a RT ticket and it's a short ride up. Once up there are shops, restaurants, and several look out areas including a large Christian Cross... I'm not sure what this area is called, sorry. We took pictures and just sat up there and enjoyed the view. Nearby there's an area to rent 4x4 ATVs for tours... we aren't the adventurous type, nor were we in the season, but it is an option. Enjoy the views and take it all in.

A must if you are visiting Dubrovnik. It’s not cheap €30 return per adult. But so worth it. Buy the tickets directly not via one of the many agencies as it’s cheaper. We went at twilight for some amazing sunset views. Worth highly recommend
Matt Wallace — Google review
Great experience! The views are amazing and you have plenty of time to enjoy them, despite the journey being only 4-5 minutes. The car can rock a bit from time to time but it’s incredibly well maintained and safe. It did seem a little ridiculous when buying tickets that we were charged 2€ extra as a “transactional fee”, probably just a way of ramping the price up. Tickets are the same price online as they are in person so buy them however you prefer to. The views from the car and from the top of the mountain warrant the price however.

We did the cable car up to the most gorgeous view of Dubrovnik from the highest viewpoint in the area ,it wax a short ride up maybe 5 minutes and smoothe ride ( not scary) would recommend!
Christine Markopoulos — Google review
Stunning, no other way to put it. We went up right before sunset (as that was recommended to us by a friend) and it was worthwhile. There is a lovely view once you get off the cable car but the best view can be seen by walking out from the little visitor area to the left. If you go down the dirt road to the end, you have arguably the best view of Dubrovnik. While there is a closer path/view, the one we had allowed for an unobstructed, breathtaking view.
There also is an option to go off road quad riding, which would have been fun as well. We went as the last tour of the day was wrapping up and we would have considered doing this, had we known about it before hand.
We were able to buy our tickets from the counter at the bottom of the cable car without needing to do it in advance. I believe this would only work during “off peak” (we went in late May) and perhaps it would be worth booking ahead of time during peak season (June-August).
Jonathan H — Google review
It's a one in a lifetime activity for the city, a must I could say, with breathtaking view from the top of the hill and during the uphill - downhill journey.
The only negative part is the very high pricing policy, with neither reasonable graduation, nor family tickets options (from 7€/up to 12y they charge 27€/12+y).
Marios Topalidis — Google review
Not worth the ticket. The views from the top aren't good because they are obstructed by the cables. Alternative: take the bus 17 to Bosanka (last stop), walk 1 km following the same road the bus came from. You will find an easily recognizable rocky spot with the best views, for a fraction of the cost.
