The museum has information about animals native to rajasthan and surrounding areas right from the big cats to snakes, scavenger birds and insects. We loved the visit nd the plave is quiet well maintained and very informative.

The Rajiv Gandhi Regional Museum of Natural History located in Sawai Madhopur, Rajasthan, near the Ranthambore National Park, is a great place to learn about the plants, animals, and geology of the western region of India. The museum demostrate a well-laid exhibition on the wildlife of Ranthambore and the famed Ranthambore Fort. There are also effigies of tigers, leopards, black bucks, sambhar deer, and spotted deer, as well as a live village scene and a prominent portrait of Ranthambore Fort. Whether you're a nature enthusiast or simply looking for a fun and informative outing, this museum delivers. The exhibits are well-curated and provide a wealth of knowledge about the region's natural heritage.
Few things to note:
The museum is open from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Tuesday through Sunday. It is closed on Mondays.
The museum is located about 9 km from Sawai Madhopur. You can take a taxi or rickshaw from town.
The museum is not very large, so you can see it in a couple of hours.
Unlike many museums, the Rajiv Gandhi Regional Museum boasts free entry, making it an accessible and budget-friendly option for all.
The museum is a great place to visit with kids. There are many interactive exhibits that they will enjoy.
A great place to learn about the natural history of the region. The exhibits are well-done and informative.
The museum facilities are basic and lack a cafeteria or souvenir shop. Come prepared with water and snacks if needed.
The museum's exhibits delves deeper into the natural wonders of the area. From intricate dioramas showcasing the local wildlife to detailed geological formations, there's something to pique the curiosity of every visitor. Unlike some museums that offer a generic overview, the Rajiv Gandhi Regional Museum focuses specifically on the Western region of India. This allows for a more in-depth understanding of the unique ecosystems and species found here.
Final Verdict: The Rajiv Gandhi Regional Museum of Natural History might not be a grand spectacle, but it's a hidden gem that deserves more recognition. Its informative exhibits, focus on regional knowledge, and interactive elements make it a perfect place to learn, explore, and appreciate the wonders of nature. It holds a treasure trove of knowledge about the region's diverse flora, fauna, and geology. I searched on Google for tiger safari and Safari Tour india page came up, i got number of Farjan bhai and he told that i will show you tiger 100%. Amazing safari organised by Farzan. We booked a very last minute trip to Ranthambore and travelled for Jaipur on a day return. We were worried we could not get a ticket as it was sold out on the official website. Farzan came to our rescue and booked us a ticket for the next day. The taktal ticket, also known as emergency tickets are a little more expensive but was as a result of us booking late. We had to send money in advance via bank transfer as we have no access to paym so were a little worried about this but everything worked out well. When we got there our taxi stuggled to find the villa but it is down a small lane, once you find this there are signs to the villa. Our guides were great and Farzan booked us tickets for zone 3 which is known for being the best area and we got to see one of the tigers hunting. It was a great experience overall and would highly recommend booking with Safari Tour India.

This is my second visit to Ranthambore I did not spot a tiger this time I have seen experience is amazing The Ranthambore safari is one of its kind where the drivers and guides are equally enthusiastic to give you a glimpse of the royal highness of the jungle. We had a glimpse of the King taking his stroll in the bushes, but he was shy to come in the open this time. Spotted Sloth Bear, Dhol, serpent eagle, hawk eagle, fish eyed owl, Indian byson, Nilgai, a Mighty Sambar Stag and a lots of spotted cheetal. Overall it's a great experience. Thanks Moin bhai and thanks to all Safari tour india.

Honestly worth more than 5 stars. The tour guide and company owner Farzaan bhai was a true joy to have as company along our safari journey, river adventure and our local sightseeing host. Besides being a good host, he is a fantastic and charismatic human being and displays his positive image throughout the time me and my family had spent with him. He greatly helped our family members in comforting them, especially our senior citizens and younglings. Overall, I was very satisfied with the company and Farzaan enthusiasm and would really recommend you to choose his company for any experiences you wish to do. He truly is professional throughout what he does.

I recently had the pleasure of embarking on a safari adventure with Safari Tour India, and I am absolutely thrilled to share my outstanding experience. From the moment I inquired about their services to the final moments of our safari, every aspect was handled with the utmost professionalism and warmth.
The owner, Farzan, sets the tone for excellence with their hands-on and approachable approach.
Throughout the tour, Farzan was actively involved in ensuring the smooth operation of every detail. Their passion for wildlife and commitment to providing an enriching experience was palpable, making the journey all the more enjoyable.
We were a party of 5 visiting Ranthambore during the New Year. Farzan went over and beyond getting us tickets to the safari knowing fully well that are party included 2 senior citizens who could only board a Gypsy (availability of the same during new year's was impossible for us to get). However, Farzan was able to secure our booking and provide an experience we will cherish for a lifetime.
I must commend Farzan for being not just a business owner but a gracious host. Their personal touch and genuine interest in ensuring our satisfaction made the entire journey feel like a once-in-a-lifetime adventure. It's rare to find a tour company where the owner is so hands-on and approachable, and it undoubtedly sets Safari Tour India apart.

Hotel Ranthambore Heritage , Ranthombore road, Front of Ranthambore Mall, Sawai Madhopur, Rajasthan 322001, India
The Ranthambore School Of Art Society showcases impressive artwork that mostly features nature and animals, with a particular emphasis on tigers. The paintings depict the beauty of life in vivid detail, and the artists are truly talented. It is an amazing art school worth visiting for those who appreciate such works of art.
Sure shot way of tiger sighting in Ranthambore.
No guessing for what is Ranthambore all about. Yes – tigers. This time we saw tigers of a different variety. Not in the jungle, but on canvas, dexterously hand painted by the students of the Ranthambore School of Art.
Ranthambore School of Art is an art school, exhibition and gallery all in a small single story house. This is off Sawai Madhopur on Ranthambore Road. While we had heard about this place, given the very little publicity they do, locals were not very aware of this place. It was per chance, while driving on the Ranthambore Road, we came across a modest signage which led to this institution of the truest sense. We walked in and saw painters sitting in front of large canvasses with menacing big cats looking back at them. It is a totally different issue that these tigers were brought to existence by these artists who were blessed with photographic precision. One could identify single strands of hair in some of these paintings.
Ranthambore School of Art is more than 20 years old. During our visit, we met Mr. Ram Sahay who is one of the founder members of this organisation. He was extremely forthcoming and shared interesting details. As with everything Ranthambore, the artwork here was geared towards wildlife. In fact, the institution was established with the aim to protect tigers. Students come here to learn as well as senior artists sit here and create paintings some of which are on sale. They showed us huge canvasses as well as small painted postcards. Given the life-like paintings, it was difficult to believe that these were results of a wood and hair brush and not any digital medium. In addition to tigers, birds and other wildlife, the artists also paint diverse subjects. We loved the painting of Jesus in all his compassionate glory. Incidentally, there was no effort on part of the art school to make a sale. This made us very comfortable.
In addition to painting, the artists from here routinely hold workshops in schools, museum and nearby villages to create awareness about the tiger.
While jungle safari is the primary activity, a visit to the Ranthambore School of Art is an offbeat activity in Ranthambore. One doesn’t need to be art aficionado to appreciate the sincere work here. We believe a good piece of work has a universal language, it breaks boundaries. Ranthambore School of Art does just that are we are humbled to have an opportunity of witnessing this first hand.

Tiger/wildlife art is present all over the place in Ranthambore but what sets this place apart is you get to interact with the artists and interns that are actually in charge of creating the art. Also they seem to use sturdier canvas than what was on display in most other places. The charm of hearing the stories behind each painting adds a personal touch that was missing in other exhibits in Ranthambore. Also this is an NGO. We bought two pieces. Highly recommended.

Good art work is done here, more of nature and animals, specifically Tigers, life in the paintings
Santosh Kumar — Google review
Please note this place can also ship and send u the canvas u desire and takes orders for paintings of animals and accept online payment too, all definitely worth any amount of money... Now for the review of the place...
A small space.. but so full of soul. For people coming to connect with nature here.. and with animals... This place provides u portraits that allow u to peer into the lives and souls of these animals... Like a photo but so much more it appears...
Probably because of all the work that goes into recreating a photo. But that effort in the viewers mind translates to a emotional bond with those animals.
Lovely people too and overall a very wholesome experience from the most unexpected of places.

The Sawai Madhopur Lodge – IHCL SeleQtions is a luxurious resort with a restaurant and bar, an outdoor pool and spa, as well as gym facilities. The grounds are large and landscaped, with attractive rustic furnishings. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the food was excellent. Overall, it was a very enjoyable stay - highly recommended!
Had the perfect stay at Vivanta Sawai Madhopur Lodge.
Everything was beyond our expectations.
The property is very beautiful.
We stayed in the Allure Garden Suite. The room was big and spacious.
The food was very delicious and the buffet has quite a large offering to choose from in all 3 meals. It was so nice of them to make Rajasthani Kadhi-Kachori and Besan Gattey ki Subzi especially for us even when it wasn't there in the buffet.
They have bicycles that you can take with you to your room when you check-in and you can ride around the property and keep the cycles with you and return them while checking out. This was quite nice. There is also a children's play area and a few games like Table-Tennis, Badminton and Pool Table.
The swimming pool is small but very neat and clean. We enjoyed a refreshing dip in the pool to relax after our Safari.
But the best part was your service and hospitality. The staff is so sweet and they take such good care of every little request of the guests that I was bowled over by their warmth and kindness. They literally went out of their way to cater to every little request of ours and I am not exaggerating when I say that I have never seen such a level of service anywhere in the world.
I would personally like to mention and thank your team members Mr. Robin, Mr. Keemat, Mr. Omprakash, Mr. Rajendra, Mr. Deepak, Mr. Krishna, Mr. Babulal, Chef Sanjeev, Mr. Sharif and Mr. Hanuman for being so helpful during our stay. They are truly Superstars and a great asset to your property.
It was one of the best hotel experiences we ever had and we are definitely going to stay in Vivanta whenever we visit Ranthambore again. Well done

It's a big beautiful property but the food is horrendous. Especially for the prices they charge. I've stayed at various IHCLs as well as Taj properties but food here was really not upto the mark. The pool is not maintained at all. The only good thing about the property is it's size and gardens. The high tea is better in other hotels in this area too, which is disappointing as they charge much more. This was my 2nd visit to Ranthambore and I expected much better from a Taj brand property. My compliments to the service though, the staff is incredible.

You have some properties which are just perfectly priced and excellent value - and this property is one of those.
Once upon a time this was a hunting lodge for the royals. It is now taken care of by the Taj group.
Extremely cozy and very laid back.
The staff was exceptional and made you truly taken care of at home. Like a bigger brother whose house you are visiting.
Food was excellent as well and the property was well kept and very clean.
Service was impeccable and nothing was too much trouble.
We were travelling as a family of 4 including 2 children and found the two bathrooms in the room both quaint and very useful.
If you are looking for a laid back property where you and your kids would be really pampered and well looked after, I would highly recommend this place.

I knew my son was safe and therefore I didn’t have to constantly monitor him. Zaid helped me to find my mobile that was left in the safari jeep. A huge thank you to all the staff for a great service.

This is the first time I visited Ranthambore and our stay at the - Sawai Madhopur Lodge was nothing short of exceptional. This is an old property which makes it very quaint with a classic touch. We stayed in the main building suite and the rooms were large and very comfortable. The large terrace attached to the room was very very nice and an additional bonus. Socking the winter sun on the terrace every day was just - blissful!
The highlight of the whole stay was the service - very very industrious and accommodating staff at the reception, housekeeping, and the restaurant - everyone made our stay as comfortable as it gets. Food at the restaurant was very very tasty and surprisingly a wide variety of items was available. Everything from food to the staff to the whole place had a very homely charm to it so everything felt very personalized. We had an amazing time here and would always want to come back!

Absolutely splendid property. We could only get a spot at the dinner table during the peak December season, and we loved every bite of it! Coming back for the wonderful food and service in our next trip to the house of tigers!

Three rooms and property is beautiful.
But if you are a foodie, then sawai madhopur is definitely not the property to stay. The breakfast standards are below a 3 star property.
For example - Idlis are hards, cold cuts are dry, Cakes and below average, paranthas are flavorless etc etc.
For ala carte menu - the soup we ordered in our 2 days was totally different in taste and quality.
And if you try the hakka noodles. You will be surprised and shocked. Its the worst noodles i have ever had.
Chicken dishes were average.
Salad given at table was dry. It seemed it was cut in morning and served in evening.
The dosas were as thick as a naan.
And the evening high tea. The sandwiches served are pathetic.. dry and not Taj standard at all.
Overall i am surprised how TAJ hotels have this as an acceptable standard.
I have been staying in Taj properties since years and have always loved the food, service, time etc.
This one is the terrible experience as i am a foodie and expected more.
In short it's a complete no for food if you love your food.

We went to Sawai Madhopur Lodge by Taj on 21st May'23. We were greeted very well by Manmeet. It was our 1st anniversary so the staff decorated our room and sent a delicious cake.
We also enjoyed the evening in the property by witnessing bangle making, pottery, magic show and beautiful paintings of tigers. A staff member named Kunj was so humble and sweet. He took our pictures and was present to see if we need any help, whenever he saw us around. Thankyou so much Kunj.
I was touched with a small gesture by Neha, she was taking our order on the second day and she remembered that I ordered coffee before so she said, " Would you like to have coffee like yesterday". People who remember tiny details without any personal motive have our hearts.
Furthermore, when we were checking out, we had to catch the train in half n hr. Our hotel was 3 mins away from the railway station. So I asked the staff at reception to arrange an auto or taxi to drop us. They said the auto will charge Rs 500. We were shocked, so we decided to find a taxi or auto ourselves. We were heading towards the exit gate, the security guard Mr. Ratan S ji was so gracious that he asked us why are you leaving without a taxi or auto, he personally put an effort to arrange a transport for us. A big thankyou to you Ratan S ji. We were touched by your effort and you won our hearts.
Overall experience was amazing, we'll try to come back soon.

I must say, it was an incredible experience. Mr. Ajay's assistance in securing tickets for the safari made our trip seamless and hassle-free. His prompt and efficient service truly enhanced our stay. Additionally, Mr. Gopi Nath's attentive and friendly demeanor while serving us, along with the delightful gesture of offering a complimentary brownie to my son, left a lasting impression. The entire staff's cheerful disposition and efficiency in attending to our needs made our stay even more enjoyable. Their constant smiles and swift service truly made us feel valued and welcomed. I would highly recommend Savai Madhapur to anyone looking for a memorable and delightful getaway.

We stayed at this property for 2 nights, the service was exceptional. The staff went over and above to make us feel comfortable. Special food was always prepared for my toddler, they pampered him fully. Staff members Parveen and Rajendra Singh ji did their best and have set a new high in hospitality.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights for our visit to Ranthambore National Park and enjoyed our stay thoroughly. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable with big bathroom. Breakfast was very good. We had dinner on all 3 days and the menu was different every day, which I liked the most.
All the Ranthambore tiger safari vehicles pickup from the hotel itself. Seating in the open vehicle in January is very cold and the hotel provides blankets to cover during the drive. They can arrange safari tickets if needed.
The hotel is a bird watchers paradise. It has a lot of big trees and I saw many variety of birds including Owl. It has a big compound and lawns at the central area, nice to walk around or relax.
Above everything is the Taj Hospitality. The staff are very polite, friendly and helpful. They take individual care of all guests and made me feel at home. My special thanks to all staff of the hotel for making our holiday so memorable. I would definitely like to stay at this hotel again.

We stayed at Taj Sawai Madhopur Lodge for 4 days as a family of 4 with two kids aged 14 and 9. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay and the facilities - nice open lawns, outstanding food, good gym and sports facilities including cycling, Table Tennis and Badminton which the kids loved and above all, outstanding service!
The stay at Taj Madhopur Lodge redefined the meaning of luxury and hospitality for us as we got exposed to true Rajasthani style service. We never got a no to anything we asked (within reasonable limits, of course) especially in the dining room. They were able to serve everything from pizzas and pastas to Chinese to authentic Rajasthani dishes at our wish!
The service was outstanding and would specifically mention the following -
(1) Ashish at the Front Desk
(2) Babulal-ji, Rajendra-ji, Deepak-ji and Swastik who were at our service in the dining room
(3) Praveen-ji who enthralled us with really interesting stories about the Rajasthan royalty as well as amazed us with his knowledge of tigers in the Ranthambore Reserve.
Would strongly recommend the place for a leisurely but fund and sporty holiday and great location for tiger reserves as well.
The one highly undersold location is Ranthambore fort which is blew us away - a 5th century fort which has never really been conquered... ever! Strongly recommend a visit to the fort and hiring the services of a local guide who explain with great pride, the nuances of how the impregnable fort is an ingenious work of art!

Excellent experience overall. The staff are top-notch, from Ajay the manager, Manmeet at reception and the smiling security staff (who make sure your safari is loaded with blankets, water and giant umbrellas) when it rains, Krishna, Rajendar and the rest of the restaurant staff to housekeeping. Housekeeping staff are extremely alert - if you leave your room for 5 mins, it will be cleaned.
Beautiful property with birds everywhere, from Parakeets to owls to bats.
The only negative is that there is loud music coming from outside the property on certain evenings which takes away from the forest experience. I'm guessing most properties in Madhopur will have the same problem.

We went there to have some snacks and enjoy the evening !! The staff was extremely courteous.. I actually did not have to worry about my 3 years old kiddo as the attendant was playing with her.
We'd ordered a variety of food and everything was fabulous.. it might even be due to the serene environment.. In case you really wanna relax and enjoy the nature this is the best property to be at.
We plan to stay here whenever we visit next time.

We didn't have a chance to stay at the Sawai Madhopur on this trip but decided to stop by for dinner four days ago. It was great from start to finish. We went straight to the bar where Praveen makes the best martinis in India! Just to be sure we had several. After a few cocktails we went outside and sat by the fire and were captivated by the stories of tiger lore. We were joined by another of Sawai's staff Noman and he and Praveen gave us much of the background of the park and the stories behind the various tigers and their progeny including the infamous maneater Tiger-24. There is a special about T24 on most of the streaming platforms that Noman helped to make. Making our way inside we had one of our best meals in Rajasthan (close to the Raj Mahal at the Oberoi Rajvillas). The food was delicious from start to finish and a great representation of everything Rajasthan has to offer and great value. Thank you Praveen and Noman for the great service and interesting conversation. Thank you chefs in the kitchen for an extraordinary meal!

Village Women Crafts is a store that offers an extensive collection of locally made handicrafts, including quilted jackets, embroidered tees, stoles, dupattas, and artwork. In addition to these items, shoppers can also find various artifacts such as handmade table runners and wooden showpieces. The store is well-known for its paintings of tigers which are a must-see for shopping enthusiasts. Visitors are advised to bargain and ask for discounts or freebies before making their purchase.
A great spot to visit for handmade goods. A group of families work together to make the items sold in the store. When we visited a group of women were working on all different sewing projects outside. There are three indoor spaces that have paintings, rugs and fabric goods. The selection is impressive and the quality is impressive. The buying process felt supported but not pressured. They pulled things out to look at and held things for us to decide about until we had visited all three areas. The packaged things up very well and are able to ship them home if you don’t want to carry them back. Great spot for shopping in Ranthambore.

Jogi Mahal is referred to as one of the places in Rajasthan where tigers used to rule. This is because of its close proximity to the hub of tigers - Ranthambore National Park. The Mahal is located at a distance of 500 meters from the Ranthambore Fort. It is considered as one of the oldest heritage buildings in exanse of Ranthambore. The Mahal made its way as a hunting resort for the royal families. The royal family used to spend some time at the Jogi Mahal in the course of their hunting expedition to the nearby forests of Ranthambore.
Despite being a hunting abode in the middle of the forests, it had still been designed with the classic Indian style of architecture. The Mahal gets intricate design elements and architecture will surely be amazing for the visitors. It is adorned by a picturesque surrounding of the second largest banyan tree in India and a pristine lake.
At the present times, tourists choose to spend some in this Mahal to take a rest in the middle of their Ranthambore tour. The availability of food and water at this place makes it more favorable for tourists and spending some time in this place will certainly rejuvenate your souls as it did for the royal families for ages. The Mahal serves as a testimony to the amazing age-old traditions of the royal family of Rajasthan as it stands as a reflection of Rajasthani architecture and intricate designs.

Trinetra Ganesha Temple is a unique temple as pointed by other reviewers. Another interesting fact is that the people in the region also send the first wedding invitation to Ganesh ji in this temple.
How to reach: it is situated atop Ranthambore fort at a distance of around 6-7 km from the main town. The entry point is through the national park and then there is approximately 15 minutes of drive. The narrow road is made of stones so the ride is going to bumpy and you have to be very careful while going up. After the ride, you'll have to hike for another 15 minutes to reach the temple. There is a parking lot at the base of the fort.
A local committee charges 20 rupees for vehicles.
Hike and the fort: 15 minutes of easy hike majority of which includes the walk on the stairs. There are many temple inside the fort including Annapurna temple, Kalika ma temple, Sita Ram temple and a Jain temple. You get beautiful view of the forest and the lake from the fort.
Timings: I visited the temple on 3rd October 2022 at around 1PM and it was scorching hot. So I would recommend people going there in the morning, the temple remains open from 06:00 Am to 04:00 PM.
Trinetra Ganesha Temple: the temple was divine and the murtis of Ganesha ji and family were marvellous. There are a few shops near the temple and you can buy water, sweets and snacks. However, the temple administration should focus on maintaining the cleanliness.

Visited Ganesh ji temple in June 2023. To visit this temple you will need to go from Ranthambore fort. It requires at least two hours to visit with family. You will find many photo shoot locations while visiting this temple. Ganesh ji is seated in this temple with Devi ridhi and Sidhi and his sons. Avoid going to this temple on Wednesday and Ganesh chaturthi as these days there is a huge rush. You can also visit nearby Kalika temple, Shri laxminarayan temple etc. I would surely recommend this place while visiting ranthambore. Photography and videography is strictly prohibited 🚫 inside temple.

A Divine Trek with Majestic Views. I recently had the privilege of visiting the Lord Ganesh Temple nestled atop an ancient fort, and the experience was nothing short of awe-inspiring. The journey to the temple begins with a trek up to the summit, a path that not only tests your physical endurance but also rewards you with nature's beauty at every step.
The Lord Ganesh Temple atop the ancient fort is a hidden gem that marries spirituality with nature's splendor. The invigorating trek to the summit rewards you with both a sense of devotion and breathtaking vistas of the encompassing mountains. A truly divine experience amidst nature's embrace.

Ganesh temple located at the top of a hill inside the world heritage Ranthambore fort
There are many steps to the temple along the fort, so though the journey is scenic, it can be challenging for elderly. Also, you can get a guide as there are many of them offering their services.
The place is surrounded by beautiful scenery overlooking the Ranthambore tiger reserve and mountains and valleys.
The temple is simple and modest. You'll find ample of small shops, cafes and sellers of offerings and garlands as is the norm outside all Indian temples.
Beware of the monkeys though as they can be pretty aggressive at times

Ganesh temple was good. You gotta climb a few fort stairs to reach there. The disappointing thing was that people have littered there a lot and scribbled the historic walls. Imposing charges on entries and banning plastic will make it even more amazing. I will highly recommend to visit the fort as well as the temple.

Trinetra Ganesh Temple in Ranthambore fort is a remarkable place that holds a fascinating history. This temple, which is approximately 724 years old, houses a unique Ganesha statue that isn't man-made but a natural creation that emerged from the rock itself. The sight of this ancient statue is awe-inspiring and instills a sense of divine connection.
Legend has it that Lord Ganesha revealed himself to a sage who meditated at this very spot, thus giving birth to the Trinetra Ganesh Temple. Over the centuries, the temple has become a sacred destination for devotees seeking blessings and fulfilling their heartfelt wishes.
However, visitors are advised not to trek during peak hours of the daytime, especially in summer, due to scorching temperatures. It's essential to stay hydrated and take necessary precautions to avoid any health issues during the journey. Make sure to reach temple before 4 pm as there is no entry after 4pm.
When planning your visit, make sure to carry enough cash, as the temple's location might result in no network coverage, and online transactions are not possible once you reach the temple premises.
In conclusion, Trinetra Ganesh Temple in Ranthambore is a place of spiritual significance with a mesmerizing natural Ganesha statue that leaves a lasting impression on its visitors. Devotees are sure to find solace and fulfillment in their prayers if offered with a pure heart and sincerity. A visit to this sacred site is a unique and spiritually enriching experience, but proper planning and timing are essential to make the most of the journey.

Nice Place to visit, Temple is at the top of a hill inside World Heritage Ranthambore Fort. You can experience a nice view of Padam talao and Yogi Mahal. Approx 10 km from Sawai Madhopur you should hire a cab and have spare 3 to 4 hour time to visit and experience, the way to the fort is from Jungle Area, many temples are there inside the fort. Ganesh temple is a must visit thing.

The Trinetra Ganesh Temple is situated inside the Ranthambore Fort, and is famous as one of the oldest temples in Rajasthan. It is the only temple in the entire world which houses the entire family of Lord Ganesha while his statue consists of three eyes.

The Ranthambore National Park, located in the Sawai Madhopur district, is a well-known destination for wildlife enthusiasts who want to observe tigers in their natural habitat. Once a royal game reserve of Maharaja, this scenic park also houses various ruins. The best time and areas to spot these majestic animals are Sector 4 & 5 during evening safari. The forest provides an excellent safari experience with knowledgeable guides and drivers who have expertise in locating tigers.
That's great to see the tiger in the sector 4 & 5 at the evening time. Nice forest to have safari with a great safari experience. Driver and guide both were too good with lot of experience about the tiger spotting.

The tiger reserve in Ranthambore has over 80 tigers currently residing along with jackals , mongoose , crocodiles , bears , deer and hyenas. The place has lush greenery and a beautiful atmosphere. The place is serene and there is a 70% chance of spotting a tiger. Though it's recommended to visit any zone from 1 to 5 but preferably go to zone 2 as it has many watering holes thus there are higher chances of finding a tiger. We found six tigers on day 1 and three tigers in day 2 both in zone 2. The tigers are majestic creatures and the national animal of India. I advise you to please maintain the decorum in the reserve and don't scare the animals. You can go to the reserve via gypsy or canter. It is beneficial if you ride a canter. Rest assured you will love the experience. Enjoy the nature retreat.

Avoid booking through unscrupulous agents.

Taj-ul-Masajid, located in Bhopal, India, is one of the most magnificent and iconic mosques in the country. Its name translates to "Crown of Mosques," and rightfully so, as its grandeur and architectural splendor make it a crown jewel of Islamic architecture in India.
Construction of Taj-ul-Masajid began in the 19th century during the reign of Sultan Shah Jahan Begum of Bhopal, but it was later halted due to lack of funds. It was not until the 1970s that efforts were resumed, and the mosque was finally completed in 1985. The mosque's design is a harmonious blend of Mughal and Islamic architectural styles, featuring imposing domes, towering minarets, intricate marble carvings, and ornate calligraphy.
The main prayer hall of Taj-ul-Masajid is awe-inspiring, with a vast central courtyard capable of accommodating thousands of worshippers during prayers. The prayer hall is adorned with exquisite marble flooring, intricately carved pillars, and beautifully crafted mihrabs (prayer niches) that point towards the direction of Mecca.
The mosque's exterior is equally breathtaking, with its imposing facade adorned with intricately carved arches, domes, and minarets rising majestically into the sky. The central dome, in particular, is a sight to behold, with its elegant silhouette and intricate detailing.
Taj-ul-Masajid not only serves as a place of worship but also as a cultural and educational center for the Muslim community in Bhopal. It hosts religious lectures, Quranic studies, and other educational programs aimed at promoting Islamic knowledge and values.
Beyond its religious significance, Taj-ul-Masajid is also a popular tourist attraction, drawing visitors from all over the world who come to admire its architectural beauty and learn about its rich history. The mosque's serene atmosphere and stunning architecture make it a must-visit destination for anyone traveling to Bhopal, offering a glimpse into India's rich cultural and architectural heritage.

Beautiful mosque. Very massive beautiful carvings and colors. Very peaceful at the same time. The tree inside in the compound is pretty too.
Iwo Dubaniowski — Google review
The Taj-ul-Masjid largely takes inspiration from Mughal architecture. The mosque has a pink facade topped by two 18-storey high octagonal minarets with marble domes, an impressive main hallway with attractive pillars, and marble flooring resembling the likes of Jama Masjid in Delhi and the Badshahi Mosque of Lahore. It has a courtyard with a large ablution tank in the centre.
THE MOSQUE ALSO FEATURES A ZENANA(women's gallery ) RARE GIVEN THAT PRAYER FROM HOME WAS THE NORM FOR WOMEN AT THE TIME OF THE MOSQUE'S CONSTRUCTION.
The structure is constructed in the midst of three water bodies, namely: Munshi Hussain Talab; Noor Mahal Talab; and Motia Talab.
Narendra Pratap Singh — Google review
I was fascinated by the beauty of Taj-ul-Masjid even though I could only see the outer structure. The white marble exterior was stunning, and the intricate carvings were truly awe-inspiring. I could tell that a lot of time and effort had gone into building this mosque, and it was clear that it was a place of great importance to the Muslim community.
I was also impressed by the sense of peace and tranquility that I felt when I was standing in front of the mosque. Even though it was locked, I could feel the energy of the place. It was a reminder that even though we may have different religions, we can all come together to appreciate beauty and peace.
I would love to visit Taj-ul-Masjid again one day and be able to go inside. I am sure that it would be an even more incredible experience.
Here are some thoughts I had while visiting Taj-ul-Masjid from the outside:
I was amazed by the beauty of the mosque. The white marble was so pristine and the carvings were so intricate.
I hope to visit Taj-ul-Masjid again one day and be able to go inside. I am sure that it would be an even more incredible experience.

Gohar Mahal also known as Gauhar Mahal is a splendid mansion of historical significance situated on the VIP road of Bhopal in the state of Madhya Pradesh. It is rightly located on the bank of Upper Lake. It is much similar to a Mahal. It is a best example of the perfect amalgamation of exquisite Mughal and excellent Hindu architecture. It is situated just behind the famous Shaukat Mahal. In this city, it is the most sought after place for hosting different types of cultural events, promotional and art exhibition and colorful fairs. It is one of the prominent tourist destinations for domestic and foreign tourists throughout the year.
Gohar Mahal is a magnificent architectural edifice of Bhopal. It is a perfect blend of Mughal and Hindu style of architecture. A majestic look is still retained by the archways of the palace. It is considered as an architectural gem of the state. This palace is one of the finest examples of archeological excellence of past era. The naming convention of this Mahal came from her name. This palace is a symbol of communal harmony. Qudisiya Begum was a great admirer of art and architecture. The interior and exterior of the palace is really stunning with its designs, decorations and religious patterns.
Gohar Mahal was built in a successful manner by Qudisiya Begum in 1820 on the banks of the Upper Lake in Bhopal. She is the first woman ruler of Bhopal. She is popularly known as Gohar Begum. In 1819, she successfully ascended the throne of the erstwhile princely state after her husband assassination. In 19th century, she was an unprejudiced woman ruler who directly rose to power without any struggle. She shouldered the responsibilities and duties of the princely state of Bhopal with a lot of perfection. She is an unbiased queen and an efficient ruler. Amongst her subjects and region, she as well respected and popular. She is considered as India's first woman's-libber by the historians. She was much modern and liberal in her outlook. With the Begums of Bhopal, Gohar Mahal became the center of political and administrative power.

There are 2 courtyards present now. There is an artificial water fountain in the second courtyard. Overall a good place. Mostly permission is till 1st courtyard. Built by Sikander Begum in the year 1860, the beautiful Moti Masjid is an important historical landmark of the Muslims in Bhopal. The architectural design of the Moti Masjid has a striking resemblance to the famous Jama Masjid in Delhi.
History of Moti Masjid
Behind the history of Moti Masjid lies the history of one of the most significant characters in the history of Muslim women in India, Sikander Begum. Being a relatively liberated and progressive woman compared to the time in which she lived, Sikander Begum had built roads, bridges and a number of graceful and elegant monuments such as the Moti Masjid in Bhopal .The Moti Masjid was built in 1860 and since then it is one of the most significant landmarks in Madhya Pradesh.
Description of Moti Masjid
The Moti Masjid, Bhopal is a relatively smaller sized monument hat was built in the year 1860 by Sikander Jehan. The mosque has two dark red towers with golden spikes. The architecture of the Moti masjid resembles the Jama Masjid in Delhi. Because of the sparkling white façade, The Moti Masjid is also called the Pearl Mosque.
How to reach Moti Masjid
Bhopal can be easily reached by regular flights and trains from different important cities such as Delhi, Gwallior, Mumbai and Indore. There are also daily buses to Bhopal that take the tourists to this walled city. Moti Masjid inside the city premises of Bhopal can be easily reached by any transport, local or private.

Moti Masjid is one of the many mosques located in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. Even though the mosque is relatively smaller in size as compared to the other exquisite and historical monuments that stand majestically in the 'city of mosques', the Moti Masjid is of equal importance. This famous historic landmark was built by Sikander Jehan Begum of Bhopal, daughter of Qudusiya Begum, in the year 1860. Sikander Begum was an unconventional woman who abolished slavery and set up the trend of the progressive woman in the entire city. Popularly known as the Pearl Mosque, the mosque is located in the heart of the city and represents the rich history of the Bhopal Begums in India.
The architecture of the Moti Masjid in Bhopal has a striking resemblance to the architecture of the Jama Masjid in Delhi, except for the size. The Moti Masjid features a white marble facade with two small cupolas on the top. The two dark red towers on either side of the primary structure of the mosque are equally beautiful and fascinating.
The easy accessibility of the Moti Masjid through both local and private transport makes this place a popular attraction that tourists love to visit. The mosque is best visited in the early morning hours when there are fewer people here, and one can pray in silence and peace. A typical visit to the Moti Masjid lasts for about an hour or so, and the excursion can be coupled with a visit to nearby attractions like Shaukat Mahal, Van Vihar National Park, Lower Lake or Birla Museum.

The city of Bhopal is often called the city of mosques due to the presence of a number of historical mosques and monuments within its walls. One such mosque, relatively smaller in size but not less important is the Moti Masjid. Built by Sikander Begum in the year 1860, the beautiful Moti Masjid is an important historical landmark of the Muslims in Bhopal. The architectural design of the Moti Masjid has a striking resemblance to the famous Jama Masjid in Delhi

Very beautiful place..though in the heart of the city, once I went in I can sense the peace... the white marble along with the red stones are eye capturing... it's not that much big as Taj ul masjid but looks great... every day 5 times prayers are offered... during prayer time non muslims have to wait till the completion. The staff is so kind and explained the history...there's a school.inside the premises..

Bhopal - 'The City of Lakes', is particularly famous for its important shrine of the Moti Masjid that is located here. The history of the mosque is associated with the liberating deeds and thoughts of its builder, Sikander Begum, who is well known all across the globe for her liberal nature. Sikander Begum brought about a revolution in the territory and initiated architectural development. It was under her aegis that roads, buildings and monuments were built in Bhopal, Moti Masjid being a major one amongst them.
Sikander Begum is also well known for her courage and bravery. She used to dress up as a man and would go out riding without a veil. She set up the trend of progressive women in the city of Bhopal, and the Moti Masjid bears testimony to this rebellious, liberated and progressive woman.

The Taj-ul-Masajid is a mosque situated in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, India. The construction of the mosque was started by Nawab Shah Jahan Begum of Bhopal, in the newly-built walled suburb of Shahjahanabad.
The Taj Masjid largely takes inspiration from Mughal architecture. The mosque has a pink facade topped by two 18-storey high octagonal minarets with marble domes, an impressive main hallway with attractive pillars, and marble flooring resembling the likes of Jama Masjid in Delhi.

There is no word to describe a national park, I came here after like 12 years and it is been a amazing development since. Thanks to the authorities.
One mistake I made earlier is to try walking.
It is not that you can't walk that long. Its this beautiful animals come and go within short time so you better have bit more mobility to get glimpse of them.
Its better to rent a cycle which is best experience to ride this in this nice road or get pass for your vehicle
I think Best time is before evening 4 to 5pm. Usually during this time animals like tiger return from ally to their keepouts and you may better chance to have glimpse of these animals.
Although regardless of your sighting wild life, one trip near lake and greenery will be worthwhile.

This place is not managed well and there are very few animals which you can count on your figures. There are the places of some animals with their name but the animals are not there. It is in secluded area which causes network troubles. For someone, who enjoys getaways, this museum is a must visit. They have preserved so many cultures from various states and places in a magnificent way. I visited the place for volunteering duty at one private event, we enjoyed as a group of people gathered for spiritual and health wellness getaway session. The place is very calm and soothing.

"Museum of Man" - It's one of the go-to places in Bhopal for tourists as well as the locals and I've also been to this place multiple times since my childhood.
This is full of Anthropology and you will get everything here related to the origin of Human beings starting from the very 1st man on the earth. This also has a few areas dedicated to some of the specific tribes/peoples and the way they used to live initially with limited resources.
Overall a nice place with 2 gates , one on the Shyamla hills and the other on the Lower Lake.

Museum of Man" - It's one of the go-to places in Bhopal for tourists as well as the locals and I've also been to this place multiple times since my childhood.

The IGRMS is a anthropological museum that preserves links and research ideas about the origin and social relationship of human beings long ago. The entire museum is spread over an area of 200 acres of land and is very huge. The museum is close to the famous Demonstration Multipurpose School in Bhopal and also near the Upper Lake. So we accessed it through t he lake view road. The time I visited was during the ongoing open exhibitions in the museum. I went round the museum and also learned that the museum holds different types of exhibitions throughout the year. Indoor galleries, special exhibitions, periodic and temporary exhibitions, traveling and online exhibitions are few of them.
The museum is very close to the Upper Lake, and therefore it attracts large number of visitors daily. It also contains a rich variety of ancient resources collected from every nook and corner of India. The museum has a large library where I found few of the best compilations that represented the history and evolution of the country. There is an indoor museum which depicts the life style of the people who lived long ago. From the collection of weapons they used food, utensils and clothes they wore, everything is preserved in the museum. There is also the dummy structure of the kinds of houses the ancient human beings used to live.
The Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya is located on the Shamla Hills in Bhopal. So the view from the hill top to the entire city was picturesque. The lake also provides a good recreational area where I sat for a long time before returning back for the day.
As traveling is what I do whenever I get some free time, I was truly impressed by the information I have gained from the museum visit. I was truly happy that I made a good decision to bend my interest toward visiting one of the ancestral monuments of India.

The Tribal Museum in Bhopal showcases the traditional art and culture of the seven major tribes in Madhya Pradesh. The museum is a must-visit for anyone interested in Indian tribal culture and heritage.
Museums are an extraordinary medium to cultivate a more profound comprehension about our historic, natural and cultural heritage as they collect, preserve and provide value to objects that hold significance to our rich artifact. It would be worth mentioning that Capital city Bhopal is enriched with 11 museums. I am taking you on a museum trail in Bhopal through this post. It covers Tribal Museum.

This is truly a MUST VISIT in Bhopal, I loved every bit of it. Hats-off to the creativity and the hard work that has put in to make this place Most beautiful and amazing.
Wow doesn't sum up for the beauty it offers to the visitors to see and add into their memories. Starting from the entrance until the shopping area that is in the exit everything is marvelous, the wood, handicrafts, the bamboo, the clay arts. I decided not to use my phone while walking through each halls on both the floors as i wanted to enjoy every art. I just could not close my eyes looking at them, it gives chills, spooky vibes, positivity and the happiness. So I took another ticket to capture some of beauty.
I had a snack and coffee in the restaurant, it was very tasty. The shopping outlet has some amazing handmade painting that one can buy as souvenir. Overall, it is an incredible place that one must visit as they love it for sure like I did.

If you are a museum person then you should visit this museum without even a second thought. The Museum is located in the hill area, the ticket is 40₹ and 100₹ additional for cameras. Even for mobile photography, they do charge which I found very odd.
To explore the museum you at least require an hour or so. The artwork inside the museum is extraordinary and marvellous. Some of the artworks are kind of tedious to understand and will blow your mind.
The tribal part is also taken care of very beautifully, I almost liked every part of the museum which was very different from than rest of the museums I have ever visited.

The Madhya Pradesh Tribal Museum is a unique museum in Bhopal city that showcases tribal life. It features an impressive collection of tribal clothing, crafts, and tools. The museum also has spaces for events and performances, including an open-air auditorium and a closed one. Additionally, it houses an art gallery, a library for select members, a souvenir shop selling tribal art, and a cafeteria.
The museum contains several articles made by tribal people in Madhya Pradesh. The items are exhibited in an orderly manner. 🙂 Walk through the impressive entrance and prepared to be wowed. So much work and effort has gone into presenting the individual characteristics of tribes indigenous to the state. Recreations of village home life, beautiful representations of creation, & other stories - truly wonderful. A little more lighting in some areas would have allowed closer examination of some exhibits. However, the explanations in Hindi and English were excellent. A huge space that flows well and easily accommodates a large number of people.
