An impresive sight. I recomend it.

Interesting sight with a lot of history. Warning though,do not take the 1 km road through the forest to the Giants Tomb or if you do, make sure you have proper shoes and water. Way easier to walk on the main road or take the car, especially if you have a packed day ahead and you need to save time and energy.
Silvia Elena Feldiorean — Google review
If you are vacationing on the Emerald Cosst this is an absolute must see. You can park the car next to it so it is very convenient. It is very well restored and preserved.
Donatella Polizzi — Google review
Interesting ancient historical site. Well worth visiting. Only takes a few minutes to get around

Beautiful place, good to imagine what have happen thousand of years before. Parking was free, but there is no toilette.
erzsébet pozsár — Google review
Very impressive antique village. So well preserved and so many different buildings are located there. It is interesting, in my country, Bulgaria, we have one similar landmark, it is smaller that any one building in the Nuraghe La Prisgiiona. I know, there are very few places like this all over the world and i am happy i had seen two of them.
Plamen Kolev — Google review
One has to understand that 3500years of weathering alone does not help any human structure and this one is very well preserved. It is worth visiting together with a mass burial place and it would be enough to give you impressions about the life of the bronze age human.
Vladan Milosevic — Google review
beautiful place, so much to see: a big tower, very well conserved, and several small cottages. you‘ll get a short information sheet you can even take with you to walk around (we received it in German and Italian).
ticket costs 3.50€
there is a very nice walk to the site from the gravesite, just follow the singe on the left side of the street. it leads you through the fields and trees, about 15 min.
The Giants' grave of Coddu Vecchiu is a remarkable megalithic site in Arzachena that has been well-preserved. It features a Bronze Age burial ground with large stones flanking a tall central stele, making it one of the best-preserved Giant Tombs on the island. The tomb can be easily found with signs leading to it and admission costs 4 for an adult.
A very interesting visit to this megalithic tomb, which was likely once connected to the Prisgiona nuraghic complex a few meters away, with excavated materials dating to the Bronze Age and the Copper Age.
We visited at 6:30pm (the ticket office and site shuts at 7:30pm) and we were the only people there making it very relaxing. Ticket prices to see one monument are €4, or you can book to see more monuments (i.e. 3 monuments for €10) but you have to state at the time of booking which monuments you specifically want to see, as they are then listed on your ticket.
It was a nice and short walk to the Giant’s Tomb - approximately 5 mins, and then probably 5 minutes of time walking along the tomb.

Interesting but fairly small ancient historical site for preparation of funeral remains

Impressive Neolithic monument, well restored. Easily accessible. Also visit the remarkable village just 1km down the road

Bronze Age burial chamber, worth a visit.
Motownkat — Google review
A small place - but worth to visit - in particular as part of the multi-ticket deal for the archeological sites in Arzachena
Eric Berberich — Google review
It is one of the best preserved Giant Tombs at the island. It can be easily found since there are signs everywhere. The ticket cost 4€ for an adult if you want to visit just the tomb, but I recommend you go visit also the nuraghe La prisgiona- 10 minutes walk from the tomb, ticket for both goes for 7€/adult
Kamila Červená — Google review
It worth to see. Noce historic area from Neolitic age. Also very close to another archeologic site, Nuraghe.
From Arzachena is just about 15 minutes.
They provide free guide service on spot.
Enjoy

Its unique harbor serves as a haven for sailors and features an old fortress with breathtaking views of the sea. Bonifacio and also the whole south of Corsica are to be seen and experienced in every way. We chose the right place to do it because our holiday in the apartment "Faro di Capo Testa" in the fantastic Bonifacio was just as we wished.
The apartment is a tastefully decorated jewel in an extraordinary location in the old downtown of Bonifacio and very well located to reach the key points, restaurants and shops of the town. Although the streets are always full of days and nights, the apartment is very quiet and we really got a good rest each day.
A small balcony, overlooking a small square, invites you to have an aperitif in the open air watching the people passing by and admiring the white cliffs located exactly in front of the apartment. The landscape from this point is simply breathtaking and one the best of the town.
The cleanliness of the apartment deserves a good 10.
Meticulous in every detail detail, Federica has managed to make our stay in Bonifacio a really pleasant and unforgettable experience. She was always very professional and helpful in her advices both before and during our stay.
Highly recommended with all 5 * * * *

The Escalier du Roy d'Aragon is a unique tourist attraction in Bonifacio, featuring a steep and narrow rock staircase that leads down to the sea. Accessible only from the top, this impressive staircase boasts 187 steep steps that were carved by Aragonese troops during the siege of 1420. Visitors can enjoy breathtaking water and boat views as they descend the stairs. The area also offers great spots for taking pictures and some wonderful small restaurants.
No wait at all at the beginning of April. Downside, everything around is still closed or getting ready to open.
Hard to go up. Be prepared.
Hugo Alonso Luis — Google review
Superb place. Great view and some wonderful small restaurants. You can walk around for a huge stretch along the mountain top next to the sea.
Shreyansh Jain — Google review
At first u might think why the helmet? But then u get to the stairs.. it is really steep an can be dangerous if u are out of shape! It is worthwhile! Once u get down the views are amazing, but then u have to climb it back up, which is the hard part!
Pieter-Jan Elias — Google review
The view is beautiful. Over the sea and ships as well as from the sea over the stairs and city.
Plamen Kolev — Google review
Going down those stairs was a bit scary, and I did nearly get an asthma attack but hey the view is worth it!
There is a nice breeze by the sea, and the view is beautiful!
Careful not to slip!
Taysa GZD — Google review
So. There were A LOT of steep steps which would have been acceptable if they had actually led to the famed well. But unfortunately, the end part of the cliff walk was fenced off. Complete waist of 10 euros and I had to have a sit down afterwards.
John Gocher — Google review
Great experience descending the stairs and a great view. You should be aware, however, that although there are only 187 steps, many of the steps are as high as two steps usually are. Especially older people or anyone who is not in good shape should consider going down the steps, especially in the hot months.
Didi K. — Google review
Beautiful, but very heavy traffic. If going go either very early or after 4pm. It doesn't take more than a few hours to walk around and see everything
Catherine Crichton — Google review
A must for a visit of Bonifacio. Worst the steep steps decent and ascent. But pls wear proper shoes (no Havaiinas, or loose sandals). Fair pricing for adults and kids below 6 are free of charge. The visit fit perfectly in a day visit of Bonifacio. Enjoy!
Stefan D. — Google review
Such a nice experience! Going down those stairs was really nice and scary at the same time time as there was some water on the stairs. The view is super nice, from the top and also when you reach down. They open at 10, I went there I the morning and was not crowded. I enjoyed taking a lot of pictures
F. Zefi — Google review
Well worth the five euros they charge to go down. You have to put on a hardhat as there are some low hanging rocks above your head most of the way. Very steep descent so you better be prepared to go back up! There are 188 steps not all of them are equal in size some of them are pretty steep. Once you get down to the bottom there are some amazing views of the cliffs and the rocks ahead. The water is gorgeous and it’s such a serene view. The path is narrow but it’s definitely worth the trip.
tony villa — Google review
A totally unique experience to go down the calanque staircase to get to a point to walk along the side of the Calanques to see the turquoise sea. Definitely worth the 5€ and to go early when it opens to avoid passing many others participating in the same experience.
Kristy Thibodeau — Google review
Quite high 180 steps to climb. 2,50 euro entrance. Nice view indeed. Don’t do this in hot summer if you’re not in normal shape or have bad knees
Spiaggia Rena Bianca is a scenic beach consisting of picturesque white sand and shallow turquoise water, surrounded by cliffs and hills. It offers an ideal spot for scuba divers and snorkelers due to the abundance of marine life in its clean waters. The beach is safe for children to swim in due to its shallow waters, making it perfect for family-friendly adventure. Being 300 meters away from the village, it is equipped with all necessary amenities but can get crowded during peak season.
This place was really really nice, very clean beach with beautiful sand you can either sit there for free or pay to sit on a sunbed, it has a beach bar in the area. It was perfect and way better that the photos you will see on Google.
Marios — Google review
Beautiful beach in a sheltered cove in town. Two paid parking lots in town easy walk to the beach. Packed like sardines but the water is great and it's worth a few hours stop.
Ariel Schuetz — Google review
This is the BEST beach maybe in the world! I am so in love with Rena Bianca, I wish no one ever heard about this beach so I can be the only one swimming here. The water is so clean it’s unbelievable. It is warm, the colors are insane, there is a path you can take on foot and look at the beach from the top.
Of course the beach is overcrowded. Sardinia has the most overcrowded beaches in the world. It wins the 1st place in overcrowdedness lol
But seriously. I’ve been to Mallorca, and in Greece and Cyprus, and in Italy people are the worst. They will walk all over you, they don’t care about the tourists, it is their land and you are nothing to them. Nothing.
But! Rena Bianca is worth being stepped on, pushed aside, and fighting for a small place in the sand for your towel and fighting for a spot in the mini parking lot. This beach is better than La Pelosa in Stintino.
I love you Rena Bianca!!
Jelena Jo — Google review
Terrible beach! There are so many nicer ones in Sardinia. This one is packed and difficult to get a spot
Nina T — Google review
Beautiful white sand beach with crystal clear water. Tight on space, especially in July.
Alessandro Pedicelli — Google review
The beach is amazing, great water and good landscapes event though I wouldn’t recommend to go there in July or August. The beach is tiny and there not a lot of free spots to put an umbrella, also finding parking space can be tricky. I can’t give less than 4 stars because the beach is really beautiful but there are some but’s
Achille Marzocchi — Google review
Overall a beautiful beach - but in my whole life I've never seen a beach as crowded as this one, incredible. Especially with Covid going around it's a bit scary. Hard to find a spot that's big enough to unfold your beach towel. That said, our visit was in August. The beach must be amazing when it's low season.
Thomas Anselmino — Google review
This beach is one of my favorite beaches i’ve visited in Italy so far. The water is very clear and waves aren’t strong. You can snorkel and watch the fishes once you swim a bit deeper. The water is crystal clear. The only con would be that it’s very crowded, but still worth it.
ji aya — Google review
Beautiful beach with fine sand and crystal clear water. In the main season the beach is really crowded. Toilettes (free), food and drinks are possible to purchase at a kiosk.
Really family friendly beach

Stunning beach in the local area of Santa Teresa.
Water nice and cool , very clean with clear waters.
Be aware that it gets extremely busy form early morning , therefore be ready for some intimacy as people stay very closed to each; honestly we did not mind as we spent loads of time in water and walking around as there were interesting paths leading to great scenery and observatories.
Must visit !
Gianluca Barone — Google review
Very lovely beach with clear turquoise water, but it gets Soo busy, you need to be there early in the morning to get a spot. Umbrellas are really expensive comparing to other places in Sardegna. However it is worth the visit.
Magdalena — Google review
Awesome beach, very central and easily accessed..
Marlon Rossi — Google review
Public beach with white sand, walking distance from the city center, good for small kids - no waves - and snorkeling on the sides - a lot of small fishes. Always crowded during the summer. Paid toilet and shower available.
€ 35.00 / day with 2x beach chair + 1x umbrella in the center of the beach or free area on the sides.
Jefferson Andrade — Google review
This beach is absolutely stunning with different shades of blue and Corsica in the background. We got here around 10:30am on a Sunday and it was starting to get crowded. Paid Parking easily accessible, around €1 per hour. We rented 2 sun beds for €35 for the day!
Natalia Pang — Google review
One of our most favorite beaches in Sardinia. Clear water, big waves if windy weather, soft sand, there is shower, ice cream just cross the road! Welcome to heaven!
Beautiful beach, with clear water and nice waves. Disneys Arielle was filmed in this place. Paradise Beach Bar was also a good possibility to have food and drinks and a toilette.
Luisa — Google review
It was so beautiful! Have a little walk to the beach, don't be scared just a little walk and the view is so amazing. Have a drink at the bar on the right side and enjoy the view here!
Marijn Kunst — Google review
The beach looked nothing like the pictures, and it was a very sunny day. We ended up going to Rena Bianca which was much nicer. The water was dark and the waves were so strong no one was swimming. The view is nice but not a great place to go swimming that day as the waves made it dangerous.
ji aya — Google review

skilltester0001 — Google review
Super windy beach with lots of areas of seaweed on the day I visited. Red flag and waves, good for Kite surfing but not at all swimming or sunbathing in the otherwise pretty sand.
Posibility to hike along the coastline cliffs.
Parking really close, gets full pretty fast. Another (free) parking in the village by the square with Supermercato and Cafes. 10-15 min walk between parking & beach.

Our favourite beach in the Santa Teresa for both the clear water + how easy it was to park and walk from the car park to the beach. We visited in June and car park was free.
Not crowded at all for a Sunday compared to other beaches in the area!
Located in south Corsica, Plage de Roccapina is a stunning beach that attracts fortunate visitors with its perfect white sand and picturesque surroundings. The beach is like a stage at the base of the surrounding mountains, where dense vegetation cascades down the green hillsides. Golden glints of sunlight dance on the rocks during the day, creating a breathtaking view. One of the highlights is a lion-shaped rock formation that serves as an impressive backdrop to this remarkable beach.
Be careful, you need to take a gravel road to go next to this beautiful beach. Alternatively one can park the car in the main street and walk to the beach for about 30 minutes. The water is crystal clear. A true beautiful beach. There's nothing around, don't forget to bring your own drinks and food.

This beach is perfect. Fine white sand, cristalline water and amazing rocks that surrounds it. Bumpy-dirty road to get here, but I managed with a regular car. Just drive carefully. If you have a low car, maybe you should avoid it.

2.3 Km drive on a bumpy dirt road reward you with a beautiful beach, a cross between Seychelles and Maldives. White sands and rocky boulders, lush green mountains and turquoise waters. The car park can get full very quickly.

The beach is indeed amazing, it was crowded when we arrived and wow, if you’re in a car with a chassis low to the ground and more than 2 travelers GOOD LUCK driving down from the main road T40.
We were 2 in a standard vehicle but we followed a long line of cars with passengers that had to get out of the car at every “bump”.
I’m amazed that roads like this even exist without a warning sign but they in fact do so know before you go, the voyage down and back up IS A SAFARI, you’re best off in an SUV or a 4x4.
The people who choose to walk down from the main parking lot have a 30-45 minute hike dodging cars that are making their way up and down. It’s definitely not the most ideal way to end a day at the beach.
That being said, amazing views, nicer voyage for those traveling by yacht or catamaran I imagine 😉

This is a really beautiful beach. It’s not the biggest and you can only reach it down a terrible potholed track but it’s perfect if you like undeveloped beaches. Soft white sand and a crystal clear turquoise sea with small waves. There are several places to park. Some better than others. It’s very busy during the July and August period but it’s more peaceful in the off peak months. And of course there is the Roccapina lion rock overlooking the bay.

A lovely beach, nice shallow and warm water. The color color of the sea is incredible, turquoise!!! The road is not so good, no asphalt. Not crowded

Beautiful beach at the end of 2km off-road. Can be done with normal car. Quite popular but also huge, so you don't have sit on each other. No service or toilets.

Wonderful beach with very crystalline water.
Only pity was the huge number of boats anchored quite near the beach
The Plateau de Cauria is a captivating and remarkable destination known for its rich collection of ancient artifacts. Nestled amidst the picturesque bush landscape, this high plateau offers visitors an opportunity to immerse themselves in the wonders of prehistoric history. Although the last stretch of road leading to the plateau may be slightly uneven, it is well worth the journey. In terms of facilities, there are none available on-site.
This place is a really nice and interesting location filled with prehistoric artifacts.
On top of the artifacts you will be wandering through the bush landscape of this high plateau.
The road is a bit bumpy on the last 10km, but worth the ride. There are no facilities at all.

(Translated by Google) Magnificent protohistoric site with two rows of menhir statues (I Stantari & Renaghju) and a superb dolmen (Funtanaccia). But these are not the only attractions of this beautiful little walk of about an hour. Some exceptional specimens of cork oak are also on the path as well as a magnificent grove of holm oaks sheltering a chaos of Cyclopean rocks that will delight children. The path also passes through a small semi-swampy area at certain times and follows a very pleasant loop in the middle of pastures and archaeological sites. A real treat not to be missed. On the way back to Sartene, also make a detour to Bilia to admire the fortified site of Alô Bisujé.

Worth a visit if in the area. Allow 2hrs for the visit. Park your car at the car park by the main road and walk the remainder of the way up the single track road. Not expensive entry and the site is well kept and clean. Would definitely recommend.

This archeological monument is run by two lovely women. The entrance is charged 3€ for adults and 1,5€ for kids. It's worth it, though. The landscape is beautiful and the view is as well. Nuraghe majori itself is an interesting building of Sardinian architecture. In the area are toilets and a little souvenir shop. They give you a paper guide in various languages (even in Czech). From the parking it's a 5 min walk.

Costa Paradiso, located north of Isola Rossa, is a breathtaking coastal area characterized by its wild and scenic beauty. The region boasts stunning beaches and rugged granite cliffs that meet the emerald sea, creating a picturesque landscape. As you make your way around Costa Paradiso towards Santa Teresa Gallura, you'll encounter numerous tiny inlets and coves waiting to be explored.
La Marinedda is a stunning beach located near Isola Rossa in northern Sardinia. It is surrounded by red granite rocks and Mediterranean shrub, offering a long stretch of beautiful coastline where visitors can freely set up their umbrellas. The beach is popular among sea sports enthusiasts and hosts an annual global surf competition. With pristine water, shallow depths, and vibrant colors, it's ideal for swimming and snorkeling.
Playa la Marineda it's a nice beach close to Isola Rosa. If you don't rent a car it's not easy to get to Isola Rosa from Alguero. We had to change 3 busses to get there and it took a whole day. Having this in mind, Isola Rosa and it's beaches are nice. You just need patience to get there 😂
There are some beautiful beaches around such as La Marineda. The wind blows pretty hard there so it's a good spot for surf.
It's a nice and relaxing beach, big enough.
Surrounded by rocks and green hills, this beach it's a great place for you to take pictures.
Sunsets here are amazing.
I recommend it if you visit Isola Rosa and it's beaches! Good food at affordable prices. You must try the pizza, ohh the pizza was delicious!! And the ice cream! Try the figue ice cream! Enjoy!! 😋

Roccia dell'Elefante, also known as Elephant Rock, is a remarkable natural formation located along state road 134 in the Castelsardo area of Sardinia. This large rust-colored boulder, about four meters high, bears a striking resemblance to a seated elephant. Not only is it an intriguing sight to behold, but it also holds archaeological significance as it contains two ancient Fairy Houses used for burial rituals thousands of years ago.
Definitely recommend it to visit when you're in Sardinia! Couple on minutes drive from Castelsardo. It's free as being on the side of the road. Parking is easy and free we got there around 11am in June '19, some tourist but not crowded. Could comfortably take photos. The view also beautiful as always on this island 🌞😁

It look’s exactly like in the pictures. There were only 3-4 people at the time I went which was at 15:00 so i guess it’s not a very visited site.
It was interesting but kinda looked human made it has like tunnels which looked to perfect to be natural.
You won’t be spending more than 5 minutes there since it’s not really big. If you don’t want to lose 5 minutes you can pass by it by car and you will see everything since it’s right next to the road.

Good sized clean beach, with sand and waves. Has a beach cafe for drinks and food if needed, although wouldn't recommend the food there. There's a public shower but you need to pay for it. There are a few beach sellers who are chilled and do not harass you.

The east side of the beach is better, there are no stones or algae in the water like on the western side. Great water and beach, less crowded than most others. Small enchanting village perfect for relaxing, but not many activities to do other than going to the beach or to a restaurant. Walking to Castelsardo is tricky as there is no sidewalk, best option remains by car.
Nuraghe Santu Antine is an ancient Sardinian stone structure that once had three floors and a 24-meter tower. It is a significant part of the island's identity, representing the ancient history of Sardinia. Located in the Sardinian countryside, this massive and silent structure offers visitors a unique glimpse into the island's past. Exploring its interior reveals unexpected hallways, staircases, and different views, making it an intriguing destination for history and architecture enthusiasts.
Must see! Well preserved and presented (lighting and signs around the sight).
There is a free Audioguide-App (Santu Antine) which is perfect: just the right amount of information and length of the audios.

this one is a small but almost fully intact Nuraghe you can find on the island. the ticket price of 10€ can feel expensive but worth a visit if you are in the area. No guided tours were offered on site according to the receptionist at the ticket counter but I saw a group with a guide speaking in Italian. Probably organised tour group. Self explanatory place and shouldn't take more than 30min.

Beautiful ancient construction which still is largely in good shape taking into account it's age. The central Tower has lots of internal tunnels and stairs which lead you to the roof and basement. The latter is fairly big and cool place in both senses of the word... Tickets (adult) cost 8€.

I'm not sure what I was expecting when we bought our tickets, but I got more! This place is so cool! My husband and I could have easily spent hours exploring. From the outside, it doesn't seem like much, but once you go in, there is so much to see. Just when you think you have turned a corner and reached the end, there is another hallway or staircase, so just keep exploring. If you're in to history and architecture, this place is for you. Not to mention the many different views it has to offer! The steps are treacherous, so wear comfortable shoes or even sneakers/boots.

A beautifully preserved Nuraghe in the Logudoro region of Sardinia ( Northwest). The site is well organised for individual or group tours, with a ticket office/souvenir shop, a bar with snacks and hot and cold drinks, and public restrooms.
The full price ticket is 8€, which is fair since it goes to the maintenance expenses.
You can take a walk all around and inside the Nuraghe, up to the top terrace, which offers an astounding view of the valley. There is no wheelchair nor assisted access to the upper levels, that you can reach by a very steep and tall set of stone steps, so keep this in mind when you visit.
There are informative panels all around, to explain the history and architecture of the site.

We visited this place on the route from San Teodoro to Alghero and I must admit that it was worth it. It is one of the most important Romanesque monuments on the island. The structure is entirely made of local stone, with a typical Tuscan Romanesque appearance. Visiting for a small fee inside is possible from April to the end of October. Inside of the church is a small souvenir shop, and a cafe near the parking where we can drink coffee and eat a croissant.

Piazza d'Italia is a bustling town square located in the heart of Sassari, featuring impressive classic architecture and several shops and restaurants. The surrounding buildings date back to the late 19th century, showcasing grandiose styles typical of Italy's post-unification era. Visitors can enjoy a variety of dining options in the square or nearby cafes, especially during evenings when the area comes alive with locals dressed in their finest attire.
Found a note on the ground In front of the main doors. I opened to find the words
"Two corks of Romano equals twice the cheese" I immediately took it to the police.
As there was an open investigation on the matter, I was called in as Lead witness and was promoted to case director. After three long weeks of trail chasing and whiskey sipping we caught them and today they are spending life in prison.

Piazza d'Italia in Sassari, Sardinia, has won my heart with its captivating charm and lively atmosphere. I had a delightful experience here, and I'm excited to share my thoughts.
Nestled in the heart of Sassari, this picturesque square boasts a wonderful selection of restaurants, offering a diverse culinary experience that caters to all tastes. From traditional Italian dishes to international cuisines, you'll find something to satisfy your cravings. The variety of dining options nearby is definitely a big plus!
What truly sets Piazza d'Italia apart is the enchanting ambiance it exudes. The vibrant atmosphere is enhanced by the lively sounds of music, creating a delightful backdrop as you stroll through the square. It's the perfect spot to unwind and soak in the local culture while enjoying a pleasant evening with friends or loved ones.
However, I'm giving it four stars instead of five due to the occasional overcrowding during peak hours, which can make it a bit challenging to find a comfortable seating spot. Nonetheless, the overall experience was still enjoyable and worth a visit.
If you're looking for a lively and gastronomically rich destination in Sassari, Piazza d'Italia is the place to be. Whether you're a food enthusiast or simply love immersing yourself in the local vibes, this charming gem is sure to leave you with lasting memories.

This is most likely the largest and most central square in Sassari. Many of the buildings surrounding it are from the late 19th century, done in a grandiose style by a re-emerging Italy after the unification of the country in 1870. Walled castle dating from the 12th century, at the top of Serravalle Hill & accessed by stairs.
This is one of the must see places in Sardinia because you will regret it. The views from the castle are stunning and unforgettable. Necessarily!
sergiusz pawlowski — Google review
Nice view spot for sure. The city below spreads out towards the ocean. You can see the river winding through the valley. But the castle itself is fairly run down and the artifacts are not very numerous. You can climb to the top of the tower and get a great view as well.
There are some walls and buttresses that remain. But now as many as some other castles I visited.
There are probably 250 steps going up so it's a little bit of a hike. Also, there's no restroom once you get there. They have a sign that says the restroom is temporarily unavailable but the sign looks like it's about 3 years old.

Really great castle! However it was incredibly hot when we visited, which made it hard to enjoy. We stopped at a viewpoint after maybe 90 minutes, overlooking the town of Bosa, overlooked by the Castle of Serravalle. It looked a very photogenic place with painted houses, a medieval bridge and castle on the hill. After plugging the phone back in the sat nav switched from driving to walking so after crossing said medieval bridge we were directed along a rutted path and then to a metalled road up the hillside to the castle. There was no obvious parking so we dumped the car as out of the way as we could and had a quick scoot around the place.
The castle is thirteenth century and is most famous for the fourteenth century frescoes in the church of Our Lady de Sos Regnos Altos. This was the first place with obvious tourists there and there were a couple of tour groups as well as various individuals. Hardly crowded but busier than we are used to! We were probably in the castle for 15 minutes and then got back to the car, drove down the hill following the proper instructions and passed a large car park on a proper road. Ah well. Castle of Serravalle has a complete circuit of outer walls and towers that you can climb but the keep and interior buildings are now gone.

Amazing views from up top this look out point. Cost $5 to enter. They take bank cards upon entry. Climb the top of the tower to get the best views. There is a QR code to read about the tour. Need strong legs to climb the step paths to the top.

Historic site with fabulous views over the beautiful town of Bosa, Sardinia, Italy.
Entry is €5 for adults and €4 for children over 6 years old. The Castle is well maintained. A beautiful place to visit.
Claudia Monteiro — Google review
It is a very beautiful castle that overlooks the entire town. Although it is now declined, it allows you to imagine a castle that once flourished. There is a beautiful fresco in the castle church. I was a little disappointed that I could not climb the tower in the castle. I think it would be nice to be able to go up to the tower with more careful management.

I'd rather call it an observation spot or photoshoot spot - not a castle. Some old walls but with a great views. The price of 4eur it's worth it but I'd expect that if they take a money so they invest In this place. But they don't as you can see on the photo. So you just pay for possibility of seeing Bosa from above - not for sightseeing castle.

A mighty castle on a hill at the edge of town. A path leads to the castle through the picturesque streets of the old part of the city, but you can also access the castle from two parking lots below the castle on the west side of the city.
Cozy inlet with fine sand & shallow water, plus a restaurant & trailer-park campground.
Ecological Camping, EMF free, non electromagnetic pollution. Beautiful beaches. Recommend 100%. This is living in paradise. Stuff are super nice. This first line to the sea cost for 2 adults with car and your tent only 20€ per night, and if you stay more nights you get discounts for the camping and for the restaurant. Camping Ecológico, zona blanca libre de radiación electromagnética.

Very nice sand beach with a pretty view. There is also a Bar/restaurant with friendly service and bathroom. The water was clear and the beach was very clean.
You need to pay for the parking but the beach is free. We went by foot from Bosa: 2h walk but on the road so do not recommend for a big group or with kids!

For camping maybe worth it. But as a beach it not good. Entry fee for a dirty beach filled with old people and crying babies. Water isn't as blue/green as on pictures.

Super little beach by the camp site, bar was really nice. Staff are really friendly

One of the best snorkeling spots in the area: looks like a real aquarium with thriving posidonia, big fish, and plenty of nice openings and holes around the rocks to pry through searching for fish and other things to observe.

(Translated by Google) This place was recommended in Bosa. There is a sandy and a larger rocky beach with baroque and etermin between the two. We were there in April, it was completely empty, but the restaurants were open, although they closed at 3 p.m., only the bar remained, but that's how it is here. Parking is 5 euros. I don't think the place can handle a bigger tome, neither the beach nor the parking lot. I don't know if it's great in the summer, but I think it's worth a try. The staff could not speak English, but they tried to please us. We also got some food.

Ezzi Mannu Beach is a lengthy and sandy stretch of land that forms the boundary between Stintinos and Sassaris municipalities. The shore extends for approximately two kilometers, distinguished by distinctive quartz sand and emerald waters. Unlike several other North Sardinia beaches, Ezzi Mannu does not get too overcrowded due to its spaciousness. It is an ideal spot for snorkeling; children are also safe in the water.
A must if you're in the area .. no sands but beautiful tiny round shaped stones easy to remove and beautiful to feel once you place your beach towels
Very close to Stintino, no problems to park nothing to pay either

Love this beach. White sand, mixed with glossy white pebbles. The water is crystal clear and you enter it stepping on the soft sand. The best thing about it there are no families or loud people here and you can realy enjoy the beach.
Alek Hojnik — Google review
We prefer this beach when in Stintino because is not crowded, is big and is beautiful even on a windy day, like today 23rd September 2022.
Free parking and plenty of spaces, considering though is not full season right now.

It was pretty quiet when I was there, season just finished and you could get half of the beach for your self, REALY nice, crystal clear water, slight breeze, but not much disturbance on a water surface. Perfect spot for a family I would say.

It is indicated that this spiaggia is one of the best near Stintino (after Pelosa of course), we disagree. There are such a lot algae on the beach and in the sea that it is not nice at all to go swimming, even if the sea temperature is great. Nice white sand but that's it...
Audrey LECONTE — Google review
Nice long white coarse sand beach with bar. No waves even in windy weather. Free parking.
Dominik Debef — Google review
Windy, cloudy, seaweed at unbearable quantities. Parking is free, the dirt roads leading to the beach are quite narrow, but fortunately they are one-way.
könig jani — Google review
We didn't understand what the fuss was about. The beach is nothing special, the views over the port and the industrial zone to the right are not adding to its charm. The water wasn't as clear as our local beach near Castelsardo. No showers, no coffee shops, no amenities of any kind. Not worth the travel time.
Spiaggia La Pelosa, located in the Stintino region of Sardinia, is a tranquil ocean getaway with white-sand beaches and calm blue waters ideal for swimming and diving. The beach is famous for its Aragonese watchtower overlooking the sea and exposure to the mistral wind making it perfect for water sports. However, due to concerns about damage caused by overcrowding, access to the beach is now limited to just a few hundred people per day.
Beautiful beach. And windy, very windy. But really, really beautiful.

We visited La Pelosa Beach at the beginning of October on a sunny day. When we arrived at around 11am there were a few parking spaces left next to the La Pelosseta entrance.
Beware of the touts, they will approach you right after you get out of your car and will start selling you the mats, even before you will pick your thinkgs from the car or unbuckle your children, so that is a bit annoying. I thought there would be some official place where you can buy the mats, but I haven’t found one, so ended up buying from the tout. One guy offered me two big mats for 15€ and then was ready to sell for 10€, but then he was gone, so I ended up buying two for 15€ (7,5€ each).
The beach itself is really beautiful, it was quite crowded compared to other beaches we visited in Sardinia, but not too bad.
For those who want to visit in summer but do not manage to get a booking, I would still recommend to visit La Pelosa and Pelosseta just like a sighseeing stop, you can really enjoy the views of the water from above, there is a nice rooftop viewing point, where you can see both beaches. After the stop you can hit some other less crowded beach.
Romualdas Laurinavi?ius — Google review
Very nice beach, clear water, nice view, but it's way too overrated, you have to wake up at 6:00 in the morning to do a reservation for the third day, to enter the beach and it cost 3,5€/person, once you arrive there you have to pay 2€/hour the parking, and if you want to rent sunbeds and umbrella it cost you 35 euros for the third row, and the bathrooms didn't had water so we couldn't use them...
Ramo Istrate — Google review
Beach? One of the best, but full of people, must reserve in advance (see pictures), you can use Peloseta to get to the water...
Parking is charged from 8am to 8pm

Visited in April 2024. Parking everywhere is for free! White sand and crystal clear blue water. One of the most beautiful beaches we’ve seen in north of Sardinia.
Christian Schwarz — Google review
The most beautiful beach I have seen so far.
Water is cristal clear, fine white sand and marvelous views.
You will think you are at the Caribbean.
BUT all good things have a price and the beach is very crowded as well.
ATTENTION!
1. It is necessary to buy tickets online in the web lapelosastintino and the price is 3,5€ per person.
2. It is compulsory to have a beach mat with your tower. If you don’t have there’s people selling them there.
3. If you go by car, which is the usual, there’s parking meter which costs 1,65€ per hour and there’s a big queue in the machines.
To avoid waiting, you can download the app flowbird which gives you one hour for free.
In the case of getting the ticket through the app you find a paper on your car, dont be alarmed, it is just a warning and they later check if everything is good in the app. They even write in the paper “verif app” (it doesn’t have a lot of sense)
4. Expect loads of people
Alexia MC — Google review
Beautiful beach, blue like no other.
Book in advance online first, access from 8 to 18h. Staff will give you a bracelet so you can come and go as you please. Cost € 3.5 per person (July) pets are not allowed, you can not smoke on the beach, you have spots available for that, a mat under the towel is mandatory if you want to lay in the sand. You have access to showers and WC. You can rent Parasol (2chairs+1umbrella €35) or you can bring your own if you want.
Parking is 2.5€ per hour in most area. You can download the app (EasyPark) and pay per minutes too.
Amazing experience, love everything about it.
Great for children, families, couples.
You have to spend the day there.
Beatriz Diaz — Google review
The Maldives of Europe. The waters are so clear it’s an amazing experience to swim there. The reservation is needed for this beach (3,5€) but you can access the waters from other spots without reservation! It’s quite crowded so in my opinion it’s even better to go from the other spots.
You will need luck to find a parking spot if you come around 11:30 like us. Parking cost around 14€ for 7 hours.

Amazing place, must see one of the most azaning places I have seen so far. Water colour and the beach white sand. Great to visit outside the sea on as is quiet enough and during the summer seazon you need to book a space and pay to enter that Beach. This beach was amazingly beautiful. The water was so turquoise and calm. And of course it was packed like crazy. We went in high season August 2019. So I wasn't shocked. But even with the quantity of people, it didn't detract from the beauty.

Great beach but super crowded with families. Good to visit if you have kids since water is warm and shallow.
Damian Zapart — Google review
La Pelosa Beach is a coastal gem that leaves visitors mesmerized with its crystal-clear blue waters and abundant marine life. During my visit, I was captivated by the sight of fish gracefully gliding through the water, creating an unforgettable underwater spectacle right before my eyes.
The shallow waters that extend up to 500 meters from the shore offer a unique opportunity to explore the sea on foot, making it an excellent destination for families and non-swimmers alike. The safe and calm waters ensure a relaxing experience, perfect for unwinding and soaking in the natural beauty.
I rate La Pelosa Beach with 4 stars due to its remarkable water clarity, enchanting marine life, and the convenience of walking into the sea for an extended distance. However, it's worth noting that during peak times, the beach can get quite crowded, affecting the overall tranquility of the surroundings.
Despite this minor setback, La Pelosa Beach remains a must-visit destination for anyone seeking a close encounter with the wonders of nature. The picturesque setting and the chance to witness marine life up close make it an unforgettable coastal retreat.

One of the best beaches of Sardinia, the beach with small white sand, just access need reservations with a cost. You will need to plan your coming before 1 day at least especially in high period, on summer. Not possible to have cotton towel, only woody onces are acceptable.

A must visit beach at the north east side of Sardinia! Especially during summer months and peak times expect to face a crowded beach and need to be a bit patient with finding a parking slot! Move on the side away from the organized umbrella sets and you will find space! The amazing turquoise waters will pay you off in the end! Take a look at the beach from above - enjoy! 😉

A must visit beach in Sardinia. It’s always very crowded, but you can go after 18:00 and enter without a ticket, exactly when crowds start disappearing. Great weather, temperature, sand, views… you can even swim yo a nearby island with a tower! Wonderful place.

Pretty crowded in the morning but clears up in the afternoon. The water is clear and clean the the sand is the finest I’ve experienced in Sardinia. Reservation with at least 48hours in advance is needed & straw mat is mandatory. The beach is also wheelchair accessible
Good afternoon, there was one tour at 10, one at 3 pm that day. Nice tour sailors, really helpful. They maybe could give us more details about the region/environment. Really hot on the boat so don’t forget sunscreen and water!!

Absolutely dissapointing..arrived at the cave and captain said that weather is not good to park the boat. Did not even reach the entrance to see that. At that moment the waves was 0.6-0.8m. They already told while buying tickets that if weather is not good they will just swim around with the boat (like they knew that it will happen from the beginning).

The place is so good and the long boat ride seeing the cliffs was awesome. The boat ride to the caves was 40 minutes and costed 15 euros.

Really disappointed. We took the boat and they didn't say anything bad about the weather. We arrived to the grotto and they decided to go back because of the waves (I found this OK, but is not like they can't know this before going, specially because it wasn't the first boat today and there was another one on the site dropping off some passengers). The trip per se is nothing amazing, it was fine though, we took the boat because there are not buses on Sunday 😢

Spiaggia di Maria Pia is a renowned beach that stretches for over a kilometer, boasting of crystal-clear waters and pristine white sand. Initially created 60 years ago to protect the surrounding crops from the sea, it has now transformed into a popular city park frequented by families, children and even those in search of a training center. The beach offers free entry at all times and impresses visitors with its cleanliness whilst providing numerous bars and restaurants.

Beautiful beach. Sunbeds and umbrellas are available €25 for day. €18 for half day.or just bring your own beach mat. Great snack bar/ restaurant. At times there is a waft of eggs smell from the piles of rotting seagrass. But beautiful white sands and clean crystal clear water. Much nicer than the lido beach which is disappointing.

I like this beach much more than Lido beach. Lido beach can smell bad if the water is not warm enough (due to the algae). The water at this beach is crystal clear. While swimming we saw some tiny fish 😄. Naturally you can find some pinecones and branches on the beach from the trees but it didn’t bother me.

Maria Pia is a lovely beach with white sand, dunes, and turquoise waters near Alghero. We visited the beach when in Alghero for a weekend. As it is close, we waddled there. From the city center, it took us about 40 minutes at a chill pace. My favorite part is the entrance, where you have to go through a pine forest. It's magical. And then the white sand and giant dunes. It is among the best beaches in Sardinia and I agree.
If you don't want to walk there you can take a taxi or the local bus. The beach has all necessities, a bathroom, and bars to refresh.
The beach is also easily accessible with wheelchairs, it has a wooden pathway.

Such a beautiful beach. We didn't expect that a public beach (free entrance any time of the day/night) could be so clean. If you are there I simply recommend visiting it!
Bombarde Beach in Sardinia is a gently curved shoreline adorned with lush greenery and rocky formations. This beach offers plenty of hotels, eateries, and cocktail spots for visitors to enjoy. Unlike some other crowded beaches, Bombarde Beach provides ample space for relaxation even on busy days. The crystal clear water makes it perfect for children to play safely in the shallow depths.
Awesome beach 5/5 I do definitely recommend. Awesome stay, if you go more to the "back" part of the beach, it is not overcrowded. Nice sand, lovely view and blueish hues of the sea💙🌊I would love to go back there :)

Nice beach, partly organized, could find two chairs plus umbrella by request (they were not laid down) and paid 15 eur. There is lots of algaes at the shore and in the water, not extremely unpleasant but because of that everyone was bathing in the same tiny water patch, wasn’t too bothered by it tho. Felt cozy 😂
There is a food/grill/bar that had nice service Jb.

Decent place to go to if you are staying in Alghero.
Gets very crowded during the high season and the parking is payable and there is a free area on the sand where technically you should not park ( at your own risk kind of thing)
Honestly the beach itself is nothing special: very narrow strip of beach with literally people stashed on top of each others.
The water as well was nothing special and with rocks underwater as well.
Certainly better beaches around such as Stintino

One of my favorite beaches in the north of sardegna. You can reach by beach bus from Alghero or by car. Free parking available. Clear, azzure water, you can find pedal boats on the beach. Also there is a bar with drinks and food, quite pricey, but it's understandable. This beach is 10-15 minutes away by foot from spiaggia Lazzaretto, both being the most popular between Alghero's residents. ❤️Pretty crowded even during mid of September

The best beach so far on my Sardinia trip and I’d rate this one higher than Peloso as it wasn’t completely full of people even on a Saturday (went to Peloso the day before and decided against it as people were crammed on the beach).
The water is crystal clear and it’s ideal for children as they can walk in very far. Very small waves only near the beach and the beach itself was very clean.
Enough parking still at 10:30am even got a spot in the shade.
The only thing that one might miss is the fact that there’s nothing much in the water to see (no fishes), so if you plan to snorkel this isn’t the right place. But for a wonderful day at the beach with nearby restaurants this is the place to be!

Spiaggia di Mugoni, located near Alghero in the Sassari province of Sardinia, is a popular family-friendly snorkeling destination due to its shallow waters and variety of fish that can be observed up close. The beach is really good and long. I would highly recommend you to come early morning, because otherwise you will not have umbrellas and sunbeds to rent. Parking for the whole day for 1 car 12 Eur. Sun beds prices -7/8 Eur per one, umbrella - 7 Eur. The great part I loved were the trees behind the beach that provided you shadow in case you are not passionate about sunbathing. The beach is a sort of Laguna so you are surrounded by the islands hills. We have spent a great day over here.

August 2023 : As packed as it was a year before! Car park is 1 Euro an hour, plenty of facilities including free shower. Bars and restaurants. Rentals of equipment too.
July 2022 : Out of season it must be one of the most beautiful place in Sardegna... In high season, it s absolutely packed! Although not too many people do seem to like the sea 🌊 😂, so you are fine if you avoid the sandy beach! Many small food/drink outlets, a few pedalos and boat rental.

This was a nice surprise. Very wide sea 🌊 available for swimming (shallow water till further), emerald green and clean water, lots of beautiful fish in the sea. Clean water and warm and chilled, no waves, just beautiful to enjoy yourself in it.
We paid in June 2023 - 21 eur for front row setup. The gazebo that was taking care of the beach front has also some good basic food (panini and other sandwiches- good prices for a snack). They have shower service 1 eur (you need coin), same for WC.
We chose the Paid parking and it was 1 eur/hour.

It is one of the most beautiful beaches in the Area of Alghero. There Is a large parking spot for 1€ /hour. The Beach is long and sandy, the water is crystal clear with slow and easy access to the sea, suitable also for small babies. There are few bars and a restaurant, some boat or kite surf rent is also available.

Well worth a swim and a few lazy hours. The water is lovely, more a green colour than blue. In the shoulder season it's also not too crowded and it has koisk and a restaurant which is quite good. Plenty of of parking too, but no showers. You can rent a Deck chair and umbrella and there are also kayaks etc to hire.

One of the most beautiful beaches we visited on Sardinia during our stay in August! Of coarse you should visit La Pelosa, but my family is in love with Mugoni beach. Very long white sand beach, beautiful clear water and wonderful view. Shallow water a couple of meters, sand bottom mostly. Spacious parking, 5-8€ for half/whole day.

Capo Caccia is a striking rocky formation that offers breathtaking hiking routes, diving spots, and caverns with archaeological remnants. One cannot afford to miss exploring the famous Grotta di Nettuno (Neptune's Grotto) in this area. Visitors can reach here either by foot or boat ride from ports around the island such as Alghero. The caves are renowned for their stunning beauty and hidden depths, leaving visitors awe-inspired as they explore through crystal-clear waters.
Very nice view onto the ocean.. but unfortunately we came a lil late.. the way to its capo is kinda long.. and there r wild animals.. pigs.. fox.. thats why u should drive carefully.. so we missed the actual drop of the sun - but overall - very nice and calm!

This place is really nice. The views are amazing. But there are a lot of cars during a day so you may spent few minutes with finding a free spot to park. But it definitely worth a visit.

Capo Caccia is one of the most beautiful natural sites of Western Sardinia. Situated not far from Alghero, this rock formation jutting into the sea is visible from far away and adds depth to the horizon that you see from the city. You can combine your trip to Neptune's Grotto with a visit to this area. Some of the pictures that you take if you are arriving by boat will make this natural wonder seem gigantic. That's because as you get closer to the tip, your photo angles are low. Close-ups of the rock will be reminiscent of the heads of some marine animals. It's a magical place.

This place must to be seen, good view and relaxing atmosphere! The entrance for the cave trough stairs is €14, but it worth to see!

Rent a bicycle from Alghero and in one hour you reach this corner of heaven. Great views of the surrounding area. Everyone visiting Alghero should go to Capo Caccia. Stunning view on both of the sides over the sea and the bay!

The peak is not accessible (June 2023) as it's a military area. However close to this location is also the walking entrance (650 steps) to the grotta Nettune (15€ per person, guided tour ever full hour) for which most of the 5 star reviews are.

Well worth the trip , an oxygen tank might be needed for the walk back up
