The Partnach Gorge in Garmisch is a popular hiking destination with beautiful waterfalls and a walkway. It's named for the gushing waters of the Partnach mountain stream, which have carved out the gorge over time. The gorge is significant geological because it was nearly 240 million years ago during the Triassic period that the Alpine muschelkalk layers settled on what was once a shallow sea.
What a fantastic place! The views we saw on the walk were just stunning! Even in winter, this place was worth visiting. Apart from the gorge, there are a lot of tourist routes through the forest. Depending on physical training, you can choose the best appropriate one. I also advise you to take a raincoat if the weather is cold as there are a couple of waterfalls.

Very nice place to hike. The level for this hike would be medium, depending upon when you go to the hike. The scenery along the way is really beautiful, and it is worth the effort.

This is well worth a visit. It's absolutely stunning, an amazing sight to see and walk through. We walked up to the restaurant at the top before making our way back down. Fantastic place with superb views

Really special and wonderful place to enjoy a day. We hike passed the gorge and up a pub the long way (2 hours walk up and down). Reasonable fitness needed. The pub is closed every Thursday. When we go there, the pub is closed. The tables can be used and you can buy beer from a machine. The gorge itself is nice but the hike up the long way is nice walk too. We saw salamanders and woodpeckers and different birds, farm animals sheep and a friendly cat too. The way down quick is by the side of the pub (30 minutes). Bring a raincoat and wear hiking shoes.

It was a wintry cold day and we braved the outdoors. It was a nice memory, although hard with jet lag. Got some good shots.
Because some of the hiking paths were icy, we had to walk on the main road which of course took away from the charming allure. So beware in bad conditions.

A walk through the cave is indeed beautiful! High hills and the turquoise water from the water falling from the mountains & running like a river is Amazing! Safe to walk along with children though narrow space well protected! If you have the Zugspitze Ticket, the entry is free.
JAYANTHI RAGHURAMAN — Google review
The gorge was breathtaking and well worth the 6 euro. When we visited in August, half of the gorge was shut down and there was two-way traffic. This led to a lot of congestion and was very stressful with a toddler. We were not aware of how tight some of the tunnels were, so we brought a child backpack carrier which we did not use because our son would hit his head on the ceiling. We saw several families with small children in the same boat as us. If we could have done the whole trail and not have to double back, we would have enjoyed the experience a lot more. I understand these were unique times, it just wasn't as enjoyable as it could have been. It was still very pretty and I wouldn't mind coming back when our kids are a little older. For those who are new to the area, you can park in the Olympic parking lot for 2.5 Euro and it is a short walk to the trail head from there.
Justin O — Google review
It's an impressive experience.
The path to the entrance is very wide and easy to walk on. In the gorge, however, it is narrow to the rocks, partly through the tunnels. It's also good to have a flashlight, because it's really dark in some parts of the tunnel. A jacket with a hood is also useful, as the water drips heavily from above in some places.
We were there on a public holiday with nice weather around noon. That was probably a mistake as it was very crowded. In narrower places you sometimes had to wait until "oncoming traffic" had passed... I also thought it was stupid that you were allowed to go there with the dogs. I don't think it's a nice experience for the dogs: loud, cramped and lots of strange legs that you have to avoid. Next time I'll go there earlier as it's probably a lot quieter.

Unbelievable place... It is definitely a must visit place and its worth every penny. You won't regret going here.
Just make sure you exit from the same gate you came from if you don't have time or don't want to walk. Cuz if you exit from the other end, you'll have to hike all the way around the gorge.
But if you can I would definitely recommend you to take that route, it is BEAUTIFUL

One of nature's wonders. Awesome place to visit. Regimens getting there early as parking is atrocious. Make sure you have balance and are a little fit. The walk is long and can get strenuous at times. However, the views are spectacular.
Jerry Morales — Google review
Let me just say be prepared for the hike OUT. The hike in and through was amazing. The walk out was the hardest part, and while it isn't difficult, it isn't a short hike. The gorge itself was great and beautiful. Go early and beat the rush, which is what we did, and even then, we had people who wanted to rush through and push you through it. Later, the number of people showing up to enter was crazy and i couldn't imagine trying to even take pictures. We enjoyed the early quiet and lack of people and were able to enjoy a leisurely walk, just letting the fast folks pass us. Take a rain coat, water and snack and you'll have an amazing time.

The place is very attractive. After visiting the cave, you can continue your hike to the forest and return to the starting point. Alternatively, you can return to the cave. If you choose to hike through the forest, make sure to bring some water as it is a steep path. Overall, it was a really enjoyable hike.

Formed by the Partnach River, the gorge features striking rock formations and picturesque waterfalls. The maintained trails and informational signs ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for visitors of all levels of expertise. We went on a hot weekday and it was rather busy, with lots of fellow tourists. The walk up from the parking at the Ski Jump centre took about 20 minutes, but was easy. We booked our tickets in advance, but you could buy them there. There are some places to get some food and drink at the start of the gorge walk, we had some lovely chips and a beer! The walk itself is exciting, but as it was busy there was a lot of stop-and-start waiting for people to pass (the raised pathway cut in to the cliff is narrow) but the views and atmosphere made up for it. Stout shoes and a slight head for heights is recommended, but we saw folks of all ages and abilities managing just fine.

Amazing place. On a busy day, finding parking is a bit hard and one has to walk a bit to get the beautiful views of the Gorge, but definitely worthwhile. Nature at one of it's best. It's enjoyable only in the right season - when there is good water flow.

Beautiful hike up into the gorge. Fun for families but pathway is narrow and not ideal for small children. Better for school age and above. Could be challenging for mobility impaired. Take a rain jacket.

Partnachklamm is an absolute gem near Munich! I was left speechless by the extraordinary beauty of this natural wonder. The stunning gorge, with its crystal-clear turquoise waters and towering cliffs, creates an otherworldly atmosphere. The lush greenery and breathtaking waterfalls added to the enchanting experience. Great experience! Tickets are around 7 euros for adults and 3.50 for kids. Rain coat is a must have, good to have snacks on the go! It does get a bit dark after sunset.

Very interesting place. But risk to go given the wet floor and its proximity to the water falls.
Not good for claustrophobics since you will be in dark and short tunnels.
Dogs are welcome but there is a 2 euros fee.
Cadu Garcia — Google review
we didn't need raincoats or lanterns, the tunnels were lit and at 20° quite dry, two or three drops on the jacket is no problem. It's so beautiful that you don't care if you get wet. The circular route is not easy at all, the climbing is big and quite steep, don't eat your sandwiches before it like we did😆. Otherwise, the view from the top is worth the effort, but some level of fitness is definitely required.

Beautiful place. Might be slippery in the rainy season. At least keep 2 hours for the trip. You are allowed to go to the end and have to come back the same route (can no longer exit from the other end). I saw some people taking their pets. Some were afraid of heights so their owner had a difficult time. And some dogs were trekking like a pro.

Partnachklamm, nestled in the heart of the Bavarian Alps, is a breathtaking natural wonder that captivates with its awe-inspiring beauty. The narrow gorge, carved by the Partnach River, offers a mesmerizing journey through towering cliffs and cascading waterfalls. The well-maintained pathways and sturdy bridges provide a thrilling adventure for hikers and nature enthusiasts.
Visitors should be prepared for a sensory delight, with the sound of rushing water echoing off the rocky walls and the cool mist in the air creating a refreshing experience. The interplay of light and shadow enhances the dramatic scenery, especially during different times of the day.
While the trail can be challenging in parts, the reward of reaching the end and taking in the panoramic views is well worth the effort. Partnachklamm is a testament to the raw power of nature, making it a must-visit destination for those seeking a memorable and immersive outdoor experience in the Bavarian Alps.

Awesome place. The cave gives you a thrilled feeling. After you exit it, there are two options: First option is to take the cave back. Next option is a bit tricky and I felt that the directions were not much clear. In this option you have to hike the mountain and then descend. The trail to go up is not well maintained and at some places it was very slippery. On top there is one small restaurant. Going down is via a well built road, but it is very steep. We could not control our legs at some descends and had to run :)

Such a beautiful place to visit... If this is on your list and you have the time you must absolutely do it. There is a 30 minute walk from the parking lot to the entrance of the gorge. However we had rented e bikes and were able to take them all the way to the entrance and there is a bike lock rack Right next to where we purchase tickets. For 7.50 euros this was an unbelievable walk Just so breathtakingly beautiful. I love the sound of the water I love seeing the sky through the crack. After we got to the end there was different trails to take but we didn't know how to read the trail map in German so we just turned around and went back the way we came to the main entrance to our bikes. I would have loved to have done other walks up and over the gorge as well if there was a proper map provided or signs. Also a bit confusing have to you purchase tickets you have to scan the barcode to go through a gate So hold on to them, Because if you go through the gate at the end and decide to turn around you will need to reschend the tickets to get back in the pathway to the main entrance.
Fuggerei is a housing complex that has been operating for over 500 years, with a museum on-site. It has a rich history and was originally built to house those who couldn't afford their own homes. The complex is well-maintained and during the summer months, the houses are covered in lush green climbers. One of the houses is open to visitors so they can experience what life was like there in the past.
Beautiful historical place with the nice and smooth vibe.
To be honest, I am not fan of museum but I am happy that I have visited this place and got some information and knowledge through visiting this place.

It's 8 euros to visit this establishment but I think it actually should have free entrance or maybe even less entrance charge...1stly non of the original buildings exist...they were all totally destroyed during world 2 bombings by the allied forces...there is a bunker that was built during WW2 with pictures of the city during those tough times...show casing the history of the city... regarding the houses themselves they are occupied by residents....there is a museum showing the patron...it's like visiting a gated community type of thing...
Devan Pulliah — Google review
Not worth the visit. 6,5€ for entering a street with nothing to do really... Yes, the houses here are hundreds of years old, but so well preserved ( and renovated) that there's nothing special to see...

It's a very nice building complex that you better visit in the summer. Unfortunately the museums are rather mediocre and the price of the tickets are high for what is offered.

An amazing community that was started over 500 years ago to help people who wanted to work but could not afford housing. The museum detailing history is a must see, and it is a worthwhile visit for the beauty of the buildings.

This is one of the oldest living settlements. The entry fees is €6.50 and they accept only cash. The whole area can be covered by foot and not much walk also. There is a fast food restaurant inside the settlement and WC.
The history about the settlement will blow your mind and there is a house where you can watch the short movie or listen to audio.
There are also museums which takes you back to 500 years.
Loved our time spent here :)
Visit this place has as it has very beautiful gorgeous green creepers and a lovely charm.

I visited Fuggerei, the world’s oldest public housing complex still in use. While the historical significance is undeniable, I found the €8 entrance fee to be steep for what I experienced. The housing units are unique, simulating living in individual houses, but overall, it didn’t quite meet my expectations.

Highly recommend if you are in Augsburg. Entry is cheap (8 euro for adult, 7 for student) and you can easily spend 1-2 hours there (wouldn't need much longer than that). It is really interesting to read about the Fuggerei and they have multiple museums within the buildings to read about the way people live, and other things like the war. There is toilets located here too.

A place rich with the history that goes back to 500 years. The main reason was to provide shelter to people who could not afford housing. Very well maintained and well illustrated. If you visit during the summer, then you can see the houses covered with beautiful green climbers. They still have a house open for the tourists, so that you can go and have a feel of how it was to live here during the old time. How was the lifestyle of the people in Fuggerei. They have their own small church inside the premises. There are families who still live here. You can walk through the entire area. They accept only cash at the entrance for the ticket of 6.50 Euros.

Andechs Monastery is a hilltop pilgrimage center in southern Bavaria that was established in the 10th century. It is renowned for its Benedictine monks' famous ales, and many tourists visit to sample them. The site attracts large crowds on weekends, but its stunning beauty remains a must-see attraction. Ettal, another picturesque location nearby, offers excellent hiking opportunities with ample parking facilities.
Gorgeous church. You go to Tutzing and take bus 958 which drops you at the base of Andechs. A long incline to walk up. It has a tower that has 13 flights of steps for €1.00. Their food opens at 11:00 and they have superb Haxen. Beer is great. Get there before 12:00 or few seats left.

Loved the beer and pork knuckle! We popped by on our way down from Munich to St. Anton. Will love to head back for more beer in the summer!

I know some people think this place is too tourist, and mass production factory, but I enjoy it...and usually come early before the rush.
Arrive well before noon, ideally 11am...that is when the restaurant opens.
Share a litre beer, share a pork knuckle...they are large and sharing the cost makes it a bit better.
The whole monastery is not open to the public, but the baroque style layout of the church is worth a visit. Slip into the small chapel to tge side, and say a pray of thanks.
Pick a good day, even during the weekdays 80% of the tables are occupied by 12noon

I wish I could rate the Monastery on multiple levels, as a pilgrimage site, a brewery and a restaurant. I hope my pictures do justice to what you will see in the Monastery. A beautifu , prayerful environment. Well worth the time to visit and to refresh yourself spiritually and bodily.

Andechs Monastery was nice. Many people on Sunday. Few restaurants around. Self services and serve by waiter also available but require advance booking otherwise not even half seat available for you. But can always go to self service side. Definitely have to try their beer. Very good and smooth. Their alcohol free beer tasted like real beer and smooth. The monks did a very good job in making the beer. However the cheese made by monk is not easy to find. I couldn’t get to try one. Their pork knuckle are huge! I couldn’t finish. Have to bring another half back home. They have paper bag for you to put the food to take away if can’t finish. Their pretzel 🥨 also very big. However their potato salad don’t looks attractive but their taste very good when eat with sausage and pork knuckle.
Andechs Monastery located on top of hill and they have really nice view too. Many people cycling there but also big parking place to park your car and walk up to the hill with nice things around. Like their herbs (natural pharmacy herbs), their arts..

I lived in Bavaria for five years decades ago and it was such a treat to be able to return with Bavarian friends and show Andechs to my husband and young adult children.
The pretzels, obatzda (savory/tart cheese spread), and beer were delicious, it was so precious to see a service in the monastery cathedral and I found a beautiful little necklace in the giftshop.
Note the famous dopple bock type of beer invented by monks centuries ago which contains all the good ingredients needed to make bread. This was introduced in beer form so the monk's Lenten time fast (the fast in the days prior to celebrating Jesus Christ's death and resurrection at Easter) would not be interrupted.
Parking is free to this piece of historical Bavaria and Kloster Andechs is well worth the visit.

People say this is the place to get the best beer in Germany. I definitely had my best radler here on our trip. The food was also good and is served cafeteria style. You have a choice to hike from a nearby parking lot/bus station or you can hike all the way up from the town of Herrshing. It is a slightly difficult hike uphill through forest and a little bit of meadow. If you enjoy hiking then it will be worth it to you, if it’s a hot day just take the bus.

An absolute must if you are in the Munich area. A true highlight of our trip. It was rainy and cold when we visited so we didn't get to experience the biergartenbut inside was great too. Excellent beer and the food was one of a kind. Best meal we had the entire trip.

What an interesting place to visit. Outstanding monument of architecture with beautiful ornaments inside. Beautiful architecture and awesome art work inside. You can see the tower from far as it’s tall and located at very high hill. There's a lovely hiking trail from the nearby train station in Herrsching up to the monastery, definitely recommended to get that trail because that’s really lovely walk in green area.
When I was there, it was busy over the top. The beer was excellent as is all German beer, and the food was fantastic too. The Pilgrimage church is currently an active monastery so do watch thier closing times as are early due to prayer. The monastery has plenty of free parking however it's a bit of a short but steap walk from the parking.

The Imperial Castle of Nuremberg is a majestic castle complex from the 11th century that includes a royal palace and gardens, offering breathtaking views of the city. Originally built as a court, it later became infamous for being used by the Third Reich to enact oppressive laws in 1935. However, its most notable historical event was hosting the 'Nuremberg Trials' after World War II.
I had a great time walking around the castle, appreciating the history and contemplating what my home country looked like at the time the castle was built and bustling with activity. I went on a rainy, dreary day but I still had good views of the surrounding area.

Wow, wow, wow. Excellent castle visit to the Imperial Castle.
Located at the top of a hill, overlooking the city of Nuremberg, the Imperial Castle is reached after a serious climb uphill. Not difficult for the fully able ,it is a long rather arduous slog up to the courtyard.

It was amazing to visit this imperial castle of Nuremberg. The constructions were protected with 3 layered thick wall with around 10 ft thickness and 2 stages of different heights. The tunnels, the rooms, the towers, the gardens, the dungeons, the underground pathways designs and the city view points were awesome to see. I felt like I entered in the Game of Thrones series.

Amazing medieval castle that have been kept so well.
This is truly a castle with super strong defense.
Not far from the city center market, easy to walk to. Free to walk into it and there is a good view of the old town.
Even though Nuremberg was 90% destroyed during WWII, the old town was rebuilt and restored according to the pictures they had of the old buildings and structures. So, much of the history is preserved. Otherwise, if they had decided to build everything new, there would not be not much of the past left to see.
Very impressive old town city market with a gorgeous fountain and church, and you can buy fantastic food, flowers, gingerbread cookies….
If you are a WWII history fan, then you have a lot more places to see.
Really worth visiting.

It's incredible how well-preserved the castle is post-World War II. Its grandeur and size are truly breathtaking. From the top, overlooking the town, you understand why it was strategically placed there. The surrounding city walls in Nuremberg are still intact, offering about an hour's walk around them. Navigating the city is convenient; everything is within a 30-minute walk from the center, allowing you to discover hidden gems like bridges, churches, and historic buildings along the way. The castle itself offers free entry and plenty of areas to relax. Exploring its various sections, like the converted horse stables and food storage areas, is best with a knowledgeable local guide to delve into its history. Though it requires a bit of uphill walking, the panoramic view from the top makes it all worthwhile, showcasing the city's landmarks and beauty.

This iconic castle is likely more interesting from the outside than the inside.
Due to destruction during WWII, most of the interiors are redone as a museum. The anvient weapons and armor displays are nice.

Another stop on our city walking tour. End of September 2023. There is no charge to go through the grounds. Took us about 20min to visit. The buildings are beautiful to see, and the views from the top are spectacular! Definitely worth walking up.

Less stairs in the tower than St. Augustine’s Light house (St. Augustine, Florida USA). Beautiful piece of history- we spent the afternoon! A must see- most of the displays information is in German- spring for the audio it’s worth it!!

Very impressive castle. A capital of European Kings from 11 till 16 centuries. Place where Holy Roman empire was ruled from. Building itself is really big on the top of the hill. Views around are amazing. Very strongly recommended!

Historical landmark & museum with commanding views out across the city. This is a must visit attraction if you’re in the city and would like to know about its foundation. Excellent exhibits, some interactive with translations available. Has a reasonably priced cafe and some gardens for relaxing in too. It can be a bit of a slog getting up the hill though. There may be accessible ways to get there that I did t see.

Great views of the old city from here. There’s a nice cafe and gift shop at the top. It’s worth the walk up for the views and the way back down is dotted with great places to eat and drink. Definitely recommend this if you’re in town.

The well tour is very good and a must do, the tower has great views and the pictures of the WW2 damage are a great addition - The museum itself has good info on the building and its years and associated history, better than I expected and staff very friendly

Very pretty, caring lots of history. I was a bit disappointed that the crown was a 3D model and not something that would replicate best the real ones, but that’s understandable.
Not all the things inside the museum has an English translation, but it’s worth visiting the museum!

It has a really good view of the city. View point is open all the time, but the castle is closed on holidays and the weekend. Spent the new years eve here, and the view point was very much crowded.Inside it has a museum, a deep well, and a tower where you can take a better view of the city.

I still can't believe that the castle is still in such good shape after the Second World War. Breathtaking, massive, magnificent. When you go up to the top and look out over the town, you get a sense of why they built the castle where it is. I cannot get over how impressive it is. Also, Nuremberg is still surrounded by the great city walls. It takes about an hour to walk around them. That's the great thing about the city. You can walk anywhere and it never takes more than 30 minutes to get to the other side of the city centre. Best of all, while you are exploring the city on foot, you will find many other gems on your walking adventure. From bridges to churches and other lovely old buildings. Enjoy!🏰✨️
Little tip: During weekdays you can enter the inside of the castles for free. That is in the morning until 10am or so

This is a beautiful place to visit. It has a very steep cobbled path leading up to the entrance and a lot of steps inside. I bought the combination ticket which was worth it. The castle is well presented inside with educational displays. The tower is 112 steps up a spiral staircase, but the views from the top were beautiful. The tour to the well was funny and fascinating. The tour guide knew his stuff.
The Documentation Centre Nazi Party Rally Grounds in Nuremberg is a museum that provides an in-depth look at the history, politics and why behind the rise of Adolf Hitler and the Third Reich. The grounds also served as a large venue for Nazi rallies. Today, it is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Germany.
The Dokuzentrum offers a really interesting look into WW2 history. I would really recommend going there if you're in Nürnberg

A very interesting place. Very informative displays. Visited as part of a walk around the entire site (which took a good couple of hours) I would have rated it higher if it hadn’t been a temporary exhibition. Compared to the similar Document Centre we visited in Munich (which was free, this one wasn’t) there was far more information available.

The museum is currently in renovation. Currently, there is just one small part arranged. The entrance of 6 euro is a bit steep for what it is now, but already to stay in a real place of the history that you explain is a big plus. Then, even though it is temporary, it is well done and give you an understanding of the area.

Heavy stuff, but super enlightening.
I can’t imagine how crowded it would be on a busy day, but my party and I were able to take our time and not feel crowded.
I recommend several breaks for fresh air like me if stuff like this can weigh you down.
Several tours walked through while we observed, read, contemplated, interact with displays, and processed all this information ℹ️.
Don’t be afraid to ask questions, it is alright to not know something. We are all here to learn.
Time should be taken if distractions tend to be a problem, because I have issues staying still at all moments. There is a lot to take in and it’s easy to miss things.
Take pictures, ask questions, and be willing to listen 🎧 👂 .
The Audi Forum Ingolstadt is a museum located beside the Audi factory, showcasing a range of cars and motorcycles along with restaurants and an arthouse cinema. The tour begins on the top floor and covers the entire history of the car manufacturer, including its role during World War II. A rotating elevator featuring various Audi motorsport cars is one of the highlights of the museum. Factory tours are not part of the ticket but can be booked in advance during weekdays.
This was great to add to my collection of museum experiences. So far I've been to the BMW, Mercedes and Porsche museums so this was the cherry on top. I spent 5 hours here just like I did the others and enjoyed every moment of it. The front desk staff was helpful when I had a question regarding my rental car's refueling and parking. Did I mention the onsite restaurant is amazing? Well, believe it. It is. It wasn't your cheap restaurant menu it had a FULL buffet of healthy foods. Great way to refuel after a long day of informative adventures past and present. They have so many cars on display along with the history of the formation of Audi. That revolving elevator of cars is really cool. I'm excited to see what awaits as I got a glimpse of the future of automotive technology provided by one of the finest car manufacturers on the planet. Will I ever be able to afford one? I can't say for sure, but it's worth a try!

I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Audi Ingolstadt facility on a midweek Wednesday, and the experience was nothing short of extraordinary. The museum, housing a remarkable collection of vintage automobiles, provided a captivating journey through the rich history of the Audi brand. Upon my visit, the museum exhibited a serene ambiance, as it was surprisingly devoid of a large crowd, enhancing the overall experience. The opportunity to explore the extensive collection of very old cars in such a tranquil setting added a unique charm to my visit.
The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the factory tour, which left me awe-inspired by the cutting-edge technology employed in the automotive industry. The precision and efficiency witnessed during the tour underscored Audi's commitment to excellence. The knowledgeable guides provided insightful commentary, enriching the tour with valuable information about the manufacturing processes and technological innovations.
The hospitality extended by the staff at Audi Ingolstadt further heightened the overall experience. The personnel were not only courteous but also demonstrated a genuine passion for the brand and its heritage. Their willingness to share information and answer queries contributed significantly to the positive atmosphere surrounding the visit.
I wholeheartedly recommend both the museum and the factory tour to enthusiasts and casual visitors alike.
The combination of historic charm, state-of-the-art technology, and exceptional hospitality makes this destination a must-visit for anyone interested in the world of automobiles. Audi Ingolstadt truly exemplifies excellence in every aspect of its offerings.

The attention to detail in every aspect of the museum is truly impressive, and it's clear that a lot of care and attention has gone into creating this world-class facility.
One of the highlights of my visit was the chance to see some of Audi's most famous cars up close and personal, including some of the iconic racing cars that have helped to cement the brand's reputation over the years.
Overall, I would highly recommend a visit to the Audi Museum in Ingolstadt to anyone with an interest in cars or automotive history. I would recommend visiting in the end of September or later, because the first floor, where the modern automobiles are, is closed until then.
There are not only automobiles, but also motorcycles and bicycles. You can also see how the different details of automobiles work.

Great museum, different from any other car museum with the crane that keeps turning and showing different cars. It’s easy to follow, explanstions are brief and there are some amazing cars. Unfortunatley there’s a lack of modern cars and it is a bit small in comparison to Porsche museum, for example. But it is really worth it. I recommend to check the website first, since first floor usually has temporary exhibitions and you might find it closed. I highly recommend the museum if you are in Bavaria (Bayern).

Krämerbrücke, also known as the chandlers bridge, is a historic landmark in Erfurt, Germany. It is the longest inhabited bridge in Europe and features half-timbered houses that now house galleries, cafes, antique shops, and boutiques. This medieval bridge offers a glimpse into the city's rich history and provides stunning views of Erfurt from its cobblestone street.
Really cool that one can be walking down the street without even realizing being on the Merchant's bridge. Definitely take a moment to walk outside and see the bridge then walk back through - really cool. St Peter Cathedral is also known as Regensburg Cathedral or Dom Peter. It is of Gothic architecture, having two spires. The exterior features some intricate and interesting medieval sculptures, while the interior has the same plus stained glass windows.
In comparison with many other cathedrals I have come across, this is not the most elaborate, but I believe it still deserves a score of 5 stars.

Saint Peter's Cathedral is the most important point on the map of Regensburg's history. Its imposing building is the only example of French Gothic in all of Bavaria. Earlier, there was a Romanesque temple in this place, but after a fire in the second half of the 13th century, it was decided to build a new structure. Construction work lasted over 250 years, although the construction of both towers was not completed until the 19th century. You can enter the cathedral for free from 6.30 am till 5.00 p. m. Inside, stained glass windows from the turn of the 14th and 15th centuries delight, which have been preserved in their original condition thanks to the city's avoidance of bombardment. According to some, it is the most beautiful collection in our part of Europe.

The cathedral was under construction but it did not affect the interior architecture. Spectacular stained glass art was definitely a highlight. The noon prayer session at 12:00 was perfect for meditating and finding some peace of mind in the middle of the day, but the organ music was a little underwhelming, because I expected more from the "intimidating"-looking "pipes" of the organ.

We have already seen many cathedrals, but this cathedral made me ecstatic. What a beauty! Most of all I liked the stained glass windows. And although the cathedral looks a little dark, the old stained glass windows let in little light, but the atmosphere in the cathedral is very authentic. We really enjoyed. Now the cathedral is being reconstructed. But this does not prevent you from admiring the Gothic beauty of the temple.

The zoo Leipzig is one of the oldest and most modern zoos in Europe. It boasts a large variety of animals from 850 different species, all in naturalistic habitats. In addition to its animal exhibits, the zoo has conservation programs to help protect endangered species.
The zoo was beyond my expectations! It is definitely one of the best things to do in Leipzig after the self ride boating experience. The zoo has all kinds of animals from bears, lions, monkeys, chimps, aquarium, giraffe, Zebra, Rhino, tropical rainforest experience to most of the well known and a few almost extinct animals one would want to see.
The ticket was 22 euros per person which is definitely worth the money. Plan to spend at least 4-5 hours in the zoo. If you are an animal enthusiast then you might need minimum 5-6 hours

It was a rainy day. Perfect because it wasn too crowded.
Parking: The best place to park is in the parking garage directly opposite the entrance. Good and not too expensive.
Food: Everywhere in the zoo there is the possibility to eat and drink something. I can recommend the restaurant at the giraffe enclosure with a view of giraffes and zebras.
The large cafe is really big and tastes very good.
I recommend to take some water with you because the prices for food and drink are sometimes high

Probably the best zoo in Europe. Since my first visit, they have been improving the older parts of the zoo and now it's almost fully renewed with modern enclosures.
It can be very crowded, even on workdays.

Leipzig Zoo has a decent variety of animals, and some exhibits were enjoyable. However, my experience was not so good as several animals were missing during my visit. One forgets within 30 minutes that they are in the city or even in a zoo. If the visiting route is followed, you will have the most enjoyable trip. Gondwanaland must be visited both by walking and by boat. You can bring food and drink with you, there are enough suitable places. There is a great transportation and parking place, whether by car or by bus, train or tram. Right across the entrance door, you can also lock your bike next to the closed parking lot. In the zoo, which consists of 6 different concepts, you really live every part of it to the fullest. The most beautiful zoo I've ever seen. Especially in the tropical park, a boat tour should be done.

The layout and theming of this zoo is excellent and at times it felt more like a theme park (especially in Gondwanaland). Food prices and availability is good, even on a busy day, and the enclosures are far more creative than places like Berlin. Admittedly we did struggle to see some of the animals at times, particularly the monkeys who were hidden in their huge enclosures. I’ll definitely go back, though next time not on a public holiday.

Our family spent the day at the Zoo! It was such a wonderful time! Walking through Gondwanaland was a highlight! Definitely recommend checking it out! :)
The only negative thing is, on crowded days, the pathways are so narrow that it makes for a bit of closterfobic experience (especially the path through Pongoland). Other than feeling packed in, we had a great time there!

Nice Zoo Garden very accesibile, just a short walk from Center. I visited it a few years back and I liked it more then. Maybe now it has more fast food places and less animals, or maybe they were just hidden or taking a break. Plenty of space for animals, very natural environment and you have to be lucky to be in the right place and the right time to see the animals. I liked also the Amazonian place. Enjoyed Leipzig, clean and full of nice places to see. Good food and drinks. Zoo and parks are a big plus.

The Leipzig Zoo is truly an amazing place to visit. It’s not just big; it’s incredibly expansive, offering a wide variety of animal exhibits and attractions to explore. Whether you’re a nature enthusiast or just looking for a fun day out with family or friends, this zoo has something for everyone.
One piece of advice I’d like to share is that if you plan to visit more than once or think you might return in the future, it’s definitely worth considering an annual pass. Buying a yearly ticket can be more cost-effective than paying for admission on a per-day basis, especially if you want to take your time to fully enjoy everything the zoo has to offer. It’s a great way to support the zoo and ensure you can return whenever you please.

Pretty awesome place! Here's my boy trying to pet one of the animals! Super kid friendly and you'll need a whole day to go through everything if you want! Will definitely go back again

The zoo is wonderful and I had a great experience. The animals look well taken care of and I would like to visit again during the summer for the different activities.

My highlight of the zoo is the tropical boat trip. Highly recommended, it's only 2€per person. You feel like you are in the tropical rainforest, and the sound of nature is unbelievable. There is a small tree bridge to walk above to see overall of this jungle. Also a nice restaurant for you to sit and relax and be with nature hearing birds and other animals. Other parts of the zoo are very nice too, especially the big restaurant where you can see the animals walking around you.

Leipzig Zoo wasn't just a zoo visit, it was a tropical escape! The meticulously landscaped tropical gardens transported me to rainforests teeming with life. The boat trip for 2 euros was an absolute must, offering a tranquil journey.
While food options were limited. Though I missed the vibrant world of parrots, the aquarium was a stunning spectacle.
Overall, Leipzig Zoo was a diverse and exciting adventure, especially for those who love the tropics. The tropical gardens were the star, offering a unique and immersive experience. Highly recommended!

Very cool zoo. We were in late October and almost all animals were visible. Gorillas and orangutans have a very nice locations. There are babies of lions, elephants , giraffes, gorillas and orangutans.
I really love corals and you will found a good display here

The Leipzig Zoo is great.
There is a wide variety of animals from all over the world.
In addition to the animals, there are other attractions such as guided walks and children's games.
I was fascinated that the Zoo was divided into different regions of the world.
The Monument to the Battle of the Nations in Probstheida neighbourhood is a huge temple of death commemorating the 1813 battle when Austrian, Russian, Swedish and Prussian forces came together to defeat Napoleon. The imposing memorial site features carvings, statues and inscriptions and reflects its reflection in the lake of tears.
Beautiful, but must take ~320 steps to reach to the top of the building, the path and steps can be narrow.
But you can get a good town view from the top.
Must visit landmark while you in Leipzig:)
We went on a weekend just right after opening at 10am- less crowded & peacefully explored, around 11-12pm we saw big crowd coming.

If you're in the area and interested in history - visit this one!
It cost me 10€ entry, and then I headed inside. There's a lift, but if you want to truly see everything, you cannot avoid the stairs. Overall there are about 500 of them, but as I combined lift with stairs, I climbed about 250, I guess.
The view from the top is nice, but the one from the Panorama Tower in the city is way better.

I enjoyed this monument more than I thought I would. The big statues reminded me of ancient statues. The acoustics inside are pretty good. The whole experience is maze-like, going up the narrow stairways. The views at the top are great. Remember to get your ticket below, before you climb the stairs to the entrance.

One of the best places I have ever visited, so breathtaking and ancient. And the museum is so beautiful but the thing that's most beautiful about this place is the view from the top of the monument, absolutely otherworldly.
Sujata Dey — Google review
Very beautiful. Paying just €10 (€8 for students) you can go up to the very top of the monument climbing 500 steps in narrow spaces, the tiring way is totally worth it the view! Furthermore you can enter in the museum nearby and see ancient exhibits from the battle of nations.
Elena Pettirossi — Google review
I liked the museum very much. Leipzig is a must-see museum. It is a very impressive and explanatory museum. Germany's confrontation with its war history has been very effective. He should learn such lessons. I recommend it to anyone who visits Leipzig. It is a worth seeing place. The interior of the monument should definitely be visited. If you want to capture beautiful photo frames, I recommend you to visit it in the afternoon.

Very peaceful to visit. It feels like a very secular monument to the Prussian people who endured Napoleon’s invasion. It take peace time to build such a monument. Unfortunately the peace time would not last with the start of World War 1 and the damage is from World War 2.
In the United States we are letting our World War 1 monuments crumble and allowing capitalism to take over our sense of duty. A concept most Americans can not grasp, but something Germans understand. This is a place of mourning but today it is a place to enjoy life with families.

Nice ancient place , great history behind this monument and still the monument is so huge and clean. You can visit the place go around with your friends . Advise from my aide visit on sunny day and look it for a night view

I must say the monument was very impressive. Entrance was 10 euros with an extra 2 euros for the audio guide. I would recommend that you take the audio guide as it gives you so much more information. The audio guide is available in English. There are 350 plus steps to get to the top but the views of Leipzig are spectacular. The museum covers the battle itself. This is where the audio guide really does come into it's own. It gives a view from the people that lived in Leipzig at the time of the battle and explains some of the exhibits and the reason for the battle. We spent approximately 3 hours here and another 40 minutes at cafe at the other end of the monument
Stillapatmike — Google review
One of the representative symbol of Leipzig. The height is 91 meters and it is most biggest monument in the Europe.
The closer I got to it, the more overwhelmed I was by its size and impact.
You can enter inside of the monument by 10€ per person.
On the top of the monument, you can see the overview of Leipzig. It is really amazing.
There are total 500 step to the top viewing platform. On the other hand, the elevator is settled in the monument and you can access by 2/3 height of monument easily.
Last 50 steps of top floor is too narrow to pass through each other. Please take care and go up without haste.
(History of this monument)
This monument was constructed for Prussia and allied forces wining Napoleon's French army at Leipzig.
This war is one of the most important battles and histrionical turning point of finishing the domination of Germany by French empire.

One of the fifteen national monuments referred to as "Denkmals" this is the largest although in this authors opinion not the most impressive. Although it is impressive. If you come to Leipzig this is absolutely a must see.
Jesper Br?ns-Poulsen — Google review
A great place to see historical moments from WWI ( weapons, uniforms and buildings) which happened in Leipzig, and for sure the most that we loved about this place was the top of the building that shows the whole city around! It was breathtaking and deserves a visit!
Daniel Saada — Google review
It’s a huge architecture for a monument. A monument backed with German nationalist motivation while it was built but it’s least been memorialized now and people are more looking at the architecture.
It’s possible to get to middle viewing floor with two different lifts but the top observation deck is only accessible by very narrow and long stairs.
Timothy En Haw Chan — Google review
Very impressive building. The sheer scale of it is breathtaking. If you want to make it to the top viewing platform, be prepared for narrow staircases because the elevator does NOT go all the way to the top.
This is one of those monuments where the focus has shifted from what it commemorates to the monument itself. Most people visit it to see the building and admire its architectural design rather than think about the event for which it was built.

Absolutely stunning place!!!
A place that I recommend to visit from the bottom of my soul.
Read a bit about this place before you go to visit!!!
You don't need to book yourself, and you dont need a guide, only tickets that cost approximately 10 euros per person.
The interior is something special, with an amazing view on the whole city.
The elevator is not going all the way up, and the staircase is narrow . Be ready!

We didn't get to go inside because of lack of time but it was really cool to see even from the outside. Something that looks so out of place in a European setting. Amazingly built. You do have to climb a bunch of stairs to go up to the main floors...for those who are physically disabled. But I think there is an elevator somewhere inside.
The Diana observation tower offers breathtaking views of the city and distant mountain ranges. It can be reached by funicular or hiking, and is well-worth the effort for those who want to get a sense of Karlovy Vary's stunning surroundings.
Great view over the Karlovy Vary valley. There is even elevator up and down 😲. Worth to walk there as the forest park around is really nice 👍.

Must to visit place in Karlovy Vary. You can walk all the way up or cheat and use very unique cable lift. I was cheating of course. There is a small fee to be paid and off you go. Observation tower is walking distance from the cable lift station and there is a restaurant with the butterfly farm next to it. Entry to the tower is free of charge and there are steps up and down or lift in the middle. From there you can see the whole town of Karlovy Vary.

Absolutely stunning lookout. The lift was under maintenance apparently but i managed to climbed the 150 steps, it wasn’t that bad at all for average for healthy person. I went on Wednesday in November so there were no waiting times at all! Perfect! Went to their restaurant to refill the tummy, took some awesome photos in the beautiful autumn trees nearby. Worth it! If you dont visit here then you definitely do not officially explored karlovy vary town. Just make sure you take the right funicular/train, not the one in Imperial station as i made a mistake by going there.
Tried to buy funicular ticket online but couldn’t find the button on the website. Czech website kinda sucks most of them.

This tower stands at a scenic viewpoint from which you can see the forests and the mountains and the town of Karlovy Vary nestled in the valley below. Many of the visitors to Karlovy Vary over the centuries have visited here, including Goethe. A funicular takes up to the top of the hill the. You can take an elevator free of charge to go to the summit, there are also pleasant paths and hikes through the surrounding woods. There is also a restaurent and small zoo with many cute little piggies 🐷.

It was one of the nicest towers I've visited in the EU. 150 wide steps, all uniform construction, too, plus they are completely enclosed.
I like the signs telling you what is in the distance from each section of the lookout area. There's an elevator as well. I imagine maintenance funds come from the cable car fees (which were reasonable) from Karlovy Vary, just behind the famous Grandhotel Pupp.

Good observation point over old Karlovy Vary. It is reachable by feet over mild steep tracks over the hill or the one can purchase a ticket for a small up hill rope driven train. Observation tower has a lift and stairs, of course. For our great surprise - lift was free of charge.

The Zwinger museum features a carillon, porcelain collection and exhibits on historic scientific instruments. The palace is also home to three museums - one dedicated to classical music, one with exhibits on art and history, and the last focused on natural sciences.

The Zwinger complex is incomprehensible until you’ve visited! You have no idea how grand it is until you’re there. We visited the grounds and the Old Masters Picture Gallery. Even though the grounds are getting worked on, the architecture is impressive enough to appreciate its grandeur. We really enjoyed the gallery as well.

Unfortunately, during our visit, the courtyard was being renovated - with the entire thing having been dug up. The buildings are still impressive and the architecture is interesting. It's a huge building with multiply attractions. The place is a combination of a baroque palace, museums, an art gallery, a park, a terrace, with fountains, stairs sculptures.
A beautiful place to discover, learn and relax.. An absolute must see in Dresden!

The monument was originally built in 1790, during the reign of Emperor Josef II (who did not live to see it completed) as a fortress (a system of three fortresses that protected Prague). It was never built as a concentration camp and never served as such. During the Second World War, the fortress was used as a prison by the Prague Gestapo and thus became famous. From the first moment, if you have already visited one of the former concentration camps, you can see that it is rather a milder and "nice" place compared to the camps. Of course, I don't mean to downplay the brutality that took place here. I recommend buying at least a paper guide, there is a map on the ticket, but it is easier to go according to the numbers in ascending order. After visiting the small fortress, be sure to visit the city of Terezín and the large fortress that served as a Jewish ghetto + cafes and a hospital

My father and I did this the trip out to the concentration camp and the experience itself was quite eye opening just trying to place yourself in the shoes of what the people went though during this time. It was a humbling experience to say the least. The families lost, children that grew up never knowing their mothers and fathers as well as how the jews in particular were treated. The fact that this was allowed to happen and that people can do this is still something that is beyond me. A must do day trip if in Prague
Sprawling tropical-themed water park with rooms & cottages, plus an indoor rainforest & a lagoon.
Amazing place if you want to charge your batteries ,especially during winter months you could feel tropical atmosphere without leaving Berlin at all. You could hire room out there and stay overnight if want. Plenty of attractions , air balloon , tropical dancers / shows and tropical food make you think that you at Bahamas :) Restaurants are great with delicious food ,and kids like it as well. Stayed for three nights and had a fantastic time with my family (wife, mother in law +3 small kids).
Will start with the low points first:
1. At check in there was only one counter working and it took us 40!! minutes to complete the process.
2. Not enough sitting chairs around the pool area - you need to go at around 7am to catch an empty chair....
As for the good stuff:
1. Amazing place
2. Many pools for the kids
3. Amazing water park for children and for adults (I enjoyed it as much as the kids have).
4. Very friendly staff.
5. Great selection of food and drinks - restaurants are located all over the place.
5. Holiday villa was very good and well equipped.
Will definitely return next year.

Absolutely perfect place. I wouldn't know what to recommend first. The easy accessibility from parking, the quick check in, the convenient wristbands, the affordable eating options, the huge variety of different pools and slides. It is a truly great place.
Why would you want the stress of travelling 6 hours on a plane abroad, hotel costs and a harsh reality of a shabby hotel that doesn't look like anything on the photos? This paradise gives you 90% of a vacation to Turkiye for a fraction of the cost.
The only minus is that we only booked a day ticket and not a weekend stay. We'll definitely return for a weekend in the end of October.
We absolutely loved it
Richard Volprich — Google review
The place is large, but poorly invested. The slides are very moderate, more exotic slides should be added. The large pools should be more interesting, such as artificial waves. Better lighting could improve the mood. An artificial sky roof and sun would be great. A river around the place would also be cool.

Absolutely deplorable service from a rude, incompetent staff. The bus never leaves according to schedule, resulting in missed train back to Berlin. The management should be fired and replaced by service-oriented intelligent people who know what they’re doing, rather than those who have nothing but contempt for their customers.
The rooms are all cockroach-infested cesspools with no air circulation, for which you will pay an extortionate price of several hundred Euros.
Food is of general poor quality and taste.
Avoid this place!

Tropical Islands is more like a theme park. It is way overpriced and it is definitely more catered to children than adults. It's pretty cold when you're not in the water and there's no space in the water to actually swim. You can't relax for a moment as there are balls flying at your head and children screaming and splashing. The outdoor pool becomes way too busy during the day and the revolving doors are like a death-trap waiting to happen with kids trapping each other inside constantly. As you try to exit the pools you have to avoid children body slamming each other and stray sandals tripping you up.
The spa area is a shambles. It is relaxing to an extent but there are so many people walking around confused about spa etiquette as people are coming in with swimsuits and some without. Kids are also allowed into the spa area meaning it is yet another area for kids. I feel like this area should be adults only considering the rest of the park is dominated by the children.
There are literally no water fountains and if you want to hydrate you have to pay almost 5 euros for a bottle of water. Not providing people with water, especially in a spa area, is actually dangerous and it really sours the experience to be dehydrated. Considering how expensive the entry is, plus paying so much for food, I really think water is a basic thing you can provide guests to keep them happy and healthy.

Stayed for a night and a had a great time. Tent was comfy and enough room for the night. Plenty to do there to keep you occupied for a few days. Spa area was lovely and clean and some very nice saunas. Pools and slides are all good fun. Wish the outdoor surf pool was open but that will have to be for another time. Think it was around 30 degrees inside so it's a nice temperature, just like being somewhere tropical!

It's pretty awesome, but when there are vacations in Berlin it's too crowded.
But avoiding that time and you have plenty of space and amazing slides and wonderful plants and a nice spa experience.
Especially nice for kids (roughly 3+ y/o)

The Tropical Islands experience was the best for us. Amazing experience in middle of winter. We were swimming in a warm pools under the snow. Such a magical place especially during winter months you could feel tropical atmosphere. Sitting between the trees and observing the birds was such a pleasure. You could hire room out there and stay overnight if want. the restaurants have a large variety of foods and prices.

one star is too much. not only do you pay for the ticket, but also 6 euros for parking. the food costs as much as in a good restaurant, but it's not very good. drinks are more expensive than in a fine establishment and also poor. water slides are nothing special, slow and short. in addition, there is no tropical climate inside, just plain heavy air. one feels like in a cage. maybe children get some fun, but for adults it's all just weak. for this price it is better to buy a 4 pack of beer and sit on the balcony. I do not recommend

the last time I was in Tropical Island was 17 years ago and I was very surprised by the changes I saw there. First of all, the equipment did not look worn out at all, new swimming pools, new attractions, delicious food - we used the Thai restaurant. Plants in very good condition. To sum up the trip - I am very pleased!

Shocking level of services, takes ages to check in, around 2 hours, the tags that you pay with are on separate accounts, front office staff offer not leave of service
Processed a payment then claim that the payment was never made, made me wait an hour at front of house until they decided to call the finance team to confirm if the payment was made.
if you don’t mind rudeness and zero level of service then I would recommend this place due to the facilities.

This is the second time we have stayed here for a week each time. Absolutely love the place. It's so reasonable in terms of cost and the use of the park with accommodation absolutely makes it. I would go so far as to say it's unique in it's existence in terms of quality and price. It's not cheap once in the resort but you can mitigate that with self catering and sensible snacking. I would recommend this place to families, couples, and friends groups. Caters to all who are looking for a water park resort experience. Very easily accessible from BER airport and exceptional transport from the train station at Brand and around the resort. Quick one to note, if you arrive on time check in at the resort reception and avoid the dome. It's very slow at the dome and adds to your journey back to the cabins. Unless you're staying in the dome of course!! Highly recommended. Please like this review if it was helpful.

I was hesitant to go there after reading the reviews, but I'm glad I did. My kid and I had a great time there. We went on a Sunday (cheaper fee) evening, when it was not crowded at all. We didn't have to wait in line for any slide or the reception. The place was fairly clean (except for some cockroaches), the attractions were well designed, and the people were nice. The service was decent for North German standards. They didn't smile much, but they weren't rude either. It was easy to get there from Berlin by train, and then take the shuttle that runs every few minutes.

Good water-based fun for all ages. Also, educational and immersive in Rain forest fauna and flora. Good food. Lots of walking and steps/stairs, but there are some ramps. Make your appointment for massages and cosmetic procedures at least a week before arriving to have a chance at getting in. Awesome sauna and hot tubs for those willing to go in the nude.

Absolutely amazing place, especially for families with kids! Whatever weather is out there, you can easily get to ‘Tropics’ for a weekend. It’s so nice inside, very warm, with lots of swimming pools, slides, even animals. I recommend to stay in one of the hotel rooms there.

A really good place to hangout for a day and for people who love water it's an amazing place to spend. No fear for people who are scared of water as well as the pools are not very deep. Very nice slides not many though but the once which are there are nice and enjoyable. Overall a really good place to enjoy a day. Place could have been bit more cleaner and i would have given 5 stars.

What an amazing structure. Loved sleeping in the tent, the accommodation and the entrance were really good value.
Unfortunately the big slides were closed, the rapids were underwhelming and the food was expensive - I was super annoyed that there were no free water dispensers anywhere. Especially as we were staying over.
All in all a great experience, but maybe the water attractions need some investment (a proper lazy river / better rapids) and less of a rip off for drinking water.

Location is good, we found it easily with the car and had a parking space available.
We arrived and the line was huge, but everything went fast. I have booked it as a surprise for someone special and as well a bottle of wine, we got the keys of the room and weren’t really happy with it. We went back to the reception and it was no problem to give us a an alternative room - very friendly! The place is so good, we had dinner there at the buffet and had many options. We had really so much fun, it was everything well organised, busy, but you still could enjoy it - I hope they keep it busy this way always!
We also made use of the SPA and it was really good. I just think that kids should not be allowed there. It was strange!!!
There are many restaurants you can choose. Many stores.
Breakfast buffet was good!
We also had dinner in one of the restaurants there and it was nice and friendly.
Was such a nice time and we for sure will come back.

We wanted to celebrate my son birthday, so we bought s family ticket. Arrived to tropical island and on the entrance provided a ticket (we were 4, 2adult, 2child) and was provided with 1 bracelet, so entered all and all was good until.. when we were leaving, there is a hole where you but the bracelet to leave, and you was suppose to put 1 for each person. But we were provided only one.. when we asked what to do to s person who was in charge there he told none of my business, go to information. Tho we have spent there 20+minutes, providing original ticket, so the end of the trip was ruined and we missed the train. Not recommend. Birthday ruined.

A really big and nice water park, probably the biggest water park under the roof. Wonderfully warm inside even though it was only 15 degrees outside. A warm river outside with massage devices. The only downside is that it is a bit far from Berlin. When we visited there was a railway renovation, we had to use 2 metro lines, 2 local trains and 1 free bus, it took almost 2 hours each way, normally I heard that you can get there in one hour by one train from the main station. But despite everything, it's definitely worth visiting there👍👍👍 I'll come again if I fly through Berlin.

We stayed just 1 night. The check-in process was not great as I knew I booked a package with evening meal but he said there is nothing here. We pushed on this and eventually got it sorted out and our meal .
The park itself is brilliant and impressive with loads to do. We loved the fact there are animals and real plants there. You need 2 or 3 days to properly relax though . The prices are high for food but like everywhere now. Rooms are big and comfortable but need air conditioning as some have it and some don't.
Brendon Sullivan — Google review
We were there in January to stay overnight, checking to the rooms only possible at 15:00. We got there at 12:30 and there was a long line of people waiting to get in, so we had to wait for 1.45 hours to get to the counter and check in. That's a minus point.
Otherwise, the place is huge, plenty of saunas, swimming places, and relaxing chairs. Food is fine, but the whole experience was quite expensive for a night there.
Leonardo Arias — Google review
This could be an OK place if they weren't so greedy. There were WAY too many people let in at a time, so there was never a sunbed available and always a line. They don't allow outside food but still charge outrageous prices for everything there. I wish i had smuggled in food. The smoking room is awful, and beer costs 5,20 for 500ml. There was a line for every single place all the time. The staff was mostly nice. The dying plants and stressed out parrots in cages really bummed me out. Avoid it. You can have way more fun elsewhere for less money.

Never ever again.
Do not waste your money in this place.
Let’s skip to the worst part:
We booked 2 nights staying in a premium family room for 6 people. No soap, no crutches -neither provided upon request. The second day it started raining into the room- literally inside..nobody cared. We tried to stop the rain front entering with the towels we had. After an hour someone just put a bin right in front of the room’s door, nothing else. We could not enter our room , neither take a shower. If we wanted further towels we should rent them. Nightmare started at 16:00 pm, going up and down to the reception begging for help. At the end, we were given the only 2 rooms available for the second night, different from the one we paid for, one double and one double plus a sofa, not even close to each other. We had to move our stuff on our own, entering the new accommodation at 21.30. So half a day completely gone. No soap as well here, to stay consistent, not provided again either upon request.
Last but not least non speaking rude staff, bad cocktails…be ready to be in queue to check in 2 hours, try to find a locker and a sunbed in an hour or more.
No compensation offered , an apology gift a voucher nothing at all, I am pretty much sure a refund should apply here but I have wasted enough time with this and just want to move forward.

Huge venue with inside and outside pools. It’s a family oriented place.
We went in February so the highlights of our weekend there were spending a night in a tent, the outside heated pool and the sauna area. You need need to buy extra ticket to enter the saunas and jacuzzi area. The ticket was 14 Euros but totally worth it. Also, you can rent a towel :)

Awesome place for kids of any age. Great pools, warm , food was nice and fresh , reasonably priced. The only negative is long queue at the check in if you are staying in the resort, we had to wait for 1,5 hour .

Fun place to escape the city for a day or two. The place was packed and felt a little bit too “public”. Clean and well preserved areas. Eating options are not bad, even though a lot of people preferred burgers and fries, you can also find nice Thai food at one of the restaurants. Overall good experience.

The place is very fun and interesting to spend a day or two. Nice ambience and the food is rather good. I was overall impressed with the variety at the buffet. It’s great too to have a chip card that puts everything in a tab and you pay when you leave. Makes it very convenient to lock up your stuff and just have fun.
The variety of activities you can do here is great, and the water slides and Amazonia was particularly nice.
Room wasn’t ready on time which was rather inconvenient. Once cleaned too the room wasn’t very clean, the previous guest left clothes behind that were still there when we eventually got the room. it’s a very basic bare bones room, very simple could be improved by a few basics like a mirror and maybe a towel rack.
Overall it’s a really neat place and was quite fun.

Great family fun for a night away from Berlin. Our kids had a great time, as did we. Staff were all wonderful, and did a great job of trying to understand my terrible German. Some speak english but not all.
Food was reasonably priced given the captive audience and less than we expected. Would have been great to have had a water fountain to refill our bottles though.
One star off as the check in took over an hour, which others have noted as an issue beforehand too.
The Bastei is a scenic location in Saxony, Germany featuring a picturesque series of tower-like rocks surrounded by hiking trails and a historic bridge. Visitors can explore the fairytale bridges of Rakotzbrucke, stroll through the charming town of Gorlitz, and even cross the border into Poland all in one day. Despite its beauty, the area can become crowded with tourists during peak seasons. In December, however, some shops and hotels may be closed for the season.
If you love the nature and solid beauty of the rock formations, then you have to visit this place. Don't forget to bring your camera to capture stunning views of the surrounding area from the heights. The walkways are narrow and slippery in bad weather , so make sure you have comfortable footwear and hold on to the rails... The fall from some of the walkways is not the thing that you want to experience. Fresh mountain air, great views of the nature... We enjoyed every second of the time spent walking through the course. The entrance (we were there at the end of December 2021 ) was free. Definitely recommend to take a walk there.

Bastei bridge - the most popular and the most famous. In the season better visit early in the morning to avoid queuing. There is one parking close to this place, 5 min away, the other one is 2 km away and you will have to walk or take a bus. We parked 2 km before Rathen kurort and hiked visiting Rathen first and Elbe river.
On the Bastei you can visit a few viewpoints to have a better shots of this place. Don't skip Neurathen castle. Entrance fee is 2,5 euro and you can experience this place from a historic perspective.
I wouldn't suggest visiting this bridge in the summer. Place is completely packed with people meaning you can't enjoy the views properly. In my opinion hike to Schrammsteine is a better option and Ausichpoint there is a masterpiece.
There is a restaurant located close to the Bastei bridge with a nice view of Elbe river - quite expensive place. You can also check a few other places nearby to buy some food.

I hit the road from Chemnitz to Bastei, and I gotta say, it was a cool discovery. Went there twice, and it just kept getting better. Sure, it's a bit tiring, but man, the views from the top are unreal. Loved taking on that challenge!

This is an amazing place for a day trip. Overall, the bridge is, probably, overrated a little bit, but it still worth visiting. The rocks are absolutely unexpected and we were really surprised. There is a spectacular view and outstanding nature around. Good parking is available very close to the bridge or another one in the small Village Rathen.

The place itself is nice, but it was so terribly crowded it barely was an enjoyable experience. Having to wait in lines to be able to get to lookouts isn't really how I like to spend my time. And we went there pretty much off season, late October... Can't imagine it during summer holidays 💀

What a stunning region! 🤩 Absolutely breathtaking!!! 😍 What a gift from nature... 🏞️ You might even spot some climbers in action while on the go 🧗!
The highlight, without a doubt, is the new viewing platform on the Bastei (opened in February 2023, approximately 21 meters long and about 3.30 meters wide). What a fantastic sight...
As for the tasting experience, all I can say is: pure delight, as if you're touching the sky while standing firmly on the ground! 🏔️🍴✨
PS: By the way, up at the top, there's a clean public toilet available (€0.70).
PS: Part 2 of the journey is already in the works... 😁!

The St. Vitus Cathedral is a beautiful Gothic cathedral located within the grounds of Prague Castle in the Czech Republic. Constructed over a period of 525 years, it features a mix of Neo-Gothic and 14th-century Gothic styles as well as Baroque and Renaissance influences. The building is especially renowned for its impressive spire which stretches skywards into the heavens.
St. Vitus Cathedral is in my opinion one of the most gorgeous Cathedral around the world. Hardly to find a word to describe the impression I always have when enter into this Cathedral which is huge inside and that you can walk half hour there or spend an hour there. This means I recommend to purchase ticket get in. Not only visit the Cathedral from the entry hall of the Cathedral, but take a walk and gain most of this beautiful Cathedral which is also nice to see outside. This Cathedral is large and siting in the Prague Castle Court rooms, and because the size of Cathedral is cross all patios of the Prague Castle. Particularly from courtroom three (patio 3) is nice view same as from the High from the Great south tower.

This cathedral is breathtaking. Situated on top of a hill, you need to put some effort to arrive here but it is totally worth. Impressive from outside and inside , you can take some time to admire its beauty from the benches inside the yard behind it. In case you want to get in, you can do it for free, but only in a limited area. A ticket is required if you want to explore it all.

Impressive place with a long and rich history, the cathedral made a lasting impression on me. Worth every cent spent on entrance fees. The grandeur, the stained-glass windows, the chapels, the stories. Lighting a candle, inviting in good energies and peace upon our beloved ones, family and friends rounded up the visit.
If you ever visit Prague and its majestic castle, you definitely have to take the tour of the cathedral as well.

St. Vitus Cathedral is an awe-inspiring masterpiece of Gothic architecture nestled within the historic grounds of Prague Castle. From its towering spires to its intricate stained glass windows, every detail of this sacred site is a testament to centuries of craftsmanship and devotion.
Stepping inside, visitors are immediately struck by the grandeur of the interior, with its soaring vaulted ceilings and majestic columns. The play of light through the stained glass creates a mesmerizing kaleidoscope of colors, bathing the space in an ethereal glow.
Exploring the cathedral, one encounters a wealth of artistic treasures, from the stunning mosaic of the Last Judgment to the ornate tomb of St. John of Nepomuk. Each chapel and alcove tells a story, inviting contemplation and reverence.
Climbing the winding staircase to the top of the cathedral rewards visitors with panoramic views of Prague's skyline, offering a breathtaking perspective on the city's beauty and history. To prepare yourself and dress well for this!

What an amazing cathedral! The view from up the hill over the city of Prague is superb! The cathedral is well maintained and the offer of tours is more then plenty.
The inside of the cathedral looks amazing! I absolutely love these structures. To bad you can not walk around the whole sub level of the cathedral without buying an extra ticket for that.
The square next to the cathedral, offers some nice spots to take a rest and enjoy the ambiance of the place.
Definitely worth the walk up there from the old town city center.

Impressive. The scale of the cathedral is daunting (makes you feel tiny) and the stained glasses are very colorful and lovely. Make sure to get the combo ticket (that includes objective "VIII" - the cathedral) in order to be able to get in all the way back and not just at the entrance. It is wonderfully decorated in the back.
Also, get the tower ticket (entrance to objective "X" - cathedral tower) to climb the 278 steps up in a dizzying spiral staircase (with no pit stop and used for both climbing up and down the same way). It sounds horror, but you eventually make it and it's definitely worth it. The view from up the tower is a worthy reward.

Beautiful cathedral with some of the most intricate art I’ve seen. The stained glass paintings and suspended statues in the church are incredible. The gothic architecture is worth seeing. The grounds of the palace open at 6am but you can only enter the cathedral starting at 9am. I’d recommend going early to beat the crowds.
There are bathrooms here but you need coins to use them. There is a machine near the ticket counter that lets you exchange notes for coins.

The most beautiful place in Prague. The Cathedral is the first thing you see when you visit the Prague Castle. Make sure you buy tickets online. They have the tickets at visitor centre but you can skip the wait if booked online. Most of the places to visit are covered in that ticket. A must must visit when in Prague. It’s a fascinating Renaissance- Baroque Architecture marvel.!

Breathtaking stained glass that makes the room colorful. Beautiful tombs to some of the worlds most famous and prosperous religious figures and saints, decorated with silver and gold.
HOWEVER, there is very little information to be read about the attractions within. There is a paragraph of information for every 3-5 attractions which leaves you wondering about the significance behind a lot.
Even without a ticket you can roam around the entrance of the church, but won’t have access to around 70% of it, which mostly includes the main attractions within the church itself. Make sure to get the family pass if you can for your group, as you will save good money. Don’t purchase the ticket entrance just to go visit the church, as it is a relatively high ask and not worth it on its own, instead use it to gain entrance into the other attractions nearby.
Please feel free to look at the images I attached! I hope you enjoy!

The Cathedral sits in the centre of the Castle complex and is visible from all around the area. Very beautiful outside and inside. You can enter the cathedral for free, but there is a large area accessible only by ticket. There is a separate ticket for entry to the cathedral tower. Both are worth visiting. From the tower you can have a wonderful panoramic view of the city. Keep in mind to reach the top of the tower you need to go up 287 steps. It can be a bit claustrophobic.

Truly a “can’t miss” sight in Prague; the steps up to the tower are not too steep, few resting places, though. The view from the tower is completely worth it, and it is fairly spacious. Benches on the top inside, next to the clock mechanism. Separate charge to climb up.

A magnificent historical landmark, the cathedral and its surroundings need 3-4 hours to explore fully. We observed guard change ceremonies, purchased souvenirs, and found numerous cafes and restaurants for brunch. While entry to the cathedral grounds is free, accessing the interior requires a ticket. Due to the lengthy queue, exceeding 30 minutes, we opted to forego entry. Nonetheless, the premises were impeccably clean, ideal for capturing memorable photographs.

The audio tour devices were sold out for the day so go early if you’d like to do that. You buy tickets just across the square from the front doors.

the cathedral located in the courtyard of the citadel of prague, can only be visited with a ticket, it is included in the basic ticket which includes part of the castle, golden street and the cathedral. it is spectacular in size and details and full of stories about emperors, kings, coronations, saints. it can be seen from any corner of Prague and sits on the hill of the fortress looking over the city. I recommend visiting it both outside and inside.

The queue to get into the Cathedral is huge but don't let that put you off as it moves very quickly. Inside it is fascinating and educational, this was an enjoyable way to spend half an hour or so. At the side of the Cathedral is another entrance where you pay to go to the top of the lookout tower which for me was the best.

Despite a lengthy queue outside, our visit to St. Vitus Cathedral was undeniably worthwhile. The Gothic masterpiece within the Prague Castle complex boasts an awe-inspiring interior featuring soaring ceilings, intricate stained glass, and historical treasures like the Czech Crown Jewels. The view from the cathedral's towers adds an extra layer of charm, making it an essential stop for anyone exploring Prague's rich history and cultural heritage. Don't let the queue deter you – the experience inside St. Vitus Cathedral is a true highlight of a visit to the Czech capital.

Prague Castle is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Prague. The complex has buildings from Roman-style to Gothic and 20th century. The castle is located in the Hradcany neighborhood.
I recommend going early in the morning (before 8am) or in the evening (after 5pm). During these hours, the crowd is usually low, and you can enjoy and absorb more of the castle's beauty. I definitely recommend to go to the top of the lookout tower, as it provides a spectacular view of the entire city.

Beautiful church inside the castle grounds. Need about 1.5hr to 3hrs depending on your speed. Ticket are bought at information booth. Nice place to wander around outside if you don't want to go inside. Lovely park ground and architecture. Worth visiting twice if your feet feeling okay.

An incredible place with incredible buildings and less likely views of the city. A must visit this place, a place of strength. Very beautiful, very diverse. Advice, do not go up by car, small streets, very difficult to separate, better to walk. Especially when you go up and down each building will be very beautiful and unique.

Prague Castle is definitely a place to go if you are visiting Prague. There is so much interesting history and the architecture is magnificent.
I’d recommend going to the visitors point and getting an audio guide as you walk around, as this makes the experience much more extensive.
Entrance to the castle was free, which is great. There were various exhibitions on, such as a picture gallery, which you could visit with a cost.
There was a nice cafe in the castle gardens to have a refreshing drink.

The entrance to the castle and parks are free. We got tickets to enter 5 buildings. Experience was very nice. My favorite part was Artistic Street, where artists sell handmade things. The medieval room upstairs was amazing. Great experience

Lovely climb up the main road side with shops and cafes on a cobbled street. Very busy at the top but lots of space to move around. Great photo opportunities of the castle and the view out over the city.

Definitely worth a walk up a hill 😊. Another one of those place that is much better out of the season of early in the day to avoid crowds. Exceptional architectural marvel the provides a “ old world “ almost fairytale like feel to the place . Also very nice view points, worth exploring, around the castle overlooking the city of Prague. Only downsides are that you have to pay extra to gain access to some parts of the complex.

The church inside the castle is really amazing. Just make sure you wear comfortable shoes and try to avoid the busy time. We went there around lunch time, a lot of tourist groups and the restaurant is a little bit full as well. It will be better to come later, so you can enjoy a nice sunset view while having a nice coffee on the rooftop.

A very large castle complex comprises multiple towers and buildings. Great way to spend an entire day learning about the history of the city. If you climb the tall South Tower, you will arrive at probably the best observation deck in Prague. There was also a building that serves as a museum. Don’t forget to take a stroll down the Golden Lane before leaving!

Prague Castle is located on a tall hill and has a view of the city below. It's like its own small town. I took many pictures here, and when I showed them to my friends, they thought the pictures didn't look like they were taken in real life. People are going to claim that it is edited. The most important advice I can give about anything related to Prague Castle is to plan to spend two separate half days there. I am saying this because there will be a lot of people in the mornings, but you can use your tickets for two days. If you go in the afternoon, you can visit three or four places before they close. You can come back the next day to finish your tour. That is the most optimal way to visit this attraction. The area is very spacious, and there are buildings all around. You may not be able to enter all of them, but the ones that are open and listed on your ticket are worth visiting. Definitely worth checking out and definitely worth the effort to go up.

This place is unreal!!!!! It is hard to believe that places like this still exist. This whole city is actually unreal. This is definitely a place that everyone (if you have a chance) should visit at least once in their life time. There are so many places to see and to visit within the city.
In the castle make sure that you visit the gardens as well. If you want an even better experience, go there late at night when there is barely anyone there and the lights make it turn into a n even more magical place.

Most of the palace is actually a free to walk around area. You need to pay if you want to visit the museum parts or a small street, or the toilet. The signs are very distinguishable so you need not worry. The front yard of the castle has a narrow garden with a great view towards Charles Bridge. Exploring the small streets to get to the castle was in my opinion just as nice, so take your time and walk around.

Historic castle complex also housing the St. Vitus Cathedral, Prague castle is a must-see
I’d recommend taking a bus / transport up to the entrance as the hill it’s situated on can be a steep climb. While it’s a large complex with different museums / buildings to explore - I’d recommend walking the courtyards and visit guess interior of St. Vitus cathedral as the highlights

Stunning location with views over the city. The castle holds a beautiful cathedral in the courtyard. You have to get tickets to go into the cathedral and other parts of the castle and the queue was long so I didn't go in. Book tickets in advance if you want to see it all.

You simply must walk here through the palace gardens beginning almost a kilometer east of the palace, poised high above the city and the river. The views through the majestic trees and in and amongst the flowers, particularly in springtime, are simply regal. I have yet to sample the splendors of the interior of the castle itself but am already enchanted by what I’ve experienced on my first two visits to and through the outer walls and buildings of the castle.

Beautiful ancient castle with great architecture. You can hire a local guide if you are interested to know about the historical background. Also, there are many free tour guides in Prague whom you can book online. The Prague Castle circuit ticket also allows you to visit the Charles Bridge Museum free of charge. However, All visitors are not allowed to bring large baggage and there is a security checkpoint at the entrance.

Absolutely amazing venue. Superior views across Prague. I was very impressed with the food service. I was lucky enough to be invited to a special dinner. I was particularly impressed that the staff were so attentive that before my drink had finished I was presented with a drink and they remembered what I was drinking. Absolutely phenomenal. The main lady running the service was a pleasure speaking with and clearly understood how to make guests feel special. Very impressive, it's rare that I am blown away. The venue is fantastic, the balcony for drinks reception is amazing. The food was truly amazing, and the service was spectacular.

The castle looks spectacular from outside, but ordinary in the inside, we are not impressed too much. The tower offers bird eye view of Prague, but climb 275 steps pose a challenge we conquered. To summarize, after several days in Prague, we found most of the churches inside looks much the same, so we recommend you choose the free ones such as church of our lady before Tyn, for the others, we really don’t think buy the ticket is a must, take a picture from outside and visit public areas will do.

I loved Prague Castle. It is so ancient, with so much history and it has been maintained in excellent shape. It is the highlight of Prague and one of the best castles I have ever been to. Take a taxi or transit to start at the west end of the castle and then walk downwards towards downtown. Much easier.

The castle looks impressive from down below. To get up you have to climb a lot of stairs! Not recommend if it’s a hot summer day. At the top you find a overprices starbucks and the museum shop. There is no way to fill up your water bottle as there is no fountain This was really disappointing. But the castle is beautiful. The tickets are fairly prices considering you can visit different buildings. The view from the top is also great.

A lovely place to visit.
The road to the place itself is beautiful and full of amazing scenery while you go up.
Make sure to get comfy as there are a lot of stairs until you reach the cathedral itself.
As you go up, you have food and drinks option all around , as well as old town part right nearby(5 min walk).
The place is very crowded so make sure to follow rush hours and visit when its most suitable for you.
Make sure not to miss this one!

Spectacular and well worth the walk over the river and up the hill. Such an incredible and rich history - and apparently the largest ancient castle in the world. As an added bonus, access to most things was free when we visited on Christmas Eve.

Definitely worth a walk all the way and visiting the Castle grounds and gardens. Whether buying a ticket to enter the various rooms and halls/museums is worth it or not, will leave the decision to you. The St Vitus cathedral definitely worth seeing.

What a terrific experience. We visited the castle through one of the Free Tour web sites who helped us take a tram to the top so we could enter from a less crowded entrance. The whole place is stunning. Building after building is immaculate and the varied architecture is fascinating. Our guide pointed out the different styles and in one square you can see 4 or 5 different eras of architecture. I think I took over 400 pictures in the 45 minutes we were there and felt I barely scratched the surface. Definitely a must see!!

Cool place. You have to buy the general ticket to see inside of the churches and also the golden lane. We didn’t do that because I guess other than golden lane, the exterior of the buildings is more interesting than the interior. Also every hour you can see the soldiers doing their changing ceremony in one of the gates that opens up to the square. Overall it was worth going.
Charles Bridge is a beautiful, medieval bridge located in the heart of Prague. The bridge was built in 1357 and is one of the most iconic structures in Prague. The bridge is known for its 32 different points of interest and its ability to connect the Old Town with the New Town.
Absolutely good looking, many will agree the most beautiful old fashion bridge ever. Every single sculpture, statutes on the bridge are individual piece of art. When near sunset, the rivers with some boats, pigeons, view is absolutely stunning. Unfortunately the crowd is insane, rough estimate there are thousands of tourist on the bridge at the same time ALL the day time.

I loved being able to walk across the bridge! There were so many great views of Prague, and the bridge was full of local artists and musicians showcasing their work. They are in the process of revitalizing the statues, which was incredible to see when comparing the older ones to the newer ones. Like the rest of the city, my only regret was not being able to spend more time exploring! If I am ever able to return to Prague, I plan to return ❤️

The view of the river and city from the bridge is amazing, but too many small shops make it a little crowded, street musicians add to the charm, but these small shops selling souvenirs just occupy space. Maybe they should reduce the numbers or not allow them in the centre part of the bridge. I know they are trying to make a living but the bridge isn't that wide.

This city is so cool! Awesome vibe here. Cool hangouts/pubs/bars, great food, and the people are awesome! Everyone here seems to be cheerful and that is something I don’t usually find in such a touristy place. Charles Bridge is iconic and has so much to see and photograph. Lots and lots of history, and so we’ll maintained.

One of the must-see Prague landmarks with incredible gothic architecture and amazing statues lining the wide, pedestrian-only bridge. Be ready for crowds though as this is a very popular spot. The bridge leads to Prague's beautiful Lesser City with lots of small shops and traders. You can climb the towers and get a great view of the bridge and surround too.

Very beautiful bridge, connecting old town with new town. The gates at the entrance are decorated beautifully and on both sides of the bridge there are statues. On the bridge you can find a lot of street artists and small markets. Unfortunately the bridge is often very crowded and it takes you a long time to get to the other side. Would recommend to go there early in the morning or late in the evening. Definitely a sight you should not miss in Prague!

One of the best places for pictures in Prague bit please do it justice nas read about it before you go because this is one of the most important landmarks of Prague.
Also, if you are going to ask for a wish from St John, do do with your left hand and DO NOT touch the dog as it is suppose to give bad luck!
Enjoy it.

Like the old town square, this is a bit of a “must visit” when in Prague. Read up on the history of the bridge a little bit before going to walk over it and you’ll understand a bit more of it’s significance. Not too many days of the year when it is not packed full of tourists, but it is still worth a crossing. Nice to see the artists and other local hands selling their wares here still. I crossed this bridge first time back in 2008 and it’s still got it! Be sure to stop and take in the views of the gates and the river as it is easy to get swept up in the wandering crowds.

I have only problem with the street lights. They are not so well places and not add beauty to the bridge. You can feel the fresh air and see both the sides of the city. There are many old structures and good shops where you can enjoy shopping

A beautiful pedestrian bridge that deserves it's reputation. Good for sunsets, bad for midnight as the lights go off, best for mornings before the crowds gather. And there's almost always a crowd. A bit too expensive a visit to the towers in my views but I understand - there's enough people to pay the price, so why not. The view is worth it I guess. The short movie you can see in the basement is totally not worth it and a waste of time, unless you're there with kids.

Obviously a must see! We just visited (Beginning of December) and didn't think it would get too packed but it does! Comes early or late to take it all in (or both). Great views of the castle, the Petrin and several other sites. Highly recommend spending the extra to go up the tower (note you need to specify to get tickets for both Charles Bridge and lesser town tower).

Absolutely beautiful and a must walk-visit when in Prague. Even if it’s very crowded, it’s really worthy. Eventually, you can go at non-touristic hours and it would be better! The view in both sides of the bridge, is really stunning. There are also few artists selling their art on there. It’s a great way to support local artists and to get a nice memory of the trip! We got some very nice postals/paintings on there, and it was possible to pay by card.

The Staroměstská radnice (Old Town Hall) is a 14th-century old town hall that is renowned for its observatory tower and intricate astronomical clock. The structure was damaged during the Prague Uprising of 1945, but was eventually rebuilt in a more simplified style. Today, it is one of the most prominent landmarks in Old Town Square. You can tour the tower and the underground areas, as well as the city council chambers.
The Old Town hall
Look on the web for the exhibition whether is open for public the old town hall. Time to time they taken visitors inside into the old Town hall for a large tour. On the door just next to the astronomical clock is the entry and sometimes also on the door is information when they do the tour which is really worthy to take. It is quiet long tour about 2 hours and they are take you up to the tower of the old Town hall and also two level down into the historical basement. There is also historical artefacts and overall very interesting tour o with historical guidance about the old Town hall and also information provided relate to the Prague history of the town.

Almost missed it, as the entrance is on the left of the Astronomical Clock. The Old Town Hall is impressive by itself, but it also gives access to see the saints behind the Astronomical Clock (the ones that pop out every hour) and you also get to go up the tower and have a panoramic view of the city. The ticket is not individual and you must buy the visit for the entire building to get to go up the tower.

Beautiful design of the clock, make sure to go inside the building , and clock chimes every 5 minute before an hour . if you're inside you can watch the characters taking their turn to move . It does cost some money and a pamphlet is recommended so you know what is going on in each room for its history . Make sure to visit the tower as you get a good view of the town square even prague itself

Visited the town hall / astronomical clock in a recent visit to Prague. We pre-booked tickets online and needed to exchange the online code for paper tickets at the desk prior to entry. I believe this would be useful in the summer but it was quiet enough in early February to not worry. The best part is the top of the tower which gives a great view over the main square, there are lots of steps so keep this in mind before you go. There are lifts you can pay for but they only take you some of the way.

Tip: 50% off tickets before 10am!
Great view but also incredibly beautiful inside. You can see the apostels that turn every hour from the inside.
Specially designed, unique elevator.

At first an important notice about tickets: if you buy a combined ticket for both old town hall and the tower entrance on the first floor, it costs CZK 480 for a family ticket. If you buy solely tower entrance, it will set you back CZK 600 for a family. So I recommend buying tickets on the first floor.
The old town hall is very impressive from the outside. The tower is very tall. In the inside in the “museum” there’s not much to see but it’s still worth going there. The view from the tower is astonishing. Absolutely loved it. If you’re around, it’s certainly worth it to go there and climb the tower, you won’t regret it.

I loved climbing up the stairs of the building and the tower seeing all the amazing paintings and interims design. And the view from the top was beautiful! If you’re in Prague you definitely have to check this out. A little pricey, but at least that means it doesn’t get too swamped.

Must-see tour of old Prague town hall but requires planning
The Old Town Hall tours (~$25/adult) offer a behind-the-scenes look at the Astronomical Clock and a glimpse into the medieval Czech high-society homes that later became this historic attraction. The guided tours, grouped by language, occur on a couple hour cadence and are usually quickly booked out. The guides are super knowledgeable and the guided tours also feature access to the dungeons / cellars, which were on the original street level of Prague!
The clock tower observation deck is a great vantage point to see the Old Town Square and the rest of Prague. There is a lift ($5 round trip) but the ramps to walk upstairs aren’t strenuous and easily accessible.

A lovely clock from the outside, but I would definitely recommend buying tickets for the tour inside and to go up the tower: the view is gorgeous. The tour includes access to view the mechanism inside of the clock as well as the underground rooms beneath the town hall and is well worth the money. When ascending the tower you can pay extra to take the lift, but I wouldn't bother as there is a spiral ramp as opposed to stairs which isn't particularly challenging or lengthy to climb. You can buy tickets on the third floor but may need to come back another day for your tour, as they book up quite quickly.

Super interesting guided tour of all the chambers and the underground of the Old Town Hall. We purchased the guided tour ticket, which consists of a general explanation of chambers, clock, paintings, and underground prison. The ticket did not include the lift to the top of the tower however, so we'd recommend purchasing that if you don't want to go to the top through the curly and narrow stairs (my mum felt a bit claustrophobic so we wish we had purchased that too!). Karolina, the tour guide, was great at explaining and keeping us entertained with fun facts throughout the whole tour. We learnt a lot about how the building was designed and how it changed throughout time, the hussites and the Moravian and Bohemian empires, and the gothic style of the time. Would strongly recommend going!

Worth popping in and ascending to the top of the clock tower for the views. You can pay extra for the lift, but alternatively you can take the lifts to level 4, before taking a ramp for a few floors, followed by a spiral stairs case. Takes about 5-10min to get up to the top.
You can also see the figurines from the atronomical clock from behind on level 1 and if you time your visit, then you can see them moving.

Entry for student about €8, well worth it in my opinion, even if only for the view from the tower.

The Old Town Square in Prague is a historic plaza that features many noteworthy Gothic and Baroque buildings. The square is a popular destination for tourists and locals, who come to admire the scenery and historical landmarks. The plaza also features a statue of Jan Hus, a religious reformer who was martyred in the 1500s.
An awesome place, that's for sure. One cozld spend hours there and still discover more and more details that are amazing. The buildings are beautiful and there are guides all around. There are a few food stands as well with Czech specialties for decent prices. It can get a little crowded every now and then, but most groups just rush on by and leave the place open and quiet after a few minutes. It was very clean, as well.

A great place to visit especially during the holiday season. Christmas market was packed but it was a beautiful scene. Lots of food, vendors, shopping, and nice scenery. Come enjoy the views and time well spent. Lots to do and see in the square. Most places speak multiple languages as well so it makes things a lot easier.

Too bad, I didn't know about the astrological clock that there is a "show" on every full hour.

This was my favorite place to be in Prague, whether in the daytime or at night. It is full of energy and beauty. I went up in the Town Hall Tower (without a guide) and it was 300 CZK so about $13.50 and totally worth it. Next time I would go with a tour which happens every 2 hours because they take you underground. Lots of shops and restaurants and the Clock Tower is beautiful!

The town square is aesthetically pleasing. It is advisable to visit during the spring or autumn seasons to avoid large crowds. I spent four days there, which was insufficient time to fully experience all that the city has to offer. 😄 The city is exceptionally beautiful! 😍

Very beautiful Old Town Square, a church with two towers, as if materialized from a fairy-tale world. A huge monument, where people each with their own facial expressions, the sculptor managed to convey the character of each image, the sculptures came to life for a moment ... And these inscriptions around the perimeter of the monument, parting words to descendants, take it to the soul .... Yes, this square is so mesmerizing, which takes you back to the Middle Ages. It is very cool!

I recently visited Prague and was able to stay just off of Old Town Square and the views are absolutely beautiful! You can visit the statue of John Huss, the town hall, various restaurants, and some little shops scattered around the square. At night, there were carriage rides and live music, and the lit up buildings were completely breathtaking. If I am ever in Prague again, I definitely want to stay in the same area!

At a walking distance from Charles bridge. Such a lively place with so many restaurants and small food places. The place is always crowded. Don’t miss to checkout the astronomical clock. When got to see it at 5 o’clock where the skeleton rings a bell.

Cool place to sit and chill on one of the benches at the middle of the square!
It’s super close to a lot of sights worth seeing and it has a lot of restaurants and cafes around.
The only downside is the prices you pay in the restaurants around the square - if you walk 300 meters from it (not toward the bridge) it will get alot cheaper.

I love visiting in the early morning when there is no crowd. Gives a nice contrast to the masses at night. The Christmas tree is enormous and beautiful. Absolute favourite part are the buildings around. Shops are too touristic for my taste, not very authentic.

It’s a must to visit, especially during the holiday season when here is Christmas Market. Very nice decorations, lots of food, souvenirs, etc. Decent prices for foods. Mostly paying by cash only. It can be a little crowded during the evening but the area is quite big. Try the mulled wine and the wursts. Delicious. The Christmas tree is enormous and beautiful decorated. Also, the astronomical clock is a must see in this square.

Go in the morning! Not even super early. Get there at 8:30-9 am and you'll still find the place deserted because all the tourist attractions open at 9:30.
2 hours later, you'll find it difficult to walk without elbowing someone.
Definitely get a ticket to visit the town hall. You can climb up for a beautiful view of the city.

Old Town Square is a landmark in Prague. On the square is a 12th-century building, White Horse. If you enjoy dining in a place with a wonderful atmosphere and delicious food, this restaurant is a must! You should eat downstairs to get the full effect of this restaurant. I had the goulash in the bread bowl, which was phenomenal! My husband had the spicy sausage. He loved it! There was live music on Friday night, which we really enjoyed! This is a place you must visit when in Prague!

This gorgeous, fun area is filled with restaurants, shops, and historic sites. If you visit the Old Town Hall be sure to watch the clock at 10 a.m. You will see the skeleton ring his bell to start the 12 disciples making their way past the windows. Purchase tickets to go to the top of the tower. The views of Prague are a once-in-a-lifetime experience! Don't miss the Illusion Museum and the Gallery of Steel Figures. Both are outstanding places to visit! And be sure to sample a chimney cake from one of the vendors. Old Town Prague might be the best area I've ever visited in many years of travel.

Old Town Square in Prague, Czech Republic, is the absolute best. It's feels as though you've stwp back in time. The magnificent building leaves you in awe. I looked up the whole time in Prague. I was told several movies are filmed in Prague because it resembles Paris. Paris wishes it was this beautiful. In the Old Town Prague, we rented scooters and drove around the cobbled streets. There was a bike lane that really helped.
We stopped and had a lovely dinner on multiple nights and ice cream in the streets. Old Town feels like fairytale meets Games of Thorns. It was quite expensive to eat in the tourist areas. In fact the prices were more expensive than the USA.

We visited for the Christmas Markets and we were not disappointed. A beautiful square with so many stunning buildings, including churches & monuments. The Christmas stalls were mainly selling delicious smelling food & drink but also lots selling Christmas gifts & novelties. The smell of cinnamon was lovely & the mulled wine.
The centre piece was a huge tree decorated with baubles and lights.
We visited firstly during the day and loved it but we returned the following day in the evening and it was spectacular the lights were amazing (the tree is switched on fully every evening) the whole square had a different feel to it so alive & vibrant. The food smelled even better & we succumbed to a hot dog each which was delicious plus my husband tried the old Prague ham.
There was music & lights and it felt so festive it was very heartwarming to experience it.
You can even go on a horse drawn carriage ride
A lot busier than daytime as there were people everywhere but everyone was in good spirits.
If you're there for Christmas it's a must

Beautiful experience with my family. If you are in Prague it is a must to come see this historical square. Personally the vendors and the souvenirs are lacking compared to what else is around the city. There are some awesome restaurants and coffee shops short walks away.
But being such an iconic square makes it worth the effort of being there.
Wang Church is a 12th-century wooden church that was originally located in Norway and later transported to Karpacz, Poland in the 19th century. The church's architecture resembles Viking longships, adding to its historical and cultural significance. Visitors can also explore the picturesque Karkonosze National Park nearby, known for its rare plant and animal species as well as breathtaking landscapes.
Historical landmark worth visiting, the square holds a few things to look at and the church is worth visiting inside where a tour is given and information about its origin. It is not free and it costs 2 PLN to walk around the square alone or 10 PLN to also enter the church. The tickets can be bought at the shop near the gate entrance.

The best Norse church you can see in Poland! Formerly a church in Norway from early middle ages moved to Karpacz and built again in 19th century. The area is very nice, although packed with tourists and entrance to church is paid. However the adjacent cemetery is really nice and the sights from the hill to the valley and mountains too. A must see when visiting Karpacz.

Adršpach-Teplice Rocks is a nature reserve featuring impressive sandstone rock formations, perfect for tours and rock climbing. The rocks were formed 85 million years ago under the Cretaceous sea, making it feel like a prehistoric wonderland. Visitors can explore clearly marked paths and enjoy the stunning beauty of nature. In winter, the area can be slippery but still worth visiting, while in summer, it's an ideal place to cool down.
Absolutely worth visiting. The Rocks are beautiful and the paths are clearly marked and mostly easily accessible even for inexperienced visitors. You can use a paid parking nearby. There are some eateries, gift shops and a free WC at the entrance.
It will take you 15-30 min to go around the lake and 1-1.5h to go the main route (of course depends on your pace).

Książ Castle, the largest castle in Lower Silesia, is a grand chateau-style complex situated on a hill overlooking the river Pelcznica and part of the Waldenberg mountains. Originally built in 1288 and expanded in the 16th century, it showcases Gothic, Baroque, and Rococo architectural styles. The castle offers guided tours with informative audioguides that seamlessly lead visitors through its rich history and art gallery.
This is a lovely castle, with a lot of history. Much of the interiors are unadorned compared to what they were, but the setting is stunning. It feels like stepping back in time, especially in the fall. There are paths to walk the grounds and access from the road is simple and scenic.

This is a beautiful castle with a lot of history. When you go in and purchase the ticket they give you several options one with the tour of the Underground included and I would recommend going that route as the tour underground is also very good. They will give you an audio guide that will walk you through the whole castle and give you the history and events that transpired through the years. The tour takes about the proximately 2 hours to complete with the audio guide and I like the way they set up their audio guide as you can skip ahead to something that interests you a little bit more which is a nice touch. The audio guide is location based. There is so much to see here and what I especially liked was the turn of the century pictures of everyday life. Some of the places in have amazing views of the surrounding Countryside and of the Immaculate Gardens. The gardens around the castle are just beautiful unfortunately the day I was there it was raining.

And when you enter the castle there is a toilet with an entrance fee - 5 pln, which in my humble opinion should be included in the price of the ticket. Overall it is a great place to spend a day with a family or loved ones.

We just visited the castle from outside as we didn't have enough time to go for a tour. There's an individual or combined ticket for castle, palm house and the undergrounds. Car parking is not free after the security guard, unless you're visiting the castle hotel. You can park it in the open parking space before the security guard for free. There is an ice cream shop near the castle which is a necessity in hot summers. Not sure if there's any restaurant though. There's a small vertical sprinkler through which you can go to refresh yourself in hot weather. You can visit Viewpoint too, which is a small walk type trek for 15 minutes. There's a fresh corn stick seller, each for 8 PLN. You can bring park stuff (mats, food, play items etc) also for relaxation. There are a lot of gardens and you can sit anywhere. The place is definitely worth a day trip.

I didn't enjoyed a lot the castle interiors, but from the outside it's probably the most beautiful castle I've ever seen. At the moment they have a very interesting photo exebition of the last chef. And nice cafe inside the castle (unfortunately you can visit it only when you are visiting the castle interiors, when we wanted to have a coffee there the next day after excursion, we were told that we should by ticket to the castle)

A self-paced tour of the castle was amazing! I was lucky to visit right before the Christmas decorations were going to be taken down, so it was twice the awe and pleasure.
Everything is so nicely organised, with the cheerful staff meeting you at the ticket desk, and then - second surpise with the Polish museums on this trip - a cloakroom employee kindly offering me a Ukrainian audio guide. Great thanks to the Castle team!
The exhibitions are a wonderful combination of the family history of the castle owners, of the Polish and world history impacting Ksiąz and its residents, and some terrific works of art.
It is also very efficient to have a "smaller tour" and a "broader tour with the family stories", so that you can choose what to listen to, also in terms of time available.
I listen to everything and loved it.
I learned a lot about the underground of Ksiąz and visited the Palm Garden 5-min drive away from the Castle (included in the ticket), with a huge collection of plants.

We Visited Ksiaz Castle in Mid of May, a very enjoyable and memorable trip. It’s really a Beautiful Castle 🏰❤️
As, I am from Pakistan 🇵🇰 we don’t have such Castle so visiting this place for me was exceptional experience. 😊
The Rynek is an expansive and charming medieval marketplace, featuring a vast cobblestone pedestrian-only path leading to its central square. The area is lined with quaint shops and stunning historic architecture, adding to its picturesque beauty. Visitors can stroll along the paved walkway, taking in the sights and sounds of this bustling hub of activity. Its enchanting atmosphere offers a glimpse into the rich cultural heritage of this unique destination, making it a must-see for anyone seeking an authentic European experience.
The Wrocław Africarium is a large zoological garden and oceanarium that contains exhibits of over 1,000 different animals from Africa. It is one of the oldest working zoos in Poland, and open all year round. The zoo also has an exhibit devoted to the flora and fauna of the Dark Continent, which are unique on an international scale.
A excellent place to spend with your family; The kids loved it; Various animals and everything is so near, you think you can touch the animals by hand; the Zoo is arranged very cleverly and the numerous signs everywhere help you find everything conviniently and enjoy your visit; The price is not cheap - but it is worth the money;

Very good experience. Plenty of water life to see and good size tanks /displays. This is set in the main zoo. Lots of educational stuff and displays. Loved seeing hippos and the seal lions / penguins and sharks. Possibly the highlight was the large turtle.

A part of Wrocław ZOO (you can go in on a regular ZOO ticket). It's really worth it. There are tunnels inside aquariums, hippos, seals and free birds flying around. Mind you it's meant to mimic African climate so it's hot and humid inside. If I were to complain about something it's that the modern building doesn't really fit the historical buildings in the rest of the ZOO

Huge zoo and well worth the money spent for a ticket. Lots of animals and facilities, the flora was also very impressive. You can spend a whole day there. We bought tickets online, scanned the barcode and entered the zoo. Bring your own food our have a meal at their bistro. Lots of vending machines if you want to grab a quick snack or get souvenirs.

This experience was truly amazing. I highly recommend for anyone. No matter age or interest in animals. This is a must see for all

A magical place within the city! No picture does the place justice. You have to go and live the experience! all those playful and happy animals in their incredible replica of their natural habitat Makes you forget you're inside a building . Amazing the job they did. Must visit in Wroclaw

Amazing place to visit while you’re in this large Wroclaws ZOO. Would be good to implement traffic wardens who would push those hundreds of people through, system similar to some of the larger museums - no way back and no blocking. Queue times are ridiculous but definitely worth waiting.

Amazing 🤩 place to visit with kids. Animals are held in good conditions. Aquarium is wonderful. Highly recommended.

Good place to visit with family or just on a nice day to relax, place wasn't very crowded, had many things to see, nice enclosures for the animals, you can spend a few hours in there. To get in you have to go inside the zoo. Definitely worth seeing

Our visit to the Wroclaw Africarium with my family was an unforgettable experience filled with wonder and excitement.
The highlight was undoubtedly the breathtaking underwater tunnel, where we were surrounded by graceful sharks and colorful fish, creating memories that will last a lifetime.
A visit to the Wroclaw Africarium is a must for families seeking adventure, education, and pure joy!

The overall planning is good. There are some facilities to assist children and drinking water. Although some enclosures are empty or under renovation, it does not affect the knowledge about animals conveyed here, and it can be seen that the animals are well taken care of. I really like the pavilion of cold-blooded animals and mimicry, but it was a pity that it closed too early and I couldn't finish it.

This is a must-see spot for people travelling to Wrocław with their family. The transportation by tram is easy from the city center. The building is right by the ZOO’s entrance. It houses all kinds of fish, mammals, birds and reptiles. There is a large seal and pinguin sanctuary. The restaurant resembles a passenger ship and offers a nice top view to see the penguins. It can get crowded on weekends. It is definetely worth checking out. Kids love it!!!!

We've spent literally hours there and I would gladly spend even more time. It's a tremendously well thought out and built attraction where you can watch animals in ab environment very close to their natural one. There are beautiful views including a tunnel over which sharks, turtles and other creatures freely swim. I loved the experience immensely.

This was an experience I'd remember for all my life.
I saw how a giant hippo was swimming under the water. It was amazing!
The atmosphere when you're inside the giant aquarium is unforgettable.
I wish I could spend a few hours every day there. It's like meditation.
The kids were happy too.
I highly recommend this place to all Wroclaw visitors.

The Africarium in Wrocław adds another layer of excitement to the city's zoo experience!
This specialized section immerses visitors in the wonders of African aquatic life. With a separate admission fee, it's a unique opportunity to explore marine ecosystems showcasing African flora and fauna. The interactive exhibits, informative displays, and vibrant marine life contribute to an educational and visually stunning journey.
Whether you're fascinated by underwater worlds or simply seeking a captivating extension to your zoo visit, the Africarium is a must-see attraction in Wrocław.

A bit crowded, best part of Wroclaw Zoo without this one probably I would count the visit as mistake. All water attractions looks a bit dirty - don’t know if it’s a matter of water or dirty glass. Should be addressed by Staff as it breaks animal experience for everyone. Under aquarium tunnel and under water windows makes great experience - zoo should somehow control amount of people- crowds all over this attraction makes difficult any movement around.
Kamil NOWAK — Google review
Very clean ZOO with great aquarium. I really appreciated the cleanliness of the water and glass. The part where you can sit and just relax is a great idea. Though not sure how it will be during busy times. Definitely will recommend everyone to visit. For sure, nothing is perfect, but I left with 5 star feeling. Haven't eaten there.

Some places of the zoo are really nice and animals look well taken care of, but we were disappointed with the monkeys. They were all stressed, angry or depressed looking, and that building where there is one old chimpanzee sitting behind bars on a bathroom like floor is really sad. Looks like zoos from the 60s or something. This Zoo definitely needs more reconstructions and enrichment for animals. Please don't let those poor monkeys suffer.

It's a really amazing zoo. Plan an entire day for your visit here to spend time seeing all the animals and birds.
The aquarium is the highlight.
Parking close by. Restaurants present inside the zoo.

It's such a huge zoo that it took me 4 hours to get around it completely...I highly recommend going on Friday to see the wolves before 12:00 noon! Because we were not warned and didn't see them there. You should also get your tickets online because there are long lines.
Anita Mildrade — Google review
Definitely the best zoo I have ever visted, the size of this location is massive meaning that there is a lot to visit and see. It's one tram away from the center of the city and takes you directly to the front entrance.
There is an entering free but definitely worth the visit. As many of my photos suggest there was a lot to take in, and even then I was only able to see half the zoo leaving the other half for my next visit.

A lovely day at the zoo.
Lots to navigate and a delicious finale at the bistro.
It seems most animal are well cared for, with the exception of some with small areas to roam. The birds seem distressed and unhappy and I think the monkeys are plotting a coup to overthrow the management staff.
Otherwise, a lovely experience.

The Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp is one of the most notorious sites of the Holocaust. It contains displays of gas chambers, and remains almost completely intact. It is essential to visit both Auschwitz I and Birkenau in order to truly understand the horror of the place.
A must see in Poland. There is so much history here. It's a much more real experience to see the remnants first hand than to learn about it in school.
Garrett Descoteaux-Friday — Google review
It's worth going here to get some understanding of the scale and suffering that Jews and others had handed out by the Nazis during their time in power.
Walking around the camp just shows what man can do to fellow man. The suffering and death on an industrial scale.
The museum does well to preserve the past so we don't forget.
There is a lot of walking involved so plan ahead especially if you take a guided tour as they move quickly but do give you lots of information about the camp and the people who went through the gates, many for the last time.

I am giving five stars mainly due to the fact that many people and organisations have taken concrete steps to ensure people don't forget what happened here during WWII. This place is a reminder of the darkest side of human nature, to torture and kill another human for the heck of it..
I would recommend this visit to everyone, and to soak in the history that took place not so long ago.
Rajan Thambehalli — Google review
It feels wrong to mark your experience as "loved it" for such a somber trip. It is however a trip everyone should make at least once in their life. Soon people who survived this horror will not be among us. It's important we remember and never let something like that happen again.

Probably one of the most badly organised tourist destinations in the world !
Always wanted to visit but was very disappointed, the complete cluster fxxk of the main entry, the inability to secure private tickets in advance via a official site, this resulted in almost 45 min to wait in a outdoor line until we could get to the ticket office and then another 2 hour wait until our time slot to actually get through the gate.
I'd gladly pay €5-10 for advance tickets if I could get a guaranteed time to get in when I arrive.
Once in there was no real flow or direction of what to see or what order to see it in. The official map was about as much use as sand in a desert, honestly a 5 year old could have drawn a better plan.
Inside large tour groups dominated all the various things to see and we were often barged out of the way or unable to pass them while they blocked doors or things to see.
My impression of the place has been ruined by visiting it and then when coming out, they don't even have clear signage where to get public transport back or a covered bus stop.
The urban planner / architect who designed the new entrance and coach part obviously never tried visiting as a tourist.

Easy to reach from Krakow, it deserves at least three hours of visit including the near Birkenau camp. Exhibitions are very well organized and documented. I'd have preferred to be alone in the visit, but I appreciated very much the guided tour lead by Lukasz Celta.

Impactful. This is the only way I'd describe this experience. Walking through this place will simultaneously send chills down your spine, and cause you to reflect a bit. Would highly recommend, but not for the faint of heart.

Very detailed tour, thank you Cristof. Very heartbreaking to learn of the humiliation, pain and suffering before being murdered by the sick and evil Germans involved. What they did after death was appalling and my heart bleeds for the victims.

Very informative, expect to take a whole day if you are walking both sides. Camp 1 (museum) has everything you need to know written, but for camp2 it’s best with guided tour or research before hand.

Incredibly somber and emotional experience. Seeing the scale of what happened here is overwhelming.
We visited on a nice sunny day, but I couldn’t help but feel what the conditions must have felt like for those held within the camp during the harsh polish winters.
A must see for anyone to remind us of what happened and try to ensure it can never happen again.

A huge museum, which is being restored to this day and is still being preserved. Book the tour in advance because you can get alone and for free only after 15:00. We got a very nice girl guide, it was very interesting and pleasant to listen to.
We visited both camps, the total tour took about 4 hours. This place is very atmospheric, creepy. It is obligatory for everyone to visit, you need to know and not forget the history so that there are no more such things.

Powerful to say the least!
This was part of my bucket list of places to visit and WOW it did not disappoint. Moving does not do this place justice, understanding what the Jews, gypsies and other minorities went through during the Second World War, you can watch as many documentaries as you like but actually walking in their footsteps really does bring it home…..Unforgettable
Jasna Góra monastery in Poland is a renowned spiritual site that was established by the Paulite order from Hungary in 1382. The hill on which it stands, Jasna Gora, is considered as the country's spiritual capital. It houses several remarkable sacred artworks apart from the celebrated Icon of the Black Madonna of Czestochowa. Pilgrims visit this shrine to witness miracles attributed to this painting in Lady Chapel, although there are other notable attractions too.
Beautiful place, I love it. The services are very often and also in different languages. Car park by the road next to monastery costs 7.2 zł (1.5£) per 3 hours. You can also eat very good food not far from the monastery. We ate at Kredens and food was delicious. It is 3 min walk from main monastery gate.

The sanctuary of Jasna Góra is a meeting place for Christians of a large part of Europe. It does not matter which time it is, it is always crowded. The sanctuary and the church are beautiful, and the guided visit is very instructive. Anything you would like to know will be answered by them. It is near the centre of Częstochowa, and is located in the most beautiful area of the city, being the sanctuary the highlight of it. A compulsory visit if you go to Częstochowa.
