The Shettihalli Rosary Church, a Gothic structure constructed by French missionaries during the 1860s, can be found in a picturesque waterside location. Road access is decent; however, some sections of the road are uneven and require parking one's vehicle on the side of the road and walking for roughly five minutes to reach the destination. The best time to visit is in the evening when you can enjoy stunning sunset views and refreshing breeze.
Since it is not a proper commercialized tourist spot, the road reaches around 300m away from the spot. From there, you can take your vehicle off-road or walk. There aren't much things to see inside or out, the church itself is a treat to the eyes.
Recommended timing: Mornings or evenings
There are no shops close by except maybe one or two sugarcane juice carts.

Road connectivity is good, roads are not too good there are some patched,
once you reach there You have to park your vehicle on the road and have to walk for 5 minutes to reach the destination
Try to visit during the evening, you can see the colorful sky and feel the cool wind.
There is not much to see but a good place to take some photos.
Usually fishermen come there to ask for a coracle ride for 100 or 150 rps, i prefer to avoid that, because they are not permitted to take you on the coracle as well there is no life jackets, they come there to make some small money but be cautious about what you choose, I'm writing this because I have took that ride for 150 rsp but didn't felt safe

Really a good place to go with your family or friends, consider going after 3 in noon or for the sunset.
It's just old place in the river side or banks.
You can also go boating here which costs 100-150 per person.
The place is always open to visit. During rainy season the church submerges under water to the tip so better visit it in summer or around. You don't have to worry about parking either.

It was a good atmosphere during weekdays, there will be no disturbance or much crowd. I visited during the first week of March. I suggest you guys to visit starting week of Rainy seasons and winter to feel the beauty of place and nature and much more.....
One more thing that do not miss the Sunset in the evening time....

This century old abandoned church is a magnificent structure located on the banks of Hemavathi river. It is a famous tourist spot and the church submerges during the monsoon and water level recedes during the summer. Parking is not available, but can park the vehicle on the road side and walk towards the church in the mud road for about 500 meters.

Splendid place to spend the evening. Don't expect a beautiful sunset, since an nearby bridge obstructs the view. I don't recommend getting into water since it seems dangerous. Best place to visit is in weekdays. In the weekends lot of crowd gathering will be there

It's a Gothic church in ruins frequented by mostly photographer community. The construction of the dam and reservoir makes it unique with the surrounding areas (and also the church in rains) under water. You can take a detour from Hassan and visit it on the way to other parts of Karnataka. Will not recommend it as main attraction . Looks better in pictures than actual (Alas it's a prey to those lovebirds with an innate zeal of proclamation and no sense of heritage or architecture). Good for testing your framing skills though.

Nice place to visit once. Good to visit during the afternoon and early evening time. Might get spooky during the late hours. No houses or colonies near the location. Seems to be a place to wonder about its origin, civilization and the history around it.
There are few vendors, who sell water, juice and snacks in portable vehicles. Saw a party having their pre Wedding shoot.
Can go there by car and bike. No tickets necessary. Maybe they should recognise it as a tourist spot and maintain it.
It's just a beautiful wreck which is not monitored by authorities and is abandoned to go unnoticed by the majority.

I never knew a ruins can be so beautiful and still standing strong in water.
Best spot for photo shoots nice scenery.
Best time to visit is summer. This is submerged in water during rainy season.
Ample car parking space. Small shop is also available for water and cold drinks but I recommend take your snacks and drinks along with you.
Well connected to road vehicles go right next to this place. No tickets required.
Can see lot of plastic bottles and covers thrown out. Please avoid dumping waste here when you visit.

Beautiful photogenic place situated at the backwater of Hemavathi reservoir. The road leading to the place is not in good shape. So drive carefully. When the Hemavathi reservoir is full, the church gets submerged in water and will not be accessible. The best time to visit would be when the water just starts receding, it provides a wonderful backdrop to the church.

Shettihalli Church is located 200km from Bengaluru in Hassan Karnataka. Built in the 1860s by the French missionaries in India, the church is a magnificent structure of Gothic Architecture. After the construction of the Hemavati Dam and Reservoir in 1960 the church was Submerged under water due to the dam, It has since then become a famous tourist spot where people flock to see the half submerged church during monsoon. It is also known as The Submerged Church and The Floating Church.. These ruins are best visited once during the dry season and again during the monsoons. Its a great site for a photo-op.. ⛪✨

If you are planning an sakleshpura trip, this is a must visit place. If you are visiting this place during the rainy season then you can see this church submerged but if you visit this place during summer you can go inside the church and enjoy the place but the worst part is no maintenance here people come and throw all possible things. And there is one more hidden temple in this place and is not visible to the naked eye, if you are carrying a binocular then if you view the point towards the dam you can sear the top part of the temple tower and again it can be seen only during summer.

No one says you are in Karnataka. Just beautiful Gothic charm Despite the decay, the church exudes a sense of history and mystery that is truly mesmerizing. It's a place where time seems to stand still, inviting contemplation and reflection amidst its fading grandeur.
Sumit Ranjan — Google review
Ruins of an old church. Large parts of the structure have collapsed due to constant flooding and no maintenance and many of the walls are defaced by visitors. However it's still nice to visit. You can ride all the way up to the church on cars or bikes. There's ample parking. When the water levels are down, you can even ride into the church ruins. There is also a nice view from the bridge across the reservoir. The approach roads from Hassan highway are scenic, but pass through villages, so you need to ride carefully. No stalls available near the spot, so need to bring sufficient water along
Zion Sandeep — Google review
It's a nice place to visit if you are nearby or visiting areas around. It is a remote location so don't expect any shops or other amenities in the near vicinity. You can easily spend 2-3 hrs looking around and appreciating the beauty of ruins/remains of this ancient structure. And can spend some time near the lake shore. It has some excellent silhouettes and will definitely be intriguing for the photographers as it provides a perfect backdrop for photoshoots. Also roads leading to this place are well maintained so shouldn't be a problem reaching there. Try to visit in the early morning or evening as sunsets and sunrises are definitely something you would love to watch.
Would have given 5 stars if it could be a little cleaner or maintained.

Came here for Bike Ride.
Over all journey was excellent, once we enter from main road to this church village road, we don't get any shops for snacks or other. Recommending to buy water and snacks in advance. Go to this place, enjoy bird sound and never throw any waste in the spot.

Shettihalli Rosary Church – Shot on Samsung
This is one of those very rare French Gothic architecture that we can get to see in Karnataka, A fascinating ruin, a romantic shoot location for a few while for some localites of Hassan do believe it to be still haunted! Haha.. Built by French Missionaries in 1860s was unfortunately submerged with the construction of Hemavati Dam & Reservoir.
Bangalore – Hassan road is a feast to ride on, it’s about 25kms from Hassan & once you deviate from NH 75 you shall enter narrow country roads which are pretty well maintained & it’s a short ride of 20mins or lesser before you reach the backwaters to this so called haunted yet enigmatic ruins.
Have fun & ride safe comrades..

This church deserves to be one of the top tourist spots in Karnataka. The church though in ruins look very majestic. Just like the historic ruins seen abroad. It's an excellent picnic spot as well! The location is very calm and serene. Would recommend to carry drinks/eatables as there are none nearby. Hope this will be preserved by the government.

If you are nearby Hassan or in that way then you might take this decision to visit this place.
Just a relaxing place and nothing much there.
No traces of complete history of the church, infrastructure completely shattered.
One can visit this places two time a year- monsoon and post monsoon.
During monsoon the church will be submerged in water to some extent and post that one can roam around the church.
This church is near a water body and next time to visit is during sunrise or sunset and the view is amazing.
No stalls available, no washroom or anything there.
Good place for photo shoot.

Really nice place and great church ruins. it could be made up really good tourist place! the church is more than 100years old. such structure should be protected and atleast boundary marked so as to not find beer bottles and plastic all around it. A little care from locals, tourist and tourism department can protect the structure and nature around it. Very peaceful location.

No words can describe the beauty, magnificence and sheer craftsmanship of this temple. Whatever you say falls short to the beauty that you witness here.
You should definitely visit this place if you haven’t already. Just look at the work here and you will be left baffled. What they did 1100 years ago, we cannot achieve it today even with the all the machinery that is present today.
The boldness, the imagination, the intricacy, the efforts that the sculptors of that era have showcased here is inexplicable.
Very easy to locate, it has a huge parking space available. Opens at sunrise around 6:30am and closes at 6:30 in the evening. There is no entry ticket. You can just enter the temple and enjoy the art.
There are guides available for 500₹. They will tell you of some of the important artworks there and legends behind those.
Highly recommended. Please do visit this temple to get amazed by our heritage and culture.

The Hoysaleswara Temple in Halebidu, Karnataka, India, is a mesmerizing masterpiece of ancient Indian architecture. Constructed during the 12th century under the Hoysala Empire, this temple is a testament to the architectural brilliance of that era.
The Hoysaleswara Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu and stands as an outstanding example of Hoysala architecture, characterized by its intricate stone carvings. The temple complex comprises two shrines, one for each deity, and is surrounded by a large courtyard.
The exterior of the temple is adorned with an astounding array of finely detailed sculptures. These intricate carvings depict scenes from Hindu mythology, stories from the Ramayana and Mahabharata, divine beings, animals, and intricate floral motifs. The level of detail is breathtaking, showcasing the exceptional craftsmanship and artistry of the Hoysala artisans.
One of the remarkable features of this temple is the lathe-turned, star-shaped pillars. These pillars are known for their precision and elegance, with each one boasting unique carvings that are remarkably well-preserved despite the passage of centuries.
The temple's architecture follows a trikuta (triple shrine) plan with intricately carved shikharas (spires) on top of each shrine. The intricate design and careful symmetry of the temple are awe-inspiring.
Intricacy and artistry are not limited to the exterior; the interior of the temple is equally impressive. The hall leading to the sanctum sanctorum is adorned with ornate pillars and finely carved ceilings, creating an otherworldly ambiance.
The Hoysaleswara Temple stands as a living museum of ancient Indian architecture and art. Its detailed carvings, symmetrical design, and overall grandeur make it a must-visit destination for history enthusiasts, art aficionados, and spiritual seekers. A visit to this temple is a journey back in time and a remarkable experience that leaves visitors in awe of the architectural genius of the Hoysala dynasty.

Baba Budan giri is a well-known mountain peak featuring a cave shrine dedicated to Baba Budan, a revered Sufi saint from the 1500s who is worshipped by both Hindus and Muslims. It offers an ideal destination for those who love trekking and exploring caves. The trek to this peak covers a distance of around 9-10 kilometers, which can be completed in approximately 5-6 hours in two phases.
Bababudangiri is an amazing trek in the mountains of Chikmagalur, located at a distance of 250 km from Bangalore. It's a very good trek point on the weekends. From here you can see the peaks of Budangiri and Mullayanagiri looming at a distance. Together, the two mountains appear like a crescent moon, therefore known as the Chandra Drona Range.
The Budangiri mountain is also an important pilgrimage for Hindus and Muslims for the legacy of the Sufi saint Baba Budan and the Hindu deity Dattatreya.
Some of the highlights of this trek are- walking on the Blade Ridge on the way to Mullayanagiri, camping and campfire in the forest clearings, ancient cave explorations, and stunning hellscape photography from several viewpoints along the way. The Blooming of the kurinji flowers on the low-lying slopes of the Nilgiris is a rare seasonal attraction in these parts of the hills.
The flowers blossom at an interval of every 12 years, cloaking the entire vicinity in shades of blue, giving the Nilgiri hills its name!

The drive to Baba Budangiri Hills is an experience in itself. Winding roads snake their way through lush greenery, offering glimpses of the Western Ghats shrouded in mist. As you climb higher, the fog thickens, creating an air of mystery and anticipation. To truly appreciate the beauty of the hills, start your journey early in the morning. The crowds can get thick later in the day, especially at the shrine. The fog, while enchanting, can also limit visibility, so be cautious while driving and enjoy the ethereal atmosphere.

Hebbe Waterfalls is a picturesque tourist attraction on a coffee estate featuring cascading waterfalls standing at 551 feet tall. Visitors can access the falls by hiking or hiring an SUV for about INR 3-4k accommodating up to seven people. The SUV ride is quite thrilling and lasts for about half an hour. Once at the parking lot, visitors must walk to reach Hebbe Falls which takes around 20-30 minutes.
Wow, what a wonderful place, Natural, serine small streams of river following through.
To reach u can drive your vehicle till the parking lot, then need to hire SUV's costing between 3k to 4k for a family for 6 to 7 members, SUV ride is nothing short of adventure park roller coaster and gets completed in about half hour, then you need to walk to reach Hebbe Falls and this most beautiful part of it with scenic views all around, track reaching the Falls is very safe for all buy is good 20 to 30 minute walk, view from Falls is breath taking and swimmers can enjoy good swim.
PS. Be careful if u have senior citizens or infants with you....

One of the Craziest Waterfalls I have ever seen. Greatest Life experience this waterfall was heavy which actually made it look more beautiful.
How to reach here? Answer : Our Vehicles are allowed to only a Particular extent. Later from there They will arrange a vehicle which will take us to the top of the Mountain where it's impossible for Our vehicles to reach. And they will take us to one point and from there we have to trek over few small bridges till 1Km and there you find this awesome falls

Surreal waterfalls. Have to take a jeep ride to reach waterfalls. At that time it was ₹500 per person. Driver is very friendly. He’ll show wild animals on the way and tigers(if visible).
Go there during monsoon once and during non-monsoon once, at least. The way to waterfalls in the jeep is thrilling too.
You’ll cherish the experience for years. :)

I went to hebbe falls with my family and cousins in month of May . Many of them doesn't know about this spot . It's one of the best falls in Karnataka. Water is pure and less crowd . Had a refreshing time around nature ❤️ You have to park your vehicle and go half the way by Jeep( government) and Trek few kilometres to visit this falls . We carried some snacks and soup packets with us as there is no food stall inside . Please don't pollute this area.

Standing at Hebbe Falls, I'm engulfed by its mesmerizing grandeur. The cascade plunges from a considerable height, creating a dramatic spectacle as it crashes onto the rocks below. A fine mist rises, creating a refreshing, almost mystical atmosphere. The surrounding forest, with its towering trees and dense vegetation, adds to the enchantment. The roar of the waterfall competes with the chirping of birds and rustling leaves, creating a harmonious symphony of nature. The pool at the base is inviting, tempting me to take a dip in its cool waters. Hebbe Falls is a breathtaking masterpiece of nature, a place where time seems to stand still in the embrace of its beauty.
Consider the 30-minute safari.
Factor in a 10-minute trek to reach Hebbe Falls.
Remember to bring salt due to the potential presence of numerous leeches.

Good place. You have to pay ₹500 per head or ₹4000 for full jeep for Jeep travel, which takes 30 mins to reach the falls. You will have 1:30 hours to spend time. Again go back in same jeep. No restaurant near by

INCREDIBLE place! A must visit! Depending on how safe the waters are, you can literally go stand under the waterfall.
You have to take a jeep to reach the waterfall. They charge ₹500/head and they don't allow any other vehicle beyond the starting point. The ride takes about 30mins but it is very scenic by itself. But the amount is absolutely worth paying.
I visited in July, peak monsoon season. Visibility is low and you can't see the valley on the way to the falls. The waters are more full though, and the waterfall looked majestic.
Beware of leeches though! Do not stray away from the path.

One can reach here by jeep, 500/- person. Nice view on the way. Once you reach the point the jeep driver will stay there for 1 hour. From jeep point to hebbe fall is walking distance approx 800-1000 meter one side that needs to be covered and return back within an hour.
Walking through the forest. We went in the month of November.

Unveiling a hidden gem near Kemmanagundi, Hebbe Falls offers a double dose of adventure. First, navigate a thrilling jeep ride through verdant coffee estates. Then, embark on a short trek that winds through scenic beauty, building anticipation for the grand finale. The reward? A majestic two-tiered waterfall. Immerse yourself in the cool mist, the lush greenery, and the invigorating roar of the water - a perfect escape for nature lovers and adventure seekers alike.

Just an awesome place. From the check post, you have to hire a jeep which cost rs.500 per person. Hebbe falls is a 12 km Jeep journey from the forest check post point. The jeep ride is very hectic for aged people because the road is very bad. Young people can handle the jeep ride. We enjoyed this ride very much. The so-called road (🥴) is through the Bhadra Reserve. Visit early, otherwise, the place will become very crowded later and you have to wait for a long to get a jeep.

Waterfall is very good. The 10-15 minutes walk to waterfall is also amazing. Its a 1 day round trip from chikmanglur.
IMP : You can park your pvt vehicles near forest dept checkpoint, but u can ONLY reach there by forest department Jeep. This takes around 1 hr of waiting time, and there are NO food stalls there.

Worth a visit.
I visited on July and it's mild raining. Need to take jeep to reach. Govt price is 590/head there are some private jeeps charging 500/ head but congested. After the jeep ride, need to walk for 2km. The path is very very slippery in rainy time, better have good shoes.
Falls is huge, and have pool like setup. It's good enjoy even for kids.
No change room. And beware of leeches.
Premkumar K — Google review
Beautiful waterfall in Bhadra Wild life sanctuary. Jeeps charge ₹500 per person for two way trip from the entry point. It's about 40-50 minutes journey by jeep. From morning till afternoon the jeeps are available to visit the waterfalls every 15 minutes and they get 12 people seated in a jeep. One hour and fifteen minutes of time is given to visit the waterfalls and come back after they drop you near the waterfalls. There is another 20 minutes walk through the jungle from jeep drop point to reach the waterfalls.
No washrooms or changing rooms at waterfalls. Hence visitors should change the clothes and use wash rooms at a place where jeep rides start before and after visiting the waterfalls.
Elderly people with back ache should take care because the jeep ride is through rough terrain otherwise the ride is enjoyable through the beautiful forest area.
Also beware of leeches in slow or stagnant waters surrounding the main waterfalls area.
In summer also this waterfalls has plentiful water. The rocks are slippery, but once you carefully pass them and reach below the waterfalls then there is a nice sandy bottom and enjoy the bath in about up to 6 feet deep water.
Dipak Parmar — Google review
Beautiful waterfall with stunning views. One should take a Jeep (compulsory) by paying a decent amount. Those people will do an off-road riding for 9 kms and we have to Trek for around 1 km to reach the falls. A must visit waterfalls specially during monsoon.

Hebbe falls is one of the popular place to visit in Chikmagalur, you can enjoy 5-6km jeep safari with 500 per person cost, its completely off-road jungle safari, you can spot few animals if you are lucky enough, wild deer can be easily seen. You have to walk for 15-20 min with gradual ascent, descent, flat terrains to reach Hebbe fall. You can take a bath under fall if interested or just enjoy its drops like shower by seating on rock at some distance away from waterfall. You have to come back by 1 hr to 1.25 hrs at jeep safari parking to go back. It will take minimum 2-3 hours depends on rush.

Hebbe Waterfalls is a nature lover's paradise! The journey through the dense, verdant forest to reach the falls is an adventure in itself, setting the stage for the breathtaking spectacle that awaits. As the cascading waters plunge amidst lush greenery, a sense of tranquility washes over you. The natural pool at the base is an inviting oasis, perfect for a refreshing dip. The sheer beauty and raw power of Hebbe Waterfalls make it a must-visit destination. It's a symphony of nature, where the sound of falling water harmonizes with the serenity of the surrounding landscape. Truly a hidden gem in the heart of Karnataka

Admiring the Cascade offers a truly breathtaking view, and the experience of walking through the woods is priceless, especially during winter.
The wait was a bit longer as they needed to accommodate 13 members in a vehicle.
Additionally, the price is higher (500 per head). They provide around one and a half hours to spend time in the waterfalls. The jeep safari takes almost 30 mins.

A wonderful place for nature lovers and those who love trekking. A very safe, quiet, and beautiful place to be seen. You need to reach the starting point where you will find Jeep ready to take you through the rough terrains across the jungle. Then you will have to trek through a carefully laid out path that will take you straight to the waterfall.

One of the most beautiful falls, located in the mid of forest. Around 1.5 hr from city centre, you can take the car till the booking spot. Then you are taken into a van/jeep 590/- per person.( Although while coming back, we saw that booking was being taken straight from the main gate and was written as 500/- and it wasnt available in the morning)It takes around 3.5-4 hrs of total time including a 12-15 mins trek in the last. You can take a dip in the fall though it is very slippery. My advise is to Visit it in the early morning for lesser crowd.
Very nice place. We went here with team. The parking place is around 1km away from the spot. Need to walk through hills to teach the place. Kayaking and jumping around in the water was the most fun thing to do here. You will have to wear the life jacket through out though. Breakfast and lunch is alright. Good food. Over all very nice place for a team outing. They have the paintball too but the guns were out for repair that day. The place offers night camping too.

The main attraction of this place is water. been there for one day outing. Food is not at all good. But you will enjoy the day. Also location is beautiful 😍 .Rest room is too far and why there is no mirror?

Very good place to spend a day's time with your team. You have to trek for 20 mins to reach the camp once vehicle is parked in the nearby village.
The camp organizes a few team building activities and adventure activities like rope walking, kayaking and boating in manchanbele dam. But the fun part is that you are allowed to swim in the waters with a life jacket. They also serve decent Breakfast, lunch and tea/coffee snacks.
sachin thirumala — Google review
Water sports activities are good but they have less boats now available and out of all boats few are not in good working condition, food was ok keeping in mind that place is far from normal living area, rappling was good, rope activities are also ok, staffs are polite, this place is mostly for adventure loving people rather than relax, dance, games(cricket, volleyball, paintball, etc) loving people. No paintball, and mud driving.

If your are ready for a 1km hike before you get to the place, then this place is for you. XtremeZone is not all that "Xtreme". The food was horrible. A local villager we talked to said that they prepare meals in a very unhygienic manner. The staff was somewhat helpful. The owners have no regards for customers though. I would not recommend this place to anyone. The only plus point is the long drive.
Nischal Mahaveer chand — Google review
Nice place for team outing. Best part was swimming and kayaking in river. Other than that rope activities and team building activities were good. Food was ok. Avallaki in breakfast was smelly. Had to throw it as it is. Sambhar vada and idli was good. Reached there by private bus which we booked for our team. Bus was parked at some 1.5kms away from destination. Had to track to location from there. Since its an adventure camping zone so don't expect any air conditioning room or place to rest. Your whole day is going to be tiring. We started from Bangalore at 8 and reached there by 10.30. Evening we left at 5.30 and reached back by 8.30.

Moderate to difficult trek. You might feel exhausted during the trek. But you will experience its worthiness when you reach the peak. Morning 6 to 10 is the best time to trek and see some foggy views. (Visited in july)

One of the best Trekking spot for mid-level trekkers. Never forget to take a stick with you to keep away monkeys.
Final peak trek is a bit difficult because of steep and very narrow steps. If you have any back bag or food item then, beware of moneks they ll come anytime to pickup.
There are shops to have snacks and buy drinking water.
Binny gan — Google review
Suitable trekking spot for beginners, one can easily get to the peak around 60 minutes. Be careful about the monkeys around, it’ll always try to snatch your backpack looking for food. If possible, try not to carry any backpacks, as it is food stalls are available at various check points through the ascend.

Nice hill, with intermediate stops in between. The uphill time is 3 hours and the downhill time is 1.5 hours approx. There are enough refreshment shops available till the mid-hill, and one shop at the top. But the trekking is strenuous during summer, unless started very early in the morning. There are good village type hotels at the entrance.

Overall: Fantastic and very much exciting trek.
Difficulty:Between High to Very High. Not recommend for kids, senior citizens and people with knee problems. Wear trek pants or half pant(recommend for trek) so that your knees are well supported.
A proper trek shoe is must along with other accessories such as sun glasses and hat. You can’t manage an umbrella there as you have to climb by holding the railings. Be careful of monkeys and they are the most smartest creature you will find there. They put hand inside your pocket and take out the mobile, wallet, etc. Even they open the backpack zips to check.
Each one would need 2 to 3 ltrs of water. Not to worry as you have plenty local shops up to the top who supplies all needed item to hydrate your self.It is advisable to carry one bottle of water always. If you are starting early, you wouldn’t find many shops open, so have back up plan.
Start time-I recommend you start climbing early by 6-7AM. You should be back by 11AM. Wear you shoes while you start entering the temple as the steps starts from there and you have to take a diversion after climbing 100 steps. It is allowed up to go to the point and take left from there. Else again you have to come down to take the shoes.
Pulak Das — Google review
Awesome trekking place near bangalore, the climb across different levels of the hill is exciting and the surrounding scenery is breath taking. The trail is straightforward and well marked with proper steps. The last stretch climb is a little steep but rails are in place and its not too difficult.
Parking near the temple can be a hassle as the day progresses but there is ample parking space nearby where you can park and walk back. Vendors with food stall are available along the trek route as the day progresses but not if you start very early in the morning, but atleast on the way back you will have something to drink or munch on. At the very top, monkeys are a menace, dont leave anything out or in their eyesight or it will disappear. I saw 2 folks lose their bags as the monkeys carried them away.
Overall its a good and enjoyable trek that can be enjoyed by all age groups. Would suggest to avoid during summers as it can get really hot, ideal time would be after monsoons when the landscape is lush green.

Excellent trek just outside Bangalore. Awesome view during monsoons...though it was very breezy ..but thoroughly enjoyed the solo trek...thankfully it didn't rain that time.
Monkeys were in abundance and few of the supporting rails are broken so be aware of monkeys snatching any items resembling food...n be careful esp after mid point as slope gets steeper.

Best place for one day trekking from Bangalore... It will take upto 2 - 2½ hrs to claim the mountain... 1 hr for comeback
Only when you have 20% to go to the top of the hill will you feel a little strained
You can enjoy it if you are going with frds...
Warning :
1. water bottle is mandatory.. else there you can buy a little huge amount
2. Be careful from monkeys... Don't show there that you are a pet lover... Some of them lost their mobile phone or bag backs... Don't keep anything in your shirt pocket

Heres my complete experience today on a saturday hope it helps to guide. It was a wonderful trek worth it the top view, took around 2 hours to climb and much faster while descending back down 1hr 45 around. Try to start the trek accordingly so you finish it and are back down by 5pm before dark and atleast enjoy good 20mins on the peak. The trek is quite simple easy, could see many grandmas reaching the very top you just need to have the zealth to reach the top and om namashivaya, you'll reach there. Only one part will slow you down the steep ascend with small steps just watch out not to slip. Good thing there are rails for support through out the trek making it better and safer. On the note monkeys here are clever but not mad attackers they're fearless and will try to snatch covers away from you even climb on you to inspect your bags for food so yeah don't be scared and never be dumb to hit them try to tackle. Stick with a group or best carry a water bottle and ditch the bags you'll find snack shops throughout the trek (prices are slightly higher). The top of the very mountain has a superb view, 2 temples and two stambas one big nandi. Some have a belief if you through a coin and it lands right on top of the stamba your wish may come TRUE check out the video. There is a spot on peak behind temple that is much more peaceful most people miss it out check out the pic and video. Spend quality time on top enjoy and be back before dark I just laid down on the top. I find the trek is worth the top view and the journey to the peak itself.
Decide and becareful cautious on whether or not to trek on rainy days dunno hows its on rainy days safe or not to trek. It's not challenging like savanadurga you can make it but always look into your current situation you may win a battle if not be back strong to win it again. It's easy trek only bro don't worry. Check them pics and videos out. If your planning to visit just go it's nice.

Absolutely beautiful and a must visit. A detailed visit takes around 3.5 hours with the help of a guide.
The fort opens at 6 am and it's the best time to visit when the sun is still not out.
Make sure you carry couple of bottles of water.
Ticket charges are 20/-
Guide charges are 500/- to 1500/- depending on the time and places you want to see inside the fort.

Beautiful fort maintained normally but efforts should be taken to make it far better. The way to fort is so narrow to reach and parking is small. Weekdays are mostly free while comparing to weekends it’s almost little crowded. You can opt for guide with multilingual skills and may charge you around 200-1000 it’s not a fixed one as the trust has not taken any actions. It takes approximately 1-4hours to explore the entire fort, it’s vastly spread with more details. Best for students to explore and experience the old civilisation. There are proper dustbins placed in all places where we can keep the fort near and clean. Also fresh refrigerated water dispenser in most places and toilet facilities for both genders. A must visit place for people who wants to explore new places and learn history of India.

1. Must visit place if visiting to chitradurga.
2. You need to buy ticket online at entrance. Carry u'r government Id or remember the ID number. It's needed while purchasing ticket online. Ticket cost = Rs. 20.
3. Wear good gripped shoes & comfortable cloth because it may take 1 day to cover the allowed places in Fort.
4. Don't go on the top of hill if you're not confident.
5. Carry snacks & water & please don't litter & save the Fort.
6. The Fort is well maintained but only thing is people do littering and it affects the overall heritage. Dustbins are provided at every step please use that.
7. There is a great story for every temple, cave, etc. inside the Fort. It's written there. Please read it at it's important to know the history as well.
8. There are few toilets inside. There are water filters installed at several places. But the water is not good. So please carry your own water bottles.

Exploring its labyrinthine passages and ancient temples is like stepping back in time. The panoramic views from the fort's vantage points are breathtaking. The preservation efforts are commendable, making it a must-visit destination for history enthusiasts. You must have 1 days to visit complete fort.

Great place . U can finish it in 2-3 hours or can spent much more time according to your interest. We spent nearly 6 hours there and it is 100% worth it(we would have spent much more time if possible)
Don't follow crowd if you want to see every bit of it.
Maps have been given in every corner it is a great help if you want to see all of it. Carry water as much as possible. Even though there is one shop inside better to carry water.
If you want to see every bit of it avoid guide , they are only going through few important and near by ruins ( don't if if it is because of the preference of travelers still most of the places are not covered by tourist)

A historical fort located within the city. Well maintained and has information at prominent places to explain the history of the place. Guides are also available if you want to dig deeper into the history of this fort. I visited in Nov and if was cool and breezy even at 11 AM. Good for photography lovers. A small refreshment shop is available inside the fort (not a big one. Kind of petti shop). One would need at least 2 hrs to visit this fort fully. Involves lot of walking as it's a very big fort.

There's 11 Elephant's stables. All of them are interconnected with each other. There is entry fee of Rs.40 per Indian adult. Inside this complex there are plenty of historical monuments.
The whole building looks symmetric with respect to this central hall. The tower of the central hall resembles (though mostly destroyed) more like that of temples. However the five pairs of domes on either side are of Islamic in style. They are better preserved and of alternating patterns. Metal hooks (used to tie the elephants) on the inside roof can be seen. At the rear of each hall are small manhole type openings for the mahouts to enter the elephant compartments. It's one of the UNESCO World Heritage Site
A big Lawn Area to sit and relax, fresh air it was awesome experience.. Try to visit in the morning or evening.

One among the few least destroyed structures in Hampi, Elephant Stable is a major tourist attraction. This long building with a row of domed chambers was used to ‘park’ the royal elephants. There are 11 domed tall chambers; some of them are inter- connected. The center one is specially decorated and big. Probably the musicians and the associated band troupes had been using this during ceremonies involving elephant processions.

The home of Royal Elephants, the Elephant Stable is a conjunction of grand structures meant as a resting ground for elephants whose job was perhaps to protect the queens and her entourage from any kind of enemy attacks. I had an absolutely fantastic Darshan of the Garbha Griha and was also fortunate to watch the Mandir Elephant going back to her shed.

Beautiful monument and temple. Booking tickets online will save you money and time. Try to make it to the temple early in the morning especially during summer months, not a lot of shade and it gets very hot from noon till 5 pm. There is a 1 km walk from parking, or a shuttle. The shuttle is not sufficient for the crowd, so might end up waiting up to an hour depending on the crowd, one shuttle transports 9 people and they have 3 shuttles running. If you decide to walk, there’s no wait, but not a lot of shade on the path. Would recommend hiring a guide if you are interested in learning the stories carved on the walls and pillars.

So much touched by the ruins of the ancient iconic temple that has amazing stone structures such as the incomparable stone chariot and the fascinating musical pillars. The temple exemplifies the immense creativity and architectural excellence possessed by the sculptors and artisans of the Vijayanagara times.

Famous tourist spot. We visited on 15 January & it was very crowded due to the festival and Sunday.
Parking was 500 meters away from the main entrance, so we had to take an auto from there. After reaching the main entrance, we took a battery operated vehicle to reach the main temple area. Charges were Rs.10 per person. Ticket for the main temple area was Rs.40 per person. A very big area with many temples/ruins. Many guides are available. The famous chariot from the Rs.50 note was the main attraction. In return, again the battery operated vehicle took us back to the main entrance.

Wonderful place....the chariot inside is what u find on the backside of a Rupees 50 note...nice carvings , beautiful architecture...awed at the way such things were done without any modern knowledge and resources expertise..
U have to walk for a km from the parking till the temple or stand in a queue and climb on the battery operated vehicle...ticket fare is 40 per adult...

A mesmerizing journey from Delhi brought me to this enchanting marvel. The temple, a symphony of culture and architecture, truly left me spellbound. And oh, the pillars! Tapping them produced magical musical notes that echoed through history. Don't miss the chance to witness this unique spectacle - grab your ticket and immerse yourself in the grandeur of bygone eras. A must-visit to rediscover the splendor of our incredible history! 🎵🏰

This is one of the temple complexes in Hampi. You can witness the stone chariot and music pillars though you cannot touch the music pillars. You have to walk nearly 1km to reach the complex from the parking area, it is better to use the electric caddy service provided as it will be sunny and hot.

Great Place, amazing architecture, constructed by stone about a 700 years ago. The Stone Chariot is a must see in real. Amazing place to visit for history buffs. I wish the temple was maintained well, no restrooms and the transport is tough but if you get there you will be rewarded highly.

Amazing experience to visit this temple and great experience for the kids as well. There is so much to know and learn about our rich cultural heritage that’s completely missing from the tex books and can’t be covered in school curriculum. Travel to these marvels and architectural masterpieces is the only way to enrich oneself with the vast knowledge and understand the history. Must visit place in Humpi.

The only word that comes to my mind after seeing this structure is Brilliance! What a beautiful piece of artwork- every inch of the masterpiece is so amazingly built that words are not enough to describe it. The setting is superb! The carvings on the pillars are fabulous. Hats of to the artisans who created such a beautiful temple!

Must visit place in Hampi
Ample parking space available
From the parking there is a long walk(around 750 meters) to the actual temple. Its worth the walk if you do not want to miss the old market place ruins and beautiful pond on the way. Battery operated vehicles are also available if there are kids and elders.(Rs 20 per head)There will be some queue , but it moves fast. Once you reach the actual temple a nominal fee of Rs 40 is charged per head.
It is worth taking a guide if you are really interested about the glorious history of the place. You find certified guides around the temple. They charge around 500rs to show the temple around. But knowing the history really adds value to our visit, which otherwise would end up just as a selfie destination.
Saraskanth T.K. — Google review
The majestic temple is an absolute man made marvel. Even in the scorching heat in peak summer, you would still end un enjoying visiting the place. The guides here charge a mere 300 INR but again their commitment to helping you understand the beautiful history of the place is average (value for money).
Ideally you should visit this place either early in the morning or late in the evening to beat the heart and do have a guide to tag along. Don’t walk to the temple, take a e-rickshaw and while returning you can walk if you want.
Chinmoy Mishra — Google review
One of the most popular place in Hampi. The stone chariot printed in the 50rs note is located here. If you are coming by own vehicle you can drive upto the parking and from there we get the buggy vehicle for the 1km distance to the temple or else can walk. If you are visiting Hampi by public transport then the best way to reach here is to walk from Hampi bazaar area which will be a distance of 2.5km. This walk through the beautiful historical remains of Hampi including Achyutaraaya temple & Kings balance is a great experience. The distance to here from Virupaksha temple by road is 8km and autos may charge 300-400rs. You will get autos nearby the parking area. Couldn't find any buses to here.
The place is very beautiful and well maintained. Ticket rate was 40rs and we can use the same ticket for other monuments in Hampi.

Hampi is a place which has a lot of monuments spread across an area of more than few square kilometres.
You will always find a board in all the monuments which states where you are along with a list of more than 60 places to see or visit.
Refer to the pics posted in this review and you can see a lot of the items.
You need to understand that touring hampi is not a days job. It will take 3 days to see all the spectacular sites. It hurts to see so much destruction done by humans in the past. Imagine these over 650 yrs old and still standing. The natural damage is way less than damages done by humans.
Every where you go there will be a cluster of things to see and you can see them one by one.
All maybe listed as different places in maps but you have to understand that they are different architectural marvels but located within the vicinity of a major grand structure.
It’s always good to explore self rather than blindly believing the reviews posted by amateur like us.
Visit HAMPI once in your lifetime for sure.

Sri Raghavendra Swami Vaari Matham is a sprawling temple complex situated along the riverside, dedicated to a Hindu saint. The temple boasts of magnificent stone carvings and hosts daily rituals. Visitors can contribute to Annadanam and buy prasadam as well. The temple provides ample space for devotees, with many lodges available in the vicinity for accommodation.

A place from where you think of never returning to your home. A place where you can come again and again but still will feel that vibe and connection with god. On the clean bank of Tungbhadra river this temple is must visit in south india. One of the best ever. And also the great historical place.

I visited the temple today 15.5.2022 with my sisters. Had a peaceful darshan though there was rush. We contributed to Annadanam. Finally we came to buy prasadam. Prasadam per pocket is Rs 25/-. I gave 50 and the lady sitting in the counter asked me rudely to get change or make way for others. We come from far of places to see Raghavendra God. But I was upset as she shouted at the top of her voice. Please post people who help and understand the devotees. My other experience in the temple was very good.

This place is loaded with posative vibes. I had a very lucky and quick visit to this temple site. Blessed to have visited and got the darshan of this place. Very well maintained place. Has a large courtyard and a majestic walkway to the temple. The river flowing behind the temple adds to the beauty.
The museum next to the temple is very interesting. It gives you an insight into our religions well as the vast cosmic universe . The various Lords / God and Goddess explained. Children should be exposed to this. Found meaning in why we say a prayer prior to meal, how to, and like. The body as a whole and its system too explained from religion point of view.
Lot of visitors. Has multiple options to stay and eat.
Must visit and get blessed once in a lifetime .

Golconda Fort, located just 11 km from Hyderabad, was the capital of a kingdom that thrived from the 14th to 16th century. The fort boasts 87 semi-circular bastions and sits atop a 120-meter high granite hill surrounded by massive ramparts. It passed through the hands of various dynasties before being claimed by the Qutb Shahis in the 16th century.
Nice historical place, you can see the city from top.
Different things to see and explore hardly takes 2 hrs to go around and cover it fully.
Availability of food just outside the gate.
There are shops where you can have food, juice, coldrinks and ice cream as well.

We are from Thane/Mumbai and this was my first visit to Hyderabad and to the Golconda fort. We had a really thrilling and wonderful experience at the site. Firstly, the day luckily was amply breezy, so architecturally beautiful and the scenic beauty was evident as we climbed to the top, nearly 700 plus steps.
The site has been kept clean and the caves and rooms provide a cool shade for the brief pauses as one climbs to the top.
It really is a photographer's delight!!

Nice place to visit if you are in Hyderabad. The evening light and sound show is under repair hence we couldn't watch it. This happens in evening 6:30. Make sure you check it's website before planning for this show.
Fort is big and has good history. Make sure you either read book or better take a tourist guide along. There are places where even if you whisper the sound travels more than a kilometre. Very thoughtful how in history people actually used knowledge of science which we just read and never use. Simple concepts but executed in perfection.
You do not have washrooms here. So take care.

Embark on a grand exploration of Golconda Fort, one of the largest forts I've encountered. The sheer magnitude of this historical marvel demands around 3 hours for a thorough exploration. While guides await at the gate to unfold Golconda's rich history (for a fee), the real magic lies in witnessing the breathtaking architecture and stone walls, far more mesmerizing than the pages of history books.
The fort's meticulous upkeep, coupled with convenient refreshment shops inside, ensures an enjoyable visit. The panoramic bird's-eye view from the top is nothing short of spectacular, offering a deep dive into history and culture. A small temple adds a touch of serenity to the experience. Make it a must-watch if you find yourself in Hyderabad, and don't miss the mesmerizing light show after dark.
Immerse yourself in the charm of old-world architecture at Golconda, a sprawling site that warrants ample time for exploration. Capture picturesque moments at various vantage points, especially during the enchanting sunset from the fort's summit. The cityscape unfolds beneath, providing a stunning backdrop for photography enthusiasts.
While the ascent may require some walking, the effort pays off with breathtaking views and numerous photo-worthy spots. Discover a small temple and strategically placed shops offering water, juices, and snacks, sparing you the need to carry provisions. This photogenic haven, however, comes with a plea: cherish the beauty, dispose of waste responsibly in the provided bins throughout the campus.
Historical enthusiasts will find Golconda Fort a monumental gem, a colossal palace offering a panoramic view of Hyderabad. For those seeking more insights, guides are readily available, and the modest entry fee of Rs. 25 for adults makes it an accessible and enriching historical excursion. Overall, a captivating blend of history, culture, and scenic splendor awaits at this iconic fortress. ✨🏰👌

The Fort and area are very well maintained but ruined by the so-called tourists by throw plastics everywhere.
The Fort area is very big and requires hiking to reach the top, be enough hydrated and carry a water bottle along with you. The best time to visit is either morning or post 4 to avoid the sunburns.

Chowmahalla Palace is an 18th- and 19th-century compound that served as the main residence of several nizams. The palace features grand buildings, lush garden courtyards, and the magnificent Khilwat Mubarak durbar hall adorned with Belgian crystal chandeliers. Visitors can explore historical exhibits, arts and crafts, and the personal possessions of the nizams in side rooms. Mesmerizing architecture, well maintained and allowed all over the palace, no restrictions at most of the places, every frame is photogenic, every wall pulls you towards it, the lawn is green, clean with fountain in between the lawn, 1 day is more than sufficient, Timings : 10AM-5PM, tickets are issued at the entrance, a small canteen is inside too, and washrooms.
Totally, loved the place and not even a single boring spot over there..!

Rich, Elegant, Detailed, Royal, Stunning. It is a great place to spend time in the city. The entry fee is Rs.100 per person, but it is worth the spend. There is a museum shop where you could buy silk clothes, books etc. You could also take Royal pictures of yourself (Costumes provided) at the palace for Rs.100. There is ample parking space, place to sit and relax. The design of the palace was so detailed and intricate. The Royal belongings were well preserved and a treat to the eyes as the observer could see the entire life and imagine it.

Best place in Hyderabad for clicking nice pics. The whole palace looks so royal and elegant. There are many antique pieces such as royal clothing, the vehicles used at that time and many more.
The entry ticket is 100rs per person which I think is worth spending. But they say that for phone photography you have to pay 50 rs which is not at all required. So don't fall for it...
It is a must visit place when you are nearby charminar as it is just 10 mins walk from there.

A massive eighteenth century palace of Nizams of Hyderabad spread in 12 acres was well maintained & conserved. Large courtyards & ceremonial halls were impressive. Belgian chandeliers & beautiful marbles were amazing. We took picture in Royal dress, it was wonderful. A good collection of vintage cars was outstanding. Cleanliness of the palace was noteworthy.

Absolutely beautiful place. One of the most good looking palaces I've been to and so well maintained inside. The staff from the lady handling the washroom to the security guards around, everyone is so courteous and warm. The area has lots of palaces and places to see around. The car collection is also a must see because its absolutely fascinating how there are cars more than 100 years old. Must visit in hydrebad!!

This one's a must visit for History enthusiasts.
The museum is entirely well marked with information and display.
It would easily take 3-4 hours for someone to go through it all in detail.
Well maintained palace, pathways.
Clean and functioning toilets from the look of it.
A canteen with snacks and beverages.
Enough parking inside the compound.

A well maintained place with a parking lot. This place is peaceful and you can sit on the stairs for a while to experience solitude. ✨
You can roam around the place and enjoy every bit of it.
They also have a vintage car exhibition part 🏎️

Time: 1.5 hrs. Visited in evening (better in evening as a good place to sit in the open grounds)
Entry ticket: ₹100 per person. UPI doesn't work, but cards and cash allowed. No charge for mobile photography.
Parking: Available for bike (₹10 charges, you can UPI the parking charges to the guy). Limited space for car parking, there was a long line outside as the card parking was full.
Washroom: Available at the entrance and maybe 1-2 more. Clean.
Drinking water: Available at the entrance (not sure if it is filtered). I encourage to please carry non-plastic water bottles.
Review:
• May visit once. Can avoid if limited time
• Clean place, open parks to sit. Good place to chill/rest but nothing much to see here (Please keep in mind I have been to a lot of museums hence my review)
• Swords/historical war equipment on display, good for children
• Photogenic place, can have good photos for Instagram ;)
• Vintage car display - a quick 5 min tour
• Chandeliers are a beauty though, loved the touch
• Still under-construction, 2-3 properties are still closed
• At the entrance they have a place where you can try the shahi outfits for some charge

This palace belonged to the Nizams and was opened to the public as a museum in the early 2000s. It is surrounded by narrow crowded roads and encroached by modern houses all around. The place has the main palace, a garden and courtyard kind of thing in the front, a clock tower and smaller mahals around it. The main palace has the darbar with beautiful chandeliers, rooms with the description of the history of Hyderabad and the Nizam Lineage. Also, there are rooms with old currency, seals, crockery, royal arms, army attires, etc. There is a beautiful garden at the back also with a small fountain/pond. Some of the mahals were closed or under renovation. Was disappointed as I couldn't see the Vintage cars. Overall, it is a good place to spend a couple of hours. Entry is 100rs per person, and you also have to pay 50rs if you want to click photos on the phone(but no one checks this). Beware of the parking lot supervisor. They try to extract more parking fees than the actual.

Charminar, a 16th-century mosque in Hyderabad, India, is an iconic architectural and cultural symbol of the city. Built by Mohammed Quli Qutb Shah to commemorate the end of epidemics caused by water shortage, this UNESCO World Heritage site stands tall amidst the vibrant Laad Bazaar. The massive structure features four grand arches facing cardinal points and 48-meter-tall minarets atop each column.
The name u remember when u think of Hyderabad. It stands tall in the centre of the city with local market and business bustling all around.
We can go on top with a nominal entrance fee of rs 25 and enjoy the view. Really worth it.
One can do some local shopping, bargain items for good price. Have fun time.

Amazing historical monument . Ver well preserved . Do ensure you climb to the top tip if you are scared of narrow pathways a and stairs stay away it’s a very steep and high rise stair set . Elderly with knee or leg pain stay away as you cannot return as it a one way stair once started will have to go to the top . Once on top will have to return as well . The view from the top is magnificent. And is worth all the efforts . The surrounding is packed with shops and sellers . There is a tea shop do get tea from there and the famous Hyderabad biscuits . There is a mix biscuits box which has all the flavors . They do t allow bags so either don’t take bags or sacs else keep it as the deposit station for 20 rs an hour . It’s a no vehicle done do have to park a bit far and then walk .

Charminar is a true icon of Hyderabad and a must-visit for anyone exploring the city's rich history. This historic monument, with its distinctive architecture and cultural significance, is a sight to behold. However, my recent visit to Charminar left me with mixed feelings.
The monument itself is undeniably beautiful, and the surrounding area has a unique charm. The intricate details and the grandeur of Charminar are worth admiring. It's a great place for history enthusiasts and photography lovers. The view from the top is also quite impressive, offering a panoramic glimpse of the city.
However, my experience was marred by the overwhelming crowd of street vendors that has taken over the area. While these vendors add a vibrant touch to the ambiance, they also make the place extremely hectic. Navigating through the bustling streets to get a clear view of Charminar can be a bit of a challenge. If you're looking for a serene and peaceful atmosphere, this might not be the best place to visit.
To truly enjoy Charminar, I would recommend taking a taxi or ride-sharing service to get as close to the monument as possible. This will save you from the chaos of parking and the hassle of weaving through the street market. Be prepared for some persistent vendors trying to sell you various trinkets and street food, which can be distracting.
In summary, Charminar is a significant historical site that is definitely worth a visit, but the experience can be somewhat marred by the chaotic atmosphere created by street vendors. To make the most of your visit, consider taking a taxi to get closer to the monument and enjoy its architectural beauty without the added hustle and bustle.

The monument stands tall among the hustle and bustle of the place.
However the place is very hard to access, the entire area is overcrowded with people and hawkers. It is a sad sight to see that government has done nothing to keep the area clear around a historical monument.
Probably the best time to visit is early morning or midnight when there is no crowd. Heard that Sunday nights are also less crowded.
Go to the area if you enjoy the crowds (Note: no parking here)

This is one of the significant historical identities of Hyderabad. What a place! This is a must-visit for anyone in the city, and the colors and atmosphere in the evening are superb. I’m reliably informed that weekends are particularly busy, and given the number of people on the mid-week day I visited, I’d encourage you to avoid them too, but it’s well worth battling the crowds to get into the center of the action. There are so many market sellers, although none are too pushy, live performances, and a generally friendly vibe. The history is great; there are so many good photo opportunities and a real insight into the local culture. Highly recommended.

I wish there was a bit more cleanliness here considering he fact that it is the icon of Hyderabad.
Be prepared to face heavy traffic as you approach the minar due to narrow roads. I would recommend coming in an auto or two-wheeler to get the best experience. Also, be aware of pickpockets and thieves.

However, the monument itself seems to be under construction or renovation, which was a bit disappointing.
The entrance fee of 25 per person is reasonable, but considering the thousands of daily visitors, I expected the place to be better maintained. The crowds were overwhelming, making it challenging to fully appreciate the historical significance of the site.
It appears that improvements are underway, but as of my visit, the overall ambiance fell short of expectations. Hoping that ongoing renovations will enhance the experience for future visitors.

Things you must see.

The place is great for history and art enthusiasts. It was full packed down on Saturday when I visited. People come with full families.
There are so many attractions in the museum. We waited for the musical clock but it was not that worth it.
But, the elephant tusk section is really good, though. Metal section is also really good. It's way way better than the museum at Chowmahalla Palace.
The cafeteria is okay, you will get everything but would have to pay good money. Not enough space, it was total chaos at the cafeteria. Although, there is a restaurant, it was outside the main museum building.
Visit on a weekday if you want to explore peacefully but I have heard, its mostly crowded everyday.

A museum that is really nicely kept up. Rs 50 for adults and Rs 20 for youngsters gets you a ticket. It's reasonable that they charge 50 rupees for each mobile. The museum houses unique collections of art and collectibles from around the world 🌎. The museum is set out neatly, with each level has a different set of rooms.

Good place to visit, especially for kids because they can learn more about Ancient India. The entry tickets are also pocket friendly. Well maintained. It is Closed on every Friday, It is suggested to visit the museum during the morning hours because it takes time to take a tour of the whole museum.

This is probably the best museum I have visited in India. We visited during Christmas break and the place was full. There was a long line for tickets which took about 20 minutes. It is possible to buy tickets online which I recommend if you go during public holidays.
The museum is pretty big and the collections are fantastic. I found the Asian collection and also the literature collection to be very impressive. There are other rare collections like a carpet collection which might interest some people.
If you like art, don't miss this museum.

One of the Best Museum in India. If you really want to see all the sections of the museum than go in the morning, because it will take lots of time to see everything properly, even 4 hours is not sufficient. You will get many resting area inside and a Food court too. Entry fee for Indian is ₹50. For foreigners it's ₹500. Don't forget to buy extra ticket for your Mobile phone to click picture inside @₹50 per phone. Museum is closed on Friday.

Great museum with such a wide collection of exhibits and paintings. Even the architecture is beautiful and the entry fee is also very affordable with it being 50rs. The one drawback is for each phone or camera you have to pay extra to take inside. The canteen is good too. Overall a good space with such a unique collection and well maintained

Amazed to see the collections of just one man that spread across 2 floors. Well maintained alleys rooms and lights add to the ambiance. For more details, the authority offers an app for an audio enabled guided tour. I haven't tried the same, but someone availed that the facility can comment on how helpful it is. Do not forget to sit on the chairs in front of the famous manual musical clock to capture the hourly chimes. Ivory room, clock room, and the double faced sculpture Mephistopheles & Margaretta are must watch.

Providing a captivating journey through the dynastic past. The museum offers a rich tapestry of artifacts, each telling a unique story of the eras. Exploring its exhibits becomes a fascinating exploration of the history of Hyderabad and its rulers. The meticulously curated collection allows visitors to connect with the cultural legacy, unraveling the nuances of the city's history. It's not just a museum; it's an immersive experience that becomes even more enriching when shared with children. Spending time here with kids offers a valuable opportunity to impart a tangible understanding of Hyderabad's history, creating lasting memories and fostering a sense of appreciation for the cultural heritage. Only drawback, needed more maintenance else everything is good here.

A very well maintained museum. The ticket prices are very less just Rs 50 for adults and Rs 20 for children. They are charging 50 rs per mobile which I feel is fine.
The museum is well organized with different rooms on a separate level.
The main attraction is the veiled Rebecca and Cuckoo clock. They have provided a floor map on each ticket which is kind of helpful. They have a food court which has a lot of food items and it is required since one can spend the whole day in this museum.
For kids there is a lot of learning going through each room and I can see the excitement in the kids faces. The museum houses unique collections of art and collectibles from around the world.

I can say that this is must visit place if you are in Hyderabad.
Ticket Price: 50 rupees
Camera use charge: 50 rupees
You can easily spend almost half of your day here. There are many things to see here. You will find versatility here. From one to another room just visit and experience different things from history.
Things you must see.
1. Musical Watch (see video posted)
2. Double face statue
3. Armour used by kings
4. Handicrafts made with elephant teeth (although it was a cruel process separating teeth but it just happened in history so you can enjoy art on them)
5. Western and eastern blocks to see the culture of European and Asian countries
There is a food court inside and good number of washrooms and water facilities are available.
You should purchase a camera ticket.

Located near MG Road metro, this place is a gem of Hyderabad. Entry fee is 50 rs, but will recommend to spend another 50 bucks for camera ticket as mobile phones are not allowed inside. The museum boosts of one of the greatest collections of the world. The place demands minimum 3-4 hours if you want to at least just visit every part of the museum. The museum has collection from different parts of the world. Veiled Rebbeca and singing clock are the two most sought after attractions of the museum. Overall verdict - definitely recommended.

Good place to visit. All the artifact's are stored nicely. Musical clock is the major attraction. Lift facility should be provided for senior citizens and disabled people. Food court to be improved. More seating to be added and counters should also be added at least on holidays. Over all good place to visit.

Ive been visiting this place on and off since I was a kid. Always mesmerized by the collection held here. Although, this particular time it was a bit disappointing to see the state of the building. Perhaps some care can be shown to modernize the display cases specially on the ground floor to really show how impressive this collection is. The pieces are beyond impressive but presentation let's them down a little bit.

Such a huge and vast museum. So many things to see many historical things are kept here. Parking charges for bikes are 20 rupees and entry tickets for Indian adults - 50, child - 20 and for mobile and camera they charge 50 also. I think that's ok. The mobile ticket will get access to use the audio guide for the museum and I think that's a good integration and it makes the ticket worth it and justify the pricing. In this huge museum you have to pay for everything even for the washroom. Online tickets are a little complicated. Otherwise everything goes smoothly.

The museum has such a beautiful collection, which unfortunately contrasts with the state of the building it is hosted in. The place is not kept clean and is rundown. On a normal day, the museum is very overcrowded, to the point it is difficult to enjoy the beautiful displays. There is a cafeteria that feels unhygienic and lacks things like a Coke Zero. As for tickets, there is no online booking, quite some queues to get tickets on arrival, and you need to buy separate “phone tickets” if you wish to take pictures. The main attraction is an old English clock. Beautiful museum, but didn’t really enjoy the day there.

Beautiful well maintained historic artifacts. I loved the brass room, glass room. Dresses worn in those times. A beautiful very old clock chime was the pinnacle of my visit...about 100 sat in utter silence for the hourly chime and then a thunderous applause of the audience.

Overall, the Salar Jung Museum is a must-visit for anyone visiting Hyderabad. It's a captivating journey through time and culture, offering something for everyone. Whether you're an art enthusiast or simply curious about the world, this museum will leave you with a lasting impression.
Ramoji Film City is a must-visit destination, known as the world's largest film studio. It offers tours, live shows, and an on-site theme park and adventure zone. The iconic tourist attraction provides a behind-the-scenes look at Tollywood and Bollywood movies. With permanent sets like temples and courts, an amusement park, restaurants, and souvenir shops spread over 2000 acres, it guarantees a full day of entertainment for visitors of all ages.
Awesome experience! A half day fun trip. The place is easy to locate on the ORR. The studio tour is main attraction having Baahubali set and all. The other shows were also fun and entertaining. Has many eateries and lots of seating. The buses also take you around from place to place, so medium amount of walking. The crowd management is excellent and it's overall a fun trip.

Worth a visit if you are on a trip to Hyderabad - it is around 1 1/2 hours drive from City Centre. Gives an idea as to how films are made and sets are constructed. Need to either reach by around 9 am or stay there in one of the hotels inside the previous evening as you need a full day to see everything. Even a full day is a bit rushed. Best to pick up tickets ('Studio Tour' is good enough) online, go to the centre point (Eureka), attend the opening ceremony at 9.45 am, proceed to Studio Tour/Eco Tour (must do), have lunch, then go for the shows. Don't miss the Wild West Stunt Show! Lights, Camera, Action is interesting too. Rest of the shows are average, especially for someone who has been to other studios/sets elsewhere. Food within RFC is average or even below average. RFC can make the experience better by putting up their detailed e-brochure, program and map on their website. Their email IDs and contact numbers on the website are unresponsive and this is an issue they should address. They should also plant more trees! Overall, it is a nice experience while on a Hyderabad trip but considering the resources, the management can do so much more to make it a 'must see before I die' experience.

Very nice and well maintained. The support staff is very helpful. Over all good experience. Food is little big costly. The free activities when we reached most on it has not started. Was not worth going there. Garden and bonsai collection is very good. Opening and closing ceremony is very good.

Beautiful, gigantic but extremely overpriced and overhyped.
Pros:
A real city, you can get lost
Very beautiful and great for movie and nature lovers
Lots of greens and nice movie sets which can make you wonder
Cons:
Extremely overpriced
Kids can hardly enjoy
Toddlers will have to pay for the ticket although there is nothing for them
Some of the rides that kids and toddlers can enjoy will cost you extra, not included in the ticket
Bus tour route is circular, meaning A - > B - > C - > D - > A, so you can't visit, say point A from from point C.
You will get bored after a point as seeing only movie sets for the whole day is actually not that interesting as it sounds
P.S.:
Those who have seen Universal Studios and think this one also as the same, please note, that both are very different.

Despite being THE biggest and the largest film city in the world, it is maintained very well. The tour buses inside the film city are not only well maintained, neat and clean but also have very well trained, jovial and friendly guides.

Full day of excitement and fun. Best place to enjoy with family and kids. Baahubali set was the main attraction. Best time to visit this place is during winter as you need to walk a lot and hence in summer it will be very tiring. Lot of restaurants and snacking bar available at almost all locations.
Movie magic is another attraction where you enjoy movie making experience. Overall a great time well spent

Food and water available inside. Very clean washrooms .kids have their own playing area with some rides and a great entertainment show with jinn , wonderful staff will show beautiful play to your child and will make them laugh. Last, you can enjoy many rides in their amusement area and enjoy snacks over there.

Fantastic experience. Car parking is near to ticket counter. Smooth entry and no waiting for bus. It takes about 15 minutes to actual Film City from ticket counter. Thereafter everything is arranged and organised so well that it becomes a day to remember. The volunteers are polite and helpful guiding the tourists all day long. Besides many film sets, there are plenty of parks and they are maintained impeccably. The cleanliness all around is outstanding and kudos to all who maintain it. The shows are all good and try not to miss them. Small food kiosks are available at every site and reasonably priced. Washrooms are very very clean. Moreover, drinking water is available at every place and one need not carry water bottles. The free rides offered in park are awesome. Moving around in customized red buses is special. Overall, an enjoyable day. Thanks to management.

I'd need to write a lengthy essay to fully describe everything. All I can say is that it's fantastic, incredible, and totally worth the 1593 rupees. You'll visit each spot one by one, starting with the opening ceremony, studio tour, European cities, Japanese garden, eco-tour, butterfly garden, and much more. Check out my photos for a better idea.

Top class! I was surprised that we have places like this in India.
Very well organized right from the time you enter the parking. All the shows were superb.
If you don't want to miss anything, reach there early - it takes one full day.
Towards the end there is butterfly park and collection of beautiful birds - they even have Ostriches.
Cafeterias are clean and food is okay.
When you reach, don't forget to take the bus tour first, that way you will know how much you are actually going to see and you can plan your time spent at each attraction properly.
A must visit place. The ticket rates are extremely reasonable. In fact, towards the end, I heard so many people say the tickets are priced so low considering what they have on offer.
Totally worth it!!!

A full on entertainment. Must place to visit for all age groups. The longer you stay the better it is. Tough to cover in one day. There are movie sets, parks, gardens, actions, dance sequences, horror house, food joints and full of adventure. Area wise it’s very big but there are buses from the pick up point which takes you inside.

It’s a beautiful experience. One should walk a lot. There will be many buses to hop on and hop off from one destination to another. It’s really a must watch city where almost every film sets have been set up and different parks have also been set up. It’s a very different experience people can experience. There are few hotels also where booking can be done for stay and see Ramoji film city. There are huge options to explore food items as well
Preethi Ashok — Google review
It is a very good place for people who have seen the movies and love to explore the sets. Overall it is not worth the ticket price. All the items here are overpriced. The items in the adventure park are also way too costly. And the complementary ones are of no use. The food is good. The bus system is also a bit wierd. The buses only leave when there is a significant amount of crowd in the bus. But otherwise it was a good experience.

Must visit while in Hyderabad.
Located around 60 kms from main Hyderabad city.
Spread over 1600 acres.
They have buses from the parking area to the film city and back.
Multiple buses are in service.
Full day tickets, morning or evening session tickets are available.
Very well organized and staff are always helpful and advice where to go after every show.
The usual waiting time is 15 to 20 minutes for the shows.
Multiple food stalls are available everywhere in the film city.
Food is costlier compared to hotels but still cheaper than malls.
Buses are available from point to point and are always available.
Need at least a full day to cover all the places.
The important thing is people will start getting tired by 4 pm since we need to walk a bit within the studios even though buses are there.

If you are going to Hyderabad and not visiting "Ramoji Film City" then you should think 2Wice.
So being an Indian we all have lots of influence of Indian Cinema Directly or indirectly on our life's through music, comedy, films, stories or any other way. So Ramjoji gives us the insight what goings on the other sides of the screen and how they shows us larger then life characters, scenes, actions.
Its worth the price for sure. You need a whole day to explore and you should start early with the opening ceremony and you should stay till closing ceremony. Staff puts lots of efforts for sure to make sure we are having fun in a cinematic style.
Few things which they lack or its not worth is the food they sell inside. Had very bad experience with this. Being so pricy they don't deliver the kind so service you expect and even the food quality is not that great. Specially buffets are not watched for the hygiene or the cleanliness. So my 4 star are for the food outlets they have inside.
Other than food it was an wonderful experience for sure.
Thank You. 🙏🏽

It's a must visit for everyone to see the world's largest film studio. Management is doing a good job, they keep providing the helpful information to see and help all the way from beginning to end. Drinking water and toilet facilities available at every place whereever you are going to need. It's once in a lifetime experience. There are lots of things to see and experience in one day , difficult to see cover everything in one day, still you can manage to see all if you will hurry. Birla Mandir is a stunning Hindu temple located in Hyderabad, India. Situated on a 13-acre land atop a 280-foot hill called Naubat Pahad, it is a popular religious site for Hindus and travelers alike. Inaugurated by Swami Ranganathananda of the Ramakrishna Mission, this modern marble temple boasts intricate carvings and shrines. My most favourite place in the whole city. Extremely peaceful and breathtaking. The highlight of the visit was the requirement to submit mobile phones and electronic valuables before entering the temple premises. This unique practice allowed me to fully immerse myself in the spiritual experience without any distractions. The management's efficiency in handling this process was commendable, contributing to a truly tranquil environment.

Hussain Sagar Lake, located in Hyderabad and Secunderabad, is a popular tourist destination. This man-made lake was constructed in 1562 to meet the water and irrigation needs of the city. It is surrounded by Lumbini Park, Indira Park, and Sanjeeviah Park. The centerpiece of the lake is a large Buddha statue situated on a rock.
I would recommend visiting this place when sun is low, because the lighting at the statue of budhha is mesmerizing... And when sun totally sets down then the street lightining view is wonderful . You can do boating or can take boat to go near the statue which is in the centre of the lake..

The entire lake is surrounded by fun activities and refreshments. It a boiling pot of Indian culture, with people of diverse origins sharing a place. The tourist destinations include a bunch of very well maintained parks and gardens, religious sites and amusement parks. Keeping in mind the necessity of maintaining a well-rounded decorum for the young people, there is the sanjeevaiah children's park only allowing children inside. The flowers all around the lake are impressively maintained by the authority. The ghats are mostly dirty though, but anyways you can have a good time taking walks and enjoying the sunset.

This statue is said to be one of the world's largest statues. Hussain Sagar offers a spectacular view of Lake, a view of the city, which draws many visitors to the area. It's most impressive at night when the statue's lights are turned on.
Tankbund road on hussain sagar lake is good for morning walkers, senior citizens to spend time in the morning hours. In the evening families visit the tank bund with their kids and spend time in the lawns of the tank bund , have snacks and enjoy the view of Hussain Sagar lake.
Tank Bund has been a major tourist destination as well as a popular local attraction after recent beautification by the Government. This is a popular spot for people who want to unwind.

TankBund is a place where you can enjoy the view if only you visit early in the morning. With years there has been a decent improvement in cleanliness to seating arrangement. The water is serene but not completely clean. Hyderabad needs a lot of improvement in regard to cleanliness and throwing of waste. People throw here and there even after seeing the trash buckets. There should be a law passed for this specifically - maybe there can be a change in regard to cleanliness. Otherwise you can enjoy the fresh air and have a calm family time.

Hussain Sagar was built across a tributary of the Musi river in 1563 by Ibrahim Quli Qutb Shah. The lake was named after Hussain Shah Wali, who was the Master of Architecture in the Kingdom. It is an artificial lake that holds water perennially fed by canals from Musi river. Hussain Sagar was the main source of water supply to Hyderabad before Himayat Sagar and Osman Sagar were built on river Musi.
The Buddha statue was chiseled out of a white granite rock, weighing 450 tons. It was carved by 200 sculptors for two years. The statue was transported to Hyderabad in November 1988. After initial problems, the statue was erected on 12 April 1992 on a red lotus pedestal.

A beautiful place to visit at night and boating is a must do stuff. The view is so nice. But don't expect that you can sit nearby the lake and enjoy it while putting your legs in it. Boundaries are all over the lake and also the water is kinda black, not clean enough but it doesn't stink at all. A must visit place

Peaceful Place ☮️🌸 Have you ever watched the sunset behind the Buddha Statue? Nope? Oh god, you're missing out. Find yourself during the sunset hour at Tank Bund and take long walks as you watch the sun wash the sky in orange. Not a walking person? No problem, just stand and stare!

The Bhadrakali Temple, a renowned lakeside Hindu temple located in Warangal, boasts of ancient origins and features imposing stone statues dedicated to the deity. The serene surroundings of the temple offer ample seating space for visitors to relax with their family and friends. The premises are situated on the bank of a lake built especially for the temple. Although there have been changes made over time, the idol still retains its charm and is considered one of the oldest temples in Warangal.

Such a beautiful temple it is. My most favourite temple of all time. The environment in the temple premises is so good. While we see the Bhadrakali Goddess, we forget about our tensions, works, etc. The Goddess is so adorable that we keep on looking at her. We get the peace actually. The surroundings and atmosphere make our mind calm so that we can't get out of the temple. I suggest weekdays (except Friday& Sunday) are the best time to visit so that you can enjoy the water and nature that's exactly to the Temple. Make sure to plan properly, avoid the rush, Have a peaceful darshan, and enjoy the environment.

Travel: It's really embarking to visit this place. It stands out in its nature and scenery. The travelling journey shouldn't take much time from the main city. There was parking space available for the arena and the foot journey to reach the main temple isn't much of an issue.
Destination: As soon as you entire the main premises, you will be astounded by the huge rocks beside which the two shrines of the goddess reside, lightning up the entire structure with its enchantment. Whilst you enter the main temple area, you will be bestowed with the view of lake around the temple which was enlightening. The serenity of it was embazzling to grasp that you cannot have enough of it. Inside the temple, there's calm and peace, along with a section dedicated for traditional sarees. And you end your journey with view of another huge rock that is illuminated with lights and few shrines of the goddess.
Amenities: The washroom was a risky journey with it being in a different place and the pathway was not visible. The condition of the washrooms was pathetic and haven't been cleaned. Other facilities was not scrutinized by me.
Summary: The serenity of the place and aura of this temple should be known by encountering it in person, by visiting this place.

I heard that this is one of the most powerful and places in the warangal district. Must visit the place to worship Bhadrakali Devi. The nature and aura of the temple is peaceful. The Sree Bhadra Kali Devasthanam temple is a famous Hindu temple located in Kerala, India. It is dedicated to Goddess Bhadrakali, a form of the goddess Kali, who is known for her fierce yet protective nature. The temple's history dates back many centuries and it holds cultural and religious significance in the region.
The temple is believed to be built in 625 A.D by the King Pulakeshin II of Chalukya dynasty to commemorate his victory over Vengi region of Andhra Desham, as per the writings on the temple wall. Kakatiya kings later have adopted the temple and considered Goddess Bhadrakali as their kuladevata. Bhadrakali temple is situated atop a hill between the cities of Hanamkonda and Warangal in Andhra Pradesh. The presiding deity of the temple is goddess Kali in her fierce form – large eyes, grim countenance, and eight arms wielding different weapons. The image is made of stone and it sits on her vehicle, the lion. Goddess Bhadrakali is considered to be a symbol of fortitude and fierceness. Bhadrakali is a terrifying manifestation of Goddess Kali that defends the noble from evil, brings good fortune and success in the lives of the worshippers. Bhadrakali Bhadrakali appeared from the third eye of Shiva to kill demon Darika. Bhadrakali is one of the most powerful forms of Goddess Parvati or Devi. Goddess Parvati is the consort of Lord Shiva and Bhadrakali is one of the nine forms of Devi.
Bhadrakali is a form of Shakti. This is considered to be one of the 51 Shakti 'pithas' of India.

Nice holy place. Temple of Sri Bhadrakali.
Inside the temple photography is strictly prohibited.
Pandit will be there, you can have your puja, we visited this temple in weekday, so not much crowded. Weekend may be little crowded. You need to maintain queue to enter the temple. In case of heavy crowd, there will be separate queue where you can pay money and have your darshan early.
Lake view behind the temple is mesmerizing.
Separate shoe shop is there where you can keep your shoes before entering the temple.

A religious place.
The temple is located beside a lake (Bhadrakali Lake). New temple structures have been built on top of the older stone temple. This older stone structure can only be glimpsed at, from the outside, but experienced in full once completely inside the temple.
No photos are allowed to be taken inside the main temple, but are allowed outside. There is also a park attached to the temple. There are also a couple other small temples other than the main Bhadrakali temple.
BEWARE:
1. There are monkeys.
2. Although there is no ticket required for Darshan, there are 50/- and 100/- tickets to skip the queue. This is especially useful when one needs to avoid the crowd and wants to directly go inside. This is useful on Friday as there is more crowd on that day.

Reached this temple at about 7: 45 Am. Had darshan directly without any queue as the temple had no visitors at time i reached the temple. Mobile phones are allowed inside temple but photography of goddess is not allowed . Temple is small and architecture wise nothing to speak about. There is a free footwear stand near the temple .There is a lake near this temple. Many monkeys are there so be careful of your belongings.

The Thousand Pillar Temple, a Hindu temple constructed during the Kakatiya dynasty in the 12th century, boasts intricate carvings and shrines of deities. The temple's magnificent architecture is accentuated by a central dome adorned with carvings of gods and goddesses, as well as an intriguing inscription on one of its pillars. Despite potential parking issues, the temple's maintenance is admirable and its evening illumination adds to its charm.
We visited this famous temple on a weekday, it is about 20mins away from the Warangal railway station. Like me, don't be surprised if you cannot see the 1000 pillars at once, if you look closely, the 1000 pillars are engraved intricately close to one another and form the walls of the temple. The beautiful carvings are on the walls and ceilings are mesmerizing, the temple is dedicated to lord Shiva. The vibe here is so serene, we spent about 40mins here. There is no entry fee. The well maintained park surrounding the temple premises is good for relaxing. A must visit place for architecture and history enthusiasts.

Travel: It was easy to locate and reach the destination. But there might be a problem of parking space.
Destination: As it was evening time, the crowd was not hefty and the entire place was commendable for it's maintenance and illuminating. The main temple certainly consisted of carvings of gods and goddesses, with the centre dome. Also something noticeable was that one of the pillars on the dome had some writing. The complete nuance of this heritage is wonderful to explore.
Amenities: I haven't figured this one and not sure if they have washrooms and other facilities.
Summary: It is a good place to know our heritage and to explore it's ferocity.

RUDRESWARALAYAM / THOUSAND PILLAR TEMPLE-
Rudreswara Temple locally known as Veyisthambhalagudi (Thousand Pillars Temple] is one of the fine and earliest available examples of Kakatiya art, architecture and sculpture. It was built by Rudra Deva and named after him as "Sri Rudreswara Swamy temple with the presiding deity as Rudieswarg In 1163 CE in the style of later Chalukyan and early Kakatiyan Architecture. The Plan of the temple is star shaped and triple shrine (Trikulalaya houses three deities Rudresward Vasudeva and Suryadeva in Western, Northern and Eastern shrines respectively around a central hall RangaMandaps) The lemple measures over 31 x 25m and stards on a platform raised to a height of 1 m from the ground. There is a KalyandMandapa located to the South of the temple famously known as Thousand Pillared Mandapa, which has about 300 pillars. The unique lype of foundations known as send box technique was integrated to raise the temple complex which subsequently turned to be the major cause for their damage and abandonment. Ine skill of Kakaliya Sculptors is manifest in adroit crafts man ship and flawless ivory carving technique in their ast. The ingenuity of Kakaliya sculptors is visible in likes of lathe turned, and shiny polish in colerite and granite stone sculpture and craft works of RangeMandage. The roof of the temple is devoid of any superstructure at present.
There is a Nandi placed in the open space placed between the main temple and the pillared mandapa. The garlond of bells
round the neck and with other ornaments embellished on the Nandi portrays Kakatiye touch. The elegant carvings at the richly decercted pillars under a spacious ceiling spanning the embellished side slabs identical to wood carvings is an achievement of unparalleled excellence of ine Kakatiya Architect. Other units here include a rectangular stepped Pushkorini, a thorana entrance in the East.

it is a Lord Shiva temple also known by Rudreshwara Swamy temple, I feel that something is missing in temple( I was visited so many years back)
It is a calm and quiet place to be visited in the early morning and late evening to experience this historic temple.
A pond is situated towards the left of the entrance , my last visit is not good, but now is good condition, government must take care and save heritage sites, this are represent our culture

I enjoyed visiting this place as it takes me back to my childhood days. Needless to mention about what an architecture marvel it is. At least I cannot describe in my own words. The temple is currently under renovation and there is work going on. It was little difficult to understand what they are trying to do, but hope whatever they do it will be best.
Temple is in city and just few minutes away from Badrakali Temple. So if you plan to visit cover that as well. We could not due to time constraint.
There is small well kind of place, it's called Kolanu where devotees probably used to take bath in olden days. Now it's a residence for loads of tortoises. It was nice to see, it did not become shabby with plastic and dirty, except water turned totally green with moss.
All said and done, I enjoyed visiting the place in past and present and will any day love it in future too. 😀

With proper government upkeep, it has the potential to become a major tourist attraction.
I would be the last to review this place. This is a historic place and UNESCO recently recognized it too. The architecture is amazing and cannot be described in words. If government can maintain it a little bit more nicely then this would be a huge tourist attraction.

The more than 800 year old Ramappa Temple also known as Rudreshwara Temple is a Kakatiya style Hindu Shiva Temple which has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is located at Palampet village in Mulugu district of Telangana, India. Archeology Department of India is at present opening up the remnants of other temples in the vicinity of the existing three temples. The foundation is made up of sandbox technology. Carved into each and every pillar, dome and wall are details so miniscule and sharp they even surprise the most advanced sculptors. What is even more fascinating is that these details were carved onto black basalt and red sandstone, materials know for being delicate and the Gopuram and Kupola are made with light bricks. It is a cool and calm place without much rush. The temple is timed between 6 A.M. and 6P.M. this place is abundant in terms of nature. It is a must visit place.

I gave rating of 5 as its more tick in a box. I can never rate such a beautiful place, it's indeed one of the finest marvel declared as UNESCO World Heritage Site. Absolutely a delight to spend time at this place. Every step you take once you enter the temple premises leaves you mesmerized.
I was just thinking how did one carve such a marvel. Truly amazing. Lord Shiva Linga's are huge, and when I say huge indeed. They are like 6 to 7 feet hight. Ceiling, Walls, Floor, every bit of it is worth spending some quality time.
Road to this place is good and you will not have any difficulty reaching the place. It will be good if you can pack some food and enjoy as a picnic too. But be very careful not inside or nearer to temple as you will find enough monkeys waiting to attack. And if you ask me, why would they attack, my answer is as they are monkeys, they will... 😆😀

A UNESCO heritage site. Maintained very well with good lawns on the walkway to temple and with necessary amenities of water etc. Architecture is good . Guides are available at the location. Photography is allowed inside but restricted to not take the photo of Lord Shiva . This temple withstood earthquakes and the bottom huge beams can be seen that they are inclined and protruded from the ground due to the earthquake.

Peace and calm.. that is how you define this place!! You go in the hot sun to the temple place.. but once you enter the temple it's the cool atmosphere that gives you peace.. that's the magic this temple holds. Shoutout to all the brains of those times for building something so extravagant and splendid.

Amazing Architecture!! The Temple is beautifully made. It is a living temple and daily worship is performed by the priest. There are no entry fees for visiting this temple. I highly recommend going in the morning or evening hours, The afternoons are very hot and you won't enjoy it as much. There are many stalls before the temple selling snacks and drinks and other items for children like toys etc. It is a perfect getaway for families.

Great place to visit and to learn our Indian culture and architecture beauty. In 12 century itself we were so advanced that we were using lathe technology, rock melting technology and earthquake proof construction and porus brick which can float in water. Proud to be Indian

Very nice temple showcasing Kakatiya architecture, amazing carvings. But quite ravaged by earthquakes and past wars/plunder. It feels like it will come crumbling down any day. But overall a nice place especially if you are interested in architecture and history.

It’s our Heritage. So many attacked that temple, but even today we can feel the greatness of our kings , sculptors. We have to show these types of places to our children, so that they can know what’s our ancestors are. How they showed our culture our rituals our sanathana dharma, our history in the form idols, sculptures. Today so many tells that , what’s in India. But if we see these types of places we can say and show the world that India is developed country in the art of culture tradition , education, economy, and what not. Thank u for our Archeological department and government for preserving the History of Bharath.
