Sula Domaine Vineyard is a good place to hangout with family and friends. Best place for any type of photo shoot.
The explanation by the guide about the preparation of wine was a really interactive session. He explained about the usage of green grapes and black grapes for preparing wine. Then it was our chance to taste the wine. We tasted about 6 types of wine. This ended our wine tour.
Next was the stop in the restaurant for lunch. Of course the place was a bit crowded when we went for lunch. We waited for some time to get our table. There, we ordered a bottle of wine, some pizza and few starters. All tasted yummy.
Overall a great place to be on a weekend.

An excellent destination to spend your weekend day... easy to go to from Bangalore.
Free parking is available.
The entrance charge is 600 per adult, and the same amount may be spent at the vineyard for dining, wine purchases, or a tour and wine tasting...very well kept area.
6 varieties of wine to sample in 600 is good...Excellent and extremely clean restaurant...Food here was good...
We really enjoyed a lot..

If you've never been to a winery, Domaine Sula gives you a brief peek into the machinations of one.
However bear in mind that it is a relatively small winery with only few acres of cultivation.
If you want to see the vineyard at its ripest season, then visit only from Jan to March. If you go at any other time, you'll see empty vines and dry branches.
The restaurant offers a selection of Italian (veg only) and Indian (veg & non-veg) cusines.
The tour is brief and informative.
The wine tasting is an okaish experience as you get to taste only six different wines, none of which are aged for more than 24 months.
Entry cost is Rs.600 per person on weekdays and Rs.800 per person on weekends, which includes tour and tasting. The price is a bit steep, considering that the tour is brief and the tasting is limited.
Wine stomping costs Rs.500 extra per person and is available on weekends only. It is more of a fun activity.
Overall, you can expect to spend around 3-4 hours here including lunch, tour and tasting.
Tours are conducted hourly, starting from 10:30 am.

A good, one time, must visit place in a weekend day time when you are in Bangalore, especially if you have never seen a Brewery/Vineyard before. Situated 60-65km away from Bangalore in Bangalore Mysore state highway just after "Channapattana"(Toys Town), which is famous for wooden toys. So can touch both places in single travel.
There is an entry fee of 400 per person, after entering inside you can convert this to a guided tour and wine tasting session by paying additional 100. The tour was interactive with short but accurate explanation about the making, selection, sorting, fermentation, barrelling Altogether a 150 m walk is needed. There was no grapevine in the yard, they must be bringing grapes from elsewhere. Then we entered the most interesting session "wine tasting" , six varities will be provided 15-20ml each, from Chardonnay to Shiraz.
There is a restaurant open and closed areas , bit crowded, you have to wait some time for getting seat and for food. Costs above average, but every food we tasted were delicious. All stars for food. Near to the restaurant you can buy wines.
There are scenic area everywhere that you could collect some good photographs.

Nice place to spend the day at. They have their a wine tasting tour. They don’t give a tour of the vineyard though. The visit and the tour fee costs 500 per person.

Good enought for a day trip from Bangalore. Was a little underwhelming as it's a tiny vineyard and fermenting facility..
We absolutely loved the bechamel sauce pasta + red sparkling wine at their restaurant!

Had to wait two hours to get food and that was only because we had to pay a cover charge of 600 at the entrance. We weren't informed at the gate on what specifically the money could be redeemed.
Definitely not worth the wait and visit. Inefficient management, full of chaos, flies everywhere and people just tired waiting for food.
The management was more interested in people spending their cover charge on the tour which happened to cost 600 rs with wine tasting package.
Not worth the travel and visit to the place. Food is just decent nothing great.

Loved the route from Bangalore.
Below are few points as soon you reach:
1. There is a cover charge of 600/- on weekends and 400/- per person on weekdays which can be redeemed inside either in shop, restaurant or experiences.
2. Go directly to the shop and register for tour and tasting, they have batch running every 2 hour.
3. They have tied up with Little Italy as restaurant partner. The food is good.
4. 3hrs max for this place.
5. The machines are off on weekends, so if you want to see how it functions, prefer weekdays.
6. I have attached the rate card of wines available for your reference.

I have visited Domaine Sula yesterday. Almost 1&1/2 hours drive from Bangalore. Its a calm and beautiful place. Good choice for a 1/2 day get away. This is off season for the grapes. So we couldn't enjoy the vine yard, but still they have guided tour and the guide explained the process of wine making and showed us the fermentation chambers, the wine barrels and the vine yard. The right season for cultivating grapes is December to March. After the tour they will have the wine tasting, we tasted almost 6 veriety of Sula wine. It was really good. After the wine tasting, we enjoyed food in the restaurant which is situated inside the Domain Sula. Food was delicious. We have opted for open area restaurant . They have a shop, where we can do purchase the wine as well. They are charging 500/- for the tour as well as for the wine tasting. The place is really beautiful, neat and calm.

We have been to this vineyard a couple of times, and never been disappointed. It's a great one day trip from Bangalore. The ambiance and services are great. Highly recommend the wine tour and tasting. The store is well stocked and the restaurant dishes out some amazing food. Must try

Not just wine you like but also few tasty cuisines, then you may like this place. They serve several varieties of wine but less varieties of veg starters. Good place to spend with family over good times. Peaceful place away from rush. Wine tour is also available along with wine tasting.

Great place for wine tasting and spending some time with family. They have a nice cafe inside for waiting before the wine tasting session. The guides are well versed with the wine making process and show around the estate with great interest. Gaurang, our guide was quite passionate about wine making and was patient with us in answering our various questions. Overall a thumbs up.

One time experience you should have and must have basic knowledge about wine…
The place and the ambience comforts you in a good atmosphere. But the restaurants inside is quite expensive..!!
The tour of wine factory and wine tasting room is a must try experience..
Good for family and friends to spend a quality time together..

A fantastic option if you want to gift someone an experience. Situated in the outskirts of Bangalore this place offers a short distance ride, tour of vineyards, walkthrough of the wine making process and wine tasting. They also have a restaurant which offers both Indian and Italian food options. There is a gift shop as well from where one can buy gifts (in the form of wine bottles). The gift shop also offers some wine options which are otherwise not very easily available in FL stores. They also give a 10% discount on all wine purchases. The tours are informative and guides are patient enough to answer your questions. Toilets are clean, the place is wheelchair accessible. There is ample parking space and they have also introduced EV charging points. Overall, it will be a great experience to spend a day here!

Would recommend not to waste your time here! Initially, the staff informed us it’s ₹400 per person for vineyard tour & wine tasting. Once we took the ticket they later informed we have to pay ₹200 extra per person for the tour and tasting. When questioned about the lack of clarity in giving out information they didn’t have any answers. The tour was a huge disappointment. The guide wasn’t explaining everything well not even the step-by-step process and more than that it was a bit difficult to understand him. There isn’t much anything to see and learn on the tour. They even didn’t show us the basic process of any vineyard tour ie grape crushing! Their vineyard is pretty much small and there’s nothing much to see and the guide as expected couldn’t contribute much there. Without any doubt, I would say not at all worth ₹600 each! The wine tasting was comparatively better than the tour but again not worth your time and money.

A Delightful Escape for Wine Lovers
Nestled off the Bangalore-Mysore expressway, Sula Vineyards or Domaine Sula offers a delightful escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. Our recent visit to this winery was nothing short of a truly memorable experience, despite arriving a tad late and missing out on the vineyard tour.
While we couldn't partake in the guided tour, which is highly recommended for those interested in exploring the vineyards in-depth, we didn't miss out on the true essence of Sula.
Sula Vineyards offers a delightful fusion of Italian and North Indian delicacies, ensuring that every palate is satisfied. The dishes were not only flavorful but also perfectly paired with the wines, creating a harmonious gastronomic adventure.
Beyond the wines and the food, Sula Vineyards boasts an ambiance that is truly captivating. The picturesque surroundings offer ample
opportunities to capture breathtaking shots, to create lasting memories.
Just keep in mind there is an entry fee, which can be redeemed against food or beverages or could explore the vineyard through tour as well.
For those interested in delving deeper into the world of winemaking, the vineyard tours are highly recommended. These tours are conducted in batches, so it's advisable to arrive early to secure a spot.
Domain Sula also offers a MRP outlet with their collection of wines and is quite pocket friendly.
Overall, Domaine Sula is a perfect destination for a day outing with loved ones. Whether you're a wine connoisseur, a foodie, or simply seeking a tranquil escape, this charming winery has something to offer everyone.
Despite the overall exceptional experience, it's worth noting that the staff could have been more courteous, which has made me to take out a star from 5 star rating. Aside from this minor drawback, Domaine Sula is a perfect destination for a day outing with loved ones.
Go explore and immerse yourself in the delightful world of Vineyards – a truly enchanting experience awaits.

A good place to spend a weekend half-day.
The vineyard tour was fine but we can't explore grape fields/farms. No permission to enter inside the field.
You can opt for wine tasting on the tour, Entry fee is 500/- on weekdays, and 600/- on weekends, which can be redeemed inside.
Stomping is not there all the time.
Restaurant is there, and costly food as well.

We visited this place unplanned as we had come to an event near by. We randomly planned and visited this place. This has a 400rs full cover per person entry charge. We went in and they explained everything about the wine tasting tour and the factory visit and all that. As we were hungry we decided to order lunch first and do the rest later. The restaurant was beautiful and the menu curation was amazing. The food was oh so mouth watering. We went full over board an ordered almost everything on the menu. Everyone liked everything except for the biryani as everyone felt it's a little bland but the mutton and chicken was cooked soo tender and juicy. Loved our experience here and our steward gave the nicest service, unfortunately don't remember his name. This place is highly recommended.

The Sri Nandi Temple is a popular tourist destination in Mysore, India due to its close proximity to the Chamundeshwari temple. The temple is dedicated to the sacred bull Nandi, and visitors are welcome to climb up to the hilltop shrine. The grounds are pleasant and a great place to relax after visiting the more popular attractions in Mysore.
This giant Nandi (Bull) image is located on top of Chamundi hill in Mysore. Over 350 years old, it is one of the oldest symbols of Mysore.
About 16 feet in height and 24 feet long, this Nandi atop the Chamundi Hills is the third largest in India. The creation of this colossal image is attributed to Dodda Devaraja Wodeyar (1659–1673) on of the illustrious Maharajas of Mysore. It is the same maharaja who also commissioned the 1000 stepped stairway to the hilltop.
Since our last visit 6 years ago, the entrance to this important bull sculpture temple has been closed to vehicles. As we visited the Sri Chamundeshwari temple above we chose to go down 300 steps to get to this one and of course we had to go back but worth to see the magnificent cow sculpture which has been cleaned and looks much better. I believe the alternative route involves climbing 1000 steps, so I recommend driving to the top and doing the 300 step workout
This is world's third largest nandi whereas first in Hampi, second in thanjavoor Tamil Nadu

This is an amazing spiritually and beautifully carved Nandhi statue situated little over half way to Chanundeshwari Temple on top of Chamundi hill. You can reach this location either by foot by climbing stairs from Mysuru or by vehicle through dedicated paved one way road. There is also a Cave Shiva temple right next to Nandhi statue. This area been well maintained, there are many vendors including food and beverage. Watch for monkies because they love your food.

Sri Nandi Temple in Mysore is the bliss to visit when you plan for the Mysore trip from your place. The temple is very near to the Chamundeshwari temple and is just half the distance to the temple there is a 5m tall idol of Nandi the sacred bull of Lord Shiva. The temple premises are very pleasant and a must worth a visit for the devotional tourists.
Huge sized granite stone Nandi very well caved and nicely placed on hill. Nandi is mount of Lord Shiva and one finds and one finds Nandi at all Shiva temples. It also called Nandidurg or Nandi Betta.
This is Big Mandi a top Chamundi Hills Mysore. Must visit if you are in Mysore. Nandi is not at top most location of the hill but a little down. Either you park in top and walk down through steps a little or on way up or down park your car and walk sideways to be here. We need to walk a maximum 5 minutes. There are lot of stalls on sideways selling cut fruits and sugarcane juice but try them if you are confident of your stomach. A little walk down the steps from Nandi you see a marvellous view of entire Mysore don't miss that. Its the best view one can get ,The large of the Nandi is beautifully carved from a single rock in the ancient history of the Mysuru.

The Nandi idol on the way to Sri Chamundeshwari Temple in Mysuru is a breathtaking monolith that commands awe and reverence. As I approached the magnificent sculpture, I marveled at its colossal size and intricate detailing, a testament to the craftsmanship of ancient artisans. Compared to the ones in Basavanagudi, Bangalore, and Tanjavur, Tamil Nadu, this Nandi stands out for its sheer scale and imposing presence. While all three Nandi idols exude spiritual significance, the one in Mysuru holds a unique charm, perfectly complementing the divine energy of the Sri Chamundeshwari Temple and leaving a lasting impression on pilgrims and art enthusiasts alike.

An imposing and huge Nandi Bull statue on the hill is definitely worth visiting. From the Chamundeshwari temple, it's around 15 mins trek one way, downward journey towards the Nandi bull is ofcourse easier but the way back, same route, is a vertical and steep even though with stairs. If you do this trek, you get at least one superb view point for clicking pictures of the city from the hill

It's a great place to visit once you visit chamundeshwari temple in Mysore. It's the biggest Nandi I have ever seen. Usually only Nandi is rare to be seen, I wonder where is Shiva in this case. Nandi is mesmerising. Very beautiful.
Road to reach there is under construction but car can reach there from other way which is not tar but motorable.
Steps are also available be very rarely used by anyone.

The Nandi is located almost at the ¾th the way to the hilltop. The main road to hilltop arrives at a "View Point" junction. The right fork leads to Nandi (2km) and the straight road leads to the main shrine of Chamundeswari further at the top of the hill. The 2km road to nandi is broken, so the only way to get there is walk 2kms. The road is flat and takes 20-30 min to reach. There is an old shiva temple in the cave behind the nandi.

The Mysore Palace, an Indo-Saracenic palace completed in 1912, is one of India's most splendid royal buildings and the second-most-visited sight in the country. It served as the seat of the Wodeyar maharajas and was rebuilt after a fire devastated the original structure in 1897. The extravagant interior features a vibrant array of stained glass, mirrors, and bright colors.
One of the mouth struck experience. Mysore palace is must visit place, still the heritage of the city is well maintained.
If you plan by evening around 4pm. You can both visit palace & light show starts at 7pm.
Or else two times you need to buy entry tickets. Really one of the marvellous architecture building and lot of moments to pursue.
Take a guide and see through so you can enjoy every details inside the palace.

Parking available. Horse chariot rides available outside the palace.
Prices are depends upon the day and public holidays. All 4 gates ride is 1000₹ and small round is 500₹.
If you go in groups they charge per head 100₹. No fixed price, you can bargain to your best and enjoy the horse chariot ride.

The upper sections will attract viewers who have to walk through barefooted.
Security checks at entrance and bags have to be screened. The personnel handled the crowds well.
On Sundays and public holidays the palace is lit up spectacularly from 7pm to 8pm making for good photo-op.

Despite this limitation, the palace remains a must-visit destination for history enthusiasts, offering a rich and immersive journey into the regal past.

Light will increase the beauty of the palace.

Great place to visit. Although the amount open is limited, the areas that are open are stunning. From the paintings of the festival parade, to the reception areas and throne room, this is stunning, and I understand more so at night. Definitely worth a visit.

Place to admire the royalty. The palace is beautiful, sometimes not fully open. Government guides are available. You would be able to see some old photos, traditional dresses, ornaments, and mind-blowing interiors. Sink in the past to see what kings life was.

This palace is so beautiful. Inside the palace, u can watch the actual heritage of how beautifully it was made by our ancestors and the corridors are so huge
It's a delight to watch these sculptures and architecture. Huge area to discover, need to spend at least 2 to 3 hours if you want to enjoy and cover the whole area

I've been here twice. Still fascinating to see a palace kept well maintained. If you are planning to visit here , you'll need a day and a night. Visiting hours are only in day time. You can watch light show in evening . You can also experience horse rides near by the palace.

Mysore Palace: A must-see gem! The stunning architecture and rich history make it a captivating destination. Be prepared for crowds, but the experience is worth it. Don't miss the beautifully illuminated palace at night for an enchanting sight. We were told that the palace is only lit on Sundays from 7pm to 8pm. Fortunately, we arrived just in time, and the palace was illuminated a bit earlier, shortly before 7.

The Sri Chamarajendra Zoological Gardens is an animal zoo located adjacent to the Karanji lake and has been in operation since 1892. The zoo is home to a diverse range of animals, including exotic species, and is highly popular with tourists. The gardens are well-maintained and feature large gardens with a lake.
I had visited in end Apr 2022 on a Sunday. Very good and well maintained zoo. ₹100 entry fees for adults, if children are below 5 years age no need for entry ticket. ₹100 if you have separate camera irrespective of type. Walking distance is around 3 km it will take around 3 hours if you want to see all birds, animals. Battery car is also available for which you need to take ticket after getting entry ticket. On entering zoo, you need to pay refundable deposit of ₹10 for every plastic bottles you have and they will label it. On exiting the zoo, show these bottles and get refund. Most of the people get exhausted at exit, so probably we won't go back to the place for refund. Good thing is that the exit gate is leading directly to car parking. So you can easily go to your van or car at the parking lot. Most of hotels around the zoo are vegetarian. this is the only drawback. Since it was a holiday time for kids, the zoo was very much crowded. Due to this during lunch time you hardly get seats at the nearby restaurants and will not have much varieties to order. Hotels nearby serve mostly rice plates during this peak hours.

A beautiful and well maintained zoo. A huge zoo with varieties of species. Carry your own mask to avoid extra ₹10 per mask. The direct view is unforgettable. Cameras cannot justify the view or pleasure of watching them with your own eyes. Hats off to Mysore govt officials.

Mysore Zoo, also known as Sri Chamarajendra Zoological Gardens, is a popular tourist attraction and one of the oldest and most well-maintained zoos in India.
It is home to a wide variety of animal species, including many endangered and exotic animals.
Visitors to Mysore Zoo can witness over 150 different species of animals, including lions, tigers, elephants, giraffes, zebras, rhinoceros, orangutans, and various types of birds and reptiles. The zoo also has a separate enclosure for nocturnal animals, where visitors can observe creatures such as bats, owls, and hedgehogs.
It has successfully bred several endangered species, including the Indian rhinoceros and the Bengal tiger.
The zoo also offers several amenities for visitors, including a battery-operated vehicle for sightseeing, a food court, and various information kiosks. It is open on all days of the week except Tuesdays and offers a unique opportunity to get up close with wildlife in a safe and controlled environment.
Overall, Mysore Zoo is a must-visit destination for animal lovers and nature enthusiasts, providing an immersive and educational experience for all ages.

It's always good to visit this zoo with good varieties of animals and birds. New animals are also filling the place as the old ones are expiring.
Maintenance has increased tremendously with good focus on customer experience and safety.
Glass barricades are a good addition but it has to be cleaned occasionally.
Feels that animals are well maintained with good flow of adoptions in the recent days.
No special value for animal adopters (which is seen in other zoos). Even a small gesture like a returnable ID card would also attract more people. Even adoption boards for less than 20k amount are not put.
Parking space, entrance and other amenities are increasing day by day, which attracts more and more tourists.
Overall, a fine place for 2 to 3 hours of time.

Wonderful experience especially if you are with kids. The animals look healthy and well taken care of though in captivity. However, the enclosures are big and give the animals a lot of space to move about.
The electronic buggy shuttles make it easier to see the entire place for those who may have knee problems or maybe tired.

1. Very Big zoo. It will take 3-4 hrs to cover entire zoo.
2. The zoo was very crowded in weekend.
3. The management is very concern about the environment but the proper execution and co-operation from public can be better.
4. There are lots of birds and animal, I didn't find in another zoo.
5. Dedicated parking is available for both 4 wheeler and 2 wheeler. 2 wheeler parking charge : Rs. 40 /bike. This is only applicable for 4 hrs parking. If you are extending this time they'll charge you more.
6. There are drinking water and toilets available in zoo at many places.
7. You can also finds few shops for snacks inside zoo.
8. Ticket charges for adult = Rs. 100/person.

The knowledge board provided informative talks and demonstrations, enhancing the educational value of the visit. The zoo's commitment to conservation efforts is commendable, and I left feeling inspired to support their mission. A must-visit for anyone looking to marvel at the wonders of the natural world!

The Mysuru Zoo is one of the cleanest ones you'll see in the country. The animals are always seen in a hygienic environ. And you have a large variety of them including Gorillas and Giraffes which are hard to find in most zoos. Children will have a memorable time although the zoo lacks a safari ride. They have golf Cart rides but these have long wait times so that part needs to be maintained better. Walking through it'll take at least 2 hours so please plan that much time.

Visited on a Sunday morning. Ticket fee is Rs. 100 for adults. Entered quickly with no waiting/queue for ticket purchase.
Didn't really expect much visiting a zoo as adults. However, we did end up enjoying every bit of the 3 hours spent in the zoo. The variety of animals and bird species with details of each mentioned in a visible and informative way, was quite good.
The place is well maintained with all facilities/amenities available.
Total walking distance is around 4km. You can opt for an electric buggy if you cannot walk (extra Rs. 200 per person)
They have a restaurant somewhere mid-way through the zoo. Food, snacks and Beverages are available. Quality and price is decent.
Recommended to visit in the morning, as it gets quite hot in the afternoon and also must animals go inside the shelter or are inactive post noon.
Overall a must visit for people of all ages visiting Mysore.

The one zoo I love going back several times since I was a kid, with my friends and now with my kids. Everytime it was fun experience. It was a long walk but the canopy of trees helped us to energize. Better to go early to avoid sun. Also carts are available for people who can't walk much. Overall enjoyable experience for everyone. Plastics are not allowed. If we carry they put sticker for 10rs each and need to return at end to get back the money.
Good idea to stop littering but still can see plastics thrown inside

The battery-operated vehicles are a convenient way to explore the zoo, especially considering the full circuit is approximately 4 km1. At a reasonable cost of Rs. 200 per person, it’s a comfortable alternative for those who prefer not to walk the distance.
Visitors have noted that the zoo is world-class, with healthy, well-fed animals and informative boards that add educational value to the visit1. It’s recommended to arrive early to see the birds and animals when they’re most active2.

Visited on a weekday afternoon and it was a little bit crowded.
There is paid parking available on the opposite side of the main entrance and an underground passage will take you directly inside the zoo.
Entry charges are Rs. 100 per head. It takes around 2 hours to cover the entire zoo on foot and requires a walk of around 2.5-3 km. Use the signboards and maps placed on the walkway to make sure you don't miss any section.
Zoo premises are well maintained and there are several birds/animals present. For kids, it would be a treat to the eyes.
I would recommend visiting in the morning hours to have the best experience. Carry an umbrella and water bottle to stay hydrated. There is a cafeteria towards the end for food and drinks.

It is hard to rate a zoo because it is essentially animals trapped in a cage for the entirety of their existence but if you put those sentiments aside, the zoo offers interesting facts of all the animals on the boards in front of the cages, regarding what they eat, how endangered they are and where they are from.
Most of the cages were well maintained however the lions looked very malnourished, or could possibly be old age. It was sad to see. The water in the ponds were not refilled so the tiger had nothing to lie in to cool down.. the zoo can be doing a lot better to take care of these animals considering the amount of people visiting each and every day.
Nevertheless, the gorillas and chimpanzees were a sight to see as they made moves for us all and tried to make us laugh..the gorilla is extremely endangered so it makes sense they are preserved in a zoo..
When you visit, make sure to not feed the animals or tease or scare them. They have feelings too. You also have options to donate to the cause by adopting the animals..

The best zoo in India and one of the best in the world as of today. The zoo is very big spanning across 157 acre and a walking of distance of around 3.5km. If you cannot walk there are golf carts available for some extra fair. The number of animals and species is just astounding. There are more than 562 mammals, 748 birds and 103 reptiles. The variety is quite big and animals and tress from all around the world can be found here. There is a lake, called Karanji which i wasn't able to visit as it required a ticket of its own but it wasn't mentioned anywhere near the ticket counter. There are souvenir shops, a restaurant and a Mysore sandal shop inside the zoo too. Don't miss the bird enclosure as it has many birds moving freely and is really beautiful.
An advice from my side: there are many places with free drinking water where you can fill up your bottle, but if you don't have a bottle and buy one from the restaurant, make sure to keep the bottle with you till the end and there will be a counter where you can give the bottle back to get Rs10 back per bottle.
(going to upload only some photos as i didn't take that many photos)

A really nice place to visit for animal and nature lovers. There are a huge variety of different animals that you can see.
The whole path is around 3km which might be difficult for some.
There is strict checking for plastic items like bottles, chips, etc. You'll also not find any snacks or beverages along the way except at one point. If you are bringing snacks, make sure to bring them in paper/non plastic bags.
Also be sure to carry water, hats and cooling glasses since it is extremely hot and sunny.
Plan to go early in the morning to avoid the afternoon heat.

Located in Mysuru city, the Sand Sculpture Museum showcases intricately carved sculptures made from sand. The museum is a privately maintained attraction and is a great place to visit if you're interested in art. The main attraction here is the 15-feet high Lord Ganesh idol made of sand, which is an amazing sight to behold. Aside from Lord Ganesh, the museum also showcases sculptures of various wildlife and ancient civilisations.
What a talented artist! it’s a small hidden gem, definitely go and appreciate the masterpieces she has created! I hope she gets the support and recognition to create and sculpt more.

If you are a art lover, do visit the place to look at the art work by a very young lady.
The space looks very small but you would definitely appreciate the work and the effort gone behind the work. There's a lot of detailing that has gone behind each piece of work.
They have tried to make the museum a bit engaging by adding other attractions in this small place like archery, 3D photo, couple of stalls(to make this place more commercial).
The carvings here was told to have taken 7-8 months to complete due to which they only have been maintaining the work for sometime now.
The entrance to the museum is ₹60/- per adult.

Whether the form is Sand art or not is not my focus, the passion and liveliness she has carved into this is priceless and more than amazing! The entire concept and connection of different themes and graceful expression for long 7 months is ultimate! The museum is located on the road to Chamundi hills and is visible from the main road. The museum is a work done by a solo artist and yes, it is too good.
The lady has got some serious skills. The entry ticket is only ₹60 which is a bit more than what I think will be commensurate to what the place has to offer. Don't get me wrong. I appreciate the efforts and everything but given the number of people visiting this place ₹30-40 would have been a better price.
The place also has some local shops for you to buy local items and goods. The sand sculptures are really breath-taking and you are for sure going to be blown away by the skills this lady has.
She is the sole person who made all the sculptures and there is a little board which explains the story behind the same.

Very beautiful business developed by sir and his family no one would have thought making sculptures and coating them with sand can become a money making tool my POV the sculpture were as is made in clay or something and then coated with sand the entry ticket is @60 per head for adult for a 10min sculpture seeing.
Frankly speaking if you're not going to take pictures over there don't go because it's not that intresting other then taking pictures I see the same old sculptures from 5 year ago Google review anyways.
Amazing business idea awesome execution.
And don't forget to give 5 star rating for using 3D picture gallery
BRYAN — Google review
Entry is 60rs per head. Kids below 5 years have free entry.
Just a 15-20 minutes walk to see the sand sculptors. Inside that there is separate area for 3D image taking , fish spa, bird feeding etc which has separate tickets to be bought at their own respective entrances.
Jean Noble — Google review
It's a very small place but the sand art work done is quite impressive. Good to take pictures and buy some local handicrafts and artifacts. The price is not justified though. You would have to negotiate a lot.
There is some home made.chocolates counter also inside.
And in the end there is a 3d picture booth. If you learn the trick then pictures do come out nice.
Gunjan G Upadhyay — Google review
Entry was 60 per head . Nice work by artist . Has few small shops with handmade chocolates and
Handicrafts .. but very dusty .. has an archery playing place with additional payment... has a few large pics where you can take almost near realistic pics like hulk , palace , kali ma..etc.
Sand art is very nice ..measurements are propotionate and detailing is nice .

Good place to visit, even though it's not that famous, if you have 1 hour to spare, you can definitely go here.
It's not a big place, just small covered campus with lots of amazing and beautiful sand carvings with great details. The entry ticket is also very nominal.
Also they have a bird feeding activity inside. You need to pay seperately for this. But the experience is good. I did that and it was very fun.
Ayush Garg — Google review
Good place to visit once. A lady named Gowri created these first ever sand art museum in Mysore. It is very small place. 30 mins is enough, but must visit.
It also has 3D picture gallery where you can click photos.

The Sri Chamundeshwari Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Goddess Chamundeshwari, an incarnation of the goddess Durga. The temple is located atop a hill in the city of Mysore and offers panoramic vistas of the city. Many rulers have contributed immensely to the temples development and given valuable ornaments to Goddess Chamundeshwari.
Whenever I go there. I can feel holiness of this place.when I see "maa" in front of my eyes that moment always is special for me. Jai Mata Di.

The temple is very clean and situated on the top of Chamundi hill. The routes are very scenic and breathtaking. There are two tickets available either you'll get direct entry or you can enter through the queue..We visited in Friday and it was quite rush as it's considered very auspicious day..Also you'll find nandii at a short distance.

Nice place for a visit, i went during rainy Saturday, crowd was very less. There was no queue I went inside directly and saw the goddess. The whole Mysore city can be seen from the top. If your health permits try using the stairs (1000 steps) once for going up and coming down.

Chamundi Hills and the Chamundeshwari Temple in Mysore, India, are truly awe-inspiring. The climb up the 1,000 steps is a test of endurance, but the panoramic views of Mysore city are worth it. The temple's intricate architecture and rich history make it a spiritual and cultural gem. Don't miss the giant Nandi statue on the way up! Overall, a must-visit destination for nature lovers and those seeking a spiritual experience. Peaceful place really nice ♥️

This well-known tourist spot in Mysore is a must-visit for those seeking goddess blessings. The temple's charm is delightful, although it can get crowded on weekends and Friday mornings. However, for a small fee of Rs 100 or Rs 30, visitors can opt for fast entrance or special entry, respectively, ensuring a smoother experience. Don't miss the opportunity to explore the nearby nature paths and enjoy the fresh air. While parking is available for a fee and a short walk away, it adds to the overall convenience of visiting this sacred site.

Temple is beautiful and it is located in the chamundi hills. One Amazing thing about this temple was a gallery was opposite the temple which is donated by a Muslim resource. Unity in diversity. The structure is nice and really impressed by an asuran statue at the entrance

A great atmosphere. This temple is located on a small hill top. It's one of the most beautiful and the oldest temple of the area. The view on the way to the temple and even from the hill is just breathtaking, especially in the evenings. Its great to visit in the mornings or in the evenings to enjoy the weather.
I will suggest not a stand in line instead of taking special tickets and after you take laddu for every special ticket.

Review Date (28-6-23): Chamundeshwari is called by the people of Karnataka as Nada Devi (ನಾಡ ದೇವಿ), which means state Goddess. It is situated at the elevation of around 3300 ft from the mean sea level.
--> It is believed that Goddess Durga slayed the demon king Mahishasura on the top of this hill which was ruled by him. The place was later known as Mahishooru (Place of Mahisha). The British changed it to Mysore and later Kannadized into Mysuru.
--> The Chamundeshwari Temple is considered as a Shakti Peetha and one among the 18 Shakti Peethas.
--> The worst thing here is management of queue line for Dharshan. The Rs.100/- or Rs.30/- or d free Darshan has almost no difference bcz it took 2½ to 3 hrs for Rs.100/- nd all queue lines got mixed at almost same time.
Toilets r there but some less maintenance.
--> Flowers, coconut stalls people say to keep footwear for free but we should compulsory buy at them. But infact there is a plenty of Footwear storage for Rs.10/- for 2 pairs. So no one need to leave their footwear at stalls..
Monkeys are quite more so don't keep banana type eatables directly in hand.

A gorgeous Hare Krishna temple. Even on a weekday, it was super busy, but we didn't have to wait and the queue moved quickly.
Great view of Bengaluru from outside the temple too. Please be aware that photography is not permitted within the temple.

It was a nice journey. This temple is located on the summit of a mountain, with a scenic view. However, it is necessary to be careful from monkeys who behave very well in this place, sometimes jumping on the pilgrims also!

Temple is clean and well maintained. The maintenance of public queues could have been better. Some tend to break the queue. Police on duty don’t bat an eye. Ample parking facility for both 2 and 4 wheelers. Good views from the top. And the temple looks beautiful.

The top favourite place in Mysore, whatever the mood is visiting Betta and temple is a bliss. I bet this is a favourite spot for many more people. All prayers to Goddess Chamundeshwari devi 🙏
CHETHAN NAGAMALLAPPA — Google review
Temple is really divine but crowd management is worst. Please ensure that people enter the temple in single line so that elderly people and people carrying babies don't feel suffocated. The push and pull mentality doesn't let one have a peaceful glance towards the goddess. The management must take care about queue management properly.

Temple is nice. There is general line, special line and fast line for free,rs 30 and RS 100 respectively. In the end all the lines meet at the entrance door so that point is really crowded. Once inside the temple you don't have even 3 seconds to join hands and pray. That is the part is didn't really like I was told to leave as soon as I got in.

Start early, so that you reach the place 'gaganachukki' . You can spend sometime there watching lush greenery and fill your eyes with Milky colour of water falling from mountains. You can smell the aroma of water flow.
From there, around 12km drive where you see the 'shivana samundra' check dam. no water activities are allowed but swimming with own risk.. the water flow is very high during mansoon reason, till oct.
Drive another 1.5km from here , actually you see the gaganachukki back sight see, from Durga side
Drive another 2.5km from there and you reach the 'barachukki'.
This is even marvelous.
So, you should visit all the 3 places to complete the shivana samudra a day trip.
You can visit hydro power plant if your are interested.
Madhya ranga is the famous temple located near shivana samudra.

Barachukki Waterfalls is a stunning attraction located in southern Karnataka that has been generating hydroelectric power since 1902. It is one of the pair of island waterfalls situated in a deep gorge, offering breathtaking views especially during the rainy season. The official visiting hours are from 9am to 5pm and there is a nominal fee for vehicles (10rs for bike). Visitors can enjoy ample parking space and benches while taking in the beauty of the falls.
One of the widest and gorgeous waterfalls in India! The sight of the very wide to very small streams rushing down through the trees and so on is beautiful.
I think August is the best time to enjoy the wilderness of the waterfalls. During August, all major dams open after heavy rainfall.

My last visit was on the first week of April. Even at that time many waterfalls where active. I would say It'll really beautiful and serene during the monsoon.
They charge Rs 20/- for car entry. Large parking space is available. There is stairs to climb down to the foothill of waterfall. But when we visited it was closed halfway. Rs 5 per person is charged to get down halfway too. Well you get slightly better view from halfway gallery.
Not much activities though but kids will be happy to see so many monkeys there.

Very good place to visit in a day trip from Bengaluru. However, in 2023 rainfall is less. Hence the water falls have narrowed. That's not so good to see. Road towards the falls are not maintained well. It doesn't feel that we are on the way to visiting such a famous place. Some people stand in the way and take some money in the name of entry, parking, etc. But there is no such development, facility, infrastructure visible around. I believe that these are authentic persons tasked to maintain the tourist spot. Rest rooms don't exist or not easily identifiable. Needs a big infra development.

One of the beautiful waterfalls in southern Karnataka. The view here is amazing! Perfect time to visit is during the monsoon/rainy season. The official timings are from 9am to 5pm, so if you reach here early, you'll have to wait outside the main gate. Better to reach here before 10am as it'll get crowded. There's a small entry fee for vehicles (10rs for bike). There is ample parking space. There are also benches available where you can sit and enjoy the view. As of now (November) they won't allow you to go to the bottom, but you can pay 5rs ticket and go till the 2nd bottom point. This is just 3hrs journey from Bangalore, perfect for a 1 day weekend trip.

Unbelievable experience due to mesmerizing scenic beauty of this place.
This falls is one part of the famous Shivanasamudra. If you are traveling from Bangalore then you will be visiting first Gaganachukki view point. From there this Barachukki view point is around 14 km.
This place gets closed at 5 PM. You need to pay 20 Rs for 4 wheeler car and 5 Rs each for every person entering the falls area. Not much option of having food here. You will get small stalls of coconut water, yummy Sugarcane juice etc. So plan accordingly.
View while traveling from Gaganachukki view point to Barachukki view point is also mesmerizing.
Overall nice place to enjoy your day out. Few food restaurants (very limited) you will get while coming to this spot. Not sure about the quality.

There is a forest entry fee you need to pay at entrance of forest.

The waterfall and its surrounding areas are gorgeous. Post monsoon, there's plenty of water flowing and the views are amazing. The only caveat being we aren't allowed to go anywhere near the waterfall. We have to view it from quite a distance.
There are routes to go much closer, but they've been barricaded.
The drive near the waterfall, the peaceful hustle and bustle of the place, and the overall experience is very good.

Entry fee was 20rs each person before that you will get toll gate to enter here you need to pay 40rs per vehicle.
The washroom is also available and for refreshments coconut water, fruits, salad ice cream and snacks items were available there.

It might be a great view point during the rainy season as the water flow would be great. There is an entry ticket of Rs 30 per car. You can enter only after 9am. From the entry gate you will have to drive about 3 to 4 kms. They have entry ticket of Rs 5 for each person to get down the stairs of around 100 steps to have a closer look at the falls. There is no toilet facility. I only saw a board but the toilet which I thought was supposed to be was locked.

Unbelievable experience due to mesmerizing scenic beauty of this place.
This falls is one part of the famous Shivanasamudra. and not much rain this year hence the water flow was less.
I will visit again in the rainy season.

View from the other side was awesome, can spend sometime here with family and friends. You can reach here and cant go near and bath on this falls, ticket is 5 rs. But on other way you can bath in the river and nature beauty. It is too crowded on the weekends. Can take some photos on this view, relax for sometime in evenings

Hilltop Hindu temple featuring a golden stepped tower, ornate stone carvings & panoramic views.
Located on top of a hill, in the middle of a beautiful forest and tiger reserve, this temple brings a feeling of divinity to the place. You can drive all the way up to the stairs of the temple and park there. The views from the temple compound are nice and evoke serenity.

Neat and clean precincts. Drivable road right to 500 yards from the temple. You could also climb stairs from the bus stop.
We were lucky as there were no crowds. Peaceful darshan.
Don't miss the two beautiful chariots near the bus stop.

One of a beautiful temple surrounded on all sides by blue tinged mountains. The view from hill top is very nice during the sunset times when we went. The Ranganatha swamy is in standing position unlike in sleeping position normally. Two routes are there go by forest route and return by the other since the forest route will close by 6 pm. Unless you leave by 5 pm from temple don’t go by forest route as it takes about an hour to reach the forest department check post.

This temple of lord Rangnath Swamy (or Lord Vishnu) is located at the top of the hill. It takes about 4 to 5 hours from Bangalore and road is awesome while riding through the Mandya district and Cauvery Basin as you won't feel tired while driving. Overall this place is good for one night stay and explore. There are hotels available on the Hill. I loved this place because of descent forest density and reachable from Bangalore. You have to drive few KMs on the top. From here you can take an aerial view of the down town. The architecture and surrounding of the temple is descent. One interesting thing is you can see both, the Sunrise and Sunset from top of this small hill. It is surrounded by the reserved forest area that is visible from the top. We enjoyed beautiful sunset here.

This place is serene. Has good approachable roads. One has to drive through a 15km forest. Forest Guards allow the vehicles to pass through post 6am after making an entry the register. Temple opens at 7am and is well maintained. One can get panoramic views from the view point behind temple. Do go wary to avoid the crowds. This is one of the places that can be added to the off beats lists around Mysore.

Temple is renovated. Some work is still going in the temple premises. There is temple view point and a hall where food is served. The temple closes at 2 pm daily and opens at 4pm. There are monkey gangs trying to snatch fruits and eatables. Other places in the vicinity are K.Gudi wilderness camp jungle safari and Venugopal swamy temple. Nearby hotels for food/snacks/tea are Hotel Mayura Biligiri and Giridarshini.

We trekked to the Vishnu temple from Gorukana resort as part of temple trekking. The trek was of easy intensity, with great view of the valley and mountains and sunset. The only problem, which I believe is a big one, was that plastic trash was strewn all over the place, including the path way.

Nestled amidst the lush greenery of the Western Ghats, BR Hills is a natural paradise. The drive up to the hills is an adventure in itself, with winding roads that offer breathtaking views of the surrounding forests. As you ascend, you can feel the crisp mountain air rejuvenating your senses.
The BR Temple, dedicated to Lord Biligiri Rangaswamy, is a serene haven of spirituality. The rituals and prayers here are performed with great devotion, adding to the spiritual aura of the place.

Very nice temple on the top of the hill. This is near to kollegala, in Mysore district. To reach the temple there are two routes, one is through Chamarajnagar, & one is through kollegala. In both the sides the traveller needs to travel in the reserved Forrest route which is an amazing experience. You will witness some wild animals like elephants, tigers, wild pigs, wild buffalo, deers etc.
Always be careful about the animal while driving.

There is also a small way, where car can go for people who can't climb the steps. Parking fee is 20 Rs. The main deity is lord Murugan. There is also a seperate shrine for muruga and his two concerts. There is also a Vinayagar shrine. The corridor around the temple is quite broad. A peaceful place. I am not aware of the history of the temple, but it is a relatively new temple.

A very calm and peaceful place.
They are maintaining the temple and atmosphere well.
We need to pay for the parking, enough spacing is available.
There are few shops in the downhill where we can buy flowers etc.
Not nearly, after 1kms bakery available and hotels also available.
If u pay for new vehicle poojas also available.

Hilltop Hindu temple featuring a colourful tower & ornate stone carvings, plus panoramic city views.
I have been visiting this temple for years! I used to climb up the hill thru steps with my cousins and was waiting to make the road to the hill. After that hardly been thru waking and traveling up the hill thru a car and missing lot of fun while we used to walk. Another peaceful temple and environment. If you want to have good dharshan, get special ticket and get in. Common queue will move fast and hardly you can see the god statue as its dark inside the room. In common queue be careful while climbing on the platform which is made to see the god. Old people may have hard time! Stay there form sometime to feel the breeze and view from the hill which is so beautiful 😍

I recently visited the Arthanareeswarar Temple and it was thoroughly impressed by the beautiful architecture and peaceful atmosphere of the temple. The main shrine dedicated to Shiva combined with his consort Parvati was a sight to behold, with intricate carvings and stunning details.
I also appreciated the cleanliness and maintenance of the temple grounds, as well as the helpful and friendly staff who were on hand to answer any questions and guide visitors.
In addition to the main shrine, the temple also had several smaller shrines dedicated to various deities, as well as a large pond that added to the serene atmosphere of the place.
Overall, I would highly recommend a visit to the Arthanareeswarar Temple to anyone looking to experience the rich cultural and spiritual history of the region. It is a truly beautiful and peaceful place that is sure to leave a lasting impression.

On 06.07.2023 morning had dharshan of Lord Arthanareeshwer temple at Tiruchengode. Situated at the top of a hill one of the most beautiful temple having the best sculptures. The fronts mantap roof is having beautiful stone carvings. Ammaiyappar mantap on a tortoise is so nice to see. Those who are interested in architecture a must place to visit. The temple is maintained very neatly. Good approach road is there to reach the temple by vehicles. The temple is on the Namakkal to Erode NH at Tiruchengode very easily accessible. Had a very good experience.
Here Lord Siva shared his body with Parvathi is giving Dhatshan as Arthanareeshwar and the deity is decorated with dhoty and saree with flowers and only face with 50 : 50 of Lord Siva and Parvathi is not visible due to darkness in karuvarai. Aarathi is also not helpful. Lighting problem is there.
Also for Rs 25 dharshan lot of space is allowed and a small space allowed for free dharshan in the back which is violation of court guidelines. This discrimination to be avoided .
Hope people concerned may do something.

Visiting the temple dedicated to Lord arthanareeshwara was an awe-inspiring experience that gave me goosebumps. The serene atmosphere and the divine presence of the deity created an overwhelming sense of peace and spirituality. The intricate sculptures and the soothing chants added to the overall ambiance, making it a truly unforgettable visit. I highly recommend this temple to anyone seeking a profound connection with Lord.

I visited the temple with my family this morning around 9 am. The temple on the hill has separate paths for two-wheelers and four-wheelers, making it convenient to reach. The parking facilities are ample, and we had no trouble finding a spot. The temple had a minimal crowd, allowing us to peacefully pray to all the gods. We opted for the special dharisanam, purchasing tickets at a reasonable cost of 25 per person. It's a great place to visit with family, and we felt a positive vibe. Just a heads up, there are monkeys around, so be cautious.

The temple is situated on the hillock which has two modes of reachability - climb 1100 odd steps or drive uphill to the temple. Very serene atmosphere and usually not crowded. If tou decide to climb the steps, start at 5 in the morning which is ideal. You can enjoy the peaceful nature of the surroundings. It's definitely a sight to see the view of the Tiruchengode town lit up during the ascent in the morning. The temple opens by 6 in the morning and you can reach by walk within one hour. Once you have the Darshan don't forget to ask the priest on the history of ardhanarishvara and chengottuvelavan.

Perfect peaceful place in Tiruchengode. This place is considered to be 2000years old. Have your eye's on the temple statues - it will be great and detailed. You'll also get better natural views. Sunday's will receive more visitor here. You could also see cows and monkey's over here. Be cautious with monkey's when you carry any plastic bags. But the maintenance by the temple's management is non-sense. They just dump waste from the temple in the hill land itself. The waste includes plastic wrappers.😠.

About the temple, Sri Arthanāreeswarā temple, also known as Thirukodimāda Chenkundrūr, is an ancient Hindu temple, located in Tiruchengode, in the southern Indian state of tamil nadu. The temple is dedicated to Arthanadheeshwarar, a form of the Hindu deity shiva combined with his consort parvati. Also called as Madhorubagan and Ammaiyappan (mother-father). The famous Chenkottu Velavar Temple, dedicated to Lord murugan, is also situated on the same hill. Also, it is one of the shrines of the 275 paadal pettra sthalam praised in the Thevaram hymns of the Saivite saints. The sacred hill is about 650 ft. high, and a climb of 1156 steps leads worshippers to the temple at its peak. The hill is called 'Nagagiri' in the Thevaram hymns and is also known by many other names like Chemmalai, Panimalai, Nandimalai, Uragaverpu. The hill contains about 350 acres of land, which lies 2000 ft about sea level. Highly recommended to visit in the early morning.

Very peaceful temple in the hills. You can go to the temple by bus or car or by bike. This temple is fully surrounded by beautiful nature and its an auspicious place. Its a very old temple, the main god is Arthanareeswarar ( Lord Shiva and Parvathi together ). The right side is Lord Shiva and left side Lord Parvathi Devi. This is a very nice temple you can have Dharshan of Lord Ganesha, Lord Ardhanarishwar (Half Lord Shiva and half Parvathi Devi) Sengottuvelavar (Subramanya Swamy) and Aadikesava Perumal (Vishnu). Girivalam around the foot hills (7km) is a practise during the full moon days. Theertham (natural water body) at the foot steps of lord Ardhanarishwar Is famous and will be offered to devotees during Dharshan. Cars can go upto the hill temple and car parking is available. Early morning the clouds covered the temple and very nice weather on the top of the hill. Further to this temple by 30mins trek Ucchi Pillayar (Vinayaka) situated on the top of the mountain.

A divine place with a beautiful view from the hilltop. The road leading to the temple from the foothill is a little steep. Please drive carefully and cautiously as it's the same road for the vehicles coming down too. There is a bus service to take you to the temple too . Please inquire about the timings. You can get a special darshan ticket to have a closer look at the deity. 🙏🏻

Nice place. The temple is spacious and a good place to visit with family.
The place around the temple is also nice. Since it's a hill place , it's good for a small bike ride. Morning time is a beautiful view here. Buses are also available from the foot of the hill to the temple. Morning time before 8 is recommended since at the time there is no crowd and we can dharsan without too much waiting time.🙏

👌😎This is by far the coolest temple I've ever gone to. The temple is located in a hill. Went to this place with my relative using a car and it was just 2 km (the road to reach the top).
Once we went to the top, I saw that the temple was filled with 𝗔 𝗟𝗢𝗧 𝗢𝗙 𝗠𝗢𝗡𝗞𝗘𝗬𝗦. Roaming here and there, they were everywhere! Even when we were doing an archanai, the monkeys were looking for food!
Outside the temple, there were 2 gift shops where we could buy things ranging from keychains to pillows. Overall, it was an amazing journey and definetely worth the hours I spent in the car!😄🐒

One of the well maintained temples. Usually people visit here and book spots for marriage. In a single day, around 15 to 20 marriages are happening here. This way from bottom to top of the hill is awesome for view and the climate. I suggest you visit early in the morning, so that the view of sunrise will be awesome from the top of the hill.

Lord shiva as Arthanaareeswarar in temple is a sight to behold. Temple is open upto 2pm but try to go before 12 as queue might slow down after 12pm due to Pooja rituals at 1pm.
We took a special ticket to watch the deity from a nearby distance. This temple is special for newly married couples and they are allowed to exchange garlands infront of the deity outside of the sanctum.
The temple and its architecture details were so good and there will be two things to disturb you - one is monkey and the other is management staffs inside the temple. Staffs are always shouting and there is no peace observed while praying eventhough if you have a special entrance ticket. Priority is always given for VIPs and the people they know and the people who work there.
Apart from these its a must visit temple 👍🏻
There are buses plying to the hill temple near the temples’s car shed and you could also drive by your own vehicle with an entry fee of 20.
Alternatively you could climb using the steps but make sure to start earlier to avoid harsh sun. Carry water bottles with you and beware of monkeys.

Saivite temple for Sengottuvelan. Arthanaariswarar is a special attraction to this temple. We could see 7 foot naagar sculpted on the rock inside the temple. Must be 1000+ years old. Looks like Kesavaperumal temple was added later by vijaynagara kings.
Abishegam for arthanaariswarar is done daily around 12 noon ONLY with milk and tender coconut.

The Arulmigu Avinashi Lingeshwarar Temple is a Hindu temple in the Kongu region, featuring stepped towers and carved stone pillars. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, it is an ancient temple with a 1000-2000 year old history and is the first temple in this region. The architecture of the temple is mesmerizing and it has well-maintained surroundings with plenty of parking space.
This temple is situated 40 km from Coimbatore and about 14 km from Tirupur.
Here Shiva is worshipped as Avinasiappar, and is represented by the lingam. His consort Parvati is depicted as Karunambigai.
The temple has six daily rituals at various times from 6:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. and four yearly festivals on its calendar. The Brahmotsavam festival is celebrated during the day of the Magam (February – March) is the most prominent festival. The Pathiri tree blossoms only during Brahmotsavam and never before or later.
As per Hindu legend, two boys of eight years of age took a dip in a tank when a crocodile swallowed one of them. Sundarar on his way to Tiruvanchikulam heard the incident and sung praises of Shiva in the temple. The boy was miraculously rescued from the clutches of a crocodile and this event is commemorated during the Mudalai Vaai Pillai Utsavam on Panguni Uththiram. There is a shrine to Sundarar on the banks of the temple tank. Since the boy came out of crocodile’s mouth, the place is called Pukkoliyur.
Brahma is said to have worshipped the Shiva here for hundred years. The elephant of Indiran, Iravadham is said to have worshipped at this temple for twelve years.

Chennimalai Murugan Temple is a Hindu shrine devoted to Lord Murugan, located on a small hill accessible by a trail consisting of 1,320 steps. Visitors can also reach the temple by car or bike via a road with nine hairpin bends. Those coming by bus need to get off at Chennimalai town and take the temple bus available at the foothills.
I have never experienced such positive energy.. the temple is very powerful. It will give peace of mind.
It has 1320 steps.
What I suggest is...
1. Go alone
2. Leave your footwear before entering into steps
3. Step your first step at 6am
4. Feel the chill air and enjoy rising Sun

Not gonna lie, it was a tough hike but plenty of shades to sit and enjoy the flowers and the animals. Be careful with the bags though, there are aggressive gang of monkeys that nearly got my bag away. I had to put my bag under my shirt in order for them to leave me. Even then one of them was trying it's best. They ar every bold. You can also drive up too. There is a car park up the hill with plenty of room. The temple itself is very nice too. We friends (group of 6) happened to visit this temple on 2nd Sep 2023 (Saturday). We struggled hard to reach the temple top through public transport. The temple management has 2 buses, which they would eventually take only if the head count is more than 20 for a bus. So we had to wait for an hour to get started from the base.
So I would recommend either going with self transport or taking the foot path.
Once you reach the temple, the place is surreal. The temple is well maintained by the management. Wash room facilities available at the top. I heard that the devotees are offered with Anna Prasadham as well.

This temple is at a distance of approximately 25 - 30km from Erode Busstand, and hardly 13.km from Perunthirai busstand. Good connectivity of public transport is seen, also there are mini bus services till the top of the Chennimalai...
By Trek one has to climb 1300 foot steps to reach the hill top, at the foot of the hills witness Idumban, and then proceed, in route there is Aathi Vinayagar temple, then move to the top to witness the divine supremacy of the Siragiri Lord Murugan.
After the Moolavar sannidhi, there are Valli - Deiyvanai temple, followed by Pinnakau Siddhar cave.
Temple architecture is grand, premises are clean and neat, a spectacular view of Erode - Coimbatore can be seen from hill top, also beware of monkeys you can see them more often trying to grab your eatbles.
Month of visit : December
Time : Morning 9
The floating population was moderate
Avoid trekking bw 10-12

It's one of the oldest temples in this area. There is a belief that it was built even before the Palani temple. An entry ticket to this hill is 20 rupees for a car. A mini bus is in operation to reach the temple which is located on the top of the hill. A few hairpin bends and a slop. The temple is very clean, calm and beautiful.

Sri Anjaneyar temple in Namakkal is the most popular and revered Lord Hanuman temple in Tamilnadu. The 18 feet majestic deity with rudraksha mala in folded hands facing Lord Narasimha Perumal temple at the base of hill, a short distance away. The deity has no roof but there is a large entrance mandapam in front. Abhisheka Pooja at around 11 am is very eloborate.

We worshipped Lord Lakshmi Narasimhar and Anjaneyar. Priests were polite and did Aarathi patiently. But the devotees were not patient and everyone wanted to jump the queue. The shops before Anjaneyar temple have encroached the road and the municipality administration didn’t bother to remove them.

A medieval architecture marvel in the middle of bustling city.
It’s quite rare to find a temple dedicated for Narasimhar, one of the avatars of lord Vishnu.
With intricate craftsmanship of the doors depicting the way of living, carefully carved sculptures adorning walls and stupas, the way rocks were cut to perfectly align with adjoining mountain one could only stand and admire.
Great place to calm oneself and embrace spirituality.

There are many temples in TN where the architecture is awesome. This temple is one such marvel. Caves are carved, can you imagine that. Even today we don't have the technology to carve caves/rocks. Go there and get blessings from Nrusingha and especially our mother, Naamagiri Thaayar

my main house god. This temple gives a very divine feeling. Cannot explain it in words. Beautiful built out of rock at a fort and surrounded by trees, its so peaceful and silent once you step inside here. Once in inside the temple, i don't feel like talking my phone out and clicking pictures or anything. 🙏

This is a must visit temple in Namakkal... Lord Narsimha's vigraha is massive and the temple and garbagriha has a very ancient look... When crowded, the garbhagriha becomes hot and stifling but on normal days, the temple is quiet and peaceful... This temple is inside the rock fort and in front of the Namakkal Anjaneyar temple...

One of the most astonishing Narasimha temples in the whole of India, owing to the mystical history of the Narasimha deity appearing Himself out of the rock, which is nothing but a giant shaligrama. Very peaceful and spiritually charging atmosphere. Right opposite the temple there is a huge Hanuman deity which is still miraculously increasing in size, but let the archakas themselves tell you why this is happening :). It is a must visit! (photos of the main deity are not allowed, so I post pics of some other places withing the temple compound.

(21/2/22), beautiful temple in my locality it was renovated last couple years. The main god here is shiva surrounded by lord ganesh, murugan, Amman, Brahma, 63 nayanmargal etc. It's a bit big temple we can see separate Mandapam for karuvurar. This temple has its own history, this place was once a forest and it is mostly used for pasture, one day the cow which was grazing went straight to snake pit nearby, cow poured it's milk on pit and where the lord Shiva found and that place was made as temple by the locality and consideration as most powerful. This story can be also found in entrance of kodi maram or inside their is a sculpture which describes the history of this temple

Thirumoorthy Dam is 20 kms from Udumalpet on the highway from Palani to Coimbatore. The dam has been constructed adjoining the Thirumurthy Hill. This scenic dam is close to the Amanalingeswarar Temple; close by are a perennial stream and a waterfall. Thirumoorthy Dam is scenically located amidst rolling hills. The panorama of the Anamalai Hills surrounding the shimmering waters of the Reservoir is a sight to behold.

Anaimalai Tiger Reserve is a nature reserve that houses an array of wildlife, including elephants and tigers. Visitors can enjoy animal encounters such as elephant rides and have the opportunity to spot these creatures both during the day and at night. The park offers off-road excursions and trekking spots with guidance from forest department officials who collect fees at various points. Additionally, Anaimalai is known for its coconut production, accounting for 75% of all coconuts in Pollachi.
Nice place to chill over the weekends. We can see elephants live feeding at the camp, other wild animals like bison, deer, bird varieties, monkeys(not the one's that we usually see), wild squirrels, wild elephants etc.
Try to be here early as possible, maybe around 6.30 so that you can see wild animals inside the reserve.

The Anamalai Tiger Reserve, more famously known as the Indira Gandhi Wildlife Sanctuary and National Park, located in the south of India is a unique reserve which has long since protected the endemic species of both plants and animals that reside here.
The reserve was officially declared a Tiger Reserve in the year 2007. It lies in the Western Ghats which is a well-known hotspot for biodiversity. This also means that the species found in the tiger reserve are truly endangered and often rare and in need of protection. A visit to Tamil Nadu will never be complete without visiting the Anamalai Tiger Reserve that has been the constant state's companion since its establishment in the year of 1848. The reserve’s unique location also makes it a gathering spot for many nature lovers and photographers that wish to witness the marvels of the reserve while also taking in the marvels of the landscape surrounding it. Another aspect that makes the reserve truly unique is the fact that it is also an anthropological reserve and hosts around six different tribal groups, one of which is endemic to the area. When visiting the reserve individuals are sure to witness at least a few things that would hold their interest and have them delving deeper into the reserve.

The drive from Anamalai to Parambikulam is filled with greenary and is quite peaceful and relaxing
By the mid-1800s, large tracts of Valparai plateau in the Anamalais were under intense tea or coffee plantations after deforestation of the natural forests. By 1866 two-thirds of the plantations were owned by Europeans and the remaining by Indians from coastal towns. Since most native inhabitants either refused to work or were inefficient workers, labour for plantations was brought from the plains of Tamil Nadu to clear forests and grow coffee.
Some parts of the forest however were reserved for timber including large areas around Top Slip. This part of the Western Ghats, under the Madras Presidency were exploited extensively for teak which was supplied to the Bombay Dockyard for shipbuilding and later for railroad ties.
In 1855, this area came under sustainable forest management for teak plantations by the pioneering efforts Douglas Hamilton and H. F. Cleghorn of the new Tamil Nadu Forest Department. In the early 1900s, protection of the Karian shola was also ensured.
The area was notified as Anaimalai Wildlife Sanctuary in 1974. of its unique habitats at 3 places – Karian Shola, Grass hills, Manjampatti Valley were notified as a National Park in 1989. The 108 square kilometres (42 sq mi) National Park is the core area of the 958 square kilometres (370 sq mi) Indira Gandhi Wildlife Sanctuary.IGWS was declared a Project Tiger tiger reserve in 2008.
The Park and the Sanctuary is under consideration by UNESCO as part of The Western Ghats World Heritage Site. The Sanctuary and the Palni Hills in Dindigul District form the Aanaimalai Conservation Area.[9]

ATR as known went with much expectations but nothing that justified it, was lucky to see spotted deer, a few elephants nothing else, Topslip or the Govt should take steps to make the safari a memorable one and not a damn boring thing, 236 Rs was charged per head but didn't feel worth it. All the time that one invests seems to be worthless at the end, before visiting make sure to choose the best time or else the visit will be totally worthless. Jungle Safari shouldn't be done for the sake of safari 😶.

One of the famous tiger reserve in Tamil nadu with wide range of biomes.Famous for bengal tiger presence but we are not lucky enough to spot any animals that time. Some areas were dry deciduous forest which lacks greenery.Traveling through this area was a thrilling ride. After Udumalaipettai there will be a check post before the forest where you need to pay entry fees of Rs 30. One of the concerns which I noticed people were littering plastic waste along this ghat road which is unacceptable and disappointing.
