Nice place to chill out.
Highly crowded place during weekends.
Many people have spoiled the place by leaving plastic and glass bottles.
Glass pieces will be found inside and outside the water, so please be careful while swimming.
Don't walk in barefoot.
There is a temple inside the water in the centre of the lake.
Water will be present throughout the year.
Best place for sunset view.
Depth of this lake is not yet been know. Many people have died who tried to know the depth.
This place is well known for its history.
Please do avoid leaving plastic, bottles and any waste.

Best place watch the serenity of the nature and dam. It was full with water so it was beautiful to watch. Do visit without fail if you have gone to visit Yediyur temple. Road is not so good for 1 km near Dam.

The dam built under the guidance of Sir M Vishweshwaraiah is very cool with auto operation
The gates are closed and open randomly and the people who work there show the working of dam
The sight is very nice to look at with vast stretches of water to see. But go either early in morning or evening as there is no shaded area for cover
The area /garden below the dam can be improved
There are several steps to reach the top of dam
No wheelchair access.
Cars/bikes can be parked on road leading to dam and there is no designated space. There are some small stall to eat and drink sugarcane juice but better to carry your own food or drink

Very scenic and well maintained dam. Reservoir is huge. Calm place. We went around morning 6:30. No people were around. No tickets required. Good to spend 30min to an hour. Well connected via NH. 500mtrs is off drive road.

If you come here on a weekday, you will find it very less crowded and can literally hear the sound of nature.
The park is not maintained although that gives nature to shape it in its own way.
A must visit place I must say but not much to do there other than shoking the sounds of the water waves.

A very beautiful and hidden gem, with local guides educating about the place's history. Spread across more than nearly 500-600 Acres, providing water for many villages around it. No parking issues, No tickets. But don't leave kids unattended as there are safety issues at many places.(no grill for steps Etc) If improved this place can attract a good number of visitors. It is around 90kms from Bangalore with good roads.

Well maintained dam, thankfully people haven’t littered the place yet. Beautiful scenery and pretty huge reservoir. One can visit the dam bridge opening by paying few bucks to the folks there who would explain and take you down to a small room where the gates opening mechanism can be seen. The last 1km if road is not good, rest is amazing.

This temple architecture is similar to Belur Chennakeshava temple and it’s very different from that.
This soumya keshava temple has a Nagamandala in which if we stand below that mandala and pray our wishes come true. Peaceful place, and there is a vegetable market near by and you guys can buy vegetables less price than city price.

Sowmya keshava and Sowmya Lakshmi amma.

Spacious and clean.
The Saumyakeshava temple (also spelt Sauymakesava or Soumyakeshava) at Nagamangala was constructed in the 12th century by the rulers of the Hoysala empire. Nagamangala is a town in the Mandya district of Karnataka state, India. It is located 62 km from the historically important town Mysore, on the Srirangapatna-Sira highway.Historically, Nagamangala came into prominence during the rule of Hoysala King Vishnuvardhana when it became an important center of Vaishnava faith and received patronage from one of his queens, Bommaladevi. During the rule of Veera Ballala II, Nagamangala prospered as an agrahara (place of Hindu religious studies) and had the honorific Vira Ballala Chaturvedi Bhattaratnakara. The temple is protected as a monument of national importance by the Archaeological Survey of India.

Visit to Nagamangala where there is an ancient Trikutachala temple built in Hoysala style where main deity is Sowmyakeshava and other two deities are Krishna flanked by Rukmini & Sathyabama and Lakshminarasimha. The inside of temple has many beautifully carved pillars and roof. In the main roof there are carvings of Shanku, chakra and on the centre a divine Naga is carved surrounding the shanku, the head portion is treated as Rahu and tail portion Kethu. There are Naga idle made of Saligram Shila and Adishesha idol for which Pooja is offered to dispel Nagadosha. People also offer Pooja for Rahu and Kethu.
Because of presence of Nagamandala the town derived its name as Nagamandala which in time became Nagamangala

The Saumya Keshava temple is situated in the town of Nagamangala, Mandya district. The temple is three shrined (trikutachala), has a garbhagriha (sanctum), and a vestibule (antarala) that connects the sanctum to a closed mantapa (inner hall, navaranga) which opens into a large pillared gathering hall (mahamantapa).
The Saumya Keshava Temple was built by the Hoysala kings in the 12th century. During the Veer Ballala II, Nagramangala flourished as an agrahara, a place for Hindu religious studies.

There's something about this temple.

Photography is not allowed inside the sanctum.
Outside is very nice to click pictures and sit for sometime peacefully like it is meant to be.
They offer prasada(holy food) as well.
Tap and toilet is outside the temple.
Although there is a well inside the temple premises, water is not portable.

The Chandramuleshwaraya Temple, also known as Ishvara Temple, is an ancient Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva in Arasikere town of Karnataka. It was built in the 12th century by the Hoysala dynasty and is known for its complex and unique architecture. The temple has a 16-pointed star-shaped hall and an asymmetrical star-shaped shrine, both decorated with intricate carvings and sculptures. The temple also has a tower with a water pot on top and a vestibule with a bull statue.
If you want to visit the temple, you can find more details and book your trip online.

The Chandramouleswara/ Ishvara temple, also referred to as the Ishwara or Isvara temple, is an early 13th-century Hindu temple in Arsikere. It is 60km from Belur. There are 3 Shiva lingam there, one of them is one of the most beautiful I have seen.
The Ishvara temple was constructed using soapstone. It is modest in size, yet with a sophisticated architecture because of its ground plan: a 16-point star-shaped mantapa (hall) and a stellate shrine with each corner distinct

Sharath BS — Google review
This Ishwara Temple which is perhaps the most complicated of all Hoysala Temples in terms of architecture. Surrounded by manicured green lawns, you know it is special the moment you catch sight of the mukhamantapa (open hall) which is shaped like a 16 pointed star and is capped with a hollow dome and it deviates from the norms of Hoysala Architecture. It has one entrance and the inside of the parapet wall provides a seating bench. The plan makes it an ideal place for an intimate gathering or for an afternoon siesta. The east facing temple is of the ekakuta type (one sanctum) and has two halls, one open and one closed. The entrance to the temple is also unusually placed and is at the bay connecting the two halls. Though there are no clear records of when the temple was built and by whom, historians date it to around 1220 AD and the temple is well preserved today. The sanctum houses a linga and a vestibule connects it to the closed hall which has an elaborately decorated ceiling with figures from mythology. The panels of Ashtadikpalakas and Dashavatara are worth mentioning. The closed hall too has a stellate plan and is complicated in design. There is a symmetrically stellate tower atop the sanctum, again a very complicated plan because the points of the star are not identical but are a combination of three different kinds of star points! This left me spell-bound as it is difficult to execute such a complicated plan with such artistry and hence it testifies the brilliance of Hoysala Temple Architecture. Unfortunately, the Hoysala symbol of Sala slaying a lion which usually sits atop the nose of the shrine is replaced with an ugly looking bull. The complicated plan of the tower gives the entire shrine an intricate appearance. The outer walls are covered with beautiful images chiselled uniformly. There are sculptures of both Shiva and Vishnu even though the temple is dedicated to Shiva. There is also a rectangular pillared hall next the main shrine, in line with it. It houses half-a-dozen lingas and is definitely a later addition. It was founded by the Hoysalas and its name is derived from ‘arsiya kere’ which means queen’s lake referring to the large man-made lake on the outskirts of the town.
Joshi Cochin — Google review
Nice temple. But you are not even greeted with a proper board. Has all the traits of a typical Hoysala temple and is a peaceful place for one to appreciate the beauty of the art.
Nitin Mohan — Google review
Superb. But it seems before archeological dept. restored it, anti-social elements 🤫 had damaged the temple and deliberately/fanatically destroyed the faces of stone carved idols.
V 181 — Google review
The details of stone carvings on exterior walls of this temple are mesmerizing and divinely beautiful on interior walls and pillars.
Polygonal Mantapa here is a unique one among all ancient temples in the state and the country.
Shri Chandramouleshwara Swamy resides at the main shrine.
Shri Veereshwara and Shri Bakkeshwara temple on side of main temple is slightly simpler but still amazing. Sitting on stone sofas here relieves all stresses.
Nitya Pooja rituals are going on here in a nice manner.

An excellent place and a historic heritage spot. The area of fort is large, hilly and beautiful. The view from the top most point is breath taking. steps are not easy to take. Remember to carry an umbrella or a hat with you while visiting this monument…Overall it was an amazing experience🤩🌅

During summer, recommended to visit in the early hours
At the entrance, you can hire a good guide who will explain the history -- highly recommended.
You will have to pay entry fee of rs20 per person. This has been made online by scanning a QR code and then filling the form.
There are guards who will assist you in this.
Cafeteria is available inside for snacks and cooling off the heat with cold water or juice or butter milk 🥛

Amazing place. Can spend a whole day here if you are interested in exploring each and every bit of the cave.
Most places have a brief information board next to it. Having a guide is subjective. He will tell you a few more points and significances which isn't there at the display board. Climbing to the top of the rock is not a very easy task, can go at your own risk. View from top is amazing!
Entry ticket ₹25 can be purchased at entry gates.
Place is clean and we'll maintained.

Photography lovers will love this place. Adding some pics below.
It's marvelous to see how they build the walls with such big rocks, which are aligned beautifully. It has some 7 big doors kinda entry.
I guess, the place looks more beautiful in a cloudy day than a rainy one.. we can spend 2-3 hours here and definitely a good walking exercise 😀
It gets crowded after 10-11 AM. Suggest to enter in the morning..
parking is free on the roadside..
There are some local vendors if need any snacks or drinks. Mayura would be the only option if need a proper meals..
Overall great experience.

Chitradurga Fort is an architectural marvel that encapsulates centuries of history. The intricate design, featuring seven concentric walls and integrated natural rock formations, reflects the strategic brilliance of its builders. The massive boulders not only contribute to its defense but also lend a unique aesthetic. A must-visit for history enthusiasts and those seeking to marvel at ingenious fortress architecture. Loved the early climb up the fort! Opens at 6am and best time to go up is early morning. Vast fort, numerous temples and walkways. If ASI can have audio guides at disposal- would be fantastic. Can make a day visit! Definitely a must visit. It is a archaeological Marvel, we cannot imagine how our ancestors have built this fortress without the access of now-a-day's modern advanced equipment. The walls are huge and powerful. There are couple of temples dedicated to different gods and goddesses. From the top of the hill we could see the part Chitradurga district.

Beautiful fort maintained normally but efforts should be taken to make it far better. The way to fort is so narrow to reach and parking is small. Weekdays are mostly free while comparing to weekends it’s almost little crowded. You can opt for guide with multilingual skills and may charge you around 200-1000 it’s not a fixed one as the trust has not taken any actions. It takes approximately 1-4hours to explore the entire fort, it’s vastly spread with more details. Best for students to explore and experience the old civilisation. There are proper dustbins placed in all places where we can keep the fort near and clean. Also fresh refrigerated water dispenser in most places and toilet facilities for both genders. A must visit place for people who wants to explore new places and learn history of India.

1. Must visit place if visiting to chitradurga.
2. You need to buy ticket online at entrance. Carry u'r government Id or remember the ID number. It's needed while purchasing ticket online. Ticket cost = Rs. 20.
3. Wear good gripped shoes & comfortable cloth because it may take 1 day to cover the allowed places in Fort.
4. Don't go on the top of hill if you're not confident.
5. Carry snacks & water & please don't litter & save the Fort.
6. The Fort is well maintained but only thing is people do littering and it affects the overall heritage. Dustbins are provided at every step please use that.
7. There is a great story for every temple, cave, etc. inside the Fort. It's written there. Please read it at it's important to know the history as well.
8. There are few toilets inside. There are water filters installed at several places. But the water is not good. So please carry your own water bottles.

Don't follow crowd if you want to see every bit of it.
Maps have been given in every corner it is a great help if you want to see all of it. Carry water as much as possible. Even though there is one shop inside better to carry water.
If you want to see every bit of it avoid guide , they are only going through few important and near by ruins ( don't if if it is because of the preference of travelers still most of the places are not covered by tourist)

The architectural rendering of the fortification is known for its massive walls encircling the palace with majestic guarded gateways, magazines, water and oil storage tanks, bastions at regular intervals.
There are numerous watchtowers on top of the hills.
The fort is majestic, well preserved and well maintained.
Must visit place especially during winter.

Loved the early climb up the fort! Opens at 6am and best time to go up is early morning. Vast fort, numerous temples and walkways. If ASI can have audio guides at disposal- would be fantastic. Can make a day visit! Definitely a must visit.

A historical fort located within the city. Well maintained and has information at prominent places to explain the history of the place. Guides are also available if you want to dig deeper into the history of this fort. I visited in Nov and if was cool and breezy even at 11 AM. Good for photography lovers. A small refreshment shop is available inside the fort (not a big one. Kind of petti shop). One would need at least 2 hrs to visit this fort fully. Involves lot of walking as it's a very big fort.

It's an ancient hoysala architecture marvel with beautiful sculptures all around the temple. Temple has a single deity, a combination of Shiva and Vishnu. The intricate and amazing sculptures on the roof and the stone pillars are a standout. It's an heritage site which needs proper maintenance from the local civic bodies, so that it can attract more visitors. One can easily spend couple of hrs appreciating the amazing sculpture work and knowing the piece of history.

We are gone there at the raining time and it was one of the best experience to see the sculpture of this temple and it takes too much time to watch entire sculpture.
In this temple there is 2 god's that is lord Shiva & lord Vishnu which means Hari-Hara. Hari means Vishnu & Hara means Shiva, this is the speciality of this temple. And this is the only place having both half Shiva & half Vishnu.
There is a lot of history about this temple....

Harihareswara temple an ancient architectural marvel is one of oldest Hoysala Temples in Karnataka.
The Harihareshwara Temple at Harihar in Davangere district, Karnataka state, India, was built in c. 1223–1224 CE by Polalva, a commander and minister of the Hoysala Empire King Vira Narasimha II. In 1268 CE, Soma, a commander of King Narasimha III of the same dynasty made some additions. The temple houses the deity Harihara, a fusion of the Hindu Gods Mohini and Shiva. The image of the deity is a fusion of the right vertical half of Shiva and left vertical half of Female Vishnu. The image holds in its right hand, the attributes of Shiva and in the left hand, those of Vishnu.
The temple is constructed in a staggered square mandapa plan, typical of Hoysala constructions. Therefore, the outer wall of the mandapa shows many projections and recesses. The wall of the mandapa is a parapet wall resting on which are half pillars that support the outer ends of the roof. The ceiling of the open mandapa is adorned with artistic decoration such as lotuses. The ceiling is supported by full lathe turned (circular or bell-shaped) pillars which were sometimes further carved with deep fluting and moulded with decorative motifs. The pillars are well polished. The stone used for the temple is soapstone. The original Gopura over the shrine is missing and has been replaced in modern times with one of brick and mortar. Several ancient inscriptions in stones are preserved within the temple premises.
Hoysala architecture is the building style in Hindu Temple architecture developed under the rule of the Hoysala Empire between the 11th and 14th centuries, in the region known today as Karnataka. Large and small temples built during this era remain as examples of the Hoysala architectural style

The Harihareshwara Temple, Karnataka, built in 1223-1224 by Polava. Lord Vishnu and Shiva together took the form of Harihara, came down to earth & killed the demon (Guha).
A Beautiful Staggered square plan of open mantapa (hall) at the temple in Hoysala architectural style.
Harihareshwara temple, Karnataka. There used to live a demon here called Guhasura who had a boon due to which he couldn't be killed by neither Hari (Vishnu) nor Hara(Shiva). So, both together came as one HariHara and killed the demon. The main deity idol has Shaivaite features

Ancient Hindu temple dedicated to HariHara, Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu combined. The statue is very beautiful, intricately carved, exhibiting the craftsmanship of our ancestors. The pillars are amazingly symmetric. One can see Chalukya and Hoysala architecture. It's under the Karnataka Government now.

Personally, my family and I liked this temple a lot. It's 1500 years old, hoysala architecture. I am amazed how technologically advanced Indians were at that time. I can't think how you cut perfect cylindrical pillars and with all those circular design patterns out of a stone.
The main deity of part Shiva and Vishnu looked very divine and mesmerizing. I was initially skeptical while travelling through the narrow, congested, and dirty road leading to the temple. I travelled on a weekday in the evening expecting less crowd, but it was a bit crowded . But it was worth my time and effort.

A temple devoted to Lord Harihara who is part Vishnu and part Shiva, located in the small town of Harihar. The place also gets its name from the temple.
The temple is around 1500 years old and built by the Hoysala kings, reflecting their beautiful architecture. The temple complex is now maintained by the Archaeological Survey of India and run by the state government. Not much famous and one must visit to enjoy the ancient architecture as well as pray to the Lord.
The place is well maintained.
We visited on a Saturday and it wasn't crowded. There are other small temples inside the complex. The priests perform aarti and also narrate the story if you request them.
River Tungabhadra flows beside the temple.
The temple is almost a kilometre away from the railway station/bus stand and you get autos from the temple as well. Not enough parking space.

Great Temple. Amazing sculptures. Must visit. A very enthralling Hoysala style temple with every pillar being unique and lathe turned. Very intricate stone work, especially in the roof. You will be spellbound by the beauty of this temple. Do you don’t feel like coming out.
There are toilets towards the walk way to the river, but the path way is pathetic. The soundings of the temple are not maintained well, not commensurate with the great temple. We need to clear out 200 ft around the temple and create a garden which will multiply the value and beauty of this temple

**Harihareshwara Temple: Where Divinity and History Unite**
Nestled in Harihar, Karnataka, the Harihareshwara Temple, built around 1223–1224 CE by Polalva and later adorned by Soma in 1268 CE, is more than just a shrine; it's a legacy. The abode of Harihara, the divine fusion of Vishnu and Shiva, is an embodiment of spiritual harmony. The image, seamlessly merging Shiva's right attributes with Vishnu's left, encapsulates the divine union.
The temple's sacred aura not only echoes with centuries-old stories but also resonates with the aspirations of devotees, believed to be fulfilled by the temple's divine energy. As a fellow resident of this land, the temple isn't merely a monument; it's an intrinsic part of our shared cultural heritage, where history, faith, and devotion intertwine seamlessly.

Jog Falls, the second highest waterfall in India, has varying water flow from a trickle to a torrent during monsoon season. However, 70% of the area is currently under renovation with construction going on in most parts. Despite this, visitors can park close to the entrance as main parking areas are dusty due to ongoing work. There is minimal sound pollution allowing for peaceful visits. Renovations are expected to be completed within three years with significant changes made.

Great fall, but not so gorgeous in the dry season. You have to see it in the rainy season. Lots of contraction going on , the viewing place will be great in about 2 years. Brand new observation decks. But to see it you have to also go across to the ministries guest houses. The place is open a short walk to see the falls close up and from a different angle. You also drive over the river that ends on the falls. From this side you will also see the top of the falls. Any way , worth the windy road ride from the ocean side. If you coming from the interior , windy road still. While at the observation deck. Trak a little further, you will see the Dam project a little down stream from the falls.

Dabbe Falls is a beautiful waterfall located in the midst of lush green forests and surrounded by a picturesque, private vegetable farm. However, visitors need to obtain permission from the Kargal Forest Department office before visiting as illegal entry is strictly prohibited. During monsoon season, getting down to the falls can be challenging and requires walking for 10 minutes through paddy fields followed by descent at a steep angle using ropes.
Great place!! Love the waterfalls and the trek was fine. Just 30 min down and 30min up. A little bit intense if you are not used too, but totally recommend.
You need to ask for permission in advance at the forest office in korgel, is 400 rupies a person.

An amazing place with a trek to be accomplished before reaching out to the falls. The trek is quite challenging for first timers since it is slippery and with deep descent. We needed rope to descend but fit, athletic and experienced ppl can also do without rope. You'll have to take permission from the forest department before getting to the falls and there's an entry fee of 250 i believe. There's a house at the starting point of the trek and they'll help you with the rope and any basic needs. In monsoon water level would be quite high and would be dangerous to get into the water.
Overall it's a marvelous and thrilling place to visit.

One of the best place for adventurers. Has to walk 2-3 km in forest to get there. Near the falls there is a single home where you should enter ur name and get rope for further progress downhill from that home. Only those who are physically fit should try this as at some places downhill one has to manage steep cliffs. And at the end the view worth all the effort u put in there.

It's place in a very nice place.. you will feel as if you are lost in jungle, but after a very challenging trek, you find a splendid view worth remember lifetime.. be aware of Leach..

One of the most difficult trekking... But once you reach falls, you feel like you are in heaven... You can enjoy a lot in water fall
But u should follow forest rules:
U should take permission from forest department, it will be like 250rs per head
Should not throw any plastic items
Should not make any audio or video records
U should come back before 6pm
Remember: google maps will show some other place as dabbe falls... So be careful before starting your journey
It will be better, if u search village name of dabbe falls by checking it on google
If you are one among who loves trekking and water falls... Then it is meant for you
The pic i posted is the view in between trekking

An ancient temple which is a treat to your eyes. Banavasi is known to be there oldest town in Karnataka and the Madhukeshwara temple is a gem in whole of Karnataka.
The temple is open throught out the day and doesn't close during noon hours. Ample car parking is available at a nominal charge. It wasn't crowded when I visited on a Sunday noon.
Refreshing pineapple slices are sold outside the temple which is a must have. It was tender and sweet. And quite affordable.

Amazing tourist place, must watch for each Hindu. Clean and well maintained temple is built by many kings in phasewise manner in last 12 centuries. The temple doesn't charge you for entry. Moreover, they don't unnecessarily prohibit you from taking photos inside temple. Pujari from the temple itself guide you for some nominal dakshina.

The temple's intricate carvings and sculptures are a testament to the skilled craftsmanship of ancient times. The temple's peaceful surroundings and the serene river nearby add to its charm and make it an ideal place for spiritual contemplation. The temple's staff is friendly and knowledgeable.
Banavasi was the ancient capital of the Kannada empire Kadamba that ruled all of modern-day Karnataka state. They were the first native empire to bring Kannada and Karnataka to prominence. Banavasi has many other places of historical significance worth exploring. Overall, a great place to visit for anyone interested in spirituality and history.

I visited banavasi for this very temple alone. Was fascinated by the history of banavasi, and this temple is a key component of that history. As old temples go, this temple is relatively small. The main road leading towards the temple is huge and makes it easy to visualise the surroundings when it was built in the 9th century. The inside of the temple has retained that 1000 year feel and grand you. The Shiva Linga is unique, and the stone slab on which the idol is placed caught my fascination... Is extremely modern-artly. The other idols are quite old worldly as well. Very beautiful carvings on all the walls. It is an absolute must do for temple and old world structure lovers. Go visit it.

Always wanted to visit our Kannadiga's known first dynasty capital place from long time and blessed to witness more than 1800 years old temple.
It was first established by early kadamba rules and later kadamba , chalukya and most recently Vijayanagr-Sode family kings have developmed this temple.
Even after 18-19 centuries from its first construction temple still stands good and carvings, pullers are so fascinating to watch.
Lord Mahadev is medication guru and this temple this one of the made suited for very uniue Madhukeshwara (Honey colored lingha)
Temle premises makes an absolute bliss 😍👌
Note:
Temple is little inside small town Banavasi so doesn't expect high values restaurants . But there are small shops to quench hunger thirst.

Unchalli Waterfalls is a breathtaking sight, located on a stepped cliffside and accessible by a moderately difficult 5-km hike. The falls are spread out beautifully and there are four view points along the way. The total number of steps to reach the last viewpoint is around 400 and there are walkways in some parts. A rainbow can be seen alongside the falls if you're lucky. The waterfall is well maintained with rest points available every now and then.
Spectacular falls after a long walk..4 view points..Around a total of 400 steps until the last view point, has both steps & walk way..Worth the effort.. We were fortunate to view a Rainbow alongside the falls. Must visit and surely recommend this place to family and friends

Unchalli Falls isn't just a waterfall; it's a symphony of nature played out on a grand scale. From the moment you arrive, a sense of wonder takes hold. The knowledge that this majestic cascade plunges over 50+ meters is enough to set your heart racing with anticipation.
The journey itself becomes part of the experience. Leaving the car park behind, you embark on a roughly 500-meter descent. The anticipation builds with every step as the lush greenery thickens and the distant rumble of the falls grows louder. It's a sensory awakening, a prelude to the awe-inspiring spectacle that awaits.
Then, as you break through the final stretch of foliage, the sight of Unchalli Falls takes your breath away. The sheer power of the cascading water is mesmerizing. The mist hangs heavy in the air, carrying the sound of the falls like a constant, rhythmic melody. It's a symphony for the soul, a moment of pure, unadulterated beauty.
Be warned, the trek back is no walk in the park. The return path, a steep climb, will test your legs. But even this challenge becomes a badge of honor, a testament to the beauty you've witnessed.

Unchalli Falls is a popular destination for nature lovers and adventure enthusiasts alike. What makes this waterfall truly special is the way River Aghanashini gracefully drops 116 meters, creating a magnificent cascade of water that is simply breathtaking.
There are two ways to experience the magic of Unchalli Falls. You can either admire it from the viewing deck, where you can take in the panoramic view and capture some stunning photographs. But if you're feeling a bit more adventurous, you can also hike down the steps and get up close and personal with the foot of the waterfalls. Trust me, the feeling of standing so close to the majestic force of nature is absolutely exhilarating!
If you're planning a visit, I highly recommend going after the monsoon season. This is when Unchalli Falls is at its most spectacular, with the water gushing down with immense power and creating a mesmerizing display of nature's might. It's truly a sight that will make your heart skip a beat!

A surreal and awesome place to visit when in Sirsi. It has a decent amount of water even in peak summer. However the walk especially to the third view point is quite daunting right from the parking spot.

Its a feast to nature lovers. The waterfall is a splendour and great to watch. We have to walk for about a mile to reach the view point. There is no way to reach the base of waterfall as it is too deep. Coming back to the parking place is really crazy here. Those who are having health issues are not advised to go down as they may have difficulties in climbing back

This waterfall is a must visit when you are around sagara. From the entry point, you need to walk for 400 meters and the first view can be spotted. The dive center is THE BEST amongst the ones I have visited so far. You must be wondering this what everyone says for every dive centre but here are the reasons why this one is unique and the best.
1. The staff welcomes you and make one feel at home. This in turn helps in making connections outside of diving and not just going on dives.
2. There are many dive sites around Netrani and it takes one a lot of dives around that area to know the ins and outs of the place. Instructors are really enthusiastic about giving guest the best dive experience possible under water.
3. From my experience you’d enjoy the dive if you feel taken care of (also learn neat tricks and tips from experienced divers to improve yourself). The instructors are really accommodating for one’s needs whether I was doing a course or just a fun dive I never felt left out and felt really safe for myself and all the dive buddies diving in the group.
I would highly recommend staying for a weekend or more and experience the best nethrani (the best site accessible from mainland India) has to offer with West Coast adventures.
P.S. a lot of fake reviews are there as I have seen you can definitely ignore them.

I was struck by the peaceful atmosphere of the temple, despite the large number of visitors. The temple's location on the coast is also a highlight, offering stunning views of the Arabian Sea. Inside, there's a gigantic statue of Lord Shiva that looks out over the ocean. It's so huge that it's hard to believe. The temple is always kept super clean, and it feels really peaceful inside, like a special place for quiet thoughts.
The best part is that the temple is right next to the beach. So, you can watch the sunset over the sea while hearing the temple's soothing songs. It's like a dream!
I would tell all my friends to visit Murdeshwar Temple because it's a place where you can feel calm, see amazing art, and enjoy the beauty of the ocean all at once. It's like a magical adventure!

The calm ambience of the temple combined with the regular prayers chanting offers a setting that is ideal for reflection and spiritual rejuvenation. Murudeshwar Temple delivers an amazing experience immersed in divinity and calm, whether one finds comfort in prayer or just marvels at the architectural wonders.

It was a great overall experience. You get the serenity of temple as well as amazing views. There is a huge gopuram at the entry of temple. It is not only majestic but is also fitted with a lift which offers bird eyes view of the locality and the statue. Although the tickets are priced nominally, it takes a lot of patience to get on a lift. There are only two lifts available and only 7-8 members are allowed at a time. Be sure to reach at least an hour before it closes, closes by 7pm if I recall right.
Post this you can proceed to the statue and museum area. The way to reach there is outside the temple. You will have to step out of temple area and proceed from left hand side.

WOW!! Absolutely WOW!!
The tall statue of Lord Shiva sits in tranquility and it is a surreal feeling as you enter the temple itself. The beach on one side and this place of worship on the other takes you away from your daily strains and peace fills your mind and thoughts completely.
It is something one must definitely experience.
The beach is just a quick walk from the temple itself. And the grandeur of the statue and the gopuram only hits you once you see it from the beach, at a distance. The sea was itself in a great swell because of all the rain and it only added to the feelings that were evoked being there.
Anyone going through the Western ghats must definitely visit this place simply to unwind after all the trekking.

One of the lovely beaches i can say. Yu have an ample beach side shopping and food stalls whicu touches to the shores
Noon time yu can feel the water touching while eating at the food stalls. Water level rises somuch. And during evgs it goes back drastically upto 100m backwards frm the stalls. 💃 Please remove the awkward statue near the glass galary. Why do you want to keep a sculputure which shows woman flying skirt, showing bare legs 🦵.. What some one need to learn from it? Which part of our rural or ancient culture does it depict?
Rest of the garden was amazing. The best part is the crew. They are so good. They take personal care. Our guide [young lady] was very kind and considerate. She was managing multiple groups yet always showed up when we needed her.
Elderly people, [ whi has walking issues] may get tired soon. A lot to walk there. Check wheather forecast if it is going to rain. There are many people visit this place.. but in some place no shulter if it starts raining heavily.
Overall good. I only did not like an awkward statue near glass gallery. I wish it is removed immediatly and replaced with some pleasant sculpture.
Parking is not a problem.
Rest room were resonably clean and they were plenty.
Good canteen and good food.
Evening snacks was amazing.
Girmit, bhujji and coffee was good.

It has arts and sculptures which is to be enjoyed by an older audience and the water and adventure games satisfy the younger kids. The one complaint is that the children's games were not maintained properly and some structures like the swings were falling apart. Overall though this is a very tourist friendly place and I highly recommend it.

Shri Marikamba Temple in Sirsi is an ancient Hindu temple renowned for its stunning Kaavi murals. Erected in 1688, it reveres the goddess Durga and draws an enormous crowd of devotees during its biennial fair held in March. The fair is one of Karnataka's most significant events. The temple is open from 6 am to 9 pm daily, with Tuesdays and Fridays being ideal times to visit.
Easily, the most synonymous of the landmarks with the town of Sirsi.
The huge temple looks very pleasing to the eyes with those red murals, of Konkani architecture, adorning on the white background of the walls.
The current day building was built in the late 17th century. The temple courtyard can hold hundreds of pilgrims at given point in time.
The town of Sirsi is one of the cultural and heritage centres of Karnataka and this temple is the centre stone of the town.

Shree Marikamba Devi is a very powerful Goddess of Sirsi🙏🏻
You can experience the powerful positive vibes here.
The architecture and paintings of the temple is unique and graceful.
As per the people,In ancient days bull was offered to Devi at the time of Sirsi Fair as per the ancient customs. Once Devi was not ready to come to her place of fair called 'Gadduge' , Bhagavan Shreedhar Swamiji came into this place , the devotees prayed to calm down Devi , So Swamiji Sprayed the Teertha and Devi beacame calm and she came to her Gadduge' easily after that process.

An awe-inspiring gem of history and spirituality, the Marikamba Temple in Sirsi, built in 1688, exudes an irresistible aura of devotion and culture. The captivating idol of Devi Marikamba, resembling her presence in the very room, leaves one speechless. While cameras remain stilled by the sanctity within, the temple's grandeur and intricate wall art create an experience beyond words. As I wandered through its ancient corridors, I couldn't help but feel the weight of time and tradition. The temple's significance stretches far beyond its breathtaking architecture; it was here that the buffalo sacrifices ceased thanks to Mahatma Gandhi's intervention, marking a turning point in our culture. The biannual Jatra, attended by countless devotees, underscores its importance as a spiritual epicenter. The contrast of the modern exterior against the timeless interior adds to its mystique, a subtle reminder of the passage of time. To experience this haven of divinity, secure your puja tickets in advance, for the temple buzzes with life within. And as you exit, don't forget to embrace the tradition of not looking back after praying in the smaller adjoining temple. A visit to Sirsi remains incomplete without paying homage to this sacred sanctuary that encapsulates centuries of reverence and transformation.

Sirsi Marikamba Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Marikamba Devi ( Durga Devi ), located in Sirsi, Karnataka, It is also known as Marigudi, It was built in 1688, Sirsi Shri Marikamba Devi is "elder sister" of all Marikamba Devi's in Karnataka. The temple's façade, a 19th-century addition, is painted blue. After one enters through the façade, there is courtyard in the middle, which has cloisters surrounding it. The cloisters are filled with images of deities from the Hindu epics. The changes made inside the temple have hidden any evidence of older structures. The sanctum sanctorum has the central image of a fierce form of the goddess Durga, multi-armed (eight shoulders[6]), riding a tiger and killing a demon. It is believed[by whom?] that the 7-foot-tall (2.1 m) image was retrieved from a pond on the road to Hangal. The temple has very special paintings of murals in Kaavi art, an art form which was popular in the coastal Konkan region of Karnataka. In this art form, now extinct, the top plastered layer of the mural was first dyed with a red pigment, which when removed revealed a lower white layer of plaster over which the murals were created. The main priest at the temple belongs to the carpenter, or Vishvakarma, caste.[6][8] Mahatma Gandhi visited Sirsi in 1934 but he refused to visit the temple, as animal sacrifice was a prevalent ancient practice at the temple; the sacrifice was in the form of offering of he-buffalo as a sacrifice to appease the goddess.[6] A he-buffalo was specially bred for offering as a sacrifice to the deity during the biennial Rathayatra. Following the protest by Gandhi, there was a social movement in the town to abolish animal sacrifice, this movement was spearheaded by Keshwain, chief trustee of the temple, in association with Vitthal Rao Hodike, a teacher and dedicated Gandhian of the town. objectives of this movement were fulfilled.[The Sirsi Marikamba jaatre (chariot procession) of the deity is held every alternate year in the month of March and taken through the town. It is attended by a very large number of devotees. It is also most famous and biggest fair (jaatre) of the South India. Devotees from all around the state participate in this enormous event indulging themselves in the procession. Amusements for children, circuses, variety of shops, dramas and plays and many such things are set up for the people. It depicts the story of the goddess killing mahishasura.

I recently visited the Sirsi Marikamba Devi Temple in the serene town of Sirsi, Uttra Kannada, Karnataka, and I was captivated by the profound spiritual ambiance that enveloped the temple grounds. Nestled amidst lush greenery, the temple's architecture is a testament to rich cultural heritage, adorned with intricate carvings and vibrant colors.
The sanctity of the temple is palpable, providing a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The priests' devotion is evident as they conduct rituals with utmost sincerity, adding to the overall spiritual experience. The deity, Goddess Marikamba, exudes a divine presence that left me feeling a deep sense of peace and connection.
The temple complex is well-maintained, and the surrounding natural beauty enhances the overall visit. It's a perfect blend of religious significance and scenic beauty. I recommend visiting during festivals when the temple comes alive with vibrant celebrations, offering a glimpse into the local culture and traditions.

If I could give one feedback that would be not to use animals for the sake of activities and entertainment. Bullock cart and camel rides are used by villagers since they don't have alternatives, using them here would not be fair in my opinion.

The experience was quite nice. It's a good getaway for those living in South Karnataka, but those in North Karnataka might feel this to be a very mediocre thing. The overall ambience, atmosphere and rural setting was amazing, but the food was very forgettable. During Summers, eating should be a pleasant affair, but it turned out to be tiring. Also, the rain dance arena could have been a little more closer and better with areas dedicated for kids, women and men separately. The music for the rain dance was also not very kid-friendly. Music played at such loud volume could cause some serious damage to little kids who just want to enjoy a little dance in the rain-like atmosphere. Rest, there's a lot of scope to improve the environment.

Sahasralinga is a Hindu temple located near Sirsi, known for its intricate carvings of Nandi bulls and hundreds of Shiva Lingas. The site serves as a pilgrimage destination for followers of the religion and features a hanging bridge that adds to its allure. Visitors should exercise caution when swimming due to the presence of whirlpools, but can also enjoy natural fish spas in the cool surrounding waters.
This is a Hindu religious place of attraction as well as worship. The significance of this place is the numerous stone lingas are placed over flowing water along with Nandis as well. History says this was done by the local king to please God for getting children. There are stairs leading to the water and there is a priest who offers Pooja as well.
The place also has a hanging bridge adjacent which connects to the other side and people to walk over. The hanging bridge gives a different view as well to the water flow as well as this magnificent place.
Coming to the location, well connected by good road (when we visited), and there is a parking fee of ₹20. Ample parking space. There is a small shop serving tea/coffee and light snacks, however, not maintained well and not clean.
Overall a must visit in this area and totally worth it.

A river with all the Shiva Lingas makes it mesmerizing to view. There is a nearby hanging bridge which has an amazing view of the river as well.
Place does get crowded on weekends. People come and cook food there to enjoy it as a picnic. But please don't pollute the place and throw waste here because it's detrimental to the surroundings and the river.
There is ample parking at the point but even then at times it gets full but you can park a little early if the near parking is full.
Overall an amazing place and worth visiting.

This calm , serene and divine place in the Shalmali river is a hidden winder near Sirsi. Hundreds of Shivalingas carved on the river bed rock make it look like a mysterious place. Surrounding forest, mountain and flowing river enhance the serenity of this place. Be careful around the slippery rocks and don't venture into the water when levels are high.
You can get a free fish spa in the river water 😁 respect the spiritual and religious significance of this place and keep it clean and calm.

Very beautiful place
Be aware of monkeys
Also there is hanging bridge which add more beauty in place

We have been visiting this place from a long time, this place was very much beautiful which was given by Mother Nature. Now the crowd makes it more filthy in this area.
Place when less water can see Linga and Nandi on almost all rocks.
The new hanging bridge also added beauty to this place.
Parking fees is collected but they should control people making this place dirty.
Small hotel where you get few snacks and beverages in this place. Avoid public holiday time this place would be crowded.
Request to visitors is to avoid dirtying the parking or the river.

The place is natural , beautiful river flow ,because of high waterlevel we couldn't see all lingas. Only thing hurts is the spot is famous lot of tourist people visit, but no proper facilities for people.

Sahastra means 1000 in Sanskrit. The place is known to have 1000 Shivling.Sahastralinga is a pilgrimage place, located around 14 km from the Sirsi Taluk in the district of Uttara Kannada of Karnataka state in India. It is in the river Shalmala and is famous for being the location where around a thousand lingas are carved on rocks in the river and on its banks.Sahastralingeshwara temple located near sirsi and is situated on the banks of the river shalmala, where a thousand lingas are found. The story goes like: After Kurukshetra war, Krishna suggests Pandavas to get "Pushpa Mruga" to hold Rajasooryadwara Yaga. Bheema dashed to "Mahendragiri" to fetch it. On the way he meets Hanuman taking rest, which is stretched on his way. Bheema finds it difficult to cross the tail of Hanuman and requests to remove the tail. Hanuman asks Bheema to lift tail but he struggles and fails.Later both realised that both are divine powers. Hanuman learns the purpose of Bheem's journey and offers him hair from his tail for the protection. Bheem, after reaching Mahendragiri meets pushpamruga and it agrees on a condition that it would follow him only a "manovega"-speed at which mind moves. Bheem agrees trusting the tail hair. While leading the animal, whenever Bheem finds he cannot keep the pace with the animal, he drops a hair. Strangely a "Shivalinga" appears just on the spot and Pushpamruga proceeds only after worshipping the linga. This gives Bheem sufficient time to adjust his speed. When they reach the place called "Uppinangady", Bheem finds difficult and drops remaining one thousand tail hair. A thousand lingas appear and by the time animal completes worship, Bheem safely reaches Yagamantap. Thus it is believed that a thousand Lingas are found in the temple vicinity. One out of those Lingas found in the middle of the river sand becomes visible in the month of February.
The lingas in Uppinangady are under the river and are naturally formed, not carved. The Shiva Lingas were built under the patronage of Sadashivarayavarma, king of the Sirsi kingdom (1678-1718). It is also possible to see many Nandi (vehicle of lord Shiva) which are carved in front of the Shivalingas.[1]Linga is a symbol of worship of the Hindu God, Shiva. On the auspicious day of Mahashivaratri thousands of pilgrims visit Sahastralinga to offer their prayers to Shiva

Visited during sankranti festival. It was very crowded yet the place is very popular & very devotional with thousands of lingas on the stones in the banks of river shalmala. Also hanging bridge is major tourist attraction here. Since it was too much crowded we did not take bath in the river. Overall it was good experience

A lots of Shivlings are there in the middle of the rivers. It seems like many lingas were flowen down in flow of water current and some are still there. It is a sacred place for Hindus. In the water you can feel the biting of fish its a free fish massage.

Very beautiful place near Sirsi but is been deteriorated by visitors. The river is said to have 1000 Shiva Lingas. The lingas are visible when the waters are low. One can walk through the river near any lingas. The place is made highly filthy where tourists have dropped their belongings like clothes, toothpastes, and other wastes.

Sahasralinga is situated 15 kms from Sirsi on the Sirsi Yellapur road.
This tranquil place is situated amid Shalmala River valley. This site is a a Hindu religious place with hundreds of "Shivalingas" carved out of rocks in the middle of river Shalmala. Thousands 9f people offer their Pooja here during Shivarathri. The place is thankfully cleanly maintained.
Ample parking place with a fee of Rs 30/- available close to the river bank.
A few steps takes you to the river. Steps are somewhat small and please watch your steps. Also, beware of monkeys.
Water appears to be calm but exercise due caution when venturing into the water at unknown places.
There is a small canteen selling tea and snacks. Just next to the canteen a small road leads you to a hanging bridge, which adds to the charm of place.
30 minutes to one hour is the recommended time in this place.

Requested for Kalyanotsava in this temple and was organised and performed beautifully. All rituals followed and explained during the pooja. Temple is pristine and brings you peace.
Note: The stay and bathroom facilities are not very convenient. It would be better if separate rooms with attached bath are provided. Since we went in morning and returned in evening, it wasn't a problem. But if you plan to stay, better to stay in Sirsi and come here next day.

The Sri Manjuguni Venkataramana Temple, nestled 26 kilometers away from Sirsi en route to Kumta, stands as a symbol of spirituality shrouded in mist during the winter months, earning its name "Manjuguni." Locals fondly refer to it as the "Thirupathi of Karnataka," likening it to the renowned shrine in Andhra Pradesh, owing to its temple dedicated to Lord Venkataramana and Goddess Padmavathi.
Perched by a pond (Pushkarani) at its entrance, this temple embodies ancient religious practices and spiritual wisdom, echoing the rich cultural legacy of the region. The temple complex, echoing Vijayanagar architecture, is steeped in history, with intricately carved pillars and vibrant depictions of the Ramayana. The presiding deity, Lord Venkataramana, holds an arrow and bow, symbolizing assurance and protection for devotees, while Goddess Padmavathi graces the temple on the right.
Legend has it that Lord Venkataramana, akin to his visits to various sacred places, sought rest in Manjuguni during a hunting expedition, substantiating the temple's existence. The Navaranga hall is adorned with figures of gods and goddesses, showcasing the temple's architectural brilliance guided by Saint Vadiraja.
The temple draws newlyweds, offering prayers for blessed offspring, harkening back to the lore of Lord Venkataramana granting good character children. The annual "Manjuguni Rathothsava" festival, a grand event, attracts thousands of pilgrims from across India to offer their devotion to the divine couple.
To reach this spiritual haven, a journey of 28 kilometers from Sirsi or 35 kilometers from Kumta on the Sirsi-Kumta State Highway is all that is required, with convenient direct buses from Sirsi and the nearest railheads being Kumta and Hubli, each about 130 kilometers away. For a more immersive experience, a stay in Sirsi or Kumta is recommended, allowing visitors to fully embrace the spiritual aura of Manjuguni.

One of the most beautiful places I've ever seen.
Truly a wonder that this place exists.
The journey to this place is itself so scenic and beautiful that it takes you on a joyride through the coconut plantations and the hills. The roads too are in pretty good condition making it lovable to drive, even a rented scooter!
I was in for a surprise when I first saw the mountain with the black rocks. Must visit once in your life.

Yana is an adventure of itself , i would recommend people to go with their friends or families to have a good time . Seeing the rocks itself amazes you , the treking part is better , you find a temple beneath the rocks. Totally recommend.

We went to Yana Rock Caves during the month of April. It is almost a km to the top and with a 40 degree average elevation for climbing. Good trekking/hiking shoes are recommended, slippers are a bad idea. There is a temple in the bottom area of the caves. Things to carry with you before you go ahead with the climb during April and subsequent months: 2 L water bottle, light cotton clothes, good grip shoes.
Best months to visit: Not April, May. Everything is dry and heat is real hurtful..

Lovely experience of rock formation. It is so huge and experiencing it that near makes it one of the most memorable moments in the trip. Although you might have to be ready for a short hiking trip as it is literally in the forest. Monkeys are there and lagoons and they will torture you if any you feed any food to them. Please be careful not to feed any wild animals there. No network will be available. Be ready with cash for refreshments with some extra cost.

Amazing place to trek in forest area, it's difficult for aged people. The moment you see the beautiful and elegant rocks don't remember how difficult it was to trek all the way. Worth visiting the place.
Plastics are banned here and they collect deposits for each bottle carried, a good initiative to prevent plastics. Sarcastic part is they have allowed shops to sell water condiments etc close to the temple and rock where visitor eats and throw plastics/garabe wherever they feel.

Visited Yana rocks on long weekend. One of the popular place to visit in Sirsi, Karnataka. It has 2 ways to reach at yana rocks parking from Sirsi. If you go through Devimane ghat, then you will see Yana Caves board on right side, then approx 16km you need to reach parking. But by this route, you have to walk more with some ascent and steps- approx 25-30 minutes to reach at the top. So, avoid this route if you don't want hike, you can go by another way from Sirsi, you will reach directly to top side parking. From there 10 min descending walk to reach the rock. Nice place to visit once. These are 2 massive rocks called Bhairaveshwara Shikhara and Mohini Shikhara as per history. There is a temple in which self manifasted Linga over which water drips from the roof. Place is surrounded by jungle, best time to visit post monsoon or during monsoon when rain is less.

Yana caves offer a thrilling adventure, perfect for a memorable outing with friends and family. The mesmerizing rock formations leave you in awe, and the trekking experience is truly rewarding. Don't miss the fascinating temple hidden beneath the rocks. For a well-rounded visit, opt for the south entrance to explore the temple and caves, while the north entrance leads to Vibhuti Falls and more caves, as they are not interconnected. A must-visit destination for nature and adventure enthusiasts!

I recently visited Yana caves during the last week of March. The weather was quite hot. There are two routes to reach the caves: one from the Mirjan side and the other from Sirsi. We chose the Mirjan route, which involved a 1.5 km walk. It's advisable to carry cash since there's no network and all tickets require cash payment. The main cave entry is through the temple, where you need to purchase another ticket, each priced at 10 rupees. Additionally, if you want to carry a bottle, you have to pay a deposit of 50 rupees.

It is approx 50km from gokarna main beach. We left at 0700 hrs and reached the falls at 0830 hrs. The falls open at 0800 hrs. A sweet guard welcomed us. The entry fee is 10 inr. There are enough places to eat breakfast and a major Meal. There is a walk from the main gate, approx 10-15 mins. It's a steep walk , there are enough places to rest, incase you feel like sitting. the major portion of the steps is made with help of existing roots of trees. Their is a lifeguard on duty at the falls and he does not allow people to trek up to the source of the water fall. There are life jackets for rent, 50 INR. The water was cold, despite the heat. There is a changing room as well and you can easily spend one hour. Water is crystal clear and can be even used for drinking. Their are a lot of inquisitive fish who would try coming to inspect the dead skin of your feet, don't shy away. Their was no garbage, and is kept very well. If you are planning to further go to Yana caves/ or the fort, go to their and then come to the waterfall, as it will be better to sweat out and then jump into the water. The fall shuts at 1700 hrs.

Take Sirsi route and cover vibhooti and Yana caves together...

Beautiful waterfall after a small hike of around 1 Km, with disruption in signals. Enjoy the place and please keep it clean.

Sathoddi Falls

Waterfalls
Picturesque destination featuring a natural waterfall around 50 ft. tall & cool pools of water.
Beautiful, scenic and mesmerising waterfalls. One of the must visit waterfalls in Karnataka. Swimming is allowed and should be very careful while walking around because of the slippery stones. The roads to reach here are very horrible but worth the visit. Parking, refreshments and washroom are available. Visitors entry closes at 5pm

The most beautiful and amazing waterfall karnataka have... And really appreciate the efforts by government to make a approach road till the falls . Yet some patch in between is really headque while driving..
But special trail made from parking to main fall is good... 50 rs parking fees for cars and 10rs entry fees they took.. from parking to main fall it's almost 1 to 1.5 km.. but all the hard time in travel paid off when witness the fall...
💚💙

One of the best places to visit near dandeli. The drive up to the falls parking lot is great. It's a scenic route with views of the Kali river. Once you get in, there is a kilometre long walkway to get to the falls. It's will be more beautiful in mansoon. In summer water levels are low and we were able to get close to the water fall. It is one of the best experiences to stand next to the fall in the sun. The place is well maintained, so please don't disregard rules and take packed food and water bottles. Even if you do please carry plastic waste back.

A Hidden Gem,Amazing falls to enjoy and view, but the access road is huge pain. You need to trek for around 1.5km to reach the place from where you can park the vehicle. U can’t go to near in rainy season.Summer is the best time to visit the place.

Falls are always a nice place to visit.
But one must be careful.
To go near falls , there are a lot of rocks to be crossed and cos of summer , water was also very less as compared to what I had seen in my school days.
After u take the ticket , one must walk few metres to enter to the falls spot.
Be careful while crossing the rocks.. it's slippery....

I can say this falls is the safe & best in Karnataka to enjoy with friends & family. Located 25kms away from Yellapur. You need to make hell lot of hardwork to drive through this stretch! Roads are in pathetic condition, infact there is no road apart from the first & last few kms. If you are driving a SUV it's manageable, but hatches & sedans have to struggle!! But it's worth the pain. There is parking place, washrooms, snacks & refreshments. You need to walk for a km to reach the place. The falls is gushing admist the lush green forest. Very serene. And you can get into water. Not too tip and not that risky.Be careful with your belongings as monkeys are waiting for the right opportunity. Good to spend 2 to 3 hrs here. I request tourism development authority to take care of the roads.

This place is located 30 km from Yallapur. The first 5 km to Sathodi is really good then the last 25 km is absolutely off-road and it takes around 1 hr to drive from Yallapur. The entry ticket is just 10 rupees per head and no parking charges. There's a 1 km walk to gain access to the waterfalls. People can get into the falls for playing in water. The falls is open from 8 am to 5 pm

weekend during monsoons is bit bad idea to go but nevertheless good spot for a dip in the water and viewing waterfalls. preferably 2 wheelers is easy but any car can make it to the parking space.
avoid during sundays due to huge crowd movement in and out of waterfalls throughout the day.

Went on Diwali holiday, No crowd. Must watch waterfall. It is safe for kids also.
Few stretches of road is not good, remaining road is concrete one and takes more time because of single road and lots of too much up and down road.
Carry a stick on way to water falls from parking (1km walk way which is good, 10 min) to protect your baggage from monkeys.
There is canteen at the entrance where they provide fresh and tasty Tea, coffee and Noodles at reasonable prices.
No mobile signals.
Dress change room is there.

Sathoddi Falls is a stunning natural wonder in Karnataka, India. The cascading water surrounded by lush greenery creates a picturesque setting, perfect for nature lovers and adventure seekers. The trek to reach the falls adds to the excitement. Just be prepared for a bit of a rough road to get there, but the beauty of the falls makes it worth the journey. Don't forget your camera for some breathtaking photos!

Breath taking waterfalls, must visit place near Sirsi, little bit tuff to climb rocks and go near , we managed to climb few and see falls from mayb 200mts away as we had small kids. From gate to falls neat and flat walkway with full of trees, but danger is the monkeys which come chasing , it’s so scary better be in group with sticks.
Forest dept should home up with innovative idea to help visitors reach the nearest spot to falls easily via a zip line or bridge. This falls is unique and there is lot of scope to improvise it as a famous tourist spot .

Beautiful falls. It's absolutely refreshing. The falls close at 5pm, so plan accordingly.
It's a km walk from the parking and 200 mts through the rocks but worth all the effort

Its really an amazing place but the only problem is poor road condition ahead from ganesh gudi... Avoid visiting during rainy season as it would be very difficult to return back.. Visit at any time b/w 9am to 4pm during sunny days
