Compact 13th-century castle with a crenelated tower & a small museum, overlooking the town & harbor.
Castillo del Ray is a 13th Century castle overlooking San Vincente de la Barquera's town and harbour. The monument is spectacular for the audacity of its engineering on such difficult terrain. It is not ornately appointed but it is but it is spacious, with stairwells and parapets for defence that offer terrific views of the harbour it once stood guard over. Also, it provides scope for a child's mind to run rampant. Castillo del Ray ticks all the boxes for an intact, bijou medieval castle. Well worth the modest entrance fee.

This castle is nice, a good place to visit in San Vicente de la Barquera.

Another monument that doesn't stick to it's own opening hours. Closed at 6.40 pm when it says it is open till 8pm from April. If I wait till 11am tomorrow, how do I know it will be open then ?
The short walk beyond to the church and town walls Is well worth it.
D?vid Tweedie — Google review
Beautiful castle with amazing views around the bay of San Vicente de la barquera. Inside you can see a hugh canon. When you go upstairs you can walk around and enjoy the views and take nice pictures. At the end there is a church you can visit too. Inside the central hall there is a 3D maquete of the castle and town.
Jelle DC — Google review
Great walk from the town center to the castle. Awesome views and the cathedral is up there too. You can see the whole robes and the town from there. Peaceful and beautiful. A must see if you are in San Vicente de la Barquera. There sometimes a few expositions of local artist in the near museum. Usually free entrance.

Charming castle, well preserved and maintained. Enter only 2€. There is historical exhibition of castle and region upstairs and photo gallery downstairs and audiovisual room with short film. Everything looks good, but there are no English signs and boards, the film has no subtitles, so if you don't know Spanish you miss a lot. Such a pity. Seemed very interesting. I'd really like to come back here and learn more. That would be definitely 5 stars.

A small but perfectly placed castle only 2€ entry not a place for mobility challenged visitors some superb models showing how the town used to look and some amazing views from the castle battlements
Becareful siesta is 2 - and 5;30pm and the castle closes

Cueva El Soplao is a natural cave with a fascinating history of mining activity for zinc and lead. Discovered in 1908, it features an array of stunning formations such as stalagmites, stalactites, columns, and eccentric structures. The name "El Soplao" originates from a mining term related to the sensation of air when drilling tunnels with less oxygen.
Nice place, beautiful cave nice panoramic view outside. Reservations acquired in summer. You enter the cave by train, then there is a walk with a guide who does the explanation about the cave, how they discovered it,etc... Arrived in the morning and could only buy tickets for the afternoon. But worth it, very beautiful inside especially with the lights
Jelle DC — Google review
Small and strange roads that take you there, but the view is incredible and the cave also. Prebook tickets online, one day before seems enough in June. Excursions only in spanish, but our guide at least tried to translate everything for us. Nice building, a simple restaurant, big parking lot.
Aldur Soosalu — Google review
Fantastic cave, enormous and beautiful. Wear long sleeve, it's +13,5 Celsius down there.
Anton Pikalov — Google review
Excellent tour with a very expert guide who was also quite funny, inserting jokes here and there. What an entertaining tour! The caves are absolutely stunning. You're not allowed to take any pictures there for obvious reasons. Then there's a pleasant train ride that takes you inside and back. The surrounding areas are stunning too. What a great visit!
Sandra (Vikingsandra) — Google review
The cave is beautiful for the quality of the stalagmites and tights. It’s a long tour for between 2.5 hours and 3. No English explanation at all so even though I know the guides were giving lengthy explanations that I’m sure were amazing…myself and a couple of others in the group were left standing for lengthy periods learning nothing. I have to warn you, some sections of the cave were difficult… climbing through passages and corners, bending over through some passages on a wet floor. One guide hurried us a lot and made a point of embarrassing us in front of the group because we were too slow. He set a cracking pace so it made it challenging and we felt uncomfortable and a bit unwelcome. If you have problems with your knees think twice. Juan… you are a knowledgeable guide but please have some more patience with your clients. The other guide was completely charming.
lisa pearce — Google review
One of the amazing place I have ever visited. The cave is full of mysteries and very worth visiting. The one thing you need to remember is that take a warm jacket as is it cold inside the cave. Also you need to book a entry in advance to secure you entrance. Better if you can reach earlier so you can have a walk around and see wonderful view around. Negative part is there is no public transportation to reach there.
Sonam — Google review
Very interesting caves and rock formations in an old mine. Well presented with little train to take you down into mine. Great views over the mountains. Good cafe and shop. Fairly easy to get to off A8 motorway.
David Pritchett — Google review
English language totally ignored, even safety instructions and all guided trip was only in Spanish. Also No possibility to take photos in all the cave..? Why? Even one gallery would be enough to remember.. Otherwise worth to visit- all workers were really friendly and views fr the restaurant amazing.
Andrius Smar — Google review
If was great, but your not allowed to take photos inside the cave, a bit disappointing that.
Gareth Williams — Google review
I would have loved some understanding or better manners when we asked if it was possible to advance our tickets (if spots were free in other groups). It would have been awesome to get an earlier slot and therefore free ours to be sold again to someone else. Lack of vision.
Also, photography is not allowed in the cave
Why? I guess they want u to buy postcards or something. Because I see no problem in allowing photos with no flash
JMA — Google review
Very beautiful cave. Good tour guide.
Cian O Mahony — Google review
Nice cave. Tourguide seems knowledgeable, but only speaks Spanish. The cave has well maintained paths and should be accessible to all visitors. Some dramatic audio and light elements have been added to the tour which is not completely necessary, just as the theme park train into the cave (still, could be fun for children). It's recommended to follow the visitor information on the website to find your route to the cave, as Google maps lead us over a track unsuitable for most cars rather than a road.
The overall experience could be very much improved by offering an informative flyer, audio guide, or even a few English tours each day. The folder handed out to us did not contain much information, just the kind of things you'd expect at a tourist information (i.e., address information, opening hours, some general information)

Really interesting permanent 4-floor exhibition about the Beato manuscripts (with English pamphlet). Plus fantastic 360-degree views from the top and an incredible (rare?) opportunity to see an exhibition of about 70 of Dali’s sketches of Dante’s Divine Comedy. Great value for 3Euros.
Ruth McBain — Google review
If you are visiting Potes you should visit this place.
It's right next to the tourist center where you get some information and maps so there is no excuse.
For a small price you'll be able to check this 6 floor museum and the cherry on top (pun intended) you have a 360 view of the whole town and Picos da Europa
Filipe Barroso — Google review
Fantastic museum for the price. The basement had an exhibition of 70 Dali watercolours depicting Dante’s inferno. Astonishing.
Will McBain — Google review
Just at the top you can find a nice shot for your photos, but inside there is not something to enjoy that much...
Visiting the top but is offered.
Farzad Hosseini (Feri) — Google review
I would say this is an ideal visit if you have time to kill, or you have kids with you who understand Spanish.
It's not as high quality of an exhibit as you'd expect when you initially walk in, but the view from the top did provide a good photo opportunity!
A Guevara — Google review
Very interesting building, great views from the roof. Several of the exhibits on Beato de Liebanas did not work. All the signage in spanish only. Felt it was a wasted opportunity to tell the story. Plenty of parking next to bus station if you get there before 11am.

.
Spectacular inside and out
It's clearly the main monument in Potes, standing out above the cute little houses packed in tiny streets.
Inside comes as a shock, because it has been restored and turned into a very modernist museum, all glass and steel.
Attractive, mind you.
The exhibitions are strikingly presented, worth visiting just for the visual impact. But the creme de la creme is the very top floor, where you go outside and walk around the battlements, getting a 360 degree view of the town and beautiful countryside. Cameras and smartphones ready!
Look down from the top to spot which bar/restaurant you're going to sit in and have lunch.
TIP 1: Large carpark on the S side of town - but packed on Saturdays for market day
TIP 2: There are good lavatories in the tower.

Located on the breakwater of the port in Llanes, Spain, Los Cubos de la Memoria is a striking art installation by sculptor Agustin Ibarrola. These massive concrete blocks are adorned with vibrant colors and designs that change with the tide and light, creating an ever-evolving mosaic. Considered one of Spain's most significant public art pieces, this landmark offers a unique blend of artistic expression and coastal protection.
Great idea and beautiful view of the town
Olga S — Google review
Nice scenery and some nice artwork on the cubic wave breakers. The artwork on the cubes of the outer open waters have started to fade away, but the ones in the bay are still relatively well maintained. Honestly nothing much to see other than the cubes. But there is a nice backdrop of the main cliffs of the mainland shores toward the end of this breakwater.
Lionel — Google review
The town of Llanes sports the Cubos de la Memoria to protect its harbor from the open ocean. They reminded us of piles of bright presents in 2008 when they were apparently covered in fresher paint. Llanes offers a stopover along the Camino de Santiago del Norte or "por la Costa" along the north coast of Spain.

Playa de Poo is a stunning coastal area that boasts a vast sandy expanse with tranquil, shallow waters sheltered by forested headlands. It is an excellent destination for families as the beach is ideal for children and non-swimmers due to its shallow depth. However, visitors must take note of the tide schedule online before making any plans because during low tide, the beach tends to be wider but full of algae. The parking fee charges 4 euros per day.
A divine poo, makes me want to discover a new piece of it as we only saw a fraction of what trap 1s special has to offer. Had a sit on the poo before we buried ourselves in it and went for a swim in the poo water. Ponga Poo is a lovely stinker and would make Dave Baker proud. He'd love to get drunk on poo and slip a baby one down to pass on the poo legacy. What a smelly man.

We walked here from Llanes after reading reviews.
We went by the cliff path but returned via the road - much better.
In English, Poo isn't great, but Poo Bay is superb!👍
Highly recommended for a great day out.
We arrived at low tide, but that wat still good, the waves gave us great fun, and the water was soooo warm😀
After about 2 hours, the tide turned, and we enjoyed the larger waves coming in.
Later in the afternoon, we had a sidra cider at the beach bar, and it was great👌
A superb day out from Llanes👌

Very sheltered from any wind, beautiful little cove, a bit out of the way so not crowded, well at least on 21st April
Linda Pearce — Google review
The place is amazing but make sure to check online when the tide is high. If you go when it's low the beach will be wide and full of algae. The parking is with payment of 4 euros for the full day.
Chifan Radu — Google review
Beautiful beach, ideal for children and non swimmers as it is very shallow. Superb restaurants as well.

Beautiful blue sea, sea goes pretty far out so lots of sandy area & rock pools/small caves to explore. We went in October & were almost the only ones there. Pleasant walk from Llanes to get there.
Ella Copeland — Google review
Great little beach. Went at the end of July expecting it to be crowded but there was plenty of space. When the tide is out there's a big expanse of wet sand that is great for very young children.
We had a really great experience. First thing I would say is whatever you do buy your ticket in advance if it is during a busy season. We went at the end of August. There were very long queues to buy tickets. The time slots don’t seem to make any difference at the end of the day. We booked for 9am and arrived before 9am. We joined the same queue as everyone else and nobody checked the time on our ticket. Get there early! The queue did get a lot longer after we joined it. We really enjoyed the fact that going early we were lucky to experience the whole area in low cloud. It made for some amazing photos! We hiked the Torre De Los Horcados Rojos trail (PR-PNPE-23) which was about 9km. Starting early it was not so hot and there were few people on the trail. We got to appreciate the views from afar with the low cloud over the mountains. We made the mistake of taking too many layers with us. It felt cold queuing for the cable car at the bottom so we assumed it would be colder at the top. Actually when the sun came out it was very hot so we ended up wearing shorts and a t-shirt and carrying our jeans, fleases and anoraks in our backpack. There are lovely views on that trail which is well maintained. We stopped for lunch at the junction to Refugio Cabana Veronica before continuing on to a lovely viewpoint. After the hike we walked an extra couple of kilometres or so to look at the Heidi house from afar. We returned to where we took the cable car back down. The clouds had cleared to see a spectacular view of the mountains which had been in the clouds in the morning. It was far busier at nearly 5pm with a lot of people who just took the cable car up and spent time near the cable car. The mountains are superb near the cafeteria but I would say it is worth it just to walk the trail around the corner to see some other great views near the Heidi house which are not very far away. This day trip surpassed our expectations!
Muldr4Scly — Google review
We went in June and arrived around mid day and there were no queues, but even if there are queues I'd highly recommend this experience! Return tickets are €17. There is a restaurant at the ticket office with a sunny outdoor seating area.
It might be advisable to take a jacket with, as the weather below might be warm and sunny, but on top of the mountain it's freezing cold and it was windy. Also, if you suffer at all with vertigo, I would not suggest this trip. The cablecar is small, and does sway a bit.
We really enjoyed the walk about the top and the views of the mountains and valleys is just spectacular.
The only tiny irritation was the tinted glass of the cable car. All the photos taken had this green blue tinge. But it isn't something to complain about.
Lee-Anne Curtis-Cox — Google review
Well worth the trip. The views and the scenery are stunning. The cable cars hold 20 people, run every 5 minutes and you are allocated a time slot on the way up. It's very well organised and managed. You can spend as long as you want at the top. We went for a long walk and the scenery and the landscape were spectacular. We saw vultures soaring above us. It was a hot sunny day. We had a drink in the visitor centre and sat on the balcony before coming back down. We didn't have to queue for very long. I think our experience could have been very different had it been the height of the tourist season.
Diane Mc — Google review
We were there late September mid week so no queues. We'll worth the view Cable car 17euros each. Good cheap restaurant at the top.
Jacqui Higgins — Google review
Massive cable car directly up the mountain cliff face. Not for people afraid of heights. Make sure you get there within the ticket time window
Henry Bowesman — Google review
It was an amazing experience!! We were lucky to go up with no lines at all because it was on a Tuesday. The views at the top are breathtaking and the trails lead to amazing places. The price of the teleferico is 17€ up and down.
Clara Youdale-Pinelli — Google review
Well that was fun. The cablecar is incredible. But really the hiking at the top is awesome. Up to 17 euro for round trip. Half that if you walk down. Free if you walk up both ways! But then you won't get to ride the cable car. 800 meters up so it's a long walk either way.
Rose and Mike Farmer — Google review
Incredible and so vastly and beautiful. Totally worth 17€ per person (in 2023). Have a quite experience. The parking is free. The food up there is simple but very good and the service is super nice. Thanks.
Gian Corazza — Google review
Impressive hoist up to the clouds and the picos de Europa park. Rides every 5 minutes and looks well mantained. Endless walks on the top and comfy cafes on both sides. Welk worth the price.
Diego Barraza — Google review
Great views from the top. Then a nice 3-4 hr hike to the hotel and back.
Late season (mid-October) so no wait and no need to buy tickets in advance.
Victor Trac — Google review
Not for those with a nervous disposition!! Only 4 minutes to the top, fantastic views that made the ride worthwhile. The clouds drop suddenly and lift just as quick. Thought we wouldn't be able to see the views, but clouds lifted and it was wonderful. There's a metal viewing platform that juts out over the edge... only for the brave!
Yvonne Morris — Google review
Reasonable price €35 for family ticket up. Walked down. It's a beautiful place. Track isn't very wild, it's managed but plenty of wildlife to see. Golden Eagles, vultures, lizards, and other birds.
Easy walking for the most part. You can follow the track all the way, which makes it easy to walk all the way. Steep if you are headed up, obviously.
Lovely views all round. The final part is in the forest.
3 hours for descent.
4 mins cable car ascent.
Buy tickets in advance.
Free car park.
Melanie Pring — Google review
Top tip - book your ticket online in advance. We didn’t and arrived at 11am to find the next availability wasn’t until 1pm.
It’s also quite confusing - there’s a queue when you arrive, but that’s people waiting for their booked time slot, the ticket office is on the side of the main building. When you have your ticket and get close to your time, then you join the queue that begins near the gate and snakes round behind the little wooden hut until the gate monitor starts letting people in EXACTLY on the half hour!!
Anyway. €11 one way / €17 return.
Lots of queueing and it’s a 4minute ride 😂.
Stunning though and worth both the time and the money. We rode up and walked 14km back down - it was beautiful.
Plenty of free parking by the cable car terminal at the bottom. We were in a motorhome so were too tall to get into the car park, however, if you continue up the hill past the car park there are spaces along the road where buses / vans park with no trouble.

€20 adult return and € for a dog. Dogs must travel in a crate and whilst we had our own it looks like you can borrow one. The walks at the top are spectacular with a decent variety of trails.

Playa de Torimbia is a picturesque crescent-shaped beach that attracts nudists due to its secluded location, clear turquoise water and white sand. Tucked away in Asturias, it's one of the most hidden and beautiful beaches with lush greenery encompassing high hills around it. It's important to note that most visitors prefer to sunbathe naked.
Absolutely stunning beach and views… the waves, caves and a tiny island around the beach
Points to note:
1) accessible by private transport only. From the Parking point it’s a private 10-15 minutes descent to the beach which is partly VERY steep
2) there is only one restaurant by the beach which has good options of food and beverages
3) it’s a “clothes optional” beach. So most of the people you see around are FULLY naked. So that’s something to be considered if visiting with kids or your comfort
Overall if you do not mind the descent and climb, it’s an amazing beach and all the effort is worth it

Beautiful beach with nice walk down. We parked in the town due to hight restriction signs and no motorhome signs. Vans were parked up there so I think signs only applied to proper motorhomes and not van conversions. A long walk up the hill and then back down from the town.
Waters a bit rough for swimming.
Large beach to walk around on.
People in swimming costumes and people naked share the beach.

Has to be one of the most beautiful beaches in the area!
The sinkhole beach Playa de Gulpiyuri is situated beneath rocky hills and is renowned for its rustic atmosphere and small size. Though it may attract a lot of public attention, it's considered a must-see tourist spot. The emergence of a petite beach amidst the dunes gives way to active tides and waves that cannot be seen from the shore. The place holds an air of magic when one gets the opportunity to have solitude on this beautiful beach in early September.
Beautiful interesting beach and views. You might have to pay €2.50 to park your car

Magic place if you have the chance to be alone. It happens in early September and then you can even bath when the tide is high.
Anyhow this is a spectacular place that the sea power has designed and filled with smooth sand for a real pleasure of the eyes.

Known as the shortest beach in the world, this is a nice spot to stop by. It can get crowded and it is indeed a small beach but it is very unique due to the fact that there is a channel in the cliff that allows seawater to reach this beach which is basically a sinkhole. Behind the beach you will have some nice views of the cliffs and there is free parking available there.

I think we just chose a bad moment to go, because we were not even able to put our feet in the water. It's cute and small, but many people are coming, and I am sure it's a better idea to visit in the evening or early morning.
Parking cost 2,5€.

Unusual to see an onshore beach, but that's all it has... Then it's quite small and tends to be crowded. With low tide there's barely no water so go with high tide.
Martin Ochoa — Google review
Don't believe the hype! It is yes maybe one of the smallest beach in the world, but not a reason why to see it. It has nothing special, and a LOT of people are just stopping by, quick photo for Instagram or so, then go. To park there "legally" will set you up €2.50.. but many are parking illegally, i guess an Instagram post is not worth that. Don't waste your time. (And no, no photos. i actually purposely didn't take photo just to not feed the hype.

It's a wonderful place, the water gets into the rocks and it makes a tiny beach. However, it's so tiny and there are so many tourist that it's not worth it to visit more than just to have a look and leave. Definitely it's not the place to spend a day to sunbathe.

At low tide and high season it is a crowded puddle but is probably much nicer in better conditions
The Lakes of Covadonga are a serene natural area with two glacial lakes and picturesque hiking trails. Located in the municipality of Cangas de Onis, these lakes hold cultural significance, with the larger lake, Enol, containing a submerged image of the Lady of Covadonga that is brought out for a procession every 8th of September.
Un sitio digno de visitar, un palizon considerable pero merece la pena, esas vistas son impresionantes.
Breathtaking views, a lot of walking but its worth the effort, perfect place to relax and spend time before going to a restaurant. Totally worth it!

Tranquil lakes surrounded by green mountain tops! Sense of peace and quiet can be felt in the fresh air. Worth the trip. There is a limit on the number of vehicles that can be parked at the parking, which also imposes limitation on the number of people. So one needs to be prepared to just drive back if no space for parking is available. We went there during the weekday and there were barely any people. I can imagine this place being full during the high summer season.

Impressive beautiful area with two lakes. We took the Alsa bus up to the lakes it was all very easy and took about 45 minutes from the barriers to the drop-off area at the top of the mountain. There, you are greeted by a tourist guide who advises about the path and what to expect. There is a museum above the parking lot, which is well worth seeing. At the museum, it explains the flora and fauna of the area. Besides the smaller lake, there is a cafetiere, and if you just feel peckish, ask for the cheese platter it's lovely and not expensive at €10.00. The lakes are beautiful, but the scenery is stark and dramatic as it's a very harsh climate and not much grows there. If nothing else, it's a lovely hike, although I would not relish doing it in pelting rain or wind.

One of the most beautiful places we've been to in Spain. Breathtaking view and the walk was not too difficult. Definitely worth it.
Mai D — Google review
The lakes and walks are quite good, nice views of the mountains and glacier lakes. Better signage of the tracks would make the experience better. What lowered the stars was the transport. Starting in Cangas de Onis the booking at the office was easy and friendly, we caught the 0800 bus which was busy as expected for Easter Weekend, but the return was a nightmare. We were booked on the 1250, as they are using the public car park you think signs would be out showing where each bus picks up passengers and what time. But ‘no’ people were rushing across the car park, then when buses turned up people started pushing to get there bus number, some even tried getting on that had later times which added to the issue. We have travelled on public transport all over the world from Thailand, Germany to Japan and this was the worst organised we have ever experienced. There were some very annoyed people, and appears quite a few had 1250pm tickets but our bus had no seats left.

It is truly an amazing place worth visiting! I went with a friend and we bought the bus ticket online as during summer the entrance is prohibited feom the morning until night to normal vehicles and thank God because the road is very very narrow with moments of no visibility due to the fog, so bare in mind that if you are planning to visit. The hike is an easy one and you can find a small restaurant with snacks and sandwiches at one of the lakes and they accept card/money. The day we went we couldn’t see one of the lakes because it was really foggy and as anything in nature, you just need to be lucky.
Claudia Baptista — Google review
It was truly beautiful and easily walkable (a 3km loop)
Very very touristy even on a day with bad weather. Bus ride up was a little scary in the fog and wet but the bus drivers were very skilled

When you go to Lagos de Covadonga, you have to take the Alsa bus, you cannot drive there in your own car. The best choice is to park you car at P3 or P4, and take the bus from one of them to save some time. You can visit the Basílica de Santa María la Real de Covadonga separately with your own car.
Victor Ginzburg — Google review
Private car cannot reach the lake directly. There are 4 parking plots, we parked the 3rd plot, then took the shuttle bus to the lake. The return ticket for adults is 9€, and for kids under 12 years old is 3.5€. The bus comes every 15 mins, and from Parking#3 to the terminal station of lake is around 30 minutes. We spent 1.5 hours walking along the two lakes. I think normally 1.5 hours to 2.5 hours is enough, depends on how you want to hike around. We were so rush because we booked the cable car tickets to the top at 4pm. We really enjoyed the half day here today. 🥰🥰🥰

Sanctuary of Covadonga is a picturesque pilgrimage destination in the highlands of Asturias, featuring a chapel inside a cave with a lake underneath. It is located in Cangas de Onis, where visitors can also explore the historic Roman bridge over the Sella River and enjoy the town's exquisite cuisine. The sanctuary is surrounded by natural jewels, including two glacial lakes where an image of the Lady of Covadonga is submerged.
Go see the Basilica when the weather isn't too nice. It's nice and quiet and we sat for close to two hours and watched the breathtaking view of this pink church in front of the green hills.... Amazing.

Lovely views from the sanctuary and Basilica. The sanctuary was crowded with a queue to access it but interesting to see. Not exactly a peaceful experience and must be much worse in the summer season. Lots of toilets around and the hotel on site has a cafeteria and a lovely restaurant. You can park on the way out of season if you are lucky with spaces or stop on the way and take a bus up which would be very necessary in high season.

Very beautiful place in the full peaks of Europe (so called because they were the first mountains that sailors saw when they returned from America in the past). Place of pilgrimage where according to popular tradition the Santina appeared, highly venerated in Asturias. Tomb of Don Pelayo, the first Hispanic monarch to begin the union of the kingdom. There is a hotel, parking and small shops. There is a beautiful walking route from Cangas de Onis.

Beautiful church. They had mass at the little chapel carved on the rock side. Pretty unique atmosphere. Very touristy but worth a visit if you’re in the area. You can walk from the parking lots in the valley below in Covadonga, however there is no pavement for pedestrians. There is a hiking path but it goes in and out of the main road. The other option is to take the bus. €9 round trip from the parking areas 1-2-3-4.

Visually stunning however very very busy with coaches and tourists. There is a que and one way system to see the sanctuary. We visited midweek in September and we could just about park at behind the museum down a very steep slope. Parking here seems to all be free.

Beautiful place to visit. There is the sanctuary located in a cave and a Basilica in the area. Both are walking distance of each other.

Good price for about 15 km of canoeing and a picnic with 🥪 and water, unfortunately the staff was not that good at English and that was a little hard for one that does not speak a lot of Spanish. The Jurassic Museum of Asturias is a fascinating destination that offers a glimpse into the prehistoric world, particularly the 'Age of Dinosaurs'. Located in the scenic region of northern Spain, this museum showcases an impressive collection of dinosaur bones and fossils discovered in the surrounding areas. Visitors can explore exhibits featuring giant diplodocus skeletons and learn about the rich paleontological history of Asturias.
Expected it to be a kid's experience, but it is a beautiful museum and well designed and laid out. Wheelchair accessible, a fun gift shop, free entry on wednesdays but you do have to get a ticket with a time slot at the entrance and plentiful free parking. We enjoyed our visit!

A very good plan to spend a day or a few hours with children.
If the weather is good, even better.
The first thing that catches your attention about this centre is its garden with replicas of dinosaurs. My children loved it. And you do not have to pay to visit the garding!
The Jurassic Museum of Asturias is located in the area of Rasa de San Telmo near the parish of Llastres in the municipality of Colunga.
This museum was inaugurated in 2004 and is shaped like a tridactyl dinosaur footprint. In its facilities, which overlook the Cantabrian Sea, we find one of the most complete displays in the world about these gigantic animals. It is “time” that guides the itinerary of this center, which shows how life on Earth developed. It covers from its origin to the appearance of man, although it stops, naturally, in the three periods of the Dinosaur Era: Triassic, Jurassic and Cretaceous. Each of them corresponds to the three fingers of the great footprint that the architecture of the building draws.

Excellent museum & general park perched on a hill top overlooking the bay. The exhibits were fantastic and quite a lot of the signage had an English translation. Well worth a visit. Just further along the coast there's a footpath that takes you to some real, on the beach, prehistoric stones with large dinasour footprints...

What a surprise to learn what a treasure trove of Jurassic artifacts MUJA has. I hadn't realized that Spain's Costa Verde is also called the Dinosaur Coast. The extensive exhibitions are well presented and give a thorough picture of the Jurassic period in this part of the world. This is a really nice beach. It's long, it's wide. There's plenty of space and only few international visitors. It's fun place, a safe place with lots of families.
The beach itself is very nice, but also the woods backing the beach is a nice area for people who prefers some cool shade and some quiet.
There is plenty of free parking all along the way, but keep in mind that in high season they still fill up fast!
There's a bunch of restaurants to fill your hungry stomach. Also bathroom / shower facilities. And then the part we liked best: A nice boardwalk all along the beach. It goes on for miles. Dogs are also allowed on there. Perfect for folks who need some walks like us. Loved it.

The museum here is simply superb. The staff are incredibly friendly, helpful and full of knowledge as you slowly make your way through the very well presented building, its contents and history.
We had a full guide of the machinery, the cider making process and the various exhibits, including a cider pouring and tasting session that is unique to the Asturias region.
At the time of this post, cost is 5 euro per person; exceptional value! Car/Van parking is in front of the building. There is also a well stocked gift shop and toilets.
We stumbled across this museum by chance, however, put this place as a 'must visit' stop, it's truly worth it if you are in anyway interested in how this special region produces its 'one of a kind' cider. 5 stars +

Not only they close about 4 hrs at midday but but if get a tour bus ahead of you you will have to wait more time to get in for a quite short visit. A guided visit can be a marvellous experience of learning about producing the traditional drink of Asturias region- cider, starting old times till nowadays. You can take active part in the tour, even playing a game of throwing coins and pretending of being a bartender who is pouring cider in a glass in a traditional way. And tasting cider from a big barrel is a must.

Interesting overview of the different times that cider was made. From 800 till now, and more industrialized since the 1950's. And the cultural aspects of any harvesting festival. At the end you fill your own glass with cider and keep the bottle above your head and the glass in your other hand as low as possible. This ask for some practice.

A very beautiful cave to visit! We booked the more expensive tour for 18 euros which began at 920am. It was nice because there were like <15 of us with a guide who took us through the cave first in darkness then they switched on the lights. I highly recommend it although the guide was speaking in Spanish but we had a friend who helped to translate it for us.
The cave is quite large, with several Chambers to see. I highly recommend it!

The friendliest people at the pay window and our guide was amazing, funny and answered all our questions. Luckily we were a group of only 5 so we were able to go inside without light and when out guide turned on the light we all gasped. The caves are just WOW! Outside you can park wonderfully and there are picnic tables everywhere to eat while you wait to enter the cave.

100% worth it. The cave is the longest and biggest we’ve ever seen. We recommend the longer tour if you can get tickets. We got there about an hour before and were able to get tickets. The kids we went with were aged 2-7 and they enjoyed seeing all the formations! Some places are slippery and it’s quite cold (only 7 degrees the day we went) so make sure to bring shoes with good traction and warm jackets for inside the cave. Bring a picnic for before or after the tour. After the first set of stairs, you’ll see tons of wooden picnic tables. If you climb up the next step of stairs, you’ll find lots of concrete picnic tables with umbrellas for shade and beautiful views. There’s also a little hiking trail that we saw a lot of people went on.

Beautiful experience, hopefully more tourists go to see this cave and learn and see the process of forming the stalagmites and stalactites… I learned so much, and I just left the place thinking how great is the power of the nature. It is also the great way to meet north of Spain , other part of this beautiful country with extreme activities, or just meeting its salvage nature and beautiful mountains. The guide was extremely nice, open for questions and he had very interesting way to explain and show you the history of the cave. He even showed us how the interior of cave change between seasons. The Atlántico Botanical Garden in Gijón is a large and beautiful garden that showcases plants from Spain's north coast and Atlantic regions. It has a museum as well, which is especially interesting if you're interested in natural history. The gardens are very peaceful and relaxing, making it a great place to spend an afternoon if you have an interest in nature. It's also very inexpensive, making it a great option for budget-minded travelers.
This place is not just beautiful but also very informative, even though I didn't read all the info because it has an immense variety of plants. This is a must go place if you encounter yourself around Gijón.

Great place for the nature lovers out there! There's an entrance fee of €2.90, but I was told that you could leave and come back. You also need approximately 2.5 hours to see the whole place.

Interesting but neglected.
There were many lights and buttons turned off or not working inside different buildings with exhibits.
Some plant signs were illegible or still standing where a plant has long been dead, or positioned so far from the path that you can't read them.
Some were also inaccurate: for example, the sign for Syzygium jambos was in front of Syzygium smithii.
The maze was interesting but you can see through the hedge walls.
The whole place needs a bit of TLC (tender loving care), that's all.
1 star given for all the things that could be easily fixed.
But we still had a good time because they have a lot of different plants! And it is inexpensive.
You could spend several hours here if you're really into plants!

Lovely place to have a walk around, it's a natural kind of garden with each area themed. There's a fun dragon slide for kids too. Take a picnic and spend a day. We were also told that we could come back with our ticket the same day and it was open til 9pm. Very cheap to get in too, kids under 12 are free and we paid £5 for both of us, two adults. The maze is fun too.

It's quite big but going around feels like a natural amusement park.
We enjoyed every step of it and the entrance was cheap for 2.90€.
To enjoy it better bring some snacks (there are drinkable water fountains around) and spend a whole afternoon chill and have a picnic in the gardens. They close at 18.00
We spent about 3 hours and if we weren't hungry we would have stayed an hour more for sure.

We came here on a sunny day in March looking for a bit of spring. While there were precious few flowers, the range of plants and the great amount of information made the trip worthwhile.
They have quite a variety of habitats, and with explanations in both Spanish and English I was able to increase my Spanish vocabulary quite rapidly :)
The garden is a decent size, you can cover it in about 90 minutes if you don't stop much.
If you like plants it is worth a trip. There is no cafe.

Good afternoon. We are delighted. I'll start with the fact that my wife had a wound. And at the entrance, at the cash desk, we got a pharmacy suitcase and helped to process and seal it in order to walk quietly. This is very humane and hospitable of you. Now the garden closes at 6 pm, and although we did not have time to see the whole garden (we started at 4.30 pm), we were very pleased. A lot of rare plants, interesting routes, rich interactives in buildings, a lot of decorations - everything to have fun! We will definitely come back and finish our walk. Thank you very much!

I've been living here for a while now, and it was surprisingly the first time that I've been able to make it! It's a cheap way to spend the day (we didn't even see anything and we were there for over two hours!) We brought lunch and ate at a picnic bench! There's also a cafe to grab some food or drinks as well. I was soo pleasently surprised to see how CLEAN and fully stocked all the bathrooms were. It was way bigger than I thought it would be, and it was beautiful!!
There's only a couple reasons why I wouldn't give it 5 stars:
1) while there are ramps, I could imagine it being quite an effort to get around if you're in a wheelchair due to various steep inclines and very uneven ground
2) alot of things seemed super dry and dying. I understand that it's the summer, but if it's a botanical garden, you would think that the upkeep would be a little bit better.
3) a lot of their features are water features/fountains and flowing water. Every single water feature that we passed was turned off or empty. A little disappointing considering it could have made the experience more enjoyable!
I was able to take many pictures, so I will upload a few of them now

San Lorenzo beach is a nice, secluded beach located in the heart of the city of Gijon. It has a promenade that leads to city amenities, making it perfect for swimming, sunbathing and enjoying some good old-fashioned fun in the sand.
Super 💕❤️

Looks like a great beach. The weather wasn't great on my visit so I can't comment on the sea temperature and the swimming capabilities but it was clean and tidy.

Beautiful beach! It isn't too overrun. The water was 20 degrees in June. So the swim was nice. A lot of people surf here as there is always wind.
There aren't a lot of facilities around for toilets or changing, maybe one.
I love this beach. 😀 it's nice and natural, no commercial shops on the beach trying to sell you things. It's just simple, and that's what makes it beautiful 😍

The beach is a five star. Clean, nice and shallow. Great for playing and swimming. Great sand. Great beach walk.
Few good coffee places and even worse parking facilities and the ones that exists are really small and not up to date.
Also no dogs allowed regardless the hours. Would be fair to allow dogs early in the mornings, say until 9:00. There are no one there that early anyways. Dogs allowed between October and April.

I heard that St. Lorenzo Beach in Gijon is the busiest beach in Asturias and I am guessing is on summer time. The beach is really long and beautiful with golden sand and high waves. You can see many people playing sand sports, specially surfing since early morning every day from all the surf schools along the boulevard. It is amazing and very relaxing!!

(Translated by Google) On June 9, 1990, the park and the sculpture "In Praise of the Horizon" were inaugurated.
So that today we Gijón residents and visitors can enjoy this place had a cost, because the enclave was military property. The City Council bought it from the Army at the beginning of the 1980s and during this decade its remodeling began by José Luis Martín and Francisco Pol. It was completed in 1990 with the arrival of the sculpture that is the emblem of the city and that in Its moment garnered quite a bit of criticism: the Praise of the Horizon.
The "Praise of the Horizon" is a concrete sculpture by Eduardo Chillida, weighing almost 500 tons and 10 meters high. Despite the controversy it generated at the time, it has become the symbol of the city. And despite how much or how little you like it, it integrates perfectly with the colors of the sea and the sky.

The Gijon Aquarium is one of the top attractions in the city, and it houses over 5,000 marine creatures from 400 different species. It's a great option for visitors to the city, especially families who will enjoy watching otters splashing around, Magellanic penguins sliding down the rocks, and sharks swimming in the tanks.
A place near the beach , it's also good to visit when it's raining. It wasn't crowded and it's a relaxing walk through the aquariums. Time enough to admire everything.

I love this place! It is located 5 minutes walking from the center of Gijón, or 2 minutes from the railway museum and parking. It is an aquarium where you can notice the love of the people who are working there. Everything is tidy and clean. The decoration hand made and beautiful. I had a small aquarium for 4 years so i can tell you that the animals were living in perfect conditions. I really enjoyed the information I received about the invasive species and their effects. It is not massive, but it is lovely, it is not an aquarium where you can walk inside a túnel or they do not have crocodiles or penguins or otters but they have tiger sharks and amazing turtles. But they have Axolotl that for me was a huge surprise. If you are in the area visit this place. It worths every cent. I can not wait to go again.

The Metropolitan Cathedral of San Salvador of Oviedo is one of the most important and well-known religious buildings in the city. The cathedral has a variety of architectural styles, from Pre-Romanesque to Baroque, and features a Romanesque, Gothic and Renaissance part. It is also known for its tower, which was built in the 9th century and is one of the oldest remaining towers in Spain.
Great audio tour of this spectacle on your mobile. Very interesting and took us nearly 2 hours in all in the cathedral. The modern chapel for Covadonga was striking against the gold of other areas. Not too crowded so ankle to appreciate it. Loved the misericordes in the cluster where they displayed the old choir starts but a pity we could not get close to see them all.

Whatever your religion is, this stays a piece of art and architecture that you should not miss.
Also , unlike many religious visits, you can see a lot of rooms here: antichambre, holy chamber, shroud of Christ (officially…), cloister, museum, crypt
This is very rich.
You pay 7 euros and you get a digital guide. Worth the visit.

Cathedral with a mixture of styles, from pre-Roman, Gothic to Baroque. Built in the 13th century and finished in the 16th on the remains of temples from the 9th century. Very interesting to visit because of the history it contains, as well as the importance of the first pilgrimages it received. I recommend a guided tour to understand its greatness. Curious to see a single tower since the city's money ran out in a great fire on December 24, 1521.
Vladimir Titin — Google review
It might not have the instant impact of others such a Burgos, Salamanca or Leon but this Cathedral dedicated to the Saviour is a slow burner and has greater substance to it, should you include its museum housing the famous Asturias Cross amongst other excellent artefacts. In fact it is an impressive all round package for 7 euros, representing good value for money, as it will take you at least an hour to comprehensively visit all of it.
Stuart McCleane — Google review

Masoud Hosseini — Google review
I struggle with having grown up in Oviedo, and seeing that a payment is necessary to enter the Cathedral to visit it. Payment is NOT required for attendance to services, though, and I understand that when ALL big tourist attractions require payment, and maintenance and Church expenses are unavoidable, this may be the only option. The Cathedral, the Cámara Santa, and the Claustro are worth visiting.

The Iglesia de Santa María del Naranco is a medieval church located on one of the hillsides above the town of Oviedo in Asturias, in northern Spain. The church was commissioned by King Ramiro in 842 as part of a complex of palaces and became a parish church in 10C-11C. The unusual building is on one of the hillsides above the town and is shaped like an eagle with its wings spread.
The church must be visited as first one with St Miguel de Lillo because the ticket office is there.
Apparently it's hard to book a visit. The email you may find on Internet belongs to the parish and they may not be so reactive to your request.
The visit is only guided, lasts around 40 minutes and the hours in Internet are corrected.
It's a very busy place so you may find a lot of groups, so I suggest to go there and have the tickets but not at the end of the day.
Unfortunately we cannot take pics in St Miguel.

Truly unique and beautiful. My issue is that the site is not managed very well. The experience could be greatly improved by having 2 employees (one at each site) and a pamphlet you can read about the structure. It would avoid forcing visitors who have already arrived to wait over an hour for the next unpublished guided tour time. For a UNESCO site the lack of access is disheartening

for the history geeks: nobody really knows the true reason and purpose of this pre-roman built architecture. architectural details reveals byzantine influences and figurative, animal, mythological and floral motifs. while the structure hD been modified and used as a church at a time, there's also an original bath like structure hidden on one side while the main core of the building is bare and spacious. along time and its story, this building was likely used as a church to bless soldiers before they head off to war and fend off the muslims from the south, further back to its original intent, who knows, it could be a royal bath house or retreat to the ancient goddesses in byzantine/greek/roman tales.

There is no school history book that does not have this cover. We have all studied his art or heard about it. A clear example of a civil building (palace) accommodated as a 9th century church. Essential visit for lovers of art and history in Oviedo. Nearby public parking and if you are an early riser almost at the door. Joint entry with Lillo.

When you visit take the guided tour to both churches. This is the only way to see the interior. Especially that of the Iglesia de San Miguel de Lillo is remarkable. The tour is only in Spanish, but we managed to understand. The visitor centre told us that when the door at the Iglesia Santa María del Naranco was closed a guided tour was going on. So visit the centre to be sure there is a tour guide around.

The smallish gift shop has some quality items besides the usual stuff. And there are also bathrooms.

It has 5 entries and it closes at 11pm. The park has a trail for exercise very popular, a pond very popular with seagulls, specially during rainy days and a zone for kids. The park deserves better maintenance though as you can see for the old posts, bins... It seems a lot of trees have been lost due to storms and not sure if they have ever been replaced.

(Translated by Google) Simply stunning, the room is made with a lot of love. A very well-woven story from the beginning. The ticket agent gives it a 10 and describes very clearly what will happen next, pay attention to her, she is your only friend in there.
The room is cared for in detail, it is undoubtedly a must-see.
I have seen rooms in Bilbao, Galicia, Asturias and Barcelona and this room has nothing to stop it from being among the best I have seen. The boys have worked hard and the room is enjoyed step by step.
Amazing, I can't tell you more. The ticket agent will tell you the rest...

(Translated by Google) Very well set, the room is not horror, but it has scares and we got some scares, and although it is not horror it does keep you tense, very fun. The puzzles are affordable, we were a group of six, of which 2 were new and they loved them, we all left very happy. The Game Master was super nice and attentive, giving clues when it was strictly necessary. We loved it, I hope we can repeat it...Highly recommended!

(Translated by Google) From the first moment the treatment was great, and the experience was very fun. We were 7 people in two small groups on the recommendation of the guys in the room and we had a great time.
It was a great thing that they let us from the first team interact and participate in the second group's turn, giving some subtleties.
On the other hand, the room is very cool, and although it is not scary, they know how to maintain tension at all times.
As for the tests, there are easier ones and some more complicated ones, and it is necessary to try to stay focused at all times, however the guys from Silence Circus know very well how to make it difficult for you.
A great experience. Thank you so much

Muchas gracias

(Translated by Google) Dilapidated room. The idea is not bad but it is very old. The worst thing is, it is full of signs that say do not touch. They don't let you move anything and what's worse, they penalize you if you make a mistake when doing so. The game master is with you almost all the time. The ending is chaotic.
In short, totally dispensable.

Sala venida a menos.

Jameos del Agua is a unique attraction located in Lanzarote, featuring volcanic tunnels and caverns that house an underground concert hall, restaurant, and salt lake. Designed by local artist Cesar Manrique, this masterpiece combines nature and art to create a feeling of harmony. Visitors can sample contemporary dishes at the restaurant while admiring the extraordinary natural setting inside a cave created by a volcanic eruption.
Well worth a visit. Very unique and fascinating place. Try making your own way there if you can because if you go as part of a tour you don't seem to get long enough to walk around and enjoy yourself. I've now been twice on different tour's and each time we've only had 45 minutes max to enjoy the place before we've had to head back to the coach. It would be nice to spend at least half a day there just to see everything. Definitely a gem of the island.

Impressive Cave, though there was nothing to see. No white shrimps on sight so we just walked through the cave through the super cold water that is quite a refreshment on the hot day. Seems that space is used commercially with chairs and tables, like there is a little stage too.. but in the time we were there, there was no action taken..
On the other side of the object they were getting ready for some wedding so I am guessing this unique space is also used as a Wedding venue.

Really nice place for a visit. we went late in the afternoon with a coach trip, which gives you a limited visit time. I would recommend going by car and spending a few hours there and taking time to see it all. Our coach tour guide Paul was very knowledgeable and didn't push you on .

I booked the North tour and thus did not wait as tickets were bought in advance.
This is a unique experience. As the tour was timed we only spent an hour and this is adequate to walk through a cave like structure in volcanic rock. A lovely site. There are coffee places and a restaurant area if you wish to spend more time that our tour hour.
The photos do not do this justice.

This amazing fusion of volcanic rock, cave, architecture and plant life is well worth a visit.
Take your time and allow the environment to soak into you.
We took our time, had a coffee at the little cafe in the cave, listened to the birds flying overhead in the cave roof, looked at the little crabs in the amazingly clear water and soaked up the amazing way the white plaster elements blend with the rock and plant life.
Don’t let the price of the tickets put you off. This is well well worth the visit.
We visited in the later part of the day when there were less people and no your busses. Best enjoyed when it is quiet.

Great place to visit. Lots to see we went via First Minute Tours a local tour company in Lanzarote so we didn’t have to purchase tickets.
The queue was a little large but it’s well worth the wait the views are amazing inside and out.

Amazing experience. The cave is incredibly well cured with clean paths and safe spots to chill out in the fresh ecosystem of it. There are two restaurants/bars for what I understood. They might be very expensive but the location is what you pay for.
Simone Villa — Google review
One of the most magical place on the island. If you have tickets you can easily skip the queue, just go directly to cashier and tell them you bought them already. The visit to the cave does not take long and it gets busy therefore make sure you make the most of it

Very nice place to visit. There is a cafe around with not much choice but good for refresh if anyone needs and the cave with blind crabs is stunning. 10€ per person is a tiny much for what it is but still worth to see

A very cool and interesting cave system, the crabs are great to see (the little white dots on the rocks!)
The main white 'lagoon' serves zero functional purpose bar to wind up any sun baked kids who think it resembles a usable swimming pool.

A really excellent place for photos and relax and chill out. The pools, grounds and all the facilities are much worth the trip. I would highly recommend going. You could litterly spend a good portion of the day if you stop and have a bite to eat. All so really good food service, reasonable prices and helpful staff.

Interesting place to visit but overall not very exciting.
Visited this place as part of an excursion, but I believe the entry was €10 which I think is moderately fair for what you see.
Past the entrance you then take the stairs down into the cave, which has a restaurant at the bottom from which you get some stunning views of the cave itself.
Plenty of opportunities for picturesque selfies if that’s what floats your boat, especially at the swimming pool at the rear end.
Before you leave there is another bar at the end (€2.50 for a bottle of coke) and after that there is the souvenir shop.

A unique place to visit in Lanzarote! It is part of a series of cultural and natural interest points around the island (you can buy a cumulative ticket to cover some or all of them). I really recommend to visit it because it's so interesting to see this incredible natural carved cave with water inside and the possibility to eat within the area (literally in the cave)!
Don't miss it!

Absolutely beautiful place. Very much enjoyed visiting. Restaurant's food was nice as well. We didn't expect it since it was in a touristic sight. But we were nicely surprised.

If you love nature, this is really not something to miss whilst on Lanzarote. The blind albino crabs are tiny, but once you get your eye in, you realise how many of them there are in the water. The atmosphere (when we went at least) was tranquil and beautiful, and everyone was talking in hushed tones so as not to disturb the peace. There was some meditation type music playing lightly in the background. I definitely felt like I wanted to stay longer just sat with the crabs than I did - so I would say take your time. The building where they have the museum information and interactive instalments was worth having a good look around, too. (And it was lovely and cool inside) for the cost, it is well worth it (it's not expensive - you can also purchase tickets online in advance and they were operating a different queue for tickets purchased in advance, so if you don't like queuing, that is a faster entry option). We had to wait for about 10mins before we could go in.

There is no place on the Earth like it.
The sense of peace and Tranquility. As you enter via the staircase with the beautiful old wooden banisters is 2nd to none.
We had booked for the special evening meal with live music and it did not disappoint.
Highly recommended.
A trip to Lanzarote without a trip here would be wrong

Worth taking the time to visit, we went via a tour company and so we did not have to queue to get in, on way out we saw a huge queue to get in so worth doing as part of a tour, walk through underground caves - there are a few steps up and down and a maybe three or four times where the head height was low, people with some limited mobility were in the group and managed ok with these obstacles, some very dark areas to walk through but lots of people using torch on mobiles so that helps, definitely worth the walk through as amazing to see..cafe at near the end of the walk, but more people looking at the surrounding than actually ordering food, quick note 1 loo for the ladies and 2 for the gents at the cafe so be aware there will be a queue for those. Overall one of our favourite parts of the tour day.

Huge parking, fitting around 200-400 cars. Considering the amount of visitors this place attracts there is only a single kiosk selling the tickets. So be prepared to stand outside in the wind/sun with small crying kids for 30-45 mins to enter. No signs telling what to do with online bought tickets. So another lazy girl from the same window in the entrance kiosk is checking the front of the que for tickets. So its poiness to buy online, same que as buying on spot. Price was 15 for the “pit”; 5 extra for the museum. Museum was worth the price, pit - no. 2 cafegerias inside, and a 100m long path from entrance to the “pool”. Thats it :) it can be skipped considering the terrible organization, price.

If you are in Lanzarote during the insólita visit, please take a ticket for one of them.
We were only 4 on the tour and we did have exclusive access to the site - before opening hours (10am usually), but also to restrictive area which is not open to the public.
Our tour guide, Julian was so passionate about the site and its history. It was such an amazing experience. I definitely recommend it!
Also to finish, you have a light brunch made of local products - delicious!
All of that was only €40 per person.

Very interesting place to visit deep into the caves. Lovely views. Peaceful and serene. You can see the pools and a swimming pool. An auditorium, restaurant and cafe. Steps down so be prepared to walk, steps back up. 15 euros each entrance

A stunning location brimming with history and countless fascinating wonders. Here, one can delve into the formation of the entire island, the mechanics of lava, and all the mysteries that lie beneath. It’s also the perfect spot to unwind on sunny days with some refreshing drinks. i love it there

Very beautiful! Seeing the pearl crabs was a great experience! We went with a guided tour so we didn't have to wait, it is pretty crowded but we were able to get pictures and explore without too much waiting around.

Great place to visit. Owned or frequented by Cesar Manrique, blind albino crabs, caves and lots of volcanic lava steps.
Lots to walk around and see . I found the cave parts a bit dark so the open parts where you get sunlight were better for me.
Worth a visit for sure.

Ticket to enter Jameos del Aqua is 15€ per person. Place is nice and cave is interesting. Per my opinion nice to see but not worth 15€. Too short walk for this price and too little content. Woul not go again. There are better places to visit on the island. Is you do not visit did not loose a lot.

Like many places we visited this week in Lanzarote there was once again a bit of a queue. Thankfully we had pre-booked our tickets and so got inside instantly. The cave is a nice place to cool down on a hot day. There’s even a cute restaurant tucked inside the cave. Great for a quick bite or a cold drink. I’d recommend visiting Jameos del Agua just after doing Las Cueva de los Verdes which is “across the street”. Aim for lunchtime as the queues tend to clear.

What a lovely surprise this was. From walking down to the first cafe and looking at the luminous rocks to seeing the small white (albino) crabs in the tidal lake and the beautiful blue lagoon. The auditorium looks a great place for a show or a concert. Unfortunately whilst we were on the island we had just missed concert.
A great place to go as a couple or with the family. Nice coffee in either of the two cafes. It also had a good sized gift shop.

One of the best attraction to visit when you are in Lanzarote. The volcanic tube cave system in the area is a natural wonder miraculously designed by Caesar Manrique.
The cave auditorium is a wonder in it self
You can see the blind albino crabs too.
Cafe and restaurant are nice here.
Entry ticket is for €15 .
