Bongeunsa is a traditional Korean Buddhist temple complex located in the upscale Gangnam district. Despite being surrounded by corporate high-rises, the temple's shrines and halls offer a serene retreat with its tree-filled hillside setting. Established in AD 794, the temple has undergone several reconstructions over the centuries. Visitors enter through the Jinyeomun (Gate of Truth) guarded by four king guardians.
This place was cool! This place is a great to experience the vibe of a Buddhist temple. There are mutiple temples throughout the place that we can see people doing their thing and playing. The place is kept really well! And there was a lot of interesting things to see. And it's right next to coex, so you can look around and go to coex next.

Add this to your must-visit places in Seoul when you come here. Anybody who is spiritual may indeed find this place has powerful caring energies. Whether you are a Buddhist or not, highly recommend you visit. For Buddhists who would like to pray, they provide huge areas in front of both the 23 meter tall statue and the pagoda with the smaller seated sculptures. They provide comfy prayer cushion mats for anyone who wants to pray.

Cool Korean Buddhist temple to visit in the middle of Seoul. Would recommend visiting the place to experience traditional styled architecture with modern background.

This is a smaller temple nestled right in the middle of the city.
Peaceful gardens and winding pathways invite leisurely strolls, while hidden nooks and crannies offer quiet spots for meditation and reflection.
As I entered the temple grounds, I was immediately struck by a sense of peace and serenity. The gentle sound of rustling leaves and distant chanting filled the air, creating a soothing atmosphere conducive to quiet contemplation.

Aah this place is beautiful! The staff was very friendly and gave us a quick introduction and welcoming to the place. Furthermore, in the tea house was cosy.

Calm Buddhist temple in the middle of bustling Gangnam. Entrance is free of charge.
It was established since 794, but everything, except for one hall, was heavily damaged during the Korean War & restored. It features the 23 meter tall Maitreya Buddha statue, who is prophesied to arrive when the teachings of Gautama Buddha are forgotten.
It has plenty of colourful lanterns and some of the plum blossom trees were blooming during my visit.
There is a small coffee shop & souvenir shop at the entrance. Some of the rooms at the nearby Intercontinental Hotel offer a view of the temple.

Beautiful temple tucked in between all the high-rise buildings. Few things to note if visiting:
1. Lots of stairs and the paths are not wheelchair accessible or for those with mobility disabilities.
2. Suggest bringing along your own lighter or matches if you plan on lighting incense. None of the lighters (all 12 of them) worked when we visited

A buddhist temple steeped in history. Take a stroll into the compound and be greeted by the 4 heavenly statues. From there enjoy the calmness of the area and feast your eyes on the architecture that dates back to 794. Temple stays are also available. Brochures are readily available.

A very serene temple in the middle of the city. It’s opposite COEX mall and among other skyscrapers.
Temple is a Korean style temple with extensive grounds and different halls for different purposes. It was very enjoyable to explore the area as it was very chill and quiet.
Trees surrounding the temple halls also gave it a peaceful atmosphere and there are walking paths to explore the grounds

Great place to pay respect and visit. Many local people came with flowers and pray at the temple, the area is spacious. If came by car then park at Hyundai department store or Coex.

We loved this temple. It has a peaceful energy and many great spots for photos and getting an insight on the old classic structure that had the Korean temples thousands of years ago. There is also a big Buda where you can go and have a prayer if you are in the religion or just feel like you need to.

Just wandered through Bongeunsa Temple in Seoul, and wow! This place is a hidden gem. Tucked away in the heart of bustling Gangnam, it's like stepping into a peaceful oasis.
The buildings are beautiful - colorful halls and calming gardens. There's a giant Buddha statue that'll leave you speechless. It's a great place to escape the city noise and recharge. ♀️
Here's the deal:
Free Entry: Bonus points for being wallet-friendly!
Tranquil vibes: Perfect for some quiet reflection or meditation.

It’s located near Subway gold line and it’s located opposite of COEX mall
We had seen Red plum blossom what was such beautiful.
Fortunately we had appropriate time to enjoy this scene ♥️

Probably the most colorful and beautiful temple that I’ve visited on my trips to Seoul, and so conveniently located as well; it’s directly behind the Coex mall.
From the road you would have no idea how radiant and deep the temple is. There’s hundreds of statues lining walls, and multi-colored lanterns lining various paths and statues.
We visited at midday and it was surprisingly empty, definitely a lesser known gem of Korea’s capital.
Matty B — Google review
Bongeunsa Temple holds a special place in our hearts and is one of the primary reasons why we consistently choose to stay at Intercontinental hotels. As devout Buddhists, it is essential for us to visit temples for prayers, light candles, and make offerings such as rice, red beans, flowers aand water. Each time we visit Bongeunsa Temple, we experience a profound sense of inner peace.
The act of lighting a candle holds significant meaning in Buddhism. Initially, it was intended as an offering to the Buddha, the Dharma, and for the benefit of all beings. However, over time, it has come to symbolize the lighting of an inner lamp within oneself, signifying the purification and clarity of one's own mind, as well as the cultivation of wisdom. Lighting a candle is a form of prayer, and its purpose extends beyond the physical light it emits.
Some may question why Buddhists offer rice to the Buddha. According to Buddhist beliefs, the merit gained from offering "one grain of rice" surpasses even that of Mount Sumeru.
Mount Sumeru is a concept in Buddhism, described as a mountain composed of precious substances such as gold, silver, lapis lazuli, and crystal. It is believed to reach a height of 84,000 yojanas (approximately 1.1 million kilometers). The summit of Mount Sumeru is the dwelling place of the heavenly king Indra, while the Four Heavenly Kings occupy its four sides. The description in the "Long Discourses" places the Northern Continent, Eastern Pure Land, Western Ox-Herding Continent, and Southern Continent within Mount Sumeru, making it the largest mountain considered to be at the center of the universe, encompassing the entire cosmos.
Despite the immense size and significance of Mount Sumeru, the act of offering "one grain of rice" is considered to generate greater merit. This highlights the immense value placed on acts of generosity and giving in Buddhism.
Additionally, the offering of water holds its own significance. The Buddha specifically instructed that offering a cup of water in front of a Buddha image can benefit the liberation of 84,000 hungry ghosts and all aquatic creatures. This act is considered equivalent to reciting powerful mantras to eliminate one million karmic obstacles or to invoke wealth one million times. Water symbolizes wealth in this context, and its use in offerings signifies abundance and generosity.
We hope that this basic information about visiting Bongeunsa Temple or any other temples proves useful to you. 🥰🥰🥰🌹🌹🌹
Coex Aquarium, located within the Coex Shopping Mall, offers a captivating experience for visitors of all ages. The expansive aquarium showcases diverse marine habitats, from deep sea to reef and mangrove environments. With its modern and spacious tanks, it houses a wide variety of fish and marine mammals. The well-organized layout features dedicated sections for species from different parts of the world, as well as interactive areas where visitors can touch starfish or experience the sensation of doctor fish nibbling on dead skin cells.
One of the best aquarium place. My own opinion I like it more than the one at Osaka. Not too big but good organized

Really nice aquarium for kids and adults! We went on a Saturday in the summer and it was packed- there were so many people. We managed to get around fine though. There were a ton of really great exhibits- they have a huge shark tank, seals, manatees, penguins, and other various animal life. My son loved an exhibit where you stick your hand in and little fish eat at the dead skin on your hand. He thought this was the coolest thing ever! It was clean and there were clean toilets throughout to stop at. The price was decent and what I expected for something in the Coex mall. It was a good thing to do with kids!

Wow. This was such a great aquarium. Clean and not stuffy and humid like most I’ve been to. Even all the little creatures seemed so happy and lively!!

It's a really nice Aquarium. Not too big, not too small either. Plenty of sea life to see. The beluga is the highlight, definitely spend some time there, if it's playing hide and seek, wait for it on the benches. The aquarium consists of a couple of floors, so be mindful of that. We spent on average a couple of minutes per tank and it took us about 1:30 hours to go through it all.

This was my second visit here - I also visited in 2018. This is such a nice aquarium. The tanks and animal enclosures are well maintained and the fish and animals seem well cared for and happy. It was so relaxing to walk around and look at the fish especially since it was a rainy day out. I recommend visiting here and spending at least a couple of hours looking around.

First time visiting this place...
it's located inside Coex Mall..
No queues, even though it's the weekend (New Year's Eve)..
The aquarium is spacious, with a wide variety of fish..
The spatial arrangement is good, and the most interesting part for kids is the fish pond where they can put their hands in...
Extremely clean.
Highly recommend for children's recreation 👍👍

Awesome aquarium with a mix of BIG and little marine life! There are a few cute spots to take pictures at and stamps to fill out your brochure, as you go along the path. Sadly, I traveled without my boyfriend this time,so I was lonely at the places couples could take pictures at. I would definitely recommend this for children too! It seems like a very educational place with the kids in mind. My favorite place was seeing the sharks and stingrays near the underwater tunnels. You can get really nice pictures there 😊 I would definitely like to come back with my boyfriend.

Not the biggest or the best aquarium we've been to. Still worth a visit if you are with kids. Buying tickets on Klook in advance saves you a lot of money. There were some nice interactive spots like the life cycle of a jellyfish & the doctor fish corner. There was a really friendly penguin who loved to play with the kids. Our enthusiasm might have been dampened by the massive crowd of high school students on a school trip. They were pretty rowdy and we had to wait a while for them to thin out so our young kids could enjoy the surroundings.
Emilyn Lui — Google review
It's advisable to avoid visiting this place on weekends as it tends to get quite crowded. Please be aware that upon scanning our tickets, we were disappointed to find out that there was no lift access available for entering or exiting the venue. This meant we had to fold our stroller, which was inconvenient. Inside, there is a cafe where parents can take a quick coffee break. They use a Nespresso machine, but the prices are a bit steep, with a cup costing 5,500.00 won. They also offer sausages and churros as snacks, and if you're a meat eater, opting for the sausage is a safe choice since it's only 1000 won more expensive.
The venue itself wasn't as large as we had anticipated, and navigating it with a stroller proved to be quite challenging due to the high volume of people. The fish exhibits were satisfactory, although I'm not an expert in fish varieties. However, the fish didn't boast the vibrant colors you might find at other aquariums, such as the one in Singapore. While our kids enjoyed the experience, it didn't completely captivate them. It's worth noting that the tickets are quite pricey, and we ended up spending over 100,000.00 won for our family of four, including two small children. We spent around 3 hours inside the aquarium.
In summary, if you plan on visiting this place, it's best to choose a weekday to avoid the crowds. Keep in mind the limited accessibility for strollers and the higher prices at the cafe. While the aquarium offers an enjoyable experience, it may not meet the same level of excitement as other aquariums, and the tickets can be a significant expense for a family.

Very good spot to go to with little kids. A lot of sea creatures inside. We love the sharks the seals and the penguins. And theres a lot more. You will spend a good 2 hrs or more inside. My boys had a lot of fun.
Greta Mendoza — Google review
Absolutely adore this aquarium. I was expecting it to be less impressive as the outside gives off a rather childish impression. The variety is pretty good, and the enclosures are great. I was very happy to see many new species of fish that I'd not seen at other aquariums around the world. I also thought the location was very convenient. Would definitely recommend visiting if you're thinking about it.
Georgia Ramsamy (GG) — Google review
I super duper loved this aquarium! It was the best experience I've had so far! There were so much to see and do. They have this stamp thing where you stamp at each location you go to. There was plenty of feeding times and a pretty mermaid show. I probably spent a good 3-4 hours here.
If you come here as a couple, there were cute mirrors to take pics with your spouse.
KR Nguyen — Google review
Might be a good place for kids if you want your kids to grow up with terrible morals and no respect for animals and life. Came here in December of 2021 thinking COEX aquarium was a major tourist destination, but was immensely disappointed when I saw 20 clown fish in a 20 gallon fish tank. To add to it, there were about 20 OTHER fish living in the tank. There were no plants, no anemones for the clown fish to live in AND it was the first tank on display!
There were two manatees. A dangerously endangered species.... literally in a tank not even two manatees long. No plants. Cruelty.
Visit COEX aquarium to experience cruelty at its maximum potential.
Margi DiPietro — Google review
It's a very pretty and quite big aquarium in Coex with a lot of species. Loved the sitting area by the shark tank, I was there for ~40 minutes just admiring the sharks swimming around!
I gave 4 stars instead of 5 just cause it was a little pricey, especially when compared to other aquariums like Busan or Jeju.. I think those are better and cheaper, but Coex Aquarium is a nice solution if you can't leave the city and still want to have a good time!
Silvia Bongiovanni — Google review
This is primarily a place to bring your kids, but for a mall aquarium it has a surprisingly decent variety of fauna.
The penguin and manatee exhibits won it for me, but the deep sea tunnel area was excellent as well.
A little pricey at 32000 KRW (or about $24 USD) for an hour's worth of attraction, but if it keeps the animals fed and sheltered it's worth it.
The 4 star rating is mostly because the maze is broken up by a lot of vending machine stops and other ways to spend your money. I get it, but it still hurts the vibe.
Aamir Habib — Google review
Very nice aquarium that's a lot bigger then expected.
There were a variety of different aquatic creatures. I recommend going during the week days so you can see the penguins and otters.
There is a very big emphasis on it being a children's attraction so bear that in mind.
Yasin Kubica — Google review
Great experience for children or adults! The displays and tanks were very creative and fun to look at. There's a mermaid show, photo opportunities, and a gift shop. Most signage was displayed in English in addition to Korean which was super helpful for me. The Cafe was also pretty good and very fairly priced.

The shark viewing gallery is definitely the highlight at this aquarium. We spent 30 minutes just looking at the sharks. Some of them are huuuuuge. Overall, a fun visit. It was free to access using the Discover Seoul Pass. Once you have the Discover Seoul Pass, you can simply walk up to the ticket counter at Coex Aquarium and show them the pass. They will scan the code on the pass and then give you an entry ticket. We went on a Monday afternoon and there was barely any crowd. Zero waiting time. No queues. They also have clean toilets just outside the aquarium exit which are free to use.

I had an awesome time by myself here! Coming from Western countries, the standard of care for the animals was so much higher than I’d seen anywhere else. So many diverse animals, some I’d never seen in person before. Definitely planned out for kids but enjoyable for everyone for sure.

It's a massive aquarium with many exhibits. The underwater tunnel is the highlight with stingrays, sharks and different kind of fishes. Booking tickets online is cheaper than buying at the aquarium. However, you don't need to reserve it in advance. I bought them on the spot and walked in without any queue.

Great place to visit with your kids.
The aquarium is well displayed and it took between 1h to 1h30 min to visit it.
Many species to see and you can have access to the laboratory.
Washrooms available.
The entrance fees are high however, it is very clean, new and the tanks are clean.

Starfield COEX Mall is a massive underground shopping complex and convention center that offers an array of attractions. It's a paradise for shoppers, featuring numerous global brands in fashion, accessories, beauty, and lifestyle. The mall also boasts a large movie theater and a diverse selection of dining options. One of its highlights is the Starfield Library, which provides an ideal reading space with over 50,000 books covering various genres.
A really large mall that connects 2 subway stations (Bongeunsa and Samseong), although the library is nearer to the Samseong side. Lots of upscale shops and brands in the mall but the draw of this place is the huge library/bookstore in the middle. Worth a visit

We went on a weekend so naturally, the place was packed that looked like it was celebrating Sinulog. We had to move fast to take the best possible photos and videos.
It is located in the center of COEX Mall, a place where it can already eat up a lot of your time as well. 😩

First time here because it's trending..
I went on a Sunday,so it was tooooooo crowded..
It's located inside Coex Mall..
The library is huge, with many books to read.. Unfortunately,it has turned into a photo spot for aesthetics, and there's no seating for those who want to read..
Most visitors are tourists taking photos and videos at various spots..
So,visiting once is enough..

This library is breathtaking to say the least. With towering high selves and books on almost every field you can imagine. Beware that the majority of the publications here are in Korean as is expected of a Library in Korea. But there is a section with English books but they are a really small percentage in comparison.

This is a giant giant luxury shopping mall. It has everything you could want to shop for.
Western imported goods can be much more expensive than at home.
But Korean or Japanese products seem good value.
It has it's own aquarium which is quite expensive.
The most beautiful library.
Also the most wonderful choice of world food restaurants. Just allow yourself enough time. Underground service in Seoul is excellent but sometimes it is cheaper to take a taxi so check first depending on your location.

Very fun place and lots of things to do and see. Great for the kids. It was very busy the weekend we went so wait times for popular rides were close to 2 hours! Decided not to ride those rides and stuck to the kids rides which were still 20-30 minutes. Due to the wait times, we didn't get to experience the more popular attractions. Food choices were good but not great. The atmosphere was probably the best part. Lots of people were dressed up and it was a great place for teens and families to hang out. Great location and easy to get to using the subway. Some advice, buy tickets in advance. There are discounts for locals so see if you can find someone local to purchase your tickets ahead of time.

My family and I enjoyed this amusement park. There were rides at the indoor and outdoor area. Food were easily accessible. The French Revolution, Comet Express and Atlantis were popular rides thus be prepared to wait for a long time for it. The trick would be conquer the rest of the rides and come back for it. Do keep a lookout for some kids who will try to sneak in to cut your queue. Their trick would be one of them will sneak in front and if he gets in successfully, after a while, he will pretend to call for the rest of the group to join in. Just kindly tap the person if he cuts queue and he would be quietly retreat back to his original queue line.
Other than that, this is a nice place to spend the whole day at. Some even spend 2 days here!
P.S (Just for tourists - Ask me how to get the tickets cheaper and also get easy access into the amusement park. You can even come out of it once a day to have a breather)

Overhyped theme park that costs so much and charges more on some rides. Too many people on the weekends so don’t go then. Fast pass is expensive as well. The pro would be good is still decently priced inside the park as well as the souvenirs. Crane machines are great though and staff is nice and friendly.

I'd say it's worth visiting at least once. I wouldn't go again but I enjoyed it for what it is. Definitely buy tickets ahead of time and get your "reservation" tickets for the rides that gives it. We saw a lot of kids and students sitting on the floor in long lines waiting as we walked by and handed our reservation ticket. It's free and efficient but you do have to go on the ride in that 30min window.

Amazing place! We went here on a Monday morning at 10:15am. If you plan to use the Discover Seoul Pass to enter the park, please remember to use the Wild Tour Gate to enter. You need to get an entry ticket - just show your Discover Seoul Pass to the ticket counter at the Wild Tour Gate and they’ll give you the entry ticket. This gate also has very little crowd compared to the Main Gate which has a long queue to enter. When we entered at 10:15am, there was no queue and zero waiting time at the Wild Tour Gate.
Atlantis was an over-hyped ride. If you’re looking for a very thrilling roller coaster, I recommend French Revolution. The entrance to French Revolution roller coaster is on the second floor in the indoor section (not in Magic Island outside). I suggest you reach the park early and go straight to French Revolution first. Later on, by around 12 noon, the queue waiting time for the popular rides like Atlantis and French Revolution can go over 60 minutes. So make sure you do these fun rides first. There is also a fun parade at around 2pm in the indoor section - make sure to check information about the start timing and location early when you enter so that you don’t miss it. It is great fun to watch for children.

It's really enjoyable place with lots of different rides and food stalls. You'll enjoy for sure unless its not crowded with a big queue for every ride which was the case for me.

A magical yet mysterious theme park!
It is the world’s largest indoor theme park and it is well-connected to shopping malls, cinemas, restaurants, a luxury hotel, and an aquarium. It consists of a huge multilevel indoor theme park with an ice rink and an outdoor amusement park known as ‘Magic Island’.
The indoor theme park has a good selection of rides ranging from gentle to thrilling whereas Magic Island consists of mainly roller coasters and thrilling rides. Apart from attractions, there are frequent parades and performances which take place in the indoor theme park with the appearance of adorable Lotte World characters.
Lotte World theme park is an ideal place for a family day out and would recommend spending at least two days to fully enjoy most of the rides on both parks. I would personally recommend the Hot Air Balloon attraction that travels along with the ceiling located in the indoor theme park. The balloon ride allows visitors to have a great top view of the entire indoor theme park!

Hot to die! Waiting lines are long! But we arrived on their day off (Sunday) so everyone was there. We still really enjoyed the place and we were a bit upset that we had to pay more money for some attractions inside.

It was a very unique experience. The queue times were a bit long for some of the more popular rides, ~ 30-50 minutes. The food prices were reasonable, but some of the directions were a bit confusing, in my opinion. Definitely recommend going with friends or family

Wonderful and lovely Adventure Park.
One day pass for sure won't be enough to cover all in one day but with magic pass you can cover most of it with special access.
Had a lovely time with my family and my 5 year old kid enjoyed to the core.
Lot of photoshoot places too ensure cameras are ready. Found vegetarian food options very less.
Long waiting times on weekend but would presume only little difference if on weekdays.

Lotte World is a wonderland for children with imaginations brimming with magic. Stepping inside feels like entering a storybook, with whimsical rides, vibrant parades, and enchanting shows that bring fairytales to life. From soaring through the skies on Gyro Spin to twirling under the twinkling lights of the Carousel, Lotte World offers unforgettable experiences that spark wonder and laughter.
However, the wait times for popular rides, especially during peak seasons, can test even the most patient child's enthusiasm. Hour-long queues are not uncommon for the most thrilling attractions, which can put a damper on the day's magic. Consider purchasing an Express Pass or visiting during weekdays to minimize waiting times and maximize your Lotte World adventure.

The park is definitely a must-see to all who visit Seoul Korea. It's the best theme park in the area! All the rides were amazing, though the lines can get quite extreme during the day, even on weekdays. The place is beautiful as it is and highly recommend for young and old 😊 I'd say it's worth visiting we enjoyed our short visit and would like come again one day hopefully. Definitely buy tickets ahead of time and get your "reservation" tickets for the rides. We saw a long lines of queing, waiting as we walked by and handed our reservation ticket. Worth a visit highly recommend 👍

Good economic park to visit with family. It has an indoor and outdoor park that makes it a great place to visit year round regardless of the weather. I would recommend buying the tickets through Trazy or Klook to save money.

The theme park is pretty big with lots of rides and fully indoor, so you don't have to worry about the rain. Young children, in particular, would love it here as it's really catered for them. One regret I had was that I visited on a public holiday, so together with tourists, local Koreans and their families thronged this place. Wished that I had bought the Magic Pass to skip the queues as some rides, you will need to wait up to 2 hours long!

Very nice place, especially for families with kids. Multiple rollercoasters (I recommend "French Revolution"), 4D experience, games, arcades, some live theater/music... Really a lot. We had normal pass and in the morning the queues were long, but acceptable. In the afternoon, rollercoasters queues became terribly long... I wish we had "magic pass"...

Lotte World is an absolute wonderland of fun and excitement! This amusement park has it all, from thrilling rides that'll make your heart race to family-friendly attractions that guarantee smiles for everyone. The park's attention to detail and captivating themes create a truly immersive experience that transports you to different worlds. Whether you're an adrenaline junkie seeking out the daring roller coasters or looking for whimsical entertainment, Lotte World has something for everyone.
The indoor section is perfect for rainy days, offering a wide array of rides, shows, and shops to explore without worrying about the weather. On sunny days, the outdoor section is equally enchanting, with charming gardens and open-air rides to enjoy under the blue sky.
The magical parades and performances add a touch of enchantment to the park, leaving you with unforgettable memories. And when it comes to food, the diverse dining options ensure you never go hungry, serving up delicious treats from around the world.
Whether you're traveling with family, friends, or on your own, Lotte World guarantees a day filled with joy, laughter, and adventure. It's no wonder why this amusement park is a beloved destination for locals and tourists alike – a place where dreams come to life!

The shopping mall and theme park is a great day trip to do, it's huge! First part of the theme park is inside the mall with an ice rink and an outside park that is connected. Don't underestimate it and plan a day for it. I recommend to purchase the fast track ticket, but overall it is very nicely organized!

Great amusement park with indoor and outdoor aspects. Seems to cater to a younger age group compared to Universal Studios but still worthwhile to visit. Beware that some rides have an additional charge on top of the entrance fee.

Fun place for children and teenager, or first-time tourist. Nice place to take pictures. And good shops to get some snacks. But for adults late 20s and above, you run out of things to do really fast. 😅 There was a place to rent a wheelchair (for free) for my mother, which I really appreciated.

Great adventure place to play whole day but unfortunately there is no re-entry once you go out. But there are plenty of food options in the theme park would have love it more if they allow re-entry so that foreign visitors can do their shopping as well as play. The Happy Christmas parade was amazing for both 2pm and 8pm show

This place has a lot of hidden attractions. We were a bit skeptical when we first got here and it might be boring if you didnt explore enough but once you find those hidden rides, the whole experience changes.
Definitely get the magic pass if you’re a visitor. We got the 9-ride pass and saved a lot of time.

I give Lotte World five stars as I look at it if I had slightly younger children. It would definitely be five stars for kids under 11 or 10 years old. For teenage kids it's a little less even though there's great rides. The problem is on weekends the wait times for the more adult rides are very long. I've heard and have been told that it's best to visit on weekdays if you can for shorter lines. Overall, The price is very reasonable and there's a lot to do there.

Lotte World is a theme park operated by Lotte Group that offers entertainment and sightseeing opportunities for locals and international tourists. The park has two sections: the indoor Lotte World Adventure and the outdoor Magic Island theme park. In addition to this, it also comprises the newest shopping mall, folk museum, ice rink, hotel, and many other attractions. Lotte World Adventure is the largest indoor amusement park across the globe. It boasts exciting rides, beautiful parades, performances by artists and dancers, and eateries featuring food from around the world. The Folk Museum showcases miniature models of Korea from 5,000 years of history. It is a must-visit destination in Seoul, especially for families with children. We visited the park during our last holiday in Seoul and had lots of fun, although it felt a bit dated. We made unforgettable memories and would recommend it to anyone seeking a fun-filled experience.

Clever amusement park that combines outdoor, indoor, subterranean, and above ground! It’s quite a mix. It has a few legitimate rides. It was BUSY and it was a weekday, but then I’m just visiting. The 7 ride magic pass was well worth it! Two rides alone it supposedly saved us 80 minutes each.

my kids have a lot of fun here. but one day seems not enough to try them all. if you arrive here, quickly book the baloon ride, than you can go around play the other rides. before closing usually there will be a parade show. there are some rides that need additional fee but not expensive. there is also a museum of korean history. the queue for each rides usually quite long but we are lucky that near the closing time, the crowd become lesser and we can easily ride most of the attractions.

LOTTE WORLD TOWER, completed in 2017, stands as the tallest tower in Seoul and the 5th tallest building globally. The skyscraper boasts 123 floors and is home to a luxurious hotel and an observation deck offering breathtaking panoramic views of Seoul. Known as Seoul Sky, it is recognized as the world's highest glass-floored observation deck. While tickets are relatively expensive, visitors find the experience well worth it for its stunning vistas.
Lot world Tower is great if you use the soul sky experience to go up and view the wonderful panoramas of the city. I would strongly recommend that anyone take the time to go up and enjoy the views. I think it would also be good to go enjoy the views at night and see the night time lights of the city. It's also great to look down at the lakes and see all the cherry blossoms in the spring.

Very high up and romantic attraction.
They try every possible way to milk more money from you though. Lol. From photos, to cafes, to merchandise, at every corner.
2 person for about 44k won. Around 6 floors at top to explore. Lots of crowd even on weekdays.
But view is very nice. Be prepared for a huge numbers of people trying to take photo at the same spot as you at the same time. Not fun.

Very great tourist destination. The view of Seoul it’s amazing, and in my opinion, the pink hour is the best time to go.
The whole going up experience is great. The lift takes 60seconds to go all the way up.
We took the package that offers the observatory ticket price + dinner (you can choose between 5 different dishes) + coffee or tea. So it’s very worth it.

Tallest skyscraper in Seoul, and the view from the top is excellent. Due to the crowd there is waiting for around 10 min to get into the elevator. But you go there we can spend how much ever time we want. There are few cafes and restaurants at the 120 floor and above. Even a small shop to buy souvenirs.

Amazing place to visit, if it's a sunny day you can see whole Seoul.
Additional tip: my friends told me that if you visit it during sunset it's even more breathtaking.
There are some bars at the top of the tower (the prices are quite expencive) and a souvenir shop.

When we visited a few years ago it was still under constuction and couldn't go all the way to the top so we did this time. We bought tickets that includes access to 123rd lounge with drinks. World 5th highest tower.
Parking facilities are very convenience to use and indoor facilities are excellent.
Cafes and other restaurants available in the sky tower. The tour up to 123rd floor of the sky tower has an amazing view around all over the Seoul. And when you purchase the package (sky tower + aquarium) of ticket you can have great experience that you have never had. Highly recommended to visit this place near jamsil station.

We visited on a weekend at the beginning of September. It wasn't a holiday or anything, but honestly, it was very easy and quick to enter. Not really needed to buy tickets in advance. If you are into sky rise buildings, this is a great one. I definitely recommend going to the sky bridge experience as well once you are there if you are not afraid of heights. Visiting LOTTE WORLD TOWER was an absolute delight! As one of Seoul's most iconic landmarks, it offers an unparalleled experience that truly captures the essence of modern South Korea. The tower's sleek design and towering presence make it an architectural marvel that's impossible to miss.
Upon entering, you're greeted by a bustling atmosphere filled with shops, restaurants, and entertainment options. The observatory deck, located on the upper floors, provides breathtaking panoramic views of the entire city. From the Han River snaking through Seoul to the distant mountain ranges, every angle offers a stunning vista that's perfect for both locals and tourists alike.
The elevator ride to the top is an experience in itself, with its futuristic design and seamless ascent. Once at the observatory, you can spend hours marveling at the sprawling metropolis below while learning about Seoul's history and landmarks through informative displays.
LOTTE WORLD TOWER isn't just about the view, though. The lower levels house a variety of attractions, including a luxury mall and an aquarium, ensuring there's something for everyone to enjoy. Whether you're a culture enthusiast, a foodie, or a thrill-seeker, this place has you covered.

The entry to the tower is also an awesome experience, I liked the way they presented its history.
Then the lift ride was fascinating with the visuals. At the top here comes the Seoul city view with the Han river. At 550m height, the experience is really worth it.

Amazing view of Seoul city in 360'!
This place has the most impressive view of the city from the 123rd floor. My kids loved it here - and the price wasn't that bad either. Male sure to get a discount by using the lotte credit card before coming to the place.
The only downside I could find the elevator did not have a view out the window - which I thought was a design flaw. They have led screen surrounding the elevator instead of the natural view through the glass.

Lotte World Tower is a great spot to admire panoramic views of Seoul. Compared with N Seoul Tower they are just slightly less spectacular as its location is not so central. The day when I visited was also a bit foggy. The entrance fee could be a bit lower. What is much better compared with N Seoul Tower though is that it's much more spacious and not crowded. I also enjoyed a super fast elevator ride that gives a virtual tour of Seoul.

We bought tickets in advance via Klook, highly recommend unless you want to be waiting in line. Recommend to go in the morning, as afternoon crowds are ridiculous. Super busy. There are multiple food options, we ate at around 1130am at the back section foodcourt and not everything was available until 1pm (someone said), and it was a ticket system where you go and purchase from a DIY ticket machine, select what you want, grab the tickets and head to the allocated store number to collect your food.
The village itself was very interesting, see how the commoners, and noble families lived, some great places to take photos. There's an amusement park for the kids, but make sure to go early to miss the massive ques.

The Korean folk houses and themed village is a large outdoor theme park that showcases the traditional Korean culture and lifestyle. It is located in Yongin, Gyeonggi-do, and has five themed zones: Global Fair, Zoo-Topia, European Adventure, Magic Land, and American Adventure[^1^][1]. The park has various attractions, such as folk houses, workshops, performances, horror houses, and rides.
I visited the park on a cold winter morning in January, and I had a lot of fun. Although most of the rides were closed because of the weather, I still enjoyed the other attractions, especially the horror houses. They were very scary and entertaining, and they gave me a glimpse of the Korean folklore and legends. I also liked the folk houses, which were authentic and beautiful. They showed me how the Koreans lived in different regions and periods of history. The park was massive, and I felt like I was traveling back in time.
I would recommend the Korean folk houses and themed village to anyone who wants to experience the Korean culture and history in a fun and interactive way. It is a great place to visit with family and friends, and to learn something new. I give the park 4 stars out of 5, because it is a good theme park, but it could have more rides open in winter.

No way to get a taxi there, food is not as great as expected… A real bummer for tourists. Otherwise really interesting.

The place is picturesque in all seasons. The village was constructed from relocated buildings so if you want to visit a "real" folk village go to Andong Hahoe Historic village. Never the less it's a great place to try traditional Korean food and drink and the place even has a theme park with rides.

Excellent day out. Lots to see and very educational. Loads of food options and the staff are friendly. We saw some dancing and watched some craftsmen. You can get a wheelchair for a small deposit and the pathways are excellent.

Caribbean Bay is a water park located outside of Seoul, South Korea. It offers both indoor and outdoor attractions including a wave pool, lazy river, kids' play area and thrilling water slides. The giant wave pool is particularly impressive but some rides may be too scary for younger children. During peak times it can get crowded so arriving early in the morning is recommended. While summer is the best time to visit, there are also plenty of indoor activities available during winter season.
I love it. The giant wave is the best. I swam to the end and got taken on a ride in the waves. The rides are amazing but if you have kids, don't force them to ride, many of them are scary. It is outside of Seoul so it might be a long journey because lots of people go to Seoul for lotte world.
Y Kim — Google review
I went there not on the high season, so there is not much people there. Too bad that out of 6-7 rides, only 3 are open, the indoor pool, mega storm, and wave pool. But it was enough to spend a whole day there. I recommend buying ticket in advanced, as I bought it earlier in Trazy and got discount from 55k won to 25k won.
You can't bring anyfood inside, if you do, you have to put it in a locker outside of the waterpark. But don't worry, there are food stalls inside. The payment method they used with baycoin, kind of a prepaid barcode, you can top up the amount from 30k won to 100k won. If there are some money left after, you can refund it. They give out this baycoin with a waterproof bracelets, so it will not disturb your activities.
Overall it was quite fun and efficient. Their facilities are really convenient, they even provide shampoo, soap, body lotion, and skincare in the bathroom for the after shower. I really recommend you to come here at least once.

No. 1 waterpark at Yongin, gyunggido, Korea. Normally, Summer is the best season to visit. However there are many indoor activities inside in winter season as well. On the peak time, it is required to be arrived there at the earlier morinig (6 or 7AM)

Caribbean Bay is an excellent water park with several toys and that caters for all ages. It has several places for snacks and meals. This park is part of the Everland theme group, but you cannot enjoy Everland because they are separate parks. All employees attend you with care and attention. The central beach is certainly the main attraction of the park. The waves are great and the work of the lifeguards ensuring safety is incredible. In my opinion the entrance price could be cheaper but it is certainly worth knowing the place and enjoying all its attractions.

Awesome waterpark! Good facilities and astonishingly spacious inside! Wavy pool is fun but you gotta try attractions as well! During weekends there’s usually a lot of people in the park, so you might need to wait at least for an hour and a half. But still fun! Fun! Fun! My friends really liked it!
David Hong — Google review
It's an extremely crowded water park, but all the facilities are well-equipped. Parking is very convenient and they offer valet parking service for $25. (you should make a reservation in advance.) It is fun enough even when there are too many people, but there is not enough restaurant or cafe inside the park. I recommend you pack your lunch box and store it in the refrigerated locker in front of the main gate. In order to charge your cell phone, you have to bring the cable too. It's a lot better to visit the park on weekdays.

my advice is to visit this place besides weekend or public holidays if you're looking for a full experience. overall, it's a satisfying pool adventure.

So many ppl came here even when I arrived at around 10pm, the main entrance parking lot was already full and I have to park my car at the parking lot no 1 and had to take shuttle bus. When we arrived at the main entrance, we still need to walk about 1km to the main entrance of Carribean Bay. Better bring cart if you can not park at the main entrance parking lot. There is another option, to reserve vallet parking. And you'd better install Carribean Bay application to know the waiting time of the rides. When you buy tickets for Carribean bay, either you buy it from the app, or online from Tmon and the like, the ticket is included free ticket to enter Everland as well! The wave pool is great 👍. Wave pool stop from 40 to 60. I only tried Aqua pool coz the waiting time was the shortest, 60 mins! The food is ok. Enough place for everyone. The ticket is quite expensive actually but if you spend the whole day here, it is worth the price! Remember, you can also stop by Everland as well for free!

199 Everland-ro, Cheoin-gu, Yongin-si, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea
Everland, the largest theme park in Korea, offers visitors a variety of rides, shows, shops and eateries across its five themed zones. Opened in 1976, the park boasts impressive seasonal gardens and a scenic hillside location just 40km south of Seoul. Thrill-seekers can experience the T Express wooden roller coaster which features a near-vertical drop of 45m while younger children will delight in animal attractions, gentle rides and daily parades.
This was my first theme park experience in South Korea and I had a lot of fun! There was so much to do that it is next to impossible to do everything in one day. I really enjoyed checking out all the zoo animals and walking around the park. It was clean, the staff was nice and easy to communicate with (given that I don't know much Korean), and the park was easy and exciting to navigate.
I will definitely be coming back here and seeing more in the future!
Melissa Yingling — Google review
As soon as you enter, you need to do the reservation for the rides that you would like to ride, if not you have to wait until two, so that you can stand in the line for more than hour or two. Why i say this is because many would not like to read the whole review.
It's an amusement park filled with lot of exciting things to see around and do around with friends and family. There are rides that thrills you, rides that amazes, and rides that give you peace of mind. Personally the only ride that is worth visiting this place is T-Express, others too are good but no so much (for me). As mentioned earlier if you don't do the reservation for the rides you want to take, you might end up in wait for minimum of 30-45 standing in line. I spent more than two hours just to ride to attractions because I didn't do the reservation.
It depends upon which time of the year you go, cause the themes change basing on the season. When I went it was Halloween and there was a special performance at 3. Over it's good but, I was not happy with the waiting line. But it's once in a life time experience to visit such places.
Need not to worry about the food they are everywhere, you can just go and buy something for yourself and eat, (I recommend to get it yourself from home for vegetarians)
Any questions just let me know I'll answer if I genuinely know it.

It's an amazing place! Although you have 12 hours to enjoy all the available activities, believe me, you will run out of time and you will probably want to come back again. Lots of entertainment options for all ages. Several dining options and souvenir shops. Worth every penny spent here! Bring your family and friends as everyone will enjoy it. Highly reccomended!

Went here on February 2023. There weren’t that many people (i expected it to be as packed as Lot*e World). Even though everything looked kind of old, the rides are still good, there are thrilling ones & kid-friendly ones. You can also go to the zoo section and see capybara! I would recommend coming here early so you can enjoy all the rides^^

Good theme park. It was kinda cold and rainy, and some attractions were closed due the rain. But there were not many people so the queues were very short and sometimes there were none, so it was perfect. I suggest for you to get a rain coat for the water attractions. From Gangnam there are 2 options of bus 5002A and 5002B.

Just amazing. I request the person reading this review to just go with your eyes closed and when you open it inside everland, I guarantee your amusement.. Thoughtfully designed and layed out. I would recommend you to plan a visit in a weekday, specifically a Wednesday or Thursday.
Weekends have 3 times the crowd as weekdays. All the adventure rides are fun and makes you want more

A really nice outdoor amusement park! I kind of thought of it as a slightly smaller and a Korean version of Disney world! I loved their rides and their animal tour was so cool! I'm definitely going to try and go again! I, personally, loved the T Express, and although it had a huge line wait, it was so worth it! I also loved Thunder Falls but beware! You can get really wet! The amusement park also has an app with a map. You can log into it (or sign up) but if you only want the map, then there is no need to. I actually didn't know they gave out paper maps cause we missed them while coming in but honestly, considering the online version had an updating waiting time and was overall really convenient, I didn't mind it. The experience is really nice overall and I just really enjoyed it so I highly recommend! Oh and they also have a parade right before the park is about to close and it's incredible so I recommend seeing it!

The place is good with a lot of different attractions available. We loved the panda world and txpress. However the lines are very long. You may use their app for booking the attraction to avoid long queue but for limited time and number of people only. 1 ride can take about 1-2hrs of waiting especially the fun rides (safari, t express, panda). Limited seating areas available and more walking required. A good, comfy footwear is a must.
Andresa marie Dagohoy — Google review
Firstly the shuttle bus was a roller-coaster on its own from the transport bus to the gate. I was a little disappointed that an adventure park has seperate booths and entrances for tourists and although I had my qr code ready to enter I was ushered to another line for tourists as well as having the tourists outside booth shut for English maps or assistance from someone internally or externally was a challenge.
One of the first attractions on the left past the stuffed panda is zootopia however when arriving at 10am for the opening of the park I was surprised wasn't opening till 1pm which meant you was forced to go one way.
It would be good if there is a starbucks or similar venue half way at the back of the park as there was 7 snack locations and popcorn venues however we was forced to walk all the way up the hill several times just for food and coffee again as the other coffee shop was shut 1/4 way through.
I noticed that many of the rides had 1 hour waits or longer even though the weather was terrible and yet there is no way for people to escape the line half way through or in sections so people were forcing themselves past people backwards just to escape the line. It would be good if some little escape points were added.
I'm guessing due to the weather the lifts at zootopia where not running however it would also be a good thing on the days that it's not running to have a buggy or similar available to transport the elderly or disabled people up the 800metre steep hill.
Apart from that there are signs of wear and tear that would be good for the building maintenance to perform. Most the food and drinks were ok and the highlight of the day was the zoo tour guide I seen, although I couldn't understand her at all she seemed to do her job well. The facilities were clean so keep up the good work..

A very nice amusement park in Korea. Open all year round. Even during the winter, there are multiple events and activities for all ages. Not a Disneyland or Universal Studio. Everland is a unique Korean theme park. The best experience about Everland is its surroundings. It is located in the middle of a beautiful mountain scenery. The walk around the Everland was second to none. When you look up, you are surprised how gorgeous the surrounding mountains are. The rides were ok but too short. Don't miss the nightly parade and the fireworks show at the end. And much cheaper than what you would pay at Disneyland.

amazing experience & the food is pretty good :) doesn’t compare to theme parks & the rides in USA to be honest but the cleanliness / discounted price / food / and decorations made up for it. The rides are lackluster but on the plus side if you go during winter , there are little to no lines !

Mixed experience. 1. Long queues for almost every ride. 2. Upto 2 pm rides also have appointment based entry - this is not mentioned anywhere. 3. Very confusing layout - not very clear from the maps as well. 4. Safari/Jungle region closes at 4 pm. This is also not mentioned anywhere. We missed it completely since this area is near the exit and we went there at the end around 5 pm

Yongin Dae Jang Geum Park is a renowned tourist destination in Korea that features outdoor film sets exhibiting buildings from the Samguk, Goryeo, and Joseon periods. It is known as the largest historical drama open set in Korea and offers visitors a chance to experience popular K-pop dances and choreography through its K-pop Dance Studio Class. This place is loved by those who have an interest in Korean history and drama.
So much fun exploring the sets of many historical K dramas, this place is really well built and you could easily spend 2-3hrs exploring all the sets and taking lots of pictures. You can even sit on the throne and see what it feels like to be a king

Plenty of brands and luxury products. Prices are still relatively high. Very crowded on weekends, including queues for popular outlets - best to avoid, especially if driving back and forth from Seoul. Lack of beverages available throughout the mall.

Guideline to purchase the express bus tickets to get here.
Buy tickets at express bus terminal. There is no counter service. So have to purchase from the machines. Therefore, no one can advise you what to do. But after you figure it out, it's very straightforward.
Alternatively, purchase online as per the QR code image that i had attached in. The bus depart at every 1hour. And it takes 1hr 10mins. Then wait at platform 29 for the bus and scan QR codes to get up.
I didnt buy my return tickets online. I purchased my return tickets together at the bus terminal. But there is a machine here(at premium outlet) or use QR code to buy return tickets. Tickets wont be available, prior 1 hour before departures time. And you can choose where you prefer to sit. One way tickets is 6,400won. Pick up is the same as where the bus drop off.
Personally, i like this premium outlet. It has lululemon as compared with other outlet malls. But discount isn't fantastic to be honest.
You can refer to website to find out your preferred stores. Avoid weekends. Cos a lot of locals shop here and you dont see a lot of foreigners. There is a food court here, with a good selection of food.
This place is huge! With east wing and west wing. There is a map but only in Korean.
I will definitely return here again.

Independence Hall of Korea is a museum that showcases Korean history and the country's independence movements under Japan's colonization. The exhibits are well curated and presented in both Korean and English. Visitors can also experience a 4D theater. Entry to the museum is free, and there is ample parking space available for up to 2,000 vehicles.
This was a great park and museum, very well done, informative and entertaining! This monument to independence was a great reminder of what the independence of a nation can and does mean! Coming from a country myself where our Independence is celebrated fervently, I am happy to see how proud and meaningful it is to South Korea as well! The exhibits were well thought out, cleverly done in places, and take you linearly through the independence movement and history of the great nation of South Korea! Kudos to the designers with interactive, educational, and historically significant moments captured vividly, expressing the emotion involved with the strife associated with gaining one's own independence for their nation! Kids and adults alike can learn and be taken aback by the spectacle of what it means to be FREE!

The place I will introduce is the Independence Hall in Cheonan, which literally shows the process of Korea becoming independent.
The admission fee is 2,000 won and it is not just an exhibition of relics, but an experience method using images and models, The independence process of our country is divided into zones, so you can see only the parts you want to see, or you can see them one by one.
In addition, the Independence Hall can be joined by all ages, and there is a large square inside and outside the hall, so it is good for people who come with children to play.
I felt like I was looking at this place and looking at a Korean history book, I think the history of our country shines so brightly that history cannot be missed to promote Korea.
If you want to learn more about Korea, I recommend you visit this place!

The Independence Hall of Korea stands as a poignant testament to the nation's tumultuous history, particularly during the period of Japanese colonial rule. Located in Cheonan, this museum meticulously chronicles Korea's arduous journey to independence, showcasing a rich array of artifacts and exhibits. The carefully curated displays offer a profound insight into the sacrifices and resilience of those who fought for freedom. The architectural grandeur of the hall adds a solemnity that complements the gravity of the historical narrative. The Independence Hall of Korea looks mesmerizing and ecstatically beautiful the day we went there. It was totally covered with snow. No matter how far your eyesight 👁️ goes , you will see only snow, snow and snow. For a moment i felt like i am in some kind of snow festival area. The place is quite and calming. Mountains and trees were covered with snow.
Now I have a habit of searching about places and researching about them before i go there. I see the reviews and the pictures and everything so that my money, time and energy doesn’t go to waste. So I searched about this place and i saw a couple of pictures and the place seems to me beautiful but the pictures are of different season and there’s no winter pictures, so at first i was scared whether we should go there or not in winter but i am glad we made the decision of taking the risk of going there. To my amazement we did right. It was beautiful!
Now coming to the inside of the Hall there are a number of halls, it was a huge complex so we were able to see only 6 halls. The pictures and videos you can watch below👇🏻
The place has a huge parking lot with 2000-3000 korean won. And the entrance fee to the Hall is free free free😎

An amazing land dedicated to the Independence of the Korea Country. I would imagine that this goes for both North and South Korea. You go through many different buildings that show the history and importance of the independence that Korea has gained from Japan and China. The land itself is just beaultiful to see. And they have 815 South Korean flags to signify that importance of August 18 the Korean Liberation day. Definitly make your way there if you get the chance.

Sangdang Sanseong Fortress is an ancient compound nestled in the mountainous landscape, featuring stunning gardens, a serene lake and fortified walls that offer panoramic views of the city. This architectural marvel can be reached by embarking on an enjoyable 3.4 km hike from Cheongjuland that takes around 30-40 minutes to complete. While the initial kilometer of the trek may be relatively steep, it eventually leads to a normal walking path spanning 2-3 km.
It's a nice scenic hike. Nothing spectacular, but nice enough to see the view of the city. It took roughly an hour to go around depending on how many stops you make. Definitely wear runners and active wear as I did not do that. Make sure to stay away during the rainy season as it can get dangerous.

Andong Hahoe Folk Village is a UNESCO World Heritage site that represents the traditional Korean way of life during the Joseon Dynasty. Visitors can witness various crafts, including mask-making, and get a glimpse into countryside village life. It is recommended to visit during off-season to avoid crowds and fully appreciate the bucolic charm of the village. For a bird's-eye view of the area, one can cross the river or drive to Buyongdae Cliff.
I love the atmosphere at Hahoe so much. I can feel the wind brings scent of paddy field spreading everywhere. I can hear the laughs of children playing folk games. Here is so peaceful and calm 😌
If you love exploring ancient village in Korea and want to know life in rural, so go to Hahoe village. This small 600 years old village in Andong has everything you want ^^

I've been fortunate to feel like I travelled in time when visiting Hahoe. We had a local volunteer guide, a wonderful English-speaking guide that gave us great information into Korean traditions, architecture and history. I recommend asking for a guide at the information point next to the bus shuttle.

<My impressive visit to Hahoe and Yangdong village>
I would like to tell about my experience visiting Hahoe and Yangdong village, which are registered as world heritage sites. It is located in Andong, and Gyeongju respectively. They show the natural beauty of mountains, trees and rivers around the village. Looking at these beautiful scenery, I felt calm and relaxed.
I learned that a wooden house and seowon school where a noble man lived appeared around the village. They are the representative elements of the clan village and the Confucianism during the Joseon dynasty.
Also, I found that two villages took the form of Baesanimsu, a representative village of the Joseon. I was surprised by the shape of terrain where the river flows in front and the mountains in the back.
In Hahoe village, people played a traditional game called 하회 별신굿 탈놀이. The game was very exciting and entertaining for me. Looking at it, I felt like I wanted to join in. Watching the Korean traditional game is an impressive experience for me.
It's worth visiting for knowing our history and enjoying the traditional game. I recommend you to visit with your family or friends because here is many things to see and enjoy. If you visit Gyeongsangbuk-do, I really recommend you to visit these two historical villages!

Nice traditional village, isolated from modern buildings. It's a bit far away from the city, and the bus we took to get there (210) has a very low frequency. Thus, in the end, our visit took us the whole day.

Beautiful and definitely worth going!
If you’re able to, go during the weekend, from 2 to 3pm there is a traditional mask performance which is amazing.
The performance is obviously in korean, but there is some things translated it on a screen.
The performers interact with the public and it is fun.
I recommend spending the whole day there (From around 1pm to 6pm, the sun hours in winter)
There’s a free admission mask museum which i’d recommend doing as the last thing.
The entrance to the village is 3,000₩ for adults

Took Uber from Andong downtown, cost about 12 euros, they dropped us off at the ticket office (5000 won for foreigners) , which also has the free shuttle bus to the village (about 1 km away). The village had cafes and souvenir shops and bikes available for rent. Was nice to walk around.
There is a 4km hike through the fields and the forest to Byeongsan-seowon a neo-confucian academy (one of 16 in S. Korea, all-together with the UNESCO world cultural heritage status). We were stupid enough to do this with a stroller. Doable but it's not easy. The entry to the academy is free. And views are stunning. We didn't meet a single other person the whole way.
We couldn't find an Uber or taxi on the other side already at 5 pm. The last Bus departs at 15:30. Luckily, we found a family to drive us to town. Most tourists on this side were locals.

A historic village in Korea. Keep in mind this is a real village with residents still living there and farming the surrounding area, not just an isolated tourist attraction. The village shops and restaurants were mostly closed when I went in March 2022, so you may consider eating elsewhere. Luckily the golf cart rentals are currently forbidden, so be prepared to walk. The village is a decent size but easily walkable. Very enjoyable to see a side of historic Korea instead of the city or modern rural villages.

A unique cultural experience that left a mark on us. Outside of the city rhythm of life, the village conveys a mood and feeling that originates from different times. Spend a couple of nights at the village, try to get accustomed to the routine there and you will not regret it. I would also recommend having a nice coffee from the wonderful gentleman Mr Kim Gi Young at the entrance of the village on the left.

Andong Hahoe Village is famous for Hahoe Mask Dancing, which is one of Korea's intangible cultural treasures. You can experience the authentic village culture by visiting Hahoe Mask Village. Additionally, there's a world Mask museum featuring various masks from different countries. A bus from Andong station to Hahoe Mask Village runs once an hour. Try to arrive there in the morning for the best experience.

Nice folk village which was set around a magical 600 year old tree that’s said to grant wishes.
Would have been a 5 if visited during the masked festival.
The village was visited in 1999 by H.R.M. Queen Elizabeth II and there’s a pine tree that’s commemorative of that occasion.

We arrived pretty late (5:30pm) so the ticket office was closed. We went on foot from the parking, around 10min walk in the forest.
The village was empty and most activities closed by that time, but we enjoyed simply walking around, admiring the houses and the panorama.
If you want to enjoy the activities and visit the different houses, I would recommend coming earlier in the day!

I recently had the opportunity to visit the Hahoe Mask Museum in Andong, Korea, and I must say that it was a truly fascinating and memorable experience. This museum stands as a testament to the rich cultural heritage of Korea, specifically the tradition of mask-making.
The museum itself is housed in a traditional, quaint building, which perfectly complements the serene surroundings. As soon as you enter, you are greeted by friendly staff members who are knowledgeable and enthusiastic about explaining the intricacies of the masks on display.
The collection of masks at the Hahoe Mask Museum is exceptional. It showcases an impressive variety of masks, with each one embodying its own unique character and story. From the brightly colored, exaggerated expressions to the more subtle and mysterious designs, there is something for everyone to appreciate and admire.
Another highlight of my visit was the outdoor theater where traditional mask performances were held. Watching the skilled performers bring the masks to life through intricate dance and storytelling was truly captivating. It was a rare opportunity to witness the masks being used in their intended context, and it added an extra layer of authenticity to the whole experience.
Overall, the Hahoe Mask Museum in Andong, Korea, is a must-visit attraction for anyone interested in Korean culture and history. The combination of a beautiful location, extensive mask collection, interactive exhibits, and live performances make it a truly immersive and educational experience. Whether you are a seasoned mask enthusiast or simply curious about this unique art form, this museum will leave you with a newfound appreciation for the traditions and customs of Korea.

Bomun Tourist Complex is the international tourist district of Gyeongju.
This tourist district is formed with Bomunho Lake at its center, located about 10 kilometers east of downtown Gyeongju.
The area spans approximately 8,000 km², and contains an international-scale luxurious hotel, family-friendly condos, golf range, and pleasant walking passages that are designed to suit the diverse needs of tourists.
The tourist complex attracts crowds of visitors in April, when cherry blossoms are in full bloom.
The sight of cherry blossoms around Bomunho Lake and Bulguksa Temple are popular even among domestic travelers.
I went on December, winter season, it’s not the best time to visit.

The pictures of the lake on the Internet doesn't really paint a complete picture of the lake. Learned from locals that the lake is only nice during certain periods of the year, particularly spring around Jan to Mar.
Skip this place in summer because not only there is not much to see or do around the lake during this period, the weather is also sweltering hot, reaching almost 40° Celsius.
There is a trail surrounding the lake that you can walk on to admire the view, but the beautiful bridge only works when the whole lake is filled. Cafes and other amenities dot the place too, while there are many big chains of hotels around. Some of the shops only open during the peak periods.
Not as magical as what the internet portrayed during my visit here.
Luke Phang — Google review
I came here as a cyclist as I had understood I could cycle around the lake. This isn't the case, bikes cannot use the two tracks around the lake, instead cyclists are relegated to a bike lane on a big busy road. So, I'd say it's rubbish for cyclists and what little I did see if the lake was over-developed.

Constructed in 774, the Buddhist temple complex situated on Mount Toham boasts two pagodas. The location is breathtaking with a serene maple-tree setting that enhances the beauty of its stunning buildings designed with impressive roofing beams. Although it attracts many tourists, who flock to admire its architectural marvels and attend active prayers performed by worshippers, it still maintains a tranquil atmosphere.

Find it quite cheeky that they charge for parking and then charge you again for entrance. They also upped the pensioner age to 70 instead of 65 like other places.
But after going into the gardens, one is met with a beautiful pond with trees all round. The gardens are beautiful! The temples are well kept and walking around the area is relaxing with lovely scenery all around.

A gorgeous temple with several different places to pray or meditate, fair warning: no photos may be taken inside. We got to see women wrapping up fruit in piles to be placed on the altars as offerings which was very cool, although the taping sound was kind of funny inside an otherwise peaceful temple. There is a fair amount of walking and stairs so comfortable shoes are a good idea, and there is a beautiful lake that would be an excellent picnic spot, or just a nice place to rest.

Nestled amidst the rolling hills of Gyeongju, this hallowed site exudes a timeless allure that captivated me from the very first moment.
The history of Bulguksa is simply enthralling. Its origins stretch back centuries, each stone whispering tales of bygone eras. As I wandered through its courtyards, I couldn't help but sense the weight of time, a humbling and awe-inspiring experience.
And the aesthetics, oh my! The architecture is exquisite, a harmonious blend of intricate craftsmanship and understated elegance. The interplay of wood, stone, and vibrant paintwork creates a feast for the eyes. And let us not forget the natural beauty that surrounds Bulguksa – verdant hills and whispering pines provide a breathtaking backdrop.

Bulguksa Temple, situated near Gyeongju in South Korea, is a masterpiece of ancient Korean architecture and spirituality. Designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this temple embodies the essence of Buddhist art and culture from the Silla dynasty.

Watatsumi Shrine on Watatsumi Island is a must-visit spot in Tsushima. The shrine offers unique experiences such as trekking up to the mountain shrine, kayaking at high tide, and enjoying the island's characteristic flower, the Rhododendron mucronulatum ciliatum from mid-March to early April.
Words fail me for the nature of this jinja so I'll describe what we did. We made it a point to visit at low tide so we could walk out. Made it as far as the 2nd torii. We offered a prayer at the shine then visited the tomb of the princess.

However, the manager’s behavior towards visitors who are unaware of this policy is unacceptable. As mentioned, I had no idea of this policy and decided to visit this temple. While trying to park my car, the manager approached me and yelled at me in Japanese and Korean, using TAMEKUCHI, which is considered impolite. Although I can speak Japanese and could have argued with him, I was at a loss for words as no Japanese person had ever spoken to me like that before.

The Mt. Kagamiyama West Observation Deck offers panoramic views of Karatsu Bay and the Niji No Matsubara Pine Grove. Positioned atop a hill, it is accessible by car due to steep and winding roads. The deck provides an awe-inspiring vista of Karatsu City and the sea, making it a popular destination for locals who come to watch sunsets or enjoy picnics in the surrounding area. Visitors can also explore different parts of Mt.
Great view. It is the best place to observe the Karatsu city and oceans. There is a large parking lot located in entrance, and all facilities in here are clean.

The view is nice!
Walk from the top parking lot!
There is an observatory at the end of a small square.
It's a bit of a walk, but with this view, let's do our best 🫠
You can see Niji no Matsubara right in front of you! !
The view from the observation deck is also great! ! \(^o^)/
The observatory is a terrace specification, so it is also shaded and the view is good. There is power, too, and feeling is the best!
① However, the route to the summit is an artificial uneven road surface.
② There is no empty can box in the parking lot or vending machines near the observatory.
➜ Walking ➜ I want to drink
➜Take home empty cans
➜I feel good about other tourist spots. 🙂
➜ No repeats.
This is my personal opinion.
The superb view is worth seeing!

Located on top of the hill. It’s more convenient to come here by car since the roads are really steep and curvy. The view was breathtaking! You could see Karatsu City plus the sea from the deck. It’s definitely a hotspot for local to see sunset or just have some picnic since the surrounding area are quite big. You could walk around and go different parts of the Mt.Kagamiyama Park plus there’s a Shrine nearby too that you could visit. Definitely worth the visit. Please be aware that it can get quite windy on top of the deck.

Unfortunately it was a cloudy sky, but the scenery is the best. The road to the parking lot of Kagamiyama Park has a series of curves, but the road is wide enough, so access is good. I couldn't see the observatory from the parking lot, so I didn't know at first. A short walk to the observatory.
But the view after that is refreshing.

This park is a quiet with a wealth of nature and easy to visit, not so far from central Karatsu city. There are sidewalks, shrines, observatories, some little historical sites and toilets throughout this large park so I could enjoy walking around comfortably. If it’s sunny, I’d recommend.

It's a great place to experience sunset! You have both mountains and sea in your view. You can see the Kartsu Castle from here. There are gift shop, pottery shop and a Udon shop here. You have to park your car a bit far from the main observatory. It's a 5 minute walk. You will enjoy and remember the view of the nature from here, for the rest of your life. Going here, @ sunset time is highly recommended.

Great place to enjoy fresh air in pine forest and the sunset. There is a story about the mountain. In the time of Emperor Senka in 6th century Princess Sayo had affair with the warlord Sadehiko. At the time of leaving of Sadehiko to Korean peninsula, Sayo climbed up to the top of Kagamiyama mountain and waved her shawl until the ship was at the sights. So romantic! ha!

It's difficult to get without transportation. But we managed to walk along the road like 10 km total to get up and down. It worth it. Need to be aware of the time, have to get down before sunset if you're walking cause it will become very dark.

From Kagamiyama you get an overwhelming view over Karatsu bay with the 8km long pine forest. Many historical information is written in English. There is a shrine, some shops, a Cafe, a little pond, an azalea garden - and even a tourist information near at the parking lot.
This place deserves your visit!
Mifuneyama Rakuen is a vast 500,000 square meter garden adorned with an array of flowers, teahouse and statues showcasing the 500 followers of Buddha. While the staff is friendly and welcoming, it might not be suitable for wheelchair users due to its terrain that requires some walking. It's ideal for those who enjoy physical activity and appreciate picturesque views.
I really enjoyed visiting here. I managed to secure so many beautiful pictures and videos. The staff are so kind and smile a lot. The area has a little bit of walking, but walking is really good for your body and helps you be healthy. I do not believe this place would be accessible for anyone wheelchair bound. It also wouldn't be very preferred if you don't like being active.

I visited at evening.
It is very wonderful place.
However you must have your own car because local access is very difficult.
Santosh Shrestha — Google review
Admission fee is 600 yen now. There are only limited bus services to and from the garden, making it quite inconvenient to get there if not on self-drive travel. The scene is not as beautiful as expected. Taking into account of the limited public transport to the garden, it is not recommended to visit there.

this place is difficult to get to without a car so you need to get a taxi from the train station. i got the sauna + teamlab combo ticket. sadly their exhibit here is very underwhelming compared to the other ones like in tokyo. the indoor exhibit inside the hotel was few and far in between. half of the showcases were tucked in the far corner of the hotel building in an under construction area so it was a mess and dirty walking between the three showrooms… as for the outdoor park showcase…there’s not much to see until it gets dark then you can see the different lights and a couple installations scattered here and there. the signs to file the path are not that clear and when it’s dark, everything is so hard to see and navigate… i was very very disappointed overall visiting here and the tickets were expensive too. the sauna inside the hotel was nice but small…for the effort and the price i don’t think it’s worth coming all the way here just to visit this place. especially without the flowers blooming, this park is pretty average with regular greenery.

Nice place if you enjoy the nature. It’s so beautiful although we went in February with cold weather and most plants are not flourishing. It’s a very nice place for one to enjoy the clam natural environment for two to three hours. From the photos the friendly owner of the souvenir shop showed us, I believe mid April to late May will be a better time to visit this lovely place.

Great park for a good walk in autumn leaves. Red Japanese maples in November and azalea bushes around April make the park a natural beauty. Night lighting inside the park is fascinating. Day and night tickets are available separately. Two parking on both sides of the park makes it convenient for traveling with cars. Buss services are available to take guests from the parking to the entrance. At the top of the hill, don't forget to enjoy hot “Manju” and green tea. Be careful of the steps, don't break your ankle.

A beautiful garden full of seasonal flowers. We visited during cherry blossom season, but before full bloom. I felt it really came alive at night with the illuminations. There is also a teamLab exhibition tucked in the hillside that connects with a hotel there. The art is beautiful and worth seeing if you enjoy other similar exhibitions. At first I was shocked that the building seemed so dirty, but it's supposed to be a Ruins exhibition. Also, it's on the smaller side, but I felt the price reflected that. Probably easiest access by car, but there was free parking. I would love to come back and see the azaleas in full bloom, the photos look beautiful.

If you have plans to visit here, make sure you wear comfortable shoes or sneakers because it is a long walk, embrace the nature vibe, and if you're looking forward to the best lights experience... you must visit after sunset or a little dark so that you will appreciate the beauty of the lights attaching to the beauty of trees.

Pleasant garden grounds, featuring a quaint bit murky pond, plus a grand mountain face overseeing proceedings within the garden below. Team Lab collaboration currently on, but only seems to be at night, and even the day time exhibition in the bathhouse ruins was closed. There’s a significant walk to a sacred tree on the east side, with the forest path being pretty narrow and somewhat insecure in places, all to end in not very much.

Takeo City Library is a popular tourist spot in Takeo City, known for its modern building and unique features. The library underwent a major renovation in 2013 and now houses a Tsutaya bookstore and even a Starbucks, making it stand out from traditional libraries. Visitors have described the space as more akin to a large bookstore rather than a typical public library. It has been recognized as one of the most beautiful libraries globally, featuring an iconic elongated curved bookshelf on the second floor.
This is one of the most charming public libraries in Japan!
If you come to Takeo don’t miss the opportunity to spend an afternoon in this library. It is a great place to relax and read while your favorite Starbucks drink.
They also have a small selection of English fairytales!
Liliana Zilka — Google review
First time seeing a public library with a Starbucks inside it! The space does not look like any public library I've ever seen as it had the feels of a really large bookstore, which might be the case because I think they partnered with a well-known bookstore chain in Japan to develop their public space. I have to say I was impressed. The only regret I had was not asking where their selection of English books were.
Jose Ryan Pelongco — Google review
Saw this library in the list of most beautiful libraries in the world. I haven’t really been to any and this is the first one. Indeed it was beautiful. I don’t know though if it’s worth it to travel all the way just to see the library and eat/drink Starbucks. Ahaha. But what I did was also go to Takeo Onsen. That way, travelling to Takeo itself becomes a proper trip.

Definitely a cool place to stop in and check out. Renovated in 2013, it’s the first Japanese library with a cafe (Starbucks) and they have partnered with Tsutaya books to sell books, magazines and gifts. The Saga Castle History Museum is a well-presented attraction that features a reconstructed main keep of the original castle built in 1838. As one of Japan's largest wooden reconstructions, it showcases maps, models, and hands-on exhibits from the last years of the Edo Period. The museum provides access to historic exhibitions about local history, nature, key figures and life depicting among others.
It's sad that saga castle did not survive the passing of time, the years of neglect, and the numerous fire incidents that eventually brought it down. This museum however encapsulate a great deal of the history surrounding the castle and the region of Saga. A lot of valuable national treasures are enclosed here and valuable history on the first vaccination in Japan, innovations in railway, and the first most advanced school on western education in Japan. The heritage of the Naomasa clan lives on and I am in awe of the history of this place which largely goes unnoticed by most Japanese folks today. Also, a particularly interesting activity to partake in is the digital photography in fictional outfits of the Edo era, the outfits are selected randomly and I was lucky to get the Samurai outfit ^_^

Yoshinogari Historical Park is a vast archaeological complex showcasing ancient ruins, artifacts, and reconstructed huts. The park comprises an entrance zone with video facilities and restaurants, a southern wing where high-level individuals are believed to have lived, a northern wing associated with the Kuni festival, a bunker settlement zone spanning approximately 20 hectares and featuring three areas, and the Ancient Hara Zone offering various recreations.
Great outdoor museum showing old Yayoi-period houses; it is possible to go inside some of the houses to see daily life exhibits. Entertaining and educating. Large area; be sure to carry a bottle of water in summer. There is a shuttle bus which drops/picks visitors to avoid long walks. Staff were super friendly.

Pretty awesome collection of Japanese prehistory. Many of the explanations are in English and park entrance/parking fees are real cheap. It's an extremely large area. The train is about the same distance from Yoshinogari Koen Station or Kanzaki Station. I want to be prepared to walk steadily. It feels good when the weather is nice. You can learn about jar coffins. The experience center is also fun.

Very interesting. I travelled from Kurume, Fukuoka. This village had fun activities for families to do e.g. make your own magatama which takes 1 hour (I thought I could do it quicker but no, I couldn't). There was also a festival here the day I went so keep that in mind if when visiting. Otherwise, I don't think theres many food options apart from a restaurant/cafe at the beginning.

This area may not be considered as big of a tourist spot, but it has some unique areas.
This archaeological site has been recreated painstakingly to show how the ancient people lived back then. For example, where the villagers kept their food, weapons and where they buried the dead.
Despite being a little remote, this park is definitely a real deal!

The park is way bigger than one would expect (maybe) and if you love history, certainly make your way out here. They even have workshops and I loved the one I joined because I love stones. Seeing the Yayoi life in the past was a good experience. You can walk around the park to check out the old houses and the ancient burial. There is a roving bus. There’s a big part of the park that’s good for kids (or so the guide at the community center told me because I didn’t explore that part). Worth visiting!

Tosu Premium Outlets is a contemporary shopping center that offers a vast selection of international brand-name items at discounted prices. Unlike other premium outlets, such as Tokyo/Kobe and Gotemba, Tosu Premium Outlets is less crowded and more relaxed, making it an enjoyable shopping experience for anyone. With its spacious layout and numerous brand options, shoppers can easily spend hours browsing through the various stores.
A nice place to take a walk. It has about 170 brands and a huge food court. Bargains for Nike, adidas quite ok. Tosu premium outlet can be reached via JR train from Hakata train station to Tosu station, then take bus 20 across the street, which departs hourly to reach Tosu Premium outlet. There are more public buses operating during Saturdays and Sundays, compared to weekdays.

This outlet is large and has many options. They range from shoe brand shops to clothing outlets to confectionery. There is also a food court with restaurants such as Ippudo. However, the food court is very crowded and it is hard to find an area to sit. However, I still think it is a great outlet and I recommend people to come here.

Not all stores offered genuinely appealing bargains! Some of them was so obviously out-of-dated as stores only took a fraction of discount out of the original price-tag! The dining choices were almost limited!

Tosu Premium Outlet is highly recommended to those who enjoy shopping! The easiest way to get to the outlet from Fukuoka city is by bus. The bus departs from Nishitetsu Tenjin Expressway Bus Terminal and the journey is approximately an hour. The return bus fare is very reasonable but there is only one trip on weekdays.
There are some very good bargains for a few brands like Levis, Coach, Kate-Spade, and Adidas but in general, the discounts from most stores are not great. Some of the items and handbags are rather out of season. There are over 100 stores in this premium outlet and a few good hours are definitely needed just to visit half of the shops.
There is a clean and comfortable food court located within the premium outlets and apart from Japanese food, Korean & fusion cuisine is available. There is also a Baskin-Robbins in the food court. Weekdays are the best to visit and it is never crowded at all!

Decent factory outlet, don't expect rock bottom pricing here, but just decent value discounted off season clothes.
Good outlets are: Helly Hansen / North Face, Adidas, New Balance, Nike, Crocs (only the ones on discount). Some others are jokes and have nothing really on discount.
Snap up the stuff fast at Helly Hansen once it opens! Dine at the food court! Great chain japanese food there.

Had a great time in Tosu Premium Outlet,
- there’s bus No.20 to Tosu station,
- and bus No.30 to Yayoigaoka station,
- both about 15-20mins wait,
- there’s taxi there too, but I recommend the bus it’s just 200-280yen dirt cheap,
There’re restaurants and food court too, I recommend the food court because the queue is not that long and the food is cheaper, I ate around 2pm and the crowd is still there, don’t recommend to eat at 12pm you need to queue really long,
- the selection at BAPE is really limited if you’re going Tosu premium outlet for this, all sizes probably S-M, hardly L, the coach pricing wise is slightly more expensive than US premium outlets, but there’s more stocks compared to US, and the quality that they took care of the products is superb, you can drop by FrancFranc too lotsa furnitures and stuff you can buy there, Mr.Tanabe from Coach Men is awesome, there’s GAP and SEIKO, I took a photo of the map and list of shops, do take a look

YANAGAWA TACHIBANA-TEI OHANA is a luxurious hotel that offers stylish rooms with tatami mats and a casual restaurant along with a beautiful garden. The location is serene, and the town of Yanagawa is picturesque with its small-town charm. Guests can enjoy traditional Japanese-style rooms, with higher floors being preferred.
Situated right near where the boat ride ends, Yanagawa Tachibana-Tei Ohana is really a great place to visit even for a meal. We didn't stay in the hotel, but we did book a private room at their restaurant (which you will need a reservation for). We stayed one night in a big spacey room. The view was amazing looking right at the gardens, it was wonderful to chill on the sofa while drinking up the view. The room smelled a bit strange, I wonder if it is because of all the wood I could not place the smell. We could go to a nearby bath house for free, very convenient and not crowded. The staff was very helpful and the location is just perfect. I don't think you can find a more beautiful hotel in Yanagawa. You can get on a boat right in front of the hotel, too.

We stayed just two nights but wished that we could stay longer. Very welcoming and attentive service. We had our young daughter and the staff were all understanding and accommodating, in addition to regular help with everything. The location is quiet, and Yanagawa is quite scenic with small town charm. We stayed in the Japanese style room. The higher floor is much better if you are able to book it. We enjoyed the package with both dinner and breakfast. Both are served in the restaurant. The kaiseki dinner they serve is very tasty and substantial, and really appropriate for this price range.

The Mikumagawa Park offers a tranquil and serene atmosphere, perfect for a peaceful getaway. It is frequented by many local residents who engage in morning jogs here. Visitors are also drawn to the park at night for its scenic river walk and captivating night views. Although initially unable to locate a public car park, there is now one conveniently situated near the alternative entrance. The location has been submitted to Google Maps, ensuring future visitors can benefit from this added convenience.
(Translated by Google) Irresponsible people say things like "barbecue fireworks are OK," but that's a big lie. Although it's prohibited, it's just unfortunate people who take advantage of the fact that it's in a secluded area.
This is a calm park with great scenery and a place where older people can take a leisurely stroll, so I don't want strange people to come. It's also perfect for a picnic with the family. The restrooms are also clean.
The only drawback is that there is no parking lot. It might be a good idea to park at Kameyama Park and walk. The road you walk up to is also nice.

The park is calm and peaceful. I saw a lot of locals jogging here in the morning. I have tried to enter this park at night for the river walk and night view. However, it sad tht i cant find the public car park. Therefore, i left and come back again on the next morning. Then, i find a public car park near the other side of entrance. I have submitted this car park to google map and hopefully they will approve it the soonest possible for others conveniences.

(Translated by Google) The area around the Mikuma River is a great walking course. The Hita River Tourism Festival is held in May, and the town of Hita is very lively. The parade by elementary school students in the city is also very good. At night, a fireworks display is held even though it's a bit chilly.
I hope it will be held successfully this year. I hope it will return to its former bustle soon.

It is said that in the Hita region, fishermen have long had a custom of catching sweetfish by launching cormorants from their boats. Maybe that's why I was able to see a lot of cormorants by the river.
