Mine
Guided tours of a precious stone mine, with a souvenir shop & a park themed around Guarani myths.
We are from the United States and really liked the mine tour. One of the guides speaks English which were were grateful for. He gave us a really nice tour. The shop is very nice with items at all price points. We hired a taxi from Puerto Iguazu who drove us to mine, waited, and returned us to Puerto Iguazu.
Greg and Susie Johnson — Google review
The mines were OK. It takes about 5 minutes to go through the mines. You are told about the different rocks originating from the mine by the guide. There are food shops and a touristy souvenir shop close by. If you want to get cheaper souvenirs, without the touristy inflation, try going just outside the mines, the locals sometimes have stalls and sell things cheaper.
Alena Leychenko — Google review
Interesting place. You can access the mines that are only at floor level. Nice collection of geodes.
The are a nice restaurant close.

This was one of the first places we visited on our trip, and it was worth the drive. Gonzalo the tour guide, was incredibly patient with our son and did his best to include him throughout the visit. The gift shop at the end is lovely, if a little bit pricey considering we were at the mines.
Nathalie Molina — Google review
Beautiful and the guide was super friendly. Only 800 to get in (probably like 2k when you read this thanks to arg inflation) and a tip for the guide is optional. So pretty cheap. Definitely recommend

Don't buy any jewelry there ... they told me it cots 85 dollars but they took 150 Euro of my card ....
It's defective a nice place to see but not to be trusted by buying jewelry!!!!!!!

Interesting and informative tour. Nice guide. Do not let the "Minas Terra Colorada" people outside the entrance redirect you to their "mine". It is not the real deal.

We loved our geode mine tour with Diana. The shop has a tremendous selection of decor items, jewelry, and gifts.

Had to register in the website and pay minimal fee, R$20~. Went here around 11AM. From the gate of the park, have to drive around 15km more to the parking lot near the salto. There are 2 trilhas, Trilha Salto do Yucumã (around 500m to the salto itself) and Trilha da Onça (1.5km around/back to the parking lot).
The water was a bit high in the salto, could barely see the falls since it just rained and the dam released some water.

They are a few kilometers, the best thing to do with an excursion or a taxi driver takes you and brings 4 people (it is economically convenient, it also stops when you want)

(Translated by Google) The Saltos del Moconá Provincial Park is a beautiful protected area that protects a beautiful portion of the jungle. It has several trails that are very interesting to explore and discover birds and plants that can only be seen in that region of Misiones.
The excursion navigated the falls was not good, there is a long wait until you finally get on the boat and the duration is very short. Practically nothing is explained during the experience, you simply navigate and after about 15 minutes you return. Unfortunately it is the only way to access the jumps and honestly it is an experience that needs improvement if you want to compare it with what the Iguazú National Park offers.

We took the Biosphere route, some incredible landscapes, it's a shame that it is not designed for tourism. It is a difficult route, but beautiful. Not suitable for vehicles, only trucks

Walk of approximately 200 meters along the river, enjoying the beautiful waterfalls and the Uruguay River. We grew up, and the jumps were approximately 2 meters, but they usually reach 10
The Park has Restrooms and a Restaurant.
In addition, it has trails to enjoy the views.
We went from Puerto Iguazú and it took us about 4 hours, BUT IT WAS WORTH EVERY KILOMETER!!!

Consejo, Tanque lleno!
After perusing the inspiring teachings of prophet Daniel, a profound sense of tranquility washed over me. Entranced by an inexplicable inner guidance, I ventured into the majestic Angelopolitan Cathedral. Its exterior boasted splendid crimson walls that captivated the eye, while inside, intricate embellishments adorned its delicate interior. This sacred place exuded an aura steeped in history and offered a serene sanctuary for deep contemplation.
I felt peace after reading the words of prophet Daniel. Came in by a certain Guidance, an impulse to do so. I also ended up saving a bird that was trapped in the cathedral. 🙏🏻🦁🕊

(Translated by Google) Wonderful, I had the pleasure of visiting once, and I can already say that my experience was truly incredible, this museum honors the ancestors and recalls memories of ancient times, when people still cared about their own lives, a time of love, gods and a lot of hope, unlike now when no one cares about anything anymore and they just stay on their cell phones offending each other on the internet.
Anyway, I came here to talk about this wonderful museum, which revives the best of ancient times and the memories of what we had to go through to get to where we are today, I just want to say that going to visit it is really worth it, I recommend it a lot, and if it weren't for the pandemic, I would go there again, as I still have memories of that day and I really loved seeing everything this beautiful place has to offer.

Despite its smaller size compared to the San Ignacio site in Argentina, the church within the Museum of the Missions is exceptionally well-maintained. Additionally, there are several notable dining establishments in town. A newly opened buffet situated opposite the bus station offers excellent lunch options. While I was unable to enter the museum itself due to it being locked, I managed to catch a glimpse of its interior through a glass window.
One of the most beautiful places I've been to in the south of Brazil. Although it is far from the capital, it's worth a visit. Definitely.

It wasn't even possible to take a photo leaning against the walls. Everything was a reason to draw attention. It was boring as hell. Not to mention that it's a bit absurd to charge entry to something that is public. Clueless.
This second time was during the Passion of Christ and we had no problems.

Great place! Huge area with lots of sculptures made by the resident artist. And I mean it. Imagine the Garden of the 1000 faces (sculptures). Or even the giant (6 meters high) Buddha in the top of the Silence Mount. It is necessary to take at least an entire evening to see everything (working hours are 02pm to 05:45pm on weekdays and from 10am to 05:45pm on weekends). In addition, you can enjoy a great vegetarian restaurant in the Garden area (must be previously booked for availability). It is really awesome and a must see in the region.

(Translated by Google) It's an excellent tour. Several shady places to sit. Even children will like it. I recommend taking the trail starting at the entrance on the right, because then it ends at the lake that has several sculptures, and then, when you're a little tired, you can sit in the shade and enjoy it. Just like that, there is no snack bar (I don't know what the restaurant is like) and the road to get there, coming from Júlio de Castilhos, is 20km of dirt with lots of rocks and holes. But it's worth the effort.

The Association of Residents of Vila Belga, an organization dedicated to the welfare of the community, plays a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life in this beautiful place. However, it could further enhance its impact by attracting small enterprises such as cafes, restaurants, and craft shops. (Translated by Google) I thought I would find a well-organized park, but our experience was terrible. First, because we keep walking in circles, there are several paths and no signs indicating the route or the things (two) to be seen. The only sign is the entrance. We walked more than 1km in the park, which according to the person who charged the entrance fee, there were species of trees and plants from dozens of countries, there is no way for us to know, except for 2 species that had signs, the rest was bush. There are also no animals or birds, which we find very strange for an area recovered 60 years ago.
All in all, I wouldn't go back and I don't recommend the tour. Traveled 300km to the biggest disappointment. The only beautiful thing was the lake, which we couldn't take a picture on the deck because there was a photographer taking pictures of a girl and he became the owner of the space.

(Translated by Google) Amazing!!! We schedule Epic Day, which takes place one Saturday a month. The employees and the Hermann Pötter family were present, welcoming visitors. The treatment is 6 stars. We sample a variety of wines at our leisure, starting with a presentation of the property, followed by a visit to the very well-equipped wine industry and ending with lunch paired with the wines. The explanation of the harmonization is from the owner Gabriela herself. Wonderful food, abundant parrilla, lamb, Ojo de Bife and Ribs. Animals from the property, fresh meat slaughtered for the Epic Day event. To conclude, the lunch features live gauchesque music from the border, which made the atmosphere of the event even more special. Shivering!!! I recommend it to the fullest. Thinking about taking friends from São Paulo. To get there, fly via Santa Maria and then 2 hours by car to the winery in Don Pedrito.

(Translated by Google) Very beautiful museum in Bagé. Dona Lisete explains the History of the Museum and the city of Bagé very well.
I learned that President Médici's nickname "Milito" is not because he was a soldier, but because his mother was of Spanish origin and called him "Emilito" when he was a child (since his name was Emílio Garrastazu Médici ), but the children listened to "Milito".
To this day, the Bagé Gymnasium is called Presidente Médici or popularly “Militão”.
I enjoyed seeing the museum room with objects belonging to President Médici, since President Médici was born in Bagé.

My wife is an architect, and is building a structure in the border town of Rio Branco, Uruguay. This is the border crossing bridge between this city and Jaguarão, Brazil. Río Branco is famous for the Duty Free Shops where you can buy all kinds of products at highly discounted prices. Food Stuffs, booze, Perfumes, name brand clothing, appliances, tools, and much more. You have to show your international identification, and pay with a foreign credited card or cash. Uruguayans can not buy in these shops, so hoards of Brazilians flock to these shops. The Uruguayan side also has a very nice Casino. Jaguarão, Brazil is still a very traditional lazy border town. This is where you buy your food and pharmacy needs as the Brazilian side of the border is much cheaper than the Uruguayan side. I love to go there, and my kids love it too. Enjoy!

Once there, you can camp (without electricity or water) it is an experience of disconnection from the city.
The fauna and flora of the area is incredible.
Very beautiful to go for the day and/or stay for more days.
The route down to the ravine is a route that requires a certain physical skill, and is quite tiring, especially in summer (in any case, nothing that cannot be done with care and patience).
It would not be my recommendation to bring children, at least on the way down to the ravine, it is not dangerous but for safety.

(Translated by Google) Very nice place. Like all the historical places that I visited in Uruguay until now, it needs to be developed a little more, tell a little more history, add some more attraction. For example, the Puma fountain has a button to press to dispense water, but it doesn't work. You could charge a minimum entrance fee and have that fountain work and explain that this water is the purest just coming down from the waterfall and that it can be drunk, for example. Let there be an interactive museum showing the packaging process. Something that explains why Patricia's plant is at the entrance, in short, so many things that could be done to improve. It is still worth stopping to know.

The architecture and sustainability efforts at the winery are highly impressive. Guests rave about the Albarino wine and enjoy delicious meals with picturesque views.
Incredible winery and restaurant. If you like architecture you’d definitely love this place. Very interesting art as well.

Overpriced and overrated.
We drove 1h extra to visit this place. When you arrive there is a guarded fence when they ask your name and if you are on the list. So unnecessary.
The staff was amazing. Kind and warm. But with this kind of restaurant i would expect top notch service. Empty glasses were left on the table far too long. We had 2 empty glasses and 1 with wine each at one point.
Food was ok. But not up to our expectation. I dont mind paying for for good food and wine but this was simply insulting!
Unless you want to play big shot and be seen with wannabe posh people I would avoid…

We had an excellent experience. Very impressive buildings, surroundings and view.
An extremely friendly and professional staff. We would like to especially thank Maurizio for the wine tasting and his attentive and knowledgeable explanations. We were happy to be able to buy some of the best wines. The food was OK but not quite up to the standard. But we would be happy to come again.

My recent visit to Bodega Garzón in Garzón was an absolute delight! From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the stunning scenery and the warm hospitality of the staff. The tour itself was informative and engaging, providing a fascinating glimpse into the world of winemaking at Bodega Garzón. A special thanks in this regard to our guide, Emiliano. Excellent is not enough to describe your knowledge and how he conducted our group.
The wine tasting elevated the experience as well. Each sip was a revelation, showcasing the exceptional quality and unique character of their wines. The pairing with cheese, bread, and olives perfectly complemented the flavors, creating a truly memorable culinary journey.
I left Bodega Garzón feeling both informed and deeply satisfied. If you're looking for an unforgettable wine experience in Uruguay, I highly recommend adding this to your itinerary.

We enjoyed wonderful experience in Garzon winery. They organized winery tour and restaurant. It made us satisfied a lot.
The tour was in Spanish, Portuguese and English, by any language.
And their restaurant was also incredible quality with their hospitality.
Garzon is new winery compare with other wineries. But their passion for crating high quality wines are one of the best.
It’s worth to visit there to use a whole day.

What a great experience!
Amazing tour, delicious food, and fanstic wine. From the moment you walked in, you feel in paradiae, the location, the arquitecture, and the winery itself are beautiful.
We did the wine tour and stayed for lunch. The winery is one of the best bodegas we have visited, the technology and sustainability efforts are amazing.
Talking about wine, we particularly loved their Albariño (must have). Lunch menu was also great and we enjoyed with a great view.
Highly recommended, will be back

It's a journey to get there, but it is worth it. Beautiful views, delicious food, and fantastic wine. The service was top notch too.

Words are hard to describe the amazing experience my wife and I had at Garzón. We have been to several well known wine regions and wineries; such as Achaval Ferrer in Mendonza (Argentina) and Quinta dos Fades em Douro (France), but this experience was the best we have ever had.
We booked the Cooking Experience with tour. The experience starts at 11am with a tour of the winery and ends with a full course meal prepared by yourself. Our entire experience lasted about 3 and a half hours.
Our guide, Natalia, was amazing. We learned she is a Biologist by trade and among one of her focuses is on soil. She went into depth to describe how the region's soil, and its minerals, are a conduit to cultivate great wines. As a matter of fact, the premiere wine from the Garzón winery is called Balasto; which is the top layer of pebbled soil in the Garzón region. We learned so much from her during the tour and she was very gracious.
After the tour, we were guided to a private table at the far end of the kitchen that overlooks the winery (picture uploaded). The table was posited where we had views of the winery, the kitchen and the restaurant - simply amazing.
We were greeted by Santiago, the Sous Chef for the restaurant and our personal teacher in the cooking experience. Normally, we would be guided by the resident chef, Francis Mallmann, but he was on a trip to Peru during our visit. Needless to say, Santiago was a fantastic teacher.
We had homemade empanadas, homemade bread, salad with grilled oranges, and a perfectly seasoned steak with onions & potatoes roasted in a wood oven by using a traditional cooking method - covering the veggies completely in salt to protect the food from the intense heat.
Each step in the process was accompanied by specific wines - 2022 Chardonnay . 2018, Seis Manos e 2021 Tannat Reserva. The Seis Manos wine is only sold from the winery and was D.E.L.I.C.I.O.U.S! We bought an entire case :)
As a gift, we were provided the recipes for each dish we made and two aprons.
Conclusion, the experience was a little pricey but it was worth every cent. If you can afford spending a few extra dollars, step away from a typical guided wine tour and invest in an opportunity of a lifetime!

A truly beautiful vineyard to visit, we did a winery tour with 4 wines tasting, the guide was knowledgeable and the wines were amazing! Also there's a wine shop where you can buy them tax free.

Incredible Winery in Uruguay, they are specialist in Tannat Red Wine, is very good. And them have Cabernet Franc, Six Hands Blend, and Marseland Reserve 2018. The place is Amazing, if you are in Uruguay absolutely you need to visit them, I promise. The only bad thing is that is further from Punta del Este, is like 1:15 hours in car.

Boat Beach is a delightful coastal destination characterized by its pleasant size and impressive surf. The allure lies in its relatively limited crowd, ensuring a tranquil atmosphere perfect for unwinding. Moreover, the beachfront restaurant offers a vegetarian burger option, catering to various dietary preferences. In January's initial days, Boat Beach becomes even more vibrant as lively tunes fill the air while young individuals revel in the seaside merriment.
Absolutely spot on. Beautiful.

I have been visiting El Faro del Cabo Santa Maria since I was young. Only children aged 8 and above are allowed to enter. The ascent to the lighthouse is relatively easy compared to other lighthouses, though those with claustrophobia may find the initial steps uncomfortable. However, the stairs become more spacious afterwards. From the balcony at the top, visitors can enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of La Paloma in all directions, accompanied by strong gusts of wind.
If you are in the area, visiting and climbing the lighthouse is well worth it on a nice day. The views are amazing. Around sunset if it is open, would be the best.

Beautiful view of La Paloma. Picture and information on the ground floor is interesting as well. If you have the ability wait for a day when the wind isn't that strong.

I've been visiting this place since i was a kid. Only 8yo+ allowed. The way up is as easy as it gets for a lighthouse. If you're claustrophobic the initial steps may bother you, but after those, the stairs are very spacious. Up there in the balcony there's a great 360 view, and super windy.

Opened till sunset, "puesta del sol" which is interpreted by the 'boss' there as "kick out all tourists 20 minutes before sunset, i want to go home".. The younger employee wanted to let us up but was not allowed to. Other tourists that were already upstairs were called down 15 min before sunset. All were mad about this bulls*it...
Lighthouse is nice from outside.

Beautiful view of the whole surrounding for less then 1$ a person, 30.pesos. climbing is a bit exhausting if someone not in shape. Another thing need to mention is the the distance between the rail shelves is too wide, and my slim daughter could easy slip between. Other then that, its a great experience.

Gran hallazgo.

Very bad experience! We called several times to make a reservation and no one answers. After several attempts in a very bad way, they reserved the table for us. When we arrived, half the room was empty. It is not understood why the delay in responding.
We ordered a wine from the menu that was on the table for USD 21, we pointed it out to the waiter and he didn't mention anything.
When the bill arrived, the value of the wine was USD 59, we told the manager that the wine we had requested was another and she mentioned that the list prices are the local sales prices. The waiter never explained that the menu they leave on your table is for sale on the premises and that it is different from the restaurant's menu. The manager did nothing more than stay silent and charge for something that was a mistake on their part without taking responsibility for the fact that they brought us another wine, not the right one!! A shame.
It's a hoax!!

Very good experience at this winery. People took time to explain what they sre doing and tasting was well narrated.
Food was may be okay, but overpriced. Typically, you will pay up for a kick at such places, but we were underwhelmed with all dishes and they appeared to us quite bland.
Surprisingly the cheaper Tenant Cemento was better tasting vs 3 times more expensive one. Chardonnay 2015 was not good for $27.
All prices are in the US$. App for $18, mains for @$40, deserts aare for $15. Wines are starting at @$40.
Interesting point, they have caviar service with Champaign....very unusual, full spread goes for $375.

Just an incredible place. Beautiful setting in the middle of rolling hills. Unfortunately that's where it all ends. Tour was less than interesting. Then worse was the wine tasting. How you can possibly have someone who knows nothing about your wines. Nor speaks clear Spanish or English be the person who serves your wines to your visitors. Mine you this is not a cheap experience. Truly a shame!! We were sat in a beautiful setting. Then our wines served all the same time. No explanation, no personally, no interaction nothing. We were 4 people and only given appetizers for 3. Ridiculous attention and you might as well bring a bag of potato chips for what you get. The only feed back and interest was when we approached the bar and started talking to the girl behind counter. She told us more and let us try other wines. Which we ended up buying. Sorry, because of our experience. I can not recommend anyone waste their time nor money at Vina Eden.

We mistakenly booked a service on their website that was not actually available at the time. Kelly was very attentive and attempted to contact us all day. Unfortunately we did not have internet access so could not get her messages, but upon our arrival they were very accommodating! We ended up having a charcuterie dinner with delicious wine tasting and private wine tour. It was amazing! Thank you so much Vina Eden! Great experience!

The food was very very expensive and simply awful. The wine and the location are nice but this does not make up for the bitter taste of spending hundreds of US$ for some of the worst food we have had in Uruguay.
For $40 each (just the main) we got a very overcooked, dry and tough steak. With tasteless watery boiled potatoes (unseasoned), overcooked brocoli, a sauce that had mushrooms in but just tasted of red wine, and raw red pepper that clashed with everything else on the plate.
The children's food was inedible, it was milanesa so tough they couldn't chew it. They just ate fries (we ordered more and had some ourselves to spare us from the boiled potato).
It was my birthday meal and we feel completely robbed and very unsatisfied. Please do avoid.

Excellent vineyard, located just 30min away driving from Punta del Este. Great views and very good service, the staff speak Spanish, Portuguese and English. I strongly recommend the vineyard tour, the wine maker itself drives you and explains all the details, from the terroir, the plants, how they grow the vines and produce their delicate wines. The type of wine they produce is very similar to European/french wines, with local grapes and elaborated the traditional way. Cheese and wine for lunch and an awesome view is a great plan for the weekend. On your way back, take the chance and visit Pueblo Eden, just a small rural town that has a few gastronomic jewels to offer.
