The Ruinas de San Ignacio Miní is a significant Catholic mission from the 17th century, now in ruins. It boasts the most complete remains in Argentina and features intricate carved ornamentation and interactive panels. Visitors can also access nearby ruins at Santa Ana, Loreto, and Santa Maria la Mayor with admission tickets. An impressive sound-and-light show is available on nonrainy nights for foreigners at an additional cost of AR$200.
Beautiful and historic.
A couple items of note: Your ticket works for several other nearby sites. They only accept cash, and the ATM around the corner from the entrance will charge you a $1200 ARS fee.
Still, worth it.

Despite its smaller size compared to the San Ignacio site in Argentina, the church within the Museum of the Missions is exceptionally well-maintained. Additionally, there are several notable dining establishments in town. A newly opened buffet situated opposite the bus station offers excellent lunch options. While I was unable to enter the museum itself due to it being locked, I managed to catch a glimpse of its interior through a glass window.

I'll never travel to Porto Alegre without this trip planner again
After perusing the inspiring teachings of prophet Daniel, a profound sense of tranquility washed over me. Entranced by an inexplicable inner guidance, I ventured into the majestic Angelopolitan Cathedral. Its exterior boasted splendid crimson walls that captivated the eye, while inside, intricate embellishments adorned its delicate interior. This sacred place exuded an aura steeped in history and offered a serene sanctuary for deep contemplation.
I felt peace after reading the words of prophet Daniel. Came in by a certain Guidance, an impulse to do so. I also ended up saving a bird that was trapped in the cathedral. 🙏🏻🦁🕊

(Translated by Google) Amazing!!! We schedule Epic Day, which takes place one Saturday a month. The employees and the Hermann Pötter family were present, welcoming visitors. The treatment is 6 stars. We sample a variety of wines at our leisure, starting with a presentation of the property, followed by a visit to the very well-equipped wine industry and ending with lunch paired with the wines. The explanation of the harmonization is from the owner Gabriela herself. Wonderful food, abundant parrilla, lamb, Ojo de Bife and Ribs. Animals from the property, fresh meat slaughtered for the Epic Day event. To conclude, the lunch features live gauchesque music from the border, which made the atmosphere of the event even more special. Shivering!!! I recommend it to the fullest. Thinking about taking friends from São Paulo. To get there, fly via Santa Maria and then 2 hours by car to the winery in Don Pedrito.

Espetacular!!!

Great place! Huge area with lots of sculptures made by the resident artist. And I mean it. Imagine the Garden of the 1000 faces (sculptures). Or even the giant (6 meters high) Buddha in the top of the Silence Mount. It is necessary to take at least an entire evening to see everything (working hours are 02pm to 05:45pm on weekdays and from 10am to 05:45pm on weekends). In addition, you can enjoy a great vegetarian restaurant in the Garden area (must be previously booked for availability). It is really awesome and a must see in the region.

(Translated by Google) It's an excellent tour. Several shady places to sit. Even children will like it. I recommend taking the trail starting at the entrance on the right, because then it ends at the lake that has several sculptures, and then, when you're a little tired, you can sit in the shade and enjoy it. Just like that, there is no snack bar (I don't know what the restaurant is like) and the road to get there, coming from Júlio de Castilhos, is 20km of dirt with lots of rocks and holes. But it's worth the effort.

The Catedral São João Batista in Santa Cruz do Sul is a stunning Gothic Catholic temple, considered the largest of its kind in South America. This beautiful cathedral, both inside and out, leaves visitors awe-struck with its grandeur and architectural splendor. Absolutely a deception in regards of presentation and expectation. Perhaps my expectation was really high, but I definitely was expecting much more of a vineyard like Miolo. Hope they can improve.

Years ago I used to come quite often.. I did the tasting, visitation etc. this year I went just to buy one specific wine (Lote 43). I wanted to try other wines (specifically the pinot noir. For my surprise they told us they don’t do more tasting of single bottles and you have to do the paid tasting. They would allowed me to do to the tasting without the visitation, but when I asked which wines were included they would not tell. But basically pinot noir would not be one of them. So what’s the purpose? You go to a winery to try the flavour and then buy a bottle. The staff it is nice the place ia beautiful but the wine purchase was disappointed and then after coming here before definitely not coming back

Went here for a wine tour during the week. Did several other wine tours in the area over 1,5 weeks before. The company has become a typical example of a company growing too fast. Amongst other things this made it lose its authenticity. The tour guide sought no connection with the crowd and talks in a way someone would give a presentation in a primary school. Other employees are just at the company for work and do not really seem to care about their customers. It almost seems that the company scale increase made it lose just that which allowed it to grow: a good story; passionate people; a company that is actually working on a product instead of providing models "showing" the proces; and a tasting with a build in flavors instead of a mix. If you just want to be informed on a factory proces and taste some wine: go here. If you want to be guided through authentic companies by passionate people who do what they love: go elsewhere. There a plenty of companies in the area around Bento which are worth a visit. This could be on the same road, or in other areas like Faria Lemos.

Tradicional winery from Vale dos Vinhedos with a great tour through the installations and helpful staff. Also, if you pick the wine tasting you can get back R$ 20 at the store.

Amazing winery where is one of the most famous one in Brazil. We can enjoy tasting with a lot of options including rare wine.
Their wines are fruity, tasty, and simple good.
In addition, we can have cuisine in their restaurant. It is course menu, but we can choose each food with several options.

Today we stopped just for the store and look around. It is even beautiful than was years before. We went to tasting a few grapes to choose which buy. The sales guy was extremely kind and explained very well the difference between the grapes. Totally recommend. I would highly recommend the visitation, I did a few times in the past and it is really nice and beautiful. Try their nature sparkling it is amazing

Every single person from Valduga treated us graciously and respectful, without rush, teaching us about everything we asked about.
We were awarded a very funny and long chat with one of the owners, Mr. João Valduga, who more than just explain about the place, made thousand of good jokes, promoting the same sensation of being in a small and familiar winery.
Most important! They have a cute dog called Nero waling over there

Casa Valdua's tour was an amazing experience (even though I bought the cheapest one). We went through Casa Valdua's history while walking inside the their cave. Also, we tried a select set o wines and champagne. We could see their special cave where Gregorian music is played to the wine. In the end we had short tour outside Casa Valduga.

Great winery in a beautiful spot in the hills. Alexandre was able to give us a fantastic tour, in English, at very short notice. He also gave a very informative tasting of their wines. Great time.

Parque Temático Epopeia Italiana is a spectacle that showcases the story of Italian immigrants who arrived in Southern Brazil in 1875. The performance, featuring life-sized sets, lasts about 45 minutes and is filled with history and culture.
Very interesting story and beautifully presented

If you would like to know the history of Italian immigration in Brazil, this is a good place. You walk through old houses and villages and hear an Italian character talking about the trip, very interesting.

Wonderful experience. A little short for the price but very enjoyable. Great for family and kids.

Interesting retelling of the immigration story of an Italian couple.
Rebeca Esther Sousa — Google review
Different animated way to learn the story of so many immigrants, focus on a Italian couple but could be the example of many others!

Free entrance ! Very kind worker! I got a private tour as I did not speak Portuguese. The tour guide was in English and at the end there is a wine tasting of 7 bottles aprox. The interior decoration is beautiful with Greek Gods, saints for protection, and shows all the flags of exporting countries in descending order! Really worth it and at the end you can buy bottles at a discount.

An excellent experience. Special thanks to "Julia" who was our guide and doing her first English speaking tour - she was fantastic. We arrived for a tour in the early afternoon and were lucky to be in a small group of 2. Julia gave us an excellent guided tour and then we went to a private tasting room. The wines, and Julia's commentary, were first class. We were allowed to taste some special wines. We really enjoyed it. The tour was free, and we bought some wine to take away.

The tour on the winery is for free, the guides are really polite and the tasting at the end of the tour is really good. The place is beautiful and it's worth the visit. If you like something in the winery shop, buy it because the prices are better than on a supermarket
Lau Angarita — Google review
The tour is totally FREE of charge and it is amazing. They show a brief video about the place and origin and a guided tour that goes underground to see the huge tanks where the wine and other products are made. Ending with a tasting session where you can try the the multiple times awarded wine selection. You can't go wrong by taking this tour...
