(Translated by Google) We arrived by canoe, crossing the river of beads. On the way, we took a walk through the mangroves, getting to know a little about the region's ecosystem, and our guide told us some stories about the region. When we arrive at the waterfall we pay an entrance fee, right at the beginning there is a little shop to buy souvenirs from Itacaré. The waterfall has 3 falls, starting with the first river that it is possible to dive in calmly, as we go down the trail we take a bath, and in the last fall to a bridal veil right at the top to bathe using a rope for safety, as some stones slip . Cold water, refreshing, unique landscape. Invigorating bath!

Banho revigorante!

(Translated by Google) Boat trip, crossing the river of beads, then we immersed ourselves even more in nature through a passage that I would call secret through the mangrove, a surreal landscape, then the arrival at the waterfall.
I don't know what it was like before, but now there's a super friendly and cordial girl in charge, who made us feel very comfortable, as did the captain "Maraú", the boatman responsible for safely transporting us back and forth, I recommend meeting him on the beach on the coast.
How wonderful this waterfall is. With three falls, each one more beautiful than the other, an unspeakable waterfall. What a climate, what energy, book photos, record videos, I suggest going during the week, you will have total peace of mind.
(Original)

The experience is incredible. You can climb to the top of the waterfall, as it has a support structure and ropes.
You can enter the waterfall, also with the support of ropes.
The water is normally more crystal clear, but due to the rain, it was a little dark.
To get there, we passed through a swampy region with many mangroves.

Pousada Lagoa do Cassange is a beachfront hotel that offers 14 comfortable bungalows with complimentary breakfast and a seafood restaurant. The staff is fantastic, and the location is superb. The newer suites have a full kitchen and sala, providing utmost comfort. Although the bungalows have simple amenities like electric shower heads and older finishings, they are still enjoyable while admiring the beautiful beach view.
The pousada has an incredibly relaxing atmosphere and is a true paradise. The staff is very friendly and professional and the food is out of this world! I highly recommend a stay here to anyone.

Great staff at a superb location! Our rooms were the newer built suites adjacent a full kitchen and sala which was super comfortable. The bungalows seemed very simple, with electric shower heads and older finishings but doesn't matter while you're staring out over a perfect beach. Food at the pousada isn't great with a limited menu. Grilled fish was yummy the first few days then other options would be welcome. Breakfast was very good Service was excellent.

As it is a little far from the village of Boipeba, there are a few ways to get to the beach: Speedboat ride around the island, ecological quad bike tour and taking the trail from the Bainema mangrove to the river and crossing by boat. I chose the most difficult way to get there, lol, but it was so worth it, for the beautiful landscapes along the trail.

The Quarta Praia beach in Morro de Sao Paulo is a more secluded, quieter option than the main beaches in town, and is worth walking to after a dip in the water. It's also more vazia than the other beaches in Morro, with many people renting bikes to pedal along the long stretch of sand.
Really liked it. Away from the crowds of the other beaches that are closer to the town centre you'll find a nice beach with very little amount of people (takes a while to get there as you can only get there by foot I think). Because of that, unfortunately this isn't an option for people with reduced mobility. There are a couple of bars that (I think) serve some food (although we didn't eat). Not a place to watch the sunset, best during the morning/day time (till 16:30-17:00)

It’s a very flat and shallow beach, even with the tide. The mud is very soft and is good for rubbing on your skin or throwing at your friends (or enemies, you choose). It’s the least crowded beach, especially farther south.

I stayed behind and went in to see this building that is a historical heritage and that began to emerge in the 19th century.
It was very rich, but it was looted several times in its history. So its baroque style was greatly reduced by stolen pieces, but it is still beautiful in its simplicity.
There's a bone inside a nest in the wall, protected by glass. I was a bit amazed when I realized that it was a mandible and, as there is no explanatory plaque, I still haven't discovered which saint it belonged to.
Isn't it strange that, on São Paulo Hill, the patron saint is Our Lady of Light?
They should probably share custody of the island, one should be president and the other vice president, something like that.

Just coming off of Covid19 restriction, this hotel wasn't as up to date for the price they charged. The rooms were adequate, but not magical. Lots of damage all around, the closet was breaking, the railing on the stairs was broken/dangerous. The pool closed, even though the other hotel pools were open. Over all, disappointing. The good, the staff was excellent, very helpful, and breakfast was very good. Overall, I would definitely select another hotel for my next visit.

The Barra's Lighthouse is a postcard of Salvador City, at beach with the same name , is the oldest in Brazil but is in a great conservation status.
The visit worth cause the historical value, the beautiful neighborhood and the stunning views when you climb until the top!
At the building of the old fort, we visited the museum that explain the History of the Lighthouse since the 16th Century and an interesting pictures exposition.
The Porto da Barra Beach is a long, wide beach with calm waters perfect for swimming and sunbathing. It's only a short walk from the Farol da Barra lighthouse, making it an easy destination for visitors to Salvador. With over 600 yards of sand, it's large enough to accommodate even the largest crowds, but also has plenty of secluded spots where you can relax alone.

The Elevador Lacerda in Salvador, Brazil is a historic art deco elevator that offers stunning panoramic views. It connects the upper and lower parts of the city, providing a convenient transportation option for visitors. This iconic landmark has been restored to its original beauty and attracts tourists from around the world. The elevator consists of four separate elevators and can transport passengers 72 meters in less than 30 seconds.
Beautiful elevator with stunning views of the city. At just 15 cents, it is a very affordable way to get to the old city. The observation deck at the top gives you some of the best views in Salavador. It's also closely located to Mercado Modelo, which is convenient. With that said, make sure you don't have any flashy jewlery on you when you go up so you can stay safe.

⭐ The elevator is very fast and takes you to the upper city in a few seconds
⭐ We did not pay an entrance fee and did not have to wait in a queue
⭐ Nothing else to say or to do. Very straightforward. It is an elevator after all. But fun nonetheless!
Also, prices for souvenirs in the upper city are cheaper than at Mercado Modelo!

It's very cheap at only R$0.15, and conveniently located. It facilitates a 10 minute walk from the ferry to Pelourinho or from Pelourinho to the market. There may be a bit of a line depending on the time of day that you visit. Can also get a bit hot during the day. There are stunning views from the top, a very popular photo op spot, as well as a famous ice cream shop help you beat the heat. Can't miss it on a visit to Salvador and I definitely recommend taking it at least once.

A very traditional landmark of the city, this elevator is known as the first public elevator on the entire Amreica. It connects the up and down part of the town (where the Modelo Market is located). The fee to use is very unexpensive - only BRL 0.15 cents. It's also a good place to enjoy the breathtaking view of the All Saints Bay. Unfortunately, the surroundings are not as safe as expected, but note that this is very common for historical cities in Brazil. I do recommend you to be accompanied by a local to avoid unsafe areas and to avoid the local vendors who can be very insisting. As always, enjoy it during the daytime. The elevator doesn't offer a panoramic view (it was not built with this intention), but it has a glass corridor that can be the place for nice pictures.

It's a small pastry and ice cream shop situated right next to the elevator. I have to admit that the ice creams are delicious, generously served, and really cheap. You may choose to get them in a cone or a cup. The 'Pave' flavor is amazing! Pave is a Brazilian cake-like dessert.
Arkadiusz Jędrzejewski — Google review
The history behind the construction is interesting, however it’s not a great place to go. Going up and down costs R$0,15 per visitor and the elevator is too crowded, hot as hell and smells sweat. Great view up there though.

⭐ You can find a lot of interesting souvenirs. Definitely for tourists.
⭐ The variety of souvenirs is very grand. You will definitely be able to find something you like— if you're not overwhelmed by the choices.
⭐ Nice vendors and easy to navigate. At the top floor there is an ATM if you need cash.
⭐ If you're hungry, there are spots to eat and drink as well.
Most of the stalls only take Pix or cash! So you will need to get some from the ATM. Items here are a bit more pricey. I would recommend going to the upper city to shop for more souvenirs if you only have a card on you! But it is worth a visit.

This is indeed one of the greatest and most know trademarks for anyone visiting Salvador for the first time. Currently, the market is passing by a renovation so its split in two different sections. But both have basically the same kind of products available. At first, I've thought this would be similar to São Paulo's Municipal Market; however, here you will find just two or three options of restaurants with most of the other places taken by souvenirs stores. It can be a great place if you're looking for this type of store but be attentive of the prices - you can similar items for huge price variance. Tip: things here are cheaper than most of the stores of Pelourinho. Extra tip: though the market itself may not be what you're expecting take the opportunity to visit the marine located a few steps of it. The view is stunning and a good place for nice photos.

It is worth mentioning that other states in Brazil do not have boats with this quality and construction, so maintenance would be enough to improve service conditions. I really enjoyed busing this place. We did the 3 ties for 3 wishes. It was fun to explore this area a few vendors out front. Would say this Is a good place to visit, parking can be tough to find.

One of the best attraction of the city.
You'll feel a deep spiritual energy and You'll meet a beautiful cultural side of Salvador de Bahia.
Quaint old church, with a beautiful view, much nicer interior than one would guess from the exterior (although exterior is done in rather charming gothic architecture), and a cute story of wishes granted for each of the knots tied with a ribbon at its fence. Make sure not to tie more than three knots, though, and of course - you can't say the wishes out loud. :) When will they come true? When the last of the knots gets undone and the ribbon falls off the fence...

Though it is not that close of the mainstream of Salvador's sightseeing, the basilic is indeed a must to see place. It has such a huge and potent energy that will make the extra effort worth it. It's not the most luxurious church one can visit, but the relevance of its history to the locals (and the history of religious development in the entire state) is more than necessary if you really want to leave with the mystical taste that Salvador leaves in all of us. There is no fee payment, and as a plus, you can visit the beaches located on the outskirts. Don't forget to attach your Senhor do Bonfim ribbon on the gates of the church - legends say you must choose the color you like the most and tie it in with three knots, one for each wish of yours. The color you pick will represent the orixá that protects you.

Marvelous setting with beautiful views. Interior is very opulent. Lots of vendors for the ribbons outside.

This was an excellent way to find some respite from the city. There are many meetings and there are many attractions here. The basilica offers an excellent gaze into the past of not only the church but the local customs and city history.

Beautiful church carrying a lot of history. There was service when we arrived and it was crowded but we found seats and could enjoy the amazing interior of the church whilst praying. Be aware about parking and souvenir prices, street vendors try to make money on unadvised tourists.

The church is beautiful and full with the visitors but should be careful about the guy at the parking lot along the street they are asking for 20 reais for every car.

Very old igreja and beautifully designed the architecture is very historical. I recommend if you want to do photography visit on weekdays cause on weekends and especially on Sunday you will found fully crowded. ( I couldn’t get the chance for photography) nice to visit here and see the beautifully historic details inside the igreja (church)

A must see during your visit to Salvador. A beautiful cathedral that captures the heart and soul of one of the oldest cities established in the new world.
It’s local custom to tie ribbons at the gate in front of the church and say a prayer to the Holy Savior of the Bay of all Saints.
Inside the cathedral and deep rooted in the Afro-Brazillian Candomblé traditions and the Catholic Ex-Voto, the afflicted offer wax casts in body parts to Saints as thanks or hope of healing them.

I'll never travel to Mata de Sao Joao without this trip planner again
To get from the center was very frustrating and took me 2.5 hrs to get there.
Do not rely on google maps or moovit in terms of the bus number (many buses have no number) or the bus stop to get on (as many drivers did not stop for me as it was not the right one) or even the route. Ask many people and look for a bus sign that states it is a stop. Many buses don't display numbers, and if they do, the number switches quickly that you may not have the time to see it from far to hail it down!

(Translated by Google) Not far from the Capital, east of Salvador, just after Flamengo beach, I came to discover another tropical paradise called Praia de Buraquinho.
Think of a beautiful clean beach, of unique beauty, where the river flows into the sea, full of coconut trees and there is even grass on the beach.
This "Buraquinho" is a beach that you can call "yours", because there is no frenetic movement at all.
I discovered the old woman's hole here in "Buraquinho". I tied myself to this hole...
Think of a hole full of cold beers, fried fish, crabs, shrimp and the like.
The stalls that exist here serve the coldest beers in the region.
Spectacular place to spend holidays.

Me amarrei nesse buraco...

(Translated by Google) This place has a unique beauty, very peaceful, safe and a very familiar environment, as it is in a prime area, security is increased, access to the beaches is only possible by a short walk!
There are almost no street vendors, a few stalls scattered around, but with fair prices. Perfect for those with small children, as natural pools with hot water are created at low tide.
Wonderful.

Maravilhoso.

The TAMAR Project Arembepe is an impressive initiative that showcases the commendable work of its members. It houses a variety of tortoises undergoing rehabilitation, making it an ideal spot for nature enthusiasts. Additionally, the museum associated with the project caters more towards children rather than adults, providing a child-friendly environment. This place is truly remarkable for those who have an affinity for nature and sea turtles as visitors can witness hatchlings being released into the ocean on specific occasions.
Amazing place if you love nature and sea turtles. On some days you can watch hatchling being released into the sea!

Aldeia Hippie, a captivating tourist attraction near Arembebe, offered a remarkable experience resembling that of an adventurous monarch residing in the tropical oasis. Collaborating with individuals from various regions like Paulistas, Cariocas, Chilenos, and Argentinos, charming huts were expertly crafted from palm fronds while sustenance was procured from the nearby village. The allure of this paradise extended to indulging in river swims and lively nocturnal revelries.
It is a calm and relaxing place. The atmosphere and people are outrageous. Gorgeous sculpture and handcrafted jewelry

I lived the life of a wild king in the tropics at this wonderful place near Arembebe. Together with Paulistas, Cariocas, Chilenos, Argentinos we had built our pwn huts from palm fronds, got food from the village, swam in the river and partied at night. This was paradise. When I got bored I walked back to the road across the swamp and went back to Salvador. What a life ! This was almost 40 years ago !❤🎶🇦🇨🇧🇷❤
