Had a lovely picnic here. Don't miss the walk through the bamboo forest / trail, breathtakingly different - memorizing for a 'country girl' from the States. :)
Emily da Silva — Google review
The Garden it self is a well preserved and really nice place to spend some time on a walk or even doing a picnic with your family and friends.
On the other hand. People also do hangout on the streets leading in and out the Garden main gate. The problem is that those streets form the only path to get there, so some times it's a bit crowded . Besides that, the street is also used to ride bikes, skateboards. Play with RC cars.
The worst part is that those streets are also used to teach people how to drive a car or motorcycle and that's could cause a bunch of accidents.
And the place (especially when it's darker) kinda has no security at all, with very few cops passing by occasionally.

It's a good place to visit if you enjoy hiking, other than that there's not much to see except a huge green area.

The International Friendship Bridge is a 1,812-ft.-long arch bridge with a pedestrian path that connects the cities of Foz do Iguacu in Brazil and Ciudad del Este in Paraguay. It symbolizes the union between the two countries and was constructed during the 1950s and 1960s over the Parana River. The bridge links Ciudad del Este to Foz do Iguazu and also shares a border with Puerto Iguazu in Argentina.
Easy to find a way to cross the bridge. Just uber close to it, and the signs will show “Pedestre”. Asked Imigration if its okay to walk, no problem.
M?ris Jankovskis — Google review
I took an Uber to the bridge which cost me £3. I walked across the bridge with no problem. I’m a single middle-aged female on my own and no one troubled me. I did a little shopping and I came back again. I didn’t even make a stop at immigration nobody seemed interested. No problem. I got a cold beer near the bridge and I ordered an Uber back to my hotel, which cost me £2. I was advised to use the buses I didn’t get on with that because I couldn’t figure out which bus or how to pay
Maria Brown — Google review
It was build in 1965 connecting Brazil to Paraguay. I do not advice to cross it on foot way too dangers You'd rather take a van in some local agency in Brazil and go with others, much safer that way.
Rodrigo Rahmeier — Google review
As a person that lives in the frontier and has passed this bridge countless times I will leave some tips for people that are visiting: (updated again!)
1. The bridge is not unsafe (and the cities aren't also) but you still have to pay attention for pickpockets. Doesn't mean you will find one but better to be precautious like you would in any big city. I would also add that right after Paraguayan customs there are a lot of men trying to give people pamphlets or flyers about certain stores, I personally wouldn't take those nor pay attention to them, be safe and just ignore them and go to the store you wanted to go (see number 11 too).
2. As pedestrians we do almost the same thing that cars do on the road. If leaving Paraguay by foot, you go from customs (Shopping del Este side) to the same side of the road until you get to customs of Brazil, if you are retourning to Paraguay you have to come back on the other side. When on the hallway of the bridge, we usually walk on the right so people that are in a rush can pass by the left.
3. There's no need to go to either customs if you're just going to do some shopping in CDE and go back or viceversa with Foz (read Acuerdo entre Paraguay y Brasil sobre Localidades Fronterizas vinculadas (ciudades gemelas)). If you're travelling further in either country you need to go to both customs (Aduana) BY YOURSELF.
4. If you want to take a good look at/take a picture of the bridge, it's even better on your way from cde to foz as they have an overlook to the bridge right after the bridge and on the way to brazilian customs (pay attention to your right after the end of the bridge, walk up some small steps and you'll find it).
5. Bring a hat or something to cover your head from the sun because the roof doesn't cover much, you can still see the sky. The roof and the barricades (?) are anti-suicide protections that they put up a few years ago, but in terms of rain and sun it doesn't protect much. Use sunscreen, a hat and bring a bottle of water with you to drink. It can be too hot or too cold (if windy).
6. If you pass to either side by bus or by car it can be fast sometimes but other times the road is too busy and you can be there for hours. Even though the problem is not in the bridge itself but the problem is the traffic before reaching the bridge from both sides. You can check that by searching "Ponte da Amizade camara" in google.
7. If you pass by bus the price is 12 reais or 15.000 guaraníes, goes back and forth in both countries every now and then. In Paraguay you can get in the bus at the terminal de buses or wherever downtown, goes to Brazil until TTU (Terminal de Transporte Urbano) and Rodoviária. Doesn't stop in the Aduanas (Customs) in case you need to make your entry.
8. There are also "paseros" that can make you get to the other side faster and for a little bit cheaper (some) but you have to ask until which part of both cities they go (probably not outside downtown side).
9. There are places where fakes are sold in Ciudad del Este, but it's not just that. There are many official stores of International brands or where they are represented, for example: Shopping China, Monalisa, Nissei, Shopping Paris, SAX, Atacado Games, Mobile Zone, Mega Shopping Importados, Tokutokuya (Asian foods and goodies especially from Japan).
10. Currency used the most is US Dollars but you can also use Reais or Guaraníes in stores, check if buying in dollars is the best option for you, it usually is.
11. People Are going to try to drag you to theirstores, they will talk to you some sweet things to lure you to buy their products; if you don't want any of that just say Gracias and make a "yes" motion with your head at the same time, that's all.
12. People in Ciudad del Este speak spanish, guaraní and portuguese (especially those that work downtown), if you speak english only it might be a little more difficult to find someone to speak with you but we are working on that! :P
I will keep updating if I notice some other things are missing here!

The wait line of cars on the bridge was only about 10 - 15 minutes. Nice view and so impressive how to nations worked together to build this. The water wasn't clean though.

A bridge full of traffic! If u wanna pass u can walk ~15min or take a Scooter, but attention the taxi-scooter driver are driven crazy 🙈
(I paid 6real for that trip^^)
Both immigration are also on that bridge for ya Passport (but nobody will control you so u have to do it if u need it)
Kast Kooper — Google review
To be fair, it is nothing special, but yet it is somehow. Where else can you just walk over the border. Might be also quicker than in a Taxi.
Tim Opitz — Google review
Getting checked out of Brazil was a little complicated, but then walking across the bridge was no problem. Arriving in Paraguay was not complicated.
The view of the river from the bridge was nice.

Completely not worth the money. It's very expensive (2 tickets: +200 reals). There are rules everywhere, everytime you leave the shuttle bus there is a guide reminding rules, you can't really feel freedom.. don't get me wrong - it's a nice place, well maintained and the nature is beautiful, but too much expensive
Katarzyna Szewczyk — Google review
Very impressive! A half-hourly bus takes visitors to a nearby starting point for the sandstone columns where a walking path of just over 1 km takes you along the open front of the sandstones. You can then either take the bus back to the visitor centre or, as I did, walk back behind the stones through the forest for about 2 km along an up-and-down patched path back to the first bus stop. But don't take the bus back - there is a lovely 1 km grass path back to the visitor centre. There are also other attractions such as a sunken lake (furnas) via another bus. There is paid parking for R$20 and an entry fee of over R$100, with the usual half price discounts mandated by law for the elderly, pregnant, disabled and certain other groups.

The exhibition items are extremely beautifully set in scene. The exhibition is generally very well curated and diverse exhibitions, both modern and traditional, are on display. During my visit quite some rooms and the eye were closed foe the setting up of new exhibitions (08.04.22). Entrance costs 30. Drinks and bottles are not allowed inside, but there are free lockers available. Good coffee in the museum café.

I’m not a fan of art really. I visited this place with my architect friend and he found some stuff interesting. I liked the part that talk s about Africa. I took a picture of the man with curved back to show it to my physiotherapist cuz he always tell me my back is curved.
I gave 4 stars because the parking system didn’t work
I do like the idea of collecting what is considered art in one place

A great indoor space for a miles-long stroll on a bad weather day. Exhibitions (that try hard to be interesting) take place mostly in the undescriptive, adjacent "square" annex, so what is actually worth seeing is 85% outside. Store offers an array of objects using the museum logo (=outline). Still by far tourist attraction #1 in town.

Amazing museum with an unforgettable building design. There are various exhibitions inside, which include contemporary art and an impressive Asian and African collection of works.
My favorite exhibition this time was “BANCOS INDÍGENAS DO BRASIL”, which displayed more than 200 banks from 40 ethnic groups in the Amazon. Understanding the worldview of indigenous people was an inspiring experience.
It could be quite cold in the museum, though, remember to bring a jacket.

The city park Parque Barigui is a large and popular park in the center of Curitiba, Brazil. It features sports courts, lakeside trails for hiking and biking, and a skating rink. unitstar — Google review
The park is beautiful, but nothing special. If you aren't from the city, there's not much to do. It lacks a good restaurant, and the few options available aren't quite impressive. It's big, and many areas don't have trees, so it's tiresome on sunny and hotter days. Beware of bicycles in the bike lane; they sometimes go really fast and don't watch out for pedestrians. There are also a lot of big dogs without muzzles, and the police just don't care. Regarding security, it's fairly safe on the south side, starting from Candido Hartmann Avenue; there's patrolling, and it feels alright. The only problem here is street vendors who walk around offering cakes or biscuits; they sometimes get too insistent and annoying, but rarely a big headache. Anyway, security remains an issue for the North side, particularly near the chimney and beyond. Avoid this side after dark and in the early hours of the day, and don't explore the forest trails unless you're in a group.

It was a magical experience to visit this park and meet the capybaras, they are adorable and the park was in good condition, I think the only thing that would make it better than perfect would be that there were more food stalls in the surroundings.

One of the best parks in Curitiba! Huge park with lots of shady spots, exercise equipment, and best of all, capybaras quietly eating and swimming all over. Busy of the weekends but always worth a trip!

Pretty chill park, you can also see monkeys and relax by the lake. We had a really lovely time. A bit away from the center, but well worth a visit!

Beautiful, huge, clean park. There are three respective lanes for bikers, joggers, pedestrians. Plenty of cute and harmonious capybaras and various species of birds.

Oh how I love this park. Great memories of when I was a child coming here w my dad. Watching the sunset while laying under a tree. On this trip to visit family I came to the park 2 times to see the capivaras… South Americans biggest rodent. They are so cute and docile. If your lucky you can even see monkeys in the areas with the trees.

Zoo Pomerode is a conservation-focused zoo that houses approximately 220 species of native and exotic mammals, birds, and reptiles. Visitors can purchase entrance tickets for an intimate experience with the well-cared-for animals. The zoo offers a diverse range of animals from South America and Brazil, providing a unique opportunity to see species not commonly found elsewhere. The lush surroundings and friendly staff contribute to a perfect zoo experience.
I would definitely go again!
The place is clean, the animals are taken well cared; you can see that by the size of the places where they are kept and we were able to see the workers feeding, cleaning...
I would suggest going later in the afternoon or early morning because of the hot weather.

Beto Carrero World is a popular family amusement park in Penha, Santa Catarina, known for its themed thrill rides, live cabaret shows, zoo and horse riding. The park spans over 10 million square meters with eight different areas each featuring a unique theme. Although some attractions like the kids rollercoaster were closed during our visit, the initiative to introduce Master Chef points has expanded the culinary offerings.
I’m from Mexico and I wanted to experience this place. It was really fun. I highly recommend to buy fast passes for some attractions because the line was long.
Also bring a lot water because is exhausting walk around whole day.
Some restaurants are good and some are really bad. I ordered a sandwich and I have to throw away because taste was so bad.
I recommend eat inside of the nerf arcade.
The burgers were good.

- Very good customer service.
Negative points:
- Very long queues for toys.
- No coffee shops.

We had a really nice time there. We arrived right at the open time, was not a busy day at all, so I suppose we were lucky! We just took some minutes to go to the roller coaster and to many other attractions. The food is very expensive, for a normal food. The meal hall is very old, should be renewed as well as add more ventilation, it was sooo warm in there! We had cakes in some bakeries, which were sooo good. The new attraction was also very fun. The theater that happen during the day and evening are really worth it to see, you gonna have fun. + you don’t have to be a kid to be here, just go, I am sure you gonna have fun. There are different attractions, many many restaurants, many kiosks, zoo, candy shops and attractions for all ages!

Nice amusement park with lots of attractions for people of different ages and taste. So much to do and see so be ready to spend the whole day there. If you go make sure to buy tickets in advance (they are also cheaper) and to buy the express option (skip line) given that the park is very crowd so without it you will just be able to go to a very few rides (1h or more average time without it). Protect yourself from the sun (it is very hot there and there are almost no shade anywhere) and when purchase drinks make sure to buy plenty as the line for these are huge too. Very popular attraction! If you go, the hot wheels show is a must!!

The Beer Museum in Blumenau is a place where visitors can explore the region's history of beer production with videos and antique brewing equipment. It is currently under renovation, but is scheduled to open in the second half of 2022. Eisenbahn Bierhaus, one of the brewery not to be missed on your list, is located nearby.

Central Beach is a popular tourist destination that features a long stretch of coastline where visitors can rent chairs and umbrellas. The area offers stunning views of the city and easy access to various eateries. During peak season, it can get quite crowded with lots of people enjoying the warm sea. It's worth noting that by 4:30 pm, the beach will be partially shaded by nearby buildings. Nevertheless, Central Beach remains an excellent place to unwind and relax while enjoying clean waters.

It's an idyllic destination to escape the hustle and bustle of city life. However, signal reception may not be reliable in some areas due to its remote location. The village didn't change much in the last 10 years, which - for me - is positive. I love the atmosphere. The lighthouse is somewhat nostalgic. If you're lucky, the Cardoso beach will surprise you with nice waves and crystal clear water.

Spectacular view from the top of the hill where the lighthouse sits. You have to park your car on the street and walk up a trail to the top of the hill , but it’s and extremely easy walk without too much inclination. It was summer when we went, so flowers were blooming and butterflies where hovering all around. This is a fascinating location for birdwatchers given the variety of birds flying around the trail. Once at the top of the hill and facing north, there’s is a stunning view of an old cemetery overlooking the ocean and a sand dune covered beach. Facing west, you are directly about the beach and town of Santa Marta. And East, is obviously an open view of the ocean crashing upon rocks. The lighthouse was closed, but even so, the view is worth the short hike up.

Great place for a city escape. Signal reception is not good, non existent in some places. The village is really small, with not much to do, specially at night. There are great beaches to visit, some accessed through short trails.

A very privileged view of the ocean, the Lighthouse is an unmissable tourist spot. The surrounding beaches are excellent.

An antique lighthouse that long ago functioned with whale oil.
Beautiful and well-maintained, with bright white paint. The reason I only gave 4 stars was due to faulty directions, Google deposited us next to a cemetery. A couple of locals told us we could get to the lighthouse from there, and we found a section of fence missing and a small footpath twisting among cactus and tall grasses and weeds. Once we arrived at the lighthouse we pivoted and saw a sign behind us warning that venomous snakes were in that area. The area we had just crossed. Now we had a snake-infested field between us and 12-yr-old and our car. We couldn't shout a warning to our kid because of the wind and waves, but fortunately he didn't try to follow us.
Anyway, I'm going to try to suggest a different route, but if you end up next to a cemetery, don't walk through the plants to get to the lighthouse!

Canion Malacara is a must-visit tourist attraction located in the Serra Geral National Park. It offers visitors an opportunity to enjoy a refreshing swim in natural pools of crystal clear water. The trailhead is 5 km away from Praia Grande in Santa Catarina and just over 25 km from Terra dos Canions. To reach the pools, visitors need to cross the canyon fissure and navigate around rocks to access one of the biggest pools within the park.
If you have experience with simple trails you dont need to go with a guide. BUT. you need a good gps. I used the garmin 66sr NOT a phone gps. There is no signal. Its hard to find the trail sometimes, especially when crossing the river. Snake protection is recommended and dont touch anything. Go long sleeved, and with long pants, vegetation is dense. Families or non biologists, I strongly recommend a guide. especially if there is rain its dangerous quickly so you need to be able to ‚read‘ the sky and weatherforcast.

(Translated by Google) The Malacara canyon, in June 2018, was not allowed to be visited from above, so we took the trail from below and it was very good, accompanied by the guide Giovani Bitencourt, as it is not allowed to do so without a guide, and he guided us very well. Because it is dry, much of the trail is through rocks. At the end of the trail there is a swimming pool and I couldn't resist... I loved seeing the canyon in the lower part of Praia Grande.

(Translated by Google) For those used to trails, it's an easy level. But you need to enter with a guide. And you can't camp. Quiet place and for anyone going to do Rio do Boi I recommend doing it first. I really liked it. Possible to do in half a day. Just can't do it with imminent rain forecast
(Original)
Para quem é acostumado com trilhas é nível fácil. Mas necessário entrar com guia. E não pode acampar. Lugar tranquilo e para quem for fazer o rio do boi eu recomendo fazer está antes. Gostei bastante. Possível fazer em meio dia. Apenas não pode fazer com previsão eminente de chuva

(Translated by Google) Very cold in winter, but it's worth it, especially for those who enjoy nature. Excellent place for trails and walks, but better and safer if accompanied by a guide. The roads from São José dos Ausentes are dirt and very bad, but it's worth the sacrifice. In addition to this canyon, you will be just a few km from others, as well as other tourist attractions, such as waterfalls...

Long & scenic public sand beach, over 20km long, next to a state park of the same name.
This beach is beautiful beyond words. It was a complete surprise to us as we did not expect it to be so beautiful. An added bonus was that we even saw a whale.

Acqua Lokos
Water park
Sights & Landmarks
Acqua Lokos, a serene establishment boasting cozy log cabins and offering an array of amenities such as a water park, petting zoo, restaurant, and bar. The water park itself provides thrilling rides that are pleasurable for visitors, along with delectable food options at reasonable prices. However, it is advisable to avoid weekends due to potential long queues. This remarkable destination presents diverse opportunities for amusement and dining experiences.
Incredible place. First, it's huge and there's so much to do. Took our 3 year old and there were a surprising amount of activities for someone her age. There are lots of pools and splashpads, various water slides for all ages and aventurine levels, a lazy river, a wave pool, pedal boats on the lake, a train ride to a farm with animals, roller coasters (even for toddlers), a ferris wheel, multiple play areas/ playgrounds. You could easily spend a couple of days here enjoying the park.
There are also bathrooms everywhere which is so nice with a little kid.
Tons of food choices and lots of chairs/ umbrellas for shade.
They also have a giant indoor water area if you want to go in the winter or even just get out of the sun a bit.
Overall amazing experience and if I lived closer I'd be getting the annual pass.
