Beautiful hiking trails with great views of Temuco. This is a must-do in Temuco, a city with limited touring attractions.
Gustavo Herrera — Google review
Fascinating jungle, which is located absolutely close to the city. Entry fee is very fair. It is best to go in on foot and explore the wonderful jungle paths. Even up on the mountain there are many other paths to follow

Nice trail and nice city view, a must-go in Temuco.

Dates: Sunday, Dec. 2017
Cost: $2.000CLP/pp for foreigners
Pros:
- Lots of trails to walk around with plenty of shade and quiet spots to sit and enjoy nature
- Beautiful lookout spots to take pictures of the surrounding city.
- You could definitely take a picnic and enjoy time out in nature here without being seen by others.
Cons:
- It's easy to get lost on a trail such that you have to trek back quite a bit of ways to get back to your car to check your phone often (you do have a signal)
- We thought the restaurant would be open so we did not take any food with us the day we went and for whatever reason it was not open nor were any hours posted.
Overall: We definitely plan to go back here and have a picnic and hike around the area, it's beautiful.

Great walk. Clean. Safe. Beautiful.

Good view of the city. Also a small restaurant at the top. A lot of birders get some special species here, if you are into that kind of thing. Easy drive up and down on mostly one way roads. 2000 peso entrance fee.

Long historic background we found in this symbolic hill, perfect for a day of trekking or cycling, the native forest is very well preserved, at the summit it counts with a little museum and picnic areas and the best overview of the flourishing city of Temuco. A must to visit.
Railway museum with historic trains & buildings, plus scenic journeys on a 1930 steam train.
We truly loved this museum... an incredible collection of steam trains in a wonderful building. Very much worth the stop!

If you are in Temuco, Chile, come and visit this place! Once a month you can take a old train trip! Be happy and make others happy!

Very complete show of old trains that run in Chile since beginning 1900's up to few years ago.
You could pay a little and take a tour inside rebuilt wagons. Dinner wagon, bedroom wagpn, presidential wagon and more.
Nice place with large park to walk around.
Francisco Duque — Google review
A beautiful train collection with a guided tour and poetry from Pablo Neruda.
Paci Muñoz — Google review
This is a great museum and the staff are really welcoming. Great value. If going by road, Google maps doesn't know where the entrance is! Follow the railway track from the ungated level crossing!
Edward Tobin — Google review
It is not yet inaugurated where the trains will be ... but still, a place you must visit in Temuco
Hermoso lugar!
Claudio Silvestre — Google review
This is gorgeous. You can feel the history, the machinery is well preserved (some trains are in bad shape, but others are in working condition), and the guided tour includes some nice and fun historical facts. The museum is free, and there's a special travel but it was suspended because the forest fires.
Pato Parra — Google review
It is one of the best museums in chile. Why? Because of the people there and the trains of course. The entrance was free. You can enter some wagons, also free. Super nice people there.

Large, scenic set of waterfalls surrounded by campgrounds & trails popular for horseback riding.
Great waterfalls to view once you walk down an easy trail lined with vendors selling arts & crafts, snacks, and the like. The walkway used to take you much closer to the falls, but (as of October 2023) the last part of the structure is still damaged from last year's rains. Hopefully, it'll reopen soon.

Worth to visit. Amount of water obviously variates during the year. You can also swim which is big plus and water is not so cold. Place is most likely crowded. Go on morning if you can.

Seppo Kenttäkumpu — Google review
Nice waterfall in southern Chile. We went in fall and there was a considerable amount of water still flowing. My guess is that summer would be the best time to see them as there would be lots more water. You can walk right up to the falls if you want but you have to be very careful as the rocks are slippery. There are local vendors all along the climb up to the falls where you can get some nice souvenirs and try local food.
Nelson A. Vidaurrazaga — Google review
Beautiful waterfall. Lots of mist from water splashing. Also check out the view of the fall from the top
leonard Spran — Google review
Salto del Laja (salto = fall , Laja it's the river name) so it's a fall, not far from route 5, crowded, few restaurants and Bed and breakfast a lot of places to buy things that you don't need. The falls are magnificent, I loved this place and even wasn't my destination, I really enjoyed this stopover. Worth it. It's free and you can get closer to the falls as you want to.
Oscar Miquel — Google review
Depending on the season of the year and if the year was rainy or not you can see a beautiful waterfall or not, anyways, it' always payoffs to stop by, stay at the hotel Salto del laja or have lunch / dinner at their restaurant. At this very moment is magnificent

The eating place is good, comfortable, we ordered quesadillas that were delicious and at a reduced price. Several items on the menu were not available. I asked for a prepared drink that was very bad, I returned it and asked that they bring me one that does not fail, combined. I had to pay for the bad drink!!! it wasn't cheap. Good attention.

We have visited here every year for the past 3 years. Last night. The roulette dealer tried to steal 1/2 of my wife's money. It was really obvious to me. She handed the money back. We notified the pit boss who basically said. Is everything good now. And she continued to run the table. We left. Unbelievable

Good place to hang out, although the food they sell is not of high quality and the drinks are bad and expensive. The good thing is that they offer shows at no additional cost to the entrance, that's why I say that it's good to hang out. The customer service is lousy, the attention is bad, those who attend are generally bitter, they do not have a casino atmosphere. This casino is one of the worst I have attended in terms of attention, but at least a panorama for a while.

Nature & Parks
Villarrica is an active snow-capped volcano that offers guided climbing adventures with stunning views of the surrounding lakes. The Geometric Thermal Springs, located within the Villarrica Volcano National Park, provide a natural and relaxing experience amidst native forests. Climbing the volcano is described as both challenging and rewarding, with the option to slide down on a sled after reaching the summit.
Finish climbing 10 mins ago, it was really an adventure and an great challenge. Several times nearly gave up, but finally succeed.
Strongly suggest take the cable car for the first part of climbing
remember to take sun glasses

Climbing an actual active volcano sounds pretty dope. It was! And super exhausting! The tour was phenomenal. The only downside was that we couldn't see any real lava #champagneproblems On the way down you get to use your little sled you've been carrying with you along the way and slide down the volcano on your butt. Interesting experience.
Moritz Erdt — Google review
Challenging climb but defined possible with crampons and ice ax, even without guide. Some mountaineering experience is important tho and you should feel comfortable in your gear
bendix holtgraefe — Google review
Not an easy hike, but worth it! You can find a tour company that will take you up the volcano. It took our group about 6 hours up and 2 hours on the way down (sledding down!). Make sure to bring lots of food and water in your pack and wear warm clothes and lots of layers - it's cold up there!

Portal Salto Huilo Huilo
Outdoor Activities
Hiking area
Dramatic cascade over a forest-covered volcanic cliff, accessed via a short hiking trail.
Great hike. Not too long. Takes under 2hrs. Get to see from the top and from the bottom. Can swim in the river at the bottom, but REALLY cold.
Christopher McPhee — Google review
Portal Salto Huilo Huilo is a gateway to exploring the natural beauty of Huilo Huilo Biological Reserve in Chile. Visitors can access the Sendero Salto Huilo Huilo, a self-guided trek leading to a cascading waterfall. The portal also offers the Sendero Botánico for those interested in the diverse plant life of the temperate rainforest.
Here's a quick summary of what you can expect at Portal Salto Huilo Huilo:
* Pros: Easy access to waterfalls and hiking trails, beautiful scenery (it depends on the tourist guide)
* Cons: Limited facilities.
Overall, Portal Salto Huilo Huilo is a great option for a day trip or a starting point for further exploration of the Huilo Huilo Biological Reserve.
Sivaraj Durairaj — Google review
Would get 5 stars if all the little finer details were seen too. Lots of small finishing touches that just need a little attention like loose wires from speakers visible in the dining rooms, poor sound proofing between rooms (beach front hotel), street dogs regularly on hotel premises, booking of hotel facilities only available on site at the particular hotel rather than cross centers (not hard for reception to call across and check availability for guests or a booking platform online to be out in place?). Otherwise most things were excellent, polite helpful (within bounds) staff, tasty food, beautiful settings etc.
Nick Foulds — Google review
Portal Salto Huilo Huilo is the entrance to the waterfalls named as the biological reserve where they are located. They are impressive.
There are 2 companies that provide the park service, however I would recommend to take the Parque Neltume service, as it has much better view than Portal Salto service.
You have to be prepared to walk down through steep ladders if you want to have a bottom view.
Gonzalo Contreras del Solar — Google review

Termas Geometricas is a hotel located in a forested national park, around a two-hour drive from Pucon in Chile. The area surrounding the hotel is endowed with natural hot springs, with over 60 sources of water emanating from the nearby volcanoes. This hotel offers visitors an opportunity to experience the beauty and relaxation of natural hot springs while enjoying the scenic views of the forested national park.
This place was amazing!
It was very relaxing to spend a day here. The road is not very easy with a few gravel parts.
Be careful with wounds in the water because the minerals in the water will make them sting.
There are multiple very nice pools. The temperature that is by the different pools is not always correct so be careful trying to go in too fast 😅.
You can eat and drink something but it is quite expensive.
There are little cabinets where you can change clothes and little lockers for which you can get a lock at the entrance.
Enjoy!

We have been here twice, once Dec 2021 and about 10 years earlier. It’s a beautiful location. My husband and boys all braved the small waterfall before plunging back in to the warm pools. My husband twice braved the large waterfall at the end of the termas. We did notice that it was much busier on our recent visit although entry times are controlled. Definitely worth a visit!

Went on a Sunday morning (9am) and it was beautiful. Not very busy at this time. After a few hours of using the pools, we went to the restaurant for some lunch and drinks. Really relaxing and stunning scenery, definitely recommend. We didn't take any books but wish we did! Would have been great to spend a few more hours reading in the pools.

Loved it. It's pricier than a lot of other options in the area but I thought it was beautifully designed and really enjoyed my time there.
Kathy Darling — Google review
An incredible setting for a spa site. The pools are all beautiful and evocative, often with mossy walls around them. The waterfall at the bottom of the walkway is exceptional. It is a well organized site but a bit touristy, so during peak hours there are too many noisy children. It is quite expensive and so is the cafeteria, which among other things offers a list of foods which are inexplicably not available when you order. Vegetarian and vegan options are on the list but in the end these are salads with bread at very high prices. Two stars less for this mockery

Really great, unique experience. Highly recommend. Out in the middle of nature, a couple hours from Pucón. Multiple pools of hot water from 35 to 40 degrees with a gorgeous 10 meter waterfall (of ice cold water) at the end. A red painted walkway surrounded by lush green vegetation guides the way.

It is a great place, a bit expensive but worth the price. It's not over crowded and it's very calming.
There are bathrooms and changing rooms but no showers or other normal hot springs amenities.

Termas Geométricas is a bit of a challenge to reach. The final stretch of the road is particularly rough, especially since it’s not paved. Admission costs around 50 euros per person.
It’s best to visit the thermal baths when it’s cold or rainy. The water temperatures range from 43 to 35 degrees Celsius, offering a soothing experience amidst the elements.
Aside from that, the setting amidst Villarrica is stunning, with numerous lakes dotting the surroundings. Overall, Termas Geométricas offers a unique opportunity to relax and unwind in a beautiful natural environment.

Better than I ever imagined sitting in hot water for 3 hours could possibly be. Paradise on earth amongst the Gunnera, Fuchsias, ferns, and hummingbirds.
A selection of temperatures from cold water up to I think it was 44°C
I came as part of a tour group, but if you have your own transport, I'd recommend getting there for opening time before all the tour groups turn up at the same time. And bring flip-flops or Crocs, it's slippery in bare feet.

Magical! The pictures don't do it justice, you have to experience this place for yourself. We went on an off-season Sunday, it felt like we had a little corner of heaven to ourselves. One of the highlights of our trip.
Stijn Renneboog — Google review
Incredible place! I was told it's the best of all the hot springs around Pucon. I can see why!
I also read somewhere that it's the best in the world. It's not. The walkways here are super slick, which makes them dangerous. And there's ONE bathroom location in this entire place and it's at the entrance. They don't even have signs to point you to the bathroom, meaning everyone in my group walked right past them. So you can imagine why everyone is peeing in the pools.
And to clear up a huge miscommunication; this place does NOT rent towels. They're for purchase only, at 12,000 per towel. So bring your own :)
The restaurant is amazing! Loved the pizza.
Also really loved the lush surroundings, the tons of different pool temps, and the contrasting red walkways.
Definitely a highlight of Chile!

This is one magical place. I was there on a Tuesday in November and arrived about 1 p.m. I had a little economy car and it did fine on the gravel road getting to the hot springs. For a ticket, I got it when I arrived (they take credit cards). Definitely bring a towel. You get a locker / lock with your admission.
There are three areas for changing / bathrooms - when you enter, mid-level, and at the end of the ravine. The outdoor changing room doubles as the area for 8 - 10 lockers. I changed in the area closest to the entrance, left my clothes and towel in the locker, walked to the far end of the pools, and then worked my way back to the beginning over 3.5 hours. I also brought in a water bottle. I wore sandals for walking and found it helpful. My friend was barefoot and she found the wood slippery. Of the 20 bath areas, there were only 3 that were too hot to get into. Also available is the occasional cold shower / plunge pool. The place never felt crowded, it was very relaxing, people were friendly, and it was stunningly beautiful.
Yes, it's pricier and it's worth it. I've been to hot springs around the world and these are truly one of a kind.
Carolyn Janette — Google review
We visited this place just today, a Sunday, and were able to walk in right away at 11:00 am without a reservation. We had tried to make a reservation last night but as others have noted, the website does not seem to accept foreign credit cards, unlike every other establishment here in Chile so far. Luckily it did not matter, we were able to walk right in.
The setting was gorgeous, very well designed to take advantage of the natural terrain and flow of the water. The numerous pools were of different temperatures and you were easily able to find one just to your liking of temperature. The restrooms and changing rooms were a bit rustic, but very much in keeping with the surroundings and we were not displeased with them at all. There was very much a "Jurassic Park" feel to the setting. We spent two hours relaxing and going between pools, and it exceeded our expectations. Well worth the higher charge than many other hot springs. The drive in was partly gravel, and one had to pay attention to the potholes and when meeting other cars on that stretch, but it was better than some roads we've driven on further south in Chile.

Parque Nacional Villarrica, camino Coñaripe Km 16, Panguipulli, Los Ríos, Chile
Popular spot in the jungle for hiking, swimming and picnics, with deep blue ponds and a waterfall.
Beautiful place, it’s really just about the purity of nature and serenity
Claudio A. — Google review
Probably the most touristy spot in pucon. If you go into this knowing this it’ll be more enjoyable for you. Several platforms around the lagoons that end up being very crowded with people waiting to take pictures and then leaving. But even with the crowds it’s incredibly beautiful and absolutely worth the visit. Only takes about 30-60 minutes to see the whole area and tickets can be bought at the entrance
If your looking for a more private experience then check out any of the numerous waterfalls along Rio palguin that’s about a 15-20 minute drive away

A gentile walk within a park where you can see a small part of this river, small but beautiful falls, and a crystalline small lagoon, they call it the Blue Lagoon.

Beautiful blue clear water pools surrounded by waterfalls. Plenty of picnic tables and places to sit and have lunch. The walks to see all the waterfalls is short and we’ll maintained with viewing decks and paths. It cost 10,000 pesos for our entire family and we spent about an hour. There were several restaurants and shops although all were closed when we were there.

Beautiful waterfalls and lagoons with lots of short trails to explore. Good value at $2000 per person. Turn right out of the exit if you want to avoid the gravel road back to Pucon!

Worth the visit. Tickets were not expensive, there is plenty of parking space. Also, you can have lunch and coffee if you would like to. About the nature, we really enjoyed the different views regarding the stairs and platforms. You could see the waterfalls from different angles

You can reach this beautiful place with your car easily. The entrance fee per person is $2,000. It is really unique waterfall to see.
However, it’s very crowded and the pathway is not very exciting to walk on. Most of the time you’d be waiting on other people to pass, finish their photos, and finish viewing the falls. You could walk the “entire park” within 10 minutes, but thanks to waiting in queues or trying to walk pass people, it took us 30min.

This is about a 9hr drive down from Santiago, I brought the Packraft out not really knowing what to expect. This is a massive lake (with equally massive lakes nearby) all with exceptionally clear blue waters. This was an amazing paddle and the water to extremely clam while I was there. I was able to fly the drone and get spectacular views of surrounding mountains and Volcanoes. This is absolutely a favorite spot for the locals and can get pretty packed, however the beaches are pretty clean. You are able to rent jet skis and kayak as well. There are a series of small gift shops/snacks shacks and pay as you go bathrooms (300CLP). We got here early and were able to beat the rush and find more secluded parking a bit further down the road under a shade tree(car camping) Although there’s not camping on the beach, there are two spots we found on iOverlander that worked for us for a night.
If you enjoy swimming and sunbathing while taking in incredible views and down mind a small crowed I’d definitely recommend this. If your looking to get further out on the water it makes it that much butter! 🚣♂️

Huerquehue National Park
National park
Nature & Parks
Huerquehue National Park is a vast mountainous area with ancient forests, lakes, and hiking trails. The park offers stunning landscapes of araucarias forests and pristine alpine lakes. Visitors can embark on all-day excursions to explore the beautiful scenery, including waterfalls and the challenging San Sebastian trail. While some trails may be difficult due to snow or steep terrain, the breathtaking views make it worthwhile for outdoor enthusiasts.
Well maintained trails and beautiful forest and lake views. Only wish the last 6km of the road leading to the park
is paved.

1) you absolutely must book your tickets online as they do not under any circumstances let you pay there.
2) moderate to difficult because of the high ascent (I think around 500m), but the trail is basically all uphill to go (and downhill to comeback).
3) very beautiful trail.

Nice park, where one can see 3 pristine alpine lakes along with two large waterfalls on the way. As of Oct 2022, the trails were muddy and largely covered in snow making the hike quite difficult. I imagine the experience is even better in summer or fall👍

Beautiful and gorgeous National Park, the walk to the Laguna Verde took us about 2 hrs but the view is breathtaking and worth it. Was a very hard hike in a very stepped hill, so might not be suitable for everyone. The price for adults is $3500 clp and foreign tourists $7000 clp
Ernie Shepherd — Google review
Beautiful forest and friendly staff. Make sure you go early enough if you want to do the full trails, it’s not your average walk in the park. If you go with the bus you arrive at 9h30 and the bus back is at 17h10. So doing the lagoon walk which is around 700m of walking up and 16km in length can take a while.
The first waterfall (Nido de aguila) is a good spot to take some typical waterfall pictures.

Conguillío National Park is a picturesque park with an active volcano at its center, called Volcan Llaima. With consistent but safe levels of activity since 2002, this park offers various activities for nature lovers such as hiking, kayaking, birdwatching and paleontology amidst volcanic mountains and monkey puzzle trees.

Beautiful park. Will add info on roads as of April 2024 as was hard to find online. Lago conguillo is kind of the mid point between curacautin and melipeuco. We had a 2WD sedan and came from the north (curacautin).
Road was okay with one steep manageable gravel section right after the laguna capture until just before getting to the main parking area at Lago conguillo. Was a fairly steep descent on firm road but had some deep ruts that were challenging to navigate.
Had to debate going back that route vs continuing through the park and looping back around via Temuco. Ultimately decided on the latter and although it was a long drive was probably the right decision as it would have been tough to tackle with 2WD and not worth the risk. Also the drive back to Melipeuco had some wonderful scenery that was worth it.
It had been pretty dry in the lead up to our visit so I don't imagine it could be much better. Could probably have tried going back towards curacautin but would have been risky. Would recommend 4WD unless coming from the south.

Gorgeous park with a variety of trails. Slight downside is that the park is designed for visitors with cars. As mochileros we had to walk quite a while on the roads in between trails. However people inside the park are very generous and will often offer lifts so it is possible- but more complicated- to visit without a car.

Must see national park in Chile. Although there is absolutely no signal or WiFi, it is a must see! We spend 3 days and 2 nights here and it wasn't enough to conquer the park. The hikes are stunning, the lakes are gorgeous and there's kayaking and a few other activities to do too. When I was googling which parks to prioritise during my time in Chile, this one didn't come up. But after talking to Chilean's who've done most of the parks, this is the favourite for everyone and I can see why. Will definitely be visiting again to do the hikes we couldn't do. You can stay on the outskirts and drive in, stay in cabins in the park or camp. As English staying in Santiago, we didn't have camping equipment so opted for a cabin in the park itself. Very pricey, not very clean and surprisingly noisy because the smaller cabins (2/3) people are one cabin split into two. Our neighbours in the other half were VERY loud at all hours and for this reason we would either bite the bullet and buy camping equipment or drive in each day as it ruined the experience and was annoying considering the cost.
Abi Bricey — Google review
It's truly amazing. The Araucana forest nestled among snow-capped peaks was unforgettable.
But do not expect to get near the volcanoes unless you are seriously fit, very well equipped, and part of a similarly-equipped group. With enough time to go slow, because the massive chunks of volcanic slag make seriously hard terrain.

Great park with varied hikes. A good option to beat the crowd is to get there on a Sunday and stay at one of the lodgings/campsites which allows you to visit the park on Monday when it is closed. The Pastos blancos + escoriales loop is quite beautiful (better than sierra nevada in my opinion).

This park is a great opportunity to relax in nature, choosing a walking route according to your own strengths: there is a very easy track 1 km long, there is a more difficult one for 6 km (12 km round-trip) and very difficult for 19 km with a serious climb. In the first two tracks you will find a walk through a stunning forest with araucaria and other giant trees, and in the third - a long walk through lava wastelands and slag cones with amazing views.

They say that on the entire trail you can see the 4 volcanoes.
On the way out it is a path with a considerable inclination, between 20 to 40° in some sections. I doubt that a child or someone not used to trekking can do it easily, and due to its distance and inclination I think it is a medium-high trail. It took us 2:30 hours to go up, with breaks only to catch our breath and hydrate, and 1 hour to go down.
But the view is totally worth it.
You only need trekking shoes and water, because the path itself is only with leafy dirt, but inclined, that is its only difficulty.

Do You Like Volcanoes?
Then come and visit Volcán Batea Mahuida.
This is a very Beautiful Volcano that can be hard to visit for various reasons such as if there is Bad Weather such as Snow, then it will be very hard to get up to the top, or if there are a lot of Clouds In The Sky then its' visibility will also make it hard to see as well!
During our excursion, we did try to get to the top of the volcano using a 4x4, but we gave up due to the amount of snow that was on the road.
However, we saw it from another place called "Parque De Nieve Batea Mahuida".
I am just so glad that we did Not Give Up On It because I Really Love Volcanoes!

Rio Agrio, Neuquén, Argentina
I'll never travel to Tandil without this trip planner again
Museo Paleontológico Municipal Ernesto Bachmann in Neuquen may be small, but it holds some remarkable exhibits. Visitors can marvel at dinosaur nests, replicas of local discoveries, and a fascinating ancient shark jaw that's a popular spot for photos. Despite its size, the museum never fails to impress its visitors with its dramatic displays. It's definitely worth a visit if you're in the area and have an interest in paleontology.
Nice place to visit if you’re in the area.

This is an amazing Dinosaur Museum which is located about one (1) hour outside of Neuquen Capital City and many people have recommended it to me.
They have several rooms with exhibits and replicas on Dinosaurs and there is even a place just a few kilometers away by the Lago Ezequiel Ramos Mexia where you can even see Dinosaur Footprints.
Wow!
I personally want to Thank Joe and Shelley from the Iglesia Bautista Biblica Church in Neuquen Capital City for taking ME there back on Sunday, April 16, 2017.
I personally want to Thank Maria Rosas for the fantastic and detailed tour!
I will Never forget this Experience!

Limay River is a stunning natural attraction formed by the joining of Limay and Neuquen rivers, naturally delimiting two provinces. The clear blue waters offer a refreshing escape from the summer heat, making it a favorite spot for locals. Visitors can kayak along 35 kilometers to reach Neuquen, enjoying the picturesque surroundings. However, some areas are marred by litter and misuse, detracting from its beauty.

I am really happy that I visited zoo today back on Saturday, April 22, 2017!
It was highly recommended and it was also listed on the tourist map all the way from Neuquen Capital City of Argentina.
This zoo is fairly new and has been open for the past seven (7) years.
I also think that the selection of animals are very nice to see as you can see in the pictures that I have provided on Google.
I also want to personally thank Andrea Soriano for providing me with a Fantastic Tour and for allowing me to feed Rosalie the Parrot.

Complete animal abuse. It's really sad because so many small zoos like this still exist all over the world and are unregulated. In theory, some zoos could be beneficial if the animals were indeed rescued and/or there were conservation programs enacted but this is not one of those cases.
When I visited, it was in the middle of winter (30°F) and of course all the animals have tiny shelters where they can sleep at night but they are very small and dark. Naturally, the animals need sunlight and outdoor time so they're outside shivering and if they're lucky to be with others, huddling to keep warm.
The enclosures are small and have no stimulation or proper environmental foilage or anything. The birdcages were tiny and only had two branches for the birds to roost on. The monkeys looked extremely lonely, a chimpanzee and two other types by themselves when they are clearly social animals. Overall a very sad experience.

It is important to have good shoes for the trek, carry a backpack to keep water and food inside (DO NOT TAKE A BAG BECAUSE WHEN YOU HAVE TO CLIMB IT YOU WILL WANT TO REVOLVE IT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE HILL 😂) and above all the best coat since up temperatures are often twice as low. A guide is assigned for each group (Damián Reyes the best of all, a way to explain and teach us details that one sometimes does not know about nature), the cost per person the day we went was $2000 per person. There are 6 km of trails that take between 5 and 6 hours with great intensity in posts 1,5,6 and 7. Posts 2, 3 and 4 have a slight slope. Post 8 is a plateau that precedes the final attack on the window at Post 9 with a steep slope rising between large stones. Get there early to get a place to climb (120 places per day). You go up with park guides in groups of 15 people. A good way to verify the physical condition is to do the piletones days before the trail, that will give an idea of the effort that is required in the high intensity posts.

It is recommended to go before 9 a.m. when the gate opens to get to the park ranger offices. Take 2 liters of water, food and good shoes to climb over stones and gravel. It is good to first inquire at the tourist offices of Villa Ventana or Soerra d la Ventana. We had a guide who is a biologist called Samanta, an absolute genius, highly recommended. It would only improve the attention of the Park Rangers since one was very rigid in terms of canzafba for others. Water, since it was cold and with a bottle it was enough. (Translated by Google) The first section (from the base to station 1) is killer. It's a little scary, but then it gets less steep. At this station you can decide to get off and continue along the path of the piletones and Garganta Olvidada (we didn't do it, but they told us there was little water).
There are 10 stations in total. Until the 4th you can go down on your own. If you decide not to continue after the 4th, the entire group becomes with you, since they cannot leave you alone. From the 5th to the 8th station there are larger stones that require longer strides. From the 8th to the 10th it is quiet.
The views are unmatched. So it's worth doing.
The "Russian" guide was spectacular. I highlight it because half of it was the landscape and the other half was his company and explanations of the area.
The entrance fee was $1000 to the Park and $7500 to climb the Hill, per person.
We were lucky enough to form a good group of 30 people (out of season they usually go less) and see a Moray Eagle, a Guanaco, among other specimens of fauna and flora of the place.
Since we visited the park during Holy Week and there were a lot of people, the groups got quite close together and we couldn't stay long when we got to the Window. We quickly took photos and left. I understand that it is so that more people can do it.
In high season I recommend going very early, the gate opens at 7:30 am, but people gather before that time. We went at 7 and there was already a line of cars. Since the quota is only 300 people, once it is full, it closes. It happened to us the first day we tried and we were left outside.

The guide is very good and friendly.
The wine and regional products store is very nice. The restaurant that existed and closed during the pandemic is missing. Given its location it would be nice to have a place to have lunch and taste wines.

(Translated by Google) It should be noted that it can be reached on foot from the town. However, we were not able to access the tour since they had everything booked for the next shifts for the next 3 hours, so we left without knowing the behind the scenes of the winery. He also highlighted that it is a very nice property and you can buy wines and jams at the wine-shop.

(Translated by Google) It is a very small winery, if we compare it with those in Mendoza. Once you enter, at the sales place they inform you about the guided tour inside the winery, there the guide explains the process that is carried out with the different strains, to obtain the different wines, irrigation system, etc. .
Finally they take you to the room to taste the wines...
Excellent atention

(Translated by Google) We went a while ago and the guide either wasn't having a good day or wasn't interested at all. Therefore the visit was sad and boring. Accessible price entrance and nice place, close to the town. I would not go back...
