Since I was in 1st grade they bullied me and the inspectorate did nothing but when I defended myself they accused me and sent me to detention and the teachers don't teach anything because of course it is a public school but they bullied me a lot since I was 3 years old and Because of him I suffer depression and anger at the same time because of those memories.

Large, scenic set of waterfalls surrounded by campgrounds & trails popular for horseback riding.
Great waterfalls to view once you walk down an easy trail lined with vendors selling arts & crafts, snacks, and the like. The walkway used to take you much closer to the falls, but (as of October 2023) the last part of the structure is still damaged from last year's rains. Hopefully, it'll reopen soon.

Worth to visit. Amount of water obviously variates during the year. You can also swim which is big plus and water is not so cold. Place is most likely crowded. Go on morning if you can.

Nice, beautiful place. Good path to the fall.
Seppo Kenttäkumpu — Google review
Nice waterfall in southern Chile. We went in fall and there was a considerable amount of water still flowing. My guess is that summer would be the best time to see them as there would be lots more water. You can walk right up to the falls if you want but you have to be very careful as the rocks are slippery. There are local vendors all along the climb up to the falls where you can get some nice souvenirs and try local food.
Nelson A. Vidaurrazaga — Google review
Beautiful waterfall. Lots of mist from water splashing. Also check out the view of the fall from the top
leonard Spran — Google review
Salto del Laja (salto = fall , Laja it's the river name) so it's a fall, not far from route 5, crowded, few restaurants and Bed and breakfast a lot of places to buy things that you don't need. The falls are magnificent, I loved this place and even wasn't my destination, I really enjoyed this stopover. Worth it. It's free and you can get closer to the falls as you want to.
Oscar Miquel — Google review
Depending on the season of the year and if the year was rainy or not you can see a beautiful waterfall or not, anyways, it' always payoffs to stop by, stay at the hotel Salto del laja or have lunch / dinner at their restaurant. At this very moment is magnificent

I easily counted about 20. What's more, there are a good number that are tucked away in a corner, about 10. This makes the options few for non-smokers. The eating place is good, comfortable, we ordered quesadillas that were delicious and at a reduced price. Several items on the menu were not available. I asked for a prepared drink that was very bad, I returned it and asked that they bring me one that does not fail, combined. I had to pay for the bad drink!!! it wasn't cheap. Good attention.

We have visited here every year for the past 3 years. Last night. The roulette dealer tried to steal 1/2 of my wife's money. It was really obvious to me. She handed the money back. We notified the pit boss who basically said. Is everything good now. And she continued to run the table. We left. Unbelievable

Good place to hang out, although the food they sell is not of high quality and the drinks are bad and expensive. The good thing is that they offer shows at no additional cost to the entrance, that's why I say that it's good to hang out. The customer service is lousy, the attention is bad, those who attend are generally bitter, they do not have a casino atmosphere. This casino is one of the worst I have attended in terms of attention, but at least a panorama for a while.

This high-end hotel features contemporary accommodations and luxurious suites, along with a casino offering various entertainment options. Guests can enjoy two pools, regular live performances, and a convenient location. The rooms are superb and the breakfast is delicious and plentiful. The hotel maintains cleanliness well and the staff is helpful and friendly. The only drawback observed was a slight odor in the corridors on the seventh floor, possibly due to aged carpets. Nonetheless, this newer establishment is beautifully decorated and maintained.

Dates: Sunday, Dec. 2017
Cost: $2.000CLP/pp for foreigners
Pros:
- Lots of trails to walk around with plenty of shade and quiet spots to sit and enjoy nature
- Beautiful lookout spots to take pictures of the surrounding city.
- You could definitely take a picnic and enjoy time out in nature here without being seen by others.
Cons:
- It's easy to get lost on a trail such that you have to trek back quite a bit of ways to get back to your car to check your phone often (you do have a signal)
- We thought the restaurant would be open so we did not take any food with us the day we went and for whatever reason it was not open nor were any hours posted.
Overall: We definitely plan to go back here and have a picnic and hike around the area, it's beautiful.

Long historic background we found in this symbolic hill, perfect for a day of trekking or cycling, the native forest is very well preserved, at the summit it counts with a little museum and picnic areas and the best overview of the flourishing city of Temuco. A must to visit.

Very complete show of old trains that run in Chile since beginning 1900's up to few years ago.

Hermoso lugar!
Claudio Silvestre — Google review
This is gorgeous. You can feel the history, the machinery is well preserved (some trains are in bad shape, but others are in working condition), and the guided tour includes some nice and fun historical facts. The museum is free, and there's a special travel but it was suspended because the forest fires.
Pato Parra — Google review
It is one of the best museums in chile. Why? Because of the people there and the trains of course. The entrance was free. You can enter some wagons, also free. Super nice people there.
Anibal Pinto Plaza is a public square adorned with verdant lawns, towering palm trees, and pathways. It also boasts a prominent bronze sculpture. Despite the beauty of the park and its majestic trees, unfortunately, some locals have vandalized the statues and defaced certain areas. This disregard for the city is disheartening to witness. However, visitors can still enjoy the convenience of Wi-Fi connectivity in this pleasant location which provides an ideal setting to meet someone and capture beautiful photographs.
Nice square. You can been hanging around. Full security.

(Translated by Google) I give the stars for the historical value. But it does not deserve them.... It is a shame that having the resources (national monuments) it is not maintained or conserved. In resolutions from 2008 and 2009, it is observed that there is no concern to maintain the site. Today, after my visit, I am left with a somewhat sour feeling: it is very easy to get there, but there is poor road signage in relation to its location, it is only announced on the road from San José to Mehuin, and not towards the other direction. road . Furthermore, when you are already on the road to the fort, it is only announced when you are on top of the monument, but nowhere on the route, not even when you start it.
We noticed that there was a gastronomic meeting over the weekend (7 days ago) and there are still platforms, cables and plastic cups next to the Cruces River. Little concern for the organizer of the event (The Municipality of San José de Mariquina itself).

The individuals who serve at Cafetería Parque Oncol are incredibly affectionate; the establishment is compact and inviting due to its cabin-like design, resulting in a limited number of tables available. Corral Bay is a picturesque body of water traversed by multiple ferries and fishing boats. The bay is adorned with lush forest trails and historical colonial forts dating back to the 1600s. A cycling route starting from Valdivia offers a scenic journey, although caution is advised for motorists overtaking in opposite lanes. While lacking police control, this southern route remains stunning and unforgettable. Upon returning to Valdivia, visitors have the opportunity to explore local breweries.

Jardín Botánico UACh is a charming botanical garden established in 1957, showcasing a diverse collection of native trees and vegetation from Chile and around the world. Unlike traditional gardens, it focuses on mature trees rather than flowers, creating a captivating experience. The garden is open daily during specific hours and offers a serene environment for leisurely strolls or quiet reading. Visitors can enjoy the natural beauty while observing various bird species.
This is an unusual botanical garden in that there are no flowers -- just huge, mature, stately trees whose grandeur and song ( in any wind) is captivating. Allow an hour to stroll, not hustle, through the experience. If you have your meditations or reading with you, allow more time. Sidelight: lots of fun student canoodling in the vistas and bushes.

About two decades ago I tried to visit this waterfall, and the road was of dirt with many stones which were not pleasant for the car.
I addition, you need to wait for a small pontoon to cross you a river. It was raining heavily, so we decided to skip the visit. This year the road was fully paved and a bridge was in place where the old pontoon use to operate.
The waterfall signs were very small and I almost passed. You could only see it from a distance.

But it is really worth it, I recommend wearing comfortable clothes because it is a lot of trekking.
First you arrive, you pay and you go by car to the “entrance of the trail” the road is wonderful, and within the trail there are many viewpoints

(Translated by Google) Currently the park has two entrances, Riñinahue and Sector Pitreño (a 4x4 is required here).
I entered the park backpacking with my partner, so keep in mind that you can get there by bus if you are walking, in our case when we got off the bus we hitchhiked and they took us to the Las Nalcas parking lot. But if you decide to walk, it takes approximately 20 minutes to get to the entrance where you have to pay $14,000 pesos and they have bathrooms and cafeteria service. After passing that part, it is a path under the direct sun, so try to manage to go up and down by hitchhiking, because in our case we had to go down on foot and from Pichi lagoon it was approximately 2 hours under the sun D:
I recommend the place but the entrance fee to the park seems excessive to me. To be clear, you arrive at the Las Nalcas parking lot and from there you walk 50 minutes to reach the Pichi lagoon, which by the way is a very beautiful area and then if you have time there is a 3-4 hour walk (7.5 km ) at the beginning of lava fields.

The trekking to Laguna Pichi is very nice, it is totally worth it and I recommend stopping at the viewpoints that are on the road since they are very beautiful waterfalls and pools.

Admission is currently $13,000 pp. The park is beautiful. The trails are little intervened, but they are very clear. It has a fabulous microclimate, with beautiful waterfalls and wonderful bright greenery. Jungle smells like forest and rain! Recommended to spend the day if you like trekking, photography or some nautical sports.
I don't recommend the cafeteria, expensive and bad, but the Park is beautiful.

It is a beautiful place, immersed in the Valdivian jungle, in a very special ecosystem full of life. They have multiple self-guided trails and some that can only be done with a guide after booking for at least 24 hours.
We loved being able to walk through it, we took the burnt stone path and we were able to see different species of birds, reptiles, we saw a mountain monkey and a variety of insects. In some parts of the trail the croaking of frogs can be heard loudly. We had an incredible time.
For the price of the ticket, we would have expected that all the railings and viewpoints were in perfect condition and that the bathroom located in Laguna Pichi was fully enabled. The bathroom did not have toilet paper, soap or electricity, and we also wanted to rent kayaks but there was no one to ask. The water of the lagoon is very cold, but coming back from a walk it is nice to get in for a little while.

Amazing place! Worth a visit even if you're not that much into cars.

What a gem in the middle of nowhere! The owner was there and we had the nicest chat about how he developed the museum. A must if you are in the area!

We nearly drove past this museum, but did a u turn and went in. What a surprise to find such an amazing collection here. My husband is interested in cars, so of course he loved it; but even as someone who is not particularly keen on cars, I found it fascinating. The toys, household items and agricultural equipment were interesting too. It was great to chat to the founder who had collected all these cars and hear how he had started the collection; the music and photographic displays spoke of his passion too. We did not use the cafe, as it was a bit early for lunch, but it could make a great lunch stop. Lovely place!

If you like cars, for the price it is worth it.
Way more cars then expected. I would do a small detour for this if I knew the place. For was accidental.
Google maps hours were incorrect, stating open as of 3pm, but was open at noon already.

Casual accommodations in a remote spa resort with indoor & outdoor geothermal pools, plus mini-golf.
Cabanas have been upgraded and each have a hot tub outside with hot spring water to fill them. Beds are comfortable, heating inside sufficient and kitchen well supplied.

Great service.

We had a horrible experience, we were a group of 5 Argentines with the c19 pass who accepted us at the customs but they did not accept us at the hot springs, they did not let us pass, they did not return our money, they did not give us wi-fi so that we could do the pass on the spot... they really didn't take into account that we are coming from another country, that we traveled a lot of hours to go there... horrible service
Florencia Battocchia — Google review
We traveled by bus from Osorno to visit the hot spring here, and we had quite low expectations based on some previous reviews. But our experience was really great, the outdoor pool opens at 12:30 so we went to get some lunch first at the restaurant which was surprisingly delicious. The thermal bath itself was lovely and not too crowded at all (weekday between Christmas and new year). There is a cold shower so we alternated between the hot spring and the cold shower and got the wim hof buzz!
It’s really good value (6500 CLP) and we had a great and relaxing day.
The shower and changing facilities are also pretty good and seemed quite new.
If you’re in Osorno already and are looking for a day trip then I’d really recommend - but just don’t expect Japanese onsen levels of serene surroundings (but it’s not a million miles off!)

The outside pool is probably the cheapest hot spring you can find, great deal The coffee at nearby restaurant was almost as expensive as entrance fee to the pool.

The Domo rooms are amazing! Love the soap and shampoo provided. The service for check-in was excellent and Lucas who helped us to our room was fabulous.
The hot springs themselves are very dated but hot so that was nice. We had a private hot tub and preferred that over the hot springs anyway.
We had the discovery package which included the meals, I'd say it's worth it for the price but the food quality could be elevated. The service for breakfast however was abismal... No one replenishing the food or drinks.

Had a wonderful experience at this resort for a night and wishing it was for a week. The resort is nice and well organized and easily accessed via main road. The dome cabins were a great experience specially in a rainy morning and foggy sunrise. I cannot speak highly enough of the resort. I would be returning for a longer stay.

We enjoyed our cabin really much for the four nights we spent at the ski resort. The drive back and forth has beautiful views and is not too long. The chalet was really comfortable and the private hot spring water tube the best!

I attended twice with two children. It's an amazing place! The water is so hot! I recommend the outer pool for being south kids. It has more air and the sight is gorgeous.
Downsides: the dressing rooms are not comfortable and if you leave the pool, for whatever reason, you are not allowed to return.

Lake Llanquihue, the second largest lake in Chile, is a picturesque destination featuring stunning views of the iconic Osorno volcano. The surrounding area was settled by German colonists in the 19th century, giving it distinctive customs, architecture, and gastronomy. Visitors can explore quaint towns and enjoy various tourist attractions around the lake. The area offers opportunities for leisurely walks, relaxation, and photography with breathtaking scenery at any time of day.
Always beautiful with some good fishing
BCOnTheFly — Google review
The first time I came to lake Llanquihue 40 years ago, it was end of summer and the volcano Osorno that is the icon of lake and surrounding towns, was covered in snow and glaciers almost to the bottom. Sadly this year there is almost no snow, only a small patch on the south side. The global warming is melting most of the mountain glaciers.

I was So impressed. Very beautiful area of Puerto Varas. Lake Llanquihue is the second largest lake in Chile... It's great for walks and relaxing and stunning scenario for photography. There's a view to the amazing Osorno Volcano too. I recommend going there for a day or two. You can visit the city of Frutillar in the same day, is close by and gorgeous too.

Amazing lake. It is peaceful, with breathtaking views. Its water temperature allows you to swim and the shallow depth, to be sure of children's safety. Sorrounded by two volcanoes, you can take incredible pictures at any time of day. Another important feature is that the northern road has many miles of cycle road.
