Large, scenic set of waterfalls surrounded by campgrounds & trails popular for horseback riding.
Great waterfalls to view once you walk down an easy trail lined with vendors selling arts & crafts, snacks, and the like. The walkway used to take you much closer to the falls, but (as of October 2023) the last part of the structure is still damaged from last year's rains. Hopefully, it'll reopen soon.

Worth to visit. Amount of water obviously variates during the year. You can also swim which is big plus and water is not so cold. Place is most likely crowded. Go on morning if you can.

Nice waterfall in southern Chile. We went in fall and there was a considerable amount of water still flowing. My guess is that summer would be the best time to see them as there would be lots more water. You can walk right up to the falls if you want but you have to be very careful as the rocks are slippery. There are local vendors all along the climb up to the falls where you can get some nice souvenirs and try local food.
Nelson A. Vidaurrazaga — Google review
Beautiful waterfall. Lots of mist from water splashing. Also check out the view of the fall from the top

Salto del Laja (salto = fall , Laja it's the river name) so it's a fall, not far from route 5, crowded, few restaurants and Bed and breakfast a lot of places to buy things that you don't need. The falls are magnificent, I loved this place and even wasn't my destination, I really enjoyed this stopover. Worth it. It's free and you can get closer to the falls as you want to.
Oscar Miquel — Google review
Depending on the season of the year and if the year was rainy or not you can see a beautiful waterfall or not, anyways, it' always payoffs to stop by, stay at the hotel Salto del laja or have lunch / dinner at their restaurant. At this very moment is magnificent

I don't give a 5 because there are no confessionals, they are always empty. The priests celebrate mass, take off their cassocks and leave the temple in their shirts very quickly. It is something that the bishop must change now!

The visit to the Botanical Garden University of Talca was a delightful experience. The garden boasts a rich variety of indigenous flora, creating a beautiful landscape. Its well-designed arrangement includes multiple ponds that attract various bird species as well as sheep and other fascinating wildlife. The open area provides ample space for recreation and is particularly suitable for families, offering an enjoyable and family-friendly environment. With its focus on preserving nature's beauty, this botanical garden is truly magnificent.

Very nice visit, a lot of native plants. Great layout with ponds and plenty of different birds, sheep and other wildlife to enjoy.
Popular hiking & horseback-riding destination with a campground & dramatic mountaintop views.
Hard to say what my favorite Parque is in Chile, but this is one of the contenders! Especially once you are above the treeline the flowers are so beautiful (this was halfway February), and the views are stunning.
The first 5 kilometer or so is a bit boring, and you have to walk it twice, but you can make a nice circle up in the mountains. Quite a long walk though!

Great walk ! We went there after a day of rain and the mountain around was full of snow. The drive is a bit muddy but space to park at the gate. Walk 6hrs (return) to the camping. It was free entree for the long weekend so great but other case 5000clp for foreigner ?! Common Conaf that very expensive you are not making an effort to attract people, it's over priced.

Very nice state park with great hikes.
We did the Enladrillado hike (took us 8 hours, but if your more trained than us 6 could be duable). The view was fantastic.
There is also a great camping where most of the hikes start.
Entrance to the camping by car is possible, but you really need a 4x4. Actually they only let you through if you have a 4x4.The road is verry rocky and bad.
We paid 5000 for the park and 3000 per day for the camping.
The camping itself is very nice with good facilities. At the time we stayed only the women showers had (sometimes) hot water.
The sites itself are very nice with power and a light (although at most sites there was no bulb in it). Each site has also there own water tab.
As we have a tent in our roof we needed a leveled spot. We only could find 2 or 3 good spots. If you only have a tent then no problem at all. Bigger campervans are out of the question (only the road allone is impossible).
Your are only allowed to cook with gas!
All in all a beautifull camping with nice hikes. Highly recommended!

This place made me cry from the views. It is a very well run park. The walk to the admin building is 2 km and uphill. It was easier for people with 4x4 vehicles.
The staff was very friendly and helped us pick the best walk for our 4 year old toddlers. They loved it.
The woods are diverse, the air fresh, and the mountains are energetic.
I loved my experience here.

We camped in the CONAF campground. Nice place to start birding from. The road from the entrance gate up to the campground is rough and rocky. Take your time. Showers are cold. Toilettes poorly designed. But staff very friendly. And the Nothofagus forest is magnificent. Good hikes begin at campground. So less of a walk than starting at the entrance gate down the hill. Bring toilette paper. And they insist you have cooking gas. No fires are allowed at campground even for cooking except on a gas stove. They found it hard to believe that our premade sandwiches would be enough.

Don't make a special detour to visit this park. It is beautiful but not worth 'a special effort'.

Beautiful place! They are still getting use with the new system of buying tickets online so it took some extra time to get it. People working there were kind and even lend their phone to us. The place in itself is of easy access (the road could be much better - but when you make to the park is good).
Carolina V — Google review
I find it quite hard to rate this place. It's quite beautiful as mentioned by the other reviews.
But it's best to buy your tickets in advance online as it's quite hard to do it in place and you cannot buy them there. Also, do not trust the information that is given on the site about the park, it stated that all trails were open but sadly most of them were closed because of floods and landslides. Okay these are extreme circumstances but sadly we wished they told us in advance. If you pass somewhere in the neighbourhood some other tourists, ask them what is going on atm!!
We were able to dip in the water (freezing) and see some nice views. Enjoyable in general!

Gorgeous national park with nice hiking trails. The roads are quite dusty and uneven - you could probably do it with a sedan, but a mid-sized SUV is preferable. Parque Ingles - is a big park near Siete Tazas (few kilometers). There are many good long trails and many amazing views. If you want to go to Laguna de las Animas, you will spend all day for this (17 kms one way). Sometimes this trail isn't easy to see, that's why better use GPS.

It is a nice place but notjing special. There are much nicer National Parks in Chile for less money. Additionally, ot is very hard to get info in advance on wjat are you paying and what walks are available. The hostel Termas del Cajon Grande is located in a beautiful setting, offering a scenic route to reach it. The pools are small but offer different temperatures for visitors to enjoy. (Translated by Google) The place is beautiful but the two women who serve are rude and we asked for food and it was full of hair 🤢 and when I told her she treated my son badly. The owner and her employee yelled at my parents, both of whom were 70 years old. Saying that we had put it in so as not to pay. The truth is, a disgusting group of bold, foul-mouthed people with no respect for anything. It's a waste of time that such a beautiful place is run by two dirty and uneducated people.

(Translated by Google) The hot springs are located in an idyllic place at the foot of the mountain and next to a cool river. You can go from cold to hot water in a few steps. That's already a 10!
Access cost Feb24, $2500 per person to spend the day.
The access has 11km of gravel in decent condition, any vehicle can enter, but there is a narrow stretch of ledge, not suitable for novices.
The camping is basic, I did not camp. It is very rustic and the bathrooms are a little far away. It has some simple changing rooms next to the pools.
The dining room offers some simple dishes.
Feb24, $6,000 for a plated Mila with salad and the same amount for a large pizza with salami. It has an area with chairs, tables and umbrellas for exclusive use.
Hot springs are small bathing areas, some quite hot and a couple more temperate.
They have also built a thermal water pool that is at the end of the camping area. The area is not finished but the pool can be used. The source of the water is about 100 meters from the campsite, where a natural pot was formed, with a muddy bottom and a lot of suspended material.
Note that to get there you have to go through Customs and Immigration in Las Loicas.
I thought it was a beautiful place and we spent a super relaxing day.

Valle Hermoso is a truly picturesque valley that offers various transportation options, including trucks and motorcycles. However, it is also accessible by car if driven slowly. The campsite provides accommodations in the form of domes or tents and offers amenities such as bathrooms. Additionally, meals including breakfast, lunch, and dinner are available for purchase. It's worth considering fuel availability as the nearest gas stations can be found around 100km away in Sosneado or Malargue.

The road to get there is gravel, is in good condition, and is less difficult than the Cuadrado road in Córdoba. LAS LEÑAS
Ski club
Outdoor Activities
Ski & Snowboard Areas
Lessons, rentals & on-mountain restaurants are offered at this scenic ski resort with hotel options.
A beautiful place for those who dream of skiing and enjoying snow activities.
Nadia Kostiuk — Google review
Las Leñas is well known for their après time vibes, a few challenging runs and the best off piste terrain in Argentina. And, of course, being the only true ski in / ski out resort down here.
And boy … do they know that and maker that.
As mentioned it’s THE place if you enjoy off piste… the actual runs are average, not that challenging leaving aside Marte zone where you can’t get some fun advanced terrain. They have a respectable beginners area for Argentina standards and adding they hotel / bars / restaurant offer right at the base, a place to be enjoyed by skiers of all levels.
It does gets terribly packed in the heavy season, not a lot of lifts makes that experience not that enjoyable so it would be wise to try to avoid July … but their snow in the last few years was scarce at best … so trip down when you have to!
Paulo Puglisi — Google review
Great tracks, and great snow most of the season. Off tracks are easy to find and also really fun. Views are excellent too. Problems are the snow by mid August, and the lifts are the slowest you'll ever encounter.

Don’t ever come to this place , all the facilities and hotels are all outdated and horribles dirty ! Everything’s stuck in the 80 ‘s , besides how racists are all the services members especially if you are an Asian avoid this place , spend your money somewhere else but not here! I mean not all the Argentinian they are so racists but the people that they can afford to come here , even the place is crabby but they think they are rich 😂and consider themself Europeans 😂 ! Soooo listen to my advise and don’t come at all 🤠👍

Perched in the amazing peaks of the Argentine Andes this is a small ski resort by European standards but the piste skiing is great as long as the Marte lift is open (maybe 50% of the time). The lifts are old and slow
Alex Campbell — Google review
I have my own disagreement on how to rate this.
As a “ski resort” I rate it below average (3 stars is average), comparing it to other major sky resorts of Argentina.
As a “Mountain to sky” I can extend to to 4 points, with many good runs and nice snow.
So let’s see why 2 stars:
1. poor poor poor poor infrastructure... been here 20 years ago, and it seems all the same. One day did spend an unreasonable time doing lines for the lifts (meaning that in all ski resorts you will do reasonable lines).
2. Ski rentals offer is poor, leading the companies to charge you whatever they want, since there is no competition.
3. Very small places to eat at the mountains , one better than the other, still not at the quality you expect for the money you pay
4. Not good airport communication, so you pay a lot of extra money if you do not have a package
5. Since is just that, a ski resort far away from cities, you have to just relax and be prepared to charge you expensive prices to eat or drink.
I’m sorry is not as good as its marketing
Makes it look like.
Milton Schneider — Google review
If you're used to northern hemisphere skiing, this isn't as good as say, Squaw Valley, California or Kitzbuhel, Austria.
Argentines seem to be more concerned about posing than skiing. But then these are the rich 5%.
However, if your here in July then it's pretty decent for South America. Not expensive either.

Furthermore, it is important to note that this establishment has been abandoned and does not offer any accommodations. (Translated by Google) It is a must-see in Malargüe, it has two times to attend the guided tour and the projections inside the pyramid. The locations are numbered so I recommend going early because the later numbers have a worse location and you could also run out of a place if a LOT of people go (the same, I arrived a few minutes after the start of that guide's shift and got a place). The projections are some very good, others decent, but what is very good are the explanations of whoever is speaking at that moment, very clear and interesting.
The first part, in which a guide accompanies the tour through the rest of the planetarium, is a bit poor because a single guide is in charge of all the stands, which makes the explanations of each one very superficial. It could be solved with a little more staff.
It is inexpensive, the visit costs $200 per person (adults), and the visiting hours are 4:00 p.m. and 8:30 p.m., each visit lasting 2 hours.
(Original)

Exploring Villa las Tinajas Archaeological Park with guides is an intriguing experience. Visitors can expect to discover a different side of history while venturing into the caves. It should be noted that navigating through the three sections of these caverns requires some effort, as one must frequently stoop and get dirty. Nonetheless, this adds to the amusement and excitement of the journey.

Bodega La Abeja is a historic winery established in 1883, offering guided tours and tastings. Visitors have praised the smaller, more private group tours that offer numerous complimentary wine tastings of about 5 or 6 different wines. The knowledgeable tour guides provide insights into the winemaking process, including grape harvesting and bottling. Guests appreciate the friendly and informative staff, with special mentions for guides like Sofi and Juan Pablo who enhance the experience with their expertise and humor.
We messaged on WhatsApp to schedule an appointment. The tour was enjoyable, and the wine tasting at the end was fantastic, with numerous samples. For $2000, it was an outstanding value, and we also received a full glass of house wine for only $200 while we waited for the tour to begin.

Nagaoka accepts criticism cheerfully, and uses criticism productively to develop own abilities and skills. When working to a firm but realistic deadline, Nagaoka always completes tasks to an adequate standard. Accuracy and neatness may suffer but the outcome is acceptable. Puts in some extra hours to meet the deadline. When dressed for the job, personal appearance and dress immediately impress. Distinctive, perhaps distinguished. Performs most jobs well and has the habit of checking work outcomes. Nagaoka is achieving excellence in some areas but in others is not yet achieving the highest standards.
A persuasive, engaging speaker when well-prepared, but uncomfortable and less effective when asked to speak off-the-cuff. Nagaoka enjoys working without supervision and usually continues to carry out duties effectively. Still needs to learn when it is appropriate to call for a supervisor’s advice or authority to act. Habitually asks questions in order to fully understand a position or a statement. Keeps asking until the facts are clear and the truth is understood. Can work in a team but often produces individual work at the end of a group activity. Not supportive or tolerant of others in the team.

The Museo Ferroviario, a remarkable museum dedicated to the history of trains and railways, is an outstanding attraction. It offers visitors a unique insight into the evolution of locomotives and their impact on society. The collection includes artifacts from different eras, showcasing the development of train technology over time. This fascinating exhibit comprises historical photographs, vintage clothing, intricate models and fully-restored trains that illustrate how early steam engines evolved into high-speed electric bullet trains we see today.
