The zoo São Carlos Ecological Park is a cost-free, expansive green area with dense vegetation. There are various food and toy vendors near the entrance. The park offers two entrances; one leads to a children's playground and picnic tables while the other provides access to geese, birds, snakes, and other mammals. Located just 5 km from the city center, this natural spot is easily accessible and suitable for visits both on weekdays and weekends. It even hosts evening activities.
Lovely place to visit in São Carlos. Free entry. We spent 2 hours wandering around enjoying the beautiful surroundings which are really well maintained. Very tranquil slice of nature on the outskirts of the city. The animals and birds were lovely to see but the enclosures for most of them were too small which is unfortunate and should be addressed. Great place to bring kids and they have just built a lovely new playground.
Odhran Allen — Google review
The site is free. It's a big park. The place is wooded, and at the beginning there are places selling food and toys. After the entrance, there are friendly bees that don't hurt, and two entrances. Straight, access to children's playground and picnic tables. To the right, we go towards the geese, birds, snakes, felines and mammals in general, giving greater access to the park. The location is very natural and not far from the city, about 5 km from the city center. It is good to be visited both at the weekend and during the week, and there are even scheduled activities at night. I recommend it for all ages, as it is a very good place for walks and fun, as well as informal meetings and even lunches. Highly recommend.
Gabriel Pott — Google review
My kids adore this place. It could benefit from investment, as there are empty displays and incomplete signage, but the location is beautifully wooded, the animals are interesting and exotic, and the kid's park is great. Worth every visit if your family is into this sort of place.

This was one of the best resorts we’ve ever been to. We have been to several others, but the food here is the best we’ve ever had. The service was also amazing and they were very attentive. The executive chef even came over to make sure we were happy with our meals. We were so grateful! The water park is recommended if you have small kids. The food is good but not great. Sometimes the meat was dry, dessert not so cold as some would require. The mattresses had deeps and bumps. Restricting some types of food to enter the water park was also a turn off.

Great experience. Room needs to fix a few things, remote TV not Woking, lights hanging and toilet loose but all in all was good. The park is crowded but it has enough space to get by with no problems. Clean and spacious...

(Translated by Google) We spent wonderful hours at the Guaspari winery. The place is beautiful, thought out in detail, both in relation to the landscaping and the decoration of the closed spaces. The care with the production facilities reveals the seriousness and concern with the quality of the wines that we could see in the tasting, very well conducted by the winemaker Pedro. Besides him, the other employees were all very attentive and friendly. These are not affordable wines - the cheapest ones cost around R$ 128 (November/2021). But considering that the quality brings them closer to good French and Italian wines and that part of the production depends on imported inputs, I think the cost-benefit ratio is adequate.
(Original)

Fonte dos Amores is a picturesque tourist attraction that features a serene waterfall and rocky pools, surrounded by stunning natural scenery. The site also boasts an impressive sculpture created by Italian artist Giulio Starace in 1929 depicting two young people embracing. This romantic spot has become increasingly popular for couples looking to capture special moments together. Additionally, the park surrounding the fountain is well-maintained and offers a pleasant retreat for visitors of all ages to enjoy.
Nice place to visit 😀

Sad to see the privatization of places that belonged to the city and its citizens. Most attractions at Poços de Caldas are now private and closed at this time. Yes, you heard me... the attractions are closed except for the christ. Once they open again all attractions will be charged... locations that were free for more than 100 years will now be charged.
Needless to say, the Fonte dos Amores was closed. What saved the day were the monkeys who were coming to the gate to greet us. However, because the attraction has been closed, the monkeys have been hungry and tourists have been feeding them all types of foods even M&Ms.. so sad.

This is a very nice city trail by which I mean, your only one block outside a residential neighborhood and into the mata. Once on the trail you're immediately in dense foliage and on a steep, stairs-like climb for the next 500m. The last 100m or so is on open mountain exposed to sun and a view of your target, Christo. My observations, the trail could be more meandering through the jungle to get to the top rather than straight up. And of course, Brazilian style, there's a road for cars to drive to the top so you arrive into a parking lot, cars and the usual trash and noise. Check out the paragliding view on the backside!

The monument offers sweeping vistas of the city and its surroundings, making it a popular tourist destination. However, due to its exposed location, visitors should be prepared for windy conditions when visiting. Beautiful, but very far and very expensive. We drove to Poço Azul from Poço Encantado. 1 ½ hours drive in a dirt road. We even crossed a bridge which is kind of "under cosntruction" (we paid 10 reais each way to collaborate to its maintenance). The entrance fee was 40 reais per person for a 1 ½ hours wait and a 15 minute swim in a small pond. That's all. You can go to the restaurant while you wait but quality is nothing better than reasonable: neither good or bad. Make sure you won't try the ice cream. Overall, this is such a waste of time and money. The menu features a variety of traditional French dishes, as well as some international favourites. There is also an extensive wine list available, as well as a selection of cocktails. The atmosphere is lively and congenial, with staff who are happy to help guests find their way around.
This is a little Gem of Ilhéus 💎
Highly recommended, food delicious ❗
Restaurant inspired by true events in historical building. Theme based on author Jorge Amado books. Menu very Gourmet, has several options. We had prime Beef stake, heaven in mouth, check out for yourself ❗
Can't go wrong with this place. Take a look at the photos...

Historic place with nice environment. Well preserved and private. I liked the old photos on the walls and the cabaré corner. Menu seems fair with some good options to pick from. A landmark in Ilhéus. Totally recommended.

Decided to have lunch here on a bank holiday. Ordered the filet mignon that is in the menu picture (you can find mine here attached) and carne do sol with rice and cassava puree (awful). Filet mignon a little over cooked than I asked. Loved the premium drinks though!

It's an old and historical brothel, which was very famous during the 20's. The place was later set on fire, and was completely restored. Today it is a memorial place that tells the history of the city. It is possible to see some cabarét shows, and have a guided visit to the most famous mistress of the time. It is really worth visiting.

Menu very similar to 3 other restaurants Vesùvio.

My wife and I couldn’t have chosen a better place to celebrate our anniversary. We can’t put into words the quality of both the food and the service Bataclan delivered tonight. I ordered the filet mignon with penne with gorgonzola sauce and my wife had the sea food pasta, our entrees were excellent and perfectly cooked. My wife had a delicious Argentinean Malbec and I had the coldest tap beer you can possibly imagine. The historical site and live violinist adds even more reasons to visit this place. One of greatest experiences Ilheus has to offer.

Pleasant folksy place with surprisingly good food, quantity & quality-wise. A definite must-see.

San Sebastian Cathedral, inaugurated in 1967 after 36 years of construction, is a stunning example of neoclassical architecture in Ilheus, Bahia. Standing at approximately 47 meters tall, this cathedral is one of the city's main landmarks. Despite its grand exterior, the interior is described as discreet. Visitors can explore this colonial-style church and appreciate its beauty and tranquility.
A special peace place to be grateful for everything!

Es muy bonita... impactante desde dentro.
Considero que la están dejando venir abajo siendo q es la más antigua de Brasil. No tiene ningún tipo de texto para leer o conocer su historia tan rica.

Located 15 km away from the central region, Itacarezinho Beach is the farthest of the Four Beaches Trail and renowned as one of the best beaches in Itacare. Its typical northeastern beach view features a shoreline surrounded by palm trees, long stretches of sand and an irresistible sea for swimming. Visitors can enjoy a more secluded atmosphere or engage in activities such as surfing, diving and hiking.
This spot is as close to heaven as you can get here on earth. Be sure to stop at the Mirante on the way down for a beautiful photo. If you have the money, you can rent a gorgeous cabana, but be prepared to open up your wallet. It’s about $300R per person. $250R comes back in food and drinks. The second option is $300R total for chairs, an umbrella, pizza and a few beers. My best recommendation is solid footwear for the walk (10 mins downhill and 15 mins uphill), carry your Havianas, and bring water, snacks, and towels. You can also hike to another nearby beach on a trail should you choose. Last great perk, you can rinse off in a fresh water waterfall coming from the nearby river. Totally worth the trek.

A great tourist attraction not more than an hour from the city of Ilhéus, offering great, though not cheap, food and drinks. The beach itself is splendid. Not a piece of rubbish to be seen.

One of the best beaches in Itacaré. You can either leave your car at the entrance and walk down to the beach or park inside the property at a cost. Itacarezinho isn't usually crowded. In case you don't have a beach chair or a parasol, you can rent them from the only kiosk you'll find on the premises. There is also a minimum spending requirement restaurant.
Helsingberg Arcanjo — Google review
This was our favorite beach in the area. Not to crowded, easy access, you can swim, enjoy not to strong waves, get some snorkeling, walk along...
Despite the rough sea, a visit to Praia de Jeribucaçu is essential as the landscape composed of fine sand and typical coconut vegetation is stunning. This beach is also popular among surfers and boasts a natural freshwater river with the same name. The river forms small natural pools perfect for refreshing dips. The scenery at Jeribucaçu is among the most beautiful in Itacare, surrounded by virgin forest and adorned with rocks that add charm to the landscape.
One of the most wonderful beaches in Itacaré! There's a parking lot to the cars and you have to walk on a trial for approximately 20 minutes.
It worth a lot!

Beautiful beach, you need to do a 20 minutes trailto get in,and it's better to be done with a nice weather. The GPS sometimes point to a wrong direction. You need to follow the signs and turn left right after the roundabout when you come from Itacaré.

It's decent if we do the trek through the mangrove and passing by the Usina waterfall to get there. However, I prefer Prainha, as it is more secluded.

Prainha is a popular beach known for its clear waters, hiking trails, and surfing waves. It is located near Ribeira Beach and can be reached by a 45-minute walk through the forest. The trail to Prainha is not well signposted, so it's recommended to go with a guide or use a trail app. Alternatively, visitors can access Prainha from inside the Villa de Sao Jose Condominium.
Stunning views!! It takes just under an hour to reach on foot from Itacare - the guides remove the signs so be careful not to get lost but we met plenty of people who pointed us in the right direction

(Translated by Google) In my opinion, it is the best and coziest beach in the region, despite the very steep trail, the view is breathtaking, we sat under the coconut trees and were in the natural pool provided by the sea.

Concha Beach is a popular seaside destination in Itacare, offering bustling sandy shores and picturesque vistas for surfers and paddleboarders. The beach features numerous rustic eateries and kiosks along the waterfront, making it an ideal place for families to enjoy the calm waters of the sea. Located at the mouth of Rio de Contas, Concha Beach boasts perfect water conditions for swimming. Cool just to see the beach on the other side, the town and maybe a sunset. But as a beach, it's much better to go to resende, tiririca and ribeira. The sand here has a dirty-looking aspect and the beach feels crowded really fast. Not much space.
V. Lucas — Google review
It's the perfect beach for you if you want to swim. There is a lot of bars for you to sit and ask food or a drink but there is also space on the sand if you want to have a nice and tight tan.

(Translated by Google) From an infrastructure point of view, it is an extremely useful and important essential service for the transport and integration of the Capital and the highways that arrive from the South, Southeast and Center-West of Brazil. Ferry Boats deserve better attention from public authorities, as well as the services provided. Boats that were once extremely modern, today need minimal repairs and care. It is worth mentioning that other states in Brazil do not have boats with this quality and construction, so maintenance would be enough to improve service conditions. Pedestrians and all types of vehicles board practically without restrictions.

(Translated by Google) Terminal without good signage. When you arrive at the entrance you almost don't know that it is a terminal, as what is above is a huge advertisement that looks more like the entrance to a company than the entrance to the terminal. The service was disorganized and it wasn't full, I can only imagine on weekends and holidays. Filthy bathroom, dirtier than an old gas station on the side of the road. Truly absurd for the price they charge! How can the Government of Bahia not monitor the service of this concession. The rules of the contract are certainly being violated by the concessionaire Internacional Travessias. It is clear that privatization does not improve the service if there is no supervision and monitoring of the contract by the assignee!!!
