Awesome place. Recently, the sulphur mine was closed for keeping this place in good conditions for more time. The local guides from the Purace tribu offer the tour guide for 40000 COP without intermediaries. This place can be reached walking from the basement located in 4200 meters over the sea level. The top is hours long walking from the basement. The crater is in 4599 meters over the sea level. The top has an amazing view. This place is really recommended.

Nice, but the community controlling it in May 2018 didn't want to provide us a guide for going up (after 2h hitchhiking to get to the entrance). We then went by ourselves and got "arrested" on the way back. They didn't let us leave until we paid a "fine". As of today, I still don't know if it was a robbery, since the Tourism Office in Popayán told us that entrance to the site was free for everyone.

(Translated by Google) Puracé means Fire Mountain in the Quechua language and reaching its summit has become a challenge for many, a challenge that puts us in connection with nature through its dream landscapes between lagoons, mountains, frailejones and waterfalls.
To ascend to the peaks you must wear the appropriate equipment: a jacket made of waterproof material that allows breathability and thermal insulation, balaclava, gloves, waterproof pants, gaiters and high mountain boots.
You can also visit the lower part of the Volcano, where we find the Frailejones Valley, the San Juan hot springs and, if we are lucky, spot the Andean condor.

Puente del Humilladero, also known as the Bridge of the Humbles, is a significant landmark in Popayan, Colombia. This 240m-long brick bridge was built in the 19th century and stands as an iconic symbol at the former entrance to the city. Adjacent to it is Puente de la Custodia, a smaller bridge dating back to 1713. Despite being damaged by an earthquake in the 1980s, its historical charm remains intact.

Via Cristo Rey is a significant monument in Cali, Colombia, commemorating the end of a tragic war. The statue, resembling Rio's Christ the Redeemer, stands atop Cerro las Cristales and offers panoramic views of the city. Designed by Italian artist Alideo Tazzioli, it can be seen from all four cardinal points of Cali and annually attracts around 300,000 visitors. The hill leading to the statue features captivating sculptures by artist Carlos Andres Gomez.
The Zoológico de Cali is an environmental zoo that houses both local and international species, including lions, bears, zebras, otters, chiguiros (capybaras), oso hormigueros (anteaters), monkeys and a mariposario (butterfly exhibit). It's a well-designed zoo with beautiful landscaping and interesting animal exhibitions. The shelters are maintained in good condition and the animals appear to be well cared for.
Better than you would expect for a zoo in Cali. It's very well situated on the river, with a good layout, beautiful landscaping, and lots of interesting animal exhibitions. The shelters seem well maintained and the animals seem well taken care of. I went on a Saturday morning and it wasn't crowded at all.

Went during a weekday and it was amazing. Little to no one around. Has a restaurant but the food was not great. Great place for walking and enjoying nature. Pretty good collection of animals in different habitats. Be prepared to walk. Would definitely go again. Tons of things to photograph. Plants and animals and scenery.

Super cool place to visit. Very clean and organized. Didnt find much in varierty of food but then again its a ZOO we are there for the animals. A must do in Cali.
Meli G — Google review
We had a pleasant time at the Zoológico De Cali on our anniversary. We enjoyed walking around and seeing all the different types of animals. We learned so much not only about animals but also about the different habitats, the region and a bit of history. We were very happy to see that all the animals were well kept and seemed to be clean and well maintained. What I liked most is that some of the animals get really close to you. This a great place for people of all ages.
Ulder Perez Jr — Google review
The biggest zoo in Cali. It costs $26,000 pesos per person but I’d say it’s worth it. They have every animal in the world it seems like.
I’ve never seen such tiny monkeys! There’s also a nice river that flows straight through the middle of the zoo.
Robert Bryant — Google review
Nice zoo. Many beautiful animals but then you start feeling sad for them as they are being held captive.
However the zoo does not stink like most zoos. Is actually laid out very well.
I really enjoyed the butterfly garden and also watching the process of callipillars turn into butterflies

Zoo was nice, but my 3 year old son is traumatized by the horrific things we saw. A beautiful white bird landed on the monkey cage! While we watched the bird all the monkeys started attacking and eating it. (see photos)
Tigers were cool though

Nice Zoo with a focus on sustainability, environment and well being of the animals. It is quite educating and I would recommend visiting if you are in the area.
It's also a short walk away from San Antonio which I also would recommend visit.
Phillip Hansen — Google review
Although I have my reservations towards zoos, this one does a great job at providing animals with the right accomodations. They seem well taken care of.
The route is very easy to follow, there's plenty of parking, there are some food options, and on weekdays it's way easier to go around.
To make the tour more interesting, make sure you listen to the Spotify content they have available just by scanning the QR codes around the zoo.

As an extreme animal
Lover I decided to go to the zoo . I’ve been on safaris in Africa and feel bad about caged animals . Many of the animals in the zoo are rescued and very well taken care of. This small but amazing zoo was a great stroll for the afternoon.
David Russell — Google review
This is a very engaging zoo with a lot of very cool animals in inventive exhibits that mirror their natural environment. I saw several animals closer than I could ever see them in the wild. Some of the exhibits were very small so I wonder if certain animals have enough space to be happy but the presentation is up there with the top zoos in the world. If you have a couple hours in Cali I think the Zoo would be one of the best uses of your time.
Jaxon Travis — Google review
We loved our visit to the Cali Zoo, it was set in such a lovely environment. The animals were beautiful and healthy and we were able to enjoy a calm walk through the different enclosures. We were alongside a family and enjoyed the children’s delight at all the different animals.

Fantastic, larger than expected metropolitan zoo in the heart of Cali. A lovely setting for a great variety of exotic animals and a very fun 2 and a bit hours day out for my daughter, wife and I. Look out for the iguanas because they're everywhere!! Thoroughly recommended
Jairo A Jaramillo — Google review
We only had about 2 hours to visit this zoo which turned out to be a perfect amount of time for this zoo. We just followed the path around and we're able to see all of the animals. Would visit again.
Alfonso Gonzalez — Google review
We visited the Zoo with a tourist from Europe who enjoyed the open air exhibits very much. The aquarium was good as was the enclosed butterfly exhibit. A nice way to spend 2 or 3 hours if it's not raining or too hot.
Larry Michael Lynch — Google review
The zoo is very nice and very well maintained. They have a lot of animals, and almost all were on display for pictures.
That being said, that's one of the reasons I knocked off a star. I've been to other zoos in the US and Australia, and by comparison this one doesn't allow much room for the animals in their habitats. The habitats are small, which is why it's easy to spot and photograph the animals.
We made a day of it, and enjoyed being outdoors and looking at everything. The animals seem to be well cared for and in good condition, as do the grounds. I was surprised to see the iguana's hanging out with all the other animals...They just go where they want and hang out with whichever animals they feel like. It was pretty cool.
We went on a Saturday afternoon in February and there weren't big crowds.
There's an expansion in the works that will include a Komodo Dragon.
Definitely a good value if you're in Cali and looking for something to do with your family, or on a date.

The church of San Antonio is a colonial-era building with simple brick and whitewashed facade. It is well-known for its baroque altar, considered a symbol of the cultural identity of the city. The neighborhood around the church is one of the most traditional in San Antonio, complete with old colonial houses and trendy shops and restaurants.
Beautiful quaint little church in Parque San Antonio on top of the hill with views of the valley.

Nestled amidst the vibrant streets of Cali, Colombia, the Iglesia de San Antonio stands as a beacon of tranquility and spiritual solace. This sacred sanctuary offers respite from the city's hustle and bustle, inviting visitors to immerse themselves in its serene ambiance.
The architecture of Iglesia de San Antonio is a breathtaking fusion of colonial charm and timeless elegance. Its whitewashed façade and ornate details evoke a sense of reverence, drawing you in from the moment you set eyes upon it. Step inside, and you'll be greeted by a haven of peace, where the soft glow of candlelight illuminates centuries of devotion and faith.
But it's not just the physical beauty of this church that captivates; it's the profound sense of spirituality that permeates every corner. Whether you're here to offer a prayer or simply to admire the intricate artwork adorning the walls, you'll find yourself enveloped in a sense of reverence and awe.
For anyone visiting Cali, a trip to Iglesia de San Antonio is a must. Allow yourself to be transported by its beauty and serenity, and you'll leave feeling renewed and inspired by the power of faith and devotion.

My wife who is a Colombian took me to visit the church. So I have an advantage!!! It's a meeting place where people of Cali go hangout. Vendors, food, etc line the perimeter of the church grounds. And the area is safe with security and police officers. So if you're ever in Cali, Colombia have fun!

Great historic chapel on the top of a hill and sorrounded by a great park that's perfect for relaxing and bird watching. It feels like an oasis in the city. There are a lot of small shops and restaurants surrounding the park so it's perfect for a midday or early evening excursion. There is also a lot of security in the area as well as vendors selling snacks and trinkets. Definitely recommend if you are visiting the historical area.

Once again I had a really nice experience at the church. The priest performed a nice baptism for a family member. The view is magnificent and the historic little old church is both quaint and beautiful. My favorite church in all of Colombia.
At Christmas there is a little Christmas market outside.

Was not open for us to enter and visit the inside, however the view of Cali from here is wonderful. Both visits were in the evening when it was already dark out. There are some great street vendors in this area and one set up just at the top of the steps leading up from the park who makes some of the best bracelets, necklaces, etc… I have found yet. He was able to make a custom piece for me that I was able to pick up the next afternoon and couldn’t be happier.

This beautiful 3-ton bronze sculpture of a cat by Colombian artist Hernando Tejada is located near the Cali River on 4th Avenue and 1st West Street in Cali, Colombia. The artwork was inaugurated in 1996 and has since been restored with the intention of reopening it to the public as part of a project called "Las Novias del Gato" (The Girlfriends of the Cat).
This amazing park is located on the Cali River … walking distance from many hotels in the area. Best time to come is before 9 AM as the weather is still relatively cool and you will avoid rush when some schools send their students to explore … all signs are in Spanish though 🥲 … but I love seeing the art. Bravo Cali

A really wonderful place to spend your day with the nature and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. It's one of the best places you can visit being a nature lover. Lots of stages to walk across and explore. The butterfly collection here is wonderful. And coming to the best part, the food here is the most delicious thing you can ever have, the perfection with which they cook the fish and its really the best part.

The food is good but really expensive. The hike is good but terrain is always muddy. so, it's a hard walk and the final view is beautiful. But there needs to be a safer and easier way to get down. After the trek up... Perhaps esculators like in Medellin.

This is such a nice place to spend the day. The hiking trails are clear and well maintained, you're ascending at all times but it's very doable. If at any time you feel fatigue you easily find return points.

After ordering you can go for a walk around the beautiful estate which contains many historical elements of the place. The walk ends on top of a hill where you will be bown away of the breath taking view. After the walk we returned to our lovely restaurant and had an amazing dish of fish.

The Museum Sugarcane is a stunning location with breathtaking landscapes, displaying the region's colonial history related to sugarcane processing. To explore the artifacts and learn about its rich history, it's recommended to take a guided tour as there are no descriptions available. The hacienda features beautiful gardens and flowers while showcasing different cultural methods of processing sugarcane throughout time. Although there isn't any restaurant available on the premises, visitors can purchase snacks at a small store.
This is a beautiful place with amazing landscapes. If you want to learn about the history of the sugar cane and all the artifacts found in the place, it’s recommended to go with a tour guide as there is no description. There is no restaurant on the premises but there is a small store where you can buy snacks. It’s a must see if you like nature and the related colonial history of the region.

The best from the walk around the museum was the variety of trees, plants and flowers. As per the sugarcane treatment or sugar making process not so much information or equipment to see.

An amazing and beautiful hacienda. Showcasing the different cultural ways to process the sugarcane. A beautiful natural set up. Flowers and gardens are unique.
J. Alejandro Martinez U. (ALMA) — Google review
A historical sugar plantation house with amazing gardens and examples of sugar processing tools / methods from all over Colombia. Minus 1 star due to difficulty to travel to from Cali, the final road was poor and there is limited signage and none of the tour or guides was in english. These problems are evident because on the Saturday when we visited there were only about 10 other visitors at the peak midday time. It wouldn't take much work to make this a world class museum and tourist attraction, I really hope they try because it has so much potential.

Great place to learn about sugarcane process. The museum is beautiful and surrounded by lots of trees, flowers, brooks and ponds. It also has a traditional house where you can see how people used to live a while ago.

Beautiful scenery. The lake is home to wind sports like kite surfing and wind surfing. It doesn't get crowded much so there's plenty of room to foam around in your favorite water craft. The weather is often cloudy and a bit in the cooler side with the head wind, but overall, it's a great spot for water sports and scenery.

World class museum. Building designed by artist and is a work of renown art by itself. The grounds are serene and the sculptures inspiring. As good an experience as you could wish. The quaint town is representative Colombian and the trip there is intriguing from any direction.

We had a great time at San Alberto. We learned a lot about coffee and all the different ways of preparing it. The view was beautiful and service was excellent. I highly recommend the coffee experience.

I first looked up and went to the place identified as Finca Cafe San Alberto on google which has many photos from this place but is in a completely different location. After an hour of wasted time I found the real location.
Coffee tasted very good but is over priced.

One of the places that you have to visit in the coffee region of Colombia if you want to taste the coffee that won the most of the prices over Colombia.
This cafe represents perfectly what is a perfect cup of coffee in many different types of ways. Enjoy it strong or soft, or cold or hot or in many other popular ways.
Also San Alberto offers you the possibility to see the coffee process since the picking of the red beans to the drying, roasting and grilling of this coffee of this same farm for the end have a experience with some of the best "catadores" to teach you how to distinguish a perfect cup of coffee.

An incredible place to try a delicious coffee, with a spectacular view. You are enjoying a delicious coffee in the middle of the coffee plantations. The pastry is not of the best quality. Better to just try the coffee.

Scenic coffee plantation featuring a cultural tour, a cupping experience & a traditional eatery.
A great deal of fun. You are taught a lot about the whole coffee process as well as the different kinds of coffee for local and export. There is a tour that brings you through from start to finish with samples along the way. Even a bit of dancing and uncontrollable laughter. Definitely must go and experience.

Our family loved Recuca! Lucho was the best guide and was very engaging! We were with my elderly grandmother with mobility issue and she was given a wheelchair and Lucho pushed her around the entire park! Lucho was funny, informative, and very personable. He answered all our questions and was knowledgeable about a lot. We enjoyed learning all about the coffee process and local culture. We purchased the lunch as well and enjoyed it! Highly recommended to visit Recuca!
Camila Restrepo Chavez — Google review
We did a day tour in the coffee plantation. Understand the whole process of the coffee beans. Walked around and had lunch there. A good way to explore the plantation. Must visit if you come to Columbia.
Wendy Tan — Google review
The tour was great! Andrés G was Great! The Place was Great! Everything was great! Up to today we had only to pay 45.000 COP each plus 45.000 COP to have the tour in English and private which I think it’s a good deal. The tour lasted 2 hours 30 because we were only two people. We went with a renting car by ourselves without a problem. The only thing I would advise the owners is to add the info about the bilingual tour on the website, I was close not to go because of that reason. Glad it worked out and we were surprised.
D O — Google review
Recuca is a nice place, you will learn about the coffee making process. The guides will joke a lot, sadly you have to be local to get all the experience with them even if you know Spanish all the slangs are hard to catch, they have bilingual speakers but is just not the same. Humor is difficult to translate

My visit to Recuca was time well spent – a 2 1/2-hour journey that's worth every minute. Immersing myself in the world of Colombian coffee while having a blast is simply invaluable. This is truly an outstanding coffee adventure; the tour delves deep into the process, offering a wealth of knowledge. Our guide JJ Forero (very fluent in mierdinglish as he said) was superb, adding an extra layer of excellence to the experience.

We had a great time here. The tour (in English) was very good. Everything was explained in great detail and you could also take part yourself, for example picking coffee beans. Everything was very informative and interesting and the area is simply beautiful.
We had also booked lunch. I personally wasn't a fan of it, but others in the group really enjoyed it.

This is a must. Relaxed, spacious, friendly place to learn about coffee. The typical architecture of the region (remember "Encanto"). Nice and funny guides, be prepared to be targeted by them and take part on hilarious moments.
Julio Riquelme — Google review
Very cute experience! The guide was very humorous and the entire 3 hours was full of learning and culture. I thought the coffee experience was a bit more hands on, like we could grind coffee but it was still good. We were able to pick coffee beans, taste the coffee and our favorite was being able to dress with typical clothes, dance and take pictures. Recommended even with young children!

Awesome place. One of my favorite places I have visited. I love coffee and this place taught me things about coffee never know. The place is very fun, and it is educational.
Gary Lane — Google review
It's a very interesting place if you want to learn everything about coffee culture and how it's grown from scratch. The place is decorated like a traditional and folk coffee growing farm. The employees are dressed like that too. They offer a lot of extra services besides the tour, which costs 10 dollars. It took 3 hours to finish it so go prepared to spend so much. I advise you to go get the morning tours since there are less people. The tour guides are so nice and funny. The only con is that they don't talk in English so you'll need a translator.
Coffee theme park with eateries & attractions, including rides, shows & educational exhibits.
Very fun day trip for family and friends. Rides of different intensities for people who might be scared and for daredevils. VERY affordable food and drinks. Go early!! If you arrive at the opening time it’s perfect, you can spend the day exploring

Perfect for all ages. Be ready for long walks and waiting in the line for the attractions, most of them are worth the wait, Many places to eat, my election wasn't the best I hope yours will be better.
Don't forget extra clothes! I also liked all the cute stores across the street, lots of beautiful souvenirs to buy.
Inside the park there are a few souvenir stores, too.

Family friendly with child-size versions of the rides. This park is a functional coffee plantation and museum; outlining the historical economic significance of coffee production .
Be prepared:
- lots of walking
- bring a swimsuit and a change of clothes unless you want to skip the water rides.
- bring sunscreen or an umbrella
- they have an indoor theater with live dance performances
- bring a relaxed attitude and enjoy with your family
We spent 5 hours exploring the park, having lunch at a couple of the cafes, and all to a beautiful mountain backdrop.

SO much to do! Be prepared to spend the entire day here. Parking can get a bit weird, there is only ONE official parking lot. Note that most of the places at the park only take cash (efectivo.) Be prepared to walk a lot, drink some delicious coffee, and eat wholesome food. The kid rides are a ton of fun for the little ones, and the Rollercoaster they have are a ton of fun!

This is a great full day activity for the family. Nice rides, good food and snacks, and beautiful places for pictures. Make sure you do not miss the show around 3 pm. The place is super clean and very well kept. Lines are not long, especially for thrill rides.

Huge attractions park situated in the beautiful coffee producing province of Quindio, lots of stuff to do and see and a beautiful show with dance and music suitable for all. Prepare for long walks as you move from one place to the other as the place is big. You can use the cableway or the train within to save your feet a bit. The place is gorgeous and one day is not enough to see it all.
Jaime Buitrago — Google review
It was a wonderful and unexpected experience - it a must if you’re in the area, and you need to be ready to spend a full day here as the queues are long. Plenty of walking as well, bring sunblock and hats.
The only thing I disliked about the place is that even though it’s a coffee-themed park there are not good coffee shops here. Only Juan Valdez which you can try anywhere in Colombia. I was somehow expecting more artisan coffee shops preparing coffee using different methods or at least good coffee around.
Ivan J — Google review
I went during a public holiday and the place was packed. I heard from locals that it is better to visit during the middle of the week when there are less people. In all, it was a beautiful place, with great views. There are many rides and food all around.

This was my 1st visit to Parque del Café and it was awesome. Make sure you bring clothes and shoes that can get wet for a few rides. You can not ride with hats and or personal hand / backpack. They do have free lockers you can you to store things. They serve a great breakfast and also really good food. The lines were not that long I definitely recommend getting there by 8:30am there is a shuttle that takes you to the park so make sure you get a seat. Also you can ride on horses with the whole family but that is the only ride you will have to pay extra for. But it's not much at all. Great trip we will be back again soon!!

Title: "Disappointing Experience at Panaca - 2 Stars"
Review:
I recently visited Panaca, an amusement farm in Colombia, and unfortunately, I was left quite underwhelmed, leading me to rate it 2 stars on Google. My expectations for an engaging and entertaining experience were not met.
The farm, which consists of 5 or 6 areas dedicated to farm animals, lacked the amusement factor I was anticipating. While there are animals present, the interaction is minimal - they're mostly there for viewing, which diminishes the overall experience. This aspect made it feel more like a simple walk in a field with animal displays rather than an engaging farm experience.
Additionally, the infrastructure of Panaca didn't live up to expectations. The signage around the farm was not particularly helpful, which made navigation more challenging than it needed to be. Moreover, the requirement to walk everywhere without engaging activities along the way contributed to a rather monotonous visit.
Price-wise, I felt the admission cost was not justified. Considering the limited attractions and activities, the experience did not match the price paid. I couldn't help but think that a visit to a local farm, perhaps even for a smaller fee, would have offered a more authentic and enjoyable experience.
In conclusion, Panaca didn't deliver the amusing farm experience I was hoping for. If you're looking for an interactive and engaging farm visit, you might want to consider other options.

Fascinating tour of the reserve with Carlos who has been leading the conservation effort here. He speaks perfect English and imparted a huge amount of specialist knowledge to us about the phenomenon of the cloud forest, plant and fungus behaviour in tropical environments, permaculture, and following your dreams. I hope Carlos and William’s efforts are supported as they deserve, and that their project at Kasaguadua thrives. Thank you for a fascinating tour, Carlos!

The review is for the jungle tour. We did this tour yesterday and we learned a lot about the cloud forest and its eco system. César was a great guide, both knowledgeable and funny. It is a special place and you feel that the people who built the lodge and take care of the environment are very passionate.
The tour starts every day at 10am in English but must be requested at least 1 day in advance as it only takes place if there are enough people. It is 30min walking to reach the entry gate (or take a Willy from the town centre).

We didn't stay at Kasaguadua (unfortunately) but we did the forest tour with Carlos, a truly inspiring and enjoyable experience where we had the chance to learn more about the cloud forest ecosystem. Carlos is a great guide, very knowledgeable and with a contagious passion for nature and sustainability. Definitely recommend the tour, and would love to check out the accommodation too if I'm ever again in the area (we did get to visit the lodge with the tour, seemed wonderful).

This review is about the walking tour - which was really fantastic. We were a large group of around 15. The guide (Balder) was very passionate and interesting. We walked from Salento town for about 45 minutes. About an hour in you get to the lodge accommodation, where you can use the toilets (as long as you are not taking antibiotics due to their water purification system). It is a fabulous place! Please bring insect repellent! We were lucky and saw some interesting birds, including an owl. After the tour we then went for lunch at a cafe about ten minutes up the road, recommended by the guide.

I would recommend Kasaguadua Reserve to everyone. Unique eco-pods surrounded by cloud forest, waking up to the birds, and feeling at home with the comforts of wifi, hammocks and hot showers! Willy and Sara were amazing, and really added to the stay here in the cloud forest (they were especially kind when we forgot our coats). Both extremely welcoming, kind, and hilarious! Kasaguadua and the team were a highlight to our trip to Colombia - do not miss out on this opportunity. Muchas Gracias Willy & Sara! Henry & Emma

Outstanding tour hosted by Carlos. He is so passionate and informative. We learnt so much about the cloud forests here in Colombia it really put things into perspective. The accommodation looks incredible we will definitely book next time we are in Salento. I can't recommend this tour enough.

Carlos’ passion and knowledge made this tour a must to understand everything about Colombia through the unique ecosystem here. It’s a real eyeopener for me and I have learnt so much in the 2 hours and 15 minutes. Thanks for preserving nature for all of us. The tour is must do when in Salento. Such an inspiration.

Highly inspiring location. Very much recommend visiting for staying at one of the pods, or visiting for a tour
Valle del Cocora is a picturesque national park that boasts of scenic views, towering wax palms that measure over 60 meters tall, and lush greenery. To explore the park, one can embark on a six-hour hike through a valley, cloud forest, and winding road for stunning panoramas. Additionally, visitors can tour coffee farms in the area and sample quality coffee while taking in the beautiful landscape.
A beautiful place with incredible views. If you take the long hike up into the mountain, be sure to give yourself a lot of time. It is 4 hours up and 4 hours back. Worth it if you have time. If you are just looking for something shorter you can access the valley fairly easily and the scenery doesn't disappoint. A short distance from Salento and a definite must see if in the area.

Beautiful trail! We started from the rain forest part, went to the peak, then continued through the walking path. Very recommended, much more quiet in this side. We saw a waterfall and walked across some bridges & rivers.
You have to pay 2 times, COP 5k & 10k (they just increased the fee). Additional 15k if you want to visit the hummingbird reservation.

A really beautiful mountain range and valley suitable for short and long hikes. You can interact with the horses on the field. Make sure to bring water because you won’t find any vendor for a good while.
Paid parking. No public restrooms. No drone flying. Short trail takes about 2 hours and long trails are indefinitely long. Good free and paid decor near the entrance for photo shoots.

Amazing trekking with stunning views.
You can take one of the jeeps from Salento and is a trek for everyone (easy), you can just visit the first part where you find the famous palm trees, do the normal trekking or we did a route of 15km coming back from behind the mountain. (If you enter from behind you won't need to pay the acces fee)
Free toilets
Restaurant
Some places at the beginning to take some photos.

One of the most beautiful hikes we’ve ever done. The pictures don’t do this place justice. It is just stunning. We took a regular taxi from Armenia, the roads were totally fine and a Jeep Willy is not necessary but could be a fun experience. No shortage of photo opportunities.

Visited in January and went early enough in the day to beat the late morning storms. Such a beautiful place, with plenty of backdrops to take pictures and even options to horseback ride before/after hiking. Definitely a must stop when in the Salento area!

I see cocora valley too crowded. Transport and traditional coffee with panela is cheap. However , other things are expensive. Service is above normal. It is incredible to pay 20000 cop to enter to do trekking. 80000 to have a guide and 600000 for a guide with food. I think this place is not worth the money. Salento also is too expensive and crowded and you feel uncomfortable. Please do not visit this place on holy days or vacations, it will be too dense for people.

Absolutely stunning place to visit. I would recommend starting your visit from outside the 'park' which is a path about half a mile down the road. This allows you to go through the really fun Bridges etc and then do the wax palms at the end. A note for people traveling here is that the lone trees are not the way wax palms are supposed to grow, from the ecological tours we took, will likely not be there in 1-2 generations, so the particular views you are getting are as one person called ' a beautiful ecological disaster'. There are many who are working to restore the wax palms and allow the jungle to grow as it's supposed to so that they can thrive in a normal environment.

Valle de Cocora, nestled in the heart of Colombia's Coffee Triangle, is renowned for its enchanting landscapes and towering wax palm trees, which are the tallest palm species in the world. This verdant valley, located within the Cocora Valley Natural Park near the town of Salento, offers visitors a picturesque setting for hiking, birdwatching, and exploring the rich biodiversity of the region.
The valley is blanketed with lush greenery, with the majestic wax palms rising high into the sky, creating a surreal and awe-inspiring atmosphere. Visitors can embark on scenic hikes through the valley, traversing trails that wind through cloud forests, past rushing rivers, and alongside fields of vibrant flora.
One of the most popular hiking routes leads to Acaime, a rustic hummingbird sanctuary nestled amid the misty mountains. Here, travelers can relax and admire the dazzling array of hummingbirds that flit about the feeders while savoring a cup of freshly brewed Colombian coffee.
Another highlight of Valle de Cocora is the challenging hike to the summit of Cerro de la Cruz, offering panoramic views of the valley below and the surrounding Andean peaks. Adventurous souls can also opt for horseback riding excursions to explore the valley at a leisurely pace.Beyond its natural beauty, Valle de Cocora is steeped in local culture and tradition. Visitors can learn about the region's coffee-growing heritage by visiting nearby coffee plantations, where they can witness the entire coffee production process, from bean to cup.
With its breathtaking scenery, diverse wildlife, and cultural richness, Valle de Cocora offers an unforgettable experience for nature lovers and adventurers alike, making it a must-visit destination for anyone exploring Colombia's natural wonders.

Definitely one of the beauties of Colombia. The walking trail is easy to do and takes you to a hummingbirds nest and through the park. If walking is too much for you then you can rent a horse as well (but I don’t recommend that, poor animals).
The weather is constantly changing around this area, so you’ll have some foggy photos as well as clear blue sky photos! If you’re taking the jeep from Salento, make sure to be one of the last to get on the jeep, that way you can ride on the back of the jeep and have amazing views!! Definitely recommend to go here
Michael vd Berg — Google review
Breathtaking views! Different lengths of paths, so some are good for kids or people who want to do shorter walks (30 minutes to 2.5 hours) and you still see beautiful things. There is a map at the entrance where you pay and they explain the paths and approximate lengths. Best thing is to come around 7.30am to 8am to start walking for less crowds and better pictures. It starts to get busy at 10am. Lots of cars coming in.
Lina Maria Chinchilla — Google review
Hit it 👍🏿! It is probably the reason why you came to Salento in the first place. Definitely worth the experience. I would suggest going earlier in the morning like at 730. We had almost nobody with us where as when we were leaving it was getting really busy. You just go to the main square and buy a ticket. The jeep brings you to an area where you walk down the path and pay again to go into the park. Then it is up to you if you want to take longer way or the shorter way.

A stunning valley where 60 foot palm trees create an unbelievable backdrop. Definitely a must see when in the Colombia coffee zone. The weather is fantastic!
Alex Otalora — Google review
It was worth the trip but it does take a while to get there and the roads are narrow with a lot of turns. The valley is beautiful and the trees are magnificent. There is a good amount of parking available as well as some formal parks so that you can take pictures and walk up the side of the hill and get a better view. There is a ranch with horses that you can ride down the valley as well.
Kyle PICKLE — Google review
Lovely valley to explore. Doing the loop is definitely a good choice. There is a reserve to see birds where you need to pay 20k pesos. It was confusing the fact that we had to pay 20k pesos to go inside the valley and 6k pesos to leave. The valley is beautiful and the trails are very easy to follow.

Maybe the most stunning place I’ve ever been to. Unbelievable how beautiful it is here.
We did a hike across a mountain to finally get there, I would recommend to do that hike. You can also take a short cut, but i believe you’ve got to pay for it.

A gorgeous place to go, amazing vistas and stunning terrain. Rode bike up the valley, and stopped here at a local restaurant. Rustic, but perfect after a long ride. Cold beer, cold showers (you need that after a long ride;refreshing), and lots of good food.
You won’t regret coming here or eating in the area!
Kate Phillips — Google review
Incredible views! I would recommend hiking the large loop, which is a lot less crowded than the hike to the view point. The views are wonderful, you get to walk over 5 hanging bridges and pass beautiful waterfalls. It took us about 5 hours to complete the loop. I would recommend starting early enough, since the latest jeeps return to Salento at 18h20 and you definitely don’t want to miss those! Good hiking shoes, long trousers and a rain jacket are also recommend. Entrance to the long loop is 20.000 COP, you can pay at the start of the trails and continue through all checkpoints after.
Zoë Verloo — Google review
I can recommend the 12km hike in the morning, which is definitely less crowded than the hike to the viewpoint.
The level of the trail is easy-intermediate incl. passing of 5 hanging bridges. The views arround the trail are stunning, its one of the most beautiful landscapes i have seen.
Nicolas — Google review
Gorgeous day and a must do! This area was stunning in every way. We took the jeep from Salento and walked about 7 miles doing the whole loop. We went counterclockwise to end with the palms and it was a good choice. It was full of rope bridges, waterfalls, and much easier than going with a group.
Sepp Wigger — Google review
Awesome place, nice 12.5km trek (approximately), easy to follow, hard to get lost. Awesome pictures and views. Took us 5 and half hours to complete with easy peace. Suitable even for little bit less fit people.
In the morning I recommend to be at least at 7am at the main square in Salento and take Jeep which costs 8000 cop per person, both ways. Jeeps ride approximately every 30-40 minutes, so if you miss one, you will probably have to wait.
You will pay 20 000cop to enter national park - pay at the entrance counter, plus another 6000 in the end, if you decide to make big loop.
Recommending doing it counter clockwise - so at first you will walk nicer trail, with not that big inclination and beautiful views on Cocora valley, then you will descend into rainforest, walk near the river and pass a lot of interesting bridges over the river. Plus you end up closer to the parking where jeeps stops and takes you back.
In the afternoon there is a lot of people going down and not that much jeeps, so expect waiting around 30 minutes for ride down.
Lukáš Gardian — Google review
Truly wonderful. Sometimes slippery but immensely worthwhile (even in the rain) hike in nature, with excellent scenery.
A unique opportunity to see the rare wax palms outside of a dense forest.
There are stops along the way, where water, coffee and a very limited range of snacks and drinks can be bought.

Vía al Valle de Cocora, Km 11, Salento, Quindío, Colombia
Donde Juan B in Bosques de Cocora, Valle De Cocora offers stunning views from its rooftop tents. Though pricey, the location is worth it. However, amenities could use some improvement as cleanliness and hot water for showers were lacking. Guests have the option to purchase wood for a campfire. The staff was friendly during our stay. The restaurant on site is expensive with no other options for dining nearby at night.
Quite simply the very best family restaurant in the Cócora area! Beef and the trout are always on the perfect term. Pet friendly, child friendly, and warm cozy atmosphere.

First of all, Google does ask… what do I recommend about the restaurant this restaurant?… well, I want to advise you all, PLEASE PLEASE DON’T GO THERE, don't waste a second nor even a penny there. Let's begin:
1) One and most important, terrible service, non-human, and last but could be less critical, ultra slow.
2) One of the plates, a trough that smelt funny and had a very strong flavour. Regarding it, the restaurant did not charge the plate. One ☝🏻 good point to highlight. However, the rest of the drawbacks overweight the positives.
3) In overall, totally overpriced for the quality of the food.
4) The worst of all, staff being disrespectful, not knowing how to take feedback for improvement, and making fun of its customers after paying.
Mauricio Carbonell — Google review
Parked here for 10,000 COP (about USD 2.50) and then walked up the main stretch not really knowing what to do. Came back for our lunch (they reimburse your parking if you spend 20,000 COP at the restaurant) and were impressed. Food was pretty good but Juan Sebastián, our server, was excellent. Very attentive, patient, and friendly.
This place isn't just a restaurant, but has a short private hike (not sure if it's free for everyone, but it was free with our meal) that is absolutely gorgeous. Great views up and down the valley and a good view of the river. Juan Sebastian did a great job explaining the local area and the famous palm trees.

We stayed in our rooftop tent for a night. A bit expensive but the view is really nice. The commodities ate not the cleanest one, shower is very very cold. You can buy wood do to a fogata. People on site were nice. The restaurant is expensive and there is nothing around to eat at night.

Pretty good place. Excellent place to come to if you want to see the Valley of the Cocora and its trees by just sitting down somewhere. Food was decent overall except the grilled chicken breast dish, most in my party enjoyed their trout. It's expensive for Colombian standards. I had a party of 28 that I called a few hours ahead for, and they were able to accommodate us, but asked for a deposit of $400,000 COP. The final bill for 28 people, including some children, and including the deposit, was about $1,540,000 COP or approximately $372 USD. This made it about $53,000 COP or $13 USD per person.

Best trout I’ve ever tasted. We had the fried one and the fried with mushroom sauce, both amazing. The aguapanela with queso is definitely the best I’ve had in the region. Service from staff was amazing and the view is espectacular!

The atmosphere is decent, it’s pretty much the only good thing I can say about the place. The service is terrible, and openly dismissive. They turned off the lights and music while my family was still eating. Not a single piece of food had any flavor, the patacon with the sauces was the only highlight of the meal. I had the trout in shrimp sauce which I had to add half a pound of salt to, the chicken fillet was flavorless and I can assume the same for everything else in the menu. Almost forgot, the consomé the pollo was actually pretty good.

I have been recommending this restaurant to many people from all over the world that visit the Quindio area. However, yesterday I was there with some friends and I saw how the place has deteriorated. The food was ok, the service not great, but what bothered us the most was the appearance of some interactive musicians who spoiled our lunch with some bad dancing, worse singing and very vulgar and sexist jokes. Valle of Cocora has been spoiled by mass tourism for a while now. But Juan B was a restaurant where you could still find some peace and a decent trout. Now the bad taste has finally reached it too.

My wife and me had a launch there and these are the results;
1. My wife is sick in bed now and was vomitting because of the food in this restaurant - she had a fish dish
2. I ordered rare + baby beef steak and got well done 0,5 cm thick, fishy flavoured meat., side dish is terriblle.
3. Ordered 2 juices, they charged 3 and did not want to change the bill
4. The apetisers and main course came almost at the same time
5. Waiter you must yell to so he notices you
6. Tables are not stable
7. There where some restaurant dancers playing for 5 minutes and then come to each table ask for money
8. Not recommended

Worse than one can imagine. Quality of the food as well as the service is way below any standard. The place is always packed because locals do not mind bad service and bad food. Or maybe visitors are served poorly since they are treated as one timers.. Therefore, as tourist, please stay away. Never mind the price as such. But value for you money is unacceptable. 50% of the food served is inedible. Even fried plantains and vegetables are worthless. I live in Armenia and this is the 3dr time y leave the place without eating. This picture shows the remains of a "churrasco". More tha 50% of what was served Certainly this will be the last time. Sad to say, the worst service I have ever experienced in Colombia. We ordered 3 beers and food to share. One beer was full of ice, the other exploded + filthy cans. After 40 minutes of waiting we approached our waiter who said we never ordered any food (although I watched him write it all down.) Unfortunately, this Juan is no A, or B… it should be Juan Z!

Great place for the whole family!
Only downside is that we were a group of 11 and one senior on wheelchair and even though the zoo provides wheelchair the roads are not handicap friendly, we had to help between 4 people to get out senior down the hill a few times because it was impossible for him to do it himself.

This is an amazing place to visit by yourself or others. Animals look great and healthy which is the most important part. Prices are okay and food is the only thing that could be better, still it can’t put aside the beauties you can find in the park. I’m eagerly waiting for the new extra parts that the park will have in the future.

Absolutely worth the trek to visit. It is beautiful. You can tell they truly care for the animals. The birds exhibit was my favorite. It rained in us all day but we did not even care. We had a lot of fun. The staff was wonderful. All the animal exhibits had the animal information in both English and Spanish, so I did not need to translate for my husband which was wonderful. We will come back next time we r in the region.
Valentina Aragundy — Google review
Amazing place that takes fare of rescued species. The animals are way more active before lunch/midday so if you can go as early as they open it’s better. Regular weekdays are also a good strategy so there are fewer people. Because bring repellent (anti-mosquitoes) and sunscreen because a part of the walking tour is just crossing through the Guaduales (a protected species in the region). There aren't many packed animals so don't expect to see a thousand species, they seem to be all in good shape and taken care of. The reserve takes care of abandoned or neglected wildlife so some of them are in the middle of a treatment, like the giraffe (looks grey)
Liliana D?az Cruz — Google review
Interesting park to visit. There are many places and different sections of animals to explore. There is also food service at this park. I would recommend visiting in the morning when it is not so full. The architecture of the place is very well done and interesting to look at.

Would not visit again. Purchased tickets and person that takes the tickets spent 5 minutes explaining where to start ect. All while carrying our puppy in his bag. Walked half the park. Then an employee stated there are no pets allowed. Yet, the park is full of stray dogs. Make this make sense? The place is over rated. There is a ton of walking and a ton of empty exhibitions. The hippo exhibit had fish in it. The hippos were in another place. The actual park is huge. Some parts you walk on mud/rock/unpaved roads. I would not say this is friendly for people with mobility issues. The animals they do have are nice. They seem to have space to move around. Staff is rude. There are people at some of the exhibits but no one really speaks to you unless you ask something. They do have a great food court but it is overshadowed by the stray dogs sitting next to you or roaming while you eat. If I had never been to any other zoo in the world, or animal sanctuary, I would give this place 5 stars. But unfortunently I find its high praise over rated.
E Galvis — Google review
The park is big and has some cool spots to take picktures with some animal and dinasour sculptures, there is also a place where you can find food and it also has a lot of bathrooms. The animals were the best part, the biggest like hippos, elephants, rhinos, and more are outstanding. Depending on the hour they may be asleep or not. But I definitely recommend this place.
gerardo arteaga — Google review
There were lots of different animals to see. They seem to be well taken care of. Take with you enough water and enjoy your visit.

Nice place to visit the animals, very clean and spacious enclosures. You can see the only giraffe in Colombia. It's better if you speak Spanish as there is not much information in English. Great place for kids and a few places to eat inside. You can go by car or take the bus and then walk or take a taxi to the entrance.
Rebecca W — Google review
Disappointed with my visit, has potential but the park seems unfinished. Also went on a Friday and it was full of multiple school visitors whom unfortunately made the experience less enjoyable. The crowds were rowdy and not well behaved. Animals were amazing just wish i would’ve seen more of them.
Talia Lopez — Google review
Amazing experience. First I gotta say: go as early as you can (they open at 9am) or else you will see half of the animals asleep. Bring anti-mosquitoes lotion + sunscreen, there's a good portion of the walk you will be doing in open areas.
The good care of the animals it's noticeable, we enjoyed the time spent there.
One last tip: don't take the alternative road, just go through the main road entrance (or you will end up in a one-sided way inside of a neighborhood).

Absolutely stunning. Not swamped by tourists, especially if you have your own vehicle. There's a good paved road to the main gate, except for the last 5km which can be driven slowly in most any car. Tours are available from Manizales or twice a day from the gate. You can also drive past the gate with your own car on the dirt road. No motorcycles allowed past the gate because of previous louts going off road and causing damage.
If you decide to go around towards Murillo make sure you have a very high clearance vehicle or dual sport motorcycle. That route is definitely not for the average "tourist".

The Nevado del Ruiz also known as La Mesa de Herveo (English: Mesa of Herveo, the name of the nearby town) is a volcano located on the border of the departments of Caldas and Tolima in Colombia, about 129 kilometers (80 mi) west of the capital city Bogotá. It is a stratovolcano composed of many layers of lava alternating with hardened volcanic ash and other pyroclastic rocks. Volcanic activity at Nevado del Ruiz began about two million years ago, since the Early Pleistocene or Late Pliocene, with three major eruptive periods. The current volcanic cone formed during the present eruptive period, which began 150 thousand years ago.

I stayed two nights in the hostel which was incredibly well organized. Be prepared to cook your own food although the mini mart in the hostel is well stocked. You can bring your own ingredients in.
You are out in the middle of a huge hacienda and free to roam the area. They have some hikes up and down the hills well mapped.
The tour was really interesting as they take you through understanding coffee, the picking and fields and into the processing.

This place is friendly, warm and professional. We forgot our small machine there and the team was so kind to return it back to us in Salento. Very much appreciated. thank you.
İt is hard to find the place in dark, better arrive in daylight.

Such a serene and beautiful spot on a working farm. The wild birds are extraordinary and some fantastic giant iguanas. The food was fresh and flavorful. We loved the bird watching and coffee tours. No AC in rooms and some bugs because you are in a ecolodge surrounded by nature.. Not for those who insist on all the modern conveniences but definitely for those who crave peace and quiet and natural beauty. . Very memorable experience.

We loved it. A hidden treasure in Manizales. A bit difficult access due to a bad road but it worth the effort. Super friendly staff. We were late for the workshop they gave us a free map to walk around on different hiking roads. Such a wonderful experience: birds, insects, a river, coffee, bananas.

A really beautiful and giant coffee hacienda in the department of Caldas that has magnificent views of the coffee on the Ladera of the mountains, great local guides, and a wonderful hotel with a pool.
The space is big and interesting to get to know the coffee process and its history.
Taste some filtered methods of coffee and learn about the best soft coffee of the world in this wonderful big hacienda.

We had a wonderful few days on the farm. The hostel is a five minute walk from the main building; we stayed in a little bungalow in the garden, beautiful and quiet. A birdwatchers paradise! Our hosts made us feel very welcome, the tour through the farm and its facilities was awesome. Highly recommend this place.

Little piece of paradise!! It’s a bit out of the city centre so go there to stay and relax, it is definitely worth it. The hacienda is authentic and very charming ( I stayed in the main house) and the surrounding nature is incredible. I learned a lot from the coffee tour and workshop. Also the birding tour is very recommendable as there are so many beautiful birds around there you don’t want to miss. It’s a unique opportunity where they provide you with decent binoculars and give very useful tips to take your first steps in
this mesmerizing world. Food is delicious as well and you can tell that everyone who works there does it with heart and soul. I absolutely recommend, muchas gracias!

Great coffee farm and hostel. Beautiful area with a lot of beautiful birds. Staying at the hostel part was especially great. We stayed 4 nights. The host staff Blanca was amazing, very friendly, helped us with laundry, cooked breakfast and was always there whenever we needed anything. The pizza kits were a lot of fun. Met great fellow travellers. We could use the pool at the lodge and also used the lunches there. We did the coffee tour, cupping workshop and chocolate experience which were given by amazing hosts. We had a nice hike around the area as well.
Very beautiful and peaceful area that will leave you fully relaxed and recharged. 10/10 would recommend!

We stayed for 4 nights at Venecia. The location is beautiful and the house staff were so friendly and looked after us very well with good food and service. However,we had the worst room (rm 1) which was right next to the entrance and therefore no privacy if window/shutters was open, so dark.We asked the office/reception twice to move rooms and despite constant changeovers of guests over 4 nights they couldnt be bothered. When we paid our bill there was no thanks.Everything else was amaxing, coffee tour was excellent.
Dont let this put you off, just ask for a room with a view at the rear or side of the house.

Incredible experience! The staff is excellent and you can't miss coming here. We tried the coffee and cupping experiences, and both were fantastic. Overall, it was amazing.

This place is amazing. Staff is friendly, funny, super helpful, in good mood and speaking fluently English. I was there for coffee tour. Group was small, we were only 9 people and it was Sunday morning (tour started at 9:45). It was in English, guide was awesome guy, speaking fluently, told us a lot of interesting facts. He answered all of our questions, some related to topic, some not so much. Tour had funny and friendly atmosphere. You can also buy their coffee there, 3 types, grinded or whole bean. It costs 35 000cop for 250g bag. If you want you can ask them and they will sell you big bag used on farm to carry coffee around for 20 000cop. You can use it as decoration. I will put it on the wall when I come back home (you can see bag on the wall in one of the pictures). It is easy to get there, even by bus, because only thing you need is to take bus or taxi and leav it next to the Las Palmas restaurant. From there you can call them or text them on WhatsApp and their employee will pick you up by car. If you are in Manizales and you want to see coffee farm, have cocoa tour, barista course or something, this is great place to do it, 100% recommend. It is suitable for kids and elderly people, too.

This farm is beautiful! I can’t say enough good things about this place. It’s a perfect way to explore the true Colombian jungle. The main house was relaxing and a nice way to meet new people. The best part was the incredibly nice staff who made us feel at home and took extra good care of us and our baby. Highly recommend!
The Catedral de Manizales, located on the south side of Plaza de Bolivars, is a unique and impressive Catholic cathedral. Completed in 1939, it boasts a rose window and canopy on the main altar. Constructed of reinforced concrete, this cathedral represents one of the first churches of its kind in Latin America. Its main tower stands at an impressive height of 106m; making it the tallest church tower in Colombia.
Nice cathedral. And the climb to the top is spectacular

If you have the time (70 minutes) do the tour! It takes you to the top of the spire and you get to learn about the history of the church and the city of Manizales.

Known as the Cathedral Basilica of Our Lady of Rosary is located right in the middle of Manizales. A vey beautiful church which is quite large. It has a tower which you can go up to to see a great view of the city.

What an incredible tour! For 13000 COP we had a 1:15 tour that took us up to the Polish Corridor. It's not for the faint of heart, but the views are spectacular.
Michael Greer — Google review
An impressive place with interesting history. I took the guided tour, which is not very expensive but takes a couple of hours. The highest lookout gets a bit crowded and hard to move, but there are many amazing views on the way up.
James Playfair — Google review
I think it's one of the best in Colombia. Glass work is great. The cost of participating in a touristic tour inside the cathedral is 13,000 COP per person. Children are 8,000 COP. With this tour, you can also climb to the highest point of the cathedral. Inside, on the 2nd floor, there is a cafe overlooking the square. The service in the cafe is bad but the coffee is good.
Öner Buçukcu — Google review
Very, very nice from the top. It's the tallest church from Columbia. You can only reach the top if you book a tour which takes 75 min and is in spanish language. The tour was very interesting and costs 13.000 COP per person. It's especially recommended to do the tour at 17:00, to see the city by sunset/nighttime when the lights turn on.
Timo Schönfelder — Google review
Nice spot to poke your head in and take a look. This magnificent Basilica has a cafe on the upper level that was really nice and has a great view overlookong the main square. We wanted to climb to the top but this is only possible via a paid tour. The tour pricing was a bit too much and duration was over an hour and we didn't want to spend that long there so we didn't do it.

It's an interesting place to visit, full of history and great for people who aren't afraid of heights. But the guide was missing a lot of information about the place.

plaza de Bolivar, Cra. 22 #24-13, Manizales, Caldas, Colombia
The Monumento a Los Colonizadores is a striking 15-meter-high bronze sculpture located in the neighborhood of Chipre. Crafted from 50 tonnes of bronze, it depicts pioneers with their tools and animals, symbolizing the city's founders. The monument offers a spectacular view over Manizales and PNN Los Nevados. Additionally, it features two separate sculpture sets: one representing the city's founders and another named "Agony," depicting the city suffering from an earthquake.
This will be forever one of the most wonderful pieces ever created. Love the story love the art. Moving! Also, best view of Manizales and part of the coffee axe.
Fernando A. Garc?a-Bastidas — Google review
The most amazing place if you wanna see bravery and courage building a city in a piece of art.
Alejandro G?mez — Google review
This monument is composed of two separated sculpture sets. While the one at its center gives the name to the monument, it's the other one hidden at the back that made my trip worth it. This one, named "Agony" a miniature of the city layed as it was suffering from an earthquake, while the surrounding bulls withstand the blow. The entire piece is well crafted and it's a metaphorical representation of a dramatic event.

Nice place with an amazing view all around Manizales. Lot of amazing mountains. I had some fog but it was magic even with the fog. Nice walk up there.
Dario Nisivoccia SMILING TRAVELLER — Google review
It's actually pretty high. ideal for observing the city and the natural beauties surrounding the city. The whole city was covered with fog on the day we were there. especially high altitudes. It was an interesting composition. For example, the church on the back of an ox. We were expected to understand the ordeal and suffering of the colonizers. There is usually a parking lot around. Entry is free.

Although the culinary experience at Dulces Del Jardín was enjoyable and the pastries were relished, there was a desire for more variety. One pastry had a filling of apples and was sprinkled with almonds, while another resembled a roll with dulce de leche. Both desserts were delicious and not overly sweet, which was highly appreciated. The shop also sells local products in a cute setting adorned with flowers and hanging pots.
I enjoyed walking into this store just by coincidence and by hearing it a while ago. It seemed magical at first seeing all the selections and exotic things jarred and stored on the shelves for display. I gave as gifts for a couple friends back home and they enjoyed every bit of the jars Dulces De Jardin had to offer.
