Extremely peaceful and calm. The monastery is open now and is very beautiful. The energy of the entire place is completely different. Just entering this institute delivers a sense of calmness. I meditated in the monastery and the experience was beautiful. The library is like an ocean. One can go and spend entire day reading. I was not aware that we could stay here as well. But the tariffs are extremely low and they have ongoing sessions and retreats related to spirituality all the time. Next time i visit bir i am surely staying here.

"PARADISE" is the perfect word to describe this place. One can positively feel the peace and calmness of this place once you enter, its greenery garden with magnificent chirping sounds of small birds and the positive energy of the surroundings make you feel completely different. I stayed there for a retreat for one week with my groups. One can even stay for a personal retreat also if they preferred. The Institute organized different programs from time to time whether it's related to religion, music, art, meditation, and so on. And among all these things the most important is Tara (the cat's name)she is one of the most blessed cats in this world.
I enjoyed staying there even though for a short period and looking forward to visiting there shortly.

The Shiv Temple Baijnath, situated 17 km away from Palampur, is a popular destination for tourists and worshippers alike. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and his healing powers are believed to reside in the holy water found here. Its unique architectural design bears resemblance to the Jagannath temple in Puri. One of Himachal's finest ancient temples, it features exquisite carvings of sensual figures like those seen on Khajuraho temples.
This location has a positive energy. A large number of people from various states have arrived. One of Himachal Pradesh's oldest temples. Beautiful valleys surround this location. It is necessary to go at least once.

Situated on the foothills of the Dhauladhar Ranges on the left bank of the river Binwa lies Baijnath. Originally known as Kiragrama, Baijnath was a frontier post, as far back as the beginning of the 13th century. The name suggests that the village owes its origin to a settlement of Kiras, a war-like tribe from Kashmir.
It is believed that during the Treta Yug, Ravana tried to propitiate Lord Shiva by performing penance at Kailash. When his prayers went unanswered he went to Kurah (believed to be Manimahesh in Chamba Distt.) and started sacrificing his ten heads. Lest he attained Rudra status and became immortal and invincible, the Devas prayed to Lord Shiva to stop Ravana, . At the behest of the Devas, Shiva not only stopped Ravana but also restored his ten heads and hence came to be known as Shri Vaidyanath. On being granted a boon by Shiva, Ravana asked for incomparable power and permission to carry him and consecrate him in Lanka. Shiva agreed but on the condition that they should not stop on the way. On Ravana’s request, Shiva assumed the form of a Ling in two parts. Putting the parts in a carry basket Ravana started walking south. As he reached the Gokarn area (Baijnath) he felt an urgent need to relieve himself. Seeing a cowherd he handed over the basket with the request that it should not be placed on the ground. As Ravana delayed in returning and finding the basket to be heavy, the cowherd placed it on the ground and thus the Linga got established at Baijnath, one half as Vaidyanath and the other as Chandrabhal.

I am not a very religious person yet the experience here was beautiful. The temple has a lot of peace energy around it. The location of the temple is absolutely stunning. You can see all the higher mountain ranges from there, snow capped. The river flowing at the valley is a sight to the sore eye. There are monkeys in the temple which was unexpected. The temple has been carved out beautifully. One thing that i did not like was that we found beggars sitting outside the temple. It was vey unusual since we did not find that anywhere else in entire bir. But otherwise an amazing experience. One can even go shopping at the flea market just outside the temple.
Vedika Jajodia — Google review
It is one of the oldest temple of lord Shiva where you will see that there are several small temples in which there are small idols of Shiva to worship.
It's having another level of positive vibes coming from temple.
As usual it's having a pleasnt weather but you will enjoy most when it's light raining
At the times of rain it becomes more beautiful.

The temple complex is renowned for its exquisite architecture, featuring intricate stone carvings and sculptures.

Legend has it that the temple was built by Ravana, the demon king of Lanka, as an offering to Lord Shiva.
The main deity worshipped here is Lord Vaidyanath, known as the "Lord of Physicians," believed to possess the power to heal ailments.
The temple surroundings offer a serene ambiance amidst the picturesque landscape of the Himalayas.
Visitors can also explore nearby attractions like the hot springs believed to have medicinal properties.
Nestled at the foothills of the Dhauladhar Ranges along the left bank of the river Binwa, lies Baijnath, formerly known as Kiragrama, which served as a frontier post from the early 13th century. The village's name suggests its origin from a settlement of the Kiras, a war-like tribe from Kashmir.

When his prayers went unanswered, he proceeded to Kurah (believed to be Manimahesh in Chamba Distt.) and began sacrificing his ten heads. To prevent Ravana from attaining invincibility, the Devas beseeched Lord Shiva's intervention. Upon their request, Shiva not only halted Ravana but also restored his ten heads, earning the title of Shri Vaidyanath. As per Shiva's boon, Ravana requested unparalleled power and consent to carry and consecrate him in Lanka. Shiva agreed on the condition of an uninterrupted journey. To facilitate this, Shiva transformed into a Linga in two parts. Carrying the Linga basket, Ravana proceeded south until he reached the Gokarn area (Baijnath), where he felt the urge to relieve himself. He entrusted the basket to a cowherd with strict instructions not to place it on the ground. However, when Ravana delayed his return, the cowherd, finding the basket heavy, inadvertently placed it on the ground, thus establishing the Linga at Baijnath, with one half as Vaidyanath and the other as Chandrabhal.

Have been visiting since it opened Lovely place for a family outing and a fitting memorial for our Kargil Martyr 🙏.Nice walking trails, a kid play area, lovely boating and especially enjoyed the small Aquarium they've started.
The only disappointment was the so called Cafe.A total mess with dirty walls, plastic tables hardly anything to eat.The coffee was decent and so was the Maggi , though highly overpriced for such a poor set-up . The higher ups need to visit it themselves and make the place more tourist friendly.A person coming to spend a few hours here should be able to access reasonably priced food and drinks in a neat and clean ambience.

There’s also an aquarium with around 15-20 species of fishes.

I have been a frequent visitor to this cafe for about a decade (1987-1996) when this place looked more magnificent and had more natural look as the water stream was not cemented and used to babble & ripple. Also there were no buildings around it this café. Everything was good, but it is a small place , yes there is a pool for boating for kids and two swings. The food was good.
But if one says he can spend 2 to 3 hours there this thing can disappoint. Overall the ambience is good and relaxing.
One can spend 1 to 2 hrs there if he / she do some fun with kids and take meal. Otherwise 1 hour is sufficient.

A very nice ambience awaits the patrons while visiting the cafe, run by Himachal Tourism.

The temple honours Goddess Chamunda, a potent and favoured figure in Hinduism known for her fiery aspect manifested by Mother Durga to eliminate evil forces and safeguard the righteous. As the supreme goddess of the universe, Chamunda is a propitious form that blesses devotees with abundance, contentment, and prosperity.
Very well managed temple. The idol is although placed very far. Goid place to visit with family and enjoy the day with the splash of cold water gushing from the mountains. There's also a lot of fun rides and food stalls to top off. A lot of hotels and restaurants surrounding the temple for travellers. Ample space for parking as well. Overall a very good experience.

This is a holy place & a must visit temple in the region.
The sound of the flowing river is peaceful.
This place is crowded but there is hardly any waiting time.
There is ample parking space available & washroom & cooler facility is available.
There are local shops outside the temple.
One can take a dip in the chilling cold river but must be careful as the flow is heavy.
It takes around an hour max to explore this place.

Very revered temple in this region and draws a lot of people.
We visited this temple during our visit to McLeod Ganj. It's little more than 1hr by cab.
There is very large scale construction going on so the prayer opportunities are bit less but nevertheless it's good we got here.
There is paid public parking available at the entrance.

The temple had in itself a unique significance. It was very huge with lots of open space for the tourists to sit there and relax. The temple is quite spacious and the police there is friendly too. The temple does not allow to click photos of Chamunda devi but you can take pictures of the main gate of the temple. The whole temple is marbelised and the floors are quite clean.

A lot of improvement can be seen in the infrastructure of the temple a new building and a new garden has been created which makes it more beautiful. The Queue area has been renovated fully which can hold a large crowd with ease. Which makes devotees wait time easier.

This temple is a holy site and a must-see destination in the area. The tranquilly of the river's movement is evident. Parking spaces are plentiful, and restrooms and a cooler are provided. Outside the temple, there are local stores. It is possible to take a plunge in the icy river, but caution is advised due to the strong current.
A maximum of one hour is needed to fully explore this area. The temple is frequently crowded, but because of effective queue management, waiting times are short. Since it was recently refurbished, new gardens as well as restrooms and ample of parking were constructed right next to the temple.

The Chamunda Temple, currently under construction, has undergone a remarkable transformation in the last 2 years. The entire site is a hive of construction activity, signifying a promising future. Although the ongoing work may cause some inconvenience, it's evident that the temple's new avatar will be worth the wait. Notably, Mondays see a distinct lack of crowds, offering a tranquil experience. The ambitious renovation project promises a bright future for this sacred site, with the potential to become a remarkable spiritual and architectural marvel once completed. It's an exciting time to witness this temple's rebirth and evolution.

Goddess Chamunda in Hinduism is a very popular and powerful deity. This name represents the fiery aspect of Ma Durga manifested by Mother for annihilating the wicked forces from the face of this universe and to protect the virtuous and pious people. Representing the supreme goddess of the universe, Chamunda is a highly benevolent form blessing the devotees with all forms of wealth, happiness and prosperity. The name Chamunda ensues from the two demons Chanda and Munda who were killed by the Mother. 🙏

The temple witnesses regular crowd but the management is good and it won't take much time standing in the queue. Now it has been renovated and hence new gardens were built, also there are toilets, plenty of parking space just adjoining the temple.

I recently visited this temple and I must say that it was a truly wonderful experience. The infrastructure of the temple is very well-maintained and clean, which is quite impressive. Additionally, the all-round police security adds to the overall feeling of safety and security for devotees.
The temple itself holds great religious significance, and you can feel the positive energy as soon as you enter the premises. One of the most interesting features of the temple is a small area dedicated to Lord Shiva in a cave-like temple. It's a beautiful and serene space that you'll definitely want to check out.
Another great feature of the temple is the river that flows through the campus, which adds to the overall beauty of the location. The temple also has a designated area for shoes, which is convenient for visitors. The ample parking space is also a plus point.
One thing to keep in mind when visiting this Mata Ji temple is that it can get quite crowded during festivals and special events. However, the temple staff does an excellent job of managing the rush and ensuring that everyone can enjoy their visit without feeling or rushed.

One of the 51 Shaktipeeths.
(Some legends claim there are 108 pieces.) Maa Shakti's body parts, and ornaments fell to the earth at various places in the subcontinent. These sacred spots are the 51 Shakti Peethas, with each one linked to the 51 letters of the Sanskrit alphabet. Shakti and Kala Bhairava are the main deities at all the peethas.
It's located at 15 km from Dharamshala on the Dharamshala to Palampur road.

The Shaktipeeth Shri Bajreshwari Devi Temple, also known as Vajreshwari Yogini Mandir, is located in Kangra district and is dedicated to the goddess Vajreshvari. It is a sati-Peeth where the breasts of the goddess fell during an incident involving her father Daksha and husband Shiva. The temple has been looted several times in the past due to its immense wealth.
This is the temple dedicated to devi, one of the 9 Devi darshan trips. We went on Sunday and it was not so crowded. The temple is getting renovated. You will find many shops selling parshad (offering to devi) you can take as per choice and pocket. You will also find a place to keep your shoes, which is just near the temple. Remember to remove your socks also as the temple may be wet at some of the places. When inside the temple do ask the priest (pujari/ pandit) which way to look for better darshan.

The reservoir is on the river Sutlej and is named in honour of Guru Gobind Singh, the tenth Sikh guru. One of the world's highest gravity dams, the Bhakra dam rises nearly 225.5 m above its lowest foundations. Under the supervision of the American dam-builder, Harvey Slocum,[3] work began in 1955 and was completed in 1962. To maintain the water level, the flow of the river Beas was channelized to Gobind Sagar by the Beas-Sutlej link which was accomplished in 1976.[4]

Kangra Fort in Himachal Pradesh is a historical marvel that I recently had the pleasure of visiting with my brother, Rugved. The moment we stepped foot into the fort, we were captivated by its grandeur and rich heritage. The awe-inspiring view from the fort's vantage points is nothing short of breathtaking. It offers a panoramic sight of the surrounding landscapes, with rolling hills and lush greenery spreading as far as the eye can see.
The fort itself is steeped in history, and the presence of ancient artifacts and architectural elements was a testament to its glorious past. Exploring the various sections of the fort, we were transported back in time, imagining the stories of battles, conquests, and royal lives that once unfolded within these walls.
One notable aspect that stood out during our visit was the number of foreigners who were also exploring the fort. The Kangra Fort seems to attract visitors from around the globe, drawn to its historical significance and stunning views. The diversity of cultures and languages we encountered added to the overall enriching experience of the visit.
The location of the fort on a hilltop adds to its charm. As we ascended through the winding pathways, the anticipation of reaching the top and witnessing the majestic view kept us excited throughout the journey.
In conclusion, the Kangra Fort is a must-visit destination for history enthusiasts, nature lovers, and anyone seeking a glimpse into the past. Its splendid architecture, rich heritage, and captivating views make it an unforgettable experience for visitors of all ages. I highly recommend a visit to this iconic fortress for a journey through time and an appreciation of the natural beauty that surrounds it.

Historians and Archeologists will have so much to see and tell about this place. We travelled by road from Chandigarh, though the journey was long but this site is worth visiting. Every step you take will make you reminisce your history lessons.
The ticket is only Rs 25 and the washroom too is so clean and well maintained.

If you want to see the scenic beauty of the Dhauladhar mountains range, it is good place and you should go for it but for the fort beauty, it is not as good. View is good for all directions like rivers and forests. In summer, it is hot. Suggestions to keep water and head cap

The Kangra fort is a historic fort located in the Kangra district of the Himachal Pradesh state, India. This fort is also known as 'Nagarkot' and 'Kot Kangra'.This fort stands on a hillock between two rivers (Manjhi and Banganga), among the foothills of the Dhauladhar range. This fort is the largest in the Indian Himalayas, and is under the protection of the Archeological Survey of India.
Really loved the view after a small trek for reaching the top.

During my visit to Kangra visted this fort and the experience was amazing and enjoyed a lot inside the fort. The Kangra Fort is located 20 kilometers from the town of Dharmshala on the outskirts of the town of Kangra, in the Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh, India. The fort is well maintained and the view from the fort is also very beautiful as the fort is situated in the mountain region of india so it's different from the forts which are situated in the plain region. So overall it's a beautiful experience to be in this beautiful place. And it's a must place to visit if in Kangra or planning to be in Kangra.

The fort is in a dilapidated condition though the authorities are doing some restoration work. Do get to the top level of the fort to understand why this location was chosen for the fort. You will get a wide angle view of the surroundings including the river stream meandering through the valley next to the fort.

Kangra fort is first oldest fort in India, located in HP. It has very good sight to see with your friends and family. To reach there you should first come to Kangra bus stand after there you have to take another bus which is going to fort. The duration is around 20 min after you reach you have to walk to get inside.
After reaching there you have to take tickets for the fort after there you can explore.
PS: Photographs are not allowed.
I hope you would like my pictures and will visit here in future whenever you are in Kangra.
Till then stay with me will be updating soon.... Love you guys😊

Must visit this fort to have out of world view and experience. It may take 30-40 minutes to reach the top of the fort but the view from the top is mesmerising and indescribable. Been there twice already and would love to go again.

This fort must have been beautiful in its own time. It's different from the other forts I have seen.
It's all shattered now because of earthquake in 1905. Be prepared to walk a lot. It has too many stairs and long ramps. View from the fort is beautiful. They provide an audio guide as well which is chargeable. Entry ticket is 20 per person but has to be online. Scan a code there, go to asi website and pay.
It is clean fort and has a temple inside.
There is a museum as well after stepping out of the fort which has all the belongings of fort. There is a history Lineage of all the ruling kings which is interesting. Museum also has an entry ticket of 35 per person and HE ASKS FOR CASH ONLY WHICH IS ANNOYING. Right next to museum there is a small cafe which has reasonable rates but again you have to pay back to museum person only and in CASH AGAIN.

Nothing much to njoy. But yes the history is great. You can visit their museum where you will get to learn a lot about the history of the fort.

Kangra Fort is a historical marvel that captivates visitors with its rich heritage and stunning architecture. The fort, nestled in the picturesque Kangra Valley, boasts a commanding presence and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. Exploring its ancient walls and intricate design provides a glimpse into the region's storied past. While some parts show signs of wear, the overall experience is a journey through time, making Kangra Fort a must-visit for history enthusiasts and those seeking a glimpse into India's cultural tapestry.

We visited the beautiful kangra fort yet not very famous forts of Bharat.
This fort is really beautiful inside out. You can see the magnificent creations of the people who build the fort.
As you enter you can see some hindu gods and goddesses sculptures that faces have been damaged. The gates of the fort have been renamed after the Mughals.
As you reach top of the fort you can see the beautiful mountain range and the view from top is breath taking...
You can buy tickets online as well by scanning the QR on the counter.
Please note: if you buy tickets from counter of the fort its 25/-(INR) for foreigner its different.
If you buy tickets online its 20/-(INR), here you save 5/- per person if you go as a huge crowd.

Outside Kangra city… little connectivity issues are there. Autos from Bus stand, Kangra charge around ₹150-200, no bus service but it is highly recommended not to walk as roads are full of monkeys…ticket can be only booked online, there is no offline counter. Reach there and you will get QR code there from where one has to book tickets. Ticket price is ₹20.. overall fort is good but due to lack of any guide facility history lovers will not be able to enjoy it to fullest. There is one gallery at entrance from where one can get information of fort

Old Kangra, Kangra, Himachal Pradesh 176001, India
The Bhakra Dam, constructed between 1948 to 1963 on the Sutlej River, is a remarkable feat of architecture and one of the tallest concrete gravity dams in the world. Tourists can enjoy breathtaking views of the dam from various vantage points accessible by bus or personal vehicle. To visit from Nangal, visitors must have a pass from PRO and provide Aadhaar Card details. Boating in the sparkling blue water is an added attraction.
I want to extend my heartfelt appreciation for the remarkable Bhakra Dam situated in Himachal Pradesh. This engineering marvel stands as a testament to human ingenuity and determination. Its strategic role in providing hydroelectric power, irrigation, and flood control has immensely contributed to the region's development and prosperity.
The sheer scale and grandeur of the Bhakra Dam are awe-inspiring, reflecting the dedication and hard work of countless individuals who were involved in its construction. It has not only harnessed the power of water to generate electricity but has also transformed arid lands into fertile fields, enabling agricultural growth and improving the lives of countless people.
As a symbol of India's progress and resilience, the Bhakra Dam is a source of pride for the nation. Its impact on the economy, environment, and local communities is immeasurable. Let us express our gratitude to this monumental structure that continues to serve as a beacon of progress and a source of sustainable development.

The dam is spectacular. You need to take permits from the local authorities to visit. There is an office at the checkpoint for the same. Also, while the signboard are displayed on the route, it is somewhat tricky to find the correct route. It is better to confirm with the locals on major turns.
Photography is not allowed at the Dam but there are a few locations before and after where beautiful pictures of the dam facade and the reservoir can be clicked.
If you are also visiting Nainadevi (20 km / 30-35 minutes from there), it is better to start at the temple and view the dam on the way back as the time needed for the dam is not too much.

It's an amazing place to visit. My journey to this place was mesmerizing. The scenery, locations, and other facilities were just outstanding. Though you need a permit to visit the place and the good thing is that it takes only 5 mins to get it. The place has a wide significance in our country's growth.
The view of the place is mind-blowing and being there it's hard to believe that you are in India. The place is well maintained by the authorities. There you can have snacks and other amenities. However, you can also go boating in Gobind Sagar which costs approx 400/- Rs for 15 mins.

The Bhakra Dam, found in Bhakra village in the Bilaspur district of Himachal Pradesh, is now a favorite spot for tourists, as is the nearby Nangal Dam. These dams, some of the tallest in the world, were built to stop floods in the Satluj-Beas river. You can visit between 8 AM and 4 PM IST, and it's a good place to enjoy with your family.

Bhakra Dam, built on Sutlej river is an example of architectural excellence, the view from the Bhakra Dam is so mesmerising and a treat to eye and biggest dam ever I have seen in my life. one can go via bus or personal vehicle. If you going from Nangal side, make sure to have a pass from PRO, few kilometres from Nangal on the way to Bhakra Dam, make sure you have Adhaar Card as well. And off course, don't forget to enjoy boating in shining blue water, singing "Aaj blue hai paani paani...." Be there atleast before 2:00 as closing time is 3:30 pm, however you can still have beautiful Dam pictures on the way to Naina Devi. Avoid late evening/night travel as this is single road with many diversions.

Amazing architectural excellence on Sutlej river!! You will surely love the view from the Bhakra Dam as its amazing. The greenery and cleanliness is well maintained. Camera and clicking pictures is prohibited there due to security reasons. The statue of Jawaharlal Nehru at the top of the hill is also good. If you going from Nangal side, make sure to have a pass otherwise they will not let you enter the museum. Also make sure you have Adhaar Card as well to pass the checkpost. Avoid late evening/night travel as this is single road with many diversions.
This dam is fully made by the concrete. There are two sides of the dam, one side is full of the water of the river Satluj and the other side is connecting the canals used for irrigation purpose and the hydropower plant for the production of electricity.

This dam is a very good place for children to roam. This is the biggest dam of India. Many people needed laborers to build this dam. The best part is this. There is a train coming to this dam in which no fare is charged. Due to being the biggest dam of India, the security here is very security arrangement. This is a big thing near the dam in which voting takes place. Here is a very good place for children to visit and for older people. There are many restaurants near the lake. That ji takes out fresh fish from us and that fish looks very good to eat. Do try it once. There are many greenery trees around the lake and there is a very nice environment which is good for good health by staying here every single night and there is Baba Balak Nath and Naina Devi temple to visit here. Permission is made before coming on time to come to Bhakra Dam.

The journey after collection of permit was smooth. After a mini ghat section ,the moment you have the first glimpse of the engineering marvel, you really feel proud. You need not be an engineer to appreciate the construction. Just stand and admire. You are not supposed to click any images , for security reasons but visitors hardly obey that , which is sad.

The Masroor Rock Cut Temple is a cluster of monolithic sandstone temples located in North India. These ornate structures were carved from living rock between the 8th and 10th centuries, displaying beautiful architectural carvings that have suffered severe erosion over time. The temple complex bears similarities to smaller temples at Angkor Wat in Cambodia and offers a stunning reflection when viewed from the nearby tank.
This is a rare monolithic temple of Northern India. It is a marvelous heritage of India.
Very well maintained by archeology department of Indian government.
Tickets can be purchased online only.
Also the temple complex is very best and clean. 2 3 stalls out side for food and beverages.

A peaceful tranquil place that gives you a view that will be with you for life. The view of the temple from across the lake is the best. While it can get really hot during peak summer the way we experienced in June 22, however if you carry an umbrella, you can walk around without much fatigue.
There is plenty of shade to sit and enjoy the view. You can also walk beyond the lake to enjoy some Maggi or other quick snacks or biscuits or soft drinks.
Photo options are a plenty.
Overall a place worth going to and spending at least couple of hours to soak in the peace and awe of the view and wonder about how many centuries back people would have carved out these structures and what would've motivated them to do it.

Beautiful place. Not known too much as it is quite a distance from the main city. But the journey was worth it. A hidden beauty far away from all the limelight. Takes about 2hrs to reach from Dharmashala by car. No bus routes available nearby. A digital entry fee directly payable through app( no cash taken). This temple is in complete ruins post a massive earthquake in 1800’s. No much history is known, no guides available. But the massive ruins speaks for itself the magnificent temple that existed earlier. A pond is beautifully constructed in front, which still has certain ruins beneath it. Apart from the ruins, the view of the temple from the top is heart breaking! However, the sunset view is spectacular at the top!

The Rock Cut Temples of Masroor, located in the Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh, India, are an impressive architectural marvel dating back to the 8th century. Carved out of a single rock, these temples exhibit intricate detailing and craftsmanship, reminiscent of classical Indian architecture.
Visitors are often awe-struck by the grandeur of the temple complex, which consists of a group of rock-cut temples dedicated to various Hindu deities, primarily Lord Shiva. The main temple, dedicated to Shiva, features a towering shikhara (spire) and intricately carved bas-reliefs depicting scenes from Hindu mythology.
While the temples have suffered some damage over the centuries due to natural erosion and earthquakes, they continue to stand as a testament to the skill and dedication of the artisans who created them.
Visitors to the Rock Cut Temples of Masroor can expect a serene and picturesque setting amidst the backdrop of the Dhauladhar mountain range. The site offers opportunities for exploration and photography, making it a must-visit destination for history enthusiasts and travelers exploring the rich cultural heritage of Himachal Pradesh. However, accessibility and infrastructure around the site may be limited, so visitors should plan accordingly.

Recently explored Masroor Rock Cut Temple (11-11-23) – a hidden gem for a family picnic. Even during the Diwali Festive Season, the serene atmosphere prevailed with fewer crowds. The temple, a marvel of ancient architecture, left me in awe. The journey from Kangra unfolded breathtaking mountain views, riverside scenery, and enchanting pine forests. The road, though occasionally bumpy due to recent heavy rains, was generally well-maintained.
Entrance fees were surprisingly low, and the online ticketing process, facilitated by the attentive guard, ensured a smooth experience. The strategically located restroom atop a hillock provided not only convenience but also a panoramic view of the surroundings. Cleanliness was a pleasant surprise.
A quaint eatery near the temple offered delightful treats – from scrumptious Vegetable Maggie and momos to an outstanding pizza. The pizza, in particular, was a standout. I cherished nearly two hours in this picturesque setting, perfect for both photography enthusiasts and those seeking a relaxed picnic spot. Masroor Rock Cut Temple is not just a place; it's a reason to take pride in our rich heritage.

Shri maa Chintpurani temple is one of the most divine, serene and beautiful religious place situated in Himachal pardesh. It is one of the 51 shaktipeethas of devi durga. Chintpurni Temple is located around 80 km from Dharamsala. The presiding deity is Goddess Chintpurni, who is said to remove worries, and is represented by a pindi (round stone idol). Legend has it that when Lord Vishnu severed Maa Sati's body in 51 parts to end Lord Shiva's dance of cosmic destruction, the parts got scattered over different places in India. Considered one of the most important among 51 shaktipeethas, it is believed the head of Goddess Shakti fell at Chintpurni.
The place remains accessible throughout the year and is well connected by road.

Highly devotional place , a must visit suggestion to everyone. The Maa Chintpurni Temple which is a major pilgrimage site as one of the SHAKTI PEETHAS (Chhinnamastika shakti peeth)in INDIA.
Chintpurni (Town) lies within the much lower Shiwalik (or Shivalik) range. It is a small town in the Una district of HP about 25 miles north of Una, not far from the border with the Indian state of Punjab.

Here are few tips for easy darshan:
Park the car in government parking place, take taxi that charge 200 per trip. Taxi drop point is gate no. 2.
Only taxis are allowed to reach at gate no.2.
Gate number 2 is near to the temple and with very less steps. It was very comfortable for MIL who has knees problem.
Right your feedback if you found this way for easy darshan.

P.S : Please get your Yatra Parchi From Counter at BUS STAND otherwise you have to come back to collect it as it's mandatory for darshan.(We don't know about parchi but police man there were generous and they allowed us for Darshan)

Mata Chintpurni is a very popular temple in the Hindu community. A lot of people visit daily to seek the blessings of Mata Rani.
The temple is very well organized and the people management is amazing. There are two parking available and I would suggest parking your vehicle in the first parking which is the government one as the charges are quite low and you can get a darshan token from there.
The temple has started the lift, which wants to go directly in front of the darbar. The lift is free for old age people and handicapped people. But others have to pay a fee of 1100/- to avail of this service. Token for the loft is available is first parking only.

Ancient origin
When Lord Vishnu severed the burning body of Maa Sati into 51 pieces so that Lord Shiva would calm down and stop his Tandava, the pieces were scattered over various places in the Indian subcontinent. It is believed that Sati's head fell at this place and is thus considered one of the most important of the 51 Shakti Peethas.
The goddess residing in Chintpurni is also known by the name of Chhinnamastika. According to Markandeya Purana, goddess Chandi defeated the demons after a fierce battle but two of her yogini emanations (Jaya and Vijaya) were still thirsty for more blood. Goddess Chandi cut off her own head to quench Jaya and Vijaya's thirst for more blood.
She is usually shown holding her own severed head in her hand, drinking one stream of blood spurting from the arteries in her neck, while at her side are two naked yoginis, each of whom drinks another stream of blood.
Chhinnamasta, the headless goddess, is the Great Cosmic Power who helps the sincere and devoted yogi to dissolve his or her mind, including all the preconceived ideas, attachments and habits into the Pure Divine Consciousness. Cutting off the head suggests the separation of the mind from the body, that is the freedom of the consciousness from the material confines of the physical body.
According to Puranic traditions, Chhinnamastika Mata will be protected by Shiva – Rudra Mahadev in the four directions. There are four Shiva temples – Kaleshwar Mahadev in the east, Narayhana Mahadev in the west, Muchkund Mahadev in the north and Shiva Bari in the south – which are nearly equidistant from Chintpurni. This also confirms Chintpurni as the abode of Maa Chhinnamastika.

Chintpurni Temple is dedicated to Mata Chintpurni Devi who is also at times referred to as Mata Chinnamasta. Chinna means ‘without’ and Masta stands for ‘Head’.
Out of all the pieces, it is believed that Maa Sati’s head fell here, making it one of the most important Shaktipeeth. Mata Chintpurni Devi is a symbol of self-sacrifice and according to legend, she is protected by Lord Shiva in the four directions. As such, there are four temples surrounding the main temple. Kaleshwar Mahadev is present in the east, Narayhana Mahadev is found in the west, Shiva Bari in the south, and Muchkund Mahadev in the north.

A very beautiful and serene place. It's up on the hill. There are two ways to reach the top. One way where Cars can park beside the valley, have a steep climb. It's difficult for old-aged devotees. There is a washroom at the top but in a very bad condition and not maintained. Otherwise early morning darshan don't take much time. We had to purchase a ticket to be in the normal line.

This was my first visit to this place as i used to hear a-lot about it but never got a chance to visit. This time, during our punjab visit, we planned to go there in the morning itself. It was an hour approx journey from village kathour. You get a free parking there in front of the temple itself. The history and the stories of this place is so full of positivity and history. This is a beautiful place to be at and i must advise you to please pay a visit once there and you would love to go there again and again as i am going to visit it again during my next visit to punjab. This place is a whole vibe itself and you would get lost in the artistic view of this temple. You will also be served with chai and besan prasad in the temple. We missed seeking blessings from maharaj ji this time as they were out of town for a week or so. But would love to go there again as we could not see the whole temple in one visit. Anyone living in punjab should surely go there for once to have their blessings❤️

My parents say they are hooked to this place from Generations. So we have got to know this place from family only and we tend to visit twice or thrice a year. Whenever some marriage happens in my family, it is custom to donate bedsheets blanket and pillows here. Reason I don't know but that's what we are supposed to do as told by my great grand maternal mother. So recently we did that. Place is hub to nature. One can easily spot the peacocks here and all the Flora and fauna. The place has alot of importance. They say under guruji one pet dog specifically female dog just ate almost 50 KG opium in front of jahangeer जहांगीर badshah and then That king alloted the whole space wherever that dog went. Lot of parking space is available but the link road as of today was under construction which connects pandhori to national highway. Langar is available nearby 1 to 2PM. Tea snacks will be available from 4 PM. SBI bank and ATM are available here for working days only. One has to bow heads in front of Baba mahesh das ji temple while Coming and going also then only the visit will be completed. Market offers prasad which you can take along to temple. Do come and explore this place. Students cannot come without teachers. People come with newly married couples and get blessings of guruji. People come here to get the names of newly born babies. Visit and enjoy.

The experience was good, albeit a few things could have been better - I went with a small baby in a pram, and had to constantly lift the pram as there are no pathways for wheels, it's possible for people with wheelchairs to have similar problems so they should fix this. Another thing is that they don't let us back in after we leave, I get that there is a certain way, but we just left to keep something in the car, and couldn't come back in which was a major let down. All in all, a wonderful experience to witness authentic punjabi culture. I would definitely recommend visiting, but rather come at night than day as in day you can only click pictures and see statues and all, whereas in the night there are shows and activities like pottery wheel going on .

Devi Talab Mandir is a Hindu temple dedicated to the Mother Goddess Durga, estimated to be over 200 years old. The temple offers a peaceful and serene environment, even during hot summer days. Visitors can enjoy the soothing breeze and devotional songs playing in the background, transporting them back in time to the era of Puranas.
Very peaceful and place of serenity even when the summer sun is shining in the mid day.. The breeze, the stotram or devotional songs in the background take you away to the era of the Puranas.

This is a divine temple dedicated Goddess Durga. Famous as Mata Tripurmalini Mandir, it is one of the Shakti Peeth among other 50 Shakti Peeths. There's a story behind the establishment of this mandir that when Maa Sati sacrificed herself after her own father, Daksha insulted Lord Shiva, then Shivji performed tandav dance in anger with Sati's body in his arms. Then in order to pacify lord Shiva & save the universe, Lord Vishnu cut Sati Mata's body in 51 pieces & wherever the pieces fell on earth a Shakti Peeth Temple was established for the welfare of humans. Mata Tripurmalini Mandir marks the spots that received Maa Sati's right breast.
It usually takes 4 to 5 hours to take a complete tour of the mandir. You can visit this temple with your family. There a Temple dedicated to goddess Kali and a replica of Amarnath Cave Temple has been added to the Temple Complex. It's a must visit place in Jalandhar. This temple is very popular among the devotees and is visited by thousands annually.

One of the signs of the advent of the promised Messaih(as) as described by The Holy Prophet(peace be upon him) was that he will be raised near a white minaret east of Damascus. In accordance with Divine Instructions the promised Messaih(as)
laid the foundation stone of this minaret on Friday 13th, March 1903.
In his life time it was raised to 6 feet, then due to lack of funds the work on the structure had to be suspended. It was resumed by the Khalifa-tul-Masih II by laying a brick again on 27th November, 1914. The structure was completed, in the cost of Rs. 5,963 (excluding the 6 feet of first phase) in early 1916. It has three stages, 92 steps and the total height is about 105 feet. The clock was fixed in 1933. The minaret was designed by Syed Abdul Rashid and supervision of the second phase of construction was carried out by Qazi Abdul Rahim Bhatti.
In 1938-39, during the time of Khalifa-tul-Masih II, the minaret was coated with plaster of white marble. It was veneered with white marble slabs in the total cost of Rs. 8,021,35.51 in 1980-81 in the time of Khalifa-tul-Masih III. Qadian is situated to the east of Damascus and the white minaret is the sign of peace and proclaims the Advent of the Prince of Peace, The Promised Messiah, Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad

This place is amazing, so much to do. Make sure to come early around 11am so you can do a lot of stuff and leave early around 3pm. I love how you get a meal encompassed in the entry ticket, all you can eat at a lovely restaurant. I highly recommend this place. They should add bike rides too, would be a cool idea

Went here with almost my entire family. It was the most fun I had since the lockdowns. However the food at the buffet did give us stomach pain but it was worth it since the food at the buffet was delicious. It definitely would be way much better if they would construct a bigger roller coaster. In my opinion, it was worth every rupee!

Visited here recently, had a fantastic time! The rides are well maintained, staff is very friendly and helpful and the cleanliness can be noted throughout the entire amusement park. Most of all, in my opinion, the washrooms were immaculate! We had the buffet and was not disappointed, however I feel desert was missing in the options, nevertheless, tasted amazing! An amazing fun day out for both adults and children.

Wonderland amusement park is a great place for families to go. The rides are fun and the staff is friendly. However, the park can be quite crowded, and the lines can be long.
Wonderland amusement park is a great place to go if you're looking for a fun day out. The rides are all fun and exciting, and the park is well-maintained. However, there are some cons to consider. First, the park can be quite crowded, so be prepared to wait in line. Second, the prices are a bit high, especially for the amount of rides and attractions available.

Visiting Wonderland was an incredible adventure. Although the ticket price initially appeared steep, it was insignificant compared to the exceptional experience we had. The buffet was delightful, and we had a wonderful time with our family during our weekend visit.

Best place to visit during summers. Parking is very spacious and very easy to get a ticket as well. And coming to the water slides they are fun, there are a lot of dry games options, and the buffet is included in tickets with both veg and non veg options. If you want to enjoy it fully then one must visit early. You can bring children as well as old age people there to have a good family time. They have a big park for a picnic, a canteen is also there for many food options. They also have a haunted house ride, a magic mirror room, rain dance section, and many more options to spend a fun time. The worst part is, during evening time,it becomes very hard to find a cab if you are staying in the city area. Make sure you have a proper transportation system to get back to your stay location.

The appetizers were a delightful start to the feast. From the succulent kebabs to the crispy pakoras, each bite was bursting with authentic flavors and impeccable seasoning. The main course was a symphony of tastes and aromas. The aromatic biryanis, the tender tandoori meats, and the rich curries left everyone at the event craving for more. The vegetarian options were equally impressive, with a wide selection of flavorful and hearty dishes that catered to all dietary preferences.
The desserts were the perfect sweet ending to an exquisite meal. It's very knowledgeable venue for all, specially for students. Live Experiment of various science theory can be seen here. Lots of space knowledge can be gathered here. Mostly all branches of science you can see through out your tour. Very interesting place for kids.

Must visit for everyone, plan to start before 10 am, so that you can complete it by 4 pm. Spend your maximum time at science emporium. Dino park is good one. Don't waste your time for climate change simulator, laser show, 3d show and dome show, they are waste of time. Resturant food is good and you can have fast food or lunch there, economical. Ticket rate is worth.

PGSC is one of its kind in India with science as a theme for something on the lines of an amusement park. There are no roller coaster rides there but yes they have film shows in Imax and few other rides and shows.all related to scientific principles. Amazing exhibits and informative galleries that show human evolution and other scientific achievements. MUST SEE - laser show because it is unique and the IMAX dome show. You can see botanical garden, solar panels, wind mill and other gadgets also.

Surreal place. Good atmosphere for praying. It is located in the Gurdaspur district of Punjab state. Very easily approachable through road. If you are planning to visit there, you will have to reach there before 10:00 PM and after 3:30 AM as the main door to the temple is kept closed between10:00 PM to 3:30 AM. You can stay overnight here in the rooms available in the temple premises itself and eat in the langar Hall. Parking with ample space is also right outside the TEMPLE which is paid parking. Even temple security is here which keeps vigil here night and day.

I visited this place after almost 15 years though I live just 30 KM away from here. Alot of things have been updated. Ample parking space is available here with people guiding what should be done and where to park. If the senior citizen could not walk upto temple then one can easily get a ticket from parking space and can get the vehicle to the nearby parking to the temple. But that space is very little. So plan accordingly. Washrooms are also available. Hygiene is not so good near by temple, this is one thing which is needed to focus on as a public also and trust also. Langar haal is also upgraded and alot of People can be accommodated at once. Darshan are available till 1215 PM max and then evening 4 PM so plan accordingly. Cars can come easily roads are OK OK not so good not so bad. Nearby market offers tea and snacks too. Langar haal will offer karhi and rice most of the times with chapati and sabzi. You have to collect and wash your own utensils after done. All in all very Nice experience.

Harike Wetland
Water
Nature & Parks
Nature & Wildlife Areas
This tranquil wetlant, the largest in Northern India, features a bird sanctuary & sweeping views.
First of all this location is not accurate. This place is named Harike Wetland but if you see the map clearly this location has no river or water source nearby which shows the location is inaccurate. Actually Harike wetland is approx 25 to 30km away from this location. This location misguided me too once but i changed location to Harike Bird Sanctuary. For easy and precise navigation i would suggest searching for Harike Barrage(Indira Gandhi Canal) or Gurudwara Nanaksar Sahib in Harike which is approx 300 mt away from Harike wetland or Bird sanctuary. You can start the journey to this sanctuary from that Gurudwara. Regarding this place, its beautiful natural wetland, winters are the best time to visit when birds from europe migrate to India.

The food court is great. Nice and great offers are over there, We got special MC grill offers on French fries french 🍟, burgers, Pepsi and wraps.

Combo @200 and 300
..........................................................................................
Cleanliness is definitely at great level.
..........................................................................................
Not very crowded even at the weekend.
..........................................................................................
But not a lot of things to stroll around. As it is there at trillium. But you can go with your friends to grab a snack. Can be better if add more branded stores especially the common ones.
..........................................................................................
So overall a good experience but can ve improved.

This is by far, the best mall in Amritsar. Though trilium is an option too, but alpha one beats it fairly all due to the ambiance here.Figures say it is spread over an area of 1m sq feet and has around 170 stores to shop from which lay on 2 of its floors.Don't get me wrong, it caters a variety of customers, almost all kinds of em'. We've both international and local brands selling stuff here.

I still remember when alpha one mall was opened in amritsar, it was the biggest attraction point for entire majha block. Still it has the same charme. In fact it has developed so much in all these years. It's most crowded shopping mall of amritsar. Almost all famous brands are available here. Sitting arrangements of food court are amazing. Guru Nanak Dev University is a public university located in Amritsar, India. I don't recommend this to anyone.. Especially if the students are seeking for Private colleges which comes under this university.. There are better options. Instructions aren't clear for any kind of notice why the student pay fees to the university which is excluded from the college.. And I am damn sure it applies in every clg which comes under this university.. Except that there are numerous flaws which can deteriorate a student career.. Hereby, I as a student and from my experience do not consider this university at all...

I am very much satisfied with the college.
Placements: Students from Guru Nanak Dev University are placed at good jobs. There are many placement options for students according to their choice of interest. Most of the students also got admission abroad in universities such as in United States, Australia, Europe, etc.
Infrastructure: All the facilities are available for students. Free E-bus is also available within the university campus for students. The sports department is also very good and well maintained. Good quality food is available for students in canteens and mess at a very low price.
Faculty: All the teachers of our department are very helpful and are always ready to give good guidance to students for their bright future. The exam pattern is also good. The course curriculum is also relevant. If a student faces any kind of problem in the course study, then he/she can approach their teacher for guidance
