I was a trip with my friends to Lansdowne, Uttarakhand, India in the month of May. On the way back to home we had gone to Shri Sidhbali Baba Dham Mandir. I was so memorized by the sheer beauty of the temple. Even though, there were many people in the surrounding who came to take the blessings but still the atmosphere was so calm & full of peace ✌️✌️

Serene environment, divine experience, no long waiting in lines despite a mild crowd. The temple is situated atop a hill and one has to climb a number of stairs to reach there. Holy, divine and beautiful experience (the view and the bhandara is a plus plus)
Sanyam Sadana — Google review
The historic Sidhbali Hanuman Mandir is situated in Kotdwar in Uttarakhand near Pauri Garhwal on a small hilltop beside the Pauri Kotdwar highway. Khoh river flows near it. Visitors have to climb stairs to reach it. Popularity of this place can be judged by the fact that if you wish to book to host a Bhandaara here, you will have to wait for your turn for years. There is plenty of parking space here, and clean facilities for toilets and drinking water.

Overall it was a great experience visiting Baba Sidhbli dham temple. I went there with my wife and son early morning around 7 am.
We drove all the way from Meerut to Siddhbali Dham Mandir and reached there in around 2.5 hours.
It wasn't crowded at all, there were only few devotees around 20 or so. The most crowded day over there is Tuesday as it is said to be the day god Shri Pawan Putra Hanuman ji was born.
The parking was done near a prasad stall as the parking was full of swings due to ongoing Mela of 3 days from the very next day.
You can buy prasad according to your budget and need which starts from ₹51/- to ₹201/- that includes Nariyal, chunri, jaggery, incense sticks and a matchbox.
Keeping your shoes in the deposit area is absolutely free of cost service.
It will only take 5 to 10 minutes to reach the temple using stairs.
Hanuman ji's Statue was very beautiful and attractive.
One can enjoy free meals which is Bhandaras organized by people whose wish were fulfilled by Hanuman ji .
Bhandara is conducting every single day without fail.
Jai Baba Sidhbali 🙏🏻

This is one of the most recered Shiva temple in Kashipur. Also known as bhimashankar mahadev.
The Sivalingam is on the first floor and is of mighty size.
During Shivratri and the famous chaiti Mela of Kashipur, you will see a queue in the temple to offer abhishek to lord Shiva.
The interior of the temple is very unique and beautiful. There are multiple small souvenir shops outside the temple.
Shalika jha — Google review
Located at an offroad location on the way to kashipur. It is generally very crowded. I went to visit in Mahashivratri and it was packed with devotees. One can also find a fair or carnival close to the temple.
Arguably the biggest temple in Kashipur.

Moteshwar Mahadev Temple is situated on the banks of Mahadev Nagar in Chaiti Maidan of Kashipur, Udham Singh Nagar, Uttarakhand. There is a temple of Mata Bal Sundari just in front of the temple. This temple is said to be of Mahabharata period and its Shivling is considered to be the twelfth Upajyotirlinga. Due to the thickness of Shivling, it is famous as Moteshwar Mahadev Temple. According to Skanda Purana, Lord Shiva said that the devotee who will bring Ganga water from Haridwar on his shoulder and offer it here, will get salvation. Due to this belief, people offer kanwar here when their vow is fulfilled. Moteshwar Mahadev Temple is on the second floor. There is a copper floor around this Shivling and it was made by an artisan of Jageshwar. Due to the thickness of Shivling, no one can surround it with both hands. It is said that earlier the Shivling was in the first floor, but due to the ever increasing height, now the Shivling has reached the second floor.
Gagan Sharma — Google review
This is the most soothing and very famous Shiva temple I have been to . Unlike many other temple cleanliness is greatly taken care of . There is special pooja organised on special days dedicated to lord Shiva like on Monday , triyodashi and Shiva ratri .
Besides a couple of other deities are also worshipped here . The temple opens at 4 am and closes by 10 am . During the time of chaiti mela this place is frequented by many devotees to seek Darshana as it is in close proximity with chaiti Devi temple.

This is a very famous and ancient temple of Lord Shiva. The atmosphere here is very positive and energetic. Here everyone's wishes are fulfilled by the grace of Lord Shiva. Every year lakhs of devotees come here on Shivratri festival. This is a very beautiful temple.

Har har mahadev
Pavendra Singh — Google review
It a very well known temple of lord shiva and it is also a 12th upjyotirling.
According to the Shiv Puran Bhima Shankar Jyotirlingam is in Kamroop. According to the historic and spiritual books, it is called the place of Bheem Shankar Jyotirlingam.
In Mahabharata, this place was also known as Dakini. This was the reason Adi Shankaracharaya has illustrated the place by saying “Dakiniyam Bhimashankaram”. Its existence is also described by Kalidas in his “Raghuvansh”. The reason for the name Dakini is the forests which has gone.
The lingam of this temple is very large and touching the whole ling with two human hands is impossible. This kind of lingam is not present in any other part of the country. It is believed that it rises and till now it has reached second floor. It includes a Bharav Nath temple and a Kund known as Shiv Ganga Kund; in front of this kund is the river Kosi
Pooja timing -. 6-12 am and 4-8 pm

Prem Wonderland & Water Kingdom is a vast amusement park that offers an array of activities suitable for all ages. It has thrilling water slides, a wave pool, and other exciting rides for both kids and adults. Visitors can purchase tickets for Rs 250 to access the amusement park or opt for the Waterworld package at Rs 500 per person. The latter includes admission to the amusement park and additional water activities.
It was a pretty good experience.
It's a place having pretty adventures rides and a place with beautiful greenery too .

Good place for kids one day outing with lots of fun rides
Honey Nayal — Google review
1. Not maintained standard level
2. Zhoole are not free and it's not mentioned at entry gate. At the time of ticket purchase ticket counter person told us every activity is included in 600.
3. Need to wear lylon clothes or purchase on rent from their end which is already used so there are not guarantee for washable clothes.
4. No complaint counter.
5. Wave activity in pool is just for name because they are running for around five minutes within three hour.
So as per my view open your eyes and try other option like Bareilly And NCR which is far better than here in every thing and level of standard and social atmosphere also good.
Jimmy Khanna — Google review
I really loved it
But there should be availability of tube for children to enjoy it more..
Amit Bhartiya — Google review
It was a good day out place with the family.
Price for amusement park is rs 200 ( entry fee) charges for all other rides are separate (rs 30 each ride each person and bumper car rs 100 per person ) in that sense entry fee is quite high. Otherwise there are so many rides with out any charges also like see-saw, round n round etc.. interior is also good for taking pics .
Sulabh Agrawal — Google review
Most of the big slides are not working, poor maintenance, person got stuck between the slides due to low water pressure, too high price ₹600/person only for water park, water level is quite low, this will increase the chances of injury. Good for kids age between 10 to 18. Not recommended for Adults.
Aman Ami — Google review
Fun place to go with family and friends, Waterpark with lots of slides like Tornado, Huge Slide, etc. Goa Water waves in the pool at 2 PM and at 6 PM in evening are awesome. Also, the park here has many joyrides for kids, A toy train to move around whole place. Hotels and Restaurants inside to eat. Everything at one place.
Ticket for park & water kingdom: Rs 500
Ticket for only park: Rs 200

The mall is under renovation. Only a few of the shops are functional. You will certainly waste your parking charges which is too high for this kind of mall. Just some food shops are there. Only some food shops are available.
Fehmida Khaliq — Google review
Mall is good but there are very few shops and also not much maintained. It's only good for watching movies , gym and small get together and few restaurants opened inside.
Also for kids there are some basic activities and washrooms are not clean and unhygienic.

Not all the shops are open yet so you may not feel ambience as bright as other NCR Malls.
But It can be a good option for those who want to enjoy cinema and food just in the periphery of Bulandshahr City.

Not good as it was in past I think thier mangement is not good now that's why it's a mall only for name because there is nothing you can do there other than cinema

This Mall opened in Bulandshahr a long time ago but since today there is no such crowd visit here due to the lack of branded shops only few local shops are available. You can visit if you want to celebrate a birthday or any kind of party. Suncity cinema hall is present but the quality of the screen is not worth it.

Very good place for masti, hangout & time pass in Bulandshahar.

Aligarh Fort is spread over a large area. It has beautiful garden and in garden there are a lot of plants and trees.
But, only one thing which I don't like about Aligarh fort that is, whenever anyone want to go inside this fort the watchman always stops and denies to go inside.😡
Therefore I am rating with three stars of Aligarh fort.

Aligarh Fort, also known as ‘Aligarh Quila’, ‘Baunasaur Quila’ or ‘Ramgarh Quila’, is amongst chief attractions of the destination.
The fort was built by Muhammad, son of Governor Umar in 1525 during the reign of Ibrahim Lodhi. It is located on a hill with steep ravines on all sides of about 32 feet.
The polygonal construction having bastions at each angle is the highlight of the ancient testimony
Anup Gupta — Google review
Aligarh Fort is considered to be one of India’s strongest forts in the region. It was built in the 16th century by the son of the presiding governor in the court of Ibrahim Lodhi. Located on GT Road, the fort is shaped like a regular polygon and is surrounded on all sides by a very broad ditch. Over the years, the fort was rebuilt several times to further expand and strengthen its boundaries.

Aligarh Fort, located in the city of Aligarh in Uttar Pradesh, India, is a historic fort with roots dating back to the 16th century. Built by Ibrahim Lodhi, the fort underwent significant renovations during the reign of the Mughal Emperor Akbar. Its strategic location on the Grand Trunk Road made it a crucial military outpost. The fort's architecture reflects a blend of Mughal and Indian influences, featuring impressive gates, bastions, and a large moat. Aligarh Fort has witnessed various historical events and played a role in shaping the region's history. Today, it stands as a testament to India's rich cultural and architectural heritage, drawing visitors with its historical significance and picturesque surroundings.
Huzaif Ahmad — Google review
Aligarh qila or bone chor ka qila was built in 1524-25 by ibrahim lodhi, however now only the ruined remains of the fort are present but alot of greenery, beautiful and colourful trees are present inside the fort area alongwith a botanical garden under control of aligarh muslim university.
Here you can find birds and animals like peacocks, ferrets, koel birds, etc and the ambience is really calm and peaceful.
Reaching the main ruins of fort and on top of the fort area is not easy as the trails which leads to them are covered in thorns, bushes and steep inclines.
There is no entry ticket so anyone can visit it which makes it a weekend destination.
A large parking area is also present here.
So if you are a nature lover then this is a must visit place.

Jama Masjid, Aligarh Muslim University is one of the oldest structures established in the campus. The construction of mosque was started in 1879 by Sir Syed Ahmad Khan (the founder of the University) and was declared open on 1 February 1915. The mosque is almost prototype of the elegant Jama Masjid of Shahjahanabad, Delhi. The only difference being in scale and magnitude.
Jama Masjid is having three multifoilated domes resting on the drum. In addition, it has two lofty minarets, longitudinally stripped with red sandstone and Dhaulpur stone. The white marble strip, on which the calligraphic inscription from Holy Quran is engraved, enhances the central Iwan. The interior is highly ornamented with white Araish plaster having Calligraphic inscriptions from the Holy Quran and golden floral patterns.

The Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) Jama Masjid is a magnificent mosque located within the campus of Aligarh Muslim University in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, India. It was built in the early 20th century and holds immense historical and cultural significance.
The construction of the mosque was initiated by Sir Syed Ahmad Khan, the founder of Aligarh Muslim University, as part of his vision to create a world-class educational institution for Muslims in India. The mosque was designed by Muhammad Aminuddin, a prominent architect of the time, and built by the university's construction department.
The construction of the mosque was completed in 1929, and it was officially inaugurated by Sir Ross Masood, the Vice Chancellor of Aligarh Muslim University at that time. The mosque was named Jama Masjid, which means "Friday Mosque," because it was primarily intended to serve as a place of worship for the university's students and staff.
The mosque features impressive Mughal architecture with a beautiful marble facade and intricate carvings. The main prayer hall can accommodate up to 2,000 worshippers and has a spacious courtyard for congregational prayers. The mosque also houses a library, which contains a vast collection of Islamic literature and manuscripts.
Over the years, the AMU Jama Masjid has become an iconic symbol of the Aligarh Muslim University and a cherished landmark of the city of Aligarh. It continues to serve as a center of Islamic learning and a place of worship for the university's community and visitors alike.

Nestled within the vibrant campus of Aligarh Muslim University lies the majestic Sir Syed Mosque, a cherished landmark with deep historical roots. Situated within Sir Syed Hall, this mosque not only serves as a place of worship but also holds the revered tomb of Sir Syed Ahmed Khan, the visionary founder of the university. Construction commenced in 1879 under Sir Syed's guidance, culminating in its completion in January 1915. I visited this temple as I came to know its a very famous Shiv Temple in Aligarh.
This temple is like a mall of Gods you get so many temples and lots of Gods to worship in the premises .
They have a full size 100 ft tall Shiva statue and a grand big Ganesha statue . Other dieties include Radha , Krishna , Sherawali Mata , Santoshi Mata , Shani Dev , Ram , Sita .
The biggest turn off in this temple is it is very dirty no maintenance. Everywhere you will find water spill and lots of dust. The crowd is also not very civilised.

This is a Shiv Temple on the way to Aligarh. We visited on a Monday and did not find it to be crowded. The temple is a short walk from the main road and does not have steps. The shivling is always surrounded by devotees but the temple has a good vibe to it. Beware of monkeys - they don't create a nuisance but you would find quite a few of them in the temple compound.

Very famous I recently had the pleasure of visiting Khereshwar Mandir in Aligarh, and I must say, it was an impressive experience. This famous temple not only boasts a significant spiritual significance but also offers ample space and a vibrant atmosphere.
One of the first things that caught my attention upon arriving at the temple was its sheer size. Khereshwar Mandir is known for its sprawling grounds and spacious premises. It provides visitors with plenty of room to move around comfortably and enjoy the serene environment. Whether you're a devout devotee seeking solace or a curious traveler wanting to explore the temple, the abundance of space is a definite advantage.

Good place to calm down and focus on your spirituality and inner self. There is no charge to enter this place and once you enter there is a noticeable silence where you can sit down and or roam around while focusing on your one self and inner thoughts.
Amidst the chaos and cacophony of the life, this place offers complete solitude and peace. Among the highly divided populace on the basis of religion in India, this places is unique in welcoming people from all religion with equal fervor. It is place where the beauty and teachings all religions are equally celebrated. This place tries to bind everyone with the thread of humanity and promotes one-2-one connection with the super soul of the faith they believe into.

Seva Kunj, located in Vrindavan, is a small temple surrounded by trees where Lord Krishna and Radha are believed to have spent time together. Legend has it that the grove was once used for their nightly dances (maharas) and that devotees can experience this through meditation.
This place is abode of shree radha krishna.. Daily at night after maharas lord does charan sewa of shree radha rani ji in sewakunj...

Vrindavan is a beautiful place and famous because Lord Krishna spent his childhood here. The place is bestowed with his blessing and there are several holy places which will stun you with its miraculous spiritual presence of Lord Krishna and his beloved Radha Rani. Seva Kunj is yet another holy place in Vrindavan that celebrates the unconditional love of the blissful couple Radha-Krishna.
Seva Kunj Mandir in Vrindavan is magnificent place showing the divine love of Radha Ji and Kanhaji. Seva Kunj is also known as “Nikunj” Van. This place is close to Lord Krishna’s heart. There is a beautiful idol of Radha Krishna in this temple. There is also a kund here known as Lalita Kund. It is believed that every night Lord Krishna and Radha Rani visit this place. So, this place is closed totally after evening. Although we can see many monkeys during daytime but by evening, they also leave this place. Seva Kunj in Vrindavan is addressed so because it is believed that Lord Krishna served the Radha Rani in this sacred place. Krishna helped her in getting ready for Raas Leela by combing hair and decorating her with ornaments. This can be depicted by the mesmerizing painting on the wall and the shlokas inscribed here from the Hindu Scriptures.
Seva Kunj Mandir is decorated every night and all necessary items are placed here for a night. Here in this mandir, devotees aslo see the beautiful paintings of Lord Krishna and Radha doing Raas Leela with the Gopis. Paintings depict the Lord Krishna serving Radha rani with massage to after the pious Raas Leela.

Seva Kunj, also known as Nikunj Van (forest), is located in Vrindavan. Vrindavan is a city which goes synonymous with the life of Lord Krishna. It is a town in Mathura district where according to Mahabharata, Lord Krishna spent his childhood. It is one of the most important Hindu pilgrim point. The place is known as Seva Kunj because Lord Krishna used to do seva (selfless service) of Radha and helped her get ready for Raas Leela (a holy dance).Seva Kunj was discovered by Swami Hit Harivansh in 1590. Followers of his sampraday maintain this sacred site and offer daily pooja seva to the presiding deity. It has a beautiful temple dedicated to Radha Krishna which is also known as Rang Mahal, where Radha and Krishna used to perform Raas Leela along with other gopis of Vrindavan. The temple’s walls are decorated with paintings of various leelas performed by Shri RadhaKrishna. Each painting depicts different aspect of Radha and Krishna. One of the painting depicts Krishna combing and decorating hairs of Radha. In another painting, Lord Krishna is massaging legs of Radha after she is tired of Raas Leela. Other paintings depicts RadhaKrishna playing Holi and in one Krishna is enthralling Radha while playing flute.
Seva Kunj
The temple gates get closed after sunset and no one is allowed to enter the temple after evening aarti, as it is a local myth that Radha Krishna still perform Raas Leela and no one is allowed to see this divine spectacle. Even the monkeys which crowd the temple in the daytime, desert the temple after sunset.

Sevakunj in Vrindavan appears to be a place of historical significance, but sadly, it has not received the care it deserves. The site is quite old and appears neglected, with a lack of maintenance, cleanliness, and hygiene in the surroundings.
It's disheartening to see the decline of what must have once been a holy place. It's unfortunate that both the government and the local community have not taken better care of it, allowing it to deteriorate. It's puzzling why people continue to visit and potentially contribute to further pollution in the area.
Within Sevakunj, you can find small temples and Nidhivan, and the Yamuna River is nearby. If you do plan to visit, I recommend going in the morning around 9 or in the evening at 4:30. Auto rickshaws are not very common in this area, so transportation might be a challenge. Also, be cautious of the mischievous monkeys that are often found there.

Vrindavan place is heavily populated with monkeys and their unity would amaze you. If you tease a single monkey, then the entire gang of monkeys will come to his rescue. Don't consider monkeys as fun there and do not tease them by any means. you will sure be in trouble if you do So. Don't wear Glasses and don't carry any bottles and cool drinks. For sure Monkeys will trouble you. They are very crazy about Sun glasses and Specs. if they notice you wearing one, they would come and snatch them to wear themselves. No matter how weak your eyesight is, please avoid wearing specs. if you have to wear then be careful.
Most of the Vrindavan temples and tourist spots will closes at 8 pm. so plan your trip after lunch or early morning. Avoid planning in the evening. Best time to plan is after lunch so that you can spend Half day here to cover all important temples and spots. Try to plan Prem Mandir at last to your visit as it is so beautiful in the lighting and be careful that you will reach there before 6 pm so that you will enjoy your Prem Mandir Visit.

Hindu temple with carved pillars & domes, set in gardens with fountains & illuminated at night.
No words can describe this place. This place is so beautiful that you will forget about everything else.
We went here on Saturday evening and the place was superr crowded. There are a lot of exhibits to see here and the main attraction is the temple.
It is advisable to go here in the evening as they do a light show and they also do a grand musical fountain starting from 7:30 to 8pm daily.
They have a CANTEEN also here where you can find few things to eat and it is not expensive
There is NO PARKING place here and evenings are super crowded so it is advisable to not drive here at all. It is better to walk and take a rickshaw.
They don't charge entry fee anywhere, you will have to pay only in the canteen for what you eat.

There is also a theme park arround the temple where some stories of Lord Krishna a shown.
To really experience the beauty of this temple one has to visit in the evening time when the light show and fountain show started they make this temple more beautiful.
The crowd management is a lack from temple management they have to make more efforts in handling of the crowd.

One of the really large and one of the oldest temples in Mathura and always crowded with devotees both residents and from outside Mathura.
In its present form the temple was developed by the Scindias of Gwalior. Here Sri Krishna is worshipped as Dwarkadhish & Radha as Radharani.
The pillars are richly & colourfully carved are are the ceilings.
In spite of the crowd and the presence of touts as in every temple in Mathura & Vrindavan, one can steal a few quiet moments in a corner and pray in silence.

Shree Dwarikadhish Temple is one of the most holiest Hindu pilgrimage place located in Mathura City, Uttar Pradesh, India. It was built in 1814 by Seth Gokul Das Parikh from Gwalier, Madhya Pradesh, India. It is situated in very narrow lane, so it would be better to park your vehicle at main road and reach this place by auto/battery rickshaw.

Radhe Radhe! This is one of the most visited temples of Mathura Vrindavan. Lord Krishna resides here in form of Dwarikadheesh (Kind Of Dwarka). The temple is beautiful with intricate carvings and Rajasthani architecture. It is located on the banks of river Yamuna and opens at 6:30 am. I would recommend to go there as early as possible and breathe in the divinity. You will avoid crowds and get the Darshan peacefully. You can then visit Yamuna ghat and dont miss to have kachodi aalo & dahi jalebi for breakfast.

Amazing temple . The internet says it opens early but actually it opens around 9 am so dnt do too early. You can visit vishraam ghaat nearby. Please do not do the guides there as they will trap you in unnecessary Pooja rituals and take money from you

Visiting this divine temple was a truly transcendent experience, deserving nothing less than a five-star rating. Steeped in history and spirituality, the sacred site holds a unique charm that captivates both the heart and soul.
According to the rich traditions, the original temple, attributed to Krishna's grandson Vajranabha, stood as a testament to the sanctity of the location—the very residence of Krishna. Despite historical challenges, the temple's resilience shines through, having weathered the storm of destruction inflicted by Mahmud Begada in 1472. The subsequent rebuilding efforts in the 15th-16th century, adorned in the Māru-Gurjara architectural style, have resulted in a breathtaking masterpiece.
The temple's aesthetic beauty is nothing short of awe-inspiring. Intricate carvings and divine sculptures create an atmosphere of profound spirituality, making every corner a visual delight. The ambiance exudes serenity, inviting worshippers and visitors alike to bask in the divine aura that permeates the sacred grounds.
The meticulous reconstruction showcases a harmonious blend of historical reverence and architectural brilliance. Each detail tells a story, weaving a narrative that connects the past with the present, fostering a sense of continuity in the worship of the divine.
In conclusion, this temple stands not only as a testament to religious heritage but also as a beacon of architectural excellence. A visit to this sacred haven is an enriching journey, leaving an indelible mark on one's soul. It's a place where history, spirituality, and architectural marvel converge, deserving of the highest accolades.

My visit to the Dwarikadhish Temple in Mathura left me with mixed feelings and was marred by overcrowding and a lack of organization. One notable issue was the absence of a designated area for shoe/sandal removal outside the temple complex. This meant that visitors were left to find makeshift solutions, resulting in clutter and confusion at the temple entrance.
Despite these shortcomings, the temple's architecture and spiritual ambiance are undeniably impressive and a must visit place.

Amidst the bustling streets of Mathura, 500 meters west of The birthplace of Lord Krishna lies a 2 km road which leads to The Dwarkadhish. Here, Lord Krishna is worshipped as the "King of Dwarka"
You have to line up to meet (him) behind the curtains. 10 minutes before the curtains are drawn, you hear rhythmic beats of drums and the chanting, creating an atmosphere charged with palpable energy and devotion. The drums make you feel the divine presence of the king.
Perfect setting for spiritual contemplation.

This is one of the most holy places I have visited in Mathura as it is said to be the birth place of our lord Krishna. Near about 5000 years ago lord Krishna born there in the jail to Vasudeva and Devaki Maiya. Later he was transferred across the Yamuna river to mata Yashodha Devi and Nanda and brought up by them.
So, the Sri Krishna jonmo bhoomi place is basically the place where lord Krishna is appeared on earth. We have visited there in the evening. We can't carry any electronic gadgets like mobile, camera etc inside the place, so we have to submit them in the booths with minimum charges. There are separate gents and ladies booths. After that we have to wait for a while in the checking booths for security check. Then we entered the place.
It is no doubt a peaceful place. The inside area is a little chilly. When we roamed through the jail area I literally had goosebumps. It is such a good fortune of me to see that place in person. Other than that the whole place is quite beautiful and maintained. I have enjoyed my journey there.

The stone walled cell is reminiscent of the cruelty of King Kansa. Many statues and sculptures of the bygone era were found on excavating the site. The prison cell was gradually turned into the present beautiful temple. Lakhs of devotees throng the temple during Janmashtami.

The holy place where Lord Shree Krishna menifasted himself.
The original place is in the form of prison where Lord Krishna's mother father were captured by Kansa.
The place is really a divine place and you can really feel the presence of Shree Lord Krishna.
Post that the main temple of Lord Shree Krishna is built.
Inside the campus mobile and camera not allowed.

This place is phenomenal, it's just marvelous. I mean you would love this place from the very start. It is filled with good vibes. The sculpture of Shree Radhe Krishna is very beautiful. It provides you inner peace. It's really hard to describe my feelings in words about here.

If you believe in god then this place is history for you or else it's a myth. It was supposed to be the place where lord Krishna was born. It's also called Kans karagar. You cannot take mobile phones inside so plan accordingly. There are cloak rooms at gates where you can keep your phones. Timing is the same as any other temple in Vrindavan and mathura. There are 3 gates. Gate 3 seems to be less crowded than the other gates. Gate one has many shops and food joints. So plan your visit accordingly.

Do not carry any electronic gadget or purse as it is taken out by the security.
No camera, no mobile and not even smart watches or earbuds are allowed to be taken in the gate and may not be even given back if taken by security, so it is advised to go without any instrumental gadget .

Shri Krishan Janam Bhumi is a very interesting place to visit. This is the place where you can enter only after you deposit all the electronic items with you like Mobile, Electronic watch and other belongings except money and for each item you have to pay Rs 2. So while you visit this place you need to have change with you. Infrastructure is fabulous. The jail where Lord krishana was born is worth seeing. Apart from that there is a Mosque adjoining the Temple. The place is under the strict surveillance of the Military.

There are some counters are made in which you can submit your bag.
There are sone counters specially made for mobile phones.

Itmad-ud-Daula, also known as the Baby Taj, is a stunning Mughal-style mausoleum made of white marble and adorned with semi-precious stones. Built between 1622 and 1628 by Nur Jahan for her father, Mizra Ghiyas Beg, it is often considered a precursor to the Taj Mahal. The mausoleum features beautiful towers and a distinctive square top, set amidst luxurious gardens and composite buildings.
It is a historical monument quite beautiful but sadly not maintained at all. Agra Tourism Department and ASI which charges tourist should really do some serious maintenance work. Only extremely positive point was the monument details were also put there in Braille. Only tourist spot where this was done in Agra

The tiles - the patterns - the colours 😍
I still can’t believe how they built these amazing buildings 😍

This is open from sunrise to sunset. It is made up of white marble so some say it as a mini Taj Mahal and it has four doors. Back door is facing Yamuna river and the view is beautiful. You can sit here and enjoy the view. The art work on marble is beautiful and amazingly well done. Inside this, there are 4-5 graves are there which are present in four different corners of this monument. Rest this place is beautifully maintained by authorities.

The Tomb of Itimad-ud-Daula is dedicated to Mirza Ghiyas Beg, the father of Nur Jahan. Itimad-ud-Daula was his title. This mausoleum situated on the banks of river Yamuna was constructed in 1626_28 AD. There are many things in this mausoleum, known as Baby Taj, which were later adopted while making the Taj Mahal. People say that at many places the carvings here look more beautiful than the Taj Mahal. Another attraction of this mausoleum is its dome made in the Central Asian style. The gardens and paths here enhance its beauty even more.
This mausoleum is the first mausoleum built in India which was made entirely of white marble. Pictures of trees, plants, animals and birds are engraved on its walls. Here and there the pictures of men can also be seen which is a strange thing because in Islam it is forbidden to use human beings as an object of decoration. Because of its beauty, this tomb is known as the Jewel Box.

Itmad-ud-Daula, often referred to as the "Baby Taj," is a gem of Mughal architecture nestled along the banks of the Yamuna River in Agra, India. This exquisite mausoleum holds historical significance as the tomb of Mirza Ghiyas Beg, the grandfather of Mumtaz Mahal, for whom the Taj Mahal was built.
You must visit this place whenever you are in Agra. Most of the people forget to visit this place. If you are a photo lover, you must take some time to take videos and photos.
The whole place is accessible. Wheelchairs are available at the ticket counter at free of cost.

This is an under-visited and underappreciated site that you should go see. It really gives you an idea for where Shah Jahan got the ideas for the Taj Mahal. As you can see from my pictures, there was almost nobody there, and it was pleasant to walk around.

Itimad-ud-Daulah, otherwise known as the Baby Taj was very good for gentle scroll.
This was the first Mughal tomb to be built entirely of marble. Gentle walk by a large garden make you think about both mouseleums.
Baby Taj was built by Nur Jahan and completed the construction of the building of the Tomb of her father in 1628 AD, nearly 7 years after his death.
Taj Mahal was built in period of 1632 to 1648.
Shah Jahan's favorite wife, Mumtaz Mahal, was the niece of Nur Jahan,. Mumtaz Mahal. died suddenly in 1631, after giving birth to the couple's fourteenth child. She is buried today directly under the center of the great dome of the Taj Mahal. in her memory by her deeply grieving husband.
Hmmm.....makes you think.......
Definitely worth visiting.

The Taj Mahal was inspired by Itmad-ud-daula , 30rs ticket. Along with the main building, the structure consists of numerous outbuildings and gardens. The tomb, built between 1622 and 1628, represents a transition between the first phase of monumental Mughal architecture primarily built from red sandstone with marble decorations, as in Humayun's Tomb in Delhi and Akbar's tomb in Sikandra – to its second phase, based on white marble . Located on the eastern bank of the Yamuna River, the mausoleum is set in a large cruciform garden criss-crossed by water courses and walkways.
The tomb is a must visit , less crowded, parking facilities available.

Itmad-ud-Daula in Agra, often referred to as the "Mini Taj Mahal," is a true gem. Though smaller in scale, its intricate architecture and delicate details rival its famous counterpart. The serene ambiance and historical significance make it a must-visit for anyone exploring Agra. This hidden treasure offers a more intimate experience, allowing visitors to appreciate the artistry and history in a quieter setting. A delightful addition to the Agra itinerary, especially for those seeking a glimpse of Mughal splendor on a smaller scale.
Mehtab Bagh, located in Agra, is a partially restored Mughal-era garden that offers stunning views of the Taj Mahal. This tranquil park features symmetrical landscaping and ample green space for visitors to enjoy. Originally built by Emperor Babur as part of a series of 11 parks along the Yamuna River, Mehtab Bagh fell into disrepair before being reconstructed in the 1990s.
Overall: as others said, garden could use some work but there were still pretty flowers (I went in May). But that's not why you go. You go for the beautiful Taj Mahal views which were great and it's possible to get pictures without any people in your shot, something not possible across the river at the Taj Mahal.
How to get there: we took a Taxi, organize it with your hotel or the taxi driver himself to take you both ways and wait for you while you're there. Taxi/car/bus parks in parking lot and can't go right up to entrance so mist stop about 1.5 km away. Tuk tuks are there to take you further to entrance (we paid 100 rupies round trip and he waited for us) or you can walk it. Entrance was 300 rupies cash (no card available at that time) for *foreigners* (a lot cheaper for Indian citizens) and we paid right there. Other reviews said buy online but we just walked up and paid.

Translated as 'Moonlight Garden' it is located across the Yamuna river directly opposite to the Taj Mahal.
It's construction has been attributed to both Babur & further beautified by Shah Jehan.
When I visited in March 2017, the flowerbeds were being readied for planting.
Very few if the available plants & trees were flowering at that time, but one can imagine what the garden would be like in full bloom.
Both the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort are visible from here.
For some reason many businesses in the North usurp the names of popular places to enhance their business

If you carry any food, they will keep it in with them and will return it once you leave the bagh.

Great views of Tajmahal. The place where a black Taj Mahal would’ve been constructed if Aurangazeb didn’t imprison Shah Jahan.
Agra Development Authority has constructed another View point, both have the same views.
The parking is little far from the Garden and tickets are available online until 45 mins before sunset.
The park is closed after sunset. The area is little shady afterwards. So better plan your logistics beforehand.
I luckily got an auto but otherwise it would’ve been riskier.

Always a stunning place to look upon, with a mesmerizing and breathtaking view, no matter how many times you have visited. Recently, a main mausoleum ticket has been introduced, costing ₹150. For those visiting for the first time, they might consider buying the ticket, but I suggest not to. There's nothing inside worth spending an extra ₹150 for , the main entry ticket is for ₹50 (also don't buy those shoes cover outside, you can get them for free at the main mausoleum entry and you only need them for main mausoleum )

How can you not visit one of the 7 Wonders of the World?! This palace is simply amazing and beautiful. I have no words for this beautiful structure. Beyond its beauty, there is a powerful story of the history, involving family, murder, imprisonment, death, and memorial after death. Despite seeing a lot of other visitors there, it didn’t feel crowded. And once you entered inside to see the replica of the tombs, you entered in single file that seemed to move along quickly. The grounds are well maintained and beautiful and overall it was fairly clean. Getting back was a trip! Waiting for the golf cart transport with the other visitors, there was no proper order or manners-so you gotta be quick if you want a seat on the transport back!

It will take around 1hour 30 minutes for a full tour with a guide. It has been created so thoughtfully ages ago that you can't imagine. The symmetry in architecture, the 2D designing giving 3D illusions, the carvings of gems and the way they glow in light, I was so amused to see all that which I didn't know earlier. I admire the beauty but more than that the architectural skills. Must visit atleast once in a lifetime..

Hire a local photographer for their digital copy then you don’t have to worry about getting nice photos. They know the nice shots for you. You could get a paper copy as a choice. Go to the other side across the river as well to see from a different view. It looks different depending on the time of day.Spectacular! Great history and amazing architecture! What can I say, it's the most amazing place I have ever visited. The story behind the Taj Mahal and the craftsmanship is incredible. I went as part of a tour, I would definitely recommend getting a tour guide as they can tell you all about the history.
We got there just before 8am and there were no wait times at all and this was a Saturday. There are photographers who will take your picture if you want them to but otherwise your tour guide will know all of the best spots to have them. I truly hope I get to visit again!

It's a beautiful place and a beautiful structure. The view of yamuna is amazing on the backside, properly maintained and garden view is also great. A must visit place with friends or family. Just one thing which was not okay that washrooms are not properly maintained other than that it's a great area and great place. I really enjoyed being there 👍🏻

Taj Mahal, a 17th-century marvel in Agra, India, is a Mughal-style mausoleum made of marble. It features minarets, a mosque, and meticulously designed gardens. Rudyard Kipling described it as an embodiment of purity and beauty.
It's magnificent.. but there's better marble work in Mt.Abu.

Marvellous piece of Architecture. In India there many places with great architecture. This monument is worth visiting. Better to book online tickets and avoid long queue. Early morning is best time to visit less crowded and peaceful. Drinking water is available inside gate no need to carry bottles avoid plastic.

Here, you will get the image of the monument reflected on the water. However, it is a crowded spot so you have to wait for your turn to be able to position here, and quickly take your shots once you're in front as others also want to be in this prime spot.

Cherish your moment there, an iconic heritage site. No wonder it's among the wonders.
Go to the site during proper day light and spend time till evening to enjoy the sunset moment.
The normal entry ticket costs 50 per head, whereas to the podium it will be 150. Of course it's worth visiting and look at the artworks from close eye distance. Keep your token handy, as it is required while exit.

As expected a truly incredible experience. It was magnificent and worth hiring a guide to explore the entire area. Recommend using the restroom before entering the grounds as they are very limited there and not great. Make sure to look at the detail
In the marble with all of the exotic stone inlays (by hand) in the dome.

No matter how many times you have visited this wonderful monument, every time it feels so different and so amazing and it really would be a monumental regret of your life to not have visited this monument once in your lifetime.
It's like this monument has a life of its own and you too will feel it when you are near to it.
No wonder why many dream of visiting this wonder everyday.

No doubt it's one of the 7 wonders of the world. Spectacular, Beauty created with great architectural skills. Hire a guide there and you will get so much more to know.

Well managed but for the first timers, it can be tricky to take autos from the car parking as autos are only allowed till a certain point. It is best to take government run battery buses from parking to entry point. From there just a 2 minute walk and one can buy entry tickets before getting in the queue. A big racket and ruckus about shoe covers, so please buy them in advance !

Absolutely stunning and marvelous; must-see in your lifetime. Even if the journey is long for you (40 hours for me to get here from Florida) it is worthwhile getting to see this fantastic structure. I highly recommend you pay for a guided tour as it will be educational and efficient. The great photography was a bonus! Indescribable the setting and the architecture as well as the love story here. Must see whilst visiting North India. Absolutely loved it. Although if you are non Indian tourist, you have to be careful with local tour guides and shop owners not to try to charge you few times more for services and items.

This is the most dishonest, crooked, scam of a company I have ever experienced. I bought a handcrafted table from them when touring their facility in Agra. I learned about 3 hours later that the very same table was 1/3 of the price on their website & my travel colleague saw thousands of them in a hidden room in the store. So much for it being a “one of a kind” design! Within 24 hours, I called & cancelled my order. I got disconnected (calling from in-country) & they refused to let me speak to my sales person.
This sale took place in Nov 2022. They asked me to allow til April 2023 to receive the “handmade” table. It is now JAug 2023, still no table & no refund of over $2000 has been received, despite having been told & in writing NUMEROUS times by Shaan that they owe & will send me the refund. I have complied with EVERY REQUEST they have made for documentation, and a requested electronic transfer document from my bank. Waited, waite, more time, patience, trust & still empty promises, dishonesty & total theivery! Tourist traveling to India (especially Agra) BEWARE!! Don’t trade with Kalkriti- you will be very sorry!

Kusum Sarovar is surrounded by magnificent structures which were constructed by Jawahar Singh, the king of Bharatpur in the middle of 18th century, in honor of his father Raja Suraj Mal. A simple earthen pond till 1675, it was properly built by ruler of Orchha, Veer Singh, after which Suraj Mal constructed a garden for his queen, converting it into a beautiful place. Afterwards, Jawahar Singh built astonishing structures in the memory of his parents.
There are three tombs in the upper level. The main tomb of Raja Suraj Mal has beautiful paintings on its ceiling depicting the pastimes of Krishna and the lotus feet of Krishna engraved on the floor. There are also some paintings of Raja Suraj Mal in his court. The other tombs are those of his two queens, Kishori and Hansiya. The interior of these buildings is also breathtaking. Walls are decorated with paintings and ceilings are highly decorated. These include paintings on the lives of Jat kings and on the Lilaas of Lord Krishna. राधे राधे 🙏🙏🙏🙏

This place is a joyful thing to experience. The Sarovar and the fort like structures around it. The Sarovar is very big with structures extending within it. As you go to the opposite side of the entrance, you experience the fort. Again there is a temple whose structure looks more intricate to me than some footprint it holds. I believe this is the only historical thing people need to see in this region.

The luxurious medieval bathroom of the world 'sheesh mahal' is situated near angoori bagh in Agra fort. There were so many reflectors used to be fixed on the walls and roof inside Sheesh mahal but people put a large number of mirrors out of it unfortunately goverment banned the entry, Sheesh mahal has been a centre of attraction ever itself you can still taste the juice of this creative genre from the outside.

Shish Mahal, which translates to "Palace of Mirrors," is a stunning architectural feature found within various Mughal-era buildings, including palaces, forts, and mosques. Here's more information about Shish Mahal:
1. **Design and Architecture**: Shish Mahal is characterized by its intricate mirror work, which adorns the walls, ceilings, and sometimes even floors of the structure. The mirrors are often set in colorful floral or geometric patterns, creating a dazzling effect when light reflects off them.
2. **Symbolism**: The use of mirrors in Shish Mahal is not merely decorative; it also serves symbolic and functional purposes. Mirrors were believed to reflect the stars and create an illusion of a starlit sky indoors, symbolizing the cosmos and the heavens. Additionally, the reflective surfaces helped to enhance the natural light within the space.
3. **Historical Significance**: Shish Mahals were often used as private chambers or audience halls by Mughal rulers and nobility. These luxurious spaces were where the elite would entertain guests, hold court, or engage in leisure activities.
4. **Examples**: One famous example of Shish Mahal is located within the Lahore Fort in present-day Pakistan. The Shish Mahal in the Lahore Fort was built by Emperor Shah Jahan in the 17th century and is renowned for its exquisite mirror work and beautiful frescoes.
5. **Other Instances**: Shish Mahals can also be found in other Mughal monuments, including Agra Fort and Red Fort in Delhi. While not as elaborate as the Shish Mahal in Lahore Fort, these structures still showcase the Mughal love for intricate decoration and architectural grandeur.
Overall, Shish Mahal represents the pinnacle of Mughal craftsmanship and artistic expression, showcasing the fusion of Persian, Islamic, and Indian architectural styles.

Sheesh Mahal is one of the architectural wonders inside the Khas Mahal in Agra Fort. It was commonly used as the Summer Palace by the Mughal princes as it was structured in such a way that it kept the Mahal cool from Agra’s heat. Water devices were installed with fountains and a waterfall inside the Palace. It was originally adorned with the finest glass pieces imported from Syria in order to reflect sunlight into the thick palace walls.

Sheesh Mahal is one of the most fabulous structures inside the Agra Fort. Located on the western side of the Musamman Burj (an octagonal tower lying in close proximity to Diwan-i-Khas), it is an incredibly beautiful sight to come across. This structure was one of the many additions made by Shah Jahan. Built between 1631-1640 AD, it also served as the imperial bath of the Emperor. The Mahal is also famous for having extra thick walls which were built to keep the interiors cool and pleasant.
But it was close , no one could allow to enter in, only you can see is by the close net door with the help of your phone flashlight.

It was built by Mughal Emperor Shahjahan as a part of summer palace. Its most distinctive feature is glass mosaic work done on its walls and ceiling. These glass pieces have high mirror quality which glittered and twinkled in thousand ways in semi-dark interior. The glass was imported from Haleb of Syria. Shahjahan built glass palace also at Lahore and Delhi, but this is the finest of all.

In the past, this was an imperial bath. Mirrors were used both in its walls and ceilings. When illuminated, they would sparkle the entire hall.
However, now, the majority of the mirrors are no longer there. Also, there is a metal barrier so you can only see the hall's interior from outside.

Sheesh Mahal, in Urdu language, literally means 'Crystal Palace'. However, with its pietra dura decorations and intricate mirror-work inlaid into the white marble walls and ceilings creating gleaming effect, the lavish room has come to be known as 'Palace of Mirrors', and sometimes the 'Hall of Mirrors'.Declared a World Heritage Monument by United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (Unesco), 75 per cent of the area of Agra Fort is in possession of the Indian Army, closing it for the tourists. In the remaining 25 per cent part, a majority of the monuments have been cordoned off by the ASI now.Within the Shalimar Bagh, Shah Jahan constructed "Sheesh Mahal" (crystal palace). The Shalimar Bagh had witnessed events of historical significance such as in 1658 AD the coronation ceremony of Aurangzeb took place at Sheesh Mahal.

A historical fort having incredible architecture and ambience. A vast area of fort is with Indian Defence.
Better to visit the fort with a Guide who can explain the historical aspects of the fort. The entrance, ambience, Courtyards and other structures are really grand. The red stone and marbles used for construction of the fort, give a royal feeling.

Agra Fort is one of the largest forts in India. We are only allowed to explore 20% of the area. And yet, those 20% are already big enough for us to explore, which is remarkable 🤩
And yes, it's a very nice place for a photo shoot 📸
We booked a tour guide in advance, and it was worth every penny as they told us the story and history of the Agra Forts and more.
Tips: Do wear comfy shoes, t-shirts, bring small towel and mineral water. Avoid visiting in the afternoon as it will be getting hot there.

The Agra Fort is one of the biggest forts in India. While the exterior is impressive, there isn't much to see inside. However, the walls and rooms are in good condition and well maintained. If you're interested in learning about the rich history of this place, you can hire a guide available at the entry gate. Tickets can also be purchased online for your convenience. Exploring the fort with a knowledgeable guide will enhance your experience and appreciation of its historical significance.

We went on a weekday in the evening and it was very crowded, it take more than 20 minutes to enter completing the ticket checking. The fort is beautiful and huge. Once you enter you get to take beautiful pics, considering it's huge, people scatter quickly and we get a peaceful view but don't expect too much of peace 😂

If you like walking in historical buildings or place then this is the best place for you. Very heavy work has been done on it and very beautiful flowers and leaves have been made on its walls.
Because the fort of Agra is very big, so during its journey you may get very tired but you will also have a lot of fun.

One of the best fort in India. The architecture of the fort is very beautiful due to presence of red rocks. We have to walk for 40-60minutes to cover entire area inside. Security checking is there in the entrance. Carry bags are not allowed inside. Locker facility is available near to the entrance. Always preferred to go in winter or in monsoon season.

Great place to visit. Can see the mugal emperors judging court, rooms, balcony, masjid etc...Guide is needed to understand all these. If they written all the information all people can understand every place' purpose easily. There is no good food/hotel available outside the Fort.

The places is very well preserved. You might not need a guide if you read about the place beforehand and keep a map of the fort handy. Keep an umbrella if you’re visiting in summers, it gets really hot. Tickets are cheap, like ₹40 or something. Beware of Auto-rickshaw-wallas, they’ll try to trick you into paying a lot if you aren’t careful.

Very beautiful fort. Must visit.
I prefer taking a guide every time i visit a historical place. It gives me knowledge of why the place is designed in such way or hidden places and much more history..
I would recommend the same to others.
But only take government authorized guide.
General charges to guide are 450 to 500 approximately or written on board sometimes.

Wow, just awesome. It's located right in front of Agra fort railway station. Auto and taxi ride are very cheap, but they will trick into booking hotels, going to good restaurants or buying pethas. They all work on commission, never fall into their trap. There are many palaces in the fort, you will surely enjoy it.

The red fort of Agra is just amazing as it was shown in movies. The story of Red fort will just kept you bound. The beauty of this monument is mesmerizing. The fort is so big, it is divided in to multiple sections according to the kings name. Every little corner is actually designed so calculatively. If you see a single pillar, then also you will feel the art and work they have done over here. If you are visiting it, then you should go for guide also. They will tell you the details of every single corner. It was an amazing experience.

Best place to see in Agra. Exterior is impressive and so does the internal parts of the fort. Eighty percent of the fort area is under the control of Army rest twenty percent is open for visitors. Hiring a guide is recommended as they will tell you about the history and architectural features of this fort.

No need to describe this place for anyone. The sheer massiveness of this place and the story attached with it is enough to make you visit this place. It's a wonder how people with no modern technology built such huge forts and it's still standing. The fort is open everyday. You can visit the fort at any time. The fort opens at 6 in the morning. You can buy an online ticket before hand if you like. But this place doesn't get that crowded so you can choose to opt for buying tickets at the counter also. It's rs 50 per person for Indians. If you want to know about the place in detail you can opt for guides. But bargain with them as the rates can be very steep at times. Being there makes you think about the historic events that have happened there.

Probably the best time to visit Agra fort is in the winter/Rainy season.
Agra being hot, you will not be able to enjoy this gem of a place.
Buy tickets online to avoid the queue and carry a water bottle or 2 because it is huge and might take you 3-4 hours just to see this place.
Parking facility was also available nearby

Shahi Jama Masjid in Agra is a grand mosque built by the Mughals, featuring a rectangular open forecourt constructed in 1648 A.D. The stunning architecture combines Iranian influences with red sandstone and white marble. It took 6 years and 5,000 workers to complete this masterpiece. Designed by Sheikh Salim Chisti, it follows traditional mosque layout with a central dome and large courtyard halls.
I recently had the privilege of visiting the iconic Jama Mosque in Agra, and I am still in awe of the majestic journey through history that this grand mosque offers. As one of India's most significant architectural marvels, the Jama Mosque is a must-visit destination for anyone exploring Agra's rich cultural heritage.
The first thing that struck me as I approached the mosque was its sheer size and grandeur. The imposing red sandstone walls, adorned with delicate white marble inlays, create a mesmerizing visual spectacle. The mosque's impressive central dome and the elegant minarets that flank it make for an unforgettable sight against the azure sky.
Stepping inside the mosque, I was captivated by its symmetrical layout and the meticulous attention to detail in every aspect of its design. The spacious courtyard, surrounded by imposing archways and stunning domes, exudes a sense of tranquility despite the bustling atmosphere of Agra outside.
The mosque's prayer hall, with its intricate marble jali work and beautiful calligraphy, is a sight to behold. It serves as a reverent place of worship for both locals and tourists, fostering an atmosphere of unity and devotion. Witnessing the prayers in this historic setting was a truly humbling experience.
Exploring the various chambers and courtyards of the mosque was like taking a step back in time. The exquisite Mughal architecture is a testament to the skill and craftsmanship of the artisans of that era. Every nook and cranny of Jama Mosque seemed to have a story to tell, connecting the present with the past in a seamless blend of art and history.
The mosque's location near the Agra Fort and the Taj Mahal makes it a convenient stop for tourists visiting these iconic landmarks. It provides a deeper understanding of Agra's cultural heritage and its significance during the Mughal era.
In addition to its historical importance, Jama Mosque is a lively hub of local life. It is a meeting place for the community, fostering a sense of togetherness among the people of Agra.
In conclusion, visiting Jama Mosque in Agra was an enriching experience that left me with a profound appreciation for India's architectural heritage. Its awe-inspiring beauty, historical significance, and spiritual ambiance make it a must-visit destination for travelers seeking to immerse themselves in the grandeur of the Mughal era. Whether you are a history enthusiast or someone seeking a moment of introspection, Jama Mosque in Agra is sure to leave a lasting impression on your heart and mind.

I walked for 20 minutes from Agra Fort to this mosque, said my prayer, cooled off and enjoyed the beauty of this rather less visited mosque. It was evident from the current state of the mosque that it gets less attention than Delhi Jama Masjid. But to me, it is equally beautiful, the ambience of the area, the little kids reciting the holy Quran at one corner, the shade of mosque in the scorching heat of the sun gave me such relief! But the interior should be maintained properly, the prayer mats were full of dust, flies were everywhere.. The concerned authority can look into it.

Jama Masjid at Agra also known as 'Friday Mosque' is a seventeenth-century structure and is one of the largest mosques built by the Mughals in India. Constructed under the reign of Shah Jahan in 1648, Jama Masjid is dedicated to his favourite daughter Jahan Ara Begum. This splendid monument is visible from the Agra Fort with the Agra Fort Railway station right between the two structures.
The Jama Masjid is built mainly of red sandstone and white marble that stand as a testimony to the magnificent Mughal architecture. It has a fountain at the centre and is supported by four kiosks in the courtyard. The interior walls have scriptures in the Persian style praising for Shah Jahan and Jahan Ara. The inlaid panels of work here are quite similar to that of Taj Mahal and are common to all the monuments and structures built by the Mughals in Agra. Every Friday, special prayers are conducted at this mosque which is attended by thousands of devotees. The Tomb of Salim Chisti is a part of the mosque compound.
Architecture of Jama Masjid
Jama Masjid is the second most visited place after in Agra after the Taj Mahal. A few steps high, it has various domes, out of which the prayer dome is the largest. Buland Darwaza is forty meters high and is built of red sandstone. It is semi-octagonal in pattern and contains three massive domes at the top. These domes are followed by three smaller domes and twelve tiny domes at lower levels.
The impressive arches at the courtyard are supported by pillars covered in red sandstone. The domes are decorated by an inverted lotus and are ornamented by a Kalash at the top. The designs on top of these domes are made of alternating stripes of marble and red sandstone. There is a Madrasa in the central courtyard, where small kids are taught Islamic language and culture. The interior walls have been made up of white marble singing the praise of the ruler in Persian inscriptions. Entry to the Jama Mosque is possible through five entrances. The gateway is embellished with small layers of sandstone. The Iwan (a rectangular hall walled on three sides) has a central arch with several geometric patterns.
History of Jama Masjid
The Jama Masjid was built by Shah Jahan for his favourite daughter Jahan Ara Begum. Its construction began in 1648 and took six years to complete with the efforts of five thousand workers. The mosque had a large open area in its front, known as the Tripoli Chowk. This octagonal chowk existed between Jama Masjid and the Delhi Gate of Agra Fort. However, this Chowk was destroyed during 1871-1873, to give room to Agra Fort Railway Station. The gateway otherwise known as the "Buland Darwaza" to the mosque was added after Shah Jahan's comprehensive victory in the Kandesh military campaign. A lot of the engravings are in Persian.

Built by Jahanara Begum, this mosque must have been a sight to behold from the Agra Fort in its heydays. Today flanked in front by the railway station, it has been surrounded from all sides along the boundry wall by shops. This kind of heritage is expected to be better looked after than this.
It is a fully functional mosque even today.

Jama Masjid: It was built by Shah Jahan opposite to the Red Fort in Delhi. Completed in 1656, the Jama Masjid is one of the largest and best known mosques in India. Some of its characteristics are these.
• It has three big gates, four towers and two minarets.
• The gateways in the North and South are led by a fleet of red sandstone steps.
• The main entrance to the East faces the Red Fort.
• The tower has five distinctive storeys. Each of the storeys has a projecting balcony.

The Agra Jama Masjid, nestled within the historic Agra Fort, offers a glimpse into the rich history of the Mughal Empire. Its proximity to the Agra Fort railway station makes it easily accessible to visitors. This magnificent mosque was crafted under the watchful eye of Jahanara Begum, the First Lady of the Mughal Empire, during the reign of her father, Emperor Shah Jahan.
Stepping into the mosque, one is awed by its grandeur and sheer size, earning it a place among India's largest mosques. The historical significance and breathtaking architecture make for an unforgettable experience. However, I couldn't help but notice that some parts of the mosque require maintenance to restore its former glory fully.
Despite the need for upkeep, the Agra Jama Masjid offers a captivating view into the past and remains a must-visit for history enthusiasts and travelers alike.
