It was one of the To do activities, if some one is visiting the Lansdowne. Without visiting this point the importance of Garhwali will not be known to everyone.
It tell the complete history to present how the tings started and how this place is developed to the history and geography of the Garhwali Regiment.
The write up, instrument, weapons, award been used are some of the marvelous things to be seen here.
Here one has to pay an entry ticket and then can see the complete details.

This museum is also called Darwan Singh Museum after a Garhwali regiment soldier who was one of the first to receive Victoria Cross, the most prestigious award which was given to British forces. It is maintained by army and is very well preserved. It invites an entry fee of Rs. 30 and the payment is only taken by a debit card swipe or cash in change. The museum collection got old pictures of various regiment officers, old paintings, old guns and launchers, even mortars which were used during world war times. Overall a good and worthy visit. Taking pictures inside is not allowed at all. Parking is available outside but it would be hard to find spots during peak tourist season.

Its located at a very beautiful & peaceful Cantonment area of Lansdowne in Pauri Garhwal, Uttarakhand. Though the museum is too small but consisting of war memorials of brave 'Garhwal Rifles Reginentals' which is,indeed, proud of our country.

One of the best army museum. This museum belong to Garhwal Rifles. Photography is not allowed in museum premises but you must visit this place once in your life time.

Lansdowne is a unique military station with Garhwal Rifles regimental center located there. The center has beautified this station enormously and made it an attraction for the tourists. The Garhwali museum is very well maintained in all respect with serene environment prevailing.

It was a great experience! Got to know about a lot of stuff. The museum is surrounded by flower gardens and attached to a training centre. As you enter, you will have to buy tickets and put your phones on DND mode or silence them. No photography will be allowed in the museum. After that you'll see old coins, guns, crockery, uniforms, writings etc from the garhwal regiment with information attached to them. A place for anyone who's genuinely interested in that sort of stuff.

A well maintained museum and a must visit place when in Lansdowne. Typically it is best to set aside 1-2 hours for this place. Ticket price was INR 20 in 2018. It majorly comprises of a collection of guns, weapons used in the war by the Garhwal Regiment. Some weapons used by other countries in war are also a part of the museum. It is closed on Wednesdays so plan you trip accordingly. Just outside the museum there is a very nice ground of the regiment and a nice sight in mornings and evenings.

✍️Patriotism at its best in Lansdowne🙏👍. This is the second Indian Army Museum we have visited after Jaisalmer. Head straight to this museum to get a first hand experience of the tremendous valor & strength of the Indian Army over the years in the various conflicts & wars gone by. U get to visualize the history behind the famed Garhwal Rifles Regiment origin and it's conquests. U r bound to get goosebumps at this museum. Added to this u get to view the Parade Ground & shooting range. Still 🤔....No way... simply include this in your itinerary & u will instantly get into a gala patriotic mood. Off course a complete dhinaku, dhin dhaa experience & full patriotic waala paisaa vasool experience. Yes sir, capturing pics not allowed and your 📸 will be confiscated, so beware. 😘🥳😎👍👍👍👍👍👌💯

Nice place to know about the Garhwali Regiment. Photos are not allowed to be clicked inside the Museum. It shows the history and the tools used during the war including the notes/currency/flags/cloths used at that time. One can completely visit this place in an Hour. Just in case if you have time constraints

Lansdowne Trip Travel Café is a charming spot with vibrant interiors and a retro feel of an old traditional Indian home. The café offers limited but fresh and delicious food options, including lip-smacking maggi. It's located near the old St. Mary's church, with limited parking space nearby. Visitors can enjoy both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes in this hidden gem of Lansdowne town.
The cafe is one of its kind. An inviting home kind, vintage artefacts which we can buy too, think of chelpark ink, kerosene lamps, sieves, coal iron ... And what not.Not to miss .. the half tissues. The locals are recruited here, trained, given employment and opportunities to learn something . The cafe is situated amidst hills and offers a wonderful view from all sides. The food is prepared fresh and served elegantly and with lot of warmth. And on top of that... The best is the philosophy of Shipra n Amit behind opening this cafe. Do experience the liveliness and tranquility of the Lansdowne trip travel cafe.

The cafe is on the hills of Lansdown and it offers wonderful view. A beautiful cafe with great food . Shipra and Amit has made this cafe very passionately and given it vintage look.many vintage things are there like old cameras, coins , house hold things , photographs, some handmade things , books and many many more . The locals are recruited here and you can feel the innocence of village in their behaviour , The cafe is eco friendly too and I love their handwriting menu .
Trip Travel cafe is so so beautiful and I love each and every corner of this cafe .
I have ordered grilled fish , cheese sandwiches and tea , it was awesome and I love it ,so next day I again visited there .
Chatting up with host Shipra gave us a good insight about their journey and place . She is a wonderful person and great host . Had an amazing time here and it was an experience. This cafe is Must visit place in Lansdown ❤️

This cafe is stunning with the hoards of vintage collections of all sorts, starting from national panasonic radios, old cameras, chairs to handicrafts and much more. You get handmade soaps, flags etc.. As you can see in the pictures and videos I have shared here, it’s a beauty. It is at a nice location where there is only this cafe at that nook.
You can easily locate it by reaching the St.Mary’s Church and cafe is nearby but in a standalone position.
Food is decent in taste. Chicken burger patty was yum. Quantity is bit lesser though. Affogato I tried from here was not up to the mark. But in such a beautiful spot, an even beautiful cafe with that ambience is wow. There’s a good view through glass as you see in pics. However, when you sit, view is less. If you stand, you can watch.
You can buy many things from here. Landsdowne Market is not great and to be frank a local market like anywhere and you have no options to purchase there. You can buy some amusing stuff here.
Anne Mariya Baby — Google review
One of the finest art collections in a cafe. Run by a couple who take pride in what they do. They take orders slowly and expect you to wait for good taste. Sit back and enjoy the ir art collection.
Would recommend either going earlier than peak hours or do a pre-book - Mostly tables get full.
Lovely ambience. Food is good too.

Lovely ambience…on top of a hill…the look and feel is calming….though the food menu is limited with decent taste…nothing out of the world. It’s a cafe that supports sustainability and hence doesn’t use plastic bottles or straws…liked the vibe with some rustic n old stuff as part of the decor…the owners can be friendlier for us to relate to their story n journey…found them quite curt both of them!

This cafe on a hilltop is the best place you'll go to in Lansdowne.
The views outside are so beautiful. The decor inside is to die for. The food and drinks add to the experience. And, the hosts- absolutely lovely people.
The cafe is about a 30 minutes walk from the Garhwali museum/town market. Straightforward. Just next to St. Mary's Church. If you can endure a walk on the hills, do it. It's worth the little bit of labor. Otherwise, you can take a car or scooty up there. The roads are safe.
We loved the baked minced chicken. Must-try!
They have books- first editions -and a pretty good collection too. They also have locally produced products (pickles, little woven things) so you can do a bit of shopping.
We talked to Shipra and loved her energy. If you get a chance, strike a conversation.
Always check for vacancy beforehand. The cafe is popular and may be booked for the evening.

An honest attempt to have eco-friendly environment.
It is a cafe that is surrounded by art, culture, tradition and great food. To top it all the most amazing hosts Shipra and Amit!!
People visiting Lansdowne, Trip- Travel Cafe is a must visit!!

This is a hidden gem of a food place in Lansdowne town which has seriously quite less options of good food. The place gives you a rustic old look with old fashioned window glass panes. Food got limited options but they make it fresh and it tastes really good. Overall a refreshing new experience to be at place. The place is near to old St. Mary's church and hardly any parking space. So I would suggest to find a parking spot nearby and just walk to this place. Both veg and non veg options available.

Well maintained, cosy place with lots of artifacts to spend time with. Scenic location. Good food. Desserts are average. They don't have wifi, so if you're planning to work from there, ensure you have an airtel or bsnl connection, as other networks don't have coverage in this area.

I recently stumbled upon a hidden gem in the hills of Lansdowne, Uttarakhand—a charming cafe that left me enchanted! With its breathtaking location and eco-friendly practices, it was truly a delightful experience.
Nestled amidst nature's beauty, this cafe was a sight to behold. Its tasteful decor, adorned with antique treasures, created an ambiance that transported me to a bygone era. And the best part? Many of these exquisite items were available for purchase, adding a touch of antiquity to my visit.
As an Instagram lover, I couldn't have asked for a better backdrop. Every corner of the cafe was a visual treat, perfect for capturing stunning photos. From the rustic furniture to the intricate details, it was a paradise for those seeking Instagram-worthy shots.
What impressed me even more was the cafe's commitment to sustainability. It was heartwarming to see their eco-friendly practices in action. The cafe took great strides in minimizing waste and eliminating the use of plastic. It was refreshing to enjoy a meal knowing that my dining experience was in harmony with the environment.
The friendly owners and staff added to the cafe's charm. Their warm hospitality and genuine care made me feel like a valued guest. It's always a pleasure to interact with passionate individuals who take pride in their eco-conscious establishment.
Now, let's talk about the food—the icing on the cake! The menu featured a tantalizing array of dishes, catering to various tastes. From local specialties to international delights, each bite was a burst of flavors. It was evident that the chefs infused their creations with love and attention, resulting in a memorable culinary experience.
In summary, this hilltop oasis in Lansdowne is a must-visit. Its stunning location, enchanting decor, eco-friendly practices, and delectable food make it a standout destination. Whether you're seeking natural beauty, Instagrammable moments, or a guilt-free dining experience, this cafe has it all. Don't miss out on this wonderful slice of paradise!

We had a wonderful experience in the café. Even though we reached the café without pre-booking (tip: please pre-book), the owner of the café was nice enough to accommodate us. We fell short of the things that we liked: the food, the ambience, the set-up and the staff. We saw one of the most beautiful views of Lansdowne from the windows of the café. Then, we ordered honey ginger lemon teas, chai, nachos, pasta and burger. The food was simply delicious. The café was filled with antiques and books, leaving us delighted. The owner was wonderful to talk to and told us about the history of the place and they their endeavor was to make sure that all their customers "experience" Lansdowne, when they visit them. They certainly exceeded our expectations. Make sure to visit this wonderful café (with pre-booking) when you are in Lansdowne next.

Beautiful restaurant and great food as well. Had non-veg platter, fish & chips, and sandwich with tea & coffee. All items were delicious. The location is great and so many novelty items to see in the restaurant itself. Tastefully and artfully decorated, spent more time than usual in a restaurant going through the numerous little antique and curiosity items.

This cafe is literally the ideal place if you want to have really good food with a great view of Himalayas in peace.
It welcomes you with really beautiful antic collections and organically made produce like jams , pickles etc. and also offers you to buy them as well.
The host of the cafe are also really warm when they meet their guests.
This is a must visit in Lansdowne, to have a unique experience with eco-friendly service as well.
Must try on menu - cold coffee, pink sauce pasta.

A restaurant with a great vibe and delicious food.
It is located near St. Mary's Church and the nearest hotel is tip and top.
Loved the non veg mexican wrap.
The prices are a bit on the higher side and parking space might be a problem.
Hand washing station and the toilets could be improved.

The unspoilt cantonment town of Landsdowne doesn't have many eating joints. And that is a good thing because the town remains unspoilt. And that's why this small, quaint joint at the edge of the mountains blends into the ambience and adds to it. Scenic, comfortable and tastefully done up, the food is well prepared, reasonably priced and tasty. It is a delight for someone who appreciates the simple but meaningful things in life.

RMWJ+7R8, Near Saint Mary's Church, Lansdowne, Uttarakhand 246155, India
St. Mary's Church in Lansdowne is a serene Protestant church established in 1896 by Col. A.H.B Hume of the Royal Engineers. The church now serves as a museum showcasing multimedia exhibits on local military history, including a picture gallery and a 10 minute documentary on the histories of both Lansdowne and Garhwal Rifles Regimental Centre. Located near Tip-In-Top hill point, it offers free entry to visitors on weekends only.
This church is filled with peace and tranquility. It was built in the 18th century. Earlier a video of the brave Garhwal Regiments were often shown for 10mins by a projecter film. But now it's discontinued due to covid norms I guess. Surrounding the church is pine forest which keeps the temperature inside the church cool and soothing to some extent.
Kalpan Chaudhury — Google review
It's a really small old church which is I would say not maintained really well how it should be. It has been converted to a museum now. You will find a little description board about some history of the church and inside the church walls, you will find some old pictures during British era when some marriages happened during that time. This church in one the way to one of few tourist spots and so you can stop by and spend few minutes here.

St. Mary's Church, Lansdowne
Entry Fee: None. We got the free entry.
Visited on Saturday. It was open for all.
Location: At a distance of 2.5 km from Lansdowne Market. Near Tip-In-Top hill point of Lansdowne.
St. Mary's Church was built by Col. A.H.B Hume of the Royal Engineers. Construction of this Church began in 1895 and was completed in 1896. (I have covered a brief history in the photos).
This church was closed after 1947 and was later converted into a museum by the Garhwal Rifles Regimental Centre.
This Church has a picture gallery and a short 10 minute documentary on history of Lansdowne and Garhwal Rifles is played.
Note: It is open only on the weekends.

This a church which is at a walkable distance from Tip n Top view point. The walking distance is not much so one can go both in summers and winters weather. Church is not very big and is also very old which makes it more attractive and peaceful. It’s all green around this church 360 degree just greenery.

No entry ticket. You can visit within the operational hours any time. And read about the church you will be astonished to know some facts. You can walk the distance from Lansdowne market or take a cab but enjoy the trail and choose to walk. If you are walking and visiting around evening be sure you are back to market before sunset to beware of wild animals. The church itself is beautifully built. Also ring the bell at entry and enjoy the moment. I don’t know if washrooms are available at this place.

Lansdowne, located in the Uttarakhand state of India, is a serene hill station with a rich history dating back to the British Raj. The town was established as a military garrison and is home to the Garhwali Museum, which showcases the legacy of the Garhwal Rifles regiment. Visitors can explore colonial-era St. Mary’s Church and take in breathtaking views from Tip-n-Top viewpoint.

Or just for the sake to covering this place you can go and visit. Its your choice

This is one of the good points to overlook of the Himalayan range on the clear days you can also see the snow covered peaks. It is also a good picnic spot. There is small parking area available here for I think you have to pay 20inr. Good place to take pictures.

You can a beautiful view of the valley and mighty Himalayas from this view point. Good thing is, you got a parking space which is chargeable and view point is hardly 100-150 meteres from the parking. It invites a 20 Rs. entry ticket which is really nominal. Food options are existing inside the compound but are quite limited. Good place to spend half an hour here if the weather in clear for a perfect view.

Otherwise, the place is good for the weekend

One can visit in the early morning if visiting in winters to feel the both of light breeze and sunshine. If you are visiting on weekends please don’t expect entry till 5pm. I went on weekends and they closed the entry at 4pm due to crows for boating. The cost is around 150/- per person. You can do boating, ride on giant swing, do archery, jump on trampoline, and many other activities. There’s a cafe inside the premises and washrooms are also available inside the premises. Just visit an hour early before closing time to avoid rush as there is no ticket just for entry and you might end up paying full amount without boating

A Good calm place to spend quality time with loved ones, but the entry fee which is 150 per head is not reasonable. There is nothing as such which we have to pay for. You can hang around and if you wanna go inside take a ticket before 5:00 pm. There are pedal boats available too and you can use them to have fun in the pond. Overall a good option in Lansdowne.

Its a beautiful place under the Army's control. This is a small but beautiful park and has a small lake inside. The lake has paddle boats for ride. Cost of the ticket for entry to the park includes the boat ride as well. However, boating is not allowed while its raining. There is a canteen along side. The canteen provided snacks, food items and beverages at a comparatively reasonably price.

1. The place is serene and has a peaceful environment which can make you instantly lose all your anxiety and depression. The connectivity with your history and culture is something I have admired.
2. There is no discrimination for anyone either for language, caste, religion or gender. Everyone can visit and be a part of a peaceful journey.
3. The rules here are strict. Something I am really fond of. If rules are not strict people try to break them and do whatever they feel is right. This is not the case here.
4. Minimal or no fees for major activities especially food. There is a big hall where food gets served without any charges. You can take the prasad and you won't be required to eat anything else. However, there is also a canteen in case you want to try that.
5. Meditation rooms
6. Temples
7. Water facility
8. Washroom facility
9. Library
10. There is also a 15 minute meditation break for everyone. I was there at 6 pm and the session started from 6 to 6:15 pm.
11. Valuable life lessons everywhere.
12. Education institute
13. Medical facility
And much more. The more time you spend there the less it feels.

The Mansa Devi Temple is a beautiful and sacred Hindu pilgrimage site located on a hill in Haridwar, Uttarakhand.
To reach the temple, visitors can take a trolley ride from the base of the hill. The trolley service is operated by the temple management and is the most convenient way to reach the top.
The ticket price for the trolley is 130 rupees per person for a round trip (up and down). This is a reasonable price for the service provided, given the distance and elevation of the temple.
However, during peak season or on weekends, the wait time for the trolley can be quite long. In the case of the reviewer, they had to wait for around one hour for their turn to ride the trolley.
The trolley ride itself is an exciting experience, as it offers panoramic views of the city and the surrounding hills. The journey takes around 15-20 minutes, depending on the crowds and weather conditions.

It's an important temple for Hindus and locals have a lot of faith in it. People go here to tie a red thread as a wish and once the wish comes true they go back and open the thread. There are three ways to reach it, one by steps (800+) and the other one by the trolley ride for those who can't climb and the third via a Trek. I would recommend the Trek. Its an easy one plus offers excellent views of the plains below. Also visit at the earliest possible hour to avoid crowds. It can be a very busy place.

Inside, there's a statue of Goddess Mansa Devi, who is believed to grant people's wishes.
What makes this temple even more interesting is how you can get to it. There's a cable car system, like a small cabin that takes you up to the temple. This is great because it helps people of all ages visit the temple, and it gives you an amazing view of Haridwar and the river Ganges.

This is a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, located in the city of Haridwar in Uttar Pradesh. It is particularly popular during the Mahashivratri festival, which is celebrated with great fervour and festivity. The temple is especially noted for its colourful architecture and rich decorations.

There are lots of Dharamshala situated in the vicinity. The compound is very big and lighting during evening is very beautiful. Much less crowded than Har Ki Pauri

The Daksha Mahadev temple is popular among devotees due to its association with an interesting legend. Hindus believe that it is here that King Daksha had performed yagna. It is here that Sati burnt herself as she came to know about the insult done to her husband (he was not invited to the yagna). When Lord Shiva got the news, he took the life of King Daksha. However, Lord Shiva returned the life of Daksha later. So, the Daksha Mahadev temple is a reminder of this interesting legend and is regarded in high esteem by Hindus. The temple is built by queen of Dhankaur in 1810 CE.
If you are traveling to Haridwar, you can never miss visiting the Daksha Temple as it occupies a significant place in the Hindu mythology.

Visiting the famous Daksh Temple was an awe-inspiring experience that left a lasting impression on me. As soon as I stepped foot into this historic temple, I could sense the profound significance it holds.
The temple's architectural grandeur and intricate craftsmanship are nothing short of breathtaking. Every detail, from the ornate carvings to the majestic pillars, speaks volumes about the skill and dedication of the craftsmen who built it.
Walking through the temple's hallowed halls, I felt a deep sense of reverence and tranquility. The serene atmosphere and the subtle aroma of incense added to the spiritual ambiance. It was a privilege to witness the rituals and traditions that have been preserved for centuries.
The temple's historical and cultural significance cannot be overstated. Its walls echo with stories of the past, and its artifacts offer glimpses into the rich heritage of the region.
I was particularly struck by the temple's spiritual essence. Whether observing devotees in prayer or meditating in its peaceful surroundings, I felt a profound connection to something greater than myself. The temple serves as a sanctuary for both locals and visitors seeking solace, reflection, and a deeper understanding of the divine.

It's one of the best place to visit on the banks of Maa Ganga in Kankhal, Haridwar. If anyone is visiting Haridwar Or Rishikesh then one should consider it without having any doubt in mind.. It's the birth, marriage & death place of Maa Sati.. Good enough parking space & also it is located just at a distance of around 5km from the main delhi-haridwar highway.. Anyone who wants peace then it's the right place.. ***Keep our environment CLEAN and GREEN***SAVE SOIL***

The temple is a beautiful place with the environment offering peace and tranquility. It is primarily famous due to the story that this was the same place where goddess Sati burnt herself by jumping into the fire, and the same kund, as they call it, is also revered and worshipped here. The temple area is divided into various parts, and almost all the important Hindu deities are worshipped at this place. However, it is clearly stated that clicking photos inside the temple premises is strictly prohibited.
The area behind the temple is serene. There is a ghat built where people perform puja. You can also sit and relax since the water flowing is soothing to watch, and dipping your feet in it helps you calm down due to the cool temperature. But overall, this place is worth the visit partly due to its importance in the Hindu scriptures and also because of the aura the area has of making you feel calm and composed !!!!

Named after King Daksh and has a great history from the mythology. The present temple was built by Queen Dhankaur in 1810 and rebuilt in 1962. It is a place of pilgrimage for Shaivaite devotees on Maha Shivaratri.
There was ample parking outside the temoke the moving queue that made the darshan pleasant during the visit. You might want to be cognizant of certain times of the month (Including masik Shivratri, Pradosh) to plan accordingly.
Don't miss the Shitla Mata Mandir behind the main temple which is the birth place of Sati Mata.

The ancient temple of Daksha Mahadev also known as Daksheshwar Mahadev Temple, is situated in the south Kankhal town in Haridwar.
This temple of Lord Shiva is named after King Daksha Prajapati, father of Sati.
A ghat is available there where one can dip themselves before puja...
The present temple was built by Queen Dhankaur in 1810 and rebuilt in 1962.
As mentioned in the Mahabharata and other texts of Hinduism, King Daksha Prajapati, the father of Sati, Shiva's first wife, performed yajna at the place where the temple is situated. Although Sati felt insulted when her father did not invite Shiva to the ritual, she attended the yajna. She found that Shiva was being spurned by her father and she burnt herself in the Yajna Kunda itself. Shiva got angry and sent his Gaṇas, the terrible Virabhadra and Bhadrakali to the ritual.[3] On the direction of Shiva, Virabhadra appeared with Shiva's ganas in the midst of Daksha's assembly like a storm wind and waged a fierce war with the gods and mortals present culminating in the beheading of Daksha, who was later given the head of a goat at the behest of Brahma and other gods.
If you are traveling to Haridwar, you can never miss visiting the Daksha Temple as it occupies a significant place in the Hindu mythology.

also known as Daksheswar Mahadev Temple, is a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva It derives its name from King Daksha Prajapati, who organized a grand yajna where his daughter Sati self-immolated due to insult. Enraged by Sati's sacrifice, Lord Shiva sent Virabhadra to behead Daksha, who was later given a goat's head by Brahma. The present temple was built in 1810 CE by Queen Dhankaur and rebuilt in 1962, serving as a pilgrimage site for Shaivaite devotees, especially during Maha Shivaratri. The temple's story symbolizes devotion, family bonds, and the consequences of disrespecting divine beings, emphasizing humility and reverence.

The Daksh prajapati temple or Daksheshwar mahadev temple is located about 4 kms from Haridwar railway station, Haridwar. The temple is beautifully built and is dedicated to lord Shiva. It is believed that this is the very place where mata sati set herself in yajna fire. There is a statue of lord shiv and sati in the temple campus dedicated to this legend.
The temple was first built by Queen of Dhankaur in 1810 and then renovated to this in 1960s.
According to the shiv mahapuran, Daksh prajapati the father of mata Sati performed a Yajna in which he invited every one except lord Shiva. Mata sati got angry with it and felt insulted for her husband. She set herself on yajna fire to death. When lord Shiva came to know this event he got ferociously angry and beheaded daksha prajapati. He took the body of mata sati and roam the universe. To put the end his sorrow lord Vishnu cut mata sati's body into 52 pieces where ever they drop is refered as Shaktipeeth.

Very well structured for civilians(neighborhood) , specially in the evening they spend time with nature because the garden is full of trees and open gym for children. The water shower (phabbara) attract the people. But if you are going there for something new you will get nothing but a water shower ( without any music just water flow) surrounded by many trees that you have seen in the park. In addition to every person have to give 20 rs per head charge without any receipt I think that is not reasonable. I spent half an hour in the park so the amount was high, if you spend a whole day then you can afford this money. So this is what I feel.

The Church was built by Begum Samru, a Muslim Nautch girl of 14 who married a European mercenary soldier Walter Reinhardt Sombre. Samru converted to Roman Catholicism in 1781 and adopted the name Joanna Nobilis. She is regarded as the only Catholic ruler in India, and ruled the Principality of Sardhana in 18th and 19th century. The Church is the largest in North India.

Visited the Basilica of Our Lady with my son. Its closeby Meerut. Better not to refer to Google maps as it gives complicated route at times. Just stop by and ask for directions time to time as its a comparatively straight road from Meerut.
About the Basilica- So very well maintained. One word for it is - Peace. I loved the ambience, the lush green lawns , the beautiful statues decorating the pathway to the church.
The place is very neat and clean.
The washrooms are neat and clean.
The Church - The entry is free for those who wish to pray. I offered a box of candles in the church. You can even drop a petition in the boxes provided in the church. It is said that your complaints are heard and wish are granted here.
The Basilica dates back to 1805 and still holds its charm. Its a real marvel in Sardhana. Begum Samru's statue is also in the church. If you are visiting Sardhana or Meerut , do visit this place too as it is one of the best Basilicas in India.
You can buy medals and candles from outside the church. Although there are no eating stalls around.
Take care of keeping the place neat and tidy. Do not litter as i saw some people throwing the box of candles here and there.
I visited this place after almost 37 years and its remarkable to see how well it is maintained.

Dedicated to Lord Shiva, this Hindu temple is located in the Cantonment area of the city and is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Meerut. It is the place where the great revolt of India’s independence in 1857 started. The history of this temple in Meerut is little known. However, it is said that at this temple, the Maratha rulers used to perform the pilgrimage on auspicious occasions making it a significant place of worship in the city. It was good.
Have very few malls i believe in Meerut City, so it is a good place ro visit with your kids.
Not very much crowded.
Have good options to dine in
Have multiplex
Is kids friendly - you get car ride, aeroplane ride, a ballon slider, high jumping with harness rope, few more things to keep them indulged.
Quite expensive though, still a good pick to go and enjoy with your kids.
Shopping wise can't say, haven't entered any yet, will post next time about it 😊

For entertainment purpose it is an awesome place to go but there are some restrictions you have to either wear nylon fabric clothes or you have to buy the costumes from their only. 'Akshardham' means the divine abode of God. It is hailed as an eternal place of devotion, purity and peace. Swaminarayan Akshardham at New Delhi is a Mandir – an abode of God, a Hindu house of worship, and a spiritual and cultural campus dedicated to devotion, learning and harmony. Timeless Hindu spiritual messages, vibrant devotional traditions and ancient architecture all are echoed in its art and architecture. The mandir is a humble tribute to Bhagwan Swaminarayan (1781- 1830), the avatars, devas and great sages of Hinduism. The traditionally-styled complex was inaugurated on 6 November 2005 with the blessings of HH Pramukh Swami Maharaj and through the devoted efforts of skilled artisans and volunteers.
Each element of Akshardham echoes with spirituality – the Mandir, the Exhibitions and even the Gardens.
The Akshardham mandir has over two hundred murtis, representing many of the spiritual stalwarts over many millennia. The spiritual premise of Akshardham is that each soul is potentially divine. Whether we are serving the family, the country our neighbors or all living beings the world over , each service can help one move towards divinity. Each prayer is a call towards improving oneself and moving closer to God.
A visit to Akshardham is a spiritually enriching experience. Whether it is in realising the power of prayer, in feeling the strength of non-violence, in being aware of the universal nature of Hinduism’s ancient principles, or just in admiring the beauty of God’s abode on Earth – each element has a spiritual significance.
Facts and Figure:
Opened 6th November 2005
Constructed by Bochasanwasi Shri Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha (BAPS)
Inspired by HH Yogiji Maharaj (1892-1971 CE)
Created by His Holiness Pramukh Swami Maharaj
More than 300,000,000 volunteer hours went into making the complex
Over 8,000 volunteers from across the world participated in building it
Mandir built from intricately carved sandstone and marble
Exhibitions on Hinduism, including Bhagwan Swaminarayan's life and teachings such as prayer, compassion, and non-violence.
Open gardens, water bodies and step-well styled courtyard.
Nitish Bhatt — Google review
The temple was officially opened on 6 November 2005 by Pramukh Swami Maharajin the presence of Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam, Manmohan Singh, L.K Advani and B.L Joshi. The temple, at the centre of the complex, was built according to the Vastu shastra and Pancharatra shastra.
In Akshardham Delhi, similar to its predecessor Akshardham Gandhinagar, Gujarat, the main shrine is the focal point and maintains the central position of the entire complex. There are various exhibition halls which provide information about the life and work of Swaminarayan. The designers of the complex have adopted contemporary modes of communication and technology to create the various exhibition halls.
The complex features an Abhisheka Mandap, Sahaj Anand water show, a thematic garden and three exhibitions namely Sahajanand Darshan (Hall of Values), Neelkanth Darshan (an IMAX film on the early life of Swaminarayan as the teenage yogi, Neelkanth), and Sanskruti Darshan (cultural boat ride). According to Swaminarayan Hinduism, the word Akshardham means the abode of almighty Lord Swaminarayan and believed by followers as a temporal home of God on earth.
Biswajeet Chakraborty — Google review
Well this is the India's second largest temple, & asia's third largest temple around the world. Apart from this basic general knowledge, the good thing is entry is free but only for the "darshan" When it comes to shows, you have to pay for that, where the light/fountain show is most recommended if you are not opting for full package show ticket. Phone/Camera/Bags are not allowed inside temple, so make sure you keep in your car or either you can keep them in locker room which is also free to access.
Keep in mind, if you are going in rush hour then put our items/goods in your car/own space which will save your time in standing in queue.
Akshardham Temple or Swaminarayan Akshardham Complex is a prestigious fascination in Delhi and it gloats its profound and social exercises spreading over the city. The mind boggling invites you to comprehend and break down the conventional Hindu and Indian culture, deep sense of being and design. Being a standout amongst the most went by vacation spots in Delhi, the sanctuary has magnificence and dynamic quality, amazing by whatever else. The banks of the excellent Yamuna River in eastern Delhi offer space to the complex and the development was by the Vastu Shastra and Pancharatra Shastra.

An amazing beautiful peaceful temple.
Must visit place if you are in New Delhi.
Metro station also there and is just 100 meter apart.
Akshardham is really beautiful the main temple is really beautifully crafted. The outer architecture is beautiful and also the inner marbel architecture was more than beautiful. The roof of the main temple is just amazing. The best and the most beautiful part is the main temple where the colors are too good.
Note :- You can not take your phone 📱, camera 📷, so you have to stand in the queue to summit them in the cloak room. Secure cloak room 5/5.
After the cloak room there is a security check which will be done in a minute you just have to remove your wallet and belt and that's it they will check you and let you pass.
Strong security check.

The architecture is undoubtedly breathtaking and this place is worth a visit. However the staff is rude, timings of rides and events are not mentioned correctly on the website and not allowing purses or phones inside is incomprehensible. Why should we be asked to return or have to leave our valuables insecurely in cabs. Why not be transparant and allow cellphones. And what harm can purses and bags do...just use security measures. Even airports allow bags, so why shouldn't this place!!!

The Red Fort, located in Old Delhi, India, is a 17th-century Mughal fortress made of red sandstone. It was the main residence of the Mughal Emperors and was commissioned by Emperor Shah Jahan in 1638. The fort's design is credited to Ustad Ahmad Lahori, who also built the Taj Mahal.
A Must Visit place in Delhi, feels like going back in time and watching history come to life. Do remember this is not a spot for a quick visit, you need a whole day to properly visit all the monuments inside.

With the beautiful gardens and the grandeur of the halls, the pathways, the market inside...you need a whole day to entirely have a visit around. We even went to the architectural exhibition 'Biennele' which was like a cherry on top. With so many paintings, artifacts displayed around, you really feel proud of the country you are living in...!

This is a must visit to get a feel about history. The place is vast and has a decent exhibition which shows various exhibits, photographs and storyline about British occupation and their tyranny. The struggle for independence, particularly the 1857 struggle is nicely depicted
It would have been good if the authorities can provide audio guides in foreign langauges which can make it really interesting
The overall place could be maintained better with more signboards and explanations

It's a good place. It is better from outside rather than inside as per my opinion. The whole area is hugh and it took us 2-3 hours to cover the whole area. Better purchase the tickets online as it is cheaper and also no waiting in queues. Most of the archaeological sites I have visited in Delhi it is the most maintained maybe due to it's importance during the independence day speech. Connectivity with metro is incredible as it is within 50 metres from the Lal quila metro station. Will visit this place again but this time with better treking boots and better weather preferably winters.

Last time in 2013, I was here and so excited to explore the monument.. and really enjoyed it.
Now It's a long time, and still amazing to explore such a beauty.

Best time to visit for photography, obviously day time but but to feel the beauty visit after sunset or during sunset.

Great place with rich in history & historical moments clearly visible on the old walls of the great red fort of Delhi. There are 2 museums as well to go and revisit our independence war, few ancient items etc. However, I personally felt that the place is not well maintained and after some time one tend to feel bored as it doesn't offer much things to see. Best part of being in red fort is the market around it (Chandni Chowk obviously). Just one suggestion to the caretakers of the red fort would be to maintain this legendary place and please update your online ticketing platform. All in all its a highly recommended place to visit from my side.

There are 2 museums that shows our independence war memories and few ancient items etc. There is a shopping street where you can purchase decorative items and ornaments too but the price is little bit high as compare to other markets. Ticket price is ₹80 per person with museum and ₹50 per person without meusum. Overall good experience.

I Spend almost 2 hour inside of it. It's a historical place which would create excitement inside of us. It's a wonderful place and the technology to build it is very unique. The most interesting thing is without machinery the Quila is built which still exists in its original condition. You can book tickets by scanning the QR code and the ticket will be sent to the given mobile number. One will get a discount on the ticket if you book tickets online. I suggest go for online tickets and save your money.

There are many small shop inside the fort where you can buy lots of beautiful showpiece.

Obviously the experience can't be narrated by the words, just go and experience it.......
Note: Avoid weekends because of heavy crowd. Don't forget to visit the museums. Have ample time to explore everything with the breaks and bring something to boost your energy because the campus is toooo big to explore fully.

Great monument to see in Delhi. First place you can go to see if you are in Delhi. Prefer going at evening for best atmosphere. Entry fee is there. Can book tickets outside by scanning qr code to avoid waiting. Bags are not allowed inside so you have to submit at the entry. Once you enter the Fort. Inside its beautiful to watch the small city and get lost into that era. Inside you can see some museums for which different tickets are there. It will take 2 hrs to explore all the red fort from inside. As it is one of the important monument it is always crowded

Visited on last day of the year 2023.
There was large queue for buying tickets and entry .
At front entry there is a big gate with 2 Big canon , and it is a big attraction for children.
After moving forward you will find couple of shops selling items which is authorised by Gov. But I found them a little bit expansive.
After entering inside you will see some small buildings which are built there . It looks like a big park with some buildings .And most part of them is closed for public so which made it less interesting to watch . You can see them from outside only.
A interesting place that I found was the chair of king where they use to listen to their public.
Also there are museum there which mostly contains pictures showcase which I don’t find interesting and it also requires extra ticket . Other than that there are also option of video gallery where they show you shows and other things which also require 100 Rs for indian Tickets which i again didn’t find interesting.
Other than that you will not see any thing unique.
My suggestion-
A good place to visit with family and children to spent time also if someone is very historic can visit there.
Also Try to avoid taking bags if not required, they will ask to submit it which will taken a lot of time.
Also there is option to purchase tickets online so please use that option to avoid long queue.

Netaji Subhash Marg, Lal Qila, Chandni Chowk, New Delhi, Delhi, 110006, India
Chandni Chowk, located in the heart of Old Delhi, is a bustling shopping area filled with markets offering a variety of goods such as spices, dried fruits, silver jewelry, and colorful saris. The narrow side streets are lined with small shops selling essential oils, stationery, and traditional Indian sweets. Nearby attractions include the expansive Red Fort which now houses a museum complex and the impressive 17th-century Jama Masjid mosque.
The Humayun's Tomb, built in the 16th century by Haji Begum for Mughal emperor Humayun, is a symmetrical complex of gardens and marble buildings with an arched facade. The structure follows strict rules of Islamic geometry, emphasizing the number 8. The building and gardens are stunningly well proportioned and float above their symmetrical gardens.

India Gate, located at the eastern end of Raj Path in New Delhi, is a grand triumphal arch that serves as a war memorial for Indian soldiers who lost their lives in World War I. Designed by renowned architect Edward Lutyens and inaugurated in 1921, it commemorates over 70,000 Indian soldiers who perished during the war. The monument also honors more than 13,500 British and Indian soldiers killed in the Afghan war of 1919.
Lovely lighting at night. Reading the names of the soldiers who laid down their lives and explaining the same to kids generates a patriotic feeling! Just near the India Gate is the National War Museum, which is beautifully made. Again, reading all the names of the soldiers who laid down their lives for our country stresses the need for peace. A thoughtful place, and it leaves a mark on your heart.

Connaught Place, located in New Delhi, is a bustling commercial and financial center surrounded by elegant Georgian-style buildings housing global chain stores, vintage cinemas, bars, and Indian restaurants. Visitors can explore Janpath Market's stalls selling saris, embroidered bags, and trinkets or visit the tranquil Sikh temple Gurdwara Bangla Sahib with its reflective pool. The 1700s observatory Jantar Mantar features enormous astronomical instruments.
The Lotus Temple, also known as the Bahá’í House of Worship, is a religious site that opened in 1986 and welcomes people of all religions. This distinctive place of worship in South Delhi resembles India's national flower with its ethereal marble construction. The temple's nine overlapping walls enclose a single cavernous interior space, reflecting the Bahai Temples' practice of being open to all.
The Lotus Temple in Delhi is a remarkable architectural marvel and a symbol of unity and peace.
The temple is not only a visual delight but also a place of spiritual significance. It welcomes people from all backgrounds, religions, and beliefs to meditate, pray, or simply find solace in its serene environment. The central hall, devoid of religious icons or images, promotes a sense of unity and oneness among visitors.
Surrounded by lush green gardens and pools, the Lotus Temple provides a serene escape from the bustling city of Delhi. Its unique design, inclusive philosophy, and peaceful ambiance make it a must-visit attraction for both tourists and those seeking a moment of tranquility in the heart of the capital city. However, it's essential to be respectful of the temple's rules and maintain the silence and serenity that define this sacred space.

Very beautiful and peaceful place...... Garden around the temple is a treat for the eyes ❤️ . Although be watchful for the timings or you will have to wait in long queue.
1. Don't bring FOOD, you cannot take food inside.
2.Visit in morning hours, you will enjoy everything more comfortably as for evening times there is a lot of rush and heat.
3. Don't disobey instructions....as for my experience staff is very rude and their way of correcting you will not be very good.
4. Watch for kids...They may get lost in the crowd as i have seen with my own eyes
5.It is a temple of peace but their is a huge rush of visitors that you are rarely going to experience any ☮️ peace.

This is a beautiful place and I really love going there but infrequently ofcourse because massive crowd is there all the time. Though I really appreciate the work authorities have done to keep the place cleaned and hygienic but it would be nice to have a ticket to go in so that we can help the temple grow. Lets say maybe 10 rupees so that everyone can afford it. Our small contributions can make it grow better and help them who puts our efforts to keep this place best. That idea can help creating a proper queue so that people can come in line.
Its just an idea but ill leave them for them to decide.
Overall above good.

Before going inside the Lotus temple, a bag is given on which you have to keep your footwear and after coming out of the temple you have to return that bag, I liked this method very much. The purpose of making Lotus temple was that people of all religions should come here, sit and meditate peacefully and pray. There is a big prayer meet inside the temple where you can sit and meditate for as long as you want.

The Lotus Temple, located in Delhi, India, is a remarkable architectural masterpiece and a symbol of unity and spirituality. I had the privilege of visiting this awe-inspiring structure, and it left a lasting impression on me.
The Lotus Temple's design, resembling a blooming lotus flower, is simply breathtaking. The white marble exterior is immaculate and stands out against the lush green surroundings. It's not just a place of worship but also a work of art.
Upon entering, you're welcomed by a serene atmosphere and a sense of tranquility. What makes this place unique is that it's open to people of all religions and beliefs, emphasizing the universality of spiritual quest.
The temple encourages silence and reflection, making it a peaceful oasis in the bustling city of Delhi. It's a place where you can sit, meditate, or simply enjoy the stunning architecture.
The only minor downside is the crowd, as it's a popular tourist attraction. However, it's a testament to the temple's significance and beauty.
In summary, the Lotus Temple is a must-visit for anyone traveling to Delhi. It's a testament to the power of architecture, spirituality, and inclusivity, and it offers a truly peaceful and inspiring experience.

I expected serene and peaceful atmosphere but instead I got huuuuuge crowds, first queue to enter the grounds and second queue to enter the temple itself. Maybe because it was Sunday afternoon. There is only one path that's not restricted so crowds have nowhere to disperse and you can't just walk around the grounds. Inside of the temple is a nice and quiet but nothing special from architectural point of view. From the outside the design is very interesting though

The Lotus temple is a secular place of worship and contemplation. The entry is free for all which makes this a popular tourist spot. As a result the waiting time can get pretty long so plan accordingly. The grounds are beautiful and immaculately maintained.
You are required to remove your shoes before climbing the more than 50 steps to the temple entrance. The inside is a tranquil sanctuary with lots of chairs to sit and contemplate life.

An architectural gem.. the space is beautifully designed for the purpose of spiritual and social awakening of the visitors... Peaceful and relaxing environment... Everyday prayers will calm your soul... Baha'i faith is very beautifully explained in the Design itself...

The place is quite good, it's not a temple to worship but a place to relax your mind and meditate in a big hall and there is no need to buy tickets as entry is free.
Information centre helps us to understand more about the place and it's history.
The Lotus Temple has won numerous architectural awards and has been featured in many newspaper and magazine articles.
Overall visiting the temple is a good experience and also gives you peace but with a lot of people around you,it's get difficult.

The temple's white marble structure and pristine surroundings create a sense of peace and tranquility, making it a perfect place for meditation and reflection. Visitors of all faiths are welcome to enter and explore the temple, as it symbolizes unity and oneness of all religions.
The interior of the Lotus Temple is equally impressive, featuring a vast central hall with no idols or religious symbols. Instead, it encourages visitors to contemplate and pray in their own way, fostering an inclusive and spiritual experience.

Although the entry inside is restricted at this Covid, but being in the campus is such peaceful. Calmness and peace can be felt here, such pure energy. Campus is well maintained, free of cost to enter and see the beauty around. The cleanliness is commendable, so is the staff behaviour. You can see varieties of flowers and well maintained trees. A must visit with your loved ones.

A very beautiful temple. The surrounding is clean and the garden is well-maintained. The view is amazing.
Inside it's very calm and quite. There's nothing much inside, just a bunch chairs and a table. You can stay inside for as long as you want but you can't make noise or use phones.
While going inside the temple grounds, you are not allowed to bring any kind of foods and beverages(except water) and all bags or backpacks will be checked. If you have a camera with you then you have to submit your ID card at the check gate.

Lotus Temple is a recent monument in the historical city of Delhi, and owing to its beautiful design and free entry, it is one of the popular sites for Delhites. Full marks for cleanliness and security. But it is too crowded on holidays (as it has free entry), and there is littering all around the boundaries. People have no respect for our monuments and lack sense of cleanliness, which should be developed among ourselves.

Nice place to see bhaai temple. You can expand for 30 minutes time here. It is a nice eye catching place. Inside the temple nothing except the seating area or you can say prayer area. The Lotus Temple is located in New Delhi, India. It is famous for its lotus-like shape and has become a prominent attraction in the city. The building comprises 27 free-standing marble-clad "petals" arranged in three clusters to form nine sides, with nine doors opening onto a central hall with a height of slightly over 34 meters and a capacity of 1,300 people. Inspired by the lotus flower, which is composed of 27 free-standing marble-clad "petals" arranged in clusters of three to form nine sides. The temple's shape is symbolic and inter-religious because the lotus is often associated with purity, sacredness, spirituality, and knowledge. The nine doors of the Lotus Temple open onto a central hall 34.3 meters tall that can seat 1,300 people and hold up to 2,500. The temple has a diameter of 70 m. The Lotus Temple property comprises 26 acres and nine surrounding ponds and gardens.

The Lotus Temple is undeniably a beautiful structure, with its stunning architectural design reminiscent of a blooming lotus flower. However, if you're seeking mental peace, this might not be the ideal destination due to the bustling crowds and constant activity.
While the temple offers a picturesque backdrop for a photo shoot, the serenity one might expect to find here is often overshadowed by the sheer number of visitors. The peaceful ambiance often sought after for quiet contemplation may be elusive amidst the hustle and bustle.
Nevertheless, the sheer beauty of the Lotus Temple's architecture is undeniable and worth experiencing. Despite the crowds, it remains a remarkable testament to artistry and creativity. So, if you're prepared for the lively atmosphere and appreciate captivating architecture, a visit to the Lotus Temple can still be a memorable experience.

Entry closes by 5PM sharp, entry to temple/garden is absolutely free.
This temple is such a wonderful architectural marvel. Garden is so huge, beautiful and very well managed. Although entry in garden isn’t allowed.
There’s a pathway (long corridor) that leads to temple you can walk along the garden and get some amazing pictures.
There’s no idol inside so it’s not a worshipping temple. You can sit and do dhyan.
Parking is available on the opposite side of the temple.

This temple atmosphere amazing...Interesting architectural building, Inspired by a lotus flower, hence the name. It's surrounded by some nice gardens leading up to the temple. Be aware that you must take your shoes off and put them in a bag walking up to the temple. Inside there are no pictures or talking allowed. Not a very picturesque place inside, but a good place to pray or meditate.
SHUBHAM SEN — Google review
This is a beautiful, no doubt about it...but you cannot go there to relax or have any peace of mind. They are huge queues and the entire ground is restricted. You are allowed to only use the footpaths. During the huge rush, that space is not sufficient. What's the point of having a massive complex with a huge garden if you are not allowed to leave the footpath. There is also very minimal parking in this area. The access road is narrow.
Overall, not a place to go if you are looking for a peaceful time..

Lotus Temple Rd Bahapur, Kalkaji, New Delhi, Delhi 110019, India
Gurudwara Shri Bangla Sahib is a beautiful Sikh temple made of white marble and adorned with shining golden onion domes. It was constructed on the site where the eighth Sikh guru, Harkrishan Dev, resided before his passing in 1664. The gurdwara features a large holy tank of water which is said to have healing properties and has been associated with the young guru's efforts to tend to cholera and smallpox victims during an epidemic.
My most favourite place where I felt so good and calm. The place is so calm and peaceful. The staff who was collecting our footwears near shoe holders section randomly gave me chocolates which made my day. It was so kind of him. Everyone working there are so humble and ambience was lovely. Felt blessed. There is also a pond with colourful fishes. Food was very delicious.

The staff is also supportive and well mannered. Photography is not allowed but yes u can take little photos if u want. This Sikh temple is beautiful and provides an amazing food and shelter service to the community. There is a kitchen, a holy pond, a school and an art gallery. It was a very special experience visiting this very Holy historical place. what i liked most about this place is the spirit of tolerance and how to deal with the others regardless your religions or believes as every one is welcome here. there is a hug lake as i understand with holy water and i saw people can take bath there.

In the end, they asked for a donation of 500 rupees for one person.

Very well maintained with beautiful interiors. Everyone doing seva is very sweet & helpful. We are suppose to remove our shoes & socks and wash your feet before entering the Gurudwara. Like any other Gurudwara it is mandatory to cover your head so kindly carry a scarf or handkerchief along. They also provide Kada prasad & langar is served in the langar hall. There was a huge free parking lot too. The hospitality is amazing & I would love to visit it often.

You have to remove your socks and just before you enter they have a small sink sorta thing you step in to so that your feet’s are cleaned.
Gurudwara is so beautifully made and has multiple entrances to where the Guru Grant Sahib is kept.
It is mandatory to cover your head so kindly bring your own scarf or Handkerchief if you do not want to use what they provide.

It's a nice place . Peaceful place where you can hangout with family , friends, partners ,couples everyone . But here is a small tip, in rainy days bring your umbrella and some plastic papers with yourself because benches are bit drizzling and wet . Also, do bring some food to eat there because the vendors are selling it at bit higher prices. Enjoy the monument and greenery there . If you're couple , then please safe yourself from those beggars and aunties who ask for money. You can go there for Pre-wedding photo shoot as well. There are restroom as well..and they all are really clean .There is a lake as well with swans all around . Go and enjoy the surrounding. Happy visiting 😀.

Since there's plenty of trees around, the air is fresh and offer peace of mind around the garden. The garden is accompanied by old monumental structure. The structure itself give us an idea on how construction of buildings were done in early times.
In short, basically it is an garden with a few old monumental structure. Best for recreational activities and to relieve oneself

One of the historically rich park’s of Delhi. Three beautiful tombs of Lodhi dynasty rulers make it magnificent. There are enough well laid walking tracks n washrooms on every corner of the park. Many old trees n lush green ground around the historical monuments makes it magical. At this time of year, flowers are at full bloom especially the bougainvillea. Although over the years greenary is getting reduced, it is still one of the best parks in Delhi n home to many species of birds n different flowers. To accommodate the increased footfall new tracks are laid and green area’s shrinking. Tea, snacks n drinking water is available. Parking is always a messy affair there.

Strolling along the winding paths, you encounter centuries-old trees, fragrant blooms, and serene water features that transport you to another time.

First of all you have to clear on what terminal your flight is terminal 1, 2 or 3. So take taxi, auto aur car as per it otherwise your time will waste. You can board domestic and international flights in IGI delhi. They have digi locker line so which can save your time and energy as it allows you to enter like vip or business class. After entering there are so many gates to board your flight. There is food court, nescafe outlet, McDonald's, some cloths brand, Patanjali, haldiram etc. My flight was vistara for delhi to indore and Ahmedabad to delhi flight was air india. When you enter from terminal 3 there is statue of elephant and budha etc. Which gave touch of Indian culture. Good parking area. You can get taxi outside of it. There are two or three types of taxi service. There toilets are best in comparison to Ahmedabad and indore and there is qr code by which you tell about the service. Clean and hygienic. Air india's vegan food was worest food

One of the best airports in the world. I love this airport for ease of information available. Ease of navigation. Helpful staff. World class facilities. One of the busiest airport but still standards have been maintained. Safe and secure to travel.

It was a huge airport I had never seen like this before. There are a lot of terminals, and you had to walk a lot to get your one. Well managed and variety of duty free shops are available in this airport. Excellent. I like it. This is my second time. The first time is the worst one. I had to wait more than 10 hours, and this time delay from my country, but in time from here.

Navigating Delhi Airport and a 3-Hour Layover with IndiGo:
Recently, I had a layover at Delhi Airport while flying IndiGo. Here's a breakdown of my experience:
Delhi Airport:
Ease of Access: Arriving and navigating the airport was fairly straightforward. Signage was clear, and I easily found my way to my gate. However, depending on your terminal, the walking distances could be quite long, so factor that into your layover planning.
Amenities: The airport offers a variety of amenities to keep you occupied during your layover. There are numerous shops and restaurants catering to different budgets and tastes. Additionally, there are rest areas with comfortable seating and charging points. If you have a longer layover, consider exploring the paid lounges for more premium amenities like showers and quiet spaces.
Cleanliness: The overall cleanliness of the airport was average. While common areas were generally well-maintained, some restrooms could have been tidier.
IndiGo Airlines:
Boarding: My boarding experience was efficient and hassle-free. The boarding process started on time, and the cabin crew was helpful in ensuring a smooth flow.
In-flight Service: The cabin crew was attentive and friendly. Depending on the length of your flight, you might want to consider bringing additional snacks or purchasing them onboard.
Seat Comfort: The seat comfort was average for a budget airline. For a 3-hour flight, it was manageable, but for longer journeys, you might want to consider upgrading to a seat with more legroom.
Entertainment: The in-flight entertainment was missing. As a result the whole time was boring on the flight .
3-Hour Layover:
Time Management: Three hours at Delhi Airport can be enough to explore the terminal, grab a bite, and even do some light shopping. However, if you have ambitious plans, like visiting the city center, it might feel a bit tight. Consider your priorities and plan accordingly.
Activities: Depending on your interests and budget, you can spend your layover browsing the duty-free shops, indulging in a spa treatment at the airport, or relaxing in a pay-per-use lounge. For a more cultural experience, you could consider booking a city tour with a short layover option.
Overall Impression:
My experience with Delhi Airport and IndiGo for a 3-hour layover was decent. The airport offered enough amenities to keep me occupied, and the IndiGo flight was comfortable and efficient. However, for a longer layover or a more premium experience, you might want to consider other options. Remember to manage your expectations based on your budget and priorities.

Very well designed for convenience and comfort. Some airlines have to improve their services but the airport is state of the art. Lots of parking, cab services, amenities, security, etc. are available.
Very green and spacious airport.
