Magnificent....its a drive of 3 hours (from pahalgam) and we hired a private cab to reach there. You'll find eating places (way too expensive) but they allow little bargaining. Make sure to carry a warm jacket and head cover as the winds are too chilly, even during summers. We forgot to carry and later on had to sit in the car to protect ourselves.

Must Visit. Offbeat destination. Relatively lesser known among the famous destinations in kashmir. But as beautiful as any place else. Not crowded at all, Cool strong breeze, mildly warm sun. Beautiful lush green slopes, fast moving clouds and breathtaking panoramic views of valley floors on either side.

One of best experience in Kashmir was this place, full of snow, best thing about this place was it was not at all crowded as you will not find this place in your any tour package.
The Maggie we had after 3-4 hour masti(fun) in the snow was best. Must visit place, but if you planning to visit Kashmir in the month of December then maybe it will restricted area in that month due to heavy snow

Sinthan Top is a mountain pass,
a popular tourist destination located between South Kashmir's Breng Valley (Sub-District Kokernag) in Kishtwar district
This place is very freezing with minus degree temperature
We have beautiful view of snow mountains
Please keep a note mobile networks dont work here !! Always carry cash
Food and tea are available with bit high cost….
We even have sledge rides here. The ice is very dry and slippery
Some spots have soft ice and we even fall inside the ice
Overall its a beautiful place to experience once in a lifetime ✌🏻

Sinthan top is a spot 12000 ft above sea level in Kashmir which is midway on the newly opened Anantnag-kokernag-Sinthan-Kishtwar road. The road has been built and is maintained by BRo in excellent condition. It is 132 km from Srinagar. The journey is in itself an experience and once you reach the top it is 360 degree view, and snow everywhere. You can get down from the car and walk on snow. Sinthan Top is a less-known tourist spot in the outskirts of Srinagar that is gradually gaining popularity because of its natural beauty. It lies midway on the Anantnag-Kokernag-Sinthan-Kishtwar road, which was opened in recent years.
The road is well maintained by the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) that provides an easy access to this spot. Lying at an elevation of 12000 feet above the sea level, this place overlooks beautiful sceneries of the low-lying regions. The sprawling cover of snow paints this entire area in white, making it visually appealing. During most parts of the year, the area remains inaccessible due to heavy snowfall, and the best time to visit is between April and September.
Sinthan Top is perhaps one of the best natural beauty area I have seen in Kashmir. The new highway is so clear and safe and easily takes you to Sinthan Top. Most of the tourists are unaware of this place and even the cabbies will not take much pain or even botheration to inform you about this place.
The new highway is well-built and secure and almost effortlessly takes you to Sinthan Top. The vast majority of tourists are unaware of this place. The Sinthan top is around 12000 ft above sea level and is one of the finest experiences ever. Getting there may take a lot of time and energy for those who are occasional travelers but it is a place which is a must see for everyone. The road up is usually met with snow-formed streams at many places. The water level in these creeks is less and moves slowly throughout the year, thus offering an ideal spot for photo snappy tourists. Stop by, sit and relax on this gigantic stone with calm but cold stream flowing beside; a sight that simply mesmerizes your senses. Once you reach the very top, you would be simply blown away by the amazing vastness of the green mountains.

Spent two days on world famous dull lake of India and it was stunning. We booked two house boats and princess Alexandra hous boat is a signature of hospitality with wood curved rooms , luxury interior and THE GREAT SIKARA RIDE OVER GREAT DULL LAKE. People managing the property are also very friendly. Hope this friendliness continues for more pictorial memories and thriving of local hardworking people largely dependent on local (Indian) and foreign tourists

When in Kashmir do visit this off beat place. Very very beautiful and secluded from the crowd
The ice is fresh and white. You can enjoy activities like sledge over here. Enjoy hot khawa, tea coffee maggie, although it might be expensive
No restrooms are available anywhere near the top. Warm clothes can be rented on the way to the top with a charge of 300rs for one garment set.

Raw Beauty with good connectivity. There are no hotels, dhabas, restaurants, work shops or restrooms between Deksum to Sinthan top. So be prepared while travelling with family, friends or alone. Rest enjoy the scenery!!

Hundreds of turns along the way. The drive is definitely worth it. Every bend on the road is a photographer's delight. Don't forget your camera. The area is known for its beauty and wonderful tourist attractions. The place is fast growing as one of the top tourist destination in Kashmir. The journey is in itself an experience and once you reach the top it is 360 degree view.
I am going there again!

Such an amazing place to visit in summers, upto May one can get snow covered peaks of mountains and can also enjoy snow scooter ride but overall just reach the height and sit and just watch the beauty of nature, always had glows, umbrella and raincoat as rains may come anytime. And try to come as early as possible..

Located between South Kashmir's Breng Valley and Kishtwar, Sinthan Top is a mountain pass which is one of the most popular tourist attractions in the region. At a height of 3800 m, Sinthan Top draws many tourists with 360° gorgeous views of both Jammu Region and Kashmir Region. Being covered in snow throughout the year, this must-see place in Kishtwar attracts snow lovers as well.
The nearby Sinthan Maidan (24 km) is also becoming an important hub for trekking, mountaineering and skiing enthusiast. Not only this, Sinthan Maidan is a great family destination with activities like horse riding and paragliding on offer.

Great location. Nice drive to the top. Snow is less at this time of the year (July). Small eateries on the top. There is a toll after daksum where local police may stop you from going. We were lucky.
Worth the drive and views

In Jan 2024, there was no snow or very less snow in places like sonmarg, gulmarg or pahalgam. It seemed that our trip will end without snow. However we changed our plan and decided to visit sinthan top on 18 jan. It was a good decision. We got a good snow here enjoyed a lot here.
Small eateries are available here. Snow activities are also available.

Nice scenic place i would say even though there is not much you can do, because of no recreational facilities available. The place is plain and green, mountain tops with clouds flying above your head. You will enjoy the road more,Good experience overall

We visited this in june and it was completely filled with snow. This place is a 3.5 hour drive from Srinagar and is not widely suggested to the tourists. The entire drive was scenic covered with green trees on one side and snow mountain on the other. The last 30 min ride had snow on both the side
The destination is usually described. But the path to this destination is an experience that cannot be explained!
The mountain was India's beauty at its best. This is the best place I've been. Heavenly Experience 🤍

Yusmarg is an ideal destination to explore if you're in the Gulmarg area. This charming location offers visitors a chance to participate in horseback riding and freshwater fishing. If you're feeling energetic, consider embarking on a 10 km trek that leads to Sand-e-Safed Valley, where you'll find a frozen lake. When it's time to head back, returning to Gulmarg is your best bet.
Located in Bagdam district, Meadows of Jesus or Yusmarg is known for its long stretches of green pastures. An ideal tourist attraction that in its humblest of ways teaches to revere nature, Yusmarg is a proud part of the Valley of Kashmir. Embark on trails that lead to exotic places like Sang-e-Safed Valley and Nilnag. Away from the confines of the mundane, Yusmarg is a little paradise in its own right.
The jewel of Bagdam district, Yusmarg shelters many picture perfect locales. It mesmerizes tourists with its natural beauty through destinations like Sang-e-Safed valley; Yusmarg is also famed for having some exceptional springs of flowers. It has some of the highest peaks in PirPanjal range including Tattakutti (4,725 m) and Sunset Peak (4,746m). The majestic river Doodh Ganga also makes this destination more thrilling and challenging. The mighty natural slopes of Yusmarg provide skiing opportunities to adventure enthusiasts. On the other side, the holy shrine of Charar-e-Sharif endows blessing to the entire regions and is reckoned to protect the land from all kinds of mishaps. The timeless beauty of Yusmarg captivates the hearts of the visitors and compels them to return from time to time.
Usually I go yousmarg for birding.

This beautiful destination consists lot of valleys and peaks with integration of milky coloured flowing water called Doodh Ganga, this place needs a lot of development and maintenance. Horse riding is available at this gorgeous place with variety of horses. For proper integration of Doodh Ganga with Yousmarg, roads need to be developed to have better connectivity throughout the year. More hotels, restaurants and guest houses should be built for night stay at this place.
Yousmarg is a hill station in the Indian union territory of Jammu and Kashmir, located in the western section of the Kashmir Valley. It is an alpine valley with snow-capped mountains and pine and fir plains. It's 13 kilometres south of Charari Sharief, a town in Jammu & Kashmir's Budgam region. It is on the banks of the Doodh Ganga River, a tributary of the Jehlum River. It is situated in the Pir Panjal peaks, a Himalayan sub-range. The Sunset Peak and the Tatakooti Peak are the two peaks for which expeditions depart from this hill station. It is located at a height of 2,396 metres (7,861 feet) above sea level. It is located 47 kilometres south of Srinagar, the state capital. Beautiful scenery, fresh pine nurseries, verdant meadows, and heart-warming lotic and lentic water bodies may all be found at Yousmarg. The beauty of the meadows is enhanced by the presence of Nilnag, Doodh Ganga, and a newly constructed artificial dam. Yousmarg is surrounded by beautiful flora and fauna.

Yusmarg is often referred to as a trekkers paradise.Yusmarg has some modest stay options but some new homestays have come up around the area.Tribe homestay and cafe located at the nearest village Nagbal is gaining popularity especially among the youth. The place is rustic, wooden and reflects the Kashmiri architectural heritage. Among fauna, locals claim that they often sight wolves, bears, apes, cats, aves of various types (flight as well as flightless). Yusmarg is among a few offbeat places of Kashmir and you can explore it in a day because it's only 45km away from Srinagar. The place is worth visiting as of now because there is not much human interference and it has a good scenic view from dense forest to the flowing river you will find everything here. Must add it to your bucket list.

I have visited this place so many years ago and still nothing new has happened with respect to maintenance and development ... Needs maintenance and dedicated efforts.
No good parks, the landscape full of horse and smells really bad..
The best thing perhaps is if you go to Doodhganga and enjoy the waters and the other side where its more of natural and great scenic spots.

Visited in July. Full of greenery and grazing animals on the picturesque green lawns is an amazing feeling.
Need to take pony rides to reach the spots after parking(Do negotiate for a better deal). The best spot is Doodh Ganga.worth the time spent. Rest all spots are just useless, purposely created. Snacks, food, tea stalls available.

Beautiful place but no good place to have lunch. There is one resort named as Zeezayn Huts & Resorts who was giving lunch but it was so bad that we didn’t eat a single bit. We just tasted and left after giving him whole amount. Everything was having some smell in it. He initially said that he will be quick and wasted our 2 hours there. Apart from that it was good. We didn’t observed any snow there and thay have pony rides so one can visit waterfall but it was too far so we didn’t ho there

Hi, I planned to visit Patnitop in Jammu. After reaching there, I came across a new destination by the name of Naag Mandir. They provide a lot of fun and adventurous activities including a gondola ride, zipline, magic carpet, tubing sledge and ropeway. Their ropeway is in fact one of the highest in India. It was really fun and I really had a wonderful experience. I think this might help others as well. Thanks:)

Very nice place to visit if you go to Patnitop
I like to suggest some think if you're going Patnitop
1. From Katra you will find many people and agency that will help you out but You can also ask directly connect from driver there just ask anyone where you can find car stand its near Katra bus stand
Important - The price from Katra to Patnitop 5 seater car is around 2600-3000 (Round Trip means it will show you all the spot in Patnitop and Drop back to Katra ) most important here your bargaining skill will help you out.
Ask for Driver ID take photo of his car and no. Plate for safer side they will ask you the advance mostly 500 rs So you have also right to ask his ID Proof
2. There you will find a set of Overcoat with shoe if you like you can rent it around 200-250 rs otherwise carry one overcoat ( bargaining skill again )
3. In Patnitop there is only snow to look and the nature view that's why don't expect most.
You can find Snow Sledge ride they will ask you around 500 rs per person here you have to use your bargaining skill again
Carry Cash to avoid headache and go there in morning to avoid any issue

The temple on the lap of famous hill station of jammu & kashmir, patnitop. the temple is is almost 600 years old made by good and strong woodan material. During the Nag Panchami Festival, it sees hundreds of Shiva devotees, who throng to this temple to pay respects and worship the snake King Cobra. I'll never travel to Jaisalmer without this trip planner again
Chamera Dam is a large structure built to contain water and create a lake suitable for various aquatic activities. The reservoir formed by the dam provides ample space for sailing, canoeing, kayaking, and other water sports. The size of the dam allows it to hold a significant amount of water that can be used for irrigation or generating hydroelectricity. With its scenic beauty and recreational opportunities, Chamera Dam has become a popular destination among tourists seeking adventure and relaxation alike.
Situated amidst lush greenery, Khajjiar Lake is a picturesque water body nestled in the midst of rolling hills and meadows at mid-altitude. Its location appears straight out of a storybook, as it seems to magically appear in the middle of a forest drive. The landscape is surreal and offers multiple activities for visitors to indulge in. Even with all the hustle and bustle around, one can find solace here and appreciate its natural beauty.
This one is certainly right out of a story book.
It just magically shows up in the middle of a forest drive.
The landscape is surreal and even though there might be multiple activities happening In and around it, you'll be able to find yourself a spot to relax and sink the beauty in.
It is a approx 20kms from the Gandhi Chowk in Dalhousie.
The ride to the place is equally beautiful as you pass through a forest reserve.
Highly recommended.

Extremely scenic and on par with any European tourist places. I feel, a few unnecessary tourist attractions (such as Horse riding and inside park eateries) should be avoided to make this more pleasant

I visited Khajjiar shortly after the monsoon (one of the best seasons to visit). It is a sprawling green meadow with a marsh lake in the middle and surrounded all around by deodar trees. There is a cottage run by Himachal tourism situated right in the meadow (the iconic photo that you see when you search Khajjiar in Google), where you can book your stay through the Himachal tourism website. It was lush green and the weather was pleasant in September. The good thing about Khajjiar is that it's not overcrowded (yet). There is so much fresh air and tranquility. You can take a good walk around the perimeter and then sit on a bench and enjoy the view how much ever you want. This place is a great escapade from the noise and crowd of the city.

Overall khajjiar is very beautiful..Lake just adds to the beauty of this place. i don't know if boating is there or not but there was very less water when i visited may be due to heat. beautiful and calm place to spent a day with family or friend. It is know as Mini switzerland. Khajjiar lake is very small, there is no water activities here. There is only green ground between high hills. Deodar tree and green grass makes beautiful view. Cold breeze and fresh sun light fill your life with freshness. shops for eating and hotels for staying is available here. You can camping in the night. But concern with locals there is risk of wild animals also.
You can do paragliding, Horse riding etc.
for enjoying snow visit in Jan and feb month,
avoid visit in monsoon season.
Try to book hotel in Dalhousie come in day time and go back to hotel in the evening.
There is a good temple of khajji nag to visit.

My experience at Khajjiar Lake was far from impressive. I visited in the month of December and without the picturesque snow, the place loses its charm, leaving little else to captivate visitors. The lake itself is ordinary, and the surroundings lack the magic that comes with a snowy landscape.
When the snow is absent, Khajjiar Lake becomes just another average spot, lacking the allure that's often associated with this destination. I'd advise skipping it unless you're fortunate enough to catch it during the rare snowy season. Without the snow, it's a rather unremarkable visit.

Visiting Khajjiar Lake in Himachal Pradesh was an enchanting experience that left me awe-inspired by nature's beauty. The moment I reached this picturesque location, I was greeted by the breathtaking landscape of lush green meadows, surrounded by towering deodar trees.
I took a peaceful stroll around the lake, absorbing the tranquility and enjoying the cool breeze that gently caressed my face.
->For adventure seekers, there were options for horse riding and zorbing, which added an extra dose of excitement to the visit.
-> Highly recommended for those seeking solace amidst nature's wonders! 🏔️🚶♂️📸

Khajjiar which is also known as Mini Switzerland truly lives up to its name. This majestic place is a must visit place in your lifetime. There are hardly any places like this in india other than Kashmir Doodh Pathri. I visited this place multiple times but every time this place feels special. Visited this place 9 months back too.

Dainkund Peak is a scenic tourist attraction with a temple located at the top, offering magnificent views. The uphill trek of around 1.5 km features some inclines and steps along with straight natural paths. Visitors can experience cold breezes, especially during winter when the fields are covered in snow. During summers, it offers lush greenery with residual snow. The location's picturesque scenery makes it an excellent spot for capturing nature photography.
Amazing experience. Little step climb but good path has been made to reach the top. U will get ice patches on the way. It will be too breezy , so carry proper cold clothing.

This peak had the best views throughout the trekking. It's a short 2 kms around trek, which is a little steep for 1km and then it gets better. But you will enjoy the lush green views (if you are visiting after monsoon, we visited in September) all the way to the top.

Best trek one must do while visiting Khajjiar/kalatop or else can plan a day to dainkud if visiting to the region.
It’s a 3 Km trek and nature gives you beautiful way to heaven.

Trekking with beautiful scenic views and breezy air makes the trek more beautiful and lovely. It's little bit more for beginners but can surely give a try. The journey and destination both are worth it. Roads and steps are made so it's easy.

Beginner level trekking of approximately 1.5 km with some steps, straight natural path in between with some slopes. Cold breeze will be touching your skins and with high velocity. At the end of the trek there is a temple "Pohlani Mataji" and behind that you can see Mount Kailash peak (As written on the Temple Wall) and other mountain ranges. In winter you will find snow covered field and during Summers you can enjoy greenery with some residual snow. Location is very picturesque and can take some great pictures of nature here.

Excellent place; a must visit to trek for those who are not used to trekking. The stone and paved path uphill is full of breathtaking views. At a distance of 17 km from Dalhousie Bus Stand, Dainkund Peak, perched at an altitude of 2755 m, is the highest mountain peak in Dalhousie. This is the most important peak and also a very popular place to visit in Dalhousie. Tourists can enjoy 360° view of the entire valley from this peak.
Dainkund is also a famous place for short trekking near Dalhousie. The name Dainkund is said to have been derived from Dain - Kund, which means Lake of the Witches. It is believed that in old days this mountain was the residence of witches. The sound of the breeze passing through the trees makes a musical sound, due to which this peak has also acquired the name, the singing hill.
This peak has two major attractions; one is the Indian Air Force base and the other is the Pholani Devi temple, which is a temple of great importance. One of the most interesting facts about this temple is that, except a trident there is nothing inside the temple premises. The peak offers a clear view of the flow of the rivers Ravi, Chenab and Beas which flow at the base.
Trekking is the most common path to get to the top and is a beautiful experience, with great views and fresh cool mountain air. Being the highest peak, it gets maximum snowfall during the winter season. The ascent to the Dainkund begins after crossing Lakkar Mandi. About 6 km drive from Lakkar Mandi leads to Indian Air Force Barrier, where the cars are parked. From the end of the motor able road to the temple one has to walk around 3 km of which the first km is very steep. However, this steep stretch of walk is quite safe as the path is made of wide concrete steps.

"The crowning glory of my Vaishno Devi pilgrimage was the mesmerizing view from Bhairo Mandir. After a challenging yet spiritually enriching trek, reaching Bhairo Mandir felt like ascending to a celestial realm. The panoramic vistas of the Trikuta Mountains were simply awe-inspiring, with every peak and valley creating a breathtaking tapestry of nature's grandeur.
From this elevated perch, the Vaishno Devi temple below appeared like a divine jewel embedded in the rugged landscape. The sense of accomplishment blended seamlessly with the spiritual awe as I gazed upon the sanctum from Bhairo Mandir. The tranquility of the surroundings added a serene touch, allowing for quiet introspection and a deep connection with the spiritual essence of the journey.
The meticulous planning and maintenance of the route from Vaishno Devi to Bhairo Mandir showcased the dedication of the temple authorities to provide a holistic pilgrimage experience. This journey not only tested my physical endurance but also uplifted my spirit, leaving an indelible mark on my soul. The culmination of the pilgrimage at Bhairo Mandir was a moment of pure bliss, where the earthly and divine elements converged in a harmonious spectacle, etching an unforgettable chapter in my spiritual journey."

They have really worked a lot and this place is now having good path, Electric transportation, Cable car, Helicopters and the best part is now you can travel from any where in India to directly Mata Vaishno Devi. Earlier you have to go to Jammu and from there catch bus. But now everything is so smooth.

Mata Vaishno Devi Mandir (bhawan) is one of the best holiest places in India. The mandir is too high from the Katra and has approx 15 km. Total Yatra or Journey of Holy 'Shree Vaishnav Mata Ji' and 'Shree Bhairav Baba Ji' takes around 12 to 15 hrs. It is very well-managed and beautifully oraganised by the Katra shrine board. Clean toilets along the way, several food stalls, drinking water points for every traveler, many benches to sit and rest all way. Entire trek was very beautiful and 90% shaded. its a life time experience to visit here. After mataji darshan we took rope way to reach bhairav baba temple, whose price is Rs 100 per person. bhairav baba mandir balcony is the great place to take photos/selfie.

Mata Vaishno Devi, also known as Vaishno Devi Mandir, is a popular Hindu temple located in the Trikuta Mountains in the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir. The temple is dedicated to the Hindu goddess Mata Vaishno Devi, who is believed to fulfill the wishes of her devotees.
The pilgrimage to Mata Vaishno Devi begins at the base camp in Katra, which is about 42 kilometers from Jammu. From Katra, devotees have to trek uphill to reach the temple. The trek is approximately 13 kilometers long and passes through picturesque mountainous terrain.
The temple is situated at an altitude of around 5,300 feet above sea level. Devotees have to climb a flight of approximately 5,000 steps to reach the main shrine, which is located inside a cave. Alternatively, some devotees prefer to hire ponies, palanquins, or helicopters to reach the temple.
The shrine receives millions of devotees every year, especially during the auspicious occasions of Navratri and other festivals. The pilgrimage is considered highly significant in Hinduism, and devotees visit the temple to seek the blessings of Mata Vaishno Devi.
It's important to note that the information I provided is based on the knowledge available to me up until September 2021. It's always a good idea to check for any recent updates or changes regarding the pilgrimage to Mata Vaishno Devi before planning your visit.

Queues were not too Big.
For people who travelled via Helicopter and same day return, VIP PASS issued from Helipad Counter.
We need to remember that we must have to return with in time mentioned on VIP SLIP.
We need to enter from Gate No 5 to avoid long queues which is clearly mentioned on Slip.
We can take Prasad from local shop and put all our bags there to save time.

Triund is a mountain peak that provides breathtaking views and campsites for trekking enthusiasts. Accessible by trekking from Bhagsunag waterfall for approximately 5-6 hours, the route boasts of chai spots along the way. Local food options are available at Bhagsunag, but none at Triund where prices for basic items like water bottles can be high (Rs. 80). Visitors planning to stay overnight at the top should consider taking a package deal.
Nice place to visit very adventure trip ... ideal for people with absolutely no trekking experience, as this trek will provide them a very basic taste of trekking, whereas for trekkers, it's just a walk in the wild. It's very good experience walking up to Triund through the forest. On the way, you see amazing views of McLeodganj, Bhagsu, & Dharamkot.

The Truind Trek offers a captivating journey through the serene landscapes of Himachal Pradesh, India. Starting from the quaint village of McLeod Ganj, the trail gradually ascends through lush green forests, revealing stunning vistas of the Dhauladhar range. As trekkers ascend, they encounter charming streams and cascading waterfalls, adding to the scenic allure of the route.
The highlight of the trek is reaching Truind, a picturesque meadow adorned with colorful wildflowers during the spring and summer months. Trekkers can relax and soak in the panoramic views of the surrounding snow-capped peaks, including the majestic Triund Peak. Camping overnight amidst this natural splendor offers a surreal experience, especially when the starlit sky casts its magical glow over the landscape.
While the trek is moderately challenging, it is accessible to both beginners and experienced trekkers alike, making it a popular choice for adventure enthusiasts seeking a rejuvenating escape into the Himalayas. However, due to its popularity, weekends and peak seasons can get crowded, so opting for weekdays or off-peak times is advisable for a more peaceful experience. Overall, the Truind Trek promises a memorable expedition immersed in the breathtaking beauty of the Himalayan wilderness.

Awesome place for weekend trip.
You can go there by reaching Bhagsunag waterfall from McLeodganj/ Dharamshala.
from Bhagsunag trekking is there for approx 5-6 hours.
Local food items and resturants are availabe at Bhagsunag, but at Triund no such resturants are there. Cost of foods is also very high (water bottle for Rs. 80)
It would be beneficial to take package prior to going if planning to stay at night at top. Views are scenic at top at day as well as at night.
Round trip can also be planned but trek is to be started early in morning in that case.
Snowfall can be seen at some days. It would be good to enquire about it prior to going.

Triund is a small hill station situated in the foothills of Dhauladhar Ranges in the Kangra district of Himachal. It lies near Dharamshala and is located at an altitude of around 2850 m. This trek provides majestic views of the hills all around. One gets mesmerised by its heights and the sceneries it provides.
Weather at Triund is pleasant in the summer months. You can feel the cool breeze of the hills as you climb up the hills. The temperature at Triund drops after the month of October and snowfall can be seen in the months of January- March.
The total distance covered in the trek is 7 km. The difficulty level of Triund trek can be considered as easy to moderate. Even the beginners can go for Triund trek. Place is Amazing but There are Important Points To take Care.
1. Its a 4-5 Hours Trek for People from Non Pahadi Cities. And 3-4 when you comming back dependig upon snow.
2.If you are not staying at triund trek camp then start your treking before 9am i.e start your journey at 7.30am from your hotel. Take taxi and reach gallu temple then start treking.
3. This trek is not Children friend. Please avoid to go with clidrens below 14 years.
4. Plese take bamboo and wooden stick from nearby gallu's temple dhabas. It just cost you rs 50 rent and 100 security.
5. Trek is full of sharp stones and narrow paths so be careful.
View is very Amazing spend some time at top have food tea at top, take pics.
6. Try to come back before 5.30 pm

During holidays there are a lot of party people with their loud bluetooth speakers destroying the peaceful mountain atmosphere. At top you can enjoy beautiful sunsets, moon rise and sky full of stars. Be sure to carry warm clothes as temperature drops real quick. Don’t rely on just sleeping bags. Have a great journey

Truind Trek was an absolute adventure! The trail is well-marked and offers stunning panoramic views throughout. Here's a quick guide to the trek:
1. Start Early: Begin your trek early to catch the sunrise over the majestic mountains.
2. Moderate Difficulty: The trek is moderately challenging with a mix of steep ascents and descents. Suitable for beginners with reasonable fitness levels.
3. Scenic Beauty: Be prepared to be mesmerized by the lush green meadows, vibrant red flowers, and breathtaking vistas.

Embarking on this trek offers a moderate level of difficulty with numerous breathtaking views along the way. It's essential to wear sturdy shoes and uphold a commitment to avoid littering.
Even if you're a beginner, fear not – with a little precaution and motivation, the trek is manageable. The stunning views encountered during the journey make the entire experience worthwhile.
Beyond the physical challenge, treks like these prompt internal reflections. Amidst the mountains, one realizes their smallness in the vast world, gaining perspective on life's battles. Embrace the journey, capture the beauty, and remember that, in the grand scheme, challenges are temporary.

Truind Trek offers a diverse experience suitable for both novice trekkers and seasoned adventurers. The trek provides breathtaking views of the Dhauladhar range and McLeodganj, Bhagsu, & Dharamkot along the way. It's moderately difficult yet manageable in 4-6 hours, with the option to camp overnight for a mesmerizing starlit experience. However, be prepared for weather changes, as mist may obstruct views at the top. Carry essentials like a torch, and consider staying at the forest guest house or camping. Don't forget to bring raw chicken and drinks for a hearty meal, and capture the journey with an SLR camera. Truind Trek promises unforgettable moments amidst nature's beauty.

Small pond surrounded by lot of green trees. It is not well maintained though. There is hardly any water and whatever is there, it is green and dirty. Understandably, there is no boating here. It is on the way towards Naddi View Point, passing-by glance is enough for this spot.

Decent place for morning walks. A small lake with trees all around. Not a lot to do here though apart from enjoying the scenery. A few snacks shocks in case you visit. Decent parking space is also there.

1.Okayish place for tourist attraction.
2.Surrounded by trees and horses can seen around grazing.
3.It's not a lake, It's a Pond.
4.Water is all green and filled with algae.
5.Boating is not allowed.

It’s a artificial pond renamed after Dal lake of Kashmir.
But it is not even 10% of that Kashmir dal lake .
The bed is green trees behind the pond is only a good thing there .
Else water is smelling bad and also dirty.
Not well maintained.
Just the name is there and nothing good there from my opinion, it can be maintained well and make a good tourist place.

Dal Lake is a small lake 1,775 meters above sea level situated on Macleodganj - Naddi Road in Himachal Pradesh. It will is very close to MacLeodganj bazaar. Nestling amidst lush green forests of deodar trees, it is famous for its scenic beauty and pilgrimage center. The area around Dal Lake is a natural paradise.

It's not the same as before, as I was told there. The lake is not maintained anymore, it is just on the way to sunset point, which is why people visit the place. Nothing spectacular here.

Nice place to visit. The pine trees give this place a picturesque view also which makes this place look very beautiful. But the Government has to do something to revive the lake. The lake is having mud & it looks like a daldal. The government should look into the matter of cleanliness and reviving of this lake to make it more beautiful ❤️

This place didn't really surprise me, it seems like any random lake. However, as I visited this place in July the monsoons made it look much much better 🤩
Megana Ganapathiraju — Google review
Visit this place in the month of January. It was devoid of snow. The Deodar tree line on the outline of the lake created a beautiful landscape. Only if the water level would've been a bit on the higher side, it would added on to the beauty.
Hopefully administration revives the aquifers and get a year round supply of water for the lake and beyond.
Sample space for parking across the road enroute Naddi hill station.
One time visit is more than enough.

When we visited this place just after the extended monsoon, at the end of September, we found this small lake, surrounded by lush green trees, very pretty. However, since it is an artificial lake, with controlled water, it may not look so beautiful throughout the year.
The park by the side of the lake needs better maintenance.
It is just about 2.5 km uphill from McLeod Ganj, on way to the Naddi/ Sunset View Point.

Chilling spot surrounded by cedrus forest. Lake itself is made artificially by damming the stream on the flat terrace are. The banks are turned into the park zone with walking paths, number of benches, trash bins and places for picnic. Fast food facilities are also available, but not operating throughout whole year. Lack of maintenance from municipal services leads to intensive trashing of the place.
The Tsuglagkhang Complex Dalai Lama Temple in Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh is a notable pilgrimage destination for visiting tourists and practicing Buddhists. The serene location features a monastery, stupas, museum, library and cafe among its attractions. A must visit place if you are in Dharmsala or Mcleodganj! This monastery is where Dalai Lama stays. But it will be very difficult to see him here. The main temple of the monastery is usually crowded. But you will feel the peace and calmness in the temple because of the ambience. Also, masks are mandatory for entry inside the temple!

Visiting this serene place offers a profound sense of peace and tranquility. Watching the monks engage in their daily prayers fills the atmosphere with a calming energy. Taking a leisurely walk around the exterior of the complex is a truly enchanting experience. The beauty of the surroundings, adorned with prayer wheels along the path, adds to the spiritual ambiance. Each turn of the prayer wheel symbolizes a devout wish or prayer, creating a rhythmic harmony with the surroundings. Amidst the quietude, one can't help but feel a deep connection to the spirituality and history of the place. It's a sanctuary where time seems to slow down, allowing visitors to immerse themselves fully in the moment and find solace in the presence of ancient traditions.

This complex has the Tibet memorial, namgyal monastery, official residence of H.H. Dalai Lama and various hostels/offices which are not open for normal tourist. Some basic things that one must remember here;
1. Always wear masks
2. Follow the rules written on the wall
3. Maintain silence in the temple.
The namgyal monastery was set up by H.H. Dalai Lama and other refugees who came from Tibet after China's invasion. It has the reamin of the main idol of the original namgyal monastery from Tibet. You can sit and pray outside the main temple, as there are a lot of mattresses and area for public.
One needs to maintain silence there all the time. There is drinking water available but please don't use it untill it's necessary because the residents of the complex are already facing water shortage.
Enjoy the area, pray and learn about Buddhism, Tibet and H.H. Dalai Lama.

The Norbulingka Institute is a Tibetan cultural center situated in a tranquil environment surrounded by bamboo, trees, and flowing water. Its purpose since 1988 has been to safeguard and teach traditional Tibetan art forms. The institute features several restaurants, workshops where artisans work on woodcarving, metal statuemaking, thangka painting, and embroidery. On Sundays there's no access to the site's facilities besides that it also has a shop offering traditional crafts.
A lovely place! The institute was very well maintained, had a nice doll museum and a beautiful temple. Its a great place with a peaceful temple. One can see various craft workshops in progress like wood carving, wood painting, metal sculpture, thanka painting etc. Normally they would take in students for training but not now, due to the pandemic. They have a shop also, though overpriced. I loved the temple here and the vibes. One can sit here quietly and meditate. It also has a cafe, which was quite decent. Overall, the vibe of this place is very positive and refreshing, with water fountains flowing around.♥️

Norbulingka works to preserve Tibetan art and culture. The location is beautiful and well maintained, with little touches, like a dragon spewing water, all over. You can take a guided tour to see first hand artists at work keeping ancient methods alive. The raised thread stitching (with threads wrapped around horse hair!) is something to see. The temple at the top is absolutely lovely, do sit there with your eyes closed and let the peace envelope you. There is a small restaurant to the right as you enter, we enjoyed the butter tea, sticky rice, and cheese momos. Please do visit the institute shop to buy art made by the folks who work at the institute - what better way to support them.

Norbulingka Institute is an ancient monastery dedicated to the Tibetan culture. You'll hear soft meditating Buddha hymns as soon as you enter this place. There is a huge statute of Buddha established in the heart of the institute. You can sit there and meditate for long hours.
Other than that you'll find a little shop selling all kind of Tibet clothes, souvenirs, and incense products. All the items are made in-house by local artisans.
The 'museum' in the monastery was the most fascinating part for me. The museum precisely explains the Tibet culture and several Tibet mythologies. You can read the boards around to get detailed description of every element included in the museum.
Overall, it was a knowledgeable, serene, and beautiful experience visiting Norbulingka Institute.
Lastly, don't forget to rotate the giant prayer wheels in the monastery for some good vibes.

Really great and peaceful place. They provide a guide free of cost which will help you to understand the place in a better way.
The guide started from the entrance where there were 4-5 gods about whom the guide explained well.
After that we went to see the wooden workshop where the skilled artists were creating there artwork. Don't try to touch and feel the artwork. The guide will give you a properly finished piece of art to touch and feel it.
After that we went to see Thanga painting workshops where first we went to the newbie section where the rookies were practicing the Thangka Painting then we went to the Senior section where we had to remove our shoes after that we went to another arts section where they cut different cloth pieces and sew them together to make the artwork.
After that we went to the museum where different themes and stories of Tibetan culture was represented.
After that we went to the main monastery which was very peaceful and calm. On the first floor you can see various Tibetan literature and Statues.
After that we went to the shop centre where you can buy the finished artworks from the artists.
The sound of water flowing everywhere was very soothing. A must visit place.
There are also places to eat and stay here which you can try as per your need. Washrooms were available and were clean.

Visiting Norbulingka Institute in Dharamshala was an absolute delight! This unique institute is a beacon of Tibetan arts and culture preservation, and I can't recommend it enough. Allocate 3 to 4 hours for your visit to truly immerse yourself in all it has to offer.
The ambiance here is serene and captivating, providing an unparalleled opportunity to explore and understand Tibetan culture. The presence of the monastery adds a spiritual touch, enhancing the overall experience.
One of the highlights for me was the Doll Museum, a true treasure trove of meticulously crafted Tibetan dolls. Each doll tells a story, adorned in traditional costumes that beautifully reflect the rich heritage and customs of the region. The attention to detail is simply astounding.
Moreover, witnessing local artisans in action was a memorable experience. Their craftsmanship is awe-inspiring, and it's fascinating to see them at work. The institute also boasts a classy shopping center where you can find a wide array of cultural artifacts. While the artisanal products are exquisite, it's worth noting that they can be on the pricier side.
To top it all off, the cool cafe within the institute is a perfect spot to relax and soak in the ambiance. Whether you're enjoying a cup of tea or savoring a snack, it complements the overall atmosphere wonderfully.
With an entry fee of just 50 INR, Norbulingka Institute offers incredible value for the enriching experience it provides. I highly recommend adding it to your itinerary while in Dharamshala. You won't be disappointed!

The Masroor Rock Cut Temple is a cluster of monolithic sandstone temples located in North India. These ornate structures were carved from living rock between the 8th and 10th centuries, displaying beautiful architectural carvings that have suffered severe erosion over time. The temple complex bears similarities to smaller temples at Angkor Wat in Cambodia and offers a stunning reflection when viewed from the nearby tank.
This is a rare monolithic temple of Northern India. It is a marvelous heritage of India.
Very well maintained by archeology department of Indian government.
Tickets can be purchased online only.
Also the temple complex is very best and clean. 2 3 stalls out side for food and beverages.

A peaceful tranquil place that gives you a view that will be with you for life. The view of the temple from across the lake is the best. While it can get really hot during peak summer the way we experienced in June 22, however if you carry an umbrella, you can walk around without much fatigue.
There is plenty of shade to sit and enjoy the view. You can also walk beyond the lake to enjoy some Maggi or other quick snacks or biscuits or soft drinks.
Photo options are a plenty.
Overall a place worth going to and spending at least couple of hours to soak in the peace and awe of the view and wonder about how many centuries back people would have carved out these structures and what would've motivated them to do it.

Surely a masterpiece of rock art. Do not miss if you pass from nearby area. In these photos you can see temple rock from behind. You need to buy tickets by scanning a QR code at temple premises so make sure your UPI or payments apps are working fine.

Amazing to see such an old structure with intricate sculptures. There is a lot of erosion though. There is no guide to help you appreciate the place better.
Many structures are glued together or reinforced to help stay in shape.
Going up the stairs gets you nice view of the scenery around as well as the top view of the temples.
Well spent hour.

Beautiful place. Not known too much as it is quite a distance from the main city. But the journey was worth it. The rock cut temples show our rich heritage and depicts the kind of art we had in our country. It is partially destroyed due to an earthquake in 1905 but the remaining part is well maintained. However food facilitates not close by so don't plan this visit so as to overlap with lunch times.

The Rock Cut Temples of Masroor, located in the Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh, India, are an impressive architectural marvel dating back to the 8th century. Carved out of a single rock, these temples exhibit intricate detailing and craftsmanship, reminiscent of classical Indian architecture.
Visitors are often awe-struck by the grandeur of the temple complex, which consists of a group of rock-cut temples dedicated to various Hindu deities, primarily Lord Shiva. The main temple, dedicated to Shiva, features a towering shikhara (spire) and intricately carved bas-reliefs depicting scenes from Hindu mythology.
While the temples have suffered some damage over the centuries due to natural erosion and earthquakes, they continue to stand as a testament to the skill and dedication of the artisans who created them.
Visitors to the Rock Cut Temples of Masroor can expect a serene and picturesque setting amidst the backdrop of the Dhauladhar mountain range. The site offers opportunities for exploration and photography, making it a must-visit destination for history enthusiasts and travelers exploring the rich cultural heritage of Himachal Pradesh. However, accessibility and infrastructure around the site may be limited, so visitors should plan accordingly.

A hidden beauty far away from all the limelight. Takes about 2hrs to reach from Dharmashala by car. No bus routes available nearby. A digital entry fee directly payable through app( no cash taken). This temple is in complete ruins post a massive earthquake in 1800’s. No much history is known, no guides available. But the massive ruins speaks for itself the magnificent temple that existed earlier. A pond is beautifully constructed in front, which still has certain ruins beneath it. Apart from the ruins, the view of the temple from the top is heart breaking! However, the sunset view is spectacular at the top!

This Temple is a truly breathtaking site to behold. The intricate carvings and stunning architecture of this temple leave visitors in awe of its beauty and history.
The temple, located in the state of Himachal Pradesh, is believed to have been built during the 8th century by the Pandavas. It is said to have been carved out of a single rock, which is a testament to the incredible skill and craftsmanship of its builders.
The intricate details etched into the walls and pillars of the temple depict various gods and goddesses, mythological scenes, and celestial beings. The beauty and intricacy of these carvings are truly awe-inspiring.
Visiting the Rock Cut Temple Masroor is an experience that will stay with you for a long time. The peaceful surroundings and beauty of the temple offer a spiritual and serene atmosphere that is hard to find elsewhere. I highly recommend visiting this extraordinary site if you are in the area.

Must visit if you are in Kangra.
Awesome architecture of 8th century. Temples cut out of single rock.
Rs. 20 entry ticket per head to be bought online. Ancient Hindu temples. It's ASI protected monument.
Very well maintained in such a remote place.
Approach road to the temple is narrow and not good. Drive slowly and carefully. Could see landslide on the way.
Parking and a shop at the gate for snacks, tea etc. Washroom near entrance.

This temple is a marvelous heritage of India. This is a rare monolithic temple of Northern India. The temple is built by carving a single type of stone and it's beautiful.
Entry fee is just Rs 20 and tickets can be purchased only via the online method for which there is a personal to help. I enjoyed my visit here and would recommend this place.
Everything is great apart from the lake. The lake needs to be cleaned as it's very dirty and you can see plastic and dead fish floating.

Quite clean, nice, beautiful, & calm place to visit. You have to buy a ticket online to visit the temple & then you can go inside. It's a simple temple but, the artistry of cutting a single rock is an awesome experience.

Very beautiful rock cut temples that were partially destroyed by the 1905 earth quake. All the temples were defaced and some faces missing maybe done during the mughal rule. Not sure though. Take 1.5 hour to reach here from Dharamshala by car. The place is overall clean and has a nice tea stall outside. Worth the visit if you're interested in history

Recently explored Masroor Rock Cut Temple (11-11-23) – a hidden gem for a family picnic. Even during the Diwali Festive Season, the serene atmosphere prevailed with fewer crowds. The temple, a marvel of ancient architecture, left me in awe. The journey from Kangra unfolded breathtaking mountain views, riverside scenery, and enchanting pine forests. The road, though occasionally bumpy due to recent heavy rains, was generally well-maintained.
Entrance fees were surprisingly low, and the online ticketing process, facilitated by the attentive guard, ensured a smooth experience. The strategically located restroom atop a hillock provided not only convenience but also a panoramic view of the surroundings. Cleanliness was a pleasant surprise.
A quaint eatery near the temple offered delightful treats – from scrumptious Vegetable Maggie and momos to an outstanding pizza. The pizza, in particular, was a standout. I cherished nearly two hours in this picturesque setting, perfect for both photography enthusiasts and those seeking a relaxed picnic spot. Masroor Rock Cut Temple is not just a place; it's a reason to take pride in our rich heritage.

The Bahu Fort is a historic fort in the city of Jammu, Jammu and Kashmir. Constructed on the banks on Tawi River, the ancient fort is believed to be constructed by Rajput Raja Bahulochan around 3,000 years ago. It is believed that the first renovation of this fort was undertaken during Dogra Rule in 18th century. The fort is a religious place, and within its precincts has a temple dedicated to the Hindu goddess Kali. The temple is known locally as the "Bawe Wali Mata temple".The building of the city of Jammu and the Bahu Fort are linked to a legend. Raja Jambu Lochan, when on a hunting trip, witnessed a curious scene of a tiger and a goat drinking water side by side at the same location in the Tawi River, without the tiger attacking. The Raja considered this a divine direction to establish his new capital here, as the scene he witnessed at this site represented peaceful coexistence. His brother, Bahu Lochan, is credited with building the fort.
The fort is located on a high plateau land overlooking the Tawi River on its rocky left bank with an average elevation of 325m. The forest area that surrounds the fort has been developed into a well laid out park called the "Bagh-e-Bahu", from where a commanding view of the city of Jammu could be seen. The garden attracts a large number of visitors.[1]
The fort, the temple, and the Bagh-e-Bahu garden are located 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) from the Jammu city centre. The city road to Surinsar was widened for providing approach to an Oil drilling exploration project. However, this project was shelved and consequently the widened new road provided better access to the fort and the temple, and the number of visitors to these places has since increased.
The fort structure is located at an elevation of 325 metres (1,066 ft), opposite to the old town of Jammu. The fortified structure has thick walls made of sandstones built with lime and brick mortar. It has eight octagonal towers or turrets connected by thick walls. The towers have enclosures to house guards. The main entry is fit to allow passage of elephants into the fort. A water tank with access for pilgrims to take bath is located on the left entry into the fort. This tank or pond is 6.1× in size and has a water depth of 4.6 metres (15 ft). A pyramidal structure is on the right flank (with very thick walls to withstand any gun attack) of the fort was an ammunition store. An underground chamber here was used a prison. This chamber has a secret exit to escape from the fort in case of any emergencies. The first floor is lavishly built with arches and decorated with floral designs like a Baradari or a palace.
To the right of the temple, there are a few halls which were used in the past as assembly halls and offices of the Quiledar (master of the fort). However, they are not maintained at all. The royal stables were also located within this fort. Substantial renovation and additions to attract visitors have been added during recent years.
The earliest historical recorded link to the fort is that of Raja Jambu Lochan and his brother Bahu Lochan, sons of a powerful ruler Agnigarbha II of the Jammu dynasty of Suryavanshi kings. Bahu, the eldest of Agnigarbha's 18 sons, is credited with establishing the Jammu city and building the fort. The earlier fort structure was modified over the years to a stronger fortified structure. The present fort was rebuilt, probably at the same location as the ancient fort, by Autar Dev, the grandson of King Kapoor Dev in 1585. Over the years the fort underwent demolitions and reconstructions from time to time, until during Sikh Empire the then new Governor/Raja of Jammu Maharaja Gulab Singh reconstructed the present fort in the 19th century, which was further refurbished during the rule of Maharaja Ranbir Singh. They first established temples for their tutelary deities; the image of Mahakali deity in the temple in the fort was brought from Ayodhya

Chintpurni Temple is located around 80 km from Dharamsala. The presiding deity is Goddess Chintpurni, who is said to remove worries, and is represented by a pindi (round stone idol). Legend has it that when Lord Vishnu severed Maa Sati's body in 51 parts to end Lord Shiva's dance of cosmic destruction, the parts got scattered over different places in India. Park the car in government parking place, take taxi that charge 200 per trip. Taxi drop point is gate no. 2.
Only taxis are allowed to reach at gate no.2.
Gate number 2 is near to the temple and with very less steps. It was very comfortable for MIL who has knees problem.

Mata Chintpurni is a very popular temple in the Hindu community. A lot of people visit daily to seek the blessings of Mata Rani.
The temple is very well organized and the people management is amazing. There are two parking available and I would suggest parking your vehicle in the first parking which is the government one as the charges are quite low and you can get a darshan token from there.
The temple has started the lift, which wants to go directly in front of the darbar. The lift is free for old age people and handicapped people. But others have to pay a fee of 1100/- to avail of this service. Token for the loft is available is first parking only.

Ancient origin
When Lord Vishnu severed the burning body of Maa Sati into 51 pieces so that Lord Shiva would calm down and stop his Tandava, the pieces were scattered over various places in the Indian subcontinent. It is believed that Sati's head fell at this place and is thus considered one of the most important of the 51 Shakti Peethas.
The goddess residing in Chintpurni is also known by the name of Chhinnamastika. According to Markandeya Purana, goddess Chandi defeated the demons after a fierce battle but two of her yogini emanations (Jaya and Vijaya) were still thirsty for more blood. Goddess Chandi cut off her own head to quench Jaya and Vijaya's thirst for more blood.
She is usually shown holding her own severed head in her hand, drinking one stream of blood spurting from the arteries in her neck, while at her side are two naked yoginis, each of whom drinks another stream of blood.
Chhinnamasta, the headless goddess, is the Great Cosmic Power who helps the sincere and devoted yogi to dissolve his or her mind, including all the preconceived ideas, attachments and habits into the Pure Divine Consciousness. Cutting off the head suggests the separation of the mind from the body, that is the freedom of the consciousness from the material confines of the physical body.
According to Puranic traditions, Chhinnamastika Mata will be protected by Shiva – Rudra Mahadev in the four directions. There are four Shiva temples – Kaleshwar Mahadev in the east, Narayhana Mahadev in the west, Muchkund Mahadev in the north and Shiva Bari in the south – which are nearly equidistant from Chintpurni. This also confirms Chintpurni as the abode of Maa Chhinnamastika.

Chintpurni Temple is dedicated to Mata Chintpurni Devi who is also at times referred to as Mata Chinnamasta. Chinna means ‘without’ and Masta stands for ‘Head’.
Out of all the pieces, it is believed that Maa Sati’s head fell here, making it one of the most important Shaktipeeth. Mata Chintpurni Devi is a symbol of self-sacrifice and according to legend, she is protected by Lord Shiva in the four directions. As such, there are four temples surrounding the main temple. Kaleshwar Mahadev is present in the east, Narayhana Mahadev is found in the west, Shiva Bari in the south, and Muchkund Mahadev in the north.

The experience was good, albeit a few things could have been better - I went with a small baby in a pram, and had to constantly lift the pram as there are no pathways for wheels, it's possible for people with wheelchairs to have similar problems so they should fix this. Another thing is that they don't let us back in after we leave, I get that there is a certain way, but we just left to keep something in the car, and couldn't come back in which was a major let down. All in all, a wonderful experience to witness authentic punjabi culture. I would definitely recommend visiting, but rather come at night than day as in day you can only click pictures and see statues and all, whereas in the night there are shows and activities like pottery wheel going on .

Its a historical place, very well maintained, salute to the martyr, it's a symbol of Barbaric act by British on innocent Indians. Still we remember our brothers and sisters and little ones who lost their life in protecting the motherland.

Jallianwala Bagh is a public garden in the city of Amritsar, Punjab, India. It is a historical site that commemorates the tragic event of the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre, which took place on April 13, 1919. The incident involved the British Army opening fire on a peaceful gathering of unarmed civilians, resulting in the deaths of hundreds of people. Today, Jallianwala Bagh serves as a memorial to those who lost their lives in the massacre. Visitors can see bullet holes in the walls and learn about the history of the event through exhibits and audio-visual presentations. The garden also features a flame of eternal freedom, which burns in memory of the victims.
While the Jallianwala Bagh is a somber and emotionally charged site, it is an important reminder of India's struggle for independence and the sacrifices made by its people. It is a must-visit destination for anyone interested in Indian history and culture. However, visitors should be prepared for the heavy crowds and long lines, as this site is a popular tourist attraction. Overall, the Jallianwala Bagh is a moving and significant place that leaves a lasting impression on all who visit.

The place is obviously a very important one if we talk about our history. The complex is quite huge in terms of its area. There are 3-4 one storey cottages type buildings which are used as a museum. There are few places which are preserved very well and still reminds of that era. The place was beautiful decorated with plants n gardening. Entry is free for everyone.

Beautiful memorial park to visit. Don't need tickets to visit the place. It's situated in front of golden temple. One can also see those bullet marks on the wall. Can read those heartbreaking story of that black day and can have a glimpse of the hard path of our ancestors had to go through for a free India.
It is nearby to Golden temple, so whenever you go to visit the Golden Temple you may go before an hour to visit Jalianwala Bagh.

Excellent way to pay a tribute to the martyrs. The shows projected at each of the galleries gave a clear account of the happenings in the Bagh. The light show started at 7 p.m. as we visited during summer and lasted for around 30 minutes. During winter the timing for the light show varies. It is a very noble service and the security guards are very polite and agile. Respect and admire the way the Bagh has been maintained.
One suggestion- They should keep a minimal entry fee as it is one of the tourist attractions with no offense intended to the authorities.

Jallianwala Bagh is a historically significant place located in Amritsar, Punjab, India. It is a public garden that serves as a memorial to the Jallianwala Bagh massacre, which took place on April 13, 1919. The incident involved the British Indian Army opening fire on a crowd of peaceful protesters, resulting in the death of hundreds of innocent people.
Jallianwala Bagh holds immense importance in India's struggle for independence and is a symbol of the brutalities committed during British colonial rule. The massacre was a turning point in India's fight for freedom, fueling public outrage and strengthening the resolve of nationalists to seek independence from British rule.
Visiting Jallianwala Bagh can be a somber and reflective experience. The garden has been preserved as a memorial, and it contains several important elements. The Martyrs' Well, where many people jumped to escape the gunfire, stands as a testament to the tragedy. The bullet marks on the walls are still visible, serving as a reminder of the brutal act that took place.

The memorial also houses a museum that displays historical photographs, documents, and accounts of the incident, providing visitors with a deeper understanding of the tragic event.
When visiting Jallianwala Bagh, it is common for visitors to pay their respects, offer prayers, and spend some time in reflection. The place has a serene atmosphere despite its tragic past, and it holds great significance for people seeking to connect with the history of India's struggle for independence.
Overall, Jallianwala Bagh is an important historical site that offers visitors an opportunity to learn about and remember a dark chapter in India's history. It serves as a reminder of the sacrifices made by those who fought for freedom and is a place for reflection and remembrance.

Mixed feelings about the place. The history is sad, but the place has been done up nicely as a memorial. However, it has become a tourist place and feel that we do not deserve the freedom and sacrifice. Unruly and noisy crowd that is interested only clicking pictures and does not go with the spirit of the memorial.

This historical place ,we all are aware of ..it would be nicer ,if there is a sacred place or a temple where people can offer their prayers to the deceased souls, to offer respect to them. We can't imagine what they must have gone through. Also some.benches in the garden park also should be kept for senior citizens n children. I.must say though, that its maintained nicely .

There is a lot of sentimental value attached to this historical place but most forget that they are inside a memorial where mass murder took place, I found most busy taking selfies making reels with pouts and various funny poses. Taking pictures is not a crime but being respectful to the attached sentiments is very important. One other problem with the place is that except the well, everything appeared to have been altered to give a face uplift. Had it been maintained in its original state it would have given goosebumps to all those who visit.

If you are in Amritsar, this is a must visit place. Everyone knows about the history this place holds, but to be there can give you goosebumps. But to be very Frank, mostly it feels like a normal park. It should have been maintained the way it was. There are some nice things to witness like the well and the walls with bullet marks. The museum is also decent. But the overall wibe is missing. I am giving 5 stars because of the rich history of the place, otherwise I would have given 3.

Visiting Jallianwala Bagh in Amritsar was an emotionally profound and historically significant experience. Stepping into this iconic monument, I was immediately transported back to one of the darkest chapters in Indian history.
The memorial stands as a somber reminder of the tragic events that unfolded on April 13, 1919. Walking through the narrow entrance, I could feel the weight of the past bearing down on me as I traced the footsteps of those who gathered here seeking refuge and protesting against oppressive British rule.
The bullet marks on the walls and the well into which many innocent lives were lost serve as poignant reminders of the brutality that occurred within these walls. Standing in the Martyrs' Gallery, I was moved by the photographs and artifacts that document the sacrifices made by countless individuals who laid down their lives for the cause of freedom.
Despite the solemn atmosphere, there is also a sense of resilience and hope that permeates the air. The beautifully landscaped gardens offer a peaceful respite amidst the echoes of history, allowing visitors to reflect on the past while looking towards a brighter future.
The monument is impeccably maintained, and the informative signage provides valuable insights into the events that transpired here. The presence of knowledgeable guides further enhances the visitor experience, offering valuable context and answering any questions visitors may have.
In conclusion, a visit to Jallianwala Bagh is not just a sightseeing excursion but a journey through time that leaves a lasting impact on the soul. It is a place of remembrance, reflection, and reverence—a testament to the indomitable spirit of the Indian people in the face of adversity. I highly recommend adding this historic landmark to your itinerary when visiting Amritsar.
The Akal Takht Gurudwara is the holiest Sikh place of worship and forms part of the religious establishment known as the Takht. The Takht is a seat of temporal and spiritual authority for Sikhs. It is also known as the "Throne of timeless one." The gurudwara functions as a place where Sikhs can come to resolve sequential issues.
One of the must visit holy places in amristar. Neatly maintained. Shoe and baggage keeping facilities available at free. Jallianwalla is near this temple. Most traditional place for Punjabi. The best time to visit is in the evening and it will be looking stunning. Entry is always free..

The Akal Takht ("Throne of the Timeless One") is one of five takhts (seats of power) of the Sikhs. It is located in the Darbar Sahib (Golden Temple) complex in Amritsar, Punjab, India. The Akal Takht (originally called Akal Bunga) was built by Shri Guru Hargobind Ji as a place of justice and consideration of temporal issues; the highest seat of earthly authority of the Khalsa (the collective body of the Sikhs) and the place of the Jathedar, the highest spokesman of the Sikhs.
Originally known as Akal Bunga, the building directly opposite the Harmandir Sahib was founded by sixth Sikh Guru, Guru Hargobind, as a symbol of political sovereignty and where spiritual and temporal concerns of the Sikh people could be addressed. Along with Baba Buddha and Bhai Gurdas, the sixth Sikh Guru built a 9-foot-high concrete slab. When Guru Hargobind revealed the platform on 15 June 1606, he put on two swords: one indicated his spiritual authority (piri) and the other, his temporal authority (miri).
The Akal Takht was built on a site where there existed only a high mound of earth across a wide-open space. It was a place where Guru Hargobind played as a child. The original Takht was a simple platform, 3.5 metres (10ft) high, on which Guru Hargobind would sit in court to receive petitions and administer justice. He was surrounded by insignia of royalty such as the parasol and the flywhisk. Later, there was an open-air semi-circular structure built on marble pillars and a gilded interior section. There were also painted wall panels depicting Europeans.
The modern building is a five-story structure with marble inlay and a gold-leafed dome. Three of the stories were added by Ranjit Singh in the 1700s.

Akal Takht serves as one of the five seats of Sikh religious authority. Akal which means the ‘Timeless One’ while Takht means ‘the throne’. Translated, Akal Takht means the ‘Throne of the Immortal’. It is also the central altar for the Sikh political assembly. Shri Guru Hargobind Singh laid the foundation stone of the Akal Takht building in 1605.
The building faces the Darshini Deorhi, which leads to the Golden Temple. Originally the Akal Takht was just 3.5 metres higher from the ground. Today, it’s a 5 storey building with gold leafed dome.

When Guru Hargobind revealed the platform on 15 June 1606, he put on two swords: one indicated his spiritual authority (piri) and the other, his temporal authority (miri). According to Kanwarjit Singh Kang, the platform raised by Guru Hargobind was built in 1609, a later dating.
The first-ever structure erected on the premises was an open brick platform consecrated by Guru Hargobind. Later, a hall would be erected at the site.
In the 18th century, Ahmed Shah Abdali and Massa Rangar led a series of attacks on the Akal Takht and Harmandir Sahib. Takht which is on the first floor was rebuilt in brick in 1774, under Sultan-ul-Qaum Jassa Singh Ahluwalia (1718–1783) – the leader of the Sikh Confederacy in Punjab. The renovations during the 18th century gave the building a "better shape". An Udasi mahant by the name of Pritam Das (founder of Akhara Sangalwara, also located nearby) was responsible for originally installing the dual Nishan Sahibs at the Akal Takht.
Hari Singh Nalwa, a general of Maharaja Ranjit Singh, decorated the Akal Takht with gold and is responsible for adding the golden dome at the top of the edifice. Maharaja Ranjit Singh's revamping of the building in the first half of the 19th century raised the number of stories of the structure to five. The murals that had existed in the original building had been painted around the mid-19th century. There were murals decorating the walls of the first and second stories.

The Akal Takht, meaning throne of the timeless one, is one of five takhts of the Sikhs. It is located in the Harmandir Sahib complex in Amritsar, Punjab.
Akal Takhat Sahib means Eternal Throne. It is also part of the Golden Temple complex in Amritsar.
It stood as a symbol of political bulwark against the MughalEmperors in the 17th and 18th century. Various attacks on the Akal Takhat and Harimandir Sahib have been led in past by Ahmed Shah Abdali and Massa Rangar in the 18 century. On June 4, 1984, the Indian Army did more than just damage the outer facade of the Akal Takhat, they destroyed the sancitity of the Akal Takht with tanks and reduced it to rubble, while attempting to take out Sikh militants in a controversial military operation known as Operation Bluestar.
It is the most supreme of all the Takhats. There are four other takhatsestablished by the panth (community) during the last century:
Keshgarh Sahib (Anandpur)
Patna Sahib
Hazur Sahib
Damdama Sahib
Often, Amritsar is considered a takht.
The Jathedar of the Akal Takhat is the highest spokesperson of the Sikh Panth and is meant to be a spiritual leader without control or influence from any outside, politically motivated sources. The present jathedar is Bhai Joginder Singh Vedanti.

The Dharamshala was good, but something I didn't like was the Khatmal on the beds, I couldn't sleep the whole night and had to change the room the next day. My visit was pretty good besides the room issue. There is a restaurant near Dharmashala and a sweet shop as well. The restaurant is just a few steps away from the Dharamshala and its Chhole Bhature prepared from Desi Ghee. The taste and everything is undefined. The purity, my experience was the best about the food and other shops. It's worth the time and money. It is affordable, no offence. I recommend the Rasmalai and chhole bhature! Whenever you go to Amritsar or visit The Golden Temple, make sure you grab a bite of these. May Guru Nanak Ji Bless You!

Durgiana Temple is a famous Hindu temple located in Amritsar, in an Indian state called Punjab. This temple was built in the honour of Goddess Durga, hence the name Durgiana Temple. You can also find the idols of Lord Vishnu, who is known as the protector of the world and Goddess Lakshmi who is known as the goddess of wealth in this temple. The architecture style of the Durgiana Temple is similar to the style of the Golden Temple which is a Gurudwara located in the same city. Both temples hold an equal amount of importance in the city in terms of worship. The Durgiana Temple is also known as Sitla Mandir, Lakshmi Narayan Temple and Durga Tirath temple amongst the locals in Punjab.
According to Hindu mythology, many incidences took place in this temple wherein one incidence Lava and Kusha (Children of Lord Rama) tied Lord Hanuman to a tree in the temple as a challenge. And in another incidence, it is said that the grandson of Lord Surya, Iksvaku, had performed a number of yagyas in the same area. Therefore, according to Hindu Mythology, the land of Durgiana Temple is considered as a holy land. Since the Durgiana Temple is built in the middle of the sacred lake, it is said that the temple holds holy power which helps people with their problems. Since there are many temples located in the city of Amritsar, it is the best city to be in the list of your pilgrimage tours. It is a brilliantly built temple.

A lovely place to spend an evening

Sher-e-Punjab : the tickets are available before 4pm only is for ₹199. This includes Sher-e-Punjab (7D show), access to interior of the fort.
Whistling walls : The tickets are available all day and is for ₹199. This includes Whistling walls, a laser show, and access to the fort

Timings and other: Whistling walls starts only after 8:15pm so plan accordingly. The ticket counter is across the street and post that you can get entry tickets.

I don't like it at all. I don't get why people have rated this so high. Overpriced place. More beautiful forts and places can be visited for free. This is taking 50 rupees just to enter the place. That also with arguments with the ticket counter girl. They were saying that only 300 rupees ticket is there and you've to buy the show and games ticket.
Not worth at all. Very average activities and games and shows are there. I won't recommend anyone to waste their money.

The place is good but not verses the price. It's overpriced. With the ticket of 450, you can watch 7D and a very short camel ride. They don't charge for kids below 5 years, but inside, nothing is free for the kid. Even camel rides are not free for kids they will charge Rs.50 for the same. If you go for 7D, they will not offer the 3D glass to wear. You have to fight for it.
7D show was good.. one can enjoy a nice evening there.. 2 Seater Cycle Ride is free, but they should have multiple cycles.. otherwise, you end up with a round or so..
VR game was very good we all enjoyed it..
Rs. 50 is the charge for the polo cart, which takes you from the ticket counter to the fort. If you can walk, then it's actually no need. The main area is not that far..
Overall, good..

It's a heritage place very well maintained l, we couldn't catch the light show but we witnessed the 7D show and it's a must experience. The show is charged 200 per head and tells about how the king became the king he is remembered for. At the end there is a cartoon 7D show which you can choose to skip but the kids will enjoy this.

Beautiful place. Has a rich heritage and history but more development is needed. The experience feels incomplete. Maybe the reason is that this was still under the Indian Army till 2018 and just recently had been developed as a tourist destination and then the COVID pandemic hit in 2020. Most of the places like the Taksal etc were closed and the places which were open did not have people in them. There was a cultural show in the evening but the stage was far from the place the audience was made to sit and there was not enough lighting so the people could not have a proper look at the shows. The laser light show was decent and worth seeing. But this place is historically very important and it deserves much more development.

Great historic place, firstly I was thinking that the ticket is costly but after the experience, it is really worth it . The activities like horse riding/camel riding, games, 7d show and bicycle are included. You also experience live Bhangra here with it weapon showcase is also there.

We enjoyed our visit to fort. 450/- is the lowest entry ticket which includes fort entry, live performance of Bhangra and Gidda, laser show and some fun activities like couple bicycle, hoverboard ride, horse/camel ride, archery, basketball, dart etc..
If you pay 600/- then you get access to 7D show which is fun🤩 add another 150/- and you’ll get your unlimited maharaja thali meal included in the same.
We took 750/- ticket per head and enjoyed the fort experience thoroughly.
We entered around 6:30 and were done by 9-9:30/-pm.
You might need assistance to ask what to do when, you can check the same with volunteers. 8pm is 7D show and 7:30 is laser show.

A public garden centrally located in Ludhiana. I pove this place for it's not too big but they have made a jogging track, cycling track, adventure activities for kids, a small amusement area for kids, a toy train goes around the park, and they have a small ampi area where localities gather in evening to sing. Never seen a park with so much of activities all together

The revamped Rakh Bagh is far better than what it used to be. It has now becoming a sort of hangout / picnic spot for locals who don't want to spend too much or want to avoid the malls. The facilities for children like the toy train and other games are decent. But on weekends you will definitely find this place to be overcrowded so its avoidable......there is a great fun here

Rakh bag is a nice place for amusement of family, children or couples. It is combination of green garden and playing place for kids. A nice point where where number of pegions can be seen flying and eating.
But sorry to say garden is deprived of maintenance.. Green grass is there but without proper mowing or cutting. No cleanliness at the sitting places either on grassy area or cemented benches.
For kids, swings are there but are in very bad conditions. Slider is broken which can cause injury to any toddler.

Sri Nanaksar Gurdwara is situated in the Ludhiana district of Punjab and is located approximately five miles from the city of Jagraon along the road from Ludhiana to Moga and Ferozpur. The sacred beginnings of Nanaksar began over a hundred-years ago as a simple hut; humbled by its natural surroundings amongst the thick of the jungle. This location was specifically chosen by the Holy Saint, Baba Nand Singh Ji as it personified a spiritual retreat where one could move to escape the misguidance of the world, and concentrate on the sole treasure of Naam Simran.
Baba Nand Singh Ji was born on the Pooranmashi of month Kathak (November) in 1870 in village Sherpura, Tehsil Jagraon, Distt Ludhiana. His father’s name was Sardar Jai Singh Ji and his mother’s name was Mata Sada Kaur Ji. Even as a child, Baba Nand Singh Ji was extremely pious and his urge for devotional worship continuously saw him escape all worldly measures and partake solely in meditating the holy name of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji through recitations of Sahib Shri Guru Granth Sahib Ji.
Baba Nand Singh Ji mastered selfless sacrifice, and devoted his existence to prolonged meditations and holy service. Baba Nand Singh Ji placed the utmost importance on the need for contemplation and never placed a single regard on weather conditions or how safe the local terrain was before embarking on his spiritual retreats. Furthermore, he never worried for worldly comforts such as food or water and solely believed that everything was in Waheguru’s hukam. This belief was principled on the thought that since he was devoting and meditating solely on the name of a higher being, all worldly requirements should

The Gurudwara was established by Baba Nand Singh Ji for the social welfare of the Sikh community. They wanted to spread the message of our all 10 Guru's through our Holy book Gurugarnth Sahib. Moreover, whenever you will visit here you will find artificial Tigers & Lions everywhere, the reason behind the wild animals used to come here to listen the Gurubani and train frequently stopped nearby railways line without any stopage ( locals beliefs). Mesmerizing...!!

As per some historical documents, It was built in 1975 by Baba (Sant) Nand Singh with the help of the devotees .
They meditated here for a long. After him, baba Isher Singh ji served here.
This Gurudwara sahib is architectured very beautifully. It is a beautiful structure with a huge marble-floored hall and sanctum at its end.
The main festivals celebrated here are Prakash divas of Guru Nanak Dev Ji,Barsi of Baba Nand Singh ji and Jor Mela is conducted very enthusiastically on these occasions , which attracts sangat from all over.
Also there used to be huge devotees on every Fool Moon (Puranima/ puranmaasi) every month.
Main unique point of this religious place is that, not even a single panny (rupee) is given(as Charhawa) by devotees, only fruits, eatable things are given by devotees and taken as parshad.

Junagadh fort is a magnificent piece of art and architecture, there is no doubt in that. However, people who come from heritage cities having forts/temples might not find it unparalleled. Also, since this is a major tourist attraction of bikaner, it is extremely crowded and exorbitantly expensive. I loved the palace .

Some part of this hot husband converted to museum and open for general visitors. This museum also provide guides with its entry tickets of rupees 100. Worth visiting this place as history speaks here itself.

A huge beautiful and neatly maintained fort amidst the city.
A must go place and they give a free guide at the entrance for which you might have to wait for a few mins.
Each section of the fort is very well maintained and has a different color.
The fort will show up in different colors for each section like Anup Mahel, Rani mahel etc.
A lot of history with this fort which you must read through.
The Rajas at that time hosted a lot of European guests so you will see the European influences in the designing and the cutlery they used.
The fort has a huge ground, temples, lawn, museum , cafe to explore.

Another marvel of our glorious history. Beautiful architecture as expected from our forts of India. It was such a good experience to know about the history of the kings of Bikaner. The fort displays a vast collection of the weapons used in their times, which is supposed to be the largest showcase in any fort . The paintings on the walls& ceilings take your breath away. One of the most beautiful and well preserved fort Ive ever seen. If one is in Bikaner then this place is a must to explore. The overall construction quality and the staff is very nice. The fort is still owned by the Royal Family of Bikaner and they have kept the fort open for tourist visitors.
There are two options to explore the fort. One is a free guide and the other one is a paid guide (INR 400/-).
The entry fee for the fort is 50/- each. They charge separately in case one wants to take a video. Photographs are free.
There is car parking facility available here as well which costs 20/-.
I would definitely recommend visiting this fort.

Junagarh fort visit is one of the best historical monument experiences of my life.
It has a lifetime of story and generations of transition, glory, culture and history engraved on its walls.
It represents the 3 phases of the country's great evolution. First being the transport evolution, second, the trade flow transition and third is power possession phase achieved after many battles and struggles.
The cool thing is, this has been depicted on the walls of the fort.
Hats off to the archeological restoration team of India, they have done a wonderful job to preserve history at its best.
Liked how each segment and area of the fort is kept accessible yet preserved for the general public.
The ticket is ₹100/- for Indian citizens and ₹250/- for international visitors.
Videography is chargeable by ₹200/- for the entire visit but you can click pictures throughout the premises without paying any charges.
Also, the fort management provides a guide for the tour, in a group of 10 people, so, you don't need to take a guide along with you.
However, you can ask for a separate guide, which is obviously chargeable.
The place is amazing and a must visit.
Also, there is a 'Prachina' museum which has a ₹50/- charge and contains the life relics of the kings and their families.
It took almost 2.5hr along with the museum visit to complete our tour.
There is a cafe near the museum which has a few good eateries to offer.
There is one toilet just outside the fort main entrance and it is nice and clean.
Fort management has kept the place very fine.
Also, one of the cool things, the 4 wheeler parking is inside the fort, so you can take your car inside the fort and park near the main entrance.
Overall it's a 5 star place to visit and a great experience.

• One of the oldest and very well maintained fort in Rajasthan •This fort exhibits rich architecture and grandeur life of the royals •

While in Bikaner, this is a "must visit". This is the only famous fort in Rajasthan which is not on the top of a hill.
Reaching here is not difficult and there is vehicle parking space inside the premises. It is well maintained with some areas restored well. The evolution of the fort with its architecture evolving over generations can be visualised within 2 hours.
The crown piece of the fort is undoubtedly the oldest invaluable sandalwood throne dating back to the Rathodes (from Kannauj to Bikaner).
Our visit was made memorable by our guide whom we met oafter purchasing entry tickets eat INR 100 per person.eBesides being proficient in Hindi, English and French, he has a thorough understanding of the history of Bikaner and its culture. With a keen eye for best spots for memorable snaps, he captured our trip in photographs for us in addition. On further enquiring he offered to guide us to authentic Rajasthani food and for shopping. Finally we relieved him only in the evening. The day turned out to be a fully packed, eventful and a memorable one thanks to his help.

It showcases the rich heritage of the Rajasthani rulers.

This fort is also known as the old fort for the name epithet 'Juna' means 'old'.
Comparatively this fort is smaller than the others in other cities such as the Mehrangarh fort or the City palace.
A large section of the fort is closed for the public. Plenty of restoration is due in several sections and walls show obvious signs of aging and disrepair.
The armoury section occupies most of the display and then the state rooms and royal regalia.
Overall a satisfactory experience.

Intriguing and beautiful fort. Neat and clean without any pigeon or bats nuisance.
Parking area is big but we went by auto as it is surrounded by market place.
Ticket is for 100rs for adults and 50rs for children below 12 yrs of age.
There is a waiting area with many seats near the ticket counter where we have to wait after buying the ticket. Once there were close to 20 to 25 people, we are escorted by the guide inside who is a fort staff. We do not have to pay separately to guide.
Fort is beautiful with amazing artwork. Many movies including Manikarnika has been shot here.
Musuem is also good. Seperate ticket is needed to visit museum. Just outside the museum, a local painter has a shop. We bought couple of painting. He sells good paintings at a very reasonable price.

Only place so it is unique that's y giving 4 star but need lot of improvisation when tourist are visiting. There can be proper way to go from one site to another. There can be a compulsory guide to explain the things. There can be proper shops to buy the products. I was expecting a lot but got disappointed, got confused where to go what site is what, lot of stray dogs running, didn't understand anything about the camels present there. My suggestion is increase the price and make it a tourist attraction.

We are foreigners so had to pay 200r, the centre itself is very small and almost no signage
There is a stable with a number of bull camels, then young males, an enclosure for adult females with a dairy to milk them, and a pen with young camels. They have all the different species of camels there. They do research and run breeding programs, but all you can see are just lots of camels and be charged a lot for that.
We were finished in under 15 minutes.
You can also buy camel products and get a camel ride.
Not worth it.

Seth Bhandasar Jain Temple is a renowned temple from the 15th century known for its intricate architecture, stone carvings, and wall paintings. It is one of two prominent Jain temples in Bikaner and stands out due to its vibrant yellow-stone carving and floral arabesques on the pillars. The temple interior depicts the lives of the 24 tirthankars with stunning depictions.
Love the internal architecture of the temple. You can take photos here but not videos. You'll amaze with the architecture. Next to Jain temple, there is Laxmi nath temple, this is also a good temple to visit. Both the places are easily accessible.

So, the coolest thing about Seth Bhandasar Jain Temple is its foundation – get this, it's made from a mix of ghee and limestone! How wild is that? The locals call it "Ghee Kund." I mean, who would've thought of using ghee to build a temple, right?
The story goes that they believed this combo would combat the harsh desert climate and make the structure super durable. I couldn't stop thinking about the craftsmanship when I found out about it. They had this precise mix of ghee and limestone – talk about attention to detail.
And get this – ghee isn't just a random choice; it's like a cultural thing. It adds this symbolic touch to the temple's foundation. So, you're not just looking at a cool mix of materials; there's a whole cultural vibe going on.
Visiting the temple, you can't help but appreciate the ingenuity and cultural significance packed into that ghee foundation. It's these quirky details that make these places so fascinating, don't you think?

Beautiful Architecture and Sculptures
However, it is not very easy to get there by your own car. It would be better to hire an e-rickshaw.
It would be better to go in the evening.
A lot of dust comes from the windows due to which the shine on the walls is fading. it should be noted.

Locals call it Ghee Kund mandir. It's situated on the very narrow lanes of old Bikaner where its impossible to ride even two wheeler, forget about driving your own car, so it's strongly advised that you drop your car at hotel or nearby, and take an auto rickshaw.

Why to visit Seth Bhandasar Jain Temple
The Jain temple in Bikaner, dedicated to Sumatinathji, the fifth Jain Tirthankara (founder of the Jain religion), is an architectural masterpiece built by a wealthy trader Bhandasa Oswal in 1468. The red stone of this two-story Jain temple is adorned with yellow stone carvings and colourful paintwork. Antarala, an Ardhamandapa, a Garbhgriha, and a Mahamandapa are all part of the temple complex. The pillars and walls of the'mandapa' and 'pancharatha' are covered in detailed murals with gold leaf patterns.
It's shocking to learn that the merchant built the temple with 40,000 kg of "ghee" instead of mortar, which drips from the walls under intense heat. Lord Sumatinath's idol is wonderfully fashioned out of white marble and sits on a silver throne. The priest of the temple is very welcoming. He is also well versed in more than 10 languages and communication is very easy. He will tell you more about the temple and its history. The architectural brilliance of the temple is displayed right from the entrance gate.
