SADOK KOK THOM HISTORICAL PARK

Sights & Landmarks
Points of Interest & Landmarks
Prasat Sdok Kok Thom is a remarkably preserved stone Khmer-style Hindu temple from the 11th century CE, located in Thailand. This historical landmark is the top site for historical parks in Thailand and boasts tourist signage, maps, information clearly marked, ample parking space, helpful staff, clean modern toilets and well-maintained buildings and grounds with shady areas. Best of all - there are no tourist charges to visit this non-commercial park!
Avery well maintained historic park. There is plenty of parking and nice clean restrooms. There was no entry fee on the day I went. The main structure was a marvel to look at even if parts were restored. This is not a very big site so it’s easy to see everything in less than a hour.

One of the very well preserved Mon castle. Locate a bit far but worth a visit if you plan to travel to Prachinbuti

Well worth the visit. I first visited here in 2005 and there has been many improvements since then. Very well run by the Thai Fine Arts Department.

I have been coming here for many years, the last time being 6 years ago. The site has been improved over the years and is excellent. The Information Centre which is a new addition is superb. The whole setup is to be commended and very much worth a visit.

It's a place that I've always wanted to visit since I was young, maybe bcoz of the strange name. Today here i am, small historical park but beautiful. It's worth to visit.

Beauty meets elegance historical park in Sakeaw province. Open at 9.00-16.30. We came right at the place a bit late, around 17.00 something but luckily the security guy was very kind, he allowed us to go in. We have a good opportunity to capture this exquisite castle with the twighlight background. Glad to visit.

Beautiful location close to the Cambodian border. I was surprised how quiet it was given how amazing the structure is. It was free to enter. I'd thoroughly recommend visiting

Visited early December 2022, very well presented museum and short film about the site. Grounds well maintained, and stunning old Khmer temple. Staff very polite and helpful. Place deserves more visitors but selfishly great to be the only people there. Free entrance.

Visit 6th March 2022. The top site for historical parks in Thailand. 1. Tourist signage, maps, information clearly marked. 2. Lots of Parking. 3. Helpful staff. 4. Clean modern toilets. 5. Well maintained buildings and grounds, shady areas. 6. No Tourist charges (free).
I've visited many of these parks around Thailand. This would be by far the best non-commercial (free) one I've been to. Highly recommended.

Great hidden Gem of a place and if its natural attractions and no gimmicks and Tee shirts etc for sale This is the place to come :)
I drove all the way to it as i just followed Google Maps and it took me exactly to the Buetififul site of Natural Rock Formations :)
I was absolutely amazed by the place ..Cant wait to take the Family ..
Dont go at night as for your you are likely to fall in a natural Pothole ,)
So if you want to see Thsilands Grand Canyon , then its here BUT dont expect the Grand part ,)Though i loved it as it as its off the beaten path and was great seeing the locals go about their everyday life :)
Make sure your mobile or camera has plenty of charge and a bottle of water is handy as no shops or stalls here YET :)

Unusual geomorphology landscape but beautiful in its own way. You got to use the local service cart ( e-taek ) to go in the place. Paid 250 baht for round trip. Stay safe by grabbing a bottle of water with you.
Kiatkorn Panyavuddhiwongg — Google review
Amazing place with amazing scenery. We were there with family and friends and we really enjoyed it. We have not seen anything like this before. I recommend bringing water and hats with you. The cost of a walk-behind tractor is 300 baht. I recommend this place to visit.
Русич Паттайя — Google review
An interesting geological formations. Life hack: you do not need to pay 200 baht for a local tractor to reach the destination but rather park your car and walk about 10 minutes for free.
Eugene Gorny — Google review
Warning!!! Should read overall reviews before driving to this destination. This place was part of my road trip plans. I didn't read the review, just attracted to beautiful pictures. This is private property. You can't drive to the site. You have to park here and took those vehicles which attached in my review. I had a lot of stuff in my car and look around my sentiment said NO. After read the reviews some times changed for 500 or 300 seems depend on the mood of drivers. I personally didn't like this kinda things. If it let me drive to the site pay fix price 300-500 baht,I would happy to pay for it. For my own safety, at the time of arrival nobody there how could I know if anything happen a long the way. Skipped it.
APC SSP — Google review
Smaller than expected. It's a community maintained area so it receives no funding from the central government. I came during the afternoon so it was blazing hot. Better to come in the evening or late afternoon. You can rent a car for 200 baht (300 baht) from the visitor center. It can fit up to 6 ppl. Alternatively, I bargained to park my car in the temple and walk in there myself for 50 baht.
Anuk Yingrotetarakul — Google review
Cool mud hoodoos that are definitely worth checking out. Since they are mud, they won't be around for too much longer.
Have to park your car at the main visitor center and rent a modified tractor to tour. Cost is 200 baht for the tractor. Pretty good signage once you get to find your way here.
Greg Wang — Google review
Ok so there is a lot of sand and there is cool formation but after a few photos it is just sand. Many years ago you could just drive here and nobody cared now they "claim" it is on private land and they charge you 200 THB and you can not go inside with your own car. We did since the signs were in Thai and when he said we have to pay 500 thb for driving inside i just told him what and drove away. I do not like when locals trying to claim ownership of something and take a big fee. If its there land ok but i doubt it very much.
Neo LothongKum — Google review
Thailand "rock formation", it is actually the stack of clay soil that slowly caused by water (rain) erosion. The structure may change year by year. To visit the site, tourist should go by the local tractor drive by villager who know exactly where is save, otherwise some area may risk to collapse. It is really funny activity and worth to do once.
sumpun Thammacharoen — Google review
An interesting geological place.....lots of unusual rock structures, quite intricate and beautiful to look at.
However it is quite a small area and once you've seen it, you've seen it.
Worth a look if you are in the area but I would not recommend driving hundreds of kilometres just to see it.

Golden Gate Plaza
Market
Shopping
Golden Gate Plaza is a vibrant marketplace that showcases an array of clothing and handicrafts stalls, along with street food vendors. It's a bustling night market where shoppers need to possess excellent bargaining skills to land deals on their purchases. With its massive size, the market can take hours to explore fully, and visitors can find an impressive selection of items to buy.
Come here monthly, good place to shop, brought lots of sports kit and pyjamas today. Next time fishing kit
Steve — Google review
Massive market, would take hours to walk around to see all. Brought many items
Stephen Boraston — Google review
If you are looking for second hand clothes, brand name handbag, original or copy clothes/shoes, machinary and toy, this is the place. Not worth going just to buy few items but if you need to buy a lot or just on the way to or out of Cambodia, great place to stop by at least couple of hours. Better take a bus from Ekamai bus terminal or Lumpini Park.

Fun, lots to explore and gòod buys to be had. Rent a motorcycle or golf cart. It's very big. Lots of food and drinks. The Boarder Hotel is close by if needed. It's clean and cheap.
Rocky Skaggs — Google review
Golden Gate Plaza Thailand border is so much cheaper than buying in Poipet or the country Cambodia itself. I save a lot of money buying there and a lot of Khmer merchants who have their own stores in Cambodia would buy whatever they need in stocks at a discount rate and sale them in Cambodia for a huge profit. If anyone of you want to save money, shop in Thailand either at the Golden Gate Plaza or somewhere else in Thailand, you will save lots of money. Here in Cambodia, it is the land where one get scammed, get rip off, lied to. Khmer merchants will lied through their teeth and raise the price of whatever you want to buy. Very dishonest. Go to Golden Gate Plaza.

2. HAND HEAVEN
To call Rong Kluea market anything else would not be fair. I do not know where all the 2. clothes come from originally.
I was told that the majority of the seller's which is from Cambodia bring all the products they are selling them from Cambodia. The goods are brought to the market from Cambodia on big hand-pulled carts.
The products are mostly 2. hand clothes mixed with some new copy products.
The 2. hand clothes look like is origins from the west, how it end up at a border market in Thailand's one can only wonder about.
The market is supplying most of the 2. hand clothes shops around Thailand. When you look at the license plates at the cars at the parking lots you see cars from all over Thailand.

They start high ,I finish very low as I know what I can get items from elsewhere ie chinatown ,so I needed quite a,few items snd bought all there ,do saves me the trip to Bangkok ..
Normally it is very hot here but today was,an exception..Be careful of the touts ,starting off with copy sun glasses, and beware what comes next .....The Cheap Viggarrette Scam that is all a set up eith the sellers, the police and the tax office .....don't say I haven't warned you...
The Market though is well worth at least 2 hours and minimarts, atms, bike and buggy rental ,do a great place for a day's out with the family .Or in my case ,by my self on this occasion,)

The Verona at Tub Lan is an unconventional hotel that features cowboy-themed quarters, situated within a themed resort that boasts dining and various activities. The location itself is picturesque with a reconstruction of traditional Veronese buildings, making it ideal for Instagram-worthy photo opportunities. Despite the current situation due to Covid-19 resulting in some outlets being closed, it remains a great place to rest and take photos upon check-in. Some people might find this place interesting but during query times there are few visitors and very little to attract them to pay the modest entrance fee to enter and have a look.
The grounds are quite nice but not particularly well maintained. Once you're inside the staff will try to get you to our your hand in your pocket to try some of their activities.
There are apparently concerts or performances on occasion that attract quite a large crowd.

This is a perfect place for photo shooting. The decoration is lovely and mimic from various cities in Italy.
Not many choices of restaurants and shops, it looks like all the small biz here cannot survive.
As a traveler, I do want to see more local shops and their products - so I could support them and have a sustainable economic in the community level.

Well well, another cattle herding facility: not recommended. Busses of big groups. Ticket counters and waiting areas. Factory-like processing of tourists. Mass feeding on fruit buffets. See a fruit orchard from the safe seat of your train. No need to walk or move. Buffet is decent - but you better eat a lot to make it worth the money. Specials like Durian are extra. The fruit itself is really delicious. Would I come back? Definitely NOT!

Come here to introduce your self Durian, Rambutan and some other exotic fruits in the fruit season. You get fruits, salads and chicken thighs buffet with ticket B, for 350 bahts. with ticket A, higher priced, you get durians as well. Tram Bus takes you to the buffet, that is first stop later, tour around the farm. You can take pictures with Durian trees. There is a sheep farm next to it also. Camping and caravanning you can do here, there is a small pond next to it. But I didn't find durian sold here cheap. It was 250 per kg. Normally 150 right in the centre of Pattaya where farmers sell direct to consumers.

Suan Lamai (sheep farm) is a very large garden and farm that grows a diverse range of fruits and flowers. One can easily spend most of a day exploring the area. You can purchase fresh produce, flowers or feed the sheep. There are several places to eat, indoors and outside. Dress comfortably and wear. Comfortable shoes or sandals. Be prepared to walk a lot. The terrain is hilly, but there are buses to take you to the higher areas. A beautiful and fun place to visit.

Yomjinda Rd is a picturesque old town street in Rayong, Thailand, featuring traditional wooden houses, street food stalls, and charming cafes. The road runs parallel to the river and has been restored to showcase teak buildings with significant Chinese influence. Visitors can start their exploration at the King Taksin Shrine and continue on to see the City Pillar and Wat Pa Pradu. This historic area was once the main commercial community of Rayong, housing banks, cinemas, and markets.
Unfortunately thats the only video I could capture. Have to go again to see the paintings I couldn’t find them but now i think its in the temple

Yomjinda Road in the old city of Rayong was simply a dissappointment. It was Monday midday when we visited there and many or even most of the shops were closed. Okay, it is not anymore the high season of tourism but, then, the historic notability of the road should be reflected at least some way - with or without tourists. The shrine, a Chinese temple, on the road was in my opinion the most interesting place on Yomjinda Road.

Suppatraland is a fascinating destination that features a tram ride through an orchard with an abundance of exotic tropical fruits to relish. The venue boasts a variety of delectable fruits, including the highly-anticipated durian that's set to begin its buffet by the end of April. Ammy Chanhom — Google review
Five years ago we had a nice, informative trip, we enjoyed a lot to Suphattraland to learn about the Thai fruits, to see how they are growing in the nature included the fresh fruit tasting.
Decided to repeat the tour and it was a very bad decision. 10-15 minute quick ride around the plantation and we were left in a huge pavillion to taste the fruits ( last time we had them right from the plants ) and to get a somtam with some chicken sticks... BTW they were really enjoyable.
After 1.5 hour waiting we moved on the other side of the street to see a honey promotion.
And that's it, the tour is ended.
A bit steep to pay for that 650 Baht. Maybe for the durian lovers worth it.

Recommend to book the tickets before enter, the park is very strict on number of visitors to the park. The park is massive and we were place on the park designated vehicle that takes us around the park with explanations of each plant. Towards the end of our tour, the driver drop us off at where the buffet food was. There we can have as much fruits (including durian). As a durable lover, I would say the quality of durian at the park is not as good as the durian that you could get from the market.

Big private fruit farm-total 800rai(1282644 ㎡). Walk in entrance fee was 500thb, you can take shuttle car and look around farm. There are many fruit-trees, you can see how it is growing. There is fruit eating section, it’s fruits buffet, and Somtam, pork bbq, chicken bbq as well. However, quality of fruits were too poor, if those fruits are from this farm, I’m not gonna buy any fruits. They might sell good quality fruits to market and give customers low quality fruits which cannot sell to market. In same reason, I didn’t buy honey. It is okay to look around here, but hope the owner make customers’ entrance fee worthy-1.upgrade fruits quality-esp mango was half spoiled 2. Upgrade service of employees ; seems like everybody is angry.

Came here after seeing good review and interesting coverage on youtube. The ticket per pax is 690b for both adult and children. The main attraction was all you can eat durian but the durian we tasted was of poor quality. i noticed that they actually selected durians that has white growth and black decoloration on them. It tasted pretty blend and was a totally disappointing experience. It is not worth the hefty 690b ticket price.

The beach offers a peaceful and spacious environment, making it ideal for evening visits. Visitors can enjoy the calm waters and beautiful sunset views. Additionally, there are good dining options and accommodations available nearby. Saeng Chan Beach is perfect for swimming and provides a serene setting for families to relax and enjoy quality time together by the sea.
The place is best for evening time. Some really good restaurants and places to stay too.
Its not much crowded and spacious where you can enjoy your time.

Went there from Wat Sothon, warmly reminder to who take Grab to Wat Saman, there is no driver or Taxi to take you back to Wat Sothon/ Train station (unless you book them with return rate)
Or else you will need to wait SongTiaw (long dual seat Bus to come, wait at Lord Indra/ Rahu there)

Oh wow, this place was like no other holy site I've ever visited. Without intending any disrespect, it was sort of like a spiritual Disneyland, with so many different ways & forms of devotion. Giant statues of Krishna, Ganesha, Quan Yin, a floating lotus on the river, golden boys & Ganesha's vehicle Mooshaka who will hear your wish & make it come true. It is a holy place, and reverent but it's also boisterous & colorful & playful. There are live elephants here. As in most situations I didn't feel too confident it was the most humane life for elephants so if you worry a lot about that you might not like it. But they seemed content. It was just my uneasiness about the elephants that made not give this place a 5.

Wat Saman Rattanaram is a strange place, and I don't mean anything negative by saying like that. The Wat Saman Rattanaram is a combination of a Buddhist temple area and a market place. The temple area is, of course, full of worship figures - but prepare to implosion: Among the worship figures you find fairy tale figures, too, like Spider Man. Why not bow infront of a fairy tale figures? Attached to the holy? But don't you eat there at Wat Saman Rattanaram? There are street kitchen restaurants to eat. Don't you buy different things from many shops there? There is even 7-Eleven there... or don't you just spend time there and let your children play on the playground? But these are very ordinary things, aren't they? Buddhism is very skillfull to combine the holy and the ordinary, it is at times seen actually in every Wat. They are places to meet other people, friends, neighbours, relatives, even to do business when it's a market time... I see Wat Saman Rattanaram as a big practical Zen Koan. The holy and the ordinary, side by side, or rather mixed. But isn't Buddhist enlightenment the most ordinary thing? Return to the real, that is, return to the everyday? Okay, be it like it is, when you leave Wat Saman Rattanaram, there are many shops on the left side of the road selling cleaning tools. Remember to clean when at home.

Good place to spend a weekend on. Many street shops are available and reasonably priced. Plan ahead for a weekend visit as you can possibly face a big crowd of people, heavy traffic and limited parking lots. Great location next to Bangprakong River.

This place is huge... there are multiple buildings as well as a market to explore. Besides the huge and impressive statues, there is also a big 🪷 lotus shaped structure in the river you can walk out to (not sure if this is a permanent fixture). They have some animals you can feed and pop culture statues that should excite the kids. We spent 4 hours here. Nearby there is a hospital which has a newly constructed statue and a big golden rock you can go inside, check that out too if you have time. You can take a tuk tuk from Chachoengsao station to the temple's market, just be aware it's not that easy to come back from the temple. They have trucks that come back to the bus station and train station, check the times after you arrive. Highly recommended. Entry is free.

Wat Saman Rattanaram
Wat Saman is located near the Bang Pakong Dam. Inside is the enshrined of the largest reclining Ganesha Buddha image in Thailand that most people come to worship. There is also a museum inside the temple. It is a collection of stories about the temple and Ganesha for tourists to know as well.
At Wat Saman Rattanaram in Chachoengsao, there is a giant Reclining Ganesha which is said to be the biggest in Thailand if not the world. It is 16 meters high and 22 meters long. Ganesha is a Hindu deity and has an elephant head and four arms. Images of Ganesha are widely seen across India and Nepal. There are thirty two popular iconographic forms of Ganesha and all of them can be seen around the base of this Reclining Ganesha. At the same temple there is also a floating market which has plenty of stalls selling a variety of food. You can also join boat tours. There is enough to do at this temple to spend a morning.
Wat Saman Rattanaram Currently, it is located on the Bang Pakong River, Village No. 11, Bang Kaeo Subdistrict, Mueang District, Chachoengsao Province. have land on the title deed The total temple location is 26 rai, 3 ngan, 50 square wa.
In the past, before coming to this temple There is a story that has been passed down from generation to generation according to the stories of the elders in those days. It is a Hindu park / temple of everything. You can pray to Ganesh or Brahma, but you can also pray and donate to Spider-Man, Pikachu, Bumblebee and Naruto. No Jesus though. There is also a cheap market. However, apart from a few giant statues the place is not that interesting.

An absolute standout of a golf course! I would rate this in my top 10 methods of Thailand.
This course knows how to make their customers feel welcome. From the moment you drop off your bag, you are made to feel welcome.
The course has a great layout with short and long holes, exceptionally well maintained with excellent, challenging greens—very strategic bunker placements.
The caddies, are some of the most well trained I have encountered. From knowing your club selection to reading the greens. Very few courses in Thailand can say they have caddies like this.
The Japanese hot bath is a great way to end your round.

Interesting golf course, the course condition is absorbing the water in wet condition still problem some in some area, especially in rainy season which shower every afternoon. But so far the first 9 holes are in good green condition and challenging layout.
I like all par 3 which has variety of distances and flag position.
The water hazard is every where, beware of it.
The food in the restaurant is decent taste and portion.
The cleaness in the locker is good.

Great golf course with wide fairways and challenging holes. Ok caddy experience. Restaurant wasn't too bad. Great accommodation and excellent value. I hope to come back again.

It's a wonderful course, and well managed. In Thailand they tend to pack the tee times too close together so sometimes play will be slow. At this location, they tend to space things out generally ok. The course is in great condition, and I would recommend playing here. Possibly one of my favorite tracks here in Thailand.
March 2023: I need to recall my comments about time management. I think the speed was acceptable only due to covid in Asia. Recently this course is the same as others in Thailand which means waiting from tee box to tee box. Today's round took 5 hours. As illustrated in the photo, people wait for hole #1.

Khao Kheow Open Zoo is an exotic destination that offers a unique experience of witnessing African mammals, tigers and apes in their natural habitats. Located amidst the hills and dense jungle, this zoo is divided into two zones - green and pink. You can choose to rent a tram or golf cart to explore the park. The animals are kept in their natural habitats, making it feel like you're on a real safari adventure.
I came here in the morning on the weekend. There weren't many people in the morning. Entry price is 250 baht for adults. If you come to Thailand, you should definitely come here. There are many animals inside. You feel very close to them as it is open zoo. You also have the chance to feed many animals. I fed an elephant and it was very enjoyable. There are also wild monkeys as it is an open zoo. You should pay attention to these. They can harm you or steal your belongings. Since the zoo is very large, I definitely recommend renting a golf cart. Not too expensive just 500 baht. 4 people can use it.

I like it, always nice to get some open air and interact with animals. some visits are up to the animals, are they sleeping, eating, playing. the set shows of the March of the penguins is constant and usually popular and can buy snack to feed them on stage. the swimming with elephants is always popular and when busy people need to que up early for the next show. feeding the elephants and giraffes is also popular and a good photo opportunity. this year traffic was down and there seemed to be less animals. they are also upgrading a couple of the parking lots. easy to park, can ride several available trolleys or rent a electric golf cart for a fee about 500 baht and up depending on size and time 4 seats or 6 seats a couple hours or more.
the carts are nice but the trolleys work well and you only need a cart to go to the big cat , guar, Australia section. the rest is close enough to walk easily.
watch out for the roaming monkeys. some are aggressive to snatch food or a purse out of your hands, will climb into carts looking for snacks. usually don't fear you and can chase a person out of a cart. if they see a cane, walking stick or slingshot they usually will leave you alone.
there are several well placed snack and restroom options.

When you enter the zoo, you think this is going to be an amazing place where all of the animals can roam around. Unfortunately, this is not the case for animals. The elephant show is too much! The chains before the show and so on are not okay - I wish my kid didn't have to see this.
Pink zone is very small, and after pink zone, there is nothing - the park seems to be abandoned at the end of the park - very strange feeling
Overall a nice park, but they could do better for some animals

Totally in love with this open zoo! This is my first time visit, staff is very nice and polite. We parked the car at parking lot, bought ticket, adult 150 THB each, and 80THB for parking lot. You can rent buggy 500THB per 2 hours (can sit up to 4) or EV 3 wheel bike 350THB per 2 hrs including insurance (can sit 2).
The zoo is very large, you can see and feed eld's deer outdoor. Many money! Be careful of you belogging, they love to steal things.
We rent EV 3 wheels bike and drove along the green zone, you can enjoy seeing hippo, sloth, capybara. They are all cute and look very healthy!
Overall i had a very good experience here and will definitely come back to see more shows.

There's wide variety animals around the zoo and many of them, we can bring the young kids up close with the animals. Food and snacks sell in the zoo is selling at premium, hence I would recommend to bring some snacks for the family. The zoo is massive can and There's the zoo hourly bus that's goes around as well as you can rent the gulf cart to goes around. I would recommend to do planing well as it's impossible to see everything, best to prioritize and plan

One of Thailand's largest zoos contains over 300 animal species in the 2000 acre forest area. Buy the tickets at the entry or the new parking area and then take the free hop-in-tram bus or choose the golf cart (rates apply 550 Baht with the insurance for two hours). Go around the various themed zones and enjoy. Well-maintained, and the staff are kind to help. Every area has snacks, beverage stalls, food courts, 7-Eleven convenience stores, restaurants, and restrooms. You can drive the golf cart or your vehicle to zone 3. Children enjoy and have fun and exciting experience with nature.

A nice zoo for a family outing. The drive to the zoo was awesome; you have to drive around 5km in the depths of a rural area to get to the zoo and the air was amazing on the ride up. Golf carts of 4 and 7 seats are available for personal hire. There are 2 zones. Zone 1/ Zone blue is accessible by walking and golf cart. The majority of animals are there and are within their enclosures. There are monkeys running around so be careful of your belongings and not going near mother monkeys with children (they might bite ya >:3 ). Zone pink is mostly treaded by your own vehicle and has zones for different animals, i.e Australia zone and cat complex. It's a whole day thing and mostly outdoor so plan a whole day for this. Best for kids, since it's just a zoo and not much else. They do have animal shows which can be entertaining. Overall, a great place for a family outing.

Highly recommend renting your own buggy 500 THB and discover the zoo in the most exciting and convenient way. Before entering the zoo's big entrance, turn left and walk 2 minutes to the buggy station. The zoo is huge, walking is abit too much as there are many slopes, or you can take the public tram which runs very often. Many families ride the buggy with grandparents and kids, it is very adorable and fun. The animals here seem to be well taken care of as I noticed their living spaces are well built, clean and spacious. If you're on your way to Pattaya, this place is definitely worth a visit for 2hrs. There are many fast foods and refreshment stations inside with reasonable prices. There is a 7Eleven at the entrance. Easy to find toilets also, no tissue. Best to visit right after opening hrs to avoid the long queue at the buggy rental. You will need to deposit your ID for the buggy, and abit of good driving skill is highly recommended.

This is very poor value for money 350baht entry +500 for a golf buggy for 2, it felt more like visiting Jurassic park 2... There was no direction for the visit from the staff there.
There are hardly any animals in here compared to the past, many empty enclosures and there is no clear timetable for the shows which happen ~3x a day.
The enclosures are old, half abandoned, falling apart and the grounds are overgrown and unkempt. It felt like a ghost zoo.
We noticed one man zooming around on his moped the whole time shouting at the animals, waving a stick and throwing bananas into the enclosures to make it look Interesting. It was more disturbing.
Be warned the monkeys are roaming everywhere and will steal belongings if left unattended.
The caged cats look emaciated and show signs of stress, I left feeling so sad for the animals welfare/future.
I would have asked for a refund but by 4.45pm hardly any staff were around, I didn't see any near the exit.

Interesting experience at the zoo. Some shows included an elephant swimming and penguins walking to the stage to get fed by tourists or anyone who wants to pay money to feed them.
Very open zoo, did a lot of walking but preferably you should hire a golf kart or take the public round trip safari buses as each area is quite far from the other.
Place is still under construction.

The space is beautiful and set in an already natural beauty. There is a lot of space and animals are a bit far from each other which makes me believe that it would've been nicer to see the animals with some more space. The enclosures are run down and sincerely too small, especially when there's so much space around.
A big chunk of the zoo is to visit by car seeing that each enclosure is 500m from the previous one. It would've been nice to see that info somewhere.
They basically feed the animals by selling the guests feed. Great business plan but still feels like a steal as every movement inside costs extra.
Not my favourite zoo, but not the worst either. I plan to return as I haven't had the chance to visit half of it and the kid loved it.

Could be better if more indicators signs would show where you are, where is the next place to visit. When you pay 300b for the entry, a paper map will be helpful. Chimpanzees or orangutans cannot be seen after 4pm, so you need to arrive early. Rent a golf cart because you will need to walk a lot!

This is the most terrible place. If you actually think this is entertainment, then you have something very wrong with you. The tigers are kept in beyond cruel conditions, and many are pathetically thin. They have no natural enrichment at all. They are all exhibiting distressed behaviours, such as pacing. These places should be illegal, and SHAME on you if you visit. I visited for the purposes of research, and I found it deeply, deeply distressing. 95% of the visitors I saw were Indian. Nice little zoo with the option to interact with animals. Small kids will love it. We liked it due to the small size and it was not crowded at all. Also the entry fee is nominal..
Pratish Upadhyay — Google review
They're abusing animals here. The animals are unhappy. They have cages that are too small, overcrowded, and with too few toys inside. They ride on elephants. The elephants are tied up in a way that they can't move. You can see how sad they are. The sight breaks your heart. This should be banned.
Tusia Puszkiewicz — Google review
A nice mini zoo, the entrance fee can use as money to buy food and water along with food for feeding animals.
The zoo is not that big, with a great atmosphere and many places to take a photo. You can ride a horse and elephants. The riding horse fee is 2 rounds for 200 Baht, 30 mins for 500 Baht. The coach is very nice and teaches a lot of tricks before riding.
Chalinee Benchotidej — Google review
This isn’t how the majority of these animals are supposed to live. Do not visit. They are wild animals, not small pets that can be locked up in small cages.

I was at their driving range and very happy with it.
Long range (300 y), acceptable balls quality, good service from staff.
The driving mat is quite small and thin, but there is the turf for driving too.
Kunkrerk kwanjangwat — Google review
Tough and fast greens. Lots of bunker traps, undulating fairways, water. In all, a lot of fun but need careful play. Caddies are ok. Clubhouse is charming. Driving Range is a little awkward in location. While driving, there is possibility of stray drive hitting vehicles.

This place has blown my mind. I am a huge fan of wood works and the whole place is just that. The cottages, restaurant, bar, pavilions just everything was hand build from wood. The surrounding is beautiful and colorful due to the huge amounts of plants and flowers. The owner has a lot of animals running around such as dogs, cats, different breeds of chicken and rooster, squirrel , frogs and what not thus good for kids too. Very impressive place. The owner is very friendly and helpful. All I all a very pleasant stay.

Golfing in Pattaya with the Golden Ferret Golf Society, located in Soi New Plaza. It was our first time playing the Eastern Star course. We found it quite a good challenge. Good mixture of holes, some with tight fairways, others more open but all enjoyable. Nice clubhouse with excellent guest facilities. Only 30 minutes from central Pattaya by car, thanks to the new motorway. Recommended.

Interesting but difficult course. Not far from Utapao and close to the Ban Chang area.
Cool to come here once in a while.
The fairways were really dry and running today

Well known 5 stars golf course in Thailand, located about 40-45 minutes from downtown Bangkok by car. This course is not open to public but only for members or member’s guests. Play fee for guest is quite expensive but comparable to other 5 stars golf courses surrounding Bangkok. Course itself is well maintained with challenging layout. Distance between blue tee and white tee is rather big difference. High handicap golfer should go for white tee.

Everything from arriving to departure was great. They have a cashless system where you pay everything when you leave, like being a member and putting on an account. Very nice.
The course was in amazing condition. Caddie was sweet and she knew what she was doing.
To be fair, I didn’t have a good day but it was to nice not to like it.
If you can, play it, enjoy, take some pictures, laugh at your balls in the drink, have a good time!!

Ang Sila is a locality situated in the eastern region of Central Thailand, specifically within the Mueang Chonburi District of Chonburi Province. The name "Stone Basin" refers to the abundant presence of stones that are used for crafting various objects such as mortars and pestles utilized in cooking, rice grinders, and statues. These stones are commonly carved by skilled craftsmen to produce intricate designs and shapes that have become famous among locals and tourists alike.
The Dao De Tian Ling Gong temple, also known as the Shrine of Na Jia Tai Jeu, in Ang Sila, Chonburi is a vast and elaborate complex with a lavish fountain and decorated pavilions. The temple houses numerous colorful statues of Chinese deities and provides ample parking space without any entrance fee. Though it has a bustling commercial vibe, it is still an ideal place to visit for those who enjoy exploring temples or seeking blessings for health, wealth, and wisdom.
A enormous temple complex.
I think this is a place you need to go if you like seeing temples. In my opinion you can compare it with Viharn Sien in Pattaya. Many statues. There is enough parking space. No entrance fee.

It is located in Angsila, Chonburi. Visited here when we were on the way to Pattaya. The temple is huge. Majestic. That I think pictures can't tell how magnificent the temple is.
There are some floors and you can view the town of Angsila at the top of the floors.
There are a lot of wall paintings in the temple. Too many. But it seems all the painting is in Chinese words.
There is no entrance fee when we enter. we parked our car outside but saw some people able to park their car inside but I'm not sure how.
Overall it is definitely worth to pay a visit when you are in Chonburi.

Definitely a place to pay a visit. It's huge, it's stunning, it's beautiful. There is a small shop with souvenirs for tourists, unfortunately it was closed during our visit. Also the official website is outdated and does not mention holidays during which the temple is closed and doesn't allow visitors.

We came here on the second day of Chinese New Year. Very lovely indeed. We went there to pray and pay respect to the Chinese Buddhist god. The area is very big and it is a 3 stories building high. They don't sell food inside the compound but that's ok since it is located in the town and there are many shops around that area. The washroom is also located in the compound. There is even a Lion dance and Dragon dance show in the evening and when it's a little dark, they even performed with light show. Creative group of performance and choreography.

The Million Years Stone Park & Pattaya Crocodile Farm is a sprawling 70-acre park in Pattaya, Thailand. It showcases stone carvings of animals and exotic flora, along with live shows featuring trained staff interacting with crocodiles for visitors' entertainment. This popular tourist attraction offers the opportunity to take photos with exotic animals and enjoy the stunning scenery. Beyond its beautiful beaches, Pattaya boasts this unique destination that appeals to nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts alike.
Very interesting place. I think it has been a victim of Covid as some of attractions are empty. 200b Thai, 500 foreigner. It is a good sized park that will take about 1 hour to walk through. There are a couple places where you can get refreshments on a hot day. There are many specifies of birds, horse and zebra, elephant and giraffe and a LOT of alligator/crocodiles. Some areas were under construction and/or closed.

This is the most beautiful place I've been to. It feels like I got into a computer game, Like Archage. There are very beautiful and unusual trees and stones everywhere.
There is also a zoo with elephants, giraffes and crocodiles, and other animals. Most animals can be fed bananas, which are sold nearby, or you can bring it with you. And you can also ride elephants, for extra pay!)
Its really must have, if you fist time in Thailand!

Compared to Seoul, Korea, this zoo has very good accessibility. Also, because it is not very crowded, it is very convenient to watch. The Crocodile Show has a deep history and is a very fun performance. Lastly, I recommend taking pictures with animals. Please remember that there is a place for tea.

Very nice park. I had fun feeding so of the animals available for feeding. Many ancient petrified pieces of wood. Very nice crocodile show. And the giant catfish were huge!! Spent at least 3 hours there. The smoothies were very good.

I would call this as a mini zoo, a lot of crocodiles, then the giraffes and elephants, then a little of other many animals, they have a crocodile show, it’s not really something fancy or amazing but it’s ok not bad. You can spend 2 hours walking around in the park, taking photos with elephants, giraffes, tigers
The park is nicely built so the walk inside is enjoyable
You can buy fruit to feed the elephant and giraffes, also some chicken to feed the crocodiles
Take an umbrella if it’s a sunny day
Overall experience, it’s recommend and the kids enjoyed it.

One of the beautiful destination for tourists. Beautiful sculpture and crocodile show. Many wild animals whom we can feed.
Ayush Srivastava — Google review
Entering through the entrance, a million-year-old tree fossil appears. A variety of fossils and rocks are exhibited outdoors. At the crocodile show, a trainer's dizzying show is held. One of the most dangerous shows ever. The park is home to crocodiles, giraffes, elephants, tiger, white tiger and bears. White Tiger, born as a mutant, is one of the rarest animals. You can take a picture with such a white tiger. The fee is 300 baht. After taking a commemorative photo, print the photo.
You can buy a fruit basket and give bananas directly to giraffes and elephants.

Don’t visit this safari park unless you support abusing animals.
Thank you for letting me to see the dark side of safari park. This park made me literally cry during my visit.
I couldn’t stop crying when I saw the workers used wood sticks to beat the tigers and force them for photo-taking. I couldn’t stop crying when I saw the elephants’ legs were tied. I couldn’t stop crying when I saw three tigers were locked in a small cage together. I couldn’t stop crying when I saw the performer hurt the crocodiles with his wood stick (please let them rest, they are not your toys).
I would give this safari park higher score if it becomes animal-friendly. I can tell that this park just wanted to make money. Please don’t spend money to this park.

Today were no many visitors, maybe I met like 15 people in the park. Entrance is 200 baht for Thai people and 500 baht for foreigners. Foreigners living in Thailand can pay same price as Thai people.
The stone park is beautiful, but too much of the same. They have birds and some wild animals like bears, many tigers, elephants and giraffe. And of course many crocodile and a crocodile show.
I think it can be fun to visit the park with a family. They working hard on it to make it beautiful, maybe 500 baht entrance is a little high, but still it is a nice place to visit when you stay in Pattaya or Chonburi

I’ve never had such a close interaction with tigers and other animals! I could smell the tiger’s breath (which smells like my dog haha) and tigress’s face was 5cm away from mine! Completely safe across the double net. Had a real connection with that beauty!
The show was good, crocodiles are everywhere, giraffes, elephants… could per a giraffe and touch its tongue, fluffy nose and cute tiny horns. Saw my reflection in its gorgeous big black eyes.
Prepare there is going to be an animal smell though, but it’s totally worth the experience!

Don't get confused with the name. This place is not only about stone, but more about animals.
This is an ideal place to spend a few hours if you have kids.
You can see a lot of birds, macaw's, cat fish pond, zebra, giraffe, monkey, bear, all sizes and shapes of crocodiles.
You can also meet several white tigers, feed elephants, feed giraffes, feed crocodiles.
You can also see crocodile show where you get to see a dude is putting his head inside crocodile mouth 😰.
The place is so good for a family day out, inside you'll find a nice sitting area, restaurant etc.
Entry fee is about 500b per adult, 200 per child.

A really great Park. Big with various Highlights. The Flora is impressive, you find also Aligators, Crocodiles, Giraffes, Elephants, white and yellow Tiger, Pony and different, rare Birds. The Crocodile Show is not a Highlight but the Lake behind full of Crocodiles. Here you have the opportunity to feet them. Exciting. The prices with 500 Baht for Farang and 200 Baht for Thais is a little bit annoying, but ok . For this they put a lot of work in that beautiful Park. Absolutely a recommendation. The only NoGo is, that all Labels and Explanations are only in Thai.

Apart from a million years old trees, rocks etc.. we can see animals like crocodiles, tigers, elephants, and giraffes. We can also feed them by buying fruits from the park. Moreover, the crocodile show is a must watch one in this park where the person who is doing this would take us to the edge of the seat.
Khao Sam Muk is a well-known mountain peak that provides magnificent panoramic views of the bay and is considered a local emblem of protection. This massive dike may be one of the largest in the world, but it is not very clean due to its abundance of monkeys. Great place to visit. It is very well done and great design. There is a covered sky bridge which reaches most of the main attractions. The sky garden is covered. Can get a bus to take you around which is good as walking would probably be too much for most. Highly recommended!

This place is part Disney, part Jurassic park and part botanical gardens. Wonderful place to spend an afternoon. It's about 600 acres so plan on spending a good amount of time to see everything. You have different ticket choices that give you different privileges; to see shows, ride the bus, etc, so do some research before you get there. They usually have some kind of specials but be sure to read the fine print. Thoroughly enjoyable.

Parking: It is not crowded. Not too many people during CoVid. Easy access to park in.
Place: It is very beautiful, nice, and amazing. I went here before. Some areas were under construction. But now the place is full of life and nature. I will come here again in December when everything is green.
If you want to find a garden or somewhere to look at flowers, this is the perfect place, especially for tourists. This place is one of the top 4 gardens in the world.

What a wonderful place to be at. It's easily one of the most wonderful and beautiful gardens in the world. Beautiful and well thought of gardens and absolutely fantastic dinosaur valley for both young and old. The place is so clean and one can also purchase food and drinks here with a large seating area. My family and I loved every moment of it. Spent a couple of hours here and would have been there longer, but it got too hot and humid to proceed any further. It is certainly worth the visit and would definitely be back here as there's so much more to view and explore. Highly recommended.

Absolutely loved it here. Well deserved top 10 of the world's most beautiful gardens. Spent quite a few hours wandering around jumoi g on and off the tour bus was a great way to really see any particular area without having to pound to many pavements.
The cacti garden was just beautiful.
Dinosaur valley was great the kids both young and old would love it.
The garden centre was very reasonable.
The butterfly garden was having a new model added to it but beautiful area all the same.
So many different elements to this wonderful place. I will definitely visit again. The man on the ticket gate was particularly memorable. Lovely. Man and staff in the gardens around the whole venue. They do great work.

This garden is shockingly huge and can see owners love for dinosaurs and many other animals life-size figurines dotted all over the landscape.
Buy ticket for the 45-min. trolley to get a overview and it makes 2 stops to allow exploring different theme gardens on foot, from cactus, orchid, huge rocks to French. Can hop back to the next trolley. Even 2 hours there only cover few grounds.
Plenty of food options and cool air-con. cafes serve cold drinks are a good way to hydrate and rest.
Pictures don’t do justice, must see with your own eyes. Adults and kids will equally enjoy it.

Great place to visit. The botanical gardens are nice, and the dinosaur statues are interesting. The other things to do there interacting with elephants and an interesting car museum, and I saw a shooting range there. They also have places to eat. It is worth a visit.
Ivan Sanches — Google review
I've never seen more concrete and plastic in a place that is called "garden".
First, if you expect to see a botanical garden and maybe learn something about tropical plants, this is definitely the wrong place. What they have done here is basically destroy nature that has been there, cover it up with concrete and then put a lot of plants into pots and decorate everything with plastic animals and dinosaurs.
Second, the place is huge, but some areas can only be viewed from the buses (forbidden to walk in there or leave the bus) running around the place, so there is no time to look at the plants closer.
I also got no idea why anybody would place a car saloon in a "botanical garden", but there are two of them.
Third, there is evident animal cruelty happening in this place. We saw chained up elephants being held as tourist attractions, so that you can take photos or ride on them. A baby elephant was chained to it's mother, to make it walk along and on top of that we saw one staff member pulling the tail of the baby elephant to make it stop. So, if you love elephants definitely do NOT go to this place. There is also an elephant show (which we - for obvious reasons- choose not to look at).
The so called "Thai cultural show" was entertaining but very cliched.
Don't let yourself be fooled: this is a theme park with a lot of plants and plastic animals but NOT a botanical garden.
Sandra Hanisch — Google review
The place is clean and maintained very well. We reached the place by 10am so that we don't miss the shows.

This is such a huge place.
We set off by watching the show of various cultures. It is a great show. Then we went on for the elephant show. It was fun and entertaining. Then we had some refreshment, a coconut drinks to be exact.
Then, we went on the tram that takes us to visit the tropical garden of animals, cacti and many more. We spent about 4 -5 hours here and it was tiring.

Very interesting and unexpected experience. The gardens were very well landscaped with various dinosaurs positioned in the different themed gardens. area is HUGE. Not too crowded. Feels a bit like Jurassic park and did not expect this, looking from the outside
Offers a tour on a bus for a fee, which is beneficial for people who can't or don't want to walk much. Has restaurants and food court, though food isn't that great. Provides wheelchair for rent. Plenty of parking space provided.

Beautiful garden. Well maintained. They have excellent shows. Its a good one day thing to do in pattaya. We took a ride/ car to go to all the points. As its too big to walk around its better to take a ride.
Not too expensive and worth a try if you are okay with a little walking. There’s cultural show, different countries cultural dancing n all and there’s elephants show.

But my husband n son said for male toilet it was really smelly

Everything is commercialized. Staff is very rude towards the tourists, especially foreigners.
Entry ticket is too expensive and do not deserve. Shuttle bus is a big fraud. Before boarding they say, unlimited hop on and hop off. But, after second point itself they do not allow to board further except to the exit gate. I am forced to walk myself with my wife, as the driver thrown away my shuttle bus ticket into a dust bin. There's no staff to guide you or help you.
Most of the garden is artificial except one portion, where tourist entry is restricted and allowed to view only from the shuttle bus. Not allowed even to step out of the bus.
Thai Cultural Show is good. But, the elephant show was again a big fraud.
After collecting a separate entrance ticket for the show, it seems management is interested in commercializing the show, but, not interested in the actual show.
During the show, feeding to the elephants, selling the products is a big hinderence to the viewers in watching the show.
I don't say it's wrong. But, should be carried out before starting the show or after end of the show. Not during the show. It gives a lot of irritation when someone is obstructing the show continuously. Waste of money.
Car museum and collection of Cars in the museum is excellent. Except, car museum all other things are fully commercial.
Hope the Management shall make a note of my review and take corrective steps, especially on their Staff behaviour.
Sarma Vedula — Google review
Very disappointing to see how they have the elephants... very sad, all day standing, tied at the neck and feet with very short chains, which completely limit their movements. I did not see them well cared for or treated. Their rights were totally violated, I felt that no one cared about them. They make them do tricks so you can take photos and the guys who ride them ask you then for tips. A horror.
Focusing now in the gardens are very well maintained, the plant production sector is very nice. The gardens do not have a description or origin of the plants.
Something curious is that everywhere there are figures of all kind of animals of different sizes, but they are not classified or described either. There is no logic.

Its a must-visit place when you come to Thailand, and please make sure you have at least half a day to actually explore and appreciate the garden (kids will go mad with the Dinosaur valley).
The garden is spacious, there are a variety of trees and plants for you to feel fresh. Also the sky walk is a nice experience for an overview of the garden.
The Dinosaur valley is a wow attraction, not only it has almost 1:1 Dino, but also there are many types from herbivores to carnivores.

Great place, definitely a must see. Very detailed dinosaur park with literally hundreds of different dinosaurs. Uncountable collection of plants, noted as one of the top 10 best gardens in the world. Another big thing is the 2 x car enthusiasts museum, rare cars old to new. Elephants were sad to see all chained up but everything else was amazing.

I first visited these gardens in south Jomtien some fifteen years ago and they have expanded almost out of recognition. Some 1,000 baht (£21) entry for foreigners but cheaper for Thais. Make sure you get tickets for the additional shows and transport you want over the basic entry fee. Vast open car park and easy entry. Begins with an extremely impressive and lavish Thai history and cultural show almost worth the entry fee on its own that lasts about 30 minutes. You then move on to an elephant show. I'm not a great fan of the commercialisation of wild animals taught to play popular sports like football and basketball for entertainment but I was one of a very small minority.
You can buy a ticket to view the vast gardens by open-sided minibus which drops you off at various locations. Lots of secluded tropical gardens and water features which are very picturesque. We opted to walk around a lot despite the heat utilizing the overhead walkways which are being constantly expanded. At the end there is an array of dinosaur features. Not my thing but understand it's to attract families.
Make sure you have plenty of water with you as despite the mini-buses and refreshment booths dotted around there's a lot of walking involved. Quite a long day but overall enjoyed the experience and would highly recommend.

Wonderful place to spend a day in thailand. They have too much attraction to entertain a tourist. They have cultural show, elephant show , elephant ride, garden tours and etc. Can spend a whole day easily

This place is HUGE!! Booking a tour around the place is recommended.
We were all surprised and amazed by how detailed, careful attention is paid to make this masterpiece the way it is today. Lots of sights for photos with friends. We enjoy our time a lot here.
BUT the garden is seated quite far from city centre. Be aware of transportation fees and tolls (if you use highways).

Booked this as a last minute idea for something to do nearby another attraction.
Didn't expect what I was about to see....
Driving up I started to realise this place was quite big, it reminded me of visiting Disney world looking at the scale of the parking areas and the ticket booth was like an aircraft hangar.
At first I thought it was quaint, then walking deeper into the gardens I was mildly impressed, then after an hour of walking I came to the realisation that I have never thought that this many different types of plants could be in one location, it was flabbergasting if I'm honest.
As we walked through the areas, the dinosaur sculptures seemed impressive, not awkward and they looked well made, again as we walked further in and then ended up taking a bus tour we suddenly realised the scale of this place and the size of some of these dinosaurs, every single one seemed accurate to the size I expected Including the very very large ones which you needed to really step back to take photos of!
This is the best garden I have visited, the plants they have on display and in the nursing areas must be in the millions.
This is ideal for children, just don't go during the hot season.
The food was cheap.
Plenty of toilets dotted all over, disabled access also.
Would recommend a visit if you have a family or just like to see well presented gardens.

The area is very very big and there are a lot of areas to explore. Amazing park and really large lots of options to do. They also have spa if you don’t want to do things here. We also had lunch here and they have a buffet and lots of variety of food
What I hate though is that I feel bad for the elephant during the elephant show though, they ask for tips every show they do, they go around in elephants for the elephants to collect.

Yes, one of the top gardens in the world!Pebble mosaic walls and hand crafted pots with people faces are amazing! Lots of huge old bonsais well located all over the garden. Countless big and small dinosaurs are everywhere. It’s so clean in each corner. The culture and elephants show are great. I say it’s not only a garden but also an art gallery of its own kind!

Mini Siam is a popular attraction in Pattaya, featuring miniature replicas of famous Thai and international landmarks at a scale of 1:25. Visitors can explore models such as the Statue of Liberty, London Bridge, Pyramids, Temple of the Emerald Buddha, and more. The site also includes a cafe for visitors to relax and enjoy refreshments. Similar to Legoland, Mini Siam offers an opportunity for tourists to take photos with iconic structures they've always dreamed of visiting.
Superb place to visit, clean, very well maintained. All the miniatures were well crafted with details. They have one shop where u can get food and drinks at reasonable price. Ticket is 300bht same as online. Recommended visit if u are in pattaya.

Quite a lot to see. Took me 1 hour to view everything. I am giving 3 stars only, the management cannot explain why foreigners are being charged 300 Baht whilst Thai residents only pay 100 Baht.
I must say, that this place is well-maintained even after the Pandemic. Toilets also smell good and very clean.

This is a very small park, not a whole-day type of attraction... However, being able to see all the greatest monuments of the world in one place is amazing. it's not organized but rather a mix of all monuments positioned randomly in the park- Eiffel Tower, Statue of Liberty, Sydney Opera House, and many others... The sun was strong and it was very hot but the place provides umbrellas for the visitors.
recommended at the end of your day-

Decided to go have a look here today. I thought it was pretty cool although it could do with more maintenance.
But over all we had fun taking photos)

I don't think the "Sanctuary of Truth" is worth paying 500 Baht for, but this place is fairly priced and totally worth the cost of 300 Baht. So much to see here, and not just iconic structures of Siam but across the World, with a big section on Europe. This place covers a large area.
I've travelled widely around the World so I ended up playing a game to see how many sites I could identify before reading the very good information boards which are also in English.
Was dehydrated at the end, so very glad there was a Caffe on site where I could buy a cold drink.

This place is a little bit of fun, to see some of the greatest structures from around the world to include a few that don’t exist but hey it’s all in good fun. Bring sunscreen, they do have umbrellas for sun as well. There is a small restaurant or drink place to take a break, there is fish to feed as well have we had some fun with that…pond monster! 🦈

Twice my family and I visited Mini Siam. What remains interesting are the replicas of world monuments. Especially if we like to create educational content. In front of the Liberty replica, for example, you can talk about John Locke and the Declaration of Independence. In front of the Colosseum replica you can talk about Roman Gladiators rather than Greek athletes.

Mini Siam in Pattaya is a delightful miniature wonderland that captures the essence of iconic landmarks from around the globe. This enchanting attraction offers a fascinating glimpse into different cultures and architectural marvels, all meticulously recreated in intricate detail. Strolling through Mini Siam feels like embarking on a whirlwind tour of the world's most famous sites in just a matter of hours. It's a charming and unique experience that appeals to visitors of all ages, making it a must-visit destination for anyone exploring Pattaya. Entrance fee for foreigner is 300 baht.

Nice place. But I expected a lot more details, miniatures are thrown on each other, leading to overall mass of everything compressed on one place. Based on reviews I read on Google Maps I thought that this will be the place where I would spend at least 2-3h of my time, 40 min and we were off. There are around 30 world miniatures and 30 Siam(Thai) miniatures, not that much. Definitely not something what I would desire to attended again.

Costs 300 Baht to enter and it was very quiet when I visited. The front of the area is basically famous international sites with the back being Thai buildings. Note that it can be quite hot if it's sunny and the interest level will depend a lot of who is visiting.

Well, it was a good place to visit on Morning or Evening time, but not during afternoon, it's kinda hot, good side is they provide the umbrella. I'm visitor from Malaysia, but after walk around, I'm not sure whether I'm overlooked, there are no famous building from Malaysia (even though I saw the Merlion for Singapore), this make me a little bit disappointed. We bought the ticket from Klook which is cheaper & the redemption is smooth enough.

choose evening time to visit this place if possible cause its hot there,
fun to see world's major attractions covered in miniature,
one of our group member lost his phone in the park, we checked for CCTV cameras but couldn't get it back, so one star less for that,
otherwise its okay place for children,
we spend around 1 hour at here.

Initially, I was somewhat skeptical, but as soon as I entered the park, I fell in love with this place! 🥰 A little dirty, but this is explained by the fact that we came on a Sunday evening. I really liked the area with the Eiffel Tower and Egypt ❤️

Lovely place. We visited at 17:00 because it's Hot in there.
A proportional dize of the site, so one can stay between 1-2 hours.
The maintenance of the tablets that explain every miniature are pure, also the information is insufficient.
Pattaya Floating Market is a vibrant and popular attraction that offers a unique shopping experience. It combines the charm of traditional Thai floating markets with the convenience of a reconstructed setting, making it safe and easy to navigate. Visitors can explore a wide range of high-quality goods, including clothing, handicrafts, art, and jewelry. The market also features cultural demonstrations and opportunities to dine on delicious Thai cuisine from various regions of the country.
Paid 200 baht entrance fee, worth every penny. Something different concept. The ambience itself is very beautiful. I bought googles from here. Price is cheap & bargainable here.

Interesting place to visit and currently free for foreigners which I think is designed to bring back more tourists after the ravages of Covid. The Ticket Office is closed.
A nice collection of shops selling crafts, clothing, food etc. Also a few places with low tables where you sit on the floor and eat.
The area isn't fully open at the moment; access to the rear section of the floating market has been boarded off, but there's still enough to see here to make it a worthwhile visit.
Miles Macdonald — Google review
This place is not a real floating market. It is a tourist attraction built on a lake. Everything is catered exclusively for tourists and there is nothing authentic about it. There is an entry fee to enter and every stall is exactly the same as what you'd get in a tourist shopping centre. The whole place looks run down with a lot of closed stalls and there are barely any boats left in the water.
Alvin Au — Google review
Explore the myriad of traditional Thai crafts, delectable street food stalls, and charming wooden boats selling local delicacies is a delightful sensory adventure, offering a glimpse into the rich tapestry of Thai culture and heritage.
Dos:
-> Do arrive early to avoid crowds and have ample time to explore the market's offerings at a leisurely pace.
-> Do bring cash, as many vendors may not accept credit cards, and bargaining is customary when purchasing goods.

One of the best tourist attractions in Thailand is the Pattaya floating market. Shops are located on top of water bodies and some people sell their items on boats, This is quite an experience. Do not forget to try the orange /water melon fresh juice that is usually sold by a lady near the bridge where you are supposed to board the boats. When I visited this place there was a water festival Going on and mind you people will try to pour, sprinkle, spray water on you and you need to take this in an open manner which most Indians don't 😂. You can also try the exotic crocodile meat if you are willing to experience something different. Apart from these souvenirs, hand crafted items and mementos can be purchased here.

Thailand is known for its floating markets, which are located along canals and are crowded with locals selling food, clothing, and artifacts. These markets offer a distinct shopping experience and allow you to taste Thailand's traditional culture. Visitors can even take a boat ride and enjoy seasonal fruit refreshments - all included in the entrance fee. Furthermore, the convenience of being near Tiger Park allows visitors to experience both in a single day.

It’s man made, so definitely giving tourist vibe. However, ended up being really neat. Fish spa was sick. Fed goats. Thai milk tea - horrendous. Pineapple, mango, coconut - top notch.

The floating market offers a variety of souvenir items, fashion, and local delicacies! Should definitely be visited.💖 Pro tip: If you'll be buying souvenirs, it's best to have it in bulk to get more discounts. You can haggle/ negotiate with the vendors, but be mindful that they're running a business to provide for their families.
Upon arriving, you have to get a ticket to enter. Be careful not to lose said ticket. Afterward, you may freely roam around. 🤸♀️
The restrooms are quite far but they're clean. They have BIDET!!!💕
Most importantly: Bring an umbrella as it might rain or the sun rays are too bright.

Absolutely loved it. Nice place to spend half of the day.
Be careful of the taxi mob front of the gate (there was a man strongly insisting to cancel the ride and pick his cars), outside, when you travel your own. Our Uber couldn't pick us up due to the "rules". Arrange the pick up before or after the main gate.

They charged 899 batt per pax, comes with fees slices off watermelon and pineapple, 1 photo, 1 boat rides and suppose with a souvenir, but there didn't give to us.
The boat rides about 15 mins, feels commercial and not worth to spend time on it.
So lively at all

The Pattaya Floating Market is generally praised for its unique cultural experience. Visitors enjoy the vibrant atmosphere with numerous traditional Thai wooden boats selling a variety of local products, handicrafts, and street food. The market's picturesque setting adds to its charm. However, some reviews mention that prices can be higher than in other local markets, and bargaining is advisable. Despite this, many appreciate the opportunity to explore Thai culture, sample diverse foods, and shop for souvenirs in a scenic and lively environment.

Surprisingly it is not bad. I did not come before COVID time due to many tour buses in front. They have a lots of shops, some are still empty, and restaurants area is far back. We were passing by and thought on stopping to check what was happening, on the entry we saw this goats little spot that you can pet them or buy milk to feed them, they are super cute and there’s baby’s inside also. You don’t need to pay if you want you can just go and pet them. We then approached the entry of the floating market and there were full of huge buses from the tourists that came from far, the prices are extremely high like 400 baths just to enter and 800 baths for the whole circuit. This is basically a tourist trap. We saw there was restaurants inside and everything but to be honest the prices are just too much.

Great experience roaming around the market in a small boat.
This floating market is made completely in a traditional way. So you can get some old traditional Thai vibe from there.
At the time we went, the water is not clear because of the rainy season. If it’s clear water then you can click great photos from there.
There are lot of shops inside that floating market which sell souvenirs for the tourists. Also I saw an article painting live over there and selling their paintings.
It’s a beautiful place to explore once in a lifetime.

There is an entrance cost of 200 baht. You can prepay for a boat ride as well. There are plenty of vendors and food stalls in the market. There's plenty of shade if you walk the entire market. Part of the market is closed due to renovation. Still, there are plenty of shops that will sellbyou stuff. It's a nice atmosphere but a lot of the products here can be found in any market in Pattaya. Come and visit to experience something different.

Enjoyed the boat ride through the market. I would recommend you to take a boat ride first, they will drop you to the end of the floating market, then just walk back, do the shopping, and taste some Thailand food. I tried Crocodile BBQ first time from here. It was good. I chose spicy flavour so after that to cool it I tried their bubble tea from another shop. Bought some bag and souvenirs. The sellers are really friendly. But don’t forget to bargain, because they know you will bargain so they might tell you higher rates at first, when you bargain they tell the original or lowest price possible.

The Pattaya Floating Market is a go-to spot for its unique cultural experience. The people traverse through the market on traditional Thai wooden boats. There are shops on either side of the boat selling a variety of local products, handicrafts, and street food. The pricing of the products can be a bit high compared to local markets outside, so i would suggest visiting this place just for the ambience and the atmosphere it provides. This is an amazing opportunity to explore Thai culture, try out diverse foods, and shop for souvenirs in a scenic and lively environment, though i would suggest keeping your bargaining skills handy.

The floating market is said to be one of the traditional markets in Thailand where locals sell their goods/food/arts/apparels etc. The place seemed to be deserted while I visited and the shops were super expensive compared to night bazaar or other outlets. Locals are aware that this is more of touristy spot and sell their goods at a higher price. Overall, it was a new experience as I have never been to such a market, but wouldn’t recommend buying anything from here.

It’s not a historical spot to view, but very attractive and amazing. The museum started from the year 1981 and is still keep on making new constraints. Gorgeous scenery. Lots and lots of good spots for photo taking. Walk in price is 500 bath, but it can go down to 365 baht if you booked online. Please be advised that you are required to wear something 'respectful', meaning you need to wear something of knees length. If the staff deemed your outfit to be inappropriate, then they have the option for you to buy or rent for (they'll return the deposit when you're done) skirts or oversized trousers of 200baht for you to wear on your duration of your visit. This place offers tour guide services for various languages: Thai, English, Chinese and Russian. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable, but I'd say she was rushing the tour a little bit. There are so many little places within the structure that you can sit and reflect, sort of search your own truths. There are tons of tourists, and a lot of them don't abide by the rules because a picture is more important than the history and the building structure. I started off with the tour lady and then took a gap and went off on my own. There is a lot of construction taking place as it is a wood structure that requires constant fixing. It's beautiful and breathtaking. Every structure inside comes with a meaning, a description of why it's there and what it stands for. I read every single one. You need about 2 - 3 hours to go through the whole structure. Don't bother with the restaurant and food outside the building. it's a tourist trap and expensive. Just outside the gates are plenty of places that sell juice, water and beer, etc, for half the price. You will wait for your turn and it's language based. They are always on time which is good, especially in the blistering heat

We waited our turn to follow the English tour.

Everything here is about good and evil and life and death and about Buddhism.
Sculptures are beautiful and in wood.

Entrance is 500 Baht and the activities are a separate payment. They accept cashless payments too. I’ve uploaded their prices for everyone’s reference. However, I forgot to take a picture on the time schedule per nationality for tour purposes.
They also have a restaurant inside with reasonable prices. I think it took us almost 3 hours for taking photos, eating and etc. it was pretty humid when we went despite the cloudy weather.
I just think that their activity prices are too high. For instance, riding an elephant is 400 Baht and you’ll be riding it for 10 minutes only. So it’s not a reasonable price in my opinion. So instead, just bought a basket of bananas for 100 Baht to feed the elephants, much better!

Outstandingly beautiful. Words can not do the atmosphere of this place justice. Very charged with a feel good factor. Strange but true it has a way of making you reflect on your own self beliefs. And how you conduct yourself in this world. Just an awesome place to reflect. The fact its made of hand carved wood only. And the amount of time it's taken to do is testament to the work ethic of the thai people who do it.

The best place to enter is on the 6.30 PM one. The evening entry price is 700 bath (normally 500 bath). The extra 200 bath is 100% worth as it looks amazing when all the lights are one.
The temple is extremely good, and you'll feel the energy.
Inside, you'll get to learn (you'll have an English speaking guide), who will explain all about it.
The temple has four parts and they focused on four gods (earth, water, wind, fire), and sculpted the history of how they maintain peace.
You should go there with atleast 1 hour and 30 minutes to see through it all.
If you love history and complex structure, this is an experience which is a must for you,
You will for sure say wow, and will be mesmerized by the art.

Must visit if you are in pattaya. Very peaceful place. The detail of the carvings is insane. The work there is never ending. They work on many pieces and assemble them and change out old panels also. The carving designs and stories are derived from many other countries as well. There is tour guide on time slots. Listen to the guide, there is a lot of time to take photos after that.

One of the greatest architectural masterpieces I've seen. The sanctuary of truth is an awe-inspiring work of art that truly celebrates Thailand's diversity of cultural heritage and religious influences. It shows the nation promotes its traditional values of kindness and virtue with far more than simple lip service. Here Buddhism, Hinduism, Confucianism/Taoism, and even Islam and Sikhism are given equal respect, along with reminders of both the blessings we receive and the duties we owe to our family and society. Simply being inside this place makes me want to be a better person.
Guided tours in many languages come with the ticket, definitely take advantage of it to understand the deep meanings behind the temple museum's many murals and sculptures.

This is an amazing place that deserves 5 stars. My rating reflects the surrounding “attractions” that spoil it. The elephant and horse riding should be stopped immediately. Website and leaflet claim it to be “ethical” but the elephants are being chained by their legs and guided using metal poking sticks. The tourists ride it around in the heat of the sun. It stands in in big conflict with the message of peace and sustainability being commemorated in the museum.
Other downside are the tours. There is so much to be told about this amazing place, yet the guides have trouble reaching their guests as they have to compete with other guides and the workers on site. I would have loved an audio guide to which you can listen in peace and on your own, sadly there is no such option. Also no smaller private tours are being offered. The complex message of the creator of this place is not coming across and reaching its audience in conditions like that, despite the great guides doing their best.
As an English speaking person there is also no possibility to access the museum before 9:10 am, which is when the first English tour is starting, even with the site opening at 8 am. It is weird, as after the seemingly mandatory tour you can walk around on your own as much as you like. I would have loved the possibility to see the place at 8 a.m. when it’s still not crowded and then would have joined a tour later in the day.

The Sanctuary of Truth completely exceeded my expectations, it doesn't feel like part of Pattaya at all. The craftsmanship and scale of the building is unbelievable. It's totally worth the entrance fee (100 baht cheaper to buy from online vendors for next day entrance). It was really hot when we visited but there are free umbrellas to borrow. They are quite strict about covering shoulders and legs but knee length shorts are okay for men. You have to wear a hard hat inside the building as there is work going on overhead.
The only thing we didn't like were the chains on the elephants.

Amazing Architecture! Its mind blowing how they built it entirely of wood without using a single nail. It's been under construction since 1981 so you can imagine the complexity to get this to it's current state. Also, the different kids of joints using wood is very interesting to learn. A must visit if you're in Pattayya.

This is truly The wonder of this world. That's the only thing that come into my mind when I think about it. All made in wood by hand. The detail that all this sanctuary is made both in and outside make my jaw drop whole this day. Words can't describe the beauty and impression it makes when you're there. Base questions lying at the ground, planets, human behaviours as a pillars, main elements on earth as naves. Impressive. Definitely place to see and touch.

The Sanctuary of Truth Museum captivated me with its intricate wooden architecture, showcasing a harmonious blend of artistry and spirituality. The attention to detail in every carving left me in awe, reflecting a deep commitment to preserving cultural heritage. The sprawling premises offered a serene escape, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the rich Thai traditions. Knowledgeable guides enhanced the experience, providing insightful narratives about the symbolic significance of each structure. While the admission fee seemed justified, ensuring the site's maintenance and preservation, I found the souvenir prices a bit steep. Overall, a must-visit destination for those seeking cultural enlightenment amidst breathtaking craftsmanship.
Dhruval Savaliya — Google review
A truly majestic wooden structure, what makes it unique is the requirement to wear a construction helmet upon entry. Visitors are initially guided through the construction area to witness the meticulous hand-carving process. Continuous maintenance and carving activities are ongoing, necessitating the use of safety helmets even inside the main hall. The entire building is constructed without the use of any nails; instead, it relies on traditional joinery, tenon-and-mortise, and wooden pegs. This construction method, is remarkably preserved here, presenting a spectacular sight.
Visitors also have the option to rent horse-drawn carriages or ride elephants around the building for admiration, priced at 400 NT dollars per person for a single ride or 800 NT dollars for two people on one elephant. The park also features a coffee terrace and a massage area for visitors to take a leisurely break.
Art In Paradise Pattaya is a captivating and interactive museum covering 5,800 square meters and featuring over a hundred 3D paintings. Visitors can immerse themselves in the art by posing with the vivid and realistic artworks, which include dioramas, dinosaurs, safari scenes, ocean-themed displays, and portraits of influential figures. The museum offers an engaging experience for both kids and adults, inviting them to take creative photos with the larger-than-life paintings.
Always fun to visit here. The work involved in designing & maintaining this attraction is amazing. The interactive option is interesting. Our visiting family really enjoyed their time. Awesome artwork 👌👍👏

It's 400 Baht entry fee for foreigners with no discount for pensioners, but overall I think it's probably worth the cost. This place is all about illusion, whether it's the classic drawings of shapes that can't exist in reality in the first room you enter or all the 3D effects created by clever painting techniques.
I try to always highlight the good points as well as pointing out things that could be better. As regards the Art works there are some really good 3D paintings here and the large room near the end uses all the Walls to create 3D scenes of places like Angkor Wat.
But I have one key criticism, and it's to do with the lighting. Many of the paintings have reflections from the bright spotlights illuminating them. It's a shame because so much work has gone into the Art. It IS possible to correct this by either repositioning the lights if there's enough vertical space, or changing the style of lighting, perhaps using uplighting or strip lighting behind covered shades. I think this can be fixed with a little thought. It's the only reason this place gets 4 instead of 5 stars from me.
One last Tip: Better if you go with someone so you can get photos easily in the 3D pictures, though I saw one guy with a phone tripod for taking selfies... Good idea, I forgot mine.

Nice place to hang out with family. Of course it’s little bit expensive for foreigner but overall is nice place to visit. For experience of this you have to download the app then only you can experience of 3D view of this. Place is Well maintained and clean.

A 3D exhibition. The part I liked most was the part with classical works. Other parts are also beautiful and interesting. If you are seeing a 3D exhibition for the first time, it will attract your attention, but if you have seen a better one, you may find it simple. Walking inside without shoes is a bit irritating. I think 400 baht is too much for this exhibition. A bit neglected.

For as long as humanity has existed, art has been part of our lives. For many years, people have been creating and enjoying art. It expresses emotions or expression of life. It is one such creation that enables interpretation of any kind.
It is a skill that applies to music, painting, poetry, dance and more. Moreover, nature is no less than art. For instance, if nature creates something unique, it is also art. Artists use their artwork for passing along their feelings.

Amazing place to visit and a must visit in my opinion as there arn't many places like this and this is a great place with great virtual and on site experiience. App is a little slow to load and procress thing. Its "illusion" and three-dimensional painting are ranged from period or country themes, and there is also a great mix of traditional and new art. This place requires you to remove your shoes before entering and this practice is so correct because it will not make you hesitate when you need to lay down to pose for pictures. We always think twice before posing for pictures on the floor when we were at other museums because the floor was so dirty! We also saw staff dry-mopping the floor regularly. We have so much fun and enjoy the experiences with the interactive paintings. Imagine yourself patting a giant cat while she meows, having giant flying wings, etc. So it is a Must to download their apps to enjoy your visit there.

This is a place where you and your family will enjoy. Children especially love this place a lot. I visited last December 2022 with my family. We explored for around 2 hours. The place is with color, picture and just wow...If you use their mobile application you will see the still pictures moving inside your mobile. So you can just take that picture or make some videos. Not all the pictures have that option. But a lot there. I surely recommend that place if you visit Pattaya.

The place is very spacious and neat.

Tip! Take socks with you. You will need to take shoes off when entering the gallery. This is because lots of the art is also on the floor.

Whenever you visit this place do download their application art in paradise and then click your pictures or a make a video. Amazingly handled by the management.
Also the best part is they have made marks from where you can click the best pictures and from where you could get the AR effect.
Beautiful and creative experience.

As A Person Who Enjoys and Loves Art And Artists This Place Got To Be A Place I Needed To Be In. The Artists Efforts Can Be Seen In Every Corner Of The Place and Felt In A Big Way. You Can Really Enjoy And Take Creative Pictures While Being Here. Its Both Arts And Photographers Paradise Here. Its Not Much Crowded So You Can Take Your Time And Enjoy. The Place Is Really Colourful And Lighted Up Nicely. But I Really Feel This Place Is Advertised For 3D Animation and Stuff Rather Than Enjoying Art. Make Sure You Visit Here When You Come To Thailand.

Art in Paradise was a different kind of experience. I would recommend you download and install the AR app they suggest at the entrance. If you do that you can experience it completely. Just open the app and point towards the art and you could see it comes alive, otherwise it’s just another exhibition hall with good paintings. Use their wifi and use the app to capture arts that comes to life.

and understand the current situation regarding hotels.
There was a Uniqlo in the shopping mall next door, which was very helpful.
Airism pants are very comfortable.
Considering the prices in Thailand, it would be expensive.
If you go to the nearby night bazaar, you can buy a pair of pants for 200 baht.
However, the way they hold it is completely different.
If you wash Night Bazaar pants 50 times, there is a 1 in 5 chance that they will tear.
Uniqlo pants can be washed 200 times without any problem.
Therefore, the AIRism pants are a winner because they are long lasting and silky comfortable.

Ko Sichang is a picturesque island that can be easily reached by ferry from Bangkok. It offers various hiking trails, beaches for relaxation and scooter rentals to explore the island. You can hire a bike to travel conveniently from top to bottom and relish local seafood in numerous restaurants. Although it has limited beaches, the stunning sunsets compensate for it. This place is ideal for running enthusiasts as the roads are good with some great hills.
Koh Si Chang, Thailand – Travel Guide
Not to be confused with the much larger and more popular island of ‘Koh Chang’ in Trat province, Koh Si Chang is a magical little island close to Bangkok that exists mostly unknown to international travellers!
This piece of paradise in the Gulf of Thailand only has one beach, which is quite small, and the mountainous terrain makes this an interesting island to explore.
Unlike nearby islands, Koh Si Chang is not a party destination and doesn’t even have any bars in town! With little tourist infrastructure to attract people, the island stays relatively quiet, especially on weekdays. However, despite the laid-back atmosphere, there is plenty to do to keep visitors busy.
Koh Si Chang is primarily a fishing island, and the town is filled with people who make their living from the sea.
Due to the fact that, for the time being, so few foreign travellers visit the island, the majority of residents don’t work in the tourism industry, although this is rapidly changing.
However, at the moment, instead of trying to sell you a cheap souvenir or a snack, locals typically just go about their day and don’t bother travellers. However, don’t think that people here are rude! When you stop to talk to people, you’ll receive nothing but smiles and gracious hospitality. This is the way Thailand is meant to be!
The ferry pulls up to a pier in the heart of town, which is also where are the restaurants and the majority of the attractions are. However, you can rent a motorbike right on the pier which will allow you to head straight to your accommodation if you’re travelling light. Many resorts also offer pick-up from the pier.

There are little to no foreign tourist and usually consist of locals only. It has a beautiful Palace and one really nice beach. Its not going to be a ko Samui or a ko Chang but its special on its own way. Also, if you can don't miss the native white squirrel here which is found on the southern part of the island. They look beautiful but are very shy.

A beautiful island that is extremely easy and relatively quick to visit from Bangkok. Hire a bike and explore the island from top to bottom very easily. Lots of local seafood restaurants to enjoy. Limited on beaches but the outstanding sunsets make up for it. A great island for running enthusiasts - good roads and some great hills. Stay at one of the local wooden hut b&b’s for a slightly more off grid experience. It’s not for those who are looking to fill their days with activities but more suited to those looking for a complete reset.

Beautiful island peaceful and quiet compare with the tourist crowded Pattaya. But overall the boat service to the island was a nightmare. The fishing boat modified my family and me boarded was lack of safety even thought it has the life jacket equipped. The boat’s boarding walk way was too narrow. An accident happened during my trip back as one local fell to the sea. Just be prepared and caution when travel with elder and children.

What I liked about the small, cozy island of Ko Si Chang: # No cars allowed! Only scooters and stylish tuktuks. # Very little number of tourists, so no noisy night life. # Diversified hilly terrain with super satisfying narrow winding roads for scooter riding (rent your own Zoomer for 300 bht/24h). # Some quiet resorts and natural nooks where you can hide from the world and avoid crowds - good for writers or thinkers perhaps. # Dry microclimate: you feel like in Greece for a change, not a greenhouse. # Wonderful vistas from a promenade to the west and other high points. # Some choice of vegan food in certain restos. # Low prices. # So close to Bkk, 4 hrs by bus and ferry in total. # Smiling friendly locals.
Be aware of sea urchins (bring plastic shoes) and jellyfish in the ocean. Be prepared that life slows down rapidly right after disembarking and you might need some time to get in sync.

Don't forget to grab a bite of some delicious fresh seafood while you're there.

What I love about this island, it is really accessible from Bangkok and worth the visit with all it’s beauty and wonderful locals. You can eat amazing seafood dishes and ride a rental scooter around the island. You’ll see some wild bore with its young roaming around and the temples and views are gorgeous. Given the island is relatively small, it’s perfect for a weekend getaway i.e. to escape the busy city life with many beautiful options of places to stay to choose from.
