"The crowning glory of my Vaishno Devi pilgrimage was the mesmerizing view from Bhairo Mandir. After a challenging yet spiritually enriching trek, reaching Bhairo Mandir felt like ascending to a celestial realm. The panoramic vistas of the Trikuta Mountains were simply awe-inspiring, with every peak and valley creating a breathtaking tapestry of nature's grandeur.
From this elevated perch, the Vaishno Devi temple below appeared like a divine jewel embedded in the rugged landscape. The sense of accomplishment blended seamlessly with the spiritual awe as I gazed upon the sanctum from Bhairo Mandir. The tranquility of the surroundings added a serene touch, allowing for quiet introspection and a deep connection with the spiritual essence of the journey.
The meticulous planning and maintenance of the route from Vaishno Devi to Bhairo Mandir showcased the dedication of the temple authorities to provide a holistic pilgrimage experience. This journey not only tested my physical endurance but also uplifted my spirit, leaving an indelible mark on my soul. The culmination of the pilgrimage at Bhairo Mandir was a moment of pure bliss, where the earthly and divine elements converged in a harmonious spectacle, etching an unforgettable chapter in my spiritual journey."

Earlier you have to go to Jammu and from there catch bus. But now everything is so smooth.

Mata Vaishno Devi Mandir (bhawan) is one of the best holiest places in India. The mandir is too high from the Katra and has approx 15 km. Total Yatra or Journey of Holy 'Shree Vaishnav Mata Ji' and 'Shree Bhairav Baba Ji' takes around 12 to 15 hrs. It is very well-managed and beautifully oraganised by the Katra shrine board. Clean toilets along the way, several food stalls, drinking water points for every traveler, many benches to sit and rest all way. Entire trek was very beautiful and 90% shaded. its a life time experience to visit here. After mataji darshan we took rope way to reach bhairav baba temple, whose price is Rs 100 per person. bhairav baba mandir balcony is the great place to take photos/selfie.

Mata Vaishno Devi, also known as Vaishno Devi Mandir, is a popular Hindu temple located in the Trikuta Mountains in the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir. The temple is dedicated to the Hindu goddess Mata Vaishno Devi, who is believed to fulfill the wishes of her devotees.
The pilgrimage to Mata Vaishno Devi begins at the base camp in Katra, which is about 42 kilometers from Jammu. From Katra, devotees have to trek uphill to reach the temple. The trek is approximately 13 kilometers long and passes through picturesque mountainous terrain.
The temple is situated at an altitude of around 5,300 feet above sea level. Devotees have to climb a flight of approximately 5,000 steps to reach the main shrine, which is located inside a cave. Alternatively, some devotees prefer to hire ponies, palanquins, or helicopters to reach the temple.
The shrine receives millions of devotees every year, especially during the auspicious occasions of Navratri and other festivals. The pilgrimage is considered highly significant in Hinduism, and devotees visit the temple to seek the blessings of Mata Vaishno Devi.
It's important to note that the information I provided is based on the knowledge available to me up until September 2021. It's always a good idea to check for any recent updates or changes regarding the pilgrimage to Mata Vaishno Devi before planning your visit.

We have visited earlier also for Mata Rani Darshan.
But this time we got special Darshan.
Mata Rani ki kripa Bahut hai.
Within 3 hours we came back to Helipad.
Arrangements were so good.
Queues were not too Big.
For people who travelled via Helicopter and same day return, VIP PASS issued from Helipad Counter.
We need to remember that we must have to return with in time mentioned on VIP SLIP.
We need to enter from Gate No 5 to avoid long queues which is clearly mentioned on Slip.
We can take Prasad from local shop and put all our bags there to save time.

This centuries old temple stunned me with its beautiful architecture. Taking photos were not allowed inside the temple complexes but the design of the temple shikharas (spores) reminded me so much of the traditional temple design predominant in East Bengal (the areas in today's Bangladesh).
Maybe the rajput lineage of architecture had been carried to Bengal. During medieval times, Rajput generals and nobles were often employed by the Mughal Empire and historically many Rajput personalities have attacked Bengal at the head of major invading armies.
India is fascinating country, with history peeling out at you from everywhere. But only if you are careful and patient in looking for it.
The area just outside needs to be cleaned up and encroachments removed.

This temple was constructed by Maharaj Ranbir Singh in 1878 A.D. Construction started in the year 1863 A.D, and it took 15 years to complete. It is the biggest Shiv temple in all of North India. Some things to keep in mind: remember to never do a full parikram crossing the water drain in any Shiv temple (look for the answer online, there are plenty 😌). They close the temple at 1pm and reopen at 3pm so latest arrival should be by 12pm.

The Bahu Fort is a historic fort in the city of Jammu, Jammu and Kashmir. Constructed on the banks on Tawi River, the ancient fort is believed to be constructed by Rajput Raja Bahulochan around 3,000 years ago. It is believed that the first renovation of this fort was undertaken during Dogra Rule in 18th century. The fort is a religious place, and within its precincts has a temple dedicated to the Hindu goddess Kali. The temple is known locally as the "Bawe Wali Mata temple".The building of the city of Jammu and the Bahu Fort are linked to a legend. Raja Jambu Lochan, when on a hunting trip, witnessed a curious scene of a tiger and a goat drinking water side by side at the same location in the Tawi River, without the tiger attacking. The Raja considered this a divine direction to establish his new capital here, as the scene he witnessed at this site represented peaceful coexistence. His brother, Bahu Lochan, is credited with building the fort.
The fort is located on a high plateau land overlooking the Tawi River on its rocky left bank with an average elevation of 325m. The forest area that surrounds the fort has been developed into a well laid out park called the "Bagh-e-Bahu", from where a commanding view of the city of Jammu could be seen. The garden attracts a large number of visitors.[1]
The fort, the temple, and the Bagh-e-Bahu garden are located 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) from the Jammu city centre. The city road to Surinsar was widened for providing approach to an Oil drilling exploration project. However, this project was shelved and consequently the widened new road provided better access to the fort and the temple, and the number of visitors to these places has since increased.
The fort structure is located at an elevation of 325 metres (1,066 ft), opposite to the old town of Jammu. The fortified structure has thick walls made of sandstones built with lime and brick mortar. It has eight octagonal towers or turrets connected by thick walls. The towers have enclosures to house guards. The main entry is fit to allow passage of elephants into the fort. A water tank with access for pilgrims to take bath is located on the left entry into the fort. This tank or pond is 6.1× in size and has a water depth of 4.6 metres (15 ft). A pyramidal structure is on the right flank (with very thick walls to withstand any gun attack) of the fort was an ammunition store. An underground chamber here was used a prison. This chamber has a secret exit to escape from the fort in case of any emergencies. The first floor is lavishly built with arches and decorated with floral designs like a Baradari or a palace.
To the right of the temple, there are a few halls which were used in the past as assembly halls and offices of the Quiledar (master of the fort). However, they are not maintained at all. The royal stables were also located within this fort. Substantial renovation and additions to attract visitors have been added during recent years.
The earliest historical recorded link to the fort is that of Raja Jambu Lochan and his brother Bahu Lochan, sons of a powerful ruler Agnigarbha II of the Jammu dynasty of Suryavanshi kings. Bahu, the eldest of Agnigarbha's 18 sons, is credited with establishing the Jammu city and building the fort. The earlier fort structure was modified over the years to a stronger fortified structure. The present fort was rebuilt, probably at the same location as the ancient fort, by Autar Dev, the grandson of King Kapoor Dev in 1585. Over the years the fort underwent demolitions and reconstructions from time to time, until during Sikh Empire the then new Governor/Raja of Jammu Maharaja Gulab Singh reconstructed the present fort in the 19th century, which was further refurbished during the rule of Maharaja Ranbir Singh. They first established temples for their tutelary deities; the image of Mahakali deity in the temple in the fort was brought from Ayodhya

It offers boating facilities, and the surrounding area has parks and walking trails, making it a serene spot for visitors. Mansar Lake holds cultural significance as it is believed to be a site associated with the Hindu epic, Mahabharata. According to local legends, it is said that the sage Kashyapa created the lake by draining the waters of the Mansarovar Lake in Tibet. Bit far from Jammu, food quality not so good. We ate samosa , chai & rush.
Samosa was bit oily. I recommended to bring your own food to eat.
Boating 🛶 is also nice but need to wait for a while to book the ticket. They booked the ticket for half an hour.
No public toilets.
-> but it was fun going through between mountains & if you like long drive

Absolutely loved the place. You can either pay a fee per head at the entrance or give total 250 for your own car going inside. We chose the latter. There are a wide range of adventure sports available at a decent price. Bargaining can be done lol. Also the view is beautiful. There are restaurants available at the sanctuary.

Entry fee 250/-. Beautiful and scenic view . 3 km drive in to reach the location. Peaceful place to relax and unwind. It is difficult to spot a wild animal while here as there is too much vehicular movement and noise from the nearby eating places. We were able collect pine cones while strolling through the walkways which was a fun activity for the kids. The place is clean and well maintained which clean washroomsas well.

Don't confuse it with the name Sanctuary as you will not see any animals or birds. It is just a forest rest house and a Photography point in a lush green forest, the road condition is not good, it is narrow and rough, so ignore it in case of rain or snow season. The vehicle is allowed after a pass ticket or can book a cab. Adventurous activities are also there like zip line, mogli walk, and bridge

We visited here in summers and we walked 3 km to get to the kalatop hilltop hotel. You won't find any animals(bears or birds) because cars are allowed till the hotel. One can even go further multiple treks start from the hotel site. There's a souvenir shop, there's a hundred year old deodar tree and there are some adventure activities which you can enjoy. We had a tea there and you can also enjoy the pakoras with the sunset in the rooftop small restaurants.

Panjpula is a popular tourist spot in Dalhousie, India, known for its natural beauty and serene surroundings. The name Panjpula translates to "five bridges," which refers to the five streams that converge at this point. Visitors can enjoy leisurely walks along the pathways while taking in the picturesque views of the surrounding hills and valleys. One of the main attractions at Panjpula is a memorial built in honor of freedom fighter Sardar Ajit Singh.
Situated amidst lush greenery, Khajjiar Lake is a picturesque water body nestled in the midst of rolling hills and meadows at mid-altitude. Its location appears straight out of a storybook, as it seems to magically appear in the middle of a forest drive. The landscape is surreal and offers multiple activities for visitors to indulge in. Even with all the hustle and bustle around, one can find solace here and appreciate its natural beauty.
This one is certainly right out of a story book.
It just magically shows up in the middle of a forest drive.
The landscape is surreal and even though there might be multiple activities happening In and around it, you'll be able to find yourself a spot to relax and sink the beauty in.
It is a approx 20kms from the Gandhi Chowk in Dalhousie.
The ride to the place is equally beautiful as you pass through a forest reserve.
Highly recommended.

Extremely scenic and on par with any European tourist places. I feel, a few unnecessary tourist attractions (such as Horse riding and inside park eateries) should be avoided to make this more pleasant

I visited Khajjiar shortly after the monsoon (one of the best seasons to visit). It is a sprawling green meadow with a marsh lake in the middle and surrounded all around by deodar trees. There is a cottage run by Himachal tourism situated right in the meadow (the iconic photo that you see when you search Khajjiar in Google), where you can book your stay through the Himachal tourism website. It was lush green and the weather was pleasant in September. The good thing about Khajjiar is that it's not overcrowded (yet). There is so much fresh air and tranquility. You can take a good walk around the perimeter and then sit on a bench and enjoy the view how much ever you want. This place is a great escapade from the noise and crowd of the city.

Overall khajjiar is very beautiful..Lake just adds to the beauty of this place. i don't know if boating is there or not but there was very less water when i visited may be due to heat. Cleaning work was ongoing to remove peripheral Grass to make it look good and a bit bigger as it was looking like a swamp.

beautiful and calm place to spent a day with family or friend. It is know as Mini switzerland. Khajjiar lake is very small, there is no water activities here. There is only green ground between high hills. Deodar tree and green grass makes beautiful view. Cold breeze and fresh sun light fill your life with freshness. shops for eating and hotels for staying is available here. You can camping in the night. But concern with locals there is risk of wild animals also.
You can do paragliding, Horse riding etc.
for enjoying snow visit in Jan and feb month,

My experience at Khajjiar Lake was far from impressive. I visited in the month of December and without the picturesque snow, the place loses its charm, leaving little else to captivate visitors. The lake itself is ordinary, and the surroundings lack the magic that comes with a snowy landscape.
When the snow is absent, Khajjiar Lake becomes just another average spot, lacking the allure that's often associated with this destination. I'd advise skipping it unless you're fortunate enough to catch it during the rare snowy season. Without the snow, it's a rather unremarkable visit.

Dainkund Peak is a scenic tourist attraction with a temple located at the top, offering magnificent views. The uphill trek of around 1.5 km features some inclines and steps along with straight natural paths. Visitors can experience cold breezes, especially during winter when the fields are covered in snow. During summers, it offers lush greenery with residual snow. The location's picturesque scenery makes it an excellent spot for capturing nature photography.

This peak had the best views throughout the trekking. It's a short 2 kms around trek, which is a little steep for 1km and then it gets better. But you will enjoy the lush green views (if you are visiting after monsoon, we visited in September) all the way to the top.

Beginner level trekking of approximately 1.5 km with some steps, straight natural path in between with some slopes. Cold breeze will be touching your skins and with high velocity. At the end of the trek there is a temple "Pohlani Mataji" and behind that you can see Mount Kailash peak (As written on the Temple Wall) and other mountain ranges. In winter you will find snow covered field and during Summers you can enjoy greenery with some residual snow. Location is very picturesque and can take some great pictures of nature here.

At a distance of 17 km from Dalhousie Bus Stand, Dainkund Peak, perched at an altitude of 2755 m, is the highest mountain peak in Dalhousie. This is the most important peak and also a very popular place to visit in Dalhousie. Tourists can enjoy 360° view of the entire valley from this peak.
Dainkund is also a famous place for short trekking near Dalhousie. The name Dainkund is said to have been derived from Dain - Kund, which means Lake of the Witches. It is believed that in old days this mountain was the residence of witches. The sound of the breeze passing through the trees makes a musical sound, due to which this peak has also acquired the name, the singing hill.
This peak has two major attractions; one is the Indian Air Force base and the other is the Pholani Devi temple, which is a temple of great importance. One of the most interesting facts about this temple is that, except a trident there is nothing inside the temple premises. The peak offers a clear view of the flow of the rivers Ravi, Chenab and Beas which flow at the base.
Trekking is the most common path to get to the top and is a beautiful experience, with great views and fresh cool mountain air. Being the highest peak, it gets maximum snowfall during the winter season. The ascent to the Dainkund begins after crossing Lakkar Mandi. About 6 km drive from Lakkar Mandi leads to Indian Air Force Barrier, where the cars are parked. From the end of the motor able road to the temple one has to walk around 3 km of which the first km is very steep. However, this steep stretch of walk is quite safe as the path is made of wide concrete steps.

This was my first visit to this place as i used to hear a-lot about it but never got a chance to visit. This time, during our punjab visit, we planned to go there in the morning itself. It was an hour approx journey from village kathour. You get a free parking there in front of the temple itself. The history and the stories of this place is so full of positivity and history. This is a beautiful place to be at and i must advise you to please pay a visit once there and you would love to go there again and again as i am going to visit it again during my next visit to punjab. This place is a whole vibe itself and you would get lost in the artistic view of this temple. You will also be served with chai and besan prasad in the temple. We missed seeking blessings from maharaj ji this time as they were out of town for a week or so. But would love to go there again as we could not see the whole temple in one visit. Anyone living in punjab should surely go there for once to have their blessings❤️

My parents say they are hooked to this place from Generations. So we have got to know this place from family only and we tend to visit twice or thrice a year. Whenever some marriage happens in my family, it is custom to donate bedsheets blanket and pillows here. Reason I don't know but that's what we are supposed to do as told by my great grand maternal mother. So recently we did that. Place is hub to nature. One can easily spot the peacocks here and all the Flora and fauna. The place has alot of importance. They say under guruji one pet dog specifically female dog just ate almost 50 KG opium in front of jahangeer जहांगीर badshah and then That king alloted the whole space wherever that dog went. Lot of parking space is available but the link road as of today was under construction which connects pandhori to national highway. Langar is available nearby 1 to 2PM. Tea snacks will be available from 4 PM. SBI bank and ATM are available here for working days only. One has to bow heads in front of Baba mahesh das ji temple while Coming and going also then only the visit will be completed. Market offers prasad which you can take along to temple. Do come and explore this place. Students cannot come without teachers. People come with newly married couples and get blessings of guruji. People come here to get the names of newly born babies. Visit and enjoy.

The Masroor Rock Cut Temple is a cluster of monolithic sandstone temples located in North India. These ornate structures were carved from living rock between the 8th and 10th centuries, displaying beautiful architectural carvings that have suffered severe erosion over time. The temple complex bears similarities to smaller temples at Angkor Wat in Cambodia and offers a stunning reflection when viewed from the nearby tank.
This is a rare monolithic temple of Northern India. It is a marvelous heritage of India.

A peaceful tranquil place that gives you a view that will be with you for life. The view of the temple from across the lake is the best. While it can get really hot during peak summer the way we experienced in June 22, however if you carry an umbrella, you can walk around without much fatigue.
There is plenty of shade to sit and enjoy the view. You can also walk beyond the lake to enjoy some Maggi or other quick snacks or biscuits or soft drinks.
Photo options are a plenty.
Overall a place worth going to and spending at least couple of hours to soak in the peace and awe of the view and wonder about how many centuries back people would have carved out these structures and what would've motivated them to do it.

A hidden beauty far away from all the limelight. Takes about 2hrs to reach from Dharmashala by car. No bus routes available nearby. A digital entry fee directly payable through app( no cash taken). This temple is in complete ruins post a massive earthquake in 1800’s. No much history is known, no guides available. But the massive ruins speaks for itself the magnificent temple that existed earlier. A pond is beautifully constructed in front, which still has certain ruins beneath it. Apart from the ruins, the view of the temple from the top is heart breaking! However, the sunset view is spectacular at the top!

The Rock Cut Temples of Masroor, located in the Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh, India, are an impressive architectural marvel dating back to the 8th century. Carved out of a single rock, these temples exhibit intricate detailing and craftsmanship, reminiscent of classical Indian architecture.
Visitors are often awe-struck by the grandeur of the temple complex, which consists of a group of rock-cut temples dedicated to various Hindu deities, primarily Lord Shiva. The main temple, dedicated to Shiva, features a towering shikhara (spire) and intricately carved bas-reliefs depicting scenes from Hindu mythology.
While the temples have suffered some damage over the centuries due to natural erosion and earthquakes, they continue to stand as a testament to the skill and dedication of the artisans who created them.

Recently explored Masroor Rock Cut Temple (11-11-23) – a hidden gem for a family picnic. Even during the Diwali Festive Season, the serene atmosphere prevailed with fewer crowds. The temple, a marvel of ancient architecture, left me in awe. The journey from Kangra unfolded breathtaking mountain views, riverside scenery, and enchanting pine forests. The road, though occasionally bumpy due to recent heavy rains, was generally well-maintained.
Entrance fees were surprisingly low, and the online ticketing process, facilitated by the attentive guard, ensured a smooth experience. The strategically located restroom atop a hillock provided not only convenience but also a panoramic view of the surroundings. Cleanliness was a pleasant surprise.
A quaint eatery near the temple offered delightful treats – from scrumptious Vegetable Maggie and momos to an outstanding pizza. The pizza, in particular, was a standout. I cherished nearly two hours in this picturesque setting, perfect for both photography enthusiasts and those seeking a relaxed picnic spot. Masroor Rock Cut Temple is not just a place; it's a reason to take pride in our rich heritage.

A small beautiful rock cut temple placed in Kangra valley near Lung town. According to a locals, the Pandavas of Mahabharata resided here during their incognito exile and built this temple. They left the temple unfinished as someone suspected on them. The place is quite and has a small pond which adds more beauty to the site. There is a ticket for 20 rupees that you can pay online by a qr scan available on the site.

Shri maa Chintpurani temple is one of the most divine, serene and beautiful religious place situated in Himachal pardesh. It is one of the 51 shaktipeethas of devi durga. Chintpurni Temple is located around 80 km from Dharamsala. The presiding deity is Goddess Chintpurni, who is said to remove worries, and is represented by a pindi (round stone idol). Legend has it that when Lord Vishnu severed Maa Sati's body in 51 parts to end Lord Shiva's dance of cosmic destruction, the parts got scattered over different places in India. Considered one of the most important among 51 shaktipeethas, it is believed the head of Goddess Shakti fell at Chintpurni.

Here are few tips for easy darshan:
Park the car in government parking place, take taxi that charge 200 per trip. Taxi drop point is gate no. 2.
Only taxis are allowed to reach at gate no.2.
Gate number 2 is near to the temple and with very less steps. It was very comfortable for MIL who has knees problem.
Right your feedback if you found this way for easy darshan.

Mata Chintpurni is a very popular temple in the Hindu community. A lot of people visit daily to seek the blessings of Mata Rani.
The temple is very well organized and the people management is amazing. There are two parking available and I would suggest parking your vehicle in the first parking which is the government one as the charges are quite low and you can get a darshan token from there.
The temple has started the lift, which wants to go directly in front of the darbar. The lift is free for old age people and handicapped people. But others have to pay a fee of 1100/- to avail of this service. Token for the loft is available is first parking only.

Ancient origin
When Lord Vishnu severed the burning body of Maa Sati into 51 pieces so that Lord Shiva would calm down and stop his Tandava, the pieces were scattered over various places in the Indian subcontinent. It is believed that Sati's head fell at this place and is thus considered one of the most important of the 51 Shakti Peethas.
The goddess residing in Chintpurni is also known by the name of Chhinnamastika. According to Markandeya Purana, goddess Chandi defeated the demons after a fierce battle but two of her yogini emanations (Jaya and Vijaya) were still thirsty for more blood. Goddess Chandi cut off her own head to quench Jaya and Vijaya's thirst for more blood.
She is usually shown holding her own severed head in her hand, drinking one stream of blood spurting from the arteries in her neck, while at her side are two naked yoginis, each of whom drinks another stream of blood.
Chhinnamasta, the headless goddess, is the Great Cosmic Power who helps the sincere and devoted yogi to dissolve his or her mind, including all the preconceived ideas, attachments and habits into the Pure Divine Consciousness. Cutting off the head suggests the separation of the mind from the body, that is the freedom of the consciousness from the material confines of the physical body.
According to Puranic traditions, Chhinnamastika Mata will be protected by Shiva – Rudra Mahadev in the four directions. There are four Shiva temples – Kaleshwar Mahadev in the east, Narayhana Mahadev in the west, Muchkund Mahadev in the north and Shiva Bari in the south – which are nearly equidistant from Chintpurni. This also confirms Chintpurni as the abode of Maa Chhinnamastika.

Chintpurni Temple is dedicated to Mata Chintpurni Devi who is also at times referred to as Mata Chinnamasta. Chinna means ‘without’ and Masta stands for ‘Head’.
Out of all the pieces, it is believed that Maa Sati’s head fell here, making it one of the most important Shaktipeeth. Mata Chintpurni Devi is a symbol of self-sacrifice and according to legend, she is protected by Lord Shiva in the four directions. As such, there are four temples surrounding the main temple. Kaleshwar Mahadev is present in the east, Narayhana Mahadev is found in the west, Shiva Bari in the south, and Muchkund Mahadev in the north.

Devi Talab Mandir is a Hindu temple dedicated to the Mother Goddess Durga, estimated to be over 200 years old. The temple offers a peaceful and serene environment, even during hot summer days. Visitors can enjoy the soothing breeze and devotional songs playing in the background, transporting them back in time to the era of Puranas.
Very peaceful and place of serenity even when the summer sun is shining in the mid day.. The breeze, the stotram or devotional songs in the background take you away to the era of the Puranas.

This is a divine temple dedicated Goddess Durga. Famous as Mata Tripurmalini Mandir, it is one of the Shakti Peeth among other 50 Shakti Peeths. There's a story behind the establishment of this mandir that when Maa Sati sacrificed herself after her own father, Daksha insulted Lord Shiva, then Shivji performed tandav dance in anger with Sati's body in his arms. Then in order to pacify lord Shiva & save the universe, Lord Vishnu cut Sati Mata's body in 51 pieces & wherever the pieces fell on earth a Shakti Peeth Temple was established for the welfare of humans. Mata Tripurmalini Mandir marks the spots that received Maa Sati's right breast.
It usually takes 4 to 5 hours to take a complete tour of the mandir. You can visit this temple with your family. There a Temple dedicated to goddess Kali and a replica of Amarnath Cave Temple has been added to the Temple Complex. It's a must visit place in Jalandhar. The experience was good, albeit a few things could have been better - I went with a small baby in a pram, and had to constantly lift the pram as there are no pathways for wheels, it's possible for people with wheelchairs to have similar problems so they should fix this. Another thing is that they don't let us back in after we leave, I get that there is a certain way, but we just left to keep something in the car, and couldn't come back in which was a major let down. All in all, a wonderful experience to witness authentic punjabi culture. I would definitely recommend visiting, but rather come at night than day as in day you can only click pictures and see statues and all, whereas in the night there are shows and activities like pottery wheel going on .

The Bhakra Dam, constructed between 1948 to 1963 on the Sutlej River, is a remarkable feat of architecture and one of the tallest concrete gravity dams in the world. Tourists can enjoy breathtaking views of the dam from various vantage points accessible by bus or personal vehicle. To visit from Nangal, visitors must have a pass from PRO and provide Aadhaar Card details. Boating in the sparkling blue water is an added attraction.
I want to extend my heartfelt appreciation for the remarkable Bhakra Dam situated in Himachal Pradesh. This engineering marvel stands as a testament to human ingenuity and determination. Its strategic role in providing hydroelectric power, irrigation, and flood control has immensely contributed to the region's development and prosperity.
The sheer scale and grandeur of the Bhakra Dam are awe-inspiring, reflecting the dedication and hard work of countless individuals who were involved in its construction. It has not only harnessed the power of water to generate electricity but has also transformed arid lands into fertile fields, enabling agricultural growth and improving the lives of countless people.
As a symbol of India's progress and resilience, the Bhakra Dam is a source of pride for the nation. Its impact on the economy, environment, and local communities is immeasurable. Let us express our gratitude to this monumental structure that continues to serve as a beacon of progress and a source of sustainable development.

The dam is spectacular. You need to take permits from the local authorities to visit. There is an office at the checkpoint for the same. Also, while the signboard are displayed on the route, it is somewhat tricky to find the correct route. It is better to confirm with the locals on major turns.
Photography is not allowed at the Dam but there are a few locations before and after where beautiful pictures of the dam facade and the reservoir can be clicked.
If you are also visiting Nainadevi (20 km / 30-35 minutes from there), it is better to start at the temple and view the dam on the way back as the time needed for the dam is not too much.

And off course, don't forget to enjoy boating in shining blue water, singing "Aaj blue hai paani paani...." Be there atleast before 2:00 as closing time is 3:30 pm, however you can still have beautiful Dam pictures on the way to Naina Devi. Avoid late evening/night travel as this is single road with many diversions.

Camera and clicking pictures is prohibited there due to security reasons. The statue of Jawaharlal Nehru at the top of the hill is also good. If you going from Nangal side, make sure to have a pass otherwise they will not let you enter the museum. Also make sure you have Adhaar Card as well to pass the checkpost. Avoid late evening/night travel as this is single road with many diversions.

That ji takes out fresh fish from us and that fish looks very good to eat. Do try it once. There are many greenery trees around the lake and there is a very nice environment which is good for good health by staying here every single night and there is Baba Balak Nath and Naina Devi temple to visit here. Permission is made before coming on time to come to Bhakra Dam.

Bhakra Nangal Dam is a concrete gravity dam on the Satluj River in Bhakra Village near Bilaspur in Bilaspur district, Himachal Pradesh in northern India. The dam forms the Gobind Sagar reservoir.

The journey after collection of permit was smooth. After a mini ghat section ,the moment you have the first glimpse of the engineering marvel, you really feel proud. You need not be an engineer to appreciate the construction. Just stand and admire. You are not supposed to click any images , for security reasons but visitors hardly obey that , which is sad.
Overall , this is a milestone of INDIAN History which every Indian should visit and admire
Best to visit bhakra Village where we can boating and also feels like Hills Beach.

Hardy's World is an amusement park that boasts a distinct waterpark, exhilarating rides, diverse dining options and live performances. The theme park offers an array of adrenaline-fueled attractions for thrill-seekers looking for a rush. Visitors can also take advantage of the park's numerous culinary choices to satisfy their hunger after experiencing all the entertainment it has to offer. With a separate waterpark as well, Hardy's World caters to those who want to cool down in style.
I recently visited Hardy's World Theme Park and had an amazing experience! The variety of rides and attractions kept me entertained throughout the day. The park was well-maintained, clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I particularly enjoyed [Go Kart, Drop Tower and Dragon Coaster]. Overall, it was a fantastic day out and I would highly recommend Hardy's World to anyone looking for a fun-filled adventure!

Worst emergency procedure in place. A fellow patron got hurt due to poor safety procedure on the water slide. The first aid box was a joke. When I tried to convince that I can manage his bleeding and asked for a pair of examination gloves, they had no gloves at all. They charge 800 rupees for one person but cannot buy a box of gloves which is like 400 rupees. They had no sterile gauze or cotton, no tape for dressing. No staff is trained to handle basic emergency. No staff is trained in CPR as well. Poor poor administration and management. Nice place to enjoy but you're stuffed if you meet with an accident on rides.

I wasn't informed beforehand that jeans shorts are not allowed at Hardy's World. Neither when I bought the ticket nor when I entered the park did anyone mention this rule. It was only when I approached the water area that guards informed me of this policy. It would have been helpful if this information was provided earlier, either when purchasing tickets or on the website. Unfortunately, my husband had to rent shorts from there, which wasn't ideal. This issue not occurred during my previous visit that time also same shorts were wearing by my husband. I hope the park updates its communication regarding clothing rules to prevent such inconveniences in the future.

Good water park and park
Activities. But food quickly is very bad.
Ticket prices :- 1000 without food and 1200 with food.
Note :- carry your own nylon t-shirt and shorts otherwise you need to rent it from here which will cost you around 200-300 approx.

I visited today to this amusement water park .Its great place to enjoy ur time and staff is very cooperative and professional. But one thing which I dislike that rides are so risky and long and the sitting arrangements for eating…is not large enough. Moreover they take 25-30 minutes to prepare ur ordered food which i think need to improve.Otherwise i just love this place and the thing i like the most when today a young girl drove into water into waves and the swimmer cum instructor immediately fallen into pool to rescue her from so much height.Fortunately the girl is rescued.I advise to the parents not let them go to children into deep waves pool at the end point because there is do much risk for children because of high surface of water .
Simran Virk — Google review
For water activities it's great. However, the slides are so risky. Slides not recommended for those who fear falling from top. For kids only water pool and wave side is fine. Don't take them towards slide.
Only cotton clothings allowed to enter in water pool area. If don't have, it's available on rent basis at nominal charges at the baggage counter.
A huge fun ride and park is there which can be enjoyed a little by kids. Small rides like Toy train and Caterpillar ride, some small garden swings, etc. may be enjoyed by kids. Rest all bigger ones are recommended for young people, friends and family group, as rides are again thrilling and heart wrenching.
Haunted house surely not for kids.
Overall the water park is good, neat and clean with attendants always available for help. Food and beverage services and for travellers a hotel is also available inside.

The reservoir is on the river Sutlej and is named in honour of Guru Gobind Singh, the tenth Sikh guru. One of the world's highest gravity dams, the Bhakra dam rises nearly 225.5 m above its lowest foundations. Under the supervision of the American dam-builder, Harvey Slocum,[3] work began in 1955 and was completed in 1962. To maintain the water level, the flow of the river Beas was channelized to Gobind Sagar by the Beas-Sutlej link which was accomplished in 1976.[4]

If you ever find yourself near Chandigarh, check out Virasat-e-Khalsa in Anandpur Sahib. It's a huge museum with lots of parking and green spaces around. The building is really cool, covered in fantastic art and graffiti. It's super clean and well-kept. When you step inside, it's like "wow"! You get to learn about the history of Punjab and Sikhism – they even tell you stories. It's a must-visit place, and you'll leave with a better understanding of the area's rich heritage.

What an amazing place to visit. Really well constructed and gives a good insight into Sikh history and also Punjabi culture. If you have kids in the family - definitely a must visit for them. On the day we visited I think the sound was down, as we did not get any headphones to listen to descriptions of items on display. Nonetheless we loved it and will bring back more family.

Virasat-e-Khalsa stands as a monumental testament to Punjab's rich culture, tumultuous history, and the sacrifices made by its people in the pursuit of independence. As you step into the expansive museum, you are immediately struck by the immaculate cleanliness and the breathtaking interiors that greet you. The museum's design seamlessly blends modern architecture with traditional elements, creating a captivating ambience that draws visitors into the heart of Punjab's narrative.
The museum's primary focus on showcasing Punjab's culture, history, and the valour of its warriors is evident in every corner. From intricate exhibits detailing significant historical events to poignant displays honoring the sacrifices made during the struggle for independence, Virasat-e-Khalsa serves as a poignant reminder of Punjab's enduring spirit.
One of the most striking aspects of the museum is its meticulous maintenance. Every corner is flawlessly preserved, ensuring that visitors can immerse themselves fully in the experience without distraction. The cleanliness and orderliness of the space further enhance the sense of reverence and respect for Punjab's heritage.
Despite the prohibition on photography inside the museum, this restriction serves to encourage visitors to fully engage with the exhibits and live in the moment. Instead of focusing on capturing images, visitors are encouraged to absorb the sights, sounds, and stories that surround them, creating a more profound and meaningful experience.
Each step taken within the museum's halls is accompanied by a sense of awe and reverence. Whether admiring the intricately designed interiors or reflecting on the sacrifices of Punjab's heroes, every moment spent at Virasat-e-Khalsa leaves a lasting impression.
In conclusion, Virasat-e-Khalsa is not merely a museum but a profound tribute to Punjab's rich heritage and the indomitable spirit of its people. With its clean and captivating spaces, meticulously curated exhibits, and unwavering dedication to preserving Punjab's legacy, it stands as a beacon of cultural pride and historical remembrance. A visit to Virasat-e-Khalsa is not just an educational experience but a deeply moving journey through Punjab's past, present, and future.

This Gurdwara commemorates the visit of tenth Guru Sri Gobind Singh. There is a fascinating story about this place. Here by the touch of the hoof of Guru's horse the red hot brick kiln (Bhatha) instantaneously cooled down. The then local Pathan Chief, Nihang Khan a sincere devotee of the Guru at a great personal risk, looked after the Guru and his followers. The gurudwara is on the main highway from Chandigarh to Kulu and Kangra valleys. Nearest airport Chandigarh is only 40 km away. It is only at a distance of 5 km from Ropar on the left bank of the river Sutlej, where remains of an old Harappan city of ancient civilization were discovered by Archaeological Department of Government of India.
The tourist bungalow on the left bank of the river Sutlej, is frequented by large number of tourists on their way to Bhakra Nangal, Kulu Valley, and Anandpur Gurdwara Bhatta Sahib is a historical Gurdwara where Guru Gobind Singh came four times. Guru ji came here for the first time in 1745 B.K. He was returning to Anandpur after winning the battle of Bhangani. It is said that when Guruji asked for a place to stay, the labourers working at the Bhatta - Kiln pointed towards the burning `Kiln'. Ignorent labourers did not realised whom they were talking too. As soon as the horse of Guru stepped on the burning kiln it became cold. Chaudhary Nihang Khan the owner of the Bhatta who was in his Qila was informed about this event. He rushed to Bhatta and to his astonishment saw Guru Gobind singh Ji sitting on the Bhatta. Chaudhary bowed his head in front of the Guru and asked for pardon.

If you're in the mood for some retail therapy, head to VR Punjab Mall - it'll have anything and everything your heart desires. With an impressive range of shops and restaurants on site, this mall is perfect for a day out with the family or friends. Plus, the well-thought out design and architecture is simply stunning!
According to me, this is the best mall after Elante mall in the tricity. I really loved the atmosphere here along with its environment. All shops are available. All brands' outlets/showrooms are here, restaurants are here along with a food court. It is way too big and spacious in comparison to Elante mall. Outside the mall you can also find garden and some beautiful spots to click pictures. Benches and seats are available for people to relax and to spend time . There's also a green old model car which is actually the attraction for people. Washrooms are well maintained along with cleanliness and hygiene. All corona protocols are well followed here. Talking about the parking fee...it's Rs 20/- on Monday to Thursday and on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and on Holidays it's Rs 30/- it's for two wheelers, i don't know about four wheelers. It's not even so far from Chandigarh. It's on the Kharar highway road . You can easily find it . Do visit here with your friends and family to have some great time .

Most of the Food outlets are on top floor, PVR is also on the same floor..kids play area is also available. A professional tailor service is also available on 1st floor.
Artificial jewellery and make up booth are also available on ground and 1st floor.
I feel Parking rates are too high for Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Loved this place. There are many rides. I visited with my family. They charges 1150/- for combo on Saturday for Amusement park as weel as Water park(Otherwise normal charges are 1000/- for Water park and 700/- for Amusement park seperately). There are 9-10 rides in Amusement park and 2 Slides in kids water pool and 4 slides in adult water pool. The rides are safe for kids. The water pool are maximum utpo 3 ft in both. The wave pool was working and people were enjoying a lot there. There is a food outlet in water prk and 1 restaurant in Amusement park. They charge 200-/ per plate for lunch if you but it from the restaurant and 150/- if you buy the lunch/thali coupon from front gate while buying the tickets. Tea and coffee is served in Amusement park only and not in water park food outlet. The Resturant staff is very polite, humble and cooperative. The staff of the water park and amusement park is cooperative and helpful. There is a lot of free parking palce. They also have a banquet hall names "Tricity Pride Banquet hall" For functions and parties. They have very big lawns inside the property. They have maintained the greenery, the lawns and park very well.
Now I would like to give a few suggestions to the management, if they really welcome the feedbacks:
1. Kindy provide neat and clean and hygienic washrooms. All washrooms must be taken care of if they are charging this much for the facilities.
2. The water must be replaced frequently especially the water in wave pool, which gets hot by the afternoon which means the same is not replaced.
4. Ladies changing Place in water park must be properly ventilated, as it is totally covered by curtains for privacy.
3. They can further add the new rides as available in other Such Parks in Tri-city and elsewhere.
We all enjoyed a lot and would recommend it to my friends and family as well for sure.
Kindy take my feedbacks positively.

Visited on Monday, so it was less crowded. Paid 1150 per person, ticket price is same for kids as well. Rs. 50 extra for swimming costume per piece, so for ladies it's 100 rs.
One can take their own cloths as well (which is good) overall i would rate 3.5 star ⭐

Though it was summer time with the sun giving us 40 degrees heat, the water park gave us the best relaxation and fun. Kids will also enjoy the pool activities.
Eateries are available inside the park, so no need to bring anything from outside.
Ladies and gents can get their costumes at the counter near the water park, cost effective and also get a locker to keep your belongings safe.

The Thunder Zone Amusement and Water Park is one such attraction, which caters to people of all age groups and provides them with exciting and thrilling rides to enjoy.
This place is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful amusement parks in all of northern India and was established on 15 May in 2002. Located just 13 kilometres away from the heart of the city, it is spread over a total land of 11 acres. Thunder Zone boasts of having many incredible amusement rides, water waves and slides for people to enjoy, other than four large pools in the water park; and the lush green lawns serve as the perfect backdrop for clicking some beautiful photographs after a day full of fun and enjoyment.
Thunder Zone Amusement and Water Park is a fantastic and exciting place to be at, and this second water park to be established in Chandigarh is gaining popularity with each passing day. This is why a visit to the amusement park is a must, to enjoy a relaxed and carefree day away from the hustle bustle and tensions of daily life.
