It’s sheer ware of money, time and effort. No tigers sighted. Did visit once before also, then also no success. A barren forest with few animals.

No proper parking but still charging Rs 50 . Approach to wash rooms is not proper. On the outside nowhere is mentioned that there is safari ticket booking counter. Wednesday safari is closed. It has three zones. July to September safari is closed, however Jeep Safari is allowed straight to pandupol Hanumanji Mandir and back . It's about 21 km from gate. Every Tuesday and Saturday through out year private vehicles are allowed by paying a fee of RS 380 to Hanumanji Mandir and back. Safari is conducted in two shifts morning starts around 6 am and noon shift around 3 pm. It is for app 3 hours

It is lovely place to explore, don't expect much in terms of spotting a Tiger. As Sariska is a huge area and limited tigers are there. As per my recent trips only 12 tigers are there in the whole Sariska Reserve.
But Jeep Safari is enjoyable and much fun. If you are planning to go there, better visit in Summer as Summer is the best time to spot the Tiger.

Did not see a single tiger...rather disappointing, plenty of monkeys, deers got a bit boring after a while to be honest. They should use drones to track their tigers.

Overall experience is good. If you want zipsy then book it in advance otherwise canter will available. Just check time slots before visiting. Chances of tiger sighting is low but if you have you are lucky enough you can
Mohit Yadav — Google review
There are 2 slots for the safari. One at 6:30 and another at 13:30. Gypsies can be only booked online. In-person booking only offers canter vans. It is recommended to book your slot one day prior (if online) or you can book on the same day (if offline).
The safari is of a good 150 to 180 minutes and gypsies offer a better experience than canter vans.

Wonderful experience. One of the best jungle safari. Guide was really nice. Carry water with you on safari as it gets really hot during this time of the year on afternoons rides. There are two different times one in morning and other one in afternoon. Please check timings before coming to safari gate.

Harshad Mata Temple is a beautiful temple located 33 kilometers from Dausa, next to the Chand Baori stepwell. It is dedicated to Harshat Mata, the goddess of joy and happiness. The temple's magnificent architecture and intricate sculptural styles are a visual delight.
This temple is evidence of muslim/islamic attack on Hindu temples. They brutally damaged temple each and every murti. It's a reminder what hindu faced during Mughal period.

Harṣat Mātā kā Mandir) is a Hindu temple in the Abhaneri (or "Abaneri") village of Rajasthan, in north-western India. The temple is now dedicated to a goddess called Harshat Mata, although some art historians theorize that it was originally a Vaishnavite shrine.

Harshat Mata Temple in Abaneri, Rajasthan (2019)
The original temple appears to have been built in the panchayatana style, which features a main shrine surrounded by four subsidiary shrines. Only parts of the main shrine now survive and they have been ruined and modified over several centuries, with the tall shikara tower replaced by a roof-dome. Much of the platform survives, with fragments of carved stones from the original structure, but most of the sculptures have been removed to the museums in Amer and jaipur.

I was there at noon so the temple was almost empty. The temple is located right next to the Chand Baori step well. At first, I didn't know it was the temple there. My curiosity took me to the temple. It was a small temple, yet it was old, quiet and beautiful. I had to say its architecture and design were super impressive. I spent some time there to pray and look around.

There is a mandap inside the temple which is built on pillars in a sanctum style scheme. The outer walls of the temple have Brahman bhadra niches and images of gods carved on them. There are fine sculptures that can be found in the upper shiver of the temple. The temple is dedicated to the goddess Harshat Mata who is considered to be the goddess of happiness and joy.

Idol of Harshad Mata here is new as the ancient one is stolen.
The aura of this temple is something else you heart won't allow you to leave this place.
Too peaceful enviornment, devottes are increasing day by day.
Architecture looks like Gurjar-Pratihar style
Many beautiful artifacts are on the sides of temple.
Once you visit here you would like to come again and again.
Bhangarh Fort is a complex of historical significance, built in 1631, featuring the remains of Hindu temples, royal palaces and tombs. Located about 1.5 hours away from Jaipur, this landmark is rumored to be one of India's most haunted places but it has been well-maintained and offers beautiful views. It is advisable to take a government-approved guide who can narrate interesting stories about the place while exploring its ruins.

I had a long time wish to visit this " Haunted" fort, so made it on October 2nd.
Far from being haunted, it's a well constructed fort, built in a lovely natural location, surrounded by lush green hills forming a natural Boundary.
Though it is partly ruined, with buildings having NO roofs, it's a very nicely designed fort, well laid out buildings, market place, temples, etc, with exquisite architecture, paintings on walls, roof, etc.
The whole complex seems to have experienced a natural disaster like earthquake, bringing down buildings & in turn killing all people, hence the stories about being haunted.
Visit it if you get a chance, it's beautiful.
Sanjoy Bhattacharya — Google review
It's probably the most peaceful attraction in India. Even though it's one of the most haunted places in the world, it's really worth a visit during the day. The city must have been very gigantic in the past. Get a local tour guide so you would enjoy the interesting story behind it. Night visits are not allowed. Try to come out before dawn.

Easy walking (there are steps) a visit is max 2 hours. You’ll see the royal palace, 2-3 temples, fortifications, and where the people used to live. Not much signage. Need a guide. Best to visit around 7-7:30 to avoid heat and crowds.
No water or toilets.

I saw many reptiles and insects in real like bat and this worm 🪱. Go there on a good weather day . And you have to buy tickets for 2 times. While parking your vehicle and while entering. You can't park anywhere around because it's not allowed . Hope it was helpful. Thank you ✨

It’s said to be the most haunted place which is a lie. There is nothing called ghosts here. People tend to believe that all forts and palaces have spirits etc etc but that’s not true. Beautiful historical place to be visited. 2-3 hours is good time to roam around.

A stunning abandoned fort on the shadows of the Aravalli Hills, the ruins include rows of old bazar buildings, temples, gates, gardens and a palace.
The location, setting, strangler fog trees and overall appeal make this place otherworldly and something out of a movie set.
Come during the end of the day towards sunset and the entire place is yours, but leave before it’s completely dark or else you might be locked in which will be a bad idea.

The fort's grounds are peaceful throughout the day because of the little waterfall and temples that have been painstakingly sculpted there. The ruins of a few palaces located inside the fort are convincing evidence of the fort's former glory. The fort's peaceful daytime environment and the fact that it is an architectural masterpiece would have made it a popular tourist destination.

Bhangarh fort is situated in Aravali hills in Alwar district. The fort has been made famous as it’s termed a most ‘haunted’ fort of India or even Asia.
It is a ruined fort city with five temples, a bazar, Purohit Ki Haveli, Nathan ki Haveli and a reconstructed palace.
Interesting to note that no statues are available inside the temples or in palace. Bazaar and Havelis are roofless.
Fort was constructed in 1573 by Raja Bhagwant Das. It is not clear as to how and when the fort was abandoned.
Guide may tell interesting stories of black magic, tantric and ghosts which are amusing. Better hear from him and enjoy!
Scenery is beautiful.
Opens at 9 in the morning and closes by 5 or 5.30 depending on season.
Charges for parking and entry.
No restaurant inside or nearby.
Afternoons are hot.

Bhangarh fort was established by Madho Singh, the younger brother of Man Singh. It was a planned city with walls all around and four gates. It was a busy commercial center of its time. Folklore has it that it was cursed by a hermit who lived on the nearby hill top and the fort became deserted overnight. It became a ghost town and still now has the distinction of being labelled as one of the most haunted places on Earth. There are four temples inside the fort but only one, the Someshwar Mahadev, has a deity in it. No one is allowed to stay in the fort after sunset and only eight guards remain at the main gate, near a Hanuman temple. There have been reports of many paranormal activities & accidents in the past but the last twenty years or so have not witnessed any such things. The fort is maintained in a very good condition and the tickets are reasonably priced at ₹25/-. Private parking is also available @ ₹100/- per vehicle. It is around 100 km from Alwar and 30 km from Dausa on Alwar Dausa road. The road condition is not good.

The biggest thing is that there is no ghost here. This is just an illusion of the mind

Need a full day to visit here, no other site seeing you can include in this trip. If you have extra time in hand then you can visit here. Otherwise not much to see.
Now Guides are available there. They charge differently depending on the tourist. So bargain hard.
Otherwise if you know the fort background story then you can roam around also.
Beware of Monkeys. Don't carry foods.
Village Chandanpur of Karauli District in Rajasthan, India is popularly known as Shri Mahaveer Ji because of famous Digamber Jain temple of Lord Mahaveer ji. This small village is approximately 110kms away from Sawai Madhopur town and 130kms from Bharatpur, Rajasthan. 200 years ago this small village became famous as a Jain religious site after an ancient idol of Lord Mahaveer was excavated from its soil several hundred years ago. Great temple of Jain society. The special thing about this temple is that the idol of Lord Mahavira, the Tirthankar in this temple, came out from Bhugarva and this idol was taken out by a cowherd (cow's milkman). When he came to know about this, when the cow started coming out on its own, then the cowherd dug on the wah, then this idol has come out of the wah, and for better information you go and see it. You will like it very much.
Thank you

Massage for the body is a beauty treatment, with various techniques offering benefits to the skin (including the application of beauty products) and increasing mental well-being.[2] Hair removal is offered at some beauty salons through treatments such as waxing and threading. Some beauty salons also style hair instead of requiring clients to go to a separate hair salon. Some also offer sun tanning via tanning beds.
Another popular beauty treatment specific to the face is known as a facial. The perceived effects of a facial mask treatment include revitalization, healing, or refreshment of the skin. They may yield temporary benefits depending on environmental, dietary, and other skincare factors. Although customers seek out these services for anti-aging or anti-inflammatory results, there is little to no objective evidence that there are any long-term benefits to the various available facial treatments.[3]
Specialized beauty salons known as nail salons offer treatments such as manicures and pedicures for the nails.[citation needed] A manicure is a treatment for the hands that involves trimming and filing of the fingernails and softening the cuticles in preparation for the application of nail polish. A pedicure is a treatment for the feet that involves trimming and filing of the toenails in preparation for the application of nail polish, as well as the softening or removal of calluses.[

No words can describe the beauty, serenity, sanctity, spirituality of this temple, built on river Gambhir. It is one of the important pilgrim site of Jains within state of Rajasthan. The main Pratima Ji is very ancient and there is story of how it was unearthed.
Note - It’s not a tourist place and hence follow strict guidelines of Temple Authorities.

A very popular Jain temple 5-6 hours of comfortable drive from Delhi and Jaipur. Very good facilities for an overnight stay. An associated naturopathy centre provides an additional cost effective treatment

A beautiful temple! The ceiling design inside the temple is beautiful! It has lots of writings on the side of the temple about the history. The kulhad doodh is also good! 💖

Stayed with family on 23rd April 2023. Temple is too good but Vardhaman dharamshala was ( we booked 3 rooms online , no choice was accorded to select the dharamshala) not at all worth stay. Toilets were in very bad shape. I wonder how trustees have closed eyes on cleanliness.

Mahaviray namah.
THIS IS NOT JUST A TIRTH BUT A WHOLE CITY OUT THERE.
Famous tirth place for Jains where people come to take Darshan of Mahavir Bhagwan.
This place is crowded all the time.
Lot of shops outside the temple.
Generally people stay there for a night and lot of rooms available with reasonable price.
Food outside has ok ok in taste.
The Temple is build in very large space and give you peace after getting Darshan of God.
Normally all the time the place is HOT, you will get sweat for sure.
Cannot rate the holy place. But must visit.

Amber Palace, also known as Amer Fort, is a stunning architectural marvel in Jaipur that showcases an exquisite blend of Indian and Mughal styles. This historical site was home to wealthy Maharajas and features intricate designs in pink and yellow sandstone with white marble embellishments. Visitors can enjoy elephant rides up the cobbled path to experience royal treatment. The fort's beauty has been preserved through centuries of war and conflict, making it a must-see attraction.
Amazing experience. The fort is beautiful and the guide takes you around the fort explaining all the details and key notes about the history. There are several view points and photography points to take good pictures. You can also take elephant ride inside the fort. Must visit palace!

Must visit, before reading Wiki or after hiring a guide but beware..you will end up buying the stuff you don't need. Tip - visit at the earliest to get ample parking space. Take your car and follow google map, it will show you entire path till parking on top. Any car can go above, provided you can drive or if it's an old car, you can still go with ease if you simply reach there early morning around 8. Ticker counter opens at 8AM

The fort is marvelous! It has got all the pomp it could have. You will start enjoying its beauty as we touch the road towards the fort. There are elephant rides that take you to the fort, which foreigners hardly miss😅. It is very big, every structure in the fort is intricately decorated, thoughtfully created. I think it's one of the few forts in India which stands with that level of preservation. This fort is truly an identity of the 'Gulabi Sheher'! Jaipur trip can't be complete without a visit to Amber fort.

Lovely fort. Must visit if you are in Jaipur and you love forts. The place is humongous. The front portion of the fort looks mesmerizing with the lake in front. Try to visit there as early as possible. The place holds so much history and is built for such a long time. Every section of the fort has something or other to offer. Check out all the places. Just imagining while standing there as what it might have felt in its prime is magnificent.

Jaipur trip must start with Amer/Amber fort. Highly recommended to visit in evening so that one can enjoy the lights in the Palace.
Hire a local guide and a Jeep to carry you from the parking space to the top of fort. May try personal vehicle if familiar.
There is a light and sound show but locals don't recommend it.
Hiring the guide is must to understand the history of the palace.

Absolutely a must to visit. Ride up to the fort in jeeps as the road is narrow and steep. Watch out for the elephants. The fort is in sections according to the ages it was built and extended. The hall of mirrors is stunning. Shine your phone torch up towards the roof and it's like stars sparkling . The gardens in one section are beautifully kept and show what it must have looked like. The views from the top and along the ridge of the hills show what an amazing feat of work it was to build it and defend it.

Incredible, beautiful and well maintained, Huge in area and would take whole day to see the fort. The fort amazing example of a well maintained fort. Has a very detailed explanation of how the fort was built, its significance along with explanation on each. The view you get of the fort when you are about to reach the fort is quite mesmerizing. Definitely worth visiting if you are in Jaipur. Do check out Nahargarh too if you can, feel the royalty of king as well as feel the beauty of this place. I would like to recommend you please go early morning after 9. Am so you can see full fort .This is very big fort you need whole day to see all.

It is a great historical place, if you are planning to see tourist places in Jaipur you must visit this particular place. It is advisable to hire only an official guide which has been available on the upper side of the palace near the ticket counter.

Amber Fort needs maintenance, Although it is declared as a world heritage site. Such as restoration of painting, walls, etc, so that it can attract more visitors. They need to maintain parking facilities at the front and rear gates.

A historical palace and a must visit fort in Jaipur. This fort will take around 2-3 hours to visit entirely. The interiors of the fort are mesmerizing. If you take the guide, they will explain all the history of the palace, which is very interesting. There is a cave from within the palace that goes to Jaigarh fort, but it closes at 4. The fort looks even better in the evening when the lighting starts.
You can either walk up the stairs to reach the palace, or take a jeep (Rs. 500 per jeep for up and down) or take your own car to the top where there is parking space available.
There is also a light and sound show that tells the history of the fort's construction and expansion. The entrance of the light and sound show is at a different place outside the palace. You can take your own car to the light and sound show place, won't recommend taking the auto or jeep from the parking for this.

Fantastic place with so much history. Make sure to get a guide (400 or so rupees) to really learn what this beautiful place was all about. Massive palace sitting on the mountain in the middle of a jungle. Such a wonder how these structures were built so long ago and are still standing so sturdy today. The sun and water palace is amazing.

My first fort and palace visit.
Enjoyed well.
Road to the palace was cool and enjoyable.
To cover every nook and corner, you need to walk but not faster.
Walking through the tunnel was really good.
Imagine the people who actually lived at those periods to get the actual feel.
Take water and snacks for your refreshment.

City of forts and palaces - Jaipur. When you are driving from Delhi Amber Palace is the 1st palace you will encounter. This Palace is located 10-12km form city on the outskirts overlooking the city. Its a very huge palace from where you can see the walls on the hills. We visited here around 15:00 in April. It was very hot. If you are reaching in noon do take a water bottle and a cap. Don't get in touch with any local guide as they give wrong information's. We can take our own vehicle up and till the entrance of the palace.
This palace needs an entry ticket of 50/- per head (Both offline & online available). Also, night light show is available and it starts from 19:00 till 22:00 with 21:30 as last entry. A beautiful place to see the sunset tooo.
Enjoy the beauty of AMBER Palace/.!!
Cheers guys.!!🙌🍻

Fort is beautiful. It gets really hot during the summer so recommended travel is in slightly cooler days. There is no wheel chair accessibility to the top. There are folks asking for elephant rides near the ticket counter, it’s a humble request do not do it - since the elephants are poorly treated and sometimes they scam you by taking you nowhere.

One of the best places in Jaipur. The fort is simple and neat. The fort's narrow route through the Amer Village is a unique experience that comes along. Note: Opting out a guide will be a good add-on.
(There is a "light Show" after 7:30pm, but i missed it.)

A must see in Jaipur. It’s grandeur and beauty is well maintained and the view from the palace is awesome. Be prepared for a long walk. I recommend visiting early in the morning, with a guide and possibly during off season. We were told that during peak season the wait time for vehicles to climb the hill is 2 hours or more. Do visit the ancient temples nearby.

Stepping into Amer Fort, also known as Amber Palace, in Jaipur was an awe-inspiring experience for me, as it was my first encounter with such a grand and historic fort. Nestled within the city, this fortress is a treasure trove of architectural marvels and rich history.
The sheer size of Amer Fort is overwhelming, with vast halls, spacious rooms, and towering walls that transport you back in time. The intricate artwork adorning the walls is nothing short of amazing, showcasing the craftsmanship of an era long gone. As I explored the fort, I discovered hidden tunnels, adding a touch of mystery to the adventure.
Spending 5-6 hours in Amer Fort is a journey into the past, offering insights into how kings lived in an era devoid of today's technology. The ingenious ways they maintained room temperatures and the lavish quarters for queens are captivating facets that make the visit truly enlightening.
While guides abound, sharing intriguing stories about the fort, hiring one isn't necessary. Numerous knowledgeable locals are more than willing to share tales, making it easy to absorb the rich history without the need for a formal guide.

Amber Fort in Jaipur is like a magical castle on a hill. It's made of beautiful white marble, yellow, and pink stones, making it look like a fairy tale. Getting there can be a bit tricky because the road is steep and full of people. Finding a parking spot is tough too, but that's because everyone wants to see this amazing fort—it's the number one attraction in Jaipur!
Once you make it to the top, though, it's like stepping into a royal storybook. The fort is super old and has incredible designs everywhere. You can feel the history in every corner. And oh, the views from the top are breathtaking! You can see all around Jaipur, and it's like a dream.
Even though it can get crowded, especially at the parking area, Amber Fort is a must-visit if you want to know about India's kings and queens. The place is so special, and the views make it even more magical. Don't miss it if you're in Jaipur!

It's a bit off the city center but it's really worth a visit. The place is built on top of the mountain with the wall construction similar to the Great Wall of China in a much shorter distance. Temple was probably nice some years back, but now full of dirt and rubbish. Monkeys were outside of the temple and almost none inside. At this moment I cannot recommend this place.

The place is very beautiful and quiet. The old buildings are renovated but still there is a scope for cleanliness. The water in the pond is clear but the around area is not that cleaned. Children take bath in it and people wash their clothes.
The temple uphill is the oldest temple of Lord Hanuman. Many people come to this temple often. And there are other temples also.
There is some trekking area also uphill side.
purnima singh — Google review
I would not recommend going there. The buildings itself are amazing, and the site could be really beautiful, but it was honestly one of the dirtiest places I've seen. Even the slum in Mumbai seemed to be taken care of more than here. Sure, monkeys produce food waste, but literally nobody is taking care of that area, instead they charge a lot of money for walking through rubbish. And you have to pay extra to take your phone, which is ridiculous because where else would I put it?!
There are plenty of other beautiful places you can go when in Jaipur.
Also, the tuktuk drivers there are a rip-off as well. They charge a lot more than when coming to that place and if this isn't enough, when they drop you off, they try the "the rate was per person, you need to pay double". My advice, pay what you agreed on in the first place, pay it when you are outside of the tuktuk and firmly walk away. Disgusting behavior.

This was one of my favorite sights in Jaipur!
We came early in the morning at sunrise and it was a magical experience. We were the only tourists and it was a magnificent sight. The sunrise was beautiful and the swarm of monkeys that suddenly came was cool. The monkeys were adorable and very playful. I can recommend this place to anyone that want a great experience!
The cost is 50 INR for each camera you bring. Same price for foreigners as for locals.
Word of warning: The locals will try to get you into their shrines there is scattered around and then pressure you for money.

The one you want to see is the galta ji temple. This one is nothing. Also it gets really dirty here and the locals do not maintain the actual temples. But you will see an abudance of monkeys and can even feed them
Jaskarn Bains — Google review
Even though the location is quite spectacular, and there truly are hundreds of monkeys, the place did not convince me because it was poorly maintained and dirty. Be ready to give donations on several places there, since there are many temples inside. Also, the main building was closed since start of covid.

The temple is a gorgeously located near a hilly area and hence there is no access to the main shrine. You will find monkeys lingering around in enormous numbers. A wonderful experience is ensured. It seems difficult to get a cab here. Hence it is recommended to take necessary precautions. The premises were not very clean during my visit.
Anjusree Krishnan — Google review
Architecturally the temple complex itself is stunning and set in picturesque hills. Unfortunately they have got a bit of a scam going on to charge foreigners, and try to short change them, then once inside continually harass you for donations. Pick one funding model and go with it, either it’s ticketed entry or donation, but you can’t do both! I’m not sure where the money is actually going, since there is trash everywhere and no preservation / restoration works seem to have ever been attempted.
Jamie Hunt — Google review
Disgusting mess. Absolute disgrace and rip off to charge tourists to see the filthy litter everywhere. Couldn't bare to stay longer than 5 minutes before leaving. Be better, management.
Richard Duffy — Google review
Amazing geography and architecture, the temple is set in between the mountains. Vibe is immaculate - people singing and playing music and swimming in the holy water.
Great place to see and feed monkeys (they're Macaques). Paid entry and you can get a guide. It was also very cool here as the breeze flows between the mountains.
Note that the monkeys are given so many bananas that they sometimes won't eat them. Our guide used salty chips, which the monkeys loved.
Narender Kumar — Google review
Unfortunately would not recommend. While it was lovely to see all of the monkeys roaming around, for a popular tourist attraction the temple was not well looked after and there was trash everywhere, arguably the most littered temple I’ve been to so far in India. Quite sad to see all of the monkeys and other animals eating the rubbish that was in the river, which ruined the entire experience. The people that work here are only there to get your money, they commented that the rubbish situation was awful but had no incentive to clear up. There were no bins anywhere either, which would have significantly helped. There is an additional charge to take pictures, which costs more than the entrance ticket and is an outright scam!. Hope someone with authority sees this comment and decides to take action. Very disappointing.
Alicia Wainhouse — Google review
Off the beaten track and hence almost no tourists. If you want to have monkeys eating out of your hand take a packet of crisps (they like salt and vinegar). It costs extra to take a camera or phone in so leave any others in the car.

And if you keep climbing towards the Sun Temple, you’ll have magnificent views of Jaipur.

Very nice place. And some very nice buildings. The water is beautiful. It's about an 15min walk before you reach the temple but it's worth it. The monkeys are cool, but be careful if you are carrying food. They will approach you if you they smell something.

Airy quarters in a laid-back hotel offering a restaurant & a terrace, plus countryside views.
We visited Fort Madogarh during winter and had a very comfortable stay. The staff are wonderful and our room was an absolute delight. What other reviewers say is true, there were blackouts, but personally the experience we had here was significantly better than several 3 and 4 star hotels in the bigger cities and the people working here made it a delight. I was able to live out a dream of staying in a castle and while some other places we stayed were more fully renovated, they didn't have the spectacular views and the smiling staff. We visited with intrepid and for me this was the absolute highlight of our trip.
Aaron Leyshon — Google review
A building of great character and interest, BUT the staff mostly had an extremely 'can't be bothered' attitude, the plumbing was very poor. The beer was served warm until we complained, the buffet dinner was average but the breakfast was very poor compared with all other Indian hotels we have stayed in.
A dog in the hotel yard barked hourly and kept many of us awake.
It could be so much better given good management and better staff.

Please note only people who book rooms for stay are allowed inside. Visitors those who want to explore the fort from inside, even if ready to pay entry fee, or eat something inside as it is a resort is not possible. We even requested over phone as we went from Jaipur to visit the fort, however our request was declined. The fort has been converted and not restored.

Oh no. I didn't have a great time here, mostly because there were a lot of bugs in the room.
The fort is fun to explore, definitely a playground. The history is amazing, the views are impressive. And the staff is so kind that I hate to leave a sad review.
No AC, weak wifi (only in common area), no hot water -- not problems. So many bugs (particularly spiders) in the room is a problem for me.
I stayed here as part of an Intrepid tour, and it was by far my least favorite moment. Others in my tour group said it was their favorite stay of the trip, so I think it really depends on which room you get.

Mixed Feelings at Fort Madhogarh - Beautiful Views but Lacking Comfort
Fort Madhogarh, located near Jaipur, is an exceptionally beautiful place with stunning views that left a lasting impression on me. However, my overall experience was somewhat dampened by the lack of comfort in the accommodations.
Being aware that there was no air conditioning, I was prepared to rely on the provided desert cooler. Unfortunately, the cooler was not functioning properly during my stay, and this significantly impacted my ability to get a good night's sleep. The staff did fix the cooler the following morning, but it was too late for me to benefit from it.
In addition to the cooler issue, the beds were quite small and uncomfortable for a person of my height (6 feet). I also had to request that the staff replace the sheets on the bed, which was not an ideal experience.
On the positive side, the staff member who attended to us was kind and accommodating. However, it was apparent that the hotel was understaffed, with only one person responsible for most of the work.
As for the food, I was disappointed to find out that the meals were brought in from outside and not freshly prepared on the premises. The reheated chapatis lacked freshness and taste. Additionally, the electricity was unstable during our stay, with several interruptions over the course of the night.
While the beauty and views of Fort Madhogarh are undeniable, the overall experience did not meet my expectations. The lack of comfort and basic amenities, coupled with the malfunctioning cooler, left me feeling unsatisfied. If you plan on staying here, be prepared to make some compromises for the sake of the stunning location.

During the less than 24 hours I spent at the Fort, we experienced 6 blackouts, no water supply in most rooms and definitely no air conditioning. The rooms were dangerously warm at night with no relief. I ended up having to sleep on a couch in the central lobby area, as it was a bit cooler. Not to mention the infestation of ants, silverfish, beetles and mosquitos.
Would not recommend anyone stay here.

Stayed here with an Intrepid Travel tour. It was magical to sit up on the terrace overlooking the little town, sipping tea and watching the sunset. The next morning they served us breakfast up there too.

The meal was nice and tasty and the views above the Fort at sunset were 360 degree beautiful. We all enjoyed dressing up in traditional clothing, for fun after dinner. The walk to the village was enjoyable and just loved the children. Rooms were great and the whole atmosphere here was super special.

The Trinetra Ganesh Temple is situated inside a fortress that is centuries-old, and it is notable for housing the complete family of Lord Ganesha. The temple can be accessed through a beautiful road that passes through a forest reserve, offering breathtaking views along the way and from the fort. To fully appreciate the enchanting stories behind both the fort and temples on premise, it's advisable to hire a guide.
This temples is in the premise of a beautiful fort dating back to 9th century. The approach road is through the forest reserve road; the views along the way and from the fort are breathtaking. Do take a guide along to know all the enchanting stories of the fort and temples on premise.
The sad part was absolute lack of maintenance and upkeep of the fort. Too much litter all around, too much damage by visitors evident on the walls.

The Trinetra Ganesh Temple is one of the oldest temples in India, built with red Karauli stone. It is situated inside the premises of the Ranthambore Fort, which is one of the most famous tourist attractions in all of Rajasthan
But it is situated at top of a fort and you need to walk there ,in between you can find so many langoors and they are very lovely
If possible you can offer some fruit to them.

* **Fort Views:** Being located within the fort walls, the temple offers scenic views of the surrounding landscape. You might even be able to see parts of Ranthambore National Park.
**Accessibility:** The temple requires climbing stairs, which may be difficult for visitors with knee problems or limited mobility.

Trinetra Ganesha Temple is a unique temple as pointed by other reviewers. Another interesting fact is that the people in the region also send the first wedding invitation to Ganesh ji in this temple.
How to reach: it is situated atop Ranthambore fort at a distance of around 6-7 km from the main town. The entry point is through the national park and then there is approximately 15 minutes of drive. The narrow road is made of stones so the ride is going to bumpy and you have to be very careful while going up. After the ride, you'll have to hike for another 15 minutes to reach the temple. There is a parking lot at the base of the fort.
A local committee charges 20 rupees for vehicles.
Hike and the fort: 15 minutes of easy hike majority of which includes the walk on the stairs. There are many temple inside the fort including Annapurna temple, Kalika ma temple, Sita Ram temple and a Jain temple. You get beautiful view of the forest and the lake from the fort.
Timings: I visited the temple on 3rd October 2022 at around 1PM and it was scorching hot. So I would recommend people going there in the morning, the temple remains open from 06:00 Am to 04:00 PM.
Trinetra Ganesha Temple: the temple was divine and the murtis of Ganesha ji and family were marvellous. There are a few shops near the temple and you can buy water, sweets and snacks. However, the temple administration should focus on maintaining the cleanliness.

Visited Ganesh ji temple in June 2023. To visit this temple you will need to go from Ranthambore fort. It requires at least two hours to visit with family. You will find many photo shoot locations while visiting this temple. Ganesh ji is seated in this temple with Devi ridhi and Sidhi and his sons. Avoid going to this temple on Wednesday and Ganesh chaturthi as these days there is a huge rush. You can also visit nearby Kalika temple, Shri laxminarayan temple etc. I would surely recommend this place while visiting ranthambore. Photography and videography is strictly prohibited 🚫 inside temple.

A Divine Trek with Majestic Views. I recently had the privilege of visiting the Lord Ganesh Temple nestled atop an ancient fort, and the experience was nothing short of awe-inspiring. The journey to the temple begins with a trek up to the summit, a path that not only tests your physical endurance but also rewards you with nature's beauty at every step.
The Lord Ganesh Temple atop the ancient fort is a hidden gem that marries spirituality with nature's splendor. The invigorating trek to the summit rewards you with both a sense of devotion and breathtaking vistas of the encompassing mountains. A truly divine experience amidst nature's embrace.

Ganesh temple located at the top of a hill inside the world heritage Ranthambore fort
There are many steps to the temple along the fort, so though the journey is scenic, it can be challenging for elderly. Also, you can get a guide as there are many of them offering their services.
The place is surrounded by beautiful scenery overlooking the Ranthambore tiger reserve and mountains and valleys.
The temple is simple and modest. You'll find ample of small shops, cafes and sellers of offerings and garlands as is the norm outside all Indian temples.
Beware of the monkeys though as they can be pretty aggressive at times

Ganesh temple was good. You gotta climb a few fort stairs to reach there. The disappointing thing was that people have littered there a lot and scribbled the historic walls. Imposing charges on entries and banning plastic will make it even more amazing. I will highly recommend to visit the fort as well as the temple.

Trinetra Ganesh Temple in Ranthambore fort is a remarkable place that holds a fascinating history. This temple, which is approximately 724 years old, houses a unique Ganesha statue that isn't man-made but a natural creation that emerged from the rock itself. The sight of this ancient statue is awe-inspiring and instills a sense of divine connection.
Legend has it that Lord Ganesha revealed himself to a sage who meditated at this very spot, thus giving birth to the Trinetra Ganesh Temple. Over the centuries, the temple has become a sacred destination for devotees seeking blessings and fulfilling their heartfelt wishes.
However, visitors are advised not to trek during peak hours of the daytime, especially in summer, due to scorching temperatures. It's essential to stay hydrated and take necessary precautions to avoid any health issues during the journey. Make sure to reach temple before 4 pm as there is no entry after 4pm.
When planning your visit, make sure to carry enough cash, as the temple's location might result in no network coverage, and online transactions are not possible once you reach the temple premises.
In conclusion, Trinetra Ganesh Temple in Ranthambore is a place of spiritual significance with a mesmerizing natural Ganesha statue that leaves a lasting impression on its visitors. Devotees are sure to find solace and fulfillment in their prayers if offered with a pure heart and sincerity. A visit to this sacred site is a unique and spiritually enriching experience, but proper planning and timing are essential to make the most of the journey.

The Ranthambore National Park, located in the Sawai Madhopur district, is a well-known destination for wildlife enthusiasts who want to observe tigers in their natural habitat. Once a royal game reserve of Maharaja, this scenic park also houses various ruins. The best time and areas to spot these majestic animals are Sector 4 & 5 during evening safari. The forest provides an excellent safari experience with knowledgeable guides and drivers who have expertise in locating tigers.
That's great to see the tiger in the sector 4 & 5 at the evening time. Nice forest to have safari with a great safari experience. Driver and guide both were too good with lot of experience about the tiger spotting.
and book the tickets directly from the govt site and 3rd party brokers charge around 1500 and you and directly book tickets from govt site at around 720 per person!! popular zones are 2,4 and 5.

Try going for a jeep safari as that is a much better experience. The drivers and guides are really good and try their best for a sighting. The tiger reserve in Ranthambore has over 80 tigers currently residing along with jackals , mongoose , crocodiles , bears , deer and hyenas. The place has lush greenery and a beautiful atmosphere. The place is serene and there is a 70% chance of spotting a tiger. Though it's recommended to visit any zone from 1 to 5 but preferably go to zone 2 as it has many watering holes thus there are higher chances of finding a tiger. We found six tigers on day 1 and three tigers in day 2 both in zone 2. The tigers are majestic creatures and the national animal of India. I advise you to please maintain the decorum in the reserve and don't scare the animals. You can go to the reserve via gypsy or canter. It is beneficial if you ride a canter. Rest assured you will love the experience. Enjoy the nature retreat.

Please know before you go that there is no guarantee you will see tigers! They say that you should book multiple tours to increase your chances. With that said, I was lucky when I went that we saw two tigers during their mating session. Otherwise I probably would not have rated it 4 stars. Other than the two tigers, there really wasn’t too much other wildlife in the park. It was actually quite barren.

Viewing the dangerous wild tigers at a short distance in their natural wild environment during jungle safari is indeed an unforgettable wildlife experience of whole life! And Ranthambore National Park Tiger Safari in Rajasthan, INDIA makes this dream possible. We took the safari on Jan 3rd morning and experienced tiger encounter for almost an hour in Zone 3. The tiger followed one of our safari too. The experience was unforgettable and great family time spent together. We were 15 of us with three Safari's. Our safari guides were all amazing and it depends a lot on them for the tiger sightings. They follow the calls of other animals to spot the tigers. Apart from the tigers we spotted a lot of other varieties of animals and birds as well.

The best time to visit for tiger sighting is before monsoon as most zones are closed after, make sure to book in advance, and wear neutral colors on safari. Better experience with gypsy than canter. There are two check points, no one is allowed to get out of the car in the jungle. Even if you don't see tigers go for the scenery!!

First of all, Tiger is the main Attraction here and you have to be clear that seeing a Tiger is purely just LUCK !
Advance booking is highly recommended as the offline booking counters are not efficient and systematic
The reserve forest is of 10 different zones and have two shifts for safari rides
Either it's a canter or gypsy, seeing tiger is not guaranteed. You will be provided with a guide and driver
But still you can explore the other animals like deers, peacock, snake and experience the ride through the woods
Don't keep your expectations high for the tiger

Go with family and friends and enjoy the jungle time. Nice hotels there to stay. I am unable to recall my resort but I will check and update it later. Avoid going in luxury car as most of the terrain is rough. My resort is recommended as food was awesome, it had pool and not far from places.
Go for safari and in the same day see the museum as well as pick up is near museum. Book well in advance and ask your hotel to book. It was about 110-1300 per person. Take water bottle and some snacks along.
Go and enjoy. Don't go in peak summer or rainy season. You will be in open vehicle for 1-3 hours so wear your shades and sunscreen as well 😁👍🏼.

Stunning national park with beautiful views at sunrise. Mixture of grassland, woodland and desert rock. Visited three times for a "tiger safari" which mainly consisted of deer and monkeys. Love that 80% of the park is not visited by humans and hopefully this means that the tigers in the area are well protected. They remained elusive throughout this trip although signs of then were seen and heard. Lovely experience but my advice would be don't expect to see any tigers!

One of the best Tiger Reserves in India is located here, it’s a 1700square km forested area. I was told only 20% of the area is open for public to do safaris. All in there are 10 different gates for safari. One can choose which gates the one to go. Chances of seeing the Majestic Bengal Tiger is quite high here, again depending on your luck and other factors.
There are two types of vehicles going into the park for Safari the canter and 4WD jeeps.
Breathtaking scenery awaits you with many wildlife to be seen very close to the tracks.
This place will give you a great unforgettable safari experience.
Most guides are well experienced and will give you great insight about the park and the tigers u see.

This National Park serves as a sanctuary for various species of fauna and flora. It's notable for Tigers of which there are 80+ in the park at the time of this review. It's also a rare grey forest area where visibility is easily 1-2km this making it the most ideal National Park to sight tigers among other animals. Definitely worth visiting and enjoying the safari. Safaris are by zones and you may or may not be lucky to sight a tiger in your zone. Nonetheless the safari experience itself is worth it. Note though that the best time to visit is in the summer (June-July). If you do the winter safari make sure to layer up as the wind chill effect really brings the cold in.

Had two great safari drives in Ranthambore. On the first we saw Samba Deer, Crocodiles and a Jungle Cat.
On the second drive, we had seen the above again but little else. In the last 30 minutes, we saw a leopard, sloth bear and then the Royal Bengal Tiger. Completely excited truck full of happy people.
Only minor negatives being lack of commentary from safari guide and definite language barrier

Never been on a tiger reserve safari ride before, the park was nice as it’s a natural setting with a lake inside but didn’t have the “wow” scenic factor. We were the only group that spotted the tiger nicknamed “Challenger”, he was a beauty! There were peacocks, deers, monkeys, bats, alligators and other small animals. However an unexpected highlight of the day was a flock of super friendly birds flying around us. Btw.. there is public toilets inside the park in case “nature calls”..

We did four Safaris but were lucky to see the big cat in Zone 2 only. But it was as thrilling as it can get. Also saw leopard in same zone. Prefer zone 1 to 5 for better chances. Avoid zone 7, 8 and 9 as Tiger spotting here is much less. Our guide told is that chances of spotting the Tiger in summer, May & June, are much brighter as the animals come to water holes.
Avoid booking through unscrupulous agents.

- Compared to other forts in Rajasthan, Taragrh has lost it's beauty.
- Lady managing the parking lot misbehave with tourists. The staff at the fort cares nothing about it.
- After a long steep trail leading towards Rani Mahal, you hope for a opulent Rani palace but you get is ruins and a dirty stepwell.

Located on the Nagpahadi hill, one of the tall mountains of the Aravalli range, Taragarh Fort is a magnificent fortress. It stands at an elevation of 1426 feet atop the mountain peak, serving as an excellent example of a hill fort. Also known as the "Fort of Bundi," it was constructed by Rao Deva Hada, the founder of Bundi, in the 14th century (1354). Three grand gates were built to enter this fortress situated on the steep slope of the Aravalli mountains. The construction of this fort was carried out by Rao Bar Singh Hada, and its gates are known as Lakshmi Pol, Hathi Pol, and Bhoota Darwaza, along with Gaugarh Gate. The Hathi Pol gate is adorned with colossal elephant statues. The palaces within the fort are unique due to their architectural finesse and fresco paintings. Among these palaces, Chattar Mahal, Aniruddha Mahal, Ratan Mahal, Badal Mahal, and Phool Mahal are prominent.

Taragarh palace is a heart of bundi. You can visit here anytime. Personally i don't like it as precious things inside it can't be protected and renew time to time. Ticket Price is not value for money.

It's an amazing historical fort from where you can get a good view of the city, however it is ill maintained. The city of Bundi has a lot potential to develop as a tourist destination but the government is not interested to bring Bundi on the tourist map of India.
Historically
It is a massive fort in Bundi and built at a height of 500 meters on a hill by Rao Singh Bar in the 13th century under the reign of King Ajaypal Chauhan. Built in 1354 AD, although the fort is now in a ramshackle state, the Taragarh Fort still remains one of the most impressive forts in Rajasthan. It is built on a steep hill and now is overgrown by vegetation.
Unlike most forts in Rajasthan which are made of Sandstone the Taragarh Fort is made of serpentine stone which is green in colour. It remains one of the few forts in Rajasthan which does not show influences of Mughal style of art and architecture.

Bundi is a must visit off-beat destination in Rajasthan. Taragarh fort is a perfect example of Rajasthani culture, art and heritage. The Intricate carvings and Paintings will take you back in time and will feel you mesmerized.
The Fort is quite well maintained and is not crowded as other forts/palaces, which makes it a perfect place for sustainable travelling.

Garh Palace is a historical attraction comprising of a grand Rajput castle and several smaller palaces dating back to the 17th century. The castle boasts stunning wall murals, which are well-preserved by the management. Tourists can visit several palaces within the palace complex, including Chatra Mahal, Badal Mahal, Phool Mahal, Sinhasan and Ratan Daulat,Hathi Pol,and Chitrashaala.
Majestic fort complex made by hada rajput dynasty of Bundi. lot of storeys made one above the other along the hills. Architecture, strength and good cooling effects. Some storeys are still not opened. Govt should renovate this beautiful heritage site and increase the amenities especially accessibility

Entrance:
There is a steep walk to reach the main entrance. Its advisable to take water bottle from the ticketing window as you wont find anything to drink or eat once inside the fort.
View:
The top of the fort gives a panoramic view of the Bundi town.
Inside:
Its more of a fort than a palace. A small portion of this monument is preserved while the rest is mostly in ruins. When we visited, it was being renovated. There is one garden in the entrance which is well maintained.
Terrace:
Terrace is a must visit to soak in the sun in winters. Here is where you can see the entire town and a nearby lake.
Beware of monkeys and also honey bees as they build combs frequently.
Staff:
The staff is quite helpful and cautious and will help you with directions.
All in all - must visit if you are in Bundi.

Very nice palace and beautiful paintings. The guards a very helpful and open the different rooms for you to see the paintings.
On the other hand…very disappointed that I could not access the fort…the way to the fort is full of big and agressive monkeys…even the guards are telling you to be careful. Something should be done regarding the monkeys because at the end you cannot do the full visit.

As such Bundi is a small and dirty place but it has a gem in the form of Garh Palace. There is a entry ticket as almost all of it is still owned by Royals of Bundi. There is a small free parking near the entrance but you may find a irritating and rude woman claiming to be parking attendant. Beware of her, she is a fraud. There are strange rules as one can use mobile to take pictures and make videos but one cannot use selfie stick. Inside Garh Palace there are different palaces constructed by different kings. All worth visiting like Badal Mahal. King's throne made of marble is unique and amazing. There is also Chitralekha with beautiful garden, shivling and a gallery of Bundi's paintings. Chitralekha is maintained by Archeological Survey of India and paintings are stunningly beautiful. Also inside Garh Palace is the Bundi fort. The fort covers the whole of the hills which surround Bundi. Inside the fort one has to be very careful as wild monkeys are there and they do attack. Go in big groups and carry sturdy sticks. I loved Garh Palace, if you are unfortunate to be in Bundi due to some bad luck, you can still visit Garh Palace to redeem bad luck.

Raniji Ki Baoli is a well-known stepwell situated in the vibrant town of Bundi, Rajasthan. The stepwell was constructed in the 17th century by Rani Nathavati ji and is around 46 meters deep with intricate carvings and a pillared, arched entrance. It holds immense historical significance as it was treated like a temple in the past and revered as sacred.
Stepwells, the sacred structures!
The colorful town of Bundi is crowned as the city of stepwells. And a visit to Bundi is incomplete without visiting the most famous Raniji Ki Baoli.
Built in the 17th Century by Rani Nathavati ji, the stepwell is beautifully ornate like a Goddess. In fact in his stories, he local guide at the site describes the entire structure as a form of Goddess Durga and explain all parts of the baoli as representation of mother Goddess Durga. It is not surprising, all baolis were treated like temples in the past, highly revered and sacred.

Rani Ki Ji Baori was built in 1699 by Rani Nathavati Ji, the younger queen of Rao Raja Anirudh Singh, ruler of Bundi. Rani Nathavati Ji was married to the king, as his second wife, because his first wife was not able to give him an heir. However, after Rani Nathavati Ji gave birth to a son, she was cast aside by the jealous first wife.
She turned her energies to public projects and building stepwells, and Rani Ki Ji Baori is the largest in Bundi. It’s a multi-storied structure, 150-feet deep, covered in intricate and superbly executed carvings.
The stepwell has a narrow entrance, with four pillars joined at the top by slender arches decorated by intricately carved stone brackets. Stone elephants stand in each corner. There are also places of worship on every floor, which is unique in a stepwell.
P.s. it is close at 5 p.m.

Good place for an evening outing with family. It houses miniature models of 7 wonders of the world: pyramid, Roman Colosseum, Eiffel Tower, Taj Mahal, Statue of Liberty, Christ the Redeemer, tower of Pisa. Kids can play in the park and see the wonders. You can click good pictures in the park. It’s well maintained and clean place. Some eateries are there in the park for refreshments and fast food. Vehicle parking is there at the entrance at very nominal price.
Just on the lakeside of Kishor Sagar lake in Kota, these seven wonders are miniaturised version of great structures and monuments in the world like Eiffel Tower, Leaning tower of Pisa, Pyramids, Taj Mahal etc. Beautifully built, they are a treat to the eyes and look majestic near the lake providing a beautiful vista. It looks much more beautiful in the evening when colourful lights are illuminated on the structures. This is a ticketed entry but very nominal. Do visit if you are in Kota. Fooding options are very limited, only one cafe but not very good. Otherwise a great place to spend time in the evening.

Seven Wonders in Kota is a decent place to visit, but it falls short in capturing the essence of an ancient environment. While efforts have been made to create a good experience, there's a noticeable lack of authenticity that leaves visitors wanting more.
The replicas of the seven wonders are well-made, showcasing impressive craftsmanship. However, the overall ambiance fails to transport visitors to the awe-inspiring settings of these ancient marvels. There's a missing element that prevents a truly immersive experience.
Despite this, Seven Wonders still offers some enjoyable moments, especially for those interested in architecture and historical monuments. It can be a fun outing for families and groups looking to appreciate iconic landmarks in a condensed format.

City Mall in Kota is a bustling hub, undoubtedly the busiest in town. While it offers a vast array of brand shops, catering to diverse shopping needs, the overall experience can be overwhelming due to the crowd. The presence of popular fast-food chains like Burger King and McDonald's provides convenient eating options, though the mall lacks a distinct culinary identity. Local restaurants add a touch of variety. However, the noise and congestion can detract from the shopping experience. If you're looking for a vibrant but hectic shopping destination with mainstream food choices, City Mall fits the bill.

One of the most beautiful and serene places. Location is well-known, and the view of the Chambal River is breathtaking. A short, level hike in an adventurous location. The Mahadev Mandir is quiet and peaceful and beautiful, with a nearby waterfall. You must pay a little price at the location that is under government totalitarianism. The Baroli Temples Complex is located in Baroli village in Rawatbhata City in Chittorgarh district in Rajasthan, India. The complex is located close to the rocky bank of the Chambal River, 45 kilometres (28 mi) south east of Kota, on the outer limits of Rawatbhata City. Set around a natural fountain, they are positioned in two zones in the midst of a forest containing peepal, kadamba, mango, and jamun trees.
Though the history of the Baroli Temples is not very clear, they are reported to have been built during the Gurjara-Pratihara Empire in the 10th–11th centuries. They are one of the earliest temple complexes in Rajasthan.A carved stone image of the god Nataraja was stolen from the Baroli temple complex in 1998. It has been traced to a private collector in London. However, the statue has now been recovered.
The 10th-century Baroli Temples are of great architectural interest, consisting of temple structures built in the Gurjara-Pratihara architectural style, with exquisitely carved stonework. They are in differing stages of upkeep, with some in a semi-ruined state.
There are 8 major temples in Baroli and a ninth about one kilometre away. Four temples are dedicated to Shiva (including Ghateshwara Mahadeva Temple), two to Durga and one each to Shiva-Trimurti, Vishnu and Ganesha.
The Nataraja (Natesha) images carved in these temples are similar to those seen at Upramala. The sculpture has 16 arms and its headdress is matted. There is a large diadem carved at the centre top of the skull, which is "garnished with beaded swags." The facial features are very fine, with high arched brows and full mouth.
The Ghateshwara Mahadeva temple is the most prominent and the largest in the complex. The main temple structure comprises the sanctum (garbhagriha) and the mukhamandapa, a front mandapa or hall.Dated to the early 10th century, it is an intact structure that has the god Shiva depicted in the form of five lingas. One linga appears like an inverted ghata or pot, and hence the name was given to the temple of "Ghateshwara" (pot-Lord), while "Mahadeva" is a term for Shiva. The sanctum has a ceiling in the form of a large blossoming lotus. The temple has a finely carved shikara(pinnacle) above the sanctum. The superstructure has been described as a latina and the pinnacle is a phamsana. The entire superstructure is supported by six pillars and two pilasters. The pilasters, which are part of the sanctum wall, project from the wallby two-thirds of its width, and have niches encased with sculptures.
The mukhamandapa serves as a pillared entrance that leads to the sanctum. Shiva's mount Nandi (the bull) is installed between the mukhamandapa and the sanctum. The niches inside the temple are decorated with elegantly carved images of Andhakantaka (shiva slaying the demon Andhaka), Nataraja (Shiva as the Lord of dance) and the goddess Chamunda; similar images are also carved on the lintel above the entrance door. The mukhamandapa also has many carved images of semi-clad, dancing apsaras (heavenly nymphs). The ceiling is decorated with concentric forms with coiffured cusps.
The Sringar Chauri or rangamandapa (the hall of dance) is a later addition to the temple, situated just outside it. The large pillared hall is built over a raised platform called a pitha, which has decorative carvings.

Baroli Temples –
Ancient Indian Artitecture
Group of 9-11 temples are placed here from around 11th century. This complex is so beautifully decorated with decorative trees & flowering plants & along with the ancient & historic look of the temples, the overall effect is divine. Such exquisitely carved idols & rock cut structures are rarely found anywhere. Most disheartening thing is that some idols & brutally damaged by invaders centuries ago & it's beyond repair. This place is still missing from the outer side of the country. It can be developed as a tourist destination. Very huge & marvelous structures can be seen here. It must be protected for future generations.

If your want Puja for Mangal Dosh, it's done here only on Tuesday. On the first floor, the puja and havan is done and offering is done on Second floor. You can simply visit the temple and pay your visit. But for puja, one needs to have a receipt made. Don't search for Mangalnath Mandir on Google. It will direct to you to some different place if you are looking for Mangal Dosh puja.

I visited this mandir on 23rd of june. At that time there is renovation work is going on. I visited this place while i was going to mahakaleshwar jyotirlinga. As per pundit this is the centre of India and this is the birth place of Mangal dev who is also known as mangla garah or mars planet. Mangal dosh can be removed by worshipping here. From main gat to front of the mandir is clean, but when you came from other side to front there is rocks and palette which can poke or hurt your foot. In mandir ther is 4 or 5 place of worship or say pundits are sitting, in which shiva linga, Mangal bhagwan, Hanuman bhagwan etc. Can be worshipped and on all places there is pandit who is mantra chanting while you go there. Outside it there is shops of parshad and flowers and other things. They have settings with auto drivers and auto drivers took you to them as they got there commissions for it. And they are selling things in basket set and they are not giving you one or 2 thing by saying no in this mandir all these things required. Aside of it there is river.

Initially I don't believe in traditional rituals, but later in life I realize the importance of such things. I got to know about this website during a google-search. It is a very informative website. Later, we contacted Pandit Vijay Bharti Ji, to discuss about the Kundli matching and Mangal Dosh Shanti Pujan. He also performed the Puja for us, and now we realize the effects of such pooja. Our life seems more shorted after that puja. Thus, to all non-believers, I would like to suggest that try our traditional rituals once from the right person, and see the difference by yourself.
Nidhi Kulshresth — Google review
Recently got a chance to meet Pandit Vijay Bharti Ji. Obviously, the reason is Mangal Dosh. Moreover, under the guidance of Pandit Ji, I performed the Bhat Puja, and now I am experiencing the changes.
Disclaimer: I was a non-believer. However, after going through many challenges, and their traditional remedies, now I started believing.

The Shree Kaal Bhairav Mandir in Ujjain is a Hindu temple dedicated to the city's guardian deity. One unique feature is the offering of liquor to the god, as it is believed that this will help fade away life's issues. Visitors can pray and then drink or give the liquor as a gift.
Amazing place to go. Unique temple . So much happiness .. you got to get liquor for the god and pray. Post which you get to drink it or can give it to someone there . Since Kala Bhairava likes Liquor , we got to get one for him. It denotes that liquor will help us to fade away the issues we have in life.

I am from Chennai and used to temples of different kind and different practices. But I loved this place. This temple has very intense vibes and even amidst crowd I felt calm inside and out. In google it says 24 hours open but not so, they close at 10 pm. 9 pm is aarti time. It is crowded all through the year I heard. Shree Kaal Bhairav here is the protecting deity for Ujjain and Mahakaleshwar. Alcohol is one of the offerings here. It is sold outside the temple. There are many shops around the temple. Plenty of car parking. Few hours of waiting in the queue and chanting His name while standing in the line is not an issue for you, you will love the place and be charged up for sure.

Shree Kaal Bhairav Mandir is one of the famous temples of Ujjain which remain crowded most of the time! Large number of devotees can be seen but crowd management is poor and it is free for all. If wish, worship Kaal Bahrain with a bottle of liquor which can be bought from the market leading to temple!

Very intense and powerful temple.
There is a unique thing about this temple which is, devotees offer liquor to the idol. This felt very interesting and surprising.
There was very very long queue and so many people who have come to visit the temple. But line moved decently quick. Darshan took 1hr 30min.

The Kaal Bhairav Temple is a sacred Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Bhairava, a fierce manifestation of Lord Shiva. It is located in the city of Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, India. The temple is renowned for its association with the deity Kaal Bhairav, who is worshipped as the guardian of time.
Devotees believe that offering prayers at the Kaal Bhairav Temple can help mitigate the effects of unfavorable planetary influences and bring blessings for prosperity and protection. The temple is especially crowded on Sundays and during the festival of Kaal Bhairav Ashtami, which falls on the eighth day of the Krishna Paksha (waning phase of the moon) in the Hindu month of Margashirsha (November-December).
One notable feature of the temple is the practice of offering alcohol to Lord Bhairava as a part of worship, which is unique among Hindu temples. The belief is that offering liquor symbolizes the offering of one's ego and desires to the deity, seeking his protection and guidance.
Overall, the Kaal Bhairav Temple in Ujjain is a significant pilgrimage site for devotees of Lord Bhairava and those seeking blessings for protection and prosperity.

One of the most sacred and worshipped temple in Ujjain after Mahakal Mandir. First people seek blessings from Mahakal Mandir and then visit here. Near to these temple it also has Bhairav Ghat where you can have Holy Bath and Boat Riding, you can also see some of the most scenic sunset here it depends on climatic conditions. Management is perfect here for visiting people whether it is crowded or not. Soul and Heart becomes more Divine & Peaceful after worshipping to God here such a holy place it is. When I visited these holy place some people told me earlier to take alcohol as a offering to God and what I see is their are wine shops from which people are purchasing as per belief, but reality was different management staff restricted people from offering alcohol to God "Shree Kaal Bhairavji" don't know the exact reason but still people were offering alcohol at the backside of temple which was terrible as it made floor slippery, surrounding dirty, muddy and stinky. No problem for food near by, you can have fast food or snacks like pani puri, corn chaat etc, & must try here is khicha or papad which is fried and served with mirch masala. For children's their is also a enjoyable camel ride here when these holy place is much crowded. E-Rickshaw & Auto are the most convenient means of transport here. Main Road linked to these place is Ring Road.

Jai Kala Bhairav! Jai Mahakal! Kala bhairav is referred to as ujjain’s guard. He is the protector of Ujjain. The temple is amazing. You feel energetic once you enter it. Whiskey is offered to the lord kala bhairav. You can buy from the Prasad shop. It’s outside the premises. But during saawan month it is not offered.

Very spiritual place. There were a lot of crowd when I visited during the week days. I started to stand in queue around 12:30 and we ended around 2:30. It's a tradition to offer liquor to Kala Bhairava. Nowadays it's not allowed, but some devotees do offer it. The devotees hand over the liquor bottles to the priest, who pours the liquor in a saucer. He then offers prayers and takes the saucer near the deity's lips, which have a slit. He tilts the plate a bit, and the liquor starts disappearing.

This temple has more crowd than the Mahakal temple. The reason might be lack of management. It takes more than 2 hours to stand in the line & visit the main deity. The road that leads to the temple is also dirty. And one thing you must keep in mind that, here liquor is offered to God as Prasad. So if you can consume the Prasad then only offer it to God or else don't offer. This place needs more managing same like the Mahakaleshwar temple.

The present-day temple structure was built over the remains of an older temple. The original temple is believed to have been built by an obscure king named Bhadrasen. It has been mentioned in the Avanti Khanda of the Skanda Purana.Images of Shiva, Parvati, Vishnu and Ganesha belonging to the Paramara period (9th-13th century CE) have been recovered from the place. The temple walls were once decorated with Malwa paintings. However, only traces of these paintings are visible now.
The present-day temple structure shows Maratha influence. According to the local tradition, after the Maratha defeat in the Third Battle of Panipat (1761 CE), the Maratha general Mahadaji Shinde offered his pagri (turban) to the deity, praying for victory in his campaign to restore the Maratha rule in North India. After successfully resurrecting Maratha power, he carried out restoration of the temple.
A replica of the temple has been established on the Bhuj-Mundra road in Gujarat.

This temple is very famous for the visitors coming to Ujjain. But there is no management in this temple, there is neither provision of drinking water nor any kind of shade from the temple side. Devotees are forced to stand under the open sky. The management here should provide basic facilities to the visiting devotees so that they can plan to come again. Any devotee who comes here comes with the trust of God. There should be separate arrangements for darshan for the elderly and the disabled. I hope this comment of mine reaches the temple management and necessary action is taken.

You can see a wine shop near temple which is crowded by devotees.

Sandipani Ashram is a holy shrine which is built in remembrance of the Maharishi Sandipani and is considered one of the famous tourist spots in Ujjain. According to mythology, it is believed that this is the ashram where Guru Sandipani used to teach Shri Krishna, his friend Sudama and Lord Krishna's brother Balram. Ashram now looks more like a temple and three idols of Krishna, Balram and Sudama are present along with that of Guru Sandipani. There is also a stone where numerals 1 to 100 found engraved and is believed to be done by guru Sandipani himself.
The ashram complex is huge and with vast stretches of land. There are a lot of shrines but obviously, the main shrine belongs to Guru Sandipani. One of the temples situated here, called Sarveshwar Mahadev, houses a 6000-year Shivlinga with Shesnaag is in its natural form, and is believed to be worshipped by Guru Sandipani and his disciples. Ashram also has a huge stepped tank called Gomati Kund, in which Lord Krishna summoned all the holy water from the holy centers so that Guru Sandipani finds it easier to get the holy water. The water of this pond is believed to be sacred and so, devotees fill their water bottles here and take the water home.

The vicinity around the ashram, known as Ankpat, is believed to have been where Lord Krishna washed his writings. The stone with numbers from 1 to 100 is thought to have been carved by Guru Sandipani. The Gomti Kund, mentioned in ancient texts, once provided water to the ashram. People do visit this place after mahakaleshwar, kaal bhairav darshan. It’s a peaceful place with a huge kund right inside the compound. No one is allowed to enter the Gomti kund though.
If you have your car, you’ll have to park outside on the road somewhere. Lots of fruit waalas, goti soda and other things outside this ashram. If you love history, then you must visit and read everywhere.

The Chintamani Temple is a very famous temple in India. It was not crowded during the weekend as well. The darshan was done within 10 minutes. The temple has many things to buy in it's vicinity. Also there are chats and snacks to try but panipuri was not that good though. The temple has many priests sitting to tie the thread on your hand and answer many of your queries if you like.

Another important temple to visit in the holy town of Dewas, if you're here to pay obeisance at the Maa Chamunda Devi mandir. Kaila Devi mandir is located just 15-20 minutes away from the former.
Apart from Rajasthan's Kaila Devi who's the presiding deity, there are numerous other temples located to other divinities.
