We planned this as a half day trip from Nagpur. 1.5 hours each way, 1-1.5 hours to visit the fort, temple, Kalidasa memorial etc., and if one wants to make a stop for breakfast/lunch (we stopped at MKHS plaza on the highway) - altogether 5-5.5 hours should be sufficient. A Swift Dzire rented car charged Rs.3,000.
This was somewhat a hurriedly planned trip, and hence, did not have the opportunity to research. Still, I felt there’s not much information available either on the government tourism websites or open internet. All I got to find out that this houses a place for Agastya-muni ashram, near which Lord Rama with his family came and stayed for some time during their exile. The present day temple was built by Nagpur’s Maratha ruler Raghuji Bhosale in 18th century… I assumed that the fort was probably built by Marathas also.
I didn’t see any signage of ASI etc, and I hope the fort and temple is preserved, documented from archeological perspective as well, if not already being done.
The fort and temple are easily accessible with not more than 50 steps all combined, I guess. The temples are very we maintained and clean. The view of Ramtek city from the top of the temple walls are breathtaking.
One should be careful about monkeys.
Restrooms are not in best of the shapes, and can certainly be improved for convenience of visitors.
Overall, very good experience as a half-day trip from Nagpur.
Rajarshi Saha — Google review
The place is ok for a one day visit. The temple is very old and has immense historical importance. There are a plenty of hawkers and monkeys prevalent around the temple area so be careful with your belongings. The views from the place is good.

A place full of nature an incredibly empowering place because of Lord Shri Ram Mandir it's just makes us feel who you are...
It's a perfect destination for weekend with family must vist place near by nagpur city.

This Gadh Mandir is situated at Ram Tekadi ( Ram Hill ) in Ratek.. A very big temple of Lord Ram is here...Its a bhonsle dynasty temple architecture is very big & beautiful...Some renovation work is going on my last visit.. Ram Navami & Tipur Pornima are big festivals are celebrated here You may visit if you want to visit a temple as this is the most famous temple around Nagpur. By road, it takes around 90 mins to reach from Nagpur. After reaching, you may park at the base of the mountain and take the hundreds of steps to the temple, or you may drive to the top and then you would just need to climb around 25 to 30 steps that come after intervals.
The temple compound is clean, but devoid of maintenance. Old structures could have been maintained better.
The temple area is supposed to be full of monkeys, but fortunately we didnt see more than one troupe of 5-6 monkeys. These monkeys are know to snatch things from your hand, hoping to find food. It is advised that you do not carry any purse or mobile phone or any bag while visiting the temple.

Nice place to visit n weekend, so also, experience trekking, if u r planning to visit this place by climbing d mountain whereupon same is situated, either by 'Choti Payri' or 'Mothi Payri', i.e., Small or Big Steps/ Stairway.
Personally, hv njoyed climbing, via, Choti Payri during rainy season & winter season.
Reasonably well maintained stairway, but, at d same time Temple is n dilapidated condition.
U may visit d temple by vehicle too.
No charges of whatsoever nature required to be paid.
Beware of monkeys.

Ramtek temple is famous old temple made by Bhonsalas ( Royal King Family of nagpur).
It's very much famous due black monkeys over there, they are very much polite and ask you for some peanuts or chanas.
You can feed them without fear by you hand, it's only place I seen where monkeys touches and pick your hand and took channa from you hand gently but if you do any misbehave with them then you may have suffer from their anger, so be careful while feeding them.
Don't hide your pockets from them if they ask you and picks your leg, show them if they are asking you to show, if empty they will leave you and go to someone else for their food.
Must careful while carrying bags, better to leave in your vehicle.
Fantastic view.
Nice trinket shops around.
Nice and even staircase.
It is the average temple, but look and feels like a fort.
it's photographic with contrasting colors.
Temple sanctum is nice.
Go there in mornings. We went in late afternoon on a summer day.
Memorable experience over there.
Everyone should go and enjoy.

The Pench River winds through this protected national park with tigers, elephants, gaur & leopards.
One of the best national parks IMHO ... Multiple gates for safari. One can book stay n safari together. 4 safaris minimum are recommended. Turia gate experience was best. Very punctual, good coordinated execution. Driver n guide are knowledgeable. Chances of spotting a tiger or leopard are high here. Ample birds n other animals can b spotted easily. A good jungle experience I would say.

Exploring Pench National Tiger Reserve was a mesmerizing adventure, surrounded by a captivating jungle landscape. During our four-hour safari in an open-top jeep, we marveled at the diverse array of wildlife, including wild dogs, panthers, majestic tigers, and graceful deer. The thrill of encountering bison and the enchanting sight of numerous birds added to the overall fantastic and fascinating experience.

Wonderful experience for kids and adults alike. Had some real good sightings of Tiger, Leopard, Deer, and Birds. The guides were extremely knowledgeable. It does get hot pretty soon though, so make sure you start early, around 5 15 or 5 30 from your resorts. From 6 AM to 9 AM, you should get some real good sightings time. Post that, afternoon safaris will get real hot, but greater chances of really good sightings. April to May is the prime season for sightings as well because the heat makes the animals wander out for water. will definitely come back here next year.

Most have heard of the park and would have done enough research before visiting . DO NOT come with the expectation of seeing a tiger on safari . That needs a lot of luck . You could see deer . And when they take u to core sector , remember u r only allowed in 15 % or less of the core sector . It's the safari people job to say sighting done yesterday and full chance , but it's all on your luck .

Pench Tiger Reserve, nestled in the heart of India, is a mesmerizing destination for wildlife enthusiasts. Spanning over 758 sq km across Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra, this reserve is named after the Pench River, which meanders through the park. Inspired by its stunning wilderness, Rudyard Kipling immortalized Pench in 'The Jungle Book', making it a place of global literary significance.
The reserve's biodiversity is its most compelling feature. Home to a significant population of majestic Royal Bengal tigers, Pench offers a high probability of tiger sightings.
Safaris in Pench are well-organized, with knowledgeable guides adding immense value to the wildlife experience. The thrill of encountering a tiger in its natural habitat is unparalleled and the heart of the Pench experience. However, it's not just about tigers; the park's overall ecosystem is a testament to successful conservation efforts. becoz we were not able to view the tigers so closely except Laxmi from far
In summary, Pench Tiger Reserve offers a quintessential Indian wildlife experience. Its rich biodiversity, high chance of tiger sightings, and captivating landscapes make it a standout destination. While there are conservation challenges, the reserve's commitment to protecting its diverse inhabitants is evident, making a visit here both exhilarating and enlightening.

Been here twice. Sightings are good. Plenty of Tigers and leopards around.
All the guides and drivers are good. The forest officials take care of the park well.
The park is not very big compared to some of the other forest reserves in the country but it is nice. Teak trees primarily in the jungle. The safari pathways are well laid out and not very bumpy.
There are a few separate entries to the park but i have always taken the Turia gate entry. The park opens at exact time after proper verification.
It is about one and half hours drive from tbe Nagpur airport with enough stay options available.
Booking your safari in advance is advised.

Had a great stay at Tiger N Woods. Place is super comfy, clean, beautiful, and well-maintained. The experience of staying at a machan was absolutely amazing. There's lots of greenery around. There's a pool, play area, and a seating area outside to just sit, chill, and have interesting conversations under the starry night sky. The food served on all 4 days of the trip was delicious. The food is amazing and there service is really good.
Non veg curry in dinner only.
Full packed breakfast is ready at 4:30 for morning safari which starts at 5:30 to 5:45
This place is within 5 mins of driving distance from Core Gate Turia.
Sometimes early morning you can hear deer calling ( signaling presence of big cats). Thrilling but not dangerous..

We booked this for 1 night but the amenities we could not enjoy were the pool as it's directly in front of the reception and the restaurant so zero privacy so we could not enjoy it.
The room we got was not properly dusted and our small private pool was not cleaned or ready for us.
The food was the only decent thing about the resort.
We also had a very annoying experience after the checkout process where they reception was continuously calling because THEY FORGOT to bill us a few things such as water bottle when we were checking out.

It's not worth the money we paid.
Location is good, providing the view of jungle from your rooms. And service was quick and good too. The wooden Machan cottages are not worth the price. Taste of food is pretty average. They don't have much activities to do in the premises. The restaurant cum dining area could be kept cooler in the scorching summer heat. Overall it's an average place which charges you way more than it's worth.

I recently had the privilege of staying at the most incredible resort and it was truly the best vacation experience I have ever had. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with exceptional hospitality from the staff who went above and beyond to make sure my stay was comfortable and memorable. The resort was beautifully designed with stunning landscapes, incredible architecture, and state-of-the-art amenities.
The rooms were spacious, clean, and well-appointed with all the modern conveniences one could ask for. The bed was so comfortable, the linens were of the highest quality, and the view from my room was simply breathtaking. Every detail was carefully crafted to create a relaxing and comfortable atmosphere.
But what truly made my stay at this resort so special was the exceptional service provided by the staff. The hospitality was second to none, and every single person I interacted with was friendly, professional, and always eager to help. The manager was especially impressive, with a level of dedication and passion for his work that was truly inspiring. He was always available to answer any questions I had and went out of his way to ensure that my stay was a success.
In addition to the exceptional service, the food at this resort was a true highlight. The Indian sweets were authentic and absolutely delicious, and the chefs were happy to bake anything I desired. The food was always fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented.
Had a truly remarkable experience at the resort! The view from the room and balcony is a highlight, and the bonus of seeing a deer at night makes it even more special. The washroom with a big glass window offering a forest view is unique and adds to the overall ambiance of being surrounded by nature. The availability of a bonfire and a pool, as well as a dedicated area for parties and functions, are all great amenities. All in all, it seems like the resort has everything you need for a memorable and enjoyable stay.
In conclusion, my stay at this resort was truly unforgettable. From the beautiful surroundings to the warm hospitality of the staff, every aspect of my experience was first-rate. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a luxurious and memorable vacation, and I cannot wait to return!
I'm not adding any photo with this review reason is I feel photo can't justify the actual beauty of this place,
sometimes, photos can only capture a small part of the overall experience, and the true beauty of a place often lies in the intangible elements like atmosphere, emotions, and memories. Writing a descriptive review can help others get a sense of the beauty you experienced and inspire them to visit the place for themselves. So, go ahead and enjoy your trip and paint a picture with your words!

The resort has a variety of rooms and we stayed in the Tent room. The room was very comfortable, big and very nicely made. The bathroom has a sunken tub which is very nice and the shower area is also well appointed. The general cleanliness has to be improved and the food variety was very ok and repetitive. The best part of the resort was the service. Not a single waiter, cleaner, manager or bartender has disappointed us. The whole staff was fantastic, helpful and always smiling. Worth a visit, but for the price charged the cleanliness and food needs to be upgraded for sure.

We had a wonderful stay at the resort in mid March. The highlight of our stay was the excellent service starting from the front office, the enthusiastic young naturalists, the restaurant staff & house keeping. Every request of ours was attended to and a special mention must be made of this. We had forgotten our medication and they managed to source it all the way from Nagpur. A big thank you for that as they were very vital.
Our suite was very spacious and well maintained. A good spread at the buffet. Since we found it a little spicy, the chef catered special meals for us. The breakfast served during the safari rides was a very good idea and welcome. Overall a great experience and we would love to repeat in the future.

Marble Rocks in Jabalpur is a such a gem of nature that you will feel inspired. Nestled along the Narmada River, this geological wonder is massive and has a beatiful landscaping. One of the most magical moments was witnessing the Dhuandhar Falls, where the Narmada River plunges dramatically through a narrow gorge. Go only weekday to avoid rush and must go in winters.
The boat ride people may try to scam you but you cant do much as they will not take you further unless you give them additional money. There are kids who will jump from heights for 50 rupees but its really scary and risky.

Stunning natural beauty, one of the unique soft rock formations popularly known as Marble rocks of Narmada. The place close to jabalpur city in a small town, earlier it was surrounded by forest around, but it looks more like a small town with narmada flowing through majestic rocks, one has to experience it closely is possible by boating only (sunrise to little before sunset) do check the timings beforehand. There are limited stay facilities private hotels, the best option is state tourism's Resort right on the edge with a view from the resort. Accomodation is standard not great the property is gone old need to revamp it, although rooms and tents are good with amenities. Inhouse resturant is available with good food options, one can get good stay options of the choice at jabalpur city which is 25 kms away. Highly recommended to explore this amazing natural beauty. Good for families and friends, For senior citizens now they have got lift service by mpt tourism at nominal cost, so now no need to walk through steep steps. Winters are the best time to explore.

Excellent natural beauty by white/gray rocks, stones, excellent ambient , and boating experience are v. good. boating is a must when visiting this place.
For these two natural beauties, we have the mighty Narmada River to thank for. The river, as it flows through the landscape, crosses this beautiful marble gorge. The marble here is soft, and the flow of the river has carved out about 8 km of this gorge. This stunning nature’s creation is a photographer’s delight and one of the most popular tourist attractions in Madhya Pradesh.

The Chausath Yogini Temple is an ancient Hindu architectural wonder and historical monument situated on a hill. Its circular walls, 64 chambers, and a courtyard are beautifully constructed. The temple houses Chausath idols of Mata Rani, giving it its name. The main idol is breathtaking and the complex has been well-maintained over the years. The temple also offers a peaceful vibe with beautiful views of the Narmada river from atop, albeit after climbing several steps to reach it.
If you are going to Bedaghat you should definitely visit the Chausath Yogini Temple. The architecture of this temple is magnificent and it is supposed to be 1200 years old. Since this is situated at the top of a hill, you have to climb more than 100 steps which can be tiring. Once you reach the top you will be treated to stunning views of the Narmada river.
It is very well maintained and clean. We were fascinated by the circular design of the outer temple. This housed small cells and different idols were present in each cell. The carvings on each of these idols are so beautiful that it will take you many hours if you want to view and admire each one of them. But the sad part was that most of these idols were broken.
Do carry a couple of water bottles as you will get tired climbing the steps and will need to drink a lot of water.

Beautiful architecture with peaceful vibes. You can see the Narmada river from the top and the view is amazing. There are however, quite a few steps that needs to be climbed to reach the temple so that's the only bit difficult part. But it will be worth it so do put your climbing shoes on.

The Chausath Yogini Temple, Bhedaghat, also called the Golaki Math ("circular lodge"),[1] is one of India's yogini temples, but exceptionally it has shrines for 81 rather than the usual 64 yoginis. All the same, scholars include it among the 64-yogini temples (चौंसठ chausath meaning 64 in Hindi). The group of 81 (ekashi in Hindi) is a mark of royalty, implying that the temple was founded by a king. The large temple is on a hilltop above the river Narmada in Bhedaghat (Hindi भेड़ाघाट, also transliterated Bheraghat), some 5 km from Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh.

A historic place! Ancient architecture! 1st-2nd century construction! A unique statue of Shiva n Parvati with a standing Nandi.
Must talk to the priest and get more information.
The legend behind the temple, according to local priests, is that the Goddess Durga took the form of 64 demi-goddesses to defeat a demon. After the fight the 64 goddesses, equated with yoginis, asked Durga to commemorate them in the form of a temple structure.
Temple closes with the sunset i.e. around 5.30pm to 6.30pm.
After climbing those stairs, you get to city whole city view!

Located at an hour's drive away from Jabalpur, history has to offer one of its oldest religious sites - the Chausath Yogini Temple near Bhedaghat region. Chausath translates to sixty-four in English and the name has a direct relation to the structure of the temple. There are exactly 64 carved figures of Yoginis, each one in her own designated shrine, skirting the inner wall of the circular premises of the temple. As a bonus, the panoramic view of the mighty Narmada from the high open courtyard presents to you a lovely scene to be captured in the camera as well as to be remembered in the mind.
Built by the Kalachuri dynasty way back in the 10th century, Chausath Yogini has seen powers rise and fall uncountable times. However, some of them were not so good for the temple, as its construction suffered severe blows from Muslim rulers in later centuries who were determined to wipe away any reminiscence of Hinduism. However, this temple has stood the test of time and religious hatred and is now a favourite historical retreat for travellers.
Once you climb the 150-something stairs up to the central area, you get a prolific idea of 10th-century central Indian architecture as well the significance of Yoga tantric beliefs. This is also the only place where you will find the grandest couple of Hindu mythology, Lord Shiva and his consort Goddess Parvati riding the symbolic Nandi Bull. The idols of Shiv-Parvati stand in the Gauri-Shankar temple in the centre which is believed to be built at a later time than the original temple with Yoginis.

Note: High stone steps about 70 or so, elders be warned.
Parking : on the road , go a little ahead the road opens a bit.
Facilities: drinking water nothing much else.

Mainly dedicated to Goddess Durga, the Chausath Yogini Temple was built in the 10th century by the Kalachuris kings, and it still stands tall atop a hill, enticing tourists and devotees from different parts of India. As the name ('Chausath' meaning sixty-four) suggests, the temple has 64 shrines built along the walls of its circular premises, each containing a carved figure of a Yogini, and a central shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati.
Dhuandhar Waterfall is a scenic cascade located in India. The waterfall generates a tremendous amount of mist and fog due to its height and force, hence the name "Dhuandhar," meaning smoky cascade. The Dhuandhar Water Fall is Located in Bhedaghat 4-5 Km from Bhopal Road and Around 25 Km From Jabalpur Railway Station towards Bhopal Road.
The word 'Dhuandhar' is derived from two Hindi words - Dhuan (smoke) and Dhar (flow), meaning a waterfall where one can feel a smoky atmosphere (this smoke is formed by water vapour or the smoke cascade).
The Dhuandhar Falls is located on the Narmada River in Bhedaghat and are 30 meters high. The Narmada River, making its way through the world-famous Marble Rocks, narrows down and then plunges into a waterfall known as Dhuandhar. The plunge, which creates a bouncing mass of mist, is so powerful that its roar can be heard from a far distance.

The rocks' stability has been attributed to geological processes that have occurred over thousands of years, resulting in an awe-inspiring sight that showcases nature's power and beauty.
Balancing Rocks is a sheer geological marvel in the true sense. Located on the way to the Madan Mahal Fort in Jabalpur. Balancing Rocks is a rocky formation of uneven rocks, which is said to be created by volcanic eruptions thousands of years ago. The archaeologists and geologists fail to sight the exact reason stating how these rocks could stay unmoved for so many years.
The Balancing Rock is the example of the eroded volcanic rock formations. The rock balances on the huge base rock by just touching it slightly. Yet it is amazingly that the Balancing Rock survived even in earthquake of magnitude 6.5 and as per the local belief; nothing in this world can disturb the balance of these rocks.
A balancing rock, also called balanced rock or precarious boulder.
Fee & Timing :- The entry fee for balancing rocks is free for all. This place can be visited between 6 AM and 8 PM.Balancing rocks offer amazing sights all over the year.

Balancing Rock at Jabalpur is a wonder in itself. It is unbelievable that a huge rock can stand still on another rock on a small point of contact balancing itself since a long time ago. The rocks are basically eroded volcanic rock and have survived earthquakes of magnitude up to 6.5 on Richter scale. Local people believed that nothing can disrupt the balance of these rocks.

The rock structures are immensely impressive at this sight. Judging by the view, the format seems very ancient though the exact year of formation of this site is still unknown.
The view of a gigantic rock tenaciously balancing on a miniature point of contact is immensely mesmerizing. There are more rocks beside it giving a virtual mini canyon experience. Do visit for a serene experience in miniature valley surrounded by tall rocks.

2 huge round rocks balancing well and a real attraction to watch , you may maximum spend about less than an hour , the place is neatly maintained and easy to reach even on a short visit to Jabalpur, other than a camera you need no more equipment during the visit, even an earth quake could not dislodge these rocks which are finely and romantically balanced. Must see this, a surprise created by nature.
If you are in Jabalpur and apart from Marble Rock u must visit this. A surprise created by nature. U will find this place on the way to Bedaghat.

A natural wonder, Balancing Rocks are a set of seemingly delicately balanced eroded volcanic rock formations. Although they look precariously positioned, they have withstood earthquakes of magnitude up to 6.5 on the Richter scale. No wonder that the locals believe these rocks to be as invincible as they are incredible.

Close to Madan Mahal Railway Station, Balancing Rock is located to the left when visiting Madan Mahal Fort. There isn’t much to see besides a large rock balanced on another bigger rock. Initially overlooked on our way to Madan Mahal Fort, there isn’t much of interest here.

Amazing India. Although there is not much to see here. Just a balancing stone. There is a fort nearby you can visit that. We were not able to go there due to shortage of time. But definitely that’s much better. Over here it won’t take more than 15 minutes. So better opt for the fort. That is nice.

Many balancing rocks are found in the way from Jhansi to Shivpuri MP.
This one in Jabalpur is very popular. How it balances on its centre of gravity is written in Hindi on a board.
The Madan Mahal, next to it is worth seeing.
hiranmoy de — Google review
Visited this only because it was listed as one of the top attractions in Jabalpur . Though its an interesting geological feature , it is nothing unique for there are similar balancing rocks elsewhere too , notably “Krishna’s Butter Ball” in Mamallapuram (TN)
There is a signboard giving info about the rock, but the compound is full of litter and wild bushes .
The Fort nearby is currently closed .so it may not be worth taking trouble to visit this place only for this rock .

Nature & Parks
Ruins of an ancient fort with inscriptions dating to 300 AD, located in a scenic mountain setting.
Bandhavgarh National Park is in the central Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. This biodiverse park is known for its large population of royal Bengal tigers, especially in the central Tala zone. Other animals include white tigers, leopards and deer. The mix of tropical forest, Sal trees and grassland is home to scores of bird species, including eagles. To the south are the remains of the ancient Bandhavgarh Fort.

This must be saved, preserved under the world heritage site. There are some Buddhist caves and statues around 2000 years old but are not in good condition. A team of experts surveyed more than 40 caves several days amidst all dangers in the dense forest. These are Buddhist caves. Most of these are related to Buddhism. Locals believe there can be more than 100 caves in Bandhavgarh Park area. There's a lot of Kushan-e-era Brahmi records. Survey of five big temples has been done so far. The heights are parakottedar forts. Caves, temples, records and large statues scattered among the forest in the plain area. The statues are up to 20 feet tall.
Overall this is a very good archeological and historical site. It should be preserved well.

This is located under the jurisdiction of Umaria district.Bandhavgarh national park is India’s most dense national park as far as the density of tiger population is considered.
There are three entry points and the cost of the vehicle depends on the number of tourists. The three main zones of the national park are Tala,Magdhi and Khitauli.Tala is the richest zone in terms of biodiversity, mainly tigers.
Altogether, these three ranges comprise the 'CORE’ of the Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve constituting a total area of 716 square kilometres.
The park has a large breeding population of tigers, leopards and various species of deer. Maharaja Martand Singh of Rewa captured the first white tiger in this region in 1951.

We visited the temple in January's last week.
Temple is at a good Height and offers a good view of nearby town.
We went to temple by cable car which costs ₹116 per person for two way.
You can also visit the place by treking and it will take around 1-2hr.
Temple Staff was very rude and did not allow anyone in the queue to take Darshan and worship mata properly they keep pushing people out. Very dissatisfied with behaviour of the Staff and pujari.
We are at temple and every once should respect everyone and get the Darshn in peaceful mind.

I had the opportunity to visit the historic Fort of Rewa a few years ago, and it was a truly captivating experience. Located in the heart of Rewa city in Madhya Pradesh, India, the fort stands as a testament to the region's rich cultural and architectural heritage.
As I entered the fort, I was immediately struck by its imposing grandeur. The massive walls, made of intricately carved stones, exuded a sense of strength and resilience. Walking through the corridors, I could almost feel the echoes of history whispering around me.
It's Very Interesting To Know About District Museum .
I Got Very Excited When I Listen About It And Wanna Go Here As Soon As Possible To Me
But When I Go There
I Bought Tickets On The Roof Of The Museum And Then I Go EveryWhere In The Museum.
It's Very Interesting .
I Look Many Of The Sculptures And
They Was Very Old Of My Thinking
They Were Made Between 10th Century To 15th Century.
I Feel Very Proud To Realise That Those Things Of Museum Belong To Our City In Our State.
I Visited Everywhere In The Museum As I Knew And I Wanna Go Whole Tunnel But There Was No Option And They Didn't Alloted Permission To Public To Go Ahead Of The Lock Gate Of Tunnel.
And The Stairs Of The Tunnel Was Also Very Small So Please Go There WithYour Full Attention.
Love This Place

Venkat Bhavan is one of the matchless places to visit in Rewa, which is famous for its unique Saracenic style of architecture. This masterpiece was built by Maharaja Venkatraman Singh, and the construction was completed in the year 1907. The purpose of building this Bhavan was to provide employment to people during the famine period of 1894.
On your visit to this temple, look out for the stunning carvings of Lord Shiva and Parvati on the walls and the secret tunnel that once used to serve the Kings during wars. The temple has a total of twelve doors in the outer wall and the property is maintained and looked after by Madhya Pradesh State Archeology Department. It now serves as a heritage hotel like few of the other forts .The entry to this palace /bhavan is free of cost .

Very beautiful place to visit. But it opens for about two months only in rainy seasons. Before going there be ensure that the northern MP has got sufficient rainfall. After that it becomes in its glorious condition.

Must visit during monsoon season. Shouldn't go any other time as waterfall will be missing. View is gorgeous and tranquil. No shops around. So get food if planning with family. Also, don't throw garbage and spoil the natural habitat. . One can visit Purva as well since it's just 9 kms from chachai. Catch either sunrise or sunset. Have fun and enjoy the gorge.

There was no water when i visited. But place is good but due to Dam, water flow is not coming. Only when heavy rains then you can enjoy waterfall.

Situated some distance from Keoti Waterfall, this waterfall is even more beautiful than Keoti. If you have come to visit Keoti Waterfall, then definitely come here. The crowd here is relatively less. There is more water in this spring during the rains. This waterfall, built on the Bihar river, joins the Tons river through a large gorge. The place to see this is very nice. Standing on a rock, you can see the waterfall and the gorge next to it well. Be sure to come here.

Only the fall is there but the "water" part is missing. I mean it kinda defeats the purpose of a waterfall😂. And yes it's rainy season. I think you'll only see water when there has been heavy rainfall in the same day when you are visiting so don't go unless you want to feel cheated.
So beware that the long travel journey to reach here won't be worth it when you see the rocks & sweat. Also don't forget to reply to MPtourism on Instagram to let them not promote falsely.

Mother Ashtabhuja is the younger sister of Lord Krishna.
The temple of Maa Ashtabhuja is situated at a distance of two kilometers from Maa Vindhyavasini temple. A large number of devotees come to the court of Maa Ashtabhuja. It is believed that the Cruel Kansa, fearing his death, had imprisoned his sister Devaki after she became the voice of the sky. Where he used to kill every child born in the womb. Meanwhile, mother Ashtabhuja is born from Devaki's womb. As soon as Kansa is about to kill her, she gets released from his hands and sits on Vindhyachal hill. Lakhs of people gather to have the darshan of Maa Ashtabhuja in the form of Maa Swaraswati.

Powerful Deity, Chaotic Experience: A Review of Vindhyachal Devi Temple
Vindhyachal Devi Temple is a sacred gem nestled in the heart of the Vindhyachal Range. As a devout pilgrim, I found solace and spiritual rejuvenation within its hallowed precincts.
The temple is undergoing upgradation and a new corridor is being constructed. The overall architecture is awe-inspiring, reflecting the rich tapestry of Hindu mythology and culture. From intricate carvings to vibrant colors, every detail exudes divine grace.
The ambiance is serene, offering a sanctuary for introspection and prayer. As I walked through the complex, the fragrance of incense and the melodious chants transported me to a realm of transcendence.
Vindhyachal Devi Temple is not just a place of worship; it's a pilgrimage of the soul. A sacred destination that beckons seekers of truth and spiritual enlightenment.
Visiting Vindhyachal Devi Temple was a spiritually enriching experience for me. The aura surrounding the deity is undeniably powerful, and the vibes resonate with tranquility and devotion. However, the overall visit was marred by inadequate queue management and unprofessional behavior exhibited by the pandas (temple priests).
While the sanctity of the temple is unquestionable, the lack of proper queue management created chaos and prolonged waiting times. This detracted from the overall pilgrimage experience and could be improved with better organization and crowd control measures.
Additionally, the conduct of the pandas and the ways they fleece devotees left much to be desired. Their demeanor towards devotees was lacking in patience and respect, which is disappointing considering the sacred nature of their role. A more courteous and accommodating approach would greatly enhance the pilgrims' experience.
While the spiritual significance of Vindhyachal Devi Temple is undeniable, there is room for improvement in terms of infrastructure and the conduct of temple staff. Enhancements in queue management and a focus on fostering a more welcoming atmosphere would undoubtedly elevate the overall pilgrimage experience for devotees.

This place of worship has been turned into a business hub run by Pandaas which takes money for unofficial vip Darshan entry (no receipt) and they stop the normal queue to let the person who paid Money to pass and get to see the goddess early. They force people to pay money. Even inside the temple the pujari ask for money open handed. All the employees staff pandits everyone is greedy for money here.
If you don't pay them and take the normal queue be ready to wait longer than usual for Darshan. Even the police are helpless they say its the system now..run by pandits committee (and children are also earning money same way)

It is aptly said that a walk through Chunar fort is a walk through Indian history. Built by the legendary emperor Vikramaditya, the fort has been used by different dynasties of rulers from the Mughals, Sher Shah Suri to Governor-General Warren Hastings over the centuries. The place though is located in a hilly area and has historical importance did not reach my expectations, the reason being that most of the fort is prohibited for visitors. We spent an entire day as we were excited about visiting the fort when we travelled to Varanasi but it was definitely not worth it.

The Chunar Fort is located in Mirzapur district of Uttar Pradesh, in India. Along with Chunar town, near Mirzapur city, situated below the fort, the two are historic places with common history and legends. It is located 34 kilometres North west of Mirzapur.

Should visit after it ends as a museum because only a small section of the fort is accessible to public other major part is acquired by police training centre
Arpit Anant Singh Sikarwar — Google review
The fort is located on the brink of river Ganges. Compared to other forts, this is quite small as entry for the general public is quite restricted. Inspite of that, the parts that are open has a great view, you will definitely love watching them. Panoramic view of Ganga is quite magnificent.
There is no ticket needed to visit this place. Moreover accessible with cars and bikes too as well as parking is also available at the top. The fort is safe as police station is situated on the fort only. This place is quite famous among lovebirds. Go and visit for the serene view and peace from the noise around the city.
Not much to see since most of the fort is locked and prohibited to enter for tourists. It is believed that most of the parts of fort approx 80-90% are underground, a lots of tunnels in and around the fort are evident of the fact.
This fort was built by Raja Vikramaditya from Ujjain in 56BC and houses the Samadhi of his elder brother. It has been since captured by multiple rajas from Prithviraj Chauhan, to Mughal emperors like Akbar. The fort has different structures like a jail, VIP jail, Kal kothri, swayamvar sabha and Shershah Suri's Darbar.
