National Aviation Museum of the Royal Thai Air Force
The National Aviation Museum of the Royal Thai Air Force in Bangkok is a must-visit for aviation enthusiasts. The museum houses an impressive collection of military aircraft, including fighter jets, transport planes, and helicopters from various eras. Divided into five buildings, it showcases a wide range of planes and helicopters used for military purposes. Visitors can explore the history of the Royal Thai Air Force through exhibits on its role in World War II, Vietnam War, royal carriers, leisure aircraft, and more.
Surprisingly large and free museum which includes good English signage. This would be a good location to bring kids who find aircraft interesting. It's also possible to enter some aircraft and there is an interesting nonwestern view on history which we don't always hear
Mathew Fedley — Google review
I highly recommend anyone who loves aircraft or wants to teach their children about the fascination of aircraft to go there. I think this museum should be visited at least once by aviation fans not only in Thailand but also abroad.
It is very easy to get to as it is just a short walk from the Royal Air Force Museum BTS station.
Admission is free. You can touch almost all airplanes and helicopters directly and take pictures freely. You can also enter some of the airplanes and even ride in the cockpit of some of them.
Personally, I was impressed to see the Harrier so close up. There are not many people around, so it is a lot of fun to be able to take your time and look at the aircraft from corner to corner.
It is a place that is not well known to the public, but I think it deserves more attention.

I had always wanted to visit and now the sky train has extended and it is really convenient to get there. There was no fee but I appreciate the effort and made a donation. I went on a Saturday afternoon and it wasn't crowded. There are plenty of air craft displays indoors and out and you can get up close. Indoors highlighted the history of aviation as it related to Thailand. Great place to take the kids for a couple of hours.

Nice place to visit, has many plane models. I called a couple of days ahead of time to ask about the simulators, got an answer to just arrive, and that yes they are open on Sunday. When we arrived there was a 2 day power outage. Ended up arriving but not able to visit inside the buildings. I was impressed at the souvenir shop, quite a lot of keepsakes in there. Has clean toilets.

Had a great second visit to this museum. If you have a few hours to spare when visiting Bangkok it's well worth a visit. There is a BTS Skytrain station right at the door that goes from Siam Paragon. The museum is free but donations are welcome.
Robert Morrow — Google review
An aviation museum publicly open to visit. Kids enjoy riding on a pilot seat and climbing up various kinds of helicopters and airplanes.
There is a good truck selling drinks and also Tao Bin (drink vending machine) in the main building.
Toilets are outside and clean.
A bit further distance from BTS aviation museum station they have quite some parking lot so if not a festive holiday better drive
Amnuaymek Chom — Google review
No entrance fee for this museum, lots of planes to take photos of. There's a small canteen that sell food and drinks.
Will take about 2 hour to walk the entire museum. The museum has an indoor and outdoor area to take photographs, to avoid the heat, it is recommended to come visit the outdoor area in the morning and move to the indoor area after that to avoid the sun.
There isn't anyone here when we visited.
Soh Xuan Yi — Google review
The museum is not well known to tourists but it is worthy of a 2 hours visit. Huge number of airplanes including helicopters outdoor and indoor. Most information are in Thai and English. The museum had 4 simulators with a mock cockpit. Getting there took about 1 hour on the Sukhumvit BTS green line. In terms of the number of aircraft on display, information and details, this museum is far better than the tiny Singapore Air Force museum. What is missing are videos.

Amazing museum. I love aviation and air force aviation and this museum has amazing planes on display. The outside area is huge. A must visit place for everyone who like air force aviation!!

Aviation fanatic? Visit the
ROYAL THAI AIR FORCE MUSEUM.
It has a collection of almost hundred of airplanes and helicopters. It also displays the kingdom's aviation history. From the very simple airplane that is made by woods up to the present. You can also see some rare find models. Surprisingly, it treasures the only existing Curtiss Hawk III and the Corsair / Vought V - 93S in the world. The description of each model are in Thai and English. The place is nice. The staff are cool. Now, it's more accesible thru BTS skytrain system. Just get off at Royal Thai Airforce Museum Station (N22). And . . . the visit is absolutely - FREE! #RTAF Museum is AWESOME!!!

One of the best Aviation Museums I’ve ever been to. So many planes to see, even helicopters! FREE! It’s a bit far out but worth the trip. Took the BTS there 35mins from Phrom Phong BTS, and walk 5-7mins. The canteen there serves delicious Thai Food, Drinks & Desserts. There’s also a souvenir shop there where we bought too many stuff. Definitely a must-visit if you’re into planes.

Great place to hangout if you are an aviation enthusiast especially in military aircraft. Many historical aircraft to look around, they got VR Version of DCS (military flight simulator) for visitors to try it out. It's a great museum overall. They also have a airforce patch for sale in the souvenir shop too. It's free entry and quite easy to come. Definitely recommended

Absolutely Stunning Display of Aircraft and Helicopters of all kinds throughout the Aviation History of Thailand and South East Asia
Virtual Reality Room also there, open to Public, which provides a unique experience
ENTRY IS FREE.....ABSOLUTELY RECOMMENDES...WORTH SPENDING 1.5 HOURS.....Good place to bring young kids

It's an amazing aircraft museum, and it's free !!! About 100 aircraft collection, ranging from civilian plane, helicopter, and fighting jet. A must visit place for aviation lover. There're outdoor and indoor area (with air conditioner). You'll easily spend 2 hours here if you like airplanes.

One of the best museums I’ve been to in a while. Lots of interesting exhibits and some are rare. Free entry too. It’s worth visiting. Plan for 2-4 hours if you want to explore fully. Also right by the BTS station. So easy and cheap to get too. The station is named after the museum so also easy to find
It is well designed to give visitors a comprehensive timeline of the Royal Thai Air Force from the modest beginning in 1910s to a modern division of the army nowadays. It hosts a grand collection of aircrafts, many of which are scaled down for display purpose.
The museum also services the aviation library containing history books, archives, photos, and historical documents of aviation for research and study, preserving to be a legend of The Royal Thai Air Force.
Bharath S — Google review
Although I'm not particularly interested in aircraft and their history i found this an interesting visit. Lots of different aircraft to see both inside the hanger and outside. Entry free. Easy to get there on BTS Line. Plenty parking. There are both English and Thai descriptions of the aircraft. Staff friendly. Small restaurant on site.
Grahame Latto — Google review
This place is full of plane and it history. No entry fees, super nice orientation. The indoor section was nicely arranged according to history of aviation of Thailand. Displays in both English and Thai. They even have a flight simulator for you to experience what it likes to be a pilot. The souvenir shop is selling cool stuff. Highly recommend for any age.
Yosita K — Google review
A place to learn Thai aviation history. A lot of airplanes. There is a place for kids to try flying through the flight simulator. You can take BTS skytrain to come to this place.
Ann Vong — Google review
Great place, and it's free entrance with air-conditioning. Few outdoor aircrafts with amazing views. Well managed
Ys Lim — Google review
Museum features alot of old and also rare authentic (majority of the displayed aircraft) fighters and royal thai airforce aircraft. It’s free to enter but know that during public holidays or monday the museum will be closed. It’s a wonderful place to come visit as also there is alot of public transportation nearby such as the skytrain and also bus services a few feet outside of the museum entrance.
As of currently there is renovation to some aircrafts and building and also there will most likely new aircrafts being added to the collection soon in the future until the museum either ran out of spaces or just moved/expand the musem to be even bigger!
Chattapol Chawantanpipat — Google review
Quite a nice museum. There is a lot to look at and it is possible to touch many things or climb inside. Entrance is free and almost no tourists. Very good cafe with refreshments. I highly recommend a visit even with children.

Safari World Bangkok is a popular zoo and entertainment park in the heart of Bangkok, drawing both tourists and locals alike. This expansive 480-acre park, established in 1988, offers an immersive experience into Thailand's diverse wildlife. Divided into two sections - Marine Park and Safari Park - visitors can explore a wide range of animal habitats. The park features safari rides, marine attractions, live feedings, and thrilling stunt shows that cater to both education and entertainment.
Wonderful place to visit for day out. Very refreshing and green. Great maintainance and wonderful animal shows. Great view. Wonderful safari.
Soham Das — Google review
Nice zoo! All animals are energetic and beautiful here. You can see how they care about the animals by creating the most wild-like environment!
Also, the feeding activities are very interesting (but pricey😓). You can feed baby tiger, giraffe, kangaroo, camel, and etc.
Randy Chiu — Google review
It's a great place to spend the day, loaded with a variety of shows and animals. Macaws, a Walrus, Meerkats, Kangaroos, an Owl, Turtle, Pelicans, Flamingos, and more were there. I attended the Orangutan show, Spy Wars, Elephant show, Dolphin show, and Sea Lion show. While the Dolphin show is considered the highlight, I personally preferred the Sea Lion show. Additionally, the Elephant painting was quite interesting to see. I skipped the cowboy show as it got too hot. I would recommend bringing a cap/hat, umbrella, and sunglasses if you're visiting in the hot season. A major drawback here is that they don't allow food or drinks inside; you have to purchase them inside, which is slightly more expensive.
Later, I visited the open zoo adjacent to the park. You can see it when you go to the Giraffe feeding area - carnivores animals are kept in another section bounded with electric fencing. It was nice to see the animals roaming around, but as it was very hot, even the tigers were inside their puddles.

Exploring Safari World in Bangkok, Thailand was a fantastic adventure, and the shows were undeniably a standout feature of my visit. The entertainment options were diverse and thoroughly enjoyable, catering to a wide range of preferences.
The variety of shows, from animal performances to thrilling stunts, kept me engaged and entertained throughout the day. The level of skill and coordination displayed by the performers, coupled with the unique blend of wildlife interaction, added an extra layer of excitement to the overall experience.
One of the highlights was witnessing the incredible intelligence and talents of the animals showcased in the performances. The shows not only provided entertainment but also offered valuable insights into the natural behaviors and abilities of various species.
Moreover, the interactive elements allowed visitors to feel more connected to the wildlife. Whether it was getting up close to the animals or participating in activities, the shows at Safari World created a sense of immersion and engagement.
The seamless combination of entertainment and education made the experience not only enjoyable but also enriching. I would highly recommend Safari World to anyone seeking a day filled with fun, excitement, and a deeper appreciation for the incredible world of wildlife.
One can feed various animals or take pictures with them all at the prices mentioned there. The shows are timed so make sure to be mindful about the time and reach the show to watch fully.

A very good place to visit. The shows they're playing is good we had no time to see the sea lion show due to our time schedule so please try to enter the place in the morning itself, we saw dolphin show, elephant show and one spy war show these all were really good.We can see every animal living in the forest and they are all together living in one compound. Only lions, tigers and bears were separated from them for a longer life for other animals 😅. It's a wonderful experience. We can ride with our own vehicle and that's a good thing. Only thing to remember is to close the windows and not drive fast inside this perimeter .

This is an amazing place and a must visit place when in Thailand. There are various shows such as Dolphin, Orangutan, Elephant, Spy /Stunt, Open zoo / Safari. The shows are amazing and well planned. This is a full day activity, so ensure that you take caps, water and all items for the entire day.
There are Indian Restaurants and various food options available inside. We went to a restaurant called Savanna which offered a Indian buffet.
Yashank Uthappa — Google review
Fun and elegant experience with nature and it’s wild. It’s well maintained and each n every animal is taken care of. No usage of drugs. No torturing of animals. Shows that happen in Safari World shall be conduct in ENGLISH rather than their own national language, so that everyone including the foreigners can understand whats going on. Must visit place in Thailand.

All those cute little animals, is really worth the trip.
Recommend to hire a private driver and car for the whole trip start with hotel pick up/drop off.
No outside drinks allowed so kindly leave it in your car. Wear something comfortable as there’s lots of walking and kinda hot.

Went here today this is what I thought of the place
1—-managing a park I will give them -10 , you turn up the ticket counters are a mess someone people are following politeness and lining up and other just walk in and go up to the counters so there is no one from management ensuring the smooth flow of people doing the right thing
2— extremely very busy park we went on a Friday and you have to really push people if you wanna watch a show very very busy
3—-they say no bottles and food allowed because they want you to buy their overpriced water and drinks and food
4— all the animal parts you go to every single one of them they wanna make money from you by selling you a bucket of food for 150-200 local currency
5— not the cleanest park I guess it’s a huge park and may be less staff don’t know
6—- the animals did not look healthy to us it was a hot day and they were all grasping for air may be not enough shady areas for animals
7— they had few shows we watched 4 of them you have to make sure you really rush to get good seats or else forget it don’t bother even watching them
8— every single thing inside the park you wanna do you pay extra
9— parking is free
10- safari park now that was. The best part of the trip
11- will highly recommend do not go in the zoo bus paying 100 local currency per person you won’t have a good time at all
12-we rented a car and went inside the safari in our rented car best experience ever
13- certainly I would say they could improve the park
14- tiger lions areas was the best worth it
15- drive your own car you can park in the tigers encounter and just stay in your car and watch them a very good experience indeed
16- there is a seven eleven right next to the exit so you can go get your normal priced drinks and food
17- you would need the whole day easy .
18- we came across some polite staff and some very very very horrible staff that was not a nice thing to do see specially towards kids so that was not a nice thing
I would certainly recommend the place worth. A visit

Very good place spend a whole day. Parking is available. Try to reach there at 9am so that you can watch all show timely and completely. Best is the dolphin show. If you like this review, please like and comment. Thank you.

It was a surreal experience. The premises and animal enclosures were super neat and clean. All the animals are treated well and looked healthy.
The highlight of the visit were the animal shows at different arenas. All the staff are well behaved and helpful. I had lunch there as well and it was satisfactory with all the crowd management.
I literally have no suggestions they are functioning with such magnificence. Good Luck to all the crew and workers.

You have to visit this place if you are visiting Bangkok with family and kids. Huge zoo area, neat and well maintained animal cages. The ride at the entrance will give you experience of roaming in the jungle and witness wildlife in their natural habitat. The experience is amazing. They have various shows (schedule and timing of the show will be provided to you). This is one of the best zoos I've visited. Highly recommended.

If you love wild life, you have to visit this place. Especially if you have kids. So many shows to watch. Elephant show, Dolphin show, Orangutan Show and most favourite Sea lion show. You need a lot of time to explore the entire park. Wonderful experience for a family outing. Most shows are in Thai language. Thats the only drawback.
Amit Beloshe — Google review
It was a busy day at Safari World. They offered a bus for an extra 100 because walking inside the zoo isn't allowed. Maybe renting a car is better for seeing the animals. The animal shows are a bit crowded, making finding a seat difficult. If you want to feed the animals, you need to pay extra for their food. Also, they don't allow outside drinks or food.Despite the challenges, it was definitely worth it.
Florami Carael — Google review
Safari World was a blast! Loved the stunt and animal shows, especially seeing the animals chilling in their natural spots. The elephant and dolphin shows were my absolute favorites. It’s a cool place to catch some fun shows and get up close with wildlife. Definitely a must-do if you’re into that sort of thing.

Great place for food, but I wouldn't call it Fashion Island. It really doesn't have a lot of clothing stores. Not much fashion going on. I will say if your looking for any kind of beauty treatments, there are plenty of clinics to choose from and at very reasonable prices.

Fashion Island is next to the main road. You can get on the expressway and enter the mall right away. It is a mall with multi-level parking. And there is parking for families and the elderly or disabled. The mall as a whole is decorated in keeping with the times and has developed decorations all the time, making this mall very worth visiting. Talking about the various zones, the mall will have 4 floors: G 1, 2, 3. Floor G will be a food center and Top market, a floor that is convenient for finding things to bring home. Floor 1 and 2 will be floors that sell clothes and brands. The famous 2 floors are for shopping, while the 3rd floor has IT equipment and a movie theater, children's play equipment, a few restaurants and a bookstore to visit. Overall this mall is clean. The housekeeper keeps cleaning. Everything is complete in terms of opening and closing times. As far as I can remember, it might open at 10 a.m. and close at 9 p.m. Thank you for reading the review.

Siam Amazing Park, also known as Siam Park City, is a massive amusement and water park located in the Khan Na Yao District of Bangkok, Thailand. It holds the title of being Asia's largest water theme park and offers an array of attractions including wave pools, exhilarating slides like the 7-story-high Speed Slider and the twisting Super Spiral, and even a simulated wave rider at Flowhouse.
We went over the weekend to this Thai version of Disneyland, known by Bangkokian as "Suan Siam", now called "Siam Amazing Park" We love their water park here, I mean really nice with the world's biggest wave pool. Our last time here was one and half year ago. There were many amusement park rides my kids went on and they loved it. And if you are worried about the crowded pool or long line with many people, this is PERFECT TIME TO GO, it is not so many people. CLOSE TO BANGKOK, easy to go and worth money, let's have fun. Last thing, I am amazed by the food at the restaurant and the kiosks around the park. Their tastes are so GOOD and there is one new building with many workshops you can spend time with your kids there or waiting for them at their coffee shop. :) Enjoy.

Probably it was a nice park years ago but now lots of areas and facilities are destroyed and even abandoned. Overall impression that it is not maintained and renovated. Quite some rides are closed (see photo with the map) - probably broken as well. Huge area but not very crowded (we've been on Sunday) - seems like not super popular. We've bought tickets online for 600b at one of the sellers suggested by Google (not park's official site). The same ticket is sold for 1200b at the counter and their site.
On a positive side - the ticket includes a pretty good buffer lunch. Nice area around the wave pool and the "log flume" attraction. Nice illumination at evening time. Nicely looking territory around.

There wasn’t any people at all! I loved it because I didn’t have to wait for a line at all during the whole day apart from some major rides like the big water slide in the water park section of the siam park. Some of the rides were under maintenance but apart from that, they were pretty fun and I highly recommend going on all of them because since it’s a small amusement park, it’s pretty easy to be done with all of them. The water park section also can be done within an hour or two as well and most of the restaurants such as the buffet one is located at the water park section. Remember to bring some swim clothes!

This park has seen way better days. Not crowded but it had lost its gloss. It’s like a park on a Sunday stroll. Price wise is good as it’s really meant for the locals. The water park inside is quite empty too. Some rides are closed. It needs a major revamp. The toilets in the water park are grimy and slimy.
Jay Sng — Google review
I enjoyed my day here. I bought the all access ticket online in advance for 1000 Baht. I went on a week day and it wasn't too busy. The roller coasters had no queues. The log ride one was the most popular so I had to wait about 20 minutes. The water park section was really nice. The wave pool is like a beach. The slides are pretty fun but can hurt you, definitely listen to instructions and try the small one first. I got some bruises on my back but still had fun. You can't bring your own food or drink in. There's a food area where you get a cash card and pay with that. The choices are OK, not great. Overall I recommend it. This place is entered via Bangkok World which is also quite interesting, but I will review that separately.
Safety tips:
- Listen to the water slide instructions. Hold your hands behind your head or you will hurt your neck.
- For the big slides, if you pick up speed you will get 'air', don't let your hands loose, just trust that you will land on the slide again.
- I recommend taking a deep breath and holding while you go down so you don't get water in your nose.
- For the guys, try to keep your legs together when you hit the water (kinda hits you in the balls haha)
- For the rollercoasters, keep your head pressed against the seat as much as you can to reduce/prevent any sudden neck movements or head hits.
For the park owners - I can feel the joints in the tunnel slides going down, which kinda hurts, see if you can smooth those out more.
Thanks

A Theme Park and Water Park in one place. Absolutely a delightful escape. Not just for kids but also for adults. Beautiful and fun place. Enjoyed the rides, especially the Boomerang - Rollercoaster. Actually tried it 6 times in a row. Should have loved the Vortex - Roller Coaster too, however it was painful on the ear and neck after the ride. Went on a weekday, so there are not much people. No need to wait in a queue. Waterpark is absolutely great. A lot of things to do. Slides, lazy river, fountains and the biggest wave pool in the world is here. Place was clean. They follow health protocol due to covid-19 pandemic. Staff were nice and cool. It's been my 12th times here. Will definitely go back again. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

My trip was on a rainy day, unfortunately I didn’t enjoy all rides since some of them are closed during the rain and they close them for safety reasons.
But generally, even though its a very old theme park, we enjoyed our day and I recommend this park for couples and families.
-Staff are nice and welcoming
-Prices are very low compared to theme parks around the world.
-Food quality is average and food prices are affordable.

This place has a big variety of rides to enjoy and spend the day. If you are seeking some thrilling rides I would recommend the boomerang and the vortex. If you are going for a calm ride I would highly recommend the observation tower. It has an Air conditioner and it is very relaxing. Overall I enjoyed my time here and highly suggest visiting this park.

The park had 5 attractions (4 of the main ones) closed on the day we went even though nothing was indicated when we booked. We booked the lunch option included which was very disappointing with very low quality food (pasta with ketchup as an example…) The rest was quite fun if you like adrenaline activities. Overall I would rate 3 stars
Mario Assaf — Google review
The place is good but when we went there the best items were out of service. So we couldn't enjoy it to the fullest. So the entry price is too high. And the water park needs more activities.
Harshana Dharmapriya Thumbovila — Google review
Yes, some of the rides are a bit dated, but for the price this is a truly fun place to spend the day. I highly recommend going to the water park during the hotter part of the day because the theme park area can be a bit deadly during the 11 am to 2 pm hours. The rollercoasters and flume rides are a ton of fun and really quite thrilling.
There's a variety of inexpensive food options inside and outside of the park.
Be sure to buy your tickets through one of the online outlets before coming. You will get a substantial discount.

Great play ground for my two kiddies grandson. Even adult can enjoy if they have the brave heart to ride the scary roller coaster and other frightful rides. A fantastic water park. Value for money.

Spent 3 hours in the park today. It was actually fun tho. As a person loves to go amusement park, this is one of the best park recently in Thailand right now (belong with Dreamworld). I rode 6 rides by myself and thad so much fun hehe. The Vortex one was INSANE AND INCREDIBLE, it was faster than it looked on some POV youtube videos. Log Flume was fun also. The food was so cheap and soso, not good but not bad. The carousel at the etrance zone was Amazing view to take some picture there too.Kinda sad that Grand Canyon Express and Africa Adventure closed down and I couldn't experience them. Overall, my MOST FUN DAY EVER. I can't wait to be back there again in the future!!!

Amazing, very fun and exciting. You can stay here all day. Time just slips by while you're having fun. Because of height restrictions, children over ten years old will have more fun. I don't know if anyone has made the same mistake as me. The lockers in the water park can only be switched on and off once after coin-operated, otherwise, they need to vote 20 baht again.

A nice place to spend a day. Some of the attractions were closed for renovation, but still lots of things to do. There is a big pool and a nice water playground for kids.
I recommend buying ticket in klook app in advance. It’s cheaper.
Kateryna Kovalevych — Google review
I have to divide my experience into 2 parts, the theme park I'm not a fan since most of the rides are partially malfunctioning or have some minor issues. The major rides were exciting, I recommend boomerang, vortex and plume log. The water park is a blast, my 9 and 11 year old children were having so much fun all day. The buffet in included ticket package that we bought was definitely worth it, delicious and many varieties of freshly made food and endless soda fountain was a blessing in the middle of scorching heat during lunch hour. Overall, all that matters is we as a family had fun and although it took us almost 1 hour taxi ride to get there from Phrom Phong and 2 hours bus ride home back, we would do it again next time we visit Bangkok. There was no crowd at all when we came on Friday.
Bayu Ubay — Google review
1. The rides are amazing.
2. There was no locker room.
3. Most of the rides where not working, one of the roller coaster was tested and yet failed very dangerous.
4. Could have been better

I'm honest guide, The theme park is located far from City so plan accordingly. The park is awesome in both dry and water games.. Some rides was closed.. You know what boomerang dry game and vortex rollor coaster was the one which make you so high and scary.. My tip is to get including lunch while purchasing the ticket which should be inclusion of food.
Hoysala Ragava — Google review
By far the WORST theme park I’ve ever been to. The wait for the log flume said 30 minutes, ended up being 2.5 hours, vortex was 2 hours and both not worth it.
Negatives;
- old and forgotten
- food stands everywhere
- super packed with people
- pools were so full we gave up and left
- slides had 1 hour + wait
- all rides were 1.5 - 2.5 hour waits
- 1000 bhat
- 4 rides were down (no use)
- dirty bathroom
- the rides that were open had half the seats closed
Positives;
- cheap if you don’t by the all day unlimited pass
Conclusion;
If you like queues by all means… felt more like a market than amusement park.
Harley Flahaut — Google review
It is quite old and small. The good stuff is that you can play in the water and theme park at the same place. Your can rent the lock inside the water park for a day (unlimited access).

Should buy ticket from Agents . It cheaper than Walk In. You need to buy 1 day ahead tickets. and buy include Buffet also. This is cheap and fun place to visit with Kids.

The Kwan-Riam Floating Market is a local favorite, especially for food. It's located beside Wat Bang Peng Tai Temple and has a rustic charm. The market only began operation in 2012, so it's still growing in popularity.
Nice and clean floating market. Somewhat different from a traditional Thai floating market.
This one is cleaner and looks a bit more modern..

It was a pleasant experience. The market was clean and not too crowded (we went during the month of January 2022) My 10-year old son really enjoyed feeding the fish and the canal water was clean!

Smashing place!
Quiet with very few tourists compared to other markets.
Very nice peaceful atmosphere.
Take a boat ride, if you're economy minded there is an electric powered vessel as opposed to diesel powered.
Nice foods and good service.

Didn't really plan to come here properly but because it's so visible on the maps I decided to give it a try. And what a market and hang out spot it's turned out to be. Loads of food and drinks stalls on both sides of the canal that goes through the middle of the market and most of them are decent and reasonably priced. I didn't spend that long here but I really enjoyed it and can easily recommend anyone who's looking to spend a chilled day out somewhere in Bangkok to check it out. I'll definitely find another opportunity and come back here again when it's not too bloody hot if you know what I mean 🙂

I went on a Saturday late morning. There were not many people around. There were some food stalls available.
There was this particular stall selling rainbow cheese that you could bite and pull at length for fun :)
You can feed goats there too for 20 THB.
To get here, go to Phra Khanong BTS station, then walk to the Phra Khanong market bus stop on the main road. Take Bus 519 and tell the driver "Talad Naam Kwan Rian".
After alighting , you will need to walk about 300m to the market from the main road. There will be a free motorbike ride from the market to the main road. So if you are lucky, you might just catch a free ride in from the main road.

This is one of the better floating markets. There are two beautiful temples to see, food, and many animals you can feed and pet including goats, fish, flamingos, chickens, and turtles. You can also take a canal boat for a scenic little trip 40baht. A fun time for everyone

We visited the market in the end of July 2023. The market was not much of a floating market, we were there between 1 and 3 o’clock. There were a lot of stands and multiple kind of animals but it was not as on the pictures or floating at all but probably because it is low season during this period of the year. During the summer I would not recommend visiting it when you stay in Bangkok since the travel is approximately 45 min/1 hour.

The mall is super cute! The food hall was randomly closed but at the same time the little street market at the back is really nice with some excellent food! There is also a decent convenience store to stock up on water and overall I like a lot how they combine the mall with the street food atmosphere! Close to BKK airport so this is great for those in transit too.

Nice place to kill some time and spend the last Baht. There's a small food "mall" outside which is quite simple but connected to this there are lots of Western restaurants and cafés, a small "mall" with clothing-, tech- and pharmacy-stores and billions of ATMs. There are also two(?) larger supermarkets with a great variety of worldwide food and in the evening the outside part turns into a lively streetfood market - and it's clean!!! Ate for 85 Baht all in all and it was the cheapest and best Thai food I had during my whole holidays.

Kind of reminds me of an open air shopping mall, we were staying in one of the many airport hotels waiting for a flight out the following morning and visited here in the evening after visiting the Robinson mall up the road. Food park was closed as were many shops, but there seemed to be many market stalls selling all kinds of food and stuff, found the selection to be much better than the food park in Robinsons. Well worth visiting if you are in the area.

Taling Chan Floating Market is a traditional market where vendors sell a variety of food and drinks from boats along the river. Unlike larger markets, Taling Chan offers an authentic Thai food experience without overwhelming crowds. Visitors can enjoy freshly cooked crabs and barbecued prawns while relaxing by the water and soaking up village life. Children can also feed river fish from the jetty. Located seven miles outside Bangkok, this market features wooden boats cooking fresh seafood on miniature barbecues along the riverbank.
Something to do on a weekend. Only open on weekends and holidays. Eat, shop a little, take a short boat ride around the local neighborhood w/a stop at a temple, and feed the fish. Take some pictures. Not too expensive, same or a little higher price as a local/tourist attraction floating market. 50 baht for Pad Thai, 25 baht Thai iced tea, 35 baht mango sticky rice, and plenty of main course, desserts, snacks, and fresh fruits to try.

“Floating” market popular to tourist in Bangkok. The market itself is quite small & food selection is more limited than at other floating markets around the city. Not my favorite.
Peter van Zanten — Google review
Talingchan Floating Market is a suburban floating market that has various goods to choose to buy. Reflecting the simple way of life of the local people. There are stalls on both sides of the road that sell snacks, clothes, home decorations to ornamental flowers, and vegetables and fruit from the local farms and orchards. Inside, there’s a raft on the water flanked by boats selling various sweet and savoury dishes. There’s also a boat service to take tourists to see the way of canal life in Thon Buri.
HAU PHUC NGUYEN — Google review
Don't set high expectations for this floating market. Even on weekends, you'll likely only find one or two boats selling goods, but the market does offer a good variety of food and sweets. Most of the market is built on a deck over the canal. They do offer a round trip long-tail boat tour, but it only goes to a nearby temple and back. Along the way, you'll see some old broken houses, construction sites, and swamps.
Overall, it's not your typical floating market; it's more similar to any other market you'd find in Bangkok.

It's actually a restaurant on the canal
Wouldn't go there to eat

No floating market as it was a Friday but we enjoyed the boat ride through the canals and a visit to a wat which was fantastic. Seeing dilapidated homes next to fancy new buildings was strange but good to see still people making a living from the canal life homes. The canals were quiet and very few tourists on boats also still had sellers going down the canals on there small boats selling food and wears to the locals in the homes. All in all a good trip and the cost was 1400 baht which included a 15min stop at the big gold buds.
Malcolm Woodhouse — Google review
A wonderful market on the side of the canal. If you're making a circuit of the river and canals this is a good stopping point for shopping, refreshments, and lunch at one of many laid back and fairly authentic restaurants. Don't forget to buy some food for the fish, who will swarm to the surface for a brief and frenzied show.

This market was very busy, even we went there towards the end of the final hours. The foods were priced low and we had a field day trying out different foods as time allowed. We only had 30mins to shop. We ended up purchasing a pork dish that contained pork neck meat and various parts of the animal. We also bought some coconut ice cream, rice crackers, papaya salad, fried banana, steamed pork meat balls, sticky rice, dried shrimp with cashews and a couple of fruit smoothies. Even with the short period of time, we were able to quickly buy enough food to taste. We would surely make more time for our future visit.

Really nice and less touristy than a a lot of other similar options. Loads of Thai food to try which is outside of more usual street food options. Easy to get to, cost £3 from Khao San rd in a Bolt.
Thanon Khao San, a bustling urban area, is a popular resting place for backpackers offering various types of accommodations, shops, and bars. Once known as a hippie and backpacker haven, it has now evolved into a more upscale destination while still maintaining its affordable lodging options. The famed Khao San Road. Fills of bars and clubs on both sides of the walking street with some food vendors in between them. Pretty normal during the day but comes alive at night. Beautiful clean cozy lounge. Staff were friendly polite and helpful. COVID regulations are very well followed. Not overcrowded. Food was lovely. Vegetarian / Vegan friendly. One of the few lounges that are open at the moment. Highly recommended!

Rude front desk staff. Looked and acted bored, like they not want people to come there. First they did not want to welcome me as an American Express Platinum member to get in there, but after American Express talked directly with them they reluctantly let me visit the place anyway. Bad food and drinks with very poor selections of almost only rice and bread options. Not much of alcohol selections. Dirty tables and old furnitures. I must say this is one of the worst lounges I've seen.

It was amazingly quiet and peaceful during the morning rush hour. It's huge and got plentiful of comfortable seating area a little away from the noisy dining area. Only setback negative for me was there was very less option of food to choose from. Very limited, and for vegetarians only vegetable sandwich and cheese sandwich in white bread. Apart from cereal and butter jam.
Wide range of drinks available.

The food is above average with many varieties to choose.
It also has the shower room here if you want to take a shower before boarding the flight. The space is quite large and has many table to serve several people.

Long layover flights need very comfy seats and great food. They did not fail on this aspect. Great showers as well with towels and stuff. Be careful not to pay in dollars or euros as they will give you a rate that would cost you 20-30€ more. Exchange rate they gave us was as of January and it’s already end of February.

To be honest it’s more a better waiting area. Food is quite limited. If you’re a vegetarian your up to some cheese sandwiches. Coffee is only a Nescafé machine. Drinks are low standard alcoholic beverages and a few soft drinks. It’s clear that you’re traveling on a ticket by airlines who want to avoid costs for their Business Class and Status passengers . Washroom are outdated and basically maintained. reception does not welcome you but ask for invitation cards first
Quite unusual for Thailand

Located at the domestic terminal. Limited seating capacity. Calm and quiet place. Food was delicious. One drawback was that there were no washrooms inside.

The place looks nice and is clean, but it's too crowded and noisy. The seats are uncomfortable and mainly opposite one another, which is fine if you travel with a companion, but awkward if one travels alone. Not all have power outlets. Food and beverages are OK.

Unimpressed by my visit. Tables left dirty and cluttered. Hot food choices - everything with rice to which i was sick of. Poor alcohol selection. Good washrooms/shower facilities. However the entrance desk was efficient and friendly. contemporary decor and comfortable seating.

Small lounge with limited variety of food. It’s adequate with the seating and you can view the boarding information on a screen in the corner.
It will do if you need a quick rest and simple meal/snack

Asiana Flight 742 Used as a coupon received at check-in. Thai Airways Orchid Lounge is partially under construction, so it seems like a replacement lounge. It's a personal guess. It was nice and not crowded. The food is also better than Thai Airways Orchid Lounge. There was a shower, but I didn't use it. It's smaller than Incheon International Airport's Asiana Lounge, but the food served was better.

Nice peaceful not crowded lounge. With full range of food and drinks. First time here and I am quite impressed with the meals here.
There are steamed rice chicken and few choices of Thai dishes
The a bar with alcohol from wines to liquids
The sofas are comfy as well

It is located in the domestic departure terminal of Bangkok International Airport, to the left after passing through security. The interior space is not very large, but it's not crowded, making it a quiet place to rest. You can relax for 2 hours using Priority Pass. The food options range from cold and hot beverages to cold and hot dishes, as well as desserts. The variety is extensive, and the quality is excellent, with clean and delicious offerings. This small lounge is better than lounges in some international airports, such as Istanbul International Airport and Osaka International Airport in Japan.

The chicken rice and curry served here are surprisingly delicious. Spacious area for those who want a short rest or something to eat and drink before flight.

The lounge is a bit far, could have been better if there are more cleaners as the place is a bit dirty due to numerous number of guests.
However, the food selection is good.
The chicken rice and noodles are extremely delicious and you should definitely try it if you are here.

Fruit and salad bar.
Not crowded and seems well maintained.

The Jim Thompson House Museum, located on the Saen Saeb Canal in Bangkok, is a must-visit attraction. Once the home of American entrepreneur and architect Jim Thompson, it now showcases his impressive art collection. Thompson played a pivotal role in revitalizing the Thai silk industry after World War II and was honored for his contributions to Thailand. The museum features six traditional Thai teakwood houses that were carefully collected from different parts of Thailand by Thompson himself.
It’s beautiful. The tours only around 45 minutes but it’s totally worth the 200B you pay. Guide was very well rehearsed in her oratory and knowledgeable when pressed further. Love the place, went 4 years ago then again recently and will pay a further visit when I’m back in BKK in a couple weeks.
The grounds and rooms are magnificent to behold if you’ve an eye for the sort of planning that goes into that kind of thing. A solid recommend.
John O?Noakes — Google review
I adore the house, garden and various artworks around the museum. The guide tour itself feels clearly geared towards the white tourists. I guess it’s a general feel-good story about a Caucasian business man went to Asian, got fascinated by the culture, loved by the natives, and most of all, saw a great business opportunity. The tour did show how Jim and his partners embraced Thai traditions and how he was undeniably a crucial factor in the flourish of the nation’s silk industry, but the narration feels a bit monotone as it doesn’t take the Thai people into the picture and more about how tasteful Jim is. Besides, in each room there are screens that show art performance of another contemporary artist, which I feel kinda out of nowhere and don’t really fit the atmosphere.

A beautiful, calming stop in Bangkok. The museum is peaceful, with gorgeous gardens and intricately detailed architecture and interior decoration. They offer tours about 45 minutes length in different languages. You’ll learn about the history of Jim Thompson and his learnings and contributions to Thai culture, including the construction of his house, his promotion of Thai silk as a prized material for global fashion, and his mysterious disappearance. Along the way you’ll also learn about traditional Thai architecture and home living culture. There is a small cafe and a restaurant on the grounds as well. Well worth a stop when visiting Bangkok

There’s only the option of taking a guided tour (available in multiple languages) for 400 baht. They start every half hour.
Beautifully curated history of both Thailand and Jim Thompson. Through him you can learn lots about Thai architecture, textiles, trade, and beliefs. There’s also a textile exhibit which was really informative. The gift shop had stunning pieces, far far too
expensive for us, but still a treat to see!

After all the hectic travel around Bangkok, arriving at Jim Thompson house was such a immense pleasure for some authentic Thai vibe art and respect for the culture. After the tour with the guide, you are free to visit the garden on your own and finish either at the restaurant or the shop. I spent 1hour in the shop and ending up with plenty of high quality silk scarfs and gifts for my family. The designs are super modern if you want something a bit out of the ordinary and also very traditional. For every taste! The lady seller was also very nice!
Have a visit there ;)

Interesting house museum that belonged to an American Silk businessman. The tour through the house explains both the art pieces as well as interesting information of Jim Thomson and the house itself.
Don't miss the garden, it's as beautiful as the house and excellently maintained.
I also tried the restaurant and found it good, even though it is a bit price compared to other places in Bangkok.

This place is brilliant. I almost didn't go. It's a hidden gem. The tour was fabulous. Our tour guide was hilarious, a real giggler. I almost turned back because you can't proceed without a tour and the next English tour wasn't for another hour. Anyway, it was well worth it. If you are in that area go go go!

Well worth a visit. The house and grounds are beautiful, the tour (essential to enter the house) is regular and available in multiple languages, offering interesting facts about the house, the history and Jim Thompson. Lovely fabrics available in the shop, although pricey. We went to the outlet shop in a different part of the city where they have a much wider range of products at significantly lower prices (mostly 30-50%, some even over 50%).

Only visited this because it was very close to our hotel, but was pleasantly surprised. An interesting example of colonialism, an architectural gem, lovely gardens and a guided tour that's included in the cheap entrance fee. I would recommend it. The gift shop has lonely silk stuff, albeit very expensive.

Pretty cool experience. It’s a beautiful and old wooden house with interesting and eccentric additions. Jim Thompson was an American silk tycoon who fell in love with Thailand and made it his permanent home. He disappeared without explanation in Myanmar in the 1960s.
He has some wonderful and quite amazing artifacts in the house, including a sculpture from the 7th century. The tour is only 200 baht and it’s fairly informative. The garden is a highlight—it’s breathtakingly beautiful.
Overall, this is a good experience, but it’s not incredible. The tour is a bit short, the house is a bit small, and there’s not too much additional “woo” for your buck.

I loved seeing the old wooden homes and hearing Jim Thompson's story. The small garden was so peaceful. The silks were exquisite. We had to wait 15 minutes for an English tour. The tour guide was knowledgeable. It's easy to get to from the sky train.

I visited this place and noticed that it attracts more tourists than locals, despite the fascinating story of the house and the fame of Thai silk-making. Inside are different sections, including a guided tour of the place in foreign languages (English, Chinese, and Japanese), a cafe, a brand shop, and a renovated restaurant. The admission fee is only 200 baht, and the tour lasts 45 minutes.
The atmosphere at Jim's in Thompson felt shady as if it's not in Bangkok. The food and drinks at the cafe were alright, but I found the prices a bit high for the portion sizes. On a positive note, there's a rotating exhibition on the second floor of the brand store, and it's free to view.

Jim Thompson house was one of my favorite places in Bangkok. I enjoyed the required tour in which you get a glimpse into his life, how the house came into being, the history of silk as it relates to Mr. Thompson, and the beautiful artwork he collected. His disappearance in 1967 is fascinating. A gift shop on the grounds has unique beautiful silk clothes and accessories. The shop happens to be air conditioned if you go when it's hot. Also, nice cafe, garden, and restrooms available. The house is considered a national treasure, with good reason, it's truly special. My pictures don't do it justice.

It's a nice place to visit, especially for those interested in wooden architecture. However, the tour guide speaks very quickly and rushes through explanations from one room to another. We paid 200 Baht for the tour. Some people may have enjoyed the experience and gained new insights, but others might have felt overwhelmed.

I'd heard of Jim Thompson before visiting Thailand, but my wife had not. What I liked is how the tour takes you through not only his house, but his life as well. The staff were super nice and knowledgeable of the man and his life. I loved the architecture of how the house was laid out, the history of it's design, and of course the mystery of the final whereabouts of Jim Thomson himself. The guide was available in many languages and they were quite kind. The area around his house is well designed and quite peaceful. Would definitely go again.

Really love this place, especially if you know the story of this person and his brand (read in advance!!)
BUT I won’t recommend you to go here with expectations, excursion was the worse I have ever had. Such a brilliant story end up with “this is the toilet in the house”.
You have to wait for 40 minutes for a slot and can’t take video 😝 I mean… we are in 21 century, come on. Groups are so close to each other that you can hear other languages and they are in a hurry with that. No time to enjoy or questions
They have 3 languages: Japanese, English and French
Interesting that routes are different if you go with different guides and you will know or don’t know several facts
I was impressed more when I talked with people who knew him.
Again: plan for couple of hours to spend there
Better to come around 1-2 pm, take a tour, take some time to spend in terrace or cafe and buy something in the shop
Shop: it’s cool sometimes to meet a lady to get a discount 15% voucher, and a tax free then. Check the website, sometimes discounts in several different shops are different.
Take your time and get your coffee upstairs.
If you go on a date book a table in the restaurant or tea house. Really cool!
Then go to boat station and take the boat it’s just 12 batt and you will have amazing views of truly Thailand life
Update: we end up with 2 dresses, pants, small mirrors and the quality are so good, you won’t regret!

Saket Temple, also known as the Golden Mount, is a significant Buddhist temple and pilgrimage site in Bangkok. It offers extensive city views and showcases the local culture and traditions of the area. The temple's architecture and shrine of Lord Buddha at the top provide a stunning 360-degree view of Bangkok. Visitors, including children, can appreciate ancient art and culture while learning about the magnificent history of this place.
One of the very beautiful temples in the heart of Bangkok! Quite close to Grand Palace and Wat Arun (actually many great temples around here) and it's absolutely magnificent place to be. You have to climb closer to 400 steps and you don't feel it. Usually they call in Golden Buddha in case if you can't find it. They charge 50 Baht for a foreigner but there is no one to check whether you got a ticket or not.
Brilliant sunset if you go up around 5.30 - 6.00 and you can see pretty much the whole city from there.

This was an experience that will stay with me for as long as I live. The beauty here is amazing. If you're lucky enough, you'll be at the top just as the sun starts to set, and it gets dark. That's when you get to see the unexpected. As you gaze in the distance, you'll see many other temples shining in contrast to the night. Just beautiful.

A calm and nice environment in the middle of Bangkok. This is also Bangkok's highest point, so the view is super nice. At the top of the mountain is a temple and to see it you only need to walk the 344 steps. Worth a visit, maybe not during the hottest days of the year.

This visit to the temple was so calming and rejuvenating. The sound of ringing bells, the winds atop the temple and the prayers; It all made me feel at ease. This feeling; I wish I could have carried this around with me, everywhere I go. The mist spray that welcomed the visitors, at the entry would made you feel cool, even though the weather is a bit hot. I think everyone needs a visit to these sacred temples, from time to time. In these temples, lies so much peace, waiting for each of the visiting souls to come and take back home.

The history of this mound is interesting.
Very good sign boards and the ticket fee for a foreigner is 50 THB per person.
Surrounding this mound , there are other few temples as well . Well maintained and clean .
344 steps climbing is fun and doesn’t make you tired . Don’t forget to see different buddhas lucky Buddha , Fortune Buddha , Black Buddha .you can have a 360 degree view of Bangkok atop the temple . Can spend around 2 hrs and better to go there by 4 pm so as to see the sunset as well .

One of the most beautiful temple in Bangkok. Said to be built and continuously developed since the reign of Rama I. From the recording, the temple collapsed many times in the past. But it was rebuilt and stable for a long time now.
An iconic temple like standing on the top of golden temple, you can see from a far. You can walk from ground to the top to see the view of Bangkok city.
There are also countless parking lots available. Must come to pay a visit!

100bht to enter and you buy your ticket from a little kiosk at the base of the steps. It was a lovely place, a surprise find when looking for somewhere extra to visit before we left Bangkok. The large bells look lovely and sound deep and calming. There is a steady winding walk around the Mount to the top. The views along the way are wonderful, you can see the other Ways and various other traditional type buildings dotted in amongst Bangkok's city. At the top were 4 Buddha to see in the centre of the Mount and then you could go up a further small winding staircase out onto the 'roof' where the top golden dome of the Mount was. There was the opportunity to make various donations for bells, to Buddha and for items like monks clothing if you wished and to use the fortune sticks.
It was a lovely place but I would say it is not wheelchair suitable and would be tiring for less able people due to the number of steps to the top. I saw a coffee shop halfway up and near the base .
Spotlessly clean toilets at the base where you have to take your shoes off and use their 'slippers' to enter.

Visiting this place in the evening was the best decision I could have made. The amazing lights, the traditional chants of the monks and the hundreds of steps to climb the hill... all this gives you a moment to think about what is important, what counts and why we keep looking to the future and not living in the present. A temple which it's absolutely necessary to visit at the time of a visit to Bangkok and which however is not very known. It's located in height and dominates the city with an absolutely spectacular panoramic sight. It's necessary to climb a certain number of steps but at each "plateau", one attends something of magic. Huge gongs with a sublime sound that give us the illusion of being projected in an ancient era, prayer bells with a very nice sound too. Until we reach the temple at the top from which it's possible to go up to admire the golden stupa.
A very nice discovery that I am glad I did not miss.

Beautiful scenic temple overlooking Bangkok, while there are several flights of stairs to walk up to the top the steps are very shallow and the breeze makes it a cool walk up. There are many bells to ring as you go up which is fun, and as you reach the top you will see monks and several places to worship - it’s an amazingly peaceful escape from the city. Don’t miss out climbing to the top of the pagoda, the steps can be easy to miss. Tickets are 100baht each and you get a free drink included. As it’s a religious site do remember to wear appropriate clothing (no tank tops/shorts).

The Golden Mount Temple itself wasn't extraordinary, however the alcoves of nature, sculptures, and water features as you climb the stairs are very pretty and well maintained. The temple, as most of the temples we visited in Thailand, are an active place of worship. Remember to be respectful as you tour the temple and its grounds. Ringing the bells and the gongs are encouraged and it was one of the highlights of our visit. The restrooms (toilets) requested that you not wear your shoes. There were sandals/slides for visitors to put on while using the facilities.
The view from the top was really beautiful.

I read another review here and took the recommendation of going at sunset. It was the most beautiful experience I’ve had, walking up to the setting sun, ringing the bells, and hearing the chanting of the monks on the way up. It also is a tad bit cooler at that time compared to the daytime. I took my time and got there by 5:30, walked around the downstairs bit and then started making my way up. By the time you come downstairs after sunset, a lot of things downstairs will be closed so recommend spending some time downstairs and exploring the place before going up for sunset. I also saw people shaking the red canister and found out we can pull our fortune so I also did it. They have the messages on the side in numbers based on the number you pull. There is another floor to climb once you reach the temples on the first level. You just need to go inside and follow the stairs up.

Tops MBK Center is a well-stocked and organized supermarket located in the basement of the mall. It offers a wide range of products including fresh fruits, snacks, wine, toiletries, and ready-to-eat food. While some prices may be slightly higher than other supermarkets, the quality and shopping experience make it worthwhile.

Wat Suthat Thepwararam Ratchaworamahawihan is a magnificent 19th-century Buddhist temple known for its iconic 20-meter red teak Giant Swing and an impressive 8-meter bronze Buddha. The temple holds the highest royal temple grade and features intricate Jataka murals inside the sanctuary.
This is a temple I never intended to visit but I Googled places to visit and Giant Swing caught my interest. When I arrived I saw this huge temple and couldn't resist.
Thai lady at the ticket office was lovely and allowed me to practice my Thai with her. She was very accommodating. 100 baht to enter. Map provided.
Scorching day, I tried to stick to the shade where possible. I was very impressed by the size of the 2 temples inside.
Gardens were kept really well presented with many statues on show.

The South End of this Temple Site is all Monks Accommodation but interesting to walk through. The North End has two beautiful Temple Buildings, both well worth visiting. One is aligned North-South and the other East-West. I was really impressed with the murals which cover every inch of the wall space inside the Temples, real works of art. The grounds are paved with no natural shade or seating areas, some construction work going on there currently but not on the two main buildings.

The one of most beautiful temple in Thailand . You can pay homage and ask for blessings from the sacred things of Thailand.

This is one of the must-see tourist attractions in Bangkok. I honestly find this place better then the Golden Buddha. Both are worth the visit but if you have to choose one I would come here. There is a great yard where you can enjoy some shadows and take some great photos.
Definitely worth it.

It is another beautiful and sacred temple in Thailand. It is also the longest Buddhism chamber in Thailand. Inside, there are beautiful and splendid paintings on the walls. walk all over the chapel for whole day is not enough. Both the interior painting and the outside architecture are really beautiful. This temple is not far from subway, BTS Sam Yod station, only 3 minutes walk.

It was a great idea to visit. The wonderful temple is a must-visit place in Bangkok. It stands as one of the most famous temples in Thailand. We were fortunate that it wasn't crowded on the day we visited. It is definitely a must-see attraction in Bangkok.

It's a beautiful temple. There is another thing that used to be a symbol or landmark of Bangkok besides Wat Phra Kaew, namely the Giant Swing.
Thais enter for free, foreigners pay an entrance fee of 100 baht.
It has 2 temples with a big Buddha and a small one. The whole area is pretty big you can walk around and when finish with temple go out to watch giand swing and the plaza there .

A beautiful temple that is worth a visit. 100baht for foreigners. Make a donation before using the incense, candle and flower.
I visited on a Tuesday morning and there were very few people there. It is hard to enjoy these spots when there are people everywhere. It is very peaceful here and the building and statues are all beautiful.

Lovely and such a holy place to visit with friends and family. Beautiful that can't even explain the inside view of temple. I went there 5th times. Plus, it includes some old shop before entering temple where school students eat sometimes and it give best view of old siam. I love the place.

I have an affinity with wat suthat. This is the first temple I visited during my Bangkok trip back in the teenage years. The temple is currently undergoing a major reconstruction due to it’s legacy. This is a place of rich historical value and religious practice. The walls of the praying halls are crafted with hand painted story-line of the Buddha teachings. I feel at ease and delighted at revisiting wat suthat after all these years. Thank you for being a part of me, I will be back again soon with my 3 daughters to visit wat suthat. Satu. 🙏🙏🙏.

A charming looking albeit fairly modern Buddhist temple. Lots of buildings inside, such as halls and stupas and galleries. Very photogenic place and rather cheap to visit despite being a functioning temple. Its claim to fame is the presence of the "Giant Swing" in the plaza in front of it.

Majestic, tranquil and simply breathtaking. Thais are so proud of their culture and their arts as manifested in this temple compound!
A hidden gen indeed that needs to be explored and experienced.

Wat Suthat Thepwararam Ratchaworamahawihan is a Buddhist temple located in the heart of Bangkok, Thailand. It is one of the largest and most important temples in the city, and it is a popular tourist destination.
The temple was built in the 1800s during the reign of King Rama I. It is named after the giant swing that once stood in front of the temple. The swing was used for a religious ceremony in which participants would swing high into the air on a rope. The ceremony was banned in the early 1900s, but the swing remains a popular tourist attraction.
Wat Suthat is a beautiful and impressive temple. The main hall is decorated with intricate carvings and murals. The temple also houses a large number of Buddha images, including a giant reclining Buddha.
Wat Suthat is a great place to learn about Thai culture and religion. Visitors can observe monks chanting, people praying, and families offering food to the Buddha. The temple is also a great place to take photos.

Wat Suthat Thepwaranam Rachaworamahawihan is under reconstruction but even then worth of visit. The entrance fee is 100 baht for tourists, about 2,7 euro; for local people the entrance is free. When the reparation is over, you can see a nice square of Buddhas sitting around the Viharn of the temple. As a Bangkok temple, Wat Suthat Thepwaranam Rachaworamahawihan is not surprisingly a big, magnificent, awesome temple.

Temple that keeps King's Rama VIII cinerarium. A very old temple built for 200 years since the establishment of the Kingdom. Nearby the Giant swing which is now also Bangkok's landmark. The architecture is Thai style mixed with Chinese influence.
Located within the Grand Palace in Bangkok, Thailand, the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, also known as Wat Phra Kaew, is a must-see attraction. The temple houses a revered 26-inch emerald Buddha statue and is considered one of the most sacred temples in Thailand. Legend has it that this precious statue originated in India and brings prosperity to the countries where it resides.
We were lucky enough to go to the grand palace and the temple of the Emerald Buddha, while Thailand is still empty due to covid restrictions and a slow restart tourism. It was absolutely incredible. There were probably less than 100 people on the entire premises during our visit. It is spectacular and well worth the visit even if the crowds were much denser. If you take the boat, finding entrances somewhat tricky so do your research.

Even as local, I still can't get enough of this temple. It's elegant craft and detail worked that's go into building this temple is absolutely astounding. It can get very how during the day (especially during the Summer) best time to visit is very early in the morning when the temple just open. It's also good to try to avoid the crowds. Make sure to take the time to enjoy the wall painting along the temple.

The inside of this temple is as impressive as the outside. You can visit as part of the Grand Palace entry.
You can only take photos of the outside of the temple, but it's well worth taking the time to sit down inside and drink in the details. The free brochure they give you at the ticket entrance has a good quick read on the history of the Emerald Buddha.

Cool to walk around in the royal palace area! So much to see and explore! The details is so beautiful! Loved my time here! But you should know that it is extremely crowded, so you have to force yourself through a lot! And it is a bit expensive with 500 baht

The time that was taken to construct these temples is heavily felt upon approaching this place. I took advantage of the prayer rooms, the outdoor prayer stations, and taking in the beauty. I met people from all over the world and had great exchanges. As a Christian, I was still able to respect and appreciate another religion and how our beliefs and faith bring us together in such a positive way.
Tips:
-Dress modestly
-Wear socks because some places prohibit shoes
-DO NOT get a Buddha tattoo

Located on a hill with a beautiful location, you can overlook the coastal city of Pattaya. The temple was built with unique architecture and is very typical of Thai culture. Very beautiful and dignified. The tour guide shared about the culture and spiritual beliefs here. The pagoda stands out with a majestic large golden Buddha image. 2 dragons spit out a 7-headed snake. A spiritual place you should visit once!So beautiful!..

Not to be missed when visiting Bangkok. The ticket includes entry to this temple and the Grand Palace (actually this temple is part of the Grand Palace). It includes also a traditional dance show at a nearby theater. It is worth watching it and there are free shuttles just outside the temple. Following Lonely Planet's advice I looked for a guide inside. There were no guides, except for a free tour run by the administration that I believe runs 4 times a day (10, 10:30, and another 2 in the afternoon). Unfortunately, I had hard time understanding the guide (the mask certainly didn't help), so I quit the free tour and followed the free brochure (they have them in several languages) and I was just fine going with that. Most of the people were with guides hired outside the temple and they seemed to do well. It gets quite warm during the day, so my advice is to be there early. There is a lot to see, plan for at least 3-4 hours (combined with the Grand Palace). One more thing, you can't take photos or videos inside the temple.
Gabriele Giaquinto — Google review
Was very crowded inside the temple. Would be a good idea to limit the amount of people inside at a time to allow a more enjoyable experience. Prayer can be difficult with everyone trampling around taking selfies and such, not to mention how loud it can be. 5 stars for Buddha, 2 stars for organization.

Everything here is well preserved, the emerald Buddha is kept in the ordination hall or bot.
No photos taken allowed inside the hall so no pictures of Emerald Buddha to share, but it’s magnificent and majestic. I’m proud to be Thai and once in life to visit there.
No shorts 🩳 or revealing outfit allowed there be prepared before step into the temple and after your trip has finished don’t take any taxi 🚖 from there it’s not ordinary taxi the cost way too high I recommend to take a bus go anywhere that far enough from that area then you can take a taxi.
On the way to get there no problem to use taxi or Grab but the way back is super difficult.

If you were to visit only one temple in Bangkok, it might as well be this one. As glamorous and grandiose as a temple can get. Without mentioning the beautiful gardens and scenery.
They change guards periodically and go marching in groups around protecting the palace. As long as you're respectful and don't break any rules, you should have a great time.
And if you happen to be a Buddhist or have similar beliefs, then you'll have a wonderful time.
Even kids might enjoy seeing the giants and sculptures all over the place.
Don't skip on the museum of the Queens fabric. No pictures are allowed on most of the classic dresses and outfits.

Title: Timeless Majesty: The Grand Palace of Bangkok
A visit to the Grand Palace in Bangkok is a step into a world of unparalleled grandeur and history. The intricate architecture, vibrant gardens, and revered Emerald Buddha create an aura of reverence. The palace's diverse buildings, adorned with captivating art, provide insights into Thai culture and history. A symbol of Thailand's heritage, the Grand Palace stands as a remarkable blend of spirituality, artistry, and regal splendor.

Amazing place! Lots to see! Definitely worth the money!
Be careful; lots of tuktuk drivers will lie to you and say it’s closed. Just checked their website before and you’ll know for sure.
There is a common scam that they’ll do right and bring you to the lucky Buddha instead as it’s closed to tourists

Iconic tourist destination, filled with Thailand's cultural diversity, stories and much more.
The statues and golden Temple blinking in the mid-day sun is just an amazing sight. You have to look up close at the wall, the pillars, the statues to see the details, the complexity which artists put time into.
Around the main site, there is wall mural with so much stories, arts for you to enjoy. If you want to deeper understand the story behind the mural, rent an audio tour or get a tour guide to tell you its story. Magical.
However, be sure to bring an umbrella or you'll have a head-ache from the sun and the bright view of the golden temple.

Is it nice to visit? Sure. Is it worth 500B? I absolutely don’t believe so, especially for a religious site where Thai residents can enter for free but tourists get overcharged. You will need to wear long pants and cover indecent exposed body parts to enter. There are vendors right outside to sell you those at a marked up price.
Ticket includes free admission to an art museum that closes on certain days and a performance show to a theater nearby where you can get free shuttle to at the exit if you have the ticket. I highly recommend going to the Khao show because it is worth 400Baht alone and would make you feel like the 500Baht entrance ticket is somewhat worth it.
The temple itself is pretty nice to see but it’s very crowded nearly everyday. You can see the palace mansion on your way out. There is also an air conditioned museum on your way out.
This would have a higher rating if not for the overpriced ticket.

I find it difficult to come up with words to describe the experience of visiting this remarkable temple. Its opulence is extraordinary, and yet, upon entering I was filled with a sense of tranquility such as I haven’t felt in a while. Perhaps the sincerity of many of those who entered to worship had its effect on me. Regardless, this is a temple that must be experienced to be understood. No photos are allowed in the interior. I believe that’s the way it should be.

One of the most important and significant Buddhist temples in Bangkok and throughout Thailand, this sacred site draws locals who come to pray with white flowers. I found this tradition truly admirable during my visit to the temple. Moreover, the atmosphere inside was incredibly serene!
The artworks adorning the inner walls are truly astonishing and one could easily spend half an hour simply admiring them. However, it's important to note that using a camera inside the temple is strictly prohibited. The Emerald Buddha Idol, a divine masterpiece, left me in awe. Knowing that such a beautiful artistic, cultural, and religious relic originated from India filled me with a sense of pride as an Indian. (information sourced from the internet) Situated within the Grand Palace complex, this temple is accessible with the same ticket purchased for entry to the Grand Palace.

Yes, this is a must visit. Visiting the Palace is a buy-one-get-two event. In actuality, you'll probably spend more time in the religious portion of the palace (~10% of the site) than in the remainder of the grounds. There is enough to see to keep you busy for a few hours. And it is worth the hours! You will need a map to explore all the nooks and crannies. We walked the entire wall, looking at the artwork. You may want to bone up on your Hindu mythology; there are a lot of mystical creatures and magical bows. Expert tips - Yes, gentlemen do need long pants, which are available on premises, and cheaper (with better variety) if you buy them at a local shop. There is only one entry up on the NE corner of the walled complex. Google Maps show it correctly. I would not try to visit another site on the same day - a walk through, especially on a hot day, is more than enough. I'd recommend staying up in Khao San Road for a few days and visiting the other major sites in the "old city" at a more relaxed pace.

Excellent experience overall, understand how rich Thailand culture and experience their history, Buddhism and architecture marvels. Emerald Buddha temple is huge and you feel very pleasant near the shrine of lord Buddha and the historic events carved around the temple walls. Outside of the temple has these emeralds, gems stone carved into the walls makes it more amazing. When you visit Bangkok this temple is a must to be in the list. If you are a historic person then must have. You can visit with family and kids. Buy the tickets at the temple, if you are a foreigner, the cost is 500 Bahts and get access to Emerald Buddha temple, Grand palace and Queen museum of arts and fashion.

Very nice Temple, it was the first temple that we visited in Bangkok from the list of 5, by far the nicest one. I really like that you have to take off your shoes before going inside the temple and they even show in front at the entry in the temple that you should not point your feet to Buddha.
The premises are wide, and there are lots of things to see, but it is very crowded.
We bought the tickets online so it was bit fast for us, they just had to scan it and in we were.

This is the most expensive ticket I have bought to visit a temple on my trip to Bangkok at 500baht. Although it was a beautiful place, I have enjoyed visiting the less popular temples in Bangkok. There are many tours going on so you keep hearing people explain things very loudly and situations like that.

The Grand Palace, a historic complex in Bangkok, was established in 1782 and is now open to the public as a museum. It features over 100 buildings constructed over two centuries, including Wat Phra Kaew, which houses the revered Emerald Buddha. The palace grounds are expansive and showcase stunning golden palaces, intricate Buddha statues, and more than 50 temples.
The dazzling, spectacular Grand Palace is undoubtedly the most famous landmark in Bangkok. It’s one must-see sight that no visit to the city would be complete without. It was built in 1782 and for 150 years was the home of the Thai King, the Royal court and the administrative seat of government.
The Grand Palace of Bangkok is a grand old dame indeed, that continues to have visitors in awe with its beautiful architecture and intricate detail, all of which is a proud salute to the creativity and craftsmanship of the Thai people. Within its walls were also the Thai war ministry, state departments, and even the mint. Today, the complex remains the spiritual heart of the Thai Kingdom.

It's beautiful. The entry ticket is 500 baht. It includes the cost for 3 things. 1 of these things is at another location. The ticket is valid for 1 day for the grand palace and as far as I can remember, for 7 days for the other 2 things. It's better to keep 2 days to complete the grand palace visit. Unfortunately I went there on the last day of my tour and was able to see just the grand palace. The textile museum is also nice.

Amazing, lots of history and culture all in one place. The detail, and the vibrant colours are just superb. Well worth the 500 Baht. Only drawback is that it is so popular that you are always competing for space, or waiting for others to finish to take a photo, or having people walk into your shots.

Bangkok is one of the famous and attractive places among tourists and it is one of the highly recommended place for its tourist places.

Grand palace is one the places which you can not miss if your are planning your trip to Bangkok.
The Grand palace is basically the home of the king of the Bangkok and it is very nicely maintained. The place is full of the temples and the King palace with well decorated with varieties flower trees.

Overall, it was a majestic experience. I highly recommend anyone visiting to borrow an umbrella near the ticket counter upon entering, trust me, it's a lifesaver against the scorching heat. The heat literally burns you. Don't forget sunscreen too.
The palace complex is vast and filled with rich history and intricate details, especially the murals that tell many captivating stories. To fully appreciate the art and architecture, consider getting a guide. While there's a counter providing free tour guides in various languages, I found that the English-speaking guides were not as fluent as I had hoped, making it tough to follow along with the history being shared. it would be wise to find a proficient tour guide or to do some research before your visit. you'll be able to fully immerse yourself in the grandeur and storied past of these temples and palace . Oh , and when you're done, the umbrella can be easily returned at a booth near the exit, which is quite convenient.
All in all, the Grand Palace is a remarkable site that you shouldn't miss when in Thailand. Just come prepared and you'll have a much more enjoyable and educational visit. 5 stars for the overall experience!

The view of the palace buildings in Thailand style architecture, all ornamented colorfully, right in the entrance, is just stunning and eye catching. People just kept taking pictures around, trying to find the best angle to catch the impressive view of the palaces, statues, columns and the towers.
The place was very crowded with many tour groups, each one with its own guide, all of them shouting quite loudly, to explain the characteristics of the buildings to their group.
The entrance fee is 500 baht.
When going back to the hotel, taxis around this place were asking abusive fixed price for the ride, much more expensive than when arrived there.
It is better to take a bus, in a bus stop near to the exit.

What a magnificent place to visit. There was a good size crowd to get in, but it was only a short wait for the tickets and the queue was moving quickly to enter the Palace grounds.
Dress code is strictly adhered to, but vendors outside can provide you with the necessary cover, at a premium price, if you are unaware or forget to dress appropriately.
Can get scorching hot inside as there is little air circulating and a lack of shade from the sun. Taking water is definitely worthwhile on a hot sunny day.
There is a free bust to transfer you to the free cultural dance performance at the theatre. The show starts at 1pm and you really need to be at the Palace exit where the buses are by 12.45

I think everyone must see The Grand Palace at least once. I really enjoyed looking at the architecture.
First - cover shoulders and legs, men must wear trousers.
Two - avoid the tour guides at the front gate unless you want one (you buy your own ticket once inside), just walk through and the guards will wave you through security after checking that you are dressed appropriately.
Three - there is a machine you can buy tickets with card if you want to avoid the line at the booth.
Four - there are drink stalls at the beginning, middle and a cafe at the end.
Five - the first gold part with beautiful art is only the beginning, keep walking and you will get to the rest of the complex.

Worth to visit as you can see the building built with unique architecture and specific details structures in every building. One thing is you can not wear the short pants or skirt inside if you’re wearing that, you need to buy the clothes that they sell in the entrance to cover yourself for the girls. It’s better to bring your own water there and hat as usually so hot there. 🤩

The place is absolutely amazing, buildings are gorgeous, a real feast for the eye. There's no question of visiting it or not when in Bangkok, it's a hard yes. Not giving 5 stars because if you're not part of a guided tour, there's absolutely no information for the visitor. And facilities like toilets need an upgrade.

Easily spent half a day here. We opted for the free English tour which you join inside. It helps to have read a bit of the history of the palace before hand. In some of the buildings you need to take off your shoes before entering. Definitely need a hat and sunglasses when wandering around outside.

An absolute must-see in Bangkok. It is a magnificent place full of art and beauty. You will want to stay inside for hours. There are many things to see, and everything is so pristine that it feels unreal. The ticket is a bit expensive but it also offers the entrance to a dance show which is fantastic and you can return to the Palace if you wish another time. I personally loved it, and I would no doubt recommend this place to anyone coming to Bangkok. I got the audio guide, which was very useful to understand everything. To enter one of the main temples, you need to remove your shoes.

Phra Borom Maha Ratchawang, Phra Nakhon, Bangkok 10200, Thailand
Wat Phra Chetuphon Wimon Mangkhalaram Rajwaramahawihan, also known as the Temple of the Reclining Buddha, is a significant landmark temple in Thailand. The temple grounds offer a serene atmosphere and are home to a massive 46-meter-long reclining Buddha statue. Visitors can explore historic art, statues, and colorful murals depicting over 400 images of the Buddha. Additionally, the temple houses a traditional Thai massage school.
A safe, religious and wonderful environment amidst the crowded passages around. Wat Pho is a very energetic, historical place and the presence of Buddhists in this place has made it a special place for foreign tourists. This is a spiritual space, but full of color. When I was here for photography, I was very surprised by the cleanliness and beauty of all the structures in this place. If you are going to Bangkok as an active tourist, I suggest you go to this lovely place
Alireza Akhlaghi — Google review
The highlight of this temple is the giant golden 150 feet long reclining Buddha. The surroundings of the temple have a few pagodas and Wat Pho is just within walking distance (approximately a 10-minute walk) from the Grand Palace.
Wat Pho is now a center for traditional massage and medicine but was the first public university in Thailand to focus on religion and literature back then.
Other than the reclining Buddha and pagodas, there is nothing much to explore in this temple. It is advisable for visitors to strictly follow the dress code for any temple in Thailand including Wat Pho. Women must wear skirts or pants extending at least to the knee and strictly not wear a top that reveals bare shoulders.

Really pretty temple especially near sunset and it felt really tranquil too, very low traffic noises. However try to leave some extra time so that you can visit the other temple across the river as both close at 6pm. Ladies can enter the vicinity but if you wanna see the giant reclining Buddha or the prayer room you have to have a cover for your shoulders, there are some shawls that you can borrow at these entrances for free and make sure to return it when you’re done.

A must do visit. The reclining golden Buddha in Bangkok is an amazing sight. 200 THB admission fee to enter the premises. Stunning Buddha, 46 metres in length & 15 metres in height, which just about fits in the building. Lots of other smaller Buddha's & historical pictures & ornaments in the surrounding buildings. Do make sure you wear appropriate clothing when you visit!

The vibe is extremely positive here and it’s a must visit place as this is one of the tourist attraction. This place is maintained well and is neat. There’s a separate place to offer prayers and to burn incense sticks. Burn incense sticks only in the dedicated area allotted.
If you are buying a small Lord Buddha statue, do not place it down as this is considered disrespectful and please maintain dress code here as you will be asked to otherwise no entry into the temple.
If wearing clothing which has Buddha print on it then the entry into the temple is barred.
Please dress appropriately.

A wonderful temple. Thailand's cultural heritage is as always fascinating and awe-inspiring. The territory of the temple is quite large, it will probably take about one and a half hours to appreciate all the sights. I liked the mosaic structures in the courtyard of the temple and the interior painting of the temples and the variety of statues the most. Well, of course, the statue of the reclining Buddha looks very cool, as well as the painting on his feet. The entrance ticket costs 200 baht, also with the entrance ticket you can get a free bottle of water from the machine.

This is a buddhist temple that has a huge reclining Buddha statue. Make sure you dress properly.
The entrance ticket is THB 200.
Before you enter the temple, the officer will bring you a bag to keep your shoes/sandals.
You can make donation to in the entrance of the temple. The officer will give you some coins and you can put the coin one by one to the bowl around the statue and get the Buddha wise quote in the end.

The Reclining Buddha at Wat Pho is an amazing sight. The figure is 46m long and 15m high, making it the largest reclining Buddha in Thailand. It symbolizes the moment when Buddha entered Nirvana, marking the culmination of all reincarnations.🤩✨All over the temple complex you will see the The 99 Pagodas and numerous Buddhas everywhere. The temple complex is massive so make sure that you don’t miss any buildings or landmarks. Very unforgettable experience for me.

One of the best temples I’ve seen on my trip so far. The 4 pagoda are beautiful and you get to see the giant lying Buddha up close. Gong banging included in price which is 300 baht per person - this is more expensive than advertised but definitely worth it for how large the premises is and how well maintained everything is

Nice temple and near to the grand palace.
You need to wear proper clothes like no shorts, no revealing clothes ( above the knee, tube).
You need to take hat and umbrellas with you as the temperature is very hot and humid.
Advisable also to take extra shirts/clothes because you will sweat a lot and your clothes will get wet in just for few minutes!!!
Anyways, nice to visit when around the area.

The lying Buddha what a spectacular piece of architecture. In and around the area including the royal palace is 60 acres in size omg. Other smaller rooms with many statues of the Buddas era. Lots of history backing to 1800’s. Must place to visit weekday was quiet.. Was getting busier later as we left for the mall.

We reached this place just before closing. The place shuts by 6:30. Because of this reason we got a very peaceful experience with very very little crowds. The budha statue is huge, and the scale can be experienced only in person. It is very hard to understand the scale from a photo. The place has a lot of cats also. This one of my favourite places in Bangkok.

A very beautiful temple with amazing architecture. It is kept clean and entry fee is lesser than grand palace. Entry fee for foreigners is 200 baht. Surrounded by trees and shade so timing you can manage. But have minimum 2 hours to explore it completely.

Probably the only temple you need to visit. It is preferable to start the visit at 9am. Your bus crowds start pouring at 9am and the temple grounds gets very noisy and busy. Not a relaxing experience. The temple visit will take about an hour. Photography is allowed.

This temple is famous for its Reclining Buddha and located near Grand palace so that you may make plan to visit altogether in a same day.
Reclining Buddha is so big that we cannot see it at once and have to see it part by part. There are some spaces inside to view the part of it and you have to make a queue and wait until enjoying or taking pictures of it. I think building for this huge Buddha is so small that it is really crowded (hot as well).
Along with the size of this sculpture, it is also quite unique to enjoy the impressive patterns in his soles. Worth a visit if you visit Grand palace or place near this temple.

It is an interesting place to visit since it is big and stunning with beautiful structures. There are many super adorable cats here as well 🐈⬛🐈
Traditional Thai Massage is available
However it is very hot and full of tourists - big tour groups 🥵 Bring umbrella, fan and water 💦
Some of the tourists do not take off the shoes before entering the temple, as they did not observe the signage. This is frowned upon in Asia but there is no staff to advise them to take off their shoes.

Wat Pho is one of the most amazing temples we have visited. It’s must see. Make sure to bring a bottle water as you will spend hours there. There are tab water around where you can refill your bottle. The gardens around the temples are so beautiful. The inside temples are very calm and serene. We paid around $6 US dollars and it worth every penny.

Great place and so peaceful. Reclining Buddha is so beautiful which not cover in one view because of the pillars between the statue and view.

Beautiful temple, open later than some of the smaller temples (closes 1930). Also known as temple of the reclining Buddha. It's actually a huge complex with multiple ornate buildings and stupas which are lit up at night. Spectacular to see day or night, can walk the grounds after 1700, but most of the buildings will be closed. 300B for entry.
Tanjin R — Google review
This temple, in contrast to the bustling crowds at Wat Arun or The Grand Palace, offers a serene experience with plenty to explore. Personally, I found great enjoyment in my visit here.
The Reclining Buddha’s immense size makes it a challenge to capture the entire statue in a single photo. You can also spend 20 baht to get a cup of coins, and then putting coins into a queue of bowls.
The temple's layout is impressive, featuring four sets of towers positioned in different directions, each comprising four beautifully designed towers. Navigating through these architectural wonders is a visual treat.
Be prepared for a brief wait to enter the main prayer room as there is usually a queue outside. However, the experience inside is worth the wait.
To keep visitors hydrated, there's a convenient free water fountain on the premises. Overall, this temple provides a quieter yet enriching alternative, with its unique attractions and thoughtful amenities making it a delightful stop on your itinerary.

Stunningly beautiful temple! Visited at 8AM, minimal crowds for great photos. Pair with the royal palace or Wat Arun. Entry for foreigners is 300 THB, but worth it. Spend 1-2 hours exploring the grounds and architecture.
Wat Traimit Withayaram Worawihan, also known as the Golden Buddha, is a historic temple in Bangkok. It houses the world's largest solid gold Buddha statue, weighing 5.5 tonnes. The temple dates back to the 13th century and features a gilded exterior and exhibitions. Visitors can learn about the fascinating history of the Golden Buddha at the museum located on the third floor.
This is one of the most important tourist attraction in the city of Bangkok. Tourist from all over the world throng here to see the divine Buddha statue. Its very much calm and serene and there are many souvenir shops outside . Bargain as much as possible to get a good deal. Plenty of Buddha statues are available. A very impressive temple that features the famous Golden Buddha. Purchase a ticket in the stall found just to the left of the temple, then climb the stairs to the top. You’ll be asked to remove your shoes before entering. The interior is ornate and it really is impressive. Photos are allowed but they ask you to refrain from taking any videos. The view over Chinatown is also impressive. After visiting this temple, you can wander the alleyways of Chinatown for hours. Great destination!

Found this while walking around. The main temple was closed because it was pretty late, but the area across the parking lot with the big Buddha was still open. The lady working there taught us how to pray like the Thai. We bought a few things to offer during our prayers which were fairly priced. Honestly, it was a beautiful experience--even without touring the main building. What a wonderful, enriching experience!

With so many beautiful temples in Bangkok if you have to choose a handful this one should be on your list. But to me the best part was the view from the top over Chinatown!
The golden Buddha itself was not so impressive as I was expecting.

I came across this place when I took the bus tour offered by Thailand. The temple is very well built with a huge Buddha statue made of gold. Visitors will need to pay for ticket if wanting to visit inside of the main hall temple. Or else, we can pray & visit the smaller hall outside free of charge.
Even the architecture is Thai, during Lunar New Year, this place is also decorated according to Lunar New Year theme.

Although there was an entry fee, this temple was still something to marvel at. It was cool to see the clean structure and beautiful Buddha statue at the top. Massive golden Buddha. Impressive to see, especially if you're interested in cultural immersion a bit.
There's also a black Buddha nearby, both Buddha are basically facing each other (but the golden one is in a temple)..
Pro-tip: watch some YouTube video's to learn more about Buddhism up front and/or on your way there. I tried figuring out why people would bow and pray to Buddha statues, but not entirely convinced with my findings so far.

Beautiful temple, it gets and stays crowded at least that's how it was when I visited. Great view of the city. They don't allow recordings inside of the temple and keep in mind that they do expect people to dress accordingly, if wearing shorts they need to be below the knees and in the case for women they should have something to cover. Although there were signs and they kept repeating it I didn't see anyone being turned away.

First temple we visited in Thailand, right on the outskirrs of Bangkok. Chinatown, just off of Yaowarat Rd (main street of Chinatown). Beautiful ornate temple, very popular with the locals, housing a very shiny gold Buddha. Good views of the surrounding city from the top.
One of the listed must see temples in Bangkok even if the temple complex is on the smaller side.
Wat Arun Ratchawararam Ratchawaramahawihan, also known as the Temple of Dawn, is a grand Buddhist temple situated on the west side of the Chaophraya River in Thonburi, Bangkok. Its iconic central spire is adorned with intricate tiles and stands out with its colorful and detailed design. The temple's history dates back to King Taksin's restoration in 1768, giving it a significant place in Thai heritage.
This temple is the highlight of Bangkok and maybe Thailand, and rightly so. The site is compact, so during busy tourist hours, it gets very crowded. Better visit early in the morning or just right before sunset as the air is more chill. There aren’t any roof so if it gets rained, then… oh well.
I wish there are more stories about the temple other than just a paragraph or two posted outside the temple.

Cool place. I am very glad that Thailand has such a respectful attitude towards its rich culture. The entire territory of the temple looks very beautiful and well-kept. The skill and imagination of the sculptors amazes me. The entrance ticket costs 100 baht, and also at the entrance, all visitors are given a bottle of water along with the ticket. Wat Arun is absolutely a place you should visit when in Bangkok. I arrived before sunset, around 5 pm, as they close at 6 pm. It’s on Friday. Be ready for crowds if you come around this time. The weather is already not too hot, and the sky displays its prettiest blue and yellow colors. Outside the entrance gate, you'll find many shops that rent traditional clothes for taking pictures, all of them beautiful. The temple has many intricate details. As the sun sets, the sky transitions from orange to pinkish-purple. It’s also recommended to observe this temple during sunset time as it looks majestic.

Wat Arun is a jewel of the architecture so characteristic of Thailand. The temple, according to the luminosity, to appear white and all in embroidery with the many details which decorate it. It's rather extended and it's necessary to think of going on the right of the temple when one is in front of it, there are splendid Buddhas to be discovered and other temples in the complex.
I strongly advise to go there early in the morning because it's quickly taken by many instagrammers who spend hours to be taken in pictures at the same place, making then the taking of picture of the temple complicated ...

This temple can get very touristy as it is very photogenic temple. So ensure to get there early to avoid the crowds. At the entry of the main temple there are many tourist dresses in traditional Thai dress, so at time it get difficult to take pictures on the lawn of the temple.

Love the temple and the overall experience. The temple are actively used so there will be some sections that is forbidden to enter. There's a market here selling Thailand souvenirs like shirts, fridge magnets and key chains. The temple is so magnificent and beautiful, as the restoration was recently completed in 2017. There is also a costume rental for tourists that wants to get photographed in traditional Thai attires.

Incredible architecture. The temples were well maintained and so rich in history. I think they did a great job with ensuring that the temple remains a place of worship for locals yet a place for tourists to experience and learn about their religion, culture and history. Guides are available (might be at a cost). Tickets were 100 baht each.
Tips for visitors,
1. Bring a hat or umbrella - it's really sunny
2. Follow temple rules on proper attire - If you need a long skirt or shawl for covering up, you can borrow one from the temple.
3. Wear easy to slip on and off shoes - you'll be required to take off your footwear to enter the temples
4. At the exit, you can take a boat across the river to visit another famous temple.

This place (can be) crowded. However, this is actually a cool temple. Yes it costs a little to get it, but it's really worth the view. You can pay a little extra and dress up in a period costume for some pictures, however given how crowded it is, be prepared to share your photo with about 5000 of your newest best friends. The steps are very step, be careful! You want to also be aware that, given the amount of people here, you need to watch your wallet. Also some people are more concerned with getting a good photo than they are with their own personal safety, as a result on these steep steps; accidents can happen. There's a gift shop inside, but most of the food and drinks are more expensive than outside.

Although I waited for while to visit Wat Arun, I'm happy that I was able to make time to share my experience with a childhood friend. There is so much to take in here. The ground are quite expansive and the buildings too numerous to list. It is best to look at my photos since a picture is worth a thousand words. We arrived early in the day to avoid the heat since there is not a lot of shade to protect you from the searing sun. There are drinks and ice blocks available to cool give you a respite while waiting for your return boat to your point of departure.

A beautiful and unusual temple, mainly outdoors. A real must see and the traditionally dressed Thai visitors bring some amazing additional colour to the temple. You cannot go to the top but it has so much detail to admire its still a definite place to visit.

Must visit Wat Arun when you are in Bangkok! Entry free cost $200 baht and they close at 6pm. Seeing the temple in person upclose is truly extraordinary and also awe inspiring from afar during sunset when the temple lights up.
Really busy and there are a lot of costume rental stores nearby that you can dress up for $150 baht and hiring a photographer is additional!

Wat Arun, also known as the Temple of Dawn, is a temple that you should not miss. However, I am giving it only a three-star.
Pros:
Wat Arun boasts a striking and iconic structure, best appreciated from the boat as you cross the river. The temple's exterior is adorned with vibrant porcelain tiles and seashells, forming a captivating mosaic that glimmers in the sunlight. The central prang (tower), surrounded by four smaller prangs, stands tall and invites visitors to climb its steep stairs for panoramic views of the river and city.
After you purchased a ticket, they stamp your wrist and give you a complimentary bottle of water, a thoughtful touch that sets Wat Arun apart from other famous sites in Bangkok..
You can also borrow traditional Thai clothes and even hire a professional photographer to help you get the best pics once in Wat Arun.
Cons:
This site is pretty small and it becomes way too crowded once most of the visitors have photographers taking photos for them. It is difficult to enjoy the place if you are constantly reminded by others “not to block the photographer”.
One improvement could be providing more detailed explanations about the temple beyond its physical structure. This would enhance visitors' understanding of the historical and cultural significance of the site.
For those who are not going to hire a photographer, 30-35 minutes may suffice to explore Wat Arun. Despite the drawbacks, the temple's stunning architecture, the unique mosaic, and the opportunity for panoramic views make it a worthwhile visit. Consider visiting during less crowded times to fully appreciate its beauty and historical value.

The famous tourist attraction Sunrise temple.
Free entry.
I suggest more safety precautions such as wearing a safety belt or helmet etc. are required for those who wants to go up to pagoda/prang(very high and very steep stairs) .

One of the lost beautiful places we've been so far, the attention to detail and these buildings is something else. Extremely hot day but well worth it as you nip in and out of different temples and see the amazing sights from thousands of years ago! It almost takes your breath away see how high the buildings are and how steep the steps are, one of our favourite places of the day
James Hinchliffe — Google review
A very famous temple in Bangkok so when you visit you will see a lot of tourists. The pagoda has many tall towers with very steep steps. The highest ancient towers of the pagoda are only accessible on the lower floors, the entrance to the upper floors is locked. Here, many female tourists rent ancient Thai costumes to wear for photos for 300Bath. Entrance fee to visit the temple is 200Bath. Boat ticket from BTS station is 30Bath/way. The worshiping areas are located behind the main pagoda. The architecture of the worship area is beautifully plated with gold. However, the boat waiting area is a bit small and cramped. In Thailand monks are highly respected. On public transportation, monks are always given the highest priority.

MUST GO!! THE best street food ever!!!!!!!!! This was my favourite culinary experience while in Bangkok. Possibly the best street food I've ever had. Highly highly recommend.
We ate a Michelin Bib Gourmand rated kway chup (rolled noodle soup), then picked up goodies from a variety of stalls including: crispy roast pork belly, Chinese glutinous rice sweets, roasted chestnuts, goong dong (soy sauce marinated raw prawns), Issan sausages and watermelon smoothies. Everything was incredibly delicious and fresh.
There are a lot of tourists here but lots of locals too. Prices are super reasonable and the quality of food is great!
Pak Khlong Talat, also known as Bangkok Flower Market, is a bustling and spacious market that offers an extensive variety of flowers, fruits, vegetables, and spices. Open 24 hours a day, the market provides a vibrant sensory experience with its colorful displays and fragrant scents. Visitors can witness locals skillfully preparing sacred temple offerings such as delicate lotus blossoms and fragrant jasmine garlands.
A delight … we brought back hundreds of orchid stems - and huge exotic stems that barely fitted in the cab of Heliconia. Amazing. Notice how many different ways lotus petals can be folded … it’s hectic and intense and you may wish to negotiate prices - but that is part of the experience … we loaded the trunk of a car with orchids … took home many lotus flowers. A memorable moment, one of the florists on the street handed us a lotus flower with a big smile! Welcome !

The flower market of Bangkok is located near to China Town. This is a regular flower market with lots of shops selling flowers and flower arrangements. This is an unorganized place and tourists can easily get lost. May present good photo opportunity from photographers. The market also has few fruit shops and shops for decorative items. It may be quite hot to visit in the afternoon.

A very large flower market with hundreds of flower vendors. Many of which create intricate, hand-woven flowers and arrangements. The hand-weaving of flowers is unlike anything I’ve ever seen at any other flower market in the world. This is definitely worth a visit while in Bangkok!

The place is a floral dream. If you have allergies a nightmare lol. It's a few blocks long and businesses around the same area. The shops have natural Flowers displayed. You can buy arrangements done or just buy the flowers to make them. The market also sells some fruits and vegetables. The place also makes funeral arrangements. All the flowers and arrangements are a good price. orchids are my favorite flowers. I saw so many styles of orchids here. I was happy.
It was so cool to see the people working, and making arrangements. They do it so fast. They also sell this little arrangement to put in the car. They smell good.

2023.9.24 2pm. 🌼flower market. 🚊 public transportation: I exit at the Sanam Chai station of the Metro and walked to the market by 10 minutes. It was the least popular in the afternoon according to locals. I’ll visit there in the evening and bring some flower bouquets and flower pedals back to hotel next time I visit Bangkok. 🌹I recommend to walk around inside and surround the market about 30 minutes and 1 hour. ✅ open hour: 24 hours; the most popular time is midnight when the hawkers ship and buy flower materials; locals like to go there in the evening.

Stroll your way during night time and enjoy not only the wide variety of local flowers, the subtle scent of jasmine, and local delicacies. At the end of the street, you'll find the entrance to Chinatown. This is a busy street so i prefer exploring the area by walking and take your time (maybe buying some discounted but still beautiful flowers) instead of taking the bike tour.

Being close to the temples, it makes it easy to visit it in a trip that includes them too.
Yet I wouldn’t spend so much time in it, due to the lack of variety.
There are some beautiful flowers though not so many different species.
I’d say that 30 minutes is more than enough to immerse yourself inside of it.
In the complex can also be found different kind of vegetables and fruits.
Not a place full of tourists makes it a place with some good local vibes.

I stopped in here before visiting Wat Pho and stayed less than am hour. It’s a very clean open air market with a selection of vegetables and fruit at the back of the building. If you go to Wat Pho after being here you will see that this is a wholesale market and then the smaller shops around the Wat sell this product in the stalls and smaller flower market. Pak Khlong is for buying in bulk although you can find individual bouquets and garlands.

A bit difficult to reach because no BTS or MRT stations are close.
Really a lot of flowers, looks nice!
If you are close to the market it is worth visiting even your are not going to buy flowers, just to watch.
Not very crowded so is comfortable to walk here.
It is not flower market only, there are some other goods are sold as well.

Pak Khlong Talar Bangkok Flower Market is a great place to visit and stop to smell the roses... Stalls and shops up on shops of fresh cut flowers to suit all tastes. Proves vary throughout the market places and the best deals can be had from flowers outside and farthest from the entrances. Roses, lilies, sunflowers, peonies, carnations and more. There are sizes, colors and bunches to fit any budget. Pre-made bouquets are also available to deliver on Grab or Lineman. (Translated by Google) Absolute tourist rip off! Yes, don't fall for it!
We were carted there in the famous TukTuk for 30 baht.
That was the best part of the tour.
A nice salesperson welcomed us and informed us about 3 tours.
We booked the 2 hour tour with 3 stops.
A trip in a longtail boat with a maximum of 7 people was promised.
Okay, got in, the four of us and four more passengers. Set back briefly, then put it back on and invited 3 more people.
Now it started! 5 minutes drive to the other side of the river and then 15 minutes in the blazing sun waiting for the old-fashioned lock.
Finally on the other side we chugged through the Klongs for about 10 minutes before docking at the “Flooting Market”. It consisted of a few stalls and restaurants that were just built normally. It has nothing to do with the floating market!
Then the wild ride continued. We drove 20 meters back and forth on the pier for ages. Then a second longtail boat came and we picked up all the passengers!
We were completely full and sat three in a row.
Then at the Big Budda there was a 20 minute stop, which was just enough to walk there, take a photo and walk back.
Into the overcrowded boat, back to the lock.
The third stop seemed to have been forgotten.
Then there was a stop where two French ladies who started with us were thrown out of the boat. They had actually also booked the 2 hour tour with a return trip.
Then we went back to the other side of the river. At the next opportunity, the four of us were thrown out, about 3 km from our starting point.
Despite discussion, our driver was not willing to take us back to the start of the tour.
Absolute rip-off, don't do it!
One star is still too good!

Absolute Touristen Abzocke!

Asiatique The Riverfront is a unique open-air mall and night market located along the Chao Praya River in Bangkok. It offers stunning views of the river, featuring a 200-foot-tall Ferris wheel and a two-story merry-go-round. This former international trade port has been transformed into a shopping and cultural hub, with boutiques, restaurants, and traditional Thai performances like Muay Thai Live and mini-puppetry shows.
Great place to bring your date. Some nice eateries and boat dining. Unfortunately, many shops are still closed. Plenty of space to stroll around and enjoy the river view. Pretty hard to go by public transport. Best you can do is by taxi.

Generally not bad but I won’t purposefully head there unless I happen to be around the area.
- The place is organised by Warehouses and the map shows what’s in which warehouse.
- There are also cruises leaving from the pier which you can have dinner on.
- There is quite a variety of restaurants there and somewhat a sunset view.
- Interestingly there is a Ferris Wheel and a Haunted House ride if you’re interested in it

One of the beautiful places in Bangkok for evening strollers. This place has the night market, many more restaurants and mainly important piers for the cruises. Definitely place is heavily crowded, however any couple can find this place a romantic one. Free steamers are available from 4pm to 11.30pm to reach that place or vice versa. Lot more happening than any of the places as the cruises check-in desks are located in front of the pier 1. Would say this place is a must visit. One of the best night market for the shopaholic.

Only worth a visit if you have never been here before or just to take night photos of the place when not many people are around
Most restaurants and shops at the front and middle are still closed. There is nothing to do here. The restaurants by the rivers are open, if you are into that river view and music.
The carnival is still open with few customers: the merry-go-round, the haunted mansion, and the Ferry Wheels.

A good place to go in Bangkok. There is no entry fee. I went to see the cabaret show there. The show was good too. The riverfront is very peaceful. I mean if there are not many people there. Else, a good place for a picture.
They have many handicraft shops and restaurants. If you are buying something there, you can definitely negotiate with prices. Many other brands are also there.
Ah! And the Ferris wheel 🎡. It was a good ride. The ticket is for 500 baht. In my opinion, a bit overpriced. But a good experience. I clicked pictures of just this. 😄

There is also a lot of street food dotted around. The attraction itself is well designed with Disney Princess activities as soon as you enter and various other Disney themed activities. We enjoyed it very much and it is free to enter. There are so many shops and food areas to eat at. The riverside dining is also worth checking out if you have time and there is a talk ferris wheel to look over Bangkok on. Worth the drive and the walk to have a look around.

Lovely except for some of the shops. They trapped my companion and technically blocked the exit until they were forced to buy a shawl from them. As much as possible do not enter the shops unless you really want to buy the item and always ask for the price upfront first since a majority don't display their prices and just tell a number. Other than that the place is really lovely.

Very beautiful scenic beauty...you will love the river side ambience. It's amazing for chilling out and spending some quality time with your loved ones. The Chang ride costs 500 Thai baht per person but we did not take that since we already had one at the London eye and felt the same there. There are other activities for kids as well. There is a food court kind of thing that has food from different corners of the world. The costs are decent. There is a flourishing market that has souvenirs, clothes, typical Thai things. A typical tourist spot. It's great to be on the Riverside and watch all of the boats.
There are primarily restaurants and food stalls here, interspersed with "proper shops" and market stalls.
We suspect it was a lot busier pre the virus as there were a lot of empty, or closed, units.
There are also numerous fairground rides and plenty of music in the evening.
Certainly worth a visit and somewhere good to eat

This is a good place to spend a few hours! Lots of food options, we had some great seafood and meat skewers in a small food court in the middle, but there’s also several restaurants. We enjoyed wandering round all the shops and picking up some clothes and souvenirs that are different from the stuff you usually see in the markets. Everything is well signposted so you can get around. We did the haunted mansion (300baht), it was fairly short but it was a ride-on version so you sit on a ride and go round instead of walking which was fun! Would be great for kids. There is also a ferris wheel and river cruises to go up and down the river or have dinner on which seemed good but we didn’t get the chance as we had other plans to get to. Asiatique was clean and well looked after with good clean toilet facilities. A good place to do some shopping if you want something a bit more organised than the local markets, but not as commercial as the shopping malls.

Asiatique The Riverfront wasn't just a shopping and dining experience; it was an adventure for the senses! The lively atmosphere, coupled with the stunning riverside location, made for a truly special evening.
One of the highlights was the incredible variety of food stalls. Forget your typical mall fare! Here, you could embark on a culinary journey through Thailand, with vendors offering everything from fragrant curries and pad thai to more unique and exotic options. IF you Feeling adventurous, you could took the plunge and tried a skewer of crispy crickets. There were even crocodile and other unusual meats on offer.
For those with less adventurous palates, there were still plenty of delicious choices, including some mango sticky rice for dessert – a classic Thai sweet treat.
Wandering through the stalls, the vibrant colors and enticing aromas were a feast for the eyes and nose. It felt like a modern take on a traditional night market, with the added bonus of chic restaurants overlooking the river for those seeking a more upscale dining experience.
While the shops offered a good selection of souvenirs and clothing, it was the food scene that truly stole the show. Asiatique The Riverfront is a must-visit for anyone looking for a unique and delicious way to experience Bangkok's culinary scene. Just come with an open mind and an adventurous spirit – you might just surprise yourself with what you discover!

It is super big shopping mall that encompasses IKEA, Homepro and Harbourland! Harbourland is one side of the building built specially for kids! you want to give reading lesson, chinese language lesson, dance lesson, taekwando lesson for your kids, name it, its all there. and as a muslim, Megabangna has prayer room at upper floor and very convenient, its not noisy, although women and men only separated by partition but having a designated place to pray in non-muslim country is already a privilege. There is no halal food, but there is a pork free (seafood based) restaurant (forgot its name). its at the foodwalk, blue signage restaurant. i like that the mall is very kids friendly, have outdoor playground with sand dunes, water play area with 10cm deep and a swing (on the water!!) for parents to monitor their children. The mall is always clean, lots of bazaar with affordable price, one big C supermarket (of course at Bangkok was bigger), and Megapark! (big outdoor park with sunshineee)
i am so amazed by the design and facilites. if you wish to walk a lot, can come megabangna. from end to end is so far 🤣 definitely will come again with my kids.

We enjoyed this mall. The stream through it was cute. It wasn't overly crowded and had enough stores and food to kill a couple hours in the AC.
When we were in thailand we got a kick out of visiting the malls. They were huge, well designed, and cleaned. Most had soemtbing entertainment wise other than stores.

A huge shopping mall. It is very clean and modern and has an amazing selection of shops as well as lots of places to eat a Cineplex and a supermarket as well. amongst others there is, Ikea, Muji, Adidas, JD, Giordano, Zara, Toms, and lots more.

I was strolling through the mall with my family when we became hungry. So a quick trip to the food cord above us and I have to tell you, it's way to expensive. And the food is not even as good as expected for the price.
I had the Pad Thai with shrimps.
Let me tell you: it was way to spicy (which it shouldn't be in the first place. I have to add that I wasn't the one who put chili in), the noodles where too dry, the shrimps were overcooked and the peanuts totally burnt. A huge disappointment! Stay away from the food there!
At least it was clean, the cleaners were very accurate.

Great mall for affordable middle-class brands, and lots of them. It's a good place to spend a whole day in to get all types of shopping done. It is quite out of the way but it also means it's very local and not a tourist destination.
There's a free shuttle bus at Udom Suk station that takes 20-25 minutes to 2 stops at the mall. To return, get on the bus at Mega Terminal near Big C to get a seat as it most likely will fill up before the next stop.
There are plenty of nice restaurants as well as entertainment for children. Nicely designed with open-air setting.

Enormous shopping mall with great outdoor area that has water features that you wouldn’t expect at a shopping mall.
Was quite easy to get to, but you might have some difficulty getting home if you didn’t bring your own car.
There are long lines for people waiting to get onto the free shuttle bus to Udom Suk BTS Station.
And Taxis get lost trying to find you, since it’s such a big place.

Huge indoor-outdoor shopping area. I was told the largest in the country. You can spend a whole day here, especially if you get lost in IKEA. There are plenty of restaurants and shops and ways to keep the kids entertained. If you like shopping, you'll like it here. McDonalds to BMW and Gucci they have it all. Really well laid out and easy to get around.

A really-really big mall with tons of genuine shops sellings branded stuffs.
Good food court and reasonable too.
They have nearly every store at one place; IKEA, Harbor Land, English language centres, Skill development centres for kids, Home Pro etc.
Can spend a whole day; entertainment, shopping, learning, meeting friends and families etc.

The biggest shopping mall in Bangkok. It's connected to Ikea.
Megabangna is a huge shopping complex. There is an outdoor playing area where visitors often bring their children to play at the water area.
There are many food choices here too. Many branded stores here and a big cinema.

Huge shopping centre with heaps of shopping options.
They do provide a shuttle bus from Udomsuk BTS. Take exit 5 and head down to the street level. You will see an allocated yellow box/bus stop. There aren’t much signs and directions but just make sure you wait at that yellow box.
Shuttle bus does take about 20minutes to come around and seats are extremely limited. The ride took around 15-20minutes.
Other down side is that they don’t provide a shuttle bus service to the airport, which I find is such a waste.
They do provide some lockers for free, a bit cumbersome to use but makes it convenient to walk around. Head to the main entrance where the information counter is, then head down the escalators to the ‘undergound’. The lockers were just round the corner.

The mall is huge. An ideal place for shopping-lovers. You can see most of the famous brands in here. I enjoy walking through the path circling around the center. There are some nice surprise along the way. After You dessert, famous for bread icecream. IKEA with many demos for modern room design. HomePro, for elegant household items. The staffs are nice and supporting, eventhough they dont speak English much.

Imperial World Samrong is a large and busy shopping mall with an array of retail shops, specialty stores, restaurants and a theater. It is easily accessible via the BTS Samrong station, and has many things to do, including many restaurants and shops on the Basement Floor. The Food Court on the 4th Floor offers more food choices than on the Basement Floor, but it can be quite clean. Overall, we had fun visiting Imperial World Samrong!
This multi-level shopping center has many amazing local shops with budget options, and wide selections of products. If your car is dirty- do not worry- there is a car wash in the parking level-3. The Food court in B1 is also an amazing place to fix your hunger.

An amusing shopping mall in a cool Korean Theme during my visit. Easily accessible thru BTS Samrong station. Then walk for few meters via the Sky Way. Plenty of things to do. More food choices than their Food Court on the 4th Floor. Clean. Had fun visiting the place.

The mall itself a bit outdated. But they have many good entertainments on the high floors - rollerblading, skatepark (one of the best for surfskate), table tennis, cinema.
This small and intimate shop next to a floating market in Bangkok offers an array of delectable desserts, ice cream, shaved ice, and savory snacks. Unlike many of the commercialized floating markets in the area, this one is more local with fewer tourists. It's worth spending a couple of hours walking through the vendors and indulging in some delicious local food. Taking a boat ride for half an hour is also not too costly.
This special market along the canal near the temple is opened every day.
A nice retreat from the rush and heat of the city where you can shop some local specialities.
Come on, lets take a break, 😉

The Samut Prakan Crocodile Farm and Zoo is a large zoo that features daring crocodile shows, elephant demonstrations, and animal photo ops. There are over 100,000 crocodiles of various species at the zoo, making it one of the largest in the world. Daily live shows feature trained experts performing fascinating tricks with crocs and elephants. Visitors can also feed crocodiles at enclosures scattered throughout the zoo.
Though this place is a bit rundown compared to the last time I was here 7 years ago, it was still a great place to take my kids to see and even interact with animals.
Foreigners/farang prices to enter are 350 baht for an adult and 250 baht for children. Not sure how much Thai citizens pay but I'm sure its significantly less.
There are baby and adult tigers and monkeys you can hold/feed and take pictures with. My kids fed and took pics with a juvenile tiger and it cost me 200 baht for the set up and the printed pic. They also allow you to take as many pictures with your cell phone as you'd like.
The crocodile wrestling show and elephant show are huge highlights to this park. It's crazy how much implied risk these men take to handle the crocodiles! You can take pics with the crocodiles up close for 200 baht which again included picture taking by the park and as many cell phone pics as you'd like. You can also ride elephants here though the rode is very short (5 minutes maybe?). Adults are 50 baht and children 30 baht. The "driver" stops frequently to allow for pictures along the way which is cool. Just remember to tip him at least 20 baht for his trouble.
There are a bunch of snack stands around the park, but hidden in the middle of the park in a building with no signage is the Hard Croc Cafe. You can eat crocodile in a variety of ways...but my kids and I weren't adventurous enough to do so. We stuck to the regular Thai fare.
The souvenir shop is where you can buy a variety of croc skin or body part items. Wallets, bags, croc head keychains, even taxidermied crocs, can be purchased here. Before you do so please make sure that you are legally able to do so in your home country.

Never expected to come here, not s big fan of zoo, but this place need all the help you can, is a reality there be zoo as much there be curiosity, i never seen animals so close, they look fake.
Tigers, monkeys, and the famous crocodiles show, is worth coming, just make sure to wrap 50 baht with some coins to help this people out, they doing all they can.
Westernes might not get this, but chinese will, there many sings in chinese and some people can speak chinese, so you can come and enjoy, go ride elephant give tip to the elephant too, they need eat a lot, so do the people who take care of them, and i don't see them punishing the beast so is okay. Help this place get better so it grows into a nice place for animals and people.
Make sure you keep your grab driver, or take the blue bus out of here, because taxi are few and far bettewn.

It's an interesting place with a lot of crocodiles. You can see here a cool Crocodile show and so-so elephant show. A good thing about the elephant show is you can take pictures with the elephants. There also a lot of monkies, a few tigers, sheep... It's a pretty old place and it's not very attractive. But there aren't a lot of people and I really like it.

The Samutprakarn Crocodile Farm and Zoo is a crocodile zoo in Samut Prakan Province, Thailand. The park claims to hold the world's largest crocodile in captivity, named Yai, measuring 6 m and weighing 1,114 kg. Yai is one among over 100,000 crocodiles at the farm. The world’s largest crocodile zoo is located 10 kilometres from Bangkok and is dedicated to the education and preservation of animals, especially crocodiles. At the Farm you can also see elephants, tigers, lions, monkeys, horses and hippos. There are daily crocodile shows where performers can be seen doing tricks like putting their heads and arms inside the crocodile’s mouth. You can also enjoy Elephant shows as they walk on tight ropes, ride skateboards and dance.
I was very disappointed in the apparent low quality of care the animals reviewed. It has been a year since I've been so hopefully it has improved.
The Ancient City, also known as Muang Boran in Thai, is a vast outdoor museum that spans 240 acres and is designed to resemble the shape of Thailand. It features over 100 miniature replicas of famous Thai buildings and sites, including temples, palaces, pavilions, and stupas. These replicas are meticulously placed in geographic precision to their real counterparts. The museum offers visitors the opportunity to explore historical sites up close and gain insights into Thai history through these accurate representations.
This is certainly a must for anyone visiting or living in Thailand. The Ancient City is the largest outdoor museum in the world, preserving Siamese true heritage. The Ancient City allows both foreign and Thai nationals to appreciate the history of Thailand. There are 121 sites, some are reconstructed on a scale of about 1 in 3 while others are as big as the original. One can hire a bicycle, an electric bike or even a golf cart to travel around the plus/minus 200 acres. If you have your own car, you can enter the city at a fee.

Massive museum park with stunning architecture! Make sure to set aside a whole day if you want to get the full experience. The self-drive mini-cart is the best way to get around IMO. There are also bikes for rent if you want to burn calories while exploring the park. The guided tours are great but only stop at a few locations. Overall, one of the best experiences in Bangkok for architecture and history buffs. As a bonus, You will also get to see some local wildlife around the park.

Lovely experience. The temples and shrines are beautifully done to the smallest level of detail. I recommend renting a buggy and each person having a personal umbrella to cover from the sun. Don't forget your sun block and drink plenty of water. Took us a good 1 hour to drive through the entire park and made around 3-4 stops to experience the temple. You can easily spend half a day there but the heat was unforgiving at the time.

Although the ticket is a bit expensive, it’s worth to go.
We drove in the place by adding 400b more for the car. It’s convenient and nice. There are also other choices like golf cab or bike which are also good. We stayed there for about 4 hours but definitely can be longer if you are not tired.
The maintenance is quite good. So you can really enjoy some good views. Snack counters and toilets are sufficient. Toilets are clean and with proper papers.
Overall, it’s a good experience.

Very big and around 10km in total. You can easily spend whole day here if you want to explore and visit all the attractions.
Important:
1.Bring extra clothes as you will sweat a lot (free sauna).
2.Bring extra socks also as you need to remove your shoes/slippers when you enter the temples.
3.Take the golf car not the bike because it’s very hot and sunny, or else you will get grilled easily.
4. Bring hat, cap, umbrella and folding fans to protect yourself from the super hot weather.
5.Buy tickets online as it is way cheaper.
You can buy food and water inside so no worries.
Better to get there earlier so you will enjoy and no photo bombers.

One of the largest outdoor museums in the world, constructed by Lek Viriyaphant. The site is set over a large area and features some beautiful reproductions of some of Thailand’s iconic and mythical buildings that you are free to explore at your leisure.
It takes around 2 hours to traverse the park by golf cart, which I highly recommend for shade and comfort as it makes the experience more enjoyable and offers relief from the sun.
Quick tip: book your tickets online as it is half price. They will.l not always inform you of this when purchasing tickets on the door. We bought them online while at the park gate and they were available immediately.

Great halfway trip from Bangkok. Very easy to reach. Take the green line to Keha and jump on one of the pick-up taxis waiting at the station (they are marked with a 36 on the roof). The ride to the Ancient City costs 10 Baht. Once at the entrance, tickets are 700 Baht (400 if you have a Thai work permit or driver's license; there seem to be discounted tickets available online as well so that's worth checking out). You can rent an e-bike for 250 Baht (3h, every additional hour costs an extra 100 Baht but 3h is doable even with a coffee break). The park is massive and very well taken care of. Was there on a slightly cloudy Saturday, perfect weather for some sightseeing, still there were very few people in the park. There are small coffee shops and toilets at every corner, super convenient. Lots of great photo stops, history and Thai culture to be explored. Cruising around on an e-bike is great fun. There's a lot to see and only two of the sites were inaccessible due to maintenance work. Once you're done, bring back the scooter and cross the main street via foot bridge on your left so you can wave down one of the pick-up taxis (again, 10 Baht, marked with a 36 on the roof). A great and fun getaway from the city!

The park area is very large, so I recommend taking a golf cart to move around it. We took many beautiful photos. However, it seemed to us that everything looked very artificial and a little toy-like. The park's disadvantage is the lack of greenery and the fact that all buildings are made hastily from cheap materials. Also, many objects are under reconstruction. We spent 3 hours in the park and didn't see everything. We were advised to book tickets in advance to get a discount on the price.
Despite some drawbacks, Ancient Siam is a great place for photo shoots. We took many beautiful photos and enjoyed visiting the park. If you are looking for a place for bright and memorable photos, this place is definitely worth a visit.

Amazing place!
You can learn a lot of most of the wonders of Thailand in just one Park and very very affordable price (even if you buy the package including a nice Thai buffet lunch). Be aware to come early since it will take you long to see all the the scenes in this park (more or less 10 km). You can find gardens, statues, temples, recreations of monumental buildings, real elephants and other animals, restaurants, a museum, and even a small Thai farm-village.

Do not miss this place. Its about an hour away from the city centre but can travel easily by the hreen line metro and shuttle no 36. This place has more than 100 monuments, from across Thailand. Some are conceptual as well. We didn't take any golf car or bus, but would recommend it, especially if you are visiting during the summer time. However, not taking the bus would mean more time at every site and no rush. There's also a restaurant inside, which serves buffet. For a better deal, buy your tickets in advance on Klook and its better to include the buffet. The place is huge so even if there are visitors, there's no crowd.

Absolutely enjoyed it. Get the choice to rent a bicycle or a driver at the entrance. The service is already included in the ticket admission. We went for the bikes as we want to be more flexible when it comes to stopping and taking it in as opposed to having to be considered for other people. Also, it was a good exercise and the breeze was very enjoyable. The park itself is huge! So many beautiful things to see. Pagodas, temples, statues, gardens, ruins, boats, etc. The lost goes on and on. We were the only ones in the massive park when we arrived at around 10:30am. Nobody, but workers that helped maintaining the place, did we meet, which kind of felt like a VIP experience but on the downside, the park and the people are depending on the tickets so we hope that there will be a surge of tourists or more locals soon. COVID really made it a lonely experience since restaurants towards the center or the other end of the park were not even operating. The people deserve to be imbursed for their hard work and need it more than ever now!

The park is huge and the buildings are dizzying. The scenic spot provides golf carts, electric motorcycles, bicycles, and of course you can drive your own car. Personal recommendation, if there are few people, I recommend electric motorcycles, and if there are many people, choose golf carts. The entire scenic spot is still under construction, and each building is imitated very realistically. Every building wants to stay in the camera, which is suitable for playing all day. If there are some scenic spots in the park, you can check in here, and the effect is almost the same.

Perfect place to explore Thai culture. Accessible by BTS. I recommend borrowing a traditional costume (directly in the park) and then your pictures will be absolutely awesome. We had an amazing half day there. Park offers a lot of visitor facilities, and you don't need to bring anything with you.

Quite touristy, many of the temples are not originals and are either replicas or built with some "creative liberty". A very fun place to go and ride around, but expect tourist fun, not an authentic Thai experience.
Definitely get your tickets off of klook! It's much cheaper. And get a golf cart if you can, not many of the temples are worth going in but it's very fun to ride around the outside. The complex is huge so it would be very difficult to walk. Fun, but manage your expectations.

Ancient City has been regarded as one of the largest open-air museums in the world. Visitors can see many significant places in Thailand, for example, castles, palaces, temples, and sculptures. Some are models, but some are the originals that were taken from certain places. The exhibitions in the Ancient City are divided according to regions for visitors to enjoy and appreciate the core of the multi-faceted culture. The experience gives the impression of traveling the whole country within a day.

This place was awesome! We did not have enough time in 2 hours to go through the whole city. If you have the whole day, you could skip the golf cart rental and walk the entire place. If you need to finish in a certain amount of time, then rent a cart and park on the areas that are designated for the carts and walk portions of the city or just drive through and stop at the main sights. Please note that there are a good number of places that require shoes off to enter and some areas where no photos can be taken.

It's a really cool place! I wouldn't add it to the main attraction list when I am short of time in Thailand. It's more of a nice to have type of thing.A variety of temple representation from across Thailand. Make sure you buy your tickets online to save some money. The golf cart makes it even better it adds so much more to the experience. You can also find elephanta there.I think there are only 4-5 sightings worth visiting the rest you can drive past them. I strongly feel that the exhibitions themselves need to be maintained a bit more thoroughly. The rest of the park is really clean and well maintained. The staff is great and really helpful. Had a great time there.

This is a gorgeously designed and beautifully maintained representation of Thailand. They have segments of native structures and depict different stories across history. A definite must visit if you're in Thailand. Traditional music and food is available throughout. Since the coverage is so much, they have a train tour or you can take in your car or rent a gold buggy/ bicycle to move around. It's better to book the tickets online. When you head to the online booking counter, they hand you a map for easy guidance

This is a very beautiful place. Definitely a tourist trap, but a worthwhile one. Don't make the mistake of thinking the e-bikes would be fun...get a golf cart!!! They do not exchange or refund even after only a few minutes. E-bikes are not comfortable at all!!! We wasted quite a bit of money, but were much happier in the golf cart.

Awesome display of Thai culture. Added benefit we found elephants. We fed the elephants but did not ride. Also bikes and golf carts to get around. So big we could never walk every where 1 day. Also, they are very honest. Made a mistake on my credit card that I did not catch. They actually sent someone to find us to get issue fixed. Not many places would do that. I gave 5 stars for each point made above. The staff and attraction were Awesome. Highly recommend.

This attraction ranks among the finest I have experienced. From the architecturally stunning buildings and statues to the serene water features, every aspect is impeccably organized. The staff also contribute to the exceptional quality of the visit. Given the expansive nature of the area, I highly recommend utilizing a golf cart or an electric vehicle for navigation. Attempting to explore this vast space solely on foot could be quite challenging.

Definitely not a place you can easily walk through due to its massive size; transportation is a must! Unfortunately, bringing your own bike inside is not an option, but there are convenient rental choices available. The facility offers numerous restrooms and eat stations scattered throughout, with a buffet entry fee of 280 baht.
The attractions themselves are impressive, providing opportunities for great photos. Additionally, there's an option to rent traditional costumes for a more enjoyable experience. I appreciate their unique approach, as the exhibits are far from being too simple or generic; I’d say that there's a nice touch to every detail. Not every attraction is a must-see, after spending about half your time there, you'll likely grasp the overall concept and can enjoy the beauty from a distance as you drive through. There are certain areas where long clothes are necessary to cover your legs, but you can just borrow it.
4ish hrs is sufficient to explore the main attractions, drive through the entire area and take occasional breaks at the eateries. Might be different for a big family though, which is different from my experience.
