Really beautiful and well preserved old gate of the city. Sadly, it was closed to the public to access walking on the wall because of a festival. Hope to do this on my next visit.

Rue Saint-Louis, Québec City, Quebec G1R 3Z7, Canada
Neo-romanesque building with stone sculptures & wood carvings, plus guided tours & a religious shop.
Simply spectacular. It is a half hour drive east of Quebec City, but well worth the trip. The ceiling tells the life story of St. Anne from one end to the other. I visited here about 48 years ago. Sadly, they had to remove most of the canes and crutches from the pillars because of Covid - too many people wanted to touch them, so that profound impression is lessened. But the sanctuary, and the chapel downstairs are just beautiful.

Beautiful location with super 👌 beautiful basilica, no words for inside architectural design and outside has unique design. We had so much fun walking around the cyclorama. Public washrooms were also available, I recommend traveler's to add this beautiful basilica in their bucket lists. A must visit this beautiful church ⛪️ in Quebec.

This is a must visit place if you’re in the area! We drove to this place from Quebec old city twice! We were so captivated by the area. There are amazing stories and art associated with this place. Definitely worth reading about them as you’re walking through the sanctuary and admire the place.

This is an incredible and beautiful cathedral! Well worth a visit to take in all the exquisite architecture and beautiful detailed artistic workmanship throughout the interior design. (we visited in August on a bit of a rainy day) From the many mosaics, stained glass, carvings, and marble accents to the incredible gorgeous bronze interior front doors! So peaceful and calming and healing. Powerful experience ❤️

This is a must place to visit in Quebec. The church is located in a very scenic location. Very beautiful, huge solemn church. Very memorable and miraculous for us couple. There is a public toilet outside… Interior architectural design is amazing as well. The St. Lawrence river is awesome. You can find some restaurants and fast food shops along the road. We really enjoyed driving here.

Beautiful sanctuary. The interior and exterior of this structure make it a iconic spot to visit. The architectural design is truly mesmerizing. The beautiful mosiac art and its sculptures are truly worth it. It is well maintained inside and outside. Overall, a beautiful place to visit with family or by yourself. It was a great experience for my family and I and its worth experiencing some time in your life.

An architecture masterpiece well worth the visit. Beautiful mosaic work and art. Also be sure to check out the chapel downstairs and sculptures outside the main building.

Absolutely beautiful church outside of Quebec City. The church is considered a pilgrimage site, dedicated to St Anne, Mary the mother of Jesus' mother. The interior decoration and architecture is fantastic. Unfortunately, we witnessed a house on fire directly across the street during our visit. If you happen to take the time to go here be sure to check out the basement as well. Very beautiful. Follow for more...

This has got to be one of the most beautiful churches I have ever seen. I am surprised there is no entry fee here while they charge a fee to see notre dame in Montreal which in my opinion is not as amazing as this basilica.
Incredible architecture and the mosaic work is simply beautiful.
Very impressive and a must see place on Quebec.

A beautiful cathedral worth the visit. Lots of toilets and an area to buy souvenirs. Be sure to visit the basement for an extra surprise!

Amazing place . Church is well maintained and peaceful. The facilities are well-maintained, and the worship services are conducted with reverence and enthusiasm. The music and worship team's performances are heartfelt and moving, contributing to the overall sense of reverence and connection.
The church is a welcoming and spiritually enriching place that offers a blend of tradition and contemporary thought, fosters a strong sense of community, and actively contributes to the betterment of society. Whether you're seeking a place of worship, personal growth, or meaningful connections, this church is undoubtedly a remarkable choice.

This church is extremely beautiful to see, both from outside and inside, with delicate and well-planned sections that are easy to miss.
There are multiple layers of religious depictions. On the outermost layer inside church, Old Testament figures are shown. Then the next layer shows the stations of the cross. Then on the pillars around church are scenes from the life of Christ; the carved details on the pillars are magnificent (see pics)!
Then on the top of church is chronological art of St Anne’s life from her birth (starting from back left when facing altar), circling around the church, ending with death of St Anne (at back right side). Using Google translate helped make sense of what’s written in French :).
The four corner pillars in front of the altar are carvings of the 4 Gospel writers, commonly seen in Catholic and Orthodox churches.
Presented in this way, I interpreted it as showing the OT prophets who prefigured Christ (at outer layer) and Anne who indirectly influenced Christ (at very top), as those who surrounded and played an integral role in Christ’s life (as seen in center and middle of church).
The outside area of the church are also beautiful to walk around; plus, don’t miss the chapels downstairs. Additionally, the golden door on the outside include integrate details of Scripture scenes. Well worth the visit!
The church opened my eyes to a historical figure often overlooked. The mother of Christ, Mary, is who she is due to the influence of her parents, Anne and Joachim. Anne’s background and upbringing of Mary brings to light her influence on the mother Mary.
It’s worth noting that on the top of the altar are three figures in middle, Mary, Christ, and Anne. Those on the side of Christ depicts the immense influence of these two women!

Most amazing church in Canada!
Started building in 1658 and has taken almost 200 years to finalize the build. Architecture and build quality is truly outstanding!

This is a must see in the Quebec City area. It is a massive Romanesque basilica built on a site with a lot of history. The only problem is that it is quite a way out from city center. I recommend taking the Unitour bus tour.

Glorious basilica outside of Quebec city. It's totally worth the visit.
Beautiful inside and outside.
Didn't have to pay to visit.
Underground chapel is pretty, but the main nave is a must-see.

Incredible church. Serene and stunning architecture. Lots of parking space. They also offer free tours.
The facilities are well maintained. It's a definite visit if you are stopping at Old Quebec city. There is some construction going on in front but this doesn't impact the glory of this church.
The Laurentian Mountains, one of the world's most ancient ranges, can be found in a nature reserve where visitors can enjoy hiking and biking trails. The Mont Tremblant National Park features well-maintained paths and amenities such as dry toilets at the start of hikes. Visitors are provided with informative instructions about the condition of the trails by park officials. The area is widely appreciated by many for its natural beauty and scenic views.

Dramatic canyon with suspension-bridge trails, waterfalls, rappelling & zip lining.
A beautiful natural canyon for hiking and family activities. This is an enclosed area of the river with many waterfalls and beautiful hiking trails.
There is a charge of $16 for adult to get in. If you want to have an areal view of the canyon, you can pay an extra $10 to ride an open cable car to get up to the hill. I prefer walk to get close encounter with nature.
There are suspended bridges and lookout areas to see the waterfalls and the streams. Some lookouts are more challenging in getting there.
The leaves are starting change creating a beautiful scenery in the canyon.
Get down to the lowest point of lookout, you will be able to get a photo of the whole canyon waterfall. But prepare to do some climbing of stairs. So ware some comfortable cloths and a good pit hiking shoes.

Gorgeous views from the walk. The story at each view point kept my kids entertained. My 3 year old actually walked the whole way round including the 187 steps. There is a ride that shoots you across the canyon that looks fun. My kids were too small and husband scared of heights. Dogs are allowed. Some cool suspension bridges too. Clean well maintained public toilets and a play structure for kids. Shop and a Cafe but we didn't go into Cafe.

It was a nice walk down the Canyon over nicely built bridges and sometimes paved walkways. Lots of sitting areas for a picnic, right by the river or in covered areas in case it rains. It was like catered hiking that was well marked and maintained. Lots of space and many great picturesque locations on platforms right by the river overlooking the falls.

WOW. This place is gorgeous. My partner and I had such a fun time exploring it. Took us about 2 hours to go through the whole thing. They have a trail for kids too, which has interactive stories as well as some games. The falls was phenomenal. We ended up going on the air canyon thing, it was nerve racking but so worth it. The view you get is worth every penny. We did buy our tickets in advance but not sure the benefits as we still waited in line to get registered and what not. Could have easily just bought them there! The staff was also really friendly :)

Amazing place to visit. It's about 45 mins from Quebec City, it's not too far. It's an incredible gift from Nature. The view in autumn is just stunning. There are a lot of visitors from Asia. Just look at my pictures, you will fall in love with this place 😍🍁
It's not the best place for a kids troller. Better to let them walk and run by themselves.. there is a fence all the way, so there is no danger at all.
Véronique Fortin — Google review
July 2021 an amazing destination that's worth the visit. At a cost of approximately $23 per adult and $17 per child with the cost of going on the zip line, this is well worth the visit. Parking is free. The zip line itself only lasts about 10 seconds and if you go early, there's a short line. The zip line stops just above the canyon at about 10 storeys high for a brief moment while you take in the scenery. The park is well maintained. Stairs have handrails and pathways are paved with gravel or asphalt. Lots of suspension bridges and a path that leads you around the canyon and past multiple bridges and look out points. Front entrance has washrooms, a picnic area, and a small playground for the younger kids. A great stop to past by. Your looking to spend about 2 to 2.5+ hours. If you need to wait at the zip line, add another 30 mins. Plan 3.5 hours if you plan to take things slow.

A beautiful place with nice natural walk while observing the waterfall. Did the air zip line and it was fun. But had to wait in line for more than 30 minutes to get to my turn. It’s worth visiting for sure.
Lidia Lee — Google review
This is a fantastic place for a walk and to explore the natural beauty of the canyon. It's not a difficult walk, but there are a decent number of stairs. There are also several suspension bridges over the water, so just be aware if that's something that makes you nervous. None are rickety or sway too much, and they all feel very stable.
The views are amazing and there are many lookouts that are great spots for photos, or just to admire the natural scenery. There are also plenty of signs to provide information on the area for those who are interested.
At the entrance there is a restaurant and gift shop, as well as bathrooms. There aren't bathrooms anywhere else in the park so use them at the start before you head out. There are also picnic tables available under the trees if you'd like to bring your own lunch/snacks.
You can get to the bottom of the canyon and back in an hour or so, but if you like a slower pace to take in the sights and read the signs, plan for this to be a morning or afternoon activity.
Definitely worth the visit. If you like the outdoors, you won't be disappointed.

This is my second time coming here in 4 years. I live this place. Nature hiking with a bit of stairs at its finest. There are 2 ways to go. 1 way is the wheelchair accessible and the other loads of stairs. Brought my doggo and he loved every bit of it. There's water bowls for your doggie every couple hundred meters. Defo recommended this spot to any nature enthusiasts

Canyon Sainte-Anne was one of my favourite stops during my trip to Canada - it had breathtaking waterfalls, awe inspiring views and an adventure zip line that is not to be missed. Our trip lasted about 3 and half hours and this included a leisurely stroll across the canyon; the air canyon and a bite to eat at the ample picnic benches provided. Added to this the gift shop was excellent and everything (including the entrance and air canyon) was very reasonably priced and you’ve got a great day trip.
We arrived early and had the place pretty much to ourselves but noted that by lunchtime that tour buses were arriving and so for the best photographs I’d maybe suggest arriving at one of the less busy times but whenever you go you’ll have a fabulous time

Not for people who are scared of hight ! ! Entrance is 14 if you are visiting the park and 25 is you will take the air canyon. Beautiful hanging bridges and look outs. The last bridge has 187 stairs so be aware. The whole trip takes 1:30 max. The aircanyon is scary . I recommend to visit!

Best zoo ever. You have lots of proximity to the animals.
You have a good variety of animals.
One thing that is great at Miller Zoo is that you can see they care about the animals. They look healthy. One example is the tiger. He has the most beautiful fur I have seen from any zoo around the world.
Great job to the managers and employees.
This is alwats great to go because it is evolving from year to year.

Had an amazing time at the Miller Zoo. The animals were beautiful and each of them have their own history and personality. They feed animals in front of you and give you a lot of facts about the species. There’s a restaurant and a food truck. We came from Montreal and weren’t disappointed at all. I’ll go back for sure. I recommend !

It was an excellent activity for the day. The kids loved it and there were a large variety of animals. The food was really good as well and both the park and the restaurant were reasonably priced. It was a bit of a drive but it was scenic. the only thing I would have liked to have seen was to have the information cards throughout the park be in both French and English and not just French. Loved it though

We love Miller Zoo! It’s a great place to spend the day. The site is enormous. There is a multitude of animals. There are picnic tables scattered throughout the site if you want to pack a lunch. There is also a restaurant on site and food trucks parked at the entrance if you’d rather purchase your food. There’s a playground for the kids. A gift shop to browse. And the staff is polite and knowledgeable! Our favourite part is the tiger feeding hour. Definitely worth the drive to visit!

Great place! The animals seemed really well treated, the park was clean and the staff friendly.
Some extra shade for visitors would be nice in extremely sunny conditions and the toilets on the reserve side were less than ideal but otherwise it was a great experience.

It's still a work in progress but it is good to have a zoo in the area. There are portable toilets for public use. There is also a food truck on site. There are plenty of picnic tables in the shade but I do recommend that you get there early so that you can park close otherwise you may have to ride a shuttle bus to get there.
Vi James — Google review
Great parc with lots of animals to see and wonder around in their habitats. The cast (most part) seems to enjoy their work and specially those sharing stories of the animals arrival, history or fun facts (those of bears are always interesting). Most animals are in good shapes, with space to hide from you when i imagine they had enough of being seen 🤭... yet a great experience for kids and adults. You get a “food court” at the entrance, parking and reste area.
Khalel Leconte — Google review
My favorite zoo. From one month to the next there are constant modifications and upgrades to make the animals enclosures bigger and better. You can feel that they are here to help and the animals not just to bring in the tourists and that is ok with me. We visit like 5 times a year.
Catherine Manitius — Google review
Very friendly, welcoming zoo with close contact with nature
Went there with a friend, had barely heard about which is a shame, the place is great! Price is very very fair, the animal variety is nice and during winter you can go in the enclosures!
Would definitely recommend, but bring a pic-nic! They do have a small gift shop with chocolate bars and drinks but nothing else
Very family friendly, nice "home-made" feel and the animals are adorable and they look comfortable
Mαrc EC — Google review
I would give it a 1.5 star if I could. It is unfortunately far from the city and incredibly unorganized. You show up and end up in this massive field to wait for over an hour for a shuttle to bring you to the zoo, where you have to wait in line again to buy your ticket, since you can’t buy anything online. The total wait to even get in the zoo was over 2.5hrs and we still showed up decently early. It was so crowded and difficult to see anything or walk anywhere. Almost no COVID regulation was followed, even by the staff members. I overheard a staff member saying that there was over 5000 visitors that day, on a weekday.
The enclosures look like they barely make the minimum requirements for the animals. We only saw one animal being rehabilitated. Many enclosures are under renovations or empty. Unclear signs as to where the animals are or which animals are in what enclosures.
The only feeding time we were waiting for was for the lion one, with about 200 other people. Turns out we waited for no reason because there was another lion enclosure and all of us were at the incorrect one. They should be the times written on the enclosures for clarity.
The only thing I did enjoy was the little monkey in the attached photo. We completed the park on under 1.5-2hrs and left incredibly disappointed. On the way back we took the little shuttle that did not take us to our parking field, but to another shuttle that then took us to our car. To be clear, we waited almost 30 minutes for that shuttle.
Overall, the Miller Zoo looks like it’s a zoo that got big too quickly and it couldn’t keep up. Watching it on TV will be a much more enjoyable experience and a chance to actually see some animals. With the price we pay to go to the zoo, hopefully they will put it to good use.

Mountain resort for skiing & snowboarding, with river views & trails for summertime hiking & biking.
Lots of great runs and the view can't be beat. The food at the cafeteria was decent. We also did the luge run and it was fantastic. You need to book in advance but it was well worth it. We snowshoed and it was beautiful. But the catski option would be good too.

Le Massif is an amazing place to ski/snowboard! We spent 3 beautiful days skiing over Ontario March break (different timing then Quebec March break) and Wow! No lineups for anything in 3 days, food, tickets and most importantly lifts were all ready to serve.
Tonnes of well groomed trails and skill levels to choose from. We stayed at a Hillside Chalet beside the trail at the top of the hill to ski in-ski out from and it was worth it. Saved time, parking and food, meant longer ski days! Gorgeous view of the St. Lawrence river from every run and lodging, this place… it’s definitely a must.
Standard food prices and lift tickets were on par for a big hill but I believe they limit the amount of tickets available to control crowd size on the hill. Tickets(card) was reloadable on line to again save time.
Well planned, well laid out, very worth while!
There is a Club Med at the base of the mountain for the all inclusive crowd.
They also have mountain biking in the summer and a chairlift Light show that’s worth checking out from the looks of it.
Great job Massif!
Not great pics from my old phone but gives you an idea.

Very nice slopes, and it would have been better with more snow. Although not all trails were open over the holiday break in Dec 2021, it was still a great skiing experience. Would surely come back to see if Le Massive staff warmed up to the ClubMed members (may be it's just us but sensed a little hint of attitude there).

I tried the new Le vol d'oiseau mécanique from the top of the mountain. You need to reserve in advance and the price is on the expansive side. You start with a walk down with small lanterns. Then, you take a chair lift down that goes quite fast. During this walk and chair lift there is little animation (music or light show-wise). Then you take the chair lift up, and that's when you get beautiful light shows and music.
Audrey Deschênes-Renaud — Google review
This place is a gem. Amazing views. No lift lines in late December. The infrastructure seemed pretty fresh (gondola, high speed quads, even the T-bar-type lift were all new-ish and worked well). The ticket RFID scanners at the lifts were nice and efficient. The food in the lodge was expensive but surprisingly healthy/good food. Zero fries/burger/hot dog/etc. It was almost shocking how there was no junk food. I think adding some basics for kids (with kid portions and prices) would have been nice. Overall a great place, we’ll be back.
Mike Lovas — Google review
Not recommend for first time skier. The green is challenging as it has mixed terrains.
Other then that, it’s fabulous place to ski. The view along with the way make everything so worthwhile.
By the way, try their sledding, it has a lot of fun for both kids (age 10 above) and adults.
Jessica Zhang — Google review
We went for 'Le Vol de l'Oiseau mécanique ', the light show at night time. You spend a good time on the chair lifts in complete darkness. So, if you are afraid of heights, it's not for you, but if you are in for a challenge, do it. There is also some walking in gravel and some spots it's an uphill hike. So if you have any health problems like asthma, be aware. Bring a warm windbreaker with a hoodie, even a hat, because it gets really windy and cold. I also recommend some gloves because the chair lift bars get cold. All in all, I loved my experience!

A worthy stop on your L'Isle-aux-Coudres adventure. We didn't stay long, but really enjoyed the history and products in their store which include ciders of course and many jams, teas, etc. One thing especially fun was the unique items available, including Saskatoon Berry products. Having family in Saskatchewan, we're used to only seeing them at home and never realized that Saskatoons were available anywhere out of province (well except maybe for parts of Alberta, and maybe Manitoba?). Living in Ontario now, this was cool to see. Apparently they grow them locally, they aren't imported! A recommended stop.

Maison du Bootlegger is a lively steakhouse located in an 1860s house that offers guided tours and live rock & roll shows. The restaurant provides a unique experience, taking visitors back to the Prohibition era with its mysterious house and labyrinth. It serves mouthwatering dishes, including the best steak in town, along with wine and beer. Guests can also enjoy live entertainment and guided tours of the historic house.
If you are up for a fun and informative experience go to the Bootlegger for a tour, dinner and a show. Wonderful and attentive servers, great food and stay for the band/dancing. The tour is fascinating. If you are in the area and up for a fun night just go and prepare for a party.

The steak itself was okey, nothing mind blowing, especially for the price. The salad, dessert and the mocktail were pretty good tho.
The house was interesting to visit.

Good bits: The tour, the price of beverages (DD is a must because someone will be driving!) and the energy of wait staff (they have to yell because the atmosphere is very loud). The bad bits: The steak was tough and very salty, corn on cob (soggy and cold) tasted like canned corn, potato was dry/over-baked yet barely hand-warm. Arrived at six, salad plate came around 7:30 then the main at 8:45.

We had an amazing time!!! You really really need to go here!!! Everything, from the drinks to the appetizers to the main course to the desert... entertainment and tour of the house! I'm in awe!!! Splurge on the baby back ribs!! Like DO NOT PASS the opportunity to savor the best, fall off the bone, tasty, home cooked, heavenly Baby back ribs!!!! I had the venison and am sooooo picky on the freshness and cooking time. It was perfect 🥰 like melt in my mouth perfect!! Desert was yummy and my French kiss and night cap crowned everything perfectly 🥰 💞

Be warned. If you call and make a reservation SPECIFY that you want a table for two of that is the case. There are not many. A part of their experience is sitting you at a table with 8 other people. Not fun. And when you say you dont want to be squished up against people you dont know for supper, its like you insult them. Our waitress told is THIS ISN’T a MIKE’s RESTAURANT. I actually like Mike’s but ok. We waited for the tour but it takes time. Got it. We got there at 1800, got our salad at 1930, main meal at 2000. People were getting hungry. My wife liked her surf and turf, my ribs were very dry (overcooked) and two other tables also sent back the meat to get reheated? Why? Because they take everyone order at the same time. Yes, plates will be cold and potentially overcooking. Allowing to sit to long. Anyway, we paid, did not wait for dessert or tour and just left. If you go with a bunch of people im sure its a lot of fun. Waited all week for this awesome bbq style restaurant. Left mad and disappointed..
UPDATE SINCE RESPONSE FROM BOOTLEGGER - Thank you for the response. You say that sometimes things don't go the way they should? Thank you for admitting there were problems. But, I still had to pay 240$ (with tip). Quite frustrating. Thank you

The place and atmosphere was s great but the food not so much and let's not talk about the service... Very bad.
It took them 45 minutes to prepare and serve 2 burgers. It wasn't even good. They definitely have a management issue, very slow and innefective.

Very unique experience of being in a place that was actually used to serve alcohol during prohibition. Excellent tour (en francais) of the hidden rooms. Fantastic steak and a fun band and show after dinner. Elvis and JFK have been there too. Oh, this was the first time I have seen booze as a dessert option on a prix fixe menu.

Still one of our favorite art galleries. It had been several years since our last visit. The staff are super welcoming and very knowledgeable about their artists. Always a pleasure and a feast for the eyes as you walk through the gallery.

We had such an amazing experience at this gallery. I can’t say enough good things about it. The artwork was of amazing quality and a huge selection. The owner was extremely nice, helpful and of a great kindness. In fact, all the staff was like that. My wife and I purchased a piece and promised ourselves to come back for more. To the owner, un grand merci pour votre temps, gentillesse et franchise. Vos histoires et connaissances des pièces étaient super et très apprécié. Strongly recommended for all.

Finest museum from LA Malbaie to Baie Saint-Paul in our opinion. The Trebay family not only exhibits amazing works in 15 rooms; their fabulous China collection sits on shelves above the paintings. Hard to extract ourselves from this gallery...spent 3 hours.

THANK YOU for the wonderful tour of your gallery on Saturday. My husband and I, and also my mother-in-law said it was our most favourite event of our weekend in La Malbaie -- even better than whale watching and a tour of Jardins de Quatre-Vents! Its small and i would love regular blackjack tables. They have the regular BJ at virtual tables but its not the same experience.

Not what it once was: The place is crammed with tacky slot machines, the Bar ambiance is trending downward since the renovations and overall the experience now feels very artificial and rigid with games like roulette and such now being Electronic.

Spent a few days at this amazing property in August. The hotel is breathtaking, both inside and the outer grounds. You can really feel all the history of this place (and read about it all through the hallways and lobby). Great location, right next to the casino. Had a bit of a windfall this year, so decided to try my luck :) Only negative I would say is that the hi roller area is not as big or developed as the other casinos in Quebec. But overall great place!

A casino with 2 floor levels. Main floor has more games where as the lower level is more quiet. There is a St Hubert BBQ restaurant on site, so you can play the slots/ have something to eat/and then play the slots again. A great place to pass some time especially if you have your hotel within walking distance.

Wandered around the grounds for a while trying to suck in some of that philanthropic ambience....I felt it, and went inside. There's a lot of poker machines and I'm a frugal kind of gambler. The treasury department suggests "Gamble Responsibly"....and I do, but when it comes to drinkin'!!%??
I had a couple of beers and lunch, the young lady at the bar was very courteous, helpful and kind.

Cute casino, not very large but has all you need, at least if your not a big player. Went a Saturday evening when google said it was very busy but still had an easy time finding a spot to park in the 6$ covered section. They have slot machines for all tastes. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Small casino, but entertaining nonetheless! There's two areas to park, one is covered and paid ($6) and the others are a bit of a walk and free. There is a ton of slot machines, but not many games tables (blackjack, roulette, craps). There seemed to be a lot of people present for a Sunday evening, but we managed to find a spot. Won a whole $3, covered half the price of parking ;)

I regret to report that my experience at this casino was significantly marred by the behavior of the staff. Rather than displaying the cordiality and professionalism that one would expect from a reputable establishment, the employees were unapproachable, rude, and demonstrated favoritism towards their regular patrons. Disturbingly, I observed instances where they instructed paying customers to vacate their table in favor of their preferred clients, especially in the roulette section. Such conduct is wholly unacceptable and creates an atmosphere that is not conducive to an enjoyable gambling experience. As a result, I left the premises feeling disheartened and disappointed, with no desire to return to this particular casino. I would advise potential customers to carefully consider their options before visiting this establishment, as the inhospitable and disrespectful conduct of the staff detracts significantly from any potential enjoyment that the casino might offer.

Went for the L'aigle hike. Based on one angry review I read here before, I expected a challenge. In reality, the only person not being able to do this trail is someone in a wheelchair. In other words, it really wasn't hard.
We rented a kajayk and paddled down the steam to see otters and beavers. Despite being very basic, the kajayk did it's job. And we got to see one otter!
Staff very friendly!

We did one of the hikes, part of which was along a waterfall, breathtaking and otherwise quiet and serene! I can't wait to come back here to hike again. I was interested in doing the tree top trekking but it's quite expensive.

Thrilling experience! Had lots of fun and it was my first time ever at climbing.
Guides were not very helpful. This isn't a beginners activity and very hard without a guide at some points. Im in good physical shape, but I didn't know anything about climbing and guides did not explain well enough so my fingers were in lots of pain after. I got more help, explenations and instructions from other climbers. Careful with the knees when you go down, don't rush!
Bring gloves that protect well the fingers, I found it's a must. Mosquito repellent and a tiny bag of snacks and water (I had a huge backpack and it was not fun).

Apart from one trail (Sylvain) that could be considered beginners beware thd rest are extremely demanding. Having done thd Eagle (Aigle) with my wife, cousins and dog on top of being caught in the pouring rain. These other trails are for very well seasoned trail enthusiasts. We gad to climb over big boulders over running streams! Beware if you get hurt because terrain is so rugged that you will most probably lifted œuf by helicopter. On top of it all, you expect those at the welcome center to know their trails well. That was not the case. We were told by an employee that there were some steeper inclines and then the descent was slow. We found out at the end when we returned that she had never done the trail!!! 😱

Beautiful scenery all around, with beautiful sights once you reach the observation points. The expert side is recommended for the hiking start point since it is rough and would be a bit risky on the down side. In addition, this is a great mountain with a rocky side (this portion is for climbers only). Easily expect 4 hours for the loop hike.

Amazing experience! We did the via ferrata, suspension bridge, abseiling and zip lining. Each activity was excellent, we had a blast! The guides were excellent, making the experience super fun and the right amount of safe and challenging, no matter your comfort and fitness level. I like indoor rock climbing and this allowed me to feel like I was really getting a great outdoor climbing experience, requiring no specialized equipment on my part! (Of note: The guides spoke English great, luckily for me and my limited French.) Shout out to Charles and Miguel - both were awesome! Definitely would recommend to a friend!

A place to relax in long route. Nothing special. Clean rest room.
1:30pm Zodiac 16 October 2022. Chose a beautiful day. We saw 5 different types of whales inc Belugas which is why I came. We saw a humpback whale breach (jump fully out of the water) right next to the boat. It was really amazing.
I love how respectful the naturalist was to have a system of people standing and sitting. While also her English was really great. The narration was mostly French but appreciated the English. The naturalist also said we were very lucky to have so many wildlife encounters and that this was the best tour all year. And for the last few weeks they found a humpback whale and would just follow it on dull cloudy days.
I was hesitant to spend the $115 inc tax on the tour but I believe it’s really worth it even if we hadn’t seen any animals. They don’t have a prediction on what is out there. The animals are wild. But I appreciate their patience as they indulged me on these questions.
They said on the water it was -15 degrees and to dress appropriately. Im glad I did, but the wind is still very cold. They provide waterproof shells too, jackets and bottom. No shoes. I didn’t get wet at all, but maybe that was the sea-conditions for the day. Had a lovely chicken soup afterwards to warm up.
Take precautions if you get seasick! I did and still felt a little sick as I’m sensitive. Enjoy the tour folks!

I'd never thought I'd be able to see whales on my first ever trip, the stories of going thru the 2 hour trip and not being able to see one whale was repeated to me several times...but this September of 2021 was the biggest sightings of whales on record.
No matter where I looked, there was whales everywhere. Would definitely recommend everyone to try this out.

We love our tour. The guide was very knowledgeable and she answered all our questions. We were lucky and we were able to watch the whales.

Overall a disappointment. Seems like anything that gets commercialized and full of tourists at that point is overrated. Also way overpriced. Look for whales from the shoreline and spend your money on another type of experience. A walk along the shore, a kayak trip in a secluded place or a bike ride along a quiet road.
Joseph Connor — Google review
This is a professional company. It was easy to book online. There was no confusion between what we had booked and the office. The boat is large and has enough space for everyone. The guide was excellent and knowledgeable. We did see the backs of several whales. We were under dressed for the weather so recommend bringing warmer clothes.
Dave Klassen — Google review
We did see whales, and that was cool, but if you are a non-French speaker, expect to be treated with little regard if not outright disdain. We could not get the time of day for anyone to explain to us how lunch worked, whale facts, or how to get ready to board the boat in English without pulling major teeth. We took a bus from Quebec, and they stopped and told people to buy food. I had reserved lunch online and asked when we would get it. They said at the boat dock. We got to the dock, and they said hurry get your gear and prepare to board. They had someone going around trying to convince people not to go on zodiac ( it was October and cold). I asked what was dangerous/risks and got blank stares. We decided to stay with zodiac as we were fully suited in wet gear/seemed relatively safe. We get on the boat, and the captain is speaking for minutes in French, and we are getting like one sentence in English that is basically non information. They start hitting massive waves as soon as we are on the water and cold water is soaking my hands/feet/going in hood. I moved to another seat because I realize now that I need to fight hypothermia/frost bite for next 2 hours and try to stay dry as the wet suit is clearly not enough. At another dock, the captain is speaking French again and comes to the side of the boat and starts pointing at me and yelling in french.i say "I'm sorry?" And she yells at me in English at that point to "move to your original seat as I said before" (in french I'm guessing) , scolding me like a child. Of course I complied when I understood her, but it was odd to be treated like a kid on a school trip when I paid 200 dollars to be there and I was clearly trying to practice survival instincts! From there the captain would only say positional where to look for whales, but all extra info was in french only. Not a big deal but not super hospitable either. When we got back we were starving and I inquired again on lunch. They said and I quote. "Bad news, no lunch". No sorry but we got a number to call to get the refund. That was a long bus ride home. Whales were worth it, but we were treated like scum for that much money.

Really incredible team. The check in people were very friendly and advised us on safety and general guidelines. We bought tickets online for the zodiac tour.
The navigator/sailor was amazing. He asked us if we wanted to chance it at seeing a blue whale and we did!!
We saw every single specie of whale on the St Lawrence and he even let us stay a couple of minutes longer to see the tails of the whales as they turned.
Great team, great experience.

What a wonderful experience! Our tour guide Agatha was wonderful in explaining everything in English and letting us know where the whales were and basic information about them. She said from the start that seeing whales isn’t guaranteed, and we ended up seeing at least 12 whales and one that came so close to our ship :-)))) well worth the money and the lovely sceneries. Captain was patient and took his time and waited in a lot of spots to make it able for us to see as much of sea life as possible. Would def go with AML from lovely Tadoussac again!
Wafaa OG — Google review
The staff is professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. I have done the zodiac cruise many times. I most recently did this today. Sometimes I was lucky and saw a humpback breach. But other times, I only saw minkes, belugas, seals, and the tail of a humpback. While this is still cool, it is nowhere near as exciting as seeing a humpback breach.
You have to manage your expectations and expect that you will not see a breaching humpback. The other whales are not as exciting to observe. You only see their fins for a brief moment.
Based on my experiences, I would say that you might have a 20% chance of seeing breaching humpbacks. The other 80% of the time this excursion might feel a little pricey for what you get.
I love humpback whales but it can be frustrating when you drive a long distance, book a hotel, and end up being disappointed. You might have to invest a lot of time and money to get a great experience.
This is not a complaint against the staff as they are great. It is just an attempt to manage expectations with these types of excursions.

It's very small and it's all in French. I wasn't aware that there was an English pamphlet available until after I left the place and read the reviews. That would have been nice to know. There are many whale skeletons hanging from the ceiling. However, I couldn't find where it told what species each skeleton was. If you speak English and not French, it's probably worth the money if you can get your hands on the English pamphlet.

We visited this center on July 14. There is parking at the center. It's not free, the parking is from the city. Our visit started with two short movies about the belugas. Afterwards you could ask questions and the biologist responded. Skeletons of mammals hang from the ceiling in the main hall of the center. You can read the history of those animals on a screen.

Nestled right next to the marina, this wealth of knowledge stays true to its name. If you’re into whales this is the place to be. You should get a free ticket to this place with your whale watching cruise so don’t miss this!

Islet Point Hiking Trail at Tadousaac is very beautiful with stunning sunset views. The trail is easy and well maintained along with benches to rest at some points within the trail. It is very famous for whale watching and we saw many humpback whales and a less beluga whales. After watching so many whales show here, we dropped our idea to take a whale’s watching cruise, since it was very expensive and we were satisfied with whale watching from this point. We just need to spend some hours here to enjoy it during sunset time specially. Whale watching at this point along with sunset view was just mesmerizing. We also spotted a seal but couldn’t capture it camera. I have attached many humpback whales videos, one video also has a beluga whale and breathing sunset view video as well that we saw. We would love to go there again for whale watching and sunset. Best and guaranteed time for whale watching is around sunset, plane to visit this point there before and after an hour of sunset. Before this hiking trail starts there is one flushed washroom facility available. It was well maintained. It was dog friendly trail, we saw many pets with other tourists.

Wonderful short walk to see the Saguenay River. It was so beautiful.
We went twice....once around 4.30 pm and were able to see beluga whales. They were far and could see them by eye but we were fortunate to have our binoculars with us for a better view.
We went again the next day at 10 a.m. and didn't see any whales but you didn't need to as the scenery at low tide was just breathtaking.
They have it so you are all supposed to enter in in one side and have one way flow but you encounter people who don't read the signs and go the opposite direction. It is spacious so it is not a worry.

We got off a whale watching tour and started the trail close to the pier! It is a beautiful trail that goes along the St Lawrence River and loops around on a combination of boardwalks with stairs and large rock faces to the Saguenay River. The Saguenay River feeds into the St Lawrence at the point of the trail. I loved sitting at the point and enjoying the birds and a minke whale. I also enjoyed seeing the ferries cross the river!

There was sufficient parking for those wanting to leave their vehicles behind. As well as two places where you could purchase food while waiting for the ferry. Nice views of St. Lawrence too.

Good ferry service, many near attractions, if possible reach at least 2 hours before the given time, to check places, and to click pictures, otherwise half hour before is fine.
Take your snack with you from your vehicle(good to bring your own munchkins) as once leave, you're not allowed to go into your vehicle. They also take care of your pets, if you have any. It'll take near about 70 minutes to reach Saint Siméon.
Lost one star as you're bounded in deck and can't take pictures of outside.

“I’m on a BOAT!” -The Lonely Island
Love taking the ferry across le fleuve Saint-Laurent.
Service is timely, with only a few minutes delay, if anything at all. Boat is spacious and relatively clean, all things considered.
An hour and a half is more than enough time to get a spot in line, an hour is more realistic. Anything less than 30 mins you risk having to wait for the next ferry.
James Smith — Google review
On their website, it says to arrive 1h30 before departures.
We were running little late so came 30min before departure. We were still able to take the one that we wanted to.
Service is very friendly, washroom is somewhat clean. Everyone seems to be wearing masks (Covid) but one lady wasn’t!! Maybe an attendant should be moving around to check if every passengers are following the rules!

Lovely ferry ride. There was a single woman working at the restaurant and she was unbelievably rude and unprofessional with their attitude. My partner and I ordered fried clams, wings, and a single pepsi (cost 26$). We waited 50 minutes before asking for an update (as we noticed we were about to dock). She gave my partner a look and proceeded to make fun of her in front of other patrons sitting at the bar (my partner doesn't speak French, but I do...). When I finally intervened, she tried giving me a 10$ bill (too close to shore to eat) until i was noticeably frustrated, then she gave us a 20$ (understandable but not a proper refund). We ultimately paid 6$ for terrible service and a pepsi.... Would only use ferry for transport in the future.

Plan ahead it’s first come first serve . And for electric cars it is free . Nice ferry .
MATHEW KAVUNKAL EASO — Google review
Okay. It's rated 3 stars... The ferrie service itself is great. But damn is it not chaotic when it's busy.
It's impossible to plan ahead, since it's on a first come first serve basis. On a busy Sunday, we arrived 1h hour to the midday ferrie, and it was full, Infact, there was already half a lineup for the following evening ferry which was then a 3.5h wait.
We made a beach day out of it and it was nice. Just be prepared to have delays due to unexpected travels.
A booking system would be a great bonus , atleast one where you can book the previous day as it opens.

The park has multiple trails. There is falls which water come from dam. Nice view from below the falls and also from the top, at the look out. Parking is free, no admission fee to the park. Washroom is available in the park. Nice place for hiking, and take pictures. Recommended.

Nice place for a quick visit and for long walking trails as well! Great view of the waterfalls from the bridge. You can also walk on a bridge above the waterfalls. Free parking on different levels! Very accessible, right in the city!

This was a nice stop to look at some falls that crash down very close to you. Slightly smaller than Grand Falls, NB and Chutes Montmorency but definitely nice for pictures.
This was a path through and glad I did. Kids and family were available for lots of pictures on a sunny day.

Over ten kilometres of woodland trails along the river and through a heritage orchard, all just steps from downtown. There's a 33-metre waterfall and old power generating station, still in operation, a visit is definitely a must. There's a parking lot close by, and you can get across the river using a bridge.

Great place for hiking, a few routes to choose from. I tried green route this time due to limited time, about 50 minutes. The sign says red route is 95 minutes. Next time I would love to try it and see what other sceneries it brings.

Hidden gem off the highway. We've been looking for a good halfway point for road trips to the Maritimes, and Rivière du Loup is going to be it, I think! This park is beautiful, with many great walking trails (dog friendly) and a really fun parkour gym / low ropes course hidden away in the centre of the park. Highly recommended!

Absolutely breathtaking hike. It’s not very big. We hiked for like 4-5 kms but they have great things on the way like apple trees, free bars for exercise and more. The falls itself are heavenly. Must visit this hidden gem 🥰

The falls were not running because they directed the water to the generator due to lack of water. Sad because we made a special stop for this. The area is beautiful nonetheless w trails and touristy parts as well. It seems people ice climb in the winter which would be fun to see! A lost housepet (bunny) randomly showed up on my adventure 😊! Chutes were still impressive and the generator info area was very interesting!

It was really special that we took the ferry at 4:30am. We saw the moon goes down and sunrise from the sea! It's stunning 😍😍😍 And it's intertesting that the ferry plays "Here Comes The Sun" By Beetles when sunrise from the sea level! Wonderful experience ever! Definitely highly recommended !

The ferry was built 1973, and already showing her age, crossing is smooth, vehicles are parked tight to each other, you'll be able to spot some whales during the crossing. Good experience.

Great bistro inside for a very reasonable price. Breakfast options, as well as snacks. They also sell kombucha, hot beverages and alcohol. I would suggest getting out of the car rapidly as there is minimal seat availability inside when the weather is not so great.

First of all, it's a beautiful ferry ride across the St. Lawrence and there is a chance to see whales!!! The ferry is clean and comfortable. It's also a convenient way to cross the St. Lawrence and a somewhat unique activity! Highly recommend!! Also, this company has 5* customer service! I had a reservation and my car broke down, literally right before I was supposed to load. They so kindly changed the ticket not once but twice for me, free of charge due to the extenuating circumstances. I'm so grateful for their assistance and look forward to crossing with them again in the future.

Didn't have a reservation but there's a standby lane and if there are any cancellations, they let you in! Trois-Pistoles staff were friendly, nice & knowledgable. Onboard staff is also great, they make tasty ham & cheese paninis. Washrooms on ferry are clean & there's definitely enough room to sit, but most seats were empty as everyone was outside hoping to see a whale. No whales on my crossing, but saw a few dolphins! Great first time crossing experience! Worth every penny.

Forested national park on Lake Témiscouata featuring hiking, biking, boating & wildlife.
Pretty nice park and campground! Stayed a few nights in the ready-to-camp tents. I’ve never been glamping before but I have to say it was pretty nice having all the amenities, especially since it got pretty cold at night. The campground itself is big enough that you still feel a little privacy and all the facilities and everything are very well maintained. And then of course the nature was beautiful. This was definitely not peak camping season, but I get a feeling this sepaq is a bit quieter than the rest, given that it’s a bit off the beaten path. Also the staff are super friendly!

Pretty nature park and well-equipped campground. Be aware it's a long drive off the road into the park itself. We were on a roadtrip and stopped here for 1 night, in future I probably wouldn't stay here as it added a longer detour than I anticipated.

1. Be aware Google maps MAY lead you to the wrong entrance. It originally led us to an atv path and not the actual entrance. We met another set of campers at this entrance who were also misled
2. Most staff do not speak English. I find this disappointing as a "National" park should (in my opinion) have bilingual staff to welcome both English & French speaking visitors. This is the main reason why we only gave 3 stars. The park is BEAUTIFUL but due to language barriers we couldn't participate or enjoy any of the programming
3. The new Curiosity Trail for kids is a 750m natural play space with a zipline, wall-climbing, rope-course & more! (Pictures) Every national & provincial park should develop similar play and learning spaces for kids.
4. There are NO laundry services on site. You must exit the park & visit a private campsite in Squatec to do laundry.
5. There is a beautiful long beach with a very wide and shallow shore for kids to play safely in! The water is cool along the shore but warms up quick!
6. Many long & beautiful hiking trails.
DISCLAIMER: As a Haudenosaunee I find it difficult to endorse any of the national parks. They are indeed beautiful to look at. But the white-washing & erasure of Indigenous peoples is quite honestly disgusting.
Here at Témiscouata-sur-le-Lac there are several references to "Grey Owl" and his environmental work... Using the name "Grey Owl" to reference this WHITE man leads visitors to believe he is Indigenous, which he is not. He was a fraud who used First Nations culture to further his career. Continuing to reference him as "Grey Owl" and not by his actual name Archibald is a deliberate act to fool visitors into thinking Indigenous peoples/voices are included at Témiscouata-sur-le-Lac

Beautiful park with nice trails for hiking and cycling. We stopped here for 2 days to cycle the trails. We are anglophones so understanding written and spoken French. It was extremely difficult to find any park staff would could understand or answer our inquiries effectively. Signage can be very confusing as it is only in French. It made it challenging to find our way around the trails. The trails are beautiful and we’ll maintained. There are large cycling loops where you can use a ferry (at a cost).

Absolutely stunning in the fall when everything is golden fire. The relatively easy hikes make for leisurely strolls where you can relish the crisp air and crunchy leaves of autumn. While not the biggest or most spectacular parc in the region, this quite possibly might be my favourite one.

I’ve been to many botanical gardens & this is one of my favourites! It has gorgeous flowers, yes, but the way art & sculptures were positioned throughout was what made it unique! They had a buffalo sculpture that made real buffalo sounds & snorted & water came out of it’s nose. They had a gardener sculpture that talked & had water coming out of his watering can! They also had chickens in a chicken coop. A great stop for families!

Visited for the Grande Grouille while on a road trip in Canada. Booked tickets online but had to put in the zip code of the hotel we were staying at, as it needed either a US or Canadian code and we're from the UK. Despite being overcast, it was still a good evening and fairly warm for an October evening. The displays were ok tomstart off but it turns out that they really look completely different when it's dark. The pumpkins all carved in their hundreds must have taken so much effort for everyone to do and they looked fabulous all lit.
I'd love to see the park in full bloom in Summer, so may have to arrange another visit.

I first thought the price for entry was a little steep at $20 per adult after tax, but when you see how much there is and how vast the gardens are, it starts to sound like a deal. Be sure you reference the map often because there are quite a few things that you have to walk off the actual pathways to see, like the beehive area, natural trail, and flowery brook. If you're lucky, you might find a heron chilling in the water!
The shade garden is particularly nice on a hot sunny day. Flowers have different blooming seasons so it's hard to go when everything is visible. When we went, most everything except the roses were out in full force (Early August)

Visitors can also take advantage of the information center for snacks and rest breaks. The town itself is charming with friendly locals and a zipline course for the adventurous. While some may mistake the water's brown color as pollution, it actually comes from sediment stirred up by flowing tides during heavy rain.

Grand Falls (French: Grand-Sault) is a town in northwestern New Brunswick, Canada, on the Saint John River.
Its name comes from a waterfall created by a series of rock ledges over which the river drops 23 metres (75 ft).

On our visit to New Brunswick we stopped over at the the Grand falls gorge. The place has lovely views of the falls which is different during each season. Since we visited during the summers we sadly couldn't view the gushing water falls at its peak as the water level was low. However there were great view points along the falls. There are lovely walking trails, a park and camping grounds along the place.

Great place to stop while visiting New Brunswick. This little town is known for its waterfall as well as its friendly charm . This rest stop has a great view of the park and falls as well as a zipline course if you dare .
You might see the water is brown on occasion which some people say is toxic pollution. Actually the colour comes from the flowing tides that flow over the mud flats during heavy rain . It agitates the sediment, suspending it in the water. The sediment never gets the chance to fully settle, resulting in a beautiful, nutrient-rich, chocolate brown color...so no folks it's not sewage. As a hydrologist I can assure you the water is natural and will be crystal clear again by late fall .

Beautiful attraction. Historic bridge must-see. It has been there since 1899. Cute town. Walking across the entire length on the walkway while you can see vehicles passing by and back where you park. Souvenir at the gift store. .
Please remember that when you drive, you have to wait until other vehicles drive first because ONE LANE is narrow. It happened to us, we had to reverse and let other vehicles on the bridge. Or you will end up feeling stuck or narrow your vehicle to other vehicles, like New York. What an embarrassment!
Worthwhile to see. Kids enjoyed...

I can't say this is the most interesting thing I've ever seen but it's cool. This is the world's longest covered bridge. When I arrived, I could walk up to it but not drive through it as there was new asphalt out down nearby which for obvious reasons stopped cars from going through it. Hartland Covered Bridge was designated a national historic site of Canada because this structure is the longest covered bridge extant in the world.
The heritage value of this site resides in its design and physical fabric. The structure, 390.75 metres long, is believed to be by far the longest covered bridge extant in the world. Covered bridges date from the first decade of the 19th century when North American buildings began using wooden trusses for long spans and covered them to prevent the truss joins from rotting. After 1840 the Howe truss, which introduced iron tension rods into the truss work, was widely adopted and New Brunswick erected numerous bridges using this technique, among them this one, built in 1921 with a walkway added in 1943.

The McAdam train station is amazing. Steeped in interesting history and beautifully restored (the first floor), this is one place you need to check out.
Each year in November the community hosts a week long "Christmas at the Station" event. Volunteers decorate rooms, Christmas music is piped in and the feeling of good cheer is rich.
In the late Spring to late Fall you can stop by for a guided tour with local hosts who really know their stuff. Shout out to Emily and Sam!
Also don't miss the beautiful 3 KM trail around the pond out back of the station. It's incredible. It's accessible all year although it can get very muddy in early Spring.

We came here to check out the historic station. When we entered the building, we were asked if we were there for the pie. Huh? We had no idea what they were talking about, but we soon found out that on Sundays they serve pie at the lunch counter while a man dressed as a conductor gives a talk on the history of the train station. We ordered two slices of pie, but both pieces were so large, we could only share the one and saved the other for later. We got the coconut cream pie, which was delicious, but they have others. Also, we were too late for the talk, but with pie, it costs $15 each to attend. Without the talk, it is $10 per piece of pie. I recommend that you buy one piece and share it unless you're VERY hungry.

Great service and the young man that did the tour was very knowledgeable.

What a great experience a must do . Love what they are, doing with the Old Train station. The tour was great the tour guide was engaging and fun. Only disappointment was that the wood carving of the train conductor rotted out fell over. Only thing that would of made it better was a train going by maybe next time lol.

Went up to the McAdam Train Station for a craft sale...we walked the 2.8 km walking trail...you might want some bug spray...lots of places to sit on benches and enjoy the view and take pictures around the train station pond...it is a wood path so watch your step over roots and rocks...I was in flip flops no problem...there was a lunch of ham and cheese sandwhiches tea or coffee and homemade cookies for dessert for $5.50...there is a gift shop where I purchased a recipe book on the pies that use to be served at the Station. Also a train engine for my grandson..there are guided tours available...a lot of history is tied up at the Station

I enjoyed every minute of the tour. Our guide was excellent. She gave us a wonderful history lesson on McAdam and its beautiful train station.

Like this place very much! Want to be back and to spend more time to read everything that I didn't have time to read having children with us.
Wish they can have some events in the restaurant and train rides to the different cities.

We biked to McAdam and on a whim decided to do the tour of the train station. What a lovely tour. The staff was knowledgeable. They are constantly improving and saving this important historic landmark. Well worth a visit.
What a massive axe! My family and I enjoyed taking photos and walking the great trails around the area that led to the waterfront. It is a beautiful area with lots of trees and I feel the pea gravel path would be wheelchair accessible. Although it was too early for flowers , I could see that there are lovely flower beds and flowering trees planted around the Axe area. Great spot for a picnic 😀 There is no admission to this site , what a bonus for families out for a drive wanting to see an interesting attraction. For those interested in boating, there is a docking area near bye.

We stopped here as a rest from a long drive. Very nice and big park with plenty to do. There was a rental place if you would like to go bicyle in the water :). There are many fields/terrain (basketball, tennis, baseball, football...), also many picnic tables, a not very wide beach but long (not sure if anybody actually swims here, but you can walk or just sit and contemplate the nature and its sound). It is a pretty big place. Kids can play around. You can have a nice walk. Ah!! and the LARGEST AXE is cool :).

While travelling from New Brunswick to Ontario we decided to get off the highway to see a bit of more of our beautiful country.
That’s how we came to see the World’s Largest Axe! It is indeed very big!!! The grounds on which it sits are very well taken care of.
There are also paths, benches, and tables to sit at to enjoy the gorgeous views over the lake.

Nackawic is a very small town in NB and apart from nature, there's almost nothing else to see or do. That being said, ostensibly they have the world's largest axe. Now, I have not personally verified this claim, but I took a picture of it upon my visit =)
BTW, the view of the river from this place is quite relaxing. I spent a half hour having a meatball sub and watching the river and the forest beyond. I felt really live and free!

Very nice place for walking and just watching the day go by. There’s ample parking as well.

If you go to Canada and don't go and see the world's largest axe, you missed the best part of the trip. We recommend to go here early in the morning when the honorable Axeman Jeremy Woodchuck comes and polishes the axe between 8 am and 8:30 am every day rain or shine. This is spectacular! Thank you Jeremy!

We visited this as a break on a road trip and it was a really nice place. The axe is indeed pretty big yet not to the level of "holy cow". The well maintained flower beds and view of the lovely river do make it a very fine whole. Worth a stop if you pass on the nearby highway, but in my view not so unique that it would in itself be the main goal of a trip.
Ample parking on the site and lovely view of the river. There is a nice new cabin nearby where you can buy refreshments, rent a kayak, or go to the washroom (which was spotlessly clean). A bit further is also a covered sitting area with a few benches and a small playground aimed at kids from two to six. One detail: the floor of the playground is covered with little pebbles. We jave seen this on other playgrounds in New Brunswick and personally I will never understand how anyone could think that this softens the fall of a child. Should be changed to woodchip, sand, or rubber mats. After all, the wood industry is what the axe means to honour... (Our nine-year old got a really bad cut in his knee after falling on exactly such a pebble ground cover at another site). All in all a good place to stop for half an hour (unless of course you rent a canoe or kayak in which case you can spend a happy half day here).

Amazing park surrounding the axe - looks like there are a variety of water activities as well (was there early may so weather not ideal for water sports). The axe was really accessible for pictures and walking around.

It's worth every minute. Not far off the highway. 9 minutes. Beautiful park on the shore of St. John River. Highly recommended. Very kid friendly.

A really nice place for a pitstop. I finally went to see the axe. It's there to represent the importance of the forestry industry in the town and New Brunswick.
A fitting monument for a big industrial sector here that's surrounded by a nice sized park on the water. You could spend half a day here or just 30 minutes and it would be worth the short drive.

The park is on the southern side of the gorgeous Saint John River. The park has walking trails, trash bins and other amenities. Extremely well kept grounds. Very much a family oriented location. I almost forgot; there is a boat launch for smaller vessels as well.

Beautiful spot to stop for a break, or to explore. Who wouldn't want to see the Worlds Largest Axe?!
Surrounding grounds offer playgrounds for children, kayak rentals, ice cream shop, grocery store across the street, all surrounded by the beautiful St.John River. Be aware there is a small chance of leaches in the water.
Kings Landing in New Brunswick is a living history museum that showcases 19th-century structures, artifacts, and workshops. The attraction features costumed actors who pretend to belong to the era of mid-1800s, giving visitors a glimpse into the lifestyle of that time. With its water-wheel-propelled sawmill and King's Inn restaurant serving good food, it's worth paying $22 for entry.
Nice place showing history and lifestyle. Unique thing is every house or farm has staff pretending to belong to the era of mid 1800s. Given so much staff, the $22 entry fee looks justified.
Attraction: The water wheel propelled saw mill is awesome, showing the complexity of technology of the times.
The food is also good at kings inn restaurant. However there may be a wait list, so get yourself on the list asap and then roam around.

Wow, what a great discovery. Why have I never seen any advertising about them in the area ? Well, it was a great experience. Yesterday, it was too hot to cook anything so we didn't experience that. That's sad. They have a military discount that offer 5 entry with a military ID. What a great idea !!! There is nothing like this here ! The food was great at the restaurant but too much expensive, in my opinion.

A very well done heritage village! The staff are all speaking & working in their period time & don’t come r out of character too easily! Missed only a few details due to staff on lunch. Particularity liked the main horse handler & the sawmill guys - full of humour & stories!

This is a very very nice place for a quick 1-2 hours cultural visit to see what life was like back in the days. King's landing has definitely wowed me more than once during my visit. The waterwheel and the Black Smith are the must see if you plan on visiting there. Enjoy and have fun!

It was a nice stop on our way home from PEI. The buildings and settings are beautiful. The actors take their roles very seriously and really add to the feeling of visiting an earlier time in our country's history. We stopped for lunch at the Inn, and had an amazing turkey pot pie.

I had visited a handful of times as a child (and always loved it) but today was the best visit so far! Bringing my own children to see King's Landing added a whole new level of enjoyment. Staff/actors were so wonderful and engaging, the buildings were so beautifully preserved and presented and the joy of watching my kids run from place to place to was priceless! Can't wait to bring them back!

This was very interesting. We wandered down into town and took the horse and carriages back. Spent 4 hours including our picnic and saw most of it. Very few people there…maybe because it was so hot that day. We enjoyed talking with the costumed interpreters.

What a fantastic place to learn and enjoy some beautiful scenery. It was so cool to see so many of the staff/actors genuinely making things and doing the work of the period; they were all friendly and knowledgeable from the women spinning flax thread to the genuine blacksmith. Riding in the horse drawn wagon was definitely a highlight for the young kids.

I was first here maybe 30 years ago, and I only came back today. Still enormously impressed. Everything has an air of authenticity that you seldom find in these kinds of sites. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful, and also quite knowledgeable. They take the time to deal with any questions you might have. It is a large site with lots to see. Perhaps the best thing about it is that it is self paced. You can decide for yourself how fast and where you want to go.

A journey to the early settlement, and has live attractions like horse- wagons ride, can meet, greet and capture photos with villagers in their homes, places of work, in the fields. The beautiful location is in the banks of Saint John river and there are view points to capture nature.

If you would like to live a day from the old centuries, and get to know the daily life of people who enjoyed this life, then Visit Kings Landing.
It has been established and maintained to reflect the culture of old centuries and its lifestyle.
Staff are awesome, very welcoming, helpful, always smiling and guide everyone.
Enjoy the horse wagons ride. They have an old fashioned restaurant and bar, authentic printing shop.
I loved one of their house where they display the dried herbs inside one room and called it medicine room, as they use these herbs as medications whenever they are sick.
It’s such a wonderful place deserve a visit.
