Best stops along Galveston to Atlanta drive
The top stops along the way from Galveston to Atlanta (with short detours) are The National WWII Museum, French Quarter, and National Naval Aviation Museum. Other popular stops include Jackson Square, USS ALABAMA Battleship Memorial Park, and Pensacola Beach.
The National WWII Museum tells the story of World War II from the perspective of America and her Allies. It is located in New Orleans, Louisiana because the Higgins boats were invented and manufactured here. The museum includes extensive exhibits on both the European and Pacific theaters of the war, as well as a special section on D-Day.
One of the most incredible museums that I have experienced and I've been to most in DC, NYC and Philly. This one is much more interactive and tells amazing stories.
The staff were kind and extremely helpful. The layout made the museum the most accessible ♿ from any that I experienced. The cost of the tickets were fair and you'll spend enough time to make it worth it.
We enjoyed all of the exhibits but especially enjoyed the planes and old vehicles. Our son who is <2 years old was engaged most of the time which made it easy to manage him while enjoying.
I highly recommend this to anyone even if you are not a history expert!

What an incredible experience. Always wanted to go but a friend who just went highly recommended it. We went as a family of four and got to meet an actual world or to Gunner. Being able to talk to him and listen to the stories was worth the visit by itself. One of the most interactive museums I've ever been to including the 4D theater. I highly recommend that if you are on the fence and interested in the history you must go! Be prepared to spend a minimal of 2 to 3 hours to experience everything at the museum.
JJ Tarno — Google review
Well done museum. There are a lot of great exhibits. The Boeing room was a definite highlight. They have several WWII era military planes hanging in the room with observation walkways at a couple levels, including above the planes, to allow you to see the planes from different perspectives. It was really cool. The museum is housed in multiple buildings. If you want to see everything, you will need to plan on being there for an entire day, or two.
Curtis Olsen — Google review
Really, really great museum!!! The price of admission is steep, but it is definitely worth it!!! If you are a history buff and want to see everything, then plan on the two days. Also, the 4D theater is definitely worth the $7. I am excited to finish my tour and hopefully come back some day!!! Wonderful museum!!!
Andrew George — Google review
Oh my goodness!! This was the best museum I have experienced in a while, and I mean EXPERIENCED! This is definitely a day to remember, block out the entire day and experience this exhibit. You will thank me later! I will be back because I didn't block a chunk. They do offer a come back to finish ticket for $12 within 7 days of your original ticket. I had to do that but I still don't think I saw everything. This place is massive and chock full of memorabilia and information. I can not stress enough TAKE YOUR TIME and enjoy!
Tabatha Michele Grimes (TMGazelle) — Google review
I don't know where to even start!! This museum exceeds all expectations!! If you have a veteran in your family or are one yourself it is a must see place!! Every aspect is well done! Follow a story of a soldier. Start by boarding a train... the Pacific theater was amazing, the airplanes on display are amazing, D-day was amazing... the list is endless! You will easily spend 3 hours here so be prepared!!
Evan Houghton — Google review
I had a wonderful time and I cannot wait to go back. The museum was clean and very well thought being able to go around and actually understand what the war was all about. They also separated what happened in the Pacific and in Europe, which was very surprising to me with the way they did it. It was a very special place and my children really enjoyed themselves. If you are in New Orleans, this is a great museum to go to.
JayL — Google review
Super incredible experience. It was well done, lots of interesting facts about details I have never thought of. You could get a card (looks like a gift card) about a soldier and follow his journey throughout the entire building. Something everyone should do if possible. I highly recommend it. My 11 year old was very interested the whole time.
Tami Smith — Google review
A great experience for family and friends. Various information boards with displays about different aspects of World War 2. They have two floors of various displays and information to help you truly understand World War 2 from the beginning to the end. There is also a 4D theater that speaks about World War 2 and makes you feel the impulse of being there. I highly suggest that you visit and enjoy it. This is great for family and friends. A genuine experience for anyone of all ages. ENJOY!

Amazing museum. Make sure you give yourself tons of time to take it all in. I spent about 4.5 hours and easily could have spent a couple more (if not the entire day). Really enjoyed the movie clips integrated into the exhibits and the atmosphere the museum creates moving from room to room. Museum staff take your picture as you enter, this is for photos that you can choose to purchase later with different backgrounds (like planes, ambulances, Rosie the riveter and the museum itself). If this might be a souvenir you'd like to purchase, thinking about a dynamic pose for the shot they take will likely look better than the type of photo you'd take for getting an ID. Also, I counted 3 gift shops including an entirely stand alone shop next to the museum so if you are looking for the perfect momento, make sure you take time to look through all 3. The museum is absolutely worth as much time as you can give it.

If you only do one thing in New Orleans, visit the WW2 museum. It is FANTASTIC. The exhibits are thoughtful, and the layout of the museum is easy to navigate and follows good narratives. Highly recommend grabbing a "Dog Tag" and watching the oral histories.
Also, it's a huge museum, and if you want to see everything in-depth, you'll need about 6 hours, but it's well worth it. I already know I'm going to come back someday, and hopefully soon.
Nia Schenk — Google review
I walk by and saw the building, return the next day with enough time to spare, arrived 11am. Make sure you have about 4 hrs to visit and before it closes. I learn a lot about the minorities that serve in the Army during WWII, Their collection of items is rich and valuable. The navigation can be complicated within the building but the museum volunteers are eager to help. Cost is affordable. Never forget history, cause it may return. Highly recommended.
Marilu Carvallo — Google review
Very thorough. Lots to read and view. Biggest critique is that it doesn't flow naturally. Hard to tell when to go from one exhibit to the next in sequence. And was hard to tell when the exhibit ended and where the exit was. Other than that, this is a top-notch museum with excellent exhibits. Lots to do. Could easily spend 5 hours here but a minimum of 2 is suggested.
Kenneth Baker — Google review
Amazing day long visit; so many things to see in a number of buildings. Video presentations help bring to life those that were rescued as well as those that fought and were there to liberate those in concentration camps. Great place and I definitely will go back.
LJ Gorton — Google review
The National WWII museum is very good and loaded with a lot of information and a lot of collections of artifacts from World war II.
Please take tickets in advance. It eases your entry procedure. The train ride is so cool. Don't try to understand it, just feel it. Take a map of the museum. Halls 2 and 3 are the heart of the museum. They consume most of your time. 4 to 7 are skim through.
The timings mentioned on the Google Maps are correct. It took us 3 hours to get a good tour. If you are really interested in learning more about WWII, please dedicate one complete day for this museum tour.
I didn't go to the theatres, cz we didn't have time to cover them. But at a $11 additional cost, you can get two shows.
Parking is really economical on Magazine Street for this museum.
Sathwik Ram — Google review
What an amazing place! You'll need multiple days if you want even a remote chance of seeing even most of it. I could have easily spent 5 days here.
If you're a WWII aficionado, this is a must visit!
Prices are reasonable, it's clean & tidy and there are on site food places, that are pretty good!
We stayed at a hotel that was within walking distance, and I think this is the best way to do it.
Make sure you visit this when you're in the area.

The National WWII Museum is an incredible and immersive experience from start to finish. The museum has curated an amazing collection of artifacts and interpretive materials, then presented them in a coherent format suitable for nearly any visitors.
We especially loved the Boeing Gallery with full size aircraft and vehicles on display. So glad to have finally gotten to visit this wonderful facility.
Jack Sweeney — Google review
Amazing and important place. The greatest generation and the greatest war are well represented here. So much to see that spending 6 to 8 hours is reasonable, so if able, make multiple trips. Recommend getting the dog tag of a true life participant so you can follow their journey. Clever info stations are available throughout. This place gives a fitting tribute to all of the people who helped and sacrificed, each in their own ways. Plenty of artifacts and Building 5 has a great collection of aircraft. Highest recommendation.

This museum is a must-do, and make sure to plan a large chunk (if not the whole day) of your time! Every time I visit this museum it has grown, and the exhibits are beautiful, immersive, interactive and humbling. We ate at the restaurant, which was great (the sweet tea was perfection). They also have a soda shop which is super cute, and wonderful gift shops. Definitely visit and take your time! I don't want to *spoil* much with my photos, but I'll add a couple and an obligatory food shot from lunch!
Brianna (Bri_and_LD on Twitch) — Google review
Favorite WWII museum yet! I thoroughly enjoyed reading everything I could and the experiences are so immersive it’s very captivating. The dog tag part was confusing for us and they didn’t work the way we thought they were supposed to so we kind of just forgot about them. The staff were all incredibly helpful and involved. At one point I lost my tag and we had to double back to get a new one but they were quick to help! I’d absolutely return to continue reading. The catwalk to view the planes and the D-Day exhibit was a huge favorite!

I can't believe how much there is to do here. You will easily spend the majority of your day here. Plan for several hours. There are 4 major buildings to go through, and each will take well over an hour to see. You probably could spend multiple days here if you are interested in the history. Very interactive and one of the highest quality museums I've been to.
Nicholas Redding — Google review
I had no interest in coming here as history is my least favorite subject, but I was tagging along with my friend.
I think the price is reasonable for how much you're getting.
There was still plenty of interesting stuff to see and it was set up in a way that the information was easily attainable in many forms.
There were a number of exhibits, but the entire museum is very well done. Lots to learn and be interested in, even for those who don't want to take the deep dive.
Cassidy Dalton — Google review
Don't miss out on this! It is an incredible experience. We were amazed. I hope to come back again someday. We came on a Saturday morning. We didn't buy advance tickets but got right in. Only a few people ahead of us in the ticket line. Pace yourself so you have enough time for all the buildings. We spent too much time in building 1 and then had to rush thru other areas that I wish I had more time for. The movie was definitely worth the extra expense but does take an hour so plan for that.
Kelly Sonntag — Google review
This is definitely my personal favorite museum (I've never been to la Louvre though). You can spend all day here and still not be able to see/read everything. I've been twice, and I'll definitely be going again!
Cooper Deupree — Google review
One of the best museums I have visited, one of the main reasons I visited New Orleans, and well worth the price of admission.
It is huge, so either be prepared to spend the whole day there or have to come back the next day (they offer discounted tickets if you want to visit a second day, which I haven’t seen at many museums).
I did not have the chance to try their food but it looked good and the prices were reasonable for a museum, and they had multiple spots to eat on their campus.
A true must see for history lovers, or well everyone.
Jacob Floyd — Google review
Amazing and detailed experience covering all aspects of World War II. I spent 4 hours going through all the content here and it could easily take much more time if you really want to read and see it all. There are lots of unique exhibits, displays, individual stories, movies, and media to cover the history. I paid $35 for a standard ticket and walked to the museum from the French Quarter.
Devin Hobby — Google review
What an experience! The WWII Museum is an incredibly huge six building campus with so much to see, you could easily spend the entire day here if you're a huge history buff. Honestly, you could spend multiple days here if you really took in everything! There are so many static exhibits, as well as interactive experiences.
We went with the plan to only spend two hours at the museum and we had to skip so many exhibits and experiences. I highly recommend sitting in the small booths throughout the complex which allow you to listen to people's first hand accounts of their experiences. Hearing these soldier's speak about Omaha Beach was especially incredible!
Pro Tip: If you don't plan on paying for any of the interactive exhibits, there's still one you can do for free on the bottom floor of the Boeing Aircraft exhibit. It's an interactive submarine simulator which tells the incredible story of the SS Tang which sunk 33 enemy ships in only five missions. Totally worth checking out!
Mr3dPHD — Google review
The best museum experience ever! Plan on two full days. This place is so well done. Highly recommended attending both movies. The focus is on the people who fought the battles and lived through the horrors. The short video detailing the discovery of and liberation from the concentration camps was so good I watched it twice over my two days.

- [ ] This is one of the largest museums I’ve visited that were focused on one main purpose. The museum is so large that you can probably spend an entire day going through it and really diving into the history and artifacts. My husband is very into military history and this was definitely one for the books. I can say that as Veterans ourselves, this museum truly honors all of the people whom served in WWII and help in telling their stories and teaching younger generations the true history behind all of it. The displays and layout are so incredible! They really take you back into the past and help you visualize what everyone involved went through and experienced.

Extremely amazing museum. Very clean with plenty of volunteers to answer questions or show you where to go. There is a mix of short clip movies and photos along with real paperwork in areas to show how they were during the war. There is a gift shop and a small pub style restaurant. A lot of walking so wear your good shoes. Restrooms in each area and floors. If you’re unable to walk, they offer free wheelchairs. Very informative. A must see.
Christina Hernandez — Google review
This museum is fantastic. Honestly it is huge. If you are a WWII buff like me, it will take you a day and a half to 2 days to go through it thoroughly, reading everything and watching most of the video testimonials. It is great for an overview. Certain battles like D-Day and the Guadalcanal campaign are covered in greater detail. I wish that they had more vehicles and planes but overall still pretty good.
JJ Bechtel — Google review
The National WWII Museum has done a great job creating their exhibits. Each one transports you to a specific place and time. They did a great job capturing the essence of time through the use of furniture, art, music, effects, videos and displays. It truly is a remarkable setup. At times it felt like we were entering a different world. The dog tag experience was appreciated because it allowed us to follow a veteran's war experience as we moved from exhibit to exhibit. We followed a Native American soldier and an African American soldier. It gave a life significance. It is a large museum with multiple buildings but with accessible pathways. My wife and I navigated all areas without a problem. We missed the 4D experience and were refunded for it, but do try it as it was directed by Tom Hanks. It's only $11 with admission. The museum volunteers and employees were super helpful. They are essential to making your navigation of the museum successful. The best part of our experience was the private 2-hour curator tour. It is offered once a month to a limited group of 10 people. It is $250 pp but it is worth the price, especially because you get close and personal with the collection. We bought all our tickets in advance. The curator's knowledge is extensive. He's mindful of his audience in adapting the tour. Chase is an exceptional curator. He balanced technical facts about the private collections with sociopolitical and psychological information to help his audience make sense of the culture, climate, pressures and requirements of the time. His view was multifaceted and not ethnocentric to the American experience. We appreciated this museum's effort to shed light on all issues.
Giorgio Jovani di Salvatore — Google review
This is a very big WWII museum that has two buildings each with three floors. Many different exhibits in chronological order that depict the war in many details. Lots of documentaries shown in the exhibits along with other displays. Very intriguing to spend at least half a day or an entire day to even glance through.
We have heard that the Beyond Boundaries show is great but we didn't pay a visit. One thing is that kids need to be old enough to fully understand the concepts of war, weapons, and heavy topics like death. Educative experience overall!

I love that they have sensory Saturday at the end of the month!

The French Quarter is a historic district located in the heart of New Orleans, renowned for its lively nightlife and colorful buildings adorned with wrought-iron balconies. Bourbon Street, a popular attraction among visitors, is home to jazz clubs, Cajun eateries and bars serving strong cocktails. Beautiful. It is worth to take time to find parking and come to visit it. The only draw back are the homeless and beggars. They will harass you and once you engage, they got you. In many cases people engage to distract you while others will pick pocket you. Caveat: go up the steps across from Jackson Square and take amazing pictures from both the Square as well as the canal behind you. Sometimes the cruise ships are coming through.

Great touristic attraction where you can see the famous statue of Gen. Andrew Jackson and admire a great view of the Louisiana State Museum. You can have a little walk around the square or relax on one of the benches under the shady trees. You can also see/buy the work of some local artists or have some fortune tellers tell you if your gonna have some unexpected quests for dinner. lol It is a "must see" place when you visit New Orleans.

This has probably been my favorite place in New Orleans. The shops and boutiques surrounding the square are enjoyable with helpful, welcoming staff. Street performers were awesome! Impressive artists had their work on display and for sale, bought a few pieces. I highly recommend bringing cash cause you will want to tip the performers and buy some art. Love the culture of the area!

This is the best area to park for downtown. You are central to Bourbon Street, French Market, and can access the bus or horse draw tours from here as well. This is a lovely place to experience music, food, and just enjoy the sites. The cathedral is right there and has air conditioning.

While we went at a time where it was not crowded, the atmosphere was still lively. It was rather cold so there were not the vendors I expected but that is okay as it gave us a chance to catch a carriage on Decatur for a great tour. The area was clean beautiful and such a wonderful view of St. Louis Cathedral. Can't wait to visit again.

The historic Jackson Square Park is an absolute gem in NOLA! Nestled along the Mississippi River, it offers a breathtaking view of the iconic St. Louis Cathedral and the Andrew Jackson Equestrian Statue. This place oozes history, having graced the screens of numerous movies and dramas. The park's charm is amplified by its iron fences, walkways, and cozy benches.
It is an artistic haven with vibrant open-air events and shows hosted in front of the park. During my visit, I was captivated by talented musicians serenading the crowd. A must-visit spot to soak in NOLA's essence!

Beautiful landmark. I would advise that there are a lot of homeless, panhandle, and hustlers in this area. However, they seemed to be harmless and not bothering much if you just keep your eyes ahead and don't interact with them. This is not IN the park, but you will have to go through the area where they are in order to get in. It would be a perfect place to take wedding photos.

Fun experience while on weekend trip to NOLA. As a history and music buff I was just amazed at all going on and could spent all day soaking in the essence of the environment. Love coming to the park or walking through the square. There’s usually live music or some entertainment and it’s an easy place to find a drink and just enjoy being outdoors. Expect lots of tourists and foot traffic and you can eat at the restaurants right around the square but I’d recommend going a little further into the French quarter. Also, take the time to go inside the cathedral, and take all the pictures you can!

Lovely area of a park with a sculpture and a fountain surrounded by some beautiful structures forming a square. There are plenty of shades and searing for resting. Spots for performance and gathering as needed. In the center of French Quartar as an addition of beauty to the neighborhood.
The street Frenchmen St in the Marigny is well-known for its wide variety of live music venues, many of which are located along the charming Creole cottages that line the street. The Maison d.b.a., Blue Nile, Spotted Cat, and Snug Harbor are some of the most popular clubs here, while there are also bars, restaurants, coffee shops, and stores scattered throughout the area.

Frenchman Street is always a VIBE from colorful street art, tasty food/cocktails to endless live music from almost every club & bar after dark. Music and Art fills the air up and down this street. You definitely can't go wrong spending time in this artsy, funky & upbeat area.

More mellow vibe than bourbon st, but still fueled by good music, alcohol, food and a fun time. Less peddlers and pushers, jazz clubs Vs pure party bars. Better for the older (non black-out drunk intentions )crowd for sure. But you could also do that there too.

Jacky Blaire Music was a lot of fun. Street and club musicians can’t go wrong. Good music and food at the French market hit the spot.

Suuuuuper cool place. Bourbon street is wild, this place was super artistic and laid back. There was so many things to see and look at here. Very cool atmosphere. This picture was a block over front Frenchman, the nightlife was amazing.

Cool bars and clubs for real people and off the Bourbon Street crazy but just enough weird and crazy to be New Orleans. Royal Street Inn is a nice old people bar with PBR and High Life, the champagne of beers.

Much better than Bourbon street older crowd with great Jazz venues I would highly recommend the spotted cat

Def make it a point to visit Frenchmen St while in New Orleans. If you’re looking for a more mature crowd without the college crowd this is the place to go. Music is life and it’s def here and the place to be.

Frenchmen Street was originally named for a group of New Orleans residents that remained loyal to France after the Spanish came to power. Subsequently they were executed in the vicinity. Today the streets is dominated by live music clubs, restaurants and a few hotels. Frenchman street is also near the beginning of the Faubourg Marigny.

Super fun street with many options for live jazz bands, good drinks, and a late night art crawl

Loved walking down Frenchman street. The people and the energy was amazing. The city and the food are a match made in heaven. This is a great place to have a vacation with friends and or family. If you have the courage or don't mind going alone still... go... lol

The Island View Casino Resort is a dazzling destination that boasts a casino, spa facilities, and direct access to the beach. With 11 different dining options and bars available on-site, visitors are spoilt for choice when it comes to food and drink. The hotel rooms are of high quality and there are ample gaming machines and tables for all patrons. Although winters can be chilly, the ocean views from this resort are breathtakingly beautiful year-round.
They serve the best breakfast buffet. The staff and service is very great. Prices are reasonable and a wide variety of food. They have sugar free items if you want them. The servers and the staff are great people always willing to help. I have never had a bad experience I would recommend it to anyone.

Best hotel on the Mississippi Gulf. Lots of player perks. The Buffet is fantastic. Great food all ready for me to enjoy. Breakfast about $12 lunch $14. Big value for the dollar. Friendly staff and dealers make you feel welcome. Clean comfortable rooms.

Courteous staff, willing to explain the comps and points system for the rooms and restaurants. Rooms nice and spacious. The only problem we had was the bathroom sink was slow in draining (probably from previous occupant) not a deal breaker. Restaurants served plenty of food at a good price after comp points. We had a good time!!

Island View is great to gamble at, they have plenty of different activities going on for the players club members, they give you more free play than any of the casinos on the coast. The employees are super friendly and helpful, there is plenty of parking and for the non-smokers that don't want to be around cigarette smoke, they have the smoke free side called Beach View. They have a great selection of slot machines, older ones and newer ones. I love the older machines. The food is great at the different eateries. If you want friendly service and are looking for more free play, $99 rooms, and free food get you a players card and you will really enjoy this casino.

I'd like to say that my experience here was extraordinary pleasant! Lots of slots to choose from! What I liked is that they have fountain drink machines located at different places thru out the casino floor making getting a drink easy! The cocktail waitress was very polite and always right on time for me. I give ISLAND VIEW CASINO a very high 👍 up!! Thank u to all staff and security I had an amazing visit!!

Great quality for the price. Excellent service - everyone from the housekeeping, front desk, security, etc. was very friendly and helpful. Really nice, fun place to stay! Lots of dining options available inside.
Having a non-smoking side was great.
The only negatives would be that the room had some beaten up things and weren’t the cleanest (stains on the towels). Also, it seemed that not all the elevators worked… it took forever to wait on them.

It was excellent. Beautiful inside. The staff were on the spot with our drinks and whatever came across. We had dinner in the buffet and it was absolutely amazing..not crowded at all and very quite. We enjoyed our time and stay.

My party of four women decided to dine at your restaurant, Island View on Saturday. Everyone was nice. They greeted and seated us quickly. While dining we noticed some commotion about four tables in front of us. This lady was upset that they were going to seat two ladies with their “service” dog beside her. The lady insisted they not seat them near her. The hostess proceeded to seat the two ladies with their “service” dog beside our table. I did not have a problem with the service dog, because she had him/her in a zipped up stroller. The problem arose when she unzipped the stroller and proceeded to feed the dog from her plate!!! The manager (a lady) proceeded to inform the women not to feed the dog from their plates or security would be called and they would be escorted out.
Needless to say the women continued to feed the dog from their plates and security was never called nor were the women asked to leave. This continued until we departed about another ten to fifteens minutes (could have been longer, but we let before dessert).
There are many diseases carried by animals that can be transmitted to humans through salivary glands. The process of feeding the dog from contaminated hands to handling the serving utensils has a GREATER risk of infection. Not only do we have to contend with COVID and the flu. But this cross contamination does NOT have to be another! Animals clean themselves by self licking!!! Imagine that!
If you LOVE dog hair and animal contamination in your food this is a GREAT place to eat!!!!

When I made reservations I requested a non-smoking room, king sized bed for two adults. When I made the reservations I booked four nights and told the man I was entertaining “my Valentine”. 💘
When we got to the room I thought I was walking into a hospital room for TWO PEOPLE as the room had too much furniture in it, a lumpy mattress, a dirty coffee pot and a perfect view of the rooftop (we requested the “Beach View Tower”); Instead we had a “Roof View”!

This is a nice casino. Have seen some decline in the upkeep in the most used restrooms. Machines are not kept as clean as when I first started going there. Beach rooms are better than tower rooms. Tower rooms are dated. Prime cut restaurant is the best restaurant on premises in my opinion. Excellent service and outstanding food. Most of the slot machines are set up where you don't feel like you are stacked on top of other people. Walkways in between allow you to walk around without bumping into others.

Hubby took me here after he earned some free hotel nights and dinner points. Nice place to eat, play and sleep. We lost some and win some at the casino. Liked that they had a non smoking casino & hotel but we stayed at their smoking hotel since the other was full. Free parking. Great food at their restaurants. Great drinks. Had a great time.

What's not to like? Machines appear to be winning to me they were paying out. The food is great. There is no snow crab leg buffet any longer but the selections were still enough to hold my attention and I am a chef so do yourself a favor go gamble and eat and have fun here. It was worth the trip.

Still not used to smoking after having not been around it so long. However, and thankfully, there is a non-smoking side and it's a lot calmer. The pool setups are different on the smoking and non-smoking sides though but the non-smoking side has a view of the Gulf. I'm not a gambler but I signed up as a new member and was given a $20 credit and had fun spending someone else's money. All staff was nice and everything was open. Their food prices are great and that breakfast buffet was very reasonably priced and has good offerings. I'd come back here just for that! Having the two sides and it being clean, on both sides, is great. The rooms are good sized and comfortable. Room service was courteous and prompt.

Right down by the beach! This was the first casino of our trip. One of the managers stopped by to check on us and knew our names. She was really sweet and wished us luck. We were new rewards members, so we got $20 in play credit and $20 food credit, which was awesome! We spent our food credit on the buffet, and it was pretty good. The Italian bar was the worst one. It was as if the food had sat there for hours, and there was no attendant in that area. Every other section constantly had someone.

The hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful and got me and my wife checked in to our room quickly. The room was nice but just that, nice. There was nothing special about the room, quite ordinary really. The gaming floor offered a large selection of slot/video poker machines, but the table games selection was limited. Cocktail waitresses were very friendly and, for the most part, very timely. There are always people cleaning the casino floor and restrooms. They have multiple restaurants/eateries that have good food to choose from.

Went on a girl's trip and stayed here for the first time. It was great! They have a side parking lot behind the nonsmoking side so you can go the beach, the pool on the smoking side is GORGEOUS. There was live music while we were there on Saturday night and the shops stay open most of the day, even a couple of them are 24 hours like the Casino part. Four of the girls on our trip won at least $400. Rooms were clean and stocked. Great time overall.

One of the nicest casinos 🎰 I've been to and the one that I go to the most. The slot machines are always changing, meaning they always have new machines being installed and old ones removed. The comps a pretty decent even having a low Players Club card. I'm only on Plus in my comps are pretty good.

We came to Island View on a vacation because our past trips here were enjoyable. We checked in 3/26/24 and the casino seemed dirty some of the machines were sticky from other patrons when you touched them. The trash bins were old and dirty. The buffet last evening at 6:30 was not good its like the food was reheated from the day before and desserts dry and tasteless the fried foods were dark like the oil in the fryers needed changed. Very disappointed. Also a dog in a stroller was allowed in the dining area we didn't feel that was appropriate.

The 2 main buildings are joined by a walkway over hwy 90.
The casinos are large and takes lots of time to see all the rooms, restaurants, bars, pools, decks and casino areas.
The older building is a locals favourite and it is busy. Be aware that the casino has been smoked in for over 20 years.
The newer building has a wonderful harbour view and the Gulf and it is smoke free.
They have an excellent new player offer for food and free play.

This casino and resort is the bomb! Their hotel rooms are very nice, and there are definitely enough machines and tables for all their customers. My time spent viewing the ocean was an awesome one! Although I didn't get in the water, because it's winter, it was such a beautiful and peaceful place. I highly recommend going here, especially for vacations! Best Casino we’ve been to so far in the country, including Vegas! They give fantastic comps! Comp points add up quickly to use for free dining, or play money! Always great give-a-ways, cars, trucks etc. We enjoy the variety of drinks offered, and the many “Senior” day give-a-ways!! Can’t beat their breakfast buffets! Rooms always clean and ready. Staff always pleasant and helpful! Hotel on the beach, one side smoke free! We look forward to our visits there every few months! Can’t beat the value we get!

Very new, clean, and spacious. Nice machines... good when you walk out two hours later in the plus column! It's also a plus when you get a dining credit that pays for your meal... it was all good, and non smoking, too... we will go back if we are in the area again for sure!! Two thumbs up!! 👍

Let me just begin with "What is up with the pillows?!?!?" On a queen bed, there's an "oversized" polyester fill and a "normal (read "tiny" ) polyester fill. Come in, now! With the income from the casinos and food, surely better AND more pillows can be purchased for guests. Other than that, the rooms are clean and the location is convenient to gambling, the beach, and just a short drive from a variety of less expensive restaurants and retail shops.

We stayed on the beach side and rooms were nice. The gambling here is horrible on the beach side. Never could cash out anything, not one ticket. Cannot recommend this casino at all. Staff was not pleasant and acted as if we were inconveniencing them. No smiling faces must hate their jobs. Won’t be back ever!! The old casino was more fun. People a little friendlier. Do not eat at the buffet on Monday evenings. The price was $27.99 a person and all three of us could not eat any of it. It was disgusting even the desserts were terrible. Have never eaten soft, mushy boiled shrimp before. Even the lettuce in the salad was old. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else

Great Casino, with tournaments and lots of promo games! Awesome selection of games to choose from with 2 sides, smoking and non-smoking! Rooms on Ocean side are beautiful (5 stars) and have a safe, Smoking side of Casino (Beach tower) rooms need updating and definitely a safe added! Coffee staff is wonderful, also at the Carson’s Steakhouse Bar! I will be back, but only if I can manage to get a room on the Isle side. A favorite spot since I come from Las Vegas to gamble here at least 3X a year!

Island View has lured me down there and promised on the phone that if I returned and got 500 points they would allow for comp rooms then they changed their policy, the swim up bar is a joke, and very nasty. The guest relations office are unprofessional and do not meet the standards. 6 years as a patron and they did not allow the comp room they promised. Go to Treasure Bay it has the best perks now. Whatever you play as a new member you get it back the next day.
Island View has started to downward spiral and they do not take care of patrons that come all the time. See response below after I got a personal call from a host who had me come back then denied my rooms.
Their response to a weekday room that is fully available at this time as no one is selling out rooms all over the coast so n a Wednesday.
Good Afternoon Mr. Jim,
Thank you for contacting Island View Casino again.
As stated before, the 500 point offer does have to be booked in advance and the point have to be made during the stay.
You have from the moment that you check in under that offer until midnight to make the 500 base Points to make the room offer free. The points on your card presently do not count toward the point requirement.
We apologize for the misunderstanding.
At this time, we are not able to book a complimentary stay at this time.
Best Regards,
Guest Relations

I love Island View. I have been going here to gamble since 2017. I love the rooms and the beach side because it is smoke free! Once it opened I stay on the new side. The people who work the tables are very nice. I wish that if you have a longer stay that they would let us replace towels, give toilet tissue, and take out the trash. Our trash was over flowing. They dirty towels we had we were told by the cleaner to leave them on the floor so we had a pile of towels that were dirty after we asked for new ones. We also, had to ask for tissue multiple times throughout the stay.

I have never been in this casino in my life until today and it will be my last time going. I was out with my husband and 1 year old after seeing the aquarium. My dad and grandma were inside at the casino and told us to come in to the buffet. My dad met me outside and carried our one year old inside and we were greeted with an extremely rude older security lady that said no kids, EVEN TO EAT!! This is absolutely insane because no other place has this problem. We left after she was so rude. My dad went back inside because my grandma was still in there and the same security guard told him he had to leave because he was caught “on camera” holding a baby. HE HAD ALREADY BEEN IN THERE with my grandma for at least an hour. These people don’t care about you or your family. Strictly money is all they care about. Will never step foot in this place again and neither will my family. Definitely not kid friendly. Did not appreciate being treated like a criminal for bringing my kid in to eat.

My favorite casino on the coast. Comps are great, there are two Casinos. On on the beach-view side is no smoking. Island view is good also and has smoking. Walking indoor Bridge between them. Restaurants are really good. They have The Steamer across Street on the Island side-high end seafood. They have the Grille in the Casino decent food and big portions. Carter Green Steakhouse -delicious. There is a diner on beach side that's really good also. Table games and slots on both sides. Highly recommend. Employees very nice. Didn't stay in Hotel as we already had a place.

My husband and I got a room here a few weeks ago. The girl who checked us in was rude.and not welcoming or friendly at all. She was very soft spoken, which is fine but we had to ask her what she said numerous times and still couldn't hear her and she got an attitude and rolled her eyes instead of raising her voice. Neither one of us are hard of hearing. We just couldn't hear her over all of the noises from the slot machines. The room was nice, however, when we tried to sleep in the bed the sheets and comforter were so cheap and uncomfortable that we laid there and could not sleep because both of us started feeling itchy scratchy sensations on our whole body. At first I thought maybe it was bed bugs but we didn't see anything and thank God didn't have any bite marks. We ended up leaving because there was no way either on of us were going to be able to sleep in that bed. During checkout we told a different girl at the front desk why we checked out early and she never acknowledged what we said. Never apologized for the inconvenience or anything.
Also, I never win anything there. I realize casinos are meant to take your money, but after never winning anything after the money I spend in there, it doesn't make sense to keep going back.

WTH? I just called to reserve a room and they can't guarantee your bed type. They said that is first come, first served, so get here early.
We always book a king because my husband prefers the extra seating in the room. Imagine if you had 4 people to a room and you ended up with a king? Wow.
I really wanted to try this casino resort, but with my luck, we'd end up with two queens. Very disappointing.

I was there gambling for about 3 hours, 3 nights ago. Played slots for around 2 hours, then went to the 3 Card Poker table. about 1 hour into me being at the table, I was approached by a female SECURITY employee and asked to take my sweatshirt off or turn it inside out because it had a 4 letter curse word on it. I wasn't bothering anyone. No one had complained, to my knowledge. I am curious as to how out of hundreds of people in the casino, I was singled out......especially after I entered the casino passing through the SECURITY check-in podium. I was told it was part of their "rules" that no vulgarity was allowed. Inside the casino ??? Where everyone is 21 and older.....getting drunk, smoking and gambling ??? There were no signs posted. So how was I supposed to know ? I wasn't at the table cursing or being belligerent. It was printed on my sweatshirt. And I definitely wasn't about to take my clothes off in the middle of the casino. So I waited to finish my hand, took my money and left. I have been going to this casino for over 13 years and have never had an issue. I realize to some, this is nothing, but to me it was ridiculous. It definitely put a bad taste in my mouth and I will think long and hard about coming back.
The Beau Rivage Resort & Casino is a sophisticated hotel with stunning views of the Gulf. It offers an outdoor pool, a spa, and a casino for guests to enjoy. The dining options are diverse and vibrant, including eclectic restaurants and bustling bars. One notable restaurant is The Buffet at Beau Rivage, which boasts an expansive selection of global cuisine in a tastefully decorated space.
Spacious and nice rooms! Restaurants are good. Buffet is $15 for breakfast and servers are super nice. Casino is large. Enjoyed top golf suite and the spa. Pool is awesome. Only recommendation would be to have a pull up spot to check in so you know the room is ready before you park in the deck and drag all your luggage in.

Fantastic experience all around! From the maintenance team up to the managers, everyone was hospitable, kind, and helpful. The hotel was decked out for Christmas and so fun! The room was so pretty and the view was an added bonus. Delicious food in the restaurants, too. Make sure to get some specialty coffees at the Bean and try a muffin or coffee cake. And do some shopping at The Jewelry Box! All the employees were so knowledgeable. I can’t wait to stay here again!

This was my first time gambling and I was there with a friend celebrating her birthday. That's the most fun I've ever had losing money. I totally lost it when I found out there were little electronic slot machines in the bar. Okay, so I'm easily amused! But seriously... I hope I can stay in the hotel one day because this looked like a magical Wonderland. Especially walking through that little garden entrance thingy with all the lights. Absolutely stunning. beautiful property. I'll definitely be back to give you more of my money soon! (I never win anything based on chance so... It's just a donation. 🤣)

The Beau Rivage, frequently called The Beau, is one of our favorite resorts, casinos, and get-away places. We love how the decorations change almost monthly depending on the holiday: Halloween, Christmas, Valentines, etc etc. The rooms are clean, spacious, and comfortable. The views of the water and easy access to the 'beach' area are the best around. The casino has numerous slots and table games, with friendly and helpful dealers. The dining options are good at Beau, but there are also several restaurants (and casinos) within easy walking distance. We love the Black Clover lounge, as well as the sports bar, especially for watching games. They have a mini indoor Top Golf type range. The pool is awesome, and though I've not tried it yet, the spa looks divine! We've been going for years, and they are always tastefully improving and updating. If you're planning a trip to Biloxi, this is your place!

Went to have a good evening of dinner and fun. I guess we got there too late to the buffet and they asked us if we wanted anything else as they were closing down the food access after being there 15 minutes. Wow! Spent $65.00 for 15 minutes worth of eating! Food was not that impressive. I would suggest that they warn you at a thirty minute mark that they will be closing and not take your money 15 minutes before they shut down. Last time I will eat at their buffet! We found other places inside to eat but we were hungry. Thought it would be a good idea to get something to eat before games and the buffet was the first one we saw. As we left we walked around to play a few games. Well to make a long story short, we looked around and hardly anyone was winning and when they did it was small payouts. Years ago I was impressed. Now all there is to play is a bunch of imported looking machines. Everyone there looked down and out. Roulette wheels were not very forgiving either. It's like they changed the balls every turn. Sorry but electronic import machines with strange Chinese dragons on them and just playing the lights is not for me anymore.. the old times are gone, no more old style slot machines. Just not what it used to be. Sorry but I don't think I will be back. Drove three hours for an awful evening. I had taken my girlfriend there for her birthday. Well it wasn't what we expected.

We had the opportunity to take a deal from MGM to come to Biloxi from Florida on a bundled trip that included chartered flight and 3 nights at the “Beau”. First impression is this property is beautiful and gives you a close to Vegas type of experience. The room we had was bittersweet being on the absolute end and the furthest from the elevators. When we arrived it stated in the email that we were checked in and encouraged us to bypass the front desk and go straight to our room. Guess what? The digital key did not work and we had to call down and wait for a security person let us in. Slight setback but the room was a corner and offered a second window for some different views. Unfortunately not gulf view but still not bad considering. The room furnishings and overall quality are getting dated. Clean and kept the best it could be but definitely ready for a remodel. Those being the only complaints to consider this place is the high standard in comparison to the competition nearby. Casino doesn’t have the lower $5 minimums you might see around town but to be expected when they offer the nicest resort. Beautiful Chinese New Year decorations fill the lobby. Staff and dealers when fun and friendly. Slots were actually pretty good to us and had a nice mix of old and new machines. Overall a great experience and we hope to return again.

Beau Rivage is an amazing Gulf Coast destination. While there, we were able to take a day trip from Biloxi to Mobile and to Pensacola (less than a two hour drive)! On our second trip to Beau Rivage, yes we were there twice this summer, we enjoyed a day trip to New Orleans (90 miles west). Oh, did I not mention the incredible restaurants, shops and on site salon at Beau Rivage? There’s something for everyone! The food is phenomenal, the shopping very upscale and enjoyable. The salon services were invigorating. And the casino, wrapped it all up with a bow! This place is definitely our family favorite casino resort getaway!

Fantastic hotel, our first time here. The property is well kept, updated and plenty of staff in all areas. They have numerous food outlets, all of the ones we tried were fantastic. Too cold on our trip for the pool but it is beautiful. The spa was nice and would recommend. Our room was well appointed but we paid a lot for a corner suite for the views. Disappointingly all we could see was the rook and parking garage, real bummer. If you book this type of room don’t get 3rd floor. Overall great property.

Great place to stay. The parking garage is free and the check-in process was very quick. Has a lot of shops in the lobby as well as some good eating places that aren't in the Casino area. Has an Arcade for the kids and an indoor Golf simulator for the Big Kids. Had the Buffet for lunch and it was very good and only $19.99. It is part of the MGM rewards program so be sure to sign up for free and get your card printed off and have them scan it for your stay and food. There were also plenty of elevators that were quick so there wasn't any waiting around for them.

My room was clean and nice. The line to the buffet was very long and didn't move fast so I didn't get to eat there...I was disappointed that the table games are $15 minimum. I finally found one Ultimate Texas Hold Em table that was $10 and played that for a little while. Both open craps tables were $25 minimum. I was able to find some cheaper tables at other casinos in the area.

Buffet was worse than a Golden Corral! Room was not as clean, and had a smell. The pool was so crowded that I wasn't able to swim. There were 70 something people!! I always loved going to the pool. Was there for 4 days and was not able to use even once! I wondered if they had opened it to the public? The Casino itself remains the same. Will not be going back. Have been patron for around 15 years, no more! So sad.

Super cute MGM property. Very "Vegas" feel without having to travel all the way there. It is simpler, and I wish there were more food options but the rooms are very nice, the pool and gym are great, and the casino is well kept.

Our room was excellent! Clean and smelled good, which helps after leaving the casino floor. Lots of friendly faces around every corner! I've never had so many conversations on an elevator! Lol. They have a great view of the gulf from their pool deck, lots of open space to hang out and relax outside, with a bar. The pillows were so comfy, we bought 2 to take home.

My wife and I had a short trip last month. We loved the room, very clean and roomy. The casino was awesome , especially the Bet MGM BOOK. The buffet was moved there temporarily and the food was delicious. So many offerings from meatloaf to shrimp to fried chicken. Overall a great resort, casino experience.

The MGM Folks treat you so special. We come in on a Charter Flight for usually 3-4 days and with some very nice people who become friends. The restaurants are nice and clean with very tasty food. They decorate for every Holiday it seems which is so pretty. I am in real estate, so I notice these things. If you have a need, the front desk is quick to assist you. This has become one of my favorite places to visit. I LOVE The Beau Rivage!

This is probably the nicest hotel in the coast. We didn't stay here but ate at the buffet. The hotel recently changed the buffet and my opinion is that it isn't worth it. Food selection is very limited and if your in two desserts they only had a handful of options.
If you want a better buffet go to the Place. Lots more options and the food is better there.
The crowd for this buffet was mainly seniors, and maybe that's why I thought the food was just bland, catering to them I suppose.

Nothing special about this casino. The restaurants are sub part. They did have the buffet open and we ate there. No real live music on the weekend. Just a local casino which still have smoking. The non smoking was located off the the smoking areas. What was good the whole trip was free promotion.

This is one of the Nicest Casinos that we have stayed at! From the time you walk in the front door to the time you leave, there are nonstop breathtaking sights. Also being walking distance from other casinos, food, and gas stations is always convenient.
We were able to check in and enter our room digitally. Plus, the app allowed us to print physical keys at the kiosk by the front desk.
We can not wait to stay here again in the future!

Incredible resort and casino. Great selection of next generation slots. Room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and beds comfy. Good restaurant options, something for everyone. Reservations, flight, airport transportation, and baggage handling were all done first class. Hassle free travel for the casino going senior. Good comps and great pkg deals are a plus, and this resort offers it all. No wonder they have regular repeat guests at this MGM location.

The rooms are very nice. The one I stayed in was very spacious, but my sister room was average size. Free parking and elevator for convenience. Lots of shopping 🛍, gambling, and food options, but definitely not for the frugal wallet. As with all or most casinos 🎰 drinks 🍸 of all kinds, are free. Their inside elevator to the room are uniquely structured. You need your room key card at all time to get on the elevator, and rooms 1-15 have their own elevator section, and 16-Up has its own section. Though the main areas are really beautiful and maintained. Going to the rooms are a lot of construction 🚧 zones and questionable sites. Overall, I enjoyed my stay. P.S. please do not order anything using your room service. My sister had to pay and additional $50.00 because her daughter called and placed an order off the menu (she went and picked it up and paid for the meal at the restaurant, but still got charged an hotel service fee).

Wonderful resort and casino. Check in was a great! Bell service was spectacular! Buffet was average but restaurants were excellent. Room was fabulous with stupendous house keeping services. I felt very generous and gave large tips because they deserved it. I also won four digits at the casino which was exciting!!!

Beau Rivage Casino is the Class of the Gulf Coast Casinos hands down. Their Buffet and Food establishments are excellent, well priced and awesome quality. The other shops inside are top tier, and surprisingly affordable. The slots are humming and actually pay very well; the table games and roulette are entertaining, with excellent potential for payouts. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves for hours till the wee hours of the morning. Can't wait to go back.

Didn't stay just went for the buffet for dinner 1 night and breakfast the morning after. The food is always hood southern cooking red beans and rice is must. The mac and cheese is delicious just the right amount of creamy gooey delight. The fried chicken is a staple I. Southern cooking and this places version of it is very light and crispy and seasoned to perfection. The cat fish and fried shrimp were good as well.

The buffet and the staff are fantastic. Gigi at the buffet made sure we were taken care of, and we appreciated her. Went to the casino, and the only blackjack tables open were two $50 tables and one $500 table. No thanks - played a couple slots and took off. I suppose the other casinos had cheaper tables, but there weren't a lot of affordable table options.
This casino is themed around rock music and offers a great betting experience with 500 interactive slots and 800 traditional slot machines. It's also packed with entertainment options, including concerts and nightclubs.
Visited this past weekend & everything was excellent. The hotel staff was friendly & helpful. We requested a refrigerator & it was delivered in less than 10 minutes. The lady was so nice & asked if we would also like a microwave, less than 5 minutes later it was at our room. The room was neat & clean. The casino staff was just as nice & helpful! Enjoyed our stay very much!

The lobby and casino are amazing! I love looking at all of the memorabilia. The room was nice and clean but it was a bit worn. The bathroom was impeccable; however, there was a little less privacy than what I prefer, too many glass doors there. The casino play was good. We played for several hours and basically broke even. Overall, we had a very enjoyable evening here.
Vicki Billings — Google review
It was fine I guess but less of a tourist casino and more of a locals slot machine hangout. The casino is really small and there were very few tables open - couldn’t get seats for 3 to play blackjack. A bunch of other goofy card game tables were open and empty. Hardly anyone likes the games outside of very popular ones so I think maybe flexible tables would be better.
The HR Cafe was fine but nothing special like the originals with regards to scale and collection, and the menu any what it used to be. The food was good and the bartender waited on us and she was great. Very friendly staff.

Pro's: Casino being continually cleaned. Restrooms were all clean. So many machines to choose from to play. Wide variety of food available.
Food in the hard rock cafe was very good. The cafe style area was also good.
Cons: hard to find a server to get beverages from, both in main casino & high limits room& non smoking rooms. The smoking part of the casino was not too bad as I am a non smoker ,& didn't gag on any clouds from smokers. Must have a very good ceiling exhaust system. Plenty of memorabilia on display which was interesting to look at. I just wish valet cost was not $30 + tips to the runners. Maybe give seniors & handicap people a lower cost break please. All in all enjoyed my 5 hrs there. Didn't loose too much which was a bonus.

I can't comment about the rooms. I will say that the burger I had there was fantastic. The bartender that served me my food was friendly and very conscientious. I would easily go back to this place. I didn't get a chance to visit the casino but I would definitely like to. This left a lasting positive feeling for this place. Shoot I would easily stay here if I was offered a chance. I'd love to go back and maybe stay next time.

We really like it here. Neither my wife, nor I, are advanced gamblers and they are so patient and helpful when we play. We're not huge spenders but they still treat us so well anyway. Every employee we interacted with during our stay was pleasant to interact with. Bartenders, front desk, pool staff, and the casino staff, all just wonderful to us. Will definitely be back.

Rooms need to be updated. The door handle on the room door was very hard to open. Checked in at 9pm. Went to dinner and returned back to the room. Upon my return, the temperature in the room was 62. We changed the temperature to 73 and left from the casino. Upon my return at 3 a.m., the temperature in the room was 66. It would not go higher. Called the front desk, and they sent maintenance up to check the problem. He flipped a switch inside the wall behind a panel, and it warmed up to 72. The temperature would not go higher than 72. I had the thermostat set at 76. Management and maintenance needs to complete routine maintenance checks on the functions of all guest rooms. The only good thing I can say is that my morning coffee view was amazing. Drinking coffee and seeing the water view help start my day.

If I have needed additional towels or other necessities, they are delivered within an appropriate time. There are many great eating selections at this location. The casino area is clean and well kept. There are various game selections available. I would highly recommend this casino and hotel.

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights for our anniversary. Everything was amazing, the restaurants, casino, bars, hotel room, pool - everything! Check in was simple with the friendliest lady who was very helpful and patient with our questions. Check out was even more convenient.
Loved our view, we were on the 6th floor and had views of both the MS Sound and the pool.
The only negative we experienced..The buffet left a lot to be desired. Very expensive for limited choices of bland food.
All staff from restaurants and hotel were so kind and welcoming. We felt well taken care of the whole time.
All in all, we loved staying here and look forward to coming back!!

The property is beautiful. I had a reservation with Sugar Factory 15-minute wait for two people after being seated for a waiter to come over to take drink orders, only after being requested when I noticed a party of 11 walk in and there order was taken right away after I had already waited 15 min. I spoke with the Manager Drew and services improved right away he was very nice and pleasant to have around during the dining experience. I didn't get the guy name from the back that brought out our food but he was very polite also our waiter was great as well after the rough start to our dining experience.

Wife and I have been here several times and we've been satisfied each time. We brought the kids on this particular visit. They absolutely love it! All they wanted was pizza and the pool 😎.Like most hotels, room rates are highest on weekends. ANNNND as a reminder, don't forget to figure in those extra fees (7%Sales Tax, Resort Fee, 3% Hospitality Tax and 2%Convention Tax 😉)

Didn't know when we booked but smoking is permitted all over the resort including the elevators. Rooms are dated. Casino relatively small. Restaurants were fantastic as well as the view. Probably won't be back. Better values out there for the price but had fun.

First time to this location. We did not stay here but visited the casino. The area was large and plenty of room to get around. The floor service was great! Drinks were not hard to get and the machines were up to date with a few old school ones too. Will say it was a little dark but over all a good experience. Would definitely come here again.

This is my second time here with the same experience both times. Booked a King room in the Platinum tower. The whole tower is supposed to be non - smoking. It’s evident that they don’t enforce it or care. On both occasions, Immediately after getting off the elevator the hallway reeks of weed. We get into our room and it’s the same if not worse. The front desk was little help and only offered another room with different beds or an air scrubber. Housekeeping was very responsive but all they could offer was some spray. This will be the last time I stay at this facility.

I was less than impressed with my stay.
The room had an amazing view but was in serious need of updating and the sheets were stained. The cleanliness wasn’t up to par either. I found hairs all over. They also misgendered me even though I provided correct information. I would not recommend your staff gender customers based on NAMES.

The room was clean and spacious. The casino had all the basics for tables, slots, and some good food options at relatively reasonable prices. We ate a big breakfast with chicken and waffles and an omelette and they were hot, fresh, and well prepared. The waitress was polite, attentive, and informative. The hotel is right on the water in MS. If you are passing through or live nearby this is a good place to try your luck and hang out a while. Good luck!

Very cool hotel. Loved the room, amazing view of the Gulf. Glass shower was great you can shower while seeing the beauty outside. Only negative thing if you like daily room service you have to make sure you ask for it. If not you will not get it. The Casino is a good size with lots of slots..and tables. Several different food choices inside also. Very clean also and friendly staff. And it's right on the water. Beautiful pool but was to cold to go in the time I was there. Definitely a do again.

Great place to hang out. Our favorite pizza place actually. Pie Five Pizza. We stop here just for the pizza some times.
Pro: platinum tower rooms are super cool and modern. They have great views and are nice.
Con: royal tower needs to be freshened up as the rooms are showing their age and some strong smells can be an issue.

Our room was a little lived in, shower heads need to be replaced, and the mini bar had apparently been broken into. It worked but it was empty. The service was on point. Great location. I got a hair cut and shaped my beard. They colored my wife's hair and it was perfect. Exactly what she wanted. The ladies were amazing. Made us feel very comfortable, they were the best. My wife gets super anxious around new people and her hairstylist got her to open up, share stories and laugh. I was very impressed and grateful. Mine as well.

We had a really nice room with a great view, but we won't be back. First of all, the room was not clean. There was garbage on the floor, the bathroom had not been wiped down, and the carpet needed to be vacuumed. Even worse, is there are no housekeeping services. One of the reasons we stay at a hotel, is that someone cleans the room and makes the bed, but not here. We asked for more towels, they were laid on top of our luggage near the door. Reservations was a joke. I had to make several phone calls because what I was told on the phone, did not match the confirmations I received. It took hours to straighten out the reservation. I've stayed at many different Hard Rocks and always enjoyed them. I was told to lower my expectations before I arrived, but I didn't think it would be this bad.

Had a great time, only comment is that the property and rooms especially could use a face-lift. Basic amenities in other casino/resort rooms, laundry bags, fridge, microwave, were "upon request if available". Mold in the room coffee machine. Drywall patching and painting in room was very evident. Furniture had plenty of use distress. Pool area was very nice as well as casino floor and restaurants.

We had a blast during our stay! Our first room had a connecting door to another room and the patrons were screaming all night. We requested another room and were quickly granted another room on a higher floor *without* an adjoining door. We were blown away by the stellar customer service. Casino was wonderful and the drinks plentiful. We'll definitely be back!!

The pool had a swim up bar. The entire area was well stocked with plenty of chairs and umbrellas. There were pool waitresses to take drink and food orders. They were all lovely young ladies who were great at their jobs. I want to give special thanks to Olivia, who made our experience at the pool even more enjoyable. She was friendly with a genuine smile that made me feel like she was actually as happy to be there as I was. All of the bartenders deserve to be praised as well. The entire staff that I encountered met or exceeded my expectations. I enjoyed my stay.

So above our expectations! We took this Biloxi trip on a whim, and booked the Hard Rock, and to say we were satisfied is a complete understatement! The location was very easy to access and come and go from, the view was amazing as well. From the first time we stepped in until the time we left the staff were amazing, very friendly and welcoming, everyone we interacted with was smiling faces, saying hello, asking how we were from security to housekeeping, front desk staff and all in between! The pool area was great, a nice swim up bar in the pool, great sitting area, two hot tubs, one of which was very spacious. The towels supplied were very big and plush. Even had a great view from the pool to the ocean. Our room was very clean, spacious, had a great view out the window, a nice large bathroom. The beds were very comfortable and the pillows didn't go flat! The only complaint about the room was just needed more plugs closer to the beds, otherwise it was excellent. There's plenty of restaurants & entertainment that you don't even have to leave if you so choose. It was our first time staying at a Hard Rock but definitely won't be the last. They certainly left a great impression and made you feel like you were very welcome and they were glad you were there. I highly recommend staying here.

We enjoyed our stay, we are smokers and appreciated our room. Unfortunately, I had to put towels to block our door due to the INTENSE marijuana smell. When we were checking out we brought it to the receptionist attention and her comment was “well you were on the smoking floor” also we weren’t the only ones to complain, but there is noting they can do. I read the guidelines for the state and it’s for Medical Marijuana only. So yes there was something that could have been done.
Lesson learned, always choose non-smoking… just really disappointed.

Rooms were nice but not 281 dollars a night nice. We stayed at the Hampton Inn in Richland, Ms the night before that were much nicer and half the price. When you get there you are charged another 100 dollars per room and I had 2 rooms. They said it could be up to 10 days before it would debited back into my account. Only one of our rooms were ready when we checked in and we didn't check in until after 4pm. Just expected more maybe I was unrealistic in my expectations.

First time to stay at Biloxi Hard Rock. Got upgraded to Platinum tower for some reason. Room was really clean and larger than expected. Beds great. Shower was wonderful with plenty of hot water. Check in was simple and quick with very friendly clerk. Every where we ate was good. Expensive but good. Casino had a wide variety of slots and tables. Only negative was only two Ultimate X video poker machines ( my chose of games). While playing drinks were plentiful and waitress were easy on the eyes. (tipping helps). Down side it rained all three days there so couldn't do much outside. Truly enjoyed stay.

The hotel itself is nice aethstetically speaking. Staff was friendly. So why three stars? Ugh the smokers! They are everywhere. I don't think they smoke where they are supposed to either. You cannot visit the casino or restaurant without walking through clouds of lung killing death murder. You also can't take kids to the restaurants until they text you that your table is ready which is another story. I did like the three head shower, but the shower door did not close the whole way, and the toilet seat kept falling down on my junk. So yeah, don't bring your kids here. Try a different venue.
Gulf Islands National Seashore, spanning 135,000 acres along the Gulf Coast of Mississippi and Florida, is a must-visit destination for outdoor enthusiasts. Visitors can indulge in activities such as swimming, boating, camping, fishing and birdwatching at its numerous white-sand beaches including Fort Pickens Beach. Historical landmarks like Fort Barrancas and Fort Pickens bear testimony to the area's Civil War history while Naval Live Oaks boasts an impressive trail network for hiking enthusiasts.
Very serene setting if you want to enjoy peaceful beaches. We camped for 10 nights near to the beaches and could hear the waves all day and night. Very soothing experience. The area has a ton of bike trails, if you want to explore by bike. Langdon beach has restrooms and water taps / outdoor shower to wash off beach sand after a long day of play at the beach. Such a wonderful peaceful spot. I may not only is it gorgeous, but it pays tribute to those people who have fought the good fight and served in our military so that we can sleep in peace at night. Thank you to all those who served as well while we're on the subject. I'm a disabled vet and although it was not the funnest time in my life, because of those people that are fighting every single day protecting me I would gladly grab a gun and head back. But this is a great little area, what I normally do especially during the daytime you know when it feels good outside, go by and get me some food to go, and then I just run over there it's running center of town so I run over there and eight, look at the water it's peaceful is quiet, it's just it's something really special I really enjoy going over there.

Serene setting for acres of flowers, waterfalls & a 1930s home housing a porcelain collection.
Really interesting place. The story behind the home and gardens is story book. I thought the architecture was more impressive then the garden but the whole thing is worth the trip to this tucked away oasis. I noticed some folks looking to see certain types of flowers and they have a guide to when certain plants are in bloom.
It was raining the day we were there but there were plenty of spots to hide until the rain past. Expect to spend a couple of hours wandering the grounds. They have audio tour you can access from your phone which tells a pretty good story. It’s an easy walk but they’re are some stairs in the house and steps in the garden some folks might be mindful of.

The Christmas lights are amazing. However it was so all busy and crowded and I don't feel comfortable with covid exposures here. No one wore masks or socially distanced. It was also hard to get around with everyone trying to get pictures. Aside from that, it was pretty amazing. The lights were gorgeous and they're was Christmas music. Half the drink stands were closed, so the only area open did have a really long line for snacks and hot chocolate, and it was at the halfway point.

I came on Presidents Day 2024 for a tour of the house and gardens. The price for both was very reasonable. The only bad part was the portion to include a gratuity. This was at the desk when you first walk in, and it's not like I was getting a guided tour for the gardens, only the house, and it is easy to slip the tour guide of the house a few dollars for a tip. That aside, this was a lovely time. I am glad I came when the temperatures were cool. There is a lot of grounds to cover. If this were the summer time, I would not have done it with the high temperatures of the gulf coast. The seasonal flowers were blooming and beautiful. There were a few gardeners around refreshing the grounds. Everyone was friendly. The house was beautiful. The chapel was quaint, and the pottery was exquisite. I would recommend this for anyone in the area. It is beautifully maintained.

The docent that guided us through the home was knowledgeable and interesting and shared many interesting stories of the residents.
It’s only a 4 star review because I feel that there are parts of the grounds that are in need of some TLC. I did see they have a posting for a new Master Gardener so I’m sure that will be corrected.
All in all a don’t miss experience though, as it’s a soul nurturing nature immersive treat.

Bellingrath Gardens is always a fun experience. Lots of colorful Christmas light displays. There are various themes throughout the disolay. There is an underwater theme....a New Orleans theme, to name a few, and of course they all have the Christmas theme. The only thing that I find negative is the price of admission and gift shop prices. For 2 people the admission fee is $38. I know they have a lot to maintain. I just feel that it's a tad high.

Bellingrath was amazing. The lights for the holidays and the home are gorgeous. They had excellent little extras, S’mores station, drinks(both adult and non) and various snack foods.
I would highly recommend getting there early. When we were leaving the traffic was backed up for mikes to get in. We got there before dark, toured the house, walked the grounds and it worked out perfectly.

Absolutely breathtaking! I would suggest mid-March this season would be a great time to see the Azaleas all in bloom. We will visit again soon. A great place to bring you family and its handicap accessible!

One of the most beautiful places I have ever seen! Make sure to do the tour of the house as well. Such a beautiful place. Will definitely be back!!

Absolutely gorgeous. We visited using the Mobile Attraction Pass from TripAdvisor. The trails were easy to follow and well maintained. There were enough signs to inform without being intrusive.
The grounds are very lovely and you’d be hard pressed to find a better way to spend time outdoors.
We were unable to visit the home because tours are not self-guided and only occur on the hour. That was the only disappointing thing and it did not diminish our experience.
They were setting up for the Christmas light show. It will be amazing 🤩. I wish we could stay for it.

This place is a jewel. The grounds are kept meticulously as well as the buildings. I really do not know how to review this place because everything was wonderful... so let's just say this is the easiest 5-star review I have ever done.
We paid for the tour of the house and the $25.00 per person was worth it. I say this because this place truly supports itself, and they do it well.
The story, the artifacts, the pleasant personalities, the gardens... all of it. Top shelf.
I will write captions on all my videos and photographs that I added to this review to help you understand.

Awesome green houses, gardens, the house tour, the lights. This is a sixty-five acre manicured area. The presented photographs not include the feeling of calmness, the fresh smells of the roses and other plants. This is a result of work and pride. A must go to...

19th century military fort offering tours & displays related to Civil War history & beyond.
The entire family (2 adults, 4 kids 10,13,14,16) enjoyed learning and viewing this historic base. What a day we had exploring and learning together. I pray they are able to continue to maintain it and bring more experiences for families like us. Thank you to the group that manages it. Your work is not unnoticed. God Bless America!

We had a great time. My three kiddos enjoyed it. There was some standing water but that's to be expected. The steps are steep. None of this stopped us our journey. Take the small dirt roads for more history and exploring! We had fun guessing what the rooms were. We spent a little over an hour.

What an intricate structure. It’s eerie to imagine the number of soldiers who died an honorable death in battle on these grounds. I’m not a huge history buff but this was an awesome and interesting place to visit especially if you take the time to consider the people that walked this ground so long ago. There some very steep stairs in certain areas and lots of just normal stairs too. Totally worth the $8. Plan to spend about 1-2 hours there depending on how long you wander. Take an umbrella for the spots that are not shaded.

Such a great place to visit. Especially if you are remotely interested in military/war history. Even our teenagers were impressed with this place, and never asked to hurry up and leave. It is just beautiful and so interesting. The gift shop has some cool stuff too.

Such a great historic sight that spans several timelines. The sight is incredibly restored and cared for which allows the guests to not just see where history happened but to visualize it. There was a guest instructor the day we visited which added to the value. The steps are steep but getting a feel for the whole fort is worth the effort if you're able. Lots of great photo opportunities. It's a drive but well worth it, it's probably the biggest fun surprise we had during our week exploring.

I would definitely visit again. This place is so cool to see! The entrance fee is def worth paying. The sun is intense and there is no shade. Wear sunscreen. The dog friendly beach is great! We saw two dolphins swimming offshore. We found some fantastic, large shells.

The fort was an interesting place to explore with tons of history and amazing views. The museum on the premises was very informative with lots of displays and artifacts.
If you are a photographer this place has amazing structures and in my opinion an amazing site for photo sessions. You would have to research the rules on this yourself. I had fun taking photos of our kids in many of the amazing architectural spaces at the fort.

Fort Morgan is a historical site in Alabama. It is right on the beach and it's about a 30 minute drive from the hotel zone/strip in the Gulf Shores. It has a nice little museum and the fort itself is very well maintained. Great spot to take kids too if you're on a family vacation. Not too expensive either. If you're ever in the Gulf Shores or vicinity, you should definitely check it out.

Very cool place for any history buffs. Lots of history here starting with the French. Not far from Gulf Shores and you can take the ferry over to Daphne.

Really enjoyed learning about the history of Fort Morgan and walking these grounds. I found myself imagining the life of the soldiers and sailors that served and what it was like when the fort was operational. The museum also provided a great historic timeline of information about its construction through to its deactivation. As military retiree I received a discounted entry.

Fort Morgan State History Site. Very nice museum. Clean and well stocked restrooms. Friendly staff. Love the self guided tour. Lots and lots of history here. Very interesting architecture and progression of building throughout the years. Fun to explore all the rooms and climb up and down looking into all the nooks and crannies. Great for kids and history buffs alike.

I came out to Fort Morgan with my son during our visit to Orange Beach. The drive was about 30 minutes from our place. This is a really fun place to visit and learn about if you like history. Also has a great view of the coast and Mobile Bay. My son is 3 so we used the stairs created in later additions to reach the upper areas of the fort. The stairs from the initial construction are very steep and do not have an outside railing. Also the upper area has nice views of the fort but would not be a place for kids to run. The ground is uneven and the railings are not high. Overall, loved coming here as did my son and would definitely recommend, just be aware of hazards.

It was a nice place to see. We wish there had been a guide to tell you about things as you toured the fort as they have at other forts. There are some cool places to take pictures there. We even saw the Blue Angels practicing. The price was $8 for adults or $20 for a family of 4.

If you enjoy history this is an interesting place to stop. Admission is $8/adult and less if you're a child/senior. The fort is very intact and preserved and very cool to explore. You can explore the fort and on your own and learn more of the intricacies at the museum which is small but packed with information. Definitely worth a stop. If stairs are a struggle, it will be difficult to explore the whole fort but you can still see quite a bit without having to do stairs. We even saw dolphins in the bay while we were exploring.

This fort is worth checking out if you’re in the area! The grounds appear to be kept up pretty well and almost every part of the fort is accessible. The only downfall is I wish they’d do some sort of audio tour or guided tour. It would’ve been nice to get a more in depth education on the facility and the various rooms.

On the way to the Mobile Bay Ferry, had enough time to visit Fort Morgan, and we were not disappointed. Historic fort originally built in the 1800s had served the United States for many years before decommissioned and turned into Park museum. Was a wonderful place to explore even as an adult.

USS Alabama Battleship is a museum in Mobile, Alabama that commemorates the battles fought by American sailors during World War II. The museum includes exhibits about the ship and its history as well as guided tours for visitors.
$5.00 to get into the park and $15.00 to take the tour. I was here for a ceremony and took a tour of the grounds. Other than the USS Alabama, there are airplanes and tanks, as well as a small museum.
There is a veterans memorial right after you enter the park. Definitely worth the trip, a lot to see and take in.

This experience was amazing we spent 6 hours touring this site. Everyone should visit to better understand history. This museum provides a deeper appreciation of the sacrifices that were made defending our freedom. Donations are appreciated to help preserve this priceless piece of history! The retired volunteer service personnel were a wealth of knowledge. This would make a great class or group trip.

The folks who handle this park have truly done a wonderful thing. With the limited support they get, things keep improving and more and more history is restored! The USS Drum and USS Alabama are great places to bring your family! They have a great system for you to view the ship and have done a wonderful job at preserving these two great monuments! They also host several events throughout the year! If you are any where near or just love history this place is for you!!!!! If you go make sure to plan a full day! They have so much to view and read. They also have a gift shop and food cart!

What a wonderful place. It is loaded with so much memorabilia from keeps, planes, submarine and of the USS Alabama battleship.
Self guided tour of everything but very informative plaques and papers and the battleship is well marked with colors and numbers.
You can go into both the submarine and the Alabama.
So much history and so much you don't know.
The only problem is it can be cold and slippery. Make sure you dress for it. Plan to spend 4 hours easily.
Darla Medile — Google review
This battleship was SO awesome. You can go in and out of most of the ship but just be mindful of small children and older adults. The stairs to go up the different levels of the ship are steep and there are lips at the beginning of most of them. There are bathrooms on the ship if needed. The staff is wonderful and very friendly and I’d recommend for kids ages 7 and older. There is also a submarine but there was so much to do we will have to come back!

Wear comfortable shoes because you don’t want to miss a thing on this ship or the submarine with your grandchild! Fascinating stories, delightful perspectives from every member of the ship’s crew, and info on ALL aspects of naval life including a glimpse into the Captain’s Quarters. Sit behind the gunnery & armaments to feel their power while goosebumps shiver up your spine or just try to imagine life in those confined spaces on board. Quite an adventure.

Amazing museum! Very glad I got to go! I only went on the "yellow" your (magazine, guns, and superstructure) but there were many other self-guided tours that I would have liked to go on. Regardless, it was an amazing museum! USS Drum was also very nice as well! Would definitely recommend visiting if you are in the area!

We spent hours here exploring the ship and submarine.
So many places to explore, up and down stairs (wear comfortable shoes). The ship is well-maintained and you will learn a lot about the sailors life at sea.
The tour is self guided, so make sure you grab a brochure. It's super big and you're able to go into most of it.
Take your time and really appreciate all the work they've put into maintaining this amazing ship.
Karen Flahive — Google review
This place was awesome. Enjoyed the rich history. Enjoyed the submarine experience. Above all my favorite thing was the engine room of the shop. Hands down some of the coolest things. Our scout troop stayed the night and I would have enjoyed spending more time on board had I of known they allowed people to explore so much of the ship. This was fantastic for the boys to explore around just as much as it was for the adults. I absolutely recommend visiting and staying the night if you can. Be aware the racks you'll sleep in are very rigid so expect to basically feel as though you slept on the floor. Hope this is helpful.

Amazing experience: We got to learn about the ship and the submarine.
I took us like a good 2 1/2 hours to walk the ship and submarine, we enjoyed it, but some parts are very hot, bring water with you.
Tania Nova — Google review
Lots of fun here! It's great that you have a self tour. You can view the vast size of the historic battle ship, submarine, and aircraft inside the building. It takes several hours if you want to view everything in detail. Rich history to learn indeed.
Brandon Moring — Google review
There is so much to see and everything is well cared for. It is too bad that the self guided tours lacks any information aside from notating stops. And the ship itself doesn’t have much in the way of placards.
The submarine is much better in terms of descriptions.
This would be an excellent museum if everything was well labelled with a good dose of storytelling prose.
Expect to spend at least 3 hrs

Amazing experience! We visited USS ALABAMA and USS DRUM with family (two adults and three small children) and had a great time. Nevertheless there are some downsides about this place.
It’s a self-guided tour so if you’re familiar with military history/service then lot of the things are pretty much self explanatory. However, for those who’re not familiar with military equipment and history this experience may not be so much fun.
Also, be prepared to go through very tight entrance/exit and steep stairs. If you have knee problems you may not be able to fully enjoy this visit unfortunately.
Moreover, admission rates are rather high in my opinion ($18 per person regular admission for adults and $15 w/Veteran discount + $5 parking fee no exceptions) for it being a public memorial park. It would’ve been nice if the rates were somewhat lower. Even with a veteran discount the rates are still high. Fees really add up especially if you’re visiting with a larger group.
Lastly if you have a wheelchair or a baby stroller/wagon you’re going to have a problem accessing 85% of the park site.
All in all there’s plenty of interesting and fun things to explore. You can take lots of interesting and unique pictures in and around the battleships. Our family had a fun and enjoyable visit. If any of the above mentioned “issues” don’t bother you then this a great place to visit for sure.

The hubs is a history buff, so we knew we had to stop at the USS Alabama Battleship Memorial Park on our way back to Texas. We should have planned for more time!
Parking is $5, so you can enjoy all the outdoor exhibits. To visit the USS Alabama is an additional fee, but there are discounts for the military and AAA members.
Here's my first tip: plan for a 3 to 4 hour trip. We spent a good amount of time on the first of three self tours. The battleship is astounding! I cannot say that enough. Everything looks so small from afar and then you're standing beside the biggest guns you may have ever seen. That changes the conversation.
Keep in mind there are other exhibits on the ground, so wear your walking shoes. That's tip number 2. We parked the car and walked all the way to the dock to get a great view of the battleship.
Here's the last tip: bring your camera and have a good time. And do watch the film. It's about 25 minutes and it's a great history lesson.
Gwendolyn R Houston-Jack — Google review
This was fantastic! The tour is self guided so you can really absorb the details of what you're seeing & not feel rushed. There are great displays throughout the ship that depict life aboard the ship. The entire experience makes you really appreciate the sacrifice these men made. The tour took us about 3 hours, but you can also tour a submarine and a static display of planes inside the hanger. I wouldn't suggest the tour with small children but it would be great if the children are "Scout" age or older.
Valerie Smith — Google review
We loved the 3 different self guided tours with the arrows and the numbers to follow, it was excellent and super easy! Fascinating piece of history with little factoids all along the tour routes. The inside was nice with the a/c but topside was awful with the heat, we really wanted to go all the way to the top but the metal rails were burning our hands. The hanger with all the planes was awesome as was the sub, the USS Drum. There really needs to be a light at the entrance/exit to the park because getting in and out was a nightmare. All in all a great experience though and lots of fun.

The USS Alabama is such an impressive ship to see. The entire place has so many interesting planes and vehicles to see, including an actual WWII submarine. The food in the cafeteria was very good, with excellent service from the hard working gentleman who worked there.

This is an amazing memorial museum. There is a ton to do and even more to see. We did self guided tours on the Alabama Battleship, and on the submarine. We enjoyed spending time exploring and comparing the ships. We have been to other Navy boats and this was great. This was the first battleship we explored so it put all the guided missile cruisers and smaller boats into prospective. This thing is huge. Bring your walking shoes. Check out those 16 inch guns and the rounds for it. Worth every minute !
Plan to bring the family !
James Brown — Google review
Extremely fun place to take the whole family. I would plan on 2.5 hours for USS Alabama and another hour for USS Drum. Gift shop has some fun memorabilia so plan on spending a little bit of time there. The inside of the ship can get very warm in sections with less air conditioning. Definitely bring plenty of water and good walking boots! Very educational and informative.
The self guide tour paths are clearly marked out so you will not get lost. Highly recommend doing the outside (yellow) tour early in the morning while the temperature is still low.
There are plenty of good restaurants nearby. The cafeteria at the memorial did not have any staff so I was not able to eat there.
Will definitely be back with more family member in the near future!

Spent the day at this fun and informative site. Had a great time looking at the wide variety of planes, tanks, and the ships themselves. Highly recommend at least a half day visit to truly explore the battleship and other exhibitions.

What an amazing place to spend time, learning about history, and experiencing some of it firsthand. While we arrived late in the afternoon and decided to wait to take a tour of the ship, my son and I were able to spend a couple of hours looking at all kinds of military aircraft and other hardware. Even got a chance to talk to some of the airmen who were restoring some of the old aircraft. An amazing experience, and one that we will definitely return to again and again.

The USS Alabama Battleship Memorial Park is a must-see historical location in Mobile, Alabama. Within the park, you can tour the grounds and the pavilion with aircraft, tanks, artillery, boats, and memorials to explore during your visit. The USS Drum submarine and the USS Alabama Battleship are both WWII vessels you may board and tour. Discover how the USS Alabama was saved from the scrapyard in Puget Sound and brought to the Memorial Park. She is a well-kept historical landmark that had a extraordinary career.

The USS Alabama Battleship Memorial Park is so much more than just the ship. Touring the ship is great and should not be missed, but there is so much more. Aircraft and tanks of every type and separate memorials to Korea and Vietnam veterans as well. On the day we visited there were young people in period uniforms that greatly enhanced the experience. A truly great place to stop.

Words can’t describe how great our visit was. This is a must see for kids and adults. The battleship is massive, wear comfortable clothing and shoes, there’s lots of climbing for those interested in seeing all it has to offer. They’ve done a wonderful job making it interesting and educational all while making it feel as if you’re allowed to explore wherever you want. Obviously that isn’t the case but it’s not all roped off like it could have been. Big takeaways…to see everything takes at minimum 4-5 hours, please see everything, it’s worth it. Bring a lunch, there’s plenty of picnic tables and even some grills. Lots of climbing but moving around the main deck is fairly easy. This place is so impressive and became the highlight of our trip!
Well-known fishing pier offering scenic views, lots of pelicans & a seafood restaurant.
A very nice pier. No admission, no parking fees. You do need a saltwater fishing license to fish in the bay. When we went on a weekday in early April around 2pm, there were very few people on the pier, and only a couple other people fishing. We were able to catch a few croaker using frozen shrimp and circle hooks. Plenty of water fowl to watch here along with a distant view of Mobile skyline across the bay. Water was much calmer than the Gulf in places such as Gulf Shores. Overall, a very nice experience and well worth the 40 minute drive for us.

Off work early. So I plugged into the map someplace I can walk towards water. This municipal Pier came up. And it was close enough to me. Pleasantly surprised
Beautiful well kept pier. Fishing with permits is allowed. Along the pier you will see it water spigots and trays with measurements built right into the deck. Quite a walk out onto the pier with lots of benches to sit and watch the water. No boats were docked when I was there but it appears there are many docking stations. Renovating the restaurant that is there so there might be construction going on when you arrive. New restaurant coming in the spring 2023. Just caught the sunset. Beautiful. Saw few birds standing on Martin houses.
Free to park.

I've been coming here for over 30 years. If I'm anywhere nearby and don't have to rush off somewhere else right away, I will make the trip here. Absolutely beautiful. Well . . . if you're into scenic overlooks, glorious sunsets, nearby coffee shops, bucolic little towns, refreshing walks, fountains, fishing, people watching, dog watching (sometimes very similar), or just soaking up the warmth of the sun on a gorgeous pier. If you're not into those things, you'll enjoy driving around the circle. Please don't hit my truck.

The Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo is a 375 acre zoo that features many animals, including kangaroos and lemurs. The zoo also has a petting zoo, an aviary, and a picnic area. It is located only 6 miles from the beach.
Such a nice zoo. The staff is always so friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the on-site dining and activities such as merry-go-round, sluicing, and animal encounters. The walkways are wide and easy to use. Bathrooms are clean and accessible. The kids enjoyed the play areas. Overall a great zoo!

This is a small zoo. It has been in this are for 3 years. The animals seem to be well taken care of. The rides, zipline ride or zoo train were not running and cost extra. For the $25 ticket price it is disappointing. We past several keepers none of which spoke to us. The only keepers that were friendly was at the petting barn. They were awesome! This is a once and done. We visit zoos around the world.

What a lovely zoo! We went right when it opened and it was very peaceful. It’s very clean and well kept, all of the animals seemed to be very relaxed and happy. We ended up walking around the loop twice and that gave us an opportunity to see some of the animals that were still sleeping when we first showed up. We will come back if we are in the area again!

The zoo was a fun small day trip! My partner and I were able to walk the whole zoo in less than an hour but was very humid and hot so most of the animals were just laying down or hiding. The gift shop had a few fun things but not a large selection. For the price of $22.95 was a bit much for the time we spent. It came out to $50.40? Something like that for less about an hour. We decided to do the lemur encounter and we had a lot of fun! It was 24.95/pp but was fun! We wanted to do the kangaroo interaction but was informed that was more for educational purposes and if we wanted more interaction to do the lemurs. So glad we did. At first they were shy but then they got active and climbed all over us and licked us. We got to pet them and take plenty of pictures that was well worth the money.

We stopped by here on a road trip and it was wonderful. Staff was pleasant and everything from the path, to the gift shop, to the restroom was very clean. We arrived around 1130 and left around 230-3. We saw a lot of animals and even had a few chats with the keepers as they tended a few of the enclosures who were very knowledgeable and willing to spend some time with us. There is a garden section which was a pleasant surprise as I haven't seen that at a zoo before and you are able to take a walk and sit on benches provided. It was a beautiful landscape area that has a cute little chicken coop. There is a stage for performance although there was not one scheduled during our visit. There is also an area to watch alligators being fed that happens on Tues & Thurs. The gift shop was also awesome with items ranging from very inexpensive at 1$ to things created by artisans that are 50+. It worked out great for us as we had two little boys who were able to get something without it breaking the bank while I was able to get a cute shirt to remember our stop and warm up as the temp dropped unexpectedly on us!

The zoo is nice in that a family with small children can get through it with one trip. It has a normal small shop at the beginning for souvenirs. The first thing out is the giraffe feeding area but be careful if you want to take pictures of the yougins as the staff person stands on the wrong side for parents to get snap shots. Most of the exhibits have something in them and the kids are close to them for the most part. Lion can be pretty far off to see along with the alligators. Non of the vendors were open but a couple and I’m sure that is because we were here at the end of February. They had a nice play area for the kids about halfway.

Such a beautiful zoo! Very clean with ample restrooms and benches. There were so many animals to see which was very unexpected. We saw tigers, lyons, monkeys, giraffes, lemurs, many types of local birds, etc. For an extra fee, you can feed the giraffes and have an opportunity to get up close and personal with several different zoo animals.
There is a great little enclosed bird area with turtles where you can sit and watch the birds. They also have a great gift shop with wonderful gift items.
Overall, it was a wonderful experience. We had a great time watching the animals and will definitely be back!

It's ok. If you bought this as part of the ticket packages like an Alabama Fun Pass , it may be worth the visit. They need to add more shade to their playground and rest area. The extra experiences aren't worth the price. It does have a nice collection of animals and the park is clean and well maintained and has great bathrooms.

Feeding the giraffe was absolutely worth the money. All exhibits are close up so you get a good view and there are so many chances to interact with the animals. There are chances to feed the lemurs, cuddle the sloths, sing with the parrots. It's was week worth the money. Everything is handicap accessible and there are electric scooters available for rent.

The zoo is very small, we walked the whole place in 1 hour, most of the animals were inside of their habits because it was too hot.
The total for 4 people was $92, including taxes.
The kids loved the ride around the cows it cost $5.99 per person
We liked the zoo. My recommendation is to go early in the morning when it isn't too hot, you will probably get to see more animals.

But they really need to put some money into this place and start by cleaning it up take the time to trim Grass and shrubs in the cages the poor animal looked bad as well for over 65 dollars for 2 adults and a child it definitely wasn't worth it. O and a lot of empty cages a lot

Fun small zoo. The experiences are affordable and worth it. We LOVED feeding the giraffes. The littles loved the merry go round. Easily can be done in 1-2 hrs

A small zoo, but nice big enclosures with lots of grass. I have never seen such relaxed cats in a zoo environment. All of the animals were relaxed and happy. Many would come to the front of the pens to look at the visitors.

I had the most incredible experience at the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo. 🐾 From the moment I stepped through the gates, I was immersed in a world of wonder and discovery. The zoo's commitment to conservation and education was evident at every turn. 🌿 As I wandered through the exhibits, I found myself captivated by the diverse array of animals and the informative signage that accompanied each one. 🦁🦦 Every species had a story to tell, and I felt privileged to learn from them. One of the highlights of my visit was the gift shop, which offered a delightful selection of souvenirs and memorabilia. 🎁 I couldn't resist picking up a few items to remember my time at the zoo, and each one served as a cherished reminder of the memories I had made. But perhaps the most unforgettable part of my visit was the private tour with a zookeeper. 🤝 Having the opportunity to engage in one-on-one conversation with someone so passionate about animal care and conservation was truly inspiring. 🌟 I learned so much about the inner workings of the zoo and the incredible efforts that go into caring for its residents.Overall, my experience at the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo was nothing short of magical. ✨ From the educational exhibits to the unique opportunity of the private tour, every moment was filled with awe and appreciation for the natural world. 🌍 I can't wait to return and continue exploring all that this extraordinary zoo has to offer. 🐯🦒

Very nice small zoo. They offered feeding a giraffe for $5 during a certain time window...very worth it! It is a beautiful zoo, a nice layout also with a petting zoo of farm animals for small kids. They have a merry-go-round. You can take a small motorized car ride to see a few animals. Enjoyed the day at the zoo. Employees work hard and are very knowledgeable.

What a great zoo! We were very pleased with everything about it. It's clean, there's plenty of restrooms, they let you bring in your lunch or you can stop and pick up something from a pretty good variety of snacks and sandwiches from machines or go to a cafe. My daughter liked the carousel as well! Note that the carousel and the experiences are extra costs so read up on those before you visit. 👍

Very nice zoo. Friendly staff. Wouldn't recommend the safari ride. It is$6 and lasts about a minute. You can walk the same area, so it's not worth it. The only reason for 4 stars is the restaurant. We decided to grab a bite for lunch. It was Sunday so it was a little busy. Little boy ordered a waffle that came out underdone. Our food came out 45 minutes after our drinks. My chicken frittata was warm but the chicken has the texture of jerky. Very dry. My wife's burger was cooked properly. It was the only meal of the 4 that was done properly.
Realize this zoo is fairly small so it only takes a few hours to get through so take your time and enjoy the animals. We paid the $5/person to feed the giraffes. It's a fun experience. They have other experiences but due to the cooler temps they were unable to bring some animals out. All in all I'd go back in warmer temps so we can experience more. Hope this helps.

We went on a windy, non-beach day and LOVED it! It is clean, new and very well laid out for ease of navigating. The exhibits were nice and close to each other, so it’s not a sprawling zoo like many we have visited…helpful when you’re with young kids! Good gift shop too!

I loved taking my 1 year old niece . It is very nice and kept up. Only thing is you have to pay extra for everything just about . Wish there were more things that were included in the $25 admission fee. But other than that it’s wonderful, very family friendly.
The Wharf is a touristy spot with amenities such as a convenience store, meeting space, pool, fitness center, golf course and breakfast. It is located in the heart of Gulf Shores and easy to access by car or bus.
I visited here the day after Christmas. The place had two laser shows at 6 and 7pm which were fun and beautiful. There were not many people and only a few shops were open around that time. There are plenty of parking spaces at no cost. It’s very easy to access.

Really fun place. My boyfriend and I went last night. They had an awesome light show around 8:30 p.m. They have a bunch of shops, places to eat, and an arcade. Cool Ferris Wheel. Fun for the whole family. Recommend!

Had a great time at the Wharf for New Years. Shops were very welcoming and the crowd was having a great time. Live music, open shops more than willing to welcome customers in, ferris wheel staffing busy and just an overall great experience.

We have returned to the Wharf many times since first discovering it. Lots of great shops and restaurants. Really pretty view of fancy boats. The Ferris wheel is a must. A little pricey but offers great view of the area. The light show at night is lots of fun.

This place is so nice they have a lot of cute stores you can either browse through or shop. I loved it. It's so beautiful they also have a lot of options for food. A movie theater,Ferris Wheel, and today, they had like a side with different food vendors tents.

We explored the Wharf both during the day and at night. There is plenty to do between exploring all the shops, riding the ferris wheel, dolphin boat tours, amphitheater, bars and restaurants, and so much more. There is plenty of free parking outside the stores and a large parking ramp if those parking slots fill up. Overall this is a fun place to explore. 🛍🎡🐬

We went to an old car show there. It was perfect for the car lovers and gave the people that wasn't car crazy a place to shop. You could also walk a long where the yachts were docked. There were a lot of people but it wasn't so crowded you couldn't get around. Great atmosphere and a very good Pina Colada at the Daiquiri Bar. Only a hand full of people had on mask.

An interesting but expensive place to shop. Tried The House of Jerkys, shark jerky is so so, especially considering how expensive it is.
The Spice & Tea Exchange has a great setting in displaying spices and teas. But the price is outrageous. A small bag of tea for $7 and spice for $6. I guess for novelty tryout, it will be ok.

We visited the Wharf on a weekday in June, 2023. It was fairly quiet when we were there. There were stores and restaurants and such. We didn't find anything that we felt we needed to buy. So we went on our way after a nice walk around the complex.

Absolutely loved this place and went back a few times to just walk around and check out stores. We also road the ferris wheel a couple of times and had a lot of fun. Only reason it's getting 3 stars is because 3 of the restaurants we visited here tried to overcharge us on various items. Definitely recommend looking over receipts in this area.

I went on the dolphin experience cruise. I love that you are able to bring your own snacks and drinks. You can also bring alcoholic beverages. Just no glass. They also sell chips and drinks for $1 on the boat. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable as well. Although we didn’t get a chance to get any dolphins to surf around us they did swim around us and that was cool. It was also nice to just relax and enjoy our time out on the water.

Considering why I was there in the first place, I would share that it has a lot to offer for everyone. Plenty of eats, shops and entertainment along with an Arcade.
Outside of the AMC movie theater where I visited to watch a new low key IRA movie with Liam Nielsen, called There will be Saint and Sinners, there is a Ferris Wheel...

Wonderful family or solo experience!
Must stop while in the area.
Free parking and there was plenty.
Free laser show was great for the kids. Ferris wheel rides were reasonably priced ($8) and had a seasonal ice skating bundle option available as well. Quite a few stores but come before 6 as most close by then (Saturday) Will absolutely return.

The Wharf at Orange 🍊 Beach is a fun Live-Work-Play community that is well worth a visit. Especially for the days you need a change of scenery, a break from the sun or rainy day blues.
At this time, you'll find a huge ferris wheel, an AMC Movie theater, shops, restaurants, a church, a marina, a video game shop. Really, something for everyone. Our favorite spots are Shades 😎 , this beautiful coffee shop that serves an amazing breakfast, & Ginny Lane. I'm sure there's others - like the beef jerky store or the whisky distillery - I'll just have to return to update this post.
There is no need to worry about parking. They have plenty. Public bathrooms can be tricky for impared individuals.

Attended the family friendly New Year’s Eve event at The Wharf this year, and enjoyed our visit. Great space/time for children and adults alike.
The National Naval Aviation Museum, located in the Naval Air Station Pensacola and one of the most popular museums in Florida, showcases over 150 restored military aircraft including helicopters and dive bombers that proved significant in American history. The museum is dedicated to preserving and exhibiting aspects of the development and heritage of the United States Naval Aviation history for all branches including Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard. Visitors can also enjoy a flight simulator experience and watch an IMAX theater show.
I'm a huge fan of naval aviation so 2 days in the car to visit this museum was perfectly fine with me. Unlike a number of aviation museums, this one allows you to get right up to the aircraft. As an avid model builder, the opportunity to crawl under some of these aircraft or stick your head up inside the wheel wells was amazing. There are many unique and historically significant pieces here as well as incredible models and artifact displays. While multiple Tomcats were awesome to see, the highlight for me was the opportunity to place my hand on the only surviving aircraft from Midway. It was a very moving experience for this naval aviation fan.

Just so beautiful and inspirational. Amazingly detailed both up and downstairs. Incredibly knowledgeable staff of prior and current service. It’s like walking through 3D, live-motion Naval history research. So unbelievably modernized for a museum. No wait whatsoever. Not crowded. Free. Sharp images on screens, clean both in and outside (including restrooms), and just overall an amazing experience.

Just be mindful that the prices in the gift shop are a little high. But, admission is free anyways so it’s not that bad. Overall it’s ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️, I really enjoyed it and I hope you do too.

This was a wonderful museum to attend. You do have to go through the initial base gates but it is my understanding this is allowed for everyone (I went with some one with a retired military ID so did not test this). We spent over 2 hours at this museum and did not cover everything. There is a lot of history to see and read, not just the air craft. They also have a historical movie to see. There are people on hand if you gave questions and of course a gift shop. Keep in mind if you go there are 2 buildings at the time of this review. Hanger 1 is found exiting the back part of the initial museum.

The cafe is available, the movie theater, and also the gift store. The store had a great variety of items - shirts, hats, toys, gift items, and novelty items.
The displays were amazing. Do note some features have a cost but the entry was free with a donation option at the Blue Angels.
We watched the “Blue Angels” and then then the pilots came for an Autograph session at the Museum. It was a fabulous day. We will definitely be back.

Amazing! I had no idea what to expect but this is a must see. It's free to get in and there a ton of planes to see with hands on stuff for the kids and great historical information all over. I could easily spend all day here reading information and seeing the planes. There is a simulator that my kids did. That cost money but great experience. 5 stars! Thanks for the experience.

This place is great I’ve been going here for years and will visit again in the future. Covid making it harder to get it, but if you get to know a few locals this normally isn’t an issue. The museum is great and how many times over the years I’ve ran into someone volunteering and it turning into a 15 minute conversation about one of the displays telling a story from their life. I’ve meet nothing, but the best here. The shows always bring a crowd and it’s worth it, but also it’s definitely worth stopping on an off day to get the true experience of this wonderful place.

You gotta make 4 days available to see everything. Super interactive displays, friendly helpful staff and more to see and do for beyond the eyes can see. Full size airplanes on display. Many huge models of Navel ships. Wow, gotta put this place on your bucket list. Also, part of the home to the Blue Angles. Meet and greet on the tarmac behind the museum on live practice days. Most Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Check their schedule for training days to be sure. Oh best part. Parking and admission to the museum is FREE. You will have to enter NAS Pensacola so be sure to have your ID. Check the website.

I visited this place as a child over 30 years ago and wow, has come a long way. I expected my children to be bored, but they have done quite well with making sure there are plenty of interactive attractions to go along with the viewing of life sized peices historical Naval aviation.
Admission is free, though there are "tip containers" scattered across the museum. They have a couple different simulators and they also have movies that all cost money. I feel they are reasonably priced since admission is free. There is restaurant and a snack bar. A little high priced for the quality in my opinion but it serves the purpose of giving you food for as much time as you could potentially spend here.
We spent about 3 hours here and we didn't watch any of the movies that you can buy tickets to. If you are someone who is really passionate about this kind of thing and want to experience all of it, get here when the doors open and plan to spend 4-5 hours. And that is on a less busy day.
The exhibits are top notch. They have full sized jets and planes plus very detailed replicas of different aircraft carriers. The WWII exhibit has it's own section and is an absolute must see if you love this part of US history. Worth a trip to Pensacola just for this, in my opinion.
Overall, great museum and recommend every one check it out if in the area.

This is by far the best military aviation museum I've visited over the years! The displays are very well laid out, and the aircraft are real ones that have been in action in the fleet. It has very impressive galleries as well that provides the historical context of the various stages of development of naval aviation from the beginning of flight until the present day. Best of all, it's free.

Steve Judd gave our tour. He did an amazing job. It lasted about two hours. He was super interactive with the crowd. He asked about retired military in the crowd and any current pilots. I loved all the information he gave. I really enjoyed that he wore a microphone and little speaker. It made it so much easier to hear him. Anyone interested in the Navy, Blue Angels, and USA history would really enjoy this museum. I think we could spend two days reading everything, watching every movie, doing every interactive simulator. We will definitely be back again. Admission is free. Some things like the movie and simulators cost. They have a neat little cafe too.

Wow! What a hidden gem - and it is FREE (although the movie and simulators are at a cost). So much fun and so much packed into a small foot print! Wow! This was a spur of the moment visit while in the area, but there a ton to see! The guide said it takes 2 days to see it all, I only got to see a bit of what there is to offer in an afternoon. Very expansive and cool exhibits with friendly staff.
On a side note if there’s a Blue Angles practice going on, get there absolutely as early as possible. They were at capacity in the morning, so couldn’t get in and traffic gets beyond ridiculous!

We visit as many military museums as possible when we travel. The National Naval Aviation Museum exceeded our expectations! Free admission. Expect to spend at least 2 hours! There are stairs, but also an elevator for those who need the extra help. Hands-on activities for children and short videos to help experience and understand the history of the time period. For those in Pensacola this is a MUST SEE!

Enjoyed the visit with my girls (2 daughters and niece). Happened to get lucky and witness a flight school graduation, which was pretty awesome and unexpected. These officers were representing true American spirit, and from what I can remember, not a single one was from the same hometown, a true melting pot of America in this group. The museum itself has a unique bond between future and history this way by having Graduation ceremony surrounded by all the history while presenting the future of Naval aviation. I sincerely hope the families understand the importance of everything surrounding them and that they were able to take the time and enjoy the time, take some memories home of not only the present but of immersing themselves into the past.

We had arranged for a small camping style cabin for two nights of relaxation for our 24th wedding anniversary. We received a phone call from the office on the morning of our arrival that the Coldwater creek had flooded and our originally booked cabin was unreachable. We were offered a full refund or a possible change of accommodations. We decided to go on and see what we could do for an alternative. When Ms Suzanne in the office found out that it was a special day for us, she placed us in the Nashville Railcar Cabin. It was absolutely beautiful and could not have possibly been any more perfect. Also in addition to the creek flood eliminating all of their River trips and Zip line attractions, we ended up having the entire acreage to ourselves for the night of our anniversary. I cannot say enough about the cleanliness and care of the entire campground as well as the friendliness of the staff. Ms Suzanne deserves the highest of praise for saving our trip and going above and beyond to accommodate us. We look forward to a return trip and experiencing more of their offerings in the future. We had the most relaxing, peaceful and enjoyable time. It was amazing! Thank you so much Ms Suzanne and the entire staff at Adventures Unlimited! Our joy was truly Unlimited!

I had my wedding and reception here early December 2022. We had booked the venue early 2022. This is a very beautiful venue. Both the dias and the reception barn. However, this place is not accommodating to couples at all. Each room in the reception barn, including the "kitchen" and the bridal room, are separate expenses. This is a gouging opportunity and they took it. We were able to ask for an additional hour the night before to set up for our wedding AND reception. Per the contract you're really only allowed ONE. We were allowed the extra hour if we "didn't require air conditioning while setting up." You're given a total of 12 hours on your wedding day from start to finish.. which also is a squeeze when you're planning and preparing a wedding for 150+ people. Let me just say the staff is wonderful as I know this is not their rules that they're adhering to. During my reception, one of the staff members came and turned the overhead lights off because, "they're not supposed to be on." We received an email TWO days before my wedding saying that the warming oven in the kitchen was not working.. but no discount offered. There is no ice machine so you have to bring coolers upon coolers filled with ice and just hope that it's enough. We rented a cabin, Osprey, the night before and the night of our wedding and it was so awful that we didn't even stay the night of the wedding. The bed was terrible. There were bugs falling on us while we slept and many other critters through out the cabin. I understand that this is in the middle of the woods and can be expected, but I want to warn others who may also have bug phobias. They are accommodating as far as allowing you to take pictures with your photographer at the other venue sites/locations which was wonderful. But I would 10/10 not recommend this place to hold your wedding. It's obvious throughout your whole experience that money is and object/issue.

So we decided to come here towards the end of the school year just before school let out so it was not busy at all. We stayed in Blueberry and it was so cozy! The location is better imo than the others but it’s all in preference. We took our bikes and took every dirt road and paved road. We hiked to the big beach which was funny because my kids got scared and the camera was acting up with them appearing as ghosts 😂 the cabins have the whole kitchen setup with dishes and cookware so cooking was easier than the primitive camping. They have a store with basically anything you’ll need in case you forget. The history was interesting and they have pictures with info right outside the store and the zip lining was so fun. It’s hot though with lots of stairs so take water and the bugs are so annoying so take some bug spray. Lastly our zip line guides were so amazing and fun! Thanks Axel and Megan 😊

Edited to include some photos of my favorite highlights of the AUOC venue!
We recently had our wedding and reception at AUOC. We utilized the Coldwater Creek Chapel, the Blue Heron Room, Bridal Suite, and prep kitchen; and we stayed in Granny Peaden cabin. It is an absolutely beautiful backdrop for such an event. The cost was fair, the facilities are gorgeous, and my interaction with the staff was pleasant. Tiffany was awesome!! She was so helpful and IMO is truly an asset to AUOC. She was so helpful throughout the entire process from being transparent and responsive during the planning all the way to execution of events.
They were so patient with us—let’s face it, no matter how much planning goes in to an event like this it WILL BE chaotic—and their patience did not go unnoticed!
Our day was everything we hoped it would be, and if I had it to do all over again, I would 100% pick Adventures Unlimited <3
Will update review with photos just as soon as I get the professional photos back!!

The Destin Harbor Boardwalk is a bustling destination for bars, restaurants, souvenir shops, and tourist attractions. It's filled with shops and restaurants and has a great view of the Florida sunset.
Really great place to have fun and relax. There's so much for couples and even more for families! Food is all around you and with zip lining, rock walls, mini golf, escape rooms, and axe throwing, there's never a dull moment. It isn't the least expensive place but you should know that walking in. Visiting Destin Harbor Boardwalk was an unforgettable experience! The vibrant atmosphere, stunning waterfront views, diverse entertainment, and delicious dining options made it one of the best destinations I've ever been to. If you haven't been there yet, it's definitely a must-visit!

This place has really grown into a tourist attraction. Lots of shops and restaurants. Ice cream, coffee, Alcohol. Cool place to stroll around with a drink in your hand. Zip line, jet ski rentals, dolphin cruises, deep sea fishing. Tons of foot and water traffic. Pretty cool spot. I paid 20 bucks to park with same day re entry.

What a wonderful place to have fun with the family. There are small train ride for little kids, jumping zone, zipline, free fall etc. you can take dolphin boat tours or charters. Fast food options like french fries, grilled cheese, funnel cake are there. Great fish restaurants. Definitely you should go. It is best in the evening time!

Very busy, lots of fun. Nice stores. It was one of the best harbor walks we have been. Many stores for browsing and many cool eats.
Very full after 3pm usually. Plan to spend at least a few hours there. They have a cool zip line that has a beautiful view of the harbor.

We enjoyed our time at the boardwalk, it was $20 daily parking. You can leave and come back just have to keep your ticket on the way out. There was a free concert at night featuring Flash Flood when we visited. We really enjoyed them! We saw lots of fish walking along the boardwalk, and listened to lots of great music. There are plenty of places to shop and eat!

Great place for families to spend the day. Plenty of places to shop, catch a cruise, or have a meal. There are lots of activities like rock climbing, mini golf, 7D experience, food trucks. We enjoyed sitting on the dock and watching boats come and go. We were there on a Thursday night and they had a vintage air show, live music and we had a late dinner and view of the fantastic fireworks.

Fun and lively. Lots of boats cruising and music everywhere. Wonderful during the "off season" because it's not overly crowded. A new favorite vacation local spot for my early spring getaway.

Great little outdoor boardwalk with plenty of entertainment for the kids. Some good food places and definitely fresh, delicious adult beverages. You even get to see the fishermen with their daily fish hauls

It was fun. Yeah, it was a bit touristy, and prices were maybe a little high. But it is worth it. Just a nice stroll and street performers every now and again, not there begging for money. Safe family things. And free parkimg is available.

Excellent spot to do some shopping, enjoy some entertainment, or grab a bite to eat. Lots to do from boat rentals to fishing and sightseeing excursions to food and activities all right there. There is a 20 dollar parking fee, but it's good for the entire day. It's definitely worth the visit!

Pretty neat place to spend time in Destin. Alot of boat tours, dolphin cruises etc one could ride on. Some restaurants as well along the boardwalk to grab a bite. Would recommend staying at Wyndham hotel on the harbor to make it easy to be in that area.

Very cool place! Lots of shops, restaurants and food trucks. They have some games for the kiddos like the giant hamster balls they get in the water in. There was even a guy walking around on stilts making balloon animals :-) You can also walk the marina and check out all the cool boats. Great view of the bridge and islands too! $20 parking seems a little steep; but we enjoyed it.

Fun to roam around and take in the sights, eat a snack, relax to live music. We were in the Emerald Green for a Wyndham Presentation, which is another story in itself. Prices were higher that some of the other shops around town.

Beautiful. Plenty of great restaurants, bars and shops. Beautiful area. In season is march - october, we've visited before outside of season. Many places were closed or had reduced hours. Check hours before visiting if you have your heart set on a specific location.

We went to get our yearly Christmas ornaments. We were gifted with a festive atmosphere and one of the most beautiful sunsets. During the season, the harbor is so lively and energetic. But, I have to say, December is my favorite time. Quiet, peaceful, and fun.

Booked 3 fishing charters (Feb21st, April 1st&5th 2024) with Swoop|| had a alright time all 3times but one of the deck mates insinuated that my party didn’t tip enough like one couple did. 1st time we tipped about 20% 2nd time 23% of the charter booking cost. I personally don’t know what’s customary or average but the deck mate Oz made it clear me and my party weren’t appreciated. In away it wasn’t just Oz that made us feel unwelcome. After all that, 2 different parties spoke with us and said they will never book with them again and neither will we. Plenty of other party & private fishing charters out of the Destin Harbor. I feel we over tipped on our way out the 3rd time after that not so pleasant experience. This was my short story 🤷🏼♂️

Henderson Beach State Park is a great place to spend a day or two, with its beautiful beach, nature trail, and playground. The park is located on Emerald Coast Parkway, close to many restaurants.
I live across the street from Henderson Park and as such I go there just about every morning and walk the beach
I get Early Access so I get to see the Moon Over the beach and I get to see some really great sun rises and some sunsets.
This is a wonderfully managed State Park I particularly like Alex who always has a smile on his face. If you can get an RV campsite here you will not be disappointed. However, the campground beach access boardwalk will be closed for repairs from September 2021 through March 2022.
Still, it's spectacular and the next state park that you'd should try if you like being on the beach would be Topsail which is about 12 miles down the road but Henderson is easier and a much better day use Park.
Topsail which is further down you have to take a tram to get to the beach and I prefer being able to park and walk right over at Henderson

Absolutely the best RV site we have ever stayed in. Very private. The beach is amazing. Gorgeous and scenic. We longed to have been able to stay longer, but we could only get these 2 days for reservations. It's just too hard to get into.
We can't wait to come back.

Park seems to be very clean. Well kept fairly organized. Multiple nice pavilions to use beaches are clean and white with beautiful blue green waves. Staff was welcoming. Going to help. One of the bad things about all the Florida State parks. Dogs are not allowed on the beach. The trail for the dog is nice. Wasn’t allowed to go into the campground to check it out because we are not camping here currently.

We couldn’t believe we’ve just driven past this beautiful place dozens of times. We got there before 11am on a Saturday and it was very quiet. The beach was beautiful and we felt like we had it to ourselves for a while. The restroom and picnic facilities were very well kept. Definitely worth the six dollars for parking. We will be back.

We’ve been lucky enough to camp at Henderson twice. It’s a beautiful campground. We love the privacy of the sites. You’re not on top of one another like other campgrounds. The walk to the beach is a bit long, but so pretty! The best part is that the beach is for campers, and isn’t crowded at all. Bathhouses are kept very clean. The campground hosts were very nice! We can’t wait to return!

I finally made it to Henderson State Park. I have watch so many videos and heard how beautiful this beach is. It was hard for me to believe as some of the gulf beaches are marshy in the central area. We loved camping here, the walk to the beach was gorgeous. This might have been the nicest beach I have ever visited. The waves were a bit rough the first day (not terrible though), but then lovely and calm the next. I really enjoyed snorkeling. The water was so clear, it was perfect. The camp site was secluded, bathrooms were clean and it was a plus to have laundry machines on site. Now, to only do something about those pesky thunderstorms... we will be back!

This beach is one of the top five beaches in Destin, FL so we decided to check it out! Posted sign say $6 to park per car with 2-8 people but we were only charged $5 (maybe we got a discount because it was July 3, 2023). There was plenty of parking. As we walked down the stairway to the white sand beach all I could see was this beautiful, clear turquoise water and and the amazing blue skyline. It was a sight to see! This is such a beautiful beach with the soft white sand and clear water. It was a trip worth taking! Check it out and you’ll be implode I was! 🏖️☀️🏝️

Great Campground with easy access to the beach. We enjoyed our campsite #35. Very quiet Campground. Resrooms and showers were alwregistered. Very friendly and helpful camp hosts. This Campground was only marked down to 4 stars because of the entrance. If you leave the Campground as a registered camper you have to wait in the long line of cars to get back in. We had to run a quick errand one day and sat in the line for over 20 minutes to get back in. All other state park campgrounds have a lane for vehicles that are already regitered. It was very nice that they have extra camper parking reserved in the parking area. This was a big help because we arrived around 1:30 due to the check out time at the previous campground. We could not get checked in until 2:30 at Henderson.

State Park is one of cleanest I've ever visited. The trail and parking lot area are dog friendly but not the beach. Accessible but doesn't provide beach style wheel chairs. Beach patrol happens often enough to keep everyone safe. Great spot to take photos in the Destin area.

We brought a large number of students to review the museum and the interactive display was riveting! The students related well to the feeling of living through that time in America's not too distant past. The exhibit really carried them back in time. They understood more clearly the scope of the problems that motivated many of our ancestors to act as they did to secure their freedom. Great lessons for today's organizers. Well done!

We were in the children's wing on a field trip. I was disappointed that, although we were "riding" on Rosa Parks bus, they have information about the struggles of African Americans from 1840-1950's, which is important to know, but not much on what Rosa Parks did. It would have been nice to have footage in the video of that. They teased in the video, saying that something big was about to happen, but didn't talk about it. Instead the kids went on a scavenger hunt for info, but I don't remember that the info found was that much about Rosa, as well. I was just hoping that such an important woman would have more info about her.

Toomer's Drugs is a historic corner drugstore in Auburn that has been transformed into a charming old-fashioned soda fountain and restaurant. Established in 1896, it is renowned for its delicious lemonade and great food. Despite its name, Toomer's also offers an array of Auburn gear for sale. The efficiency of service is impressive, even during busy times, making it a popular spot among locals and visitors alike.
A tradition in Auburn you can't pass up. Stop in for the best lemonade you'll ever taste and pick up an Auburn shirt or souvenir to take home. Friendly folks here and always welcoming both locals and new fans and friends!

Get the Lemonade. It really is a good as they say. Even if the line is out the door, efficiency borders on Chick-fil-A, so give it a whirl.
Aside from that, Toomer's is an institution. Why wouldn't you go in to shop and get some lemonade? They've got sugar-free and all kinds of flavored lemonade. They've got Auburn gear for decent prices. My 15 yo son and I took full advantage.
Our only regret? We didn't get a larger size lemonade.

I don't really care for museums. But this was a very eye evening, heart wrenching, and educational visit. I'm going back tomorrow to see the rest of it. It was such a beautiful place and a great reminder of how lucky we are as a nation because of the sacrifices the men and women in uniform made for us. I would add more pictures but it's better to experience it in person. All the employees were just so kind.

So much to learn. Truly an amazing museum. Could spend hours learning and walking back in time to see the past. The artwork is stunning. The statues are life like. If you have an opportunity to visit, invite a veteran or current soldier so personal and so many real life stories. A must see on your Ft. Benning visit. It is free to see but please be generous and make a nice donation.

Great museum located at Ft. Moore, Ga. Lots of exhibits outside. There is a WWII company street that is awesome. If you’re into military history, or even just history, then this is the place for you. This museum does a great job thoughtfully covering the history of the USA Infantry from inception to modern times. The displays are amazing and the artifacts are plentiful. I really enjoyed the modern exhibit and the WWI exhibit. The entry is free but I would recommend giving a donation by either cash or card. There’s a great gift shop and food options as well. Make sure you give yourself a few hours to really be able to see everything.

Amazing! I haven't been back to Benning since the end of the 90's. This wasn't there when I was stationed or went back for training. However, we were passing through the Columbus area with our children in a family trip so, we thought we'd show them the old stomping grounds! We saw this was there now and decided to visit. Wow! This place is amazing. Plan an entire day for this. Great movies. Outside there are WW2 Barracks, a church, etc. That's open on weekends.
There are tanks, a Vietnam Memorial that's smaller but just like D.C.
Soldiers from every war and conflict are honored. I need to go back because I didn't get to walk through it all. If you show up on certain data days, you can watch a live graduation of US Army Infantry Soldiers ( why I was there). The graduation is amazing and quite moving. We actually went for a JROTC field trip, so the museum was closed to the public while we were there, but I definitely plan to return since we didn't get to see everything. The exhibits are really nice and well organized. They also have a Vietnam memorial and a War on Terror memorial outside that are very nice. They offer supplies to make rubbings from these memorials. An unplanned visit turned out to be an astonishing one. There is a lot to take in, we were there for couple hours before closing time, realized we barely covered half of it. Triggers several prominent events of history right through the artifacts.
The entire set up is incredible. You get to see most of the artilleries , gain knowledge on what US military goes through in a normal day or on a warlike situation. View the trails and techniques that were undergone in the history. They got a setup to offer near real-time experience of the conditions that US military had been through in the war.
There are heart wrenching, eye opening moments while looking at Japan flag with autographs of soldiers, saddam’s gold gun and many many more.
Staff members are so friendly and helpful at every instance.
There is a lot more to cover and would want to spare a whole day to visit again.
On top of all, there is no cost of ticket. It’s absolutely and totally FREE of cost. Just walk right in. Must visit place in GA.

Was probably the best museum I have ever been to, and our family has been to dozens of museums. I will say this, "I was so absorbed into the displays, recreation of the scenes and actual information provided that 4 hours seemed like mere minutes." It was an absolute treasure trove of information, history where even the random staff would stop and talk to you, ask questions and give you real world information of "how" the display came to the museum. Amazing job!!

We were here for a basic training graduation. The ceremony was small, inside and nice. We were able to tour the museum afterwards and I definitely recommend. My children 7 and 9yo didn't want to spend as much time as I did... but they aren't veterans. Very emotive displays/exhibits. I didn't see all of it, as I was being dragged through the lower portion. You cannot bring even water bottles inside... though, I was able to check it and pick it up as I left! Everyone was polite, professional, and knowledgeable. Worth the stop if you have any interest military, any family or friends who are veterans, or just want a little insight into some of America's history.

Drive-thru safari park with 65 types of exotic animals, plus bus tours & walking paths.
Great day trip with family. Drove our own vehicle and was never concerned about the animals. They know the routine. Kids loved feeding the deer and smaller ones while I got face to face with both buffalo. Drive slow and enjoy the animals. Buy at least 3 bags of feed pellet. Was a fun time

Overall great experience but is pretty pricey. I would suggest renting one of their vehicles instead of driving your own. We drove our own and we were fine but have preferred to have the bars that were in place on the rental vehicles. The animals were extremely aggressive (can't blame them as they are used to being fed but they are still wild animals). In your personal vehicle you have to keep your window all the way down or up which allows the animals to come pretty far into the car, where as their rentals have bars on the open windows so keeps them at a safer distance.
Jessica Marchione — Google review
We visited over 4th of July weekend and got there before lunch. There was no wait at that time. We absolutely loved the safari portion. I ended up renting one of their cars, and was very thankful I did as there was no shortage of drool from the animals and a goat jumped up onto the side of the car. Just be prepared...their cars are pretty gross since they have no windows and are left to the elements. The animals were very friendly and gentle during feeding and there were babies galore! We didn't end up going into the zoo portion (the original part of the park) because we were all too hot. Definitely spring for a bag of food for each person as there are TONS of animals to feed. We'll definitely visit again!

This is about the coolest thing my family and I experienced. We are originally from Virginia and came across a multitude of safaris but never got the chance to visit one. We were in absolute awe to see some of these animals up close. My favorite were the cows 🐄. Seeing a bison that close is absolutely unimaginable. Such beautiful creatures.
We are definitely visiting again and will rent a van next time just to be safe.

We absolutely loved the Wild Animal Safari! Our family of 5 rode on the free bus tour and I think it's the best way for everyone to enjoy it. I love that 99% of the animals are able to roam freely on the 300 plus acres (might be more than that!). The ones that are not free are animals you would not want loose. The staff was friendly and we enjoyed the young lady who gave us our tour. Our kids really loved being able to feed the animals and pet some of them too. Definitely worth a visit!

Awesome for a trip with the family! I recommend getting there close to when they open and getting a ride on the bus early. The information is good and the drivers are amusing.
After the ride through, the food court has a nice if limited selection so it's a solid option.
The walking park is short, but we enjoyed the walk through before we took one last ride on the bus tour before leaving.
It was a great day trip and the whole family enjoyed it. I'd absolutely go back again.

Introduction:
This was our first time at Wild Animal Safari in Pine Mountain, GA. We visited the safari on February 10, 2024.
Welcome: The young lady at the front desk was totally awesome!! She was patient, friendly, informative, and as sweet as she wanted to be!
Ambiance:
The weather was nice. It was clean and the animals were alert. They ran to the vehicle ready to get some tasty treats. We did not know what to expect with how it may smell but to my surprise the air was clean. The bathroom was clean!
Food:
We purchased bags of food for the animals and they loved it. We should have purchased more bags, which the young lady at the front desk suggested.
Price:
We had a group of about 12 and chose to rent the van. The van looked like a vehicle that was used in a safari in the Saharan Desert, which added a bit more realism to the adventure.
Will return:
We all agreed we would return. We were fortunate the weather was very nice for this time of year.
Stars:
Five, our entire experience was so wonderful. My son, grandson, and one of our other little friends had such a good time feeding, seeing, and interacting with the animals.
Tip:
If you go in February keep in mind the weather is a hit or miss. Please ask the cashier how many bags of food they suggest, so you will have enough to last the entire ride through the safari.
Experience: Our experience was great! I am not a animal person but I really enjoyed myself. Even my daughter who does not support places like safaris, zoos, etc. she had a nice time.
Downside: It started to drizzle a little right before we were leaving. We were fortunate because the harder rain did not come until we were back on the road heading home.
There is talking in the videos.

This was my second visit. We came for a birthday. It's a fun but expensive experience. Adults ~ $33 and food is $5-7. You want to buy food for the full experience and feed the animals. Yes, it's technically cheaper online ($29); but by the time they add the fees, it's not saving that much. Plus, you'll still have to go inside and stand in line, so online ticketing isn't saving any time.
Both times we did have awesome bus drivers. The employees inside were helpful and professional. Yesterday's bus experience nice but wasn't as great as my first time. The first time we got the giraffes and emu/ostrich to come eat from the bus. The walkabout is also included in the cost of admission, but it's underwhelming. I can see wanting to go once but not really multiple times. (Warning: Try to go to the restroom before you get here. They smell horrid and are pretty icky.)

They exceeded our expectations in every way! Rented vehicle was clean and ran great. Bought meals with tickets online and was pleased with the value as we got a free souvenir sports bottle full of drink and a complete meal. Bathrooms were large, clean, and fully operational. Pleased with the walk through portion as they had a great variety of animals. They had rules posted everywhere to respect the animals. My 3 and 1 year old children had a blast! Wonderful family environment.

What a Great family Adventure!!!
Thanks Wild Safari in Pine Mountain, Georgia for such a fun experience!!! We definitely will be back to see the walk in exhibit when you finally have it remodeled from the recent tornado !!!
Thanks for the clean Bathrooms, Comfortable Vans that were safe for us and the nice gift shop.
((( I strongly recommend you DO NOT drive your own vehicle through this exhibit ))) ..

Took two of our grandkids to the safari (ages 7 & 9) and they absolutely loved it!!! The animals are very accustomed to visitors and we're quite tame / friendly. We've lived in the general area 25+ years and never visited before. We will be back again. Only regret was getting the kids only one bag of the food each, should have gotten two bags each. It not cheap for sure but they offered a couple dollars off veterans discount and the fun the kids had was well worth the expense. We used our own vehicle with no problem at all aside from a little animal slobber on the doors, not an issue at all. Highly recommended!!!!!

What a GREAT place!! Omg, we had so, so much fun!!! Here are my suggestions: 1. Make reservations on their website (buy tickets, rent vehicle, buy feed) & "ONLY on their Website". 2. Rent the $30 car, you can go at your own pace, pull on the side to let others go around you. The free bus is a much faster trip around. 3. Do not drive your personal vehicle!! We seen people in really nice personal vehicles driving through.... I would not do this!!!! Not a smart decision. Some of the animals stand on the side of the vehicle trying to get food! 4. Purchase the 4 feed bag pack for 2 adults (see photo), they come packed in a nice bag. Each adult should have 2 bags of feed. 5. Get there early when they open. The grounds here are just beautiful & the animals are super, super friendly. It is a long drive through the safari so make sure you have enough feed. Everyone who worked there was super nice. It is an A+ place with people who really care about the welfare of these animals. Much respect to them for a well done job.

We had no idea what to expect at Wild Animal Safari but we were pleasantly surprised. We arrived just at noon and ate lunch at the cafe before we started. Then we rented a van to drive thru (very much suggest you don’t drive your car through!) We also suggest buying the food bag that has 4 cups in it. As we drove through we were greeted by many animals who wanted snacks, it was so much fun to throw the food pellets out to them. We saw zebras, buffalo, giraffe, emus, ostriches, several species of deer, elk and many more! The drive thru was great!! Then we went on the walk about and saw the smaller creatures. Out favorite there was the lemurs! Once done we hit the souvenir shop where our great granddaughter got her stuffed giraffe. We very much enjoyed our visit and will return in the future!

Loved the first time with my children and grandchildren. Three years later still the same fun. Lots of laughs and excitement from the animals and walk through exhibits. Loved the family time to share what animal and interaction everyone liked the most. Great place to visit!

So much fun! My 2 year old loved feeding the animals. I’d definitely recommend renting a van, the animals are all up on the vehicles and putting their heads in. Get more than 2 bags of food if you can bc if you’re like my family you will run through it.. Which we got 4 bags and that was perfect. I can say, they fill the bags up with food over the top so you get your moneys worth. It’s a very beautiful place and I will be coming back again since we enjoyed it so much.

We loved wild animal safari. The kids had so much fun feeding the animals. We went early in the morning. I would definitely go back. We probably spent about 1 hour there and then stopped in Pine Mountain for lunch.

We had a great time!!! We took this road trip, that included a family of 16, to celebrate our granddaughter's birthday. We contemplated renting a safari van but were able to time purchasing tickets, eating lunch, and a bathroom break perfectly, as the bus was pulling up just as we finished. Our tour guide was Jack amd he was an absolute joy. We all enjoyed interactions with the animals. Tickets and food for a party this size was costly but the pictures and memories are priceless. Overall, this was a great experience!!!

BEST SAFARI!!!!! My family and I were on vacation from Florida and found the Safari flyer in the hotel lobby. I think my wife and I had more fun than the kids, although the kids did enjoy it as well. It was so much fun we drove through twice.

We have been visiting this park for nearly 20 years. We have always loved every adventure and I got to take my own son to experience it. He LOVED IT!! He’s 2, so if you have kids around that age don’t be scared. The cars you rent can be pretty hot, so pack a mini fan if you need too.
The only complaint we had which was almost inevitable due to the animals and heat were the flies in the food court. Staff was nice and friendly. They did sustain some damage that they are still repairing from the tornadoes earlier this year. I suggest renting your van & buying tickets online! Saves you time.
Whitney Touchet — Google review
I'm not normally a as I don't really like the confinement most zoos give animals.
Despite the bad reviews from previous patrons, it seems to my wife and I that this establishment cared well for the animals.
They seemed to be free roaming and happy.
With care, your car is safe making the journey through the animal enclosures but be prepared to wash it when you get home. The animals will slobber when asking for and getting food from you.
Only the lions, for good reason, were caged. A giraffe was penned but well cared for as was a Dromedary (single-hump camel) in a separate pen.
Don't miss the many turtles in the lake near the end of the tour.

Highly recommend this place. We were there 21 yrs ago and we laughed just as much this time Nov 25, 2023 as we did then.. Its a wonderful family time!!! The animals absolutely love you feeding them..
Side note DEFINITELY RENT A VAN...

Visited here for my daughters birthday because she loves animals. She had the best time of her life. We rented a vehicle so we could travel at our own pace. I would recommend renting a car, very long lines for the buses.
On the vehicles there are bars on the windows so the animals can’t stick their heads all the way in. Do not drive your own car, if it is an option.
It took us about 2 hours to go through the entire ride. We ran out of food by the end because we couldn’t tell any of the animals no. Definitely worth it, if you’ve never been.

Excellent Family Day at Wild Animal Safari. We have kids ranging from 1 to 11 and they all had a blast. Prices were reasonable but not inexpensive. It's worth getting plenty of food. This is a VERY immersive experience. I had a giraffe put its head through my car window and eat out of my hand! We saw such a fun variety of animals. It was fantastic. Very friendly staff.

We had an amazing time . Great family trip . We all love animals . Up close and personal . We rented a van in glad we did because the animals literally try to stick their whole face and head in the vehicle. The rental vans have bars which stops them from doing so . If you take your own car their whole face and head is in your face lol. It was still amazing we pet animals that would see on tv. Amazing worth 1 hr and 45 min drive .
Customer service and staff were amazing as well.

This place was amazing! There are so many animals. I would not recommend using your own car some animals did jump up. But we had a fantastic time. There even a walkabout to see other animals. I highly recommend. One suggestion, if there were signs or a book with information about each animal we could learn about each of them too.

So we haven't visited in over a decade, due to everything from financial reasons to family tragedy. We were NOT disappointed! This is the most fun my family's had that I can remember. Feeding all the various animals was a lifetime experience, especially for our two girls. If interested they sell food and snacks on site, but we found it much easier to bring our own picnic and eat at outside tables provided. All the staff were friendly and answered all my children's million animal questions LOL. We can't recommend this place highly enough, thank you all so much! Come take a walk on the wild side!
Arthur Nicewander — Google review
We had a great time here! We went early on a Saturday in February, so the rental vans weren’t overbooked (yet). The vans are not clean, but I say that to make you think twice before using your own vehicle through the park. Some of the animals spit and jump on the vehicles, so I would highly recommend the tour bus or rental vehicle. The animal feed is worth the purchase! I’ve been to some safari’s where the animals don’t really engage or eat the food, but all of these animals were very happy to see the snacks. Watch out for the biters and get A LOT of food! Especially if you have kids because they don’t always grasp the concept of waiting, so my son was just tossing food out the windows and ran out of food close to 3/4 of the way through. It would have been sooner but we had a few people in our van that purchased a bag of feed. They have porta potty’s outside but there are clean restrooms inside. We didn’t try any of the people food. The walk about area was cool, not as “exciting” but a lot of the animals were out which was cool. Some of them looked kinda sad, but all you can hope is that they are well cared for. Read their FAQS, it was helpful for us. The kids and adults had a wonderful time on the trip!
Clarke Eads — Google review
Me & my family had a wonderful time. My kids are 4 & 2 and they really enjoyed themselves. I would caution to really monitor the food in the beginning. Because you can run out fast if it’s not portioned out correctly. The landscape was beautiful & you can tell they actually take care of the animals.
The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is due to the fact that the vans they allow you to rent are raggedy, nothing works on the inside & they are down right nasty. There are no windows so when it rains it gets wet. Someone should be in charge of atleast attempting to clean the vans.

This was mine and my momma's second time coming here but this time there was 8 of us. We had a blast especially doing the drive thru part. We rented the big van and the animals are so funny. My 6 year old niece was with us and she loved it. We drove almost three hours but just the drive thru part was worth it. Getting to feed those animals and watching them all run up to you is awesome. We loved the little piggies running all over the place. We will definitely come back!!
Callaway Resort & Gardens in Pine Mountain, Georgia is a charming destination with vast gardens, two golf courses, and multiple dining venues. The area also serves as the gateway to F.D. Roosevelt State Park and offers small-town Southern charm with quaint shops and historical significance. Visitors can rent bikes to explore the park's attractions or relax by the lake at Robin Beach. The resort also features a zip line adventure, a Birds of Prey show, and a Mountain Top Pool for sunset views.
The best place to visit and enjoy the Amazing tropical butterflies flying all around you. Beautiful trees, and plants in the room really add to a breath taking experience. A place to watch the different kinds of butterflies and learn all about them at the Day Butterfly Center.
Tons of interesting, old trees. Great walking and biking paths, and a super cool garden and tons of parking inside the park and you can feel the life all around you, very peaceful.
Great family place, lots to do.But there is so much more, like the beach, pool, golf, restaurants.
The Fantasy in Lights Christmas light show. It is a 7 mile journey through the wooded areas of Calloway. Each area has its own theme and soundtrack ,So much to see and the Christmas Village was so pretty .
The front desk staff was extremely helpful and friendly .

We've been coming to Callaway since 1981! We love the cottages and the Summer Family Adventure. What a wonderful tradition to carry on with my kid! Robin Lake has a nice beach with cabanas or umbrellas to rent. There's a pavilion with food and drink options. The Butterfly Center is always breathtaking! Not to mention the Birds of Prey show at the Discovery Center soars above the rest!

It's beautiful but a little pricey. For three adults and a 3-year-old it cost us basically $80 with a military discount. The butterfly exhibit we saw three butterflies LOL and they say that's because the sun was coming through the glass roof, I'm not sure. Kind of bummed out at that. we saw a turtle though!

I cannot say enough good things about Callaway Gardens! It's one of my favorite spots to spend the day. They offer so many fun attractions from Robin lake for swimming, pedal boats, bike rentals and plenty of bike trails. Birds of prey show is so entertaining. The butterfly center is so beautiful. The gardens are maintained so beautifully. If you're near by, it's definitely worth stopping in and spending the day.

The room was nice. The staff was helpful. The Bar had amazing food. I was not impressed with the buffet for breakfast or dinner. The property is massive. We went to see the lights and I must say it was worth it. I'd like to go back in the spring or summer to look at the gardens.

Hands down, the best customer service experience we've had in YEARS! The entire staff from the valet, front desk, grounds keepers, restaurant servers, and cleaning staff... Everyone was incredibly social and friendly! Our room was modern, bright, and gorgeous! The breakfast in the dining room was phenomenal! My husband was a major fan of the waffles and hasn't stopped talking about them, even weeks after our stay! And the Butterfly exhibit was like walking into another world. Our ONLY complaint was that the website and all of their marketing boasts about all the lakes and all the fishing you can do but we were told at EVERY lake that it was "private property and no fishing was allowed". We were only allowed to fish out of the lake next to the beach. One area, about 25 yards of shoreline. That's it. We caught two fish in three days of fishing. But the scenery and the entire experience was still 1000% worth it! We will definitely be back but we'll probably leave the fishing gear at home.

A beautiful place year round. Great for families, dates, hiking, biking, the whole deal. Butterfly pavilion is beautiful and beach is a lot of fun. The only complaint is the putt putt has seen better days. Needs an update or honestly removal for a playground extension on my opinion..
Have never personally stayed in the on-site lodging so can't say much in that area.
Bottom line, I highly recommend.

I had never been to the Callaway Resort and decided to celebrate my birthday there this weekend. We stayed at the lodge in a very spacious room. The resort far exceeded our expectations! From the live band on the beach, to the gorgeous lakes, the putt-putt golf course, antique car show, hot air balloons, butterfly pavilion, ‘bird of prey’ show, and the spectacular nightly fireworks…this resort did not disappoint! We are already planning to bring the entire family to the Xmas light display this fall. Callaway is A++

I took my kids to the gardens and pumpkin for the afternoon. It was so pretty and fun. I definitely would go again and spend more time in the gardens. We enjoyed the butterfly area and the bugs life trail. We also went to the evening pumpkins and had so much fun. We enjoyed the corn maze and the night time festivities. I would love to go again to the pumpkins too. I definitely recommend if you have the time to go.

Always a great time with the family! We saw the raptor show, which was nice despite it having to end early due to wild raptors (osprey) in the vicinity. The butterfly house is a really fun experience for kids and adults. The buffet at the Lodge was varied and tasty. There are also lots of nice trails for walking or biking.

My family and I go for the festivities and the park. My son loves to play at the park and meet new buddies. The scenery and flowers are breathtaking especially in the spring. They do honor our military with discounts. It’s especially exciting during the holidays which is the most favorite time of the year. I can’t wait to see what’s new for Christmas Fantasy in Lights. We rented a cabin with some friends and we had a blast and it was quite relaxing.

Callaway Gardens is a pretty well-kept secret day trip destination a little more than an hour away from Atlanta. Springtime visits are glorious, with more varieties of azaleas in bloom from early March through late May than can be counted. There is also an incredible native wildflower trail that allows up close and personal experiences with numerous varieties and another walking trail devoted to a stunning collection of mature rhododendrons. Numerous lakes, trails, golf courses, and scenic drives are also found within the gardens. My favorite stop within the gardens is the Ida Cason Callaway Chapel - a jewel of a chapel with gorgeous stained glass windows built beside another of the numerous lakes. Other highlights are the Butterfly Center and the Discovery Center. The Lodge and Spa at Callaway has been thoughtfully placed within a wooded setting and has the potential to be a lovely and luxurious getaway. There are some kinks to be worked out for full potential to be reached there. The gardens are so worth the drive from Atlanta, especially in springtime.

Fantasy In Lights is outstanding! The huge sea of lights and mega-tree and the tunnel at the end made our visit enchanting. The lights deserve a 5-star review, but I'm knocking the overall review to a 4 due to the before and after show experience.
Before being allowed to drive through, vehicles are staged in groups out in a grassy field. The access to this area was a bit "rugged" by the time we went last week since it was raining and there was insufficient gravel in the right places to make the drive easy. I have a sedan that bottomed-out a few times on the rough road.
The FIL experience is great, with the roads throughout the Gardens being well paved.
When it came to leaving, we didn't need to go see the activities at the beach, so we followed the blinking Exit sign rather than the Parking sign. What a mistake! We were directed onto another muddy, rutted road over the fields leading to the exit. I almost didn't make it out as I got a little stuck at the end. My car was a filthy mess with mud caked in the wheel wells and along the doors. My advice to others is that you should follow the Parking signs (which keep you on the paved road) and then exit the parking lot directly to the ext.

We stayed in the lodge in a very nice room but could hear everything in the room next door, including their alarm clock at 5:15 am. The service is outstanding, particularly in the Piedmont dining room. We had breakfast there both days, good food and great people. The butterfly center is amazing! If you want to rent a golf cart to tour the grounds an online reservation is required. It was going to cost us $300 for a 4-seater so we drove our car instead. The gardens and the grounds in general are awesome!

This place amazing. The people were so freindly. The attraction were spectacular. Would definitely recommend. Will definitely be back and absolutely tell everyone. God bless Yall keep up the amazing work!! There is an older distinguished gentleman working at the butterfly exhibit. He’s in my last picture with the green polo. He was so friendly and knowledgeable. He’s been there for 16 years and it’s clearly shows he loves where he’s at. Thank you for such and amazing experience. I had one questionable experience. When loading for the trolley my 80 yr old granny could have been let through the exit instead of making her walk around. She was clearly disabled and struggled. But it was a great experience and we managed. Again thanks you and see yea soon!!!!

Went during October and December. I definitely by far recommend going in October. If you are someone who wants to have a magical date or outing with your family the fall season is the best time to go.
Aside from the weather being much more pleasant, the decorations felt much more exciting. It had me and my partner take a second loop around! The food trucks weren’t anything to write home about but the atmosphere definitely will give you those cozy fall vibes.
The corn maze in the dark is like a party, the trolley ride around the lake is nostalgic and the little plaza outside of the corn maze with the live music, overhead lights, games, food and gift shop was something we DIDNT get in December and missed ): the lights during October beat out the Fantasy Lights by a long shot and the gift shop theme is a fall lovers dream. I would recommend this over the December tickets for sure,

If you're looking to play golf here I suggest trying to find somewhere else. Both golf courses are in horrid shape. The greens have very scarce grass and multiple ones are covered with at least 50% sand. Many of the tee boxes are no better. Some bunkers have so much sand that you sink to your ankles whereas others have very little and you can see the liner underneath.
I had not played the mountain course in months and had heard they had a new greenskeeper so I was hopeful to see some better conditioning happening. This is not the case. I can't believe this place used to be a tour destination in the late '90s and early 2000s. Not sure what has happened or is happening but it's going to take a lot of time and effort to get this place looking somewhat better for play. Certainly not worth the $80 green fee they are commanding. I'd say it's no better than a $30 golf course as it sits right now.

Right now it’s awful
Rude employees
Everything tore apart and destroyed
We bought annual passes and they closed butterfly center finally after 2 months reopened it and we liked it better before
Now they tore down restrooms and area where we’ve spent MANY years and they’re making a mess….
More catering to alcohol etc than families
We went to see the symphony and were treated horribly…
Spent over $300.00 dollars
I think it might be time to go elsewhere
I promise to tell everyone of our experience!
On the good side …
The Orchestra was GREAT!

We enjoyed a great two night stay in an Overlook Room. The accommodations were spotless and very comfortable. The hot water supply is excellent which was nice for the spa tub. The bed is very comfortable. A Keurig coffee maker is in the overlook rooms. We brought our own pods. We dined both nights at the lodge with excellent service and well prepared dinners. Wine and beer are sold by the bottle. Wine $20/bottle. Breakfast was delicious! The staff is primarily young adults. They have been trained well in guest services. Every staff member we encountered was friendly, polite, well mannered, and enthusiastic. It was very refreshing. We did not zip line but enjoyed watching. We walked several trails and enjoyed the scenery and peaceful surroundings. We were there off season so I can’t comment on crowds. We will return!

This place is amazing. We did the Big Daddy package and stayed in a tree house. The tree houses are amazing. But if you get any kind of motion sick then get a cabin instead. They do move and sway. Dinner was over the top awesome. I just wish they had a regular resteraunt that you could sit down and order whenever you are hungry. But hey, what they have is very good. You can't have it all. The staff was amazing. The guides and the zip line tours are so much fun. I was very nervous at first, but by the third zip line, I was confident and had tons of fun. I would definitely recommend Banning Mills 100%. We are already planning our next trip.
My only regret was leaving.
Lots of really fun activities and trails to explore. You can't get bored.

We did a cooperate retreat at Banning Mills. Christy was fantastic at helping us plan everything out and giving helpful suggestions. The food exceeded our expectations!! We had steak the first night. The zip-lining tour was amazing. We had 2 fabulous guides and got to experience Banning Mills from the treetops. Half of our group did the ATV cars and the other half did horseback riding. Both of these adventures were so much fun. The guides did a great job and were very knowledgeable. The work/conference room met all our needs. Banning Mills provided all the items we needed to meet, along with beverages and snacks. We would highly recommend Banning Mills, you will not be disappointed!!

Me and my friends went here for her birthday to do zip lining and had an amazing time!!! The guides are really friendly and funny. I was really scared at first but the guides were reassuring and encouraging and helped me relax. The location is beautiful and the view from the lines was amazing. Definitely an amazing experience and worth the money. We did level one and two. Level one was the perfect warm up and level two was the perfect amount of thrill for someone like me who’s never done anything like this before. Nice way to get out in nature and get in some physical activity. Shout out to our guides Aidan and Gary!!!

We had a fantastic experience at the Banning Mills zip lines. The staff was super friendly and they do a great job of guiding you through everything. We did the level 1 & 2 courses and it was a blast. We got through pretty quickly since there ended up being only 2 of us in the group (just over 1hr). Our guides took great photos of us throughout the experience. Would highly recommend for a group, team, or family fun day out. The course was mildly physically intensive, so appropriate for parents and even active grandparents. The equipment and the course itself were in good shape and well maintained.

We did the Two Springs zip line tour with Josh and Austin and they were amazing. They put everyone at ease with their knowledge and humor. They were easy-going and super energetic but kept everyone safe and comfortable. I don’t think we’d do it again without specifically requesting them to be our guides. Completely recommend Banning Mills, the zip line tours, and (especially) Josh and Austin!

We stayed in a tree house and did the Level 4 Zip-lining with the Flight of the Falcon add on. It was better than we could have expected! Service is top notch! Their attention to detail is superior and they make everyone feel comfortable and safe as they explain everything and really emphasize directions along the route all while making the whole experience an absolute blast! I highly recommend and already have friends going to give it a try! We'll definitely be back and explore some more adventures! Thank you!

Perfect fall adventure weekend with our kids! Absolutely beautiful views. Low stress with a great staff dedicated to making it an enjoyable time. Big thank you to Charlie and Hayden who's professionalism, expertise and enthusiasm guided me, my wife, our 14 year old son and 12 year old daughter thru 6 hours of zip lines and bridges that culminated through the level 4 coarse to include the Rogue River and Flight of the Falcon lines! The lodging is unique. We stayed in a tree house and though the accommodations are minimal, they are all you need and neatly nestled into nature. If you want an adrenaline releasing adventure in a beautifully tranquil outdoor setting that gives you the best Georgia has to offer, this is for you. The lodge is breathtaking and the history of Banning Mills is fascinating! Do not pass up an opportunity to experience this gem!

We took an annual planning trip here with our team, and it was beautiful! We enjoyed the ziplining, Mainly because of the tour guides Taylor and Charlie, they made things so much fun! The beauty this place has is unmatched. The rooms are great. They have good views and convenient location to everything around. We also enjoyed horseback riding with Laura. It was an amazing experience. We will definitely be back for another visit! The food was great! We thoroughly enjoyed our experience there.

Our family went for the zip line course and it was great! The staff and guides were awesome and the kids had a blast. The main lodge and all of the cabins looked like a ton of fun if you're staying there (which we will be when we go back).

I came here this spring and we had the best time! The office staff were so amazing shout out to Darren for making us feel so welcome, for telling us all the "best" spots, and for being so kind. Zach was also great and our zip line guides were great, and the food was awesome. Such a great place with the best staff and I was so excited to explore the area!

My husband and I just returned from a last-minute weekend getaway. I am so glad we found Banning Mills. Every staff member was extremely nice and helpful. Our first night there we went to the 6 course Valentines Dinner****WORTH EVERY PENNY!! Hiking the next day with a picnic lunch they prepared with enough food for the day. We cannot wait to visit again and bring the kids with us for a great family trip.

Visited here today and had the best time. My wife and I were welcomed at the Main Lodge and were immediately impressed with the beauty of the place. The staff at the front office were very polite and professional, kind and helpful.
Took the Nature Trails and visited the old Mill Ruins. Love the hiking trails! The markers helped to keep us on track. In the end, we had a great day out and we’re happy we got to spend it here. We will be back! I’m sure of it!

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Historic Banning Mills. We stayed in a cabin close to the lodge and while it was nice looking inside and the bed was comfortable the lighting in the bathroom and shower was weaker than I would have liked.
The grounds are gorgeous, the lodge is lovely and the breakfast was very good! We will certainly be going back again!

The horse ride and the games were fun. The zip line and instructions were nice and through. Breakfast was nice and dinner was great. The bison dinner was delicious and the fish was great. I would pass on the spring rolls they was not great at all. The beds were nice but they had putting two twin beds together to make a big Bed and we kept rolling in the middle of it. Still an wonderful time

We won a stay in a Pine Log Cabin with a 4 course meal, and it was AMAZING from start to finish!
The dinner was probably one of the best meals we've EVER had, the staff were all lovely and so helpful, the cabin was beautiful inside and out, and it was such a peaceful/romantic location! We had the best time hiking the trails, taking the suspension bridge, playing mini-golf, and befriending the local cat. It was just the rest and relaxation surrounded by such beautiful wildlife/scenery that we needed! ♡

I went zip-lining for the day years ago and the whole experience was amaaaazing! We had very nice guides and the views are just amazingly breath-taking!! I loved going 55mph over the water… it was so freeing and exhilarating! It was my first time, so I was a little anxious but they explain everything to you and you feel very confident right away! The cottages are so cozy and would be perfect for a weekend away up in the mountains! Definitely would recommend checking this place out!! I was just thinking about scheduling another visit down there!!!!

Went to go ziplining and after having to walk across the bridge to the first line, I chickened out but my boyfriend and his cousin had the time of their life's. For starters they the stuff we're very accommodating as we were walk-ins and had missed the last group that would have been able to do all four levels. The boys really liked that each level had multiple lines to ride at different heights. I loved the that instructors were very fun and caring when I chickened out. We also loved that you can purchase cameras to record the full experience and that they took pictures along the way. Five stars doesn't do the justice for the full experience. This is a 10 out 10 and we will be back to finish the fourth level and go horseback riding.

We enjoyed zip lining with Charlie and Mackenzie yesterday! I was very nervous about walking across that first bridge and they encouraged me so much that before the end I was walking across more confidently. I actually made it to the 4th level and enjoyed it! Now we just have to get my husband up there! 😂

My husband and I stayed at Banning Mills last weekend after our micro-wedding with our families. Upon arrival the park was clean and busy. There were activities going on all around us, and despite how busy it was the staff was still patient, kind, and attentive. The instructions about our stay they we received when we checked in were clear and easy to follow. The cabin we stayed in was clean and was the perfect little spot for us. We enjoyed a nice view from our cabin porch and were nestled in perfect location to the lodge. The breakfast that came with our stay was delicious, far more impressive than any hotel breakfast we would've gotten elsewhere. After checking out the morning after our last stay, we enjoyed a zipline tour with Matt and Cyril. They were such fun guides and were really personable. We actually talked with them so much we discovered we went to high school with some mutual friends! Thank you so much to the staff at Banning Mills for making our stay so memorable. The laid back vibe of the park was exactly what my husband and I needed after wedding week! Can't wait to be back!

The guides were so friendly and helpful. They took photos the entire trip and sent them to my email for free! I’ve done other zip lining tours before in different states but this place was the best! My kids ages ten and eleven who did the extreme tour are already begging to go back again! Must do! Fun!

My daughter and I did the level 3 zip-line adventure and had a fantastic time. We had never been zip lining before and our guides Nate and Jacob did a great job instructing us. They were knowledgeable and humorous and we felt safe the whole time. We loved soaring through the trees and taking in all the beautiful views of the gorge. We will be back to try the level 4 adventure. We highly recommend Banning Mills for your next outdoor excursion. They have so many activities to try in addition to zip-lining. Plus they have some really neat looking lodging options if you’re looking to spending a night or two to take in all they have to offer. Good time for sure! Thanks again to Nate and Jacob for a fun afternoon.

Thanks Banning Mills!

We did the 1 hour trail ride by horse. We didn't stay on site. I will say the facility is well kept. The horse was great and recommended. The cabins were unique by design and looked clean. The long bridge high above the creek was a great surprise. Zip lining and wall climbing were available and looked fun. We'll likely return to try something else😁

Wow, what an incredible experience! Trevor at check-in and throughout our stay was extremely friendly and more than accommodating. Taylor was our guide on the Swin tour, so friendly and knowledgeable. Catherine was amazing, service was spot-on and she was so pleasant and charming. The entire staff was incredibly friendly.
Our room and surrounding scenery was quiet and serene.
Dinner was prepared perfectly, the wild boar and bison were perfect and the best mashed potatoes I've ever had.

We have been coming here for years every Spring Break since our daughter was 9 (now 14). She requests to go here every year. She started out on the Crazy Squirrel at 9 and has moved up every year to complete everything this year. The Flight of the Falcon this time! Our whole family loves this place and the staff and guides are exceptional! I highly recommend this place to all ages.
The cabins are rustic, so do not expect luxury (lol) but the views are great and the hikes are as the best.

My family and I went for our first time adventure this past Thursday. Our guides were Charlie and Mackenzie and Gabe was training with us. I was extremely nervous but they all made it a smooth, fun, exciting adventure that we would all do again. Charlie is super outgoing and fun while Mackenzie is easy going, yet meticulous in her steps to ensure safety. We will all definitely come again. A special shout out to Gabe for breaking my stop once when learning to break!
It’s just really hard for me to wrap my head around all this but Sarah who works there, really helped to give us information. We watched the 27 minute movie in the theater and how I withheld my tears, I don’t know, it is so powerful and so sad. Here in AMERICA! Some say it will happen again.
I WOULD RECOMMEND

A sobering and emotional heart-wrenching display of human cruelty toward POWs of past wars. Former Senator and POW, John McCain, was mentioned a number of times. The fact that former President Trump called John McCain a "loser" because he was a POW greatly diminishes all of the souls that are mentioned in this museum. SAD.
Bryan B. — Google review
Very nice museum. Covers the history of POW's throughout all of the US wars. All of the water features were turned off the day we visited.

Pleasantly surprised at how well the museum was done and the grounds upkeep. The short film was worth it although it is quite depressing. The only negative was that some of the exhibits were too dark to see. I understand that it was meant to create a mood, but it was a little frustrating not to be able to read things. All in all, very impressed

We have been a couple of times. It's such an incredible but sad museum. Highly recommend taking the time to read everything and be humbled by what we as humans have endured. Bless America, and we shall never forget those that served and continue to serve. The grounds are beautiful and can take a little bit of time to walk, so come with plenty of time to walk around or drive around as both can be done with parking throughout some of the drive to get down and read.

You need to see this place and how the P.O.W flag and honors started because of this place.
You've never been touched like you will here. Someone said 45 minutes tops in here. We spent 4 hours there, and I could have stayed longer.

This museum is phenomenal. There is a 28 minute movie with POWs from wars of different eras. There is an extensive display of photos, videos, actual letters, etc. to review. This is a not miss museum and you could spend a couple of hours. There is no charge, but I do recommend a donation. The staff, especially Ann and her husband from Texas, are knowledgeable and friendly.

With the location at the Andersonville POW camp, this is a solemn place. The museum is well put together and provides amazing insight into the trials of Americans that have been POWs throughout the history of our country. Add it to your itinerary if anywhere close.
J L — Google review
Something everyone should see. What the minute Anderson lived through and died in is a true tale of suffering for the freedom of others.
If your soldier this should be required, and if you have a kid who wants to go into the military they need to see this as well to understand the seriousness of what they are about to undertake

Visiting the National Prisoner of War Museum was a truly unforgettable experience. Nestled within the serene grounds of the Andersonville National Historic Site, this museum offers a poignant and educational journey through the experiences of American prisoners of war throughout history.
The museum's exhibits are meticulously curated, providing a comprehensive look at the hardships and sacrifices endured by POWs, from the American Revolution to the present day. Walking through the galleries, I was deeply moved by the personal stories, artifacts, and interactive displays that shed light on the resilience and courage of these individuals.
One of the highlights of my visit was the solemnity of the National Prisoner of War Memorial, a striking tribute to the thousands of American servicemen and women who have been held captive during times of conflict. The serene surroundings and reflective atmosphere made for a truly moving experience.
Overall, I highly recommend a visit to the National Prisoner of War Museum for anyone interested in learning more about this often-overlooked aspect of American history. It's a sobering reminder of the sacrifices made by those who have served our country and a testament to the enduring spirit of the human soul.
Georgia Tour Company - Senoia (home of The Walking Dead) offers a thrilling experience for fans of the hit TV show. Visitors can explore the charming downtown area, filled with antique shops, boutiques, and restaurants. The company's Senoia on the Big Screen Tour takes guests to iconic filming locations from The Walking Dead. While filming sites are restricted, there's a chance to spot cast members during the filming season.
We took the two hour walking tour and it was amazing! Our guide, Kiersten, was fabulous. She knows her trivia and made everything so interesting and fun. We will be back and definitely will book the longer tours with Ga Tour Company! Thanks!

My daughter and I had the best time on all three of our tours! We did the scavenger hunt in town which afforded us the opportunity to visit many of the local stores and see what all Senoia has to offer. We also did the walking tour in town and had the best tour guide, Will. Finally, we took the west bus tour on which Wendy and her husband were a hoot! We learned so much about The Walking Dead and enjoyed the sights and information very much. Thank you for giving us these opportunities.

Lovely tour guide named Jan, very knowledgeable about everything TWD. Brought our 9 & 11yr old kids and she made it enjoyable for the whole family. We were able to go inside what was left of the wall. Windmill and church were already gone, but we were able to see Deanna's, Rick's, Carol's, and Aaron's houses. I would 100% recommend using Georgia Tour Company to see behind the scenes of The Walking Dead!

HAVE A BLAST!!! Mrs. is a big fan and loved the walking tour through and around town. It brought back so many wonderful memories of earlier episodes. And yes, she'd toss me for Rick in a heartbeat 💓. They also gave us some pointers for other locations where the pharmacy and bar shootout scenes were located, and the gentlemen that owned the second hand store had left the fake blood on the floor and were gracious enough to pose with a very scary Zombie (my wife) for a laugh and an unforgettable experience.
