It's a really good park if you just wanna kick back and relax. You can play Frisbee Golf. The park is super clean well maintained and kept up. Pretty sunsets with great views

Very pretty. Nice hiking. Lots of birds and animals to see. Some water features that you could walk down to. Overall it was a very enjoyable day I had at this area. Saw some people with dogs so you can walk them there. And there are some people picnicking by the creek.

We were looking for PickleBall courts and found these. They were nice and clean. Other players were friendly and didn’t get bothered if the ball accidentally entered their court.

Very nice park; several areas worth at least two separate playground, lots of pavilions, a Disc Golf Course, walking trails, etc. Absolutely the cleanest and best smelling restroom I have ever seen in a public park.

Very beautiful walk area. Great disc golf. With a nature area. People get really offended at this park if you have a large dog off leash. Small dogs who cares. But my Great Danes seem to offend Karen’s. Work out area play ground covered eating area ball fields it’s got it all along with a creek my Danes love

Bathrooms were rather lacking, the fields are 300 ft, and the dugouts have no shade. However, the staff is friendly, it's a beautiful spot, and plenty of trees.

The cleanest, most well maintained park in Tulsa. The perfect place to go to escape into nature. The staff are friendly and hard working. We appreciate all that they do, even working Fathers day of 2023 to keep the park beautiful and safe.
Thank you guys!

Beautifully-maintained park. Great work BA! Visitors are even conscientious and respect rules and expectations of a public place. Tulsa and Bixby Parks could learn a ton emulating this municipal gem.

We had a really great time over here at the park, they have 2 different playgrounds, park is roomy enough for the kids to play soccer. Park was clean. I personally loved the scenic view. We will definitely be back.

Very nice park. Good for runners. It would be awesome if it was a little bigger

This place has a great walking path. It is very fine chat (cinder?) and I find it very easy on the feet. I go out of my way to walk at this park. It also seems hugely popular for frisbee golf and dog walking.

We had a great picnic, the ants were even there! I think it would be nice if there were another playground for the kids it's a bit crowded on the weekends!!!

I got married here 14th of October 2022. Bestest day of my life. Today is my first day back. Sitting under the same tree we married at. He’s left me now. (Not dead) I still love him endlessly. I’m talking to him as if he’s in the tree. This park will forever hold a place in my heart !
The Hard Rock Hotel and Casino provides comfortable accommodations, plenty to do and a high degree of luxury.
I love it. My Mom loves to bring me here, she always has great rewards like free food & rooms. She disabled & last time they didn't have a disabled room they upgraded us to an awesome suite & also you're required you're room key to get the elevator to work so less chance of sneaky thieves. The staff is great, bars are everywhere (expensive) but yummy drinks. Buffet is like 35 a person but rewards on your card add up fast. Shark Tank is our favorite machine. Different music in different sections of the casino floor & non smoking sections. Rewards add up fast so call & see what you got. Friendly staff, really amazing bartender ladies, rooms have Dove toiletries. Wheel Chair ramps for access to anywhere we needed to go. Didn't go to the spa, the pool, or any concerts so no idea how those would be but I know they have great bands & my favorite comedians every weekend. Follow the signs for Hotel Check-in if you have a room it's a long walk if you come in the front casino.

Had a good time, wasn’t too busy for us, only downfall is they only allowed one of the fishbowl margaritas at a time. 🙄
One of the nicest casinos I’ve been too. Staff was friendly and attentive. For the casino being not very packed the parking lot was full (no show concert/live show) so have your walking shoes on. (It’s not terrible but I know my parents wouldn’t be willing to walk the distance I had to park.)

Had a great time here. Only had one negative experience. The night shift desk manager was very rude. We went to the pool when we came back our key cards did not work. You have to use your key card to get to your floor of the hotel. Security measures make you use an ID to get a new card that is fine however, we just came from the pool so did not have an ID. Security walks you to your room to verify again no problem however Security walks me back down and confirms the ID and the manager still would not make me new key cards because again I did not have my ID. I asked the security guard if I needed to bring it with me back to the desk and he said no because he confirmed. The front desk manager again was very rude and refused to make me key cards for my room. Again the elevator will not work unless you have a working key card. Eventually we were able to get one working key card. The hotel is clean and surprisingly does not smell like smoke even though the majority of the casino floor is smoking allowed. The food at the food court is amazing and reasonably priced. We did not get to try the buffet as it is only open Thursday to Sunday and we were here on a Tuesday. The staff outside of the one manager was super friendly and very helpful. The bell hop was fun and even gave a little history while taking our things to our room and then again to our car. Definitely will stay here again. As much as I appreciate the extra security measures I do hope they can correct the night managers attitude.

Was only in for a little while. Was not smoky at all. Did not smell like some of the others.
It did not appear to be a family friendly place. We were looking to grab a bite to eat with our teenage daughters. I thought the Jard Rock might offer a cool experience. Signs posted everywhere "21 and older".
I stayed only a bit but will definitely be going back.

My family booked a room 3 weeks prior to our stay for a room with two double beds. We were never informed that you aren’t guaranteed your room or sleeping preference type. Upon arrival and check in we found our room to be a king. Having three occupants we were a little confused at the very least. We go back down to the check in and lobby just to be told Room type isn’t guaranteed and we could have a roll away bed brought up. This is acceptable only because the third party was eleven. A discount was offered but the point being why book rooms you don’t have? Very displeased! Excuses were that there was an event for the weekend in the hotel, that has absolutely nothing to do with my 3 week earlier booking.
Update.. went to bed after a good night on the gaming floor and great service at Track5. To find the bed is completely collapsed in the middle. My Wife slept l on the roll away with the kid and I slept very little in the chair!!! The bed is un-sleep able!!! Wow what a joke! Shower was an ADA accessible bathroom and the shower head hit me in the belly button!!!

Love going to hard rock. Great food and atmosphere. Absolutely love hard rock live, it's a great venue for concerts and events. My one big complaint is they don't offer valet parking. As a disabled person there is no parking close and without valet parking it's hard to walk the distance to get in. I was told no one wants to work so they can't offer it, but the other two casinos offer valet.

Stayed here while traveling and it was one of our favorite hotels. Very upscale. We were traveling to get RV repairs and there is a shuttle to take you to and from the RV parking lot. The staff were very helpful and the security was top notch. You need a key card to even go in the elevator. Which I loved and so did my children. Normally casino hotels smell like cigarette smoke, but it wasn't that way. My kids have been asking to stay at another hard rock ever since.

Always a good time! Usually, there is plenty of up but also down. Great cocktails lead to a free spirit and the up gets given back. The rooms ($$$) are sumptuous but we rarely stay there unless a comp is involved. When I have, the front desk folks are very patient and helpful in getting a free spirit to the room in the wee hours.

We stayed in the Hard Rock Hotel on Presidents’ Day, our neighbors came and knocked on our door because they heard music. Called my African American friend who was also listed as a guest, the N word multiple times. So I told them to not come over to our hotel room anymore and they started getting aggressive. The lady was also being aggressive towards my lady guest friends. Very embarrassing for anyone having a guest over for a “fun” night.
Then when the security came they went straight to the older racist men’s door first. Received his side of the story first. Didn’t even really want to hear me out. Probably because I’m a younger man and the racist men were much older. The security then made us to stay in our room and wait for over a half hour because of the situation! When I attempted to go back down the casino floor they said no I had to wait. At the point we just wanted to leave, we felt uncomfortable with the way the security handled the situation. We felt uncomfortable with the way our neighbors spoke to us. I had already spent over $1000 that night and was ready to enjoy the pool before more fun for the night at the BJ tables. Completely ruined by the random people AND the Hard Rock staff who honestly felt like were siding with the racism taking place. Never again will I return to this property or spend another dollar with this company.

My wife and I, the first time here, was so great. We came for a book event. When we first entered, I noticed the wonderful clean smell of the hotel. We stayed one night here, and it was amazing. I loved the time and experience here. The casino and restaurant were great and delicious. I can only say the only thing I did not like was the casino was a smoking one, but I respect it. We didn't win, but we had a blast here. We can't wait for a future visit.

The hotel was beautiful, clean, and well kept. Staff was polite. Once we got up to the hotel floor no sound from the casino floor. Nice and quiet. Hwy66 Cafe was delicious. The casino was clean and entertaining. The music was awesome. The dj's during the evening were extremely good and so was the live bands.
P-nut — Google review
We came for a concert and decided to stay on-site. The room was just okay; there wasn’t anything remarkable and I’ve had better experiences at a Holiday Inn for less money. If you are a non-smoker, the lingering smoke in the hallway from the casino and the smell used to mask it can be a bit overpowering. We ate dinner at the buffet and again it was just okay. For the $31.75 per person I have had much better food at a chain restaurant.

I love the Tulsa Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. I try to come back as often as I can. Here's why:
✅ Everyone here is super nice
✅ The food is pretty good!
✅ The non-smoking section is so good that, most of the time (as long as smokers don't come waltzing through) you can't even tell that parts of casino are smoker friendly.
✅ The rooms are much less pricey than some of the rooms in other casino hotels or full service hotels.
✅ They give you a warmed chocolate chip cookie when you check in!
✅ The casino itself is the most well done multi-use space I've ever seen. The music fades in/out properly as you move through the space without clashing. There's always something to look at.
✅ There are a lot of different amenities so you don't have to leave the grounds.

As a casino there is a lot of variety as regarding slot machines. Do NOT go there expecting to win big ( it happens but not often )...to break even is a triumph! There are a lot of card tables. Great restaurants. Superior entertainment shows if that is your thing. Dance floors. A great place to get away from it all. But bring only money you can afford to lose. If you hit a jackpot....make damn sure you leave with it 😆. As stated earlier: Consider yourself lucky if you break even. Why only 4 stars and not 5? Because it seems the odds of winning are pretty low there! So be cautious about seeking that elusive winning machine.

I love this casino. People are great and employees are great too. Everybody always seems so happy with big smiling faces. Rooms here are beautiful and super big even for just a one bed. The workout room is one of the best I have ever seen and the pool is pretty great too...good place all around...

We had a room in the Hard Rock Tower and it was wonderful.. furnishings are great, shower was great.. wonderful view also. We were there to visit and also for a small engagement party for my son. I love the DJ and the music . Lots of dancing

Christmas dinner wasn't bad but we were disappointed. Food wasn't even warm more room temp instead of hot. It was a bit on the expensive side for this meal and the pork chops they offered were extremely dry! Like boot leather! We didn't even try the turkey for the same reason.
Our biggest complaint is the restaurant is right next to the smokers gambling, so all the smoke blows into the dining area as you eat. It was choking and the smoke was heavy and thick. Not exactly a pleasant dining experience with breathing that while trying to taste your food! They need to move the smokers to another building or eliminate them, children are dining in this area as well.
To make matters worse their nonsmoking area is at the top level above the smoking area! I was surprised at how they arranged it. While it was a bit easier to breathe up there you could still tell the smoke odor reaching that area too. We would love to go back and see the whole casino and play, but until they eliminate the smoking so you can breathe easier the probability is no.

Where to check-in is a little complicated for the hotel. Overall the staff is extremely helpful. The rooms are very nice. Highly recommend the suites. We went with the All-Suite Tower King Suite. If you do get a suite, make sure to ask where to go to find the elevators to get to your room. The rooms are super clean and very nice. The king-size bed is very comfortable, and the walk-in shower is huge. Not to mention, they provide robes in the room and fresh cookies with check-in. Hard Rock in Tulsa will definitely be at the top of my list for future stays.

I have not been to hard Rock in Oklahoma and at least 5 years. It's like I step back in time most of the machines are very dated. The crowd was our age 70 80 very very busy for very early on a Monday. Because you're so few of people it was not smokey as I vividly remember the last time I was there. Limited food availability but there is a I believe 66 Cafe the food in there was absolutely the best very abundant portions very reasonable price and we enjoyed our meal. Had some luck at the machines but my partner did very well. Question is will we go back very likely I discovered while I was there that it was no longer owned by Harris corporation I believe it was actually now owned or managed by Cherokee. That does not sit well with me cuz Cherokee all eight of their casinos that I have visited I have yet to win ever.

It was a great experience passing through towards the airport. Next time I hope to stay in a room and actually try my hand at the gambling. The environment was a little loud which is to be expected with giveaways happening over the loud speaker hourly. Staff were well trained and friendly. Self serve drink locations around various points to refuel. Open bars as well as good areas to eat within casino areas. Bathrooms clean and well sound boxes to create a more calm, quiet environment if feeling over stimulated. I really enjoyed the brief stay here. Will most certainly join again.

I have only stayed in a one of the suites. So I can only speak for those rooms but I loved the room. The bed was super comfortable & inviting with plenty of fluffy pillows and comforter. There was a Jacuzzi bathtub & separate standing shower. The room had a living room with a great view along with the bedroom. On the opposite wall from the bed was a mounted flat screen TV. On each side of the TV were window seats that went to the ceiling, an excellent place to set and enjoy the view.

Overall a good experience. The rooms were good and clean. The only small gripe was the water pressure out of the shower head, which I'm sure is just caused by hard water buildup.
All the staff were friendly and the non-smoking part of the casino was very nice. We ate at the diner part for dinner which did take a significant amount longer to get our order for some reason but the waitress was nice. It was just slow getting our food out.
The lunch buffet on Saturday is a very good deal price wise if you ask me and the selection is good.
We were happy with our stay and I can see going back in the future.

Nice casino. Free soda! That in itself is worth 5 stars. Good games. Lots of amenities. People in poker room were awesome. And like any Hard Rock it's awesome to walk around and look at the memorabilia...especially if you like country!

Excellent location right off the freeway. Once inside the casino it's easy to lose yourself. The layout of the casino sort of wraps around making it seem as if it goes on forever. Every time I thought I had reached the end there was another room or extension (I actually got lost for a bit). The staff was friendly but the slot machines were rather tight. Overall it was a pleasant visit even though I didn't win anything. I'll stop by again on my way back to Arizona.

Had lunch at the diner, Philly was my choice the Catfish dinner was my moms. AWEFUL! Good thing we had a voucher and the food was free because otherwise i would've demanded my money back. My moms ENTIRE Catfish dinner was cold and had to be remade. Slots are too tight. Wouldn't come here if it weren't for the free gifts. Shelby (@Route 66 diner) was AMAZING! She had my moms whole dinner remade
True professional. Thank you Shelby!
Will try the diner again to set if any changes have been made at a later date.

Rooms: love the set up! Always clean and sparkly. Suites have drinks in them already cold in the fridge. Jacuzzi we had was big enough for my husband and I to fit in together!
Service: amazing! Very helpful. Nice employees. There are some dealer who are helpful with rules and how to play. Security is everywhere.
Location: lots of parking and easy to know how to enter
Restaurants: they are all good !
I've been here too many times. Some days you win and some days you don't, it's all gambling right !
We always enjoy this place though ! Make sure you use your player cards every time you play because you get rewards, offers, and giveways when you sign up !

Really no issues with location or services. I didn't stay there but we stopped for dinner and to have some fun at the casino. Most restaurants were closed as it was Monday so that was a bummer but we did get to enjoy the casino. Downside...tables that were active were all in the smoking area and the only gift shop was accessed through the smoking area. Ok, so I get that a lot of your customers are smokers and I'm only visiting, but it was a real turn off to have no choice but to travel through smoking to get to gift shop.

We stopped in to eat and look around the casino. The food was amazing! (Nachos). We walked around the first floor and it was very clean and the staff we spoke with were very helpful and nice. The "gift shop" had some nice stuff in it but I'm not paying 3X the price for a tumbler or shirt. We did have to park aways out, we walked about a quarter mile in the rain to the closest door. Most casinos have a cart to pick people up but I saw nothing here.

Absolute excellent experience for a girls weekend! Everyone couldn't have been more nice or more professional staff security everyone working in the casino everyone working in the restaurants just an all around fabulous experience 100% highly recommend! Warm cookies at check in what more could you ask for.The memorabilia collection is amazing it's nice just to walk around and look at all the artifacts and many exhibits scared across the hotel and casino & the lobby. Heated pool for adults only was an added bonus. The Starbucks inside was a nice added bonus! I have no idea who chooses the format of the music that they play all across the hotel, casino and the mini bars inside the casino different venues different styles of music but definitely it was all well played well loved 50's/60's, classic rock, old/new countr, pop & hip hop! The music was even blasting in the parking lot! The hotel rooms were very nice very comfortable well decorated and very quiet, the chocolate bars were an added bonus absolutely delicious!

Came to play cards, Blackjack in particular, enjoyable time spent! Cocktail waitress actively serving as expected. Not hard to find like some places.
Quick pick food options were good, a bit steep on pricing but flavorful. Draft beer foreign or domestic was a bit too expensive, bottled domestic about average price.
Wish there was semi-truck parking.

Our check-in was for 430. We definitely showed up late maybe about 6:05pm thankfully we did not get charged late check in or anything. They had a person push the dolly for us because they have to stay with them. That was nice not to have to do any work when I came in or leaving the place. The rooms were perfectly clean and they were actually very beautiful standard room that I booked through Expedia. They had a chocolate bar on each side one for me and one for my honey. The day of checkout, we did request more towels though, and they didn’t come until the same time that our dolly showed up to walk us out. So we skipped those and headed out. There’s a Starbucks downstairs, which made it perfect for the morning. There’s also a bar so we didn’t have to go anywhere that night. Personally I don’t gamble for the adult swimming pool that stays open until midnight.

Had a great time just walking around the casino and playing a few games.
Was a little disappointed that the restaurants were closed on Monday nights, but I get that it may not be busy enough to keep them open. We just happened to be in town one night.
It did look like there was some good entertainment lined up in the future. Billy Idol!
The Blue Whale of Catoosa is a well-known curiosity situated along Route 66. Erected in 1972 on a small pond, it boasts a nearby picnic area and gift shop that can be accessed through the whale's mouth. Although swimming is no longer permitted, visitors can still take photos inside the giant blue whale's jaws.
I highly recommend visiting. Liz has done a fantastic job at bring the blue whale back to his glory days. It's also close to Tulsa downtown. You can climb up in the head and the tail. You could also stay and have a picnic at one of the tables. You can also purchase a souvenir while your there.

This is a nice stop, if you happen to be in the area or if you need a Tulsa bucket list item. I hear upgrades to the area might be coming in the future. It’s fun to see some of the Route 66 history. You can climb into the the top of the whale, but there is no swimming anymore and the general grounds are okay. Visit the whale … check.

I knew about the whale and planned a route on Route 66 just to visit this attraction. It is a nice little park. The whale is very nice and the people responsible for this should be commended. Unfortunately the gift shop had just closed as we arrived. So we didn't get to look around. We probably would have purchased something. Either way this is an attraction that you really should not pass by. How often do you get to do something like this?

The Blue Whale or Catoosa is an iconic Route 66 landmark. It needs a bit of sprucing up but there are bathrooms and a picnic area.
There is now a no swimming sign posted and I'm assuming because the pond may not be safe to swim in. We did see turtles while we were there.
There was a tornado rolling in and some random dude was upset about the no swimming sign. You can fish here but it's catch & release only.

Traveling along route 66 to see many of the quirky roadside attractions and had to stop at the place. Cracked me up and I would really like to know the whole story of how this was an anniversary present for someone! What would possess a person to build an iron and cement blue whale in Catoosa Oklahoma? There is a ladder available to climb on top of the whale's tale, which I did not do. The wooden ark appears to have lights strung on it that spell out "ark" (in case you couldn't figure that out 😄). Regardless if you're driving along route 66, you cannot miss this place, so why not stop and smile? There is a small rainbow painted building between the ark and the blue whale that appears to be an ice cream stand, but it wasn't open when we were there.

In the last several years they've really fixed this place up to be a nice roadside attraction. It's a great place to have a picnic on a nice day, and hardly ever crowded as far as I can tell. Totally worth stopping for if you're driving along 66.

This is one of those original "Road side route 66 attractions" that really shouldn't be missed. A good place to rest from driving. You can walk onto the whale, but there is no longer swimming, or climbing on top of the whale. The little snack shack has food for the fish and turtles, which they will all come right up to you when you walk out onto the whale. Just a heads up though, the bathrooms leave little to the imagination. I can't speak for anyone else, but I don't need to be THAT close to anyone. There are 2 separate toilets on the women's side that are not divided into stalls, nope. Just right there knee to knee with your neighbor. The kicker is the room is actually large enough to accommodate 3 or 4 divided stalls. I guess they do things differently in Oklahoma.

The wife and I decided to go out for an old-fashioned picnic and based on the closeness we selected Blue Whale of Catoosa. The old wooden whale is pretty cool, and the kids seem to like exploring in and around it.
The lady working there was very friendly and explained the history of the original attraction. She may have been a family member, because she really seemed to enjoy telling the story.
The site has a small gift shop that offers related merchandise. Besides the big whale and pond there's picnic tables available. There are multiple walking paths that are well kept and shaded.
We spread our blanket on one of the tables, had lunch all while enjoying the great weather beautiful surroundings.

This was a sudden stop as I was out exploring. However, it is part of the Route 66 tourists stops also. A quick place to learn how far you are from places across the nation on the Route and picture opportunities. Also, you say like Jonah you have been in the belly of the whale.

Absolutely adorable old school RT 66 attraction that is free to see. You can walk out onto the whale, which extends out into the lake. They also have a little shop and sell snow cones during the day, but we arrived after closing time. They even had bathrooms open after hours. Well worth a visit. This old guy has such character!!

All this was built by hand, and it is sad that it is not being properly maintained! This place and ones like it, hold so many memories and links to the past, when America and it's Small Towns , Hard Working People and Roadside Attractions, reflected the Pride and Love of Country that made it the Greatest National the world had ever seen!

I was only in Tulsa Oklahoma for a weekend, but I can say without a shadow of a doubt that this is the Pearl of Oklahoma. I'm fairly well traveled. I've stood awe before the Statue of David. I've wept before the Mona Lisa. I've scaled the steps of Himalayan Buddhist monasteries. I've walked the entirety of the Great Wall of China. All of that pales and comparison to the Blue Whale of Catoosa. This is a must visit. If you are in Oklahoma, you owe it to yourself to make the pilgrimage to this modern marvel. I recommend bringing a tent and provisions for an extended silent retreat, at least two weeks, to ponder the wonder that is the Blue Whale of Catoosa.

This was on my bucket list of places to see on Route 66 and I’m so glad I finally got to visit this summer! The Blue Whale is the best kind of kitschy. The story behind it is also very heartwarming. I’m beyond thankful that it’s still here for travelers to see. I can only imagine what it must have been like back in the day. The whale truly gave us a smile!! 🐳

What a cute Route 66 attraction. They are going to be doing some renovations soon for the upcoming 100th anniversary of Route 66 so it should be interesting to see what they do. There is a gift shop on site with my favorite souvenir, the smooshed penny machine. Definitely fun to stop and walk around. It's free so that's a plus.

Cool location, they had the whale all Christmas'ed out. Neat little gift shop, enjoyed chatting with the fellow working there. Does not appear that you can go upstairs, but you can walk through the main body of the structure. A Route 66 icon, and worth the stop. Has a little picnic area, but was too cold for a picnic when I was there!

Fun little roadside attraction to get out and stretch your legs. Handicap Accessible to get on the whale. No swimming is allowed, but there is a little trail so you can explore a bit. My younger grandkids (8,8,6,5) had fun. The teenager wasn't impressed.

This was super fun place to stop by!
They did have even a small giftshop, so I bought sticker of this place!
I was sad to hear, that on year 88 this place was closed for swimmers☹️
I said them that it would be a hit if they re open it! 😃 Oh, that rimmed! 😂

This is an utterly charming roadside attraction. I can only imagine the joy it brings to children when they can swim and enjoy the pond.

Cool piece of Oklahoma history. I think everybody had a grandpa who talked about building big things, this one just did it! Make sure you go in the gift shop, just duck it's a little low in there 😁

I grew up nearby, so anytime I am through the area I stop with my kids for a bit. This is a great place to swing by for a half hour or more. This didn't exist when I was young, but now there is even a small store to grab a Blue Whale collectable. Over the recent holiday my daughter grabbed a small Blue Whale mirror for her room and loves it. We live out of state now, so every time I see that mirror, it brings back good memories. Go check it out!

Hillside museum honoring the movie star with video/audio & art displays, library, garden & theater.
Such a well taken care of place to learn about an iconic man. The Will Rogers Memorial Museum has a beautiful theater where you can watch some of his films.
The museum also tells about his life from his childhood to his passing.

The museum is well organized, they've got a map, there are interactive displays, and there's even a movie theater where you can watch short movies (my kids liked The Ropin' Fool).
There's bathrooms and a drinking fountain; they're not requiring masks, though we wore ours anyway.
In the basement there's a mini children's museum, which was unexpected. The kids loved it, especially the dress up area. (Photos are of the kid area.)
Admission is $7 for adults and $3 for kids 6+; 5 and under are free.
We came for the passport stamp, but it ended up being more interesting and more kid friendly than I expected.

Loved it! Wonderful place to explore and learn about Will Rogers the political commentator, the movie star, world traveler and private citizen. We especially appreciated the movie theater since these old films are hard to obtain. We were also pleased to learn more details about his tragic death with pilot Wiley Post. Great find! Highly recommend for a day out with kids or grandkids or out of town visitors.

One of the best museums we saw on our trip! Beautiful building and gardens. So much to see and learn including a huge theater playing movies. My kids loved it too especially the downstairs play area! Highly recommend.

What an excellent tribute to an Oklahoma man with his wit and known as the Cherokee kid. There are several movies or reels in this museum of Will Rogers and family. Worth the trip and worth strolling through. There is also a good gift shop.

I love this museum!! It's inexpensive, open on weekends, it's in a beautiful building, and there's even a library (make prior arrangements to see it) with books galore! There are movies playing like "The Ropin' Fool" and statues to see as well as paintings and even a display of saddles as you enter. There is a gift shop with reasonably priced items. This is a must-see place in Oklahoma!

I was brought here by my Route 66 passport and this was so much better of an experience than I could have ever hoped for! Having done and seen the musical Will Roger's Follies I felt I knew quite a bit about good Ol Will, but was impressed by how much memorabilia and info about him was contained at this site. We'll definitely need to revisit with the grandkids. Not too shabby for $5 entry for seniors.

I thought he was just an actor, it was nice to learn so much more about him. There's a lot of great information as well as fun displays. The kids part of the museum is very well displayed for a lot of hands on fun. There's nice theaters to sit and watch some of his movies. The gift shop has a very sweet young lady working and the guy volunteer had lots of great information for us. Glad we took the time to visit.

What a fun day! We attended the Spring break program and all three generations had fun. We learned a lot about Will Rogers. The children's area allowed for breaks from reading history to act out what they learned.

What can I say? A classic museum about a classic American! We thoroughly enjoyed learning about Will Rogers - he was before our time, but have heard about him all of our lives from our elders. The museum covered his life very well. I especially enjoyed the movies about Will Rogers' life (roping & a biography) which were suggested by the docent, Tom! The short films were helpful to see more than just photos. I am sure I will never confuse Will Rogers with other stars of his era again. There's also a children's area that looks like it would be fun!
We appreciated Tom's attention and his related stories and sharing about the present family. Great museum! I am sure I will never confuse him with other stars of his era again.

July 26, took my visiting sister and brother-in-law here for their first time. They were impressed with the exhibits, old movies and commentary about Will Rogers. Staff at the entry desk and gift shop were very friendly and helpful. Having been to Will Roger’s Dog Iron Ranch airstrip several times for annual fly-in’s, it was nice to revisit his legacy at the museum.

The Will Rogers Memorial Museum was our 5th stop of the day on our route 66 passport adventures. It was truly phenomenal and worth visiting. They also have a children's section on the lower level, which is a great break that allows the kiddos to be able to touch stuff and have a hands on experience.
Museum with exhibits of historic weapons housing an extensive privately-held firearms collection.
they do have a gift request of $10 per person to keep the doors open but it is free. one of the largest collections of history and personal collection of modern and antique weapons available that I have seen. people from all over the United States and the world were visiting the day we went.

Great place if you enjoy old guns, weapons and history. Free to enter. Took my son for an hour and we needed more like 2-3. There aren't many recent weapons post Vietnam War. There are a few from Desert Storm. Hopefully they keep adding to the collection. It is impressive.

If you are a firearm enthusiast then this is the place for you. I found just about every firearm that I had ever seen in my family's arsenal. This is the largest collection owned by a single person. If you have the time it would take hours to actually see it all and take it in. Definitely worth going to if your in the Tulsa area.

This was the 3rd stop of the day for our route 66 passport journey. All of the kiddos loved this stop. So many cool things to see including firearms, knives and swords, taxidermy, instruments and much more. Definitely worth a trip. $10 family admission.
Tiffany Smith — Google review
Important info: this is NOT free as described in many places online. The sign says "customary donation- single $5, family $10" I didn't see a card machine and didn't think I had any cash. My husband had already stepped inside a few feet further so I was going to go talk to him and the older lady behind the desk stood and said "it is a customary donation of $5 each to walk around". We were able to find enough cash, but I was SUPER annoyed with the demand of donation. So before you come, know that they do charge admission and you need cash. In my opinion, the demand of donation made me wonder if they are just skirting having to pay taxes on the admission by calling it a donation, which seems a little shady.
HOWEVER, it is a cool museum. We didn't leave enough time to see everything before we had to go.

Wonderful museum if you have an interest in firearms. I have never seen so many guns of all different shapes and sizes. American, British and many other countries. Has a decent stein collection, and a section dedicated to Roy Clark. Brought a smile to my face as I heard the sound of " pickin' and grinnin' coming around the corner.
Banquet hall & grounds hosting Renaissance Festival, fireworks sales & other seasonal events.

Lots of lights and blow ups in the drive through portion. Very enjoyable. Be sure to tune your radio to FM87.9 for your drive. The inside was weak with nothing really to do. The torture chamber was available but we didn’t go because it doesn’t support a Christmas theme, now does it? We did the train ride but would recommend the hay ride instead. The fumes coming off the train engine was super strong and the music/horn were not enjoyable.

It was a fun family friendly atmosphere. We had a blast. Dressed in costume and had several "fan" pics taken with us. Some thought we worked there, lol. Good food and several adult beverage locations if you enjoy those. Even bought some merch from a few of the shops they had as well.

This display will be more of an interest for smaller children. It is a drive-through scene with many inflatables vs. Christmas lights. At the end, you can park and explore stores, petting zoos and scenery (which we didn't do, so there may be an added bonus there). Castle looks cool. We felt that with all the space they have it could be so many more Christmas light scenes to display. I would recommend for the kiddos.

Plenty of room and plenty of vendors for food and drinks. We're planning on returning next year, or possibly at their Christmas festivities.

We really injoyed the drive through The Castle. The first part were light displays simular to Denison TX( Loy lake park) or Ardmore OK. Then you get into the Castle. It was mostly inflatables but you can't imagine how many it's amazing that they don't blow away in Oklahoma, I bet it's a challenge. Over all it was super cool and well worth a drive especially when paired with the garden of lights a couple blocks away. I believe there is also a walk through section we did not do because it was windy and cool. We went on a Monday night there were others there but there was no wait.

This is for a rating at Christmas time. The drive thru is a donation at the end of $5 or $10 cash. The drive thru is okay. You can then park your car. They have activities that cost. We got dinner at the food court. The burgers were good. They also serve alcohol and soda. The gift shop was fun to walk thru. You most likely will buy something. ☺️
The food at the food court ranges.
An area where you can buy kettle corn, hot cocoa, and hot cider.
I didn't get popcorn. But the cocoa and cider are $2 each. Smores kit $2 each. Feed the animals at petting zoo $5 each. Train ride $10 each. Pony rides, but I didn't look at the price. Individual igloos that are set up really cute with heat $25
Everyone who works there is very friendly. A nice environment.

Went there after having dinner. We used to live in Yukon, where there is a huge light show. It back traffic up to the interstate.
This was nice, but I think the rain we had in the last two days, loosen some things up and they were on the ground. Some light displays were off.
Once you get to the castle area, it becomes a little more lively, and they offer activities for kids.

We absolutely love the Castle of Muskogee. My daughter and I got the Fright Combo plus tickets to the Haunted Hayride. Despite the rain we attended Friday Oct 27th and Saturday October 28th and had a blast. We had some really good food, fried pickles, chili cheese fries, Medallions (deep fried oreos) and Churros, everything was great. Sadly the price was just too high on the turkey legs ($18 each) this year so we didn't get any. Overall we had alot of fun and will be coming back each next year! Thank you to everyone that makes this place so magical you guys rock! (owners, staff, actors, vendors, security)🖤🎃👻🧡☠🍂

My first and probably only visit to the castle of Muskogee. I was not impressed. Extremely long lines for mediocre attractions. Buildings in serious need of paint and repair. Boards hanging off of buildings boards missing from buildings. Light bulbs in light strings burned out all over the place. The ultimate maze was not ultimate in the least. The haunted hayride was a joke at best. The hayride drivers were driving exceedingly fast for a hayride. Not to mention that with them barreling through the entire attraction made it not scary at all. The zombie Hunt was okay. However safety glasses were extremely scratched up and we were assured by the staff that once you get inside it won't matter. Probably works out in their favor seeing how the place isn't very zombie-like and the extremely scratched safety glasses obscured the glaring flaws in their decorations. The catacombs and torture chamber were extremely boring. The one bathroom I used had two stalls three urinals and a single tiny sink. This prompted most visitors to the bathroom to not wash their hands as they left, gross! The staff we encountered were extremely friendly and very helpful. I'm sure they are overworked and underpaid. It was definitely an experience but not one that I care to repeat anytime soon.

Completed in 1961, this folk-art park features elaborate carved totems created by Ed Galloway.
Wonderful piece of history right here in Foyil, OK. We came from Andrew's Academy with the Preschool class for our Native America week and they had a great time. We had lunch under the pavilion and the park had lots to look at, climb and learn about but going inside the 90ft Totem Pole was a thrill for sure! They were allowed to climb and walk around the 18ft base and discovered what all the animals meant. There was access to a public toilet and a gift shop where we were greeted with smiles and kindness by its keeper Annie. 😊 Thank you Annie for your generosity and beautiful park.
Tracy Hight — Google review
The story behind the park is interesting, but the actual sculptures, are rather uninspiring. The biggest structure (pictured here) is 90 feet tall and massive. It is touted as the world's tallest Totem. Technically, this may be true, but it is not a Totem Pole as it is constructed of cement. The little store / museum has tables and, I thought rather oddly, violin cases Ed made as a hobby. He was a gifted artist. This visit was part of a loop to see the Park along with the Wiganon Cement Mixer and whatever else might be along the way. With the other things, the trip was 4-5 stars. Click on pics for full size.

This was such a magnificent stop during our Route 66 passport adventures. The children loved ever bit of it including all of the history inside of the museum. The lady running the museum and gift shop has an incredible amount of knowledge about Ed Galloway and all of his work. She even stated that he taught wood working for over 20 years at a boys home. We were able to look at all of the fiddles and several other antique pieces in the gift shop area. The kiddos also got to purchase arrowheads as a souvenir from the trip. I definitely recommend stopping here.

It was cute just like the rest of Oklahoma there’s not much here but the hospitality of the employees was superb! The lady that showed us the fiddle shop was amazing and very informative! If you like wood art I think it’s worth seeing!

Traveled Oklahomas Route 66 with my family while on vacation and knew this was a must see! Absolutely loved it! The detail and love that was put into this artwork is amazing. Ed Galloway respected the Natives and it shows. So glad that we got to stop and see this.
Only downside was that the older women working in the gift shop/ fiddle house was a complete grouch. She obviously doesn’t not like children. There was a young toddler in the gift shop with his mother and the older lady made unnecessary remarks about the toddler to my family and I because he was doing what normal toddlers do and making some noise.
We spent about 15 mins in the shop. I bought some items, my nephews bought some items, my mother bought some items and so did my boyfriend. We even made a donation to help preserve Ed’s art. Me and my boyfriend went back outside to finish up taking some more photos and so my mother and nephews sat inside the shop for a bit as we finished up. It’s over 100 degrees out, my mother is older and has a hurt knee. Sitting inside was best for her. As they were waiting on us inside the older women rudely asks my mother and nephews: “ Are y’all going to be here all day? I’d really like to eat my lunch”.
That is not how you treat costumers. We just spent over 100 dollars in your shop and now you’re basically kicking us out..? Sorry we spent 20 mins in your shop. I was extremely disappointed that this was how we were treated. But after reading other reviews I’m not surprised. Ed Galloway would be extremely disappointed too I assume. They definitely need somebody with better costumer service, or just a better personality in general working here. It’s a tourist attraction…
But nonetheless, please stop by and enjoy this art!!! Take pictures!! Just try to avoid the mean lady at all costs. (:

Omg I loved it but what makes me sad is the submarine it's still closed to the public but overall it was awesome definitely coming back again

Even though the boat itself is closed, the rest of the memorial is still open Friday to Sunday! There's more to see than just the Batfish, including over a dozen different artifacts ranging from torpedoes, to naval mines, to 5-inch naval guns, and more! The volunteer there was extremely friendly and was happy to answer any questions I had.
If you're visiting I recommend donating extra, as entry is only $3/person at the moment due to the submarine's closure, and they're trying to raise funds in preparation to move her to a permanent, more submarine friendly, location down the Arkansas River.

Very informative and interesting. Lots of original memorabilia both inside and outside to peruse. The only downside is that being in a flood plain, you cannot get onto the ship at this time as it’s not safe to. The volunteer Curator said there are federal funds allotted to secure it, but won’t happen overnight.
PS— we saw a bald eagle overhead too.

A charming little museum in the town where squares can definitely have a ball! The best part of this visit was James A. Erb, Jr. He is a POW survivor with an amazing story which I won't spoil, but get him to tell them to you if you visit. There was also the submarine which is currently no visitable. You still can get a good external view of it though and go out and walk around it. This place has a tribute to every U.S. submarine that has fallen with a detailed story of the ship's adventures and her crew's service for those downed during World War I. The museum itself is manageably sized with a side room featuring some hands=on exhibits. Be aware of the Friday- and Weekend- only hours! I would recommend this museum for any history buffs and military history history buffs especially.
Eric Glock — Google review
Curator/volunteer was very knowledgeable and friendly. Just a heads up, the flood of 2019 picked the sub up and moved it off it's secure spot, so you can't currently go on or in the USS Batfish sub, but there's still plenty of US sub history and memorials to all the subs on "eternal patrol".

at the time of this review there is roadwork leading up to the memorial. It wasn't open so we only drove around but it was still really cool to see. I didn't realize torpedoes were that huge. great memorial to visit if you've never seen a submarine before. the uss Batfish is at this memorial and signs guiding people to it refer to the memorial as the batfish memorial

Impromptu camping trip with the family and pup. It was a lot of fun. The hiking trail is paved so it was nice not having to worry about the kids tripping. The water was freezing but we played in the sand. Cute nature center where they have a beaver, coyotes, fox and owl. The downfall is they require you to reserve your camping spot beforehand. I did and when I got there the campsite I picked was rocky and on a slope. The picture they provided was not helpful. Which is not ideal when sleeping in a tent. They also do not allow you to swap campsites. You will have to pay full price for another spot.

There were lots of ants in the cabin, which was frustrating. The restaurant was terrible.
Overall we enjoyed our stay

The Choctaw area is very nice for RV camping - concrete pads, full hookups, and fun playground for the kids. Beach/swimming area is close- nice walk. Trailheads are close.
Best part for us was the Nature Center. Live animals! One employee was superb and had lots of information about the animals. (She was a young assistant with a cool tattoo of a storm trooper with flowers.). She fed the snakes and made learning fun. Kids loved her!!! Do not miss the Nature Center - it's the best!!!!

This is the nicest park we have visited. From their quant hotel to their tucked in cabins. There are plenty of things to enjoy at this park. We were fortunate enough to offer our karaoke services for the evening for the Oklahoma Rural Water Association conference and everyone had a blast. The setting location and the people were awesome. Best venue so far!

It is a beautiful place to visit, picnic tables playground equipment volleyball courts horseback riding golf course walking trails and much more. They have rooms available inside the lodge and cabins for rent that are close to the lake. The reason that I'm giving it four stars instead of 5 is because of the high prices of accommodations, everything else is within reason and a lot more affordable. They are in my opinion about $50 per night higher than what they should be. At dusk and Dawn, you are likely to see deer around the stables, golf course and in the woods as you drive through the winding roads to or from the lodge. It is really worth a visit, I hope that you enjoy yours too.
The Cherokee Heritage Center, situated on 44 acres of heavily wooded grounds that once housed the Cherokee Female Seminary, offers an immersive experience of a pre-European-contact woodland village led by Native Americans. Visitors can explore historic documents, art and relics, and avail themselves of genealogy research opportunities. The tours are educational and fun with interactive staff who wear native spirit shoes to keep the entertainment going. Oklahoman handmade items are available for purchase in the gift shop.
It's truly unfortunate that the Cherokee Heritage Center is temporarily closed at the moment, as I was looking forward to experiencing its rich history and cultural significance. From what I've learned about this non-profit historical society and museum campus, it's evident that their mission is nothing short of commendable.
The dedication to preserving the historical and cultural artifacts, language, and traditional crafts of the Cherokee people is truly inspiring. The center's role as a host for the central genealogy database and genealogy research center for the Cherokee People showcases its commitment to fostering a deep understanding of heritage and ancestry.
I applaud the Cherokee Heritage Center for their invaluable efforts in ensuring that the stories and traditions of the Cherokee community are not forgotten. It's clear that this institution is more than just a museum; it's a living tribute to a vibrant culture that continues to shape our collective history.
I eagerly await the day when the Cherokee Heritage Center reopens its doors, so I can have the privilege of exploring its exhibits and learning more about the rich tapestry of the Cherokee heritage. Until then, my respect and admiration for this organization remain unwavering.

This place is great as a group of 20 something year old college students, I was pleasantly surprised when such an in-depth and educational but yet extremely fun tour was presented. The staff weird shoes that are native spirit and kept E entertainment going and they were very Interactive the gift shop was a definite plus as well handmade Oklahoman items.

My tour guide, Bill, was amazing. We got to play stick ball in their village and it was so much fun. We also got to go to Adam's corner that showed what some houses would look like in the 1800s. All the houses were interactive. The staff was very kind.

This place is amazing! They have a guided tour of a 1700s replica Cherokee Village and our guide was very knowledgeable. There was an expert arrowhead maker there and he demonstrated how to use different natural tools to make arrowheads. There is also a replica 1800s village behind the Center that you can go through on your own. They had a Native American Baseball Players display inside before you get to The Trail of Tears and both displays were wonderful! The grounds were beautiful and there are picnic tables and benches everywhere and if you are a smoker, there are plenty of smoker's poles. I love this place and can't wait to go back when I have more time!

I really enjoyed the exterior village tour!! It was fascinating getting to see everything and that it's real structures not cheesy replicas. I didn't get quite the same experience at rural village. A lot of the speakers were down so we couldn't learn about them and the store was bolted shut with no sign. As this is not guided. Without the speakers you were left feeling a little lacking. Also, a lot of the speakers were out in the Trail of Tears exhibit. The place is great I just suggest fixing those so your guests can get the full experience. Also, it's a little confusing where to go to buy tickets and such. There is someone at a desk when you walk in but everytime I started to walk over to ask where to go they kept walking off. As you need tickets for the guided portions I would make it more clear where to go.

I've been planning a trip here for almost a year. I knew I was coming to Oklahoma and this is one of the spots I wanted to see we drove a couple hours in the rain mostly and around flooded areas. To come here it was very interesting very enlightening if you get a chance please go and do the tour read all the plaques great information that everyone needs to know.
Public park featuring a waterfall, ball fields, campsites, a catch & release fishing lake & trails.
Where the Red Fern Grows was filmed here. Incline down to the falls and steep uphill with concrete steps. It does have other trails you can go on. Wheelchair accessible to see the top of the falls. They have alot of things to do if you choose to stay a couple days. They have Yurts to stay in, shower and bathroom facilities, a playground, disc golf, and a gift shop. The falls are beautiful in the spring and make a stop in the fall for beautiful foliage.

My only regret about this place is that I have lived in Oklahoma most of my life and never visited this park until now. The hiking trails are easy in some areas and moderate in others. Maybe it’s just me but the trail map could use some tweaking. The RV park and the Yurts available for use look really nice. The park is maintained well. I also noticed that they had security on duty which provides some level of comfort in leaving your vehicle parked ($10 BTW)while you go for a hike. The water falls were cool to see and there were different places to choose from in which to view them which is a nice touch. I can definitely recommend this area to relax and spend some quality time with nature.

Nice park. The lady in the welcome center was super friendly. The falls itself are easy to get to with a cement path and stairs leading the way. It also had a nice trail to get different angles and see more of the park. Beautiful pond just past the falls as well. The campgrounds looked nice, and they have yurts if that's your style. I did not stay the night so don't know the price but parking is ten dollars. I will probably come back here for the night on a future road trip.

Not a bad state park if you live close or are in the area, but not sure it was worth the drive from Nebraska.
Nice hikes, but a little short. We managed to do all of them in the 1.5 days we were here. The waterfall was neat, a little underwhelming. Nicely shaded campground for RVs and tents.
Shower houses were nice enough, the shower heads could be replaced or cleaned so you don't only get a little trickle to stand under. The women's restroom had no hand soap the entire weekend. The men's restroom was pretty trashed by the end of the weekend.
Every night police officers would cruise the campground, I don't know if it should make me feel safe or concerned that the news to be patrolling.
There is a dirt racetrack about 1 mile away and races start at 8pm on Friday nights. Being this close it can be a bit noisy in the campground.

Sitting on a bench by the waterfall was very therapeutic. It is a short distance to see the waterfall if you don't want to hike the entire park. Hiking was long, and great. It took us around two hours to see majority of the park, caves, and smoke house (located by children's playground). Parking was only $10 and it was worth it for sure. We went on Monday and there were not many people which was great. We stayed in a Million Dreams Cabins ( loved it) that we rented on Vrbo, and it only took us 10 minutes to get to the park.

Absolutely gorgeous place. Not an all day adventure but definitely at least half a day. But they do have yurts that you can rent and stay the night, which is pretty cool. The waterfalls are not massive but definitely beautiful. You can also do some hiking around the area. Highly recommend.

My family traveled here for spring break, rented out the entire yurt area for an intimate fun filled adventure. I had a very mixed experience. Check in was nice and some of the front desk women were friendly, others not at all warm to a multi culture family. We were mainly disappointed with the lack of warning that Friday night during “quiet time” (after 11 pm when we are expected to respect the park with quiet) there was a very loud monster truck rally very close that we could hear each other in conversation from late afternoon until after midnight. Check out was with the not so friendly attendant. They open at 830 we arrived at 827 and she stared at us until 830 which I could understand but then unlocked the door and walked off with an attitude as if it bothered her we were there and then she was surprised we wanted to check out early. She mentioned she thought we’re there because a cart broke down and she was aware as she just got the message so maybe that’s why she wasn’t excited to see us but we were not the ones that left that message. The golf carts were not in good shape. One family got stranded after hours on a bathroom run, luckily we had others to come get them with the children as it was a long trip back in the cold. The wood logs are $1 each so prepare for this expense. I was glad they were available at least. Yurt was clean but our fridge wasn’t regulating temp right and we lost a lot of food/milk made my toddler son sick. I was overall happy with the trip other than those few things. Nice scenery, hiking was fun.

The waterfall is just a short walk from the time you pay for parking. It's a very nice waterfall and you can walk down a path that is located by the creek. If you don't have lots of time to invest in a hike, or just are getting into waterfalls, I recommend stopping by it

We chose the right day to go because we had the whole place to ourselves. The upper waterfall did not have any water but it was still a beautiful place to visit. The park was a great place for our kids to stretch their legs and have some extra fun.

It’s FREEE you only pay for parking 10 dollars but you can be there all day. We’re from Florida so I was not use to the hiking I recommend good shoes. But I absolutely loved the scenery we visited early October so the weather was perfect. Not hot nor cold.

Beautiful place with very scenic views from the trails. Makes you feel like you’re not in Oklahoma anymore! I would recommend visiting to anyone who asks. Only bad part is the tourists who think rules don’t apply to them, and go past the boardwalk onto the plunge pool shore. It’s happened both times I’ve gone.

The RV spots have great water pressure and the best views! The park is well kept, and the trails are perfect for exploring. The falls are beautiful!

Beautiful park. Hidden in the stunning Ozark Highlands near the Arkansas/Oklahoma border. Visitors are not allowed to swim under the waterfall, but there is a side area where they can play around in the water. The waterfalls are not massive, but you can do some hiking around them. Not an all-day adventure, but definitely something you can spend a couple of hours doing. Also, you have the option to stay overnight in one of the park's five yurts, which can be booked online. It's a great place to visit if you're in NWA or Tulsa.

We enjoyed this state park a lot. There are lots of trees in the RV parking that keep you shaded in the heat. Most park roads and trails are nicely paved, as are the RV sites. It is a short hike down paved trails to see the Dripping Springs waterfall through several vantage points. Being less than 10 miles from Siloam Springs, Arkansas means you are close to lots of restaurants and retail, yet remote when you're at the camp. There is a dedicated tent camping area, as well as a remote area with five yurts for rent. You can also rent golf carts and three-wheel bicycles here, although $75/day for the golf cart seemed high to me. I gave this park only four stars because only seven RV spots were full hook-up sites, and of the many electric/water only sites do not have 50 amp power available. This was an issue for our camping club that used 10 sites.

Beautiful scenic trail with waterfall, nice gift shop/info center with friendly, informative attendant. I didn't know there were yurts you could rent, they look really fun.

I’ve captured a couple of surprise proposals in the park and it is the perfect setting for a photo shoot! The only thing is that it gets darker down there earlier than up by the highway or parking lot so plan accordingly. Sunset photos down by the waterfall should be scheduled 30-60 minutes earlier than what you would think is the best time. Other than that, just an amazing park and I feel lucky to live close to such an amazing spot!
Visitors drive through a 400-acre park filled with exotic animals, plus picnicking & petting areas.
I had never been because I live in Colorado but I LOVED it when I went when we visited my grandparents during Thanksgiving break! It was such a great experience and was so cool! I love being able to see al the animals, feed the Kangaroos, ride a camel and get up close and person with lots of amazing animals! I loved being able to be so close to Wolfs, a hyena, Zebras, Monkeys etc. I would definitely recommend this to any family’s with kids it is a great experience and I believe everyone would love it!

Rained hard, so many of the animals were "in hiding" but we made the best of it and played "can you find"... the cost is super high for just driving around, but they seem to take pretty good care of the place. I'd think more walking areas with animals you can actually see would be great (we couldn't even figure out how to get close enough to see the monkeys and giraffes on the walking paths)... I think, for this price, we'll just go to a zoo and walk around enjoying animals a bit more. This is fun for a one time visit, but I don't see the "pull" of going more then once.

The family had a great visit driving through the 10 mile safari. I only wish it was an open window area, but doors and windows must stay closed and no feeding the animals. The adults and kids, 3 and 11 all had a wonderful time! Would definitely like to visit again.

This place is getting better everytime we visit except the lady at the concession stand where we paid to drive through was very short and rude and not very helpful at all. There was a lion there in an enclosure that didn't look well at all. He looked mangy and sick. Other than that, our 5 year old loved seeing the animals and learning about them. The drive through is gorgeous as well. The nature is amazing!

We've been coming here since I was a little kid and now we get to take my kids! It is our very favorite place to go and try to go at least once a year but this time it had been awhile and my 3 year old son's 1st time and we will definitely be going back in the spring and continue to go any chance we get. The staff is great and the animals are amazing. They are always adding on more and more and there is always something new to see, hear and learn. Thank you all for keeping this place running. It will forever be my favorite place to be!

We had a great experience at the park, we paid $50 for 2 adults and 2 kids. It looked like they had some areas under construction and they were placing sidewalks and walkways. There were still a lot of places that had gravel so it made it very difficult to push the baby stroller. The petting section is fun for the little kids, the animals are real docile and they have fees bags for $1 that come with bits of bread and pellets. The bathrooms are pretty stinky and there were water puddles on the floor. The food they have is pre- packaged microwave sandwiches and pizza, corn dogs and chips; most were $2.00. The souvenirs are pricey, but they are cute and all the money goes towards the upkeep of the park. I think once they finish construction the park will be a lot nicer. We will definitely visit again.

Even though Covid necessitates closing down some of the fun activities (petting, feeding, and riding some of the animals), there's still do much to experience. Drop in during the week when the crowds are light and take a relaxing drive through the park... And check out all the spring babies! They're too cute!

This was a great stop. Our tour guide, Jackie, was super! They give tours every half hour or so. You can call ahead but reservations are not required. The cave and grounds are well kept. It's not the biggest tour I've been on but we enjoyed it. There are a few steps and some areas under 4ft or so where you will have to duck, but nothing too bad. I'm 6'1 and 230lbs and I squeezed through just fine. They do have salamanders, crawdads and bats in the cave, which is cool. The gift shop and museum are small but nice. Prices were fair for what you get. Thanks again!

Amazing tour with an amazing tour guide. Very funny and protective of the caves preservation yet also incredibly informative. We saw three out of 5 breeds of salamander and can’t wait to come back for the Wild Tour. It’s amazing that the cave has stayed in the family since its discovery. Whatever pay Cory makes, he deserves more! He goes above and beyond. At the end of our tour, he didn’t hesitate to grab a golf cart to take a man with a cane to his car. Incredible. Bluff Dwellers Cave was an amazing quick day trip for my family. The five of us, all adults, thoroughly enjoyed it. The grounds are very well kept, they have a cool gift shop with historical artifacts and other trinkets, and the tour itself was entertaining and educational. The cave is, in my opinion, beyond cool inside. Such a beautiful place. Our tour guide was Boone, and he was amazing. He was very informative and entertaining, and made sure we stayed aware of everything around us during the tour. The most difficult part of the tour is the stairs when you first arrive. There are some with varying heights, but I was able to navigate, and I do have some difficulty walking in general. The cave is always 56 degrees, and a sweatshirt and jeans were perfectly comfortable. The tour was almost exactly one hour, and we bought tickets on arrival and started the tour within 10-15 mins, enough time to wander around the gift shop and look around. I highly recommend this cave tour!

Loved our experience at Bluff Dwellers cave. We had a private tour experience with Cory (AKA coolest cave dude ever)
Cory knew all the cave animal hiding spots so we were able to see a ton of wildlife, he also was extremely knowledgeable and presented all the information in a fun and exciting way. I absolutely plan on returning with my children. This place is an excellent family experience. There is a lodge located on the premises as well, we didn’t stay but it’s something I plan on looking into our next trip around. There are a TON of caves and state parks in the nearby area.
I will note however because of this attraction being a cave it is not wheelchair or stroller friendly.

Our tour guide was awesome, cracking jokes but making sure we learned a lot! I got some awesome shots of the wildlife including a couple salamanders and bats!
We had to do minimal ducking which I was surprised by, and we were on pretty flat ground for the whole cave. We stopped at the gift shop after our tour and checked out the museum and black light room which was pretty interesting!

Fun tour, the tour guide was amazing! My 4 and 8 year old really liked it! They planned for treasure and found tons of mineral rocks and lots of "shark teeth" although I think some of them were not shark teeth haha it was still the excitement! We will definitely go back. The guide was funny and educated. We were the only ones there I'm assuming because it was the last hour of the day, but I think it being just us made it even better. The inside of the cave was cool and dark, but the guide had a flashlight that kept it plenty bright inside. The gift shop was a little pricey, but what gift shop isn't. They got some awesome souvenirs and my kids already asked to go back!

While on vacation my husband thought it would be a good idea to check out some caves. Most of them were closed this time of year but this one was open so we gave it a go. So far this was the best part of our trip. We were very nervous bringing our children because theres no touching and no strollers allowed and we didn't know how well they would do. We visited this cave on a Friday during spring break. It was quiet on location and very peaceful just out front. The gift shop was full of minerals and gemstones as well as other cave related findings! The museum inside the gift shop was very informative, and had lots of artifacts on display. We used the pans to search for minerals and there were SO many stones in the dirt, it was worth the money! My children both crawled the crawl space that was outside several times and enjoyed the entire place.
Our tour guide was Boone and he helped make it a magical, musical, and memorable! He very much knew a lot about the cave and the Native American history of what was there. He shared stories throughout the tour and answered our questions. He was genuinely excited to see an adult salamander living inside the cave, and to show my children the bats that were sleeping. He even took time to explain the unnatural things in the cave that had been put in by man.
We will be back with more friends!

The good first. A beautiful place to walk in history. Clean, well marked historical buildings.
The bad. If you decide tou want to take pictures in front of a historical building, Karen will come see you and tell you that you cannot bring a blanket and set it on the ground to sit on because you cannot have props on the historical grounds.
Kinda disgusting treating people like they are criminal for taking Christmas pictures.
Need I say we asked Arkansas Game and Fish if it would be a problem and they said it would not be a problem and picnics with pictures would be encouraged.
Beware of Karen. Unless of course you are driving backwards down the one way road, than you have nothing to worry about.

Beautiful, well kept, good information. You can really picture the battle. 10/10 definitely suggest a visit even if it's just for a free scenic walk

A beautiful and educational location. My husband and I loved the multiple places to stop and read about what took place during the battles while walking the trail. The land and trails were well kept and no trash. It was also interesting seeing what the houses and other buildings would of looked years ago. I highly recommend and a playground is nearby which is great for children.
Incredible old world park surrounded by huge Boston Mountains ( Ozark sized). Incredible rock formations on the lower Yellow Rock and Monument Trails. One can hike for many days here...easy to hard.

We stayed in a camper cabin. We love this experience. We don't have to hook up our rv and still get a quick weekend out. The restaurant on site was a great experience. So happy they were there. The gift shop was not stocked really well but the staff was super. There is absolutely NO signal, so if you want music, make sure you have a downloaded playlist. If you want a phenomenal breakfast, travel about 15 minutes to Jake's Cafe. You won't be disappointed.

Awesome trail. High end of moderate. Lots of rock steps and steep rock descents. Lots of caves, but closed off due to protecting bats. Some really pretty views.

Absolutely gorgeous state park. Rugged trails and scenery. Staff were very friendly, as Ive found in most Arkansas parks. Cabins are so cute and comfy. Gotta make this one on your list.

I loved the small challenge on the devils den trail. I’m not very active but it gave me a good workout. I’m sad it’s the drought season so I didn’t see any waterfalls but overall I loved it!

Best day… even with the trees barren of their leaves, the views are beautiful, the water sounds so great and the hiking is perfect. Devils Den Trail yielded water falls and crags and the Outlook was spectacular. Short or long hiking - go here. Love it. Enjoy it. Just DO it!!

Good clean restrooms right next to the visitor center. The people at the center were very helpful and knowledgeable. There are several trails to take some can be strenuous so choose wisely. The cascade is nearby. It can be busy in the weekends and on warm/hot days as once it was full of cars and we were unable to find a parking space so simply drove by.
Marina Schijven — Google review
Ladies in the visitors center were very helpful. Maps to take with you and clean restrooms.
Devils den trail is moderate, up stone steps and a few slightly harder climbs. Follow the red triangles. Waterfalls had no water- but the views are still breathtaking! Autumn is here and so gorgeous with all the changing colors of leaves. Caves and crevices are closed to protect bats from white noise- basically humans. Cairns all along the river bed that shouldn’t be there. Trails could use slightly better marking, but love that there aren’t really gates or posts or signs etc to mar the natural beauty. We saw a snake, armadillo, deer, and birds. Hidden gem of a park! Gorgeous.

The Museum of Native American History in Bentonville, Arkansas focuses on five distinct eras of Native American history. You'll learn a great deal about their lifestyle and culture, as well as the specific area in which they lived.
A very good museum to keep us busy for couple of hours. The staff were very friendly and gave a quick overview of the collection. The artifacts were arranged by periods. The quick overview of the artifacts help understand and appreciate significance of the artifacts. The audio guide is helpful if you do not want to read by yourself. The winter count artifacts were interesting. The kids were impressed in the mammoth and in trying to find their own arrowheads.

This place was very thoroughly stocked in artifacts of this region, and an extensive collections of sharpened tool points. We appreciated the hand held audio guides and short videos throughout. My kids 13 and 11 held interest for 1 and 1/2 hrs.
We would have liked to learn more about present day (more recent) indigenous journeys and lifestyles. Specifically, the art on the stickers at the gift shop was very cool, and thought provoking with it’s comments. There’s clearly stories there. Also some hands on projects of napping or weaving or beading would have been fun in the big room.
The facial shadow activity was very interesting!
The staff was welcoming and gave some fun tips for finding arrowheads in the parking lot.

I enjoyed this place quite a bit, but I went with a group who had a few experienced in Native American History (free tour guides 😆). The museum had plenty to see and read about prehistory up to removal times, and a gift shop that contained current art and literature by and about Native American's.
There was a few things for the children to do, like hunting for arrow heads, and an event area to do activities at give times. Contact for upcoming dates.
They didn't charge an entry fee so it seemed fair to get a thing or two from the gift shop.
Also there is a library inside that they were in the process of sorting, out at the time of my post, that can be used by students or whomever to research and study.

Whatever you have planned don’t miss this museum. It is absolutely amazing. We stayed for 2.5 hours and it flew by. There is an audio device for over 100 of the exhibits to enhance your visual experience. If you enjoy museums, this is a world class visit start to finish.

This Museum is a must see! A most exquisite and priceless collection of arrowheads, tools, pottery, clothing, headresses, photographs, and more. Allow yourself plenty of time to really dive into this collection and it's historical content. Obviously this was very well planned and executed through the pristine display of every item. Great for all ages to enjoy. The museum has free entrance, gift shop and clean restrooms. I would love to visit again when in the area.
This small museum offers free audio phones for the exhibit. Many artifacts are presented, from numerous tribal nations, as well as various periods in indigenous histories in the Americas. Some of the artifacts are especially impressive, such as the clothing Native Americans sometimes fashioned from blankets and beads secured through trading with Europeans.
The Museum of Native American History invites you to "Walk Through America's Past," where we will give you a glimpse into what life was like for America's first inhabitants. The museum is divided into five different time periods that will guide you through the constantly changing lives of the Native Americans, as seen through their artifacts. Our displays feature relics that date from over 14,000 years old to historic times. Come visit our museum and enjoy seeing some of the finest treasures ever created by early craftsmen. Schools and groups are welcomed, call to make reservations. Handicap Accessible

People surprise me when they say they have never heard of this place. It’s free and they have AMAZING artifacts from all time periods. You also get to find an arrowhead in the rocks out front. The kids love that. The people that work there are very nice and knowledgeable, it’s got to take bigs and littles. I’ve enjoyed coming here the past 5 years and seeing what the kids have picked up on. They are learning more than you know. There is something for everyone. Enjoy! Don’t forget the gift shop! Admission is free so don’t leave without a souvenir.

I had such a wonderful experience at the Museum of Native American History. I didn't get to stay as long as I wanted to, but I will absolutely go back. A great place to bring out of town guests! Employees were very nice and knowledgeable about the exhibits. A superb way to learn about native Americans and how they lived throughout history.
Highly recommend the "arrowhead search" outside. We had an awesome time looking amongst the rocks and tepee for these treasures. Fifty cents each for each one you find.
Nice little gift shop as well.
Admission is free.

VERY surprised at this wonderful museum.
The fact that this place is free is amazing. Every single step you take is full of stories, images, artifacts, information, and videos. The size on the outside is incredibly deceiving. The audio self guided tour took us around 2 hours.
So grateful this is here! Can’t believe it took us this long to visit. We look forward to bringing our out of town visitors soon.
The only “downside” is how crowded our visit on the weekend was. Some times it was difficult to fully see artifacts in the glass because of the small areas being shoulder to shoulder at some points. It would have been much more enjoyable if we came during a weekday, we believe. But that doesn’t change the fact the experience was great overall.

What a great Native American History Museum to visit with a lot of local artifacts along with artifacts from around the world.
Now they have a audio listening device you can take along with you as you walk through all the exhibits, punch in the numbers and hear more about what you’re looking at and skip over the ones you don’t.
I highly recommend visiting this place as you’re in NWA, Bentonville Arkansas area.

Home field for the Northwest Arkansas Naturals, a minor league baseball team, with 6,500 seats.
Great ballpark! Prices are reasonable for a family, there are usually promos of some type, and the fireworks were great on the 4th.
Be aware you have to take a clear bag. Baby stuff too. So many people don’t realize this. Amazon has them. Or they’ll give you a ziplock sometimes.
My older kids get wristbands and do the unlimited activities, it’s a good environment. Overall we enjoy games whenever we go.

Loved the Experience I had when I watched the whole game and got to run the bases. You never know whe you might get a chance to catch a baseball. Or when you might get to hang out in the dugout. The good things about this place is that the seats are relatively comfortable compared to the bleachers we had to sit on at school, the park that they have is really cool and fun to play on. Another good thing is that the food is really good. But the downside to the place is that it is relatively expensive to go to. And it can be very very hard to leave if you stay until the end of the game because it normally is very packed. Oh, I forgot about the firework show that they put on after the game. It is extremely entertaining to watch and it is very pretty.

Good, clean, family friendly fun. Great way to relax on a summer evening watching a game. Playground for kids in the backfield, train rides available as well. Decent food becoming more available. Watch for event specials and day of week specials. Some events have fire works too. Friendly helpful staff all around. Strong entry security with search. So be aware of limitations upon entry.

Ticket prices are Cheap and affordable and the park even has tickets for sitting behind the outfield near the scoreboard. It's also fun for the whole family, kids can go to the bouncy house and the mini golf course to play, you can test your pitching speed in the piching cage, and a train even circles around the walkway. And the players are Very kind, many have thrown me baseballs and one even gave me a bat (See in picture). The stadium also has a team shop and a large selection of food and drinks at the concession stands. I recommend a visit to Arvest Ballpark.

The Walmart Museum is a must-see when in Bentonville, Arkansas. The museum features exhibits on the companys meteoric rise to retail domination and includes an old-style cafe.
Great timeline of Sam Walton and the raise of Wal-Mart. Very limited items to view but neat to see the items they did have, including old store ads. My favorite item was Sam’s red Ford 150 along with his handy shotgun. This is not a big museum and you can cover all the rooms one to two hours. They have a nice ice cream shop to enjoy when you finish. It was a good time!

Great experience, your able to learn the history of Wal-Mart and see how Sam Walton involved the company through out the years, and see Sam Waltons life story. The admission is free, and you get to create your own bee.

What an interesting place to see the first store and learn the history of Sam Walton and Walmart! The museum staff, Lisa and Barb were the most bubbly museum tour guides you could possibly imagine! They were dressed in hula skirts for the 40th anniversary of Sam dancing a hula on Wall Street and the ladies had everyone participating in the Walmart cheer! Fun stuff! Walmart stores and office buildings all over Bentonville, AR. The original, on a small street corner is under a big renovation, but took a photo anyway and we stopped at a very huge store in town and picked up a couple things.

It was interesting to see some history and highlights of the Walmart story but this was not much of a museum. I was a little disappointed. I recommend seeing it for yourself though.

Although this place is small, but packed with info. It displays the history of Walmart and sam’s club. Me. Sam Walton attitude of how he see things. It’s a free tour. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location is currently under construction, so they moved it to down the street and fit everything in one room. If you have half and hour to spare, you should stop by. And the town is very cute to walk around too.

Neat museum! Worth going inside when you are in town to check out Walton's 5-10. Its free and has some neat artifacts from the early days of Walmart and Sam's Club. One thing that amazed me was the digital display showing the new Walmart's added each year since its beginning.
Kevin Maloy — Google review
Interesting whether you shop at Walmart or not. Walmart is a brand you commonly see all over America, but I didn't know the details this museum offered. As you might expect, the exhibits are glowing and celebratory of their founder Sam Walton, including his office preserved behind glass, his pickup truck, and his wife's wedding dress. No matter how you feel about Walmart, seeing the full timeline from it's founder's birth to the present is a fascinating story of innovation, business, branding, and extraordinary success. There are surprises and nostalgia as you learn about Walmart trying to compete and keep up with changing times. Try some Grapette soda! Please note: The 5 & 10 storefront is the entrance to the museum. Inside the door you will find the gift shop and ticket desk.

A very interesting museum! The story began with the denial of lease renewal to the founder, to running a nationwide business and how humble he was attributing his success to his employees. It goes without saying that stories of 'Karens of the era' are equally intriguing. It is also fun to appreciate the products of the time. I was there in summertime when the cafe was selling a honey ice-cream.

The Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art is a renowned art museum in Northwest Arkansas that features a wide range of works from celebrated artists. The museum has beautiful grounds and offers miles of free bike trails for visitors to enjoy.
Wonderful art museum. And the staff were fantastic. I missed out on getting a (free) ticket to see the Frank Lloyd Wright house, so they let me see one of the paid exhibits for free instead. The Dirty South special exhibit was challenging and thought provoking and very well produced. The art galleries were well laid out in (mostly) chronological order, with plenty of room for everyone who wanted to get up close to the artwork.

Beautiful trails with art all along the way. The Narcissus balls are mesmerizing. They reflect the sun and the clouds and the other balls with their reflections and on a windy day with high cirrus clouds it's like watching a movie. It changes and the changes as well. There are so many fun and whimsical pieces of art that the walk is a true treat. My favorite portrait in the gallery was Kindred Spirits. The food in the restaurant is delicious and the restaurant is well placed at the end of the gallery. All of the docents are helpful and friendly. Highly recommend, especially the trails.

A wonderful experience. The museum is really good and the temporary exposition of Diego Rivera is worthy. The trails are by far the best thing about it, you can walk around 3 - 4 miles in the forest and watching some curious sculptures, and if you have a bike you can go down special trails for them which looked thrilling

All respect to the Louvre and the British Museum, but this is the best museum I've ever visited. It has huge exhibit space with excellent permanent and temporary exhibits, miles of walking & biking trails, drop-in creative spaces for kids and adults, even live opera performances in random galleries. And Listening Forest was enthralling. I went through the whole thing 4 1/2 times.

This is a beautiful art museum. I love the outside walkway with the art pieces lining the path. This is where the Frank Lloyd Wright building is located. The giant sphere is really pretty as well. The skylight in the lobby is gorgeous and so is the ceiling by the restaurant. The building itself is massive and surreal. It's really neat to look at the building from the 4th floor glass patio. I didn't realize how big this museum was. We didn't have enough time to see all of it so, we will have to go back when we come back to Arkansas.

A lovely way to spend several hours. I was fortunate enough to visit when school had started so the galleries were not overcrowded. The buildings and surroundings are almost as wonderful as the art contained inside. Lots of staff to answer questions. Was able to get tickets to the Frank Loyd Wright house so I took that self-guided tour. South Stopped for a glass of wine in the restaurant and enjoyed the music at happy hour in beautiful surroundings. As I was leaving I noticed many locals out taking advantage of the many trails and walking areas around the museum. Could not be better!

Took my family there on quick educational get away. My oldest had written an essay about this place for school which prompted us to check it out. Well it did not disappoint. It was fun to just go in and see different artists work. For one of the areas that I went through, in American history, there was landscape paintings. Those art pieces brought peace to me and took me to this state of mind that I was there in the moment watching this scene right in front of me. Once I moved towards modern art it definitely gave me new perspectives towards life. Definitely recommended this museum for those interested in both historic and modern arts.

I am a huge fan of the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art. I live locally, so I am blessed enough to check out the museum a few times per year. It is definitely at the top of my list for places to bring visiting family and friends. The trails around the museum are great for walking, biking, hiking and enjoying the outdoor art. The inside is equally interesting, especially because they are always moving things around and featuring new pieces. You never step into the same museum when you go to Crystal Bridges, because the art is a living thing that they don't stick in a spot to be forgotten or glossed over. Some pieces, naturally, are the foundation of their collection, but because everything around changes it is exciting and makes you look at the art in a new way. On a lighter note, you may even be inspired, as were my out of state friend and I, to try a new hairdo! Get out, have fun, and spend a day or two exploring this really special spot in Northwest Arkansas. Another major bonus? The museum has free admission so you can save your money for their restaurant or coffee bar on the main floor! Yum!

Enjoyed the museum a lot. When in the area again, I will visit. I would like to see more of the outside sculptures next time. Hopefully I will have a electric wheelchair so I can get around easier. I could only manage a small area but got some nice photos. The inside had so much to see you can't absorb it all in one visit.

I can't believe there would be a better venue for exhibiting artwork in the U.S. Just an amazing facility and grounds; well designed and maintained. There is an impressively wide collection of works that change and rotate on a regular basis. This recent trip was my second (the first was within a few years of opening), and I look forward to returning after renovations are completed in a few more years.

This is a world class museum. The structures themselves are architectural marvels laid into the landscape in brilliant and unique ways. Even the freaking dam underneath is innovative (take the free tour).
On top of that the free collections that you can just go see anytime are fantastic and varied. There's a lot to walk around for or just sit and get comfortable. I haven't even gone to a pay exhibit yet, but will in the future.
I can't really understand someone not visiting if they are anywhere in NW Arkansas. It's worth the trip, multiple times and people in the wider region should be taking advantage too.

The museum itself could be an amazing experience if you were not stared down by staff making sure you are wearing a mask.
The coffee bistro is super cute. They had simple syrup!
One of the employees his name was Kurt and he was cold and almost rude. I asked him if he thought the coffee was good,.he said, I can try it, if I don't like it I can get my money back. He said everyone has their opinion.
That was not what I wanted to hear about the coffee from it's seller. His counterpart, she was so nice.
We walked from one end to the other just to be told we couldn't take our coffee.onto the art museum part, and the outside viewing areas we not open. It was a disappointing trip for sure. Nothing could be shown there that would encourage me to go back.

I have been to Crystal Bridges about 10 times since it has opened. I have also been a member and gone to events there. Never had anything less than a stellar experience. Saw 'Chad Diety'. Really liked the intimate space. Tech was top notch, and the show was well acted. The show itself was a pleasant surprise that went WAY deeper than expected. Beautiful facility, good show choice, good cast and crew. Really enjoyed my time here.

We went to a show that was for children. It was absolutely awesome! My two kiddos had so much fun! It was very interactive and hands-on. The show was not just a sit and watch. We got to move around the whole building and they had different Science experiments for them to do in different parts of the building. It was very neat! Would definitely recommend!

It was incredible-- great space, set, and acoustics. Saw a dress rehearsal of "Tiger Style " -- It was a great show -- fast moving and FUNNY! Opening today, & yes, we are going to see it again!

Absolutely beautiful venue and one of our favorite places in Fayetteville. If you are a fan of theater and live performances, this definitely should be on your list of "must-go" places! First class all the way!

I love the new TheatreSquared art space. It's an excellent place for the community to experience the arts or just come to relax and have a cup of coffee. You can also buy a craft cocktail based on the show, a glass of wine, or a local craft beer and enjoy them in a glass within the event space. It is very intimate and makes you feel a part of the family.
My wife and I have seen several shows and they are all very well done, providing a perfect cost effective alternative to the Walton Arts Center. I am always impressed at the level of the technical skill and craftsmanship of the sets, as well as the lengths that they go to ensure EVERYONE has a wonderful time. I think one of the things that really blew me away, was what they did for parents with high energy children during the Christmas Carol performance. TheatreSquared provided them a space on the second floor that was streaming the show, so no one had to have an interrupted viewing. I mean who thinks of that!?
Whether you are going for the ambiance or for one of their many excellent shows, you will find yourself both enamored and amused with the TheatreSquared art space. I can't wait to see what they have in store for the future!

Update: The new building with 2 separate production areas is just beautiful. We have seen many of the new plays (as many as we could during COVID) and we will continue to support and enjoy! Don't miss the restaurant and bar/coffee as well! Really good!
Such a wonderful part of Fayetteville! We've seen so many great plays at T2 over the years and the new spaces are incredible! Looking forward to MANY more great plays here!

Cute theater. The seats had extra spacious legroom compared to other theaters I’ve been in. The room was super cold so you may want to bear that in mind.

Loveeeeee this theater! Went a saw a alien musical and it was so fabulous! They even had a pop up bar with themed drink just soo cool!!!! Odd that other guest chose to wear football shirts, jerseys and hats to a musical but oh well not everyone has respect for theater

I finally canceled my membership at the end of last season. I got so sick and tired of play after play colored by "politicly correct" undertones. I don't go to the theater to be indoctrinated.

One of THE best things in Fayetteville!! Great professional live theatre, great atmosphere...and the Commons bar is a favorite spot for for coffee, cocktails and nibbles...day or night. So lucky to have T2 in the NWA regional arts community!!
Beautiful lights at the square. We've never been here before but will have to come back during the day when businesses are opened.

The garden was only a wrap-around garden of a building from what I could tell. Maybe I should try again when the flowers are blooming. The downtown area is really neat though. Lots of cool buildings.

Fayetteville, Arkansas - a little cool outside this time of year (Nov 1), some plants already frost damaged, but a very nice square, shops, already beautifully being beautifully decorated for Christmas, bernadette found great pizza place for a snack, and then also an excellent Italian place, and many things to do! Parking gets a tiny crowded but worth exploring!

We were downtown to eat at a local restaurant and just happened to be there on the opening day of the Lights of the Ozarks.
It really was a beautiful display! There were food trucks set up and the entire square was lively and buzzing with excitement.
It was very cold at the time so we didn’t stay long, but it really is a pretty place to go see if you are in the area between November 18, 2022 - January 1, 2023.

One of my favorite places for photo shoots in Fayetteville. Christmas time, and the Lights of the Ozarks display is unique and truly special for night time photo sessions and wedding proposals. But the square is photogenic regardless of the time or season.

I came here yesterday with my dog, and I noticed the city staff putting the Christmas lights around the garden and square center in preparation for the Christmas holiday. The gardeners also changed the plants to fit the cooler temperature and holiday vibes.
This place is a fantastic spot to see while taking a break from in-between shopping around the boutiques.

Lake Fort Smith State Park
State park
Nature & Parks
Park
In a scenic Ozark valley, this lakeside setting offers camping, fishing, kayaking, hiking & cabins.
Great park. Newly renovated in 2008, I think. Sites were really nice & there are 2 ADA sites. Bathrooms are really nice with showers. Clean & we'll maintained. We'll be back. (We were in site #25). Be sure to bring an Easy-up for shade as there is no pavilion over the table.

We stopped here for 2 nights coming from Texas to Missouri. It is a beautiful, well maintained, quiet, large cement pads, picnic tables, fire pits and gorgeous scenery. The ladies working in the office were super friendly and helpful. The trails were lovely with several small waterfalls. Definitely one of the nicest parks we've ever stayed.

We stayed at this campground in western Arkansas both going and returning from Arizona. It wasn’t yet busy in late March and then early April - the weather wasn’t warm yet. Very nice ! Hiking trails can be accessed from the camp ground, sites are spacious, mostly open, many overlooking the lake. The restroom we used was very clean. Nice Visitor Center

Just discovered this park today after years of seeing the sign from I40. We went a little ways up the Pig Trail then turned off to the road to the very nice and clean visitor center. It has a beautiful view of the lake from above that is handicap accessible. We took a little trail to the bottom area, which is lakeside. There is a huge Pavillion with a fireplace and 2 large grills. This is a pay to reserve Pavillion but there are plenty of single and double picnic tables with nice grills to use for free. The lower day use area has 2 nice clean bathroom buildings ( one in the marina building).
We walked back up the road to the top.
Rebecca Hardgrave — Google review
Stayed at the park this last weekend with my kid in a tent. We were near the bathhouse on the back part of the loop, and I have never seen a cleaner or better-maintained facility. They came around to collect trash multiple times per day. The bathhouse looked like it is cleaned every day.
Even though every campsite was in use the park was quiet day and night. People that passed by were friendly and kind. I found the park staff to be very helpful and friendly. I appreciate that you are allowed to go ahead to your site if you arrive late and check in the following morning.
This park is beautiful! The playground, marina, and views of the lake are all lovely areas. The trails, the ones we went on, were a bit rough but had gorgeous views. I do wish there were more signs along the trails, but a trail map or a trail app could be used.
I think I should mention that there is pretty much no phone reception or WiFi at this place. I think they have WiFi at the visitors center; not sure how reliable it is. To make phone calls we had to drive a bit out of the park towards the highway where we could get some reception. I was fine with this as we were there to spend time outdoors anyway.
We had a fun and quiet time enjoying nature, roasting hot dogs and s'mores, and bundling up in our sleeping bags when it started getting cold at night. Highly recommend this park for family time or for anyone that enjoys fishing, hiking, or just sitting outside in the quiet.

What small section of the park I visited, it is one of the cleanest state parks I've ever visited. The restrooms were large and open, very clean and full of hot water. We walked a portion of the ozark highlands trail and then back. We were just stopping off for a quick hike, so we didn't have much time this visit. But will definitely be back. The lake had lots of SUPs, boats, and people fishing/swimming. It looked like all the camp sites were reserved. The trail was nice and well marked with lots of cool things to see on the way. It was definitely hot though so make sure you always take more water than you think you'll need! The cool shower was very nice before we headed back out on the road!

Beautiful state park, beautiful lake with rental boats, kayak, tours, cabins, and activities.
We left KS for a weekend getaway but didn’t plan anything out. We just knew we were heading southeast. We came upon this lake and we’re lucky enough to stay in one of their cabins for the night too.
We loved our sunset kayak tour on July 2-I don’t remember our tour guide’s name but she was attentive and incredibly knowledgeable about this lake and it’s surroundings. It was easy to see that she was passionate about her job and that makes all the difference.
The cabins were fantastic too. We only stayed the one night but all they had available was a 2 bedroom, so we booked it. It was about 200$ but it came with 2 king size bedrooms 2 large bathrooms(one w/shower & one w/jacuzzi tub) a huge back deck and nice outdoor table. There was also our own grill and patio table and seating too. It could have easily housed a really good sized family easily. Also, all items were included. No need to bring towels and sheets. Check out the pictures to see more.
Lots of deer and other wildlife too. We loved it and will be back for a longer stay with more family/friends next time.

This is such a beautiful park. Well maintained. There are plenty of sites for camping, cabins, picnic tables that are covered, a very spacious pavilion with plenty of parking. It’s such a serene spot! The visitor center has lots of things to see and learn about too!

Lake Ft. Smith is awesome. It's a great place to get away. The campsites are great and theirs not a lot of boats like Beaver Lake. So, kayaking is great, and the fishing is good. Plus, an added bonus is that we don't have cellular service unless we are in the middle of the Lake. So no phone distraction

Great playground in a beautiful setting. Nice day use area. Camp sites are well separated. Short walk to several good hiking trails. Nice MTB trail. One of the cleanest (state or federal) parks I've seen.

Another park on my quest to visit all 52 Arkansas state parks! Looking back through old photos, I realized that 10 years ago we had stopped here on a drive through the Ozarks and I thought it was so beautiful...then unknowingly came back to camp here a decade later! Loved the RV campground. Lots of trees & shade, huge boulders off to the side of each campsite. Nice for basking in the sun! There are a couple of pull-through sites but our back-in site was easy to park and set up. Bathhouses were very clean, and the only problem we had with them the whole visit was a swarm of wasps outside the one on the lower campground sites.
Several trails for hiking, some of which are entirely shaded, and you can hike part of the Ozark Highlands trail here. I hate that you can't swim in the lake, but since it's a public water supply, it's understandable. There's a great pool though, plenty big with slides. There's also both a kids pool and a splash pad, so there's no shortage of water fun for hot days. Visitor center is quite nice with a little necessities/gift shop and a STELLAR view from the porch, even better if you stroll down to the overlook.
Warning: your insect repellent is VERY IMPORTANT here. There are a million ticks, and you don't necessarily even have to go on one of the hiking trails to pick them up.
Definitely get your groceries on the way in, or at least be prepared to drive half an hour for groceries, as the Walmart in Alma is the closest place. On the whole, it feels like a very off-the-grid place; like a hidden gem in the state park system, especially in comparison to DeGray Lake, which was a bit more crowded & less private. It was very relaxing & I highly recommend it!

It was the 1st time I had visited this area of the park without dropping off people and heading straight home. I enjoyed the self tour of the area along with the information provided by the rangers on duty. This area has a long standing history as part of the Alphabet Administration as it was known for FDR (Franklin Delano Roosevelt) to help bring the country out of the Great Depression. I wasn't able to enjoy any of the activities offered due to working, but I plan on coming back in the future.

A very well maintained park. There’s a one way driving loop that has 10 spots where you can stop and read about what happened. Very interesting. Stop 8 was closed due to construction. Park Rangers were very helpful and knowledgeable. The visitor center was open. We went first thing in the morning before it was too hot and it was nice and quiet. No other cars were in the loop with us. Museum was also interesting.

What an interesting place. I'd never been to a Civil War sight before. There are places to stop along the loop with views of this well preserved battlefield. The upgrades in the visitor center are very well done. Clean and fresh appearance, doing a very good explanation of how the battle took place and why. Who were the troops, where they were from, and why they put their life on the line to fight for what they believe in.

Had the 162 anniversary. Very informative and the reconstructionists camp overnight in battle uniforms and set up camp just like in 1862. Easy movie to watch there or at home. I will go back next year because we went to the baseball game in Fayetteville and didn't get to see the reenactment with the live muskets and cannon fire.

Wow! An incredibly well-maintained park with lots of scenic views and informative historical exhibits. I wish the visitor center was open, but the park was so pretty, quiet and peaceful otherwise! I went on a Monday morning in January -- it was nearly 60 degrees -- and the place was not crowded at all. Very enjoyable experience here! I will certainly be back.

The Battle That Saved Missouri for The Union
On March 7-8, 1862, over 23,000 soldiers fought here to decide the fate of Missouri which was a turning point of the war in the Trans-Mississippi. This 4,300-acre battlefield honors those who fought and died on these hallowed grounds.
Once inside the Visitor Center, there is a 28-minute orientation film "Thunder in the Ozarks." The park's film was produced in 2001 and provides the visitor with an excellent production of the reasons for the battle and what happened during and after the battle.
Free entry. It’s a 6.2-7 mile drive across all the stations spread across wherein you can get out of the vehicle, take pictures and listen to audio tour on your phone.
You can walk the trails and approx. 7 miles, if you’d like.
Free Wi-Fi at visitor center.

Was surreal. Family History trip, following path that 3rd great grandfather and 2nd great grandfather took when moving from Missouri to Texas. 2nd great grandfather used to tell his children and grandchildren about crossing the Pea Ridge battlefield right after(I assume the next day).
The internet reception wasn't great, so it was hard to do the guided tour, but it was still worth the drive, and stopping to look and just reflect on the space. Beautiful fall scenery in a place that witnessed such violence and death. The juxtaposition was unreal. Of course, if it was jarring for me, it makes me wonder what it was like for a 6 year old boy who much later said he witnessed the aftermath of the carnage himself.

Fantastic museum and as cool as the battlefield is with cannons and fencing from the Civil and the trail of tears, it is also sad to think of what happened at this place.

I had mixed emotions when I visited this site. I wanted to visit this site but to know so many died here. The host were great too. Thank you.
The War Eagle Mill is a historical site that features a functional gristmill, guided tours through its rich past, and an eatery serving down-home cuisine. Additionally, visitors can explore the quaint gift shop or walk across the bridge to the farm for scenic views of the mill. The surrounding area also hosts seasonal flea markets with live music and arts and crafts vendors selling unique items.
Fantastic historic old working mill. Great place to bring the kids and spend the afternoon. Perfect spot for a picnic by the water, a photo shoot or check out the Cafe. Great southern comfort food. Including homemade beans and cornbread (stone ground corn meal also available for purchase) plus meatloaf sandwiches and homemade cobblers. Awesome place to buy gifts for the foodie in your life too.

We stopped off here while traveling through. The gift shop on both floors are rather small, but we spent about 30 minutes walking through them and another 30 minutes checking out the area. There was several fisherman by the water catching fish, kiddos swimming near the bridge and some families enjoying a picnic at the tables. There's a cafe upstairs but we didn't have time to eat. The mill working on the inside is very cool to see in person, especially for kids! We walked across the bridge to find a trail down to the water and a cool log cabin. There's also an area that appears to have fairs and events there. Very peaceful down by the water and a great backdrop for photos!

Definitely worth finding the mill off the beaten path! It is a beautiful place with a lot of history. The store had so many items that were unique (jams, soaps, candles, cornbread, etc). It was definitely a "favorite" for our trip! We would love to come back to try their lunch specials one day!

Cute little mill. You can take a walk across the bridge, visit the gift shop, or the cafe on the third floor. You can also walk across the river to the farm and get a great view of the mill. We happened to go during the flea market which included live music, a lot of cool vendors. Across the bridge at war eagle farms the tents had many arts and crafts vendors that sold some really creative things. Fun time there.

Unfortunately when we arrived the mill itself was closing so we didn't get much time to explore it. Though the one lane bridge is something to enjoy crossing, the waterfall created by the creek that drives the mill is very nice.
Also the creek itself is something to stop and explore. You can creek walk and enjoy the water and scenery. The mill is quite picturesque. Beautiful area. We are hoping to be able to spend more time in the mill itself seeing what it has to offer. It is totally worth checking out the creek, the quiet, and the view of the mill with the bridge. If it's open go in and explore the mill.

It's a beautiful setting along War Eagle Creek. We didn't try the restaurant, but we bought a bag of their Cinnamon Pecan Whole Grain pancake mix. It's really good! They also offer demonstrations of the mill in operation twice a day.

My wife and I didn’t eat here because we already had plans. This place is pretty interesting to read about on the web. I recorded the description signs too that told a bio about the mill.
We decided to slide down to the bridge pillar base to get a better shot of the mill wheel. Definitely had to be careful doing but I would not recommend doing that.
Anyhow this place is a must see at least once if you’ve never been here.

Such a nice place tucked away in the mountains! We loved the shop that had a wide variety of goods, the staff were very friendly, and the restrooms were well maintained and didn't smell like vaults at all! 😅

The outside of this building is super cool and mildly historic. It burned down and was rebuilt, so it’s not original. The ground level entry floor is a gift shop with a little bit of the mill belt and motor visible. There is a man stationed there to tell you about it. The gift shop has some items that are produced at that mill. I wish that we would have been able to see more of the mechanisms and guts of the mill, but it was all covered up. The gift store had various edibles and some other gifts things.
The second floor was a cafe, but more of a lunch counter. We inquired about three different items on the menu board and they were out of each one, so we decided to move on. We went to the third level to see what that was and it was a neat event space overlooking the creek, with lots of windows and space.
We walked around outside and across the bridge for a good view of the mill. Neat place, but I wish it was a bit more historic and less tourist-trappy.

This was our first time and it was very pretty out there but I was not impressed with the service. The teenager that was supposed to be waiting on us was on his phone the whole time. We were shown where the breakfast was by a lady in there so we thought we were supposed to fix it ourselves since he wasn’t waiting on us but when we started fixing our plates the boy finally came over and said he was supposed to do that and he still wasn’t any help when I asked him what I could get he just said “there’s the menu”. After we finally got our biscuits and gravy other couples came in but the boy had went off and they had to wait awhile before being waited on. Other than that it was a nice place.
Rugged natural backdrop for hiking & fishing on Roaring River, which is stocked with trout.
Day tag for trout was only $4 and you could keep 4 trout per person. The hatchery was really cool and the trails fun. My husband enjoyed fishing and there were plenty of trout to try and catch. Camping was amazing. We stayed at spot 24 in campsite 1 which was right by the water. Wifi is free and reaches throughout most of the campsites. We had a wonderful time.

I've never been to a fish hatchery and this park has an amazing one! Just fascinating! It's a beautiful, manicured park with large sites and easy to maneuver big rigs of 40' ft. Great park office to get your fishing license and gear at. Still plenty of people fishing in 50 degree temps so I imagine summer is crazy here. We will return in the fall again. It's so pretty here!

I'm blessed to live close to this park. You don't have to be a fisherman to come here... So many trails and features and great campsites for RVs/tents in addition to cabins and a lodge. The water is crystal clear with emerald and blue tint. Swimming allowed in certain spots. Awesome gift shop too. I'll come here on a whim and just take a stroll and listen to the flowing water and watch the trout activity. Most of the trail system floor is rain resistant but there are a couple of spots you might defer around mud. Some of the trails will get the old ticker pumping with 500ft elev gain in a short span. Whatever tax I pay to keep this place going is WELL WORTH IT

10 out of 10 would recommend. Camping, fishing and hiking. Loved the hiking, wish I had more time to do all the trails though. If you have younger children, be advised after spots on the trails have sharp inclines that might be hard for them.

Amazing place to hike, picnic, and learn a bit about wild life. On some of the trails they have information on the local wild life. The trails range from easy to difficult, so they have something for everyone. Our daughter's school also did a field trip here for the hatchery and nature center. The guides were very professional and informative, when we went to feed the dish they gave the class a huge bucket of fish food and the kids loved it. After they had many pavilions for us to pick from for lunch, they were very clean and had plenty of tables for us. They had bathrooms scattered across the whole park so it was always easy to get to a restroom when needed, they were also clean and well stocked with toilet paper. Also they obviously have trout fishing during the season, with many different spots to choose from. Each area has a set of rules for what you can use, they have signs posted with the rules for you to see. Make sure you have your fishing license and trout tag for the park. Over all this is one of my family's favorite places to visit threw out the years.

Roaring River State Park is a popular state park in Missouri. A family-friendly outdoor adventure place that is beautiful. There are a variety of lodging options at Roaring River. A full-service restaurant can be found at Emory Melton Inn and Conference Center, and there are seven hiking trails, picnic tables, and a nature center for learning about the park. A beautiful creek runs through most of the state park. A great place to fish for trout. We had a good time on the trail near Eagle Rock, Missouri.

Beautiful spring fed lake, cool looking cave spring and hatchery. Has a good store and seems very popular . We didnt have any luck but its a nice area. Some campsite could use some work or reconfiguring. But most was good

This is a great family friendly place to visit. You can fish (i believe there are restrictions/rules and a permit is required), hike, and feed the farmed fish. There are coin vending machines for fish food/pellets. Pretty clean restrooms, and great information on the location throughout. A cute waterfall near the restrooms with an in and out hike going over the waterfall offering a nice view. A bit steep but short and easy. Its a great way to spend a nice day.

This is a beautiful park!! We caught some nice trout! The spring is gorgeous and there are plenty of areas to fish without being too crowded. My only wish is they wouldn’t have giant ragweed as natural pollinators…it’s rough for us allergy sufferers.

I live almost 3 hours from this state park. It is well worth the day trip. You are also able to feed the fish. The park has a quarter machine to get the food. If you don't have change, they have a machine that you can put a $1, $5, or a $10 in. And it gives you all quarters. The trails are well marked and easy to hike. On a sunny day, it would be nice to have a picnic. And there is an area to camp.

Roaring River is an excellent state park! It’s beautiful and there’s so much to see and do. People other to fly-fish, hike, relax, and take photographs. Bald eagles have a tendency to hang around because of the trout. This is truly a serene place.

If you can manage to find the Fire Tower trail, it's a pretty great hike. The maps are not great, the signs are useless and the trail blazes/other markers are an actual joke. The blazes on a woodsy trail are *brown* for the love of all that's holy. Fire Tower connects to the Deer run trail all the way down to the hatchery. The hatchery is pretty cool. You can feed the trout --$0.25 will get you a handful of feed.

One of my favorite places to go fishing, hiking & camping.

Hatchery is really cool. I recommend the tour. The spring is great, and check out the trail that overlooks the hatchery. What a view. The fishing is just OK. No idea why it's so hard to catch a fish here. You can see them all in the clear water. They just don't bite very often. The facilities need updated. But worth the trip overall.

This is one of our favorite places to visit. We camped for the weekend and hiked Pibern Train and spent an hour or so at the fish hatchery watching them feed them.
This beautiful church is made of wood and glass and its windows offer a wonderful view of the surrounding countryside. The church was designed as a place for visitors to enjoy moments of peace and serenity, and it is an amazing sight to behold.
So lovely!! I don't think I took enough photos and I definitely would love to go again. Perfect place for wedding, engagement or anniversary photos! Anyone who loves photography and old chapels would LOVE this place. My kids and husband enjoyed it as much as I did. I look forward to visiting again when vacationing in Arkansas.

A beautiful chapel with unique architecture. A great place to stop by and pray or meditate. I wouldn’t recommend it for small children due to the need to sit and be quite.

This chapel is Heavenly and unearthly. It is so beautiful! I can't even describe how incredible this chapel is. If you love this chapel, I would recommend visiting the Anthony Chapel and the Mildred B. Cooper Chapel. Visiting these chapel is definitely worth the trip.

Calm, beautiful and magical. If you're ever in or near Eureka Springs, definitely make sure you take a few minutes to stop by and check out this marvel in the woods. It shouldn't take more than that, as its just one chapel, but you'll feel like you have walked into an elven structure or something out of a fantasy novel. Be sure to check the times online beforehand though since hours do change daily.

Very beautiful chapel that’s completely worth a stop. Gorgeous views and stunning architecture. It’s so pleasant and delightful. You can bring the whole family, sit inside or browse around. It’s free, which makes it even more of a treat to enjoy!

So amazing! We were first one's for the day so we had this incredible Chapel to ourselves. Time of year was perfect with everything blooming and it is so stunning to see this beautiful piece of architectural history.

The architecture in this place is amazing! It blends in well with the surrounding landscape. The chapel itself is very serene and is a great place for prayer or reflection. Don’t expect much more if you are planning on visiting.

What a lovely little chapel! The construction is beautiful as is the setting. This is a very peaceful spot to simply sit and be. This was our main motivation for driving down from Branson and we didn't regret it. It was a bit crowded when we went and a large charter bus full of people was pulling in as we were leaving. So glad others get to enjoy this spot but I didn't feel like I could fully explore. There's always next time!
M. Morales — Google review
Visited the old (built 1980) and the new (built 1986). It started to rain as we were walking toward the Chapel, and I took it to mean God would like it if I took my time to enjoy Him, so we stayed awhile. Quiet, serene, peaceful, close to nature, it faces a woodland with shelf rocks and treetops. I enjoyed several minutes to pray privately, and there are copies of the Bible around to read if you like (try Psalms 6 and 8 - very appropriate!).
You'll receive a handout when you first come in, explaining the story of the Chapel. They, of course, accept donations. Services on Sunday are offered at 9am and 11am.

This is breathtaking and beautiful. The detail and magnitude is unreal. It's a really picturesque drive to the chapel and very worth the trip. It's only about an hour from Branson, so an easy stop if your in the area.

Absolutely beautiful inside and out. We had our dogs with us so my husband had me go in alone. I walked in, so beautiful and a calming music played. I sat down and closed my eyes. There was a quiet calm that came over me.
I went out to my husband and told him to go in. Just feel the zen, I told him.
It didn’t cost anything when we visited but there is a place for donations. We visited in late September 2023

Thorncrown Chapel is outside Eureka Springs in a wooded area off of highway 62. The entrance comes pretty quick and is located in a turn on highway 62, so maybe slow it down and keep your eyes open. It seemed easier to spot the entrance when headed in the north/west direction out of Eureka springs on 62, it being on the right just entering a turn. The entrance road seems to continue in that direction by just veering to the right.
The other direction (south east off highway 62, towards Eureka Springs) may be harder to spot, as it's in the middle of the turn (on your left). You also kind of need to make a U turn entering the the entrance road from that direction. The entrance road itself is kind of narrow and hilly as it runs into the woods to the parking area.
There's a decent sized parking area that is free to park as you visit. The chapel itself is a very short walk on a path from the parking area. You first pass another smaller building on the right, that I think was an office, as you walk to the chapel. I do not remember seeing any restrooms on site, (but could be wrong) so it's probably a good idea to think about that before you visit, just to be on the safe side.
Thorncrown Chapel itself is a really nice Chapel constructed with stone, a lot of wood and glass. It's not overly large in size, but is fairly tall. It has a really nice design. They do not charge an entrance fee to visit. But they do ask that you consider making a donation to help offset the costs to maintain the site.
They also ask that you only take pictures of the inside of the chapel, from being seated in one of the pews. I moved to a different pew to give me different angles and views for the pictures that I snapped. They also ask that you bring no food or drink into the chapel. It was very quiet and serene and beautiful. It is a really nice place. Very much worth a visit.

Thorncrown Chapel is easily on of the most incredible wedding venues I have ever shot at, period! The light inside the building is like no other and you don't even need to bring any florals or decorations, it's all there! I personally had a super easy time communicating with the staff there, they were all really nice to work with during the wedding.

Most beautiful architecture. Free to visit and donations appreciated. Couldn't see it from the parking lot but just a short walk down a nice path and it's beauty will pop out as you get closer. Photos don't do it justice. The glass is amazingly crystal clear! I wish my windows at home were like that!

An unusual chapel with a very interesting backstory. Of course the setting is beautiful. Unfortunately, we were visiting before the full glory of the trees was evident as it was March and pre-spring. Definitely worth a stop.

So beautiful and tranquil spot to sit and "be with God." Seeing His majestic beauty through the windows in every direction as you quietly meditate with hymns playing. I could have spent more time there.
Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge is a 450-acre facility that provides a safe haven for abandoned and rescued lions, tigers, and other big cats. Visitors can enjoy tours of the refuge while also learning about these magnificent creatures through educational talks. The unique design of the refuge allows visitors to observe the animals from various angles, including an open-air tram ride around the habitats and walking down the center of the sanctuary.
This is a beautiful retreat for the wild animals that otherwise we're not taken care of. I was totally appalled with hearing the stories on how big cats get bread treated and disregarded. It's a real shame. This place and these cats are definitely a must see if you anywhere near the area and even if your not anywhere near find the time and check it out. There's also rooms which is a dream of mine one day I will be able to!!!

We spent two nights in a safari lodge. The accommodations were wonderful, with a comfortable bed, coffee maker, microwave and small refrigerator (stocked with muffins, oatmeal, fruit cups and juice since there is no restaurant on-site), back patio with table and chairs overlooking a field and trees, access to a hot tub and more. Our lodging also included amazing tours. The staff and interns were helpful and informative, and always willing to answer questions. We were sad when our time ended!

This was the absolute highlight of my Eureka Springs trip. I’ve never visited a place with big cats before because I don’t think a lot of them have the animal’s best interest in mind and were mostly looking to line their pockets, but this place is amazing because they rescue animals from bad situations to give them a better life, and not to mention they are non-profit. I will definitely return in the future. We had a wonderful time learning about all the animals and spent a while walking around after the tram tour and got to see/hear a lion caroling. So cool. I highly recommend supporting this place on their endeavors.
Alison Mathews — Google review
2022.03.11 I had a great time on the tour. The open air tram went around the outside of all the habitats. If the animals were outside of their dens, it was easy to see them. I think it is a great design to see animals like this.
Before or after your tour, you can walk down the center of Turpentine Creek and see the same animals from a different angle. You will also get to see a few not visible from the tram tour.
I had a great time and will definitely go again.
Vince Hamilton — Google review
We visited in the winter and I didn't expect to see too many animals but there were a surprising amount of beautiful big cats playing and lounging outside despite the cold temps.
Our group took the tram tour and although it was open air, the staff offered us blankets to keep warm, which was incredibly thoughtful.
The tour was fun and informative and there's lots to explore on foot as well. I saw lions, tigers, no bears though. Oh my. They were hibernating and I can't blame them.
The staff were all friendly and talked about the cats like they were family. And it was a nice facility where they genuinely care for the animals. It's a True Sanctuary after all.
We will 100% be going back in the spring.
Also tons of RV spots and nightly rental cabins. And it's Eureka Springs which is FULL of amazing restaurants, hotels, and shops. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Great place doing wonderful work. Love seeing all of the animals and hearing their stories. Can do a tram ride as well as a walking hour. They have added on a lot over the years. Even have lodging there now if that is something you want to do. Great for big groups. Would recommend if coming to the area.

Fun and educational with a higher purpose. This place takes abused, neglected wild animals, mostly big cats, and gives them a place to live out the rest of their lives as wild animals. The only contact is for veterinary care. Some of these animals have heartbreaking stories, that finally get to have a happy ending thanks to this wonderful place. Go early in the morning to hear the lions caroling! This is the best way to see these gorgeous creatures up close, while still supporting their happily ever after.

What an amazing place with an incredible mission. Be sure to book a tour in advance, though we were able to call and reschedule ours a few hours later on the same day just fine due to a sudden conflict. On the tour, they will tell you all about the animals that they rescue, their background, personality, and more. Some of the big cats have a very sad story and it’s amazing that this sanctuary rescued them and gave them a second life here.
During a tour, some animals will simply be resting away from your view area and you might not see them, but that is normal just like any zoo. Several big cats like to come walk up close as well. They are all behind massive fences, so there is no danger of them getting too close. Our tour was an absolutely incredible experience.
They also have an amazing gift shop with a plethora of gifts and souvenirs. It’s another great way to support their cause and we purchased a few items there as well.
T. C. — Google review
It is beautiful here and I love that the money goes to help these fluffy guys, but it is 30 a pop so a group of four of us 120 bucks for a 40 minute tour, which wouldn't be bad if we were able to enjoy the cats more...this tour is depressing and not for kids, they are going to tell you in detail how each cat was neglected previously, they will stop at empty cages, when the cats make noises they will keep talking over the noises, not very many animal facts or talk about how their lives have improved since coming here. Bathrooms were clean, gift shop staff was friendly! I'd like to suggest signs for tigers history for those who want to know the horrors of tiger breeding and neglect cause it is important to the sanctuary, maybe just try to lighten it up a little and remember to take pauses for guests to enjoy the animals in their newer hopefully happier habitats.

I admire the work and education that they do here!! It was well worth the visit. The lion caroling was a highlight!! It feels good for the proceeds of my visit and gift shop purchases to go toward the care of these animals, a mission every staff member takes to heart.

This is a great refuge and they don't have contact with the animals so they prioritize both the animals and the people safety. Great one to support! They've taken a lot of other animals from so called sanctuaries that weren't treating their animals right. There are some sad stories but these cats and bears are prioritized now and they are not made to perform on tours which is good. You are able to do a self guided tour so you can take the guided tour and if you don't see the animals on that tour you can catch them on the walkabout. It was very enjoyable and I felt good about supporting this Refuge!

Amazing place for a great cause. I have gone here two times now and both experiences were amazing. The second time I stayed in a bungalow on the property to be close to the cats. Super clean and cute on the inside. The tour of the place is great, you take a tram around the place and the tour guide tells you about each animal! Warning, the stories are sad but they are all safe and well taken care of now! This is a non profit organization that you can tell truly cares about these beautiful cats. They also have bears! They also have wheelchair accessible ramps and mounts for the tram ride!

I can not say enough good things about this amazing establishment!!!
All the animals are very well taken care of and have various kinds of stimulation.

Our family absolutely love coming here. The interpreters are always super friendly and knowledgeable. Our room is always clean. We always spend the night and take two (free) tours while we stay.
We like the 4pm tour because it's the last tour of the day and the cats seem more active. We've also noticed more activity at the 9am tour as well. The tours generally last about 45 minutes. There is also plenty to see on foot after the tour is over, as well as a gift shop.
We stay in the Tree House and it is very unique. The kids love climbing a ladder to their loft beds. The loft is tall enough for an adult to stand up in (at least in the center). The beds are just mattresses on the floor but the kids say they're quite comfortable.
The queen bed downstairs isn't my favorite, I have to admit. When two people are in the bed it seems to make you gravitate towards the middle. However, opening the windows and being able to hear lions caroling nearby makes up for it.
The room comes quite well stocked. They provide breakfast items, a microwave, plenty of coffee, tea, an extra fan, TV with a few channels, plates and cups, plastic cutlery, paper towels, and even a wine bottle opener.
I must also mention the bathroom. There isn't much of one to speak of. It does come well stocked with a hairdryer, plenty of soap and shampoo, and makeup removers... but it is very, very small. Very. Small.
The private deck in back is very nice. There is a table with four chairs and it's a perfect place to spend the evening if the weather is nice.
All in all, if you are a cat person, I thoroughly recommend Turpentine Creek. It's an experience you'll remember.

This was a great visit. I love seeing all of the beautiful cats. Most of the cats were rescued from neglectful situations and I'm glad that this sanctuary is taking care of the cats now. They also have great safety precautions for the staff which is very important. Our tour guide was awesome and knowledgeable. I love getting to walk around and spend as much time as we wanted seeing the animals. The gift shop had a ton of cool stuff to buy! I got a beautiful cream colored sweatshirt. I'd say the African Serval was my favorite. She is so beautiful and hissy 😂 We will definitely return the next time we're in Arkansas!
I would also recommend visiting the Thorncrown Chapel and Christ of the Ozarks while you're in the mountains, they're not too far away.

Great wildlife preserve with many beautiful animals on a huge property. The caretakers truly have the best interests of the animals in mind and the facility is GFAS (Global Federation of Animal Sanctuaries) certified, meaning there is no breeding, selling, petting, or any other interaction of people and animals on the property. The glamping tents are very comfortable and are so close to the animals you can hear them caroling with each other during the night. Definitely recommend and I will visit again if I'm ever back in Eureka Springs.

The St. Elizabeth Catholic Church is a beautiful and historic church that was built in 1882 by a missionary priest stationed at Fort Smith outside of Eureka Springs, Arkansas. The church is noted for its stunning exterior stonework and intricate interior decorations, including beautiful statues, gorgeous stained glass windows, and crystal chandeliers. The church is an important part of the local community and is frequently visited by tourists.
Went there on a chilly spring day. The whole filling of this place is calming. An incredible place to reflect in. Explore the grounds and crescent trail near here.

Quite possibly the most authentic of the small baroque era cathedrals of the toy catholic terrier breeds in original condition, on this side of the Mississippi. I’ve been all over this country in search of the authentic flagellation experience of plague era Medieval superstition and I’ve yet to come across a more astounding and historically accurate effigy to the stoicism and stubbornness of religious zealotry in the heart of “less than catholic tolerating” America. The Saint Elizabeth parish Catholic Church cathedral is a quaint commercialized tourist hub that you will most certainly extract all five stars of (or six stars of David) from on your barn raising tour de force of Christian monuments to the effigy efficiency of religious monument builders of centuries past.

What a beautiful church! More on the outside, with the old stone architecture, but gorgeous none the less. The whole property is so peaceful, and its such a blissful walk around. The inside leaves a bit to be desired, as its rather small and less ornate, but still is pretty. Only other thing I wish was open: the gift shop.
Highly recommend visiting!

While the incline to go up the hill may seem scary , don’t walk it , take a car instead . It’s about a good 30 minute walk up . The church it self has beautiful stain glass windows and a calm and serene environment . You can light a candle for. Loved one . There is gift shop with reasonably priced items , bathroom is outside next to the gift shop.

This cathedral was beautiful. It had multiple little gardens, a gift shop, and candles you could light inside. However I think the candles need to be watched more carefully as my husband and I had a hard time finding a single candle that hadn't completely melted away to lite. You can go inside and view a small portion but well worth the look. The bell tower sounded while there!!

St.Elizabeth Church was my greatest discovery during my most recent trip to Eureka Springs. I stayed at one of the Chateau Inn cottages, and while I was photographing the inn, I noticed the church tucked behind some trees in the valley below. It looked like Italy.
This is NOT one of those commercial churches that every tourist must go photograph. This is a real church and the spirit within and the beauty outside the church are serene but magnificent.
The Christ of the Ozarks is a 67-foot-tall statue of Jesus Christ located in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. It is one of the most iconic tourist attractions in Arkansas and attracts many tourists from all over the world.

Definitely one of the best "Free" things to do during your visit to Eureka Springs! The trolley will take you within walking distance and pick you back up, or it's located right next to the parking area. There's clean restrooms available near as well as a small gift shop. It was very cool to see in person, and the story behind why they had to cut off some of the bottom was quite humorous! It was cool to see all the birds resting on the top of him! The music playing and the cool trail to the water just added to the visit!

Amazing to see up close and personal this monument of Christ. What a blessing to be able to have this statue for others to enjoy. The literature on the building of the statue is posted near by. There is an area for praying, meditation or contemplation near by. Along with the Passion Play which is a MUST see, exceptional experience I highly recommend going here! Absolutely worth the visit. My second time going (last time was 2018, this time 2023). Went end of September on a Saturday & Sunday (Sunday was less crowded as the Saturday was also The Great Passion Play).
Location: located at the same area as The Great Passion Play, Holy Land, Bible Museum, etc but at the end of the road. You can park & walk or drive up to the statue. There is parking near the entrance gate AND at the end of the road near the statue.
Price: the statue is free to visit.
Favorite times to go: early morning or sunset. Just something so peaceful about the beautiful skies at sunset.
Other things nearby: Holy Land Tours (2 hours; requires paid admission); The Great Passion Play (requires admission), Buffet (requires ticket), Bible museum (free), art museum (free), history museum (free), gift shops, hiking trails. Check their website for open times as some things are only open when The Great Passion Play is occurring.
