I’ve taken my grandchildren there at least a dozen times. They love to go and it’s educational. I take them on hikes & picnic lunch. We also go to the Halloween event and the get to do crafts. They always look forward to the trip to Cochrans! Love this place!!🤗Glad to see you’re open again!!!😊

Hidden gem of a nature reserve in So. Fulton Co. Kids love the exhibits. Try going for the annual Halloween hay ride - it's a fantastic time to see the facility, animals there and meet the staff. It's also a great place for a birthday party. I got to touch and hold an albino boa constrictor (sp)! Where else can one do that!?!? Go!
Robin Fisher — Google review
I love it there. Seeing the animals are great. The outdoor areas are great for the kids. They can feed the turtles and the fish! It's relaxing for the adults. It's a chance to get some sun too.

Unlicensed and now shut down. Maribeth Wansley is the director and ultimately responsible for recently wiping the Board of Directors info from the website, afraid of the just criticism they will receive. Shame on them for taking money (a non profit but how much does the Director make?) by allowing school trips with young children where parents were NOT notified they were visiting and area with water (with waterfalls, slippery rocks, etc). School visitors also not warned the area has of poisonous snakes, etc. While it’s a beautiful natural place with a nice layout, it’s extremely irresponisible to run such place illegally and not provide proper guidance for those parents and teachers who brought young children. The drowning death of a young 5 year old was entirely preventable. Please don’t cut corners, do things the right way, there are reasons for being a licensed and insured establishment.

It sucks that you still have advertisement on your page for a camp that is unlicensed and a child died ( or was killed due to negligence) in your camp July 21,2017 . Have you no decency to take the camp advertisement off your page.....despicable!!! Kids and Families are not smiling....DO NOT SEND YOUR KIDS HERE>!!! only one star cause you have to select a star. Why the heck, I went over today and found that it was closed that was disappointing. Then I found out that they where shut down because a kid drowned. I really enjoyed that place when I went last year and now the state has thrown them out of business! 😔😫😢 Why would you do this to me Cochran Mill !!!!!!!!

I volunteer here and it's really nice, the staff is nice and the animals are awesome, it's a really nice place to go to learn about animals and the environment.
Historical wooded state park offering hiking, picnicking & boating, plus fishing.
A very well-staffed park. Excellent signage to direct you on where to go. We only took the Red Trail to see the Mill Ruins on a quick visit, but I do recommend that one for beginner hikers! The path is nicely packed and wide for comfort without much of a grade. I was a little disappointed in all the fencing around the ruins keeping you from getting a closer look, but I totally understand the purpose of it being there. The water was lovely and calming also. I would recommend this spot for a nice, relaxing afternoon in nature.

Close to the city and never disappoints. The State Park is well maintained, with recent updates to the property. A nice place to enjoy solo or as a group. The trails are moderate, well marked, and hosts beautiful scenery regardless of the trail your on. Good walking/hiking shoes highly recommended. Don’t forget water and snacks! You could stay out there for hours enjoying the outdoors. The day use areas and lake are also cool places to enjoy.
Check weather conditions before starting if it rained recently to make sure no portion of the trails are under water. Definitely recommended and we shall return!

Absolutely gorgeous park, a great escape from Metro Atlanta. Leashed dog friendly. The mill ruins are cool and easy to get to for people of varying abilities, yound and old. They have many trails which are very well marked with lots of blazes. One big thing to note is that after the ruins, the red trail does become more difficult. If you are unsteady, around lots of rocks and tree roots I would take the white trail from the ruins back toward the interpretive center, but If you are up to the challenge the remainder of the red trail is worth the reward.

Beautiful state park! Lots of parking space. Many trails to walk or run on! Beautiful scenery. Perfect for family hikes. Dog friendly. Parking only cost $5.

This park is so great. Mill ruin is pretty. The creek is so beautiful with so many rocks on its surface, you can hop on some of those. There is visitor center with a small museum displaying history of that place. You can see alot of taxidermy animals typically found in the area. Gift shop sells souvenirs like rocks, books, decoration, even plush animals. We got a beautiful bald eagle plush back pack and took a bunch of nice pictures with it.

One of the most loved, and traveled to state parks in Georgia no doubt. The place is absolutely beautiful. You need to come early or you will not have a decent parking spot. I would highly recommend before 9 AM.
The visitor center is huge. The bathrooms are clean and spacious, and it looks like it has undergone a recent renovation.
Do you want to take the red trail down to the river and see the ruins. Past the ruins the trail is very rough and not for children. The white trail is all woods and has a giant circle about 5 miles. We did see some snakes and other animals totally worth it. One of our favorite parks in Georgia .

Great park that’s only a short drive from the city. The grounds are clean and signage is pretty good. Park staff is pleasant and helpful. I went up to rent a kayak for a couple hours and was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to do the rental. Boats are in decent shape and there’s a small ramp for getting in and out of the water. No beach area, but there’s a nice shaded section with picnic tables and room for blankets or your own seating. If you’re looking for this area, go away from the main visitor center and follow the signs for the bait shop. This may be my new go-to spot to get out of the city!

It's always nice to come here and I like how they have been updating it. I came last weekend and I was surprised as to what they have added like the swing by the water, sitting there was very relaxing & the view was very beautiful. The water was really nice, the clearest i've ever seen it. It's always very clean here too!

Stayed in tent spot 5. Uphill climb with all the gear. Many trips with wagon full. But so worth it. Beautiful lake view. Warm bathhouse. Temps got pretty cold overnight in November but had campfire going all week. Lots of hiking trails, variety of difficulty. Great experience.

Nice place to visit very peaceful. There's areas to barbecue or have a picnic. Surrounded by beautiful lake trees and beautiful ducks floating in the water. Place to fish and also put small paddle boats, had a lovely experience. There also a charge it enter someone at the booth to collect the fee or you can put the fee in the box. Have a blessed day everyone 🙌

Always have a great time at this park. So many different trail options and different routes to take. Plenty of places to throw up a hammock and relax. When the water is lower lots of great spots to walk around the rocks in the middle of the creek. Trails are well marked.

This state park is beautiful, and the trails are great. I love the white trail loop (going counterclockwise), and I also love the red trail loop, but it’s currently closed due to erosion. Overall, this is a great morning/day trip if you live close by. Our hike took around two hours, and we did a little over 5.5 miles. 10/10 recommend!

Great place for some mushroom spotting! We walked the Yellow Trail for 2 hours. Lots of water to see. Nice hills. Beautiful lush scenery. The Visitor’s Center is a cool learning space for any age! It has a nice mix of nature and history of the area. Parking looked dicey when we left, so get there early.

Sweetwater Park is a phenomenal place to walk/hike. There are tons of different trails which mixes it up nicely when you have a season pass and go frequently! It’s beautiful along the water…only complaint is that the fisherman litter up the banks with the trash they leave behind. Ruins the beauty!
Eva Arnold — Google review
What a nice place, many hiking trails and beautiful views of the river or the lake. Not too many people, dog friendly and plenty of parking. There are plenty of picnic tables, located all over the park and around the lake. Some trails are under repairs but rangers advised us to take the red trail to the yellow and it was very nice. We were able to enjoy the river, bridge and see the ruins on the other side of the river. Beautiful.....

This is a great state park located in close proximity to Atlanta. For just a $5 parking fee, you can take a car full of people out and enjoy a day in nature. Make sure to check out the ruins and spend some time by the water. The views are definitely worth the hike!

Good for walking trails, a lot water around. Expect a few more attractions for both kids and adults.

Sweetwater is a beautiful park, especially after they reopened the trails near the old mill. We finally broke down and bought an annual pass so we could take our puppy out more. It can be crowded on nice days, but it's worth the drive.

Sweetwater has nice walking trails and has a nice lake for fishing, boating, canoeing, and is great for a picnic. The parking fee is $5 with a daily pass. The park has clean restrooms. The boat ramp opens at 7am, and the bait shop opens at 8am.

Had a great winter hike with my family. Too bad the red trail was closed for maintenance so we could not get up close to the mill ruins. But we had a very fun hike over the bridge, up some hilly terrain, past a large cave, and back to the large creek with nice views of the mill.
Six Flags Over Georgia is an amusement park that is filled with Warner Bros. themed attractions, including high-speed roller coasters and water rides. The park also features shows and family-friendly fun.
Had a blast for fright fest this Saturday. Paid for tickets on the app and got a discount. Paid extra for the haunted houses but did not get to see them because the lines were too long. Surprisingly the lines moved semi fast. We stayed from 2-10pm. Spent $160 something for two adults. There were haunted houses, a concert, several shows and monsters walking around taking pictures with families.
They went all out with the decor and costumes. I wish both funnel cake stands were open because the lines can get crazy but October is a great time to go. The weather was perfect. I usually go during the summer so I’ll most definitely be back. I go every couple of years. My mom was pregnant with me working for Six Flags so I’m excited to see them progress with new rides and renovations.

Overall very enjoyable experience, ride lineup is stellar with highlights such as Twisted Cyclone and Goliath. The park is on the more scenic side for a Six Flags and for the most part was very well kept. As per any park, try avoiding holidays and weekends if you want lower crowds, but even some days in later summer are pretty empty. Would love to see a launch coaster in the future of this park but overall have a great time on my visits here!

What a great Theme Park! I was visiting my family in Atlanta and we decided to spend some fun time here. I lived in Orlando, so I am a regular at the local parks here, so I have my standards (LOL). I was very impressed with the park's layout and all the amenities it has to offer. The ticket prices are very reasonable as long as you buy them online. The price for parking is extremely expensive. More than Universal or WDW in FL. So I highly recommend car pooling or having someone drop you off. There are private parking lots in the vicinity that will charge you less, but get ready for a long walk if you do that. The rides were great, plenty of entertainment for both adults and children and there are plenty of places to grab a bite or two. The Metropolis area was great. I'm a DC / Marvel fan so that was my favorite part of the park. We were there for about 7 hours and still had about 1/2 the park to enjoy. I will definitely return as early as they open to enjoy all the park has to offer. Oh....before I forget. There is also a Water Park in there, so you might need two days to enjoy the full experience.

This was my first time at the Six Flags Park...
I had a good time, though I could not enjoy none of the regular rides cause I'm pregnant... Not even the kids rides I could ride!😱😅... (I was only able to ride the train😅) Not sure if it's cause people before me have break'n safety rules or such... But I would like to recommend for y'all to create something, pregnant women can at least ride without worries about hurting their unborn child or for the other conditions that were shown on the board... Though I must give a shout out... "Thank you for those safety boards as well!!!" Cause they sure did give heads up on who can run a risk if going on the ride/s... I for sure, did not want to run any risks! My child's safety is way more important then any ride! So, thank you!
To anyone who sees this... My husband had fun on all the rides he was able to get on and the day was hot but worth it.
Enjoy and have fun!🥰

Be ready to get your steps in because it's a lot of walking. This large amusement park has everything here. We went on the first day of Fright Fest and they have plenty of scary creatures raoming around. It's best if you purchase a season pass to get discounts on food and merchandise. I haven't been here in years but several of the rides have closed but all of the fun major ones are open. I was glad the lines were not long, so the wait time for the rides were under five minutes. It is still pricey. We spent close to $100 on food for three people. They have plenty of games to play and take your money...lol It was several security people walking around so that made me feel safe. Overall we had a good time and the staff was great and helpful.

I haven’t been in about 18 years, but I took my kids for the first time. They had a blast. Everyone was friendly, facilities were clean. Not too crowded. I spent way too much money on souvenirs and concessions but I knew that going in. Lots of great memories- we’ll be back!

Great fun! Recommended for roller coaster lovers! Just wished all the rides were open - one of the wooden roller coasters was not in operation today. We were fortunate to come on a day with hardly any queues. Maybe because it is Mother's Day.

Great place for a family. Such a nice variety of thrill and family rides. Being from Charlotte, with Carowinds, this park has something that is very important... TREES!!! The shade was amazing. I loved the mix of water rides (flume, monster mansion, rafting) with unique coasters (dive coaster, hybrid, etc). Wish we lived a bit closer. We got there when it opened and closed it down!

Huge amusement park with rides for all ages! Tons of shade and benches all around. Lots of security walking around and keeping the place safe.
We bought a discounted season pass over memorial day weekend, and the kids and I have been 5 times in the last 2 weeks this summer. It has been amazing!
Great water park too!

Visiting Georgia with kids (or without them) this is a must. Enjoying is guaranteed with lot of different roller coasters, you will find your preferred one for sure (mine is Superman Ultimate Flight, but Dare Devil and Batman are also in my first position's list). The pass with all day dinner is a valuable option if you plan to spend the whole day.

Very big amusement park. A lot of thrill rides and kids rides are available. We got an annual pass which is really a good deal. Kids enjoyed the monster mansion!
Since its a Halloween time, we enjoyed the Fright Fest event. Totally we had a thrilling experience.
Vasantharajan Thangaraj — Google review
This place is so damn expensive and most of the rides were shut down ( which didn't effect me too much since I'm too tall for most of the rides). And no one enforces the no cutting in line rule. That said, my kids had fun but 4 hours of fun wasn't worth 500 bucks
Gregory Vance (David) — Google review
Like every Six Flags I've ever been to several of the best rides weren't open because of undisclosed reasons. Several rides also shut down intermittently through the day.
Online food ordering is spotty and only at a few locations for some reason. The app in general is pretty lacking, with poorly readable maps, bad GPS fixes and lots of missing or not working other features, like wait times.
There are a lot of really good rides at this six flags. Goliath is fantastic if for no other reason than its size. The way it is out all on its own is really cool as well, making it seem like the drops are higher and more dramatic.
The Riddler and Batman were both fun rides when they were working, and we enjoyed going on each twice. Unfortunately, numerous rides were closed while we were there, so we missed out on a lot.
We have a membership, so parking was free, but otherwise its $25. If you get drinks without the refill cups be aware half the time there are no lids or straws, so you're just carrying around a large open drink.

Much better than expected!
Purchased a Summer Pass for the family on our road-trip and visited in late June. Very reasonable prices. With the Summer Pass, we can now hit up the park again on the return leg of our trip.
To our surprise the lines were not too long at all - some even walk-on.
The park is nicely spread out on some hilly terrain (so be prepared for some slopes to navigate as you walk) that the crowds were never gathering in one section.
Park was clean and the employees were nice.
I personally liked that some ride attendant gave time limits for you to stash your stuff (if needed) and be in your seat. It made to lines much more efficient.
Many places that you can purchase drinks also kindly gave out cups of ice water at no charge, to help keep you hydrated.
Kevin Malko — Google review
Loved it! All the employees were so kind and helpful anytime I had a question. The lines were not over crowded.. we had so much fun. Im from Dallas Texas and I miss the six flags back home in Arlington . But this six flags definitely gave me some memories of my childhood.. we're planning on going back again soon.. this time with more family and friends ❤️

Attended with family of 6. Got there around 1pm on Saturday (7/29). Overall OK experience. Entering the park was pretty quick. Would recommend buying your tickets in advanace. Things I expected - long lines and the heat - so no negative for those. It is the middle of summer. What I didn't expect was for four of the refill stations we went to for drinks to be out of ice. Filling up on hot drinks in the heat was a negative for me. Also, four of the rides we waited in line for, we ended up leaving due to maintenance issues with the rides. One line we waited for over almost an hour only to have to leave the line. Next time definitely will come with VIP passes and also during a not so crowded time of the year. I did search for turkey legs and could not find any😒. Park for the most park was clean, which is a big plus. Overall, I would come back.

Took the family for the Fright Fest Shenanigans and Pink out Celebration for my Mom! We all wore pink and had an absolute blast. Everyone from staff who recognized the #BeatThePink colors we all wore, were very celebratory towards our visit. Although, some of the food was not good for the prices, we made it an awesome visit. Lots of walking but well worth it.
April Williams — Google review
Overall a good time. Kids had fun. This park is very much a thrill ride kind of place, and didn't feel like it was much in between.
I highly suggest getting there 30 minutes before the park opens, as it sometimes opens early, and this means getting a few rides in while the park is nearly empty.
If you live local, the season passes are a great value and can provide additional benefits. But, while my kids may enjoy that option I was bored within a few hours.
I honestly wish they ran more trams from the parking lot, as the hike to and from the parking lot leaves an easy to deliver bookended experience after a long day of hiking around the park.
Scott Carroll — Google review
Our first time going in the winter. We went on black Friday. We were so happy we went then, it was not busy at all.
At first I was upset because half the park was closed but after a little time we just loved it.
One of the BEST things were the park decorations for Christmas. We wanted to go see the lights at Stone mountain but the price was crazy and we already had seasons passes to six flags. The Christmas were AMAZING, beautiful, delightful, so well done. Great job to the team there that design and decorated.
My kids had a blast which is the most important thing. And I ended up walking much less and spending time in lines due to the lower crowd. We ended up riding Goliath 22 times that day.
What a blast and a new family tradition!
Rob Bess — Google review
Great experience on March 30th. Park wasn’t too crowded and we were able to breeze through lines. 4 stars because a few rides were closed and the food options are limited and very expensive. Rides were fast and fun though!!
Corey Marcel — Google review
My experience was not pleasant. purchase tickets in advance, food, photos and fast pass. The only thing I enjoyed was the fast pass and the Christmas activity.
They never redeemed the food for the entire day, just the one meals, I have never received the photos and I ask repeatedly to the person at the gate entrance. I wrote to them and only received an apology.
If you go buy the passes and the fast pass that saves you a lot of time because the park is very large for the time they have it open. Not worth it. Is a waste of time and money.

We have been coming to this park for over 40 years. This is our first time coming during the Christmas holidays. There was more security than in the summertime. There were fewer rides open, but the crowds were smaller, and the lines were pretty short. Our family really enjoyed all the beautiful Christmas lights.

But I think the food could have been a little better. Is there a defense, They did give you great big portions.

Great experience on Easter Sunday! Very short lines. Not at all crowded. Or daughter went crazy for her first upside down roller coaster! The azaleas were all in bloom and it was very pretty. Bonus that you can take MARTA to Six Flags (Hamilton E. Holmes to Cobb Linc 30 bus)!
The new stadium by the Braves is called Truist Park and it is a beautiful place to watch a game. It has great views of the city and the baseball field is in perfect condition. The team recently moved into this new stadium so it is not yet open to the public, but tickets are available for purchase.
First time at the park and went in with no plan. Paid for GA ticket and parked in lot 129 as it opened the earliest.
First off, parking is not something to go unplanned here. Drove around looking for parking and found most areas close their business and then open parking. So I jumped online and bought the pass. My advice, but in advance and make it simple.
Getting into the stadium was a breeze an I never even made it to my “seats.” Multiple laps around the stadium looking at the shops, vendors and food. The park had a great layout and even walking around there were plenty of great views of the game.
Highly recommend adding this to your list of places to catch a game!

Been here for several games and love this park. Everything feels new and top of the line. Service staff are usually very friendly and cheer the team on along side the fans. Very rarely is a game low in attendance so make sure you get there with plenty of time and join in the fun. There’s something between nearly every inning to keep the crowd entertained. Also, there’s several special sections in the park that have specific amenities only available in that section, so make sure you explore around and have fun!

Great time at this park! Lots of areas to explore. Good view from any seat! Friendly folks all around. Nice concessions. Pay for parking in advance, or take a taxi if you're close enough. Either way, be ready to walk. June 2023

Well, I've been wanting to experience the new Atlanta Braves Stadium for forever. I did it!! Loved it, loved it, loved it. Where to begin... Plenty of premium parking available on-site for a cost (purchase online in advanced for a guaranteed spot). Overflow lots and neighboring businesses accommodate patrons during games at a more reasonable expense, though uncovered walking will be involved. Extremely long lines are at the entrance gates but moved pretty well, considering hundreds of fans are in attendance. Seating sections are clearly marked and staffed for assistance. Concessions are standard with a few restaurants located within. A couple of fan experience events are staggered throughout the stadium. Bathrooms were well maintained. Pricing is still ballpark high no matter what you're purchasing (souvenirs, food or beverages, etc). TV monitors are placed everywhere, so if you are in line, you can see the game.

We did a field trip with my kids' school, so we got a behind-the-scenes tour. Pretty cool experience for it being Spring Training time without players or anyone to talk to. The tour guide was a little...different, but the kids still enjoyed seeing everything.

My recent visit to Truist Park for a Braves vs. Rangers game was great. This ballpark is an absolute gem, nestled in a fantastic area of Atlanta. From start to finish, it was a fantastic place to enjoy America's favorite pastime.
The park itself is top-notch, boasting a plethora of food and drink options. What sets Truist Park apart is its surrounding area. Connected to the stadium are numerous bars, restaurants, and stores, making it a true destination for fans. Whether you want to grab a bite before the game or continue the fun afterward, there's something for everyone right at your fingertips.
I will definitely visit again.

The food and drink options are definitely great for stadiums. Plus, an Amazing team. It's a win win.

Road the carriage to and from E43 parking. What an experience. The guys are great and know how to maneuver through traffic. We paid cash so not sure if they take credit cards.

The new park is great. Right in the Battery. What a fun venue. We were able to see everything. The concessions were hot and fresh. Prices were reasonable for a sporting venue. The staff working was super friendly and knowledgeable.

I went to a braves game last year and this was a nice modern baseball park. I loved the amenities and the park was very up kept. The food was very overpriced and that's unfortunate for the quality. Parking was suboptimal but not horrendous. If you never have been I would suggest checking out a braves game when you get a chance.

I had the pleasure of visiting Truist Park for the first time with my wife and younger son, and it proved to be an incredibly memorable experience filled with excitement. The atmosphere and energy of watching a Braves game live far surpassed what we had previously experienced through television broadcasts. Although parking posed a challenge, the overall experience made it well worth it.
To ensure a smoother experience, I highly recommend booking parking in advance to secure a spot closer to the venue. As my wife had a knee problem, I dropped them off near the entrance and then proceeded to park the car. It took me approximately 15 minutes to walk to the park's entrance. After the game, I left a bit early to retrieve the car and met my family halfway, making it easier for my wife and son.
Apart from the parking difficulties, the event itself was fantastic, leaving us with cherished memories. The vibrant atmosphere and the thrill of being part of the game created an unforgettable experience.

Watched the Braves crush my Red Sox. Had great seats and really enjoyed the game. Back to back homers by the Braves in the first inning and another one later in the game. Great service and a real upscale experience. We had parking passes, and zoomed past the jam up at the lower garage entrance and went up to the roof. Great tip to get in quick next time you are here.

We took the stadium tour and really enjoyed it. Our tour guide shared so many interesting facts about the young stadium and the history of the team. Plus, due to the player lock out, we were able to see the player dressing room and go on the field, which aren't normally stops on the tour! Would recommend the tour as an activity for tourists and locals alike! (We weren't there for a game, but I've heard that's a great experience, too.)

Really big, very nice park only issue they didn't have the smaller souvenirs in all the stores. Only one which had a long line as we were leaving. So it took a while to get our souvenir. Oh, yeah, and the app lies, parking lot E47 is more than a 15 minute walk. And the rickshaw drivers have different prices.

Downright one of the best MLB stadiums/ballparks/fields that you’ll EVER see. The experience you get is legendary. I’ve never been able to post my actual experience, so I’m just putting some of my pictures and videos from last night. Everything about this place just screams amazing to me. The first time I came here was an amazing experience. This is not my first time being at this place though. I hope that more people can come here and experience the fun as well. It will definitely be worth your time.

Truist Park baseball stadium for the Atlanta Braves in the Atlanta metropolitan area. This is one nice park. The Braves Hall of Fame area is incredible. Check my reviews, rarely do I give 5 stars. This ballpark deserves it. Like all ballparks or venues, everything in here is going to cost more than what it costs outside the park. For example, a 20 oz Coke is $6.45.

I went to the Roxy for concert and may NEVER be back. They had NO adequate parking for handicap needs. The lines were INSANE. Entering we found there was NO adequate ADA accommodation for someone with a huge fall capacity. They invited paying $50-100 more for balcony seating. It was full. Who heard of paying for a disability. I haven't. We posted ourselves by a pillar. But one hour in line then 2 hours stand complicated the disability and was problematic. HORRIBLE. I called and called beforehand and sent unanswered messages to ask for details on accommodations with absolutely no luck. They didn't care either. Never again. Parking was far or pay $50 and permit. Shameful. I could nor find any tickets besides $70 general admission. It was my birthday and I wanted something different. This was too much.

Absolutely beautiful park! We have taken the full tour of the park during the off-season, and I would highly recommend taking it if you get a chance. The entire battery is amazing! The restaurants and shops are all top-notch, and parking is always pretty easy.

Great place to go have a nice walk, grab some dinner, and shop. We took some visiting family there for the holidays and they enjoyed it. There’s a restaurant called Superman and I highly recommend trying it out. I’ve also been there on Game days and they’re super fun here for the whole family. The environment is friendly, fun, relaxing, yet energetic (if you love baseball).

This is a beautiful stadium. In our seats, we could not see the screen. There are lots of food options and the staff was all friendly. Make sure and know the guidelines for bringing stuff in. They will not allow any bags they can't see through.

Without Twice, Truist Park is just a huge, hard to navigate stadium with overpriced water. BUT, put Twice and ONCE in there and you have a core memory you won’t ever forget.
But for real, prepare to walk very far from parking, prepare for the weather since it’s an open stadium. Be smart and bring small clear bags that will pass security easy and try to get closer seats. Compared to other stadiums, these seats are much less steep and therefore way further from the stage. If you’re able to pay a bit more for a closer section then it would be worth it.

Great ball park. So much better the any other park or stadium I've been to. I got there with time to explore. The Battery is loaded with places to eat. In e at the Battery just roam the area without fear of traffic. The stadium is full of things to do, to buy and just enjoy.

Another great Braves Fest in the books. Thank you Atlanta Braves for always putting on such a wonderful experience. Also, thank you to all the players for signing autographs. For small collectors like myself, it means so much.
I cannot wait until opening day. Through rain or shine, win or lose, I'll always cheer for you!!
Go Braves!!

Well I’m not a fan of the suburban ballpark trend but I have to say we had a great experience at Truist. The pregame atmosphere was the best I’ve experienced of the 27 MLB parks I’ve been to and should be emulated by most clubs around baseball. It probably helps that the Braves are perpetually good, but there was truly something for everyone and gave people a reason other than the game to come out.

We stopped here for lunch to try our Fox Bros BBQ and it was delicious. Parking was free for up to 3 hours. A ton of great restaurants there. Luckily we went on a non game day so was peaceful and beautiful weather. We enjoyed our lunch outside!

Great ballpark with lots to do for everyone. Excellent views from all areas of the stadium. A good variety of local and typical ballpark fare. The beer is overpriced as expected, but $4 grilled hotdogs are to be found.

I’m not a Braves fan but this park is amazing.
Easy to walk around, plenty of food options and being able to see the action from the main concourse is a huge plus!
Prices were not bad for what you get, other parks and arenas are a lot more expensive.
Highly recommend for an enjoyable night at the ballpark.
There are a lot of options outside the stadium before the game but about 50% of them close or cut the food off after the game.

Date night with the hubby, and we had A BLAST! The Battery has AMAZING places to eat, watch the game, or just come for lunch/dinner.
Braves won that night, and the atmosphere was spit on the entire time. The prices are CRAZY, but it's a ballpark lol. 2 20oz sodas cos us almost $13, so be prepared.
There are restrictions on the bags you can bring in. Keep them clear or a thin, cross-body style. Be prepared for the metal detectors, but they have to keep us safe!
It's an amazing experience everyone should try at least once.
Marietta Square is a charming city park, bordered by restaurants and shops, featuring a replica of the Liberty Bell, benches and a fountain. Visitors can enjoy the vibrant atmosphere with live music, browsing through numerous vendors' stores or simply relaxing on one of the benches. The surrounding murals add to the park's aesthetic appeal. Free 2-hour parking is available nearby for convenience.
This visit was a pleasant surprise. We visited thinking just a quaint little town with lots of shops, etc., but there was a full blown Festival happening! So much to do and see, so many little shops and vendors, live music, eating, browsing, buying, watching or just hanging out. We were traveling from Ohio and had toddlers to teens + our pooch and there was something for everyone. Great job little town of Marietta Square ❤🐕

I visited for a food festival. So very disappointed. Vendors tripled prices for just tasting items. Food wasn't good. Would not go to a food festival held here. Parking limited. Marietta police and fire dept. Were available to assust with situations. Very professional. I have visited just to sit in the gazebo or listen to live music. I have eaten at many of the restaurants there and was never disappointed. I’ve gone there on a date night and even was a spectator of several weddings at the gazebo. Enjoyed very much.i have never been disappointed with any of the restaurants that I've dined at. Many small restaurants and you can eat outside and enjoy. It's very quaint. Would recommend for a date night or just to go chill.

So many things to do at the city center of my hometown! The Strand Theater is still right there on the corner! There is a playground for the kids to enjoy, and there are public restrooms (real ones, not port-a-potty!) There are restaurants and bars all around the square. Social events are held frequently here. I was most recently here on behalf of Team Trivia filling in to run the weekly Trivia Game at Red Hare - The Still on the Square. Great bunch of folks there to enjoy a fun game of Trivia!

I always have such a great time when visiting Marietta square. So many restaurants and bars that are in walking distance of each other. The square itself is a great place to grab a bench and people watch or read. I visited for Chalktober fest, breakfast, and a book club meeting this week and every time was a different experience. There is a bookstore, magic shop, art studios, boutique shops and places to eat all around the square.

Located in the center of downtown Marietta, Marietta Square is a really fun and cute place that is centered with a pretty water fountain and a nice little park called "Glover Park." The vibes are great, and it's a great spot to bring kids or sit down and enjoy yourself!
There are a bunch of really cool shops directly next to the square. Some places I visited:
Rocket Fizz - super cool candy store with some exotic candy that I haven't tried before!
Tsunami - Latin American & Asian fusion cuisine, very yummy!
There was also some dragon store that I can't quite remember the name of, but the people working there were really kind and had a great sense of humor. Overall, very very cool place!

We visited on Saturday during Chalktoberfest. Do wish parking could be a little easier around the square, but it is to be expected during events. Really enjoyed the music and the art. Not sure why this year they didn't have as many food vendors out. But overall it was really nice day out.
The Six Flags White Water water park is spread across 40 acres and offers a wide range of attractions for young kids, including slides and a fantasy tree house. Although the park can get crowded at times with long wait times for rides, visitors can purchase a platinum fast pass to reduce their wait time. Some of the rides may be closed due to maintenance issues but those that are open provide ample entertainment.
We went to the World of illumination. It was absolutely fantastic. The lights were so beautiful and went so well to the music that they played. We did not wait too long when we were going through the line to enter and we literally went two days before they were ending the light show. We also got the four pack 3-D glasses Which some of the kids enjoyed but some of them didn’t like them they just wanted to watch them without the 3-D glasses. Definitely doing this again next year.

Went on opening day May 8.2021...and I was EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED....50 percent of the rides are closed...it looks like corona virus hit the park....food suck....had an overall better experience at sixflags. Same rides as when i was a teenager...smh...
Update got season passes this year 2022 thinking it would be better. As soon as you walk In park 4 rides closed and that's just walking in some been closed for seasons. Then I came to park today 5/8 and park was closing at 5pm when it clearly states it would closed at 7pm on site. Operational manager need to do a better overall job. This will be my last year coming here and purchasing a season pass. Disappointed!

We absolutely love this place!!! I recommend buying the flash pass!! The 1st day without flash pass we only ride 6 rides the next day with flash pass we ride a 100 times!! Just be careful because peons get abbey when you ride 4 times while they have been in line an hour but hey you got to pay to play 😁😉 we enjoyed the tornado the most and the python plunge!! I will warn you hours have changed they close at 6 during week which I want told when I bought flash pass at 3 so that upset me but this park is awesome with great employees not rude at all!! A few rides are closed and the lazy river because they don't have enough employees 🙄 😒 come on kiddos go to work!!

I took the kids today and they had a blast. Our 1st time. Plenty to do for young kids! We went on a Wednesday, it wasn't extremely packed but the lines were really long. We just decided to buy the platinum fast pass. So we were able to get on all the slides with a 5 or 10 minute wait. Fast pass definitely worth it for the few slides that were open. One of the slides conveyor belt did break while we were in line so we didn't get a chance to ride it. They did have a lot of slides closed but the slides we did get on were sooo fun. With the fast pass we were able to get on a second time. Overall we enjoyed ourselves. Hopefully next time we come they have all the slides open.

5 stars for value, I mean seriously where else can you have fun for $60/person for whole season.
4 stars for the number of attractions available during our visits, many of them are not available due to insufficient life guards they said.
3 stars for maintenance, pools aren't too clean. Leaves and debris. Some deferred maintenance can be seen like cracked pavement, dull and chipped paints and more. Far from say water parks in Florida which are well maintained.
We had a great time though.

It’s worth the price. Lots to do for all ages. Renting a cabana was 100% worth every penny!!! It was great to have a guaranteed place to come back to to relax, cool off, and know that our valuables were safe. We kept the 2 sides zipped and opened the front and back- with the ceiling fan on, it gave nice air flow and kept us cool. The cabana has a table and 4 chairs in the shade, plus 2 lounge chairs in the sun, but they can me moved where you need them while in the cabana.
The wave pool and kiddie area pool have a lot of chlorine (for obvious reasons) and it irritated my face- a quick rinse with plain water from the bathroom sink really helped. A little disappointed that only a few of the slides were open. (Maybe that was because it was so late in the season?) still had fun, though and stayed the entire time they were open! There is something for everyone of all ages. They have a splash pad type area for they very young, and a bigger splash area with a 2’ deep pool for toddlers/preschoolers/ and an area behind that that looked like it would attract elementary school aged kids, and some more exciting slides for older kids and adults. They had some solo slides, and family rides. We would go again!
Amy Herdliska — Google review
We had season passes. We didn't use them more than a few times. Probably half the rides and 2/3 of the restaurants were closed the last time we went, so I don't think we will go again.
Kirsten Thompson — Google review
I wish we could leave a little different review for each item. Half of the attractions were down and I'm sure it's a mixture of maintenance and staffing issues.
Slides going into the children's play pools were closed for maintenance by the looks of it. All the pumps running just to try and keep them clean. The lazy river was closed forcing everyone into the wave pool. Limited staff I'm sure to keep the expenses down and increase profit. The rides that were open were well staffed and went pretty smoothly, one slide that people enjoyed would allow people unable to swim to ride it.
Please if you go to a water park and plan to ride the rides at a bare minimum know how to swim.
Everyone has a good time. Park needs some work but I'm sure in this day in time this could not be built and turn a profit.
Chairs are used by people to stow belongings rather than sit in them. Family's of 10 would take 10 chairs for nothing more than drying their towels.
First time ever going and I'm sure we will be back in the hopes more rides are open and repaired.

Great park to visit and spend some time with the kids or a date... Definitely splurge for the fast pass if it's in your budget... With few rides wait times can be long...

We have been visiting World of Illumination lightshows from past few years and its always a fun place to visit with family and friends.
My daughter loves the music synced lights and their music selections.
I highly recommend buying tickets online in advance as this year, we saw them kicking people out since they didn't have tickets and all slots were sold out. Sometimes you'll find tickets in local Costco for a bit cheaper.
Also, I'd recommend you visit this early in Nov, Dec or after Christmas. avoid last few days before Christmas if you don't wann wait in lines for hours.

We had so much fun here!! They have a great selection of slides and attractions, you could easily spend the whole day there. The water was super clean and not too heavy on chemicals. Parking was great as well, and walking in and exiting the parking lot was a breeze.
The one thing that was disappointing is the lack of cleanliness. It looks like the lockers have literally never, ever been cleaned. I didn't feel comfortable touching them at all. You can also expect the food to be expensive. If that matters, definitely bring your own as well as a refillable water bottle.
Overall it's worth the trip and worth coming back!
Allimarie Wallace — Google review
Could give it 4 stars but few rides were closed and feel like area needs more cleanliness.
Went on Saturday and queue was 40-50 minutes for most of the good slides such as TORNADO, DIVE BOMBER, DRAGON TAIL.
You can get chips, pizza, beer, fries inside but no doubt price is on a higher side which is definitely a big drawback.
Overall the full area plus restrooms/changing rooms should be more clean :(. Request to management to take care on this.
Very different rides with easy, medium and difficult levels.
Some are very easy and some really beats your heart high such as DIVE BOMBER, DRAGON TAIL.
Got general ticket online on 50% discount with 34$ each on which tax and processing fee got added so total was more.
Also parking is extra $25.
We got one season pass too which was $50 plus processing fee and tax.
Lockers are there which is again on a higher price and it is $22 each locker.

Avoid this water park its a waste of money. Most of the rides are closed, especially the lazy river and all the rides that flow into it, it hasn't been open for over 3 years and their website says nothing about it. That's totally misleading! I understand they probably don't have enough life guards but they have like 6 employees working the parking lot just standing there. I would have all of them trained and make parking free until things were normal. Most parents that come to white water go for the relaxation of the lazy river.
The Millz — Google review
We went on a Sunday and the lines were not long early in the morning which saved us money instead of buying the fast pass. However the long lines started towards the late afternoon. Everything was super fun. The last river was closed which was a bummer. I didn’t like some of those rides required you to take your own water tube up the stairs. I would hope the upgrade all the rides to a mechanical conveyer belt to bring those tubes up to the top.

Park layout is terrible. Especially if you have little kids. We missed some attractions bc they were so spaced out. Bathrooms are not clean. The changing room isn't near the lockers!!! BEES BEES BEES Everywhere! 5 trashcans close to where people are sitting, and the BEES were all over the expensive food and drinks (with no lid or straw). Lazy River is surrounded by trees, so quite a bit of leaves and debris. I went on a weekday, so it wasn't too crowded, but I've heard it can get crazy. Couldn't go past 5 ft in wave pool! Very expensive if you pay at the gate
Preserved site of an 1864 Civil War battle, with a visitor's center featuring a film & artifacts.
I purposely went to the park late in the afternoon, so I expected parking to be a pain, which it was. I really love visiting national park units though (40+ and counting), so it wasn't the worst thing in the world. I was there to hike anyway, but I used my America the Beautiful pass to cover the parking fee.
From the overflow parking lot, I bee-lined to the Visitor Center to get a map and my stamp. After that, I immediately started the 1-mile hike up the main trail to the summit. The trail started to ascend almost immediately and it's very rocky, so pace yourself if you need to. There aren't a huge number of benches along the trail, but the trails are extremely well marked.
Overall, this park is honestly one of the best maintained units I've ever seen, but I have to assume it's because of the number of locals who visit. Seeing it in spring is probably the best part because of all the beautiful flowering trees.
Shameless plug: I visit all kinds of parks and share them on my IG @domsdillydallies if you're interested!

There is a short connecting trail that follows alongside a creek at the base of the Dead Angle field on Cheatham Hill where the Illinois Monument is located. Visitor center is really nice. Has a short film about the battle I found pretty touching. They have a first rate museum with a lot of items that are significant to the battle and Sherman’s campaign to capture Atlanta. There did not seem to be a lot in the way of interpretation on most of the trails other than a few plaques, but the visiting the “Dead Angle” and knowing what happened there is a really sobering experience.

They seem quite apologetic and even celebratory of confederate war nostalgia, under the guise of "history". This is evidenced by their various monuments and historical markers that attempt to subtley depict the losing pro-slavery racist condederates as heroes whose deeds are somehow worthy of respect or rememberance. Utter gaslighting nonsense. A better monument would be to the countless slaves that were forced to undergo neverending unpaid labor under horrible conditions for their entire lives, to the sole benefit of the ruthless, unenlightened brutal confederates.

This is not a Civil War museum, though it has some Civil War memorabilia, it is a train museum, and a place for kindergarten children age to go.
The museum is pro-Union, not so much for the Confederacy though located in Kennesaw, Georgia.
I recommend going someplace else unless you are into trains or have very very young children.

Enjoyed this place, went with my friend, her mom and her two sons. The kids are ages 9 and 6 and love trains. I happened to catch the time of the museum celebrating it's 50th Anniversary that Tuesday the admission was free. It was a few hours away from home as we visited from Columbia, SC. The children love trains and it would have still been worth the price as they enjoyed a lot of the interactive exhibits and the children's interactive stations. Then after a couple of hours at the museum we went across the street to the Frozen Cow and enjoyed some very good ice cream. I personally liked the Banana Foster's special on the menu.
It was well worth the trip as the museum was not busy and the gift shop had plenty of unique items for train enthusiasts of all ages to get things big or small. We definitely plan on returning to the museum and the Frozen Cow soon!

Very pleasant surprise. Quite a bit more to see here than we had anticipated.
Museum is laid out well with a tremendous amount of information to absorb. I love looking at all the detail of the iron work, and the equipment used. Couldn't stop thinking about how they could accomplish all that detail back then.
There's a short version of The Great Locomotive Chase movie that was very well made for a local production that was worth watching as well - about 20 minutes.
So much more insight as to how important the supply line from Atlanta to Chattanooga was in the war.
And the "General" - the train itself, was in there at the end.
Missed the senior discount cut by a few months, and I never worry about getting military discounts , it was only $10 anyway, and worth it.
We loved it! And the people working there were extremely helpful and friendly as well.

We visited Fort Mountain State Park recently and we had a wonderful time. Since we have visited all 56 Tennessee State Parks we thought we would visit Georgia State Parks. We are glad we went here. We enjoyed seeing the 4 story look out tower. It was a hike to it but not to hard. There is a lot of history here and several plaques are placed so we could read them. From the tower we hiked to the over look. Wow. This has amazing views here. We also drove around the park and we saw a nice lake and campground. There is another trail that goes to a waterfall which is nice. Overall great experience. Can't wait to go back.

We enjoyed an afternoon at Fort Mountain State Park by just taking a few short walks in the forest looking at the view and see wild flowers. There is a nice welcome center with clean restrooms. Plenty of camping spots for tents and they have cabin rentals. It is open year round.

Really nice State Park. The trails are well maintained but they are not for someone that has leg or hip issues. The trail at the lake is the only flat trail in the park and is a really nice easy walk. These pictures are from the start of the Gahuti trail and a shot of the trail itself. Picture doesn't do it justice on how quickly it descends down the mountain. This is supposedly a mountain bike trail. Good luck with that.

Lots of hiking trail options with markers, signs, and information boards along the way. Great lookout areas and spots to see amazing wild flowers. There is a stone wall and fire watchtower on the trail me and my babe choose to hike. They have several spots to have a nice picnic or even a quick snack and water break. There are camping sites and I believe possible cabins here as well. Being honest other then knowing they are there, I've got no other information about camping or cabins. I definitely recommend this place for hiking and views though.

We went on a quiet Friday afternoon and the trails were nicely sparse. Cool springs overlook is a paved less than 5 minute stroll to a beautiful overlook looking at the east side of the Chattahoochee national Forest. We hopped back in our vehicle and made a short quick drive up further and went up to the West overlook where the Stone Tower trail also is. The trails are yellow blazer and after you walk about 15 minutes you will come to a Y. Taking the left to the West overlook. It's beautiful. Altogether it's a easy/moderate 25 minutes to the West overlook, but I would not want to be on the trail when it's wet as it's somewhat rocky and rooty There's an impressive series of stairs and deck cantilevered over the lookout. Overall very nice trails.

What a nice place to bring the kids to swim and have some fun. Bring a lunch and some drinks. You can just chill out on the beach or do some boating very relaxing! They have bathrooms and a snack bar. They are remodeling a building there. I'm not sure what it was, but it's big. Enjoy

We had a good time exploring just a small part of this park. We hiked to an overlook, the tower, and the stone wall. Our trail wasn't too long, moderately challenging, and well marked. The park is pretty well maintained. There were other hikes near a lake it looks like as well as much longer hikes, bike, and horse trails. Wish we had time for more.

What a peaceful and beautiful place!! This whole campground is nice as a while but compared to other state campgrounds this one doesn't get much attention. The roads throughout are in need of some repairs!
Only one washer and dryer for the whole place, if you're staying lakeside you have to go to the other campground. The yellow papers hanging have been there for 3-4 days and still all the old campers are hanging there. There are electric panel covers hanging with 1 hinge and going to get rain in them. Not one sighting of any of the hosts.
The older couple that cleans the bathrooms do a fantastic job and the bathhouses are super clean.
The Putt Putt ( which needs some attention), paddle boat rental and concession at the lake is only open from Thursday -Sunday which is a bummer.
The staff in the front office are very polite and helpful.
One huge negative is the lack of wifi or cell service of any kind, which some campers may prefer.
The playground for the kids is very nice with plenty of swings and slides, the rock wall is a nice touch!
We will definitely come back.

I would like to start off by saying that we love Fort Mountain. We both grew up in the north Georgia mountains and every time we go home we generally will stay at one of the cabins. This time when we went the cabins had been renovated and they were awesome, however we did not get there until 4:30 PM and the office closes at 5:00 PM. We got checked in and went to the cabin, we stayed in cabin 3. The place looked great. However it soon turned into something else. We had booked the cabin for 3 nights, as we were bring our food and items into the cabin, I noticed these blue pellets on the floor in the kitchen in front of the fridge and the cabinets. Then when I looked in the trash I saw that it had not been emptied out and there was roach trap boxes in there, plus other trash. We determined that the pellets was rat poison. When we were getting ready for bed I turned on the water to brush my teeth and it was brown, not like a little iron brown either. This reminded me of the water in south Georgia in the Okefenoke Swamp! We used our bottled water to brush our teeth. The next morning we went to the visitor center to check out as we were not going to stay in a place that had rat poison scattered in the kitchen floor, roach traps and brown water. The last time we stayed in he cabins everything was fine. The park manager tried to tell us that the water had iron in it. We have iron in our water too, but not swamp water. We won't be staying there again.

Fort Mountain State Park is a beautiful park and may have been the nicest campsite we have had in a state park. The site was nicely laid out and very level. The comfort station was clean and the camp hosts were great. The staff at the Visitor Center were cordial and very helpful. The trails were great even when challenging for some of my more tired joints. We loved sitting by our fire and hiking the trails. I can't way enough about this amazing park.

Very beautiful, peaceful and family friendly environment. No good signal just several spots in the campground and overlook right outside the park. Big rig that is over 40’ will need more experience to locate as the roads between sites are narrow and up and down, we stayed at site #66 that is not very easy in but very easy out. Over all we very much enjoyed our 5 day staying here.

Good park. Stayed in campground. Sites nice and shaded. Level. Hiking good. Beach area is a little crowded on the weekend. Restroom in the campground clean.

Fort Mountain is our ‘go to’ camping spot. We have frequented the park many times over the last few years and have enjoyed all seasons of camping there. The bath houses are clean and well maintained, the campsites are mostly shaded and private. We love the lake loop and beach. The cabins are amazing for families with grandparents who don’t like to camp. We also love seeing the bears!

This park had amazing views. Loved the plaques of information. While Hiking up. Great time spent with my family. Being a slow time of year there was no ranger at the entrance. There were parking passes and a drop box to pay using the honor system. Both at the gate and restrooms.

Love this place and highly recommend for anyone visiting Ellijay, GA. Winding road up is winding in some places offering great photo ops, especially in the fall, peak being late October into November. Park with lake is very picturesque. Can rent paddle boats to go around lake. Can rent cabins or bring RV camper to camp grounds, children's playground, picnic area, and pet friendly.

This is one of the best mountains in Georgia, a nice relaxing hike around a mile in length at the top of the mountain.
With day use area, camping, and a lake at the bottom.
If you haven’t been put it near the top of your list 🪴

Beautiful scenic point, hike was not bad as well. Air get thinner on the top, hiking boats are must.
Definitely recommend.
S Farooq — Google review
It is a big park and the sites are so well placed that you dont feel crowded at all. Of course that is easy for me to say because it was sort of cole and wet so there were not many campers around. The hiking was good. We did 3 trails, one of which was the waterfall trail and another up to the tower.

I visited Dalton Distillery in 2018 and again in 2020 when I was in town to attend family weddings, and had the pleasure of meeting Raymond Butler. He gave our crew a tour of the distillery and samples of his amazing ‘shine and sunflower seed liquor. (His samples added a little soul to an otherwise dry wedding). Even though we only stayed an hour or two each time, I will never forget the conversations I had with Raymond and his friendship. Thank you for your service Raymond and rest in peace. God Bless.

Husband and I made the 45 minute drive down from Tennessee. We are big into distilleries and having completed the TN Whiskey Trail started looking for other nearby distilleries to try out. Found this one and decided to visit on a whim one Saturday and boy am I glad we did. Let us sample lots of different items, took time to explain their offerings. And honestly this was some of the best liquor I've tasted, especially coming from a "smaller batch" place. Walked away with a bottle of the TazaRay which I really liked and is truly a unique product. Definitely make sure to stop by if you are in the area!

This review is for day hiking only. We didn’t camp in the park. My husband and I visited Cloudland Canyon with our dog on Thursday, December 23, 2022. It wasn’t crowded at all. Parking is $5 per car. We did the West Rim Loop Trail (about 5 miles) in 2 hours and 45 minutes. It offered some nice views and wasn’t too difficult. We wish we had gone in the fall for even better views though. We also did the Overlook Trail (1 mile), which took about 20 minutes. Very good signage. They did a great job marking the trails. There was ample parking when we went. Bathrooms with running water and soap. Picnic tables and shelters. My only complaint is there weren’t any trash cans or doggy waste baskets anywhere on the trails, only in the parking lots.
Obviously it’s not the Grand Canyon, but it was still pretty cool! We recommend!

$5 entrance fee for gorgeous views and short, but rewarding trails. Trails are extremely moderate for an experienced hiker, but present diverse landscape. The trails were well marked, mostly clear from a lot of foot traffic and dirt. Look out for armadillos! We saw two while we were here. You’ll hear them rustling around. We enjoyed going all the way around the loop and then ending with a peek at both waterfalls which weren’t too full but couldn’t have fomo. Lots of stairs to the waterfalls as expected. Camping, RV spots, cabins+ available for an extended stay. The trails were lively with people and dogs enjoying the mild Tuesday afternoon. I do recommend! Views still available right off from the parking lot if you are not feeling a hike. Bonus is that the park also has a disc golf course.

There is too much to do in one day! We started in the morning with our two black labs to see what they could do with us easily. We had a nice walk to the main overlooks and on the trail. Once we saw the grated metal steps we decided to come back without the dogs and I’m so glad we did! We went to the three waterfalls. It’s SO many steps down and then coming back up again. It was beautiful and worth it!

It is a very good state park. It has a large area, including canyons, waterfalls and cliffs. It can be said that the ancient trees are towering and the trees are shaded. To see the waterfall from the parking lot, you have to meow down the rugged path, with mostly vertical cliffs on one side, with twists and turns on the way. Unfortunately, today is the dry water season, and the amount of water in the waterfall is not large. People go down to the bottom of the valley and stand on the dry stream. If it is the rainy season, I believe there will be another good scene here.

We what can I say other then hands down one of the best campgrounds and day parks I have been to in a wile. Plenty of things to do and see. I personally camped and have hiked here and will keep coming back. They have beautifully kept camping areas and multiple campgrounds hosts. The hiking trails are well kept and some are easy nice walks and others are fairly intense. They have an 18 hole disc golf course that is challenging and stunning. They do have yurts and cabins that can be rented as well. If you have a free day and love to be in nature this is an amazing place to spend it.

Super awesome place, tons of hikes and waterfalls. We camped here also and the facilities are well cared for and very clean. The hikes can be strenuous if you want or if you are at the top (uppermost) the views are amazing also. We hiked most of the trails near and around camp. Going down metal steps I would not take a dog down there lots of other nature things your fur baby can do. We loved our stay here. Will do it again for sure. Oh……. A rodent of some sort chewed my propane line going from the tank to camper and my son actually smelled it so we had to shut it off, not able to cook on gas stove but thankfully brought a two burner electric hot plate. So I guess I need to think about extra parts/spares next time.

This was a fun hike, for Georgia it is very unique, much of the loop is on the edge of steep cliffs and daring views but keeping with the trend the trails are very well tended and not difficult at all. It was a gorgeous clear day for us so no cloudy canyons but I will for sure be back when the chance of clouds is a little more likely. That being said for mid February it was much more scenic than I expected and can see the reason this is on most of the top lists for hikes in Georgia!

We went the end of October '22 & the fall colors at the park were spectacular! We walked the many steps down to Hemlock Falls then back up and around the canyon rim of the West Rim Loop Trail. Falls are best after a good rain but still flowing. Definitely plan a whole day trip hike here. Wear good grip shoes, bring plenty to drink/ snacks. Views of the canyon can be seen from parking area as well. Hiking trail maps are free at the entrance information/ gift shop building. They offer primitive, RV camping and we saw some cabin type rentals. They also offer caving tours nearby which we will check out one day. Will definitely visit again when spring arrives.

This was a great state park with lots of hiking trails and new facilities. We tent camped at the walk-in campground for 5 days/4 nights and had a pretty secluded spot (#21). It wasn't a short walk carrying all our stuff, about a 1/4 mile from the parking lot to our site, but it was manageable. The showers and bathrooms were about half way between our site and the parking lot. They were well maintained. Someone came and cleaned every morning. There are plenty of well marked hiking trails inside the park to keep you busy for at least a week and lots more nearby if you venture out. The RV pads were all new and they were putting in more. That's definitely the most popular and crowded area of the park. They also had some newer and older cabins that looked serviceable. We will be back.

We have hiked here several times and enjoyed the clean, well maintained, and clearly marked trails. Our son reserved the Trac Chair and it was an easy pickup and drop-off experience. Ranger Brad was very helpful and kind. We stayed in Yurt # 10 for 2 nights and really liked how easily accessible everything was. The comfort station family bathroom has a fold down shower bench which was great. His wheelchair did get stuck in the thick gravel around the fire pit and up to the yurt a few times but we managed. If your chair is very heavy it may present an issue. Overall, we loved our stay and plan to return.

This is a really great park for hiking and enjoying scenic vistas. It's especially beautiful when fall colors are at their peak. It's close to Chattanooga and a feasible day trip from Atlanta.
The west rim trail is a really good one. For the waterfall trail, it's strenuous due to all the stairs, but best to go after there's been some rainfall. Overall, I highly recommend visiting this park!

If I had more time or was camping/staying up there I would definitely have explored way more than I did. I went to both overlooks and had lunch there. Not sure what the park entry fee is, I used a GA state parks pass and this park is on the compatible list thankfully. The restrooms were questionable but none the less everything else was awesome. 😊😊Would recommend and will definitely go back when I’ve got some more time on my hands to really indulge in the trails and sights.
I definitely don’t think photos do the depth perception justice. The photos make it feel almost 2D but in person your eyes can see for miles and you can see every little detail and it’s just so beautiful. I can’t wait to go back.

This was my favorite hike ever. So many waterfalls, streams, trees, boulders, well made paths, & benches to rest. This is NOT a place to bring your furry friends. Although allowed on leash, it would be very uncomfortable on any dog's pads. Not ideal at all. The stairs are made of metal grates, stone, wood, and dirt. Very steep descent into the canyon. I counted 538 stairs, but the website says 600 stairs. Yes, that's one way. Breathtaking views at the lookout area. Plenty of parking. Restrooms available at lookout parking area and visitor's center. This hike is not for the faint of heart. Bring lots of water regardless to which season you visit. You will need it! No swimming allowed. Backcountry camping authorized. See ranger for details. Beautiful, must see area!
Eli Greene — Google review
It was my first time here and I absolutely loved it. The hike has a lot of stairs, 600 or so, the grounds are well kept. The signs are accurate as far as telling you which falls is where and how far to it. The falls are beautiful, but I hear can vary due to rainfall. There are areas to get in the water, you can even go to the fall. It's pet friendly.
I've hiked many canyons, never have I been as sore as this one made me. It was probably the stairs, it's brutal but 100% worth it!!!

The East Rim RV campsites were great! They seem recently updated with quick access to everything. The facilities were nice and clean, and there is even a washer/dryer room. The campsites are very close to the trails, as well. Was for the trails, canyon and waterfalls, they're magnificent and highly recommend! My kids had a blast coloring, making paper airplanes, looking at the plants and animals, and talking with the kind and knowledgeable gentlemen in the Interpretive Center, as well. There is a gas station and a Dollar General about 4 minutes outside the campsite, which was also extremely convenient! Great place, great time!

One of best impulse decisions I’ve made in the last year or two was to visit here (not once, but twice - second time with friends) and make the trek down to the waterfall.
The canyon views are incredible, and the waterfalls incredibly relaxing :) - definitely a tough climb back up though, so prepare accordingly if you decide to make the journey down.
Can’t wait to make the drive from TN again and show more people this trail!

Absolutely a breathtaking view, you will be in awe. Pictures don't do it justice!! So very blessed to live in the USA. Great concrete walkways and steps to magnificent views. We could hear waterfall but didn't make it down, as we needed to be more prepared for a steep hike downward. But plenty of paths to waterfalls.

We camped in the west rim campground. The campground was nicely appointed and clean. Very level sites. Rode our ebikes all over the park. Hiked parts of the east rim trail and lookouts. The trees were beautifully dressed in fall foliage. Very pleasant time spent there.

Great park with excellent overlook areas to take memorable photos of a hike or trail run. The hike down to the base of the waterfall is challenging with the significant flight of stairs. Be aware that you do climb back up the same stairs to get out of the canyon.

Awesome. We stayed Monday through Friday and had a great time, it was cold so we will be back in the spring to explore a little more. Facilities were very nice and clean, hot showers, toilets and even laundry. Lots of trails and spacious sites. We stayed in the west rim and one of the hosts Ron was very welcoming and we had a great conversation before leaving. Spot 46 was spacious with woods behind and to the right side so you had privacy. Site was level.

We have been to this park many times, and we love it here!
This past weekend, we hosted our wedding here in their group shelter.
It was so beautiful and perfect for our size.
All of the rangers were super helpful with the few requests we had.
We stayed in the cottages, and they were outstanding!
The himself are fantastic as well
The waterfall hike is totally worth it, but be ready for the stairs. These steps are the metal grate ones so dogs don't always do well.

Beautiful state park, they really did a great job on this area, well kept, easy to navigate, pet friendlyish (they're grated stairs to get down into the canyon may cause problems to animals paws, especially nails getting caught in the metal steps), also there is a quite intense hike down roughly 600 stairs to get down the waterfall but the path is clear and easily marked, lots of viewing spots and areas for rest. Definitely worth the trip!
L Carpenter — Google review
Amazing hiking! Make sure to visit the waterfall trails. Lots of waterfalls along the way. If you are taking Sitton's Gulch trail, there is 600 descending steps (stairway) to more falls, but remember... you will be trekking 600 steps back up. You can take the pups on the trails, but the stairs are grated. It is definitely not suitable for small pups.

I highly recommend Cloudland Canyon! We had a wonderful time with all the hiking and sites to visit. The cabin we stayed in was great! We will definitely return again maybe when it’s a little warmer to enjoy even more.

I really wanted to give this a 5 star review, but we did have a bad experience with our site. I reserved as far in advance as possible, choosing a beautiful private spot tucked into the gorgeous tall trees. When we arrived, we found out that they had cut down a HUGE portion of the trees in the campground and moved our site# to the tip of what is now referred to as 'the frying pan', due to the complete lack of trees on the entire section of the campground. It was a big blow because I'd had this place on my bucket list for a long time and was SO excited to enjoy the beauty and tranquility. Instead, we were front and center on the tip of the road curve with no trees, no privacy and it just felt ugly. :(
That aside, the area is gorgeous and when we were out hiking it was amazing, we hiked several of the trails to include the crazy 600 stairs (it was worth it) and the beautiful west rim trail.
We would go again.

Great place to check out, see the waterfalls, and enjoy the cool breeze along the walking paths! Plenty of parking near the West Rim Loop Trail. While the slopes are steep, there are also plenty of stairs to help with this and they're usually not slick at all, but bring good quality shoes just to be sure.

Loved this place! My wife and I were in town for a softball tournament with our daughter. We had about 4 hours in between games which was a perfect amount of time to grab lunch at Big Rock Grill, see the rock city gardens, lookout mountain and the shops. Although we ate at the Big Rock Grill just inside the gate I would recommend holding out to eat at the Cafe 7 located right by the overlook (about halfway through the Rock City gardens tour). The view there is way better while your eating! This is a tour that anyone can like, all ages. All of the trails are paved and definitely easy to navigate, unless your in a wheel chair. There were quite a few tight squeezes that may be scary for those with claustrophobia but otherwise fun and enjoyable. If your in town do what the signs say.....SEE ROCK CITY!

It's great place to get some fresh air and see some scenic views. The history here is something worth learning. My best friend, her daughter (who was getting married in four days), and I decided to take a day trip to Lookout Mountain. First, the drive itself is beautiful- especially during the season when the leaves are all changing colors. It’s almost unreal because it looks so picturesque.
We dined at a Cafe in town then did the Lookout Mountain tour (along with some souvenir shopping!)😊
This is one of the best places to visit for a fun day trip with family, friends, or just to get away! The sights are stunning, the other features offered along time tour are extremely interesting, and the history is amazing. I’m a huge history buff so I thoroughly enjoyed reading about the ‘See Rock City’ campaign- when over 700 barns were painted red then adorned with the ‘See Rock City’ logo.
And of course I brought home the iconic birdhouse as my souvenir. Love it!
The walk itself is very mild- anyone, regardless of fitness level- can complete the walk and enjoy every step!!! Multiple viewing areas (with chairs and benches) are available as well as other resting points along the way.
If you haven’t been to Lookout Mountain, or is been a while since your last visit, definitely plan a day trip! It’s well worth it- I’m already looking forward to visiting again with my son and husband!

My group and I came in the early morning Sunday and already this place was packed (not in a bad way). Paul was our guide and we honestly LOVED him so much! He cracked jokes left and right with no hesitation and kept the energy flowing. He was so thorough with explanations and gave us compliments that boosted our energy. During the lower grade water flow, he would have conversations with us and made us feel like we were not strangers or tourists.
There were plenty of parking spaces that were 15 - 30 feet away that gets you straight to the front of the center so don’t worry if you have to park in the “additional parking” zone, everything is conveniently close. There were detailed signs to navigate you towards different areas of the center, which was a small cozy size so you won’t be lost anyways with lots of tree shade! All employees were so kind and nice with lots of energy to help you sponge up for the rafting session. Time was smoothly ran from the moment you check in, tutorial, bus ride, rafting, and journey back. The rapids that we experienced were ranged from 1-4.
Our group had a BLAST!!! And we can’t wait to book our next tour! You guys have to try out this place, most definitely worth our time.

Fast Freddie and the staff at Ocoee Adventure Center were great!!
I had some reservations about class III and IV rapids, being our first time, but Fred was an excellent guide and completely put my concerns to rest.
Thoroughly enjoyed rafting down Middle River!
It will be something my family and I definitely do again! ☀️☀️👍👍
Thanks for the memories!! 🚣♀️🚣♀️

We had a great time and would highly recommend this outfitter. Our guide, Drew (aka Snapple), was very informative about the river & etc., interactive with our group, had us spinning when we could (which was so much fun), and most importantly, made sure we were safe the entire time. The only thing I would do differently is do the whole day, rather than the half!

This was our first time rafting. I in particular have a pretty strong fear of drowning and I have to say given the weather conditions (torrential downpour, thunder, and wind) , if it weren’t for our guide, I am sure I would have been one to want to pull off to the side and get out. Our guide, Paul S., was amazing! He was light hearted and kept things fun, yet when it was time to be serious, he gave clear instructions and made me especially feel very safe. 10/10 Recommend this establishment. They also have showers on site if you’d like to clean up right away. We went on a Monday which worked out great.

My favorite outfitter I’ve ever toured with! This river is incredible, certainly one of the best on the east coast. It’s intense and beautiful the whole way, plenty of excitement with sections of nonstop class III-IV rapids. Our guide Michael was very professional, easy going, good natured and a very talented paddler and leader. We felt safe and had a blast all day. I’ve done a half day in the lower section and a full day doing both sections. I recommend the full day of you have time, it was worth every minute.

A+++ Awesome experience. Equipment is clean & in great shape. Employees were really nice. Also this place cleans life jackets after every trip and I have never seen another place do that. We had the best Guide. Her positive attitude and knowledge of the river made our experience memorable. Don't forget to bring extra cash to tip.

Went rafting yesterday and had a great time. Our guide Cameron made the trip above and beyond what we expected. It started in the training basin before the trip where Cameron made all aboard feel at ease. As we headed out Cameron not only described each rapid ahead, but also its name and name origin. Cameron had an incredible knowledge of not only the river and history of the surrounding areas but had great stories of places he traveled for rafting and exploring. Cameron seems to truly love his job and the crew he works with and it shows with his passion for the sport, the history, and sharing that with others. The entire crew from check in to photographers along the river bank to the guides in charge of gear return were all great. Phenomenal operation from beginning to end.

My husband and I with 4 of our friends had the best time today rafting! Kevin was our guide and he was seriously the best! We had a blast on the water! Our friends locked their keys in the trunk, all of our dry stuff was in the vehicle and the whole staff went above and beyond to help us out and get the right team there to help out! We were given towels, offered dry clothes etc. I can’t say enough good things about this company, especially Kevin and his precious wife! Thank you guys so much for a great time!

We had an absolute blast with our river rafting trip today at River Ocoee. Wild water guys are absolutely amazing! Their entire crew right from who checks you in, feeds you delicious lunch to the guide who takes you rafting - all of them are very friendly and have great attitude. They all made our trip very memorable.
I would like to give a special shout out to our guide Alexander who did an amazing job helping us maximize the fun and kept us all safe in this adventurous daring sport. He had a great sense of humor and was extremely experienced in rafting. We felt very safe in his hands.

Visited this wonderful place on 7/2 and we did the middle Ocoee river with guide Mark at 1 pm. For me this trip was very much reliving my childhood as I did it when I was 15, am 48 now. But we did it for my partners 38th birthday with my mom and his brother and the experience was just as amazing as when I was a kid. The river has changed (table saw doesn’t spray up anymore, but that’s nature not human cause) I recommend this place 10/10 would do it again and definitely use them for my trip!!!

Great experience! My g/f and I went back to back weekends because it was end of the season and after doing the middle we knew we had to do the all day trip. The guides are very knowledgeable and were pretty funny. The equipment is clean, the bus ride was entertaining and experience was amazing. We are 100% bringing our friend crews up for a run.

We were a group of 4 going whitewater rafting for the first time. Honestly I picked the Wildwater Rafting company pretty much randomly. I am glad we ended up there. They are a family owned company with decades in the biz. That gave the experience a nice, non-corporate feel which we liked. From the beginning to the end it was great. Everyone was friendly and fun while being professional at the same time. We did the middle Ocoee section since this was our first time. Your trip begins with an extensive orientation. As we quickly learned, this type of fun is not without some inherent risks but the guides do a very good job explaining what to do to stay safe on the water. As a recently retired firefighter it was easy to recognize that the Wildwater crews were well trained and took the safety of their guests seriously. The experience on the water was AWESOME! We laughed and laughed and laughed as we rode the rapids. It was so much fun! Our guide was Mark S. and he was excellent! Mark also gave our orientation which was really good as well. We will return soon! Highly recommend Wildwater Rafting.

We had the best time white water rafting. This is the place to go. Our guide, Acacia was the best, she was very informative and kept us out of the rocks as not to get stuck on rocks. She headed us into every rapid with the most excitement. We rafted the course of the 1996 Olympics. This day on the river was great really, we enjoyed the trip. We took the trip for the upper and middle Ocoee river, it is worth the trip to Tennessee from North Carolina. You have a short trip on an old school bus kinda like at a camping before and after rafting, which is a little small for bigger or taller people. We was catered a lunch with other rafters sandwiches with ham/turkey, chips, fruit, water/tea/ lemonade. Then, back to rafting again. The cost was a little over $100 a person. We are going back in three weeks with other family. Great trip!!

First rafting experience and it won’t be the last! We did both parts of the river-great full day activity. I was smiling, laughing, and screaming the whole time. Our guide Acacia was INCREDIBLE- I felt so safe with her and was grateful for her communication and leadership. Lunch was perfect (wish they would have had sunscreen to reapply with since ours had washed off). So thankful for the ability to shower afterwards! Lance, the owner, even stopped us on our way out to thank us for coming.
We all felt like the Wildwater guides seemed much more in control that other companies we saw on the water. Couldn’t recommend more!

I would recommend this crew to anyone that wants to go rafting. They are all about making sure you are safe and have a good time. We had a guy fall out of the raft and the whole team was there to pull him out of the water so he could continue having fun. I absolutely loved it and I can't wait to go back. My only complaint is the lunch after the trip was not good.

We had an awesome experience with Raft 1 ziplining. We were able to call the day off, on a Friday, and get in on the 2 hour zip. Price was reasonable. Gift shop was nice. Noah and Cal were top-notch guides. It takes a specific personality to help people enjoy these types of things, while still putting safety first.
There is a photo package offered at the end which was a reasonable cost and a nice touch.

Ziplining - our family of five (kids age 10, 12, 13) did the course. It was just us, so was like a private group with 2 really good guides (Spencer and Jamie). Course is really good, lots of long zips. You do have to slow yourself down on several by placing a gloved hand on the line, we didn’t really like this aspect and had never had to do that on other courses. But overall really good and we’d do it again.
Middle Raft trip - just my son and I did. It was AWESOME! Our guide Jace was the best. It was our first time doing this level of rapids and son was scared to fall out, we asked for a safe ride and Jace delivered. Plus they did extra special things that other outfitters didn’t, like slide rock where we got out and could jump on and slide down our overturned raft and a hole jump thing, all of the other rafts just cruised by watching us have more fun. Would highly recommend, felt safe the entire ride and we really enjoyed it. Definitely request Jace.

Jace was outstanding as our guide on our first ever rafting trip. He went out of his way to assure we had the most amazing time and it did not go unnoticed. My 13 yr old daughter practically seems soulless on a regular but she was smiling from ear to ear the entire time. He made sure we remained safe but thoroughly enjoyed the ride at the same time. He was the best guide we could've asked for!

We cannot say enough about how spectacular this rafting company is. I have been coming here every summer with my husband James for the past 6 years, and he’s been rafting with them for the past 15 years. They never disappoint and we always have the time of our lives. We have brought various guests with us, from children to petrified adults to other adventure seekers like ourselves, and everyone always has a great time. All the guides are amazing and you can tell the company takes their time to ensure they offer the best trained guides. We have had Dirt as our trusty guide several times. I strongly recommend asking for him as your guide- you will have an amazing time! Dirt knows every inch of the Ocoee River, is highly skilled, and super friendly. He knows how to show his guests a great time. On one of the slower days, he even took us out to a neat little waterfall just off the side of the river. It was such a lovely surprise and great addition to our trip. Safety is a top concern as well. The owners, two brothers, Brent and Dusty, always greet us with a smile and remember us from years past (they are both very experienced guides as well!) Book your excursions with this outfit, you will be happy you did!

State park with Native American exhibits & cultural activities, plus picnic areas & an amphitheater.
Full of history and a beautiful little spot. Nice, gentle walks available and the Blue Hole spring is really something to see,,,amazing color. The cabins and structures built for display help you imagine the Cherokee experience of the 1820's-1830's. They have excellent picnic facilities in a day use area (pavilion, tables, grills) and a second picnic area that is just a clearing in a lower area if you have your own chairs and tables. There is a visitor center with lots of information and some displays. Worth a visit.

What a beautiful, moving, and in some respects, sad place. The experience of the Cherokee is so difficult, but knowing their story and the trail of tears is moving. We deeply appreciated that this was a park we could visit and read about their experience. We were especially moved by the blue spring area and the story behind it.

We had another great day spent at the Park with Ranger Taylor. She taught our small homeschool group about water. We learned how to test the water to see if it is safe for the wildlife that rely on it to live. Then she led us through the creek to overturn rocks to view the water animals. Ranger Taylor is an amazing teacher. She is so knowledgeable. We love the staff at Red Clay. They are the reason we keep returning.

The Red Clay State Historical park is great for walking
Obviously, I'm a runner 🏃♂️ and I managed to do 3.50 miles, but it was slow pacing. You have to watch your steps. That goes for walking as well.
The park is loaded with benches and tables. There many paths as well.
Surprisingly, there is a mowed out path around the park and it's not overgrown. The path is tough, meaning you can run without worrying about an ankle injury. Again, just go slow.
Additionally, the terrain can be climbed as long as you find that Pathway. It's near the blue hole area at which point you can go off into the woods. I didn't encounter any large creatures out there, thankfully.
If you are coming to have a picnic, there many areas for you to do so, they are even labeled for you.
I enjoyed the area, running was fun and the drive from Cleveland was very peaceful and scenic. Got a glimpse of an old Volkswagen bus 🚌 passing me. Beautiful as it matched the blue sky this very day.
Awesome experience 👏
Side note, the restrooms are the best I've seen in a park this far

A Scenic Getaway at Red Clay Historic Park
I recently met up with friends at Red Clay Historic Park in Tennessee, and it was such a delightful experience! This charming park combines the rich history of the Cherokee Nation with the stunning beauty of its natural surroundings. We enjoyed exploring the well-preserved landmarks and walking trails amidst the vibrant red clay and lush greenery. The serene atmosphere made for a perfect day outdoors, reconnecting with nature and friends. I highly recommend Red Clay Historic Park for a memorable and picturesque getaway.

Red Clay State Historic Park is located near Cleveland, TN. along the border of Georgia and was the site of the last Cherokee Council meeting before the egregious — flagrant, Trail of Tears. Interesting place to visit, lots of history around this sacred/historic site and worth a visit if you’re in the area. Beautiful park! ❤️

Note:
The Trail of Tears was an ethnic cleansing and forced displacement of approximately 60,000 people of the "Five Civilized Tribes" between 1830 and 1850 by the United States government.
Rock City Gardens is a beautiful garden with stunning views located on Lookout Mountain. The gardens are home to over 400 different plant species which provide stunning views of the surrounding area. The gardens are also filled with amazing rock formations and panoramic views of 7 states.
Beautiful walk on a very creative trail between boulders, over bridges, above bluffs and waterfalls, crisscrossing in imaginative ways. The overlook view of the valley below is breathtaking. Right to left you can see almost 180 degrees. You really can see 7 states. The walk is worth the time and visit. It is a great family adventure, with the walk ending in Fairyland Caverns. The park is not without gift shops and restaurants. Great food. Great gifts. Handicap access is limited to a small percentage of the park area, but access is available to the overlook. The park Vista is different each season of the year. I took hundreds of photos but Google only allows 50. Be sure to carry your camera.

One thing that’s good to know about this place is that if you take your time exploring this place, any amount of crowd will pass you by and you will have a moment or two to yourself to take it all in. And the mother goose/fairy gardens is worth seeing even as an adult, it’s fun to take a trip down memory lane to your childhood. More importantly, you escape the heat because it’s air conditioned!! I would definitely recommend this to anyone who likes a good view, likes a little adventure and is able to maneuver stairs, ramps and bridges and maybe a surprise or two.

So this is our first visit from Bristol Tn/Va and this place is Gorgeous! The views were amazing and the Gardens are awesome with a cool backstory of the founders and amazing art and engineering to create such a magical place!
They also have a cafe with alcohol beer&wine you can take with your around the park you can even buy an a tire bottle of wine but you have to finish before you leave the park!
They also have wine tastings that are free!
Free parking it wasn’t bad neither was the crowds in as we went last week of July and the first week of august!
Prices for a family of 6 was like $151 and some change but well worth the experience I highly recommend to stop and check this place out!

Drove 5 hours to go camping and see this place! If you are thinking about it, DO IT! It’s worth it and pictures don’t do it justice.
They have adorable little gift shops, the food isn’t anything crazy but the little cafe on the edge of a cliff with that view makes sitting down for a bite mid-way worth it.
You’ll spend atleast 3 hours here walking and enjoying it. Everytime I thought it was about to end it got better. If you have low stamina there are exit pathways throughout but if you can make it through its worth it. It’s nothing too demanding, but there are some tight spots here and there that may not be so friendly for my thicker ladies.
I recommend coming during a weekday if possible, If it was any more busy it would have made it hard to get nice pictures and just take my time and enjoy it all.
They’re also dog friendly! This is a perfect little couple date but it’s a place you will want to revisit again with family.

This is a really neat place. Very peaceful to walk around. It has soft, whimsical music playing as you walk through the area. The view of the city is amazing. You could spend an easy two hours here. The place is pretty big. Be prepared for walking. It would not be easy in all areas for anyone with a wheelchair. It does have quite a bit of stairs but they are easy stairs. We never got out of breath the entire time walking there. It's definitely worth the admission price. They have food, drinks and gift shops located throughout.

Such a fun experience! The views are gorgeous from the top! We ate at the cafe located on top and had the most beautiful views for lunch. We went at the best time, during the week in the middle of the day, so it was extremely peaceful because hardly anyone was around. If you’re in the area, this is a must. Perfect for everyone. Couples, families, and even dogs since it’s pet friendly here.

We took our two dogs here for a day trip and loved it! The staff were super friendly and greeted us and our dogs when we got there. We didn't know what to expect and were surprised at how much we enjoyed it. It's not a long walk, but there is plenty to look at. I love the creative ways they formed the rocks. The fairy cavern was also very interesting (and a little creepy)! The dogs seemed to enjoy it, too,and that made the trip worth it. I recommend going early in the morning (we did 0830). It was nice to get there before the crowd and be able to take pictures without a lot of people in the background.

Super fun! Reminded me of being in the movie Labyrinth with David Bowie! It was better than i had hoped, and seemed like a magical place. My families favorite was the rock gardens! The gift shops didnt have anything that really felt as cool the place if that makes sense. Overall, it was well worth the cost and we will definitely come back!

This is our second of many future visits to this incredible place of joy, inspiration, and true beauty! We were vacationing with our family and had the pleasure of bringing our 3 year old grandson along for the trip.
He loved every part of this trip. Every step was filled with adventure, excitement and joy. He didn’t want to leave. He especially enjoyed the Aesops Fable land as well as all of the great sites.
The staff is friendly. The facility and paths are clean and well maintained. And the price is very affordable.
We definitely are coming back again.

Rock City Gardens was a disappointingly expensive tourist trap. While the rock formations, the falls, and the views are beautiful (when it isn’t foggy and humid), everything else is a sore. There’s constant music playing to sound “whimsical” but instead interrupt any enjoyment of the nature. The “fairy tale cave” is musty and full of dusty sculptures into the rocks depicting old fairy tales that gave me trouble breathing because of the mustiness. Weird art litters the rest of the experience. It took us 45 minutes to get through a “tour” that is supposed to take 1 1/2 to 2 hours. We got there at opening at 8:30 on a Saturday and it already had a number of people there; by 9:30 when we left it was already packed. The coolest parts were the rope bridge, the falls, and the concrete overlook as well as the entryway into the goblin caverns. The rock formations are truly beautiful, and it’s no wonder the original owners went with this fairy tale theme as you make your way through the mystical and twisted rocks; but the theme did not enhance but detracted from the beauty. Overall, there isn’t much to write home about here. Much more money can be spent inside in gift shops and cafes and wine tastings, but the $30+ entry price does not validate spending any more money there. Maybe if it was $5 with all of the additional bells and whistles you can add, it would be worth a walk through and a stop; but not $30+.

Such a fun, quirky place! Not difficult to walk at all. Unbelievable views from the top! Just a couple narrow passages between rock formations. Most people can squeeze through without touching by turning sideways. Maybe 24-30 inches wide? Caves had pretty lights and fun little fairy tale scenes lit up. Fun for kids and adults! Really glad we went! Buy tickets in advance! We bought them the day before and they were sold out the next day.

We took 3 grandchildren-14,10,8. We ended up here because Ruby Falls had sold out the days worth of tickets at 12:30. Picked up a pamphlet on Rock City and decided to go. It was absolutely amazing- the views are breathtaking, the walk through mother goose display and gnomes were very well done. The kids and adults all loved the experience- we spent 2 hours there. Would highly recommend A+ experience.

This experience was so great! I had a great a few wonderful times! There are many different things to do and buy at rock city gardens. It's such a great trail all paved and not too rocky, just right.

While visiting Southeast Tennessee, I had heard of three attractions that were nearby: Ruby Falls, Rock City Gardens, and the Incline Railway. I had purchased tickets in advance for the Incline Railway and while up there, I asked a staff member their thoughts on Rock City, her comment was “it’s the best of all three and it has a lot to do in it”.
We were not disappointed, you walk following a trail, so it is quite organized, as well as having to be there at a certain time and buying a ticket for that certain time due to its nature of following a pathway.
Very good sites being able to see a nice landscape and view of seven different states, enormous boulders, a lot of natural decoration, and it ends with the best kind of a tiny park of kids’ stories of our youth, which are created in a dark area with black lights, so it enhances its beauty.
There’s an area also of gnomes.
Take good walking shoes, very interesting and I highly recommend it.
It did not disappoint!

This' place is so amazing. The trail is easy to follow, the views are amazing. Lots of Rick bridges, you walk under and over and through things. It's so fun. The waterfall is beautiful. There's plenty of bathrooms and a place to eat or grab a new water 1/2 way through. We stopped and took our time we spent about 3 hours here. We had a great time. Two adults. But this is a family friendly adventure.

Amazing experience amidst a peaceful and magical landscape all leading to some fabulous views from the top of Lookout Mountain. Parking is free and plentiful and the entry process was easy. There is actually a Starbucks across the street. So many neat little treasures and spaces to find along the walk with easy paths and bridges and great sights around every corner. Kids will love this, especially Fairyland at the end. There is a great cafe and some relaxing seating and benches throughout. Would definitely visit again.

Prepare to come to this place and take your time. There is so much to see! There are many many steps. We brought our two dogs and they did great. If your puppy or company doesn’t do well with stairs, heights and tight spaces you might not get to experience all the fascinating stuff this place has to offer. We went first this in the morning at the end of June. It was perfect temperature and less crowded. There are drink vending machines and cafes if you don’t bring your own refreshments. I’ll definitely be back!

Best place to visit if you're in Chattanooga, the view it's worth it. I would say it's not stroller friendly if you plan to take your little one, we got a baby carrier and it was helpful. Some areas are a tight squeeze so be careful with kids. Overall my family and I loved this place and would love to come back and visit.

We had a great time. Tickets have to be purchased online in advance. I would recommend booking a time after 6 PM so it is dark. We went on a weekday and got the discount for weekday visits. We spent about 3 hours there.
There is an enclosed area to sit, drink hot chocolate, and warm up a little bit if it is cold. We had dinner before going, but they do have food service available.
If you enjoy Christmas lights and family fun, then I recommend you put a visit to Rock City's Enchanted Garden of Lights on you to do list.

Living in the Chattanooga area, the majority of my life, Rock City, isn't a new experience for me. I have been there several times. However, fall is definitely my favorite time to visit. All of the fall colors never disappoint! Even the drive up the mountain is absolutely beautiful this time of year.
The park is always in immaculate condition. It is well taken care of. The employees have always been cordial and professional even though the majority of them are high school/college age young adults.
The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star review is because the cost to actually get into the park is, in my opinion, way too expensive. It is $26 for an adult and around $16 for children. Although I understand that it takes money to keep the park looking as beautiful as it always does and also pay the employees, I think that they probably could come up with a way to cut the price of the tickets so more people can enjoy it. There were several employees there who were not really doing anything. Maybe not have so many employees working to cut payroll and, in return, cut the admission price. There can't be that much overhead for a park.
I just find it unfortunate that there are families who can't afford to take a trip where they can enjoy the day together, learn about nature and have the opportunity to teach young children to appreciate and respect nature and the animals that call it home.

I don't remember how I came across Rock City, but it was added on my want to do list on Google maps. We are traveling back from spring break. Rock City just happened to be the halfway point. We thought it'd be a great idea to stop here stretch our legs and check things out. Rock City did not disappoint. The walkways were very well maintained. The one way path was pretty easy to follow. The views very great. A lot of work went into the fairy caverns. I enjoyed the sculptures and decorations along the path. My only "complaint" is that tickets we're a little more than I would have liked to pay. Overall, I'm happy we made the stop.

Excellent Panoramic views of TN, NC and GA (and others)! The Rock gardens were amazing and well laid out....my wife and I had a wonderful time following all the trails, viewing the beautiful gardens and waterfalls, enjoying the amazing sculptures and exhibits (Fairytale Hall was amazing!) and loved the views from the swinging bridge, lookout point, lover's leap, the falls, and others! We could have spent the entire day exploring and enjoying the scenery and well designed exhibits. The food and drink options were great as well! We will be back with our grandson for sure!

I wasn't sure this place would be worth the cost of the ticket, but my family and I ended up having a great time doing Rock City. I didn't realize there was such an elaborate historical setup (Fairyland and Mother Goose...world or something).
One of the funniest things I saw (you can see in my pictures) was a statue giving us the bird. No really, it's reaching out with a bird in its hand...color me immature, but I found it hilarious.
My sense of humor aside, the view was beautiful and there's a cafe on top where you can order adult beverages or non-alcoholic...plus a cafe with food...so you can eat and drink while enjoying a fabulous view.
The rocky structures in the beginning were beautiful, but really, there's so much more to this place. It has a lot of interesting details, quirky music and sights. Kind of reminded me of my childhood again when I got to Fairyland and saw scenes of classic children's stories.
Oh, one of my favorite things to see was the walls full of quartz. That was beautiful!
I'd like to go back again sometime when I have the chance and spend a little more time lingering. It was a rainy cold day when we went so we tried to hustle through the outdoor portions quickly.
My dad sped up particularly quick when making his way through "The Squeeze", a narrow path through the boulders. As long as you can tolerate a narrow space for a short distance you'll be fine.
My dad has claustrophobia and a fear of heights and still survived/had a good time...and that was in spite of my brother and I trying to toss him off the 7 states viewing platform. Not to worry, we'll get him next time.
I'd recommend checking this place out. In a way, it kind of summarizes the essence of the Chattanooga area. Great views, rocks, cute water features, a waterfall, history, quirky art, good times. I don't think you'd regret it unless you can't appreciate art, geology, scenic views, spending money on tickets...that kind of thing
Have a wonderful time! 👋

The garden is beautiful! It was nothing like we expected. You walk through the site upon laid paths. It gets tight is some areas! Food is cheaper at Lovers Leap. It can get congested and crowded. All in all it was beautiful and fun for the kids. Would also recommend repurchasing tickets. We were able to just walk in without a wait.

Beautiful grounds and a lot of fun walking through the stone features. Would have been a five but the Fairyland Caverns are in strong need of some love. I have to admit though, outside of that this is a great place for photographers.

Love this place and they are totally dog friendly. We visited here in February of 2023 and again last night.
There’s a limited event called Flora Luna and it was really fun. You have to purchase tickets online before you attend. The park opened at 7:00pm and they offered small bites, wine, beer, and cocktails at stations throughout the park.
When the sun went down the park was illuminated with several lights and they piped in zen like music. Definitely a chill relaxing evening as we sipped wine on the overlook and waited for the sun to go down.
Well done everyone Rock City!!!

Such a beautiful experience! A great place for adults and children. So much detail was put into fairyland caverns! Definitely take an opportunity to visit here one day. Amazing views and the swing a long bridge is also a great bonus! We really enjoyed ourselves and it consumed most of our day. Lots of walking and there are restaurants around, but we didn’t eat. They have smoking areas and it is pet friendly. The restrooms were ok and there are shops around that you can buy all the things. We certainly plan to come back!

As a young boy I would see signs along the freeway with just 3 simple words. 'See Rock City'. Nothing more and nothing less. That was pure mystique to me, and I have wanted to SEE it almost my whole natural life. Well, today I finally got to See Rock City, and even though the skies were gray and overcast, it was still absolutely wonderful. It was everything 10 year old me could have ever hoped to be, and was still awe inspiring to the adult me. If you live in the region, then I STRONGLY recommend going to See Rock City if you haven't already. You won't be disappointed, I promise you. We are already looking forward to going back this Summer.

A definite must see when in the area and worth making a trip JUST to see Rock City! Beautiful views, amazing boulders, and cool art. Don’t miss the Hall of the Mountain King sculpture. Several people walked right past it. So many flowers blooming and the water features were lovely as well.

Had a wonderful time at Rock City! It is definitely a must-see! We didn't know what to expect but we all had a wonderful time. The views, gardens, art, history, and displays are all incredible and one-of-a-kind making for a super cool experience! My parents, husband, 13 yo daughter and I all enjoyed Rock City immensely and will be going back next year. Make the stop - you won't be disappointed!
The Lookout Mountain Incline Railway is a century-old vertical gauge railway that transports visitors to historic sites and offers stunning views. Situated in St. Elmo, a charming neighborhood at the base of prestigious Lookout Mountain, this attraction appeals to both history enthusiasts and nature lovers. The area exudes old-world charm with its beautifully adorned Victorian houses, which have also attracted a trendy crowd of young professionals and families seeking proximity to emerging local businesses.
My family and I loved the experience! The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. That incline is crazy steep but the view at the top is breathtaking! Nice gift shop with great keep sakes. The speed of the train/trolley is not that fast so if you are concerned about motion, don't worry cause it's not a roller coaster. You might feel your ears pop from the altitude and the incline and the tip will make you hold onto something but other than that, it was a great visit. I would ride again!

We were trying to order online later in the day but didn't have availability. We decided to drive there anyway & but tickets. *NOTE: she said online buying cuts off 2 hours prior to last ride. We missed the train by a few minutes so waited for the next one, but they run every 30 minutes. It's an interesting & pretty, steep ride up the mountain. At the top is an observation deck for a panoramic view. It started snow flurries while we there & was bitter windy so we didn't stay out too long. There's old pictures to look at & the machine room. I was ecstatic to see the vintage advertisement sign for the incline is still hanging on a pole on the way down. You can only buy your tickets at the bottom, the top isn't open for tickets. Parking is $2 for all day.

Really neat ride! But extremely hot ride in the summer! (They have heat in the winter but no AC in the summer! The views at the top are amazing! Breathtaking! Definitely worth it! It was a fun experience riding up on the incline. You are sitting at an angle. Be careful of stepping up and down once you get inside. You can also drive up to the top. There is an observation deck on top and the view is amazing! There is also a gift shop and snack bar up there. Plan to spend about an hour up and take in the view. The cost is $15 for adults, and $7 for children under 12. It runs every 20 minutes. Parking in the lower lot is $5 for long term.

We went there on a cloudy day and so going up, the view was full of clouds. But going down, we got a view and learned that the incline we were riding was built in 2020. Really cool experience when it is on its steepest. There is a small centennial exhibit located below the gift shop that shows how it looked through the years as well as more nostalgic and older pictures showing how it looked like before near the rest room. There is a gift shop that sells souvenirs and delicious fudge! Also it is a few minutes walk to Point Park and more gift shops about the Military National Park a few minutes from there.

Excellent local attraction. The views are incredible. Reasonable pricing. Cute gift shop. Very clean and well-maintained. There isn’t any air circulation in the rail cars, so I don’t recommend going on a hot day. There were deer and other wildlife right by the tracks. Parking is $2.45 for the whole day.

Make sure you reserve your spot ahead of time. There is no guarantee you will ride if you just pop up. We did wait longer than expected as we did get tickets for a certain time and didn't get going until about 15, 20 minutes later. However, this was an adventure, yet not too much that it was overwhelming. Going up the mountain was not too bad until you got to the steep part. That's when you may want to hold on a bit. A little nerve-wracking, how ever going down was a little more intense. You can really see how steep you are because you are now facing forward. It's a must do once in your lifetime you won't regret it because the view at the top is like nothing else. Beautiful!!!

The ticketing process of online purchase PLUS check-in when we got there was crazy. Not to mention the time stamp didn't mean anything.
The ride itself was good. Have to pay money to get into the National Park Service area at the top. Also have to pay for parking.
I would pick Rock City over this attraction.

Taken on its own, the Incline is probably not worth the $15 per adult fee, but it can be made worth it if you combine a short walk at the top to Point Park. The rail ride up the mountain is about ten minutes and pretty cool, even if much of the scenery is just rundown parts of the city of St. Elmo. At the top is a gift shop and some interesting exhibits. Point Park is three blocks up East Brow Rd, and well worth a visit. Be prepared to stand in line: most recently we visited in early April and had a 30-minute wait one way, and about half that the other. At the height of tourist season, those times could easily double.

After helping my daughter's get over their fear of the height, we had a very enjoyable time. The incline railway was a very fun experience. Lots of things to see. The view from the overlook at the top was absolutely breath taking. We also enjoyed walking to points park.

This place is absolutely beautiful! The line for tickets was fast and easy. The line for the rail car was ridiculous. If you have a large group plan for extra time for the rail car. You may have to wait for the next car if your far back in line. The ride up is scary and intimidating. You almost need a seat belt. The tree line got in the way but in winter I'm sure it's gorgeous! The view was amazing, best I'd seen in a long long time. Price was good, wait sucked but wasn't a reason to skip it. I recommend this for anyone that wants a great view of the city and mountains! The ride down was just as intense, but the line was better. The gift shop was great, but expensive.

Lookout Mountain Incline is an amazing train ride, we didn’t expect it to go up on top of the mountain which was surprisingly amazing. It is a well worth experience every penny pays off. Its goes straight up 72.7 degree. Up station have a gift shop, and eat in spot. You will have a great time.

Wow! This incline railway was so great! It was a little scary at first going up we didn’t know the incline was that high but the views were amazing. It transports every 20 mins. Suggest to get there earlier in the day since we arrived at 4:00 pm and the park and other attractions up the hill closes at 5:00 pm we were short on time
Definitely worth the ride ! Highly recommend it .

This was great! We went up a mile up a fairly steep hil. This was pretty cool because you're going up a fairly steep hill pretty slow and it's a pretty climb. When you get to the top, you can see for miles and the views are beautiful. I def recommend doing this if you're in Chattanooga.

We went during at 3:00 on a Thursday, so there was not much of a wait. I am not sure how busy it gets on the weekend. The trip lasts eight minutes and the cars pass in the middle, so there wasn't much wait to go up or down for us. The staff was friendly and helpful. There are two decks to view from up top and the view was very nice. I enjoyed being able to sit up there and enjoy the view and breeze. The have gift shops and ice cream at the upper and lower stations.

We went in the summer, and the incline was a bit warm, but still fun. Once you get to the top, it's a bit of a hike to go anywhere. Most of the stores and attractions are at the bottom, so maybe next time we start at the top and ride it down and back up again. It's best to have a car for transportation around the mountain top. There is a battlefield park that was pretty empty, just a short hike from there. Great views, but not a whole lot to keep kids occupied, and it costs like 20 bucks to get in. It's should be no more than 5 dollars, honestly.

Definitely recommend advance booking unless you can get here early and buy tickets. Very nice experience of traveling up and down the incline railways. It is claimed you can see 7 states from the top but that's an individual's judgement to decide if they can see it. The experience of going up is more adrenaline rush than while coming down.
One recommendation - get the seats to the front or back, the viewing experience is best.

One the way home to Alabama from a weekend in Knoxville, my husband asked if I'd ever been in the Incline. I thought maybe, 50 years ago. So we detoured off or trip home and rode it. So much fun, the view was amazing. Will definitely want to possibly do again in Spring when trees are in bloom. Amazing how far you could see from Lookout Mountain. Loved it! Highly recommend!

The train ride was pretty cool, and the view at the top was great! However, I felt like the top stop could be so much better. There is some super basic food options and a gift shop, but nothing special. You’d be better off eating before/after. There is a little history spot at the lower level up top, but that’s the only thing of value I found, aside from the view. Over all, I do recommend this experience, but the train ride is definitely the highlight. Be sure to buy tickets in advance! (P.S. this is a SOLO travel friendly activity)
The Overdue Bucket List — Google review
The Incline Railway was an OK attraction, it’s basically a funicular, which is kind of a train wagon, rolled by/on a tension cable for hills; the neat part of this is that the wagon itself has to be built with the same degree of incline of the mountain, so you will be level as it is going up or downhill.
There is a gift shop at the top with a lot of souvenirs and goods as well as a couple of places to have some snacks and fresh fast food.
There are two observatories, on two different stories, where you can see a nice view of the city and towns nearby.
Downside of this, you’re better off just going to Rock City and have a similar or even better view, and you can save the price of the ride on this transportation, which it is only what it does, it transports you up and down a hill.
I bought tickets online in advance, not sure if there was any benefit to it as there was no line when I arrived to their booth. Downside of buying online is that you have to be on time, you have a scheduled departure, so if you are late, they may disallow you to board, specially on high season or holidays.
I did not check if there was a difference in price on buying at the premises versus buying online (worth taking a look, I paid $15 online per adult).

This short ride up the side of a mountain in basically a trolley car was super cool, and my grandkids loved it. You can only take it round trip from the bottom up, you cannot just ride it down from the top. At the very top, it is almost at a vertical incline, which you can feel by the way you slide forward in your seat. The little gift shop at the top has souvenirs, a little snack area to grab something to eat, and the best homemade fudge I've had in a long time and the overlook is quite pretty, there is an elevator to take you up to the overlooks. Once you get to the top you can stay as long as you want and walk down to Pointe Park, The Chickamauga and Chattanooga Military Park, just make sure you make note of when the last trolley leaves.
Ruby Falls is a 145-foot underground waterfall inside a limestone cavern in Lookout Mountain. It's one of the most stunning sights you'll ever see, and it's definitely worth the cost of admission. The elevator ride down is amazing, and the waterfall itself is enhanced with lighting and stirring music to make it that much more thrilling.
I came with my boyfriend and we enjoyed our experience! The tourist was very informative, the walk was not moderate, the views were stunning, and we left overall satisfied with the trip!

Dougie D was our guide and it was well worth the entry cost just for him. He made the guided walk super fun, knew lots, and handled crowds and kids awesomely.
If you’ve been to any caverns, it’s not much different except the waterfall here is a treat. It’s accompanied by a light show. The overlook is nice as well and there is a zip line option if you’d like. They also have a night guided option during certain months.
Wear nonslip closed foot gear. It gets slippery and wet down in the cave. Also purchase tickets in advance they sell out fast. We went on Saturday at noon and it was sold out for the day, we had to purchase for next day tickets and return. Enjoy!

Really cool experience, 1200 feet underground which you take the elevator to. The cave tunnels have cool formations with names on the signs near them (however, our guide didn't really say much about any of them), and the tunnels are lit with neon colored lights. Note: the pathway is pretty slippery, the ceiling is only about 5'11 ish high, and the light show at the waterfall only lasts 10 min.
Laurel Dogger — Google review
Ruby Falls was such a fun experience. Buying tickets in advance is recommended, as well as arriving 10-15minutes early.
Individual ticket prices (plus tax):
Adults $25.95
Kids (3-12) $15.95
We visited on a Wednesday morning in June at 11am and had a full tour for our time slot. Parking is free but seems to be slightly limited. There were only a handful of spots left by the time we arrived that morning.
The elevator takes you down approximately 260 feet (26 stories) below the surface. The path in the cave takes you deeper into Lookout Mountain, the farther you walk. By the time you reach the waterfall, you'll be 1120ft below the mountain's surface. It is also the tallest and deepest underground cave waterfall that's in the US and open to the public. Leo Lambert discovered it in 1928, after crawling for 6 hours/650ft and then walking/climbing an for an additional 11 hours, knowing that there was something hidden away. He then named it after his wife.
It was an incredible and fun experience. I'd highly recommend visiting. If I'm recalling correctly, it took somewhere between 60-90 minutes for the whole tour, light show at the waterfall, and elevator rides.

Such a cool cave walk, took our group about 90 minutes total. An elevator takes you straight down into the cave where you begin. The experience starts with a group photo that can later be purchased and a short video of who and how the cave and falls were discovered. The falls is on a timer, so when we entered it was dark and then the lights came on and it was sooo beautiful! Highly recommend!!

This was an awesome experience, the underground elevator, the caverns and the underground fall was worthy. Buy the tickets in advance, online is faster, there is no wait time. Tickets 25.95.

Bought 8 am Tix, hoping to avoid crowd, and still had 20 or so on tour ( but it was Spring break?). Had a great tour guide, Emma ♥️. We have a slow poke, who required cane assist to walk, and they gave us time we needed. Mile walk to falls, hand rails available in parts, some slick but grooves in path, some steps, but mostly level (for a cave). Stories of discovery, formations and falls come with tour. Recommend to all who can manage a walk, great experience for young and older. Tickets online available. Cafe on site. Visitor center/gift shop. Observation tower. Kid friendly. Kennels on site. Zip lines closed when we visited, 🙄.

Never seen a waterfall inside a cave before. This place is super awesome. There is like 15-20min tour inside the cave with the guide explain the history of it. The waterfall is a must visit if you are around Tennessee. Please buy the ticket online if you want to save your waiting time.
Gayan N. Wimalarathna — Google review
Walk up to counter to pay for the tour. You get access to the viewing tower and a guided tour of the cave and falls.
You enter the cave via an elevator ride a couple hundred feet down, then there's is an approximately 1/4 mile walk to the falls through the cave.
The cave itself is beautiful and the falls are gorgeous.
Parking out front is easy and accessible for all.
Discounts for military/veterans.

We stopped by here for a little stop to stretch our legs so we didn't end up going in the caves but we did go up to the tower to get a look at the view. It was a beautiful place to stop even if you don't do all the activities provided.

I purchased our tickets online per their website recommendations and left about 1 hr in between attractions.
WARNING!! That was way too much time! BUT they were very accommodating and were able to move up our reservations.
Perhaps it has to do with the time of day or the day of the week. We had to push all our activities up by 2.5 hrs. With that said keep in
mind that Ruby falls and the Zip line are on the same property.
Our guide really made the cave walk a fun experience. Joe, was very personable, knowledgeable and had tons of insights about the falls and the area in general.
We started at 12:30, with a group of 13 & that was the smallest group we encountered. We completed the tour at 2 pm (1.5 hr) total. We proceeded up the tower but not much to say as you can see it was a very muggy day.

I visited Ruby Falls in Chattanooga, Tennessee and found the tour and cave experience to be nice, but I can only give it three stars. The tour felt quite rushed, with limited time to stop and take photos of the stunning formations. Additionally, the cave was quite crowded, and there were instances where one tour group had to pass another, making it challenging to navigate. Seeing the cave and the waterfall was cool, but the overall experience left me unsure if I would do it again.

Great place overall but when I went here there was a baby crying so we didn’t really hear a lot of what the tour guide was saying but the our guide was awesome loved him but we went here last here on July 3rd, 2023. Recommend buying tickets in advance of course!!

It was very beautiful with lots of interesting rock formations. We really enjoyed our visit. It is a little bit of a long walk and might seem longer because you’re welcome slow and some areas have low hanging rock. I think it might’ve been longer this time because the elevator was broken and we had to walk extra. Definitely worth a visit.
Kristen Burch — Google review
OK. The waterfall is magical and worth the visit. HOWEVER the group sizes are too big over 30 people per group. We were constantly stopping to let other groups pass. It was annoying and too many people in the groups to fully enjoy the experience. We preferred raccoon caverns. Just an honest review from our experience.
Jillian Struble — Google review
Ruby falls a nice experience. It was different and kind of cool to see the cave and the falls. In my opinion a little expensive to pay 25 dollars to go under grown to see a small fall with a lot of people for one hour and walk one mile round trip.

Spectacular! Fabulous place for a fun date or a day out with the kids. Wear good walking shoes and bring a light jacket because it gets a little chilly down there.

Lovely place to take a family trip to and enjoy something new. Drove up during the weekends and had a great time exploring the caves. The staff are competent and humorous and the overall location is easy to reach. Just be careful on the drive up the mountain, lots of sharp turns and speeding cars.

Ruby Falls was an underground adventure like no other! As I descended deep into Lookout Mountain, I couldn't help but marvel at the wonders hidden beneath the earth's surface.
The highlight was, of course, the stunning 145-foot waterfall, Ruby Falls, named after the discoverer's wife, Ruby. It's a geological marvel, with its underground formation dating back millions of years.
Did you know? Ruby Falls was accidentally discovered in 1928 during the excavation of a cave. It's now one of the tallest and deepest commercial underground waterfalls in the United States.
The guided tour was both educational and thrilling, offering insights into the cave's history and the fascinating rock formations. Stalactites and stalagmites adorned the cave like natural sculptures.
Pro tip: Wear comfortable shoes for the tour and be prepared for some moderate walking. It's a surreal journey into the heart of the earth and a testament to the wonders of nature. A must-visit for explorers and history buffs alike! 🌍🕳️🏞️

Ruby Falls was a really cool experience and I would definitely recommend it! The total tour is approximately 1 hour (underground). The walk is a little more than a mile round trip and is easygoing. It’s mostly flat, with some minimal stairs. I saw several limited mobility persons on the tour, although it was a longer walk and you could tell they were tired by the end. Minor limited mobility would be alright. Those who have difficulty with walking long distances should avoid the tour because it is walking for an hour with no stops to sit and rest.
The falls themselves are beautiful. Depending on how dry or wet it has been (rainfall) will determine the strength of the waterfall.
Some tour guides are really funny and point out great things. Try to be at the front of the tour or you’ll not hear everything and miss what is being said.
I’ve done several cave tours and this was definitely worth doing. It’s a cool experience for kids too because it doesn’t take very long and there’s a lot to look at.
Jennifer Hunziker — Google review
Second visit to Ruby falls after 17years. I have better cameras now so took better pictures :). The experience has been pretty consistent so I would say nothing much has changed and it is good. There are zip lining activities which I am not up for. So adventurous ones can try
Chitrak Gupta — Google review
They are open until 8pm. I have been here multiple times. It’s good for a one time visit and if you have not seen any other under ground caves. The staff and the tour guides are knowledgeable. I still wonder the source of water. I have never seen the water flow increase or decrease its always the same during my multiple visits. The stalactites and stalagmites are many. Worth a visit one time. Beauty of this place is it’s 260 feet below. Only thing disappointing is they really do not give enough time to spend and click pics at the main fall. It is close to a mile walk so can get a little for elders and people who cannot talk much.
Sydney Dmonte — Google review
It was an interesting underground Falls, and the cave was interesting, but the tour guide literally runs you through, the only place you get to actually stop and take photos is at the Falls, but there are plenty of other interesting items in the cave that you miss. Groups can be upwards of 38 people and they do many group tours a day.
LaDonna Henslee — Google review
We had heard about these falls and wanted to see it for ourselves and it's very impressive! It's fun to see different rock formations and the cute little names they have for each. We had a tour group of about 20 people, it can get kind of narrow, but I never felt claustrophobic. Seeing the falls at the end, it's actually very soothing to listen to. I do wish we had some more time to take pictures at that spot.

Decided to stop on the way to FL. Well worth the side trip. Really enjoyed our guide and the beauty of the caves.

2024-Feb. We arrived here on a Saturday afternoon. We previously bought tickets and reserved our tour time.
There was a small parking lot in front of the entrance and more parking spaces on the side of it.
We went through the souvenir shop. A restroom is located at the back. There is no restroom in the caves so better visit the restroom before you go. Also at the back of the souvenir shop is the electronic sign that shows the tour time that needs to fall in line. You have to go through the corridors under the e-sign because the actual entrance is at the end of the corridor, beside the restaurant.
When your tour time is next, the staff will allow you to fall in line where our tour guide meets us. After an elevator ride, the tour begins.
The cave is well-lit with different colored LED lights. The atmosphere is quite nice- not cold or warm. You are not allowed to touch any of the formations.
There was also a flat-screen TV where you had to watch the history of the discovery of the cave.
I believe it took us 30 minutes or so to get to the falls. We had to make a few stops to make room for the people who were heading back to the elevator.
The cave ground surface has been cemented- flat in some areas and with staircases in other areas.
The falls is spectacular. With the lighting installed, the visibility is great! The water under the falls is about 5-ft (according to our guide). She didn't mention how big that area was when it was discovered.
After the falls, you get to see your green-screen photos. I believe it was $35+, with digital prints.
We visited the castle after the caves. There is an elevator that will take you from the 1st floor to halfway up the tower. We only took a few minutes on top of the tower. There's nothing to do up there aside from seeing downtown Chattanooga.
It was a good experience if you can stop by.
Happy caving 😊 and give this review a thumbs up if it helped you in any way.

Cherokee Rafting - Ocoee River Whitewater
Raft trip outfitter
Tours
Tour company offering guided white-water-rafting trips down the Ocoee River for guests ages 12 & up.
We had a fantastic time this past weekend with Dawson on the half day Oconee river rafting trip! It was most of our group’s first time whitewater rafting, and Dawson made sure that we were safe but also had an amazing time! Everyone at Cherokee Rafting was very friendly, and we’ll definitely be back.

Despite the delay of traffic observing the Ocoee River, the adrenalin of the Family was with mixed feelings for this year's family adventure. However it was FABULOUS!!!! Ages 21-82. Our wonderful guides were Aaron & Katie. Both of them are extremely talented and knowledgeable about the River and surrounding area.
In addition the entire staff of Cherokee Rafting are amazing. The facilities were clean and the showers are Warm. What we thought would be the Last annual family Rafting adventure now has all of us considering the possibility of having Aaron & Katie taking the family on the Full Ocoee River Adventure. The Oldest that stated "Last Rafting Adventure " beforehand is now changing his decision on The Last adventure. Words can not express how much attention to details the staff takes to insure your family safety and of course MEMORIES of your amazing adventure on the Ocoee River. Cherokee Rafting and staff again THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE AND ADVENTURE.

Had a great time on the full river trip with guide Kat. There didn't seem to be much difference in reviews between rafting companies so chose this outfitter partially because of the 8:00am start time. We were done, clothes changed and leaving by 2:00pm, making it possible to get back to Memphis after finishing the trip. Be prepared to spend another $15-20/person for tip and about $55/boat ($10-$15/person) for photos. Photos are taken from the right river bank, so put the photogenic members of your crew on the right side of the boat and then have fun!

I took a crew of 6 friends for a full day rafting event. We had a wonderful time, and had enough time left in our day to get home for out of town at a reasonable hour. Guide Hendley was absolutely amazing. Owner Laura and her husband upgraded our experience and made it a very special day.
Never rafted before and he was an excellent teacher. Patient but still put us through some 4 ranking spots. Can’t say enough- if you’ve never done it - go. If you have - go again.

We once again loved our trip to the Ocoee River. The experience is amazing because of Cherokee Rafting and their dedication to folks having fun while prioritizing safety. The trip: the day consisted of a training video, bus ride to launch, rafting and a bus ride back to Cherokee rafting.
The experience: Our guides made this experience a family memory we’ll never forget.
-Katie: Hands down the most knowledgeable guide I’ve ever met. Safety was her first priority. She knew every single inch of the river like the back of her hand. She provided fun facts during the trip as well as a plethora of local knowledge. Thank you Mrs. Katie!
-Laura: The gorgeous gal with the guns…Laura rode in our boat and helped my special needs son stay on task. She helped him stay on cadence with his paddling, ensured he was properly situated in the raft and demonstrated more patience and kindness than we could have hoped possible. Thank you Mrs. Laura!
-Fawn: total badass. Fawn was the guide for the boat in front of us and I watched her work her tail off keeping her crew off the rocks and safely down the river. You’re an all star Mrs. Fawn!
Thank you Cherokee Rafting for helping make a lasting family memory.

What an awesome and exciting experience! From the minute you pull in you just feel a very cool vibe come over you. The campsites are spaced out enough to have you a little privacy but still close enough where you can get to know your neighbors. The rafting was phenomenal, in my group we had some very experienced rafters and some that it was their first time on a raft.Trey was our guide and he did a great job making sure we knew the smart way to do things and made sure everyone was comfortable with any extra excitement that the water had in store for us. Everyone had a enjoyable and super fun trip, with everyone saying that we would be back to do bigger and more intense rapids next time. 10 outta 10 I recommend this to anyone in the area. We came from South East Georgia, practically Florida, and we will definitely be back with more friends! Oh and make sure ypu check out The Bus for awesome food, drinks and live music!!

We booked online and upon our arrival I wish we had booked a camping spot as well. It’s a great location, spread out and quiet despite being close to the road.
There’s a bar and grill on the property, sand volleyball court, and the bathrooms are equipped with restrooms and separate showers.
Our guide was Connor, he was a good guide and made the experience fun and memorable. The only complaint I have if any is that we had a boat with some teenagers who were more focused on talking and screaming at every splash of water. I’m used to the guide placing the more experienced paddlers up front and back.
All in all it was a good trip and would recommend them.

By far the best experience over all. My wife and I took our 14 year old white eater rafting for their first times. Our guide was Pink. He is a whole mood. Taught our daughter how to guide the raft. Such a great spirit. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. The energy was amazing and the water was beautiful. Great people, great vibes, 10/10. We WILL be back because this staff is TOP NOTCH. Not to mention the bus driver..He drove so amazing I felt MORE comfortable driving the mountains in my own vehicle after riding with him. It was awesome. Just do it. You will not regret it. BIG thanks to all of you. ❤️

I visited for an Ocoee rafting trip and camping. I must have lucked out and gotten the best guide, because Sarah was amazing! The lines she took us down were perfect, and when we wanted to surf features, she knew how to get us onto the wave and spin around into front, side, and back surfs. She was a lot of fun, and kept us all safe too. I highly recommend her.
I tent camped after the rafting trip. I was a little concerned before I got there about the idea of an on site restaurant/bar, but it wasn't an issue. The property is large enough that even with a live band playing, it wasn't loud near the campsites. Plus, it's nice to have food options without having to drive anywhere. I hear from fellow campers that the grilled cheese was a wonderful snack before hitting the water.

I rented a campsite and pitched my tent. Great location. Plenty of spots for a tent and trees to hang your Eno. Jules the manager is awesome - I forgot my pillow and she loaned me an extra they had. Good food and drinks at the Bus so you don’t have to drive anywhere if you don’t want. The bath house was simple but very clean and is all you need. Now they do have live music some Saturday nights I think, but they stopped at midnight when I was there. I enjoyed it but if you want a little more quiet late night on a Saturday then maybe not the spot for you. But wasn’t loud at the campsite area as band is on the other side of the building. A great place overall and more than I expected, and I’d recommend it to anyone needing a spot to camp. Plus hit em up and let them take you rafting down the Ocoee while staying with them and save driving to other outfitters!
This This for outdoor adventure rafting staff: Daniel Christopher, not Daniel tardy, is the greatest guide yall have! It was amazing! He was born to do that job! Great skills. Rafted on 7-10-23 with my family. We have done rafting before in Colorado and have always enjoyed it, but this was the best time ever. The river is great because of constant action, and our guide Jon was phenomenal. We took the more adventurous line on a number of the rapids and then would go back and surf some of them. He was constant energy. We got to the last two rapids and he asked if we wanted to take the road less traveled, noting that you could get tossed from the raft. We chose that and all five of us went for a swim. It was awesome. Highly recommend. If you can get Jon, you will have the best time.

Highly recommend for rustic camping, whitewater rafting, and tubing trips.
It’s a quiet place to camp which I love. Sits right on the lower Ocoee and has great tubing trips for people with young children or who want a relaxing day. They also offer Middle and Full river trips if whitewater rafting is your style. They have trips running every day the river is on for tubing and whitewater rafting.
They have a large campground great for camping off grid, tents, or car camping. Lots of hot showers, and ample restroom facilities. Nice store for tshirts, memorabilia, and snacks.
If you prefer a cabin, they have plenty of those, and specialize in large groups.
Family friendly environment. Outfitter was taken under new ownership a little over a year ago (female owned 💕) by a prior employee. The improvements to the facilities and equipment in a year are commendable and I highly encourage visiting this outfitter.
If you go rafting request Dirty Mike 🥰

Highly recommend this outfitter! I'm sure that all of the guides are great, but our guide Brett is amazing! He really knows his stuff! Highly recommend asking for Brett when you go ... you'll be doing some fun tricks in the rapids that you may not necessarily get to do with other guides. You'll get to practice "surfing" on the downstream of some rapids, "bull ride", spins, etc. Brett is very personable and hilarious..... he really works hard to see that his guests have fun. Brett and this outfitter are very safe ... thorough safety briefings and instructions, and safe equipment in excellent condition.

I camped at OAR for 7 nights over a two week period. Their accommodations are fantastic. A quick walk to the bathroom & showers make camping a joy. They have several cabins, but I was camping. I was impressed with their Guide's knowledge and rafting skills. As a first time White water rafter, I was at ease with their captains at the helm. I did more than one trip. OAR has access to a great location just below the dam, for tubing. On my relaxing day, I tubed down with a group. I saw several groups, churches, schools and familys tubeing while I was there, everyone having a blast. I also used my paddleboard to launch at that same spot to go down river. It was fun , not too rough, and beautiful. This will always be my first stop as I leave Florida for fun

It was incredible!!! The experience was safe and fun and very beautiful. Our guide - Jon Hall - was amazing. Super nice funny and he did lots of cool tricks. I definitely recommend requesting him if you can. I will definitely be coming back.

This was my first time rafting and it was fantastic! We had Tyler as our guide and he was phenomenal! Funny, entertaining, knew what he was doing, and overall a great guide! We did the all day and I totally recommend it! Lunch was great, everyone was super nice and helpful! Definitely recommend and hopefully will be back in the future!

My nine-year-old daughter, and I had scheduled to float down the river in a tube, however, the weather didn’t cooperate. Even though the temperature dropped and it was raining, Tyler made our experience very enjoyable. We were able to float down the river in a raft instead of a tube, and they provided dry vests to help keep us warm and dry. Tyler was super positive the entire time and even helped keep my daughter entertained with her videography skills. Tyler has a lot of knowledge and experience on the river and I would highly recommend him for as a guide for any whitewater rafting or float down the river.

Memorable day on the Ocoee River with OAR. We had a great time and got to experience some giant rapids. Our guide knew the river well and kept us safe, while also picking the right lines in the water to catch some intense rapids. My favorite rafting trip so far.

We had a wonderful time tubing! I'm horrible names, but I believe one of the kids said our guide's name was Sarah. Anyhow, she was awesome! She had a great sense of humor and they all did a great job of making sure we avoided obstacles along the river. This was only our second time tubing, and we had a few children(ages 10-15) with our group this time, but we were able to relax more knowing that the guides were there to keep everyone safe.

My wife and I went on the 5 mile trip with my brother and sister and spouses. We had an absolute blast...we will be back! The guides were all fun and informative. We had Sam as our guide, he was great. We all felt safe with him guiding us. Next time we're probably going to do the 10 mile paddle, thank you OAR and staff for a great day on the river!

We had a fantastic tubing adventure with Sarah yesterday. She was knowledgeable, friendly, and patient as she helped our little group down the calm river journey. My senior citizen mother had hurt her wrist earlier and couldn’t paddle well, and Sarah was great with bumping her to keep her on track. From ages 10 to 68, all three generations loved this tubing excursion!

My friend raved about the experience, and I had high expectations going in. The front desk treated me like a lifelong friend, and I felt super excited about the rest of the day. We loaded on the bus and the guides squeezed in for the 30 minute ride. Instead of relaxing, they entertained, engaged, and made us feel important. To me, this was going the extra mile that sets them apart because small details matter. The river was raging, gnarly was the word we heard often, and our guide, CAVEMAN, beemed with experience and a desire to make sure we were having a blast. He didn't disappoint! There wasn't a moment I didn't enjoy and that included being thrown out on "Slice and Dice." I left feeling I have friends for life and a new returning trip for my family.

We had an absolute blast. It was my husband's first time going, and now he can't wait to go back. The High Country team was great. Our team leader Hannah was absolutely great. She did a wonderful job, and made sure everyone on the raft was enjoying themselves and tried to Kerri everyone comfortable.
(The river was freezing, but it was still an amazing trip!)

My experience was amazing. This was my 1st time ever rafting. The staff was friendly and informative. They show us our safety guideline prior to our ride up to the rafts. Our guide James was very great. He was knowledgeable about was needed to keep us in the boat. Also you get great photos of our experience.

This is the best white water rafting tour around!! We have now gone a few times and every time has been an incredible adventure story lol. Shelley is the best guide ever hands down! But all of the guides there are amazing an experienced. You feel excited and safe and having fun all at the same time. They start out by giving you an intro class and teach you how to do the paddles etc. Then you board the bus and ride down to the entrance at the river. The lunch they serve is pretty good too and they even offer a veggie option. There is also a really fun part before lunch where you swim and float down the river. The water gets colder as the season ends, we went the second time on last day of the season. But what an incredible ride. The first time we conquered the Godzilla rapid was unreal and the second time too. If you stay on the raft or if you flip you will be well prepared and it will be an adventure of a lifetime. We cannot wait to go back next year! They also take pictures the entire time so you have the option to buy one or all of them at the end. Team Kenny!

Candace was a great guide with lots of experience on the river. She took us through the rapids making my boat of novices feel like pros. High Country was great to deal with on the phone (called them instead of booking through Groupon) for my party of 9.

Me and my group thoroughly enjoyed our time. We went after 3pm which seems is the best time of day for the rapids. Our guide was Dean and he was spectacular. He's a lead guide and knows all the great rapids and key spots in the river. He also know many tricks with the raft that made the experience that much better. He also had great conversation and kept the first timers calm yet brought them out their shells. I highly recommend and ask for Dean!

This was my first time whitewater rafting, and I can 100% say that I loved it!
The staff there were super welcoming and friendly, and they all had a light-hearted, upbeat attitude, and definitely made the whole experience that much better!
After a scenic drive to the dam where the rafting starts, we met our guide and learned our commands, and this began our trip down the river.
I won't spoil the trip, because I definitely think you should do it yourself, but just know that it is definitely worth it.
Also, quick shout out to some of our guides, TC Lee, Jack, and Hannah!

I have not had so much fun in forever! This weekend was my first experience in white water rafting and we did the full run - Upper and middle. We had ‘Gale Force’ as our guide and things couldn’t have been more perfect. We also stayed in the cabins - if you’ve not done this you definitely should. Lots of room, clean, very convenient, and the views are amazing. Best part? No TV. 🤪. Thank you for an absolutely amazing adventure. I could not think of a better way to spend my birthday!

This was the best whitewater rafting trip I have ever experienced. Our guide was Nick (Harp) and he was an expert with us. He gave flawless directions & delivered 100% when we asked for max adventure! When we flipped in a rapids, Nick successfully managed to rally everyone back into the boat before maneuvering us out. I am used to having boring & uneventful trips down the river but WOW if I could have detailed everything I wanted to happen on a trip, it would be this one. Thank you so much Harp ! You’ve redeemed whitewater for me - & We absolutely loved you!

We took a family of five and had a fantastic experience on the middle part of the river. Sydney was our guide and we could not have asked for a better person to take us down the River. This is our 4th time with High Country. The place is top-notch. The guides are always excellent. White-water fun at its fullest. We did the middle Ocoee class IV. Our two daughters ages 12 and 14 went down this river for the first time, Mr. Pink made sure to keep us safe and kept the fun rolling. We will be back agian! Our daughters haven't stopped talking about how much fun they had. They are ready for some Class Five with Pink!
The Tennessee Aquarium is a waterfront complex that showcases a wide variety of sea and river animals, birds, and butterflies. With interactive shows and cruises, visitors can explore two buildings: River Journey and Ocean Journey. River Journey features exhibits about the diverse fish and wildlife found along the Tennessee River as it flows from mountains to ocean. Highlights include playful otters and a seahorse exhibit. In Ocean Journey, visitors can enjoy a butterfly garden, penguins, sharks, and other ocean dwellers.
I love aquariums and this one did not disappoint. It is divided into two buildings, one for ocean one for river. It takes you through the museum in a specific path so you aren’t going in circles. The buildings are huge. But very fun to explore. My favorite part in the ocean building was seeing the sea turtles and my son loved the sharks and penguins. In the River building we both loved the giant river fish and all the turtles. He even got to touch an animal in its tank. Great family experience. The gift shop is even moderately priced

We all know that if I rate this place any lower than this, it will be shuffled out of sight because negativity isn't popular on this platform.
But here's the truth: it's underwhelming. If you've visited Florida, have been on any deep sea fishing trips, live near a river or spent any time near aquatic or riparian environments, you've seen all this and more. The best I can say is it does provide an adequate insight into water wildlife. If you have not been able to spend time near any bodies of water, it's a decent overview at best.
The ocean section of the aquarium leaves you with the feeling of "that's all?"
I CAN say that it's clean, well managed, and the staff is friendly. The layout and design is nice. It's relaxing and scenic. The buildings themselves are architecturally pretty. Beyond that though, it gets a ho hum shrug. If the tickets were any pricier, I'd say it's not a good value at all. For the current cost, it's a "fair" value at best, and that's being kind.
The pics I've included are seriously the stand out sights. Sorry to be so honest, I can tell they work hard, but the true rating would be a two point five.

Great aquarium and very easily accessible. One of our group members needs easy access ramps to get to things and they had absolutely no problem getting to every exhibit in the buildings. The aquarium is very kid friendly and I highly recommend bringing children here. We saw the scuba divers playing rock paper scissors with some of the kids while they were cleaning an exhibit. There is so much to see to give yourself a few hours to experience everything. You have to get tickets in advance!

Such a great aquarium!! We went around 3pm 2/18/24 and tickets were unfortunately sold out. Walking away towards the river I noticed that there was a member services entrance so I was curious about how much a family membership would be and if we got one would we be able to go in. Normal daily tickets are $40 for adults and youth tickets are $30. Our group would’ve paid $110 plus taxes I’m sure. The family membership for 1 year is $195 and would allow us to go in that day. Sold! We plan on returning to Chattanooga to explore Raccoon Mountain Caverns some more so I figured that the chances that we’d return to the aquarium too were pretty high. The aquarium consists of 2 buildings. The River Journey building and the Ocean Journey building. The aquarium closes at 5pm so we decided to go to the Ocean Journey building first. So much cool stuff to do! You can touch stingrays and go into a butterfly pavilion, watch penguins getting fed and so much more. We had enough time to go to the River Journey and got to see most of all of the amazing things in there before we had to leave. So much fun and I look forward to going back and being able to take our time and truly explore all of the cool things that they have to see.

This was a fun experience! I have so many questions! I certainly got my steps in!
The price of the tickets covered the River Journey. Both were very interesting and entertaining. Some parts are interactive.
On this day the penguins seemed to protest our being there... they had their backs to us... (giggles) and the Otter didn't show up at all.
I saw fish I'd never seen and I watch all things nature all of the time.
Masks are required... however not enforced. All employees wear masks.
Parking is tight because it's the only lot in the center of a business intersection. We walked from our hotel.
The food. Food is served, or should I say sold near the aquarium. The place was dirty and well, we ate cuz we were hungry and thirsty... that won't happen again. And just be aware, see the pic, if you order a salted pretzel... a SALTED pretzel is what you get.
The Aquarium and the river Journey are well worth the money. I do suggest you take lunch.

This is a fantastic date spot! I went with my boyfriend and some of his family and we all had a blast. The journey is easy to follow and the experience is beautiful. It's clean, staff are friendly, and it's an overall interesting experience. The gift shop is expensive, but the tickets are well worth your money. The website is still terrible for buying tickets, but we got in quickly with no trouble at the ticket booth.

Aquariums are always on the to-do list, and the one definitely didn't disappoint!
We arrived without really looking online about the tickets, but when we got there, you buy your ticket for a certain time slot. So we had to wait 45 minutes to get in, but it was not an issue cause there is so much to do outside the Aquarium that the time went really fast!
They have 2 different buildings, which are both extremely wheelchair accessible.
They have 2 pools where you can touch the animals, a beautiful butterfly room, lots of interactive things to do with kids, and so much more.
It's definitely worth the trip, and definitely worth the money!

A beautiful and educational experience. You can take the whole family, and there's something everyone will enjoy. There is a man-made creek out front, public access, and anyone is welcome to splash and play. The exhibits are spectacular, from glorious gardens and a butterfly room to the land of glowing jellyfish. I really enjoyed the river side, as it helps to teach our children about the place they live. There are several exhibits on being respectful to our planet. Most importantly, our 2 younger children got away from us in one of the areas with little lighting. The staff was awesome! They were ready to lock that place up tight the moment we told them what was going on. Luckily, the kids turned up about 30 seconds after that. It was very reassuring that the staff took it so seriously.
Plus, you're in downtown Chattanooga! You can grab a bite to eat at any of the numerous delicious restaurants within walking distance after you tour the museum!
Give yourself 3-5 hours to fully enjoy. We will be back. It's already our 3rd trip.

Little pricey but it's a great aquarium! The river portion alone is massive and the size of many other aquariums we've been to. Plenty of exhibits and fun for the family. Kids love the stingray petting exhibit in the ocean side of the aquarium!
Recommend buying tickets in advance so you don't have any wait and have a spot ready for you.

I have been to aquariums in 20 states. This was the first time I have seen a cold water river display. Very unique multi-tiered building. Freshwater side seems newer. Impressive. Perhaps my new favorite aquarium. Many species I have never seen. Saltwater side has one super large very clean tank that winds all through the building. A few impressive tanks on the salt side. But you are done before you want to be. The fresh water side is worth driving or flying in to see. We really enjoyed it.

Nice aquarium with plenty of interesting exhibits. Sadly, the penguin exhibit was being renovated so we didn't get to see any penguins, but everything else was interesting. The butterfly garden was very nice. The staff were very friendly and pointed out interesting things in the exhibits.

We were actually quite late entering and we're not given any issues. We had a lot of fun. The exhibits are perfect condition. The animals all seem happy. I swear some of the fish pose!
Christi Davis — Google review
This is an amazing aquarium! It's comparable to aquariums in Florida possibly even better. I love that they have the exhibits set up to reflect the location. For example, the penguin exhibit is cold while the alligator exhibit is humid and set up like a swamp. I also like that they separate the saltwater and freshwater into 2 different buildings. It truly is a fantastic experience for the whole family to enjoy.
Brooke Shorter — Google review
A very unique take on an aquarium but worthwhile. Some construction/renovation has areas unavailable. The seperation of fresh & salt water exhibits is good & gives time to enjoy, read about them & mosey along. The atmosphere & staff are very chill & helpful. The restrooms were well maintained and clean. The gift shops were also clean and organized.
The staff that would provide insight at various displays were knowledgeable and courteous.
We split the tour with lunch in between (we ate at Burger Republic across the parking lot from the aquarium & within easy walking distance. It is Veteran owned and operated and i highly recommend). I do suggest starting your tour in the freshwater exhibit as it will take longer to see. The saltwater exhibit is rather quick but take your time in the lemur enclosure, butterfly room and penguins. Lots of laughs to be had!
Overall a great afternoon spent with family!

Our favorite aquarium we’ve ever seen! We drive almost 4 hours just to visit for a day trip when possible. We love how clean and how well the animals are taken care of. Today we got to see divers cleaning the tanks. One diver was so very sweet when he saw my autistic son holding a river toy and signed for a photo with him! That definitely made our day!
Mamanik13 — Google review
There are 2 buildings and a beautifully designed space in between. You start from the tops of the buildings and work your way down, so it is a very easy and accessible attraction. It takes about 3 hours to do both buildings if you don't stop to read all the informative educational plaques or try out the touch tanks. The River building does have more tanks to look at, but the Ocean building has equal amount of entertainment. You do have to pay for parking and there are lots of places around to go eat at afterwards. Great for all ages.

An absolutely wonderful experience! The freshwater exhibits are spectacular and they cover so many species. The saltwater aquarium is equally as cool and it also has a butterfly atrium on top
Kevin Parker (KPKev) — Google review
Impressive! Parking could be tricky but we got lucky and were able to park on their lot. I’ve been to a lot of aquariums but this one is so well done. You really feel like you are experiencing the world under the water. Two buildings, one for freshwater (lots of local river info and rivers around the world) and the ocean building. The staff was feeding and explaining everywhere. Really allowed you to see the animals in action. Touch pool as well. Butterfly garden. Admission was around $40 for adults but well worth it for the experience. IMAX movies were available for extra fee.
Also check out the Trail of Tears memorial and the river right outside. Lots of places to sit and enjoy a beautiful day outside.
Heather Winder — Google review
Customer service was very friendly at the front desk, we had to wait for the 1:00 p.m. tour, so we had 45 minutes where we walked around the outside and enjoyed the beautiful scenery. Very nice view by the river made the time go by fast and we even walked through the gift shop and grab some concessions from the snack shack.
The tour is beautiful, everything seemed to well kept, we enjoyed all of the exotic fish as well as all the information that is posted throughout the exhibit. My favorite was the butterfly exhibit, I was told that they had more butterflies in previous moments but I understand during the winter time they can't have a ton of butterflies out. But they were very nice and there were quite a few of them to watch.
Highly recommend coming here, all the animals seem well taken care of and there wasn't as busy as I thought it was going to be on a Saturday.

We really enjoyed our time at the aquarium, it was fun for all ages. We loved the crawl spaces, it made us feel like we were in the tanks. The collection of animals was diverse making it more interesting. We loved how the River building flowed and wished that continued in the Ocean building. Overall it's somewhere we'd visit again!

Saturday crazy busy!! I looked online before traveling. Nothing said to purchase tickets in advance. We had to wait 3 hours before we could even schedule a time to enter the aquarium. On top of that, we had to pay 15$ to park. Ended up having to purchase tickets for the next day and come back because the next scheduled time would not give us enough time to view both fresh and salt water sides. We are not local. Hopefully, this will be worth the return trip tomorrow!!
Follow up, we drove back to Chattanooga and visited both sites. We had to pay another 15$ to park. The salt water side was okay. The older fresh water side was very nice. I have to be honest, it was NOT worth 110$ for 3 of us, but it had been over 10 years since we had been. Probably will not return for another 10 years. The city was clean and there were a lot of places to eat.

Fantastic Aquarium. The split buildings were a cool way to physically transfer you from Fresh Water to Salt.
The Ocean bottom walk through was the best I've ever experienced. Multiple areas to view fish 360° and spots to sit/lay and enjoy.
The river walk was very unique, haven't seen any other Aquariums that focus on rivers in particular. Getting to pet a sturgeon was awesome.

Great Aquarium! We had a blast. There is a lot to see between the two aquariums that are very different one being the ocean and the building next door has native and river fish. Traveled with toddler and was a great space to walk around. Went Friday during the day and there was not many people. Highly recommend stopping. With having picnic outside before we spent three hours here.
All the tanks and fish are well kept. Tanks are clean and spacious.

My wife and I visited the Aquarium on a rainy Tuesday. We did everything except the IMAX show and it took us about 3 hrs to get through all of it. It was one of the best aquariums Ive been to. This is on par or better than the Boston and Miami aquariums. The design of the buildings makes it easy to navigate all the exhibits and so you can see everything efficiently. If you’re visiting from out of town, don’t miss this place! and of course if you live around it, and haven’t gotten there yet, make it a point to go and check it out, you wont be disappointed!
The historic Walnut Street Bridge, commonly referred to as 'The Walking Bridge,' is a revitalized pedestrian bridge that provides access to museums and city parks. It is the second longest pedestrian bridge in the United States and offers a vehicle-free environment for walking, allowing visitors to enjoy panoramic views of the picturesque riverfront.
Worth the visit. At first I wanted to visit Chattanooga but Read some comments on fb about the city and desisted. We decided to go to Knoxville and gatlinburg. But still curious we decided to drive also to this city. The views are very pretty, the city is around mountains. Definitely love it. We decided to park the car and walk around. This bridge offers lots of nice views and good pictures. Take water with you, long walk. It has a few benches and you cross to one part of the city to the other part so its fun.

Pretty cool to walk this bridge. There's also a nice outdoor artificial waterfall about Indian Trail of Tears nearby. Bridge overlooks an island & has a nice park on the far end away from the city. Also beautiful at night. Even caught a couple musicians! It's a little hard to get to but if you pay close attention to GPS you can find a path to it.

Nice view over the river. Had a couple of buskers playing music & lots of dog friends. Safe for the family. There’s a lot of interesting history to read about too. I recommend stopping by to check it out if you’re in the area! The downtown life is great in the area too.

It's a really beautiful bridge but currently could use some TLC as far as paint and rotting wood. But it's a fantastic way to get some exercise and get from Bluff View/the art museum to the fun shops on Frazier. Don't sleep on the Ice Cream Show on the downtown side and all the sculptures in the area.

I enjoyed walking on this historic bridge. Beautiful views of the river and the city!! Plenty of restaurants, shops, gift shops, nearby parks and outdoor art displays such as in the Bluff View Art District are accessible via the Walnut Street Bridge. You can get to the local museums and learn about the local history from the art displayed throughout the area including in Coolidge Park located on the North Shore. I was able to see the Ed Johnson Memorial as well and took some time to learn and reflect. I highly recommend a stroll across the bridge and taking some time to take in the scenic views.

I enjoyed walking the Walnut Street Bridge. I've never walked along a major pedestrian bridge before, so this was a cool experience. Lots of people. There's also a bridge parallel to this one that both cars & pedestrians use. Walnut Street Bridge is cooler looking though. Good times 👍

Perfect pedestrian bridge for people (and fur babies) of all ages. The views all of the way around are beautiful! During the fall/winter, it can be a bit breezy and cold, but with a coat on, we were all still very comfortable. It is taken care of well and you learn a lot as you walk!

Nice bridge to walk across the river. There is not much scenery from either end, so I am not sure the wow factor or if this is a must do in the area, but it’s a decent walk that will take less than 30 minutes both ways.

Very cool bridge only made for pedestrians. This pretty much connects two different areas of the city that are extremely different. You could easily travel from the aquarium, across the river by this bridge. Lots of things to see and it's not too far of a walk. Once you cross there are lots of little shops and restaurants to explore and a beautiful park underneath the bridge.

Gorgeous bridge and easy walk, very safe and good views. There is good busking--one guitarist I stopped for played with bell harmonics. On the north side there is a cool bookshop, giftstore, and other places to stop in before turning around (if coming from the south like I was).
My *biggest* recommendation is to come here to watch sunrise. Absolutely beautiful, worth the early waking, no ragrets.

This bridge is in the upperclass part of downtown Chattanooga. The tourist attraction is biker and pedestrian friendly. You’ll often find people busking and sometimes artists on the bridge.

What’s good? No vehicles allowed–making it an excellent stroll for pedestrians. The wooden deck is aesthetically pleasing–it looks, sounds, and feels good. With both the original road deck and sidewalks available, it is generally not crowded–plenty of room for everyone.
What’s bad? While the wooden deck is fun for pedestrians, I would imagine this to be an uncomfortable ride for cyclists.
Overall, this is a fun bridge to cross and is an asset for the city.

This is most beautiful bridge I have ever seen and walked end to end.
We also waited to see the sunset with ice cream. You can buy the ice cream from the corner shop at the start of the bridge. The bridge is quite old and it’s maintained well. Sitting chair with multiple dustbins available for trash. Very clean and great place for photo shoot and hangout.
Loved the bridge. Parking is free after 6 with coin parking street areas near to the bridge.

The best time to visit this historical landmark is right before sundown. Leave your car in the Coolidge Park area and enjoy a stroll across the bridge as the colors change from orange glow to glittering city lights. If you work up an appetite there are many places to eat at the end of the Market Street bridge.
Harrison Bay State Park is a picturesque wooded park located along the shores of Chickamauga Lake, offering 40 miles of lakefront for various outdoor activities. The park features boat facilities, camping options including primitive and RV sites, as well as pet-friendly cabins. Additionally, it boasts a Jack Nicklaus-designed golf course for enthusiasts. Visitors can enjoy a 4.3-mile loop trail with scenic views of the lake and ample free parking.
The best seat in the house. On the water, next to the bathroom and peaceful. We even had the excitement of the park rangers recovering a honey bee swarm that was right next to our site. The bathrooms and showers were great and the other guests are very social. There is a big bull frog nearby and a small heard of deer that may walk through after dark. Given the opportunity we will come back to this campground again. The site shown is A47.

Beautiful walking trail that’s a 4.3 mile loop with great views of chickamauga lake. Parking is free and there’s lots of spots available. The only downside was that the trail was very muddy (even though it’s been 2 days since it last rained) so be sure to wear appropriate shoes.

As a local to the area, I love the walking Bay Loop with my family and our dog. The terrain is a dirt rocky path. I love the small beach areas to sit and rest. The path is filled with wonderful wildlife animals. Bay Loop is mostly a shaded trail, with some portions visible to the bay. Camping is available within the State Park.

Very nice state park. Beautiful place on the water. Plenty of bathrooms and open space. Plenty of activities from basketball to swimming pool amphitheater and more. You have a chance of seeing wildlife like deer. We camped here the sites are paved and level. Like most state parks there is water and electricity but no sewer connection. Highly recommended this place.

Beautiful park. Four separate Campground loops, A-D. Some with lake(river) at your back door. Very strict on the late check-in (read occupy site) time. We got in around noon ok...paid $46.33 for one night for a 26 ft class c 30amp.

Our first time to Harrison state park we visited the Beach and Picnic Area. It was so beautiful, with clear water to swim in for the kids. We saw many deer and other wildlife, and had a great time socializing at the picnic tables next to the water. We loved watching the kayaking and we will have to go back for more water sports soon!

Beautiful park! Plentiful campsites, many with paved pads. The spacious and pleasant air-conditioned recreation hall (meeting room) has plenty of natural light, a roomy kitchen and ample restrooms, plus a deck overlooking the pool and lake. Campground area A has 8 individual full bathrooms with walk-in showers, which are meticulously maintained by Robert and Ann, the hard-working and friendly camp hosts. The gift shop is staffed by helpful and informative people who really know and care about this park and its history (thank you, Amanda!).

Beautiful park with lost of option for hiking, fishing, and biking! The park was quite clean and we rode 6.5 miles through the forest and on beaches. Will definitely return!

I visited for the trail. I'm glad I explored away from the smaller trail at the very beginning. That gravel location is more of a walk and read journey. The larger trail is located passed the bay area around a large parking lot. Youll see the trail entrance clearly.
You cannot get lost in this place. Trees are marked with a red square to indicated correct Pathway, plus the worn path is a clear 👌 identifier of where you should be heading. It will take you all the way around, a 4.1 mile loop of all terrain.
If you have one, take a bike. I ran it, but it was still fun. Just make sure to watch your step. On this day, I only saw 1 couple on the trail. That's it. So make sure someone knows you are in there if you go alone because it seems that I would take a long time for someone to locate you if your sprain an ankle or something.
Bring water too.
I enjoyed the trail. Can't say much about the water or the boating. Sorry.
I recommend this place for sure.

Beautiful state park in Harrison Bay. You've got water all around you so dropping a boat, jet ski, standup paddle boards, or a kayak is very easy. If you're camping, some of the spots can be tight with trees so you'll want some extras eyes backing in and out. None of the spots have full hookups so you'll need to be mindful of that during your stay.

We love coming here, walking around and playing at the park or throwing the ball. Great place to ride around on the bicycle too.

We overnighter at Harrison State Park on our way north. We stayed in loop A site 18. As we understood, loop A was roomier than the other loops and we would agree. We camped in a 28 ft. Travel trailer and could keep our TV attached. Beautiful sunset and a quiet night sleep. It is a bit of a twisty road coming to the park but no issues with our 50ft. Total length. We would stay again and probably longer to explore what the area has to offer.

Campground A is the best if you want a little space and level sites. Be sure to pay attention to the dimensions listed for each site. They are accurate and some sites will not accommodate larger RVs. The water campsites are the best. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets. We saw a river otter swimming in our area each night. Great place for kayaking, paddle boarding or boating. It was a relaxing weekend. The bathhouse near site 37 where we stayed was very spacious. If you have small children, it would be very easy to use one bathhouse room that includes a shower, sink and toilet. I would definitely be careful selecting a site on B,C or D. I highly recommend this state park.

I give a low score for the day use areas. None of them seem to have public restrooms. If you utilize the picnic and fishing area near the dog dark there are no restrooms. If you utilize the fishing area at the loop there are no restrooms. The same goes for the day use area at the corner of 58 highway. It seems that only people who pay for camping matter.

I've visited Harrison Bay state park many years. I live 15 minutes away. Love the views and the many places to walk an take photos. Nice getaway.
Restored courthouse with exhibits, photos & news clippings related to 1925 Scopes Monkey trial.
Strawberry festival cruise in was great. What a variety of what must be the owner's babies. Food offerings should please any appetite. Various crafters. Prices up which is no surprise. A flat of strawberries $40. They were excellent and huge

The famous Scope Trail museum is worth coming and seeing at this Court House. It was a working court house not that long ago where they held court as well as recording your Deeds, pay your property taxes, buy tags for your Auto. It's a great place to visit and always in May you have the famous Strawberry festival 🍓 going on all around with nightly events happening at the Courthouse. Rhea County has lots of things to do in it.

A historical landmark in a quaint, quiet small Southern town. Dayton, TN has its own charm. Everytime I visit this town, it puts a smile on my face.

We enjoyed rural Tennessee for a Christmas family vacation. We stayed at a beautiful home that we found on vrbo. We were near Dayton and just north of Chattanooga. Dayton is a pretty little town with all of the amenities that we needed. We visited Copper Hill and the Ocoee River. We took a holiday train ride in Chattanooga and visited Lookout Mountain at night. We had a very nice time there and will return. Loved the area between Cleveland and Dayton. Nice people.

Fantastic experience. This is where the Scopes monkey trial was held so this is a bucket list item for me. Nice small museum in the basement and the courtroom is much as it was during the trial in 1925. Hardly anyone there and the courtroom was completely open. Nothing roped off. I was able to sit where Clarence Darrow and William Jennings Bryan sat.

A modest museum but important in the progress of our democracy. The courthouse housing the museum is near and clean. It preserved the feel of that era.

So much rich history in this beautiful town. I love most that it mattered to them enough to preserve not just the pretty things but even the not so pretty things so that we can reflect on where things started.

Great short stop if your visiting Dayton. You can see the courtroom as well as a little museum from the Scopes trial in the basement.

Construction, limited signage and little help from the information desk...but we did get to see the court room upstairs and the museum in the basement. An interesting history. It's a bit dingy and feels a lot forgotten, but absolutely worth a stop.
