This place is ahhhhMazing! We bought a membership this year and so glad we did! We go once a week and my kids 4 & 1 only are able to explore only 1/4 of it each time which is perfect. The staff here are so interactive too, they show them how to make bubbles, one guy even dressed up and did a whole pirate fight with my 4yo, it was so sweet to see. Thanks for being such a great time.

From the outside I wasn't expecting much, but I was so so wrong. They had so many exhibits and fun things to learn and do. My kids loved it and even after playing for 2 and 1/2 hours there were still not ready to go. And the extra dollar per ticket was totally worth it to see the special exhibit.
It is a must stop for those with kids. Especially on days that are well into the 90s and 100s (it was cool inside on a super hot and muggy day).

KIDS LOVE THE MUSEUM!
We had a wonderful time here at the museum. The fun way to teach science with play was exciting. They have many different exhibits for engaging kids. They do offer a huge outdoor playground. The pretend play rooms were equally fun and popular among kids.
Akila Iyer — Google review
Went here with daughter 12 and son 11 for pumpkin smashing event. Kids had a blast watching the pumpkins flying through the air and a staff member pummeling pumpkins with a giant mallet. Afterwards visited the museum which we had been to before for some additional fun. Due to COVID pandemic you did need to buy tickets in advance and for slotted entry time. There was a crowd and most were following safety protocols.
Scott Rocush — Google review
This is such a great museum with TONS of hands-on learning experiences! If you want your kids to experience everything this place has to offer, you need to plan on being there for a while! The outdoor area is very unique, so make sure you go on a day that enables your kids to play outside, too!
Michael Carton — Google review
Another great visit to Discovery Center! We love the grocery store/bank area. We played for an hour in there itself. I even have a little driver now!
Christina A. Pascucci — Google review
Spent a few hours here with my grandsons. What a great hands on place for kids! There was so much to do and explore. There was also a huge outdoor play area for the nicer weather. Highly recommend to bring the kids here!
Denise R — Google review
My five kids, ranging in age from two to eleven, had so much fun here. The outdoor playground impressed my kids and occupied them for a long time. There is plenty to do inside, too. I'm not really sure why they don't just charge $11 to get in and make Discovery Town part of the museum. We paid the extra dollar per person and my kids loved it. I would never skip it if we went back and for a buck each you may as well. We didn't arrive until after 12:00 pm and they close at 4:00. In the future I would arrive as close to opening as possible since my kids didn't have time to check out all the exhibits they wanted to see. There is definitely enough to do to fill a whole day. Definitely a good value.
Nina K — Google review
Great place for kids and adults alike! A small amount of the exhibits are out of order and overall it could use some maintenance, but this place has a lot to see and do regardless. We had an absolute blast trying everything we could, both indoors and out. And very reasonable pricing to boot. It was definitely a memorable experience and worth the trip.
Chris Olsen — Google review
We visit Discovery Center a few times each year. The environment is clean and engaging for kids from toddler through adulthood. My children enjoy both levels, and our favorite part is the awesome playground connected to the museum. (Seasonal) The only issue I have with this place with is price of admission for adults. As we are merely supervising, and the children obviously cannot go alone, we HAVE to be there.
Amber Kasyanyuk — Google review
We have a Peoria Playhouse membership, so going here was free. Boy were we surprised when we saw how HUGE it was! There is cool stuff for kids of different ages to do around every corner. This has to be the most comprehensive play center we've ever been to. The only thing they could use is something to eat while you are there, because it's easy to spend hours there.
Jerrod Webb — Google review
We enjoy all the fun interactive ways to learn and play here. It brings out the kid in you and it provides new learning experiences for the whole family, for anyone regardless of your age.
Melissa Pemble — Google review
Love it here! Only thing I could wish for is a working coffee area. My son loves the light table and we got a lot of fun out of the winter event! There are different areas to explore, we had older children with us and once he had fallen asleep we spent nearly 2 hours upstairs in the fitness area!
Charity (Indie) — Google review
Wow! We loved this place. It just didn't seem to end, one exhibit after the other! And there was so much to do upstairs, too. Great for my 2 year old but I think a 10 year old would have just as much fun!
Becca Weaver — Google review
Fantastic children’s museum. My 7 year old grandchild is obsessed with the “smoke bubbles” and didn’t want to leave. We spent 6 hours here and he could have easily spent a few more. Worth the trip and worth the $10 price tag for all day entertainment if your child is in to STEM and science. I’d you have. A child who is more in to jungle gyms and physical play, this might not hold their interest for long.
Nkotb4me — Google review
I loved this place 40 years ago! and now I took my Grands! They loved it so much! Wonderful areas for discovery and creative play. They want to go back. Staff members are so friendly and lovely. Highly recommend. You can take lunch and eat in their lunch room. Reasonable entrance fees and free parking.

So fun…many functions for 0-10years old kids!Good place! We had a great day in here!
kristy wang — Google review
This was so much fun! The outdoor play area is huge, and both floors have so many activities! This was also great for my older son. He has aged out of so many children's museums, but he loved this one!
Anderson Japanese Gardens is a peaceful and expansive 12-acre garden in the traditional Japanese style, complete with a delightful farm-to-table cafe. Though not the largest of gardens, it boasts stunning beauty that makes it well worth visiting. The gift shop offers a diverse range of items for visitors to peruse, and the walking trail is enjoyable for all – particularly as certain sections are handicap accessible.
Beautiful time to go see this garden. Worth the drive! The vibrant colors of the leaves starts from the parking lot. Gorgeous place to just take your time and breathe in nature. Restaurant was ok. Regular restaurant. I wish they would up the Japanese experience with getting more authentic food. But still good I definitely recommend making a reservation. And they accommodate gluten free allergies.
Jacqueline Jablonski — Google review
Beautiful little gardens feels very authentic. There. There are lots of little spots off the path where you can sit and just enjoy the serene beauty. Highlights include the little buildings themselves that are very oriental and make and seem quite authentic. Unfortunately these gardens are quite small and for $11 entry it almost is a little too expensive. It's more like a $5 entertainment for maybe an hour maybe an hour maybe an hour maybe an hour Max
Wisco Simple — Google review
Incredible Japanese garden tucked into a suburban area of Rockford. One of the most beautiful, well maintained, and thoughtful gardens I have been to in a long time. Full of amazing little areas to discover. There is also a restaurant on site and an amazing gift shop selling all kinds of cool Japanese items including snacks. This place is well worth a visit even if you have to go out of your way a bit. The craftsmanship and care is incredible. Admission is 13 dollars for adults.
Susannah Ball — Google review
Enjoyed feeding the fish and birds, the gardens were breathtaking, and the buildings were so nice. There was a lot of musty smell to the buildings, but they were absolutely gorgeous. I loved the little hidden gems, too.
Amaya Okazaki — Google review
What an amazing space inside of Rockford! Meticulously maintained gardens that are lush and full of calming water features. Really great way to spend a few hours.
Scott Mitchell — Google review
We visited on the last weekend of October and had a wonderful time. The grounds were well-maintained and there was lots to see and experience. The map was helpful since it was our first visit. There are frequent benches and seating areas which makes the route as peaceful and restful as you want it to be. We spent about an hour and half strolling the gardens. I will say, drinks at the coffee bar near the restaurant were super overpriced and serves in an unprofessional way, but everything else was top notch!
Beth Carter — Google review
The Rockford Japanese Gardens is truly a gem worth exploring. As an avid garden enthusiast, I can confidently say that it ranks among the finest I've encountered. Located in the beautiful Rockford area, this garden offers an exquisite blend of tranquility and natural beauty. From the meticulously designed landscapes to the captivating water features, every aspect exudes a sense of serenity. The attention to detail is remarkable, showcasing the mastery of Japanese gardening techniques. Walking through the garden feels like stepping into a serene oasis, providing a much-needed escape from the bustling world. A visit to the Rockford Japanese Gardens is a must for anyone seeking solace in nature's embrace.
aidanjeffrey — Google review
The organizational flow in the garden is very efficient. There was a shortage on parking, so extra parking lots were sourced from the area, with two shuttle going back and forth all day long.
The restaurant offers a fair variety of foods and drinks, that were really great! Little events were staged all afternoon, and some were really educational, apart from the entertaining aspects and soothing live Japanese instrumental music. The garden itself, though not styled to present many flower types, was full of exquisite greenery, calming areas, flowing streams, waterfalls and ponds. lending itself to peaceful, contemplative states of mind.
We were also able to purchase beautiful kimonos and garments for men and women.
A full experience that we will return to, for certain!

These gardens are absolutely gorgeous and so well maintained! I highly recommend visiting here as well as the nearby Laurent House (designed by Frank Lloyd Wright). This was my first visit, and I would love to come back in the spring to see everything in bloom.
R P — Google review
Garden was beautiful. It is not the biggest garden out there, but definitely worth the visit. The gift shop has a nice variety of items. The walking trail is great, and having certain parts handicap accessible is a plus. Make sure you buy some fish food to feed the fish and ducks, it's a fun experience to have.
I. S. — Google review
Love this place, they even have little sections where you can take photos. Its breathtaking and gorgeous.
Got some neat pictures with my fiancé and my brother. We chose this location because it sounded cool and it was amazing! Ive only met my brother twice and I am so glad that me and him got to see this place as one of our meet ups!!! 💗

It's been over 10 years since I visited Anderson Gardens and it's just as lovely as I remembered. The volunteers in the garden were helpful and the gift shop was filled with items ranging from tea sets to candies and treats that your anime loving friend would enjoy.
Despite the heat and lack of significant rainfall everything looked great and there was plenty of areas to get out of the sun.
Kristen — Google review
It is an excellent place for relaxation with the family. If you are a fitness conscious individual, you will definitely get your steps here while enjoying nature.
If you plan on staying for a couple of hours and you'll hit lunchtime, try to eat first before strolling so you won't have to join the crowd at the cafe during lunch hour. They have good food at a reasonable price. Expect to spend at least $20-$25/person for food.
Once you are energized after a visit to their cafe, you are ready to enjoy the beautiful scenery.
sophia ruiz — Google review
The gardens are well-maintained and easy to walk around. There are plenty of benches where you can sit and relax and enjoy the scenery. The gardens are a great place to visit for a peaceful walk, a romantic stroll, or a family outing.
It is a lovely place to visit. It is a great place to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and enjoy some peace and tranquility. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Rockford, Illinois

The founder’s principals of authentic design, first-class craftsmanship and world-class maintenance have led to the Gardens’ reputation as one of the finest Japanese gardens in the world

This is a hidden gem out in the suburbs. Located in Rockford which is quite a drive from the Chicago area. Tickets for an adult are $11-13. I only came here once just because of the distance but I wouldn’t mind coming back in the summer. They have alluring, breathtaking waterfalls here and koi in the ponds. Just a reminder, this place is for relaxing and being stress free. They do have a restaurant but I didn’t eat there. On their online menu, I noticed it’s not very Japanese oriented. Parking is sufficient, it doesn’t really get busy here.
Nicholas P — Google review
Totally worth the time to stop by here. The gardens are lush and well-tended and it makes for a nice outing with anyone, or all by yourself. The attached restaurant is quite nice and delicious though a bit pricy and there’s a gift store you can get some interesting things in.
Ben Herman — Google review
Perhaps the most extraordinary garden I have ever had the privilege of visiting. I cannot believe this is in Northern Illinois--I felt like I was back visiting Japan so many years ago. We visited in May of 2022 in what may have been one of the best seasons to visit. I've been itching to go back and see what else they accomplish in other seasons. One can get peacefully lost for hours in this place.

Had a wonderful time at their Illuminated event. From the light display, to hot chocolate and woodfired pizza - it was a great way to kick off the holiday season! Love coming here!

Beautiful park. It is smaller than maybe some other gardens but definitely worth checking-in and strolling around, especially now that the fall colors are so spectacular!
Craft brewery featuring a tasting room, gifts, self-guided tours & reservation-only hard hat tours.
This is one of the best breweries we have ever visited. The buildings are so beautiful with the Swiss theme. The outside tasting area is so relaxing, & beautiful! You good stay there all day and enjoy the great tasting beer while relaxing & enjoying nature. Clean & beautiful. Looking forward when they can be fully open on the weekends for more people to enjoy. The gift shop has something for everyone. Love the home of the Spotted cow! Thank you to all the staff who make it a great place to visit.

For years I have been giving people money if the get to visit here. Well now it's my turn! I loved it here! The self tour was fun as it allowed us to see everything at our own pace. The tap room and beer room were fun too! So many great flavors and old standards. I will always be a supporter of New Glarus Brewing.

Had a day off so I went to the New Glarus Brewing Company, I wanted to come here before I left Wisconsin, really kool place. Unfortunately I didn’t get a chance to take the tour but I bought some really nice souvenirs to take back with me, which I thought were reasonably priced, also taking a case of spotted cow back with me. 👍🏽
Dagoberto J Rodriguez — Google review
One of my favorite breweries of all time. I’ve been drinking their beer for 2 decades. We finally made a trip to visit the brewery and were not disappointed. The tour and tastings were great. I wish I could have bought more souvenirs to bring home. We had a great visit and will come back any time we return to the area.
Lane Milde — Google review
It's one of my favorite breweries ever. Have been here twice in my life, and both have been the capstone of amazing road trips to get here. The tour is fun, people are friendly, and the beer is downright amazing. Amazing enough, I accidently told my coworkers where I was going, and well, the cases ordered almost didn't fit in the car.
Jakob Barker — Google review
So glad we FINALLY made it down to New Glarus to see the brewery and have some fresh and tasty brews! So cool to be able to walk the grounds at our own pace. We did not do the guided tour but I'm sure it would be amazing! Had some snow falling when we were there which made for awesome pictures of the exterior of the building as well! Highly highly recommend! Note: brewery only open during the weekday

Been wanting to come here for a long time. Bulk ordering area is nice. Self guided tour is cool. All the cool places to walk and sit is awesome. The beer serving area could be better… I’m sure they were transitioning to another area. Love it. Excited to mule 3 cases of spotted cow home to Texas!

Bear testing is very exciting though changeable one must go for tasting. we spend about 2 hours enjoying everything.

Enjoyed the self guided tour and the beer tasting. As a hard core fan of spotted cow beer, this was an informative tour that was on our list for the last 3years.
Tours allow you to see the brewing process, fermentation tanks, bottling, labeling and packaging.
Self guided tours are offered on weekdays up until 5pm. Hard hat tours are limited to Friday for a max of 20people.
The beer depot offers all their beer ranges to take home.

Old-world charm .... good place to tour to see how beer is produced.
On weekends, the alphorns play.
Beer tasting & buying along with a gift shop & small museum about the history of beer. It was a very nice experience... like being in Europe!

New Glarus Brewing Company offers amazing beers of highest quality and taste. Spotted Cow is the flagship beer, and probably the best beer available. The hard hat tour is pretty amazing, for the pride and passion that goes into every bottle, keg, and can is inspiring.

Fun brewery to tour and a great gift shop. Unfortunately they are currently not open on the weekends. The beer garden is really nice. You have to buy tickets for beers. They have some common stuff on tap but also some you don't see often. With your first beer you get a souvenir glass and a drink token for one of the fun local bars so if you plan on stopping in town it's a great deal.

Amazing Brewery, with an Amazing story!
Gorgeous property, with a great experience!
Self guided tour was really great with plenty of information to make it a great experience. There’s a video about the entire history of the brewery, the family, and how “Spotted Cow” came to be. ADA accessible. Plenty of restrooms so you can take your time and be casual on your time here. There’s a sampling area, where you can buy a 3 drink sampler, or your favorite pint. You get to keep your glass, and a free drink token to enjoy a beer at participating locations. Gift shop with a great selection of local items, including Bobs B*tchin BBQ sauce! Absolutely love this brewery!!

The brewery is great with a great story along with it. They let you walk around in a self-guided tour, and the grounds are great too! It's a cool town, too... check out downtown New Glarus, they call it 'little Switzerland'

This is a quaint brewery to tour. It looks like a German village. The success story of the owners is wonderful. We were not able to get tickets for the hard hat tour since they were sold out. We enjoyed the self guided tour and a sample

Really like the grounds, location and the tour and take home beers. Tasting room could be improved. Just 3 standing tables. Add some seating and tables to make it more welcoming.
20 acres of landscaped paths & gardens, with tours of English-, Japanese- & French-themed areas.
This is a true gem to visit. Only an hour out of Milwaukee and *so* worth the drive. An immersion into nature and a contemplative haven. Beautifully designed and meticulously maintained garden vignettes, meandering paths, ponds, bridges, waterfalls and plenty of seating along the way—thanks to colorful Adirondack chairs thoughtfully place at the waters edge and benches throughout the gardens inscribed with inspirational quotes. I am looking forward to going back. Soon.

We love Rotary Garden! We love going there in warm weather but the best thing to see is the light display!! Every year they add more lights; they’re over one million lights! It can get really busy for the lights on weekends, especially when it gets closer to Christmas. We like to go early in December, right when they open at 4:30. We hang out near the entrance until it gets darker and then we enjoy the lights! They don’t allow anyone in the building right now because of covid, and there aren’t any tickets available for purchase on site. There are port-a-potties at the entrance and halfway through the route. There are limited concessions available for purchase on some nights. The route through the garden is one-way and directs you through all the decorated gardens and displays. There are several spots set up for family photos. It’s a fantastic spot to visit!

First time visiting the Janesville Rotary Gardens (7.21.2023). It was just beautiful. Everything is laid out nicely and plenty of benches to relax and take in the gardens at your leisure! Staff is very friendly and greet you with a smile. Happy to answer questions or share their knowledge of the gardens.
The gift shop had so many unique items, couldn't walk out without buying something.
We brought our own lunch to enjoy on the terrace overlooking a fountain and the children's garden. Nice morning spent, will definitely go back again.

This place is absolutely magical! It is so astounding during the regular season to walk through, but Christmas time is magical. You might have to wait in line to get in and buy tickets ahead of time online, and may have to drive a little bit to get there. It is worth it, they do a fantastic job with the lights.
Dorene Rossman — Google review
What a pleasant surprise. Visiting the gardens is worth the trip. I took tons of pictures as every view was stunning. I was needing to fill sometime while others I was vacationing with did a strenuous hike. I think I got the long end of the stick.... gift shop was basic but prices reasonable and I purchased 2 items.

Visitng this late in the season comes with its own challenges of things being in bloom or not. But these gardens were very relaxing to stroll through even when things weren't in bloom. Look out for the hidden gems and take a break from the hassle and bustle of everyday life. Bonus: Chicago Botanical Garden Holders can use their annual passes to gain free entry to the gardens, so make sure to check out the gift shop before you leave!

As part of The Come Back Chorus, we got to sing there at a Christmas Party! It was a very nice event with catered food from The Italian House.
The Gardens are beautifully lit with colored lights.
I've walked the gardens during the day and it's such a peaceful, meditative experience. Flowers, trees and plants. . .with many inspirational benches to rest on and ponder.

Beautiful place to take a stroll! Dahlias were in full bloom when we went. Awesome little gem in Janesville! If you go in to the visitor center, by the bathrooms, there's a really cool group of historical pictures showing the transformation of the site. I really think that this historical stuff should be less hidden. It truly shows you how much difference gardens can improve the ordinary.

Rotary Botanical Gardens is stunning.
The staff last Saturday was friendly and helpful. They joyfully took the time to teach us about the flowers we had questions about. 🩷 There's lots of love in those gardens, and it feels amazing to slowly walk through and enjoy all of the sights and smells. May is a beautiful time of year to waltz through. 🩷

Hidden gem of Janesville! The grounds are immaculate and well-cared-for the staff is amazing the gift shop is unmatched! I can't say enough about How wonderful this place is! When I think of my favorite places to visit, this is one of them! Not a huge place, but every corner contains beauty of nature! Very quiet and peaceful setting with nice walking paths, many benches to sit and relax, photographer's dream! Made up of several themed areas into one large setting containing art of statues, ponds, flowers, trees and ferns, koi pond and lots of birds and small creatures. Easy parking, gift shop and fair admission prices. Great place for weddings and receptions. Highly recommend!

I can't recommend this place enough, their holiday lights are absolutely beautiful. It's not too expensive, bring your family, go more than once. most beautiful place.
Tracy Juisto — Google review
This was our first year to look at the lights for the botanical garden light show. We enjoyed the different sections that were set up to take pictures. Small concession stands and a beautiful gazebo. As long as your children can stand the weather it is worth the walk. Some places did seem a little rushed just because the amount of people on certain trails. Almost turned into herding cattle. The parking lot was unbelievably full and parking was not well lit and we ended up parking on a busy road with little children. I really want to go back in the summer to see all of the beautiful landscaping and foliage.
Jodie Schamper — Google review
We traveled 3.5 hours to attend the light show this year, and it was amazing. Parking is nuts. We had quite a walk, and the line was long but definitely worth it. We will be going back next year.

I like to go once a year to see the Christmas lights. I love the prices and the displays. The walk through is very nice.
A walking path encircles this large, tranquil lake, a popular place for swimming & water sports.
Amazing place. We really didn't know what to expect having never been to this part of the country before. We were very pleased and wonderfully surprised at this incredible setting. This is where all the rich and well off from Chicago would come and summer and or good cause, it truly is a relaxing and beautiful place.
The lake is lined with mansions from a prior era, each with their own story to tell, some can be toured. The town is small and quaint and very welcoming to visitors and guests a like. We found many great places to eat and many activities to enjoy while vacationing here.
The mail run boat is a must do for anyone coming here, was a major highlight for us, not just from watching the young runners performing superb feats of wonder to deliver the mail onto the docks from a boat that never stops, but also the wonderful history and stories told during the circling of the lake shore.
We stayed at the old Playboy resort and found it charming with its own stories to tell. Fireworks show, nice rooms, even a ski run if you happen to be there in the winter. Here you can drive out on the lake in the winter as well, although one of the stories was about how several cars went through ice one year. So be careful.

The water is super warm, however you have to pay a beach entrance fee. Jet ski is about 140/hour and 6-seater boat is 350 for 2 hours

The Cellar Tasting experience was so fun! They take you down to their cellar room and walk you through the process. After they explain all of the wines on the menu you pick a wine flight with four choices. When your wine flight comes they also give you four chocolate truffles to pair with the wines and a cheese board. The board has three cheeses, three meats, olives, bread and butter, crackers and nuts. Once you get down to the last couple of wines they give you a full glass. Great two hours of enjoying wine and the company you came with.

The wine tasting flight is amazing, featuring a selection of meticulously crafted wines that showcase the unique characteristics of each varietal. From crisp whites to robust reds, every pour is a revelation, expertly crafted to captivate the palate and ignite the senses.

Ice wine amazing! Lady in red excellent and I know little about wine.
Always worth stopping. Feels like real wisconsin with all the barns. Beautiful property and excellent views.

So my wife and I were in Delavan Wisconsin in August this year for our 4-year wedding anniversary and decided to check out the Staller Estate Winery.
Some of our neighborhood friends back home had mentioned it to us and we were very interested so we stopped in to check it out.
It was a beautiful day. Sunny and 80°
We loved it. They gave us a little tour of the grounds. They've got a beautiful store inside the winery to purchase wines that you taste if you do choose.
They have all different types of wines to choose from. White red blush just to name a few. They also have wine flights, wine and chocolate flights, and dessert wine flights.
My wife and I both tried some wine flights
And also ordered a bread, meat, and cheese platter that was out of this world!
Very comfortable and cozy intimate setting.
I highly recommend it to couples! Check this place out! It's a fun little thing to do in the afternoon and reasonably priced as well. Definitely will be hitting the Staller Estate Winery back again next year.
Thank you to the staff. It was incredible!

Beautiful Winery a short distance from I-43 in southern (Richmond) Wisconsin. Nicely laid out, plenty of room inside and out. Greeted as soon as we walked in. Large selection of wines. Tasting is reasonable. The ($20) meat and cheese tray was incredible. We bought for ourselves and others. Will definitely return. Worth the stop / your time. Enjoy!

I really enjoyed this winery. It had great places to sit both inside and outside. They have a great selection of wines, cocktails, and food. The staff was very friendly, and we had an excellent time. Even the drive was pretty.

This is a 3.8 star review. You are not in Napa or Sonoma, but this is a delightful little surprise, charming stop over, romantic date idea, or you name it! We happened to find it driving by and enjoyed a quick bottle while sitting by the wine yard. There were other people doing the same and enjoying some snacks and charcuterie boards. A groomed vineyard is such a beautiful view and relaxing. I can imagine what this place would look like in fall and we will be back to find out. Wines are nice, priced very reasonably. They have a big shop/bar area with all kinds of merchandise and wines. They also make cocktails. Parking is free. There are indoor tables as well as outdoors. Get a bottle and pick your seat!

We did a bachelorette wine tasting here. The whole group loved it! We loved the meat and cheese as well that came with our package. I have a peanut allergy and they were accommodating as well. Was a fun bachelorette stop!

Love their tasting food plate and wine options. Worth the price. Large amount of cheese and bread. The fig jam was superb. Compared to other winery in Wisconsin which either don’t have a tasting menu or provide very little for their tasting menu, Staller is generous with its portions.
The seats outside are limited but if you get one the atmosphere is great for enjoying the wines and food you ordered which they will bring out for you.
Jacob — Google review
We had a great experience. The wine tasted good, the atmosphere was great, the little platter that we ordered. The only downside was the attitude of the lady at the counter, I guess one of the owners given that I was under the impression that it was run by a family. When I told her that they should consider installing a baby changing station in their restrooms, she just looked at me and said "I know" with a tone, completely dismissing what I said or what I had experienced minutes ago trying to change a baby diaper in my car. She could have said, "You're so right, we're so sorry about that, I promise we're working on it," and that statement alone would have made me feel better. Instead, her response made me regret tipping them 15% on what I had ordered, plus the wine that I purchased and got home with me. Lady, a baby changing station in today's world, is a necessity, is not a luxury. Please, do better.
If you're looking for a great hike.
The North Shore portion of the path offers breathtaking views of the lake and incredible homes.

Drove up from Chicago for a little day trip in Lake Geneva. It is a cute seasonal town, but like most seasonal towns, doesn’t have a lot to do in off-season. We mainly came up to walk the lakeshore path. There are quite a few entry points, some with parking and some with parking about 1/2 mile away to access point.
Trail is not accessible for all, it is narrow at most points with uneven ground mainly due to the type of stones or pathway the owners want. It varies from dirt, rocks, flag stone, cement, synthetic wood, etc.
you do need to plan as you can’t simply exit wherever you want.
One major negative to walking this in the off season is that almost all the owners have their docks and boat lifts scattered all along the path. It’s a major major eye sore. Very disappointing. We noticed the north side had them way closer to the trail and many more of them. South side has more space and most were somewhat out of eye sight and way.
They really do interfere with you attempt at a pleasant walk. And during peak season I imagine the trial is packed and that would also make for an annoying walk.

It was a beautiful day. My English bulldog absolutely loves it. Going there I make it his day. I go shopping. He walks until he gets tired and then I put him in his stroller. We have lunch at a restaurant where we can sit outside

Lake Geneva is a beautiful area to walk around. Beach is nice, but busy & they charge a fee for entrance. We went to the free nature preserve, and it was quiet and relaxing.

I love looking at the lake, boats and other people just having a good time with their families & pets. I feel safe there and it's a wonderful place to relax, enjoy nature and good food. Parking can be somewhat difficult but you can park in a side street and walk to park area.

I would recommend the west end of the trail for a comfortable walk. The east trail is more difficult and had some spots so overgrown that we were worried about what we were brushing up against. We turned back on the east trail. The west side is good for a casual walk. The east side is better suited for hikers.

Hiked the full 21/22 miles of shore path in one go on a beautiful day in May- so many amazing properties and gardens and mansions that were jaw-dropping. Honestly, something unique at every turn!
Trails go through private properties and each portion of the trail is kept up by the owners- so even the trail itself is unique from section to section! Loved it.
Total activity time (actual walking) was 8 hours 35 min, we took a break for lunch and a few hours later for coffee and stretched every hour. Started at 9:45 am and finished about 7:45 pm

You could call this walk around the lake an architecture tour. The houses surrounding the lake are huge with some interesting designs. So if you want to ogle some nice houses while being close to nature and stretching your legs this is a nice route to take

We did about 3 miles out and back from the library NW. loved the walk and the diversity of the houses, yards and paths. Crazy big money on this lake and so amazing we can enjoy the path. Nice fall day so not many out. But can only imagine what it is like in summer if they are out there trying to enjoy their backyard. Respect their yards while you appreciate the walk. We are going to do another stint today.

Enjoyable walking path!! Variety in scenery along the way. Each homeowner along the way is responsible for their section of path, so some path areas are much nicer than others. Be prepared to walk all types of terrain.

This is a great path that circles all of Lake Geneva. There are lovely private homes to one side of the path and fabulous lake views on the other side. The trail is not completely flat but we did not encounter any steep inclines on the four miles we covered. However, we have been on this path in both Winter and Spring. We found Winter walking a bit rough. The ground cover changes as you go from grass, to gravel, to stones, to wood, etc... It is a narrow path in some places and it is necessary to step aside at times when people are going in the opposite direction. A local told us that the total path covers about 23 - 26 miles and takes about 8 - 9 hours for her family to cover in it's entirety. We're looking forward to trying it soon.

We love walking down the shore on the path in Lake Geneva. They have an area that is reserved for dogs only for them to enjoy the lake water. We enjoy watching the dogs swim and play fetch. Lots of things to do in Lake Geneva. Great town but it gets crowded on the weekends.
The Henry Vilas Zoo is a great place to visit with kids if you're in Madison, Wisconsin. It has animals from all over the world, plus a variety of gifts and food options for visitors.

So Many Different Animals In Such A Beautiful Layout!! Keep Up The Great Carr And The Great Work Of Running Such A Beautiful Zoo!! I love this little zoo!! It's on the smaller side, but there are plenty of animals to visit. The updates and expansions they've done over the past few years to the enclosures have been great to see. It's a free zoo, but always still plan to bring a donation, because of course taking care of all these beautiful creatures is not free!
melody — Google review
We visited in May before the season started. The zoo wasn't very crowded. Some of the animals were not visible, but it was a nice day for a walk anyway. Depending on the time of year, time of day, feeding schedule, and sleeping times, it's not always possible to see all the animals in most zoos. The Henry Vilas Zoo could perhaps be considered a mid-size zoo, and that is an advantage, making the zoo easy to navigate, and not exhausting to explore. There seem to be plenty of friendly staff assisting visitors and caring for the animals. Visiting the zoo is free, but donations are welcome.
Greg Johnson — Google review
It’s the perfect size zoo. I wish there were more animals but what we did see looked to be enjoying themselves. Grizzlies foraging for bugs. The polar bear was swimming and then rolling in mud. The tiger was taking a nap in the sun. The lions were roaming. The river otter was swimming. I didn’t like seeing that the orangutan was all by itself though. I think some of these animals need company.
The carousel is lovely. The gift shop is extremely expensive now but, inflation. All in all this is a nice zoo and it’s free. Parking is free as well. We had fun.
A — Google review
It is amazing how the zoo has changed over the years. No more giraffes, camels, penguins. But they still have a lot of other critters to see. A bottle of water was $5.26. Yikes. Kids still love the zoo but I suggest a nice picnic before going in.
Barry Dean — Google review
We love coming to this zoo. It's the perfect size for little kids to be able to walk and not get too worn out. It's nice in the winter too, if you bundle up and it's not too cold you can still have a great experience. The lions are often active and roaring. The polar bear is very active and likes to swim. There is a family of 5 otters to see too. We miss being able to go into the monkey and reptile area that has been closed to the public since COVID started. In the summer time the playground is open and is a great place to run around and play.
J Hyttsten — Google review
I was glad to see that they have more animals now, there's more places to eat/snack inside the zoo. Last time we were here(6 yrs) they were doing some construction and they didn't have a lot of animals. We all had a great time. My personal favorite was the tiger. There is no fee to enter the zoo, they just ask for a donation. The parking lot is small so I would recommend going early. You can also park on the street around the park.

Henry Villas Zoo is definitely one of the best zoos in Wisconsin. First of all, it's FREE. Yes, you read that correctly. There's no cover charge. The exhibits are well laid out and there are some pretty unique and amazing creatures here. Our favorites are the orangutan family (and a baby orangutan, she's so adorable!!), Tiger, lions, rhinoceros, giraffe, polar bear, otters, anaconda, and MORE! The park isn't excessively large & is well laid out. There's an amazing kids plaza area (seriously, it's incredible). The store is a must see and definitely purchase some stuff to help them keep up the park and superb animal care.

We always have an absolutely great time at this zoo. There us a wide array of animals, as well as a few buildings with other animals. Wonderful playground and children's zoo. There were lots of baby animals when we went today. Also Joe near the exit at guest services was THE NICEST person ever. My kids loved interacting with him and getting a stamp

Really nice zoo. We went on a weekday and it wasn't too crowded. If recommend going early in order to find parking. The animals seemed well cared for and appeared to have appropriate enrichment and good conditions, as well as places to escape the crowds. I would definitely visit again and enjoyed this zoo significantly more than many of the highly recommended commercialized zoos in the country. The zoo staff were friendly and knowledgeable as well.

If you want to have a nice little walk around a beautiful park with the family and see some animals while doing so this is a great place to go. It's small but quaint with a nice variety of animals and plenty of fun things for your little ones to do. Entrance is free which is another plus. Only issue was parking which is why I gave it a 4 star rating.
Cynthia Melendez — Google review
This Zoo has a surprisingly good selection of animals and exhibits for a free to public zoo. The weather was a little cool that day, but it seemed to have been favorable to most of the animals, too. I wanted to give it 5 stars because for a free zoo (they do take donations), they do a good job overall with the animals and exhibits. The only thing that seemed it could be better was some basic maintenance here and there, especially with cleaning up the glass on some of the exotic animal exhibits. This is a great little getaway for half a day or so with the family or just anyone who appreciates the animals and nature. I'd love to see what they could do with this place should the city pump some money into the zoo. You'd think with all those taxes in the Madison area, they could put some of it to use for the public by investing in public spaces like the zoo. Overall, I definitely recommend this place, and they have some land and picnic tables out by the parking lots as well, so pack a lunch or snacks it's a great little half day or so getaway.
Austin Waddick — Google review
This zoo is just the right size for a day trip. Very manageable to navigate and see a wide variety of animals. The only place it gets crowded is inside the reptiles exhibit. The primates building is probably the highlight especially if you are able to catch the monkeys playing.
I would recommend coming through the back entrance that is on Vilas Park Drive. Much more available parking back there.

large variety of animals, well-kept and clean grounds, free entry, variety of food spots (including a chocolate shoppe ice cream). I have such great memories of coming here when I was a little toddler and it’s nice to see that the quality of this zoo has stayed consistent. I love how close you can see all of the animals, especially the giraffe. We ate at mickies dairy bar then spent the afternoon here. What a great day!

Very nice layout and decent amount of animals that we saw for the zoo's size. Wished the avian flu outbreak wasn't around which quarantined all their birds but we did get a glimpse of the Flamingos.
Recommend for all ages.

My family and I travel quite a bit and have been to many zoo's, with that being said I didn't have high expectations for this zoo - especially since it's free. I was seriously so impressed, it is one of the cleanest zoos I have been to! It's not huge, but it's a perfect size for my kiddos to manage without being exhausted. There's a good variety of animals and all enclosures are well maintained and clean. We had a wonderful time and I would highly recommend it!

Having traveled all over the USA, coming back to Madison has showed me how great this zoo really is. Not only is it free, but it is clean, friendly, and fun for the family. The Tristan Crist Magic Theatre is a small venue that hosts family-friendly magic and illusion shows. In addition to the performances, the theater features a gift shop and lobby. The show itself is captivating and engaging, with Tristan's presentation skills being particularly noteworthy. His assistant Shannon adds to the overall experience with her stunning presence on stage. The theater provides modern and comfortable accommodations for all guests while maintaining professional standards of service from its staff.
Excellent show. Tristan brought several people on to the stage and performed the illusions with their assistance and was available for pictures after with anyone. There are no bad seats but only about 120 seats available. Price was reasonable. My family and I enjoyed it a lot and I am sure you will as well.

I went to see Tristan Crist & Brett Daniels tonight for the first time and I was not let down at all. It was AMAZING! Every trick was so done perfectly and my eyes couldn’t believe what I was seeing. It was so much fun. A plus is that is very interactive and they loved involving the audience in their acts. The snacks were very fairly priced and the bathrooms were very clean. We got to meet the magicians after the show and they were so nice! I highly recommend going to this show, you will not be disappointed! I mean, who else just makes a giant helicopter appear on stage in just a few seconds?? It’s totally worth the $42. Go see this show, you will regret it if you don’t!

Absolutely fantastic show. The crew members were very polite and professional at will call, the waiting area was well maintained, and there were clear instructions on wait times, etc. The show itself was a wonderful experience! There was comedy, illusion, magic, and amazing stage lighting, and sound! The show is a work of art that I would enjoy experiencing again. The clothing style of the performers was visually appealing as well. A well put together show that was worth the time and money. No disappointment whatsoever. We had a great time for the show, we purchased tickets online and was able to pick up 1 hour before the show. They sell drinks and food to bring in. I saw the Tristan Crist show this past weekend. This is the second time I have seen the show as I was in the area a year ago. The show is as good the second time as the first time. He has put in a number of new illusions so the show was fresh and as enjoyable. So if you have seen the show one time I definitely would recommend seeing it a second time. His assistant Shannon is stunning and is an amazing foil for Tristan. The theater is modern and comfortable. The staff is highly professional. I highly recommend.

I like this downtown restaurant. On State St, about a block from the Capitol Square. I loved the dark atmosphere. Cool jazz music playing. Besides not being very loud in there, the booths help make it easy to have a conversation. The rough brick wall also helps to break up any noise.
Our server was very friendly and the timing of her check-ins was good.
First off, I liked the bread. Besides being complementary, each piece was crunchy on one side and warm & buttery on the other. The roasted mushroom crostini was a great way to start the meals. It was crunchy chewy, with the expected sweetness from the cheese and glaze.
My salmon crunchy outside and soft moist inside. The garlic lemon sauce was a great added flavor. The shrimp scampi also tasted great, although a bit too heavy on the garlic. The Bliss Burger was a tasty burger dripping with juicy goodness. The accompanying fries tasted just McDonald's fries, but a little less salty. The meat in the Ziti with Ragu was a nice combo of hearty meat with soft tender tasty ziti.
The waitress passed by with plates of desserts that looked real good, but we were just too full. ....Next time.
Overall, I really liked this upscale city tavern.

Good spot if you're too drunk to care what you eat and your favorite cocktail ingredient is simple syrup. We kept it simple and ordered burgers. His came under cooked and mine came without the $3.50 bacon addition and any toppings whatsoever. Once the bacon came, it was two inches long seared on one side and completely raw on the other. The manager seemed intoxicated, but was nice enough. He offered to comp the burger, which is why I offered three stars. My friends all had similar stories, so I felt the need to write a review.

Stopped in after a show at the Overture Center on a Friday night. We got there just after the kitchen was closed so can't speak to the food. The drinks we ordered were both mediocre for the price. One was flavorless the other was basically just dominated by the shake of spice put on top. We sat at the bar where you'd expect good service in a fairly empty restaurant, but instead I would describe it as subpar. I sat with an empty drink for more than enough time that I might have ordered a second drink that might have redeemed the place, but instead gave up and just got the check. With a location so close to the square and Overture Center this place really seems to miss the opportunity as a late night stop. Definitely better options close by.

While visiting from out of town, I decided to take my wife here for her birthday. Man! This was some of the most delicious, tastiest, visually pleasant food I've had in Madison. The salmon alone is now in my top 3 all-time. The lamb chops were grilled tender to perfection. But the highlight of the night was the mushroom crostini appetizer. We have never tasted a mushroom dish with such unbelievable blends of flavor at any restaurant in life! Take a look at my photos, and you be the judge.

-House Signature Manhattan - always a fan of big rock + presentation
Appetizer:

-Caesar Salad - healthy portion with hint of anchovy
Main:
-Fettuccini ala Scampi: I scouted this item out ahead of time, and was the perfect marriage of lemon, garlic, and butter. Shrimp cooked perfectly.
-Mushroom Ragu: This was another recommendation from our server, Jen. A combination of shiitake, baby bella, and oyster. My wife loves mushrooms so this was an absolute hit.
-Grilled Lamb Chops: We were craving pasta but could not pass up this dish. Super tender bone-in lamb complimented with Green Beans with a garlic butter finish. You cannot go wrong!
Overall, we finished our cocktails at the bar and held a friendly conversation with the staff before we took off. Everything was great, loved the intimate setting. Compliments to Nate, Jen, Kitchen + Bar Staff!

A nice place with good cocktails and very good food. The service could have been a bit better but wasn't bad.
Would go again and recommend for sure.

I LOVE this place! The last restaurant iterations in this space have been truly lacking, so I was very dubious about the new joint. However, my fears were QUICKLY assuaged. This place ROCKS! The burgers and steak are delicious. (I haven't had the pasta, but it looks great too!). And don't miss the cheesecake! It took me several visits to give in, and I was mad at myself for not eating it before! The staff are all really great and friendly and make this place feel very, very welcoming!
Update: I have ordered several pastas, and they are as delicious as I hoped. Every one! Recommend everything from this place!

If i could give more stars, I would. I arrived in a wheelchair. My friend was having trouble pushing me through the door. One of the employees rushed to the door to help me. With her help, the door was easy. They seated us immediately. We ordered drinks and an appetizer, mushroom crustini. The toast had crunch, the topping was creamy, and the mushrooms were plentiful. We ordered dinner; Steak Frites and Shrimp Scampi. The shrimp was cooked perfectly and the fries were amazing! Everything was seasoned to perfection; spice but not overpowering. Delicious! I'll be back soon!

It would only take a blink to miss 107 State, but recommend keeping your eyes open to try this cozy little spot on State Street. Reservations are highly recommended if you want a table (we ended up sitting at the bar).
My wife had tonight's special, Fusilli Brisket (on the regular menu with lamb) which was a delicious and tender combination. I had The Old Fashioned burger which was cooked to perfection and also delicious! I also added the bacon to mine, which calling it bacon is such and statement, it is really a burger sized slab of pork belly (which was amazing! )
The staff was friendly and attentive, and overall a welcoming little spot almost hidden on State.

Discovered this place just walking down the street looking for a place to eat. Signage is horrible but everything else is A++. Great food, cozy atmosphere and fantastic service! Will definitely be going back.
Greg Meyers — Google review
Service was terrible, and it took our server ages between visits to our table. Appetizers were brought out concurrently with entrees—just what everyone wants, to let their food get cold while eating their salad. Spaghetti was mediocre, with way too much cheese, but others at our table did enjoy their entrees, so I’ll bump the food bit of the rating a smidge. The wings were quite good though, even if the sauce left something to be desired. The night ended with a large bill that the server awkwardly danced around trying to figure out who to give it to, which is definitely on us for not asking for separate checks upfront, but as it becomes more the norm to ask how to handle the check in a larger, varied group, it just was a tad disappointing—and this, like everything else, took the server way too long both to bring and take payment. And then there’s the credit card surcharge. I get it, the fees are high from the card processors. But it’s part of doing business. In a world that is increasingly more “touchless”, expecting normal people to just have $300+ in cash is a bit unrealistic, and it’s not safe to let one’s debit card leave their sight. Everything should always be purchased on credit.
The Wisconsin State Capitol is an imposing and elegant Beaux-Arts building that dominates the central skyline of Madison. Completed in 1917, its marble and mahogany-clad interior is full of magnificent murals and mosaics. The dome atop the building is bested by Daniel Chester Frenchs exquisite overlaid bronze statue, Wisconsin.
The Wisconsin State Capitol is simply a stunning building. Everyone that is able should take a half hour to walk through this incredible structure. Photos don't do the majesty justice, and you really need to see it for yourself. I highly recommend a visit if you are in the area or passing nearby.

Today, we had a tour of the Capitol Building in Madison, Wisconsin. The tour was awesome, and the tour guide was awesome! It was very interesting, and I learned so much. Street parking was available, and the tour group was small. I highly recommend a visit to this place.

This building is so beautiful. They offer free guided tours and I definitely recommend going on one. Our guide was able to take us to places we didn't know about, told us all kinds of interesting facts, and was really friendly. I had no idea we could go up to the observation tower, or that there was a small museum up there! So much fun for free!

This is an absolutely gorgeous building, I haven't had a single moment I walked into the Capitol Building and it hasn't felt like the first time. The details are all absolutely perfect and if you're able to pet the nose of the Badger outside the Governor's office, please do! They also offer FREE tours during the weekdays along with being able to go up to the observation deck!

We had a lovely afternoon visiting the Capitol building for one of the free tours! Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and we saw a ton of badgers along the way! The building is magnificent, especially with the Christmas tree and holiday decorations up! The holiday choir was performing as an added plus. Don’t miss the observation deck under the rotunda for even cooler views!

This place is as gorgeous and interesting to explore as it is important to our state. Marble from floor to ceiling, some imported and not without stories! Take the guided tour and they'll tell you all about it! The capital is extremely impressive, every detail is meticulous. It is a state treasure! Coming in at $7.2 million dollars back in the early 1900s. This is a must see if you are visiting Madison, WI.

I love that you can come in and look around for free. I highly recommend going to the top and taking a look outside. There are stairs leading to the very top after you take an elevator to the 4th floor. Public restrooms available inside as well. During the holiday season they have a beautiful tree lit up with children’s ornaments. It’s beautiful. Definitely worth checking out!

The architecture of this state capitol building is nothing short of impressive! The design of both the exterior and interior was stunning, and the view from the observation deck is excellent! The best place inside the capitol building to stand and take pictures is at the very center right underneath the dome. This is a must see when you’re visiting Madison!

What a unique place! I discovered quite a bit of United States history here. And the paintings are beautifully painted. Lots of architecture to take a look at. And plenty of bathrooms on every floor. If you're looking for a place to sit down, there are leather chairs outside the supreme court courtroom on the second floor, in addition to benches outside the Capitol itself

Insanely beautiful building, gorgeous stone throughout. My family decided to go on the free tour. Our tour guide was absolutely wonderful. My husband uses a wheelchair frequently when going out, and this gentlemen let us know where to go to meet and always made sure we were at the right elevator to rejoin the group. He was very very knowledgeable and informative. The observation deck was outstanding as well, definitely recommended going up there

Several times I've wanted to stop here but just didn't have a lot of time. Finally had a chance to take a stroll around the perimeter. It's an interesting capitol building where you're not quite sure where the front is (maybe there is none). There was some renovation going on but nothing too bad. We were able to find street pay parking immediately but one with a very short time limit.

I enjoyed the magnificent views with an amazing architecture. The ceiling, interior design with huge pillars and with vintage ceiling equipment can't make our eyes even to give a blink
The Olbrich Botanical Gardens is located on Madison's scenic waterfront and features a wide variety of themed gardens with plants from all over the world. Highlights include the glass-enclosed Bolz Conservatory and an elaborate Thai pavilion called a sala which is the only one of its kind in the continental United States.
Beautiful Gardens and their Conservatory is also really nice! Loved seeing tropical plants, water ponds and quails! The Gardens are free which is very nice, they do accept donations. The Conservatory is not free, but the ticket entrance is not expensive at all. Parking is also free which is nice. Will definitely be back once everything has bloomed.

This is a great botanical garden - my family has had a membership for years. We love walking around the outside areas when it's warm, and the indoor conservatory it's great in the winter.
Additionally, there are a few times a year when we always stop by:
- in the spring/summer they have a butterfly event where they raise butterflies and release them into the conservatory. You can walk around the area full of butterflies, if you're lucky one may land on you!
- in December they have their holiday express event, where they put together displays and incorporate model trains from enthusiasts in the area. It's always a ton of fun, and they generally have a search and find page for the kids.
This year's holiday express was carnival themed, which was a ton of fun.

Was beautiful. The walk through of the orchids took about 1 hour. Was hot and humid inside because that's the natural habitat for the orchids, so dress in layers that you can remove.
The flowers were awesome! There was also some orange trees, trees, berry trees, cocoa trees and other little surprises. We'll worth the price of admission!
Check out the many photos!

This botanical gardens is the best!! On Saturday mornings from 10am-12pm the garden is FREE! When you enter the dome, be prepared for your jaw to drop! It is amazing! Tropical trees yielding fruit, birds flying around, quail running around, flowers I've never seen before, koi fish pond, a waterfall and so very much more! We were there in winter, but we're told that in May-ish the outdoor garden walk is stunning! This place will not disappoint!! Definitely a must experience when visiting Madison!

Great place to visit on a pleasant day. The outdoor gardens are free and great for a slow stroll through when the weather is nice. The indoor conservatory is worth the $6 as there are unique and rare plants to observe. You can spend as much or as little time here as you please.

Given the time of the year I visited it, there wasn’t much to see outside, but it was still nice and peaceful (I would definitely visit again during spring or summer).
The bright side was the indoor tropical exhibit, where there are different plants and birds. Don’t forget to visit the rooftop! Free parking.

We had a great time listening to music, walking around, and exploring the gardens both inside & out. It was a special fundraiser that was relaxing and fun. The music was just the right, you could hear each other talking, not to loud. There were little pockets to sit in, with just a few others. They also had a cash bar for drinks. All in all, fun, friends, and helping raise money for a worthy cause.

The information desk representative was an exceptional gentleman and very informative/helpful. Great place for family’s and tourists to see a beautiful garden. I was able to get a lot of amazing photos of the plants and they put a lot of love and effort into their establishment. I would say be warned as one of the younger female staff looked tired/bored and seemed to have a tiny bit of an attitude when I asked her a question. Beyond that, some people I had the displeasure of crossing paths with seemed to be bothered with people taking photos, when the website actually encourages you to bring your camera for memorable photos. It seems like some of the visitors here think they are above other people and incredibly snobby. No fault of the staff but would just recommend to watch out for the rude pretentious people that visit this establishment.
If you can ignore people acting a little weird/rude, this place is an absolute gem. Outside garden are free, the conservatory was $6/person. Great value and great memories!

We only had time for a quick visit in January so we spent about 30 minutes in the conservatory and did not get to walk outside. They conservatory was great! It's such a peaceful atmosphere. It's very relaxing to look at plants, hear the birds and waterfalls, and feel the tropical climate. A little smaller than other similar places we've visited, but still enough to see. The birds were a great touch. We got to see a quail poke around and the canaries were quite vocal. You can also see a few koi in the water. Many orchids and bromeliads and other interesting plants with great color.

A scheduled stop on a road trip with my son back in 2022. First, this place was a lot bigger than I had expected! We visited in early June and unfortunately, it was too early for the flowers. There were some but not many in bloom yet. That was a bummer. However, the weather was beautiful and we wanted to see the Thai Pavilion and Conservatory. Well, we got handed our second strike and the Conservatory was booked for a wedding and closed to the public. On a positive note, it saved us the cost of entry because the grounds were free to enter. So, we walked the park grounds and took pics of the few flowers we did see and made our way to the Thai Pavilion. Wow! The pavilion is spectacular! It shines in the sun like a palace! We got some great photos of it. We walked through some of the trails in the park but came to the realization that the flowers just aren't going to bloom for us and decided to go. The park is beautiful and I'm sure the Conservatory is great. I bet July & August are the best times to visit. All the flowers would be in bloom by then. I highly recommend this place!

Is it possible to give more than 5 stars? This place is drop dead gorgeous and the entrance fee is paltry. I came well past the prime season and they still had great things for me to see. I spent 2.5 hours here.
Went on Friday in February👍 Smaller crowd. Took the tour, our guide was very good and personable. Ate at their Bistro, was also very good. A soup and sandwich menu with options for wine and spirits. Also stopped by their distillery for a mixed drink. All in all was a great road trip ☺️

What an absolutely beautiful winery and distillery tucked away in Wisconsin. The facility was much larger than we expected and it was truly gorgeous. Well maintained and picture perfect. The wine tasting was wonderful, even the The tasting bar was a bit too crowded, our server Stacie was amazing and we truly enjoyed our time with her. The wines were superb and I truly enjoyed the variety. We purchased several bottles to go and enjoyed a glass on the upper patio. Staff were very friendly and kind. We walked into the distillery, but did not have time for a drink, but that is on our next visit as we look forward to returning. I highly recommend putting Wollersheim on your bucket lists when visiting Wisconsin.

This place is amazing! The food at the Bistro and the wine are not that expensive either! The parking spot is a little walk to the Bistro and Winery so you would need flats to walk on, specially if you are used to wearing high heels like me. When you order your food at the Bistro, they let you choose where to sit; we chose to sit outside by the "hobbit" house looking cave where they used to store wine back in the old days. If you decide to come here, your experience will be worth it!

I would give 5 stars, except the wine tasting experience was so underwhelming. $10 for four 1oz pours in tiny glasses. You barely have a chance to experience the wine, and the tasting fee is not even comped when you buy something from the shop. It's definitely a better idea to buy a bottle and enjoy it outside. The grounds are beautiful. We had a wonderful experience at the Bistro. We got the pigs in a blanket for the kids, the Roma flatbread (which was more like a pizza), and the Frenchy sandwich. The food was good, and the service was fantastic! My son accidentally dropped the tray when carrying it back to our seat, and the sandwich hit the ground. They remade the sandwich and even brought a cookie! The Distillery was the last stop on our tour. All the drinks on the drink menu looked delicious, and it was really relaxing to grab a drink and sit on the patio. While this is no California wine tasting, the overall experience is very nice, and for those visiting Madison, it's a scenic 30 minute drive.

The winery is beautiful and continues to grow with an ever expanding selection wines and liquors at the distillery. The wine that we were able to taste is still wonderful. The selection of Brandy, Rye, and Absinthe were excellent.
Unfortunately they were not doing tours or showing their video of the history of the winery. My wife and I had been there many times but we brought a friend who had never been there before. After all we told her about the winery she had expected a little more. She did leave a little disappointed.

Very nice winery. Our family enjoyed our visit. There was one rude cashier. She scolded our 14 year old for walking upstairs, even though the sign said it was open to the public. We purchased 2 wine tastings and four bottles of wine. Very pretty flowers and nice grounds to walk and visit.

This visit to the winery was a failure on my behalf. Their hours are from 12:00 to 5:00 daily and we were just running behind on our trip. We did not get to have a tasting because it was 4:45 by the time we got there and the last tasting was at 4:30 however their landscaping and overall atmosphere was spectacular. We are definitely going to come back here another time but this time we will make sure we get here plenty early.

I recently visited Wollersheim Winery & Distillery and was thoroughly impressed. Tucked away in the scenic landscape, the winery exudes rustic charm and tranquility, making it a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of Madison.
The picturesque setting of rolling hills and lush vineyards immediately captivated me. The winery's commitment to maintaining a beautiful and natural environment is evident in every aspect of the property. The spirit room was our first stop, and it did not disappoint. While they offer a selection of spirits including brandy, gin, and rye, the standout for me was the bourbon. It offered a complexity and depth of flavor that was truly remarkable, with intricate notes that lingered delightfully on the palate.
After the spirit tasting, we headed to the terraced patio for a leisurely lunch. The patio offers a breathtaking view of the vineyards, creating a serene backdrop for our meal. The winery's commitment to farm-to-table cuisine was evident in every dish. Fresh, local ingredients were the stars, elevating simple dishes to culinary delights. Each bite was a celebration of the region's produce, perfectly complementing the selection of wines we tasted.
The wine tasting itself was an experience to cherish. The knowledgeable staff guided us through a selection of wines, each with its unique character and story.
Wollersheim Winery & Distillery is not just about the spirits and the food; it's about the experience as a whole. The staff are incredibly welcoming and knowledgeable, eager to share their passion for winemaking and distilling. The grounds are meticulously cared for, inviting guests to stroll and explore.
In addition to the tastings, the winery offers tours, providing an insightful glimpse into the winemaking and distilling process. This added a layer of appreciation for the craftsmanship behind each bottle.
Wollersheim is certainly worth a stop for anyone in the Madison area seeking a serene and sensory retreat. Whether you're a connoisseur of fine spirits and wines or simply looking for a picturesque spot to unwind, this winery offers an exceptional experience.

The service here was excellent! We were there for the Friday night buffet. The baked fish with peppercorn sauce was very good. The haddock had a pretty heavy breading, which made it a bit more greasy than we prefer. The chicken wasn't too bad either. The breading was soft vs. a little crisp or crunchy but had good flavor. Other items that were good were the Yukon gold potatoes, potato pancakes, and mac and cheese.

Thoroughly enjoyed dinner and the play. The food was amazing!! I loved the layout of the Fireside. Cute little shops. Every seat was a great seat in the theater! Highly recommended.

A wonderful way to have a magical evening with friends or family. We went on a Thursday buffet night. Servers were very attentive and efficient giving us enough time to browse in the shops before the show started. The performance was entertaining and ended a perfect evening.

I typically don’t rate 5/5 stars, but this was very well deserved. Beginning with the service, our waitress was friendly, polite, and professional. She was helpful answering questions regarding the menu, and was highly efficient. The pace that the food was served was timed out perfectly, and the portions are well calculated. Tasting the food was on another level… the food was cooked at their respective rates. Posted is the appetizer, tomato soup. It was creamy and flavorful it came out hot, but not burning your mouth hot. The strawberry daiquiri was dangerous as little alcohol was tasted and the strawberry was very heavy. That being mentioned, it was delicious as it wasn’t too icy where I had to wait for it to melt. It was a perfect amount of slushy and hit the spot for an alcoholic drink before a show! The salmon, potatoes, cauliflower, and broccoli, with melted butter in a small side bowl is also pictured. The salmon was flakey, melted right in your mouth, and the seasoning was blissful. Potatoes were cooked just right, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Broccoli was buttery and savory along side with the cauliflower. Lastly, there was the black cherry chocolate cake. It was very most and fluffy. It was a nice light touch after a hardy meal and it definitely was the cherry on top! I’m not a huge fan of cherries, but the sauce did it justice. The temperature of the building was comfortable. The restaurant is a tad chilly, but after you sit for a while it gets warm. The theatre definitely gets warm with all the body heat, but it cooled down in the second half and made it for a pleasant second act. Overall the temperature of the building is comfortable, and I’m one to get cold easily and had no issues. Moving onto the show, it was something like no other. A square theatre, and intimate for actors and the audience to kind of “interact” with each other. It’s always laughter, smiles, light and warm conversations before and after!

I am SO happy with our visit! I got to bring my 6 month old with me and it was our very first time here and I just fell in love with this place! The shops are so adorable, the staff is extremely friendly and our waiter was just absolutely amazing. But the absolute best thing was the scrooge musical. Every single one of those cast members performed from their hearts and you can just tell how much they love to entertain just by how hard they have worked to put on such an amazing show. My little girl was just dancing away with the first song and the very last song, plus she got to wave to “the ghost of christmas past” at the very end and she had the biggest smile on her face. Thank you all so much for a great way to remember my daughter’s very first christmas! The pamphlet is going in her baby book for it being her very first musical. ❤️ Merry Christmas to you all!!!

The Fireside is a fantastic dining and entertainment experience in Wisconsin. I have been there many times over the past 25 years, and every visit was really good. The food stresses a quality over quantity approach, but you will be full by the final course. The theater is a unique experience, with audience seating on all four sides of the stage. There are no bad seats. Likewise, the quality of the performances is consistently excellent. This is a great place to celebrate an anniversary or birthday.
Devil's Lake State Park is a vast recreational area that features a 360-acre lake, sandy beaches, campgrounds, and food stands. Visitors can enjoy scenic hikes around the lake on rocky paths or climb up for breathtaking views of the stunning blue-green waters. The park is also pet-friendly but requires dogs to be leashed at all times. In addition to outdoor activities, visitors can challenge their minds with riddle-solving in escape rooms located nearby.
A beautiful hike around the lake. One can hike low and follow the path through the rocks or you can climb up. We climbed up both sides and it was worth it. Fantastic views, gorgeous blue green water. Turkey vultures soaring overhead with a slight breeze. Had a picnic on a rock ledge over looking the lake. Dog friendly but you need to keep them on a leash

I was delighted to find a last minute tent site, actually there were multiple options on the day off to reserve. I got a late recommendation to explore this park while on a road trip and I fell in love. As a local said on the trails “best place in WI” and from what I was able to experience on my travels, I agree! What a gorgeous park. The campground was quiet and well maintained. Bathrooms were clean. Lake water was warm (mid August). I will be recommending this to anyone I know heading to WI. I am grateful to have been able to explore the trails and camp here.

My wife and I stopped in during our honeymoon for a hike. We also stopped in the gift shop to pick up a map and stickers. The employees were very friendly, the bathrooms were clean, and the hike was just absolutely gorgeous.
It was pretty busy, but during the time we were there, everyone was respectful and in good spirits.

Devil's Lake is the most popular State Park in Wisconsin for good reasons.
Want to circumnavigate a beautiful lake, you've got it. Climbing rocks on the West side, walk a railroad track on the East side, and the North and South side have beaches.
Want to swim? Two beaches, clear water, and motored boats allowed.
Hike on a National Scenic Trail? Part of the Ice Age National Scenic Trail passes through the Park. And the Ice Age Trail has no usage fee.
And make sure to set aside time to make use of the rest of the Park's other activities.
A great park in a great state!

Came here early Saturday morning and we found a great spot under a tree that had great shade. We BBQ and then went for a dip in the lake. The water was super clear that you could see small fish. We made the way to the trail to go up and see the balanced rock. We only made it half way because it is a difficult trail to do with smaller children. Next time I’ll make the trek with just my husband and I because the views are amazing!

Great place to recreate! Highly recommend showing up early. The Balanced Rock trail is a fantastic hike for the adventurous. Wear something with good traction, the rock/boulder terrain is slippery at times when its completely dry. Elevation gain is roughly 400-500ft over half mile. Take the time to stop and enjoy the views!

Devils lake is so beautiful! The trails are amazing! Some are easy some are really difficult the trail maps are marked as to which ones more challenging. The ones up the bluff will make you sweat quite a bit but the view is so worth it! Each trail has a something unique and special to be found along it. It’s so exciting! The photos you can take and the time you can spend at this park is extensive! It would take a whole weekend to experience it all. So if you’re going up for a day pick and choose what you most want to do, because time goes by quick when you’re handling this much fun! By the lake there’s kayak rental, canoe rental, paddle boat rental, swimming, a beautiful gift shop, ice cream, snacks, a bath house. Plus you can’t forget about the fact that they have a campground. That’s the best way to go if you’re gonna go all out is to come here and camp for a whole weekend or longer! I can’t wait to go back!

Very geologically unique state park! We greatly enjoyed hiking up the rock pile hill and walking around the beautiful blue lake. Quite busy on a summer Sunday, but park officials have a good system. Follow the signs for directions. So many things to enjoy here. Neat to see so many people enjoying all of them.

Beautiful park! I would recommend to be there no later that 9:00-10:00am since it gets packed! At least during holidays. It has a north and a south area for parking. I liked more the north area since we were with our dogs, and I found the south more hiking with heights!
Geraldine Campos — Google review
It is possible to hike around the lake in a single day. It took us about 4 hours at a leisurely pace. Highly recommend starting from the south park area and taking the Grotto's Trail to the East Bluff Trail, walk across the North Shore Beach and take the Tumbled Rocks Trail and then back to the south park area. It was well worth the trip from the Chicago suburbs! Also, I recommend the Tumbled Rock Brewery and Kitchen afterwards. It's just north of the north park entrance.
Todd Lohenry — Google review
Such a fun place to go! The beach is very nice, sandy, not a lot of rocks on the beach or in the water close to the shore. They have plenty of activities for a family to do, paddle boats, other rentals. Water is friendly warm and you can go out a good distance in the lake before you are fairly deep. Would definitely recommend if you want a lake experience!

My timing for this trip could not have been more perfect. The fall colors were in all their splendor. This is a short drive from Madison and has beautiful views, walking paths and yes a dog park as well. Worth the effort and highly recommend.

Wisconsin provides a lot of hidden gems that many outsiders wouldn't know of & Devil's Lake State Park is one of them. Devil's Lake is a perfect spot to spend your summer day. You have the options to relax by the water or hike up the mountain that overviews the lake. The trails themselves are well kept & the hike isn't too difficult even for those who are casual hikers. Once you get to the top, there are beautiful panoramic views of the lake in each direction. Devil's Lake is in a remote area so parking & traffic are challenges when visiting so I recommend arriving earlier rather than later. There is a large picnic area to dine which is well kept for the most part. If you're looking for a great way to spend at a park, I highly recommend considering Devil's Lake State Park!

Devil's Lake is a pretty amazing state park to have in the back yard of Madison. That being said I don't think I'd ever want to go there in the middle of peak season or on a weekend. Early April on a Monday was an amazing time to go. The trails were not too crowded and my wife and I easily managed to do a loop around the lake. The views were gorgeous and most of the trails were rather pleasant. That being said the southeast has some vertical rock step trails that are a bit more technical and would make me rather nervous with our small children and potentially our pre-teens (depending on their awareness-levels that day). However, as an adult I really enjoyed it, but am glad my wife and I went when we did, as we got to see everything without having to manage crowded trails. Definitely worth a visit, this gem of a park will not disappoint and offers some great hiking.

A beautiful park, which offers a variety of activities for all ages.
We hiked around the east trail, starting uphills from the east bluffs wood trail. The walk was really pleasant, on a comfortable path. We then passed through the devils hole and balanced rock and went down on the east bluffs trail, which was more challenging, but definitely worth the effort. The views from the mountain peaks were stunning, displaying a wild scenery of the huge rocks, woods and shiny lake. It is highly recommended!

My happy place.... I have been here an average of twice a year every year for over ten years. The lake is beautiful, the hiking is amazing and unique, the campsites are great if you know which to get.
The place is dog friendly but only kind of. There is only one beach that allows dogs and that beach is all rocks so make sure you have some water shoes.
Unfortunately over the years I've noticed more and more people leaving garbage everywhere... what is with this. There are garbage cans and dumpsters... use them! Oh and clean up after your dogs! I like laying on the grass!!

It's a great place to relax and enjoy nature alone or with family, friends & pets. The trails offer breathtaking views. You can bring your kayak, paddleboard, canoe, inflatable boat or other floatation devise and enjoy the crystal clear lake. There are plenty of picnic tables and charcoal grills throughout the picnic area. Get there early to secure a spot and parking because this a popular place and it fills up quickly. It's just a beautiful place.

The scenery of the park is very beautiful. If you go to the park in the morning, it will be better to go up the mountain from the east, because the sun rises from the east, and it will be better to take pictures like this. There are many parking lots in the park, and parking is very convenient, but the downside is that the parking lot is charged, but I didn't see an obvious notice of the fee, and there is no self-service payment machine in the parking lot. When I came down from the mountain, I found a payment slip posted on my car, but the payment cannot be settled immediately, and I need to go to a specific place to pay the fee. This is a very troublesome thing. It is hoped that the managers of the park can improve the charging problem, and it is best to install self-service payment machines in the parking lot.

Love hiking here! Many steps to view Balanced Rock and Devils Doorway from the South beach! You can hike from the North beach to view these but it will take longer! Recommend taking East Bluff trail there and East Bluff Woods trail back from the North beach! Get there early if you don't like crowds! 8am!

10 out of 10! Stopped here during a road trip with my son in 2022. Place was absolutely gorgeous! However, my son and I were not prepared for the climb ahead of us and worse...the climb down! Ok, not trying to spook anyone here! It's not a sheer cliff we were climbing. The trails are very easy to follow and clearly marked. However, we wanted to see the Balancing Rock and Devil's Doorway. Well, that trail is all up hill...literally! Not only is it all uphill but incorporates many, many stairs! The good news is, once you make it to the top, the trail levels out into a nice dirt road. Then, you walk that for a ways and you've made it! Oops, not quite! Now, you must descend the mountain down to the Balancing Rock. My knees were shot by this point but I was determined to make it there. We did and the view was incredible! We took our pictures and on to the Devil's Doorway. Another good distance away and unfortunately, we were running out of time on our schedule and had to turn back. Only way back is the way we came or the treacherous decent down the side of the mountain on make shift stairs created out of the rock shelf itself. The rock shelf was the quickest way down. It took about 35 minutes to the bottom, legs almost gave out dozens of times and we hustled the mile long walk back to the car! I'll say this, its a must for visiting but if you aren't an avid hiker or climber, you WILL be exhausted taking on this mountain! Be sure to pack a jug of water cause you will need it! However, there are other trails that go around the lake that are very easy to venture. A beautiful beach to swim or catch some rays. All kinds of picnic areas. Both public or private. A great big pavilion, if you prefer tables and the indoors. Plenty of bathroom access all over the park and plenty of parking. Keep in mind, this is a state park. So prices are higher if you're out of state. I picked up a WI park pass for the year. So we only had to pay to park. Come to Devil's Lake, its definitely worth it!

Easily my top favorite of Wisconsin State Parks. Love the length of trails and the elevation. Beautiful place with great views. We travel almost 3 hours here just for day trips. With stops to take in the view and getting ice cream at the North Shore in the summer, it takes us about 3-4 hours to complete a loop on various trails.

First time visiting with family! Trails and views were amazing, especially now that it's starting to warm up. Parked in the south lot, took the route up to devils doorway and balanced rock, then headed through the east bluff trail and tumbled rocks (got too tired for the west bluffs). Wish they had signs showing which bathrooms are open and more accessible water in the off-season.

Amazing hike! Fall is the perfect time to visit to see the vibrant colors of the turning leafs. We got really lucky with that, considering we visited second half of October.
The climb was a bit steep, but with a few rest breaks I made it up. Took me about 25-30 minutes.
The view was really beautiful, the skies were gray and the lighting for photos was just right.
The lake itself looked too manicured, that is too say, the edges drawn in a smooth line, which took away a bit from experiencing nature, but still a pleasure to look at.
Lots of big rocks at the top, where you could sit and snack, while looking down on the water.
There were many people when we were climbing up at about 11:30 am, and it got even busier when we were making our way back.
Lots of dogs and all seemed very friendly.

Spent the day at Devil's Lake with my boyfriend and our family yesterday, and it was a wonderful trip. We hiked to the top, and the view was absolutely breathtaking!
The park was very clean and well maintained. The restrooms were also clean. We used the picnic area by the south beach to eat and swim. The water was clean and cool but there were a lot of rocks so you have to be careful when getting in the water because it's a bit rough on your feet. Swim shoes recommended.
1950s-style amusement park with restored classic rides, a wooden coaster & a kiddieland for tots.
A great amusement park with many ride choices for kids of all ages. They have a height and wristband system which makes it easier for kids of all ages to go into their age+height appropriate rides. Also, those wristbands give you unlimited access to the rides. You can easily spend the whole day here.
The park is clean and well-maintained. The staff is very friendly and courteous. We had a great time.
There is ample of open parking on unpaved grounds which is near the entrance of the park. The park was not too crowded (we went on a Sunday).
Go! Have fun!

This is an absolute treasure! An old-fashioned, family-friendly 1950's type amusement park with kids for everyone! From your smallest toddler to grown-ups. Tickets aren't higher than $27, and that includes all rides, mini golf, go carts, and water cars. I have a young adult who uses a wheelchair for mobility. Victor, who worked the wooden coaster, Jason, who worked the tilt a whirl, and the gentleman working the other spin ride were so wonderful to help me get her on and off the rides and made her day wonderful. I think his name was Chris, but I am not 100% sure. I wish some of the rides like the carousel had a ramp to access instead of steps, but we figured it out. They have a reasonably priced cafe with hamburgers, dogs, brats, nachos, etc, along with ice cream treats. They do, however, allow you to bring in our own lunches and snacks. Check times before heading out. The train ride is a must to just sit back and relax and a little journey through the country.

If I could give this 10 stars, I would! We have been to parks all across the country, big and small, and I can say I’ve had as much fun here as any.
They have a collection of seriously rare rides that are all in great condition. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful.
Don’t even get me started on the train. How is this train not winning a Golden Ticket award for the best amusement park train ride every year? 3 mile train ride on a perfect 1/3 scale train!!
As you can tell, I loved this nostalgic place and so happy we stopped.

Loved it. A huge hit of nostalgia if you like old carnival and amusement park rides. The people working the rides reminded me of the old carnivals and small amusement parks I went to when I was young. I would assume that they worked those rides diring the time when these rides were prevalent. They were almost as fun as the rides. It clearly shows that this place is a labor of love for many involved. Highly recommended.

Little Amerricka is an old school amusement park perfect for kids 1 to 100! Bumper cars, Go Karts, roller coasters that are perfect for all ages. Tilt-a-wirl, scrambler, a must DO narrow gauge train ride. Snakes a treats are reasonably priced as well as any souvenirs you may like. And, you only pay to get in if you are riding the rides. Otherwise, free admission. We stayed from noon to 5:00 and had a blast! It was myself, (age 54) and 4 children, ages 7 to 10.

Once I pulled in the Parking area, I was stunned on how vintage this place appeared to be. The parking was free, so that was an instant plus to me. The park might not look large, but my curiosity arose just looking at it.
They had different options to choose from for the Unlimited Ride Pass. I bought the Blue Pass and so did my significant other. It was $21.95 plus 5.5% wisconsin sales tax. At the counter, I was able to get a free park brochure. That made for a nice souvenir.
The first ride of the day for us was Little Dipper. This was a small ride and we had to sit separately on this. It went around the track twice. I’d say this one is better for small children. It was still an enjoyable ride.
We rode the Ferris Wheel. We did get to sit together on this one and it was pretty revealing. It went around fast. I was surprised by that. I didn’t care for this ride.
Whiskey River Railway was a must for me. This Train Ride was a 30 Minute Ride. There was a schedule posted on when the train left. We left at 2:20. We sat together on this as well and there was plenty of seating available. We passed a lot of different scenery, including what seemed to be a river. This ride seemed to take awhile to finish. It was a relaxing break from the other rides. I recommend it!
The Meteor was a wooden ride. We were able to sit next to each other. The speed was fairly fast and took us around the track three laps. I would still say it’s a mild ride. I enjoyed it, but I felt that one lap was sufficient.
The Haunted House was a bust for me. This was a self-guided attraction that has you in a dark setting from start to finish. There weren’t any actors inside. A lot of figures lit up as we went through the house. Be advised that there are tight spaces. It was worth the try just to say that I did it.
The Monorail gave a better view of the park than any other ride in my opinion. We rode next to each other on this one. It didn’t move too fast. Just like Whiskey River Railway, this was a break from other rides. I liked it.
The last ride of the day for us was Test Pilot. I’m glad I chose to do this one last, because I came out feeling nauseous and dizzy. We sat together in the same unit, which didn’t seem too good, because this ride threw me around a bit. First we went frontwards and after the ride was complete, the ride attendant asked if we wanted to go backwards. I didn’t want to miss an experience, so I said yes. The backwards ride definitely finished me off. I came off this ride feeling horrible! I did not like this ride at all.
The Mens Room near Whiskey River Railway was a private restroom. It was clean! The entire park was actually clean.
The employees throughout my visit here were kind and helpful. I didn’t have any issues with the service I was provided.
Overall, this was a budget-friendly amusement park to experience. I wouldn’t say that you could spend the whole day here, but I’d still recommend that anyone who loves rides, should at least check it out.

Honestly pretty disappointing. I was hoping to find a classic local amusement park with retro charm and instead I got a lazy collection of badly maintained rides and rude employees. We came on a weekday with my 4 year old and one year old and had such a fun time. The prices were reasonable for the rides and food. You don’t have to pay for parking. The wristband by height is genius. They let you go on every ride for a decent amount of time so you don’t feel like you waited for a ride that was over in seconds. The lines were never long. Best of all the staff was so nice and friendly. The train ride is great. Very enjoyable day. We will be back.
A decent outlet mall. It's spread out into two different areas. It has a few shoe stores, a true Bath & Body outlet which has awesome deals, a fairly large Old Navy and a cute stationary/gifts store called Lang which is local among many more stores. Only a few vacancies at the time of this review.

Surprisingly I am well pleased with the Johnson Creek Premium Outlet Mall. I do like the outdoor style malls; even if it's cool outside you may want to leave your jacket in the car... because the stores still keep the temperatures very warm and you may get a bit hot and then frustrated you have to carry your coat around while you shop. Some of these stores have better deals than others for their "outlet" prices, just keep looking.
This museum is so unique and just amazing! The owner Bret made for us almost 4 hours tour (because we needed to leave but there is so much more to see and hear) which was super interesting. Bret is truly passionate about the WWII and all the items and treasures he has in his museum and can tell you so many interesting stories about it which makes this museum so unique! Everybody should visit! Bret, thank you very much for such a great experience during my study abroad in Wisconsin!

I went here with my family a few weeks ago and as someone who loves WWII my initial thoughts upon seeing the place where honestly less than enthusiastic but I cannot stress how absolutely wrong my assumption was. The owner Brett is an unbelievably charismatic yet humble guy who’s collection of WWII artifacts is hands down unparalleled to anything in Wisconsin but to leave it at that is only the half of it. For each artifact that Brett has in his immense collection he has an incredible story and background to it that will undoubtedly capture the interest and imagination of even the least interested person, a few will even likely put you on the verge of tearing up (myself included). As someone who’s visited Smithsonian’s museums several times this place looks like a hole in the wall from the outside but the experience that me and my family felt by the time we walked out of this little portage WWII museum was something I have absolutely no doubt any of us will ever forget. As far as I’m concerned this, to me, is was put portage on the map. Brett thank you for your commitment and immense respect to this part of our nations history and to those who were a part of it and also for keeping the stories all of which you retold so wonderfully alive.

Other museums have posters to read. This museum has a knowledgeable curator who shows you the items individually and tells you their history. You feel as if you were there as events happened. Plan on spending hours listening and learning but it seems like just minutes have passed.

An amazing collection of history and an even better guide. I would be hard pressed to find anyone as dedicated and passionate about anything as Bret is about the museum, its exhibits and our veterans. Thank you for all you do, Bret! A must visit for sure!

Quite a GEM in the heart of Portage.
A definite destination. Don't be fooled by the admission suggestion. Worth a lot more.

This is an incredible little museum. If you are in portage I highly recommend it. The stories and artifacts that this small place has are just incredible. It's great that it is free, and so Central to Portage.
the museum is not big, but very pleasant atmosphere and collected cars which I have never seen before. highly recommend

Wow, what a shocker! This place is incredible. Start with a massive Lionel train layout followed by a wild assortment of vintage cars. Go upstairs and find more classics plus Soo Line 1003 steam engine!

It's a nice place to see old cars and learn a little history. It's all self guided so your not rushed through. And it doesn't cost an arm and leg to get in. I'm definitely going back. And for the steam train fans. It's the home of Soo line locomotive 1003.

Operated by volunteers. Very clean place. $10 admission for adults. Sooooo worth it. Come on out and learn some cool stuff! I am not a car fanatic but my boyfriend is... we both left amazed and we were glad we drove 35 minutes for it. Great Father’s Day trip 👀 please enjoy the pictures. There is 2 floors. (There are elevators).

This is not your typical auto museum. 40% is really focuses on two long gone local auto makers and marine engine builders. The other 40%, racing and many collectibles you would expect and some you don't. Then the massive steam powered 10%...complete surprise! Must visit.
Eric Metz — Google review
I'm not a car nut, but I must say I was impressed. I learned a lot about cars made in Wisconsin. Besides cars, the steam locomotive and the Lionel trains were very interesting too. The descents were fantastic as well. They had a lot of information and were willing to spend time with us.

I'm a gear head and a history buff, this place covers all the bases for me.
A now deceased good friend left a couple cars to this museum. I went there before he passed away because I love the place, now it has even more meaning to me.
Conserved 32,000-acre freshwater cattail marsh & wetland area with an education & visitor center.

The Horicon National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center is a great place to start your visit. The visitor center is just one stop along the way to a lifetime of adventures in the Horicon Marsh. The visitor center is located on the south side of the marsh and offers an interactive, educational experience for all ages. The visitor center offers opportunities for visitors to watch and learn about the birds and wildlife that inhabit the marsh and even spot some of the waterfowl that migrate through the marsh each year. Enjoy your visit!

Wonderful experience, first time visit, warm welcome, plenty of parking, easy to find, very clean, 2 large dining rooms with fireplaces, super friendly staff. Easy ordering at counter with table delivery. I had the seasonal Autumn Squash pizza with butternut squash, caramelized onions and more, amazing!! Italian style oven perfectly cooked pizzas and very fast. Our server offered a back stage tour and was very knowledgeable. Locally owned and clearly passionate about making delicious wine, hard to pick a favorite! If your not a wine lover worth the trip for the pizza! We will be back!

This is a must when visiting Wisconsin! I loved every minute I was there. The staff are absolutely amazing, definitely some of the most friendly people I have met. We got to go on a little tour of the winery and meet everyone and the history of how everything started. The wine was absolutely great, such a large selection, with something for everyone! They also make their own sauces and dressings which I highly recommend. The oven brick cooked pizza is simply the best, as fresh as it gets.the atmosphere is beautiful, Will definitely coming back to vist, had a great time!! Definitely the highlight of my trip to Wisconsin!!

Their brick oven pizza is SO GOOD! My favorite was a veggie pizza with mushrooms and corn, it was really unique and delicious. The vineyard makes for beautiful scenery, open spaces and big windows are inviting, and they feature art and eclectic music year round. The atmosphere was collared shirt casual and vibrant, even though it was off the beaten path the dining room was packed, and smiling.

The wine here is good and we recommend doing a tasting because they are all very different. We took our time to find the ones we liked. The woman serving the tastings was friendly, she knew a lot about the winery and answered our questions with patience. It was fortunate we were there when it wasn’t busy.
The pizza here is outstanding. We had the Garlic Twins without meat. The salads were also good - you could tell the dressing was house made.
Overall we were impressed with the winery and would definitely go back!
Waterfront outdoor area with a quaint lighthouse, carousel & mini train ride, plus boat rentals.
Very large park here in Fondy. The Eastside Park has a great dog area. We did litter pick up there and got treated with seeing a ton of beautiful song birds. There are ample amounts of garbage bins around the park for people to dispose of trash. The bathrooms are clean. We were picking up winter garbage. There's an area that provides life vests for kids too. There's a beautiful lighthouse, flowers that are planted, and not to mention the Christmas lights. It's a great park for everyone

Very quiet place to take a walk , enjoy time with family and friends , or even with your dogie like I did !
On day like this , it should be crowded with people who actually live there .
Noticed lots of cars from out of state…
I think the locals don’t appreciate what they have and taking it for granted!

This is a beautiful park on Lake Winnebago with many fun things to do! We enjoyed riding the train, walking on the nice paths, looking at the various boats, and viewing the colorful, well-maintained gardens. We didn’t stay long enough to ride the carousel, visit the petting zoo, rent boats, use the playground, or climb to the top of the 40-foot lighthouse (which is free, and is open from May 1-Oct. 15). Next time we will plan to stay longer!

A gem of a park! Just gorgeous. There is beauty everywhere and plenty to do. There is a train, carousel, and spinny ride that require a ticket to ride. The small petting zoo is free. Kayak and paddle boats are for rent. There is a large playground. You can go up to the top of the lighthouse and have a breathtaking view of Lake Winnebago.

Very nice park to visit in Fond du lac Wisconsin especially in the summer Time. Gorgeous sunsets. Lac winnebago is a shallow lake and pretty windy. It is also worth visiting in the winter time especially around Christmas to see the special holiday light show. A very Park for the residents and visitors. You can park and walk around. Very nice for photography ⚽😀⚽

What an awesome park this is. We went there for the first time about a week ago. It was a little chilly out but we saw a couple deer in their deer park. We will have to go back when it's warm to see the train and petting zoo. Anyone looking for a fun place for all different aged kids on a nice day, this os definitely the place to go. Pack a lunch and make a day of it.

Such a lovely park with lots to do for the entire family. Sadly the lighthouse is closed (been so for months now). Cute petting zoo, mini train, beautiful waterfront lake walking loop area. Furnished with lots of flower beds and pathways. It would be a great venue for a wedding especially at the double gazebo area.

We enjoyed our lunch from Fresh Fit here. Very beautiful and spacious park. Flowers and trees are so gorgeous. This park made me feel peaceful and calm. We saw ducks and some other birds as well as goats and bunnies at the little zoo area. Plenty of parking throughout the park. Has restrooms inside as well as porta potty. Tons of playground equipment for kiddos of all ages. Also has a nice water splash pad. Has a train ride and carousel ride as well ~ these are paid rides. You can also rent a canoe or paddle boat, although the water did look a bit yucky. We saw people fishing as well. Tons of beautiful flowers for those lasting memories and photos. The lighthouse was open too. Lake Winnebago is spectacular with all the boats. I definitely recommend going here!!!!

I'm amazed at how well they keep up with the park! I haven't been to the park in years while visiting family, decided to take a few hours and check it out, and was very impressed. The only thing I would add would be some kind of gift shop and a restaurant that is open all year. The grounds were kept in impeccable condition and the Lighthouse was wonderful as last ti.e I saw it.

A nice park. Several play structures, a kids zip-line, swings and the like. We went on a weekday in the afternoon and found the park mostly empty. There are lots of trees for shade and benches for when you can't chase your little one any more.
They have a couple rides for which you can purchase tickets. These are older pieces of equipment that appear to be well maintained. Their kiddie train is pretty cool. So many trains have replaced the engine with a garden tractor. This one has the original engine (although it's now using a gas engine). If you enjoy larger scale models, pay attention to the wheel assemblies. They look pretty accurate.
Overall, a nice place to let kids run and have fun

The rain could not keep us from Art on the Island 😃 Turns out, it really wasn't raining that much and I was very glad we decided to go.
Lakeside Park is most definitely a park you cannot describe the beauty to someone. It has so many little places you are just left saying, "Wow! This is just incredible!". Being there on a day with zero wind makes for great reflective photos of the foliage and sky.
You can lose yourself in the ginormous (it's a word 😆) trees and water surrounding everything. What wonderful place to cleanse your thoughts in as you walk all the bridges.
It is another great Wisconsin city park to take celebratory pictures in whatever the occasion.
I'm definitely going back again this summer. If you've never been here, you should put this on your list of parks to visit this summer. If you have younger children the play areas will be a joy to them and my teenager loves the view of the lake and all the bridges.
Kudos to the city of Fond du Lac and the people who maintain the park 👍.

The EAA Aviation Museum is a fascinating museum that showcases a wide range of historic airplanes and offers hands-on exhibits for children to enjoy. Visitors can learn about the evolution of flight, from its origins with the Wright Brothers to modern space travel. The collection includes personal homebuilt aircraft as well as commercial planes. During summertime, visitors can take advantage of trolley tours that explore outdoor hangars where they can see even more planes up close.
Great place to learn and see all types of planes. The children's spot is cool for everyone and you can sit in a jet! If you live in the area and haven't gone, I suggest a trip. In the summer it's better because they open the outside hangers and you can take a trolley and see even more planes.

Self guided tours with staff walking around to answer questions. Friendly staff, nice gift shop area. Even if you don't have kids, go to the kid zone and go up to the 3rd floor Control Tower. Have your picture taken with you in the Raptor (Maverick not included 😄). Really a cool place for kids and adults. Plan to spend minimum 3 hours if you enjoy reading about the planes. The only negative was many of the hands on activities were out of order (most of them, actually). Great museum...Highly recommend!

It was a cool place. Well it was a cool place for my husband who loves aviation. Some of the exhibits in the kids discovery area were out of order so it was somewhat disappointing but overall pretty cool. They need to upkeep the place better.

This museum is a must see for anyone who likes airplanes or history! It shattered our expectations in the best way. We had heard it was big and interesting. Wow, it was huge! There are so many planes of all shapes and sizes. We loved reading the history of how things evolved in aviation. We spent way longer than expected just taking it all in. We enjoyed that the displays were dynamic, planes at crazy angles, displays that moved or were interactive. It was a hit with both young and old. The areas showed different aspects of aviation history, from the Wright Brothers, through wars, and into space. Highly recommend it!
We went on a Saturday morning and they were not busy. A few families but we didn't have to cross paths there was so much to see. I can't wait to go back!

I love this museum! There is a collection of airplanes here that will excite and satisfy anyone curious about the origins of flight and personal homebuilt aircraft. They have exhibits that cover everything from the Wright Brothers up to modern space flight. Very cool and worthwhile if you're in the Oshkosh area.

One of our stops in 2022 when touring Wisconsin on a father son road trip! The city of Oshkosh is well known for its amazing Air Shows but the museum is just as good! My son and I were here for hours taking in everything it had to offer! There is so much to see and do, it felt like it never ended! No matter your age, from 9 to 92, you will find plenty to do and see! They have a top notch kids play area! Interactive displays! Flying simulators! Live science stations! Film presentations! A vast miniature model display! Planes and heirlooms dated throughout history! And so much more!!! The facility is very clean, nice and cool and very easily handicap accessible. A family could easily spend the afternoon here and go home with smiles and dreams of flight! I know I did! I wanted to get my pilots license right then and there! You would be missing out on an absolute treasure by not coming here! Highly recommend!!! 10 stars!

Ok so I went during the EAA Oshkosh Air Show so they let me in for free because I was wearing the wrist band. Even if you had to pay, it is still good value.
There is a room dedicated to early flight including a replica Wright Brothers 1903 Flyer and Charles Lindberg's Spirit of St Louis. There is a racing/air stunt room which was great, too, a record setting section with a replica of the Voyager aircraft plus a library and a kids room.
It was crowded, although that was due to the airshow.
The restrooms were clean and the staff were friendly. They had a gift shop with great caramel fudge!
James Flynn — Google review
Great museum, the displays are well spaced with seating areas throughout. The displays themselves are well thought out, and the majority of them are focused on the evolution of aviation and the record-breaking aircraft that have been used to do it. There are also exhibits for space and military programs as they also helped shape the history of aviation. You can tell that the museum and its members care about the history of aviation.
JD Zakerski — Google review
Very fun! It's definitely worth going to. It shows how men and women were able to fly these airplanes and even gives you simulators for kids or even adults to have fun in!

Great museum with knowledgeable docents. The history and variety contained in this museum is impressive. Aviation is not a hobby or interest of mine but I really appreciated the museum and would visit again. We got a lovely guided tour and learned about the Wright brothers, to military planes, to planes that have been into orbit. The gift shop was nice as well. This is a well maintained museum that is captivating for all ages including lots of historical details on the placards and interactive demonstrations for kids.

Went with my husband and enjoyed looking at everything. I took massive pictures but there's too much to look at to take that many pictures. Place is massive and has two stories. I enjoyed the interactive displays and looking at all of the lego builds of airplanes. We looked at military planes and novice prototypes.
I don't recommend high heels or flip flops unless you have strong feet because there is a lot of walking involved and every direction you can look, there is something to see.
Heather Holden — Google review
Very cool museum with tons to look at. My kids especially enjoyed the space area where you could hold an asteroid and touch the moon. Lots of great planes to look at and some fun exhibits too with lots of video to watch. Place was pretty much empty but could be just that it was New Years eve (shocked they were even open).
Taking off a star though as most of the kids exhibits were broken or out of service - Hot Air Balloon was offline, one of the robot hands lifted but didn't grab and the other grabbed but did not lift, the RC flier exhibit was out of service, the flying simulator joystick was broken. But of course if you don't have kids this is pretty much a non-issue.

I'm rating this not because I visited the amazing EAA Aviation Museum, but because I attended the Oshkosh Celebration of Lights held on EAA grounds, and Google automatically tagged this location. The museum is always 5 stars, but the holiday drive thru was spectacular! Pics from 12-16-23

The Paine Art Center and Gardens is a stunning estate designed in the historic English-country style. It features breathtaking display gardens and a rotating gallery with various art exhibits. However, some visitors have noted that the upkeep of the grounds could be improved to ensure that all pathways are well-lit for safety purposes. Despite this, it is an idyllic location that provides a sense of tranquility and joy, perfect for relaxation or spending time with loved ones.
We recently had our wedding ceremony at The Paine in the conservatory and it was absolutely beautiful! We had the pleasure of primarily working with Laura as well as multiple interns along the way and every single one one of them were prompt, polite, professional, accommodating, and friendly. The Paine is nothing but breathtaking, and I am so thankful that they have such a great team to coordinate with. They were organized and communicative throughout the entire process which made planning the ceremony so easy – they truly have everything down to a T! The day of the wedding went seamlessly thanks to their talented team…they showed up very prepared and had thought of literally everything to make the day easiest on us as the bride and groom. It was truly a great experience and completely exceeded expectations. (PC: Something Unique Film)

It was a lot of fun! This Christmas theme was The Nut Cracker. You could read a page about the story in which you were looking at.
Another fun thing to do is find the little mice that were set up in some of the rooms!

One of my favorite places on earth! I've been attending races here for as long as I can remember and this facility has been constantly improving! I have yet to meet someone that has not fallen in love with RA after attending a race. If you haven't been to Road America yet, you are missing out on one of the most beautiful race tracks in the world. They don't call it "The National Park of Speed" for nothing!

What more can be said about this iconic legend of a place for sports car racing? OK, here it goes....... Paddock area is decent sized for rig maneuvering and has limited capacity shore power. Garages are minimal but adequate. Toilet facilities are all well kept and clean. Views are available from a variety of undulating hill sides. Track surface is in good shape providing an environment for safe competitive racing. Track layout is obviously a classic and continues to challenge the best drivers with the best equipment. Food options are available on site depending on the event and the day.

I've been to a lot of race tracks but this will always be my favorite 🖤 not only is the track amazing but the whole venue is great! Spectators can watch from basically anywhere, the only down side might be for people who don't walk or get around well, but they do have golf cart rentals. On non big event weekends you can just drive to most corners to watch but on big event weekends you can not. The food stands and paddock shop are also great!

This place is so awesome! I love that most of the viewing is done from INSIDE the track, not around the perimeter. You can get very close to the cars when they are not in action, and there is an abundance of vendors with attractive wares.

Love Road America. This was our second year driving up from Indy to go to the INDYCAR race and will definitely not be our last. The track is amazing and I love how you can see so many different angles on the racing with just a short bike ride. We did upgrade to electric bikes this year which made it way easier to get around as there is a lot of elevation change inside the track. If you’re looking for the best road course in America this is the place!

We attended the special Ferrari Fireworks show. IT. WAS. AMAZING!!!! I have never seen such a great display of fireworks in my 71 years of life. The area we were seated was perfect. They also had a trailer restroom set up. It was clean and almost better than ones found in buildings. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Every corner of the track is walkable or accessible by wheelchair, though most drive or ride scooters. Facilities and bleachers are plentiful and the staff are patient. The track and surrounding parklands are well worth the journey.

Wonderful time. 1st time at a race here. Plenty of sun but also plenty of shade to sit and enjoy the races! Great time driving around the track to different vantage points to see the races. Very kind and helpful staff on site to answer your questions. I'm looking forward to camping and bringing more family to RA in the near future. Already making plans and excited to share a new family destination location.

I've been to many racetracks but this was my first road course. I came for the Xfinity race but liked that other cars were racing before the main event. I like that you can sit anywhere along the course. The concessions are very good. I'll definitely come back.

Road racing at its finest. I recently stated in a post that Road America might be my 1st love. I grew up watching races here. Pulling in this weekend to watch my daughter race at the karting track had me very nostalgic. This facility is top-notch. It's not all about racing, though. They have cruises around the rack, runs on the track, tons of trails, and the list seems endless. Highly highly recommend. If you aren't into racing, still take a drive through. I bet you'll find a nook or cranny that you fall in love with.

Hearthstone Historic House Museum is a 19th-century residence that used to be powered by hydroelectricity. Visitors can enjoy guided tours and exhibits at the museum after ringing the bell and paying $10 per person. The tour lasts around two hours and includes a guide who takes visitors through each room, showcasing beautiful woodwork throughout the house. At the end of the tour, visitors are allowed to roam in the basement for some hands-on activities.
We had an amazing time at the murder mystery event! The staff was excellent! The participants played their parts beautifully! Heavy
horsd'oeuvrs and wine, soft drinks included. Was a great evening! Well done!!

6 stars, amazing historical house. The tour guide was very knowledgeable about the home. According to her, the first place in the world to have electric lighting. All the Christmas decorations still up. A wonderful experience

You have to ring the bell and someone will let you in. $10 ea person. You are given a tour guide who takes you thru each room. Lasts about 2 hrs, at the end you are allowed to roam in the basement to check out some hands on activities. Was disappointed the third floor and servants stair ways were closed off to the public, but still worth your time if you love history and what beautiful woodwork throughout the house.

This is a gem of a museum. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed seeing the historic architecture and learning about the history of this home. The docins were super knowledgeable and the basement area was a blast to explore. The original woodwork and furnishings are incredible. It was our first visit, but apparently they are constantly changing the theme and hosting special tours so we can't wait to go back and learn more!

My husband and I stopped in for a tour and WOW - this surpassed all of my expectations. I love history, especially old buildings and homes, and this was one of the coolest things I’ve seen. The gentleman who gave us the guide, George, was incredible. He is so knowledgeable and passionate about this home and all the history connected to it. I learned more in this one hour tour than I ever could have expected. George made me feel genuine excitement moving from room to room in that home. I plan to go back around the holidays to experience the old-time Christmas feel surrounded by the decorations enveloping that historical home. Truly makes you feel like you’ve gone back to a place frozen in time. Take this tour and support this museum! Thank you especially to George for the truly impressive tour!

Definitely recommend during the holiday season. The decorations were beautiful. This year's theme, The 12 Days of Christmas, was fun because we tried to spot all the items from the song that were in each room. It was clear the museum staff was passionate about the home's history.
Be aware that this is not a place for young children, and is not handicap accessible.

Loved the visit to the Hearthstone museum, worth every minute I spent there! The decorations - Victorian style Christmas - amazing and I want to point out all the volunteers, who helped to make the experience even better. Would like to visit again - for a tour of the house during non Christmas time!
P.S. I just thought I would add the photo of a doll that was in front of the Christmas tree downstairs)))

Super detailed, fascinating tour.
Absolutely beautiful museum. Still in the process of being restored, so don't be shy about letting them keep the change after you pay the $8 entry fee.
Staff is all volunteer, and their live and respect for history is glowingly obvious. At least 1 of the volunteers is from one of the families who owned and lived in the house.
The community's appreciation for the foundation's work to save the house is also evident; almost none if the furnishings are original to the house. All of the incredibly valuable filler pieces were either donated or sold to them at below cost.
Truly a magnificent way to spend a few hours!

Beautiful home with fantastic craftsmanship. We spent about an hour on the tour with one of the sons that used to live there.
It's awesome that a home in Wisconsin was the first to be powered by electricity, have central heat, and indoor plumbing in the entire country.
Worth a visit to learn a little history (like why people say "turn" on the lights), and see some really great architecture.
We recommend it!
The Fox Cities Performing Arts Center is a grand venue that attracts renowned national music acts, Broadway shows, and other high-profile entertainment. This theater has hosted some incredible Broadway performances with excellent views from every seat in the house. Backstage access for student performances or classes is available with helpful staff members always ready to assist. The center serves as a valuable asset to the local community. Patrons enjoy speedy drink service at affordable prices compared to other concert venues for an unforgettable experience.
Loved it! Easy parking right across the street, great seats no matter where you sit, workers were friendly & helpful, line for drinks & bathroom at intermission moved quickly, prices reasonable. Had a great time. Can't wait to come back!

Went to see the original rock band Chicago concert and guys gave an outstanding show. It was Fantastic! But the acoustics in The Fox Cities Performing Arts Center were absolutely horrible. We were in the Dress Balcony and had great seats but like I said, the acoustics were so bad that I will NOT go to another concert at the PAC.

We had a great time at Cats. Wonderfully done. Such extensive stage production. The actors were talented but it is clear that stage management is just as talented. I really enjoyed our view from the second level balcony. We ordered drinks through the app to be ready for pick up at intermission. That worked out really well.

It was a wonderful experience! Easy to park with a ramp located right next to the center and clear and concise instructions from the event itself, we spend the evening with the wonderful Cary Elwes who after watching the entirely of the film The Princess Bride, regaled us with stories of its making showing just how much it was a passion project! The facilities were clean and well looked after, the art deco styling of the theater itself was immaculate and the view was incredible even from the very top row, all in all I would love to take another trip and see another event at the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center!

Event itself that we went to was great. However, the facility itself was a little under prepared clearly. They opened doors late and had multiple problems with their projector. The CEO also injected herself into performance, which was a bit disappointing as she was not a very good interviewer during the QA section. Despite all that the staff was helpful and it is a nice place overall. l

Beautiful place, very well organized admission, drop off & parking process, friendly ushers, very clean and upscale prices. We went to see "Clue" . Unfortunately, we and those around us had trouble hearing at times and understanding the conversations. We sat in the Orchestra rows under the balcony. It was quite disappointing, especially considering the price of the tickets. In comparison, we had recently seen "Anastasia" at Appleton North and had no trouble hearing clearly. Their sound system was phenomenal. Their performance was also phenomenal.

Pros.. beautiful facility, good production. Saw Les Miserables. A little tough understanding the lyrics, but a great job on everything in general.
Cons...... You have to pay 10 to $20 for parking unless you want to walk a half a mile. They don't have enough bartenders to get you a drink quickly enough. The second you get your drink, they announce it's time to go back in. But for next to $3 they will sell you a sippy cups so you can bring your a drink in the theater. What a racket!

First time at this venue, & the Killer Queen Experience was an incredibly amazing show!
Only negative was the endlessly long rows of seating (we were directly in the middle, front row, 1st balcony section). It was a long way to inch through the multitude of people seated to get to our spots. Once there, we didn't dare try to get out, so we were stuck for the duration, unable to leave for a drink or bathroom break. Very clastrophobic feeling. Never again, would I purchase tickets in similar seats. A break in the middle area for access out would make show-goers much safer & more comfortable.

I like this theatre. I've seen Wicked, Ain't Too Proud to Beg, and Tina Turner the Musical there. The concession stand prices are reasonable in comparison to some other places I've been to.
You do need to buy a $3 plastic lidded cup if you want a beverage while watching the performance. However, you can bring it back for future performances and not have to pay the $3 again.

Note to self - the nosebleed seats are not for anyone that might need to have any leg space for over 2 hours. If a bathroom is what you need, there isn't one on the 4th floor. It will save you the hassle of looking for half the intermission. The refill discount drink service you can opt in for is them preparing the drink before intermission and leaving it out on a table without an attendant expecting you to know that it's there. This will save you the other half of intermission not waiting in line to pick up the refill.
Maybe knowing what to expect can help your first experience here. The show was great easy in and out at the door and the parking garage was not too much of a nightmare. They also offer valet for $20.

Amazing theater. They have high quality productions there and the prices are sort of steep, but you tend to get what you pay for and not much different than going to a Packer game in terms of cost and entertainment value.

Tipping culture has really gotten out of hand. They literally have a tip jar next to a Folgers machine. Who in the hell are you tipping? The machine? One of the poker dealers stole a dollar for me as well because he said I have to tip. it wasn’t that big of a pot so I didn’t tip.
Every single one of their ticket kiosks does not pay out coins because they want you to pay it in tip jars

Stayed here before going to a Packer game. Room was just fine. We ate at breakfast at one of the restaurants and the Sunday morning buffet was pretty good. Not a huge selection, but it was fresh and updated. Check in and check out process were seamless.
The location was super convenient for a quick trip to Lambeau Field early on game day!

We ate the restaurant here. The service was great, very friendly and professional. The atmosphere was also pretty good. The food however was very sub par and expensive. Two people in our group ordered mac and cheese ($19). They both tasted very different from each other and were hard to finish. My burger was just OK, nothing special for the price. Fries were a $4 up charge so I opted for the included chips. They were bland and not seasoned. All in all a very forgettable experience. Two burgers and two mac and cheese, $85 before added tip.

Worst casino in all of Wisconsin! Lowest payouts (check annual stats), terrible customer service, not exciting or overly clean, and all slots are expensive af. I only gave an extra star because the bingo hall is slightly better, and the bingo games are fun… skip the main location.

Always professional staff, clean and comfortable inside. Great food. Tons of options for slots and tables. The Mason Street location is good for a quick stop but if you're planning on spending a few hours definitely go on over to the Airport/main hotel casino. I've been here too many times to count and as is normal with frequent casino trips, the house is up but I have fun every time and occasionally win a fair amount. In my opinion they pay out more than other Wisconsin casinos, which makes it more fun and that's why I say if you're going to go to a casino in Wisconsin, Oneida is the only option.

It is a decent casino, better and cleaner than another casino I've been to in a different state. I do feel their website is a bit lacking in explaining how the casino works. You walk through the doors then what? I'm not the sort to spend much time in such a place. If you know what you're doing then it is not problem but if it is your 1st time.. learning curve.

This is a pretty good size casino for the area and it offers quite a bit. The main attraction are the slot machines, table games and food areas. They are always cycling new slot machines, so you're bound to find soemthing you like. This casino also offers quite a bit of food places inside as well as a restaurant. All the food places are surprisingly affordable and pretty tasty.

It's ok, not many workers go out of their way to be friendly, and I have been going there for years. I have not won a jackpot in about 10 yrs. That's crazy! Slots are kind of tight. When you win and want to keep playing for a while, the machines stop paying and take it back. You're there to have fun not to win and have fun and keep playing for a while, not have your money taken back right away.

Clean and comfortable casino, friendly service and good drink prices. There is no reason to go to Vegas! I visited Green Bay from California last week. I go to Vegas and pay sky-high prices for food and drink on the strip. Oneida served mixed drinks and wine at a fraction of the price. Plus I love the complementary soda and coffee. The casino is clean and has a nice selection of older and newer slot machines. There are also plenty of card tables. There are employees everywhere and they are generally friendly and helpful. Plus they have a nice little sports book which I don't see often in California. This place was packed on the weekend and for good reason. I can't wait to get back to Green Bay and return to this casino.

OK so I don't live in Wisconsin anymore. But I went with a friend of mine to this place. And they revamped the area. It is very warm and welcoming. And I stopped going while I was living there. Because they just took my money. But this time I went and I won and was able to walk away with a little bit in my pocket so we had a great time. And the place looks fantastic now. So the next time I go to Wisconsin. I will definitely be back.

Lambeau Field is a legendary stadium home to the iconic Green Bay Packers. It features a fan shop, hall of fame, and restaurants that are open year-round. The stadium is consistently ranked as one of the best fan experiences in the NFL, and is always packed on game day.
I am absolutely crazy about Lambeau Field. I've been to 3 Packers game, and every single time it's an amazing experience. Me and the family drove from NY to Wisconsin, and it was worth the 15 plus hour drive. There are no fans like Packers fans. The energy and the overall experience is like no other feeling, and I've been to a Super Bowl and that wasn't even as amazing as being in Lambeau watching the Packers play. It's clean, the parking is good, the tailgating is so much fun, and the overall energy is one of a kind. I cannot wait to come back again.

Sadly GB lost… but it was still just a spectacular experience.

Great overall experience. The area is built up around the stadium so there is plenty to do before the game. In the winter they had a tubing hill and ice skating rink. Plenty of food and bar options. I'm a Bears fan, but have to admit Lambeau Field is awesome. Love they kept it original and added in stages no altering the old. Sat in row 13 on Packers side, very cool to see players close up. Also, people working there and the fans are super nice. Certainly nicer than Soldier Field, and I know I won't get jumped parking in the streets of Green Bay. It was finally time for us to go on the Legendary Lambeau tour, and we couldn’t have been more excited! Lambeau Field is an iconic destination in itself–even when there’s not a game going on! People come from all over the world to see this amazing stadium and learn about Packer history. The tour is over two hours long and a mile and a half of walking–and in our opinion, it is worth every minute and step! Our tour guides Pat and Rick were great and took us all over the stadium. You get to see some luxury suites, go up to the rooftop, sit in the end zone club seats, visit the press box, enter the visiting team’s locker room, and run through the players tunnel onto the side lines. It was so impressive and really incredible to see all the angles and seats we might never be able to experience on game day. And don’t get me wrong, there is no such thing as a bad seat at Lambeau…we just learned that some are way more luxurious than others! I highly recommend this tour; add it to your bucket list!

Crazy cool place. I'm from Michigan but have visited twice. Most recently, I had the opportunity to go on a tour of the Atrium and learn about all the history of the Packers, see the suites above the field, and even walk out through the tunnel that the players come out of. The tour guide did a phenomenal job! My favorite fun fact that I learned was that this field is the last to have all aluminum seats. This is because they are all sold out to seat holders, and have been since 1960; If they made the seats more comfortable, they'd lose about 10,000 of them, and 10,000 people would lose their bought out seats. Very fun!

The atrium section does have a restaurant and concessions as well as yhe pro shop.

Incredible stadium and always a great time. Such a historic team and facility. Highly recommend taking the tour and seeing the Hall of Fame. No matter where you're seated you get a great view. Parking is expensive in the stadium lot for game day so you either park a mile away or you pay to park on someone's lawn. If you're coming on a game day, plan on getting at least an hour and half early due to traffic.

Where do I start?
This was my first time at Lambeau and it was everything I expected.. Had a great time from taking a night tour to seeing the Packers live in action against the Saints week 3.. I’ve seen the Packers play 4 times on the road in different cities and they’ve lost each time, so I said I think I have to visit Lambeau to see them get a win and I did just that.. Couldn’t have ask for a better game to see in the Jordan Love era..#GOPACKGO 🧀

2023 Week 15 Packers vs. Buccaneers. This was my first live NFL game! Lambeau and the people of Green Bay made this experience one to remember. I came for the history of the stadium and I was in awe the whole time I was in that building for the tour, and on Game Day. The tailgate party outside was amazing. The people of Green Bay may bleed green and gold. Yet they are the friendliest, and most welcoming, bunch of people that I have ever met. Even if I did come to cheer for the other team. Where else can you say that you’ve met/talked/drank with an owner of the home team? I will definitely be back.

This was a nice outing we had to Lambeau Field. I was hoping it wouldn't be too cold for me, but I went prepared and snugged. We drove from Racine, WI, about 2 hours. Since I was with my husband, the ride went by super quick. They have the championship rings with the dates on them, and you can stand in the middle of the ring for a perfect photo, which we took plenty of them of this place to add to our vacation memories. We also got a cheese head hat for my sister-in-law. There was an ice skating arena, which was busy but not crowded, and they had a restroom for guest nearby the I've arena. There were other things around which I didn't take photos of, but if you are looking to go visit this place, do look up information on it so you won't miss out.

I went on the stadium tour while they were re-seeding the grass. I also went through the Hall of Fame, and looked through the pro shop. After, me and my family ate in 1919 where I got buffalo wings which were pretty dang good. If you're bored and on vacation in Green Bay, I would recommend checking out Lambeau Field.

Lambeau had been on the top of my bucket list of NFL stadiums. I was there once in the off-season, and I got to see the Packers play (and win, duh) in Philadelphia. But I wanted the Lambeau experience. I finally got it when tickets were cheap in the beginning of the '22 season for week' 18. I grabbed them. It ended up being the game vs. Detroit which was the "win & in" game. Tickets ended up skyrocketing, and luckily I had an extra one to sell! The Packers unfortunately did lose that game, but I got to see Aaron Rodgers' final game in Green & Gold!
The Lambeau experience did not disappoint! After a nice in-car "tailgate" of a schnitzel sammich and fries, it was time to bundle up well for the Green Bay December night. It was FREEZING, though it was probably only in the mid 20s. The energy in the stadium was something I'd never seen before as the fans were lively the entire game!
I definitely want to come back!

A dream of an experience. The tour was super informative and well done. You get to go all over!! The Hall of Fame tour is exceptional and you really need to dedicate time to go through it all. Every single part of this place is a treasure. The pro shop is very reasonable, the food was top shelf, the sweet Brandy old fashioned was delightful. Get the pretzel wrapped brat! Thank you to everyone who made my first trip to Lambeau better than my wildest dreams. I can't wait to go back.

This was my first time at Lambeau, and I LOVED the experience. We parked in a yard down the street, and it was about a 5 minute walk to our gate. We were there for the Packer/Bear game, and everyone we met from both sides was fun. Loved the history and can't wait to go back.

My son and I had a truly amazing trip from Florida to see the Packers play and to tour the stadium. Everyone is so kind and helpful the stadium, in the restaurant, at the store, and especially at the Hall of Fame. We had so much fun that we’ll definitely be back!!

Well worth the 37.00 for tour. I highly recommend it. Very informative even if not a packers fan. (Which I'm not) (fins up). They were very accommodating and knowledgeable. The history behind the stadium is pretty cool also.
The Botanical Garden located in Green Bay, Wisconsin spans 47 acres of lush greenery and displays many different types of plants indigenous to the northeast United States. The gardens are divided into different zones, including a seasonal garden, woodland area, aromatic rose gardens, and a New American Perennial Garden. Throughout the year there are special events that take place in line with the different holiday seasons.
Beautiful gardens. Smaller than some botanical gardens but still worth it. So happy I got to see the washed ashore exhibit whole it was there. Fun in every season

The Green Bay Botanical Garden is a lush oasis in an otherwise industrial city. The sizable grounds feature a massive variety of flowers, trees, and other foliage. There are enough plant lined walking trails to get some decent exercise. There is a visitor center with restrooms and a lovely gift shop where admission is collected. The fee for adults was $12.00 on the Sunday we visited. Many quaint and other impressive structures are scattered throughout the park. There is a massive amphitheater too. Currently, a splash pad and kiddie pool are under construction. The place is a must see for garden and nature lovers. It's a wonderful way to usher in the seasons as well. I have two left thumbs (neither one is green), but I definitely enjoyed it enough to go again.

Beautiful place by yourself or with family! Plan to stay longer than you think you might so pack snacks if you bring littles. Otherwise the gift shop carries some snacks and juice boxes. The honest brand ones with low sugar! We would go every weekend and never be bored with the immense grounds and great new area for kids and toddlers.
Definitely worth getting a membership if you live locally.

I absolutely love the Botanical Garden! As a photographer, it's one of my favorite places to shoot. I have visited the garden to shoot wedding photos, engagement/couples sessions, and senior yearbook photos. For weddings, there is a few stunning locations for large and small weddings. There is a great space for your reception.
There is so much opportunities for amazing photos here too! The structures/buildings and the expertly cared for botanicals are so much fun to use in photos.

I've only come here for the Christmas lights around the holiday times and would definitely recommend it. It's a short 0.8 mile walk around a loop of beautifully decorated lights. Horse drawn carrage ride for an additional price. Great place to take the kids for a neat experience.

Beautiful day at Botanical Gardens. The tulips were at peak!! The trails are always lovely to stroll along. Highly recommend coming in spring. This is the first year we came in spring and it was fabulous. It is pretty to come in the summer as well. There is a little bit of construction right now so part of the Gardens are blocked off.

Fantastic spot to stop and take in the wildlife and see the excellent displays of flowers. The walk out to the pond was very relaxing and had benches well placed in shaded areas. Not sure I agree with the 0.65 mile walk to the pond, my watch said it was closer to 0.5 miles, but a very easy walk on well maintained trails.
Very well kept grounds, and nearly every plant was well labeled.
Has a really large kid friendly area too, with a frog bridge that had around a dozen frogs. Also saw a painted turtle basking in the sun by the pond.
Was able to save $1 by buying a ticket online via a QR code at the entrance.
They had a nice gift shop too filled with nature themed gifts. Definitely a nice spot to stop with a family.

A lovely place for a stroll. The gardens have gorgeous lines of site and picturesque views abound. Sites and smells are truly enjoyable. We loved seeing the traveling sculptures from WashedAshore.org. The first couple we saw gave a sense of awe. As we continued, there's sadness creeps in. Definitely worth the visit for both the changing beauty of the gardens and to see the ocean waste sculptures.

Oh My God! Beautiful place to go. Never seen anything like it. Wish we had something like this back home. So many things to see and not enough time. If you love plants, flowers and beautiful scenery. You definitely need to come here.

This is such an absolutely beautiful place! Every year the flowers change a little bit and give you a new adventure. There's weddings there, gardens to teach your children with, an inside area to play with, and miles of hiking trails all throughout the entire garden area. We discovered a pond that we never even knew was there and we'd been there multiple times.

Beautiful garden with a variety of plants and gardening techniques in use. The children's garden area is both beautiful and it has lots of activities for kids, including a splash pad, so plan accordingly. Lots to see as you walk around. Event space is available, and the garden makes a great backdrop for wedding photos or other event.

So much beauty! We picked the perfect time to go with the spring bloom of tulips! This is truly a wonderful garden for the Green Bay area and they just opened a new section for children which is great! I highly recommend walking through here if you get the chance. There is an admission fee, but they also run various specials; as today was free admission.

2nd time getting to see the Garden of Lights - always a neat experience. Only this last year was a little disappointing with not being able to get up close and personal (some things were roped off). Still worth it - and it was a good evening for it- went the Eve of New Years Eve.

The Greenbay botanical garden was a very beautiful place to visit. This was my first time going, and I spent about 3 hours wandering, taking photos of flowers, and seeing the many areas that there were to discover here.
I was very impressed by the variety of flowers, which were still blooming. I look forward to coming back later in the season to see the rest of the flowers fully bloomed.
This is also a great place to bring kids as it has a splash pad as well as an area for kids to run around.
I got a family membership for the season, which was very reasonable priced considering the size of the place. I cannot wait to bring the kids on a nice summer day.

Always a fun time! We came here for our 1 year anniversary after getting married here last year. We were happy to explore the new expanded children's garden and see how the garden has changed. The roses were in full bloom which I loved! Always great employees ready to help. We got rained out otherwise we would have spent hours there exploring!
