It exceeded my expectations. It’s always been my dream to travel to NYC and go to the top of the ESB. We booked 7pm reservations which was a great choice. We were able to view the city just before the sun set and then at sundown. It takes your breath away. Worth every penny. Staff were cool, calm and collected with making sure people got to where they needed to go. So many photo ops before you take the ride up to the observatory. Lots of history about the building’s construction. Great gift shop as well - literally anything you can think of, they have. A little pricey, but that’s to be expected. Overall - great experience and I would do it again!

Amazing art deco building absolutely loved it inside and out. The building is so beautiful and has been respectfully modernised so that you can barely notice.
The journey to the observatory has a wealth of historical information on the construction and foundations of the building which is hugely interesting.
The staff are there at every step, helpful and polite and courteous.
Would highly recommend a visit for everyone and of course the stop at the gift shop.
Fabulous day out.

The views are just incredible here! My husband and I used our NY Sightseeing Pass and booked ahead of time, paying about $20 extra at booking to get a sunset time slot. It was absolutely worth it. Note that if you didn't book for a sunset time, they will not let you in during sunset - you have to pick that time slot during booking and pay the additional fee. I saw them turn people away because of that when we came in, even though the place looked almost empty.
We came on a weeknight when school was still in session, and there was no wait; we went straight up, and didn't feel rushed or crowded at any point. You walk through a history of the building on your way up. I'd entirely forgotten that was part of the experience, but it was fun, even though I rushed through a little in my excitement to get to the top! Be warned that when you come down, you don't go back out that way to exit, so if you want photos with anything, you need to do it as you enter.
We took the elevator up, and awaiting us at the top were breathtaking views of a dreamy city robed in buttery, rosy tones, thousands of feet below our chilly, breezy perch in the sky. It was almost magical. I took literally 100 photos, and every one is incredible.
You really can't go wrong with this classic NY destination. It's truly beautiful and very classic, for good reason. Don't cheap out and miss sunset - I think you'd regret it. I certainly would have!

The panoramic views of New York City from this renowned landmark were simply breathtaking.
The Empire State Building observatory offers an unparalleled 360-degree view, allowing visitors to soak in the beauty and grandeur of New York City from a remarkable vantage point. The observatory is thoughtfully designed, featuring large glass windows that offer unobstructed views, making it an ideal spot for photography enthusiasts and those seeking to capture incredible memories.
To enhance the experience, the observatory provides informative panels and interactive displays, offering fascinating historical facts and trivia about the Empire State Building and its significance in New York's skyline. It adds a layer of educational value, making the visit not only visually captivating but intellectually stimulating as well.

Iconic building. You can only go in 30mins before your booking time. There's nothing much to see/do except for going to level 86 for the view.
I recommend going around sunset time to get both day and night views. It's not easy to get a good view due to the huge crowd and protective railings.

Visited the Empire State building. It was a great experience. The views were great, and the building was a lovely building. Definitely recommend buying ahead tickets. The outside view is very big and wraps around building, so you have 360-degree views. Would recommend as a one time visit. Just did 86th floor but was good enough.

As you make your way up to the observatory, you learn the history and how this magnificent staple of the NYC skyline was created. You even get to hang out with King Kong! The views are unbeatable and romantic! Fans of the movie “Elf”will really enjoy the entrance when you are ready to leave the tour. Staff was so very friendly and helpful, and everything is streamlined seamlessly. Take in all the details from the elevator doors to the photo ops and you’ll have a great time here.

Best experience ever!!!
So I got gifted a chance to go to the 80, 86, and 102 floors at sunset. Best gift ever!!!
The best experience ever. It was beautiful and stunning. The photos and the museum were great. I had a blast. I highly recommend it if your in NYC, the view it amazing.
And!! You can see the roof top bars and pick one to go to after your visit the Empire state building.

It was a great experience. One of the perks of using the City Pass was that I was able to get into the building both in the morning and in the evening. I highly recommend visiting at night as the view from the top is truly breathtaking. The city lights sparkle and it's a great way to see the city from a different perspective. The price for admission without the City Pass is quite steep, so I recommend getting the pass if you plan on visiting multiple tourist attractions in the city. Overall, it's worth the visit for the spectacular evening view.
Payam cf — Google review
While the views are stunning from the Empire State Building. It’s not worth the hype. What you don’t see in the pics is how crowded the area on the 86th floor is. People literally on top of people. Strollers running over your feet. People pushing or just being rude to get their “perfect shot.” Not much room to move around. And for the price, you probably stay on the deck for 5-10 minutes. You are able to read history regarding the building as they usher you around like a herd of cows. I do NOT recommend. Spend your money else. I know while visiting NYC you’ll want to visit because it’s a “top destination.” But please don’t waste your time or money. We have to start being more honest about this “top destinations.” Enjoy my pics & try something else in NYC.

It was a fantastic experience on Empire State. The 360-degree view was breathtaking, especially during the sunset in September when it was pretty full. If you're also a photographer, you have to be quick to find a good spot during summer sunsets. I enjoyed the experience, and I hope you have many more memorable moments there!

This is absolutely a MUST for a trip to NYC!! It's definitely an iconic site and well worth paying for both decks. We did not take a specialty tour, just walked around ourselves to observe it's majesty, architecture, views and learn the history behind it. The only problem I had was trying to buy tickets on line. Don't. I kept getting error messages and then my card was charged and credited. I found out at ESB that it was better just to get tickets at a kiosk which is what we did with absolutely no wait time or difficulty.
Amy Lipinski — Google review
The Empire State Building offers a truly breathtaking experience that words can hardly do justice to. It stands as one of the tallest and most iconic skyscrapers in the world, and ascending to its observation deck delivers an awe-inspiring view of the city that is nothing short of magical.
The moment you step onto the observation deck of the Empire State Building, you're greeted with a panoramic view that stretches as far as the eye can see. The city sprawls out beneath you like a living, breathing entity, with its streets, buildings, and landmarks weaving a tapestry of life and activity.
What sets this experience apart is not just the magnificent view, but the sensation of standing atop a structure that seems to touch the sky. As you gaze out, the sheer height and grandeur of the Empire State Building become palpable. It's a liberating experience that fills you with a sense of awe and wonder.
Feeling the fresh breeze atop this towering marvel is not just refreshing, it's invigorating. It's a breath of freedom amidst the hustle and bustle of the city below. The peaceful serenity up there, high above the chaos, creates a unique contrast that's both liberating and contemplative.
The Empire State Building also has a rich history, and it's impossible not to be moved by the knowledge that you're standing on a piece of architectural and cultural history. The observatory offers insight into the construction of the building and its role in shaping the skyline of New York City.
In conclusion, the Empire State Building provides a one-of-a-kind experience that transcends mere sightseeing. It's a breathtaking journey to the top of one of the world's most iconic structures, where you'll feel on top of the world, both figuratively and literally. If you're in New York City, this is a must-visit destination that promises a memorable and truly liberating experience.

Beautiful scenery! I loved the little exhibit displayed before going up higher. It was nice to go outside and see the city from that view. However, if you wanted to go up to the very top, there was an additional pay that we weren't warned about. We bought our tickets in advance and thought it was for everything but I guess not. Still a good place to go besides that.
Stephanie Jacobson — Google review
would say that this is not a busy place right now. We did not have to wait in line at all. There was ample opportunity to see the views on every side, and had almost no wait time to get an elevator. I felt comfortable the whole time I was up there, while I did not like the CN tower at all. There is a bunch of history at the bottom before you go up which is neat to see. There is also a few nice photo opportunities. This is my third time to NYC and my first time up to the top of the Empire State Building.
Siegmund Eberhardt — Google review
Iconic of course and a must visit for the first time tourist. However, be warned there are long queues and it gets pretty crowded so it's tough to get a good view especially during the golden hour. Not worth using the picture package. Just soak in the view at night time. The building itself is very art deco and impressive. The staff is very nice.
Buy tickets in advance.
Soak in the view.
Stroller friendly access to the deck.
M. Faizan Khan — Google review
Was actually overwhelmed by the experience, which exceeded expectations. Definitely recommend going there when it's already dark because the views are positively dazzling. Finding your way upstairs, there is also a really nice interactive tour of the building process and photos of all the celebs that have been here. The absolute highlight has to be the views tho.

Amazing experience! Kids friendly and great for making family memories. The staff is very kind. You can buy your tickets online or there. The view on every floor is incredible. I highly recommend the floor 102. Kids under 6 go free.

I recently visited the Empire State Building, and I must say it was an incredible experience. The construction is awe-inspiring, and the view from the top is simply breathtaking. What made it even better was that there was no queue, which was a pleasant surprise. I highly recommend booking in advance using the New York Pass to make the most of your visit. Overall, a fantastic attraction that deserves 5 stars!

The Empire State Building proudly boasts its status as the world's most famous building, and while this claim might be debated, it's certainly close to the truth. This colossal marvel was meticulously constructed in 1931 and remains one of the tallest structures in the United States. Upon entering from 34th Street, you'll be greeted by elegantly dressed staff, making for a grand entrance. I strongly recommend purchasing tickets online in advance; prices may vary throughout the day, but I paid $40 for a 7:30 pm tour. On the second floor, you'll explore the building's museum, where history comes to life in an engaging manner. What I initially expected to be a visit to the observatory turned out to be an all-encompassing American-style entertainment experience, complete with short films, statues, games, and paintings. Undoubtedly, it stands as one of the iconic symbols of New York City, and if you find yourself in the city, a visit to the Empire State Building is a must.

I went to One World (cannot take pictures due to too much glare), the Empire State Building and the Top of the Rock. I liked both the Empire and the Rock (amazing view of the Empire State Building). Since I loved watching "Sleepless in Seattle", it was great to be there. There were a couple of things I didn't like about: 1. You don't get to see the Empire State Building😂 2. You don't get a clear view (however, I kind of liked it). 3. At night, your picture will look very red.
I would revisit it if I come back to NYC!
At 630pm on Thursday, there was no line up.
S LEE — Google review
The views are spectacular at night. Had an amazing time with my family. They were all very friendly getting us in and out. This was a wonder experience. Thankfully the lines were not too crazy long. The entrance is located on the North side of the building now. You will exit out the east side of building out the old entrance.

Empire State Building is a skyscraper in NY with 102 stories. You could get the tickets online which saves you time. The observatory in the 102 floor gives you a stunning view of NY city. The important part of the observatory place is that it’s open and you could really feel the night and the fresh air in NY.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Empire State Building, and it truly lived up to its iconic status. The experience was nothing short of spectacular, earning this historic landmark a solid five stars in my book.
The breathtaking views from the observation deck are unparalleled, offering a panoramic feast for the eyes that captures the essence of the bustling city below.
The staff were friendly and efficient, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable visit. The historical exhibits on various floors provide fascinating insights into the building's rich history and its role in shaping the skyline of New York City.
I highly recommend a visit to the Empire State Building to anyone exploring the Big Apple. It's a must-see landmark that truly captures the spirit of New York City. Just be prepared for the crowds, and you're in for an unforgettable experience.
Times Square is a bustling destination in the heart of the Theater District that is known for its bright lights, costumed characters, and curious tourists. The area is also home to New York Citys annual New Years Eve Ball Drop.
I loved going to Time Square at night. It was really nice and everyone was doing their own thing, lots of people there but there were no issues or trouble. There are lots of cool stores to shop at, lots of eateries even off the main streets. There were people out there Performing and so much to see and do. Everyone was happy and the vibe was good.
I do highly recommend going to Time Square at night!!! The lights and screens on the buildings are so colorful and huge, it's a sight to see!!!

This is definitely the hearth and would of the city!
If you are in New York, you have to go to Times Square, no doubts about it 😍
This is the place that concentrates one of the world most famous advertising spots, ads and news!
The feeling of just walking in this area is amazing and it’s free 😂
This place has been the background and stage of many movies, famous events, concerts, etc. There are plenty of options for shopping, eating and drinking. There are many theaters and attractions just concentrated in these few blocks.
Last but not least, if you are in New York in late December you should consider attend to the most famous New Year’s Eve celebration… obviously in Times Square! 👍

World famous.. Need I say more? It's busy, so keep yourself safe and enjoy it. Try not to be ripped off by the costumed guys, photographers and so on! But it's an amazing place to visit and people watch...

My first visit to Times square and it was bustling, busy, full of people, and I must have heard no less than 10 different languages being spoken within a three block radius. Everyone was happy, and a good place, the street performers were entertaining, the general vibe was just one of happiness. I think people really sincerely just happy to be out again without their masks.

Had a great time here at Times Square, I am happy that there is a big Police presence here so that nobody gets way out of line. FYI… don’t go to Times Square if you cannot stand being around a lot of people. This place gets busy even on a weekday/ weeknight.!! Fun times though, highly recommended if you’ve never been here.
Art DeLaCruz II — Google review
Times Square is a tourist venue that everyone must visit in their lifetime. After you experience it, you will be satisfied and will probably not have a desire to go back. Going to see it comes with different suggestions than if you are going to experience it. If you just want to see it, go on a weekday night. You get to see all the lights and crowds of people, as well as go to shows and shop. On weekdays, it seemed like things were a little less expensive. Maybe they have more sales to bring in people on these days. You will probably encounter street performers, but they aren’t as pushy on weekdays. If you want to experience it, I recommend going on a Friday or Saturday night. The crowds are larger, the shows have their A list actors but are more expensive, and the street performers will all but push you into a photo and then tell you its $20.
April Smith — Google review
The tourist magnet of New York City! Lots of fun to visit, visually stunning with all the digital advertising on the buildings. Lots of shopping and some chain restaurants as well as food carts. Lots of good smells and happy people looking around in wonder. I fully enjoyed myself.
Gregory Schmerber — Google review
They quote New York as “The City Never Sleeps”. This can be understood in real if someone visit Times Square. Maybe the shops are closed but yet they are well lit and there are people on the street every now and then.
Rab Tanjim — Google review
Other reviews claim that Times Square closes early, but we got there around 11:30, and that was not the case. Vendors were barely setting up at that time. There were street performers and shows everywhere! I would suggest to not drive there because the traffic is horrible! Other than that, it was beautiful and full of people! Check it out :)

I went to time Square at 3 am on a Saturday/Sunday morning on a stop over in NY. It was a destination, I arrived, and quite frankly, the ambiance in the wee hours of the morning rival its known busyness of its day.
A Marketing Wonder to be sure, the lights of the billboards and all enticing g you with a promise of the feelings the products they display can inspire. Enjoy the experience!
Tytans Of Capital — Google review
Incredible vibes. Could have spent a whole day there probably. It's amazing when you're standing there yourself and not watching through a screen, really was something else. Great selection of shops, restaurants and bars too.
Maybe too many random people approaching you asking you to buy stuff for my liking, and who were quite persistent, but that was my only gripe.
Terry McCusker — Google review
Great city. Some of the people are very rude, so be prepared! It was very expensive but worth every penny. You appreciate that Britain isn't that expensive in comparison.
Would definitely go again as the positives outweigh the negative.
We stayed in the Crowne Plaza Times Square, and the location was perfect.

Times Square in New York City is an iconic and bustling hub that captivates visitors with its vibrant energy and neon lights. It's a place where the city truly comes alive, making it a must-visit destination for tourists and locals alike.
The bright and colorful billboards that adorn the surrounding buildings create a mesmerizing spectacle, especially when they light up at night. The sheer scale of advertising and digital screens is a testament to the area's commercial significance.
Times Square is not just about advertisements, though. It's also home to numerous theaters, including the famous Broadway theaters, where you can catch world-class performances and musicals. The TKTS booth, where you can buy discounted same-day theater tickets, adds to the entertainment value.
Despite its reputation as a tourist hotspot, Times Square offers a sense of excitement and community. Street performers, costumed characters, and vendors add to the lively atmosphere, and you'll often find musicians and artists showcasing their talents.
However, the crowds can be overwhelming, especially during peak tourist seasons. It's advisable to visit at different times of the day to experience its various facets, from the hustle and bustle of the daytime to the dazzling spectacle of the nighttime lights.
Overall, Times Square is a symbol of New York City's energy and diversity. While some may find it chaotic, it undeniably captures the essence of the city that never sleeps and is worth a visit for the iconic New York experience.

I love NY. It was an amazing experience. Ground Zero I would definitely recommend. It’s hard not to cry. All the historical landmarks makes a dream come true. I’m a country boy at heart. Now I’ve feel in love with Big lights. To be here. It’s like being in the center of the Universe.

This was very underwhelming. There were (obviously) a LOT of people. The more annoying part was the stupid costume characters looking for money. They were everywhere and in the way.
It was great to check off a box for me. But it wasn’t all it’s cracked up to be. It was a decent place to “pass through” on my way to somewhere else. But there wasn’t much to do in Times Square itself.
I would not go back. But it’s definitely more of a “one and done” place.
Jarrod Dibble — Google review
My first visit to Times Square was all I expected and more, of course crowded as expected, but the volume of vendors, street performers was a bit overwhelming at first and for the most part I felt safe and comfortable on the street. We left a show around 11 pm and it was just as bright as turning the day, was mind blowing how bright it was..
DFW Food Dude — Google review
Times Square is undoubtedly an iconic destination, but its allure can be overshadowed by the overwhelming crowds and flashing billboards. However, visiting early in the morning offers a completely different experience. Before the chaos sets in, Times Square feels surprisingly peaceful, allowing visitors to appreciate its vibrant energy without feeling suffocated by the masses. The neon lights still dazzle, but the hustle and bustle are replaced by a sense of tranquility. Exploring Times Square at this hour provides a unique opportunity to admire its architecture, snap some memorable photos, and truly soak in the atmosphere. For a more enjoyable experience, I highly recommend visiting Times Square early in the morning to witness its magic in a quieter setting.
Broadway theater is a well-known place for hosting large musical productions. It first opened its doors in 1924 and has been hosting some of the biggest names in show business ever since. Whether you're a fan of musicals or not, it's worth checking out one of these shows when you're in town.
Theater is beautiful, little prince set is all Projected to backdrop and floor with lots of dance, a narration with little dialogue or singing. It’s a slow paced show, I would’ve liked to be in Center Orchestra for this show.

And I couldn’t believe my luck, I got to see Hugh Jackman (I am a big fan) doing the music man at winter garden. The great Gatsby was fantastic!
The love story and the criticism of the society....amazing stage decoration!
The organisation of the event is great,
In the break there was a HUGE line for the restrooms but the ladies in charge put the waiting ladies in a orderly position so they don't stand in a way like a demonstration.
The line also moved quickly so I made it ti the show just in time.

Fantastic. Spectacular. Absolutely Enjoyable. And the Broadway show was Here Lies Love! From the moment I entered the theatre to the time I left it, it was an incredible experience. As for the Harry Potter play itself, that part was really good me and my partner really enjoyed it. The only thing that let it down was the fact of people making a lot of noise even after repeatedly being told by the concierge to be quiet. It was very disruptive which is why I can only give it 3 stars

Watched Here Lies Love and enjoyed it! Great location easy to find and stage and effects were awesome. One quip is seats tight in rear mezzanine and no cup holders for drinks bought there which they allowed.

I went and saw Harry Potter and the cursed child! GREAT time. Loved the experience. We were able to get drinks and enjoy the show.

Went to see Here Lies Love here which recently closed (as it should’ve). The theatre itself is nice. There is plenty of legroom in the mezzanine seats, and the bathrooms have many stalls which prevents obnoxiously long lines from forming.
Top of The Rock is a 70th floor observation deck in Rockefeller Center that offers breathtaking views of the city from all directions. It is one of the most popular tourist attractions in New York City and can be reached by taking the elevator to the top.
I loved this entire experience. Staff were very helpful from start to end and the views! Oh the views were stunning and that was an understatement. Each of the 3 observation decks gives a new perspective and more photo opportunities.
I am not a lover of heights but this building was perfect for seeing this amazing city without worrying about how high up I was.
Highly recommend especially if like myself you love the Empire State building. The views are simply stunning.

Great views from great central location so views excellent from north, south, east and west. We went late at night after short walk from Broadway. Lights of NYC amazing. The darkest area you see is of course central park with no lights.
Tip - save your picture taking for the top level as no glass on that floor. Strange feeling that you were going to drop camera every time you took a picture.

Fantastic experience. Absolutely worth the money. Probably the only observation deck which has 360 degree view of the NYC including Central Park, Empire State, Statue of Liberty, and World One. Visited the place at 7:00pm when sunny, stayed till the night and saw all three views from the top (Sunny, Sunset, and Night). And all three have a charm of its own.

Top of the rock was one of my favorite activities that we experienced in the city. The view of the skyline at night was incredible. We went at night, got in right away, and enjoyed amazing views with not tooany people. Highly recommend if you're looking to visit an observation deck.

A visit to Top of the Rock at the Rockefeller Center is an absolute must-do in NYC! You're treated to a spectacular 360-degree view of New York City that is truly breathtaking. From downtown Manhattan to the lush expanse of Central Park, the vistas are simply stunning. It's awe-inspiring to realize that behind each towering skyscraper lie countless stories of people living and working, offering a glimpse into the immense scale of this vibrant city.
One of the highlights of the experience is the opportunity to sit on a ledge on the second level of the rooftop, reminiscent of the famous photograph of construction workers having lunch. For $25 per person, you can elevate to this unique spot and rotate around your axis while securely fastened with a safety strap. While some may find it thrilling, others may feel a bit apprehensive. Nonetheless, those who dared to try it described it as an exhilarating experience.
Overall, Top of the Rock offers an unforgettable perspective of New York City, providing visitors with a captivating glimpse into the city's boundless energy and endless possibilities. It's an experience that is sure to leave a lasting impression on anyone who visits.

There was almost no wait, the staff was friendly. Visibility was poor that day because it rained but it made for beautiful photos of the skyline and gave a magical look to everything. The gift shop was not too expensive although the selection was small. The elevator was fast, the bathrooms were clean, and although it was Christmas it was not too crowded. Even though it was Christmas it was not too cold. They followed the covid protocol strictly which is always a plus. Everyone was wearing masks and had to be vaccinated. Just check to make sure that any stores in the center that you want to go to are near the exit and are open otherwise you have to walk outside and all the way around. You are allowed to bring food and drinks and there are metal detectors. If you have a small bag you can go faster. Don't worry about wearing a belt it's not a problem. Overall it was a great experience and you get to see all four sides of the city from multiple perspectives and multiple floors. It is wheelchair accessible. On good days you can see into Brooklyn and even the Narrows bridge.

Visit the observatory after dinner.
I went a little late around 9:30, but I could go to the observatory smoothly without lining up.
It's mid-August, but the observatory is cool, so if you're a woman, you'll be able to enjoy the night view more comfortably if you have something to wear.
If you want to see the observatory at the best time of sunset, you need to get a timed ticket early, otherwise you won't be able to enter at your desired time.
This time, I went to Top of the Rock, Empire State Building, and Edge Observatory, and all of them have wonderful views.
The Top of the Rock, Empire State Building is a classic observatory, and the Edge is a modern observatory. ”

What better way to celebrate a wedding anniversary than a bit of time at the Top of The Rock?
The hubs and I decided to end of anniversary looking out over the city. We visited late on a weekday evening so there wasn't much of a wait. There was a small crowd, but still plenty of other people.
Top of The Rock presents some of the best views of NYC. And it's open fairly late, so it's a great spot for dates that go late.

Top of the rock gives you an amazing view, not only for the empire state building, but also on the central park! It was my most favourite view spot, out of the 3 or 4 that they have in NYC. In the evening it gets pretty crowded, and if youre not a tall person, you may not see a lot, so rather go during the day. But as a 1.80m human, definitely worth it to see NYC with all the lights on.

One of my favorite views and destinations when visiting New York City with first timers. The 🗽🏙️🌇🌆🌃 views are epic, as you get equal parts, Central Park and lower Manhattan and everything between the two rivers. The staff are temporary so you do get some mixed customer service experiences, however, for the most part it is a smooth experience getting up and down.
They do have ♿ handicap accessible options, with elevator access and ramps as you make your way up. However, it is a little busy at the top and can be difficult to move around if wheelchair or assisted.
Don't forget to check out the multiple levels to get all the 📸📹 photos you need and visit the gift shop at the top and ground floor. Tons of restaurants and food options downstairs as well.

Gorgeous views. It is a bit of a pricey experience, but 100% worth it! We visited toward the start of the day and didn't have much of a wait at all. Security was very smooth and the 360 view was just stunning. There are a couple of different levels so that you can easily get that perfect shot without anyone else in your picture. Definitely would reccomend it!

Mesmerizing experience!! We got the observation deck-general admissions and the beam experience. The beam was overall good, it was short lasted a min or so, and we paid $25 for it. The view was great but you’re not allowed to take your phone and have to leave it in the storage near the beam. Overall this observation deck gives you a perfect 360 degree view of New York city.

Outstanding views of NYC, aside from that, not sure what the fuss is. You are herded into a line at your appointed time, then you go up to the top (if you are lucky you end up in the express elevator), and wait in lines to get to 1 of 3 observation decks. You get to see all three, and the view is amazing, but the cost of admission is a bit steep for what it is. Once you are ready to go down to the gift shop (you can't leave without going through it), you wait in a longer line then to get in.

Believe the hype. Top of the Rock’s three levels of indoor and outdoor observation decks deliver spectacular, unobstructed views of the city skyline. With terraces facing east, west, north, and south, Top of the Rock’s panoramic sights make it the ultimate observation deck in NYC. This is one of the most fabulous place in NYC. I recommend booking tickets in advance for a day with ideal weather.

Stunning view across the whole city. Would recommend getting up their early so it’s not so crowded. We arrived at 9am (first elevator up). There are three decks, all with little different settings, I liked the lowest and highest deck the most - but that’s just my personal impression. It’s also relative good for persons who are afraid of height as there is enough space and slowly reach the rim of the decks.

This place offered some pretty amazing views of NYC. If you don't mind spending the money to go into this place, then it is pretty worth it. I definitely recommend scheduling your date and time before just showing up. We did spend a good 30 minutes in line waiting to get in. In all fairness, it was the weekend, the most popular time is right before sunset, which was around 7pm, and there was going to be an eclipse. I'm sure if you book the same time any other weekend or weekday you wouldn't have to wait in line as long as we did. The elevator is pretty cool and the staff was very friendly. Can't wait to come back and experience it all over again.

I went to Top of The Rock a few weeks ago at 5:00 pm.
WhenI went up there it not that much people at that time so I pick some quality spot to wait for the sunset time.
Then people getting more cloudy when the sunset time almost come.
And it's really worth to wait so long.
The sunset light started and the building was starting light up.
It's great place for tourists, couple, parents, or just alone.
Highly recommended this place.

Top of the Rock is one of the most important points on the NYC map. Here you can see the city from above, not covered by bars and glass. But Rock has a lot of competition in New York. We started visiting the skyscrapers from there. You won't regret it, even though it is the lowest skyscraper you can visit.

There are amazing views of the city. One deck has glass windows that don't obstruct the views but blocks the wind so it wasn't as cold as it would have been. The upper deck doesn't have the glass. Definitely wear comfortable clothing that's appropriate for the weather because you are outside.

I visited Top of the Rock 10 years ago during the day and it had the best views on the city.
This time we visited at night time and the views were breath taking. The photos don't do the views justice. They were much more impressive in real life.
This is also the best place to have a nice look on the Empire State Building.

Be sure to go up the stairs to the very top deck for the best views.

A wonderful experience here. The line at my allocated time was quite long, but moved quickly and efficiently. It may be worth paying for the VIP entry however. View of this magnificent city is outstanding. I do wish they had more staff to police people who "hog" tie view for selfies and time-lapse photographs and don't move to let others have their turn, but I was able to find spots with a bit of work. Definitely a great experience and a must-do when you come to New York City. Loved it. Go at sunset!

Top of the rock was an overall nice tourist attraction. A personal favourite of mine as if you go up the Empire State Building, you don’t get the empire state in the pictures!
Overall very well staffed with an easy to navigate layout.
Tickets can be purchased online ahead of time or on the day. There is a small wooden booth out the front of the rockfella centre. April 2024 it was a light orange colour. Or you can also purchase inside.
The entrance is around the side of the rock, not in the actual building. The entrance is next to the NBC entrance, not heavily signposted or directed so maybe a sign or two out the front or on the lamps could help people find their way.
The experience going up and at the viewing platforms was very enjoyable. The glass was extremely clear and clean. Elevators going up were nicely kept. Staff were interactive, friendly and welcoming. But not pushy, nor overbearing.
I think you can pretty much do with just the general admission, you can pay to do “the beam” also but from what we saw of it, more of a gimmick and not necessarily an addition to any view. :)

The Top of the Rock observatory is one of the best spots to see New York City. The view of the Empire State Building is amazing! You get a great look at Manhattan from up there.
The elevator ride was a bit plain. It could be more interesting, maybe with screens showing fun facts about the city or the building. Just a suggestion to make it even better!
I loved my visit and would recommend it to anyone wanting a fantastic view of NYC.

Incredibly crowded at sunset with tons of people pouring in and very few leaving. The entrance system is chaotic; miscommunication between staff resulted in us started and stopping progress more than once.
The views are amazing once you've fought for a good spot. Once it's dark, glare off the glass can be challenging.
Rockefeller Center is a famous complex in midtown Manhattan that is home to TV studios, an ice rink, and a giant Christmas tree. The complex is a popular tourist destination all year round, but it becomes especially busy during the holiday season when visitors can enjoy the sights and sounds of concerts, shows, and skating at the ice rink.
Took the center tour. Did not realize the number of buildings and the art adorning them. Very insightful. Then to the top of the rock. Three observation deck levels. What an amazing view. And, from the very top level, the view is 360. Great way to spend an afternoon in New York City.

Absolutely stunning place and I loved Top of Rock! Once I came back home, it was super exciting to be able to recognize this place in so many movies! The tree is magnificent and the holiday lights make it the perfect place to take beautiful portrait pics! The vibe is also 💯. Do note that there is always gonna be a long line and too much crowd here so your best bet is to either go super early in the morning or stay up super late to get a crowd free pic!

Really good views across Manhattan in all directions. We originally had tickets for a day when it was raining but we were able to exchange them. Top of the Rock: Although the wait to get in was unexpectedly long, even for pre-ticketed customers (the ticket says NOT to show up before your scheduled time, which didn't work out well for us), the friendliness of employees and the efficiency of the operation more than made up for it. I was really impressed with how kind and accommodating employees were. I wish I would have gotten the names of people who helped me, because their customer service was outstanding! Grand Central Terminal is an absolute marvel and a must-visit destination for anyone exploring New York City. As a visitor, my experience there was nothing short of awe-inspiring.
From the moment I entered, I was captivated by the grandeur of the terminal. Its Beaux-Arts architecture, characterized by its iconic celestial-themed ceiling, elegant chandeliers, and intricate details, creates an atmosphere of timeless elegance. It's not just a transportation hub; it's a living work of art.
Navigating the terminal was surprisingly easy, thanks to clear signage and helpful staff. It's the gateway to the city and beyond, with its extensive network of trains and subways connecting you to various neighborhoods and attractions.
The dining options inside the terminal are exceptional, from casual eateries to upscale restaurants. Whether you're grabbing a quick bite or enjoying a leisurely meal, there's something for every palate.
What truly impressed me was the Vanderbilt Hall, a magnificent space often used for exhibitions and events. It's a testament to the terminal's versatility and its role as a cultural hub.
Overall, Grand Central Terminal is a quintessential New York City experience. It's a place where history, art, and transportation converge, and it left me with a deep appreciation for the city's grandeur and sophistication. I was there several times in the past.
Currently and as a consequence of the pandemic, the area of restaurants and shops has lost its charm because most of them are permanently closed.
In the market you can find rare delicatessen and seasoning , but it’s expensive.

I will defend the statement that public transportation in the United States pales in comparison to its fellow developed nations, but Grand Central Terminal is one of those places that makes me happy to use NY public transportation.
It's an architectural marvel less iconic than the Empire State Building, but so much more aesthetic. The food options within and nearby are tempting. The staff are approachable & know their stuff.

On screen, you've seen Grand Central Terminal in dozens (if not hundreds) of movies & TV appearances. But seeing this historical building in person is well worth a visit. I love the soaring, vaulted ceilings with the starry constellation painted above. And the (reportedly) $20 million opal glass clock sitting quietly atop the circular Information Booth. The American Museum of Natural History is a world-renowned museum filled with specimens from all over the natural world. It is one of the largest museums in the world, and it makes science come alive for visitors with its permanent exhibitions. The museum also has an excellent library and planetarium.
One of the best museums I've been to. You'll need a map, you can easily spend the whole day here. The gem/geode collection was beautiful, the dinosaur exhibit was so cool and had a lot of real fossils/bones. Loved seeing the different animal species. Also the sea creature exhibit was beautifully laid out!!!!

A museum continually adapting. The Natural History beautifully renovated the planetarium 20 years ago. It was cool to go as a kid but getting run down and the Rose Center was a flying-car level upgrade.
The Gilder Center is this generation’s renovation. It’s an architecturally engaging space; invites watching and reading about exhibits. A real level up for drawing visitors into exhibits.
The museum seems conscious of its history and maintains itself as an exhibition of how nature has been exhibited. Its famous dioramas are maintained very well. That they don’t feel out of place in a modern science museum is an achievement.
The Natural History and (across the park) the Met are great to take kids and people in town. They’re great to wander through and have a moment; remember visits as a kid; finding something new.
TIP: look up tickets online and visit on a weekday.

Went with my girls to the American Museum of Natural History and we loved it. There is so much to see and learn. This place never gets old. My youngest was giddy with how excited she was to be there and she’s a teenager. If you plan to watch any of the payed exhibitions, I highly recommend you buy it ahead of time as these get booked months in advanced. There are many bathroom options throughout the museum. It’s a lot of walking so come comfortable. Price per person varies: you have the option of becoming a member (family $179/139 adult), residents (between $14-$25 dollars depending on child, adult, or senior) or Pay What You Wish ($1-$25 dollars with a suggested price option), non-resident ( $16-$28 dollars depending on child, adult, or senior). Can’t wait to visit again.

I don’t know how anyone could give this museum less than 5 stars. I spent 5 hours here walking around learning. I did not buy a ticket in advance and didn’t have any problems getting in. I did go right when the museum opened however. You can definitely tell what exhibits are new and which one have been there for a while. Put a good part of the day aside when you come here because you will get lost in history. There is an app that will help you navigate while you are there.

With membership the extra exhibitions are free and you don't need to wait for the admission.

This iconic institution is a treasure trove of knowledge, captivating exhibits, and a gateway to the wonders of our world and beyond. The exhibits at the American Museum of Natural History are thoughtfully curated, covering a wide range of disciplines including paleontology, anthropology, astronomy, biology, and more. Each section is meticulously designed to engage and educate visitors of all ages, making it a perfect destination for families, students, and enthusiasts alike.
One of the highlights of my visit was exploring the Hall of Dinosaurs, where life-size dinosaur skeletons transported me back millions of years. The level of detail and the immersive experience created within this exhibit were truly remarkable. It was a humbling experience to stand in the presence of these ancient giants and gain a deeper understanding of their existence.
Another captivating section was the Hall of Biodiversity, which showcased the incredible diversity of life on our planet. From intricate dioramas representing various ecosystems to interactive displays explaining the delicate balance of nature, this exhibit underscored the importance of conservation and our responsibility to protect the Earth's biodiversity.
To make the most of your visit, I recommend planning your time wisely, as the museum can be quite extensive. Be sure to check the museum's website for any temporary exhibits or special events happening during your visit, as they often provide additional opportunities for exploration and learning.

Great museum! I suggest to buy tickets online. A full visit may require 5 to 6 hours.
The best areas are dinosaurs and minerals in my opinion. Book the show at the planetarium, if available: the little extra price is worth!
4 stars and not 5 because personnel is sometimes rude and not welcoming at all, especially at security checks, cafeteria and food court.

The best museum I've been to so far. From the moment you walk into the building to the time you leave, I was in awe and amazement. Beautiful layout, amazing displays, larger then life models. Must see for any museum lover. OH and you never know you will be there. Me and my daughters shared and elevator with Pink and her daughters. Great experience all around.

I visited the Natural Museum in New York City and was thoroughly impressed! The exhibits were captivating, providing a fascinating journey through the wonders of natural history. The displays were well-curated, offering a perfect blend of education and entertainment. The museum's attention to detail and interactive features made the experience both informative and engaging. It's a must-visit for anyone interested in the beauty and diversity of our planet's natural world.

I thought it was going to contain the natural history of the Americans. It is America's Museum of Natural History of the world.. I arrived 1 hour before close, and they admitted me and my family free of admission! A few dinosaurs greet you as you enter. The African exhibit is straight ahead, and the Asian exhibit is to the left. Great visit for an hour. Bonus, Central Park is right across the street.

What can I say. As someone who frequents the original Natural History Museum in London, which is itself amazing, all I can say is that (as usual) the Americans have done it way bigger and better. This place is amazing, you can easily spend all day here, but to do it justice would take multiple visits. There is just so much, you cannot take it all in at once. If you do thinks like the planetarium and the special exhibits you need a couple of days at least.
There is such an array of different exhibits. The rock collection must be the best in the world. Its not as good as London for dinosaurs, but for nature and wildlife its second to none. The displays are so detailed it gives you a good idea of how the creatures live in the wild.
If you go to New York, this is one place that should definitely be on your ToDo list.

I think this is the best natural history museum in the US. It's bigger and better than the one in DC. In 2.5 hours, we saw less than half of it. If you took your time you could easily spend an entire day here. I wish we had more time to visit this place and would do so if I lived here. I would love to go solo one day to take my time and read everything. The "spectrum of life" wall is absolutely stunning and very informative at the same time. It's a unique feature if you ask me. Fantastic climate change and evolution exhibits. Iconic, beautiful, and classic taxidermy animal exhibits. Unfortunately just about all of the dinosaur skeletons are either casts or reproductions. What they have looks very cool, but is disappointing when you find that most of them are not real bones. I do love that they have employees / volunteers on hand to answer questions and educate the public. It was refreshing listening to explanations of genetics and climate change. You can ask deep questions and they will do their best to answer them in detail. 5 floors of exhibits to visit and a gift shop on every floor. Entrance security is firm but fair. Crowd was comfortable on a Thursday morning, not too crazy.

This is the best museum experience I have ever had. I spent an entire day there (11am-5pm), saw everything there was to see (and there was a lot to see - I walked more than 8km only inside the museum).
There is something for everyone in there. The most impressive exhibits for me were, of course, the dinosaurs skeletons, and also the gemstones hall. Both were absolutely mesmerizing!
Apt for all ages (families will enjoy it even more!)

Chicagoan here 👋: YOU MUST GO TO THIS MUSEUM!!! They offer an immense amount of interactive experience that can be enjoyed by all ages. Every hall I entered was just a whole new world of information that was perfectly laid out and explained. Highly recommend seeing the dinosaurs and gems. I feel like I didn't even see half of the exhibits but I'm definitely going to go back again in the future! 🙌

The American Museum of Natural History in New York is an impressive museum that shows the diversity of life on earth. It has many interesting exhibits, such as the dinosaur skeletons, the animal dioramas, the meteorite collection and the Rose Center for Earth and Space with the Hayden Planetarium. The museum is very large and I would recommend allowing a day to see everything. I found the museum very educational and entertaining. It is a great experience for children and adults. Overall, the entrance fee is quite high. I would not recommend the museum's own restaurant in the basement. The quality and selection didn't convince me. In addition, the prices were much too high.

I highly recommend visiting this place. The value of the ticket is well worth it because they have a wide range of exhibitions to offer. Be prepared to spend three to four hours exploring all four floors.
I suggest downloading the map through their website, as it's easy to navigate, and also purchasing tickets in advance. There are two entrances: one on Central Park West and the other on W 81st St. If you can't purchase tickets online, you can go to the cashier, but it may take 5-15 minutes depending on the day.
I noticed that weekdays (Monday to Thursday) are less crowded. I visited on a Wednesday during my trip, and it was a peaceful environment for taking photos. On Friday, it was super busy, with long lines at both entrances.
We were fascinated by the exhibits in the Gems and Minerals, Human Origins, Insectarium, African Mammals, Dinosaurs, and Blue Whales halls.
How was your experience?

Absolutely amazing! You HAVE TO GO! This location had the most amazing information, artifacts, exhibits… just everything really. I was there for almost 3 hours with my family and still felt rushed. So much information to absorb and process. So cool for kids especially all of the animal, reptile, amphibian, dinosaurs!!!!! Definitely book your tickets in advance, show up early to get in line and know there are multiple entrances- some way more busy than others. Lots of food/snack options so you can stay all day and enjoy learning. Please go!

Every year, this iconic museum gets better. Upgrades are more interactive, the movies are amazing and the theater in both the museum and planetarium are awesome. They new Gilder museum has a fabulous immersive experience called Invisible Worlds, that my 2 year old grandson really loved, and as members, we previewed the spectacular elephant exhibit which was full of info and fun exhibits. The museum has parking underneath, and a separate entrance for members, it has places to eat and you can pace the day beautifully. We traveled with my daughter, her toddler, my husband and me. Everyone was entertained, then a short visit to Central Park across the street, and some lunch nearby. A perfect day.

The Secret World of Elephants is a highly recommended exhibition. You are to get immersed in the world these magnificent animals by uncovering the science behind ancient and modern elephants’ evolution, anatomy, and brilliant minds. As you walk through this approximately 45-second exhibition, you and families, friends, and students will find out interesting information about elephants. For instance, have you ever heard of dwarf elephants? Let me tell you that their fossils have actually been found on islands in several parts of the world such as Sicily, Italy. Similarly, we will all become more aware of how elephants are protected by tourism; in fact, in countries such as Thailand tourism that benefits local people seem to be the most sustainable for both elephant and humans. The exhibition also highlights the relevance of some elephant characters in our lives like Dumbo the flying baby elephant in the 1941 film by Disney. All of us will be guided to keep learning about elephants. The exhibition suggested three strategies to do so: 1. READ about elephants, listen to podcasts, watch documentaries or attend exhibitions like The Secret World of Elephants, 2. STAY INFORMED about how elephants are affected by habitat loss, climate change, and the illegal ivory trade, and 3. LEARN ABOUT the way climate change can affect elephants. These are just some examples of the interesting things you are to get from The Secret World of Elephants.

Got here just before 1pm and was still trying to get around to different installations at closing time (5:30pm). Very easy to explore and take it all in. The information provided is easy to read and informative. The world's beyond us exhibit was visually appealing and enjoyable. Spent most of the time ok level 4 amongst the dinosaurs.

Fantastic museum. Amazing collection of taxidermy - especially for African mammals but the North American and Asian mammal halls are also excellent. Human Origins was very interesting - lots of really neat displays there. Make sure you check out the Blue Whale in the Ocean Life hall - it's so much bigger than you think it is.
Also make sure to look up special exhibit - we saw one in the secret life of elephants and it was so so good.
Pro tip: download the app. It has turn by turn directions to any exhibit or amenity. It's Google maps for the museum and it works fantastically.

Some delightful changes since I cam as a child with my parents almost 40 years ago. The Dinosaur exhibit, minerals & gems, and the Haden planetarium were the three major highlights, among a host of little discoveries. We spent about 4.5 hours in the museum, and would return some day to see what we skipped. This is one of the largest museums I've ever been to, I had forgotten just how big it is. Come and enjoy and learn.

I loved visiting this museum today! It has only gotten better since the last times I visited. My 5 year old had fun in all the exhibits. The Space Show in the Hayden Planetarium was awesome as always. The butterfly garden was so cool, and the Invisible Worlds exhibit had my son running around the room for a half hour!! Also the blue whale giant screen 45 minute movie was great. I can’t wait to visit again!

The American Museum of Natural History is one of my favorite museums to visit; with all kinds of amazing artifacts to explore in this museum. Every animal has their own unique details; I find them very interesting and my daughter loves that she could see the dinosaurs bones. I visited this museum as a chaperone for my daughter’s school trip but will happily do so with my other daughter and my husband; during the summer time. I encourage all you wonderful people out there “who love history” to go visit this amazing museum. 🦋💕

The highlight of our visit was the 5 minute Big Bang 💥 video that gives great context to how we fit into the universe. My kids said ‘that was the fastest five minutes ever’ when it was finished. As you exit, you get a feel for how long 13 billion years is as you mark time through the exit path, and it really comes into context when you see how short of an amount of time that is since the dinosaurs were around.
I recommend purchasing tickets ahead of time as well as any attractions you want to add on. The Butterfly Vivarium was one of the best I ever ever seen!
There was also a kids event going on where they handed out free solar car kits! It was a nice little activity for them!

Keep in mind that it can get crowded, so try to go early or on weekdays if possible. Overall, it's a fantastic place to explore and learn about the wonders of our planet and beyond.

It’s only something I feel can be experienced in person. Pictures do not do justice! Central Park was amazing! It’s crazy how you can be in the park and not hear the city at all beside a faint siren, but other than that you almost forget your in a big city…. Walked it from top to bottom and still did not see everything. Plenty of places to sit down and relax and just take it all in…
Listen, if you have ever thought about going… DO IT!! I did a bus trip from Bowman bus services and was not disappointed at all. Make the trip!

Went here a few weeks ago with a few friends because we were in the area for a trip, and it was such a beautiful park television and pictures don’t do it justice at all. The Met is a gigantic art museum located in the heart of New York City that boasts an impressive collection spanning centuries. From ancient Egyptian pieces to cutting-edge contemporary American art, there's something for everyone at The Met. Special exhibitions come and go, so it's always worth checking what's on before you visit.
This has been one of the biggest and one of my favorite museums I’ve visited. In summary, it contains art from all over the world. A large part of the paintings are European. The art includes not just platings but also sculptures and other works of art. Some of the highlights there are a full size Egyptian temple, a weapons and armor gallery, and a diverse Southern Asia gallery with large pieces of art. I would recommend booking tickets in advance and you do have to where a mask everywhere in the museum (except while taking pictures).

One of the best museums that I've ever been to, aside from the Louvre in Paris. It's one of the few places that is always on my list whenever I'm in New York.
The MET is a big museum with lots to see, it's hard to see all the art and artifacts within a day so if you're looking to explore as much of the museum as possible I recommend going early. You can grab a ticket from the ticketing desk when you're there or from the automated kiosk, I highly recommend the automated kiosk since it is much faster.
There's audio guides for the art and artifacts within the MET which I highly recommend, since it gives context to what you're looking at.
The museum is beautifully set up and built, they have permanent and temporary exhibits. Every exhibit is made with such care that you feel as though you're transported back in time. The Chinese courtyard inside the museum is one of my favourites.
I also got a chance to see a lot of beautiful dresses for their fashion week exhibit, which was very tastefully displayed and set up.
I highly recommend the MET for anyone looking to checkout a museum with lots of interesting arts and artifacts! It's definitely an experience like no other.

One of the best museums in the world.
It’s possible for a visitor to spend a day here and have seen something beautiful in a beautiful place. Two days would probably make it feel like it does to me. A familiar, beautiful place. Probably my favorite place to spend time in the City.
It’s quiet and crowded. Special exhibitions are often packed but worth it (show up early).
How kids engage the Met is often something joyful to see.
TIP: if you visit with a local, they can buy tickets for a reduced price. Weekends and Friday evenings are crowded.

It's such a perfectly organized museum with great private galleries, outdoor-looking indoor spaces, and cafes, you get to see a lot and sit down and have a decent coffee or meal. We visited on weekend, and they managed the long line so fast and efficient, I can only say that it speaks to having great management team.

I brought my son to view the Arms and Armor exhibit because he is 10 years old and into medieval knights and swords. We were very impressed by the medieval collection. Such detail and variety and eras. We were also impressed by the Japanese, Chinese, Ottoman, and Syrian collections. I was ready to give this 4 stars or less but, honestly, the museum was so well put together I have to go 5 stars. The collection is incredibly vast but displayed in a way that makes it accessible. The descriptions of the pieces are helpful and thorough. The audio guide (free on your phone) was very helpful as well. We spent 3 hours here and did about 3/4 of the exhibits. I got in free as a military member. Good for families but I imagine younger children will tire quickly. Overall a great experience.

The MET did not disappoint. We recommend going for at least one full day to really take in all of the art work. We felt like we didn’t have enough time with the Art after going for 5 hours. The museum is thoughtfully curated and everything feels super intentional with their design choices. We had the chance to see the Van Gough exhibit that is on view while we were there and it was STUNNING. We also really enjoyed all of the beautiful glass pieces and their extensive stained glass collection that is on display throughout the entire Museum.

Being from India, i thoroughly enjoyed the Ganesha exhibition and Art of Asia section! Roman, middle eastern and European paintings were amazing exhibitions as well!
Will be back to explore different sections!

Per its name, you can tell that this museum is all about art. I decided to go with friends and try the Date Night at the MET. There is honestly not much difference, although I do feel the Zen garden and American Wing is much prettier at night, rather than the day. That said, I recommend coming early to this museum. It is quite large and will take up most of your day. If you just want a quick peak, then grab a map and make sure you plan your route ahead of time. There is a mini floor 1.5, although the stairs is a bit tricky to locate. Nonetheless, feel free to find the areas/topics that fits best for you. I also do not recommend buying tickets in advance as the pay-what-you-wish can only be done in-person. There is practically no wait time, so you should just buy the tickets in-person.

The Met is a world class museum with thousands of pieces of art from all over the world. It’s simply massive! You cannot see it all in one visit, and I think it’s wise to plan ahead of time what you want to see. It’s easy to get a little lost.

I was absolutely awestruck by everything there while I was visiting New York. It is such an amazing experience and the home to such beautiful art. It is the pinnacle of art and history, with its rich array of artwork from various cultures, regions, and historical periods. I literally was in the museum all day, but there was still exhibits to be seen; however, they were closed for renovations. I personally could just live there. I will advise to purchase tickets in advance and the line through the main entrance can get pretty long.

Fantastic way to spend an afternoon. So much history and amazing works of art all throughout. Avoid the MASSIVE ticket lines by buying online or using the mobile kiosk by the Egyptian section entrance. There are also some spots to grab a quick snack or drink that are beautifully hidden so as to not be distracting. Most visitors are respectful and there are employees at every corner. Be sure to visit every exhibit and area! There are great pieces in the American and European paintings but also the Greek and Roman sculptures and Asian works of art. Truly a massive display of artistic history!

Such a grand museum with so many things to see - you should consider spending an entire day here or prioritize the exhibitions you'd like to see because it is A LOT. The tickets are free if you are from New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.
The MET has such a huge and impressive reputation, and I feel like it delivers. I know their Egyptian exhibition is one of the most comprehensive and oldest but it makes me sad to think that all these artifacts were taken from their original homes in Egypt. There was a special exhibit comparing Egyptian and African artifacts which was very interesting to see the juxtaposition between the two. The elevator to the rooftop is relatively secluded and hard to find but the view is stunning as you can see a beautiful NY skyline from their rooftop.

Absolutely loved my visit to the MET! This museum is a gem in New York City. The Byzantium exhibition was captivating, and exploring the ancient Egypt, Greece, and Rome sections was like traveling back in time.
The only disappointment was that the European Painting section was closed during my visit, but with such an extensive collection, there's always something new to discover.
The MET is a must-visit for anyone in New York who appreciates history and culture.

We went to The Met on Friday afternoon, and it was busy, but not packed.
The museum was incredible!! It was a really immersive experience with several vignettes/rooms and life-size exhibits set up and countless beautiful artifacts and works of art. The museum flowed really well and had some really unique pieces. I would highly recommend a visit to The Met during your time in NYC.

Definitely one of the top museums in the country to visit. Well done organization, an unbelievable amount of artifacts from different cultures and eras, and learned a lot along the way. The modern art painting section is probably the weakest part. It’s hard to get to everything, and if you only have 3 hours or less, make the modern section your last visit.

As a native New Yorker, I love coming to this Museum. I’ve been here numerous times and keep coming back. It is a very educational experience!! The museum is vast and hosts Art from different regions of the world. If you are visiting New York, I highly recommend visiting this place. Bring the kids as well.

The Met Museum is amazing. You could spend two full days in here and still not see everything. There are so many different great eras in history covered, something for everyone.
The App is very helpful, it gives you a full map of all if the floors and areas within the museum. It also tells you a little about each area... My best advice is to arrive as soon after opening as possible.

Very cool museum, but be warned - it's gigantic! Took my 10 and 13 year old, we made it about 4 hours and didn't see close to everything. There is food available and several restrooms. We found it hard to use the map to get around, but there are lots of helpful staff members.

Being a native of New York, I enjoy visiting this museum. I keep returning here despite my many visits. It's a really instructive experience! The large museum features artwork from all across the world. I really advise going here if you're ever in New York. Bring the youngsters along as well.
Jacob Riis Park is a beloved destination located at the eastern end of Queens, near the abandoned Neponsit Hospital. It has been a safe haven for the LGBTQIA+ community since the 1940s and is known as "the people's beach." The park features a wide stretch of sandy beach where tops are optional, making it a popular sunbathing spot. Visitors can explore adjacent green spaces and visit the historic Art Deco bathhouse, which dates back to 1932.
We love Jacob Riis Beach! The parking is really easy if you get there in the morning but by noon there’s a line to get in. The bathrooms are clean and there’s a playground for the kids. Part of the beach is closed off for restoration now but there’s still a good amount of space.
Kate Schutzengel — Google review
Should have a season pass holder line to the parking lot for expedited access.
Complete center section of the beach is closed. No food or drink options on east end of the beach. Half of the parking lot on east end is closed
Our beach is not what it was . Have been coming for over 30 years. What happened to our beach. For years this was a 4.5+ beach.

You should visit Jacob Riis Park for its unique combination of natural beauty, recreational opportunities, and historical significance.
The park's beaches are a great place to relax and enjoy the sun, and the surrounding landscape offers scenic views. It's an excellent spot for picnics, beach volleyball, and other outdoor activities.
The historic bathhouse adds a touch of nostalgia, and the park's connection to Jacob Riis' important work in social reform makes it even more meaningful.
The beauty of the park, the relaxing beach atmosphere, and the chance to connect with history all make for a memorable and enjoyable visit.

Riis Beach is a true hidden gem in New York City for the sense of liberation and acceptance one feels here. It is beautiful to see all types of people living their best lives so happy and free. I was in the LGBTQIA+ section at the end of the beach and I would comeback here for the community, view, ambiance, and strong waves. Many women are topless and men are scantily dressed. The music is happy pop and I bopped from Britney Spears to Whitney Houston. The water is a bit murky, but the strong waves make it very entertaining. I recommend swimming in front of the lifeguard if you are not a strong swimmer and not going in too deep for obvious safety reasons. There is a food cart and it seemed reasonably priced at $6. I wish I had something to eat before partaking in all the festivities!

My most favorite place in the world - the Beach. I've been coming here for many many years. It's local to me and having a playground is a bonus with a few areas to grill. It's much easier to walk to the beach if you're lugging beach equipment. It's my GO TO beach. Only thing is when summer is around expect to pay for parking. But the beach does provide a huge lot and it gets packed fast!
Minire Seferaj — Google review
I know this beach is LGBT friendly and I have nothing against it, but topless women walking around children is overkill. It's de not a nudist beach though. With children, I recommend visiting in the morning, in the late afternoon there are too many loud drunken companies.

Love Jacob Riis Beach! Best times are around 3 o’clock—stay and watch the sunset. Jellyfish are present this August; harmless, but creepy! Parking cost $20.

My 3rd favorite beach in NYC, it’s such a family vibe that makes you feel like you are elsewhere. It’s like a Long Island beach meets Manhattan beach vibe. The sunsets here are incredible and there is a lot of activity available, basketball courts, golf course, bike paths, etc! Lifeguards on duty at this beach

It was a nice visit. A older guy and I got into a long conversation about all of Rockaway over the time. It happened when he heard the Drone and happen to see it for a sec along the Grass along the walk. He was like what kind of bird is that?! After a long LoL! We spoke of everything from the 60's to Sandy to current issues.

A nice place to sit and meditate. Not a lot of people there this time of year. And it was clean, except for the clam shells left behind by the seagulls.🤣

Nice clean beach. But the water is freezing cold. They do have lots of bathrooms, but there’s no convenient store. They only have 5 spots to eat inside a little food court. Be ready to pay $18 per person for food there. But apart from that’s it’s nice.

Jacob Riis Park, located in the borough of Queens in New York City, is a beloved seaside destination known for its expansive beachfront and historical significance. Often referred to as “The People’s Beach,” Jacob Riis Park features a beautiful sandy beach along the Atlantic Ocean, complemented by the iconic Art Deco bathhouse. Established in 1912 and later becoming part of the Gateway National Recreation Area, the park offers a variety of recreational activities, including swimming, picnicking, and sports facilities. Its rich history includes serving as a naval air station during World War I and being the site of the first transatlantic flight’s departure in 1919. Today, it continues to be a popular spot for New Yorkers and visitors alike, seeking respite from the city’s hustle and bustle.

Love it! It was absolutely worth the drive. It took us one hour and 45 minutes from Philadelphia. There was lots of parking, the bathroom was clean, and the beach was clean. Essex Steam Train & Riverboat offers a guided tour of the historic sites in Connecticut River Valley, allowing visitors to customize their experience with options like a combined steam-train and riverboat tour, or just a train or riverboat tour. The tours cater to both families and adults, with the popular Dinner Train being a favorite. The location is easily accessible from I95 with ample parking available. Visitors can also explore nearby attractions such as Surfridge Brewing Co.
We did the Winter Warmer Lunch train and had a wonderful time. The food was great! The servers and staff were very friendly and we enjoyed the scenic views from the train!

This was an excellent afternoon adventure! It helped that we had a perfect weather day with a nice breeze. But the train trip was just lovely with some very pretty views.. And then the boat trip was just wonderful. Nice and relaxing with good music and good stuff to look at.
We were a party of 5 with 2 teenagers visiting from out of state. The 2 teenagers acted too cool for this the entire time but they did actually enjoy it. They liked the snack bar on the boat the best. But us adults really enjoyed the weather and the scenery and the ride. I enjoyed hearing the history of both the train and the river.
Bring water bottle.

I love going on trains and this is one of my favorites now! We paid the little extra to stay in the first class Pullman car. The seats were all swivel recliners and they served drinks!! We then went on the train and got on the steamboat before returning to the train and back to the station. What a great trip! Will definitely do it again next time that we are in the area!

Awesome experience for any steam train lover. Kids and adults will enjoy the day here. I suggest the 1st class car because of the many signature drinks that they serve. The river boat ride is long and if the weather is nice it adds to an already amazing day.

We went on Memorial Day, and it was a beautiful day. I recommend buying tickets in advance online. Make sure to arrive 30 mins before departure because you have to pick up your tickets at the ticket booth. Coach tickets are $45, and first-class tickets are $60. You can purchase food and drinks on the riverboat, and the food is reasonably priced. Will definitely do this again !

Booking an Essex Steam Train & Riverboat tour is an easy add-on for a day exploring this area. It's really satisfying, while still leaving you time in your day to do other things. You don't need to be there ridiculously early, but plan accordingly. I actually went to the wrong starting location first and almost missed it because of that. If you don't see the large admissions building, you're in the wrong place. The train is fun, but goes through a lot of forest, so there isn't much to look at. The boat portion offers more satisfying views. Bring warm clothes so you can enjoy the open deck views. On my tour, we saw bald eagles, cormorants, an osprey nest and nice views of Gillette Castle splashed in autumn colors. Admission was very reasonable for this type of venue and books up fast when there's something special like holiday focused tours coming up.

I purchased 2 tickets for the dinner train to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday and it was definitely one of the best birthday gifts I’ve ever thought of. This is a leisurely, luxury train ride that travels along the coast of the river. It was so nice, peaceful, and romantic that I think I’ll start coming back every year.
The food was just ok (Can’t expect much. It’s a train, not a 5 star restaurant). They served bread with butter, a small vegetable platter, a salad, an entree, a choice of two desserts and then coffee/tea service at the end. The dessert with tea were my personal favorite. Alcoholic drinks are also available but you have to pay separately, of course. They accept card for the drinks if you don’t have cash and you can tip on the card as well.
The scenery was lovely. The ride starts early enough that it’s still bright out and you get to see a clear view of the boats and the swamp. About halfway through, after the sun has set over the water, you start to head back and you can see everything at night as well. Unfortunately for us, we didn’t get a table next to the river so our view was obstructed by the group next to us but it was still nice.
Overall, it was a great time and I’d recommend it to anyone and everyone.

It was a nice ride. What made it more enjoyable was Peter who was our conductor. His smile was contagious and his desire to share his knowledge of steam engines was admirable. The day we went it was really hot, and it's not an air conditioned ride. But, overall a very memorable experience.

Beautiful place. They sold out quickly so buy your tickets when you decide to go. There was a wedding going on so my husband and I took a lot of pictures of the trains that were not in use. The ride is not rushed and this includes the boat.

What a great way to escape the fast paced world and go back in time.
Easy access from I95, plenty of parking on property and they stay on schedule so plan accordingly.
Their web site details the options for various experiences.
Some trips catering to families and others to adults.
My favorite is their Dinner Train.
There is a well stocked gift shop, clean bathrooms and a fairly tiny snack shop.
If you want to have a meal before or after your trip I’d suggest giving the Surfridge Brewing Co next door.
We opted for the very comfortable First Class Car where they will serve you signature cocktails, beer or wine. Well worth the upgrade with all window views from your verity comfortable swivel plush seat.

The kids had a blast! Walking up to the train was great all in itself. The steam/smoke coming out made for a great show. My son was amazed. The main house was warm and cozy. You can purchase coffee, snacks, wine, and beer. You can't bring alcohol on the train, but if you purchase/rent the D car, they serve drinks.

The Essex Steam Train and Riverboat offered a delightful experience. The scenic journey aboard the steam train combined with the riverboat cruise was both picturesque and relaxing. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly, providing interesting insights throughout the trip. The historical charm of the steam train added a unique touch, and the riverboat cruise offered serene views. Overall, a well-organized and enjoyable excursion suitable for all ages. What a fun day trip, great for train and riverboat enthusiasts, as well as history buffs & nature lovers (we enjoyed bald eagles, nesting osprey, egret, and blue heron sightings) narrated with local historical information. You can do just the train, just the boat or the combo as we did. They have special events as well, circus under the stars on the Becky Thatcher riverboat, and dinner events on either the train or the riverboat… well worth it🇺🇸

Had a fun time on the old Steam Train and River Boat Ride. We went on a rainy day and enjoyed the trip anyway. On rainy days, the picture taking isn't so great but we enjoyed a relaxing day nonetheless. The train ride takes you to the Connecticut River where you'll climb on board the river boat for a fun ride up there river and back. We saw the Gillette Castle and several bald eagles. You'll board the train again and head back to the station. Great trip back to yesteryear.

Embarking on the Essex Clipper Dinner Train, we were welcomed into much more than a mere dining experience; it was a dive into the opulent embrace of the Golden Twenties. Despite the relentless downpour outside, which under typical conditions might have de-railed our spirits, the evening advanced splendidly on track, buoyed by an ambiance that echoed a Great Gatsby-esque dinner party. The warm welcome from the staff, who were not only friendly but also rich in knowledge, set the tone for the enchanting evening ahead. Right from the start, we were whisked back in time, with the meticulously restored Pullman car serving as a splendid venue for a memorable evening. Complemented by the vibrant tunes of swing and foxtrot, which captured the exuberance of the Roaring Twenties, and an exquisite selection of drinks, the stage was impeccably set for a culinary spectacle. The four-course meal that ensued was nothing short of spectacular, justifying every cent spent. The delicious fare and the carefully curated atmosphere ensured that our spirits remained high, completely unaffected by the gloom outside. This Dinner Train stands as a tribute to an era when glamour knew no bounds, proving that some experiences are indeed too captivating to be "stationary."

If you have not had this experience you are not living. An unbelievable glimpse back in time. Food-5 stars, service- 100 stars if that were an option. As you enter you will be awestruck, white linen table cloths with apps and your salad plated. The train car made me feel like I should have worn a 3 piece suit with a derby from the 1920’s. The only downside was the conductor constantly interrupting conversations and dinner with useless information. FYI he cut his grass twice a week this year. Unneeded which took away from the experience. But still 5 stars, we are booking again tonight and I would highly implore you to do the same. Hands down one of the coolest experiences I have had. Bravo to the staff, your level of service left nothing to be expected. Restaurants worldwide should be trained by you. Thanks for a great night out celebrating my mother in law’s 70th. I night I shall never forget.
40+ life-sized dinosaurs over 60 acres, with nature trails, a splash pad & a dino-themed playground.
This place is the ideal spot to bring you Dino obsessed kiddo. It was so fun walking down the path and then you come upon a life-size dinosaur. It was so well thought out. The splash pad was so fun, and the play ground was great as well. Mini golf, train, and race cars are extra. Everything is clean and well maintained. We will most definitely be back.

It was a fun experience! Better suited for older children I believe so you can enjoy the mini golf and etc. Food was shut down. With everything that was shut down it wasn't worth the 28 bucks a person but our 3 year old was happy so we were happy as well. We will go again in a few years when he is a little older.

Our visit to Dinosaur Place at Nature's Art Village in Montville on a hot summer day was an absolute blast! We had a great time exploring the trails and encountering life-sized dinosaurs along the way. After working up an appetite, we enjoyed a tasty lunch at the snack bar and cooled off in the splash pad. And what better way to end the day than with some delicious ice cream? It was the perfect combination of adventure and relaxation.

We visited the Dinosaur Place for the first time today with our 4 year old and 2.5 year old and we all had an incredible time. The T Rex tower and playground were really fun for them and they loved the dinosaur statues and animatronics. The walking trail was fun and engaging but not too long or strenuous. They also loved the maze and toddler mini golf. The staff was friendly and attentive, especially Charles at the mini golf. It was absolutely worth the price of admission and we will be back!

Probably best for the 3-5 year old set. Couple small exhibits and a long, easy, shaded, stroller friendly hiking trail with interactive fossil replicas and life size dinosaur models. Huge, very nice playground and a large splash pad as well. Bring water shoes as they are mandatory (although they do sell them there as well). They have food, basically kiddie fare and picnic tables.

My kids absolutely loved the Dinosaur place. The beautiful nature trail path has tons of dinosaurs. You can learn about dinosaur facts and they had some fun guess what I am boxes along the trail that my kids were thrilled to see. The play area and splash pads were huge. The gem shop next door is also a great place to visit. It had an excellent selection of minerals and gems. My kids did the jackpot mine and found an awesome collection of unique gemstones. Had a blast with my 20 month old and almost 7 year old! They loved walking around to see all the dinosaurs. The maze was fun along with the slides, and the splash pad was a HUGE hit. It's really clean and big. They also have a food area located next to the splash pad/giant playground, so you can order the basic grill stuff like cheese burgers, fries, dino nuggets, and other things. Would highly recommend for a fun, full day family adventure! Also, you must bring everything in with you since there is no reentry! So bring a backpack and a wagon/stroller to carry everything you need!

Took my (almost) 6 year old granddaughter. She had a lot of fun. I thought there would be more age appropriate stuff to learn about dinosaurs, but for her, it was all about the splash pad, maze, and playgrounds. She also loved the erupting volcano. Lots of fun for a hot afternoon! (Plus there's free parking)

They do a good job. A nice walk through a spooky forest starts the adventure then ends in a play area with inflatables, games, food, and smores. The walk along the river is great with lights, pumpkins, all things halloween and of course dinos. It's not too long that the youngest walkers can't do it, but has little inlets that it will keep older kids looking at all the little things to see. All in all, a good time and the staff was great.

A wonderful experience! We wanted to visit the Dinosaur State Park while we were in the area, but it was closed. So glad we found this as a back up! The kids had so much fun here. The splash pad was a big hit, they didn't want to leave! The dinosaur path was great. We did that first so they could cool off after the walk. My only reason for not giving 5 stars is there were only 2 people working, and they had to sell tickets, and do the ice cream counter, so the ice cream took awhile after we ordered it. But it was a fun day!

Forested aerial park featuring zip lines, bridges & climbing challenges for all levels, age 7 & up.
Great park for tree adventures, climbing ladders and ropes and going down zip lines. Well established and organized, well designed, built and maintained. Fun for both kids and adults, several options for the right level of challenge.
We visited on a summer Sunday, it was not too crowded so the lines were not long. The staff was professional, kind and friendly, more personable than in other places (they even take pictures of guests' pets and post them on a board, that's really nice).
It's in the middle of the woods, so the restrooms are portable and there's no running water. They provide drinking water in small cups, but you may wanna bring water bottles also to wash your hands. They provide lockers (bring a lock) and they have trash and recycling bins.
The ticket is for 3 hours, which is just enough time to do several courses (it takes fitness and stamina to keep going for longer). I wish they also sold tickets for one hour or a single course, to allow parents to share the experience without pushing themselves too much if they're not comfortable.
Very good experience overall :-)

Absolutely amazing experience (second time at the park). Staff is very knowledgeable, professional and friendly. They worked very well with an 8 year old that struggled on one of the courses and assisted her off the course in a very professional and caring manner. They even acknowledged her hard work and determination by letting her grab an ice cream which was very courteous. Definitely will go again. The UCONN Dairy Bar is an excellent post course activity as well

So I just wa t to say it was my first time with my daughter and my niece and nephew and we loved the glow in the dark zip lining!! The music was fantastic and the workers were extremely helpful!! I want to give a specific shout out to an employee named Jordan. He was very helpful and has the upper body strength of a god! We were extremely grateful after getting stuck on one of the obstacles he came and carried us back one at a time and it’s not easy at all! He was patient and very nice to us all the way and while my 9 year old was scared out of her mind crying he made sure to make her feel as comfortable as possible and I appreciated that so much! So would I recommend? Absolutely yes 10/10

We've been to the Adventure Park at Storrs three times and each time has been a blast! The courses are thrilling and accessible for all skill levels. Each increasing difficulty level forces you to challenge yourself to get outside of your comfort zone. You will be amazed at what you are capable of. The staff here is great! On this last visit my son and I challenged ourselves on a harder course and found that one element simply required longer legs than my son had to get across. When we called out "STAFF!!" Jason came to our aid super quick. He gave us the option to lower my son down or pull him across a nearby cable to a subsequent element. We opted to have him pulled across. Jason warned us that the next one was tricky and stayed with us until we got across it to make sure we didn't need more assistance. He was very kind and answered all of my son's questions about the course showing his passion and dedication. We love this place and will definitely be visiting again.

This place was awesome! Staff was so welcoming and helpful. We will be back again. The lower course for younger kids kept my little one occupied for over and hour and half. Very affordable. Very well maintained course and landscape. I wish I had known how many picnic tables were located throughout the park-i would love to bring lunch next time.

What a great experience! I'm afraid of heights, but wanted to do this with my husband. The staff were all friendly and supportive. Best date day ever! Neither of us had any experience and I was initially worried because I have terrible arm strength. We were able to easily do the 3 green courses. Then we were feeling daring and tried the harder of the two blues (Witch Hazel). It definitely is what I needed to push myself physically and mentally. There were moments I wanted to give up, but persevered until the end! My husband, of course made it look easy. It's the day after and we're both feeling some sore muscles. Can't wait to go back again.

The more we go, the more confident we become! My son had his "summer" birthday party here yesterday and we just love the park and the courses. The whole experience was fabulous and fun. We all want to give Luis a super shout out, he was the star of the day and for our climbing party! Climbing courses are all about finding your edge and your limits and for our crew of kids, this was a full day of that. Luis was kind, encouraging, and super supportive when a couple of our kids hit their limits. He climbed right up there and offered words of encouragement and emotional support - he was even there to guide our kids across an element when they became physically stuck, more than once. We felt totally safe with Luis and could see he was a master of the elements and totally awesome with kids. We can't thank him enough, we so appreciate his kindness and his expertise and feel really grateful that he was working the same day as our visit. We can't wait to come back!
Mystic Seaport Museum is a museum in Mystic CT that creates a 19th century whaling village in the former George Greenman & Co Shipyard. It has exhibits of traditional crafts and trades, demonstrations on such topics as ship rescue, oystering and whaleboat launching, and many artifacts from the past. The site is open year-round and provides a great opportunity for learning about maritime history.
Amazing place to learn about old ships and whaling industry. Very fun for kids and plenty of space for them to run around. Great level of access to ships and buildings

We had a wonderful experience at the museum! Quite a lot to see and do! We enjoyed the Charles W Morgan boat, the blacksmith shop (the gentleman in there was awesome. Very informative!), the cord building, and the boat tour. All the staff we interacted with was very friendly and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend this for families. We saw people of all ages enjoying the exhibits.

I did not expect to have such a wonderful time at this place. Staff is very friendly, and they are actively working in the houses throughout the village. You can see ships being maintained, food being cooked, coast guard personnel learning blacksmith techniques, and more. There are plenty of exhibits for kids to include an area to have them build a Toy Ship, a planetarium, a kids museum, playground, and acres to run around and be loud. For adults there are ships to board, curated museums full of history and much more. After you pay your ticket fee you have 19 acres and 40 buildings to explore, to include a gift shop, restaurant, and plenty of public restrooms available. There is a north and south entrance, each with plenty of parking available for free. This is the best thing I've done in area, and would gladly come back!

Amazing place. Spent a whole day there with our 3 kids. Great exhibitions, fun on ships. Educational and fun workshops all around.

I recommend buying tickets online to avoid any waiting. Also, combining Mystic Aquarium with Mystic Seaport museum and village is cheaper than buying tickets separately.
It's a very interesting place, where you could easily spend at least 3 hours. There is a LOT to see - you can visit any house in the village and see how they lived and worked, talk to the people who demonstrate different types of work that was done in the village (making huge ropes, boats, medicines, watches and clocks, etc). I liked the whaling museum! I loved how they told us about printing!
The lighthouse inside had a movie, telling a story of lighthouses in America.
And much much more...
Definitely recommend to visit! Great place for families with kids!

What a wonderful museum. Stopped here by chance when driving by and couldn’t be happier. The town is amazingly cute and the museum is easily the best I’ve ever seen. Just down the road a bit from mystic seaport and the whaling ships this place is a must see. Clean and expansive with incredible artwork and artifacts. It includes four full whale skeletons (including sadly a baby) and a plethora of whaling artifacts. The piece de resistance for this museum the scrimshaw room. I’m a fan and fairly knowledgeable and have seen what I suspected was the largest collection in the world this is even bigger. It has to be the largest single collection in the world. Just the accessories made of whale bone were extensive but there was an endless number of incredible scrimshaw teeth by all of the best known artists of the whaling period. You will never see such a collection anywhere else in the world and at the value these fetch there will never be a bigger collection built. If you are in cape cod area and have an interest in healing bring your family here. Even at a fast pace this place has hours of enjoyment for everyone.

100% worth the trip!
When going to the museum, I wasn’t sure what to expect.
This museum is sprawled out on about 19 acres and over 20 something or 30 I don’t know buildings. It is massive!
A very cool experience, and great for the whole family!
Staff was amazing

It’s a great place to learn lots of history. Well preserved museum town. Initially I thought I wasted spending for this place. But as I enter each museum rooms, it was very interesting. Great way to learn about the past of a port town. Lovely demonstration by the volunteers in each stall. Worth the visit. Needs at least 4 hrs to cover. Easily you can spend whole day.

Mystic Seaport Museum is a great place to visit. Very historical and very educational. Lots of good preserved old ships and buildings. For sure you can taste pure history. Free parking lot on the side, adult admission about 25$. Restaurant and gift shop. Highly recommended

We absolutely loved everything about this wonderful museum within museum. So many fascinating little sea cottages, each telling their own story. A few little nosh places, opportunities for boat rides on the Bay, a make your own wooden boat bungalow, so much to learn and see! Make sure to give it all day! And you can come back within the next 7 days with your receipt!!!

Great place to spend an afternoon. I really enjoyed the extras that change with the days. We saw a fish cleaning demo and it was really interesting. The big band live music the day we visited really drew a crowd of locals. Bringing your own chairs is a good idea if you're coming for the music. Lots to see all in one visit, I can see why the tickets are valid for two days. If you come on a nice day, you can take row boats out and for a small extra fee get a ride on an old ship. But go book that right away or it will be filled up.

This is a really neat seaport to check out, just make sure to give yourself plenty of time to walk around, there's a lot to see! I enjoyed the way they laid it out and how you can walk around at your own pace to the various buildings and museums. The exhibits themselves are also set up really well to tell you a story as you walk through. Very well done. My only issue was that besides the staff you see when you buy tickets to get in, there were no other staff walking around or in any of the museums. So if you had any questions or wanted to know more, you were on your own. I'm not sure if that changes once tourist season starts, but it was the biggest thing I noticed. There were also a few exhibits that were closed when I went.
Alice Beamer — Google review
Mystic Seaport Museum is a snapshot of a moment in time, a look back at the era of whaling, and a reality check of just how recently that era faded into the past. The historic buildings are beautiful. The amount of care that went into that architecture is wild. Most of the buildings are authentically from the 1800s, including some that have been moved onto the grounds from other locations in the northeast. The result is stepping into a time capsule of the heyday of the whaling era.
The "Museum" is active and alive, with regular demonstrations of things like their mid-1800s blacksmithing shop, their original printing press, and even demonstrations of things like rope making. The volunteers are well-informed, friendly, and happy to teach you something new. Make sure you check out the daily calendar to find out what demonstrations will be going on that day. I do wish they had printouts of the day's schedule instead of just telling you to take a picture of the sign. (Tip: Make sure you favorite that picture before it gets buried in your pictures of the museum!)
The whaling ship is gorgeous, truly a special piece of history. The lower deck still kind of smells... Like whale guts. Ninety years of whale guts. I can't imagine having been on that ship when it was in use. Make sure you stop to read the signs explaining things, you'll learn a lot. The firefighting boat was closed inside when we went, but it was still really cool to look at from the outside.
Most of your museum day will have you walking around outside, going from building to building with minimal shade. Make sure you wear sunscreen, bring plenty of water, and plan on a very active day. There is a cafe, but it's at the far end of the grounds and not exactly intuitive to get to early-on in your day unless you skip past a bunch of stuff and double back.
That said, I do have a few caveats for visitors with different accessibility needs, including people who use mobility devices like wheelchairs or canes, people who tire quickly (including the elderly or small kids), and parents with strollers.
1, It's a LOT of ground to cover. It's really spread out. Be prepared for a lot of movement or plan on spending two days if you want to see everything.
2, They've done their best to adapt some of the buildings to be accessible, but most of the buildings (and ships) date to the 1800s and there's only so much they can adapt a lot of that architecture. So a lot of things, like the whaling ship (arguably the main attraction) remain inaccessible to wheelchairs, walkers, & strollers. As it is, I was only just barely able to navigate some of the staircases with my cane.
3, Use the bathrooms when you come across them. They're spaced out weirdly and not the easiest to find when you're looking for them.
4, The entrance is nowhere near the exit. It doesn't matter whether you park by the entrance or the exit, expect a long trip at one end of your day. We parked by the entrance. In retrospect, we should have parked by the exit.
Still, overall it's definitely worth checking out and there's definitely a lot of things to fill your day with!

There's so much to see here! Dress for the cold if you need to, because there's a lot to explore outside. You can easily spend many hours, or even a couple of days here, so give yourself some time to visit properly. The staff seem happy and are clearly enthusiastic about the museum and whatever area they specialize in. Exhibits include salvage and restoration projects, living history demonstrations, art and science, etc. There is some food services available inside, but I didn't stop at any. Holiday decor is classy and gave me ideas for my own historic home.

The museum is located on a beautiful piece of land. I'm surprised they open up at 10 am, especially during the summertime. My daughter and I had a wonderful time. I recommend offering a 21 and over hours only event, maybe once a month. Many individuals who were at the museum didn't seem like they enjoyed the sound of kids laughing and having fun.

Located in Mystic, Connecticut, Olde Mistick Village is an outdoor shopping mall with shops, boutiques, eateries and seasonal events. It is decorated in a throwback village setting and features two seasonal events each December - the Holiday Carnival and the breathtakingly beautiful Festival of Lights.
I always love coming here. Every season is beautiful. We came here to do some Christmas shopping and see the lights. It was beautiful and festive. The shops are great and so many to pick from. Lots of variety. Its pet friendly also. There are some great restaurants here to try out. It's worth coming here for shopping and to have lunch or dinner.

We always drive to the Village when we visit Mystic. It isn't far away at all and has all kinds of neat shops and restaurants. There is plenty of parking and you are right by I-95 so if you come here after visiting Mystic you don't have to drive back through town and across the drawbridge to leave. It makes for an easier exit from the area in my opinion. They are beside a gas station with a DD and a Dominos inside as well as a McDonald's next door if you are looking to fuel up and eat cheap before you hit the highway.

This place was so fun! We went over 3 times on a 3 day trip to Mystic! The location is great, right next to the aquarium. It's not a town like I thought, but a shopping center made to look like an old village. It was quaint and had the most unique shops and restaurants! We ate at the Jealous Monk. Awesome beer and kielbasa with sauerkraut. Great outdoor seating and atmosphere. The next day my kids and I headed to the Cloak and Wand shop (SO FUN to get your own drinkable potions!) and we hit up the Toy Soldier toyshop, and The Boardwalk which has great kitchy gifts and candy and they also serve food. It closes early, at 6pm, so we had to finish up the next day. There's a great personalization shop, chocolate shop, honey/olive oil/vinegar/pasta shop, and my husband loved the beef jerky experience store. The shops are so unique and there are tons of them. I popped into the Alice in the Village shop which is like Alice in Wonderland, and next door is Alice's Haunted book shop. There's plenty of parking all around, it's easily walkable, and so eclectic. I didn't think the prices were too bad, and there are public bathrooms on one end. It was a wonderful place to shop and spend some time. We'd definitely enjoy going again!

It’s been some time since I’ve been back in the area and also gone to mystic village and I had mixed feelings. Definitely a eclectic mix of stores. Some felt old and tired a few we’re familiar and interesting and one stood out as original.
Arijsu “A curious place”is by far the most interesting and unique store by far and not even listed on the webite🤨 Anime comes to life in this store and they even carry Japanese food products I had never seen before.
Franklin general store is a fun place to explore.. the fact that they do not allow any samples for there $$$ priced nuts and fudge means we did not buy any.
Deviant donuts… while they look like pieces of artwork, they were very over priced and overly doughy and lacking fillings and flavor.
Other than “pop on the block popcorn” The lack of samples from the beef jerky store every other store selling fudges and the like was disappointing. I know longer spend $$$ on things when I have no idea of their flavor or quality.
The cloak and Wand felt like a confusing mix of Harry Potter and Salem witchery… I did say it was eclectic.
With same day delivery from Amazon I honestly kind of expect more from shops..

Great place to visit and shop around at various stores. Sticky Situation, the glass jewelry place, extra virgin olive oil, and Munson's chocolate are all great places. The area around Christmas time takes new life and is a joy to experience. They had llamas roaming the grounds, which was so cool. Will always visit when I am in the area!

Not only for you, but your children, your puppies, your partner, your grandparents, your whoever will find something for themselves here!!!
Also, it's literally next to the Mystic Aqarium (hellooo beluga! 🐳)! It couldn't be a more perfect outing. There is also a hilton garden inn (one of my favorite "chains" directly across the street)!

Wedding photographer's perspective: Olde Mistick Village is such an awesome location for engagement, couple's, or family photos. Recently, I've had a few wedding couples of mine request to have their sessions there.
And for good reason: it's a photogenic spot and provides ample opportunity to take things slow because of the great businesses which reside there.
As a local, I've always loved going. My wife and I enjoy bringing our family there, especially to get our favorite pizza at Mango's.

Spent a nice Friday here with my daughter. They had a dinosaur exhibit that was free that day so we got to explore that which I'll say was awesome, so many interactive games for kids and a playground inside. If it wasn't free that day we wouldn't have spent the extra to experience it however it made it such a unique visit (after I've been there about 4x now) so I'm glad it was an option and I'll likely think twice next time about spending the extra.

We arrived early which was good because the parking lot is fairly small for how high the demand is. It was $44 per person but you can spend all day there. My first time at this aquarium, and it was amazing how they had plenty of rental wheelchairs, and most tanks were easily viewed from that level.
It was a lot of walking, and I have a number of injuries still healing. I was grateful for the option of using the wheelchair like a walker or sitting and being pushed when needed.
We LOVED the mermaid exhibit! My only comment would be that I ended up waiting in line twice because the woman sending people to wait at various windows sent my brother and I (our group) and then asked if it was okay if another group joined. I said I had waited half an hour to have the experience and to get a picture. She added three kids to our window anyway and the mermaid didn’t interact with my brother and I at all, just the kids. We got no picture and had to go back in line for another one.
Adults like mermaids too!!! By the time we got in like the second time I did get to interact with the mermaid but not a good picture because my brother had given up and was sitting across the way.
I was just disappointed is all. He came all the way from NY for this. We were so excited, and we just wanted to be treated like equals with the kids, in terms of wanting the experience.

I was thinking of going somewhere fairly close , within an hours ride, to do something out of the ordinary. I came up with the Mystic Aquarium. I brought my 17yr old son along. I wasn't sure ifhe would still enjoy it as an older teenager but he really liked it, not in a way that a young child would but with a more scientific point of view as well as a healthy dose of teenage boy gross humor describing various fish and animals.
Gross descriptions aside, it's a great place to go to see fish from all over the world as well as the displays of local fish and wildlife.
There are outdoor exhibits with seals, penguins and Beluga whales. Indoors it has interactive exhibits ,where you can "pet" some of the fish as well as an outdoor tent where you can pet some Cow nose rays.
There is also a California sea lion show which was both fun and educational.
You can take your time while there but you have to purchase tickets in advance for a specific time. If you just show up like I did they have kiosks where you can pick a time and buy your tickets . Luckily for us there were openings for the time that we got there so we were able to go right in. It's such a big place that it probably could accommodate you when you get there but if you want to be safe I would go online and purchase in advance.
Masks are required indoors so make sure you bring one.
We spent about 2and 1/2 hours there which was enough time to see the exhibits and a show but I would have liked an extra half hour to an hour to go thru the exhibits a little more slowly.
We got there at 130 and it closed early(4pm) because it was New Years Eve.
I would allow about three hours to see it all especially if you have small children in tow.
All in all a great experience! Enjoy!

A very cute aquarium! The prices have gone up immensely but I know they are an intricate part to supporting and maintaining marine wildlife off our New England coasts.
I wish the signage to the marine life had said where they were from. We love learning about where each animal comes from and there are not enough verbiage to educate.
The staff needs to have a stronger voice to the ignorant and blatantly irresponsible patronage who do not follow the rules. Washing your hands, using the two finger pet rule and avoiding certain areas of the petting pools is so dang important. Repeating the rules in a passive aggressive manner does not make people listen. Back bones and strong representation to the aquarium recommended.
Otherwise, a beautiful clean aquarium for the public to be enjoy. Kid friendly. Handicapable friendly. Educational to a point thanks to the staff.

It's decent size and nice for a visit. We had a pleasant time. You have to buy time slot tickets either at the door or possibly online. We were unaware and had to wait two hours before we could enter. We grabbed lunch and walked around Mystic Village which was enjoyable.
It is very crowded most days so expect to be in the vicinity of others. Don't expect to immediately be able to experience an exhibit without first having to wait and take turns with other patrons.
The animals seem generally happy. The exhibits are clean and the aquariums are too. It's difficult to truly get a full learning experience because of the crowds however the staff is mostly knowledgeable.
There are interactive areas for children, information hubs for different exhibits, and a few regionally themed aquariums that were interesting.
We paid extra for the dino exhibit. It was interesting with life sized robotic dinosaurs. If you have experienced something like this before it's probably similar to what you have experienced albeit it was nicely done.
Overall if you've never been to an aquarium this is a decent experience. I probably won't go again just because of the crowds, it made it difficult to enjoy what they had to offer. Four stars because they do what they do pretty well but for me it wasn't anything I haven't experienced somewhere before.

If you're going to go more than once, which I recommend, just get a membership. Tourist season in Mystic is impossible for any reason, and the aquarium is no exception, but it's definitely worth frequent visits the rest of the year. I'm still glad I get to see a variety of pinnipeds here, but I wish the California Sea Lions could be enjoyed in a regular habitat, not just the theater tank. The facility is tidy and the staff looks genuinely happy to be there.

You must go here!! One of the best aquariums I have ever visited! Seeing multiple beluga whales in person and interacting with them through the glass is something I will never forget. The aquarium has a huge outdoor section with several cool exhibits — beluga whales, seals, penguins. The indoor section is great as well with a large variety and tanks and exhibits. The sea lion “show” was both entertaining and educational, shedding light on some ways to be more environmentally friendly!

BUY TICKETS AHEAD OF TIME! Nice place. Smaller than the Boston aquarium. Fun interactive things to do and GREAT customer service!!! We went at 9am and people were already waiting in line. So pre-buy tickets! All the staff that we came in contact with provided excellent knowledge about the animals, facility and area. We went on a long holiday weekend. If I was to go again I would go at a time with less kids.

What a fun place! It’s not the biggest aquarium in the country but it makes up for it in guest service and interesting exhibits. The sea lion show was cheesy but cute. The main gallery had interactive exhibits and lots of interesting info. We saw the sea lion feeding and the attendants did a great job of explaining their actions and behavior of the animals. And of course the belugas were so dang cool! If we lived closer, we would definitely get season passes but a trip every year is definitely warranted!

We have been here quite a few times and it never gets boring! Sad that the penguins area was out due to construction but well be back again. The beluga are always happy and the sea lion show was spectacular as usual. They updated it! Enjoy some of our photos and the video of the beluga saying hi

We had so much fun at Mystic Aquarium! The highlights of my trip were seeing the penguins, beluga whales, and the sea lion show! If you are debating whether or not to see the show, I highly recommend watching it (great experience for both kids and adults). I’d recommend getting there a little early to get a good seat and there’s a little bit of audience participation at the front middle row if you’d like that.
Inside the aquarium, there were a few interactive exhibits where you could touch the fish or crustacean and one where you learn about waste.
All the staff were very nice and welcoming. We had a really wonderful time seeing all the animals. Overall, highly recommend this aquarium!

Do arrive by their opening, so you can secure proper parking. The first seal show is at 11 AM, which was amazing. Play with sharks and sting rays. Learn more about the Long Island Sound and the technology inspired by it. Explore the aquatic life of the Amazon. Best of all use various links to go on a listening tour. The staff are friendly, so ask for help and directions. This is a place to frequent often, so get a membership to enhance your learning.

So fun! There are so many things to do here. We got there bright and early and had bought our tickets online so we got right in. It was a lot less crowded in the early morning. It’s about half inside and half outside. They have feeding schedules posted for each out door animal. There are workers at each station telling you all about the animals which was neat and they answer questions. There is an outdoor play area for smaller kids(8 and under) it is in the shade. Definitely lets the kids get some energy out. There are so many add ins throughout the aquarium. My daughter did the hurricane simulator and loved it. Only $6. There are a few touch tanks: shark, star fish, sting ray etc. the food and drinks are over priced but that’s to be expected. The dinoseas was a nice add on which wasn’t too expensive. They have quite a few interactive activities, a kids play area, 2 4D movies and some neat animatronic dinos and turtles. This is all indoors. The sea lion show was awesome! It is less than 30 minutes. Very entertaining and interactive. You are able to come and go as you please you just need a stamp before you leave. Great experience and pretty affordable. Recommend dining elsewhere or packing from home. The food is tasty but pricey.

It’s always amazing to visit here at Mystic Aquarium. My toddler loved it! The gentle giants beluga whales❤️. Food options are less but overall awesome and don’t miss the sea lions show.
Sizable performance hall at Foxwoods, presenting popular rock, pop & rap shows & other events.
Always a pleasure to be at foxwoods. It just keeps on getting better. A family fun experience for sure. I will continue to come here and play my games, shop for my family, spend quality time with my son and taking my mom's out to dinner. Did I mention the steak house is to die for? Everytime I mention it to the family, they always seem to be dressed before me. The staff is extremely awesome.

We came here to see Gabriel Iglesias this past weekend. The theatre itself is huge, seats were comfortable, the views of the stage seem to be good from every angle. The food at the concession stands were reasonably priced.

Chaotic and understaffed. Disorganized queues were woven through the casino for an hour before the show. We were still on line when the show started promptly at 8pm. There aren’t enough exits and most of the crowd gets funneled through a tiny exit. Tips if you choose to go: get there super early, parking was free but the only spots left were a few football fields away. If you want a drink it may be awhile and you’ll miss a bunch of the show. The staff that is there is doing their best but it was understaffed everywhere we went from the theater to the bars and even Dunkin’ Donuts had a huge line.

Why in the world would they stop selling beverages at 9:00 pm during a concert that started at 8:00 pm?? The venue even stopped selling water & soft drinks, AND sealed off the drinking fountains (bubblers).
There is absolutely no excuse for leaving your guests thirsty at a rock concert. It made zero sense for the audience, the performers, and the casino. No need to ever go back.

Personally I didn't buy the tickets. This was my 1st concert the freestyle concert amazing music. My big complaint was we was of the balcony seats which once again I did not buy the tickets, bad angle we were sitting Row J everybody was standing up so I got to watch the concert mostly on the TV screen.
But overall very clean good music will be back.

6/7/23 Sunday Just saw D.Hall and Todd Rundgen . The premier theater was terrible . Loud and Bass Blasting . 2006 built but acoustics need upgrading . Lyrics difficult to clearly hear. New material ... impossible to enjoy. . Same problem with April John Forgerty concert. He is a hard working pro whose music lacked clarity.. theater lack any system that attempts to sourround you with sounds. It's High volumn and booming bass NO MID TONES , vocals lost in the noise. . Very disappointing .A Foxwoods sound system upgrade is NEEDED 2006 was 17y ago. Audience was not happy ... WASTE of money for 60-80s rock WE won't be back until upgrade is done. Bill

Fantastic place to see a show. This theater is absolutely enormous. If you can get seats closer to the stage you'll feel like you're in a small hall. The monumental size of this place isn't even noticable when the show starts. I'd willingly go back to this place for any event in the future.

Incredible experience. After my first skydive here I couldn’t wait to go again. Definitely recommend the video/photo package because you will regret it if you don’t purchase it. Watching the video is almost like experiencing it all over again and nothing compares to what you feel while literally falling from the sky. The staff makes you feel at ease, is knowledgeable and very friendly. If you’re looking for a place that is safe, fun and will give you an awesome skydive experience, especially if it’s you’re first time….Skydive Danielson is the place to go. Recommend going during Fall before they close for the season-seeing the beautiful foliage from high in the sky makes for a gorgeous view.

Went Skydiving for my birthday and had an absolutely amazing time! I went with a fairly large group and know we can be a bit much to handle, but all of the staff was very helpful, friendly and did everything in their power to make my experience a good one. Everyone from the front end staff to the tandem instuctors were amazing! I can not recommend this place enough! I even had some questions after the fact and they were so helpful and responsive and helped get me all the answers I needed. I already booked my second jump. Can’t wait to do it again!

Wow! The thrill of a lifetime! Skydive Danielson is an excellent place for learning to Skydive or to do a one time tandem jump.
Prior to my first jump today I was thinking about this for at least two years. So today I gave it a try and had a tremendous adrenaline rush. The staff provides clear instruction prior to the jump and they clearly check the equipment and fastening harness several times. I felt very safe and ready to leave the plane at 14,000 feet. They are extremely professional and I highly recommend a jump with Skydive Danielson. I hope to repeat a jump next year and really appreciate the view and freefall.

Omggg, what a GREAT experience! For MONTHS I knew I had this scheduled and was so nervous the WHOLE entire time leading up til the day it took place which was Sept. 17, I went with a group of friends. When I tell you it went soooo smoothly, it could not have felt any better! Dave was my instructor and talked me right thru it and I was comfortable. If you haven't done this, please do because it is an experience of a life time and will NOT be disappointed, I promise you!
I'm officially a Skydiver now!
Thanks so much Skydiving Danielson Team!

I highly recommend Skydive Danielson. What a fantastic experience. On the premises, you'll get an opportunity to get a feel for the atmosphere, talk with other jumpers, and interact with the staff. They are fully prepared and equipped to answer any questions you may have prior to your jump. You will have opportunities to watch all of the gear being inspected and parachute gear being packed. As you spend time on the property, you can watch videos of others that jumped previously in the day, you will see other jumpers being deployed from the plane overhead, and you can watch as the divers descend back to the landing field. It is a beautiful location. On the day of my visit, I only saw happy people landing back on earth with big smiles from the experience. I felt completely safe in the care of my tandem partner. 100% would do again.

I went with two of my friends, it was the most incredible, insane and indescribable experience of my life. Skydive Danielson is awesome, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the instructors were all super cool. The one I had, Jerry, he was awesome, super experienced and easy to talk to, explained everything to me from the gearing up to during the plane ride. He took us through a cloud after the parachute was deployed as well which was a highlight. I’ll definitely be coming back.

Definitely an experience not to be missed! My tandem partner Richard was very competent, professional and friendly. The only trepidation I felt was in my anticipation of the jump. Once we were in the air, it didn't feel scary, dangerous, or threatening in any way.
If you want to go, but are afraid, don't be! Skydive Danielson took care of every detail and managed the entire experience for us. I couldn't be more impressed by their competence and professionalism.
As you can imagine, their overriding concern is for safety, so the ability to get off the ground it is extremely dependent on the weather. We waited three hours for the clouds to clear, and then it was a 1/2 hour experience. Definitely worth the wait, but plan for at least half a day start to finish.
Summer stock theater presenting musicals in a picturesque converted 1880s barn near the water.
The shows and park are very well done. You can get up close to the animals and the park itself is nice to walk around and explore. It even has a little lagoon/beachy area to swim and hang out if you want to make a day out of your visit. But, you can do this park in 2-2.5 hours. I thought it was bit pricey, but once you figure out that these are rescued animals and this park provides a home for them, you will feel better about paying the admission price. At least I did.

Do you want to watch excellent live entertainment? You should come here. They put on amazing shows. The music and the singing are first rate. I can't imagine how they get such elaborate and beautiful sets in such a small venue. We had season tickets this past year, and I'm pretty sure we're going to get them again. A nice place to see a show. Fun atmosphere inside and out. Beautiful gardens and kind people. The actors are very good and with the quaint seating space you feel part to the show no matter what seat you have. We went and saw “Beautiful “ the Carole King Musical. We enjoyed the performance. We sat in the balcony. Seats were old and a bit uncomfortable, but my biggest complaint was the A/C. We were freezing! At intermission we asked if they could turn it done, and we’re told they would, but no one turned it off 🥶. It’s a historic playhouse and worth visiting if you like what’s playing. Beautiful grounds to linger in before the shows, with a gazebo serving drinks. I heard good things about the restaurant, but did not try it myself. Overall, worth a visit, but bring a sweater!

A great little spot to enjoy a theatre show! Brought my mom to see The Bodyguard and it did not disappoint! One of Rhode Island's many arts & culture gems! A great place for a night out down by the sea. Before or after a show you literally can go walking on the beach which is less than 5 minutes away by car. They always put on great shows and performances which you can get updates on their website. They offer discounted seasonal passes in advance. It's now air conditioned and it's also nice and a cooler day with the fans going. You can just feel the energy being down by the ocean. Beautifully landscaped grounds with an outdoor bar, sitting areas and clean restrooms. A bonus is the Cabaret for after the show In which sometimes you can meet the performers. They have ample parking and it's extremely organized with people in bright vests and light wands to help guide you to your parking spot.

The show was great. Very talented performers. I usually don't rate anything a 5. I can't remember the name of the show but it was about the 4 Seasons. My only other comment would be the theater might want to improve the ventilation a little. It got warmer as the show went on and it was cool outside.

out on accommodations. Btw, the rest room was disgusting.
Easy getting on and off. However, You need to be confident driving in reverse because you have to back your vehicle onto the ferry. After that, plenty of room on upper decks to sit and enjoy the 1 hour ish ferry ride. Decent snack bar on board. I recommend bringing food and using the ferry ride time as a picnic.

Amazing experience with this ferry company. They're incredibly efficient and timely with their schedule. I took a car on the traditional ferry and that was a breeze too.
If you're taking a car, you have to reserve in advance, show up an hour early, and back it onto the ship. The staff guides you through the process. During the journey, you can stay in the car or go up to enjoy the views. When you reach your destination, you just drive off the ferry and they waste no time with this.
The staff are friendly and they even have a small concession area onboard. Highly recommend to anyone traveling to/from Block Island!

Great prices for a ferry. A round trip was only $24 for a 1 hour trip to block island. They also have another ferry that is more faster that take you only 30 minute trip. If you want to take your bike or the car you can do that as well, you only need to paid extra. They have different hour of departure so you can plan your day.

We’ve opted for the round trip ferry as we are not in rush to reach the island. It takes about an hour. There are couple of ports where you can board from. The car parking is right opposite the ferry office and they usually charge around 15$ for whole day parking.
Evening ferry back from island at 5 PM is the busiest. Plan to reach the port early so you don’t miss it. Usually the next one is after 90 min.
If you plan to carry your car to the island plan to call the ferry office at least few weeks before and have the reservation.

Love the fishing boat scene at the mainland dock! It’s absolutely fascinating if you’re into that. I had naïvely thought I could get my car on the ferry with no reservation. You really can’t. Two round trip walk on tickets bought at the ticket window were $60 for the slow boat. Between boarding, the ride and disembarking the trip takes about an hour and a half. Took off a few minutes late but I think we made the time up. Plenty to see on the trip.

Loved it! 😎😎😎
The waters were a little bumpy going out, and it felt like an amusement ride, CAREFULLY walking aft to stern from deck to deck. ... I enjoyed watching the water break from the edge of the bow and the width of the wake.
The return trip was more relaxing watching the final sun's rays go out and the stars coming alive over very calm waters... Until we noticed a dark fog and distant fireworks.
As we drew closer to shore, there was a fireworks display on the beach front, which was Awesome as well. 👍👍👍😎😎😎💞💞💞💞💞
Then patriotic cheers and chanting of "U. S. A. -- U. S. A. -- U. S. A" as we pulled alongside our docking port and happiness and joy abounded as we departed the final Block Island Ferry on the night of July 4th 2023.

A great experience! It's about 55 min to get to and from the island on the non high speed ferry. Staff are nice and helpful. You can bring your car along. They do get booked up fast, so check in advance. There's snack and drinks to buy on board. They serve alcohol and beer to 21 and up. Plenty of seating and places to watch the views. It does get chilly outside on deck, so bring a sweater or jacket. Sunsets are beautiful. The majority of people were not wearing masks, but you can if you want. They are restrooms on board. The crew and captain take wonderful safety measures as well, such as announcing where to find life preservers, floatation devices, etc.

The staff is extremely not friendly and helpful. It’s our first time visiting RI and Block Island. She is very rude when I asked for help. Not sure if it’s due to my skin color or accent.
Here is our experience: We didn’t expect all parking lots are full. We spent an hour on looking for a parking spot. We have to reschedule our tickets from high speed to traditional ticket, and don’t get the reimbursement. No reimbursement rule is shown on the website.
After we changed to traditional ticket, we found out we still couldn’t catch up the time, we had to changed to the next time slot for the high speed. I didn’t know if it can work. Then I went to this rude lady for a solution, she said I would be charged with the variance. I continued asking for her understanding due to crazy full parking lots everywhere during the holiday time. However, she presented her ruthless and her attitude was so sucks, she said she couldn’t control the parking and walked away.
My vacation was totally ruined by her.

I’ve been to several bakeries over the years for family birthday cakes and what not. This bakery is BY FAR the best bakery I’ve been to. I made up a type of cake that I wanted, 3 layer white cake with a layer of raspberry and a layer of lemon with a whipped cream frosting and coconut on the sides. DELICIOUS. Moist, good layers of the raspberry and lemon, the lemon was to die for.. the whipped cream topping looked like regular frosting until you touched it, lite and fluffy. I really can’t stress how delicious it was and how perfect it came out. I will be back to try other pastries and I will always order special cakes from them. I also got a small coffee milk on my way out…SO GOOD. THANK YOU

I can't even put into words how wonderful working with Wright's for my wedding this past June was. We chose a small cake to cut and wanted a dessert bar for our guests to enjoy. Wright's went above and beyond in every way. Our cake was BEAUTIFUL and looked identical, if not better than, the inspiration photo I provided. The dessert bar was such a hit and my guests kept getting up for more during the night. They even allowed me to completely customize the offerings so we could have a little bit of everything. The cake and every single dessert tasted AMAZING! We had such a hard time choosing the flavors of our cake because everything was just that delicious! And working with Becki and Julianne was truly a joy. They are both incredibly professional and answered every question I had so quickly, I never worried about anything related to dessert for my wedding. I would recommend them in a heartbeat and my husband and I can't wait to order a replica of our wedding cake for our first anniversary!

This was such a fun stop! My kiddos loved seeing the cows and I loved the instructional little blips about the milking process. We were not able to see the cows being milked, we arrived too late. This occurs 3:30-4:30 daily. However, the icecream, pastries, pies, all the food within the bakery is delicious and fresh. Highly recommend. We stopped and ended up stocking up on pasteries for our trip. We were able to enjoy them throughout the week. Affordable way to enjoy some delicious treats. Highly recommend.

We had heard a lot about this place, so we decided to check it out. The place is high quality and very well run. We were amazed by the steady crowd of people in the afternoon on a weekday! this truly is a working dairy farm and they have a nice self-guided audio tour (use your smart phone) of the farm itself. The bakery and dairy store are highest quality.
On the side, they have an old streamline trainer that's been converted into an ice cream sales counter. All of their ice cream is hand packed and made fresh on the premise with the milk from cows that live a 100 yards away!
While I was there, I spoke to several customers who are regulars and they love coming back again and again. Now that we've been there, we'll be back!

It was rich, creamy, light, and just perfect. I couldn't believe what I was eating. The store is an experience first time you walk through the door you're barrage with the best smell of fresh pastries and treats. The sweets look amazing and there is a tasty variety behind the glass and on the sales floor. Their milk is also the best I've ever had I prefer the coffee milk it hits just right and satisfies you with every sip. They have an assortment of other beverages and even, my favorite, jars of honey from local honey farms. When you leave the store and head to your car I guarantee you will be tempted to take a bite when you hit a red light on your way home. Bottom line their products look as delicious as they taste, their customer service is outstanding, and it's just an overall best experience I highly recommend.

My trip on the Fast Ferry was an impromptu decision. I appreciated the website for setting up expectations thoroughly for my carpe diem excursion!
The ride was fun, and got me wet in all right places after the sun began to fry me!😂
This is something I hope to do again in the future with more intentional planning. I would stay overnight on the Island at minimum two nights, instead of it being such a heated rush. It really did feel like I had a speed date! 😂

Really an excellent tour on a quality vessel. The narration was well done and informative.
Felt like a good value and though full there was lots of additional room to move about for photo opportunities etc. The boat has a good mix of covered and exposed seating to handle a mix of weather.

Hi booked a birthday light house cruse today for handicap hubby. Took our two week old 2019 toyotasienna with only 155 miles to quonset location in North Kingstown. When entering the lot, clerk said to go left for handicap parking. Immediately hit a huge pothole and van sagged right with a loud bag. Pulled into spot and Check engine light came on. Asked to speak to a manager and was told "too bad we are not responsible.!" I feel that the company should maintain the lot. When I got our tickets, the clerk told me others have complained, they bring it up to management but nothing is done. Shame on the company. This is a $58,000 vehicle and now heading to dealer to see what damage was done. The ferry company should be liable to maintain the property for safety and not put customers in a position to damage vehicles. Clearly a negligent attitude of owner.

This was a great cruise and I must say it was worth it as far as being able to see all of Narraganset bay and Newport harbor but the speaker system needs to be upgraded it didn't start working properly until about a quarter way into the cruise. It was great that there is a bar available they even have hard seltzer and the crew was super friendly. Just wish that there was better seating arrangement because I was not able to sit with the other three people that I went on the cruise with and other people didn't want to get up which was very rude. The crew member who was explaining everything on this tour was very detailed and pointed everything out to us.

Went on the Rhode Island fast ferry, lighthouse tour. I would recommend this activity while you are visiting Rhode Island. The boat was beautifully kept, updated, and the staff was very helpful. The tour guide was phenomenal! He gave us so much history and information, all from memory, no script. The sites were beautiful, and the boat was handicapped accessible but the parking lot was a little wonky as the handicapped spots were opposite the building. We had a very enjoyable time and would highly recommend this tour.

My wife was diagnosed with Covid the day before the trip. We purchased 4 fares, and our son and daughter-in-law were going with us. I tried to cancel 2 of the fares, and they refused to refund the $240 for two of the fares. The state of Rhode Island would rather we had gone and risk infecting everyone else instead of doing the right thing and isolating. I will be posting this on Facebook as well to warn potential travelers about this policy.

The Ocean Drive Historic District is a well-preserved collection of mansions, cottages and public buildings dating back to the early 1800s. The winding road takes visitors past some of Newport's most iconic landmarks including the Castle Hill Hotel & Lighthouse, Brenton Point State Park, Gooseberry Beach, Bailey Beach and Belmont Beach. The district also includes Fort Adams State Park which was used during the American Revolution as a fortress against British forces.
My oh my. I could live there. Newport in itself is extremely gorgeous but if you don’t stop here you are completely missing out. My breathe slows, my eyes widen, my heart sinks, and i feel free. The sunsets here are like no other. You can go to as many beaches as you want but never will you go on an ocean drive this long and this gorgeous. It will always be this place that can clear my head.

At Costantino's, diners can enjoy a variety of Italian comfort classics as well as a sizeable wine list and seasonal live music. The restaurant is family-owned and operated and uses high-quality ingredients in its authentic Italian dishes. With ample seating outdoors, Fido can also reenact the iconic scene from Lady and the Tramp with one of their homemade pasta dishes.
Delicious meal, great service even when packed & great drinks. We sat outside ordered drinks & food and our waiter was super sweet. We ordered an entree pasta and the caprese salad to share and it was more than enough food. Good prices. Make a reservation though! It was a packed restaurant, and we had to wait a few minutes in line to check in for our reservation.

Family of 6 with four kids sat outside next to the fountain. It was not on yet since it was of season in April.
The food was good overall and we had better from other Italian restaurants. I got the lobster ravioli with shrimp and my wife got the bolognese.
The server was very polite and attentive. They don't have a kids meal but they were able to put together chicken tenders and fries and my two daughters split thr spaghetti with butter and meatballs.
The bread and oil was the highlight for the kids. It was very delicious!
I'm sure during the warmer months this is a fantastic place with nice ambience and great for people watching.

I’ve been here before for lunch and the pasta was great. For this review we just had drinks and dessert. I wish I remembered the names of these but the one with the pistachio topping was delicious. It didn’t resemble the consistency of a pudding, more of a custard. I thought it was the perfect amount of sweet. There was someone that did come around for campaigning outside to the tables which I found odd for a dining experience. Nonetheless it was still good.

Awesome bar with awesome Italian food. Super fresh pasta and other dishes. The calamari was delicious as was the arancini balls. Good selection of drinks and cocktails as well as desserts. The lobster raviolis were delicious. I had the paparazzelli with Bolognese sauce, amazing. Others had the chicken parm, the chicken marsala, and the Italian sausage with broccoli rabe pasta. No complaints and all the dishes went back clean. Pretty good desserts if you have room. Service was outstanding, only complaint was a music was a bit loud in the seats we had.

Not my favorite pasta I’ve ever had- I had to add salt and seasoning. The mushroom appetizer was fine. But the atmosphere is wonderful outside by the fountain. Really enjoyed the wine as well. We got a bottle of Barolo.

Had a bad experience somewhere else and ended up here. We were seated right away. The server knew was wine to recommend with our dinner. We got our dinner and the pasta was cold but everything else was hot and fresh. I assume they were just waiting for the meat to cook but still eh. Although everything was delicious overall. I would recommend coming in the summer since they have outdoor seating.

The overall experience was subpar. I would suggest going to one of the many other restaurants in Federal Hill. Came here with my family for dinner and made a reservation online beforehand. Note that the hostess stand is outside, and the other entrance for Constantina Venda Ravioli is for their Italian marketplace, where you can purchase goods. Limited street parking or you can try your luck in the residential neighborhoods. Credit cards are accepted. There’s one single occupant restroom inside to the left. Inside and patio seating with umbrellas is available.
Service
The waiter was inattentive and did not check in on us. When asked to turn on the heating lamps as it was getting chilly, he only replied by saying that’s only possible “if” there’s propane. He didn’t bother checking nor did he provide a bread basket I saw multiple other tables had. Later on in the evening, I noticed a different waiter carrying out a propane tank, so it’s evident he didn’t want to deal with turning on the lamp.
Food
I will give credit to the pasta, as it has a nice texture and tastes very fresh. Unfortunately, the sauces were all bland. The cavatelli’s sauce was brothy while the tagliatelle’s sauce tasted like nothing. The pork ragu did have some fresh ricotta to help with the taste. The calamari we got was a bit cold - note that it’s not breaded and fried as other restaurants do.

Everything was amazing. If you come here please ask for Matthew. Our server was great. Friendly and very knowledgeable of the menu. 10/10 would recommend. Go ahead and get the bottle of the Santa margherita brut rosa. You won’t regret.

While our server was friendly, the hostess initially was not and ignored us for 10 minutes. It was a holiday Sunday so that is understandable, but still, at least say you are busy at the moment and will be with us shortly. Once we sat, as mentioned, our server was friendly but we did have to wait quite a bit between visits due to the sheer amount of people. The outdoor seating was very nice and the chicken Parmesan was very tasty, as was the pasta. There aren’t many quiet times to come here, but I’m sure it would make things quicker.

Its beautiful outdoor place inside is louder, but understandable. The service is slow. HOWEV, R for the slow service the food is so delicious, which makes up for the service. We all had something different with some dietary restrictions. Everything was perfect. We were there for 2 birthdays. And the desert was also amazing!! Would recommend it but dont be in a rush! Definitely make reservations!!

Enjoyed a fantastic lunch. We each ordered a salad but split an order of pasta, which was plenty, especially when you load up on hot, fresh Italian bread. The place was not busy during a weekday lunch, but noticed the waitstaff on their phones more than they were attending to tables. Would have loved to try one of the wood fired pizzas, but that will have to wait until another time.

In town for a wedding, was told about this place from a mutual friend made a reservation. We sat upstairs. The table could’ve been cleaner staff was attentive then we hardly saw them after Service. I do have to say the upstairs was packed with tables we were unimpressed as far as the seating area. But the food delicious! We started with a Burrata appetizer with tomato and prosciutto easily shared between four people. My entree was Pork shoulder slow simmered in plum tomato sauce served over Venda's rotelloni pasta finished with a dollop of ricotta cheese . Delicious!! Drinks were amazing as well easy to get to from our hotel with Uber. Outside is gorgeous as well as outside seating overlooking a huge fountain ⛲️.

Would strongly recommend a reservation. The atmosphere was great. Indoor seating was more intimate while outdoor was fun with a live band playing Sinatra. My wife and I shared an aperol spritz and a red sangria. The red sangria was amazing. The calamari was awesome. Anything with the vodka sauce was great. I ordered the chicken parm, and it was a little thick. The tiramisu was the cherry on top. Would highly recommend.

Holy cannoli let's just say first of all come in here. It's like you're in a mob movie. We came on a perfect night. They had the Frank Sinatra band playing and it was perfect. They actually were very, very good. They also have a live singers with them as well. The food was great. I had to take a star away because the marinara sauce taste runny. I didn't really taste any tomato. I taste just water. That's kind of what it tastes like to me. However, the lobster ravioli is the best dish there and then the eggplant as a appetizer is a must. It's very decadence very light creamy that eggplant is perfect. The chicken parm anything with the marinel that they had just was kind of watery. Now the pasta you can tell is fresh, but the the marinara was just almost want to take two stars away from it for just that. However, I can't because the atmosphere brings another star up. So you have to be careful when you come here. Because if the food's not good, the atmosphere is going to make you feel like man. This is great but the marinara sauce just did not do it for me. I've had a lot better but this place is a must. If you're in the area you do need to go to it and sit outside if you can
The Roger Williams Park Zoo is one of the oldest zoos in the country, and it has a number of modern design features that make it a great option for kids. You can meet a variety of animals here, including snow leopards, giraffes, elephants, and zebras.
I like this zoo so much. They have so many animals. The size is good for a family. The Roger Williams Park also huge, includes museum and a lake that you can play swan boat. Will definitely go back when weather is better. Highly recommend to go early like 9am then you can easy to find a parking spot.

A very fun, clean. and welcoming zoo all around. I have come here a few times and experienced a normal zoo day, as well as the October pumpkin carved event, and the Asian Lantern Spectacular. The lantern event was stunning. It’s fun being in the park at night, but the light displays were incredible to see. The size and scale of them all - and a few even moved! If you get the chance, highly recommend.

We have a membership because my son is obsessed with this zoo! It’s always very clean, and the staff are always super nice. My son is autistic, and if you have a person in your life on the spectrum, I highly recommend. My tip would be to go during the week, and get there right as they open. The park can get really busy with lots of families, so it can be very overwhelming to those who have sensitivities and sensory problems. My son adores the zebras, the elephants, and the giraffes! All the animals are very well taken care of, and have roomy enclosures. The staff do a lot of work in conservation, and ensuring that endangered species are protected well.

One of the best zoos I have visited. I've never been able to see or be near a cheetah! I must have been lucky to see that all the animals were out today. There was a fun dinosaur exhibit for the kiddos the week I went. I didn't expect the zoo to be so big! I ended up staying for 2-3 hours and enjoyed every minute! You can tell the animals were very well taken care of ❤️ There is also a cute little petting farm here.

Our recent visit to the zoo was nothing short of magical. All thanks to DJ Hill, our incredibly knowledgeable and engaging tour guide, who made the experience truly unforgettable.
DJ Hill's passion for the animals was evident, as he told us about special and personal connections he had to some animals in the park.
The highlight of our day was an unexpected surprise - the sloths! We were thrilled to see these amazing creatures up close. This was an added bonus we didn't expect, but it made our tour even more memorable!
But the most magical moment of the day was undoubtedly the engagement proposal. DJ did an incredible job at incorporated the proposal into our animal encounter. My girlfriend was surprised and overjoyed!
The zoo, the Zuuber tour, and DJ Hill played an integral part in making this day one of the happiest days of our lives. We can't recommend this experience enough!

What a fantastic zoo. We were very happy to see the large enclosures the animals had. The zoo is very large and very easy to make your way through the entire zoo. There are many benches along the way if you get tired to take a rest. They time event the tickets so the crowds were not overwhelming. All the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. There is a good variety of animals. This was the nicest zoo I have ever visited. If you get tired of looking at animals they have a very fun zipline you can do for an added cost inside the zoo. There are carriages to rent for children and wheelchairs for those who need one. Parking was easy and ample. Very affordable prices would definitely recommend this for children and adults.

This is a good zoo but not many animals can be found. You can cover entire zoo in maybe 2-3 hours. What i like about this place is how well it is maintained. Parking might be a struggle if you chose to come mid afternoon. Plan coming before 10 am and you might get a spot closest to the zoo. Overall a good experience for my toddler

I visited for the first time for the jack-o-lantern spectacular and WOW that was amazing! So many, literally thousands, of carved pumpkins and so many neat and interesting designs to be seen. I didn't find parking to to be much of an issue, even on a busy Sunday night. We bought tickets in advance and showed the barcode on our phone for entry with no line. I highly recommend this!

I haven't been to the zoo in a while and the experience on Monday was wonderful. It had a lot of updates made including my favorite, the rain forest building. It was great even though I couldn't find the sloth, lol. The mythical creature area was well worth the extra cost as well. 😍

Get the membership! It pays for itself after 2 times and allows for discounts for special events. My son and I can casually walk around for a couple hours and just take it all in. The exhibits are well kept and the animals are very clearly taken care of. Each time we go we try and spend a little time learning a little something extra about one of the animals by utilizing the qr codes posted around the exhibits. Restrooms are all over the zoo so you aren't searching for one when you need one. My only big complaint is about the food which leaves something to be desired, but knowing that I just pack a lunch.

An incredible zoo and a fun time for the whole family. Vending machines are way over priced, though so bring a water and save your extra money for the gift shop or a quick lunch.
On the positive, it is absolutely one of the best zoos I've been to and I very much recommend it for everyone.

This zoo was equally wonderful and disappointing depending on the exhibit. Some of the animal had great enclosures while others seemed to be in too small a space with very little greenery. The donkey, the zebras, watusi and the wildebeasts are sad. It was nice to see some animals I haven’t seen before. This was not the best zoo but for sure pretty decent. It was clean and the employees were very pleasant.

My self, my daughter, and five of my grandchildren attended the Christmas light spectacular and it did not disappoint. A Lil Providence Treasure!
Located in one of my favorite parks on the East Coast, RWPZ is a family-friendly experience for all ages - both a zoo and nice walk around the wetlands. Our favorite part was the Faces of the Rainforest building, where some animals have an open enclosure and are allowed to roam the building! It was surreal to explore the rainforest (and yes, it's very humid conditions) with sloths, birds and golden tamarins moving about. Watch out for the bird poop though!
You could get pretty close to some of the animals, especially those in their indoor enclosures. It allows you to view animal adaptations and behaviors more vividly (especially in the Rainforest)! The animals were fairly active earlier in the day (and probably would be again at the end of the day)- as typical with most zoos.
The zoo was easy to navigate, had food and restroom facilities open even during reduced winter capacity, and most animals were viewable to the public (some moved to indoor enclosures instead of their typical outdoor ones). There's some construction to build new buildings, renovate exhibits or move new animals into exhibitions (like the serval, penguins, and red pandas), so that's something to keep in mind.
Education: since there is no public educational programming in the winter, I don't feel like the zoo taught me much. There was some information about each animal (what you normally see displayed in zoos but I will say the fun facts and sometimes mentioned conservation efforts) but little to no information about their natural habitats or conservation efforts themselves. The Rainforest exhibit is on the newer end and is educational, so I'm hoping it's just a matter of upgrades.
Cost: $10.50 (admission was discounted 50% in the winter; admission is typically $21 for adults)
AZA Reciprocity: typically honored with a 50% discount; was not in effect during our visit because of the winter discount
Accessibility: while the walking paths were clear from the snow and clearly marked, most exhibits didn't have automatic doors
Wait Times: only ticket booth was open so there was a short wait (less than ten minutes) to purchase tickets or show them an online ticket for entry; there is a pretty $5 processing fee for online tickets so we decided to purchase tickets online
Travel: about a 1.5hr drive from Boston or accessible by bus (arrives directly to the front gates)
Parking: free parking is available on-site and pretty plentiful; overflow lots are located nearby in the park
Restrooms: the best thing was the plentiful restrooms at every corner! the hasbro background area for families with children even had a changing area, separate from the neighboring restroom
Collectibles: collectible penny machines are $1 and presently didn't have RWPZ enamel pins
Recycling Program: recycle your e-waste by the ticket/entrance booths for free
Food Pantry: open to those who need it. that's a grab and go style food pantry by the entrance for visitors to leave non perishable items in or take items they need
Other Notes: minimal reptiles at this zoo

I visited the Roger Williams Park Zoo, taking advantage of the first beautiful day of the year. Despite it being a busy day, the zoo never felt overcrowded, allowing us to enjoy our visit at a relaxed pace. It had been several years since my last visit, and I was impressed to see clean grounds and has a thoughtful layout. The selection of wildlife was diverse and engaging, making our trip truly memorable. Highly recommend for a pleasant day out!

Went for the Jack O Lantern Spectacular, bought tickets ahead of time so it wouldn't be too much of a hassle getting in.
Well, I can tell you going through the ticket booth is the least of your worries - finding parking was the most draining part about the visit.
There were no signs pointing where to go specifically for the event.
The roads and the signs within the zoo weren't lit either so it felt like every man for himself trying to find parking.
Once you do find parking, you're hoping you can come across other people so you get an idea of where to go.
Also if you go too late, a lot of concession stands are closed so if you get there past 7, make sure you're dressed warmly and have eaten something already because the lines at the places still open will take forever.
The actual tour was nice, they definitely go a long way to set the atmosphere. The Lanterns were so cool but everyone also wants a picture so expect to inevitably bump into people. They had different themes throughout the tour and it was amazing seeing how intricate they could get.
Sensory warning -
*If you get overstimulated by a lot of sound, I highly recommend sound reducing headphones* and expect to encounter kids with flashing light toys of some sort.
Overall it wasn't bad but there's a lot that could be improved in terms of organization and making it easier to plan for the throngs of people, especially on the weekend.
Get there at least half an hour before your scheduled time slot so you have a chance to find parking closer to the event entrance.

Great walkable zoo with nice exhibits. Cheetahs were most active late in the day at closing (feeding?) time. The walk-in building with the tropical birds and monkeys was very cool as the monkeys, birds, and sloths were all free within the building and 'jungle' as you walked through it.

EVERY staff member we encountered here was nice and helpful! From the lady at the door that checked our bags to the ones that pointed us towards the show and the ones helping people find their seats. It just felt so welcoming. The theater is beautifully charming. They have 2 women’s restrooms which is great so although there were a lot of people there was no wait. It was immaculately clean, including the restrooms and I love their practical hooks on the bathroom doors. Their pretzels were warm and just the right balance between crispy and soft inside. One of the best theaters I have attended in a long time. I have traveled from Beverly Hills, Hollywood, Boston, and New York City. And this by far is on my top 10 list.
My only issue is the security. When someone has an ‘all access pass’ and it’s part of the media and an influencer on Instagram and YouTube. They should be allowed in to do an Instagram live.
Phil from security was not super friendly. Treated me like I was someone who didn’t belong there. My only recommendation to the theater, hire a better security team. Other than that, it was an amazing experience.

Never failed to impress me even when I returned many times. The management continues to prepare the theatre from outside to inside to look its best. The ushering staff as well are very efficient and warm, never-ending with charm. The sound quality in orchestra seating is outstanding, and I strongly recommend the theatre. I also love the parking about the theater, and with that, driving to Boston is not required to have your art itch scratched out of state!

Modern and Contemporary; New Media; Prints, Drawings and Photographs; European; Ancient Greek and Roman; Ancient Egyptian; Costume and Textiles; Asian; American; Decorative Arts and Design. Here are some photos of my favorites. Entry is $20. Free on Sundays.

It was an amazing museum! I didn't expect there to be so many different floors full of treasures. We spent about 3 hours and I felt like we rushed. We went on a Sunday when it was free and there were lots of people, but it wasn't crazy. The woman at the front was extremely helpful and gave us tips on how to view everything.
Definitely a must see when in the area!
I added some of my favorite pictures ❤

Visiting the RISD Museum was a remarkable and free art experience. I spent a captivating 4 to 5 hours exploring the exhibits and can't wait to return. It was incredibly enjoyable to discover a wide range of art, both from professional artists and students. The informative descriptions added a depth of cultural insight to my visit. I was pleasantly surprised to find free entry, possibly because it was a Sunday, and I didn't need to inquire further. If you have a passion for art, this museum is an absolute must-visit.

Excellent smaller art museum. Permanent collections are wonderful - Roman, Greek, Egyptian and European artwork as well as lovely furniture collections. Have seen many thought provoking, interesting exhibits here over the years with a wide variety of media and messages. My favorite place to visit in Providence. The shop is a gem too - located across the street from Main St entrance.

Much larger and more interesting place than just looking from the outside. The museum connects like four buildings in various walkways, ramps, stairs, and bridges. We ended up spending like two hours here and could have easily spent the entire day.

A great spot. Certain days are free, I believe it was Thursday night and Sunday all day. There’s a small waiting area when you enter. Large, different everywhere. A nice museum with a lot of variety to it.
It is kind of like a confusing maze though so it’s best if you have a lot of time to spend here. Hard to park in this area. They have little free cubby lockers and places to put your belongings and jackets.

There are some amazing works here. And the museum is really big, from the outside it may look small but there are so much to see and explore. Definitely a cool place to check out!

This is a gem, fabulously rich collection. Absolutely stunning pieces, great light. Staff is very very kind. We went on a Sunday, it was free, and it is wonderful to be in a museum which is popular. Want to go back.

Fantastic museum in the heart of downtown providence! Free on Sundays, take your time winding through 3+ floors with many rooms. Everything from modern art to a sarcophagus, textiles, and everything in between. Take a break at the coffee shop (accessible from inside the museum as well) and then power on through the museum.

I was surprised by the size of the museum, does not look as large form outside. Collection is very Electric so you will find something you like for sure.
Free on Sunday and 20USD other days. Street parking.

I was pleasantly surprised, and enjoyed visiting the museum. I wondered all the floors.
I will to return in warmer weather to enjoy some of the outdoor sitting areas.
Free on Sundays is a wonderful thing.

A beautiful art museum. It is not only paintings or pictures, also ceramic art and furniture pieces and more. Some modern pieces from the current and past students can also be seen. I highlighted some German art, but there is something from lots of countries.
There is a sitting room where you can read some of the art books while there. What is also great is that it is free on Sundays and some evenings. Please check the website.
There is a cafe at the museum that is open to the public. There are lockers for your backpacks since they aren't allowed in, but not many. On the other hand there are lots of restrooms.

Parking was the only issue; great museum to see one time; verity of painters
The Elms is a historic house located on Bellevue Avenue in Newport, Rhode Island. The house was built in 1901 for coal baron and National Historic Landmark Edward Julius Berwinds, and is a replica of a French chateau-style home from the mid-19th century. The Elms features 18th century French and Venetian art, Renaissance ceramics, and Oriental jade.
We highly recommend getting a two stop pass, visiting the breakers first, then going the Elms, and then walking to eat lunch downtown. The Elms is smaller than the breakers and has a wonderfully sophisticated, intimate, and tasteful ambience. There are carpet walkways to protect the flooring. The structure of the mansion is such that you often need to peer into a room from the hallway. A good bit of the furniture is not original. It is cool to see the original electric breaker and the white subway tile bathrooms that have aged quite well over a hundred years.
Jaye Aster Broder — Google review
The Elms is an absolutely stunning property. The open concept guides you from room to room. Make sure you walk through the entire property. The gardens in the back is a serene place that will leave you wondering in peace.
My recommendation is to purchase an annual membership. There are different levels that you can choose from to fit your family situation. This will not only save you money, but it is also a tax-deductible gift. Also, purchase your tickets/membership online. It is easy and will save you time when you first arrive.

The Elms mansion was our second choice after we visited the Breakers. We visited The Elms on Saturday. It’s beautiful and have lot of sculptures and paintings
They have free parking.
Buy package which gives entry to two or three historic houses is a better deal I recommend taking this rather than going with individual mansions.

Definitely should be one of the houses you see if you're doing the Newport mansions. House is in fantastic shape and represents the gilded age quite well. History of the house is well explained in the self guided tour document. Staff are friendly and helpful and eager to answer questions if you have any. You can also use mobile applications for voice guidance.

What a beautiful “cottage” as they call them. So wonderful it wasn’t torn down and we’re able to step into history. We used the newport mansion app for this tour as well and again it was very enlightening. We had a great time touring the home and strolling the grounds.

Amazing experience. Has one of the few remaining lacquer rooms in existence. I loved the marble and paintings. The self-guided audio tour is brilliant and the renovations they have done to persevere the original furnishings and buy back lost items is astounding. The preservation society has been very successfully at returning this "cottage" to its gilded age glory. Make sure you plan to view the gardens after you see the house. The trees are kinda magical.

Nice mansion. Julius Berwind from Philadelphia had the mansion built. He was a coal Barron. They would spend about $350,000 in the late 1800s, entertaining during each season. The season lasted about 8 weeks for during the summer. That equates to about $12Million in today's money. They must have had a raring good time. The preservation society keep up the mansions very well.

This is my new favorite mansion in Newport. Love the vibe. Staff is super helpful and polite. Booked our tickets online. Tip: book package deals where you get to visit multiple Newport mansions at a lower rate. And also don’t forget to download Newport mansions app on your phone to listen to tour guide as you go about it.
Ana Joshi — Google review
This mansion was spectacular. Get the Newport Mansion Mobile App to get the full explanation of everything. The paper handout does not provide enough info. The mansion seemed like a place I could live compared to Marble House and The Breakers. The gardens were equally beautiful.

Beautiful! This was definitely our favorite mansion. So classy and we also really enjoyed the free tour on the app. The interior was magnificent, and we loved walking the grounds afterwards as well.

Another wonderful stop if you are visiting the many mansions of Newport. There is no wrong choice, when it comes to the mansions, with The Elms being outstanding.
The Breakers is a 70-room Italian Renaissance megapalace inspired by 16th-century Genoese palazzi, located on a grand oceanside site in Newport, Rhode Island. The furnishings, most made expressly for The Breakers, are all original.
Get the annual pass! It is the best value! $80 for 2 adults for 1 year at all the Newport properties. Normally $26/adult at the Breakers. Anyway, this property is beautiful and the quintessential gilded age "cottage". Download the app so you can listen to the audio tour as you walk the property. You'll learn the Breakers has a lot of hidden artwork (acorns, dolphins) in their tile work and the ceilings and their meaning. Plan on going multiple times!

😱 what a beautiful mansion. I did the self guided audio tour along. It was very informational and interesting. It took me about 2 hours to do the tour.
I got $2 discount for being a AAA member.
All staffs were courteous. They don’t allow selfie sticks inside breakers.
There is a big parking lot for visitors. You can park there and enjoy both breakers and cliff walk.

This mansion is Amazing! I didn’t know such property exist in the U.S. large massive floor plan. All interior design was influenced by France and Italy. I enjoyed walking around with the self guided tour from the App. I love the terrace balcony on the 2nd Level which has amazing ocean view. I am glad this building was maintained so well for the new generation to visit.
We booked Hunter House Tour in advance so they offer us free upgrade to trio visit ticket.

Really interesting! Not often you see a place like this. Be sure to download the free audio tour app and bring headphones as you walk through - definitely adds to the experience.
The mansion is ornate and incredible - pretty mesmerizing to look around and learn about the details and history. A worthy stop!

What an experience! It's amazing to see how much craftsmanship and skilled labor went into making this massive mansion. The grounds surrounding it are also very beautiful but unfortunately it was raining and windy when we went.

Amazing…. Of course!
Self-guided/paced tour was nice. (I didn’t happen to have earbuds, so had to resort to reading the transcript, but glad the app had that!). Would give 5 stars if it wasn’t quite so pricey…. Probably better to buy those combo tickets others have mentioned, but we didn’t plan on seeing more than one of these mansions…. We did a weekday in June, and it was moderately busy but not overly crowded and a very nice experience…
I’ve visited at least a few mansions, and this really is a well-maintained example of opulence. (Like gold-leaf on huge wall areas applied by hand, such that it looks like leather? Yikes…. I’m still trying to understand why “more” = “better”, but anyway…. It truly is amazing.).
My favorite room wasn’t even a room at all, it was the covered porch/veranda… with that ocean view…. Crazy stunning!

Amazing place to explore, and the audio tour app is really easy to follow. Make sure to take some headphones so you aren’t that person listening to the tour out loud!
The building itself is intriguing and the level of detail in the architecture is something to behold. It’s a modern copy of authentic European designs, but because of this it’s done in a crisper fashion - most notably gas/ electrics and heating are built into the house - where usually this was retrofitted and ruins the feel of the place!

Highly recommended! I visited the Breakers Mansion in Newport, RI a few months ago and it was absolutely breathtaking! I’ve toured many mansions before, but this is now my favorite place! The setting on the Atlantic Ocean is so beautiful and peaceful! I did the self guided tour and I very much enjoyed it! There was no rush and I could walk around at my own pace! I loved hearing about the history of the mansion and the Vanderbilt family! I also wandered around the gardens for an hour or two. Just breathtaking! I found delightful souvenirs in the gift shop and I finished up with lunch at the darling little cafe. It was a fun half day touring this lovely historic home! Newport is one of my favorite places to visit and I can’t wait to go back to visit this beautiful home and town!

This is such an iconic symbol of the guilded age. Its pure opulence. Such a beautiful home!! The tours are well done but for those who dont want to listen to audio also have a written synopsis. Good child's scavenger hunt, beautiful great lawn. The ticketing here is busy so might be better purchased at Marble House or The Elms. A good stop for early in the day.

I went here for the first time not knowing at all what to expect, I left absolutely loving the tour I took. The mansion is breathtaking to look at inside and out. The decor and views are wonderful to look at . The crowds were not too bad considering there was a cruise ship in port with tours in the area. I definitely recommend walking the whole grounds and doing the cliff walk behind the mansion as well as it has breathtaking views of the coast and other mansions.

Beautiful day! Mansion was grand! I was happy to see period pieces of furniture that I believe were part of the owners and not donated by historical society or personal artifacts (if someone is aware if that's the case would love to know)
The grounds were nice not much to them but the ocean view was perfect!

With the multi-house tickets, no reservation is needed. Very convenient to show up when we want and visit the multiple houses as we feel like. This one is definitely the most grand, with over-the-top decor to display wealth. Not very interesting architecturally but unusual for its interior decor. Busy.

Very nice place to visit. I can't even imagine spending $50 million dollars to build a house that big back in the day. The lady there told me it's worth over $350 million now or more it no one really knows. They have a self guide tour with an app that you can listen to. Staff are nice and they have staff at pretty much in every room so you can ask questions. Worth the ticket price.

A really gorgeous place that’s quick to tour without the audio guide. I walked through in about an hour and really took my time to look at everything. The ceilings are gorgeous and you can see the historical impressions in the walls and columns. The view outside is gorgeous especially at the upper level of the house. There’s this huge level that overlooks the water and it is gorgeous.
Sadly, it’s blocked off by red rope. I understand the safety reasons for it since it’s a huge open wall to the water, but it was disappointing how far back the rope was. Otherwise, I got a good video of everything.
At the end there’s a little gift and souvenirs shop that’s a bit on the pricey side, but ofc it goes into maintaining this great community space. So it’s worth a little something to take home.

Absolutely amazing experience! Would highly highly recommend. Entry ticket was very affordable and the "palace" is absolutely beautiful. The estate is fantastic and the interiors are stunning. The place has been maintained very well and the folks there are very knowledgeable about the area. Wish we had some more time to spend there - would block out 2-3 hours for a fun visit. Make sure to spend some time on the walkway / bridge area.

Shipping and railroad magnate Cornelius Vanderbilt II's 70 room, 100,000 sq ft "Breakers" mansion is the epitome of American decadence and vanity during the "Gilded Age" of 1870s to 1910. This was the Vanderbilt's summer "cottage" for the months of July and August. Otherwise, the family resided in their residence on Fifth Avenue in Manhattan.
The Breakers was constructed by Richard Morris Hunt and is now a museum and location for special events and concerts. Ticket prices are $29 for adults and $10 for youth. We purchased our tickets online as part of a package with Viking Trolley Tours. Downloading an app provides for the audio portion of the self guided tour.
We arrived for our tour on November 28th, off-season. We were fortunate to have nice weather, 51⁰, which we're told by locals is a gift. At this time, the house is decorated for Christmas which adds enormously to the grandeur of the already lavish architecture, furnishings, and decor.
Much to Vanderbilt's dismay, he enjoyed the house for only a few years before dying in 1899. His wife inherited the home, eventually giving it to her daughter Gladys as her other six children weren't interested in the property. In 1948, it was leased to the Preservation Society of Newport County for $1 per year. It was later sold to the society in 1972.
While this house represents the shear decadence of lavish living, the architecture is something truly amazing and worth visiting and appreciating.

The main reason we stopped in Newport and it didn't disappoint. One of the most beautiful mansions I've visited with fantastic architecture that is extremely well maintained. The history of the house is fascinating and the staff is extremely knowledgeable, friendly and eager to help. The document for the self guided tour is well written and easy to follow. Overall great experience and would highly recommend.

I'm not sure if posting these photos is good or bad for the business, if the business thinks I'm doing something wrong, please let me know so I can delete it! My purpose is just to promote beautiful things. The Gilded Age. The most luxurious and famous mansion in Rhode Island!

If you’re looking to see only one of the mansions in Newport this is it. I went in early April and it wasn’t too busy but I can imagine it gets much crazier later in summer. If you plan on visiting any others the marble house is also worth a stop.

If you have the opportunity to visit The Breaker’s home, now part of the conservation society, do so. You’ll learn about this family’s architectural and design inspiration and their success in the gilded age. Download an app to listen to the audio tour. Personally I enjoyed the marble house slightly more.

One of my favorites in the Newport Mansions! Gorgeous, grand and definitely worth a visit! Be sure to do the audio tour on the Newport Mansions app (use earbuds or headphones if you have them) for the best experience! Paper copies of the audio tour are available in various languages as well if you don't want to use the app.

We visited The Breakers in December for Sparkling Lights. Having visited several times over the last 3 decades, visiting at night offered a different perspective.
In addition, the mansion was dressed in Christmas finery. The dimly lit rooms offered a warmth not felt during daylight hours.
Sparkling Lights is relatively small compared to other outdoor lights displays we have visited, however, it was satisfying and worth the price of admission.

Wanted to see this for awhile, but even more so after watching "The Gilded Age". Absolutely gorgeous! Self guided audio tour was informative, and easy to use.

I had visited the Breakers 7/8 years ago on a school trip and really wanted to revisit it. It's obviously ornate and gorgeous and if you really take the time, there is so much to appreciate in each room. There's so much to take in and the passion of artistry is in every single room. I highly recommend doing the audio tour though if you go because though there's text to read, it would've been more immersive and worth the cost to have that immersion. It is free though, you just need an app.

We went to see the Breakers when it was decorated for Christmas. It looked beautiful!! We listened to the audio tour which was very informative and not too long.
Parking was easy to come by and the place was not crowded. We visited on a Wednesday afternoon. The whole visit whit the gardens took approximately 2 hours. We had some coffee on the way out and had dinner in the city. It makes for a great day out.
The Cliff Walk is a picturesque walking trail spanning 3.5 miles, offering stunning views of the coast and magnificent architecture from the Gilded Age. Located behind the Newport Mansions, this scenic route remains often overlooked by tourists despite its breathtaking appeal. The trail begins at The Chanler and leads directly to the mansions along its path, providing visitors with an unforgettable experience of New England's beauty.
