Loved seeing Neyo, Mario and Pleasure P. The seats were perfect. No one was blocking my view and the sound was cool. Only thing I would mention was a problem is the size of the TV screens. They are small!!!! There was a line, but went fast.

Great venue. Not a bad seat to be found.
Parking however? The WORST. We circled for almost half an hour before finding a spot at a local public park.
Heidi Parent — Google review
Really cool, spacious yet intimate venue. Saw Rex orange county in here and it was truly memorable.

Very nice venue for outdoor concerts. It The surrounding views are spectacular. It is a well maintained area. There are stalls at which to buy drinks, food, or souvenirs. Worth the long drive to Atlanta
Renea Young — Google review
This is a beautiful venue. It is very open and doesn’t feel crowded. I would say the biggest thing for me was it’s basically in the middle of a neighborhood. If your going to a concert I would definitely get there and hour early. When you leave. For people who Uber: We Ubers to the venue. It was. Fast and inexpensive. A Uber was going to cost $65 (a forever wait time) or $75 for a taxi cab driver who was there right then. So it was just a small learning curve.

Went to see Ne-Yo Champagne and Roses Tour and absolutely loved it!!! The seating is bench seats and you have plenty of room for people to walk/dance without having to squeeze thru/move or climb over anyone. There is lawn seating that has stone/grass bench like seats and plenty of drink stands! There is also concession stand with drinks & food behind the stage area. Will def come back for another concert!!

My number one favorite concert venue. I recommend arriving early for the easiest parking and access to the venue, but once you’re in, it’s such a great location. There aren’t bad seats anywhere in the amphitheater, but if you have a chance to sit on the floor, I recommend it.
Amanda Arnold — Google review
Venue was great, sounded fantastic, people working very friendly. Only thing that is tough, unless you want to go down super early, hard to find parking.
Shawn Dwyer — Google review
I hadn't visited Chastain Park in quite awhile but was very pleased with the makeup of the seating arrangement. There was grass on the upper seating when last I visited. Eventhough the walking for parking was grueling, the excitement of being under the stars again, made it all worth it. Ron Isley was the opener. There seemed to be some glitches in the audio. Also with his and his band's dress. But we thoroughly enjoyed it. And as usual, Frankie Beverly and Maze gave me back some of my past. Sitting under the stars at the long forgotten, Southern Heritage Festival in Birmingham's long gone Fair Park. Oh what a 21st birthday I had. Nonetheless, Chastain remains one of my favorite places to take in some people watching, finger popping, hand clapping , 'Joy and Pain'!!!! Though we had rain the moment Maze hit the first note, the joy of the gathering was apparent that very few took to the e it's as the liquid sunshine came down. Security was prudent and thorough on my end. I felt safe because of the precautions taken. Post COVID looked like days of old at Chastain.....
Steven Debrow — Google review
Frankie Beverly and Maze don’t owe us anything from their performance at Chastain Park! Truly amazing and the venue was outstanding! Tables set up perfectly. Each with a trash bag to dispose of your garbage. Clean restrooms, OMG, what a blessing. Never a long line. An attendant keeping the bathrooms clean! Whomever is running this place, HATS OFF TO YOU! Customer service was amazing! That’s hard to find these days! Y’all are truly doing something right!
Andre Workman — Google review
Easy parking, all seats are good, great acoustics, the staff is friendly and helpful, the merchandise area is not in the best spot, the food is average, video screens are so small they are really useless but with the size of the venue they are unnecessary.
Jonathan Hetrick — Google review
Fabulous acoustics! Seating is easy to locate and wide isles with low steps make the venue very convenient to navigate. You will pay to park close but it's worth it and there's no issue getting in or out they do a Fantastic job keeping the flow of traffic. Food was moderately priced for a buckhead venue although not many gluten free options. Alcohol on site and the list of preforming bands is Awesome! Definitely worth it! If you have never been it is open outdoors so dress according to your weather and time. Most of all Have Fun! 🥰
Sabrina Renee — Google review
Definitely enjoyed the show. Check the website to see whether or not you can bring coolers to the show. There is a bag restriction. Parking is kind of pricey ($30) and limited but it's worth it bc ride share apps were charging more than that one way when the show was over. I'd suggest arriving early and wearing shoes you can walk in. There are officers out there to direct traffic at the end of the event so exiting the area isn't too bad, still expect an added 15 minutes on your commute. Seats from the side row R are pretty good.
Brittany Mac — Google review
Great open-air venue is spectacular. There is not a bad seat in the amphitheater and offers limited covered seating.
Check the venue website to see if you can bring a picnic and coolers before attending as concert policies differ between performances. Enjoy and have fun this summer!

ATL resident here and our first time exploring Chastain and found it to be a very good example of an outdoor venue perfect for our Barenaked Ladies concert.
We loved the stone amphitheater, really had the ability to bounce around that sound. available parking for about $30 for our show though yours may vary.
The food lines went pretty fast and all the staff were exceptional leading to a wondeful night out for us dogs.
Pup & Pup — Google review
Nice venue to see concerts at. Be prepared to pay $25 for parking but we got a good spot that was easy to exit from after the show. Food was good for concert food, hot and fresh tenders and fries. I love how wide the aisles are so people can cross freely in front of you with out you having to get up and move and bump knees or whatnot.

We weren't here for the normal reasons people go here. Instead we were here for an arts festival. Mother Nature was on her best behavior and gave us ideal weather for the first weekend in November.
The new stadium by the Braves is called Truist Park and it is a beautiful place to watch a game. It has great views of the city and the baseball field is in perfect condition. The team recently moved into this new stadium so it is not yet open to the public, but tickets are available for purchase.
First time at the park and went in with no plan. Paid for GA ticket and parked in lot 129 as it opened the earliest.
First off, parking is not something to go unplanned here. Drove around looking for parking and found most areas close their business and then open parking. So I jumped online and bought the pass. My advice, but in advance and make it simple.
Getting into the stadium was a breeze an I never even made it to my “seats.” Multiple laps around the stadium looking at the shops, vendors and food. The park had a great layout and even walking around there were plenty of great views of the game.
Highly recommend adding this to your list of places to catch a game!

Been here for several games and love this park. Everything feels new and top of the line. Service staff are usually very friendly and cheer the team on along side the fans. Very rarely is a game low in attendance so make sure you get there with plenty of time and join in the fun. There’s something between nearly every inning to keep the crowd entertained. Also, there’s several special sections in the park that have specific amenities only available in that section, so make sure you explore around and have fun!
John Steese — Google review
Great time at this park! Lots of areas to explore. Good view from any seat! Friendly folks all around. Nice concessions. Pay for parking in advance, or take a taxi if you're close enough. Either way, be ready to walk. June 2023

Well, I've been wanting to experience the new Atlanta Braves Stadium for forever. I did it!! Loved it, loved it, loved it. Where to begin... Plenty of premium parking available on-site for a cost (purchase online in advanced for a guaranteed spot). Overflow lots and neighboring businesses accommodate patrons during games at a more reasonable expense, though uncovered walking will be involved. Extremely long lines are at the entrance gates but moved pretty well, considering hundreds of fans are in attendance. Seating sections are clearly marked and staffed for assistance. Concessions are standard with a few restaurants located within. A couple of fan experience events are staggered throughout the stadium. Bathrooms were well maintained. Pricing is still ballpark high no matter what you're purchasing (souvenirs, food or beverages, etc). TV monitors are placed everywhere, so if you are in line, you can see the game.

We did a field trip with my kids' school, so we got a behind-the-scenes tour. Pretty cool experience for it being Spring Training time without players or anyone to talk to. The tour guide was a little...different, but the kids still enjoyed seeing everything.

My recent visit to Truist Park for a Braves vs. Rangers game was great. This ballpark is an absolute gem, nestled in a fantastic area of Atlanta. From start to finish, it was a fantastic place to enjoy America's favorite pastime.
The park itself is top-notch, boasting a plethora of food and drink options. What sets Truist Park apart is its surrounding area. Connected to the stadium are numerous bars, restaurants, and stores, making it a true destination for fans. Whether you want to grab a bite before the game or continue the fun afterward, there's something for everyone right at your fingertips.
I will definitely visit again.

The stadium is designed wonderfully. It’s really big, the field is pretty, has 5 levels of seating, plenty of food stands throughout the stadium, good food prices & the stadium workers are friendly & generous with helping you find your way around. Game days the atmosphere is incredible throughout the whole stadium everybody is just relaxing & enjoying the game it’s an really awesome & fun experience.

A wonderful time, every time. I love this stadium. It stands at the end of such a huge and fun Plaza full of restaurants, entertainment, shopping, hotels, and living. I love all of the different seating package options at the stadium as well. You can purchase to be indoors, our doors, or any specialty areas. The food and drink options are definitely great for stadiums. Plus, an Amazing team. It's a win win.

Road the carriage to and from E43 parking. What an experience. The guys are great and know how to maneuver through traffic. We paid cash so not sure if they take credit cards.
The Braves were hitting it out of the park. It's been years since I have been to a major league game. So much fun.
Jo Popp — Google review
The new park is great. Right in the Battery. What a fun venue. We were able to see everything. The concessions were hot and fresh. Prices were reasonable for a sporting venue. The staff working was super friendly and knowledgeable.
I really enjoyed the memorabilia from the years past. It was interesting and I really enjoyed the history there.
Amy Franks — Google review
I went to a braves game last year and this was a nice modern baseball park. I loved the amenities and the park was very up kept. The food was very overpriced and that's unfortunate for the quality. Parking was suboptimal but not horrendous. If you never have been I would suggest checking out a braves game when you get a chance.
andi nicpon — Google review
I had the pleasure of visiting Truist Park for the first time with my wife and younger son, and it proved to be an incredibly memorable experience filled with excitement. The atmosphere and energy of watching a Braves game live far surpassed what we had previously experienced through television broadcasts. Although parking posed a challenge, the overall experience made it well worth it.
To ensure a smoother experience, I highly recommend booking parking in advance to secure a spot closer to the venue. As my wife had a knee problem, I dropped them off near the entrance and then proceeded to park the car. It took me approximately 15 minutes to walk to the park's entrance. After the game, I left a bit early to retrieve the car and met my family halfway, making it easier for my wife and son.
Apart from the parking difficulties, the event itself was fantastic, leaving us with cherished memories. The vibrant atmosphere and the thrill of being part of the game created an unforgettable experience.

It's absolutely amazing. Excellent food and amenities. The battery has all your shopping needs. Get a haircut while you're there. There are plenty of fan participation activities. It is one of the best baseball stadium experiences.

Watched the Braves crush my Red Sox. Had great seats and really enjoyed the game. Back to back homers by the Braves in the first inning and another one later in the game. Great service and a real upscale experience. We had parking passes, and zoomed past the jam up at the lower garage entrance and went up to the roof. Great tip to get in quick next time you are here.

We took the stadium tour and really enjoyed it. Our tour guide shared so many interesting facts about the young stadium and the history of the team. Plus, due to the player lock out, we were able to see the player dressing room and go on the field, which aren't normally stops on the tour! Would recommend the tour as an activity for tourists and locals alike! (We weren't there for a game, but I've heard that's a great experience, too.)

Really big, very nice park only issue they didn't have the smaller souvenirs in all the stores. Only one which had a long line as we were leaving. So it took a while to get our souvenir. Oh, yeah, and the app lies, parking lot E47 is more than a 15 minute walk. And the rickshaw drivers have different prices.

Beautiful park! It is well laid out, and has plenty of food choices to cover whatever you are craving. We've been to a couple of games here, and plan on visiting much more!

Downright one of the best MLB stadiums/ballparks/fields that you’ll EVER see. The experience you get is legendary. I’ve never been able to post my actual experience, so I’m just putting some of my pictures and videos from last night. Everything about this place just screams amazing to me. The first time I came here was an amazing experience. This is not my first time being at this place though. I hope that more people can come here and experience the fun as well. It will definitely be worth your time.

Truist Park baseball stadium for the Atlanta Braves in the Atlanta metropolitan area. This is one nice park. The Braves Hall of Fame area is incredible. Check my reviews, rarely do I give 5 stars. This ballpark deserves it. Like all ballparks or venues, everything in here is going to cost more than what it costs outside the park. For example, a 20 oz Coke is $6.45.

I went to the Roxy for concert and may NEVER be back. They had NO adequate parking for handicap needs. The lines were INSANE. Entering we found there was NO adequate ADA accommodation for someone with a huge fall capacity. They invited paying $50-100 more for balcony seating. It was full. Who heard of paying for a disability. I haven't. We posted ourselves by a pillar. But one hour in line then 2 hours stand complicated the disability and was problematic. HORRIBLE. I called and called beforehand and sent unanswered messages to ask for details on accommodations with absolutely no luck. They didn't care either. Never again. Parking was far or pay $50 and permit. Shameful. I could nor find any tickets besides $70 general admission. It was my birthday and I wanted something different. This was too much.

Absolutely beautiful park! We have taken the full tour of the park during the off-season, and I would highly recommend taking it if you get a chance. The entire battery is amazing! The restaurants and shops are all top-notch, and parking is always pretty easy.

Great place to go have a nice walk, grab some dinner, and shop. We took some visiting family there for the holidays and they enjoyed it. There’s a restaurant called Superman and I highly recommend trying it out. I’ve also been there on Game days and they’re super fun here for the whole family. The environment is friendly, fun, relaxing, yet energetic (if you love baseball).

This is a beautiful stadium. In our seats, we could not see the screen. There are lots of food options and the staff was all friendly. Make sure and know the guidelines for bringing stuff in. They will not allow any bags they can't see through.
Jack Phillips — Google review
Without Twice, Truist Park is just a huge, hard to navigate stadium with overpriced water. BUT, put Twice and ONCE in there and you have a core memory you won’t ever forget.
But for real, prepare to walk very far from parking, prepare for the weather since it’s an open stadium. Be smart and bring small clear bags that will pass security easy and try to get closer seats. Compared to other stadiums, these seats are much less steep and therefore way further from the stage. If you’re able to pay a bit more for a closer section then it would be worth it.
sarah evamarie — Google review
Great ball park. So much better the any other park or stadium I've been to. I got there with time to explore. The Battery is loaded with places to eat. In e at the Battery just roam the area without fear of traffic. The stadium is full of things to do, to buy and just enjoy.

Another great Braves Fest in the books. Thank you Atlanta Braves for always putting on such a wonderful experience. Also, thank you to all the players for signing autographs. For small collectors like myself, it means so much.
I cannot wait until opening day. Through rain or shine, win or lose, I'll always cheer for you!!
Go Braves!!

Well I’m not a fan of the suburban ballpark trend but I have to say we had a great experience at Truist. The pregame atmosphere was the best I’ve experienced of the 27 MLB parks I’ve been to and should be emulated by most clubs around baseball. It probably helps that the Braves are perpetually good, but there was truly something for everyone and gave people a reason other than the game to come out.

We stopped here for lunch to try our Fox Bros BBQ and it was delicious. Parking was free for up to 3 hours. A ton of great restaurants there. Luckily we went on a non game day so was peaceful and beautiful weather. We enjoyed our lunch outside!

Great ballpark with lots to do for everyone. Excellent views from all areas of the stadium. A good variety of local and typical ballpark fare. The beer is overpriced as expected, but $4 grilled hotdogs are to be found.

The only negative experience I had here was expensive beer. Other than that I had a great time at this beautiful park! Turner Field will always have a soft spot in my heart but I gotta say Trust Park is amazing!!!
Michael Tittle — Google review
I’m not a Braves fan but this park is amazing.
Easy to walk around, plenty of food options and being able to see the action from the main concourse is a huge plus!
Prices were not bad for what you get, other parks and arenas are a lot more expensive.
Highly recommend for an enjoyable night at the ballpark.
There are a lot of options outside the stadium before the game but about 50% of them close or cut the food off after the game.
Andrew Coniglio — Google review
Date night with the hubby, and we had A BLAST! The Battery has AMAZING places to eat, watch the game, or just come for lunch/dinner.
Braves won that night, and the atmosphere was spit on the entire time. The prices are CRAZY, but it's a ballpark lol. 2 20oz sodas cos us almost $13, so be prepared.
There are restrictions on the bags you can bring in. Keep them clear or a thin, cross-body style. Be prepared for the metal detectors, but they have to keep us safe!
It's an amazing experience everyone should try at least once.
Marietta Square is a charming city park, bordered by restaurants and shops, featuring a replica of the Liberty Bell, benches and a fountain. Visitors can enjoy the vibrant atmosphere with live music, browsing through numerous vendors' stores or simply relaxing on one of the benches. The surrounding murals add to the park's aesthetic appeal. Free 2-hour parking is available nearby for convenience.
This visit was a pleasant surprise. We visited thinking just a quaint little town with lots of shops, etc., but there was a full blown Festival happening! So much to do and see, so many little shops and vendors, live music, eating, browsing, buying, watching or just hanging out. We were traveling from Ohio and had toddlers to teens + our pooch and there was something for everyone. Great job little town of Marietta Square ❤🐕

I visited for a food festival. So very disappointed. Vendors tripled prices for just tasting items. Food wasn't good. Would not go to a food festival held here. Parking limited. Marietta police and fire dept. Were available to assust with situations. Very professional. I have visited just to sit in the gazebo or listen to live music. I have eaten at many of the restaurants there and was never disappointed. I’ve gone there on a date night and even was a spectator of several weddings at the gazebo. Enjoyed very much.i have never been disappointed with any of the restaurants that I've dined at. Many small restaurants and you can eat outside and enjoy. It's very quaint. Would recommend for a date night or just to go chill.

So many things to do at the city center of my hometown! The Strand Theater is still right there on the corner! There is a playground for the kids to enjoy, and there are public restrooms (real ones, not port-a-potty!) There are restaurants and bars all around the square. Social events are held frequently here. I was most recently here on behalf of Team Trivia filling in to run the weekly Trivia Game at Red Hare - The Still on the Square. Great bunch of folks there to enjoy a fun game of Trivia!

I always have such a great time when visiting Marietta square. So many restaurants and bars that are in walking distance of each other. The square itself is a great place to grab a bench and people watch or read. I visited for Chalktober fest, breakfast, and a book club meeting this week and every time was a different experience. There is a bookstore, magic shop, art studios, boutique shops and places to eat all around the square.

Located in the center of downtown Marietta, Marietta Square is a really fun and cute place that is centered with a pretty water fountain and a nice little park called "Glover Park." The vibes are great, and it's a great spot to bring kids or sit down and enjoy yourself!
There are a bunch of really cool shops directly next to the square. Some places I visited:
Rocket Fizz - super cool candy store with some exotic candy that I haven't tried before!
Tsunami - Latin American & Asian fusion cuisine, very yummy!
There was also some dragon store that I can't quite remember the name of, but the people working there were really kind and had a great sense of humor. Overall, very very cool place!

We visited on Saturday during Chalktoberfest. Do wish parking could be a little easier around the square, but it is to be expected during events. Really enjoyed the music and the art. Not sure why this year they didn't have as many food vendors out. But overall it was really nice day out.
Preserved site of an 1864 Civil War battle, with a visitor's center featuring a film & artifacts.
I purposely went to the park late in the afternoon, so I expected parking to be a pain, which it was. I really love visiting national park units though (40+ and counting), so it wasn't the worst thing in the world. I was there to hike anyway, but I used my America the Beautiful pass to cover the parking fee.
From the overflow parking lot, I bee-lined to the Visitor Center to get a map and my stamp. After that, I immediately started the 1-mile hike up the main trail to the summit. The trail started to ascend almost immediately and it's very rocky, so pace yourself if you need to. There aren't a huge number of benches along the trail, but the trails are extremely well marked.
Overall, this park is honestly one of the best maintained units I've ever seen, but I have to assume it's because of the number of locals who visit. Seeing it in spring is probably the best part because of all the beautiful flowering trees.
Shameless plug: I visit all kinds of parks and share them on my IG @domsdillydallies if you're interested!

There is a short connecting trail that follows alongside a creek at the base of the Dead Angle field on Cheatham Hill where the Illinois Monument is located. Along that trail are two of the most magnificent trees in the 2965 acre park. They’re both about the same size though one has it’s massive moss covered roots exposed.

Visitor center is really nice. Has a short film about the battle I found pretty touching. They have a first rate museum with a lot of items that are significant to the battle and Sherman’s campaign to capture Atlanta. There did not seem to be a lot in the way of interpretation on most of the trails other than a few plaques, but the visiting the “Dead Angle” and knowing what happened there is a really sobering experience.

Historical places are always a great place to find inspiration and reflection. There were some interesting lessons here along the self guided trails. Lots of walking and running, and families spending time together, while engaging in discussions about nature and history.
We will co.e and spend more time here on our next trip to Atlanta.

They seem quite apologetic and even celebratory of confederate war nostalgia, under the guise of "history". This is evidenced by their various monuments and historical markers that attempt to subtley depict the losing pro-slavery racist condederates as heroes whose deeds are somehow worthy of respect or rememberance. Utter gaslighting nonsense. A better monument would be to the countless slaves that were forced to undergo neverending unpaid labor under horrible conditions for their entire lives, to the sole benefit of the ruthless, unenlightened brutal confederates.

We only had about an hour to spend here but enjoyed the museum. I really like the battle field log with the cannon balls embedded in them, very cool. Didn't have enough time to hike too far, but the trails looked very nice from what we saw.

An amazing place if you really like to walk towards an historic place, the costume service in that place is really great the museum and the historic field… amazing!
The Ameris Bank Amphitheatre is an outdoor venue that can seat up to 12,000 people with a pavilion and lawn seating. It hosts famous acts and events. The lawn section provides ample space for visitors to bring their own chairs (excluding tall chairs) to sit on the hill in the center with a fantastic view of the show. Ordering food and drinks from Ticketmaster app is easy, without waiting in lines. Excellent sound quality and beautiful lighting make it a great concert experience.
I've been to a lot of concerts in the greater Atlanta area. But this is my first time at this venue. Parking was a little confusing at first. Mainly because I wasn't paying attention to the signs they had in several places directing you to various parking locations. My parking pass was included with the purchase of my ticket. I don't think I've ever had better general parking than I did here. It literally took me less than 10 minutes to walk from car to entrance of venue. The layout inside was easy to navigate. And the sound stage was awesome. I will be going back 100%. Ameris Bank Amphitheater only got 5 stars because more wasn't an option.

Sat in the lawn section and had plenty of room to choose from. We brought our own chairs (make sure they are not tall chairs) and sat on the hill dead center with a great view of the show. You can order all your food and drinks from the ticket master app and pick up without waiting in lines!
Sound was great and lights gave a great night show.

Great venue - lots of pluses and a few minuses.
Went to The Chicks concert last night and had a great time. We were in the pit (row BBB) which are the best seats I’ve ever had. The sound was great and the venue is well laid out. Traffic getting in was heavy but at least moving. I think the prices for concessions weren’t crazy which was nice as well.
On the negative side - getting out of parking lot was a dumpster fire. It’s like all the people directing traffic called it an early night and pandemonium ensued. Our row sat for nearly 30 minutes and never moved. Although we were in the covered section, once the concert started it got super hot very quickly because of how close the seats are pack and virtually no airflow.
Rob Huey — Google review
This concert was our first time there. We will definitely go back! The staff is very courteous and helpful. Sitting on the outside of section 101 had good pointers. Great for catching the breeze! Not so great for the distraction on the outside walkway, and everyone seated in the same row going in and out.
Overall, it was still a great concert!

Great concert, very good venue. Confusing on the parking but once you get in, it all grand!
Like all Amphitheaters it's outdoors. Covered for the most part but it can cool down quickly at night so bring a layer to put on if needed!

While the name has changed over time the venue remains outstanding. Every seat offers not only a great view but some amazing acoustics as well. A seat on the lawn is also a great option to take in some live music. Plenty of food and drink options round out an amazing experience.

We had the best time at the Jelly Roll concert. Ameris kept us in the loop on all details about our visit. We know what items were and were not allowed. We had our mobile tickets saved, ready to go. All staff there were very friendly & helpful. We parked in Lot B deck. Very close to the amphitheater. The sound, lights, everything was perfect! We had the best time. The way it’s set up, even the folks on the lawn have a great view of the stage since it’s a lifted area. Seats aren’t real comfortable, but you’re standing a lot anyway. There is a little more room to walk the isles than most places we’ve visited. If you have to get up to leave your seat, you’re not having to making everyone stand up. That’s nice. Great experience! I couldn’t believe how fast we flew thru the line to get in. It was really long, but moved very fast. Great procedures they have along with security & staff. Excellent venue!

This was an extremely cool venue for the Arctic Monkeys to play at! The way that the hill is built into the amphitheater is amazing and the surrounding vendors and area is also great. Beautiful location and amazing show!

Easily my favorite venue in the metro Atlanta area. The snacks are reasonably priced, the staff is friendly, and the breeze coming down the hill is lovely. We sat in the ADA section and had an excellent view.

We have seen SO many great bands here! Love this venue as we don't have to go downtown. The venue does a great job getting people in and out quickly. Exiting the parking lots can take some time but that's to be expected with the mass exodus that happens at the same time.

A bit hectic, but manageable. Parking can be challenging if your attention is not fully devoted. The facility was clean, well staffed and overall a good time. Covered seating was a treat with spacious aisles staggered rows and leg room for days considering what they used to be lol. Will definitely be seeing another show at Ameris Bank Amphitheater in the future and recommend anyone interested to give them a try.

On August 1st, we went to see Jinjer, Breaking Benjamin, and Disturbed. We had an amazing time! One word of advice, with VIP tickets, if they say fast pass is at a certain time, don't arrive earlier. If you do, you will have to stand and wait until the fast pass time to enter. We didn't know, so where we had to stand in line was hot and directly in the sun. Once we entered, our experience was top-notch. The food was delicious, and the mixed drinks were sublime. They also have a soda souvenir cup that you get free refills for. When it came time for the performances, all three artists were amazing. We didn't sit down the entire show. There was so much energy and hype from the bands, that it truly was an unforgettable experience. We will definitely attend another show here.

Saw Jelly Roll in concert. It was the best concert I have ever attended. Make sure you look at the restrictions on the website you go!! They wouldn't let our chairs in because they said there too tall. We rented the last four chairs at $4.00 apiece. Will definitely go again though, with the right size chairs lol!
Joni Jenkins — Google review
We enjoyed this venue. Parking was $25 even though we had purchased over $300 in tickets that should have come with parking passes. They purposely do not forward the passes on a resale
Audio was lousy and muffled for some remarkably clear vocalists. You are going to this location for the show part. If you want to hear some vocals, try the tabernacle, fox or Roxy.

One of the best places by far I have ever been to watch a concert!! The staff is amazing and courteous and the place is wonderfully kept up. I can’t say enough about how impressed I have been for the last 5 concerts here!! Highly recommend seeing shows here! Have more booked in the upcoming months. Other venues should take lessons from Ameris and take some notes on how you run your facility!! AAA+++++.. Keep up the great work!!

I’ve been here a few times in the past couple years. I’ve always had a good time. I saw Breaking Benjamin before and it was amazing! But tonight was great! Every song I listened to in high school they played. I got to see bands I’ve listened to for almost 20 years including Breaking Benjamin. It was AMAZING! I did NOT want to move. This was the best feeling ever and I’m so glad I came tonight!

Drove several hours with my son for the Sessenta show. The staff were amazing and cannot say thank you enough to Donna who made the night one that my son and I will remember for life. Your acts of kindness will be paid forward many times.

Great venue, EXTREMELY cramped seating. Sound mix is consistently good. Venue is kept clean and has good staff. Parking in lot A is closer than some places I've been even without paying for it. The seating is TERRIBLE. I'm an average size guy, maybe even on the small side, and I was pressed against the guy next to me, even when we were standing. God forbid the person next to you is larger or drunk or both. If leave at that point because it would ruin the event. At it is I avoid it unless it's the only place to see the band in the next couple of years.

We love Avalon, you can’t really go wrong here. Kids love playing here on a nice summers day and they have many different events throughout the year. Good options of stores and restaurants. Only downer is some people in the stores - can be racist and look down on ‘brown’ people, until they hear me speak and realise I’m British. Then it all changes, which is so wrong.
Neelima Khan — Google review
Great place to come and enjoy the shops and hangout with friends and family.
BUT think again if you want to come in the evening on the weekends.
Unless you enjoy getting your ear drums blown out your head from the trunks and cars these young kids pop in the parking deck and out in the main center.
It’s not funny. It’s dangerous, obnoxious and annoying.
I called the security here because one of these guys thought it was going to be funny to speed in the parking deck next to the pottery barn and purposefully sped up when they saw me speed walking to the car.
What did security do? Absolutely NOTHING. All the gentleman said was they’re aware of the issue but there’s nothing they can do.
Hopefully they don’t get hit with a lawsuit cause they can’t do “anything” when someone actually gets hurt.

Along with shopping, the mall also offers a wide variety of dining options, including a play area for kids and ice skating in the winter, bars, grill restaurants, and even a Regal movie theater with 12 screens. The mall is beautifully designed with modern architecture and plenty of natural light. The atmosphere is lively, and the staff is friendly and helpful. Smithsonian affiliate with hands-on permanent & traveling exhibits on the Civil War-era railroad.
This place is amazing. It is a completely new museum, far from the giant barn it used to be. Apparently they are now associated with the Smithsonian and have really expanded their exhibits. It is also completely handicapped accessible. At $10 or less per person, this is a great place to visit.

They give discounts to seniors (age 65) $8.00, active duty $5.00, but no discounts for disabled military. Regular adults are $10.00.
This is not a Civil War museum, though it has some Civil War memorabilia, it is a train museum, and a place for kindergarten children age to go.
The museum is pro-Union, not so much for the Confederacy though located in Kennesaw, Georgia.
I recommend going someplace else unless you are into trains or have very very young children.

Enjoyed this place, went with my friend, her mom and her two sons. The kids are ages 9 and 6 and love trains. I happened to catch the time of the museum celebrating it's 50th Anniversary that Tuesday the admission was free. It was a few hours away from home as we visited from Columbia, SC. The children love trains and it would have still been worth the price as they enjoyed a lot of the interactive exhibits and the children's interactive stations. Then after a couple of hours at the museum we went across the street to the Frozen Cow and enjoyed some very good ice cream. I personally liked the Banana Foster's special on the menu.
It was well worth the trip as the museum was not busy and the gift shop had plenty of unique items for train enthusiasts of all ages to get things big or small. We definitely plan on returning to the museum and the Frozen Cow soon!

This is such a unique place for a wedding or any event! I recently photographed a wedding here and I was really impressed with the whole facility and all that they offer in the space. If you rent out the building for an event, your guests will be able to go through the whole museum and you'll also have a large space for dinner tables and dancing under some market lighting. It's also in a great spot because it's right in downtown Kennesaw area so there are lots of restaurants close by. Highly recommend!

We recently moved to the south and I've always loved history. This place was a wonderful, insightful, and educational experience. We told the ticket booth teller we were new to GA and they gave us a quick run down of everything as well as a handout with a map. Some of the historic artifacts left me speechless and the stories they told were just amazing. I highly recommend visiting!

Very pleasant surprise. Quite a bit more to see here than we had anticipated.
Museum is laid out well with a tremendous amount of information to absorb. I love looking at all the detail of the iron work, and the equipment used. Couldn't stop thinking about how they could accomplish all that detail back then.
There's a short version of The Great Locomotive Chase movie that was very well made for a local production that was worth watching as well - about 20 minutes.
So much more insight as to how important the supply line from Atlanta to Chattanooga was in the war.
And the "General" - the train itself, was in there at the end.
Missed the senior discount cut by a few months, and I never worry about getting military discounts , it was only $10 anyway, and worth it.
We loved it! And the people working there were extremely helpful and friendly as well.

A 963-acre park known for Indian Seats rock formation, with hiking trails & a visitor center.
This trail stands out as one of the most accessible options. With multiple trailheads, you can experience a fresh perspective each time you explore it. It's also suitable for trail running. What I appreciate is the flexibility to create your own unique route, adjusting the grade, type, and distance according to your preferences. You have the freedom to customize your experience whether you opt for a 2, 4, 6, or 9-mile trail. I particularly enjoy the 4-mile Indian Seat side loop and the 6-mile combination of the west side 2-miler and the 4-mile Indian Seat. It has been my preferred trail for years.

Beautiful place for a moderate hike to the Indian Seats on top. Lot of parking there with a visitor center. There are two other parking areas about a mile away, be careful about your parking place and the direction while coming back to your parking. Great views all around the top. There is plenty to keep kids busy like the huge treehouse, the turtles, and things in the visitor center. There are long and short trails, and are well maintained, with wonderful views. There are restrooms, some of them are not open on Sundays.

Beautiful and fun park for all ages! Two colored pavilions with a lot of picnic tables, there are working whales out here by The pavilions, there are tons of trash cans for your convenience. The bathrooms are open and they are very clean. Playground is open. The only downfall is there's no swings for smaller children. Lots of parking, great walking trails. NO dogs allowed.
And yes the water fountains behind the bathrooms do work!!
I recommend this trail, it only takes about 20 minutes to hike up. The view is spectacular on the top of the mountain. It kind of give me the mini version of Stone Mountain feels. No dogs allowed.

I was told that there was a trail close to my house I was kinda shocked, and took some time out of the next weekend to check it out.
I'm certainly glad that I did! It was pretty, and lightly strenuous hike for a Saturday morning. I took a friend and we didn't do the full trail, because she had something to do after, but I'm definitely interested in going back and finishing the whole thing.
For those with kids, the Fairy Trail is neat because people have made a bunch of little "fairy homes" that they placed alongside the trail. It's funny and provides a bit of whimsy to the hike.
All in all, I would definitely suggest heading over on a Saturday or Sunday day trip.

It is a great place to go on some hiking trails and be at peace and get some excercise. They are moderate to slighlty strenuous to hike with the hills if you are not used to hiking. Trails are well kept. If you plan on hiking make sure to have a good pair of hiking boots to wear. Its is not dangerous but the ankle support is a good idea. It is one of the more refreshing hiking trails I have done lately. There is not a view like other mountains but if you are looking to get away and be in a peaceful place for a bit, this is the place. I strongly recommend giving the hiking trails a go.

I'm a local here. It's sad to see the mall dated and not kept up. We were excited to see them starting to paint. We were hopeful they cared about the place. Then the painting stopped... just 1 store on the corner was painted. Now, it's two colors. Some of the great stores have left. I used to make this my area to shop, but it's rare I go now.
We did hear that the place is bringing entertainment. We hope that sparks the owner to give the place some deserved TLC. - making the mall great again!

I recently visited North Georgia Premium Outlets and had a fantastic shopping experience! The outlet mall had so many stores and products available at reasonable prices, and I was able to find some great deals. What's more, they even gave us additional discounts, such as an extra 15% off for certain stores if you're a student.
I was particularly impressed with the selection of clothes at Levi's, Columbia, and Tommy Hilfiger. I found some really pretty shirts at Levi's and some cozy knit shirts at Tommy Hilfiger. The selection was amazing, and I had a lot of fun shopping.

The gardens were a delight to see. This time of year, the daffodils are the main exhibit and they are beautiful! You are surrounded by a sea of gold and white. At the gate, maps are available for you to take one. The walking paths have many signs and arrows to guide you through the park so it is easy to maneuver. There are restrooms and a cafe at the welcome center. This a scenic and peaceful place to visit. I will definitely go back to view more exhibitions in the future.

Large, expansive gardens! Lots of gorgeous daffodils, tulips, bridges and ponds throughout. Be prepared to do lots of walking up hills to see the flowers and we also walked a good distance from the parking lot. We visited on a very busy Saturday during peak daffodil season, but the gardens are large enough that we never felt cramped or crowded. The entrance price was a bit steep, but we enjoyed ourselves! If we lived closer, we would've definitely bought an annual pass to save money. Overall, recommended!

My wife dragged me here on the last day of our vacation. As much as I was not looking forward to it I LOVED IT! It was so serene and beautiful! I especially enjoyed the Japanese garden. We ate lunch and that was really nice too. The staff was amazing and very helpful!

Such a beautiful garden! Been twice this spring. The cherries were finished last weekend so I was glad I saw them earlier. I love all the places to sit as you wander around. Looking forward to more visits and seeing the new(ish) wildflower area. Look for the cat - it loves some attention!

This was a great hike. Cost was $20 person. This place is very nice. Lunch was at a good price. $7.50 for a chicken salad sandwich. Would not bring small kids if you want to do the whole park, they will get bored. I can see during different times of the year that you would want to come see the different flowers and trees.

Such a wonderful place, beautiful all year around with a very laid back, seemingly very happy and friendly staff. Facilities are always clean and very pretty. Definitely their Japanese garden is magical.
If you live close by, definitely worth getting the membership.
We see snakes around the ponds every time. The frog escaped by the way. Careful with kids around the pond banks.
The manor is a hike up. Not a bad idea to skip if you have elderly in the group.

Gibbs Gardens is an absolutely beautiful place to visit. With 16 different gardens on over 300 acres, it is truly a world class garden. The manor house with seven terraces of gardens is nothing short of stunning and a must see. There is plenty to enjoy including numerous ponds, bridges, nature trails and waterfalls. Be ready for a good hike and allow several hours when visiting. The garden has a gift shop with restroom facilities and cafe. My wife and I had a delightful visit. Gibbs Gardens was one of the highlights of our trip while touring Georgia. Hats off to Jim Gibbs and his family for sharing their wonderful estate, home and gardens for us all to enjoy.

This place is a hidden gem where locals & newcomers can indulge in sights & sounds of the natural world. I was delighted to see that there was a replica of Monet’s water lilies on the premises. The Japanese garden was beautiful, and amazing. The wildflower area was massive! You could walk in it for over an hour. So many different colors of the fall season were present. Lots of different varieties of plants and trees too. There are statues all through out which adds something special to each area. You are not just going to see the latest flowers in bloom, you are escaping from the world and entering peace & tranquility. It is one giant walking trail, which leads up to a beautiful Manor House filled with more interesting landscaping & surprises. Their gift shop had lots of adorable and useful items.

I saw advertisements for Gibbs Garden and the daffodils for a couple years. Then when we went I was so happy we had. Now we go back for different seasons through the year. It is always so beautiful. Gibbs Gardens are truly one of the hidden gems of Georgia. Pictured are spring flowers, fields of daffodils in spring, the Japanese gardens, and a couple of the water features. Take the family for a day! It's a great place to relax, look at the sky and nature, and let go of everything else.

My friend and I decided to spend a day at Gibbs Garden, and it did not disappoint! Our favorite part were the wildflowers and loving on the two cats that live on the grounds. The on site cafe was reasonably priced, and as a person that eats a vegan diet, I was afraid they wouldn’t have any options for myself .. but I was able to get the grain bowl without the cheese. It was delicious. They also have vegan bars for a quicker snack option as well. It took us about four hours to really enjoy the place as well as sitting down and eating. There’s also plenty of parking.

It is so peaceful and relaxing here. It's definitely a great place to spend a couple of hours. My husband and I loved it, and we will absolutely be back. I can't wait to see the gardens in all four seasons.

Gibbs Garden is an enchanting haven that captivates visitors with its meticulous attention to detail and natural splendor. Spanning across acres of carefully curated landscapes, the garden is a masterpiece of horticultural artistry. Each section boasts a unique blend of vibrant flowers, lush greenery, and strategically placed water features, creating a harmonious symphony of colors and textures.
The Japanese Gardens, in particular, stand out with their tranquil ponds, meandering paths, and meticulously pruned trees, evoking a sense of Zen tranquility. The seasonal blooms add an ever-changing tapestry to the scenery, making every visit a new experience.
The garden's design demonstrates a deep appreciation for nature's aesthetics, offering visitors a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Whether you're an avid gardener, a photography enthusiast, or simply seeking a peaceful retreat, Gibbs Garden is a must-visit destination that promises a sensory journey through the wonders of the natural world."

Wow. Exceeded all expectations. I like this better than Atlanta Botanical Gardens because Gibbs blends into hilly terrain with natural tree cover so it feels like it was always there. It is HUGE! Be prepared to walk up inclines and plan on being here for 4 hours so you have time to rest between walking, it's good exercise. Although it only opened in 2012 to the public the plantings are so natural you think it was all here forever. The cafe food is good but it is takeout and you sit in the shady picnic grove. We waited 23 minutes in line on a busy Saturday at 1:30 pm in late March to get food so get there earlier if you need to eat faster. The parking lots also fill up so early arrival means less walking to the entrance.
Jonathan Beacher — Google review
The gardens were impeccable. The tulips were amazing. I loved seeing the pollinators in action. The staff was very accommodating and cordial and seemed to really enjoy what they do. The food at the cafe was good and priced reasonably. But the highlight of today's visit was meeting the resident cat 😻

The gardens are beautiful. Plenty of nature to see around. The daffodils were in full bloom and there were beautiful tulips to see as well.
It takes a good 3-4 hours to cover the garden at leisure and be sure to wear comfy shoes. The directions within the garden to explore was detailed.
Plenty of benches to sit upon and relax.
Couple of things which I believe should be improved
- Lack of water station / dispenser. There is one at the reception / main gate and none thereafter. They should have couple of them within the gardens. They could definitely have one at Manor house which is like a highlight and a mid-way point.
- Long walks: while this is a given, there could be a provision of a buggy for older people.
Parameshwaran G — Google review
Pretty place but their maps are confusing as is the entrance process. Their ticket booth is inside the welcome center which is after the person who scans your entrance ticket??? Also the ticket scanners weren’t very nice that day. People didn’t know where to go and I think that overwhelmed the workers. Crowd control would be beneficial here. Everyone else was nice though. It would be good to have one map instead of two side by side ones. It seems some of the garden areas overlap but the different maps are not oriented the same way so it’s hard to keep up with what direction you should go so you’re not backtracking. Also, a list of what is blooming that day would be good as well. We walked the daffodil fields for no reason as they were all gone. We could’ve skipped that area and had time to visit others. Be prepared for a LOT of walking and for hills. Although it’s mentioned on their site, trails really are not stroller or handicap friendly. It would be nice to see some concrete paths for individuals needing mobility assistance. Dirt paths don’t mix well with wheels. Overall, it was a decent trip and I might visit again but improvements are needed.

Just WOW. 🤩 Gorgeous grounds. Is not very centrally located and far away but if you happened to be in this area, go here. Absolutely gorgeous grounds. Japanese garden area is beautifully manicured and tranquil. There are redwoods here that are majestic. I know Atlanta Georgia has lush trees but this is a whole other level. Bring your walking shoes and walk because it’s large and expansive. This place is a must!!! 🌳 👍🏼👍🏼

Really beautiful property, with plenty of room to walk about and see different seasonal plantings in bloom. We were there during Cherry blossom, tulips, and daffodils in bloom. The staff was great and knowledgeable. Well worth the drive and entrance fee. Will definitely want to go back and visit again.
The Dahlonega Gold Museum, located in a former courthouse, highlights the local culture and early gold rush of the area. The museum showcases a rich and poignant history with captivating stories about gold that will spark your imagination and inspire you to explore the waterways. The knowledgeable staff provides an informative experience for visitors.
My wife and I visited Dahlonega and the Gold Museum as part of our trip to Northeast Georgia. We decided to spend time at the Gold Museum and follow it up with a tour of one of Dahlonega's gold mines (we happened to tour the Consolidated Mine on this trip; there's also the Crisson Mine). I highly recommend visiting this museum and then touring a mine. It's such a great way to experience the history of this fantastic town. The museum is on two floors of the old courthouse and is easily experienced in a couple of hours if you take your time. I appreciate that the museum does not gloss over the negative aspects of Dahlonega's history, but presents historical facts as they are. They also have a great little gift shop, and the people who staff the museum are very knowledgeable and friendly. There is a documentary that plays every so often on the second floor that tells more of the town's history quite well. This museum is well worth the reasonable admission price.

Completely worth of eight dollar fee to enter! The movie is fantastic and it is upstairs, there’s a very unique way to get to the second floor as well! The two Park Rangers downstairs were extremely helpful and knowledgeable about all of the questions that we had. The meant section as well as the first families in the area were very interesting. Gift shop is small and very niche but cute.
Upstairs is where the real history starts. From the introduction to the area as well as the mining equipment on display. It is fascinating to see. There was a volunteer guide up at the top, which was incredibly knowledgeable and let us see even gold inside the brick structure of the building. Totally amazing.
Overall, it was an incredible unique experience in downtown. Dahlonega cannot be missed anyway, so there’s no reason not to come!

It’s a small museum to know history about the town and how it turned out to be known for its gold mining. They have short movie after every 30 minutes shows how this town attracted miner around the world to try their luck to find gold. Museum is an old building with much history to look into. They have entrance fee and can be looked around with 30-60 minutes.

I went to the gold mine to do the entire tour with my boyfriend. It was around $40 for just the two of us. Expensive. The tour honestly sucked. (I'm sorry!) All we did the entire time was walk down and talk about the miners and what tools they used to mine back in the day. The guide, "Miner Liam" made a few tasteless jokes that I didn't find funny. Several were about child labor and how wonderful it used to be when it was legal, and then he said "the miners would come home black and blue, kinda like my wife", referring to assault, I guess. Idk it wasn't funny to me. I found the tour boring and wouldn't suggest it... Maybe with a different guide?
There was free gold panning after but I almost think it was a scam. I saw a bunch of gold flakes and little stones in my dirt but then the guy only took out one gold flake and one little stone that he gave me in a vial... It was disappointing. They don't give you any normal strainers by the way.... You have to slosh the dirt around a certain way to filter it, which isn't very simple. 😔👎🏻

Wasn't expecting much from this but I ended up being fascinated by the stories that were told to me by the kind, charismatic volunteer guide. The Dahlonega Gold Museum is an absolute hidden gem! Walking into this historic treasure trove, you can practically feel the rush of excitement that must've swept through the town during the gold rush. The exhibits are like a time machine, transporting you back to the wild days of prospectors and pickaxes. The museum doesn't just tell the story; it shows it with genuine artifacts and cool interactive displays. The highlight for me was checking out the old mint where they turned raw gold into legit coins. If you're into history or just looking for a fun day trip, this spot is pure gold! It also becomes so pretty during the Holiday season.

Although I haven’t gotten inside this Museum any time m, I just love this place in particular what people call as the “Dahlonega Square”. This museum stands at the middle of this town/ city. It is highly regarded and beautiful to look at especially during the late evenings / night time because of the lighting. It’s a gorgeous and a great place to visit during Holiday season especially all the bakery, chocolate shops, old fashioned milkshake selling Diners are just amazing here. Consolidated Gold Mine is an indoor tourist attraction that provides visitors with the opportunity to go on underground mine tours, pan for gold and precious stones and explore gemstone mining. Additionally, there is a gift shop available where visitors can purchase souvenirs. The tour guides are knowledgeable and friendly, providing an enjoyable experience for all guests. Visitors have the chance to find rubies, garnet stones and other precious gems while panning for gold.
I loved it there!
Miner Rusty was a great tour guide.
I got lots of cool pictures.
I panned for gold and got more gold than I expected. It’s a very cool little souvenir. I also decided to pan for precious stones and was very happy with what I found as well. I found a couple rubies and then I paid to have miner Mike turn a very large garnet stone into a pendant as a gift for my mother. He is the real deal.
Everyone is super friendly there and it’s a great time.
I will definitely be back to pan for more gold and stones. Maybe I’ll strike it rich!

We were visiting from South Florida this Easter weekend and really enjoyed the tour with our guide Reese. He was funny and personable. If you like museums and historical facts you'll really enjoy this experience. There is complimentary gold panning included with admission, and you can also add on searching for gems in a large sand bucket for $30 a bucket. The tour itself is really awesome, you'll go underground and hear all about the day in the life of a gold miner. Perfect for all ages.

We loved visiting the gold mine! My husband and I are mid-30s and in-laws in their late 60s. The tour was educational and the guide was funny. After the tour, they teach you to pan for gold and you’re able to try for yourself! Our guide helped me with my technique and later helped me look for gems. You’re able to buy a bucket and search for gemstones. We actually found emeralds, rubies, and sapphires! All the staff members were nice and welcoming. I recommend wearing shoes that you can get a little muddy. It was just a little wet down in the mine. Our guide Rusty was great. Miner Mike in the gift shop was great! He can turn your gems into jewelry (and the nicest man.)

The tour guide Lisa done a fantastic job. She included everyone in the group for interactive learning. She was a lot of fun. After the tour we could mine for gold or gems. We chose the gold option. We watched a short video on how to pan and Lisa gave us tips on how to use our pan. When we were left with a small amount of sand their were other workers to help retrieve our gold if we had any. Really enjoyed the tour and worth the money. The only downside was the outdoor bathroom could use a major renovation and the toilet seats were not made for short people. Children would need help to sit on them. Suggest that you use the bathroom elsewhere.

This was a fun little stop on our trip. Our guide was friendly and informative. They even have a setup to pan for gold or gemstones after your tour and the kids (and adults) all really enjoyed that. We went there this past weekend for the last tour at 4pm. It was not crowded at all considering it was the Thanksgiving weekend, maybe because we got there for the last tour. This place has great ambiance and views with exceptional wine, which can be enjoyed through their curated list of wines or by selecting from their menu. Great vineyard/winery tucked in the mountains of Georgia! We had stopped by this place after a little hiking in the hills and were not disappointed. From the ambiance to the views and oh ya, the wine itself, all superb!
Suggest getting the tasting menu as it gives you an option to go through their curated list of wines instead of just grabbing randomly off their menu. There is plenty of room as well for seating inside and out complete with covered umbrellas for sunny days or rainy ones like we had.

This is such a wonderful place for a nice and quiet getaway. My friends and I tried a couple wineries in the area but this was by far our favorite. The ambiance was so relaxing and everyone was so kind. We ordered a pizza that was delicious and the wine from the wine tasting was also superb. There was ample seating with a couple fire pits which made being outside in the chilly weather desirable. The view is so scenic and lush, I would highly reccomend the vineyard as a must-see if you’re coming to the area.

The view alone is worth visiting this place. We enjoyed a tasting and five of their different wines and then had lunch. Their food was very good and the dining room gives you one of the best views to overlook the mountains. We got the dip trip and baked Brie as appetizers. The baked Brie was delicious with the honey fig jam it's served with. Definitely my favorite. We got the Gambino pizza for lunch, which was really good as well. We enjoyed our lunch with a bottle of Plentitude.

Wolf Mountain Vineyard offers a charming and tastefully curated brunch experience well worth the advanced reservation. Nestled within breathtaking scenery, the vineyard provides a tranquil escape with picturesque views that are as palatable as the fine cuisine on offer. Despite its limited parking, which may require a short walk, the restaurant setting more than compensates, welcoming guests to a serene backdrop of vineyard rows and gentle mountainsides.
On a recent visit for the 2:30 seating, my anticipation was met with a minor wait before being seated at a prime table flaunting the best of the vineyard's natural beauty. The buffet menu didn't disappoint either, presenting an array of savory and sweet choices. From the rich, flavorful mushroom soup to the succulent roasted chicken legs and perfectly seasoned root vegetables, each dish was carefully prepared. The inventive salmon croquette Benedict and the indulgent French toast with mascarpone and poached pears were particularly noteworthy.
Adding to the culinary journey, a seafood pasta offered a taste of the ocean, while the carving turkey station satisfied traditional cravings. The salad with quinoa and beets provided a refreshing and nutritious interlude, balancing the hearty offerings. The dessert station was a study in temptation, featuring bite-sized delights such as key lime pie and chocolate-covered strawberries that concluded the meal on a high note.
While overall the experience is delightful, a shuttle service for easier access to the restaurant would be an excellent addition, catering to those who might find the walk challenging. This thoughtful touch would ensure that all guests have an opportunity to enjoy what is undeniably a stellar dining experience amidst the splendor of Wolf Mountain Vineyard.

The vineyard was surprisingly a fun mountaintop getaway. First most the wine was good, Howling Wolf Red was one of our favorites during a tasting, which was $50 for two (5 pours each). Good food too! The mixed green salad with salmon and the Gambino Pizza was excellent. Desert trio was good, not great. Service throughout was excellent, everyone working there made our trip feel special. Walking the vine yard should be done in the morning as it was pretty hot in June in the afternoon. Great find, would visit again!

I purchased a white wine but was given a red and didn’t notice until I was too far to make a trip back. Other than that, the views are spectacular. The wines and food together make a great combination to the view and atmosphere. If you’re in the area, it’s a definite place you’ll want to stop and experience. Just make sure, BEFORE you leave, the staff has given you the bottle you actually ordered.
….
OK, the manager was extremely personable and made sure he made everything right for us. We’ll end up with what we originally wanted which is excellent and are grateful we reached out to him and gave them the chance to correct the situation. Thank you for making things right.

We had a wonderful time. Great wines, amazing views, and friendly, helpful staff. We arrived at 410pm and did a tasting while enjoying the views on the outside patio. Must check out the inside. The owners guitar collection inside the entry by the bathrooms is amazing.
State park with a waterfall, hiking trails & a variety of lodging, from campsites to modern cabins.
Beautiful falls with beautiful views around. Hiking is fun here and there are steps that you can take to go top of the falls. My 2year old kid did climbed easily 425 steps. There is plenty of space for picnic and spent valuable time there. All aside weather was just right. Overall it was a fabulous experience.

600 stairs total if you want to hike from the bottom to the top. You can drive up to the top or middle and hike over a short distance but will still need to navigate some stairs. There are several benches to stop and catch your breath on the way up. The steep incline hike at before you get to the stairs is strenuous but paved. You cannot get in the water/fall anywhere (signs are posted to stay on trail) except at the base/bottom where you first come in and can park and take a short walk over also with a few stairs. It was extremely crowded especially at the bridge at the midway point and the top. Went on a weekend in June and early morning. Got busier as the day went on. The hotel at the top has a stunning view but is an additional hike to get to. The gift shop is nice. The restaurant was closed at 11am while there. There are restrooms at the base and the top, that is it. The stairs are also clear metal so you can see down the entire way.

Our visit was a very nice experience. There are several ways to view the falls, which allows one to appreciate the beauty of the waterfalls. You can view by looking down from the top of the falls (and can also drive to the top and park if unable to walk the distance). Or, you can walk or drive to the mid-point section of the water fall where parking is available. There is a nice bridge here that spans the width of the falls from where you can view and take nice photos. You can look up as well as look down to view. There is also the option of a more strenuous trail where you can start at the bottom of the falls and walk the trail and climb the stairs all the way to the top. The distance from the base of the falls to the top overlook is only one mile. There are benches along the trail for those who may need to stop to rest. Be sure to bring water and bug spray! The only con was the limited parking to access the trails. Visiting during the week is best. I highly recommend visiting the Amicalola Falls for ALL ages.

Absolutely gorgeous and The pictures do no justice! We walked the 604 steps to the top of the water fall and it was worth every step! Gorgeous scenery in every direction and as far as the eye can see. If you're unable to climb the stairs to the top, you have the option to drive up and walk over to enjoy the views at the top of the waterfall. Headed to the zip lining adventures afterwards and it was just as phenomenal! I'd definitely return and experience it all again.
If you're unable to climb the stairs to the top, you have the option to drive and enjoy the views of the top of the waterfall too.

Second time to visit the state park. Absolutely beautiful and stunning views. Stayed in the cabins in the park and it was great. The drive to the top of the mountain to the hotel was very easy and well worth the time. The walk to the bottom of the falls is a minimal stress Walk on a very well defined path. Beautiful views everywhere you look.

Beautiful state park and incredibly well thought out. It's very handicap accessible. I loved that they had trails made for wheelchairs and walkers so you could go see the falls as well. It was a very easy hike in to the falls from the handicap parking lot. Not even 10 minutes. The staff was delightful and so very helpful right from the time you come through the gate. Definitely recommend for family fun and for getting immersed in nature.

Absolutely breath taking. We chose to start the trail at the top and use the 425 steps one way down to the falls. It was fun and memorable for our crew. We had 4 kiddos with us from ages 4-11 and they were all able to complete the stairs on their own. The falls are beautiful and worth the hike. We are not sure what the trail is like coming from the base of the falls. The views of the Blue Ridge mountains at the top of the falls was amazing! Definitely recommend this natural wonder of Georgia. It should be must do.

Beautiful falls. You can either hike by climbing around 400+ steps while you enjoy the view ,though it can be strenuous. Or you also drive up to the top of the falls by car and park. The view is beautiful and you can enjoy the blissful sound of water hitting the rocks.

I did not get to see the waterfall but I heard so many incredible things from other people. Absolutely worth the hiking trails Etc You will not be sorry!!
They do have a wonderful playground for children there. It seems pretty dog friendly. And it looked like they were working on some of the restrooms and doing some construction on some of the buildings.

Beautiful park with great views. The lodge/gift shop was clean and the restrooms were too. It seems better to park downhill and walk up so your trip back down is much easier. It’s great that you can drive up the mountain too. There are playgrounds and picnic areas/tables around as well. Wonderful place for a family outing. Super dog friendly! There’s lots of parking but you have to “find a spot” and definitely some tight car squeezes.

Nice state park! But very busy, crowded (last weekend in October) . People waiting to take pictures pretty much at every spot!
The walk up to the falls is very strenuous! If walking is not possible , driving up by road option is available too, but parking was full at almost all stops, so could take some time to find a spot! If would like to climb half way through, there is a west trail, which connects at 425 step point and the bridge across the falls.
Beautiful hike, but needed several stops as the hike is steep! Initial section of trail/paved path way and then 600 steps. Nice picnic area at the top. Zip lining not that great. Restrooms were a complete disaster, with rolls of toilet paper on the floor and water everywhere!

Beautiful waterfall. New welcome center. Two trails to get to the falls here. You can drive to the start of trail at the very top of the falls or start at the bottom on a rubber paved path to the falls. Start on the trail above and you will need to be prepared to go down 425 stairs, but the views are amazing. The two trails meet at the bottom of the falls where is a small bridge.

My family and I went to this place two days ago. It was a bit cold (about 40 degrees) but the weather was very nice. They have 3 parkings as well as 3 stages along the trail routes (bottom is from the Visitor Center, middle is the West Ridge Falls Access, and the top of the falls area.) Only paid $5 for parking access. I wish I had time going to this place in fall, it must be much more beautiful and colorful when the trees change their leaves color...

It was a perfect day for a hike 4/3/24! Followed by taking in the beauty of the the fall♥️The 425 steps were a challenge but we kept pushing on and it felt fantastic afterwards 👍The picnic area was nice and clean, so were the restrooms. Last stop, at the welcome center was enjoyable. Some interesting artifacts about moonshiners, the Amicalola(also the Appalachian Trail)
Hope you enjoy as much as we did!

.5 miles walk from the second parking lot before the top of the falls.

It's a perfect outdoor experience. This waterfall is so cool, it almost doesn't seem real. My videos show some of the cascades. I also show the walkway and the stairs. The last video shows a great mountain view at the top. To get to the mountain view, when you are by the bathrooms at the top you will see a trail. Walk up the trail a little ways and you will see some beautiful Blue Ridge mountain views.

Gorgeous! We did a 2.5 hike that was fantastic. We started where the playground is, next to the new visitors center (not open yet). That was the best because we had to climb down (not up) the stairs to the waterfall. If you’re looking to just see the waterfalls, make sure to park on the top to avoid the 425 steps up.

Amicalola falls is a nice scenic hike with a big climb. It is the start of the Appalachian Trail but most people seem to come to see the falls. They have a new visitor center which seems almost done. We walked from there up the trail by some small falls and the reflection pool. From there you climb about 600 stairs to the top with a nice view right before the stairs. About 1/3rd of the way up is another bridge with a great view and short walk to see a prohibition era car. From there you can hike the rest of the way up to the view at the top and a nice lodge with facilities. We took about 3 hours to hike up and eat lunch and then hike down.

I went on a beautiful fall Saturday afternoon. The park was over crowded, parking was a pain, the hike to the waterfall was steep and long. The waterfall made it all worth it.
Amicalola Falls is the best waterfall I have seen in the US (not counting Niagara). It is tall and majestic.
If you visit the park, I would recommend also going to the top of the mountain where the lodge is. The views of the surrounding mountains from there are amazing.

Beautiful park, but a couple of challenges caused the loss of a star. Very limited parking options (10 to 12 spots) in both the falls overlook and west ridge entry. There was plenty of parking at park entry. The second item of note was that there were a couple of the trails that were closed, making it impossible to hike to the base of the falls or down from the west ridge along the falls.
Regardless, it was a beautiful day to enjoy the park and you should definitely consider adding the falls to your travel plans if you're coming to the north Georgia area.

This campground it very nice. Some of the trails were closed due for repairs, but we found several to hike. The weather was quite cold and I was disappointed with how the camp wood bundles would not burn at all! Their wood was useless.
On the other hand watching a breathtaking sunset from the Lodges patio area next to the fireplace was delightful.
For a place that is located at the beginning of the AT you would think they would have a lot more camping/backpacking supplies in the camp store, but they do not so be well prepared and double.check your supplies before you leave home.
They have a zip line, hatchet throwing, and archery to keep you entertained as there is not much to do after the waterfall hikes are completed.
The campsites themselves are very nice and I love that ours had a boxed in feeling where the picnic table and fireplace is located (unfortunately we couldn't use it since it was so cold and the wood wouldn't burn)

Amicalola Falls State Park is always one of my favorite hiking destinations when I’m in North Georgia. It’s breathtakingly beautiful with views all around. The trip up the stairs to the falls might be the more difficult path, but be sure to watch out for the lady beetles on your hike down; they bite!
The parking lots are always packed, so be prepared to hunt for a spot. The Top of the Falls lot does sometimes have more spots, but you will be asking your vehicle to go up a steep incline to go up there and a deep downgrade coming back. Not every car can do it. I’m still surprised mine did!
Seriously, though, Amicalola Falls is some of the most beautiful area in North Georgia. It’s well worth the drive and a visit!

Ok, no biggie, let’s head down to the middle going down 425 steps. When we got to the middle of the Falls, there was parking. 😂.

I’m not actually religious, but it was a pretty godly experience. All the hard work, love and detail that went into making these large scale miniatures is incredible and out of all my statewide adventures, this has to be the one that stands out the most.
I recommend checking to see if the church is having any events beforehand, as to not interrupt or miss out on the experience of the garden, and to go when the plants are still green. The second part is just a personal preference but I think it adds more depth.

It’s like a fairy garden in a Sandcastle, all mixed into one. It would be a great place to take children but we are in our 50s and we were truly in awe of all that we saw. I can’t wait to go back again and take my granddaughters.

There is a good vibe at this place. Its an interesting, creative endeavor set between a large grassy field and little creek. Lots of large trees and benches provide plenty of opportunity to rest and enjoy nature and some recreations of castles, churches and stadiums.

Beautiful, peaceful and very unique place! Rock Garden is all these amazing creations made with tiny rocks, pebbles, shells and such recreating Bethlehem, Jerusalem, castles, Rapunzel's tower, Notre Dame, and the Coliseum just to name a few! Enjoy these pics. Free to public.

Lovely place for a picnic. The garden is beautiful. It's a wonderful place to let your imagination soar. I nice walking trail with bridge over the creek. Watch out for copper heads, we saw one sun bathing. Bathroom is only a dirty portapoptty. Not super wheelchair friendly, the trail not at all.

Superb rock garden miniatures of buildings like Notre Dame Cathedral full of faith, hope and love. It made me smile as we strolled through under a sweltering hot Georgia sun. Don’t worry a lot of it is shaded. See the little town of Bethlehem. Free to the public with picnic area and swings!

This is an absolute must see for children!
****Admission is free*****
This is a contemplative prayer garden to enjoy the beauty the *Creator* made. Please respect it and do NOT let your children climb all over the "castles".
Beautiful craftsmanship here in the tiny cathedrals, villages and buildings. It's something to behold. It's amazing to me that someone would put so much love and time into tiny little villages for people to enjoy.
There are a few picnic tables as well to admire the beauty surrounding you. It is located behind the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Calhoun. You simply circle behind the church to the gravel lot. It is located beside a stream so please pay special attention to your littles!
If memory serves correctly it isn't open on Saturday out of respect of their worship day.
Please be kind and respectful of the land and put trash in cans, leave it as pretty as you found it.
My grandchildren were absolutely awestruck.
I was reminded as I watched my babies how grateful I am to live in a world of such beauty. It was deeply touching to me to see such an act of selflessness on display for everyone. I thoroughly enjoyed this visit and plan to return many times with babies and without, there is such a feeling of peace here. It is truly amazing.

Fantastic! This will take you about an hour at least to walk, but you could spend more! Right behind a church this is a garden of prayer also has some water features so maybe muddy. We totally think we saw one of the original builders there walking around!

A fun place to stroll and enjoy the day! Nice creations from what must be patient craftspeople. The gardens have been expanded since our last visit several years ago and it looks like more is in the works. Very peaceful along the river.

This was so fascinating. The talent it took to create and recreate these monuments is unbelievable. I will say the grounds needed a little TLC but I still loved each creation. My favorite was the Roman Coliseum. The detail was phenomenal.

Such a lovely place!
A great free place to visit. The detail and effort that has been put into the numerous creations is amazing. We walked the circular trail which was lovely - it is quite hilly and longer than we expected so consider this before going. We found a stream for paddling so worth taking bathers.

Beautiful labor of love from the Seventh Day Adventists who share this great place free to visitors. It was an awesome destination to get out of the house and out of the ordinary day to day. All of it was great, especially Notre Dame as the centerpiece.

Definitely a hidden gem behind the church. Kid and dog friendly. A little peaceful and imaginative place to walk, have a picnic and go on a 1 mile hike with a creek. They even have Porta johns for a restroom 🚻 if needed.

I found out about the Rock Garden at Calhoun from internet . I wasn’t sure what to expect, it looked very interesting to me and unique and we decided to check it out on the way to Florida. It was definitely worth to stop by, the only thing I wasn’t exasperated was the rainy day. I will be back on sunny day hopefully in future and I would like to see it in summer with all flowers, the garden and green trees. Definitely I would recommend to take a time walk around, it’s beautifully done .

Great stop. About 10 parking sites at the entrance but if full, plenty of parking, especially if you are towing an RV on the backside of the church. We stopped on a weekday so the church parking lot was empty, not sure how full it would be on a Sunday.
“This unique place was originally planned to be a prayer garden. The Biblical texts on stones and walkways emphasize God’s love and promises. He is the inspiration and creator of everything beautiful.
Development began in 2007 by Dewitt Boyd “Old Dog”, who was later joined in his efforts by his wife, Joyce. The garden became an iconic and imaginative place of castles and medieval villages, flowers and plantings. It is indeed a place of art and wonder. It was later renamed The ROCK Garden because our ROCK is Christ Jesus, (1 Corinthians 10:4)”
There is also a one-mile walking trail over the hill on the other side of the creek. Enter at left bridge. Tennis shoes are recommended for best traction.

This place should be widely known. It's absolutely incredible!! Pictures don't do it justice. It's a peaceful place, not for loud groups I'd prefer if I was there with you.
MAKE SURE TO LOOK IN ALL THE TINY WINDOWS!! We looked in a couple at the end of the trail, and plan to go back on a warmer day to look in all of them.
So freaking cool!! Incredible art that anyone can enjoy.
I did take my 90lb service dog and she did ok. The paths are a bit small in some spots for a wide load of the three of us. However, a well behaved dog, assuming you bring your own poop bags, would be fine here too.
Please check it out. It's truly moving and deserves way more attention that it gets. IT'S FREE!!!

We live about 47 miles away from this unique store, but we make it our “to-go” place once a month. We love the country roads and the changing colours during the autumn season, a gallon of apple cider is always our must take home when we stop at Panorama Orchads. They have a variety of treats for everyone including T-shirts, local honey, doughnuts, fresh apples, gift baskets for mom and/or anyone who enjoys jams!
The staff are very friendly, your children will get fascinated with the toy train going around whistling (this is during fall).
Don’t be afraid to explore the store but always proceed with precaution if you want to climb the steps to watch how they bake. And if you’re an ice cream person even in the cold weather, you must try their home made peach ice cream (or any other flavor available). Enjoy the Panoramic views!

Definitely a must go if your ever in this area. This country store has their own bakery, they sell fried apple pies “which is a favorite of the locals. “See pictures” I must say they are simply amazing “and this is coming from someone who doesn’t like apple’s much” they also have a lot of varieties of apple cider, a cool candy area, lots of apples and pumpkins “as it is the season right now” whiskey barbecue sauces, all kinds of jams “ blueberry, blackberry, peach, apple, etc. etc.” and unique salsas. They have a sit down area with small tables to sit and enjoy your fried apple pie and hot chocolate etc.
I must say I really enjoyed visiting the store.

Great place for healthy living and amazing taste! The lack of 5 stars is because of the large amount of empty shelves and bins. I'm not sure If it was simply the time of day or season that I went but it seemed very empty compared to its capacity capability as well as others.
The leaches were delicious although a little more expensive than expected.
The staff was great and very helpful. They gave us a sample of the peaches to try without asking because we were not sure if the selection would be soft enough for what we were after. The point being, this was above and beyond what was required and it closed the deal for us to purchase with confidence. Thanks and enjoy!

Call to check schedule . We almost drove out on a weekday that they are closed on. Anyway, we arrived and immediately was happy to see many friendly animals welcoming us! A few ducks and a donkey:) Went into the barn and was really excited to see the variety of animals! The owner was busy cutting food so we could all feed the animals She was super friendly and was working hard to keep everyone happy. We made our way to all the animals inside and out and fell in love with all them. She had a dog with a noticeable disability but you would never know it because he was so happy and in a loving place ! I have the utmost respect for all they do here for these animals . It was amazing if you love ( as we do) animals you MUST go.

What an awesome place that offers a unique experience. We visited Build an Ark while staying at the Coosawattee River Resort during our annual family vacation. We were visiting the lake and mountains for our annual vacation and came across this place in things to do in nearby towns. Well worth the drive for us. We made a donation and were given a good sized bucket of food to feed to the animals. Some were freely roaming the farm.I especially loved the piggy. Everyone made a great memory that afternoon. Please read the history and building of the Ark if you visit.

This small family owned and operated business is a gem! Despite Shari being super busy, she took the time to give her warmest welcome and kind attention to each and everyone who entered the tasting room. We very much enjoyed the Seyval and RoDog at the beautiful terrace overlooking the vineyard. LOVE this place. My first time visiting Odom’s was about a week ago, and I can say.. I will be back. The wine is absolutely amazing. I’ve also like sweet wines, but they have gotten me to like dry wines as well (especially RoDawg)! The staff were the friendliest people I’ve met at a winery and they know how to make sure you’re having a great time at their vineyards. Very generous with their pours, and I LOVE that (a lot of other places are very strict with their pours, but they pour with love). I would recommend coming here for anyone! Blue Ridge Scenic Railway is a heritage railroad company that offers a 4-hour, 26-mile round-trip ride as well as themed trips. They have both open-air and closed cars for passengers to choose from. Along the hour-long route up and during the two-hour pit stop on the state line, passengers can enjoy scenic views. The train also offers snacks such as candies, popcorn, hot tea, and hot chocolate in one of its cars.
Ages 6mo-61yo & we all enjoyed ourselves. We rode in an open air car but there are closed ones as well. We enjoyed to views along the 1hr route up & the 2 hr pit stop on the state line, as well as the 1hr ride back. Would've been a little nice to have longer than 2hrs. How fun to take pics of yourself in 2 states at one time! The guys walked the train cars to see them all. Mom visited to snack stand in one of the cars for candies, popcorn, hot tea, & hot chocolate. The guys also stopped by the souvenir stand in one of the cars. We also enjoyed to 2 guitarist who walked car to car singing & playing songs. We recommend & we will do again!

Our mother/daughter trip to Cherry Log, GA was enhanced by our trip on the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway. We booked on-line about six weeks out. We took advantage of the military discount and booked the Premier car. It was well worth the extra cost. We each received a free souvenir commemorative canvas tote and pin to wear or put on the tote. A local cafe provided box lunches of ham/turkey/cheese sandwiches, chips and a pickle. Unlimited selection of beverages (non-alcoholic). The staff were knowledgeable and friendly. The views were wonderful as well. I highly recommend this trip for all ages. You cruise along at 16 mph allowing ample time to snap photos or just drink in the scenery. Each car has its own history which is listed on a plaque in each car. You are free to walk through the whole train during the ride. There wad a couple who came and sang some bluegrass/country songs too. Both towns were filled with quaint shops and great restaurants and eateries.

I did enjoy the train ride. The employees were amazing…the concession stand on board was amazing. Fun experience riding an old time train….the ONLY reason I gave 4 stars was because the website said the views were great etc etc but there weren’t many views other than the Toccoa River. No Mountain views just wooded areas, we did see some deer and pretty cabins. We did he two hour ride.
Amber Hearman — Google review
My wife and I took this train ride (the four hour version) on a Monday morning at 11:00 AM. Ticket seller indicated the train was pretty much full and it looked like it. We opted to buy the Premier tickets which for two seniors ran $203 with taxes. This meant we got seats which were upholstered and reclined. We also got a swag bag which included a souvenir pen and some brochures. Included in the price was a small meal on the way up and non alcoholic drinks and a brownie and cookie on the way back. The meal consisted of half a sandwich and a fruit cup both of which were good. We also got a group picture and souvenir pin free on the way back to Blue Ridge. The hostess was helpful and pleasant.
The views going and coming were unremarkable at this time of year. The most interesting things to see were all the million dollar homes on both sides of the river and the two views of wild turkeys. I'm sure fall colors would be better. If you've never taken a train ride this short run would be interesting...otherwise nothing impressive.
I would recommend the open cars in good weather or the medium priced inside cars for better values. All said we did have a good time and felt the effort was worth it for the time we had together.

If you’re lucky enough to have comfortable weather, I recommend the open air. The views were nice and the town we stopped in was small but definitely had its charm. The concession stand was actually cheaper than I’d expect. They could be the type to charge movie theater prices but I appreciate that they aren’t, Shirts were only 20 etc. Would go again for the specialty rides as well.

First trip to Blue Ridge, and this train excursion was a highlight, for sure! Our car’s narrator and host, Eleanor, is awesome! She deserves a raise! She pointed out interesting things to see along the way, and we enjoyed the snacks on board also! We booked the premiere car because we weren’t traveling with kids and were looking for a more peaceful experience to enjoy the autumn leaves and beautiful weather. Thank you for offering this option! It was a great time, and we really enjoyed exploring the towns on the GA/TN border on our stop. Would highly recommend this train trip for anyone looking to enjoy this gorgeous area on your vacation.

We purchased the premier coach tickets for a four-hour spring tour. A relaxing train ride with scenic views with some extra perks. The sandwich was surprisingly yummy and very fresh, but the return dessert was the best – a butter cake bar that was to die for. Spent two hours on the border between two towns with enough shopping, eating and drinking. My only concern was the cleanliness of the train and seating was very old and worn. Our car’s host was Eleanor, she was awesome and very friendly.

We had the best ride. Our guide had the best "Dad" jokes ever. My family loved it all. They have bathrooms and a little store on board so it's a toddler friendly experience. My only suggestion is to shop or eat on the four hour ride as time for both is not possible.

Finally decided to go and book this year. I've heard pretty good things.
We took the 2 hour trip. Recommend getting there at least one hour before to find parking. If you are planning on having lunch maybe do 3 hours.
The boarding process is super easy and fast. We got the open cart (I want to say it was 2795?) Our guide was awesome, I think he said it's his first year maybe. He did really great. 1000% go for the open cart, the breeze was great and we found it pretty relaxing. It really doesn't matter what side you pick because you rotate sides when you get to Tennessee.
I would definitely recommend the 2 hour trip unless you have no way way to drive the 15 minute up to the border. But mostly because in the afternoon we found the sun hitting the leaves just right. It made them pop more and it was just very nice. Decently bring sunglasses tho some parts where very sunny.

We took the Scenic Fall train ride on October 28th of last year for a glimpse of the changing leaves. The train offers two sides to sit on, mountain side or river side. Something I liked about this train ride was regardless of what side you started on, the ride back, you would get the other side.
We started off on the mountain side. I don’t know if I’ve seen too many Harry Potter movies but when they said mountain side, I was under the impression that we would catch a glimpse of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Wrong. The mountain side is LITERALLY up front and personal with the side of the mountain. It is unremarkable, it is boring, and it offers no real view at all. You’re just staring at dirt the whole time.
The riverside was very pretty. You could see the changing leaves over the river along with beautiful homes alongside it.
The train itself is nice enough, with a small range of snacks and drinks to choose from. Our tour guide was an older man who really enjoyed his job, but he wasn’t exactly friendly with the guests.
All in all, it was an experience to say the least. Was the train ride amazing and worth the ticket prices? Not really. But the town itself is cool, we chose the longer stop time, and we felt we had just enough time to see everything we wanted before embarking on the train once more.

***Updating to 5 stars because I was informed the railway is completely separate from the rail bikes but leaving my review of the rail bikes.
***Update- After some back and forth with Judy, a different person contacted me and offered me a FULL refund and a gas card to cover my expenses. So, I only lost time. They also offered to cover our ride if we come back. I'm not sure if we will or not (I'm still bitter about how we were initially treated). I'll update if we do.
Freedom Rail Bikes called less than 3hrs before our ride time & said we needed to be 40 minutes early. I explained that we were 2hrs away and had planned to be there 15min early, as the website indicated when we booked several days ago. She took note of my name & said that would be fine. We got there at the time we said we would & were told we wouldn’t be able to to ride a rail bike because we were the last ones to sign in & one was broken. She said to fill out the waiver anyway & we could ride if someone didn’t show. As we were filling out our waiver, another group showed up that hadn’t signed in yet. Yay! I thought we would for sure be able to ride. Instead, she let them on the rail bikes ahead of us & told us we could either take a full refund and ride nothing or ride on the speeder, a motorized cart that pulls the bikes for half of a refund. We had driven 2hrs just for the rail bikes. I asked if they had a 4pm slot we could do instead. She said no, that they had cancelled that one due to the owners being in town. I let her know I wasn’t happy with it & we reluctantly got in the speeder. Once we were on, we were then told I’d be going backwards the whole trip. What was suppose to be a peaceful ride through nature and the highlight of my daughter’s spring break, turned into a noisy exhaust filled ride pulling the other bikers. She should’ve given us a FULL refund and offered a free ride another time to make up for the experience. She knew I was driving two hours and didn’t bother to even call. She didn’t ask if there were any locals that might be willing to come back the next day. It was ride the loud stinky speeder, which broke down halfway through requiring us to wait for someone to repair it, or ride nothing. I suggest anyone that isn’t local not to travel there for the experience. We were informed that their carts jump track often, which is what broke the one that was down that day. The owner was there and didn’t offer to make it right either.

The train ride was well worth it. We stopped for 2 hours in MaCaysville, GA and Coopethill, TN, for eating and shopping. We bought Chow Chow, Salsa, Salad dressing and we ate a Cuban Restaurant. We had great ride to and from BlueRidge, GA. Our conductor “Magic Mike” was awesome, kept us entertained during the entire ride. He gave us a lot of history of the scenery surrounding us and he told jokes to keep us laughing 😆. There were 528 people that took the train. We truly enjoyed ourselves. But we would’ve love if the layover in two cities could be longer then 2 hours, because by time you visit a few of the shops and get a bite to eat. It’s time board the train. “I must say time flies when you’re having fun”. Thanks again to everyone that contributed to making the train ride a great adventure.

We chose the open car and the weather was perfect for it. The scenery is beautiful and the layover in the town was fun. One of my favorite parts of the ride was our car host, Jeff. He told us interesting facts on the way some great "dad jokes". He was so funny.

We booked tickets on the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway. It was about what you would expect with views of the mountains on one side and the river on the other. As a tip if you look up the views are labeled (at least in our car). The train does not turn around and goes forward one way and reverse the other so the views from each side are the same both ways. Each car seems to have a guide (ours was Jeff) adding some commentary and helping out. The train goes about 15mph so it was about an hour each way to the town. Good views from either side and fun train ambience. It stopped for 2 hours in town for a short layover.

We really enjoyed taking the train from Blue Ridge to McCaysville. We purchased tickets in one of the open cars. Was nice to have fresh air and a slight breeze on a beautiful day. The layover in GA/TN gave us a chance to stretch our legs, get a bite to eat and visit shops. Highly recommend riding the train!

I went on NYE '23 and it was a lovely experience... It would be nice if the ticket office had more attendants handing out the prepaid passes especially when there are large crowds. But the ride was punctual, the staff are generous and professional. I would recommend.

This is a nice train ride taking off from Blue Ridge, Georgia it’s a mellow chill activity to do with family. The train offers a cart which sells beverages and things to munch on. I went on the 1 hour ride during the holidays and to our surprise we had a cameo from the Grinch, Cindy Lou, Mr and Mrs Clause! My daughter loved it! Recommended for sure

Excellent train ride 15 miles an hour down the Toccoa river. Beautiful views, fun, commentary, and history with the stop in Copper Hill Tennessee with mini shopping places. My plan is to do this every year with my family from now on. Definitely worth the drive and a good way to bring in the Christmas season. The open air cars actually have covering on the windows which make it enjoyable even on a cold day. A highly recommended experience for kids of all ages and adults. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🇺🇸👏🏾🐺🎄🤶🏼💯

This was a very cool trip. We road inside the covered cars but they have open cars too. It seems to stay busy so get your tickets early. There are some amazing houses up the river.

The view on the river side was good, the mountain region was not that scenic. The ride was not worth the hype.. you have to book way in advance for a 4hr journey. When you drive you get more splendid views. For a first timer in a train you may enjoy it. They have a souvenir store and mini snacks bar inside. Everything is extra charges, not included with the ticket. They also take a picture which is 20$

We had such a great time. Mary Ann was very informative and so sweet. It was a little cold so make sure to layer up if going during fall/winter. Once you get to the town there is an indoor mall type retail place across the river. I will say the restaurants fill up fast so if you're hungry stop there first.
Sprawling park with camping & hiking trails, plus an old fort, lake with a beach & horseback riding.
We visited Fort Mountain State Park recently and we had a wonderful time. Since we have visited all 56 Tennessee State Parks we thought we would visit Georgia State Parks. We are glad we went here. We enjoyed seeing the 4 story look out tower. It was a hike to it but not to hard. There is a lot of history here and several plaques are placed so we could read them. From the tower we hiked to the over look. Wow. This has amazing views here. We also drove around the park and we saw a nice lake and campground. There is another trail that goes to a waterfall which is nice. Overall great experience. Can't wait to go back.

We enjoyed an afternoon at Fort Mountain State Park by just taking a few short walks in the forest looking at the view and see wild flowers. There is a nice welcome center with clean restrooms. Plenty of camping spots for tents and they have cabin rentals. It is open year round.

Really nice State Park. The trails are well maintained but they are not for someone that has leg or hip issues. The trail at the lake is the only flat trail in the park and is a really nice easy walk. These pictures are from the start of the Gahuti trail and a shot of the trail itself. Picture doesn't do it justice on how quickly it descends down the mountain. This is supposedly a mountain bike trail. Good luck with that.

Lots of hiking trail options with markers, signs, and information boards along the way. Great lookout areas and spots to see amazing wild flowers. There is a stone wall and fire watchtower on the trail me and my babe choose to hike. They have several spots to have a nice picnic or even a quick snack and water break. There are camping sites and I believe possible cabins here as well. Being honest other then knowing they are there, I've got no other information about camping or cabins. I definitely recommend this place for hiking and views though.

We went on a quiet Friday afternoon and the trails were nicely sparse. Cool springs overlook is a paved less than 5 minute stroll to a beautiful overlook looking at the east side of the Chattahoochee national Forest. We hopped back in our vehicle and made a short quick drive up further and went up to the West overlook where the Stone Tower trail also is. The trails are yellow blazer and after you walk about 15 minutes you will come to a Y. Taking the left to the West overlook. It's beautiful. Altogether it's a easy/moderate 25 minutes to the West overlook, but I would not want to be on the trail when it's wet as it's somewhat rocky and rooty There's an impressive series of stairs and deck cantilevered over the lookout. Overall very nice trails.

What a nice place to bring the kids to swim and have some fun. Bring a lunch and some drinks. You can just chill out on the beach or do some boating very relaxing! They have bathrooms and a snack bar. They are remodeling a building there. I'm not sure what it was, but it's big. Enjoy

We had a good time exploring just a small part of this park. We hiked to an overlook, the tower, and the stone wall. Our trail wasn't too long, moderately challenging, and well marked. The park is pretty well maintained. There were other hikes near a lake it looks like as well as much longer hikes, bike, and horse trails. Wish we had time for more.
Paul and Lillian Bruns — Google review
What a peaceful and beautiful place!! This whole campground is nice as a while but compared to other state campgrounds this one doesn't get much attention. The roads throughout are in need of some repairs!
Only one washer and dryer for the whole place, if you're staying lakeside you have to go to the other campground. The yellow papers hanging have been there for 3-4 days and still all the old campers are hanging there. There are electric panel covers hanging with 1 hinge and going to get rain in them. Not one sighting of any of the hosts.
The older couple that cleans the bathrooms do a fantastic job and the bathhouses are super clean.
The Putt Putt ( which needs some attention), paddle boat rental and concession at the lake is only open from Thursday -Sunday which is a bummer.
The staff in the front office are very polite and helpful.
One huge negative is the lack of wifi or cell service of any kind, which some campers may prefer.
The playground for the kids is very nice with plenty of swings and slides, the rock wall is a nice touch!
We will definitely come back.

I would like to start off by saying that we love Fort Mountain. We both grew up in the north Georgia mountains and every time we go home we generally will stay at one of the cabins. This time when we went the cabins had been renovated and they were awesome, however we did not get there until 4:30 PM and the office closes at 5:00 PM. We got checked in and went to the cabin, we stayed in cabin 3. The place looked great. However it soon turned into something else. We had booked the cabin for 3 nights, as we were bring our food and items into the cabin, I noticed these blue pellets on the floor in the kitchen in front of the fridge and the cabinets. Then when I looked in the trash I saw that it had not been emptied out and there was roach trap boxes in there, plus other trash. We determined that the pellets was rat poison. When we were getting ready for bed I turned on the water to brush my teeth and it was brown, not like a little iron brown either. This reminded me of the water in south Georgia in the Okefenoke Swamp! We used our bottled water to brush our teeth. The next morning we went to the visitor center to check out as we were not going to stay in a place that had rat poison scattered in the kitchen floor, roach traps and brown water. The last time we stayed in he cabins everything was fine. The park manager tried to tell us that the water had iron in it. We have iron in our water too, but not swamp water. We won't be staying there again.

Fort Mountain State Park is a beautiful park and may have been the nicest campsite we have had in a state park. The site was nicely laid out and very level. The comfort station was clean and the camp hosts were great. The staff at the Visitor Center were cordial and very helpful. The trails were great even when challenging for some of my more tired joints. We loved sitting by our fire and hiking the trails. I can't way enough about this amazing park.
Bill Bowers — Google review
Very beautiful, peaceful and family friendly environment. No good signal just several spots in the campground and overlook right outside the park. Big rig that is over 40’ will need more experience to locate as the roads between sites are narrow and up and down, we stayed at site #66 that is not very easy in but very easy out. Over all we very much enjoyed our 5 day staying here.

Good park. Stayed in campground. Sites nice and shaded. Level. Hiking good. Beach area is a little crowded on the weekend. Restroom in the campground clean.

Fort Mountain is our ‘go to’ camping spot. We have frequented the park many times over the last few years and have enjoyed all seasons of camping there. The bath houses are clean and well maintained, the campsites are mostly shaded and private. We love the lake loop and beach. The cabins are amazing for families with grandparents who don’t like to camp. We also love seeing the bears!

This park had amazing views. Loved the plaques of information. While Hiking up. Great time spent with my family. Being a slow time of year there was no ranger at the entrance. There were parking passes and a drop box to pay using the honor system. Both at the gate and restrooms.

Love this place and highly recommend for anyone visiting Ellijay, GA. Winding road up is winding in some places offering great photo ops, especially in the fall, peak being late October into November. Park with lake is very picturesque. Can rent paddle boats to go around lake. Can rent cabins or bring RV camper to camp grounds, children's playground, picnic area, and pet friendly.

This is one of the best mountains in Georgia, a nice relaxing hike around a mile in length at the top of the mountain.
With day use area, camping, and a lake at the bottom.

Beautiful scenic point, hike was not bad as well. Air get thinner on the top, hiking boats are must.
Definitely recommend.
S Farooq — Google review
It is a big park and the sites are so well placed that you dont feel crowded at all. Of course that is easy for me to say because it was sort of cole and wet so there were not many campers around. The hiking was good. We did 3 trails, one of which was the waterfall trail and another up to the tower.

Mercier Orchards is a picturesque, 300-acre fruit orchard that was founded in 1943. They offer pick-your-own seasonal fruits and have a variety of products available at their shop, including their own cidery with seasonal wines and slushies. Their website features a schedule of currently available produce so visitors can plan accordingly. The facility is well-maintained and has clean restrooms with an attendant on duty to ensure cleanliness.
I heard it was strawberry season and couldn’t pass up the opportunity for some fresh ones so me made the venture out there. It was more than worth it! The orchard is absolutely stunning and the shop has everything you could expect. They have their own cidery and make a variety of seasonal wines (and slushies). Their website even has a schedule of what’s currently in season so you can coordinate your visit to your preference.

First visit, I’ve heard a lot of good things about Mercier Orchards. Beautiful location! It was not as crowded as I had expected. Lots of goodies inside! We tried a few different apples, we really loved the Crunch a Bunch variety. The coffee crusted pecans were a nice treat as well.

What a great place to stop by for the weekend getaway from the city. They offers fresh fruits and vegetables, variety of apples, peaches, nectarines. The bake goods are to die for. Our favorites are apple fritter and donuts. Also the refreshment; such as lemon slushy and apple slushy are a must have. If you into alcohol, they have whole bar dedicated for you on the side. Outside we had the pop up stand of kettles corn and boiled peanuts. Fantastic experience, with staff being so nice and friendly. Bathrooms were clean. Parking was plenty.

Awesome and very unique place to visit. Biggest orchard retail store I have ever seen. There's plenty of parking alongside a pond, which they thoughtfully enclosed with a nice walkway. They have every kind of jam and jelly you can imagine! A bakery in the rear with homemade breads and pies. A winery. My favorite is their apple butter. If you are in Blue Ridge you need to stop in here! Don't miss it!!

This is a must do if you're in the Blue Ridge area. It's like a farm store with a restaurant and tons of shopping. The restaurant offers a great breakfast on the weekends. Amazing biscuits, fresh fruit, preserves, apple butter, eggs, sausages, french toast, waffles, chicken biscuits, grits, and coffee and tea.
The store carries fresh fruit, preserves, apple butter, some no sugar added options, syrup, honey, stuffed animals, muffin mixes, donuts, and more. There's a bakery in the back. The employees were really nice. I'm sure this would be an awesome stop in the fall when apples are in season! The grounds are also really pretty. There's a pond you can walk around and benches to rest on.

This place was absolutely beautiful! Unfortunately, we visited during the winter so we couldn't pick any apples or do the hay ride. We visited the market and had a good time trying the samples and visiting the bakery. We then went to the lake and were able to some nice pictures. If you're in or around Blue Ridge, this place is a definite must.

As a lover for Wine && Cider, this is a must to visit! They have Cider & Wine tasting! Make their own, as well as sell other wines. My favorite was their Blackberry Wine and I don't even like blackberries. The only negative I'd say, is how small their Wine bottles are for the price. They are half the size of a normal wine bottle, which are cute, but not for the price. Would love to visit again when it's Spring and see how the fields look!

There are probably so many reviews about this place that I just don’t think I can add a lot. It was a great experience. I went there on my own thanks to a friend who recommended it as a good option for a we can plan. I went in and it was blueberry picking season which is not as fun as picking up apples but it is still very cool and you get to take what you pick the shop they have is very good and big and they have a ton of things and I didn’t stay to eat, but I tried some of the apple ciders they have, and some of them were very good, I ended up spending over $100 in products in that shop including the Seiter and some gifts for the family. I saw a lot of people with their kids which makes me think it is probably a very fun experience for the little ones as well.

I had the best time here! I always get apples when I come through north Georgia and I'll definitely be back to Mercier. The gentleman conducting the apple sampling was very helpful and gave me excellent advice about which apples are best to can. The samples were delicious and I bought a full bushel. They also have a bakery, an extensive gift shop, and of course, I took pictures by the tractor. It was a great afternoon.

Mercier Orchards is like a dream come true for fruit fans. Their fruit desserts are super tasty, with pies, free apple tasting samples, desserts and preserves that are chock-full of natural fruity goodness.
The best part? You get to enjoy all this deliciousness in a cozy, welcoming place surrounded by beautiful fruit trees. It's a fantastic spot to enjoy yummy treats, pick your own fruits and soak up the great outdoors. If you love food and nature, you've got to check it out!

If you’re ever in Blue Ridge, I highly recommend you add Mercier Orchards to your “must see” list! The bakery items are fresh and delicious. My personal fav from the bakery is the apple fritter, it’s huge and they will heat it up for you if you ask! There’s a huge selection of different gifts, jerky, sweets, soups, wine 🍷, dips and so much more! There’s a bar inside that serves wine slushes and lots of other drinks. They even serve samples of all of their apples and you can buy the ones you love 😋 My favorite items were the apple wine and the Granny Smith Apple chapstick 🤩 I should’ve bought more so make sure you grab one - or five! lol

They also have the Cider Mill with tastings.

We went during PRIME TIME! A beautiful fall afternoon. Due to it being later in the season we only had the opportunity to pick one species of apples (14$ per bag) however the fields themselves were not crowded, the tractor picked us up/dropped us off, water was sold on site for 1$, and the apples were so sweet and plump! Only reason I have to bring it down a star is lack of accessibility for wheelchairs throughout the entire facility, poor traffic management and lack of communication on the strollers policy. Aside from that beautiful view and great variety for family fun.

Wow, this was awesome!! What a great time the family had, so they want you there at least 30 minutes before the trip to go over rules and gear. Once you have the gear, you go on a 15-minute bus ride to the drop-off section. Then off you go!! The staff there is excellent most people are a little nervous but once you are on the river it's beautiful. Definitely give this a shot you will really enjoy it.

We had a blast with Wildman Jack at Rolling Thunder River Company!
Earlier that day, we had booked with another company on a different river. When we got all the way up to the drop-in spot we were informed that the river didn't have enough water.
Bummer.
That's when we called Rolling Thunder and they couldn't have been more helpful. They were able to book us on one of their last runs for the day over the phone in time to save the day.
That's when a got paired with the infamous Wildman Jack. He was, simply put, amazing. His knowledge of the rivers and surrounding areas is in itself a reason to book with him. But the real fun is on the river with Wildman! Don't let the name fool you though, when one of our party members took an unexpected excursion off the raft, Wildman sprang into action and add him back on board before we knew it.
I can't say enough about how fun this is. You owe is to yourself to go to Rolling Thunder and make sure you ask for Wildman Jack!

Jackson was the guide on my raft and he was incredible! Super knowledgeable about the river, the area and rafting. He answered every question I threw at him, and I ask alotta questions. In addition to being super smart, he was super fun. He balanced giving our group a safe experience with as many challenges as we could manage and were up for. He let us feel like we could "choose our adventure" while being well cared for by an experienced, thoughtful, mindful guide who fulfilled every word he gave and didn't once steer us wrong - pun intended. So grateful for Jackson and the whole Rolling Thunder Team!!

We love attending the fall fair at Prater's Mill each year but parking could be better. I suggest working toward creating a place in the corner of the field nearest the mill to exit up onto the road. Also, as we noticed, the layout is confusing and there are better ways to organize it in the field. Otherwise, the fair is great, except there are no pork rinds!!!

During the lower grade water flow, he would have conversations with us and made us feel like we were not strangers or tourists.
There were plenty of parking spaces that were 15 - 30 feet away that gets you straight to the front of the center so don’t worry if you have to park in the “additional parking” zone, everything is conveniently close. There were detailed signs to navigate you towards different areas of the center, which was a small cozy size so you won’t be lost anyways with lots of tree shade! All employees were so kind and nice with lots of energy to help you sponge up for the rafting session. Time was smoothly ran from the moment you check in, tutorial, bus ride, rafting, and journey back. The rapids that we experienced were ranged from 1-4.
Our group had a BLAST!!! And we can’t wait to book our next tour! You guys have to try out this place, most definitely worth our time.

Fast Freddie and the staff at Ocoee Adventure Center were great!!
I had some reservations about class III and IV rapids, being our first time, but Fred was an excellent guide and completely put my concerns to rest.
Thoroughly enjoyed rafting down Middle River!
It will be something my family and I definitely do again! ☀️☀️👍👍
Thanks for the memories!! 🚣♀️🚣♀️

We had a great time and would highly recommend this outfitter. Our guide, Drew (aka Snapple), was very informative about the river & etc., interactive with our group, had us spinning when we could (which was so much fun), and most importantly, made sure we were safe the entire time. The only thing I would do differently is do the whole day, rather than the half!

This was our first time rafting. I in particular have a pretty strong fear of drowning and I have to say given the weather conditions (torrential downpour, thunder, and wind) , if it weren’t for our guide, I am sure I would have been one to want to pull off to the side and get out. Our guide, Paul S., was amazing! He was light hearted and kept things fun, yet when it was time to be serious, he gave clear instructions and made me especially feel very safe. 10/10 Recommend this establishment. They also have showers on site if you’d like to clean up right away. We went on a Monday which worked out great.

My favorite outfitter I’ve ever toured with! This river is incredible, certainly one of the best on the east coast. It’s intense and beautiful the whole way, plenty of excitement with sections of nonstop class III-IV rapids. Our guide Michael was very professional, easy going, good natured and a very talented paddler and leader. We felt safe and had a blast all day. I’ve done a half day in the lower section and a full day doing both sections. I recommend the full day of you have time, it was worth every minute.

A+++ Awesome experience. Equipment is clean & in great shape. Employees were really nice. Also this place cleans life jackets after every trip and I have never seen another place do that. We had the best Guide. Her positive attitude and knowledge of the river made our experience memorable. Don't forget to bring extra cash to tip.

Went rafting yesterday and had a great time. Our guide Cameron made the trip above and beyond what we expected. It started in the training basin before the trip where Cameron made all aboard feel at ease. As we headed out Cameron not only described each rapid ahead, but also its name and name origin. Cameron had an incredible knowledge of not only the river and history of the surrounding areas but had great stories of places he traveled for rafting and exploring. Cameron seems to truly love his job and the crew he works with and it shows with his passion for the sport, the history, and sharing that with others. The entire crew from check in to photographers along the river bank to the guides in charge of gear return were all great. Phenomenal operation from beginning to end.

My husband and I with 4 of our friends had the best time today rafting! Kevin was our guide and he was seriously the best! We had a blast on the water! Our friends locked their keys in the trunk, all of our dry stuff was in the vehicle and the whole staff went above and beyond to help us out and get the right team there to help out! We were given towels, offered dry clothes etc. I can’t say enough good things about this company, especially Kevin and his precious wife! Thank you guys so much for a great time!
We zip lined with Gracie and Winnie. They were both so awesome and made the experience amazing!
We then water rafted and got Winnie and Lily! Both were amazing and even suggested things to do/ places to eat on our stay!
We will definitely be back and hope we get these girls again!

If you’re in the area you HAVE TO take this rafting trip! Our guide Danny “trash man” was very knowledgeable and a great asset to the trip…do yourself a favor and take the “full river” excursion. Our son even said “this is awesome” when we stopped for lunch. Don’t miss the Raft1 water slide either. Dry refreshing and Raft1 made it as easy as possible to enjoy the day with the family. Put Raft1 on your vacation agenda…your family will thank you for making great memories…

We had the best day Zip lining and white water rafting. Bob and Anna were great on our zip lining tour. Dirt was an absolutely amazing river guide. We felt safe the whole time yet we had a blast. We will definitely be back!

Great place for families. There is a cafe with food and you are allowed to bring outside food in. We packed a whole ice chest of food for lunch and had no issue. All of the staff were wonderful. Alisha at the front desk was super welcoming and answered all of our questions! For zip lining we were with Logan, Emily, and Wiley. All awesome people! They were easy to talk to, very knowledgeable, and funny! We felt super comfortable with them. Noah was our guide for rafting. Super cool and easy to talk to. This guy knows the river like the back of his hand and has some great stories. We had such a great time with him- one of the best experiences of my life. Holden and Emily were the tour guides for the other half of our group and they loved them both as well! 100% recommend this place!

Our FULL day with Raft1 exceeded our expectations! We started with zip lining. Our guides were Weston and Holden. They were very witty and fun but also very safe.. though we tested their skills quite regularly! Never a dull moment with my family! Next , we had an AWESOME rafting trip!! Our guide ,Dirt, was great!! Very informative and fun!!! Kept an eye out for everyone and made sure everyone was safe!! ☺️ I HIGHLY recommend Raft1 for anyone wanting to have a good time!!! And remember…. You get what you pay for! 😜

I’ve never in my life done this ( water rafting ) and I’m 39, we did a friend trip (5) from Florida and we were nervous as none of us have experience this but I have to say that our guide HOLDEN was the man, he made the experience fun, he kept us laughing, he was very knowledgeable about the river, told us exactly what to do not to get hurt, made the experience so great. RAFTONE IS DEFINITELY A PLACE TO VISIT… thank you guys and HOLDEN thank you so much 😊 👍🏽

We had an awesome experience with Raft 1 ziplining. We were able to call the day off, on a Friday, and get in on the 2 hour zip. Price was reasonable. Gift shop was nice. Noah and Cal were top-notch guides. It takes a specific personality to help people enjoy these types of things, while still putting safety first.
There is a photo package offered at the end which was a reasonable cost and a nice touch.
Go zip!

We took an amazing zip-line tour and it was our first time for that, both in our lives and together. Our guides Gracie and Weston were amazingly patient with us and really humorous the whole tour. Thank you both for a wonderful ride!

Ziplining - our family of five (kids age 10, 12, 13) did the course. It was just us, so was like a private group with 2 really good guides (Spencer and Jamie). Course is really good, lots of long zips. You do have to slow yourself down on several by placing a gloved hand on the line, we didn’t really like this aspect and had never had to do that on other courses. But overall really good and we’d do it again.
Middle Raft trip - just my son and I did. It was AWESOME! Our guide Jace was the best. It was our first time doing this level of rapids and son was scared to fall out, we asked for a safe ride and Jace delivered. Plus they did extra special things that other outfitters didn’t, like slide rock where we got out and could jump on and slide down our overturned raft and a hole jump thing, all of the other rafts just cruised by watching us have more fun. Would highly recommend, felt safe the entire ride and we really enjoyed it. Definitely request Jace.

Jace was outstanding as our guide on our first ever rafting trip. He went out of his way to assure we had the most amazing time and it did not go unnoticed. My 13 yr old daughter practically seems soulless on a regular but she was smiling from ear to ear the entire time. He made sure we remained safe but thoroughly enjoyed the ride at the same time. He was the best guide we could've asked for!

10/10 recommend! This was the highlight of our girls trip! SHOUTOUT TO BUCKY AND SPENCER for the entertainment and excitement all while keeping us safe. We zip lined the first day and had so much fun that we returned for white water rafting the next day! As my first time experiencing these things, I definitely felt confident with Bucky and Spencer giving us directions and guiding us along the way! Would love to come back!

We cannot say enough about how spectacular this rafting company is. I have been coming here every summer with my husband James for the past 6 years, and he’s been rafting with them for the past 15 years. They never disappoint and we always have the time of our lives. We have brought various guests with us, from children to petrified adults to other adventure seekers like ourselves, and everyone always has a great time. All the guides are amazing and you can tell the company takes their time to ensure they offer the best trained guides. We have had Dirt as our trusty guide several times. I strongly recommend asking for him as your guide- you will have an amazing time! Dirt knows every inch of the Ocoee River, is highly skilled, and super friendly. He knows how to show his guests a great time. On one of the slower days, he even took us out to a neat little waterfall just off the side of the river. It was such a lovely surprise and great addition to our trip. Safety is a top concern as well. The owners, two brothers, Brent and Dusty, always greet us with a smile and remember us from years past (they are both very experienced guides as well!) Book your excursions with this outfit, you will be happy you did!

Amazing experience and we was blessed to have a great guide Spencer. Spencer was really knowledgeable about the river and compassionate toward us. He was helpful and humble, funny and make the experience extra fun. Having a great guide like Spencer make things so much better specially for my husband and I first timers doing rafting. For us was a experience that will go in our memories. We was celebrating our anniversary and husband birthday. So happy I chooses raftone.

We had a fantastic time this past weekend with Dawson on the half day Oconee river rafting trip! It was most of our group’s first time whitewater rafting, and Dawson made sure that we were safe but also had an amazing time! Everyone at Cherokee Rafting was very friendly, and we’ll definitely be back.

Despite the delay of traffic observing the Ocoee River, the adrenalin of the Family was with mixed feelings for this year's family adventure. However it was FABULOUS!!!! Ages 21-82. Our wonderful guides were Aaron & Katie. Both of them are extremely talented and knowledgeable about the River and surrounding area.
In addition the entire staff of Cherokee Rafting are amazing. The facilities were clean and the showers are Warm. What we thought would be the Last annual family Rafting adventure now has all of us considering the possibility of having Aaron & Katie taking the family on the Full Ocoee River Adventure. The Oldest that stated "Last Rafting Adventure " beforehand is now changing his decision on The Last adventure. Words can not express how much attention to details the staff takes to insure your family safety and of course MEMORIES of your amazing adventure on the Ocoee River. Cherokee Rafting and staff again THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE AND ADVENTURE.

Had a great time on the full river trip with guide Kat. There didn't seem to be much difference in reviews between rafting companies so chose this outfitter partially because of the 8:00am start time. We were done, clothes changed and leaving by 2:00pm, making it possible to get back to Memphis after finishing the trip. Be prepared to spend another $15-20/person for tip and about $55/boat ($10-$15/person) for photos. Photos are taken from the right river bank, so put the photogenic members of your crew on the right side of the boat and then have fun!

The trip: the day consisted of a training video, bus ride to launch, rafting and a bus ride back to Cherokee rafting.
The experience: Our guides made this experience a family memory we’ll never forget.
-Katie: Hands down the most knowledgeable guide I’ve ever met. Safety was her first priority. She knew every single inch of the river like the back of her hand. She provided fun facts during the trip as well as a plethora of local knowledge. Thank you Mrs. Katie!
-Laura: The gorgeous gal with the guns…Laura rode in our boat and helped my special needs son stay on task. She helped him stay on cadence with his paddling, ensured he was properly situated in the raft and demonstrated more patience and kindness than we could have hoped possible. Thank you Mrs. Laura!
-Fawn: total badass. Fawn was the guide for the boat in front of us and I watched her work her tail off keeping her crew off the rocks and safely down the river. You’re an all star Mrs. Fawn!
Thank you Cherokee Rafting for helping make a lasting family memory.

Rafted on 7-10-23 with my family. We have done rafting before in Colorado and have always enjoyed it, but this was the best time ever. The river is great because of constant action, and our guide Jon was phenomenal. We took the more adventurous line on a number of the rapids and then would go back and surf some of them. He was constant energy. We got to the last two rapids and he asked if we wanted to take the road less traveled, noting that you could get tossed from the raft. We chose that and all five of us went for a swim. It was awesome. Highly recommend. If you can get Jon, you will have the best time.

Highly recommend for rustic camping, whitewater rafting, and tubing trips.
It’s a quiet place to camp which I love. Sits right on the lower Ocoee and has great tubing trips for people with young children or who want a relaxing day. They also offer Middle and Full river trips if whitewater rafting is your style. They have trips running every day the river is on for tubing and whitewater rafting.
They have a large campground great for camping off grid, tents, or car camping. Lots of hot showers, and ample restroom facilities. Nice store for tshirts, memorabilia, and snacks.
If you prefer a cabin, they have plenty of those, and specialize in large groups.
Family friendly environment. Outfitter was taken under new ownership a little over a year ago (female owned 💕) by a prior employee. The improvements to the facilities and equipment in a year are commendable and I highly encourage visiting this outfitter.
If you go rafting request Dirty Mike 🥰

Highly recommend this outfitter! I'm sure that all of the guides are great, but our guide Brett is amazing! He really knows his stuff! Highly recommend asking for Brett when you go ... you'll be doing some fun tricks in the rapids that you may not necessarily get to do with other guides. You'll get to practice "surfing" on the downstream of some rapids, "bull ride", spins, etc. Brett is very personable and hilarious..... he really works hard to see that his guests have fun. Brett and this outfitter are very safe ... thorough safety briefings and instructions, and safe equipment in excellent condition.

I camped at OAR for 7 nights over a two week period. Their accommodations are fantastic. A quick walk to the bathroom & showers make camping a joy. They have several cabins, but I was camping. I was impressed with their Guide's knowledge and rafting skills. As a first time White water rafter, I was at ease with their captains at the helm. I did more than one trip. OAR has access to a great location just below the dam, for tubing. On my relaxing day, I tubed down with a group. I saw several groups, churches, schools and familys tubeing while I was there, everyone having a blast. I also used my paddleboard to launch at that same spot to go down river. It was fun , not too rough, and beautiful. This will always be my first stop as I leave Florida for fun

My nine-year-old daughter, and I had scheduled to float down the river in a tube, however, the weather didn’t cooperate. Even though the temperature dropped and it was raining, Tyler made our experience very enjoyable. We were able to float down the river in a raft instead of a tube, and they provided dry vests to help keep us warm and dry. Tyler was super positive the entire time and even helped keep my daughter entertained with her videography skills. Tyler has a lot of knowledge and experience on the river and I would highly recommend him for as a guide for any whitewater rafting or float down the river.

She had a great sense of humor and they all did a great job of making sure we avoided obstacles along the river. My friend raved about the experience, and I had high expectations going in. The front desk treated me like a lifelong friend, and I felt super excited about the rest of the day. We loaded on the bus and the guides squeezed in for the 30 minute ride. Instead of relaxing, they entertained, engaged, and made us feel important. To me, this was going the extra mile that sets them apart because small details matter. The river was raging, gnarly was the word we heard often, and our guide, CAVEMAN, beemed with experience and a desire to make sure we were having a blast. He didn't disappoint! There wasn't a moment I didn't enjoy and that included being thrown out on "Slice and Dice." I left feeling I have friends for life and a new returning trip for my family.

The rafting was phenomenal, in my group we had some very experienced rafters and some that it was their first time on a raft.Trey was our guide and he did a great job making sure we knew the smart way to do things and made sure everyone was comfortable with any extra excitement that the water had in store for us. Everyone had a enjoyable and super fun trip, with everyone saying that we would be back to do bigger and more intense rapids next time. 10 outta 10 I recommend this to anyone in the area. We booked online and upon our arrival I wish we had booked a camping spot as well. It’s a great location, spread out and quiet despite being close to the road.
There’s a bar and grill on the property, sand volleyball court, and the bathrooms are equipped with restrooms and separate showers.
Our guide was Connor, he was a good guide and made the experience fun and memorable. The only complaint I have if any is that we had a boat with some teenagers who were more focused on talking and screaming at every splash of water. I’m used to the guide placing the more experienced paddlers up front and back.
All in all it was a good trip and would recommend them.

By far the best experience over all. My wife and I took our 14 year old white eater rafting for their first times. Our guide was Pink. He is a whole mood. Taught our daughter how to guide the raft. Such a great spirit. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. The energy was amazing and the water was beautiful. Great people, great vibes, 10/10. We WILL be back because this staff is TOP NOTCH. Not to mention the bus driver..He drove so amazing I felt MORE comfortable driving the mountains in my own vehicle after riding with him. It was awesome. Just do it. You will not regret it. BIG thanks to all of you. ❤️

I visited for an Ocoee rafting trip and camping. I must have lucked out and gotten the best guide, because Sarah was amazing! The lines she took us down were perfect, and when we wanted to surf features, she knew how to get us onto the wave and spin around into front, side, and back surfs. She was a lot of fun, and kept us all safe too. I highly recommend her.
I tent camped after the rafting trip. I was a little concerned before I got there about the idea of an on site restaurant/bar, but it wasn't an issue. The property is large enough that even with a live band playing, it wasn't loud near the campsites. Plus, it's nice to have food options without having to drive anywhere. I hear from fellow campers that the grilled cheese was a wonderful snack before hitting the water.

The whitewater rafting was so much fun! We did the 1/2 day trip and it great - fun rapids but some still water to swim. Would definitely recommend. And ask for Big John for your guide. He knows the river so well and talks you through all the rapids.

Jimmy was incredible! The best guide we have ever had. This was our friends first rafting experience and she was happy screaming the whole way down. He made it so fun not only for her but also the rest of us. He made it an experience instead of just a trip. I know he helps with other aspects of the business but please keep him guiding.

I rented a campsite and pitched my tent. Great location. Plenty of spots for a tent and trees to hang your Eno. Jules the manager is awesome - I forgot my pillow and she loaned me an extra they had. Good food and drinks at the Bus so you don’t have to drive anywhere if you don’t want. The bath house was simple but very clean and is all you need. Now they do have live music some Saturday nights I think, but they stopped at midnight when I was there. I enjoyed it but if you want a little more quiet late night on a Saturday then maybe not the spot for you. But wasn’t loud at the campsite area as band is on the other side of the building. A great place overall and more than I expected, and I’d recommend it to anyone needing a spot to camp. Plus hit em up and let them take you rafting down the Ocoee while staying with them and save driving to other outfitters!

We had an absolute blast. It was my husband's first time going, and now he can't wait to go back. The High Country team was great. Our team leader Hannah was absolutely great. She did a wonderful job, and made sure everyone on the raft was enjoying themselves and tried to Kerri everyone comfortable.
(The river was freezing, but it was still an amazing trip!)

My experience was amazing. This was my 1st time ever rafting. The staff was friendly and informative. They show us our safety guideline prior to our ride up to the rafts. Our guide James was very great. He was knowledgeable about was needed to keep us in the boat. Also you get great photos of our experience.

This is the best white water rafting tour around!! We have now gone a few times and every time has been an incredible adventure story lol. Shelley is the best guide ever hands down! But all of the guides there are amazing an experienced. You feel excited and safe and having fun all at the same time. They start out by giving you an intro class and teach you how to do the paddles etc. Then you board the bus and ride down to the entrance at the river. The lunch they serve is pretty good too and they even offer a veggie option. There is also a really fun part before lunch where you swim and float down the river. The water gets colder as the season ends, we went the second time on last day of the season. But what an incredible ride. The first time we conquered the Godzilla rapid was unreal and the second time too. If you stay on the raft or if you flip you will be well prepared and it will be an adventure of a lifetime. We cannot wait to go back next year! They also take pictures the entire time so you have the option to buy one or all of them at the end. Team Kenny!

Candace was a great guide with lots of experience on the river. She took us through the rapids making my boat of novices feel like pros. High Country was great to deal with on the phone (called them instead of booking through Groupon) for my party of 9.

Me and my group thoroughly enjoyed our time. We went after 3pm which seems is the best time of day for the rapids. Our guide was Dean and he was spectacular. He's a lead guide and knows all the great rapids and key spots in the river. He also know many tricks with the raft that made the experience that much better. He also had great conversation and kept the first timers calm yet brought them out their shells. I highly recommend and ask for Dean!

Went here for one of my good friends Birthday and we had an amazing time. I had never been water rafting before this time. The event was crazy. The water was exactly what we needed it to be. I plan on going back for my birthday!

This was my first time whitewater rafting, and I can 100% say that I loved it!
The staff there were super welcoming and friendly, and they all had a light-hearted, upbeat attitude, and definitely made the whole experience that much better!
After a scenic drive to the dam where the rafting starts, we met our guide and learned our commands, and this began our trip down the river.
I won't spoil the trip, because I definitely think you should do it yourself, but just know that it is definitely worth it.
Also, quick shout out to some of our guides, TC Lee, Jack, and Hannah!

I have not had so much fun in forever! This weekend was my first experience in white water rafting and we did the full run - Upper and middle. We had ‘Gale Force’ as our guide and things couldn’t have been more perfect. We also stayed in the cabins - if you’ve not done this you definitely should. Lots of room, clean, very convenient, and the views are amazing. Best part? No TV. 🤪. Thank you for an absolutely amazing adventure. I could not think of a better way to spend my birthday!

This was the best whitewater rafting trip I have ever experienced. Our guide was Nick (Harp) and he was an expert with us. He gave flawless directions & delivered 100% when we asked for max adventure! When we flipped in a rapids, Nick successfully managed to rally everyone back into the boat before maneuvering us out. I am used to having boring & uneventful trips down the river but WOW if I could have detailed everything I wanted to happen on a trip, it would be this one. Thank you so much Harp ! You’ve redeemed whitewater for me - & We absolutely loved you!

I had the most incredible time white water rafting. We had a big group & some were rafting for the first time (naturally apprehensive). TC Lee was our instructor & he did an amazing job from start to finish. He was funny, engaging, & super safety conscious while giving us a ton of thrills! Im looking forward to next year!!!

We took a family of five and had a fantastic experience on the middle part of the river. Sydney was our guide and we could not have asked for a better person to take us down the River. She was kind, respectful, and extremely knowledgeable. I trusted her to keep our family safe, but also to give us a great time together.

Really enjoyed today's trip with friends and family. Our guide Justin was very fun and knowledgeable about the rapids and we had a good run down middle Ocoee. I have done this section of the river many times and always enjoy bringing new people with me.

This is our 4th time with High Country. The place is top-notch. The guides are always excellent. White-water fun at its fullest. We did the middle Ocoee class IV. Our two daughters ages 12 and 14 went down this river for the first time, Mr. Pink made sure to keep us safe and kept the fun rolling. We will be back agian! Our daughters haven't stopped talking about how much fun they had. They are ready for some Class Five with Pink!
