I love this place! They always keep updating the attractions. There is a significant variety of food options to choose from. I would definitely try to avoid going there on the weekend if possible, especially during spring break. It gets super busy. But the thing that I love the most about this part is how efficient everything is. Compared to other theme parks such as Magic Mountain, the people that work here are very good at making sure everything stays organized and moves quickly. Customer service is outstanding, if not exceptional. Everyone is very friendly. I would definitely recommend getting an express pass, especially on the weekend. It will save you a lot of time and misery, especially in the summer. Definitely recommend visiting here

Get up close and personal with Hollywood! Great way to spend a day. The new Nintendo World is AWESOME! They have really outdone themselves with this one. You really need to go and see it.
This year through Aug, they have “Dark Nights” at Hogwarts. Don’t miss it if you’re there , It is really cool!
All in all a great day spent riding some fun rides and making memories!
ANDREA DIXON — Google review
It's basically the best theme park on the planet. But also because of that, every attraction has at least 1 hour queue time during a Tuesday. Those new popular ones, such as super Nintendo world will need over 2 hours. The food in the park is surprisingly delicious and everywhere has handicap access. Lastly, make sure you bring sun screens to avoid sun burn!

As someone who loves entertainment and thrills, my recent visit to Universal Studios in Los Angeles was an absolute dream come true! The park itself is immaculately maintained and truly lives up to its reputation as the entertainment capital.
From the moment I stepped foot inside, I was graced with an array of stunning attractions and experiences. The rides were beyond thrilling, with heart-pounding moments that left me breathless. Transformers: The Ride 3D and The Wizarding World of Harry Potter were definite highlights for me, as they truly transported me into the worlds of my favorite characters.
The attention to detail in design and the craftsmanship of the themed areas were truly mind-blowing. Whether exploring the streets of Springfield or walking through the iconic Jurassic Park gates, I felt like I was stepping into my favorite movies and TV shows.
But it's not just about the rides and attractions - the park offers so much more. From incredible shows and performances to delicious dining options, there was never a dull moment during my visit. The staff members were friendly, helpful, and full of enthusiasm, adding to the overall positive experience.
I highly recommend Universal Studios in Los Angeles to everyone, regardless of age or interests. It's a place where magic truly comes to life, leaving visitors with unforgettable memories. I cannot wait to return and experience more of the incredible world that Universal Studios has to offer!

This was a great theme park to visit, the attractions are exciting and getting some behind the scenes looks at movie sets was really cool. We went on a weekday and it was still very crowded. The new mushroom kingdom was great, but it was extremely crowded. I’d recommend researching peak times and trying to go when it’s not that crowded to get the best experience

Fantastic place to take the family. We had loads of fun. Many attractions to have fun in. I would recommend the Express pass to the park, zero wait time with it. Instantly got on the rides. Get the early access passes for Super Mario World.

Holiday decorations were plentiful and all around very well done. While I can't fit on most of the rides at Universal the ambiance and overall feel was awesome to walk around and enjoy. The blocks of time for nighttime tree lighting and Hogwarts displays were done very well. Really helped make it so you didn't feel like you'd miss anything. To maximize the day I'd recommend arriving at park opening, just allows a few quick near walk-ons in the opening hour.
Food options a plenty and can be had on a whim for the most part. Mobile order? Who needs it, if you're hungry just walk up and grab food (well save for some popcorn stands and Starbucks). As a quick-tip if you're looking for the Minion holiday popcorn bucket, head to Minion Cafe and get it there, then take the receipt to any popcorn cart to get filled.
For safety stuffs: Security and Vaccine/Negative test checks were easy and quick (though still thorough). I'd say most guests were masked and in general all around very pleasant. No fuss, no issues, it was an all around chill atmosphere with everyone enjoying.
All around 10/10 - if you want a holiday theme park visit this fits the bill nicely.

The park was absolutely amazing and fun! We had a blast! Must try the Transformer, mummy ride, and Harry Potter inside the castle. Those are the absolute best! I recommend upgrading to the express unlimited tickets. Cost was like $307 each but we did not have any wait times and rode rides back to back and the same people were still standing 1hr plus away after we would pass through like 2 times. We completed the park by 5pm and had arrived at 9:30am. We were only able to do this because we had the express.

We went on memorial day and expected it to be super packed. Happily, it was not. We had plenty of room to walk around. We purchased the lightning passes and I loved it. We got to ride every ride we wanted to in the park except for the rides in super Nintendo world. If you plan on going specifically for that, I recommend you plan ahead and purchase the "get into the park an hour early" pass so you can get in line early. The super Nintendo world was very immersive and was like walking into a fantasy land. If you love Mario I highly recommend visiting. All in all we had an amazing time. I liked the mummy coaster ride the best. I totally didn't think I would but it was so much fun! Go check it out! ❤️

It's a completely different experience than Disney Land. All of the attractions, shows, and games make for a great time. The Harry Potter area was great and the kids came out saying that was the best part of the whole trip. Nintendo World is a great visible experience, Mario Kart Browser Challenge not so much (the game effects were great), don't get me wrong it was fun, but after spending 3 hours in line due to a maintenance issue, the 5 minute ride no longer had an appeal. Without the issue expect to wait at least an hour and a half. Also make sure to reserve your virtual wait time very early or you may not get the opportunity to do so. Hope you all have a great experience visiting Universal Studios!

As always, arrive early to get a good parking spot. It is worth it to get the universal express pass, which is like their version of a fast pass. I was able to walk right onto the Jurassic World ride. The wait times are usually not that bad if you get there before noon on the weekend, or during a weekday when it’s not the summer. It’s so amazing there. I had an absolutely wonderful time. CityWalk is also great. They have so many wonderful restaurants. I would highly recommend that you visit in Universal Studios, if you are visiting Los Angeles.

Exceed my expectation! So much fun especially with the Mario experience. The Mario cart ride is interactive and lot of fun!
The Harry Potter ride is really good and feel realistic especially the broom ride portion.
Drinking in Moe’s Tavern is a dream come true! And Duff beer is pretty good. No wonder Homer love it.
The most important part here is the studio ride! The movie sets are excellent and love the transformer, fast and furious, and the Meg live action. The raining and flooding part is also great!
At first my trip in LA does not include visiting Universal Studio.. and luckily we change our plan and didn’t regret a bit!

Universal Studios Hollywood was so fun. The lands are all so detailed with so much care in the detail. The staff were amazing and so many are so good at posting their characters. We went early with early access to start with the Nintendo Land. Definitely worth it as you cannot get into the Toad cafe most likely as almost every reservation went immediately. Avoided lots of crowds for the big things too like the Mario Kart ride which is really fun. The whole Nintendo area is very immersive and interactive. I would say that Harry Potter and Nintendo are my favorite, but I enjoyed each place we went to. Go in knowing that each Land mostly has one main attraction asking with shops and food and you won't be disappointed!

Fun for all ages. I love the new attractions in the studio tour and of course, the Super Ninetendo World. The theme park seemed to be less crowded now than when I visited during the summer. I love the Christmas Lights and Decors all over the park. Make sure to download the app to see wait times if you are not planning on adding the VIP / Express pass. It sure helps a lot.

Super Mario’s World!! So much fun, the games and the toadstool cafe! Would totally recommend! If you’re trying to get into the toadstool cafe, make sure that you head into super Mario’s world first to secure a spot by scanning the QR code.
Harry Potter world was also so much, make sure to stop by to get butter beer, head into their candy shop for some unique candy and the rides were super fun!
Would totally recommend buying tickets online and if you can, head in during a weekday.

There's action packed attractions around every corner. This is a great getaway from reality. You can immerse yourself in the magic of Hollywood. The park is clean and easy to navigate. The staff here was friendly and helpful. The newest attraction is Super Nintendo World. This is very popular. One can buy an electronic wristband for $40 to further interact with gaming activities here. Not only do you feel like you are stepping right into Mario World, but also stepping back in time. Download the app for more control over your visit. Plenty of info such as real-time maps, attraction wait times, and mobile food ordering. I found the food ordering on the app to be time-saving and easy to use. I visited the park with another adult. We arrived at open and stayed till close. We were able to enjoy all the attractions we wanted with the help of the app. There's also plenty of meet and greet opportunities of movie characters.

Was it worth the almost $800 for a family of four? On balance, just about yes. If possible, visiting outside of peak holiday times will improve your experience significantly. Several rides has 1-2h waiting times, so be prepared to spend the full day there. The Universal Studios Tour is one of the best attractions, and has a shorter waiting time.

We did the VIP tour and it was incredible! I would highly recommend it if you don’t want to spend the entire day waiting in lines. Our tour guide was very nice, and took us on every one of the rides in the park with zero weight. Note the weights even in the express lines was 30 minutes for some of the more popular rides. We had a couple of hours before and after our tour to wander the park on our own. We were able to ride all of our favorite rides multiple times. Even though the VIP pass is supposed to put you into the express line when you were not on the tour, our experience was at the staff lots of VIPs to the front of the line even when they’re not on a tour. In the entire day we waited less than five minutes in line ever. The buffet lunch was also very impressive. Much better food that he would normally get in a park. Add to this included breakfast in valet parking, and the VIP pass is a great deal compared to the express pass. You can save money and spend the entire day waiting in 70 to 90 minute lines, or you can get the VIP pass and do everything you want. On the back lot tour we were able to get off the tram and walk around through some of the movie sets. It was really fun to see the set of the good Place, as well as one of the crash scenes from war of the worlds.

First time here and it was magical! All the staff are helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. The park is fairly easy to navigate with the front/back lots and the upper/lower lots. We were able to go to every attraction and show and each was unique and fun. This park has lots of fun for all ages.
It’s important to note that unlike the other universal studios this one has a huge lot tour, where you’re able to see different sound stages and behind the scenes sets. Due to this, they have less thrilling rides compared to other locations. Highly recommend coming here and would also highly suggest the express pass to bypass the lines!

We came specifically for Super Nintendo World & it did not disappoint. It was so neat to experience. We waited almost 3 hours to ride the Mario Kart ride so that wasn’t fun, but we’re glad we did it. The rest of Universal was a bonus. The Harry Potter ride was pretty cool if you aren’t prone to motion sickness.

Went on a sold out Thursday to go to Mario World. We didn't do early tickets. Missed most of City Walk and the one section of the park. Lines were 2 to 3 hours. Had a fire alarm go off in Mario World and the whole attraction stopped. The only good thing that came out of it, is we got to eat at Toadstool. The Mario Kart Race broke down and we had to wait 30 minutes for that.
Jurassic Park water ride also broke down and we waited. Potter world was jammed packed, barely could walk in the stores. The rides were cool in HP.
The rides were fun, Mario World was great. If we were to go again, we would try to find an off peak day to enjoy it more.

Fun times, if planned accordingly you can get to everything in one day. Plenty of clean bathrooms and water fountains. Food prices are very theme park but mostly good.
The longest wait was Super Nintendo 1 hr since it's the newest attraction.
In the process of making a roller coaster that will run next to the stairs. Good to see improvements.

So much fun. This is the place to go if you love movies. Their accessibility services are moving online, so be sure to check it out ahead of time. They're using a company that verifies your needs through a doctor note, then gives you a one year accessibility note good for many different theme parks; or you can still wait in a long line at guest services each day. They do not give an accessibility pass for mobility only, claiming all ride queues are accessible (not true). I don't know how they handle the non accessible queues without the pass.
CLSH — Google review
We had a great time. We used to go for years, but now we were able to bring our daughter for the first time to grinchmas and enjoy the rides. She was just shy of 48" so there were only 2 rides she missed (the mummy and the Harry Potter and the forbidden Journey) but were able to do the child switch so we could still enjoy it. We did get the unlimited fast pass, which was worth it. My daughter got to go on multiple rides multiple times. In the 8 hours we were there we probably rode 16 rides (including the tram tour and a break for eating and also did the water world show) probably one of the best experiences we've had due to the fast pass.
We also saw the light show at the Hogwarts Castle, and it was fantastic! The first time we stayed to watch it and it was a winter spectacular.
I also strongly recommend Hollywood horror nights to those who like scary movies. We've gone many years.
If you are going to do a fast pass, you should decide when you get the tickets since if you go during a busy time, they may run out, and you may not be able to upgrade at the park.
Aaliyah Gomillion — Google review
I would not come back, no real rides it’s all virtual stuff. For the price we paid for tickets the rides could be better. The park is clean and well organized, Mario world is impressive but there is only one ride there. The road cafe was booked by the time we got there so we did not get to experience it. Harry Potter world has the best rides in my opinion, there is an actual roller coaster which was a breather of fresh air. We purchased the express tickets, I am sure they are worth it on a busy day but when we went it was very slow at the park. We got to do every ride which was fun. City walk right outside the park was fun, it has many restaurants and stores. I think I enjoyed this the most. The kids really wanted to get the giant donuts at the Simpson section, they each got one and ate it over the course of a week. I did not try them but they both said they were good. The price for the donuts is more than reasonable. We had lunch at Panda Express, it was good but don’t get the beef with broccoli, literally it’s all broccoli.

I have never been to a place like this before as always thought I’d hate it.
Went with wife and adult daughter and I had one of the best days out in years (excluding Grand Canyon visit the week before!)
Studio tours- very interesting
Rides - Jurassic park and Mummy were faves!!
Mario - didn’t really know what you were supposed to do but was interesting anyway.
Went on 19th March (thinks it spring break) busiest ride was 30min wait on that day. Couldn’t justify paying £165 odd for express passes but for us it was fine and we did every ride at lower level and all the ones we wanted on upper level. We were there about 8 hours.
Staff super helpful, parking easy.
Lush shake too…..😊

One of the greatest experiences visiting the adventure park. Definitely worth the money you spend with all the rides and entertainment. Food and the merch there is pricey. But once in a while it is worth away from the hustle and bustle of the busy work schedule and school. Loved every bit! Would definitely visit again. The studio tour was worth it as u will know inner dynamics of the shoot process. Nintendo world is more for little kids but if you have been a Mario fan since childhood super nostalgic experience. The wait times here are way longer and super slow. Overall great experience!!
Anjana Pradeep — Google review
Mind blowing experience. Covered as much as possible in 1 day pass. Missed to get express pass so have to wait in queue for 1 Hr for few rides. Lot of dining options, better to install universal studio app in the phone so you can order food and collect directly else have to stand in queue and spend time for that. Easy to reach using LA metro and free shuttle operated by studio from metro station
Prabhu S — Google review
Universal studio was amazing. Harry Potter land was top three places/ theme parks I've ever been to in my life. If you want to go all in on the robe, the hat and the wand you're looking about 200 to $250 easy. The butterbeer tasted like butterscotch ginger ale. If you plan on going to Universal you definitely need to go ride Super Mario and the other big rides very early because after 10:00. Oh my god it was so freaking busy. Not to mention if you don't like heights or escalators then don't go because you climb at least 1,000 ft if not more in elevation on escalators. Also don't go in the winter because the wind was so bad that it was in the low 60s but it felt like the 40s because the wind was whipping around and it was freezing. The rides were very well done and very well thought out. You can tell that they're a movie company. Because they're production level of the special effects on each and every ride was 10 times more than Disneyland. There's a cool little mall outside of one of the parking garage is that has a lot of interesting shops on the way in. Definitely didn't know what to expect since this was my first time, but I will definitely do this again. We went for one day but I think it would be easier to do it over a 2 or 3 days just because of the amount of stuff there is to ride and see.

Located atop Mount Lee in Griffith Park, the Hollywood Sign is a world-famous symbol of the entertainment industry that offers impressive views from official viewpoints. If you have the time, make sure to stick around for both sunset and dusk at Griffith Observatory, which is a fun experience to witness.
After having lunch and the Beachwood Cafe (highly recommended!!!) we went for a great walk up to the Hollywood sign.
It was a warm day however was well worth the truck up. You can’t get up in front of the sign but you can get up right behind the sign. There are ample opportunities for you to take photos on the way up where the sign is very clear. If you could do it I would say go all the way to the top, the view is absolutely rewarding and it is 360°
We passed several people however the walk up is not crowded. Make sure you bring lots of water on a hot day!

Spent about 4 hours hiking from Bronson parking lot and back. The view was amazing but it’s super host despite being February. We hiked to the view point, then back to take the trail up to Mt Lee summit.
The summit was definitely worth the hike. The view was not as touristy as the viewpoint but I liked it because there are less people and it’s a great exercise. The view up north is great too!

The Hollywood Sign is an iconic symbol of the entertainment industry and the city of Los Angeles. Located on Mount Lee in the Hollywood Hills, the sign is a landmark that has been featured in countless films, TV shows, and photographs over the decades.
Despite its popularity, the Hollywood Sign is not always easy to reach. Visitors can hike to the sign from various starting points, but the trails can be steep and challenging, particularly in hot weather. Nevertheless, the hike is worth it for the breathtaking views and the opportunity to stand in the shadow of such an iconic symbol.

Park at Griffith Observatory to hike to the Hollywood sign, free parking in the morning until maybe 10AM if I remember correctly. Trails are VERY POORLY marked, better have a good sense of direction, not many places to stop to pee so you have been warned....I suppose must people have cell phone navigation but I am not in the 21 century yet. A large portion of land near the sign was added to the park thanks in part t a rather large donation from the Hugh Hefner Foundation.

I always enjoy the sign from the Griffith observatory.
Always plan ahead of visiting during weekend as parking is limited.
I suggest to park down and opt for a free shuttle.
It’s is the list easiest and cheapest way to get to the Griffith Observatory.
You may hike if you like to hike, there are plenty of different beautiful hikes.

AMAZING 5.1 mile round trip, out-and-back hike to the top of the Hollywood Sign. Must mention that the last 1/4 mile or so really winded us, but wife and I are both 70 years old, and we made it! We began at the Innsdale Trailhead, and there was plenty of on-street parking available on this weekday morning.
Prepare yourself with trail maps, as there are a couple "hidden" turns along the path which he was well aware of. I've attached a few photos, one of which shows the switch-back trail below and in the distance that we hiked as we headed to the top. You can do it!
This was the highlight of outdoor activities we did while on our week-long Los Angeles vacation.

Uphill climb most of the time, well maintained trail, no shades, bring plenty of water, can get hot in the middle of day. What’s amazing about the Hollywood sign is the fact that it’s right in people’s backyard. You drive through neighborhoods to get there then wonder how it would be having so many tourists driving through your neighborhood. It was just plain old fun being there.

I was there last summer, and i can tell you the view is perfect. Google maps navigated me by the longer route, but luckily i find the shortest path there.
Trail duration was about an hour walking at my speed. I entered trail on Mullholland highway.
Easily acessible by car, and even metro. You can drive by metro till north hollywood, and then enter the Beachwood Canyon Dash, and he will drive you right to the hill.
Equipment needed: lot of water, drinks, bcs air is dry, and that's it.
You can see Los Angeles like your hand, and Pasadena on the way there.
There is a little photos from jurney.

It could have been sooooo much better, they need to take care of the cleanliness there, probably caused by a lot of homeless people on the side street. Hollywood walk of fame is about the legacy of stars from various fields of film making who worked towards excellence and carved a niche with their lifetime works. It is great to see the signs but it would be great if the local city council does special events to explain it’s significance and maintain the neatness of the walkways. It’s free to walk around but finding ideal car parking space in Hollywood city is challenging

Came here really only to see the stars & take some pictures of the most iconic names. If your going with children I definitely recommend checking out the other attractions that are around. It can all be done in a day however I would definitely prepare yourself for a lot of walking. I also very highly recommend that if your going to buy any souvenirs you buy them around here !!! GREAT PRICES! Overall amazing experience. 5 ⭐️🤩. RIP TINA TURNER Queen of Rock n Roll 🙏🏻

A must see to check the box on your bucket list. Not the most glamorous part of time. Always have trouble trying to find a reasonable parking place for a reasonable rate.
The Kodak Theatre is part of the walk and is a nice place to sit and relax. There are some options for lunch and drinks.

Great for tourist but leave before 3 otherwise you'll be stuck in LA traffic which is bumper to bumper from 3 to 6:30pm. Some sidewalks have homeless and less desirable smells. See your favorite stars use trader Joe's on vine for public restrooms.Restrooms. North and vine has public parking 4$ for 2 hours amaizing deal for parking ramp fees.

The Hollywood Walk of Fame is an iconic destination that lives up to its legendary reputation. Stretched along the bustling streets of Hollywood, this attraction is a tribute to the entertainment industry's brightest stars.
Walking down the sidewalk, you'll be surrounded by the names and symbols of some of the most celebrated actors, musicians, directors, and other luminaries. It's a stroll through the annals of Hollywood history and a testament to the enduring allure of show business.
What struck me most about the Walk of Fame is the sense of nostalgia and excitement it evokes. As you spot the stars bearing the names of your favorite celebrities, it's hard not to feel a sense of connection with the entertainment world. The opportunity to take photos with your beloved stars' stars is a highlight.
While the Walk of Fame is often crowded, it's worth navigating through the throngs of fellow admirers. The street performers and costumed characters add to the lively atmosphere, creating a unique blend of entertainment and culture.
One thing to remember is that the area around the Walk of Fame is quite touristy, and you'll find plenty of shops, restaurants, and attractions. It's a great place to experience the energy of Hollywood, but also be prepared for the typical tourist scene.
In conclusion, the Hollywood Walk of Fame is a must-visit spot for anyone exploring Los Angeles. It's a chance to walk in the footsteps of the stars and immerse yourself in the glitz and glamour of the entertainment world. It's a reminder of the dreams and legends that continue to shape Hollywood.

It's definitely underwhelming, but worth a quick stroll through (an hour is enough). The homeless population is a big issue and they have severe mental health issues. Please ignore them for your own safety.

It was good to see it. I expected more but it was cool. About 30 minutes to walk it from end to end. Good vibes in the streets and plenty of street food options. Make sure to try it!
Parking is hard to find. We parked at the beginning of the street in a public car park for 25$ for 2 hours (they also do full day for 35$).

Love it here, easy parking to find . I enjoyed the
date time View it’s more for family that have kids. During the daytime there’s a lot of things to do with the family . The nightlife here it’s OK to bring your kids but it will be overcrowded with a lot of adults. The nightlife is so much fun so many things to do I will definitely recommend this place to everyone.

Full of people.
Full of souvenirs shops.
Full of homeless. Some parts smell really bad.
Chinese theater is awesome.
The Dolby is a landmark itself.
Of course, the stars in the walkboard are nice to see. Nothing special to me, but a lot of people find them amazing.

What can I say.. it’s crowded, people constantly trying to sell you their music, food, water, shirts. There’s a few stores around and restaurants. If you want to take a picture of a star you have to rush. It’s a once in a life time to me anyway. Sad to see all the homeless people around there which make the experience less than great.

A must do for your 1st time visit to Hollywood… I myself have been there a few times but finally was able to walk this strip… Wear comfortable shoes… I prefer the morning times 10am… Less foot traffic and not as hot. You have time to look for at each Star without bumping into people. Have a few $ for cool souvenirs and follow the map!
*Watch for the amount of Homeless and aggressive pan handling*

Off course, a must visit place of you are in LA, but is does not mean a nice and comfort spot to spent time. It is a very long street with thousands of Hollywood iconic names on the floor.
I expect the place is a nigh class and we'll maintain, but no, it is just a street with a lot of souvenirs shops. The areas a bit dirty though.
The good part, you can take picture of Hollywood sign from distance from on of the shopping mall.

Hollywood Walk of Fame is popular Hollywood sidewalks emblazoned with stars & celebrity names since 1960's.
It is near to Griffith Observatory where the famous Holywood sign and the beautiful sunset from the movie LaLa Land can be enjoyed.
As there are many homeless people around the area, I recommend the sightseeing in the day time or near the place where movie theaters are.

Pretty cool. Cannabis smell is everywhere i personally don't mind but if you do just know your gonna be smelling that a lot finding parking was pretty easy prices were ok also quite a few homeless mething around besides that pretty cool place to visit.

This was the first time doing the walk of fame with the family. We went to see Tupac and Dr. Dre's stars. Be aware that this place is filled with unhoused and can get a little scary for the light hearted, but overall was a cool experience.

Walking along the Hollywood Walk of Fame was a fascinating experience, offering a glimpse into the entertainment industry’s history. The diverse array of stars, from actors and musicians to directors and fictional characters, highlighted the industry’s broad impact. Street performers added to the lively atmosphere, making it a must-visit for anyone interested in entertainment history. Finally seeing Betty White’s star was a personal highlight, adding a touch of nostalgia to an already memorable stroll.

This is my first time checking out the Walk of Fame. It’s one of the most iconic places in LA and there are many celebrities and actors on the stars. Just be careful of people in costumes trying to get you to take a picture as those are tourist scams. Definitely a must see in LA!

I came here to see what the big deal is. It was surreal to see a place with such cultural significance. I would never return but it’s cool to see it at least once. I don’t have any special reverence for any celebrity. I simply came here because it’s a tourist attraction and I thought it would be fun.

Can’t visit LA without stopping at the Hollywood Walk of Fame. It was my first time there and I’m not going to lie, I was highly disappointed. It was very dirty and there were homeless people everywhere. I’m so mad at myself for not visiting years ago when it was most likely cleaner. I did like seeing the stars and it kind of felt like a scavenger hunt trying to find names I recognize. But honestly, I would not recommend.

I had a fantastic time visiting the Hollywood Walk of Fame! The iconic stars on the sidewalk, each representing a legendary figure in the entertainment industry, were truly impressive. It was a bit crowded, but the energy and excitement of the place were contagious. I enjoyed taking photos and strolling down the boulevard, trying to spot my favorite celebrities' stars. It's a must-visit attraction for anyone interested in the history of Hollywood and the entertainment world.

Very cool, classic Hollywood scene.
There’s plenty of free street parking as well as paid parking lots nearby. The stores are fine and definitely overpriced but this is to be expected. Some homeless people around but they don’t bother anyone. I never felt unsafe.

Griffith Observatory is a popular attraction in Los Angeles with stunning panoramas of the city and surrounding area. The observatory sits atop Mount Hollywood and offers free public telescopes for viewing the stars. It is also home to a planetarium and exhibition space, which hosts monthly star parties for visitors to ask questions about astronomy.
What a nice park. The observatory is perched on top of Mount Hollywood with easy parking and free at the observatory if one arrives early and on a weekday before 12am. Wow! The Hollywood sign is visible from the observatory. What! Hiking down the mountain is easy but going up isn’t so easy so keep that in mind. Bring water and comfy hiking shoes. Great place

It was good. The views are great from outside and the exhibits and displays inside are really great. They are interactive and fun to engage with. The staff was very knowledgeable and courteous. My one complaint is that they didn't open until noon. A later opening is understandable, but not until noon. There were a couple hundred people waiting around outside for them to open. In the summer time, a 9 or 10 opening seems more than reasonable. Overall, good experience.

Amazing, educational & a must see in LA. This is our first trip to California and this was our first stop. Parking can be an issue though.
We drove up through the Hollywood Hills to Griffith around 5pm. Once there, we drove to the top in search of a parking spot. We found one near the top but all the nearby meters were broken. 🤷♂️
We walked around, took pics of the Hollywood sign, looked at the amazing exhibits inside, & watched 2 shows. Side note: "Signs of Life" costs ($10 adults, $8 teachers/students/seniors, kids 5-12 are $6, kids under 5 are free) but is a MUST SEE. You need to arrive 15 min before your show.
When we go again, I'd get there a little earlier. We missed the telescope. 😞 (The telescope closes at 9:30) Oh well, next time. Can't wait!

I visited Griffith Observatory during the mid-Autumn festival, hoping to catch a glimpse of the moon. Unfortunately, the evening was cloudy, and the moon remained elusive. However, my disappointment quickly turned into delight as I explored the fascinating world of nighttime science at the observatory.
The Griffith Observatory, perched atop the hills of Los Angeles, offers an exceptional experience for both astronomy enthusiasts and casual visitors. Despite missing out on lunar views, there was so much to see and learn inside. The planetarium shows were captivating, shedding light on the mysteries of our universe, and the interactive exhibits provided hands-on learning experiences that were both entertaining and educational.
The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the telescopes on the observatory's terrace. Even though the moon was hidden from view, the knowledgeable staff was more than willing to guide visitors through the night sky, showcasing stars, planets, and other celestial wonders. It was a unique opportunity to connect with the cosmos and appreciate the beauty of the universe.
The observatory's location is also a treat in itself. The panoramic views of Los Angeles from the terrace are breathtaking, especially at night when the city lights twinkle below. It's a serene escape from the bustling urban life of LA.
While I couldn't fulfill my moon-gazing dreams that night, my visit to Griffith Observatory was a memorable and enriching experience. It's a place that not only ignites curiosity about the universe but also offers a serene retreat to contemplate the mysteries of the cosmos while enjoying the captivating science of the night.

Parking can be challenging, but if you drive up to the observatory a few hours after they open you can still get a spot on the side of the mountain. It's about a 20 minute trek up, so make sure to bring a hat, water and good walking shoes. We only spent an hour there, but it was really cool to see the breathtaking views, Hollywood sign and LA spread out before us.

A must-see California landmark, with a lot of opportunities to learn. The exhibits inside are always worth a look. When I was there, it seemed to have plenty of parking and it wasn't very crowded, but it still required at least an extra 20 - 40 minutes to account for parking and finding your way. Be sure to take in the sights and enjoy the outdoor area - in addition to the building and exhibits itself. You won't find too many better views in the L.A. area - day or night.

Beautiful park and view. On a clear day, you can see all the way to downtown LA, and the Hollywood sign too. It would be a great place to go for a picnic family hike, plenty of trails with all kinds of length and difficulty. The greenery and wildlife are absolutely stunning, and overall it’s just a very iconic view of the city.

This is a must-see place if you’re in LA. The views of the LA skyline, the Hollywood sign, and the surrounding mountains are incredible. This is one of my favorite places to go to in Los Angeles.
The Good:
—The views on all sides are absolutely breathtaking!
—You can see the Hollywood Sign on the right side up on Mt. Lee.
—You can park for free on West Observatory Road, West Canyon Road, and the upper parking lot by the Observatory on Monday through Friday from opening until 12:00 P.M. and on Saturday and Sunday from opening until 9:00 A.M.
—There are a lot of trails near there, and there are many ways to get a great workout.
The Bad
—Parking is $10.00 per hour in the upper parking lot and on roads near the Observatory anytime Monday to Friday after 12:00 P.M. and on Saturday and Sunday after 9:00 A.M.
—Currently, the buildings are only open on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Accessibility: there are some disabled parking spots in the parking closest to the Observatory, but it is still not a very short distance, be aware. If you can walk but have difficulty walking, I do recommend bringing your own wheelchair. Once you get up to the Observatory, there are ramps on both the left and right side of the Observatory to go inside of it and skip the stairs directly in front. The doors are propped open to get inside the Observatory, and there are elevators to get from the first floor up to the top of the Observatory, and a separate elevator to go down to the gift shop and separate exhibits. This place is surprisingly accessible. I did not see any wheelchairs here to rent, though. It is SUPER busy on the weekends, so if you want to skip some of the crowd, try to go during workday hours in the week.
Experience: this place is super cool and beautiful. There are incredible views from everywhere here, and the Observatory itself is amazing and educational. Even kids will enjoy this place! This is one of those must-see places in Los Angeles. 5 out of 5 stars!
Tip: no pets allowed inside the Observatory, but you can have your pet on a leash outside the Observatory.

A classic landmark with a beautiful view of both the city and the stars and a long, rich history behind it. They've shot everything from Rebel Without A Cause and The Terminator to Who Framed Roger Rabbit and Back To The Future here. If you go inside they have some awesome space and science exhibits (even a functional Tesla Coil!). If you stay outside, you can get some nice photos of the L.A. skyline as well as the Hollywood sign. Lots of great hiking trails all around too. Highly recommend everyone checking it out at least once, whether you're a tourist or a native. You're bound to find something you enjoy.

From the moment we approached the iconic building perched atop the Griffith Park hills, we were captivated by its grandeur. The architecture itself is a masterpiece, evoking a sense of timeless elegance that made us feel like we had stepped into a scene from a classic Hollywood movie.
The highlight of our visit was, without a doubt, the awe-inspiring view of the cityscape and the glittering night sky from the observatory's terrace. As the sun set on the horizon, the city lights began to twinkle like stars below us, creating a surreal ambiance. It was a surreal feeling that transported us right into the iconic scene from the Terminator movie, where the observatory played a pivotal role in the plot.
In conclusion, our visit to the Griffith Observatory was an unforgettable experience that left us feeling inspired and enlightened. The blend of science, history, and breathtaking views was truly exceptional, and we can't wait to return

Saw this place more than hundred times on TV, but you don't realize how astonishing Griffith Observatory is until you are here in person.
The building of the observatory itself is such an elegant architecture situated up on the hill of Hollywood, plus the story of Mr. Griffith, this is definitely a must visit place when you are in LA downtown area.
Meanwhile, this is also the perfect location to appreciate the night view of the Great LA metropolitan area, just utterly beautiful.

I love to come here and just walk around as a place in LA to explore. What’s great is that there are trails for us to walk here if you love to hike that are close as well.
In any case, the Griffith Observatory is a free place to come to whether if you love to have a friend to explore with, by yourself, and just looking for something to do, or want to go on a date with someone without spending a lot of money.
The views are nice and usually there are a great amount of parking, which is better of course if you are coming over a weekday versus the weekend.
Long story short, come on and check it out if you haven’t already done so because it is a fun, free place for people to come to. (unless you were going to check out the other movies that they have and which you will have to pay a ticket for)
Until soon !!

It's a great place to visit, even if you are not interested in the universe. There are a lot of trails with great views of the city, and it's a perfect place to come in the midsummer night. It's beautiful, and the temperature is pleasant up there. It might take some time to find parking. There were a lot of visitors. However, they were all seem very surprisedly polite and happy, couldn't say the same thing to a lot of tourist place we had been.

Amazing views of the city and Hollywood hill outside the observatory. Lots of interesting items and information on astronomy on display inside the observatory. You can walk around the observatory at your leisure. Entry is free unless you want to visit one of their exhibitions. Must visit if you are in LA.

Definitely worth going to at least once. Beautiful views, nice exhibits (the weigh yourself on various planets was pretty neat) and the planetarium show was very lovely. live narration with a very soothing voice - dangerously close to putting me to sleep if it were not so fascinating.
Highly recommend either taking transit ride share to the top or you can just hike to the top - parking situation is ugly close to the observatory. Get there early - the more the day goes on the more crowded it gets.

A beautiful building located in a scenic location. It was raining and foggy the entire time we were there so couldn't get the sprawling view of LA this time around. However, it was still worth a visit with a beautiful interior dome and quite a few exhibitions to look at..There are more options if you buy a ticket.
Consider using the free Dash bus services instead of going through the hassles of finding parking here, which is quite limited

Took the scenic hike up the trail and was surprised at how empty it was. I recommend it over driving, from Hollywood or through the golf course it takes around 30mins and you avoid the parking hassle and the people. It was called the Boy Scout trail. The view is splendid and the museum seems nice, but very busy during the weekend

What can you say, the GO is iconic on a number of levels. It's much larger than I expected and the displays are very interesting. My wife and sons saw one of the planetarium shows and they thoroughly enjoyed it. I stayed out on the upper terrace enjoying the unbelievable night view of the city and surrounding area. It'd be nice if the parking system was better but I guess you can only stuff a finite number of cars on a mountaintop. Recommended!

I have toured this place for many years, (since the 80s), and every time I go their, this place amazes me. The view here is heavenly. It is on top of the Hollywood mountain or Hill.
Please take your good camera with you, there's a lot to see and remember.
You will be able to see or observe the Stars above through a big long telescope, also you will observe the city of Los Angeles for miles long.
Very close by is the Griffith Park, The Los Angeles Zoo, and more.
While you're their, check out the ⭐✨ Stars Walk on Hollywood Blvd. And Universal Studios is a couple of minutes away from their.
Enjoy your tours and be safe!!

Excellent place to visit, don't be put off by the seeming 'big' queues, the queues move quickly and it's worth the wait.
Parking can seem like a chore, you can park on the side of the road leading up to the Observatory or drive up to the top. Either way you'll pay $10/hr to park, This sounds a lot but it actually keeps the place 'moving' and prevents people parking all day 👍
If you don't want to hike up the hill just join the queue for the Car Park at the top, you won't wait long to get up there and get a Parking space 😉
As for the Observatory, it is really good 👍😎 great views across LA from its many Balconies and Terraces, the main part is free to visit and has some great exhibits.
Well worth a trip 😎

A great place -if not the best to watch sunset in LA. You can have a great view of downtown LA and the city, as well as the sun setting behind the Hollywood sign! There usually is a lot of people coming to see the sunset, so be sure to be there pretty early if you want some good parking spots, not too far. It is very crowded, but it's cool. Plus, inside is a pretty cool exhibit explaining various astronomy and space exploration techniques, so it's very instructive. I definitely recommend it if you're looking for a spot to watch sunset in LA, not too far from the city.

We hiked up from the Dell Nature Trail, short hike up the hill, great way for the observatory to slow come into view as you hike up the hillside. Steep in some areas but the kids were up ahead and made it no problem.
The observatory is outstanding and worth it to visit. It can be busy, but it is L.A., would be strange if it wasn't. Has big capacity and there was lots of exploring to do.
Did the hike up to the lookout points as well, amazing views of the city up there. We were up during the day time, would be great in the evening too.

This should be where you start your hiking adventure when visiting Los Angeles. The panoramic views from the summit are stunning and the entire family can take part in this fun exercise. And yes, there is that boring old Observatory if you have enough energy left to visit after hiking. Parking is limited near the Observatory and your best bet is to park in the Greek Amphitheatre parking lot and take the free bus up.

The observatory is a beautiful park which has an amazing view of LA sunset. However, the crowd felt really overwhelming and took out a lot of the enjoyment for me. The parking lot gets filled so fast we decided to take the parking lot further than the one by the observatory, the walk wasn't too bad. Perhaps the influence of La La Land is too strong but I'm glad I got to go at least once.

Don’t drive up there but take the hike up instead! Take the Firebreak trail . The hike is short. About 1.7 mile but don’t let it fool you! It looks so close and near by from the bottom! It us very steep with angle about 70-90 at certain spots! When you are near the top , you can turn right and lead you to the observatory or left to see the Hollywood sign! A Los Angeles icon and a must for all tourist!!view of downtown and surrounding is a marvel!!!
The Los Angeles County Arboretum is a large botanical garden and arboretum located in Arcadia, California. It is one of the sister gardens of the Huntington Botanical Gardens. The gardens contain over 1,200 different types of plants from around the world, as well as many animal habitats. The grounds are sprawling and feature wandering peacocks and a Queen Anne cottage.
I have always liked the Arcadia Arboretum and especially the peacocks. Our son recently gave us a membership so that we can go year round. The grounds are great although it is a little early for the rose garden. Everything is in a great variety. The normal entry $15 charge is very reasonable and the memberships quickly pay for themselves.

Beautiful park crawling with wildlife and captivating natural views. I love the waterfalls and rose garden the most. It’s spring so the animals are very active at this time and love to get close up to you. Be prepared for a lot of walking and heat but it is a perfect outing for the entire family!

It’s been a few years since I’ve been back and they have a couple of changes. For starters, the entrance is being remodeled so you now enter in the middle of the parking lot area. There are also some green houses that I do not remember seeing 4 or 5 years ago. It’s pretty nice.
I bought tickets a month in advance and picked a later time in the day. I am glad because the weather ended up being pretty hot! Going at 4pm was still sweat-inducing and there isn’t much shade.
What hasn’t changed are all the peacocks that roam around, needing to watch the ground so you don’t step on poo, and the water fall is still one of the main attractions!
There is a nice view at the top of the waterfall of the tree tops and mountains.
Queen Anne’s cottage is being renovated right now but we did see a cute turtle roaming around on the grass freely.
Didn’t get to take the tram this time but the grounds are very expansive. Be prepared to walk a lot! Bring water! It’s fun to explore though.

The LA County Arboretum is such a nice place to visit anytime of the year. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable and the Arboretum is always immaculate while maintaining its natural beauty. I love going and just meandering through the different areas amongst the peacocks, Canada Geese and other critters. Besides the amazing collection of flora, there ponds, waterfalls, sculptures and historical buildings & more to enjoy. It is definitely someplace that distracts me into a calm and content state. (At this time- The Arboretum participates in the Museums for All program and waives the typical cost of admission for anyone with proof of EBT benefits and photo ID and 1 guest)

We had our wedding here on 7/9/23 and we couldn't have asked for a better experience and a more beautiful venue. We had our ceremony in the gazebo on the Event Lawn, and the reception at the Peacock Cafe. We were able to take beautiful photos all around the arboretum.
Carlos and Nicole who run the on-site Peacock Cafe also take care of weddings, and they were AMAZING! Carlos helped us set up all the logistics and made sure everything we wanted was able to happen. Nicole made us a completely vegan menu (dumpling-based buffet( that was DELICIOUS! She was lovely to work with and we couldn't believe this was her 2nd-ever vegan wedding. Everyone raved about the food!
Altogether we were so happy with our experience here. Carlos and Nicole are incredibly kind and are excellent at their jobs. They also helped us secure a wonderful DJ and helped us plan a beautiful wedding while staying in budget. The whole staff at the Arboretum made the night go amazingly smoothly. I couldn't recommend them enough!

Lovely gardens to wander around during the daytime. Plenty of things to see. Parking is free and can get kind of packed so getting here earlier is better. You can buy tickets online or at the door. The arboretum often hosts events like wedding pictures so you might come across a neatly dressed group. There are some nice themed gardens to walk through, and there is a variety of wildlife such as turtles, peacocks, and ducks to enjoy. It’s a big park and worth coming back again. If you’re grabbing a snack or a drink nearby this is the perfect afternoon detour. Definitely recommend!

Less expensive than the Huntington Gardens and so worthwhile! Fantastic wildlife, vista views, and beautifully landscaped lawns. The garden/lawn with native flora was stunning with all the blooming poppies. The parking was full when we arrived, but we found parking down a side street, accompanied by plenty of peacocks showing off. We did not buy tickets in advance, although you can if you like. Thank you, LA Arboretum - can’t wait to visit again!

My happy place. A large arboretum with a variety of plants from all over the world. Wonderful birds, including waterfowl, parrots, hummingbirds, and various migratory species. If you live nearby, the annual membership is a bargain and you can visit during extended hours.

Ummmm first time to this event and I don't feel the need to go again. The lights are okay the food area was yummy pricey but good food. It wasn't a smooth trail a lot of traffic just standing there waiting as people held up the line taking pics. One of the sides had technical issues the music turned off, I just had high expectations and was looking forward to this but I could of passed

We had a lovely 2 hour walk through the whole arboretum, taking our time. It has different sections with different types of plants, a coach barn, a beautiful home, and even an old train station (we unfortunately were too late for the museum). Very calm place. Saw plenty of peacocks, and they even hung out in the parking lot and the nearby neighborhoods. We bought our tickets online morning of but I'm not sure we even needed too. On a nice day, parking is a bit iffy. We had to drive around the lot a couple times and wait for someone to leave to get a spot.

Went to the Lightscape Reimagined 2023. First time seeing this type of special event. Had friends visiting from Toronto. Went to dinner across the street at the mall. A bit crowded. Use the shuttle to park at the mall side. Nice walk through lit displays of lights and music. Really enjoyed the slow walk.

A wonderful way to spend an afternoon. There was no wait to get in 11am on a Saturday. Expect to do a lot of walking so wear comfortable shoes, a hat, sunglasses, and bring water. So many places to sit in solitude and enjoy the scenery. We went during the Ikebana exhibit which displayed stunning Japanese floral sculptures. Don’t miss the Tropical Greenhouse or the Garden of Quiet Reflection.

If you’re into the outdoors or care about your mental health, you’ll appreciate the Los Angeles County Arboretum! There is much to see within the garden, including multiple paths, trails, bodies of water, water fountains, a waterfall, a greenhouse, an array of beautiful plants (tropical, native, and others), plenty of benches, old (historic) structures, wide open grassy areas (for children to run!), a cafe, three parking lots, and more! I know you’ll enjoy it!

All I needed was to use the restroom but they lock them all at 7pm. Talk about human suffering.. The stores seemed quite lovely but I didn't get a close enough look since i was too distracted by my inflated bladder and the fact that if i tried to empty it I would be labeled as an s offender. So I went to chili's across the street. My dog liked walking around the lot tho.

First time at the Barstow Outlets it was Pretty Cool, there is a lot of stores to choose from like Cosmetics, Van's, Calvin Klien, Nike, Coach, Sketchers ect 🛍🛍 .... Also we Loved how they had Multiple Vending Machines and Water Sprinklers for the walk around to the stores, they had nice AC units in all the stores so that was nice too🤗🧊... We went to the Food Court buuuuut I wish it was as nice as the other Stores🤔... its Outdated 🏚🙁🙁 and not too good of food it's like old school bowling alley food only way to describe it lol 🥣 but the Employees were nice and Professional so they deserve to serve Amazing food especially for the prices of all the other stores, the food court should be updated 🙌💯 Other than that no complaints it was a nice trip and nice views but bring extra money it's pricey but they also have clearance racks, they are just as good👌😎 Highly Recommend but bring your own snacks if your craving healthy until they update the food of course 🤞🤞😁🛍🙌

I visited here on our way to Las Vegas. The number of shops and discount rate was good. Actually, I got a pant and jacket at 75% off in CK.
The downside is that the area where the restaurant is located is far from the main shopping area.

Great experience at the Outlets. Be sure to stop at the California Visitor Center for freebies, coupons, flyers, maps, and compassionate customer service. All of the stores were clean, organized, and staff was friendly. Good way to walk off that Tommy’s Burger and fries from across the street.

It was Saturday morning. As I was entering Sketcher store a lot of older Korean women. Its hard to try those shoes on when it gets too crowded. As the minutes pass by. I thought I was in Korea. 90 percent of people there was Koreans. Then I saw the 2 buses full of them. I did not find anything because it too crowded and they hang around in the middle of walk way and dont want to move if you say excuse me.
They just play deaf and ignore you. I guess they own the outlet. Coach is my favorite and seem to have a good discount. I like sketcher. Nike and michael kors. But Id rather shop at Outlet at Tejon which close to my place.
Calico is a deserted town situated in the Calico Mountains of San Bernardino County, California. It was established in 1881 as a center of silver mining and rapidly grew into a thriving settlement with hundreds of mines and numerous drinking establishments. Over time, the town lost its importance as mining activities dwindled, eventually leading to its abandonment.

This place has all the fancy stores and the not-so-fancy stores. There are so many options but very few directories. They attempted to make this sign (in picture) a directory but it’s so vague. You’ll end up walking around for hours so prepare yourself. The people in this mall are very uppity. I’m sure that most are tourists or vacationers but a lot of them have a stick up their ends. The Palm Springs Aerial Tramway is a rotating tram car that takes visitors up to the San Jacinto Mountains. It offers an escape from the summer heat, with multiple restaurants and observation decks. Passes are available now, and it is open from mid-March to early November.
It is best to plan your adventure on the tramway a month in advance. Get your tickets online - including a parking pass. We got there at 11 AM and I would not get there earlier because it is much cooler up at elevation than it is down in the valley.
The tramway app boasts of maps and more, but it was no use up on the mountain.
The lift facility is world class. The staff is friendly, helpful and efficient. There is a nice deck with a small hike at the mountain house. There is a reasonable lunch spot in the mountain house.
We did the overlook/notch hike and I definitely suggest that unless you have young children or someone in your crew who has mobility issues.
There is a hike to the peak, but it is a 12 mile loop with a 2,000 foot elevation gain and it was all snowed in over spring break. No thanks.
Overall, this is a great and very distinctive experience that I strongly recommend.

First time here. Amazing views. A great hiking trail at the back end of the top. The temperature difference is a good 40*F between the bottom and the top, so prepare accordingly if you're going to be hiking.
The Ride & Dine pass is definitely worth it. Otherwise, you have different options for food as there are two other restaurants available.
Oh, and bring quarters to use the telescopes! I wish I had known that.

What an incredible experience! Absolutely breathtaking vistas surrounded by the gorgeous scenic mountains. At the peak of the mountain is stunning. I just love the view from way up there. It can get a little busy waiting for the team to take you in either direction, but once you get to the top, there's a beautiful hiking trail to conquer before heading back down. I am looking forward to coming back in the near future, especially in the winter.

Come when it raining/ snowing. It's amazing and fun.
Cost $30.95 per person round trip (no reservation)
Arrived 11 am, there was a line, bought tickets at 12 pm and waited 1.5 hours for the 1:44 pm slot.
There is a little park/dirt area with benches at the back (past the cafe), gift shop, and cafe.
Small nature trail view hike is 0.75 miles round trip.
Opens 10 am
There is three floors when you arrive at the top of tram.
You exit at the bottom floor to get to the hike.
People brought sleds but didn't see anyone using it.
Didn't buy tickets ahead of time, arrived at 11 am , parking lots go from A to J.
Was slotted for parking H.
If you coming in January, bring winter jackets and proper shoes. Shoes will get wet and it's cold.
Family friendly, fun to experience.

One of my favorite places to visit for some snow! Honestly, it’s a bit better than going all the way to Big Bear. It’s just more convenient. I went on March and we got to see lots of snow!!!! It was snowing as well!!! So beautiful. As for tickets, online might say their sold out but if you arrive early when they open which is at 10:00am, they sell some tickets until they sell out so make sure to get there early.

It gets pretty packed in the weekends but a definite must for first time Palm Springs visitors. The views are incredible from the top. Things I wish I had known before going:
There are a few hiking trails up there. Bring appropriate shoes as they are very rocky.
It's a nice place to enjoy a picnic if you bring your own food.
Bring a mask if you're uncomfortable being in very close proximity to people while riding up. Tram cars are standing room only and the next person is less than a foot away.
There is a 20-30 degree difference in temperature, so bring a jacket. It wasn't too bad in late April. I can imagine it's pretty windy and chilly in the winter.
Hope this helps.

Loved the experience! The staff is very friendly, polite and knowledgeable. Would recommend getting there around 7:30-8am if you do not have tickets and need to buy them for the morning. The revolving tram was fun and our little toddler loved it! The view was amazing. We didn't get to venture out into the play area as it was extremely windy for us. We love snow so enjoyed getting to touch it a bit. Will certainly be back in spring to enjoy what else there is to explore.

The Palm Springs Aerial Tramway is a must-visit for anyone who is interested in stunning views, challenging hikes, or simply a unique way to experience the desert. The tram ride is an experience in itself, and the views from the top are simply breathtaking. There are trails for all levels of experience, so you can find something to suit your fitness level. Would love to rate this better. That actual tram experience was great. Fabulous staff member and great musical descent coming back in dark (recommend). We booked the tram and dine evening with our two kids. Had a lovely tram ride up, walk around. The film about the tramway was over 20 years old and really needed updating.
However, the food in the Pines cafe (including in our ticket) would warrant a 1/5. The service similar. Menu sounded nice but in reality had been sat there for a while. My unfussy 7 year old turned his nose up after trying. The corn on the cob has been in liquid for hours and was revolting. The bread was stale. My beef was inedible. The soda drinks tasted like pipe cleaner. The best bit was the basic salad. Really disappointed.
Would not recommend booking the package.

This was our first visit back to the tramway since before the pandemic. We decided to do the ride and dine ticket, which is a great value. The views were fantastic, and we took a short hike in the state park at the top before dinner. Also watched the restored movie of the original tram, The Miracle of Palm Springs. This was our first time taking a return trip at night - we could see the lights of all the desert cities. Overall, it was a great experience.

It was a nice trip. I paid for $15 entrance fee (or parking lot fee) and $31 for the tram ticket.
The best thing of the trip was that I could see Palm Springs city from 8,500 ft above.
The bad thing was that each tram was super crowded. They tried to arrange few dozens of people into a small round tram. Surrounded by tall people prevented short people like me from seeing the landscape outside (even the floor of the tram could rotate 360 degrees).

Awesome experience and a unique aerial view of the Desert from 8,514ft. We got tickets at the station on the day. Plenty of parking at $12 per car. The tram was fun, 10-15 min ride, floor revolves while moving. Little daunting but fun. Lovely cafe, restaurant and bar at the summit but not cheap. Plenty of look out areas and hikes to avail of

This tram is such an awesome experience. My other favorite is at Snowbird in Utah; but that tram does not rotate like this tram. The rotating tram gives you a great view up and down this mountain. Don't worry about the rotating floor. It's slow and smooth. At the top of the tram is the Mountain Station which has food and beverage service; including a bar. There is only one negative about the experience and that's the cost of food and beverages. Just like sporting events and amusement parks, this place charges way too much for food and beverage. A small bottle of water is almost $5 and soda/pop is the same. There's a museum type thing on the lower level and food is on the upper level. If you exit on the back side there are trails to walk and hike. It's $12 to park so be prepared to pay. Other than that folks, enjoy an awesome day and get out of the desert heat 🇺🇸

Highly recommend!! Make sure to buy your tickets online including parking pass and print them-this part saved us a lot of time. We went on a VERY hot day in Palm Springs. The tram ride was crowded, but it rotates so everyone gets a good view at some point. The tram itself is not air conditioned, but the windows open and it moves right along, so you get pretty good airflow - it only took about 10 minutes. We went up at 4:00 and bought the "Ride and Dine" package, which was a great deal. It was at least 35 degrees cooler at the top. Ate dinner early-limited menu but food was fine. Then we looked around the multi-level building with multiple balconies and picked a place to watch the sun go down. We stayed until after sunset and watched the l8ghts of Palm Springs start to twinkle. We rode the tram down about 8:15 and got an even better view of the lights. I really recommend a similar schedule...it was a really magical evening!

This was a great place. We visited on a Thursday, had to wait 2 hours to go on the tram ride. There was a lot we do as we waited for our turn to go on. It's cheaper after 4pm (approx $3 less). Awesome trip on the Aerial Tram from 2,643 feet all the way up to 8,516 feet. The tram ride is a quick 10 minute ride up with trams scheduled every 20 minutes up and down from 10 am until 8 pm. Great way to end the day on top of the mountain with a cold beer in hand!

Very scenic ride. The tram can feel pretty crowded on a busy day. I rode the tram back down when the crowd was a bit smaller (before sunset) and I enjoyed the ride a bit more that way. The hiking trails at the top are beautiful and I enjoyed the hike. My father, son, and I went during the 1st week of April and got there around 11am. The wait was already 2.5 hrs by 11am. Probably best to go earlier.

What a cool experience and a must do if you visit Palm Springs. Make sure you pack accordingly because it is a severely different temperature at the top.
We got to hike though fresh snow which was a magical experience after leaving the desert floor.
Don’t be discouraged if the wait time
Is long. There is a gift shop, food, drinks, and some beautiful spots outside to spend your time while you wait on your boarding group.
We got to there at about 7:40 on a Saturday morning to no car line wait and were able to purchase tickets for the first 8:00 tram up to the top. If you want to avoid crowds I’d suggest the earlier time on the weekends instead of the 10:00 tram during the week. You could also do the after 4pm passes which sounded nice, and look out at the lights of the city as the sun sets.
My husband and I had a great experience and would totally go back for our next visit to Palm Springs.

We didn't get tickets in advance and had to wait approx 2 hours to go up but it was totally worth it! The ride up/down itself is very cool with great views. Then up top there's a beautiful forest! Made me feel like I wasn't even in California. Remember to bring warm clothes though as it's cold up top! We ate at the restaurant (Peaks) for lunch which had a very impressive view and had reasonable lunch prices all things considered.

Fun ride up & back, great views and with rotating cars you get to see from all angles. We had 1pm tickets on a Thursday, slower day so parking and getting around was easy. Bus picks up & returns at parking lot (F at least). The snow fall makes the top a winter haven. We didn’t purchase pictures taken (think $35 for 2 + digital access is package + add ons if you want) Worth the $30/ea + $15 parking to see.

Awesome experience to go 8,000 feet from desert level up into the mountains in a slow spinning tram! There can be a bit of a wait on peak days/times but there are cute little trails behind the tram station, a place to eat, a little waterfall and an aerial tram viewing deck. Up on the mountain side, there is a steep path to go down and explore, if so desired, as well as a visitor center and a restaurant. Definitely an experience I recommend!
The Palm Springs Art Museum is a prestigious heritage-rich museum that features world-renowned artworks from different periods and genres. The permanent collection of the Palm Springs Art Museum is diverse and includes pieces by some of the most famous masters in the history of art.
I went on a Sunday, and they were having an issue with their ticketing system so they let me in for free, a fun surprise, and thank you. Peaceful inside, exhibits on display are timely and interesting. Dwayne Hansen‘s Old Couple on a Bench was particularly well done and disturbing… At least for me. When I walked around the corner I thought this older couple was just tired and sitting, looking forward and disconnected from each other. As I stepped closer I realized that they weren’t real. Hansen captured an older couple so bored and disconnected, seemingly unfulfilled and out of time, out of shape, from what I gather neither having found passion… it made me cry because it captured an incredibly real fear of mine. To get to that stage of my life not having realized dreams or passion with intensity sounds too horrible to bear, and I found that I just couldn’t look at the older couple for the rest of my time in the museum.
I’d like to spend at least one other afternoon at this museum reading through the exhibits again. I was in such a bad place after looking at the older couple that I didn’t appreciate some of the other lighter works.

This museum is a more modern art museum. So don't assume that you'll find any classical pieces. While I am not a big modern art person - this was a fascinating place to visit. On thursdays you can get free tickets from 4-6 pm. Go onto website and order them to simplify your life. They also have 2 sculpture gardens located downstairs. And there are 2 exhibition halls for rotating exhibits. Well worth the trip. And it is located across from the Marilyn Monroe statue

This was a nice way to spend some time looking at some art in downtown Palm Springs. There are three floors of installations, and a theatre in the basement for moving showings they have.
We went on a Thursday evening when they offer free admission. Book those entry tickets in advance!

Came on a weekday before 6pm because it is free! This museum is was extremely awesome! Actually exceeded my expectation and had a nice time walking around the museum and seeing all the pieces. Spent about an hour at this place and was not disappointed at all. They had more things downstairs, but I completely missed it and only realized once we left.

The Palm Springs Art Museum in its Architect and Design Building have a small but beautiful building. The exhibit was worth visiting but the high point is the shop with design items and a specialized bookstore with the best selection I’ve seen of modernism and mid century modern. A must visit!

Great museum with a diverse mix of art and artists. $16 ticket entry for adults is definitely worth it to see some great artists (Bourgeois, Picasso, Calder, Gilliam, Frankenthaller & many more!)

I feel that The Art Museum is truly the heart of Palm Springs. Tucked against those awesome mountains and surrounded by Palm Trees in that absolutely precious little park with a water feature and chairs every where. The ambience is always changing with the Art exibitions just across the street.

Has 3 levels, including a lower level and an outside sculpture garden. Stairs and elevators available. It’s kinda quiet and echo-y and there are some delicate pieces, like the glass sculptures, so probably not the best or most interesting experience for very young children, but I saw a few families while there. There are a few bathrooms available including an all gender restroom on the main floor. A great and contemplative afternoon, especially if you want a softer experience after shopping and walking all day.

The modern art shines at this jewel in the desert. Visitors are "greeted" outside by a several stories tall sculpture of Marilyn Monroe. Inside the collection spans modern, native American, glass, and photography.. There is a cafe with adjoining sculpture garden for outdoor dining. The 1968 Chevy Malibu suspended vertically above the ground is thought provoking.

Well worth the trip!!! I have been a local resident here in the desert since 2001 and have never come to an exhibit at the museum. I happen to see one of the artists speak at an event and it inspired me to take my family to the museum. My kids are between 8 and 13 so going to a museum can be dubious but I was willing to take a chance with the LIGHT and CHANGE exhibit and it paid off. My whole family loved it and we highly recommend it.

This is a fun museum, the exhibits are clever and exciting, not stuffy at all. Summer nights open free after 5 on Tuesdays and Thursdays. They bring out a dj and music pumping. Gift store had amazing ingenious little pieces of art to take home in bags and vases and just gorgeous things.

Really interesting exhibits I loved the diversity of the different pieces and I discovered that my interest is now more in 3D pieces than painting. I would recommend a visit.
Just as an aside, the restaurant was closed which was an inconvenience as I struggle with my mobility and sitting down with a drink would have been great. Also I thought that the gift shop was very overpriced.

Really nice museum. They have some modern and some western pieces. Takes about 1.5- 2 hours to cruise through. Perfect afternoon visit in the heat as they also have amazing airconditioning.

Lovely regional museum with an incredible collection. There was teens singing and a great show by emerging artist Alake Shilling. Great time had by all. Might go back a second day in a row! We love

Very interesting pieces at this museum that I have never seen before. I enjoyed the layout, cleanliness, and beauty of this facility. I don't want to give too much away, but it's definitely worth driving to. You'll discover three floors of beautiful art pieces. Enjoy your time there.

We came to visit the museum during free admission hours so it was very crowded, but I still enjoyed it thoroughly. The museum had beverages including wine and beer, alongside of a small service of snacks available for a fee.
The museum has an exceptional layout making it easy for you to view all of the artwork. Even if the museum is busy. We particularly enjoyed the Picasso exhibit that was here when we were here.
The museum is a very easy short walk from downtown Palm springs where there is a variety of restaurants and activities. And the plaza between the museum and downtown includes a massive sculpture of Marilyn Monroe. That's a great photo opportunity.

Explored the Palm Springs Art Museum recently. Used to think contemporary art wasn't my thing, but some pieces left a lasting impression. While not every exhibit resonated with me, I hope that in this museum, everyone can discover something that speaks to them. 🎨✨

I highly recommend this Art Museum. Thursday nights are free for entry. It was such a nice and expierence. The staff was very helpful and full of knowledge. It was 2 levels not counting the exterior areas. There was music playing outside and drinks/bites to enjoy. There was such a mixture of generas, eras and perceptions of art that challeneged my mind to think outside the box!

I really really enjoyed it here. The Piassco painting is awesome. The 2nd and 3rd levels show various art pictures. A great time to spend a few hours looking the world through others' eyes and art forms.
Villagefest Main Office Palm Springs is a popular weekly event that takes place every Thursday night, where the street is closed to traffic and filled with vendor booths showcasing local businesses. Visitors can enjoy strolling through the traffic-free event, sampling food, exploring art, and enjoying live music. The fair offers a wide variety of authentic handmade arts and crafts for sale. Many visitors highly recommend this lively and enjoyable evening activity in Palm Springs, featuring great food and shopping opportunities for everyone.
I still love it, been here for many years and moved out of state but every time I am around I go to this nice ambience fest. I enjoy the walk, the art, the vendors that sell authentic art, nothing here is fake it is all handmade and artistic and I love that. If you want to have a nice walk and enjoy art as much as I do, go and enjoy the evening every Thursday from 6-10pm.

This place is a RIP off... they charged my kids the same price for 2 different tattoos.. one kid had 2 small turtles and the other had both hands done... they were both bad , quickly done didnt look anything like the pic they showed. wouldn't re-do or give the money back... live the street fair but I will never go back to the henna place and do not recommend anyone to go there unless they have the gentleman do the work.

Awesome street fair in Palm Springs! Every Thursday locals gather to showcase their businesses. Food, art, music, and much more as you walk down the street. Vendors are offering free samples and the food is impressive. We purchased mini donuts which were heavenly. We also got clam chowder that was prefect for the chilly evening! Going back next week to try more foods!

Not the office, Villagefest itself. No longer glamorous, Palm Springs is no longer interesting, mostly just hucksters trying to pawn off clip art as originals for $500-$9000 and other junk sellers. A few bright lights among the (some awful) live musicians: the wonderful sounding Native man playing wood flutes, etc. Buy a CD. How do you find downtown Palm Springs? It's where the Walgreens and Motel 6's get closer together. But seriously, if you're not over 80 you probably don't want to be here (and probably if you're 80+ as well).

The Living Desert Zoo and Gardens is a large zoo located in Palm Desert outside of Los Angeles. It features a variety of animals from around the world, including desert-adapted species. The zoo is accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums, making it one of only a few in the world to receive this honor.
A wonderful visit in March of 2022. I would love to come back to see the lanterns at night! They were still very beautiful and fun in the daylight. The kids all loved them and I think it made it a bit more exciting for them! We went early so all the animals were moving around and eating breakfast. Truly wonderful experience.

Went during the very popular "Glow in the Park" event. They did a great job at having everything setup and managing the crowds. It might be a "zoo" but it has more of an animal sanctuary type feel with lots of large open spaces. Still we were able to see all the wildlife and was much closer to a cheetah and hyena then I'd ever been before. It's not that big and you can easily see everything in a few hours and not feel rushed. They also do a good job of keeping the walkways shaded. Aside from that the staff was friendly, the paths and eating areas were immaculate and very well maintained. Despite it being crowded there were no lines to enter, plenty of parking, and the lines to get food were short as well.
Well worth visiting. Get there when they open to beat the heat and you won't be disappointed.

A fabulous way to spend the day! The giraffes were such a treat to watch. They animal demonstrations were also time well spent to slow down and enjoy what they were sharing. The tortoise and the snakes were a interesting watch! Family great adventure!

I had previously been to the Living Desert many times being desert grown and a desert resident for many years! I have always had an enjoyable time from all of those experiences so I thought it would be nice to treat my toddler and boyfriend to this adventure! We were all so excited to finally get out and do something and this was money and time well spent. For parents: there are restrooms everywhere which helped us because my son is still using pull ups! There are food (dining and snacks) options that are all delicious. There is everything you would need for a day at the zoo available at the stores. Activities are endless. Lots of sites to see. I would recommend going early due to the sun being nice and bright. Lots of sunscreen is required. There are some things I would recommend bringing cash for ease. Feeding the giraffes is a MUST. I would suggest making that your first stop if possible upon entry! Love the staff and everyone is helpful and kind.

Omg! What a fun little zoo! All the animals are warm weather critters, so they were all awake and active.
I fed a giraffe! I also got up close and personal with a wallaby! It was a fun way to spend an afternoon, and the food was pretty good too!

We were very lucky to enjoy a private tour with Dave today. Not only did we get to see every exhibit the zoo includes, we also received detailed information about the animals and environments we were witnessing. Dave was an excellent host, providing us a comfortable, safe, and fun experience. He was very attentive to the children in our group and made sure they got a great view of everything. The giraffe feeding was awesome, and it was a nice benefit to cut the line via the private tour. Overall it was a wonderful way to experience everything this very well managed, clean, well-signed zoo had to offer. Thanks Dave and everyone there!

We went for the Glow in the Dark event. It was impressive before dark and spectacular after dark. Most of the animals were active and close enough in their habitats that they were easy to see. The various lanterns throughout the park were so impressive. Loved that there were interactive areas for kids and adults to enjoy and to have cute photo ops. Hard to pick out a favorite. Plenty of places to pick up a snack to sit and enjoy. Reasonably priced too. I will definitely be back!

The living Desert Zoo and Gardens was a great experience! Especially for the little ones looking at all the different animals from all different areas of the world was awesome!
From Africa, Asian, North and South American!
Garden areas pretty.
They have petting goats which was nice.
I recommend being a wagon or a stroller if you have kids and bring cold drinks.

Great program and layout. Best to come when it’s not as hot as the animals are less active when it is.
Only reason it’s 4 instead of 5 stars is the cost. Gatorade is $7 each. I know it’s a good cause but after the entry fee, it starts to get really expensive…

Nicest zoo I’ve ever visited. All the animals are out. You can feed giraffes which is an awesome activity. The staff are the nicest people ever! So educational. There’s clean bathrooms every turn. Food isn’t too expensive. 10/10 would recommend whether you’re a kid or adult.

A really great Zoo for the kids but my little guy liked the train model set the most. You can get up and close with giraffe feeding but have to pay extra. I'm not sure if we saw everything there as the zoo is now completely paperless--environmentally friendly. There is an app you can download to guide you but we did not do that. Maybe next time... Wish there was a little more staff around to know what was best to see, when feedings occur etc.
Bathroom facilities were pretty frequent which was good too.

Peaceful in the daytime.
The staff and volunteers are extremely nice.
I hope all animals are treated well at all times.
I normally don't go to zoos only sanctuaries.
Shout out to Christina the young lady who works in the refreshment stand that's near the camels and in between the goat petting area. She's very nice and has really great customer service. We tried to tell Chad and David her bosses but we could not find them anywhere at the zoo throughout the time we were there from 1:00 p.m. to closing time. We even came back for the second evening light festival. Give Christina a raise.
Extremely overcrowded in the evening.
They should definitely have a capacity of how many people can come in. Or they should definitely have some kind of structure when people are taking pictures or people are waiting in line to take photos.
It might even be a great idea to implement photographers as well as people being able to take their own pictures.
The lantern festival is very pretty but I would never go again to the Palm springs location because the patrons really don't have any manners, (adults and children). People were just walking through when other people are trying to take pictures, not even saying excuse me which was very rude.
Also for better pictures and lighting it's probably a good idea to put lights on both sides of any area that has a festival lantern because if there's no lighting on the other side all pictures come out really dark. The only thing you can see is the lantern not really the people in the pictures.

Location: Out there, Parking: Okay, Service: tickets(okay), park attendants (good), vending (okay), retail sales (okay), Military discount: yes, Areas where animals lived: some looked great others need to change ( according to a plan areas are being adjusted to better support the animals expected to be done in 2 more phases). Overall: This was a first-time visit and for the outside it does seem to have a good vibe as to decent areas of space.for the animals to roam and not be as caged up as was done in the past. The best example is the Giraffe exhibit. The amount of space is great, and the animals look so comfortable. Where as when you walk over to the Leopard exhibit, it seems cramped and closed in as well as the striped hyena exhibit. Another interesting piece is the huge model train exhibit. This remarkable creation will keep you looking for quite a while as it must be over a quarter acre of model buildings, bridges, and cities along the miles of track. I plan on. going back to see the new changes and updates. Until all the animals are in better accommodations..2.5 Stars...

We had such a great time here. I loved seeing the desert animals and knowing that they are a non-profit. Everything you buy helps them take care of the animals and supports their efforts in increasing their population. If you can, do the rhino experience (about $50 each). You get to learn about rhinos, their plan, and you can touch and feed one of them! (8am daily, I suggest you pay for it in advance) You can also pay to feed the giraffe(s) ($10 per person, 3 pieces of lettuce, worth it for the close up and to help them with their efforts). This was an on-the-spot decision.
Lastly, it will get hot because it's the desert and especially if you're coming in the summer. Be prepared with water, sunblock/screen and whatever else you may need as it takes a bit of time to go around to see all of it.
Luvia Castro — Google review
A well planned animal zoo. Summer is definitely not the best time to go though the zoo has made arrangements to handle hot weather well. Restaurants inside the zoo are well staffed and has a decent menu and of good quality. The fee seems like a premium compared to other zoos but there are carousel and a mini-train area that makes it worth the time and money for kids.
PS: The tour on trolleys is not of the full zoo but only of the inside areas and skips the actual attractions that have to be walked through. So read through info before getting on to the zoo tour trolley which is an extra charge.

We went on weekend of Halloween. The people working and volunteering were sooo kind and helpful. Chris explained to us how to get around the zoo and about the candy stations and activities going on at the zoo. She was great! The zoo was so beautiful, and we got to feed the giraffe. My son loved it. We hope to come back next year on our visit back to Palm desert.

A world- class zoo in a quiet, low-key place. It's small, not too many animals, but those they have are kept in natural, spacious settings, and there are staff available eager to answer any questions. It's the perfect size for young kids to walk around, not overwhelming, not crowded. There is also a huge, outdoor model train exhibit , and a special area for birthday parties and weddings. Don't miss the wallaby exhibit - no cages, so you get a very close-and-personal experience. Love this place.

Just got back from a day at The Living Desert Zoo and Gardens and wow, it was awesome! This place has it all. They've got animalsf, like wild dogs and a striped hyena, which was super cool to see up close. We were there right smack in the middle of the day, and unlike other zoos where you're lucky to spot a sleeping animal or two, here, there were tons of them up and about. Made our visit way more exciting! The place is super kid-friendly too. You're never too far from a snack place or a bathroom, which, trust me, is a lifesaver when you're herding kids around. And it's spotless everywhere you look, which is pretty impressive for a zoo.Oh, and you’ve gotta check out the gift shop before you leave. It’s not your usual zoo gift shop; it’s got something for everyone, no matter your budget.Definitely give this zoo a visit. Just a heads up though—it gets HOT, and there's a lot of wandering under the sun, so come prepared. Getting there early is a good move too, especially if you want to catch the animal feedings and some really interesting talks by the staff. Trust me, it's a day well spent!

My favorite zoo. There are so many aspects of engagement, plus I feel it focuses on the benefit of the animal's living comfort and experience. Miniature train set in the center is huge, the endangered animal Carousel is gorgeous and the natural oasis nature walk is amazing. I love that you can see animal's in their simulated habitat in the best way.

Nice place to spend day-time with family and friends. Perfect gateway from LA and greater LA. Good way to visit a lot of animals that you don't get to see otherwise. Some animals have ample space and you can experience how they might behave in their natural habitat but for some we felt the space is not enough at all and management should do something about it.
Positive- convenient restrooms, drinking water outlets, restaurants , free parking and you can bring own food inside, not much crowded.
Negative - some construction going on, food options not that great but pricey, navigation in the zoo is not perfect and maps are not super easy to understand directions.

Great destination for kids !! They get to see the animals roaming freely in their own area ( similar to their natural habitat), instead of cages.
The zoo wasn't crowded heavily even during holidays. Enough places to sit and relax if you are tired walking. All walkways are stroller friendly.
The giraffe feeding experience closes at 3 PM, so go early if interested.
The miniature rail road model is very beautiful.... Nicely designed and maintained !!

We were so impressed with this zoo. All the exhibits seemed large enough for each animal and comparable to their natural habitats. We were super impressed by the desert animals and the Australian exhibits. We were also thrilled to see North American animals as those were all super beautiful.
They currently have a mom and baby yellow foot wallaby in exhibit. We saw camels, goats, giraffes, rhinos, and even a lizard in the animal hospital getting a wellness check. This is a great place for families and kids. The train area was also unique. They are refurbishing some areas. Worth the trip for sure.

Mother, daughter, Grands and GGs all loved the Glow Park at the Living Desert Zoo. What an exciting adventure for us all. We had never seen anything like this in all our travels and were mesmerized by all the animals, birds and flowers. The sheer size of them was stunning and the light from within made them even more photogenic. The staff was so helpful to me for I couldn't walk the whole park. My grandson rented a scooter so I could enjoy it all.

This was my first visit to this Zoo & I hope that it will not be my last. There is so much to see & do, especially if you have younger kids or grandchildren. They were having Glow Nights during my visit. It would have been cheaper if I would have came back later for glow night, but I didn't. I am sure everything was beautiful, because it looked great during the day. There are several places to rest, eat & relax. I think The Living Zoo is a great experience for children & adults.

I say this place was wonderful. I enjoyed all the exhibits. It was nice to see the animals interact with the keepers. The volunteers were simply lovely to talk to and full of information. Helen and Cindy were the ones we spoke with the most, very nice ladies! I truly will love to return with my grandchildren. The only negative I say is the fact there was NO paper map! I get it, it is the age of technology but trying to bring it up on my phone was too small and annoying to have to use my phone. Plus it used my battery so at the end I almost had a completely dead phone. I would purchase a map for 50 cent or a dollar just to have one!!!
The Cafe at Shields is a charming spot offering Mexican-inspired breakfast and lunch options, with the added bonus of outdoor seating under white umbrellas. Located within the Shields Date Garden, this cafe is part of a 17-acre farm and garden that underwent extensive renovations between 2011 and 2013. Visitors can leisurely explore the picturesque surroundings, which include 23 biblical statues depicting scenes from the life of Jesus Christ.
There is no OBVIOUS entrance to the restaurant, don’t hesitate to ask staff for directions, it is behind the building and there is an arch on the right side too.
The food and service were great! Quiet, peaceful, you can here the fountain… Romantic spot.

We went here as a group of five. We had to wait a bit to be seated (which is understandable as the spot is popular), we took that time to take a walk around the farm and by the time we were done, our table was ready. The dishes are mostly Mexican or Mexican-inspired and everything was flavourful. The entrees came in large portions. If you eat pork, you must try the bacon wrapped dates (oh my, 10/10). I would be remiss if I did not mention how kind, attentive and courteous all the servers are. I can’t wait to come back here :-)

Very kind wait staff. We're greeted at the door immediately and asked to take a seat wherever we liked either outdoor or inside. Was a bit humid outside but they had the misters on even early in the morning which helped when the breeze blew our way. Tables were clean, drinks and further service was prompt. I don't remember the name, but my breakfast chips dish was unexpectedly great. The biscuits and gravy had a very unique sauce as well. The chorizo as a side was a bit different than I normally am used to eating, but being homemade it was good in its own way. Eggs were cooked exactly how we asked them to be as well. The country potatoes were cut in bite sized chunks but not really flavored much. That's the only slight hit for me. Again, the multiple staff who hosted us were very attentive with drink refills and checking up on us throughout, yet not very pushy or annoying even when it came time to pay the bill. The place just looked a bit old and partially under construction which is the only reason for 4 stars.

Early morning breakfast, I came with friends at 8:30am and was only the 2nd people here...by the time I left it was completely full, no tables by 10:30am. They have plenty of parking with overflow parking on the east side of the parking lot under the palm trees. The service and our waiter were amazing, we were served fast, and our server was attentive to our needs, there was 8 of us, so we used 2 tables. Breakfast was good, nothing fancy, just good breakfast. The grounds are beautiful, and the weather was nice for an early morning breakfast with friends...side note....it is Fly season and they were out in abundance trying to catch a bite so be aware of the pesky things.

Scenic 1-mi. hiking loop with huge rock formations to climb & views of Joshua trees & desert areas.
Make this the last spot of the day. As the sun sets, the rock cliffs burn orange fire! With shadows on the other parts, it makes for an amazing experience - not to mention some beautiful pictures. The trail is easy, about a mile. You'll see lots of rock climbers tackling different surfaces, it is fun to live through them. 😉

We’ve been to 4 or 5 hikes in Joshua tree now and happy valley is one of our family favorites. It’s an easy 1 mile loop, although our hike turned into about 1.5 miles due to the amount of climbing we did. This is such a fun hike with so much variety in what you see and can do. There’s limitless possibilities in bouldering.
Our two kids, ages 10 and 12, loved climbing and exploring. We saw families with toddlers who were running and climbing off steam.
Try and get there early as the parking lot tends to fill up by 10. We got there at 10:30 and we’re lucky someone was leaving. The rangers were redirecting people to another lot when we left at 12:30.
There are pit toilets and many picnic tables for lunch at the parking lot. Easy drive in and out as well. Take sunscreen and water and enjoy the peace and calm of Joshua Tree!

All Trails: 1.34miles, 118ft elevation gain, 56 mins.
This is awesome trail! Not too difficult and saw two park volunteers hiking as well and they were very knowledgeable. Lots of prickly pear cacti which I loved! Tons of places to do some boulder climbing or watching the real rock climbers 😅
There is no shade! Bring sunscreen, more water than you think you need (1L/hour/person), and layers.
A bunch of variety of cacti and we found the “throne” of hidden valley 😂
Have lunch at the picnic area after your hike!
This is a very busy attraction! We arrived at 9:50am and got what seemed to be the last parking spot. Left around 12:30pm and there was a ranger at the entrance not allowing people to enter.

I loved this "trail." It really isn't a trail, more of a gentle walk through nature. It is short, well-marked, and doesn't have much in the way of elevation gains/declines. So if you're looking for a true hike, look elsewhere.
That said, this little walk packs a ton of beautiful sights in a really small area. You're sort of in a bowl here, with rocks surrounding you on all sides. Inside the bowl there are really interesting rock formations all around you, and the flora here is very different than you see in most other areas of the park. Apparently this area is a bit of a microclimate due to it's geological features, and there are tons of signs throughout the park explaining the reasons for this. It is an amazing combination of easy walking, beautiful scenery, and signs containing really good information about what you're seeing. The one downside is this was the most crowded area I saw in the park with the exception of Skull Rock, so you will be sharing the trail with hundreds of people. But unlike Skull Rock and some of the other crowded areas of the park, the crowds here didn't really bother me.
This was the highlight of the park for me, without a doubt. Although there are other hiking trails I'd recommend over this one, there is no other attraction in the park I'd recommend more highly.

Easy hike (1 mile loop trail). We went there early ~ before 9am and easily found the parking lot. Would recommend to arrive early to avoid the traffic… saw long line cars waiting to enter the gate on the way back.
This hike is suitable for families, mostly flat, rocks for kids to climb (not dangerous). Be aware of the cold. It was end of Dec when we were here and we wish we would have worn beanie and gloves.

Easy loop with some really great views of the rocks and Joshua Trees. Make sure you wear lots of sunscreen when you're here! One of the first stops on the trip and one of the better ones as well!

$30 to enter Joshua Tree National Park with a car, valid for 7 days. There are bathrooms and porta potties right when you enter the park.
This is an easy trail if you stay on the flat path. My friend, and I ended up climbing over some rocks, and it was fun but quite difficult and not for children (8 out of 10 difficulty at times).

Plenty of toilet paper!!!
We got here early after turning away due to crowds the day before. Nice quick early morning hike with great light and fun views of rock climbers. As with every spot in the park, this gets filled up and parking becomes very difficult. We took the opposite direction on the loop and it was nice having folks pass us in the opposite direction rather than following or being followed.

Hidden Valley trail was recommended to me by a ranger at the Visitors centre. I arrived later in the afternoon and wanted to 'see it all in a short time before the sun went down'. This trail delivered.
The trail is a loop that starts at the carpark and makes it around a relatively easy area within the park. You get the see the best of Joshua Tree national park.
The Joshua trees are very unique and unlike any other trees that I have seen elsewhere. The fact that there are SO many of them and ONLY them is a really cool sight to see.
This track will take you around some very interesting rock structures that are unique to the park. Depending on the time of day, you may see amateur and professional rock climbers taking up the challenge.
The park can get HOT in summer so be sure to take more water than what you think you will need and stick to the track.

One of the easiest trails to do. Lots of Joshua trees to see and good scenic points to take pictures. The trail is big so we went half way through and came back. NOTE: PLEASE CARRY A LOT OF WATER.

I love this area of JT so much parking space, picnic tables, restrooms and a lot to explore around hidden valley. You will even catch a glimpse of some rock climbers in this area.
I Captured Jaime & Yesenia engagements here at the hidden valley trail.

Easy hike with a clear path. Some rock trails but they are well-defined. Lots of nature to see but very little shade. Keep an eye out of lizards, birds, kangaroo rats and ground squirrels. Kinda cool being surrounded in the valley.

You'll be immersed in the tranquility of the hidden valley, shielded from the outside world by towering rock walls.
The unique geological features and the untouched beauty of Hidden Valley make it a captivating experience. Whether you're seeking a peaceful stroll or a place to connect with nature, this trail offers it all. Don't forget your camera, as there are plenty of opportunities to capture memorable moments amidst the breathtaking scenery.

Nice place to hike for 1-2 hours. Thieves used to hide their stolen cows in this valley and got this name. We saw two groups of rock climbers on two sides of the valley. We saw a few big birds and quite a few smaller birds.

Great hike, my wife and i were out there at sun up....as the sun came up the shadows and lite wer neat to see. It was cold when we first got there, but once we got moving we warmed up quite a bit.
Joshua tree is an amazing place and we are already planning on going back

A beautiful trail. We did this 7am in early November. It could not have been more pleasant and wonderful. We took time to walk around. We are not professional hikers by any means. It was the perfect length with one mile loop that is easy to follow.

This trail has a mix of flat terrain to walk and rock steps to traverse, with minor changes in elevation. You can expect to see some wildlife. Mostly birds, lizards, and desert rodents. The blooming cacti were really pretty.

This is definitely one of the best bang for your buck trails at Joshua Tree. I haven't been to them all, but so far If I only had time to do one, this would be it.
Blazing Faith — Google review
A super short and easy 1 mile loop trail. It took me less than an hour to complete with several stops. There aren’t too many Joshua trees on this one but the rock formations and various cacti are cool. A bit chilly in October in the shade. The wind was also blowing hard. A great first introduction trail to Joshua Tree NP.

As you drive up and see a few dozen cars, you think "yeah... Hidden... Riiiggghhhtt" (sarcasm). But then you get it and start going down the paths that break off everywhere, seeing hikers, people rappelling, and kids playing on rocks on to of rocks. Then you climb the rocks and see the amazing view, truly a Hidden Valley. 🤩😍

Cactus-filled area in Joshua Tree National Park that's viewable from a flat loop walking trail.
Definitely worth visiting to see the glowing cholla cactii stretching out for miles around you. It's suggested to visit this garden at sunrise, but the view was just as good at midday when we visited. Be very careful to not get too close - the cactus spines will attach themselves to your clothes at the slightest contact, and will not want to let go - I speak from experience.

So stunning at sunset. Great view for star gazing as well. 🫶🏻 great place to stop by at Joshua tree park

My first time to look at the Cholla Cactus! What an exotic and mystic beauty!!
**Never touch or step on the Cholla!**
It is indescribably hurting!!!!! Watch your step while not on the wooden trail.

One of the most magical places on this planet. You see nature's magnificent work at its best. Hundreds and thousands of cholla cactus standing proudly in the windy air of Joshua Tree National Park.
The best time to visit is during sunset or sunrise when the entire place is cast with the golden light of the desert sun. Now, be careful to keep a safe distance from these 'teddy bear' cacti and don't try to wander off the trail.

If you’re going anywhere in Joshua Tree, make sure you add the Cholla Cactus Garden to your list! We went a little before sunset and it was perfect because you could see the Cholla start to glow more and more as the light dims. Incredible experience and pretty easy to find parking around 5pm.

Went at sunrise and it was totally worth it. Amazing views. The golden fiery look is unlike any other. Worth the morning drive!

I have mixed feelings about the Cholla Cactus Garden. On one hand, the chollas are absolutely stunning and unlike any other cactus I've seen before. But on the other hand, they're incredibly dangerous. One wrong move and you could end up with a painful and difficult-to-remove cactus spines stuck in your skin. I always try to be extra careful when I'm around them, but I still have nightmares about accidentally falling into a chollas.
SIRLUNA (David) — Google review
Really a pretty place to stop in Joshua Tree National Park! The sun hitting the cacti was so pretty and the colors are lovely. They're serious when they say don't touch them though, the spines will really stick you. We loved visiting.

A cute small looped trail, perfect for the family. It does feel far from the other trails and attractions at Joshua Tree.

Good trail to wonder in the desert and admire this amazing plants. It may get bit too hot during summer or during afternoon. I would suggest carrying a small water bottle just in case. Also, please do not touch the plants as thorns are sharp and can hurt.

Beautiful forest of interesting cacti. Short loop through the garden. Good secluded stop towards the southern side of the park.

It was beautiful. Make sure to be before because of parking and because the glowing starts just before the sun touches the cactus. If the sun touches the cactus directly pictures aren’t going to be so good.

Beautiful specially in the evening around sunset. The unique plants in the nature. They have limited parking. Make sure you don’t go off the trail/wooden path. The thorn are dangerous and can give you a lot of trouble. So avoid touching or stepping on them. They penetrate through shoes and clothes as well.

This is my FAVORITE spot in Joshua Tree National Park!!
This 0.2 mile flat loop is gorgeous, fascinating, and mesmerizing garden full of Cholla (Choy-ya). I would go at sunrise or sunset because the Cholla look like they are glowing and it’s so magical!
This is a must stop!!
Parking is minimal. We got there at 7:20am and the parking lot was half full.
Chloe Medina — Google review
Cholla Garden is a mesmerizing enclave that transports you to a different planet, offering an unparalleled experience unlike any other place in California. To catch the breathtaking sunrise, an early start is essential, with a recommendation to arrive at least 30 minutes before the scheduled time.
Spending a minimum of an hour in this enchanting landscape allows you to capture the captivating transformation of colors in the surroundings – before, during, and after the sunrise. Each moment presents a unique palette that makes for stunning photographs.
While navigating through the cactuses, it's crucial to walk with caution. The spikes on these plants are akin to a formidable machine, easily attaching themselves to clothing and causing significant discomfort. Despite this prickly challenge, the awe-inspiring beauty of Cholla Garden makes the experience well worth the early wake-up call and careful exploration.
Ksenia Postolnik — Google review
Amazing place to visit. There's so much cholla that you can just keep walking. Just be careful not to get lost as the parking lot does disappear as you walk further in. There are a bunch of cactus balls on the floor that can cling into you. The wind can blow needles onto you as well. If you stay on the trail provided, you will be okay. If you go off it, just make sure you don't get prick. I didn't see any bees when I was there in late March during the day. There were lizards and birds flying around.
Steven Bui — Google review
This place is amazing. One of the best spots on the Joshua Tree National Park. It’s the first place we went to. It’s a beautiful garden of cactuses. You can walk around and take pictures. Be careful with little kids as there are a lot of fallen cactuses on the ground and you could easily get hurt.
Raghavendra Aditya M — Google review
Gorgeous little cactus garden! Take the quarter mile loop and enjoy seeing sweeping views of the valley. Parking might be tight during busy times of year, but also not very busy closer to sunset (when we went) it’s worth it!

Shopping
Sprawling shopping center featuring brand-name department stores, outlet boutiques & eateries.
Great art to view, had no clue where I was going but enjoyed my lost walk through this place with all the have displayed. Didn’t seem like much shopping options but wondering if it’s a place more to explore randomly. Or just a run down mall made into a art display

Not much in the mall , maybe 6-7 stores still open LEVIS OUTLET has pretty good deal and it is connected to the casino , plenty of truck parking to stretch your legs on your half hour break ,or if you're spending the night casino has buffet ,and a bar with free beer wine and spirits if you're gaming, best truck parking is on the back side of mall/casino/hotel, with security patrol, you may park your truck anywhere on primm property unless it says no truck parking ,in one small area

** Really fun walk if you have time to burn at the supercharger! **
Model example of physical depression. Honestly such a cool space! Walking through was a lot of fun but for very different reasons than the owners would like. This is the legal way to walk through an abandoned building! 😂 the art made it feel doubly so. I counted 7 stores “open”. In quotation because none of them were actually open and a few looked like they haven’t been open in a while. This place is just begging to be a ‘con of some kind. Comic-Con, anime-con I don’t know but something! It would be a great layout and no stores to get in the way. I plan on watching to see when the building is closed for good. Too bad.

I dont know how to rate this place, it used to be so full and vibrant and was an amazing stop on the side of the road.. now it is still and empty. Michael kors and a Thrift shop are still open inside of the mall at this time, but that is it. Bathrooms are still functional, and clean.

I really don't know what store to give this place it was a place I used to go to all the time coming or leaving Las Vegas from LV to CA from CA LV it was the stopping point and now it's mostly empty it's really sad a lot of people have lost their jobs hundreds if not thousands. I miss what it used to be. Hope it comes back alive with more shops.

Uneventful, only about 4 stores still open. Food court is all abandoned. Mural artists have done a great job with the street art on walls. Great way to get your steps in, no customers.

If you are loooking for a 1980 mall experience, do not go. If you are interested in the 3 remaining stores and want a great post-Apololyptic walking experience to get in your steps on rare rainy days, or if you are interested in good artwork, go. It was a nice break from the crowded otherworlds of Vegas. I am posting some photos from the mall, so you can see the artwork.

It's pretty inside. It looks like it was great back in the day, but the only thing left open was an over priced thrift store and the casino. Otherwise, the whole thing is desolate. It's nice to just walk to stretch your legs from driving if you are traveling through, though.
Midnight Siren — Google review
This place has gotten a little disappointed throughout the years. A lot of the shops have gone out of business. But I do hope with everything that's opening we will get some new stores in the near future. But they do have some amazing art street art displayed throughout the mall.

No stores are open anymore other than Michael Kors and Bath&Body Works. There’s another store with lights and clothes inside but the gates were closed. A booth in the middle was still closed. Restrooms are clean though!
All the open stores are close to each other. You don’t have to walk around the mall unless you want to see the art work and/or do some photo shoots.
Ernst Johann — Google review
It's a dead mall. Quite literally. It's eerie walking in there. The music that's playing, as you walk in, echoes because it's so empty.
And the outside looks completely sun baked and not maintained. There's only ONE entrance you can go into.
When you walk in, you almost feel like you're in an apocalyptic movie. Not a single store is open when walking in.
The fountains that once were operational are now dismantled and in pieces.
Thankfully, the store I needed was off to the left in the main corridor.
If I had to guess, there's maybe 4 or 5 stores left open in this enormously empty place.
Why are they keeping this Mall open?
I wish I knew.
Leslie Maiko — Google review
This mall is very empty since covid affected its business. I thought it was cool walking through the mall as it gives off a vibe of being in a deserted city. There are maybe 5 or more retail shops here? I didn't count them. I enjoyed taking photos of this place.
Annette Grimes — Google review
As a mall, this place gets a zero star as it has only two stores left, a Michael Kors and a soap store. This was one of our favorite malls 20+ years ago, so it was kind of sad seeing it in its current condition. I imagine the two remaining stores will be gone when their current leases expire or maybe even sooner. Like others have mentioned, it was cool to walk around this nearly abandoned, but clean, mall. The arts that replaced the closed stores were very interesting. There are no place to eat inside, though there are a few fast food placin the parking lot. As of the Labor day weekend, you still can access the mall from Primm Valley casino, but the escalators were shut down. You can access the mall with a short flight of stairs from the casino. If you want to check out the arts before the mall shuts down permanently, then you will need to visit it soon.

This place is a modern day ghost town. Sad to see especially when you knew what it was like in its glory days. It's been going downhill for awhile but the pandemic effectively killed this place.

They only have 2 Malls but the Micheal Kors Store was really good and cheap too. The interior is pretty empty but very calming at pretty.
The Seven Magic Mountains is a desert art installation showcasing seven painted boulder totems that reach up to 35 feet in height, created by Ugo Rondinone. It provides a unique opportunity to witness the magnificent colored rocks, which cannot be fully appreciated through photos alone. The site includes facilities such as portable toilets and food trucks, and the parking lot is large enough to accommodate a considerable number of visitors. While the parking lot is unpaved, parking is relatively easy.
I have lived in Las Vegas for 27yrs and I've never been here. We decided to go see Seven Magic Mountains on my Birthday. Even though it's just massive painted rocks, it's really cool. You feel so small next to these rocks. The weather was pretty warm, I believe it was in the 90's month of October. There is a little stand, where you can buy drinks possibly food I'm not sure. Quite a bit of visitors, but it wasn't bad at all. Everybody was polite, waiting patiently for others to take their photos so that you could take your photos. I guess you can bring your doggies there, as I seen a few. You have to be able to see this from the Freeway as these rocks are massive. Painted bright, an overall fun place to visit. I would go back again, but just when it's cooler.

This is a great spot to stop by either on the way to Las Vegas or on the way back. The parking area is just an open area with gravel. There are tour buses stopping by, so parking for an RV and towing with a trailer is not an issue. The massive boulders are vibrantly painted which makes it a lot of fun to take photos. There are some details and information about the artists and inspiration of the artwork as you enter.

Seven Magic Mountains is a must-see for anyone visiting Las Vegas. The art installation is located just outside of the city, and it is truly unique and awe-inspiring.
The installation consists of seven towering stacks of colorful boulders, each one over 30 feet tall. The boulders are painted in bright shades of pink, yellow, blue, and green, and they create a striking contrast against the desert landscape.
Visitors can walk around and explore the installation from all angles. It is a great place to take photos and admire the artwork.
Seven Magic Mountains is a free art installation, and it is open to the public 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Here are some additional tips for visiting Seven Magic Mountains:
The best time to visit is early in the morning or late in the afternoon to avoid the heat.
There is no shade at the installation, so be sure to bring sunscreen and a hat.
Wear comfortable shoes, as you will be doing some walking.
There are no restrooms at the installation, so be sure to go before you go.
Be respectful of the artwork and do not climb on the boulders.
Overall, Seven Magic Mountains is a great place to visit for people of all ages. It is a unique and awe-inspiring art installation that is well worth a visit.

Artist Ugo Rondinone, a world-renowned art star who made a splash in the NYC cityscape with Human Nature in 2013, created this Land Art installation aptly titled Seven Magic Mountains; he talks of the holistic properties in the colors and hopes viewers will notice the beauty of the desert juxtaposed by his totems. This piece of Land Art took five years to complete at the cost of $3.5million (not to worry, this was by private donation not tax dollars). On average the boulders weigh 40,000lbs each, the totems are stacked 3-6 boulders high and stand between 30-35 feet tall. Can you imagine the height?!
This was on my bucket list ✔️

It's a nice place for a quick sightseeing trip. It's completely free. All you have to do is follow the rules. Me and my family went there in the evening at dusk. Was not crowded at all. My kids love picking their favorite formation of rocks and taking pictures. They even played where am I by hiding behind the giant structures. It was a fun time!

This place is magical. Granted I came in December and enjoyed the cold over hot. There is access to explore a stretch of desert without being far from civilization. It's open desert and so many areas to take photos. The structures are vibrant colors, and stacked really high, a sight to see. The location is right before you hit Vegas or as you leave, it's approximately 20 minutes to and fro, but freeway access is conveniently located. Driving there is fun, gives the sense your driving in a lonely open desert. There is ample parking although it was packed. There is a vendor selling food, drinks, and has port a potty available. Many many tourists here. Definitely make this a stop when in Vegas, you'll have amazing photos 👋

Beautiful art installation along Las Vegas Blvd.
Free for everyone!
Super crowded but still enjoyable 😉 You have to manage how to take pictures and not having big crowds around you or wait for a window when everyone is leaving. I didn't appreciate that it was a couple with a real snake trying to get $20.00 dollar for pictures. They got upset if you even try to take pictures of the rocks where they place their chairs. They can do their own business but a least let the public to enjoy the view. Plus, I read that the place is copyright for commercial use. So keep that in mind if you are going to use your photography for commercial purposes. Small enjoyable walk for picture of the beautiful mountains and plants.
No restrooms available

Parking lot is available off asfalt. Family friendly. The kids will enjoy the colorful pieces of art.

Definitely worth the short trip
It's about 15 minutes south of the strip.
I arrived around noon on a Sunday, and it was packed. So if you want pics with little to no people, I'd maybe try to get there early.
There was a food truck there when I visited. Not sure if it's there all the time. There are also a few spots not far from it. A truck stop with white castle and other options as well as a place called Pioneer Saloon just a few more minutes away.
The boulders are pretty cool to see in person. I'm glad I took the trip

Cute and different..definitely photo worthy! It’s just a walk up “structure” on the side of the road, but it was pretty packed when we were there. We were on a tour so only spent about 15 minutes there. This is a good amount of time for pics and to not get baked in the heat!

While there are many thousands of reviews of this place already… if you’re looking to check this place out, it’s just fine for a short visit. Other than it being an art project, it’s good to see just about 1 time. It was fun for the drive out and about a good 10 minutes. Beyond that, it’s just a good see it 1 time and that’s good enough. It’s a quick attraction to do while you’re in Las Vegas.

A non-trivial spectacle, an installation of colored stones, outrageously simple but original, I definitely liked it 🗿
If you're passing by, make sure to stop by, it doesn't take long, the entrance is free and there aren't that many people. As I found out, this sculpture was created in 2016 by the world famous Swiss artist Ugo Rondinone, so it's a good option to walk around, learn something new and take great photos🤳

This is easily one of the coolest places in the Vegas area, and it's completely free. If you're a photographer and want a really unique backdrop, this is perfect for that. Since it's just outside the city, it tends to be pretty quiet out here. And yet it's also very easily accessible, right off the highway and actually on Las Vegas Blvd. So if you're on the Strip and just drive south for half an hour, you'll end up here.

Must visit attraction near Las Vegas. Been to Vegas over dozens of times but never took the time to visit this place. Quite unique and amazing to view in person rather than in pictures and videos. Since this is a free attraction, expect to see nonstop visitors. So capturing this in photos or videos will include people in it. These are man-made, basically painted colorful rocks on top of each creating seven separate stacks of rocks.

This is definitely a tourist stop. The parking was Greta and lots of space. There is one gate to get in and a short walk over to the stones from the parking lot. Family friendly. Lots of space to move around. Tons of pictures taken by everyone who visited. I enjoyed my time and the art of the stones. I sleep enjoyed the walk in the desert and all the views that surround the stones. I say put this a must see. Art and nature all in one.
The Don Laughlin Classic Car Museum is a place where car enthusiasts can admire some of the rarest and most distinctive automobiles in the world. From classic cars to trucks and motorcycles, this museum has something for everyone. The small gift shop is also a great place to pick up souvenirs for friends or family.
Very very cool to see.. beautiful cars, a must see if you love classic cars..

Phenomenal cars on display. I fancy myself a car person, but he had cars in there that I have never even heard of. Teared up a little reading the 911 Memorial Car. Fell in love all over again seeing the Corvette's from the 60's. Just so many beautiful American machines. The staff here were so great. They let you know that you are allowed to take plenty of pictures, the answer all questions you have, and we had a lot, lol

Entry was free if you have a players card. Also children under 18 get in for free. Otherwise it was $3.50 for entry. Lots of vert beautiful cars on display, some of which were marked for sale. The lady at the gift shop said that for the right price most of them could be purchased. There was also a lot of vintage memorabilia from trophy truck racing to ww2 items. Very clean with outstanding staff eager to talk to you about these awesome cars. Highly recommend especially if you have or get a players card which is also free.

Beautiful collection of maliciously curated classics. Wonder ful job. Worth the visit. If your a motor head and in the area, take the time and appreciate this fine collection. Takes 30 minutes to an hour depending on how much you read and drool. 😆 A+

If you love classic vehicles be sure to check this out. Interesting facts about each vehicle including when it was restored. Not a huge museum but enough to take up 30 minutes or more.

We had the best time. the hotel sent us 3 days free room , 2 Buffets, 2 Prime Rib Room Dinners. You have to pay 20.00 a day resort fees and they hold 100. 00 deposit you get back after you leave. So worth it. The Prime Rib Room is Awesome Prime Rib was so tender you could cut it with your fork. I had catch of the day fish . Awesome!!! Salad bar and desert bar included.

Truly a 3-star hotel. We stayed in Executive Suite - the most expensive room in this hotel. The room itself is pretty big but that’s the only thing that is good. Everything in the room is very outdated. Air vents are dirty and looks like there is mold on them. Bottom part of the furniture has a thick layer of dust. Every morning we got a back pain from the mattress and rock hard pillows. Couldn’t sleep half of the night. The sound insulation between the room is very poor. Every morning at 6am I could hear our neighbors talk in their room. Room has a balcony that has no chairs to sit on - useless. For 2 people we got 1 small soap bar and 1 small body lotion tube. No shampoo and no toothpaste. That’s in Executive Suite, rates are double compare to a regular room.
I gave it a 3 star and not 1 star because I realize it’s a 3-Star hotel and I can’t expect a 5 star service. But with few minor improvements they can make this hotel so much better.

A car museum like no other. This is the place to be if you enjoy looking at antique cars. The large collection of these vehicles is unbeatable given how rare some of them are. Entrance admission at the museum is free for anyone under the age of 18, and adults (18+) if they have a player's card. Otherwise, it is only three dollars per adult. Reservations are not needed, as staff work very quickly to get people in. The museum is quite large and takes about half an hour to an hour to see all the cars they have on display. Overall, highly recommend visiting.

Love this place. I visit every time I go back to Laughlin and I always try to stay at the Riverside - it’s the OG spot for sure. Sometimes the cars change, but a lot of the old ones are still there. My fav is always the Delorean (pictured), and I think the family of Don Laughlin (RIP) has done a good job keeping this place looking nice. I have so many memories of my parents taking me there in the 1980s. Love this place.

Great place to spend some time and take a few trips down memory lane. Many memorials and shadow boxes celebrating places and organizations from around the world. Kids are free and it's only $3 for adult admission.

There are two separate car exhibits at this casino. May the odds be ever in your favor if you’re meeting up there. Both are 5 star so you won’t be disappointed. The gift shops fun with lots of options. There are lots to look at besides the cars if the cars are not your favorite. It’s definitely a well rounded place. Well organized, clean bathrooms in the gift shop area, quiet area, friendly staff. It’s a nice place for a date or just to get away from the casino crowd for a bit. Reasonable cost, no line, amazing collection!
Located in Laughlin, Nevada, Harrah's Laughlin offers delicious dining options and a wide variety of onsite amenities. The property also features a private beach and a casino. With rooms and suites featuring south-of-the-border decor, the hotel is perfect for any family vacation.
Our second home away from home.
Love this place.
The casino floor layout has changed a bit and the non smoking area has gotten smaller again.
So technically there is no longer a non smoking area with the other half of the old non smoking now a smoking area.
The room was nice and clean.

WOW the staff here makes our stays so pleasant. Dylan at the front desk has such a good attitude & has been super helpful every interaction we have with him. Andrew, Samantha, Anthony, Jeremy, Tammy & Dina at the bars have excellent customer service. They're so friendly & remember our drink order.
The staff at Beach Club & The Range always get our to go orders correct, I suggest the French Dip.
Some of the rooms could us an update but over all the rooms are clean. The gym is decent & the hot tub is open in the winter months. Location is a little removed from the main drag but a walk down the hill are the other casinos. The shuttle also runs to the Tropicana.
Free parking is another perk!!
The sunsets are beautiful, sometimes the mountains to the east turn pink during sunset. Very relaxing watching the birds hunting for fish in the clear blue water of the Colorado River.

You pay what you get for. Great if have a family on a budget. The elevators are horrible, it was take about 30 mins to get to your room from the casino floor. So be prepared especially if you have children. The hotel needs to put a security officer near the elevator. Tired and drunk people don’t mixed. We had to walk 10 floors of stairs to get to our room. Thank God I’m fit!

Okay so room is GREAT for the price but we got lucky there. Waiting for the elevator every night sucked. ****Loved loved loved that there was an adult only pool with bar. Drinks are pricey everywhere. Beach was amazing except 118 dollars a day for palapa and 2 sun lounge chairs. Totally worth it but paying for shade because it's 116 seemed excessive... waitress from beach bar earned her tips. She had a hard job!!! She was nice. Won at slots. Our room ran out of toilet paper. That was weird. Slept great. Beds were nice and black out curtains worked great. They are older rooms but okay for what they are. We enjoyed our time despite the little things.

Not sure why there are so many negative reviews for this resort. We were just there for 4 days and had a great time. We stayed in the South Tower and our room was clean and cool. The staff was attentive the whole weekend. Cocktails were fast, maybe the ones complaining should try tipping occasionally. The adult pool was fine. The kid pool and the beach looked crazy so we didn't go there. The Range was a great experience. A little pricey but worth it.

The rooms are hideous!! 1989 style and shredded drapes! The finish was gone on the coffee tables.... Just take them out along with the drapes!! Very few cocktail waitresses and not many jackpots going on. The best part was the steakhouse. This place is out in the middle of nowhere so be prepared to travel. I'll probably go back but I won't stay the night.

I upgraded to a suite which was spacious and comfortable and had an awesome view of the pool as well as the river. However they hadn't been updated since the 80s? The keys in the tub didn't work and the shower water took about ten minutes to warm up. At one point the water was turned off while my sister was brushing her teeth, with no warning. At least no one was soaped up in the shower! The restaurants were often closed or no one was at the counter. But I did have the best yoghurt parfait ever! The gambling was fun but no winner here! And the drink service was better than other casinos on the strip! The water taxi was only $5.00 and very convenient!

I am glad I booked with Harrah's and didn't listen to reviews. From the moment I checked in until check out I had the best time. I forgot the name of the front desk agent that helped me but she was a ray of sunshine. I got a room in the center tower with the river and pool view. The room was really clean and spotless, it's more than expected for an older hotel. The staff are really great and friendly. You will need reservations for their restaurants, just FYI, better make it ahead of time. Pool was open but it was freezing so I didn't get to utilize that. Overall, awesome experience!

Never had any real issues here except during one stay when a computer glitch put me in a different room but front desk fix it immediately.
Rooms in the North and Central tower are a little dated but comfortable to stay in. I always ask to stay in the south tower when possible cause the rooms are more modern and closer to the action down stairs.
They do have plenty of food options here which I like and I usually go with the Beach cafe as the prices are still reasonable during this weird year and food have always been a hit for me.
The Cocktail Servers are very nice and do bring drinks around in a timely manner. Only had one issue with one server that was standing and talking to another worker while her tray had drinks ready to be served. Beer was already warm when handed to me.
I do have some favorite servers and always try to sit in their section cause they always take care of me without issues.
overall I'll keep coming back and staying here for work cause staff are always friendly and I feel safe during my visits

We stayed a total of 4 nights. It was a sold out weekend so it was very busy. We stayed in the North tower which was awful!! For the entire tower, only 2 elevators were working. We were constantly waiting in long lines to get back into our room and even just to get down to the main floor was a nightmare. On top of that, our room keys “deactivated” 4 times. They said to be sure we weren’t keeping our key next to debit cards or electronics, and they still wouldn’t work.Imagine waiting in a 30 minute line just to get up to your room, only for your key not to work. Very frustrating. The staff were all very nice. I will never stay here again.

We always loved coming to Harrah's in Laughlin, but we hadn't been in several years. This time, we were really disappointed by the lack of amenities and lower quality of service. The valet (which used to be free) is now $10 a night...which isn't awful, compared to Vegas. The trouble was, the valet was marked "full" (when in reality it wasn't full at all, they just didn't have staff for it). I don't like being deceived in this way...I could clearly see that the valet wasn't full. The self parking garage is confusing to get to and isn't connected directly to the casino, meaning you have to walk a long way to get to the hotel. The parking garage elevators were slow or not working, so if we hadn't insisted on them taking our luggage out near the valet, we would have had to wrestle some large and awkward bags down stairs and all that distance. The self check in kiosks were not working, so so much for contact free check in.
The room itself looked very dated, with a giant wardrobe taking up valuable real estate. The air conditioning was cranked down to 60, but it was nearer to 75 and really humid in the room. The ice machine on our floor didn't work, even after reporting it several times to the front desk. Other guests reported the same thing on their floor. The whole hotel looks like it needs a serious makeover and rehab.
They have done away with the magnificent buffet they used to have, and the rest of the restaurant options are really nothing special. Decent food, but the only restaurant open for most of the day is the Cafe, and it's not spectacular. The Range Steakhouse was nice, but not worth the high price (except for the excellent service).
Gaming-wise, they have taken out a LOT of old, fun slot machines in the name of social distancing and replaced them with fewer ginormous, money-grubbing machines that are largely all the same. Very little playback to the customer on these, which doesn't make for a fun day of gaming. Many of the table games were closed during the day, and the ones that were open had too high of a minimum for the middle of the week. They used to have table games in the nonsmoking casino, but those are now gone and replaced with the ridiculous new slot machines, so if you want to play a table game in smoke-free comfort, you're out of luck.
We ended up spending more of our dollars at another casino this trip. I am hoping that when I return that at least some of the room problems will have been addressed (but I am not optimistic).
It's really a shame that this hotel has gone so downhill. Its sister property down the road was somewhat nicer with better service and food.

This is a casino, so it is what it is. They want your money and they will give you free drinks. As long as you were playing.. Booking in was very easy through my charter trip.. It is just that it is in the middle of nowhere and you have to take a ride to get anywhere.. Prices of course are outrageous for pops out of their little shops. They have 2 pools, one is a family pool. The other is the adult pool where they have the drinks. It was nice somewhat small, but if you were there early enough to get a chair, it was better. They provided the pool towels which were very big and thick.

Went to go celebrate 21 year anniversary with my husband. The room was dusty. It smelled musty like and old smell. Stains on carpet, ac didn't work has well. Only 2 elevators worked, the lines to get on elevator was long as if you are purchasing a lotto ticket. The elevator from the parking lot didn't work. Majority of the flooring was in such terrible condition. I'm surprised no one has hurt themselves. The stairs are not leveled. Terrible experience.

The hotel is in a great location and everything around looks beautiful and well kept. However, they need to freshen up their interior designs, it looks a little dated. I have been there several times in previous years, this time I found that they closed off the access to the beach at night time, and that used to be one of the best highlights of that hotel because they have a beautiful beach. It was so nice to sit at the shore of the river to have a drink or share a romantic moment. That was disappointing!
Daisy Hardiman — Google review
The hotel is at the end of the strip and looks great from the outside. 3 towers on the river front. It's not a straight drive to the hotel from the street. You will meander down the driveway. There are two parking garages and a small open lot. The valet was very helpful. I was "upgraded" to the center tower because one tower was closed for the season. The room was very dated. Carpet was dirty. Tub water barely drained. The sheer window curtain was shredded. The soft chair was shiny dirty. That's my best description, but definitely needed to be set out to pasture and burned. Two stars only because the valet was nice and helpful.

Rooms weren't as bright as they were in the pictures on their website. Not as clean as I thought it would have been as we found cigarette butts behind the TV and rappers underneath dressers, clearly visible. The floor was sticky in one area. Gaming was fun and the slots were a give and take. Room service was very very fast and efficient!!! I wish they would have more restaurants to choose from. The convenience store wasn't located at the top of the hill . Very inconvenient. There was an empty space where the convenience store must have been located previously in central tower. Doesn't seem cost-effective.

I will never set foot in a Ceasars property ever again. I was discriminated because I am Mexican American with a platinum rewards card (almost 💎. ) I earned this status in 3 weeks. First and only time I used the card to get a discount on a souvenir cup. Lady at the counter embarrassed me around other people. She accused me of trying to get a $3 discount that I didn't deserve because she said she didn't believe I had that kind of status. I showed her my card and ID. She was very rude and condescending. I walked out of there feeling like I was accused of robbing the place. It's sad that you have people like this working for you. I will spend my money and time at other casinos. Worst experience ever!

Did a bit of slot playing on Christmas Day before and after dinner at the Range Steakhouse. Not a good day for me on the slots watched other people play. Everyone was pleasant and in good moods. The Casino has a non smoking section, thank goodness! Smokers do have rights as well, I just find it hard to breathe in some casinos. The casino is clean and well managed! Masks are worn everywhere by everyone. I am on board with that! Mandated in Nevada. It was a great day.

Great get-away! We took the charter down and had a very enjoyable time. Our room was on 6th floor of the South Tower - The room had chaise lounge, table and chair and a king bed, coffee maker, mini fridge and it looked like it was recently updated, everything we needed. The staff was very friendly and the casino does have a non smoking section. The mattress was very firm but we adjusted. The is a shuttle that takes you to the Tropicana which is walking distance to the other casinos. The only negative was the lack of food choices and shopping. We will definitely go back!

Before I go down the road of why I think this is worthy of only one star, I want to sing praises to the bell staff, the valet team, the cocktail servers, and the front desk team who go above and beyond to make your experience the best it can be. If these teams were in a facility that was, well, something more 21st century, the rating would be significantly higher.
We traveled through this area to stay one night and even that was too much. We booked two rooms and based on the photos of the website, we thought this could be a nice hotel and a fun spot on our road trip but we were quickly disappointed. The first of our two rooms was available at 4pm but the second room wasn’t ready until after 10pm.
Both rooms were in the north tower and they made a motor lodge on the Jersey Turnpike seem better. The carpet and walls look as if they were recently cleaned after a crime and the rooms felt dirty.
No dresser, no fridge, and only one chair made the room uncomfortable and quite awkward… again, nothing like it appears on their website.
For $59 a night, it would be acceptable, but not for over $200 a night.
Other challenges:
- 3 of the 5 elevators were out of service.
- Boat dock was destroyed so no water taxi to other casinos.
Given the amount of disrepair of this resort, it makes one wonder if Caesar himself lost a bet to put their name on.
Again, if this staff was at a better facility, they could put the competition out of business

This is a dump!!! Shame on Harrah’s, this is NOT a resort! Dog fee of 85.00 for a small dog is absurd, when room rate advertised at 30.00. The placed smelled, and everything is old and the stench of cigarettes is nauseating. Forget eating at the cafe. Waiter was rude and unhelpful. The beef dip sandwich was dry and tasteless. Pizza kiosk was closed as well as Starbucks. This place should be leveled. Would not go back if it was free.

Same story as everyone else. Have been here 10 times over the last 25 years and loved it. Checked in early last week for 3 nights. The first room had not been cleaned by housekeeping, the second room had filthy furniture and a broken table, and the third room had furniture missing and smelled like urine. Heard it was taking 40 minutes to get a filthy elevator ride in the north tower. We gave up after that and checked out. Were told we would be refunded within 3-4 days, but after 11, we have not been yet. Too bad, it was always the best place to stay, although we did have a nice place at Aquarius a couple of trips ago. Other than that, most of the places are mediocre at best. We did however, end up at the Golden Nugget this trip for one night, and it was okay. Looking forward to the AI response to this. Bottom line, Laughlin is a beautiful place, but the companies running the hotels are destroying it.

I love Harrah's and have been going there for a very long time. We were there a few weeks ago and I was shocked at how rundown the elevators and rooms have gotten. Our room was in pretty bad shape and we were in the central tower. Next time we go, we will stay in the south tower to get a renovated room. The curtains were torn in our room and the shower faucet was badly corroded. The bed was comfortable though. There were marks all over the walls and it still had that oversized wall unit from nearly 20 years ago. The elevators in the central tower were not in good shape and when you pressed a button, the entire section attached to the wall nearly came open. But like I said, I do love it here. The casino is good and The Beach Cafe is always wonderful. I just wish Caesar's would put some money into this place to return it fully to its former glory. We will be back - we will just try to avoid the dilapidated towers.

Changed 3 rooms checking in. Try not to be in center tower. Rooms are way out dated, stink, dirty, and the bathrooms are a big wow. Being in service industry i would be embarrassed. Male at front desk was amazing. It is a good thing I don't have 3rd degree burns from the shower that can't be controlled. I was on 2 different floors and same story in the entire tower.

So we received a free 4 day trip and as the saying goes "you get what you pay for!" The 29th we checked in and went up to our room in the central tower. Went in and noticed that the mattress looked and felt like it had been there since day one! The black out curtain had what looked like knife slits in it and there were cobwebs in the corners. Overall it just felt dirty. We went back down to the front desk and the lady there was very apologetic and gave us a room in the south tower. Aside from cobwebs on top of a couple lamp shades it was much nicer. Went to get a $4 soda from the vending machine and it ate my money and got nothing in return. Made me want to go down and play there slots!!! LOL Tuesday we rented a car to drive down to Vegas "never been there before" While we were up in our room getting ready and waiting for our rental without warning the fire alarm goes off! "the speaker was in our room" We went downstairs and asked security what was wrong and he told us they were testing the system but didn't know how long it would last. After about an hour it finally stopped. We went back up to our room to get ready for the day and was never so glad to leave! Had a great time in Vegas and got back to our room and to bed around 4am Wednesday. Got woke up around 8:30 Wednesday morning from a text telling us that the water was going to be shut off around 11 for a couple of hours. So much for sleeping in. We took our showers got in our rental and left to go elsewhere. Came back went to bed and got up Thursday morning and decided to pay for another day on the rental. Headed downstairs to get some donuts and coffee. While walking down the hallway talking about what we were going to do for the day and looking around except at the ground, my fiancee tripped and fell over a hose coming in from outside into Smash Burgers! NICE!! "The only thing hurt was her pride" The truck said septic service on the side so who knows?? We spent the remainder of our last short day patronizing the other casinos because we knew we had to get up at 3am to make sure we would be able to use the bathroom before leaving for our flight. The only positive thing to say is the staff at the hotel were very polite as were the employees for Sun Country!!! Thank you for the computer generated response! Considering that everything I stated could be verified, we expected a little more then your generic response considering what we went through!!

We have stayed here many times in years past.
But, haven't been here in about 15 years. I know Covid disrupted the hospitality business. But, this place has really gone down hill. Supposedly, we were in a renovated room...It was disgusting!
Bathroom floor was tiled with wall tiles! Extremely dangerous and extremely unsafe when wet(the person that did this was an idiot). The corners of the bed were torn up by a dog/housekeeping. The HVAC was loud, didn't appear to have a filter in place and looked alive with all the grey fuzzies on it. Looking out our window there were parts of the building/walls that had eroded away. Roof tiles were sliding off the roof. I'm just getting started here!!
Elevators in the garage and hotel are disgusting and show a lack of preventative maintenance and care.
I could go on and on! Some employees/workers appeared and acted overwhelmed/overworked.
I will never again book a room/multiple rooms at this place again.
Most importantly though, the bathroom is UNSAFE with the type of tile used on the floor.

Harrah's Laughlin seems to have lost some of its beauty inside over the last few years. Table games cost more than other places to play and they got rid of the non smoking table games all together. Lots of slots if that's your thing. I do like the Beach Cafe inside and the view from the outside patio. They have the only access to a beach (if you're staying here) and they keep the area clean. Water taxi will get you to other casinos. Rooms are okay. Arcade for kids (why would you bring them though?). Some snacky food places as well as a Guy Fiery's (sp?) place. It's only okay.

In room. There was No drinking water, microwave or safe in room. The vending machine has bottled water for $4! Needs renovation. The bed was super comfy with four pillows your choice of down or foam. Great river views. Not part of Riverwalk. Great value at 59$ a night mid week, with a 20$ resort fee. You have to drive or shuttle to the other casinos. I prefer something centrally located. But for $79 per night, it was worth it to me.

Nice enough little casino in a place that’s warmer than the Midwest. The gaming floor has limited table games. But, they have a fairly large slot section.
Rooms are pretty nice. The shower however is a really stupid design. It’s pretty much guaranteed to get waterall over the bathroom floor.
Mattress is comfortable. Good pillows also.
Above average gym facility for a hotel. Dumbbells up through 75lbs.

We got in very late and even though we said non-smoking room, our first room was smoking in the South tower. We went back to the front desk and got a non-smoking room in the North tower. The room was ok, but the shower wall was peeling.

Used our Caesar's rewards for the trip. Rooms were okay showing signs of their age. The casino had a nice variety of games. Also had a non smoking area. River taxis were not in operation because the river was too low.
Step into the Oatman Hotel Restaurant & Bar, a historic Old West venue that has been transformed into an ice cream shop and American eatery. This establishment is located in a building with a rich history, rumored to be haunted, and was originally built in 1902 as the Durlin Hotel. After being rebuilt following a fire in 1924, it was renamed the Oatman Hotel in the 1960s.
Great day trip for the family. The drive in is beautiful and littered with donkeys along the road so drive slowly. The town is welcoming and playing with the donkeys was so much fun. The locals were very friendly and willing to share all kind of info about the town and wildlife. Oh yeah.. the food was wonderful and plentiful!

A fun place to visit and have a meal. The menu is basic having mostly burger and fries type of food. They do offer a few salads for the health conscious. What is intriguing is the massive amount of dollar bills attached everywhere possible!

The truth is that the Restaurant employees were extremely courteous. The concern is more about the clientele behavior. It's clear that some of your customers still instill poor interaction behavior with a variety of different cultures. As a owner of my own restaurant i have found that this can usually cause customers to stop returning.Again the service by all the employees was great. I believe that promoting better respect among all customers should be a big focus. By providing more server's helps to meditate the time frame of customers to customers interaction.

We visited Oatman and hopped into the Oatman Hotel & Restaurant for lunch. Great service in a quirky place full of $1 bills. The waitress said they are estimating it to be more than $400,000 stapled to the wall. There is some great history behind why these bills are there (ask someone working there and they will explain why).
I had the Road Runner Chicken Sandwich and my husband had the Pulled Pork. Mine was okay. My hubby looooooved his!
Priced as expected as it is the only restaurant in town.

This place was awesome! The town was created in 1915 as an old mining town and you can see that in how the town looked. There's a lot of tourist stuff there too unfortunately we didn't get to see everything and plan to come back again, also not only that but they had a western show in the middle of the day for everyone to see as well. There's donkeys as you walk around and in the middle of the street as you're driving there so please be careful besides that the whole thing was just a great experience.

Super cool! Full of dollar bills on the walls and ceiling! They are everywhere. Don’t miss the upstairs. Lots of gifts and souvenir items and history posted to read. Seeing the old hotel room is interesting too. Staff member was super kind too. We did not eat here but have heard the food is wonderful.

Oatman is a small tourist trap with a twist, they have wild donkeys. They made the visit worth while. The Hotel is nothing special except for Clark Gable staying there a long time ago. The bar has thousands of dollar bills stapled everywhere. I will say Heidi made me her one of a kind ice coffee, great job Heidi. Without the donkeys or Heidi's coffee, I'm not very interested.

Fun restaurant in kitschy Oatman. Being the only restaurant in town, I did not expect it to be good; but it does seem like this is the beating heart of the town! Nice atmosphere, live music, a lot of people, and the burgers tasted really nice!

Some of the most unusual wallpaper I’ve ever seen. Oatman Hotel Restaurant and Saloon is nestle in a quiet old gold and silver mining town. Right out of the old western movies that my Ma and Pa used to watch. A menu with many items to choose from including good old biscuits and gravy which I had ordered. Some of the best gravy I’ve ever tasted. Glancing over at other tables, where people were eating, the other items look delicious also. The locals which not only include those who live there, there are several boroughs wondering around the streets. Friendly and very hungry. If you like stepping back into history and love delicious tasting food, then give the town of Oatman, Arizona a visit and don’t pass up the Oatman Hotel Restaurant & Saloon.

If you're interested in checking out an early 1900s mining town? This is the place to go. It has interesting shopping and good food. On weekends, there are staged gun fights.

This was a cool place to check out while doing the Route 66 road trip.
I didn't eat there so I can't comment on the food or service.
We were allowed to walk around and take pictures. It was AWESOME!
There are over 400,000 $1.00 bills that are literally hanging everywhere a space could/can be found. And the Burros roaming freely about town and along the sidewalks of the shops are funny too.
My sister & I had one that came from behind us and just walked right between us as we were walking down the sidewalk window shopping.

I had the buffalo burger with burro ears and enjoyed all of it. My daughter ordered the tuna melt with fries and that was yummy as well. The whole decor of the restaurant is very unique and I dig the vibe. Service was excellent and all the staff were extremely friendly and talkative. Really happy we happened to randomly walk into the place.

Not very far from Las Vegas, in the town called Oatman is the 'Oatman Hotel Restaurant & Bar' which has US Dollars stuck all over it. The site is very unusual since this is not merely a decoration theme but real currency notes, also called a 'Bill' in the US. I found this to be a cool place to check out while doing the Route 66 road trip in June 2023. These dollar bills were originally left there for the miners to buy food since they would go into the mines and come out after several weeks. These bills left for them by passersby would ensure they were not starved. The tradition continues to date, except people also write their names on the dollar bill. There is also a gift shop and museum attached to the restaurant, but they were closed when I visited.

Wonderfully charming place to eat with home cooked food and huge portions. You won't go hungry or thirsty here. With over $300,000 dollars worth of dollar bills stuck to the walls and ceiling, this eatery does not lack any conversation. On occasion you will also get to see Big Mike come in from his wrangling and robbing in the streets (all for show). They make their own potato chips which are amazing when they cover them in cheese and garlic!! We've eaten here many times and everything has always been great. Still the pulled pork is simply the best when you pair it with the homemade chips and a bottle of Route 66 Root Beer. The Root Beer isn't on the menu, so you have to ask for it. Christa will help you out, she is a wonderful advocate of Oatman and is charming and gave us great advice on future stays. She didn't steer us wrong on our food either. Over all this place has so much character it's worth it to come in and have a drink or a samwhich to just take a look around and here some stories about how the dollar bills were left for the miners. You will probably see the burros out front as well because the smell of the food drew us in as well!!

It is a bar and a restaurant. It is not possible to stay overnight here. The ambience is funny, with hundreds of dollar bills replacing the paper on the walls. It was also suitably decorated for Halloween. The food was average but honest. The service was okay. We had sadwiches and soda. The place itself puts on a western show at noon-1pm. The restaurant was part of the holdup. That was funny.
The famous London Bridge, which was rebuilt after being transported from London in the 1970s, is a major attraction in Lake Havasu. Visitors can take a walking tour to explore the bridge and its surroundings. The area around the bridge offers many options for dining, shopping and entertainment. One of the popular activities is riding on the casino boat across the lake for a nominal fee of $2 where one can enjoy scenic views of city lights reflecting off water at night.
Pretty awesome! Glad I made the trip. Looks like a great place to party with friends or a fun day with the family on the water. There's a little bit of everything no matter what the occasion maybe. So many food options, friendly people and countless fun things to do.

I absolutely love the structure of this. History saved and new history created. The details on the lamp posts are amazing. Great view from all sides on top and underneath.
There's plenty of shops, restaurants, restrooms, parking, activities, and history to learn. The culture and atmosphere just pulls you in.

My kid asked to go here for his 16th birthday. I wasn't thrilled, but it was his request, so that was what we were going to do. I had surprisingly a fun time. It's a cool thing to see but nothing to write home about. I liked the historical things discussing the bridge in that city but wished they added more about its history in London. That was the bridge they used to put heads on. It had 2 former queens decorating it. Shout out to King Henry for the murders!
The surrounding city was friendly, and the scenery was very pretty. I would see it again.

You can take a nice walk along the bridge. The English village, the restaurants and small stores were especially great. You can also hire boats here and water sports enthusiasts will find plenty to do. Don't forget to take the ferry, roundtrip 4 dollars for 1 hour, kids 2 years and younger are free. Nearby there are some great parks and a museum. The place is ideal for a short trip.

Very cute little "village" where you can eat, shop, or just walk around and enjoy. There's restaurants to eat, stands to buy quick bites, a park to walk along the river, lighthouse replicas to see, and of course boat rides. The kids enjoyed themselves (I have teens and little ones) It was a lot of walking but very beautiful views and picture opportunities.
After walking around and exploring, we ate at "The Chair and decided to call it a day. We were there a total of 4 hours (including lunch). We went during winter, Dec 28. I think it looks even prettier during Spring or Fall. We'll be back one day 😊

Great shops and great places to eat....
However, while my mobility is currently limited due to surgically reconstructed foot.
The primary drawback is that there is only one way to access these great shops if you are in a wheelchair or other adaptive device or mode of ambulation (knee scooter, crutches).... There is only one ADA approved entry to this area. The surface is relatively unlevel and has many steep inclines.
A few of the shops also lack ADA approved access points either for entry or internal travel.

The bridge itself is nice, and there are many businesses around it. Restaurants, gift shops (pricey), boat rentals... you name it & it's probably there. Had a lovely time there with friends. And the ferry lands there for easy access from/to the casino across the lake.

In the 45 years we've lived in AZ, we had never visited this attraction. 🤔 We were very to surprised to see how nice it was. It starts with a very nice gift shop with some historical displays. As you walk down to the bridge, you'll see shops and places to eat. There is a lovely paved walk along the river which leads to a wonderful little city park.
The channel that they dug to make the bridge go over water (only bridge built over dry land and then flooded to make it that way). The resulting island has an interesting drive around it where you can see about 15 models of famous lighthouses.
The biggest surprise was that it didn't cost a dime to use the gift shop or see the bridge or walk. It was all very nice and would recommend seeing it if you haven't been.

Lake Havasu is always fun and the London Bridge is pretty cool. There are places to eat, drink, and shop. For $2 you can ride the casino boat across the lake to the casino and back. Great way to get a tour of the lake and at night you get to see all the lights of the city reflecting of the water. Very beautiful. Highly recommend the Starship tour that takes you on the lake and up the Colorado River.

Most people confuse London Bridge in Arizona with the iconic London Bridge in the United Kingdom. The one in Arizona was purchased in London in the 1960s, dismantled and reassembled on Lake Havasu. It's a beautiful place with great views, especially during sunset, and a popular spot for tourists and photographers. The bridge itself is surrounded by shops, restaurants and recreational facilities, making it a picturesque place worth visiting. Very good restaurant right next to the bridge, we will definitely come back here!!

They removed all the love locks unfortunately.
London bridge was originally built in the 1830’s, and bought by Robert McCullough for $2,460,000 in 1968 and moved to the new town Lake Havasu to bring in tourists. This was an amazing feat and one of the most memorable investments for a town ever made. Now the new local government wants to change that and make it a ghost town. Very sad to see the new changes to all of havasu.

The Arizona Route 66 Museum, located in the former Kingman Powerhouse museum and visitor center complex, offers a fascinating journey through the history of the iconic highway. Visitors can explore exhibits featuring vintage cars, dioramas, and a movie that narrates the story of Route 66 from its origins as an indigenous trade route to its heyday as a symbol of Main Street America in the 1950s.
Make sure to take cash when visiting the museum section. We were fortunate enough to have had a host let us be his guest. The museum is informative, interesting and shows some great history of the area, route 66 and the time.
Great little gift shops. If you collect stretch pennies they have the penny holder and a penny holder journal.
If your traveling for the route 66 experience get your stamp and passport ($10 approx) to add a fun little treasure to your trip.

$10 for adult to enter, it’s worth the drive to here because interesting historical information about Route 66 and the cars.
Veronica — Google review
Great little museum packed with interesting history about famed Route 66. Housed inside a historic power station building from the early 1900s, it's on the second floor above the local visitor center. Admission is cheap at 10 bucks and that also gets you entry into two other local attractions – the Mohave Museum that features the regional history and environment, and the historic Bonelli House, also from the early 1900s.
The Route 66 Museum itself has plenty of information about the legendary road including stories of the early explorers and settlers that initially passed through the region. There are fascinating displays talking about and recreating the wagons and “Prairie Schooners” used in those days, then more exhibits about the early days of automobile travel on dirt roads before Route 66 actually came to be. Of course it then goes on to the heyday of Route 66 with some recreations of vintage storefronts and finally the decline of the “Mother Road” as the highway system takes hold. That decline is highlighted by a documentary that plays in the mini-theater downstairs on the way to the Electric Vehicle Museum.
The EV Museum is part of the standard admission fee and was an interesting bonus – it was actually the main reason I wanted to check out this place having recently bought an electric car myself. The museum consists of one large hall containing a variety of electric vehicles ranging from neighborhood electric vehicles (NEVs) - good only for short urban hops - to fully road-legal EVs like a Tesla Roadster and converted Porsche 911, to one-off race vehicles. It's not a comprehensive overview of EV history by any means but fascinating nonetheless and well worth the low price of admission. The local Tesla Supercharger station happens to be located beside the museum building and there's a free level 2 charger for non-Tesla EV drivers too on the opposite side, just in case you drove here in an electric vehicle yourself.
The visitor center has a great gift shop for Arizona souvenirs and beside it there's another gift shop specifically for the Historic Route 66 Association of Arizona with plenty of merchandise to choose from.
Outside in the parking lot is a great photo opportunity with a large Route 66 sign you can drive your car or motorcycle through.
All in all, a wonderful little stop for any road trip through Kingman, especially for anyone interested in the old Route 66.

Amazing views of such a majestic place. Ride the red shuttle all the way hermits rest. Every picture is a good one with the canyons in the back. Continue down for the long hike to the Colorado river , or just stop for a Picnic packed lunch . A few tables offer a a great place to eat and get photos. The red shuttle runs every 10 minutes however the mask rule is still ridiculous. Lots of squirrels and birds make it like a scene from Bambi . Do not feed! If you’re in Vegas and you want to make a day trip to the Grand Canyon this is perfect. It took us about two hours to drive there and the cost for the skywalk and the general admission was about $60. That might seem a bit steep but I can tell you that I felt it was worth it. Though I was scared to death to walk around the skywalk I was blown away by the incredible views of the Grand Canyon. I would suggest this place as a day trip for anybody that doesn’t have time to make the 4 Hour Dr. to the actual park.
Grand Canyon West Skywalk is a horseshoe-shaped glass bridge that extends 70 feet from the canyon rim, offering visitors the thrilling experience of walking 4,000 feet above the canyon floor. Managed by the Hualapai Tribe, this attraction is just one part of a tour that includes other unique canyon views and points of interest. While some visitors choose to skip the Skywalk due to long lines and high prices, many find that Guano Point offers breathtaking views and an unforgettable experience.
Best part of the whole experience is the part that is advertised the least - Guano Point. The views are absolutely amazing. We chose to skip the skywalk to save time and money. The line to get on it was very long and we didn't want to wait. But Guano Point made up for all of it. The meal at Guano Point left a lot to be desired. Was very little food and not that great. But you don't go here for the food. They should really lower the price on it though since you don't exactly get what you pay for. But Guano Point was amazing and could stay there all day long. That's why this gets 5 Stars in spite of the other notes. The workers are amazing people by the way!! Top notch service!

This was such a unique experience! Definitely more things to do than the south and north rim. It was pretty awesome having the native Americans singing as people explored the area. Do be aware that you cannot bring animals here but there is a location not far from the Grand Canyon where you can board them

This was insane. Well worth the money and wait. Beautiful views and a unique experience. Do not do this if you're afraid of heights. If you have good enough eyes you might be able to see animals below. You have to wear booties to walk around so you don't scratch or mess up the glass view. Make sure you wear clothing to protect from the sun. There's some cover but not a ton.

The view was the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen in my life! But be careful, it’s very expensive. The Skywalk is not worth it AT ALL! It’s a scam! You pay 30$ extra (besides the 60$ from general admission) and you cannot bring phones, water, nothing. Then they have loads of photographers that take 4 pictures and charge you 25$ for each photos AND they don’t even print it, just send it to your email. Ridiculous!
So, I would recommend to just pay general admission (60$) - the views are AMAZING.
Would also recommend to bring food

What an amazing place. This part of the Grand Canyon is run and owned by native people of the land. To actually see the Grand Canyon, in all its glory up close with no guard rails was amazing. And to learn about the native people of the land was also an amazing experience. Staff running the facility were extremely friendly and informative. I would recommend going to this part of the Grand Canyon rather than the government run area.

I have been here three times already. The first time was when they first opened, and the road was still a dirt road. The following two times came with friends. The views are spectacular. However, this place has enormous crowds of visitors all three times. The last time was the worst. It took me more than two hours to get on the glass bridge. The last hour was inside a very narrow hallway inside the building with no very good ventilation. I think I would not want to be on the glass bridge next time again!

Had an amazing time as usual. I took my sister and cousins and best friend. They all had a blast as well. The employees are nothing short of amazing cannot wait to go back again. I do recommend renting a vehicle in Vegas rather than taking one of those tours. That way you can stop and see different sites along the way. Stop at some of the stores on the tribal lands. Just really get to talk to the people and see their culture.

Beautiful and breathtaking. Every angle has a different perspective of the Canyon and its beauty.
You're not able to take anything on the skywalk, but they give you free lockers to store your items.
You can play $25 for one of the associates to take one photo...Or you can pay $65 and the photographer will take up to 20 photos. All will be available at the end.
They do make you put on special booties to not scratch the glass flooring.
We were only able to get photos by going up to the restaurant taking photos through the window.

This was on my bucket list to complete and was definitely worth a stop! The bridge itself is a feat of MODERN engineering. It’s awesome to go out. It feels completely safe and the staff is very courteous. You will not be allowed to take any personal items, including your cell phones out onto the bridge, but you can purchase professional photographs, which I thought was very awesome. The lines going to be a little bit long, so be prepared to wait about an hour on the weekend. There’s lots of information about the Grand Canyon. Super awesome.

Stunning views. Unfortunately, meal options were very limited during our visit. Disappointing that we could take no pictures of our own while at Skywalk, but I understand not wanting to deal with tourists that drop their phone/ camera, etc., and expect reimbursement. The pictures they take sound expensive but they are digital and include some beautiful scenery shots as well. We'll worth the money.
There's some beautiful shots that you are free to take on your own at the second stop and a nice little hike to the top of a rock bluff, boasting incredible views!

This was a very cool experience, for sure. The walkway is 4000 feet above the highest point. The view is absolutely breathtaking! The staff is very helpful and there to take pictures for you. This is on an actual indian reservation. You are not allowed to take bags, phones, or your own cameras on the bridge per their rules. We got the picture package, and it is well worth it. We traveled to this location via Sweet Tours bus company that was absolutely perfect. A+++

The scenery itself is exceptionally beautiful, with the distinctive ravines of the Grand Canyon and the impressive faults of the mountains.
However, the Skywalk is not worth purchasing tickets for; the glass bridge is actually small, not like the showing on the commercial ad, and the glass is dirty with many scratches, making it difficult to see the deep ravines below.
Additionally, not allowed bring any phone to bridge, have to leave all bags items in the locker, you have to purchase pictures taken by staff for $25 each, which are of low quality and only can be downloaded and printed by yourself.
It is not worthwhile to spend extra for this experience.
Furthermore, during winter, the mountain peaks experience strong winds and low temperatures, so dressing warmly. I noticed families wearing short sleeves and shorts in such conditions.

I have been to The Grand Canyon a few times but my kids hadn’t and we were in Vegas so decided to detour and take them. I understand the money goes to a good cause, but it’s absolutely ridiculous it’s $56 a person to view the canyon! You can go to the Grand Canyon NP and pay $30 a car for a week to explore and hike the canyon. We spent $220 for 2 adults and 2 kids. You take a shuttle to two spots. There are no trails to hike and you’re only viewing the canyon. So $220 to see a canyon blows my mind! You have to pay extra to do the skywalk. I’ve done that before and not worth the hype nor the money. The crowds were insane and you couldn’t even get in to eat at the restaurant which was disappointing. Very disappointed in this tourist trap.

Amazing experience walking over Grand Canyon with a clear view down! The informative displays on your way to the skywalk is a plus. The photographer was great working with us from different angles. Highly recommended!

Decided to take a day trip and picked Grand Canyon west. Just 2 hours from Vegas it's an easy straight forward drive. Arrived mid day and plenty of parking was available. We weren't really sure what to expect and really didn't do much research I figured you could just park and walk around and see the sights and leave. Just be warned you have to park , go in and get tickets to either just go in under general admission or pay extra to go out on the glass walkway. General admission was 60 and change and I believe the walkway admission was 80 each person. You then go in and take a bus to each stop. The first stop was the walkway which had a decent view of the canyon. We waited for another shuttle , they came every 8 mins or so. The next stop had much better views and you could actually see the river. Over all it was a nice day trip and something to do. If you're in Vegas and don't want to drive 5 hrs to Grand canyon national Park then this is a good replacement. Not sure if it's worth the drive and 134 bucks to see the canyon but now you know the ins and outs and can decide on your own.

Amazing views. They do nickel and dime for your experience and to get photos but what a gorgeous spot. Highly recommend if in the area or if near Vegas and want to see the Grand Canyon and all the hype.

The place is amazing. You can spend the whole day there. The staff was so proud of their land and knowledgeable. Don’t forget to try the Pinion beef stew.

We didn't do the Skywalk, first of all because it's overpriced, secondly, you cannot bring your camera or phone to take pictures. And then you're being offered photos that are probably not even good enough at a too high price.
The scenery is beautiful, well worth the visit. Just take your time to enjoy it.
Jan Klijn — Google review
Absolutely amazing view. Not for those who are afraid of heights. The view was amazing. But I do recommend going to their second site where you can overlook the canyon. While the skywalk was amazingly cool. The better sight to see is the other location.
Shawn Baumgarner — Google review
This place is unbelievable. There are plenty of places to eat. Get your tickets online on their app. It was cheaper for me and easier when you arrived there. Keep a hold of your kids. There isn't borders to stop you from slipping off into the canyon. Common sense. The sky bridge, you can't take nothing with you. If you want pics they take them and sell them to you. It was a full day affair for us. We had to take buses to each section. Worth the money.

NOT FOR PEOPLE WHO HAVE A FEAR OF HEIGHTS! Amazing design. Place a glass floor, horseshoe shaped walking ramp 1000 feet above the floor of the canyon. Leave all personal affects as they are not allowed on the Skywalk. Put on booties and experience a walk on the high side! Have your photo taken, or simply marvel at the sheer beauty of God's creation.
Michael Ellison — Google review
This is such an insane experience. You will have to put all your personal belongings in a locker provided by the canyon and use the required booties for your feet. If you want pictures, they have photographers and you will have to pay. The skywalk is unlike anything else I've ever experienced. Truly beautiful and unique.
Sabrina Wieczorek — Google review
It was cool but it was just so expensive for not really enough to do in the time spent. There is so much to do at the Grand Canyon for less and you can spend more time there. We were worried we wouldn’t have enough time here but we ended up leaving much earlier than expected because there was so little to do.
Kaylea Campbell — Google review
The view is great. They do not allow personal cameras or picture taking. If you want pictures, you have to buy their $55 package.
Runnsun — Google review
It's a great view, don't get me wrong, but it was a bit anti-climatic really. It's not as large as it looks and you can't take your phone or camera out with you, so you are beholden to the owners for pictures ($25 for one, $50 for 7). I found Guano Point to be the true highlight of the area. If on a budget, skip this and go straight to Guano Point.
Derek — Google review
We had a blast! It was pretty cool to walk out on that ledge! The views from the Grand Canyon were unreal! Do the whole tour their not just the skywalk!
Jilliane Banks — Google review
Great visit.
You think you can estimate how big and wide the Canyon will be but, until you see it, we'll what else can you say.
A must do for all which will not disappoint.
Watch your kids as it is a straight drop 4000 ft.
Enjoy the views, take time, sit down breathe.
Hackberry General Store
Route 66 Hackberry, Arizona
June 25, 2023
On this road trip, we stopped at one of our favorite places to visit. We always stop here to take photos and get some rest. Of course we always buy souvenirs when we visit. We have been visiting the general store for a while. In fact, I remember the corvette that used to be parked in front of the store. The day we visited Ruben H. Rodarte, the owner of Valentine Station , was working. It's always great to see and speak with him. He is just a great guy. He told us that the store has been very busy, especially from foreign tourists. Of course, I also wanted to see Charlie the cat. He was asleep on the couch, so I just left him alone. It eventually slowed down, and I was able to take some photos of the General Stores.
This is such a unique stop on Route 66 Arizona. It's great to browse through the store. They sell great souvenirs, and we just bought their new color changing coffee cups. The staff members are all great and fun to speak with.

One of our favorite stops along Route 66. Ruben is so cool and fun to talk with--he had plenty of great advice for us! The shop is a great mix of memorabilia and very interesting Route 66 souvenirs. The men's rest room alone is worth a stop. Please buy something when you stop to help Ruben keep this going!

Cute stop on Route 66! The shop was closed when we arrived but it was still nice to walk around and chat with other travelers driving on the historic route. The highlight of this stop was undoubtedly the friendly hackberry cat who posed for a few photos :)

Quirky little stop on Route 66. Great place to take some photos, grab a drink or snack and admire some of the vintage artifacts inside and out.
The attendant was very friendly and conversational. Prices weren't too over the top for snacks and drinks.

Neat little place on Route 66, had a portly cat hanging out there (Charlie? Harley?) that enjoyed scritches. Very nice lady working there (owner?), super friendly and fun to chat with. Cool memorabilia around, and interesting stuff to by related to Route 66. Talked myself into, out of, and back into a cool bottle opener for my garage. The old gas pumps never get old, love this place!

Great roadside stop along the famous Route 66. Eva, the counter clerk, was friendly and had a great sense of humor. There is so much to look at, both inside and out. It's a true feast for the eyes. You can buy snacks, drinks and souvenirs or just spend time enjoying all the nostalgia and Americana.

Iconic and historical place worth to visit. It takes some additional time to drive on the road leading to it, but the views are spectacular. I was surprised that it has so many historical relics, especially old cars and signs. You can also buy some drinks or souvenirs inside.

Nestled along the historic stretch of Route 66, just east of Kingman, Arizona, lies a treasure trove of nostalgia and Americana – the Hackberry General Store. This iconic landmark, fondly nicknamed the "Mother Lode of Mother Road Memorabilia," beckons travelers with its eclectic collection of vintage signs, quirky artifacts, and a palpable sense of Route 66 spirit.

Lovely, quirky motel. I stayed on my way to hike Havasupai and the location was perfect for that. Staff were friendly and helpful. The room had more space than I expected, and was clean and comfortable. We ate veggie burgers at the restaurant, which were excellent and very generously portioned. Well worth venturing off the highway for, for a fun, unique experience.

Unfortunately had to cancel our trip due to COVID-19, and had one night booked here. I've tried to contact the inn several times over email, phone, and facebook message over the last month and they will not respond, despite posting often on Facebook that they are still open. I cannot recommend this place at all if this is how they choose to do business.
Victoria — Google review
Absolutely an outdated off the beaten path motel. But honestly was perfect to rest our heads before heading out to Havasupai to hike for 3 days.
They were accommodating and seemed to keep the place as clean as they could for the age of the facility
Michelle Ligon — Google review
This review is for the Havasu permit check-in office, not the caverns (the cavern tours aren't taking place right now, due to renovations, anyway).
You can only check in from 8am to 5pm. You must have your reservation proof with you. You must have the vehicle information for all vehicles from all people in your reservation. The person behind the counter is pretty indifferent to your existence. I wouldn't expect any special favors. We didn't have any issues with our check in because we made sure to read up on tips before we got to the check in, but that wasn't the case for everyone in line. Definitely come prepared before arriving and keep in mind that if you're planning on checking in the day of your hike start, it's over an hour away to drive from this check in location to the trailhead. You'll be walking into the canyon in high heat conditions and that's not what you want.

Arrived after 2 hours of drive because I was excited to do caverns. Sign on door "caverns closed , elevator out".
Went inside to use the bathroom, at least . Restaurant empty and not even cooking but was hoping we would order food you could tell.
Then she tells me n wife, "Caverns been closed for 2 years, and we hope to fix the elevator in the next 6 months , by October 2024 ".
We were on the website for a good hour the day before. No mention. Was on website many times over last year planning to come, no mention. There's not a single sign by road they closed. We had to hunt at the front building for a sign of where to find caverns. "Go 1mile up hill to caverns."
We got into the town 20 min down road, and they had no idea it was closed , but I did tell of them being sued because people got stuck down at the bottom 2 years earlier. And they tell the people who run it aren't liked by locals at all.
Place looks abandoned, if wasn't for the handful of modern vehicles in parking lot I would have assumed there closed for good/abandoned

Really enjoyed the tour. Large shop above and they do have a diner if you’re hungry. You’ll take a short ride on an elevator down into the cave itself. Yes you can stay at the room within the cave. It’s not cheap, but I’m sure it’s completely worth it if you can swing it. Your guide was friendly and informative. You can find the full video of the tour on YouTube at Country Road Entertainment.

The Grand Canyon Caverns Inn is a rudimentary hotel that makes a good stopover for hikers visiting Havasu Canyon, and the backside of the main building currently houses the check-in office for that trek, issued via the Havasupai tribe’s staff — where you pick up your permit/paperwork and wristbands prior to driving to the Hualapai Hilltop. Currently, there are no cave tours here, and the property, as a whole, needs a refresh and a little love. The rooms are basic (no clock, refrigerator, Kleenex, etc.), but there’s a restaurant on the RV portion of the property, just up the road, and there’s also a small store with simple provisions, making it a decent waystation before or after a visit to remote Supai. Another plus is that unlike other hotels in Seligman and Peach Springs, this one is not situated near the railroad tracks, so it’s a quiet night’s sleep.

The reception was very nice about the update . We took photos a radiator springs gas station right in front of.

It’s important to remember that this is Supai owned, and in the middle of the desert. It’s part of an adventure. So it’s not elegant, or modern, and many may find it “uncomfortable”— but for the adventurous of heart, it’s just a part of the experience (plus— it’s a part of iconic Route 66— focus on the positive and you’ll love the journey)
•
Check-in for Havasupai Falls was here. It was a great place to stock up on supplies, buy water and a few snacks, get a decent night of rest, and take a step back through time.
•
The service was friendly, kind and helpful.
•
The check-in process was quick and easy.
•
The store was small, but had a great selection.
•
The coolest part of the experience was “journey through time” room that was a curated collection of amazing nostalgic items from vintage cameras to Disney movies.
•
I don’t recommend an extended stay here- but for those passing through, it’s a great desert experience. (Those of you who have hiked out of Havasu know that any place feels like a luxury after ascending the canyon 😂)
This is a big piece of American history and you MUST stop here! We decided to take the iconic route 66 from Vegas all the way to the Grand Canyon and what a journey it was. This place was awesome and we learned so much how this shop and the owner some long years ago started a coalition to keep the route relevant for travelers. We had the pleasure of meeting Carly who was absolutely terrific. She talked to us for about 20 mins on everything involving the history of the route, what other sites to see and just gave us the all around genuine experience we were hoping for. Shes incredible this shop is incredible and the whole route is incredible. Don’t be a stranger come check this place out!

Angel & Vilma Delgadillo's Original Route 66 Gift Shop is one of our favorite places to shop for souvenirs on Route 66. The store is run by the relatives of Angel Delgadillo. We had a long conversation with them about their father and the history of the store, Seligman, and his impact on Route 66.
This is a fantastic store. it's a great place to look around, especially Angel's Barber Shop. There are great shirts, magnets, hats, etc.
Later on that evening, we happened to meet Angel, who was out on his daily walks. We both had a fantastic conversation, and he showed me where the original alignment of Route 66 was, and we walked over to his pool hall. Thus was quite the experience, and I will always remember the kindness of his daughters and the history lesson from Angel.

Wow what an experience, so much history. This shop is very special & a must stop if your into old Route 66. It all starts here and how the last remainder of the hi way was saved and turned into a historic drive. Hector (hope that's right) shared so much history of Angel the Barber and how it all came together. Many of the items including shirts are USA made as well. Take the time and get off the main highway, get a map and take a drive down history lane. Were glad we did! The Pixar film Cars was based from this town.

If you love Americana, Disney's Cars or anything Rt. 66, Angel & Vilma's Original Route 66 Gift Shop is a MUST see! Our family traveled the entire Rt.66 from Albuquerque, NM to Needles, CA and this was by far our favorite stop. Angel's son in-law Mauricio greeted us when we walked in, asked where we were from and invited us to explore all around the store. While some stops on 66 would not speak to us, and acted like our even being there was a bother, Mauricio made us feel at home and welcomed. He loved that our family respected and loved the magic, beauty and nostalgia of the old Mother Road. All of that past and present American greatness has been persevered in this classic family fun shop on 66. Our family first found out about this gem while searching for Rt.66 content on YouTube. We found Justin Scared's RandomLand channel that showcased this American Icon and we knew we had to visit. I will include a few pictures, but nothing does this slice of American pie justice like actually stepping back in time and meeting Mirna, Clarissa and Mauricio! I want to say Thank You to the entire Delgadillo family for welcoming my family and for preserving an iconic moment in Great American History. So jump in the family Truckster, put on "Get Your Kicks On Rt. 66", and head down the Mother Road to Angel & Vilma Delgadillo's Original Route 66 Gift Shop!!!

Located in Prescott, Watson Lake is a picturesque body of water with dark blue waters and impressive granite rock formations. There are many outdoor activities available for visitors to enjoy, such as fishing, kayaking, canoeing, rock climbing, hiking, and camping.
This was a very beautiful lake. You cannot swim however due to high levels of mercury in the water. There is a nice hike that you can do around the lake, it can get quite rugged at times, and you will have to climb over a few boulders along the way, but it is a fun and challenging hike! The rock formations around the lake are spectacular, and make the lake quite unique. You can kayak in the lake and enjoy the view. The lake is held up by a dam on the north side of the lake. If you happen to be in the area, I recommend checking this place out. It is a nice place to get views, and a wonderful place for a quick hike. This place is great for everyone! And it only costs around $3 to get in when we went there!

The surrounding park has picnic areas, playgrounds and open fields to play. Clean bathrooms. A well maintained park. $3 for day visit.

Hi y'all, Watson lake park is the best place to go to experience the lake from a kayak or conoes perspective. You can rent kayaks right on the shoreline there Absolutely awesome!
This particular review is regarding the scenic overlook parking area approximately a 1/2 mile north of Prescott lakes parkway on highway 89.
From this area you're able to walk to the kayak rental area and access the Peavine trail without having to pay the 3 dollar entrance fee.
But the main draw for me is the photo opportunities that are possible without ever having to leave your car.
But the conditions have to be just right. The following photos I took were on a rainy day in February.
It seems like the sun bouncing off the clouds on to the Dells lining Watson lake at sunset produces this affect.
If you're into that try to time your trip when it's more likely to be cloudy in the area...of if you want to save a few bucks; well there you go.

We recently visited Watson Lake on our way home and I must say, it was a fantastic experience. The lake was beautiful, the rock formations were brilliant, and we had a great time paddle boarding. We will definitely be visiting again.
As soon as we arrived at Watson Lake, we were struck by its beauty. The lake was crystal clear and surrounded by stunning rock formations. It was the perfect spot for a day of paddle boarding.
We had a great time exploring the lake on our paddle boards. The water was calm and the scenery was breathtaking. The rock formations were particularly impressive, with towering cliffs and unique shapes. We enjoyed paddling around and taking in the views.
But the beauty of the lake and the rock formations wasn't the only highlight of our visit. We also appreciated the convenience of the facilities at Watson Lake. There was plenty of parking and the rental process was easy. The staff were friendly and helpful, and made sure we had everything we needed for a great day on the water.
Overall, I am extremely impressed with Watson Lake and will definitely be returning for more paddling adventures in the future. If you're a fan of paddle boarding or just want to enjoy the beauty of nature, I highly recommend giving Watson Lake a try. It's sure to become one of your new favorites!

Beautiful place to spend some time relaxing. You can rent a kayak and go kayaking in the lake just no swimming. View from up top was beautiful and the place was not that crowded. Best time to visit the lake is early morning or later in the evening. There is an entry fee for day time entry and for overnight camping. There is a designated area for the camping and recreational activities. Plenty of parking so no issue there. Hike around the lake is easy to moderate (depending on the hikers capacity) but a perfectly tracked way with easy walk.
So, Enjoy !!!

A beautiful, short hike close to downtown! The rocks surrounding the lake are breath-taking. I started from the North shore, near the boat ramp and went clockwise. Instead of planning this ahead of time like I normally do, I decided to just wing it and go as far as I had time for and turned around whenever I needed to.
The hike is somewhat technical, there are parts where you have to climb up a little. I highly recommend wearing a good pair of grippy trail/hiking shoes to help you get better hold on the rocks. What's great about the trails here are they are marked with white dots, so as long as you're following the white dots, you won't stray off the trails and get yourself lost (even though you might veer off to a different trail).
In about a mile in or so, you'd come across a man-made little waterfall!
Entrance/parking is $3 for an all-day pass. Check the website for hours because hours vary depending on season.

Beautiful man made lake. The rock formations with the surrounding water makes for some beautiful views and photography. Lots of nooks and crannies to explore, some nice fun trails. There’s also some picnic areas and nice clean bathrooms. I also saw they have a frisbee golf course. Only $2 to get into the park, which is a great deal. I’d highly recommend for fishing, hiking, kayaking (they have rentals onsite) picnics, family gatherings, etc. I also saw a kids playground. Great place to check out if you’re in Prescott!

This lake and the surroundings are gorgeous, unique, and offer lots of activities. There are several hiking trails around and among the rocks. Just follow the white dots painted on the rocks along the trails. The view is spectacular. There are kayak rentals available, small sailboats, or you can bring your own. The entrance fee is $3 per car. There is a small playground for kids, benches all around the lake, and a grassy area to bring your blanket and have a picnic on. It's definitely one of my favorite spots in Arizona. Don't miss it if you're in the Prescott area.

A favorite for the beautiful lake views and scenery with diverse hiking trails (that aren't just dirt paths) and even waterfalls!
Hike around the lake down to the other side of the dam took about an hour on the Watson Lake and Flume Trail.
Trail includes areas which require some minor climbing.
Large open green in park area provides perfect opportunity for field games.
There is also a playground and restrooms as well as gazebos and picnic tables scattered about park.
As others mentioned - entry is free on Wednesdays, otherwise $6/ vehicle.
Only negative comment is that the stench coming off the lake, while at water level and down wind, was not pleasant, but odor was no longer detectable once climbing.

Beautiful area with great scrambling trails. There wasn’t a cloud in the sky but we got caught in a thunderstorm at the dam. There is nowhere to take shelter so we got soaked but there were cool waterfalls that emerged from everywhere.
