Today I went on the White Trail and it was full of spring beauties, maple roots, fresh strawberries, and violets. It's an easy hour or so long loop, with low to no elevation change for like 98% of it. Some parts are along the Potomac River. The views are lovely as are the flowers.

I went here to attend a high school graduation party for a family member and this amazing park blew me away. It was beautiful and well kept. The views of the Potomac were beautiful. There were lots of families there grilling, hanging out and having a good time. It was a very peaceful park with lots of shaded walking space. I like getting a good walk in when I have a chance. Had a splash park which some attendees enjoyed (at and extra fee) and a clean lavatory building. I'd like to return one day to fully explore the park.

We love this place! It's great for a walk or a picnic. The playground is very fun - with several slides that were good for my 2 year old and several that were for the bigger kids. They also had swings, climbing structures, and a sandbox. Lots of parking and seasonal bathrooms during the warmer months.

Nice place to sit by the Potomac. On weekends, bring your own chair. There are on lead dogs around, plenty of space for kids to run around, folks having picnics and a boat ramp for the boaters.

This is a beautiful less crowded place to spend beautiful time in solitude or can come here with friends to enjoy picnic time. It has water park little inside and can be stayed on the river side as beautiful huts are available with all kind of facilities.

Very good park for picnic. Not much of long walk trails.
The Views of Potomac from here are amazing and so beautiful. Unlinke the rapids of Greatfalls, the river runs lazily here that it feels almost sleepy and beautiful. The picnic area is large with a lot of picnic tables placed at good distance from each other to provide the picnic goers their own space. The space was enogh for us to play vollyball, badminton, cricket, although there were large groups not too far from us, but still it didnt feel crowded even a bit.
There are plenty of large trees providing ample shade to picnic areas.
The trail we took was not too wide and had bushes around but there were many scenic spots.
The deers were walking around leasurely and not scared or bothered by hundreds of humans present there.
Overall a beautiful place for a fun picnic.
I would have given 5 stars if the trails were a bit more elaborate.

Huge park with lots of different activities for all age groups.
We went here in an open park birthday party.
Kids & babies enjoyed the park slides, swings etc, bunch of stuff for them.
Lots of tree & shades with benches spaciously put in to give your own space.
Shelter areas can be reserved in advance for private parties.
Bring you boats & kayaks to have fun in river. The river water & banks are clean.

20230729 Haven't been here in over 5 years. The plants on the trail by the river have grown quite large. The trail is a lot more narrow than before. Unfortunately, it started thundering, and we got out before the rain arrived.
This is a great park with a lot of activities for all ages from golf, water park, hiking, biking, boating, soccer, ... to dog walking. I love that it is along the river, and the view is beautiful regardless of the season. The only complain I have is that the trail can be muddy after rain or snow. I wish it is covered with mulch or something so that my feet aren't sinking in mudd. My In the Summer, in warmer seasons, there are lots of strings of cobwebs on the trail. Some part of the parking area is covered with small grovels. Overall, it is a great park.
The Lincoln Memorial is a towering tribute to American president Abraham Lincoln, with sculptures and murals depicting his life and work. It can get extremely busy during the day, so it's best to visit during dawn or late at night when it's less crowded.
I flew to DC in November. We decided to visit the Lincoln Memorial and Washington Monument. No regrets! The park is very historic with lots to see. The souvenir shop nearby is worth checking out. They have postcards and other gifts. It was checked off my bucket list.

Reality Vs. Expectations 😊
These pictures I posted are reality . The place is crowded with tourists or locals , just people all over the place . It was fun , a lot of walking going around all the tourists spots In Washington .
Going to Lincoln Memorial is quite a challenge for your feet. Make sure you have a good pair of sneakers 😊 or rent a scooter or bicycle . It was fun going around on scooter . Just need your phone and credit card. Different scooter has different price. Goodluck 😊
Lincoln Memorial reminds me of the movie “ Night at the Museum” . Lots of tourist taking pictures . Nice to sit down after a long walk and pictures taken . Breathe in and breathe out and enjoy .

Extraordinary experience! The Lincoln Memorial gets proportionately larger the closer you get, and when you think what it symbolizes, it's larger than life. It's also the best spot on the National Mall to catch the most patriotic 4th of July fireworks with stunning views. The giant memorial starts casting a protective shade for the crowds around 3pm, which also makes it one of the most comfortable spots to wait in. This is an impressive place to visit all year around, day or night.

It was great and the atmosphere there and around it was awesome. There is a shop inside i did not expect and a random room to the right. The stairs are pretty cool. There are a lot of stairs. There are street vendors outside of it and there is parking like a mile away. If you go here any time of day you will be happy and will definitely not regret your decision. If your in the District of Colombia, this is a must see spot.

Free admission. Can be a climb though to reach the top floor, but it's worth it. Felt surreal seeing Lincoln's statue in person after having seen it a lot in the movies.
Amazing views of the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool and the Washington Monument from the steps of Lincoln Memorial.

Very awesome iconic site! The total cost is $0! This place is equipped with an elevator, bathrooms, little indoor museum area and gift shop. But most importantly, you can get some really cool photos of the Lincoln Memorial.
Nice views from here of the reflection pool as well. Definitely check it out along with the other memorials when you're visiting Washington DC.

Truly spectacular memorial. An absolute must see. Lincoln is absolutely massive! It is very busy so trying to get a picture can be quite difficult without getting others in the frame. The site itself is well kept and clean. It’s lovely and spacious and nice and cool too.
They had construction on the outside steps which for a photo op was annoying lol but the main masterpiece is inside of course.

My favorite attraction/memorial of the trip. It's beautiful. The reflecting pool leading up to the memorial is breathtaking. We visited in the afternoon riding scooters from the Washington monument area. Such a fun afternoon.

This is my favorite building in all of Washington, DC. You can feel the power of history from the steps, imaging events like Dr. Martin Luther King’s speech. The building is a classic and perfect form. The views of the Washington monument and Capitol building are incredible. A short walk from the building you can check out the WWII memorial, the Korean War Memorial, and the Vietnam War Memorial. It is also a nice walk from here to the Washington Monument. Love this monument!
John Webber — Google review
The last (or the first) monument on The Mall - and quite a spectacular one! It’s a statement monument rising above the reflecting pool and housing a statue of a sitting Abraham Lincoln made of white marble.
There are some stunning views from the monument towards the reflecting pool and Washington monument. The Capitol can be seen as well, just not from the middle as it’s hidden behind the Washington monument. The steps are steep but safe, as the surface is not smooth, so even during the rain it’s perfectly safe to walk on them.
The only problem with this place is how incredibly crowded it gets, be prepared to be pushed over by others, unless you visit early in the morning or late at night, and even then you won’t be alone. I visited at 6:30 AM (it was still dark) during the cherry blossom festival in March and several people were already wandering around. I also preferred the marvelous neoclassical memorial during low light conditions, it added another dimension to my experience.
There is nothing inside apart from the statue of Lincoln and inscriptions of two of his speeches, nevertheless it is an amazing place to visit! Plenty of parking in the proximity and surrounding streets, you just have to come early enough to secure a spot.
Visited in March 2023.
PS: While walking on the stairs to the memorial, lift your eyes up to the frieze (top part of the building) and look at the inscription of the names of 36 states that were part of the Union at the time of Lincoln’s death.

Very cool place to see. Beautiful and free! There even a little gift shop as you walk in to the right with a lot of neat Lincoln related books, photos, and tons of other memorabilia. I highly recommend checking it out.

Visiting the Lincoln Memorial is always an awesome experience. Designed by Henry Bacon (1866-1924), it was constructed between 1915 and 1922. This is the closest the US has to a secular shrine. Perfectly located at the end of the Mall on the opposite end from the Capitol, the views across the Mall and the Reflecting Pool are epic. The Gettysburg address inside is a must read.

A very special experience. I walked to it on a very cold Wednesday late morning and was one of very few around. The open air and cold wind passing through didn’t take from the stillness, the equanimity of this place. I’m thankful for the time I spent here reflecting on a life well lived.

One of the gems and Washington, DC. This place is a must see and is absolutely free. The whole national mall is amazing and everything is free of charge and it feels like you never have enough time there.
eric Leger — Google review
Not crowded in the mornings. The construction of Lincoln Memorial Museum was in place. Some of the ramps are blocked. Is a quiet place regarding the amount of people in there.
Johan Colon — Google review
There was a renovation job that covered half of the stairs, so that the statue cannot be easily seen from the outside. We have to climb up the stairs until the exact level where the statue positioned.
Nevertheless, it’s still a good experience to see with own eyes the renowned statue we used to see in hollywood movies 😊.

A great place to spend the day walking around the city and watching such beautiful places. The only thing I will tell you is that in architecture and terrain it is not provided for how the sound spreads and if you have sensitive ears, it can be very noisy when a plane or helicopter flies.
Anastassiya Tyan — Google review
Highly recommend going on a weekday morning. Wayyyyy less people.
- Park around the tidal basin and see Jefferson first.
-Then walk around the basin and see vietnam, Korean, MLK, and presidential memorials.
-Make Lincoln your last stop.
*- As of 3/20/24 the memorial has a lot of construction happening so keep that in mind for photos.

I'd rate the Lincoln Memorial in DC with four stars. While it wasn't my absolute favorite monument, I must admit that the view from there is undeniably pretty. The grandeur of the Lincoln statue and the historical significance of the location are impressive. It's a great spot for reflecting on American history and enjoying the view of the Reflecting Pool and the Washington Monument in the distance. However, the crowds can be overwhelming, and the interior space can feel a bit cramped during peak times. Nonetheless, it's a must-visit for anyone exploring the National Mall.
Fernando Redivo — Google review
Perfect if you want to get your steps on. Going from one end of the water to the other probably took 15 minutes of walking, and we had to do that twice. Not complaining, though—there is a beautiful view of not only the memorial but also the surrounding nature. If you are a big history buff or are just intrigued by the idea of standing where former presidents stood, this is a must-visit.

The Korean War Veterans Memorial is a memorial park in Washington, D.C., United States, dedicated to honor the American soldiers who fought in the Korean War. The park features life-sized statues of soldiers, as well as an outdoor amphitheater and a wall of remembrance.
Visited in April 2022, was under construction for the new expanded memorial. Still worth a visit to view and walk around, so much history to learn. Will want to visit again when the new memorial is completed.

I LOVED this memorial! My father would have been 88 yesterday and he served in the Korean War so for me this was a very personal place to visit. To stand amongst the statues representing soldiers from more than a dozen countries and look at their facial expressions was very impactful. I am so happy that they are renovating the memorial and I can’t wait to visit it again once the renovations are complete. The reflection wall is really impressive as well.

This memorial makes you wonder if all the loss was worth it. I can't imagine anyone walking through the Korean War Veterans Memorial and not being moved to tears.
All those soldiers that fought, that were lost, that were captured, or died in battle, it touches you. The life size statues leaves an impact as you walk through and look at the faces. It's true that freedom is not free.

The memorial honors over 5 million American soldiers who served in the U.S. armed forces during the Korean War (1950-1953). The memorial features 19 statues, including 14 soldiers, 3 Marines, 1 sailor, and 1 airman, dressed in ponchos and swaying in the cold Korean winds, adding ambiance to the tribute.
No fee or passes required and located near the Lincoln Memorial.

A beautiful memorial at the National Mall next to the Vietnam, Lincoln, and WW2 Memorials. I reccomend seeing it at night and day time, it has almost a chilling effect at night and it honors our soldiers beautifully. The location is next to cherry blossom trees too!

Very cool, unique memorial. Probably the most impressive along with WWII memorial. Sculptures of soldiers in the field along with a still water fountain and surrounding dedication plaque. Adjacent to a small forest like park with canopy trees and close to the Lincoln Memorial. Definitely a nice place to visit and relax if in the area.
Joey FLORIDA — Google review
Very moving Memorial. The pictures on the wall are of the actual people who served. You can see the reflection of yourself and the statues in this wall. And the statues-no matter where you walk there is a statue looking at you. I arrived just as it was getting dark, and I think that is the best time to visit.

A Serene Tribute to Valor and Hope: Korean War Veterans Memorial
⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4/5)
Nestled amidst the lush greenery of Washington, DC, the Korean War Veterans Memorial stands as a powerful reminder of the sacrifices made during the Korean War. As I approached the memorial, I was captivated by its striking beauty and the profound sense of respect it commanded.
The design of the memorial is truly remarkable. The larger-than-life statues depict a group of soldiers, their faces etched with determination and unity. The intricate details in their uniforms and expressions convey the hardships and bravery of those who served. It is a testament to their unwavering dedication.
Walking through the memorial, I found solace in the serene atmosphere. The softly cascading waterfalls and reflective pool offered a moment of tranquility amidst the bustling city. The beautifully landscaped gardens surrounding the memorial provided a sense of peace and served as a backdrop for contemplation and remembrance.
One element that touched my heart was the wall of remembrance, adorned with the images of those who served. It humanizes the memorial, honoring the individuals behind the collective sacrifice. It serves as a reminder that each name represents a life lived and a story to be told.
While paying homage to the valor of those who served, the memorial also stirred a desire within me. As I gazed upon the statues and reflected on the sacrifices made, I couldn't help but yearn for a world where peace and security prevail, where such sacrifices are no longer necessary. The memorial became a symbol of hope, reminding me of our collective responsibility to strive for a future free from the horrors of war.
While the Korean War Veterans Memorial is a poignant tribute to the sacrifices made, I believe there is an opportunity to provide more educational information to visitors. A deeper understanding of the historical context would enhance the overall experience and encourage reflection on the impact of war on society.
In conclusion, the Korean War Veterans Memorial stands as a powerful reminder of the valor and sacrifices made during the Korean War. Its serene and thought-provoking atmosphere invites contemplation and reflection. May it serve as a catalyst for our collective pursuit of a world where peace reigns supreme, and the need for such sacrifices becomes a thing of the past.

This is the sanctuary of the lost soldiers during the Korean war. It’s a simple but very touching place. As you walk down the path, you can see the full sized soldiers. My hats off to all the soldiers who answered the call to defend the country and people they never met. My hero

Extremely arresting memorial. Very sobering to see the statues of the solders walking through forest. It immediately transports you into another time and makes you appreciate all that our solders have sacrificed for their country, time and time again. The memorial was under renovation, but it was still very moving, I highly recommend checking it out 👍

Emotionally moving monument. The new additions added to the original statues were especially meaningful for my husband a Korean War Veteran. He found the names of his friends that were in his unit that were killed and had a place here to pay last respects and tribute to. A very special place.

Hands down my favorite memorial, especially at night. If you chewed dirt somewhere around this world you can look at their faces and know exactly how they feel. If you didn’t, you can get a glimpse of what it was like. At night the lighting is perfect, the looks on their faces, their motions, the ponchos dangling over their shoulders and the details down to the snaps, it’s all surreal.
The shadows on the walls are just as breathtaking.
The new addition to the memorial is just as amazing.
Highly recommend you visit, and I really recommend you see it at night.
Erik Smith — Google review
The Korean War Memorial is a great visit. It isn’t quite as heavily trafficked as the WWII, Lincoln, or Vietnam, and helps capture an easily forgotten chapter in American history. It’s close by the other monuments, so not a long walk to get to.
I love the water feature in the center, and the faces in silhouette as you approach are also very well done. A relaxing place to sit, think, and remember.
Micah Walters — Google review
This memorial is a work of art. It checks all the standard memorial boxes: water, quotes, statues, granite. It's beautiful and a great tribute.
The soldier statues walking through the "fields" is very neat and reminiscent of what the actual soldiers had to deal with. Very well done recreation.
Definitely worth a look when walking from MLK to the Lincoln Memorial.
Highly recommend.

Really cool memorial, very close to the Lincoln Memorial. Free to the public, no tickets needed. The memorial has life size soldier statues in the grass area. If you’re walking down the path from the Lincoln to the Korean War Memorial, look to you left once you arrive and you’ll see the Washington Monument.

You’ll see 4 parts of the memorial: the 19 soldiers on patrol, the Wall and Pool of Remembrance, the United Nations Wall, and the Mural Wall. I liked all of the details that went into creating the 19 stainless steel statues, they looked very realistic as they wore their ponchos in that severe weather. The Wall of Remembrance has the names of 36,574 Americans and 7,114 of the Korean Augmentation to the US Army. Admission is free. I recommend just taking the train and walking over here. Parking can be very limited. Any time of the day is fine to see it, but you’ll see the most crowds of people in the afternoon.

I really don't know that much about the Korean War but the memorial is very moving and interesting. I went through it about 20 years ago and it looks exactly the same. It's one of the better kept memorials around the mall. The statues are very detailed.

Ah, the Korean War Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C. A sight to behold, isn't it?
In the shadow of our great nation's capital, this memorial stands as an evocative tribute to those brave souls who once ventured forth into a foreign land, fighting not for conquest or dominion, but for principles. As I strolled alongside those stainless steel statues, representing a squad on patrol, the weight of their sacrifice and the gravity of the conflict became palpable. The faces etched in the granite wall, the haunting reflections of soldiers past and present, struck a chord deep within me. It's a place where the tales of valor and honor aren't just remembered; they're palpably felt.
If you seek a moment of quiet introspection, a place where you can pay your respects to the silent heroes of a bygone era, then this hallowed ground is where you must tread. An impeccable 5 stars for reminding us all of the price of freedom and the valor of those who've paid it.

Amazing memorial in honor of the sons and daughters who answered the call to defend a country they never knew and a people they never met. The memorial is very well done, all countries who fought under the U.N. flag in Korea are honored. Numbers of casualties, missing, captured, and injured are displayed in front of a wall saying "Freedom is not Free". The memorial now has a wall sort of like the Vietnam wall, but in a huge circle. It is organized by branch then rank alphabetically, and has the names of 36,574 American servicemen and more than 7,200 members of the Korean Augmentation troops. The statues and the stone wall with more than 2,500 pixelated faces etched into it are incredibly well done as well.

The Korean War Veterans Memorial is an absolute must-visit when in Washington D.C. This memorial beautifully honors the sacrifice and courage of those who served during the Korean War. The design, with its striking stainless steel statues and reflective black granite wall, evokes a profound sense of reverence and gratitude.
Walking through the memorial, you can't help but feel a deep sense of respect for the veterans who fought bravely for freedom and democracy. The statues, depicting soldiers from various branches of the military, are incredibly lifelike and poignant, capturing the essence of the human spirit in times of conflict.
The Wall of Remembrance, etched with the faces of soldiers and poignant quotations, serves as a powerful reminder of the human cost of war and the importance of honoring those who served.
The memorial's location, nestled among the trees and overlooking the Reflecting Pool, adds to the sense of tranquility and reflection. Whether you're a history buff or simply seeking a moment of quiet contemplation, this memorial offers a moving experience that will stay with you long after you leave.
Thank you to all the brave men and women who served in the Korean War. This memorial is a fitting tribute to your courage and sacrifice.

The Korean War Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C., is smaller than other memorials in the city, but it profoundly impacts visitors. The memorial pays tribute to over 5 million American soldiers who served in the U.S. armed forces during the three years of the Korean War, from 1950 to 1953. The memorial has 19 statues, with 14 representing soldiers, 3 representing Marines, 1 representing a sailor, and 1 representing an airman. The statues are wearing ponchos covering their weapons and equipment that sway in the cold winds of Korea, adding to the memorial's ambiance.
The Vietnam Veterans Memorial is a monument in Washington, D.C., to the men and women who served in the Vietnam War. The wall of names contains the names of more than 58,000 soldiers who died or went missing in action. It is a place of solace for many Americans, especially those looking for information about a loved one whose name is on the wall.
There’s a lot of history with this memorial. Too much drama related to the war and a very charged American population, thus the memorial that cuts deep into the earth and looks like a wound that has been healing for years. The reflective wall allows us to look past the names and realize that, in a different age, those names could have been ours. I wasn’t aware that 1/2 of those who died were only 18 years of age and the average age of those who passed away is just over 19.
God bless our veterans and their families for the trial is equally tough to bear for those who died and those who survived.

Google doesn’t have enough star ratings for this review. The Vietnam Veterans Memorial is a must come see. Go find the catalogue books, find the names and locate the walls. If you need a ladder, they have some available for all to use. Diamond symbol next to the names = death in action. Cross symbols, missing in action. There is so much information online. Come and see, it is very eye opening, informative and educational.

One of the best designed approaches to a memorial that I have ever experienced.
Walking below the ground level, sinking into the names listed by year, is so powerful. Seeing the names and being able to feel them carved into the highly polished stone is very effective to humanizing the losses of the Vietnam War. Seeing yourself reflected in the stone while looking upon the names is a stark reality that all of these people listed were humans; they were alive and breathing in the face of war.
Whether your feelings and beliefs about our involvement, you can’t deny how solemn and respectful this memorial is and was designed to be. It’s an honor to experience this memorial and live in a country that values this type of solution for how to humanize and memorialize those lost.

The Vietnam War Memorial is a beautiful and poignant tribute to the men and women who served their country during the Vietnam War. Located in Washington D.C., it is a long, black granite wall that lists the names of the more than 58,000 Americans who lost their lives during the war.
The memorial is designed to be simple yet powerful, with the names listed in chronological order, rather than by rank or other factors. This creates a sense of unity among those who served and died in the conflict. The black granite surface of the wall allows visitors to see their own reflection alongside the names of the fallen, symbolizing the impact of the war on all who were touched by it.
The Vietnam War Memorial is also unique in that it is interactive, allowing visitors to leave flowers, letters, and other mementos in honor of those who died. This creates a sense of community and connection among visitors, even those who may have never met the individuals whose names are listed on the wall.
Overall, the Vietnam War Memorial is a moving tribute to the sacrifices made by those who served in the war, and a powerful reminder of the cost of war. It is a must-see for anyone visiting Washington D.C. and a place of reflection and remembrance for all Americans.

I find this the most poignant of the war memorials around The Mall. Its simplicity makes it an eloquent tribute to the loss of all those whose names are inscribed on the walls, highlighting the loss of so many (primarily young) lives rather than entering into the debate over the war itself. This is a place of contemplation, moving and beautiful, which should certainly be visited by anyone who can.

This monument has all the names of warriors who sacrificed their life for the nation. You can walkthrough the wall and see the names written
Also there is statue with soldiers around 100 feet distance, do have look one of the nice spot with relaxing spot
A water body after this spot with benches to sooth your mind and heart

A powerful and beautiful wall to commemorate the lives of those that fight that awful war. So many people mistreated so poorly. Sent off to fight a war for an ungrateful nation. But these men and women served their country with honor. And we should not forget. It is a must see and great memorial.

A very somber yet beautiful memorial to remind us of those that lost their lives in this war. My uncle lost his life in this war 10 years before I was born. His name will forever be a part of history.

It’s a good walk around the memorial, you’ll see many families honoring their lost loved ones. Most people are usually respectful towards each other here. It’s a tribute to the 58,000 men and women that lost their lives during the war. It’s open 24 hours of the day. In this area, you’ll find 3 pieces, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial wall, the Three Servicemen statue, and the Vietnam Women’s memorial. Admission is free. I recommend just taking the train and walking over here. Parking can be very limited.

My visit to the Vietnam War Veteran Memorial was truly great. This solemn and impactful monument left a lasting impression on me. The design, with its reflective black granite wall and the names of the fallen etched into its surface, is a powerful tribute to those who served and sacrificed. It's a place of deep reverence, allowing visitors to pay their respects and reflect on the sacrifices made during the Vietnam War. The serene surroundings and the beautifully maintained memorial make it a must-visit site for anyone in search of a meaningful and moving experience.

Visiting the Vietnam War Memorial Wall was a deeply moving experience that left me with a profound sense of respect and reflection. The wall, located in the heart of Washington, D.C., stands as a poignant tribute to the brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives during the Vietnam War.
Upon arriving, I was immediately struck by the wall's design - a sleek, black granite surface that seems to stretch endlessly, bearing the engraved names of over 58,000 fallen soldiers. The simplicity of the design amplifies the emotional impact, allowing visitors to focus solely on the individual names that represent the stories and lives lost. The reflective quality of the stone seemed to draw me into a contemplative state, making it impossible not to pay homage to the sacrifices made.
The atmosphere around the memorial is respectful and somber, creating an environment conducive to introspection. Visitors leave behind tokens of remembrance, such as flowers, photographs, and handwritten notes, further humanizing the monument and connecting us to the past. It's a place of collective mourning, where the weight of history hangs heavy in the air.
One aspect that truly stands out is the dedication of the volunteers and park rangers present. They offer insights, share stories, and provide context about the war and its impact, enriching the experience and helping visitors understand the historical significance of the memorial. I found their presence invaluable in deepening my understanding of the war and the sacrifices made.
Visiting the Vietnam War Memorial Wall is a must for anyone interested in history, patriotism, or simply seeking a thought-provoking experience. It's a solemn reminder of the human cost of war and the importance of honoring those who have served. I left the memorial with a renewed sense of gratitude for the freedoms we enjoy and a commitment to remember the sacrifices of those who came before us.
The Vietnam War Memorial Wall is a place of powerful reflection and remembrance. Its design, the emotions it evokes, and the stories it tells all combine to create an unforgettable visit. I highly recommend this solemn and meaningful destination to anyone looking to pay their respects and gain a deeper appreciation for the sacrifices made during the Vietnam War.
The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum is a memorial museum in Washington DC that tells the story of the Nazi genocide of Jews during World War II. The exhibits are not allowed to be viewed by young kids, but there is a separate section which displays narratives from children about the Holocaust.
The Holocaust is one of those historic atrocities that we shouldn’t forget. This memorial is well thought out, planned and kept. Come with time to spare because there is lots to see, learn and explore. Find the password before you hop in the elevator and start your journey as a Jew prisoner.

We have been looking forward to visiting this museum for years, so our expectations were quite high. (History teacher.) The museum itself is quite well done, however, the crowds inside were almost unbearable, so it was extremely difficult to read much of the information. I love that the museum is so popular, as I believe everyone needs the lessons that it teaches, but it seems that the crowds could be better managed considering you have to book a timed entry. The crowd should have been at least halved from what it was. We had to skip large sections of the exhibition simply because the crowds were so deep. Still, even with the stress of the large crowd, the museum is hugely impactful and we appreciated the level of respect that most guests displayed and the atmosphere that the museum successfully cultivates. We recommend viewing the additional exhibit, Americans and the Holocaust, which is on the bottom floor.

Beautifully moving display with enormous amounts of education. Definitely worth the visit. Shoe display was removed when we visited.
Timed tickets required upon visit. $1 processing fee for each ticket.
Emily Evans — Google review
This museum is so FULL of information, we wanted to read/watch it all. We loved everything inside except the people. Even though we had timed entry tickets, there were so many people at some points we couldn’t even move. So many school groups with rude teenagers running around with a piece of paper for an assignment, I imagine. They would stand in the way of what you were trying to read, or bump into you, etc. It made it hard to see everything with so much chaos. We were there 3 hours and could have easily spent another hour, I feel like we had to rush through the last part because we had timed entry somewhere else. I recommend all DC visitors come here!
Megan Chandler — Google review
Timed entry is smart. So much to read and do. I appreciate that the most sensitive material was optional to view and out of sight unless it was your choice to watch certain sensitive videos. Very informative. Enjoyed the walk thru path through time to get info in chronological order. I liked that the history was honest. Loved the photos. Daniels Story was my favorite part (and didn’t even require tickets- so see that at least if you’re unable to get tickets). Well done.

As I'm Polish this was must to see museum. I was very pleased with the layout and information. You don't feel good once leaving this place but that's what you should feel... Holocaust is a fact that should make us thinking!

What an amazing and moving memorial and museum. I thought I knew a lot about the Holocaust prior but I learned so much more and the photos and names and preserved items were such incredibly respectful tributes to those people lost. I felt it was very very in depth, but depends on how much you process Ave available. Many school groups were just filing through rather rapidly. Especially important was how quickly(LESS than 6 months and Hilter had complete control) the Nazis took over everything. We actually could have stayed longer than the 5-6 hours we were there but had reservations to be elsewhere. I tend to look, watch and read as much as is offered since this may be my first and only visit to DC. I wish we had planned at least a full day here. It's bigger than it looks. We found a very good selection on books for purchase in the store. Helpful staff.

Throughly enjoyed my visit. It was pretty busy when we came but the crowds thin out a little depending on how fast or slow you read everything. Make sure to read only one page from the identification card for each floor in the main exhibit. The pages have dates on the top that correspond with the floor.

It was a pretty good exhibition. The design it's like a concentration camp and you can go walk for the hall seeing how it started everything. I loved so much the design of the lifts because it was like the gates of horns. I loved the thematic.
I recommend you to choose morning hours because in the afternoon there are A LOT of people.

This was probably one of the most deep and sensitive experiences iv ever had. I'm a very visual person I can read all day but I'm better with seeing, and they didn't miss the mark with this one. It was amazing and beautiful and I didn't realize his bad it was untill I actually got to see all the visuals to help me understand what really happen.

Every breathing American should experience this museum. It’s haunting, disturbing, and straight-forward. What’s even more sad, is that the story that leads to the Holocaust parallels the same rhetoric a certain current cult leader uses to control his blinded followers. It’s a quiet, solemn place. The only noise was from the occasional middle school field trip that plowed through. Take your time though and be warned before you watch any video screen hiding behind a wall.
Jeff Mraz — Google review
It's a grate place to see and learn more about holocoust. A grate place to remind ourselves of how lucky we are to be born when we were and have what we have! Be ready to spend a long time in there, there are TV's and lots of reading required. Buy tickets in advance and do not bring any scissors or sharp objects. The museum security is stricter than any other museums.
Yelena Panasyuk — Google review
Truly an experience that cannot be put into words. The museum offers various displays, artifacts, and media that offer a mere glimpse into what went on during the Holocaust. The layout is easy to follow and I'd expect to spend at least 3 hours there. I would like to say that the museum is great for all ages, but I feel that it's really something that you need to truly appreciate and it's difficult to do if you're young. Something important to note: with COVID you'll need to reserve a timed entry pass online ahead of time. I recommend booking at least one month in advance, but if you're lucky you can snag one of the passes that they make available at 7am each day. I highly highly recommend visiting!

One of the very few museums in DC that requires a ticket. Tickets are not easily acquired. I was lucky and was able to obtain one of the few made available 'on the day of'. E tickets can be shown on your phone a few minutes before the scheduled time. The tour experience begins by choosing 'papers' and then a group is taken by elevator to the top floor to begin a chronological history of the Holocaust. Again I felt lucky. One of our "group" was 97 year old WW II veteran who was there when the Allies liberated camps. He was happy to talk about his experience and give additional thoughts on what was in the museum. This is not just about concentration camps. There are maps and newspaper displays. There are videos of this ugly time in history. The hall of photos (shown) the railcar, the German language iron sign "work shall set you free". POWERFUL. The final stops of the museum were Daniel's story and The Hall of Remembrance.

It was busy! Get your timed-entry passes early. As in before you leave for your trip. They do open up a limited amount of tickets at 7am on day of. We got lucky and made it into the cue and got tickets before they were gone. It’s only $1 per ticket processing fee. It is just a timed ticket to keep down the crowds and you will be glad for it! We moved slowly through reading and looking at everything. We needed a minute to process it all after leaving. This is NOT a place for young children. However, they do have sensitive material displayed behind walls that small children cannot see over.

I have always been drawn to the Holocaust. I read any book I can get my hand on about it and the same with documentaries. Coming here brought all I read into life. To see everything they have is moving and so terribly tragic. The images, the sounds, the stories. However, this museum is a necessity as we can never forget what happened to millions of innocent people during this time period. Everyone should come here at least once in their life. We brought our kids, 8 and 11, and they were moved by it and educated about it.
The only downside here were the crowds. It was so packed, even with timed entry tickets, it was hard to see and read some of the displays, which seems to defeat the purpose of having timed entry tickets. BUT, it is still a must go place in DC.

One of the best museums in the country. Very moving and informative. If you really want the full experience plan on about 3 hours. Watch the videos. READ EVERYTHING! Go through "Daniel's" child friendly walk through exhibit. You will see pure evil and wonder how this ever could have happened. The Jewish people that endured this incomprehensible wrong stand as witnesses of fortitude and faith. May their families be blessed forever.

This was definitely a once in a lifetime experience. As someone with jewish roots, I can definitely say we should never forget so we never repeat. The museum is so important and well thought out. Every exhibit exudes history, stories, and sentiment.
Please reserve in time since the only way to see the actual Holocaust exhibit is with free tickets online! So I would highly recommend reserving ahead of your trip and I would also suggest if you’re in town and can’t reserve anymore, the museum releases tickets every day at 7:00 am ET. You have to go if you’re visiting Washington DC, it’s absolutely stunning, the images, the stories, the videos. As soon as you get in, you get an id card representing a specific person who lived during the holocaust. The museum gets you immersed in the history. I love this museum. I visited this museum each time I am in DC to never forget. This museum has the best collection of holocaust information in the US and second in the world after Yad Vashem in Israel. I visited both, and it is worth it. The entrance is free, but you need to book a time slot in advance to get a free ticket. Even if you don't have a ticket, they have a few free movies to watch and a few free exhibitions to see.

A very sad experience. However there are a few things to know. The security staff are rude and very unfriendly. I understand they have many people to deal with but talking to people like they are stupid is not the answer. You need to get tickets before you go, they are free, however you must go online to reserve them. You will have a reserved time to go in, however if you get there early you can go to information desk and get sooner tickets if you are a veteran, service member or federal employee.
There is a lot of reading and it is very somber. There are 4 floors of exhibits and you should take the time to try and see everything. It is crowed even though people are allowed in in waves.

Everyone should visit this place at least once in their life. You will leave a different person. It's our history that is never talked about and no one teaches. From the architecture to the exhibits, this museum is a haunting reminder of the horror of the Holocaust. My wife and I, along with our 14 year-old son spent a little more than 2 hours...in total silence. Educational. Eye-opening. Horrifying. And very saddening. Well worth your time and attention.

The museum features rotating exhibits, including a Deep Time exhibit that takes guests back millions of years and showcases specimens such as dinosaur fossils.
Free museum. Great for kids. Lots of interesting exhibits. I went during Cherry Blossom 🌸 peak week so it was pretty crowded on a Saturday. I spent 3+ hours exploring. There’s 3 floors. Definitely recommend. There something for everyone.

I had never been in a museum as amazing as this one; it's amazing, they have so many things to see; dinosaur fossils are the best, my three year old daughter enjoyed it very much, she has not stopped talking about it in the last two days. We went on a Sunday and it was quite long but it is not overwhelming because it is very big place, there was enough space to see and do things. the museum is very interactive, it has so many things to learn, a single day is not enough to learn about so many things. It has easy access for strollers and wheelchairs, there are multiple elevators, several shops for souvenirs and gifts, it has a very nice cafe area. you won't get bored here. In addition, everything is super clean and it is totally free. When you enter the museum you go through a lot of security but the process is fast.

It is an amazing museum for kids who are eager to learn new things. This museum is a full day visit there is lots of knowledge to grasp and one can learn about a lot of things here. I had a limited time, but would love to visit this place again and spend enough time in each section by going through all the information one by one. I personally liked the fossil lab , where you could actually see individuals cleaning the Fossils, drawing images of fossils. It was a really amazing experience overall. I wish I had more time.

Once you’ve been to a couple of Natural History museums you’ve pretty much seen them all. This has the usual fossil and animal collections, but I’d say they’re very well organized and the exhibits seem designed with intent.
They have some really nice fossils although it’s hard to determine how many replicas they have instead of the real thing.
Their animal collection is also pretty good and the exhibits include plenty of useful information.
Definitely a good option if you have kids or you like nature. Safe to skip if you’ve been to more than one similar museums elsewhere.

Very nice museum, interesting and informative also free. The amazing world of the ocean, animals, space, dinosaurs, butterflies, crystals and much more. It was also very interesting for us to see how man developed, a very good story about our past ancestors, cool statues. We were there for more than two hours, it was not enough because every square centimeter in this museum is very interesting and worth attention. My children ran and it was impossible to stop them, especially in the underwater world, various fish, octopuses, corals, turtles and others. We also really liked in the world of dinosaurs. The museum itself is very clean, spacious and interesting. We drank coffee in the museum cafe, ate delicious desserts, but the prices are quite high, even very high, but that's everyone's choice) We liked everything and we are very satisfied))

We had a great time! There was no wait to get in, even with security screenings at the door. It was quite crowded both days we visited, but we were still able to see every exhibit in a reasonable amount of time. Masks are required throughout the building, but that was no issue for us. My 7 and 10yo LOVED all the exhibits and were blown away every time we rounded a corner. I highly recommend it if you're in DC!

An amazing (free) experience that was tons of fun for all of us and we all left smarter. Plan to spend at least 2 hours if you want to see most of the exhibits. If you want to read and learn about the exhibits it, allot at least 3 hours.
They do have restaurants inside, ample restrooms and a nice gift shop.
Our favorite exhibits were neanderthals exhibits and ancient animals, especially the dinosaur skeletons. They have many real looking animal exhibits, and detailed scientific background on them which was fun to learn.

I've been to this museum on numerous trips to DC and it is always a highlight of our trip. This time we went back in order to avoid some rain. They thankfully are no longer doing times ticket entry, so it was a smooth entrance. Be forewarned there will probably always be a school group or five visiting, but the 3 floors of exhibits allow for you to mostly avoid crowds. I obviously wouldn't recommend going on the weekend if you don't like kids, but the weekday not on a school break is doable.
The exhibits are well done and will have something for everyone. From bodies and bones to fish and other animals, you will dive into the world of nature. Over time, taxidermy does start to show it's age so in the near future some of the animals may need to be redone or repaired, but in the grand scheme of things they are still holding strong.
The bathrooms are mostly clean. It depends on what time you go of course, but with school groups they can quickly get dirty. The staff is very pleasant upon entry and are used to big crowds. They still run everything smoothly with such a large turnout.
I'll continue to go when I am in downtown DC as I feel like you learn something new every time.

I love this museum. Everything is quality, everything is clean. And the entry lines are fast - so (Pro Tip) if you need to use the restroom but are wary of Port-O-Potties, you can get in and out quick, despite a bag check. There is also a cafe with pretty much everything you could want to eat and it's not too expensive for the area. Plus, the ice cream trucks outside are so nice on a hot day. Beware: the live Butterfly exhibit is closed on Sundays and Mondays.

It was just incredible. Hope diamond was a highlight. Our kids FAVORITE was the butterflies. It is an extra ticket but totally worth it. The room is relatively small so almost everyone has a butterfly land on them. It was pure magic.
The other exhibits were fun as well. Loved the ones about gems and minerals as well as night sky. Just a big beautiful museum

Amazing hall of bones and hall of fossils, but also had a great exhibit on rocks and gems, the hall of mammals, and the sea creatures. Very interesting, learned a lot about dinosaurs and mass extinction events. You can even see in the dinosaur exhibits how many bones are casts vs real, so that was very neat. I also enjoyed watching the scientists work, one was drawing very detailed pictures of fossils, wish I could have given him a thumbs up but he was in the zone. Definitely recommend to people who like dinosaurs or bones in general.

Such a cool museum! Expect a crowd, it was elbow to elbow in most areas downstairs. BUT, totally worth going to. The elephant in the center of the lobby was such a cool focal point to be greeted with, and the dinosaurs are all set up perfectly. We thoroughly enjoyed seeing everything. For anyone wanting to do the butterfly exhibit, make sure you get tickets early because it is a timed ticket system and they sell out.

Nice place but fully packed over the weekend. You need at least 3 to 4 hours to look around the whole museum. Try to visit by 10 AM when the museum opens, it may be less crowded during that time. Some of the things require tickets, for instance butterfly pavilion required tickets to visit. Foods are available inside but it’s crowded.

Great museum for kids and adults. We went on the weekend and it was packed with people but we were able to move around with moderate congestion. The gift store was reasonable and there was some unique items available. For the little ones, I would bring a stroller if you’re up to pushing it because their legs will get tired. There were places to sit but they weren’t plentiful. The food court was open but we didn’t purchase anything. You can bring your own goods and water inside the museum. There is plenty to see and read for everyone. Highly recommend for families with small kids (probably 2 and up)

The Smithsonian Natural History Museum undoubtedly ranks among the finest museums I've ever visited. A treasure trove of exhibits awaits, catering to diverse interests, from dinosaurs and early hominids to safari animals, aquatic life, minerals, meteors, and even the famed Hope Diamond.
Plan on dedicating a minimum of 4 hours to thoroughly explore the majority of exhibits, even at a brisk pace. It's important to note that reading every single detail may be a tall order within this time frame. Approach your visit with a clear plan, focusing on the topics that resonate most with you and your companions. Don't miss the chance to engage with the educational videos on offer and take occasional breaks to rest your feet.

It's a bit of a mixed bag. It's free, so the price is great, the queues to get in can be long but they move quick so that's good. There's a bunch of really nice exhibits, and some that are fairly rare, the Hope diamond for instance, and the pretty good collection of dinosaur skeletons, and skeletons in general actually. There are two issues, first, it's very busy so be prepared to take your time, be patient as others want to look and take photos and read the info panels etc.
Secondly, there doesn't seem to be any natural flow to the layout that we could figure out. This means you can bounce around a bit and not be entirely sure you've seen all the galleries. We noticed this immediately, and heard others comment about it on our way around.
Look, they're minor issues, it was great fun, we love museums, and this one is pretty good. It's just I think it's worth while knowing about so you can do some research before hand, and/or have the right expectations.

In DC I loved this museum, especially I saw a huge Elephant that is at the entrance to the museum. It offers many things to look at and learn. My favorite area was the sea area, where I saw a hanging whale and different types of big fish. The funniest thing I saw was a monkey holding an iPhone and taking pictures. I recommend coming to this museum.

My family and I have gone a few times. We went again last week. Of course, I failed to remember its spring break and tourist season 😵💫😅 soooo it was actually quite packed on top of which there's very limited places to take a load off to sit down. Side note, I do like how efficient the cafeteria area on the main floor is. Folks usually recognize that space is limited and eat promptly to clear a space for the next person. OH AND I DID LOSE MY RING!! AND WHEN I CALLED NO ONE RETURNED. I'LL ADD A PIC.

This place is UNBELIEVABLE! There is plenty of room for families with strollers, large groups, easy access to bathrooms, charging for phones, food and rest areas, gift shops, multiple elevators, and more.
As far as the attractions, there is none better in the USA. Every type of the animals of the world are here and you are educated constantly. The lighting and signage is perfect. Kids can see everything from their vantage point so there’s no need to lift them constantly like at most zoos and museums.
The gem exhibit on the 2nd floor is truly one-of-a-kind, featuring the Hope Diamond. You can get about 8” away and there are dozens more examples to enjoy from hundreds of years ago and most continents.
The Fossil Exhibit will blow your mind, and has so much more than just dinosaurs and extinct animals. They have a live lab showing real experts removing bones from rock and using high tech equipment like laser imaging to find animal parts in rock.
You really must make this building a top stop from all the other museums in the city. You can spend all day here or half a day like I did and be constantly amazed.

Definitely a must see! Not only is it free to get in but there is so much to do You don't have to do anything else with your entire day! Use a parking app to find the best parking rate. There is accessibility for strollers. The food in the food courts is decently priced and actually very tasty.

Did not have enough time to see this place even though we had about 5 hours. We're able to see the first floor pretty well but we'll have to come back to see the second floor. Did not realize that all the museums closed at 5:30. The security and all were nice but firm about making everybody leave.
Came back the next day and still didn't have enough time. We were able to do the upstairs exhibits in about 3 to 4 hours but it was not enough time to really see detail and see everything.

The Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum is a popular museum that features both permanent and changing exhibits about aviation and space exploration. Permanent exhibits include displays of vehicles from the Wright Brothers to Apollo 11, while changing exhibitions focus on a variety of science, history, and technology topics related to aviation and space flight. Family activities are offered regularly at the museum, including free look through the museums giant telescopes for young visitors.
I'm very grateful that I had a chance to visit this amazing Museum. Being able to see the remaining from the Apollo 11 mission and the landing on the moon, makes me very happy. This museum has very much to offer, plenty of airplanes and rockets, lot of history from the development of aircrafts. You can definitely learn a lot and be entertained. I highly recommend you to put this on your list while you are in Washington DC

All of this incredible aeronautical history for free! The Smithsonian museums are such a gift. We went with our 4 kids aged 6 to 12 and they all had a great time. There’s something for everyone whether you’re a total science enthusiast or someone who doesn’t normally have much interest in this kind of thing. This is just a great family friendly activity. And did I mention that like all the Smithsonian museums at the National Mall, the museum is free?!

One of my son’s favorite museums! We had timed tickets for 2 and arrived at 215. It was only a 10 min casual walk from the Hilton at L’Enfant Plaza. About half of the museum is closed for renovations so I didn’t expect to need much time. I was so wrong. We saw two 25 min films in the planetarium (arrive early and sit in the back, you’ll be looking straight up) and for 2 adults and a jr ticket with military discount it was a little over $40. That ended at 325, leaving us with 2 hours and we were rushing to try to get glimpses of each room and the biggest attractions. The cafe closed at 5 so I didn’t see that, but we went to the gift shop 15 min before closing and lemme tell you, and 530- they are pushing you out the door. Politely, but no exceptions. I definitely feel like we left with no regrets. But I’d probably skip the movie, or plan for at least 4 hours.

I'm an aerospace engineer so I'm biased but my non aerospace friends say that this is the best Smithsonian (better than the natural history museum). I definitely agree. Seeing the selection was awesome. It is still under renovation so half of the museum is closed. Would definitely go back when it is fully open. I just have to do the museum in VA

The Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum in Washington, D.C., is a soaring tribute to humanity's age-old dream of flight and our relentless pursuit of the skies and beyond. Earning a well-deserved 5 stars, this museum encapsulates the very essence of human innovation and the boundless spirit of exploration.
From the delicate wings of the Wright brothers' pioneering aircraft to the robust structure of the Space Shuttle Discovery, the museum charts a captivating journey of progress, risk, and innovation. Each exhibit tells a story — tales of ingenuity, determination, and sometimes, breathtaking audacity.
Beyond just the hardware, the museum dives deep into the narratives of the men and women who dared to dream, to push boundaries, and to venture into the great unknown. It's awe-inspiring to stand in the presence of these machines and realize the leaps and bounds air and space travel have taken in just over a century.
For anyone with even a fleeting interest in flight, space, or the boundless potential of human endeavor, the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum is a must-visit. It's not just a collection of artifacts, but a testament to how far we've come and a nod to the endless possibilities of where we might go next.

While visiting, I found that more than half of the venue was under construction, which was a bit disappointing. However, the accessible portions were quite fascinating. The exhibit provided a comprehensive journey through the history of aviation, starting from the Wright Brothers’ early airplanes and progressing to modern super-fast jets. The variety of unique exhibitions added to the intrigue, showcasing various aspects of aeronautical advancements. Additionally, there was an interesting section dedicated to the history of sports in the U.S., which was an unexpected but enjoyable inclusion.

I visited the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum and I was amazed by the exhibition. It has many real artifacts that show the incredible journey of science and engineering for the achievements and knowledge we have today. It is fascinating for curious people of all ages. Even 5-year-old children can find something for themselves and maybe get inspired by our space future. I highly recommend this museum to anyone who loves aviation and space exploration.

Absolutely incredible! The exhibits have so much info presented in a fun and engaging way. They cater to people with disabilities as well! There are visual, audio, and tactile exhibits. There are parts of planes that you can walk through, and an incredible planetarium experience (which cost us $9 each, and so worth it). I didn't know we needed to get tickets in advance until the morning of, but they release tickets throughout the day. I got online for the afternoon release at 12:30, and easily secured 4 tickets for my group. We spent about 3 hours inside. We looked at everything at least briefly, but we could certainly go back again to read all everything more in depth. During our visit they were in the process of expanding, so I can only imagine how much more there will be to see when that's done. I will say it was pretty busy, but we didn't have to wait in any long lines. 10/10 museum, I would go again!

What a great museum in the city to enjoy. If you love history and space, you should definitely check out the museum. A lot of exhibits were closed, however there was still plenty to do including watching the Discovery launch, touching a piece of the moon, reading about what happens to your body when you go to space, seeing space toilets, and different countries astronaut gear. There is an interactive exhibit where you can choose to ride in a space ship and complete a VR( virtual reality) experience, fly your own craft or ride a roller coaster… the prices for this ranged from $8.00 to $12.00 per person. Don’t forget to stop by the gift shop and get your very own space suit, hat or mission patches for your backpack!! No tickets are required, however we waited an hour and a half in line to get into the museum.

Possibly the most extraordinary museum in the world, I would think this museum alone a worthy destination of the transatlantic trip but the entire experience is brought low by the way in which it is currently managed.
The refurbishment that’s currently underway limits the awe factor but it’s still there.
About 8 rooms, four of these are above-average quality of content but the space related rooms and Moon exploration are quite simply extraordinary. The objects are wonderfully exhibited and you often sense that you are in a world-class, premiere museum.
Despite that, I couldn’t quite rise above the experience of passing through the Smithsonian facility on a busy, rainy day. Access to seating is very limited given the size of the crowd; it was very difficult to get overpriced food and a struggle to find the space to eat it (I gave up). The museum store/shop is very large but very expensive.
Entry to the museum is currently allotted by the hour and we joined a block-long line in the rain with tickets that required being booked two months in advance. Attendant staff seemed passive and tired or just grumpy, while the few curatorial staff we encountered seemed somewhat overwhelmed by the crowd.
The collection here is unique and inspirational , containing touchstones of the most inspirational moments in human history, but limited by the exhibition space and feels cramped. Sharing that space with such a crowd is tiring.
I brought my children for my first return since I was a child in 1982 and I often struggled to maintain enthusiasm. We enjoyed the Udvar-Hazy facility much more.
Stephen Henihan — Google review
I give this 5 stars for being free but it would get 4 if I had to pay to enter due to the fact that you cannot enter even a minute before your scheduled time and it took 7 minutes in a queue before we could enter the building. Standing in line in the brutal sun is no joke. I highly recommend coming 20 or more minutes after your entrance time (you can come up to an hour later). The other issue is that there are very few places to sit. Saw lots of people sitting on the floor.
Aside from these negatives, it's a great little museum. 1-2 hours is plenty of time to see everything and read tons and tons. I enjoyed reading the brief period of the Wright brothers' success and their home life.
Large gift store inside and even a place to get personalized dog tags. A few interactive exhibits but not a ton for younger kids.
One last thing, make sure to reserve in advance! Our whole weekend here in DC was during a very unbusy weekend but this place was packed and sold out.

Museum is free but definitely reverse a ticket in advance. The line was out the door and around the block at opening time, so don't be surprised if you have to wait. It moves very fast, though. Very interesting history on aviation from the first plane flown by the wright brothers to modern day planes and drones. The "space" section definitely was smaller but no less fascinating with parts from a real exploded rocket, models of Mars rovers, and a lot of interesting signage on the mysteries of the universe and quirks of our solar system. One of the most popular Smithsonian museums and I can see why, however I don't think you need to spend all day here. 3 hours is enough time.

The Air and Space Museum offers an awe-inspiring journey through aviation history. The St. Louis and other iconic planes showcased provide a captivating glimpse into the evolution of flight. However, it's worth noting that the absence of the Blackbird and the space shuttle was a downside, leaving a notable gap in the otherwise impressive collection. Despite this, the museum remains a must-visit for aviation enthusiasts and history buffs alike.

This was by far one of the coolest things we’ve done in DC. We took our kids—ages 7, 9, 12, & 14–and we all loved it.
The biggest downsides were: (1) the day we went was super-crowded, and (2) we had already been to another museum, so we maxed out on walking around looking at exhibits faster than we would’ve if we would have started here.
There are so many exhibits and so much information. Everywhere you turn is something else intriguing. I could hardly believe that we were looking at the actual aircraft/spacecraft from stories we’ve heard about all our lives. It was truly amazing.
We especially loved the Wright Brothers’ exhibit and the entire section with space shuttles and spacesuits on display. And my husband was happy to find the Spirit of St. Louis, which was tucked away in a back corner, but a staff member graciously directed us on how we could see it.
We’d love to return and hopefully try to schedule it for a less busy time (seriously, the crowds inside were very stressful at times), but we will also make sure this is the first or only museum we do that day.
Highly, highly recommend!

This place is a blast to walk through, but since half of it is closed, I can't give it more than 3 stars. Lots of hands on things to do and still plenty of planes and aircraft to see, but you're only seeing half of what this place usually offers. Bear that in mind as the renovations are slated to take a year or more. The space exploration stuff is great and I enjoyed the early flight stuff. It's free, so it's still worth a visit, but 1-2 hours here is more than enough.

Great museum to stroll around for a few hours. As others mentioned, there are some exhibits that are closed so I wouldn't treat this place as a main attraction to visit, museum wise.
However, it is a great learning experience if your unfamiliar with USA space history and the early history of flight. Great crash course here. Definitely recommend if your in the Greater DC area.
This museum is free admission as it's your federal tax dollars hard at work. They do have donation bins throughout the museum as well if you feel inclined to contribute.

What an awesome incredible museum. So interactive and just tons to do! We spent 2 hours just walking around and seeing all the planes. Some of the coolest things are the two planes that you can walk inside and also the whole exhibit showcasing the Apollo missions.
Seriously can’t wait for the whole museum to open. It’s an absolute must do even with half open. 10 out of 10 Ill be back.

The best things I can say are. It was great that the security staff monitor the line of people waiting to get in. Air quality was awful and it was just miserable out. Thankfully they let the 2pm folks in line inside early. The planetarium was great. Like the other recent reviews say. Half or more of the museum is under construction. The upstairs exhibits for space were nice but the rest was dull and not worth it. I think the only reason they have advanced tickets is because they have so little seating for crowds wanting to avoid the heat vs the other museums

This museum is one of the best I’ve been to. There is so much history and detail in the air and space industry, but the museum does a great job of capturing a ton of it. The planes on display are a stunning work of building masterpiece. My grandfather flew the DC-3 hanging up front and center, so it was really cool to see in person and quite inspiring.
John Weber — Google review
The entrance is free but it requires a reservation for a timed pass. It does not allow for an early entry. On a hot summer day, it was no fun standing in a line outside the museum for almost 20 minutes until been letting in.
Some of the exhibitions were cool. We enjoyed the early planes and inventions, flying cars, Nation of speed. Unfortunately the iMax theater was not open. And large spaces were closed due to renovations. The displaying planes were much less than I expected. We visited on Saturday which was a packed day for the museum. There were not enough sitting area. Overall it’s a nice place to visit. But I would wait for a couple more years before visiting again to have a more interesting and enhanced experience. On its website, it says the full building is expected to be open in 2026.

We visited this museum in the month of August 2023. The space museum is well maintained and has a lot of attractions. There are two different museums, if you are more interested in aircrafts and space shuttles you need to attend the other one. Remember to give enough time as they start closing the museum by 4:30, they wont allow you to walk-in to different sections after 4pm. Buying tickets in advance is recommended.
The museum has a cafeteria inside, has restrooms and water refilling stations. You need to park your cars roadside or at garage.

Note: This museum is still undergoing renovations, and half of the museum is closed. If you have the option of waiting until it opens, I’d strongly recommend it.
Advanced tickets are also required at this location. They are free, but can be hard to get at popular times. Definitely get your tickets early if you are planning to come on a holiday or other busy time.
Finally, there’s also a Dulles location that is much larger with more exhibitions. If you’re picking between the two, I’d definitely go with the Dulles location. It’s less crowded and way cooler.

Get your online free passes in advance! It gets booked rather quickly. All the exhibitions were amazing, and there’s something for everyone. We watched Dark Universe, it was worth it (you need to get paid tickets for this area).
Accessibility was good for the most part, ramps, elevators, but with the big crowds it can get hard to walk around. Take it slow and easy and you’ll enjoy it better.
It was a memorable visit!

I liked this museum so much. It was the best in Washington. But now because of the renovation - half of the museum is closed. Additionaly 25percent of this half are museum stores.
There was little information about the booking passess. We made the booking next day exactly on 8:30 but unfortunately most of the tickets were gone in less than 1 minute for that day :(.
Still some people are not coming after making booking and Museum is not letting the other in although there are free spaces.

Get your ticket as early as 8:30 am because the place gets jammed. Only half of the museum is open right now, but it was enough for me and my 7-year-old boy. We watched every artifact and tried every interactive screen in the museum. We touched some asteroids and meteorites. We learned about space food, astronauts, and rocket ships. We loved the planets exhibit. We spent a good 3 hours in the museum. We will come back to see the new part and the planetarium.

Reserve your tickets in advance!
We reserved our tickets at least a week ago for 3.31.2024 visit. The tickets 6 days prior to 3/31/2024 were pretty much taken except 4pm visit on 3.30.2024.
When arrived at 12:30 pm for 1pm visit, we were instructed to wait in the line till 1pm. Right next to the escalator, it has a sign said more than half of space is under renovation, so there are more to see for sure. Of course, there are lots of people on Sunday, but it is still manageable, meaning you can still pretty experience most of things; even though there is a line, people move pretty fast.

The American air and space museum is such a great place to learn and enjoy everything. There are demos done while you're walking around. You'll need to order your ticket in advance, but it's a lot of fun and a great place to take your kids. Not to mention if you love gift shops, they have 3 floors with lots of different things you can build with Legos, from astronaut food to small planes and solar systems.

Love this museum, I think it is the best out of all the Smithsonian’s. There are so many interactive exhibits and videos to watch, and they’re all spread out; so it helps keep the masses of people from being on top of each other. The reason I gave 4 stars is that I wish it was open longer! The tickets are time-entry and one of time slots is 4pm.. by the time you get in the museum you have an hour before it closes which is NOT enough time to see or do even half of what the museum has to offer. The “same-day” tickets are a joke, there’s maybe like 10 tickets available and they’re at the 4pm time slot. I got tickets in advance to our trip but tried to get same-day for a better time slot, was waiting at 8:30, when they became available, and I didn’t get tickets.

First visit since the renovations, they are still making updates. If you are into the history of aviation in America this is your place. Comparatively the other museum A&S museum in Chantilly is s more open space and focuses on displaying various aircraft. This one also has aircraft displays but more curated with multimedia displays and various miniature models. I made a reservation the day before our visit and it was pretty easy. I went on a weekday morning in mid march at 11am. It was still pretty busy, but manageable. My only critique is that the placement as well as the wording of the exhibits could improve. There were times that i was searching to try to find an explanation of what i was looking at.

This hotel is one of my favorites in the area. I have been staying here for years. If you choose this place you won't be disappointed.
Honestly one of the better casinos I've been to. The decorations were nice since it was cherry blossom themed. Plenty of open games and the minimums weren't too bad, especially compared to MGM national harbor.

Very pleasant atmosphere. Smoke free. For it to be a lot of people there, it was still enough machines and tables to win from. I played off of a 20. Won 47. Then swap machine of same game, with another 20 won 69. All in less than 8 minutes, total of 107.00. Had I played one more round I would've hit the 500.. Lucky 7 was feeling me.

The casino is on my way home from work,so I'll stop by on a Saturday morning or afternoon, typically it's a comfortable ratio of open slots and table seats to patrons. Never have a problem finding a open group of slots to play, including new popular games or old favorites! Floor staff have always been very attentive and are available frequently to ensure any request is fulfilled! Early hour table minimums ($25 at roulette) are a Little high in my opinion, recently I've found more slot type table games,or electronic betting with live dealer table alternatives, that offer your preferred table game without the interaction of other players or minimum bet. This casino is located across from a large retail and entertainment mall, with a variety of dining options.

I usually enjoy my stays at Live Hotel just because it's a lively place to be and the mall is connected. The service is usually bad but overall the hotel is nice and rooms are clean. They never answer the phone at the front desk so if you need anything you better stop at the desk to ask. The hotel doesn't have room service. Also their spa never reopened after Covid so that's not an option while staying. I would give them 5 stars if the service was better.

They handled safety precautions exceptionally! From masks being required of EVERYONE to, sanitizing and hand wipe stations everywhere! You saw staff collecting empty cups or trash in general constantly. ALL staff wore masks 😷 and correctly! Restaurants weren't packed and had limited hours of service. Those opened 24/7 were sanitized after each table was done, seating was spaced out. The menu selections were delicious 😋. Restroom attendants kept everything clean(yes, I tipped) and policies were inforced(no mask, no access. If offered and refused one, escorted OUT). Not an issue I saw. Party favors and 🍾 🥂 TOASTS provided as we brought in 2022 sober and on time in a fun, positive kind to one another, respectful truly clean light fun and awesome way! Happy New Year! Just finished our stay here for a convention. The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are cleanly. The event center was really nice and seating in the second and third level was a really good view of the stage. The casino is very large with a fun atmosphere and the FanDuel section was great! Some pretty good food options. Convenient location, we were able to drive to Baltimore for a bit with little hassle.
We didn't appreciate that check-in took a lot longer than anticipated and we had to leave all our stuff at the sides of the front desk. We were told we would be notified when it was ready, but by 10pm still were never notified, and when we checked at that time they said, "The room has been ready for hours."
The elevator doors automatically shut EXTREMELY fast, you don't even have time to roll your luggage off of them before they start to close on you. The doors to and in the hotel rooms are very unnecessarily heavy as well, so you have to set all belongings down to even open them. There's no microwaves in the room and there's no nice outdoor area to lay out or really sit. No pool or hot tub or anything either. Overall, the place is clean and the rooms are nice. And the event center was good for what we were there for.

Great time at MD Live. No shortage of tables, even on a Friday night they had Blackjack tables ranging from $10-$50 excluding high rollers. Let's really address the elephant in the room. The ATM machines should be free to withdraw money, the beers shouldn't be so expensive and they need to remove those old slot machines that don't pay hardly anything. I got 260 free games betting 90 cents and only won $132 bucks. Not to leave out that one spin while in free games paid me $56 dollars...do the math. The new game Huff n Puff stay away from them and by all means don't play the Dancing Drums at Maryland live and here's why. The mini stays locked at $10 and the minor stays locked at $25 dollars. Every other casino the mini and minor goes beyond $10/$25. The algorithm and the RNG in this casino is set on a very low code that does not favor the player. People really need to boycott this place. If you are interested I'm trying to obtain 2000 signatures to present to Congress and the Maryland Gaming Commissioner. Gambling is supposed to be an enjoyment but visiting this place and witnessing the pure strong arm robbery is insane

I've had the chance to visit the Maryland Live! Casino a few times over the past couple of years, and I've consistently been impressed by the quality of the experience. As one of the largest casinos on the East Coast, Maryland Live! offers an expansive gaming floor with a wide variety of table games and slot machines.
What I've enjoyed most is the vibrant atmosphere. The casino is always buzzing with energy, with lively music, flashing lights, and excited chatter filling the air. The dealers are friendly and knowledgeable, happy to walk new players through the rules and nuances of games like blackjack, roulette, and craps. The other guests create a fun, social environment with plenty of opportunities to chat and make new connections.
The facilities themselves are top-notch as well. The casino is housed in a massive, modern building with high ceilings, elegant design, and impeccably maintained gaming areas. The restaurants and bars on-site also provide great dining and drinking options without having to leave the premises.
Of course, no casino visit is without its frustrations. The crowds, especially on weekends, can feel overwhelming at times. And the house advantage means you're likely to walk away a bit lighter in the wallet. But for me, the overall experience outweighs those downsides.
Ultimately, I've found Maryland Live! to be a fantastic live casino destination. It delivers an immersive, high-energy gaming experience that's tough to replicate online or elsewhere. If you're in the area and looking to try your luck, I'd highly recommend checking it out.

They definitely go out of their way to make your time at the casino enjoyable and extremely pleasant. If you haven’t had a chance yet, check it out and just have fun. Just remember to be responsible and stay safe.

My Aunt and I went and I won my first handout! Only the second time playing in a casino. My quick hit games weren't doing as good as normal but there was another dragon game I did pretty well on. The atmosphere was amazing but drink service was very slow and sparse. I was dying of thirst. It seemed as the night got later, there were more servers but still not great. My Aunt said the same.

I will start by saying the staff is incredibly friendly and engaging. They will help you with whatever your needs. That said, the room itself was a little bit underwhelming. I've been to cheaper hotels with more amenities than here. Bring your own food because the food there is way too overly priced. The room looked good when I entered but with only a kerueg that was dirty with leftover coffee grounds, I couldn't get any hot water. There was no microwave to heat any food. When I took a shower, there was still drawings from previous occupants on the glass from the steam. They lost trust in cleanliness after that. The shower gels and things smell terrible 😕
Overall I won't be staying there again, I'd rather get a cheaper place right around there and then drive to the casino when necessary.

I decided to get a hotel for my husbands Birthday. He loves Casinos and would love to go to Vegas but it’s just a good time for us to go.
When I tell you Live Hotel delivered an exceptional experience and we didn’t need to go out of state for it. Better yet we live in Baltimore not even 20 minutes away.
I booked a suite that was extremely affordable for the experience. I am not sure why this hotel isn’t a 5 star! Once the Spa opens back up we will be in this space regularly for date nights.
If you are wanting a local getaway come to Maryland Live Hotel! So many options right at your fingertips.

We had a great weekend getaway staying at the Live hotel. We had a King bed room high up with a great view. The room was very spacious, clean and the bed was comfortable.
We ate that the Prime Rib and the food was very good. The casino is like many others, but still a fun time. Also we ended each night at David's with drinks and live music which was always top notch.

I would never go here again. I could have paid the same to stay at a nicer place.
Pro- Plenty of parking
Large amount of natural light
beautiful hallways
Cons-
Check in was at 3pm. Rooms were not ready until 530pm
The hotel and casino stinks. it smalls like they are trying to overload one less than pleasant smell with another.
Late check check outs mean nothing if the housekeepers in your room at 11
Not a bad place to stay if you get hammered at the casino and need to stay somewhere ..otherwise not where you should choose to go.

While this feels like a luxury hotel when you enter, with amazing looking rooms, there are some challenges with some of the rooms. The AC units are noisy, and I had a challenge with mine making noise even when turned off. The shower control handle kept slipping, making the water hotter! The hot water stopped while I was trying to fill my sink. I asked for these to be fixed, but ended up moving rooms.
Staff are friendly, but unless you want the casino or the mall, it's pretty much away from anything.

This casino used to be pretty good.
Now it is basically just cheating everyone and stealing your money.
The table games are set up to give you almost no chance of winning.
The min and max bets are so close to each other that it’s not even a game of chance!
This place is just a bunch of greedy thieves in my opinion.
I never plan on going back.
Even the roulette wheel with an 8 percent house edge has a 25 min 200 max bet!
What are you afraid of Live?
50 min on craps tables?
Seriously?
I don’t plan on ever returning, it’s a waste of money and time!
Your chances of walking out a winner are slim and nil!
Put your money in the stock market!
It’s safer and more profitable!

We enjoyed our stay however, the housekeeping staff was quite loud in the halls early in the morning. Check out isn't until 10 or later. The loud laughing and yelling down the hall was a bit much. There are lots of dining options. We had dinner at koho, and that was a phenomenal experience. A+ customer service! The Hall was great. We've attended a few shows there and always had a good time. Clean facility and great bar staff. Will definitely visit again.

Employees are friendly and courteous. My host is the very best. He keeps me informed of events. He is reliable and responsive. I have been going to this Casino for many years. First to the Loft and then to the current location after the hotel opened. where Live offered accommodation combined with the Casino. I've had one not-pleasant occasion recently and am pleased to say it was handled most satisfactorily.

Super clean & accommodating staff with plenty of restaurants and entertainment to keep you busy for several days. The only thing is I wish they had better directions and access to the Arundel Mills Mall without walking across the parking garage and guessing how to get there. Otherwise fantastic and definitely recommend!

I've seen 2 shows at Live! I've never gambled here because that is for sinners. 🤣 I've never stayed at the hotel.
The shows are set up well.
Easy access and exit from the huge free parking garage.
I had a seating issue at one show, I didn't get the seat I purchased, or this would be 5 stars. But the show went off without a problem.
Pay attention to road signs to easily find parking and the casino.

One of the worst casinos that offer players no amenities in comparison to other casinos. The hosts here are horrible not friendly at all. They don't give much maybe to high end players. The most I ever received was $25. As a platinum player I see no benefits. Seldom do I earn anything on Freeplay. They allow me to earn a little more than take it all back. In the past I thought the payout was greater than MGM - not anymore. Promotions gifts are nice. Food outlets on sites are limited. Not too good no variety. Steak house Cheesecake Factory and Korean outlet are best.

Hello! Retired US Marine/Government employee-Wife former Army Officer. We relocated here from Illinois to Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. We decided to stay at Live Hotel Resort/Casino for Valentine's Day and attended the show at Medieval Times. We had a ball! The staff, rooms, ambience and everything overall was outstanding! Absolutely wonderful that the receptionist at check in presented my wife with a nice box of chocolates! Having had such a great time, we decided to drive up on 17 February to go the casino. It was outstanding! Went to the back to have an "Irish Coffee" and the bartender, Ms. D (Black Lady) was amazing. Played slots for a while and had an issue with the cash out machine. All people who responded to help were great! Of note, Mr. J (Asian gentlemen), Ms. Anastasia and Ms. M.C were very helpful, courteous and professional in getting issue resolved! Thank you all for an excellent and memorable time! Will definitely be returning to experience the KOHO and Prime Cut restaurants! Keep up the outstanding work and thanks!

The Historic Annapolis Museum Store is a small but interesting store in Annapolis, Maryland that features items related to the city's history. The gift shop sells books, home decor, vintage jewelry, boat models, and other unique gifts.
The bottom half of the museum houses the gift shop, which had a great selection of items to buy. Museum was on the 2nd and 3rd floors and set up with several displays aided by boards, audio recordings, and even video recordings. The exhibit I went to was called "Freedom Bound: Runaways of the Chesapeake." It was focused on slaves, indentured servants, and captive servants and shared an insight into a few stories from each. Wish they sold the video in the gift shop and I've been unsuccessful finding it anywhere else including Amazon. Also yes about the buildings in the area that have been restored. The museum is one of these restored buildings. Highly recommend.

Typical as museum stores go - you'd find your usual gift items and souvenirs sold at generally reasonable prices. The museum itself is closed to the public for a renovation (not sure how much longer). Staff on duty was cheerful and helpful all the way. Finding parking was challenging.

It's a very cozy place with a lot of little trinkets to satisfy your nostalgic shopping bone. The "museum" name can be somewhat misleading as only a small portion of the building is dedicated to the history of Annapolis. Nonetheless, it is a fun spot to stop by when you're downtown.

Great gift shop on the first floor filled with quality gifts for Men, Women, Children and Pets. Home decor, lamps, artwork, clocks, etc., also for sale. Great place to pick up a Hostess gifts, cards. Easy, short term parking directly in front of the building. There is a small but interesting Museum on the second and third floor.

Not a museum, a lambasting of our forefathers through various tales of slaves and not much more. Don't go thinking you'll actually learn anything about Annapolis. Oh, but you can buy some cheese forks there. History!
The United States Naval Academy is a premier undergraduate school for officers of the United States Navy. The school's focus on science, technology, engineering and math has helped shaped the modern Navy. The beautiful campus is filled with history and significant cultural significance.
United States Naval Academy was established in 1845. This institute seeks Creme de la Creme applicants. An applicant must apply directly AND be nominated by a Member of Congress. Program is intense both physically and mentally. All costs are paid by the school in exchange for Service.

My Alma Mater, beautiful campus with lots to see and do. Motivated young Midshipmen walking all around the yard, many historical landmarks and monuments to explore. Need an ID to enter the campus. Walking along the sea wall is incredible, watching the sail boats going up and down the Severn River, you can see all the way to the Chesapeake Bay Bridge on a clear day. Fun to wander around historic downtown Annapolis also, just a few minutes away from Gate 1.

Tour I took of grounds and museum were great but i nearly missed it. Staff at visitor center and guide were kind.
Initially Google Maps took me to the wrong gate., which was only for military personnel. Men assigned guard duty were on a power trip and detained me for 20 minutes. They could have simply explained it was wrong gate and had me turn around. They took my license, put cones behind and in front of my car so i couldnt leave, lectuted me, etc. Completely disrespectful, unacceptable, and nearly missed my tour. This really ruined my experience.
Fells Point is a charming waterfront neighborhood located in Baltimore that dates back to the eighteenth century. The area boasts an array of lively pubs and taverns with live music, as well as seafood restaurants serving Chesapeake Bay crab and oysters. It is also home to small galleries, fashion boutiques, record stores, and eclectic restaurants lining the cobblestone streets along the harbor and main square.

Fort McHenry National Monument and Historic Shrine
The Fort McHenry National Monument and Historic Shrine is a star-shaped fort located in Baltimore that has played an important role in American history. It served as a prison during the Civil War and was a hospital during World War II. However, it is most famous for its role in the Battle of Baltimore, which occurred during the War of 1812 and helped to protect the Baltimore Harbor from an attack by the British Navy.
This is a remarkable visit for anyone who loves history and America. Make sure you watch the video in the museum first before heading up to the fort. There are also exhibits inside the fort and a lot to explore. There are many forts up and down the east coast that are similar, but this one is unique for its history and position. The gift shop is not run by the NPS but is still well stocked with interesting offerings. I look forward to returning.

This was a great experience. We decided to go on a whim and are very glad we made the stop. The weather was super hot but it was worth it. There were reenactments and the displays were very informative and entertaining. The video at the main entrance is awesome. The displays are well thought of and there are several interactive areas.
The cost is $15 per adult, with several discounts available (military, student, senior, etc.)
This place is a must if you are like history. If you have kids, I think they would enjoy it more if they are 10 or older.

Absolutely amazing to learn the story of the Star Spangled Banner here. The movie in the visitor center is a MUST and the best way to start. We also were lucky enough to be there at 4 pm (can also do it at 10 am) for the flag ceremony. The grounds were great and the rangers were informative.

I wish I could give this 10 stars. The old fort is well preserved and the slice of history here is reflective of a major turning point in the American story. The presentation of the writing of our National Anthem is stirring, emotional and visually unforgettable. Walk the grounds, it's hilly and shade is at a premium, but the experience should not be missed, at all, if you've any interest in American History. My pride as an American is stoked to a flame here. Yours might be too.

How beautiful this National Park is. Spend the day outdoors. Bring a picnic lunch, chair, and a good book. Sit by the water and enjoy the views. It does cost to walk inside of the Fort and explore, but it does not cost to walk the beautiful trail in the surrounding area. This is mainly a self guided tour and all outdoors. Bring a hat and plenty of sunscreen if you're planning to visit during summer. In the fall/winter dress appropriately. Sweatshirt for the cooler Temps of fall since u are right on the water. Be sure to stop and watch the quick video about the battle and the Star -Spangled Banner. On your way out, don't forget the gift shop. There are some great gifts you can purchase. My favs are always the National Park patches and medallions for my walking stick. If you're a National Park Pass holder, it is free for two people. You can stamp your passport book at the front counter as you check in.

Wonderful place! Very well preserved! One of the most historical places in the United States!
A guided tour is absolutely the way to go and is so much easier than any other historical place I've been to!
The access to the different rooms and areas is fantastic! The views are fantastic! It's amazing to think what it would've been like from a historical sense but even today it is so picturesque.
Even if you didn't go as a tourist to the fort, the grounds serve as a nice walking/running path. During the time I was there, I saw numerous people who were clearly not tourists, walking around the area. What a great thing!
Would highly recommend making it a point to stop and see the birthplace of the National Anthem!

Had a great day exploring with a piece of American history. It was a heart harming story of the brave men and women who fought to save our county. It hard to believe that these people were able to tolerate such brutality and violence to see freedom through the light. We went on a day and at a time where we were able to participate in the flag changing ceremony - taking down and rolling the huge star spangled banner in exchange for the raising of the US flag. Really neat experience. The ranger gave an inspiring speech before hand (though could've been shorter to the same effect). The fort is fun to explore & to look out over the bay at the ships. A short video tells the story of the national anthem.

I loved visiting this place! They have a nice introduction to what the Fort was used for inside and a short film to watch. Very nice historical site that takes care to tell the stories of its significance across the early years of the country up through its use as a hospital during WW1. The gounds are well kept and open with easy to navigate walkways that take you into the heart of the fort. Once there you can go inside the buildings that are there and see what life was like in the fort previous times. There is an good display of an officer's mess explaining how they would gather to discuss and teach teach tactics to the junior officers. One building is set aside to the significance of the battle of Baltimore in the War of 1812. Outside you can walk the defense line amongst some the cannons and take in the great view of Baltimore's harbor.

A living preserved artifact of the past, For McHenry is an awesome national monument! The Fort itself is befit by a nice visitor center and park like Path befit by plaques and small dedications to the surrounding area! The Fort section is just as great! From the outside and going in there are TONS of things to see, with personal highlights for me being the inner center were the buildings are and inner artillery around the walls! Everything is incredibly well preserved and looks just as they did during the days they were first put to use! The staff were great too, being incredibly friendly, talkative and interactive, case in point being when the flag was lowered by them and some tourists in the area! My only gripe is I wish I had gotten a better Souvenir but the pamphlet I got was really nice on its own! Other than that? The small admission fee without any paid parking is a small price to pay for visiting such a cool place! Highly recommended, go there if you're in the area!
Pictures and videos are of the whole monument as a whole and the pamphlet I mentioned!

While it may seem like it doesn’t have much to offer. If you understand the meaning of our national anthem, you might want to learn about the place that inspired it.

It was a beautiful fall day and we got to walk along the river to the fort. It starts in the tourist center where there is a multimedia presentation that tells how the fort was the inspiration for the Star Spangled Banner. But there is much more to this fort than that. You will see artifacts, learn about the War of 1812 and how that was a pivotal moment in the history of the US (hint: we weren't always a super power). Layer on top of that the recruiting center for two world wars, an 1100 bed hospital that pioneered plastic surgery for the returning soldiers, statues, and expert guides and you are in for a wonderful experience. There are some really big cannons there too, and examples of different types of shells designed to be effective against people, rigging, or infrastructure.
Now if all you are interested in is people you have a great variety of those too. I could identify at least 12 different languages being spoken from all different parts of the world. The curators are very knowledgeable and it runs deep. Don't hesitate to ask lots of questions to gain some great insights into how things truly were (not exactly like I was taught in third grade).

Lovely walking/running path that winds around the perimeter of the fort, near the water. It’s a paved path so good for strollers. Lots of open space for picnic blankets/soccer/etc. Cherry blossoms in the spring and climbing trees for all year round. Picnic tables and bathrooms with the best kept changing table I’ve ever seen (reason for the 5 stars, tbh). I’ve actually never paid to see the fort part. I’m completely content to walk around and enjoy the scenery for free.

Visiting Fort McHenry National Park was an absolute delight! Steeped in history and surrounded by breathtaking views, it's a must-see destination for anyone visiting Baltimore. Walking through the fort felt like stepping back in time, with knowledgeable park rangers providing fascinating insights into its significance during the War of 1812.
The views of Baltimore's harbor from the fort's ramparts are simply stunning, especially during sunrise or sunset. It's no wonder that this site inspired Francis Scott Key to pen the words to our national anthem, 'The Star-Spangled Banner.'
The park is beautifully maintained, with well-marked trails and informative exhibits that bring history to life. Beautiful gardens with plenty to offer for less than $20/person. You get a butterfly house tour timed pass with purchase of an admissions ticket, and we got there close to the next butterfly house tour so we just waited in the little area outside of the screened in area until our time. The docents were extremely knowledgeable and clearly excited to share their interests and assist in any way they could. We spent about 2 hours total exploring the grounds at a leisurely pace, which included walking the entirety of the nature walk through the forest. There was a fair amount of poison ivy close to the path so be careful if you are allergic. I also ended up with a deer tick crawling on my leg so be sure to do a tick check after your walk/visit!

Pleasant place to relax. The Susquehanna River and its vast expanse flows alongside as you walk the Promenade. The Promenade is at least a 1/4 mile long. Maybe a 1/2 mile. It's enough to get your walk on.
The Promenade is a very cool place and a good use of public space. You will find the historic Concord lighthouse, the historic house of the Lighthouse Keeper, a duck decoy museum, (no never visited), an eatery for a quick bite, a marina, and places along the Promenade where people fish for dinner. There's a pier that juts out into the Susquehanna. People fish there. Another spot where people fish right from shore is located near the eatery.
Find this peaceful gem of a place in Havre de Grace, MD just off Rt 40 and down Revolution Road to its end. Make right. See lighthouse to your left.
I come for the Nature. The place is a show-off with nature, birdlife and the river with its lapping "baby" waves. Its' a place where you can sit back, relax, take in the view and breath fresh air. Nice! People are friendly, too. -Bill Curtis /New Mark Advertising Specialties

Looking for a spot to launch your boat? A spot to picnic? A walkway to stroll with your family? A place of both historic & natural beauty? The Promenade is that place.
You can avail yourself of the restroom facilities, the deli style restaurant and the pavilions at the harbor. A stroll will take you to the lighthouse. Top all this off with a wide range of shops and places to eat nearby and you have a place to spend the day or a vacation. Love this place.

Highly recommend for families with children. Great place if you have a stroller and children with scooters. Lots of walking and enjoyment. Plus a huge playground for children.

My family loves this place. Great food, reasonable price and best location. There's a sweet nature trail off the side of the boardwalk closer to the lighthouse. My teenage son and I enjoy reading the history of Havre de Grace along the boardwalk.
Dutch Wonderland is an amusement park that is popular with families in Lancaster. It features a variety of rides and activities, including water slides and roller coasters.
Great clean family fun. Perfect for small ones. The park is just the right size and has plenty for small kids to do. Our daughter is 5 and was fully entertained the whole day! No roaming packs of rowdy teens here. Just families with children, I don’t think I heard one cuss word all day, unless me or my husband said one 😂. So it’s a great atmosphere for wholesome fun.

Went for Christmas display. This place does a wonderful job. My son had such a blast. The place is CLEAN, food selections were really good and wouldn't empty your wallet. Such a great night.

Had such a great time with the kids. It's Oct! So lots of Halloween fun, candy, and great rides! Had an amazing time. The staff were well trained on the rides and made sure people followed the rules! Very clean has a private nursing station for moms nursing. The season passes are well worth the price if you can go a couple of times! So far we went 5 times this year with our new passes!! An especially great employee was DAMION he was working the hot air balloons near the slides and twister! He was very knowledgeable and friendly! Did a great job inspecting everything!

We had the best day at Dutch Wonderland! This was the perfect size park for our family at this stage…not too overwhelming. My son is 8 and doesn’t have the love for thrill rides just yet. We enjoyed lots of rides and the wait wasn’t too bad. Some of our favorite rides were the log plume, chairlift, bumper cars, spinning turtles, and the antique cars.
We also highly recommend the dive shoes! Both shows were very good! Don’t sit in the splash zone unless you wanna get soaked! It is basically part of the show to make sure you leave wet. 😂. Highly skilled divers!
The food at lunch was pricey but there were lots of options. Highly recommend the option of the Mill Stream Eatery. You can eat in the AC and most of the park options are located here, in one spot: pizza, burgers, chicken tenders, sprouts healthy options, etc.

We went for the winter wonderland on a Wednesday between Christmas and New Year's. The crowds weren't too bad especially when we got there right it open and the kids were able to tackle all the rides that they wanted, that were open with only some of the things having slightly longer waits. I'd recommend the park for kids under 11 but our 10-year-olds in the family still had a good time. Food is similar to other amusement parks at around $14 for burger and fries. If you go to the Mill Creek indoor dining it's nice place to warm up and you can get a free fountain water so it save you some money on drinks. I'd skip the all you can eat pizza and pasta as it's $19 for adults. Definitely the sky ride, the train and the turnpike cars are best done at night for the winter wonderland as they have lights and decorations to see. Note the skyride is extremely slow. We found the staff to be friendly, helpful and overall we had an enjoyable experience.

It is such a great park that is kid oriented in every aspect. We all had a blast! Lines weren't bad, they should mention in more places on their website though about the park being cashless 🙄

We purchased tickets for their Happy Hauntings event for Saturday. Rain caused the park to close so we went Sunday instead without any issues. We have a 5 year old and 1 year old (walking, not handheld) so we stayed at the Cartoon Network Hotel and with their wristband, we were able to enter the park an hour early to "preview the rides".
No long lines, everyone was so polite, the decorations were adorable and age appropriate, they had a trick or treat trail and dance party along with cute Halloween shows for the kids. We were able to ride every single ride and see all the events inside the park. Absolutely worth every penny!

Fun day for the family. Plenty of rides, lots of food options. Kids really enjoyed it. A lot of shaded areas from tall trees and park is well maintained compared to other local amusement parks. Some long lines but not as long as other places. Worth a stop if you are in the Lancaster area and looking for a good family day for the kids

WAY better than last year!!!
The staff is so much better than in 2021’s. The food improved as well! It’s a perfect place for little ones, preferably 2-13. But they do have a couple of rides for the teenagers / adults.

What a fantastic place. I came here at age 44 this year and everything I remember from 30 years, almost all is still here and wonderful as the name promises. You can even bring in your own food and drinks and baby stroller if you like. For what you get, this park is so sweet and old fashioned. They still have the charming things we remember from the old times and they added a few new things that are nice. You can skip the puppet show though, that part is horrible. It's way too loud and poorly done to be entertaining. Also the mascots could be redrawn. They look like a ripoff of Barbie, superman and Barney, respectively. They should have a DUTCH theme. Lol. Still, it's 5 stars all of the way. A magical place to visit. The little church and schoolroom are sweet. It was disappointing that there was no chalk in the schoolroom. Also the monorail should be restored to it's original design.

My first visit at 40! I joined my dear friend and her 4 year old daughter. Perfect park for younger children! Clean, not too large, good variety of attractions, thoughtful layout, not a terribly long wait for anything. The water attraction area was great, and I'm usually not a fan. Lots of attendants to keep little ones safe and lots of fun slides and attractions. I loved that the larger water slide had a lift device for the floats, so the riders just go up the stairs and get in. I think I loved it more than my little "niece"!
Food and drink is a bit pricey, but that was not a surprise. They will check your bags, so keep to the size limit, or you'll be returning to your car. Even though my friend hardly uses strollers anymore, it was a huge help to have it for a day at the amusement park. My friend has season passes and they've paid for themselves a few times over already. Make it a fun summer season if you have young children!

Honest review - Dutch Wonderland is a great amusement park for toddlers big and small. A magical kingdom for kids, there is a lot to do, from rides, trains, boats, dinosaurs, shows, eateries, water fun, and more.
While we enjoyed the park, most of our day was spent waiting. Waiting in line to get into the parking lot, waiting for our bags to be checked, then waiting for rides or purchasing food. We tried a weekday instead of a weekend but there were still long wait times. This resulted in us not being able to see all the rides or even view the dinosaur attraction so plan accordingly. This could easily be a two day visit because of the amount of people/waiting.
Tickets
- Can be purchased online through the website.
- You can find cheaper tickets on Groupon or if your company offers a corporate discount website, they might be even cheaper so explore your options before you purchase.
- Your ticket allows you early access to the park a day before after 4pm. Might be worth it just to make sure you get through all the attractions once you visit the next day. Day of, you can get in by 10:30 but brave yourself for the lines.
-Water park closes at 6pm, main park closes at 7pm.
Bags
- You can bring in a bag but it must be 15x15x15. They have a ruler and will measure your bag! If it doesn't meet the criteria, you will be asked to put your bag in your car. Pack appropriately.
-There are three tables with security that will be checking your bags.
Parking
- There are only three parking attendants and hundreds of cars. If you're coming from 30 West, get ready to wait a long time.
- Best option is to come in from 30 East or from the shopping center across the street! You'll get in way faster.
- $22 for general parking and it's easy to buy your parking pass online for a quick scan of your phone and you're on your way.
Food
- Expensive. $12.99 for 3-4 chicken tenders, $19.99 for a bucket of soggy/greasy fries, $16.99 for tenders and fries. $17.99 for a souvenir cup that allows you unlimited refills, $4.99 for fountain side, $4 for a bottle of water. Overall, it can add up pretty quickly.
-The souvenir cup is expensive but it was nice to get unlimited refills throughout the day.
- Outside food is not allowed but you can eat a picnic lunch you packed outside the park at the tables nearby.
-There are a ton of restaurants on the strip but you run the risk of wasting more time driving out then finding parking again.
- Get your hand stamped if you plan to leave and come back in.
-You can bring in snacks and water to the park.
Water Fountain
- Looking for a water fountain that allows you to refill your bottle? Look for the sky ride at the entrance of the park and find the restrooms below it. There you'll find the water bottle filling station.
Lockers
-$15 for a large locker but it wasn't very large.
-I think it was $12 for the small lockers.
Water park
-Small water area for kids to splash and play. There are cabanas for rent and lots of seating if you're lucky to get one.
-there are plenty of stalls to change your clothes.
- keep an eye on your kids at all times.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this place for little children but bring snacks and drinks, your wallet, and lots of patience!

Perfect family fun for the little ones. The parks size and amenities are designed for younger kids - I think kids 8 and under would get the most out of the park. Really liked that there were lots of rides and attractions for really little kids (5 to 3 years old) so they aren't left out either. There are also quiet spaces in the park if your kids need a little chill out time. Tons of food options too so you don't have to leave the park. There are also a couple of larger coasters for the bigger kids.
Kapil Bhanot — Google review
What a great place for toddlers! Even my two year old who is above 36” can have lots of things to play.
The park is small but big enough for young kids. Everything is open the day we went, not one is closed or in maintenance. We stayed at the park for 7 hours but didn’t finish all of them.
The restaurants inside are tasty. A little bit pricey if purchased everything separately. For example, The Mill Stream Eatery’s burger + fries = $16.99, flatbread pizza is $12.99.
Parking is convinced and costs $20.
L Han — Google review
This place is amazingly fun for all ages. Having kids of varying ages even the adults had a blast on the coasters - no real lines and they were a blast! Our son has special needs and the ability for him to not wait in line is HUGE. We had a blast and they have a fun little train that my son wanted to ride over and over.
You'll have a blast and so will the whole family.

We have 2 young kids and we love Dutch Wonderland! We have been going there for years and the water park is always a hit. Ticket prices have gone up in recent years, but the season passes make each visit pretty reasonable. Staff is super friendly, rides are perfect for kids and the food selection is always good.
Sight & Sound Theatres is a faith-based performing arts theater that produces inspirational musicals with biblical themes. Their Lancaster County, PA location is only one of two theatres they own.

We LOVE Sight and Sound. Can not recommend it enough.
We saw DAVID last week and it was incredible. The story, the voices, the music, the props, etc.. Goliath and the other Giants were very impressive!
I was in tears throughout it and truly felt Gods presence there.
My sister was with me and she said it was better than a Broadway Show she saw before the pandemic began. Wow!!!
I will definitely be back.

No matter if you're religious or not this place puts on a great performance. The performance is immersive and takes place all around you. The sound system is top notch. When the "lord" spoke you felt it. At the end of the performance there are staff that will pray with you if desired.
There is a concession stand that you can purchase beverages and food items. There is also a small gift shop. Would definitely recommend coming here and plan to be back again.

Awesome Bible story come to life right before your eyes! The actors, live animals, setting and sound tune to perfection. This was by far better than a Broadway show. Must see family event! If you have a big family it is best to bring your own snacks. Though the ones they sell are delicious, you will pay $4.99 for the roasted almonds.
Masks and CDC guidelines are not enforced. Few ppl wore mask but the majority did not.
You will get the most of this PA trip if you check in and make it a weekend trip. You will enjoy, and not have to rush through ALL the Amish goods vegetables, food and local antique shops.
Recommend and will return.

The Sight and Sound theater does not need me to review them. They have been entertaining people for almost 50 years and they are amazingly good at it! Everyone knows this, but I’m still doing a review for someone who might be a first-timer on the fence about going like I was. Definitely go! It’s worth the money, the drive, and the small wait for parking. The building is beautiful and when you walk in the smell of the delicious roasted almonds hits you immediately. Beyond that, the actors, sets, scenery, music, animal actors…everything…is amazing. The visual imagery of the sets captured me. The story and music kept me captivated, and the way they made it not about the actors, but about Jesus was fantastic. I highly recommend this experience for everyone!

My first time here was the beginning of July with my church family to see Moses. I had a great time! It’s a beautiful location and I really enjoyed myself. Tickets are around $80-90 but you get to see a great show. I was so impressed by the singing, the set changes, the special effects, and the cast’s ability to sometimes play multiple roles. I love the live animals! It adds such a unique aspect. They stuck very closely to the Biblical story and I really appreciated that in addition to the altar call at the end. The food and gift store is pricey, but the almonds are very good. Overall I would highly recommend and can’t wait to go back!

One the best theaters I have been to. The outside is majestic and beautiful with the holiday decor in December, many photo opportunities. The inside is just as stunning and so clean and spacious! The live animals in the play, the thoughtfulness and detail to staying on schedule, seating arrangement, the ushers. All absolutely top notch & professional! The gift shop and concession stand(s) have so many options and not at all over priced!! Every single staff member is so kind, ready with a smile, to help you with a question or concern. The bathrooms never had a line, always extremely clean. This was such a magical memory to be made. I can't wait to go back!!

Sight & Sound Theater is an astounding playhouse that has the most phenomenal staging, actors, music and themes for all audiences.
It is truly an experience beyond traditional productions.
The actors, live animals, scenery, costumes and music are at the highest level of detail and immerse the audience in a unique theater encounter.
An added bonus is the opportunity to individually pray with a team member after the performance.
Today's visit was a retirees group bus excursion.
I thoroughly enjoy the Biblical themed shows and will continue to come to Sight & Sound Theater.

I was in tears throughout it and I truly felt the presence of the Holy Spirit there as I sat there amazed the entire time! Don't forget the snow and the praise and worship of the actors to the animals even the theatrical lights are just amazing!

What a great experience!! Was there with my family on June 30th. It was well worth the drive from Toronto Canada. The theatre is so wonderfully designed and built there isn't a single seat with obstructed view. The show was amazing in every way; the props, the music, the performers.. We were in awe of the amount of effort out into it and the attention to the little details.. would definitely visit again. God bless.

We were able to get tickets for the Christmas show “Miracle of Christmas,” the day before by calling the box office for a show showing sold out online for weeks. It was absolutely incredible. Highly recommend and bring tissues! Bring some tissues as there are touching moments where you will wish you had them. The immersion of the actors and sets was phenomenal. It gives the real idea that you are there. No matter what seat you buy. We look forward to many more live productions at this location and the one in Bronson, MO. They also do have concessions and a descent gift shop. The restrooms were exceptionally clean.

Beautiful Architecture Is What Makes This Theatre Absolutely Gorgeous. The stage sets so colorful, engaging, and stunningly spectacular. The animals that are incorporated within the performance are so well trained, and wonderfully kept in terms of cleanliness and grooming, they flow so naturally within the creative theme, it is inspiring to experience. Went to see Daniel. Such an amazing performance 👏🏾 🙌🏿. Very encouraging. The animals were so well trained. The actors were so believable like I was really their. The stage crew did such an amazing job transforming from scene to scene. Everything was so professional. There are some scenes where the crew and animals may be in the isle so re-entry may be paused until floors are clear very understandable. Everyone must attend at least once in their life! My boyfriend took me for our 1 year to see Daniel. We had seats up front on the right end of the aisle. That way the animals walked right past us!! I have watched many of the plays online but it’s a totally different thing to see it in person. A group from our church went to see Daniel a week ago, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. The show was wonderfully done, the props and the stage setup was awesome, the songs were amazing, and the actors played their parts very well. I love how they include the gospel at the end of their shows and tie it in with the story. If you are debating on coming to see Daniel in person, I hope this review is enough to convince you. It’s worth the money and the drive. It truly is something worth seeing!!

I wished the show would never end. These young actors did an awesome job depicting the birth of the Son of God...all while injecting some humor and other feelings into the play. What a beautiful experience! Such lovely stories told in a wonderful broadway musical sort of way. The actors/singers did such a great job making us feel all kinds of emotions. The theatrical show itself was well done, very professional. The fact that real animals were used in the live play was total awesome. They serve candy, glazed almonds, hot dogs, nachos, and variety of hot or cold drinks. Decent prices, what you’d expect at any other play. The Strasburg Rail Road is a tourist attraction located in Ronks, PA that offers rides on old-fashioned locomotive trains. The railway cuts across the Amish country, providing passengers with beautiful views while they travel.
This place is incredible!
Everything is beautiful, calm, to enjoy, adults and children, everyone is happy. We have been with my children many times at different times of the year and we always enjoy them. The food is excellent, the people friendly, happy.
The bathrooms, something so important to me 😅, impeccable, always!
Strasburg a place that everyone should go, even if the trains don't attract you, but I think it's impossible 😂.

This is a place where you create memories; whether you are a family, or an individual. You will keep coming back. I love the trains, and the shops! This is a great attraction, and you have the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania across the road. If you are a train enthusiast, or just love history; this is the place to see. Trains represent progress, and they were a vital lifeline to many people then and now. The nostalgia is represented in the shops, and little souvenirs that you can take with you. I love seeing the excitement of people when they see the trains in action. The sights, sounds, and smell of the trains is something for sure!

45 minute ride through Amish Country.
My sister and I just got to Lancaster had a little time before check in at the red caboose and decided to do the last trip of the day which was 3 pm . Had to be there by 2:30 we made it !
We took the open air car off of the recommendations of reviews I read . So glad I did. The cool breeze, and being able to take pictures so easily . Plus, you could walk to the end of the train outside and watch how everything works. Kids really loved this area.
I think this was the perfect start for a vacation . So relaxing also after a 2 1/2 hour drive from DC.
I think if I would’ve spent a day or two driving around Amish country and then did that it might have been a little boring .
Highly recommend for families. Or anyone that’s just starting out their vacation in Amish country.

I recently visited The Strasburg Rail Road and had a great experience!
Even before arriving, I called the customer service line and received answers to my questions and insight into what to expect. The website has tons of great information as well.
We visited to take in the fall foliage and Lancaster County farm scenery. The weather was perfect, and the train ride was excellent -- with luxurious comfort seating (premium cars). They even offer drinks and snacks on the ride (45 minutes). There was a senior in my group who needed a lift onto and off the train -- they had it covered (you must let them know when you arrive).
I visited during October and the entire area was well decorated for the Fall and Halloween. I didn't have time to visit the shops and 1832 restaurant -- but I'm sure they provided great offerings as well.
The staff (at the ticket booth, the operator of the lift for the train, the snack staff onboard, and the conductors) were professional, friendly, outstanding, and accommodating.
Thank you to the entire Strasburg Rail Road Team! Truly a wonderful visit and we will be back again!

This place is amazing!! It's like traveling back in time when you ride on the train. It's very well preserved, the seats are comfortable, the train cars are clean and the staff is very friendly. It is such a great place to visit with family/friends, and little kids have a great time. They have plenty of fun activities and you can buy tickets online or at the station. I recommend checking out the website for days and times availability, and try to get there early because they are very punctual with the the departures. I only wish the ride would be longer, but it is a great experience at a very good price.

"A Day with Thomas" at Strasburg Railroad was a huge success. I recommend arriving early as you'll have access to the parking lot & closer parking. It gets busy, but it didn't seem crowded. The lines to activities & areas involving pictures were not long. The staff was all very friendly & knowledgeable of the trains & history. The train ride was beautiful & peaceful; nothing like a ride through the fields of Lancaster County.

This is a great experience for anyone of any age. It was awesome seeing the trains that are over 100 years old come down the tracks with smoke coming out from the stack. The carts have working coal stoves inside the cart itself to keep you warm. Everyone who works there is super polite and very helpful. I loved seeing the people in character, it takes you back to a much simpler time and place. There's also a small ride on locomotive for the kids and crank cars that are also alot of fun! Food prices are a little high as with any place nowadays. Right across the street from the train station is the train museum and it is awesome! If you're i to trains you'll want to visit there. Affordable price as well. $10 a person. Enjoy!

I love movies featuring historic trains, but this might be the first time I've ridden one in real life - I'm totally obsessed! This is inspired me to start seeking out other historic railroads. The 45 minute ride was educational with gorgeous view of the Lancaster County countryside, and the train cars are both comfy and beautiful. Even sitting on the shady benches waiting for the train was part of the magical experience.

Today we visited the Strasburg Railroad in Strasburg PA to take a train ride and to Santa!!! This was a surprise trip for the our 3 youngest ones. If you are planning a visit to Lancaster County PA Strasburg Railroad is a must visit. The train ride is about 45 minutes and takes you through scenic farm land. This ride included a visit with Santa and Mrs Clause (Mrs Clause was in one of the shops and not on the train ride but included with the tickets). Carolers and a brass band. My boys loved every minute of it and were smiling from ear to ear.

We had a wonderful time here. We got here an hour before our boarding time. We cam specifically for a ride with the beautiful 611. The people here were great. There was lots of enthusiasm from ever person that worked there. They termed it a dream job. The workers on the platform were very helpful and happy! We watched the second steam train come in and out. It was really neat to see. When our time came, we boarded the “ Presidential Car”! It was a Pullman Car made in our home town of Butler, Pennsylvania. The original car was absolutely gorgeous. It was built for a wealthy Philadelphia businessman. The woodworking was exquisite. It was broken down into about 5 or 6 compartments. We were able to sit in one of the smaller compartments with just enough room for two people. I can describe just how nice this suite was. We were served wine and a snack. The conductor came through checking tickets. There were so many people taking pictures of this streamlined gem of a steam train. The ride was really enjoyable. At every passing there were so many people stopped and watching the train roll by. The ride was about an hour long up the line and back. We felt we went back in time for the entire trip. Even the music they placed was from back generations ago. The 611 probably won’t be there long, but if you get a chance even to ride with the regular coal burner, go for it. You won’t regret it!

I went with my Uncle to ride the 611 before it left, the entry is free, but the train ride cost $40 per ticket - which was utterly worth the ride. This place is wonderful! I'll be returning to ride another one. The additional things this place has and the other local things that kids can do is wonderful. The gift shop, the toys-only gift shop, and the photo options and restaurant are all great additions. This place was wonderful to visit after a 3 1/2 hour drive!

I think I was about 12 when my parents first brought my sister and me to ride the train. Now we have a 12 year old grandchild! The station village is prettier than ever, the staff is helpful and goes the extra mile. This time we enjoyed our trip in one of the lounge cars. Beautiful!

A gorgeous ride, through the countryside! We chose the open air car, which I highly recommend. The train was in pristine condition, and the atmosphere, both on the train and at the station, was a lot of fun. The ride was about 15 min, in length, each way. Our favorite part of the ride was traveling through Cherry Crest Adventure Farm and exchanging waves with everyone there. Cherry Crest Adventure Farm is an incredible place, by the way, but I’ll save that for another review. ;) The only part of the train ride that disappointed my family was that the photographer aboard chose to take our family’s picture, in the town of Paradise, which is anything but picturesque. We didn’t purchase the picture because the background was awful. If the photograph had been taken in Strasburg instead, with the station as the background, or in the countryside, we would have purchased it. But, this is a minor detail, and doesn’t affect the fact that we thoroughly enjoyed the ride!

Great ride! Wonderful tour of the local countryside. Coach car was very comfortable. Looks like they have toilets on board. The coal stoves in each car work VERY WELL, according to the conductor, so winter rides should be a treat!

Was super excited to try Strasburg. It had been on my must do list for some time.
The train was quite nice. We were in a first class parlor car 88 which was not open air and had refreshment service as well as snacks. That was enjoyable. What I didn't like was I couldn't hear what the announcer was saying at all. The narrated tour was not heard. Unless you were seated right in the middle of the car it was impossible to hear. Also the ride isn't actually 45 minutes. You are on the train that long but there are times you are stopped. I guess that's protocol. It was enjoyable but not what I expected. On a side note if you have young children you may want to choose another car other than this one such as the open air. Parents of children in this car on that day were opening the windows for their children. Not a good idea and it hinders the enjoyment of the other guests on board.

The steam train is awesome, the playground is also awesome for kids. It was a great day for my grandson, wife and I. We went on a Friday and that was a good time to go. The toy store is packed with good things. I highly recommend this to any family.

We had an absolutely lovely time at Strassburg! A group of us went for the lunch train ride and had a wonderful time. The food was great, hot, and ready as soon as we boarded. The ride itself was a lot of fun with beautiful scenery and great information! The staff were just excellent and made sure we were well taken care of. It is such a great place to go to and I highly recommend anybody who has an interest in trains to go embark on this wonderful experience to all the staff for such a wonderful time and I Hope to return one day soon!

Strasburg RAIL ROAD RIDE - Diner car
$$ = about 50.00 I recommend skipping and go general admission
I had an excellent experience on the RR ride. It goes very slow so you get your 9 miles worth for the price as the views are very cool. What makes the trip worth it was the inside of the train, like you stepped back in time. Everything looks very authentic.
I paid for food service which was good; the attendant was dutiful and friendly. For the 20.00 additional, I got a wrap, chips and cookie. You had to buy soda and beverages extra which I didn't like for the lunch price.
When I go again, I will just take the regular car - no food. I found eating distracted from taking in the sites and the ride, not to mention I want to try the station cafe. I recommend bringing bottled soda or water with you.

This was a awesome experience to go on the train ride. Not only my kids was excited but me and my husband too. Its a quick ride but its all about the history how it was working before, what was around this route. Its like you experience the ride like in the movie Polar Express. Defenetly recomend this place for kids and adults.

I was on of 4 who spent a Monday at the Strasburg railroad. We had reservations for the shop tour and thoroughly enjoyed it. Our tour guide, Aaron actually works in the shop. He was so knowledgeable and happy to answer the many questions we had. Get tour tickets for this ahead of your trip ..it is worth it.
Train ride was pleasant and had a great of the beautiful amish farmland. Just the sound of a steam engine is cool.

We took our parents and grandchildren to the Santa's Paradise Express last Saturday and had an awesome experience and made great memories. Plenty of parking. The only downside was not enough handicapped parking. It was a walk. We arrived about 45 minutes before our departure like they suggested. This gave us ample time to check in, look around and grab some hot cocoa and a snack at the café. The train ride was a great experience with carolers, and Santa while enjoying the beautiful views around Lancaster. The granddaughters enjoyed themselves. When we were done we had time to get our photos and look around some more. Great memories were made! Thank you! Definitely worth the trip!

Perfectly well preserved and well taken care train and station. There are different tickets you can buy but we bought the regular coach. It was a good experience and the train took us thru rural fields and good scenery. There are other activities but was closed when we were there.

We enjoyed the “Twas The Night Before Christmas” train ride the weekend before Christmas! The train decorations were beautiful and the atmosphere cozy! Buy your tickets ahead of time to secure a ride! I give it 4 stars because it was not very clear that you needed an upgraded ticket to get. Hot cocoa with you cookies instead of milk and the order/ series of events on the train ride we’re not made clear so some times we were not sure what was going to happen. But overall a sweet Christmas experience!!

The Herr's Snack Factory Store is a visitor center that specializes in potato chips and other snacks. The family-owned business has been operating since 1946 and annually decorates their factory with beautiful Christmas lights. Highly recommend visiting to see the display! The chips are also delicious!
Beautiful family traditions are made every year because of the wonderful Christmas lights at the factory! Highly recommend going to see the light display! Thank you so much Herr’s for taking the time and money every year to decorate your factory! Our family appreciates it so much! Also their chips are delicious as well!

Family friendly, fun, and informative! You learn the history of the company, and then get a birds-eye view of working production lines. The tour takes about an hour and covers production of potato chips, pretzels, popcorn, corn puffs, and more. You see the chips go from raw potatoes to packaged products in the space of 10 minutes! Tour guide grabs some warm chips off right out of the oven for the group to munch on! Very tasty! Very well done and entertaining!

Worth the trip to see the factory tour and at the end get to taste fresh hot chips before they get packaged. Nothing taste better than fresh chips. Then you get a compliment bag of Herrs products at the exit which can vary. The gift shop has all kinds of products and they have discounted chips like you would find in an outlet store. There are Herr products that I never seen in any store. Tour is one hour and reservations are needed as the tours can sell out.

Lots of great gift ideas available. I like the reusable shopping bags filled with small snack bags, well worth the $. Bought 3 of them as gifts for my grown kids. It's nice to have the reusable bag as well. Staff was very friendly and quick. Only complaint was the hours, only open 10-4, tough getting there by 4 from work, no weekend hours. Just 1 nite stay open til 6. This will be a new Christmas tradition moving forward. I like to support a business that put up a great light show along with a nativity !!

Soild tour. You get to see all over the factory. We had a young female tour guide who was fantastic. Sampling the warm chips was very cool. Different chips are on different days, we were on a Tuesday so it was classic/flat. Wavy and ruffed are on different days. Cool experience. It starts with a history video and you walk through the whole complex with short little videos and explanations through. The tour held the attention of a group of 20 ranging from 4- adult. Definitely something you should try once. Good value for a summer trip. Bought a ton of chips in the gift shop, had may at half price due to all kinds of reasons.

Awesome tour! It was interesting to see how this chip factory runs. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. The hot chips from the line was a perfect way to end the tour! I'm not sure that it would be a tour you would need to see over and over though.

What a neat place to see. The tour last about an hour and does require stairs and walking. The walking is well worth it. The price is cheap and my family really enjoyed it. Watching how everything is made and see the employees that enjoy their jobs make it even better. During the tour you will get fresh warm chips right off of the line. THEY ARE INCREDIBLE! After the tour they have a gift shop with lots of different flavors, as well as other Herr's stuff. Nothing is over priced, and the tour its self is really reasonable priced. This is definitely a place you want to stop and support.

We had a fantastic time learning about the Herrs family and touring their Nottingham, PA factory. The tour included their pretzel lines, corn chips, popcorn, and potato chips. Of course, visitors can't enter the factory floor for safety and hygiene reasons, so the buildings are thoughtfully constructed with special tour walkways and observation areas. The best part was the end of the tour where our guide went on the floor and pulled some fresh, still warm, potato chips right out of the fryer for us to enjoy. I highly recommend visiting and was extremely impressed.

The tour was interesting. Our tour guide, Valerie was wonderful! She did a great job engaging the children on the tour, and was very friendly. She answered all our questions and was skilled at keeping everyone interested. I enjoyed the film in the beginning of the tour about the history of the family business. Of course, ending the tour with the fresh warm chips was the best part!

I did the tour in high school but didn't remember any of it. My husband and I went recently and it was so much fun, very educational. Our tour guide Emma did great. The fresh chips you get hot off the line were delicious. The little gift shop has something for everyone, but my favorite is the 'oops' section of snacks. I highly recommend a visit for a fun day trip with a beautiful scenic drive.

We all had a wonderful time on the tour. It was very well done. We loved every part of it, couldn't believe how much goes into one chip or snack. We liked it so much we would do it again. Nothing will top a chip off the assembly line snack food wise.

Fantastic!! We had a group of 9 people (7 adults/2 children) on board MV Breeze 2-hour evening cruise on 25 September 2021. The owner Steven, super personable, returned all my calls, answering all my questions, and helped me with the booking. We had a memorable time celebrating my mother’s big birthday. The weather couldn’t be better. The captain gave us some history lessons and local knowledge of the areas. The boat was very clean and drinks were great!! Cover charges and drink prices were very reasonable. There were only 2 other couples with us on this public cruise which pretty much felt “private” and we couldn’t complain. If you’re looking for some relaxation with beautiful views with friends/family, this would be it!! We would definitely return the next time we’re in the area. Thank you again Steven and all your staff!!

This is not a huge boat. It's sized for about 20 people, give or take. That makes it a much more personal experience interacting with the crew. Both the captain and the hostess were very friendly, pointing out places of interest along the way. The captain even stopped the boat so we could get pictures of bald eagles. Is recommend this for small groups or couples.

I recently had a scheduled cruise out of Chesapeake city. It was cancelled due to weather. I understand that is out of their control. What is in their control is returning phone calls and following through on refunds. I hope anyone that uses them has no issues because they don’t do customer service if you have a problem. I’m not too sure of the foul weather was the reason why we didn’t get underway either. Was told by the captain the Coast Guard issued a weather advisory. I’ve been in for about 10 years now, never heard of us doing that. NOAA handles weather advisories. Really disappointed in what was supposed to be a great evening with my wife.

The casino itself was what you would typically expect. Slots, table games. Atmosphere was nice. Facility was clean. Staff was pleasant.
This review is about the Toppers Spa.
Visited the spa with a friend and had the most terrible experience we’ve ever had while doing a spa and self care day.
We booked a morning appointment and arrived 30 mins early to check in.
We were guided to a waiting area while we waited for the nail technicians to come get us.
When we were finally greeted by the technicians, they were both very polite and pleasant throughout the entire process.
Once we got back into the spa area, my friend who is disabled had a difficult time getting into the doorway and chair because the facility is NOT handicapped accessible.
That was not the worst part. We informed the nail technicians that we had gel nail polish on our feet which required removal.
Typically a filing tool is used or foil with acetone to remove the old polish. Our technicians told us they were NOT allowed to use any special equipment or foil. What?! This meant they had to soak our feet for an entire hour!!! And MANUALLY scrape off the gel. It took forever. We ended up being there almost 2.5 hours.
That is unacceptable for a simple spa pedicure. Part of the treatment we received some time of clay and warm compress that was placed on our feet but it was messy and a bit too sticky for me.
The technicians were very nice but they did not have the tools they needed to perform the service. It’s like going to a restaurant and they have no plates or silverware. We will never go back.
Toppers was the worst pedicure experience we’ve ever had and we get pedicures at least once a month. We wanted to try something different and it was the absolute worst experience.

I want to start by saying that the staff in the hotel and casino were very kind and friendly. More concern for the rooms. We stayed in a double room for an overnight while we traveled long distances. The room was very affordable, and because of the name, we wanted to stay for cleanliness. It was clean but completely outdated. The dresser was full of scratches and peeling. The rug felt like it needed a good scrubbing and possibly removed. The mattresses would shift completely when you sat on them. Not enough pillows (understand that's a preference thing). It was the most uncomfortable bed on our journey. The pool was closed- stated until mid-June 2023. Casino was nice, and their restaurant Candy Factory had plates that were massive. Wouldn't sleep here again until the rooms had an update.

Update....
We came back the next night there were table and chairs and they had cleaned the floor. So fantastic start to taking care of concerns.
This review is in regards to Fire and Ice lounge. I live locally and would visit the lounge every weekend for live music and loved it. Covid hit. They have been closed down for 3 years. It has recently been revamped by the looks of it and reooened. They have removed the chairs. There is now a $10 cover. I don't mind the cover but when you come there and you're paying a cover you should have a seat. And the other issue is the dance floor I don't know what it's been cleaned with but it's considerably sticky and hard to dance on. Actually dancing on the carpet at our table was easier. If the floor issue isn't resolved I won't be coming back because I go there to dance.

Spent the night at the hotel... Had a nice room.. plenty of new machines, lots of table games... The only downfall especially if your staying overnight is that they only have one restaurant and no room service during the week... I feel you should at bare minimum have 2 or 3.. Also you can't get a cup of coffee before 8am and you have to go on the casino floor and flag down a waitress. The little store is gone out of the lobby so No newspaper... But we had a lovely visit just the same..

The room was okay. The food is overpriced and mediocre at best at all 3 restaurants. Went to Best Odds (formerly Sweet Perks) at 8am which is when it was to be open only to be told by the staff person in an extremely rude tone "I'm not open yet. Shooting for 8:30. I got stuff to do." Rolled her eyes, turned her back to us and went back to sweeping the floor. Never had an experience like that when it was Dover Downs. Bally's had really taken this establishment down hill. Miss the store in the lobby for quick items. Need to allow check in at anytime as long as room is ready. Sad to see one of my favorite places getting ruined like this.

The hotel rooms are decent but the water pressure in the shower is horrible. The gym has limited hours and is pretty lame, including only cardio machines and dumbbells up to 50 pounds, plus the pool is out of order. The ballroom is nice, decent spot for a business conference. Central location with lots of nearby restaurants and shopping.

Had to stay here for a business trip and my expectations were low, but I was surprised how nice and clean the rooms were and how nice the hotel was in general. My view wasn't great - a parking lot, but there are lots of rooms with views of the race track which is really nice. Also all of the restaurants were closed due to a gas and electric issue, but it wasn't exclusive to the hotel, it was town-wide and not their fault. I would definitely stay here again.

Nice low to medium star quality place to stay. I’ve stayed in the updated rooms and dated rooms. I suggest they pick up the speed on completing the rest of the renovations. Not enough kiosks for rewards cards. Lines over a half hour. Soda machines empty. Sugar factory food was just horrible. Fries were definitely old and reheated. Bread was stale. Otherwise a good selection of machines and had a good time gambling. Just gotta get lucky and find a machine that doesn’t have 20+ non-paying spins in a row. Can easily blow through $100 in minutes with a minimum net.

This was a quick overnight for us. The customer service was awesome. The older gentlemen was super helpful. The men at concierge were also very helpful. Front desk staff were nice.
My biggest issue was the $50.00 fee to check in early. That is completely ridiculous. We have stayed at very nice hotels, and resorts around the world and never experienced this. Vegas does not do this, Atlantic City does not do this. I travel for work often and never once have I had to pay to check in early. If our room is ready when we arrive, they let us in. Period. This place has a prorated early check in fee. Madness.
The rooms are really dated and the bath towels are small but it served our needs. The bed and pillows were comfy. Two mini bottles of water were in the frisge. That size was a bit odd to me. I have not seen that anywhere.
The steak place was so so. I had the surf and turf. The steak was salty and so was the lobster. My husband's 16oz was meh. The Mac and cheese was ok. The creamed spinach was good. The thick cut bacon was good but it had way too much fat on it. Like half of it was fat so we did not have much of it to enjoy. The crabcake was good, the lollipop lamb chop was good, the French onion soup was fabulous. It was my favorite dish of the night! Our waiter was awesome.
Drinks at Sugar factory were good. You can never go wrong there. Customer service was great!
We had a good time playing slots and the table games. If we are in the area again, we will likely stay here but I doubt we will make a trip specifically to visit.

Decided to visit for Christmas Eve this way and was pleasantly pleased. I had not been to this location in almost 10 years and was surprised at how well the property has been kept up.
Rooms:
Very well maintained and cleaned to perfection. The only negative is the quality of the mattress and bedding.
Restaurants:
Good customer service and quick even with it being a major holiday. Everyone was so pleasant. New additions of restaurants offer good choices
Casino:
As a gambler I was pleased with the casino game selections. They have all of the current hot games as well as some of the older games left for those of us who enjoy them. Overall great stay and will return

I live 30 minutes away and visit the Casino occasionally. First time staying at the hotel. Had no problems and a wonderful time. Although it would be good if they could give me inside info on winning in the casino:). Everything was good to great and we will do this again. Trackside room was really cool if you are a NASCAR fan, although this was not a race weekend.

The rooms are a bit dated, their offerings inside the casino offer essentially nothing besides gambling. What makes it a resort if there's nothing to do lol. I requested to checkout early because the neighbors next to my room were loud, the shower had hair all inside it, and on top of that there was nothing to enjoy besides slot machines. I requested to checkout early because I was not happy and received the run around from front desk staff for over 3 hours before just giving up and leaving.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for two nights in March 2024 while looking at property in Delaware. We enjoy casinos and decided to stay here as it is centrally located to our other destinations. We found the staff at registration unfriendly and unhelpful. We arrived about 40 minutes ahead of check-in time and were told that it was too early but that we could check-in if we wanted to pay a fee for early check-in. I understand this policy and most hotels and resorts enforce such a rule. We arrived 40 minutes early, not 2 or 3 or more hours early. They made no offer to hold our luggage which meant if we wanted to go into their casino we had to return to our car with our luggage. They have a policy of no backpacks or luggage in the casino. Again, this is understandable but their customer service is seriously lacking and unfriendly. We have visited and stayed at casinos around the world but would probably not bother to visit this one again. Not hospitable.

We have been going to Dover casino for over 20 years. We always loved it there until it was taken over by Ballys. So much has changed. Here are a few: no free drink stations. You have to pay for bottles in a vending machine. Really? How cheap can you get? No buffet. In fact, no restaurant lunch service until after 2:00 during the week. Slot machines are more expensive here then the same machines in other casinos. Casino and restrooms are not nearly as clean as they used to be. Where are the perks for playing there? I used to get free play money and table vouchers. Nothing now except 5 or 10 dollars. The staff is not friendly. They seem to be miserable doing their jobs. This USED to be our favorite casino. Luckily, there are others to visit.

Machines rigged up bad to take your money..stay away . Im never going back there again. Have better luck in Harrington Casino...Bally Casino has really gone down . Not even free drinks anymore. Lied bout my free play to get me there. That place not it no more. Sucks!

My husband and I decided that we needed a little vacation. So we checked into Billy's for a mid week getaway. We had a great time. They had a nice breakfast spot that serves breakfast until 1. The downside was that not all of their restaurants were open mid week, and their hot tub and pool were not open. But it's located in Dover and there are many places to dine. While I don't gamble, my husband does. It was a great little vaca.

Recommended destination for decent gambling and hotel rooms. Deluxe king room was clean and spacious. No microwave but did have a mini fridge. Local access to everything within a couple of miles. Walking distance to fast food if you don’t want to blow your wad on in house dining. Huge variety of slots. Some table games. Robo roulette and craps. NON SMOKING! Small section of smoking slots outside. Free outdoor parking with valet on the weekends.

I did not stay at the hotel. I can only speak on experience with the hotel staff for a birthday celebration that I attended on last Friday. They were pleasant and accommodating. The bar staff, Ashley and Becky, were very generous with the drinks. We all got some laughs in and I like that they weren't just all business and no fun. Who I am assuming to be the event manager (?) went above and beyond to have her staff search for some crackers. I'm so sorry I forgot your name but THANK YOU, again! The food was good. The bathroom was clean. It was a bit of a walk to the ballroom but the place is HUGE. I do look forward to visiting again and staying on the property.
Christiana Mall is a large shopping venue that features popular brand-name stores, a food court, and various sit-down restaurants. It also boasts a movie theater for entertainment. The mall has ample parking space with a big parking lot to accommodate visitors. One of the main highlights is the huge Target store which is conveniently located on one floor along with other cool stores. Brio Italian Grille restaurant comes highly recommended for its amazing cuisine. The mall maintains high standards of cleanliness and upkeep throughout its premises.
I found the mall to be very well maintained and clean. There are nice eateries in the food court and has all the shops you need for shopping and spending the day at the mall. They also have 8-10 EV car charging stations by Volta for the convenience of electric car owners. Overall a great experience.

Our to go Mall for over 12 years now. It’s not too crowded and there is a great amount of store. The parking is big but finding a spot close to one of the entrance can be challenging. The food court and the mall hallways are very clean.

A really nice mall, stopped at halfway between home and our destination. For a weekday, it was well attended with shoppers. A clean, well lit mall still holding flagship and small chain stores sustaining a respectful shopping atmosphere. I love this mall, tax free, a lot of stores, and easy to get around. They have a Awesome food court. Plenty of options, like Chinese, Italian, Chipotle, McDonald's, sweet desserts from Ms Fields, Auntie Annie, Cinnabon. Everything in this mall seems up to date and new looking. I would definitely go again.

Great mall! The parking lot is really big so there's plenty of space. The Target is huge and it's nice. There's a lot of cool stores and everything is all on one floor so there's no going up and down levels. There's a food court and a couple of restaurants throughout. We went to Brio Italian Grille which I would highly recommend, it was amazing! The mall is nice and clean inside.

Stores were clean and organized, the food court is always doing well and has such a wide variety which is great to see. Barnes and Noble was awesome and I enjoy browsing the different tables. Parking is ample, but you will most likely need to walk a bit to get into the mall, so just be prepared for a lot of walking!

I take an hour drive, from New Jersey to visit this mall. The mall is always clean, has a pretty good food court. It also, has very clean bathrooms that are very well taken care of. There are a lot of stores, especially stores my mall doesn't even have. Definitely recommend going to this mall. It also has plenty of shopping centers around it. There should not be nothing you can't find at this mall or it's surroundings area. I will always continue to visit this mall, it's one of my daughter's favorite malls.

This mall is very much unlike the Salisbury Mall. There were many ways to get around like elevators and escalators. There were plenty of attractions for the kids to. A candy shop, a LEGO store, and plenty of places to eat. I had pizza at their pizza place for got what the name was... then kids ate Chick-fil-A. Even a Target was connected, too. Easily a 5 star review. Couldn't get pictures though, except one in the TESLA store. Look below.

Mega shopping mall in state of Delaware with over 100 retail stores! Main benefit is you can do tax free shopping as Delaware state has no sales tax. Ample parking and food courts available as well.
Has a Apple store as well which is great for tax free shopping of apple products!!!!!!!!

A fine mall. Many stores that are found in other malls with a few stores that are hard to find in “brick and mortar” form like Garage and Cotton On. The food court is sufficient and the mall is overall clean. Not the best mall in America but it does the job.

Longwood Gardens boasts an extensive assortment of lively blooming gardens, a greenhouse and water fountain displays in addition to classes for students. Its breathtaking views are stunning all year long. Visitors can opt for a yearly membership after experiencing the beauty of this place firsthand. A one-time entry fee can be applied towards the annual subscription, which provides access to exceptional live music performances at their outdoor restaurant seating area.
Wow, what an amazing experience! We went courtesy of tickets from a friend and ended up getting the annual membership for 5 since we enjoyed it so much and wanted to share the experience with family and friends. Everything was beautiful even during their winter season. We're looking forward to seeing the fountains in action and everything in full bloom when the weather gets nicer. For this time of the year, it was very busy but didn't feel crowded due to size of their grounds. Very rich with history and amenities galore! Lots of food and adult and child beverage choices as well. Very easy to navigate paths and trails for all ages. Excellent signage and maps to navigate your way. The staff were all very friendly and helpful! Highly recommended!

The most exited place I've ever been this year. This Botanical garden with incredible flowers and plants were amazing experience. So many varieties of trees 🌳. So man flowers that I have never seen before. Fountain ⛲️ show also was incredible, lots of good emotions and memories from it. So if you like nature, flowers and plants come and visit. You better come here in the morning 🌄 so not to get burn under the sun. Bring hat and sun's cream to protect yourself. Lots of pictures 📸 from here will be our good memories

My sister surprised me with a visit here a couple weeks ago and the entire area is beautiful. We walked around and visited everything in about 2 hours and then saw the early fountain show which was very cool. The late one is supposed to be much better but we couldn’t stay. They have a very nice dining area that we walked through but didn’t eat at and they also had live music playing when we went. A gorgeous place to visit if you like plants and the outdoors.

Wow. Simply amazing...
Not sure there is much more I can say that others haven't. There is a reason this place has so many reviews and a rating this high. This is the best botanical garden I have ever been to and I've seen a lot. The conservatory by itself is amazing let alone the other features of the place including the old trees, the various fountains, the treehouses, the train and the historical building on site. I don't think one day is enough to truly experience this place and if I lived closer I would have a membership in a heartbeat. I'm truly impressed by this place and cannot recommend it enough.
Stop reading reviews and go see it, it's spectacular.

Went for the Christmas lights and it did not disappoint. The trees were beautifully decorated and there was even a fountain show that was both colored and synced to music. It was very cold, but they were selling hot chocolate that was actually really good, which warmed me up nicely. Also make sure to check out the gift shop, as it was full of not only unique plants but beautiful Christmas ornaments, candies, clothing, and decorations.
All of that was cool, but by far the best part of the place is the Conservatory. It is a massive, stunning building on both the outside and inside. It looked like a rainforest inside, and with the addition of the lights, it felt almost surreal. They also had a 10,000-pipe organ, which is one of the biggest in the world, playing itself and adding to the ambiance. You can walk behind it and see many of the pipes, some of which are almost as tall as the building itself. It’s pretty awesome.

Beautiful display, colorful flowers, the weather was perfect. First time visiting and it was a great experience. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. What makes it more unique is we also watched the solar eclipse there. ♥️ We stayed around for 4 hours and saw almost everything. It was also great to know the history of the garden and the buildings.

Beautiful every season of the year. You will not be disappointed. Initially we did a quick trip to visit not necessarily planning to return. However, we enjoyed it so much that we decided to get a year membership. Appreciated that our one time entrance fee that day could be used towards our yearly membership. Quality musician performances are an added bonus when relaxing for a bite to eat and drink at their outdoor restaurant seating.

What a beautiful place! Yes, there's construction going on in one area but it doesn't distract from the whole gardens. Definitely bring your walking shoes and a folding chair. You will walk a lot but it's so worth it. Your chair is for when you sit and watch the fountain show, which is a definite must do.
The Idea Garden is beautiful and so were the dahlias that were in bloom. Beauty is everywhere and the benches are placed to sit, rest your feet, and enjoy it all.
We hit every area and enjoyed it all. My favorite was the Fountain show and different Lights show that are around the property. My only issue was not enough trash cans. We didn't want to miss anything so we picked up drinks and a snack and kept walking around. Then we were carrying our empty containers for quite a bit before we found a trash can to dispose of it properly.
All in all..... a terrific day with beautiful night time shows to end it. Definitely a must see. If close enough, become a member!

We always love coming to Longwood Gardens. We have been there for the Christmas lights and plan to go back this winter but we were recently there in the summer. This is a wonderful place to visit no matter what age. It is definitely a lot of walking and completely worth it. It is handicap accessible. I can't say enough about how beautifully kept Longwood Gardens is and how much love and time goes into every area. The staff members are very knowledgeable and inspiring. They even go the distance and offer to take pictures of you and your family and tell you what is the best angle and place to stand. You can tell that they really like working there. The tree houses are neat especially if you have younger children. The conservatory is breathtaking. There are so many beautiful plants that we wouldn't have ever seen in person. They are currently building an expansion! I can't wait to see it finished.

Since moving away, It's been years since I have been here. When i left PA, they were starting some major renovation, I have been keeping up with the progress online and on U-tube. It was really nice to see it finally to see it in person. We went on Monday morning when it first opened and it was busy. The gardens are still beautifully done. I can't wait for the renovation to be completed.

Longwood Gardens is a popular spot for many, and for good reason! My wife and I are wedding photographers and we shoot engagements at Longwood often. There is no shortage of fantastic photo spots here, especially as they continue to build onto the gardens and continue to improve the grounds. Not only is it a great location for photos, but it's an excellent family destination or for a fun date day/night. There's a cafe, a sit-down restaurant, and they often hold shows, concerts, and other events for entertainment. The staff are all very friendly and helpful, and there's always more to see! 10/10!

First time seeing the Holiday Lights at Longwood Gardens. We weren't disappointed. Our entry time was at 9PM, which only gave us 2 hours to check it out. We had enough time to see the displays, but wish we had at least one more hour. Next year we'll buy our tickets earlier and spend more time.
Very impressive light displays. The Conservatory was amazing with the various Christmas tree themes and fragrances from the flowers.

We had a wonderful visit! You could spend an entire day exploring the grounds or choose shorter loops. We stayed a little over 4 hours. Most of the walking was very easy and can accommodate a stroller easily. We enjoyed a great lunch in the cafe (although pretty pricey), had great interactions with staff, and loved exploring the interior and exterior options! I felt like a large amount of time had shade available which is appreciated.

Beautiful garden grounds with an absolutely astonishing collection of flowers, trees, bushes, cacti. Hard to choose a favorite part - everything is just amazing! You definitely don't want to miss the blooming flower beds in the spring & the conservatory with its green wall! Visiting Longwood Gardens is my most memorable visit of all botanical gardens & arboretums.
Reservations are required & limited during spring blooms. Make sure to book your visit in advance not to be turned away. Entrance fees aren't very cheap (comparable to many other arboretums & botanical gardens) but here it's very well worth it!!!
There's a nice beer garden area adjacent to a cafe - great for taking a break between roaming the grounds for hours at a time. The cafe is pricey & I can't vouch for the food taste & quality. They have a few craft beers on tap in the beer garden + canned beer & bottled wine in the cafe. There's also a few soda machines.
The one little thing I wish they improved was more trash bins in the park. I didn't see a single trash can for over an hour, while walking through the right half of the park.

Fantastic time here with coworkers, family, and friends. The water show they have is not only mesmerizing but it's scenic in ways you so choose by changing where you are watching. Whether you're right up close to the jets, near the pathway formed with trees parallel to each other, by the botanical garden or near the benches outside the gallery/museum entrance - you're sure to enjoy the view. There's also a super cute orange and white cat around the garden sometimes!

Its simply another world to see. A world of trees and plants. Took me 4.30 hours to finish the most parts of it, from the fountain to the meadow, walked about 5 miles. Do some research before visit, bring enough food and drinks, hat, sunglasses etc. I guarantee it will be a memorable tour of your life. Couldn’t believe my eyes that man could build something like this.

What a lovely way to spend the afternoon, the theme this year was retro. I have to admit I enjoyed the fire and ice display even more last year. With that said.. My time spent appreciating the beautiful grounds, architecture wonders and attention to detail was outstanding. The gardens were packed with people which is nice to see so many of us all appreciating the lights and the plants. The cafe was a mad house. We were all packed in there like sardines. The cream of mushroom soup is tasty, and the battered french fries so good. The orchid room, and the Elm trees are definitely amongst my favorites. Always clean bathrooms available. Definitely worth the trip to experience what the winter season has to offer.

We caught the spring bloom at its peak. Including the blue poppies and the century agave that’s about to bloom for the first time in 20 years. We had to dodge raindrops, so the café tent and the conservatory were great places to stay dry. The docents seem to magically appear anytime you had a question and are so knowledgeable. The entire facility is wheelchair friendly. There are a couple of paths that had steps, and we had to go a little further to find the wheelchair path, but it all worked.
As someone who has regular access to the Biltmore Estate, we found Longwood Gardens even more amazing and as an aside, more affordable.

The Winterthur Museum, Garden and Library is a picturesque estate with period rooms showcasing historic decorative arts. It boasts a 60-acre botanical garden that offers breathtaking views of colorful flora. Visitors can park for free on the premises and take a shuttle to explore the garden if they prefer not to walk. The main building houses a museum featuring numerous exquisitely crafted wall decorations and historical pieces that visitors can photograph but not videotape during guided tours.
Beautiful. Parking is free and big space. There’s shuttle provided if you don’t feel like walking through the garden. I walked and it was amazing view we went there when the flowers are all blue and colorful. Loved it. There was museum or the main building which comprises of tons of nicely crafted wall decorations and historical pieces. They let you take pictures but not videos as to not disturb guided tour. What a delightful place to visit! I suggest taking the thirty minute guided tram tour through the property in order to have a better idea of all that Winterthur offers. I didn’t have the opportunity to tour the home as it was a last minute trip and so no reservations were available, but will return another day. The grounds were absolutely beautiful and gave my husband and I a workout as we walked through the various gardens. My favorite was the whimsical Enchanted Woods. Visited the museum and the Jacqueline Kennedy exhibit. You can bring a picnic lunch or dine at the on-property cafe. Overall a wonderful place to spend the afternoon and prices were reasonable ($22) Adults, ($20) Seniors and Students, ($8) children (under 2) free. We were told that during the spring season, various flowers and bushes are in full bloom. Will be back!

Winterthur is a day long visit and requires a lot of walking stairs and hills. You should be fit for it or do it over two days. If you drive there and have people who cannot walk a lot drive to the visitor center and drop them off. From there they can take the shuttle to the house. Parking lot is a bit far and is a bit of a challenging walk for people who can’t walk far and steadily to get to the visitor center where you must go first to check in whether or not you have tickets. Best way is buy general admission get there about 10:30 for the self guided house tour and a gallery tour on the upper floors of the house. Take the shuttle from the house to the cafe and Eat lunch take the shuttle back to the house and do the more to explore tour and the closer look tour. These enhance your visit and you get to see floors not available for general admission. If you want to tour the grounds then this is a two day tour. The guides are conservationist students and knowledgeable docents and well versed in the many artifacts kept in this house. This house only exists now as a repository for the collections of Henry DuPont. This is a terrific way to explore American collections of furniture and art and crafts. Well worth the price, do consider being a member if you have a family going and are buying the general admission tour the more to explore tour and the closer look tour. I strongly recommend both the More to Explore and Closer Look tours for the most rewarding visit.

If I lived closer, I guarantee you that I would buy a year pass!! This was my first visit here as I was enjoying a two week road trip last May. My husband and I went, expecting to maybe spend a couple hours and then stayed all day! We road the tram- lovely gentlemen gave us a great tour. We took the house tour- friendly hosts in each room to explain and answer questions...beautiful and interesting! We walked the galleries, Dupont was such an amazing collector, so much to see! BUT, my favorite. The gardens!! In May the azaleas were in bloom. I have never in my life seen so many, paths crossed other paths through Azalea Woods. Spectacular. These gardens were also designed so that something new was blooming every three weeks. Wow, this is a must experience!

We've had the pleasure of touring several estates and this was one of the best experiences yet. I highly recommend it.
The grounds are beautiful and could be an attraction in and of themselves. Be sure to spend time in the Enchanted Woods!
The self-guided house tour is the least informative of all the tours available, but still provided a wealth of information due to the educated and friendly docents.
Du Pont was an avid collector so every room on the tour is not only lovely, but every item has a history - even the floors, fireplaces, and wallpaper!
In addition to the house and grounds, you should also look at the gallery, the soup tureens, and the cottage. You can spend a full day here!
I could go on and on, but suffice it to say this is worth your time. Please do yourself a favor and visit!
Free parking. Free tram. Restrooms scattered throughout. Self-guided tour is very informative. Other tours available, but plan ahead. Tickets can be purchased online or onsite.

Spectacular house and grounds. The size of the house is quite impressive and it is well maintained. You only walk through the fourth and fifth floors on the self guided tour but what you see is splendid. It is a collection of furniture that the du Pont owner collected during his life with the intent of turning it into a museum. There are staff in each room that are friendly and knowledgeable. There are a ton of paths to walk around in the property and there is also a museum with exhibits that rotate. Even the gift shop is impressive.

We love coming to won’t see the mansion and gardens. However Covid killed the Manson tour. Yo they offer small private tours throughout the house at an extra cost. We rode the tram for the gardens tour and it was great! The team guide gave us a great deal of information. You can spend a lot of time walking around the different gardens. The quarry garden is cool and there are benches everywhere to enjoy everything. They even have a kids fairy garden with little houses and a giant birds nest the kids can walk in. There is a 250+ giant sycamore tree and tree whose beaches hit the ground that you can sit under on a bench.

Talk about taking a step into history. This place is amazing. The grounds are gorgeous, even in winter and the buildings are so intriguing. If you love nature and also looking at some amazing architecture, this is your place. The staff here is very knowledgeable and they make it very easy to explore. Ton of parking. Take the tram ride for some great insights.

The museum and house are very interesting and worthwhile. There are different exhibits in the museum, some of which rotate theoughout the year. The house was decorated for Christmas this time of year which was great to see. Also, the gift shop has a large variety of gifts and items.
The gardens and trails are expansive and beautiful.
You will need a day pass, or season pass, to see the museum, house, trails, gardens, and gift shop.

This can be an outdoor or indoor visit. If walking is an issue there is a bus to take you around the grounds and to the house. If you need to you can drop guests off at the entrance building then park your car. The grounds are lovely but it's also worth keeping an eye on special exhibits.

Around Christmas time it’s magical everywhere because of the decorations and festive feelings thus most of the museums look different and you can’t give ordinary reviews. I came to visit Winterhur Museum, Garden and Library on a rainy day and unfortunately I couldn’t walk around the property which is huge, so I used transfer bus that is provided free of charge. Right now the castle has exhibition dedicated to African-American designer Ann Lowe, her work presented in the gallery. It’s really a lot to see if you want to spend 2-3 hours here. This place is not so crowded as Longwood gardens (especially now Christmas time) so you can enjoy yourself wondering around.

A must see if you are in the region particularly in Spring when the plethora of flora are on spectacular display. There are over half a million daffodils to relish and plentiful sweet viburnum, quince, Sargent Cherry, rhododendron and azalea to me a few.

Love this place so much! I make a habit of stopping by at least once or twice a month, if just to enjoy the nature scenery. Even disregarding the wonderful self-paced tour of the building, the grounds are well-kept and beautiful all-year round (all photos are from late October 2023, so imagine all this but in the middle of spring ; the worth of the paths and trails speaks for itself.)
Staff are knowledgeable and friendly, facilities are well maintained, the exhibits are compelling (my favorite one so far is the Ann Lowe exhibit,) and combine that with the Museums for All system (of which Winterthur is a part of,) coming here is giving yourself access to among the best museums/nature walks in the Delmarva area. Heavily suggest stopping by!
This 7,730-acre park offers forests, lakes, wetlands, hiking trails, campsites & picnic areas.
We came here for New Years as it was one of the only campgrounds around that was open at the time. They open 1 loop only and by the time we showed up 97% of the loop was booked. The campground was clean. Bathrooms were open and operational. They were warm and the showers were nice and hot. Some spots little closer to each other, other a bit more spaced out. Not sure if it was due to a holiday but when we were there the campground was self operational. No one was at the front. We did see some maintenance crew come through and a ranger but only once. No wood or or any type of store at the campground. But there arw locals selling wood right at the entrance of the park $5/bundle. The park also offers very nice group sites that are more private during regular season. It has a lake and a playground. A hole lot of hiking trails all around. We even noticed some tent campsites right off the trails. Over all its a very nice park at a very reasonable rate we will definitely come back here during summer time

A park that still preserves its soul. My family and I were able to enjoy this spectacular nature reserve. Excellent parking area, clean restrooms, plenty of picnic tables and activity areas. Remember to pick up your trash, respect the privacy of other visitors and the fragility of nature.

Rented kayaks and spent some time on the lake. Plenty of room for all water activities and so peaceful. Kayak rentals are reasonably priced and the staff launch you into the lake. Will be returning next year!

Absolute gem of a state park. We camp here all the time, the campground is great - well maintained, clean bath houses, friendly hosts, and good amenities.
There are a ton of hiking and multi-use trails, a great pool, and decent fishing on the two lakes. We love it here.

Beautiful park! I love checking out this park when I am passing through Pennsylvania, and it never disappoints! It's a great place for hiking, kayaking and a picnic lunch :) Even in the winter it is a beautiful place to get outside and explore!

We went for overnight camping at the park. The park is clean and the camp sites are marked clearly and were clean. There are enough trees between two camp sites to you some privacy. The crowd was also good - all families. The bathrooms were also clean and well located. There is a nice lake nearby where you can go fishing during the day. There are a lot of good trails for an active morning or evening bike ride or a stroll.

It's a very nice state park with access to Hopewell Lake, campgrounds, a swimming pool, boat rentals, picnic tables with BBQ grills throughout the park, many playgrounds and ample parking throughout the park.
There are many hiking and horseback trails. In fact, we hiked to Hopewell Furnace National Historic Site and back (about 4.5 miles round trip).

Kind of near the house, so we spent some time there. Good points: picturesque in the woods, the Big Wood, envelops Hopewell national historic site, lots of trails to explore, two lakes to fish and boat in, boat rentals and the bath houses have clean bathrooms and showers thanks to the amazing maintenance crew, Amphitheater but only Saturday Ranger programs. The pool was closed, You cannot drive your car up to your site off the driveway to pick up your stuff or drop it off, no pets allowed, very difficult registration process and the ranger is very rude, intrusive and accusatory making me not want to camp there; you can only park one car per campsite and then you have to walk to the parking area and pay five dollars for every extra car, expensive camping sites. 2 1/2 ⭐️

The only rhing I didn't like this year was that I saw 5 different cats. I love cats, and thought the first one musr be lost. But it's definitely not the caae. They are breeding here.
I saw several dead birds in the bird field next to the park office, and the little chipmunks were being stalked near our cabin. Traditionally, chipmunks are everywhere in the cabin area.
I reported it so I hope they trap the cats and find a humane animal shelter so they can live in a warm home, and the critters can fly and run freely.
This park is clean and offers many things to do both in the park and locally. Fishing was great! Walmart, Lowes, and gift stores in close proximity with lots of back road driving.
We'll be back and hopefully the chipmunks will be too, and the cats will be gone.

Hopewell Lake is great to take your kayak out on. Whether you're fishing or not, this is a beautiful body of water. The water is just crystal clear (at least when I was there). In the shallower areas you can see to the bottom and watch all the little fish and other water creatures swimming around. The lily pads are beautiful and look like there would be lots of bass and other fish to catch there. Definitely recommend getting out there!

Love this park! It's beautiful with lots of trails and usually not crazy crowded. The modern cabins are nice and the camping is okay, although not much privacy. I actually got married at the outdoor classroom and they were wonderful to work with. Highly recommend for all sorts of activities!

What a lovely and unique place! This was a fun educational visit for a Sunday afternoon walk! The park is huge and there is an abundance of parking throughout. There are paved trails as well as unpaved, marked trails through the wooded areas which have an added bonus of designated disk golf areas which is super fun! (Disks not provided) The parks are dog friendly and also have playgrounds for kids and a large selection of picnic tables and a giant pool near the lake. There are designated docks for boating and fishing around the lake as well. You can also camp in the designated camping areas. My favorite part of this park however was the old village! You can walk inside every building and they're staged and everything! The old coal well and the water wheel were just the coolest. I think this would be an amazing place to bring kids of all ages just to explore together or even just by yourself! It's a great spot that is a multi-visit site!
Brandywine River Museum of Art is a museum that was once a gristmill and showcases works by famous artists such as Howard Pyle, N.C. Wyeth, Andrew Wyeth, and Jamie Wyeth. The museum has big windows that offer scenic views of the surrounding area. It is located in a historic region close to other notable attractions like Longwood Gardens and Brandywine Battlefield.
Brandywine River Museum of Art is 5 Stars all the way: It houses 3 generations of Wyeth art (N.C., Andrew & Jamie); A spectacular building; Generally historic area. It's close to Longwood Gardens, Winterthur, Brandywine Battlefield.
Brandywine River flooded in September 2021, forcing Museum to close. Museum is now reopened.
Always a fan of Andrew Wyeth but had no idea of the breadth of Wyeth family's work until visiting this Museum. The concentration of works is portraits of farm workers, farm life. Paintings are stunning, capturing the essence of the person/scene.
If you're a fan of Art, History, Architecture, don't miss this one!

This museum is a rare treasure. It has an excellent collection of local art, especially from the Wyeths, well-curated and displayed in a handsome building on lovely grounds. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. The temporary exhibit was quite interesting, and of course I also enjoyed the charming model train display. The museum is the perfect size, neither too large nor too small, and you can comfortably see everything in a reasonable amount of time. To top it all off, the food from the museum cafe is surprisingly good. I’m always happy to make the trip.

A memorable and enriching experience. The Brandywine River Museum takes you on a journey into the art work of the Wyeth family and many other artists. This wonderful three story building has well over 1000 pieces of art displayed beautifully in large spacious and comfortable rooms that allows guest to truly enjoy their experience. There is staff available throughout the museum and are very cordial and polite. Currently the museum is showcasing self-taught artistist in America entitled Gatecrashers! Artist include the Wyeths, Grandma Moses, Norman Rockwell, John Kane, Horace Pippin and many more. The museum has a great gift shop that is stocked with books about the artists and the art movement. As well as, NC Wyeth illustrated copies of children's classics. There was also a nice little Cafe that provides drinks and lite snacks.
A truly magical place to come learn about the history and changes that took place in the American society and the art world.

The museum is quite small and curates almost exclusively the artworks of the Wyeth’s. That being said, I was quite surprised how popular the museum was on the day of our visit.
I learned a lot about N.C. Wyeth, the renowned illustrator in the early 1900’s, along with multiple generations of his descendants, including Andrew Wyeth, who also became accomplished artists. What’s most interesting is that he’s a student of Howard Pyle whom I am familiar with. Making such a connection made the visit a lot more interesting. Unfortunately, the top floor was closed during our visit, making the small exhibit even smaller.
There is the Millstone café but you have to walk through the museum gift shop to get there. It has a panoramic view of the creek.
There is a walking path behind the the museum along the creek. You can find a few sculptures along the way which you don’t want to miss. Across the "campus" are the Wyeth Studio and the Conservancy but neither is open for access.
There are enough free parking, even on a busy weekend day. There is also additional parking area with attendant who collects fees for creek parking, but is free for museum visitors.

We had a fantastic time at the museum. My three teenage boys loved it. The art there is so beautiful. Prior to the visit I asked my kids to look up N.C., Andrew and Jamie Wyeth to see which artist's style that they liked the best and why. It was really interesting to hear their answers and seeing them locate some of their favorite artist's works and paintings that they had not seen yet was really cool. The staff are super nice. The gift shop is large and has something for everyone. There are sitting areas that have an amazing view of the Brandywine through a wall of glass. The grounds look beautiful and you can walk around them and picnic there but we didn't do that on our visit because it was very hot that day. I found out that they rotate some of their art and while we were there one of the rooms was closed for maintenance. They also have trains and other things that are set up for Christmas so we are excited to go back!

Great regional art museum. We visited to see the seasonal Brandywine Railroad train display. Really impressive. Perfect for kids of all ages. Enjoyed the galleries as well. They had a temporary exhibit on children's book illustration that was quite good. The permanent exhibits are also very interesting and show the influence of the Wyath family on art traditions. Nice cafe and gift shop. Beautiful grounds as well. Plan at least a couple hours for a visit.

Perfect local museum in a bucolic area. Driving to it on a rainy early spring day I understood why there is this particular mood in Wyeth's paintings. The views on the creek are just great. Nice cafeteria and giftshop.

A beautiful example of converting an old building into a contemporary museum. I have visited twice in the past year and each time found new art to admire. There are spaces for quiet contemplation; honestly just looking at the building is a delight in itself. The docents are friendly and informative. The displays are rotated regularly so there is always something new to admire. The gift shop has a good selection of items at different price points and the cafe is lovely. If the weather is nice don't hesitate to stroll the grounds and even hike a little bit on the trails. The outdoor sculptures are a lot of fun.

This is a beautiful museum. They have an exhibit right now about Andrew Wyeth. Also there a really nice gift shop. The museum itself is like a piece of art. The setting is gorgeous. This place is definitely more geared for adults and children. You can view the whole thing about an hour to an hour and a half.

Art by the Wyeth family, Howard Pyle, Normal Rockwell, Grandma Moses, Claude Monet and on and on. As a huge fan of NC Wyeth's Illustrative artwork, this was a pilgrimage of sorts for me. His house and studio tour was welcome, though very light, and for my interests far too weighted toward the history of his children and utterly lacking in any information on his techniques, materials, choices, etc. I was glad to stand where he stood, and happy for the members of the group who wanted the info about his children, but all in all I was rather disappointed. Glad I went, if for no other reason than the opportunity to view a large number of his paintings in person, where I learned by looking at them quite closely.
I walked in appreciative of Andrew's work, but left a true fan. Wow. Using pencil, watercolor and tempera, and generally a palette of sepia and grey tones, the control and sheer artistry on display absolutely blew me away. Again, WOW.
In short, definitely worth the visit, just understand the studio and house tours are not at all in depth. The museum itself is wonderful and worth every minute and penny.

Great little museum about 45 minutes from Philly. A nice permanent collection and they have interesting visiting exhibitions as well. Perfect amount of art for those who can't spend long in a museum (e g., kids...) and it is nestled in the Brandywine valley so you can pair a visit with some outdoor time.

Beautiful and small museum worth a look. The river runs next to the museum. Clean and lovely cafe. Works of Wyeth prevalent. This museum can be seen in under an hour. We spent around two hours here.
I have a joint ROAM/NARM membership and I got in for free. I believe you need just roam or narm. They are the reciprocal museum agreements for North America. You don't need both. I paid $20 for my friend.

We really enjoyed our visit. Wonderful exhibit of Andrew Wyeth watercolors that I wish could remain on display permanently. Inspired views of the river from the floor to ceiling windows. Food at the Cafe was surprisingly good ( but I would have liked to not see all the disposable packaging and utensils). Parking was easy this time of year (winter) but I remember it can be a challenge in the summer.

We went to see the Christmas train exhibit, which was awesome. But the room was too dark and way too small. The layout was poor, too. My grandson, who loves trains, wanted to leave within an hour. I think he was getting claustrophobic.

DO NOT SUPPORT!!! My brother and I came here to have some fun and grab a bite to eat. We were playing in high limit and cashed out however unlike most casinos any free play you transfer stays on the machine even if you pull your card out. We came immediately back and another player had sat down and used the free play. Not only did he admit it he was quite rude about it. At first security was more than happy to help us promising action Shane not only was it wrong but they did not tolerate this type of behavior especially because it was on camera and there were no questions. Then to upper level managers got involved and everything changed we were told it was our fault and no action will be taken. I understand claiming abandoned stop play however if it was reversed we would have been kicked out and banned for life and police would be involved this is what we were told. I am not a high roller here I very rarely if ever come here however I am at three other casinos I encourage everyone to never come and support that kind of behavior what is wrong is wrong and shouldn't matter if you have money or not. Supporting that type of behavior leads to broken societies where cash out weights character. If it is wrong for one is wrong for all. The other two security guards apologized profusely saying they really wish they could do something. I thank them both and told them that I respected their character however I have no respect for their bosses and will not put a single dollar into any slot and I suggest you do the same.

My husband and I decided to visit Harrah's in Chester, Sunday, April 3. We wanted to have lunch there and do a little gambling. Lunch was tasty and we had a very nice server who went out of her way to accommodate our requests. The slots were extremely cold and we quickly lost a lot more money than expected. We were there for only two hours and don't plan to return anytime soon. They do have a large number of interesting machines and the casino was packed so some people must be having better luck than we did.

All in all, excellent time and I Highly recommend checking it out, I'll definitely go back.

I visited the casino on Dec.30 and the only reason I would visit again is because of Mr Blackard (security). He was kind, friendly and attentive of my needs. I really am appreciative of his willingness to help, listen and assist me during my visit. He desires recognition by all means.
. Lastly, the amenities were truly lacking, ex: no floor attendants were available to even serve beverages, no cafe was open to purchase food items , and the vending machines were not working . It seems that this casino is not accommodating to people, especially when you drive over 90 miles to visit I’m 🙏🏾 things will improve!!!

I’ve been to a few casinos and this is without a doubt the worst casino I have been to. The slot I was playing on broke and it took over 20 minutes to get someone to help despite the place being essentially empty. They removed my player card and lost me a tier credit while being rude and not apologizing for anything. No drink comps as well at the casino bars, which is essentially unheard of in Pennsylvania. Many of the slot and video poker machines had buttons that don’t work. Save yourself the trouble and go to DelPark.

Used to love going here. Hadn't been there in a long time. Very disappointed. The smoke was horrible. It smelled terrible. People were smoking at NO smoking machines and not one employee said a thing. So many machines are old and don't work well. Everyone was complaining that the machines do not pay out anything. So many buttons on the slots were unreadable. I will be going elsewhere next time.
Valley Forge National Historical Park offers trolley and ranger-led walking tours through its miles of trails, providing visitors with a chance to witness a historic Revolutionary War site. The park boasts beautiful preservation of national history and is an ideal destination for day trips. Visitors can explore the park's various attractions, including the visitors center which showcases the area's rich history, enjoy picnics on blankets in shaded areas or rent bikes near visitor center parking lot to cycle around the park.
We visited Valley Forge from Philadelphia, it's about an hour's drive. It's a very significant historic place and is a must visit if you are in in the area. We had reserved the trolley tour. It is a 90 minute tour that took us to all the important spots. We got down at a couple of spots, one was to walk around the soldiers huts area. We were greeted by a ranger who explained about the area and the significance of the huts. The second place where we got down to walk around was at George Washington's head quarters, and the train station.
All along the tour, we had a guide explaining the history and importance of the various spots. It is a huge area of scenic meadows, trees and landscape used for soldiers encampment.
You can also do the tour by yourself using a map or with audio guidance. Walking tour and biking tours are other options. Bike rentals are available.
Final stop was the visitor center with a nice gift shop.

Wow! Wow! Wow! It’s gnarly that 200+ years ago this valley was the scene of a very very important part of the country's history. Reading about what happened year and looking at pictures do not do this place justice because in real life the area is just so damn majestic. As a veteran it was really cool to experience this with my brother and doodle. Altogether we walked 3 miles in one of the shorter loops groomed for walkers. Make sure you listen to the audio that the park provides through a number you call into. Seeing the area and then listening to the context of what happened truly does make a difference.

My young daughter had a blast going into all the log cabins. They also have a really awesome gift shop with a little museum on the other side. They had trails you can walk, or bike, and they also have a rode you can drive and hit monuments and learn about our countries history.

During my visit to Valley Forge National Historical Park on Presidents' Day weekend, the experience was even more special thanks to the array of activities tailored for families. The park came alive with historical reenactments, guided tours, and educational programs that brought the rich history of the area to life in a very interactive and engaging way. It was a fantastic opportunity to learn more about America's past while enjoying the beauty and solemnity of the park with my family. The activities provided a unique and memorable way to connect with the history of the Continental Army and the revolutionary spirit. This visit was not just a walk through history; it was a vibrant celebration of our nation's heritage, making the experience truly unforgettable.

In many ways this location holds a place as one of the most important in American history. Over the winter of 1777-1778, the continental forces of the American revolution stayed here in terrible conditions as it prepared for what seemed to be an endless war. General Washington used this as his base for the foray across the Delaware to Trenton to engage the hessian forces stationed there. The park boasts a few dozen key areas that you can explore and monuments constructed to commemorate the rich history of that time.
Aside from that the park has a varied amount of biking and hiking trails for beginner to moderate trips. The 6.6 mile loop that covers the historical aspects is a pleasant walk in mild weather and further exploration can be done at no cost to the adventurer.
This should be the top of the list for those interested in the birth of a nation!

Such a beautiful park! It’s great for all sorts of activities— fishing, biking, walking, picnicking and hiking. Can’t forget all the history and monuments/cabins you can see, which is very interesting.
I like more of the nature/activity side of the park, so I’ve gone biking here on the paved areas and it’s always fun with all the hills and inclines, and more recently I’ve also been hiking and some of the trails are cool and offer a variety of nice nature sceneries and best of all, a good workout.
If you go hiking on the Mt. Joy trail, make sure to wear bug spray and a good pair of hiking boots/trail runners since it gets rocky. Almost all of the trails I’ve been on are usually well maintained, only one I’ll mention is that parts of the Grand Parade trail in the meadows were a bit overgrown so make sure you have your trail map and be weary of ticks! Overall, awesome experience every time and definitely one of my favorite parks in the area since you’ll always find something to do.

We naively thought we could just pop in here and then be on our way. The website just doesn't do it justice.
The grounds are immense and beautifully cared for. We saw many people there just walking, jogging, and riding their bikes.
Your first stop should be the visitor's center where you can learn about the history of Valley Forge and its significance. Restrooms and gift shops are also located there.
We elected to do the free auto tour. Again, we didn't allow for enough time because the area is huge and there really are a lot of places you'll want to stop.
My must-sees are the cabins, the arch, the train station and Washington's Quarters, and Washington's Chapel. At the very least.
Entry is free. Parking is free.

This is a great national historic park for a good stroll! The landscape is hilly, but there are no major steep areas that you would have to watch out for. Most of the pathways are paved, so it is a great place to visit for those who are wheelchair bound. Many of the walkways have trees on one side, so it allows for shade for part of the day. I would recommend a hat for visitors because some pathways have no coverage. The big archway is surrounded by cobblestone, so it's not as accessible as the rest of the park. Parking and entrance into the park are free.

Beautiful preservation of one of our national history spots.. Great day trip to walk the park trail, take in the history at visitors center, relax on a blanket in the shade and enjoy a picnic lunch. Bike rentals available near visitor center parking lot.

Valley Forge National Historical Park is steeped in history.
Every time I visit Valley Forge Historical Park, I'm struck by the sense of peace and tranquility that permeates the air. It's as if the park itself is a living memorial to the courage and sacrifice of those who fought for our freedom.
This was where George Washington and his troops had spent a brutal winter during the Revolutionary War. As I wandered through the park, I imagined what it must have been like for them, and felt a deep sense of gratitude for their sacrifices. This park is truly a testament to the power of nature and the strength of the human spirit.
One of the most iconic features of Valley Forge National Historical Park is the Encampment Site, where George Washington and his Continental Army stayed. Visitors to the park can explore the reconstructed cabins where the soldiers slept, learn about the harsh conditions they endured, and gain a deeper understanding of the sacrifices that were made.
Valley Forge National Historical Park is more than just a tourist attraction - it's a national treasure that belongs to all of us. The park's beauty is not just in its rolling hills and peaceful forests, but in the stories that it tells and the lessons that it teaches. It's a place of remembrance, reflection, and inspiration.

It definitely exceeded my expectations! The visitor center has a lot of an interesting information regarding the history of the place as well as a small gift shop. There you can also purchase the affordable driving audio tour which is very educational. The park is also peaceful and quiet for a bike ride or long run.

Valley Forge is HUGE and there's so much to see! My wife and I are photographers and have engagement session here often. It's a beautiful location for photos with tons of great options. The park is dog-friendly, great for picnics and family activities with large open fields. You can drive around the park to different spots, or use the miles and miles of walking trails. 10/10!

I loved the walk around this national beauty that was always so close to home, and yet I never visited. I loved every second of the hike. If you have the time to walk around, I suggest it. You can drive through the park as well, but our founding fathers didn't have motorized vehicles, so you can take a stroll. (;

Went on a rainy Saturday afternoon mid October. Fully manned, nice visitor center with exhibits, gift shop and movie. Did the 10 mile circle driving tour around the encampment with stops at the train station, Washington's headquarters and the church. Everything was very well maintained, fully annotated and staffed with rangers. Very impressed with all the history and the park. Surprisingly, everything, including parking, was free. On a sunny day, there are nice bike and hiking parts to use. Well worth the visit.

My photos do not do this beautiful national park justice with its 3,500 acres of wide open meadows, woodlands, streams, trails, log cabins, a visitor's center, National Memorial Arch, several historical buildings to explore including Washington’s Headquarters and the Washington Memorial Chapel, and more to explore. Washington and his troops spent the winter at Valley Forge during 1777–78. Often when you visit you will see reenactment actors near the log cabins in character. There is close to 30 miles of exposed trails throughout the park to walk or ride a bike. There are additional hidden marked trails in the woods to challenge yourself and to hike Mount Misery and Mount Joy. Plenty of meadows to fly a kite and set up a picnic blanket. Also, several picnic tables near the Arch under several large oak trees. Restrooms are available. Able to fly drones over the "flying field" on North Valley Forge Road just as you enter the park. Plenty of parking options. Just taking a drive through is also nice. No park fee to enter.

Beautiful rolling hills and historical artifacts. Amazing views. Takes one back to 1770s Pennsylvania. We went during Thanksgiving week when few visitors were there. Highly recommend. There was plenty of free parking and restrooms.

We had an awesome time here on our double date night with our friends! It was so fun and relieving throwing that 🪓 axe, something I didn't know I needed lol. The instructor was awesome as well and helped me get a few good tosses in after his coaching. We'll definitely return!

We did a walk in and we're immediately welcomed by Ryan. He was through in explaining the proper way to hold and throw the ax. Watch as we threw and made suggestions on what we needed to correct so the ax stuck to the boards. He made sure we were comfortable before leaving us, but checked back multiple times to make sure we weren't expecting any problems or had questions. Will definitely be going back. We had an hour of fun.

We had such a great experience at Bury the Hatchet! We booked a group for a work outing and had such a great time. Our Axe Master was Ryan and he is awesome in his role! He gave helpful guidance to help us throw better and really amped up our group with the competitions he facilitated. I also really liked that we could bring in food and drink and that Bury the Hatchet was flexible with us updating our numbers a couple days ahead of time and allowing us to extend our session for an extra hour easily/inexpensively because we were having so much fun! It made for a great event to unwind after a work week.

David was absolutely fantastic! He gave us great pointers on how to throw and went over a few games for us to play. He also came in handy as a great referee when tensions got high. Thank you David and the Bury The Hatchet team for a phenomenal evening!

Really good time spent bonding with coworkers. Maggie our hatchet master was great. She showed us what to do, gave us suggestions to improve our throws and she put up with our jokes, kept score, and was a wonderful host. We split up into teams and had a great time cheering everyone and trying to land a throw somewhat close to where we aimed. We brought our own sodas and snacks and made use of the picnic table behind each throwing cage. Would go again in a heartbeat.
We went back! It was even more fun.
We threw pick-axes and mauls! Much easier to just have fun the 2nd time.

I went here with a group of friends expecting to have a lot of fun and it EXCEEDED my expectations. Julia was great and attentive all night. The axes and boards are all in good condition. There’s plenty of space between lanes. We threw hatchets, competition axes, tomahawks, a fireman ax, a blade, and more. They had games with popping balloons, battleship, different scoring, etc. We all had a great time and would definitely return.

Went here with a few buddies for my bachelor party and we had a great time! The hatchet throwing was really fun and easy to learn and there were even options on what we were throwing, meaning different sizes and weights of hatchets.
The space was clean and well lit and there were pool tables and other amenities we found engaging. The staff was super helpful in explaining the proper way to throw and then let us to it.
We plan on returning!

Jun led our group for our workplace end of year gathering. He was very friendly and gave out so many pointers that were catered to the different individuals he was helping.
Me for example, once he heard I had played softball before, he had me changing up my axe, how I positioned my body and in 5 throws I had a bulls eye!
He also was taking pictures of everyone who hit a bulls eye and a couple of group shots at the end of our event :)
It was my first time doing this and I had been really looking forward to trying it it.
Seriously so much fun!

Jordan was fantastic. She was technically “orienting” but she was great. Helped us out, got us started with our games, and let us spin the wheel when we had a kill shot. It was our first time here (or axe throwing) and we will DEFINITELY come back for more. Watch out zombie apocalypse.

Ryan was the best - making sure we knew what to do and always checking up to see if we needed anything more. His kindness and energy convinced us to upgrade to the premium package and yet again Ryan was correct and our fun got even better. I highly recommend anyone coming here to ask for him if you wanna get the most outta your experience here!

Luke did an awsome job. We were a walk in and he got us set up, went over everything with us, watched as we threw and let us know what adjustments we need to make. He was very attentive and made sure we were having fun.

Independence Hall is a historic building in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where the Declaration of Independence and Constitution were signed. The hall is located in Independence Historical Park and is open to the public every day of the year.
The Christ Church is the oldest Episcopal church in the United States and is located in Philadelphia. It played an important role in the American Revolution, hosting members of the Continental Congress and later Presidents George Washington and John Adams. The current building is considered one of the finest Early American churches and one of the finest Georgian structures in America.
Christ Church is a beautiful, historical location in the Old City section of Philadelphia. It’s a must see for tourists and native Philadelphians. The staff is knowledgeable of the history and will answer any questions you might have. The outside of the church and its grounds are spectacular. You can also attend services, if you are interested. Many of our founding fathers were here. What an experience.

Beautiful historic church, dates to 1744. We enjoyed our time here, especially seeing the pew locations of Betsy Ross, George Washington, Benjamin Franklin and John Adams. Wish we had time for the docent tour. We bought a map for $1 and it was full of helpful information. We also visited the Christ Church Burial Grounds- a few blocks away, and the burial location of Benjamin Franklin and his wife and young daughter. Both are worth a visit.

A must see when visiting Historical Philadelphia. Checkout the pews where Washington and Franklin worshipped along with other signers of the Declaration. Checkout the steeple which was at one point the tallest structure in the city. Ben Franklin wanted to demonstrate that lightning can be diverted through “a pointed metal object placed at a high point on a building — connected to a conductor that would carry the electricity away from the building and into the ground.” The steeple was under construction so legend has it he flew a kite instead.

We chose to pay for a guided tour. Before paying I asked and was told the tour was approximately 20 minutes, and we ended up getting a tour that lasted 45 minutes because the docent was so knowledgeable and willing to answer my questions. I am really glad we took some time to stop here - you will get SO much more out of it if you join the tour - I think it was only about $8 per adult, but I ended up ripping because the guy was so great. They have a small selection of souvenirs - but they are unique and a good selection. I bought a locally illustrated desk of cards. Don't skip this church!

Beautiful church. There is so much history within the walls and grounds. Take time to speak with the historian that is often in the main sanctuary.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit here! We purchased a map along with our admission and found the pews of George Washington, Benjamin Franklin, Betsy Ross, among others. Peaceful respit to a busy day of sightseeing. Make sure to walk around the gardens out back. Absolutely beautiful piece of history!

This Episcopal church exudes history and maintains exemplary values including dignity and respect for all people. Founded in 1695, the main structure was erected between 1727 and 1744. The tower steeple was the tallest structure in the 13 colonies and continued to maintain that status when the nation was formed.

Definitely worth a visit whether you are paying to visit their famous cemetery or taking a tour of the church. Both have minimal fees attached to it.
Be aware of the fact that the cemetery is not always open in inclement weather due to walking hazards. It is best to contact the church before you pay admission to enter.
If visiting the church you'll find famous notables who worshipped and are buried here. This was Franklin's church. However, you will find other important people such as John Forbes who helped established Fort Pitt is buried here.
The gift shop has a nice array of books including the famous Ben and me. Yes Amos the mouse got his start in this church.
The church has a small graveyard of its own. It is an actual working Episcopal church and open for Sunday services.

Church person or not, this is a neat spot to swing through if you're touring historic buildings in the area. Being able to experience a convergence of some of the most influential early Americans. Seeing where Franklin, Washington, etc. had purchased family seats, as well as seeing the architecture of the space is worth the quick stop. The docents are eager to explain the history and engage you in conversation, so you will certainly learn something if you stop.

It's worth the 5 bucks! You get to see and witness history, catch a glimpse of Pres. Washington's pew and other dignitaries who were there including a few signers of the Declaration of Independence. Check it out!

Pay the $5 to go in and get a short tour of this historic place. The history of the church is amazing. The pulpit was amazing and the history of the church wanting to get away from the Church of England. The people wanted to get away from that church. I loved this church.
