The Toledo Zoo is a massive and popular zoological institution in Ohio that features attractions and exhibits from all over the world. It's a great place to visit during the holidays, or any other time of year for that matter, as it's home to some amazing animals and scenery.
This zoo is a wonderful fixture in the community. We have lived here over a year now and have been members since our first week! The summer camps are great, lights are magical, the ice slide is a fun addition. We always get the experience package and definitely recommend the addition to the membership. We went to Noon Years Eve this NYE and everyone in our party had a blast. I lead a local Girl scout troop and our girls have been for the zoo sleepover as well as 2 day programs, everything we have had the opportunity to participate in has been great!

Absolutely amazing place to visit. I hadn't been back since I was in middle school almost 25 years ago. What an amazing transformation and yet still very familiar. I had a blast with my family and will try to get back before another couple decades pass. What a great place to spend the day with loved ones and honestly it's so great maybe even a great place to walk around with enemies as there is so many cool exhibits to look at. Really recommend to anyone who has a few or more hours and is in the area.

Fantastic zoo! We went in purchasing basic admission and came out running to the membership sign up stand. The animals at this zoo were more lively and active than any other zoo I've been too. There were so many baby animals to see. The aquarium and aviary was stellar and large. The reptile house is always my favorite but sadly the largest, the alligator, was sleepy.
General admission for two adults is $58.00. Parking is $11.00 at the Hippo road entrance parking lot. We decided to buy the membership because we absolutely will be back! We were able to combine our ticket purchase from today and the total for the family membership was $48.00! That pays for itself in two visits and you receive free parking with that membership. We didn't stop at any of the restaurants, but maybe next time.

We love the zoo! It's close to our house, and we have a membership. I highly recommend getting one. The zoo has plenty of special events throughout the year, but the Lights Before Christmas is an absolute must. The work they've put into the new exhibits and renovations is amazing. A few of our favorite attractions...Nature's Neighborhood and the Splash Pad for the kiddos...The Natural History Museum (my favorite)....The Aquarium...The Aviary...the Giraffe feeding...and all the animals of course! I would love to give it 5 stars, but the prices are so high. Also, they no longer allow outside food or drinks. Real bummer.
Still a season ticket makes it all worthwhile.

I am a little biased and a little spoiled because I’ve grown up going to the Columbus Zoo. This zoo is nice and small and does have some unique features and animals that Columbus doesn’t have.
The price was absolutely ridiculous. $31
for one ticket?? I don’t understand what for. They could’ve made their money in other ways if anything was open. The play areas, train, and zip line/climbing area were all closed. If those were open, it would’ve relieved some areas from being so congested and they could’ve made their money that way instead of charging so much at the entrance.
I agree with the other reviews and have noticed for myself that the exhibits are ridiculously small for some of the animals. I would say the biggest ones are the elephant exhibit and the land with the zebras, giraffes, camels, okapis, etc.
They have an amazing aviary with very unique birds and it is my favorite part of this zoo, the aquarium is bigger than ours and has a variety of creatures.
Love that they had the baby elephant out. He was two months old and at Columbus, we would never be able to see the elephants that close to being born.
Another problem I have is there is a lot of walking especially to get to the other side where most of the exhibits are. Also a lot of walking with not seeing anything in between all that walking or you have to walk back through what you just saw to get to something else instead of being able to circle around. It should be better mapped out.

We always love going to the Toledo Zoo for the lights, and this year was better than ever. After two decades of visiting every year, the Aviary was FINALLY open and we got to see some amazing specimens. Lots of other animals were out, too. Not to mention the lights, which were spectacular as always. The zoo employee screaming at us to get out of the orangutan exhibit did sour the experience a bit, I must say.

Love this zoo, I've been coming here since I was a kid- and it seems to just get better and better each year. We went on a Wednesday this year and it wasn't very crowded at all. The animals were more interactive than I've ever seen That's gotta be my favorite thing about this zoo, how well the animals are looked after. Their enclosures are large, they seem genuinely happy, which makes this place such a great experience. I've gone to other zoos in major cities and in comparison, they've seemed like backyard barn farms. Despite the stellar review, definitely be prepared for the price of food. It's outrageous, but what tourist attraction doesn't have outrageously priced food? It's a tradition. The souvenirs are also jacked up in price- but the stuff is pretty cute. I personally love my little octopus plushie I got from the aquarium gift shop. And as a native to the Toledo area, its very important they reopen the entrance on Broadway. If you serve the community in such a large way as letting the entire county free on Mondays, at least let the people who live in the neighborhood walk in. They have to put up with a lot due to the zoo- and it would be nice if the zoo extended that kindness. Other than that soapbox speech, the Toledo zoo really is a wonderful place that is near and dear to my heart.

It was an amazing day I must say. Relaxing, educational, inspiring. We had a wonderful tym seeing everything there & the guides that explain the exhibits r so very appreciated, helpful, kind. I luvd they were there to explain and make it more enjoyable to learn about each animal. I must say the tiniest seahorses I've ever seen there, were amazing too.. it's truly a wonderful zoo.. even in the rain.

Had a great day with my family, enjoying the sights and scenery. The zoo has done a lot of improvements since the last time I was there 10+ years ago. The exhibits were great. The food was good, definitely slightly pricey, but there were lots of options. Everything was really clean except for the baby changing station in one of the family restrooms. We bought a membership and I think it is totally worth it because you get free parking (which is normally $10) and also receive 10% off on all food purchases. We can't wait to go back soon!
Leah — Google review
Had a wonderful time at the zoo. Varieties of animals, nice exhibits, lot many ones for children to enjoy. Concession stands all available in the same area instead of scattered across the zoo. Pumpkin carvings, inflatables, play areas, it was all fun!

Was a great experience. One of my favorite zoos. And I go to 2 new zoos every year. Seen so many animals I haven't seen at other zoos. Nice to see pairs and no solo animals. Plenty of places for kids to play and have fun. Free water fountains, huge plus there. We pay enough to get in. Love seeing the original buildings in with the new. Will recommend.

This zoo was so fun, so much to see and the animals are so much more active than most zoos we’ve been to. The animals looked happy and well taken care of and that’s always nice to see! Definitely worth the drive and the kids loved it.
GABBY M. — Google review
Wayyyyyy better than Detroit Zoo. The aviary is filled with the most beautiful birds. The primates are always so fun to watch. I wish they would get the giraffe feeding open. We are still waiting to do this!
Bill Given — Google review
Very nice zoo. Came from Detroit to see animals we don’t have at the Detroit zoo. I personally didn’t get to see very many, as the group I was with was slow moving lol. This is obviously no fault of the zoo but I missed a lot and I will certainly have to come back. From what I did see, it appears to be a very nice zoo and the animals were pretty active. They do also have a small aquarium which is included with admission. You can easily get through the aquarium in half an hour, so don’t expect to spend a long time there. They do have a touch tank where you can touch rays and small sharks. The kids really enjoyed that.
The zoo does have a train that doesn’t go very far, but it’s only $2.50 per person, they also have a merry go round for $2 each. They of course also have places to buy souvenirs and get your face painted.
The coolest exhibit I saw there was the museum of natural history that had lots of detailed sculptures of animals that were once in America but are now extinct such as giant sloths, mastodons, etc. This building also had a touch tank where you can touch sturgeon.
There are quite a few places to eat there, but a lot appeared to be closed. Be prepared to pay a premium for bottled water, you may want to consider bringing your own, as it was $4 per bottle
Overall, we had a fun time and I definitely want to come back so I can see everything. I would definitely check this out if you’re in the area and if you’re in Detroit, I’d suggest visiting this zoo as a change from the one in Detroit if you’d like to see some different animals. Zoo is only about an hour away from Detroit.

Easily one of the best zoo experiences I've had:
The layout takes a second to get used too with most of the zoo being on the opposite side of the road, they have a nice tunnel and bridge to get to the other side which makes it convenient. When I was here today there was a ramp under construction.
A lot of the exhibits are clean and spacious. The animals today were very active and there are a ton of free up-close interactions you can partake in.
The staff was friendly and knowledgeable as they wandered the park and interacted with everyone.
I would absolutely recommend everyone take a chance here and explore, it's a great and exciting learning environment for everyone!
Jacob Stiltner — Google review
I've always liked that it's an easy zoo to navigate with plenty of great attractions. If you have small kiddos, this is the zoo for you. Easy to walk, good concessions, and the exhibits will keep the kids entertained and often amazed. Don't worry, as an adult you'll feel like akud again.
Cyril Radwin — Google review
Good selection of animals to see and they keep improving and expanding habitats. Lots of interactive experiences for kids and people of all ages. Great aquarium, green houses and play areas. Their aviary and reptile house is also nice. They also have a great museum and an outdoor amphitheater. There is also a vegetable patch and pollinator garden. Some cramped quarters for some animals but I can see they’re working on improving the overall quality of life for the animals. Clean bathrooms and nursing areas.
Overall good well rounded experience. Well worth the membership/ ticket fee. Highly recommend getting a membership especially if you have kids. Lots to explore even if you end up coming a few times a month like we do! They also have free days/ times. Friendly knowledgeable staff and volunteers
Mahisha Amarasinghe — Google review
It's a good zoo. Some animals weren't out, unfortunately. Lots of walking, I believe most if not all of it is stroller/wheelchair accessible! The aquarium has touch tanks where you're able to touch some sea animals. There is a splash pad, it was closed for the season when we visited but hope to visit it when they open again when it warms up. Some animals are no longer there that were there years ago, understandable but sad 😢 . Buy a membership, it's worth it.
Leslie E. — Google review
Too much fun! If you can, get an family pass you should definitely go for it. There’s too much going to see and one day is not enough time!🥰 we also got the experience package which pays for itself. We get to go on as many rides as we want on the safari train and carousel. And we can feed the giraffes with it too. Plus it gets you trick or treating for free and all the other seasonal activities as well.
Mary Shive — Google review
Wonderful, cool underground walkway and overhead bridges. While not every feature was open since it's not a weekend but there was still plenty to do. Food at the Bistro was lovely, pricing is what you would expect from a zoo, but worth it. A lot of cool stuff in the gift shop. The animals were so photogenic, and the gardens by the conservatory are so serene. Whether you're on your own, or with friends, it's a nice place to walk around and enjoy your day.
Braeden Pelton — Google review
I've been coming to this zoo for almost as long as I've lived in the US (23 years), and it never ceases to impress.
As a professional nature and wildlife photographer, it offers a great place to practice my craft.

This was my first time to the Toledo Zoo. I was already in town to photograph the eclipse so I decided to take my camera and visit. It was amazing! From easy parking near the entrance to learning that Veterans are admitted free (just charged 11 dollars for parking) it was a great experience. Lots of different animals - easy to see and photograph. A wonderful day trip. So much fun.
Chris Holmes — Google review
Most expensive zoo we've gone too. I think prices across the board were a bit higher than anything we've seen from other, better known zoos. Also had to pay for parking.
But anyway, I'll always give zoos 5 stars if they treat the animals well. The habitats were well thought out and most were well sized. All animals had forms of enrichment and ways to stay active which was great. There is information and historical data all over the park so there is plenty to read, which I enjoyed.
Besides pricing, my only complaint are the information TVs above most exhibits. It takes way too long for most of the information screens to cycle back around and I just couldn't keep waiting. They either need to add more TVs or simply go back to the informational signs like most zoos have.
And clean the glass. It was hard to see into a lot of exhibits. But we went late in the year. Maybe that's a seasonal job??
AJ Flick — Google review
The place was such a beautiful escape from the business of downtown. We got there super early, so our first walk around, they were still letting some animals out. After about 30minutes, though, everyone was ready to play.
The staff were well informed and eager to teach and share experiences. I can’t wait to come back with my nephews. This was my “trial run” they’re going to love Kirk the new baby elephant 🐘
Shakiyla Ishaku — Google review
I absolutely love the Toledo zoo.
We specifically went to see "Kirk," the baby elephant. The zoo staff was very careful about managing viewing the mother and baby elephant for the care of the elephants. I'm glad. It was nice to see.
I try to go on days that are normally less busy. This zoo does a really good job at keeping restrooms clean at zoo facilities. We had a zoo greeting from staff upon entering, and the young man asked if we would like a group picture. I said yes, please, and thank you.
I handed my camera to him. Now, thankfully, I have a great family picture of a very pleasant and fun visit to the toledo zoo. 😀

A great zoo in northern Ohio for all to enjoy! Hippos, Giraffes, and even an aquarium make for a great time at this zoo! Easily spotted from the road, lots of parking, fairly priced entry ticket and vendors throughout the zoo. Most definitely worth stopping by and experiencing for yourself, or with family!

I could spend hours marveling at the beauty of nature housed within the Toledo Zoo. It was truly a day filled with wonder and appreciation for our planet’s diverse inhabitants.
Exploring the different exhibits was a journey through various ecosystems. The Arctic Encounter with polar bears gracefully gliding through the water was breathtaking, while the African Savanna transported me amidst giraffes, wild buffalos, zebras, and tiger with her cubs. One of the highlights was the Aviary, a paradise filled with colorful birds from around the world. Moreover, the zoo’s commitment to conservation and education shone through their informative sessions and conservation initiatives. It was heartwarming to witness their dedication to preserving endangered species and raising awareness about wildlife conservation. It was a great experience and still lots more to see & cover, probably when I visit again

Went to this zoo in 2017. Not bad. When you live next to the Detroit Zoo. Most zoos look small. Good size. Many people. No issues. I do like the fact that you don't need to pay extra to visit the Aquarium.

My wife and I are visiting from Cincinnati for the weekend. The first stop was the zoo, and we had a great time. The zoo is not really big but is spread out and the habitats are very nice! The Toledo Zoo is a MUST visit for sure!!!
The Toledo Museum of Art is an art museum located in the historic Old West End district of central Toledo, Ohio. The museum's collection features a wide range of art from classical to contemporary, and includes works by some of history's most well-known painters. The Glass Pavilion is one of the most popular attractions at the museum, and its curved glass walls are simply stunning.
It was a bigger museum than I expected and curated well. The inside layout is a bit confusing but you can see a lot. You get a lot of hope for good items when you first walk in and see the Van Gogh and Monet right away, but that was about it. There was a small Rodin Thinker as well. All in all, a good time, and worth a visit if you are in the area

Wow this place is amazing! We traveled from Columbus to check out the museum and we weren’t disappointed. We have a membership with Columbus Museum of Art and through the reciprocal agreement program this was all free for us. The museum itself is free but normally you would pay $10 for parking. But since we have the membership it was free. They had works of art from all eras and I was happy to see a Renoir as those are my favorites! We spent 3 hours and didn’t get to see everything before they closed. We will be back! They have a little coffee shop with food (we didn’t go in so I can’t review that piece). They have bathrooms up and downstairs. Plenty of parking and everything is accessible. Check this out, you won’t be disappointed!

I am so grateful to have such an incredible art museum in our city. My son & I frequent this place. We always enjoy ourselves. If and when he does get antsy about not interacting with the art, we just head downstairs where he can touch EVERYTHING! My little dude has been Culturally educated and inspired with the opportunities we've had to visit this place from such an early age. Thanks Toledo!🖼🎨🌃🎵😎

This beautiful complex is wonderfully curated which makes it easy and pleasant to experience the beauty presented. There is variety, history and culture.
I discovered a Dutch painting of people enjoying themselves on the frozen canal. And there were men playing golf! Yes, in 17th C.! The golf clubs were similar to those used in the 1920s.
There are many buildings on the acreage of the campus. One is the "glass" museum which also houses a glassblowing demonstration and the Impressionist hall.
There is paid parking, but free entry. But be careful: if you switch parking lots to go to other buildings, it'll cost another $10. Better to walk across the street.
The staff are pleasant and personable, and contributed to a marvelous experiences we had.

The Toledo Museum of Art has so much to offer for engagement and wedding photo locations! I much prefer the outdoor locations so I do not impede on museum-goer experiences, but they are so good you won't even miss the indoor spots! There are marble columns for some classic and regal-looking photos and then there are pathways surrounded by unique art. My favorite spot is this cool metal building/wall. Rainy or bad weather? The Glass Pavilion is a very cool spot right across the street.

Great museum! The mummified cat was neat. They had some really nice pieces and everyone we spoke with that worked there was super nice. If you get to close to something it announces that you’re too close and to back up. Beautiful pieces in the gift shop as well.

First time visiting the museum. The staff was professional and friendly and the museum exhibits were awesome. Spent 3 hours and ran out of time. Looking forward to going back. The Caravaggio exhibit was special and I learned a lot about the artist, his life, and style. I have a new appreciation for art in the little time I spent there.

The ceilings are high, the exhibit is large and spacious and beautifully set up. There are multiple items to review in one space. The art is interesting and there is so much to read. You can literally spend 5 hours at this museum just reading everything and learning. It's free with $10 parking. There are multiple places to sit in every room, the staff is friendly, and the environment is quiet and extremely well kept up. Love it here.

I took the house tour and self toured the museum. I really enjoyed it. Lots if interesting facts and artifacts from the late 1800's. My husband loved the weapons room and my kids enjoyed the doll room and train room a lot. The house tour was like touring a life size period dollhouse! The grounds were nice.

This is a great place to visit for anyone in the area, or passing through. The sheer amount of preserved historical items is astonishing. The museum is very well put together. For guests with disabilities, they even restored the elevator so you can see the second floor of the house.

I came to charge my car at this museum and discovered a gem! We only visited the outdoor portion of the museum but there was plenty to see. Visited this place over 20+ years ago. Stopped today coming back from the lake to show my friend how cool it is. Arrived late, so didn't have time for a tour. But just the outside of the Library and Residence are marvel's to look at. There are nicely paved paths which lead to the gravesite, of which there are many marked trees and some interesting ones. Spiegal Grove is awesome location and property.

We have visited all of the US Presidential Libraries and the museum portion was good. However, the Hayes house was very good. Our docent, Sarah, was super! She had a great personality and really knew the details about the house and the people who had lived in it. A few visitors asked questions that Sarah didn't know the answer but she had a tablet that she accessed quickly and supplied the answer. The grounds that surrounds the museum and house are absolutely beautiful and worth the time to walk around them. We spent about an hour and a half to visit the museum, the house tour was about an hour, and to walk around the grounds took about 45 minutes. In our opinion, it's a worth while visit.

This was one of the better Presidential homes I have been too. They gave you a very insightful tour of the house and family. The museum was really neat. I love learning about our countries history. Check this place out of you can.

We were fortunate enough to visit on a cool rainy day when there were very few visitors. My wife and I were the only ones in our group for the house tour. Our guide was very well informed on the history of the house and the Hayes family. We were able to see and do things that are not normally part of the tour.
The view from the fourth floor was amazing. Incredible experience!

We did not have time to tour the mansion or library but stopped to walk the grounds and see the grave site. Amazing grounds to walk around searching for squirrel doors. Very relaxing and the home from the outside is amazing. You can walk the grounds and see the graves with no admission necessary.

Today has been busy, but in a good way 😌
I brought Remi along to my doctor's appointment a few towns away.
I had to stop by Bailiwicks Coffee Company in Tiffin and get a hot Irish Cream latte 😋 If you're in town, I recommend stopping by for an excellent coffee ☕️ Make sure you walk around inside and check out the beautiful artwork ♡ I saw the Marilyn Monroe drawing and was instantly in love.
On our way back to Fremont, I stopped by Rutherford B. Hayes Presidential Library & Museums so Remi could walk around and explore all the smells.
Even though it's March, flowers are budding and some trees as well 🌹 I think the rose garden will be beautiful this year ♡ I've loved coming here since I was a girl. I was filled with all the memories while walking through the gardens.
I always feel better after walking through the woods on the trails.

Went to the Rutherford B Hayes museum and property and was awestruck. It was totally worth the visit. The mansions contents are priceless and takes you back in a time when the United States was young and vibrant. The property is beautiful. As I was guided through a tour there it was almost as if I could feel an unexplainable aura in the very air as I mentally absorbed the sights and sounds regarding this "American" family. Learned much concerning the Hayes couple and their whole lineage. Their contributions towards the success of the United States as a country is truly historic and of a legendary quality. There is much too experience here. If you have the opportunity pay the place a visit. If you enjoy United States history my guess is you will be genuinely moved.
The University of Michigan is a large public school renowned for its research, medical programs, and football team. Located in downtown Ann Arbor, the campus boasts impressive academic buildings and offers a plethora of extracurricular activities. Despite its size, students have the opportunity to stand out if they make an effort to do so. The university provides countless opportunities for professional success but may pose challenges in finding time to study due to the abundance of activities available.

My daughter graduated from Michigan as a triple major and then got her Masters in Management from Ross. She also played in the famous Michigan Marching Band. When she graduated she was offered jobs on Wall Street, as a book editor, as an advertising executive and at Google. There are not many universities in the world that could have offered her the excellent and varied education she got from Michigan. On top of that the Saturdays in the largest stadium in the country listening to the greatest fight song ever written is a thrill no other university can offer. Go Blue!

A world renowned university and medical system on a beautiful campus that is always clean and well maintained. The campus both the university and medical campus are situated in areas where petty crime can be an issue so always be vigilant but the university has extensive campus security and campus police on patrol. U of M is right in the middle of downtown Ann Arbor and so it is extremely pleasant to walk around on campus. The academic buildings are extremely nice as well, inside and out. It is a very large school so the student generally remains fairly anonymous (but if they make an effort, they can stand out) so they remain distant from the professors. The University also has tons of extracurricular activities of all kinds -- which is awesome, but does make it difficult to find time to study. Overall, it's a great place to be and offers so many opportunities, it can be an amazing incubator for professional success.

Update: the professor I had been in touch with, professor Lohmann, seems to be as unprofessional as the rest of the faculty I had the misfortune of dealing with. We had a fine zoom meeting where we discussed the program I was interested in and he’s the one that had me reach out to someone of Jennifer Alexander’s job title for further assistance as well. Lohmann was supposed to get back to me the following week and I have not heard back since. Take your money, yearning for education, and search for good mentorship somewhere else. You will not find anything of value at this institution.
Awful staff, such as Rose Cory and Jennifer Alexander. I’ve tried to go about seeking help with admissions and the only help I’ve received is from an actual professor. Rose Cory works in admissions and completely blew off our zoom meeting, later contacting saying another meeting went late but couldn’t even have the courtesy to send me a message prior to our meeting letting me know she wouldn’t be there. Jennifer Alexander is just pathetic and doesn’t do the job she’s listed to do on the schools website. I doubt I will continue to give this institution any more thought for enrollment. Absolute trash faculty.

BEAUTIFUL campus. I love every second here! So many amazing activities and extra curricular activities to get involved in over 2000! The professors are fantastic here too you can EASILY tell everyone has well over 10+ years of upper level experience. The students here… INSANELY nice as an introvert I can walk up to anyone and they’re super friendly and helpful. Biggest alumni group. HUGE school spirit even on the streets people all rep UofM. It’s a whole new loving world here. Night life is everywhere with good to high end restaurants. The roads are all proper especially for Michigan weather. Alumni donates heavily to this school. The city works with UofM to help them expand.. it’s like the whole area is family it’s incredible!
I legitimately can’t say a single negative and I am a commuter except I just wish I could drive less haha. So many parking structures lol it’s only a few minute walk. The M bus is accurate too.
Put it like this… if you get accepted to The University of Michigan.. after doing research and or visiting campus you will be going to The University of Michigan.
10/10 this is coming from someone who’s attended multiple universities including the Dearborn campus. NOTHING touches this University.

My experience as a student at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor has been nothing short of amazing! The campus is not only stunning but also buzzing with energy. The professors are world-class, and the wide range of academic programs ensures there's something for everyone. The resources available, from the libraries to research opportunities, are unparalleled. What truly stands out, though, is the sense of community and school spirit. Whether it's cheering for the Wolverines at the Big House or collaborating with fellow students on projects, being part of UMich is an unforgettable journey. I'm proud to call myself a Michigan student, and it's a definite five-star institution!

Large park with a range of African animals such as monkeys & ocelots, plus shows & tours.
The people there are great! Really friendly! They're passionate about the animals. Expect to get the car a bit dirty when you feed the animals....but luckily there's vacuums available for just a couple bucks right at the gate.

Had a great time at the African Safari wildlife Park! It really is a unique experience and you get to feed the animals right from your car!
The price of admission is expensive! But you are paying for the up close experience that you do not get at a zoo. They also have a small walk through section with some additional animals and birds Your ticket is good for all day. So you can drive through the safari again if you like! However, I am taking off a star because I did not know this until at the end of the safari and I have dumped some of the animal feed so it would not go to waste! If this was more clear, I would have either bought additional food or saved some of it to go through again.
It really is an amazing experience. Especially when the giraffe uses their tongue to grip the mulberry leaves.
This is not something I will do often because of the cost, but may come again based on who I might be traveling with.

Awesome experience! 2yr old loved feeding the giraffes. Buy the special Mulberry leaves for $5 in giraffe area. The other animals were large and somewhat intimidating. Yet, they knew what to do. Just some of the long horns were scary. Touring the walking paths had so many opportunities to take pics ...pics w dinosaurs, pics w animals. With a snack bar and a store everything is fun. We bought food with quarters to feed the fish. We petted a snake during the live animal show. We rode a camel. $10pp
Then the aviary
Lots to do...our toddler loved it
Until the tornado sirens..long story

The camel stole two cups from me 😆 and the zebras weren't impressed with anything we had to offer but that's no big deal. We had two cups of food and two cups of lettuce and it was sufficient but we definitely rationed it along the way.

A self-drive through park with dozens of types of animals roaming freely. You're given a large cup of animal feed at the beginning of the drive, then they wait for you to drive up. They'll come right to your windows to beg. Alpacas, deer, longhorns, even bison come up to beg. In fenced areas are antelope, zebras, giraffe. Also a walking tour of smaller animals, gift shop, etc. More feed can be purchased too. If you get surrounded and can't drive, wranglers on golf carts will disperse the herds. Overall a lot of fun and I would recommend it highly for all ages. And if you leave your windows open, they will stick their heads in for food. Fine for Alpacas and deer, not so much with longhorns and bison!

We had a wonderful time! The dinosaur exhibit was fun to look at as we followed the paths to see the live animals. After we walked through the park, then we drove through and fed the animals. They come right up to the car so you can feed them!

I have been here in the past. If you haven't been here in a while you need to check it out. My grandsons had a blast. Once you pay for admission you can drive through all day. The animals are all willing to greet you with their open mouths. You may want to bring an older car because you will get slobbered on. Many great picture opportunities. If you leave your windows open you will get big heads into your space so be prepared. They will get up close and personal. The walking part with live action dinosaurs is fantastic. Many real animals to see and interact with also. Who doesn't like a real pig race? Cheer on your favorite pig! So much to see and do you have to see it. Use Groupon to save some money 🤑!

This is a cool place. Make sure you financially prepare yourself for the sticker shock. Quite expensive, especially when they get paid to feed their animals. You have to pay to get in, then if you want to feed any animals, you have to buy their food and feed them. I should have thought about that when I was young. Smart.. all in all, my kid loved it and was happy, so I was happy.

A very cool zoo, how many positive emotions I and my children had, such beautiful, cute and kind animals, which you can pet, feed with your own hands (food can be purchased at the cash register). Cute deer, big giraffes, beautiful zebras, serious antelopes, funny llamas, big and kind bison, as well as incredible parrots that you can hold in your hands, cute rabbits, respectable turtles. There is also a shop with nice souvenirs to remember, a cafe where you can eat delicious ice cream, toilets, playground, various dinosaur decorations. It's just great here, I recommend it)
Scenic park with a 352-ft.-tall column dedicated to those who fought in the Battle of Lake Erie.
Unfortunately the trip to the top was closed because of covid, but the rotunda was open and really something to see and understand. The peace between the US, UK, and Canada we kinda take for granted today, but there definitely was a time when such a thing wasn't guaranteed. This place is really impressive. You don't really get a feel for exactly how tall this monument is, until you are standing underneath of it looking up. It was a shame that we weren't able to go up to the observation deck, as out time was short, and the line for the elevator was way too long. What an awesome view the property offers though. Truly an honorable memorial for Perry. Next time we come, we will make it a point to ride up to the top. I'm sure that the view is breathtaking

A must visit place in Put-In Bay. The view from the top of the observatory was awesome! The park rangers were friendly and helpful. The ticket to the top of the tower was $10 for adults. It takes around a minute in a classic old elevator to reach the top. The rangers will be there to explain the brief history. In the top there are information boards and also the guards who can explain the view and the information about the islands in sight.

If you want the most fantastic view of the island, you can only go here. It has an elevator to the top to see the whole surrounding islands and area. The monument has great information in the visitor center that tells you all about the battle, history, and the people involved. It is run by park service folk that will answer any of your questions and are friendly and professional. It is also one of the taller monuments in all of the United States. It truely is a beautiful monument, view, and amazing part of history.

I didn't know anything about this memorial until we were on the island and to discover the history behind it was informative and interesting. We had an absolutely AWESOME visit to the Perry's Monument during our recent visit to Ohio. I brought my daughters to see where I grew up as a kid, and hadn't been to the top of the monument in about 15 years. The Park Rangers were so professional and welcoming! We were pleasantly surprised when our interagency pass that we earned from being retired disabled military veterans, admitted our whole family. Thank you all for such a memorable visit!

We enjoyed our visit to the memorial but were disappointed that the elevator is out of service due to a lightning strike. I was at the top years ago and it offers a great view far across the lake. Nice visitors center with information on the battle of Lake Erie during the War of 1812. There is actually six officers, three American and three British that are buried under the monument itself. When we were there, two people were dressed as a British officer and sailor and gave a demonstration of firing war-era flintlocks.

This whole time I thought it was a lighthouse. I am so glad we checked it out. First National Park I've been to as well! Slowly connecting the dots of America's history, all the lessons that were crammed into a semester of middle school, remembering only enough to pass a test. It's so much more to see it in person and from a place of genuine interest. The NPS has done a great job. I hope to visit many more National Parks to fill up my passport.

The Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation is a sprawling space dedicated to showcasing American life and ideas. The living history exhibition hall boasts 18 intelligent touch screens and a gigantic assortment of exercises and games, while the historical centre exists in a few sections. The first includes the Museum of American Innovation, which showcases relics from the transport industry that Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat for. The museum is worth the visit for any youngster looking to learn about American history and famous figures from across the spectrum.
All of the staff was amazing! Each one spoke to you every time, acknowledged you when you entered, said bye when you left, always asked if you needed any assistance or had any questions. So so helpful and I'm so very appreciative, they were all wonderful! My son and I can't wait to go again! So many gift shops lol. Need at least 2+ hours to see it all, but it's worth it. Absolutely incredible and exquisite exhibits. Everything is laid out so well you can easily travel from one section to the next, with a smooth transition in-between.
The cases are spaciously laid out as to not be overwhelming. This creates a good flowing atmosphere that keeps you moving and staring at the next item.
There's a nice cafeteria that you can eat at, but hold on to your tickets. You'll need them to get back into the museum.

The Henry Ford museum is definitely my favourite museum in Detroit. It displays a lot of history from the very beginning of motoring up to the present time. My favourite displays would be the United States presidents cars. Followed closely by the 1941 Allegheny Locomotive one of the largest steam powered Locomotives ever built. Very interesting to see also Henry Ford's kitchen bench engine, that's how it all started. There is so much to see in this museum not just cars. You can spend a whole day here enjoying yourself. I highly recommend a visit to this museum.

I’ll definitely recommend to visit this museum in Detroit. It’s so huge and you can find here a lot of different things. History of United States. Progress of different directions such as railways, cars, planes, different manual productions. They also recommend factory tour and if you get museum and factory you’ll get discount. We didn’t have enough time and went through museum only. We got tickets in the spot and were not actually even planning to go there and it was Friday so I believe you can have tickets at the door any time. Enjoy and bring your kids there are a lot of interactive elements.

This was perhaps the best place that I've visited in a long time!! It was like a kid let loose in a candy shop. The place is absolutely gorgeous. The history behind every piece in that museum is insane, the lady at the front greeting once we entered the actual part of the museum was really really good. She gave a brief on what to expect and where. This place will take a full day to tour if you want to look and read everything. Maybe two. I would definitely visit this place again. Definitely recommended for every single age.

Incredible the history of Ford! It's a huge museum with lots to see. We didn't see everything as I think it would take a few days.
The old locomotives were a highlight for me, as well as the cars. The presidential cars was very cool to see.
I'm not a huge fan of racing but I have to admit it was very interesting yo learn about racers as athletes and seeing some powerful racing cars over the years.
Another highlight was the mathematics, airplanes, and furnishings. The doll houses were incredibly beautiful and detailed.
The Walt Disney costumes were also very cool to see up close. If you love fabric and costumes, I highly recommend to see the exhibit. It is only for a short while though.
The food was good, some variety of sandwiches, snack food and entree meal. The ladies who work there were wonderful, very funny, and very helpful. I really enjoyed the experience and hope to go back to see what I missed!

I shared a couple pictures of my highlights of this trip. It's a pretty nice place to visit. They are lacking some restaurants or places to get some real food. I visited here about 50 years ago when I was a kid and we went to a nice Italian restaurant and had spaghetti dinner. That appears to be missing in the museum now. Their displays are awesome with a lot of history of our area and Past Times. I recommend it!

This was a really awesome place to spend the day with the family. We loved looking around at all the cars, planes, and machinery this place has on display. So much to see and do while being here; especially when you get to the race cars. We all had so much fun; kids and adults alike.
I recommend buying your tickets online in advance. It was quite easy to do and saved us time once we arrived at the museum.
We will need to come back to see the rest of the things we didn't get to spend as much time with.

Kids had fun! We ran into a volunteer who was on break but very cheerful and conversational. It was cool to see the museum sections.... we were there for about 3 hours and only saw 2/3s of the exhibits (at kid speed). You could spend multiple days here. We got a tip to bring lunch, so didn't eat at any of the places there. Kids favorite things were the pit stop crew hands on activity, going inside the locomotive, and seeing the barnstormer planes. Adults found the JFK limo more significant than the littles.

So much to see in the museum. It will take you half a day to read through everything and walk through all the exhibit. Even a quick walk through needs about 3 hours.
You learn so much on automotive, manufacturing, American history and culture, aerospace and Glass !

An excellent museum with interesting exhibits for everyone. Far from "just a car museum," it has exhibits focused on aviation, the industrial revolution, the civil rights movement, trains, and lots more.
My only regret is that we only scheduled one day to visit the museum and the Greenfield Village, whereas two days would have been the minimum in retrospect.

Beautiful time had by all. Incredible collection allowing a walk through history. The staff had interesting information and stories to share about the period and life of those during that time. We have a membership. I would suggest a day for Henry Ford Museum and a day for Greenfield Village if you're not from this area. After that, you can choose if you need additional visits.

This is certainly the go-to museum in Detroit. It showcases American innovations and progress over the century, not just car-focused. You could spend at least 2 hours in the museum alone. There’s a rotating exhibit space that brings new things in to keep it fresh for returning visitors.
There’s plenty to see and do, with sections on agriculture, furniture and housing, car racing, automobile production, aviation, locomotives, and more.
The village portion of the grounds can add about 5 hours to your visit so come prepared!

☆○°•The place was very amazing, I was walking in, not expecting much of it, but as I entered, I saw a lot of Presidents cars and the thought of them actually being in there was very cool! There was also a really cute miniature car set displayed, and a place where you could play a car simulator! It was a very pleasant experience :> Next time I visit MI, I will visit the factory too!○☆•°

Spectacular! You need a full day to enjoy and bring your jacket after Oct 31st!! The train usually closes at the end of October, but the Model T drive around the village is worth the money. They also have a bus, that's a great way to hear about the village. They have a horse-drawn carriage as well!!
The factory tour is fantastic, with limited photography options, but it is well worth it.
The museum is vast, and if you live here, that year pass is the way to go! Visitors take advantage of the different passes according to ride availability. You almost can't get through the museum and village unless you plan for the whole day!! A must-see for sure!

You could literally spend days here. It’s so unique and one of a kind. I came here every weekend as a kid in the 80s and it’s fascinating to see what is still here and what has changed.
Even if you could care less about cars or trains or planes this place positions them in a way that integrates them into the progression of life in America and the impact that cars (good and bad) and the social and historical context surrounding that impact.
I took my teenagers and thought they would be begging to leave but I had to drag them out at closing time.
Just go.

This was the first time my 4 year old son was at the Ford Museum. He loves anything trains and they have the biggest ones in the world. Not my words but my sons. We also went because there was a Paw Patrol exhibit that he is very into at the moment. He had a great time exploring the activities within the area. I would say he enjoyed the time, but some of the stuff he was too young to know why it was there or the history about it.

Went to The Henry Ford Museum with my girlfriend recently. This museum is awesome! We walked through the displays for hours and enjoyed traveling back in time to see history in person. It was a fascinating visit and the exhibits are user friendly and interactive in many cases. We want to come back again and also visit Greenfield Village when it opens up in the spring! Many thanks to everyone working at The Henry Ford Museum!

Did not expect an all round museum here! I thought it was a Ford cars showcase but here is a full innovative museum containing not just fancy cars but the history and evolution of automobile! The presidential cars is surely a highlight here, but there are more to explore! Price is 30 dollars per adult and 9 for parking. Be aware the google navigation is not the most accurate location for the ticket office and entrance. Go straight to the clock tower!

What a great museum. This is my second visit. I was able to bring my wife this trip (she’s a huge history buff). This museum has something for everyone. I’m a pilot and I collect cars so I’m obviously attracted to the car and airplane collection! Only downside was the village being closed. Guess we need to make another trip!

Great experience! It's a Ford museum, but not just about Ford. Cool display of historic cars including some rare ones. So many things to see and time just flies by when in there. Would highly recommend!

Love the museum, have been a member for years! I particularly love the new racing exhibit with the racing simulators! Today we were there looking at it as a possible wedding venue, and I have to say the staff is absolutely top notch. Easy to work with, prompt with excellent follow up! The materials on there own were a little confusing but when they laid them out it was very easy to understand/ budget. Lovett hall was absolutely breathtaking, and is currently at the top of our list!

Definitely a great place to spend the day and appreciate all the ingenuity and leadership inventing and building such renown vehicles etc. I mean just some of the machining techniques and precision applications are impressive to say the least. You can literally spend all day here, they do have food and restaurants , which is a great thing.

Stopped by just to kill some time while in the Detroit area and was blown away. This is a world class museum that does an exceptional job of displaying and interpreting the history of the Industrial Revolution and how it has affected the human experience. You will spend hours here!

The wife and I had an great time during our time in the museum. A very massive museum. It would take someone at least three days if you stopped to read every placqured that would be there on every piece of equipment. Really enjoyed the history era about everyday life and the items that was used from the 1900' to 2020. The era took me back to my days of being a kid and re-visiting that era of 1980. Again its a very informative museum.

February 2024 - came here with family and friends. We had a good time with the paw patrol exhibit. A lot to see here and listen to. They have some new things since we have last visited. Race car game and they updated that area with some other things to do. Kids loved the automobile section. They added a plume market and a restaurant inside. You can buy wine from what I heard from two mom's. They have a nice gift shop and a lot of neat things to see.
The museum Greenfield Village is located in Detroit and was founded by Henry Ford. The attractions include buildings from America's history that have been relocated to the open-air museum. The land that the museum occupies is also used for forests, rivers, and pasture for horses and sheep.
Great place to spend the day. Cannot see it all in one day. One downside I would say, the trades area was not as big as I remember. Several smaller villages I know of, the have more trades. If there are multiple people entering or you know your going more than once get a membership.

If you like pioneer villages, well let me tell you, this is the Disney World of pioneer villages! It's so big, we couldn't do it all, will have to return someday. We rode the model t and carousel and train and they were so fun. Almost all the houses were staffed with knowledgeable people to explain stuff and answer questions. We had a frozen custard and it was scrumptious. Loved the crafting demonstrations. All the employees are dressed in period clothing and are so nice. Just a fantastic place. Hope to return someday.

This was a nice piece of the Henry Ford Museum/Theme Park, it is a great place to bring your kids and enjoy a day outside. Teach your kids some great American history, eat ice cream and take them for a ride in a model T. Everyone was so nice and seems like a lot of the staff have a piece of history tied to this place. I would definitely recommend a visit here while in Detroit.

The coolest museum I’ve ever been to. I love the living history and the array of buildings they have to offer. I wish more artists were at work in the crafts district. But for $40 per person I wish it didn’t cost extra to ride the train. Worth the price? Yes. But wow it’s expensive. Make sure you schedule a full day for this park!
Also it’s hard to find the ticket booth. When you enter the park, go to the building on the left. They should have a sign

Really nice place to spend a day walking around during nice weather. Lots of historical buildings that are reassembled onsite brick by brick. This includes Henry Ford's childhood house, the Wright brothers' workshop, Edgar Alan Poe's house and much more. Also got to ride around in an original working well-maintained Model-T cars with a chauffeur driving around the park, which is almost 100 years old.
Really cool place to check out! The only problem may be finding parking. I'd plan on coming earlier during the day to make sure you get a spot closer to the entrance.

We have visited the village twice now and it is still amazing. Where else can you go and see the home where the Webster American Dictionary was finished, the bike shop where the first airplane was designed and built, and the laboratory where the light bulb was perfected. So much history and American culture in one unique village. Loved it. You can see a full review and video on our blog site. Search for Our Haunted Travels.

We splurged this year for the Christmas meal at the Eagle Tavern. I highly recommend it. It was a delicious seasonal meal with great entertainment. I'm so glad that we purchased our tickets in October. Holiday Noah's was even better than ever. We were able to to enjoy the Village all night due to the mild weather. Of course a trip is not complete without roasted chestnuts and a cup of cocoa.

Attended the Christmas event they offered. We stopped by the Mini Donut Truck inside the park. After consuming the mini donuts, I got the worst food poisoning I’ve probably had in my life. I’m assuming the donuts might have been undercooked, as they had a huge line and most likely wanted to get orders out quick. The village had a few Christmas attractions, but it felt like it wasn’t as eventful as the Halloween one per se. Overall, I would give them another chance to see the village but maybe avoid the mini donuts this time.

Absolutely loved it. Total package is a little pricey and food price is pretty ridiculous but we loved it. So much history in one place. Ford purchased and relocated historic homes to those 80 acre lot. Beautiful location with Model T for hire that will give you rides around the town as well as a carousel and a steam train.

This place is a definite must see! I can not recommend it enough for all those history buffs out there. Most of the buildings are staffed with actors who are very knowledgeable about the history of the village and are eager to share their knowledge with you. Don’t forget to buy tickets for rides on a model t, the train, and the carrousel. Be prepared for a lot of walking. Bring strollers and wagons for the littles.

Interesting open-air history museum founded by Henry Ford with houses of famous Americans that were moved to this location. OK, that feels a little off that you take someones history and make it your own. However I really enjoyed this museum and it was really well preserved and museums inside the museums. It is really difficult to have a museum (open-air) with many houses that were actually build there.

Greenfield Village was an amazing experience we went to Greenfield Village but also to the Henry Ford Museum I took my daughter with me who's very much into learning about history and we enjoyed ourselves. All of the exhibits in the museum where really interesting and just seeing the evolution of cars and even the art pieces it was just really a great experience. Even the area that was dealing with black history was super informative I had never seen the actual bus that Rosa Parks was arrested from (and they had that actual bus) great experience for my kids. The Greenfield Village area with people dressed in the clothes that they wore back in during those times was really cool to see the cars that they drove in we rode on the train that was powered by coal... that was a really cool experience. Seeing how certain things were made like the Pottery area or area where they made the pottery and the guide told us about how it was made and what they used to actually decorate the pottery after it's been fired and glazed. Really cool and really good information. We got to see them actually blow glass they showed the actual method in which they used to create glass sculptures and things like that. It was really hot but it was really cool to watch... great experience overall! Definitely want to come back and take nieces and nephews and my other kids with me the next time that I go.

Can't recommend this place enough. World class museum. Outdoor activities at Greenfield Village are educational and enjoyable. It's great to visit during an off time because it's not as busy, but, Saturdays in the summer have much more interaction at the park - historical baseball games, farmers working, musicians playing, etc. I'd recommend checking the calendar of events for more! Kids play area is great.
Mall with outlet stores for popular brands, plus an aquarium, a Legoland center & restaurants.
It was Great!! Kids loved the carousel (5 x's) lol. We went to sea life aquariums & rain forest cafe, and alot of the stores that we don't have in Saginaw anymore. Absolutely worth the trip!!

A huge mall with various choices, may take the whole day to walk around and take a thorough look at every shop, but if you know what you want to buy, it’ll just take half a day. I came here first time on a weekday, so the parking lot was rather empty. The shops were easy to navigate; you just go straight from any entrance and there would be the number of “district” for your reference. The food court has some decent options but I wish there were more. The bowling/arcade game space is a fun stop for families. Other than that, there were not many differences in terms of deals or varieties of items (you can find the same in any TJMaxx, Marshalls, Macy’s, etc.)

The shopping was good, we got great deals, but they don't have any control of traffic. It's Black Friday; they were supposed to know they would be busy and traffic would occur. We are waiting about 3 hours to get out of the parking area. (Edit) A car caught fire, and we are still stuck for 5 hours! (Edit) Seven hours total, I'm sorry, but no more Black Friday in this place.

It’s a beautiful mall! Very big and “Michigan Largest Outlet Center” is a quite living up to its name. It is our first time visiting this mall.
Lots of big brand store and other store that are located in this mall. Surprisingly, there is an aquarium located within the mall as well bowling alley if you want to take a break. There’s is a lot of different activities inside. Aesthetically the mall has different theme as you move on different zone.
I live layout of the mall as well, it allows you to go in one direction and very fluid. This means you can visit all the store without going back and forth. There’s a lot of parking space, it didn’t take us that long to find one. Unless it was already late by the we got there. Speaking of time, you’re going to need almost half of your day if you want to visit store and find a good deal. Make sure you give yourself that amount time.
I will be back to this mall whenever we visit Michigan again!

The Detroit Zoo is an animal sanctuary that features a miniature railroad and exhibits a variety of global wildlife, including a polar bear exhibit. Visitors can take a full perimeter loop to see the various attractions, such as the ruined Detroit Children's Zoo and the restored aquarium with its paddle-nosed gar collection. The Dossin Great Lakes Museum offers insight into the region's maritime history with exhibits featuring artifacts like hydroplanes and anchors from sunken ships.
My family and I love coming to the Detroit Zoo. The yearly pass is a great value! It's a great way to get the kids outdoors, walking around and learning about the wildlife out there in the world. Many great food options are available here form snacks, to burgers, to Buddy's pizza. If you have a free day and are wondering what to do with it in the metro Detroit area, I highly suggest a zoo visit!

Was a really good experience. The lights were great had a good variety. The only complaint I would have would be they had VIP areas I guess they were called, with heaters and drinking areas, that had nobody in them. But we could not use them not even to go walk underneath a patio heater to warm up for a few minutes was kind of ignorant being that it was like 20° outside and there was nobody in these spaces except for the people GUARDING them. I HOPE IT PAID OFF FOR THEM BEING AS IT LOOKED LIKE NOBODY HAD PURCHASED VIP TICKETS. There was other people mumbling about it but all in all it was a good trip to see the lights.

Wow, I have been to a few zoos in my lifetime but this place tops my list.
Very walkable routes, easily accessible for all. Train ride helped with tired feet. Animal living quarters were phenomenally maintained and had beautiful scenery to look at, which the design allows patrons to get really up close to these majestic animals. We bought the daytime zoo visit and night light bundle, which was well worth the price. We entered the zoo around 3 pm and saw many animals including penguins, camels, otters, tigers, chimpanzees/gorillas. We didn’t finish visiting all of the animals because of time limit. We should have been there at 2 pm, which would allow us to visit the whole zoo before closure. So please plan well and have at least 2 hours for a full zoo tour. The night lights show was also amazing and interactive. We made wishes at the giant wish tree, which was a great memory.

Reasonably priced zoo with lots to see and do in a generally busy area. We went there recently for my birthday and we had a pretty good time! Haven't been there since I was a kid, so it was nice seeing the new penguin exhibit.
The enclosures here are spaced out and quite beautifully done. All the animals look happy and healthy. My favorite enclosure was the kangaroo one— it was super cool being able to go inside their habitat and walk alongside them.
Despite being the off season, almost all the exhibits were open, including a few restaurants. We spent a good three and a half hours there, taking our time to walk around. There's a lot of scenic walking trails, too.
Overall, definitely the nicest zoo here in Michigan! It's really well managed, and everyone that works here is very friendly.

Okay, so if you read negative reviews about this zoo, they were wrong. This park is nicely spaced out and features an open-air viewing of most exhibits. The food is on par with what you'd expect from a popular attraction. It is not the best burger you'll ever eat. It's not the worst either. The price is comparable to other parks. I have been too and cheaper, in my opinion. We spent the entire day at the zoo enjoying the various exhibits and attractions.

Go into the buildings! Look around! There's a lot of hideaways and interiors that people just kept walking by. The backside of the rhino exhibit was entirely empty and it was right beside them! Look at my pic! Zoo is very well built up and they take great care of the paths. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable, willing to share without hesitation. Food staffing were great too! I'm very impressed.

Kids have fun, but the zoo seemed like it had a lot of exhibits that were closed or under construction, and there was a lack of open vendors when the zoo was aware that the large groups of schools coming that day, it was a warm day when it got xloser to noon & so the kids wanted frozen drinks but they ran out of $10 cups so they could sell them in regular cups for the same price. All in all I prepaid the ticket & parking but there are no signs to tell you where you park but the attendant asks if you bought parking. You really need 3 hours to visit the zoo nicely. Hopefully, they have all the exhibits open when & if we return again.

What an absolutely amazing place for long walks and sightseeing. All the variety and nature wonders and exotic animals to see. Except for the beaver 🦫. I have never seen the beaver. It’s supposed to be there, but never been seen. One time i saw a couple of visitors passing by and one way saying to another: “I don’t think there is a beaver in there. They just have a sign 🪧 but no beaver in there” 😂 Hopefully one day I’ll get to see that shy one in there. Zoo is well taken care of , very clean , spacious, animals are well treated and look healthy and nicely taken care of. It’s not an easy work. But staff is doing a really great job. This is a historic place and I’m happy to be a member and enjoy it as often as possible. Highly recommend to get a membership as it’s totally worth it! And hopefully I’ll get to see that beaver one day 😊

Detroit Zoo is a world class zoo with conservation at its core. It’s open all year round, though in certain weather, some exhibits will be closed with animals viewable from indoor enclosures. Additionally, warm weather activities like the carousel, face painting, etc., as well as some of the eateries close during the winter.
Table28, the zoo’s main restaurant is open year round and the prices compare to an average diner. There’s also a cafe to get coffee, espresso and tea drinks. Fun fact: Table28 was named for the opening year, 1928.
There are tons of picnic areas and places to rest. You will likely see at least one of the many peacocks roaming free around zoo grounds. There is also a playground for younger kids.
Will plan add more photos after our next visit. Don’t be like me and make sure your phone is sufficiently charged before you go. ☺️

Christmas wild lights was spectacular! Was here 5 years ago, so glad we came back, there is now a theme to the lights and I really enjoyed the ocean/sea creatures theme! Was so much fun to visit with family over the Christmas holidays. Parking was easy ($8), staff were present to guide you to a spot. It was very festive, the kids loved all the lights. There was a small interactive corner with the wishing tree, see saw, lit up train and bear for the children to hang out. Lots of little rest stops selling hot drinks and snacks to warm up in if you got too cold. There was a nice carousel in the middle so the children loved that! Overall we had a lot of fun and spent about 1.5-2hrs here!

It was only a 35 min drive from my place in Canada, so there was convenience. Parking was great and organized. Pay when you get tickets. I don’t know if we missed some, but it only took about an hour to walk through and we stopped and Waited for hot chocolate at one of the stores. The areas were clean and the ground was even and easy to walk through. The difference between our local lights and this, their displays were huge and had so many fun animals. So many children were there just loving the atmosphere.
It’s rather expensive in my opinion. Parking and 2 tickets cost $81 Canadian, our local lights are free, and has local vendors selling their products and food trucks and it seems to cover a similar amount of ground, the displays are just a bit smaller at home

Cool Zoo, just make sure you go in season. Early spring, many renovations are going on and animals don’t seem to be as active. Make sure you eat first, because as expected, food is $$$$. If you get a chance to go for the Christmas lights, those are amazing.

I have visited a lot of zoos, I was so impressed. Detroit Zoo is definitely a must see! Look for the kangaroos, red pandas, or the reptile exhibit. All will wow you! We walked 4 miles, so wear your good walking shoes and bring a lunch!
Family-friendly exhibits with a variety of sea creatures (most offer play areas & group packages).
Never knew this place existed until a few weeks ago, and decided to give it a try on a whim. The atmosphere was very nice, and the exhibits and tanks were well laid out for easy viewing at any pace. We never felt too rushed to get through them in the time we had.
It wasn't too crowded during our visit, though there were a few points where waiting was definitely required due to narrow hallways and small viewing spaces, though not nearly enough to cause an issue.
Definitely a very unique experience overall, and a must-see if you're visiting the mall for the first time.

Loved it!! Took 5 of my grandchildren, it's amazing seeing there reactions. They were thrilled with the glass tunnel, we must have been in there for an hour. Many pictures of them in the aquariums with the fish.
Thank you, we all will be back, probably with more grandkids!!

If you've been to Ripley's in Toronto then this is a great alternative for the price. It had some neat features where you do feel like you're under the water for children and adults. A bit small but worth the price paid.

Alex was absolutely amazing, she was so knowledgeable and kind.
The photo packages are outlandish 🤣 but that's to be expected.
Was pleased with every exhibit, wish we would have done the behind the scenes!
One of my only complaints is that there was an area (that was clearly hard to access, but still) near the kids play area was visibly extremely dirty and had a mouse trap that needed clearing, but we're from the country we're used to it.
Sincerely overall, was a great experience.

My fiance and I went and had an absolute ball! I literally felt like I was scuba diving or snorkeling the whole time! So much stunning, beautiful sea life, including some I've never seen or heard of before! I would love to go back sometime! Thanks for having us! 💙💙💙💙

Such a beautiful aquarium with nice visual features! My 16 & 12yr old loved it! Not just for really small children. I really enjoyed myself too. Especially the petting of the sea anemones & star fish. It was not too crowded and we were able to take our time going through. They do not accept cash in the gift shop nor for admission tickets, which were $23.99 for a regular adult ticket. To see the peaceful & amazing sealife, it was worth it!

Totally worth it for small kids, took my almost 3yr old, and it was perfect for her. I think it would be cool for kids up to 10 or so, which is basically the oldest I say in there. We will be going back

For the price of the aquarium it could have been better or a bit longer. The staff are beyond amazing in full detail when it comes to the sea life. Loved hearing about the turtles. Very clean. Touching the starfish will always be my favorite.

It's cute! Solid 3.5. Had neat stations and view globes for kids. Touch tank. Nice variety for the available space. Very clean and the tanks were very well kept.

This place is very well designed and taken care by enthusiastic crew members. Melissa is one of them, she is very knowledgeable and passionate about Sea Life inhabitants! It was a lot of fun for the kids and adults as well! Make sure to order the tickets online in advance, because we saw people who couldn't buy tickets at the entrance and had to leave. It was Saturday plus spring break, and already they had too many visitors inside.

Pretty cool displays and amazing areas to just watch the fish and aqua life! The only negatives are that it is kind of pricy for how fast we got through it, only took 30 mins from start to finish and stopping at everything. We loved the tunnel and the kids really liked all the little places to pop into the aquariums. I also wish there was more touch ponds or tanks, but all in all, pretty cool.

Beautiful exhibits that kept us oohing and aahing all throughout! We took our toddlers who loved the experience almost as much as we did! It doesn't take long to get through (maybe an hour?) but it was worth it. We bought our tickets online the night before to play it safe. Made for a quick check in and ensured we had a chance to get in.

Great experience for all! From check in, to the gift shop at the end, all the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The exhibits were highly informative, interactive and all around a lot of fun. It is a bit small so does get pretty crowded at certain areas, but is definitely worth stopping in for! The gift shop is card only, so be prepared for that!

Nice aquarium that is family friendly. Very educational and great views. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. My child was to young to do the touching pool and staff brought a toy star fish for him to touch. I loved the mermaid head sculpture and the jelly fish.

This aquarium is very beautiful with lots to see. They have really cool viewing areas for the children, and a lot of learning opportunities for sea life and conservation. The aquarium was very clean and the animals inside seemed very loved and cared for.
The staff was very knowledgeable on the names of the creatures, their species, and their stories.
I just have an issue with their business practices in general. They change the time they stop allowing guests in everyday there’s no consistency in when they stop allowing in customers. Not only that but their hours mention being open to 7 but they allow their last guest in at 5:30, that was monday. Imagine our surprise coming to the door at 6 and being told they let the last guest in at 5:30. Today on tuesday they allowed their last guest in at 5. It doesn’t make any sense and it makes it hard to visit the establishment for working parents.
Luckily today David heard our pleas after arriving five minutes past 5 and allowed us to take our daughter in. We tried to take her on her birthday but missed the window by 30 minutes. Luckily we made up for it today. Thank you David for helping us out.
Tip: get the tickets online in advance for an idea of when you’ll be allowed to enter since the timing is so inconsistent.

Lots of sea creatures, I was pleasantly surprised. We loved the eels and sea turtles. They have an ocean tunnel, stingray Bay, and tide pools. Great place to take kids.

Very cool aquarium with awesome exhibit views, and fun activities for all ages. It did get a little congested at times, this was probably caused by the amount of strollers and wagons.
Scott DeGood — Google review
A very inviting place for kids and adults of all ages. Fun photo ops in aquarium display bubbles. Touch and feel area. Interactive play area for kids to make their own fish on a touch screen and send it to a virtual aquarium.
It can be very relaxing at times, but when busy it can feel crowded or overwhelming. Try to come at a lesser crowded time to make the most of your stay.
I would say you only need about 1.5-2 hours max if you are taking your time, taking some pictures, putting sea anemones, but it can be done in 45 minutes to an hour if you breeze through.
Offers reciprocal discount if you have membership at another aquarium/zoo/etc.

It was beautiful , $30 ain't going lie way too much to walk around a big aquarium $15 better price it was a 30 min walk , it was packed . It was quick could of least given the children a goodie bag or something for $30 I'm just saying........ It was nice doe

This aquarium is amazing for being located inside of a mall. I really like stingrays, and they had multiple tanks that included them. The shark tunnel was awesome, and the large shark was pretty much always in view. The staff was very knowledgeable and informed us about the animals in different tanks we were viewing. We went on a Friday afternoon and there was no wait to get in. The aquarium wasn’t very busy, and we had plenty of time to view what we wanted unobstructed. 🪼🪼
The Detroit Institute of Arts is an art museum located in Detroit, Michigan. It was founded in 1885 and has since grown to house over 100 galleries with a range of American and international art on display from ancient to modern eras. The Beaux-Arts building was designed by Paul Cret and quickly became the temple of art, adding two wings in the 1960s and 1970s.
The Detroit Institute of Arts was an absolutely amazing experience! The exhibits, architecture, and artwork are top notch and this is one of my favorite museums I have ever visited! We spent all day here and I feel like we still didn't even scratch the surface. If I could change anything I would have planned to come right at opening so we could experience this for the entirety of opening! You will be amazed at the beauty of this museum, I highly recommend it!

This place is beautiful! The staff is so wonderful and friendly and helpful. You can buy tickets once you get there but if you buy them in advance, it goes faster. Elevators and stairs, bathrooms on every floor. 3 floors total. Price of tickets aren't bad either. Went to the Van Gogh exhibit, but will definitely be back to see the rest.

Good museum with a variety of collections. A variety of collections from across the world. Some areas are better represented than others in terms of history of the art from the region.
Some interactive bits across the galleries for young patrons. A few more interactive moments would be nice, and would provide more talking points for groups who visit the galleries.
Asia, Africa, and Hellenistic collections are good introductions to the arts. The gallery on Egypt showcases select pieces, and makes for a great introduction to the culture. Native American section represents art pieces from the south, central and north America. Residents of Wayne county have free entry on select days at the museum.

There are so many exhibits to check out. It's nice to wander in and out of rooms filled with ancient to modern items. It's a really nice collection. Make sure you have about 4 hours to see everything and grab a bite in the cafe. Lots of decent options to chose from. Parking across the street is convenient and only $7.

such a great place! The tour guides are phenomenal. The art is beautiful, the facility is beautiful, and there is so much enriching education to be had, including history! I enjoyed reading about the history here. The displays are well thought out, and there are even ways for the kids to get involved, including a "seek and find" in certain rooms.
I took a public tour and it was really engaging and a wonderful way to learn about the museum, the artists, the art, and the story behind it all.
I was happily surprised to find out that they have many other programs throughout the week! I am so excited to come back.

There is just so much to see. I could spend days just staring at the artwork. Mind you I am partial to art. We went and they had a car exhibit and they were so unique. Also seeing a real life van Gogh painting was really cool. I'd definitely go again. They also had art from Mexico, middle east, native Americans, Japan and Korea. I love international art so it was fun to look at everything. Also seeing a real life mummy was really cool but creepy to think there's a skeleton in there.

Excellent customer service from Cameron at the entrance, which was the start of an amazing experience of artwork displayed from many eras and with famous artists and different cultures. We were there for a couple of hours and did not complete a full

What a great museum and the collection is more than great. I so didn’t expect it. First floor with African, Asian etc art with great narrative and stories. Very engaging to read. Also, I loved landscapes by American artists, 2h at the museum was not enough. Will come back! Not to mention an astonishing mural by Diego Rivera. Also, thanks to very polite staff of the museum - made me feel very welcomed.

Large museum with lots to see. The exhibits don’t flow very well, so take a map to be able to follow your path if you want to make sure you see everything. Very cool cafe inside, museum architecture itself is interesting. Weekend day was not too crowded in the afternoon which was nice. $14 for adult, $8 if you’re a student, reasonable prices.

Incredible museum! This place is huge. We came right at 9am and it was great, quiet and not a lot of people until later on. It’s beautiful here and so much to see. We spent about 3 hours and still wasn’t enough to get through the whole place. The little cafe is beautiful, great spot to grab a coffee and snack while taking a break. The history here is amazing, everything is placed beautifully and tons of information. Have to come back for a full day to really take our time and enjoy!

Fantastic art museum with friendly staff members! Upon entering, I was met by an enthusiastic staff member who explained the layout of the museum to me, and then struck by the majestic Great Hall. But the highlight lied beyond the great hall - seeing Diego Rivera's Detroit Industry Murals in person was such an awe-inspiring experience! There were staff members stationed in the area, one of whom had a great chat with me surrounding my questions about the murals.
The Rivera murals was not the only reason that made the visit worthwhile - I found that the museum has quite a comprehensive art collection, not just of Western art movements from medieval to modern times, but also of non-Western art. The African and Islamic galleries were pretty good-sized, although the Egyptian gallery was a bit disappointing. It would have also been nice if the museum put more thought into the re-creations of the cultures' architecture; the current re-creations seemed half-baked with artifacts combined with modern materials.
Depite that, the interior architecture of the museum was quite varied and worth seeing for an architecture enthusiast. I liked the modern designs of the stairs and Prentis Court as well as the historic-comtemporary charms of Kresge Court (which very well reflects the identity of the city!).
In all, I only had 2.5 hours to spend at the museum and that was only enough for an in-depth visit to about half of the galleries. A jewel and a must-visit in the city!

One of the absolute most unique and interesting collections I have ever seen. Not many public art facilities match up to DIA. It can get crowded but the staff is willing to lend knowledge even if you aren't on your. The lady that explained the Diego Rivera mural was the highlight of the day.

I am a huge museum visitor, and this collection is by far one of the best I’ve seen in the US. Not only that, but the courtyards are stunning. I only spent about five hours here and saw maybe 1/3? I recommend visiting it over two days. Enjoy lunch or drinks in the cafe- the flatbread and summer drinks were amazing.
All in all, this is one of my top places to visit recently. I highly recommend.

The museum has an amazing and diverse collection. My particular favorites were the Native American, Impressionists, and Modern exhibits. And the gift shop is a collection all by itself! Amazing! I even enjoyed the curry chicken salad at their Cafe.
I didn't see everything, and I'll definitely return!

One of the highlights for sure is to see the Diego Rivera mural. This mural is enormous in size and absolutely mesmerizing. This will be my second visit here and I really enjoyed both of my visits. During this last visit I had the opportunity to see a wonderful photography exhibit by James Barnor, this series followed his work from his early days of filming in black and white to his later years of using color. I enjoyed the photos so much I bought his book. I love this museum and will continue to visit it each time I pass through Michigan. Detroit is a fabulous city with much more to offer than expected and this museum is the same. Parking is easy, staff are friendly and helpful, there is a cafeteria and a indoor cafe that feels like you are in an outdoor courtyard. There is a great gift shop, beautiful building, clean bathrooms and many exhibits of all types. Whatever type of art you are interested in they have something that will satisfy! Support the arts and this community and pay a visit here and just down the street check out the modern art museum as well.

A tremendous collection of art pieces from all over the world, covering centuries of different cultures. Very impressive and certainly a “good deal” for the cost of entry.
I would knock off 0.5 stars if it were possible, simply because the layout of the rooms becomes very confusing and you may end up missing some exhibits because you almost get lost on the floors.
Wish the flow was just a bit better organized…

I spent a great deal of my childhood at this museum and was very excited to bring my family. The Diego Rivera is a must but there are a great many musts, and it is very kid-friendly. They had a cozy coffee cafe in the courtyard and a lunchroom. It is still an amazing collection, impossible to see everything in a single visit, and I am looking forward to returning on our next visit to Michigan.
Our visit was on the weekday. We found street parking that was good for 2 hours only. Download the app; you can renew only exactly when the 2 hours is up. Backpacks are not allowed. The front desk directed us to the FREE and secure lockers.
The only downside was we had 3 interactions with security; two for being warned that we were too close to an exhibit (?) and the 3rd for leaving out of an exit door behind other patrons only to be told it wasn't an exit. A sign off to the side said "Emergency Exit". Very poorly placed. Oddly enough, I've heard this same complaint from other patrons both friends/family and on Internet reviews.

An impressive place. I heard a rumor, years ago, that the city was thinking of selling off the art in an attempt to raise cash to avoid bankruptcy. I'm very glad that didn't happen.
This is a really nice museum! Three floors with exhibits from Native Americans, S. Korea, Africa, South & S.E. Asia, Egypt plus the more expected European (Italian, British & Dutch when I was there (3/21)) works. Marble busts, huge canvases, metalwork, ceramics, masks, beadwork and more.
And if you live in the three counties (Macomb, Wayne & Oakland) you get in for free. The parking is $7 across the street.
We (my teenage son & I) meandered thru in just over two hours, saw all three floors, but didn't linger anywhere. Kind of a "drive by" viewing experience.
Guided tours and school groups were also there on the 1st day of spring.

This is truly a world-class museum. In my particular area of interest, Medieval through Baroque art, the collection is equal to the best. The Dutch and American paintings have few peers. This is an encyclopedic collection, and there are excellent Native American and Asian sections, although the Egyptian and Classical collections are not a strong point. I spent three blissful days here and didn't see everything; I'll definitely be back!

The DIA is one of the true treasures of Detroit.
I have been dozens of times and will continue to go every so often. The art is amazing but the architecture of the building itself is breathtaking.
Entry is free for Wayne and Oakland county residents, not sure about others.

What a great stadium! My family and I were up from Indiana and attended our first Tigers game. Let's see where do I begin. This stadium does have a bag/purse policy. So if you plan on attending a ball game, make sure your purse is a wristlet 4 x 6. We had no issues bringing my granddaughter stroller in. It was actually a breeze going through security. The decor of Tigers 🐅 displayed in and around the ballpark was great. This ballpark is very kid friendly. My granddaughter enjoyed riding on the carousel. I have no complaints. I do, however, have a confession 🤦♀️. I'm not a huge baseball fan. 😬 This was my first major league baseball game. We were invited by friends so we weren't going to turn the opportunity down. I felt like the stadium was very nice, clean and a lot of food and drink options. Obviously not without draining your pockets, but that is expected at any sports venue.

Comerica Park is so far the best baseball field I have been to. They have so many great food options including the classics like hot dogs and sausages, along with fair food like corn dogs and elephant ears, and others like tacos, nachos, pizza, ice cream, and more. There were a lot of people there but I never felt crowded. The seats have a lot of space around them. It was a very fun and comfortable experience. My daughter and I went to the Tigers vs. St. Louis Cardinals games on May 1, 2024. We had a great time. It was her first professional baseball game.
We walked around and saw the carousel and different statues that were there.
If you buy food and drink, be prepared to spend about $100 on 2 people... plus souvenirs. I forgot my hat and had to buy a new one while I was inside. The hat was about $30. The cheapest food item I saw was $6. And that was for a bottle of water.
Overall, we had an amazing time watching them play!!!

Not impressed with the Kiosk system. People INSIDE were Great- people At Ticket windows, rude as can be, AS IF they're Doing You a favor getting paid to sell or accept tickets. Poor setting for concert- concrete baseball bleachers. Prices are Disgusting- 8.95 for a Hot Dog on rollers. 8$ for a 16oz water. ABSOLUTELY NO SMOKING AREA. Not enough restrooms, vendors, nada. We went. We enjoyed the show- from damn near the furthest row away from the stage. No Regular beer, All Craft or Light. We agreed, we don't care to go back. It was an experience we'd never had, and, neither care to go a second time. Not even for a ball game.

Had a great family night out! The Tigers didn't win, but it was a fun game anyway! Even if you aren't that into baseball, it is a great place to go for the food, activities for the children and great atmosphere! They do have a purse/backpack and diaper bag rule now, so be aware of that. You can't bring in purses or bags over a certain size, but they do offer complimentary bag check! I gave them my bag, and they took my name and phone number and gave me a ticket to bring back to retrieve my bag after the game. You can go pick it up at any time, of course, and you have up to 30 minutes to go get it once the game is over. It was a very efficient and smooth process! In all, it was a great evening and game. The food is always great and there is always something for everyone, just make sure you bring enough money. It's by no means super expensive, but not super cheap either. You do get what you pay for by way of quantity and quality, so that is a plus! In all, I can't wait to go back!

Although, I miss the Tigers Stadium of my youth in Cork Town - taking my family (happily Californian Ex-Pats) to their first Tigers Game at Commerica Park was Fantastic!
What a beautiful ballpark with great views and amenities suitable for all.
A great family day to remember!

This used to be my favorite place to go. But this time before it's great, it's actually uncool. We booked our tickets online, we got in, - but were not able to go to our seats. Understandable, - it was raining and the game was delayed. Everyone needed to be undercover (because of lightning and heavy rain).
Once you're inside the venue you can't re-enter. Very much of a downside if you have kids. Often you forget something in the car (girlfriends or kids phone), or you need to medicate.
Also smokers have to survive without smoking for several hours. (The smoking section has been permanently closed ) They will not accommodate the customer, won't create a smoking section or even let people re-enter after they like to smoke outside.
We spent for 2 of us close to 1k for for just this day, including tickets, parking, food, drinks and updated fan attire - we like to support,
The drinks are expensive....... You can buy for sure a 12pack for the price of one beer here, - a water bottle is half the price, impressively similar is a cocktail .....
After all, we'll not be back unless we get invited - but even then I'll warn my friends about the smoking

Went to see the Cardinals play in Detroit at Comerica Park, located in downtown Detroit. Solid park. I love a ballpark downtown. It’s a modern stadium with two iconic features… the tiger statues and the outfield fountain.
Loved all the marketing using the D. I sat in the lower bowl with club access. The club was fantastic and offered elevated food for a ballpark like salads and wrap. Oh and probably my favorite thing was the Baseball Ferris Wheel.
Glad I went. Cards lost. :o(

Lines to get in were long, with limited metal detectors. I do appreciate they had a few at least. The food options were minimal and everything we had was awful. Nice jersey giveaway upon entrance. Tigers lost. Fans were cool. Stadium seems small compared to some others.

Comerica Park was a pretty nice ball park. Originally from St. Louis and Busch Stadium is nowhere near as nice as this. So much room to walk around a lot of food choices. There could be a few more bathrooms but all in all a really great place to visit.
Belle Isle is an island in the Detroit River and home to attractions such as the Belle Isle Aquarium, Conservatory, Nature Center, and Beach. In addition to its recreational areas, it's also a place where maritime history is remembered with exhibits at the Dossin Great Lakes Museum. Named for Revolutionary War general James Belle, it was opened to the public in 1882.
This is the most amazing park. It's pretty large and I suspect that it is busy in the warmer months. We had gone in March. We had a wonderful time at the museums. There is a lot of room to find a good spot to hang out for the day. There are plenty of grills, picnic tables, and places to sit. The views of Detroit and Canada are very good. It's pretty easy navigating around the park. You'll figure it out after driving around for a bit.

I love Belle Isle. Some times I would just chill inside my car and listen to music and vibe. Other times we would park and walk around and explore. There are some amazing views. Amazing trails with hidden chill spots in them. Overall one of my favorite places to go.

For an $11 day pass, how can you go wrong? Nice views, relaxing atmosphere and a cool fountain with a couple of good food trucks lurking. Its a shame I didnt have time to see the Nature Centre but at Sunset Point is the perfect view between Windsor and Detroit. Plenty of parking and very safe with lots of patrols.

So beautiful on so many levels. It was a bit breezy when we went but still a wonderful day. Got to walk by the water and see the conservatory, the abandoned casino and so much more. We will be taking many trips here to spend the day with how beautiful it is

A very pretty park, although the aquarium is EXTREMELY SMALL, so if you go thinking it's an actual aquarium, you will be disappointed. The conservancy is very nice and everything is free. What a great community asset

Belle Isle has been a go to place for me and my family since childhood. Events there are spectacular, especially enjoy the kite festival, the beach, the driving range, fishing, photography, athletic fields, and so much more. If you’re ever looking for something to do, you can’t go wrong taking a couple laps around the island. Enjoy scenic views, soak in the nature. Experience a little bit of Up North right in our urban city. Since the state of Michigan took it over from the City of Detroit that has progressed by leaps and bounds.

Beautiful park and clean. I took a Uber to reach the entrance but you can also walk and crossed the bridge. It's 1h+ walking from downtown (let's say starting at Monument "The fist') You can rent a bike $18 for 2h (be careful of the sense of circulation) there is a beach where you can swim. I couldn't visit an aquarium and the garden.

Gorgeous natural space so close to the city. Will have to come back another time when the aquarium is open. Cruising around the isle even empty was really fun.

Belle Isle is one of the most Beautiful parks in Detroit!! I've been going to this park since I was a little girl and always loved it! It is well kept always clean and the safe place to go and just have fun barbecue lay out in the sun or just stand on the riverfront or go fishin. Belle Isle is open from 5:am until 10: pm.....

The state has been working really hard to spruce this park up and it shows. They are adding more and more to the gardens each year, renovating the flower house, and other projects. It’s a fun place to picnic, watch freighters go by, or take a hike. There’s also an aquarium, a nature center, and a museum.

Good spot for family trips on nice days. Knocked off one star b/c often I smell weed in the parking lot near the playgrounds. It's not teenagers smoking, usually the parents. I don't know if the park can do anything about it (doubt it), aside from that it's a great place.

I honestly can't believe I've lived 30 minutes from here most of my life. I now live in Indiana and I was visiting family and decided to check it out. It was beautiful. Went during the week it wasn't crowded but everything was closed which kinda sucked but the beach was nice and we went for a nice walk. Bathrooms kinda gross though. Atleast at the beach.
Point Pelee National Park is a small but scenic area located at the southernmost tip of Canadian mainland that features numerous beaches and opportunities for observing birds and butterflies. The park's location on a migratory bird path makes it an ideal spot to view various species of winged creatures, including Monarch butterflies. Visitors can stroll along boardwalks in the marshes, climb lookout towers for breathtaking views, or relax on sandy beaches.
Went for the 2022 birding festival. It was amazing. Park is really well kept. There are active conservation projects ongoing within the park, which is nice to see. All the staff were amazing. It's about 9$ per person to gain access for the day. 2 shops. They sell small snacks (chips candy etc) and cold drinks, so you need to pack a lunch for yourself. Nice clean bathrooms. Our guided tours for the birding festival were AMAZING. The tour guides were so so friendly and knowledgeable. Would 100% book those again.

Amazing park! Marsh and trails full of cute frogs and turtles, pretty water lily and lots of birds. Great for bird watching, make sure to bring binocular. Another spectacular site is the top of Canada, surrounded by water from 3 directions, almost feels like at the edge of another dimension. Really worth visiting. Great restaurant nearby for fresh water yellow perch, and definitely recommend spend a day in the park. Amenities are clean and very convenient, free shuttle bus to the tip is frequent. 5/5!

The Southern-most point on the Canadian mainland is worthy of a full day trip. The marsh boardwalk is amazing and best enjoyed when the sun is not overhead. The "tip" is fascinating and a great place to watch the sapphire water and lots of birds. And if you can stay late, it becomes a star-gazers paradise.

Great weekend getaway!! It is the Southern most tip of Canada. Spent almost half a day here walking around and enjoyed the fresh air.
Shuttle service is available to the tip and is frequently operated for every 10 to 15 minutes. Well marked trails. The Tip tower is closed for some reason.
A lot of bird migration happens here in the park and it is a birder’s paradise.
Serene and peaceful National park and would definitely go back again.

This is the southern most point of mainland Canada, with beautiful beaches, trails, and a marsh boardwalk. And there’s so much to do, it’s the perfect place for kayaking, bird watching, trail hiking, having a picnic in the summer, or just going for a drive. For me summer is always nice to enjoy the fresh air and the scenery.

Park is huge. There were webs of caterpillars scattered throughout the park ,blanketing the trees. It was very strange to see the density and quantity in the park. Very beautiful greenery. Arrived at the visitor center, very fun viewings and exhibits. Free shuttle to the main attraction of the Ontario 'tip'. It was a short walk to the point where you take a pic and move on as tourists are in a constant rotation.
I loved the park, the extensive shoreline and beach scenery but I absolutely hated one major thing: the flies, the swarming insects that bombard you like they are protecting the park from human intruders. It was so bad ,no amount of repellent prevented their never ending attacks. Had to cut the trip short around that area. Still worth the trip. There are other park spaces to explore..one area in the marshes was very nice.Lots of birds and you can rent a canoe in groups or solo. Won't return but I am glad I experienced the park.

Loved every bit of it. The lake looks marvelous, and the lakeside wind will definitely put a smile on your face. Refreshing and soothing. The beaches are nice, too. There is a marshland where you can do a boardwalk. One downside is that you won't have a great signal once you are around the visitor center. But it's fine in other parts of the park.

Beautiful National park. Rented Kayaks at Peele Wings shop. Very friendly staff. Lots of trails for hiking ( very easy trails)…biking or driving around. You pay at the main gate and drive in. To get to the tip you need to walk ( about 1km). Spotting Bald Eagle was very cool at the marsh area.

We were really lucky to get the best weather in August 2023 as Canada got the majority of rain during the summer months!
We drove right up to the visitor center and took the mini train to "The Tip." The train ride is not only cute but super scenic 😍
It's around a 10 - 15-minute walk (depending on your speed) right to the end, and yes, it's truly nature's wonder seeing blue waters on both sides as you walk the stretch of sand. The west waters are more aggressive, while the east side is calm. So if you stop on the beaches marked along the way, choose the one on the east side.
Once back at the visitor center, we were able to catch the snake show at the auditorium. They have a cute little gift shop in there and a small discovery center for kids to explore around. The washrooms are clean and well maintained. A must visit for all!!

What an absolutely beautiful national park! 100% worth visiting. Unfortunately I could only stay for a few hours, but I could have easily spent the entire day here. There are hikes (I don’t think they’re very challenging), picnic areas, swimming beaches, and lots of other activities to do. I loved going to the tip area, and the scenery was just incredible. I also love the range of sceneries you can get at this park, to Sandy beaches and rough waves to just kilometres of marsh (highly recommend the marsh boardwalk, by the way). If you’re ever in the area BE SURE to visit!!!

Great place to visit and must see to put in bucket list, we had a great time, we were 5 so we paid parking and group day pass for 16 dollars,. We drove until the visitor center. Ride the bus to go to the tip, it runs every 15 minutes or you can hike to reach the tip. There are clean washroom and lots of picnic tables.

Magical Lake side park location and one of the most beautiful yet most underrated parks in Ontario!
It's a large park with many small destinations for you to look for, varying from camp sites to beaches to nature reserves. And the nature reserves (wetlands) area is a must-go! It features a long floating bridge/track to walk into the wetlands and enjoy what it has to offer. Because it's a nature reserve, you can see birds, swans, insects (not the ones that bug you). There's also an observation deck to check on the whole area, amazing!
The other famous attraction from the park the the point of course, which is where the park get its name from. So I heard it has a nickname "Ontario's Maldive". I'd say it definitely live up to it (aside from the fact that you cannot get into the water because of generous tides). Taking the park's own tram takes you to the southern most pit of Ontario, which is already a pleasant experience. You'll get the best view to Lake Erie and the shiny sand, all of which give you the vibe of Maldive and tropical scene.
Highly recommended!

We visit Point Pelee once a year and it never disappoints. We go during the week in September and its never too busy. We can always find a spot on either side of the peninsula on the beach to chill with our dogs. The trails are always well groomed and all the facilities are clean. Dogs are welcome (on leash) and the cost for the day is excellent, $7.50 per adult, much better than most conservation areas and tons more to explore. Youth under 17 years of age are Free!
The boardwalk Marsh walk is also very nice and an easy walk for those that may struggle on the trails.

Point Pelee National Park is a natural gem with diverse ecosystems, stunning views, and abundant wildlife. The "Tip" offers breathtaking panoramas. Enjoy birdwatching, serene walks, and canoeing. Don't miss the Marsh Boardwalk. The park's flora is impressive. The Visitor Centre is informative. A must-visit for nature lovers! It’s a long drive from Toronto but totally worth it

Took a trip to Point Pelee for the day and spent about 6-7 hours here just walking around and enjoying the fresh air, also reading all the historical signs and donated benches from families who have been enjoying the park for generations. It was absolutely beautiful, we did take a moment to dip our feet in the water but of course NOT BY THE POINT!! We found out that it’s actually really dangerous to go anywhere in the water towards the point because of the rapid currents and you can definitely see them from land. I definitely want to come back but with bikes this time! (If it’s not the middle of the summer season bring a long sleeve or jacket, it tends to get really cold and breezy)

Point Pelee National Park is the southernmost territory of Canada, at about 42th parallel latitude. This is a place with various of plants and animals, especially birds. I saw dozens kinds of birds, even if I visited here in March, I can imagine how exuberant here in summer time.

Got to enjoy Point Pelee for the recent solar eclipse! Awesome park! The staff we're very friendly and they had a great ability to handle the large influx of crowds that day. The park itself is pretty large so we were not able to explore the entire thing, especially with the crowds, but what we did see was beautiful!
Can't wait to visit again to explore the rest!

I have visited this place for almost 3-4 times and I can't get over it. The most southern end of Ontario at Point Peele is adventurous and thrilling experience where two sides of the same lake meets and creates beautiful waves. Winter conditions might affect hours and view point but its still worth going to observe natural ecosystem.

It's always a great 👍 experience coming to this mall with my wife and kids. Quite some stores had closed 😕 and moved out of this mall. The atmosphere 👌 is great 👍 along with the radio 📻 😀 playing ▶️ in the background throughout the whole mall. The fire 🔥 place in the center of the mall is awesome 👌 and a good 👍 spot to stop ✋️ by and get warm during mild and cold 🥶 temperatures 🌡. Also, they used to have plenty of food spots to stop ✋️ by to have a quick bite to eat while you're shopping 🛍. During the holiday season, this mall is decorated throughout. It's nice 😌 to be able to bring dogs 🐕 here and come across other dogs 🐕 pet owners. They have a cool 😎 play-place area for young kids and a little splash pad area that runs during the hot seasons. Other than that, they have quite some good 👍 stores to shop in, plus a Starbucks coffee ☕️ shop, bubble tea place, ice cream place, and an MJR movie 🎬 theater 🎥. Nonetheless, it's an awesome 👌 mall to visit 😊 and hang out 😊.

Other good stores and restaurants as well. Been to Brio and PF Chang's and both are great. Having an Apple store in the mall is also convenient.

It is nice having a place that you can bring dogs to walk while also shopping. The place is really nice during the lights for the holidays; in the summer it is a great mall to go and walk around some. The stores are okay, I just wish there were more. The two big vacant stores could easily be turned into an area for other smaller stores; it feels like I do not have many places to shop for what I normally look for. Men's clothing stores are extremely scarce and there is only one traditional sneaker store (Champs). I think it would be great for them to find a sneaker and streetwear resell shop to put in here. There are very few in the area.

Kind of disappointed that it's summer time in the whole mall closes at 8:00. We went to walk around after our dinner to try to catch a snack or a sweet item and everything was closed. They do have a box lunch out here now so that's pretty cool but I couldn't even go inside. Even the live music that they had sounded like it was pretty good but we didn't make it to check it out because it was over so quickly
Edit: they still close pretty early. But there is a new little shop that I enjoy looking around in. Overrated I think it was called. Also the artisan items at Inspire marketplace are a wonderful find. Just get out there early as the mall closes at 7.

Budweiser Gardens was an excellent host for an excellent evening with James Taylor and Jackson Browne. Arena concerts have come a long way. The sound was of high quality. Our seats were comfortable and the leg room was ample. Sight lines were not an issue in the least. The concourse was pretty much jammed but "traffic" flow was steady. All this to say, I'll happily return to Budweiser Gardens for other events.

Budweiser Gardens is a great place to watch an OHL Game. The Knights are usually pretty good team to you'll be in for an entertaining game. The team also has a large following so the place is filled and has a good atmosphere. Going in is pretty easy.. the staff is efficient with covid protocols so the line moves quickly. inside the staff is also fantastic and helpful. Food and beverage is pretty pricey as you would expect in a busy place, other OHL team arenas don't have the same following so they can't overcharge on food but this place can .. they have a neat Jack Daniels bar that is unique and has some cool offerings. The game experience is good with fun entertainment between periods. My biggest complaint with watching the game is that the PA system is terrible and you cannot hear the announcer most of the time as its muffled. But the biggest issue I had is that the popcorn is completely inedible, so if you are reading this... don't but the large popcorn as you will throw your money away. it is so salty that you cannot enjoy it. i'm sure they have received complaints about it but chose to serve it still. Other than that.. its a good experience watching the game. Beyond that.. the streets near the arena are totally sketchy, so don't plan on walking alone.

Exiting was seamless we just joined the crowd and it moved efficiently.
Everyone in the crowd was in a great mood and people were being extremely kind to each other 😊
The reason for the 4 stars is Parking!! 🅿️
Parking can be an issue. We are not local so it was sort of confusing but we ended up parking on the street because it was after 6 pm when we got there… so i believe it was free 😳. But I could be wrong just check the signs!

Although it was nicely managed, the area's lack of space gave the impression that it was overcrowded. Parking the vehicles became very challenging due to the fact that half of the outgoing roadways were under construction. When everyone emerged simultaneously from the graduation ceremony, they were jammed like hell. With this kind of set up, I wonder how they plan to host indoor matches

Love coming to concerts here (live out of town). Far easier to access than Toronto. And there are so many great places to eat in downtown London. BUT the cost to park in downtown London has become worse than Toronto ($29!!!)! Just absurd With as much clout as Budweiser Gardens enjoys, they need to address this! Because now it makes this a less desirable venue. First Ontario in Hamilton has plenty of much more reasonable parking spots nearby.

Nice arena in many ways. Location is excellent; ushers were friendly. Feels small and easily navigable. I was last here in 2019 for the Junos telecast and have very happy memories of that event. However, security was way out of line at this 2023 event. About 2/3 of the way through the show, the band told the audience that we could stand. I don't know if the guard in question didn't hear that or thought it meant we could stand at our seats only and not approach the stage (I was in front row) but he was angry and inappropriate with several fans, yelling and putting his hands on people to try to get them to sit. Eventually another guard came running at him and pushed him the length of the stage, to get him away from the fans. It was uncomfortable and disruptive and I hope this guard was disciplined and all security personnel updated on appropriate actions, so that there is consistency in enforcing rules. I do not live in London but travel around Canada for various events. I would honestly hesitate before returning to Budweiser Gardens.

A smaller Air Canada center, boss has season Knights tickets so I should be there quite a bit. Used to always go to knights games growing up.. so I get flooded with nostalgia going again. They did a good job with this building, I love how they left the old buildings facade, def has a good vibe. Busy during games or concerts but lines move fairly fast

We love it here! Careful entry point... lots of exits.. good wheelchair access, too. Parking can be tricky, so we always try to arrive early and take in a meal at the market before the game. And, Go Lightning Go!! Where else can you get such great entertainment for $25 or so bucks a ticket?!

Saw Godsmack sat few rows back from the pit and the soundsystem from the overhead scoreboard was down and blasted us out of the arena. Staff were amazing and walked us right to our seats.
The Avon Theatre, a well-established performing arts venue within the Stratford Festival, boasts a traditional proscenium stage that hosts various plays, musicals and concerts. Visitors have the opportunity to take a backstage tour and browse through the connected gift shop. Although private boxes are available for those seeking privacy during shows, some views may be obstructed. The theatre showcases exceptional actors and elaborate sets to enhance audience experience, with productions such as An Ideal Husband receiving high praise from patrons.
An excellent theatre with outstanding actors and marvelous sets. The seating is good and you will certainly enjoy your time here. I saw An Ideal Husband, which I would also give a 5/5.

Went to see Chicago with a bunch of community members of the retirement home I work for. Amazing performance! The most entertaining and talented singers and dancers, and incredible staff! Even though we showed up a bit off schedule, the staff—especially the manager—just immediately helped us and got us into our seats in time for the show. So helpful, and had an amazing experience all around. Definitely recommend for anybody and everybody!!

This is a good theatre to catch a play. The seats are quite comfortable and the acoustics are great. The staff are friendly and quite helpful.
We saw Monty Python's Spamalot here and it was a laugh riot!!

Nice theatre with good seats and a good angle so people could see. I did not see any terrible seats. It lets there be a closer experience than one of the big theatres. Just appreciate and enjoy the Stratford shows for what they are.

The Avon Theatre is right in the heart of downtown Stratford, which makes it so easy to visit! It's a beautiful theatre, renovated most recently in the 1990s, but in the traditional theatre style of old. I was there quite a bit this past year because it's where the Rocky Horror Show was playing through the Stratford Festival. IT WAS AWESOME!!

We were very happy with how we were treated. We booked balcony seats and my mom has a walker. There are quite a few steps to get to the balcony and one of the workers stopped us right away and said she would find us seats in the special access area. They did and my mom didn’t have to do any stairs! Everyone there treated my mom like a VIP. We were so impressed! Thank you to everyone who helped!! We had a wonderful time!! We highly recommend the Avon theater to watch a show!!

It's such a great venue for live performances! Saw Spamalot, and our balcony seats afforded a great view of the production. The action was all over the stage, so our unobstructed overview was amazing. Excellent helpful staff and volunteers at the venue.
Thank you!

Gorgeous. Just gorgeous. We had a fantastic night. Spamalot is one of the best shows I've ever seen. I can't wait to go back.

I love the Stratford Festival so much. The Avon is a great theatre. They offer a behind the scenes tour, which I strongly recommend. The gift shop is also connected to the theatre which is a nice way to spend some time before the show starts. I don't recommend sitting in the private boxes. While nice and private you do miss part of the show for things that happen near stage left or right depending on which side of the theatre your box is on.

My first time attending an event here - Hyprov: Improv Under Hypnosis. Fantastic show. Great seat. Colin Mochrie, improvisor extraordinaire, and Asad Mecci, amazing hypnotist gave the audience an unbelievable, mind-blowing, "hotter than a pizza pocket", hilarious show.
Will be back for "Spamalot" in April.

Nice theatre overall, very friendly staff! The seating is very cozy, as in knees against the back of seats if you're tall or a larger person. The ambience is beautiful and you can see the entire stage without obstruction due to how the seats are positioned. The gift shop had some great finds as well.
Christina Pigeau — Google review
The theater is beautiful and staff are very friendly and helpful. But oh my God those seats we had were miserable! I'm 6ft tall and my knees were pulling up to my chest. I was so sore when the play was done. I know there are probably roomier seats but I'm sure that comes with a price. Gotta make ALL the seats comfortable gang.

Great way to spend an afternoon at the Avon Theatre in Stratford. Spamalot was a great production with humor, skilled dancing, and stunning vocals. Beautiful theatre - and as they recommend a wee sweater is in order. A bit cool in the theatre. Paid parking on the street ($1.50 an hour); free parking at the Cooper's Lot just 2 blocks away from the Theatre

Spamalot was crazy good. The actors hit every line. Did not expect to laugh that hard since I've seen the Holy Grail countless times. The dancing was incredible. The singing was on another level. Loved every second of it. Oh and the women... All of them absolutely gorgeous 😍

Beautiful theatre. I’m a tall guy, so the balcony seats are too tight for me, but the orchestra seats are comfortable and provide plenty of leg room.

Incredible theater. Very helpful staff made finding seats extra easy, and good flow for quick exiting after the show. Sound system was good, but occasionally the music overpowered the singers voices. Nice location with plenty of interesting businesses around to visit after the show. But parking can be challenging to find. Did not get anything from the refreshments or visit the amenities.
Contemporary venue at the Stratford Festival with an intimate seating area around a thrust stage.
Gorgeous new theatre! The setting is stunning, on the river. The stage is intimate; not a bad seat. The food and beverage bar is spacious, also saw that pre-ordered refreshments were set up as soon as intermission began. I'll remember that for my next play. So happy that the Stratford Festival is back!
Colleen Murray — Google review
Gorgeous theatre. Set in a beautiful locale at the side of the river with swans, herons, and rowing teams on it. The theatre is all gleaming glass and bronze-coloured metalwork and is stunning. There is a large paid parking area and on-street parking available. Inside there is loads of space for the cafe, gift shop, and many seating areas (standing tables, seated tables, and soft settee areas), and includes an outdoor patio accessible from the cafe area. The bathrooms are large, accessible, and very clean and well-stocked with paper and free sanitary items. The theatre area is staffed by very helpful, friendly, and well-informed personnel. The theatre is such that there really is no such thing as a bad seat. There is a stage that projects out into the room which is surrounded on three sides by banked seating. The stairs are steep and have handrails on both sides, but, for those needing help with using stairs, the staff are quick to offer either a helping hand or access to an elevator that goes to the stage floor level.

An amazing experience in a beautiful, light filled and airy theatre. The common spaces never felt crowded. You can see the river from wherever you are in the lobby. There were an ample number of washrooms and no queues.
The theatre space is lovely and seats were velvety and comfortable.
Be sure you enjoy the outdoor patio and the adjacent garden.

First, try the cafe for dining. My sister and I were delighted to have a riverside view, incredible food - so much better than expected. the cafe is open 2 hours before each performance. and the theatre is so well designed, from every seat is an incredible viewing experience.

We were here to watch a play during Stratford festival. Unlike the traditional stage to one side and audience seated to the other, this theatre has stage to the centre and audience seating around. This gives a different experience watching play and makes us appreciate the performers for their effort in capturing every corner’s attention

Exquisitely redesigned theatre and the gardens will certainly fill out as time passes. Loved the outdoor spaces and the beautiful textures of golden steel outside - and cream brick and marble inside. I wish the theatre seats were more comfortable but the thrust stage is intimate and powerful.

The theatre has ample parking and is well located in town with a nice lobby, good range of snacks/drinks and lots of seating for pre-show and intermission, but we felt that it fell short in two areas. The theatre seats were very uncomfortable...firm bottom and back to the seats, very flat and a bit short on the seat back. As a 6'2" guy, my back was aching by the end of the show. The other was acoustics. I have been going to Stratford for years and found the actor's speech very muffled. They were seasoned actors so I doubt it was a projection issue, but other theatres by design tend to acoustically amplify the speech...everything just sounded dull and muffled to our whole group...made it that much harder to follow the story/plot.
Russ Mair — Google review
Inside the building on a bright sunny day is enchanting. The lobby is large and U shaped giving the audience space. The cafe and dining area on the river side of the building could be from a fairy castle the transition from outside to inside feels so fluid. Stairs come in at the top - if you have trouble stepping down you will want the back row. The stage is in the same shape as the old building - thrust. Seats are much larger, velvet and firm. Bathrooms have a large number of stalls. There are bars on both sides of the lobby but the river side is also setup as a cafe.

It was my first time at the New Tom Patterson Theatre in Stratford. Saw the play Wedding Band. Fabulous, fabulous performance. I sure hope have an opportunity to see another play there again soon. The way the seating in house has been configured, you can see everything clear and without obstruction from the person in front of you. Cleverly designed! The thing that was different in this theatre was you could take your drinks in with you. Not sure if I like that as the potential of being spilled on could happen. But maybe not??
Darlene C — Google review
Oh...my...goodness--what an extraordinary metamorphosis! The new theatre retains the intimacy of old, so valued by those of us addicted to Shakespearan performances. Yet the new facility is expansive, connected to the physical location along the river, and world class in its physical beauty. The sound is extraordinary, the experience reclusive. Hariri could not have done better in a single detail...an extraordinary architectural execution to a difficult transitional objective. Perfect! Bravo! Thank you!

In sept 2020 we spent about 5 nights in the wilderness suite. It was a wonderful experience and had the best time relaxing with nature. Many of the activities/breakfast was close due to COVID but the area is beautiful so spent a lot of time chilling by the fire and hiking. Our suite was truely one of a kind... the outdoor shower was amazing and so fun to take showers outside. We went on a half day kayak tour and saw some wildlife. Would def go back.

Excellent experience, the employees make this place. Always going above and beyond for you, I was more than thrilled.
Nice yurts with modern amenities, wonderful water pressure on the showers. So many things on site, a local brewery a restaurant, zip lines and an observatory. There's an excellent winery within a five minute walk. Nice walking trails and if you mountain bike you should definitely stay here.
Ultimately I cannot say enough good things about the staff though easily the best part.
We will be back.

Love this place!! The location is perfect, to explore the surrounding villages, towns, wineries and parks.
Read the recommendations, and brought warm clothes and extra blankets, even though they provide a heating blanket under the sheets (it was the last weekend in October). The beds are very comfortable.
The staff are Incredible and very accommodating!! They replaced the wet wood with dry ones almost immediately. We loved hanging out by the fire. The fire pit was why we booked here instead of a hotel.
Loved the convenience of being able to dine at the patio restaurant on site. The food was very DELISH!!
We will definitely be back!! Thank you for a great weekend getaway!!

Amazing romantic getaway.
We booked Wine and Romance Package under the stars along with zip line tour. The package included one night stay at King Wilderness Suite, Wine tasting tour at The Burning Kiln and dinner at Normandale Century Inn and observatory star gazing.
Wilderness suite was awesome. Bed was comfortable with electric blanket. It had Private flush toilet and outdoor shower. Soap, shampoo were included. However water was so cold we could not get hot water in our tent.
Night campfire was lovely. Due to cloudy weather the star gazing was cancelled.
Zip-lining was great and guides were helpful and knowledgable.
Wine tasting was wonderful.
Loved the dinner at Normandale Century Inn
Overall it was good experience. Everything was well organized. Just felt that it was expensive.

A wonderful time, we booked our stay later in the year (mid October) and the tree colours were just amazing. It did get pretty chilly at night, but the room was equipped with a space heater that kept it nice a warm. We booked a bike tour and a mushroom foraging class and the instructors were easy to talk to, very educated in their field, and I walked away learning more than I thought I would. I will definitely be booking more classes and adventures in the future.

We had our Wedding reception dinner at Long Point Eco resort and it was GREAT! Maybe it is not your first thought that it would be a venue for such an event, but let me tell you it was perfect and so enjoyable !
We got several compliments on our venue choice for being unique and cute!! We also stayed there in an elite pod which was so fun and easy. We had some guests coming from Washington State stay at the eco resort as well and talked about how cool of a place it was and enjoyable. So if you also have an event with people traveling from out of town this is a bonus that long point eco reserve offers accomodations and activities for them to enjoy if they want to!
I loved the Forest Pavilon, they opened up the sides and it was a great blend of indoor outdoor space with a wonderful breeze on the perfect day.
The food was also delicious and we got several compliments on it. They also provided a delicious and beautifully plated vegetarian dinner option for the guests that requested it.
Everyone we worked with was a pleasure, so accomodating, responsive, helpful and kind. There was no nickel and diming us for little things that other venues will do since weddings come with a cost premium. They let us bring our own seltzers and cake and even provided plates and utencils for our deserts we brought for no extra charge or stress!!

The location to the Burning Kiln, the staff, and the grounds were all incredible. We stayed in a king Safari tent and it was great for the price. The shower is very rustic but nice to have attached to the tent. What surprised me most is how close the fire pits are to one another. I would consider coming back if attending another concert across the road at Burning Kiln.
I imagine this place would be incredible in the fall!

I can definitely say this is one of the best adventures we did. From the accommodation, the food and the activities they have-you will always want to go back. We celebrated our anniversary here and we couldn’t have been happier. Hubby even said we should’ve booked more nights so we can explore more of what they offer. We booked one of the elite pods and it is soooo amazing. It’s like living in a modern hobbit house-a small house with complete amenities, yes it has a complete bathroom so you don’t have have to use the outside showers😅.
The food was amazing, it’s just a little too salty for us. They are also under staffed so there’s a little bit of a wait but we didn’t mind it because we were enjoying the wine and the beer they brought out for us to taste.
We were supposed to do the observatory experience but it was canceled due to the lightning. We were okay with it though because we were enjoying a camp fire infront of our pod while looking at the stars.
There are several hiking/biking trails in the area as well and it ranges from easy to difficult. We opted for the moderate trails and we enjoyed it so much, well except for the snakes we saw on the way but they already warned everyone about these creatures.
We also did the axe throwing and we had a blast. Our guide is really helpful in explaining the how to’s of the activity.
Overall, it was one of our best glamping experiences. We will definitely be back and will bring the kids next time.

Stayed here for a work retreat in August and was impressed with the experience overall. Pods were a unique accommodation (though a bit hot when you first arrive - no windows were open) and the clusters allowed our group to hang out and use the bonfire. The showers were clean and I didn't get a chance to use the hot water as there was a power outage at the time no water heater), but everything seemed to work just fine.
Meeting space was adequate and accessed via 2 flights of stairs, and meals/snacks were done quite well both for the meeting and for dining in the restaurant. The food was particularly delicious, generously sized and fresh, which surprised me and my team in a good way.
Our team also did ziplining and the observatory tour - both were fun, but the observatory tour was particularly special and Tab (Tabitha?) as our host was terrific - she's a great storyteller and kept us captivated! The fancy telescope and seeing some cool objects through it was also quite special - not something you can do every day normally.
Trails were also fun to explore and definitely helps to have a trail map from the front desk. I only wish there was water accessible for a swim onsite, but the beach is a 10 minute drive away.
To bring: Flashlight and soap/shampoo, bug spray.
My main feedback is that the check-in process was a bit uncoordinated and I worry too casual since names/details were not checked or confirmed. I also didn't have hot water in my pod, but otherwise no complaints,. Would visit again!

A to Z (Allison and Zack) were fantastic guides for the zip lining. And I’m not saying that just because they refuse to unclip me from the line till I finish this.

Beautiful location! Greeted by friendly and helpful staff right away. Our suite was lovely, perfect for someone (like me) who appreciates and enjoys nature but desperately loves sleeping in a bed.
Our suite had its own little deck with table and chairs with a nice private fire pit for the evening. Firewood was provided which is excellent for a not so outdoorsy person such as myself.
The view from the restaurant was gorgeous, so peaceful and relaxing. Staff were helpful, polite and friendly, adding to the entire experience. Many activities available on site, from walking paths to zip lining and an observatory.
I will 1000% be headed back, it was a perfect little getaway that I wish I had booked for more then 1 night !
Highly recommend checking this place out

I experienced Long point for my first time this past weekend and I must say I was well beyond surprised at how incredible this place is. The amenities were well maintained, the beds were comfy, and pods were very clean. With spectacular views of the marsh, beautiful hiking trails, and fun activities, I would 100% recommend visiting at least once. I would say that there is need for improvement with the restaurants menu as I was a little disappointed with the quality of food for the price. I would love to see a more crafted seasonal menu or at least a more revamped menu. I felt it was quite lacking. Overall though the service was impeccable and the view was breathtaking. I would love to see them other movies after dark in their main field. I think a fun free double feature would be great for family’s, especially as they offer popcorn as a snack already. I think they would really do well with show casing a family friendly movie and than a more adult friendly movie like you see at drive-in’s. I would also love to see more games throughout the property that could potentially get campers more involved with one another. Something a long the lines of a summer camp style as I felt like I was at adult summer camp and I just think it would be a great way for people to interact and make new memories and friendships. Overall though my stay here was absolutely great. The staff were friendly and helpful, and supplying the firewood for free is a great feature. I will gladly be back again :)

My sister and I recently stayed at LPEA and had such a great experience! The activities were fun and everything was made even better by the great staff - they were fabulous. We started with axe-throwing which was a whole lot of fun. Our guide was Nate and he gave great tips to help. The next day we did the kayaking tour with Leanne and Mike who were outstanding. In the evening we did the observatory with Tab who was so knowledgeable, seeing Saturn was a huge bonus. We did Zip Lining with Allison and Jayden who were hugely entertaining. The Hamilton Family Theatre Cambridge is a contemporary venue that accommodates up to 500 people. It features state-of-the-art facilities and offers a variety of live performances, including musicals, plays, and live bands. The sound quality is exceptional, with live musicians and vocalists executing professional acts on stage. Additionally, the theater offers snacks and drinks during intermission which you can bring back to your seat for added convenience.
A lovely theatre. Easy to get there by car and lots of parking. Comfy seats and friendly staff. This was my first visit to the HFT. My children and I saw the Sound of Music which is a family favourite of ours. Great performances by all, especially Maria, the Captain and children. The group singing of the actresses playing nuns was especially moving as they sang so well together. The performance of Climb Every Mountain by the actress who played the Reverend Mother was especially wonderful. When she hit the high note at the end I got teary eyed. Intermission was a bit rushed due to washroom lineup. Lineup for refreshments was also long though we didn't partake. All seats in the theatre seem to have a good view of the stage. Theatre was clean. Staff were pleasant. Will definitely come again.

The show itself was excellent (kinky boots). The theater however was ice cold and you could feel A/C blowing on you. People had jackets on, many just froze. The rows of seating were so close together that average sized people could not get by each other. I'm 5'2 and had JUST enough room for my knees. They need to have ropes to organize the concession stand lines. There was a large line that divided the room in half, blocking access to the bathrooms for those on the opposite side.
Production was great.

Beautiful facility but freezing cold in the middle of winter (December 10 2023) Even the two larger woman and man I was with were cold. As 90 percent of the audience looked to be over the age of 75 I don’t know if they did this to keep
Them awake but this is also the age group that needs to stay warm in addition to smaller people like myself who are also anemic and suffer from circulation issues. Thankfully I carry heat packs with me.

The theatre itself is a center for this community. It is well maintained and clean. We saw a "modernized" version of Jersey Boys. Although the music and story stay true to the Era, I was put off by some of the 'modern street language' used in the dialog. Maybe I am getting older, but looking around the audience, there was 90% grey, silver, and white hair.
I do not understand why the language has been changed the way it has.

Saw Fiddler on the Roof. The show was great. Dancers were right on point and the singing was freaking awsome. The seats are dairly comfortable and the volunteer staff treat you like family. Parking is a bit tight do get there early and even walk for a couple of minutes to the theater.

This was our first experience at this theatre, and I can say that we highly recommend it! The theatre is beautiful, and the seats are very comfortable. My husband is 6 foot 8, and he was comfortable leg room wise! We watched the show Kinky Boots, and we were blown away! The set was fantastic, the band was great, and the company was so very talented! Thanks for helping us sing our way through an awesome date night- we will absolutely be back! A high quality production all around.

The Cambridge Butterfly Conservatory is a tropical garden that houses approximately 2,000 butterflies and exotic birds. Visitors can explore the insect area and receive informative guidance from staff members like Avery. The butterfly area itself is stunning, but visitors should note that it's quite hot for the butterflies, so they should follow any instructions given by staff about coat storage. Inside the conservatory, there's an affordable café with limited vegetarian options.
Came here with my wife and 5 year old. We absolutely loved it. The insect area is very underrated with great information from the nice lady in there, Avery.
The butterfly area itself was beautiful. Also, keep in mind it's very warm for the butterflies so when the lady says the coat room is down the hall, it's a good idea to listen and do that.
There's also a cafe inside which is surprisingly very affordable, however, if you don't eat animals, not many choices.
I'd allow about an hour to see everything in here. We budgeted a bit more time but that wasn't necessary. Unless you plan on eating there.
It was very cool though, a definite stop on the way to Toronto or anywhere in that area.
5/5.

Butterfly conservation park in Cambridge is an escape to tropical environment. They have a variety of botanical specimens which grow in Asia and South America. They have a huge collection of butterflies which are incubated and maintained in a perfect setting. There is a man-made waterfall with fishes and turtles. The staff walks around with caterpillars and rare species explaining it to visitors. The kids had a blast with butterflies landing on them and playing with them. There is an exhibition outside the controlled environment. It showcases spiders, scorpions, poisonous frogs, beetles and worms. The cafeteria at the side has a patio and has basic sandwiches, hot and cold beverages. They have enough parking space. Tickets are 20$ for 13-65 yrs, free for <2 yrs, 15$ for seniors. Overall 4.8/5. It is a great place for Wedding or event photography.

Another amazing attraction in the region of Waterloo. The kids will love it there. This place is magical with beautiful butterflies and birds who happen to be friendly and might sit on you to catch their breath. The staff is very knowledgeable and you will learn so much about these beautiful creatures and more. How can we not talk about Instagram worthiness. You are going to get amazing pics for the gram if you know your angles.

Loved the initiative taken here. I loved all the blue butterflies and the way these butterflies are left soo free. It's a good place to visit even if you are an adult like me. I saw kids enjoying the large variety of butterflies and insects and I was mesmerized how they could recognize the insects.

This place is smaller than the Niagara one. The staff was super friendly and polite, with a wedding going on the cafe was closed but the staff will still get you some things like drinks and snacks. The gift shop ladies were awesome. Thank you to the two ladies in the gift shop, I really needed that water after how hot it was inside with the butterflies Birds and insects.
My Date and I came here for our second date. this was a great idea, we had fun and took a lot of pictures. I'll upload them for the public to view.
although hot, the butterflies were still landing on us and showing us some love, it was an enjoyable experience. I would recommend everyone to come here. butterflies are very transformational beings, when they land on you they are letting you know change is coming for you. the kind of change for some that changes their lives forever. In shamanic traditions butterflies tell us change is around the corner. be prepared and allow these changes to open us up to the new and sometimes challenging experiences.
Visit this place! it's worth it.

Felt like being in a Disney movie. My husband and I enjoyed the conservatory. Lots of butterflies everywhere you look. The hatching section was quite interesting. Saturday was busy. Buy tickets ahead time. The conservatory is warm and humid. There are places to sit and a play area outside for kids. Butterflies appeared to land on people in greens and browns, perhaps thinking they were plants.

Great place to bring the family. Wear something bright to attract the butterflies on you! Kids will love this place!! Cool displays of bugs and a small gift shop. Not sure if the cafe is open yet, but the family had lots of fun! Roughly takes about an hour to go through the whole place.

Lovely place to spend a relaxed couple of hours. It has some great “walls” for photographs . Just to walk around and be surrounded by flashes of brilliant jewel colours is like a painting come alive.
The rooms with the glass cases have all sorts of creepy crawlies and very much alive! Endless variety of mounted butterflies and a wealth of information.
It was our first time here and we had a wonderful time and a very enjoyable afternoon.
There was a wedding event taking place that day so the Cafe was booked, and we didn’t get to try anything there. There is also the customary gift shop .
Definitely worth it.

A beautiful place 🦋 A great selection of birds, butterflies and other creatures! There's a free-fly room where you can watch the butterflies and birds fly around! During hatching season you can watch butterflies emerge from there cocoons. There are also other rooms with with terrariums with frogs, beetles, scorpions, and tarantulas! 🐸🪲🦂 A great place for a date day!

This is one of my favorite places, and I would highly recommend stopping by and having a ton of fun. My wife and I stop here every time we come this way, and we always leave happy. I thought I was afraid of some of the insets 🐛 they have there, but the girl that was bringing them around to people was awesome, so we tried it out. We loved it! Give it a try 💯.

First visited ten years ago and have been waiting to visit again. It is truly a magical feeling. The butterflies are in good condition. The staff were so warm and polite. The conservatory where the butterflies are is quite humid and hot (especially after a hour). Best to dress in layers. Also noticed some butterflies rest on the ground, so I was careful
not to step on them. The cafe there was the perfect spot to rest and chat before going back in to check out the butterflies and birds again!

I had a beautiful visit with my Grandmother. She and I were both delighted to learn about different insects, spiders and more. The atmosphere was so serene and tranquil. They have many different plant types which are very cool to look at on their own. It was one of the most breathtaking experiences that I've had.
If you are looking to be filled with unmistakable, unquestionable happiness, this is the place to come. Sitting down on a bench with a loved one and watching hundreds of butterflies effortlessly glide through the air is an experience that I will treasure forever.

If you want to experience a tropical forest filled with butterflies 🦋 just go there . Plenty of them🦋 🦋. Watch your every step when you are walking,or else you are gonna hurt them . The waterfall ,even though it's a small one ,the mind cleansing vocal of flowing water gets you somewhere else .
Highly recommended to visit there especially for kids .
🦋Better to take tickets 🎫 online, usually with time slot.since there is no guarantee of offline tickets.
Note for South Indians: if you miss the home ambiance, just go there . You can see your garden and neighborhood plants there .

It's a very nice place to spend a couple of hours of quality time with family and friends. The facility has two sections. One section has few exhibits in the glass enclosures and another section has a tropical garden with all the live butterflies flying around. It also has a few very cool birds. Overall it was a very good experience.

This is a must see attraction if you are in the area. The butterflies fly around so freely and their enclosure is well-maintained. There are several things to see before you enter the butterfly area, such as looking at real life blue lobsters or tarantulas. You can also learn about the different types of moths and butterflies. Really cool place!

A beautiful experience for the family, or for a date. You walk into the conservation area, and you are immediately welcomed by butterflies. Tons of different kinds, if you are lucky, they will land on you. They have little birds as well as turtles you can see. It was an unexpected but amazing find.

An Absolutely fabulous way to spend a day! We got tickets for our family as part of a Christmas present and spent the afternoon at the conservatory. Buying the tickets in advance online was a breeze and the admission process was very quick and easy. Walking through the main part of the conservatory is breath taking the different flowers and butterflies make for a very colourful walk through their man-made forest. We went with our 2 year old and he was fascinated by the different butterflies. When we was getting bored of the butterflies there is a lovely jungle-gym and play area behind the cafe which we used to full effect! I would absolutely recommend taking the whole family to this wonderful attraction!

We visited the Butterfly Conservatory on a Saturday afternoon and had a great time. We did book tickets in advance to ensure we could get our time slot but we were a bit early which wasn’t a problem. There is ample parking adjacent to the building including plenty of handicapped parking spots. Not only does the butterfly conservatory offer a chance to see some beautiful butterflies, it also features many different plants, insects and frogs.
The staff were knowledgeable and friendly, and even provided us the opportunity to hold a millipede and a female Jungle Nymph. This was an educational experience that would be great for the whole family. I highly recommend checking it out.

It is always fun to go to the butterfly conservatory! It is very humid so dress accordingly. We went on a nice sunny day and the butterflies were very active. There were a lot of people and it felt quite crowded, but that's to be expected on a nice weekend day. I would still recommend going! Everyone is so professional and kind and it is a great experience for all ages.

It was a very relaxing afternoon in a tropical atmosphere. The blue morpho butterflies flitted all over the place, landing on our heads and shoulders. It's not only butterflies here, though. We saw some small birds, ants, a parakeet or something in the parrot family, goldfish, and two turtles.
It wasn't too full of people. We were there right over the lunch hour. Everyone was so calm it was okay to see them enjoying this bit of paradise. If you have time, a must see is the hatching. If you're patient you might see a butterfly ease out of its cage and stretch out its wings to dry.
I was pleased to have a butterfly land on my finger and rest there for a while. They are such dainty creatures with funny feeling feet. Truly a miracle not made by man!

I recently visited the Cambridge Butterfly Conservatory with my family and friends , and it was a nice experience. The cost was okay, and you can easily spend 2 to 3 hours there. I recommend going with a group for more fun, especially if you have kids—they'll enjoy it. Inside, it's warm, and they've created a kind of artificial tropical weather with many exotic plants from India. There are lots of different butterflies flying around, and they might even land on you if you wear bright colors. Besides butterflies, you can also see other insects in exhibition rooms. There's plenty of parking available too. I highly recommend this place, especially during winter; it's one of the rare places where you can see trees and butterflies during the colder months. Kids playing area is not open during winter.

Such a fun experience! My kids are 8&7 and they absolutely loved it. The butterfly's are just free flying around the whole room. We were a little scared we would step on a butterfly at times because there were so many and a lot of people walking inside where the butterflys were housed. This was a unique experience and I highly recommend for children and adults

Enchanting place to spend a day at, for both children and adults 🦋
You can spend around 2.5 hours visiting the butterfly conservatory, the insect museums and live bugs.
It is best to buy tickets in advance on the website.
It is very warm inside the conservatory (24°C to 28°C) so it is recommended to dress in layers and wear light clothing as they also have a coat/jacket room to store your winter clothing.
The café area is spacious and the gift shop is pretty cool also.

Fantastic little getaway immersed with nature and beautiful creatures no matter what time of year! Slightly pricey but I feel it is worth it especially if you truly appreciate what a marvel nature is. I encourage everyone to take the time to learn about a butterfly's life cycle, have a seat and make a checklist of all the different varieties you see and ALWAYS share your experience!!! Get as many people on the butterfly train as we can! Please be mindful where you walk while in the sanctuary as many butterflies take their rest times on the ground
Elora Gorge Conservation Area is an ideal place for nature enthusiasts looking for a weekend trip. This beautiful conservation area features a deep ravine with thrilling rapids perfect for tubing or kayaking. Visitors can also enjoy scenic hikes, camping and zip-lining activities. The park has eight campgrounds with both hydro and non-hydro sites available, providing options for different preferences.
Awesome camping experience at Elora Gorge Conservation Area! Tubing in the park was so much fun. All booking was done online and made the process much smoother. Very kind and welcoming park staff. Amazing views of the Gorge and stars at night.

Elora conservation park has beautiful trails that takes you from the hill top to the waterbody below. As for difficulty, it is a fairly easy hike suitable both for adults and kids. There are a few look out spots as we descend down. Once you climb down the stairs to the lake you’ll see tubers moving along the gushing waters. I would recommend visiting the park during fall for the beautiful colours. There are many parking spots and picnic benches to have a snack after the long walk. The trails can go upto 7km but can be completed in 3-4 hours.

Fun day, would suggest bringing your own tube and helmet to make it much cheaper. The water is not very fast so it is suitable for young children, as long as you keep an eye on them. It only jays about an hour maybe less but you can do it multiple times if you’re willing to do the walk back to the beginning

I visited Elora Gorge (not in the Conservation Park) it was closed. I went close to the Mill and walked around the gorge along the black fenced area in the woods. It was beautiful, kind of like Niagara Gorge. The quaint town was also sweet, I was with a friend and we loved it! Nice for a hike. There a few restaurants and cafes around the town as well. On a sunny day it would be perfect!

There are three trails that you can go. They are not tough so can go with kids as well but not with stroller and all. You can enjoy tubing but tickets should be purchased in advance. There are multiple parking lots.
You can enjoy a day out with your family but carry your own food and water as there no foods stalls inside that.
I didn’t find Look out points much attractive, I think tubing would be fun and that is on my bucket list, will definitely try next time.

Great experience tubing on the river the other day. Super easy to reserve online in advance. We went a couple of years ago and while the rental life jackets still smell like gross old towels, they definitely did some major upgrades to the tubes they loan out. These ones were far superior, easier to carry and more comfortable with the back rest. Really fun way to spend a day.

Park entry fee: $8.00/person
Cars were parked on the grass or anywhere they found the space.
Tubing: registration $20/person
Plan ahead, the line was long. If you rented the equipment elsewhere, you don’t have to wait in line but there’s no signs up indicating which wasted a lot of time.
Once you get the band, follow the yellow steps to the launching area. The hike is steep and long.
Once you get into the water, you are on your own, there aren’t life guards. The water flow was steady but other areas, fast. There is a area in between you can stop and dive off into the water. It’s not easy to navigate the where to go unless you paddle in some way(used my water shoes)
It’s beautiful along the way, the scenery is beautiful, you will pass a waterfall!
When you get to the end, it’s best to step off as it was harder when when you reach the chain.
Now the walk back to return equipment (if rented on site) and to the parking is also long but through the trail so just follow the signs.
Along the way, I saw many camp sites.
Tips,
Bring water shoes, rocks
Bring water proof case for car keys/phones. I guarantee if not secured, you will lose it.
Bring ropes if you want to stay linked to your friends
Wear sun screen
Wear life jacket
Wear helmet

My family and I came here for three nights. We were in the RV section of the park. It looks like it might have been an afterthought. It’s very far from the rest of the park. It even has its own entrance. Make sure to go to the right entrance to check in. The sites are amazing. They’re big, clean, and it give a good wilderness feel. Bring a bike if you come. We didn’t bring one, and we ended up doing long hikes to get anywhere which wasn’t ideal for our young kids. There is no park at the RV section, so not a lot to do for kids. On the opposite side of the park there is a small splash pad, and some swimming in the river down by the tubing dock. Tons of hiking trails. The camping itself was very reasonably priced.
We went tubing which was extremely overpriced. We went with an outside company for tubes and gear. It seemed to be more reasonably priced. What we didn’t know was we had to pay the park a fee on top of it. It ended up costing us $225 for the four of us to tube. It’s roughly an hour tube ride, and half hour walk back. My youngest daughter was so small we had to carry her tube back. We only got to go down two times because it was too much walking for the kids. Second time both my kids flipped off of their tube in some rapids and got scraped legs. It didn’t stop them though. They still had fun. We’d love to do it again.
Overall we had an amazing trip. We were happy with the campground and can’t wait to come back :).

There is not much to see, but it’s an adequate park for being in the middle of a town. The trails are short, simple, and narrow, and the trees mostly block your view of the gorge. You have to go across to the overhang at Victoria Park (Lover’s Leap) to get a better view of the gorge.
There are camp sites, tables, and washrooms, but since the park is closed for the season, they’re in an abandoned and overrun state.

Absolutely loved it !! Nice campground and sites. It has small ground and picnic areas inside. Tubing was an amazing experience. One suggestion- There should be note in the shower areas that you need to put 25cents for showers.

The park is beautiful. My main issue is how policed it is. You feel like you're always being watched. This is likely due to the complete alcohol and cannabis ban. Also, they don't consistently provide toilet paper, so come prepared. You will need to come with quarters as well, cause the showers aren't free.

The Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum is a museum that features dozens of Canadian military planes, as well as aviation exhibits and flight simulators.
Such a nice place to go with kids for fun and was very knowledgeable as well. It was very exciting to see war planes and how they work. Kids can actually sit in fighter plane cockpit and learn some features of plane ✈️ . Even for adults it’s very good and unique place to visit. Felt really proud of our soldiers. They also have cafe and gift shop . Gift shop seems expensive but they do have few unique items to buy. You need maybe 2-3 hours to see this place. Overall wonderful place to visit.

It's worthwhile to visit this place. You can spend 2-3 hours here depending on how interested you are in aircraft and Canadian aeronautics history. Kids can also have some fun as they get to sit in the cockpit of real fighter planes and if you are 12 and above they have a flight simulator as well.

The volunteer guides are also great and provide you with a great deal of knowledge and expertise. The older gentleman, Mr. Alex, in particular was great and really enthusiastic to share his knowledge of the place and the history attached to it. They even let you sit on some of the planes and when the weather is good, you can fly in them.

We went with a group of 30 seniors. We had called ahead, so we had 3 tour guides. Wonderful tour guides, highly recommended to add to your experience of the museum. We have seen the Lancaster bombers fly overhead, now we were able to see how massive they are! Take your kids and grandkids to learn about the sacrifice many young men made for our freedoms. We were gratified to see a display about Operation Manna where food was dropped into the Netherlands after the hunger winter of 1944.
Thank you to your amazing volunteers!

I was stunned to see the actual warplanes in the museum. We were team of 10. Special thanks to our genius tour guide "NIKITA". He was awesome throughout the visit. He explained everything very well and even answered our questions. During our visit, he never seemed to be tired and was very eager to show us everything about almost all the war planes. If I were the owner, I would have given him raise. Keep on saying same things is sometimes annoying, but it seemed that he was enjoying his job and guided us the way like a professor. I really appreciate him and whole team of the museum.

The staff is VERY knowledgeble and also very friendly. You can book flights on some of the historic planes, but we chose not to. Also on dry days there are some other planes outside the building, we missed out as we were visiting during a downpour.

Excellent! We were met at the entrance by Mr. Tony Houghton, a volunteer at the Museum who guided us around the Museum for a couple of hours. He was extremely professional, knowledgeable and helpful. The boys, aged 4 and 8, enjoyed his attention to take them on a private tour of numerous planes where they could sit in the cockpits; and, he provided them with interesting and fun facts about the planes. We also enjoyed our lunch at the Museum’s Runway Cafe. The Museum is well-kept, the volunteer staff is courteous and the historic planes a must-see! We recommend this as a great place to bring kids of all ages, especially on a rainy day.

It's quite fun for everyone. Kids really enjoyed it, and so did I, but kids need more interactive stuff for kids to do and be more interested and aware of the history of these beautiful planes and the magnificent people and what this country has done for the people. also more information about all the planes, like guides telling people about what aircraft they are admiring and information about it. I found that alot of staff were just standing around or sitting around talking to each other and not actually doing anything like answering questions.

The Canadian Warplanes Heritage museum is a fantastic place to go to. Seeing these vintage aircraft on display is amazing. The hangar is full of Canadian military aviation history that everyone should go and see. The staff and volunteers are so friendly and have lots of stories about the history of these aircraft. The hangar is very clean and you can even go for a ride in one of their vintage aircraft.
You can jump into the pilot seat of some display aircraft, look at the avionics instruments, learn about aircraft technology, like engines/ ejection seats/ armament, and see how museum staff and volunteers are restoring these vintage aircraft back into an airworthy condition.
You may like seeing the beautiful art pinups girls or wacky characters that was painted on the aircraft's nose to boost morale of airmen and airwomen who served in Canada's armed forces.
I loved going here and you will too. If you like my reviews, videos or photos let your thumb soar high in the sky.

Our kid would love to provide his review on his amazing experience on Saturday , Feb 17 ( over the Family Day Weekend ) at the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum .
I visited Canadian Warplane Heritage museum during the Family Day weekend in 2024. The place was busy and lots of families were visiting. They had lots of things to do and a ton of planes . The gift shop was near the entrance and was very big . There was quite a few build up airplane models to choose from . I picked an F-119 model. There was an astronaut session followed by autograph line up .
The various country flags displayed at this centre denoted the countries participated in receiving training in flying.
I came across a model of a plane showcasing how and where it carry’s its missiles on the plane. Also, I got a chance to hop onto a passenger plane which on warmer weathers takes flight. I saw the cockpit . It had loads of navigation related set ups . This plane takes a round of Niagara Falls at 35,000 ft height .
There was also a giant inflatable planetarium . It took me on a ride to the moon also explains how the craters are formed and every few million years lava arises from inside of the moon .
Overall the experience was really good . The only issue was parking was full and we parked in the over flow parking area.
The staff were very nice and explained how the planes worked . Kuddos to the team for organizing such an exciting experience .
If you are 12 years and above you could also take part - Flyzone at Canadian Warplane Heritage museum . I look forward to this next year as well !!

I visited this museum with my 20 month old who's into planes. He loved watching them.
And I personally loved learning a lot about Canadian planes. It's a fascinating place with friendly staff.

I recently visited the Canadian Heritage Warplane Museum, and it was an experience I won't soon forget. From the moment we stepped through the doors, we were immersed in the rich history of Canada's aviation contributions during WWII. The highlight of the visit was definitely having a tour guide. Their passionate storytelling brought the planes to life and moved us emotionally with tales of bravery and sacrifice. Learning about the restoration efforts behind each plane added another layer of appreciation for the museum's dedication to preserving history. Without a doubt, this museum is a must-see for anyone interested in aviation or WWII history. Highly recommended!

It's always fun visiting the Warplane Heritage Museum on a rainy day. They have loads of aircraft used by the Canadian military from World War II and later. If you're lucky, you can see the engineers working on the aircraft, you can walk around the hangar, step aboard a few of the planes, and in the spring to autumn months even pay for a flight on one of the classic aircraft. They have a cafe onsite if you're hungry, and also flight simulators if you are interested. Great for young children.

My scout group spent the night during the museum’s Night-Op event and had a blast. Well restored and maintained war planes; knowledgeable and passionate volunteers and staff made the visit fun and educational. Plenty of free parking.

Such a fun and informative museum. This Museum featuring dozens of Canadian military planes, plus aviation exhibits & flight simulators.
The planes are beautifully restored. The exhibits are excellent, so much history, and so many great personal stories. A good experience for any age. Every single person that works there, interacted with nothing with positivity and love and care about the place and also educated.

Highly recommend visiting. Seeing the planes up close is a great experience. Plus, the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable.
The 232-hectare Crawford Lake Conservation Area is an Iroquoian heritage site with a visitors' centre, canyon lookout, and 19 km of trails. The nature preserve is a great place to explore the outdoors on foot in winter or spring, when the small buds on the trails are poking through the snow. In addition to hiking and snowshoeing, there are opportunities for bird watching, skiing (beginners welcome), fishing, and ice skating.
This is a great all season Conservation Area to visit. I bring a camp of kids here several times a year and the kids always have a good time.
There's a lovely path that leads down and all the way around Crawford Lake. Most of the path is wooden boardwalk so it's a nice, easy trek. There is a trail that branches off and leads all the way to Rattlesnake Point! (If you're feeling a long adventure)
The Native Village is always a great spot to visit as well. Great for learning about some of the history of the land and it's Native people. There are three Longhouses, each very different. One is full of old artifacts and left mostly open all seasons. The other contains a small seating area with a screen and a really cool dig site containing several sand pits with fossils and bones buried inside. Great for budding archaeologists! The third longhouse contains a really nicely designed museum.
There's a lot of things to see and do here and would recommend a visit with or without kids!

I used to visit Crawford Lake often when I was a kid, and finally got the chance to revisit after moving away for over a decade. This conservation area is incredible!
I loved the boardwalk around the lake, which felt like a scene from the northern landscape. The escarpment trail was amazing as well, with views of the canyon and birds of prey flying overhead. There is a small visitor centre, as well as longhouses that educate visitors about the area’s indigenous history. I loved the wood carvings found around the park as well!

What a beautiful place to visit! We went on a cold winter day with snow crunching under our feet and had a blast taking photos and videos. It was not very busy, or maybe it’s just so big everyone was spread out. Lots of easy paths to choose from, plus one challenging one we found heading from the lookout to the parking lot. Lots of rocks on that one path. Otherwise it was pretty easy trekking. Highly recommend for a date, family outing, or a solo journey.

Crawford Lake was a nice surprise! The view of the lake is amazing and it was great to spend some time admiring the view and getting in touch with nature. The trails are fairly easy and there is an interesting historical site as well. Also lots of kids. If you are planning to go on the Bruce Trail hiking shoes are a must, otherwise if you are just around the parking it's a nice to have. Also tried their Elk Hotdog, was very rich. The trails are well maintained and well marked.

It was an absolute delight. We saw long houses and took the Crawford Lake trail around the lake. We saw so many colorful dragonflies, butterflies, several fishes, turtles, snake, frogs.and more in just one visit. The breathtaking view of the lake from every angle is to die for and cleanliness is so much appreciated.

If you are looking for a weekend walk that is not only a walk, but also a learning adventure, then Crawford Lake trails is the place for you. You will enjoy the stunning views of the lake and the forest, and challenge yourself with some steep and rocky sections. You will also discover the rich culture and history of the First Nations people who lived in harmony with this land. There exhibits that tell you their stories and traditions, and you will feel like you are traveling back in time. The only thing you need to bring is your own food and drinks, because the restaurant is not open. But that's a small price to pay for such a rewarding experience. I loved it and I'm sure you will too. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The trails that they have put together there coinciding with the natural setting is fantastic and picturesque. I love that the longhouse village has been put up there to teach people about indigenous culture in a good way. It's definitely a place to take the kids and a great place to learn.

Beautiful, sunny day. Breathtaking trails at every turn. Enjoyed seeing the village, as there was lots to learn, and walking around the elevated boardwalk! We went to the loop trail (boardwalk) and did half of the Escarpment trail to see the lookout. As it was winter, there wasn't much to see, but still a beautiful walk there nonetheless. A must see if you're in the area. 🎠😊

Love this park. Register before going! Family friendly, boardwalk around a really special lake, lots of picnic spots, wooden figures around the trails, and lots of beautiful wildlife and trees to look at. There are various trail to choose from, the look out is pretty! Be careful around the trail edges, there is poison ivy in some spots. Long pants tucked into sucks is recommended for poison ivy and tick prevention too. The educational staff are excellent here. There are thousands of kids that come through here with school program. Conveniently located on Guelph Line and close to the 401. Must try!

I visited Crawford Lake Conservation Area with friends during the fall, and I was captivated by the stunning views and the fantastic loop trails. These trails were particularly enjoyable for us because we had children with us, and a portion of the trail consisted of a wooden path, which added a unique touch to our experience.
Towards the end of our visit, the kids were amazed by the reconstructed indigenous village. It not only provided entertainment but also offered valuable educational insights for everyone.

What a beautiful experience! Came here with friends to do a 1.5km trek but ended up doing a 13.4km loop! Started at Rattlesnake Point along 2-3 other trails until we came upon Crawford Lake. Such a beautiful site! We started in the early morning when it was relatively quiet, by the time we got back to the original starting point, there was a growing crowd of larger groups on the trail. Would recommend buying your passes in advance for smoother entry and exit as that is what we had done. Perfect outing for families, dog friendly and hike lovers alike. Most direction points has a small washroom hut for convenience, Crawford Lake has a visitor's centre where many can rest, access bathroom and change tables for families, snacks, beverages and a quaint little gift shop for memorabilia. Can't wait to return again :)

I have been to Brampton a few times but I have never been to this side of town! I was amazed by the beautiful magnificent buildings. It had this ancient feel and look that I have a special love for.
The park in itself was so beautiful!
I also had the opportunity of connecting with the mayor (met him a few other times).

The store manager at this location is fabulous! My colleague and I needed a Reebok classic shoe for a birthday gift tonight. We were running a bit behind and I called the store and they left the store open an extra 10 mins to accommodate us!! She even asked us if we wanted a gift receipt. I work at a sister company to Journeys and I can truly say she represents the brand splendidly. As a fellow store manager it felt nice to see that quality in another store manager. Thank you and never loose that positive attitude.

So I came in looking to get a certain pair of shoes, and while there was only one other customer in the store and four associates, I wasn’t approached once for help. The other three cashiers were more interested in chatting and dancing along to the music.

I had a terrible experience here on January 8th. The shoes I bought were advertised on sale at a specific price and even had the tag with the price on them, but when I went to check out, the cashier cut off the tag with the sale price and I got charged $20 more. When I told the girl cashing me out she said that they didn’t have time to change the tags on the sale items at all that day but it was already 4pm in the day, I’m sure they could’ve had time to change it or at least honor the price on the shoe. Instead she said there’s nothing she can do and couldn’t give me the show for that price.

I come in, buy some boots..went home, only to realise i received a size larger ..not only the wrong size..but the wrong boot too ..they didn't fit, they were too big, bring them back to store.. and what does manager Azra say? They are WORN! CANT RETURN, THERES MUD ON THEM. How can they be worn when they never fit? Also, can someone please show me the mud?!?! Ive been shopping here for the last 5 years, buying everything from sneakers to boots, even the wife has bought from here so many times. Never had a problem before. My challenge remains, find the mud! I insisted so many times that they were not worn but she didn't want to listen. All this really goes to show me is that they sold me shoes that had been worn before.

I wanted to buy a shoe for my girl but the attendant is not very helpful. She made me feel like im disturbing her several times when I asked for a size. I’m a salesman, too. It saddens me whenever I witness a salesperson in the store failing to perform their duties effectively. We didn't make a purchase before leaving the store because she did not attend us properly, which amounts to a missed sales opportunity. My daughter and I walked into 5 or 6 different shoe stores on a quiet Tuesday morning in Square One. Not a single employee in any of those stores asked if we needed help finding anything and in one case he couldn’t be bothered to look up from his phone. Not until we walked into Journeys and were greeted by Ali. She was kind and helpful and steered us to a shoe that we would never have looked at. She is definitely a kind soul and a great employee! I would shop here again based on the service alone. Thanks Ali!
