Simon Creek Vineyard & Winery is a popular winery in Door County, Wisconsin that produces award-winning wines. The tasting room is casual and friendly, with a great view of the grounds. They offer wine tastings and tours of their winemaking facilities regularly.
Nice place to do tasting, have some glasses of wine and snacks (have cheeses etc) on the deck with view of vines or down the hill, pretty garden area next to the creek. Saw herons on the creek, very peaceful. Less crazy busy than other wineries in Door County.

Nice place , great selection of wines , nice outdoor patio !
The staff was helpful, like to know more about the wine when sampling, I did read the info , but I like the server to talk about the wine !
A lot of gift ideas 👍🏻👍🏻

The most beautiful winery in the county. Picturesque barn and lovely grounds to wander about. Inside is a fine selection of wines at value prices. Most wines are of the sweet variety. The tastings are a good price at five wines for $5. They also had several ports to choose from. A small gift store with food and souvenirs. Restrooms are clean. Ample parking. Worth the trip.

Arrived at 3:35 on a Saturday in March 2022. Website said they were open until 4. We were informed that their tasting bar was closed at 3:30. We asked if we could purchase a glass of wine to drink. The lady said she would ask. She came back and said no. She was not warm or friendly at all. We used to really like this place, but the customer experience here was extremely off putting. Not worth the extra drive. Go to Harbor Ridge or another local winery. Much friendlier.

Expert winemakers with a nice selection, low-cost tasting, excellent parking, crafts, food, and a beautiful customer area. Staff was friendly and well-versed in their wines. Award-winning wines are well deserved.

Great customer service. Staff were inviting and very knowledgeable. Wide selection of fruit wines.

I really enjoyed all the wine I tried. The hazelnut port was my favorite. I loved that they were following cdc precautions even before the state mandated the same. Some other guests came in after us and grumbled about wearing a mask. It was great to see the staff shut the covidiots down with a no nonsense approach. I will be back next trip to door county!

We purposely tried to get there in time to have a tasting. We noticed that the wine tasting was closed at 4:30. We walked in at 4:31. I then asked if we could just buy a bottle and sit on the porch. They did say yes but when I asked the very unfriendly older women behind the counter, they were not willing to accommodate. If you want to be done with customers at 4:30, then CLOSE at 4:30. There were two different cars that came in for tastings at 4:30 that were turned away. We traveled more than 10 hours and would have not made the trip there if we knew we couldn’t even buy a bottle and at least enjoy the view from 4:30-5:00. Very poor attitude from staff
Shannon Gowan — Google review
They have a nice location and the gentleman that served us our tastings was very friendly. Tastings were free if you purchased wine. The staff that checked us out weren't all that friendly and overall the place just seemed less relaxed and welcoming than every other winery we have gone to in Door County.
Jennifer Edgar — Google review
My friends 40th birthday girls getaway. Should've read the reviews to avoid the extreme rudeness of the staff, the older females! We got there 1.5 hours before closing and felt like we were being pushed to hurry and leave. No friendliness from them at all. Was definitely not welcoming. 2 stars only because of the cherry wine.
Door Peninsula Winery is an award-winning winery located in Carlsville, Wisconsin. It offers tours of its state-of-the-art production line and tastings of over fifty different wines made from various fruits and high-quality grapes. The winery is situated in a former schoolhouse and has been producing wine for over forty years. Visitors can enjoy their wine tasting experience either in the charming garden or atmospheric tasting room.
I made my way here, because the distillery is in the building with the winery. We stopped at the outside patio first. It was lovely and the staff was very helpful. I had no idea how to navigate the space, and the bartenders outside were very patient and gave some advice on the best way to go through the business.
There was short line for the wine tasting and we were greeted while waiting. I was told how the testing worked and given a menu to review while in line.
It was certainly worth the wait and I do recommend factoring some extra time to try the wines and enjoy the information from the staff.

Very nice establishment, customer service, and price value. Great selection of fruit wines. I did not partake in the distillery products. Very clean. Tasting was free (5 wines).

Went on a mother daughter day trip here. And the staff is FANTASTIC!!!! Very helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable 😁 🍷 we went on Tuesday end of winter..so not much open, but this place is a must go! Especially On an off season slow day!

Was a lot there. Wine and distillery. Went for the wine. 5 free tastes. Stand at the bar and taste. Nothing for Gluten free people to nibble on between wines. Made it harder to experience each wine to their fullest. Didn't like any of the 5 so I ordered a glass of another on a leap of faith. Didn't like that one either. Tasted 10 but didn't find any that I really cared for. To have with our glass of wine I went into their fudge and cheese shop and paid for some very over priced cheese curds and meat sticks..pre packaged. We went out to have our wine and snacks on a balcony off the distillery area. Not a great view but was ok. Sooo not the experience we really enjoy. The wine was meh.. But they have a Lot of flavors we didn't try. The staff in the wine department were very good. Staff in the cheese shop pretended you didn't exist. They might have something for you though... It's a matter of taste and style of tasting you like. We won't be back though.

Our favorite winery in Door County great selection good prices. We order a case every few months to keep us going between trips. Free shipping if you order a case, makes ordering a case easy.

5 free samples a person! Really helps to pick out what you like. We stop here every year on our way to our hotel. ❤️

Lots of great wine options & decor. New outdoor seating is nice along with a BBQ food truck. Huge parking lot behind the building. Lots of levels so those who can't do stairs there are elevators.

The wine tasting is so fun with lots of great wines and ciders! They also have a great store with so many cool things to look at. Loved playing Jenga and the people who work there are so nice and accommodating.

Nice brake in your travels. Just stop to taste some wino or even have hard liquors (it is winery and distillery together). If you are driver oh well you will not be able to do it. Tasting is free( 5 different samplers), store well stock not only with wine but also with salsa, mustards, cheese spreads and other yummy food.
I D — Google review
Awesome selection of wine with a free tasting! The shop has tons of cute glassware and merch as well!
Jolyn Miller — Google review
Large winery! Has a lot of choices of wine and liquor. Has a nice outdoor space to taste and have drinks. Also has trinks and collectibles to buy and take home. A lot of parking and we didn't have to wait.

I visited several wineries while in Door County with Door Peninsula being the first. It was very hard to visit some of the other wineries after being here first. There is so much to discover here from over 50 delicious wines a distillary with flavored moonshine, Bourbons, other liquor, cheeses, dips gifts and an amazingly spacious building. I love sweet fruit flavored wines and these were fantastic.
I started out with a bad experience in the distillery sampling bar where I absolutely could not get a bartender to take my money even after 20 minutes standing there with a completed sample list and cash sitting on the clip board. I understand first come first serve but if poeple were so indecisive as these individuals were, there was no reason that they couldn't served me and returned to them when ready. I was so upset that I almost headed to my car before seeing the rest of the building. The process of serving people absolutely needs to be changed!
I was so disgusted that I headed toward the front door and at the last second, decided to see what else was being offered. I enjoyed the company of a super hard working bartender, which I dont remember her name but she was definitely a multitasker unlike the two ladies in the distillery area. She handled at least a dozen peoples orders and was able to keep track in her head how many each person had taste tested and what kind. Between the bartenders actions and the amazing array of other things to discover, my image of Door Peninsula was restored before I left the building. I really wanted to purchase something from the distillery but never went back.

DeYoung Family Zoo
Zoo
Outdoor Activities
Independent zoo houses 400 domestic & exotic creatures in large habitats & hosts learning sessions.
We were blown away by the variety of animals at the zoo and how close you could get to them. It was fun feeding them grains, carrots, and marshmallows (for the deer). We had a great time and would recommend to others.
Andrea Kysely — Google review
This is not a huge zoo, BUT.... very interactive with their visitors! I highly recommend a visit if you're looking for a few hours of fun and learning about their critters. They give an excellent tour of the animals and offer many chances to interact with them as well. Well done, DeYoung family & staff.
Andrew Staats — Google review
Enjoyed taking my son, he is only two and did well for his age. We both loved feeding the animals and listening to the walking tour. Afterwards we stopped across the road for a snack and so he could play. It was a wonderful time!
Amy Raygo — Google review
Amazing little family operated zoo. They care very much for the well being of their creatures, and form binds with them. Check out the feeding schedule to see some really awesome stuff. Got to feed and pet a hippo!
Paris Wanta — Google review
It was okay. Went there as a trip down memory lane and it just didn't hit the same. It was a beautiful day out but quite hot. So most of the animals were hiding in their enclosure. It would be nice if they had more non-American animals. It also would be helpful if they made a site map cause it felt like I was going in circles from time to time. The DeYoung Zoo feels more like a sanctuary.

This NO KILL zoo and animal rehabilitation is one of the best ones around. The kids get to have hands on experience and receive education on the animals and exhibits. Great place if you're visiting the area or a local!
ashley martino — Google review
We love going here annually. Bud and Carrie are true animal lovers and experts. They have a schedule of events throughout the day. Small entrance fee also you can buy food for animals. All proceeds go to care of the animals. We also give extra cash donations for the animals. The animal encounters are our favorite.
Dan Susnik — Google review
The BEST zoo. We live in Florida and visit Menominee for family and we always come to this zoo. I love how they care so much about the animals and the animal encounters are the best. Highly recommend!
Natalie Folino — Google review
Fantastic zoo! Everything is so close but yet so safe. You can tell the owners love the animals and the ability to feed them is awesome as well. The different types of animals is also great how it differs from other zoos.
Travis R — Google review
What an amazing place! What a gift to have an owner that is willing to share his love and passion with us! He was out feeding the animals during scheduled times and is very personable. I had the best time. It’s not a “zoo” in the traditional sense. This guy opened his backyard to all animals needing homes. I will be coming back for sure!!! Thank you!
Adrienne — Google review
I can't say enough about this zoo. Deyoungs is a no kill animal rescue. They do wonderful things with the animals. I recently spent the day there with my grand daughter. Afterwards, we did the sloth critter connection where she got to hold and interact with the sloth. It just so happened when we arrived she (Carrie I believe) was working with a couple other young animals, and she was so so kind as to allow us to interact with the wallaby and Penguin as well. We had the best day!! All the money that is taken in from the zoo and the critter connection is used to rehab these animals. So by all means, go and have a great day with your kids. I can't say enough about her knowledge and patience (cause she needed it with a 6 yr old) we will definitely be checking out the new little ones in her critter connection next year. You need to buy tickets in advance for the critter connection, but not the Zoo.

We had the best day visiting and touching Capybaras, Sloths, Otters, Kangaroo baby, and a Dingo puppy. Carrie was the zookeeper and owner. She was so full of great information about the animals and everything. She was so kind and made our experience memorable. Thanks Carrie! We will be back. I recommend everyone to go the the DeYoung Zoo.
Christine Vensgas — Google review
Visited the DeYoung Family Zoo this past weekend and it was an unforgettable and amazing experience.
In total, there are approximately 50-75 species of animals. During our visit, we saw at least one hippo, bear, tiger, camel, emu, wolf, sloth, porcupine, alligator, coyote, dingo, tortoise, goat, sheep, chicken, pig, deer, turkey.
The enclosures are large - some larger than you’d see in large-scale zoos. The property itself sits in a heavily wooded area and the walking paths are dirt. It’s just about as natural of a setting as it can get.
The feeding experiences are incredible. Not only does the family do a great job of wrangling the visitors up during feeding and providing great information, they also get the visitors involved with hands-on feeding of their own. At the entrance building, you can purchase items such as carrots or lettuce and feed them to animals throughout the zoo. There are signs posted that let you know which animals are which to have certain foods.
The animals themselves seemed very happy and engaging. Again, more than I’ve ever seen at larger zoos. We were able to hold a wolf pup, pet a hippo while hand-feeding him and also have an educational encounter with a sloth. This was a solo experience led by Carrie. We had so many questions about the sloth and she was exceptional. Everyone we still at the zoo was incredibly friendly, grateful we were there and so insightful.
When you go, you’ll want to get there right when they open. You won’t want to miss one of the feedings or other interactive experiences. They opened at 10:00am CENTRAL time, not Eastern time. If you need to go back to your car for any reason, they just stamp your hand on your way out so you can get back in. Also, there is no food available on site - there is a small food stand on the other side of their parking lot across the street that has some basics to hold you over. The people who run this are kind as well.
I’m very happy to leave a 5-star review. The only suggestions I would make are perhaps a few more seating areas, picnic tables… and then maybe a park map. Doesn’t have to be anything fancy. Just a print-out of the exhibits.
Thank you to everyone at the zoo for all you do!
J R — Google review
Absolutely love this zoo and the different variety of animals it has. It's so nice to see animals that enjoy their exhibits and are clearly loved by the staff. I also love the animal encounters. We were able to hold baby goats, chickens, snakes, and a baby wolf. You also get to buy feed to feed to all the animals including a hippo.
I would have given 5 stars, but I felt like we spent all of our time chasing the staff around the zoo to each enclosure that they were presenting at. While I loved each one and learned a lot, I'm sad that I didn't have enough time to see the other animals in the zoo.
Next time we visit, we will be sure to walk through the zoo at our own pace so that we can see everything.
Jennifer Willis — Google review
This zoo is so educational and hands-on with visitors and animals. The natural habitats are wonderful to see. I love that multi generations of the family work at the zoo. This place is a must visit. Feeding the animals is our favorite.
The Door County Maritime Museum is a waterfront museum showcasing exhibits that delve into the maritime history of the region. It houses an array of remarkable artifacts such as vintage maps, model ships and memorabilia for visitors to explore. The museum also features a restored tugboat, John Purves, and a historic Coast Guard vessel moored outside. Established in 1969, the main building has a distinctive ten-story high lighthouse tower that overlooks Sturgeon Bay and its marina.
Is a great learning experience about all the ships that went down in the waters around the door peninsula. The sights to see from the new tower that they built are breath taking. Definitely a place to stop and see and learn all about the ships, crew, the lighthouses and what made door county the great place it is today!
yorke zuber — Google review
I've been wanting to check this museum out since seeing it on one of the Door County Trolley Tours a couple years ago. We finally made a Sturgeon Bay trip happen and we stopped in finally. It is a very cool thing to do for $30. My wife and I went and had a very educational time. There is so much that I didn't know about this area and Wisconsin history as a whole. The observation tower is really cool and you can see for miles!! The ability to see all the Marina's and boats going up and down the waterways is neat. I've been into boats and Maritime things since I was a kid. Seeing the history of Sturgeon Bay and its boating history was really cool. I'd highly recommend this place to anyone interested in history, boats, maritime history, and it's good for families and kids.
Court Hutsen — Google review
This is a wonderful museum on the Sturgeon Bay waterfront that educates the visitors about boats, ships, and lighthouses, and the people who’ve built and operated them through the years. We toured the new tower first (with great views from the top), and then the older section with the wonderful boat exhibits, beautiful mural, videos, and interactive displays about the many shipwrecks and how to operate a boat safely and competently. Right before they closed we bought a T-shirt in the nice gift shop, where the friendly employee told us we could come back the next morning for the tugboat tour. We did, and the competent tour guide (who had been a boat operator himself) showed us the 149-foot John Purves Tugboat that had been restored after being built in 1919 and traveling long distances in dangerous waters. Usually seeing only small tugboats in the Savannah River, we were amazed that this very large one was designed for a 13-man crew for long trips and had private bedrooms and bathrooms, a full kitchen, and a large engine room. (We read recently on the website that this tugboat is being repaired and will be open for guests again May 1.) This is a high quality museum, and we enjoyed our time there!
J Z — Google review
I went with my daughter in law and 2 grandkids and it was really cool. All of the history of Door County was interesting and the interactive displays were informative. We really enjoyed looking at the models of the boats as well. We will be back!
JILL HOGAN — Google review
The staff were all friendly and helpful. The building was clean and pretty well laid out. I was just expecting much more, so it was a bit underwhelming. My expectation was elevated since it was billed as a top area attraction in many Door County brochures. It wasn't terrible by any means, just okay
Ray Bracht — Google review
Huge museum, we enjoyed about 3 hours there. We didn't expect to be there for so long but were pleasantly surprised.
We paid $5 extra for the tour of the tug boat and that was so worth it! It was great to see the restoration work up close and really appreciated all the history included in the tour.
Going up and down through the tower was also a very nice aspect of the museum.
We learned a ton of maritime history and had fun.

This is a very good museum that told the extensive history of shipbuilding in Sturgeon Bay. The displays are excellent t particularly he history of this town’s role in WW II production of wartime ships. Give yourself several hour to watch the various videos at the different displays. Take a tour of the tugboat and go up the tower for a panoramic view of the harbor. A lot of good information on the building of the canal and the role of the local Coast Guard. Many different model

Great history lesson on ships and shipbuilding in Wisconsin. We enjoyed an hour in the Tower Tour and another hour on the Tug Tour. The Tower Tour had a fascinating 11 minute video followed by a ride to the tenth floor of a museum with each floor being a different theme. I didn't know how big of an impact Wisconsin had in the nations ships! Our Tug tour was unique, Larry our docent was full of facts. The stairs are steep, but plenty of handles to hold on to. I recommend spending the $20 per person and doing both tours!
Tom Mullen — Google review
Nice museum, depending on what you are looking for. It was windy the day I went, so the balcony was closed at the top of the tower, so views behind glass were all you could get. Each story below had a little room with info on different things, and there were a few rooms on the main level as well.
The website said tours of the tugboat, but was never mentioned with paid admission. Not sure if it was a separate cost, or you could just go outside to see it.

Wonderful museum with a great view of sturgeon Bay. Has a fantastic simulator to let you try your hand at driving a large boat through the bay. Museum also contains the original Fresnel lens from the Raleigh Point Lighthouse. The tug was closed for the season, maybe next time.

Wow! What a nice museum! Pleasantly surprised by the quality and information given! Plus it has a great view from the top!

We are tourists from Kansas visiting the area and we were pleasantly surprised by how much we enjoyed learning about Maritime history at this museum. The museum is well-organized and informative, with exhibits that are laid out in a logical order. We started at the top of the lighthouse tower and worked our way down, with each floor offering a new exhibit. We were so fascinated by all the information that we could have easily spent all day here.
The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. In our opinion, this is one of the best museums we have visited. If you’re a fan of museums, you won’t want to miss this one!

This place is amazing!!! Very clean, organized, and maintained. There is so much to do exploring and it has a neverending learning environment about Maritime ships.
There are ten floors, each one unique to visit. All the floors are accessible by elevator and stairs to find something new and entertaining for all ages. Hands on interactive games and stimulation for a positive learning experience.
A little pricey but it is worth every penny spent. Wheel chair and disability accessible. Very child friendly with many hands on interactive games to explore with the family.
The front desk staff are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. They took the time to answer any and all questions as needed.
This business is open year round, as the ship tour is only seasonal open in May through the summer months only.
Overall a great time spent here, two thumbs up and you will not be disappointed. Definitely coming back to explore again as there was so much to do and see, not all was done in a day.

This is a very nice museum. There is a lot to see here and read. We did the Tugboat tour also and I would highly recommend it. It took five years to restore it to the beauty it is today

Went to share in the swearing in of our daughter into the Coast Guard Reserves. She spent six years serving our country and is now onto her next big adventure rebuilding war birds.
The tower is amazing. You need to watch the video before going up. Take the elevator to the top, enjoy the view, then walk back down and experience each floor. They did an amazing job on each level explaining the history of Door County.
Once you're done with that, roam all the areas on the ground level. Tons of things to see, read, and learn.
It was nice to know that active duty are free and retired military have a discount. Regardless though, it's worth every penny for the entrance fee.
Awesome job to the Maritime Museum!!

What's a fun shop to go to! A nice woman at a grocery store told us about this place when I told her about how I like to do some fun tourist type stuff when I go through different States and she said this was a must stop and she was absolutely correct. The woman inside who helped us with different things was so lovely and even took a few different cheeses to have get cut so I could try a few different cheese instead of buying a large chunk of one cheese. She helped my kids choose what ice cream flavor they want and made the checkout process and everything smooth. The store itself was clean and had lots of fun stuff to look at. We got cheese ice cream, magnets, salt water caffeine, and some small souvenirs as well . It was a great stop and let us feel some of that Wisconsin love!

This was more of a gift soup than a cheese house. Still a great variety of cheeses, sausages, and gifts. Bought a couple coffees, cheeses, and sausages for the road. Excited to try it out. Ice cream was pretty good! I’d recommend the black cherry over the vanilla or vanilla with fudge.

Haven't had a chance to try all the cheese we bought but the ice cream was delicious! The amaretto with Mackinac fudge was so good! Definitely a stop worth making on our road trip.

It’s a house of cheese. How can you go wrong. Staff is just the nicest. Lots of crafts and goodies to go with your snacks. Clean restrooms. Nice area to walk the dogs. Lots of parking. And did I mention cheese? Grab the curds when they’re fresh and squeak your way to a smile.

This stop was a last minute idea, but I'm glad we decided to do it. The atmosphere was great, the ladies behind the counter were very friendly, and helpful, and the ladies were so nice, I almost feel like we could have left with a Hug from everyone of them, including the feisty one, if the Rona wasn't going around. The selection of souvenirs, Cheese, Meats, shoes, and miscellaneous stuff you don't need, but can't live without is excellent. So if your in the area passing throug like we were, make sure and stop in and see the ladies, you might just leave with a smile, an ice cream cone, and a trunk full of new stuff you never new you needed, like we did 😁

For this place being a CHEESE shop there wasn’t much cheese. I capitalized cheese because that word was plastered all over the billboards. There was way more Moccasins, tourist clothing & Door County wine funnily enough for it not being Door County. $80 Moccasins, $70 mittens & 2 small coolers of cheese & meats.

Love this place!! A little slice of heaven or should I say cheese!! This is one of the best places on our trip from WI to Michigan. They had everything from Packer nation, Detroit souvenirs, and just about any kind of cheese you can think of!! The cheese curds are the best!!!

I always stop here when driving by. I can't help myself. The cheese is amazing and there's a huge variety. Plus other local snacks and gifts of you're looking for souvenirs to bring home! I always grab some for friends too :)

Very cute local shop with friendly staff that has souvenirs. I came with a group of 9 people and we all found some nice items for affordable prices. I got a bag of curds, two cool mugs, a tiny hedgehog, a blueberry soap bar, and a nemo fish figurine. The only thing I could really recommend is having some smaller bags of curds. I was hesitant with buying them because it was a big portion and I wasn't sure if I'd like them.

Went here yesterday, and it was a fun experience. I did the wine tasting and ended up with the Sangria. Nice location, just a small walk to Lake Michigan.

One of the best winery's in Wisconsin. Very good wine wonderful staff its very nice when people remember you even if its been a while since your last visit. They also have a great family plan that can save you money and gets you more wine several times a year.

Nice outdoor seating with a tasting area. Something some of the other wineries in the area don't have. They even have a snack menu. Personally I am not a big fan of wine, so to me their wines are of same quality of competators. However, they have 2 ales I really liked.

So first time there what a cool place to visit. The people are so knowledgeable about the building, the fonder of the wine, and the wines themselves. We ended up enjoying all the wines we tasted I would highly recommend stopping by and giving them a try. We did and walked out with 3 bottles.

Our favorite Wisconsin winery!! We love the wine and the wine tasting is the best. Von Stiehl also has a nice outdoor seating area with a nice view where you can enjoy a full glass of wine. We stop here every time we go to Door County.

Loved the tour and very informative wine tastings & cider flights. Outdoor music on Saturdays with a food truck.

My favorite Wisconsin winery. We stop every time we are in the area. Also joined the wine club to have some shipped home throughout the year. I love that it comes with a cheese pairing each time. The staff is knowledgeable and there are so many options for wines. Everyone can find something they like here. And it’s a beautiful building. Highly recommend.

Wonderful winery. Beautifully renovated 1868 brewery, now a winery. Fun and creative gifts. During the summer months they have live music on the outside patio. Luv the wines - personal favorites include gewurztraminer, sassy sangria, and naughty girl.

We had the best time here- they’re already ready for the holidays🎄❤️ some of our favorites were the sparkling viognier & chenin blanc (would be great for NYE) brewvino (great for steak), and the holiday wine (can be warmed on the stove priced reasonably and so festive)!

Quite a busy place with a large wine selection. We went at 10 to beat the rush and were greeted right away and picked our selections. Unfortunately, the person working with us wasn't the most friendly and spent very little time with us, even though she only had one other couple at the time. Would like more history, a better explanation of the wines so you don't feel like drink up and leave. We did buy 19 bottles even though the tasting experience was not what we expected.

I can't say enough great things. We were running behind and weren't going to make it there by close. I called because I wanted a special bottle of wine for my mom and Don stayed open and waited for us past closing. He was patient, friendly and helpful and didn't rush me once I arrived. Can't to go back when we can experience all the Winery has to offer. Thank you again Don!!

I visited today and had a fantastic tour! There is so much more history involved that I learned about. To think that sailing ships came that tiny bit in from Lake Michigan with cargo was fascinating. The tunnels below were so cool to see. We didn't see any ghosts though. Don't miss the party room on the fourth floor (third if you don't count the cellars) where a lot of historical items can be viewed. There were several wines I really liked and I bought two home to enjoy. Thanks to Donna for a very informative tour.

Decided to come check this place out while visiting some friends in Door County. We heard a lot of good things and stopped by today.
It’s a very cool place with a lot of different options. I really liked the Mourvèdre in my tasting and decided to get a bottle of that.
Heidi was very patient and explained everything to us. She made our visit very pleasant and enjoyable.
The amusement park Bay Beach Amusement Park is perfect for those who are looking for a little fun in the Green Bay area. With rides and attractions such as bumper cars, a Ferris wheel & slides, the amusement park has something for everyone. Located near the mouth of the Fox River, Bay Beach Amusement Park is perfect if you're looking to have some family fun.
Still a great experience after all these years! Free admission, free parking, ride tickets are only twenty-five cents, and all the rides are 4 tickets or less. There are several food shacks, a gift shop, playground, restrooms, shelters, and many different rides. You can ride on two different miniature trains and/or the ferris wheel to take in some spectacular views of the bay.
This is a fantastic place to take your kids for a day of fun! Highly recommended!
Many gyms and Pokestops for the Go players

Amazing park to take the kids. Ride tickets are only 25¢ (some rides take 2 or 3 tickets) so it is affordable for almost everyone. The small train ride is especially fun. It is right next to the bay with several concession options. Pretty park surroundings. There's mini-golf and go carts across the street. A great animal sanctuary within walking distance.

There were so many fun rides for the kids. Some of the rides aren't as adult friendly as we wished they would have been, but we enjoyed most of them! Our children aged 5 and 9 enjoyed all the rides they went on! The bathrooms were clean, the playground area is shaded enough to provide some respite from the heat. The food in the Cafe area was very delicious as well! Most rides cost 2 tickets. The huge roller coaster is 4 tickets a person. Our youngest enjoyed the train ride around the grounds. We highly recommend this place for cheap fun with kids.

A very family friendly establishment! I have visited the amusement park and picnic areas too many times to count and each time I have always enjoyed the rides, the atmosphere of the environment, the relatively quick lines, along with the professionalism of the staff ensuring both the safety and entertainment of guests.
Also, at the price of 25¢ per ticket and most of the rides needing about 2-3 tickets is really easy on the wallet for fun family entertainment.
It was very refreshing to see new rides being added to the roster like the Zippin' Pippin', Bay Beast and the 100 ft diameter Big Wheel which I got to ride yesterday. I am glad to be able to have such a magnificent place that has attractions suited for both adults and kids alike.
Hope to visit again soon!

A beautiful amusement park for a relaxing day with family. The park has different rides for kids and family. Ride tickets starting from a ticket to 4 tickets. A ticket costs 25 cents. For a family of 4 , 25$ tickets might be sufficient.
You will have a variety of options for lunch and snacks, if you wish you can bring your own food too.
Overall you can spend a day in the park but if you are short on time then only rides and snacks in the park can take 4 to 5 hours.
There are a few rides closed / under maintenance.
Kids loved zippin pippin , yo yo , boat ride, car ride and some of the ride names i can't remember now :D
There is lots of parking space available, restrooms are available near parking lot D and at the pavilion.

Had a great time at this city run amusement park with our two and six year old kids. Lots of rides for younger kids and a few for tweeners like a roller coaster formerly owned by Elvis. Lines went bad on a sunny Saturday morning.
Parking is free, free admission, and ride tickets are 25 cents each, with each ride bring one to four tickets (most are only one of two for younger kids rides).
Small concession stands with more reasonable prices than any park I've been to in a while. Check it out if you have kids and are visiting Green Bay!

Clean. Friendly. Awesome atmosphere and experience all-around! Great for our group of 7, ranging in age from a fresh 8 to 65. There was fun for all. Pricing was very family friendly from the 25 cent tickets (highest needed was 4 for Zippin Pippin roller coaster) to the snack shacks and gift store. HIGHLY recommend for all ages!

How did I not know this place existed!! Our kids 2,5,and 8. LOVED IT!! They played and enjoyed themselves for 6 hours and at the bargain price of $25.00!! We will definitely be back again!! They have options for younger kids and older ones. Plus a playground and areas to rent for private parties inside and out. Probably the best place ever!

We had an INCREDIBLE day here on our visit to Green Bay! We spent ten bucks to play for hours with our kids. (Our kids are younger; it’d be more expensive for older kids to go on more of the big rides.)
Rides were all in good shape and well staffed.

Lots of rides down when we went, but always a great time. You need to purchase tickets for $.25 each. The rides are anywhere from 1-4 tickets. The average person uses $5-$10 worth.

This was our first time being here and we really enjoyed it! Ticket prices and even the food prices are very reasonable. Some of the rides are not as adult friendly but even so we were able to find plenty to do. The Ferris wheel offers great views of the bay! We ran out of time before we ran out of tickets so it's nice that tickets can be saved for future visits!

Must visit if you are in Green Bay or planning to make a trip in door county.
Beat part is how cheap are the rides. There were almost 8-10 for rides for kids and adults together and 6-8 rides for small kids and we as a family of 3 finished all in 15 dollars.
You can imagine how cheap it is. We almost spent 5 hours there. Beautiful location just next to bay beach . Beautiful weather.
We visited on Friday and it was crowded.

Elvis can't be wrong. Old time charm and a ton of fun for a small price. No entrance fee - 25¢ tickets and no ride takes more than 4 tickets. One wooden coaster, swings ferris wheel, number cars... Perfect place to bring the kids or just have fun with your wife. Sitting in the old time coaster seats makes you realize how we have changed in the past couple generations, right squeeze. Right on the bay. Every city should have one of these.

Such a great place for families with littles! Many rides for kids UNDER 42-50inches. Concessions were great and the hot Bavarian pretzels were amazing! Good pricing! CASH ONLY FOR FOOD. Not too expensive! Tickets for rides are .25 cents and most kiddie/family rides are 1-2 tickets per rider. Real bathrooms available. They take debit/credit to purchase tickets. Such a fun place!

The Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame & Museum is a tribute to some of the team's most famous players, and it has exhibits devoted to their history. The museum also has interactive exhibits that are designed to be accessible by everyone.
I visited with my family and it was entertaining and informative. This museum is clean and well organized. I highly recommend it. If you're visiting Green Bay, Wisconsin this is a must go place. I'm conclusion, I really loved this placed, to learn about it's history and unparalleled players, coaches and it's people.

This is a great experience. If you don't have small children with you, I recommend the full Legendary Tour + Hall of Fame. It's $50, but the tour is almost two hours and the Hall of Fame will take at least another hour. You get to see everything (except the locker room and player areas) this way. Going up on the roof and through the tunnel onto the field are pretty cool experiences. We did the 3pm tour, so by the time we got to the Hall of Fame, we were the only ones there. It was pretty sweet to have the whole place to ourselves. If you're a Packer lover, make sure to check out this tour!

I'm not a Packers fan but you can't help but marvel at something so cool. We stopped after a 30 minute drive from Appleton. Came to have lunch at 1919 Kitchen & Tap and wanted to just check things out. Great stadium, great experience and really cool to see. Wasn't too hungry so had some apps as a meal. Chicken tenders, Mac and cheese , fancy deviled eggs. The other gents with me had burgers and soup. Everything was delicious. Definitely be back if in the area.

The hall of fame and field tour was wonderful! What an awesome facility with amazing history. When touring, you get a sense of tremendous pride, and an organization that respects its past while still working towards the future. Even if you are not a football fan, the nostalgia, attention to detail, and uniqueness are truly engaging. I really enjoyed my time here.

This museum was very informative. Giving me a greater understanding of just how hard it is to create such history. To be a successful team, owned by their fans. It was very well put together. The displays were just so informative.
I think the only concern I had was the level of comfort they had in letting people in with limited security.
Otherwise, such history here. The tour was really nice, and the game was pretty chilly.
I have to say, the one thing I was truly impressed with is the hospitality here. People were genuinely friendly. Took a couple of photos with your great fans, even though I was sporting another team.
Thank you, Green Bay!

While attending my first game I had the pleasure of attending the Packers Hall of Game. As biased as any fan would be, I'd like to be very as critical and unbiased as possible for this review. There is great information here from of all the greats with amazing time capsule displays and information. The flow of traffic is odd and not as streamlined at best. I felt that some of the newer displays were too reliant on walls with facts printed on them but are offset by the amazing set pieces like the livingroom evolution display and the ceiling bicycles. It's very fairly priced and very accessible. You can spend anywhere from 20 minutes to 4 hours depending on how much Packer history you want to soak in. I highly recommend the hall of fame even if you must power through it at the last minute with limited time but I Highly recommend Purchasing your tickets in advanced and planning for it! Go Pack Go!

Our Legendary Lambeau tour tickets came with admission to the Packers Hall of Fame and the stadium tour, so we checked those out first. The Hall of Fame & Museum are very well done! The franchise has a fascinating history and is one of the oldest teams in the NFL. It’s so interesting to learn how the team began, how Lambeau Field came to be, about the legends that used to play and coach there, and how the Super Bowl Trophy got named after a Packers head coach. If you love history or football (or both!), you will be very impressed by this museum!

Hands down, the Best NFL museum and attraction dedicated to one team franchise. A bucket list "must see" for any sports fan, particularly Pro Football. This place oozes history, tradition, and a commitment to excellence. So many displays you are almost overwhelmed. Outstanding full floor Gift shop. Restaurant 1919, also in the atrium. If you get to Green Bay, you must visit and be prepared to regret it. Only the Canton Pro Football Hall of Fame can match this towering edifice.

Had a great time on our Cub Scout outing to the HOF and Lambeau Tour. Hosts had so much knowledge and a way to bring you back in time. One of the guys would get all of the kids fired up like pregame coming out of the tunnel. View from the top of the stadium was very cool.

A very well done and interesting history museum even if you've never picked up a football.
There are many different ticket options - the basic tour was perfect for us.
Lambeau Field is a legendary stadium home to the iconic Green Bay Packers. It features a fan shop, hall of fame, and restaurants that are open year-round. The stadium is consistently ranked as one of the best fan experiences in the NFL, and is always packed on game day.
I am absolutely crazy about Lambeau Field. I've been to 3 Packers game, and every single time it's an amazing experience. Me and the family drove from NY to Wisconsin, and it was worth the 15 plus hour drive. There are no fans like Packers fans. The energy and the overall experience is like no other feeling, and I've been to a Super Bowl and that wasn't even as amazing as being in Lambeau watching the Packers play. It's clean, the parking is good, the tailgating is so much fun, and the overall energy is one of a kind. I cannot wait to come back again.

What an awesome place. We did the tour of the field at night. So calm and peaceful. The guide was very nice and gave us a lot of really cool info about the history of Lambeau Field. Went to a game the next day and was very pleased with every aspect. Food was great, lines went fast, all the spectators were very kind and fun to be with. Sadly GB lost… but it was still just a spectacular experience.

Great overall experience. The area is built up around the stadium so there is plenty to do before the game. In the winter they had a tubing hill and ice skating rink. Plenty of food and bar options. Inside we sat in the club level. I never had to wait for the bathroom or for food/drink. Concessions are all grab and go like a self service checkout. Really liked that feature.

I'm a Bears fan, but have to admit Lambeau Field is awesome. Love they kept it original and added in stages no altering the old. Sat in row 13 on Packers side, very cool to see players close up. Also, people working there and the fans are super nice. Certainly nicer than Soldier Field, and I know I won't get jumped parking in the streets of Green Bay. It was finally time for us to go on the Legendary Lambeau tour, and we couldn’t have been more excited! Lambeau Field is an iconic destination in itself–even when there’s not a game going on! People come from all over the world to see this amazing stadium and learn about Packer history. The tour is over two hours long and a mile and a half of walking–and in our opinion, it is worth every minute and step! Our tour guides Pat and Rick were great and took us all over the stadium. You get to see some luxury suites, go up to the rooftop, sit in the end zone club seats, visit the press box, enter the visiting team’s locker room, and run through the players tunnel onto the side lines. It was so impressive and really incredible to see all the angles and seats we might never be able to experience on game day. And don’t get me wrong, there is no such thing as a bad seat at Lambeau…we just learned that some are way more luxurious than others! I highly recommend this tour; add it to your bucket list!

Crazy cool place. I'm from Michigan but have visited twice. Most recently, I had the opportunity to go on a tour of the Atrium and learn about all the history of the Packers, see the suites above the field, and even walk out through the tunnel that the players come out of. The tour guide did a phenomenal job! My favorite fun fact that I learned was that this field is the last to have all aluminum seats. This is because they are all sold out to seat holders, and have been since 1960; If they made the seats more comfortable, they'd lose about 10,000 of them, and 10,000 people would lose their bought out seats. Very fun!

Incredible stadium and always a great time. Such a historic team and facility. Highly recommend taking the tour and seeing the Hall of Fame. No matter where you're seated you get a great view. Parking is expensive in the stadium lot for game day so you either park a mile away or you pay to park on someone's lawn. If you're coming on a game day, plan on getting at least an hour and half early due to traffic.

Where do I start?
This was my first time at Lambeau and it was everything I expected.. Had a great time from taking a night tour to seeing the Packers live in action against the Saints week 3.. I’ve seen the Packers play 4 times on the road in different cities and they’ve lost each time, so I said I think I have to visit Lambeau to see them get a win and I did just that.. Couldn’t have ask for a better game to see in the Jordan Love era..#GOPACKGO 🧀
P.S. We had one the best tour guides

2023 Week 15 Packers vs. Buccaneers. This was my first live NFL game! Lambeau and the people of Green Bay made this experience one to remember. I came for the history of the stadium and I was in awe the whole time I was in that building for the tour, and on Game Day. The tailgate party outside was amazing. The people of Green Bay may bleed green and gold. Yet they are the friendliest, and most welcoming, bunch of people that I have ever met. Even if I did come to cheer for the other team. Where else can you say that you’ve met/talked/drank with an owner of the home team? I will definitely be back.

This was a nice outing we had to Lambeau Field. I was hoping it wouldn't be too cold for me, but I went prepared and snugged. We drove from Racine, WI, about 2 hours. Since I was with my husband, the ride went by super quick. They have the championship rings with the dates on them, and you can stand in the middle of the ring for a perfect photo, which we took plenty of them of this place to add to our vacation memories. We also got a cheese head hat for my sister-in-law. There was an ice skating arena, which was busy but not crowded, and they had a restroom for guest nearby the I've arena. There were other things around which I didn't take photos of, but if you are looking to go visit this place, do look up information on it so you won't miss out.

Lambeau had been on the top of my bucket list of NFL stadiums. I was there once in the off-season, and I got to see the Packers play (and win, duh) in Philadelphia. But I wanted the Lambeau experience. I finally got it when tickets were cheap in the beginning of the '22 season for week' 18. I grabbed them. It ended up being the game vs. Detroit which was the "win & in" game. Tickets ended up skyrocketing, and luckily I had an extra one to sell! The Packers unfortunately did lose that game, but I got to see Aaron Rodgers' final game in Green & Gold!
The Lambeau experience did not disappoint! After a nice in-car "tailgate" of a schnitzel sammich and fries, it was time to bundle up well for the Green Bay December night. It was FREEZING, though it was probably only in the mid 20s. The energy in the stadium was something I'd never seen before as the fans were lively the entire game!
I definitely want to come back!

One of my favorite places on earth! I've been attending races here for as long as I can remember and this facility has been constantly improving! I have yet to meet someone that has not fallen in love with RA after attending a race. What more can be said about this iconic legend of a place for sports car racing? OK, here it goes....... Paddock area is decent sized for rig maneuvering and has limited capacity shore power. Garages are minimal but adequate. Toilet facilities are all well kept and clean. Views are available from a variety of undulating hill sides. Track surface is in good shape providing an environment for safe competitive racing. Track layout is obviously a classic and continues to challenge the best drivers with the best equipment. Food options are available on site depending on the event and the day.

I've been to a lot of race tracks but this will always be my favorite 🖤 not only is the track amazing but the whole venue is great! Spectators can watch from basically anywhere, the only down side might be for people who don't walk or get around well, but they do have golf cart rentals. On non big event weekends you can just drive to most corners to watch but on big event weekends you can not. The food stands and paddock shop are also great!

This is the most beautiful race track in the Midwest. I absolutely love being here. My dad used to take me here as a kid and I always had great memories from going. We still go to this day and love the time we spend there!

I always enjoy coming here to film races for the networks. It is so close to the Great Lakes and and beyond it's amazing. 4 miles of race car tracks super high speed straight away. Here's a picture from my camera angle. Few people get to see these events from my perspective and I am humbled to be able to share this.

Love Road America. This was our second year driving up from Indy to go to the INDYCAR race and will definitely not be our last. The track is amazing and I love how you can see so many different angles on the racing with just a short bike ride. We did upgrade to electric bikes this year which made it way easier to get around as there is a lot of elevation change inside the track. If you’re looking for the best road course in America this is the place!

We attended the special Ferrari Fireworks show. IT. WAS. AMAZING!!!! I have never seen such a great display of fireworks in my 71 years of life. The area we were seated was perfect. They also had a trailer restroom set up. It was clean and almost better than ones found in buildings. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Every corner of the track is walkable or accessible by wheelchair, though most drive or ride scooters. Facilities and bleachers are plentiful and the staff are patient. The track and surrounding parklands are well worth the journey.

Wonderful time. 1st time at a race here. Plenty of sun but also plenty of shade to sit and enjoy the races! Great time driving around the track to different vantage points to see the races. Very kind and helpful staff on site to answer your questions. I'm looking forward to camping and bringing more family to RA in the near future. Already making plans and excited to share a new family destination location.

I've been to many racetracks but this was my first road course. I came for the Xfinity race but liked that other cars were racing before the main event. I like that you can sit anywhere along the course. The concessions are very good. I'll definitely come back.

Road racing at its finest. I recently stated in a post that Road America might be my 1st love. I grew up watching races here. Pulling in this weekend to watch my daughter race at the karting track had me very nostalgic. This facility is top-notch. It's not all about racing, though. They have cruises around the rack, runs on the track, tons of trails, and the list seems endless. Highly highly recommend. If you aren't into racing, still take a drive through. I bet you'll find a nook or cranny that you fall in love with.

The Fox Cities Performing Arts Center is a grand venue that attracts renowned national music acts, Broadway shows, and other high-profile entertainment. This theater has hosted some incredible Broadway performances with excellent views from every seat in the house. Backstage access for student performances or classes is available with helpful staff members always ready to assist. The center serves as a valuable asset to the local community. Patrons enjoy speedy drink service at affordable prices compared to other concert venues for an unforgettable experience.
Loved it! Easy parking right across the street, great seats no matter where you sit, workers were friendly & helpful, line for drinks & bathroom at intermission moved quickly, prices reasonable. Had a great time. Can't wait to come back!

Went to see the original rock band Chicago concert and guys gave an outstanding show. It was Fantastic! But the acoustics in The Fox Cities Performing Arts Center were absolutely horrible. We were in the Dress Balcony and had great seats but like I said, the acoustics were so bad that I will NOT go to another concert at the PAC.

We had a great time at Cats. Wonderfully done. Such extensive stage production. The actors were talented but it is clear that stage management is just as talented. I really enjoyed our view from the second level balcony. We ordered drinks through the app to be ready for pick up at intermission. That worked out really well.

It was a wonderful experience! Easy to park with a ramp located right next to the center and clear and concise instructions from the event itself, we spend the evening with the wonderful Cary Elwes who after watching the entirely of the film The Princess Bride, regaled us with stories of its making showing just how much it was a passion project! The facilities were clean and well looked after, the art deco styling of the theater itself was immaculate and the view was incredible even from the very top row, all in all I would love to take another trip and see another event at the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center!

Event itself that we went to was great. However, the facility itself was a little under prepared clearly. They opened doors late and had multiple problems with their projector. The CEO also injected herself into performance, which was a bit disappointing as she was not a very good interviewer during the QA section. Despite all that the staff was helpful and it is a nice place overall. l

Beautiful place, very well organized admission, drop off & parking process, friendly ushers, very clean and upscale prices. We went to see "Clue" . Unfortunately, we and those around us had trouble hearing at times and understanding the conversations. We sat in the Orchestra rows under the balcony. It was quite disappointing, especially considering the price of the tickets. In comparison, we had recently seen "Anastasia" at Appleton North and had no trouble hearing clearly. Their sound system was phenomenal. Their performance was also phenomenal.

Pros.. beautiful facility, good production. Saw Les Miserables. A little tough understanding the lyrics, but a great job on everything in general.
Cons...... You have to pay 10 to $20 for parking unless you want to walk a half a mile. They don't have enough bartenders to get you a drink quickly enough. The second you get your drink, they announce it's time to go back in. But for next to $3 they will sell you a sippy cups so you can bring your a drink in the theater. What a racket!

First time at this venue, & the Killer Queen Experience was an incredibly amazing show!
Only negative was the endlessly long rows of seating (we were directly in the middle, front row, 1st balcony section). It was a long way to inch through the multitude of people seated to get to our spots. Once there, we didn't dare try to get out, so we were stuck for the duration, unable to leave for a drink or bathroom break. Very clastrophobic feeling. Never again, would I purchase tickets in similar seats. A break in the middle area for access out would make show-goers much safer & more comfortable.

I like this theatre. I've seen Wicked, Ain't Too Proud to Beg, and Tina Turner the Musical there. The concession stand prices are reasonable in comparison to some other places I've been to.
You do need to buy a $3 plastic lidded cup if you want a beverage while watching the performance. However, you can bring it back for future performances and not have to pay the $3 again.

Note to self - the nosebleed seats are not for anyone that might need to have any leg space for over 2 hours. If a bathroom is what you need, there isn't one on the 4th floor. It will save you the hassle of looking for half the intermission. The refill discount drink service you can opt in for is them preparing the drink before intermission and leaving it out on a table without an attendant expecting you to know that it's there. This will save you the other half of intermission not waiting in line to pick up the refill.
Maybe knowing what to expect can help your first experience here. The show was great easy in and out at the door and the parking garage was not too much of a nightmare. They also offer valet for $20.

Amazing theater. They have high quality productions there and the prices are sort of steep, but you tend to get what you pay for and not much different than going to a Packer game in terms of cost and entertainment value.
The Paine Art Center and Gardens is a stunning estate designed in the historic English-country style. It features breathtaking display gardens and a rotating gallery with various art exhibits. However, some visitors have noted that the upkeep of the grounds could be improved to ensure that all pathways are well-lit for safety purposes. Despite this, it is an idyllic location that provides a sense of tranquility and joy, perfect for relaxation or spending time with loved ones.
We recently had our wedding ceremony at The Paine in the conservatory and it was absolutely beautiful! We had the pleasure of primarily working with Laura as well as multiple interns along the way and every single one one of them were prompt, polite, professional, accommodating, and friendly. The Paine is nothing but breathtaking, and I am so thankful that they have such a great team to coordinate with. They were organized and communicative throughout the entire process which made planning the ceremony so easy – they truly have everything down to a T! The day of the wedding went seamlessly thanks to their talented team…they showed up very prepared and had thought of literally everything to make the day easiest on us as the bride and groom. It was truly a great experience and completely exceeded expectations. (PC: Something Unique Film)

It was a lot of fun! This Christmas theme was The Nut Cracker. You could read a page about the story in which you were looking at.
Another fun thing to do is find the little mice that were set up in some of the rooms!
Look out! There's one atop that blue cake!
We could tell very much work went into the rooms! So much detail to look at!
Lastly, a very, very nice gift shop that was reasonably priced!

The EAA Aviation Museum is a fascinating museum that showcases a wide range of historic airplanes and offers hands-on exhibits for children to enjoy. Visitors can learn about the evolution of flight, from its origins with the Wright Brothers to modern space travel. The collection includes personal homebuilt aircraft as well as commercial planes. During summertime, visitors can take advantage of trolley tours that explore outdoor hangars where they can see even more planes up close.
Great place to learn and see all types of planes. The children's spot is cool for everyone and you can sit in a jet! If you live in the area and haven't gone, I suggest a trip. In the summer it's better because they open the outside hangers and you can take a trolley and see even more planes.

Self guided tours with staff walking around to answer questions. Friendly staff, nice gift shop area. Even if you don't have kids, go to the kid zone and go up to the 3rd floor Control Tower. Have your picture taken with you in the Raptor (Maverick not included 😄). Really a cool place for kids and adults. Plan to spend minimum 3 hours if you enjoy reading about the planes. The only negative was many of the hands on activities were out of order (most of them, actually). Great museum...Highly recommend!

It was a cool place. Well it was a cool place for my husband who loves aviation. Some of the exhibits in the kids discovery area were out of order so it was somewhat disappointing but overall pretty cool. They need to upkeep the place better.

This museum is a must see for anyone who likes airplanes or history! It shattered our expectations in the best way. We had heard it was big and interesting. Wow, it was huge! There are so many planes of all shapes and sizes. We loved reading the history of how things evolved in aviation. We spent way longer than expected just taking it all in. We enjoyed that the displays were dynamic, planes at crazy angles, displays that moved or were interactive. It was a hit with both young and old. The areas showed different aspects of aviation history, from the Wright Brothers, through wars, and into space. Highly recommend it!
We went on a Saturday morning and they were not busy. A few families but we didn't have to cross paths there was so much to see. I can't wait to go back!

One of our stops in 2022 when touring Wisconsin on a father son road trip! The city of Oshkosh is well known for its amazing Air Shows but the museum is just as good! My son and I were here for hours taking in everything it had to offer! There is so much to see and do, it felt like it never ended! No matter your age, from 9 to 92, you will find plenty to do and see! They have a top notch kids play area! Interactive displays! Flying simulators! Live science stations! Film presentations! A vast miniature model display! Planes and heirlooms dated throughout history! And so much more!!! The facility is very clean, nice and cool and very easily handicap accessible. A family could easily spend the afternoon here and go home with smiles and dreams of flight! I know I did! I wanted to get my pilots license right then and there! You would be missing out on an absolute treasure by not coming here! Highly recommend!!! 10 stars!

Ok so I went during the EAA Oshkosh Air Show so they let me in for free because I was wearing the wrist band. Even if you had to pay, it is still good value.
There is a room dedicated to early flight including a replica Wright Brothers 1903 Flyer and Charles Lindberg's Spirit of St Louis. There is a racing/air stunt room which was great, too, a record setting section with a replica of the Voyager aircraft plus a library and a kids room.
It was crowded, although that was due to the airshow.
The restrooms were clean and the staff were friendly. They had a gift shop with great caramel fudge!
James Flynn — Google review
Great museum, the displays are well spaced with seating areas throughout. The displays themselves are well thought out, and the majority of them are focused on the evolution of aviation and the record-breaking aircraft that have been used to do it. There are also exhibits for space and military programs as they also helped shape the history of aviation. You can tell that the museum and its members care about the history of aviation.

Great museum with knowledgeable docents. The history and variety contained in this museum is impressive. Aviation is not a hobby or interest of mine but I really appreciated the museum and would visit again. We got a lovely guided tour and learned about the Wright brothers, to military planes, to planes that have been into orbit. The gift shop was nice as well. This is a well maintained museum that is captivating for all ages including lots of historical details on the placards and interactive demonstrations for kids.

Went with my husband and enjoyed looking at everything. I took massive pictures but there's too much to look at to take that many pictures. Place is massive and has two stories. I enjoyed the interactive displays and looking at all of the lego builds of airplanes. We looked at military planes and novice prototypes.
I don't recommend high heels or flip flops unless you have strong feet because there is a lot of walking involved and every direction you can look, there is something to see.
Heather Holden — Google review
Very cool museum with tons to look at. My kids especially enjoyed the space area where you could hold an asteroid and touch the moon. Lots of great planes to look at and some fun exhibits too with lots of video to watch. Place was pretty much empty but could be just that it was New Years eve (shocked they were even open).
Taking off a star though as most of the kids exhibits were broken or out of service - Hot Air Balloon was offline, one of the robot hands lifted but didn't grab and the other grabbed but did not lift, the RC flier exhibit was out of service, the flying simulator joystick was broken. But of course if you don't have kids this is pretty much a non-issue.

Very large park here in Fondy. The Eastside Park has a great dog area. We did litter pick up there and got treated with seeing a ton of beautiful song birds. There are ample amounts of garbage bins around the park for people to dispose of trash. The bathrooms are clean. We were picking up winter garbage. There's an area that provides life vests for kids too. There's a beautiful lighthouse, flowers that are planted, and not to mention the Christmas lights. It's a great park for everyone

This is a beautiful park on Lake Winnebago with many fun things to do! We enjoyed riding the train, walking on the nice paths, looking at the various boats, and viewing the colorful, well-maintained gardens. We didn’t stay long enough to ride the carousel, visit the petting zoo, rent boats, use the playground, or climb to the top of the 40-foot lighthouse (which is free, and is open from May 1-Oct. 15). Next time we will plan to stay longer!

Tons of playground equipment for kiddos of all ages. Also has a nice water splash pad. Has a train ride and carousel ride as well ~ these are paid rides. You can also rent a canoe or paddle boat, although the water did look a bit yucky. We saw people fishing as well. Tons of beautiful flowers for those lasting memories and photos. The lighthouse was open too. Lake Winnebago is spectacular with all the boats. I definitely recommend going here!!!!

I'm amazed at how well they keep up with the park! I haven't been to the park in years while visiting family, decided to take a few hours and check it out, and was very impressed. The only thing I would add would be some kind of gift shop and a restaurant that is open all year. The grounds were kept in impeccable condition and the Lighthouse was wonderful as last ti.e I saw it.

A nice park. Several play structures, a kids zip-line, swings and the like. We went on a weekday in the afternoon and found the park mostly empty. There are lots of trees for shade and benches for when you can't chase your little one any more.
They have a couple rides for which you can purchase tickets. These are older pieces of equipment that appear to be well maintained. Their kiddie train is pretty cool. So many trains have replaced the engine with a garden tractor. This one has the original engine (although it's now using a gas engine). If you enjoy larger scale models, pay attention to the wheel assemblies. They look pretty accurate.
Overall, a nice place to let kids run and have fun

The rain could not keep us from Art on the Island 😃 Turns out, it really wasn't raining that much and I was very glad we decided to go.
Lakeside Park is most definitely a park you cannot describe the beauty to someone. It has so many little places you are just left saying, "Wow! This is just incredible!". Being there on a day with zero wind makes for great reflective photos of the foliage and sky.
You can lose yourself in the ginormous (it's a word 😆) trees and water surrounding everything. What wonderful place to cleanse your thoughts in as you walk all the bridges.
It is another great Wisconsin city park to take celebratory pictures in whatever the occasion.
I'm definitely going back again this summer. If you've never been here, you should put this on your list of parks to visit this summer. If you have younger children the play areas will be a joy to them and my teenager loves the view of the lake and all the bridges.
Kudos to the city of Fond du Lac and the people who maintain the park 👍.

I'm not a car nut, but I must say I was impressed. I learned a lot about cars made in Wisconsin. Besides cars, the steam locomotive and the Lionel trains were very interesting too. The descents were fantastic as well. They had a lot of information and were willing to spend time with us.

Love this place!
I'm a gear head and a history buff, this place covers all the bases for me.
A now deceased good friend left a couple cars to this museum. I went there before he passed away because I love the place, now it has even more meaning to me.
Excellent pizza, love that you can order and pay right away rather than wait for a bill when your done. Live music is great, beautiful atmosphere. It's nice that you can refill your own water. The wine and cider are top notch. Its nice they have games to play to play! Highly recommend!!

Wonderful experience, first time visit, warm welcome, plenty of parking, easy to find, very clean, 2 large dining rooms with fireplaces, super friendly staff. Easy ordering at counter with table delivery. I had the seasonal Autumn Squash pizza with butternut squash, caramelized onions and more, amazing!! Italian style oven perfectly cooked pizzas and very fast. Our server offered a back stage tour and was very knowledgeable. Locally owned and clearly passionate about making delicious wine, hard to pick a favorite! If your not a wine lover worth the trip for the pizza! We will be back!

This is a must when visiting Wisconsin! I loved every minute I was there. The staff are absolutely amazing, definitely some of the most friendly people I have met. We got to go on a little tour of the winery and meet everyone and the history of how everything started. The wine was absolutely great, such a large selection, with something for everyone! They also make their own sauces and dressings which I highly recommend. The oven brick cooked pizza is simply the best, as fresh as it gets.the atmosphere is beautiful, Will definitely coming back to vist, had a great time!! Definitely the highlight of my trip to Wisconsin!!

Very nice for an afternoon. We ordered the hummus platter and asked them to do gf pizza crust instead of pita. Also shared beet salad. Enjoyed St Pepin dry white wine. It was all very good. Highly recommend.

Their brick oven pizza is SO GOOD! My favorite was a veggie pizza with mushrooms and corn, it was really unique and delicious. The vineyard makes for beautiful scenery, open spaces and big windows are inviting, and they feature art and eclectic music year round. The atmosphere was collared shirt casual and vibrant, even though it was off the beaten path the dining room was packed, and smiling.
Vines and Rushes is a gem!

The wine here is good and we recommend doing a tasting because they are all very different. We took our time to find the ones we liked. The woman serving the tastings was friendly, she knew a lot about the winery and answered our questions with patience. It was fortunate we were there when it wasn’t busy.
The pizza here is outstanding. We had the Garlic Twins without meat. The salads were also good - you could tell the dressing was house made.
Overall we were impressed with the winery and would definitely go back!

The Horicon National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center is a great place to start your visit. The visitor center is just one stop along the way to a lifetime of adventures in the Horicon Marsh. The visitor center is located on the south side of the marsh and offers an interactive, educational experience for all ages. The visitor center offers opportunities for visitors to watch and learn about the birds and wildlife that inhabit the marsh and even spot some of the waterfowl that migrate through the marsh each year. Enjoy your visit!

Factory Outlets
A decent outlet mall. It's spread out into two different areas. It has a few shoe stores, a true Bath & Body outlet which has awesome deals, a fairly large Old Navy and a cute stationary/gifts store called Lang which is local among many more stores. Only a few vacancies at the time of this review.

Perfume hut is the best place to visit! They have different kinds and even the ones you can’t find in other stores. They also have knowledgeable staff that help you pick your fragrance.
Highly recommended!

To be honest it wasn't worth the drive! Nike outlet sucked, they literally had NO SHOES the options they did have weren't worth looking at let alone buying. Adidas had 40% off but they think were stupid and we don't notice they raised their prices on EVERYTHING & not to mention every pair if Adidas were the same other then the shell toed but poorly made and not worth the drive the one store that had an AWESOME sale!! They had 50% off certain items and 60% on others..LOVED IT, THANX Coach!!!
Ny'Cole Zaffke — Google review
You surely will find better deals at main stores. Outlet and sale prices are crazy ridiculous. 2 uniform sets cost me $135 My coach purse was $30. Cheaper on line! Bras were crazy priced. Definitely cheaper at Kohl's or Macy's won't be going back there.

I really like this outlet mall. All the workers I met at my last visits were very nice and friendly. I was welcomed right when I walked in. The Coach outlet was my favorite shop and the employees were very helpful and kind. They answered my questions and helped me with my purchase. I live pretty far so haven’t been able to go for a while but definitely plan to go again someday! Highly recommend

It's always fun shopping here!!!
We always stop at our favorite shops. It's fun to find good deals every now and then. Just have to be careful because some places do NOT take returns! So it kind of is too bad because we would shop for Christmas gifts here but don't want to take our chances.

Completely and absolutely useless. Rewind a decade ago and this was the spot. Not so much now.
The national chains have nothing, most stores moved out and the non-national stores are extremely underwhelming.

Surprisingly I am well pleased with the Johnson Creek Premium Outlet Mall. I do like the outdoor style malls; even if it's cool outside you may want to leave your jacket in the car... because the stores still keep the temperatures very warm and you may get a bit hot and then frustrated you have to carry your coat around while you shop. Some of these stores have better deals than others for their "outlet" prices, just keep looking.
The Fireside Dinner Theatre, situated in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin, began as a summer theater and has since grown into a year-round dinner theater. It offers a wide range of productions, from classic musicals to contemporary hits, providing an immersive and entertaining experience for its audiences. With a focus on delivering high-quality performances and culinary excellence, the Fireside Dinner Theatre has become a cherished cultural establishment over nearly six decades.
I would give Fireside Dinner Theatre more stars if I could. I love that place. Yes it's pricier than I like to pay but the experience is so worth it. The restaurant is beautiful, the food is amazing, the staff is so friendly and helpful, and the shows never disappoint. The talent is phenomenal.
OK the seats are not generous in size, and it got hot in there, but that's the only negative I can add.
The gift shops are fun, always with unique items.
I would love season tickets. I would go see every show if it was in my budget. As it is, it's a very special treat once in awhile.

I went to the Fireside Dinner Theatre in Fort Atkinson, WI with my family to see the Jersey Boys! I had never been to the Fireside Theater, and I was very excited about going here for the first time. The show was amazing, and the story was very interesting. The singing and dancing of these actors was so wonderful, and the choreography was so incredible! My feet and hands were tapping during the entire show, and I enjoyed every moment of it! I had an awesome view of the stage, and the lighting was amazing! The food here is so delicious, the servings are very generous. We had soup, salmon, rice and New York style cheesecake, all of it being cooked to perfection! There were some cute shops here with unique items for sale. I will definitely be back here for another show, and I highly recommend a visit to this theatre.

Fantastic, beautiful theatre in the round. Super nice staff, very friendly. I'd give it ten stars if that were possible Everyone is great from the restaurant staff to the people running the theatre. The food in the buffet is to die for so if you visit and don't eat there, you are really missing out. I'm already looking forward to going back for dinner tonight! Saw my favorite Rolling Stones show, Mick Adams and The Stones and as usual, they did not disappoint. Really cool stage in the round! Yesterday, we went to See the Wizard of Oz. From the moment we stepped into the building we felt like family. I haven't been there since I was in high school in the early 80's. My husband and I were in awe. The staff was fantastic! The food was AMAZING! The drinks were top notch. Watching the staff work together was incredible. The facility is beautiful and incredibly clean. Not only did we see the General Manager working just as hard as every one else, but at the end of the performance, the owner was greeting people as they came out of the theater. I can't wait to go back. We were so very happy we chose those for the last day of our vacation. It was a perfect ending to an amazing week. Thank you to all of the staff of the Fireside!

We saw The Legions in Concert 🎵 and it was so entertaining. Dusty Springfield, Rod Stewart, Freddy Mercury, Adel and Elton John.

My husband and I visited April 6th to watch the evening show of Fiddler on the Roof. The food was amazing, and so was the performance!
Our only gripe was when we arrived at the recommended arrival time, the previous show was just getting out and made getting disability parking (and unloading) very tricky. Unfortunately we didn’t have time to shop in the gift shops, due to the lost time.

The service here was excellent! We were there for the Friday night buffet. The baked fish with peppercorn sauce was very good. The haddock had a pretty heavy breading, which made it a bit more greasy than we prefer. The chicken wasn't too bad either. The breading was soft vs. a little crisp or crunchy but had good flavor. Other items that were good were the Yukon gold potatoes, potato pancakes, and mac and cheese.

This was my first time to the Fireside, although my daughter and my parents have been attending for years. The service was outstanding, the food was tasty, and well thought out although the variety of options are not enormous. The theater in the round experience after the meal probably varies depending on the show, but the one we saw was really fun, and I've only heard good reviews from the shows I didn't get to attend. We will definitely be back.

SUPERCALIFRAGILISTICEXPIALIDOCIOUS!!!!! Is all i can say about FIRESIDE. I Went to see MARY POPPINS tonight with my lovely wife of 2 years. We were celebrating our 2nd anniversary and The show was outstanding. The cast phenomenal. It was my first time seeing a Broadway type show and I was floored. I did not need a 'SPOON FULL OF SUGAR' to help the delicious food to go down in a very delightful way thats for sure. Executive Chef J. Cook and his kitchens cooking was 'PRACTICALLY PERFECT' in every way. The wait staff were 'STEP IN TIME' with 'PRECISION AND ORDER'. I can't say enough about my experience. What I will tell you however is that I do plan on going again. Maybe not for MARY POPPINS but I will go again.

I typically don’t rate 5/5 stars, but this was very well deserved. Beginning with the service, our waitress was friendly, polite, and professional. She was helpful answering questions regarding the menu, and was highly efficient. The pace that the food was served was timed out perfectly, and the portions are well calculated. Tasting the food was on another level… the food was cooked at their respective rates. Posted is the appetizer, tomato soup. It was creamy and flavorful it came out hot, but not burning your mouth hot. The strawberry daiquiri was dangerous as little alcohol was tasted and the strawberry was very heavy. That being mentioned, it was delicious as it wasn’t too icy where I had to wait for it to melt. It was a perfect amount of slushy and hit the spot for an alcoholic drink before a show! The salmon, potatoes, cauliflower, and broccoli, with melted butter in a small side bowl is also pictured. The salmon was flakey, melted right in your mouth, and the seasoning was blissful. Potatoes were cooked just right, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Broccoli was buttery and savory along side with the cauliflower. Lastly, there was the black cherry chocolate cake. It was very most and fluffy. It was a nice light touch after a hardy meal and it definitely was the cherry on top! I’m not a huge fan of cherries, but the sauce did it justice. The temperature of the building was comfortable. The restaurant is a tad chilly, but after you sit for a while it gets warm. The theatre definitely gets warm with all the body heat, but it cooled down in the second half and made it for a pleasant second act. Overall the temperature of the building is comfortable, and I’m one to get cold easily and had no issues. Moving onto the show, it was something like no other. A square theatre, and intimate for actors and the audience to kind of “interact” with each other. It’s always laughter, smiles, light and warm conversations before and after!

I am SO happy with our visit! I got to bring my 6 month old with me and it was our very first time here and I just fell in love with this place! The shops are so adorable, the staff is extremely friendly and our waiter was just absolutely amazing. But the absolute best thing was the scrooge musical. Every single one of those cast members performed from their hearts and you can just tell how much they love to entertain just by how hard they have worked to put on such an amazing show. My little girl was just dancing away with the first song and the very last song, plus she got to wave to “the ghost of christmas past” at the very end and she had the biggest smile on her face. Thank you all so much for a great way to remember my daughter’s very first christmas! The pamphlet is going in her baby book for it being her very first musical. ❤️ Merry Christmas to you all!!!

The Fireside is a fantastic dining and entertainment experience in Wisconsin. I have been there many times over the past 25 years, and every visit was really good. The food stresses a quality over quantity approach, but you will be full by the final course. The theater is a unique experience, with audience seating on all four sides of the stage. There are no bad seats. Likewise, the quality of the performances is consistently excellent. This is a great place to celebrate an anniversary or birthday.
This museum is so unique and just amazing! The owner Bret made for us almost 4 hours tour (because we needed to leave but there is so much more to see and hear) which was super interesting. Bret is truly passionate about the WWII and all the items and treasures he has in his museum and can tell you so many interesting stories about it which makes this museum so unique! Everybody should visit! Bret, thank you very much for such a great experience during my study abroad in Wisconsin!

I went here with my family a few weeks ago and as someone who loves WWII my initial thoughts upon seeing the place where honestly less than enthusiastic but I cannot stress how absolutely wrong my assumption was. The owner Brett is an unbelievably charismatic yet humble guy who’s collection of WWII artifacts is hands down unparalleled to anything in Wisconsin but to leave it at that is only the half of it. For each artifact that Brett has in his immense collection he has an incredible story and background to it that will undoubtedly capture the interest and imagination of even the least interested person, a few will even likely put you on the verge of tearing up (myself included). As someone who’s visited Smithsonian’s museums several times this place looks like a hole in the wall from the outside but the experience that me and my family felt by the time we walked out of this little portage WWII museum was something I have absolutely no doubt any of us will ever forget. As far as I’m concerned this, to me, is was put portage on the map. Brett thank you for your commitment and immense respect to this part of our nations history and to those who were a part of it and also for keeping the stories all of which you retold so wonderfully alive.

The Circus World Museum is a complex that showcases the history of circuses, with live performances held under a big-top tent. Visitors can explore original wintering grounds, restored circus wagons and exhibits on the Ringling Brothers and their collaboration with Barnum and Bailey. It's a must-see attraction for those interested in circus history, but plan to spend at least 4-5 hours if you want to catch a live performance.
We decided to stop from our drive from Madison to Montana. I have a found fascination with the circus so this was a treat. However, we did not get to stay for the actually circus, as we spent so much time enamored with the exhibits and got to the museum in the afternoon. It was fascinating to learn about The Ringling Brothers and how they combined with Barnum and Bailey. It has the original buildings of the wintering grounds, collection of restored circus wagons, and a extensive exhibit of circus history.
I would highly recommend stopping, but allow at least 4-5 hours if you want to see the actual circus. It will definitely bring out the kid in you.

The restored vintage circus car museum is amazing and you can even watch restoration of vintage circus items and cars. This was a great experience!

This place was way cooler than I was expecting, especially for adults! We spent about 4 hours exploring here. The history is really neat, and there are lots of memorabilia pieces you can touch and read about. The circus show was about an hour, and all of the performers were incredible. August is the last month to see the elephants, and we were told it was more crowded than normal because of that. We still had no problems getting into the show despite it being busier than normal. Appreciated that the circus was included in the admission cost. Highly recommend checking this out!

A must see! This place has an active circus act. I was amazed at the elephants and the performers. This was a show for all ages. My daughter of 4 was amazed at the girl hanging in the air. She practiced this after leaving for many weeks. The museum and attractions are all very interesting if you love the history of the circus or want to learn about it. I was impressed but was unable to give the time to the rest of the park. I will come again and spend most of a day here.

Truly an amazing place to spend an entire day with the family or just adults. Historic & educational but also fun & entertaining for under $20. Included: 2 live big top shows daily, plus outside trapeze & aerial motorcycle thrill show. My favorite: a hanger size bldg with hundreds of restored highly decorated & carved Circus wagons & a restoration workshop showing works in progress. Also restored Circus buildings. Circus paraphernalia, such as posters, elaborate costumes, equipment, & models. There is a 1/4 scale detailed miniature model of a complete rail circus set-up that is huge. Indoor theater shows circus documentaries. Everything is labeled & explained; could not possibly read everything. Food, drink, & treats are available on the grounds. Carousel, elephant, & pony rides; obligatory gift shop as well.
It is operated by the State Historical Society & is also a respected research resource.
Highly recommend visiting this place.

What a day!! What a wonderful, delightful day we had at Circus World! We had no idea what we were in store for and we were just enthralled more and more around every corner!
You enter through the museum and get a vast amount of history of the circus, not just Ringling Brothers. We learned so much about the evolution and history of the circus with all the displays. A lot of work has gone into the presentations in the museum, they are very thorough and rich. Once you go through the doors to the outside you are transported back in time to the circus of your childhood memories! From the elephants to the circus in the big top, the side show tent to the carousel, it was just one fun and childlike moment after another!
Our favorite part of Circus World was the carriage museum, it was jaw dropping!! We walked in the door to massive, ornate and beautifully restored carriages that once graced towns with their music, carvings, animals and performers. Imagining them parading through town brought smiles to our faces and music to our soul!
Circus World is magical and I highly recommend everyone add it to their bucket list!

Awesome experience! I loved the circus 🎪 that we saw and learning all the facts! We weren't allowed to video/photo the actual show but that's okay. They also had elephant, pony and train rides. My favorite acts in the show were the mother&son duo jugglers and the aerobatic show but the entire show was amazing 🙂 tickets were alittle pricey but I would definitely still go again.

Circus World is an excellent summer experience for a family. Entertainment, along with learning the history of the circus era in Wisconsin. The Big Top was fun, fast moving. We loved the fun and funny goat acts. Of course, the elephants were the stars. This is the last season with them in Baraboo. The Big Top will go up in the summer of 2024 with a full hour of family entertainment. During the off-season, the buildings are open for self touring. We loved our day at Circus World.

Still one of the best historical sites in Wisconsin. Even better than usual on this day because of the car show (collectors showing their cars got in free - I rode there with my brother in his red Mustang). The workmanship in the circus wagons alone is worth the trip.

So much fun for the whole family, my senior mother, myself, and my seven and three year all loved it. The big top show was entertaining, and the perfect length, the elephants are a treasure, such a joy. The kids even enjoyed the historical/museum buildings. So much to look at!

The circus was pretty cool, we loved the elephants. We were disappointed that we didn't have enough time to also go through the buildings and learn about the history of the circus. I wish the person who had sold us the tickets would have let us know that the whole place would be closing shortly after the show. If we had known, we would have come back tomorrow instead so that we could experience the whole thing. Communication in general was lacking.

Children under three are free, adults are 23$ and I believe there is senior discount. Parking is free on the side street, and two lots across the circus. But you gotta get there early. Bathroom are clean. No food allowed , but bottled water is fine. Only good thing in there are the circus carts and old marketing posters. Everything else is just sad. And boring. Especially exploited animals.
Anytime I’m in Baraboo, WI, I feel a nostalgic sense of warmth and relaxation one seeks when on vacation or simply taking a stroll down this lovely town.
I was especially happy this year, in attending the yearly circus parade, as I was informed the elephants Isa and Viola will finally be retiring this August, to a sanctuary in Oklahoma.
I waved a farewell to the elephants as they walked by in the parade.
Delighted, I visited the circus. Immediately noticed the “ ride the elephants and pony’s” sing
15$ cash. Made me so sad. I saw the line of heavy people all waiting their turn to ride these two elephants just going around in a circle all day long.
I asked an employee for the well being of these animals. She quickly laughed and stated, “they can hold tons of weight and are better taken care of, then she or me.”
Her argument was - since they can hold that weight it’s fine for them to carry people for hours, on a daily basis until they retire this August. How can this not break your heart?
The circus felt cheap. Sad. Outdated. Their only form of income coming from the exploitation of the animals.
Devil's Lake State Park is a vast recreational area that features a 360-acre lake, sandy beaches, campgrounds, and food stands. Visitors can enjoy scenic hikes around the lake on rocky paths or climb up for breathtaking views of the stunning blue-green waters. The park is also pet-friendly but requires dogs to be leashed at all times. In addition to outdoor activities, visitors can challenge their minds with riddle-solving in escape rooms located nearby.
A beautiful hike around the lake. One can hike low and follow the path through the rocks or you can climb up. We climbed up both sides and it was worth it. Fantastic views, gorgeous blue green water. Turkey vultures soaring overhead with a slight breeze. Had a picnic on a rock ledge over looking the lake. Dog friendly but you need to keep them on a leash

I was delighted to find a last minute tent site, actually there were multiple options on the day off to reserve. I got a late recommendation to explore this park while on a road trip and I fell in love. As a local said on the trails “best place in WI” and from what I was able to experience on my travels, I agree! What a gorgeous park. The campground was quiet and well maintained. Bathrooms were clean. Lake water was warm (mid August). I will be recommending this to anyone I know heading to WI. I am grateful to have been able to explore the trails and camp here.

My wife and I stopped in during our honeymoon for a hike. We also stopped in the gift shop to pick up a map and stickers. The employees were very friendly, the bathrooms were clean, and the hike was just absolutely gorgeous.
It was pretty busy, but during the time we were there, everyone was respectful and in good spirits.

Devil's Lake is the most popular State Park in Wisconsin for good reasons.
Want to circumnavigate a beautiful lake, you've got it. Climbing rocks on the West side, walk a railroad track on the East side, and the North and South side have beaches.
Want to swim? Two beaches, clear water, and motored boats allowed.
Hike on a National Scenic Trail? Part of the Ice Age National Scenic Trail passes through the Park. And the Ice Age Trail has no usage fee.
And make sure to set aside time to make use of the rest of the Park's other activities.
A great park in a great state!

Came here early Saturday morning and we found a great spot under a tree that had great shade. We BBQ and then went for a dip in the lake. The water was super clear that you could see small fish. We made the way to the trail to go up and see the balanced rock. We only made it half way because it is a difficult trail to do with smaller children. Next time I’ll make the trek with just my husband and I because the views are amazing!

Great place to recreate! Highly recommend showing up early. The Balanced Rock trail is a fantastic hike for the adventurous. Wear something with good traction, the rock/boulder terrain is slippery at times when its completely dry. Elevation gain is roughly 400-500ft over half mile. Take the time to stop and enjoy the views!

Devils lake is so beautiful! The trails are amazing! Some are easy some are really difficult the trail maps are marked as to which ones more challenging. The ones up the bluff will make you sweat quite a bit but the view is so worth it! Each trail has a something unique and special to be found along it. It’s so exciting! The photos you can take and the time you can spend at this park is extensive! It would take a whole weekend to experience it all. So if you’re going up for a day pick and choose what you most want to do, because time goes by quick when you’re handling this much fun! By the lake there’s kayak rental, canoe rental, paddle boat rental, swimming, a beautiful gift shop, ice cream, snacks, a bath house. Plus you can’t forget about the fact that they have a campground. That’s the best way to go if you’re gonna go all out is to come here and camp for a whole weekend or longer! I can’t wait to go back!

Very geologically unique state park! We greatly enjoyed hiking up the rock pile hill and walking around the beautiful blue lake. Quite busy on a summer Sunday, but park officials have a good system. Follow the signs for directions. So many things to enjoy here. Neat to see so many people enjoying all of them.

Beautiful park! I would recommend to be there no later that 9:00-10:00am since it gets packed! At least during holidays. It has a north and a south area for parking. I liked more the north area since we were with our dogs, and I found the south more hiking with heights!
Geraldine Campos — Google review
It is possible to hike around the lake in a single day. It took us about 4 hours at a leisurely pace. Highly recommend starting from the south park area and taking the Grotto's Trail to the East Bluff Trail, walk across the North Shore Beach and take the Tumbled Rocks Trail and then back to the south park area. It was well worth the trip from the Chicago suburbs! Also, I recommend the Tumbled Rock Brewery and Kitchen afterwards. It's just north of the north park entrance.

Such a fun place to go! The beach is very nice, sandy, not a lot of rocks on the beach or in the water close to the shore. They have plenty of activities for a family to do, paddle boats, other rentals. Water is friendly warm and you can go out a good distance in the lake before you are fairly deep. Would definitely recommend if you want a lake experience!

My timing for this trip could not have been more perfect. The fall colors were in all their splendor. This is a short drive from Madison and has beautiful views, walking paths and yes a dog park as well. Worth the effort and highly recommend.

Wisconsin provides a lot of hidden gems that many outsiders wouldn't know of & Devil's Lake State Park is one of them. Devil's Lake is a perfect spot to spend your summer day. You have the options to relax by the water or hike up the mountain that overviews the lake. The trails themselves are well kept & the hike isn't too difficult even for those who are casual hikers. Once you get to the top, there are beautiful panoramic views of the lake in each direction. Devil's Lake is in a remote area so parking & traffic are challenges when visiting so I recommend arriving earlier rather than later. There is a large picnic area to dine which is well kept for the most part. If you're looking for a great way to spend at a park, I highly recommend considering Devil's Lake State Park!

Devil's Lake is a pretty amazing state park to have in the back yard of Madison. That being said I don't think I'd ever want to go there in the middle of peak season or on a weekend. Early April on a Monday was an amazing time to go. The trails were not too crowded and my wife and I easily managed to do a loop around the lake. The views were gorgeous and most of the trails were rather pleasant. That being said the southeast has some vertical rock step trails that are a bit more technical and would make me rather nervous with our small children and potentially our pre-teens (depending on their awareness-levels that day). However, as an adult I really enjoyed it, but am glad my wife and I went when we did, as we got to see everything without having to manage crowded trails. Definitely worth a visit, this gem of a park will not disappoint and offers some great hiking.

A beautiful park, which offers a variety of activities for all ages.
We hiked around the east trail, starting uphills from the east bluffs wood trail. The walk was really pleasant, on a comfortable path. We then passed through the devils hole and balanced rock and went down on the east bluffs trail, which was more challenging, but definitely worth the effort. The views from the mountain peaks were stunning, displaying a wild scenery of the huge rocks, woods and shiny lake. It is highly recommended!

My happy place.... I have been here an average of twice a year every year for over ten years. The lake is beautiful, the hiking is amazing and unique, the campsites are great if you know which to get.
The place is dog friendly but only kind of. There is only one beach that allows dogs and that beach is all rocks so make sure you have some water shoes.
Unfortunately over the years I've noticed more and more people leaving garbage everywhere... what is with this. There are garbage cans and dumpsters... use them! Oh and clean up after your dogs! I like laying on the grass!!

It's a great place to relax and enjoy nature alone or with family, friends & pets. The trails offer breathtaking views. You can bring your kayak, paddleboard, canoe, inflatable boat or other floatation devise and enjoy the crystal clear lake. There are plenty of picnic tables and charcoal grills throughout the picnic area. Get there early to secure a spot and parking because this a popular place and it fills up quickly. It's just a beautiful place.

The scenery of the park is very beautiful. If you go to the park in the morning, it will be better to go up the mountain from the east, because the sun rises from the east, and it will be better to take pictures like this. There are many parking lots in the park, and parking is very convenient, but the downside is that the parking lot is charged, but I didn't see an obvious notice of the fee, and there is no self-service payment machine in the parking lot. When I came down from the mountain, I found a payment slip posted on my car, but the payment cannot be settled immediately, and I need to go to a specific place to pay the fee. This is a very troublesome thing. It is hoped that the managers of the park can improve the charging problem, and it is best to install self-service payment machines in the parking lot.

Love hiking here! Many steps to view Balanced Rock and Devils Doorway from the South beach! You can hike from the North beach to view these but it will take longer! Recommend taking East Bluff trail there and East Bluff Woods trail back from the North beach! Get there early if you don't like crowds! 8am!

10 out of 10! Stopped here during a road trip with my son in 2022. Place was absolutely gorgeous! However, my son and I were not prepared for the climb ahead of us and worse...the climb down! Ok, not trying to spook anyone here! It's not a sheer cliff we were climbing. The trails are very easy to follow and clearly marked. However, we wanted to see the Balancing Rock and Devil's Doorway. Well, that trail is all up hill...literally! Not only is it all uphill but incorporates many, many stairs! The good news is, once you make it to the top, the trail levels out into a nice dirt road. Then, you walk that for a ways and you've made it! Oops, not quite! Now, you must descend the mountain down to the Balancing Rock. My knees were shot by this point but I was determined to make it there. We did and the view was incredible! We took our pictures and on to the Devil's Doorway. Another good distance away and unfortunately, we were running out of time on our schedule and had to turn back. Only way back is the way we came or the treacherous decent down the side of the mountain on make shift stairs created out of the rock shelf itself. The rock shelf was the quickest way down. It took about 35 minutes to the bottom, legs almost gave out dozens of times and we hustled the mile long walk back to the car! I'll say this, its a must for visiting but if you aren't an avid hiker or climber, you WILL be exhausted taking on this mountain! Be sure to pack a jug of water cause you will need it! However, there are other trails that go around the lake that are very easy to venture. A beautiful beach to swim or catch some rays. All kinds of picnic areas. Both public or private. A great big pavilion, if you prefer tables and the indoors. Plenty of bathroom access all over the park and plenty of parking. Keep in mind, this is a state park. So prices are higher if you're out of state. I picked up a WI park pass for the year. So we only had to pay to park. Come to Devil's Lake, its definitely worth it!

Easily my top favorite of Wisconsin State Parks. Love the length of trails and the elevation. Beautiful place with great views. We travel almost 3 hours here just for day trips. With stops to take in the view and getting ice cream at the North Shore in the summer, it takes us about 3-4 hours to complete a loop on various trails.

First time visiting with family! Trails and views were amazing, especially now that it's starting to warm up. Parked in the south lot, took the route up to devils doorway and balanced rock, then headed through the east bluff trail and tumbled rocks (got too tired for the west bluffs). Wish they had signs showing which bathrooms are open and more accessible water in the off-season.

Amazing hike! Fall is the perfect time to visit to see the vibrant colors of the turning leafs. We got really lucky with that, considering we visited second half of October.
The climb was a bit steep, but with a few rest breaks I made it up. Took me about 25-30 minutes.
The view was really beautiful, the skies were gray and the lighting for photos was just right.
The lake itself looked too manicured, that is too say, the edges drawn in a smooth line, which took away a bit from experiencing nature, but still a pleasure to look at.
Lots of big rocks at the top, where you could sit and snack, while looking down on the water.
There were many people when we were climbing up at about 11:30 am, and it got even busier when we were making our way back.
Lots of dogs and all seemed very friendly.

Spent the day at Devil's Lake with my boyfriend and our family yesterday, and it was a wonderful trip. We hiked to the top, and the view was absolutely breathtaking!
The park was very clean and well maintained. The restrooms were also clean. We used the picnic area by the south beach to eat and swim. The water was clean and cool but there were a lot of rocks so you have to be careful when getting in the water because it's a bit rough on your feet. Swim shoes recommended.
Went on Friday in February👍 Smaller crowd. Took the tour, our guide was very good and personable. Ate at their Bistro, was also very good. A soup and sandwich menu with options for wine and spirits. Also stopped by their distillery for a mixed drink. All in all was a great road trip ☺️

What an absolutely beautiful winery and distillery tucked away in Wisconsin. The facility was much larger than we expected and it was truly gorgeous. Well maintained and picture perfect. The wine tasting was wonderful, even the The tasting bar was a bit too crowded, our server Stacie was amazing and we truly enjoyed our time with her. The wines were superb and I truly enjoyed the variety. We purchased several bottles to go and enjoyed a glass on the upper patio. Staff were very friendly and kind. We walked into the distillery, but did not have time for a drink, but that is on our next visit as we look forward to returning. I highly recommend putting Wollersheim on your bucket lists when visiting Wisconsin.

This place is amazing! The food at the Bistro and the wine are not that expensive either! The parking spot is a little walk to the Bistro and Winery so you would need flats to walk on, specially if you are used to wearing high heels like me. When you order your food at the Bistro, they let you choose where to sit; we chose to sit outside by the "hobbit" house looking cave where they used to store wine back in the old days. If you decide to come here, your experience will be worth it!

We totally enjoyed our afternoon at Wollersheim. We started with a lovely lunch from the Bistro and a glass of wine. We then went to the distillery for delicious Old Fashions. The grounds are landscaped so lovely with a very relaxing atmosphere.

I would give 5 stars, except the wine tasting experience was so underwhelming. $10 for four 1oz pours in tiny glasses. You barely have a chance to experience the wine, and the tasting fee is not even comped when you buy something from the shop. It's definitely a better idea to buy a bottle and enjoy it outside. The grounds are beautiful. We had a wonderful experience at the Bistro. We got the pigs in a blanket for the kids, the Roma flatbread (which was more like a pizza), and the Frenchy sandwich. The food was good, and the service was fantastic! My son accidentally dropped the tray when carrying it back to our seat, and the sandwich hit the ground. They remade the sandwich and even brought a cookie! The Distillery was the last stop on our tour. All the drinks on the drink menu looked delicious, and it was really relaxing to grab a drink and sit on the patio. While this is no California wine tasting, the overall experience is very nice, and for those visiting Madison, it's a scenic 30 minute drive.

The winery is beautiful and continues to grow with an ever expanding selection wines and liquors at the distillery. The wine that we were able to taste is still wonderful. The selection of Brandy, Rye, and Absinthe were excellent.
Unfortunately they were not doing tours or showing their video of the history of the winery. My wife and I had been there many times but we brought a friend who had never been there before. After all we told her about the winery she had expected a little more. She did leave a little disappointed.

Very nice winery. Our family enjoyed our visit. There was one rude cashier. She scolded our 14 year old for walking upstairs, even though the sign said it was open to the public. We purchased 2 wine tastings and four bottles of wine. Very pretty flowers and nice grounds to walk and visit.

This visit to the winery was a failure on my behalf. Their hours are from 12:00 to 5:00 daily and we were just running behind on our trip. We did not get to have a tasting because it was 4:45 by the time we got there and the last tasting was at 4:30 however their landscaping and overall atmosphere was spectacular. We are definitely going to come back here another time but this time we will make sure we get here plenty early.

The views here are worth the visit. The wines are very good, especially the Prairie Fumé! The new distillery is already producing some really good whiskey, especially the Round Top Straight Rye! We also loved the sandwiches, chili, and soup at the Bistro. Everything was very good.

I recently visited Wollersheim Winery & Distillery and was thoroughly impressed. Tucked away in the scenic landscape, the winery exudes rustic charm and tranquility, making it a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of Madison.
The picturesque setting of rolling hills and lush vineyards immediately captivated me. The winery's commitment to maintaining a beautiful and natural environment is evident in every aspect of the property. The spirit room was our first stop, and it did not disappoint. While they offer a selection of spirits including brandy, gin, and rye, the standout for me was the bourbon. It offered a complexity and depth of flavor that was truly remarkable, with intricate notes that lingered delightfully on the palate.
After the spirit tasting, we headed to the terraced patio for a leisurely lunch. The patio offers a breathtaking view of the vineyards, creating a serene backdrop for our meal. The winery's commitment to farm-to-table cuisine was evident in every dish. Fresh, local ingredients were the stars, elevating simple dishes to culinary delights. Each bite was a celebration of the region's produce, perfectly complementing the selection of wines we tasted.
The wine tasting itself was an experience to cherish. The knowledgeable staff guided us through a selection of wines, each with its unique character and story.
Wollersheim Winery & Distillery is not just about the spirits and the food; it's about the experience as a whole. The staff are incredibly welcoming and knowledgeable, eager to share their passion for winemaking and distilling. The grounds are meticulously cared for, inviting guests to stroll and explore.
In addition to the tastings, the winery offers tours, providing an insightful glimpse into the winemaking and distilling process. This added a layer of appreciation for the craftsmanship behind each bottle.
Wollersheim is certainly worth a stop for anyone in the Madison area seeking a serene and sensory retreat. Whether you're a connoisseur of fine spirits and wines or simply looking for a picturesque spot to unwind, this winery offers an exceptional experience.

Wollersheim winery and distillery is an excellent destinations for an afternoon or an evening. I have never been to the site before until today but greatly enjoyed the beautiful grounds and tasting rooms. We spent a good amount of time in the distillery tasting room, trying several of the bourbon and Brandies as well as a Sazerac cocktail! … the environment and the beverages were all very impressive!
The grounds are very pleasant for picnicking and just walking and enjoying the foliage. Many lovely place to sit.

Baumgartner's Cheese Store & Tavern is a historic establishment that has been serving customers since 1931. It offers a delightful combination of a cheese and specialty food shop along with a charming tavern where visitors can enjoy local beers and pub-style meals. The cozy interior features wooden booths, while the outdoor patio provides an ideal setting for enjoying cold beer during the summer months. The tavern is renowned for its wide selection of gourmet cheeses, which are featured in their popular rye bread sandwiches.
Stopped in to try their new menu item of burgers which we've heard so many positive things about. Delicious! Hand formed patties, served with Mrs Mike's potato chips, and several selections of what I call uniquely named beers to go with your meal! Definitely a win! Great service as always!

A friend recommended this place and we were not disappointed. The service was good but the food was great.
I can't say enough about our food .. good cheese is so satisfying. It was a cold day in January 2023 we had the tomatoes basil bisque warm thick and tasty. Tuna melt topped with slice of tomatoes and cheddar, pastrami and Swiss on rye served with extra cheese and a pickle 😋
Its an awesome atmosphere serving awesome food . We highly recommend 👌

A kitschy Wisconsin institution! Truthfully this is a glorified bar but it’s certainly a unique institution. The beer selection is good, featuring about 20 rotating taps, featuring Wisconsin breweries. They also had a decent selection of non-alcoholic beers (although that may have been supplemented for dry January). The menu is simple, featuring “room-temperature sandwiches” (their words!) with Wisconsin cheeses and meats. They also have several daily soups. The real selling-point is the ambiance. The walls are covered in interesting artwork, the chairs are handmade and the environment is cozy. If you want a great Wisconsin experience, this is a top destination and won’t disappoint!

Excellent food and service. Ample street parking on the square. Very good selection of cheeses for sale.
Lovely Wisconsin Historical Society site. It's a Cornish mining settlement from the 1800s (one of the mines is across the street and you can walk the trails). In the 1930s two men bought and preserved many of the buildings. Admission price gets you a guided tour..ours lasted about 45 minutes. There are a couple buildings you can visit on your own. Nice little gift shop as well. Bottled water is available to purchase and there is a drinking fountain by the restrooms too. Parking area is in a lot kitty corner to the site. The whole Mineral Point area is rich with history and there are so many beautiful historic buildings.

Well worth the $10 admission. Our guide told us wonderful stories of the area and historical buildings for an hour while going in and out of several historic buildings.

The small museum includes several small buildings centered around a former restaurant open ed by a couple of guys partially to save old buildings from mining times. We went for a tour, and the story about how a "startup" restaurant survived in the middle of nowhere is interesting, though there are no very special artifacts. There was a knowledgeable person in the group who asked questions and sometimes was giving answers more interesting than the guide, and it was a very big plus.

We visited on a Saturday in Sept 2022. The buildings are amazing! Made by the miners and masons in the area, and later restored by two visionary men, they are now open for visitors. The stonework is beautiful, and the upper buildings are rustic and historic. We were the only two folks on our tour, which was led by a friendly, personable, and knowledgeable young man -- he loved history and it really showed thru! Mineral Point has lot of other stuff to do, but this was the highlight for us. We are members of the Wisconsin State Historical Society, so admission was free. Recommended!

Visit to learn the very interesting, unique Cornish mining history in the driftless area and Mineral Point. Also learn about the couple who restored the property. Highly recommended!

Unique history on how the place was saved and restored. Nice hike with history of mining across the street.

A beautiful and amazing place! Remember to practice Leave No Trace! It's not a trail, but it is a historical site that is proudly cared for by volunteers and employees alike. So, it's important to use the appropriate receptacles for your garbage rather than leaving them on the ground for someone else to deal with.

We are members of the Wisconsin Historical Society and love visiting all of the sites, but Pendarvis and Villa Louie are absolutely great every time!
All of the wines were very good. Kyle was really friendly and helpful. The mango lime salsa was really tasty. The property and the atmosphere was beautiful.

Awesome!! We had a personal experience with the owner and got to know the place first hand and the history!! Couldn't be more appreciative of the atmosphere (felt like a cabin the Gatlinburg) while enjoying some of the finest wines in the area! Strong and simple! To the point! The bottling is cool too! Kinda felt like the Roadhouse of wineries and we enjoyed every second! Even got toe peep some of the fish the family caught together growing up! We really appreciate owners and families like this and hope everyone can see through the same lens as we do when they visit!!

I visited this winery as part of my tour though the Upper Mississippi River Valley with one other person. This winery uses only wine from it’s own vineyard, which is why I chose it.
It seems to be run by the owner, Kyle, and his son who ran out to greet us as we parked. Other people have commented that the winery seems understaffed. Personally, I find the father-son duo endearing.
On average, the wines were excellent. A few that stood out were (by my subjective opinion): The Hillside Rose, which drinks like chocolate port, but at a much lower alcohol percentage. Wild Turkey Blush, which opens sweet and finishes with a delightful contrasting savory pepper taste. White Tail, which I highly recommend for people who are trying to develop a taste for Rieslings.
Also, they had a variety of grape that I had never encountered before, Léon Millot, I’m not sure if it’s particularly uncommon but I haven’t seen it before so I was excited to get a bottle to share with friends.
I was given a glass to use along with the small cups for my tasting. I would recommend asking for an empty glass if one is not provided, I’m sure they’ll be happy to oblige since it only servers to better bring out the excellent quality of their wine. I left with a case.
The owner is very passionate about his wine, he showed a great interest in listening to our thoughts on the wine and sharing the stories of his wines and vinyard, which me and my companion greatly appreciated.
I highly recommend this winery. If you’re newer to wine, the staff if very helpful with recommendations. If you’re already a connoisseur you’ll appreciated the terroir that these wines offer.

My husband and I had a great time at this winery. Different atmosphere than most other wineries which was nice. Wonderful wine and great atmosphere.

It is odd that this is listed as a hotel. This is a winery.
We stopped here because we love visiting local wineries. Truly some of the worst wine we've ever had. Odd flavors, vinegar-like, etc. What's worse, we sampled some and thought it was okay - but when we got home, our experience was entirely different. And no, we didn't let the wine get overheated in the car or anything like that.
Not worth the trip.

What a surprising experience! I'm swinging back around, after more than a year after having been at Rocky Waters Vinery and can still say 'You must go.' Take the time and breathe in this exquisite corner of the earth they've captured. We were there in the off-season and, as such, our gathering of our children plus the new son-in-law got to enjoy the soaring lodge-like setting of the tasting room in peace. I've been to a lot of wineries, including those in the Sonoma area and have never seen a setting that can compare. You won't find a more awe-inspiring view in the area. The charcuterie boards are a delicious pairing to the wines which must have been worthy, as we headed home with a case. While it was too cold to be outside, we had lovely views out the large windows, of the valley laid out below. If in the area and you are at all inclined toward wine, you simply must go. ~Two Heads Consulting

A fun vineyard near our home for the week, camping at the Palisades.
We came in on a quiet Monday, and were welcomed once they realized we had come in. A lot of fun, playing with the offerings, and that there were not too many people in house at the time.
We tried a flight of wines, choosing some for both me and my wife. Very nice wines, with the Homestead Red being my favorite, and my wife enjoying the Highland Blush and the mulled spice slush! I concur on the slushy. ;-)
We also tried (something like) Vineyard bread tray, which was amazing! Very tasty, and a wonderful pairing with the wines we tasted.

Awesome winery, tasting, and location.
Jared and Phyllis are wonderful people. Made us feel very welcome and gave us an absolutely fantastic selection of wines for tasting. We ended up walking out with half a case and plans to return in less than 2 months. Thank you so much!!!!

So disappointing. I love wineries, the pictures online is why we made the trip up this place. The wine we tasted was all terrible. They all tasted the same. I would say the wine tasted more like hard liquor more than it did wine. The flight we got was served in small plastic cups (condiment cups) and it was 12 dollars for the sample!. Much more expensive than most wineries with less quality and less wine. The place was small , outside had a nice view , inside very little seating options and the stool are very uncomfortable. I have been to many wineries and did a lot of tastings over the years and this place is def not where you'd want to go to taste wine.
Would not go back again.

We stopped here after visiting another winery on the way in and have to say compared to our first this was a bit disappointing. It seemed the owners were a bit preoccupied and or understaffed. We often ask what are the best sellers at any winery, as all have their best sellers, as a place to start. It was as if we had insulted her as she then pointed out that all of their wines are award winning and they don't offer any that aren't good. Funny thing, we didn't ask what was good but what were some crowd favorites.
We ordered a cheese tray, which was delicious and the pepper jam was amazing. We also had two flights, several of which we enjoyed. The gentleman who came around was very personable and did make us feel a bit better about the experience.
All in all it was okay, but we really enjoy a more inviting and warm experience, especially since we were the only ones there for quite a while.
PS: if you are a dog lover they have two of the cutest well behaved pooches!
Great tour, Bar, and social area. Their Whisky, Gin, Vodka, and Rum are all excellent. Definitely a must stop if you’re coming to Galena!

Fantastic place. We went about 2 hours before close. Not a lot of people in there but enough to have fun. We sat at the bar and were promptly greeted by Lexy. We perused the menu and I ordered a smoked old fashioned. My wife didn’t know what to have and Lexy suggested a cocktail that she liked. Both drinks were amazing. It was definitely the best old fashioned I’ve ever had. I then wanted to try their gin, and Lexy suggested 50 shades of your mom. Lexy wins again. Smelled EXACTLY like a lemon shake-up. Tasted so good I limited myself to one because I think I could have tried to drink 30 of them. The .5 oz flights of spirits are great for sampling without committing to one you may not like (but they’re all great so that won’t happen) We had an awesome time chatting at the bar with Lexy and I absolutely would come back here again!

Stopped in here with a group of friends on my wife's birthday weekend. To say the least this place didn't disappoint. Delicious drinks served by both knowledgeable and attentive bartenders for an affordable price. Everyone we dealt with was friendly and quick to answer any question we may had. Our battender explained the drinks in question and offered advice in regards wo which ones we'd probably like based on our normal drinking habits. We all tried several different drinks and even came up with a few of our own. My absolute favorite though was one that was made with their very own Hellfyre Vodka and blood orange... We all had such a good time and we're already planning a return trip in the near future.

Wow what a place! I had never been to a distillery before so I’m glad my husband suggested a tour of this gem while visiting Galena. All of the staff were extremely friendly and kind and helpful. Our tour guide was great and gave information and a very fun way. I had zero idea going in how any booze was distilled and when I left I understood the process of the things that they distilled!
Needless to say the things that we tasted at the end are not my cup of tea so I cannot say whether or not their alcohol is great from a personal standpoint, but so many of the people were commenting how excellent things were and my husband told me his drinks were smooth and flavorful. I love the story of how the distillery came to be. I definitely think that you should check this place out if you are ever in the area!
The Ulysses S. Grant Home is a historic mansion built in 1859 which was given to President Ulysses S. Grant. The home features original furnishings, including chairs and tables that were used by the General and his family, making the history of the home come alive. Visitors can take guided tours led by knowledgeable guides who are passionate about the history of the Grant family and their home.
It really helps to understand more about Grant as a person. One gets the impression that he was a homebody. The house is very well kept. The guide was well informed and answered all the questions.

The tour is free but donations are recommended. Tours run about every 10 to 15 mins. You wait on the porch for a guide to get you. You can take all the photos you want. About 90 percent of the items in the home are original to the Grant family. Plenty of parking.
When you are done here head downtown to see an amazing Main street that looks like a movie set from the old days and then head to the Grant/Galena museum. There is a charge as it is separate from the Grant home but very much worth visiting.

Our tour guide was awesome, very informative, was a nice step back in time. So glad Galena appreciates it's history and preserves it so well, and teaches the generations of now the glorious history of then. Thank you for having us and educating us on your rich history! All of Galena was a pleasant experience, Grant House was our favorite stop of all. Check it out and see for yourself! You won't regret it, just kind the back stairs of the Grant House, I feel for whoever had to frequent those stairs they're a dandy.

It's so rare that a historic home still has the original furnishings, but that's what you find in the Grant Home. Yes, the General sat in those chairs. Yes, the family gathered at that table. It makes history so real.

Great history this house is in the middle of a neighborhood that you would never expect that a US president lived there. Guide was very knowledgeable and learned a great deal. Need less than 30 minutes to see the entire thing. Great way to stretch your legs out on a ling trip. You don't need to buy a ticket but a $5 donation is suggested money goes towards the up keep.

This was a place that I had seen mentioned for years but had never visited. I am glad that I waited as they have added air conditioning to the property! The entry cost is by donation and the suggested amount is $5 for adults and $3 for children. The staff are incredibly knowledgeable about everything Grant! I learned so much more about our 18th president during this visit. It is truly amazing how people were able to operate without the amenities that we enjoy today and I truly respect the Grant's even more for foregoing slaves!

I had an absolutely awesome time here the other day while there was all the snow blowing in. The tour guide was beyond informative and had just the amount of dry historian humor I always look for and can appreciate. It was a pleasure being able to tour the Grant home, and I recommend it to anyone visiting Galena to stop by and look at everything in the house. I especially loved being able to see it all decked out for Christmas.

Learned so much from this tour, which was partially guided and partially self-guided. Our tour guide was friendly and very knowledgable!
The home was relatively small, but ornate, and featured over 90% original items. The grounds are lovely and also offer a great view of the historic downtown.
The house is up on a hill so walking/going up a few flights of steps may be needed.

The pride and joy of Galena, Illinois! This location is definitely worth a visit. I’d recommend taking the tour of the home. The tour takes you around the inside of the entire house and you can see important items/rooms of the ex-president. The tour guides are incredible at their job and invite curiosity. The tour is free, but they do expect a donation. You can wait at the front door and up to 15 minutes for the tour to start. Afterwards, you can walk around the grounds and see other artifacts and buildings.

There is a ton to see here!! The most famous painting of when the Civil War ended is here and it's massive!!! There is a neat holographic movie before you get to wander around the museum!!! The gift store is full of really cool stuff!! A fair warning though-- to get to certain parts, there's flights of stairs and they're a bit steep (that's just how the houses from that time period were made though). The staff is wonderful and if you can do the stairs, the paintings are all up there!! Worth the price of admission!!!

If you enjoy museums, this is a must-see museum located in Galena, Illinois and it is very kindly staffed by volunteers from the Historical Society. We were able to visit the museum during the 85th anniversary celebration of the museum opening which was a special weekend where attendees were able to explore the secrets of the museum with some very cool behind-the-scenes tours. The volunteers that run this museum are top-notch and we found that they were very knowledgeable and so open to sharing their knowledge with visitors. Although the museum is packed with many treasures, we were thrilled to be able to see the 9'x12' "Peace in Union" painting which depicts Lee's surrender to General Grant. Thank you to the volunteers for all they do to maintain this museum, document, add new items, prepare exhibits, etc. In the future, the museum will move to a new, modern building in Galena.

Absolutely loved this place! This is a small museum in downtown on Bench street which stores Galena's history, some civil war history and President Grant and his wife's memories. The house itself is old, has fine Italian marble fireplace and framework. Museum stores President Grant's world tour and Civil war memories as a General. Additionally it has a separate room dedicated to baseball history and a miniature mine open for the public to see. In the front room which used to be Grant's living room, has a really old map of Galena printed in 1854 on the wall. The view of Bench street from the window is relaxing.
