There's no reason not to visit this quirky, free tourist attraction. With some small rock formations on top of the hill, you can get a good view of the surrounding area and if you have kids they can have fun playing around.

Dale is pondering if there's enough propane and propane accessories in Arlen to cook up "Salem Sue", the world's largest holstein cow. She's 38 feet high, and 50 ft long and weighs about 12,000 lbs. It was a long drive to get here, but I love roadside Americana like this! Thank you volunteers and donors for keeping such an important figure to our heritage alive!!

We saw it from the expressway. The huge letters spelling out New Salem was reminiscent of the Hollywood sign until you see the huge cow. Lol. We just had to stop. Perfect excuse, we needed gas. Even more perfect we had the time to spare. It was well worth it. Once you make your way to Sue you can add a bonus of climbing a little further up for a gorgeous view of the area. It only really added less than an hour. Just do it. My pictures don't do the view justice
Valerie — Google review
Driving west you can see Sue from far away - it’s quite the sight to behold. Driving to the gravel road to Sue herself was simple (plus two great gas stations right before). Sue is enormous and has clearly gotten a recent paint job because she was beautiful. The visit only added a brief stop on the trip and was worth it.
Ian Kirk — Google review
A giant cow that's definitely worth a quick visit. Salem Sue is a beauty. I'm glad the local folks have taken great care of her. She is well maintained and the ground is clean.
Jasmine — Google review
This was a fun stop, we parked and walked up the hill to see Salem Sue World’s Largest Holstein Cow. This is the mascot for the area to honor the dairyman that live here. There is no fee to see her, but she is not lighted at night. When you get to the top of the hill you can see a beautiful vista in all directions.
J. Shaw Renner — Google review
We have been driving by here years we decided to stop this year. It very neat I like these kind of things. Great views from there also
John Plough — Google review
Fun and out in the middle of nowhere. it's an easy drive from Bismarck. You just drive up the hill and park your car and just walk up a fairly easy path to visit Salem Sue. This is a free, but there is a donation box at the entrance. Drop in a dollar so they can keep up the maintenance on the cow. If you get the and no one is around, it's very peaceful. The 360 degree view from up on the hill is stunning.

Must stop and see. I loved the area and the cute drive up. There is a cute picnic area and lots of room to stretch.
EboniC Boopsy — Google review
Had to make a stop here on our way home to Ohio. She sits atop a big hill and a dirt road will take you up there. A great place for a photo op or even just to enjoy the views of the plains from the top of Sue's hill. Worth the stop.
Lauren Delgado — Google review
Fun "little" roadside attraction!! It was a rainy day so the drive up and down to the parking area was muddy.
Great views of New Salem, ND and surrounding areas!! A must-see for all traveling through!!
Stephanie Weiss — Google review
This giant cow is pretty cool to see while passing through town. It is a pretty original sculpture, and it deserves to be seen at least once in a lifetime.
Evgeniya Bozhko (KoriAndrTheCat) — Google review
Amazingly fun place to stop by! You will find great views standing right next to Sue on top of the hill. People are doing a great job maintaining the area around and Sue as well.
Angelina Damirchan — Google review
It's a short ride up a gravel road to the base of this roadside attraction. At 38' tall and 50' long, Salem Sue is considered to be the largest Holstein Cow and weighs approx. 12,000 lbs. While admissions are free, donations are graciously accepted at the bottom in a designated collection bin, which are used exclusively for the maintenance and upkeep of the statue.
Manoj Nayak — Google review
That’s one big cow! Definitely one of the fun parts of this road trip! I’d recommend Salem Sue to ANYBODY! And their kids, and their mom’s and their in laws.
Museum dedicated to the historic Lewis & Clark Expedition, with hands-on exhibits & a shop.
Great educational experience.
The staff was very helpful.
We love that they offer a Jr. Ranger program too!
Catherine White — Google review
Informative staff, wonderful exhibits…my only issue was that I did not allow enough time.
Marie — Google review
Lots of information here about what the expedition brought with them, how they got started, and their adventures here in ND. One entrance fee of $8 per person gets you into this museum as well as fort Mandan.
PS. The jingle dresses in the gift shop do fit American dolls.
Ellie Akola — Google review
Wonderful museum with two different ways to experience Lewis and Clark history. A modern facility with stunning art pieces and displayed artifacts. The other is a short drive to a full size reproduction of L&Cs encampment. This structure is filled with tons of replica items to touch and feel. Our guide was a chipper young lady named Cameron. Gave a nice presentation, answered questions, and added cute little personal remarks about time period comparisons that made the tour fun.
Pete Zielinski — Google review
Will come back when the outdoor fort is open! This is where the expedition wintered and stayed the longest so want the full tour. The interpretive center was great and the gentleman working gave us some great help. This is also a highway rest stop so nice facilities as well.
Verlee Gilkerson — Google review
Lovely rest stop/ museum if you wish to go in. There's a souvenir store and the bathrooms were clean. Good amount of parking and picnic area as well.
Terri Hatfield — Google review
Very nice place that's a lot bigger than it looks. Take your kids and have them do the junior Ranger thing. The oath at the end is awesome, although a little long we loved it as we heard a little girl take her junior Ranger oath. Plus, it's not just about Lewis and Clark. They talk about much more than I didn't know about and about the origins of farming in the area. We didn't go to the ban deck view. Wish we had now. It looked too have an amazing view. Oh, and just give yourself 5 to 10 minutes to get to the fort
They have tours on the hour. We almost missed the turn, if you get to the dirt road, you just passed it. And at the dead end loop there is a beautiful view of the river and lots of paths to walk in the area.
David Linscott — Google review
Well designed Interpretative Center for one of the most historic discovery tours of new land ever done. Incredible displays, great history, very broad range of topics.
Chris Wenner — Google review
We have been here several times. Each time I discover something new. Love the art galleries. The kids favorite area was the farm area. They also liked digitally painting a scene.
Suzy B — Google review
An easy, educational day trip from Bismarck. This interpretive centre is also a rest stop on US83. The museum has done a nice job depicting the events in a chronological manner. There are also ample artifacts, from surveying equipment, weaponry of the time to a preserved prairie dog. Admission also includes a guided tour of the reconstructed Fort Mandan. Although the ruins of the fort are nowhere to be found, possibly due to the change in course of the Missouri River over time, it is believed that the expedition team constructed Fort Mandan in the vicinity of the Hidatsa people.

Extremely well done museum with lots to see and many hands-on things for kids to try on. I learned information there that I didn't know, and I've read several books on Lewis and Clark. Well worth the time and very friendly staff..
Okie Doke — Google review
AMAZING! Had so fun on the tour, the tour guide through the rebuilt Fort Mandan; Grace, absolutely crushed it with information and quizzes.
The interpretive center has a great selection books and the info around the center was vast. I walked away learning so much more than I had previously known. 100% recommend the $8 for the pass.
Every employee loved the history of L&C and so much more. It was truly a pleasure to converse in conversation in history.
Don’t pass out on learning about Fort Mandan and the winter of 1804/05. There is so much more…

Reconstructed fort dating back to Lewis & Clark & now housing a state-of-the-art history attraction.
Excellent interpretive tour of a historic and very important site for the Lewis and Clark discovery of America tour of 1804 to 1806. This camp was the longest site they stayed at (nearly six months) on the entire trip. They befriended many leaders of local tribes. Traded with the native American people. Hunted and fished. This is a great place for families to take children. You can literally touch history. For Active Duty military this is a Blue Star museum site.
Chris Wenner — Google review
We paid for entry to the museum and got our wristbands for the fort. The guide was nice, but he didn't have any extra info when asked questions by our little group. Maybe they should go through their own museum and anticipate questions.
Fort is small. The entry visitor center is small but nice. Nice little covered area near for lunches, etc. Good to know what it was like before they started on their journey. The main interpretive center is bigger and had a lot more than it looks like.
David Linscott — Google review
Very interesting and informative! Our guide Eric was so personable and knowledgeable. I really liked the way he let us interact with him and even some of the artifacts.
Jane Herzog — Google review
For Lewis & Clark fans, this is a required stop. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and entertaining. The fort itself is quite rundown, but gives a good idea of the conditions the L&C group faced. There are many good examples of tools, weapons, and clothing from that period. Be sure to visit the nearby L&C Interpretive Center before going to the fort. It contains a great timeline of the expedition and many additional exhibits.
Tim Martin — Google review
We visited the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center and admission there includes admission to the fort. Our timing in mid afternoon was fortuitous. An Interpretive Guide was there, having just finished a tour group. He was great about letting us ask questions. So knowledgeable and personable! It's an easy place to visit and if you enjoy large outdoor sculptures, the 1400 pound metal sculpture of Seaman is wonderful.
Sue Berg — Google review
We visited Fort Mandan with our 8 and 10 year old daughters. Our guide was fantastic! He opened all of the rooms in the fort, then took out various artifacts and explained how the expedition would have used them. Touching is very encouraged, as everything is a replica. Nothing of the original fort survived the harsh North Dakota weather. The original Fort burned to the ground.
Using Lewis and Clark's diaries, the fort was rebuilt so that later generations can understand this part of their voyage.
Everyone we encountered at the Fort and the interpretive center were very knowledgeable, friendly, and eager to share their knowledge.
If you visit with kids, make sure they ask for the junior rangers program book. Our girls had a blast and earned their really cool badge.

Unique fort replica (@2 miles from Lewis & Clark Interpretive Crt and museum) with history of Lewis & Clark who wintered here from 1804-1805. The museum covers ND history, several local Indian tribes & Lewis and Clark explorers. No discounts but only $8 pp for museum & fort tours. Great gift shop. Park Rangers are very nice & helpful.
Rho M. — Google review
Impressive site to visit the history of Lewis and Clark with their expedition.
The Fort Mandan is a recreation of the original fort that was located a little more up river and now underwater or otherwise not accessible. This site definitely gives the impression of how the expedition lived. Each room of the fort is a particular topic for the tour guide to discuss and illustrate the life of expedition members.
The rooms were very well laid out with re-created artifacts that demonstrate life in the fort. My 8 year old thought this was the highlight of our vacation.
The tour guide was exciting, knowledgeable, and patient with questions. I believe there are several tours per day. We visited on Saturday (last tour?) with only one other party participating in the tour.
There are bathroom facilities that were open and perhaps more that was closed perhaps due to a slow day.
Adrian Nagle — Google review
Lovely fort with a wonderful ranger showing us around on a private tour and answering all of our questions we got.
Doreen Buschhoff — Google review
Very interesting piece of American history. The guides are very informative and don’t melt in 90+degree weather. Lol. You get to see how the fort was set up. In the museum area, there are copies of the maps that were made on the journey. With the tour and looking through the museum, it took about an hour. (This was in the extreme heat of summer) It is not a long walk from the museum to the fort. There are benches in the fort for those that need them. One price gets you in the Louis and Clark interpretive center as well as fort Mandan.
Really cool place to stop and visit. Excellent paced walking trails. Very neat 8 mile drive through the park and around the lake.
Doug Skramstad — Google review
Great 8 mile Auto Trail with beautiful views of the lake, islands, & birds. We went on the weekend while the visitors center was closed so we walked the trail behind the building. We saw several different species of birds, a couple adult deer, & a fawn hiding in the tall grass while walking the trail This was a beautiful, peaceful area. It's a great place for bird watching & photographing wildlife.
Angela Sneed — Google review
It was the most beautiful lake that I have ever seen in North Dakota.
Riley Brodie — Google review
I recently took my 40 students here on a field trip. This had the potential to be a showstopper of a hit... But despite calling ahead in advance, there were no guides or rangers to be found. We entered and visited the indoor center and looked at the exhibits waiting for someone. We finally talked to a human being and they said they had something set up for us in the meeting room. Sure enough there was an AMAZING activity: using plaster to cast footprints from silicon molds. But no adult to tell us the instructions. No directions, no instruction, just 40 styrofoam cups and 40 molds. With no background using plaster, I fumbled my way through experimenting to find the right consistency, students accidently poking holes in the cups, poor releasing molds, and a massive, MASSIVE mess.
The center was nice, informational, and interesting for my 8 year olds. The walk we took to decompress and recenter ourselves was a perfect length. But please, please, send a human to meet groups of people like that. Give us direction. Don't assume we know how to use the materials.

Love the scenic drive, especially when migratory birds are flying through.
Didn't get to see the visitor center, this was back during COVID, so it was understandable, def going back, might try to cycle there.

Great place to do some ice fishing and enjoy the great Refuge. Always the most beautiful
Justin Kossan — Google review
Blue Goose Day was awesome! On top of that, the place is genuinely amazing. The visitor center is very hands-on and accessible. There are Braille labels and signs, tactile maps, large print books, audio tours, and captioned videos. It is the only accessible museum I've seen since moving to North Dakota. Great job, Audubon!!!!
Tera Lynn Gray — Google review
I didn't get to spend much time in here but the facility looks great. It appeared to have a lot of interesting and interactive displays. Seems like it would be great for school field trips.
Best gluten free pizza I've had in a very long time. The seating needs updating but the place is a good stop.

Had a good time, bar food was good. Them not taking credit cards is unacceptable in 2022. It's either designed to get bigger tips beings u have to go get 20s from atm or their too cheap to pay the credit card fee.

Super nice place. Employees are all very sociable. Love going there! And will continue to go!💞
Did SkyFest a free event over Memorial Weekend and it was a blast. Drove around and the campgrounds and other areas of the park were outstanding.

Although the visitor center was not open when I visited, I was able to explore and learn about the park and surrounding area through the exhibits. Beautiful park☺️
Marie — Google review
Beautiful park and campground. Two marinas, swim beach, boat ramps, museum. The two sites we stayed on for a week were #129 and #135. Both are pull in. Picnic tables and fire rings on all sites. Huge sites. Lots of locals with boats and plenty of room for boats and vehicles. We had full hook ups, but there is a area with only electric and water but there is an RV dump area. Very quiet. There's a trolley that's free that comes around on Saturdays to go into town.
Terri Hatfield — Google review
Admission into the park is $7.00 and an annual pass is somewhere around $20.00. That pass does not just include annual admission into Fort Stevenson, it includes admission into EVERY state park in North Dakota!
Beautiful place to grill out, camp, hike, swim, boat or just fly a kite. Definitely worth the drive to Garrison! Also nice to see the wildlife!
Please be respectful and CLEAN UP YOUR TRASH! Nobody in the world makes enough money to clean up garbage that does not belong to them.
Thank you! Support your local state parks!!!

Always a great time. Well kept, well groomed, the playground was in perfect working condition. Comfort stations were clean and stocked with expected supplies. Bike trails are IMMACULATE! Always a great stay at Fort Stevenson.

Arriving late. We were on the road, didn’t make it as far as we had planned, needed a place to stop, short notice, called so many places no answer… the web site for the state park had a chat feature… we we started a chat, I have to admit I didn’t have great expectations, I’ve been absolutely blown away by the effort. We were able to get the info we needed in a timely manner, got a spot late. The park is awesome and we are so impressed, clean, quiet and welcoming, the site perfect, the grass neat, quiet and beautiful. You must see this place, right off the water it is a piece of paradise. The staff are the very best, this has just become our new favorite place to visit!

Nice park. Loads of good camping spots and hook ups. Marina rents boats, pontoons and paddle boats etc. Lots of fun. Swim area more small round pebbles than sand which is cool. But in last year or 2 has really not ben maintained like the rest of the park. Swimming area ropes gone and it's all grown up weeds. Diamond in the rough if they would just look after the swim area for families that like that sorta thing. Large park, lots of bike trails.

Great place to camp and walk around but make sure to put your food away or the seagulls that I ended up calling "Steve and his merry band of gulls" will swoop in a feast till their hearts content.

My husband and I went here to start off the 2021 ND Parks & Rec Hike and Adventure Challenges. The weather was lovely for January and the hike itself was nice and calming. We completed the Flicker and Northern Pine Loops. I'd say the hike was easy. The view was gorgeous from the interpretive trail! I recommend going here. We will come back during Summer.

You wouldn't even think you're in North Dakota while walking around here. Stunning place to visit with many places to hike and enjoy the lake from many different parts of the State Park. Bathrooms (Outhouses) were some of the cleanest ones we've seen in a state park! Keep up the lovely work maintaining this nice park!

We were blown away by the amazing staff, helpful rangers and how well the rental equipment and picnic shelters were maintained. We had a group of 30 people and it was one of the best days lake days I've ever had.

We went to the annual kite festival here. It's a 3 day event and is very interesting and fun. Nice view of the lake and a small museum on the grounds.
Local zoo housing several big cats, bears, bison, river otters & a variety of reptiles & birds.
It is a small zoo, but you can easily burn 2 hours looking at all the amazing animals and birds. The park was well kept and staff were friendly. The concessions stand had a nice little variety of drinks, snacks and food items. Ample shade in much of the park. I definitely recommend getting to the park early or later in the day to see the red pandas, sadly we missed them on our visit. Definitely family friendly and worth the visit.
Michael Miranda (Iridyon_Music) — Google review
Nice little zoo, pretty clean and being updated with additional things soon. Several of the animals were not out as its still to cold here. The ones that were out looked healthy and relatively happy. Not crowded at all...small gift shop, overall a pretty fun day outside. :)
Jay Bodam — Google review
Never disappoints! Lots of area to cover, make sure to stay hydrated and I recommend bringing sunblock. Animals are most likely not to be active on the hotter days. The train ride is a good way to see the zoo so you can decide where you want to walk to and spend more time in certain areas. The zoo has different memberships available that come with a wide variety of incentives. Definitely worth checking out especially if you have a family. They have a gift shop there loaded with awesomeness. There is so much more I'm not remembering to mention. No I was not paid for this review lol, just enjoy going to the zoo.

Such a cute little zoo. Very unique animals. My kiddos sure had a great time. I wish they had more wagons but seems they only had a few. Definitely would recommend this place. The prices weren’t bad at all.
KK1618 Buttercup! — Google review
Really well kept zoo. A wide variety of animals, way more varied than you would expect for the size/location. Animals generally seem happy and not stressed. The tiger enclosure in particular is cool. Staff are always really friendly, especially Jim who drives the train. Very reasonably priced entry, especially if you buy the annual pass. The carousel is only 25c a go. My toddlers absolutely love it here. You do have to enter and exit through the gift shop area, which can sometimes be annoying to bring strong willed kids through.

We love the Roosevelt Zoo! It was nice to see our new sloth, Helen, up close. Also, we loved the new picture taking opportunities near the butterfly tent!
Karen Anderson — Google review
If you happen to be in the Minot area, check this zoo out. It is absolutely beautiful and the habitats for the animals are well kept and thought out. There were plenty of staff throughout the zoo, which to me is a good sign. The children’s area is designed perfectly to encourage young children to learn and explore. There is a nice changing/ nursing area as well. I can’t wait to revisit this zoo, they clearly have a great plan, not only for the animals but the visitors also.
Cindy Mcgill — Google review
Fair admission prices and… ANIMALS!!!! Who doesn’t love seeing animals? Ok, so sometimes I have a hard time seeing some animals in captivity and not in “the wild”.. I do know that some places use the opportunity to help certain species/animals (ie: research, injuries, to avoid extinction, etc.), but whether or not this place does that, I do not know for sure (do your research if this is a concern for you.)
I do know that there were signs up for certain animals, from their doctors, explaining their ailments/conditions, if any.
I’ll be honest, I did not look into it further as we were passing through and I’m a sucker for any animal; I just wanted to squish them all and take them home. Apparently, that’s not allowed though.
The staff was knowledgeable. One lady stopped while we were admiring a.. ok, so I don’t remember the proper name for it.. it was a cross between a zebra and a horse but comes from the giraffe family.. that one (see pic). She told us where they come from and about their ability to suck their eyes into their head to avoid getting branches etc. in their eyes. This is something I wanted to see in person. That it didn’t happen. But what a weird piece of information I will carry with me forever, about an animal that I call Zeraffe, but only because the correct name still escapes me.
Penguins: adorable. Birds: beautiful. Monkeys: weird af but amazing. Giraffes: so cute I now want one of my own.
Highly recommend.. apparently there’s a water park and a kids section; we did not see those as we were 4 adults who would have stuck out like a sore thumb in those sections.
Also, they have a sloth. A SLOTH! Apparently, holding him is not allowed either. Yes, I did ask. A few times.

Our trip to Roosevelt Zoo was wonderful. The price was very reasonable ($25 for 1 adult, 1 senior, and 1 teenager.) The Zoo offers an aviary, tigers, a lion, bears, giraffes, bison, penguins, a petting zoo, and so many more! Strollers are available to rent for $2 and benches are available for those needing to rest throughout the zoo. Staff were very friendly and interacted with spectators while feeding the animals.
Star D — Google review
Love this Zoo, and they got in Amur leopards! This was a great zoo and all the animals seemed to have more than enough space and were happy! (The tortoises were having "Happy time" but that just shows how comfortable the animals were in their environments. I watched the youn male tiger attempt to murder his play ball in tje water for quite a while it was hilarious.
Dan Warila — Google review
None of the animals are too shy so it gives a great observation environment. I don't think any other zoo I've been to had animals who were all up front and social like the animals here. I watched the tigers and lions playing amongst themselves. You can tell these animals are happy here and it isn't too busy at all.
Michael Radici — Google review
My wife and I really enjoyed this zoo; especially the personal giraffe feeding which was only $5/person and you get to hand feed the giraffes lettuce.
The zoo itself isn't overly large and easy to walk yet had a nice selection of animals to enjoy. The female tiger had 3 very active and entertaining cubs. The male Tiger was sleeping above us on a catwalk and actually drooled on us when he woke up.
The staff are very nice and helpful. The animals look happy and healthy. The enclosures allow you get up and close with some of the animals.
Definitely will be going back the next time we come to Minot.

This is a really beautiful park with amazing architecture. It's a nice place to visit no matter what season it is. There are several water features located around the park that are very calming and there are beautiful flower displays during the Summer months.

This park was so beautiful and serene, even when it's super cold and gray outside! Tina was absolutely wonderful to our family when we went inside the Visitor's Center to check out what was in the Minot area and gift shop. She's spent SO much time speaking with us candidly. We are considering moving to the area and she shared personal experiences and recommendations based on us having a very young child and our interests. She was one of the most kind people we met during our week-long trip and she was so sweet to our son. She never rushed us and offered to take our photo with a really charming hand-carved troll bench.
Thanks so much for everything, Tina! You really made this park and experience so much more special and memorable for us!

What a beautiful park. I went to visit the Visitors Center and get info about ND parks and found this beautiful place.
The story of all icons, statues and homes is displayed so you can do a tour around the park or just walk through it and enjoy the view and maybe...some selfies.
The visitor center also has merchandise for sale and very knowledgeable and friendly staff.
Park is very clean and offers shade and sitting throughout the path. Very glad I stopped by.

I absolutely love this place. You need to visit this place in July when all the walkways are filled with flowers. Its a stunning park. Its great if you want to walk the paths enjoying the weather, or a place to have lunch on many of the tables scattered around, or just hang out in general. One of Minots best places to be.

A while back I visited this place for the first time and I'll say I was impressed with what they have available here for our folk. So much so I ended up giving them a bunch of money to use how they see fit. Anyone who has Nordic blood aught to visit at least once in their life.

Nice place. The main museum has a lot to offer. Nice collection. The hanger had some nice planes but not my favorite the Corsair. $8 entry each. Plenty of parking. Lots of walking. We didn't go close to the ones outside, definitely I nice place to go if you're in the area.

Medium size museum. Very Interesting collection. Hangar 2 has all operational planes, seven just flew to Oshkosh and back. Well worth the $10 admission

A must go to if you like military aircraft. My favorite is the Polar Pumpkin. While not military, I remember when it made its journey to both South and North poles. Most of the aircraft on display are kept in flying condition and, occasionally, are even flown. The Spitten Kittens home.

I had an absolutely wonderful time visiting this venue. Both the lady at the front desk reception area she was very knowledgeable about the museum as well as the gentleman who took me through to the other hangers of the museum.
I wish that I could remember their names because again it was a very good experience and I plan on going again.
Oh and by the way they have in the hanger for the aircraft restored they have aircraft in there that have been restored and they do fly them every now and then.

It was a really interesting place to go to. We had wanted to come up to this Air Museum for years, and now we finally did. I live in North Dakota, but I never went to the museum here until today. It was fun!

We were told all the planes are in actual flying condition! Which was super cool. Definitely worth the price!
Moose Mountain Provincial Park is a scenic nature reserve characterized by rolling hills and an expansive trail network. It is anchored by a picturesque lakeside stone chalet visitor center, which unfortunately has limited hours of operation. The park offers visitors the opportunity to take peaceful walks along the shoreline and winding paths while enjoying stunning views of the surrounding landscape. Despite its popularity, Moose Mountain Provincial Park remains pristine thanks to its well-maintained facilities and tranquil atmosphere.
This is my 4th time I’ve gone to kenosee/moose mountain, and each time this place amazes me more and more , and the staff are kind, friendly, and very helpful 💯

Lake side campsites are quite small and steep. Hard to level a camper, as well as the path down to the lake but beautiful once your set up. Not big enough to put out our awning, but well sheltered by trees. Perfect for a small group, definitely would go back.👍 Definitely a nice weekend getaway. site 203 fish Creek B

super fun provincial park! there's a sledding hill, disc golf course, water slides, horseback riding, walking trails, paddleboards, picnic huts and heaps more things to do! the only thing that's annoying is there's no public bathrooms (other than outhouses) and they don't usually let you use the hotel bathrooms. great place to spend the day tho!

This is our second time at moose mountain provincial park and it was just as nice as the first time. Being a weekday in September, it was quiet with just a few other people. That made it serene and lovely for a walk along the shoreline and down the path. The visitor centre was closed as it's only open Thursday to Sunday but we walked the grounds anyway. The facilities were spotless.

Sure a lovely peaceful area. The vegetation was so green and the water was clean with lots of birds around. Stayed at the Kenosee Inn and they were very accommodating with a fridge in the room, restaurant, lounge and access to BBQ and fire pit.
A short walk down the path is the Administration office and an artist colony where several artists work and sell their creations through the summer.
There is a beautiful golf course, hiking trails, a town site with other restaurant, lounges.
In the area we went to the Red Barn down the way on Sunday market day, the casino, and Cannington Manor which is a bit of a drive down some gravel roads but definately worth it to learn about some Saskatchewan History. Allison was a great guide and showed us how rope was made.
What a hidden gem in Southeast Saskatchewan. We will be back.

Easy checking process. Staff very friendly and informative. Free firewood.
Site was easy to access.
Seems like many people have “seasonal sites”. (Satellite dishes, lights up etc..)
Only stayed for one day, but hope we are in that area again as we would stay there.

Beautiful park, well kept, clean, friendly staff, easy check in process and free firewood! We only got to spend one night here on our way to BC but if we ever come back this way will book again! Sites are quite large (we stayed in loop A) It appeared that many people book to stay here seasonally with all of the satellite dishes, solar light set ups etc.

amazing arena! they always take really good care of it and keep it super clean and updated. the ice is perfect for any type of skating and the walking path is awesome too. isn't super easy to book it because the schedule is usually full for quite a while in advance, which is actually a good sign😏

Was here for the Canada Cup of Curling. Lots of good spots to sit and watch the game, plus many additional spots around the rink to do work on a laptop. Food options were pretty standard for an arena, and there are lots of viewing areas on the concourse area so if you’re unable to walk down stairs, you can still get a great view.

The Affinity Place rink is a nice place to go for games, as well as exercise on the large track. The concession food is fine, though very expensive for what you get. It's part of the leisure centre as well, so it's a quick walk for a swim and only a few steps away from the library. The open hours are good, but the staff tend to start cleaning the last couple hours which can be a little annoying if they start blocking areas off.

Somehow this place is more than a decade old, and looks like it opened this morning. It is in immaculate condition. Plenty of large dressing room, spacious concourses, and a truly breath taking view the ice the moment you walk in. It's hard to believe a city of just over 11k people has a rink and facility this amazing when so many team in the CHL in far larger centers play in such substandard facilities

The Historic Bell Barn is a remarkable place to visit, showcasing numerous relics from the early days of framing. The barn boasts a fascinating background story behind its distinctive design, which you must discover for yourself when you see it. This monument and museum provides insight into the unique history and farming techniques employed in the past. It exhibits various tools and offers demonstrations of their usage during those times. Additionally, the spacious second floor serves as an excellent venue for hosting events.

Since I am used to go skiing on big mountains in Austria, the rather small size of this resort was a bit of a surprise for me (hence the one empty star). Besides that I still had a great time.
• The staff was very friendly and helpful during my stay.
• The restaurant next to the ski lift is just good enough for a short lunch break or a cup of coffee.
• There are a few blue and black slopes as well as a beginner one at the bottom of the hill.

Overall, they are really nice, place are nice too
But they usually close for random days really killing me :(
They used to close Monday and Tuesday, and Tuesday is normally only day I can go. Was so happy when they begin to open Tuesday
But they usually close for some reason which I can understand will be more effective for them to close but as customers
You are all ready to finally can go snowboard for having some fun , but just find out they close again for the day, super sad.
But here is only place nearby Regina so I guess it’s kinda no choice.

We went there yesterday on The Family Day and place was so clean and well maintained. The crew members were indeed dedicated to work, cheerful, and so helpful. I had lost my iPhone in one of those snow tubes but they helped a lot to find my cellphone back. It was their closing time, they’d already stacked back those tubes in the containers. However, gentleman named Chris asked his senior Owen (Head of Outdoor Operations) for me, Owen allowed us to search for iPhone if after they were closed for the day. Chris was done too with his work shift but still helped us. I still feel like I haven’t thanked enough to those two gentlemen, Crish and Owen. Thank you🙏🏻

The Mission Ridge Winter Park is a winter wonderland for skiers and snowboarders. The park's beautiful natural surroundings and breathtaking views make for an unforgettable day on the mountain. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, always ready to help and ensure visitors have a safe and enjoyable time. There are also two beginner areas for families and a tube park for those who don't want to go skiing and snowboarding.

It was our first visit to Mission Ridge ever. I have to say the staff was amazing! They were all very friendly and quick to help.
However, after a few runs it can get repetitive and boring. Wish there was also more beginner friendly trails as there’s only the one bunny hill.
Biggest complaint and where I take stars off is rentals… I rented just a helmet and I pay the same as someone who is renting full complete gear. In my mind that just doesn’t make sense.
Erika Bazy — Google review
Nice and friendly people, I love how the slopes groomed in the morning, good fastfood in the restaurant for decent price.
But it's time to update rentals.... Today I got firewood instead of a pair of skis, rental guy gave me a ski with broken tip and said that it will work. Sorry, it won't.
If you have your own set, I'd say Mission Ridge is a perfect place to spend a day, and better to do this during workdays... however it's usually closed on Mondays and Tuesdays =( and overcrowded on Fridays. Up to 12 min in the line if it's really bad+ 4 min lift, 1 min down.
We have what we have Saskatchewans, better than nothing!

The first time I saw so many jumps on the greenway, and marked as easy at the beginning. You should see how many people are lying on this way. The most ridiculous thing is that they said that the logo appeared only when it was close to slope. Such a big security risk. Extremely bad experience.

The Saskatchewan Science Centre, located in Wascana Centre, was established in 1989 within a former power plant. As a nonprofit organization, this science museum provides visitors with the opportunity to engage in interactive exhibits that are continuously updated. In addition to daily programming and stage shows, the Kramer IMAX Theatre offers large-format 3D films that can be enjoyed by all.
Lots of activities for younger children to teenagers, and a decent playground outside. Count on at least three to four hours if you want to visit all areas and exhibits. Because of COVID restrictions they were only allowing 2-hour time slots, but they did allow us to come for part of an extra slot because their bookings were only about half full.

Saskatchewan science Centre is a wonderful place for kids, there are many science activities for kids. They can do practical by their own. Play area is also there for kids below 12 years of age. There is I max theatre for all the participants. Tickets are of reasonable price if you consider the fun. Neat and clean place. Parking facility is also available. Food court facility is also there. It is full fun for kids and parents.

I specifically waited to take my kids here until the mask mandate was over. We arrived yesterday only to find out that the Science Centre has decided to still mandate masks. Not only are they choosing to still mandate something that government ended, their staff is extremely rude about it. I asked the man working at the ticket till why we had to wear a mask and he replied “you have to wear a mask to visit a cancer ward you can wear one here” Since when does a social activity compare to a hospital!? My kids are 2, 4 & 6. We had security remind my children multiple times to properly adjust their masks.
Side note: the joy lab is closed, you have to arrive within a 1 hour time slot, and you can’t hear staff presentations because they’re so muffled by a mask.
We won’t be returning. I’ll gladly drive my kids to the science centre in Calgary.
Also educate your staff.

I'm not sure how to rate my experience, as I visited as an adult - It's 100% geared towards small children (10 or younger), but I did want to see the interior as the building was a decommissioned hydro plant and I wanted to visit some of the historic structures in Regina.
If I had children in the city though, I would certainly bring them here. Variety of educational hands-on exhibits, very playground-like as another commenter remarked, and I liked the small "biozone" room with live animals (snakes, geckos, etc).
Janice Chau — Google review
A very lovely, nice, and innovative place to visit with the entire family. The Imax 3D cinema space show and the various science innovations on exhibitions are really nice. The ticketing and check-in process was very smooth and seamless.

During this covid-era, summer 2021, they are limiting you to 75 minutes in the science center.
Honestly, it was underwhelming. Dated exhibits that were only mildly interactive at best. The hockey area and Kevin(I think that was his name) who demonstrated on how computer programming works, were easily the highlights of the day.
The joy lab is mostly good for photo opportunities and the Lego exhibit is a bunch of tall towers made from Lego that you can't touch with buckets of Lego on the tables.
For a family of 4, cost us around $75. That included the Imax presentation, Into Nature's Wild. It was great but only lasted 30 minutes.
All in all not an awful way to spend the day, but keep your expectations low and you won't be disappointed.

Making mini stop motion movies was fun.
Even the bathrooms were cool.
A few things were not working, which was a bit of a bummer at times.. but overall it was good!

Definitely needs some updating. Way too many exhibits didn't work. There seemed like less for our almost 8 year old granddaughter to do and see from when we took her dad when he was a kid. We went on a Friday afternoon and it wasn't busy at all. It cost too much in my opinion. $45.51 for 2 adults and a child. It didn't take her that long go through and see everything. There was a couple things we could do with her but not really that interesting to probably anyone over 10. I can't see us ever returning.

We love the science center! As a family of 6 (with kids ranging from 3-10) it's hard to find things to do that are both affordable and fun for all the kids. The science center definitely ticks all the boxes! It's only $100 for the year for my family (which means we only have to go twice for it to more than pay for itself) My kids love the science shows (especially the space one we recently saw!), The bubbles are always a hit and they love creating their own stories with the stop motion machines! They could spend hours checking out the snakes, turtles and other creatures, they love the mission to Mars video games and the pulley chairs. No matter how many times we go, it is always hours of fun!

Expensive to enter, almost nothing works, pieces missing, exhibits don’t have much educational or entertainment potential for any age group. It was grubby. It was to be revamped in the past two years, I guess that was for the lobby and bathrooms so far..the grandsons were bored.

This is a great place for kids to learn basic science, as well as some advanced science. However, on my visit this summer (July 2019), about 15% of items where out-of-order/not-fully-functional, either broken, or missing pieces.
If you're planning to go there, make sure to check their opening hours before visiting the place. They also have some shows through the day, so check the schedule of the shows as well. Also, be prepared to stay long; we spend 5.5 hours in the place the first time we went there! In July and August 2019, they have a exhibit called JoyLab! Don't miss it, it's gorgeous, and would definitely cheer you up!

Stone Hall Castle is a hotel that resembles a medieval castle and offers luxurious suites with 4-poster beds. It features an indoor pool and a cinema to enhance guests' experience. The owner has been working on other parts of the property, making it even more impressive than before. Visitors should not miss the chance to tour this breathtaking place and be respectful while enjoying its beauty. The owner's hospitality is noteworthy as he welcomes strangers into his house with humility. Stone Hall Castle is definitely worth checking out!
Super interesting place with so much history hidden behind the frames and walls. Oh my gosh can't tell how much fun we had during the tour with our guide. Such a gem persona to interact with while getting to know the history of Regina the queen city. The rooms were decorated to the times beautifully. You can see that a lot of hard work and passion went into this Castle and its upkeeping. My son (11yrs) was thrilled and definitely enjoyed himself on this tour. Its honestly like nothing we have seen before. 10/10 definitely recommend!

The place is not a historic tourist site, it’s just a privately owned property designed to imitate historic castles with tour provided by the home owner.
You might end up being the only one on the tour as there’s not much traffic to it, also who sets up a tour at 8.30pm in a poorly lit home.
He won’t pick your calls even though his answering machine message says to call or text him.
Paid but did not receive service, he did not have the courtesy to call back after multiple attempts to reach him..

The owner Jason was great. He was extremely knowledgeable with respect to the history of the property, and all of the amazing artifacts within the estate. His passion for the property and the history behind it all shone through for the duration of the tour. I did tour in the evening and I'd highly recommend you do the same. I have a background in real estate and the estate blew me away. With every room we entered, I found myself more in awe at the craftsmanship that went into the design and construction of the building. Jason's attention to detail with everything from the art, to the furniture, to the homemade beeswax candles, took the entire experience to next level. Hands down the best tourist attraction I had in Regina, I absolutely recommend you visit Stone Hall Castle!

The owner/tour guide Jason was very friendly and knowledgeable. It is rare that someone has such a wealth of information surrounding the medieval / early modern age in Europe. Not only that, but he was PASSIONATE about history and engaged the group. The furniture in this castle is all authentic and was sourced from Europe by Jason.
As an ex teacher/history major and son of an antique dealer, I was very impressed with the authenticity of the pieces in this castle.
Hands down it was the best tourist experience that my girlfriend and I had in Regina. Well worth $50 a ticket.
***The people complaining here and giving 1 star reviews did not show up on time for the tour. Jason literally opened the doors exactly on time. There was 15 minutes of intros about the castle in the front hallway. I don't know how small business operators like Jason would be able to run a business if everyone just showed up when they wanted to. Not only that, but it is disruptful to the group at large to have people stroll in whenever they want. 5/5 for me and will be back.

The tour is okay. If you're really into the history of medieval times with kings, queens, traditions, etc.. Then you'll love this tour, but there isn't too much said about the actual history of the castle itself, the tour guide talks about it in the beginning and that's about it.
As for safety, they should list much more on the website, TripAdvisor, or even when you're buying tickets. The evening tour is practically pitch black, with few candles to light the path, not only does this make it difficult to see the paintings and such being talked about, it's dangerous to see. If I had known it would have been so dark, I wouldn't have brought my grandmother who can't see well in dim lighting.
Same goes for stairs, there's multiple staircases, some being sloped at the top and being very small steps or a skinny staircase altogether which was difficult to walk on for my grandmother.
The arches of doorways should also be included as they are quite small, both horizontally and vertically. If you're someone who weighs a bit more, you wouldn't be able to see half the tour due to the design of stairways and the arches to the rooms shown. These are simply things to be of note when booking the tour.

DO NOT STAY here for the current price and never if you’re a solo female traveler.
To begin with the good, the place itself is beautiful. I enjoyed the decor which was very tastefully antique while still being comfortable. There are good amenities like oven (no microwave which was a bit sad), fully stocked fridges, washer dryer. Overall I’d say a higher-end airbnb but not at all what I expected for 700$! I was on a cross country road trip and even the Fairmont hotels were not as expensive. I should have done my due diligence but I saw it in a reputed tourist article last minute and thought I’d splurge. I expected a luxury hotel experience at that price. Instead, I was welcomed by the owner, who, once I entered, locked the door, the only exit, behind me. As a female solo traveler, I found that very disturbing. I was also informed that I couldn’t leave the premises without him opening and closing the door for me. Another very big red flag. I was freaked out so I left for a walk soon after, even though I had planned to enjoy the room itself. I researched then and couldn’t find even one review of a stay there. Not at all what I wanted when I spent 700$!
To add insult to injury, when I’m at dinner outside, he calls me and starts blabbering about how he has a school tour the next morning before I check out and the room I’m staying in is on the tour and how he took my booking without checking the calendar. I offered to check out early but I’d expect him to give some refund or something for the inconvenience. He then says that no, how about I just cleanup a bit and then leave. He’s basically asking a 700$ paying customer to do housekeeping for him because he made a mistake. It was ridiculous!
I stayed there on June 5 but didn’t post a review earlier because I didn’t want to write it when angry. But turns out I’m still angry but can kinda laugh at it now. Anyway, if he was charging ~200$, it’d probably be worth it but I’d just recommend to just avoid staying here.

I’m currently visiting Regina for one night and I am so glad I took the time to go on a tour. The castle, the decor, and the tour were all amazing. I truly felt like a learned a lot about Regina, the Darke family, antique furniture, and history! A must see location for any history lover!

Nice step back into time. A little pricey, but guide was the owner, and really knew his stuff. Really enjoyed the little history on common sayings still used today, and where they came from! Would have liked a little more of the history of the house, but enjoyed seeing how people lived in the 16th century!

The Royal Saskatchewan Museum, founded in 1906, features exhibits that showcase Canadian culture and natural history. Visitors can explore the Life Sciences Gallery to learn about the province's flora and fauna or delve into the First Nations Gallery to discover artifacts from local indigenous groups. The museum provides insight into Saskatchewan's geography and people through its galleries on earth and life sciences as well as indigenous history. Prairie dioramas depict the native flora, fauna, and cultures that adapted to survive in this harsh environment.
Basically, you can enter for free. after you look around the museum, you will feel that it is worth donating for this museum.

I love going to museum, and this one let you contribute as much you would like to! It ranges from prehistoric animals (dinosaurs, mammoths to name a few) to the native people of Canada and the different languages and cultures that happened throughout the years, to the awareness of environmental impact to our globe! Very interesting and informative

Went to visit family in Regina. My uncle suggested the museum was really nice. Was not at all disappointed. Great display of T-rex and many smaller displays of dinosaurs. The wildlife displays were excellent, and the landscapes and wall paintings brought everything to life. Was thoroughly impressed and would recommend others to go and see what it has to offer.

We had a great time at the museum! We lived here for a long time and I'm ashamed to say that it's the first time we visited it. Our friends from Winnipeg are in town for the week and we were looking for something fun to do (they have an 11 year old son). He really enjoyed the museum and we took a lot of pictures. The displays are amazing and they are really lifelike! Scotty the T. Rex is beyond impressive! The employee at the reception was really nice and helpful. We really recommend it to everyone!

World's largest T-Rex is there to welcome you to the mini Jurassic park 🤩, the smallest fossil is just beside her if you'd like a closer look 🧐. Got a ton of animal figures 🦬, and detailed introduction to the Canadian culture, the treaties, the lifestyle of the native people, everything displayed in a very beautiful way. Cheers to the team who brought the project to life and to the ones who keep it running flawlessly🥂. Must visit if you are in Regina 🔥

I enjoy visiting museums, and this one allows as much participation as you'd like.
It covers everything from extinct creatures (such dinosaurs and mammoths, to mention a few) to the indigenous Canadians and the various languages and cultures that developed over time, to the knowledge of the effects of the environment on our planet!
Very instructive and intriguing

I went with my family to this museum in July 2023 and was fantastic. From pre-historic dinosaurs to wildlife, and a great source of culture and history about indigenous population. I think this is one of the best museums I had ever visited in my entire life.

Great place to visit for newcomers, visitors or parents with kids. There are many kinks of dino fossils to discover. You can learn about first nation and their culture here too. My kids love this place and we will visit again for sure.

This is a beautiful museum with lots of information and some wonderful displays. Of course, there is Scotty, the world's largest T-Rex skeleton. But there is also a wealth of information... Although not very big, but lot of interesting information there, you should be able to learn something there. Highly recommend to anyone who visits, if you are in Regina .

Kids will not be bored for sure, each level and section will be entertaining and educating them at the same time.
Don’t miss out the RAWR at the auditorium-left side hallway.
Will be back here soon.
Kudos to the management and staff of RSM, you guys rock!

Interesting museum. Lots and lots of entertwining rooms, each with loads of information and things to see.
Really cool water feature. Looks like clear gelatin the water animals are in. Another cool display was the snake's perception of heat signature, even long after you left sitting on the bench..
Good place to visit for all. Admission by donation! Beautiful indigenous display, although some could be updated to reflect some current Treaty information as well, would be beneficial.
Overall, it was a good place to spend a couple of hours. Across from a nice park, so bring a picnic lunch.

It was wonderful. We liked it so much each and every thing there in the museum from the history of different exhibits to indigenous civilisation. All patriots were so mesmerising that they gave true pictures of those era. Our baby loved the dino and different activities in the room. Casino Regina is a remarkable gambling venue that occupies a former train station in Regina. The casino boasts an impressive layout and offers a vast array of entertainment options, including slot machines, gaming tables, poker rooms, roulette wheels, and more. The overall atmosphere is fantastic with classic architecture that has preserved the original train station decor. Visitors also enjoy seeing the train outside the casino as it adds to the fun element of the place.
Classic casino, nice people. Enough to do even if your not there to gamble. There’s 3 restaurants at the location, one of them have sites and tables inside the train. We had wonderful time with friends there! Big free parking lot outside as well!

Wonderful service and foor that tantalizes your taste buds. Had the Greek turkey pita sandwich with the lemon turkey soup ... excellent! And finally, not that it's anything to do with the restuarant, but the washrooms were not only spotless, but the toilet tissue dispenser was perfect height, AND the hook on backside of the stall door was middle of the door and low down, perfect to hang purse withoit fear of theft over the door (and no putting on floor or clutching it as hook on door was too high)... someone put alot of thought into these detail! Thank you!

I personally could not justify the price of gambling but as a tourist I did the walk through and donated $10 in 17 spins on a VLT. I must admit this is the quietest casino I have ever been in. Very clean and friendly staff. There is a Restaurant at one end and earth snack bar at the other end. A couple of locals mentioned that the food in the restaurant was very good.

It is one of the few attractions that the city has, from which a large number of people converge trying to change the atmosphere of the city. You can find the best wings and fries in town. But be careful because the rules of the game may leave you little margin. Be cautious. The employees are great when it comes to customer service. If you come to the city do not stop going.

The video poker paytable at this casino is ABSOLUTELY BRUTAL at 6 credits for a full house, 5 credits for a flush! This is among the worst paytables that you will ever find at any casino, anywhere. It's very strange since Casino Moose Jaw, which is owned by the exact same company, has a good paytable at 9 credits for a full house, 5 credits for a flush! It makes me wonder if all the rest of the slot machines at Casino Regina are set to a very high house edge (you can often infer how high the house edge is for slots by looking at the casino's video poker paytable). Anyway, just some food for thought. If you're not so concerned about slot payback % and are just looking to have some fun and eat some good food, it's a nice casino. One more complaint: I parked in the parkade and tried to plug in my car, but power must be shut off to them because the plug ins didn't provide any power.

Casino Regina is housed in the Union Railway Station building, built in the year 1912 in the Classical Revival style. It has been used as an important hub for passenger transportation until 1994, when it was sold to a gaming company, which established the casino here.
Old engine and train attraction has been retained for visitors. Casino has many slots & gaming tables, music, and live shows. Food and drinks are served by restaurants. One must know the rules of the game and have sufficient experience before gambling. Ample parking available in front, which used to be Stanley Park.

Fun and clean.... Very helpful staff. I asked an employee who was kind of busy to point me in the direction of the Keno machines. She walked me all the way across the casino where they were moved to. We engaged in conversation the whole walk over. I didn't win but that encounter really seemed to soften the blow.

My wife and I would not recommend this place….. due to failure on the management side. First, I tried to reach out to the Casino with questions I needed answered,…. No one answered or replied. Second, when I asked when AT the Casino, the Casino and I agreed to staying till a certain time then we had to leave due to my large vehicle. So we went to the restaurant and started eating lunch,….. shortly 20 mins later we were approached by the front desk personnel while we were still eating and was told that we can not stay PERIOD! So my wife lost her appetite and she asked for a doggy bag! Then we left!
That was very unprofessional way to deal with customers,…. The Casino should have let me stay till the agreed time and then not to come here again with my large vehicle. The Casino should have told me BEFORE I went to eat, so I could have saved my dollars and spend my money elsewhere! Not where I am not accepted!! The Casino did not want to compromise to work out a good for ALL deal.

The RCMP Heritage Centre is a museum that showcases the history of Canada's national police force, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. This museum houses exhibits, multimedia presentations, and programs that highlight the important role that Mounties have played in shaping Canadian identity and protecting its citizens since 1873. Located near the historic RCMP Depot Division where all Mounties are trained, visitors can learn about this iconic national police force through interactive games, artifacts, and fascinating stories.
Excellent museum. The best place to experience RCMP’s history, its progression, and improvement over time. It is a well-designed building with many displays and with a place where an introduction video is shown to guests about how it trains candidates, what to expect and how those candidates become valuable, dedicated and professional people. There are also stimulant police officer cars to make the visitors feel like they have real driving experience in those cars while testing their driving skills!!! The only thing I wished was that I had more time to read each display's descriptions, but overall it was a fulfilling time and a fantastic experience. I really recommend visiting it if you are into learning more about one of Canada’s security forces.

We arrive minutes before it opened and we had an hour for a self guided tour which meant we could read about 1/2 of the interpretive signs. We might have been able to read more, but we photographed a lot of displays and coveted the lovely classic car. There was a LOT to take in and as I mentioned we spent a good deal of time taking photos of details and things we might need as a reference once we’re back at the office. It was disappointing that the water fountains appeared to not be working properly and also the fingerprint scanner didn’t seem to register the presence of my fingertip.

Both simulators were broken.
Three of the videos didn't work.
So it reduced the amount of things to do in the museum.
However, it was a rainy Labour Day Monday and it was one of few things open.
For $10 entry and how the museum is on the smaller side and about a ninety minute walk or $20 ride from most hotels it's not a must-see attraction when you compare it to other museums.
There are some fun stories here.
I was mildly disappointed because I wanted to try the unaired Fast Forward from episode five of season one of Amazing Race Canada.
It's still worth checking out, but I wouldn't go out of my way.

We had a few groups that were just so loud I couldn't fully enjoy it or hear myself think. There was a scavenger hunt and kids just zooming all over the place disregarding personal space. There was a woman just having a business conversation on her phone the whole time I was there, passing around and just yelling in her phone. SERIOUSLY, couldn't do this outside? We had an hour left before heading off to Saskatoon, and this really left a bad last impression for Regina.
I am usually very patient and tolerable but that really activated my almonds. I came to learn about the RCMP, not hear why Allen didn't want to pitch in the deposit for a new lease in town.
When I could enjoy some space on my own, yes the exhibits really take you in. Lots to read and learn, many items to marvel at.
Was lucky enough to meet Indi who unfortunately was deemed too shy for RCMP dog school. She was very adorable.

It’s mainly a lot of reading about about the history of the RCMP. Nicely laid out and interesting. Kids under 12 will be bored.
45mins - 1 hour will be sufficient time to see everything
There needs to be more of an effort to describe the indigenous relationship with the RCMP from the perspective of the indigenous peoples of Canada - Such as the RCMP’s role in the residential schools
We can’t move forward if the mistakes and horrors of the past are not even acknowledged, especially in formal settings

This was a highlight of our visit to Regina. The museum building itself was modern and the exhibits were up to date. We only experienced the museum as we had 2 hours which was just enough time. The exhibit choices were well-done and the artifacts were plentiful and amazing. If you have some time, definitely stop by to catch up on the 150+ year history of the RCMP.

The RCMP Heritage Centre in Regina is a captivating tribute to the iconic Royal Canadian Mounted Police. This immersive experience takes visitors on a journey through the rich history and proud traditions of the RCMP. The museum showcases a remarkable collection of artifacts, exhibits, and interactive displays that bring to life the fascinating stories of the Mounties.
The well-curated exhibits showcase the evolution of the RCMP, highlighting their role in shaping Canada's history and maintaining law and order. The museum does an excellent job of presenting both the historical context and the modern-day responsibilities of the RCMP, offering a comprehensive understanding of their impact on Canadian society.
Visitors have the opportunity to explore various aspects of RCMP training, including an authentic RCMP Depot experience, where you can test your skills in the training simulator and gain a deeper appreciation for the rigorous training process. The museum also features a memorial wall paying tribute to fallen officers, creating a poignant reminder of the sacrifices made in the line of duty.
The interactive displays engage visitors of all ages, making it a great educational experience for families. Children can try on Mountie uniforms, hop into a police car, and participate in hands-on activities that offer a glimpse into the life of an RCMP officer.
Whether you have a personal connection to the RCMP or simply have an interest in Canadian history, this museum is a must-visit destination in Regina. It leaves you with a deep appreciation for the dedication, professionalism, and service of the RCMP, and a sense of pride in their enduring legacy.

Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) Heritage Centre, Regina is a museum displaying the history, adventures, medals, uniforms, various other displays/ exhibits/ artefact of Police. Housed in a beautiful building, it traces the history since its formation in 1873. The theatre experience is amazing. The simulator driving area is the centre of attraction for children. The movie on training of RCMP is also informative. One enjoys moving around.
See problem in audio of the 3D Horse Exhibit.Being a matter of national heritage, its history needs to be introduced to Canadian public at large, and the entry should be free or highly subsidised. At the moment, it is not so. Gifts are also expensive at the shop. Nevertheless, it's a nice place; it's worth seeing...

We recently drove to Regina just to experience the RCMP Heritage Museum, Depot and Pillars of the Force. It did not disappoint.
We walked in right away and were greeted by Good Mornings! from the hosts there. So much to see and learn, it was a little overwhelming to take it all in. Everything was well displayed, titled and organized as we went through the varied exhibits.
I enjoyed the video presentation, I even got to meet Indi, the canine ambassador! I wandered quietly and read the names of veterans, past and present, displayed upon the pillars and walkway. It was poignant, serene and tastefully done.
A side note and an commodation for one of your host veterans, Bill ( I never got his last name, my apologies) On the day of our departure from Vancouver, I was notified that the Sgt major's parade was unavailable on the one and only day we had to go to Depot. I was very disappointed, but these things happen. I had resigned myself to this as I toured the museum, this is where Bill came in and made my day. Upon talking to my husband and hearing of my disappointment, he reached out and pulled a string or two, getting us the last two seats on the sold out trolley around Depot! Amazing! While I did thank Bill personally, this gentleman has some well deserved Kudos for being such a great ambassador for the RCMP.
The heritage museum, all its people and experiences is the jewel in the crown for this avid RCMP fan. Thank you so much, I will return again, if I ever get the chance.

Think twice before making this 200km round trip from Regina. Many years ago you could walk around the site and actually step inside a kiln. Now you have to stand outside a wire fence and read posters about it. The interpretive Centre video was excellent, the cafe was very smart and staff were extremely pleasant.
Parks Canada/ Sask Parks and Recreation seem to think that a fancy brass plaque and nice cafe is a great way to honour this National Historic site.... they are wrong.
We visited on Saturday of the Labour Day weekend and there were about 12 other visitors, all were locals using the lovely cafe....
The once operational part of the brickworks is obviously unsafe (hence the fence around it) but the Interpretive Centre/cafe is in excellent shape so the least they could do is make the upstairs into a small museum with some artifacts.
Congrats to the staff for making us feel very welcome

A pretty interesting place to see for only $10. Hard to believe this operated until 1989. If you are hiker then there is a 3 to 5 km trail. The trail provides a great over look of the area. The trail has interesting formations (bad lands / dirt hills). The trail is a loop but the loop is not well marked. There is a nice church in Claybank itself. I assume it was made out of brick produced here. Avonlea is only 15 minutes to the East. if you combine this with a trip to the Avonlea museum and Avonlea Bad Lands then you can easily make a day of it. You must book the tour of the Avonlea bad lands ahead of time.

Every year since we heard about this place we’ve been going out there. It always fun and if you go out a day when nobody else is there you get to really take the time to enjoy your self. If you do go on a day where they have an event you can’t to see the whole place alive and it can be really cool. The food out there is amazing as it’s all handmade and not overly priced. The museum in the main building is a great source of information and I even found out that a building I’m in charge of has a portion of its brick from clay bank. If you don’t mind the drive I definitely recommend heading out there to see what it was like and enjoy yourself.

A pretty neat historic site that makes you feel like you stepped back in time. It is a bit out of the way, but if you are in the area I would suggest a visit. It is hard to believe that the plant operated in its current state until 1989 as the majority of the facility is original from 1914.
It is considered a national historic site, but it appears to have a pretty low budget and I would compare more to a local museum. The site is explored via a self guided tour reading information signs at key locations after checking in at the bunkhouse to pay admission. Either before or after your tour you can stop in at the bunkhouse for homemade Saskatoon berry pie served with ice cream!
The hours of operation are 10am to 4pm daily in July and August. There is an annual heritage day on the last Sunday of June where the plant is operated and you can see how the bricks were made. I have not attended the heritage day, but plan to in a future year.
Included with your admission is access to go hiking in the canyon and clay pits that are located adjacent the brick plant.

I was in your distillery today.
I was interested in a purchase but left empty handed.
You had about 7 people in and you had a fellow telling you about the pickle vodka.
I was behind which is fine. Behind you ,you had product on shelves basically in the dark.
I was trying to view them but unsuccessful. You would have had a sale if I could see what was there.
Your spices are 3times the amount of a grocery store. $15.00 steep. Lowered price and you would have had a sale.perhaps another clerk could take product down and purchase could be made while you deal with customers which in business is important for sure. I want you to be successful but some prices have to come down. My 39 years in customer service has just given you a thought for future consideration.
I will not return until. Carol

Legitimately the only negative thing I can think to say about Last Mountain is that they're not actually IN Regina, so I have to drive a ways to get there... That said, their spirits (everyone should try Granny's Dry Gin) are incredible and well worth the drive; plus their staff is very helpful! Unfortunately I haven't been there for more than just shopping; so I can't speak to the distillery tours though.

This museum offers prairie-life exhibits & a village styled like an early-1900s farming town.
When you saw and rode on these big guys, it felt that you might be in that great era. Even if every one of them is likely ugly and bulky in a modern view, people continually adjust and iterate their technology to make progress. They are just like the young age of the Industrial Revolution. Human society never arrived at today's development level without these old buddies. Thank you, old friends.

It gives the impression that they will take any buildings or artifacts without any plan about conservation. Although an impressive collection I am concerned that most of it, especially the buildings, will deteriorate quickly. Most of the artifacts are piled together without any consideration to time frames, and with little information posted. It gives the impression of a private collection that others are allowed to walk through.

Wonderful! Great way to spend an afternoon. There is so much to see. So much history! Antique cars, trucks, tractors, houses, businesses, wooden boardwalks, artifacts, demonstrations, and the ship!

If I could give Sukanen another 5 stars I would. Yesterday was the first time I visited and I was in my glory. I absolutely love old cars and tractors!! I loved the parade of antique cars. Brought back memories of going to car shows with my dad. I was glued to my seat watching the antique tractors in the tractor pull. It was awesome to step back in time to a simpler time and pretend to be there with everyone. I am looking forward to coming for a long time to come. Thank you for putting on such an awesome display of history. The volunteers deserve a huge hand for putting on such a disply
The Tunnels of Moose Jaw is a significant tourist attraction that features an extensive tunnel system with a rich history. Constructed in 1908, the tunnels were used by Chinese immigrants and played a role in Prohibition. Today, visitors can take guided tours to learn about the difficulties and discrimination faced by Chinese workers during their journey to Canada for better fortunes. The tunnels also have connections to Al Capone and his bootlegging operations during the 1920s.
Three tours available, highly recommend. Albeit, I wished the Capon tour had more historical information rather than just the "show". The ticket place has impressive architecture!

This was a super fun experience as well as very informative. My heart goes out to the actors who work in the tunnels. I hope they get proper breaks. Everyone does a superb job, and is well rehearsed. The antiques are also very real and altogether you do get a feeling of being immersed in a chapter of Al Capone's story.

We had a wonderful time. We decided to bring our exchange student from France to experience the tunnels and it was so fun. I’ve lived in Moose Jaw my entire life and have just now had this experience. I heard there were more jump scares and running from gangsters in the early years when my son went with school. That would have been fun too! 😊

Great! Booked the package of three tours over three days... excellent value. The guides are in character and discuss historical happenings (somewhat fictionalized) and real world issues related to Canada's history. The guides make the experience really fun with their role playing...and a lot of effort has been put into the infrastructure (tunnels have been made safe, props and furniture are VERY detailed and realistic.) So intersting and fun!

Super cool experience. The actors were amazing and interactive. The staff was very friendly. I was unable to attend Bunker 24 due to less time. If you are planning to do more than one tour then I suggest to visit the place during noon. Overall, great experience. Highly recommend to visit if you are in Moose Jaw.

We were on the B24 & PTF combo and it was such a fun, expository and amazing tour. The actors did a great job weaving us into the stories which made the stories more relatable and believable. The B24 had a startrek vibe and got the kids so engrossed. The PTF tour is such an emotive one.
The costumes, the props, everything was on point! I can definitely see why pictures/videos of the Tunnels aren't allowed... it will be a spoiler alert for people who are yet to visit. I encourage you to visit if you haven't!
Pictures attached to this review aren't of the Tunnels.

The tunnels a moose charw is definitely something to add to your bucket list especially if you know anything about Al Capone and prohibition and liquor running in Canada United States this is fantastic the original tunnels is a good tour it’s kind of a show with actors in it it is really an interesting thing and a part of history and well done clean and worth the money you spend,,, We were on a band trip and brought the kids obviously had no idea who Al Capon was and they were amazed and thought it was fantastic,, I myself have been to the tunnels a number of times in the past and really enjoyed this visit just as much as the others and I believe they added to it,,, So for all those reasons I give them a five star rating and would definitely bring family kids and friends here again to visit a real part of history,,

Did the newest tunnel tour, Bunker 24. Was a great tour! Very well developed space with so many interesting details. There was not enough time to take in all the details in the rooms. The video portions were a wonderful guide to the atmosphere and not too long. We brought a 5 yo with us and he was also thoroughly entertained. Waylon was a great guy! Enthusiatic and new script perfectly!

Amazing tour. Did the a Al Capone tour and Gus (Calvin) was a phenomenal actor. Great props and set up. The secret entrances are so cool. WILL COME BACK thank you Calvin

The actors, setting, and environment were fantastic and the experience pretty unique.
I wasn’t fully comfortable with the number of people and space (there was a huge group of teenagers, which made it impossible to keep safe distance in times of COVID), but I would definitely recommend this to everyone.

We participated in the Passage to Fortune tour, which was exceptional!! Very informative yet sobering, considering the hardships endured by Chinese people coming to Canada...Not our finest moment...
Our guide, Riley, was wonderfully knowledgeable and entertaining!! Very well-spoken and interesting, playing more than one role...He made the tour fantastic!! Thanks buddy!!

Had a lot of fun on the Chicago Connection tour. The cast members were all great. I particularly enjoyed the actor who played Gus. Calvin made it very entertaining for everyone. I enjoyed the small group we had of about 10 people. It allowed us to all get a chance to interact with the cast.

We did the triple tours. The Capone one was the best, but the Bunker 24 was cool to! The story of the Chinese immigrants made us feel so sad for the conditions they endured! All were done well and very entertaining. Highly recommend it!

We did the Chicago Tour. Fantastic hosts who are in full period costume and swagger 🤓🤣, secret passages, hidden doorways, period specific furniture and props. Unexpectedly brilliant 😍😎😁👏👏👏👏👏 (we were not allowed to take photos during the tour so you will just have to believe me that it's worth doing 😊🎉🎉)

The Capone tunnels were a blast as I remember from years ago!!! The actors portraying people from the past were excellent and entertaining!!! The man that played Gus on Saturday afternoon at 1:30 was fantastic, I could almost believe he was him!! He made it so much fun!!! Now the passage to fortune was a different vibe altogether…it was our first time going through it….absolutely broke my heart what the Chinese had to endure to try and make a better life for their families 💔 The tour guide at 3:15 on Saturday had every detail committed to memory, blew my mind how informative she was about the detailed history of how their lives unfolded in the laundry and the hardships they faced every day for so many years! Incredible acting on her part, she went in and out of character so professionally, I could have believed she was who she had to portray!!! All in all both tours were of the highest excellence and I would definitely recommend if you are stopping in moosejaw, a must see!!! Can’t wait to try bunker 24, we have heard great things!!!

We loved loved loved the chicago actor guy. Great acting he was our favourite, Well done. Thought there would be more scary things happening. Scaring the guests, i dont know something a bit more of a pop.
The bar keep could have been a real person instead of a robot. Same as a few other spots. And in the fortune tour could have had real people in parts the real time furnature and things were pretty cool to see, but again could have been more theatrical stuff going on.
The bunker 24 actor we feel was the least favourite of them all not a lot of energy invested and could have had some theater people in the training rooms
The videos in the lobby made it look so spectacular but the actual guided tours could be better in my opinion.

This was one of the coolest activities my family has ever done! My face literally hurt from smiling so much. The actors were amazing and stayed in character. It was a perfect presentation while also having the audience engage at certain points. I plan on coming back to do the other tours!

The second time being here.
First one was with my mom and grandma, although their cannot understand English, they still enjoy the shows.
This time is with my boyfriend, we attended fortune tour and Chicago tour, we enjoy the tours very much. It introduce the stories of that time, which we will never experience again.
The stories of Moose Jaw is very interest. The tour guides are very kind and the stories they told is very vivid, you will enjoy it for sure.
I think the fortune story is must seen tour, as a Chinese, I learned a lot from it.
Another tour we attended is Chicago, although I’m not that interest in wine story, I still enjoy the entire tour very well.
I’m pretty sure if I visit next time, I will attend the 24 buckle for sure.

What an amazing experience! We took the Chicago Connection and the Passage to Fortune tours, both were about an hour long, very informative and interactive. The one hour was filled with learning and fun from start to finish, the cast characters do an amazing job! Well worth the visit! We bought our tickets a few days in advance, I highly recommend this as it’s quite busy!

The Chicago Connection tour was interesting and engaging. Our 4 year old son enjoyed it as well. The staff are so young and maybe that's a bit distracting, if they were older it might be more believable.

We had a great experience here doing the Bootleggers tour. It was educational and interactive. The staff were great, and the gift shop was stocked with fun souvenirs such as key chains, stickers and t-shirts. The tour far exceeded our expectations. There are no photos allowed during the tour which means you get the full experience without distractions.
Slot machines, poker & table games offered in a traditional venue with a cocktail lounge.
I stopped for a bowl of soup and was very glad I did. I ordered the broccoli and cheddar soup. It was fresh and hot and so filling. Afterwards, I decided to game for a bit and won on my third spin. I played a few games and won quite a few times. As I was on my way to Manitoba, I couldn't stay long, but I certainly enjoyed my time here. The casino was busy with a great gaming atmosphere. I would definitely consider stopping here again for lunch and a little fun.
One thing to note: I drive a bug pickup and had a hard time finding anywhere to park an oversized vehicle that would not fit in the public parking. I would have thought parking would be a little better, maybe it is, but it wasn't obvious for a non-resident.
Les Larson — Google review
Its a cute little casino, has everything you would expect. 3 table games, and poker table on the weekends. Slots were all nice and newer style. I would love a few more different games and variety, the main popular games were always being played and the outsider ones remained empty. The staff there were awesome, from the security, slot attendant, to kitchen. Everyone there is extremely friendly, didn't run into one non friendly staff member. Casino isnt massive, almost undersized for a city like MJ, but it does get the job done for the most part.

For the size, this casino is quite relaxed... The food definitely exceeded my expectations, the chef was more the willing to accommodate my needs. -- the bison burger is amazing here! and for the price, can't get a better burger in moose jaw. The only con, but is understandable, is that me and my fiance were ID'd, lol. 30+ but I'll take the compliment.

Nice place. Clean and friendly.
They were under renovation when we was there but a good variety of table games. They were all full on a Saturday evening so we weren't able to play.
Mostly slot machines.
Security at the front was very friendly and the ladies in the cage were great!
Little place for food and beverage.

Temple gardens parking lot was full as usual, the hotel reception stated that street parking was their only option for hotel guests. As we have an expensive vehicle, and the huge amount of foot traffic past the parked cars, we were hesitant to park overnight in an alley.
Upon checking with the casino security, they graciously offered their lot despite not being affiliated with the hotel.
This is the service that makes the casino excellent. Great job.

One of the elder cleaning staff members at the casino is just awesome. She's super friendly and full of energy, which makes her a real pleasure to be around. She's always working hard to keep the place spotless, and she never forgets to throw in a warm greeting. Honestly, her positive vibe really makes the casino feel like a welcoming place for everyone.

Small, very small, casino with slots and 3 table games. There was no poker this evening due to staff shortage. Recommend calling ahead of time if you’re here for the table games. We stopped in for half an hour as we stayed across the street. Security and entry staff were friendly. Paid parking

It was your typical slot machine casino and some tables. Good to kill an hr. Didn’t win but the varying values to bet were nice. Slow drain or lose it fast.
Clean and clean bathrooms

Sigger MMwMMA — Google review
They are undergoing renovations right now so the place is a lot smaller than before. I played on several machines, with little to zero luck. There was barely a hope of winning on any of them. I thought the point of a casino was to keep you there playing with a little bit of a pay out. Nope. All 4 people in our party lost it all within 30 mins and left. It was a friend's idea to go, so I tagged along. I won't be returning any time soon. Losing money isn't a good feeling, so I know a casino isn't the place to have fun at. Bathrooms were clean and modern, so that was a big A+ on their part, and cashier was friendly.

I thought it was actually quite a small place, however if your oozing for a quiet little gambling oasis, this is the place to visit. First a treatment at the mineral spa across the street and then relax at the casino. It also has a little selection of slots to enjoy. The food and beverage bar is a handy place for a snack and perhaps a cocktail. I enjoyed my little visit here.
Marcel Wolf — Google review
Although they are going through renovations, they have managed to keep the casino running. They still have tables running and enough slot machines to keep customers happy. They also have had their lounge/restaurant running the entire time. I think this transition was well planned. Good on them!

Was treated like garbage at this casnio bye the pit boss, was kicked out for asking why he was so rude. They refuse to open the tables for highrollers, they say they are under staffed but there is numerous people standing around and the casnio appreas to be dirty. Felt unwelcome been to every casnio in the province this has been the worst experience out of all of them. I suggest driving 2 hours to the Dakato dunes casnio at least they will treat you like your welcome there.

I’m not much of a gambler but was given a voucher to use here with my hotel stay. It was quiet as my stay was early on in the week amidst back to school/work season beginning.
When I first got there, I was signed up for a casino card and given some extra play cash to use!
The layout of the casino is very nice. The restaurant/lounge portion of the facility was closed when I was there but had that been up and running, I could imagine how hopping the place must be as a rule.
I’m sure my next stay will include a quick trip down to the casino for a few spins as it seems only right to do!
So much fun!!! My kids are so excited about our visit we are going back tomorrow before we leave for another visit!

Amazing place! Many old trains and vehicles that you don't usually see. I especially enjoyed the section on healthcare and the iron lung machine which I hadn't seen before. My elder son 5 this year had a good time looking at several dioramas as well. The admission fees were affordable, the place is well kept and clean. There isn't too much description on most of the vehicles or trains but that was OK with me since I didn't have the time to read anyway with 2 young kids. There is also a section on 100 years of Saskatchewan history if you're the reading sort. Stroller friendly!

Visiting the Western Development Museum in Moose Jaw was a fantastic experience! The museum beautifully captures the rich history of transportation, agriculture, and industry in Western Canada. The exhibits are well-curated, showcasing a remarkable collection of vintage vehicles and machinery. From the fascinating displays on automobiles and trains to the insights into Saskatchewan's agricultural practices, my family was captivated by the depth of information and the immersive atmosphere. An incredibly high quality museum with an impressive collection. It’s largely centred on transportation including a section on the brief steamboat era on the North and South Saskatchewan. Ever wanted to be in the drivers seat of a steam locomotive? Look no further! It’s located right beside highway 1 so it’s an easy stop when on a road trip.
This is so close to Regina, so convenient. There are lots of well serviced campsites. Booking on line is seamless no matter what your needs are. There is a first rate laundry and washroom facility and the marina is beautiful with a general store that might be able to provide anything you forgot to bring with you.

Went to Roans Ravine on Canada day long weekend. Nice park have been going there for 50 years. I launched my boat at 11:00 Am. Cruised the lake for three hours and pulled up to the point where it was marked for boats, outside the swimming area. I just wanted to have lunch and use the washroom at the beach. I was told by a Conservation Officer that I could not park my boat anywhere on the shoreline except at a dock. There was one at the restaurant and the only other place I could stop was at the boat launch. He was very matter-of-fact about that... pointing to the two docks. Well.... the dock at the restaurant could only hold two boats which was already full. I am not going to take up a space at the boat launch and walk the mile back to the beach so I was forced to take my boat out of the water and leave the lake. I will have to find another lake to go to. It seems that the people that run this park are more concerned about giving your dog a place to swim than allowing boaters the chance to use the washroom! Poor judgement of the parks people!

Beautiful campground! We camped in Underwood B, which had some semi shared campsites, but there were still trees for shade. The park had a festival going on while we camped, which had lots of activities and a band. We didn't get a chance to check out Mama Bear's Den, but I've heard good things. We did go to the dog beach which was OK, but really stoney so I would recommend water shoes for tender feet. There are showers, but we didn't check them put as it was a short stay. The toilets are probably my only complaint. There are lots all around the campgrounds, but they are a hole in the ground type outhouses. They have no chemicals so they smell awful and you smell like outhouse after using them. However, they are fairly well maintained in that park staff cleaned them while we were there, restocked the toilet paper and hand sanitizer. We will definitely be back in the future, we would like to rent one of their cabins on the lake.

Great little park with a huge beach. The lake gives the feel of an ocean when the water and prairie merge to create the illusion. One nice little hiking trail along the lake as well.

I really enjoy staying here. The rooms are tidy, with a little safe and fridge, the bedding is comfy, and the supplied bathrobes are cozy. The spa itself is a heated treat, with several temperatures and depths. The coldest temp is 34C, so it's not *actually* cold.
The front desk people were very helpful and friendly, and the gift shop has everything you need, including the option to buy any pillows/bedding/bathrobes you may have liked during your stay. I thought that was a nice touch.

Rooms are clean and roomy. However, it was quite warm all night no matter how low we set the thermostat. During winter not recommended to turn on A/C.
Also, they used to serve in the morning an included breakfast buffet with your overnight stay. During Covid it was discontinued and since restrictions were lifted it never returned under the old & new management. It was one of the reasons we alway chose Manitou ( which from Regina is almost a 2 hour drive) over Moose Jaw spa (which is only a 45 minute drive). For most hotels everywhere they at the very least offer a free continental breakfast, even toast, muffins, cereal, fruit and coffe/tea for an overnight stay would be something to encourage more regular visitors.

My recent visit to Manitou Springs Resort and Mineral Spa was highlighted by the incredible swimming pool inside the resort. This aquatic oasis surpassed all expectations, providing a luxurious and rejuvenating experience.
The pool itself was immaculately maintained, with crystal-clear waters inviting guests to take a refreshing dip. This swimming pool was its mineral-infused waters. As I soaked in the warm embrace of the natural minerals, I could feel the tension melting away from my muscles, leaving me feeling utterly relaxed and revitalized.
The staff at the poolside were attentive and accommodating, ensuring that every guest felt welcome and well-cared for.
Whether you're seeking relaxation, rejuvenation, or simply a bit of aquatic fun, this pool is sure to exceed your expectations. I cannot recommend it highly enough for anyone visiting the resort.

It was not crowded or rushed. A very relaxing swim in their mineral pools. The cool pool seemed warmer than 96°F as listed, the warm pool is stated as 100° F but felt like 102° F and the hot pool listed as 102° F felt more like 105° F however that did not create any problems as we observe the 15 minute limit before taking a "cooling" break and drinking lots of water. They allow you to bring your own water bottle onto the pool deck which is very nice. We actually took advantage of going out onto the patio for a break. The gift shop was well stocked with a large variety of spa, clothing and swim wear.

I’m a quadriplegic and I booked a massage way before I came there and I was told I’d be able to receive a massage in my chair. Once I arrived in my chair I was turned away and denied a massage. Also your wheelchair accessible rooms are not very big. The room’s never came with microwaves, so you can’t warm up any food. We had to go to hotel restaurant every night because we had no where to warm up food. I was very disappointed with my stay.I would never recommend to another wheelchair user

This place was really nice however it seemed like each room had its own problems that we stayed in. The double Queen had a leaking toilet and the executive king room was really loud from the fridge. Also we got locked out of room cause our other room was ready so we had to explain to the people to let us in the old room and they almost didn't. The pool was amazing it was interesting to float around. And I loved the gift shop. I also love that you get the complementary towels and the $10 off for the gift shop that was nice. I would stay here again though.

The resort is well maintained and clean. The pool in the resort is a perfect spot to relax and enjoy. The caffee next to the pool has amazing staff and good food. Apart from the pool, the resort has a gift shop, a spa centre and a gym. Also, the restaurant located in the resort serves delicious food and beverages along with exceptional customer service. This place definitely has to be my go to spot for relaxation and some family time! Definitely a must visit place in Saskatchewan. ;)

My wife and I have been coming here for years. I suspect that the original owners have been replaced. The staff is wonderful, the rooms are adequate. However, the pool and the restaurant have seen better days. You'd think if the goal was to sell rest and relaxation that the water would be warm, not cold. And, when a fellow orders a steak medium rare, the waiters' response should not be, sorry Sir, the steaks have been cut to thin, only medium and well done. "I'm not kidding". When you try to cut expenses by shorting your service, your customers tend to notice.
We will no longer be spending our time nor our dollars here any longer. I'm sure that I am not alone in my opinion. I find it saddening that such a gem fall by the wayside.
Perhaps the community of Watrous should seek another hotel to come in and do it right. Competition is always good for trade.

We stayed 2 nights over the weekend with my family. The hotel and rooms were very clean, the stuff was very friendly and professional. Huge portions and good food in restaurant made the hotel warm and cozy place. The best of all is healing water full of
minerals that you can't find everywhere. We are leaving well rested and relaxed. Thank you.

Spa/pool is great. Restaurant has good food and great staff. Walls are thin and was kept up all night by noisy neighbors partying. Security was great in coming to tell them to keep it down, but they didn't listen. Overall would recommend. Just hope you don't have the gossip girls staying next in the room beside you....I'm talking to you room 420....

This is a mixed review. The room was adequate for the days we were there. They are comfortable and roomy, and have great showers and water pressure. The wifi wasn't great but we weren't there to be on our devices constantly. It's winter so the view was just white snow and nothing great, but summer is probably beautiful. 5 stars for the rooms and cleaning service personnel whom go above and beyond to make sure you have all amenities for your stay.
The food in the restaurant was awful. They have a menu with plenty to choose from (too much because they don't know how to make anything worth eating.) , but nothing is good or cooked correctly. Not one dish had the correct sauces or spice, and the steaks were absolutely disgusting for 37.00 a dish. It's like really bad frozen fast food. Zero stars for the food and the cook, and 3.5 stars for the staff who almost did what they were there to do.
The "mineral" springs while warm and relaxing seem to be Epsom salt float pools that are found in the cities. The water was blue/green and cloudy from salt and that's all. Not like it should have been, smell wise or color wise. It wasn't like the real natural mineral pools that are found elsewhere that I thought were supposed to be there. The mineral pool was still relaxing but nothing spectacular so its about 3.5 stars.
It's still a good experience and i would go back as long as there is another place to eat with edible food.

The resort was very clean inside, but there was trash everywhere outside. The pool was nice. Cafe was disappointing as worker ignored us at the counter, so we left . Great gift shop, air conditioners in room are quiet. Comfy bed, plenty of towels. Over all 9/10.
The town experienced severe flooding in June 22.

My husband and I came here for a weekend getaway and had a great time. They sent us to the wrong room at first but were quick to get us into the jacuzzi room that we booked. Our room was really nice. The hotel as a whole is a little dated, and could use a freshen up in that way, but that didn't effect our stay at all. Still was a great time and the pool was awesome. Thanks for the wonderful weekend!

This was the first time we have been to Saskatchewan.
This was a beautiful experience.
All the staff from the room services, the front desk, the gift shop, the spa, the pool, and the restaurant were all awesome. They were all great.
Everyone was nice, helpful and provided good service.
Ella , the waitress in the restaurant was a phenomenal waitress/bartender. She was so sweet, hospitable, informative, and went above and beyond. I love her outfits, her humor, and how accommodating she
Knowing the restaurant may be short staffed and the only place for miles the staff did so well. They were fast, efficient, funny and professional.
I had a deep tissue massage and facial with Jayme she was awesome. Highly recommend this place. 👌

Can't comment on the rooms or spa service, we went to the pool.
The pool is hot. Very hot. Even the cold area is hot. Don't forget to cool off on the patio outside or sit on the deck for a bit. Their $3 ice cream cone is a great deal.

It's okay. This resort and pool badly need upgrades. The whole place kind of has a dirty feel. It's definitely not worth the $185/night. I love the water, but the rest of the experience is mediocre.

A visit to the Spa a few weeks ago was not as expected compared to the last few years. We visited the spa on a day pass taking a bus trip from Regina with Engelheim Tours. Which by the way was great ! To our surprise a the Spa , there were no amenities accompanying a day pass. Considering we were visiting a Spa we assumed we’d receive a robe and towel not so!! No lock provided with a locker. No robe; The towels were not free , cost $5 with a $3 upon return . thin , worn , small, towels barely contained enough cotton or terry to dry one self. The spin dryer was no longer in the change rooms therefore you took a water soak bathing suit home. The cafeteria within the spa area was restricted to “ no outside food allowed policy” . If you left the spa area to eat at the cafeteria or restaurant and return to the pool you’d need to pay again if you entered on a day pass . The food was average considering you waited a long while to be served and 3 x as long to receive your ordered meal . Rate that experience as a 2.
The mineral water has changed as well , not as buoyant or color of mineral water , more like pool water .
I’d expect needing to bring less and enjoy a spa day , or weekend then needing to bring all necessary amenities from home .
Call ahead and get the information you need to enjoy your day..

Horrible treatment. Never coming back.
I went there with a group just for the pool. We had a pregnant lady with us and asked if she could come in just to sit on the side to watch her kids. The front desk lady told us no, that she needs to be in the pool to come in due to "limited number of people allowed inside, unless you're a hotel guest". We then said we can just pay for her to sit on the side. The same response and reasoning was given. Keep in mind, this was February 2024, and no signs anywhere said that there was a limit inside the pool area. So then we asked if she could just dip her toes in the water. The lady then told us that she needed to wear a bathing suit and take a shower before going into the pool. I can tell you half of the people there entered the pool dry, not having pre-shower. There was no accommodation what-so-ever for somebody who is pregnant and uncomfortable wearing a bathing suit. If the kids weren't so excited for the pool, we would've walked away. Instead, our pregnant lady had to sit alone in the cafe watching us from afar. There wasn't even a door connecting the cafe to the pool area like the Moose Jaw pool.
As for the pool facility itself, it was quite dirty. There was rust in the flooring in the locker area, and graininess on your feet everywhere leading up to the pool. The pool itself was mediocre. I would've given this a 3/5, but due to the treatment of service, it's a 1/5.

I like to visit this place several times a year for the last 8 yrs. The hotel manager is great but the night staff not so much. The restaurant has gone WAY down hill this last year to the point I will not be returning EVER!! Food is at best mediocre and extremely overpriced and the so called chef is no more than a poor excuse of a cook! His manners are despicable! I asked for pan fried potatoes for breakfast and NOT to deep fry my bacon. Well BIG mistake. He had the nerve to come out and yell at me in front of my family and other guests because he wasn’t able to do that! I was absolutely humiliated. I was given a $50 gift card (my bill was $87) that didn’t even cover the cost of our breakfast that I didn’t even eat! My last visit 2 months earlier I was again insulted at the pool desk because I was wearing the crappy $2 spa towel around my chest as the robe didn’t cover me completely just to go up to my room then I would return it when I was dressed. I was scolded for “taking their cherished towel “ and humiliated in front of many other guest. I drive 4 hrs to go to this spa (passing right past Temple Gardens in Moose Jaw to get there. I’m absolutely disappointed, dissatisfied and completely OVER this place. I will be spending my money in Moose Jaw!!

Our group came here for Easter sunday outing. We truly enjoyed soaking at the pools. You get to choose among the three pools: cold (34C), warm and hot (39C) pools.
Do try out their food at Water Crest Cafe.

Indoor hot spring pool during winter, need I say more?! We spent 4 hours here, going back and forth through the different temperature pools. There's food and ice cream when you're hungry, so you can take a break. A little gift shop before you leave to take some of the hot springs with you. I really enjoyed my time here.

Douglas Provincial Park, located near Saskatoon, is an exceptional destination for campers and nature enthusiasts. The park features well-maintained campgrounds with clean facilities and firewood available for use. One of the main attractions is the Sand Dunes Trail, which provides stunning views of mesmerizing dunes that are perfect for photo opportunities. Additionally, visitors can enjoy a variety of hiking trails that are clearly marked throughout the park.
One of our favorite places to camp. Beaches are great. The water is nice. Grounds well kept. Nice trails to walk.

Beautiful, well treed, nicely maintained park with large spots, paved lanes and really nice hiking trails! Love seeing all the animals as well.

The campgrounds here are amazing for families. They're clean, spacious, and pretty quiet. We love that the park is pet friendly, too. The water is pretty low this year, but that just means it's got a more spacious beach area this year. I love the walking paths, as there is a lot of room to explore.

Excellent Provincial Park near Saskatoon. They have great campgrounds and very fascinating Sand Dunes. We went there for May long weekend a did camping for one night. The campground is great. Toilets and showers area was clean. They had logs for making fire.
There are not many trails except the lengthier Sand Dunes Trail which is fantastic. Tou will end up seeing mesmerizing dunes and it's a great place to take pictures as well.

I absolutely love this Provincial park, and I have been to many in SK. The water is super clean, camping sites are fairly large, nicely groomed and most are pretty private. There are also so many trail hikes marked out you have plenty of options. Sand dunes that you can stroll down for hours. Sit down at the beach at sunset and the views are incredible!

Full with natural beauty. Huge camping area full of wild species.
Big kids play area, huge picnic spot with BBQ stand. Lots of washrooms, boat launch areas, and swimming areas are totally separate.
You can get help from the information center,
Highly recommend.

Always a great experience to stay at this campground. We don't even have a favourite site, almost all are great. We love that there is a (very good) concession for food, ice cream etc and camping/fishing supplies. Lake Diefenbaker is very clear and you can walk in far. There are beautiful walking trails, we finally did the Juniper trail on the other side of the road. At dusk we often go watch the sunset or look for deer near the campground. Never a dull moment!

Very lovely sand beach. It has the most private comping sites. Most of the sites are filled and covered by trees. There is store by the beach. It have many beaches, I personally prefer the sandy beach that you have to walk a bit to get there as well as the beach by boat launch. It has a clean water to swim. The only issue might be washrooms that are that clean and the showers which aren't that many and you have to walk to get there.

I love all aspects of this park, but you must visit the sand dunes. What a wonderful experience. After a twenty minute walk on the trail, which has plenty of trees and cactus, the sand dunes stretch out before you like a mirage. And remember, after a hot walk to the dunes, make your way to Lake Diefenbaker for a swim in the nicest lake in the province.

Went for a winter hike with my dogs. Couldn’t find any winter pics online so I thought I’d add some. Of course the water is off, bathrooms closed, etc. But there are many trails to walk or ski, places to picnic, and gorgeous nature to see!

A lovely park, lots of showers, bathrooms and on the July long weekend, I found it to be very quiet (surprisingly) after 11pm. Sand dunes were a little disappointing but still cool nonetheless. 10/10 will return again. The lovely town of Elbow is a short drive away. don't miss out on visiting there.
