Absolutely worth the stop! They have the usual tourist brochures tucked inside a gorgeous old home, even better a short history museum to help you narrow down where you’re going. The help is excellent and the bathrooms are clean.

The Biloxi Visitors Center is not only a lovely building, it is full of interesting things to see. The staff is very friendly and eager to answer any questions. Nice displays of Mississippi memorabilia are on display and make for interesting viewing. There is also a large gift shop full of souvenirs. Well worth the stop.

Biloxi Lighthouse and the Biloxi Visitors Center are a combined stop. I would recommend starting my visit here. The visitor center gave us a lot of suggestions how we could best spend our 4 sightseeing days. The light house in front of the visitor center. You can climb to the top for a view of the beach, but only between 9 and 10 am. A BOGO coupon for the lighthouse is available in the visitor center.
Chuck Buck — Google review
People there are super sweet and helpful. Also, they give you free coffee. There is a beautiful museum in there too and it's free!!
Micaela Cardoza — Google review
This is my time in Biloxi, Mississippi, it's a pretty good looking place if you ask me, it's basically an art museum except you don't really have to pay for any tickets which is a good thing and also they have a gift shop too but usually I'm different and I call them souvenir shops instead, maybe that's just me.
They also have bikes in front of the visitors center that you can rent (didn't take picture because I forgot) but you can go for a ride couple hours maybe like 2 or 4, heck maybe even the whole day if you want.

Great place to learn a little bit of history about Biloxi and the Gulf Coast. Great gift shop with local items. Cemetery marker for oldest burial ground in the South.
Naomi Holifield — Google review
Beautiful building and the porch has great views of the lighthouse! The women upstairs were so helpful and had amazing suggestions. I can’t wait to be back and explore more!

Beautiful building, neat walk-through museum, lots of local brochures and information about events going on in the area. There is a video about Hurricane Katrina that shows each day in the theater as well which is worth the watch.
Bonus: The Biloxi Tour Train which leaves from the Visitor's Center parking lot is a must if you're interested in learning about the really neat history of this beautiful city!
Ronan Voyager — Google review
Nice place for a wedding or reception.
We have done setups here in the past.
The vender elevator makes for easy access to the next level. It’s a bit blockish bc the layout is a giant square building but overall very nice and elegant.

Excellent visitors centre - maps, event calendars, hotels, restaurants, interesting locations, activities and historic local displays.

My wife and I visited this beautiful building and were amazed at how wonderful it was. The free museum is very nice. Free coffee.
The map showing the businesses is excellent. And of course there is the literature common to most visitor centers. The video on Katrina, played twice a day, was super good and worth it for anyone that has not experienced first hand the terror of a tidal wave. Biloxi caught the worst of that storm, though New Orleans got the publicity because of the flooding. Five stars from me is rare and this is, in my experience, the gold standard for a visitor center. Worth a visit. Worth going out of the way for and making time for. It is its own destination.
Charles Johnson — Google review
This is such a beautiful visitor's center. It's so well kept and tells alot about the areas history. There are some displays and informational movies playing where you can learn more.
Natalie Ana Borkoski Parker — Google review
The center is housed in a stunning, reconstructed Antebellum mansion located right across from the beautiful Biloxi Lighthouse. Top class info center featuring galleries, exhibits and a theater. A must-see.
The Beau Rivage Resort & Casino is a sophisticated hotel with stunning views of the Gulf. It offers an outdoor pool, a spa, and a casino for guests to enjoy. The dining options are diverse and vibrant, including eclectic restaurants and bustling bars. One notable restaurant is The Buffet at Beau Rivage, which boasts an expansive selection of global cuisine in a tastefully decorated space.
Spacious and nice rooms! Restaurants are good. Buffet is $15 for breakfast and servers are super nice. Casino is large. Enjoyed top golf suite and the spa. Pool is awesome. Only recommendation would be to have a pull up spot to check in so you know the room is ready before you park in the deck and drag all your luggage in.
Amanda Gambill — Google review
Fantastic experience all around! From the maintenance team up to the managers, everyone was hospitable, kind, and helpful. The hotel was decked out for Christmas and so fun! The room was so pretty and the view was an added bonus. Delicious food in the restaurants, too. Make sure to get some specialty coffees at the Bean and try a muffin or coffee cake. And do some shopping at The Jewelry Box! All the employees were so knowledgeable. I can’t wait to stay here again!

This was my first time gambling and I was there with a friend celebrating her birthday. That's the most fun I've ever had losing money. I totally lost it when I found out there were little electronic slot machines in the bar. Okay, so I'm easily amused! But seriously... I hope I can stay in the hotel one day because this looked like a magical Wonderland. Especially walking through that little garden entrance thingy with all the lights. Absolutely stunning. beautiful property. I'll definitely be back to give you more of my money soon! (I never win anything based on chance so... It's just a donation. 🤣)

Absolutely beautiful facility. The room was so clean, comfortable, and our Gulf view was perfect! The resort has excellent choices to choose from for dining. The food and service were wonderful! MGM properties is the only way to go. The Beau has the same feel as if staying at a Vegas Resort. It is a family friendly Resort, with close access to local beaches and other fun dining options. We will definitely be back !!

The Beau Rivage, frequently called The Beau, is one of our favorite resorts, casinos, and get-away places. We love how the decorations change almost monthly depending on the holiday: Halloween, Christmas, Valentines, etc etc. The rooms are clean, spacious, and comfortable. The views of the water and easy access to the 'beach' area are the best around. The casino has numerous slots and table games, with friendly and helpful dealers. The dining options are good at Beau, but there are also several restaurants (and casinos) within easy walking distance. We love the Black Clover lounge, as well as the sports bar, especially for watching games. They have a mini indoor Top Golf type range. The pool is awesome, and though I've not tried it yet, the spa looks divine! We've been going for years, and they are always tastefully improving and updating. If you're planning a trip to Biloxi, this is your place!

So much more to do than gamble. The Christmas displays were beautiful. Snack bar has excellent pizza. Sushi restaurant was very good. Italian was authentic and delicious. I can't wait to go back when it warm enough to enjoy the pool area.

Went to have a good evening of dinner and fun. I guess we got there too late to the buffet and they asked us if we wanted anything else as they were closing down the food access after being there 15 minutes. Wow! Spent $65.00 for 15 minutes worth of eating! Food was not that impressive. I would suggest that they warn you at a thirty minute mark that they will be closing and not take your money 15 minutes before they shut down. Last time I will eat at their buffet! We found other places inside to eat but we were hungry. Thought it would be a good idea to get something to eat before games and the buffet was the first one we saw. As we left we walked around to play a few games. Well to make a long story short, we looked around and hardly anyone was winning and when they did it was small payouts. Years ago I was impressed. Now all there is to play is a bunch of imported looking machines. Everyone there looked down and out. Roulette wheels were not very forgiving either. It's like they changed the balls every turn. Sorry but electronic import machines with strange Chinese dragons on them and just playing the lights is not for me anymore.. the old times are gone, no more old style slot machines. Just not what it used to be. Sorry but I don't think I will be back. Drove three hours for an awful evening. I had taken my girlfriend there for her birthday. Well it wasn't what we expected.
Mickey Rytman — Google review
We had the opportunity to take a deal from MGM to come to Biloxi from Florida on a bundled trip that included chartered flight and 3 nights at the “Beau”. First impression is this property is beautiful and gives you a close to Vegas type of experience. The room we had was bittersweet being on the absolute end and the furthest from the elevators. When we arrived it stated in the email that we were checked in and encouraged us to bypass the front desk and go straight to our room. Guess what? The digital key did not work and we had to call down and wait for a security person let us in. Slight setback but the room was a corner and offered a second window for some different views. Unfortunately not gulf view but still not bad considering. The room furnishings and overall quality are getting dated. Clean and kept the best it could be but definitely ready for a remodel. Those being the only complaints to consider this place is the high standard in comparison to the competition nearby. Casino doesn’t have the lower $5 minimums you might see around town but to be expected when they offer the nicest resort. Beautiful Chinese New Year decorations fill the lobby. Staff and dealers when fun and friendly. Slots were actually pretty good to us and had a nice mix of old and new machines. Overall a great experience and we hope to return again.

Make sure to use Hᴏᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking your stay. This site will compare countless booking websites and normally will have prices much cheaper than others! Thank me later on! This place is the best rated in this area. I have been coming here for a long time. If you decide to stay here you for sure will love it I'm sure!
Such a nice casino/resort with a great layout! Lots of machines and games to choose from and hotel staff is top notch! Beautiful pool and nice gym and spa facilities. The buffet had a large variety of food and even with a large line moved quickly. It was a great experience and we will definitely be back!

Beau Rivage is an amazing Gulf Coast destination. While there, we were able to take a day trip from Biloxi to Mobile and to Pensacola (less than a two hour drive)! On our second trip to Beau Rivage, yes we were there twice this summer, we enjoyed a day trip to New Orleans (90 miles west). Oh, did I not mention the incredible restaurants, shops and on site salon at Beau Rivage? There’s something for everyone! The food is phenomenal, the shopping very upscale and enjoyable. The salon services were invigorating. And the casino, wrapped it all up with a bow! This place is definitely our family favorite casino resort getaway!

Beautiful casino \ hotel! The spa was absolutely incredible! The rooms are spacious and very nice! The little bar on the right just as you walk into the casino was so so much fun! The band that plays every weekend is what made it so fun! They were soo good and played songs from back in the 90's and 2000's.
Candace Cheatham — Google review
Beau Rivage provides the best lodging experience in Biloxi! The hotel is beautifully decorated for Christmas. It is like a winter wonderland. It also has great stores to shop in. The casino is for smokers, but the smell is at a minimum compared to other casino hotels I have stayed at. I'm not a smoker, so clean air is important to me. I love staying at the Beau!
Karen Love — Google review
I haven't stayed here yet.
We went for the brunch at The Buffet, and WOW! Just about everything you could want to eat and everything was so delicious!
Lots of other restaurants are available that we hope to visit at some point also.
We had never been, as we don't go to casinos, but there is great shopping and dining, and the decor is breathtaking!
Jenny Jessee — Google review
Always beautiful, but the smoke in the casino is so very bad. They really need to work on a better air purification system. They have taken all but a handful of quarter slots out. Those are my favorite. Had a good time as always.
Dianna Haskell — Google review
Fantastic hotel, our first time here. The property is well kept, updated and plenty of staff in all areas. They have numerous food outlets, all of the ones we tried were fantastic. Too cold on our trip for the pool but it is beautiful. The spa was nice and would recommend. Our room was well appointed but we paid a lot for a corner suite for the views. Disappointingly all we could see was the rook and parking garage, real bummer. If you book this type of room don’t get 3rd floor. Overall great property.

Beau Rivage is an excellent Casino with friendly staff. I enjoyed my time there. I especially enjoyed club Eight 75. I will be returning since my date enjoys playing poker in your facility. I have not had the pleasure of staying in your hotel but hope to have that privilege one day
SUMON SIKDER — Google review
Great place to stay. The parking garage is free and the check-in process was very quick. Has a lot of shops in the lobby as well as some good eating places that aren't in the Casino area. Has an Arcade for the kids and an indoor Golf simulator for the Big Kids. Had the Buffet for lunch and it was very good and only $19.99. It is part of the MGM rewards program so be sure to sign up for free and get your card printed off and have them scan it for your stay and food. There were also plenty of elevators that were quick so there wasn't any waiting around for them.
J W (Jurlt) — Google review
My room was clean and nice. The line to the buffet was very long and didn't move fast so I didn't get to eat there...I was disappointed that the table games are $15 minimum. I finally found one Ultimate Texas Hold Em table that was $10 and played that for a little while. Both open craps tables were $25 minimum. I was able to find some cheaper tables at other casinos in the area.
Josh — Google review
Buffet was worse than a Golden Corral! Room was not as clean, and had a smell. The pool was so crowded that I wasn't able to swim. There were 70 something people!! I always loved going to the pool. Was there for 4 days and was not able to use even once! I wondered if they had opened it to the public? The Casino itself remains the same. Will not be going back. Have been patron for around 15 years, no more! So sad.
Dawn Azimi — Google review
Super cute MGM property. Very "Vegas" feel without having to travel all the way there. It is simpler, and I wish there were more food options but the rooms are very nice, the pool and gym are great, and the casino is well kept.
Ashley Naumann — Google review
Our room was excellent! Clean and smelled good, which helps after leaving the casino floor. Lots of friendly faces around every corner! I've never had so many conversations on an elevator! Lol. They have a great view of the gulf from their pool deck, lots of open space to hang out and relax outside, with a bar. The pillows were so comfy, we bought 2 to take home.
Amanda Davis — Google review
My wife and I had a short trip last month. We loved the room, very clean and roomy. The casino was awesome , especially the Bet MGM BOOK. The buffet was moved there temporarily and the food was delicious. So many offerings from meatloaf to shrimp to fried chicken. Overall a great resort, casino experience.

The MGM Folks treat you so special. We come in on a Charter Flight for usually 3-4 days and with some very nice people who become friends. The restaurants are nice and clean with very tasty food. They decorate for every Holiday it seems which is so pretty. I am in real estate, so I notice these things. If you have a need, the front desk is quick to assist you. This has become one of my favorite places to visit. I LOVE The Beau Rivage!
Fran Hawley — Google review
This is probably the nicest hotel in the coast. We didn't stay here but ate at the buffet. The hotel recently changed the buffet and my opinion is that it isn't worth it. Food selection is very limited and if your in two desserts they only had a handful of options.
If you want a better buffet go to the Place. Lots more options and the food is better there.
The crowd for this buffet was mainly seniors, and maybe that's why I thought the food was just bland, catering to them I suppose.
Brad Shimkus — Google review
Nothing special about this casino. The restaurants are sub part. They did have the buffet open and we ate there. No real live music on the weekend. Just a local casino which still have smoking. The non smoking was located off the the smoking areas. What was good the whole trip was free promotion.
Si — Google review
This is one of the Nicest Casinos that we have stayed at! From the time you walk in the front door to the time you leave, there are nonstop breathtaking sights. Also being walking distance from other casinos, food, and gas stations is always convenient.
We were able to check in and enter our room digitally. Plus, the app allowed us to print physical keys at the kiosk by the front desk.
We can not wait to stay here again in the future!
Kyree Baxstresser — Google review
Incredible resort and casino. Great selection of next generation slots. Room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and beds comfy. Good restaurant options, something for everyone. Reservations, flight, airport transportation, and baggage handling were all done first class. Hassle free travel for the casino going senior. Good comps and great pkg deals are a plus, and this resort offers it all. No wonder they have regular repeat guests at this MGM location.
Diane Mullaney — Google review
The rooms are very nice. The one I stayed in was very spacious, but my sister room was average size. Free parking and elevator for convenience. Lots of shopping 🛍, gambling, and food options, but definitely not for the frugal wallet. As with all or most casinos 🎰 drinks 🍸 of all kinds, are free. Their inside elevator to the room are uniquely structured. You need your room key card at all time to get on the elevator, and rooms 1-15 have their own elevator section, and 16-Up has its own section. Though the main areas are really beautiful and maintained. Going to the rooms are a lot of construction 🚧 zones and questionable sites. Overall, I enjoyed my stay. P.S. please do not order anything using your room service. My sister had to pay and additional $50.00 because her daughter called and placed an order off the menu (she went and picked it up and paid for the meal at the restaurant, but still got charged an hotel service fee).
Victorious Resources — Google review
Wonderful resort and casino. Check in was a great! Bell service was spectacular! Buffet was average but restaurants were excellent. Room was fabulous with stupendous house keeping services. I felt very generous and gave large tips because they deserved it. I also won four digits at the casino which was exciting!!!

Beau Rivage Casino is the Class of the Gulf Coast Casinos hands down. Their Buffet and Food establishments are excellent, well priced and awesome quality. The other shops inside are top tier, and surprisingly affordable. The slots are humming and actually pay very well; the table games and roulette are entertaining, with excellent potential for payouts. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves for hours till the wee hours of the morning. Can't wait to go back.
Bruce Pollard — Google review
Didn't stay just went for the buffet for dinner 1 night and breakfast the morning after. The food is always hood southern cooking red beans and rice is must. The mac and cheese is delicious just the right amount of creamy gooey delight. The fried chicken is a staple I. Southern cooking and this places version of it is very light and crispy and seasoned to perfection. The cat fish and fried shrimp were good as well.
Darrel Boston — Google review
The buffet and the staff are fantastic. Gigi at the buffet made sure we were taken care of, and we appreciated her. Went to the casino, and the only blackjack tables open were two $50 tables and one $500 table. No thanks - played a couple slots and took off. I suppose the other casinos had cheaper tables, but there weren't a lot of affordable table options.
This casino is themed around rock music and offers a great betting experience with 500 interactive slots and 800 traditional slot machines. It's also packed with entertainment options, including concerts and nightclubs.
Visited this past weekend & everything was excellent. The hotel staff was friendly & helpful. We requested a refrigerator & it was delivered in less than 10 minutes. The lady was so nice & asked if we would also like a microwave, less than 5 minutes later it was at our room. The room was neat & clean. The casino staff was just as nice & helpful! Enjoyed our stay very much!
Gus Shawn — Google review
The lobby and casino are amazing! I love looking at all of the memorabilia. The room was nice and clean but it was a bit worn. The bathroom was impeccable; however, there was a little less privacy than what I prefer, too many glass doors there. The casino play was good. We played for several hours and basically broke even. Overall, we had a very enjoyable evening here.
Vicki Billings — Google review
It was fine I guess but less of a tourist casino and more of a locals slot machine hangout. The casino is really small and there were very few tables open - couldn’t get seats for 3 to play blackjack. A bunch of other goofy card game tables were open and empty. Hardly anyone likes the games outside of very popular ones so I think maybe flexible tables would be better.
The HR Cafe was fine but nothing special like the originals with regards to scale and collection, and the menu any what it used to be. The food was good and the bartender waited on us and she was great. Very friendly staff.
Alan Petry — Google review
Pro's: Casino being continually cleaned. Restrooms were all clean. So many machines to choose from to play. Wide variety of food available.
Food in the hard rock cafe was very good. The cafe style area was also good.
Cons: hard to find a server to get beverages from, both in main casino & high limits room& non smoking rooms. The smoking part of the casino was not too bad as I am a non smoker ,& didn't gag on any clouds from smokers. Must have a very good ceiling exhaust system. Plenty of memorabilia on display which was interesting to look at. I just wish valet cost was not $30 + tips to the runners. Maybe give seniors & handicap people a lower cost break please. All in all enjoyed my 5 hrs there. Didn't loose too much which was a bonus.
Mary Lusher — Google review
I can't comment about the rooms. I will say that the burger I had there was fantastic. The bartender that served me my food was friendly and very conscientious. I would easily go back to this place. I didn't get a chance to visit the casino but I would definitely like to. This left a lasting positive feeling for this place. Shoot I would easily stay here if I was offered a chance. I'd love to go back and maybe stay next time.
Thomas Carter — Google review
We really like it here. Neither my wife, nor I, are advanced gamblers and they are so patient and helpful when we play. We're not huge spenders but they still treat us so well anyway. Every employee we interacted with during our stay was pleasant to interact with. Bartenders, front desk, pool staff, and the casino staff, all just wonderful to us. Will definitely be back.
Chad Emling — Google review
This is my very first time visiting the location and honestly it was a really great experience. The room was nice, really comfy and welcoming. Had great assistance. The food, was REALLY GOOD. My parents had a really good time at the casino, they loved it. I will surely come back again soon. 😊❤️

Rooms need to be updated. The door handle on the room door was very hard to open. Checked in at 9pm. Went to dinner and returned back to the room. Upon my return, the temperature in the room was 62. We changed the temperature to 73 and left from the casino. Upon my return at 3 a.m., the temperature in the room was 66. It would not go higher. Called the front desk, and they sent maintenance up to check the problem. He flipped a switch inside the wall behind a panel, and it warmed up to 72. The temperature would not go higher than 72. I had the thermostat set at 76. Management and maintenance needs to complete routine maintenance checks on the functions of all guest rooms. The only good thing I can say is that my morning coffee view was amazing. Drinking coffee and seeing the water view help start my day.

I have enjoyed staying and visiting at this Hard Rock location. The rooms are very nice and clean. Enjoyed coming into my room with my music selection playing. The staff are efficient and friendly. If I have needed additional towels or other necessities, they are delivered within an appropriate time. There are many great eating selections at this location. The casino area is clean and well kept. There are various game selections available. I would highly recommend this casino and hotel.

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights for our anniversary. Everything was amazing, the restaurants, casino, bars, hotel room, pool - everything! Check in was simple with the friendliest lady who was very helpful and patient with our questions. Check out was even more convenient.
Loved our view, we were on the 6th floor and had views of both the MS Sound and the pool.
The only negative we experienced..The buffet left a lot to be desired. Very expensive for limited choices of bland food.
All staff from restaurants and hotel were so kind and welcoming. We felt well taken care of the whole time.
All in all, we loved staying here and look forward to coming back!!

The property is beautiful. I had a reservation with Sugar Factory 15-minute wait for two people after being seated for a waiter to come over to take drink orders, only after being requested when I noticed a party of 11 walk in and there order was taken right away after I had already waited 15 min. I spoke with the Manager Drew and services improved right away he was very nice and pleasant to have around during the dining experience. I didn't get the guy name from the back that brought out our food but he was very polite also our waiter was great as well after the rough start to our dining experience.

Wife and I have been here several times and we've been satisfied each time. We brought the kids on this particular visit. They absolutely love it! All they wanted was pizza and the pool 😎.Like most hotels, room rates are highest on weekends. ANNNND as a reminder, don't forget to figure in those extra fees (7%Sales Tax, Resort Fee, 3% Hospitality Tax and 2%Convention Tax 😉)
Fred Arrington — Google review
Didn't know when we booked but smoking is permitted all over the resort including the elevators. Rooms are dated. Casino relatively small. Restaurants were fantastic as well as the view. Probably won't be back. Better values out there for the price but had fun.
David Mills — Google review
First time to this location. We did not stay here but visited the casino. The area was large and plenty of room to get around. The floor service was great! Drinks were not hard to get and the machines were up to date with a few old school ones too. Will say it was a little dark but over all a good experience. Would definitely come here again.

This is my second time here with the same experience both times. Booked a King room in the Platinum tower. The whole tower is supposed to be non - smoking. It’s evident that they don’t enforce it or care. On both occasions, Immediately after getting off the elevator the hallway reeks of weed. We get into our room and it’s the same if not worse. The front desk was little help and only offered another room with different beds or an air scrubber. Housekeeping was very responsive but all they could offer was some spray. This will be the last time I stay at this facility.
Mark Williams — Google review
I was less than impressed with my stay.
The room had an amazing view but was in serious need of updating and the sheets were stained. The cleanliness wasn’t up to par either. I found hairs all over. They also misgendered me even though I provided correct information. I would not recommend your staff gender customers based on NAMES.
T Spencer — Google review
The room was clean and spacious. The casino had all the basics for tables, slots, and some good food options at relatively reasonable prices. We ate a big breakfast with chicken and waffles and an omelette and they were hot, fresh, and well prepared. The waitress was polite, attentive, and informative. The hotel is right on the water in MS. If you are passing through or live nearby this is a good place to try your luck and hang out a while. Good luck!

Very cool hotel. Loved the room, amazing view of the Gulf. Glass shower was great you can shower while seeing the beauty outside. Only negative thing if you like daily room service you have to make sure you ask for it. If not you will not get it. The Casino is a good size with lots of slots..and tables. Several different food choices inside also. Very clean also and friendly staff. And it's right on the water. Beautiful pool but was to cold to go in the time I was there. Definitely a do again.

Great place to hang out. Our favorite pizza place actually. Pie Five Pizza. We stop here just for the pizza some times.
Pro: platinum tower rooms are super cool and modern. They have great views and are nice.
Con: royal tower needs to be freshened up as the rooms are showing their age and some strong smells can be an issue.

My boyfriend and I had booked a room for 2 nights here but it was so nice and we were having so much fun we ended up staying another night. It was very clean and the staff was super friendly. Allan hit 2 jackpots on Buffalo Grand the same night. It was a wonderful experience and I hope to go back very soon!! I highly recommend this place!!🤩😍🥰🤑🏝🎰🎲♣️♥️♠️♦️🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸

Our room was a little lived in, shower heads need to be replaced, and the mini bar had apparently been broken into. It worked but it was empty. The service was on point. Great location. I got a hair cut and shaped my beard. They colored my wife's hair and it was perfect. Exactly what she wanted. The ladies were amazing. Made us feel very comfortable, they were the best. My wife gets super anxious around new people and her hairstylist got her to open up, share stories and laugh. I was very impressed and grateful. Mine as well.

We had a really nice room with a great view, but we won't be back. First of all, the room was not clean. There was garbage on the floor, the bathroom had not been wiped down, and the carpet needed to be vacuumed. Even worse, is there are no housekeeping services. One of the reasons we stay at a hotel, is that someone cleans the room and makes the bed, but not here. We asked for more towels, they were laid on top of our luggage near the door. Reservations was a joke. I had to make several phone calls because what I was told on the phone, did not match the confirmations I received. It took hours to straighten out the reservation. I've stayed at many different Hard Rocks and always enjoyed them. I was told to lower my expectations before I arrived, but I didn't think it would be this bad.

Had a great time, only comment is that the property and rooms especially could use a face-lift. Basic amenities in other casino/resort rooms, laundry bags, fridge, microwave, were "upon request if available". Mold in the room coffee machine. Drywall patching and painting in room was very evident. Furniture had plenty of use distress. Pool area was very nice as well as casino floor and restaurants.

We had a blast during our stay! Our first room had a connecting door to another room and the patrons were screaming all night. We requested another room and were quickly granted another room on a higher floor *without* an adjoining door. We were blown away by the stellar customer service. Casino was wonderful and the drinks plentiful. We'll definitely be back!!

The pool had a swim up bar. The entire area was well stocked with plenty of chairs and umbrellas. There were pool waitresses to take drink and food orders. They were all lovely young ladies who were great at their jobs. I want to give special thanks to Olivia, who made our experience at the pool even more enjoyable. She was friendly with a genuine smile that made me feel like she was actually as happy to be there as I was. All of the bartenders deserve to be praised as well. The entire staff that I encountered met or exceeded my expectations. I enjoyed my stay.

So above our expectations! We took this Biloxi trip on a whim, and booked the Hard Rock, and to say we were satisfied is a complete understatement! The location was very easy to access and come and go from, the view was amazing as well. From the first time we stepped in until the time we left the staff were amazing, very friendly and welcoming, everyone we interacted with was smiling faces, saying hello, asking how we were from security to housekeeping, front desk staff and all in between! The pool area was great, a nice swim up bar in the pool, great sitting area, two hot tubs, one of which was very spacious. The towels supplied were very big and plush. Even had a great view from the pool to the ocean. Our room was very clean, spacious, had a great view out the window, a nice large bathroom. The beds were very comfortable and the pillows didn't go flat! The only complaint about the room was just needed more plugs closer to the beds, otherwise it was excellent. There's plenty of restaurants & entertainment that you don't even have to leave if you so choose. It was our first time staying at a Hard Rock but definitely won't be the last. They certainly left a great impression and made you feel like you were very welcome and they were glad you were there. I highly recommend staying here.

We enjoyed our stay, we are smokers and appreciated our room. Unfortunately, I had to put towels to block our door due to the INTENSE marijuana smell. When we were checking out we brought it to the receptionist attention and her comment was “well you were on the smoking floor” also we weren’t the only ones to complain, but there is noting they can do. I read the guidelines for the state and it’s for Medical Marijuana only. So yes there was something that could have been done.
Lesson learned, always choose non-smoking… just really disappointed.

The rooms are beautiful and the view is nice. There needs to be more attention to details like dust on the headboards, too many chips on the beautiful furniture, and the coffee pot looked like immediate death. Other than that, I enjoyed my stay.

The staff is outstanding! Had a blast for wife's birthday, many awesome memories and made some friends too. Sarah and William at the front desk are the best! They helped us figure out a difficult situation without the frustration. We will definitely be coming back as we won five hundred bucks our last night there!

Rooms were clean and big. We had a king-sized bed and had plenty of room. They did not have ANY charging ports at all, which was a little surprising. No microwave, but when we asked about one, they brought one immediately to our room.

Rooms were nice but not 281 dollars a night nice. We stayed at the Hampton Inn in Richland, Ms the night before that were much nicer and half the price. When you get there you are charged another 100 dollars per room and I had 2 rooms. They said it could be up to 10 days before it would debited back into my account. Only one of our rooms were ready when we checked in and we didn't check in until after 4pm. Just expected more maybe I was unrealistic in my expectations.

First time to stay at Biloxi Hard Rock. Got upgraded to Platinum tower for some reason. Room was really clean and larger than expected. Beds great. Shower was wonderful with plenty of hot water. Check in was simple and quick with very friendly clerk. Every where we ate was good. Expensive but good. Casino had a wide variety of slots and tables. Only negative was only two Ultimate X video poker machines ( my chose of games). While playing drinks were plentiful and waitress were easy on the eyes. (tipping helps). Down side it rained all three days there so couldn't do much outside. Truly enjoyed stay.

The hotel itself is nice aethstetically speaking. Staff was friendly. So why three stars? Ugh the smokers! They are everywhere. I don't think they smoke where they are supposed to either. You cannot visit the casino or restaurant without walking through clouds of lung killing death murder. You also can't take kids to the restaurants until they text you that your table is ready which is another story. I did like the three head shower, but the shower door did not close the whole way, and the toilet seat kept falling down on my junk. So yeah, don't bring your kids here. Try a different venue.
Golden Nugget Biloxi Hotel & Casino is a polished establishment in Biloxi, offering well-maintained rooms, an outdoor pool, live entertainment, and a spa. Additionally, the hotel features a casino for those looking to try their luck. The premises also include amenities such as a sunbathing terrace and a golf course. Situated near St Michael's Catholic Church, it is conveniently located close to attractions like the Biloxi Iron Lighthouse and the Marine Education Center and Museum.
this hotel is an excellent choice when visiting the coast. the staff are very friendly, the casino lively and the rooms and facilities are excellent. well kept, clean, stylish and up to date. great employees all over. it can be a bit pricey, but the prices reflect those of other properties in the area and are worth more than most of the other properties, better deals on weekdays. Very nice pool area also. Good drinks, lots of fun.

Awesome stay. We used to stay here all the time before Covid hit. So I was nervous reading the reviews. However the hotel was very clean. The room was in great condition. Staff was friendly. The food was delicious. Had no issues with my teenager walking through to get from place to place. Although I don’t let her walk alone anywhere especially in place with this many people around. So I would definitely recommend a stay here. We had a great time!!!! Great place to stay! Very enjoyable trip!

I’m not sure why all of the bad reviews but our stay was wonderful. Only complaint is the hot water. Which we were told about upon arrival. But paying almost $200+ per night with no hot water is a little disappointing. Other than that, rooms were clean, spacious and had a perfect view from the 11th floor. If you have small children, the 3rd floor pool is best. H2O pool is more for an adult vibe. Overall enjoyed our stay!!
Oh yeah. There were a group of teenagers who were playing by knocking on people’s doors around midnight but my husband set them straight 🙂 control your kids please

We played here for a few hours, and it was fun. There were no big winnings, but it was good entertainment for a while. We ate dinner at Morton's and were thoroughly satisfied. The beef and fish were excellent. The service was very good, and our server had full knowledge of the menue items. We will definitely return and highly recommend this restaurant for couples or a special occasion for the family.

There’s so much going on here that I’ll break it up into sections.
Hotel: 5/5 the best hotel experience I’ve had hands down. The rooms were clean and we never had to ask for things we needed because they were abundantly available. Spend the extra money to get the room with the jacuzzi, WORTH IT. Comfortable beds as well and nice sized bathroom. Price was very reasonable too.
Spa 4.5/5 great experience and very relaxing though, I wanted just a bit more from my massage, but overall, good price and makes for a relaxing day.
Food: 4/5 many good food choices on the property, some of them leave a little to be desired but there are no shortage of choices and variety to choose from here.
Casino 4/5 honestly, it was smaller than expected, but surprisingly clean and low volume of people which is nice when you’re trying to get a table to play.
H20 Pool 5/5 Hands down one of the best parts of the vacation. Very nice and clean. Plenty of area to sit down and relax without being shoulder to shoulder. The swim up bar was top notch and the two bar tenders work extremely well and efficiently. Literally could spend a whole day here and never get bored. Nice to just sit back and relax without too many people interrupting your peace.
Overall, this was a slam dunk. Great location, close to the beach and there is a ton of food choices and activities to do within walking distance. Absolutely would stay here again. Golden nugget has my business for life anytime we come to Biloxi for any reason.

The staff is friendly and accommodating. The rooms are clean and comfortable. A varied choice of slots and table games to choose from. I think the availability of covered and monitored parking is the best!We had such a fabulous time there. We will definitely keep going back!!

Aside from a few cosmetic issues (chips and cracks) this place overall was great. There was nothing I can really complain about.
There is a lot to do here, from great dining experiences, trying your luck at the casinos, watching the games, and the amazing spa, I must say it was money well spent.
It is centrally located with an array of things to do in the surrounding area (just a 5 min drive or less away from the hotel).
Pros:
~ Lots to do
~ Everything is within a 5 minute drive from the hotel
~ The rooms were very clean
Cons:
~ There is a casino and if you are not a smoker then the smell can be a little suffocating.
~ there was no fridge or microwave in my room
~ The parking garage is poorly maintained, small and with little to no direction you’re left guessing on exactly where to park.

Really it was a just average stay, first time staying at a casino and I might have expected too much. Having both elevators from the parking garage to the casino would have been nice only one operational. You couldn't use luggage carts without having to tip the employee. Shower didn't just leak it ran a steady stream, we had to run our fan on high not to hear it. I was impressed with the Draft King's section man it was Awesome especially during the NCAA tournament. It was a quick drive to Ocean Springs MS. Love that little special secret on the Gulf Coast

I totally did not catch our dealers name at the Roulette table on the main floor. For management, she was at the table at 4pm on 4/6/2020. Absolutely wonderful experience and she was phenomenal! Me and my wife had a blast chatting and betting money at the table. Our dealer was first class and I hope you retain amazing employees like that!
Overall a great experience!

What a blast. I can't wait to plan my next trip. The hotel portion reminded me of a luxurious stay (cozy colors and big furniture). There are multiple pools onsite that look like so much fun. Multiple places to eat and plenty of slots to play. It's a lively experience with so much to do. It's in a central area that's not far from other casinos that you can visit.

Loved this casino. The swim up bar-pool is the best part. I only gave them a 4 star review because the drinks at the pool bar were very expensive. They sell buckets of beer but it's the same piece as if you were to buy them single. So there were absolutely no deals on liquor at all. I was beautiful and I will definitely return.

The lady who checked us in, she was amazing. She was so kind and very sweet. I just loved her.
All waiters and waitresses in Michael Patricks, they were great.
Our stay was fine until my 17 year old daughter and cousin were yelled at by security as they stepped off the elevator to go to the candy shop. Told them they weren't allowed to be on the casino floor alone. They said they were just getting ice cream and security told her she needed to go back upstairs. Of course, when I went down with them, that particular security person was not there any longer.
Why put the candy shop right by the elevators if the "under 21" crowd can't attend alone?

A little over-rated for me. Best part was the pool but drinks were horrible. Taste like juice with no alcohol. Rooms were nothing special but spacious. Wasn't worth $300 a night. Food was good but over-priced for the amount you got....at Bubba's. Not kid friendly at all. The places the kids go was within the gambling area so they watch you like a hawk and have to walk a certain path through the casino. Any wrong moves or turns, they are on you!

Review based on gaming floor alone, during a Friday afternoon. Plenty to do with a good variety of games. Several bars on the floor plus a Starbucks and gumbo restaurant. During our visit, several games were down, but ultimately did not impact our visit. One of the better casinos in Biloxi.

We had a reservation for 3 nights but decided to check out after 1 night. The pillows in the room are small and nasty. They were yellowish. The bathroom door look like a storage door. The ironing board is old with holes which led me to not to use it. My husband also left his reader glasses there at the spa room on 11/26/23 and he went back to the front desk of the spa 30 minutes before closing. However, the front desk lady was not helpful stating that they were people there, and she didn’t go looking for it. Josh who was the massage therapist stated it wasn’t there. My husband was trying to tell them the exact place he left it but they ignored him. We decided to give 1 star of the service due to the rudeness from most of the staff. I called the security for Lost and Found, and he was very rude not willing to help as well. Truly a disappointing experience.

Husband & I stayed Thursday-Monday for short getaway. Room was very nice with great view (junior suite). Linens & floors were clean, but mirror, faucet, sink & shower glass were not cleaned. Instead of calling service I cleaned it myself. Seemed quicker since we needed to freshen up upon arrival. Casino is pleasant & not smokey considering smoking is allowed on the floor. Every restaurant service & food was great. Casino staff were friendly and attentive. Spa massage was wonderful & quite affordable pricing for a resort. Josh did an amazing job. Will definitely stay again!

The room was a good size. It could have been more clean. The casino is a casino. There's a lot of smoking there. But it wasn't so terrible that we couldn't stand to walk through it. The only real downfall is me and my husband were in the hot tub and when it turned off trash started coming out of the filter part. And in that was a period pad and a toilet paper roll. I have no idea how that was overlooked but it was. Needless to say we got out and take showers. The pools and hot tub do smells straight up like chlorine. We did get two drinks from the bar and they were 15 a piece which probably isn't bad but it's a little steep.
Maryjane Kersey — Google review
The room was nice. The beds were somewhat comfortable (it all depends on preference). There aren't enough people working at the casino so it was horrible trying to eat at any of the restaurants and don't even think about asking for clean towels. It took them 2 days, with repeated requests, to get my towels. The safe in our room was "the only one that hadn't been fixed and/or updated" as per the guy who had to force it to open. They do not clean the rooms if you are a long stay guest. I do understand the restrictions due to covid. Overall, this is a nice place to stay but it does have a few issues.

I checked in Saturday night and paid upwards of $330. The air conditioner thermostat was not working in room 601. I thought it would adjust to a fair setting to get a good nights’ rest. It was really hot! The carpet in the hallway smelled damp. I was also awakened around 7 am because the house keeping facility was right across the hall (they were very loud). It was the worst night of sleep that I've had in a while. When bringing this to the attention to the front desk staff, it was swept under the rug. At that price point, I thought I should’ve been well taken care of, and at least better customer service from the front desk staff.

It needs an update. Double queen room was nice, spacious, very large tub. It was also dusty. I found it odd that the bar at Bubba gumps closes when they get busy. Never seen that before. There were 6 seats open but they refused an order... of course the smoke smell but you expect that at a casino. All in all, I'd stay again.

I stayed at the GN during our Conference in July, rooms were nice, although they don't clean the rooms daily it plainly states, in the room, what their cleaning policy is. Check in was a breeze as was checkout. Ms Brenda at the front desk is amazing, she was so helpful. Enjoyed my stay.

Lovely casino/hotel. Friendly, knowledgeable staff.
Sadly, they are very short-handed hence no room service or maintenance. Our room was perfectly clean with a lovely view if the bay.
The shower door was missing the bottom seal so it leaked into the bathroom floor.
We would happily return despite that issue.

Resort fee although I’m not sure how this place is a resort…also their website says their rooms are “luxury” when they don’t even have a microwave. I had leftovers that ended up going to waste, which was pretty unfortunate since we were spending quite a bit of money to stay there as it was. Just tacky for a hotel to do that, in my opinion. The rooms were okay. Spacious but you can tell they need work. There was no “fan” option on the AC (I like to keep a fan on overnight for white noise). Not a huge deal though. The nice thing about the hotels was you couldn’t hear your neighbors, which was nice. The pool was nice, but the drinks were severely overpriced and were pretty much just juice.
The Hard Rock casino was a way better vibe overall so we ended up hanging out there most of the time. The pool was also much better. I will say Golden Nugget has better hot tubs, but it’s just too hot this time of the year to enjoy.
Next year I’ll stay at a regular hotel nearby that has full amenities at a more affordable price, and just go to the casinos/pools on the days that I want to. I would’ve saved more money and had an even better time had I done that in the first place.

Room security/ lock didn't work and some random person walked in. Customer service was worse than usual as there was no relief for the fault lock... we were told there were no clean rooms available. Gambling was awful, without even being to play before the slots took thousands. The entire casino and hotel seems to be in complete disrepair and aging quickly without investment in any real maintenance or updating. It really used to be a good casino and hotel, but we are done and won't be back.

We had an enjoyable stay. The rooms were nice and clean. The staff were all very nice and we observed many people working to keep the experience pleasant for all. The casino was nice and I like that they have a smoke free floor for players that have preference to be in a more fresh environment. I also like the location tucked away near the edge of the strip along the Gulf of Mexico near the bridge over into Ocean Springs. Convenient for taking a short drive to more shopping and beautiful experiences.

Location is great, next to beach, near dining and etc. But the rooms- you can hear everything! Like the guy coughing and vomiting next door. Or the person using the bathroom on the other side of us. The rooms itself was nice. Smells like smoke, even though it's non smoking rooms.

Always a great place to call home during our stays in Biloxi. Wonderful associates and staff, great restaurants and choices inside the casino, and an unbeatable location close enough to everything to make it convenient. This place is the worst experience on the Biloxi strip. The staff seems like carnival workers and acts like them. The room air conditioner never worked even though we asked for it to be fixed. We had no AC the whole three days we were there. The pool area is pretty nice, but it turns into a daycare very quickly. I would stay anywhere else besides this place in Biloxi, the rooms are nasty and old and outdated.

Lots of butterflies & tons of different kinds of plants. The short trail by the visitor’s center is only 3/4 mile long, so perfect for a quick afternoon walk through the woods. Amazing birds. I went in the afternoon and evening and didn't see anything. I went back early the next morning. Nothing again. Talked to a staff as he got to work. He pointed out their call so they were nearby. Waited about half an hour and 5 of them walked out of the grassy savanna behind the visitors center. It was definitely worth the wait.

Had such an amazing time at this place. We learned several things at the visitor's center and the short film is well worth seeing. There is a short trail next to the center that takes you through the wet pine savanna and bayou where you can see pitcher plants and other carnivorous plants, depending on the time of year. If you're traveling on I-10 I highly recommend stopping for a quick trip here.

Beautiful and peaceful walk through the Gulf Savanna; nothing budding yet; no birds (other than 3 cranes). We saw them swoop in over us during the walk, and they observed them in fields. Did an alligator sunning himself while on the walk. He slithered down the bank and swam down stream away from us.
I took my two kids here to avoid the rain in Gulf Shores today. It was only a 90 min drive from Gulf Shores and was worth it. We all had so much fun! The boat ride was a blast (think speed with spins and smiles all around). My son even said it was better than some rides at Disney. I liked how we get being given little tidbits of information about the capabilities of the boat, the trees in the swamp, areas that would be gator nesting grounds, and information about the alligators themselves. I would highly recommend for anyone thinking of going. In fact, the kids keep asking if we can go back tomorrow.

Go here. Go here. Go here! That's all I can say. You will not regret it. Tons and tons of alligators to look at and feed. You can also hold a baby. So cool and surprisingly soft. But the highlight that can't be missed is the air boat ride. Such a cool experience. So fun seeing the gators in the water and having them swim right next to the boat. And the boat ride is pretty cool. Almost like an ATV on the water. But louder and way driftier. Just do it all; you won't regret it.

This was super fun. Our driver was great. I think his name was Pup or Puck? The boat was loud AF so hard for me to understand. Either way, he was awesome.
We legit saw wild gators. I fed some of the refuge gators. The boat was fun and exciting. Overall just a good damn time.
Would go back.

So much fun!!!! Best swamp tour we've ever been to. The tour guide did a wonderful job of driving us through the swamp and was very knowledgeable. We saw numerous Gators, and I thought it was neat that the Gators would swim up right next to the boat. The tour guide fed the Gators marshmallows, so that made it where they would hear us coming and would wait to get a "treat". I loved that we could feed the Gators they had in the fenced in swamp area, and the walkway that sat over the Swamp was really cool to walk on. It let you get right up above the Gators, and you could drop food right next to them. I also enjoyed seeing The baby Gators on exhibit. They also had a little gift shop with some fun souvenirs!!! Wait times are very minimal and they offer Military discounts as well

This place was great. There were a lot of gators to see, including up close. The guides were knowledgeable and made the tour interesting and more enjoyable. Riding through the swamp in an airboat is certainly not an everyday experience and we learned about the various native vegetation and other wildlife, as well as the alligators.

This place was sooo much fun. Well worth the drive and the price is very reasonable. Hands down such a great attraction to take time out for. They feed the gators on Saturday so it was the perfect day to go. Everyone had a blast on the boat tour and the captain was amazing and informative. We will be returning.

My hubby and I went yesterday. It was fun! Loved seeing the huge alligators and I even held a baby one. I loved the boat ride too. Riding through the swamp was exciting. Joe, our guide, was knowledgeable and told some fun alligator jokes.

On our continuing journey of the Gulf Coast, we saw advertising for Gulf Coast Gator Ranch & Tours. Wow, it was amazing and very informative. Our guide, Joe, was fun and answered all our questions. Joe loves his alligator jokes and we encourage you to send them to him! The alligators are so cool! The stories unique. We really enjoyed this farm, with the boat ride taking about 30 minutes. All is clean, restrooms, gift shop, but remember you are in a swamp like area!

We had so much fun! We were able to get in and get going within 10 minutes of arrival. The airboat tour is just the right amount of time, with gators and history about the swamp and way of life. Our captain was extremely knowledgeable and answered alllll of our many questions. His alligator jokes were my personal favorite. We had looked at many other options that were far more expensive. We got to do everything we wanted for half the price we were looking at others for. We got to hold a baby gator (Squirt), fed the adult gators in the swamp, and took an air boat ride all for less than $100. There were 2 of us. We are already recommending Gulf Coast Gator Ranch to everyone we know at home for the next time they are on vacation.

This place is a Harvest Host member which means you can stay in your RV or camper over night for one night if you are a member. It was our 1st Harvest Host stop and we are definitely hooked! We arrived after closing time to find a smaller parking lot than we expected and are glad we CALLED IN ADVANCE. We are about 45ft long and fit in fine. If you travel in a group there may not be space for more than 3 or so rigs. I absolutely loved this place. The price for a ride on an airboat is very reasonable. All the people are very friendly and informative, very quick to answer questions. Go and scratch one off your bucket list. Pictures are worth 1000 words...

This place is a must visit for out of state visitors! I will always remember this unique attraction. I took my young kids and they loved seeing the gators and swamp life. They do a great job at keeping the gators healthy, clean bathrooms, and safe environment. Tim was our guide and treated our group like royalty!

If I could leave better than 5 stars I would - hands down one of the best places we've visited since coming to Mississippi. We had Tim as our boat guide, he was really informative, pointed out lots of cool things in the swamp, and overall made the day even more fun. They also offer tickets for holding a baby gator, which is 100% worth it.
I highly recommend checking this place out. The gift shop is also reasonably priced with some great souvenirs.

I went on Good Friday and just reached in time around 5 pm. I had a quick tour of the Alligators 🐊, including buying the Souvenirs at the shop and holding a live baby Aligator. Captain David who took for the tour and the boat ride was fabulous. He explained in detail about the Area and the Nature around. I had one more family with me in the Boat tour, it was like a private tour for us. In the middle of the water a 4 feet alligator came around our boat the Captain handled it cooly by giving some treat. I was wondering if it was a 14 feet Alligator what we could have done. It’s an open boat so throughout the trip it was scary but looks like not much Alligator there other than the guest appearance which we encountered. Only tragedy about the boat is it doesn’t have a reverse gear so in a narrow channel if we encounter an Alligator attack from front then it would be a difficult situation. Captain David was quite confident about the lake area. We had a grand time.

This is a gem of a place. Worth every bit of the 4hr drive from Birmingham. Friendly and attentive staff. Our air boat guide/captain (Tim) was funny, and full of gator facts. We saw two wild gators during our boat ride, and they swam right up to the boat! They love those marshmallows. The ranch area is filled with some pretty big gators that you can feed ($5). You can also pay a little extra ($5) to hold a smaller gator as well. We’ll definitely be back again someday. Total visit time was about 1hr.

The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, they take their time to teach you about the gators. The alligators are AWESOME! There are so many to see, rescued from all over, and you can even hold a baby gator!

Gulf Islands National Seashore, spanning 135,000 acres along the Gulf Coast of Mississippi and Florida, is a must-visit destination for outdoor enthusiasts. Visitors can indulge in activities such as swimming, boating, camping, fishing and birdwatching at its numerous white-sand beaches including Fort Pickens Beach. Historical landmarks like Fort Barrancas and Fort Pickens bear testimony to the area's Civil War history while Naval Live Oaks boasts an impressive trail network for hiking enthusiasts.
Very serene setting if you want to enjoy peaceful beaches. We camped for 10 nights near to the beaches and could hear the waves all day and night. Very soothing experience. The area has a ton of bike trails, if you want to explore by bike. Langdon beach has restrooms and water taps / outdoor shower to wash off beach sand after a long day of play at the beach. Sunsets and sunrises during December cannot be described in words.

Plenty of room, good facilities, friendly staff, and a beautiful beach. Entry fee is well worth it if you are going more than once. Plenty of room to be in the waves without going deep.

The Davis Bayou area in Ocean Springs, Mississippi offers scenic views of the Mississippi Sound and the marshy, swampy areas that provide habitat to native alligators, turtles and a variety of large birds (including Osprey and Herons). We like to walk near the boat ramp and the area south of the visitors center for the best water views. Don't miss this wonderful destination if you are passing through this area.

Such a wonderful peaceful spot. I may not only is it gorgeous, but it pays tribute to those people who have fought the good fight and served in our military so that we can sleep in peace at night. Thank you to all those who served as well while we're on the subject. I'm a disabled vet and although it was not the funnest time in my life, because of those people that are fighting every single day protecting me I would gladly grab a gun and head back. But this is a great little area, what I normally do especially during the daytime you know when it feels good outside, go by and get me some food to go, and then I just run over there it's running center of town so I run over there and eight, look at the water it's peaceful is quiet, it's just it's something really special I really enjoy going over there.

A very spirit filled parish in the heart of Mobile. I have been to Saturday Mass here several times while traveling in town. Very spacious church with a beautiful interior. Stained glass is very impressive.
PAUL RITZ — Google review
The magnificent church, modeled on Roman basilica architecture, fronts a pocket park downtown, on ground it has occupied since the early 1700s. The interior is massive. Saints and artwork decorate the ceilings and giant rotunda. Stained glass windows on either side of the nave date from the 1890s to the early 1900s. In short, without getting into the politics of religion, it’s a spectacularly ambitious cathedral. Remember to feed the poor box on the way out.

Fist off I would like to say that the architecture of the building is absolutely amazing. As I walked through the massive hand crafted wooden doors I felt goosebumps on my body. As I continued to explore the building there were so many things that made me feel the history in this immaculate structure. I was moved by not only the architecture but also by the religious history present. I proceeded to light a votive for my mother who is fighting Leukemia. It just so happens that she was getting her routine treatment. When I spoke to her after she got home from her treatment she went on to tell me how long the treatment had taken that day. She said she was exhausted but knew she had to drive herself home that night down dark country roads. She went on to tell me that when she got on the dark roads this bright star appeared and seemed to light the road up for her. She told me that the star shined on the road until she finally made it to the lite highway near her house. This left me speeches since I had not informed her that I lit a candle for her until the next day. I don't know if this was a coincidence or something special happening. Thanks for the opportunity to visit your magnificent building and I look forward to visiting the Church every time I visit Mobile!!

It's a habit when travelling with my love to visit local cathedrals and basilicas. The Basilica of the Immaculate Conception in Mobile is one of the most beautiful I've ever seen. The architecture, statuary, and surrounding grounds are incredibly beautiful and the atmosphere inside is positively supernal. Don't miss the stairs down to the smaller chapel / crypt below the main floor, and make sure you visit the statues in the grounds to the left of the main doors. A simply beautiful place and worth a visit.

The Mardi Gras Museum is one of my favorite things in Mobile. The eight dollar admission includes a ten minute film, a float room where you can take photos on a float that feels like it's moving, picture opportunities to be queen and king and a creepy looking fire truck. Then a lot of mardi gras memorabilia including dresses and dresses. Really cool ongoing tradition.

Fun museum and excellent tour. Besides the amazing displays, all volunteers at work here are amazing. The tour guide (Mrs. Jeanie) had a lovely explanation of everything going on. Afterwards, another colleague (apologies, we didn't catch your name) went out of her way to help us with tips on what to do around the city. We took up many of those, and our time in Mobile was a more rich experience because of it. This museum and all it's lovely people are highly recommended.

It was an interesting museum that taught us a lot of the Mobile Carnival. We had to watch a 10 minute video on it which was very slow but interesting. Then we got to see some floats and outfits but I do believe it was overpriced than what we got.

Fun experience!! Just make sure you call the number to confirm that the ferry is actually running. We drove out twice only to find it wasn't running. We didn't have to pass the sign at the beginning of Fort Morgan Rd, and we didn't know to call - since we are new to the area - but we know now! The third drive out was different...the first ferry wasn't running, and the second ferry of the day was up in the air. We walked around the fort and went back to check on the second ferry and it was a go!
It's around $15 per vehicle and $6 per person for the trip over to Dauphin Island.
It was a great experience and the staff was friendly.
Just make sure you engage your parking brake once you park your vehicle on the ferry, and turn off your lights...there was a guy whose battery died on the 30 minute trip over to Dauphin.
Take some quarters so you can look through the telescope type viewers :)

Very affordable round trip to and from Dauphin Island. You can walk on, take a bike on or drive a vehicle on. There are two upper platforms to view from. If you are not in a car, you will be standing, but it's not a really long passage. It is nice and part of the total experience of the island.

Watch for dolphins!! We saw several. This was a fun, low stress adventure. I typically suffer severe motion sickness but found the ride smooth, except when a service boat came near us and caused some waves.
We went up on the viewing deck and watched the ocean the whole time.

It was easy to get on and off the ferry. You’re able to get out and walk around. We took the 11:45 am ferry to DI and the 5 pm ferry back to FM. On the way back we seen dolphins. It is hot and no cover. Can’t have vehicles on, so make sure to bring a hat and some drinks. It was a great experience!

We drove our car onto the ferry. Got out and stood on the upper deck. Saw dolphins out in the distance. And went on the last trip of the day. The sun was starting to set which made for an amazing ride and photos. It felt like a sunset cruise. We had just missed the previous ferry, so we got out of the car ferry lane, where you wait to drive onto the ferry, and drove around the corner and checked out Ft. Pickens while we waited for the ferry to show up. Then drove back and got in the back of the line when we were finished looking around the fort. No one cared that we left for about 45 minutes. This was not only fun, but a great experience! And made for some awesome sunset photos. I usually get motion sickness on boats, but this was such a smooth ride, I didn't need any Dramamine. I did perfectly fine without it. You can remain in your car, if you want to. But there are benches a top. Enjoy!

The boys enjoyed the ferry ride. My dad wasn’t able to get out of his car to walk around and look around due to the cars being packed on so tightly. I wish there had been more room on the ferry to get out and look around. Like an upper deck to see more. Either way I think it’s worth it to take the ferry across the bay. They charge per vehicle and person in the vehicle. That wasn’t clear in the website to me.

My husband and I rode the Mobile BayFerry to Dauphin Island, yesterday. It was so exciting! It was such a beautiful day and it was breezy, even though the sun was hot. It was still nice. Great ride and a great price ($6 per person for the day and $15 each way for a car) for a afternoon boat ride across the bay. The workers were very helpful and up beat. Was a pretty cool experience to ferry your vehicle across the water instead of driving out of the way to get to fort Morgan. Probably doesn't save much time from waiting to board and inboard. But still pretty cool to get out and check out the ocean as you are transported. The only thing they need is a bathroom. Having to sit and in a line of vehicles for half an hour and then travel across the ocean on a windy chilly day we were definitely holding it in lol.
Cody Willis — Google review
Such a small ride and so expensive to do so. Makes sense if you are going to make the trip to and from, but if only traveling over once, not worth it. I would rather drive.
Roomy tent & RV sites on a forested property with a modern bathhouse, playground & beach access.
This is a great location for exploring the island by bike or on foot. There are also golf carts for rent a half mile away. There is an aquarium, and a bird sanctuary within walking distance of the park. The old fort is a block from the park. The Ferry is right outside the park. It is next door to the state school. Beach access is great. The park entrance and exit are gated. You get a card for access with a 20 dollar deposit thats refunded when the card is returned.
The park has everything you would expect. It was clean, easy to hook up. There are a lot of feral and domesticated cats hanging around the park. Some friendly, most avoid the guests. They are a bit noisy at night, but not enough to keep us up. The Birds in the AM are much louder. Overall, a beautiful location. I would stay here again.

Currently no beach access(Feb 20, 2024)!! If you are coming here for the beach access find somewhere else, the entire beach is torn up and there is loud construction equipment working well past midnight unfortunately. If you are in a camper you are probably fine from the noise but if you are in a tent good luck with sleep. Otherwise, this is a fantastic campground, cleanest bathrooms I've ever seen at a campground, great people staying there. As a solo female traveler this was the perfect spot for me to set up except no beach access and I was in a tent so got no sleep. Left after 1 night instead of 4 and while they told me it was nonrefundable they did not disclaim that the beach was closed or the noise.

We recently purchased an overland tent for our jeep and this was our first time camping in it. We are actually really new to camping in general. We had a wonderful experience. This is one of our favorite trips we have taken as a family of 3. We typical go to the 30a area but it being spring break we wanted some place more affordable and low key. This was just that. We camped for 5 nights. The bathrooms were spotless and cleaned daily. We loved the convenience to the beach from the tent sites. We also enjoyed being so close to the ferry, the bird sanctuary, the aquarium, and Fort Gaines. There were several cats roaming and mentioned in other reviews below but they didn’t bother us. The campsite had a picnic table but not fire ring. We came prepared though with our solo stove. It is a small campground but quiet. If you are visiting for the first time I would have meals planned with you. The island has very limited meal options and the days they are open vary. We tried to hit a few places but each time they were closed. Just a heads up. Laundry closes at 8. There was a little building with tables and puzzles too that the office kept open during the overnight tornado threat which was helpful for us since we were tent camping. Oh and there are quite a few raccoon friends at night but to be expected with food. The gator at the bird sanctuary is just a short walk away from the tent section. We went to visit him a couple times. #dontfeedthegator.

I loved this place. Yeah it's no the five star experience. But in my opinion if that's what your going for then you shouldn't be camping. I could live here for sure. Yeah there's cats and racoons. It's had it's share of hurricanes. It's still clean and a quarter mile to a private beach. Ahhh.

The campground was extremely clean, and the staff was courtesy and helpful. Even though the campground was full, it wasn't noisy. My daughter and I stayed in the tent section, and the price was reasonable. The walking path through the woods was beautiful and led to a gorgeous white sand beach. The water was brown and full of kelp when we went, but there wasn't the trash you find at bigger beaches on the emerald coast. We saw dolphins, blue heron, crabs, and lots of little fish. All in all, I would recommend this campground to anyone looking to get away.

We were there in October of 2022 and will be back for may and some of June and I absolutely can't wait. I have not one negative thing to say about this lovely campground. The office staff is extremely sweet and helpful. The bathrooms were always clean and such a great convenience. The location is great . I absolutely love the path to the beach and most of all the family feel. The sites/lots are a great size as well and the prices are affordable. They make it to where you can still be abel to go and enjoy a vacation as we all know it's hard these days. I highly recommend this campground. ❤️❤️❤️

This place was very quiet and not too crowded. This is a good place to come if you like walking on trails, birdwatching, or riding a bike. Also the aquarium and fort are right next to the campground so you can walk over and tour them both very easily.
The ferry is right across the street in case you'd like to try that.
Hands-on exhibits showcasing the 4 key habitats of coastal Alabama as part of the Dauphin Sea Lab.
Loved every stitch of the aquarium inside and out. Our 2.5yr old had a blast looking at all the fish and telling them to come out. Petting the shark and sting rays was a lot of fun. The tanks are very well set up. They had onesies for our 6mo old too!

Nice little aquarium with some nice displays. Very informative for the local area. Great little ice cream shop on site

I was really impressed with the Alabama Aquarium. The exhibits were great, informative and well maintained. My kids loved the ‘please touch’ sections throughout the building. The staff were kind and helpful.
My oldest (9 years old) got a little bored, but my younger two were very interested and loved the information panels/touch screen.

This place is great to visit. You get to touch a horseshoe crab and a sting ray. I really liked the sea horses and turtles. It wasn't really that expensive for the adventure. I would recommend going here to anyone. Very educational for children.

Second year visiting on a field trip. Definitely worth checking out. The staff are really great with children and do a great job explaining things. The dinning hall was very good! Overall great experience. Love the beach access as well as the docks over looking the bay. There is also an old fort and a bird sanctuary nearby.

This was a lot of fun. The stingrays and seahorses were our favorite. The jellyfish tanks were being cleaned so we didn't get to see them. Overall it's a must see! We could relax and take our time strolling around looking at a lot of different types of sea creatures.

Great experience and friendly knowledge staff. A great location to visit for the afternoon, located near the fort and the ferry, lots of local water-life to see, tanks and facility are very well kept. This is a smaller local aquarium and sea lab so it’s not like the large aquariums in New Orleans or Mississippi. However the price is super affordable, it’s a great place to learn about the bay and gulf coast. Highly recommend.

My husband and I rode the ferry to Dauphine Island and went to the Alabama Aquarium. It was so interesting and we loved it more than most Aquariums we have been to. There were several children and adults and all were interested in the marine life at the aquarium. It was informative and had so many different subjects to learn about. We loved it! We bought a lot of items at the gift shop afterwards.

A small aquarium that offers a great experience. All tanks were clean & water was clear, fish seemed to love being engaged/interacted with. Estuariam is nice as well, beautiful butterflies! Great way to spend a little time.

Smaller aquarium but still worth the visit. They have some great displays that show off the local environment and so many hands on displays for kids (and adults). Great customer service and we appreciated the student discount for my wife and I who are both in school. It was a great visit!

Cheap entry fee and some neat exhibits including a petting tank with sting rays, hammerhead shark, and some fish. Plenty of neat tanks to look at. Volunteers are obviously passionate. Ultimately it's a pretty small aquarium and there's not a ton there, but it's worth a visit if you're on the island especially with kids.

Fun for all ages! This is a great place to take the kids/grandkids to see all of the local inhabitants. When you love the island it's great to know all of the types of animals and fish you may encounter. Inside the aquarium is only part of the experience, be sure to walk around the boardwalk area outside. The little information stations are packed with details. There are plenty of places for photos and outside there is a tank where you can touch sting rays and a shark. It's not overly expensive and they do offer discounts for larger groups and military!

It is a small aquarium, but it is very informative.
Loved that they let you touch the stingray.
We had a good time here and definitely recommend you to visit it.

Nice family aquarium. Disclaimer. If you have been to Georgia Aquarium before this is a way smaller scale but they do a great job and provide a great experience. Plenty of information to read through out about the bay and Gulf coast environments and marine life. Some marine life included sea horses, puffer fish, clown fish, octopus and a small shark. The highlights tho is definitely the stingray petting area. We had a great time.

It is a nice aquarium that would be a must see space for families with young children up to 10 years of age. The highlight was the touch pool. Rays swim up to your hand and make contact.
This is a good place to learn about local species and to have an aquarium experience.

Great experience. Showcases our Gulf Coast marine habitat. Just a short distance to the ferry and Fort Gaines. We will visit again!

My associate and I elected to visit this aquarium, as we are interested in stingrays. A student discount was provided to us, though other discounts may apply. Unfortunately, we were unable to pet any of the rays, though maybe it was just our nerves that got in the way.
The facilities were quite impressive and well-maintained, though they were not quite at the scope of other aquariums. This is not to the Sea Lab's detriment, however, as the exhibits they had were enjoyable. We especially enjoyed the chronicles of "Mr. Sand and his friends" on the boardwalk outside of the Sea Lab.
In the gift shop, my associate and I found ourselves a new companion, an orange octopus by the name of "Daphne". Her presence on our trip was a welcome one. In addition, the concessions building was enjoyable. Customer service was exemplary.

Great place! Lots of interesting animals to see and outside they have an area where you can touch some, like stingrays, horseshoe crab, small hammerhead sharks, etc. Awesome place to visit and very reasonable prices.

Price was very reasonable..We touched stingrays and were taught about a few aquatic sea creatures..finished up by enjoying a delicious Ice-cream cone and buying a few souvenirs at the shops..The kids really enjoyed their day.

Loved seeing all the different fish. Not a huge aquarium only takes an hour or so to enjoy everything. The tank of rays that you can touch is the highlight of the place.
An 1800s brick fort used in the Civil War, with tunnels & bunkers plus a blacksmith & cannon firing.
What a wonderful surprise. This place is just amazing with all the brick work, tunnels and living quarters. It’s definitely worth the trip
Jeff Fugate — Google review
This was definitely worth the trip! Very interesting. So much history here.
Tickets are 9$ for adults and 5$ for kids. Kids up to 4 years of age enter free. Make sure you have comfortable shoes and clothes on because you’ll do some climbing on steep stairs. The whole process took us about an hour and a half and you could easily spend longer (it was very hot day).
The whole fort is build very interesting. Divided in to sections and very well planned. You see how the soldiers lived (beds made out of wood and ropes, just hand built wood chairs and tables, they even had on site welding area) the original officers quarters was 3 stories tall but only first floor standing due to upper floors were destroyed during Battle of Mobile bay. You can also see a copy of original written letters from soldiers to their family’s (heartbreaking because some never made it home)..
If you have kids definitely take them on this tour! They need to see and learn the history while this is still standing.. Thank you for keeping it maintained and open to public!

This was one of our favorite places on the island! Having teenagers I was expecting the “oh great, another museum” but instead as we were leaving all three were talking about how awesome it was!
Make sure to visit the Bastion Magazines on the corners. These rooms were awesome!

Loved touring Fort Gaines. It was a self guided tour with brochure and lots of details. There was a museum and section with letters written by the soldiers. A definite must see for history.

Surprisingly cool little fort, definitely takes you back in time to what it was like to serve there during the 1800s. Overall it was very clean those showing some age (wood) and some rust, it had just rained, so it was pretty soggy with puddles all over the place. The ladies that worked up front were very nice, and it cost nine dollars for adults to enter. The little museum was really neat and I got to see Coast Guard helicopters do operations on the water while I was there. Definitely worth the visit 😊

Fantastic experience. I highly recommend both Fort Gaines and Fort Morgan on the same trip. Seeing how forts with so much similar history developed differently.
The ferry was a nice break between the walking at the forts.

Still enjoyed the trip though!

This is the second Confederate type for that I've been to including the one in Charleston which was amazing as well and we loved every minute of it me and my family and friends spent a couple hours touring there and we wish we had more time great museum wonderful gift shop and great tell you to spend a couple hours before you catch the ferry off Dauphin Island
William Carrell — Google review
Cool, Civil War era fort overlooking the gulf and Mobile Bay. Updated over the years until it became completely obsolete. You enter through the gift shop where you also purchase tickets. I'm spoiled where I come from cause most stuff like this is free or $5 or less to get in. So $9 felt steep. I did a pretty a pretty quick tour over about an hour, but if you stopped and read everything you could probably triple that time.
Nice views over the ocean and you get a surreal feeling as you walk some of the tunnels knowing men garrisoned this place for over a 100 years. Part of that time during the Civil War. A cool experience. The museum isn't huge, but they pack a lot of stuff in.
Minimal shade once you get inside the fort, so if it's a bright, hot day, plan accordingly. The museum is air conditioner if you need a respite.

Nice historical place to visit. If you're on Dauphin Island you have to come here. This is the only place we kept seeing dolphins. Also the museum is very nice here and just a great place to walk around and one of the best parts is that let you bring your dogs.

Such a neat find. We were exploring Dauphin Island specifically for the beach and decided to stop here. There was plenty of parking and it wasn’t overcrowded. There was a nice little gift shop and museum. The entrance is fee is $10.

We had time to spare before the ferry ride. So we decided to walk down the street towards the aquarium. When we got there, I saw Fort Gaines! It's was $10.00 per person, not sure about kids. They had a small gift shop and another small room with a historical book. You get a map with points of interest. We spend our time exploring and enjoying the views. Also, the restroom was clean.

Excellent historical site. Well restored to tell a tale of sacrifice and war.
Somewhat interactive, the site explains itself but they do have markers and points of interest with explanations of each.
Great for history lovers, families and those looking for something to do.

This place is so cool! Worth every penny of the admission. Didn't look like a lot from the outside, and we thought we'd probably spend 30 minutes there. But we found ourselves amazed that 2 hours had passed when we finished viewing all the great things to see at this historic landmark! Highly recommend a visit if you are on the island. I am not even that interested in history but found myself soaking up every bit of info available.

Very interesting. Even with it being so cold there was so much to experience. I especially loved reading the letters the soldiers wrote to their loved ones. If only the walls could talk! A wonderful place that makes the past come alive. The good, the bad, and even the ugly.

Very good place to visit while you are on the island. Perfect for a walk in to the history. Clean surroundings and parking lot just a front of the main entrance. It is close to the public beach with another parking (paid).
Definitely worth visiting and learning about the area and history.

This fort is a very well-preserved piece of history!
We enjoyed exploring at our own pace and discovering staircases and tunnels that lead to other parts of the fort. If you're traveling with kids there are plenty of ramps and good staircases to use to get around.
Lots of history here and their pamphlet did a good explaining the point of the different buildings and rooms.
An interesting piece of history!
Elizabeth Fehring — Google review
We visited the fort with a group of about 16 of us (and because of our size, we got the group rate of just $5/person instead of $10 for adults).
I thought the fort was well-taken care of or restored. Various parts of it are marked with numbers that correspond to information online. We were also treated to a cannon-firing demonstration.
The kids were intrigued by the various rooms of the fort, trying to figure out what some of them would have been used for. A neat piece of history to explore.
USS Alabama Battleship is a museum in Mobile, Alabama that commemorates the battles fought by American sailors during World War II. The museum includes exhibits about the ship and its history as well as guided tours for visitors.
$5.00 to get into the park and $15.00 to take the tour. I was here for a ceremony and took a tour of the grounds. Other than the USS Alabama, there are airplanes and tanks, as well as a small museum.
There is a veterans memorial right after you enter the park. Definitely worth the trip, a lot to see and take in.

This experience was amazing we spent 6 hours touring this site. Everyone should visit to better understand history. This museum provides a deeper appreciation of the sacrifices that were made defending our freedom. Donations are appreciated to help preserve this priceless piece of history! The retired volunteer service personnel were a wealth of knowledge. This would make a great class or group trip.

The folks who handle this park have truly done a wonderful thing. With the limited support they get, things keep improving and more and more history is restored! The USS Drum and USS Alabama are great places to bring your family! They have a great system for you to view the ship and have done a wonderful job at preserving these two great monuments! They also host several events throughout the year! If you are any where near or just love history this place is for you!!!!! If you go make sure to plan a full day! They have so much to view and read. They also have a gift shop and food cart!

What a wonderful place. It is loaded with so much memorabilia from keeps, planes, submarine and of the USS Alabama battleship.
Self guided tour of everything but very informative plaques and papers and the battleship is well marked with colors and numbers.
You can go into both the submarine and the Alabama.
So much history and so much you don't know.
The only problem is it can be cold and slippery. Make sure you dress for it. Plan to spend 4 hours easily.
Darla Medile — Google review
This battleship was SO awesome. You can go in and out of most of the ship but just be mindful of small children and older adults. The stairs to go up the different levels of the ship are steep and there are lips at the beginning of most of them. There are bathrooms on the ship if needed. The staff is wonderful and very friendly and I’d recommend for kids ages 7 and older. There is also a submarine but there was so much to do we will have to come back!

Wear comfortable shoes because you don’t want to miss a thing on this ship or the submarine with your grandchild! Fascinating stories, delightful perspectives from every member of the ship’s crew, and info on ALL aspects of naval life including a glimpse into the Captain’s Quarters. Sit behind the gunnery & armaments to feel their power while goosebumps shiver up your spine or just try to imagine life in those confined spaces on board. Quite an adventure.

Amazing museum! Very glad I got to go! I only went on the "yellow" your (magazine, guns, and superstructure) but there were many other self-guided tours that I would have liked to go on. Regardless, it was an amazing museum! USS Drum was also very nice as well! Would definitely recommend visiting if you are in the area!

We spent hours here exploring the ship and submarine.
So many places to explore, up and down stairs (wear comfortable shoes). The ship is well-maintained and you will learn a lot about the sailors life at sea.
The tour is self guided, so make sure you grab a brochure. It's super big and you're able to go into most of it.
Take your time and really appreciate all the work they've put into maintaining this amazing ship.

This place was awesome. Enjoyed the rich history. Enjoyed the submarine experience. Above all my favorite thing was the engine room of the shop. Hands down some of the coolest things. Our scout troop stayed the night and I would have enjoyed spending more time on board had I of known they allowed people to explore so much of the ship. This was fantastic for the boys to explore around just as much as it was for the adults. I absolutely recommend visiting and staying the night if you can. Be aware the racks you'll sleep in are very rigid so expect to basically feel as though you slept on the floor. Hope this is helpful.

Amazing experience: We got to learn about the ship and the submarine.
I took us like a good 2 1/2 hours to walk the ship and submarine, we enjoyed it, but some parts are very hot, bring water with you.

Lots of fun here! It's great that you have a self tour. You can view the vast size of the historic battle ship, submarine, and aircraft inside the building. It takes several hours if you want to view everything in detail. Rich history to learn indeed.
Brandon Moring — Google review
There is so much to see and everything is well cared for. It is too bad that the self guided tours lacks any information aside from notating stops. And the ship itself doesn’t have much in the way of placards.
The submarine is much better in terms of descriptions.
This would be an excellent museum if everything was well labelled with a good dose of storytelling prose.
Expect to spend at least 3 hrs

Amazing experience! We visited USS ALABAMA and USS DRUM with family (two adults and three small children) and had a great time. Nevertheless there are some downsides about this place.
It’s a self-guided tour so if you’re familiar with military history/service then lot of the things are pretty much self explanatory. However, for those who’re not familiar with military equipment and history this experience may not be so much fun.
Also, be prepared to go through very tight entrance/exit and steep stairs. If you have knee problems you may not be able to fully enjoy this visit unfortunately.
Moreover, admission rates are rather high in my opinion ($18 per person regular admission for adults and $15 w/Veteran discount + $5 parking fee no exceptions) for it being a public memorial park. It would’ve been nice if the rates were somewhat lower. Even with a veteran discount the rates are still high. Fees really add up especially if you’re visiting with a larger group.
Lastly if you have a wheelchair or a baby stroller/wagon you’re going to have a problem accessing 85% of the park site.
All in all there’s plenty of interesting and fun things to explore. You can take lots of interesting and unique pictures in and around the battleships. Our family had a fun and enjoyable visit. If any of the above mentioned “issues” don’t bother you then this a great place to visit for sure.

The hubs is a history buff, so we knew we had to stop at the USS Alabama Battleship Memorial Park on our way back to Texas. We should have planned for more time!
Parking is $5, so you can enjoy all the outdoor exhibits. To visit the USS Alabama is an additional fee, but there are discounts for the military and AAA members.
Here's my first tip: plan for a 3 to 4 hour trip. We spent a good amount of time on the first of three self tours. The battleship is astounding! I cannot say that enough. Everything looks so small from afar and then you're standing beside the biggest guns you may have ever seen. That changes the conversation.
Keep in mind there are other exhibits on the ground, so wear your walking shoes. That's tip number 2. We parked the car and walked all the way to the dock to get a great view of the battleship.
Here's the last tip: bring your camera and have a good time. And do watch the film. It's about 25 minutes and it's a great history lesson.
Gwendolyn R Houston-Jack — Google review
This was fantastic! The tour is self guided so you can really absorb the details of what you're seeing & not feel rushed. There are great displays throughout the ship that depict life aboard the ship. The entire experience makes you really appreciate the sacrifice these men made. The tour took us about 3 hours, but you can also tour a submarine and a static display of planes inside the hanger. I wouldn't suggest the tour with small children but it would be great if the children are "Scout" age or older.
Valerie Smith — Google review
We loved the 3 different self guided tours with the arrows and the numbers to follow, it was excellent and super easy! Fascinating piece of history with little factoids all along the tour routes. The inside was nice with the a/c but topside was awful with the heat, we really wanted to go all the way to the top but the metal rails were burning our hands. The hanger with all the planes was awesome as was the sub, the USS Drum. There really needs to be a light at the entrance/exit to the park because getting in and out was a nightmare. All in all a great experience though and lots of fun.

The USS Alabama is such an impressive ship to see. The entire place has so many interesting planes and vehicles to see, including an actual WWII submarine. The food in the cafeteria was very good, with excellent service from the hard working gentleman who worked there.

This is an amazing memorial museum. There is a ton to do and even more to see. We did self guided tours on the Alabama Battleship, and on the submarine. We enjoyed spending time exploring and comparing the ships. We have been to other Navy boats and this was great. This was the first battleship we explored so it put all the guided missile cruisers and smaller boats into prospective. This thing is huge. Bring your walking shoes. Check out those 16 inch guns and the rounds for it. Worth every minute !
Plan to bring the family !

Extremely fun place to take the whole family. I would plan on 2.5 hours for USS Alabama and another hour for USS Drum. Gift shop has some fun memorabilia so plan on spending a little bit of time there. The inside of the ship can get very warm in sections with less air conditioning. Definitely bring plenty of water and good walking boots! Very educational and informative.
The self guide tour paths are clearly marked out so you will not get lost. Highly recommend doing the outside (yellow) tour early in the morning while the temperature is still low.
There are plenty of good restaurants nearby. The cafeteria at the memorial did not have any staff so I was not able to eat there.
Will definitely be back with more family member in the near future!

What an amazing place to spend time, learning about history, and experiencing some of it firsthand. While we arrived late in the afternoon and decided to wait to take a tour of the ship, my son and I were able to spend a couple of hours looking at all kinds of military aircraft and other hardware. Even got a chance to talk to some of the airmen who were restoring some of the old aircraft. An amazing experience, and one that we will definitely return to again and again.

The USS Alabama Battleship Memorial Park is a must-see historical location in Mobile, Alabama. Within the park, you can tour the grounds and the pavilion with aircraft, tanks, artillery, boats, and memorials to explore during your visit. The USS Drum submarine and the USS Alabama Battleship are both WWII vessels you may board and tour. Discover how the USS Alabama was saved from the scrapyard in Puget Sound and brought to the Memorial Park. She is a well-kept historical landmark that had a extraordinary career.

The USS Alabama Battleship Memorial Park is so much more than just the ship. Touring the ship is great and should not be missed, but there is so much more. Aircraft and tanks of every type and separate memorials to Korea and Vietnam veterans as well. On the day we visited there were young people in period uniforms that greatly enhanced the experience. A truly great place to stop.

Words can’t describe how great our visit was. This is a must see for kids and adults. The battleship is massive, wear comfortable clothing and shoes, there’s lots of climbing for those interested in seeing all it has to offer. They’ve done a wonderful job making it interesting and educational all while making it feel as if you’re allowed to explore wherever you want. Obviously that isn’t the case but it’s not all roped off like it could have been. Big takeaways…to see everything takes at minimum 4-5 hours, please see everything, it’s worth it. Bring a lunch, there’s plenty of picnic tables and even some grills. Lots of climbing but moving around the main deck is fairly easy. This place is so impressive and became the highlight of our trip!
Well-known fishing pier offering scenic views, lots of pelicans & a seafood restaurant.
A very nice pier. No admission, no parking fees. You do need a saltwater fishing license to fish in the bay. When we went on a weekday in early April around 2pm, there were very few people on the pier, and only a couple other people fishing. We were able to catch a few croaker using frozen shrimp and circle hooks. Plenty of water fowl to watch here along with a distant view of Mobile skyline across the bay. Water was much calmer than the Gulf in places such as Gulf Shores. Overall, a very nice experience and well worth the 40 minute drive for us.

Beautiful well kept pier. Fishing with permits is allowed. Along the pier you will see it water spigots and trays with measurements built right into the deck. Quite a walk out onto the pier with lots of benches to sit and watch the water. No boats were docked when I was there but it appears there are many docking stations. Renovating the restaurant that is there so there might be construction going on when you arrive. New restaurant coming in the spring 2023. Just caught the sunset. Beautiful. I've been coming here for over 30 years. If I'm anywhere nearby and don't have to rush off somewhere else right away, I will make the trip here. Absolutely beautiful. Well . . . if you're into scenic overlooks, glorious sunsets, nearby coffee shops, bucolic little towns, refreshing walks, fountains, fishing, people watching, dog watching (sometimes very similar), or just soaking up the warmth of the sun on a gorgeous pier. If you're not into those things, you'll enjoy driving around the circle. Please don't hit my truck.

This place is so cool. The feeding show is great and the the owner was super knowledgeable and fun to talk with. I mean your right over some really big ancient beast, it is really awesome.

Loved this place. Bring a hat, water, and a hand-fan, because this place is sweltering. Was visiting Florida and had a great desire to see alligators, and this was a great place to do it. I didn't realize how big this place was until I got there, and just how many alligators they have. I didn't think to ask, but they must have around 300. They also have lizards, turtles, and snakes to see, which was cool. We got to see the end of the aligator feeding, so definitely plan your visit around their feeding times to catch that. We also got to hold one of their baby aligators, which was exciting. Overall, didn't have high expectations about this place, but was pleasantly surprised. Well worth the trip.

Fun family day at Alligator Alley! Being from PA, we don't get to see gators often. This feels like a small gator park at first but then it keeps going. This one feels more like a family passion than just a tourist spot. They excel at answering questions and spending time talking to guests. The back of the park offers a swampy area that is well worth the walk. We were fortunate to catch the swamp feeding as well as the bleacher feeding. We also enjoyed the various other creatures on display which created a great family memory all around. It was obvious they enjoyed what they do and they have fun doing it.

We had a ton of fun here. The highlight for me was getting to hold a small alligator. It was so cute and so much lighter than I expected. The swamp area was beautiful and there were so many gators in there. We got to see them basking and swimming. If you like alligators and nature this is a great stop for a couple of hours.

This place was a very pleasant surprise. The property was well manicured and a nice walk. Everyone one working there was very friendly and made the experience great. The place is surrounded be farm land but once your there your teleported to swamp in the middle of no where. If possible catch one of the feedings, sure you get to see the creatures eat but the guy doing to feeding had a lot of really interesting information about the gators 🐊 that I had never heard. The swamp was really cool to stroll through, the wife has some arachnophobia but the banana spiders couldn’t scare her away from enjoying the swamp. Met an employee that was working in the swamp answering visitors questions about the gators, extremely knowledgeable man. Really good experience, I’ll bring family and friends when they come to town, great place

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Alligator Alley. It’s so cool to see them up close…but not too close haha! They have food which we all enjoyed throwing out into the water for the alligators. They also had lots of reptiles you could look at and even hold. We got to hold a snake and an alligator! 🐊 I really liked seeing the different ages as they grew. The swamp walk was pretty cool too. So many alligators everywhere and they were so BIG! We even heard one growl and now we know what dinosaurs probably sounded like. The guide/caregiver in the swamp was super friendly and helpful with our questions. I’m sure I’m missing things, but go visit if you get a chance.

Such an awesome experience! We even got to catch the 4:00 show/feeding! We had so much fun feeding them and my boys were excited to hold a baby gator!

We absolutely loved this place. So many alligators and snakes. Knowledgeable and helpful staff. It was extremely hot and the kids still had a great time feeding the alligators. We had a wide range of kids from ages 19 to 8 and all of them loved visiting this location. We were able to hold a baby alligator and a snake.

A lot of fun and adventure. All kinds of animals in the swamp. Lots of alligators baby’s and grown ones. We even got to hold one. Prices are affordable. Very safe. Employees were informational. Learned a lot about alligators. They also have a lot of rescues. They have snakes also and turtles.

This place is sooo cool! There are hundreds of alligators, some snakes, and tortoises. We thoroughly enjoyed this place. We even got to touch and hold a small alligator. Our 4 year old was cautious, the 18 month old fearless. Most impressive is a massive boardwalk trail that meanders through a swamp.
Place was clean, staff friendly, a fantastic experience all around.

Be sure to bring a sweat towel, a portable fan, or anything you might need to keep yourself cool! This was a very enjoyable experience, and seeing the alligators being fed was a first for me (I loved it immensely). Joseph fed them while we were there, and he did great. I definitely recommend this place to anyone in the area!

So fun and exciting! Gators didn’t seem over crowded and we’re semi separated by age. The staff has names for them which is nice to know they are cared for. Friendly staff and the person who fed the alligators was fun and informative. Learned some cool facts. Bleachers are in the sun, but it didn’t put a damper on our good time. There is a lovely room that has A/C to hang out and cool down for a few minutes. Also a snack bar that was reasonably priced. The “swamp” area was so cool- save some of your food for that part!

Child entry 15
Cup of biscuits 6
Bucket of biscuits 22

We had a great time and saw so many alligators! The kids loved tossing them the little snacks and getting to touch the baby alligator and the python! It was a hot day but the had lots of big ac units and fans set up as well as an indoor cool area about halfway through your walk. The feeding was cool to watch and very informative! Great little side trip on our beach vacation to Gulf Shores!

My husband and I loved Alligator Alley. We learned a lot and saw so much! This place is incredible! We bought 2 buckets of food pellets for the alligators and they loved it. Every person that we met were so knowledgeable and they really love the reptiles that they are caring for. We can hardly wait to come visit, again.

This is a great place for everyone. Informative and just all around fun. The feedings are a must see.
The only thing you need to keep in mind is that these creatures need the warmth. So if you go on a 60 degree day they probably won't be doing much/eating much. I'd recommend going when it's warm. You'd probably see more action then.

Visiting family in the Lillian area.
Our visit to Alligator Alley was pleasant. Though it was in the winter to spring time (when the gators are not eating) it was a nice walk. You can have a birthday party there as well. Seating along the walking path for when you’re tired.
Under $20 pp.

The experience was again fantastic.
Came here 10 years ago as a child with my family and I wanted to go again, by myself for souvenirs.
Was scared to come in February, which is not the best season for alligators. However, I saw a lot of them and the staff… the staff is incredible, talk to them for minutes and it was fantastic !!
They can explain a lot a things about their animals, the farm, the weather, etc.
Let’s meet Captain Crunch !!! 🐊🐊

This is a rescue organization that takes in nuisance alligators, mostly from Florida. The alligators live in a lovely swamp with plenty of room to wander. They continue to breed here so you can see alligators of all sizes (over 700). This was a fun detour from the Florida panhandle!

First time here after a long awaited trip! Was truly a fun experience. Got to meet and hold Boots. I love him! Can't wait to go again when feeding season is in swing!
The Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo is a 375 acre zoo that features many animals, including kangaroos and lemurs. The zoo also has a petting zoo, an aviary, and a picnic area. It is located only 6 miles from the beach.
Such a nice zoo. The staff is always so friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the on-site dining and activities such as merry-go-round, sluicing, and animal encounters. The walkways are wide and easy to use. Bathrooms are clean and accessible. The kids enjoyed the play areas. Overall a great zoo!

This is a small zoo. It has been in this are for 3 years. The animals seem to be well taken care of. The rides, zipline ride or zoo train were not running and cost extra. For the $25 ticket price it is disappointing. We past several keepers none of which spoke to us. The only keepers that were friendly was at the petting barn. They were awesome! This is a once and done. We visit zoos around the world.

We had a great time here, we went for my husband's birthday and we did the lemur experience which was too cool! There was also an area where we could feed different types of animals. It is a smaller zoo but well worth the price!!!! We will be back!

We loved our visit! Such an affordable option for a zoo. Plenty of animals to see. Loved how close you get to all of them. Very clean and tidy. Disappointed the tigers weren't out though. But overall a fantastic experience! Our kids loved it.

What a lovely zoo! We went right when it opened and it was very peaceful. It’s very clean and well kept, all of the animals seemed to be very relaxed and happy. We ended up walking around the loop twice and that gave us an opportunity to see some of the animals that were still sleeping when we first showed up. We will come back if we are in the area again!

The zoo was a fun small day trip! My partner and I were able to walk the whole zoo in less than an hour but was very humid and hot so most of the animals were just laying down or hiding. The gift shop had a few fun things but not a large selection. For the price of $22.95 was a bit much for the time we spent. It came out to $50.40? Something like that for less about an hour. We decided to do the lemur encounter and we had a lot of fun! It was 24.95/pp but was fun! We wanted to do the kangaroo interaction but was informed that was more for educational purposes and if we wanted more interaction to do the lemurs. So glad we did. At first they were shy but then they got active and climbed all over us and licked us. We got to pet them and take plenty of pictures that was well worth the money.

We stopped by here on a road trip and it was wonderful. Staff was pleasant and everything from the path, to the gift shop, to the restroom was very clean. We arrived around 1130 and left around 230-3. We saw a lot of animals and even had a few chats with the keepers as they tended a few of the enclosures who were very knowledgeable and willing to spend some time with us. There is a garden section which was a pleasant surprise as I haven't seen that at a zoo before and you are able to take a walk and sit on benches provided. It was a beautiful landscape area that has a cute little chicken coop. There is a stage for performance although there was not one scheduled during our visit. There is also an area to watch alligators being fed that happens on Tues & Thurs. The gift shop was also awesome with items ranging from very inexpensive at 1$ to things created by artisans that are 50+. It worked out great for us as we had two little boys who were able to get something without it breaking the bank while I was able to get a cute shirt to remember our stop and warm up as the temp dropped unexpectedly on us!

The zoo is nice in that a family with small children can get through it with one trip. It has a normal small shop at the beginning for souvenirs. The first thing out is the giraffe feeding area but be careful if you want to take pictures of the yougins as the staff person stands on the wrong side for parents to get snap shots. Most of the exhibits have something in them and the kids are close to them for the most part. Lion can be pretty far off to see along with the alligators. Non of the vendors were open but a couple and I’m sure that is because we were here at the end of February. They had a nice play area for the kids about halfway.

Such a beautiful zoo! Very clean with ample restrooms and benches. There were so many animals to see which was very unexpected. We saw tigers, lyons, monkeys, giraffes, lemurs, many types of local birds, etc. For an extra fee, you can feed the giraffes and have an opportunity to get up close and personal with several different zoo animals.
There is a great little enclosed bird area with turtles where you can sit and watch the birds. They also have a great gift shop with wonderful gift items.
Overall, it was a wonderful experience. We had a great time watching the animals and will definitely be back!

Awesome Zoo great price and plenty to do and keeps interest for kids and adults! The butterfly exhibit was a nice addition and probably one of our favorite things. We went around noon and unfortunately most of the cats were asleep and we never did see a male lion. But we will definitely be back!

It's ok. If you bought this as part of the ticket packages like an Alabama Fun Pass , it may be worth the visit. They need to add more shade to their playground and rest area. The extra experiences aren't worth the price. It does have a nice collection of animals and the park is clean and well maintained and has great bathrooms.
George Spaeth — Google review
Feeding the giraffe was absolutely worth the money. All exhibits are close up so you get a good view and there are so many chances to interact with the animals. There are chances to feed the lemurs, cuddle the sloths, sing with the parrots. It's was week worth the money. Everything is handicap accessible and there are electric scooters available for rent.

The zoo is very small, we walked the whole place in 1 hour, most of the animals were inside of their habits because it was too hot.
The total for 4 people was $92, including taxes.
The kids loved the ride around the cows it cost $5.99 per person
We liked the zoo. My recommendation is to go early in the morning when it isn't too hot, you will probably get to see more animals.

Ok I love visiting zoo's and seeing animal but I was so disappointed in this one it looks great when you pull up. But they really need to put some money into this place and start by cleaning it up take the time to trim Grass and shrubs in the cages the poor animal looked bad as well for over 65 dollars for 2 adults and a child it definitely wasn't worth it. O and a lot of empty cages a lot

I had the most incredible experience at the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo. 🐾 From the moment I stepped through the gates, I was immersed in a world of wonder and discovery. The zoo's commitment to conservation and education was evident at every turn. 🌿 As I wandered through the exhibits, I found myself captivated by the diverse array of animals and the informative signage that accompanied each one. 🦁🦦 Every species had a story to tell, and I felt privileged to learn from them. One of the highlights of my visit was the gift shop, which offered a delightful selection of souvenirs and memorabilia. 🎁 I couldn't resist picking up a few items to remember my time at the zoo, and each one served as a cherished reminder of the memories I had made. But perhaps the most unforgettable part of my visit was the private tour with a zookeeper. 🤝 Having the opportunity to engage in one-on-one conversation with someone so passionate about animal care and conservation was truly inspiring. 🌟 I learned so much about the inner workings of the zoo and the incredible efforts that go into caring for its residents.Overall, my experience at the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo was nothing short of magical. ✨ From the educational exhibits to the unique opportunity of the private tour, every moment was filled with awe and appreciation for the natural world. 🌍 I can't wait to return and continue exploring all that this extraordinary zoo has to offer. 🐯🦒

Very nice small zoo. They offered feeding a giraffe for $5 during a certain time window...very worth it! It is a beautiful zoo, a nice layout also with a petting zoo of farm animals for small kids. They have a merry-go-round. You can take a small motorized car ride to see a few animals. Enjoyed the day at the zoo. Employees work hard and are very knowledgeable.

What a great zoo! We were very pleased with everything about it. It's clean, there's plenty of restrooms, they let you bring in your lunch or you can stop and pick up something from a pretty good variety of snacks and sandwiches from machines or go to a cafe. My daughter liked the carousel as well! Note that the carousel and the experiences are extra costs so read up on those before you visit. 👍

Very nice zoo. Friendly staff. Wouldn't recommend the safari ride. It is$6 and lasts about a minute. You can walk the same area, so it's not worth it. The only reason for 4 stars is the restaurant. We decided to grab a bite for lunch. It was Sunday so it was a little busy. Little boy ordered a waffle that came out underdone. Our food came out 45 minutes after our drinks. My chicken frittata was warm but the chicken has the texture of jerky. Very dry. My wife's burger was cooked properly. It was the only meal of the 4 that was done properly.
Realize this zoo is fairly small so it only takes a few hours to get through so take your time and enjoy the animals. We paid the $5/person to feed the giraffes. It's a fun experience. They have other experiences but due to the cooler temps they were unable to bring some animals out. All in all I'd go back in warmer temps so we can experience more. Hope this helps.

We went on a windy, non-beach day and LOVED it! It is clean, new and very well laid out for ease of navigating. The exhibits were nice and close to each other, so it’s not a sprawling zoo like many we have visited…helpful when you’re with young kids! Good gift shop too!

I loved taking my 1 year old niece . It is very nice and kept up. Only thing is you have to pay extra for everything just about . Wish there were more things that were included in the $25 admission fee. But other than that it’s wonderful, very family friendly.
The Gulf State Park Pier is a popular fishing spot with 2,448 feet of space to fish. There's also indoor seating and concessions for food, as well as a shopping area for supplies.
My wife and I head to gulf shores twice a year and the State Park Pier is a spot we make sure to go to. I go there to fish, and she usually hangs out and works on her tan.
The pier is open 24 hours and the have a restaurant that serves alcohol and has a karaoke stage. It has a family atmosphere and kids are welcome. They also have a full service tackle shop that carries live bait and has anything one would need to fish.
It is paud parking and I believe it was $3 for two hours but do yourself a favor and get the nine dollar deal and then your pier admission is free.

This is a great place to watch the fisherman/women in hopes of seeing a fish or shark. Unfortunately, the pier has been damaged by the hurricane and it's only about half as long as it used to be. It's $3 to park for 2 hours and $2 per person to go onto the pier. They also offer fishing gear (but I'm not sure of those fees). This does have beach access as well so pack everyone up and head to the beach.

We love the strawberry banana lemonade you can get for $3.00 at the restaurant on the pier! The pizza is definitely worth a try too! You can get some really great pictures from the view at the restaurant as well. If we've had enough sun, we set up spot under the pier, by the water, for maximum shade coverage all day without needing an umbrella. The bathrooms here are always clean as well so that's an added bonus!!

This is a great sport for public access to the beach. I visited a sunset and the parking lot/ section of the beach wasn’t even full. If you’re not staying at a place with direct access to the beach, I would recommend coming here.

Beautiful pier but you have to pay and we left our cash in the hotel room 2 miles away. Next time. We were just happy to be at the beach and got a beautiful sunset on our walk back down the beach!

What a well-kept facility! The parking cost is very reasonable, dare I say cheap. $3 for two hours is the minimum. The pier costs $4 per person to walk it, fishing from of it is more. The bathrooms are clean and well functioning. There is a bar you can sit and drink at without paying to walk the pier. The sites from the pier are great. You can see Gulf Shores public beach and buildings to the West. You can access the public beaches here, too. No pier access needed to go to the beach. You just have to pay to park.

Pier is always great to fish off. As a vacationer and likes to fish. Knowing when the fish are running is another story 😉😂😂😂😂 local knowledge is always the key and way to know and understand the times and what species are around the pier.
It's a shame that at this moment in time state funding isn't where it should be to re-build the end of the pier. However hopefully the start of the next fiscal year. Staff are great and friendly?. I would recommend several visits ☺😉👍

I absolutely love the piers in the south. The views are beautiful and this pier is "fancier" than Pensacola's pier. There are amenities on the pier; bathrooms both up near the front and also down the pier itself. I would say it's a fisherman's dream as well because of all the fish-cleaning resources. The sights aren't as good as Pensacola, but it's still a good visit.

It's a nice place, but have your wallet ready! Pay to park, pay to walk out on the pier, and pay to be able to look at souvenirs. My son wanted a shark tooth necklace, they wanted $3 each just to enter the "educational" area to look at them. I understand that they are taking the $ for upkeep and repairs, but it would be nice if it would all be covered in one fee or a park pass like a normal state park.
We had a nice time out on the pier, we saw dolphins playing and some jelly fish.

An easier place to get to the shore than the public beach access in town. Cheaper parking, too. The pier was damaged so you could only visit half, but it was still lovely and worth the two dollars. My kid enjoyed watching the fishing and there was seating at the bar area for us to watch a storm roll in. (We came early in the morning, so the bar wasn't open.)

Lovely views from the pier.
We even saw a shark! It was a cool experience for sure.
You have to pay to park depending on the hours you plan to spend there.
There's a restaurant and snack bar on site.

This pier is a great option to see the gulf. Although it was quite busy, we were able to walk out with no wait time and hang out for 20-30 minutes.
It does cost some money to park, but you are able to get in for free if you’re staying at the state park campground.

Love the area, we have never actually walked onto the pier, but think it’s a shame they have not fixed it all the way. But it is definitely one of our favorite places for photo ops

You have to pay for parking. Then go inside and pay 2 dollars per person to walk out the pier and site see. There are ALOT of fisherman, so be mindful when walking down through there. Several close calls as they were casting their lines. The pier hasn't been repaired yet from the hurricane damage, so its only about half the normal distance out. But the views are still beautiful.
There is a state park in Gulf Shores that has white sand beaches and trails for hiking, camping, fishing, golfing, and more. The park is home to many animals including deer, turtles, gators, and even a bear! There is also an Activity Center with free wifi so you can stay connected while you're enjoying the natural beauty of the state park.
We stayed at Gulf Shores Campground for four days and we had an awesome time. We were able take advantage of all of the bike trails here. We also got to ride to the beach. We stayed through New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day and it was so calm and peaceful and quiet at night. We had the best lunch at wood side restaurant. We absolutely enjoyed this pier, I'm not sure if they are all this big but it was very spacious. We fished off of it for a couple hours and had a blast. There were handicap spots available as well, two sets of bathrooms drink machines on the end and a restaurant at the front of it, although we didn't eat there it smelt good! Staff was all super friendly and informative, we aren't from Gulf shores so we had a few questions they were happy to answer!

We think this is a great State Park, big spacious lots, we were in 255 which was a lake view very nice. The staff in the office were all very nice and make the check-in a very easy process.
We loved the bike share, the miles and miles of trails are great and easy to ride on.
With your park pass you can park and get on the pier for free, just take a picture of your pass to show the attendant. There is a path also that goes over the road and onto the beach which is nice. The bathhouses were really nice and the showers were good, we did notice a few of them around the park were closed due to repairs. In bathhouse 9 it wasn't cleaned on the men's side for a few days, I would think they would be cleaned daily. Another suggestion is have one of the bike share locations inside the park so you don't have to drive to get to the bikes. If in the area again we would for sure visit this park again.
We visited Ft. Morgan , if in the area this is so worth the short drive to get there.
Thank you

Rent bikes 🚲 for FREE! This place is an awesome find! There are seven bike stations around the state park, download the free app BLOOM, scan the QR code, and then ride the bike around the 20 some miles of amazing trails, then just drop it back off at any bike station. You do have to enter a credit card, but in case you decide to take the bike home 😄, but if you return it safely, once you re-lock the bike, it’s free, $0. We love it, great for visiting family that didn’t bring their bikes. Enjoy!

As weird as it may sound to some, stopping at the nature exhibit at the Gulf State Park was one of the best parts of our trip ♥️ myself, my oldest son, my youngest son and my oldest son's girlfriend went here and broke off from a group of 16. The other part of the group went to go putt putt and came back hot and miserable and had spent so much money. While in the meantime we were cool, relaxed and spent $2 to go see some very beautiful sights and see some amazing animals and the nicest, knowledgeable staff experience.

We have been utilizing the Gulf State Park since we moved here over a decade ago. The highlight for us is the miles and miles of bike and walking trails. Besides being a safe corridor for bikes between Gulf Shores and Orange Beach, there is a ton of wildlife. We have seen gators, turtles, bobcats, snakes, and deer, as well as so many birds and fish. If you like fishing, Shelby Lake is a great place for bass, redfish, trout, and more. There are playgrounds, beach access, RV and boutique campgrounds, nature center, and even more. There is so much to do, well worth the visit if you are visiting the area or live here.

Staff was very nice and helpful. There are a few bath houses, a heated pool with splash pad, laundry, camp store, playground, bike rentals, and a nature center. I think there is probably a lot more that we just didn’t have the time to explore.
The bath houses were very clean!
You can walk to the beach that is not too far. There’s a walkway across the highway. The Bach facilities and the beach were also clean and nice.
We didn’t get to go to the Nature Center.

This place is beautiful. It gets you away from some of the more "touristy" areas in Gulf Shores, but only a few minutes away if you need to there. We stayed at The Lodge, and it was very nice, and the views were wonderful. It is the off season, and it was chilly during our stay, but that did not take away from our appreciation for this place.

So much beach front to walk on. My family and I truly loved this place and can not wait until next year to return. Just to note there is a parking fee. We payed 10.00 for the day.

Resort style accommodations in a quiet, natural environment. A nice counterpoint to high rise chaos on the Gulf Shore. Excellent cuisine and service.
The Wharf is a touristy spot with amenities such as a convenience store, meeting space, pool, fitness center, golf course and breakfast. It is located in the heart of Gulf Shores and easy to access by car or bus.
I visited here the day after Christmas. The place had two laser shows at 6 and 7pm which were fun and beautiful. There were not many people and only a few shops were open around that time. There are plenty of parking spaces at no cost. It’s very easy to access.

Really fun place. My boyfriend and I went last night. They had an awesome light show around 8:30 p.m. They have a bunch of shops, places to eat, and an arcade. Cool Ferris Wheel. Fun for the whole family. Recommend!

Had a great time at the Wharf for New Years. Shops were very welcoming and the crowd was having a great time. Live music, open shops more than willing to welcome customers in, ferris wheel staffing busy and just an overall great experience.

We have returned to the Wharf many times since first discovering it. Lots of great shops and restaurants. Really pretty view of fancy boats. The Ferris wheel is a must. A little pricey but offers great view of the area. The light show at night is lots of fun.

This place is so nice they have a lot of cute stores you can either browse through or shop. I loved it. It's so beautiful they also have a lot of options for food. A movie theater,Ferris Wheel, and today, they had like a side with different food vendors tents.

We explored the Wharf both during the day and at night. There is plenty to do between exploring all the shops, riding the ferris wheel, dolphin boat tours, amphitheater, bars and restaurants, and so much more. There is plenty of free parking outside the stores and a large parking ramp if those parking slots fill up. Overall this is a fun place to explore. 🛍🎡🐬

We went to an old car show there. It was perfect for the car lovers and gave the people that wasn't car crazy a place to shop. You could also walk a long where the yachts were docked. There were a lot of people but it wasn't so crowded you couldn't get around. Great atmosphere and a very good Pina Colada at the Daiquiri Bar. Only a hand full of people had on mask.

An interesting but expensive place to shop. Tried The House of Jerkys, shark jerky is so so, especially considering how expensive it is.
The Spice & Tea Exchange has a great setting in displaying spices and teas. But the price is outrageous. A small bag of tea for $7 and spice for $6. I guess for novelty tryout, it will be ok.

We visited the Wharf on a weekday in June, 2023. It was fairly quiet when we were there. There were stores and restaurants and such. We didn't find anything that we felt we needed to buy. So we went on our way after a nice walk around the complex.

Absolutely loved this place and went back a few times to just walk around and check out stores. We also road the ferris wheel a couple of times and had a lot of fun. Only reason it's getting 3 stars is because 3 of the restaurants we visited here tried to overcharge us on various items. Definitely recommend looking over receipts in this area.

I went on the dolphin experience cruise. I love that you are able to bring your own snacks and drinks. You can also bring alcoholic beverages. Just no glass. They also sell chips and drinks for $1 on the boat. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable as well. Although we didn’t get a chance to get any dolphins to surf around us they did swim around us and that was cool. It was also nice to just relax and enjoy our time out on the water.

Considering why I was there in the first place, I would share that it has a lot to offer for everyone. Plenty of eats, shops and entertainment along with an Arcade.
Outside of the AMC movie theater where I visited to watch a new low key IRA movie with Liam Nielsen, called There will be Saint and Sinners, there is a Ferris Wheel...

Wonderful family or solo experience!
Must stop while in the area.
Free parking and there was plenty.
Free laser show was great for the kids. Ferris wheel rides were reasonably priced ($8) and had a seasonal ice skating bundle option available as well. Quite a few stores but come before 6 as most close by then (Saturday) Will absolutely return.

The Wharf at Orange 🍊 Beach is a fun Live-Work-Play community that is well worth a visit. Especially for the days you need a change of scenery, a break from the sun or rainy day blues.
At this time, you'll find a huge ferris wheel, an AMC Movie theater, shops, restaurants, a church, a marina, a video game shop. Really, something for everyone. Our favorite spots are Shades 😎 , this beautiful coffee shop that serves an amazing breakfast, & Ginny Lane. I'm sure there's others - like the beef jerky store or the whisky distillery - I'll just have to return to update this post.
There is no need to worry about parking. They have plenty. Public bathrooms can be tricky for impared individuals.

Big Lagoon State Park is a nature retreat that features a waterfront park with an observation tower and campgrounds. Guests can enjoy boating, swimming, and hiking activities. The campsites are private and separated by trees and plants from neighbors. There is also a playground for kids to enjoy. Amenities include water and electric hookups, though there is no sewage system on site. The bathhouse facilities are clean but not heavily used.
Awesome choice for a change of scenery!
Visited on a sunny Saturday in mid-March.
Even thou a good chunk of the park was closed , we truly enjoyed hiking the Sand Pine Trail and it’s contrasting landscapes : from sand dunes and cactus, to swampy greenery. Took us about an hour on a regular pace.
Small entrance fee
Clean bathrooms
Lots of parking space

We really enjoyed the facilities at the campground. Each site is separated by foliage offering a feeling of privacy, yet close enough that you can meet others. Pet friendly (on a leash) and clean bathrooms with showers as well as outlets to dry hair. The only reason for four stars is because only the campground, one trail, and the boat ramp are currently open two + years following Hurricane Sally in Sept 2020. We look forward to visiting again when the rest of the park reopens.

A beautiful State Park right in Perdido Key, between Pensacola Beach and Orange Beach. I really enjoyed the view, the boardwalks, observation tower and comfortable pavilions. It was a beautiful place to picnic along the beaches, both east and west. Camping is available, as well as a boat ramp. Plenty of things to do. See the Blue Angels practice daily.

Great Park. Very quiet and everyone very nice. Lots are private but be careful when you book to get a spot that will accept your size rig. We were in spot 63 and have a 32' fifth wheel. Very tight to get in due to surrounding vegetation but got her in. Entrance to campsites are 1 way road. Beach small but nice. Trails are great. No sewer hookup so be aware of that, there is a dump on the way out. Will be back again for sure! Would give 5 stars if we had sewer hookup.

We stayed at Big Lagoon State Park all week for spring break. The sites are private with lots of trees and plants separating you from your neighbor. We chose a site across from the playground so our kids had easy access to play when they wanted to. We had water and electric, but no sewer. The bathhouse was clean and not frequently used. Part of the park was closed down due to damage from Hurricane Sally in 2020. The roads could benefit from being redone due to lots of potholes. We were able to see the lagoon from the boardwalk and see lots of turtles, a variety of birds, and an armadillo.

We really enjoyed spending our day at Big Lagoon State Park. There were plenty of parking spots available. We walked the Sandy Pine Trail Loop (3.5 miles) and boardwalk sections. The boardwalk provides an expansive view of Big Lagoon and Grand Lagoon. The best views were from the observation tower. As we were walking, we saw several small birds, an armadillo, and a swamp rabbit. There were several covered areas with picnic tables and restrooms available. For a $6.00 entry fee, this park is definitely worth it.

Only a small part of the park was open. Camping was awesome with the cleanest bathrooms I have seen. Not a lot of biking area. We knew that there was an area closed but didn't expect the roads to be closed as well.

Use to come here when I was a kid. Great place to come with the kiddos. It is first come first serve the parking spots fill up and when there are no more parking passes you can’t get in. Cost few bucks each car. The main parts are closed off really wish they would work on fixing it so we can enjoy the property more.

This place is truly amazing. We ended up here due to no parking at the beach. We started in Orange Beach trying to access the beach and drove miles down the road. The entrance fee is little to nothing for the experience of what’s behind the gates. There are a few hiking trails, boat launches, campground, and picnic area. The views were so amazing. It wasn’t crowded at all which was a major plus given it being a holiday weekend.

We LOVE this park. Our first date was there, and we even planned to get married there. Unfortunately, hurricane Sally changed that plan... but the good news is the park is completely open again! New boardwalks, new pavilions, and alligator at the bridge! And the tower is back!!!

Things I wish I had read in reviews before my trip.. There are 2 110 plugs a 30amp and 50 amp as well.. a place to put a water hose.. picnic tables and grill/fire pits..
I had the BEST week long solo trip to this park! I felt safe the entire time I was there and actually stayed an extra night.. its very peaceful with plenty of Lagoon access.. if you have a kayak it's a beautiful trip to the other side of the lagoon.. bathroom/showers were always clean with hot water.. building itself was a little toasty.. i can't wait to plan my next trip.

It’s a large facility with plenty of open space. Hiking, kayaking, boating and numerous private pavilions available from small to large, including an amphitheater. The sky tower recently reopened and facilities are clean and conveniently located throughout the park. Carloads are reasonably priced, with annual passes available. Birds and other wildlife are a sure attraction.

Cool area. RV park was fine, with several sites far larger than they describe. The one they assigned was too tight for our 5th wheel to get in, but we found another about 80' long. Usually nearly full, so good luck.

The National Naval Aviation Museum, located in the Naval Air Station Pensacola and one of the most popular museums in Florida, showcases over 150 restored military aircraft including helicopters and dive bombers that proved significant in American history. The museum is dedicated to preserving and exhibiting aspects of the development and heritage of the United States Naval Aviation history for all branches including Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard. Visitors can also enjoy a flight simulator experience and watch an IMAX theater show.
I'm a huge fan of naval aviation so 2 days in the car to visit this museum was perfectly fine with me. Unlike a number of aviation museums, this one allows you to get right up to the aircraft. As an avid model builder, the opportunity to crawl under some of these aircraft or stick your head up inside the wheel wells was amazing. There are many unique and historically significant pieces here as well as incredible models and artifact displays. While multiple Tomcats were awesome to see, the highlight for me was the opportunity to place my hand on the only surviving aircraft from Midway. It was a very moving experience for this naval aviation fan.

Just so beautiful and inspirational. Amazingly detailed both up and downstairs. Incredibly knowledgeable staff of prior and current service. It’s like walking through 3D, live-motion Naval history research. So unbelievably modernized for a museum. No wait whatsoever. Not crowded. Free. Sharp images on screens, clean both in and outside (including restrooms), and just overall an amazing experience.

Pretty nice. It was a fun place for my friends & I. Lots of naval planes to see. Very clean & Very organized. We went to the Café and got food and it was pretty good. Also no wait at all!
Just be mindful that the prices in the gift shop are a little high. But, admission is free anyways so it’s not that bad. Overall it’s ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️, I really enjoyed it and I hope you do too.

This was a wonderful museum to attend. You do have to go through the initial base gates but it is my understanding this is allowed for everyone (I went with some one with a retired military ID so did not test this). We spent over 2 hours at this museum and did not cover everything. There is a lot of history to see and read, not just the air craft. They also have a historical movie to see. There are people on hand if you gave questions and of course a gift shop. Keep in mind if you go there are 2 buildings at the time of this review. Hanger 1 is found exiting the back part of the initial museum.

The cafe is available, the movie theater, and also the gift store. The store had a great variety of items - shirts, hats, toys, gift items, and novelty items.
The displays were amazing. Do note some features have a cost but the entry was free with a donation option at the Blue Angels.
We watched the “Blue Angels” and then then the pilots came for an Autograph session at the Museum. It was a fabulous day. We will definitely be back.

This place is great I’ve been going here for years and will visit again in the future. Covid making it harder to get it, but if you get to know a few locals this normally isn’t an issue. The museum is great and how many times over the years I’ve ran into someone volunteering and it turning into a 15 minute conversation about one of the displays telling a story from their life. I’ve meet nothing, but the best here. The shows always bring a crowd and it’s worth it, but also it’s definitely worth stopping on an off day to get the true experience of this wonderful place.

You gotta make 4 days available to see everything. Super interactive displays, friendly helpful staff and more to see and do for beyond the eyes can see. Full size airplanes on display. Many huge models of Navel ships. Wow, gotta put this place on your bucket list. Also, part of the home to the Blue Angles. Meet and greet on the tarmac behind the museum on live practice days. Most Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Check their schedule for training days to be sure. Oh best part. Parking and admission to the museum is FREE. You will have to enter NAS Pensacola so be sure to have your ID. Check the website.

I visited this place as a child over 30 years ago and wow, has come a long way. I expected my children to be bored, but they have done quite well with making sure there are plenty of interactive attractions to go along with the viewing of life sized peices historical Naval aviation.
Admission is free, though there are "tip containers" scattered across the museum. They have a couple different simulators and they also have movies that all cost money. I feel they are reasonably priced since admission is free. There is restaurant and a snack bar. A little high priced for the quality in my opinion but it serves the purpose of giving you food for as much time as you could potentially spend here.
We spent about 3 hours here and we didn't watch any of the movies that you can buy tickets to. If you are someone who is really passionate about this kind of thing and want to experience all of it, get here when the doors open and plan to spend 4-5 hours. And that is on a less busy day.
The exhibits are top notch. They have full sized jets and planes plus very detailed replicas of different aircraft carriers. The WWII exhibit has it's own section and is an absolute must see if you love this part of US history. Worth a trip to Pensacola just for this, in my opinion.
Overall, great museum and recommend every one check it out if in the area.

Steve Judd gave our tour. He did an amazing job. It lasted about two hours. He was super interactive with the crowd. He asked about retired military in the crowd and any current pilots. I loved all the information he gave. I really enjoyed that he wore a microphone and little speaker. It made it so much easier to hear him. Anyone interested in the Navy, Blue Angels, and USA history would really enjoy this museum. I think we could spend two days reading everything, watching every movie, doing every interactive simulator. We will definitely be back again. Admission is free. Some things like the movie and simulators cost. They have a neat little cafe too.

Enjoyed the visit with my girls (2 daughters and niece). Happened to get lucky and witness a flight school graduation, which was pretty awesome and unexpected. These officers were representing true American spirit, and from what I can remember, not a single one was from the same hometown, a true melting pot of America in this group. The museum itself has a unique bond between future and history this way by having Graduation ceremony surrounded by all the history while presenting the future of Naval aviation. I sincerely hope the families understand the importance of everything surrounding them and that they were able to take the time and enjoy the time, take some memories home of not only the present but of immersing themselves into the past.

Fort Barrancas is a significant hilltop fort that has been occupied by various countries throughout history. Today, it serves as a museum and offers tours for visitors to explore the military history of the fort. Built in 1844, the fort was utilized during the Civil War by Confederate soldiers who were battling Union forces stationed at Fort Pickens. A self-guided tour map can be downloaded to guide you through the fort where cannons were once fired during wartime many years ago.
We visited Fort Barrancas about 3 weeks ago because it is not only a beautiful historic place to visit but also a great place to take amazing pictures. We took my son there for senior pictures. These images are just the quick snaps I was able to get while the photographer was doing her thing. You will see my son had a little fun at the cannon posing as Captain Morgan lol. On a side note, my husband & I came here to take engagement photos back in 2004 & they turned out amazing as well. Another note I should mention is before going, is to check their hours of operation bc we showed up just before closing so we had to rush. Also, you can schedule a tour & get great historical info from the knowledgeable staff that works there as well. What a great city we live in to be able to be transported back in time for just a little while & slow down for a change even if it is just for an hour or two. I enjoyed the serenity of it all & didn't want to leave.

Beautifully maintained fort that you can roam for hours if you choose. The history of this area is unique and worth learning about. Highly recommend stopping here and talking with the employees. The 10 minute video was a great introduction and the fort did not disappoint. Thanks for a wonderful stop on my vacation!

Small but very well done, the National Park Service has done a bang up job making an old fort into a beautiful area to wander, enjoy the sunshine, wander the long corridors inside the fortifications, and receive a good education about how European conflicts as well as the American Civil War were part of the history of this area. Because of the beautiful open areas and underground tunnels, there's a bit for everyone, including those who like to watch jets and Navy trainer aircraft fly by. If you like history, be sure to spend time to read the various boards in the small but we'll organized visitor center.

As you might know by now, I love going to visit historic forts. This is inside the Naval Air Station. This one is an amazing fort, from its location to the role it played in history. I would say this is a must fort to visit. I would recommend you watch the 12-minute video they have available before you had out to see this historic place. Everything you will see will have a meaning, and you will then begin to imagine how things happened. What a beauty of a place. You really need to take some time when you are there. This is a place where you can't rush it. If you like these types of historic places, you will enjoy everything from the walls to the hallways to the design. I Know I am uploading pictures that might cause you to wonder why those pictures. Well, when you go there, you will say, oh I see why. I would come back here just because I think this is a cool place to visit.

Fantastic National Park location. You can explore most of this fort on your own and also get a great view of Fort Pickens across Pensacola Bay. The ranger tour is available on the weekends and is well worth it to learn the how the fort was constructed and its history. Highly recommend the Advanced Readout tour if you are more adventurous. This second site (not far from the visitor center) is only accessible with the ranger tour and takes you through the abandoned structure complete with dark passageways and potential encounters with bats, snakes and other local fauna. Not suitable for young children.
The fort is located on the Naval Air Station, so you will need to pass through a checkpoint and show ID to get to the fort. There is limited RV parking at the visitor center, so you may want to call ahead and ensure that there is space to park if you are driving a larger rig.
The Junior Ranger program for this site is part of the larger Gulf Islands National Seashore booklet, but there are a couple of activities based on exploring the fort or walking on the .5 mile woodland nature trail near the visitor center.
This is such a cute place, it was our first stop in Florida. 5 bucks gets you entry and a bowl of assorted bits of food to feed the birds, which is insanely reasonable compared to a lot of similar types of attractions. I got to see so many cool types of birds and we hand fed the peacocks, at the end they had a sweet little grey bird they were passing around to hold, it was an absolute blast. I miss George lol he's such a goofy bird, I wanted to steal him hahaha. I'm not sure I'd bring very young kids here, the birds do bite if ya were to stick your hand up in the cages, but if they're keen on following instructions you'll probably be alright.

This is a nice little place if you have kids. The people are nice. They give you food at the entrance to feed the birds. They teach you how to feed as well so that the birds don’t bite us. There are multiple macaw birds in the cages. They also have some peacocks which walk around freely. Overall, this was a nice experience.

We had a 6 yo visiting and found him using his binoculars out in our back yard listening and looking for birds. He was strumming a guitar on his tablet because he heard birds liked that. So we took him to Uncle Sandy’s.
He loved the peacock and played for him. He was too short to feed the caged birds but he kept playing for them. The volunteer was great educating all of us on the birds. What a great experience to see all the exotic birds up close instead of on Instagram. It’s a smaller park but it was fun. Other families were visiting as well

This place is pretty neat! Three people who work there are super friendly and smiling and funny. My daughters and I had a great time. Is more than affordable. The birds are loud and it's clear which ones are ok to feed and which ones might try to nip a finger. Very up close and personal experience. Albino peacock was beautiful. Thanks Sandy for helping my little girl feed Snowy! You made her day. We will be coming back

What an awesome place! We stumbled upon this place while searching for something to do with our kiddoes. We were not disappointed! My husband and I enjoyed it just as much as our little ones. The staff was incredibly friendly and the birds are very loved. I believe our absolute favorite was the free roaming peacocks.

Amazing time for a low cost! Fed many types of birds, including peacocks, macaws, and emus! The volunteers were very friendly. Also, this place is NOT like a professional zoo and not like a corporate ran place. It may look a little run down. However, I think it adds to the charm. It's truly a hidden gem!

My wife and I only intended to volunteer long enough to learn how to care for large birds, in anticipation of getting a Cockatoo. However, we fell in love with Uncle Sandy's, the birds, and the other volunteers. We have been coming back regularly for the last 4 years, even after we adopted our first large bird (coincidentally not a Cockatoo). If you're looking for an interactive and educational experience that won't break your budget, Uncle Sandy's should be at the top of your list of places to visit. Uncle Sandy's is a nonprofit organization, so your entry fee and all donations go directly to the birds there. Uncle Sandy's is the best kept secret destination in Pensacola.

We loved it. Absolutely beautiful birds that you can feed with the supplied food. Almost 150 exotic birds in multiple cages. The attendant was very friendly and educational. A must see if you are in the area.

This is great place to visit with friends! The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and love to have a great time.
They even teach you how to feed the birds, which makes for a very memorable time.
Thank you so much Uncle Sandy's Macaw Bird Park for a wonderful experience!

Awesome unique experience! Macaws were gorgeous to see and interact with. The staff there was very friendly and helpful. The peacocks and emu were especially loved by the kids. :)

My family and I loved it here! It's amazing what they do for these birds, and as long as you listen to instructions, feeding the birds is so much fun and fulfilling. We all fell in love with Lulu the cockatoo. The bug spray was much appreciated.

Lots of beautiful birds. Admission is 5$ for adults , they give you food to feed the birds with. The emus are alot of fun to feed and their little roars are amazing. A couple of the birds are super talkative and like interacting. Staff is super friendly as well.

We really like this place. It's so easy to get to right off of nine mile, it's not too expensive, and there are so many birds to see, feed, and talk to. There are beautiful macaws and other birds. Our kids absolutely love visiting here. It doesn't take a lot of time to walk around and you know that your money is going to a good cause helping to rescue and care for beautiful birds.

We absolutely loved this place. It’s so cute and the vibe is chill. So many birds to look at and they were all beautiful. It was a little rustic looking when pulling up but do not let the looks fool you. This place is amazing. Definitely recommend adding this to your things to do list.

amazing place! very cheap admission and the owner is a super cool guy. SO MANY birds to see including parrots, emus, peacocks, and cockatoos! they were all sweethearts and I will definitely be coming back. (the pictures I took do not do this place any justice, was very encapsulated in the birds and didn’t get great photos)

When we arrived at Uncle Sandy’s I was like I don’t know about this. But we went in anyways and boy sure glad we did. We were able to feed a lot of the birds with the food provided. They all look like they are well cared for and have plenty of things to keep them occupied. Got to see the peafowl which was my main priority and ended up with some beautiful pictures. Will come back next time we are in the area. Highly recommend

Stopped by this place after conveniently passing by and Im so glad I did. The small admission was worth it and the warm welcome was well appreciated. There were plenty of birds there and some even talked. I was given peanuts and noodles for feeding. If you’re thinking about visiting, check it out. CASHONLY

Very friendly volunteers there. You walk around the multiple enclosures and can feed them. They mark the ones that like to bite with red stars so you know what to look for. Definitely worth checking out!

I was not sure what to expect when we pull onto the parking area. Almost decided to leave but decided to go in anyway. For a $5 entry fee, it was well worth it. You won’t be disappointed and some of the birds may even talk to you!
Enjoy and have fun.

This place is a hidden gem! You get to feed macaws and other birds! There are also peacocks and an emu. The birds also talk! The admission is only $5 for adults!
The Fort Pickens Area of Gulf Island National Seashore is a significant historical landmark built to defend Pensacola Bay. The area also features a discovery center, nearby beach, and fishing pier. Visitors can explore the fort's many rooms and tunnels while learning about its history from the mid 1800s to mid 1900s. The national park offers camping facilities with plenty of beautiful beaches to explore, including the stunning white sand dunes.
Fort Pickens was fun to explore. So many rooms and even tunnels. Great to learn some mid 1800s to mid 1900s history of the fort and area. Friendly staff at the store. The beaches and dunes in the area are amazing. Love the cool white sand! The facilities were clean.

This was a fun place to spend a few hours. Even if handicapped it was set up so you could essentially drive around and enjoy the site. If you wanted to walk it, I highly suggest downloading the national park app as it walks you through the fort in a numbered order and tells you what each stop is. Definitely more organized than other forts I had been to in the past. While my kids weren’t with me this trip I could see them enjoying it.

This is a beautiful national park with camping and plenty of beach areas to explore. It's also home to the historic Fort Pickens. A great place to bring the family to learn some of our country's valuable history.

Nice camping experience. Everyone is friendly and keeps to themselves. The beaches are super clean and quiet. This is a great place for people who enjoy the beaches but want to avoid the crowds. Also good for fishing. We came back to the beach at night to catch crabs with the kids.

Wonderful place to explore. You can go all through the fort. There is a lot of history. There is a lot of hiking and climbing.
Great fishing off the pier and several beaches to stop at along the way.

One word could sum it up- "go!"
A fort to explore, surrounded by the gorgeous powdery beaches and gulf waters- go! Also, check the Blue Angels practice schedule. You can see them fly from here.
There are a few restroom options throughout and a really great covered picnic area to let you eat and rest for a few minutes out of the sun. If you have kiddos ask about the Jr. Ranger program. They can earn a badge. Plan to spend the day by bringing sunscreen, drinks, food and plenty snacks. The beaches have a lot to explore themselves so bring a net, fishing poles, buckets, sand castle building supplies, swimwear, towels, and baby powder for the excess sand if the beach is of interest. If you plan and pack ahead you will have a wonderful day learning, exploring and then soaking up some beach time.

Great park to explore around for a few hours! Spent some time here with the family and we loved it! It is well worth the entry fee as the fort was great to walk around and to see the museum that has so many artifacts! I highly recommend if you’re in the Pensacola area!

Pensacola Beach Gulf Pier is a pier that extends into the Gulf of Mexico and is popular for fishing. It's also a great place to see marine life, such as dolphins, sharks, and manta rays. Admission is cheap and it's well maintained.
Sugary sands and crystal clear water. One of my favorite beaches in the US. I prefer the beaches in the gulf coast to the ones on the east coast of Florida. Lesser crowds and cleaner beaches. The pier provides some great photo opportunities with the panaromic view of the Pensacola skyline. We visited the beach during sunset and it is spectacular. There is a small admission fee (about $5 for 2 people) to get there and it's more than worth that amount.

Oh my! Well worth my money! We saw sea turtles, small sharks and the best moment was a dolphin came by and stole a man's fish on the line. He played with it right in front of us. It was a nice Pier with lots of seating. We went early morning on a Wednesday. Thanks Pensacola! You're awesome!

The pier is just like any other…
A little crowded no matter what time of day you go and some people have no respect (loud music, smoking, yelling, swearing, setting up directly next to you).
Nonetheless, it’s a gorgeous beach, the water is amazing and the sunsets are gorgeous. Within walking distance of multiple shops and restaurants, however I don’t recommend swimming around the pier as it is infested with jellyfish, especially in August, when I went you couldn’t even swim without probably getting stung. Definitely a cool place to check out!

The water in the ocean is very transparent. The beach is clean with white sand. There is a public big parking lot by the beach. Facilities like showers and restrooms are available between the beach and the parking lot which is very convenient.

Perfect place to watch the sunrise/sunset. I enjoy my pier walks and I am grateful to be able to walk it any time I want since I live so close. There’s no telling what you will see! Every time I go, I see different things. Sharks, turtles, dolphins, big fish, sting rays, etc. Definitely recommend to take a walk here at least once, for the experience!

Great place to chat with fisherman about their catches, the beracuda and the lady fish, and watch the shoreline.
With a small fee charge, it is ceryainly worthwhile

Wow it was just beautiful, the emerald green waters splashed on the shore & the white sand at the shore was easy to walk on. For me it brought back memories, when I was in the navy NAS Pensacola was where I was stationed & the changes we’ll from 1964 to 2023, 59 years of growth really made it look different. I’m 64 there was. Pavilion & a carousel, and now it’s high rise condominiums & houses for rent that go for 3K a week but it was nice to go back & see the changes.

Love walking down the pier. Less than $8 for a family of 3 just to walk which is amazing! Loved seeing the schools of fish in the water to. Sometimes sharks and dolphins can be spotted to. Great activities to get away from chaos to. 👍

My husband and I had a really great time walking down the pier to the end and back!! We saw a lot of people fishing, you don't need a license to do so. We saw a cute Pelican! He would wait for people to catch fish then go over to them and practically "beg" for them to give him one, lol. We also saw jellyfish near the pier. The water is so beautiful and clear!!

Great place to go for a walk or you can also fish. They charge $7.50 for fishing or less then $3 for just watching. You also get a great view at the beach. Absolutely beautiful, also great to go on a nice walk with your significant other, they have chairs. You can watch the sun set or rise.

Stretching out across the emerald green waters over 1470 feet beyond 2 sand bars into the Gulf of Mexico is the Pensacola Beach Fishing Pier. What a spectacular view! I swear it has the most beautiful sunrise and sunset! Highly recommended whether you're going fishing or just strolling to enjoy the view.
