I had a blast riding the ATV, being the first time felt safe and in control, thank you Michelle and the guy with a black hat, sorry i didn't get your name🤭 but you were awesome!!! Definitely I'm recommending my friends to you guys...see you soon...

We had the BEST time riding the dunes! We were total beginners, but there is something for everyone and the dune area is huge! We did 2 hours, which was perfect. Michelle was amazing and made us feel at ease because it is a little intimidating out there at first. 10/10 recommend!

Do it! Great friendly staff that was helpful and made us feel welcome and comfortable. They tow the vehicles to the area for you so you 1) don’t have to tow them yourself or 2) go far! The area you follow them to is very accessible and you park your vehicle there while you’re riding. When you’re done, they meet you at the drop off spot and you just walk back to your parked car and drive off. Super easy and convenient. They had a great selection, all in great condition. The owner assisted us and was nice. Her employee Riley (I think) met us at the spot and showed us how to operate the vehicles. I felt very comfortable asking him for help as he explained things. The dunes were soooooo much fun, no matter what level driver you are. Overall a VERY good experience.

We were running late I sent an email but Regina was so sweet calling us to make sure nothing bad happened as we were driving from Canada. We are totally new to the atv world and they gave us clear understandable instructions on how not to kill ourselves. Such great people an epic experience 100% we will definitely be back but with a whole crew next time not just the 2 of us. The sand dunes were so clean and easy to navigate 2 hours well spent!!!!
We were an hour off our reservation and they did not dock us any time we got the whole 2 hours we totally didn't expect that such amazing people Gus and Regina thank you for the amazing memories...
Ps they have the cutest dog ever!!!!
Jill Walker — Google review
It was very pricey but the staff was nice. Well, it's worth the day if you want to get out of the sand.
Just stopped off the road and made a day of the experience. Good luck, my fellow Google travelers. I wish you luck and hope you enjoy the ride.

We had a great experience with all the staff! Michelle was extremely helpful and flexible, she was willing to do what it took to make our day and rentals special. From the woman who helped us in the shop
To the guys who delivered the vehicles, all were calm, happy, professional, relaxed and truly there to serve the public. Thank you all for giving us the opportunity to have a great time. There rentals are up to date and reliable. I was surprised to see they had a Raptor 700 for rent and that was a blast to ride. They have an ATV for all skill levels.

We popped in on the 1st of June while doing a road trip. Our family had an awesome experience! All of us got our own ATV and we set out as a family exploring the dunes. It wasn’t busy that day so the team gave us some extra time. Everyone was great and we had a blast:)
Thanks

We had such a great time here! We were completely inexperienced riders, just here on family vacation. 2 hrs is the perfect amount of time. Super easy to work with for booking, equipment in good working order and an amazing staff! Don’t hesitate to call in if you find yourself in a pickle. Outstanding to work with in a jam. Listen to Michelle!

First time renting the Honda talon and going out to the dunes- the team did a good job of prepping us before going out and educating us of the dangers. We had a great time and would definitely rent from here again!

My husband had a blast driving the dunes. Regina was as nice and friendly as can be. She made sure we were safe and got us geared up with the right helmets and goggles. I highly recommend booking with Ridin' Dirty for exploring the dunes. Bonus content: absolutely beautiful views of the ocean from atop the dunes.
Amy Wagner — Google review
Such an amazing experiencing ATVing with Ridin Dirty!! All of the employees were super nice. They generously gave us extra time on the ATV and helped us to feel safe and taught us how to use the ATV as we were first timers. Highly recommend!!
Sarah Jordan — Google review
Reasonably priced ($125 for 2 hours), lady in charge (owner?) was fantastic and recommended I start off with 2 hours rather than 8 as I had originally planned which was the perfect amount of time and saved me over $200.
I got the wolverine 450, decently powerful machine. Fastest I got was around 28mph which felt plenty fast and had no trouble going up hills.

Gus took care of all our sand tire needs! Great customer service 10/10 would recommend.
Umpqua River Lighthouse Museum Giftshop & Coastal Visitors Center
Museum
Sights & Landmarks
19th-century white brick lighthouse with adjacent Coast Guard museum, tours & gift shop.
We showed up to do a tour and it was closed due to maintenance. The museum host was very gracious and hosted us the next morning. It was a very informative tour with many interesting facts about this specific lighthouses history and the Oregon coasts other lighthouses. Very much enjoyed the 45 min tour in the lighthouse as well the museum. The info just on how the glass lens technology was developed justified the time. Worth the time and small cost!
Michael Olejniczak — Google review
This light house is so unique to the others I've been to in Oregon. You are able to go inside the lens unlike other tours. The tour guides are passionate about their tours and are interactive with their group which is always so fun. The museum has tons to explore and I will definitely be back to see this one at night as it gives off a beautiful red which I've never seen before. Can't wait to visit again!
McKenzie Stewart — Google review
The Umpqua River Lighthouse is a great stop for so many reasons! First, the TOUR. The tour is terrific! I think the cost was $8 per person and for that we got both a guided tour and the opportunity to explore their museum at our own pace. The museum had multiple rooms filled with history on both the lighthouse and the Coast Guard. It was an interesting place to explore and it gave us some context for the building we were about to see. The lighthouse itself was beautiful, but the most amazing part was at the top of the stairs, where we could actually stand inside the revolving lens! I’ve been to many lighthouses and I can honestly say I’ve never had that experience. Plus it’s a very rare red Fresnel lens, so bonus points! Our tour guide, Mike, was incredibly knowledgable. He was full of fascinating facts and stories. We probably could have spent another hour talking to him, but he did have other tours to get to. :) Beyond that, you have the view, which is gorgeous. We stopped at one of the benches and ate our lunch overlooking the sand dunes, forest and ocean beyond. They also have a great little gift shop were you can purchase souvenirs or even grab a light meal. It’s an all around wonderful stop that you don’t want to miss!
Lynette Ertel — Google review
Definitely a cool place to visit. The lighthouse is well maintained, in wonderful condition, and it’s unique 1-red 2-white beam shines 24hrs a day. I highly recommend taking the lighthouse tour, very historically informative and you’re guided to the top! We visited 2 years ago and I failed then to take the tour, and I vowed to return, and we did last Wednesday. Also, great museum and gift shop…food is available at the gift shop too. I wanted to try the chowder, but was too full from earlier breakfast.
Todd I — Google review
I have toured many a lighthouse and this is the best tour. You can climb into the lightroom while it is operating and see the 1st order fresnel lens.
George Scott — Google review
Only 1st order fresnel you can go into on the west coast!! Amazing tours and a great little museum. Highly recommend!! Thanks jim for a great tour!

Cool lighthouse. Able to get great photo on the inside. Interesting history tour. One of the multiple lighthouses on the Oregon coast one needs to see.
David Neely — Google review
I loved the lighthouse. You can tour it and the cute museum for $8. Small tours, informative. The museum was well worth the time too. I learned much about signaling, and the lives of coast guard. Well worth a stop on the way to the beaches and dunes.
Liane Lau — Google review
Really cool thing to see. The Coast Guard maintains the lighthouse and there is a great Coast Guard museum onsite as well. You get a bird's eye view of the jetty and the bar. No boats going either way on this visit! The swells must have been close to 20 feet tall.
Bill McMillan — Google review
Highly recommend the light house tour. You can pop your head into the upper area and see the beautiful ruby and white lens. It took my breath away. The gift shop has wonderful cookies and other desserts.
Jina Barber — Google review
A great place to visit. Lighthouse tour is highly recommended. A nice little snack bar in the gift shop. Great clam chowder!

There is some beauty to be found here in a short break from a coastal drive. One thing missing in Oregon's smaller roads are restrooms. This attraction has some right at the parking lot. It's pay-to-park but my National Forest Pass did the trick. The walk up to the keeper's cottage is nicely maintained and a reasonable slope.

Second time visiting this park, weather was wonderful, park was full, but quiet. Definitely recommend giving it a try, very nice place to relax 😌

This park is great. I have done a ton of scuba diving , kayaking and boating here at eel lake. Just a peaceful spot. Has a boat launch, bathrooms playground and picnic area. Great for fishing.
Ian Maye — Google review
Today I went to participate in the polar plunge for the special Olympics. There was an Easter egg hunt here an hour prior. Lots of smiles everywhere. Before jumping into the lake the coast guard brought their helicopter over to do a training exercise. That was super cool. The wind created by the propellers was pretty powerful. When the coast guard took off our team jumped into the lake. The water took my breath away. But it was sunny out so by the time we got out it was warm again. I had fun and will do this again next year.
Clift — Google review
This spot is easy to miss as you make your way down the 101, however I would keep an eye out for it. Offering open fields, picnic areas, a playground, swimming hole, and much more, Tugman State Park is a great place to pull off the highway and take some leisurely time. My family and I have yet to experience all that the park has to offer, but we do enjoy stopping and stretching our legs. I imagine it's an excellent spot in the summertime.
Matthew Benton — Google review
Stayed in a yurt which had electricity, a heater and sturdy bunk beds. We had a water spigot, picnic bench and fire pit outside.
The camp host sells firewood for $5 a bundle and is open until 8pm.
The bathroom is very close with warm water to wash hands. There is also a shower room on site that is heated.
holly hine — Google review
There is a day use area and the campground area.
Day use area has the playground.
When you drive/walk from campground to day use area, there is an off leash dog park across from campground entrance.
Three loops but only two were open; A and B.
Loop A has restrooms while loop B has restrooms with showers.
Restrooms were well stocked with toilet paper and hand towels but no soap.
Stayed in yurt site N in loop A which is pet friendly.
Yurt mattresses are pretty unforgiving so bring a sleeping pad or other bedding to soften your bed.
There is a full size sofa futon and bunk bed with what appears to be full on top and queen on bottom.
Small table with two chairs.
Three windows.
Heater.
Site had picnic table, firepit, and water spigot.
Can buy firewood from host between 2-8pm for $5.

Tugman is a great get-away campground... typical of a State Park has great amenities... bathrooms are nice...but strict rules on quiet time and allowed stuff in your site!!
Some of the sites at Tugman can be a little tough to back into, and make sure you check through booking your rig will fit in your chosen spot as some are quite short.
Fishing on Eel Lake is great...trout and large mouth bass being most populated in the lake. Fishing from the shore is a bit hit and miss although there is a great fishing dock and ample access to the waters edge.
Geoff Ward — Google review
I hate to give away one of my favorite spots to camp along the Oregon Coast...
The park is always clean and well kept. Including the bathrooms / showers.
One of the things I look for when camping in a RV park is privacy. I prefer a park / camp site with a hedge or bushes giving you, your own little area to relax in.
Added bonus is ell lake right next door to the park.
Lots to do, see and enjoy...

The perfect spot to stop to let your dogs stretch their legs while traveling up 101. Lots of space to walk and sit, lots of picnic tables and plenty of parking. The lake is quite picturesque.
Ian Taber — Google review
Such a beautiful park. There's a nice clean playground for kids to play on. Several picnic tables surrounding the area and even a little swim area attached to the lake. There are also a few hiking trails and boat ramps. A great place for family fun time! Bring the dog, too!

Awesome park and campground. The rangers and hosts are amazing. Excellent lake for kayak and sup. Huge off-leash area for the furry kids.
Marv Olson — Google review
Really nice park! Very well maintained. There is a lake! The day use area is great! The mosquitos are a thing but that's kind of a thing everywhere. The kids and dogs yelling, screaming, and barking were kind of annoying but that's also pretty much everywhere. All in all it's a nice place and we're looking forward to staying there again!

Stayed for 4 days during Easter weekend, It was fun to watch the kids. Soon after 30 min training exercise by Coast guard, was supper cool to see the CG rescuers jump from chopper. Powerfull wind and waves from the CG but so fun. William Turman is my go to place for quick getaway. Always clean and hosts are great.
Alta McCarthy — Google review
Love Tugman Park! Beautiful scenery, great place for a family outing or get together. They have a pavilion to accommodate large parties or groups. Playground for the kids and a trail around the lake.
David Gremillion — Google review
This park is right off Hwy 101 and is easy to find. Unfortunately, you can hear the trucks on the highway from the campground. This park is not on the ocean; it is on a small lake. There is a very small swimming beach and a nice modern playground in the day use area a moderate walk from the campground. There are lots of trees and shade. All sites have power and water which is a nice plus for tent campers. Free, hot showers and flush toilets. Sites are level and have limited privacy. We did not see any programs for children. There are some hiking trails but no signs with distance or difficulty or maps were available. The gate house was staffed and the park was well maintained.
My family and I came out from WA state to experience n explore the Oregon Dunes @Spinreel for both my Sons Birthday. My family and I had such a great time and most definitely be back to experience it again.
We did the two hour tour. Our Tour Guide Wyat gave us an experience we will never forget. He was awesome and ensured we experienced and explored all the Dunes. It was beautiful and exciting climbing and going down the Dunes. Breath-taking ocean views. What a rush♡♡ thank you Spinreel and special thanks to Wyat for making this family Birthday trip my family will always remember ♡

Such an amazing place! I own group homes for adults with disabilities. I brought my clients to the area for vacation and thought it would be fun to take them to the dunes. They had a blast and the staff were so accommodating to my individuals. I would recommend this place to anyone. There is nothing like riding a dune buggy on the beach. Great place with truly unbelievable staff.

We came here on a Saturday at 1 and it was not too busy. The staff was super friendly and got us geared up to go! Two hours was a perfect amount of time for the two of us. The polaris razor had navigation for us to find our way back to the rental shop. We just wish we wore ear plugs. Since it was Easter, we found an egg and got some free ice cream! Super nice touch!
Holli Pruhsmeier — Google review
We had a blast doing this! We brought our dog along which was welcomed, but he probably would have preferred to stay home. The staff was super friendly, helpful, and informative about the area we would be exploring. These dunes are one of the greatest playgrounds in the world. The equipment was top shelf, grade A condition as well. The place runs like their well-oiled machines! A great family-owned business to spend an few hours with.

Highly recommend adding this place to your travel plans! We had the best time and this family owned and operated team was amazing. They even were nice enough to upgrade us to the turbo RZR. We can not say enough great things about them and the experience
Kelsey Prins — Google review
First and foremost, the people working at Spinreel were extremely nice. The man working behind the counter was super understanding and patient.
The beach was very fun and so were the dunes, even though we spent less time there. When I tipped over on the dunes, we called and they helped right away.
They made sure I was okay and safe before checking the vehicle and then helped us from there. It was a unique experience that I really enjoyed and would totally do again!!!
Elizabeth Levins — Google review
Me and one of my friends rented a 2 Seat RZR Turbo S for one hour and had so much fun! The employees have you watch a safety video first, they they look over the vehicle to make sure nothing is wrong with it before you take it out. If you encounter any issues during your rental, they give you contact information and a map to find your way back. I would 100% do this again if I’m ever in the area! Thanks Spinreel for a fun time!!!
Karen Kendzierski — Google review
WHAT A BLAST!! Spinreel was such a cool company to work with. Such a gem. Family owned and operated local spot that’s been there for decades. It’s directly across from paths leading to the dunes and the beach. Can’t get a better location, honestly. All the vehicles were full of gas, permitted and ready to go when we got there. Made such a cool experience very easy. They really go through the safety of the land features and make sure you’re aware of how best to navigate the landscape on your ATV / buggy and of any route closures/weather changes. You don’t need to have experience to have a good time. I didn’t have much practice on 4 wheelers and really enjoyed it! Plus they have the two-seater buggy’s for anyone who doesn’t want to drive the whole time or wants to go with a partner. Those are also more stable. They also have a ton of outerwear merch for sale if you need a sweatshirt or something (which you will, the windchill makes it pretty cold on the dunes even in summer!)
Hallie Walsh — Google review
I had an amazing experience here. All the employees were helpful and kind. They explained the terrains perfectly ,so we knew exactly where to go. The safety video was really informative as it was our first time on the dunes. The location is very close to the dunes which is ideal. They also had lots of options to choose from.

We had a great time, and felt very comfortable and safe. The staff is so nice and make sure you are informed of everything before you go out. They were all very friendly and answered all our questions. We would rent from here again anytime.

We rented a 4-seat RZR and did the Follow Me Tour. Our guide was very friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. He let us switch drivers when we wanted. We saw gorgeous scenery and had an awesome time. We were glad we did the Follow Me Tour rather than renting the equipment and going on our own. I don't think we would have gotten to see and do as much on our own as we did with a guide.

OMG! What a blast. Thought it would just be a moderately paced tour, but our tour guide made this so freaking fun. Loved the quick run at the end. Worth every penny we spent on the follow me tour. We will be back to do it again!

The staff at Spinreel are great to deal with. The girls where very knowledgeable and their riding course is excellent for all riders, especially for the inexperienced riders. The dunes here are excellent also.

Safety first! There was enough information between emails, online and in-person orientations to make my head spin a little bit, but it all made sense once we got onto the trails and dunes. It wasn't cheap, but my family did a 2-hour self-guided excursion and had so much fun! The 4-seat, 1000cc Polaris RZR machine was plenty powerful but safe, sturdy, and had very good suspension so the bumpy trails were not bad at all. We spent more time driving on the beach than anything, and it was amazing! We spent about the last half hour on the dunes, and it was thoroughly enjoyable. If you're in the area, riding the coast and dunes in an ATV is a must!
J. Bergen — Google review
We had a fantastic time on the ATV tour. So much fun and the guide was great! Just FYI, if you're prone to motion sickness, you may want to take something for it beforehand.
Remote wilderness site with canyons & 100-ft. waterfalls, hiking trails & a small picnic area.
One of my favorites to visit. Feels remote. The rainforest jungle vibes are incredibly strong. Dirt road to get to the falls is worthwhile. All three hikes are incredible. I love Oregon so much and I’ll definitely visit this spot time and time again
GameBert — Google review
We came early on a Saturday in late March after a rainstorm and the waterfalls were powerful and huge! Only a few other groups during this time. There are some beautiful flowers starting to pop up. I definitely recommend bringing shoes you are ok with getting muddy since there are some pretty wet sections on the trail. Be careful of slippery rocks as well. Amazing views and great experience! I would say hiking these sections is moderate to hard in some parts with fallen trees to climb over and careful footwork over slippery rocks depending on where you go.
Holli Pruhsmeier — Google review
After reading reviews, we were hesitant to take the drive to these falls. There was mention of 8 miles of gravel road with potholes that leads to the trail heads. But go we did. Turns out it is 5 miles of gravel road with the aforementioned potholes. Very slow going and dusty. It took over an hour to drive from Coos Bay. Which would have been okay if the falls were overly impressive which unfortunately they weren’t. It has been very dry so there was very little water in the falls. There are massive rocks that the falls trickle over. If you want to get a little closer to the falls you will need to climb over fallen rocks. The trails need maintenance as the brush is intruding and parts of the trail are crumbling away. The area has a jungle like feeling with all the trees, ferns and other greenery. There are three trails. One to Silver Falls, one to the bottom of Golden Falls, and one closer to the tops of the falls. We hiked all three and it took about 1 ½ hours. There are restrooms at the trail head, and an information stand. Personally, I would skip it unless the falls were full of water. Not worth getting the car dirty and challenging the suspension!
Sue Wyatt — Google review
Both Falls were manageable to hike to. It was super muddy the day we visited. Well worth the short hike and the drive to get out there. One of the most beautiful waterfalls in Oregon imo 😊
Lambo Man — Google review
Great hike, and the trail was big enough for us to take our huge wagon with is besides climbing the waterfalls.. but still a beautiful hike!!!
Davis Perry — Google review
Good for an overcast day… or rain or shine. Very spectacular… both falls accessible to walks along or up the path. More adventurous can climb up!
Bruce Scambler — Google review
Very nice trail. The fallz are alwayz revitalizing! Not for those with wheelchairs or scooters. Rough terrain but walkable.
James Utley — Google review
These Waterfalls are worth it.
To go to Silver falls I'd recommend out and back on the trail to the left of the lot, we really couldn't find a good way across the falls as the rocks are slick and a lot of steep areas, and didn't want to walk directly under the falls and be wet all day. Bring Bug spray, a good deal of mosquitoes at 2pm.
Golden falls is out and back easy fairly flat trail to spectacular falls.
Getting there: Drive to the end of Oregon 241, once you hit mile marker 19 you will start gravel roads for ~5 miles, only a few potholes but the road is narrow. Can do it in a car but make sure you have good tires, a small to mid sized SUV or truck recommended, not camper or oversized load friendly.
Brittany Rupert — Google review
Beautiful and Prehistoric feel- worth the drive from any location. Easy to moderate hike on a loop around 3 waterfalls with the parking area/restrooms(wells)at center of the three.
Around the waterfalls the hiking gets progressively more difficult (wet/steep)if seeking better or closer views.
R E — Google review
The dirt road wasn't bad at all. The last of the one lane had some potholes but I made it fine in my Corolla. These 3 falls are one of a kind! Highly recommended checking them out! Some of the trail you have to maneuver a bit but not a bad hike to see them all!
Michelle Cross — Google review
Amazing waterfalls and super easy walk for easy access. Not wheelchair accessible

We absolutely love the Golden and Silver Falls in Coos Bay! Very beautiful! A very short and easy hike! Three short trails with two waterfalls! The third trail will take you to the very top of the Golden Falls. This one is a bit steep but not bad at all. Driving to the trailhead was It was easy. Good road. It was such a nice and clean park, with beautiful creek and picnic tables and all. A very family friendly place!
Laid-back budget hotel with relaxed rooms & suites, plus a gym, a hot tub & free breakfast.
We stayed for just one night and it was great. The room was spacious and clean. I'm so glad the jacuzzi was open. It was so relaxing. Breakfast was good. We'll definitely stay here again and hopefully for more than one night. Thank you

First impressions matter. We arrived at 4:00 after driving all day and were told the room wasn’t ready and to come back in 30-60 min. Not a good start. Then we asked for extra pillows and we’re told there were none . Really, in the whole hotel, no extra pillows ? Anyway they did find us some pillows, so things were looking up. The room was clean and the bed was comfy. You have to walk outside to get to the breakfast room which Is fine if the weather cooperates. Location is good. It’s in a parking lot with a cinema , Dollar Tree and a quick walk to Safeway. If you have lots of luggage ask for a room you can park in front of, because there are no luggage carts available

I never stayed here before but the section I stayed had a rustic feel. The rooms clean, cozy, and organized. Good water pressure! The only issue I noticed was the toilet was getting loose and needed a shim, but no ill effect from the issue. I liked the place and would stay here again. I arrived Friday night around 7pm after a long drive. I appreciated the front desk persons good attitude and efficiency. He had a very good attitude.

It was a really nice stay and the front desk had great food suggestions for the local restaurants. This was the nicest quality inn I have stayed at and the beds were super comfortable. Unfortunately their hot tub didn't work when we stayed, but their breakfast had a great selection. Nice artwork in the rooms too. Also great courtyards for kids to play in.

Disappointing overnight stay (with a reservation) while motorcycle touring through the area. Had to quickly change rooms due to soiled walls in the initial room. Second room was marginally better. Overall, the facilities are in need of a thorough cleaning, updates & renovations. Our prior experiences with Quality Inn franchises have been very good; this one needs some attention.

I'm a travel agent. We booked this just as a passing through town option . I usually book middle of the road options but I'm traveling with my husband -let's just say we compromised for this place. The lobby is unexpectedly nice and the exterior of the hotel looked nice as well. We checked in and drove down to our room. With two kids luggage to our room was easy as we parked almost right outside of our room. The downfall was the key cards seemed over used and they never worked on the first 10-15 swipes. The room was okay nothing fancy but just as I expected. The hotel was next to Ross, the Human Bean and a variety of restaurants and stores. The included breakfast is great if you like waffles but the eggs seemed very fake and the sausages looked greenish. They did have cereal and bagels but I wouldn't book the room for the free breakfast.

The room is nice. I like the laminate flooring. Beds are very comfortable. The roll on shower is good but a tile one would give it an extra appeal. Still 8t was good. I would definitely stay here again if I'm in the area.

Kiara and Jai are two very valuable front desk employees. Both were extremely helpful, pleasant and genuinely kind. This hotel was wonderful. Great location. Clean and large rooms. But what made the stay enjoyable was the great staff. Please acknowledge and reward them for setting and upholding a standard all hotels should provide.

I always wonder about owners of franchise hotels. It must be very difficult to find people who are reasonably priced to work on basic upkeep. The service at the Quality Inn was good. Brook, Sara, and Jai were polite and helpful. The price per night was good. I didn't make it to breakfast even though we were there 2 days and nights, so I can't comment on that. I felt the room was a bit on the small side. Tight for 2 people, but what the heck, I've stayed in smaller rooms all over Europe. The beds were comfortable and very clean, as were the sheets and pillows. The TV worked. The tiny bath had a good working shower. There is some deferred maintainance and very dated fixtures in the room. IMO, the decor was non-existent. No real issues though. Inexpensive and clean.

The hotel is great for weekend getaways to the coast. My wife and I have been here 3 times and each time the service and rooms are great. There is lots of green space for our service dogs to be comfortable running around. The rooms are clean in our experience. The breakfast is quite good. This last visit saw only a few guests staying, but the breakfast was just as it is when the place is full. The location is great in respect to access to things in the area. All in all, it is a comfortable consistently clean place. It has become our go to in the Coos Bay area.

We were planning on staying at a different hotel nearby which, we didnt know was not a good place to stay. When they said they were full even though we had reservations i gave this place a call. They were super friendly and very understanding of our situation. Brook checked us in and suggested some places to check out, which we did and loved. I was grateful they had rooms available and very grateful for Brook! Thanks again.

The rooms are definitely old but they are pretty clean overall. This is set up more like a motel than a hotel with exterior hallways right to the doors. Overall, the service was great and the breakfast was a standard continental setup. I will say the TV was considerably smaller than I would have thought for a king suite.
Brian Babcock — Google review
The rooms were great, and the free breakfast was the best to note: cinnamon or classic waffles, bagels, eggs and sausage and, the king of it all, tabasco. Great place to stay. My only dislike was my uncomfortable experience with the beds. The television was relatively small for the distance of the beds to the screen. However, I was overall pleased with my stay and will take into account my experience here if I come by again.

We checked in (the staff proudly told us our room had been recently renovated with new flooring about 5 months ago) and then we explored the North Bend/Coos Bay area. When we returned after dinner we were extremely upset. We saw mold in the shower, dirty walls, dirty doors and the new floor was filthy. Please see the attached pictures to support what we experienced. This town had many independent properties, and we selected this Quality Inn property based on their reputation and their quality guidelines. By the time we returned to the property it was too late to find another option. We didn’t use the shower and had to wear socks - the only positive I can say was the bed was comfortable. I will be contacting corporate to share my concerns.

I booked two room through a booking agency. An hour before our arrival authorities closed HWY101 due to a fire. I contacted the booking agency and Quality Inn whom told me to be in contact with them and let them know by 9:00pm if I was not going to make it so they could book the room, giving me a higher probability of getting my money back.
At 8:50pm I called and explained that the road was still closed. Around 10pm I called back because the road was opened. I asked if my rooms were still available, the representative informed me that they had been booked. I asked them if I would get my refund and they told me I would have to talk to the manager. I spoke to the manager and she would not allow a refund. I asked her why I wouldn't get my refund back if they booked the room (recovering the revenue) and I was not given access to the rooms. She told me she was not authorized to give refunds, that I had to call their corporate office or my booking agency. I told her I had the booking agency in three way and that the booking agency no longer had my money. She told me she was busy and needed to get off the phone. Today I called the corporate office and they told me that the hotel manager is the one that is authorized to give refunds.
I called my bank and filed a fraud claim. The hotel made twice the revenue on these two room and refused to refund my money. They were misleading in telling me that if I cancelled by 9:00pm I'd have higher probabilities of getting my money back. They were rude and misleading. This trip was to celebrate my graduation from an MBA program and instead I got ripped off $400 and was obligated to drive 16 hours in a car with a 1 month and 1 year old baby. Quality Inn put my family in harms way by acting unprofessional and unethically.

I don't understand all the bad reviews. We had a fantastic stay in every way. The room was large and clean, the hardwood floors were nice, king size comfy bed, large bathroom with a great shower, easy parking, very quiet, and the receptionist was outstanding. Next time we visit we will def stay here.

I called and asked about the hot tub, and honestly, that's the reason I chose to stay here. I was assured it was working. After checking in, I was told it's broken. What a scam!!! I took a shower and the fire alarm kept going off and maintenence came in while I was in a towel and removed the alarm completely. He said he would bring a new one but never did. I asked for bottom floor due to health issues and was told we would be on the bottom floor but upon check in, we were booked on the top floor. I was told basically it is what it is. I will never book here again and was extremely disappointed.

I wasn’t expecting a whole lot based on the pricepoint as we only needed a clean place to spend the night. Upon arrival the room had a very strong musky smell and toilet didn’t flush. The smell was bad but probably would have made it work if the toilet flushed.
Returned to front desk and receptionist was kind and understanding and offered us another room. Door to second room wouldn’t open, so returned for new keys to try again. Still wouldn’t open.
Reception apologized again, but didn’t offer any other solution and suggested we reach out to manager the next day about a refund. We left and found another place to stay.
After several calls, I was told the Manager denied a refund for a stay we didn’t make.
Maybe you will have better luck than we did, but can’t recommend this hotel.

Room was outdated, carpet very dirty looking has stains. Overpriced in my opinion. Lamp has rust spots, as does door. Was raining and dark when I stopped. The lobby was nice looking, too bad the rooms are not the same. Front desk employee was very nice. But I would not stay here again.

Room was outdated, dark, musty, and really not clean. BUT the bed was clean and comfortable and the staff, THE STAFF ARE AWESOME! Actually all three was excited to be there. would not let anyone walk by them without checking if we needed anything, or asked if our stay was going well. for the price, will definitely be back! oh, the lady doing the breakfast was super awesome!!!!

This place is clean, really clean!
The staff are friendly and professional and checking in only took a few minutes.
The rooms are huge and the beds are ridiculously comfortable.
You're not going to find anything that comes close when it comes to price.
Relaxed rooms & suites in a waterfront hotel with a casino, 5 eateries & an indoor pool.
We have been here a few times and we always enjoy our stay. The staff is extremely friendly and the property is very well maintained and clean. There is a great selection of slots and table games with dealers that are fun.
Our last stay was during an event which was a little overwhelming right around show time just due to the volume of people crowded around.
The sports bar was impossible to get into which we were looking forward to watching a game there on our last night and couldn’t because of people just camping out, so we had to watch the game above the blackjack tables, not a huge deal.
I think they need one more small side bar somewhere on the gaming floor to accommodate people who are actually staying at the property and are there to play. The cocktail servers are great but they can only do so much when the casino is jam packed.
All in all, we will be back!!

We had a fun and relaxing stay at the casino. The only reason this is not 5 stars is that smoking is allowed in the main casino. They do not filter the air enough to scrub the smell. We did most of our fame play in the non-smoking side room. Our room had a great view and the bed was comfy. The staff are very kind and helpful. Would come again.

Stopped by the Mill Casino after a day of sightseeing. Really enjoyed ourselves and even won some money. We also ordered a night meat lover's pizza from the Timber Cafe, which was very tasty. The pizza had sausage, pepperoni, prosciutto, and house-made San Marzano tomato sauce. Loved the prosciutto on it. Casino closed at midnight, which was perfect since we had a two hour drive back to Harbor, where we are staying right now.

We stopped in the mill casino for a little gambling. After that, we grabbed a snack in their little sports bar. We waited for a server to take our order for quite a while he seemed disappointed when we didn't want to get alcoholic beverages and just wanted soda. We ordered the nachos with the steak. The trunks of steak were huge. We'll thin flat wide long. They were hard to cut through. They weren't easy to eat at all. Everything on the nachos seemed to kind of taste the same. It was not a good choice for us. Nobody checked back on this after they dropped off the nachos to see how we were doing no drink refills were given. When we were ready to leave. We couldn't even find somebody to get us our ticket. We had to wait and wait, so that was disappointing. We will eat here again perhaps they were understaffed that day. I don't know. We definitely won't order the nachos next time. The food looked so much better than it tasted, unfortunately. This is a cute little casino that we like to stop at often.

Casino was fun, table games close early though, so if you don't like slots, go early. Nice comfortable room, but housekeeping was banging on our door as we were getting ready 2 minutes after check out time. We thought it was 11 not 10. Told them we were almost ready, 5 minutes later they started calling every 5 minutes. I understand that we were late checking out but after we said we were almost ready to go, the excessive pestering was over the top and ruined the stay. We checked in late as it was a long drive, discussed staying another night but after the hounding we decided against it. Went down the road to the Red Lion for a second evening and had a good stay there. 10 am checkout is a little early I feel for a Casino, but albeit the way the staff treated us for running 35 minutes over was absolutely ridiculous. Casino was fun and friendly, the hotel staff was not.

What can I say!! Thanksgiving dinner at the mill casino salmon room was amazing!! I would have, an almost took pictures of all the amazing food they had laid out but didn't want to seem like a tourist foodie nut!! From the person who checked us in to the last person we talked to before we left were super friendly an provide excellent service!!! My son is super allergic to nuts!! Being a retired chef myself I knew the one person for sure who would know if anything on the buffet has nuts, the chef would, an took time to tell us what had nuts, an he was very helpful, thank you so very much!! We look forward to coming back for dinner on Xmas!! I'm a fat person an my 4 favorite words are all you can eat!! So Maybe think about doing a buffet once a month or on the weekends!! Just saying, no good buffet for 100 miles!!! Do theme meals like seafood, BBQ, Italian, German, South American, Native American, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Hawaiian, Mediterranean, fusion!! Its a untapped market here! I know you folks have done away with your buffet, but if you make it limited or just weekends it would do well I'm sure!! An get people into the casino that may not come in normal or make the casino a weekend destination!! Did take one picture of one of my plates!!

We decided to road trip down the 101 and had a planned stop at The Mill. We are so glad we did! After staying in some budget hotels, this was a nice change of pace. Rooms were great, beds were comfy, and staff were friendly. Unknowingly, I parked on the Casino side and started hauling my baggage over. The shuttle stopped right by me and the driver said, "You probably want to get on." It would have been a long haul with my two little kids and all our bags, I was very grateful! Only there one night so I didn't find time to hit the slots, but the casino area was nice. We would certainly stay here again.

We originally wanted to stay in Reedsport but couldn't find a motel with good reviews. It was well worth the drive to North bend and The Mill casino. We only went for the rooms. Not gambling. The restaurant was pretty good. Service was GREAT from the Motel check-in onward. The rooms were beautiful. Sparkling clean and modern, a bit pricey. The grounds outside were kept up immaculate, like they had pride in this place. I'd for sure stay again.

Honestly the mattress was terrible. Like terrible. Very firm and cheap and all of our pillows had weird little lumps.
Worst decision ever for hotels.
Food there is really good. Restaurant service was great and front desk service was average. Probably good for that town but I’ll stay somewhere else next time and just eat there.

We love this local casino! It's the best in the area. Good assortment of games and food inside. Always a blast for a short date, if you enjoy slots/gambling. They have great events they host regularly and the staff is always phenomenal! ❤️

Their restaurants were closed when we stopped by on two different occasions. We enjoyed having lunch at the sports bar while watching pro football games. Made enough money on the slots to pay for our meals. Yes, we'd visit this casino again. Liked the friendly staff.

I can't say enough great about the staff at the Mill especially Lucinda. I work for a large organization and was planning lodging for several executives for a meeting held in North Bend. It was my first big trip and I was really nervous. Every step of the way Lucinda was right there to help. Her professionalism and assistance was exemplary. The rooms were wonderful- clean, spacious and a beautiful aesthetic based in nature. It was a wonderful place to lodge for the night and everyone I booked was extremely happy. With Lucinda's help I looked really good to my supervisor and the executives I planned lodging for.

My fiance and I played slots at the Mill Casino and had an outstanding time!! The games and facility as a whole was very clean and alot of FUN!?
I have to say the entire staff was very nice, however 'Doug' was extremely nice and got our players cards for us and answered all our questions. It was clear to us that he takes pride in his job and responsibilities while working the casino floor.
I wouldn't hesitate in coming to this casino. Friendly staff, lots of different slots and tables to choose from and a great view of the water right outside the casino door!
Thanks Again Doug for making us feel welcome and being a professional 👍🏻

It's a decent casino and is kept very clean, and the staff is polite, courteous, and attentive. Free beverages are provided at a soda fountain, and the bathrooms are immaculate.
The only problem with the location is that the outdoor concert event space doesn't have much room, which made the sound a little off.
Further, when I went to get my players club card, instead of just getting like $10 of free play as I have at literally every other casino I've visited, they give you free play after you spend money on the slots and do a little mini game on special machines next to the Players Club. I was a bit annoyed by that, but it is easily overlooked by the many positive aspects the Mill has to offer.
They do a lot of events and social gatherings, and the outdoor concert and food truck exhibition was open to all ages, so there's plenty of reasons to visit, even for those who aren't old enough to go to a casino game floor, or who are not interested in gambling.
I didn't stay in the hotel but I hear it is nice, and I didn't use the RV park, but driving past it, I could see that it looked very nice. I recommend it as a vacation stop for people looking for a jumping off point for activities in the area.

Nice Casino. Good variety. I will never rate a casino a five unless they go fully non smoking
It is ridiculous in this day that we still have to deal with casinos that allow smoking. EVEN Nevada casinos are going non. Come on, its way past time . Think about half your customers not to mention the health of your staff. Out side of that lovely casino.

Its a good casino with every game you can think of. I will say that if you dont have valid ID on you i wouldnt recomend visiting. Security is unreasonably tight. I got carded in there for absolutely no reason and unfortunately didnt have my picture ID on me so i was told that i had to leave while the rest of my family had a good time. It was pretty lame especially because i am 42 years old with a full beard. Not sure why security felt the need to check my id.

Most of the staff were great, especially at the little Cafe. We got a King water view. The rooms were nice but,I would have loved to had a hot cup of coffee in the morning in my pajamas looking at the bay. Not get dressed walk downstairs for a cup a coffee. How cheap can you be. No coffee makers no microwave. So if I want a second cup either have to go downstairs again or drink it cold. Because of this I won't be back.

Stayed 1 night in a king-sized bed room in the tower.
The service was excellent. The front desk recommended that I complete my booking online since that was the least expensive way to book.
The room was very nice. No coffee pot in the room, but very good complimentary coffee downstairs. Did notice that you could hear loudly when anyone closed their door. Also heard the jake-brakes of the trucks on the street.
Gambled for a couple of hours and noticed the machines are very tight.

Not one interaction was pleasant with any of the staff. The cage was annoyed when we went to cash a ticket. The bartender was too busy with either regulars or friends to pour us a $7 glass of Coors Light (no not a picture). We drove a few hours to play some Pai Gow and the tables weren't open yet. When we asked when they would we were told 5. After waiting a few hours five o'clock rolls around and the pit boss decided not to open a Pai Gow table until 7pm. No we didn't ask anyone else, just drove a few hours back to our hotel. Lots of casinos around and we'd recommend any other one in the area.

This was over priced. No microwave or coffee pot in the room. Refrigerator froze water and Gatorade. I would like to see grab bars in the showers. Old people need them. The wind was howling through the window because the weatherstripping was badly worn. It was so bad it moved the closed drape.

Room was a Tower, double queen. Most of the view was of the rooftop below. Small room, no coffee pot, no microwave, no bathroom fan. Expected more for $200. Cafe, no table service. Dinner Casino Restaurant was very expensive to me, for example... Rib Eye w/mushrooms (best part of the entire meal) with risotto and vegetables $54, Fettuccine $37 and $15 extra if you add shrimp (This was dinner w/soup or salad, and they charged $3 extra for the soup). Do not order the Short Ribs unless you have a machete to cut the ball of meat. 3 people, plus 20% gratuity $180. Next time, I'll try another Hotel.

Coastal views, formal gardens & trails at day-use park open till dusk daily; no dogs & parking fee.
A very nice state park. I was there on a calm wave day but the views were still tremendous. The sandstone and unique geology of the this area is on full display here. Some good came out of the 1929 economic crash which forced the sale of this property to the state as this place is too special for a private residence.
Numerous hiking trails leave the park from the north and south connecting with the Oregon Coast Trail. All of my hikes revealed great vistas. Once you tire of the view from above, there is a trail to Simpson beach from the back of the gardens. It is a sandy pocket beach on the south edge of the park which offers some more great views.

Perched on a scenic bluff above the Pacific Ocean, Shore Acres Garden was built in 1910 as a private estate with luxurious gardens featuring trees, shrubs, and flowering plants brought from around the world aboard the sailing ships of pioneer lumberman and shipbuilder Louis J. Simpson. A beautiful place to stroll around on a sunny autumn afternoon. Still lots of flowers in bloom to see.

Shore Acres has so much beauty to see! From the botanical gardens that boast beautiful roses, rhododendron bushes blooming to the sky, tulips, and all kinds of greenery (you can even have a wedding there!), to Simpson beach were you can find seashells smaller than a fingernail! Even on a cloudy day when the water is murky, it is still quite beautiful. There are many trails along the coastline to hike as well. It is $5 to park inside ($1s or $5s only, no change given) but well worth it to catch glimpse of chipmunks, deer, and even bunnies!

Super easy to book online, parking was plentiful. Short walk to get to the venue itself. There are plenty of places to explore and hike. We went there specifically for the light festival which was amazing. Free hot cocoa and cider inside the historic home which you can explore. The walk wasn't bad at all once there and we saw plenty of people in wheelchairs. Service dogs are only allowed. The gift shop however was generic and expensive.

This is one of my most favorite places to visit on the entire Oregon Coast. The gardens are spectacular in every season, most especially Spring and Summer. The views of the Pacific and the waves crashing onto the boulders and cliffs are always worth seeing, especially as the tide is coming in and also during big storms, just make certain to prepare by wear appropriate clothing and gear or it's going to be a miserable, soggy trip home.

Shore Acres is an Oregon state park treasure. It’s a must see if you’re in the Coos Bay Area especially for gardeners or flower lovers. The best time to visit is in the late spring or summer when flowers are in bloom. It’s also worth a visit around Christmas to see the lights.
There is a lot of history to the grounds and you can learn from the sign posts or the staff giving presentations.
The photos of the grounds and plants speak for themselves. Outside of the gardens there is a viewing platform and a great view of the ocean.

In 1907 Louis Simpson began building his first mansion on the bluff as a Christmas present for his wife Cassie. In 1927, six years after Cassie Simpson died, Louis and his second wife gave the Cape Arago portion of the estate to the state of Oregon. In 1942 the Simpsons sold the remainder of the estate to Oregon for the development of a public park. The rock formations in the bluff is truly unique. Shore Acres garden is worked on by volunteers, what a gift! We visited at just the right time, where we can see the light green shade of new grass and new leaves, and the Rhododendrons and Azaleas are in full bloom. There are many paths to explore, the longest one goes to Sunset Beach. It was lovely to sit in the garden. In the UK, there would be a cafeteria where we can enjoy tea and elevenses. When I first discovered Shore Acres on Google, I had no idea we'd be able to spend such a lovely time walking around and exploring. This is going on our must visit list for next time.

Beautiful park with natural beauty. We drove through on our way to the viewpoint. We stopped at the gift shop that offered a wide variety of souvenirs and trinkets. The public restroom was available, but a fairly long walk from the gift shop itself. Not what one would call handicap accessible with the long walk on uneven sidewalks. Just up the road is viewpoint for watching sea lions and seals, as well as other wildlife and birds.

Wow! I saw seals, Sea lions, otters, and surfers. Made me jealous. The waves were absolutely humongous and the ocean was beautiful. The big spruce, firs and pines are amazing. Great place to spend time with your family and they even have a great Beach.

Just Beautiful!!!
Was there for The King Tide.
Would love to return in the future and see more of it.
If you're in the area, stop by. You won't be disappointed.
Headland with sea views, a picnic area & cove trails leading to beaches & tidepools.
Both the North and South beaches offer amazing views. We saw deer roaming around and the whale watchers were in abundance. Easy to get to. We went on a Friday afternoon so parking and access were uncrowded.

Beautiful views along the way to the end of Cape Arago Hwy! There are a lot of viewpoints and even a cute little spot for a picnic. Even a bench to sit and read a book while overlooking the ocean. At low tide, there is a (steep) path that takes you down to the beach and to the tide pools. At one of the viewpoints, you can hear the sea lions! There are lots of hikers and families along this route, so definitely go the speed limit and mind your steps along the cliffs!

Such a beautiful park, showcases the Oregon coastline. We saw some sea lions and the coastline rock formations are amazing, you can go down below and climb back up if you have the ability to do that. If not, the views are scenic. I recommend going to this place. The comfort rooms/washrooms were closed though when we were there temporarily. Expect strong winds and erratic weather since it's the coastline!

Amazing, we lucked out, and there were hundreds of sea lions. It was so cool, and they were even closer than they were at the sea Lion caves. I don't know how often they are here on the rocks, but it was amazing to see them.

We saw sea lions lounging on the rocks in the North Cove. Amazing view, huge feisty waves rolling on the shore.

One of the most beautiful hikes I've been on. Gorgeous views and we saw seals and sea lions. Bring the family, binoculars, sunglasses, a hat, a good camera and a jacket cuz it's windy.

Great views and tidepools on the south side. The path is pretty steep and only paved part of the way. Be prepared to maneuver a small path atop a 5 foot drop from cliff to beach and climb over rocks and logs.

Beautiful. This entire area is gorgeous. We went at low tide, the "rough and rugged" coast did not disappoint! Much to see and do with a nice walking beach with easy access is near by. A don't miss when in the area. Much more to see near by with the Shore Acres botanical garden near by. We will be going back often.

One word: “Beautiful”!
I was only able to see the very end, Cape Arago portion of the park. I hiked down to the ocean’s edge. Not advisable as there is a lot of loose gravel. Easy to slip and fall into rough waves and rocks. I did get some nice photos. Also, hundreds of seal lions close by. I enjoyed their barking.

Awesome view points but the path to see the tide pools was blocked on the north side. There’s an island of sea lions off the actual coast like 1.5 miles out (not accessible) that you can see from one of the view points.

Cape Arago is a hidden gem! Seriously, I’m torn over giving it the glowing review it deserves or keeping it a secret for myself and other locals! It’s hardly ever crowded with tourists, but the sweeping ocean views are spectacular. It’s worth the detour off the 101 for sure, not just for it specifically, but for the stops along the way as well. If you have the time, there’s a short paved trail to a viewpoint of the seals and sea lions that is simply incredible. They have bathrooms but they’ve been closed everytime I’ve gone there, however there are flush toilets at sunset beach which is not far away on the same road. Most of the views are accessible however the sea Lion tail would be difficult to navigate a wheelchair due to the steep dips and bumpy old pavement. There are some really lovely picnic table spots right at the cliffs edge where you can listen to the barking of the seals and the crashing of the waves.

There is such good tide pooling in this park! We ended up spending most of our time here, it was fabulous! In addition to checking out all of the small critters, we also saw a gray whale, sea lions, and seals!

This place is beautiful, I would definitely suggest checking it out!! You could see the spouts of whales when looking over the ocean. What a beautiful place to be in the summer for sure!!
Picturesque red-and-white lighthouse dating to 1896, open for visits during summer months.
It’s a nice drive to get there and a peaceful scenic walk up to and around the lighthouse with great views of the river, ocean and wildlife and a different perspective of Bandon.
Caleb Murphy — Google review
Coquille River light is a small historic lighthouse that traditionally guided ships in the night. It’s not the huge, towering lighthouse like Yaquina Bay or Heceta Head, buts it’s interesting nonetheless. The park and beach access makes a good stop to stretch your legs from a long drive.

I'm visiting from Illinois and this was a nice little drive after being down on the beach earlier in Bandon. The lighthouse has an interesting story, and the view from this side of the river was really nice. It was windy, but at least the sun was out while I was there.
The lighthouse does do a tour, but I'm here during the off season so no tours yet. I'm sure if you are interested you can look up the website and it will give more information.
Be aware, if the tide is in and if there is any type of storm, don't go climbing around this area, it can be dangerous. There are signs posted to also stay off the jetty.
PS: if you are a geocacher there are some in and around Bandon.

Cute old Lighthouse. Beautiful beach area. We were traveling the coast on vacation and came here on Friday afternoon.
They were closed when we got there around 2:30 which was frustrating.
But, cute little place.
Great ice cream close by in town at Face Rock Creamery.

My partner and I visited in the summer of 2021 and visiting the lighthouse was an amazing experience. So much enriching history. The doors are padlocked and you can’t physically enter the lighthouse but you can climb the steps to the entrance. It was windy and blowing lots of sand but nonetheless beautiful

I'm such a big fan of lighthouses. This is a nice little drive from hwy101 north of Bandon. This is one of the easiest access to a lighthouse I've come across on the coast. You drive right up to the parking area and just a very short walk you're there. Beautiful surroundings with wonderful views. If you're visiting the town of Bandon, this is one of the must do items.
Davin — Google review
It's a fair little drive off the main road to get here and phone reception is not the best. The lighthouse itself is okay but it's accessessable down to the beach (maybe not for elderly or disabled though as far as I can tell) and you can walk down the pier. You can really feel the power of the ocean here and it's a great view
Jimmy H — Google review
The lighthouse was very cute. There is a small visitor's center inside. You cannot climb up the tower but you can look up it through a gate. I know you can't control the weather but it is in a very windy location so if you try to walk out towards the beach, prepare for a lot of sand in your face. We were covered when we left. It is still beautiful but just plan accordingly.

Really wanted to get some good Drone pics but it was way to windy I'll get some better pics next time but this is a fun spot to stop care full at the end of the jetty it is very slippery, definitely read the history I find that stuff cool, I almost didn't visit this one cuz it's so far south, but it has interesting historical relevance. The beach is nice, It seems to have a decent amount of drift wood heavy logs, and debris might have been the time of year. I'll dbl check when I drive the coast this summer. Some rolling style dunes so good hike to run a puppy on

It was too dangerous to get across all the logs and driftwood to try to walk on the beach.
Washed Ashore Gallery & Volunteer Workshop is a unique stop where you can witness intricate sculptures and art installations created from recycled ocean debris. The gallery showcases larger-than-life sculptures of marine life made entirely from plastics found on beaches, serving as a powerful reminder of the impact of plastic pollution on our oceans. Founded by Bandon artist Angela Haseltine Pozzi, this working gallery aims to raise awareness and spark conversations about ocean debris.
Washed Ashore is an artist that takes garbage, plastics, anything found on the local beaches and turns it in to art...jelly fish, puffin bird, sea horse, sword fish, etc. It's was hard to find the gallery. So look for the Sea food market and there's a warehouse looking building there with a lot of different local artists. It's must see

I was very impressed by their ability and artistic vision. They utilize trash derived from the sea, all of humanities detritus, junk and cast-off's to make some really cool sculptures. Unfortunately, during the SARS-CoV-2, they were closed but the outside exhibit was still fun and reasonably well attended.

Such incredible art. This is art with a purpose. They take trash that has washed ashore and turn it into incredible pieces. The greeter was very friendly and informative. No charge to enter. They have a small gift shop that sells repurposed plastics. You can sign up for a volunteer workshop and become a part of the solution. Visit their website for info.

This unique art exhibit is free to visit. They take trash found all around Oregon's coast and recycle it into art. Its "sadly beautiful". There are signs for each of the pieces to raise awareness on how individual species are affected by the trash in the sea. It's all done though volunteer work and you can help them by creating pieces for their next exhibit. A great place to take kids for the interaction and education.

This place was fantastic and sad. Fantastic art from the trash cleaned up. Friendly people full of information work here.
The art was astounding and fun to see what things are used in each piece.
I had to ask (since it's a non profit clean up/awarness) if they take donations. They do have a box for donations by the door.
The Bandon South Jetty Park is a magnificent coastal park in Oregon that offers breathtaking views of the ocean and rocky beachfront. The park boasts an old town charm and the delightful taste and aroma of fresh seafood. Visitors can enjoy walking along the beaches, hunting for shells or rocks, or simply relaxing and watching the sunset. One of the best sights ever on the coast, it is highly recommended as an exceptional place to visit.
One of many great beach access points. For such a small town, Bandon has some of greatest beaches on the Oregon coast. It’s a nice place to see the merge of wildlife between fresh and saltwater at the mouth of the Coquille River. Catch a sunset here or just sit back and watch the tide roll up the river, you can’t go wrong.

Like all the beaches around here, simply stunning. Nice restrooms with outdoor shower for cleaning off sand. Lots of beautifully colored, polished pebbles in tide lines. Watch the tides coming in, up to 10 feet of difference between low and high and the occasional sleeper wave.

This is a really cool old lighthouse that you can still go into. You can walk all the way out on a nice day to the end, but I wouldn't recommend it on days that are stormy. This is from the other side. Nice restrooms by the beach parking lots or beach access in Oregon. Unlike California...

Bandon is not the prettiest beach in Oregon but it's still cool. There are lots of rock formations. There are also interesting rocks to be found here at low tide. This particular entrance is nice because there are no stairs. My mom is really old and can't manage high beach accesses with a hike down.

Get some lunch to go from the pier or coffee and come enjoy the view, sound, and have a walk on the beach.
Even when it's covered by sea fog. It's a wonderful place.
Just remember. Never turn you back on the Ocean, it may come up and say hi.
While you are looking at that pretty rock.
Small waterfront park with picnic tables, beach access & views of landmark sea stacks.
Beautiful beach that is quite long for a walk or run. Almost all the sand is smooth wet sand so it is hard and you can wear shoes. The rock formations are very cool. It is best to go at low tide and see all the tide pools and creatures around the bottom of the rocks. One of the most beautiful beaches I have been on.
Kevin M — Google review
Face rock is the most bizarre and incredible rock formation I’ve seen on the Oregon coast. This viewpoint is sweeping and breathtaking. There are pit toilet bathrooms which are accessible. The parking is small and can fill up. There’s a trail down the bluff to the beach below. It’s steep but not unmanageable. One down on the sand, you can walk in both directions right along the rock formations. Sometimes the wind can make the blowing sand miserable. Still, this is a must see place on the Oregon coast.
Laurel Hoffman — Google review
A favorite spot on the coast to watch the waves crash against the sea stacks. Hope you can find "face rock". She's looking up and pointed to the right. It's also fun to watch the sand art from above if you happen upon that particular weekend.
Melissa Jones — Google review
Beautiful and easily accessible spot for viewing all the named sea stacks and beach below. There's a staircase that goes down to the beach itself. It was extremely windy the day we were there, so there was sand basically sandblasting everyone even up on the cliff above the beach. The wind was actually a little better down on the beach and there was less sand pelting us down there. Nice spot though.

A fantastic little spot! The views were incredible, the beach access was easy to navigate and it was very clean. We especially loved seeing the rainbow colored rocks and will research more on the geology.

Beautiful spot to stop in with the family and your pup! Ample parking and great views! There is a long staircase down to the beach, so unfortunately it’s not great for accessibility.

Absolutely stunning. Bring sunglasses or regular glasses, eye protection of some sort and wrap up your hair in a hoodie or something. There is a lot of sand that blows about as it is very windy and without eye protection it can be difficult to enjoy the beautiful views from the beach. Sunglasses definitely made it more enjoyable. Our daughter has longer hair and a ponytail was not enough, she had to wrap her hair in her hood so that she could see. We had a kite with us and it was so fun. The plastic kites will shred here. We had a nice, durable fabric kite to play in the wind with and it was a very nice time. This is a beautiful place. A must see.

This beach is one we hit daily when we visit Bandon. The rocks are interesting, there are tons of shells, agates, sea glass, and interesting collectibles to be had. During low tide there are really good tidepools, and ocean animals like seals, murres, crabs, and gaper clams. The access area at the top has restrooms and parking, with a nice set of stairs down the cliff.
Rebecca Freeman — Google review
The special thing about this beach is that during the summer if low tide is between 6:00 and 10:00 AM a local group of artists create a huge, extremely creative labyrinth. Takes at least 40 minutes to walk. Different every time. Popular, so they have a shuttle from a nearby park, use it! Of course the beach and rocks are the usual stunningly beautiful.
21-acre walk-through zoo with Bengal tigers, snow leopards, capybara, emus & a petting area.
Wow. They have so many animals! This is actually a pretty neat experience! The animals are so beautiful. The animals are close up, so you don’t need to try to find them like at other zoos, and they have a neat experience where you can even learn about and pet certain animals they bring out during their show and tells! Definitely a fun experience! We came by this place by accident, and glad we stopped by! The staff are really knowledgeable and very kind as well.

The ANIMALS were amazing. And the STAFF was super friendly and GREAT. But... The condition of the park was SO sad... The tigers cage had a snapping electric fence wire, I'm pretty sure the electric wire on the Lions cages were actually dead. The poor elk had absolutely no grass to eat... And ALL the animals cages needed a SERIOUS cleaning... It was SO depressing...

I looked forward to the experience… but honestly the animals looked really sad. And some looked like they were way too skinny. I love walking around the deer… that’s was cool. I don’t think some of the animals have enough space to live well and have an active life. The park does allow you to pet small animals with supervision (that you would normally not encounter). The staff appeared to be knowledgeable.

We found the flyer at a hotel, though it would be fun to stop on our way up to Depot Bay. LOTS of goats to feed. But fun. We must have hit nap time. Most of the animals were not out to see.

The staff were knowledgeable and friendly for the most part. Seems like the park is underfunded. A lot of the enclosures seem to be the originals from the 50s. Dilapidated for sure. None of the animals look happy. It's a cool place to stop if you like seeing depressed animals, or if you have kids. The kids won't notice.

We had a great time yesterday at the Safari Park. I could have stayed and interacted with this beautiful 4 month old Jaguar and 5 month old brown bear all day! The handlers are very educated and have extensive knowledge of the animals. The memories and pictures are worth the price. I have been here atleast 5 times and its great. The animals are NOT pacing in their enclosures like I have seen at other zoos in California. They seem peaceful. You always see the workers involved and cleaning out their habitats. Take your family here for a unique experience.
Mindy Peppers — Google review
I do not recommend visiting. Most of the signs for the animals are so faded and worn that you can not read the information. Many of the animal enclosures are empty. The prices on the website are outdated. The senior price was $21.50 plus a $2.00 processing fee. Not worth the money. Go to the Wildlife Safari in Winston, OR. The best part was listening to the male lion grunt and learning about the black Jagurier.
Cheryl Holmes — Google review
The Assistants were nice. The Manager was rude. So rude that in a random conversation the next day an 8yr old happened to mention "the lady that was rude".. The animal's are in small pens; not a roaming preserve.; there is no room for them to run. Animals that are prey are in sights of predators. The signs were outdated, faded, and unreadable.
I know it is difficult to care for these animals, year long, and to get help with adequate trained staff. This place needs help.
Mark Schaffner — Google review
I don’t understand the bad reviews. My family had a great time! Employees were very attentive to the animals and seemed to really love them. We watched as one of the camel babies was loving on one of the employees. It was really sweet. They all seem to love their job. The park was clean in my opinion. There are numerous goats and deer that walk with you through the park which was such a great experience. So the droppings were expected. The price I thought was very fair considering that the money goes straight to the animals and to maintain the park. Overall I thought this was such a fun experience and would return 100 percent if we pass thru the area again!

Absolutely disgusted with this place. It was filthy. All the animals living conditions were horrifying. You had a monkey with a tumor and sores all over his butt. The big cats were nothing but skin and bone. It was extremely sad. And I would never recommend to go here especially if you love animals it will just make you turn them in for animal abuse.
Shelby Raish — Google review
This place needs funding! Send people! The animals look in poor shape. But the staff was extremely friendly, however, seemed understaffed. Getting to pet the nursery animals was awesome. Their prices have risen significantly since I went there years ago when it was booming with people. When we went it seemed like we had the whole zoo to ourselves this time.

We've come here a couple times, and enjoyed it each time. Love the personal interaction with the animals. There was a monkey there that was hilarious when we went. He had a hose, and would hide, then jump out and spray people with it, then acted like he was laughing. 😆Our kids loved it.

Just as awesome as I remembered. A fun reasonably priced family friendly outing. All of the animals were out and interactive. We had loads of fun!
What a neat spot. It's a bit of a drive from the main road but worth the history. The people that volunteer inside give a great little tour and fun historical facts about the Hughes family. I felt such a presence at the top of the stairs. I bet there's a lot of that around. The property is breathtaking. There is a Porta potty toilet nearby if needed. Google it for hours of operation before taking the time to drive down to it. It is free with a donation tub.

If you love the creek of old floors and seeing history first hand this is the place to go. The view from the house is so beautiful and the house itself was fun to walk through. I don’t think there is enough to look at to consider driving a long distance to go see but if you are in the area I’d go. After all it’s free and the volunteers are so kind. After you see the house there is a trail down below that takes you to the ocean. It’s a bit of a walk but it’s beautiful the whole way.

We came in the off-season, so it wasn't open. It would have been nice to keep the curtains open so we could have seen inside even though it was closed. Hoping state parks invest in the deferred maintenance of this historic house.

This is one of over 30 historic properties in Oregon and was built by Patrick Hughes and his wife Jane who came to the states from Ireland. I visited on 4th of July and it was open and staffed by two volunteer women who gave me a free tour and shared much history about this family. It this is something you’re interested in, I would recommend going on a day they are open for tours (I think Monday thru Wednesday).

What appreciation I have gained for this family! This home is 3,000 square feet and cost $ 3,800.00 to build. One of the very few homes to have indoor plumbing, thanks to a near by spring. We were so fortunate the day we went, as they were doing little skits to reenact what a typical day might be like. Wonderful historical home to visit. They do appreciate donations to help keep the property up and running.

Interesting historic site of the Hughes House but I was hoping for a little more information and more of the original furniture, most everything is made modern day of that era, considering how well it's kept up. Very interesting reading how they made their money.

Love Cape Blanco. Great horse trails/horse camping, regular camping and all around nice day trip up to the lighthouse.

Beautiful drive to the cape, with fog rolling in and over you - eery to say the least. Quite a walk from the parking lot to the lighthouse due to left side of the road that caved in. Cool view of the Needle Rock jutting out of the fog.

One of the best coastal state parks.

2nd most Westerly point in the lower 48. Wanted to get out by the light house but the wind was blowing hard and steady. Jumped out for a few good pics though.

Beautiful park but very cold and windy while I was here I give it only a 4 because there is no sewer dump site for emptying Rv

Beautiful place. First I've been and it wasn't windy! Made it much nicer! Everything was still closed....

Super fun place for horse riding. The beaches are giant and the trails are fun.

Wonderful Camp ground, full facilities, you can hear the waves break on the shore below, hiking down to the crescent beach or to the lighthouse. Each camp site is also fairly private with hedges. Been there more than once.
Candice Whitaker — Google review
It’s a beautiful campground in the early to mid-summer and early fall. It will be wet and windy in the winter. Don’t miss this fall foliage on the ground. Great hiking trail along the coast. Lots of access to the beach areas as well. Hiking distance to an historic farm and to the iconic lighthouse.
No to RV‘ers: the dump station is closed and has been for several years due to a system failure. COVID-19 shut the funding back as well. Plan accordingly.

Cape Blanco Lighthouse
Historical landmark
Sights & Landmarks
Lighthouses
Landmark, whitewashed lighthouse offering history tours, sweeping ocean views & a gift shop.
My new favorite lighthouse. Absolutely beautiful and the best outlook of the surrounding cliffs and beaches.
Audrey Gardner — Google review
If doing a drive up the West Coat of the US, lighthouses should be on your list of places to stop. Each lighthouse is unique as well as shares a lot of history in the area. Cape Blanco lighthouse is one of the smaller lighthouses on the coast but still is amazing to visit. One of the trends of West Coast lighthouse is the white and red color scheme. Not sure if this was intentional but next time, we visit I am going to have to ask. The staff and tour when offered is great. The bluff overlook of the coast offers some great picture opportunities and if lucky can see some dolphins playing in the surf.
Adam Cook — Google review
One of the highlights of our West Coast Road trip. Plan a good hour here to enjoy the sights (and wind). Majestic views and a great hike up or down the hills. Great place for your pooch to roam as well. The lighthouse was closed when we got here in March but it was definitely still worth the drive and climb.
Action Z — Google review
Beautiful and windy here! Be ready to get blown at Cape Blanco! It really is VERY windy so hold on tight to your phones and hats! I only got one GOOD picture 😆

Short walk to the lighthouse due to part of the road being washed out. Gorgeous views of the coast. Highly recommend. No traffic noises, great view of beach, waves, and trees.
Stephanie R — Google review
Such a photogenic location! The lighthouse isn’t currently in service, and due to road closures you have to walk in from the parking lot, but the views are spectacular. Definitely worth a visit for any lighthouse enthusiasts or photographers.
Note: no bathroom on site, the nearest restroom is at the Cape Blanco campground.

What a beautiful area. was really bummed to get here and see that there were no tours I would have left to take the kids on a tour. We've never been inside a real lighthouse as a family before. Oh well just gives a reason to come back here again eventually. The weather was perfect today. The sun is shining the wind was still, couldn't have picked a better day to be up here on the bluff.
Tim Williamson — Google review
I recommend this place.
Even though it's not permitted to go up the lighthouse any more, going inside it's still aloud with the tour person. is so worth it to check it out. The ocean and the rock formations here are espectacular and the guided tour for one of the local volunteers was and added a lot more to it visit and the history of the place.
Place 5/5
Price 5/5 $2 per person
Drive 5/5
You need more than 30 minutes if you do the tour.
Karen VanHooser — Google review
The tour is only $2/adult. Kids under 16 are free!! The gentleman who led the tour was a great tour guide. At this time, tower was under construction so you aren't able to climb the tower. Estimate cost of repair is $650,000..so kindly leave a donation. And go visit that guy!

The lighthouse was closed when we stopped by - Tuesday. It was still worth a visit. The view is beautiful and the trail down to the beach was 10 minutes each way. Worth the trip! There are at least 2 other trails with lovely views - didn’t take them. There was a clean portapotty at the turnout for the historic house. May be one at the light house but not sure since it was closed.

Very cool place to visit. I had hoped to go inside but, nope. Not enough staff. Fun gift store and Levi, the steward, was very informative.
flat track — Google review
This lighthouse is absolutely beautiful, and worth the drive. The tours are just 2 dollars, and the docent is an absolute treasure who clearly adores the local history. It was very educational and picturesque. They can't let people up into the tower because of deteriorating masonry, and the road leading to the house is damaged so the last 1/4th mile has to be walked. The walk is very hilly, so it would be difficult for a mobility challenged person.
TI am very happy we made the decision to stop here!
Rebecca Freeman — Google review
Beautiful views from here. We wanted to get over to the lighthouse but the wind was blowing so hard, it was difficult to walk. Would love to go back and see it up close!
BK 526 — Google review
Foggy day but very cool! The path to the lighthouse is longer than Google Maps says as you can't drive that close to it, but still a cool experience. Didn't do the tour due to timing but it sounded like a fun experience! Plus I got my second lighthouse stamp!
Kayla Lambert — Google review
I stopped by here briefly and took in the view but did not walk out to the lighthouse. The paved path to the lighthouse is mostly uphill and about a half mile from the parking lot. The lighthouse may or may not be open so check the signs before deciding to walk. Beautiful coastline here.

Excellent visit! Good tour (although you can no longer go up to the light). It's a bit of a hike due to road damage. A must see.
Really beautiful views, and a nice place to walk at sunset. Right off Highway 101.

Absolutely my favorite place on the OR coast. Absolutely gorgeous, water isn't too cold, and the tides are much calmer here. Very cool hikes as well!

Nice overlook area. Visitor center wasn't open when we visited. Bathrooms. Foot wash station. Path to beach; sand with some wood section and a few steps. A creek run in so there is a shallow area good for little ones. Can climb up one of the big rocks if you desire.

This stop was on our way back from the Redwoods. It was a last-minute stop. It was well worth it. My daughter and I climbed to the top. What a view! There is a grave up there as well. What a great historic stop.

A gorgeous place to see. Great for playing on the beach, and taking a nice calm or wild drive! Water is fun and very safe, and hike up the rock is an amazing fun little activity to do whether by yourself, or with friends. One of my favorite places to go.

Nice little area. The walk down that we took was on rocks so it wasn't easy on the feet. There's a big hill at the end on that route that you can climb but it looked a bit steep. My boyfriend went up and said there's a grave up there.

If you are traveling south on the 101. This is where the incredible views of the rugged southern Oregon coast begin. Also this is the only public restrooms along the 101 until Ophir beach

Absolutely gorgeous! Went as low tide was happening, so we could go down to the holes in the rocks and caves. The people and dogs were all very friendly and interesting. I also managed to find a couple great rocks for my collection. Easy path to the beach if that's where you want to go.

Such a beautiful view of the ocean and sea stacks even if you don't get out of your car in the parking lot. There's a visitor center, bathrooms, foot wash station, benches, trails, and a really cool drinking fountain!

Great wayside Park with toilets, good parking and a historical marker. The views are excellent, but don't wear a hat because it's usually very windy. It's absolutely worth stopping.

This scenic historic Rock invites youth to climb it. You can enjoy the beautiful beach nearby for a long walk too. The parking lot museum and information center tells of a great occurrence between settlers and native Americans at the Rock.
Coastline park offering equipped sites to campers, including hikers, windsurfers & scuba divers.
This small state park has a nice beach that is only accessible from the park, so it’s not crowded. The campground has many sites long enough for medium length trailers, and maybe almost half have water and electricity.
We are camping in February, so the loop of sites closer to the beach is closed, but if you don’t want to walk that far, you can drive to that loop and park by the short trail to the beach. This morning we walked from site #9 in the loop farther from the beach to the beach and down to the North end where the beach is covered in rocks. The distance there and back was 2.5 miles. I’d guess it’s not even .5 mile to the beach.
At the end of the trail where you arrive at the beach the trail drops about 14” so you have two steep steps to take on eroded sandstone and loose sand. A bit tricky for those of us who don’t have sure footing. But it’s only that one place.
Verizon cell service is decent. We are having no trouble sending pics in texts and posting to Facebook in the campground and on the beach.
Nancy Samuels — Google review
It's a really nice park. Lots of great trails, close to the beach, well shaded most of the time, well maintained, the bathrooms always looked nice, the rangers and other staff were all friendly. Would happily stay there again! I guess some people didn't realize it's close to the road. The park is directly off of hwy101. There will be traffic noise, there will be loud diesel trucks, there will be wind. Please do not be surprised or disappointed by this thinking it wouldn't be there for some reason. They do have a bit of a stellar jay problem but they have a lot of other cute wildlife we did enjoy. I would recommend this park to any outdoorsy type people. Those with children, their junior ranger program is lacking to nonexistent compared to other state parks we have visited but talking to the rangers there, they do plan on expanding and revamping the program services they provide there so it may be better when you go. It was still a very nice park and would happily stay there again!

Definitely one of our amazing discoveries found along our route! The trail at the lower loop of the campground will give you access to a private beach where a fresh water stream meets the ocean.
You’ll find plenty of driftwood and unique rocks. We stopped after a rainstorm in early November and the temp couldn’t have been more perfect. 60 degrees and no wind.
What beauty! Definitely a stop worth making!!
Maximus Gladiator — Google review
Air is crisp and fresh. Situated near the highway so sounds of vehicles passing by can be heard at most times. The RV sites are well spaced with plenty of privacy. AT&T phone signal has 2 to 3 bars. It depends on which site you are. Fantastic place to stay. Will come back again.
Plumeria Bodhisattva — Google review
The trail was steeper and harder to do at my age. It is hard to do if you are not in shape.
There are a few trees on the trail that have fallen over you have to traverse.
There is no view unless you get passed 3/4 of a mile.
My Sister called me during the hike. I sat on the bench and talked to her. Surprised I still had Internet.
After talking with her my body was tightening up and my stomach hurt..so I headed back down.
I had my 12 year old Black Lab with me to think of. His hips hurt him from the steep hike. There were fresh water streams going over the trail. So Dakota was able to keep hydrated.
I wish I would have done the hike when I was younger. I have seen pictures of the incredible views from the crest. But 3 miles straight up was too hard for me and my dog

Definitely one of our favorite State Park Campgrounds! Host Volunteers and Rangers take good care of this park. Fresh berry picking all over, firewood for sale daily at just $5 a bundle and great trails nearby! There's a short trail with direct access to a small/private beach off of the lower loop of the campground. The brush creek runs into the ocean so you have your choice of both fresh and salt water to enjoy. The only downside that we saw was that this beach and campground (especially the lower loop) can get really windy! The lower loop is definitely more busy and populated than the upper loop. Rangers patrol the campground well, so campers seemed to be more respectful than other parks we've been to. Definitely a stop worth making!!
Jasmine Solorio-Aviña — Google review
Best kept campground in Oregon. The volunteers were totally on top of the place. Clean restroom and shower. Even raked each campsite when people checked out. Great walk to beach. Gorgeous place. Heavy mist and fog gave it eerie feel one day.

I wanted to camp last minute over the Fourth of July weekend and Humbug had a site. I drove down from Portland and spent two nights there. The camp was clean and well maintained. I stayed in a tent site without electric. It was inexpensive. It was a bit close to neighbors without too much brush in between but everyone was respectful. The bathrooms and showers were clean and well maintained. The showers were hot, which was good! The volunteers were friendly and helpful. I took a couple small trails (Amphitheater) and Fern and they were worthwhile. Fern had a few rough spots but the views were great! I didn’t want to climb Humbug Mountain so I’m glad I had other opportunities. The walk to the beach was not too far and the beach itself was very cozy, since really only visitors to the campground were there. I saw seals in the late afternoon and evening. During the day it was super relaxing just to hang out there. Very soft sand (which made walking a bit effortful) but made lounging very comfortable. Oregon has many nice state parks and this is certainly one of them!

We love Humbug. Every year we stay here for 3-4 nights on our RV trip in June/August. So many memories have been made at this small coastal park.
The campground has RV sites with water/electricity and a very clean dump site. RV sites along the mountainside are great and even have trail access. The restrooms are clean, maintained and with large, family restroom/showers. Hot water too.
Our family loves the beach access from the campground. It's literally a 5-minute walk to a gorgeous beach and you can even do a bit of river/creek walking along the way. You might see some whales along the coastline here!
The Junior-Ranger program is so much fun for kids. Ranger-led hikes are also available. We loved the Fern Trail hike and discovering the vegetation along the way. Humbug trail is a fairly strenuous hike but it's on our list for the kids to do!!
The campground is bike-friendly and there is a large meadow to play in. We keep coming back to Humbug and you should give it try, highly recommended!

The campground hosts take beautiful care of this place and were so kind and attentive to us even though we pulled in while it was getting dark. We were stopping just for one night while traveling between visits to family and this was a wonderful stop over. Loved the short walk to the beach and the clean restrooms.

Awesome campground. Jay and Sanora were very welcoming and helpful. Very clean throughout. Great experience.
Jeff Lee — Google review
Easy access to a cute little beach, though much of it was inaccessible during high tide without wading a very deep creek (above the knees). I love hiking the challenging trail up Humbug Mountain. This trip I discovered the section of old coast highway above the campground that also made for a nice hike.
I was able to walk on to a campsite without a reservation on a sunny Saturday in May.
Peggy Grimes — Google review
We stayed just one night here on a road trip but were very impressed. The campsites and bathrooms were very clean and the Park Rangers Alec and Heather were wonderful. Right after we left they even called us to let us know an expensive item had been left behind, thankfully it wasn’t ours but we were impressed with how thoughtful and thorough their care of the State Park is!
The lower loop is fairly close to the road and you do hear the cars driving by, but it wasn’t to loud at night and it was worth it to be closer to the beach access.
Gwyneth Strople — Google review
Nice little camp site with a short walk to beach access. The sites that are for Rv are pretty open so more of a community area in the middle. The camp ground was very dog friendly with lots of people their pets. The road was in good shape and the park was kept very clean.
Prehistoric Gardens is a small but well-maintained tourist attraction featuring lifelike dinosaur models set in an ancient temperate rainforest. The attraction offers visitors the opportunity to explore a carefully painted path that winds past bubbling creeks and lush ferns, all while surrounded by hanging moss and the sound of falling rain. This is an ideal destination for families with young children who will delight in seeing the dinosaurs up close while getting some exercise in the great outdoors.
This is the second time we've been here and our son absolutely loves it. It's a nice little place to take your kids and let them run around along the path and see the dinosaurs. If you're passing through, it's a nice place to stop off and let your kids get some energy out.
Brian An — Google review
So as we were coming down the MTN on our bikes we decided to stop in and check this place out. It is a cute little walk through the forest with a bunch of different dinosaurs and with signs to talk about them and give you a little educational knowledge. We think it is a great place to stop if you have kids with you.
Team Ultimate Exposure William & Bug — Google review
Absolutely love this place. The trees around you and your imagination could bring you in the past. The sculptures are adorable and weird at the same time, but both effects are cool to experience. Could be great if there would be some sound effects.
Anna Solodova — Google review
Waaayy too expensive, but at the same time, worth a stop? The walk is short and flat, so anyone can manage it. The website says the artist consulted with scientists to ensure the dinosaurs are realistic, which is half the fun when you see their derpy little faces. Informative boards are sporadically placed along the trail, so it is semi educational. Gift shop is spendy, but we still ended up happily paying $170 for 4 tshirts and 2 stickers. This will be a highlight of our trip.
Guy Davis — Google review
It was a bit over 30$ total for our family (2 adults and one child aged 9) to purchase admission to the prehistoric garden. Its a neat thing to see if you spot it whilst on a trip and just pull over on a whim but to be honest the "prehistoric" garden is no different than seeing native Oregon forest. This is not a good idea if you need ambulatory assistance as the entire route is rock/gravel and at times narrow.Your are told rules once you pay one of which is you can't touch anything! They included leaning and grabbing onto.It isn't something you should plan as a trip to go see save your money and find a forest. The dinosaurs are kind of cool for the kids but it's not helpful they the kids can't touch them which really bums kids out.
Regardless of weather I'd recommend heading to seaside Oregon even better if you can stay a few days to relax and check out everything.
Zaine Walker — Google review
Fun for all ages! We arrived just 20 mins before closing time but the owner was so kind and told us not to worry about it. This park is an outdoor walking tour type with a trail. There are huge dinosaurs throughout hidden and not so hidden with fun facts about each. What we loved most was how authentic it would have felt to be in the woods so many millions of years ago, the plants and trees felt millions of years old. Kids ages 2-8 all had tons of fun and they didn’t get tired at all walking. If it’s raining, the park does offer umbrellas and strollers for guest use at the entry. Nice gift shop at the end. Definitely recommend!
Alex Phan — Google review
We have wanted to take the kids here for years, and finally got the opportunity. It is a bit of a drive, but it was worth it. We were expecting a cheesy tourist trap, but it turned out to have lots of good educational signs giving information about ancient flora and fauna. There are enough displays to keep the family busy for a good hour, and a lovely little gift shop. Worth trying at least once!
Rebecca Freeman — Google review
Awesome, it’s a trail walk you can take as much time as you’d like and there’s a lot of little benches and photo spots throughout.
Mars Yescas — Google review
Visited on a rainy weekday in early March and had the whole place to ourselves. This attraction is small but well kept, and in the rain and solitude, magical. The rain fell through dense forest onto carefully painted dinosaurs and a well maintained path that meandered past ferns and over bubbling creeks. We made imitation dinosaur noises and heard the echos through the trees. My son loved this place so much.

This was a spur of the moment stop on our way back from California. While it was a bit pricey, it was a super fun and educational trip through the age of dinosaurs.
Conveniently located off of highway 101, there is ample parking as well as fun statues and animal attractions in the front of the building.
Inside, the heavily wooded pathways take you around some very old and giant trees and scenic creek beds with fun bridges to cross over while exploring the dinosaur exhibits.
There is a lot of great information along with the really well done statues of dinosaurs along the way. I have included some photos to show. It doesn't take a super long time to finish, but it is worth a trip to experience.

I wish I had visited as a kid. This place is delightful and I had no idea. Please stop as you're driving 101. There is admission, $14 for adults and I think $10 for kids. It's worth the stop just to be in the forest with these magnificent statues!

Nice roadside stop ...you should go at least once every generation. I didn't go in but my adult son did. I walked around outside and enjoyed the babbling brook and beautiful plants and mushrooms

What a fun place tucked away south of Port Orford. Some may think it is kind of cheesy, kids will absolutely love it. Very well maintained so it isn't a trashy roadside attraction. Cost for Adults was $14 each which was not crazy, but it was worth the hour we walked the beautiful trail and had some fun with the Dino's. If you have kids this is a great stop, adults will have a great laugh too. It is worth a stop if you have never stopped before just to admire the great forest area and creative Dino's they have put together.
State park with extensive hiking & walking trails & a range of unusual sandstone rock formations.
Otter point state recreation is such a moderate hike with a few high inclination. It’s easy on the feet while challenging you. Romantic, just catch the perfect lighting. Always bring a cozy blanket, weather can suddenly change. Don’t forget your camera, or do.
Gem Ini — Google review
Very very beautiful beach! You can walk the trail to otter point and the view is stunning. But be fair warned you can not get to the beach from that trail. We went left at the trail head to the costal trail and walked for about 30 minutes with no ways to access the beach ether so we turned around. Right before leaving we noticed a trail to the right of the parking lot (across from the actual trailhead). We walked the short trail up and down and across a stream to find a rope trail down a cliff side. While it wasn’t extremely hard or dangerous please note you will get muddy!!! If not on the way down, on the way back!!
No restrooms, no picnic tables, no other amenities. Just nature and a trail.

This was in the first week of September. Amazing weather and views of the ocean and rock formations. There's no safety rail or whatever, so I wouldn't recommend going too close to the edge. You can see that there's a lot of erosion happening and cave-ins. No beach access, or we didn't really notice it. A short walk to access the cliff.

One of my favorite spots to go on the coast. I first attended a friend's wedding there and I've never seen a more beautiful, humbling, sacred place. A place that deserves to be admired by those with respect for nature's beauty, otherwise left as it is, a naturally amazing place.

Building is a bit worn and the restrooms are closed (porta potties available) but inside is nice. Hosts are helpful and there is a lot of travel information available for here and other coastal areas. A swing set and picnic tables are available. Easy parking although the entrance could be tricky with a large rig, steep downhill entrance. Fairly easy walk to the beach. Some deep sand if that gives you trouble. Wide beautiful super clean beach right here in town!

Very nice visitor center on the Southern end of town. Not as well marked as it could be, but worth searching for the sign. The center is down near the beach with a nice trail leading to a beautiful beach. Very helpful people to give you ideas for where to go. The trail is paved down to a beautiful view of the ocean, so wheelchairs and strollers can go that far, but is sand the rest of the way.

We didn't go into the visitor's center. We hoped for decent restrooms but there were only dirty porta-potties. Nice picnic area. Children's play area was dingy; not very welcoming. A fresh coat of paint would be helpful. Beach was nearly deserted. The beach was littered with lovely, rounded stones, and the incoming waves were spectacular. The sand was soft for sitting and taking in the view. Handicapped parking was available with an asphalt trail to picnic tables but not to the beach.

Very friendly staff! Only port a potties but they were clean. Great parking & beach access. I went for the map & explanation for finding the glass floats April 2023... 1 month-1 mile-1000 floats. Perfect is all I can say! Found the 2 floats my husband and I could take home but enjoyed hunting & leaving behind the others. Found eight in total. What a blast. Then enjoyed Gold Beach - good town, good dinner - fun sealions!

Clean, always fun to come here. Good information about the town. I do wish the bathrooms were open tho. I understand why they are locked, but having 3 little girls I was hoping they could use the bathroom.
This forested coastal park with a trail & beaches offers picnicking, fishing & hiking.
Absolutely worth the 6 hour drive! As an elopement photographer, this location is perfect for anyone wanting a unique location to elope! There is a bit of hiking involved, but on a sunny day, it's not hard to hike down too.

Amazing!! There are gorgeous stops every 1/2 mile down 101. Definitely an amazing place to explore. A lot of beautiful hikes and beaches!

This section of the Oregon coast is worth the time to explore. Each pullout offers new, fantastic views of rugged coastlines, rock arches, land bridges, and coastal forests. There is a multitude of trails to explore as well. One of the best stretches of 101.

Made multiple stops throughout the park and thoroughly enjoyed each one of them. Some have moderate hikes so be mindful of what you’re getting yourself into. What goes down must come back up. We can’t wait to come back and see more!

Would not recommend. We went to the natural bridge and definitely not worth the 6 hour drive. Can’t get anywhere near the actual area just on a look out landing super high up. Even hiking down it’s extremely muddy and dangerous right at a cliffs edge with nothing but ocean hundreds of feet down to your death. We took about 3 different trails and none lead us closer just a maze through overgrown prickly bushes and mud that felt like quick sand. Also it you type in “Samuel H boardman in your GPS it does NOT take you directly to the natural bridge you have to keep driving for quite some time before you find it and still that wasn’t easy. Would not have drove this far if I had seen a review like this I would have know what to expect.

Great scenic corridor along the South Oregon coast. There is some parking and trails leading off but generally they are not marked. Going down to the shore is possible but risky. Lovely views and bridge.

Twelve miles of pristine Oregon coastal beauty. There is a coast trail weaving through the entire length of the place. Try to stay in Brookings to experience this place for a couple of days.

One of the most beautiful places I have ever been! You can drive along the coast and stop at each point along the way. The views are AMAZING.

Definitely recommend stopping at all the queued spots

Shows up as Secret Beach also on maps. It's parking on the side of the road, so no real indication it's a park. Moderate hike down past a cute waterfall to a little more treacherous descent to a beautiful beach that has a great swim area. Poison oak everywhere so be aware.

Great hike and amazing views of stunning Oregon coast, cliffs, birds, archs, sand, woods and wild flowers. Do it in clockwise direction for best experience.

My daughter hiked the Oregon Coast Trail from Coos Bay to Brookings. I met her most days and hiked 4-7 miles each day with her. I hiked most of the trail with her through the Samuel H Boardman Corridor. The OCT trail does not appear to be heavily traveled, was not well-marked, and not well-maintained, but is beautiful!
Park known for its myrtlewood trees, with fishing, swimming & rafting on the Chetco river.
We parked here to go on the hike that leaves out of the picnic tables next to the road that goes down to the river. The trail is fairly well-maintained but did get a bit muddy in some spots and there's one bridge that has a tree fallen on it. It's only on one end of the bridge though and you are able to step over it fairly easily, the dog ended up going underneath it. There are trash cans only at the beginning so keep that in mind, the end of the trail caved in so you have to go back a little bit to cross onto the Redwood Trail Naturehead.

Amazing in so many ways! This campground has large private rv and tent sites. It is right on the river! I love that it is always very clean, quiet at night, and everyone is very friendly. This is my all time favorite campground!

The campground was awesome & the river access made our spot even cooler. Clean bathrooms, nice free showers, accessible fire pit, fire wood $5.00 and 19 minutes to town to grab items you may have forgot to bring. The river was perfect for paddle boarding and it felt like a bathtub. The trailhead hike was beautiful! The temperature drops on the coast, so extra blankets & warm clothes are a must. 😀

We enjoyed spending time at this beautiful park. With easy access to the Chetco River. Nice picnic area and a moderately easy walking trail. We enjoyed walking through the Myrtle trees and a few Redwoods also. Beautiful old trees. The nature trail isn't handicap/wheelchair friendly but is fairly easy walking.

We really enjoy staying in the cabins at this state park. The river is a beautiful sight from the porch. I feel safe visiting with just my little boy and me. Restrooms are clean, park is well-lit, the host seems to be actively checking on everything. We haven't had a bad experience yet 🙂

This is the nicest campground I’ve ever stayed. It’s so clean and seems like a little community. The bathrooms and showers are immaculate. Even the hand soap in the bathroom smells better than my own at home. There’s much to do at Loeb. Bird watching, a trail that takes you to a Redwood Grove, watching salamanders dive, and swimming and paddling the warm, clear waters of the Chetco, which is amazing. My only complaint is my campsite, which is on me for making a bad pick. I stayed in 33 and while it has a pretty view of the water, the path to the river is right next to it (not shown on the reservation map or I wouldn’t have picked it). So I had people talking and walking down to the river at all hours of the day and night. The bathrooms also have two really bright lights that shone right into the campsite all night and kept waking me up. This site seems best for a large group that wants to be close these things, or an RV where it doesn’t matter. It didn’t ruin my experience though. I’ll be back next summer.

Enjoyed the nature walk. Please provide the handouts that explain the alphabetical markers along the trail. Found a brochure at the redwood walk and realized it included Loeb Park. It would have helped immensely to have the info when I completed the walk

Wow, what a treat! The park is so awesome right on the river. Very clean! Space 25 was really nice, big easy to get the 28' Rv in could probably get a 40' in this site and #26. We were up agiant the road and it was still very quite.About 50ish spaces. Maybe 10 of those back up to the river. Some of the spots are really large lots of space for tents and equipment. Only downfall is our site had the smallest fire ring only about 6" tall and small. Oh, and no cell service down the hill better up on the road.

Great trail that runs along the river and ends near the Redwood nature trail. The first has beautiful views of the river. The Redwood one is stunning with quite a few old growth trees.

This is a great campground. I'd prefer a little more space between the sites and it felt like almost all the sites were filled with trailers or rvs, but the great thing was that all sites have electric hookups so I didn't hear a single generator. The camp hosts were very friendly and the price on wood was great. It was a bit too windy to swim when we were there but the beautiful teal blue pools in the river make me want to come back a little later in the summer. I was also pleasantly surprised by the potable water faucets in every site, I can't remember that last time I saw that in a campground.

River is clear and clean, park is kept nice all the time. Mike the host was great, we have been here previously and the host then was awesome too! They sell bundles of firewood. You can ride scooters, bikes, etc around but they are pretty strict with kids under 16 yo wearing helmets and going with the flow of traffic. The day use area is nice and has a volleyball net. Some spaces are pretty small, I don't recommend over 36-38 ft trailer/RV unless experienced! FYI it's 8 miles from Azaela Park, buts it's SO windy so if you get car sick be aware! Mosquitos haven't been too bad when we've been there. Overall, everything we've been, we've had a great time!

Nice showers. We stayed in site 50 and it had minimal standing water compared to any other site open when we got there. Stayed 3rd week of March 2024.
The river is absolutely beautiful. If your a rockhound this is a must go to.
Serene beach featuring rock formations, scenic views & tide pools with sea creatures.
Lovely spot. I mean, the entire coast is astounding. This is another stop you should add to the list. Last stop, when heading south on Samual Bordman Scenic Corridor.

One of my favorites spots along the Southern Oregon coast 🌊 so much to see, hike and explore from Brookings to Gold beach and Lone Ranch Beach is one of them. The Sunsets here can be incredible and the views are amazing. I've captured some of my best sunset photos here. But be careful when the surf is crazy, got hit by a sneaker wave here back in December, luckily it was just a warning and I didn't get swept out to sea 😁

A low key place to stroll on a beach, short walk from a wheel chair accessible parking lot.
Beach dotted with striking rock formations, bird-watching sites, trails & a campground with yurts.
This is my favorite OR coast campground. I love all the basalt rocks on the shore here. There are 4 beaches, separated by rocky outcroppings. At low tide you can walk around the rocks separating the northernmost beach and it’s neighbor.
The beaches are all different; my favorite is the small Rocky Beach which is the 3rd one counting from north to south. This beach has some sand and a lot of short basalt rocks with sea stars and sea anemones and several enormous basalt rocks just beyond the shore in the water.m
On Beach 2 you can walk around a huge rock at low tide if you don’t mind wading just a bit. On the back side you are between two enormous rocks. There are many sea stars, limpets, barnacles, and sea anemones clinging to the base of those rocks.
Beach 1 is very small unless you wade across the creek which isn’t more than several inches deep, but of course the water is cold.
From the campground there is a trail through the woods to the access for beaches 1 and 2. They also have parking there. Another trail from the campground takes you to beach 3, the Rocky one. And down the entrance road a bit is a trail to beach 4, the southern most one. That beach is very wide and extends well beyond the park. Beaches 1-3 are only accessible from the park. We visit in February, usually, and none of the beaches are crowded, but there are always more than one family there.

Nice well maintained park. The staff were pleasant, the guests were pleasant, the maps they provide were helpful to show us all the trails that are around there. The beach is beautiful with nice big waves. Everyone seems to know it's a good one. There are rarely spots available at this park. We did a random impromptu visit because we happened to notice they had a spot available! I would definitely recommend a visit. It is good to note that it is also a day use park not just a campground. So if they don't have sites available you can still use the day use area.

Best Campground location in Brookings! Ocean View from Yurt we stayed at. Large picnic table and fire pit at each Yurt site. Clean restrooms and showers. Playground for kids with lots of fun equipment to play on. Excellent hiking trails for view above the beach or down path straight to parking lot at Harris Beach. Firewood available for sale at camp host. Very pet friendly!

frequently visited spot for sunsets. Plenty available free parking. Just wish there was another restroom facility closer to where we had parked. Also the trail was a bit steep down to the water. Pretty beach. Dog friendly- we weren’t the only one with our puppy. We came to see the tide pools but had no luck at this time.

We make an annual trek here every winter to camp, as we enjoy the beach any time of year and it is less busy then. The showers are hot and the campground is well kept. We have a small RV and love the ocean view sites very much.

What an awesome place to camp! We stayed for 4 nights and it was wonderful. Campsites clean, well maintained. Bathrooms always clean, showers worked great. Convenient places to dump trash. The path to the bathroom is well lit for nighttime trips. The weather here was mild in July because you are right by the beach. The beach access is great, easy parking. A+++ would recommend!

This is one of the best beaches in Oregon, my grandfather would bring us here every year to teach us about the sea life in the tide pools. It's always clean, never crowded and full of incredible creatures to observe. You won't regret visiting 💗

Beautiful campground, 🚲 allowed. Caution with large trailures backing in to your spot can be tricky. Single Showers, bathrooms for 3 threwout. Full hookup or limited depending on cost, tent sites or trailures in same loops. Good for the price. Wildlife does visit so put trash away don't leave food out. We had a small skunk one night, thankfully our dog slept threw(dogs allowed on leash) or we may have been sprayed. Beautiful greenery and flowers, saw stellar Jay's , Robin's, crows, hummingbirds in July-August.
Short walk downhill to the beach, path needs fixed wear good 👞. Beautiful beach, often shells, stones, drift wood, crabs, sea grass, sometimes starfish visible on rocks to the left. No fires on beach allowed.

Harris Beach has been my favorite beach along the Oregon coast. I have been going there every year since I was 13. I took some of my husband's ashes and left them there. That was our favorite place to go also. We were married for 40 years and went over at least once every year. He asked that I leave part of him there, so I did. It is so beautiful and peaceful there.

I normally tent camp. But I was down for several days for work and needed something a bit more and didn’t want to pay for a hotel. In comes the only available Yurt at Harris Beach State Park.
Nice campground. I have been before. Always as a tenter. But got my hybrid tent/hotel experience this time with a Yurt. New floors. Well maintained. Friendly staff.
Campground and bathrooms and showers were very clean. Really close to Brookings. Great beach access. There is a playground nearby for kids and plenty of hiking near by as well.
Only complaint is the firewood they sell sucks. It is super wet. So. Bring at least one bundle of dry wood if you buy from here. Mix the dry with on site wood to get fire going.

Excellent state park facility with friendly staff, quiet campers, amazing views, and good privacy. The shrubs between sites make the closeness of the camps feel quite secluded. The beach walking is a 10/10! We really enjoyed sun setting over the scenic coast. The water pressure in the showers is incredible too.

Don't hesitate to stop by this place and spend time. Why? Just go and don't worry ,,, I couldn't stay for a long time because there is no RV parking lot, but there are really cool sights in the morning and it will be ecstatic to walk along the beautiful trail. strongly recommend this place

Love this beach! Easy to find, right off the highway, plenty of parking. A little steep incline to get down to the beach but otherwise a very nice beach with beautiful views! The bathroom area even had a little foot washing station to wash the sand off your feet which I thought was really cool.

Blast from the past! We totally loved this old school park and playground. Definitely rough around the edges, some broken parts, minimal graffiti which was surprising but awesome. Bathroom was atrocious, no tp, broken stall doors. Park grounds were beautiful, tons of flowers, even saw deer as we ate a picnic. Saw maintenance crew about, seemed active and emptying garbage etc. The awesome retro playground is enough to bring us back, let alone the gorgeous nature areas. Please consider fixing the broken parts on playground! 🙏(Missing tires, too low bark chips, ripped weed barrier, broken music pipes, broken wooden beams.) Otherwise, Wonderful visit and will be back.

Stopped here on the way to another stop. What a beautiful place, of course, it is Winter, not much in bloom. But the Chapel!? Would be an awesome wedding venue. Tried to use the restroom, it was locked. Need to return during Spring. We saw lots of dogs and owners getting in their steps.

Wonderful Christmas festival/ light show over the holidays at Azalea park! Really impressive! Lights were Everywhere, covering so many trees and bushes along the walking paths and very BEAUTIFUL!!! Several winter and family friendly themes, sectioned out by many, many Brookings sponsered businesses. *A beautiful Nativity scene, A Very Large Christmas tree with holographic light show and holiday music...lit up Angels, ice skaters, butterflies, Reindeer, etc.etc. Free hot cocoa and cookies too! Great Joy, and dog friendly to boot! Loved it!

We visited the park for the holiday lights festival. 3 millions lights for the entire setup I believe. It was great to see but a bit too crowded for my liking. It is dog friendly so I loved that! Just a tip that the entrance fee is $6 cash and $2 for the glasses. Parking on site is free and plenty of street parking too.

Sometimes, when creative people post things online in a creative attractive way, it gets people like me to take a visit and see what the poster is posting, in real life. And the light show at Azalea park in Brookings, OR was one of those posts, there haven't been that many, but the digital creator for this place (online), did a pretty good job! 🌟
So off I went on another solo road trip into Brookings, OR! The best way to travel these days, solo! And it was wonderful, freeing, alive, fun, and just a little scary going around the slightly wet and slippery mountain on the winding roads. Yet it was still good! I arrived a little early to try to visit the town, not get lost and have something warm and filling to eat < the eating part didn't go so well. :(
Night fell pretty quick and off to the light show I went. $3 entry fee and free parking, the parking lot is a little small, but lucky me it wasn't very crowded :) and it wasn't very cold either! It was so grand. Lights everywhere, colorful glorious lights, twinkling, shimmering, glowing, festive happy music playing in the background, easy smooth walkways and pathways to walk along and of course. well lit! Moving and still displays, themed and generic ones, places to sit and rest, as well as the "Kodak Moment" spots.
Benches tucked away amongst the trees to sit and take in the festive feeling and mood of the night's event. An awe-inspiring feel. Just a good overall feeling of peace, joy and freedom! A good warm feeling. Thanx to the creative poster on Instagram, for making the adventure interesting!

Beautiful city park with lots of open space to enjoy. Awesome kidtown! Very well maintained fields. Would give 5 stars but the restrooms are deplorable. Can't even lock the one stall in the women's restroom by the playground. Which is the only restroom available year round during all hours.

Nice little park with room for kids to play and parents to walk out sit and relax. Could have used more seating in the shade, but we were there on a warm day.
The park has lots of amenities like basketball courts, ball fields, the Kid Town play structures a gazebo and off course, the Capella structure that is pretty amazing. Just wish we could have gone inside but from the vandalism in other parts of the park, I can see what they have to keep it locked up!
They also have restrooms and lots of grassy areas.
