Always a blast. If you are looking for a nature walk fit for all ages, this place has it all. Choice of two picnic areas and playgrounds. My family and I find something new on our walks every year. Always a cool adventure.

Rock glen is one of the gem, short trail which can be explored in 1-2 hours and get crowded quickly. Family friendly as their is picnic area to unwind away from city and waterfall has easy access with stairs but with caution as they get slippery with rain.
Entry fee is $4/person. Easy parking on weekdays and was provided with the map at the entrance.
Staff working there was welcoming and helpful made our day.

Beautiful hiking areas one can view the Falls from several vantage points, the bottom of the falls is accessible for most part of the year until Autumn and then it is closed until beginning of spring. There’s a small entry fee $4.25 per person, the bed rock is beautiful but careful when navigating some very slippery spots. Don’t litter and respect the rules.

It is a beautiful place, only a few people in park on an early spring day. Walking along the river is such an excitement especially when you discover the fossils of 350 million years ago. $4 per person. Limited parking.
House of Michelle — Google review
Such a beautiful little waterfall in the middle of no where. (Pretty much) you can swim here in hot days just be careful because the rocks are slippery. The river is also nice and you can find some pretty cool fossils in the rocks if you look hard enough. Great place to have a picnic and enjoy a nice warm day. The do have bathrooms and picnic tables.

Beautiful waterfall and nice trails to hike. I took my 12 year old sister and she loved looking at all the cool rocks and fossils they had. The staff are really nice as well

A beautiful place with plenty of trees and foliage to take a nice walk on a sunny spring day ! Sadly the entry to the bottom of falls was prohibited due to icy conditions but even from the top platform the views were more then spectacular! Good place to go for a quick hike on a weekend afternoon!

this is a wonderful place. the waterfalls are beautiful. great stay with beautiful views. trails are available for all types of training.

Such a wonderful place to visit. We come here 2-3 times a year at least. My kids LOVE playing here, swimming in the waterfall, finding fossils, etc. Lots of stairs so prepare to climb. Picnic areas with charcoal bbqs available. Lots of parking. Bathrooms are clean. The museum is full of history of the area. The people working the gate are always very kind. Nice little play area for the kids with swings and slide. Very busy in the summer! Much more enjoyable other times of the year

Even though it is a small waterfalls we enjoyed the cold showers & dip.
Kids were collecting a few stones with different patterns & were playing in the mud. We visited the museum. Kids enjoyed. You have to pay around ~$4.5 per head for entrance with or without a vehicle.
We visited Rock Glen conservation while we were staying at the Ipperwash Beach area.
The entire location is great with multiple places to visit with famil, esp. Rock Glen waterfalls is a must if you're exploring nearby places.

I visited this place during the end of the fall season . I was so peaceful place with colorful leaves covering some part of that. I took amazing pictures and made outstanding videos in my phone. I recommend everyone to go there and visit not only that waterfall, but also other nearby places like a river.

Beautiful and quiet on family day. Even in the winter the waterfall was still going strong, but it has been a warmer winter. Some parts of the trail were quite muddy and slippery, but overall not too challenging

An extremely friendly staff member greets you at the main gate when you arrive. The cost is very fair for what you get to explore. Several viewing areas of the falls. The creek running through the property is beautiful. Went here in the summer but the conservation area would look amazing in any season. The 150 stairs are an adventure them selves. Well worth checking out rock glen if you are nearby.

Neat, tucked away falls and rapids not far from the parking lot. Traveled here in winter time so the stairs to the base of the falls was locked off, but it was still very much worth a visit! Very good coverage with trails and stairs. Meets with the Au Sable where you can find evidence of old mills. Cool spot!
Devon Vigil — Google review
Nice place to visit and spend some time with mother nature. The waterfall itself is beautiful, you can venture down or up the stream in watershoes or hopping over rocks. For the hike, many stairs to climb...overall the place is a nice addition to your day outdoors, would combine with another attraction.
Michal Babis — Google review
An excellent hiking trail with a natural river and waterfall. If you like to walk with nature you definitely love that. The entrance fee is $4.46. Now working only on weekends 10:30 to 5 pm. July and August open that for daily.
Pinery Provincial Park, situated on the pristine shores of Lake Huron and located just outside Grand Bend in Ontario, is a vast coastal park area spanning 21 square kilometers. The park offers a plethora of outdoor activities year-round, including hiking and biking trails, groomed ski trails, camping options ranging from car camping to group camping in cabins or yurts.
The beach view is great! I won't recommend it for hiking tho. It's very flat. But a great place for camping! We went in mid-April and it was still cold. It snowed one night. You want to get prepared with a thick sleeping bag for -15/-20 degree temperature to keep warm.

Beautiful beach!
One of the best beaches in Ontario.
Breathtaking colors, clean shallow beach, safe to swim for kids as well.
There are pebbles along the shoreline, few steps into into the water, sensitive feet may require water shoes.
Cool camping sites.
Washrooms and changing rooms may need some improvement.
Weekends are quite busy with 10-20 minutes waiting time at the entry gate.
Overall beautiful, good experience!

I love this park! Lots of nice trails and the beach is beautiful. There is a dog beach as well. The staff is super helpful and friendly. Lots of activities to do as well. You can rent canoes and kayaks as well as bikes to go trail riding.
You have to pay for day use or book your campsite online. I advise doing this early so you can be sure to get a good spot.
Lots of bathrooms and they even have showers at some of them too. Be sure to get a park map so you can find where all the amenities are throughout the park.
Amazing views, a beautiful place to spend the day.

Went there for camping for 2 nights this summer. Some campgrounds are so small. And the washrooms near by the camping area doesn't flush very well and smells around the faucet. The electrical washrooms, however are good.
The beach is so good to have fun. Loved the waves. Definitely will visit it again

Piney Park was a beautiful place to visit. The beach was lovely, the water was clean and crisp. The park is well-maintained, considering how big it is. This isn’t a complaint for the staff or even the facilities. The only reason I gave it four instead of five stars is because the park is huge. It’s just not the vibe that our family likes, and we weren’t expecting it. There is a lot to do within the park, with a store and a separate rental space. But you have to drive everywhere, or accept that bike rides will be longer than at most provincial parks. That means with two kids under four, you are having to use the bike trailer to go everywhere instead of having them bike themselves. Same goes for putting the kayak’s in, since you can walk if from your site. Cars also really drive way too fast in the park, and the speed limit didn’t seem to be enforced. The nearby Grand Bend was really a great place to visit off-site, and if we went back we’d spend a full day there. As my kids get older, I’m absolutely sure that this four star will turn into a five star. But I just want parents to know what to expect! It’s kind of like visiting Algonquin, but without the highway.
Madison Low — Google review
Beautiful park. Great for first time campers and family’s with small children! They have kayak, canoe, and bike rentals, a well-stocked park store with groceries, a small restaurant for something quick to eat, and a cute ice-cream shop. They also have activities and programs for kids (check their calendar) and amazing trails.
The beach is amazing but there are a lot of rocks on the shore so water shoes are very helpful. The dunes beach (accessed only if you’re camping there) is beautiful but the parking gets full QUICK and is a great spot for the sunset. The day/use beaches P1-9 are great but the further you go, the harder the trek is to the beach from the parking. The easiest accessible lot (non-dog beach) is P3&P4.
The bathrooms and showers are cleaned between 2pm and 3pm everyday, and the park staff are very friendly!

We always wanted to go to this park and finally could do it on a very chilly weekend 🥶. We went for day use only and had our parking pass booked online. The map given to us at the entrance was very helpful and showed us a very detailed view of the park. We headed to the P2 parking lot at the beach and started our walk on the very very beautiful and sandy beach . It was cold, windy and very chilly on a sunny day but the walk was so worth it with the calming sound of the waves of lake Huron and almost the entire beach available to us, there were hardly 8-10 people that we could see as far as our eyes could. There are many viewpoints on the map, but honestly all the views are the same 😁. If you are parked at the P4 parking lot ,then you can watch the lake from your car. There are park stores, a visitor center and a cafeteria in the park but they are open only during the summer(post May). So, during the off season please pack a picnic and enjoy a fun day walking, swimming, running and on the beach. We waited until sunset and watched one of the most beautiful sunsets that we have in Ontario. Please note that there are no lifeguards on the beach.

We went for an camping 2 days back. Place was good and mainly properly maintained.
All the restrooms were clean and the best thing is they don't have vault toilets everything is a proper ones and which is good.
We enjoyed a lot. Good place for big family and friends.

The park staff are nice and friendly! The campground/park is well maintained and very clean! Some areas of the park (trails, campgrounds, etc…) are closed for the season but there’s still a few trails that are open. The day use area is open until 10pm which holds nice big picnic shelters, picnic tables, pit toilets and several beach areas including a pet beach. Since I visited during the off season, the campground was very quiet with only a few campers around. I stayed at the Riverside campground (not that much privacy since the campsites are so close to each other) and noticed they also have yurts (not the tent kind, more like a tiny cabin).
Date of visit: November 2022

This is one of my favourite places to be. The park is so clean and well maintained. The endless stretch of beach and Sand dunes make the beach look so beautiful..
We go here often to camp but is also a great place for an day picnic. Lots of day use areas and water is absolutely amazing. Not too deep for a very long distance..

Beautiful park. Well kept, and the bathrooms and showers were also clean. The dog beaches are great. Would love to see some improvements in the trailer dump sites. There are only 2 dump sites for the whole park and only 1 RV can dump at a time, causing big line ups. We had to wait 1 hr to dump before leaving the park. Additional dump sites, or multiple dump spots on each dump site would greatly minimize any line ups, and allow guests to leave in a timely manner. All in all, a great place for camping. I will be visiting again in the future.

Amazing sunsets, lots of good walking trails. Campground is huge with around 1000 sites. Decent washrooms. Has Shaw's ice cream, bike rentals and canoe/kayak rentals. Many guided walks throughout the park. Only downside is so much poison ivy, you really have to be very careful.
Megan Daigneault — Google review
It’s an amazing camping facility with a lovely beach close the camping location. Washroom was clean and well maintained. Acceptable distance from one spot to the other which gives you your privacy.
Just like any other campsite, mosquito repellents is a must

Pinery provincial park is a fantastic place for either a day use or camping. We have visited a couple times and every-time there is some good happening there. There is not much of winters activities in the area so we were surprised with all the options at Pinery. They have snowshoeing, Cross Country skiing, Tobogganing etc.. if you go at the right time the line ups are jot to bad, but this place can get sometimes really busy and have long lineups. Closer to other options like Grand Bend makes its an ideal spot. Will be visiting again.

Fairly large and very well travelled Provincial park. The beaches are very nice and you always get a beautiful sunset. Dog friendly beaches on both ends of the park. Campsites are fairly private and most are decent quality. As with all provincial parks, the online reservation system gives you a good idea what to expect from each site. Each campsite is a little different, but all are close to the beach. Visit many times a year! Even has skiing during the winter season.

Wonderful Park. Great beach, excellent store, great sites, great staff. I have stayed at 7 different parks this summer and this would be my favourite. As always, check the site thoroughly when booking on line. While most are large and well treed they tend to. Be shallow and sometimes poor privacy. Also, be prepared for a long run to electrical. My site was about 25 m but description said only 15. That is a huge difference.
Scott Travers — Google review
A beautiful combination of beachfront and wooded areas to make this park fun and exciting. Some parks can get boring after visiting once or twice but this park has so much to offer and a wide variety of natural amenities! The park also offers canoe and bike rentals to help you make your way around the park. Definitely worth checking out!

Our camping went really well. The park is well organized, washrooms and showers were clean and convenient.
And the beach was amazing. Getting to the beach via sand dunes was pretty cool as well.
We have also rented a canoe for our family to enjoy the canal.
We are planning to come back to Pinery next year.

This isn't a hotel, it's a campsite. I went with a group of 12, and we had a blast. The site was large, well laid out, and in good repair. The bathrooms were clean and in good repair. The beach is within walking distance and was great. Accessible only to guests of the park, it wasn't overcrowded. There are no lifeguards, so keep that in mind if you've got little ones or aren't the strongest swimmer. The winds can really kick up the waves, and the undertow was quite strong.
Scott Petrie — Google review
Traveled with family, including a toddler. Highly recommend booking Dunes campground, as it's closest to the beach. Facilities were in good shape. There's a store available if you need supplies and a restaurant for a meal. The park is larger than it looks on a map. Bringing your bike certainly helps get around, there are lots of trails available. Will definitely return.

This is my favourite place to come to enjoy nature. I have been hiking and biking on the trails many times and it’s always so enjoyable and peaceful to hear the birds singing and enjoying the wildlife you can come across. It’s also a beautiful place to come to do photography as there are many gorgeous views. The beach here is lovely and the large river is great for canoeing and kayaking
Sarah Meidinger — Google review
Came to the Park for the beach. I reserved online in advance for the day use. The beach is a mix of pebbles and sand. The water is clear and I didn't see much algae. To access the beach, once you parked, there is a path over the dunes from the parking to the beach. There is a hand and foot washing station near the parking as well as washrooms and picnic benches under a shelter.
There are more washrooms near the beach as well. The beach was not crowded. Advisable to wear water shoes makes it easier to walk on the pebbles. The water was calm during the day but the waves got heavier towards the evening.
It's fun driving in the park the road is paved and surrounded with trees.
There is a store in the park. Rental for bike and canoe.
Kamal Suri — Google review
The park itself is great, the staff is great as well. Washrooms are clean. The only issue is the gate system. Unlike every other PP, you have to wait in line everytime you leave the park even if you already have your permit. Some days if you pop out to get supplies you can wait an hour or more just to get back in. They need to open an additional lane for permit holders.

I love Pinery! I go camping here every summer, always has the best sunsets. The grounds are enormous, and there’s always so much do to. They have the best beach in my opinion! The comfort stations are also usually well kept. Will keep coming back!

Lovely provincial park, not the most challenging hikes but big trail system which would be great for cross country skiing if we ever get snow.
In the warmer months the beach would be fantastic.

Well maintained provincial park on Lake Huron. The camp store and restaurant are not open over the Easter weekend but Grand bend is a short drive from the park. Can’t beat the views.
Anant R — Google review
We went there on a weekend of late fall for a day trip. Barely anyone else was there on the beach. There are total 9 beaches. But only #9 was open to park our car. The park people were nice and very friendly. This park is great for cycling. Paved roads are long enough to ride a bicycle and enjoy the spectacular view of nature. We enjoyed a great view of sunset from the canoo launch platform near the shop. It was one of the greatest memories to remember in coming days. There are many trails to explore. We will definitely give it another visit.
Lifeberg Lifeberg — Google review
Beautiful large expanse of sandy beach. Lake Huron water is bracing . Be mindful of the strong undertow. Sensitive eco systems throughout the park so visitors are encouraged to stick to the trails. Loads of hiking opportunities !
Upon arrival you are given a map which outlines the various points of entry. Each point of entry has a separate parking area with comfort station. The comfort station consists of a small sink, counter, mirror and soap. This is all open concept and directly outside of the outhouse. We changed in our car.
The entire beach and surrounding areas were very clean. Well maintained park.
Gorgeous natural setting ! Kick back and listen to the waves rolling in on the beach. Reconnect with your happy place.
Pinery Market, situated near the entrance to Pinery Provincial Park along Lakeshore Road, is a family-owned market featuring a diverse range of vendors. It operates every Sunday from May to Thanksgiving weekend and offers an array of goods including local produce, meat, toys, antiques, and more. The market combines elements of an antique flea market and farmers market with offerings from local pickers, producers, farmers, artisans, coffee roasters and restaurants.
What an experience! So much to see and explore. Local food vendors, clothes, so many neat items you won't find anywhere else and so much more. Definitely worth the trip to see the vendors and all there wares. Make sure to pack your patience and give yourself a few hours to truly enjoy the market.

Same old venders and products from 25 years ago. Slight changes to make offerings better like local breweries etc.
Busy as usual on Sundays and $2 per person to enter.
Worth a try if you are in the area for a weekend

The Pinery Market is only minutes away from the Pinery Provincial Park. If you are in this area on a Sunday you should make this stop part of your day trip!! Lots of local food and unique finds! Be prepared for a bit of a delay getting in or out this is a very popular attraction!! A must see!

There's a little bit of everything at the market! Antiques to handmade items, food, crafts, clothing, gemstones, fishing gear and more. We never leave empty handed (even when we're trying to be good).
The food truck selection can't be beat either - absolutely amazing offerings! Come to browse, and stay for lunch - you won't regret it!

Beautiful location, it feels like a market in the middle of the forest. Everyone we met during our time there was extremely friendly. Lots of amazing vendors. You can find almost everything here. Well worth checking out if you are in the neighborhood on a Sunday.

Garage sale meets Flea Market ! Lol super dumpy …no soap or toilet paper in the bathrooms. a lot of the vendors are just garbage there’s couple of good food vendors, but that’s about it. I wouldn’t go back and just word to the wise to other people wondering if they should vend here because it appears to be busy… Do not waste your Sunday sell your stuff somewhere else, it’s all junk here and nobody spending money.

Rings for $5 were tempting as some were even gold electroplated. This was beside the polarized sunglasses for $20 which I almost got. Definitely need to go when your in the spending mood! They have it all though.
Chantelle Nicole Duchesne — Google review
It was all right. There were a lot of MLM stands. I’d rather see more garage sale-like stands than the overabundance of health products and supplements. There were a lot of import clothing stands, flags, and wolf blankets. I’ve been there 3 times in the last 5 or 6 years and it really doesn’t change much at all. Lots of homemade dips and knitted items. If you’re looking for antique items it’s not really very productive. Probably won’t go back again.

Pinery market is the Sunday local/ flea market since 1967. RAIN or SHINE! It opens up every Sunday from 9 Am to 4 pm , beginning the 1st Sunday in May till the Thanksgiving. It promotes small local business / vendor.
Entry fee of $2 per adult is charged and a huge parking for unlimited vehicles.
And well planned events are hosted- Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, ice-cream festival, street food.
Great place for Sunday summer breaks to browse, shop eat promote and enjoy the live music.
My favourite is the vintage cent rides and park for the kids.🙃

Very busy market with everything from power tools to apple pies. A lot of the customers seemed like campers or beachgoers. Police were directing traffic to get in. $2/person to get in. Fun place to visit and get some food or mementos, but if you don't like slow moving crowds, you'll be frustrated before you've even parked the car.

Grand Bend Beach is an urban beach situated in Ontario, Canada. This beach is famous for its water sports rentals and a boardwalk filled with shops and eateries. It has been awarded the prestigious Blue Flag certification for meeting rigorous criteria such as safety, environmental management and high-quality water standards. The town of Grand Bend has a long history as one of the first beach towns in the region, where visitors can enjoy ice cream stands, hot food sellers and other summer activities.
My favorite beach out of all. I come here 2-3 times every summer. Nice long drive with peaceful scenery and a big beach which will make you want come here every summer.

This area really is an amazing place. Feels like the Caribbean on calm sunny days, and the Pacific (surfs up) on rough days. Everyone should experience both! Grand Bend Beach is a well equipped location complete with water park, life guards, concession and lots of bathrooms. It does get busy though, and traffic is a total disaster up the strip so plan ahead. Live music at the beautiful band stand, sponsored by many members of the community including Ellison Travel. Enjoy!

Great beach! Nice sand and very wide. It can get packed on summer weekends, but otherwise our favorite Lake Huron beach. Water is very swimmable. Beautiful sunsets of course. Quite a few restaurants and bars close by to grab a bite and a beverage. Be aware that parking is limited.
Alexander Babin — Google review
Grand Bend was packed on a hot August weekend. Water and sand is stunning. All day parking is $25 but it's all luck to get a spot. Washrooms, change rooms and water fountain available on site. Rocky along the shore when you're stepping in but then it's sandy. It gets deep without walking too far out. If you don't pack food there's food avail from different vendors. If you forgot any beach gear they have local shops. Evenings they have live music. Bylaw officers patrol the beach. Dogs aren't allowed here you have to bring them to another area (or receive a ticket). Believe the hype about this place.
Tiger Lilly — Google review
You got to get here nice and early if you want to find a spot. Parking fills up pretty quickly and so do spots on the beach, both were packed. Actually, it's probably best to stay here overnight, we did a day trip from Toronto and it was exhausting. Definitely take a walk up and down the strip and check out all the shops, you'll find some nice patios and fast food. The actual beach is very nice. The water was semi calm and cool. You can hang back with your cooler full of snacks and drinks. And have a good time. I'll be going back next summer.

I come here very often for sunset observing or just want a solitude time by the beach. It’s nice, quiet and peaceful. Parking does cost a bit, no alcoholic access. Police will check before you enter the main beach.

The entire town is busy in Summer and Spring, and often times over crowded and “almost every piece of asphalt is paid parking”. But Grand Bend has some of the most beautiful beach sight and you are able to see the sunset view across the Lake. There is amole space and scope to swim and enjoy the food afterwards. The whole town is a tourist town so, you will have your time taken by buying all nity grity stuffs from local stores. Not much to do in winter and very cold too (often cold in summer too), and the town seems to lose its charm. The distance is also very far, specially if you are travelling from a 401 city. “Anakin Skywalker” would probably avoid this place

Extremely nice beach with tons of food/patio options. Outdoor shopping and indoor shopping with tons of different things. Beautiful apartment buildings and occasional live music. I will absolutely be returning for more. Life guards take their job seriously and they absolutely add to the vibe and security of the beach. Feels more California than some California beaches.
TONS of people though. If people aren’t your thing, avoid this beach. I visited on a Saturday and there were thousands of people.

Grand Bend has never failed to please us.
It was my second time visiting Grand Bend Beach with family and friends
Pros:
- Clear water with waves 🌊🏖️
- Soft sand
- Plenty of options to eat/dine in
Cons:
- Parking isn't available easily 🅿️❌
- Always long lines for Washroom 🚻☹️
but good that they have a few changing rooms inside the washroom
- Never find the best place/area to sit because it is always crowded because of the weekends especially during Summer
But my kid and my friend's kid always love playing on the beach and swimming in the water so it is all worth visiting Grand Bend 😍🏖️🩴🐚🌊

Visited in August 2023. Water was clean (lots of waves) and beach area was busy but clean as well. Was surprised by the amount of rules and constant checking by the by-law officers. They are walking up and down the beach all day to enforce rules.
A couple of things to note: no alcohol, no smoking, no pop-up tents, and no barbecuing. Lots of rules but that keeps the rest of the beach pleasant.

We simply had a wonderful time for everyone in the family. Kids have playground 🛝, splash 💦 areas, tons of all types of ice cream 🍨 and finally very testy dinner. Around 3 hr from Vaughan. Weather was so amazing with zero rain 🌧️ and endless 🌞. Beaches were so beautiful with nice sand and No rocks 🪨. Life guard work till 7 pm in July , life jackets for kids and you can rent umbrella ☂️ for 10 dollars. Washrooms and changing rooms are on site. Parking 🅿️ on site near beach 🏖️. You will like it!

Grand Bend Beach offers an enchanting escape that makes the two-hour drive well worth the journey. My recent visit on a sunny Sunday morning left me in awe of its natural beauty and the splendid experiences it had to offer.
Arriving at the beach around 10 am, we opted to park in the north parking lots. The early start worked to our advantage as there was ample parking available at that time. However, I'd advise future visitors to aim for an early arrival, as the lots tend to fill up rapidly after 11:30 am.
The moment we stepped onto the beach, we were greeted by a scene of sheer serenity. The pristine shores stretched before us, adorned with fine golden sand and caressed by the gentle waves of Lake Huron. The beauty of the surroundings was complemented by the perfect weather, creating an ideal setting for a day of relaxation and fun.
The highlight, of course, was the water itself. Crystal-clear and inviting, it was a true pleasure to swim in. The temperature was just right – refreshing enough to provide relief from the sun's warmth, yet not too chilly to deter us from taking a dip. Whether swimming or simply wading in the shallows, the experience was nothing short of rejuvenating.
Grand Bend Beach has undoubtedly earned its reputation as a popular destination. The combination of its stunning shoreline, inviting waters, and the pleasant weather makes it a true gem for anyone seeking a beach getaway. As you plan your visit, remember that arriving early is the key to securing convenient parking and making the most of your time by the water. All in all, my day at Grand Bend Beach left me with wonderful memories and a strong desire to return for more moments of bliss along its picturesque shores.
Amazing beach love it here the sand is clean water is clean for the most part but you have to be careful when going in deeper the life guards are very good and pay attention. 2 small children were swept under the water and they where saved with in seconds. The food and good and near the beach and lots of cute Little shops all around the town I would highly recommend this beach

Lake Erie beach perfection at its finest - beautiful deep sandy beach, shallow waters, posted lifeguards (in-season) and steps always from any amenity you might need - restaurants, ice-cream shops, convenience stores, shopping, a quaint small-town downtown chock full of hidden surprises and delights. And for those so inclined, an almost-adjacent LCBO for some cold, frosty refreshments. Plenty of great fishing spots as well for the anglers. All-in-all, a great little town, a scenic beach, and all the fixin’s for a memorable fun time. Highly recommended.

I hadn't visited [here] since I was a kid. This time, went on a whim with my beau late at night. <3
That said, I don't remember much from childhood.
I think it is a very beautiful landscape and town, relatively clean, and serene. Definitely cottage-country, laidback kind of vibe. Love to visit again, diurnal style.
I imagine it's just as wonderful during the day, too. ^_^,

One of the nicest beaches I've visited in Ontario on Lake Erie and I've been to alot of them. Very clean, massive sand and beach (Main Beach). They have every thing you could possibly need there to foot washes, showers, restaurants right in the beach and parking everything. Water is clean and the sandbar is long and shallow. A beautiful walk way out the lighthouse and a very nice town with many options. There is also another beach called Little Beach right around the corner that was very nice as well but like it says little. I highly recommend Main Beach ⛱️ it's a gem 💎.

Very accessible and close to parking. Washrooms are mostly the porta potty stalls so bring your own sanitizer or washer sometimes they're out.
Water has a layer or gravel around 3-4 feet in but clears up real fast and it's all smooth sand after. Lifeguards sit from morning around 10-11 till 5pm. Otherwise no supervision. There is a foot shower yoi can go to afterwards. Beach is mostly clean.
Parking close costs around $4/hour but it's free before 8am and after 5pm.
Sun set looked pretty beauitful as well.
No you can't really see much of the United States lol. At least I couldn't cath a glimpse of land or skyscrapers.

Honestly, the quality of sand is not perfect as pebbles, coarse sands are mixed. But it’s a bustling beach full of entertainments, see people do a lot of sports there. Taking a walk around the port is a beautiful experience, food, scenic are perfect

Great beach with so much to do! The beach is very well maintained and safe with lifeguards and flags to identify how safe the water is. Tons of food options and the beach never seems too crowded. There are covered pavilions and a playground as well!

Love this place. the beach is super clean and there are awesome lifeguards on duty. the small town of Port Stanley have a lot of places to eat & it is clean and quaint. It gets really busy, so come there early. and there is not a lot of shade, so I suggest bringing a tent or umbrella.

Great beach. Clean and safe when there is NO SURF. Lake Erie has always had a strong undertow. There are lifeguards on the beach. Have a walk on the pier and go to Mackies for fries and simple hotdog.

I visited Port Stanley Beach in summer and I have to say it exceeded my expectations! The beach is absolutely gorgeous with soft sand and crystal clear water. The view of Lake Erie is breathtaking and there's plenty of space to relax and enjoy the scenery.
What impressed me the most was the cleanliness and organization of the beach. The staff was very friendly and helpful and they kept the beach spotless. There were plenty of clean washrooms, showers, and changing rooms available which made our visit even more comfortable.
The beach also has a wide range of amenities including volleyball courts, playgrounds, and plenty of food options. It's perfect for a day out with family and friends. The parking is also convenient and there are plenty of spaces available.
Overall, I highly recommend visiting Port Stanley Beach if you're in Ontario. It's truly one of the best beaches in the area and I can't wait to visit again!

The Beach: 2 beaches, 1 wide and 1 small, both clean. The wide has clear water, a bit cold but the body adapts, friendly and family environment, great for a day use. For sure you need to bring an umbrella or a beach tent, chairs, apply sun protection cream as the sun gets intense starting 1~2 pm.
Car Parking: if you arrive early there, then you have better chance to fond a spot in the pain parking. Arriving at noon time or later, it will take couple of laps to find a place. Parking in streets is free and limited to 2 hours from 10 to 5, after that no limits, again it requires couple of laps to find a spot.
Washrooms: There are public washrooms
Restaurants: there are few near the beach. Tried one "The Buccaneer". It is very nice, great food varieties and big portions.
City: very nice and cozy for a nice afternoon/evening walk by pier, many restaurants and ice cream shops, friendly and clean, many areas for sitting around the pier.

These pictures were taken a couple days after a tremendous amount of rain, so the water is very muddy.
I'm sure that it's usually much clearer. Very nice beach and Marina.

If you're at Port Stanley, then you must do the train ride. It's an hour long ride and takes place thrice a day. The last ride starts at 3 pm. Usually, it fills up quickly, especially in the summer. The adult fare is $15, which I believe is worth it. The gentleman conducting the ride is knowledgeable with a great sense of humor, so he will keep you entertained for the duration of the ride. The ride is very scenic and perfect on a nice summer's day. Kids will find it thoroughly enjoyable. Make sure you do it if you find yourself at Port Stanley this summer ☀️

Port Stanley is a great spot. We took the rare mileage tour, which was certainly a special experience. Great for rail fans or just those looking for a way to spend their Saturday. The conductors were great, giving us many opportunities for run passes (you get off train and let it drive past you for a video then get back on). Overall great trip that I would do again. Very scenic too!

A considerable tour to add to your list when visiting port Stanley. They have varieties of themes to chose from. You can get tickets online or in person. I would suggest to buy them online beforehand as it gets very busy on the day of the ride so chances can be minimum to get the tickets for weekends or holidays season.

Fantastic trip today, we did the extended ride. Great weather for it, a nice breeze through the windowless openings. The conductor did a great job spinning the tales on the way out. The way back passengers are on their own, but that was fine, we had pretty decent car mates and nice scenery. Tip for others, we bought our tickets online ahead of time, I'm glad we did. On a long weekend this place is quite popular. We boarded the train 20-25min before departure and I bet the cars were already 75 percent full. I wish the gift shop would have had shirts with the emblem on the front and a nice train pic on the back, or a nice train fridge magnet... I bought a couple other train things I liked. Oh' it was the Calipso festival today in Port Stanley.... Fun; but that's for a different review.

Victoria Park, established in 1874 and spanning an area of 18 acres, boasts a replica of the Whitehall cenotaph as well as a stage among other attractions. It is a popular destination for lunches, family outings and dates due to its scenic beauty. The park offers ample opportunities for recreation such as walking or running alongside the well-maintained ice rink and picnicking on its lush grounds.
Always a beautiful walk! Perfect for lunches, families, and dates. With everything else being closed, getting hot chocolate from the Starbucks across the street and walking around, has become one of my favourite pastimes. The ice rink Is well maintained and there are enough benches, but it can get pretty crowded over the weekend. The lights at night are of course gorgeous.

The outdoor ice skating rink is small but well managed. There are plenty of sitting areas around the rink where you can place your bags and change the shoes. It would have been nicer if the tree lights were on at night. The washroom is open to public but you need to visit the security office in front of the rink to have it unlocked for you.

Nice park in Downtown London. All festival is held in this park. Today is the Ribfest weekend. Good ribs. For a mini getaway with the kids, this water park is nice & close to home. We had littles, so it was nice they had everything for everyone. Enough room for adults to find shaded places to sit, background music, and clean bathrooms/change rooms!
You can buy tickets ahead of time online, but there's one line to get wristbands anyway, so there's no difference. We needed to get a refund for 2 tickets, but they give you credit to use until the end of the season instead. We could use it towards any other activity, so we decided to use it for go-carts, which worked out.
The staff is very helpful & professional for as young as they all were, they were very well trained. We'll be back!

If you are entering the village, say so at the entrance of Franshaw and you may not have to pay admission there. Cause there is admission to enter this village. Inside you will find many old buildings, architecture, items and possessions and each of them has a story to tell and it feels like taking a walk back in time. The staffs are also dressed and trained to speak in the 1900s-ish style english and makes it very interesting to listen to each of the building’s story. You may also find cat(s). It was great seeing the different building styles and how some houses from 1800's were very advanced even having poxket doors. Also I had not seen a brick house from the 1800's before so that was interesting. Worth going.

Yesterday was my second time visiting Fanshawe Pioneer Village and I enjoyed both visits immensely! The staff who I met so far were very professional and welcoming. The atmosphere here reminds me of what was produced in the Anne of Green Gables movies since that was the theme of the first event I attended almost a month ago. It also reminds me of several of the positive experiences of growing up in Hopeall (a small village) in Newfoundland as a child. AMAZING. The best family attraction we have taken our daughter to her whole life. This place has it all for family fun. Lots of games, attractions, a wagon ride, animals, and best of all a good dose of humour. The owner has incorporated so many good laughs throughout the park via signage, and attractions (the goat walk and food conveyor were hilarious), a pumpkin cannon, and more! To begin, the store was much bigger then I thought and had some great gift ideas and great prices. The adventure farm in behind the store was much bigger then I anticipated and had so much to do. The animals on the farm looked well taken care of and were very friendly towards us when petting/feeding. This would be a great place to take the kids too. We weren't sure what to expect, and thought the price was a bit steep compared to some other adventure farms we've been to. But we were ever wrong! The price is an amazing deal for everything they have to offer! We were there for 5 hours and still didn't manage to do everything! My 4 year old had an amazing time and is already asking to go back!

Best day ever! Our family enjoyed a fun-filled day full of learning, adventure, exploration and fun. There was so much to see and do. We managed to check out almost everything during our 5-hour stay. Well done to the staff and owners for this incredible establishment and thank you for the experience, we will be back again.

Been coming to Clovermead for several years now, but hadn't been in a year and WOW! The renovated climbing area was simply amazing! If you have youth there is no doubt you need to plan a day trip to Clovermead!

Lots of fun for all ages. My kids range from 3 months to 12 years old.
They have thought of the adults! There are so many places to sit down in the shade. Chairs, benches, swings and tables. They have the "honeysuckle house" to change diapers and nurse, there are also full big bathrooms near the gift shop with change tables.
Cards only, no cash at the food vendors.
If you bring your own picnic lunch, they have tables near the parking lot you can use.
Pack swim suits for the amazing splash pad!

You need to plan to spend a WHOLE day here. Got there at 9 15am and left at 4 30 pm. Cost $145 for 2 adults and 3 kids at the gate. Food is a bit pricey. You can bring your own food, but don't be rude about it bringing a whole BBQ spread. Simple finger foods. Staff are zuper friendly. Clean, surprisingly clean for it being run rapid with kids, haha. Bathrooms especially!!! Takes a whole day to get through the entire thing, especially with kids.
Will for sure be returning!
Thank you for the amazing memories with my family.

This place is amazing! Today was our first visit and we will most definitely be back. We came with 3 adults, an 8 year old, 3 year old, 18 mth old and 6 mth old and everyone of us had fun. There has been so much attention to detail put into this farm. We sadly only had about 4.5 hours at the farm so we didn’t even get to all the activities but highlights were the Jordan forts, slash pad, mining for gems, animals, and tractors/tricycles. We will be recommending your farm to everyone!! It’s so well done. We brought some honey home and can’t wait to try it ! Thanks for such a great day!
Michelle Peters-Sutherland — Google review
Oh, this is a fun, cute place. My 8 year old had a blast in the mazes, the splash pad, even at the bee demonstration, which is amazing because he is horrified of all flying bugs. They made it fun to be in a room full of them! So yay! Also, they have incredible silly signs absolutely everywhere, and this made my day. We also enjoyed the sluicing option here, something I hadn't done since I was a kid myself. Lots of splashy fun, for sure.
Of course, they sell honey here, I picked up some buckwheat honey that I'd been having trouble finding anywhere else. A very good price, compared to elsewhere that I'd been looking (oh, Amazon...)
Food options are a bit pricey, but that's to be expected I guess. If/when we go back, we'll just bring snacks and lunch along with.
I think this would be even more amazing to a smaller kiddo, but as far as new experiences go, not a bad one for a kid his age.

Was a really fun day. Spent the whole day and this farm needs a whole day. So much to do and see. Went in with no expectations and was blown away. Food was good and plentiful, portions just the right size except the funnel cake (I've never had one so small) but aside from that one very minor thing it was great! Will be back to see pumpkins flying in the fall!
Coastal destination with campgrounds, a sandy beach with dog-friendly area & kids' playground.
Very clean, well maintained and well supervised park. Our campsite was clean, with a beautiful view of the ravine. Comfort stations are will maintained and the kids loved the playground. Its a short drive to the beach - but worth every second! The dog beach is gorgeous, too.

Beautiful Sandy, rockless beach. Many sand bars, warm water. We went on the Sunday before the start of school, Labour Day. Beautiful day, it was pretty busy, the waves were huge. The nude beach is the last section of the beach, which was a LONG 4km walk, since parking was full it was an even longer walk, my only complaint. Other then that was a good day. Next time I think we'll bring the dogs (and swimsuits lol) since there's a dog beach on the other side. Didn't get a chance to checkout the rest of the park but from what I can tell looked good and clean.

We camped here during last summer on a rainy day . It’s got everything that you would wish for in a good campground, private campsites, clean washrooms, sandy beaches for amazing sunsets. The only downside on a rainy day is that since it has marshes that are pretty close to certain campsites which resulted in lots of bugs, creepy crawlies and mosquitoes on a rainy day. Just be prepared to tackle this on a rainy day and you are all set. Also gypsy moth infestation was at peak even in this park during the first week of July resulting in lots of gypsy moth caterpillars on your campsite
Nehal — Google review
Currently just under $17 for the day. Not over crowded. Love the leash and off leash area for dogs. Lots of waves. The water level is great, not deep so it's safe for puppies to learn to swim. Sandy with very few rocks which is great.
April Demarest — Google review
Awesome park if you have dogs, off leash dog beach was great with tons of furry friends, nice sand and water. Campsite itself was very private, clean and cozy. Neat little port Town close by. Worth the trek to Norfolk
Paul Budzen — Google review
Nice big campsites, one trail to hike, beach access is by car only or a long walk on the road, which is inconvenient for kids. Beach is long and wide, great for dogs with off leash area but there were tons of dogs, so lots of barking too.
I'm giving 4 stars due to the lack of beach access and lack of hiking trails.

Went back to this park for another camping weekend and it was great! Stayed at Iroquois campground and the site we had was huge. Bathrooms were always clean! The beach was a bit of a hike which is fine if you don't plan on bringing toys and stuffs. We hiked one evening and drove to it (less than 5 mins) the next day with all the gear. Beach is nice and sandy and it wasn't overly crowded!

I always enjoy this park with a variety of campsites. Not-so private to good privacy. There's a couple trails for nature walks and there's a large beach on Lake Erie. Close to town of Burwell in case you need anything.

Wonderful park. Well-maintained, with friendly staff. The beach--all 3k of it--is to die for. The dog beach (on-leash and off-leash) is the nicest we've found in the provincial parks we've visited. Our electric site (#10) is huge and well-separated from others. We'll be back!
Mark Hartburg — Google review
We went there one hot afternoon, when we reached there Site 4, 5 were full, so we went to Site 3. The parking was sufficient. The distance from parking to beach is long to carry your stuff . The rest rooms are not flush toilet but vault toilets.
The picnic shelters are good, you can cook and BBQ there. The parking fee was $18/car.
Tariq Saeed — Google review
Great spot for a day trip. we didn't look much past the beach since we drove 2.5 hours to get there ... was able to bring my own portable charcole bbq. However, the cooking spot was well far from the beach. If you plan on cooking on the beach, I would say don't they have wardens patrolling regularly. Beach was huge, and even tho it filled up during the afternoon, there was lots of room!! It is all sand and shallow, and it is perfect for the kids !! The beach is all day sun, so bring a shade tent. They do have a dog beach as well !!! Again, if you want to bbq in the day spot, get there early before all the picnic tables get used up. LOTS OF POISON IVY AROUND TIP IF YOU GOT YOUNG KIDS I ALWAYS REMIND THEM TO STAY ON THE MAIN PATH AND ASSUME EVERYTHING GREEN IS POISON IVY engrain that into them and you'll never have an issue or atleast I have not!!!

Amazing sandy beach with very few rocks or sea shells. Separate dog beach. Nice picnic area. This provincial park does have a camping area. It is a good spot to spend time with friends and family. Per day pass is only $17, which is worth.

Port Burwell is a decent little park, walking distance from the beach and town, playground for kids and a decent walking trail that is very accessible from any campground in the park. Our first night there, we went for a walk down the trail in the park heading towards the top of the park then circle back to head to the beach, on this section we encounter 8 different deer. All of them were a stone throw away allowing us to get close enough for a good view. The very last deer we ran into was on the trail around a blind corner, not knowing it was their as we were being quiet on the walk. I came around the corner and it was in the middle of the trail 30 meters infront of me, giving me a rare up close stare down with a deer lol
All and all this park was decent to camp at and the up close experience with the wildlife gave the trail a really enjoyable feel. The beach is really nice too being one of the better ones on Lake Erie. If you want to go somewhere to relax this is a good place and if you want to swim this is a good place beside that, their isn't much to do here for long stays at the campground or in the town itself
A Snow — Google review
Loved this place. The reason for 4 stars is because the signage for group camping is hidden and the map is not clear. The washrooms for the group camping smell like rotting bodies - the worst I've smelled. Why wouldn't there be flush toilets in the most densely populated area? Not sure.
Great space with room for lots of families.
A hidden gem in the area. Who would ever imagine getting close to a cold war era submarine, not to mention getting into one?
The tour was extremely well conducted by a volunteer, who shared a lot of fun facts and fascinating stories. The internal space is cramped (as a sub should be), but well maintained and ventilated. Just watch your head if you're tall.
Give it a visit, it is worth the drive and you won't be disappointed. Advance booking is strongly encouraged, as they only run group of 5 tours every half an hour due to COVID.

A piece of both Canadian and World History.
My wife and I visited the HMCS Ojibwa this afternoon (12 tour) and had a wonderful time. The guide was very knowledgeable, and the tour (about 60 minutes) was well worth the admission price. I would recommend it to Canadians to experience what it was like to serve on a submarine for 3 months at a time.

What an awesome experience!! Can’t recommend this place enough. We’ve been on a couple of submarine tours, mostly in the States and this was by far the best (and biggest). Ian, the executive director, our guide and curator of the Ojibwa was knowledgeable on all aspects of the vessel. Well worth the trip from anywhere within southern Ontario and the Lake Erie/Ontario bordering States. Will be back again.

Total surprise to me to learn that the local military museum had a Cold War submarine that you could take a tour through. Apparently, the museum went to buy a tank one day, and ended up with a submarine!
Very knowledgeable and friendly guide, fascinating tour. Unfortunately they were filming a movie while I was there, so we were only allowed to see the forward part of the boat. Obviously I must come back some day.

What a cool find in Port Burwell! This is a really really REALLY awesome museum, worth the long trip for the kids and adults to experience and learn about this part of Canadian history. The whole family had so much fun just taking it all in, amazed at the technology and the people who sailed it. Drove from Long Point to this place and have to say the drive was great as well! Winding roads and rolling terrain, seeing wind farms and glimpses of Lake Erie were a nice change from high speed highways.

Great tour. Never expected it to be such tight quarters. Working amateur radio room VE3ZFQ for licenced operators. Contact VE3TLT to book your on air session. While here ask about which Hollywood movie stars came here to learn what it would be like to be an officer on a "movie" submarine.

So impressive to see the inside of this submarine! One of three Canadian submarines from this era, the others being HMCS Onondaga now located in Rimouski, QC and HMCS Okanagan which was unfortunately scrapped in 2011. The tour lasted about an hour. I strongly recommend you reserve your place online ahead of time. Thank you to all those who keep this beautiful ship open to the public!

Visited today with two of my kids. Daughter 12 and son 17. All of us absolutely loved it!!! It was very educational and our tour guide was very informative had a good sense of humor and manage to get everyone participating in different activities inside the submarine. You could actually imagine yourself being there with all the soldiers. There was enough time to take pictures and be able to touch and feel things there.(Our tour guide was an older gentleman that had tremendous knowledge.) Thank you!!! Highly recommend this trip!!!

The Avon Theatre, a well-established performing arts venue within the Stratford Festival, boasts a traditional proscenium stage that hosts various plays, musicals and concerts. Visitors have the opportunity to take a backstage tour and browse through the connected gift shop. Although private boxes are available for those seeking privacy during shows, some views may be obstructed. The theatre showcases exceptional actors and elaborate sets to enhance audience experience, with productions such as An Ideal Husband receiving high praise from patrons.
An excellent theatre with outstanding actors and marvelous sets. The seating is good and you will certainly enjoy your time here. I saw An Ideal Husband, which I would also give a 5/5.

Went to see Chicago with a bunch of community members of the retirement home I work for. Amazing performance! The most entertaining and talented singers and dancers, and incredible staff! So helpful, and had an amazing experience all around. Definitely recommend for anybody and everybody!!

The Avon Theatre is right in the heart of downtown Stratford, which makes it so easy to visit! It's a beautiful theatre, renovated most recently in the 1990s, but in the traditional theatre style of old. I was there quite a bit this past year because it's where the Rocky Horror Show was playing through the Stratford Festival. IT WAS AWESOME!!

We were very happy with how we were treated. We booked balcony seats and my mom has a walker. There are quite a few steps to get to the balcony and one of the workers stopped us right away and said she would find us seats in the special access area. They did and my mom didn’t have to do any stairs! Everyone there treated my mom like a VIP. We were so impressed! Thank you to everyone who helped!! We had a wonderful time!! I love the Stratford Festival so much. The Avon is a great theatre. They offer a behind the scenes tour, which I strongly recommend. The gift shop is also connected to the theatre which is a nice way to spend some time before the show starts. I don't recommend sitting in the private boxes. While nice and private you do miss part of the show for things that happen near stage left or right depending on which side of the theatre your box is on.

My first time attending an event here - Hyprov: Improv Under Hypnosis. Fantastic show. Great seat. Colin Mochrie, improvisor extraordinaire, and Asad Mecci, amazing hypnotist gave the audience an unbelievable, mind-blowing, "hotter than a pizza pocket", hilarious show.
Will be back for "Spamalot" in April.

Nice theatre overall, very friendly staff! The seating is very cozy, as in knees against the back of seats if you're tall or a larger person. The ambience is beautiful and you can see the entire stage without obstruction due to how the seats are positioned. The gift shop had some great finds as well.
Christina Pigeau — Google review
The theater is beautiful and staff are very friendly and helpful. But oh my God those seats we had were miserable! I'm 6ft tall and my knees were pulling up to my chest. I was so sore when the play was done. I know there are probably roomier seats but I'm sure that comes with a price. Gotta make ALL the seats comfortable gang.

Spamalot was crazy good. The actors hit every line. Did not expect to laugh that hard since I've seen the Holy Grail countless times. The dancing was incredible. The singing was on another level. Loved every second of it. Oh and the women... All of them absolutely gorgeous 😍

Beautiful theatre. I’m a tall guy, so the balcony seats are too tight for me, but the orchestra seats are comfortable and provide plenty of leg room.

Incredible theater. Very helpful staff made finding seats extra easy, and good flow for quick exiting after the show. Sound system was good, but occasionally the music overpowered the singers voices. Nice location with plenty of interesting businesses around to visit after the show. But parking can be challenging to find. Did not get anything from the refreshments or visit the amenities.
The Tom Patterson Theatre is a renowned performing arts venue located in Stratford, Ontario. It is part of the Stratford Festival and is known for its unique thrust stage design, which creates an intimate and immersive experience for the audience. The theatre hosts a variety of productions, including Shakespearean plays and contemporary works, attracting theater enthusiasts from around the world.

Gorgeous new theatre! The setting is stunning, on the river. The stage is intimate; not a bad seat. The food and beverage bar is spacious, also saw that pre-ordered refreshments were set up as soon as intermission began. I'll remember that for my next play. So happy that the Stratford Festival is back!

Gorgeous theatre. Set in a beautiful locale at the side of the river with swans, herons, and rowing teams on it. The theatre is all gleaming glass and bronze-coloured metalwork and is stunning. There is a large paid parking area and on-street parking available. Inside there is loads of space for the cafe, gift shop, and many seating areas (standing tables, seated tables, and soft settee areas), and includes an outdoor patio accessible from the cafe area. The bathrooms are large, accessible, and very clean and well-stocked with paper and free sanitary items. The theatre area is staffed by very helpful, friendly, and well-informed personnel. The theatre is such that there really is no such thing as a bad seat. There is a stage that projects out into the room which is surrounded on three sides by banked seating. The stairs are steep and have handrails on both sides, but, for those needing help with using stairs, the staff are quick to offer either a helping hand or access to an elevator that goes to the stage floor level.

The theatre has ample parking and is well located in town with a nice lobby, good range of snacks/drinks and lots of seating for pre-show and intermission, but we felt that it fell short in two areas. The theatre seats were very uncomfortable...firm bottom and back to the seats, very flat and a bit short on the seat back. As a 6'2" guy, my back was aching by the end of the show. The other was acoustics. I have been going to Stratford for years and found the actor's speech very muffled. They were seasoned actors so I doubt it was a projection issue, but other theatres by design tend to acoustically amplify the speech...everything just sounded dull and muffled to our whole group...made it that much harder to follow the story/plot.

Inside the building on a bright sunny day is enchanting. The lobby is large and U shaped giving the audience space. The cafe and dining area on the river side of the building could be from a fairy castle the transition from outside to inside feels so fluid. Stairs come in at the top - if you have trouble stepping down you will want the back row. The stage is in the same shape as the old building - thrust. Seats are much larger, velvet and firm. Bathrooms have a large number of stalls. There are bars on both sides of the lobby but the river side is also setup as a cafe.

It was my first time at the New Tom Patterson Theatre in Stratford. Saw the play Wedding Band. Fabulous, fabulous performance. I sure hope have an opportunity to see another play there again soon. The way the seating in house has been configured, you can see everything clear and without obstruction from the person in front of you. Cleverly designed! The thing that was different in this theatre was you could take your drinks in with you. Not sure if I like that as the potential of being spilled on could happen. But maybe not??

Oh...my...goodness--what an extraordinary metamorphosis! The new theatre retains the intimacy of old, so valued by those of us addicted to Shakespearan performances. Yet the new facility is expansive, connected to the physical location along the river, and world class in its physical beauty. The sound is extraordinary, the experience reclusive. Hariri could not have done better in a single detail...an extraordinary architectural execution to a difficult transitional objective. Perfect! Bravo! Thank you!

Beautiful night for a walk. Cowapolooza was very good. Lots of attendees. Biggest I've seen in Woodstock. Very well secured. Entertainment was well received. Best part was it was FREE

Nice park. Always full of kids easy for children to play with one another. Just watch out for that rolly slide as it has left marks on kids legs and looks like it could possibly pinch fingers. A lot of different activities for all ages even for the younger ones. Has a shaded picnic area with tables. Baseball diamond. Restroom area. Has a pond area as well and floral area with a mini rock water fall.

Beautiful park that sprawls over a large area of land. There are several sections to it that, at first glance don't seem connected but are! There is a large pond with many geese, a stream that branches off into quiet spaces with lots of grassy areas and trees, a park for children, a skate park, paved walking areas, pavilions for gatherings, gardens, and more.

"One Of A Kind Antiques & Collectibles" is a three-floor antique mall located in the former Harvey Woods garment factory. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable about the merchandise, with Bailey on the first floor being particularly helpful. Visitors are advised to take their time exploring as there are treasures around every corner, especially on the second floor where incredible deals can be found at booths 987. It's recommended to visit on a cool day and be prepared to spend hours browsing through the unique finds.
We just found out about this place. They weren't kidding when they claimed it's the world's largest antique market. It's absolutely huge! Wow! 3 full floors in a massive warehouse right packed with so many booths. Expect to spend a solid 3-4 hrs to browse through everything! Also, staff were super helpful, friendly, and very attentive. Definitely recommend you check this place out. It's worth the drive (we came from Guelph).

One of the biggest antique shops I have been to. Three floors worth of vintage products, comics, clothing, decor and collectibles. Can't really comment on the prices because that subjective to if you're going there to thrift or to get something unique or nostalgic. Definitely worth the drive.

An amazing hidden gem in Woodstock , Ontario . A short drive from Toronto , London Ontario and the USA border . From Pyrex , Jadeite , tin signs , Art glass or tea cups or toys . Even Sherman jewelry, This is my favourite booth our Booth #316 . The GooseberryGuys. Something for everyone

I love walking through this place. It's so nostalgic to see all the old toys and action figures I played with as a kid.
If you're a collector this is the place for you. Cards, figures, comics, records. They have it all.

Located in the former Harvey Woods garment factory, this three floor antique mall is amazing. There are treasures and amazing finds around every corner. The staff are very friendly and know the merchandise on their floors. Bailey, who works on the first floor, is incredibly friendly and will recommend a restaurant after shopping. On the second floor check out booths 987. Incredible deals abound from a well respected dealer who had his own store. Hints: summer shop only on a cool day. Take your time. You will be there for hours. If you see it, buy it. It might not be there when you return.

Best second hand store I've ever been to. So much selection, spent 2 hours on the first floor and only realized there's two more floors as I was leaving.
Inconsistent pricing, as you can find something for 15$ and then find the exact same thing on the other side of the store for 5$. I don't know if that's intentional but it made it a fun shopping experience, like a scavenger hunt. Definitely keeps customers in the store longer buying more. Will definitely be back.

Staff are nice. Eagerly let us know it’s the largest antique mall in Canada. Worth time to search if you like antique. Feb will be cheaper month according to staff. Open 7 days a week 10-5

I love this place you always find something unique here. We found a great cast iron pan with a glass lid AND the most perfect 1970s or maybe 1980s Colman Poly-Lite cooler, bright orange too. This place is huge. And has 3 floors to check out. I recommend starting from the top floor and making your way down.

Worth the trip from the city to spend hours browsing the many aisles and rooms of this antique mall! The variety of items is endless and it's such a fun time exploring through everything! The staff is friendly and helpful - their numbered bin system for holding your items is genius. I'll definitely be back!

Wow one of the most awesome places I have ever been. 3 stories each with 100s of the coolest booths filled with endless good finds. I could spend HOURS in here and I almost did. Very clean, very organized, and the staff are extremely helpful and friendly. This is a MUST stop in Woodstock!
I would never, ever have thought peanut butter goes on a burger, but this place makes it work! And Yep, it was a do over! Delicious, huge, fresh burger, amazing fries and while I would have loved it if they’d served 4 mozzarella sticks so we didn’t have to fight over the last one, all was good. Great brews, super Picard’s snacks to take home from the gift shop on the way out…a great place to ramble over to on your next road trip!

It's a good place to try brewed beer and food. Though beer is very costly and you may enjoy carrying on your own stock

This place is a one stop shop with beers to go and Picard's snacks and gift baskets. Food was awesome, especially pairing it with a 6 sampler beer flight.

Nice little surprise in the middle of nowhere. Great beer and decent food. After having a flight with my lunch I bought a bunch of my favourites in the store downstairs. Great motorcycle destination below the 403 if you ride that direction. But don't drink and ride!!

Excellent service. Sat out front on the patio. Had the chicken on a pretzel bun with fries special and was delicious. High Road beer was good too!
Peter L — Google review
It was ok. Frozen patties no big deal but lacking in juicy goodness. bbq is smokey but they don't mention that on the menu. I'm not big on smokey so I thought I would share that. Toppings were lacking in quality and quantity. The gravy was a huge disappointment because they add beer to it, and not a little bit... a lot! it literally tastes like you are dipping your fries in beer. Was really looking forward to the fries and gravy. Service was good. Didn't try the beer, there was enough in the gravy.

My local, love the staff, beers and food. This is a hidden gem and so worth the visit, they have monthly specials, my go to is the Blue Burger and onion rings, the beer is subjective but I have not had a bad beer, I like them all. Great place to visit on Motorbikes.

Great experience even tho we met them last minute and reservation was a bit late. Jo and Yvonne have been very patient with us. The food was amazing, the place and set up was exceptional, service was great too. Our guests loved everything. Our small gathering post wedding because of your family was a success. My husband and I are very thankful. We will definitely visit again when we’re back in Canada.

Not a good guest experience today folks. I have been in the business of guest experience my entire life and I have to honestly say they need some training in this department. The host/greeter is not overly friendly or warm. Did not feel welcome. The restaurant is not open to indoor dining (very strange)and we were seated in a grassy area where we were harassed and bitten by flies. We also could not hear the music from that area of the property . The menu is lame. Beef stew being offered in August is not appealing. Not many appetizers offered. It was a really strange menu. I ordered the shrimp appetizer for $16 and it was cooked fine just very watery with no flavour and not unshelled. The rice or pasta with vegetables was pricey and then adding a protein turned it into a $27 dish. Again, with a better guest experience, price can be overlooked as I pay for experience not just the food cost. They have an amazing property and building that they could do so much more with, it’s a shame. I’d love to offer my advice free of charge as I feel they need a lot of help. This is my second time attending this restaurant so pretty sure I won’t be back and won’t be recommending. I was so hopeful the second visit today would be grand. It wasn’t.

A lovely place in beautiful surroundings. The pizza was excellent and they had a fine selection of Belgian style beers. The beer garden at the back is a lovely place to spend a summer evening

This place is amazing...lots of different food options from the Netherlands, but the best thing I've had so far was the Pizza. It was definitely the best Pizza I've had in all of Canada.
Aside from that the service was nice, friendly and very attentive. The atmosphere is incredible and brings you back to school days. The drink options are great and I couldn't ask for more.
Love this place!

Never thought I’d be leaving a negative review of one of my favourite breweries, but unfortunately New Limburg has declined severely in the past few years. A very unique brewery seemingly in the middle of nowhere, New Limburg used to host movie nights, video game nights and live entertainment. Now none of that exists. The beer has taken a sharp decline since the old brewmaster left, and the food; while very good and super unique, has skyrocketed in price. Add to the fact that now just to even experience the old classroom vibes of the former Nixon school will cost you 8.50 just to sit in the taproom (which isn’t advertised anywhere so be prepared) otherwise be relegated to the hallway with only snacks. I understand staffing is a major issue for them, but it just seems like they’ve given up trying. For what once was a very successful operation, it’s now turned into a shell of itself. I sincerely hope they can turn things around and go back to what they used to be: a great brewery with superb atmosphere, a passion for Belgian beers and incomparable food. Take notes from breweries in the area, make the people want to come, don’t be an afterthought.

Last night we decided to take a drive out to New Limberg Brewing Company for a drink and something to eat. This place is in an old school house seemingly in the middle of nowhere between Simcoe and Delhi. As you walk in you enter an empty area with tables in it. You continue walking to the left where you are then greeted by the friendly staff. So I will be 100% transparent with you about the next part which is also the reason for a 3 star atmosphere rating. So the staff asked us if we were there for beer or if we wished to dine in. Of course we said we were looking to dine in. I was completely thrown off by the fact that there is a seating fee of $8.50 per person. The reason on the menu was to give the best experience. I have never ever come across a seating fee before. We reluctantly agreed to the seating fee and were then seated. It was a way fancier dining experience than I was expecting also and I felt a little under dressed. The ambiance was warm, cozy and a little upscale. The food (which was the reason we went) is inspired by dutch and Indonesian culture. There were staples of dutch fare like croquettes, bitterballen, and of course raw herring with onions. There was also of course a range of french fry options including toppings like mayo, curry and peanut sauce. They also have really good pizza options as well if you aren't feeling adventurous. The boy had a dutch meat pie which was a lot like a shepherd's pie but with curry spices. I opted for the greek pizza which was absolutely delicious. The dough is probably one of the best I have ever had. If you aren't into the seating fee and just want to try the beer. You can sit in the hall (much like being punished at school as a kid haha) and enjoy a flight from a table out there. I tried the Belgian Blond, Petit Blond,Wit and Grisette and enjoyed them all very much. All in all we had a really nice time. So if you are looking for a bit of adventure and to try something new THIS is the place to go.

Great spot!!! Interesting & unusual craft beers, served as flights of samples or full glasses of the one you like best. No full meal menu, but an amazing selection of snack foods, prepared to order. The bruschetta is brilliant (and generous enough for our group of four), and the sausage rolls is definitely TOO GOOD to share!!!

Amazing food quality, beer selection and atmosphere. All five stars. Had the bitterballen, spring rolls and baked Brie as apps and Nasi Goreng as a main one day then went back the same weekend for chicken wings and pizza. So good we went twice in one weekend. Thank you!

We went for a ride on the rail trail and stopped here for some beer. The beer was awesome! Loved the Quad and the food was delicious! The pizza was amazing and the fries were awesome! Dec. 2019, saw Sleeping Beauty with our 6 year old grandchildren. Huge cast, great costumes and a lot of fun. A Panto so they could boo the bad guy, etc. A bit thin on plot but tons of songs and dancing. They loved it.
2017: We took our 4 year old triplet grandchildren to see The Little Mermaid on Wednesday. wow. Fabulous costumes..a cast of about 30 ... great music...The kids asked if they could see it again. (no, but it confirms they loved the performance)
Not a huge theatre in St. Jacobs so there are no bad seats.
If this were in Toronto, tickets would cost $125 to 200. Drayton Entertainment is so much more affordable. They don't have many events for children but the performances for adults are usually worth four stars, in our opinion. Always good value in any event.

We had such a great time seeing Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat here. Very small venue which means no matter where your seats are, you will have a great view. We were very close to the front and the dancers were waving and gesturing at my daughter. It really made her first experience at a live play exceptional.

This cozy theatre is the perfect size. The parking lot is large and surrounds the building. The lobby can accommodate most of the guests and features a bar for both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
The seats are only a few stairs down from the lobby. Volunteers help you locate your seats, which are comfortable and wider than most. There isn't a bad seat in the house, and the sound system is perfect. The tickets are always reasonably priced and a good value for the quality of the performances.
Next door to the theatee is a very good, reasonably priced restaurant. There is a hotel on the other side and lots of shops within walking distance.

This is the first time I visited this playhouse and watched the "Joseph & the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat " performance. The theatre is not too big, seats are comfortable . The whole production is an unexpectedly high standard show. The singing, dancing, light & sound & backdrop are all 1st grade level. A great experience. Will go and watch some other shows in the future.

The auditorium was perfectly sized for the performances. The feeling is intimate and there is not a bad seat in the house. There is local beers and wines available and they are permitted into the auditorium during performances. (*At least they were during the Panto which we watched.*)

Third year attending. For a small town theatre the Peter Pan pantomime kept the Grandchildren entertained. Some of the same actors, similar "adult humor" gender/political etc. One noticeable difference is how during the performance they marketed ice cream available during intermission. My personal preference is that they would reconsider this sales pitch! Will likely go again next year.
Waterloo Central Railway, located at Farmers Market Platform, offers scheduled rides on historic steam-locomotive trains and features a museum showcasing vintage cars and engines. The slow ride from St Jacob's to Elmira and back takes approximately 1.5 hours on the train plus a suggested 20-minute pre-departure time for a total of 2 hours.
The ride was smooth, we purchased tickets online. The staff is all volunteers and very nice. They even let us move to 1st class for part of the trip and enjoy the cozy couches. The path was so beautiful both ways to and from Elmira. Highly recommend.

The ride was super slow (10 km/ hour) and boring
We just saw trees, grass, broken train, and a river for and hour and a half. It’s not worth it, even the market farm was closed (although it was weekend)

I recently had the privilege of taking the Christmas Train by Waterloo Central Railway and it was an unforgettable experience. The train was beautifully decorated with lights, garlands, and festive decorations that immediately put me in the holiday spirit.
The ride itself was delightful, with carolers singing classic Christmas songs, and hot cocoa and cookies available for purchase. The scenery along the route was breathtaking, with snow-covered trees and twinkling lights creating a truly magical atmosphere.
The staff was top-notch, always friendly and accommodating, and they went above and beyond to make sure everyone was comfortable and enjoying themselves. They made a special effort to interact with the children on board, adding to the festive atmosphere and ensuring that everyone had a memorable experience.
In addition to the train ride, we could participate in a variety of other holiday-themed activities. This was the perfect way to get into the holiday spirit and it was a treat for children and adults alike.
It was a magical experience that I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a fun and festive way to get into the holiday spirit. Whether you're a train enthusiast, a family looking for a special holiday outing, or simply someone who loves the holiday season, the Christmas Train is sure to bring a smile to your face and a warm feeling to your heart.

Amazing! A must for family bucket list. Went on the Thanksgiving steam special. It's an enjoyable experience for all ages. The train staff were so friendly and they really make the experience that much more enjoyable. The tickets you purchase go towards keeping these events going and the trains in working order. The staff are all volunteers! Worth every penny!

It's really about being more entertaining inside. For example, the tour guide visits every car instead of using the speakers with the microphone and we couldn't even hear him then. The sight is just the river and the rest is nature if you love nature. They should have better music, serve tea or coffee, dress like old-fashioned at least this way you get your money worth. Other than that, if you never took the train and you want to contribute to the Waterloo train station, then get on board.

Little pricey for adults when it's all about the kids but my daughter had soo much fun (she's 3), that it was well worth it. Staff were super friendly and made her feel so special. Went there with the grandkids. Great wild west experience via an older type model working historic railway that works! Ride is slow from St Jacob's to Elmira and back. Probably 1.5 hrs on the train, 2hrs total including the suggested 20 min for the pre-departure. Complete with galloping horses and riders with cowboy hats and csl guns. Great for kids 4-10. I've usually considered Waterloo Park to be one of the better parks in the region. With the recent renovations by the lake it remains near the top. The boardwalks and small "sand" beach (not swimmable) provide a nice location to walk through and explore. There are bike/walking lanes, it's the ION station and not too far from several locations to grab a bite to eat.
This place was a wonderful find! Abundant fields of lavender (French & English) as well as vineyards you can stroll through. Flight tasting is not available but you can try out a glass of their wines or ciders. Cherry bomb is fantastically refreshing and delightful. Lavender tea & lemonade are other options. You can also cut your own lavender.

Put a visit or stay on your to do list. Make sure the boutique is open the products are numerous and make excellent gifts. We will be back!!!

It is a very nice and peaceful place to go. Great experience and amazing place to visit.
Absolutely a must if you want to take memorable pictures. ( being able to take pictures of bees and beautiful butterflies). There is a little shop with lavender products, with ice-cream (lavender flavor), candles, etc... there is a cheese board that can be bought to accompany the delicious ice wine.

I don’t have enough words to express how much I enjoyed my time here! Great wines, fabulous service, gorgeous grounds, and more. I will definitely be back for wine purchasing and scenic sips!

This place was absolute heaven! Our family spent the afternoon enjoying a lovely picnic (we brought out our own food and paid a picnic fee which was reasonable) and paired it with lavendar wine, lavendar lemonade and even blueberry and lavender jam. The shop was cute and had so much to choose from (food, bath and body, desserts, wine, cider, etc) The walk around the estate was peaceful and we got some great photos! We came to an agreement that we are making this a summer family tradition! Thank you so much Bonnieheath, see you next summer 💜

Second time visiting here. Lovely wine, outstanding service. Make sure you meet the 11 year old that "hangs around" there. I think his name is Caleb and he is the most serious, wonderful, polite and educated young man ever. He is so knowledgeable and helpful.
The wine is delish
My fave is Le Crescent! We also got some lavander from the field. It was nice and a bit hot but the wine and the lavender lemonade help.
Met the owner of the airbnb and had a nice chat w this lovely lady.
Coming back.for sure. Highly recommend this! Did not take pics of the little store or the inside!!

Beautiful spot!! Cherry cider was so good! Nice you can grab a drink and wander the estate or sit in the gazebo! Would be gorgeous when the lavenders are in bloom! They circle the property perfectly

Stayed at the farmhouse on the property for 2 nights during Taste of the Vineyard with friends.
The house is lovely, the porch swing was the perfect spot for our morning coffee.
Loved the assortment of Bonnieheath products available to try - both the grape and the apple jelly with lavender were delicious.
The first morning I started with a walk around the vineyard.
It is so quiet and peaceful here!
I loved seeing the Tallgrass prairie and how much space they made for it. Saw so many native bees and wasps along with bird species that thrive in this ecosystem. Good mix of native wildflowers as well, and barely any invasives which is so hard to do these days because they are everywhere.
Such a well managed space to enjoy along with the cultivated species. A really nice approach to land management.
We all love the grapes and the lavender but Bonnieheath also makes room for the species that support and protect cultivated species while providing habits, nesting sites & resources and food sources for the plants, animals, insects, birds etc that belong here!
They carved out niches along the walk for whimsy, a Volkswagen Beetle here, the Lady of the Woods overseeing a forest glen with trickling water.
I never made it to the Labrinth but my friend found it and enjoyed it very much.
So many well thought out and maintained wetland spaces as well. The owners have a beautiful relationship with their earth, true stewards and I really appreciated that soft hand on the land wherever you went.
Being able to see the grapes ripening was wonderful. The colors of the Frontenac Gris are incredible.
We did the Taste of the Vineyard tour where you get a sample of the wine and a map and get to go out to where the vines are growing to see where your wine came from. Tasting the grape and then seeing how it translated into the wine was fascinating and I wish we could have spoken to the Vintner to get their perspective on the aroma and flavor. Next time.
After that we took Don't Count Your Chickens out into

The lavender fields & vineries are maintained really well. We visited this place on a Saturday, there were some artsy stalls or local vendors which was nice. They don't charge an entrance fee. But stop by their store to grab some good wine & ciders. They have a lovely collection plus they do wine tastings as well (:

My husband and I stayed at the Farmhouse at Bonnieheath in June of 2023 and had a wonderful time. The newly restored Farmhouse is filled with the charms of antiquity and has stayed true to it’s original character, but has all of the comforts of a modern lodging. Every room has been thoughtfully designed, and you can see the lavender farm and vineyard right from the window in your room. The hosts are caring, courteous and devoted to making sure you have the best stay possible, and it was so magical the walk the grounds after hours and have the place to ourselves. We partially enjoyed the covered porch swing and wandering over to the shop to try a glass of wine as we strolled the vineyard. Definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to getaway from the hustle and bustle! You won’t regret it!

Such a lovely and welcoming place. We caught the French lavender just in time and had an opportunity to walk through the vineyard.
There are lots of spots to sit, sip, chat, and enjoy. The wine and cider were delicious too! They have a build your own charcuterie option. The shop is really lovely and full of amazing gifts and lavender products.
They now have a variety of packages available if you want to do something special like a decadent lunch set up.

The Bell Homestead National Historic Site is a historic home in which inventor Alexander Graham Bell first invented the telephone. The site features exhibits about Bell's life and his groundbreaking invention, which has since evolved into a computer in our pockets.
Amazing place! Would be a great experience for the kids to gain perspective of how life was in those years.
The host Addison was great. Answered questions patiently.

One of the must see spots in Brantford!!!
As a child in school, when I used to hear that Alexander Graham Bell invented the telephone, I was always fascinated to learn more about him. This trip was the answer to my desire for that.
The Bell house has been maintained really well. There is a guided tour and it is advisable to book prior to going there, since they take only few people at a time. There is a small entrance fees, but I was able to visit free since I used canoo app.
The guided tour was one of the best tours I have ever attended. There is a small video show prior to the tour and also a souvenir shop. They also have a small cafe with a mini menu.
Now about the tour...
The tour starts with the explanation of the Bell family s story of migration from Scotland to Canada. They take through the house which has been maintained amazingly well. The art work of Bells mother is simply great.
The house gives you an insight of an upper middle class family back in the day. From the visitors room to kitchen to bedroom all have amazing stories to tell.
The equipments in the house are also fascination. They have olden day washing machine, stove, etc. They also explain the functioning of everything.
They also have set up in the nearby house in the compound with a small mini telephone exchange to see how the telephones worked back during the day.
We also bought a small olden telephone as a memory.
Truly worth the money and time.

This is a must see when going to Brantford. A visit to this museum ... the house where Alexander Graham Bell invented the telephone is certainly worth the trip. How the telephone came to be is truly educational and fascinating. We also learned so much more about the man and his family. Sarah who gave us a tour of the place is amazing with the historical facts and did an excellent job. There is also a small gift shop to buy some souvenirs.

Our guide was a university student and the best guide/docent we have ever had ANYWHERE. He was knowledgeable, dressed in period costume, patient, and held objects for ideal photo opportunities. Tours are highly worth it. Prepare to spend 2.5-3.5 hours in total. Check the website to ensure you arrive at tour times and check that there's enough space for your group.

Unfortunately we visited during the weekend but still it is worth it though we saw it only from outside. It has a museum, Alexander Graham Bell's parents house from where he invented telephone and neighbor's house where fist telephone office in Canada was started.

The Bell Homestead National Historic Site is truly a gem that delves into the life, works, and inventions of Alexander Graham Bell. With an engaging and informative guided tour that transports you to the era of Bell's brilliant mind, this experience is both eye-opening and enlightening. The knowledgeable guides help to weave a captivating narrative that brings history to life. For history enthusiasts, and those keen to appreciate the finer details of Bell's remarkable accomplishments, the Bell Homestead visit is an unmissable and highly recommended opportunity.

Want to know more about the history of telephone development in Canada? This historic site is not to miss.
On our way to Paris, Ontario, we visited the Bell Homestead National Historic Site at Brantford, where Bell and his family lived. Here is where Bell invented the telephone a few years after Canada was formed.
If possible, spend time to join the tour, or if not, just enjoy walking leisurely in the garden and imagine yourself as Bell.
Later, we visited the city of Paris, and we found a plaque on Grand River Street N. telling this is a site where Bell received his first long-distance call from Brantford. Amazing!

This place is a must visit to those who love history. I loved every bit of my time spent here. While I was taking look at each invention of Sir Graham Bell, it took me back to thoughts of them old days when the world & technology was yet to evolve.
You will be able to take a guided tour inside Sir Bell’s house ($20), the guide will tell you every details of the items kept there & there also will be screen of a short documentary. There also a cafe next to the house where you can enjoy some great snack & coffee.
The grand River flows by the house, there are corn fields on the front. There’s a lot of love elements aswell like a swing, chair that Mr&Mrs Bell would spend.
The best time to visit this place will be summer or fall. A pre booking for a guided tour should be done as it’s timed & available at specific time of day with limited people.
It’s a good place to take children along coz it’s going to fascinate them more & show how far we’ve all come in this evolving technology.

I've gone there before ages ago and it was interesting. But the tour we took today was really informative. Jillian did her absolute best to answer our questions and made sure to include my 9 year old into the experience. The ticket prices are reasonable ($10 adult, less for seniors and kids). The tour took a bit over an hour, and it's limited to 8 people or less at a time, so it's a good feeling because you're not in a giant crowd.

The Hamilton Family Theatre Cambridge is a contemporary venue that accommodates up to 500 people. It features state-of-the-art facilities and offers a variety of live performances, including musicals, plays, and live bands. The sound quality is exceptional, with live musicians and vocalists executing professional acts on stage. Additionally, the theater offers snacks and drinks during intermission which you can bring back to your seat for added convenience.
A lovely theatre. Easy to get there by car and lots of parking. Comfy seats and friendly staff. I recently spent a weekend as a backstage volunteer for a show that was renting the theater, as well as an audience member. Loved the experience from both sides of the stage. Staff were caring of the audience and enthusiastic and supportive of the performers.

Incredible performance. We saw, "FIDLER ON THE LOOSE ". Amazing multitalented group of folks. Singing, dancing, tap dancing, and lots of fiddle music.
I would highly recommend the production

It was wonderful watching the Jersey Boys. The staff were friendly and helpful as we had a bus load unloading all at once. I could watch the whole show as the seats are slanted, each row lower than the next one. The sound was sharp and clear. A bit of a wait for the washrooms but they were clean. The building is beautiful.

Facility is modern and well equipped. Seats were pretty comfortable, acoustics seem good, at least the sound seemed great. They permitted us to take intermission drinks back to our seats which was nice. The production we saw was live musicians and vocalists. The act was very professional and well executed. Great intimate venue to see a musical production, play or live band.

This was my first visit to the HFT. My children and I saw the Sound of Music which is a family favourite of ours. Great performances by all, especially Maria, the Captain and children. The group singing of the actresses playing nuns was especially moving as they sang so well together. The performance of Climb Every Mountain by the actress who played the Reverend Mother was especially wonderful. When she hit the high note at the end I got teary eyed. Intermission was a bit rushed due to washroom lineup. Lineup for refreshments was also long though we didn't partake. All seats in the theatre seem to have a good view of the stage. Theatre was clean. Staff were pleasant. Will definitely come again.

The show itself was excellent (kinky boots). The theater however was ice cold and you could feel A/C blowing on you. People had jackets on, many just froze. The rows of seating were so close together that average sized people could not get by each other. I'm 5'2 and had JUST enough room for my knees. They need to have ropes to organize the concession stand lines. There was a large line that divided the room in half, blocking access to the bathrooms for those on the opposite side.
Production was great.

Loved it ! Evita was absolutely flawless and a real delight to experience. We were in the balcony with a perfect view of the stage, dancing and wonderful singing from the lead actors and chorus. What a great adaptation of this play. Not even one mistake during the entire performance and not that we would likely notice anyway. Bravo to Drayton’s rendition of Evita !

Lovely theatre but not particularly disabled friendly: far too few handicapped parking spaces and if you use a rollator or wheelchair, seating is limited to the back rows or the side boxes - the main theater has steps down to the stage from the back rows.

Brought by kids and husband to experience Fidler on the Roof Dec 23rd. The volunteers that greeted us were warm, friendly and clearly happy to be there. 5 stars for that alone! The foyer was large and well lit with plenty of seating. We arrived early from out of town and were able to sit together while waiting. Getting seated in the theatre was quick and well orchestrated by the volunteers/staff. Sound quality throughout the show was perfect. We'll be happy to return in the future to catch another marvelous production!!

Beautiful facility but freezing cold in the middle of winter (December 10 2023) Even the two larger woman and man I was with were cold. As 90 percent of the audience looked to be over the age of 75 I don’t know if they did this to keep
Them awake but this is also the age group that needs to stay warm in addition to smaller people like myself who are also anemic and suffer from circulation issues. Thankfully I carry heat packs with me.
Overall , fiddler on the roof was an amazing show !

We went to this fantastic venue for the opening night of Jersey Boys. Great place to see a great show. Not a bad seat in the house!
Bonch Loomans — Google review
The theatre itself is a center for this community. It is well maintained and clean. We saw a "modernized" version of Jersey Boys. Although the music and story stay true to the Era, I was put off by some of the 'modern street language' used in the dialog. Maybe I am getting older, but looking around the audience, there was 90% grey, silver, and white hair.
I do not understand why the language has been changed the way it has.
Brian Dixon — Google review
Loved the theater. Not a bad seat in the house. The performers were excellent. The set was incredible. Only thing that was a minor issue was the second act seemed a little rushed. Still would recommend seeing The fiddler on the roof.

Saw Fiddler on the Roof. The show was great. Dancers were right on point and the singing was freaking awsome. The seats are dairly comfortable and the volunteer staff treat you like family. Parking is a bit tight do get there early and even walk for a couple of minutes to the theater.

This was our first experience at this theatre, and I can say that we highly recommend it! The theatre is beautiful, and the seats are very comfortable. My husband is 6 foot 8, and he was comfortable leg room wise! We watched the show Kinky Boots, and we were blown away! The set was fantastic, the band was great, and the company was so very talented! Twin Valley Zoo is a local favorite for animal-oriented family activities, with exhibits featuring lions, tigers, bears and more. The zoo is just the right size to see in its entirety in one day, making it perfect for busy families.
A great way to spend a few hours with your kids. We went for noon so a lot less people there. Lots of parking. Didn’t get to see all the animals since it was hot but the kids loved it. Can walk through the whole park in a couple hours. Washrooms couple be s bit cleaner as they smell but overall was a great time!

For a 20$ adult pass and 10$ kids this zoo offers a wide variety of animals. They have reasonably sized cages and they look well fed and taken care of. Good place to spend a day with kids and family

This is honestly a hidden gem in Brantford. We took our toddler with us and she had a blast! So many animals including wolfs, tigers, zebras, lions and bears which I have never seen that close up in my life! We spent 2 hours there but we could've easily made an entire day out of it. Such a nicely organized zoo! The only thing that was a concern was the fence that the bears were behind, it looked like the bears could easily climb over! Other than that we felt safe and it's all wheelchair and stroller accessible. We were pleasantly surprised at how the peacocks just roam around freely! Highly recommend!

First time today and we will definitely be back!! We arrived shortly after 11 and left around 1pm. Lots of parking which is free and admission is super reasonable.
When you first walk in, it seems a bit dingy and small. But looks are deceiving. It goes for about 28 acres and has a wide variety of animals. Many of which I have never been closer to even at larger zoos.
Zebras, lively Gibbons, friendly deer, lions, tigers and kangaroos are just some of the animals on display. They all look really well cared for and their enclosures are very well kept.
We went after their ‘spooky event’ and the haunted walk was a nice touch. The leaves were very pretty and made for a great day.
10/10 would recommend. They are open from April to end of October. The lady we spoke with on exit (daughter of the owner) let us know that they do season’s passes as well. We will definitely be back in the spring!!

I love this beautiful zoo. There is something so magical about it. The animals seem so happy, curious, active, and engaging; the grounds are so pretty and clean, and the staff is so kind and welcoming. The positive energy and love poured in by the keepers radiates throughout this place. You need to go and experience it for yourself. Thank you for making this place exist. Please keep doing what your staff is doing ❤

Love love love this place! We went here on Father's day and even though it was busy the staff was organized! The animals seemed happy and were moving around. Plus a good portion of the walking paths were shaded! The only reason why I'm giving it a 4 and not 5 is because some of the paths were difficult (not impossible) to have the stroller in. So if any improvement could be done it would be having paths that are a bit more wheel friendly. But we will definitely be back!

This is a much bigger zoo than I thought. Extensive walking is required and if you want a hike there are some long trails. The zoo is very clean and the animals appear happy and healthy. There are many signs that identify the animals and give interesting facts. Highly recommended.

We love coming here!! We came in September and, being a little cooler, the animals were way more active! The price is pretty good and it the perfect size zoo for 3-13 year olds. Enough to see and do without feeling overwhelmed by the size, and not so small you feel like you wasted your money! Free parking, decent gift shop and I hope they bring back the goat feeding because that was always fun too!! Highly recommended!
Adam Peters — Google review
We were disappointed with our first visit to this zoo. First impression was poor with the gift shop being nearly empty. No map was given and we were guessing where to walk. Poor signage. Animal exhibits were decent. We saw a few things we liked such as the gibbons. However we will not be rushing back as it was overall underwhelming. No food vendors either. Missing the key things that make an attraction like this worth while.

Visited the park today, really friendly, interactive staff who are to be commended. The animals seem generally well-looked after. A wide range of large and small animals including beautiful lions. A good size park which lots of space and is varied. You'll happily spend half a day at the park. There is a basic gift shop which has cold drinks and ice creams and stuffed toys. There is no other food or cartering, so bring food etc with you!!! There are lots of picnic tables throughout the park and opportunities to sit and watch the peacocks or animal enclosures. Enjoyed by a 3 year old up to an 83 year old. Overall decent value for money to see a family-owned zoo. Good stuff!
Rob Holton — Google review
Nice little wild animal zoo with zebras, lions, emus, roosters, monkeys, lizards, snakes, kangaroos, goats, macaws, bears, deer, and a bunch of other animals. We didn’t end up seeing the tigers, they didn’t seem to be out when we came through on a Father’s Day weekend morning. Took us about 1.5 hours to get through. Luscious green park with lots of willow trees.
They have certain days that are free for certain people (fathers are free on Father’s Day, mothers on Mother’s Day) and children 2 and under are free as well. Paid $20 cash for one adult to get in (2023 pricing).
There is limited parking but there was lots still around 930-10 when we arrived. Absolutely packed when leaving at 1130.
There is a little playground for kids in a sand pit about halfway through near the washrooms.
Lots of mosquitos in the lizard area.
Lots of signage for where certain animals are, but not really signage for exits or any maps throughout. There is a gift shop at the end.
Won’t be coming here again but it was nice to check out once on a discount day.

We had a lot of fun during our morning trip to the Brantford Twin Valley Zoo. To begin with the staff at the entrance were very kind and got us into the zoo quite quickly. Unlike other zoos we have been too there are animal right has you enter the zoo so your journey starts right away. We were surprised by the many different types of animals that we saw at the zoo and the park seemed to endlessly go on into the woods as we walked around. We felt that we defiantly got our moneys worth and that the tickets were quite reasonably priced. I would recommend the Twin Valley Zoo to anyone in the area.

Went on Sunday mid morning. The cost for 6 adults and 2 kids is $141. The parking is free and there is adequate space to park. The entrance to the zoo has a store with some cute little gifts and candy.
It is not a massive zoo, but right sized when walking around with kids. It took us about 90 minutes entry to exit with 10 minutes washroom break before exiting. Kids will enjoy walking around looking at the animals and learning about them. They have a separate reptile room with some snakes and others.
The washrooms are well maintained.

it wasn't terrible, but it was super hot when I went. a few of the larger enclosures didn't have a lot of areas with shade for the animals to get under. there was also a tiger enclosed in a small caged area with no shade. when I saw it, it was pacing back and forth. I assume it was stressed and also very hot. a good idea for these animals for when it's super hot would be to maybe get one of those plastic kiddie pools and fill it with water so they can cool down if they wish to. the day I went, it was well over 30 degrees at the time.

Great place to visit, price is reasonable and the animals appear to be well cared for. I definitely recommend getting there at 9am, the animals were livelier in the morning especially because it was 32C when we went. The playground is a fun shady break for the kids and the fry truck was delicious, lots of areas to stop and have a picnic as well. The kids loved the deer pen as the deer were extremely friendly. Can't really go wrong with a visit here! Enjoy!

Twin Valley Zoo is an incredible place where you can see many animals, including lions, tigers, zebras, goats, baboons, lemurs, black bears, porcupines, deer, grey fox, red fox, and so many more!
Very well kept, nice enclosures for the animals.
We had an amazing time laughing, taking pictures, running to see the animals. One of my grandsons brought a colouring book with animals and every time he saw an animal he would find it in his book and cross it off. ❤️👍🏻👏🏻

Christie Lake Conservation Area is a protected landscape that offers a range of outdoor activities. The park features scenic meadows and pine forests, as well as trails for hiking and cycling. Visitors can also enjoy fishing and boating on the lake, while unique options include disc golf and canoeing, kayaking or paddle boarding. With its beautiful natural setting on the Niagara Escarpment, Christie Lake Conservation Area provides ample opportunities for exploration in a serene environment.
We went for a winter hike on a Saturday in March and it was gorgeous. There was hardly anyone else around though I imagine it gets busy in the summer with the marina and beach. The hiking trails were very clearly marked and easy to follow. The washrooms are open in winter and pretty well maintained. I'm definitely going back this summer and fall.

This is one of my favorite disc golf courses I've played this year. It's challenging, bring your bright discs or eagle vision, the roughs are deep and it's hard to see the discs sometimes. There is a good mix of hard and medium hard holes, and a few open fields to unleash the distance drivers. They have leagues on the weekend , we got there just before 10 on Saturday and we're able to squeeze in before the league started , such a fun course , and the views are outstanding !

They have clean washroom facility, lots of area with benches to have a picnic or bbq, nice lake view along with lots of parking. The place is very beautiful to sit back & relax. You can easily spend a whole day here and it’s not very busy as compared to other conservation areas. Definitely coming back to explore more.

Barbecue is allowed in this park and it has a lot of space for outdoor activities! Close to the lake and it’s the third time we’re visiting this place, highly recommended!

One of our ultimate favorites. We always enjoy the tranquility and beauty of this wonderful place. The kids spend their time running and swimming. The openness of the area ensures we can relax even while watching the kids.

Christie Lake is a great picnic spot. It is small and does not allow motor boats, so it is perfect paddle sports, especially for beginners, yet big enough the experienced paddlers to enjoy a picturesque tour. There is a sandy beach with the snack shop right nearby.

Walk on the dam bridge or bike and then join the trails round the Cristy lake . Beautiful views . In summer you can enjoy the beach with your family
Other seasons the trails round the lake provide you beautiful views of nature

Christie Lake Conservation area is a serene and peaceful place to soak up nature. The trails are well marked and maintained. You can also try your hand at Disc Golf and have fun roaming around the lake while you play.
There is ample parking at the Beach store and Marina pavilion which is the closest spot to reach the dam. The McCoy pavilion is a good place to have a picnic with a view of the lake.
Christie Lake is a must visit destination if you are in the Dundas or Ancaster area.

The place was amazing, the beach was small but not crowded at all may be because there is a entry fee ( cost 45$ for our family of 6 as our youngest was free) . We spent 5-6 hrs , did bbq and kids had a blast. The best part was that it was wheelchair accessible through the shop. The only thing which I didn’t liked was the parking wasn’t beside beach. There is wheelchair parking and a drop off location near beach… the parking was at 5min walk.

Beautiful and scenic area, often quiet on regular day visits and open for water activities or to just sit by the lake side and take in the beautiful sights. It's totally worth multiple visits

A 40 min to an hour drive from Mississauga, depending on the traffic. Easily located beside the Hiway. They got a large area for picnic, corporate meeting, family gathering, etc. The convenient store needs a make-over. Toilets are clean. The lake is nice and the kids will enjoy it. There is a shared trail for hiking and mountain bike. Mountain bike trail is ok, good for enjoying the place, but it will make you sweat as well. Helmets are needed when going on the MTB trail. Parking is accessible nearby but can be a chore to go back and forth. Cul-de-sac is a bit small and could get crowded when you need to unload and reload your stuff.

Well maintained trail system, running around the lake. Lots of run off trails. Great for walking, horseback riding, biking, and exploring. They have bathrooms at certain points, throughout the conservation area, as well as picnic tables, and pavilions. Impressive dam you can walk over top of, and snap fantastic photos. Has inclines, dependant on which trail you take, so wear proper shoes, and pick up a walking stick off the forest floor.
