Balsam Lake Provincial Park is a forested recreational destination located within a 1:45 hours drive from Toronto, offering activities such as camping, boating, fishing, hiking and winter skiing. The area features beautiful sandy beaches that are perfect for families to enjoy. Visitors are advised to arrive early in order to make the most of the park's facilities. Although there is limited space for BBQs, beach umbrellas and chairs can be brought along or rented on-site if available.
I spent 5 days here with my wife and her parents. The dog beach here is really nice as well with no rocks. Our dog was able to enjoy the water as well! Our site was also very nice!
The only downside is the beach is so far away from the campsites. Not really a big deal though. That's why I still rated it at five Stars.

Very nice Beaches area especially for families within 1:45 hours of drive from Toronto. Neat and clean sandy beach.
Getting their early will help big time to enjoy the park. Relatively small areas for BBQ which gets filled up quick. Do bring beach umbrella and chairs.
You can also rent small pedal boats here if you get them within their scheduled times as these are rented fairly quickly.
Their portable washrooms are terrible though! 😑

Lake is beautiful, water is so clear. Went here for some hiking. Absolutely beautiful trails. Will come again and stay longer.

I do love coming to Balsam. My partner and I have been coming annually for years. I do recommend camping during the week though. The park has become very popular and can get pretty loud at night when it's busy. My experiences here have been mostly positive. The park staff is great. Unfortunately during our last visit we had to pick up a lot of garbage left at our site. Plastic wrappers, elastics bands, can tabs, and paper waste. This isn't the park's fault, it was obviously the people using the site before us. This won't stop us from returning but I do wish some campers would be more courteous and attentive to their waste.

The true North experience! Great for families with picnic areas, playgrounds and beaches ( unsupervised). Sprawling park with forested trails, designated dog beach and boat launch area. Small but efficient park store and limited food/camping items. The beach area is small and alternating sand & patches of grass/ shrubs. Quite rocky base & shoreline but further out dense seaweed so may decide for water shoes. It’s definitely a family park and noted several runners & cyclists but if you prefer the quiet, raw beauty of provincial parks this one may disappoint. Ample parking with facilities and quaint educational centre for families & kids.
Camping areas looked generous and remote from the hustle & bustle of the main beach & playground. If you’re into beach volleyball, complete area designated with net & picnic tables for enjoying, just bring your volleyball & you’re ready to play! Enjoy!

Great park for camping. Clean washrooms and comfort stations. Campsites are close to eachother and sometimes that might bother you. Beach and picnic areas get super busy on weekends with lots and lots of people, super crowded. But beach is really great and water is nice and clean. Hiking trails are beautiful and scenic especially the Lookout Trail. Visit the park on week days to avoid rush and crowd.

My friend and I camped here on Thanksgiving weekend and it was wonderful! The leaves during this time of year are gorgeous and we had such a good time sightseeing inches paths and trails. Staff at the check in desk and the park rangers were friendly and helpful. Finding your way around the park is easy as all roadways and paths are clearly marked.
We had a great time and were very comfortable. Water taps, toilets and garbage bins are conveniently placed so you never have to travel too far, especially in the dark. Highly recommend visiting here and we're planning on camping here again in the spring.
Haylee Flight — Google review
We had a great day!
However, there are extremely stinky washrooms by parking lot 1. Just don't walk near them.
Paulette Andrade — Google review
Went camping over the weekend summer time! It was our kids first time camping. Great experience to get together with family. Stayed in the group camp site.
Pros: Have a huge space for everyone to use and enough space for parking as well. Lots of tables for more than 20 people. Have one bonfire area but need to buy woods from here. Lake was clear and safe for swimming. There's a kids park, Volleyball and shower area. Free to borrow fishing rod. The sky is full of beautiful stars during the night! Pet friendly! So much activities to do but couldn't try everything. We will definitely go back again.
Cons: Washrooms on our campsite seems like it was never cleaned. I might be wrong but it stinks alot so we had to drive a few minutes to a better public washroom.
Always bring toilet paper or wipes with you when going to public washroom because they always run out of toilet paper. It's always better to be ready 😅. Also, don't forget there is a ton of mosquitoes out there during the night and even early morning so bring bug spray or cover yourself with bug suit! 😆

Balsam Lake has been a family favorite for my entire life.
It has one of the most beautiful provincial park beaches I've been to.
The sites are always clean and well maintained.
There is a small but entertaining play structure located just behind the beach and wuite a few washrooms that are, for the most part, always clean.
There are 3 hiking paths to enjoy, and they are all amazing. The lookout loop is probably our favorite. We have walked and run it hundreds of times. There's always plenty to see.
My only wish is that they would make the dog beach a bit nicer. Its small and seems like an afterthought, which is a shame because who doesn't want to take their pup to the beach?

Had a great time at Balsam Lake. It was my first time being there and it did not disappoint. I used to camp regularly when I was younger but I got older and life got in the way. So when the wife suggested we go camping this year because of the pandemic I was in. As we aren't as young as we used we decided to rent a trailer from Canadream.
We got to the park and finding our site was easy because everything was well marked. We booked a lakeside site with power but our only complaint was the power pole was about 30 to 40' away and our camper's cord wasn't long enough. Luckily we thought to bring an extension cord or we would've been in trouble. (The power box is between two sites and it was right on our neighbour's site and we had to go through the trees to get to it.)
Other than that little complaint everything else was awesome. Park staff were helpful, very welcoming and the park itself was beautiful. There were lots of trails to walk on and I saw plenty of people fishing. It also was a peaceful camp, there were no loud parties or music being played at excessive volumes. It's also a dog friendly park with lots of people, us included, that brought their pet. Everyone kept their dogs under control and there was no excessive barking at any time.
All in all we had an excellent time and would return.

This provincial park is located in some beautiful country. The park covers a big area, and is very well designed, with lots of one way roads. Campsites are spacious and clean, with tons of shade, affording more privacy than you'd expect. Very large beach area, with a separate boat launch and docking. Great for swimming, paddling, fishing. Great spot to get your camp on!
Derek Brown — Google review
Very pleasant experience... even with a little drizzle, can't beat the outdoors, though It would have been better if it was otherwise so to take a swim in the lake's clear water.....
jojo Toronto — Google review
No privacy and our site turned to a complete mud pit in the rain. Like sink into the ground, lose your shoes mud If you have young kids then it's the place for you. If you don't... avoid at all costs! Great boat launch, lots of room and you can leave it in, first come first serve. A little shallow for larger boats.

Really enjoyed the trails at Balsam Lake Provincial Park! Completed the full trail network and thoroughly enjoyed it all!
Summer Mckay — Google review
Camping here this Labor Day. Very spacious sites with none privacy. The beach is not very clean but the water is clear. Only 2 of 5 bathrooms function, and I believe their heat water tank need some maintenance work, because you need to wait a few minutes to get warm water and it’ll back to ice-cold water all the sudden. So, be ready for it.

Beautiful camping grounds, very clean. Rangers come around often to maintain a safe and happy environment for all which was really appreciated. Main washrooms were kept very clean. Overall a wonderful weekend camping here
Jessica Terry — Google review
We stayed at the Fir campground, which was going well until night-time. Then there was noise like if we were being invaded by the March of the drunkards. Someone blaring their car horn in rhythm, boisterous laughter, fighting, flash lights aimed at the tent.. The drama went on for a while. I wish the park rangers made drive bys at night like they did during the day. Besides that, washrooms were clean, the beach was nice and we enjoyed the hiking. The kids loved the playground at the beach. Pretty dog-friendly. Bring your bikes!

Balsam Lake is by far the most quintessential provincial Park I ever visited in ON. It has lots of activities to get campers emerged in to enjoy. Campers can go birdwatching, swimming, kayaking, boating, hiking and fishing. This park is where you can find the rare bird specie called the loggerhead shrike, a tiny bird that impales its prey on thorns.
I didnt give the park a 5 yet bec the toilet esp the men's weren't really kept clean altho the shower units are all great.
Vivien Del Mundo — Google review
We had a great time. The weather didn't really cooperate (heavy rain the first night and bitter cold the second), but it didn't dampen our spirits. There are lots of hiking trails, and the park is exceptionally well maintained. The only two disappointments were that the Lookout doesn't have much of a view, and the park store wasn't open, so it was a bit of a walk to get the kids treats.

Lake Muskoka, situated in the famous Muskoka Region of Canada's cottage country, is a stunning lake surrounded by towering white and red pine trees and granite shorelines. The area is dotted with islands and boasts many leisure activities such as fishing and boating. The shoreline is filled with magnificent cottages and boathouses making it a popular destination for the rich and famous during summer.
Grew up on this lake. Too bad we got pushed out by the rich... so my kids will never know summer lake living.
Christopher Hughes — Google review
Lake Muskoka is excellent for watersports and boating given its large size. There are many cottages on the shores of Lake Muskoka as it was the first lake to be developed. It is a popular lake among families as there are a lot of summer activities including sailing camps, golf lessons, Santa’s Village, hiking, beaches and parks. This lake has many scenic islands, and you can often find the steamships cruising at sunset. We love Lake Muskoka for it’s location close to amenities and beautiful scenery.

The most beautiful lake in Bracebridge & Gravenhurst. A lot of different kinds of birds with some great fishing spots as well!
Simon Polan-Couillard — Google review
Lake Muskoka is crazy busy. It is a lovely body of fresh water surrounded by cottages and not a lot of wildlife.
Daniel Hefford — Google review
Best vacation destination. You can come here year round (provided you have the equipment) and fun will be had. Lots of fish and the water is great. It is often quite warm and great for any water activity. You can boat to so many places on the lake (gravenhurst for example) and go shopping or eat something. Rent a cottage here and see for yourself!
Stephen — Google review
You are allowed to participate in many water activities in this huge body of freshwater. Some things you can do are boating, fishing, kayaking, canoeing, water skiing and swimming as well as other activities I am unaware of. Many people own cottages on the lake and wherever you go you are sure to be in awe of the pristine landscape, plentiful wildlife and clean water. Absolutely a place to take in the most beautiful water scenery on the vast Lake Muskoka. This lake is also VERY deep in some places and typically has a rocky shoreline where Forest often meets and even hangs over the water or a rock cliff juts straight up from the water. A sandy and weed free beach is a very rare thing on Lake Muskoka, but they do exist, most are man made/maintained. Due to the sheer size of the lake it takes a long time to freeze solid in the winter so ice fishing can be a dangerous sport if you are not versed in the matter. As well, the wind also will pick up very quickly on the water/ice again because of its size. Lake Muskoka can be a dangerous place but its beauty is beyond words.
Kristine Colson — Google review
Lake Muskoka is a beautiful large lake with lots of opportunities for adventure and relaxation. Large boats and small can share the water and not interfere with each other. Numerous bays, islands, inlets, and rocky shoreline with tree filled surroundings make it one of the best lakes around.

Refined suites, plus live music, a casino, multiple dining options, a rooftop patio & a spa.
My girlfriend and I were looking for a quick getaway, something we haven't done before, so we tried Casino Rama had a wonderful time! . We booked a room, had dinner there along with some gambling. The hotel was fantastic, friendly staff and a great room. Clean and very spacious, could not have asked for more. The Casino and the restaurant, Yard House, were also great. Again, very friendly staff with some really good food....we had dinner around 7, then went back for a late dessert around 11! Gambling was a wash, which I guess could be considered a good thing! Lots of slots and several table games depending on what you 're into.
We had such a great time we're planning on booking another visit!

Since Covid, the Casino's parking lots are quite bare, but they still have amazing staff, food, and entertainment. It is also just super beautiful. Most of the decor has special cultural meaning to it. It is all very interesting and really great when it is explained. Sadly, from where it was, it is evident everywhere that there have been substantial budget cuts. I miss the light show in the rotunda among other things. It explained a lot of the decor and the cultural significance. But if you haven't been to the Casino before, you won't notice the difference. It will still be enjoyable. I haven't stayed in a room in a while, but when I did, it was always very clean, and nice. I doubt their degree of cleanliness has decreased. I'm thinking of staying soon though as I hear they have package deals. I will let you know how it was! :)

I've seen a lot of concerts at Rama over the years. Everything is always great. The staff are polite and helpful, the sound quality is good and no seat has an obstructed view.
Always go to the casino after for a bit. Same thing..clean, lovely staff. Definitely worth visiting.

I really enjoyed my stay at Casino Rama Resort. From the service, common areas, rooms and restaurants, the experience was a positive one. The Casino Rama resort was beautiful. The lobby and hallways were nicely appointed, with stonework, beautiful carpeting, and unique Indigenous touches. The resort was all decked out in tasteful decorations for the upcoming Christmas season, and looked festive, yet elegant. The room was large, and clean with a sitting area, patio, electric fireplace, and two double beds that were very comfortable. The bathroom was huge, and luxurious. Everything was spotless. The only reason I’m not giving the room 5 stars is because the furniture is dated, and much of it needs to be replaced. However, it was still clean and functional. Also, the casino and resort were shutdown for about 2 years due to the pandemic, so I’m sure that has impacted their finances, and it will take some time to refurbish the rooms. I enjoyed the pool, hot tub and steam room. The steam rooms are in the gendered change rooms, so a male and female staying there would not be able to sit in the steam room together, but I was not impacted by this. I did not use the sauna, but my friend enjoyed it. The service throughout was top notch, including the casino and restaurants, however I found the buffet to be quite overpriced. The pub, and the breakfast place were good, and reasonably priced for a casino.
I would definitely recommend staying at the Casino Rama resort.

Went to see a show (vampire circus for Halloween). Show was great.
Seating was on regular chairs on the floor level. It looked like there were movie theatre style seats a little further back. Seats were a little tight together (I'm disabled and need extra space for crutches). Larger people may find it a bit snug.
Screens on either side of the stage were helpful as I'm on the short side. I'm sure they were useful to those further back who may have needed a better view.
The staff were friendly and helpful.
I didn't eat or drink while I was there, so I can't comment on those aspects.
We stopped in at the casino after the show. It was what you would expect; loud, bright and nicely appointed. Mostly slot machines, but a decent selection of card/table games.

One of the best places you can see entertainment! Every seat is decent and big screens to see too. Sound is fantastic and performances are punctual. You can see people for reasonable prices and don't have to go to Toronto.

First time to Casino Rama. I was impressed. Beautiful, large, and very clean facilities. Exceptional customer service. Was there for a concert. The auditoriam was amazing. Great seating, comfortable with plenty of leg space and excellent views. 3 large jumbo screens to see performers up close from the back. The picture on the screens was very clear. Amazing sound, crisp/clear. Friendly and polite staff. I did not stay, so that's why I did not review the rooms. Judging by everything else, I don't doubt staying in the rooms would have been a great experience as well. Will definitely come back to try the various restaurants and experience other events.

My husband and I went for a well deserved night away to Casino Rama. Check in was fast and easy. Room was awesome. Very very impressed with how spacious it was. Great food and some fun gambling. Walking distance within the building which was so convenient. Already planning our next visit in a few months.

Check in was good, woman and the front desk was very helpful and pleasant to deal with.
Room 910 was clean and and very spacious.
Did a little gambling roulette/slots. We actually won some money and the staff in the casino were amazing and always there to help.
Had the buffet huge selection of different dishes and I tried to have a little of everything.
Attended concert love the venue very cozy feel and acoustics are perfect.
Looking forward to coming back in March for a concert with 15 of us attending and staying at the hotel.

I am surprised how empty this place was, usually casinos are busy, parking lots were almost empty, we saw only one tour bus. Just the buffet alone is worth driving here. The service was impressive, food choices and the quantity of the food was very good. I would encourage people to come and visit.

Casino Rama has a nice lobby and parking seemed adequate for the location. Staff were accommodating to the needs of various people, and helpful when asked questions. The bathrooms were very nice and clean. The sound was clear and not overbearing for those with sensory needs. A long walk from the main lobby to the concert venue.

One of the ‘First’ casinos in Ontario, one of the most famous for delivering AWESOME concerts, One of the Best in customer services in any way you can imagine. Located in Orilla, Ontario surrounded by beautiful farms and in the Indigenous territory. It’s a 1.45 hours drive from Toronto and now they have Bus services again from specific locations around Toronto for pick-ups and drop offs. Check their website for information. Lots and lots of table games and slots to choose from, go and enjoy.. I tried my luck but …no such luck !
THEIR RESTAURANTS ARE SUPERB!

I dunno, I wanna like this place but I can’t in good conscience because it’s pretty much line after line. Went for a concert, staff very slow admitting people in. Bars make u line up outside of the venue to get drinks so be prepared to miss 4-5 songs. Lineups for bathrooms. Even leaving the actual venue takes forever as they funnel everyone out 2 sets of doors. Casino wasn’t much better in regards to service. Only a couple bars to service the entire casino. Expect lines 15 or more deep. Not a lot in terms of slot variety either. Expect to pay $8 and up for a beer/mixed drink. Well playing poker, the server came by twice in 2.5 hours. This was a Saturday night, would expect more. Even the cashier had a lineup. Not the worst experience of my life however considering options are extremely limited for lodging in the area if the casino is sold out, I wouldn’t make any additional trips to this facility.

Explored the casino today. It was my first time visiting the location, although I've walked through the property countless times via architectural plans, having been part of the design team that worked on this project back in the late 90s. Property offers ample free parking. The casino is nice; the lobby looked different than I recall on plans. The Casino provides a variety of machines, but navigating them without prior knowledge can be challenging. It would be beneficial for the casino to have staff at the entrance to assist visitors in understanding the gaming machines, or alternatively, display a sign offering assistance. I didn't verify if such help was available. Uncertain about it, I refrained from playing and instead just strolled through the casino. Noteworthy sections include High Limit gaming, a Baccarat area, and more. There are two bars—one centrally located and another beside the restaurant.

Fun place to go if you like giving away your money. 😋 Haha just kidding, gambling is gambling.
Honestly, this is a very nice casino and hotel facility. Watched a show in the entertainment centre which was fun, food and drinks are pricey but that's too be expected, my personal fave is the top notch pool and spa. Indoor heated saltwater pool, hot tub, sauna and even a steam room!

We stayed at the Casino Rama Resort taking advantage of the Chris De Burgh Entertainment package. Sadly due to a hack on their systems the show was postponed by a week. When we arrived, the staff bent over backwards to make things right during the current situation. They were able to give us our fantastic King Bed Suite, lovely and very spacious room, and the bathroom...to die for. The concert was great, but started earlier than we were told. We had dinner and Breakfast at the Weir Restaurant. The staff were fantastic, food was great, and prices were reasonable. Even with the package, Valet parking was included. We recommend the Entertainment package for a couple who wants to see a show and have a nice getaway. WE WILL BE BACK

Purchased the entertainment package to see collective soul, and it was well worth the price! My mom and I came from Capreol and had a blast! Definitely worth the 4 hr drive. We played at the casino and didn't win but very friendly and quick service there. We dined at the buffet for dinner and it was delicious with lots of options. Just make sure to get there before it opens as it can get super busy! The prices were fair as well - comparable to anywhere else for a buffet dinner. The service was great and friendly. We had amazing seats for the concert, which made the experience so much more. Great smaller sized venue. The only complaint I have is the security guard pushed me when my foot went past the line at the front of stage - in my opinion he shouldn't be touching anyone when he could have verbally told me to move. Our hotel room was great, large, well kept, and clean. Check-in/check-out was quick and easy. The lady who served us was super kind, friendly, and provided much needed information. Overall, though, it was an amazing night and experience.

The only reason I’m giving this a 5 stars is because of the amazing bartenders outside of the buffet. The experience inside the buffet was less than delightful but the food was amazing and the bartenders outside the buffet are awesome! The room was huge and there was plenty of space to roam around to different games. Plenty of concerts and events! Highly recommend visiting as I would try again!

Rama is like watching something slowly dying. The staff are amazing, fun, and the reason I keep going back! There is no room service. The promise of more restaurants a yearly fib. The staff are sparse, there is not enough staff. Wait lines at all areas are long and at all places open, because of such limited choices, floor staff are sparse. It's like rama is saying come visit give us your money but the only thing you are getting back is disappointment. Don't get me wrong every restaurant there is great food. The rooms are nice. Staff everywhere great! It's just sad to see it sitting exactly like the day it opened after covid! Casino Rama was one of my favorite places to visit.......I miss you casino Rama!

We stayed overnight for a birthday treat! The service, food and casino were excellent! No complaints about any of that! The room was ok a bit dated! The bed and pillows were comfortable but the sofa in the room had a bad odour! Couldn’t even sit on it the smell was so bad. Also I plugged my phone in behind the bedside table and the dust behind the table and carpet was gross! Need to pull the tables out, dust and vacuum there! Overall room was not worth the price!

Came for a show and stayed a night at the hotel. Everything was lovely, great show, decent food, the gaming floor is lots of fun…. only disappointment was the toilet paper in the entire facility is very rough and actually quite uncomfortable to use. Rough enough to lose a star over.
You wouldn’t think TP would be something to review, but here we are.

Came for the Price is Right show and stayed for some Casino action.
Employees were extremely helpful and friendly throughout the night. Even the Pit boss helped my mother with explaining roulette.
Over all great experience

This is a really nice resort. There is a good selection of restaurants on site and hotel rooms are very spacious. The 3rd floor spa and pool facilities are very clean. Its a nice add to have hot tub, dry sauna and steam room also available.
All personnel that we engaged with were friendly and helpful. The bars could use more staff and it would be nice to see more frequent service at the slot machines.
The entertainment centre is very big. Seating allows for good views in almost every section. The chairs are not very comfortable and there are only 2 bar counters which make intermission drinks a bit of a challenge.
Overall, I would love to go back here. Staying for 2 nights with a show on 1 is the perfect getaway.

We spent 4 days here. Such an impressive place to getaway. Beautiful rooms and service. The staff and people were so friendly. The Weir restaurant was outstanding for breakfast. So sad to leave this home away from home. Can't wait to come back!

Our room was large comfortable and clean. My husband and myself had a lovely evening at Casino Rama. We were however disappointed with the buffet. The service very good, but the food was not great. The food selection as reduced and simply not very good. It cost us close to 100 with tip, definately not worth it... nothing like it used to be. Our breakfast at the Wiers was very good as with the service. We have previously had dinner at the restaurant beside the buffet and it was also very good. I don't think we will be back to the buffet.

This place has definitely gone downhill in the past 5 years. Hardly any good restaurants to choose from. Platinum lounge closed a long time again...thats a real shame, it was a great place to take a short break while gambling. Its still nice if you want to go for a drive, but its a far cry from the awesome experience it used to be.

I really enjoy visit casinos in different locations with my boyfriend. We came to this casino before COVID, and of course after too. The quality of costumer service is terrible.
Not restaurants, bars, coffee shops or stores.
The lines to go into the buffet are inside. People can wait in line an hour for a table, because is just the buffer, a steak house and a little bistro corner with sandwich $14 dollars.
The buffet closes at 9:00 pm. It’s crazy … I don’t recommend this casino too much!
Lakeside park with a swimming beach, play equipment, grassy areas, boardwalks & a mini-train ride.
After lunch we took a stroll down to the waterfront in Orilla, and to our surprise it was absolutely beautiful. This was our first time visiting the waterfront. There were plenty of trails to walk, a couple of sandy beach spots with public washrooms/change rooms, a fantastic kids jungle gym, splash pad and an outdoor theatre. Plenty of picnic tables and beautiful grounds to have a picnic with your family and friends. There were many options for snacks and ice cream to purchase, and the nearby restaurants are a short walk.

Awful experience at Couchiching Beach park. Parking used to be free but is now $50 and BBQ on the grass is no longer allowed. The park has security guards that are super aggresive and very eager to give out tickets. I witnessed them writing a parking citation while someone was still in the car which was outrageous. The water is dirty and park itself is very plain. I would definitely recommend going to other parks/beaches in the area like Mara where it is much nicer, BBQ is allowed and parking is way cheaper.

The entire waterfront was under construction, part of the Centennial was closed. Managed to find a parking near the railway for kids. The scenery along the boardwalk was beautiful. Still in late May, not many boats in the water yet. A little windy, pretty quiet.

Beautiful beach located in Orilia. A great place for the family. Kids can enjoy the small park, a short train ride and safe swimming for all to enjoy. Well maintained area (clean bathrooms facilities, and green areas). Enjoy admiring the boats along the water horizon. With a welcoming community, this beach park is a must to visit with the family!

beautiful park. visited during winter time in beginning of January. lake was frozen. could see from far end. nice trail to walk, public washrooms and park and play area for kids. nice beach for the summer. near by places like port of Orillia were under construction and maintenance and hence closed. drive on the Bay Street and then maple drive is scenic as surrounded by water on one side and beautiful houses on the other. would definitely come again with family specially during summer time. people were nice and friendly around as well.

Absolutely loveeeeew this cute little beach - park - and a lot lot more this small place has to offer . The parking right is front is 50$ for the day but the rest of the places around the park .. near n the yacht parking are all free of cost . There are two small parks with rides for kids and swings etc. There is a small beach area where the sand and beach both are really nice and warm . The best part.. the beach has the baywaych kind - guards who are really pro active and hence makes it a safe place for the kids to learn swimming in the nature . There was a small fair happening where there were Mary go round , a small cute train , dragon ride , bouncy castle and corn maze . There were stalls for some local businesses and popcorn . An easy whole day spent . Another best part , the washrooms are very close to beach and not super crowded and also very very neat . A big thanks to the beach guards and authorities who maintain the whole area . Very impressive. And yes you can also get lifeguard jackets - no extra charges 🤩. Happy beach day guys… u r in for a treat . Also .. don’t forget to have a look at all the lovely yachts parked💛

Sibbald Point Provincial Park is a spacious park situated on the banks of Lake Simcoe that offers campsites, hiking trails through wooded areas, and a boat launch. The park also features a sandy beach for swimming and picnicking. Located only an hour's drive from Toronto, it is a popular destination for those seeking affordable glamping options or casual camping experiences.
Great spot for day trips and one day camping trips. The campsites and the washrooms are very well maintained. We were very skeptical about the cleanliness with the mixed reviews but were pleasantly surprised. We enjoyed some time on the beach stargazing. It was a spectacular sight away from the city lights. Would definitely come back to this place for camping without second thoughts

Nice campground & beach close to the city.
- Very crowded
- I do not recommend the East campground if you're looking for peace.
-There did not seem to be anyone enforcing quiet hours, and it sounded like we were at a rave until 3 am.
- The park should look into stopping the cars racing through the park at night as well

The environment was good! The beach is good, the sand is not too coarse! The water is quite clear. But there are no lifeguards for the beach! It's an unsupervised one! Near the beach, there's a playground which is good for kids! The trails are more good for biking but a hike is good too! The fall leaves here are nice, the color is beautiful!

It’s has nice, comfy and beautiful beach. Be careful near stone area, there were carbs 🦀 hidden. The site doesn’t seems like privacy. It’s kind of open, everyone can see everyone and very close so it disturb a lot if your neighbours does loud music party, also, site was not that clean, there was dry leaves all on the floor, and mosquitoes.
We cooked a lot of food, we enjoyed.
But don’t want to go back there.

We only stayed a couple nights mid week after Labour Day and enjoyed how peaceful and quiet the park was. There were very few people there at all so we could easily enjoy being outside and going to the beach and playgrounds. The beaches look really great with a lot of shallow area for little ones to play. There are multiple playgrounds and they are in good shape and have good features. The campground is kept clean. I was very surprised to only find a single dumping station with so many campsites for trailers… it must be a terrible wait in the summer on Sunday afternoon… I’m sure we’ll be back sometime to check out the museum and the one trail there. Definitely will avoid going during summer weekends since I’m sure the day use area is swamped…

Sibbald beach is beautiful and serene. Usually gets crowded on a sunny day, has lots of benches, water is clear and good for swimming, boating or taking a dip in the water. It also has a separate beach for dogs. Ample parking space which is included in the day permit.
We had booked the permit online 2 days prior but it can also be done over the phone.
Overall the place is good, though the day visit fees are a little expensive.

Good spot for a day trip or for camping, as the park is located by Lake Simcoe. The park is mainly known for its beaches and access to the Lake, plus has ample campsites available. There is also a museum located within the park and a short trail that is not difficult.
There are also some recreational activities on site and many spots for picnics.
The park also has a boat launch to allow for multiple boats and parking for trailers. Parking gets filled up quickly so recommended to have reservations beforehand.

This was my second time visiting Sibbald Point. The first time I went in Fall. You can see what the park looks like during the fall in the photos I've attached. It was calming, and the leaves had lovely orange/red colors. This time around, I went in the summer. There was lots of beach area for people to enjoy/relax. The water was warm and shallow. The nice thing about this beach is that there are swimming barriers in the water. In addition, there is plenty of parking space, washrooms, and even a parks store. I purchased a scratch map from the store. I love it! There are few provincial parks with stores. If you're also looking for a hike, there's a 2km loop that you can do while at the park. Lastly, if you're interested in history or enjoy museums; Sibbald Point has the Eildon Hall Museum on site. It's free of charge. There are fun scavenger hunt activities that you can do to engage yourself and others while here (you can ask the guide for it). Enjoy :)

Our campsite was bigger than her 320'
But I forgot to take a picture of my campsite
The washroom is simple but they have a good ones close to the beach
The beach is very good, crowded but the officers are always walking by and checking .

An amazing park and campsite, just a little more than an hours drive from Toronto. This beautiful beach on Lake Simcoe is paradise for a quick day trip. We camped there during a summer long weekend. The campgrounds were fine, the nature was amazing, but it was very crowded.
The beach was packed, and the campground was so noisy at night that I thought we're close to a school.
The staff were friendly but without experience. It seems they were playing instead of working. It was a line for everything.
The internet connection was very poor.
The Martyrs' Shrine is a Catholic church that has been open since 1926 and is devoted to Jesuit saints. Visitors can explore the museum, gift shop, take tours and enjoy refreshments at the cafe. There is a fee to enter Christ Park, but tickets for the museum can be used as well. The atmosphere is peaceful and ideal for connecting with God. "This Martyrs' Shrine of Huronia bears witness to the rich heritage that has been handed on to the whole Church. At the same time it is a place of pilgrimage and prayer, a monument to God's blessings in the past, an inspiration as we look to the future..." - Pope John Paul II
Martyrs' Shrine has been a holy and historic place of worship for nearly 100 years and continues a nearly 400 year story of love and discovery with St. Jean de Brébeuf and his companions. There is much to discover and explore, and on this page we can only give you a glimpse into the Shrine's rich history. Martyrs' Shrine is more than just a beautiful old building. It is a place of worship, a place to meet, a sanctuary, a haven, a celebration, a place of joy and occasionally sadness, but most of all it is alive with the people who make the Shrine what it is today.
The Martyrs’ Shrine welcomes over 100,000 visitors annually, was once home to the Canadian Martyrs and has been visited by Saint Pope John Paul II among others. The Shrine is a unique blend of early modern Indigenous-European tradition and discovery that inspired and influenced the formation of Canada as we know it today. We hope that you can join us in person and are here to help you as you learn more about the our holy site.
We visit Marty's Shrine in August every single year for over 30 years now 🙏

Martyr’s Shrine is popular to pilgrims during summer, a shrine dedicated to the Canadian martyrs, eight Jesuits Saints that lived, worked and died here over 350 years ago. If you’ve been here before, you’ll notice that now they charge $10 per person to get in. There’s a Portuguese pilgrimage on Sunday and the whole grounds were full, parking lots were full and some actually had tents so I assume they slept in. Once in the main worship hall, notice the painted glass windows around, the wooden walls, and you step out through the main door, you’ll see an awesome view. You could easily spend the day here, of course, devotees go through the huge and large grounds, with stations of the cross, and the altar where Pope John Paul celebrated a mass. It is a huge compound.

I understand the need for a solution to the parking issue but not a fan for $20 to park on weekends. The path is nice but often walkers take the whole path an ignore bike bells. It is a divided path and so they should move to one side and allow others to pass easily. Best to go at off peak times so that you get a better experience. Also, going further away from Rotary Park can be a better experience as the people near the park don't pay any attention to the path and I have nearly hit kids and adults alike who run onto it without looking.

Its an OK spot for just relaxing in the summer weather, there is a canoe/ kayak launch area, small space for fishing, paddling opportunities up the creek, lots of wildlife at certain times. There is a splash pad for the kids, a play park for tots and one for bigger kids and not to forget, there's miles and miles of the lakefront trail which leads towards Whitby and beyond in the east and to the west it goes to Pickering and beyond in the west. The trail is paved and good for strolling, walking, jogging, cycling or just exploring. It can be at bit busy so walk/ ride with caution and observe staying on the appropriate side of the walking path. It's not a bad place, but improvements can and should be made at the pavilion to its washroom facilities. The volume of people that flock here in the summer months the washroom facilities needs to be upgraded to accommodate more people, make it accessible to all, there needs to be a wheelchair ramp to access the male washrooms, the washrooms should open later in the summer months and stay open throughout the year, not just seasonal. Paid parking is in effect on certain days but free on other days of the week so be sure to read the signs posted.

I am here all the time a year round. I walk the waterfront trail
In the summer there is a snack stand with snacks and beverages. There are also proper washrooms and Port a Potties. There is also a kids playground and splashpad. I often use the boat launch to launch my kayak and there are many others that do. It launches into Duffins Creek where you can access the creek or Lake Ontario
Note parking is paid via app on Sat, Sun and holidays. If you are a resident of Ajax you may apply to the Town to get your licence plate authorized to park for free.
In the winter most of those amenities are closed. However the waterfront trail is plowed (but not the bridges)

It is situated along the Barrie waterfront and serves as a navigational aid to travellers and citizens alike, while also acting as a prominent meeting place. Beautiful statue and marina by the waterfront, we are not from Barrie but try to make a stop here everytime we pass through the city. Great views and relaxing breeze

The Spirit Catcher- the big sculpture is little on the hill. So view was great! And also a harbor was there. So can see many boats too.
Parking lot fee is $1 a hour.

Wonderful park to go have fun with family and friends. They have bike riding path, play area and water play.
You can enjoy a swim with the ducks as they seemed pretty chilled being amongst all the people.
There are public washrooms, which were decent and water fountains. You also have the option of doing your bbq on the BBQ pits.
All in all, great place for summer fun.

We enjoy the waterfront boardwalk here, Barrie has grown super rapid with many new developments in terms of living and business growth, just situated approximately 1 hr from Toronto this once desolate city has boomed in popularity and population. There are many surrounding beautiful places to visit with Wasaga only being 50 minutes away, along with Collingwood, Blue Mountain, Townships of Tiny beautiful beaches all in close proximity, less than 1 hr away. Your long weekends would be nothing less than adventurous time away from big city life.
The Toronto Zoo is a vast animal park in the northeast corner of the city, covering 710 acres. It features outdoor pavilions that house hundreds of species and has a large botanical collection. This zoo is a popular destination for nature enthusiasts and lovers of furry critters. It offers guided tours that provide informative experiences for kids, but visitors can also explore on their own.
The zoo is really nice. I like the atmosphere and the husbandry methods.
It is amazing and you should spend half of a day, if you wanna visit all the animals.
African part is the best part of the zoo.
Hippos are really lovely and giraffes are amazing. 😍😍😍😍

The experience was okay. If there were more animals to see, it would have been better. Spent around 5 hours and walked the entire complex and just saw less than 15 animals. But the experience was good. Oh, also, the staff was very knowledgeable. They explain things very well. If there's a way to find which animals are there ahead of time, it'll be better, I guess.

Get a 20% discount on admission when you give them your presto card seems like a better option than buying online/in advance if you don’t mind a little bit of a wait.
Had a fun 5 hours and 20000 steps in. There were a few animals off display because it was too hot out. Would recommend bringing lunch, snacks, and a refillable water bottle. There are a bunch of benches to eat at and water refill stations.
Their signage and map was easy to navigate. They also had fun facts and other signs which were educational and nice if you take the time to read.

The zoo is a fun place for families and friends. Wear comfortable walking shoes, stay hydrated and have fun. There is lot of food and drinks on sale throughout the 700 acres of land. There is adequate parking. Lots of picnic areas, washrooms and vending machines throughout. It's definitely worth it to buy your tickets and parking online to avoid the lines. When it's too hot, the animals tend to stay in their enclosure or just lie around. Still always a great place to spend time with the family.

The Toronto zoo is a really nice place to spend time in nature. We went there with family and had a great time. We actually started with a nice cheese pizza at the first stop of the hop on- hop off 😉. The exhibits of animals were really nice. One sad thing was to see animals in confinement do not augur well for me 😢. But the saving grace was that animals were taken well care of .
The Hop On- Hop Off train rides to each of the sections were really good. They explained the family chain of animals and the history of the zoo which was fabulous. Overall a very well spent day.

If you as me are animal lovers, then this is the place to visit. Animals seem well treated, and the staff try to maintain an atmosphere as comfortable as possible for them.
The pandemic has been a challenge in many ways, and zoos have been affected considerably. Coming with family and children is definitely the best way to support them and admire the animal greatness that we have around us and our responsibility to protect it.

Family Day trip was a success. We have always gone in the summer and even once as a COVID drive thru, but never in the winter. Lots on warm indoor options and surprisingly quite a few outdoor animals out and about, including the lions, tigers, hyenas, and the obvious polar bears etc. A lot less people was a bonus but certain sections were closed, such as the Canadian zone, hence a lost star. Kids had a blast and so did we. Still a great yearly family destination, and we are glad we tried a winter session.

We went to zoo on first week of April. It was a perfect weather for day out and enjoy the great weather. Though not all animals were out in their sections , we still got to enjoy the Africa section. Zoo is too big to complete in single visit, will suggest to get an annual membership to enjoy it.

Nice place to visit with kids and family. Kids will have a great time. The zoo is pretty big and you have options of zoo mobile to transfer between different stations inside the zoo. It takes around 2 to 5 hours to completely visit the zoo. They also have camping options where we can book and stay for the night. The Zoo staffs are so friendly! The parking ticket is 15$ per day. An adult it costs around 37$ per day. For infants less than 3 it is free.

Ensure to have an entire day free & if possible get in early to stroll around all the regions of the zoo. Ample parking space and charges are additional to the ticket. It's a good place for children to enjoy their time as well as learn about animals from various geographical areas. Stroller accessible, also has rentals available. Clean washrooms in America's and has food joints as well as picnic spots every few meters. They have a wide variety of animals in the Eurasia & Canadian domain, but others just had a few of them. Huge space, could have been used more effectively.

Had a fabulous time! So hard to choose a favourite area. It was so well laid out and really a great time. We had fantastic weather, which of course helped, but there's a lot of indoor exhibits, so if it rained we would have been fine too. Oh and we rented a stroller, which was a great idea! And the gift shop was not overpriced and had really nice items.

We had a great visit! The park was accommodating to people with disabilities and children. The layout was excellent to walk with good shoes and a child in a stroller. We saw most exhibits, zipping around in a condensed timeframes, since we traveled 2.5 hours from home. There were also plenty of shaded areas to rest and pavilions to have lunch or a snack. The animals were very visible in almost all enclosures. The new boardwalk through the wooded area is well crafted and the wooded canopy is a sight of it's own. Last time I had visited the snow leopard was coming soon and what a beautiful big cat to see. Make sure to see the camel's and the newest baby camel born this spring 2023... was only 2 weeks old today - so cute and worth going to visit this summer to see this baby grow. The gorillas were very entertaining and exciting to watch! Hippos were playful! My daughter is about 1 and a half and she was very engaged with learning animals in real life and sight seeing. This time of year there weren't many mosquitoes as well - loved it!

It's fun for little kids and a great educational space to learn about various animals around the world. Maybe it's the time of year we went, not too many animals are out on display. There's some nice boardwalks and pathways throughout that make for a scenic walk. Definitely a good way get steps in!
It was raining for half of the day so the zoo wasn't too crowded which is what I prefer.
Will be back for special events.

Bravo Toronto Zoo, for all you do to make us humans remember and appreciate how amazing other species are.
The animals look healthy and comfortable in this world-class zoo. My fave this time was the orangatang mom and baby. The staff are great too: I got talking with a zookeeper scooping up goat poop and she was so fun to talk to, happily telling us the observations she's made in the poop of different animals.
If you're the parent of a teenager, the zoo is a great way to unplug them for a whole day and give them lots of exercise. My teens just loved bringing a friend and being turned loose in here. They did the WHOLE zoo while I could explore more slowly myself.
The flowers and landscaping are beautifully done.
There is room for improvement on the signage coming into parking. It needs to be more clear, both on Google Maps, and on site. Also, cleanliness of the washrooms near the gate seems to be an issue.

We love the zoo! I love learning all about the animals from the volunteers. They have a wealth of knowledge! It is so big so I recommend getting a membership so that you can see it all slowly. It’s such a great way to spend a big part of your day outside. Lots of picnic tables to choose from. I love how there’s lots of fun “playground” areas for the kids everywhere.

No lines and lots to see. I was skeptical about going in winter but there was still so much to see. We enjoyed every minute of our afternoon at the zoo. Seems like it would be bumped in the summer but if you want a super peaceful experience winter is a great time to go.

A Toronto experience that was a first for me! I am still amazed at how easy the walk was. Every station just naturally flowed into the next, with no confusion of where we were or where we were going.
There were many different stations, but I remember we did the safari, the different species of animals, birds, rhinos, monkeys, giraffes, gorillas, lions, tigers, snakes, fish and every species of animal you can think of! There's also a very lush forest, I was very impressed with, with a bridge almost suspended through it, which was very cool. I am still amazed at the expanse of land that the zoo sits on. It is a massive area!
Next year I will definitely purchase the season's pass and go more than once. We went with a toddler in a stroller, very easy to move around. However next time will invite some older kids with us, I think they will enjoy and appreciate the animals more. Toddlers might be bored after the first 20 mins, but surprisingly mine enjoyed the entire walk!
Definitely a spot to invest in. Will be our new yearly tradition!

Since moving to Toronto, I've been looking forward to checking out the Toronto Zoo. I've heard incredible things about it and I'm glad to say that they lived up to the hype.
Though I visited on a weekday in the off season, there were plenty of animals to see and a lot going on. I was able to see several of my favourite animals including the massasauga rattlesnakes and the tigers, both of which had impeccable habitats and seemed both healthy and happy! It's clear that the zoo takes animal welfare very seriously.
The staff and volunteers that I encountered on my visit were excellent. They were very friendly and talked to me about everything from the animals to the zoo updates to the volunteer application process. I ended up learning a lot from them!
As a physically disabled person, I was initially a bit concerned about the accessibility of the zoo but after reading through the website's dedicated accessibility information, I was pleasantly surprised. Not only is the zoo fully wheelchair accessible, they also have wheelchairs, sensory bags, and other accessibility tools/mobility aids available for disabled guests to borrow. I also really appreciated the disability price on tickets, especially as I wasn't able to enjoy all the exhibits due to my disability (Though not for a lack of accessibility on the zoo's part!).
While at the zoo, I was able to get some great pictures before it began to rain and, while it was raining, there were so many indoor exhibits to see.
I ended up staying for nearly the entire day and grabbed lunch there. The food was expensive but no more than can be expected for such places. The only real complaint I have was that, despite having multiple signs and exhibits that spoke about the harm of single use plastics and included multiple solutions, the cafeteria and gift shop still used a LOT of single use plastics, even when it could have easily been replaced by a reusable, paper, or plant-based alternative.
All in all, it was a great visit and I fully intend to return when all the exhibits are open and the weather is a bit more predictable.

The Toronto Zoo offers a wonderful experience for families to enjoy time together while observing animals. Although most exhibits are outdoors, making spring, summer, or fall ideal seasons to visit, there are also indoor options available. However, one area needing improvement is the Canadian exhibit, which is inconveniently located down a steep hill, making access challenging. Given its significance as a Canadian zoo, enhancing accessibility to this exhibit would greatly improve the overall visitor experience. Additionally, many visitors, myself included, miss seeing the grizzly bears due to this inconvenience. Furthermore, I urge the zoo to reconsider its decision regarding the elephants and explore the possibility of establishing a suitable sanctuary within its extensive property in the Rouge Valley.

I recently visited the Toronto Zoo and had an absolutely fantastic experience. From start to finish, the visit exceeded my expectations and provided a delightful day for both adults and children alike.
The zoo is impressively vast and beautifully maintained, with well-kept pathways and lush greenery. Each exhibit is thoughtfully designed to resemble the natural habitats of the animals, which not only enhances the viewing experience but also demonstrates the zoo’s commitment to animal welfare.
One of the highlights of our visit was the African Savanna exhibit, where we saw majestic giraffes, playful zebras, and a magnificent rhinoceros. The Great Barrier Reef exhibit was equally spectacular, with its vibrant aquatic life and informative displays. The interactive experiences, such as the kangaroo walkabout and the Discovery Zone for children, added an extra layer of engagement and fun.
What stood out most was the educational aspect of the zoo. Informative plaques and interactive displays provided fascinating facts about the animals and their environments, making the visit not only entertaining but also enriching. The zoo offers various keeper talks and demonstrations throughout the day, which were both informative and engaging.
Overall, the Toronto Zoo provides a wonderful day out, blending entertainment, education, and conservation. It’s a perfect destination for families, animal lovers, and anyone looking to spend a day surrounded by the wonders of the animal kingdom. I highly recommend a visit!

It is always a great experience to take my kids to visit the zoo, whether in summer, fall or even winter. Very entertaining, educational and informative for everyone! The new addition of the arctic wolf, young and playful cheetahs and a small waterfall show you how the zoo is still working hard to attract visitors while we all miss the elephants and giant pandas.

The zoo is vast and boasts a wonderful environment. Both the admission fee and the food prices inside are very reasonable. It's an ideal place for families, friends, and couples to take a leisurely stroll. To explore the entire zoo on foot, expect to spend at least four hours. While they do offer a mini-train ride, it covers just a short distance and ultimately brings you back to the starting point. Some areas are available for rental, which might make it feel a bit commercialized, but aside from that, everything else is commendable. It's a perfect spot for a weekend outing or springtime excursion.

I visited in March. Still cold for many animals and sections of the park to be open. It was a different experience than when I visited 8 years ago, 9 years ago and 10 years ago all in late spring / summer ( June, July, August ). It was still very busy since it was a long weekend but one thing that stood up was amazing crew( super helpful and friendly). The kids zone was a bit underwhelming but my son loved the bat caves and wanted to spend all of his time there he also loved the bat booth with information and stories. There was a craft local market that we bought our bbq lunch ( locally made sausages) which was great. Food, drink and snacks are all across the park. Drinks are expensive ($4 pop) so not a bad idea to bring yours or have a water bottle ( multiple water fountains all across the zoo). If you have kids, definitely bring your stroller ( there is rent option but usually all go e depending on your time of visit. Ample Parking $15 per car payable upon exit by purchasing from the guest relations ( look in the map to find it) or online. Highly suggest the Zoomobile if you get there early and planning not to walk your whole day. $9 per person: makes your visit so much more efficient. Plus kids love it!
Things I recommend: go in summer, June or October; preferably not during a holiday, bring your sunscreen, be there early around 10 am, have a hat ( for sun or if in Oct for cold- it can get very windy), buy zoomobile ticket. Research your route, let kids enjoy and do not worry about visiting everything.

We had an awesome time at the zoo. We went in February and the weather was great and they had a lot of animals out. It was great talking to staff about all the cool work they do reintroducing animals back into the wild! We loved hearing about the black footed Ferret and the bird that impales mice on Thurn bushes and the turtles and snakes they have had a big hand in helping. I'd love to go back in the summer. I'm sure it will be much busier in the summer but probably worth it. Either way whenever you go there is not a shortage of beautiful animals to see.

The Toronto Zoo holds a special place in my heart. Visiting as a child and now sharing special moments with my child, it has come around full circle.
Having a membership gives great benefits from early admission, discounts on food, gift shops and first access on events.
Most times I just visit to get away from the city and enjoy the serenity of nature and animals.
There is a lot of construction happening now but from the looks of what's Happening if the construction is completed by the summer this will be a game changer! The new boardwalks, the paths the reconstruction of the entrance. I can see their vision and it will truly be amazing once everything is completed.
Me is a perfect month to visit just be aware of the weather before visiting. But the temperature is perfect for walking the entire Zoo. For me I took my time and explored all the exhibits indoor and out including the greenhouse and the Animal Hospital. My favorite is the orangutan sanctuary where you can sit and watch baby Wali and his mama on the observation deck. It is absolutely astonishing to see how Zoo staff created their home away from home. All in all my visit took approximately 4 hours.
Families have an option of renting strollers there's also the zoo mobile at a fee where you can take a small train / trolley around the park to visit all the animal exhibits and you can hop on the Zoo mobile at various locations within the grounds.
I highly recommend the Toronto Zoo for families and even some "me time".

My recent visit to the Toronto Zoo was an absolute delight! From the moment I stepped through the gates, I was captivated by the vast array of animals and exhibits that awaited me. The zoo's commitment to conservation and education shines through in every aspect of the experience.
One of the highlights of my visit was exploring the various themed areas, each meticulously designed to replicate the natural habitats of the animals. From the lush forests of the Americas to the arid landscapes of Africa, every corner of the zoo offered a unique glimpse into the diverse ecosystems of our planet.
The animal enclosures were spacious and well-maintained, allowing the inhabitants to thrive in environments closely resembling their natural homes. I was particularly impressed by the zoo's efforts in providing enrichment activities for the animals, ensuring their physical and mental well-being.
The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and always eager to answer any questions I had. It was evident that they were passionate about their work and dedicated to the welfare of the animals in their care.

My wife and I have recently made a point of going to as many zoos as we can. The Toronto zoo is the first out of country zoo we have visited and it was an amazing experience. The Toronto zoo blends exhibits with the great Canadian outdoors flawlessly and you really feel as if you are hiking a trail while also enjoying the scenery of a zoo. The variety of animals on display are breathtaking and really made the trip worth every bit paid. The staff is extraordinarily helpful and friendly. In our visit we were stopped multiple times by staff who wanted to help guide us to the animal enclosures that we most wanted to visit and tell us interesting facts about each animal on display! Another thing the Toronto zoo does extremely well is the size of each exhibit, all animals have PLENTY of space to roam and live happily, which is not something commonly seen in the American zoos I've visited. Overall the Toronto zoo is a stop that I already can't wait to visit again in the future filled with amazing exhibits, wonderful and friendly staff, and a great outdoor atmosphere to bring everything together!

A huge Zoo, be sure to bring shoes to walk in and a stroller for children 4 or 5 and under because it's a LOT of walking for little ones.
A wonderfully kept Zoo with very friendly staff. The Tigers, polar bears, and wolves are great and you should be able to see them from any angle. Lots of great exhibits and lots of seating, which is necessary given the size of the Zoo.
The price is more than fair given everything that is included. You can easily spend from open to close walking around and looking at things.
The only Zoo of this caliber that I've been to is the Fort Worth Zoo, and that's high praise coming from me.
Parking is easy, access and exit are painless, ticket entry is a piece of cake. Just easy from top to bottom to enter and see animals. Again make sure you're ready for long walks.
Can't recommend it enough, the Toronto Zoo is top flight stuff!
This 13.4-hectare park offers a playground, trails & bridges, plus picnic areas, events & restrooms.
Beautiful park in the heart of Newmarket. The biking, walking trail is well used. It connects to an extensive network of walking/biking trails. A peaceful place to relax. Yes, that is a manhole cover in the middle of the grass field. You don't see that very often.

The park is a staple of Newmarket, attracting human and animal visitors daily. Great place to go for a walk, see the geese, ducks and beavers. Also a great spot to go tobogganing in the winter and close to Main Street shops for a cup of warm coffee and some food. Great and relatively new playground for kids as well as a couple of loops for walkers, joggers and bikes. Hidden gem is the little boardwalk on the east side of the river as you walk south towards Mulock. It could be improved with some updates along the pathways and more attractive landscaping, but overall always a pleasure to visit.

Also known as Wesley Brooks Conservation Area is a great place for everyone. However, need to be careful of the cyclists as a lot of them are just going way too fast even though the paths are so supposed to be shared with everyone. Yet I had to pull my kids over many times because they don't even slow down or stop even for little kids. Some don't even give warnings that they are coming. Still the kids enjoyed the boardwalk and the playground.

To complete a visit in Newmarket, a visit to Fairy Lake is a must. There's a creative playground for the kids, restrooms, gazebos, nature walking paths, benches to rest along the journey and being there put smiles on people's faces. It also serves as a community venue for events such as the Lions club Artisans Festival Father's Day weekend and among the older trees has served in the past as a perfect setting for Shakespeare in the park. The fountain near the bridge in the summer is especially a treat to see day or night.

Very nice park. Enjoyed the Artisan Festival. The walking paths are nice. Was disappointed however that the washrooms were up a hill on the grass and appeared to have a step into them, which didn't appear to be wheelchair accessible.

We enjoyed a nice walk around fairy lake. It was a beautiful Easter Sunday with lots of people out enjoying the day, picnic area, barbecuing, and kids on the playground.
Airy, modern mall with a colourful, bright design across 2 levels of clothiers & home retail goods.
A well organised and clean mall. You will find almost all brands here. Usually it is not as crowded as some of other malls in Toronto. But keep in mind it can take you a lot of time to get here in busy traffic hours

I haven't been here in years since I moved from the area, but this mall has been beautifully updated. It was a clean and pleasant environment for a retail therapy outing. Many familiar merchants are still thriving, and numerous others have moved in to offer great variety.

This is a really nice mall after the new renovation! The layout is great. They have a great selection of shops. We can buy everything we need there.
It was not crowded and no long queue to get inside. The mall has a new area called the Market & Co. We enjoyed the small shops inside there. These shops were very unique. You can get some delicious dessert, ice cream, pizza, Japanese food & much more.

I have gone to upper Canada mall ever since 2014. Since that many things have been added to it. It only has gotten better. I love just walking around and window shopping. The farmers market opens up a new demographic to the mall. The upgrades have greatly benefited. During Christmas the parking lots fills up super quick people will even park on the grass. There is busing routes all around it and it’s easily accessible for those in wheelchairs and other mobility. It is quite big but there are benches scattered so you can sit down if you feel tired.

Considering that this shopping center was built in a new area, according to the new design, there is enough space to park cars even on busy days.Brands are the same as elsewhere so dont expect to find a magic here. Canada is young and needs many meeting and marketing centers like this to attract more people from other countries.
Style of selling clothes in ground floor reminds me Europe markets! Which is seems weired here.

Upper Canada mall is decent size, plenty space to park your vehicle. Did not see any electric vehicles charging spot or Tesla charging station in parking area.
Mall has Apple Store, Marker and all other big brand for clothings and jewellery.
Food court is decent size too not very big or lot option but you will find sufficient options to eat and mostly prominent brand.
Currently they have extended hours for mall closing 9 pm Monday through Saturday and Sunday 8pm.

Washrooms don't have paper towels. They also aren't very spacious for a mall this size.

The Upper Canada Mall at Newmarket is one of the biggest shopping mall in the north of Toronto. You can find most famous brand names chain stores here . A big food court, and the newly renovation Market Co. A very nice place to shop and to enjoy nice food. Today is Halloween , they have a special event " Kid Halloween Spook Tacular " , taking a 360 video for each kid. This is a good way for kids to do "Trick or Treat " inside the mall because of the cold and wet weather. Many stores participated , kids enjoyed it very much.

Excellent service. Friendly and great attention to detail. Usually at “mall” type salons you feel rushed and just a number. Here they were super friendly offering tea and had the nail colour selections readily available while you wait, and took time to do the service right. I will be returning

Great service, very clean and relaxing nail place and the staff are very friendly. Easy booking as you can just do it online through their website.

A mall designed for you and your family.
Liberal roam around, premium brands distinctly placed, open food court arena with innovative seating arrangements, interesting interiors and displays all culminating into a smooth sail shopping experience.
An novel feature seen here - washrooms have integrated wash system wherein the wash basin comprises of three taps each one for hand soap liquid, tap water and hand drier. So no need to roam at different places.

I went during the week shortly after opening, wasn't too busy. Really easy to get to the mall, they had a cute Valentine's display for photo ops, really clean. Well laid out with virtual maps available. The only thing for me, not all stores open at the same time as the mall, but I think this is true for most malls.

Went to Score Pizza, and it was fabulous. You don't pay extra for your toppings!! No matter what you put on! The manager, Steve, is very friendly! His staff seems to be happy working there, too. The pizza was delicious and the price was great too. They are also starting to do Paint Nights too!

It's a pretty decent sized mall with a decent food court and has almost everything you need in your daily life overall if you never been to the mall before I would say it's worth checking it out
Shopping-mall chain featuring a variety of brand-name & designer outlet stores.
The size of the mall is reasonable. Simple layout covers what I normally needs. Perfect for people who like quiet environments.

If you shopping fan "especially the brand names", then you should go to Tanger Outlets Cookstown. When I went to this outlet, I could not believe that I would find more than 70 of the best brand names stores in one place. Moreover, you will find everything you want, whether clothes, shoes, jewelry, home supplies and perfumes at discounted prices. It is a wonderful, organized and neat shopping center that you can spend the day in, as there is a good food court. In addition this Outlet is not super busy & easy to find parking spot.

I am their customer since 2017. I went there almost 3 times a year. They have very good deals most of the time. They changed the Tanger application recently so new app is much better than the old one. The new customer evaluation and rewards system is much better. The deals in the new app is really fantastic. The Under Armour and Columbia always has a good deal. The Mall is very clean and quiet. The only thing I believe they can improve is the number and verify of the restaurant and fast food. I highly recommend.

This mall is always very clean. The layout is interesting, but you can always find what you're looking for while there, I wasn't expecting to find my wedding dress here but it's perfect. I'd definitely give it a look around, especially on those hot summer days when the 400 just doesn't seem to want to move.

We found out this outlet while driving to Sudbury. The outlet is just before the ONroute stop and we decided to stop here for break instead of the ONroute and god did we take the right decision. The outlet had all branded shops and we checked out a Puma outlet and bought stuff at huge discount. There are plenty of neat bathrooms and a couple of food shops available. Definite recommend to stop here to take a break from driving and to shop and dine.

Pretty bland and boring. Ugly and sterile interiors. Very little in terms of good deals can only recommend the Nike store and maybe Calvin Klein.
Really not worth the detour or drive. Only if you happen to be on the 400.

Very nice place to shop and walk around, but they do really really need some kind of shopping carts or at the very least, lockers for your coats or something. We were so bogged down with Xmas presents that we couldn't possibly carry anything else, shop and pay for things no longer. We had to call it a day. But overall a great place

The Beach Area 1 of Wasaga Beach Provincial Park is a natural area that spans over 6.8 hectares, protecting the habitat of wildlife and endangered birds such as the Piping Plover. This beach features a 14-km stretch of clean sandy shore, earning it the blue-flag status for its cleanliness. Visitors can enjoy walking trails amidst the scenic beauty and explore nearby camping options at Awenda and Craigleith as camping is not allowed within the park grounds.
Very Beautiful place. Even if all areas are close ,this area is not closed during winter. Summer time allows busy. Very beautiful sunset. Clean water . Wasaga Beach is really big.

Best beach ever! Soft sand, shallow warm water and beautiful views. What more can I ask for? Parking space is ample and convenient, there different food and beach supplies shops around and during summer months, there's always some festival going on. Make sure you come in early on the weekend to get a closer spot to the water.

The awe & beauty of the park is unchanged with the roaring of the waves & protected sand dunes but sadly, the traffic, abundance of water sports & masses of tourists are somewhat of a draw back. Be prepared for lengthy line ups, crowded beaches & excessive noise. Limited amenities and park fees applicable. Preference for more rustic rather than commercialized provincial park.

A must visit place for any season of the year. Always gets busier during summer season.
Kids love the water and playing hours at the beach. Sand is slow smooth and cars get dirtier for each trip. Food across the restaurants is really good, offering wide variety of cuisine.
Purchase a day use parking or preferred time parking for the parking areas across the region. There are private parking lots as well. Plan the trips in advance to avoid rush.
Off season pricing is cheaper, but windchill is at peaks before the summer.
Blue mountains is also within close proximity and a great destination for any season.

Very nice clean beach. It has washrooms, so many car parks but it is always packed with vehicles and people. Clean water, shallow beach and sandy. Windy days it can get really rough but still can enjoy because it is shallow for some meters inside. Big beach and middle part where the main entrance is the happening place and either sides are for more family type beach. There are benches (picnic tables) and shades (structures with roofs). Nudity not allowed. No dogs allowed. You need to pay $22 for the vehicle pass. Right now Mondays to Thursdays it is free parking. After 4pm most people who came early will leave and you should be able find a spot to park and in the beach. Enjoy!!!

Wonderful freshwater sand beach. Best midweek to avoid crowds. 6 public beach areas under the banner of Wasaga Beach Provincial Park. Town, accommodations, dining, shopping and its people is an eclectic mix of the old and the new. Continually changing by the season and the occasion. If one is particular about any one of these things best to invest some time understanding whereabout you are headed. Something there for everyone. Bottom line is you should expect that you will have a good time!

Wasaga Beach stands out as one of the best places I have visited thus far. Wasaga Beach is an exceptional destination that left a lasting impression on me. The expansive shoreline, soft sand, and clear waters create a picturesque setting. The overall atmosphere is vibrant and welcoming. Whether you're seeking relaxation, water activities, or a leisurely stroll along the beach, Wasaga offers it all. Additionally, the local amenities and friendly community enhance the overall experience. It's undeniably a must-visit destination for beach enthusiasts and those looking for a memorable getaway.

Wasaga beach is gorgeous though it can be very crowded at times. We went there after 4 PM, so we were able to get a parking spot very near to the beach. The parking charges are not very high, although getting a spot can be tricky. The beach is beautiful, and the water is warmer than Lake Ontario. The water depth for a few meters is not very deep, So it was safe to send the kids alone in the water (while keeping an eye on them). The views are vast, and you can also see the blue mountains. The trail crosses the beach, and it’s beautiful. There are so many picnic spots and table picnic tables there. If you walk a little bit farther away from the main parking area, as you will see, there are so many picnic benches and tables under the trees. The sand is soft. You’re also going to find lots of seashells. There are some beautiful logs along the beach where you can sit, can create some kind of privacy with them or just enjoy the view from there. The more deeper you go, the stronger the waves get.

A site with a historical past and its own geographic history.
Nice beach with chattering seagulls.
They say it's also a good place to watch the sunset.
We had afternoon tea at a terrace restaurant with a view of the lake.
The closer you get to the beach, the more expensive the parking lot is. The parking lot by the beach was 25 dollars when you entered and 20 dollars when you came out. And, no matter how long you park, the price is the same. I'm not sure about the price of the public parking lot, but it's 15 dollars a day just a block away.

Grungy green slime all along the after edge. (See my photos and videos)
And then lumps of brown sludge that stinks.
(Photos show this too)
Not sure what happened to the water up here but it’s pretty foul smelling not sure if it’s safe.
Parking is a whooping $21 a day no matter how long you’re staying.
The guards at the gate will run you down to get it.
Also new is these parks guys on atv’s (all terrain vehicles) driving up and down the beach all day. Super noisy and annoying.
Not as nice as it used to be.
*** Also lots of rocks 🪨 🪨 🪨 in the water watch your toes!
And parking lot is sand - not good for elderly or people with balance issues.
Overall this beach is degrading. Going to check out Wasaga beach 1, 2,3,4,5 next time if we even go back to the area.
If you have other recommendations I would love to hear it!

This is a very sweet beach.
Full of tourists from all parts of the world.
This beach is different from other beaches around Toronto area.
There are bars opposite the beach, my favorite is the beach bar.
Parking could be difficult on very busy days but paid parking is available.
There are alot of resort around the beach for those looking to stay.
Many visitors are able to swim in this beach.
Some nearby local shops sell beach items and clothing.
The beach has different areas for different purposes including sports zone, and pets zone.
Don't be discouraged with the long drive from town to this place. You'll definitely love it here.

It's a nice beach for a day out. We visited with a group for friends and enjoyed a lot. It has shallow water for really long stretch. So it gives a pool type feeling and really good for bath and playing in the water during summer.
Beach is also very long. It's on Huron and west facing so we can see great sunsets if we can stay really late or stay in wasaga itself for the night.
Only cons is it's too crowded. If you like people you will enjoy this beach. If you want to spent some we time or alsone time , there are better options for that.
This is the closest beach from GTA where people can really enjoy beach time during summer. For anybody and everybody.

Wasaga Beach brings back amazing memories from my childhood. My family and I use to visit this beach each summer. We rented a near by cottage and spent days relaxing and having fun on the beach. I must share that returning to the beach as an adult recently really was nostalgic. I was amazed to see how well kept the beach was. No garbage in site, in fact the garbage truck was rolling by to collect the garbage from the bins. The water was clear just as I remembered it and the view of Blue Mountain in the horizon still stunning and gave me that island vibe.
A massive amusement park with more than 200 attractions, Canada's Wonderland is a must-visit in Toronto. With kid-friendly zones and world-record breaking rides, there's something for everyone to enjoy at this popular attraction.
It’s a very good experience for kids and family. I went with my family for the first time, we liked it but we came back as it was chilly. They do have lots of things for adults and kids to try and Enjoy but for under 5, its just sightseeing and watching some activities. Not all activities are for small kids.
The lights were magnificent, the place is enormous so it’s quite a bit of walk. Make sure to cover up fully if ever plan to visit. It’s going to be cold and you will not like it if you are not warm. It’s an open space, so feels colder than normal.
For kids, make sure to take their strollers or push wagons so that they can sit and relax when they need to. Water and coffee is crazy expensive, so I suggest you take your own water bottles.
Parking is big and huge! It’s generally crowded, so be on time for your slot. Go earlier is that you can cover all that is there.

July 30, 2022. First time to visit Canada's Wonderland and truly indeed that one day is not enough to ride all the attractions. We were able to enjoy the rides and waterpark pretty much all day. Well food and drinks is really expensive if you didn't purchase the meal and/or drinks package. But for us you can just buy one of each package and just share. Locker rentals are quite expensive too. Ranging from $17 to $30. Washrooms, well yeah you pretty much have to accept that it is used by more than thousands of people everyday. Shower wasn't working during our visit. Also, we did park at the exit parking so we don't have to worry about getting out. And we kinda left early too. But it is 100% certain that regardless of what age, you'll enjoy Canada's Wonderland.

I visited on a Friday morning, a holiday, and the parking line was long. Tickets were purchased online and scanned to enter. There is a bag check upon entry. There were so many different roller coasters, and my child was very excited and excited because it was his first visit. There were a lot of people, so it took more than 30 minutes to wait, but at 7:30 at night, there was almost no waiting line, so it was easy to get on. It's too hot, but it's hard because there's no shade here

Title: Family Fun and Thrilling Roller Coasters at Canada's Wonderland!
Review:
I recently visited Canada's Wonderland with my family, and it turned out to be a fantastic summer getaway. The park offers a wide range of attractions suitable for all age groups, making it an ideal place to bring the kids.
One aspect that particularly stood out to me was their new policy of allowing outside food and drinks. This is a huge plus, considering the park's prices can be quite high. Being able to bring our own snacks and beverages definitely helped us save some money while still enjoying a day full of fun.
As an adult, I had a blast riding the roller coasters. They were exhilarating and provided the perfect amount of thrill. I appreciate that Canada's Wonderland offers a great selection of rides for adults, ensuring an unforgettable experience for all the thrill-seekers out there.
Moreover, the park caters to every age group, ensuring that everyone can have a great time. However, I do agree that the ticket prices for kids could be more affordable since there are relatively fewer attractions specifically designed for them. Adjusting the prices to better suit the available options for children would enhance the overall value for families.

It is super fun and we just cannot complete all rides in one day so you need an extended or seasonal pass if you love rides and thrill. There are sections for all age ranges from toddlers to adults and each section that we explored was amazing. I spent half of the time in the kids section called Snoopy planet and my kid was super happy. Perfect destination for kids. They have safety protocols and many rides. Variety of rides are available and you also get a meal pass there. Washrooms are good and clean and quite accessible. There are many washrooms and food joints inside.Youth and Adult rides are super fun and thrilling.Overlal a good experience

It was the first time that I saw the winter fest, and it was a great experience! Staff followed COVID protocols. I would go again. Most of the games are for kids; however, there are still some options for adults, and I loved them. I only went for 3 hours as I thought I would not need much time, but if you want to see the shows and go on some rides you can spend more than 3 hours.

Under-rated. Must visit for people who love rides. My family enjoyed the ride attractions at Canada Wonderland better than Disneyland. Not as much to see in terms of display or characters compared to California Disneyland and Disney World Florida; but the rides are awesome for thrill seekers. We visited mid May and the ground is very beautiful with flowers in full bloom. I'm a non rider but still enjoyed the grounds. We added a meal to our park ticket and there are so many dining options. The meal package is worth it.

If you are visiting this area or just contemplating if you should go...i would definitely recommend to go. (Especially if you are a rollercoaster person). It was a lot of fun! Buy the tickets/parking pass online for a cheaper and quicker entrance process. You can just scan the QR code at the gate. Keep it handy if you plan to go back to car and re-enter the park. We went on a summer weekday and they had decent lines but they were worth the wait!
Charu Bhandari — Google review
The rides and experience is absolute fun. If you pick the right day to come you can avoid wait times. On a busy weekend, popular rides could ha e a wait time of an hour to 90 minutes. Getting the seasons pass if you live near by is a good deal. It also lowers cost of food in the park. Come early to find parking close to the entrance. The ♿ parking gets full pretty soon.

There is everything for everyone from the youngest guests to the oldest folks. The cirque show alone was worth the ticket fee. We had a fun day full of thrilling rides, spectacular shows and decent food options. We dragged our feet exhausted 9 hours later and felt like we haven't seen half of it. Next time we are coming with swimsuits and towels as we didn't even check the water park. Thank you to the staff and crew for being so welcoming and friendly. We made the loveliest memories.

Whether you're a thrill-seeker looking for adrenaline-pumping roller coasters or prefer more relaxed family-friendly rides, Wonderland has something for everyone. The park's layout is well-designed, making it easy to navigate and ensuring that you can maximize your time enjoying the attractions.
Secondly, the cleanliness and maintenance of the park are top-notch. I was impressed by how well-kept everything was, from the pathways to the restrooms. It's clear that the staff take pride in maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for visitors.
Thirdly, the staff members at Canada's Wonderland are friendly, helpful, and attentive. Whether you're asking for directions, purchasing tickets, or enjoying a ride, the staff always greet you with a smile and go out of their way to ensure you have a great experience.
Lastly, the entertainment options at the park are fantastic. From live shows to special events, there's always something exciting happening at Canada's Wonderland. It's a great place to create lasting memories with friends and family.
Overall, Canada's Wonderland offers an unforgettable experience that's fun for all ages. While there's always room for improvement, particularly in terms of food options and pricing, I highly recommend visiting this iconic amusement park for a day filled with thrills, laughter, and adventure!

There is no social distancing in the park at all. Be aware of that, everyone is vaccinated tho. Was expecting few rides to be open But it is amazing how many rides are open and that makes it still fun to go as an outing not just a Christmas thing and it has a beautiful display of Christmas lights still during covid Christmas, honestly if your fine with no social distancing it's worth going

An amazing amusement park! The best I've been to in Canada, certainly. There is some light theming in places, but it is mostly a park with good thrill rides. My personal favorite is Leviathan, but the Yukon Striker is great too. The way you can see its drop from throughout the park is quite lovely.
If you are visiting for a single day and are a coaster fan, I recommend getting the Fast Lane Pass. It's a bit expensive, but really allows you to do everything you want to without having to visit multiple days. Of course, getting there at the opening helps too.
Also, the dining plan is well worth it if you plan on being there all day. 30 dollars for 3-4 meals, if you time it right. I particularly recommend eating at the Lazy Bear Lodge. Good food there.
The water park is just okay, I would avoid it on a day you are using the fast pass, since it is not valid for any of those rides.
Overall, I had a wonderful day at Canada's Wonderland and if you are an amusement park fan, I think you would too.

Best place to seek thrills and to find scary rides. Buy the tickets in advance so you don't need to wait in line and arrive by 9:45 am to enter. They open by 10 am. Also, buy fast-lane Plus as you can go on all the rides with less than a 10min wait. It's worth the expense as you get to experience more rides within a short time frame. Canada's Wonderland is a place where the excitement of thrilling rides meets the indulgence of sweet treats. During my visit, I couldn't resist the siren call of the towering roller coasters and the mouthwatering aroma of funnel cakes wafting through the air.
The moment I stepped into the park, I was drawn to Leviathan, one of the tallest and fastest roller coasters in North America. As I soared through the air, the rush of wind and adrenaline was exhilarating. But it was the Yukon Striker, a dive coaster that hangs riders over a 90-degree drop, that left me breathless and thrilled.
After all the excitement, I needed a break, and what better way to recharge than with a funnel cake? The smell of freshly fried dough, powdered sugar, and sweet syrup was irresistible. I savored every bite while sitting in the shade, watching the world go by. The combination of the crispy, golden dough and the sugary goodness was a perfect contrast to the roller coaster adventures.
Canada's Wonderland isn't just an amusement park; it's an immersive experience of exhilarating rides and delectable treats. The memories of heart-pounding moments on the rides and the sweet satisfaction of a funnel cake will stay with me as a perfect day of fun and indulgence.
Huge parking space.

We went to wonderland 1 day before New Year and it was packed. The general experience was nice, but if you’re planning to go on the rides, you should probably pick a different day for it since due to the cold weather, there aren’t many rides open, so it’s more like a familiar environment to watch some shows, have some hot drinks, take pictures with people wearing Christmas costumes, skiing and walking through scenarios with lights. The only reason why I don’t give it 5 starts is because even though we had purchased our tickets online in advance, when we got to the turnstiles we were asked to go back to the main gate/counter windows to have our ticket “validated” so that ruined a bit our experience at the entrance, another observation is that almost all of the fireplaces were not working, I guess they ran out of gas. I would definitely go back, but I think the best time for it is during summer. Hope this helps. 😉

I recently visited the Wonderland Winter Festival and the lighting was good. The lights set a festive, wintery scene, making it a cozy backdrop for an evening stroll.
It's worth mentioning that the festival is very family-oriented. The rides are ideal for kids, providing lots of fun for younger visitors. For adults, the rides might be on the gentler side, but the overall atmosphere can still be enjoyable.
If you're thinking of bringing the family, it's a good choice. The kids will likely love the rides and the lights but I don't suggest that for the adults.

Canada's Wonderland transforms into a magical place during the Christmas and New Year season, making it a fantastic destination for families. It was our first time to visit it during the past years and we enjoyed a lot.
If you plan to visit more than once, think about getting the annual pass, priced at $114. This pass is not only useful for your holiday visits but also ideal for enjoying the park in summer and experiencing the Halloween festivities.

We went on the perkopolis day and it was SOOO fun. We were able to ride all the rides without any wait. Even though it pretty much rained the entire day, but almost all the rides were operational. The food is extremely expensive though. I paid 25$ for 2 slices of pizza from pizza pizza which is absurd. Overall an outstanding experience and would 100% do it again

What a wonderful experience for New Year's Eve!
They have unlimited hot chocolate with souvenir cup for $14.99.
They have several rides open and ice skating for a fee.
Lots of fantastic picture opportunities with lots of festive lights, shows, singers and more.
Restaurants are open, snacks available and alcohol also.
Stores open to shop for a variety of items too.
Dress warm and wear comfortable shoes for all the walking.

All I can really say is get the Lightning Lane. It will change your experience dramatically and is well worth the price.
Some rides don’t allow for Lightning Lane which is a bummer.
Food is pricey and parking is extra.
Lots of fun for the family.
Give this place a visit when you’re in Toronto.
Arrive early so you can enter the park when it opens and get good parking. It’s a long wait if you get there after they open.

Went for their winter wonderland and it was a super nice experience. We walked around for 4 hours and always found something to be entertained with so that says a lot. The rides were all free and didn’t even have much lineups, we tried a few ones including the merry go round.

Usually I go summer time it was the first time going in winter was fun. If you want to skate get ready to pay $10 with your skates if you don’t have your skates then you have to pay $15 and is only 30 minutes. Rides are open but not all of them. We had fun, but I still love to go when the weather is warmer.
The LEGOLAND Discovery Centre Toronto is a family-friendly attraction with rides, play zones, and LEGO builds. It also has a themed cafe and a shop.
Legoland is a great place to spend multiple hours with your kids.
The front store looks unassuming but wow is there a lot hiding in the back.
There are multiple rides that are interactive, there is a whole section to build and race lego cars, and a 4D theater with 4 different movies that play back to back that are all entertaining with good production value.
The cafe is reasonably priced if you want to have a snack and you get 20% off if you have an annual pass.
The only downside is that this place gets PACKED on holidays and weekends. You want to come early for those days or you will be waiting in long lines for rides and movies.
If you can manage to come on a weekday, I highly recommend it.
We got an annual pass and my 4.5 year old son loves it every time.

What a fun spot. My daughter enjoys lego and loved going here. The staff was great. Had a gentleman working in the store was super knowledgeable about the brand and even did some magic tricks. Wish i caught his name. The rides were great and even managed to watch all 4 movies in the 4D theatre. Thanks for the great day would recommend to any parents to take their kids.
ThunderStorm Productions — Google review
I was pretty disappointed. We still had tons of fun with the kids but we really tried to make it better than it was.
For a Lego place there were only two building stations. One of which was duplo and was a very weak earthquake simulator. I had to really try to make a tower weak enough to fall and break. The other was a car building station with ramps. This was the best part, however, a lot of the building pieces were missing. Which I expected but still very unfortunate.
The place was run down and fairly dirty. Staff had no ambition to encourage kids or to interact at all. Purchasing the Lego character with your pass was not worth it. You chose from two and they both were no good pieces.
Food was reasonably priced which was a good thing and one of the reasons it got its second star.
The 4d movie was good.
This place needs a revamp big time. It needs to be bigger and more spacious. It was very very busy.

The best place for kids and parents. Kids spend time playing and having fun with LEGO. Parents can enjoy a quiet cup of coffee while watching their little ones play and have fun.
I have two little ones, 4 and 8 years old.
We have the annual pass and the truth is that the value for money is unbeatable.
Vanesa LM — Google review
It is an obvious hit with our kids. They enjoyed each and every part of the Legoland. 4D theatre was okay as it felt just like a 3D theatre with couple of water spray. It could have included more effects, though it was fun. The team was so friendly and helpful. I could see us becoming a regulars here, in future.
Amaranathan Suriyanathan — Google review
The place is pretty small compared to Lego land in other countries. It has a 4D cinema for Lego films as well as a small food court. I would say that it is enjoyable for kids of age 8 and below.
Maher Hatem — Google review
One of the best indoor playgrounds in Ontario. Small compare to the US Legoland but good enough for the kids to enjoy it. You can have combination of rides and physical activity, using your mind and imagination to create the new thing. Also can enjoying for small hand made vehicles race. You have an option to buy the annual pass which is the cost is much affordable. My kids love this place and I highly recommend.
Saeed Parsa — Google review
We went as two parents and a child, cost just over 90.
It's not bad, but a little pricey.
The 4d movie theater was interesting and the rides were neat.
Walking around looking at the exhibits was good too.
I wish they had better management for the race cars, some kids were hoarding all the wheels and sliding down the tracks.
The staff in the main room seemed overwhelmed and exhausted.
Colette Chappell — Google review
Okay at first when I walked in here I thought to myself this place was going to be a bit underwhelming, however as I explored more of it I got into it more, i discovered that there were two rides at least that you can ride on with your kids. Additionally my son liked playing in the fancy playground. He also enjoyed playing with the Legos that are scattered all over the place. He also liked playing with the gravity race cars. And then I stumbled upon the movie theatre that they have there and I enjoyed two films in four dimensions. 3d plus other lights and light water spray. So make sure you explore everything before you judge. I would go again and it was a good time for my son. We spent about two-and-a-half to 3 hours here.

Thought it would be a great idea to take my nephew to Legoland to get him out of the house during the summer and something he would be excited about.
Honestly most of the attractions there weren’t working. The first ride only worked the first 1/4 of it. The cinema wasn’t working. It seemed like a very cheap Lego fair. They have a octopus ride in the back in which a lady sang through the mic. Honestly get a track that plays the song for you instead of making someone sing who can’t carry a tune. Not very professional at all. The only cool thing at this place is the jungle gym with slides/walk through tubes and getting to make your own car to race it or make it crash off a jump. The character built out of legos were neat.
Really not worth the money. No healthy food options and super expensive for what the food is. Not worth it.
Tracie D — Google review
It was nice, but even for kids they got bored after 10 min there, the only thing that kept them was needing to wait for the 10 min videos that Legoland played and it had 4 different videos, so the kids wanted to wait and see it. Other than that it got really boring real quick with 4 or 5 things to do and after that it's just aimlessly walking around. I don't know what to suggest that would make it better to be honest or what I was actually expecting from it, that's why I'm giving it a 3 star instead of a 2 star. Additionally something to be aware of (and this is not on Legoland) that there are small Lego pieces on the floor no matter how many times the crew will come and clean it (which they do and do a good job) but kids are playing and things will fall.... So if you're with small ones... Make sure you have your eye open at all times!

I visited here yesterday with my daughters and their mother and we all had a great time! My daughters had an absolute blast and there was so much to do, we purchased an activity package with the tickets and it was definitely worth it. You had to find a stamp station in each room and after you get all the stamps you get a little prize. I love that there were many interactive stations for kids to build things and the mini land of Toronto was awesome! The best thing by far was the 4D movies! They also have a cool ride that requires peddle power to go high in the air while the ride is in motion! We spent about 4 an a half hours there. I highly recommend this place for any parents that have kids that love Lego!

Great place for an indoor family fun day. My 2 year old loved and as much as my 10 year old did. Different activities to do two rides inside also a small 4d theater 4 short movies play change every 20 minutes. Only bad thing is that kids tickets and adult tickets are the same price

Fun experience with the family. Worth the trip if you haven't gone yet. A bit pricey depending how many people you are but something to do once in a lifetime while in Toronto. The kids loved it and it was very fun. Located in the mall and parking is available everywhere. There were some rides in there as well for the kids or parents. The restaurant was big but I did not go look at the menu since we went after lunch. Highly recommend the 4d movie that was available and to sit in the front row since it's an interesting experience ( you'll see for yourself lol). There also was a dressed up character from the movie taking pictures with the kids. The mini village was cool too and well done.

We had an amazing time at Legoland Toronto! Visiting on a weekday felt like having the whole place to ourselves. The workshop with Brandon was fantastic; he's excellent at his job. We participated in everything, and the facility was impressively clean. The only downside was one closed ride, but overall, a fantastic experience!

My son really had a great time here, it's even fun for adults if you like Legos. The 4d movie was very enjoyable but I would suggest you cover up as they do go a little overboard with the mist. One thing I was disappointed in was the lack of inventory they had for sale, I was expecting way more and different options

The kids seemed to love it, though I definitely question the value of the tickets (especially for the adults). The rides are a little anticlimactic, and we still somehow spent 3 hours there. Soooo busy, but we were asking for it going on a Sunday.

If it's your first time, get there early. The kids loved it and we could have stayed all day. The build center was great! We couldn't stop building racers!
The VR was fun, the 4D movie was... wet... and the playground was a kid magnet.

Legos are so fun to play with, but not this Lego place. First time visiting during March break, we arrived before just open, the price are $10 extra charge over the regular price, end up$275 for 5 children and 1 adult. And the workers are super incompetent, especially the "manager" that have no costumer service experience, highly unfriendly. But we felt glad that we didn't go in.

Located in Toronto's historic Old Town district, the renowned St. Lawrence Market is a vibrant food destination boasting over 100 vendors, including bakers, butchers, and artisans. This spacious market offers an array of produce and antiques on weekends. With a rich history dating back to 1803, the market has continuously evolved while maintaining its authenticity as one of the world's finest farmers markets according to National Geographic.
One of my favourite places in the entire city. A must visit whether you’re a local or a tourist coming in - so full of fresh produce and locally made, high quality goods! An absolute gem of a place, there is something special for everyone.

This large marketplace exudes history, charm, and the classic Canadian story of hard work and fresh produce. The columns were easy to navigate, with bountiful arrays of cheese shops, delicatessens, meat, fruit, vegetables and seafood. The seating was scarce but spread throughout the marketplace and the air-conditioning made for a refreshing stroll in the summer.
Be sure you check out downstairs where I'd recommend the Everyday Gourmet Coffee Espresso roastery which was probably the first place in Toronto I've visited which took its coffee seriously.

This is a very organized, clean and comprehensive marketplace where they sell fresh produce, meats, cooked foods, coffee, kitchen essentials and more.
It is a joy to walk here even if you are not buying anything and they sell way more stuff than the usual supermarkets near you, premium cut, special cuts of beef, mutton, chicken etc.
Prices here are a little higher, but freshness and variety is definitely better than what you get at supermarkets where they do sell stale meats or items that are not as fresh.
There are a few specialty shops selling cheeses, fresh or frozen seafood, wines and they are really amazing.
As a consumer, I might come here to buy special items, but given the price, I will be selective and look for offer fresh items elsewhere. Nonetheless, this place is pretty nice to walk around, look at fresh produce and meats and get inspiration for your next meal.
P.S. Not everything is that expensive, they do have special offers now and then so keep a lookout and you might just find those hidden gems.

Cool place!!! So many options to choose from here. Indoor Venue reminds me of a local farmers market; indoors with 2 floors and with tons of vendors selling everything from meats, cheeses, syrup, seafood, souvenirs, various hot food options, desserts and more. A wonderful place to relive the past. It was quite interesting to see the old pics of the market way back in the 1880s...I was distracted by the history and the colorful shops displaying all kinds of fresh products. The covered market took me back to the New Market of Kolkata, India. Similar ser up and feel except that New Market is more sprawling. Must have some of the interesting food being sold there. Definitely worth a visit.

This place!! It has a whole different vibe. You can get fresh and organic grocery, souvenirs, cloths, international products and so much more. Prices are comparatively high but there are some shops which accept cash, saving you some tax. Must visit, even if you just want to stroll around. Don’t forget to check out shops under ground level.

Fun place, with lots of good food. The shop or stall keepers are very nice and we loved what we picked (some pastries since we were on a tour and wanted something easy to eat). There's at least 1 ATM machine (bring some cash because some vendors only accept cash) and several washrooms, which were clean and not with a lot of people.

The best decision we made is visit this Market is so amazing they have food make your palate blow and the best part everything is fresh and prepared daily.
Whe you seat to eat you can feel the savor.
You can feel the freshness of the ingredients they used to prepare your order, we ordered from different places but the result was equally delicious and exquisite.
High recommend place if you like eat so many plate and the best thing is the price was very perfect for the quality they offer.

If you visit in Toronto and plan to visit St.Lawrence market, I would suggest to go there without eating. There are many good quality food vendors. There are eat-in places and you can buy the food and eat there. Also, you will find a some nice souvenir there as well. Many shops are taking a credit card, but some places are taking a debit card or cash only. So if you are planning to shop there, I would recommend to bring some cash or debit card.

The market is a true treasure trove of culinary delights, offering an incredible array of fresh produce, artisanal goods. From local farmers showcasing their bountiful harvests to talented artisans crafting unique creations, there's always something new and exciting to discover. The convenience of having this culinary paradise right next to my building allows me to easily explore its offerings, indulge in delicious treats, and connect with the vibrant community that calls St. Lawrence Market home. If you're a food lover and visiting downtown Toronto St Lawrence market is and absolute must - visit destination.

I had a great experience at St. Lawrence Market. It's a hub of fresh food, bakeries, and fruits, all of excellent quality. The market has a farm market vibe, although being in the core of downtown, it's understandably a bit more expensive.
I particularly enjoyed the variety of offerings. However, it's worth noting that some food stores within the market only accept cash, so it's a good idea to bring some with you. Despite this minor inconvenience, the overall atmosphere and the quality of the goods make it a worthwhile visit. Highly recommended for those looking for a diverse and fresh food market experience in the heart of the city.

I recommend you stop by on a weekday. Much less crowded than weekends which allows you to walk around the several shops in peace. The cheapest options will be downstairs but the heart of the market is the main floor.

For a first time visitor like me on a Sunday mid-morning, St. Lawrence market can be both overwhelming and charming. With it's old world charm, this market offers a variety of items and shops to explore, from vegetables and fruits to meat, cheese, freshly baked bakery items, quick-bites, collectables and souvenirs. Even for tourists, freshly baked items and a quick breakfast are highly recommended here. However, the prices are a little bit on the higher side compared to China town.
The building is quite impressive as well. And adjacent roads and area a offer few good spot to click some of your best Toronto cityscape pictures from your trip.

Had a great time exploring this amaZing market. There are two levels to it. Both levels have a variety of stores selling exotic ingredients, cheeses, breads, baked goods, there are food vendors scattered all around. The market is pricey but food is good.

Every time I go to Toronto the St Lawrence Market is a priority to visit. The great assortment of vendors and products always amazes me. I usually get an assortment of breads and meats and cheese along with whatever else catches my eye. I also love the assortment of fish and oysters!

This was one of our favorite weekend trips of our year 💯. We will be bringing a cooler next year when we come back. Parking can take a few minutes, but you'll find a spot. We would recommend everyone visiting the market for sure. I can't wait to see it again.
The CAA Ed Mirvish Theatre, located in Toronto, Canada, is a historic and luxurious venue with two magnificent balconies. It offers a wide range of large-scale musicals, stage shows, plays, and operas. Originally known as the Pantage Theatre and later renamed the Empire Theatre and Cannon Theatre, it now bears the name of American businessman and theater manager Ed Mirvish.
We went and saw the Bat out of Hell performance and it was fantastic. The theatre is beautiful and the staff was great. All the seats from what I could see would have been a great choice. Liquor prices were reasonable as well as the coat check. Nothing bad to say about our evening.
John Kalar — Google review
This theatre is beautiful despite how old it is. The insides are decorated and preserved beautifully. We were here for the Harry Potter and the Cursed Child and oh man, everyone needs to see this show.
The show was 3.5 hours long with 1 intermission in the middle, I'll be honest, this show was so good, time just flew by. The special effects, acting, surprise elements, and choreography were amazing especially their transitions with the props. Definitely an excellent show for families and a great date idea.
I definitely recommend sitting in the mezzanine instead of the orchestra because of the special effects around the entire theatre. Trust!

Fantastic medium-sized theatre with glistening architectural details, showing itself to be a peak mixture of 1930 architectural movements. Little bit of Art Decor here, a little bit of Beaux Arts there.
The seats positioning is very well designed (even for the back of the circle, no parts of the performance is lost).
As long as the building stands, Toronto history stands.

First time coming to this theatre and I was totally surprised how big the venue was from just viewing the front entrance.
It’s a beautiful space for a theatre show and there doesn’t seem to be a bad viewing angle in the house. How do i know this? Well I went to see the musical Hamilton but I was up in the mezzanine in row O which is about 10 rows from the very back of the theatre. I still had a great viewing angle of the stage. During the intermission, I took a little walk around to observe the other viewing angles of the theatre.
The sound acoustics are very very solid in here. A tip I learned by accident, try to exit onto Victoria St as there is usually a gate that is blocked off so the theatre actors can come out for pictures, autographs, and praise from the fans. :-)

Had a phenomenal time seeing Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.
The theatre is gorgeous, looks very classy with beautiful ornate designs throughout.
The concession stands and gift shops were reasonably priced with lots of options for everyone. The staff was helpful and very friendly.
The show was pure magic, the actors were fabulous, if I could have stayed seated and started the show from the beginning again I would have, absolutely breathtaking.
The only suggestion I could make would be update the seats, I’m not a big guy but I have broad shoulders and it was a squeeze.
Overall it was a wonderful experience and I can’t wait to come back!

Beautiful venue! It's a small theater and is well maintained. It has two levels and you can enjoy the play almost from anywhere. The seats in the middle are always the best choice but you can enjoy from the others if you don't want to spend a lot to have the best seating. There is an American Express priority bar and a lot of parking around. Municipality parking is available close with a flat rate of 9 dollars 6pm to 7am for night events.

We saw the Harry Potter and the Cursed Child play, and it was phenomenal! The screen play, the acting, the set up, the theme, and everything put together was flawless. The theatre itself is not that big, but the seats were comfy and had enough leg space.
Only downside would be the fact the central area is not too spacious so during intermission, it was extremely crowded, especially because there was only one washroom for ladies, which created a huge line up. I would suggest creating another one if possible..
All in all, fantastic experience!

Had an amazing time seeing SIX! Although the drinks were a little expensive, I know they had to be to make money for the theatre and to be able to pay the staff etc.
We were able to get tickets the day before and if you sign up for their newsletter you get deals etc. I'm hoping to return for Mama Mia in the fall :)

I was there to see Hamilton musical. So, Many, People. After act 1, the line for the washroom was out of the washroom, then all the way in the hall with all other lines for food/drinks and merch, then out of the entrance door. But the line moves quickly. Thanks to a staff quickly ushering people to available stall. After the show, I saw theatre staff telling people ways to get out of the theatre if they don’t need to get any merch or use washroom. Side doors were available to use and we were able to quickly exit the crowed theatre.

The hall to the theater was impressive. It retained it's grandeur. We watched Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. Amazing. Magic. They dressed up the theater with a surprise. As for Mirvish, the ticketing process was efficient/ quick. Pricing was reasonable with rush seats 1-2 days before.

The theatre itself is great and beautiful. I went there for the Harry Potter play. It’s actually really good ! I was expecting a great story , but I was not sure of how the play would be. The special effects, costumes and actors are great. Way better than expected ( and my expectations were high)

I had the incredible opportunity to witness "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child" at the prestigious Mirvish Theatre, and it was an unforgettable experience. As I entered the theatre, an air of excitement filled the room, and the anticipation was palpable. The production transported me to the magical world of Harry Potter like never before. The stage effects were simply awe-inspiring, bringing spells and enchantments to life before my eyes. The talented cast delivered a mesmerizing performance, capturing the essence of beloved characters with their impeccable acting. From the gripping storyline to the dazzling visual spectacle, every moment left me captivated and immersed in the wizarding world. The energy of the audience was infectious, with gasps, cheers, and applause echoing throughout the performance. It was an extraordinary theatrical journey that will forever be etched in my memory.

I saw In Dreams last week and had an amazing time! I was sitting in the very back row ground floor and I still had a great, unobstructed view of the stage. The staff were very nice, as always, and the place is very well kept, including the washrooms.
There were only two things I didn’t love. The first one being the fact that I almost didn’t make it into the theatre. I got there on time, was in line to get in and as I was getting closer to have my ticket scanned at the door I heard the announcement that the show was about to begin and they would close the doors! Perhaps more than 2 ticket scanner attendants at the door would go through the line faster. Though I understand it wasn’t their fault; getting closer to the door I saw a group of older ladies seemingly fight their phones to get their tickets ready to scan. The second thing was just how tightly crowded it gets during intermission and after the show. I also understand not much can be done on that front but it was still uncomfortable.

Beautiful smaller theatre that has a wonderful charm. Conveniently located in Toronto by the Eaton Centre this theatre houses great playa and musicals. I recently went and was surprised at the grandeur of the place. Tickets I purchased were in the orchestra level farther back and I was happy to know my seats were great and pretty much almost seating in the orchestra gives a great view of the stage. Concession area is simple. I bought pop and wasn’t overly gouged $4.75. My seats were comfortable although spaces are a tiny bit tight. I guess standard at theatres. Sound was great and atmosphere great. Staff was friendly can’t wait to go back to see another show!

The staff were very efficient, knowledgeable and courteous.
The seats are packed a bit closely, acoustics are wonderful

Went to see the show “In Dreams”, and walked away having a great night out! The theatre is great, comfy seating, nice decor.
Nice touch to have the American Express only bar…saved us some time. Bring your Amex card!
And if the main floor washrooms have a line up, then go upstairs. Much quieter and quicker!
Latest options and pricing for before the show or during the intermission in the photos.
Hope you enjoy your night out!

I've had the pleasure of attending several productions at the CAA Ed Mirvish Theatre, with the most recent being the spectacular Harry Potter production. This historic venue never fails to impress, & I can confidently say it's one of the best theatres in downtown Toronto.
The seating at the CAA Ed Mirvish Theatre is simply amazing, & there truly isn't a bad seat in the house. Whether you're up close or in the balcony, the view is fantastic, providing an immersive experience for every member of the audience.
The sound quality in this theatre is exceptional, a crucial factor when enjoying musicals like Harry Potter. The clarity & richness of the audio enhance the overall theatrical experience, making it a treat for the senses.
One aspect that consistently contributes to the positive atmosphere is the friendly & helpful staff. In all my visits, I've never encountered an unpleasant staff member. Their positive energy adds to the enjoyment of the overall experience, creating a welcoming environment for theater goers.
Located right in the heart of downtown Toronto, the CAA Ed Mirvish Theatre's central location is convenient but comes with a parking challenge. While there isn't dedicated parking for the theatre, various Green P parking lots & other paid options are available nearby. For an efficient and stress-free journey, I recommend using the Go Train & TTC subway to reach the venue.
In conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend the CAA Ed Mirvish Theatre to anyone seeking a top-notch theatrical experience. Whether you're a local or a visitor, this venue offers a memorable & enjoyable time, especially if the performance aligns with your interests.

A beautiful Ed Mirvish Theatre on Yonge street close to Dundas square in downtown Toronto. Beautiful interior design particularly its dome shape ceiling. There are two floors of seatings. You can enter the building from either the main entrance on Yonge st or the one on Victoria street. The water fountain and bathrooms are on the basement.

The Hockey Hall of Fame, established in 1943, is a museum dedicated to honoring and preserving the history of ice hockey. It houses a vast assortment of hockey memorabilia, including famous equipment and interactive games. The museum showcases the Stanley Cup and pays tribute to individuals who have made remarkable contributions to the sport. With its extensive collection, visitors can spend hours exploring everything it has to offer, from an authentic dressing room experience to viewing over 30 displayed masks.
A mix of Reverence and Fun! The NHL has struck the right balance here and created the perfect crypt to protect the legacy of hockey!
I had been wanting to come here for the longest time so I had high expectations. I am pleased to say that it exceeded my expectations!
It is a great place for both young and old alike to come together. All of the important events are captured with great detail and fanfare. There is even the appropriate amount of tributes to Gretzky and Mr. Hockey too.
The virtual goalie and shooter game is fun for everyone. Even non hockey fans have fun trying to score on an NHL hockey goalie.
The Hall of Legends is amazing! It is just like being in a church with the stained glass ceiling.
I also loved the recreated Montreal Canadians locker room. It really brings home how central the Habs have been to most of hockey's history.
The jerseys from around the world was a nice touch to show that hockey is loved around the world.
Now that there are a number of women in the Hall of Fame I think that it may be time to dedicate an area of the museum to the women of the game. There were many girls and women visitors as well as the boys and men who would love to learn about the women pioneers in more detail.
I could really feel the torch being passed from me to my sons while we were here.
Yes the legacy if hockey is alive and well here.

Oh it was an amazing experience. Walking around seeing all the great scenes and items hanging on display. The shot the puck and shootout were fun for the family. The main item was walking up the stairs into the great Hall. The presentation of the trophies and all the hall of fame walls was amazing. The staff members that took my family picture with the cup was great to talk to, as he even knew the Windsor area where we were from. He was talking like he still lives there and how he went to University and watched lots of hockey. It was a great way to experience everything.

Perfect place for any (ice) hockey lover, it has a huge amount of information about the sport- from players to team history and much more. As a person who doesn’t know much and only occasionally watches (Belfast Giants ftw), it was quite confusing but very educational!

Great! None of us visiting are big hockey fans, but the Hockey Hall of Fame was fascinating for us. Lots of items on display, from all eras - we spent several hours here. Really recommended. The entrances is one level down from street level, you walk past the food court to get to it (we couldn't find it at first, and had to ask).
Good that you get a stamp on your hand, so you can go out and back in again - we went out for lunch in the food court (good) and came back to look at more stuff.

For a die hard hockey fan which place would be a dream visit for them, for me not such one was great place to learn about the players, history or the sport and also the imprint it has throughout the world, as I learnt loads about the sport I didn't know.
Loads to look at throughout the Hall of Fame and the layout is perfect to flow into all the different areas, it's also very interactive for not only younger people but people of all ages. It's a place to visit and you don't feel rushed through as it's self paced, everyone is respectful of everyone else and plenty of photo opportunities of places you might not ever get the chance too.
I especially enjoyed learning about the history of the Stanley Cup and himself in the vault and getting to see the Stanley Cup in person is something I would have never got to do, so this was a nice way to end the visit.
Michelle Coomber — Google review
Any hockey fan should visit this place once. The quantity of memorabilia is astonishing. Seeing the history of hockey right in front of you is beautiful. I didn't take many pictures because I was so busy looking at the expo and reading history. You can easily spend 4-5 hours in there.
Sebastien Cloutier — Google review
This place has such beautiful architecture. Great displays, clean, quiet, and calm atmosphere. You can truly get lost in here. Awesome food court in the basement level with a wide variety of foods, extremely clean bathrooms despite how many people must walk through there. It's definitely a place to visit, even if it's once. Worth the trip.
Rayven K — Google review
$25 for adults. You can save on admissions if you have a Presto pass. Worth checking out even if you aren’t big hockey fans. Seeing the original cup in the vault was really cool. $10 for a photo with the cup is a reasonable price, we just took a selfie and saved the money.
As for interactive areas:
There is an area for people to either be a goalie and stop pucks or be a player and try to score on a goalie.
Entrance is on the bottom of the Brookfield Place at one end of the Food Court.

Perfect destination for fans of hockey who want to walk around for a few hours and take a picture with the Stanley Cup. The architecture of the building is also beautiful and fun to look at for people that don’t like hockey.

Of course, the Stanley cup was highlight. But I actually enjoy the history. The displays were all different and really nice. The vault was very interesting and had a lot of history. We thought we just just be an hour or so ended up staying 3 it was that good. Highly recommend.

First visit and impressed with all the memorable!
A little confusing as to where to start as there's numerous overlaps.
Great interactive displays that allow you to be both a player and goalie.

I had a blast here, such an awesome Hall of Fame and a true honor to hockey. Has the humble beginnings of hockey from back in the 1890’s, and brings it forward to the last Stanley Cup Champions Colorado Avalanche. Tons of history, not just NHL, but Olympics, Women’s, Minor leagues and international leagues. Loved the summit section, such history there. The mask exhibit was cool with a nice shout to Plante for being the first to insist on a mask. Plenty of things for kids too, interactive shootouts and also goaltending drills. Had a wonderful time and for $20 or so a person it’s a superb value. The gift shop at the end is also nice, nothing outrageously priced.

Lots of interesting exhibits and definitely a must visit for hockey fans. However, it's not wide or extensive enough to warrant multiple visits over a long period of time. Be aware that the Stanley Cup on display is only a replica.

This place is magical if you're a true fan of the game. It has everything you would be looking for. Interactive attractions, unbelievable memorabilia, all the trophies, a great gift shop, amazing staff, ever changing exhibits, and movies about the greatest game. The Hall is centrally located in the city, and I absolutely recommend buying tickets in advance. There was no wait, but you never know. All kinds of food options are near to make a day of it. This is a must visit attraction for any hockey fan. You won't be disappointed.

Not exactly a diehard hockey fan, but I still found it incredible. It's a one and done deal, with the history of hockey. Seeing the old masks, helmets, TSN desk, and the amount of activities. There's a vault with the rings of teams, and you can even see the bands of old cups, as well as the true cup itself.

There is so much history to see, and so many great stories told through displays, photos, memrobelia, etc.... this place is the holy cathedral of all things hockey. There is history, technical information, interactive hands on activities, movie presentations, the list is limitless. Simply stunning. The trophy room, and ring vault.... Quite literally feels like a church with the stained glass and domed ceiling.... It is impressive beyond description. To be in the presence of so much history is amazing. One of the advantages of Toronto's location on Lake Ontario is its access to the Toronto Islands, a set of 15 interconnected islands just a short ferry ride away from downtown. These islands offer various recreational activities and amenities, including beaches and a theme park. Visitors can enjoy strolling or biking along the five-kilometer network of pathways and bridges that span the islands. Exploring these islands is an ideal day trip option for those looking to escape the city without actually leaving it.
If you are in Toronto then u must not miss visiting this place. It’s a beautiful place, if u are traveling from subway then get off at Union Station , u can either walk or take street car towards the ferry station from Union .
Take a ferry to any of the islands, explore the beauty and amazing scenic views! Best places for your shoots !

A perfect place for day outing. You can take the ferry from downtown and reach the island in 10 minutes. The island has few café, barbeque areas, playground for kids, fast food restaurants and gorgeous beach. There is a gigantic lighthouse on the island. The best way to explore the island is by foot but one can also get the bike rentals. I usually ride my bicycle around the island and it feels very good. The spectacular view at the night of the city skyline is breathtaking. Weekends are busy try to visit on weekdays. The panoramic view of the city is worth the watch.

It's a great place to visit during a sunny weather. It has plenty of areas for picnics, multiple beaches for swimming, and a few landmarks, such as Gibraltar's lighthouse. There's also an amusement park for kids, a small animal farm, and a couple of restaurants. Beware of the pricey food however; it's better to bring your own. All three islands (Centre, Hanlen's, and Ward) are connected to each other. It's best to traverse it using a bicycle (you can rent or bring your own), as it gets tiring after long walks. It's better to arrive and depart from either Ward or Hanlen's, as Centre Island is the most crowded out of the three, unless there's something specific in Centre Island that you'd like to visit first. Using a water taxi is worth the few extra bucks. You can return to the mainland using the ferry for free.

Love this place, the ambience is always pleasant and the views are beautiful. We went on the long weekend of Queen Victoria and I do not recommend it, definitely better to avoid long weekends, during this weekend the waiting times even for the water taxi was way too much, the ferry was taking way too long and the lines were insane. The washrooms lines were also very long. Not worth going on a long weekend but other than that this place is beautiful!

The park is very simple but it’s more than enough for one that is in Toronto. There’s a lot of spaces to do picnic, but you must bring your own food because there are limited options here. Bring your own water as well. There were a lot of people. The ferry heading there and back was full. It was an OK day trip.

This is a must visit spot in Toronto!!!! Do visit here in the summer it’s really beautiful. There are three islands where the ferry will take you. I would recommend to start from the Center Island as it has the most frequent ferries going.
There are multiple food spots all around the island. Activities like cycling, canoeing, boating can be found on various locations! Make note that you will need to walk a lot if you are planning to see the whole place at once.
Also, if you are not interested in night skyline views make sure to leave before 7. We had to wait an hour for the last ferry to pick us up. And trust me it was crowded at the end!! But overall it’s an amazing place to spend time on a good summer weekend.

Also, below is my research about Toronto Islands:
The Toronto Islands are a group of small islands located in Lake Ontario, just a short ferry ride away from downtown Toronto, Canada. They are a popular destination for locals and visitors alike, offering a range of activities and breathtaking scenery.
One of the main highlights of the Toronto Islands is their beautiful beaches, which are some of the best in the city. Visitors can go for a swim, relax on the sand, or enjoy a picnic on the beach. The islands are also a popular destination for boating, offering a range of activities including sailing, kayaking, and paddleboarding.
Another must-see attraction on the Toronto Islands is the lush parkland, which covers much of the islands. Visitors can stroll through the gardens, admiring the lush vegetation and diverse wildlife, or head out on one of the many trails for a hike or bike ride.
The islands are also home to several historic and cultural attractions, including the Gibraltar Point Lighthouse, which is one of the oldest lighthouses on the Great Lakes, and the Toronto Island Park, which features several picnic areas, a playground, and a large pond for paddling.
Overall, the Toronto Islands are a truly special place that offers something for everyone. Whether you're looking for a relaxing day at the beach, a fun outdoor adventure, or a cultural experience, the islands are a must-visit destination in Toronto.

Toronto Island is one of my favorite places in this city that has so many attractions. Getting to the island is easy, you can use the ferry that leaves every 30 minutes and holds a large number of people, or make use of the taxi boats, which leave according to their capacity. Both have staff to assist people with disabilities, especially wheelchair users and families with baby carriages.
The ferry has restrooms, unlike taxi boats which are open (the ferry has restrooms for people with disabilities). The ferry currently costs an average of 10 Canadian dollars and the return is free and taxis cost an average of 12 Canadian dollars.
The island has a great structure for barbecues, picnics, games with children, in addition to the structure of the amusement park (toys are paid). The island still has some swings spread across several areas and the splash area.
There are snack bars and pizzerias scattered around the island, as well as cars and ice cream stands. During spring and summer, many events usually take place (on these days it is worth arriving early and leaving early, due to the queue for the ferry). The structure has restrooms spread across several points, male and female, in addition to family restrooms and bathrooms adapted for the disabled.
A tour that can't be missed by those who live in Toronto and by those who are on a tour.

Beautiful parc, where you can spend literally whole day and you won’t be bored. There’s an amusement park on the island - we weren’t there, but I think that’s a nice place for children. You can take a nice walk, rest on the grass - nice spot to plan a picnic there. There’s a beach and the pier. You can rent a bike. There’s also a beautiful view over Toronto. For me this place is magical, so peaceful an a great place to rest, even to go there alone and enjoy the nature.

One of the must see places in Toronto. You can take a boat or ferry to the island. We took the boat for cad 12.50 when we went and we used the free return ferry on our way back. It would save time if you check the ferry time in advance. The ferry ride was simply awesome.
The view of Toronto skyline from here is amazing. You get the best picture of Toronto from here in my opinion. You should also take the photo from the ferry.
The island has a park for the kids, beach with lifeguards service, yacht docking station, etc there. The place is maintained really well. They have neatly maintained washrooms too.
It is a good place to bring the kids and also a great place to have a group outing too. The park there is a good place for kids to enjoy.
There are swans, ducks, etc too in the water.
However, I was cautioned by others about the rush on long weekends. The parking around the ferry station was cad 20.

It's a must visit place if you live in Toronto or are visiting for a couple of days. It offers a serene escape from the busy routine of city. The ferry ride provides stunning skyline views, and once on the island, you'll find peaceful beaches, lush greenery, and charming cottages. Whether you're cycling along the paths or enjoying a picnic with a view, it's a perfect retreat for nature lovers. The quaint community atmosphere and proximity to downtown make it a year round must-visit destination.
Helpful info-
(1) Recommend booking your Ferry tickets online, it would be much quicker to get in.
(2) The ferry schedule is changed seasonally, so check your ferry's time before making travel arrangements.
(3) while coming back from the island it becomes very crowded in the evening during Summer/fall times. Either leave before 5 PM or leave after 7 PM if you don't want to wait for an hour in queue.
(4) If coming for the entire day, it is better to pack your food with you. Very limited food options available.

Only had 1 day to spend in Toronto and chose to take the ferry across - persona highlight of Toronto! Even in winter season, it’s beautiful to experience the contrast between the island houses, the city and the waterfront. Beautiful sunset views.

Great experience, nice ferry ride from the city to this lovely island, very quiet and peaceful place, we did go in fall tho, may be different for summer time. Nice place for lunch or just to walk around. Could spend a day or few hrs here. There are permanent residents on here as well

I really liked the island!
But it was absolutely not cool to have to wait about 40 minutes for the ferry (in the cold). There were many people waiting. They were limiting the ferry to 50 people because they were short-staffed.

Toronto Island Escape with a Splash of Adventure, the Island offers a refreshing break from the city hustle, and my kayak adventure heightened the experience. Paddling along the scenic shoreline provided breathtaking views of the skyline. Whether you're into water activities or simply enjoying the serene surroundings, Toronto Island is a must-visit for summer. 🚣♂️🌳 #IslandEscape"

One of my favourite places in Toronto to visit! The island is packed with stunning sights of flowers, trees and various little animals that hang around in every corner. The park is well built to accommodate visitors of all types and their needs.
There’s lots to do there, from swimming at the beach to having a picnic. The island is also bicycle friendly so look out for the rental at the end of the walk!
The best way to come is by boat, there’s one that goes every 30-60 mins or so. A benefit t taking the boat at the scenic views of the cities skyline. Make sure to stay until sunset to get the best pictures possible from the park. By the time you wait for the boat it’ll be nightfall which is also the best time to take a look at the skyline with the building lights glowing.

I'll never travel to Brampton without this trip planner again
Heart Lake Conservation Park is an expanse of protected land in Brampton that offers a varied and diverse ecosystem for visitors to explore. The park features scenic trails that wind through the area, providing ample opportunity for hiking and sightseeing. Additionally, there are numerous attractions that provide a unique experience, including zip-lines and aerial ropes courses. For those seeking more relaxed activities, the park also offers splash pads and serene lakeside paths.
Nestled in the Brampton area, it was a pleasant surprise to see the views here. Normally I'm accustomed to the Humber trail, but when we arrived we took about an hour or so to enjoy the first lakeside trail(the one along the tree trekking line). Given that it's both a trail but with activities, I can see myself coming back here again to experience more. Overall the trail was lovely and serene and did not have a large group of people with us at the time. I would genuinely recommend this to anyone else in the area visiting.

A very nice park with amazing and clean waters.
Given the size and how busy this park is, it's kept quite clean. Kudos to the city staff for keeping it this way.
Excellent place for your summer time.
There is lot of things to enjoy ….
Hiking
Fishing area
Picnic
Paddling
Mountain Biking
Bird Watching
Dog Walking
Zipline ..
You can easily spend whole day in summer.
Would recommend.

A remarkably clean and picturesque area that we thoroughly enjoyed. It's perfect for walking, hiking, cycling, and photography. You'll need to pay around $29 per car at the entrance, but don't worry if you're uncertain about which activities to try. There are numerous options available, including a water park, playground for children, and boat rentals and etc. However, there aren't any public restrooms available.

Amazingly beautiful place for long walks! Nature well preserved right in middle of the city with trails going around the water body, surrounded by thick vegetation and tall trees with zip line and treetop walking! The only drawback, the trail is full of mosquitos at least in the summer morning part of the day! We had to quit at one point, it was unbearable!

Went for a family picnic and had a pleasant experience at this park. Heart lake conservation area is an all around park, with something for everyone. There is a swimming pool, splash pads, boating, fishing, long winding trails, picnic site with plenty of pinic tables and shades structures. PS. Washrooms were clean and well maintained.

It was an awesome experience. The conversation park was not crowded. You can enjoy hiking, cycling or exploring trails even by walking. The lake is beautiful and the cool breeze can soothe your soul. There are a lot of points for photography as well and the natural lighting and beautiful nature will add the jinx in your picture. There is a playground for kids, lots of places to sit and hangout with your friends and family. It's a good idea to enjoy your day picnic as well.
Overall it was an excellent experience, one should definitely go and visit this place once.

Very nice and calm place. Not crowded. Awesome trail and treetop trekking is available with zipline. Splash pool is closed due to Covid but lot of greenery. Parking charge is based on number of folks in the car. Had visited it many years back but love the new look and the beautiful scenery

Excellent recreational park with sprawling soccer field, a well maintained nature trail, a gorgeous lake with 3/4 fishing spots, a great option for paid sports like aerial trail and flying fox. Please book tickets online as they are usually sold out for 3/4 weeks ahead. When I visited recently a couple of guys caught 2 Sunfish while fishing, so that's an option you can look forward to. A couple also brought their kid in a stroller which is a great thing for new parents. We saw a badger, snake and a couple of mountain squirrels. Excellent place for avid bird watchers too. Great place to have a family picnic and spend the day. Walking distance from Heart Lake Terminal and serviced by Route 3, 3A, 7, 23 and 2 of the Brampton Transit.

Heart Lake Conservation Area is located in Brampton, which is a fantastic site for family or group events, no matter large or small.
Boathouse fishing and tackle, no license required. Learn to Fish program for beginners, pool and splash pad, picnic areas with benches, fitness trail, Tree Top Trecking/ Zip Line, canoeing and kayaking, cycling and hiking, dog walking, or just a nature walk is fine.
If you are looking for an adventure for kids of all ages, get outdoors and choose your adventure, this is the place. However, you have to pay extra if you want to play those activities. I don't think they will allow for overnight camping over there.
There is a bathroom/change room located near the pool and splash pad. There are stairs to walk down to the Heart Lake where you can find another washroom facility. However, there are porta-potties only in the picnic areas or along the trails.
Several huge parking lots in different areas are available, but you have to pay for general admission.
Passenger vehicle: $24.00
Large van: $42.00
Bus: $300.00.
The Medicine Wheel Garden is organized by the Aboriginal Network, TRCA, City of Brampton, and community groups, a place for healing, celebration, and peace, which is fantastic to drop by.
The breathtaking landscape along the lake is absolutely an oasis for nature lovers. It's definitely a natural beauty for spending a whole day with family and friends.
Would recommend!

Heart lake is a beautiful area, with expansive land for picnics and activities. In addition to the tree top trekking, splash pad and zip lines there were a few small areas to fish, and boat rentals. In addition to the entry fees, all activities have additional fees.
After following the first trail for a few km, it ended, and the only option was to follow the same trail back or make the mistake of diverting to another one and getting lost like we did. We eventually exited into a parking lot 15 minutes away from our original starting point and walked along the road. There are no maps along the trail...only numbered posts which do not particularly help. The trails were long but not very interesting. If you are not interested in the other activities, there is not a lot to see along the trails.

A fantastic touch of nature for the city of Brampton. The park is full of amenities such as exercise equipment, spash pad, tree top trekking, boat rentals, and hiking trails. One of best public park in Mississauga, Ontario. Park is located in one best area on Lakeshore. You will opportunity to see Toronto and Mississauga from a distance across Lake Ontario. I loved coming to this place with my adorable pomeranian dog and this park is huge with a dog park, playground, splash pad, picnic areas, bbqs, beach that offers many great facilities for families and individuals who want to spend time outdoors.
I started walking from Jack Darling Memorial Park towards the west side and it leads you to Rattray Marsh Conservation Area. It offers a unique experience to see critters, birds, plants and walking to the pedestrian boardwalks overlooking the wetlands. It really amazes me to see the beautiful scenery and inhale the fresh air during Spring time. Looking forward to Summer! Yessss!

Huge, clean park in Mississauga for family picnics. The washrooms are clean and that deserves a thumbs up. On weekends the park is pretty full and you have to wait to find a parking spot. There's a kids play area, splash pool, walking trail and lots of picnic tables, to set up your BBQ. It was my first time there and was impressed with the number of times I saw the garbage collected and how well maintained the park is. Definitely worth going again. 👍👍

Quite close to it, Jack Daniels Memorial Park stands as a testament to the legacy of a whiskey pioneer. Nestled amidst rolling hills and lush greenery, the park offers visitors a tranquil retreat from the bustle of everyday life. As you wander along winding pathways, you'll encounter serene ponds reflecting the sky above, benches inviting contemplation, and majestic oak trees providing shade on sunny days. Plaques scattered throughout the park share anecdotes and historical tidbits about Jack Daniels, his distillery, and the impact he had on the community. Whether you're a whiskey enthusiast paying homage to a legend or simply seeking solace in nature, Jack Daniels Memorial Park promises a memorable experience.

Awesome place in Mississauga. A great water shore to rest your evening or to spend it on weekends, fall is an awesome time to visit as there are multiple trees changing and adapting them to fall colors. Benches kept well planned and away from each other so that every one privacy or their peace is not disturbed. Sound of waves on a cold day relaxes all the stress. Huge parking available. Some small water fountains for kids to enjoy and also a beautiful view of Toronto downtown from the shore.

Park is very popular. Has picnic areas, beach and a leash free zone. Toronto skyline with CN tower visible across the lake. Fall colours just setting in. Will look great by next week. Just remember parking can be a challenge and I saw people getting tickets for not parking in a regular spot.

Cool little park with an abundance of grass and tables for family picnics. Expect encounters with mallards, Canadian geese, and swans. Don't be surprised if they come towards you; it seems others frequently feed them so they aren't as wary of people. Also, check out the marsh just 5-10 minutes to the south!

My boyfriend and I came to Jack Darling Park and did some paddling last week. It is very clean and family oriented place. If you are looking for a nice family get together and have some barbecue going on it’s perfect spot for you. Also, big playground a water sprinkler spot for kids as well. Two separate beach sections. Even if you get hungry there’s a nice lady with clean hot dog stand! Also ice cream man comes around too… this park has everything! It is very big and has different areas kinda little bit for everyone.
Please note: If you are coming on weekends come really early to get your parking spot. Park is huge and has 3-4 different lots but they all get filled fast to the point where people park on the Main Street. It gets crazy… or if you have truck come with one so you can park on grass..

Good place for a day picnic with family and friends. Kids love this place. Lots of place to play and run around. Clean and maintained. Lots of outdoor activities and fun. Plenty of free parking. Busy place. Safe and secured.
Very busy public park! We enjoyed the green space and access to the water. Free parking and clean bathrooms made it stand out compared to somewhat similar parks (ie Spencer Smith park). The playground and splash pad were quite basic despite the space clearly being a family destination. So many birthday parties and family gatherings going on. Definitely not a park to go to in the peak season if you want a tranquil, quiet park.
Nature retreat featuring a 400-acre reservoir for fishing & boating, plus trails & picnic areas.
Surrounded by pines trees, stunning footpaths & scenic lookouts, this park is ideal for trail running, cycling or hiking. Amenities near front gate with snack shop & rentals. Ample parking with conservation fees applicable. Even the entrance & exit to the gatehouse is a winding & narrow roadway, lined with gorgeous pine trees on either side. Quiet, quaint & such a delight to the senses! Be prepared for nature amenities on trail hikes and bring refreshments as needed. The waterfront amphitheater is stunning with the lake and forests as the backdrops. With it’s easy access & reasonable park fees, it’s the ideal all year long day trip! Happy trails 🏃♀️

An incredibly beautiful and serene conservation park with lots of scenic views. It has a few short trails and one long Vicki Barron Lakeside trail that goes around the lake. The trails are very well kept and marked for easily navigating around. The main trail is great for walking or cycling but if you want to complete the trail, cycling would be a better choice. There are a few benches along the trail where you can take a break in a relaxing environment and enjoy the beautiful views of the lake. Canoes and kayak rentals are also available in the park, and you can bring your own as well. The lake is also great to go for fishing, you can also have a picnic in the park and bring your own charcoal BBQ grill. There is an entrance fee of $6.5 per person to enter the park. Overall, a great place for a weekend outing.

One of the parking lot was offering boat and kayak rentals as well.
We spent about 2.5-3 hours hiking the main - Vicki Barron Lakeside Trail which is about 8km long that leads you around the perimeter of the lake. Lots of beautiful scenery and stops to make along the way you. Trail was maintained properly. It was totally worth it. Make sure you bring water and energy drinks with you to stay hydrated. It’s a decent long trails with 10-15km walk. I really like the wooden bridge trails between the woods. In winters you can do ice fishing as well. However, people who are planning to visit this place need to wear winter ice gear shoes or hiking shoes as most of trail has ice and slippery.

Well, ticket price is reasonable which is $7 for an adult and 3.5 for children under 14. Several parking lots. The trails are easy to access with strollers and bike. The 8km Vicky Barron is a great loop trail around the lake. It is mostly flat with good views, rest stops, and boardwalks. Should take the average hiker 2 to 2.5hrs.

Island Lake Conservation area is a pretty large park with plenty of walking, hiking, and picnic areas; a large lake for fishing, canoeing, or kayaking. This place is very suitable for hiking, the loop trail around the lake is about 8.7km, the whole trail is sometimes far away from the lake, sometimes across the lake, and most of the trail is in the forest and on the wooden trestle, so it is very comfortable to hiking.
When we went there, it was one of those scorching hot summer day, and we didn't feel any heat or discomfort at all.
There were boating enthusiasts on the lake, anglers on the shore, and many people picnicking in the rest area.
We passed cyclists, dog walkers and families with strollers.
Everything was great.
There were boat rentals and lunch trucks in the rest area, a pit stop.
We parked in a dedicated lot nearby, not next to the reserve, which is about 5 minute walk, is free.

The Rattlesnake Point Conservation Area is a popular hiking and camping destination with a lookout point for sweeping scenic views. The area features well-maintained paths and stunning views of the surrounding landscape, as well as a lush tree canopy, bold-faced cliffs, vast protected space, and glacial deposits. Reservations are required to visit.
Great hiking place with beautiful scenic views. Advance booking is required to visit this conservative area, there is ample parking space available inside. The trails are marked and are easy to hike with young kids, we did see some snakes along the side of the trails though. There are benches available to relax and enjoy the scenic views and areas for rock climbing as well. The picnic areas are also great for relaxing and kids can play in lush green fields. Toilets are available at the begining of the trails. Great spot for a kids friendly weekend outing for exploring nature!

This was a very nice hike. This park is connected to Crawford Lake via Bruce Trail. I recommend wearing hiking shoes. There are a lot of rock climbing spots as well and the hike is very pleasant. I would say it has both easy and medium difficulty trails. All the trails are very well marked with both sign posts and little colored plastic marks on the trees, so you always know where you are. Also the main trails and sub-trails are well marked with the Blazes. Very enjoyable, totally recommend!

Easy to get to. Beautiful during the spring. It was a rainy muddy day so just be careful as the trials are not maintained. Only caveat is that I wish there were more variety of trials and the lookout points more visible. Otherwise, it was lovely and not crowded at all when I went (saturday noon).

About $12 tickets online. 2 parking areas. Nice mixed terrain for hikes, several trails to suit your desired walking distance. Rock climbing possible. Very nice views from the look out points.
Great trails to do barefoot (earthing!) A little rocky in some places but definitely worth it. A very nice pine needle forrest hidden just off the main trail close to parking lot (worth walking through one end to the other if you find it!)
Saw beautiful eastern fox snake and lots of birds of prey.. few mushrooms and squirrels but not much wildlife overall.
A bit buggy in certain areas but overall not many bites. (Visited in August)

Rattlesnake Point located in Milton is one of the well known conservation parks in Ontario. Best time to visit is during spring but just before winter is good too. Various species of flowers blooming and changing colors is a great attraction and treat to eyes and mind. When it comes to hiking and walking, there are 4 trails with good instructions and directions. Crawford lake, Hilton Falls and Rattlesnake Point are known visits in the park. We did the Bruce Trail and enjoyed the overall trail, and a small stream with clear water. Rock climbing is another adventure sport available here. Overall had a great experience, good walk, wonderful sceneries, took some good pictures is the nature. Weather was pleasant but mild cold.

It is a beautiful conservation area and I can’t wait to return back to it and explore some of the trails. The drive to the rattlesnake point is slightly hilly but comfortable and scenic too. There is ample space for parking but I do recommend booking in advance as it is quite popular for hiking and rock climbing. The tall deciduous trees and big Boulder terrain makes this place unique!

Great place to hike and enjoy the beautiful fall colours. Various lookout points thorough out the trails, which gives view of the city below. There are 4 different trails, each with varying length. The trails are not difficult, making it easy to use with kids/ pets/ elderly. Over all it’s a well
maintained & clean conversation area. Personally found the price is a little expensive.

It was a nice day to go get some hiking done. Note to those wishing to go now, it is VERY muddy along the main hiking trails. Be aware when planning. You can expect a good 1.5 to 3 hours for the main trails, very easy terrain. Some segments were very rocky and very uneven, but, that makes it a little more enjoyable. Nice lookouts. Overall a nice experience.

Went outdoor climbing with some friends.
Super easy to register for the reservations, everything is online.
Parking was easy, directions were easy. The hike in was beauty. We stayed for about 8 hours. The weather was excellent.
Access to the Crag was great, good set of stairs to the bottom where the Crag started. Everyone we meet throughout the day (fellow climbers) were really friendly and everyone was practicing good etiquette. Washrooms at the top of the hill next to the parking area we’re clean and easily accessible.
Definitely recommended. Will visit again.
Be well

Beautiful lookouts and well designed trails. Was surprised by the amount of cars in the lot but we still had a quiet and private walk. So happy we bought the Conservation Halton Parks membership!

Breathtaking views of the escarpment here. I’ve hiked this trail (or at least a portion of it) quite a few times and I’m always in awe of the view.
It’s a fairly easy hike from the parking lot out to the Buffalo Craig Lookout but there are two beginning routes you can take. One at the head of trails and the other if you walk right up to the cliff edge. The edge might be slightly more rugged but boy is it ever worth it. If you visit on a nice clear sunny day, it’s truly marvelous.
I’ve never camped here before but it looks like a nice, well maintained place to stay judging from what I’ve seen from cruising through the camping areas.
For hiking enthusiasts, you can actually hike from this trail all the way to Crawford Lake (another great spot). It’s a bit of a trek, but definitely worth it!

A nice trails with a beautiful view. Has lot of nice view points. The difficultness and the elevation can be considered as Medium. This place is so beautiful during the fall. Reservations only and need to reserve a time slot before you go. Park has two car parks and there is an entrance fee depending on the number of people enter in. Has toilets.

This place was absolutely incredible. The view and the walk along the trail was great. We got to see the fall colors at its best and the lookouts located at different points gave ideal viewing spots. I felt that the view from the Buffalo Crag lookout was the best among the ones we visited and it made the hike worth the effort.

Pros: Pretty awesome place to hike. Pretty good workout
Cons: BRING BUG SPRAY!!! Looooooots of mosquitos
Other than I have no complain. It’s worth it. I’m glad I went !!!!

We went on a Sunday and didn't check the weather so it was rainy but it had been raining all week so we had an umbrella just in case and it saved us. Remember to check the weather when you're planning it haha. We saw so many animals, a little baby frog, a mouse, a turkey vulture and a baby bunny. We looked at the caves too but didn't go in since it had rained and it wasn't a good idea. The price for entrance was a big expense for just a walk in the forest so I would recommend doing a whole day of activities to make it worth it.

A conservation area that is not too far from downtown Toronto. It has fine views over the surrounding rural area, especially during the fall. However, it was one of the most crowded hiking experiences I’ve ever had, as it was constantly buzzing with people (and a lot of noises) during my visit. While I’m glad to see people coming out to enjoy nature, it was also not my best experience in nature. The trail was shorter than what I expected (it only took about 2 hours for one of the longer loops) and it was rather poorly marked - for instance, from the large parking lot, there was a lack of signs indicating where the trail starts. I’ve been to better conservation areas in the region.

We went for a trail and its good. There are rock climbing options as well. On on way we saw 4-5 vultures at a close distance. Nice place to relax in the nature.

Great place for a hike whether a quick one or a longer one. You can see the beautiful views from the top of the escarpment and the evidence of the impact of the glaciers on the land. There are steep rock walls to climb as long as you have the right equipment and a nice gazebo for a family picnic. In all, a good place for a variety of activities.

Great trail. Yellow trail does a look back. Access to the Bruce trail. The Rattlesnake trails as wide and packed with light gravel surface. Gorgeous overlooks. Lots of picture opportunities. Parking lot is small and on the weekend you might end up on the grass or side of the road in the park.

Rattlesnake Point is an incredible outdoor experience with a variety of great trails that are well maintained. The scenery is very spectacular, with the panoramic views of the great scenery and the surrounding colorful trees. Whether you're looking for a leisurely walk or a more challenging hike, there are trails suitable for all skill levels. There was a small little river like on the bottom of the hike it was great to see!
However, it was very crowded, especially on holidays and during peak seasons, so arriving early is advised. Also, be mindful of the park's conservation efforts and guidelines to preserve this beautiful natural area as they maintain it very well!
Overall, Rattlesnake Point in Milton is a top tier for a hiking destination offering breathtaking views and an outdoor experience you won’t forget.
FUN FACT: you can go rock climbing here
P.S parking is paid per person and not per car

Nice trial and the view is breathtaking. It took us more than 2 hours to complete the trial. Entry fee is paid per person either online or at the entry. It is preferable to reserve early as the place may be crowded on weekends or in the seasonal time. There is rock climbing too..
The 232-hectare Crawford Lake Conservation Area is an Iroquoian heritage site with a visitors' centre, canyon lookout, and 19 km of trails. The nature preserve is a great place to explore the outdoors on foot in winter or spring, when the small buds on the trails are poking through the snow. In addition to hiking and snowshoeing, there are opportunities for bird watching, skiing (beginners welcome), fishing, and ice skating.
This is a great all season Conservation Area to visit. I bring a camp of kids here several times a year and the kids always have a good time.
There's a lovely path that leads down and all the way around Crawford Lake. Most of the path is wooden boardwalk so it's a nice, easy trek. There is a trail that branches off and leads all the way to Rattlesnake Point! (If you're feeling a long adventure)
The Native Village is always a great spot to visit as well. Great for learning about some of the history of the land and it's Native people. There are three Longhouses, each very different. One is full of old artifacts and left mostly open all seasons. The other contains a small seating area with a screen and a really cool dig site containing several sand pits with fossils and bones buried inside. Great for budding archaeologists! The third longhouse contains a really nicely designed museum.
There's a lot of things to see and do here and would recommend a visit with or without kids!

I used to visit Crawford Lake often when I was a kid, and finally got the chance to revisit after moving away for over a decade. This conservation area is incredible!
I loved the boardwalk around the lake, which felt like a scene from the northern landscape. The escarpment trail was amazing as well, with views of the canyon and birds of prey flying overhead. There is a small visitor centre, as well as longhouses that educate visitors about the area’s indigenous history. I loved the wood carvings found around the park as well!

What a beautiful place to visit! We went on a cold winter day with snow crunching under our feet and had a blast taking photos and videos. It was not very busy, or maybe it’s just so big everyone was spread out. Lots of easy paths to choose from, plus one challenging one we found heading from the lookout to the parking lot. Lots of rocks on that one path. Otherwise it was pretty easy trekking. Highly recommend for a date, family outing, or a solo journey.

Crawford Lake was a nice surprise! The view of the lake is amazing and it was great to spend some time admiring the view and getting in touch with nature. The trails are fairly easy and there is an interesting historical site as well. Also lots of kids. If you are planning to go on the Bruce Trail hiking shoes are a must, otherwise if you are just around the parking it's a nice to have. Also tried their Elk Hotdog, was very rich. The trails are well maintained and well marked.

It was an absolute delight. We saw long houses and took the Crawford Lake trail around the lake. We saw so many colorful dragonflies, butterflies, several fishes, turtles, snake, frogs.and more in just one visit. The breathtaking view of the lake from every angle is to die for and cleanliness is so much appreciated.

If you are looking for a weekend walk that is not only a walk, but also a learning adventure, then Crawford Lake trails is the place for you. You will enjoy the stunning views of the lake and the forest, and challenge yourself with some steep and rocky sections. You will also discover the rich culture and history of the First Nations people who lived in harmony with this land. There exhibits that tell you their stories and traditions, and you will feel like you are traveling back in time. The only thing you need to bring is your own food and drinks, because the restaurant is not open. But that's a small price to pay for such a rewarding experience. I loved it and I'm sure you will too. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The trails that they have put together there coinciding with the natural setting is fantastic and picturesque. I love that the longhouse village has been put up there to teach people about indigenous culture in a good way. It's definitely a place to take the kids and a great place to learn.

Beautiful, sunny day. Breathtaking trails at every turn. Enjoyed seeing the village, as there was lots to learn, and walking around the elevated boardwalk! We went to the loop trail (boardwalk) and did half of the Escarpment trail to see the lookout. As it was winter, there wasn't much to see, but still a beautiful walk there nonetheless. A must see if you're in the area. 🎠😊

Love this park. Register before going! Family friendly, boardwalk around a really special lake, lots of picnic spots, wooden figures around the trails, and lots of beautiful wildlife and trees to look at. There are various trail to choose from, the look out is pretty! Be careful around the trail edges, there is poison ivy in some spots. Long pants tucked into sucks is recommended for poison ivy and tick prevention too. The educational staff are excellent here. There are thousands of kids that come through here with school program. Conveniently located on Guelph Line and close to the 401. Must try!

Beautiful trails and paths. And the lake is the highlight of the visit.
The staff was friendly that we encountered. We got there around 11 and it wasn’t busy. We spent about an hour and a half walking around and it was getting busy around 1230-1pm

I visited Crawford Lake Conservation Area with friends during the fall, and I was captivated by the stunning views and the fantastic loop trails. These trails were particularly enjoyable for us because we had children with us, and a portion of the trail consisted of a wooden path, which added a unique touch to our experience.
Towards the end of our visit, the kids were amazed by the reconstructed indigenous village. It not only provided entertainment but also offered valuable educational insights for everyone.

What a beautiful experience! Came here with friends to do a 1.5km trek but ended up doing a 13.4km loop! Started at Rattlesnake Point along 2-3 other trails until we came upon Crawford Lake. Such a beautiful site! We started in the early morning when it was relatively quiet, by the time we got back to the original starting point, there was a growing crowd of larger groups on the trail. Would recommend buying your passes in advance for smoother entry and exit as that is what we had done. Perfect outing for families, dog friendly and hike lovers alike. Most direction points has a small washroom hut for convenience, Crawford Lake has a visitor's centre where many can rest, access bathroom and change tables for families, snacks, beverages and a quaint little gift shop for memorabilia. Can't wait to return again :)
