What a fantastic bike ride. Definitely worth using the shuttle service provided by Hoodoo Adventures in Penticton to Myra Canyon and making it a full day. Or if you are short on time you can take the shuttle to Chute lake and go from there.
Jennifer Murphy — Google review
Some parts are great but other sections are extremely sandy and impossible to ride your bike.
BC government seems to be very proud of this rail trail and they say it’s suitable for bikes, but the sad reality is they are letting ATVs and motorbikes in the trail, which destroy the the ground. As long as these motorized vehicles keep running in the trail, the ground will become getting worse and worse.
Jorge Belloc Alcón — Google review
Thrilling vistas and wide pathways alongside some private property that hosts some good art and a great view of the Penticton sign
This is the only vineyard you need to visit. Wow. Such beautiful grounds. Owned & run by sister-in-laws. Free tastings & stories told with every sip. These wines are not sold off property so I highly encourage to support this local business after sampling 13 free samples ! We brought 9 bottles! Delicious. Sweet yummy fruity wines ! 🍷

The area and the garden is so nice, but most importantly They have really unique wines. I really liked my experience tasting the wines plus the tasting was complimentary unlike many places where you have to pay to taste. I've been to many wineries in my life but Silver Sage Winery is definitely my number one winery in all across B.C. I highly recommend this place to anyone who like to taste fine wines.
mariya javan — Google review
Delicious, fresh, creative wines! This was the shining star of our day of wine tours. The staff were hilarious (Elena served us) and the grounds were gorgeous. We bought a whole case of wines that all took our breath away. Best place in the valley to stop in for a drink.
O G — Google review
Went for a tasting today and Elena was fantastic! Knew her stuff and had a funny story for each wine we tasted. Not to mention the wine was good too! Will be back soon and highly recommend 😊
Josh Delaurier — Google review
Absolutely amazing service and wines. Our server was hilarious and very entertaining. The wines are on the sweeter side and are all delicious. Highly recommend stopping by.
Grayson Davis — Google review
A beautiful winery off the main highway near Oliver. We were looking for unique wineries, and my girlfriend and I are partial to sweeter white wines. Somebody told us to go to Silver Sage, and we were not disappointed.
We met Elena, an absolute gem of a lady, who shared stories and made this an unforgettable experience. Every one of the wines were so unique to any other I’ve tasted (and I’ve tasted a lot), and we left in awe of not only the opportunity to spend time with Elena (and if the world had more people like her, the world would be a better place), but we walked out with some of the best wines I’ve ever had.
If you don’t stop at this beautiful winery, you are missing out on an unforgettable experience. Thank you Elena and Silver Sage. Simply outstanding in every way.

We enjoyed an incredible wine tasting with Elena, who was such a lovely spirit and host. Just fantastic. Wonderful sense of humour while being incredibly attentive, warm and friendly. A genuine and kind soul who made our experience at Silver Sage one to remember.

This was an amazing experience. The show we got from the woman here was so much fun and we got to taste so many different kinds of wine (no charge) and they were so good!!! We spent the whole weekend going to wineries and this is definitely the favourite for everyone in the group. My boyfriend and I walked out with 8 bottles. Definitely coming back and spreading the word as much as we can!!!
michelle dupont — Google review
This is our number one winery that we bring all our guests to. Elena made this last visit our best one ever. She is so knowledgeable and so entertaining and of course the wines all speak for themselves. An absolute must!
Lisa Wosminity — Google review
Did not do a tasting today as my favourite is the Pinot Blanc but the servers are knowledgeable and I do recommend a tasting. I only purchased some wine today as I was near the area. Always great service! Thanks Silver Sage.
Kirsta Roeske — Google review
I don't even drink wine... But I love this place! They have a spectacular Christmas light display up every year, and they allow visitors until (I think?) 9pm during the month of December. My kids beg to stop here any time we are in Oliver; they love to stroll through all the twinkling lights. I can't even fathom how many hours it must take to get everything set up. They also have a Bed and Breakfast experience if memory serves me correctly. I highly recommend you check these folks out!
Lydia Pedersson — Google review
Outstanding! Knowledgeable! So much fun! Oh and the wine...superb! The service and presentation here is second to none. Corky, who was our host today, is worth the trip in and of itself, and when she asked what we would like to purchase...we'll take one of everything!
Lesleigh Slade — Google review
Wow wow wow!!!
This is without a doubt the best winery I have ever been to in my life. First of all the tastings were free (they know what they have and you WILL want to buy something). Secondly they have 12 wines for you to try, thirdly they are ALL AMAZING! Which I have never ever experienced and I have been to at least 50 wineries. Fourthly Elana was hilarious and knowledgeable. Fifthly the location was beautiful.
Krystal Depp — Google review
We stopped here Saturday morning to take photos of their beautiful roses.
Turned out they were open so we thought why not go in for a tasting.
Elena was amazing.
She was so fun and friendly.
You should definitely go here!
Mark Dyck — Google review
Warm and welcoming experience at this winery. After visiting 4 other winery’s this one ended up on the top of my list. They are instantly welcoming upon walking in the door. They offer a free wine tasting experience that was filled with laughter, jokes and yet very knowledgeable. They didn’t instantly judge you coming in the door as to how rich you were and how much money you were going to spend as some of the other winery’s did. Very reasonably priced wines, very taste worthy, no sulfites in their wines which is hard to find. I give them 5 stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.
Maria Leussink — Google review
Stopped there today and it was amazing. The lady helping us was fantastic. The recipe ideas for the wines were awesome, and I can not wait to try some of those ideas. The wine is amazing and left with few bottles but turned back around to grab a few more. We will be returning again next summer.
Corinna Clark — Google review
A must go if you're in the area. Elena was our server. She was hilarious. Great knowledge of wine and very welcoming. I'm not a red wine fan and this wine has changed me. Will be coming back to buy more. This place is a gem! Keep up the phenomenal work!
mike — Google review
We went there late. We tried. It was after opening hours. We were welcomed by Elena. She is the sister of the owner of the winery. She is absolutely hilarious and a beautiful human being. We didn’t expect to stay but she took the time to make us try all their wines. We had a great time. We will never forget her. Very touching woman… Thank you!
The Nk'Mip Desert Cultural Centre is a conservation and learning center that showcases the desert environment and First Nations culture. Visitors can enjoy theaters, trails, and a sculpture garden while learning about the local flora, fauna, and indigenous history. The center's display areas are informative and engaging with interesting creatures such as rattlesnakes on view. There is also a gift shop stocked with locally made items by indigenous makers at various price points.
They have hiking trails (short hikes), a continuous show throughout the day, and talks about native snakes of the area. Saw a baby snake on the trail. Restaurant, a hotel with an outdoor swimming pool and a winery. I only had one day to explore, will come back again. Very friendly staff and informative.
Stewart P — Google review
Must visit! There is a loop trail, about 30-40 mins walk. Beautiful views and you can meet lots of animals, like deer or rattlesnake (we didn't see rattlesnake but I'm honestly not sad about it).
Maya Jaworski — Google review
This is a must see in Osoyoos, nice trails, great view, and so much to learn. We really enjoyed it.
Ana Lazo — Google review
I visited this place for the second time this summer. Absolutely recommended for adults and families with children. Explore the traditional ways of living of the aboriginal peoples of Okanagan valley. Learn about their history and culture. Walk the real desert and take some scenic pictures. Visit the souvenir shop and support local artists.
There is a large parking available, washrooms and everything you might need. Make sure you arrive no later than 2:30-3pm because the museum closes at 4 p.m. and you might not have enough time.
One thing I would like to mention. There are several information signs that are pretty worn out and faded. This makes self-guided tours pretty limited
Larisa Sviridova — Google review
This was a fantastic place to visit! We enjoyed the displays and the movies, very informative! The rattle snake and other creatures were really interesting to see as well. Loved the outside display areas. The gift shop had a variety of items locally made by indigenous makers. The shop was well stocked with items at different price points. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We really thought it was well worth the visit!

So much fun!! For the trail, seriously don't forget to eat, wear sunscreen, and bring water, a hat, good shoes, and sunglasses... 🕶️
Delena — Google review
This is a beautiful place showcasing local indigenous culture. The seeing is spectacular and the building is beautiful. They have this and other activities at set times, though that may be seasonal. We only had a short amount of time because we arrived late. It is definitely worth a visit though, but arrive earlier to take full advantage, especially if they have events or yours going on. I believe when we were there they were offering guided tours and some kind of snakes thing! (There are snakes in the area including rattle snakes.).

Highlight of my trip, what an exceptional experience. The cultural film was excellent and every turn through the indoor and outdoor displays had my mind blown. The interpretive trail and all the plant signs was beautifully laid out and had gorgeous views.

1000 Rancher Creek Rd, Osoyoos, BC V0H 1V6, Canada
The Osoyoos Desert Model Railroad is a captivating attraction featuring multiple trains running on over a kilometer of HO scale track through a sprawling diorama. The landscape depicts European towns and villages, complete with interactive sensors and scenes that transition into night mode and even simulate thunderstorms. Despite the small size for the price, visitors of all ages can appreciate the intricate details, from quirky hidden scenes to rolling landscapes.
Wonderful attraction. Great for any age. There's so much detail you could go three times and not see everything. The interactive sensors and scenes really help keep the little ones engaged. The whole setup can go into night mode and a thunderstorm too! There's funny little scenes hidden through out. Raunchy, accidents robberies, quaint little towns and rolling landscapes.

Enjoyed by kids and adults alike. Admission fee less than 10 bucks. Well worth the price. Amazing detailed work. Can easily spend 2 hours there. Another good family activity to enjoy other than exploring wineries and wine tasting.

This place is amazing for young and old! We are so sad that it will be closed as of September 7, 2021. If you get a chance to go then definately do it! So worth the visit! We had toddlers and seniors with us and tennagers and everyone loved it. Such a lot of work and detail. Love it!

If you are in the least bit into model trains, you will love this place!! Even my wife who doesn't give a damn about trains, model trains or dioramas was thoroughly impressed and spent an hour looking at and video recording this incredible exhibit that is a lifelong pain of one family!
Check it out!!

Such great work and you can tell it's very well loved and taken care of! We spent a good amount of time looking through all the individual vignettes. Kids will enjoy the little buttons that they can use to animate certain scenes.

Not very big for the price. Just one large room. It was interesting to see but not worth almost $20 for two people. $5 is more realistic for what you get. Nice people. Very clean. Gift shop downstairs was very expensive. Would be nice if it had Air conditioning. We went here to escape the 40 degree heat wave in Osoyoos. It was very hot inside which was uncomfortable.

Not typically my kinda thing to go and see... but 2 coworkers in Alberta told me I had to go, that it was a highlight of their trips into BC. I have to admit, it easily became one of mine too. Very well done. The creators put a lot of imagination and passion into their creation.... and its huge. I'd go back 100%. Also.... look for the nude beach 😝

Great stop we've been to a couple of times. So many details to spot throughout the display and costs 6 of us less than $50 to get in. You can spend as much or as little time in the display as you would like!
Slidewaters is a family-friendly aqua park that showcases a range of thrilling water slides, including mat, tube, and body slides. Along with these exhilarating rides, the park also boasts a floating river and hot tubs for visitors to enjoy. It offers something for everyone, making it an ideal destination for all age groups. Cabanas are available for those who want to spend the entire day at the park from open to close.
This place was so much fun! Went here with my family and we could have not had a better experience! Absolutely loved the place, staff was friendly, rides were fun, food was delicious. Only bad thing about the visit was that we had to wait two hours in line for ice cream, but apart from that it was really fun! We will definitely come here again!

Had a very nice time with my kids. I believe the tickets are well priced and there’s a good selection of water play for age ranges. I suggest bring a blanket and canopy if you do not rent a cabana or pavilion. It does get very crowded and I wish they would limit how many people go in because it was very overcrowded when I went but other than that it was a great experience. I didn’t buy the hot food there, I brought my own snacks and drinks. Looking forward to going the following year.

Fun for all ages and bravery levels. Room to chill on the grass in between sliding. Friendly staff and many lifeguards on duty. Everyone had a blast! Bring your beach towel, sunscreen, goggles, and snacks for a day of fun in the sun and water! Rental lockers available for securing valuables were a great convenience. Lazy river perfect for floating gently without having to do anything 😁😎

We love coming to Slidewaters each summer. Make sure to bring your snacks in soft coolers and buy tickets before arriving to use the express entrance.
Kristi Hronek — Google review
Pretty good experience overall, we went on a weekday in the summer and it was extremely crowded. We managed to find a spot in the grass. The best parts are the small slides and pools for kids under age 5...everything else had long lines. Food wasn't great and the locker rooms were not well cleaned.
Sigourney Shutler — Google review
Yes! Yes! Yes! If you are even thinking of planning a trip, DO IT. Something for everyone. Get a cabana if you can and spend the full day from open to close. You won't be disappointed. That was my only detriment. We didn't get there until 2pm (closes at 7pm), and I would have loved to stay longer. But that's my fault on getting us moving later then I planned. Great food, reasonably priced. We went on a Monday and they said that was their slowest day, so we booked it just right. Rides kept moving, no long lines or awful wait times. Can't wait to go back👍
Jae Blanca — Google review
Water park is pretty fun. It’s a small place, but the price is not cheap! Costs per person are $35. For a family of four people, 4-5 hours is enough to stay. Closes too early, at 7 pm, during short summer days... Wonderful views for social media people. When we got there, smoke was everywhere from the wild fire. You might feel like you are in Mexico when you go to Chelan, nature, people, vibe, and food... Overall, our weekend was fantastic in Chelan!

So much fun for the kids and young at heart. The gift shop is great and has a good selection of items and sizes. They sell powder sugar candy in a tube with lots of flavors to pick from.
M Isabel Badillo — Google review
This place is great for kids and adults. Lately got some expansions: volleyball courts, zip lines, parking lots (upper level), gift shop. These are beside what was already there.
From the experience that we had, it is better to be here on weekdays. On weekends it is really busy. Or to organize in a such way that to have a specific number of people on the property to avoid overcrowding.
The food sold here it is overpriced, you can plan your trip and as well your food consumption.
But being busy playing in the water 💦, hungry is something that you don’t have time for 😉.
Marcel — Google review
Haven’t been here for a long while. The place was very clean and I did really like it that there seemed to be way more parking than years ago. I like all the additions of Lakeside Surf 🏄♀️ and the dual levels of cabanas too! We had a cabana and got to watch some fun volleyball games 😎.
Cindy Baker — Google review
Beautiful views of the lake from this water park. Mostly the park is targeted at children and has indeed mostly families with children visiting. There are plenty of shaded areas to hang and many people bring even tents and set up there for a whole day. There is a 9 dollars discounted ticket starting 3h before closing. Note that for the surfing part you need a separate ticket and it’s better to reserve in advance. There are basic showers on-site. Lockers cost $8 and you can reopen them. They recently added another entrance on the top of the park which also has lockers and is less busy.
Karina Kisselite — Google review
We had a great time at slidewaters! Got there when it opened and could have stayed the whole day! Kids loved having different options of things to do. Kiddie pool, lazy river, slides, tube slides and more. My only complaint was the bees/wasps in the food area. Super difficult to eat and drink when they are flying and climbing around on our food. Otherwise great place! Super fun!
Brittany Conner — Google review
If you have kids and want to enjoy Eastern Washington summer weather, you will love it! There is everything you need for children to enjoy the water slides. Despite its congestion and $30+ entrance ticket, it is worth coming in the middle of the week and spending the whole day in the park.
We came on Saturday and had to wait for ~1 just to get in than spent 10-20 mins in long waiting lines. In addition, we had hard time to find a spot where to sit.
Alex Budchanin — Google review
It's a small place and entry fees is around $30 plus tax.
It offers clean and enjoyable experience. A family friendly atmosphere and for especially to preteen kids. The rides and slides are good for the price. One can spend 3 to 4 hours easily.
I wish it had wave pool and few more adults rides.
The parking is free and ample.
Lake Chelan State Park is a tranquil and well-maintained 127-acre park nestled on the shore of Washington's longest lake. It offers spacious campsites, a boat ramp, and a large dock for visitors to explore and enjoy the crystal clear waters of the lake. The park provides a safe environment where visitors can paddle on the serene waters or simply relax by the shore.
Top 3 Sites I’ve stayed over this summer. Gary and Sarah are excellent site hosts. Kelly at the gate is delightful. I was in spot 35 for 2 nights with water and power for $80. Great value. Fished. Sunned by beach. Fire pit. Each spot is large and private. Dogs and kids everywhere. Huge field with amazing trees. Blue water is gorgeous. Really so beautiful I don’t want to leave. Showers and bathrooms are adequate. Tokens are 2 for $1. 6 minutes. Didn’t use their snack bar. Went across main road for burger and shake. So good. Excellent onion rings. So, YES book early and stay two weeks if you can. The tent sites on side of hill overlooking lake are equally awesome. Beautiful boat docks. Kayakers and paddle boarders everywhere. I’m in love with Chelan.

Nice place for picnic and spending time. I was there December 1st week on weekdays and no one was there around noon, but it surely is some place I’d like to visit again. Plenty of parking. You will need discover pass or you may need to pay, however when I reached there was no one there. The drive from Leavenworth to Lake Chelan is also very beautiful.
Sweety Vats — Google review
A lot of the campsites are crowded, busy, noisy, and lack privacy as they are cramped too close to each other. The sites are very very dusty which would be great for pigs or bison who like to roll around in dirt. You would literally be mud-bathing if it ever started to rain. The sites need more pine needles, bamboo, rocks or something instead of dried up dirt and dust. They do have good token showers where one can wash off the dust and dirt.
The camp is crowded and there are tons of people from the Seattle area. There was lack of respect towards the quiet hours. Randomly, some genius decided to vacuum something at 10:30pm. Then at 11:30pm a loud revved up truck decided that it would a good time to roll over to the beach, that is right below the campsites, to pick up his boat or jet ski.
The best sites are one of the 36-70 sites that are close to the lake although they are still extremely dusty. Good for a night or two during the week since the Twenty-Five Mile Creek campground was closed due to wildfires. I would not want to witness this place on the weekend as it must be packed like a zoo.

I have gone to this camp site every year for 8 years and it is absolutely the most perfect mix of wilderness with the awesome hiking trails, and the commodities that I have grown a custom to as an American, with bathrooms, showers, a restaurant across the st from the park, and by the day park and kids swimming area there Is a little snack shack with floaties, ice cream, and milkshakes, n basically bar food. If u know what that is. Fries, burgers, hotdogs etc. 5 out of 5 for chelan always

I would definitely recommend this State Park campground. My site was perfect and spacious. The showers no longer need tokens, the little beach cafe is open for ice cream, fire wood, ice, and rental services. Staff are on site and friendly /respectable with plenty of great knowledge. There is a water schedule, so please be advised, their grounds are lovely, by the way.I will be coming back.

One of the best lakes in Washington. It was a hot summer day, we were in the water for the whole six hours. Paddleboarding and swimming were fun. The water color is fabulous. It was warm enough to enter the water and enjoy. Only problem, it is always crowded, so parking was difficult.

I always love a camping trip to Lake Chelan every year. This year we are being treated to beautiful foliage. Such a lovely l lake. My dog loves swimming in it even in cool weather. It is great for kayaking. There are great wineries in the area as well. They have a section for RV's. You are fairly close to your neighbor but there are open grassy areas behind you if you are on the left side.

One of the coolest and prettiest places I’ve ever tent camped at. I was there mid week after Labor Day too so it was quiet and not crowded at all. It was a little expensive, almost $40, especially being there by myself, but it was honestly worth it with how clean and well maintained everything was on top of the serene views. I will be back for sure!
Only downside was the No campfire rule being enforced, which of course makes perfect sense and I’m not upset about.

Great spot for camping in lake Chelan. Most definitely requires planning and reserving camp site ahead of time 3-4 months recommended.
There are campsite along water and shared and private ones as well.
It’s paddle board, kayak, kid, and pet friendly. The site has showers and toilet (very clean).
The rangers patrol periodically and answer any questions you have.

Beautiful, safe, calm, well taken care off park. The water is crystal clear. We went towards the end of Sept and as a californian it was too cold to get in the water. My kids did but after a while they too were cold. There was other people paddling on the lake. Bathrooms were well taken care of. Ranger was always on site and even though it was annoying that they would come to quiet us down after 10pm, it felt safe. The camp sites are nice and spacious.
Front Street Park is a small green space with shaded walkways and grassy areas. It offers winter activities such as sledding and tree lighting. Located in the charming town of Leavenworth, known for its Bavarian traditions, visitors can enjoy quaint shops offering unique gifts and an array of pubs stretched along the streets. There are plenty of options for wine and beer enthusiasts to choose from.
Wonderful town center! We watched children sled down the hill on snow sleds, a proposal under the gazebo, and musical performances while waiting for our dinner reservation all in one day.

Great place to be when the holiday decorations are up. You can bring your own sled or buy one from the stores. There are lots of wine tasting or tap rooms for beer and cider, so make sure you reserve some time for those. The sidewalks can get pretty slippery, so be careful. I deducted 1 star because it is almost impossible to find a parking place without having to circle the block multiple times. We ended up parking a few blocks away and had to walk on the icy roads to get here.
Shantanu Saraswat — Google review
No parking which is very a problem, there are signs that say don’t park here in winter time.
Had to just come very early just to not get caught illegally parking. The lights are very beautiful, but it’s very slippery in winter time, I was not expecting to freeze yet but I did eventually had to go to the middle area for heat. I didn’t realize that area with the light has heat. Maybe it’s just light but make sure you don’t fall because I feel two times.

Leavenworth is a beautiful town!
Bonus? This awesome park in the middle of everything!!
Winter is an amazing time of year to visit and I felt like I was right back in the breathtaking state of Bavaria, Germany 🇩🇪 when we arrived. There are countless little shops and eateries to explore. I think the only things missing were Glühwein, Crêpes, and the familiar speech of Hochdeutsch, but that may have been just an oversight on my part. We will be back!

What a nice gazebo in a beautiful and German themed area. I look forward to returning next year.

Nice place to sit and eat ice cream. Nice public bathrooms. Probably the coolest, freshest tasting public water fountain anywhere near the bathrooms. The speakers in the Pavilion were playing modern hits in polka/accordion style. Grandkids had a blast dancing by themselves in the pavilion and running up and down the sledding hill. During the winter we used to drive 3 hours to go sledding on the short bunny hill here, grab a hot cocoa and do the candlelight procession. On our bucket list whenever we visit the Pacific Northwest.

So many Christmas lights and I love it. It’s beautiful in the day time but even better towards the evening because the entire town lights up. The front street park has trees covered in lights from top to bottom. Just a great vibe. There are public restrooms

It was wonderful to watch lightning during Christmas time of the year. Kids had lot of fun at this park in snow. It was overcrowded but still we had lot of fun. Only thing bit annoying is that you have to park 20 minutes away to come by walk to this park. Well the glad part is entire town is lit with lighting so you can be well dressed and walk!

if you want visit here during winter time, car rental will not supply chain for the tires plus shovel are not included. it's worth taking tour bus vs driving up into mountain .. we sure survived drinking espresso for long drive

Our recent trip to Leavenworth, Washington, was an enchanting experience that exceeded all expectations. Nestled in the heart of the Cascades, this picturesque Bavarian village transports visitors to a world of old-world charm, stunning scenery, and warm hospitality.
From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the village's quaint architecture, with its Bavarian-inspired facades adorned with colorful flower boxes and charming storefronts. Wandering through the cobblestone streets felt like stepping into a fairytale, with every corner revealing a new delight to discover.
One of the highlights of our visit was exploring the local shops and boutiques. From artisanal chocolates to handcrafted souvenirs, Leavenworth offers a treasure trove of unique finds that are sure to delight shoppers of all tastes. We particularly enjoyed browsing the Christmas store, where we found a variety of festive decorations to bring home as mementos of our trip.
Of course, no visit to Leavenworth would be complete without indulging in its culinary delights. The village boasts a diverse array of restaurants and eateries, serving up everything from hearty German fare to gourmet cuisine. We savored every bite of our meals, whether dining on schnitzel and sauerkraut or indulging in freshly baked pastries at one of the local bakeries.
In addition to its charming village center, Leavenworth offers a wealth of outdoor activities for nature lovers. We spent a day hiking in nearby trails, soaking in the breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and forests. The crisp mountain air invigorated our spirits, and we returned to the village feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.
Overall, our time in Leavenworth was nothing short of magical. Whether you're seeking a romantic getaway, a family adventure, or simply a chance to unwind amidst stunning scenery, this charming Bavarian village has something for everyone. We can't wait to return and experience its warmth and beauty once again.

This ride was really nice, I'm happy it was open during the winter season. The best experience is to buy your tickets online to go through the line faster. It has great view when you are going down o ly sucks when you have to keep your eyes on the person in front of you so you don't bump into them but it was a nice ride.

Leavenworth is a beautiful place to visit, especially around the holidays. The lights were fantastic, the people friendly and the food excellent!
Waterfront Park in Leavenworth is a peaceful riverside park that offers various recreational activities such as walking and biking trails, play areas, and picnic spots. It's an idyllic destination that features magnificent trees and leaves, which gives it a serene atmosphere. The town of Leavenworth itself is charming with its German-inspired architecture but retains originality to create nostalgia.
Great trail near the river. Flat route. About an hour walk. You should go in a good whether but its nice also on a cloudy day (I was both and both and the difference is noticeable). Highly recommended when you are coming to Leavenworth.

Beautiful park with walking trails next to the river. In March, the ground was compact dirt and not muddy. We went to the playground which was great for older kids 5+ (fewer things for toddlers). Seems to be an easy walk from downtown and is bike-accessible.

Beautiful and easy walk! My soggy doggy and I had a great time. It wasn’t very busy because it was cold and rainy. I imagine in summer it’s packed!

Really beautiful park even for a regular walk. Especially filled with colors during fall. Best time to go to see fall colors is around Sept last week to first week of Oct.

Great little pathway! Especially nice in the winter when there is snow. There is also an area that kids like to go sledding near the parking lot in the end.

Fun beach, swimming, picnicing, trails, playground, free parking in Leavenworth, tubing adventures, in town on the Wenatchee River. Hiking, biking & picnicking. Swimming in the river. Five stars for me Great place for the family

Make sure to include a visit to the enchanting waterfront park during your trip to Leavenworth. It offers a surreal experience, with each season bringing its unique charm to this tranquil spot. It's a quaint and peaceful destination, and our usual routine is to begin at the waterfront park and then stroll into downtown as we make our way back.
A drawback is that the maps are not very informative, making navigation quite challenging for someone visiting for the first time, in my opinion.
Fluffy Foody — Google review
Escape the busy streets of town for a bit and enjoy the view of the Wenatchee River here. Nice trails, can walk over the bridge to cross the river. Gorgeous scenery, the mountains all around us amazed me! Such a neat place to visit!

Waterfront Park is just down the hill from the main street of Leavenworth and provides a nice respite from the bustle of the main drag. There is a nice playground for the kids, plus a nice walking path that goes along the water. Worth strolling down here for some exercise and change of scenery. A sign says to be watchful for bears; we didn't see any. (That's not a complaint!)
Frecky Lewis — Google review
This is the best part of visiting Leavenworth, in my opinion. We walked it for the first time, the first few days of June. There are still flowers and sunning butterflies and dragonflies all over. There is an aproximately two and a half mile loop of mostly flat, gravel path. There are no tables. There were a few benches to sit and rest along the path. We only saw evidence of self-important types who are too good to clean up after thier dog or themselves once...a dog mess and granola bar wrapper dressed the trail as we wrapped up back by the bridge. A trash receptacle was feet away. Dogs are allowed, on leash...but for goodness sake, bring bags and clean up after them. No waste bags are provided along the trail. Bring your own and clean up.
A few other people were there but there were several points we felt alone for a few minutes as well. The view across the river, on the far side from town, is picturesque. There are plaques showcasing the biodiversity and history of the islands creation, which make up this park. There are public restrooms by the bridge, near the begining of the trail from downtown Leavenworth. There is also a neat, if crumbly staircased lookout at the trails fork before the bridge. We chose to go right and cross as going left keeps you directly by town.
It does get hot quickly already, so I suggest visiting before lunch. There is a significantly steep, if paved road to get down before you come to the entrance. Those with mobility issues may have an easier entry from the boat ramp...though the path is gravel and has some bumps.

Very serene, relaxing. The trail felt refreshing and the wildlife were beautiful. The view of the landscape is wonderful and the area provides plentiful chances for photos.

Leavenworth is lovely this time of year and Waterfront Park is the best part of the trip. It was fairly crowded on the weekend of 23 October, but the leaves and trees muffle the sounds and it was so nice and quiet. And the leaves were spectacular. Leavenworth itself is a cute little town. Not quite German but does bring back memories. It's roughly a 2.5 hour trip from Seattle. Take route 2 over 90 and you will see amazing scenery. Be prepared to stop often to take in the views but do watch out for all the crazy photographers walking alongside the road to nab their shots.
A mile of natural stone paths amid hillside gardens, pools & woods. Open seasonally.
Such a beautiful place to view and walk/hike.
Wonderful background on how this came to be!
Definitely will come back in the future and recommend to all family and friends!
The rock benches are the absolute best!! Jaw dropping experience. (:

The amount of work it took to create this little paradise is just astounding. From hauling rocks there, to hauling water to take care of it all. Definitely was a labor of love. It's a beautiful, shady trail that weaves up and down the hill, with nice views of the wenatchee area below. Lots of pretty flowers.

A unique garden built on a hillside. A great place to come on your own for a quiet time of reflection or to read a book tucked into a peaceful area. Bring your friends and family and enjoy roaming the beautiful hillsides. Look for gnomes or sit next to one of the many ponds or roam the hillsides and enjoying the flowers and nature.

Amazing gardens, totally worth the trip. Cool alpine style gardens on top of a sagebrush covered hill. Many things to see throughout the gardens, traveling through the forest you find hidden pools and waterfalls. Amazing spectacular views of the surrounding area and the Columbia river. The flagstone paths are a bit uneven, so grab a walking stick from behind the gift shop if you have any difficulties with balance or walking. Decent shoes for walking too, I wore flip flops and it was not a good idea.

This is a hidden gem. We ended up spending 4 hours relaxing on the various benches and exploring the paths. The views are fabulous. Don't miss the Hobbit Bench! There are several pools with beautiful reflections. Bruce in the office was very knowledgeable and helpful. They even have walking sticks to borrow!

Ohme Gardens Park is a small oasis with lots to see! I was expecting more signage and educational information, and it would have been nice to have water fountains throughout the park for guest use. (Side note - it was 105°+ on the day we were there in mid-July, which made the experience a little difficult to enjoy).
If the weather was better, we could've spent more time exploring the park. The park is mostly made up of stone pathways that lead you through various ponds and views. There are stone benches throughout the park where you can stop and enjoy the view. We saw some birds, a lizard, and lots of goldfish.

Nice view. Good photo spots. Kids enjoyed moving around. The map they gave was helpful.
Not stroller/wheelchair friendly. My friend was able to enjoy the garden by having the infant in a baby carrier
Traditionally Modern Food — Google review
My experience of this garden was colored by our previous (last week) visit to Buchart Gardens near Victoria, BC. While Ohme is very nice, it can't come up to the beautiful garden in Victoria. The paths are very uneven, which adds to the beauty of the gardens. This is not a place that is very accessible to those in wheelchairs.

UNBELIEVABLE! I fell in love with this gem. High up in the hills, this green garden oasis is filled with charm, resting places and peaceful energy. Stone paths wind up and down through the acreage leading to ponds, waterfalls, nooks and benches carved in stone and lush landscaping. Lots of photo opps and you’ll want to capture the views of the valley and mountains. I visited in May; temperatures were ideal and pleasant. Paths very manageable with children who are comfortable with stairs (no wheels).

Nice mom N pop garden....lots of labor of love put into it. Not much glorious color in May mostly ground cover. Got to have good solid feet to mange the very uneve n rock paths
. kind of intimidating in steep paths with no side rails...just be careful no strollers or wheel chairs advised.

I love these gardens. I have a been a few times and this visit was my favorite. Beautiful wildflowers galore. The winding steps through the hillside woodlands, ponds and Alpine setting are enchanting.
Love the history behind this treasure.
On their website you can find the history of the gardens and old photos. Really fascinating to see how the gardens have grown over the years.
Walking sticks available.

Wonderful hiking spot with many easy trails to walk around on. They cleverly placed gnomes and fairy's all around the mountainside so you could try and find them. Amazing views of all the Wenatchee land and river.
Amazing market with plenty of shops and cafes. Our favorite was the honey shop with all the types of Honey and Mead to try. Best place for a Sunday afternoon.
Stephen Ramella — Google review
Love this market and it's stalls. It's a must have visit. However, the COVID has taken a toll here as well. Many ships were shut down. What is surprising is that in this huge produce growing area, there were no fruit, vegetable shops left. Still a good place to but honey, trinkets, eat a wood fired pizza and drink some local brew
Viren Aggarwal — Google review
Visited on a Friday afternoon. Relaxed energy, multiple restaurants offering everything from coffee to pizza. Additional shops selling honey, meats, produce, wine, handmade items and more. Great spot for any meal of the day plus galato. This feels like a smaller version of the Granville Island Market in Vancouver BC. So similar and delightfully familiar. Walk outside and cross the quiet street to the Riverfront Park to enjoy beautiful scenery along the river.

Some cute things that are being sold by vendors in here. Very unique. Upcycled decor in many places. There's plenty of parking and there's also a large lake/body of water to sit by and just enjoy the quiet.

Pybus Public Market is so beautiful! I got to Wenatchee a bit late, which is a lot of stores are closed.
I'll try to stop by earlier the next time around. The atmosphere is beautiful. It's next to the Hilton Garden Inn along the Columbia River.
If you are in Wenatchee, visiting the Pybus Public Market is recommended.

Such a quaint, cozy market! ❤️ It reminds me of Pike Place in Seattle. There’s an array of diverse restaurants & shops bustling with jovial people bonding over a warm meal & a drink 🍝🥃🥗 Sometimes you can even catch a live music session! 🎵🎻 Truly a magical place that is a happy hub for the local community.

Clean and we welcoming. EV charging and a nice mix of culinary and beverage offerings. Tonight was a stop at The Taproom for a cold IPA and a French Dip. Friendly service and good food and beer.

Good place to go for food. Close to the river. The ambience here is perfect. I would recommend dining in one of the outdoor patios. Has multiple choices for food.

The Pybus Market in Wenatchee is a cool place with a modern vibe that houses a meat market, many restaurants, and some cute little shops as well as a bicycle rental company. It was hard to choose but we ate at South with great service and deliciously different food. The fish tacos and dip appetizer were excellent.

Reminiscent of Pike's Place in Seattle or Granville Island in Vancouver, BC, this indoor public market, built in what looks like an old train station (and considering its location, seems likely), is packed with restaurants, specialty grocers, cafes, wineries and boutiques: a little something for everyone. Whether you're looking for a fine wine, a cheese to pair with it, some sliced meats to construct a charcuterie board, fresh honey, olives and olive oil, or just a bite to eat and a cocktail, Pybus Public Market has something for you.
Being from out of town, the Pybus Public Market was one of the first places of interest I spotted in Wenatchee on Yelp, and I knew it was the sort of place that would interest my wife and I. This place is the sort of community hub that takes the best of what a city or town has to offer, and presents it attractively in one neat, concise package, appealing to locals and tourists alike. My only strike against it would be wishing that it was larger, and even more comprehensive!
Jason Van Camp — Google review
Loved the selection of restaurants, wine and beer places, and other shops in this open warehouse. Lots of choices with an open community feel. Sit inside or out depending on weather or wind. Rode our bikes from the Confluence State Park along the fabulous bike trail, about 2 miles mostly level, paved, and no car interactions. Wenatchee has done something very special with the waterfront parks and paved trail along the river connecting downtown businesses with two state parks.

Loved it. Very nice .beautiful and warm inside. Coffee ☕️ shops and Bike Rentals next to the Columbia River.
Scott McCullough — Google review
Bit of a let down. Was (perhaps unfairly) comparing it to Seattle's Pike Place Market (the clue is in the sign) where they toss fish and have artists and street performers alongside an expanse of clothing and jewelry and home decoration vendors. The Pybus Public Market is more like a food court at a large shopping mall. They do have some vendors but overall it was an underwhelming experience. To be totally fair the assortment of food choices was nice.
Stephen John — Google review
A lovely place filled with interesting stores selling balsamic vinegar, honey, cheese etc and an array of restaurants. If you just finished a day on the mountain and are seeking a place for dinner, this is the no. 1 place I'd recommend!
Tyrael Tong — Google review
Small building with a couple of vendors selling soaps, artwork, accessories, bread and jarred pickles. Mostly restaurants. I didn't try the food so I dont know if it's good because we had lunch already but the building is located right next to a riverfront park. Could be a casual lunch spot with a view or walk. I was expecting more local produce, gifts, and baked goods from a "market". I came on a Sunday.
Ivy — Google review
What a creative idea for people to come together. The market has something for everyone from fresh produce to wine! Warmer weather brings out more booths in the outdoor market. Several eclectic restaurants inside along with gelato and coffee. Definitely a place to stop off if you are in the area!

This place is definitely worth walking around. Cute shops and really nice people. Our 3-star rating is based on the fact that we have eaten at 3 different restaurants there and have found them all to be mediocre. Check it out but recommend walking a couple of blocks up the road to eat.
Sprawling winter sports area in a 2,000-acre basin with 4 chair lifts & 36 designated runs.
Great place for beginners, Freedom Pass program exceeded my own expectations. The staff members are amazing, especially the ski school staff. The energy they all give off is contagious, I found myself laughing and joking along with them. By lesson #4 we were all on a first name basis. It's been a great experience and I'm looking forward for next season, thanks Mission Ridge!

Visited Saturday 1/22/22. $105 total all day lift, preferred parking, fees and taxes. After rain earlier in the week, conditions were hard ice with a thin groomed layer. Less than 1/3 of the trails were groomed and they were scrapped down after my first 3 runs. 2-2 chair lifts take you up to a high speed quad and 1 more 2 seat chair. I was impressed by the speed of the quad at 17-18mph but most importantly- it didn’t stop running one time during my visit. I’ve visited other Washington resorts where the quad chairs stop frequently but that’s not the case at Mission Ridge. So despite a line at the lift, it goes by fast. All 2 chairs are old school and you gotta be familiar so with new skiers and kids they did stop but not too much. Be prepared to ride with strangers as they don’t have a social distancing policy on the lifts. I was a bit disappointed to see they let early birds stage equipment at beginning of lift line thereby reserving first in line spot without having to stay with the gear.
Lodge was nice with usual fare usual prices. Bathrooms are clean and good condition except the bathrooms located close to the parking lot. They were fairly run down and unkept. Customer service was very good with every engagement we had with the Mission Ridge team.
Today I was only able to hit 1/4 of blues and greens and one blackD but once the groomed was scrapped it was seriously dangerous. The well traveled skier can easily see the mountain would be fantastic skiing under better conditions. Trails run today. Upper and lower Tumwater, Sun spot, upper and lower lip lip, bomber bowl, toketie, Mimi, and boundary road.

Okay, I’ve been going to mission all season, and I’ve loved it, but the icing on the cake has to be the women’s intermediate and advanced group lessons. I’ve really felt myself strengthen as a skier under the tutelage of Laurie, Sam, Heather, and Anya.
Today, I did what was essentially an individual lesson with Laurie, and it was such an amazing experience. She is so kind, so encouraging, and so passionate about the sport. It really helped me to grow my confidence on off-piste terrain. And she knows the mountain so well, it’s really nice to get to explore things I never would have gotten to see on my own. I really cannot thank her enough. If you get a chance to learn from her, just know you really are learning from the best.

Friendly small mountain vibe. Good length green runs for my little kids to learn on. Most chairs are the old school 2-seaters, but they do have 1 very nice upgraded quad chair lift with conveyor loading and windshields (chair 2) and it's the best - goes to the top for an epic 360 view!

The local ski resort of choice. Gorgeous views, great options for food and beverages, fun activities, super friendly and fun staff. An overall warming experience even though you’re in the cold, snowy mountain valley. Oh and clean bathrooms!!! That says A LOT about how this resort cares about the quality of everything they provide their guests.

Mission Ridge is the quintessential "old school" ski area. People are friendly, service is great, lines are short, grooming is fantastic, and there is enough interesting terrain for skiers of any level. I gave up on ski areas closer to Seattle owned by big corporations and made Mission my primary ski area. Views are pretty sweet also.

Great one if you can stay in Wenatchee for a night. We live in Seattle so it's a bit far as a winter season go-to ski resort. This year the snow conditions in Seattle nearby resorts weren't as good so we wind up here, and we are not disappointed! The place is much less crowded, and when you go up the mountain the snow is very good! It's also just about 25 minutes away from Wenatchee where you can find plenty of food varieties. We'll definitely come back to spend more weekends this season!
My brother and I took the tour here. It was interesting and quite informative. It was quickly obvious that they were giving the tour in order to put wind farms in a positive light. The two young ladies that were working there did a very good job. One of the reasons that the tour was effective in promoting wind farms is because they clearly are a great way to make renewable energy. Seeing them up close only reinforced the positive. I highly recommend taking this tour.

This place was awesome, we happened to be in the area and decided to take the long was home from a concert at the gorge. This was for sure worth the drive, it does seem kind of like a road to no where but very pretty and scenic. We are middle aged and really enjoyed the information and history in the center they have! You get to get up close to the wind turbines and it really puts them into perspective of how big they really are. If your lucky you might even get to watch them climb them. Truly a phenomenal experience and I highly reccomend visiting at least once. The weather was awesome, there were plenty of parking spots, and it was not crowded. We went in the middle of june! It was perfect.

A very good place to see what is a wind farm like and they even have a blade lying on the ground that you can see at very a close distance. A good place to spend a weekend with a little bit of learning and a little bit of hiking. Despite of the strong wind, it may be hot in a sunny summer afternoon. Please add or remove some clothes before the guided tour begins.

Great service, very friendly staff. The food was amazing and the cocktail was so good. I tried the jalapeño pineapple margarita and it was so so good. Never had such a good cocktail before. Great service very friendly staff (Erin, Lauren and everyone who served us were amazing) but the food was just not in par. Except the morrocan chicken dish that was alright, everything else tasted bad and over cooked. They even messed up the oysters by adding a creamy sauce. Wine selection is limited so consider taking your own favorite bottles and pay the fork fees.
Chopped salad sauce was over powering. Chicken was overcooked. Halibut fish tasted bland and over cooked too. With all due respect the chef needs to put more efforts and get some culinary lessons.

I've been here twice and it wasn't as great the 2nd round. Though customer service was great.. got us in last minute. What wasn't great was the meals. It was very expensive. Kiddos didn't like the mac and cheese. The beet salad was the only thing I liked. (King salmon was dry) Husband got a ribeye steak and he said it wasn't quality cut. The truffle fries were ok. Overall - we won't return to eat dinner. Maybe appetizers and drinks.. but that would be another review.

We recently photographed Jordan & Taylor's wedding at Suncadia + Swiftwater, and all we can say is WHOA. This place starts off by grabbing you with the expansive views and stunning lodge, but going through the motions of an entire wedding day, we saw every tiny detail done PERFECTLY. The way this place, alongside Suncadia Resort, executed our couple's vision, was rather incredible to watch. Can't recommend this location and staff enough to host your wedding!

I cannot overstate how beautiful this place is!! Our family came to sled in the back and they were very accommodating to our group. The staff is very friendly, and the food delicious, for adults and the children in our group. The hot chocolate is delicious! The pulled pork sandwich and the truffle Mac n cheese is delicious. The Flatbreads were a decent size and shareable. The chicken strip were the perfect crispiness according to the adults in the group. We got to sit by an open fire and dry our coats while watching a football game. Food is delicious, staff so very kind and friendly. They were happy to tell us where the best sledding is and make us hot cocoas. Thank you Swiftwater Cellars for giving us such a great experience!

The staff is sweet and attentive and the wine pours are generous so you get what you pay for.
The flat breads are delicious ( Brie and raspberry)
SWC salad was delicious and super refreshing. The chicken was grilled so nice.
For dinner we had Gnocchi and and flatbread and again sooooooo delicious and flavourful. Dessert doesn’t disappoint either!

Overall a very good experience. It is a little bit loud in the main dining area but that didn't bother us. There is a choice of outside seating with a beautiful view. Flat bread was one of the best I've had. Wagyu beef brisket was amazing. My wife had salmon which was an off the menu special. It was very well prepared. Our server, after taking our order, was nowhere to be found. It wasn't a problem because other servers were more than happy to bring us what we needed.

Unfortunately this restaurant disappointed on almost every front. The restaurant design is big, open, and very loud. Giant TV for sports. If looking for family friendly, maybe ok, but definitely not for a date night. And prices are very high for a family place.
Food was awful and made us sick. The wine was pretty good, so gave 1 extra star.

What a neat place! The vibes are immaculate, especially with the holiday decorations. We tried the Seasonal and No. 9 flights and loved every variety. The charcuterie was pretty good for the price but the summer sausage felt like a low-value filler. The mushroom and lentil soup was so good as well!! A beautiful winter experience. The staff were all super friendly and the building and bathrooms were very clean. Love that they are dog friendly too! Will definitely be back the next time I’m in the area and will definitely be recommending this spot to my friends and family!

Perfect from beginning to end. The walk from the car is lovely with mining history. The building is just gorgeous. Views are beautiful. Service was fantastic…drinks and food were the star of the show. What a great experience…I’ll be back!

Our waiter told us that they recently added the Chicken Piccata to their menu, and boy am I glad that they did. This was hands down one of the best chicken dishes I've ever had. The chicken was perfectly breaded and the sauce that covered the chicken and potatoes still has my mouth watering.
The group I was with also got a plethora of appetizers, desserts, and drinks which were all outstanding. I personally had the Manhattan which was my favorite (of many) while in Washington for a few days. Can't wait to return some day!
Laid-back brewpub doling out house craft beers in a rustic yet contemporary setting.
Amazing brewery... I first had their beer back in 2009 and been a regular customer since.
I keep coming back because of the amazing, craft beer style brews and the top notch customer service. All three servers: Nevada, Ashley, Claire will go above and beyond to make sure you get what you want and treat you like family/long time friend. I don't think you can go wrong or find a better brewery in the area.
OHHHH and it gets better! They now serve in addition to beer, hard cider and wine!!! So everyone in the group can be happy and find something to match his/her taste.
Check em' out...

Pretty wide selection of beer for on premise and to-go. A nice touch, the to-go beer is just as cheap as you'll find in the grocery store. Nice staff, nice atmosphere, highly recommended if you want a beer. Kids welcome, dogs welcome outside. Free popcorn. Outside food welcome - what little food is for sale here is really just for gastronomic emergencies.

Great beer, great people, fun events, hilarious marketing and an amazing atmosphere filled with happy fans of beer. It’s also kid-friendly with a large outdoor seating area and stage for live music.

In downtown Ellensburg, this is a pleasant pub from a popular Eastern Washington craft brewery.
The place is yellow outside, which is kind of asking to come in. The inside is welcoming and well decorated. There is also a nice patio that is quite enjoyable when the sun is out.
The staff was friendly and knowledgeable about their brews.
The beer was fine. You have a decent variety to choose from and can go for a flight if you want to try several kinds.
The food was the classic fares for this kind of place, was served in good portion and tasted good.
The prices were fair.
Overall a good experience.

The food.and drink here were excellent! The staff was very friendly and brought out our meals and drinks very quickly. The oven was out, so we were not able to order pizza like we intended, but the Mac and cheese and quinoa wrap that we got were very good for not a bad price. We were also able to fill up a growler for cheap. Highly recommend going here for either hanging out for a drink or for good eats

Taproom has been on our list to visit for a while, so glad we finally made it in! Service was fantastic, tried several beers 🍺🍺 and a few of their newly acquired bad granny ciders . The space is cozy and they serve popcorn. They have these cute little coffee tables made out of half kegs! To go beer is available so grabbed a 6 pack for home 👍

Iron Horse is a pioneer to the Ellensburg chanel of local breweries. As most residents know the movement of the older tasting rooms, Iron Horse's current newer location is in their local production facility.
This is a smaller sized public brewery with a nice larger outdoor seating area. Feel welcomed by there family friendly board game filled library.
Kids and pups welcome!
The staff are extremely friendly and thier beer speaks for themselves.
As a reminder, they do not serve food other then their fresh popped popcorn; they are very welcoming to outside meals, so BYOF.

So happy to have a brewery location to stop and enjoy an Iron Horse beer again. The Tap Room has both indoor and outdoor seating, tasty brews, guest ciders, friendly staff and FREE popcorn. IYKYK We'll definitely be back next time we're driving through.

Been wanting to go here for years. Was not disappointed at all. Bartender was awesome, beer was great with a few that are not available in stores. The outside look from the road does not show how great this place is inside. Even has family games and popcorn.

Nice pub in Ellensburg. Great beer, nice food selection. Our favorite beer is Irish Death. It's a dark beer with a really light taste. Lots if seating available, stop in for a quick beer and a bite to eat.
The Yakima Valley Museum is an exceptional museum that offers both education and entertainment. Its exhibits cover the history of the area from a geographical and historical perspective, with special emphasis on Yakama Native American heritage and agriculture. The museum boasts several prized collections including horse-drawn conveyances, early motor vehicles, and a working model of a Depression-era soda fountain. Additionally, visitors can enjoy exploring the unique kids' section that resembles a small town for children to play in.
There is so much more than you think! We had a good time going through the museum. I went in with a 3, 5, and 7 year old. They had a blast! There are interactive exhibits, screens with informational educational videos, and there is also a children’s play area! It is cost friendly and was definitely well worth the trip. There was rich history of Yakima!

Cool place. My wife and I went here for our Valentine's Day weekend. Had lots of fun and took lots of good pictures. The lady up front, I'm sorry about her name escapes me, was very nice and knowledgeable. She found my wife the perfect gift. She enjoys it very much. If you're looking for a fun time on a Saturday, I highly recommend this place.

OK seriously impressed. Well laid out, varied, and interesting all around. A highlight was the working beehive. This is a great local museum! A good size and well layed out. Plenty of interactive exhibits for people of all ages. Come early and enjoy the park as well. Very family friendly! A kid play area downstairs looks like a blast. The center atrium opens the place up nicely. The soda shop was closed when I was there but it looks fun as well! We will definitely be coming back soon!

A big chunk of history available for your eyes to see. There is plenty of parking space available outside, including handicap accessibility. The ticket for adults is $8, available as soon as you enter the museum. They do have restrooms right near the entrance in the front lobby. A nice place for the history buffs. I do not live in Yakima but drove about two hours to get here, definitely worth it.

Don't miss this very enjoyable museum focused on the Yakima Valley. Many interactive exhibits with fascinating information on the geologic history of the valley and region as well as indigenous people, many examples of transportation vehicles, curiosities and attire. Learn more about famous people from Yakima and the kids can enjoy a fun play area in the "Underground". Top it off with some ice cream when the classic parlor is open.

$8 to get in and definitely worth it. Spent about 2 hours here, but easily could have spent 5-6 hours if we would have had more time. So much to see and learn about Yakima and the culture, that made it into what we see today. Had a great time and looking forward to visiting again in the future.

Usually love this place but our visit this past week was very lackluster. I miss the personalized wine introductions, service and even a few crackers to tame the taste buds. Maybe the changes are due to COVID but we’ll probably find a new wine club to join.

14 Hands has consistently delivered high quality, excellent value WA red wine blends for many years. The 2019 Juicy Red is another great example. Syrah based, it serves up complex, well balanced blueberry, dark cherry, black current, mocha and spices. We enjoyed ours during a delicious roast beef dinner. Still youthful for about an hour, it smoothed out nicely for sipping after dinner.

This place is amazing! I read a comment that said the wines are totally different than what is in the store and that is 100percent true. Great wines at a great price. The white cabernet is divine and the charcuterie board has the best cheese I've had in years.

We continue to enjoy going to 14 Hands each time we visit our family in the Tri-Cities so that we may select a few more bottles to bring back home to Napa where we live— we especially love their Cabernet Sauvignon! What we like is that 14 Hands offers a good selection of reasonably priced wines. We also really enjoy the wine tasting experience because 14 Hands has a very nice tasting room, a pleasant and knowledgeable staff, and a large and welcoming patio area— we recommend ordering the cheese plate, which we have found to nicely complement our wine tastings!

Went here for a wine tasting and they were so awesome and so nice that we ended up joining their wine club which has no membership fee. As a result our complete wine tasting was free and the bottle the prices of the bottles of wine were greatly reduced. It's a very nice wine tasting room with a big large outdoor area that wraps all the way around. Besides the tasting room in large outdoor patio area, they have some interesting vintage barnwood displays, an art gallery, and a little store. Employee Cassandra took great care of us and told us so much history of the winery and their different grapes and vintages. We had such a fun time, highly recommend.

We stopped by this lovely tasting room while on a road trip in July 2022, as a respite from driving in the 100°+ heat.
It was a very pleasant experience. The atmosphere of the tasting room is very nice, our tasting guide was wonderful and we enjoyed some unique reserve wines that the winery does not distribute very widely in liquor stores. So, of course, we ended up buying a few bottles. Highly recommended!

Basic gaming floor with slots, poker & table games, also offering a buffet, deli & espresso bar.
A very enjoyable dry casino. Went here for my mother’s birthday, and the blackjack dealer was very friendly and helpful to her, which meant a lot. Same with the roulette dealer the day before. The games are pretty entertaining, with the large majority being slots, but there are some tables to choose from in the middle. The casino smells very clean, and if you are a smoker there is a designated smoking area outside on a balcony. Free sodas of course, and there are a couple food stands and a pretty good buffet to eat at.
Tyler Sampson — Google review
Well I have to agree that you don't have a good time and it's just a good idea to remember that people who are coming in to gamble or to play the slots are not really good for the money you spend.
I hope this helps you find your best plan to making sure that you're guests will not become discouraged by your way of doing business.
You should have a smoking section and a non-smoking
section designated for your guests.
And I believe if you had waitresses to bring water or coffee or sodas so it doesn't interfere with the guests from having to leave a good card table, or having to wait until they lose money on the slot machines.
I will drive to Oregon for a while (overnight). Just to be treated like a winner.
The cost for a room is nothing if your having a good time and you have accommodation.
Drinks, non-smoking and smoking.
And of course you can play cards or slot games without any hassle of getting up to leave for whatever reason.
Karen Wright — Google review
I had not been in since before the remodel and addition of the hotel. Very nice job on that. It was really dark in there which made it a little creepy. The slot machines were very fun. Our favorite was this one with a little devil on it. My husband and I decided to do the seafood buffet. The prime rib was raw. However one employee noticed it and grilled some up but put it right on the contaminated cutting board right next to the raw prime rib. But the rest of the food we had was good. We probably won’t do the buffet again but will try something different there. Security was doing a great job. Couldn’t find where to go get a soda otherwise we may have stayed longer. Overall we had fun.

2nd time coming here, first time was great! This time was a little bit different. The room looks clean but it was very dusty all over. Even the sheets and pillows...never seen a bed with only 3 pillows. Glad it's only one night. So it's okay to stay overnight especially if you're going cherry picking and fruit shopping. It's close to everything.
adonis romotap — Google review
It's much improved. Once so much smoke it was nearly intolerable, and I'm not a smokers snob, but it was bad. It was nice in that respect now, but the slots were super tight, and it is still a dry casino in case you'd like a beer or a beverage. The concert was entertaining, good seats and affordable so no complaints there (we went to see Collective Soul). Also and oddly, they do not "open" the casino until 8 a.m. Not knowing my wife and I went down about 7:15 to play some before we departed and we were intercepted by the security guard who was polite. We're thinking "you all don't want MORE of our money"? LOL We went back to our room and packed up and played on our way out around 830 and as luck would have it recovered about 70% of our slaying from the prior night. haha

No Alcohol, can’t get a drink here. Pool was by reservation only and booked for the weekend! No one in there for the 2 hours I was downstairs. had I know than I wouldn’t have stayed (ruined my kids trip) to top it off I get masks but don’t tell me to pull it up while I am drinking my overly priced coffee. Also would not give extra towels…. Checked out early and won’t be back.

First the rooms.....not bad but beds were a bit too hard for my back. Fridge worked well. Water pressure was good although showerhead was not removable. Now the casino.....when the ATM line is long and the ticket redemption line is non existent....you have a problem. This place is extra tight and if you are playing to win think again because it's not happening here.

Machines were tight. Dropped a lot of $$$ with no pushes, bonuses and no features. Was a disappointment for sure. Maybe my luck was off. Seemed like a nice place at the casino. The town near by was kinda sketchy but where isn't these days. I hope the next visit here will be a bit more rewarding.

The worse experience!!
- told my daughter we checked out 2 days ago
- she was under the influence of alcohol and needed a bathroom and used it where the housekeeper was cleaning up.
- supervisor refused to solve any issues and still claimed we checked out. Meanwhile my mother was standing in front of him and refused to hear her.
- supervisor Steve/Steven did not acknowledge what we had to say and he was always right.
-he barred my daughter and claimed she had a fake name - her father was in the hotel list with the same last name. He failed to check it out. He called the police and had her arrested - still claimed we checked out!!! Failed to check our names. Thank goodness my brother told me she was going to be arrested.
- he was rude mannered and felt as if we owed him an apology
- my daughter left her phone and wallet in her uncles car. She claimed she had to sleep outside.
She walked to the gas station hoping to run into a family member. Because Steve/Steven would not take the time to acknowledge she needed to get a hold of one of us at the hotel.
-she was upset - became argumentative and I do not blame her whatsoever.
-Our room was overlooked twice and I had to let front desk know and they claimed they will get someone in to clean it.
- on the second day of no one cleaned the room. I asked to moved into a clean room. I did let them know my husband could not walk far and the room was further down.
- the bell person stated they should have placed us closer. At least she understood.
- the General manager was not in on Monday morning to deal with this issues.
- Spoke with someone else. He listened but we will see how they handled this matter.
- Our family was here for a memorial for my brother and sister!!! This situation added more stress of the lack of cleansing or felt as we had to be watched at all times.
-some of the staff were not friendly - and messed up the names for the guest in the rooms.
- I am upset how my family has been treated with the worsted hotel experience. I would have expected this from non-Native people(First Nations). But when it is Native American run business I would have expected better.
This was one of the worst experiences my family went through. It did not matter how many times I called in to clean the room or order towels. We were ignored. It was bad enough to go to housekeeping to get clean towels. I even offered to vacuum the carpets.
As for the supervisor Steve/Steven. I heard there was many complaints against him. He was rude and ignorant employee that will cost the hotel business.
For a Native American hotel - I felt I was not treated equal and I am a Native American Indian.
Will this matter get solved?! The ball is in their court.
Q: if this was your experienced what I went through - would you be upset? This is for the General Manager and the owner of the hotel.
Signed by - unhappy customer/stressful
If I could give a “0” rating - that is my rating.

The casino is great, a couple drawbacks are, there are no lounges or any place to get an alcoholic beverage here. I’m pretty sure alcohol is prohibited on the property. :( The coffee shop is awesome though! Great service there and great drinks! The breakfast buffet was also really good. I wish there was more for kids to do instead of just swimming. If they had a movie theater, bowling, or an arcade, that would bring fun for the whole family!! The hotel rooms are really nice except for the bed and pillows. The bed was stiff and not comfortable for us at all. The pillows weren’t very good either, we all woke up really sore. After checking in, we went to our room and there was a “do not disturb” card on the door, and our key wouldn’t open it. They accidentally sent us to an occupied room. We went back downstairs and they quickly fixed it. Overall it was a good trip.

I advised management players being suspicious of team play and possible dealers in poker room aren't playing straight. They need a shuffle machine. Many hands and plays observed over the weekend raised RED FLAGS. Several traveling players are now suspicious of these activities and will put the word out. Beware of thieves at this location.
General attitude of employees working here seem very moody and rude.
General food and restaurant quality in comparison to most casinos of this size , rate it a 2.0
This casino needs to upgrade its food quality and train there people to be more friendly and customer service oriented.
Only 2 dealers at the tables (non poker ) were super friendly
And 1 security lady was very nice.
Everyone else needs to be brought up to new standards.
At this time I can't recommend this location. Save your money and play where you're business is appreciated and the management takes your concerns seriously.

Beautiful view, no microwave in room, and for the price you pay for the room there should be coffee cream and sugar so you don't have to leave room first thing in the morning to get it, we were given 2 coffee pods ,2 tiny power creamer and 2 tiny sugar, not even enough to make 1 cup of coffee and there were 4 people in the room! Couldn't warm baby bottle either due to no microwave. Also do not ingest the tap water, I had to run a sink full of hot water to warm baby bottle and the sink was full of black stuff that came out of the tap! GROSS!! I did like the location and view though!! Rooms were pretty clean.

I live in Las Vegas, so it's not fair to compare. But the casino floor was not very inviting, and it was hard to maneuver around the machines. My wife had fun on one of the machines, but she normally plays video poker, and there isn't any, on the floor. Even the best Casinos in Vegas have kept them around because so many guests love them.
But the restrooms were clean and the machines were clean, but we were early in the day. But no cleaning folks around wiping machines off. Vegas is never without a team cleaning machines off with disinfectant. But it's in a small reservation, so it's probably good enough for the locals there to get their gambling bug fixed.

I had a pretty good time... I enjoy playing the slots as long as I am winning or at the very least stretching out my funds to play longer... An awesome quality of the Legends Casino is a "non smoking" policy on the premise... Makes having fun add up to staying longer... There is a variety of cool and progressive slot machines... It's awesome to take a break once in awhile and let my hair down... Had a great time made a little cash and went home smiling and relaxed.

The room was very nice and clean. However the service was mid tier. The front desk lady was not very kind. When I first checked in she was asking me to pay which I was confused about because I thought I had paid online I was only asking clarifying questions- I wasn’t being rude. She was being very rude and unhelpful. I called the front desk to ask for extra blankets because me and the person I was staying with were freezing and I had already turned up the heat. I was told housekeeping had left and they weren’t able to help me. I really thought this was ridiculous. I know how hotels run and they could have walked their happy butt to a housekeeping closet and grabbed a few blankets for us! I spent a good 1,000$ here at this casino this trip. Disappointed as far as that goes. The seafood boil in the food court here is good though, so is the buffet. Other than being freezing at night and a rude receptionist my first night, my stay has been pleasant.

The show we attended was great and rooms were great. However HUGE disclaimer. This is not only the only non-alcoholic casino I've ever been to, they don't even want it on the property and will take it from you.
I get it, if you don't want to sell it, but to literally steal the fruits of one's labor and do it in the most authoritarian way is a huge red flag.

I like the layout and the atmosphere. I like the selection of games and number of machines. I don't like that half of the machines (the older push button kind, that I happen to prefer) don't work properly. The buttons don't respond when you push them and it's difficult to select a bet. And the other half of the machines (the new digital play panel) have such a high minimum bet that after factoring in the distance out of my way I have to travel to get there, it's almost not worth the time and frustration if I only plan on stopping for a few minutes and playing a little bit when passing through.

On checking in we received a wonderful room very spacious and very clean. The staff was cordial. We had a good time and had a wonderful dinner at the seafood buffet. The staff was very attentive to make sure that our dirty dishes were cleared and that we had plenty to drink. The food was fabulous, even though later in the evening, the crab legs were supreme! The gaming experience was good. Upon checking out the next morning and getting an hour away I realized I had left my Kindle in the room. I called the hotel and the housekeeping staff was able to retrieve it for me. We drove back to pick it up and it was right there with no issues. We would definitely stay here again.
Remote mansion with a diverse collection, including Rodin sculptures & Native American artifacts.
I've been to a few museums over the course of my life, but this is definitely one of my favorites. Definitely small, but the collections they have are of pure quality. Great selection of sculptures, paintings, other visual art, and even interactive exhibits such as a wall where you can draw your own painting and place it with those of other patrons'. I found a lot of lovely pictures to admire and had an excellent time walking around and trying to soak everything in. The exterior of the museum is also beautiful, with an even lovelier view outside.
Service here was top-notch. Every single employee I came across here was friendly and helpful. Willing to talk, or leave you alone, depending on which you want. The security guard saw me circling around a couple of times, and had a short conversation with me to recommend what he thought was the best part of the museum, the ornate chess set collection, and I'm happy he told me about it.
The Maryhill Museum of Art was an excellent deal. Prices for admission are surprisingly cheap! They also have a small gift shop that barely looked like a store, but at least had some knick-knacks and other art-related things that you can buy at reasonable prices. I was happy to provide them with a donation and I hope people will keep doing so for them to keep running, as it's an excellent and enriching service.

I went without knowing what to expect. Every time i tell someone about this visit they seem surprised by the array of exhibit topics. When i went they included queen marie of Romania, the museum itself and its founder Sam Hill (buried on the property but the headstone is not quite easily accessible or well marked), théâtre de la mode, native American objects (disappointed that there wasn't any local native history included), chess sets, and a collection of glass. There's also a very limited sculpture garden. There's also a full size and complete replica of Stonehenge on a fully separate area of the property.
Nick Havens — Google review
All staff were following Covid safety procedures, we and everyone we saw were wearing mask.
This place was very unusual collection of art. The Sam Hill video is a must at the very start so you will understand the whole vibe around this place. A wide gambit of art pieces & history. Like they collected stuff from around the world then dropped it into one place.
Don't miss the hundreds of custom chess pieces in the lower area. The fact this place was to be a home was not surprising due to the rich story of Sam Hill.
The outside art & walking area was very relaxing.
Cafe was closed, but WHO CARES we didn't go there to eat.
We took lots of pictures of the chess sets, because our 26 yr old grandson would love this.
Don't let any negative reviews of this place stop you from checking it out for yourself.
Your family can even picnic here.
LOTS of RV & bus parking

Such a stunning collection of quite a variety of exhibits. Walked in not knowing anything about it and walked out in disbelief at seeing a collection of Rodin sculptures. Had no idea they were there. The other exhibits were all great and definitely worth your time. Truly an amazing, quirky little place.

Did not expect to see such diversity of collections. Very impressive Native American craft collection and well arranged. Interesting Paris after World War II miniature fashion shows.
The Romania folks costumes are impressive. The chess set collection is fun to see. The ground is dotted with sculptures. We spent most morning there. Very interesting architecture with the host, Sam Hill, wanting to have guests sleep on the top deck to see the stars. This museum inspires.

This was a wonderful museum. I would have loved to access the cafe, it was closed. I didn't see any maps on a wall or stand which would have helped ( the star ⭐ you are here, and where you could go next) we had a hand held map, but other maps to verify would be nice. You can take pictures but no flash photography. More places for fans or AC during the hot weather is needed.

I walked out of this place utterly disgusted and disappointed. The main attraction that I came to see was the native artifacts. What I found was a whole lot of evil secret society symbolism and deception. I didn’t post pictures of the top level because it contained dark occult symbolism that does not need to be shared. This is blasphemy to the natives!

Great clean well run museum. Some of the art can be dark for kids but headed downstairs to the chess. They have elevators for those handicapped.

It's been a while since my last visit to the museum. I love the grounds and the building architecture as much as the contents inside. There is so much to experience and see inside with beautiful art, cultural treasures, and history. Writing about everything would occupy a significant amount of time. Suffice it to say that the best way to do Maryhill is simply to visit and experience it for yourself. It is a treasure in so many ways.

This museum is deceptively LARGE... there is so much more here than I expected from the outside. I was impressed with the number of artists and subjects covered as well as the amount of entertaining historical facts available, it was a wonderful, entertaining experience. We enjoyed ourselves wandering all 3 levels of the building and then sat on one of the benches overlooking the river and had a picnic. This is a highly recommended destination.

Huge, beautiful, got to see floor chess pieces, chess sets from around the world, Rodin work, Native American artifacts, fashions from Paris. Impressed with the architecture of the home and doors and bathroom of the era. Free to get in.

I mostly visited this time to see the chess set collection. This is one of the best in the US, with approximately 80 sets on display and in excess of 400 in the collection. There were sets that ranged from mid-19th century Ivory to 2020 3D printed sets. They were given their own gallery in 2019. The Museum is worth the $12 admission just for the chess sets.
In addition to the chess sets, the museum has galleries devoted to items from pre-communist Romania donated directly to the museum by the royal family and a Native American gallery.

The setting for this museum is amazing high on a bluff overlooking the Columbia River with great Mt. Hood views. I particularly enjoyed the outdoor areas with the sculptures and interpretive area. I wish the cafe were open on our visit as it would have been great to hang out on the lower terrace with refreshments.
The Columbia Gorge Discovery Center & Museum is an engaging museum that delves into the history of the gorge, from its formation by cataclysmic floods to the challenges faced by pioneers as they traversed it. The exhibits cover early settlements, transportation in the area, and the impact of dams. The Lewis and Clark wing features a display on animals encountered during their expedition and offers a daily bird of prey educational program with live raptors.
This is a great little museum. If you are a reader of ALL the placards, expect it to take a couple hours or more. However, if you are a “skimmer” this could take an hour. They have a raptor demonstration which is interesting but is mostly talk. Very few of the displays are interactive so kids might get a bit bored. The museum itself is a fine display and in general a clean and functional building. Unfortunately some of the wings in which displays are housed make the order of the layout a bit confusing. Still, it’s a fine museum and I highly recommend it.

Nice museum with some nice set pieces and artifacts. Several videos to watch that can take a while. There was a live kestrel when we went. Outside there is a nice picnic area, but it was quite windy so we ended up eating in the car. Friendly staff. Nice view from here too.

Beautiful facility honoring the history of and around the Columbia River. There is even a gift shop with lots of local treasures - a great spot to pick up unique souvenirs if you're traveling.
Plenty of parking and helpful front desk attendant, as well!

Some really interesting information offered about this spectacular area - especially regarding the fascinating geology. The videos were well done. The treasure hunt was appreciated by our children but the ‘prize’ of a bee sticker was disappointing. Thought quite expensive for what if offered compared to state parks

We hosted our wedding at the Discovery Center. Tiffany and her team were wonderful. Twelve days before our wedding, our prior venue backed out and we were left scrambling. Thankfully, the Discovery Center was available. In less than two weeks, Tiffany and her team helped us prepare the perfect setting for our wedding and reception. The staff were delightful and friendly, they were incredibly thoughtful in helping us sort through all of the details and everything went off without a hitch. In addition to the beautiful scenery and stunning hall, our guests enjoyed touring the exhibits during the reception, and a few enjoyed the quiet of the theatre to escape all the fun of the dance floor. This venue has literally everything you need for the perfect wedding day - including stunning photo locations.

This place is amazing! My son is 3 and wasn't at the age of appreciation of the exhibits but he definitely enjoyed running around. We loved the exhibits. But I definitely have a deep appreciation of the staff, especially Tiffany Bates who went above and beyond for me and my family to celebrate my Mother's life! She and all the staff was so helpful to us, and really just amazing to give us such a proper celebration! We will definitely be visiting again on our travels! Thank you definitely rate 10+ ❤️

This spot is STUNNING. The scenery and discovery center are absolutely beautiful. I loved learning about the raptors and watching the demonstrations with the animals.
The proximity to the bike path was fantastic for exploring nearby restaurants and enjoying beautiful views of the gorge we just learned about. We found an awesome little brewery with amazing food just a few minutes down the path.

Stunning facility and exhibits are incredibly detailed and artistically inclusive! The historical representation includes information from a number of different angles and doesn’t ignore some of the difficult truths. Surrounding scenery is jaw-dropping and breezes off the river are wonderful! Lots of great parking for all sizes of vehicles too :)
Please consider educating your staff on the passport cancellation stamp, and updating the actual stamp: it only goes to year 2021. This is a popular hobby with some people and we tend to nerd-out a bit when we visit locations with this option.
Thanks!

We are Harvest Host members and this was a great stop over in our RV. Large parking lot. Some road noise but didn't bother us, we still got a good night's sleep. Enjoyed the museum very much. Staff was so friendly and helpful. Enjoyed the talk and seeing the 2 bald eagles who are permanent residents there. Views were spectacular.

I like museums in general, so take my excitement with a grain of salt!
This museum was super fun! The sections were mainly dedicated to the PNW and history (geological and human) of the Gorge. I really loved it! These sections covered Ice Age & how it shaped the current day Columbia Gorge, native American history of the Gorge, Lewis and Clark expedition, recreation of little pieces like camera, car, boats, etc. that were once used in this gorgeous Gorge. I easily spent close to two hours here.
They also have a kids section which I didn’t really checkout. I loved the small owl enclosure! There are 3 enclosures, but I could see only one owl. The museum gift shop has some interesting trinkets, many of which seem to be made locally. Do checkout the walkways surrounding the center! There are some great views out at the back!
There is a fee of 9$ for adults. Also, there is plenty of parking at the center!

Not too big museum. Pretty nice, no birds of prey /raptors unfortunaly and the AC was not working, so to me the balance of value for money was not right also for how big the exhibitions are. Exhibitions are really nice although.

This is a company that has been in the business a long time and definitely knows what they are doing. Outstanding customer service, COVID compliant and some of the best guides available. The guide for our day trip was Zach Williams and not once did I question the safety of the hands we were in. Several other guides and rafters we encountered along the trip confirmed it by telling us "He's the best guide out here". Multiple trip options to choose from and the experience will be as tame or daring as you and your group chooses. It was so much fun and the pictures the company photographer took really captured it. My group and I are looking forward to the next one. I could not recommend this business more!

I had never been rafting and was nervous. Especially because we were bringing our 7 year old son. Everything was great. Our guide, Paris, was fabulous with us an our son. She listened to our requests to go easy and it was very easy to follow her commands on the raft. We loved it and will be back. There was another boat in our group that flipped, but they went down a level 4 rapids. If you want to take it chill, talk to your guides before getting on the water. It was a day trip we will remember fondly always.

My family (wife and two teenagers) were excited as well as apprehensive about white water rafting, that is until they met our guide, Kirk. Kirk, his positive energy and high level of skill truly made our trip one to remember. Our son is autistic and while he enjoys adventure, we thought this might be pushing the envelope. Nope. Kirk caught on fast and made sure to help our son feel capable, included and best of all, Kirk made sure Connor had a great time. We can't wait to head back next summer! Hopefully we get Kirk again.

The River Drifters are where it's at. Super fun, outgoing, and entertaining guides. The full day trip in Maupin was amazing. Shout out to our guide Wilson. Thank you for all the laughs, excitement, and memories. Honorable mention to Ryan for not falling off the bus and leading us to a nice drop into the river. I will definitely book another trip with this crew.

We had a great 4 hr trip down the Salmon River with Noah with our family of 4, including two kiddos (13 & 10) some fantastic rapids but still felt safe and prepared with the instruction our guide was giving keeping us posted of when we would need to dip towards the middle and when a big rapid was coming up. The water was cold, but the wet suits and splash jackets provided along with your adrenaline made the trip tolerable...I mean the water to the face will definitely "wake" you up...but its to be expected from the Salmon River. The perfect ending was a jump off a 20' bridge by a nearby area. This was such a highlight as part of our summer trip.

We took our daughter and one of her friends (2 girls in the front of the raft) on the Deschutes full day rafting trip for her 14th birthday. It was both her and her friends first time rafting. Our guide, Dawson, was very experienced, had hilarious dad jokes and stories, and made sure Jocelyn and her friend had an amazing time. River drifters went above and beyond by ensuring we were safe but also making sure everyone on our trip had a blast ! We already can’t wait for next year and will be requesting Dawson again ! Our group was so impressed by our River Drifters rafting trip on the Rogue River. The beauty of the river canyon was breathtaking. Our guides got us down the river safely and took care of all of our needs in camp. It was so nice to have all of our meals prepared for us -- fajitas, pasta, pancakes, deli sandwiches -- everything was delicious! So much of the experience happens off the water and our trip was no exception. Hanging out at camp -- good company and good conversation. Our friends had never been on a rafting trip before and they loved it. We've decided to make it an annual tradition!

Went with some friends and did the 1/2 day on the Clackamas. For some of the group this was a first-time experience and others just the first time on the Clackamas. All of us had a great time. Our guide, Larry, was awesome. He tried several jokes, but we were a tough crowd. He found our interest point quickly however.... got into the wildlife, geology, history and talked about the fires. He was great prepping us for what was to come, and he was a star when we got hung up due to low water. We LOVED the photos and bought them all! Larry and team were great.

I can’t say enough good things about our River Drifters Rafting trip. Friendly, honest, experienced locals that know every inch of the river like the back of their hand. We took our 7 and 8 year olds down the Deschutes River for half a day. It was the perfect mix of fun class 1-3 rapids and smooth floating for them. They absolutely loved it. Thanks to all the staff that take care of every detail to make us tourists learn to love the river like they do. We will return! 💦

I really like this place a lot. They no longer allow you to dig your own thundereggs, but that's great because it's so much easier to let them do the digging @$2/lb. The drive is beautiful. There are so many rocks from around the world. Hard to find (older stock) of jaspers, agate, etc. One could spend all day here and not see all of the rocks. The owners are very nice and knowledgeable people.

They have a wonderful selection of raw stones, crystals, and thunder eggs outside and a very nice collection of tumbled, polished and shaped stones and crystals inside. So glad we took a detour to stop and check it out! Some of my beautiful finds in their new home 😍 they haven't been cleaned up yet, but they still speak to me!
Super friendly proprietors that can tell you all about their items.

It's a smaller casino which is just fine for a quick stop-in to grab a snack & beverage while dropping a few bucks in the machines. It's a nice stop to stretch your legs when heading to and from Central Oregon.

Dirty, run-down facility full of vagrants and many offline slot machines. The main restaurant is rarely open, and the secondary restaurant can be compared to a school cafeteria. It's not worth the stop. Stay safe and keep driving.

They were great about taking temps when entering. Very polite. It was the first time ever stopping here, though we've driven through the little town many times. It's small. And all we seemed able to locate were penny slots. If they have anything else, I apologize. We just didn't see anything else . Convenient cash in machines made it easy to exchange vouchers, and some machines took the vouchers cashed out from other machines. Very convenient.

I have so much fun when I stop by here. It's off of HWY 26 and you really can't miss it. This casino is spacious and easy to get around in. The variety of games and prices are ample. This was my first time at this casino. My fiance and I took a good friend there as a birthday gift and we all had a lot of fun! The inside is beautiful, they have free soda available too. For fun, they should buy at least a couple very old school slots that actually pays out in actual coins. Anyone older than 40 knows the satisfaction of hearing those coins dropping in the bin. This casino is very well layed out, with lots of exciting games. Lots of 1c slots which is awesome. They have days of the week where there are promotions like nifty fifty on Tuesday when we went and we got $20 free play which was cool. That went pretty quick but I did put in $10 in a penny slot and cashed out at $174! First time I've ever won anything. Pretty cool for my first time. But I'd recommend it if you love casinos!

This casino is pretty fun to go to, it's like a kick back and relax, gamble a little bit then go home. It's got a good variety of games. The lady who works at the bonus club was sweet and kind to assist me with my bonus club card multiple times and without losing her cool and just with a smile. The restaurant isn't really the best though but I would recommend the tule bar that is where the good food is.
The restaurant does offer a buffet but it doesn't offer a large variety it's very small.
And the cheese burger I had wasn't the best I couldn't even taste cheese .

This clean and friendly casino provided fun and good food for my wife and I last night. The holiday decor was beautiful. The entire facility was very clean, rest rooms, machines and Tule Grill. We were not hesitant to order food. The bacon cheese burger was good and full of fresh condiments. My wife enjoyed the fries. They did have alcoholic beverages. Some machines didn’t pay much, but we were able to find higher paying machines and walked out with hundreds. We had been to Ilani a couple nights before and didn’t have near the positive experience we had at Indian Head. Small enough not to be overwhelmed. Friendly staff. Clean environment. Good food. Good pays. Good night. We will be back.

Fun lighting inside. Clean bathrooms too. I played the slots here and spent it at the buffet. The buffet is pricey and just OK, unless you are REALLY hungry and will get your money's worth. Better to eat at the shops outside if you are not so hungry. You can usually get Indian Tacos, pretty good and inexpensive.

It's an older casino. Has a late 60's early 70's feel. They offer free coffee, but the soda machines are not working.
We walked into the restaurant and waited to be seated. No one came over. We walked to check out the salad bar and walked away.
We ordered Philly steak and cheese sandwich from the grill restaurant. The sandwiches came on what appeared to be hot dog buns and I counted just two tiny squares of bell pepper and one tiny onion. It tasted microwaved. However the french fries were terrific.
My dad and stepmom love this casino, but it's more for the much older crowd.
I saw a backpack sitting on the bench right out the front door and notified security. They said no backpacks are allowed inside. Just was weird to see a backpack alone. Made me think of the bombs that have gone off while inside of backpacks.

I liked the vibe here. It was cleaner and less noisy than many casinos. Kind of nice to be in a smaller space. Ate at the Tule Grill and had an excellent burger. It tasted flame-broiled.
Artificial lake in a desert canyon, known for fishing & water sports, with campsites & houseboats.
We camped at Perry South campground. Got a nice corner spot next to the fresh water pump. There was plenty of shade. The lake is huge by our standards, and Chinook Island is a great place to spend an afternoon. We caught Kokanee and bass. Oh, and the campsite bathrooms were clean and didn't smell.

Amazing place to vacation. We camped at Crooked River Campground in the Cove Palisades State Park. The campsite was large and the bathrooms were cleaned everyday. Clean showers were a blessing at the end of the day! There was lots of wild life and deer. Hiking trail and small amphitheater area for a large group gathering. AT&T had reception but T-Mobile users were out of luck in camp.
Lots of fun on the water. And grassy tree shaded play area for kids on the bank with protected swim area right next to boat launch. Made it easy to take turns on the water with large family. There is a courtesy dock that was extremely useful. There is a kayak launch too. Great to board kayak roller launch into water easy . There is a marina for fuel and general store for things you forgot( like a case of water) . Lots of opportunity to rent house boats, jet skis and other watercraft.
Would suggest to go to “clear water” where the green water of Lake Billy Schnook meets the fresh mountain river. The water in the river is crystal clear and cold which is a big contrast to the green warm water of Billy Schnook. The rock canyon walls are beautiful. Lava, pressure and time have created works of art. Nature is beautiful. On land I would suggest to visit the scenic look out points. You can see Mount Hood, Mount Jefferson, and the Sisters. ( plus the others in the ring of fire. Don’t know all the names) . We were there 7 days and could have stayed longer.

I went here for a Christian summer camp with my church and I got to meet a lot of new people and make a lot of friends especially kids around my age and some really cool leaders. There were areas where we could go on Shore and hike or walk around if we wanted to we were also able to canoe and swim almost wherever we wanted. We stayed on houseboats and it was a really fun experience to know what it's like to live on a boat and to get closer to God. The only not-so-fun part was the almost a little over eight hour drive but it was still cool because we got to ride the whole way in tour buses that had TVs and USB ports so we have entertainment .I will still definitely be going again next year and making even more memories and strengthening my relationship with God. P. S I just wrote a really long review because I need to level up my tour guide account and to do that I have to make 5 200-plus character reviews.

Wizard Falls Fish Hatchery
Fish farm
I have been visiting wizard falls, truthfully, before I could walk. Every summer I remember my parents bringing me to the hatchery. I was always giddy with excitement and couldn't wait to get my handful of fish food to offer to the fish. Heck if I was lucky, maybe I'd get to feed some geese! 30 years later and they are still working magic at Wizard Falls. I even saw a bald eagle, an osprey, deer, a snake, and a river otter on my last visit! Now with children of my own, I can't wait to share with them the same joys I had (still have) each summer at Wizard Falls.

I've gone here twice and both times I enjoyed it a lot. It was really nice to just walk around and appreciate nature as well as to feed the fish. You can buy some fish food and machines around the place for a quarter. You can also spot an eagle perched at the top of the trees sometimes which is awesome sight. I forgot to take pictures of the actual hatchery, but I took some of the river.

I used to love this place, what happened!? Very little love or care put in to the property, it is not nearly as nice as it was 2+ years ago. The bathroom requirements are ridiculous, considering the number of employees wandering around. No excuses for these absurd conditions, especially when hikes out in the middle of nowhere have stocked bathrooms that are semi-taken care of.
We saw at least 5 employee vehicles, and the 4 employees we saw wandering around were haphazardly feeding the few fish left to look somewhat productive. This fish hatchery used to be second to none. How sad. They want you to bring your own toiletries and cleaning products to use the outhouse porta-potty! And it wasn't even busy. (Oh, and to the person saying there is a store nearby -- the food is terrible. Don't do it. Fast food is better, sadly.)

Awesome educational opportunity. Rain knows her craft. Excellent facility, great professional tour. Nice hiking trail head from facility. Picnic area and clean rest rooms!

The hatchery was on a nice site. We could roam freely along the runs, observing the bigger fish. The fertilizing and nursery were closed.. There was a pond with large fish swimming around that you could feed. The river next to the hatchery was beautiful.

Very beautiful place for a stroll/hike, alone or with family or friends. Place is well maintained, with lots of fish of different stage complete with information boards for your knowledge. Bring a picnic lunch as there are tables overlooking the lake and the view is gorgeous!

Kids and kids-at-heart can get a lot of joy for 25¢ by buying fish food and watching the trout swarm. Also—don’t neglect hiking upstream from the bridge past the falls (yes, that’s the falls by the bridge—apparently they used to be more impressive) on the east bank (parking lot side) because there are beautiful blue, deep pools where the river narrows, not far from the bridge.
John Moore — Google review
Lotta fish! Several concrete holding pens with different size classes of fish. The pond was cool with a lot of big guys! Since it's free, you really can't complain!

Smith Rock State Park is a renowned destination for rock climbing enthusiasts, situated in a dramatic canyon with primitive campsites and hiking trails. It's located about 40 minutes northeast of Bend and is known for its stunning natural beauty. This park offers plenty of opportunities for climbers to scale various rock walls, while hikers can enjoy long walks amidst breathtaking scenery. However, visitors should be mindful of the leash laws for dogs enforced within the park boundaries.
This is such a stunning state park! Pay the $5 for day parking at the machine and then you’re good to go! Lots of hikes and trails available for all levels and an excellent spot for climbing too. Well worth the visit if you are in the area. Dry and rocky climate.

This is an impressive park. We hiked Misery Ridge Trail (in reverse). Instead of going to the right and going straight up, we went to the left and followed the river then went up to the ridge and down the steep part. It was in the 90's when we were there with hardly any shade and the signs posted say to bring water and drink 16-ounces per hour! The trail was difficult in some areas, especially going down Misery Ridge Trail. It is steep and zigzags and you can easily lose your footing and slip. My toes were actually sore and even a little bruised the next day because it was so steep. Using hiking poles would have been a good idea (if I had any). We stopped a lot to take pictures, so it actually took us around 3 hours to do the hike. If we do it again, I would like to go in the spring and start early in the day when it is cool. The views from up top though are amazing! So bring lots of water, where good shoes and bring those hiking poles. There are some flush toilets at the park which is always a plus for me.

An amazing spot for hike - feels like a totally different planet. Pack water and take good hiking shoes (there are some steep bits). Morning is better for pics than the afternoon, but at sunset it’s pretty as well.

A gorgeous slice of Utah in Oregon 😍 the hikes range from easy to moderate and there are tons of spots for climbing. The river is beautiful especially at dawn and dusk as the light moves along the rocks shifting reflections on the water. We saw deer and lots of birds. Everywhere you turn is like a postcard. We loved it and would happily go back

This place appeared on the horizon when driving to Bend, I knew right away I had to get there. It’s EPIC! Lots of long walk and if you’re a climber so much rock walls to climb. One should absolutely go here and I’ll definitely go back someday. Only downside is leash laws for dogs but we’re used to this.

No rock climbers in our group, but our group really enjoyed hiking in the rim and river trails in this beautiful park. The rim trail offers nice views for hikers and non-hikers alike. Wide, flat trails, offer easy access to the river and canyon trails below.
We had limited time there, so we didn't climb the steep, exposed trails to the top of the mountains. Instead we hiked along the river snapping photos of the impressive cliff faces and scads of climbers.
The park was crowded on a cool, sometimes stormy, Spring day, but the trails were never crowded. It's a beautiful place, so I can see why! We'll return to hike over the mountains soon. It will surely be worth the effort.

What a wonderful place to go for adventure. This was my first time visiting this wonder of Oregon.
Please take plenty of water and wear the right shoes. With the combination of altitude and heat. It is easy to become dehydrated and experience heat stroke.
It was amazing to see rock climbers at various stages. Families enjoying the beautiful scenery.
I was able to see an eagle and various wild life.
If you want a place to go to, worth the drive. Plenty of picnic tables and beauty.
Oregon is amazing!!

Truly a gem in Oregon! Nearly everything for an outdoor adventurer to do. Views are amazing. Nice big lots for parking and a turn around with a view point for quick 15 stops or less. Trails are well marked for hiking. The rock climbing is like no other here. Does get pretty hot during the summer months so come prepared (early and lots of water) Common areas were well kept and clean even with a giant yurt for a visitor center. A must see if you are in central oregon.

Visiting from California went for a great unexpected crazy hike but Loved it. If you're looking for a good hike or any type of rock climbing, this is definitely the place. You don't have to climb the mountain. But if you want to take the hike up to the top, it's definitely worth it.

This is a hidden gem in Oregon, which could qualify for a national park in my opinion. Not far away from Bend, it's very convenient with spectacular scenic view. The hiking(Misery Ridge & River Trail) is a little tough but manageable and fun. You will be rewarded once you are on the top. I highly recommend the hiking, this trail going up and around the peaks. The trail along the river is much easier, while the other part goes to the rocks is kind of tough and challenge, so be prepared. This place is relatively hot and dry in the summer, and you need to bring lots of water, hiking shoes are highly recommended. The monkey face rock is amazing, a great place for rock-climbing. You can also see snow covered mountains far away from the top, very gorgeous view and really worth it. There are lots of interesting places, rocks, rivers etc. to explore. The hike could take hours or a whole day.

What a sight to behold! 🥹 A must see with your family and friends. Restrooms/porta-potties in parking lot, and even down in the canyon. Hiking up and down isn't for the faint of heart though. We hiked the trail along the river as we watched several rock climbers scaling the mountains. Grassy area at the base of the canyon to relax before the climb back up to the parking lot. A picnic area at the top to sit and have lunch at. Kids' play area with a small rock wall for them to try. I really enjoyed visiting this beautiful park 🏞️

Beautiful state park and easily accessible. There are lots of different hikes for different levels. Also fun to watch rock climbers at different difficulty levels. Peaceful too.
5 dollars is a bargain. The park is well maintained and clean toilets.

Awesome hike! My wife and I did a party that ended up being about 3 miles, and the scenery was gorgeous. Went about mid day, and although there were plenty of cars in the parking lot and side road, because the area is so large we hardly ran into anybody.
You could spend hours exploring all the twists and turns. You’ll also probably see some rock climbers (experienced and learning)!

Absolutely breathtaking views! We took the lower trail due to medical reasons and my 5 year old son being with us, and it was doable even in the heat of a summer afternoon! Great exercise, fun adventure, and amazing views!

It’s a great place to visit in Oregon. Close from Bend. Hiking trails can be very long. I only tried 2 mile trail though I would like to try something longer. The wall which many people climb, the river, the view, I love it. There are quite a few picnic tables, bathrooms, water faucets, nice place, I have visited 3 times and it does not get old.

We were recommended to visit here. I'm so glad we did. The two easiest trails were beyond beautiful. My four year old enjoyed them as well. Not too many people earlier in the morning, which made it great to stop and explain nature to our son. We were able to walk over a well-maintained wooden bridge with ease. We would definitely come back for another visit with better shoes.

Always spectacular to hike, the colors are amazing. Have to visit in both the spring and fall to see the differences. A truly special place. Words don't do it justice, you just have to go there.

I’ve never felt so unwelcome on a mountain bike even though they’re allowed on all the trails we went on and we used respectful trail etiquette. Probably just the type of people this place attracts from Portland and California. Met some nice Japanese tourist's thought.

One of the most gorgeous hikes I’ve done. The nature it’s just simply beautiful and different from your typical forest hike. This park is very famous for rock climbing fans. Parking is $5dll and it has restrooms.

Very long hike but so worth it. Go counterclockwise on the trail. It’s gonna be rough and steep but it’s short! As soon as you hit the peak it’s smooth hiking all the way back around. If you go clockwise you’ll be going uphill longer (not as steep but wayyyyy longer) and the hike back down would be super steep and kinda dangerous.

A beautiful place for a picnic & hiking or rock climbing! Hikes range from easy to difficult! A photographers delight! Don't forget to stop to look at Monkey Face!

One of the prettiest hikes I have ever done and neatest little river. This is an epic spot easy to see and get to from Mt. Hood highway and from Bend, which is just one of the most beautiful pockets of the country overall. My only regret was coming over here when I was tired, but its one of the most memorable spots I have ever seen.

Beautiful, lesser known part of Oregon. It was fun to see more of the desert side of Oregon and loved the drive in through the canyon. I had a 15 mile race here that kicked my butt, and was grateful for the gorgeous views that motivated me to keep going. I wish the trails were marked a little better, I got lost at one section and had to loop back. Overall a beautiful park and worth the trip.

What's not to like about a cool rock sticking up out of the ground, the remnant of prehistoric cataclysmic events? Add in a meandering river, rock climbing, cycling, and hiking and you've got a sure-fire winner for adventure.
The trails are well-maintained and there are adequate bathrooms at the top (where you park) and also down below (near the river and river trail. The views are amazing.
Things to remember/keep in mind:
The trail can be very steep, including the first section as you head down to the river. If you don't feel confident heading down, you'll feel worse coming back up.
Misery Ridge is named appropriately. Remember, too, that you are hiking at some altitude: you may feel like you're going to die.
The weather tends to change rapidly.
There are rattle snakes. Stay on marked trails and watch and listen where you're going.
Don't leave valuables in your vehicle.

3,000-acre lake in the high desert offering boating, fishing, hiking trails, campsites & cabins.
Stayed in Deluxe Cabin #2 and had a wonderful time. Stargazing is great at night and hiking was good during the day. Fishing was not great but then that’s fishing.

Sites are small and not very private but the campground is nice and clean. Ranger by several times a day if you like that. Camp host has lots of dry wood available for $5. $2 dollara for a shower. Most sites seem to have electric hook-ups and many with water as well. The reservoir level was extremely low March 2022.

***Off-Season RV Review***
Only a handful of sites have full hookups, but the website indicates they all do. Have to dump 2 miles up a very windy road at Jasper Point, and during the off-season the water for flushing is off. Nothing for kids to do (no real trails, no playing areas whatsoever) except swimming during the summer. They do have hot showers and bathrooms, kept really clean, along with good, dry firewood and kindling, as well as ice. Spots are clean, each has a fire pit and picnic table, and most are decently spacious with some feel of a bit of privacy.

Absolutely gorgeous state park. The reservoir is low, but was also frozen over this particular weekend that we went. It was so beautiful at night as the frost was visible and the stars were wonderful! Not completely dark out though, I think the snow had an effect on that. The cabin was clean and cozy. There's a propane grill that we made dinner on and the cabin is very well heated so we slept good even though it was 9° outside. We did have a little bit of signal on our phones too. Rangers were all kind and helpful and there is a small trail right by the cabins. It was an easy hike and we saw tons of tracks from wildlife. We could also hear them clopping around our cabin at night too. Definitely a great place for friends, couples, and families.

Very nice park with beautiful views both during the day and at night. The park was well kept up and the showers had nice private stalls. Everything was very clean.

Beautiful area! So quiet and the sunrise. Not to mention the stars. Amazing!
I do wish the park map had been a little more clear. You have a 50/50 shot at getting a trailer site with a sewer hookup. We didn't, of course Nonetheless, we'd go back in a heartbeat.

Lot of Amenities for people to get out into nature, whether advanced hikers or ada requirements.
Beautiful, open, lots of privacy and space to explore.
Great fishing, we ended up catching a few bass within minutes. Though the second day we went was harder due to heat and a lot of boats.
Seemed clean, clear, and swimmable.

We really like this campground. It is all about access to fun. They have full hook ups for Rv and lots of tent sites. We arrived mid September there were lots of sites available. During the summer months you need to plan ahead this place books up. They have flat paved sites many that overlook the lake. There is a picnic table and fire pit at each site. Sites are large a private.
Nice long dock ramp to launch the boat for water skiing, fishing or just cruising the water. A swim area for splash fun. A very nice fishing platform for access to all.
They have a few cabins for rent as well.

Stayed 1 night in cabin #5. Excellent location! Amazing view of the reservoir from the front porch! Cabin and campground were clean and well cared for. Restrooms and showers were well kept. Central location for purchasing firewood and ice. Showers available for $2 for non registered campers. Staff and park rangers seemed friendly. Dog stations and trash cans at EVERY cabin. Huge thank you for being so dog friendly! Overall a great place to stay. Campsites appeared to be well placed, most with nice flat areas for tents.

Fantastic, well maintained, and well equipped camp ground. The Prineville Reservoir camp sites were clean, had a variety of hookups depending on what site type you book, and had very clean bathrooms and showers available. Not a fisher myself, but heard multiple good reports from the numerous people on the water who were fishing.
The reservoir doesn't feel man-made at all, and it stretches for miles. Lots of wake boarding and kayaking. Water felt nice to swim in as well.
To my delight, we discovered that this camp ground is a recognized International Dark Sky spot, meaning the especially dark sky is perfect for star gazing. They even have an observation spot with telescopes that they will occasionally open to the public on weekend evenings. Very relaxing area, will be coming back again! Reasonably priced as well.

Clean and well laid out park. The deluxe cabins at the main park are great for privacy and view. During the Christmas weekend the water level was low this year and the rest was mostly frozen over. While there was snow on the ground, the park areas were maintained and safe to drive or camp. Hiking in the winter is at your own risk as the ground can have frozen spots. Definitely worth the getaway to disconnect and spend time with loved ones. Late spring and summer are the peak seasons. Make sure to book in advance especially if you want a cabin as they are limited.
